You are engulfed by a throbbing, cold wave of pain. Hands clenched, a fountain of blood erupting from your injured hand. Your legs shakily make their way down the street they are in. Another wave of pain hits as you wince, bringing your good hand up to where the left side of your face had once been.

That damnable upstart with his heavenly potential, beyond that of your power. Fate had betrayed you in that moment of all consuming despair, when Golden Experience had thrust the arrow into its chest at the behest of its master. Your other half, Diavolo did not know it, but you did. Still, even with that momentary lapse of Judgement, you are certain that Fate is still on your side. After all, you had reached the truth, as agonizing and horrible it is. Your other half was not as fortunate as you were.

An ethereal blackness seeps from the gaping hole of what was the left side of your face, now shattered and open, revealing the dark void that lied within you. To add insult to injury, Epitaph was far too damaged for you to use. Of what use was your ability to rewrite fate, if you could not see the fate that would be made for you?

The concrete sidewalk shakes beneath your feet, and somewhere inside of your consciousness, you are aware of what could only be an earthquake occurring at this very moment. You collapse, tumbling onto the floor as your incorporeal form skids across the litter ridden alleyway. As it seemed, you were not completely free from that Requiem Stand's curse, given by how weak you feel. How dare that upstart do this to you! For a brief moment in time, your pain lapses and you clench your still bleeding fist, slamming into the ground as the concrete beneath you buckles, cracks webbing from the point of impact before it shatters.

Your good eye turns unnaturally in its socket, emerald green beholding your surroundings.

What are they?
>>
>An urban city, with unfamiliar signs written in that damnably familiar Japanese script. From what you can see, the people here must be afraid of the dark or something in the dark, as the souls you see rush into their abodes as soon as they reach them. There is a distinct number that is written on some signs. 20th followed by the character that sings to your soul, a comforting ward of sorts.

>A futuristic city, full of horribly clashing neon lights, technology that is so advanced that you think you might be underneath a Stand's influence as of now, only to be brought out of that delusion by the shattering thunder of distant gunfire, the yells of humanity and the distinct split in souls, some human, others artificial. It is then that you realize that this city is in the midst of a war zone between Man and Machine.

>A decrepit city, writhing with the stench of death and humanity. There are souls that have a strange, almost alien potential to them, as if they could manifest stand-like powers through great adversity and conflict. There is a brief yet pleasant hint of brine that shifts throughout the city.

The trash that is littered about so carelessly around your feet, the rotting stench of humanity, degenerates like those that your other half had indirectly created through Passione's control of the drug trade. With your good eye, you see the souls of those who walk past the entry of the alleyway you are in, almost bursting from their hollow shells due to the amount of raw potential that is stuffed into it. That potential is alien, and immense, with qualities that are not unlike the Requiem Arrow which doomed your other half.

Your form is currently weakened due to Gold Experience Requiem's blows, Epitaph being unavailable to you. There are many options that are available to a soul as learned as you are, due to your unique nature. You could...

>Piggyback off of someone else's soul, preferably a person with weak will as it will make it much easier for you to subsume their personality

>Obliterate someone and gather attention, to find a suitable host for you to connect to in a parasitic manner

>Find someone's soul, preferably a strong willed person and hide within it, recovering your lost strength(This method is much quicker, and also far more riskier than the other options)

A lance of pain sears the hole where the left side of your face had been, reminding you of your current situation. You are certain that Impatience is what had doomed you to be split apart, one half eternally dying, yourself brutally maimed at the hands of Gold Experience Requiem, but you'd rather be rid of this pain quickly than to suffer it any longer. The indignation burns more than the pain, the humiliation that you had received being echoed eternally by your mangled face.

You begin to move forward, this time with purpose in mind, a purpose that is powerful enough to let you bear the spasm inducing agony of your current predicament. Within moments you notice three souls that are strong willed in particular, golden wisps in a sea of blue and regular.

Which soul do you latch onto?

>The soul of a young Afroamericano whose soul is tinged with motes of golden will and black infamy

>The soul of a fanciulla with a freckled face, whose soul is both golden with will and yellow with self-doubt and hatred. There is an outline of green surrounding their potential

>The soul of a middle aged man whose soul is partially hollowed, wracked with emptiness and guilt. Yet there is still an ember of yellow that blazes from within the deepest parts of his soul

Not sure who this is. I think #2 might be Midoriya again (let's save that for SQR) and #3 might be All Might, though maybe I've just been conditioned by SQR to think in MHA terms and I'm actually being retarded.

The soul of a middle aged man, hollowed yet determined.
>>
>>3724810

There is something about this soul in particular that intrigues you. Is it how it is hollow, yet still strong in spite of its weakness? No, for you have seen many a colony type stand, and rare are the colony stands that are easily dismissed. Mista's Sex Pistols taught you this lesson very well, for if you did not have your control over fate, you would have died during that confrontation in Rome. Rather, it is the lingering guilt within the man and the ease of which you could subsume him whole if you wished to do so that attracts you to his soul.

You wobble towards the man, his form becoming all the more distant before you break out into a sprint, arms slicing through the air like an airplane's wings as you thunder towards the man's soul. Without a moment's hesitation, you leap towards the hollow golden wisp, your arms soon submerged within its ephemeral form. A brief sucking sensation rises through your arms and into your shoulders, as if you had stuck your hands out into a vacuum.

It slowly grows in strength, at first resisting your attempts to enter his soul, only for it to accept your presence. Your forearms follow suit, sinking into the man's soul as you are consumed by the golden motes of light and mist. Already, you feel the cracks within your soul beginning to heal, as the broken porcelain of your face begins to mend.

It is perhaps due to the man's hollow and despondent state that he does not notice your intrusion of his soul. Or did he? You can never be too sure about matters like these.

The man is more hollow than you previously thought, as you had in fact been very messy when you entered his soul. He only grunts uncomfortably when you enter his being, and his thoughts seem to think that he just had a bit of escaped gas. His surface thoughts are typical for a man of his type. They give little to no information about your current location, except for the fact that he worries greatly for his Daughter. Even if he is half the man he used to be, you can feel what little strength he still has. It is an ember, but it burns brighter than the wills of those who are more whole than he is.

You are currently sitting within his soul, slowly regaining your strength. You estimate that within a week, you will have regained your power and will be able to leave this host's body. You are surrounded by his surface thoughts, mostly mundane thoughts such as dinner, a nice cool beer and something else interesting. The Dockworker's Union. It seems that your current host is a spokesperson for said Union, albeit the Dockworker's Union is in a state of ruin due to some entity that rampaged over the seas.

The more you ponder, the stranger this new world becomes.

A story with a unique setting with power mechanics that sate peoples' autism, but is unfortunately very heavily rooted in - it hurts me to type it - reddit. People on here have run quests using the story and relevant mechanics, but all of them have died to the QM Curse no matter what. There's been a lot of discussion about it and if it's even good or not during one of the recent /qtg/ threads. Not sure if you'd be interested or not.

His trifling thoughts are not relevant to your current situation. As it stands, you may not be able to glean any more useful information from your host. You hesitantly peek out from your Host's body, your one good eye marking your surroundings while your fractured face begins to heal. The city(Brockton Bay) from what you can glean is an utter piece of garbage. The trash of the United States if you will, as even on The Boardwalk as your host calls it, you can still see the dregs of society. They live in dark alleys, the dumpsters and the slums, as befitting the dreck that they are.

You can glean from your observations that this city is poor and in dire straits, which means that your host must also be impoverished or middle classed, for why else would he live in such a shithole. This will affect your goals in the long term, no matter which way it may affect it, positive or negative.

What is your goal?

>Re-establishing Passione

>Regaining your strength and leaving this shithole of a city

>Subsuming your Host's personality and taking his body for your own

So guys, discuss this side quest: how does it relate to SQR? What can we do with KC in Wormverse Earth Bet? Where can we go from there? And has STANDO channeled his autism to read enough about mechanics and details to do this setting justice?
>>
>Re-establishing Passione
>>
>>3725199
My guess is that KC has been through more than one universe before he got to our boy, with this one being his first, but for one reason or another fate repeated itself, resulting in the death of his host and sending King Crimsion back into the void between realms with no recollection of his most recent excursion, either that or the failure was a minor dissapointment that didn't matter to him since he wasn't too attached to that shithole anyway and just like Araki he forgot. After all, the only thing that matters are the results. I think this was implied in thread #1 since the memories of Diavolo were first spoken of in a hazy tone, as if it had happened in a distant past. As for setting changes this seems like another instance of the magic virus meteor breaking up in the upper atmosphere seperating into a pure strain, which is still on the remaining pieces and a deviant strain, that was more widespread. It's too early to do any major speculation.
>>
>King Crimson quest is back.
>In worm.
Oh Boy! Christmas came early!
>>
>>3725199
>What can we do with KC in Wormverse Earth Bet? Where can we go from there?
I think we can do pretty substantial amount with KC, if we use Worm's power classifications we should have Brute(Stand Strength), Thinker(Epitaph) and a really good Shaker(How does it work?).

Unfortunately this setting is grimdark and has stuff that could wreck us if we're not careful, like Endbringers which are essentially Kaijus, Contessa who's the strongest Thinker, her power is called path to victory and it's essentially a step by step guide for "I win", S-class threats like Nilbog and the Slaughterhouse 9 who are 9 Murderhobos that have pretty good powers including a Not!Stand called Siberian.
>>
Btw i'm that autist that tried to run a Worm Nazi quest before putting it up for adoption, if you have any lore questions just ask me and i'll try to answer it as accurately as possible.

Okay, but If this Is the real STANDO then why no SQR? Are you just running this In the meantime before you get back to the main quest?

Please don't tell me our autism scared you off continuing SQR.
>>
>>3725499
Nah,he liked the autism as long as it didn't get too out of control. I can understand the desire to have a break and try something different for a few months. I'm certainly not complaining, besides it will be back in October so we can ride the hype train of the manga, the anime and the quest simultaneously.
>>
>>3725499
Yes. I'm running this in the mean time to sort of get back into the whole quest sort of move.
>>
>>3725401
Power classifications are based on apparent effects rather than actual mechanics.
>Brute (obvious)
>Mover (can move in erased time, appearing to teleport)
>Thinker (if they find out about Epitaph)
>Master (for the user himself)
>>
>>3725919
They'll figure out a Thinker component from the mass disorientation and confusion people will get from the timeskip, as well as Shaker from people moving and acting without awareness. A lot would also depend on King Crimson's effective range on his timeskip putting people on autopilot, definitely not worldwide or people will figure out time is skipping globally from someone's overpowered Shaker effect. KC will be a target to everyone, maybe even Endbringers too if they are not immune to Epitaph or timeskip.
>>
>>3725981
>definitely not worldwide or people will figure out time is skipping globally from someone's overpowered Shaker effect
If you think about it, people have no reason to notice something is amiss. Everything is as their memories say it should be, except whatever Diavolo affects.
If you were trying to shoot him and then see that he hasn't been shot, you realize he used his ability; if you were driving down a highway in another country, you go forward to ten seconds later and see nothing unexpected, so you never realize time was erased.
>>
Am I the only one who gets the feeling that Worm is in the MHA timeline right before the collapse started going into full swing? If so, shit is going to really hit the fan at supersonic speeds near the end of this spin-off with things like Giga Nigga becoming locked in a city leveling endurance match with an Endbringer that lasts for so long that he gets big enough to causually toss it into the sun and AFO making his grand entrance.

Regaining your strength and Re-Establishing Passione
>>
>>3726178

Among all of your priorities, there are two that are number one, just as Doppio had been to Diavolo. Your first and most important priority is for you to recover and to get out of this garbage dump of a city. With the knowledge that your host is hollowed enough to barely notice your presence, there are several options as to how you can recover your strength.

>Tear into your Host's soul and absorb its energy to hasten your recovery

>Be patient and wait within your Host's soul

>(Write-In)

Your second priority is to reestablish Passione. From what you can glean from a surface thought that is surprisingly useful, this city, Brockton Bay has people known as 'Capes'. These 'Capes' have a stand-like ability in spite of their notable lack of one. It seems that these emergent figures explain the odd, now noticeably alien infusion of potential into their souls. They could be useful, serving as the new Stand Users of Passione if you ever get to recreating it, as there are more dangers in this world than the one you hailed from.

For one, there are many gangs in this city, which contribute to your want of getting away from it. Secondly, your Host is a potential target to two of these gangs, those two being the Azn Bad Boys and the Archer's Bridge Merchants. They are both degenerate and are familiar in some ways. The Merchants seem to be a more primitive and low-brow version of Passione's drug trade team. The Azn Bad Boys with their racketeering and gambling are more like Passione, except that they trafficked humans.

Finally, there is the so called 'Empire' Eighty Eight, a band of Neo-Nazis whose leader dared to call himself Kaiser. Its very name offends you, for you were supposed to be the Emperor of your World. Yet this rag-tag Gang dares to call itself an empire, reminding you of your stinging failure.

Now that you have more information on Brockton Bay's Gangs, what shall you do?

Despite your goals lying elsewhere, could he end up as a notable contact for when you find a suitable host, if not one himself once he ceases to be a shell of a man?
From what I remember of reading side notes and info, Taylor's dad could have gained three different sets of powers. All three are at their core related to "coordinate control over lower lifeforms". In his case, they would almost always be rats due to his personality and repressed anger.

Rule number one of operating in complete secrecy; don't take any unnecessary risks. You kill a guy through unexplained cape-ish means and before you know it, everyone and their mother is looking for a bodyjumping sentient 'power'. Thinkers are a hell of a drug.

Speaking of, we really need to either figure out a way to appear benevolent enough to fool Thinkers, should they figure out a way to see or otherwise realize the existence of Stands, lest we run into that nasty secret identity thing.

Now that I'm thinking about it I wonder how much we can warp his ability once we have 100% control. With the greater connection to souls from being a stand's meat puppet is it possible we could aquire a controlled version of Silver Chariot Requiem without any of the drawbacks? Just imagine it, we can create sleeper agents at will or stop people's hearts remotely death note style. Definitely going back to my original blessed vote.

You will stay your hand, as in spite of his hollowness, your current host could be useful for you later on. It is also prudent to not kill him in a manner that could be considered 'capish', as you suspect that there are those capes with the power to quite possibly find you. How annoying. To think that this world would have people who are able to find you, and for them to try to do so in the first pl-.

Your inner monologue is interrupted by the creaking of an aged door, revealing a cozy and somewhat dimly lit room. Your host sighs, closing the door as he placed his bag onto the coat rack. Dusting his shoes, he walked into the kitchen, opening the refrigerator, removing a can of cheap beer from it. With a crisp snap, he opened it, taking in a long first gulp. It is here that you find an opportunity to slip past his rather fiery will which guarded the deepest portions of his soul. You quietly slide further into his being, and bask in the information.

There is something odd. Your crimson aura flares to life as you realize that you are within a chamber of flesh. It undulates in a recognizable rhythm, a membrane of his red ichor opening then closing in tandem with the beat.

The rhythm stops for a brief moment, as the flesh begins to split, fraying into individual lines. Soon, distinguishable features are found among the rapidly unfolding walls of flesh, of fingers and toes. It is with disgust that you come to realize that you are standing on a landscape of human limbs, bending and flexing, some squirming. This landscape stretches on for as far as you can see.

This must be the source of that alien potential. This place is definitely foreign and alien, but you have seen far worse at the hands of Cioccolata and his pet. For a moment, curiosity fills your unguarded mind before you remind yourself to stay vigilant.

There is a niggling sensation at the back of your head.

The floor moves, hands suddenly opening and grasping at the empty, humid air as the legs kick and the arms squirm like maggots. Without a moment of hesitation, you exit from this alien parasite that resided deep within your host. You come to the form of your host, Daniel Hebert, who is idly spinning his fork in a plate of cheap, home made spaghetti.

For a lack of quality ingredients, your Host somehow managed to make a relatively passable plate of Spaghetti. It would not compare to the dishes of Sardegna but nonetheless, it is impressive for a foreigner to do so well with pasta. His daughter soon comes to the table, taking her seat on the opposite side of the table.

Taylor Hebert, your Host's daughter was a comely if a bit thin young girl, who was quite tall for her age. From what you can see, her will is stronger than what her appearance may suggest. There are hints of self-doubt and resentment in her soul.

The table is quiet as the two, Father and Daughter eat their dinner with the Father occasionally giving a worried glance at his daughter.

What will you do?

>Monologue, for they cannot hear you

Honestly, I think we're good here. We don't need to assimilate or destroy the host's personality, he's already broken. We're just going to spur him on to pick up the pieces. We just need to guide him so he'll reassemble himself into something we can work with. Instead of searching for the perfect host, we'll *make* that host ourselves.

And this time, we're not going to make the stupid decision of assassinating the daughter of said host in order to keep our identity. That way lies getting discovered by the world at large and getting assassinated by a fabulous golden man with a dream.

Seeing as your Host and his daughter are both busy eating their dinner, you took the opportunity to just think about everything that has happened in the last 24 hours and quite possibly the entirety of your life. What is the color to a man's soul? Or simply what is the connection to it? You'd pondered upon this in the brief moments of respite you had during the rise of Passione, but upon becoming the Don of the organization, you'd lost what little peace you already had to cut throat politics and running a country from behind the shadows.

It was your reading of these colors that lead to your greatness, from bribing corrupt officials to finding those who had betrayed your organization in its early years. Even Doppio, the well minded and foolish fragment of your original self could read these colors. The colors of the soul lead to Solido Naso finding Donatella Una, the only person you had ever loved. Yet you never had much time to question the colors. Even in your youth, the Priest who had raised you, who had been your father in all but blood could tell that there was something special about you.

What do the colors mean? What was so special about red that Man in his nascent youth gave it the meaning of vitality, strength, aggression and violence? Blue with clarity, intellect and wisdom? Yellow, gold, riches and splendor? Why is it then that Bruno did not truly see that Giovanni Giovanna was not truly as altruistic as he seemed to be? You knew the cunning of that young boy the moment you laid your eyes on him. If he had been a paragon of virtue, like Jesus the Redeemer who he clearly tried to emulate, then why did he focus solely on the drugs?

Why then did his contempt seem to only focus on the drugs when he should have seen that blackmail, prostitution and assassination were each as equally horrible as the drug trade? A man of virtue would have found all of those aspects condemnable and would have torn the Mafia to pieces. But he seemed to only care about the drugs.

The color blue fit Giorno Giovanni well, for he was intelligent enough to mask his true ambition and ruthlessness from his leader, Bruno Bucciarati who was an excellent judge of character. Why could Bruno not be like his subordinate Fugo?

If only Bruno had given you the fucking arrow. If only Bruno had seen that you were the only one worthy of its power.

By the time you come to your senses from the fit of mind numbing rage you had, you find that your Host is now sitting on a couch, drinking a beer while watching his television.

Your hands wrap around the dull gold of his soul, your mouth coming closer to it. As its light shines over your face, you feel the hole mending quicker, along with the bottom half of Epitaph's face. If you continue at this rate, you estimate that you will be able to use Epitaph at half of its potential. However, it would be best for you to gain information about this land through the television.

From your Host's eyes, you can see that he has flipped through the news channel, its spokesperson informing of a recent villain attack somewhere in Australia. Subtly, you begin to whisper into his soul.

"Maybe that news channel is pretty interesting." You begin, your words sinking into the ethereal silk of his soul. Without a moment's consideration, your Host switches the channel, returning to the News.

"On a sidenote, infamous Villain and Copyright Demolisher, Dennis 'The Menace' has been arrested after his ten year campaign of terror against York's postal service. We'll get back to you with more after these messages."

Commercials begin to reel, some involving a famous 'Hero' as brand recognition, others which are more mundane yet interesting to you nonetheless.

It seems that this world may have more in common with the Comic Books that your original self loved than the one you were familiar with.

No worries. It's interesting to get a fish-out-of-water outsider perspective on the alien shittiness of Wildbow's Wormverse as a setting, even from someone as cunning yet shaken as a rogue King Crimson post-GER. I'm just glad we aren't doing the same old same old of capeshit in Brockton Bay all Worm quests (and fanfiction) constantly seems to do. The world of Earth Bet has so much unexplored and unnoticed things in it, ripe for expanding on and generating new stuff. There's The Guild in England, organizations where parahumans are in military units in Russia, mass violence and tribal conflict in Africa, and more. Then again, having Taylor's based dad with any significant role at all is a win in my book.

Ok new theory on where KC quest fits in to the main time line. Just before Midoriya was going to say, "OH HELLO THERE IIDA!! I'VE NEVER MET YOU BUT I KNOW YOUR NAME AND INTAMATE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL LIFE!! HOW'S THAT SPRAINED ANKLE DOING?! I KNOW AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT THAT SPECIALIZES IN CURING THAT CONDITION!!" Obvoiusly, but KC showing Deku his travels in an incredibly similar universe could confuse him to the point where Midoriya in his semi-concussed retardation BELIVES that what he saw was related to the collapse despite that not actually being the case. It would be funny as shit for him to try to convince his friends that there are secret mineral Kaiju that are hiding in the ocean waiting for All Might to die so they can have their murder contests. >"Hey!!! Amazons with landing strips are incredibly based! It just so happened that specific circumstances meant that was the most common source of them."
>"Really?"
>"I'm not into pubes, if it were up to me I wouldn't care even if it was fluffy like mine instead of that gross wirey-"

>"I need greater self control immediately."

>"Fine.. this rather unfortunate series of memories will be shown quickly so pay attention."
>What feels like a lifetime of information floods my senses, but some things aren't adding up, 2011, this was only a few years before the collapse
>Within 10 seconds I had cataloged what history I could about an age lost to time, the quirks, the villains and the horrors beyond comprehension.
>The flood ends with a ringing and my ears and everything is white again
>"WAKE UP DWEEB!!!"
>immediately wiping the drool of my face I dove into my notes whilewas still able to remember the details

Bakugo then used stun grenade at point blank range to calm his friend's hysteria. "Is he going to be alright?" Iida inquired. "He and the bird get that way sometimes you get used to it after a while."

You've gained enough information for now. Curling up within your Host's soul, you begin to feel your consciousness wax and wane, wavering at the precipice of slumber. You'll rest for now and recover, you think to yourself. After you regain Epitaph, you will get out of this stinking shithole of a city and go to greener pastures where you can then restart Passione.

You can't help but laugh to yourself as you drift off into sleep. Fate is once again on your side, for there is no one on this planet who knows who you truly are. For while you are the stand King Crimson, you are also one third of the fragmented being that was once Diavolo. Free of your identity, free of your past, and most of all, free of that stand.

Returning to the lightless and foreboding white that made up your inner mind was not something that you had done for a very long time. Before the Arrow pierced Diavolo's flesh, this was all that you knew. Lurking beneath your subconscious, your soul is an unpleasant yet calming sensation. Now that you know of disparity, you can feel just how empty this room is in comparison to that of the world outside, and even that of your Host's soul. Within moments, you feel a sucking sensation beneath your skull as Epitaph begins to reform, its mouth open in a soundless scream, features gripped with mind numbing agony.

It is good to be whole again. The presence of Epitaph can only mean one thing. That a week has elapsed outside of your slumber, and that your Host has managed to survive without your supervision.

I mean, he did more or less shelter us for the duration of our recovery. He knows nothing about us, and the least we can do is keep a bit of a lookout for him just before we leave. Just a teeny tiny bit of quid pro quo.

Real question is, are we going to try and activate his latent powers before we get out of dodge, to see in detail what happens? I mean, we're probably never going to see a chance in an environment this controlled again. Might as well make the best of it and make sure future opponents won't be able to catch us off-guard with some details we didn't bother to learn.

You decide to stay within this Daniel Hebert's soul for the time being. Silently, you commend Daniel Hebert for having the strength to withstand your presence draining his soul for almost an entire week. So long as you stay within your current host, no harm shall fall upon either his or his daughter's head. For as of now, you are basking within the light of his soul. For him to die at this stage would be disastrous for you. You may have misjudged him a bit, for in spite of his hollowness, Daniel Hebert's soul was still powerful enough to be drained by you on an almost constant basis and for him to not feel anything.

Reaching deeper into his soul, you find something alarming. The alien fleshscape that had also piggybacked off of his soul had vanished completely. The alien potential you feel within your host is gone. What does this mean? There are several implications that you don't quite understand.

You quietly emerge from Daniel Hebert's body as he is enraptured in some kind of television program, your eyes looking at the clock. 9:45 PM, it reads. You retreat into your Host's soul, skimming through the sea of his surface thoughts. Chief among them is the question of why his daughter wasn't back yet, followed by justifications for it, such as her going out with her friends.

This new situation you've found yourself in is confusing.

Recreating Passione may be easiest in Brockton bay simply since we can try to refill the niche Marquis left by recruiting from ex members that avoided the other gangs and from the dockworkers, hell just offer a gang that isn't racist or the Merchants and we get to tap into the Black and Latino community for recruiting.

The biggest problem however would be keeping Passione alive at that point from all the other gangs+PTR+Coil. BB essentially is the high risk high reward option.

I don't care about Taylor, but this happening to her while Danny is just sitting infront of a TV without even trying to look for her may destabilize him enough that he wouldn't work as a host anymore.
>>
>>3728509
I feel like that would be better for the crippling aftermath of him finding his daughter in the state she's in. We could act like we're his power he gained from the trauma, or something.

>>3728514
>In January 2011, she arrived back at school to find her locker had been filled with used pads and tampons, and then someone shoved her inside. She triggered after enough time had passed to realize no one who'd seen what happened was trying to help, and was freed from the locker by or before the end of first period.[106] While she recovered in hospital she was visited by the PRT in case she had triggered. She was overwhelmed by the sensory input of her power and didn't notice.[107] Her near catatonic state kept them from drawing any conclusions.
>"Taylor's classes are an hour and a half long, or an hour and fifteen minutes long, IIRC, with a bit of extra time for homeroom announcements and whatnot. She arrives at the start of the day and goes to her locker, she gets shoved into her locker and she has time to get a glimpse of people looking - and enough time passes that she realizes that those same people who saw didn't take any action on her behalf. She's not really in a position to bang, facing in, too cramped to turn around."
>"Not so much time passes that the next class starts - or it's as the class opens that people realize what happened and that's when she's let out."
She's already triggered, and must be somewhere in the hospital by now. The big question is why the fuck her dad wasn't informed of this ASAP by the school... unless they wanted to delay it as much as possible? It would be in-character for them at least.

I want to stay in BB, it's definitely overused but i find the idea of Mob Boss danny fun, plus we can explore other areas later to grow Passione if we succeed at establishing our group, Diavolo took over most of italy why can't we become as prominent as The Elite in the US as Danny?

Daniel Hebert's daughter, Taylor Hebert is not home when she is usually home. That fact pokes at your consciousness, prodding your paranoia into wakefulness as you begin to delve deeper into your Host's thoughts. Your Host believes that his daughter is still friends with a girl named Emma Barnes, and that she is with her. His good friend is in fact Emma's father, which is likely the root of Emma and Taylor's friendship. However, from what you saw of his daughter, she hates herself thoroughly.

Not only is her self confidence as alive as Bruno Bucciarati, but there's also the suffocating loneliness that radiates off of her. It reminded you of Doppio in his last moments, when you felt that part of you fade away into the ether. Just as you are about to nudge your host into investigating his daughter's disappearance, the phone begins to ring.

Daniel Hebert looks around, as if searching to see if his daughter was home before he groaned, getting up from his chair and walking towards the phone, picking it up. A clinically sterile voice began to speak from the phone. You could not make out what this voice was saying, for you felt a great wave of worry wash over you. Your Host drops the phone, letting it clatter on the ground as he quickly put on his coat and picking up his keys, rushing out of the door. He hurriedly slammed the door shut, locking it in a speed that would be comparable to that of a stand's, before he made it into his car.

The engine roars to life as he slams into the gas pedal, the wheels squealing as the asphalt flew upwards. Soon, the two of you were at a Hospital, with your host almost running into the door, had it not been for you blowing away a second of time. No one seemed to notice anything, not even your host.

"Where is she?" He commands the nurse, the tone of his voice frenetic and bothered. The Nurse's face is apathetic as she leads him to the room where his daughter lies.

It seems that she is in a coma.

Your Host collapses into a chair as the Nurse exits and shuts the door behind her.

What will you do?

Whisper into your HOst's soul
>>
>>3728884

In this moment of his despair, you have found that your current host has endeared himself onto you for some reason. Perhaps it is the similarities between he and you that you find, mostly in having daughters that were fifteen years old. Except that you attempted to kill your daughter, while this man loves his daughter with all of his heart. You find his soul, worn and battered, hollow, the glow of will within slowly being smothered by the rising despair and anger. Anger at the world that let this happen to his beloved daughter. Anger at his current situation, the lack of funds for the Dockworker's Association, at everything that has gone wrong in his world.

You plunge your hand deeply into his soul, feeling his emotions course through your body as you find yourself bound even deeper to this man. Yes. You will rebuild Passione through your host, and move away to somewhere nice, like New York. From what you've heard, there are those of the blood of Italia there. Now that you are more connected to his soul, you manifest from Daniel Hebert, still incorporeal as you stand by his ear.

"Do you wish for justice, Daniel Hebert?" You begin, your deep voice echoing throughout the room. This stirs your Host from his sorrowful ennui, his eyes widening behind his glasses as he looks around.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" Daniel Hebert whispers into the room, despair tinging his words before a rush of anger flows to the forefront of his mind.

"Can't you see that my Daughter is in a fucking coma!? Of course I want justice! This is some sort of sick prank isn't it? A new cape dicking around with a grieving father. I don't give a flying fuck if you're a ward or a member of the PRT or even a gang member! I'll end your bloodline!" He shouts into the room, before his cheeks grow flushed with a mixture of anger and embarrassment. This is the will within him that you sought after.

"You are but a sleeping slave to fate, ignorant to the truth that lies beyond the Crimson veil. This series of unfortunate events occurred at Fate's whim, with you none the wiser." You continue, Daniel's face reddening even further.

"This is a prank isn't it? If it isn't, then I've got a wack-job telepathic cape in the same room as my daughter, rambling on about fate." He then sighs, leaning against the hospital bed, clutching his daughter's hand. "Not like there's much to do anyways. If Fate's like this, then we're all fucked."

"Awaken, Daniel Hebert." You intone as you fully manifest from your Host's soul, the world buzzing, red streaking across the room as everything breaks apart. Daniel collapses to the floor in a panic, before realizing that he was not in fact jettisoned into space through some deranged Shaker's machinations. The presence of his daughter also comforts him.

How will you introduce yourself, now that he is in your world?

Introduce yourself
>>
>>3730155

You float to the side of Daniel, moving around the room with an almost unseen amount of distance between yourself and your Host, for you have not completed the bond yet. You begin to speak.

"I am an outsider, a foreigner to these lands. I come from a different time, a different country that was between the iron gates of Fate. A different world, not as alien as yours seems to be." Your Host seems to be taking this in relatively well for meeting a disembodied embodiment of someone's fighting spirit that had just latched onto his soul.

"After I escaped certain doom with my arrival here, I searched for a soul strong enough to house me, to save me from my slow demise. Then you came, along with two others. I could have chosen them, but I chose you in particular. I do not regret that decision, for I have been within you for a week now, and I have seen you fit for a more permanent position." He looks up when you mention a 'permanent position', eyes hidden by those hardy specs of his.

"Your anger, your desire for things to go right, to have a quiet life free of troubles, your paranoia and fear that is much like that of a cornered rat... You remind me of someone precious to me." You say, your voice tinged with a bit of sentimentality. Your Host seems to be getting onto what you're proposing. He begins to get up from his chair, mouth opening before time resumes to its original progression. Everything is the same as it had been, as if the room and the world had not broken to pieces at all.

You point at the digital clock on the wall. "Look there. Witness my true power." Your host follows your advice, his eyes widening behind his glasses as he realizes that ten seconds had elapsed. Yet your explanation to him in your world had only elapsed for about eight seconds.

"Are you convinced? Are you willing to accept me as your strength? To be the master of your own fate, that which has harried you and driven you to this state for so long?"

You finish, content with your own speech.

"I'll do it." He says, conviction filling his body as you begin to finalize your connection to him. Your form becomes all the more potent and physical, now that you are truly bound to a host. His soul is slowly darkening, a tinge of your crimson shrouding it.

Seeing as Daniel Hebert is your new host and technically your new 'Master', his happiness is a priority. After all, those who are content are easier to manipulate, which will prove itself to be vital in the later stages of your plan, once you get there of course. Digging through your host's memories with a newfound ease, you see that his Daughter was apparently the victim of a 'prank' that went wrong. Considering that his world has superheroes and supervillains like the comics you read, you'd figured that they'd consider this a prank.

You also consider it a prank, but mostly a prank that Cioccolata, that sick bastard would play, for his daughter was locked inside of a locker full of expired, bloody tampons, various biohazards and insects. Now that you think about it, Cioccolata would also somehow manage to attach a camera into the inside of the locker, just so he could record them for his sick thrills.

You are glad that the person who did this to her was not as sick as Cioccolata ever was. Else you'd have to kill them, and that would be very hard to pull off, given that there are people with literal superpowers here. Thus you have come to the conclusion that the School is hiding something, as there are no mentions of any identities of the perpetrators who could have done this.

What will you do?

To be fair, it's also fairly anti-Kira unless he pins it onto someone that wants him to succeed.
Actually, why didn't they do that? Yoshihiro and Yoshikage go find someone with Stand potential, inform them of what Stands are and then ask them if they'll go up to these guys and tell them who Yoshikage Kira is, offering them a stab with the arrow as a reward if they do it right. Kira obviously had plenty of time to think about it, and it sure as hell would have been safer than using Hayato.

"Daniel Hebert. I will help you get the justice that you want for your Daughter." You say, your voice resolute and severe, like always. Your Host's head perks up at this, waiting for you to continue.

"Have you considered the school? Winslow High School is from what I've gleaned an absolutely horrible school. Full of gangsters, never do wells and degenerates." Daniel Hebert seems to be deep in thought, but soon he begins to see the connection.

"Well Mr. Outsider, the school didn't really say much about the perpetrators behind this mess. They just said that they were able to get away before anyone could see them. They also called it a prank. Locking my baby girl in a locker full of biohazards." He says, voice flickering with anger.

"What if the school isn't telling you everything? The Governing body of an area reflects its citizens. If the students are corrupt, without morals and degenerate, then who is to say that the Faculty aren't the same?" Understanding dawns upon the middle aged man's face as his brow furrows in anger.

"You... You might be right. Oh god. You might be right." He quickly gets up from the chair, leaning down to give his daughter a quick kiss on the forehead as he leaves the room in a hurry. He practically tosses his coat on, thundering out of the hospital and into his car, slamming the door shut. The engine screams as he almost breaks the gas pedal in his anger, the car barreling down the empty street as he returns home. He enters, tearing his coat from his body as he yells.

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!" You think that he might need some time to cool off.

While your host is righteously furious and that you are unwilling to interrupt him, what will you do in the meanwhile?

He might be vulnerable to Blasters, certain Breakers, Strangers, Shakers, or arguably certain Tinker specializations. KC can fuck up Masters Trumps Strikers and Thinkers hardcore, and hold own against Brutes and Changers. Movers vary.
>>
>>3731022
If the PRT had the full info on King Crimson and Epitaph, what classifications would it have, do you think?
>>
>>3730918
>See if you can go deeper into his memories
When KC sees Danny's memories of Annette and makes the connection to Diavolo and Donatella, he'll probably feel more resolute about having selected him as a host. Maybe while he's at it he can gain knowledge of Parahuman classifications and world info like Scion and the Endbringers, or Danny can tell him himself later. It takes at most a month for Taylor to wake up, and soon after she takes up running in February and gearing to go vigilante hero (and an hero if that fails). The Lung fight is in April if I remember right, maybe later on. Either way there is plenty of time to get Danny go learn how to KC and Epitaph and IT JUST WORKS on people.
>>
Danny in-character had some real rage, not that terrible of a host.
>>
>>3731037
Not at pc for exact numbers right now, but Danny would definitely be high level Master. KC himself would be Brute (donuts, supreme strength), Mover (time erasure), Shaker (time erasure, mass autopilot sleeping slaves of Fate everyone), Thinker (Epitaph precog, super reflexes and precision), and maybe Trump ("HOW DOES IT WORK?!" anti-Thinker disruption passive) and Stranger (Stands are invisible to non-users but maybe some Thinkers, Changers, Tinkers, Breakers, or Shakers could have powers that reveal or sense him?)
>>
>>3731037
Danny: Master, Thinker
KC: Brute, Shaker, Stranger (Because he is invisible and also a ghost)
>>
>>3731106
Oh yeah, Danny would be Thinker too because Epitaph on himself without using or summoning KC outright. He can temporarily (for how long?) gift it to another individual too, as we know from Bruno behind the pillar and Doppio vs Risotto.
>>
>>3731105
I think KC and Danny might also get Trump on account of not being directly affected by other Trumps because no Shard.
So Power-Negation/copying/changing shit doesn't work.
>>
>>3731116
Oh then that's another Trump power for loaning out Epitaph.
>>
>>3731125
Yeah, that's Trump.
>>3731127
This too.

We really need a good big portion of a thread to get Danny up to speed on KCs capabilities. Physical reinforcement, speed boosting and big leaps a la Jotaro and Polnareff, Epitaph precognition and temporary gifting to disorient an enemy or support an ally, KC time erasure properties (kekkake dake da, intending an action and making it Fated to skip to its end while you prepare something else, repositioning properly, short-hop teleports to dodge attacks or mass autopilot disrupt people), and most importantly... donuting people and using strength plus precision to make unexpected routes to get to places.
>>
>>3731125
Danny would be a high level trump not only because he can loan Epitaph and the HOW IT WORKS?!? meme will drive thinkers rabid but also because Trump power don't affect him at all, No-Selling other classifications enterely as a secondary power is a big deal, also if you think about it king crimsom is very strong compared to the average capes, hes basically a very strong cluster cape, tough hes still not as strong as the top capes like alexandria or The Siberian
>>
>>3731183
Alexandria's achilles heel is not something Danny and KC can exploit without a lot of difficulty, though Siberian is the classic "find the hidden Stand user while delaying the invincible and absurdly powerful Stand" scenario that KC could solve after some panic and testing things.

I would say KC's bane would be Shakers due to mass AoE effects that Danny might not escape in time or survive, Strangers that might get to Danny without Epitaph spotting them or through completely unexpected avenues of assassination like poisoning Danny so his fate is sealed, Blasters that outrange KC and snipe Danny without ever being close to them, Mover assassins and enemy enablers, or some Tinker specializations with tech that hard counters KC or does other fucked OP bullshit because FUCKING TINKERS REEEEEEEEEEEE
>>
>>3731223
Danny ought to be fine if we play things smart.
We can probably fuck up most people.
Isn't Kingu Crimson like FTL by how it fucked up Silver Chariot (which once deflected fucking actual beams of light)?
>>
>>3731256
Danny should be fine since he doesn't have an alien space parasite making him go full retard whenever possible like 90% of all parahumans. He has a genuine Italian mob boss prog rock spirit fighter instead
>>
>>3730895

>>
>>3731345
There might be capes with powers that might indirectly affect KC though.
WAIT A FUCKING SEC
ONCE KC KNOWLEDGE IS OBTAINED BY A SHARD, IT WILL BE TRANSMITTED TO SCION AND SPREAD TO ALL OTHER SHARDS THRU THE CENTRAL HUB LINK
THERE COULD BE STAND-GRANTING MASTER POWER SHARDS CREATED FROM THEN ON, A REAL GAME CHANGER ALL THANKS TO KC EXISTING

FUCK
>>
>>3731353
Jesus, calm down autismo.

Besides, they sort of need the arrow anyway.
>>3731344
Fuck Shards.
I wonder if Cauldron would attempt to contact Danny if they realised KC isn't a shard power at all.
>>
>>3731367
Cauldron would definitively contact Danny if they knew what King Crimsom is, he would atleast be part of the Cauldron extreme deviants group , for those that don't know or don't remember it, it was the group cauldron was preparing to fight scion, this group included capes whose powers have very few or nearly zero restrictions on their power due to some fluke like Eidolon or due to extreme Bizarre circumstances, this included people like one guy that appeared to be made of static lasers, one that was constantly crying worms/sludge and the guy that the number man fought in his interlude, also should i still spoiler parts from the post or just leave it bare?
>>
>See if you can go deeper into his memories
Might as well. We should also consider educating him on what Stands are and how they differ from parahumans at some point in the fact near future.
>>
So, who should we target if we're re-establishing Passione?
Who would be decent recruits?
How much will we fuck with Coil?
>>
>>3731690
A) Rival bosses, street rabble that's too low quality to bother recruiting, officials we can't bribe, and so on.
B) Anyone who can potentially replace Kocaqi's narcotics division, first and foremost. We should also try to build up the smuggling and assassination divisions, except treat the assassins better this time around. We don't want another La Squadra episode.
C) I don't know enough about Worm to properly answer this question, but I'm gonna go ahead and guess "as much as we possibly can".
>>
>>3731690
>Who would be decent recruits?
Ex-members of Marquis's court that have managed to avoid recruitment by the other gangs, they'll be thought to get but experienced. Next is the untapped Black and Latino community, only the merchants recruit from them and they definitely ain't recruiting the better folk, after that we got the Dockworkers, who'll be desperate for work.
>>
>>3731699
Coil's ability is to simulate two timelines depending on his action and then autopilots on the one he deems favourable while keeping everything he learned from the other.
He's a powerful Thinker yet whether his power will account for IT JUST WORKS is an unknown.
It's possible that King Crimson will fucking ruin his perceived future by being as fucky as it is.
>>
Should we have Taylor join Passione?
>>
>>3731727
I want to say no for the secret identity shenanigans.
>>
>>3731729
We could just give them a food-related code name.
>>
So this is a thing in Worm
https://worm.fandom.com/wiki/Haven
Will we recruit some of their members by tempting them with our knowledge on souls? Do they secretly have stand users masquerading as capes? Will they be our nemesis when we start hunting for the Arrow/Heaven stand? Is an alternate Pucci supporting or in the group?
>>
>>3731727
>>3731729
That'll be a tough decision, because if Danny ignores Taylor she'll go through with the Lung attack and meet the Undersiders and begin the canon events. Then again, having Danny (as whatever cape name he uses) fight Taylor (as Skitter) and both of them realizing who the other is would be a top tier kino moment, so I'm more inclined to go with that.

>>3731791
Moscato d'Asti is a type of sparkling white wine made in northwest Italy. Mosca is Italian for "fly". Potential name, but whatever new cape name Taylor gets (once things are discovered and stuff is worked out) should be food-related and bug-related at the same time. Kind of an odd conundrum.

>>3731800
>those sources and notes
Interesting. So they're all about going all-in on a cause, with theirs being religion? They're kinda lawful too, so they might not exactly mesh well with Danny and KC. Something else stuck out to me when reading that stuff:
>Wildbow: It's worth stating that one of the underlying ideas driving the formation of groups and ideological factions in the Wormverse is the notion that some people get a voice where they otherwise wouldn't. Give an immense amount of power to a (relatively) random section of the population and you'll see certain shifts in the overlying sentiments.
>All the more so when you think that a parahuman with aspirations might latch on to an idea, concept, or group to get reputation, resources, and contacts.
This is a cool concept to explore, I guess.
>>
Looking up more info on the Dockworkers thing and found this.
>ghostofthefallen: Danny is the spokesperson and head of hiring at the Dockworker's Association but I assume that means he has a boss, is there any more information about that or where Danny position is in the work hierarchy? Also how well known would he be to the PRT leadership?
>Wildbow: Basically it's a voluntary position, member of an organization (Docks' general labor union) that defends & protects the interests of the organization. That includes negotiating & enforcing the deals made & standards held, ensuring to some degree that things are in compliance with laws (doesn't mean he's a lawyer- just that he's well versed in the law for matters like this - probably has some lawyers on tap), he'll stand by union members when issues arise, makes sure everyone's on the same page about changes, what the rules are, expectations, etc, and pushes the union's values.
>It's a high-stress position. Heavy communication with often stubborn people (both on his side & otherwise)- he's not the union leadership but the link between them & the union member and between the union & the potential employers. In a situation like Brockton Bay's, he's basically playing a part in ensuring that people get a fair shake, favoring seniority and fair employee laws in a situation where it'd be very easy for things to slip into a 'lowest bidder, shittiest employee, shitty employment treatment with high turnover' situation. It very much requires ensuring that people don't flake off or try to cut in front of the lines, so to speak.
>It also means he's the first person to be yelled at when there's no jobs to be had as people stick with the union.

>Reyemile: So if it's a voluntary position, what's he doing to earn money?
>Wildbow: Voluntary not in the 'volunteer work' but in the 'nominate yourself' sense. [Edit with afterthought: it’s worth stressing he could be supplanted if the association thought he was doing a bad job and someone else wanted to step up.]
>Union collects membership dues (part of the yelling-at), he gets paid for helping and he's a member of the organization himself, so he does work as well (more yelling-at if he's deemed to favor himself or his friends)

Sounds like Danny has quite the pile of shit to deal with when it comes to work, but at least the workers might hold him in high regard if not feel some significant measure of loyalty to him.

Depends.

Can the path predict epitaphs future and our changed actions in that new future? If it can see what coil would do, then the answer is... probably.

But if you want to to go on the metaphorical... theres a chance. The ability to take ones fate into ones hands, to skip the steps necessary and arrive at the result. Can the result of king crimson overcome the absolute fate of the path of victory? Can that stand rebel against fate, as gold experience requiem did?
>>
>>3734135
Coil is just simulating events and then following one path though.
King Crimson fucks the future up.
>>
>>3734135
Here's a thread about Path of victory:

it says there that she could trump over Fate/probability manipulators but would lose to methaphisical stuff so Danny would lose but idk how King Crimsom would fare
>>
>>3734335
>>3734135
God, I fucking hate Path to Victory as a power. It's the Gold Experience Requiem of Wormverse, and I have no doubt KC will make the same comparison in-quest when/if we ever are misfortunate enough to run across Contessa in the flesh. At least with GER, Giorno can still be killed outright or poisoned (if he doesn't pull a Purple Haze v Man in the Mirror serum snake trick again) or various other things to delay, distract, or deter him from doing shit. He's human after all. PtV, on the other hand, effectively makes Contessa immortal and unstoppable as long as she follows the steps her power tells her. It's fucking bullshit on a whole other level and thinking about it pisses me off.

>>3733914
I hope you can run today, STANDO. I look forward to if you can keep all the people in-character like they would behave in canon and not flanderize or fuck them up like most retarded fanfictions and a few other quests have done.

>>3734307
I feel that when that certain encounter happens or even prior to meeting him proper, Coil's timelines will noticeably desync and one will always be ahead of the other. I wonder how shocked he'll be at that.
>>
>>3734362
It's ok. Since King Crimson has no connection to Zion/the shards/earth bet he can't be calculated in the worldwide simulation PTV is always making. Meaning King Crimson himself should be a blind spot. She can at most try to model him AFTER getting sufficient information, and good fucking luck with that.
>>
>>3734135
I hope we get to see Coil’s reaction
I don’t know anything about the background of this quest but from this thread it sounds like they have a bs power
>>
>>3734386
HOW
DOES
IT
WORK?
So King Crimson could donut Contessa as she wouldn't be warned of his existence by her power?
>>
>>3734386
King Crimsom should in teory be a blind spot due to him being an stand, Ptv can detect and plan against abstrract entities, but KC is a stand, basically a part of someone's soul and its explicitely stated that souls don't really come up in worm, contessa shouldn't be capable of winning in a direct fight against us but if she sics other capes on us or prepares a trap that affects various types of energy? she could defeat us
>>3734362
It's been stated that PtV is basically a power with no limitations at all so it's not surprising that it's such bullshit
>>
>>3734396
>>3734399
Oh thank fuck the blind spot plot-armor exists. I forgot that Contessa was unable to read Endbringers (because Wildbow's unstoppable suffering spreading kaijus), Scion (the big guy himself), and certain Trumps like Mantellum whose power explicitly fucks over any and all Thinkers
>>
>>3734390
Coil's power is simple. He branches the timeline into two, actively participates in one and simulates the other, keeping all memories and information from both. If the one he's participating in is the optimal of the two, he cuts off the other timeline. If the one he's not in is the optimal of the two, he shunts himself over to that version of himself over there and kills off the timeline he just left.

I have some news for SQR proper as well, in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY1OmUNlFv4 the editor of BNHA says that the next arc is going to be off the rails and include several big reveals. Since the MLA arc is going to end in 1-2 chapters meaning we could have new lore in time for the main quest's return.
>>
>>3734415
>he shunts himself over to that version of himself over there and kills off the timeline he just left.
So how the fuck do we kill him?
>>
>>3734858
Iirc his power actually simulates two timelines and he picks one to follow on Autopilot
Kekke dake da might fuck him up.
>>
>>3734858
He only has two timelines. This means if we get him into a situation where he is in the same place in both timelines and put him in checkmate. This will be difficult since he almost never does that and just opts to sit in a safe place in one and get risky with the other.
>>
>>3734858

Easy. Maneuver him into a direct confrontation, use Epitaph to read his move, and then kill him. Regardless of the timeline he picks, if the response is always "course of action perfectly predicted, murder follows", then it doesn't matter what his options are. They all lead to the same conclusion.

Alternatively, spook him significantly with King Crimson's time skips, to the point where he feels either his power is unreliable against us and stops using it, or gets freaked out and makes a panic move. At this point, see option 1.

Attempt to dive deeper into his memories
>>
>>3734952

Going through the haze of anger that has captured your host and by extension his soul is a lot easier than you'd expect it to be. Perhaps it is the mental interference that anger causes which lets you slip by his defenses and into his memories. The most likely explanation you have for this is that you have bonded with your host, and are now technically part of his soul, which means that it no longer pegs you as a 'foreigner'. In your studies of the metaphysical, you have come to realize that the Soul has an immune system much like that of an animal's.

Putting your musings aside, you soon come across a selection of three memories that appear before you. Each of them is marked with a specific date, and seem to feel different.

Which memory do you delve into?

Hmmmm. Taylor's birthday was June 19th, 1995, so it's nothing here. Summer 1992 doesn't correspond to any event I know of, though it could be when Danny met Annette after she left Lustrum's gang and was in college at the time. Fall 2008 is Annette's death. Winter 1971 is from before Scion arrives on the planet at 1982, and also doesn't correspond to any other event except maybe Danny's birthday or a childhood memory? He is somewhere in his 40s during canon Worm, so it would be close.

My vote is

in canon he was defeated in a very mundane way desu, one character made that one of his backup plans, namely a powerful and very unstable cape was constantly anoyed, basically stressing him further that he was already, while in the background shiponing his funds so he couldn't pay his mercs, then buying them offering double pay and making sure he used his power just before revealing that most of his mercs weren't loyal to him anymore in the end no matter how cheat-like his power was he was still human, made mistakes and paid for it

Fair enough. I look forward to how crazy this gets and canon characters' reactions. Danny is definitely a man closer to Diavolo like Izuku is to Doppio, but there's much more to him that makes him different. As long as you avoid flanderizing people and remember various things exist out there in Earth Bet, things should be fine. Very fine.

Out of the three, one of the memories draws you closer. The air turns frigid as you approach it, its name echoing throughout your being. 'December of 1971'. You carefully place your hand over it, feeling the warmth and nostalgia that comes from it.

Satisfied, you push your hand into its surface, slowly sinking into it until you are completely consumed by the memory. Your vision turns white for but a moment, before you find yourself in a house much like the one your Host currently lives in. There's a Christmas tree in the corner, decorated with ornaments, candy canes and small angels. There are a multitude of presents at the bottom of it. A woman walks into your vision, dressed in a blouse that was common in your childhood.

You hear the pattering of small feet in little shoes, and soon the woman embraces what you recognize to be your host at a much younger age. Here, he cannot be older than two years old, and already he seems to be quite energetic. The door opens, and in comes a man who was broad shouldered and tall. His head was bald, and he had a truly gigantic beard. Dressed in the attire of a common dockworker, he closes the door behinds him and embraces his wife, before he picks up his excited child, laughing animatedly as your host giggled.

The memory ends, and by the time you exit from the deeper recesses of your Host's consciousness, so has his rage. Daniel Hebert is sitting in a couch, nursing a bottle of beer in his hand.

What will you do?

"I shall explain the power that you now have at your fingertips." You begin without warning, startling your Host, who seems to be busy brooding over his bottle of beer. Or busy being drunk, but that does not matter.

"My power is to be above fate, for I am able to eradicate time. Only the results will matter with my power." You say, much to the consternation of your Host who appears to have a headache.

"But whad if they hab a sword or somethin'." He slurs, slumping into his couch at an angle that only a drunk would find acceptable. Without another word your hand lashes out like a whip, reducing a wooden chair into splinters.

"H-Hey..." Your Host mutters, indignation forming on his face before his eyes close. He begins to snore. Your host is younger than you, and yet still manages to disgust you with his age. Then again, he could be drunk, but you do not know a man who would lose his mettle after drinking a single bottle of wine.

Picking up the bottle, you examine it. "Bo Jack's Hard Alcohol". It was whiskey. A very strong bottle of whiskey that is almost empty. Pathetic.

Now that your host is resting, what shall you do?

You begin to idly clean up after your Host, picking up the bottle and half emptied bags of chips and other junk foods, tossing them into the garbage. While you do this, you also make sure to properly adjust your Host's body so that he sits in a more dignified position. You have no doubts that there are individuals who are interested in your Host, now that you reside within him, and that they'd do anything to undermine his and by extension your authority. This more dignified pose also prevents your Host from getting any further injuries to his back.

After all, your Host must be in a relatively good shape for him to run Passione, once you've convinced him to give up on this shithole of a city. In all of your years, you'd never thought that you, Diavolo would be reduced to this. Cleaning up the trash of a person four years younger than you, who still acts and looks much older than you. If only your fucking cunt of a daughter hadn't been born. If only Bruno gave you that fucking arrow.

If only Giorno hadn't joined Passione. There are many regrets you have in that world, but now you are in a new one. Free of the hands of fate which strangled you at the last minute. Only the results matter, and you will reach the truth this time.

Your Host is still asleep

Search for a computer in the room and perform research
>>
>>3738306

You decide to allow your Host to rest through the rest of the night, for there is nothing for you to gain by awakening him at such an ungodly hour. He needs to rest for you to use him at his full potential. In the meantime, it would do well for you to perform some further research into this interesting world that you have found yourself in.

You find your Host's laptop on the coffee table next to the couch, a thick unwieldy thing that is similar to your own. You open it, typing in your Host's password as you begin to browse online. Searching up the word 'cape', the search network of this world brings up over 90,432,149 results. You begin to search through it with your unworldly precision and accuracy, eventually narrowing it down to four choices in the span of 5 hours.

Which do you go to?

>>
>>3739504
Same as in canon where Madison is spared, since I remember she was the least bad one, but she should still get a La Squadra tier punishment to be an eternal reminder. However, Danny should donut Sophia after driving in that it's all her faul, then throw her to the rats (prey animals) to get eaten alive. This is maximum fitting too since Sophia a.k.a. Shadow Stalker is all about muh social darwinism and muh predator/prey dichotomy, and King Crimson is the apex predator. Emma could be driven to suicide like in canon too, maybe?
>>
>>3739526
That's uh
Pretty fucking brutal.
But sure why not.
Sophia deserves to die.
>>
>>3739504

Madison isn't worth considering, and the eternal panic of having death-by-cape hovering over her is probably more efficient than anything we'd be willing to go out of our way to do.

Emma gets a pass as a favor to Alan, long-standing friendship and all that.

Sophia has to go. Probably wise to invest in a taser or some christmas lights and a portable battery to incapacitate and/or hold her hostage, then get her some concrete shoes and a donut hole to ensure the blood loss in the salty seawater will do her in if the shoes don't.

No need to go overboard with anything *too* elaborate. Maybe plant some evidence suggesting it was a nazi thing when we get rid of Sophia, so that they'll never trace it back to us. That way the PRT will go on a nazi hunting spree, eliminating one out of three factions we'll have to get rid of. Two birds, one delicious revenge-fueled stone.

Quick rundown on capes
>>
>>3740500

You click the tab, opening a page that most resembles that of a Wikipedia. Within a few short clicks, you now have vital information when it comes to dealing with the capes of this land. For one, there is an utterly retarded set of rules called the 'Unwritten Rules', where these capes are allowed to have separate identities. The site explains it as a way to ensure that mutually assured destruction does not occur. The enemy cape would not be able to go after whatever family you have if you kill them.

You could use these 'Unwritten Rules' to your own advantage if you wanted to. The fact that a vast majority of all capes wear masks and adopt personas also originates within the 'Unwritten Rules' and general Superhero culture.

The origin of capes is a topic that is highly controversial. There is the popular theory that they somehow manifested after an Alien landed somewhere on Earth. However, most tend to agree that capes started appearing after Scion, the first cape appeared on May 20th, 1982. Generally speaking, these capes are commonly categorized using the PRT or Parahuman Response Taskforce's system, consisting of twelve different categories. A cape can have multiple classifications.

The twelve categories consist of Movers who have abilities that enhance their mobility, Shakers, whose abilities have an area of effect, Brutes, who have enhanced durability, enhanced strength or a combination of both. Then there are the Breakers, who can shift into different states, Masters who are able to control or create minions, Tinkers who specialize in creating or modifying advanced and futuristic technology, Blasters who have a ranged offensive ability, Changers who can alter their form or appearance, Trumps who are capable of manipulating powers themselves and finally Strangers who are perhaps the most insidious of them all, for their powers focus on stealth or infiltration.

This system of categorization fascinates you, for Humanity has managed to categorize a vast array of powers, some of which could be more powerful than the stands of your native world. Except for you. You could probably take on every cape except for Scion, who seems to be nigh invulnerable.

Satisfied with your search, you close your Host's laptop, receding into his form to rest.

There is more to be found in this curious new world of yours.
