Following the directions of Fernand, the Uncrowned prepare to oust the GoldJoys, with infromation from the Merchant Gram they decide to set the field at the Unkinned lands.

With Tsukuyomi's influence they were able to gain the help of Hongrin warriors from beyond the seas,

and with their standing in the guild the Uncrowned's name stands at the tip of infamy and glory with the Collectors' vaunted task forces.

>Swordborne is a collective multiplayer strategy game where players assume the role of a single Adventurer fighting under the Uncrowned, and must cooperate, make decisions, and ultimately take action in battle to seize the day.

Ardene sat in camp, tapping her axe on the ground in anticipation for the next battle. She was clearly arguing something in her head, wondering if the way she knew how to fight would be enough. No, back in Oceania she'd heard tales of the Bushin, and the monsters that called Hongri their home. It was not a hard stretch to connect one to the other, and she figured that these warriors might know the techniques she would need to obtain her revenge. Of course, she'd not abandon completely the skills that had carried her so far, with the right practice she could integrate most of them and create a powerful style of her own. And her family had cast her out as useless. Also she'd try to keep something similar to her armor, she'd grown quite a fondness for the western style. Taking one last look at her axe, she got up and headed for the Quartermaster's tent. She had some orders to make and warriors to arrange a training session with.

The third cup of tea is also cold. Tovani realises as she sips, frowns, jars back to the now, sets the half-cracked cup down teetering near the edge with the other two, equally abandoned. She zoned out again. This time going over the munitions expenditure and trying to parse the crustacean-like inksplats Joy made-pretend to be a report.

Tovani yawns, stretches with shoulder pops, brushes the stack of cups, jolts forward to grab the third tea mug before it splashes the books. Crisis averted. The Company left alone to their own device for a day and then the books require twelve hours to correct. Tovani yawns again. Couldn't let slaves, ghosts or screams get in the way of making sure there was enough bread in the stocks and-- another yawn. Maybe if she rested her head, here, for a moment, on this request for patrol extension? Yes. So soft...

"... ZzzZZzz--- GHRH-- NO. NOT THE LLAM--"

" WHAT "

" Who signed out 42 silver? ALSWITH. ALSWIIITH"

This thread is a leadup to a main mission deployment. As word would have it the ,Goldjoy Coffers entertain an immense amount of armoured yet unblooded troops, most of whom get their training from paid services. Most worrying however is not the substantial quality of their equipment but the fact that their kill teams normally host 60 Troops even on the most dimunitive raids. With their call to adventurers , few have answered it of any repute while the rest were coralled into this under promise of pay as the GoldJoys often employ the use of captured Slaves and debt-ridden swords on the front line until they expire.

According to the Nomads of the South, they have since Rebuffed their offers to lend them their warriors since but are beginning to draw their ire ever since the mountain they sit on is rich in iron. "

Tovani narrows her eyes, shakes her head, double-checks the pinch reflex to see if this is yet another stumbling half dream.

No, it was (probably) a real, actual bird head. Some of the stains had soaked into her bedroll. The feathers were yellow and beautiful and sparkling but the ragged tear where a throat should be didn't do much for the creatures countenance. Some absolute joker had gingerly put a golden coin on each eye and another in the beak.

You can be the most magical of all the magical magical girls, magical. And as a Cleric, that's a bit of an issue. As a Nomad, it's fine though.

If you cannot use it as a Cleric, perhaps Suyugo or Fang can!

So, I was thinking.

>>3609647
Right?

We know they have cavalry and fast hitters. And outnumber us. So we should fight on our end of the bridge, bring a few crates and some spike rolls, and make a little barrier. Needs enough clearance for the Bushin to go to work. If we concentrate them, it's all easier.

Got some archers and they can take the high ground and shoot down over the fighters.

And if we have some barricades, right, you can retreat behind them once you get too wounded and we try to knit you back together.

Hardest issue I see is the Quick Riders. They might jump the gap and flank us.

"I don't want to be seen as a needy leech.
I certainly wouldn't want to be a drain on you.
But would you mind doing me one more little teensy itsy betsy favor?
I'd like another Mystic spell. You see where I came from there wasn't much money in the program.
Mostly Knightly duties and such.
So coming by new spells sucked.
Could you guys hit me up with the Drain Touch? I'll pay you back in labor!"

"Perhaps you can aid us on this problem Tovani. A layer of ice on that rock there will give any leaping bird a hard time, and likely send their riders off into the drink."
>>
>>3611671
Sliding a few tokens around the map Tovani taps her fingers against a wooden cut-out of a knight.

" That might work. I can't do much there without freezing the river also, but if we can get a few bottles of water on the island, I can cover it in mist. Then they can't really navigate to land properly. And if they do land there, I can freeze the mist.

Just need someone to get a few waterbottles out there.

Oh, and speaking, if we... Chalk a few runes near one end of the bridge, we can protect people with a little bit of extra oomph."

"Consider it done, I'll ice anyone and anything you want. I'm cool. I don't mist though, especially the puzzle kind."
>>
>>3611328

"What if we put a bunch of pitfall traps in the ground, lure the badguys into them and across the bridge, then we collapse the bridge while they're on it, and then you freeze the river with them in it?"

"Oh oh! And maybe a Mystic or something can put a spirit in the statue who will fight for us! That'd be cool!"

Yes, that's the trick. I think. You mind if I watch and take a few notes? It's real impressive what you get up to, and, well, I just, I mean, I'd like to... I think its neat!

I suggest the west end of the bridge, that area. Maybe you can scrawl it on this map?
Here! If you use some of these Pyras shards (or other stuff) it'll be even better. We can hide the potions and set them off with an oiljar. That'll confuse 'em.
As for Recipes, I was keeping track. And, err, maybe I need a new tent. The last one caught fire. I know that...

Lux+Pyras gets you VIM, which increases Potency of Spells and Attacks.
Lux + Aquas = Somnus. This regenerates square root hits SP until the target takes a combat action.

"Well, Captain"

Tovani paused with a worn-out knight token dancing between her hands, trailing tiny clouds of ice-vapour Tovani was too nervous to suppress.

"They're going to have Archers, right? Mages. Crossbow shooters. Crates are for cover. It also concentrates their Strikers in a smaller area and means our fewer heavies can hold the gaps.

We need them or we'll be overrun. And they're good to take cover behind.

The Runes I figure is a backup plan. We can't enchant the whole field or they would notice.
But if we carve runes on the bridge to cover our position, Owl or I can Extrapolate a Glacii or one of Char's burning blades to everyone on our side. And if its an emergency, we can try a fixative.

Now for the island out there, can you carry two small glacis potions? Owl will make them. If anyone tries to jump there, they'll go off and spread ice and I can turn that to Mist to really mess up their day.

Oh. You can fly. Of course you can fly. Why wouldn't you be able to fly?"

>Sign over 4 silver

"Now, Jo and Moore and some of the Archers are right, we can also dig a few pitfalls front of the bridge. It won't stop all of them, but it'll make them think."

"This is a walking staff. Jo, if you want a magical stick I have one. I can help you craft one! TOGETHER, we''ll simply transduce the exponential elemental core of--"
>"They're magical because I put a ribbon on them!"

Tovani blinked herself back to the conversation at hand, and checked the length of the halberd. There, nestled against the slightly bent tip, billowing in the wind, a ribbon.

"Well yes if you enchant the woven strands with infused immanence the density field calcu--"
>"That's important"
"Yes, quite, and if we twin the propensity for amalgamation of disparate elements together we"
>"for making a magical girl weapon, you know!"

Tovani stopped. She h a d read a lot of books about the properties of magical objects. But six hundred pages of scrawls did not rate high against the infectious enthusiasm of Jo, fair vibrating with complete confidence and bristling with incredibly sharp weaponry which, despite the ravages of mud, blood, weather and woe still had jaunty ribbons tied to them.

"You know what Jo? Yes. Yes it *is*. It is the most important part.

Let me find you the Suprah Dorfgh Ask".

Tovani wrenched the axe out of the ground while hurrying to shove the nearby chair up against the wobbling bookcase. It stabilised, barely. She was going to have to solve this more permanently later, without the axe to prop up the wood the entire thing was came apart at the slightest touch.

Jo was bouncing happily on the balls of her feet outside the tent. Didn't seem to have noticed the near collapse.

Tovani looked around the interior of the tent...

No, that wouldn't do. Too soaked in alcohol. That one wouldn't do either, too soaked in oil. Why did she keep a chest full of rusty Ignyllian mail, again? Whup, almost stuck fingers into the precarious mess of poisoned arrowheads spilling over the floor. No. Not there. Not there. Not there.

Where had she...
Aha!
Tovani glanced over her shoulder at Jo. Maybe she'd come in? But then she'd step on one of the shards on the floor or disturb the INCREDIBLY CAREFUL ORGANISATION of the quartermasters tent. That wouldn't do.

"JUST A MOMENT."
Tovani spun back to her task, sweat beading. Hands shaking. How did you do this again? Wrapping weapons in enchantment and binding the knots of spellweave was staggeringly difficult. Tovani felt frustration rise. No. Come on, that wasn't how you did-- there. Done. It took. The knot was complete.

Tovani stepped back, shuffled carefully past the mountain of cleaning stones spilling out of the bag, tried not to tip over the bags of salt and stuck her head back out the tent.

" Here. I have it. It was holding up my book case"

Something creaked gently, in the background.

" And I... "

Jo was looking at her, the very picture of serene tranquillity. Lying seemed almost kind of cruel in the face of that amount of earnest niceness.

" I enchanted it. So its extra magical. See? Two ribbons. Hard work. You take care of it now! Powerful . . . magical . . . artefact this."

Tovani glanced back into the tent.

"You wouldn't happen to have a use for a giant bird, would you? It is also... magical? Yes? Very arcane. Definitively esoteric."

>Making Mission Cards:
-This feature is reserved only for the CO.

" In the event that minor jaunts before big operations is necessary to prepare for a battle, it is possible to assemble a team of 3 or 4 people to detach from the main party and perform a task, to do so:

> The task must be possible given transit times and transit options. If transportation is needed whether to or from, then payment is required.

> The task must have a main objective, and a possible secondary objective which may enchance the first. The difficulties will be calculated myself.

Party Strategies: Strategies can be assigned to mission cards , allowing for a composed class to exhibit their specialties. That limit, I regret to say is 3.

The Shield: Can protect from one fatal injury, or all from one fatal source while adding their martial strength. [R] [N] [B]

The Axe: Can carve parts from monsters encountered, useful for making various materiale while adding their martial strength. [N] [D] [Q]

The Sickle: Has insight on supernatural horrors and offers the party advantage over their schemes while adding their martial strength. [D] [O]

The Bow: Has Eyes all over the land, and adept at hunting their mark. Archers are also masters of the road and know maps better than most and has a talent for avoiding bad weather. Adds martial. [A] [M] [O]

The Rapier: Has an eye for elegance and tact as well as the ability to stir crowds and powerful individual alike with martial prowess. Alternatively, the ability to carry oneself with dignity around clients is better improved with this mediator of sword and throne. [U] [F]

The Dagger: Much if not most activities must be done on the sly and The Dagger ensures stealth to a measure and if need be, abandon a mission to rescue on individual. THeir talents for infiltration and social awareness will allow them to bypass the most rigid defenses. [K] [F] [D]

1/2
>>
The Salve: Healing experts both magical and mundane may prevent a fatal outcome from coming to pass on a successful mission. Alterntively they are foremost in their role to cure afflictions with a name. [C] [Q] [W]

The Book: For any problem that defies the eyes, one must look into the insight of books. The Book may inform one's decisions into a foray, or as their repute allows, solve most mysteries that would befuddle most mages. [M] [L] [W] [Q]

The Squire: No outstanding skills make them good generalists at whatever task is given. They may be assigned to assist one role at the start of the mission, nullifying their 1s. [S] [F]

Alswith sat there at her desk staring with mild distress and anticipation. In her small spartan corner space, red paint formed a closely watched border, protecting against encroachment by her neighbor. It looked vacuous and orderly in comparison but perhaps because there wasn't a lot there in contrast. Tovani's books formed the walls of her assistant's cubicle with a wide variety of things draped on top or leaning against it. Something moved among the odds and ends, pulling away Alswith's attention. With a sigh, she picked up the six eyed lizard-thing and tossed it into the terrarium it had just escaped from, ignoring the meow that escaped the breathing hole on its forehead.

And finally, at long last, Tovani could breathe out. No more questions, no more swords, no more coin counting. Five minutes of time to contemplate the universe, have a cup of tea and listen to the soothing sound of diligent Alswith scratching pen across parchment. The sound of efficient delegation in action. Tovani knew she ran a tight, controlled operation. She was here, in it, and did all the important work of talking to people and making tea. And then via the power of delegation, Alswith handled all the other stuff that Tovani had promptly put from her mind.

Come to think of it (Tovani paused, staring down into a terrarium containing a pure-bred Serpico acid-sneezing salamander), she wasn't entirely sure what Alswith actually did. Something with crates, possibly? Books? Bags? There might have been a mention of double entry accounting, something about expenditure logs, discrepancies? The details were hazy. Tovani wasn't certain why that part was so important (she mulled it over, staring down at the little world the acid-sneezer was contained in, watching as it ate its way through a rock in a splatter of chemicals).

The paperwork weren't going anywhere. No one had come to ask for it! Unlike the swords, which Tovani had built a small cathedral out of in the corner. People kept asking for those. But the paperwork? She mostly left hers in the growing stack by the armor pile. Being a quartermaster was straightforward. Simply stamp the parchment people put in front you, done, more tea.

Well, Alswith was a focused person. If she wanted to collect discrepancies, everyone needed a hobby and Tovani didn't see the harm. It left her more time to experiment.

"Hey, hey, Alswith! ALSWITH. ALSWITH, I'VE LOST THE SIX-EYED-- OH HEY, YOU GOT IT. Thanks! HAVE YOU SEEN THE BOTTLES OF LIQUID FIRE WE BOUGHT FROM THAT JUGGLER? wait no nevermind I see them I put them next to the oilpots. I'M GOING TO PUT THE POISON BOLTS BY THE BANDAGES, OKAY? I KEEP ALMOST STEPPING ON THEM. I'm making some tea do you want some tea? Oh. Huh. This cup is full of rat blood. Why is it-- OOH. No, I need that for later.

Aww, I think the hounds got into the rum again. "

Errr, Bossman, that won't work so well.

We don't have any archers right now, Cicero is the only footman, all the duellists are dead, we have one new Mystic and I need him for something else, I can't tell you what those guys even are and if you run off to negotiate with Nomads I'm going to drag you back here myself. I don't think we can send The Shape, either. He doesn't talk.

How about we make that Nomad Mission a Shield, Dagger, Squire operation? Then we can send off Alswith, Cicero and two of the sword-stabbers to keep 'em safe. [R] [N] [B] [K] [F] [D] [S].

Then we'll have enough volunteers.

A grimacing look of horror at her hand, Alswith realized she had pinched the bridge of her nose perhaps for the first time ever. Among other things, older people did that sort of thing, like rubbing their temples. What might have frightened her most was how it seemed to provide a modicum of comfort. The mention of liquid fire and poisoned bolts forced her to blink away visions of a childhood she scarcely had and she looked up sharply in distress. "Wait, what? What fire water? Nowait, don't put those near the- what? But I--Blood?? What are you--" She caught herself and took a deep breath.

"Okay... slow down... there's a fresh pot of tea maybe only ten minutes old on the table over there. No, over there. Behind the - yes, there. Some sugar in the little blue bottle. I'm afraid we're out of milk and I don't expect we'll be getting any for a while. Now what's this about liquid fire?"

Just then Syugou entered the tent. "Oh, hello. Please ignore that. Or, uh, that. Just.. please ignore the general state of things.. Now, um, you're here about salt? Oh, how much is that? 10oz?," she fished up a scale and placed it on her desk. There were a couple of weights missing but she knew the Serpico acid-sneezing salamander was about seven just this morning when she calibrated it for just such an occasion...

The scruffy faced Nomad only smiled at Ardene, settling in with his own steaming bowl of Boar Soup. Sighing contentedly to himself while taking in a few spoonfuls while the warrior woman spoke. It was certainly a hearty dish, with a savory sweet tang that Syugou only attributed to bringing down the beast himself. Though as they ate the mostly quiet man opened up some small amount, speaking some of his former life before dishonor and wandering as a ronin. Namely a tale of the foolish attempt that his Lord took to try and regain their land. That cost the lives of every soldier and servant of the Lord except for Syugou's. Whom had woken up drifting among the fragments of his Lord's ship.

The large man didn't seem to mind the state of disorganized organization that the Quartermaster's tent had become. Merely responding to any question asked with short replies or shakes of his head. "Thank you for the help." Syugou then bows and leaves as quickly as he came.

==Investigate Southern Nomads==
=====
We've had a rumor of Nomads who have had some unpleasant interactions with the Goldjoys. It's worth trying to convince them to interfere with the Goldjoy operation.
-A show of good faith means that 4 and no more can be brought to this meeting. However 3 will grant +4 Bonus.

Primary: Convince the nomads to disrupt the Goldjoy operation to attack us (supply raids, disruption) [25]
Secondary: Convince the nomads to join us in directly fighting the Goldjoys. [35]

The Bow. Will be able to convey simple methods of disruption whilst facilitating local advantages. +3 To rolls.
The Shield. Should things go sour can be depended on for Martial Events. And leave the party unscathed.
The Dagger. Sly Negotiators who can control the flow of negotiation whilst reconnoitering for further information regardless of failure. +4 To Rolls.
Required Role: Negotiator. This person will lead the Talks.

Excellent! Marvelous in fact! Mr. Syugou, if you need something, *anything*, you need only ask, darling! Well come on, people. I said I needed strong backs and capable hands to get me some wood for barricades. It beats being hit in your weak, vulnerable faces with Goldjoy arrows. you need something to hide behind when the crush of mud and blood strikes and all you feel is terrible fear.

Now's your chance to get me some wood for the barricades! That's all of you fancy looking, sharp-dressed murder-killers out there. You think you're great with a sword, a true fighter, noble of spirit and grand of blade? Great. If you go chop wood its basically like striking a practice dummy, so the principle is the same.

The Knight-Bushin sighs and puts her mask back on.

"But I've made my peace with it, found something I'm good at and made a living off of it here with The Uncrowned. I've wanted to send them a letter for months now, but I'm not sure what I'd have to say."

Jo had heard about the Southern Nomad tribes, and the stories were not too different from the ones of her own tribe. From what she gathered from the monster carver lady who made her new headdress, they were a prideful people who valued independence and respected strength. Undoubtedly they would try to make a show of force, as all Nomad tribes would do, but she would be there, to deter them if they decided to do more than that.

Jo smiled as she hefted her new magical stick over her shoulder; perhaps they would give her the opportunity to spread to teach them they ways of justice.

Ardene collected herself. A part of her had hoped someone else had taken the lead in the negotiations, but here we were. She at least understood the points that she was going to argue.

First, she had heard that the Southern Tribes were no friends of the Goldjoys, and that she represented a movement to rid the lands of their influence and that any help they could provide in the upcoming battle against them would be appreciated. She would remind them that if the Goldjoys were willing to enslave their own kinsmen to gain a minor profit, there was no chance that they would leave them and the valuable iron reserves they lived on alone. This also lends to the wisdom of early action, as an early show of force by the Southern Tribe would strike fear into the hearts of the Goldjoy forces, who are already low on morale given their circumstances. The tribe would also likely not suffer immediate repercussions for this as well, as our band has already drawn the Goldjoy's ire, and they would likely see us as the more immediate threat.

=The Best Things in Life=
[Successes 34]
After thoroughly being marched through the winding paths ascending the mountain , one would wonder if their guide thought them to be prisoners to be taken in. But of course not, even Jo who had hailed from these parts were walking up and down the mountain trail and her steep slabs with ease for well over an hour now. When at last the tired group had shown up at the inner villages of her chieftains' camp, the tapestry of settlements and woven tents looked on in suspense, first at the guides who took them in, then at Jo who they whispered about with some Familiarity. The women stood proudly by their children, the men turned their backs, marked with the monsters they've slain. Something Jo lacked herself.

When at last the group was shown to the Chieftain's den they were met with two towering titans, covered in tribal markings, wearing the heads of great beasts.

" Tell me ," Said the a man seated in a chair carved out of a hydras' skulls.

" What is the best thing in life ? "

>What will you answer ?

Apologies for the delayed posts family aggro has been wild now that my nephew's 10 and capable of understanding memes

Ardene instinctively stepped forward to answer, as expected of the lead negotiator. After a moment of silence she scratched her chin, having never really thought about the answer to this question before. There were a lot of good things in life, good food, good drinks, good people, good books, and good fights, but she'd never decided what she liked best out of all of those things.

"Hmm...if I had to go with one thing. Its that feeling that I get after a battle, when I'm sitting in camp with my armor half off and my wounds freshly bandaged and a bowl of hot soup in my hands. That feeling of a day's work done well, weeks and months of training and preparation paying off through a day of solid execution. The moment when I can look back on the battle with clarity, rather than in a haze of adrenaline. That is the best thing in life."
>>
>>3638989
At first a huff then a silence. The man guffawed then outright roared with laughter. "So this is the words of those who live behind walls, of those who sup on the plains, the seas, and obsess themselves with gold ?"

"Young lady, long have I tired of such men who come to me spouting of such easy conquests, of dizzying numbers of /children/ under their command. Why, one would come to these very steps, every now and then with chests of useless ROCKS, with faces of old men -- but you , you speak of such fierce battles , the scratches on your armor, tell of such vicious beasts foul and fierce, and yet you mean to tell me that you would commit such acts just to feel that tempered [Haka] possessed with cold determinations the same as the metal on your scabbard. A wordy , noisy, way to say you have Won is it not ?"

-

" So what would you ask of us to share in this stoic Victory ? To make the wine in my casks warm and its people light the mountain with [Haka] ? Hmmm ?

-

> You have convinced the Chief Iberon to help you tip the scales towards victory. But only if you spoke true of your word, and that you can secure victory on your own terms. They will seek to disrupt enemy supplies such that their advantage of Gold Faced Men, is robbed of them.

> Cicero, inquires about the Gold Faced Men, and though the language of the mountains is lost to them, his pantomiming and theatrical acts at comedy [whilst dodging axes] has surveyed the crowd for reaction and accuracy.
- They seem to insist that their chained brothers are among them. Their Haka, no more.
- They howl at the sight of their mounted troop
- The enemy has come here many times before sometimes with gold,
- [Cicero found and pocketed 4 Gold scattered around the mountain]

"Hmm Strygid-dono. Taisho Fernand, should be informed of this path to our foe's back. Perhaps if not of use, we should collapse or block it."
Syugou looks back over his shoulder in the direction of the tunnel for a moment, before adjusting some of the heavy resources he was carrying. The boar skin wearing, shaggy, mountain of a man had even politely insisted to carry whatever Strygid might have otherwise hauled back to camp.
>>
>>3641768
Hmm...
(The Quemist taps her chin thoughtfully)
I suppose we should, though I would question the wisdom of attempting to encircle a force that likely outnumbers us and is probably better equipped for a close melee. If it were up to me I'd simply drop some explosive mixtures in the tunnel and set them to go off when (if) the Goldjoys attempt to use it. Thankfully the ignominious reigns of responsibility are far and away from me, and it is in our delightful captain's hands instead! Come, Mr. Syugou, let us away!
(The woman pats her companion on the arm before beginning the trek back to camp, her diminutive and bourgeois form offering a stark contrast to the fierce looking goliath who followed after her.)

Fernand considered the group assembled before him. 20 mercenaries in all - only enough to make the odds of the coming battle from 'David and Goliath' to 'plucky underdogs'. They'd been pre-paid 3 days of wages, even should the battle only take 1 - a premium to guarantee loyalty and for the inconvenience of the rush job. Half Oceanians drawn from fortune seekers who had followed the delegation to Serpico, and half Norrmen looking for a good scrap, they were all -

- all shoddily equipped compared to what was coming for the Uncrowned. Fernand pointed at the Lancers. "You lot are excused for the time being. The rest of you, come with me - we must needs prepare."

As the swordsmen drilled, Fernand had the Crossbowmen call out coordinates for the Longbowmen to fire upon the bridge. When they were done, he forced them to repeat it, manipulating the wind in and against their favor.

>The company is purchasing the following mercenaries for a total of 12 gold and 3 silver:
>4 Oceanian Longbow Archer III
>2 Oceanian Crossbow Archer II
>1 Norr Slinger Archer II
>5 Norr Shortsword Squires III
>8 Norr Lance Squires I

>The level up dice for these mercenaries is included in this post.

[Earlier, as dawn snakes across the sky]
Snap. The log entry veers off erratically as the quill writing it breaks.
" you want h o w much gold? "
Tovani puts the snapped quill down and flicks her shaking, white-knuckled fingers to spray ink across the tent.
" suuuuureeee. just take the money. yeah. it's in the chest over there.
Tovani sits, staring off into the space.

[Later, as dusk lengthens shadows]
Tovani moves, at long last, joints popping.
" hey alswith "
" no. i'm quite okay. thank you. "
" hey "

Finding a bottle from under the shadowed shelter of a pile of swords Tovani stands up

" if anyone asks i'll be in the woods, crying. "

Grenades! You can't all call lightning from the sky or breathe poison, so if you have a spare hand to throw an explosive, Strygid in her foresight has prepared these. You carry them in your pocket. Take ONE, throw it at a GROUP.

Also, I bought a bunch of oilpots a while ago and they will go great with the Pyras grenades. Take ONE. Combine the two.

==Pyras Grenades==
Explodes in a + shaped AoE, hitting for fire damage. Range is thrown strength, capped by vision. Friendly fire is on.

5 Grenades available:

12 success
10 success
14 success match 2
10 Success
14 Success

==Oilpots==
Fills a 3x3 with oil, which can catch fire if subject to flame. STR throw range, capped by vision.

We have 6 available.

Tovani woke with a headache, clutching an empty bottle of Whiteland brandy, curled up in a spiralling ring of crossbow bolts jammed into the dark earth. She blinked away the dreams of coins rolling into a furnace and brushed off the worst of the leaves.

" hey boss. Nice shooters. I've got presents. "

>Distribute Poison arrows and bolts to the archers
>Buy them some bundles of Iron Bolts [-8Silver]
