You wake. The monthly waking hour used to check up on systems and comrades. This cramped ball was anything but comfortable. You had to sit and keep your arms crossed to avoid feeling pressure somewhere. At least the travels were done through long periods of hibernation. You open your eyes and press a few keys below your right hand to prop up a projected radar in front of you. Their fellow ships were still running and function and flying along with you. With another few key presses, you initiate comms with your subordinates.

“Raditz. Nappa. Are your systems still optimal?”

Raditz’ face is the first to appear on a screen to your left. “Yes sir. Running along smoothly.” His tone is stern and humble. A good servant, obedient, brutal, smart… If it weren’t for his power level of 1.500, he’d be an elite by now.

Then comes Nappa, the hologram shows him fiddling around his ship. “Is this thing on?”

You sigh.

Nappa breaks into a sweat as he sees you on the screen. “Prince Vegeta. I-“

“Can it. Are your systems optimal?”

“Yes, sir…” Nappa seems like a fidgeting child. Brute force is all he has, though he has shown cunning at times. Still, 4.000 is the level of a Saiyan Elite. Anything his brutality touches vanishes in an instant. He’ll never reach Super-Elite level though.

You check your own power level with a click of your scouter. Still at a healthy 16.000, your father told you it was the highest ever reached by any of the Saiyans he ever knew. He believed you were the legendary Super Saiyan. Super Saiyan or not, you know that many surpass your power in Freeza’s elite forces. And Freeza’s… You shudder at the thought.

Only a few more weeks of hibernation and you’ll all reach Rekar, a rocky planet with medieval-feudal bug-like humanoids ruled by a supposedly powerful god-emperor and his lords. The pencil pushers of Freeza’s Army spoke well of its mineral deposits.

“Everyone alright?”
Both Raditz and Nappa seem surprised at the sudden question. The former nods, “Yeah.”, the latter nods as well, “What’s up Vegeta, care about us that much?” He smirks.

“You’re tugging on a very short rope, Nappa. A leader must ensure his soldiers stay healthy, otherwise they’re useless to him.”
Nappa’s smirk disappears as fast as it came up. “Right, anyhow. I’m heading back to sleep, see you in a month.”
You nod and dismiss his call. Raditz stays up for a little longer. You watch him stare right below the camera recording him.
“What’s with you?” You bark, frustrated.

“Sorry, my prince. I was thinking about presenting a request to you.”

“A lowborn straggler wishes to request something of his prince? Hmph.” You felt that Raditz should learn his place at times, but you were short on loyal manpower after Planet Vegeta’s destruction.

“Excuse me for behaving in such a pretentious manner.” He replies, closing his eyes. “I was thinking that, after this mission, I should go to the planet where my brother was sent off before Planet Vegeta exploded.”

Raditz’ expression shows that he’s waiting for your response. “Wasn’t your brother even weaker than you?”

That stung a little, and it showed, you smirked. “He was.” He responds. “His power level was around 10 as an infant. It was predicted to rise to around 500 if he successfully conquered the planet.”

500 was a puny level. It was the dirt of the fingernails of any elite, but one more man to the team couldn’t hurt. Could it? And if Raditz were to die on the way, it wouldn’t be that big of a loss after all.

“You know this isn’t an official mission, right? If something happens at Earth, lord Freeza will not let us go and help. You’re on your own.” The information you provide does not seem to faze Raditz, who smiles.

“I do, but that planet is full of weaklings, their average power level is 10. If my brother died somehow, I’ll just wipe out the population myself and give it over as compensation to Freeza for my misconduct.”

You shrug, best give him an answer.

“No, you’ll stay with us. Instead, we should all go to Earth together to see if your brother is worthy to join our ranks.”

Raditz seems surprised at your sudden change of heart. “Huh? But Freeza will-“

“We’ll have a whole planet to hand over by the time we’re done anyhow, and may even recruit another warrior to our ranks. He’ll understand.”

“Right. Thank you, my prince.” Raditz’ comm connection shut off right after that. You’d warn Nappa after you were done with this planet. A screen propped up in front of you after another set of key presses. Average power level of about 100, but the god-emperor and his lords were supposedly much stronger than any of those. Hopefully they’d provide a challenge.

You shut your eyes, crossed your arms, and smiled to yourself. The thought of frustrating Freeza even a little was a pleasing one. Even if he did grow as wrathful as to decree you as traitors, your group will just flee into exile somewhere. It’ll work out in the end.

As you drifted back into hibernation mode, you dreamed of your childhood. The times when you received the news of planet Vegeta’s destruction were a reoccurring dream lately. By then, you were no longer deserving of the title of King, you didn’t have a people to rule over any longer. Instead, you remained the Prince of all Saiyans.

But one day… You would be King.

The weeks passed uneventfully. As you reached Rekar, you saw the strange purple-grey surface from above with a hint of disgust. It looked like it reeked, and its population surely reeked as much as its world. You opened comms with Raditz and Nappa and made sure they were still around and well, both responses were affirmative.

“We’ll land in order to have the population in scouter range, find the bigger threats, wipe them out, then destroy the rest.” You rehearsed the usual tropes for population wipe.

Nappa seemed talkative. “I heard their God-Emperor was a nasty monster. How powerful do you two think he is?”

Raditz shrugged. “Their average power level is 100, so I’ll say he’s ten times stronger, up to 1.000.”

You snickered. “Well, if he’s an undefeated god-emperor, I’d wager his powerful lords are at that 1.000, and he’s at 10.000.”

Trickles of sweat emanated from your two companions’ foreheads. “You think so?” Raditz asked.

“Calm down, it’s a wager. Hahaha!” You let your laugh echo in the comms, then continued: “Initiating landing.”

The three attack pods broke into the atmosphere of Rekar, fire engulfing their immediate surroundings. You watched as the ships crashed in the midst of a jungle, there was a thrill to watching a landing at this speed. It felt like you’d die at any point, even if the pods were secure.

All three opened at the same time, you put your hand to the exit and felt the pressure of the planet’s gravity. It wasn’t as strong as Vegeta’s, that’s for sure. You stretched and jumped around to get a proper feel to it, as did your comrades. Your scouter detected a few power levels of about 100 in your immediate surroundings.

“Nappa, blow this jungle to smithereens, I don’t want a surprise attack coming our way.” You said as you stretched your legs.

“Yessir.” He replied. He then engaged his fighting stance and charged up his power with a slow, elongated shout, after that, he lifted two fingers up with a smirk. The entire area descended into hellfire. Raw, brute strength left an area of kilometres around you decimated, only a crater of earth remained. “No one will bother us now.” Nappa quipped.

“Just make sure not to blow up deposits.” You replied to that.

Raditz initiated his scouter on long-range mode. “Multiple 1.000 readings.” His voice began to stutter. “A-and…”

10.000, say it, Raditz. 10.000! A planet that would finally prove to be a challenge.

“Ten… thousand.” He was barely able to speak. Nappa looked at him, then at you.

“Vegeta…” He said. “10.000, that’s unthinkable for a non-saiyan!” He said, nerves apparent in his tone.

“Unthinkable? Have you forgotten about Dodoria and Zarbon? About the Ginyu Force?” You smiled and threw a few punches in the air. “It’s time I showed you two why I am considered a Super-Elite. Heh.”

Nappa and Raditz looked at each other, concerned. Raditz was first to speak. “So what’s the plan? The God-Emperor is on his own at the north pole of this planet, and the 1.000 readings are all separate, probably governing their own sections of the land.”

You sat on some debris created by Nappa’s blast and pondered.

>Charge head on to the 10.000, all three of us.
>I take care of the 10.000, both of you head out together and kill the 1.000s one by one.

“We’ll charge head on to the 10.000 and break him, all three of us.”

Raditz and Nappa nod, the latter speaks: “We can take care of the small fry afterwards.”, the former takes a hand to his own chin, thinking. “The Emperor could also have some sort of bodyguard, we can destroy them while prince Vegeta wipes the floor with their ‘god’.”

You smile, if anything, these two were loyal to the core to you. You only have each other after all, though you could very well handle things on your own.

The three of you blast off to the sky after closing your pods with your remotes. You just now notice the horrid smell as you leave Nappa’s crater. The seas stink and boil, jungles cover much of the world, and at times you can see great buildings rising out of the ground, most are made of stone.

Only a few hours pass and you reach the north pole, which is only a little less verdant than the rest of the planet, but you notice the great tended fields with irrigation below and at the very pole, a grandiose city with walls with a huge, intricate palace at the center. All three of you have to set a threshold higher than 300 for power level notifications to avoid being overwhelmed by the huge number of residents in the city. Only the God-Emperor’s 10.000 value and a 1.000 value remain, close to each other and inside the palace.

“I think the big guy’s in there.” Nappa says, his usually playful tone seems tinted with worry. Raditz only looks forward, sweat still visibly trickling from his face.

>Destroy the city, we’ll draw him out with all he’s got. [Fight Starts]
>Pierce through the palace’s biggest room, we’ll take him out there and then. [Fight Starts]

The god-emperor's got potential. Maybe we could get some extra leeway from Frieza later down the line (IE after visiting earth) if we can somehow recruit this guy.
And if he refuses, we just kill him, easy as that.

“We’re going to land at the palace doors. I’ve got an idea.” You tell your comrades. They nod and stay behind you as you land right in front of you. Finally, you get a good look at the humanoid bugs. The guards at the palace gates approach you warily, their tongue is full of chittering, you activate your Scouter translator in order to communicate with them.
They are first to speak. “Wh-who are you? Aliens?”

“So we are, we’re here to speak with your god-emperor.”

They seem offended. “How dare you?! God-Emperor Chitin speaks only with whom he pleases, not whom requests it!”

Raditz and Nappa step forward, you repeat your demand. “We will speak with him, with or without your permission.”

The sound of their wings flapping rapidly, likely a sign of fear, is disgruntling. “W-we can’t take you, he would kill us!”

“Would you rather assuredly die now?” You ask.

The bug guards look at each other, then they command the door to be open. You’re led through extensive pathways that overlook flowery water gardens and eventually reached a grand palace, not the biggest one in the complex, but still gigantic. Again the five of you walk and walk, eventually reaching a throne room, where another bug warrior, much taller than the ones you met, watches you. Your scouter detects his power, 1.000.

“What is the meaning of this?!” He yells. “God-Emperor Chitin is furious at the sound of footsteps in his Palace of Calm! You best have a good reason to be here.”

“We’re here to meet your God-Emperor, not rabble.” You respond. “Out of the way.”

The frustrated lord dashes towards you, but is stopped halfway by Raditz. The two begin dishing out blows to each other. A curious spectacle, as the bugs seem to have a way of fighting that includes the use of their wings and short bursts of flight, but Raditz keeps up with him and locks his hands with the bug’s.

Nappa and you smile at the tough fight Raditz got himself in, it’s quite the sight, but eventually the lord starts getting overwhelmed and retreats back into his master’s throne room. “Chitin will punish you for this!” He yells as he runs.

The two guards who accompanied you seem scared to the bone, their lord having been forced to retreat by one of your subordinates seems to be proof of your power.

You all enter the throne room lit by great torches in the columns within and walk until you spot Chitin himself, who sits on his throne, seemingly furious at his vassal. The spike to 10.000 when you look at him makes you feel a great thrill, a hunger to fight. The Saiyans’ primal desire.

“You let them into my throne room, Weng! Unforgivable!” He raises his hands. “I will punish you, forfeit your life!”

Lord Weng seems terrified, trying to run back whence he came, but the antennae of the God-Emperor begin buzzing and eventually emit a lightning quick ray which electrocutes Weng to death in front of you.

You step over his corpse along with the rest of your comrades. The Throne Room seems empty but for you three and Chitin himself.

“God-Emperor Chitin. We’re here to negotiate with you.” You say.

“Negotiating? You should be kowtowing and begging for mercy! I will punish you for your insolence! Awaken, my children!”

Children? Raditz and Nappa see what he means, to the sides of the room, in its deepest darkness, four pods show a green light emanating from within in. Each of them contains a power level of 2.000. The scaled humanoid beasts slowly burst out of the membrane they were held in, and they seem hungry and angry.

You keep your arms crossed, but Raditz and Nappa assume battle stances.
Raditz, nervous, looks at you. “What do we do, my prince?”

“We’ll kill these things then negotiate with Chitin.” With the orders given, both Nappa and Raditz head out to fight their own Saurian, while you take on two which slowly approach you, preparing to lounge. You keep your arms crossed, waiting for their attack.

The first comes in, it’s maw open wide, you grab its mouth and open it even wider, unhinging its lower jaw. The Saurian lets out a horrible yell of pain as it dangles below his mouth. The other beast instead throws a tail swipe towards your torso, you stop its tail, taking the brunt of its hit, and wrap your arm around it. The beast can no longer move and you blast its head off with a simple power wave, then let its limp body fall to the ground. The other creature runs off but is wiped out by Chitin’s lightning ray before it can leave the room.

As Chitin gets up from his throne, you check on your comrades. Raditz is giving his foe a beating and eventually blasts its head off with his double power wave, while Nappa struggles to fight off the tail wrapped around him.

“Use your damn mouth, Nappa. It’s not that hard.” You spout at the ‘elite’ saiyan.

Nappa smiles. “Good thinkin’ Vegeta.” He opens his mouth and a powerful wave storms out and destroys the top of the Saurian’s body, piercing through the wall and letting some light in from Rekar’s star.

The three of you dust off, Raditz and Nappa stand, arms crossed, right behind you. You look at Chitin devilishly.

“You are not from this world. Those beasts were dreaded saurians from the deepest jungles of Rekar, modified with my magics to grow even more powerful.” The god-emperor says. His voice is stern and low, no longer squeaking as it did when he yelled.

“Are you open for negotiations now?” You ask.

“Speak.” He replies.

“Simple enough, someone even more powerful than me sent me here to wipe this miserable planet’s population. But you’re stronger than the average Rekarian, you could very well be an elite warrior in my master’s ranks.”

“Wipe the population, my people, why?”

“There are mineral deposits here, our master wants them, and they don’t want any locals interfering with the planet’s value.”

“You want me to let go of my people, my honor, and my empire to serve someone else… How dare you?!” Chitin’s voice begins to boom, his antennae twitching in frustration.

“They’ll die anyway, you’ll be able to live through it. If you serve my master well, he may give you another planet down the line.” Your last sentence made his antennae fiddle just a little less.

“Why you… You underestimate me, Chitin, God-Emperor of Rekar! I am many times more powerful than any of the foes you faced so far!” You see him beginning to charge his ki through antennae twitches and rapid wing flaps. “The very air that travels through my lands will give me the strength to kill all of you! Prepare yourself, fool!” He yells.

You click your Scouter for an update on his power level. It’s grown to 11.000 as he charged up. Might be some sort of transformation? No matter.

You assume your battle stance. It’s time for a good fight.

“Vegeta, what do we do?”

You feel your Saiyan rage hyping you up. “Stay out of this.” You spout. “He’s mine.”

Alright, here's my proposed gameplan.
He's a bugman, and he uses those antennae for that strong lightning-attack. Chances are he might be unable to fly without his wings, too.
So Vegeta rushes in, fakes a direct assault with an afterimage and instead tries to get behind the bug. Do a chop to try to sever the antennae with one hand (unless vegeta has tail slicer at this point, not sure if he does or not), and energy blast his back (and thus wings) with the other hand.
Assuming that goes well, we might have disabled or hindered his most annoying biology-based attacks, leaving a much more straightforward fight ahead of us.
>>
>>3704334
>tail slicer
He does have it. I've been rereading saiyan saga, currently am at freeza saga. So far I've found these powers for him:
Galick Gun
Fake Moon
Energy Blast Volley
Two-Finger Explosions (I'm not sure how this one is supposed to work. He sometimes makes people explode after aiming at them with his two fingers. Probably fiddles with the Ki inside that person when it's out of balance? Not sure.)
Tail Slicer (Discount destructo disc)
Explosive Wave

In Oozaru form he also has his Mouth Blast.

If you guys know another, post it and I'll add it. He has all the moves he got from the Saiyan Saga at the very least.
>>
>>3704344
>Probably fiddles with the Ki inside that person when it's out of balance?
I don't think you can just... do that.
Maybe he's just pouring lots of Ki into them to blow them up?
>>
>>3704352
It could be, considering Nappa uses the same technique and causes explosions around him. It's like an invisible Ki attack.
>>
>>3704356
It wouldn't be the first one, desu. There's that invisible eye-based thing that Shin uses, so it's probably just another invisible attack like it.
I imagine it doesn't get much use in higher-tier fights simply because it's too easy to shrug off unless the target is a weakling or really off-guard.
Or toriyama forgot

Nevermind that, it was quicker than I thought.

Chitin assumes a stance similar to the late Weng’s. It seems he’s also adept at fighting while using his wings.

You eye each other up, waiting for the first move. Chitin speaks. “You will feel the strength of Chitin and Rekar in each of my blows!”

He storms upwards at a lightning speed, aided by his wings but also, you felt it, by something else. Lord Weng wasn’t even close to being this fast. You tighten up your stance.

As Chitin hovers over you, you decide to give him a bit of a surprise of your own. You put your open hand up and make your ki flow into a tornado until a disc is formed. The surprised Chitin stands still for a split second, but after you throw, he moves away fast and punches you square across the face. You take a few steps back with your hand on your hurting cheek.

“Tch.” You spit to the ground, a bit of blood is mixed with your saliva.

“V-Vegeta!” Nappa says. He takes up a fighting pose. Raditz imitates Nappa, though doubtful.

“Stay still, fool.” You yell as you prepare to reengage. “I said he’s mine.”

“You are strong, few can take on my Stinger Punch without, at the very least, an obliterated jaw.” Chitin brags as he continues to hover over you. You notice an odd light shining in his belly.

“By the time I’m done with you, there won’t even be dust left.” You say, feeling rage inside you.

Ready for the next bout!

The light in Chitin’s belly seems to be getting bigger by the second. You realize as you think of using your Galick Gun… He’s thinking the very same thing. He’s going to do an energy blast of some sort. You smirk and dash backwards, putting your hands in position.

“Nappa, Raditz, out of my way!” You yell, your subordinates nod, understanding the situation at hand, and flee through the hole Nappa created earlier against the Saurians.

“You want to play that game, then? I’ll show you how a true Saiyan wipes the floor with his foes!”

“Hah! No one has been able to withstand my Rekar Beam! I’ll show you what happens to fools who defy me!”

You both begin to yell. Yelling always helped when flowing so much ki through your limbs to your hands, and, in his case, to his belly. Purple ki flows around you and drifts to your hand, meanwhile, you see Chitin’s green ki flow to his own belly.

“Galick…!”

“Rekar...!”

“Gun!” You yell, throwing your hands forward and releasing the pent up energy in one condensed beam.

“Beam!” Chitin yells, his belly opening up to release his green ki in a similar beam.

Your beams clash in an unimaginable show of lights. Nappa and Raditz watch, astounded, from outside.

“We could never hope to reach prince Vegeta’s level.” Raditz says, terrified.

“Heh, there’s a reason he’s a prince.” Nappa replies, smiling at the display.

“AAAAAH!” You yell out harder as you attempt to pierce through Chitin’s beam, focusing more and more ki into your Galick Gun.

“Wh-what?” Chitin yells. “How are you throwing more energy into your beam while it’s firing?!”

You smirk. “I am a Super Elite! Power flows through me as smooth as silk!”

“N-No! It can’t be!” The purple ray starts to to overtake Chitin’s. “I can’t dodge! No! I am the God-Emperor! I can’t-“ Chitin is interrupted by his beam collapsing and the Galick Gun flowing right through him in a direct impact.

You drop the Galick Gun stance and take a few deep breaths. Chitin is down on the floor, barely alive, coughing out green blood, his body is badly burnt.

Nappa lands close by you, Raditz follows suit. “So, that’s all the God-Emperor of Rekar amounted to, huh?” Nappa says.

“Heh. No one can withstand my Galick Gun.” You say, still breathing hard.

“You really went all out on him, prince Vegeta.” Raditz says, watching Chitin.

“He asked for it after that punch.”

Chitin speaks through gurgles. “M-My empire…”

You laugh. “Hahaha! Your empire is no more, I’ll make sure that happens.”

Chitin chuckles, though it sends pain down his body. “Foolish… Prince…”

“You’re one to talk, a prince beat an emperor.” Raditz says.

The emperor of Rekar coughs a few more times. “I’ll die anyhow, so… At least I’ll take you with me!”

“What?” You ask, but the question answers itself soon enough. Chitin begins to transform, his body ripping in a fiery explosion which sends the three of you flying back. The blast didn’t hurt, it seemed more like wind. You take up positions around the Emperor, Chitin’s body is growing, fast as it can, into a giant insectoid, as if it were ripping out of its own shell.

The inhuman scream emanating from it sends a chill down your spine. You activate your scouter… It’s rising, fast! 15.000… 17.000… 19.000… 22.000… 24.000… And the scouter explodes on Raditz’ face. Damn old models, you shut off your own and so does Nappa.
“It… It can’t be!” Raditz says. “He was dying right there!”

“It looks like their own version of Oozaru.” Nappa says, arms crossed. The insectoid beast is starting to rampage through the palace as the three saiyans take up positions far above the sky. “Seems willing to destroy the place, think he finally accepted your proposal, Vegeta?” He quips with his funny tone.

“Tch. He lost his mind and probably won’t ever regain it. Chitin is dead, this is just a monster.” You say.

“The only way to beat him would be our own Oozaru forms.” Nappa says. “If it’s a transformation as strong as ours though, he’ll probably reach a power level of over 100.000.”

“You two would be done in even in Oozaru form.” You reply.

“Not like the fake moon would give us a choice in the matter. If that thing rampages through the planet on its own, it could destroy some valuable deposits.”

You sigh. You couldn’t care less about the damn deposits, but Freeza would be frustrated…

Ah well. It doesn’t feel as good to fight a wild animal, but this is a very powerful wild animal. You put your hand out and start to stream energy towards it, turning it into a ball. The amount of ki needed to deploy this thing is astounding, only super elites like you can do it. The white ball forms around your hand, tied to you by a stream of ki. The three of you watch it, and you already feel the primal impulse beating within.

You throw it upwards to the sky. “Look at it!” You yell before the first loud thumps of your heart ring out in your ears. You lose consciousness as you transform into the Great Ape, then regain it after the transformation is done. You haven’t quite mastered the transformation phase yet, but as a Super Elite, you mastered the final form itself.

Nappa and Raditz are already starting to rampage through the palace, throwing wild punches and kicks, firing mouth beams to maximize destruction. This, in turn, gathers the attention of Chitin’s spawn. When they see each other, they do not doubt, they begin charging forward in order to clash.

You yell out in primal desire for battle and blood, and charge along with your fellow apes towards Chitin. A battle of titans is about to unfold in Rekar’s capital.

We're starting up earlier than expected.

---

The terrified populace of the capital of planet Rekar watch as four hulking beasts ravage and destroy the palace of their God-Emperor. One of them, they see, is a transformed Rekarian, and many fear the worst. The Judgment Times are upon them, God-Emperor Chitin is displeased and he sacrificed himself to bring havoc to the people of his planet.

You could not care less about prophecies right now, even though you control the Oozaru form, you are still held down by primal desires to kill and destroy and you and your comrades’ objective is Chitin. The fake moon above is sending its powerful radiation towards you, only strengthening these desires.

Nappa and Raditz have no chance while on their own, but their Saiyan heritage commands them to fight anyway. An Oozaru never cowers, no matter the odds, they do not understand such concepts.

You will have to think tactically, Nappa and Raditz are rushing towards the beast, probably to pummel it down with hand and feet. You, however, still hold control of your mind and body. What to do…

Nappa and Raditz are mindless, and that beast is much too powerful for them to handle. It wouldn’t do to lose them here, so you best support them before they even reach Chitin. And for that, you have the most powerful move of the Saiyan race…

You lift your arms up and open your mouth wide, the huge amount of ki stored in the Oozaru form drifts towards it and forms a gigantic beam of energy that is swiftly fired towards Chitin. He can barely react to it, gigantic as it is, and with the mind of an animal, he decides to take it head on.

The blast hits him, causing a huge explosion that only temporarily stops your comrades. After the smoke clears, you notice Chitin holding on to a tear in his carapace. Enraged, Chitin punches the headstrong Nappa away from him, but Raditz uses this opportunity to throw his two fists into the carapace’s hole. With a loud screech, Raditz tears it open even further, trying to dig into it. Frustrated, he throws a punch right into it which pierces into the soft insect meat inside. Chitin vomits green blood and is holding on to dear life as Raditz removes his fist.
Impressive, for a low class warrior.

You’ve used up a lot of energy in that mouth blast and the Galick Gun from before, you feel your ki depleting, you won’t be able to fire again this fight.

>Sit and watch, Chitin is in bad shape, Raditz and Nappa can handle it.

With Chitin in so bad a shape, the best course of action right now is to simply end it as swiftly as possible. Though your Mouth Blast is no longer available, you can dispatch this beast with raw physical power alone.

You fly forward as Raditz and Nappa continue trying to fight it, but the pained and enraged Chitin is keeping them at bay one blow at a time. That is, until you come into the equation.

You throw your fist to the beast’s face, then the other, then Nappa and Raditz join in. Again and again, you continue pummeling it. The insectoid yells again and again. Around you, the smell of dust and ashes, the sound of screaming citizens and the sight of the green blood in your hands just drives you more and more to smash and destroy.

But eventually, you notice it, a green light is emanating from Chitin, it reminds you of that Rekar Beam that Chitin used, but its movement is irregular, and it’s growing larger by the second. It’s as if…

Chitin is going to explode.

“Huh?!” Your ape voice booms. If that were true, the explosion could destroy a huge chunk of the planet, not to mention you and your men would be caught in the blast.

How do you fix this? Might be if you kill him before he explodes, you’ll avoid it entirely. You could keep pummeling and hope for the best, or fire a mouth blast, but spending that much energy again would risk your very life.

Or you could go for the safer bet: remove the moon, call the pods, and escape, yet the planet would be useless if the explosion were to happen. Freeza would be pissed, to say the least.

Hah! The Prince of all Saiyans fears no explosion from such a puny beast. In fact, you will teach it to remain dead! Again, you summon up the ki into your mouth to fire it at Chitin but, in a last desperate move, he takes a hand to your gaping maw and shuts it, you were barely able to retain the ki and avoid your very head exploding. Nappa and Raditz are still doing their best to destroy Chitin’s body, but it’s useless, their kicks and punches are not reaching into the weak point created beforehand.

‘No! I am the Prince, the Prince of all Saiyans! In a puny planet like this… NOOO!’

It even feels like the Chitin spawn is laughing at what’s happening. Could it be… Chitin’s still inside?! That bastard… You’ll kill him! Again and again! If you go to hell, you’ll pummel him! Again and again and again! There will be no rest, there will be no-

The green light inside Chitin’s body grows ever brighter, all you can do is sweat and try to scream, but it’s useless. The explosion engulfs you and your comrades first, you see nothing but the huge blast of light green light covering all of your senses. Your ears ring and your eyes are blinded, all you can touch is the terrifying fire that brings death all around itself… And everything goes dark.

So it is.

You awake, you feel every part of your body hurt and sting… Hurt and sting! You’re alive! You laugh as loud as you can, even though each laugh seems to press your broken ribs into your lungs. You’re able to open your eyes amidst the blood and dirt. The sky is full of cataclysmic storms thundering across the jungles of Rekar, you spot gigantic tornados in the distance, probably destroying all across their path. The ground is shaking, and you see tears from where lava itself is pouring.

You check your body to see the superficial damage… Your armor is torn apart, but some shreds from your undershirt and pants still remain. You look for your scouter, it’s in bad shape, but it gives a reading… 1.400 and going down, albeit slowly. You reach for your pod’s remote and find it in bad shape as well, but functional.

After a bit, you’re able to struggle onto your knees and get up, holding on to your side to avoid letting the pain make you fall again. It hurts, everything hurts. The wind’s growing stronger and you see a storm approaching you. Shit. How dare he?! He made you hurt all over… Never before had you felt this much pain, and it’s still numbed by the adrenaline. All done by some disgusting insect!

Your mind rages on as you navigate your scouter’s menu to make a planetwide scan. There are few readings… But you notice some that seem familiar: One’s at 700 and the other at 200, both steadily going down. There are no other readings that high. Probably Nappa and Raditz, respectively, they seem to be relatively close to one another, compared to the large distance between you and them.

This planet’s in bad shape, the explosion probably destroyed its orbit and the oxygen levels are dropping, seems that’s what did the Rekarians in, they needed that concentration of oxygen. Heh, job’s done! Another chuckle makes your ribs touch your lungs, stinging you from the inside.

You call your pod, after a minute it’s already by your side, ready to depart even though it’s full of dust and mud. You crawl and struggle to get inside and open its radar, the other two pods are still at their positions. Your servants are probably either still unconscious or unable to move. Shit, the pod is not made to travel from one point of a planet to another, you’d have to fly towards them to save them… It’s a big risk, considering your current state. But you’d lose your only two allies in the Universe. Freeza sure as hell won’t be in a helping mood when he hears that Rekar is destroyed or if he hears that your warriors are dead, were that to happen.

You sit back on your pod and think. First, Nappa and Raditz: Is it worth risking it to save them?

Gah! Even though everything hurts and this damn planet is exploding, you don’t want to just leave those two to die. Who knows where you’ll end up after this, you need your fellow saiyans to pull through along with you, it’ll make things easier.

You come out of your pod, slowly, and use your energy to blast off into the sky. On the way, you see even more gigantic tornados around you, there’s a primal fear within telling you to call the pod and escape, but you won’t. You are the prince of all saiyans. You see lava on the ground blasting up into the sky as the continents tear themselves apart. The planet’s going to blow eventually, and you won’t stay to watch the fireworks, and neither will your warriors.

Dodging the tornados is hard with your current power, and one of the bigger ones suddenly catches you in its wind. You scream as it flings you around a few times, you can’t control your flight or your body at all. You feel like a little stick or a leaf, being thrown around as if you were nothing.
You feel consciousness fading again. You’ll die, just because you tried to help your comrades. Heh, teaches you right…

The tornado flings you forward as it mixed with another, you try to recover in the air but fail. You can only fly at this vertiginous speed until something stops you. Eventually, you hit your back on a tree and fall, spitting out blood. You get up, slowly. Your back hurts bad and you can’t open your right eye. Your reading is now at 700.

Still, you blast upwards and continue on your way, following the readings. This planet will not take you. It will not! Not you, not your servants, no one will ever take it away from you!

You finally see them in the distance, Nappa and Raditz are close together. Nappa is badly scrapped, as you were when you woke up. Raditz, meanwhile… He’s lost an arm, all the way to his shoulder. Their readings are 500 and 100.

You pick up their remotes and call their pods, which fly down towards your position, you then call yours. Nappa slowly wakes up after a few slaps, and you carry Raditz to his.

Nappa struggles to get up and close in on you, you can barely hear him through the wind and rain pouring everywhere. “Vegeta! Vegeta, what happened?! Your eye- Is Raditz-”

You look at him and he looks at your face, astonished. “What are you standing there for, you babbling buffoon?! We’re leaving this planet, NOW!” You yell.

“Y-Yes!” He hurries to his pod, his left leg limping as he goes. You hurry to yours, still holding to your side.

The hatches close on your pods. There is a sudden silence, you hear a ringing in your ears as they adapt to this newfound peace and quiet, you watch as your body bloodies the pod. It might’ve been uncomfortable before, but now the feeling of its rough seat is a godsend. You open comms with Nappa and Raditz. The latter is still unconscious. “Where are we going? We need healing! Freeza’s gonna be pissed!” Nappa asks.

As far as we know, Earth probably doesn't either. I think this is going to be a case more of finding somewhere to rest up and let Saiyan healing work than to go to find a decent hospital.

>To Kakarot’s planet.
>>
You activate your pod’s medical emergency system, which will put on a medical ventilator and fill your pod with healing liquid after you depart. Raditz is already surrounded by it, with his ventilator attached. Nappa also activates it, though the ventilator barely fits him.

“We’re going to Kakarot’s planet.” You say. “If he’s killed everyone on the planet, good. If not and he’s dead, we lay low and heal our wounds with the attack pods and whatever technology they have there. Their power level is not a risk for us, even with these wounds.” You look at Raditz. “Well, maybe the low class here won’t be able to handle it.

“Right.” Nappa closes his eyes. “Sounds good to me. What about Freeza?”

“He’ll think we’re dead, we don’t have much of an option.” You ponder while you accommodate yourself in your pod. “If he does find us, we’ll just tell him we blasted away without thinking.”

The pods levitate off the ground as the directions are set. You set up Raditz’ pod remotely from your own, then the three of you blast off into space. The pods say that one year will pass between your departure and your arrival. No point in staying and watching Rekar blow, it would just sting your pride. This was no failure, but a new beginning.

You open your eyes while in the liquid, and notice your right eye still sees nothing. You open comms with Nappa, who’s nervously tapping his foot on the floor of his pod. “What is it, Vegeta?” He asks.

“My eye. What’s wrong with it?” You ask.

“Uh…” He seems to doubt. You hate when he does that, the fool.

“Out with it!” You yell.

“It’s… It’s white in the outside.”

“What?!” Shit. Shit! That means your optic nerve was severed, probably the hit on that tree broke it. You spit to the ground.

“Then I’m blind on that eye, for good.” You say.

Nappa stays silent, he swallows nervously. “Maybe the doctors of Earth can fix it.”

“Maybe. See you in a month.” You close comms and shut your eyes, initiating hibernation mode for the month. Again, you see dreams of you with your father, watching over planet Vegeta. Those days are so far gone now, they're barely in your memories and live only in dreams.

A long journey is ahead of you.

Chapter 1: The Battle at Rekar - END

---

As always, thanks for playing everyone, I was not expecting this turn of events, but I think it'll make for an interesting story.

The second chapter should begin one of these days. Here's my twitter where I'll warn at least 12 hours beforehand: https://twitter.com/Qm1King

At the very earliest, it'll begin tomorrow, at the very latest, this sunday.

I'll stick around in case anyone wants to talk. I'll also write up an epilogue like GDQM does meanwhile.
>>
>>3708982
I don't have Twitter so won't follow you, but looking forward to next thread! Good writing and I'm enjoying blowing canon to bits.

After a year healing in the pod, what kind of power increase can we expect on our arrival?

Epilogue:

It’s been years since Goku defeated Piccolo. His son Gohan has grown into an infant with dreadful power but a peaceful nature. During a logging expedition, he hears the voice of Kami in his mind.

‘Goku, I have grave news. You must come to my home.’

Goku, surprised and curious, leaves the log he was carrying on the ground and blast off towards the lookout. There, he sees Kami and Mr. Popo, fine as always.

“Hey Kami, hey Popo! How are you guys? It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”

“It’s good to see you, Goku.” Kami responds, Popo offers a simple nod. “I’m afraid this isn’t a visit of courtesy, I have received a message from King Kai himself.”

“Who?” Goku asks, confused. “Is Piccolo preparing something?”

“No, not Piccolo.” Kami says. “King Kai is like a guardian of this part of the universe. He’s just told us that some powerful explosion occurred somewhere in the universe, and the perpetrators are heading to Earth.”

“Huh? That’s a lot to take in, Kami. Aliens?”

Kami closes his eyes and nods. “Yes, aliens. When King Kai felt the disturbance at that planet, he checked to see what was happening over there. He said some non-native warriors had survived, just barely, and were blasting off in spacecraft towards Earth. We do not know why Earth specifically, there are many more planets between here and there that they could land in.” Kami pauses for a bit, holding on to his staff.

“King Kai suspects they are the ones who caused the explosion and the death of many people in that planet. They are dangerous, Goku.”

“But they’re wounded, right?” Goku says. “They sound strong, but right now they probably aren’t that strong. When they reach us, we’ll make sure they don’t hurt anyone.”

“Even in the deplorable state they’re in they could take on both you and Piccolo and likely win. You can’t underestimate them!”

“Really?” Goku looks to the ground and clenches his fist, then smiles. “Looks like I’m gonna have to train, and so will my friends.”

“We’ll do what we can to help, Goku. King Kai also wishes you the best of luck.”

“Well thanks, Kami! I’m gonna go gather everyone at Kame House, we’ll be here in a week!”

Goku blasts off into the distance and hops into his cloud, heading off.

Popo stands by Kami, who watches his friend leave as fast as he arrived.

“Will you ask Piccolo too?” Popo asks in his neutral tone.

“I don’t think I have a choice.” Kami closes his eyes, and prepares to speak with his evil side.

Look at that the timeline is desperately trying to keep itself in one piece.
>>
>>3708995
Thanks! Sadly, the pods only keep your vitals stable, they won't be able to heal you as a healing machine from Freeza's ships would. There will be a power increase after you heal up though, you'll see it. This goes for all three saiyans.

>>3709003
Yup. This really stung Vegeta's pride. He's been outplayed to the very end by Chitin and nearly died because of that. His broken eye will be a reminder of his failure for a good while.

>>3709032
Technically Chitin is dead, so yay?

>>3709064
Well, I think it makes sense for King Kai to check out wtf that explosion was. It's not every day you feel a planet explode in your part of the galaxy. Sadly for Goku, he won't have access to King Kai's training unless he dies, but many more things can happen.

I'll only warn this once though, your stay at Earth will not be a walk in the park.
>>
>>3709064
I can't remember what the title was, but I read a time-travel novel once where a character said that history was elastic. You can try to change the past, and you can certainly alter details, but the harder you push on the timeline, the bigger the backlash will be to keep things returning to normal.
Looks like we've got something like that going on here.

Chapter 2 Prologue (Vegeta):

The Saiyan pods were travelling fast as they could through space, you woke. The first monthly check-up was on. Radar check, your allies are fine. Then comms check, Raditz was still passed out and Nappa was awake.

“Nappa reporting, all good over here, these healing juices are keeping me alive.” You see Nappa look to his right. “Seems Raditz is also alright.”

“Good.” You reply. “We still have 11 months to reach Earth. Our pods should keep us alive until then.”
You checked your scouter, your reading was at a stable 1.000, Nappa’s was at 500, and Raditz’ was at 200.

Nappa smiles. “Seems like they do have some healing effect.”

“Just barely. We won’t be fully healed by the time we reach Earth, and considering the rate we’re in; I’ll be at around 3.000, you at 1.500, and Raditz may reach 700.”

“So? The earthlings supposedly don’t go above 100 at all, their average level is 10.” Nappa raises his fist. “We’ll squash a few of them, and threaten the rest with the same fate if they don’t help us heal.”
You cross your arms. “That is, if Kakarot failed.”

“Hmph.” Nappa shuts his eyes and chuckles. “Raditz told me Kakarot’s power level was 2 when he was a baby. He totally could’ve failed.”

“2? That is extremely low, even for a low class warrior.” You say, somewhat astonished.
“Yup, and he was the son of Bardock too! That guy was going to be soon, before planet Vegeta was hit by the meteor.”

“A shame, I’d rather have Raditz’ father than him.”

“Yeah, he wouldn’t have lost his arm in the blast, that’s for sure.” Nappa shakes his head in disappointment. “How did we survive that though? I thought I was already in hell when I woke up, but the pain told me otherwise.”

You ponder for a bit, but the response is clear as day. “We were still Oozaru and wearing our armor when the blast occurred, that allowed us to resist most of the damage. I imagine we had already been flung far enough when the fake moon dissipated and we turned into regular Saiyans again. So we avoided being hit by the rest of the blast.”

“Right.” Nappa nods as he listens to your explanation. “Makes sense to me.”

There is a short silence. You are ready to call off the comms to continue your hibernation, but Nappa opens his mouth one last time.

“Thanks for saving us, Vegeta.” He says.

“Sure.” You reply. It doesn’t take long for you to nod off after shutting comms.

Chapter 2 Prologue (Goku):
Sensing the impending doom arriving towards Earth, Kami has hastened the training with the Z Fighters, hoping to bring them up to shape before the Aliens’ arrival.

Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu and even Goku’s son Gohan have been hard at work to learn the techniques of Kame school and whatever Kami could teach them. Even Piccolo participated in the training by meditating along with Kami and sparring with the Fighters. He seems to have taken a liking to Gohan, who turned into an Oozaru and nearly trashed the entire Lookout on his own, thankfully, Piccolo was swift of mind and destroyed the Earth’s moon. After that, Piccolo was willing to teach Gohan some Demon knowledge.

Kami, though unwilling at first, allowed Goku and Piccolo into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. They were the only two who could take the ten times gravity within and successfully train, the rest would not reach such a high level any time soon. Even though Goku and Piccolo were able to resist at first, they were only able to spend a few ‘months’ in the chamber as the gravity's pressure was starting to damage their bodies, a damage that, Kami said, could very well be irreversible if they were not careful.

The final days of training loom, and they are all wary as they look to space. Soon, the greatest fight of their lives would come swooping down to Earth, or so they thought…

It's time to get addicted to Earth media and become a shut-in.
>>
>>3711033
I mean technically, we met them, fought, he lost and got petty, so he blew up his own planet, killing all of his people. We tried to stop him, but got caught in the blast.
>>
So are we going to fight to assert dominance or what?
>>
>>3711341
Considering our power level will be 3000, and Goku’s was canonically about 5-8000 around this time, unless we decide to be a dumbass and throw up another fake moon, it’s probably better not to.
>>
>>3711360
We’re going to earth at around the time when raditz would have arrived
Goku will not be as strong by a longshot, he wont have trained with king kai or had his (potentia) zenkai from dying
>>
>>3711360
Remember the timeline is different Goku never died so he never received training from King kai. meaning in this new timeline

>>3711369
you took the words out of my mouth
>>
>>3711369
>>3711376
Good point, let’s make sure to check power levels first before we do anything too big, though.
>>
>>3711380
I don't actually know if we have Scouters any more I think the pods are giving us power level readings.
>>
>>3711033
Dire times for the Saiyans huh

>>3711360
As >>3711369 says Goku has not received the Zenkai from his death VS Raditz, though the time in the hyperbolic chamber compensated for that as it had 10G of gravity in there.

The Z Fighters got an average power-up of 1.500 during the Kami lookout training (in canon), which would give Goku and Piccolo a PL of about 2.000, but they didn't enter the Time Chamber, which Piccolo and Goku did for "months" in this timeline. Goku and Piccolo have developed a healthy rivalry as they trained together, replacing the old hatred they had for one another.

The bigger issue with no training with Kaio-sama or King Kai or whichever name you prefer, is that Goku did not receive the Kaioken or the Genkidama.

>>3711384
In order to make things easier, there were replacement scouters in the pods.
>>
>>3711416
>not receive the Kaioken
Fuck that is going to have long term consequences.
>>
>>3711451
Yup, I was wondering if I should kill Goku at some point in the year just to give him those power-ups, but I decided against it because there were no realistic scenarios where Goku would die.
>>
>>3711416
Honestly, there's just one thing I want from this quest: Vegeta must become the first Super Saiyan.
Anons, what are your thoughts on this goal?
>>
>>3711466
It's not an unrealistic goal.
>>
>>3711466
I mean, it's already Vegeta's in canon goal to become super saiyan and kill Freiza. The question is if we'll actually be able to.
>>
>>3711466
honestly, I want Vegeta to be the one the kills Freeza.
>>
>>3711466
I don’t care as long as we stay alive and bitch at everyone like the obnoxious, tiny Napoleon that we are.
>>

we need to decide now if we want to go the Bulma route. I for one am in favor of doing so.

You awake again inside your pod. Earth is a few hours away. You open comms with Nappa and Raditz, the latter is still unconscious, Nappa is watching straight forward, through the pod’s window and towards Earth, you do the same.

“So that’s where Kakarot was sent, huh?” He says, then smiles. “I don’t see too many craters. I think he failed. Heh.”

“If it’s true that his power level was expected to rise to 500, he wouldn’t be able to create craters visible from space.” You inform Nappa.

“Still.” Nappa crosses his arms and ponders. “Raditz is still out of it, and we have the power levels you predicted. 3.000 and 1.500, think we can take the population on? I heard they got some advanced weapon technology down there.”

How would you know? It wouldn’t be the first time that technology wins against power levels. You don’t even have armor, or your full power level. Or anything, really, you have only your still half-broken bodies. “We’ll know soon enough.”

Goku and Gohan were sparring, Piccolo was meditating, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu were also training together atop the Lookout.

Then it shot up to them. New high kis were entering the atmosphere of Earth, they all stopped their sparring.

Kami walked out of his palace, cane in hand. “It’s time.” He said. “Go, find them, and stop them.”

Goku and Piccolo smiled and stormed off first. The rest, though doubtful and afraid, left as well.

Your pods crashed in a dry mesa. This planet seemed to have quite a few climates. The pods drained themselves of liquid and you and Nappa removed your medical respirators, opening the hatch of your pod. The both of you were still wearing your torn clothes and no armor. You put your hand to the side of the entrance and propped yourself up and out. Both you and Nappa visibly feel the sting of pain that used to be subsided by the pod’s emergency medical mode. You clutch your side and your back hurts with every chest, Nappa clutches his chest.

For a second, you’re tempted to check on your eye, but you realize it’s no use, it’ll stay gone. You activate your scouter as does Nappa.

“Huh?” Nappa says. “V-Vegeta… Are you seeing that?”

What the hell? You’re completely dumbfounded at the sight and the beeping of your scouter. A 5.000 reading, one 4.500, two 2.000s, one 1.500, two around 500. Curses! If only you and your men were healthy… There is no way you can reliably win this fight, unless… Shit! You left off so suddenly from Rekar that you forgot to set the time of arrival to a full moon!

Wait… Where is the moon?

Your mental gymnastics are stopped as you see two warriors stop right by your side, those two are the strongest in this planet. Nappa assumes a fighting stance, and you close your fists in preparation. Huh? Is that… A Namekian? And the other looks like a human, he has no tail, so it can’t be Kakarot.

The human is first to speak. “Who are you, and what do you want from us?”

“Vegeta… Is that a Namekian? Why is he here?” Nappa asks, confused.

“A what?” The Namekian says. “I am the Demon Prince Piccolo, watch your tongue, weakling.”

“Weakling?! How dare you…” A vein in Nappa’s head shoots up as his face reddens in anger. “I could destroy you with a flick of my fingers!”

“Pipe it down, Nappa.” You yell. He couldn’t, even at full power, he probably couldn’t defeat these fools. You grit your teeth in anger. If only you were healed up.

The rest of the power levels you had read are going to arrive soon.

The human steps up again. “Enough, Piccolo! They’re wounded, they need help.” The human now looks at you. “You look like the boss. Vegeta, right? I’m Goku. If you promise not to hurt anyone, we’ll take you to a friend of ours who can help you with your wounds.”

The Namekian watches Goku, enraged. “What are you saying? These three are evil as can be, if you tend them a hand, they’ll destroy us after they fully heal.”

Benevolent idiots. Might be better to take them up on their offer, heal and then destroy them, you and your comrades will conquer this planet quick.

Goku smiles. “Don’t worry, seeing their wounds, it’ll take them a year to recover, at the very least. We’ll have time to train then. Whatever their true power is, we can take it on.”

Tch. This fool is full of himself. A human would never be stronger than a Saiyan, you feel your tail swirl in anger and excitement.

The one called Goku watches it with awe. “Hey! Where did you get that?! I had one as a kid too!”
Huh? This Goku is… Kakarot?! “You’re a Saiyan?!” You yell. That power level is higher than Bardock’s… Incredible.

“A s-what? I’m Goku, a human who used to have a tail.” He says. “Still, I’m sure we can talk once you all are resting on a bed. That guy in the third ball seems really out of shape.”

You look at Raditz, who is still unconscious in his pod, then at Nappa, who is waiting for your orders, though still in a battle stance.

“Fine, take us to your healing buildings.” You can’t help but grit your teeth and spit as you say that. Nappa looks at you.
“Vegeta, you’re going to accept help from these runts?!”

A stern stare is enough to make him look down like a distraught puppy. You see him look at your broken eye with a hint of fear.

Kakarot approaches you, scratching the back of his head. “Well! No need to get so rough guys. I mean, you’d lose against us in the state you’re in. And…”

He cracks his knuckles and his neck. “I’d love to spar with you guys, one on one, fair fight.” He says.

So he is a Saiyan… Earthlings wouldn’t behave like that. Oh you will spar, and then, he won’t live to tell the tale.

You watch as the other readings land. Goku holds his hand up in front of them. “No worry guys! They’re hurt, they need help. We’re gonna take them to the hospital.”

Most of them except for the two children step up. The small bald one is first to speak. “What are you talking about?! They’re evil! I can feel it in their ki! Kami said they destroyed a planet!”

“We didn’t actually, a native did.” You retort to that. You watch the man look at you with fear in his eyes. He mentioned your ‘ki’, is he sensing it somehow? Your power level? They have no scouters after all.

“Why should we believe you over our friend, huh?!”

“Tch.” You don’t grace him with a reply. Nappa is readying Raditz to depart.

“Kakarot, you and I have to speak.” You say. He nods.

“I am Goku, Vegeta. Even if I were that Kakarot guy you speak of, I was raised on Earth, and the man who raised me called me Goku, that is my name.”

You look at him with disdain. “Kakarot is your Saiyan name! Your father gave it to you when you were born. He was a low class warrior that was about to become an elite!” You spit out the words with hate.

Goku gestures for you to calm down. “Let’s talk about it in the Capsule Corp hospital, alright?”

The entire band leaves towards this place Goku spoke of. You and your comrades stay behind them, following at all times.
Nappa approaches you. “Vegeta… These guys are tough, but even if it takes us a while to heal, we’ll be able to take them on. Remember our Saiyan heritage.”

“Right.” Every time a Saiyan is beaten, he rises stronger than before.

Nappa looks at you warily. “What’s your plan for the future, exactly? Freeza will not be pleased, he won’t let us return.”

“We’ll gather as many Saiyans as possible. If Kakarot is still alive, surely some more are.” You say.

Nappa nods. “Fine by me.”

After an hour of awkward, silent flight except for a quip or two from Kakarot, you arrive at your destination. The so-called “Capsule Corp”. There, a blonde woman greets you, then takes you to ‘Dr. Brief’. Who stops his work on some strange devices and watches you warily as he cleans his hands of grease.

“Goku, are you sure you can trust these guys?” He says. “Wouldn’t wanna heal the bad guys who’ll slaughter humanity, after all.”
“Yup.” He says, putting a hand to your shoulder, which you swiftly remove. “Hehe. They just need a bit more time! They’re good fighters, we can use more of those!”

“Right.” He replies. “Well, we’ll put them in the rooms up above, one in each.”

A few days pass and your treatments begin. You are put in a hospital bed and fed through a strange machine which pours a liquid into your veins. Brief checked your eye with various machines while the two of you were alone. A part of you wanted to destroy this fool, he reminded you of the Tuffles your father told you tales of.

“Yup, as you said, the nerve is severed. Your eye will stay milky white until the connection is regained, if that is possible. It was something we were looking into here at Earth, but nothing is for sure yet.” He sighs. “Your back is pretty bruised, but your spine is alright. The rest of your body has some burns, but you’re showing an astounding recovery speed. Probably because you are the same as Goku.”

“A Saiyan.” You say. “Not ‘the same as Goku’. A Saiyan.”

“Right right. A saiyan. My wife will bring you a change of clothes later today, yours are busted.”

You close your eyes. Dr Brief gets up and leaves. But his daughter doesn’t.

The woman named Bulma gets up and approaches you. “Hey, you’re kind of ungrateful, you know? My father and Goku are helping you heal, and all you do is bitch and moan. What’s up with that?”

You redden in anger. “Leave me be.” You tell her, a tone as menacing as can be.

“Hmph.” She storms off, bashing the door behind her.

Nappa is next to come in, he’s wearing the same light blue robe that you are, though it barely fits him. He sits by you.

“Raditz is going to wake up soon.” He whispers. “Kakarot’s his brother, and he’s probably going to panic when he does wake up. Think we should be there for that?”

>Yes. We’ll tell Kakarot to come with us as well.
>Yes. But only the two of us.

What's he going to say, that we were going to sacrifice the planet to try and appease Frieza? Please, as if that'd be enough to excuse our loss of our assigned planet, our current condition, AND taking an unsanctioned detour on a planet for a year, especially not when it's on one with more of those filthy Saiyans he'd gone out of his way to exterminate. All we'd have to do is play up how drastically the situation has changed and how unsalvageable it has become, promise our new battle-hungry friend fight with warriors leagues stronger than even us, and we're laughing our way across the galaxy tracking down the last surviving Saiyans with the help of the dragon balls! We convince Goku, and everyone else is a non-issue.

“Yes, we’ll take Kakarot along with us too.”

Nappa nods. “Alright. I’ll go find him, you just go to his room and wait there.”

So you did, getting up, removing that strange strap that feeds you and putting a bandage on the pierced skin. Putting on your hospital robes and walking, slowly, towards the room where Raditz is staying.

There he is, his arm is still gone, heh. Heavily bandaged and strapped onto a medical respirator. Bulma is there, looking at him.

“I’m still astonished by the size of his hair, da-“ she looks at you and yells in fear. “What are you doing here?! You’re supposed to stay in bed!”

“I am a Saiyan, I don’t need to stay in bed. He’s going to wake up soon and we Saiyans will be here to speak with him.” You sit on a white chair close to Raditz.

“We?” Her question is answered on its own when Kakarot and Nappa come through the door.

Kakarot looks at Bulma. “Sorry Bulma, but this is kind of important. I gotta talk with these Saiyan guys on my own.”

She seems mad at being left out, throwing her arms down in anger. “Hmph. You better not join them! If you do, I’ll shoot you in the head again! Done it once, will do it again.”

“Heh…” Goku scratches his head as he watches the weird looks from both you and Nappa.

Raditz finally opens his eyes, he can barely move his right arm. He sees you first, then Nappa, then Kakarot. “Prince… Vegeta… What?”

You see Kakarot swallow. You look at Nappa. “So, you’ve already told him?”

“Yeah.” Nappa responds. “It just came up. It’d be hard to explain.” He scratches his moustache.

“We’re on Earth. The other one here is Kakarot, your brother.” You tell Raditz. You go on to explain everything that’s happened, Kakarot listens intently to your tale, then his eyes light up.

“You saved them, Vegeta! See, I knew you had good in your heart!”

“Keep quiet, Kakarot.” You spout. “Your arm is gone, Raditz, but I was able to bring you alive.”

“Heh…” Raditz slumps his head over to look at his arm. “In a way… It still feels like it’s there. I won’t be able to do my… signature move anymore.”

Nappa smiles. “Thought it’d be harder for you take it on.”

“I don’t need an arm to fight for Vegeta.” Raditz responds. That answer makes you open your eyes wide in surprise. You watch Raditz, who watches you back. “Did I say something wrong?” He asks, his voice still weak.

“No.” You respond, then change the subject. “So, Kakarot, why didn’t you conquer this planet?”

“Conquer? What?” He asks, confused.

“Have you hit your head or something?!” You say, angered.

“I did, when I was a kid. My grandpa told me that made me a better kid.”
You, Nappa, and Raditz watch him dumbfounded. Raditz laughs. “Hahaha! My brother is barely a Saiyan! It seems it wasn’t worth it to come here.”

Goku gets up from his seat. “Not a Saiyan? You mean not a fighter? Heh. I’d like to show you otherwise. I got an offer for you guys.”

The three of you watch this humanized Saiyan, waiting for his offer in silence.

“Right. I know a way to heal you guys fast. It won’t heal an arm or an eye, but it will heal all other wounds, restoring your power!”

Your eyes light up, like a healing machine!

“But only under one condition… I want you to promise never to bother anyone from Earth. If you break that promise, I’ll never forgive you.” His tone seems to grow more somber. “I will find a way to destroy you.” His voice lights up again afterwards. “Oh, and the other condition is that you have to spar and train with me for at least a year!”

Nappa laughs heartily as he hears that. “There’s the Saiyan spirit! Hahaha!” Raditz smiles.

Nappa then looks at you. “So what’ll it be Vegeta? This kid isn’t a normal Saiyan, that’s for sure, he’s lacking in cruelty, but he looks like he can put out a fight.”

I recommend we agree to not bother Earth (unless they bother us first) and just have the one fight after we're healed, before we leave. He won't accept if we totally refuse to fight, but we want to get gone and look for more Saiyans ASAP.

There's no point to conquering the planet anyway, Freeza will probably be on our tracks soon.

>Agreed on both terms.
I say we teach Kakarot a very important lesson about how trusting he is.
It's unbecoming of a saiyan to leave their guard open so much. The sooner we can stomp out his naivety, the better. A true warrior doesn't give people chances to stab them in the back, and Frieza's men certainly wouldn't pass up the chance if they came here. We've gotta get that lesson through his thick skull, even if it means kicking his teeth in much harder than he thought we would.
>>
>>3711745
>>3711771
>>3711758
How about we agree to put off our finally decision after giving him a year of stomping his shit in (along with any of the others that are up for it) and decide based on whether we're impressed with the results? It's probably good enough for a guy who all but lives for a challenge, adds incentive and urgency, gives the non-combatants reason not to get overly familiar while still getting what we want out of them, and it's less cowardly and dishonorable than outright giving in OR lying.
>>
>>3711781
Agreed, changing to this.

Although I suggest we reserve the right to bug out early and run away if Freeza turns up.
>>
I'd like to note that I think Goku is actually wrong about the beans being unable to heal the arm and eye
>The Senzu's healing capabilities have been able to perform such feats as healing Yamcha's impaled torso after an encounter with Dr. Gero and Android 19, and restoring fatally injured characters to perfect health on various occasions. One significant example of the power of Senzu Beans is demonstrated when, after his face-off with Vegeta, Goku spent weeks at Wukong Hospital, but when Goku eats a Senzu Bean given by Yajirobe, he is instantly revitalized in spite of the natural medical assistance only stabilizing his health. Also, Senzu bean apparently can regenerate lost limbs as Future Trunks noted that if they still had Senzu Beans in their timeline, then Future Gohan could have regained his left arm. The Senzu beans were shown to be even capable of instantly regrow missing teeth, as shown with Videl after Spopovich brutally knocked some of her front teeth out, which all grew back instantly after being fed a Senzu by Gohan. However, it appears that the beans can not heal injuries that have already healed over, like scars or the stub of Saiyan tails. It also appears to only heal injuries and not diseases as it could not cure Goku's heart virus.

It stitches up vital organs just fine, and that whole bit about regrowing teeth and future trunks saying it can restore an arm makes me think it doesn't matter if something would naturally be able to come back or not - it'll regrow it anyways

But that's just meta knowledge, admittedly
>>
>>3711784
we could just ask for help in killing Freeza.
>>
>>3711784
>Although I suggest we reserve the right to bug out early and run away if Freeza turns up.
No point actually bringing that up. It pretty much goes without saying and we can deal with it when the time comes.

>>3711790
>I'd like to note that I think Goku is actually wrong about the beans being unable to heal the arm and eye
That's actually a tricky grey area of what they can do. They can't regenerate anything that's already healed over (like, say... due to our pod's healing systems...) but it can totally regrow anything still fresh.
>>
>>3711807
I don't know that it's actually healed over, it totally sounds like it was just bruteforce keeping our vitals stable without actually being able to do more.
And it probably did that with some kind of semi-stasis, really.
>>
>>3711819
Hey, if Mr. KingQM here is willing to throw us that bone, I will happily take it.
>>
>>3711802
I believe Freeza is at about a power level of half a million or so before he even transforms (unless I'm wrong?), we have no reason to think Goku and the other will be of any help.

“Agreed.” This is a golden opportunity. Who cares about Earth anyhow? It’s not a wealthy planet and it has nothing that can aid you on your quest to gather the Saiyans. Instantly healing would allow you to leave as soon as you please Kakarot’s desire to fight, which shouldn’t take the whole year anyhow. You smile deviously and watch Kakarot offer you a hand.

“It’s how we make promises on Earth, take my hand and promise.” He says.

You take his hand and grip it. “I promise. Don’t worry, it’s not like there’s some sort of wish-granting device on Earth anyhow. It’s about the only thing that would make it valuable.”

“What?” He looks at you dumbfounded, then realizes. “Oooh. Of course not, no no. Nothing like that, no siree. Wait for me. I’ll be back with the stuff that’ll heal you.”

He leaves the room, and the three of you sit there, waiting. “Kakarot is a fool.” You whisper. “He’s going to heal us, does he not realize that we’re strong as we are? As soon as we heal, we’ll be way better than him.”

Nappa punches his fists together. “I say we teach a him a lesson in mistrusting strangers.”

Raditz shuffles uncomfortably. “They’re saving our lives though… Shouldn’t we be good between Saiyans? There aren’t that many of us left.”

You and Nappa look at Raditz. Nappa talks first, “So, affected by the sentimentality of your brother?”

“No! I am loyal to Vegeta!” Raditz says as loud as he can, not that that is saying much. “I’m just saying that we’d be better off with having the Earthlings as allies, in case something happened, we could always come back here. They’re beyond the frontiers of Freeza’s Army. How’s my brother’s power?”

You take a bit to respond, even for you, such a power level is astonishing, considering his level of 2 as a child. “5.000.”

Raditz seems surprised. “That high? What’s up with this planet?!”

“Couldn’t tell you.” You respond. “Even though their average power level is 10, you have some humans with around 2.000, it’s two hundred times their average amount.”

“Insane.” Raditz says.

Goku is back after a few minutes with a bag in his hands which he throws towards you. “Here.”

You take it as it flies towards you, it has beans inside.

“What is this?”

“Senzu Beans, eat them.”

You take one to your mouth then hand it over to Nappa. You crunch it and swallow, it does taste like a bean but…

What is this? Your power, it’s coming back, you go to your room, running, pick up your scouter and come back up, you check your power level and your comrades’. It’s…

“I’m… at 20.545!”

Nappa is still looking at his hands, astonished. “What about me?” He asks.

“It’s over 9.000! 9.586!”

“What 9.000?! There’s no way that can be right!”
Raditz is sitting at his bed, looking at his lone arm. “Wh-what about me?!”

“8.117!” You say. “How can this be? This power up is insane!”

“We did survive the explosion of a planet.” Raditz says. “But still, Nappa and I are reaching super-elite tier, and you, prince Vegeta, I’ve never heard of a Saiyan that’s reached 20.000” He says.

He’s right… Could it be… Are you fated to be a Super Saiyan?!

The low gravity of this planet now feels more pronounced, you can jump and punch in the air with a lightness you’d never felt before. You feel the need to fight right now.

Kakarot, meanwhile, is looking at you with a mixture of terror and surprise. “Th-that’s incredible! I never thought you guys were this strong! Come on, let’s go fight, I want test my mettle against you!”

Nappa looks at you, he seems willing to just blast off from here right this instant, but Raditz is looking at his brother in a very un-saiyan way, tenderly.

>Fine, we agreed as fellow Saiyans, let’s go.
>Hah! No, we’re leaving this planet to find more Saiyans!
>You can’t fight me. I’ll duel Nappa while you fight Raditz.

Let's see...
Saiyan Saga vegeta started at 18,000
After his thrashing at the hands of Goku, he ended up at 24,000 next time we get his official power level, in the namek saga.
Then 30,000 when facing Ginyu.
Then, post-recoome, fucking 250,000 suddenly? What the fuck.

Either way, we started out at 16,000 and jumped to 20,000. I'd say we're actually around where we should be, given that much.

“Fine, we agreed as fellow Saiyans, let’s go.” Kakarot offers you his hand to support you while you get up, and you accept the offer.

The wife of Dr Brief, the blonde woman from before, comes into the room. “Oh, I was looking for you boys! Honestly, prattling from one place to the next like that! This isn’t a hotel, you know?”

You wonder if that woman realizes that she is speaking to the four most powerful people in this planet at all.

“Well well. Let me just leave these clothes here. We were able to find something to your size in the store, mister Nappa, but it sure was hard to. Anyhow, have fun!” As quick as she left the clothes, she left the room.

You pick up yours. A white shirt and blue jeans and boots, Kakarot says they are. Nappa has the same, but with a yellow belt, he looks ridiculous with them. Raditz also received the same, but the instead of blue jeans he got brown cargo pants.

“This… is a strange style.” Raditz says.

“We look ridiculous, this is humiliating, Vegeta!”

“Oh, shut it.” You say. “Let’s go, Kakarot.”

“If you want, I can get you some Gi, which is what we call my clothes, they’re more comfortable for fighting.”
“We won’t need them for now, let’s go.”

All four of you storm off, during your travel to a safe place to fight, you’re visited by the Z Fighters, who look at you terrified, the little bald one approaches Kakarot, argues with him, then they all leave. Your scouters tell you they are closely tracking you.

You arrive in the very same mesa you landed in, at a safe distance from the pods. Kakarot looks at you and assumes a fighting stance. “Ready?”

Hm. He seems to be in a hurry to die. “I am, are you?” You taunt.

“Yes!” And he rushes forward.

Kakarot flies towards you at full speed. Is he trying to take you by surprise with this? It’s like he’s going in slow motion. Your power lets you see everything much more clearly, move much faster, fight better. You cross your arms, patiently awaiting his fist.

You dodge the blow by moving your head only slightly, then use afterimage to appear behind him. Kakarot stops, surprised, and instantly looks back. “How do you that?” You ask. “How did you know I was behind you?”

Kakarot smiles, “If you want to know, you better stay on Earth for a while more.”

“Tch.” A flurry of blows comes your way, you dodge or swiftly parry each and every one of them. The last one headed for your gut, you dodge and grab his arm, bringing it to his back and twisting, Kakarot screams. “You’re weak, Kakarot. You can’t request anything from the Prince of all Saiyans.”

He rotates his body and fires a beam towards your chest, again, you use afterimage and reappear on the ground. Kakarot, again, looks at you.

“You can sense my power, somehow. How do you do it? I won’t ask again.” You say.

“If you can beat me with your arms crossed, I’ll tell you!” Kakarot’s voice is taunting. You smile.

“Bah. You are inferior. Low class is low class, the prince is the prince. I am, by definition, more powerful than you.”

Kakarot storms forward and delivers a flurry of punches, which you all dodge without breaking a sweat. You kick his knee’s side, bringing him down to it, then his chest, Kakarot flies away at blistering speeds. “All that you did up until now to reach a power level of 5.000… How much has it taken you? How much training? How much effort? I came out of my growth pod with around 13.000, I grew to 16.000 without any effort. And now I surpassed 20.000 in one fight in that damned planet. Can’t you see the difference? We work in different increments, you and I.”

Kakarot wipes the blood away from his mouth. “That doesn’t matter. I’ll just train and train until I can beat you. That’s all that matters, effort.” He begins charging up. “AAAAH!”

“Hm?” His ki is rising to 6.000... 7.000. Interesting. “You can manipulate your ki like this?”

“If you stay with us for a year, I can show you all we can do here. You can learn a lot with us, trust me.” A white-blue aura surrounds him, again he storms forward, this time firing blasts of ki towards you. You dodge each, then see his afterimage disappear, and hear him behind you, you dodge his two-leg kick with ease, then kick him in the face. He storms to the side and hits a cliff there, destroying it and covering the area with dust.

You storm forward and find him recovering on the ground, you reach him and put your foot on his head. Nappa and Raditz watch, astonished. You start forcing your foot down. “Surrender, Kakarot. I won’t say it again.”

“Not yet!” He throws dust from the ground onto you, you step back, your eyes sting, even the dead one. “How’re you gonna wipe that without your hands huh?”

You feel him hit you repeatedly on the chest and face, it doesn’t hurt much. But as the barrage continues you start to see it… A ki… Something is in front of you, even though your eyes are closed, a silhouette is forming. You sense Nappa, Raditz, and the cowering humans behind their rocks. Even the Namekian watching from up above.

A swift knee is delivered to Kakarot’s gut, then a kick to his side, throwing him away like a dirty rag.

“Heh.” Kakarot chuckles as he struggles to lift himself up from the ground,. “I think you got it. I give up, you’re not fighting to your full power, and I can’t even touch you without dirty tactics. I think my ribs are broken too...”

You use your hands to wipe away the dust. Nappa and Raditz go to your side, ridiculous as they look with their scouters and clothing. “Well, Kakarot. You may be sensible, but you know when to use dirty tactics. Still, you were a fool to let me grow to my full power. Had you not been Kakarot, not everyone is as merciful as me.” You furrow your brow.

“Well, I made a good bet with you guys, didn’t I? So, I know I can’t stop you, will you stay for a year to train with us or will you leave soon?”

“I think we should leave, Vegeta. I get you understood how his power sensing technique works, but that’s probably all we’ll get from this planet, and we got our scouters anyhow.” Nappa says.

“Maybe we should stay.” Raditz’ voice shakes a bit, unwilling to disagree with Nappa. “The humans and Kakarot have developed techniques and training that allowed them to go far above their expectations, we might get to grow in power here.”

Nappa interjects. “I doubt it. We are far above their power levels, their training would do nothing in that regard.”

“They still have techniques.” Raditz says.

Also, is there any way we can borrow a bag of senzu beans and just take turns beating each other nearly to death and healing? Seems like the most efficient way of becoming more powerful.
>>
It strikes me that now would be a great time to make a speech about Kakarot being one of our people. He may have been raised on earth, but it's not too late for him to rejoin the Saiyan fold and accept the name he was born with.
When we were telling him about the past, did we talk about the destruction of Planet Vegeta?

Kakarot says there aren't enough senzu beans to do this reliably. Using three on some genocidal strangers was already a big bet.

>>3712258
Kakarot is not going to join the Saiyans, considering their customs, but he would be willing to go and fight with you every once in a while, if you can convince him. And yes, he knows your home planet was hit by a meteor (you don't know the truth yet).

I suspect we'll stay longer once we realize Goku has a kid and that humans can interbreed with Saiyans anyway, I just didn't see an IC reason we'd immediately agree to stay for a year when we already said we wanted to find more Saiyans.

“We’ll stay a month then we’ll decide if we’ll stay any longer.” Your words seem to make Kakarot happy, as he was expecting the worst already.

“Great! I’ll show you the various training methods we have here on Earth. I’m sure one of them will help you guys grow. Plus, I’m sure you’ll start getting the basics of the Solar Flare real quick, might be we can teach you the Destructo Disc or the Kiai…” Kakarot storms on and on about the various techniques he and his warriors know.

“But I think you’ll feel right at home in one place here on Earth, though I need to ask its owner if he’ll let you in there.” He finally ends his tirade.

“You sure like to speak a lot.” You say, somewhat frustrated.

“It’s the first time we get an alien visitor! And they’re my long lost race accompanied by my long lost brother! What did you expect?”

A planet devoid of humans with a single Saiyan warrior living in it. “I don’t know what I expected.” You prefer not to share your real thoughts.

Kakarot then heads on to talk with Raditz, the two of them start talking about training right away, and the details of the techniques the people here know. The Namekian approaches you. “You called me a Namekian a few days ago.”

“Yes. They’re aliens from planet Namek, look just like you.” You reply. You eye each other up warily, you can sense his ki, it’s around the same value as Kakarot before he powered up.

“I see.” The Namekian then storms off onto the sky. You watch him leave, Nappa approaches you. “Wonder what his story is.”

“Who knows.” You say. After a short silence, you decide to speak to him, “I’m expecting you to learn just as much as me and Raditz will. You are my elite, Nappa.”

Nappa nods. “I respect your decisions, even if I don’t approve of them.”

You nod back. “Good to hear.”

You both watch the hidden humans leave, except for one child that slowly approaches Kakarot and Raditz.

“And this is my son, Gohan.” Kakarot says.

Huh?!

“You have a son?!” Raditz asks. “Like, with a human female?”

“Yeah, that never gave us trouble.” Kakarot replies.

“Hello.” Gohan says.

“Hey.” Raditz hails back.

“Are you my uncle?” the kid asks.

“Well, I guess I am. So what? We Saiyans don’t care about family ties.” Raditz looks away. “Though you have a respectable power level at 500, for a child.”

You and Nappa approach, Gohan stays by his father’s side, wary of both of you.

“The Saiyan blood in him gives him strength.” You say.

“Oh, you haven’t seen him angry. His ki grows really high!” Kakarot says.

“Does it now?” You ask. Does the human-Saiyan mix give some sort of boost to a Saiyan’s potential? The kid is meek, and this one didn’t hit his head. He doesn’t have the Saiyan fire right now, but maybe it comes out exponentially when it does come out. Interesting.

“Where are we going to stay?” Raditz asks you. “Our pods aren’t places to live in. We could camp out in the wilds.”
>>
>>3712373

Kakarot shakes his head. “You shouldn’t! I know Bulma has a lot of space at his house, I’ve got a few spots at my home, and there’s capsule homes too...”

“Who cares?!” You yell. “Just bring us those homes or whatever, we’ll settle near our training grounds.”

Kakarot bows and nods. “Yes sir! Three capsule homes, coming right up.” He takes his kid and the two of them storm off.

“Huh. I wonder if the blonde woman from the doctor’s has a sister.” Nappa says.

You both look at him oddly. “What? She’d be a good mate! Have you seen her?” He retorts.

You sigh.

Thanks for running, this is really cool and has a fuckton of promise. Four beefed up Saiyans and a hybrid facing down Frieza. Five Super Saiyans vs. Cell. The potential goes on, given that we don't let Vegeta's underlings die. Imagine if we found Turles and got him on our side. DBSuper's Broly, too. Hell, even Tarble would do. Let's get the monkeys together.

And yo, Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz still have their tails. SSJ4 are possible down the line.

Unsurprisingly, even Goku would rather keep the Dragon Balls secret from the three genocidal beefed up dudes. Also, wishing back the entire Saiyan race is no longer possible IIRC, there is a time limit of 1 year between a death and the wish, it's been more than a decade since the wipe of the Saiyan race.

Sadly for the Saiyans, it looks like it's a future of mixing with the human race, if they want any at all. Though maybe... somewhere deep in non-Freeza Army territory...

The bigger issue with this is that Saiyans have an innate bloodlust and cruelty built into them, which is not something earthlings appreciate. Sadly for us, this goes beyond the power of Shenlong and Porunga.

it took 15 years of on-and-off redemption arcs, but canon Vegeta, most likely the cruelest prick imaginable, turned into a family man who almost refused godlike powers and training to be a husband to his wife and father to his children.

They're not unbudgeable bloodlust machines, I can absolutely see the whole bunch settling down after murdering Frieza, Cooler and Cold.

that will eventually lead to the extinction of humanity. Why don't we just ask for volunteers that want to ascend to sayien perfection?
>>
>>3713966
The way was a strict hierarchy of powerful elite warriors consolidating power by keeping their genes from the weaker, but still not helpless, masses. The challenge here is when "the elite" basically boils down to five people capable of exterminating the entire planet's population.
>>
>>3714531
Other than having to worry about moons there is no downside to becoming a saiyan. /fit/ as fuck without trying, stay in your prime until you are 80,stupidly durable, Zenkai boosts, the benefits completely overshadow the consequences.
>>
>>3714827
Most humans value more than just power, and the way Saiyans are wired runs pretty damn contrary to their more peaceful ideals.

>>
>>3715427
Probably because culturally speaking, Saiyans spent most of their time learning to fight. If they grew up in a society that put an emphasis on non-combat education, that would likely be different.
>>
Hey boys, enjoying the back and forth arguing even though we don't know what a dragon ball is yet and probably won't know for a while because earthlings are doing their best to keep them hidden.

I'm pretty sure that race-morphing isn't something that Shenlong can do either, otherwise I'm sure some Z-Fighters would've wanted to morph into Saiyans at some point in the story. Apart from the fact that it would be a completely broken powerup, why not wish ourselves into frieza-like species and just destroy the universe by training for a year and killing Beerus? You know, that doesn't sound so bad...

>>3713812
Yes, he did turn around in the end and only kept the bloodlust, or desire for battle, if you want to phrase it that way. Even in DBS Broly he was the one that wanted to just wipe Broly from existence with a single blast, much to Goku's dismay. And was probably the half of Gogeta that made him press on with the final blast. In my quest's case, Saiyan appeasement will come along faster, otherwise they'd have just wiped Earth of all life to leave no witnesses and fucked off, or you would've had to fight/kill your comrades to go along the peaceful line. I didn't want to kill Nappa or Raditz as they were interesting elements for the story, you'll see eventually, if your choices go as I think they will go.

Anyway, apart from commenting on these tinfoil hat conspiracies of yeeting all the humans into Saiyans, I'm here to blogpost that I've been kicked out of my apartment by my landlord, it's a long story. >power level scaling
What if we put a soft cap of like 10, 15, or 20 % of their total level, and when something like Freeza comes along, there is a special training montage + deus ex machina to power everyone up to the necessary levels?

We all know the in universe PL thing is broken so QM might want to do some homebrew rules to keep it "sane", like how some quests modify GOT rules for quests.

I'm kinda sad we skipped a potential fighting arc with Goku against the other Saiyans. I was expecting them to fight Goku from weakest to strongest.

No worries anon, senpai and gf got me covered.

As for Power Level increases, I thought of doing percentages, but I realized it would just lead to exponential power-ups, that's why I decided for case by case basis. Right now, I think rises between 4k-8k for Zenkais is alright for this level.
>>

you can always throw two longer arcs our way, just so we don't have to fight frieza's insane 150,000,000 power level right away, forcing you to give us 1mln zenkai boosts

>>
>>3716773
My theory on Saiyan evolution (and why Freeza was spooked by the Saiyans) is that they were only going to grow exponentially stronger after conquering planet Plant. Note that by then (730) they were already in the thousands in terms of PL, by the time Freeza destroyed the planet (736), being in the thousands was the norm and powerful kids like Vegeta were above 10k.

Still, I understand where you're coming from, Vegeta is supposed to be more gifted, while Nappa and Raditz are from the lower classes. I'll take into account as time goes on, maybe lower their cap for evolution when compared to Vegeta's, but not by a lot either. Kakarot is proof that all Saiyans can very well reach huge power levels.

Yes, Vegeta only powered up the Saiyan form in order to surpass Goku in the short term, he was blinded by that obsession. Goku, meanwhile, looked out for the long term and decided to make a more stable form of Super Saiyan.

>>3716849
Literally the same thing in Saiyan society. It's why edge cases like Broly resulted in autistic baby-assassination plots to secure the elites's status; it's one thing for a low class to drag himself up to elite status as a result of constant warfare and battle, it's quite another for some rando to be born leagues stronger than not only the king but the king's own son who was already on track to be stronger than him.

Session Prologue:

Goku is hanging with the Z-Fighters at Kami’s lookout, arguing on whether these Saiyans can truly be trusted or not.

Krillin enraged, is first to speak when he sees Goku arrive after giving the Saiyans their capsule homes. “What were you thinking, Goku?! You saw how evil those guys were, right?! Now you healed them and one of them is stronger than all of us combined!” He yells, terrified at the prospect of fighting their leader.

“But Krillin, you also saw how their ki became less evil after we treated them, right?” Goku’s wide innocent smile just sends Krillin into another tirade.

“Maybe, but they still reek of evil thoughts! They couldn’t care less about us and our fates! Not even your brother got emotional when he saw you, for pete’s sake!” He says.

“They just need a bit of time, Krillin. You don’t go from evil to hero in a day, you know.”

“Do we have time at all, Goku?”

“I think we do.”

Gohan throws in a shy interjection. “I like uncle Raditz, he looks mean but I think he’s good at heart.”

Goku points at his son. “See? That’s the spirit.”

“Good at heart, huh?” The band looks behind them, surprised to see the hulking Saiyan Nappa right on the lookout, wearing some hides he made from both bear and game.

Goku approaches him cheerfully, patting him on the arm. “Hey Nappa, how’s everything down there?” The rest of his comrades watch the smirking Saiyan, wary and afraid.

“Vegeta has insisted that I learn how to manipulate and sense power as he did. I was just trying that out. Seems it works well.”

“I guess learning fast is a Saiyan thing, huh?” Goku says, the rest seem to deflate as they realize how fast Nappa learned the technique.

“Seems like it. You earthlings better watch yourselves, we learn fast and our temper is short. Vegeta has been merciful with you because you took us in for a bit, but we could squash the bunch of you anytime.”

Goku smiles a smile that everyone else recognizes much too well, his brow furrows. “I’d like to see you take both me and Piccolo on.”

“Take on the only ones who aren’t from Earth, right? Hah!”

“No.” Yamcha’s voice comes as a surprise to everyone. “How about you take on the ones who consider themselves earthlings? Goku and us, the humans.”

Goku watches his plan unfold just as he wanted. “I’ll take the Senzu Beans, might want to warn Vegeta about your plan though.”

Nappa smiles. “No need, I’ll take care of the bunch of you in a jiffy.”

It begins

The capsule homes brought in by Kakarot have done their job rather well. They’re comfortable, more than a pod anyhow, and the three of you have an easy time surviving in the wilds of Earth. Hunting using finger beams, washing at a nearby river. You spend your time up in the hills, watching the surroundings and letting the wind go around you, pondering on where a surviving Saiyan would be, trying out your newfound power of ki manipulation.

One of those times, Raditz comes up, he’s wearing an old ‘Gi’ that Kakarot offered him, along with a hide cape covering his shoulder, made from what the locals call a ‘black bear’ that he killed with one hit to the head. “Prince Vegeta.” He says, then bows.

You nod. “What is it?”

“I’d like to say that I’m sorry for my outburst in defence of Kakarot the other day. I shouldn’t trust these earthlings so much.” He looks down, shamed.

“It’s not the earthlings we’re trusting, it’s Kakarot.” You cross your arms, still your dead eye twitches, and you haven’t told anyone that you sometimes get dizzy, the lack of depth of field is not a welcome thing, though you’re slowly adapting.

“Right, but we’re going to learn their techniques, we are Saiyans, right? We should use Saiyan techniques.” He says.

>Saiyans adapt, we grow stronger and that’s all that matters. Even if these techniques are developed by others.
>We are merely using the earthlings, remember this. Kakarot will join us one day.
>We should be grateful to the earthlings. They have saved our lives and asked for nothing tangible in return.

“Saiyans adapt, we grow stronger and that’s all that matters. Even if these techniques are developed by others. Besides, do you really think we can afford to pass up on something so useful? I doubt even Frieza knows about this technique, given how he still uses scouters...”

Raditz nods and stands by your side, wondering. “It is a great boon. We can manipulate our power level and stay hidden at will, along with making our foes underestimate us. It’s why I wanted to stay.”

A short silence ensues, you decide to share your thoughts with Raditz. “There are four-and-a-half Saiyans. We are, apparently, genetically compatible with these earthlings, weak as they are, for what appears to be a minimal loss in average power. Their techniques and training methods allow for a growth of 200 times the average earthling, and seem at least partially compatible with Saiyans given Kakarot's own growth. “Saiyan pride will have me turn my nose up at a lot of things, Raditz, but for all this planet is full of weaklings, there's just too many potential boons here for me to disregard it.” You finally say, it stings a bit to speak of your Saiyan pride that way, but what matters is the Saiyan race, not a teeny bit of your pride.

Raditz watches you, in a bit of awe. “I’m surprised you’d share that with me, I’m a low-ranker anyway.”

You smirk, closing your eyes. “Do I have much choice in partners for conversation?”

Raditz laughs. “Not really, Nappa’s a bit thick-headed with these things.”

Hmph. What a way to speak of his superior. “We’re keeping the earthlings alive as allies for now, Kakarot will be our ‘emissary’ to them.”

“Yes, my prince.” Raditz responds.

Hm? Why is Nappa’s power surging all of a sudden? And Kakarot’s… You look behind you to the south, arms crossed. Your brows furrow, and you start to feel anger. What is that fool doing? He and Kakarot are there, along with some of the humans. Tch.

Raditz is also looking south. “What’s wrong?” He says, disconcerted.
“Nappa’s doing something. That fool thought I wouldn’t detect him from this far away. Hide your power level and come.” You and Raditz blast off into the sky in Nappa’s direction, you lower your power level as well. That fool will be too focused doing whatever he’s doing to check up on you.

In the middle of an ocean stand a few islands with empty greenery and a few trees. Nappa is charging up in front of the surprised Z-Fighters, who watch with fear, but they are decidedly going to fight. Tien, Chiaozu, Yamcha and Krillin are together, Goku and Gohan are watching from the sidelines.

“Ready?” Goku says. The fighters nod and so does Nappa. “Go!”

Nappa smiles in contempt as he watches all the puny humans approach him, Tien tries to deliver a punch to his face, which Nappa knocks away with his own arm. Chiaozu throws a few finger beams which Nappa doesn’t even bother to deflect at all and simply eats up, bruising his worn hides.

Yamcha tries to kick him in the back but his leg is grabbed and the man is thrown towards a cliff, where he crashes.

Krillin also tries to approach from right behind Tien, but Nappa launches him away with a hand sweep, joining Yamcha at the cliff.

“Bah! See?! You can do nothing against me!”

You sit back and watch Nappa fight. Maybe something interesting could happen, as long as Nappa doesn’t kill anyone.

Nappa, again, stays on the defensive, watching his opponents with a devilish grin on his face. “You guys are struggling to even reach me.”

With that taunt, Tien is first to react, he fires a Dodon Ray towards Nappa, who is surprised by the sudden outburst of energy, but he deflects it with a sweep of his palm. He stands there, sweating a bit after the scare. “I’ll give it to you though, this power detecting technique is a very good find.” He says as he moves his hand around to refresh it.

Next comes Yamcha, who readies his Wolf Fang Fist, but Nappa interrupts that with a two finger blast that he sprays in his general direction. “What’s the point of a technique that you have to dance around to prepare? Bah!”

Krillin flies down towards Nappa like a stinger bee, but he’s stopped by Nappa’s hand, who grabs his head. “Y’know, I could crush you with this hand if I wanted. Hahaha!” Nappa throws Krillin to the cliff again, as if he were nothing.

“I’m done playing, time to go on the offensive.” Nappa strikes his classic pose.

Do you want to participate? Looks like it's the last round unless the Humans can do something about it!

Roll a 1d100 for Nappa/Yamcha/Krillin/Tien/Chiaozu (Whoever your favorite is). The first 1d100 rolled is final.

...did Chiaozu just kamikaze Nappa? I could see him getting a 'tag' win if he clamps on and tells Nappa that in a real fight he'd have just gotten suicide bombed. Especially if Nappa just laughs it off, appreciating the guts involved but telling him it probably wouldn't even leave a scratch in an actual fight.

“AAAAAH!” Nappa yells as he powers up, readying himself to give the fools a beatdown. Krillin fires a barrage of ki blasts, using the opportunity, but Nappa either deflects or is completely unaffected by the blasts. He then approaches Krillin lightning fast and delivers a knee to his gut, putting him down.

He grabs Krillin and throws him towards Goku. “Looks like this one didn’t cut it- Huh? Why can’t I…” You’re surprised to see Nappa suddenly freeze in place. This is like Guldo’s power! But how? Ah, there it is. The weird child-like human over there has his hands up. Nappa, you fool.

Then you look above, the power levels of the tall bald one and his long-haired friend are rising. The first suddenly releases a whole bunch of finger rays which all hit Nappa in the back. He’s struggling to move, and slowly frees himself from the clutches of the runt’s paralysis. But then the long-haired one yells.

“HA!” is all you can hear, a huge white blast is fired from his hands and hits Nappa squared in the back as well. The runt releases his paralysis. Nappa falls over, his hands on the ground. He hits the ground and rises. “AH!” He yells.

“You’ll pay for that!” He says, then opens his mouth wide to fire his Break Cannon. Opening his mouth wide and charging his ki.

“Enough.” You yell. Nappa’s attack is interrupted and he watches you like a child caught stealing. “I’ve told you not to harm the earthlings, you know full well what you’re about to do.” You say as you discover yourself from your hiding spot, your brow furrowed in anger still, you let your ki rise to its normal levels, which makes Nappa gulp.

“V-Vegeta! Since when?!” Nappa yells.

“Do not disobey my orders ever again.” You say to him.

“Y-You’re being too merciful! If they can’t take on my Break Cannon at full power, then they’re weaklings! They can’t call themselves warriors! They deserve a lesson!” Nappa says, his forehead vein propping up.

>Maybe I should teach you a lesson by firing my Galick Gun.
>You’ve been outsmarted by these weaklings in the end. Had they had just a bit more power, you’d be lying in the ground defeated.

“You’ve been outsmarted by these weaklings in the end. Had they had just a bit more power, you’d be lying in the ground defeated.” You say. Nappa shakes his head.

“So what?! I had more power than them! They couldn’t even hurt me anyhow!”

This time, you approach him, he takes a few steps back, but still keeps a headstrong expression.

“You're relying on your brute strength to solve this fight for you, instead of being a disciplined warrior. You don't think, only act. That behavior would get you killed against a real opponent, and nearly saw you laid low by these weaklings.” You say as you approach, walking slowly.

He steps back a few more times. “B-But…”

You point at him with your left hand. “You are going to shut up, you are going to behave, and most of all, you are going to learn how to fight properly, instead of flailing about and hoping you hit something.” The last part came out with a near yell.

Everyone is silent, watching your outburst against Nappa nervously. Raditz is the only one to speak.

“Nappa, Vegeta saved us! He wants what’s best for us, you know that!” He pleads.

“Tch.” Nappa spits to the ground. “You’re growing compassionate, Raditz.” He says. Then surrenders, raising his hands. “I’ve fought with King Vegeta ever since the Plant wars. This wasn’t how we did things under him. We claimed what we saw and we conquered!” Nappa raises his fist, then releases that grip. “But Vegeta is the Prince now. I’ll obey.”

“Good decision.” You say, then look at Kakarot, who’s offering Krillin a senzu bean. "Well Kakarot, what techniques can you teach us in this first month?”

“Well, I can teach you the Kiai, the Destructo Disc, the Solar Flare or the Kamehameha. They’re all pretty good stuff.” He goes on to show you each attack one by one, except for the Kamehameha, which he comments that Yamcha did already.

Nappa and Raditz eye each other up with some nasty stares. As do the fighters who are still up with Nappa as well.

>The Kiai. A powerful forcewave which is useful to cancel out enemy ki attacks or to move them around with precision. Does not hurt the opponent too much.
>The Destructo Disc. A tracking version of the tail slicer, but takes longer to prepare. Good if you want to cut anything at all but is hard to properly hit with.
>The Solar Flare. A blinding sunray hits your opponent, leaving them defenceless. Perfect for escaping a bad situation or to get a free hit in, but leaves you wide open if you fail.
>Kamehameha. A powerful white beam that is fired by uttering each syllable as you prepare the ki in your hands. Powerful, but takes very long to prepare.
>>
>>3717787

Going with either the Kiai or the Solar Flare.

By all accounts we shouldn't try to learn the Kamehameha if only because that means we're like Kakakarrot Cake. And we're much better then that.

What is the difference between the galick gun and the kamehameha again? I was kind of thinking of them as the same thing.

“The Solar Flare seems useful. Teach us that.”

“Oh, it’s actually Tien’s technique but…” The tall bald man leaves the premises as soon as Kakarot says that. “Well… I can teach you in his place! It’s really easy, you just have to put your open palms aimed inwards in front of your face, shut your eyes, concentrate your ki into your fingers then release it one in one big swoop! Krillin uses two fingers instead of the whole open palm, so that works too.”

All three Saiyans put up the pose for the solar flare, Nappa does so reluctantly. All three you fire finger beams instead of using the solar flare, you nearly melted Nappa’s moustache off or cut Raditz’ hair, but you just barely missed.

“This doesn’t work!” Nappa says.

“It does.” Kakarot strikes the pose. “SOLAR FLARE!” He yells, a blinding white light engulfs the three of you. You open your eyes and can only see a giant black spot, but can still feel the ki of Kakarot, who stands right in front of Nappa.

“See?” He says. “I’m right here in front of you in the time it took you to recover from the initial light. Still…” He walks up and down, as if you were recruits listening to a sergeant. “The Solar Flare is not an inherently offensive technique, I think that’s what you’re missing out on. Its purpose is defensive, it’s made to allow you time to retreat or rethink your plans. It doesn’t hurt, it only blinds for a short time. If you want to hurt someone, you’re better off firing a beam of energy than wasting your ki on a Flare.”

“Unless we use it to surprise them.” Raditz comments. “It’ll give us the upper hand during its first use.” He closes his hand in a fist.

Nappa nods. “Right, I see where you’re going. Is this what you mean by thinking things out more Vegeta?”

You nod. “Any technique can be offensive if you put your mind to it. But Kakarot still speaks the truth, our ki could be put to better use in offensive situations. We’re stuck in an offensive mindset, it’s in our Saiyan blood. We have to open up to more complex tactics.”

“What he said.” Kakarot quips. “Well then, let’s get to it!”

The weeks pass and slowly your Saiyan minds begin understanding the concept of these techniques. Your ki can be liberated for something that isn’t going to murder someone else, which is something quite refined for those who often used it to its full power in order to kill and destroy. Nappa has the harder time learning it and is the last one to do so.

Again, at the beginning of the fourth week, you see Raditz striking the gesture in front of Nappa who tries again. Nowadays it’s simply that nothing comes out of his hands at all. You’re glad, in a way, he nearly blew up an entire island when he tried out the two-finger version used by no-nose shorty.

Hm? What’s this? You stand up from the lawn chair you were sitting on, lazing about for an hour. You’re feeling a Ki coming into the surface… “Nappa, Raditz, bring your power to a minimum." You say.

You look around and feel the powers of the rest of the earthlings going down all around the globe. They don’t want to be noticed either, they don’t know this guy.

“V-Vegeta!” Nappa says. “Are you sensing that power?”

“Yes.” It’s bigger, bigger than your own… Only a man of Frieza could have such power…
Raditz hurries to his capsule home and picks up a scouter, using its planetwide searcher to find out the exact amount. “It’s… 29.948! That’s… way too much! And there’s five more that are between 7.000 and 10.000!”

“Who do we know with that level of power?” Nappa asks.

“Not even Frieza’s two aides had this level. The Ginyu Force sent someone?” Raditz wonders.
You grit your teeth. “The Ginyu Force works together, never on their own. And there’s no way they found us this quick.”

“We gotta go see who it is, maybe a Saiyan’s with them!” Raditz says.

“Right, we’re going.”

All three of you blast off towards the source of the energy, in the distance you see strange pods dropping from way above ground.

“That’s coming from a spaceship alright.” Nappa says.

“Hmmm.” You wonder what to do. The pods aren’t large enough to have people in them, it may be best to just crash into the ship with your pods…

--- Within the Spaceship hovering above Earth ---

A sinister gloom emanates from the dark interior of the spaceship, whose only light comes from the sun rays outside.

“We’re here boss.” An alien says, watching Earth through the window.

“Good. Finally, another worthy planet. Hahaha!” His laugh echoes in the halls of the spacecraft, and his underlings smirk.

Session ends! I started getting a headache by the end of this one and decided to end it prematurely, but I couldn't leave it without the cliffhanger for next session, which should come sometime during the next week in a new thread. Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled on the catalog from Tuesday onwards.

Yup, he can, as long as you release the ki right, you can do it with any number hands using any pose close to your face, really. I need to remember that Raditz is crippled when I write, too, or I'll goof it someday.
>>
>>3718010
Who is this tubby unit?
>>
>>3718118
It seems to be Turles and crew, same number of dudes and the pic is from tree of might. Convenient assuming we can successfully establish dominance via violence. This also brings up the tree of might which we can use to beat Frieza assuming we are willing to genocide a number of quality planets to get enough fruit. (The saiyan crew at this point would realistically be all in on going full genocide with the tree to obtain ultimate power assuming canon personalities at that point of the story, hell we will likely need a damn good reason not to just dust the Z fighters promise be damned and plant the tree on earth then fuck off to other targets until we can take Frieza.)
>>
>>3719377
Oh definitely. Just not Earth. Earth has wayyyy too many good points to genocide.

What are some nearby Devouring Maw esque polities? The kind that conquer and eat entire populations? We can genocide a planet or four of them and nobody will bat an eye. It's like space nazis.
>>
>>3719377
>we will likely need a damn good reason not to just dust the Z fighters promise be damned
Goku would fight till the end and we can't afford to lose another Saiyan?
>>
>>3719402
It's been ages since I last watched tree of might so I read the dragon ball wiki, it seems a extract from the tree of might can revive the long dead even if the dead in question are literal fossils, that's how Turles got his two short purple dudes. So we just need some Saiyan graves with something left of the bodies and we should be able to revive at least a small amount of saiyan's per genocide, so we would be killing Goku but gaining many more Saiyans who would likely be on board with our plans. All this assumes we actually get the full story on the tree, I would have to watch tree of might again to see if Turles and crew ever monologue on the tree and everything it can do.
>>
>>3719462
Pretty sure “space dust” is a bit beyond even what the extract could handle, if only on a logistical level. That would be a hilarious wish though. “Hey, Shenron, bring back all the Saiyans!” “THIS IS BEYOND MY POWER...” “Ok, how about just their dead bodies?” “...I HAVE A CONCERN...” Clearly the best wish though would be for a planet that could sustain Trees of Might indefinitely.
>>
>>3720533
>Clearly the best wish though would be for a planet that could sustain Trees of Might indefinitely.
That would be great if Shenron could actually do it, but where would we put it and how will we keep it out of Freeza's hands? If he gets his hands on a planet like that he'll go for gold before we can become a Super Saiyan.
