Everything happened so fast. Before all of this, you were Freya Godsblood, princess of Ordamark, and you were the most beautiful women in the land. But everything changed for you, as you've caught the eye of the Dark Lord Lazarus Drack who, seeing you, decided to claim you as his wife.

Now, you're his Empress, the Dark Queen Freya Drack, and your reign has just begun.

Last time, after being lectured by Irene about you doing all the things you did those past months while being pregnant, and after agreeing with here on some points, you went back to the party to see the Mulligan Circus performances.

Then after the party was over, you and Lazarus went to your bedroom to make sweet, tender love.

When you were asleep, you Metraton is the one who brought you so that you can keep your promise to follow his words to the letter without questions. He surprised you when he asked you to want you to have the Drack Empire ally with the Black Moon and fight Hagëndorff. He told you to do as you want, taking a direct or indirect approach, but all that matter is that Hagëndorff loses the war and Kazeel Thorn take Lynn, AND LAZARUS MUST BE HERE WHEN IT HAPPEN. You accepted and tried to learn why he wants this, but he only replied that he trusted you completely.

You did not manage to fall asleep. When you came out of the realm of dreams, Metraton's words stayed in your head, you try to understand why he wants you to do that, and why Lazarus has to play such an important role.

Your little deer (or giant blue god) have never let you down, you trust him as much as he trusts you, you owe him a lot and he owes you just as much, but you know that he has a bone to pick with the Light, with God. Is he trying to start another rebellion against Heaven ? Whatever his reasons, he has asked you and you will do it. The question now is whether or not you will tell your husband everything when he wakes up.

Lazi i had a little visit from a old friend in my dream.... things will get complicated very soon. Long story short in the coming war between Thorn and Hagëndorff Thorn has to win or that Hagëndorff loses the war and Kazeel Thorn take Lynn AND the most IMPORTANT part is that you has to be there when it happend and that you take part in this war for why he didn`t say. But i trust him, and i have already a idea on how we can best benefit from the coming war.

+As for the plan its rather simply we play both sides. We will talk with Hagëndorff in the next few days about his war and you Lazi has to tell him that we will "help" Thorn in this war but not with armed forces but only with food and equipment because you are a old friend of his but we will send a few Saboteurs to help Hagëndorff to show him that we are on his side, to help him against Thorn af cause we will send a few to Thorn as well to keep there war going as long as we can, to weaken both sides. With that we can "play" to be a friend of Thorn and help him in his invasion in the south(see map). We will tell Thorn that we can`t really help him in his invasion because of the threat of Hagëndorffs fleet that could invade us and only can take the part of it like i showed you on the map with two Legions as the rest needs to be ready to defend our empire, we will tell Hagëndorff that we could "invade" him with 2 Legions and take a part of his empire to save keep it after all when we have it Thorn won`t need to conquer and destory it and with this if this war of his doesn`t go how he wishes 1/3 of his Empire will remain intact and he doesn`t need to repair it. I`m sure he will accept this as a necessity since this war will be fought in his own courtyard and not in a foreign Kingdom and his population has a place where they can flee to other ways they could only flee to the west and even Lynn has only limited space to take in refugees form this war. In the end we can only win if Thorn wins we simply keep what we have and when Hagëndorff wins we have to talk with him about our compensation.

You're going to tell him, you won't hide anything from him. You embrace him, resting your head against his chest.

The next day, the rays of the rising sun illuminate the rooms, you managed to fall asleep and feel well rested, you wake up at the same time as your husband. He smiles and gives you a lovely kiss.

>"Good morning my love." he grins.

He gets up from the bed to get dressed but you catch his hand.

>"Wait, I have something really important to tell you."

Your husband sit back on the bed, you don't let go of his hand and start explaining.

>"Lazi, I had a little visit from an old friend in my dream . . . . Things will get complicated very soon. Long story short, in the coming war between Thorn and Hagëndorff, Thorn has to win and takes Lynn. AND the most IMPORTANT part is that you take part in this war and be there when Thorn takes Lynn."

>"What ? He really wants this ? But why do I need to be with Kazeel Thorn when he takes Lynn ?"

>"He didn't tell me why, but I trust him. So this means that you are alright with this ?"

>"I have doubts, if he's not willing to tells you the whole truth then he must have something in mind that he knows you wouldn't accept. But this is a unique opportunity, this is what I wanted for years, I'll be able to have my vengeance. So yes, we'll have this war.

>"Then it's decided. And I already have an idea on how we can best benefit from the coming war."

>"Oh ? Does my Empress as an interested in strategy and military tactics ?"

>"Perhaps. You'll see when soon enough."

After this discussion, the two of you go for the bathroom and get cleaned, you go back to your bedroom later, and after a moment Silviana and the maids knock at the door to help you two get dressed and clean the room.

After breakfast, you start working on your schedule for the first week of the year.

It's time to prepare for meeting between the ruling heads of the continent. You think back to you heard from everyone, the last time such a meeting happened, it was to discuss about a prophecy about the end of the world. You thought this was going to be less heavy, but with Metraton's wish, it's going to be difficult.

In the afternoon, you and Lazarus are in a beautiful meeting room with Hagëndorff, Parsifal and Titania, you are sitting at a round table to show that you don't consider any of them above the other during negotiations.

>"It feel nostalgic, isn't it ?" Hagëndorff says.

>"Indeed, the last time we had this kind of meeting Queen Helennae was here and the north was still several separated kingdoms." Titania adds.

>"I was actually looking for a way to contact her and have her take part in this meeting." you explain.

>"It's been years since any of us heard about her, she never really cared a lot about humans politics, and since dragons are older than us elves she believes that we lack the wisdom to see the whole picture." Titania replies.

>"The fact that she gave each of us a dragon as a sign of good faith was already a lot. Let's not dwell in the past, the absent are always wrong." Hagëndorff declares.

>"Yes, let us talk about the future instead. Great Emperor Hagëndorff, before I closed the borders of my kingdom, we were talking about a mutual defense pact. And you wanted an Alliance instead." Titania says.

>"Yes, a mutual defense pact puts me at a disadvantage. For us to act the threat need to be identified first, and if something threatens the Old Forest, then my empire must be already falling. If that the case, then I won't be able to help anyway. An alliance is more interesting as we can project our military power and fight threats before they happen." Hagëndorff explains

>"But this mean that we'll have to help you in any conflicts, and we don't want to intervene in any petty human war." Titania retorts.

>"Those petty human wars are what made the empire, and are what protect you from outside threats. You want me to spill the blood of my people for you but what you give me in exchange is just the hope that you'll fight alongside us if some cataclysm happens." Hagëndorff tells her.

>"If another demonic incursion happen, we high elves will fight like before, we-" Titania starts.

>"Queen Titania, as much as I respect you and the struggles of your people, the last demonic incursion ended without you needing to intervene, the elves are no longer the bulwark against Darkness. During the time of the Tharque empire already, you wouldn't have been able to win alone. Your numbers were too diminished because of the War of the Divide, and the Light blessed humans to fight against the demonic hordes." Hagëndorff says.

>". . . I can't deny that . . . But I'm working on increasing the size of my army, I have already started to reform the whole kingdom and-" Titania explains.

>"Titania, I don't want to sound rude, I truly want to help you, but you must understand that the glory of the elves is long gone, you may outlive us all, but you'll never find back the power you had. Accept this alliance, think about your people, let go of your pride." Hagëndroff tells her.

Titania looks calm, but you know that deep down she's angry, but she can't say anything against this, this is the unfortunate truth, despite being powerful, compared to Hagëndorff's empire, or even yours, Titania's kingdom can't do much. Too much time has passed since the high elves, or the elven races as a whole, did something worthwhile, and from what the Queen of the high elves and Luna told you, they are considered by some people a race on the decline.

Parsifal didn't say anything, instead he's listening, perhaps waiting for his opportunity, he isn't really concerned by this alliance, he's already following Hagëndorff. You turn to look at Lazarus and see in his eyes that he wants nothing more than punching the everliving shit out of the Great Emperor.

What are you going to do ?

You decide to intervene, but without choosing a side.

>"Why don`t you two take the middle ground with a mutual defense pact, but as an addition Queen Titania commits herself to send troops to help you in a war, how about that ?" you ask.

>". . . . Again, I don't want to have elven blood spilt in common human wars. I'm willing to help against any enemy that are a threat to the world, but I refuse to send them to die for a cause that isn't ours." Titania replies.

>"And I don't want to sign a treaty where I'll be at a disavantage before I can get the help of my allies, as I said a mutual defense pact mean that we'll act once the threat is already here, and if something threaten the Old Forest, then my empire must already be in bad shape, meaning that I'll be unable to fullfil my part of the deal." Hagëndorff adds.

Lazarus is getting annoyed, the two of them won't change their opinions. Suddenly, Parsifal speaks up.

>"I think the Great Emperor Hagëndorff is right. Queen Titania, I admire your dedication to your people, and understand that you want the best for them. But for eons the elves remained secretive, only acting when it was needed. Things have changed now, you are making some changes yourself, and waiting as the world move isn't something you and your people can do anymore. You can no longer watch from the side, it'll come a time where you must choose. This time is now. Are you going to stay closed to the world or take a more active part in the future." the Prince of Arcadia declares.

Titania doesn't replies, again Parsifal isn't wrong, Titania was the one who wanted to come back to the game, but things won't go her way, and she feel powerless. She turns to look at you and Lazarus, there is a light in her eyes.
What are you going to do ?

It would be foolish to not take advantage of this situation, so you speak up immediately.

>"In that case, the Drack Empire will gladly accept the conditions of Queen Titania." you say.

Hagëndorff, Parsifal and Titania look at you, Lazarus smile and speak.

>"The Drack Empire wish to sign a mutual defence pact with the Old Forest, and deepen the friendship with Queen Titania." he tells them

This time the Queen of the High Elves looks happy, Hagëndorff frowns.

>"I can't approve of this, I'm sure you understand why having a kingdom inside my empire allied with an outside nation is quite problematic." the Great Emperor says.

>"Why ?Were you planning on starting a war with one of us ? Queen Titania exposed her conditions and you refused, we have no problems with those conditions so we accept them. And you have nothing to say in this, since it concern two independent kingdoms you have no control over." Lazarus replies with a grin.

Hagëndorff stay impassive, Titania try to calm the situation.

>"If things are going this way, why not have a mutual defence pact between the Great Empire, the Drack Empire, Arcadia and the Old Forest ? Let us join forces, and together we will be able to counter all threats, terrestrial as well as otherworldly." she explains.

>". . . Unfortunately, this isn't in the interest of my empire. The high elves kingdom and the Drack Empire are two different matters that I must treat differently." Hagëndorff answers.

>"Arcadia already has an alliance with the Great Empire. It would be dishonorable to ally ourselves with another kingdom that isn't allied to our friend. So I must refuse as well." Parsifal replies.

Here you have it. If you ally yourself with Titania, Hagëndorff and Parsifal will stay neutral toward the Drack Empire. If you ally yourself with the Great Emperor you will gain two powerful allies but lose all the support of Titania, and perhaps the friendship the two of you have.

No matter what they say, you'll stand your ground.

>"Then it's decided, the Drack Empire will signa mutual defense pact with Queen Titania." you declare.

Hagëndorff and Parsifal don't say anything, they either accept your decision, or don't want to argue because they have something else in mind. Titania is part happy, part dissapointed. The negociations for her "common mutual defense pact" went down, but she won another ally, one that will not betray her. A couple of scribes are called and the terms of the mutual defense pact between the Drack Empire and the High elves.
>Queen Titania and the high elves swear to help the Drack Empire in case of war.
>The Drack Empire swear to help Queen Titania and the high elves in case of war.

You don't find anything else to change or add. The mutual defense pact declaration is drafted, written and then signed by Lazarus Titania and you. Titania places her seal on the red wax, Lazarus do the same and the two of them shake hands

>"Let there be know that the Drack Empire is now ready to stand by the Old Forest Kingdom's side, as ally and friend." Lazarus declares.

>"Likewise, the Old Forest Kingdom is ready to help the Drack Empire against our common enemies." Titania adds.

With this, you now have an ally in the south.

> Diplomacy : Drack - Old Forest Mutual defense Pact

You all sit down and go on with the meeting.

>"It is unfortunate that w didn't manage to find a common ground to form an alliance, but perhaps finding new trade deals could help us all see the advantage of working together in the future. Empress Freya, you wanted us to talk about our actual deal and how you wanted to change it." Hagëndorff says.

>"Indeed, the situation changed and trading so much of our resources isn't in our interest." you reply.

>"Yes, if I remember you wanted something like . . . "
= +1 Resources / month
= -1 Agriculture / month
= +5 Heavy Elite armors (for specialized troops) / month
>"And as I said yesterday, this new deal cuts quite a lot of resources and I believe we should decrease the amount of Elite gear in the deal. Do you think 3 EG/ months is appropriate ?"

For the number exchanged this isn't so bad, but if you don't need elite gears this could seem like a waste. You could propose something else, or simply end the deal. There is also the possibility of trading with Arcadia, which is a great all around producer of resources and food.

Emperor Hagëndorff as you said yesterday "We should put the trade deal on hold so we can negotiate properly at a later date" i think that later might be in this case "after" you dealed with your little problem in the east. With the tension right now you think it's best to not try and negotiate a new deal.

I think that later might be, in this case, "after" you're finished dealing with your little problem in the east. So we can negotiate the best trade deal in our mutual interest one it's done." you say.

>"Hmm, a wise decision. Things could change a lot depending on how the "problem" is solved. So be it, our trade deal will be on hold until the situation become less tense." he replies.

>"Then it's decided. Now, Prince Parsifal, we had a talk about the training of 120 Paladins for the Cathedral of the Light we are building." you tell him.

>"Yes, and I'm more than happy to oblige. I'll train and send those paladins a soon as possible, but in exchange you must promise that you'll only use them to guard and defend the Cathedral or fight against the darkness, not in war as soldiers. If you agree with this there are several options you can choose for their training, the cost will increase as their gears and experience is higher ." he explains.

>"Good. And one last thing, Prince Parsifal. About using the Paladins, you will have to say this to the Bishop because I want them under the authority of the Bishop of the light, as a sign of good faith. >"Then your words are enough. I trust the decision of your Bishop of the light and I believe your heart is in the right place, I have faith that you won't use the Paladins to do evil." he says.

Seems like Parsifal have some faith in you. Now that everything is dealt with, the negotiations can officially stop. Titania couldn't have her tri-mutual defense pact but gained you as an ally so she's satisfied. Hagëndorff is probably upset, after all the kingdom inside of his empire just allied with a foreign power, and it's never a good thing, but he don't show it. Parsifal is probably neutral about the whole thing, but showed some trust.

You have nothing else to say, the meeting didn't end on a sour note, but thing could have been better. You leave the room with everyone, and you invite them for tea. The five of you enjoy a warm cup in the garden of the palace, and even if you discuss without any problem, you can feel how tense thing are when Hagëndorff and Titania speak together. Once it's done everyone go back to their room for the evening. You explain to Lazarus that the two of you are going to talk with Hagëndorff in private, you send a servant and after some minutes you are in a salon far from any possible prying ears with the Great Emperor.

>"I must say that I'm quite intrigued as to why you wanted to see me right after the negotiations. Are you perhaps looking to establish a deal that Prince Parsifal and Queen Titania can't know about ?" Hagëndorff says.

>"Nothing of the sort, your highness. I know things didn't go as planned for you, but I have a little surprise for you, that will be far more talkative to you than it was to me, and you will learn a great deal from it, I'm sure of it." you reply.

The Great Emperor is intrigued, so you don't wait any longer and ask the guard outside to bring your "surprise". The door open and the assassin is brought completely immobilized thank to heavy chains, and a gag made of metal so he can't use his mouth to do anything. Hagëndorff's eyes move slightly but he remains emotionless.

>"Hmm, I see that you managed to catch a close collaborator of my little problem. I actually have a couple of them deep under my dungeon. You are right when you say they can be talkative when you know what to do. This is a great gift, and I can't thank you enough for helping me." he tells you.

>"Well, maybe you could listen to us ? We know that a war is brewing is the south. You are going to fight against Kazeel Thorn. We may have a plan that could greatly help you." you ask.

>"Oh? . . . Interesting, please tell me more, I'm willing to hear you out." he answers.

>"First of all, we will "help" Thorn in this war, not with armed forces but only with food and equipment. You must understand that the Black Moon was my mentor and he's still a friend." Lazarus says.

>". . . . I must say I'm quite disappointed. I was expecting something else from you Emperor Lazarus. To have such an evil being as your mentor say a lot about how much you could do." Hagëndorff replies.
>>
Lazarus is getting angry at what the Great Emperor is implying, so you quickly speak up.

>"But that only what we are going to do officially. We will send a few Saboteurs to help yo with covert operations and sabotages, as well as harassing the Black Moon supply lines." you say.

>"So officially you can't help me, as you support the Black Moon. But you want me to win this war so you're going to send men to disrupt the Black Moon military power." Hagëndorff replies.

>"That not all. To help you protect your empire, we could "invade" with 2 Legions and take a part of it to safeguard it. After all, when we have it Thorn won't need to conquer and destroy it." you explain.

>". . . . If I understand correctly, you want me to hand over a third of my empire to a sovereign nation, have their soldiers occupy my lands, and hope that I'll get it back once the war is over. . . . Do you think I'm a fool ?" he asks.

>"What ? No. We truly want to help you, think about all the people that will be affected by war, and- " you start.

>"Empress Freya, you are a naive girl if you think any ruler would accept this. This war will be over quickly, the Black Moon army is weak.I reject your "plan". I'm going to forget this, and pass it as a young girl that want to help, but you should learn a little more before trying to save the world." he declares.

His words make you embarrassed, so that how he considers you ? What he said during your first meeting in Lynn was nothing more than basic courtesy ? Lazarus is fuming and about to "Kindly" end the meeting here.
Do you do something ?

Sadly i had the misfortune misfortunes pleasure to have meet Thorn and all i can say is tha he is a Manipulative and what kind of person creates a relgion for himself, not a good one that's certainly. With that "invade" 1/3 of your empire will not see the war and the reconstruction will be by far faster as if your intiere empire has scars from that war and what will you do if a refugee crisis breaks out? All your citizens will run west and in the end will end in Lynn so i ask you how many can Lynn take in 500 thousand maybe even more then a million but what will you do when Lynn is full? They will still run to your Capital even if they will have to camp before closed gates and then soon after that the epidemics will start in your empire not because of the fighting but because your People will run away from someone like Thorn. If you let us "invade" ou not only will be 1/3 save from the war as i said but your citizens will have another save place where they got go to. So i ask you again not for your empire sake but your your citizens so they don't have to go through what the Northern Kingdoms had to go through.

+If you think this will be over quickly i think you are painfully wrong, he IS preparat and the things he said it was more then clear what he meant and what he is ready to do. Underestimating is the worst you can do in your war with Thorn.

You gently take Lazarus's hand, and look at him. He calms down and you sigh before replying.

>"Sadly, I had the displeasure of meeting Thorn, and all I can say is that he is a manipulative man, what kind of person creates a relgion for himself, not a good one that's certain. And if you think this war will be over quickly I think you are painfully wrong, he IS prepared, and the things he said were more than clear about what he meant and what he is ready to do. Underestimating is the worst you can do in your war with the Black Moon. With this "invasion" we are proposing, a third of your empire will be sheltered from the war and the reconstruction will be by far faster than if your entire empire has scars from that war." you say.

>"And I believe you are severely underestimating the Great Empire. Do you think this is the first war we have to face ? Do you think I don't know what's at stakes ? Don't be so condescending, you are insulting me. The Black Moon doesn't have the power to hurt the empire, they are more of a hindrance, something vile that must be destroyed. And that what I shall do." Hagëndorff replies.

>"What will you do if a refugee crisis breaks out ? All your citizens will run west and they will more than likely end in Lynn so I ask you, how many can Lynn take in ? 500 000, maybe even more than a million ? But what will you do once Lynn is full ? So I ask you again not for your empire sake, but for your citizens so they don't have to go through what the Northern Kingdoms had to go through." you explain.

>"If I what I learned after your visit is true, then wasn't your husband the one responsible for what happened to the northern kingdoms ? And with his obvious ties with the Black Moon don't you think I shouldn't be wary of such a proposition ? But that enough, I won't say anything else as I am a guest here so to not insult you, unlike what you have done since the start of the negociations" he tells you.

The Great Emperor get up from his seat and go for the door.

>"I don't want to impose, so my wife and I are going to leave tomorrow. Once Kazeel Thorn is dealt with, and my problem with the Order of the Light is resolved, we'll take our time to carefully discuss about what the future relationship of our two empires will be. Emperor Lazarus Drack, Empress Freya Drack, goodnight." he declares.

With this the great emperor leaves the room, leaving you and Lazarus alone. None of you are saying anything. You turn to your husband and you see him on the verge of lashing out. Suddenly, with a scream of pure rage, he slams his fist on the table, breaking in.

>"WHO THE HELL DOES HE THINK HE IS ? ! ? WE ARE OFFERING OUR HELP AND HE REJECTS US AS IF WE WERE MERE PEASANTS ! ! ! AND HE HAS THE NERVE THE INSULT YOU ON TOP OF ALL THIS ! ! ! I'M GOING TO REMOVE EACH OF HIS LIMBS AND DECAPITATE HIM BEFORE PUTTING EACH PART ON PIKE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE ! ! !"

The dread knight is going to have another fit of rage, you remember what happened the last time, when you two had an argument, it's not going to be pretty.

You have to calm him down. You get up and go behind him, you wrap your arms around him and rest your head on his shoulder.

>"Lazi, remember what I have told you? You will be in Lynn at the "end", and we can remind him of our offer when his empire crumbles around him and how he could have prevented it." you tell him.

Your closeness and your words have an instant effect on the Dark Lord, he calms down, his breathing become quieter and he sighs heavily.

>"Yes, you are right, I'm sorry for getting angry like that. . . . He'll soon have all the time to regret being such an arrogant asshole." he replies.

You smile and give him a quick kiss on the cheek. Look like you managed to stop him from breaking everything and perhaps do something stupid.

He gets up from his seat, and the two of you leave the salon. It's soon going to be time for dinner, since the mood isn't the best you won't have a dinner with your honored guests. Instead, you ask the chef to bring your dinner to your bedroom, and you and Lazarus enjoy warm food on the balcony. It's nice to have a break, and spending time just the two of you is lovely. Another year together, and you hope that many, many more will follow. As night is falling, the temperature began to drop as well, you go back inside and enter the bathroom. Once you and Lazarus are naked, you both enter the hot water bath and you sit on his lap, you let him kiss your neck as he caresses your belly, which became quite big and will keep getting bigger as the life inside you keep growing. Lazarus comment that he loves you, and that he hopes that this child is the first of many, many more. You turn your head to lovingly kiss him, completely agreeing with him.

Once you are clean, you exit the bathroom and go into your bedroom, but as you prepare to dress for bed you see Lazarus "great hammer" in its full glory and understand you are going to do much more than sleeping tonight.
>Lie on the bed, Loving time.
>Bend over, Demon time.
>Get on your knee, Maid time.
>Prepare the handcuff, Binding time.
>Make him lie down, Wolf time.

we will simply stated that it was a gift from "someone" who saw what good we plan for the north and what would be the other method to get one, who would believe that Freya or someone else be able to kill an Angel

It's time for some love. You ask your husband to wait just a little moment, and you go for your wardrobe to put on your sexy black lingerie. You then walk to your bed with a sensual sway of your hips, feeling the intense gaze of the Dark Lord on you, you lie on the bed and spread your legs wide apart showing everything.

>"Now dear husband of mine, why don't you come here so we can keep each other warm on this cold night of January ?" you playfully ask.

Your husband grins and joins you on the bed, you hold hands as you kiss each other, and soon you moan with pleasure as he enters you, wrapping your legs around him to make sure he'll stay inside all night, not that he'll do anything else.

In a bedroom of the royal wing.

Hagëndorff the Fair isn't sleeping, he seems troubled. Queen Gwendolyn wakes up and notices the preoccupied face of her husband.

>"Aren't you sleeping my Lord ? Is something bothering you ?" she asks him.

>"I don't know what to think. I believed those two were just like any other, one violent warlord that married a pretty princess. But the more I learn about them, the more confused I become about what to think of them. Lazarus seems violent, ready to do things worthy of a monster, and his ties with the Black Moon could make him an enemy. Freya is young and naive, she wants to have everything without losing anything, not understanding that sometimes you have to let people die for the greater good. But at the same time . . . I see how strong their empire is becoming, how happy the people are to have them as sovereign . . . And their plan, something like that should obviously be a trap . . . But with how sincere she was, she can't be this naïve, she must knew that I was going to refuse, so why . . . " he says.

>"You shouldn't let those questions keep you awake, for now let the night help you calm your mind, you may have a clearer head tomorrow morning." she tells him.

>"Yes, you are right, my dear wife. Sorry for waking you, let us sleep now." he replies.

The great emperor and his wife soon fall asleep, with him trying to think too much about what he heard today.
