Everything happened so fast. Before all of this, you were Freya Godsblood, princess of Ordamark, and you were the most beautiful women in the land. But everything changed for you, as you've caught the eye of the Dark Lord Lazarus Drack who, seeing you, decided to claim you as his wife.

Now, you're his Empress, the Dark Queen Freya Drack, and your reign has just begun.

Last time, You welcomed your guests for the End-Year Celebration, like the Great Emperor Hagëndorrf and his wife Queen Gwendolyn Victoria Rossamond arriving on the back of a powerful Dragon, as well as Prince Parsifal of Arcadia, arriving with an escort of Elite Paladins of Justice. You used this opportunity to discuss with them a little.

The next day, Laarus came back from his trip, but he only found the remains of Orelliel. It seems that the corpse of his father disappeared. After making sure Orelliel's remains were safe, the two of you talked about several projects for the empire.

Finally, it's the day of the party. After getting ready with all your female friends, you went to the great hall and made your speech with Lazarus and after opening the ball by dancing with your husband, the party officially started. Then Titania asked Lazarus to dance with her, and while they were enjoying themselves you aksed Parsifal the same thing, he accepted and you discussed together while dancing.
>>
On the to-do-list is
1. Have 20 kids (First on will be named Orelliel)
2. seduce waifus(female) and have kids with them (need still work on Irene,Aleanor,Ellisa )
3. destroy the Dark
4. destroy the Light
5. get immortality
6. become a god (maybe?)
7. pet Metraton and Luna
8. pet Rimmirra the green dragon and give him belly rubs
9.buy new toys for our three elfs blindfold and lewd nights?
10.build the navy
11.find out where Queen Helennae is.
12.learn stuff from Luna/ Metraton (magic payment is headpats)
13.get rid of the Grandmaster
14.learn all the languages with Gweyr
15.balance out Lazarus/Tina and Silvis needs :3
16.have a nice girls night out with Ellisa as a thanks next time we meet her
17.learn the way of smugness from our mother
18.open a few new dessous shops but not direct under our name (name A fair Maiden)
19.Start a yoga club for noblewomen with us and Trapezemilf as the yogis
>>
The party is in full swing. Food has been served, everyone dances, eats, drinks and has fun, the servants are working efficiently and the maids provide the services for the guests in a way worthy of the best imperial court. The Royal Guards stand watch, nothing escaping their sharp eyes, and a couple of your spies are hidden just in case.

You told your retinue to relax and enjoy themselves, Silviana and Shelur go together for the food, Irene and Aleanor are talking with the generals, Dillon is dancing with Emelyne, Adeleine and Isabella one after the other while his big sister talk with Ruriska, his parents are dancing while a maid runs after his two little sisters. Murata is talking with a couple of nobles who are curious about him and his culture. Gweyr is with your parents, and they are talking together. You are left with Lazarus, now is the time to mingle with your guests.

You see Titania, the dark elves Matriarch and the wood elves Elder talking together, so you decide to join the conversation with Lazarus. When they see you approaching they all smile.

>"Emperor Lazarus Drack, Empress Freya Drack, thank you for this wonderful party, it's better than last year." the dark elf Matriarch says.

>"We are glad that you are enjoying yourself, and we wanted to have a little conversation with you." Lazarus tells them.

>"Of course my lord, anything for you." the wood elf Elder replies.

>"Queen Titania, as our little city project is going to start soon, where exactly the new city will be builds, so we can plan the road for it ?" you ask.

>"If we follow the initial plan, the forest that go from Loch Arnnach to Voyoba. There is a high population of demi-humans in the forest, but I'm sure everything will be fine. There are also the dwarves in the north, but we won't go into the mountains so there should be no tensions." she answers.

>"Then, I'll impatiently wait for the first settlers to arrive. Dear Matriarch, I know that a number of your people are living in the foreign countries of Tharque, Russland, Aigyptos and the Abbassy Caliphate. The Drack Empire doesn't have direct contact with them, and if possible I would like you to . . . Gather informations in their capitals, so we can learn more about . . . . The culture and traditions of those faraway countries." you inquire.

>"Of course your highness, it would be a pleasure to help the empire in such a fashion. I'll send the instructions tomorrow." she replies with a smile.

>"I thank you for your help and loyalty. I also have a question about our "special" shipment of goods from your city. Is it possible to have 100 000 units every year, to a total of 2 million and have them "stocked" in the Lost Shores just in case ?" you ask.

>"Unfortunately, this won't be possible your highness. We are already using a lot of our "resources" to complete the shipment we gifted to you. After that, the best we could do is 1 000 per month, if that is acceptable for you, we would gladly work on it, we do appreciate your patronage after all." she tells you.
>>
>"I see, it is unfortunate but it can't be helped, I'll think about it and give you an answer in the coming weeks. Now esteemed elder, I need your assistance with a foreign nation. Can you tell me what you know about the Highlands ?" you inquire.

>"It's a group of island north-west of the continent, the southern region is made up of lowlands and hills, where most of the human population called Brittons and Celtans live. It's also highly forested, and a significant number of wood elves live here, they are from different clans than us, and also different from our cousin in the south, one could say that they are closer to nature and Cenurnos than us. Then you have the mountainous northern region, inhabited by another kind of human, the Gaelics. There is also a clan of dwarves called the WildAxe and a relatively small population of trolls." he explains.

>"Interesting. Can you be our ears on those islands so the Drack Empire won't need to fear attacks from them, and help with the diplomacy with the Highlands ?" you ask him.

>"We don't have a lot of contact with our highland cousins, but I'm sure I can manage. Also, diplomacy with the highlands may prove difficult as they don't have a centralised government, they are tribes, clans and warlord fighting among themselves. I'll see what I can do." he answers.

>"It's already more than enough. I want to thank you all again for your help and loyalty to the empire, and I hope that you are enjoying yourself tonight." you declare.

You all cheers and drink. Then, the Matriarch and the elder bow to you and excuse themselves before going to talk with some other guests, you and Lazarus are left with Titania.

>"They managed to have a discussion without insulting each other. It would not have happened 1000 years ago. You are doing something right." she says.

>"I'm doing what I THINK is right, I have some plans and if they succeed the two of them will have more reasons to be happy. Now about plans, it's soon going to be your birthday and . . . " you start.

You get closer to her so only she can hear you.

>"You only gets to be celebrating your 3014th birthday once my lovely pet, so I prepared a present for you unlike anything you ever got." you whisper.

>"Oh ? Then I'm eagerly awaiting for this day to come to see what you have in store for me. Knowing I'm sure it will blow my mind." she replies with a grin.

You leave Titania, and look at your guests. The Great Emperor Hagëndorff and his wife are eating and talking together, you tell Lazarus to refrain from saying something bad as you approach to talk.

>"Your highness, I see that you are enjoy the celebration. Is everything to your liking ?" you ask.

>"Everything is perfect, your servants are really skilled and respectful, I saw servant at some courts of my ow nobility not knowing how to adress a guest. The foods and drinks are excellent and it was good to dance together with my wife." Hagëndorff replies.

>"I deduce that it has been a long time since you danced together ?" Lazarus inquires.

>"You may not believe it but we don't actually have a lot of opportunity to dance together. The weight of responsability mean that you don't have a lot of time together, I'm sure that you understand that, as fellow sovereign." Gwendolyn tells him.

>"I understand perfectly, you surely know that I was away for some times, dealing with some important matters, which mean that I couldn't be with my wife. The time we spend far from each other wrung my heart and I wanted only one thing, to return to her side." Lazarus declares.

. . . And he managed to make you blush again. Queen Gwendolyn chuckles with a smile, visibly amused.

>"How wonderful to see so much love between you two. It remind me of my lord and me when we were betrothed." she says.

>"Love is the most important thing in a couple. Unfortunately, the same can't be say with state affairs." Hagendorff sighs.

>"But we can use this celebration to talk about those matters in a more relaxed and light hearted manners. I actually wanted to talk wiht you about our trade deal. I want to apply some changes." you tell him.

>"What kind of changes are we talking about here ?" he asks.

>"The actual deal is . . ."
= -2 Resources / month
= +2 Agriculture / month
= +5 Heavy Elite armors (for specialized troop) / month
>"I want to change it to . . . "
= +1 Resources / month
= -1 Agriculture / month
= +5 Heavy Elite armors (for specialized troop) / month

>"I see . . . . We indeed need food, but this new deal cuts quite a lot of resources and I believe we should decrease the number of Heavy Elite Armors in the deal. Do you think 3 HEA/ months is appropriate ?" Hagëndorff replies.

Lazarus seems annoyed, but try to not show it. How do you reply ?
>>
>>3590676
>How do you reply ?
3 HEA pre month is ok if we can get the Difference to what it would be normaly produced and delivered to us when we proceed with the normal trade deal, is that ok? Or we could put the traide deal on hold for now if you want.

>". . . .I'm sorry but what you are suggesting isn't in the interest of the empire. We should put the trade deal on hold so we can negotiate properly at a later date." Hagëndorff replies.

>"I'm also really sorry that we couldn't reach an agreement, but don't let it spoil your fun, for now let's forget about it and enjoy the party." you tell him.

You talk with the imperial couple some more, then you and Lazarus excuse yourself. You find Parsifal getting a drink from a visibly nervous but resolved maid, wich make the Prince of Arcadia smile.

>"Prince Parsifal, I hope this party is to your liking." Lazarus says.

>"Quite, I see a lot of happy people, even among those that usually abhors the humans, like the non-humans that I saw among your guests. You managed to ease the tensions between the races, maybe not forever, but enough to build something out of it." Parsifal answers.

>"This is what we want the most, build a future, and you can help us if you want to." you tell him.

>"Really ? Interesting, can you tell me more ?" he inquires.

>"We are building a Cathedral of the Light, so all the believers can bask in the glory of God, and after talking with the Bishop of the Light, we decided that we need faithful men to defend this place of worship. Are you willing to train some paladins for the church of the light in the North ? Around 50 to 120 of them should be enough so the church can defend the Cathedral." you explain.

>". . . . This is a great project for the gory of our Lord in Heaven, and nothing would make me happier than help you. If we have a meeting between the Great Emperor Hagëndorff, Queen Titania, you two and myself, we'll officially make a deal." he replies.

>"Then we'll wait until this meeting, and we promise that it will take place." Lazarus declares.

>"I have no doubts about that, It would pain me to leave before all of us can have a good talk about the future." Parsifal smiles.

>"About leaving, you need to be carefully on your way back, Prince Parsifal. Since it was a secret that you and his highness Hagëndorff were invited, our "annoying friends" didn't know about it. But there might be an "accident" on your way back." you tell him.

>"I thank you for worrying about me, Empress Freya, but I assure you that there is nothing to fear. Our mutual "friend can't do anything to me, it would be too obvious and would show his true side to everyone. So we don't need to fear an "accident." he replies.

Parsifal seems confident . . . Or maybe that what he wants to make you think. He and Hagëndorff never spoke too much about their plans with the Order of the Light, despite how directly involved you are in this whole situation.

After talking with Parsifal, you and Lazarus go to eat, beside, you have a craving for sweet food for some weeks now. As you approach the tables You see all the rulers of the north together. Ellisa, Phillip Turean, Otto Kislev and Roman Vosko are congratulating Sebastian Morebarr for his new title.

>" . . . And that the best way to do it. Since you are young and inexperienced, rely on your advisers. They are here to help you. Do what you believe is right next-Oh, your Highnesses. We didn't see you." Phillip Turean says.

>"Don't worry, we are here to relax and talk among ourselves. I see that you are giving some advice to the young king of Loch Arnnach." Lazarus replies.

>"Indeed, he was the one who asked first. He's confident and intelligent, but lack experience in governing. But it's just a matter of time" Roman Vosko explains.

>"Then I suggest a toast, to celebrate the coronation of a new king of the north, may his reign be prosperous." Ellisa adds.

You all raise your glasses and cheers, before emptying them in one go.

>"Dear sovereigns of the north, with a new king among you, we have to talk about one serious matter. The Emperor and myself had a discussion about dividing the kingdoms of Westteron and Thoreric between Asoevia, Ordamark, Turean and Kiven." you tell them.

All the rulers stop moving and the oldest look at you wide eyed. Ellisa smile, intrigued and Sebastian just look, not knowing what to say.

>"My Queen, you're talking about . . . Dividing Thoreric, one of the oldest, biggest, most prosperous kingdom in the history of the north, and Westteron, while small, another old kingdom full of history." Roman Vosko says.

>"And all of their ruling families are dead, they are no longer kingdoms but land belonging to the crown, and we decided to reward the loyalty of the rulers that were by our side during the rebellion. I believe no one would ever let go of a gift like that." Lazarus grins

The rulers understand what is at stake here, this will give them a lot of power. But for the three old kings, there is also the precedent that this is going to create.

>"I see. Watching over the land for future loyal kings is indeed something we can accept, and the population will have an easier time accepting this explanation." Phillip Turean replies.

>"Then we'll officially initiate the division during a meeting of the Royal Council next week. I want another thing from you. I want you to prioritize the Kings Road in the west of the empire so the first roads might be finished to the Day of the Drack Empire next year. Also we have decided that all kingdoms that have access to the sea will get a port." you explain.

>"It shall be done your highness, we'll gladly follow your orders for the betterment of the empire." Otto Kislev declares.

>"Good. I have another mission for you that don't have direct access to the sea. Sebastian Morebarr, as king of Loch Arnnach you have, with the support of Roman Vosko, the mission to bring the Centaur into the fold of the empire, so we can expand into the east without problems." you tell him.

Lazarus stay with the rulers to talk and you go alone, walking in the great hall. As you are looking around absentmindedly you hear someone calling you, you turn around to see the dwarf Grand Craftmaster with his retinue merrily drinking. You smile and walk up to him.

>"Empress Freya Drack, what a great party it is ! My lads and I are enjoying the appetizers your lovely maids served." he says.

If the great number of empty glasses, mugs and bottles are what he calls the appetizer, the cellar will need to be restocked first thing tomorrow morning.

>"I'm glad that you are enjoying yourselves Grand Craftmaster. If that's not too much, can we talk about some important matters ? I have several questions about the future." you tell him.

>"A dwarf isn't a dwarf if he can't do business and drink at the same time, hahaha. So what can I do dor you my lady ?" he declares.

>"I wanted to know if you have any news on your scouts going for the Volcano Island." you tell him.

>"We finished the preparations, and they are on their way. They should get there next month."

>"I see, then I'll wait for the reports. I also wanted to ask you if you could do something else for the empire beside armors ? Maybe you could help us with the King Roads Project." you inquire.

>"Well, we can help you by setting up industries, we can create siege engine or new weapons for you, if you have anything unusual that isn't magic you can give it to us and we'll try to see if it can be mass produced. We are also he best builders around so any construction will be done faster." he answers.

>"Then we'll see to make this possible, and perhaps this could be the first step to have the dwarves join the Drack Empire as citizens." you say.

>". . . Your highness, I'm going to be honest with you. When we talked about it, I told you that we'll eventually join your empire once we get a hold of the Volcano. I meant it. The reason we want it is because for now we are still dependent on the southern clan, the IronBeard, for rare material. Once we get what we want, we'll officially declare our allegiance to your empire, I swear on the FrostBeard name." he tells you.

-Of how much rare materials do we talk exactly? Maybe the Empire can supply you if it isn´t too much until we have the island. + I want to expand the empire to the east as there is neither the Sea or a other Empire in the way and there are two big mountains ready for the picking.
-Since the navy is a big Project and something like building a Navy form nothing takes time and i want the TOTAL unification of the North as soon as possible.
-Helping to get the Road finished would help tremendous and for something like setting up industries on what Magnitude are we talking about?
-Building a few buck presses would help Gweyr a lot and being able to produce heavy Repeating crossbow for cities and castles defense would be good as well

>"About enough to put a dent in your budget. We can't buy enough and if you buy for us it will cripple your economy, that's how rare the materials are." he replies.

>"Then we absolutely need to control the Volcano. I also have another project that could help you. I want to expand the empire to the east, as there is neither the sea nor another Empire in the way, and there are two big mountains ready for the picking." you say.

>"Ho ho, indeed that will really help us. Mountains are a boon of resources for those willing to dig deep enough. But I must admit, I rarely saw a sovereign so eager to bring all the races of its empire under one banner." he smiles.

>"Since we have some big projects, I want the TOTAL unification of the North as soon as possible. Like the Navy, and something like building a Navy form nothing takes time. >"Thank you Grand Craftmaster. You told me about setting up industries, on what magnitude are we talking about ?" you ask.

>"We are talking about castle sized workshop. Our southern cousins have one, and it can generate a lot of products, and eat up a large number of resources. How do you think Hagëndorff can equips 2 million soldiers in decent armors and weapons without going bankrupt ?" he answers.

>". . . . I see, we absolutely need one. In the meantime, I would like to ask for your best architects because I have something important in the making that need the best of the best." you tell him.

>"Your words make me happy and ignite the pride of the dwarves. You and the Emperor Lazarus are better than any of the other kings of the north of old, that never invested in innovations. I see a great alliance between the FrostBeard clans and the Drack Empire. Why don't we drink to that ?"

The Grand Craftmaster call a maid, and the young girl brings two ENORMOUS beer mug, overflowing with foam. There are several bottles worth of beer inside. The Dwarf take one.

>"To you, my Queen, and to the future." he cheers.

He then drinks is beer and finishes it in one go, he burps then look at you barely fazed by the large amount of alcohol he just drank. It's your turn now and you think about your baby, maybe so much alcohol isn't a good idea.

You take the mug, and start drinking a little, once you had two or three sips you give it back to the maid. The Grand Craftmaster raises an eyebrow, maybe wondering if you are trying to offend him but you quickly give him an explanation.

>"=I'm sorry for not drinking everything, but I have good reason to hold a little back today, so don't take it as an offence. As for the reason you will hear it later today.=" you say in Drawish

The old dwarf goes wide eyed, he didn't expect you to speak his language.

>". . . I see, it must be really important if you can't drink. I'll wait to see this reason then, I'm getting a little curious." he declares.

You talk a little with the dwarf Grand Craftmaster, before excusing yourself and leave to talk with other guests. You see the women of the Council of Roses happily chatting and go to join them. When they see you they all get warm smile, it's been a while since you saw each others.

>"Your highness, how good it is to talk to you after so much time, with the preparations of the Celebration we didn't have a lot of occasion to chat despite being here." one of them says.

>"That was unfortunate but now we are here together. I'm really happy to see you all tonight. Tell me how things are going for you ? I hope you are doing well NyrKostr." you reply.

>"Everything is going well. We had to make some change and upgrade to the castle to house all of us, but we are now settled and here to stay." say a blonde woman.

>"We are actually clearing the outskirt of the Dark Forest so get more farmlands, and the wood is a welcome resource, there is some beast or monster from time to time, but they aren't a problem since we aren't deep into the forest. And your help to build the city means we get more people every day, looking for work and safety away from the wilderness. You have all our thanks for all the help you gave us." another, a brunette, adds.

>"I'm just doing what is right for the people that are loyal to the Empire. About that, how your children are doing in the University ?" you inquire.

>"The change was difficult, but now they are quite happy with their situation. We get letters from time to time, and they seem to enjoy the University." a woman answers.

>"How are things with the Demi-humans and with the collaboration that was started with the former ruler and Roman Vosko ? Still good I hope." you ask

>"Yes, The gnolls in the south and the trolls in the Dark Forest didn't have any problems with the change in governance, in fact I think they really love us compared to the late Robert Illnir. And Roman Vosko was fair and didn't use this opportunity to have us pay from the start." one of the woman answers.

>"I'm glad to hear it, it would be a problem if the projects were delayed. And were there any problems with the nomads on the border ?" you inquire.

>"Nothing, we have hear of some warbands but they are in the south, near the border of Voyoba so we don't have any problem. And even so, we have one of the Legion and our guardsmen, Nyrkostr is safe." another one replies.

>"Then all is good for now. Let's enjoy this party to the fullest without worrying." you smile.

You eat some really good salmon with the women of the Council of Roses, talking about nothing in particular, and before leaving you tell them that you have a surprise for later.

Looking at your guests you spot the Tharque Ambassador. He's making sure to stay as far from Titania as possible, and as you remember how the Queen of the high elves considers the Tharques, he is doing the right thing by staying away. You decide to go talk with him.

>"Dear Ambassador, how are you tonight ? I hope you are enjoying the celebration and that no one was rude to you." you inquire.

>"Yes, all is good, I had the opportunity to talk with some of your guest, some of them were curious about my homeland, as the only knowledge they have come from books. A minotaur that is apparently the tribal chief of his kind in the north actually asked me about Tharque culture, isn't that's quite unusual ?" he tells you

So i listened to people and as it turns out you are doing something in the badlands so i will ask you directly what does the Tharque plans to do or does in the Badlands.

>"Actually there is something I want to ask you, is it possible to buy or charter some of you ships in the next year ?" you ask him

>"For a payment, this is quite possible, for centuries already many merchants and lords we commissioned the services of our ships, both for trade and for escort. When you need it, I'll tell you what kind of ships and how many are available, as well as the price." he answers.

>"Good, We'll discuss this topic when needed. I have another question for you, but this may be a little . . . Sensitive subject." you say.

>"Your highness I can assure you that I can answer anything you want about Tharque." he replies cnfidently.

>"Then, when we first meet and I could see you and your 400 Tharque Legionaries, I wondered how they got so much combat experience. I can see that they are battle hardened veterans and I find it strange. After all, it is an established fact that all that's left of the once mighty military of the Tharque is the fleet, or at least that what is believed. So I listened to some people, and as it turns out, you are doing something in the badlands. So I will ask you directly, what does Tharque is doing, or plans on doing in the Badlands ?" you ask him.

The Ambassador try to stay calm but you can see in his eyes that your words threw him off, he's probably thinking about a thousand reply at the same time. Finally he clears his throat before giving you an answer.

>"Well, it is as you say, our once mighty legions aren't what they used to be, but our soldiers are still as ferocious now as they were centuries ago. The truth is, Tharque still need resources, and we can't depend on foreign powers, so we still maintain several free ports along the northern coasts of the Badlands, and we trade with Aigyptos and the Abbassy Caliphate. Our soldiers fight against raids and attacks from the inhabitant of the badlands, Nomads, Orcs and other monsters of the sands. So while it's true that the Great Tharque Empire is gone, it's power and might is still here." he explains.

So that how a decadent country that regressed on itself can still field experiences soldiers. You also remember that slaves were a stable of Tharque history and those free ports aren't probably for trade alone.

Since you don't have anything more to say, you take your leave from the Tharque Ambassador. You notice the leaders of the three big religion of your empire. You go speak to the Bishop of the Light first.

>"Your Excellency, I'm glad that you are here with us tonight. I hope everything is going well." your say.

>"Everything is fine, Empress Freya. I have to thank you for inviting me, it is important for the words of God to be spread even among the higher level of society. This party is a perfect opportunity to preac about the past year and pray for the coming one. The Light's work is never done." the Bishop replies.

>"Well, I may soon have something to help you with that. Something to help defend the Cathedral once it's finished." you tell him.

>"Your highness, don't you mean . . ." he starts.

>"You'll see once it's ready, but I can assure you that what you wanted for the Light in the north is going to happen." you declare.

You say goodbye to the Bishop and go talk to the Archpriest of the Faith of the North Gods.

>"Dear Archpriest, how are you tonight ?" you ask him.

>"I'm quite good, your highness, thank you. This is a magnificent party that you have prepared for us." he replies.

>"I wanted to make sure everyone can have fun. How are things with the Faith ? I hope all is well." you inquire.

>"The end of the year is actually a great moment for the faith, we have numerous believers coming into our temple for blessing for the coming year. But truly, the resurgence of the faith is the real blessing, thank to your dedication your highness." he explains.

>"Don't mention it, it is normal for a sovereign to ensure the growth of the Faith. About that, how are things with the temple of Gefian ?" you ask.

>"The earthworks have begun, we have found hundreds of workers, several dozens of them are even volunteers. We have sent several teams down into the temple, and even if the final door is closed, we have consolidated everything else and started cleaning. We think that the temple will be unearthed and ready for the summer." he tells you.

>"That's wonderful news. Once it's done we'll have an official ceremony and open the temple for the population so they can worship the goddess." you declare.

You talk some more with the Archpriest, before taking your leave to see other guests. You notice the Black Moon Inquisitor, it's as if everyone was trying to avoid being close to him, and you are sure no one talked to him since the start of the party.

>"Inquisitor, how are you tonight. All is good I hope ?" you ask him.

>"Yes, everything is fine, Although I find the lack of good conversation quite boring." the Inquisitor tells you.

>"I'm sorry to hear this. I don't want to sound rude, but has no one talked to you ?" you inquire.

>"How are things with your Temple ?" you ask.

>"Things are going well. We are getting some worshippers each weeks, even if their numbers aren't really exceptionnal. Most of the common people don't stay around the temple for long, because they fear what they don't understand." he replies.

>"I'm sure that people will warm up to you. And how are things with the rehabilitation of the Red Avenue ?" you inquire.

>"The most difficult part was finding an alternative to the life of most of the inhabitants. Most of the homeless and prostitutes took on the clothes of the Black Moon, for the other we helped find jobs around the city. As for the building, we renovated most of them so now entire families can live here without fearing for their safety." he explains.

>"I'm happy to hear this, helping the people will surely make them less wary of the Cult of the Black Moon." you say.

You exchange some words and take your leave from the Black Moon servant. You see the Demi-Humans Tribal Leaders together and decide to join them.

>"Good evening to you, chiefs and leaders of the demi-human tribes of the north. We honored to have you here." you tell them.

>"The honor is all ours, your highness. It was impossible for us to think that we'll get recognized, much less taking part in a royal party, one year ago. So we should be the one thanking you." the minotaur chief replies.

>"Your words flatter me. So how are things going for your tribes after one year in peace ?" you ask them.

>"All his well. Since we don't have to fear attacks from the humans, and thank to trade, our numbers are increasing, childrens are playing without having to fear for their life." the Troll Chief answers.

>"Our deal with you helped ussss greatly, slowly but surely we are growing ssssstronger." the Lamia Matriach adds.

>"I'm glad to hear it, and I hope the next year will be even better. About this particular matter, have you already finished the list about what the crown will help you within the next months ? You have to make sure that you ALL approve of what has the highest priority and what can wait a little." you tell them.

>"Actually, we could use some resources, so our villages can be upgraded." the Gnoll Matriach says.

>"And a lot of our young men want to take arms in the army. Enrolling them could be a good idea." the Ogre Chief adds.

>"Then we'll have a meeting during the coming weeks to prepare all this. Can you send one member from each of your races to High Librarian Gweyr so they can teach her your language.

>"We can do that. Having the High Librarian learn our language is a net advantage, no one can say we aren't recognized if our words are known by the highest ranked scholar around." the Ratman chief replies.

So they accept, that way you will be able to learn. And who, know maybe Gweyr could actually use the common language to create a Lexicon.

>"Those elders survived decades against the humans. I don't think one high elf scholar will be a problem for them." the Minotaur Chief replies.

>". . . Oh well. You said that a lot of young demi-humans wanted to enlist in the imperial army. Of how many men are we talking about?" you ask.

>"Here are the numbers your highness." the Goblin Chief says.
-Trolls = 200 000
-Gnolls = 180 000
-Ratmen = 150 000
-Goblins = 150 000
-Kobold = 70 000
-Ogres = 60 000

-Giants = 8 000
-Centaurs = 5 000
-Lamias = 2 000

>"Then we'll see about starting a great recruitment campaign for the Imperial Legions. And for the resources for your villages, how much do you need exactly ?" you inquire.

>"At least 6 resources for the whole of our villages. More and more demi-humans are becoming sedentary, and the tents, wooden and stone huts are becoming houses." the Kobold Leader answers.

>"It should be possible to do it quickly then, so the living conditions can approve. Speaking of wich, how is the Consul in the Lost Shores with the dark elves is going for you Gnolls, Ratmen, Trolls, and Ogres ?" you ask them.

>"The dark elves are really accommodating so to speak. They appreciate the great number of workers we can give and are much more accepting of our races than any human before . . . Beside you of course. I believe it's going to be a deep partnership as time goes on." the Troll Chief replies.

>"That's good. And the dark elves aren't the only ones who can use your support. Queen Ellisa of Asoevia wants to build on "her" part on the Lost Shores. You could ask her about it and help each other with finishing her project." you tell them.

>"Yes, she's interesting enough, and we can surely use the rewards for working for a queen." the Ratmen chief declares.

>"Then I'll let you discuss this with her. And for the kobolds and goblins of the east, were there any of problems on the border of Voyoba with the nomads ?" you say.

>"No all is calm. We were never the prime target of raiders and warbands. They prefer caravans or small humans villages easy to attack. Ans some of our tribes actually traded with nomads" the Goblin chief explains.

>"Still, stay alert. If not them, you could have problems with some Silent Force's remnants, or surviving the assassins from the Order of the Light, they might try something as revenge." you warn them.

>"HA, those pathetic crybabies won't do much harm if what they did during the summer was any indication of their power. I say let them come if they are foolish enough to not learn from their mistakes." the Gnoll Matriach declares.

ok i played a little with the demi-human numbers for our Legions
Our Legions are this strong for the demi-human part
TROLLS = 9 000
GNOLLS = 7 000
RATMEN = 6 500
GOBLINS = 6 100
KOBOLDS = 4 500
OGRES = 4 120
MINOTAURS = 1 800
GIANTS = 1 300
CENTAURS = 570
LAMIAS = 10

after increasing the Legions we would be at
TROLLS = 25 000
GNOLLS = 22 500
RATMEN = 20 000
GOBLINS = 20 000
KOBOLDS = 10 000
OGRES = 9 000
MINOTAURS = 3000
GIANTS = 2000
CENTAURS = 1000
LAMIAS = 200

and we would still have left
-Trolls = 40 000
-Gnolls = 25 000
-Ratmen = 15 000
-Goblins = 11 000
-Kobold = 15 000
-Ogres = 11 200
-Minotaurs = 0
-Giants = 1000
-Centaurs = 700
-Lamias = 100

You take your leave from the Tribal Leaders, and look for other guests. You see a big group, the most prominent noble of the north, what they say is usually what the nobility as a whole is thinking. You decide to go to talk to them.

>"My Lords, I thank you for being here tonight." you say.

>"Your highness, we thank you for inviting us. What a great display of power you showed us tonight. Having the Great Emperor Hagëndorff and his wife, the legendary Queen Titania, and Prince Parsifal the Heart of the Law as your guests is truly incredible." one noble reply.

>"It was more to show that the crown was willing to talk with anyone. About that, you told me that you believed that the tax rate was too high for peace time. The crown may give you tax cuts, IF you are willing to invest the money you save, all of this will be documented of course, and the cuts will be proportional to the investment." you tell them.

>"My Queen, I don't want to sound rude, but let's say, if some nobles think that the money is rightfully their, and don't want to squander their gold. Wouldn't that cause some tension ?" one noble asks.

>"They will make more money in the future with this. All improvements will bring back gold with time, you just need to be patience, this isn't something that will bring riches in a couple of weeks, but the benefits are worth it. Remember that I paid for the redecoration of the this palace myself. Do you think I'm foolish by doing so ?" you explain.

>"No my Queen, of course not. It's just that your way of thinking is similar to the way merchants think, and some nobles don't really like this way of thinking, as their families earned titles, gold and prestige with great deeds and not trade." another reply.

>"And that exactly what the crown encourages them to do, to give their best for the empire. After all, there are still two kingdoms without rulers. And their is also a lot of lands in the east that may need someone to govern them." you say.

It seems that you managed to grab their interest. The promise of becoming king is really appealing, and the tax cuts is welcomed.

-You all saw how or at least heard of the impressiv work Sebastian Morebarr did in his collaboration with all the Demi-humans and for his hard work he was rewarded with Loch Arnnach, and there are like i said Westteron and Thoreric will need competent rulers in all things not just because they demand it but must proof that they can rule it and yes having a good sense for deals with merchants falls under that.
-As for the reinvestition of your saved money, i could show you all where the finshed Kings road will run cross-country so you could invest the money in new villages or towns on important intersection or you could invest in your own lands but make it so that the People benefit from it as well, if you build those towns im more then sure you will tremendously benefit when the trade starts to flow.
-You said that "some nobles don't really like this way of thinking, as their families earned titles, gold and prestige with great deeds and not trade" deeds are all nice and good but without money to finance or fund some business, one could be a dragonslayer or the mightiest Warrior in the North but would strave to death if he can´t make money to buy food. With that reinvestment even if they don´t like it they will benefit from it not in a week but in the future. But i know what you mean with this, but as all of you should know by now the old days where that was enough came to an abrupt end and we all have to adapt to the new Empire and it seems that for the nobles that meens that they might have to learn something about making money like a merchant to improve their income.
-One more thing that might have had startled some of you and with that i meant The council of Roses i can assure you all that that was somehing unique and will not repeat itself again, if the circumstances will not be meat again. It was to protect the wife of the nobles that have fallen from grace or to be blunt where traitors that had nothing to do with said traitors since not only a few told me about there problems that they had after the Day of the Drack Empire.

You take your leave from the nobles and look for your other honored guests, less famous, but just as important for you. Dillon, Emelyne, Adeleine, Isabella and their families are gathered together, eating and talking. They see you approaching and lower their heads.

>"Your highness, what can we do for you ?" asks Dillon's father.

So Dillon family name is Leon, an unusual surname for peasants.

>"So, how are you all liking the celebrations ?" you ask.

>"It's wonderful, we only heard about the splendor of such royal events. For us of common birth, being able to take part in this is truly something out a fairy tale." Emelyne's father replies.

>"I'm glad that you are enjoying it. I saw Dillon's two youngest sister running around, to the dismay of some of my maids." you smile.

>"I'm sorry your highness, I should have watched them more closely ! I'm going to get them and . . . " Dillon's big sister starts.

>"Oh no, don't bother, it is as you said, it must be like a fairy tale for such young girl, let them have fun for now, they aren't bothering anyone, my maids just don't know what to do with them, they aren't used to such lively guests." you tell her.

>"But still . . . I'm sorry." Dillon's mother says.

>"Don't worry about it. And si, how your training is going ?" you inquire.

>"It's going well. I learned so much, and I feel more confident in myself." Emelyne says.

>"My teachers said I had potential to become a great mage." Isabella adds.

>"All is well for me, it was hard with the snow at first, but I'm used to it now." Adeleine replies.

>"I'm doing my best to be worthy of the chance you gave me your highness. And I'll make you proud, father, mother." Dillon declares.

>"We are proud of you, we never expected any of this but we would be foolish to say that this is a unique opportunity for all of you. Make sure to use it well." his mother tells him.

Do you ask something else ? Or go see other guests ?

"that's very good Dillion. I hope you make us all proud"

>ask something else
-That´s very good and i´m sure you four will give us more reasons to be proud of you all in the future.
-I heard fomr your children that the village where you live is around the border between or better close to the border of Ordamark and Thoreric, and that the money they send you is more then you would make normally in a year so i have to ask what are you doing with your new found safeguard and independence?
-If you want one or two hint or points on what to best do with it i have a good few good ideas. 1. You could buy more land, you have the money now for that and build a bigger farm amd make it so your little town will be known for its farm Products in both Ordamark and Thoreric and if everthings goes in your favor you will not only become a landowner but i would say maybe even low nobility might be in reach for you. 2.Since you know about farming you might want to talk with Phillip Turean about a Project i gave him, its about a island that will need food to be self sufficient and thats where you could come in and help him with it, IF he is ok with that you might want to talk next with the dwarfen Grand craftmaster and talk with him about the island and that you will run the farms that will supply his dwarfs and what they would most like on the farms but you should now that.
-I have good faith in you that you will manage everything, if your daughter is only half as smurt as dillion is enthusiastic you will have absolute no problems whats so ever.

>"That's very good, and I'm sure you four will give us more reasons to be proud of you all in the future. Now, dear parents, I heard from your children that the village where you live is around the border, or better, close to the border between Ordamark and Thoreric, and that the money they send you is more than what you would make normally in a year. So I have to ask what are you doing with your new found safeguard and independence ?" you say.

>"It was really a lot of money, and we didn't know what to do at first. After being able to buy anything we wanted to live comfortably we used the gold to expend our farms." Dillon's father replies.

>"We increased the size of our herd and started to build extensions to our piggery." Isabella's father adds.

>"And we also bought a lot of new cows and a couple of bulls, my wife even stopped working at the tavern. But I'm sure that even without this, our families could lives without worries for decades." Emelyne's father says.

>"If you want one or two hints on what to best do with it, I have a few good ideas. First, you could buy more land, you have the money now for that, and as you build a bigger farm, make it so your little town will be known for its farm products in both Ordamark and Thoreric. And if everything goes in your favor you will not only become a landowner but I would say maybe even low nobility might be in reach for you."

>". . . . Your highness, something like this . . . " start Dillon's father.

>"That's not all. Second, since you know about farming you might want to talk with King Phillip Turean about a project I gave him, it's about a island that will need food to be self-sufficient and that's where you could come in and help him with it. IF he is ok with that you might want to talk with the dwarf Grand Craftmaster next about the island, that you will run the farms that will supply his dwarfs and discuss about what they would most like to be delivered to them." you explain.

Such a great opportunity is quite shocking for the four families, they look between themselves and Dillon's father look the most worried among them.

>"My queen, we are honored by the faith you have in us, but are you really sure that we are the best for this ? Surely there is several big landowners that could do it ?" Emelyne mother says.

>"I have good faith in you that you will manage everything. I have faith in all of you, if you work as hard as your daughters, and if you are as half enthusiastic as Dillon, you will have absolutely no problems whatsoever." you declare.

Well, now you need to wait and see what they are going to do about your suggestions. Do you ask something else ? Or go see other guests ?

>Do you ask something else
-Well those are just tips what you could do but lets say you do it and let´s say what could happen purely in theory of course. In the best case you would have earned a low nobility title and with the wok on the island you would have a few favor at least with the Grand craftmaster of the dwarfs and would have spared me form looking for another course of action and a few weeks if not months of time, now in the absolute worst case scenario what could happen, well first you could have problems with running the farm for the simple reason its just too big and Ordamark has to step in and help you with it. As for the island and the dwarfs i would have a problem for my planning for the future if you could not provide them with food, i would have to charter or buy some merchant ships form the Tharque to provide them with food from the mainland and ship it to the island but that i could be a good chance to train the sailors so there is that but with the with the cost of everything it would be around half a year on Resources and Finances but most importent time. BUT i wouldn't have considered all of this it if i wouldn't have trust in you.

The parents of your servants say that they'll think about it, and you leave them discussing. You really want them to accept, but you can't force them. You see Gweyr and go to talk to her about the projects you have.

>"Gweyr, having fun tonight ?" you say.

>"Well, big party like this one aren't exactly my thing. It's nice and all but it's just not what I enjoy the most." she replies.

>"I understand, not everyone enjoy official events. But I have something to tell you that may make your day." you smile.

>"Oh ? And what is it ?" she inquires.

>"I talked with the demi-human Tribal Leaders, and they agreed to send you one member from each races to you so they can help you with their languages. That way you'll have direct references and maybe takes notes and create a lexicon." you tell her.

>"That's . . . A wonderful idea. I didn't have a lot of opportunities to research deeper in the demi-human languages, this will be very beneficial to our understanding of those races and perhaps learn more about their past." she replies.

>"I knew you'll like it. Just one thing, try to go easy on them. They aren't used to your . . . methods." you jokingly warn her.

>"What do you mean ? Do you have something to say about my teaching methods ?" she asks.

You don't say anything to that, not out of fear that she may go harder on you during your lessons . . . Or perhaps a little afraid.

-Gweyr i also ask the dwarfs to build a few movable type presses for you, i hope they will be to your satisfaction.

-Well to your teaching methods i warned them about it but they "only" said I don't think one high elf scholar will be a problem for them so try to convinces them from the opposite

>"Gweyr, I also asked the dwarves to build a few movable type presses for you, I hope they will be to your satisfaction." you say.

>". . . You did that ? Oh Freya, thank you so much. I always wanted one, but it's extremely pricy, and only dwarves or artisans in the south can build one. Now I love copying book myself, but this will make my job easier so I can personally copy the books I want." she replies.

>"I knew you'll like it. . . Say, I was wondering, can you tell me when was the last time wood, dark and high elves had a discussion without insulting each other ?" you ask.

>"Officialy, there was no official talk between the different elven races since the War of the Woods, where several trolls and ogres tribes allied to wage war on the elves and take their forests. Against this threat the wood elves and high elves became allies, defeated the united tribes and established an alliance that still last to this day." she explains.

>"Hmmm, so it is possible to have them discuss, it's just a matter of pride." you say.

>"Of course it's a matter of pride, we are talking about elves after all." she adds.

>"Well, at least you admit it. And about your teaching methods, I warned the demi-humans about it, but they "only" said, and I quote "I don't think one high elf scholar will be a problem for them". So try to convince them from the opposite." you smile.

>"And how long do you think you'll need to learn there languages to a 100% ?" you inquire.

>"A couple of months at best. I'm a quick learner." she answers.

Then all is good, this knowledge will surely prove useful in the future.

You leave Gweyr, and go to see your parents. You saw them together. They smile when they see you approaching.

>"Oh Freya, so you took some times off your empress duties toward your guests to talk with us ?" your father jokes.

>"I came to see how you are doing. Are you feeling well, mother ?" you ask.

>"Yes, I'm alright. I just needed to rest for a couple of days but now I feel better than ever." she replies with a smile.

>"I'm glad to hear it. How are you enjoying the festivities ?" you inquire.

>"It's good. I belive you have nothing to envy to the court of the Great Emperor Hagëndorff. Speaking of wich, I'm impressed that you invited such legendary guests, first Queen Titania this summer, and now Hagëndorff and his wife, along with the Prince Parsifal. After that the only way to up this is getting gods to join us. Hahaha." your father laughs.

You just smile. If only he knew that it's actually what you're planning to do. Do you ask something else or go see other guests ?

-So how is my little Brother doing?
-Father could it be possible that Ordamark could field a Legion into the field? I mean Ordamark already has 67k man so it would only need 33k more and for the Demi-Human part i talked with them so that wouldn`t be a problem and money wise it doesm`t look too bad so it wouldn`t collapse Ordanark.

>"So how is my little Brother doing ?" you inquire.

>"He is very well, he is very lively, he does not cry much. In addition, he has a very big appetite, I spend several hours with him every day to feed him." your mother replies

>"I told your mother to let a nanny feed him for a couple of days, so she can fully rest." your father says.

>"I fed my daughter myself until she was old enough, I'll do the same with my son." she tells him.

Your father doesn't say anything, your mother has made up her mind on this topic.

>"Father, could it be possible that Ordamark field a Legion ? I mean, Ordamark already has 67 000 men, so it would only need 33 000 more, and for the Demi-Human part I talked with them so that wouldn't be a problem. Money wise it doesn't look too bad so it wouldn't make Ordanark's economy collapse." you explain.

>". . . It should be possible, but I want to wait a little more, maybe until spring, so the population can increase just a little." he replies.

>"I see. Then, how is the port doing now that normal trade is in progress ?" you ask.

>"The sea traffic is increasing, our commercial fleet was never very big, with this port the needs have increased and the shipyard work relentlessly, every week a new merchant ship goes to sea, bringing us wealth and prosperity." he tells you.

Then you can start building a Navy. And you should do it before next winter, before the pirates raids starts again.
Do you ask anything else ? Or start the next part of the party ?

You leave your parents, and look around to see what your friends are doing.

Silviana and Shelur are eating together, they actually look like a couple, with how Silviana give Shelur a taste of each piece of food she has on her plate, Shelur is just enjoying the moment, and watch over Silviana. Everytime a young man (or old man) tries to approach Silviana, Shelur give them a glare that could scare even the bravest knight, making them give up in fear.

Irene is with some noble from Ordamark, maybe they know her from her time as your parents royal guards commander. She doesn't seem bothered and replies with her usual cool and composed attitude she uses during official events.

Aleanor is just eating peacefully with Dillon's little sisters, the two little girls attentively listening to the Valkyrie's stories.

Dillon and Ruriska are discussing together, you don't understand what they are saying but judging form Ruriska red face, he's probably complimenting her dress.

Emelyne, Adeleine and Isabella are with their families. They all seem happy to be together.

Murata is again surrounded by nobles who are curious about him and his culture. The samurai replies politely when some of them ask if he wants to join their retinue, affirming his loyalty to the emperor and the empress.

All in all, your companions are doing good. You think it's time to start the next part of the party. You go to find Lazarus, who's talking with his generals.

>"My love, it is time for our little announcement." you say.

>"Ah, so it's time. Let us go then." he replies.

The two of you go to back to your thrones, and stand before your guests, the servant ask for silence and everybody stop what they are doing to look at you. Lazarus takes your hand and speak first.

>"Honored guests, this night marks the end of one year and the beginning of another. Many things will happen, but tonight, in front of you all, as Emperor and Empress, we have a great new to announce, something that will change our future, all of us. There have been some rumors, and what we will tell you will bash these rumors to the ground." Lazarus says.

Everyone seems intrigued, and eager to learn what you are going to announce. Lazarus turn his head to look at you with a warm smile.

You decide to let Lazarus tell everyone. Your husband then turns his head back to the guests.

>"Tonight, it is with great joy and pride that I am pleased to announce that my wife Freya Drack, Dark Queen of the north, Chains-Breaker, Caregiver, Queen of Flames and Empress of the Drack Empire, is pregnant. She is bearing my child and is 5 months along. The heir of the Drack Empire is planned to be born during spring." he declares.

There is a great silence in the Great Hall, no one is saying anything, even the musicians stopped playing and the Royal Guards turned their head to look at you two. For a moment, this silence feels heavy. Suddenly the big hall erupts into a loud clamor, the guests cheer, talk to each other vivaciously, try to question you and Lazarus, and are usually shaken by the news. Lazarus grins like a fool, it looks like the reactions are what he expected.

You see Hagëndorff and his wife smiling, Parsifal nods with a warm smile. Titania has her mouth hanging wide open, your parents laugh softly, the rulers are talking among themselves, Ellias look at you with a smug face that's mean "congratualtion". Your companions that weren't aware of your pregnancy are looking at you wide eyed, Irene is glaring at you, she must remember all the training you did while being pregnant and you are sure that she's going to lecture you later.

Do you say something ? Or let things go on for now ?
