You were part of a crew on a Vessel sent from the far reached of Zeta Reticuli, a wide binary star system in the southern constellation of Reticulum. You belong to a species of synthetic silicon based lifeforms. 7 earth-years ago, you came into the Sol-system on a mission to find a reliable source of Morridium, a rare element crucial to the long term survival of your species.

Recap:
Chapter I: Arrival
The crew conducted a Mission to Earth to the continent of North-America and thoroughly inspected the human species. Having found potential in planet Earth, the crew's Engineer, Worker I, Worker II and a Mining Drone were left on the Moon to establish a base of operations. The crews Commander, Pilot, and Scientist continued on to a mission to the continent of Africa.
They never returned.

Chapter II: Marooned; With no means of leaving or communicating the remaining crew was left stranded on the moon. The next 7 years were spent arduously mining for resources and constructing a vast underground base with numerous facilities.
In this time they established Large Anti-Matter Cannons to ensure their safety. As years passed, Worker I assumed leadership and became the new [Commander], And Worker II specialised to replace the former [Scientist]. They built additional drones to help gather resources, found strange traces of life on the moon, established communications with earth, as well as with a sinister and distant organization. they advanced several fields of research and hold an impressive arsenal of new tools at their disposal. But much remains to be done to ensure their survival and to complete the mission.

Chapter III: A Way Out.
Recently, a new Vessel was acquired. Trough the effort of the Crew, A Bio-Organic Ship was restored to health, and A Hybrid was developed in the lab in order to Navigate the Vessel. The Scientist has mutated and is confined to a stasis pod after suffering an accident in the lab.

Chapter IIII. Man on the Moon.
The arrival of Artemis I is days away. The first manned mission to the moon.

[Engineer] spends the coming weeks replacing the [Flawed Grey-Bot Blueprint]. He carefully double-checks his original work to ensure this experimental device does not behave unpredictably.

The outside appearance of the grey-bot a stylized replica of a grey manufactured from a dark chrome aluminium alloy. It is not an exact duplicate, it does not blink or have any facial expressions but it is realistic enough to fool anyone not intimately familiar with greys. When operated trough the quantum helm, it instantaneously replicates movement and speech, al be it with a slight robotic voice. Without direct operation the drone stands lifelessly in place. The insides are completely mechanical and have nothing in common with any known life-form. Using it requires the operators full attention.

Year 11 On the Moon.
[Mission: Moonlanding]

The crew is gathered in the command chamber. Suddenly a screen turns on. Scanners are picking up a spacecraft entering the moon's orbit. A white cylindrical craft

It drops a smaller vessel with 2 lifeforms inside. The vessel slowly descends, using jets to stabilise the landing.

Your long-distance scans indicate it's human tech, with humans inside.

Bio Scans:
Scans indicate two male humans onboard the smaller vessel, and two onboard the larger spacecraft. the humans read as to be suspected: bipedal primates, mammalian of adult age, male.

Additionallu, there is a colony of tiny lifeforms onboard the larger spacecraft, It seems housed within a small container. Scans indicate these creatures posses no tech but are biologicly highly evolved. They posses formidable strength for their size. They read as hymenoptera with hive-mind capabilities.

Tech Scans.
Scans list a large list of unremarkable tech onboard. The [Engineer] goes trough it to find everything that is to be expected, various propulsion, communications and and navigation. equipment. Suits, breathing, and various essential tech to keep the humans alive. a type of portable land vehicle. A large list, with many things the Engineer helped design himself. At the the bottom of the list your device picks up a single [Unidentified] tech reading.

___________________________

Resource Scans: The ship contain no uncommon resources. fuel sources rely predominantly on fuel cells that combine hydrogen and oxygen to create electricity. there many steel alloys, various other materials that would be useful in production.

"This is Commander Virgil and Pilot Wright onboard the Artimis I, Command Module Landing Successful. Coordinated Received! Earth has arrived! Our Chief Scientist Anders and Engineer Gus are ready to meet up at your position!"

Not much later, your long distance scans pick up the two humans encased in white suits with spherical glass orbs around their heads. Restricted in their movement, they spend some time clumsily unpacking equipment and board a small 4 wheeled land vehicle to meet up at your location.

As they approach, they slow down and stare in disbelief at the twin towering cannons.

Eventually, The engineer opens the door to the central hub. The men descend from their vehicle and step inside. It's hard to make out their features due to the reflective spheres around their heads.
One of them holds a briefcase.
The other raises his hand in a peaceful gesture.

The commander welcomes the humans into the moon-base and introduces them to the engineer inside his workshop. He mimics what he has learned from the Lucy transmissions to great effect. The humans hang on his every word and seem thankful, they are both shocked and marvelled by the sights he shows them, they catch a glimpse of one of the tunnel drones wandering by as they leave the workshop on their way to the flight hangar.

There they behold the Remnant Vessel floating in mid air, in the middle of a test flight.

They show enormous excitement, so much so their heartbeat accelerates considerably.
They manage to hold their composure until they step into the biopsy lab to meet the Scientist. What they see forming inside those stasis pods proves to much for one of the men to handle, he empties the content of his stomach inside his space-helmet and begins suffocating in his own fluids.

The door seals behind him. the scientist activates an biosphere emulator that releases oxygen into the biopsy lab and adjusts the gravity and room temperature to favourable conditions. Just in time for the man to remove his helmet and breathe freely, the other astronaut helps the man calm down and they eventually remove parts of their spacesuit for you to inspect them clearly.

these two men are
Bob Anderson, Chief Scientist
Gus Grimson, Chief Engineer.

Once they calm down, you question them about the unknown tech signal. Initially, they seem confused, and explain that they don't know what tech you are talking about.

Gus is sitting down, cleaning the inside of his helmet with a rag, he simply shrugs and looks at the scientist.

Anderson laughs, as strange human behaviour intended to form bonds. He states they have many commodities on earth, unknown to us, that they are eager to share in time.

The Commander escorts Anderson throughout most his daily activities. He sais he enjoys the company, but is often found looking over his shoulder to see if anyone's there. He spends most of his time making blueprints of the fuel generator.

At one point during the week the commander catches him wandering out of the Command Chamber while whispering something into his wrist.

He decides this is peculiar behaviour, and it's time to see the doctor.

The Scientist Performs a Short-Range Bio Scan on Anderson.

[Success] The Scientist performs a high precision scan and finds his readings fluctuate radicly.

He initially reads.
-100% Human [Homo Sapiens Sapiens]
but the signal jumps to
-??% Human [Homo Sapiens ???]
to
-92.8% Human [Homo Sapiens Sapiens]
and then finally back to 100% Human.

Something seems to be disrupting the signal your scanners are picking up.

Anderson notices the Scientist performing a scan. He turns to the Commander and says he received a signal from his crew and that they are waiting to regroup and pick him up at a nearby location as soon as possible.

The Lab erupts in chaos.
Anders suddenly goes for a device tucked behind his belt, before he can, the Commander shoots, the shot causes anders to duck for cover behind a stasis pod and drop what he's holding. The blast evaporates a piece of lab equipment behind him and fills the room with smoke.

The Scientist uses his telekinesis to pick up several sharp tools and propel them one by one in spots where Anders is taking cover. The commander approaches to get a good shot without blowing up the stasis pods but anders springs forward like a beast on the prowl. He tackles the commander as he's about to fire another shot. With a vicious hiss, he slams him to the ground, and rends over his face with its claw. they begin wrestling for the Ray-Gun.

Construction Complete [Grey-Bot]

The outside appearance of the grey-bot a stylized replica of a grey manufactured from a dark chrome aluminium alloy. It is not an exact duplicate, it does not blink or have any facial expressions but it is realistic enough to fool anyone not intimately familiar with greys.

When operated trough the quantum helm, it instantaneously replicates movement and speech, al be it with a slight robotic voice. Without direct operation the drone stands lifelessly in place. The insides are completely mechanical and have nothing in common with any known life-form. Using it requires the operators full attention.

[Subject V]

The fluids are emptied inside the stasis pod, subject V is carefully lifted onto the operating table. A long-thin needle is inserted into his wrist to monitor his condition. The scientist administers a mild stimulant to jolt the subject awake.

The Subject awakens in confusion, he opens his eyes but they roll back inside his skull, he sits up, blinks a few times, then looks around the lab in a state of confusion and fear.

He takes a couple of deep breaths and stares wide-eyed at the commander as he explains the situation.

He looks around at the stasis pods around him and then back at the commander, he finally nods.

The [Commanders] words light a metaphorical fire inside Virgil's soul. He stands with a sense of determination. Rises a new man with a new purpose. Fiercely devoted to saving earth and bring peace to the galaxy no matter the cost.

Virgil is a natural leader, a skilled tactician and inspiring presence to troops. However, he is painfully untrained in operating grey technology and currently unsuited to operate the Command Centre.

Fortunately, Human behaviour proves highly adaptive.

How do you want Virgil to Specialise?
>Stay a Commander (Train to use Command Centre)
>Train for Soldier (New!)
>Train for Infiltrator (New!)

Virgil's first body.... the dead one. Is currently on a metal slab somewhere in the Biopsy lab, it covered by a sheet and he has not seen it, he knows you brought him back to life but is not aware of the specifics.

After preserving a sample. What is done with the body?
>Dispose of it. (Incinerate -1BR)
>Leave it
>Show it to Virgil

-[Engineer]

The Engineer is concerned by the trigger device Anders was holding and decides to spend a few days scanning the Moon-base for unusual signals. He eventually pinpoints a disturbance coming from the Fuel Generator in the Central Hub. Anders seems to have tampered with the machinery and essentially converted one of the generators storage cells into an explosive device.
It does not seem to be timed and won't go off without a trigger.
Dismantling it might be risky, on the other hand the Engineer doesn't like the idea of leaving it like this.
>Disarm (1D20)
>Leave
>Write-In

[Success] The [Engineer] spends the coming weeks installing a new Stasis Pod in the Biopsy Lab. (-5BR) This will allow you to increase your production of new subjects.

The [Scientist] uses the [Operating Table] to perform an autopsy on the Reptoid Hybrid.
Most of the body has been disintegrated, this includes all major organs except for part of the lungs, digestive track and reproductive system.
On the surface the subject is nearly identical to a human specimen.
The stomach contents suggest the creature is strictly carnivorous, It has not eaten in a while, and seems to possess a highly efficient energy storage system, being able to survive for long periods without nourishment. Empting the contents you detect traces of human flesh that are several weeks old.
The lungs suggest this creature can habituate in a variety of bio-spheres. But is most well adapted to an environment high in Carbon Monoxide, This suggests its home planet is high in volcanic activity or fumes caused by combustion.
A careful study of the skin tissue reveal it is high in chromophores. These are pigment-containing and light-reflecting cells the creature uses to manipulate the colour and shape of its skin.
You gain a great deal of information from studying the creatures DNA.
Subject is 92.8% Human and 7.2% Reptoid (of which 1% is entirely lab-made)
You Isolate the Reptoid DNA. Results suggest this species is quite ancient, having evolved alongside your biological predecessor. Results suggest that the creature is not only biologicly advanced but has a long history of gene-manipulation and well adapted to bio-tech implants. You find one such implants implanted in its wrist. A small tear-shaped metal drop. It appears to be a communication device that fried itself when his vitals shut down.
>Destroy
>Keep
>Fix
Since you find no possible explanation of what caused your scans to malfunction. You deduce it likely contained some type of cloaking-tech implant that disrupted the scanning equipment.
The artificial portion of their DNA has been interlaced with and permanently bound to Reptoid DNA.
One of it's more interesting qualities is a rare inter-dimensional configuration. You are unsure of the implications, but know that it governs a mental trait rather then a physical one.
Perhaps a more in complete specimen could help you unravel the mystery.

Commander is a more advanced class and better suited for leaderships positions, It prevents those under you from acting selfishly or uncontrolled, be it out of fear/anger/ect.

Soldiers get an extra HP (which will generally only matter if your opponent is unarmed, It depends on weapon)
They also gain an additional combat bonus (+2 on combat rolls) They can't do much around the facility except: scout, guard and operate weapons.

Infiltrator get bonuses to deception, stealth and spy stuff, can only explore, use comm relay. and scanning devices around base.

[Great Succes] The Commander spends the following weeks drilling Virgil into shape. He tries to be patient in the knowledge he is dealing with an inferior intellect, but can't help being impressed by Virgil's hard work and tenacity.
He goes trough rigorous combat training, obstacle courses and tests. Brain-bot assists in the training and the two of them become quite well matched. After the end of the month, the commander feels Virgil is ready to undertake his first mission and believes the brain-bot will prove to be a capable side-kick.

Having found obvious flaws in the human spacesuit. The Engineer decides to improve on the design. He crafts Virgil a lightweight exoskeleton with good protection and high manoeuvrability. More then providing oxygen, Its an armour that enhances his physical strength, protects his vitals and monitors his condition. It tracks him at all times. It has an inbuilt communication device, A Short-Range life-form scanner built into the Visor and a jet propulsion system allowing him to move in low-gravity conditions. The suit is of impeccable design.
But the Engineer needed to use some extra resources in order to get it done. (-12BR)

Virgil gained [ExoSuit]

During a test flight, The Pilot directs the Remnant to stop and hover in the centre of the room. For the first time, he direct his Anti-Grav Field into a beam and causes the broken land vehicle in the flight hangar to lift 20 feet of the ground.

Remnant gained [Tractor Beam]

(Day 7: Large Healthy brain. Larger then human . Highly active neurological activity detected. Sceintist expect a higher intelect, but shortened emotional range.)
(Day 8: Subject grows rapidly, larger, more muscular and physically capable then a grey. Average human height, slightly more guant. Does not posses the sensitivity to injury, and immunological fragility of humans. )
(Day 9: Develops Functioning Reproductory system. requires no Morridum. Lacks Biological Immortality. Subject will age, but at a rate 10X slower then humans.)
(Day 11) Fully developed respitory system and vocal chords. Functioning digestive system. However, both are an optional evolutionary leftover. non-essential for survival.)
(Day 13) Skin is pale white, thicker and sturdier then human. posses blue blood. Has higher resistance to extreme temperatures. Is completly hairless. Eyes large and black, similar to a greys but closer together. In comparison to humans they have an underdeloped nose and no visible ears, but posses the same sensory capabilities.
(Day 20: Subjects Complete: Flawless Specimens. Contains most advantages of both species, but the flaws of none.)

The Commander enters the Commander Chamber, he accesses the Comm-Relay and Scanning Equipment to monitor earth activity. He tries to scan the planet for any Reptoid lifeforms, but comes up short.
Even without taking into acount their cloaking -tech devices. It is to far away to accuratly pinpoint any individual subject. All he can discern is that Earth is flourishing with life from countless different species, reptialian, mammalien and otherwise. And that all tech signals are all coming from human civilizations.
He checks the Comm-Relay for point of interest, He tunes into television transmision. A man introduced as the president of the Unites States is making a statement in an open stadium infront of thousands of people.
"In light of what befell our brave country men, We must remind ourselves why we set sail on this new sea. because there is new knowledge to be gained, and new rights to be won, and they must be won and used for the progress of all people. For space science, like nuclear science and all technology, has no conscience of its own. Whether it will become a force for good or ill depends on man, and only if the United States occupies a position of pre-eminence can we help decide whether this new ocean will be a sea of peace or a new terrifying theater of war. I do not say that we should or will go unprotected against the hostile misuse of space any more than we go unprotected against the hostile use of land or sea, but I do say that space can be explored and mastered without feeding the fires of war, without repeating the mistakes that man has made in extending his writ around this globe of ours.
There is no strife, no prejudice, no national conflict in outer space as yet. Its hazards are hostile to us all. Its conquest deserves the best of all mankind, and its opportunity for peaceful cooperation may never come again.
In the face of tragedy, some say, Why? Why Risk it? Why the Moon? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask, why climb the highest mountain?
We choose to go to the Moon!...We choose to go to the Moon in this decade, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win!"

Near the end of the presidents speach. The Commander receives a direct incoming message. The source of the signal is heavily encrypted. You would ask the Engineer to track it down, but he seems preoccupied with something.

>Accept Incoming Transmission.
>Attempt to hijack the current broadcast. send a message

13+2=15 Succes: The engineer does not wish to risk his life and makes careful plans. They eventually manage to repair the Fuel Generator and disable the explosive before it destroys the entire base.

The screens opens to a shaky handheld image. You see rows and rows of cylindrical stasis pods in a dimply lit hangar. At the bottom of each of the pods is a pale blue light that allows you to see the hundreds of greys bodies floating motionlessly inside the fluids. They are altered in varying ways, some have tails, some have vicious claws instead of hands and feet. You see greys with wide mouths with rows of sharp canines, You see a grey with an elongated snout, And something that looks like a grey head on a long coiled serpentine body, with two small underdeveloped hands.

"....Your new family....." you hear the sound of a familiar, distorted voice. He laughs gutturally and steps into frame. You cannot make out his features, the image shifts, blurs and turns to static around his face, but it is undoubtedly the same man at the head of the table, who contacted you so many years ago.

"What fascinating creatures you are....Foolish.... but unique... powerfull..
He stops to stare at one of the specimens as if looking at a piece of art.
"We've had some trouble, bringing some of them to life. It seems your masters did not trust you to reproduce...."
But they are gone now....And a bright new future awaits the Greys of Zeta-Reticuli....." He gently places his hand on one of the pods with a serpentine grey inside"

[Your Long-Range Scanning equipment picks up a signal of 3 large vessels rapidly entering the Sol system trough hyperdrive, they are close to moon's orbit]

The man lights a cigarette and takes a deep drag. He grins.... " I almost forgot ...I have another surprise for you!...."
"Come!...." he casually walk out of screen leaving a trail of cigarette smoke behind him, the camera clumsily tracks behind him as he walks trough a large open doorway.

>Wait for surprise.

[Meanwhile] Virgil and the White Soldiers conduct a mission into the Dark Cavern complex. They first enter the gargantuan cave opening. And spend several days trying to track down the sounds of running water of strange wind. Their expedition leads them into a disorienting labyrinth of tunnels. It descends deeper and deeper into the ground, until temperatures begins to rise. Virgil receives an alarm signal on his comm device, and decides to cancel the expedition and return to base. On their way back, they instead stumble on a large downward shaft, terrible waves of heat rushing upward to meet them. at the bottom they make out the fiery red glow of magma. With the Assistance of the Brain-Bot, The Engineer just finished wrapping up the fail-safe on the new tunnel drone when the spinning red lights switch on and a deafening alarm blares trough the entire base.

Virgil and the soldiers believe they found a tunnel that leads directly to the surface. If they hurry, they should be able to reach base in a few hours.

[Gained Tunnel Done IV] Tunnel Drones gather [15BR]

Commander, Scientist, Engineer and Brain-Bot meet in the Command Chamber.

The screens still show the transmission of the man casually walking into another large chamber. It looks like a factory of sorts packed with machinery. he stops by a large tank, puts his cigarette in his mouth and puts on a thick protective glove on one hand.

"...What was it you called it again?..."

You can send someone back to any point in the story where they existed.
They will re-enter their body in that time with full memory of what has transpired.

Virgil is a Clone, his body has only existed for a few years. (Going by the system I layed out, I don't believe it would work to try and send him back to a point before he was grown and his original body died.)

The Engineer and Brain-Bot quickly begin closing off the entrance to the flight hangar with them safely inside. This should buy them some time to escape should the worst come to pass. Except the ship is currently not here.

It will delay anyone from reaching the flight hangar, including the Commander, Scientist and the rest of the crew.

The [Scientist] drains the fluids from Subject III's pod. It's stringy form collapses onto itself without the fluids to lift it. It eventually awakens, rises from the ground as the element 115 starts running trough it veins. It levitates outside into the halls.

What do you want him to do?
>Perform Detailed Life-form Scan on Ships.

-The Commander cuts of the transmission and diverts his attention to the rapidly incoming ships, right on time to see them descending.

His scan picks up highly advanced tech. A cigar shaped cargo ship with 6 life-form inside that posses a forcefield.
It's being escorted by two smaller, black, arrow shaped gunships.

One is installed with powerful electromagnetic charge cannon meant to shut down tech.
The other a rapid fire rail-gun. They bear some similarities in design to the triangular ship you encountered earlier.

You see the EMP Gunship take aim at your massive Anti-Matter cannons while the Cargo ship is landing.

Your twin Massive Cannons can fire two shots at a singe target. What does the Commander do?
>Shoot at Cargo Ship (2D20)
>Shoot at EMP Gunship (2D20)
>Shoot at Rapid-Fire Gunship. (2D20)
>Leave Facility (Choose)
>Relay A Message. (Write-In)
>Go Outside.

-The Pilot leaves the Flight Hangar trough a gate in the ceiling and flies out to intercept the enemy, he approaches to find them well prepared. He's barely left the Hangar before he is grazed by a hail of shots fired in his direction and several small holes are opened into the side of the ship. They rapidly close as he regenerates. He is forced to retreat before they land a direct hit.

The Pilot takes his Vessel close and around the enemy. forcing the the rapid-fire gunship to abandon it's position and give chase. The remnant leads it around in circles and dodges the constant flurry of shots for long enough to lead the enemy right into the open. The Massive Anti-Matter Cannons send a powerful beam that causes the rapid fire gunship to explode into tiny pieces, what's left crashes to the ground with all lifeforms inside eradicated.

[Destroyed Gunship RF]

The EMP Gunship on the other hand makes an evasive manoeuvrer right on time and unleashes a powerfull blue orb of energy back at the Cannons, It hits. It erupts in strings of electric energy that dance around the point of impact. . All the lights, screens and buttons in the Command Chamber die out and everything turns dark around you.

The Commander continues to press buttons on the control panel in frustration and disbelief. but to no avail.

When the light shuts down in the flight hangar the Engineer begins to sprint in the direction of the central hub and fuel generator.

[Pilot]
The Pilot sees the Cannons shut down and the enemy cargo-ship landing safely. It drops open a gate a the front, and the first wave of life-forms run out. The creature leading the charge is humanoid more lizard then man. He has scaled skin and a barbed tail, you see several implants and modifications that offer him light armour protection. He is holding a plasma riffle in one of his claws.

Two soldiers follow close behind , humanoid in advanced spacesuits. They have circular helmets made out of a gold reflective material , you can't make out their features inside the suit, but they are both armed with riffles.

The leader point up and the three of them take aim at the Remnant. The EMP Gunship turns to face the Remnant aswell.

[Engineer]
[Catastrophic Failure] The Engineer quickly opens a lid on the fuel generator to find most of the insides fried. He tries to clear the smoke and reaches inside to try and remove a fuel cell, but burns his hands on a searing piece of machinery. It could have been worse if you failed to remove the bomb, but the entire facility is currently shut down. The damage could take hours, even days to repair. The Engineer does what he can while the crew is left in the dark with no knowledge of what is transpiring outside. a few minutes later you hear noises outside the entrance to the Central Hub, must dust creeps from the edges as several heavy slams ring against the door.... then silence.

Engineer, Brain-Bot, Tunnel Drones and Subject III are currently in the Central Hub.

Meanwhile, a fourth creature steps out of the cargo ship. A 12 ft monstrosity. Hunched and hulking. with long muscular arms reaching to the ground. Clawed hands that could crush a man skull with ease. Some of its features seem disturbingly familiar, The face shares many of your Grey Commander's features. But his eyes are filled with bloodlust and his drooling mouth is filled with rows of sharp teeth.

The remnant loops around then flies straight in their direction, swaying from side to side to skilfully evade the flurry of incoming fire coming from the ground. The Gunship shoots an EMP shot in-front of the pilot's trajectory, he passes trough the explosion but remains unaffected.

He performs a barrel roll then a sharp turn and tries to lift up the hulking brute. His tractor beams pulls the creature closer, But unexpectedly the creature leaps upwards into the beam and slams into the bottom of the ship. It digs its massive claws as deep as it can and hangs on for dear life. Moments later, It attempts to scurry up to the back of the ship and towards the entrance.

The Remnant takes the ship higher and higher and then straight down. He plunges into a spinning nosedive. Straight toward the cargo ship, puling up sharply at just the last moment.

The Hulking Brute is sent straight trough the top of the cargo-ship's wind-shield at high speeds. It remains there, encased in bent shards of metal and shattered reinforced glass, twitching. [Reptoid Commander Unconscious]

The three soldiers stare back at disbelief and order another flurry of shots directed at the remnant as he flies away. (rolling for shots)

Meanwhile, the fifth figure has approached the central hub gate.

Inside, the crew sees a line of sparks shooting from the sides of the circular door, it is rapidly being welded open.

The Engineer takes a lesson from Anders'. He removes a fuel cell from the generator and with some materials from the workshop, rigs it into an improvisational explosive.

[Meanwhile] As the enemy is spending time welding open the gate. Virgil and the Soldiers have found a way up trough a tunnel that leads straight to the moons surface, it's not attached to the base. About half a mile away, he sees the large cargo-ship outside and gunship still in the sky. Just outside the Moon-base gates, He sees the 3 soldiers firing volleys at the remnant in the sky.

A fourth, tall, gaunt figure is interacting with the gate, they are not aware of your position.

The beast exhales and takes several determined and menacing steps towards Virgil. Your Soldier rushes to grab the creature's arm and pull it back, the creature drops to one knees and turns to pull it's arm free, this sends the Soldier flying trough the cargo ship. When it turns back to face Virgil. He has the pistol pressed point blank to it's forehead. He fires a round, the head reels back as he sends a bullet straight into its skull, the creature mouth drops open and blood runs from all the holes in its face, it snarls. He fires a second shot that drops it flat to the ground. then a third and a fourth to the back of the head for good measure. The hulking monstrosity is killed, a pool of greenish-blue blood starts to form around it.

[Meanwhile] The 3 identical mirages of the Reptoid/Grey Engineer press several buttons on their omni-tool, a blue blade of energy emerges from it. In an instant, they seem to teleport forward and slice the brain-bot across the face, the glass dome at the top is cleaved in two and a sizeable chunk of brain drops to the floor with a wet splash.

The brain-bot deactivates, drops to it's knees and falls face first to the ground with a loud metal clang.

This one is partly amphibious, you see gills behind its neck
The Scientist removes the brain, he finds it to be similar to human anatomy, but with an overdeveloped amygdala, the reptile part of the brain. Study into the brain and their interdimensional qualities suggest they gain additional nourishment from on energy emitted by organic neurological activity, fear in particular
further analysis into the DNA and Brain reveal that they are particularly tuned to a specific interdimensional influence . Your studies suggest that could be able to channel or become possessed by disembodied non-physical entities that reside in an alternate, metaphysical dimension.

As you start drilling into his head, his frenzied laughter turns to raspy coughing and death-rattles, you remove his organs one by one while keeping him alive trough-out the process, he falls into a catatonic state, staring blankly and unblinkingly ahead of him. you learn the fine mechanics of reptoid physiology, nothing new except a few minor details..but you can confirm a couple of thing that were only theoretical before.

Virgil and the Soldier delve deeper, continueing their search for the Tunnel Drones. These natural caves are a confusing labyrinth full of tunnels both breathtakingly large and claustrophobically small, many of them look nearly identical and your not always sure if your threading into new terrain or if you've been here before, going downward proves allot easier then climbing back up and they start to wander miles from base. After searching another day he enters a spherical cave opening with a large dark hole in the centre of the floor...It's so deep your lights can't reach the bottom... he thinks he hears the faint sounds of drilling coming from the bottom...but can't be sure... it might be some kind of wind.. a whisper?...

While ascending back up, and back-tracking to the turface, [Virgil] and the [Soldier] discover that a small tunnel they came in by has collapsed. forcing them to try and find an alternate route. They will not be able to act during the next phase. The White does not need to eat. But Virgil's Protein-Bars the Scientist supplied him with will only last him another week at best.

As an aside, the Prez will be at the very top of the list to be replaced. If the Reptoids haven't grabbed him already they will soon, and we will need to prepare for that eventuality (of the US Gov being compromised) if we can't stop it.

......fuck, we might need to assassinate JFK.
>>
>>3679008
we need to start working toward the time machine I am pretty sure this timeline is fucked
>>
>>3679036
You say fucked, I say it's just getting exciting. No more shall we sit in our tunnels, since it's now our job to stop the Reptoids taking over Earth, and the stakes are high for everyone. Let the Great Game begin!
>>
>>3679036
going to sleep its 1 am
>>
>>3679008
ok thats cool but we still should have a grey at base and ready to enter the time machine
>>
>>3679571
Oh, sure, but the TM is an absolute last resort for when all is lost and there is no hope remaining or we have irreversibly blocked ourselves into a corner. We're still fine for now and have plenty of opportunity to stop things going to shit and limit/fix the damage so while it is on the todo list we have more pressing issues to see to in order to avoid having to use it in the first place.
>>
>>3679634
yeah just saying we have it in our base super defended and is the last resort
>>
>>3679571
>>3679634
>>3679766
still plan first when we get to earth is to form a kind of x-com and rooting out the alien menace possibly assassinating the aliens and figuring out what alien species live on earth doing men in black stuff
>>
>>3680000
I can't help but chuckle at the thought of stereotypical grey aliens assisting Earth to defend itself against.....insidious aliens.

Anyway, what sort of tech level are the Americans at? I'm thinking about 1970ish, which means gXCOM would be flying around in F-106s and Hueys and brandishing M14s or early M16s. Methinks we'll need to tech them up significantly for them to be effective.
>>
>>3681573
neurolizers also should be worth while looking into but greys the aliens famous for abductions and writing rude things in fields helping earth is a funny thought

sorry for the sudden disappearance, T'was culmination of a terrible hangover, my cat getting sick and an insane heatwave. It left me alittle fucked up and burnt-out.

Most importantly my cat's okay now but on valium. I'm taking a holiday next week but will have a new thread up after that if your all still game. thanks for the patience!
>>
>>3695248
