Cover-art kindly provided by our noble artiste, Draw-anon, who generously took time off repainting the Sistine Chapel for us. Look upon our prettyboy protagonist. Look upon his devilish smile and despair.

STOP!
IT’S NON-CANON TIME!

In last thread’s episode of I Can’t Believe My Waifu Is This Sparkly, you acquired a Hooded Justice Nerd who’s also an assassin. You also just got engaged to Akainu’s daughter, because reasons. Oh, and kidnapped her. It’s okay, she’s into it.
Despite all these wondrous (aka stupid) happenings, the nefarious Whitemoustache pirate Teach has somehow sneaked onto your boat (and probably emptied the galley, judging by that stomach). What now, brown cow?!
Oh, and the mysterious Vice-Admiral Klaus is sailing somewhere nearby...

>A QUICK RECAP OF THE PREVIOUS POST...

You point at him, expression stubborn. "I'm not going to Whitebeard! I refuse!"

"Nah, I'm just gonna kill ya."

Hardening your will hardens your blade in turn - ignoring his fist, you let your will blaze down the sword and force it forward with all your strength.

It doesn't cut through; guy's as strong-willed as he is unhygienic - but you feel his Haki shatter where your edge presses in, and the softer flesh underneath as the blade sinks in. Not deep enough for bone, but the sudden drizzle of blood tells you you've cut deep.

Pirate dude howls in shock, attack aborted as he jerks back, away from your DARK SLICE OF DARKNESS. "You broke through?!"

HERE BE SOME BRATS' OPINIONS OF THE HANDSOME AND DASHING HARRY FLASHMAN AKA 'BRAINBREAKER'
still to come are the White Mist's crew, Lawless' crew, some other pirates, some other Marines, and probably some other people I can't remember because they're back in my notebook. Huzzah!
_____________
Luffy - The guy who beat up Zoro and stole his sword! Then he got Ace caught... Zoro says he's not a bad guy, but I don't like him.

Zolo - Needs to focus on his swords. Still good with them, though his disguise skills need work... made a good choice for my rival. Really helped us out with Merry too, hope he loosens up those Marine ideals a little, even if he's kind of a ditz. And stupid curly-brow needs to stop wasting his time with cooking, Flashman's way too easily distrac- Wait. What's with this bounty poster...?!

Nami - That jerk arrested me! I mean, okay, I was picking his pocket, but still! And handcuffing me to Sanji? Way out of line! At least he knocked Zoro down a peg... What a scary guy... good thing Zoro's laid claim to him, I have every excuse to run if he turns up.

Usopp - I think I still have a concussion... (shudder) So terrifying; so, so terrifying... n-not that the great Captain Usopp is ever afraid! But Zoro's calling him his rival, s-so obviously I can't fight him. Teamwork!

Sanji - On the one hand, he arrested my Nami-swan - but on the other hand, he arrested the shitty mosshead, and he's probably the one who got him stuck with the wrong name. Hilarious as that is, even I feel bad about mosshead losing his sword. He really seems to optimistic about getting it back, when the Marine's probably sold it or something by now... I dunno, he's strong, but I guess he's probably some corrupt asshole. Way too black and white, but that's just how a lot of Marines are.

Chopper - S-scary! Way too strong! Who could beat up Zoro?!

Vivi - I haven't seen much of him, but a man who defeated Mr Swo- Zoro; I'd certainly consider him talented and dangerous. He doesn't seem to be actively malicious, though, so if worst comes to worst, it's probably best to surrender and just wait for rescue.

Carue - Quack... quack quackquack! Quack quack. Quack qua-quack quack.

Kohza - I wouldn't mind testing my blade against him, even if Roronoa wants first chance, although my Logia would tilt things unfairly. A competent man, apparently, and a cunning one.

Robin - I hope I don't regret letting his disguise hold... especially now he holds such a Devil Fruit, he's likely too strong for us. If only aid killed him back when we were alone - still, he seems willing to pay off the debt he owes me, so it's best to save it for something valuable. His relationship with Mr Bushido seems ridiculous though; I've heard of Marine-pirate rivalries before, but this isn't how they usually work. He seemed quite attached to Flashman in his 'Arthur' persona too, hopefully it won't cause problems for Mr Bushido or Mr Reindeer if the truth of his identity comes out.

Merry - :)d

You actually have to force yourself not to give a tiny shriek of manly glee.

The long blade seems to absorb light, cold in your grip as it forms out in a smooth, billowing wave, faint streaks of purple becoming the pure black of the rest of it.

From behind you and to the left, Masa cheers, as Fatman is blown backwards - not far enough to be thrown overboard, but enough to send him slamming backwards across the deck, past a confused Captain Stefan, whirling head over feet as he finally hits the deck (literally) and rolls to a violent halt.

He shoves himself upright, unsteady, within instants, even though one arm hangs limp. His face is a mask of sheer fury. "You - I was trying to make it quick, brat," he bites out, uninjured hand clenching, "but forget that! That Devil Fruit is MINE!"

His entire body flicks black in an instant, as black as your TORTURED SOUL - and he erupts towards

>65 but who cares when CAPTAIN STEFAN IS HERE

The needles slam into Fatbeard's corpulent body like he slams back twenty courses of calorie-laden foods in a single sitting. Which is to say, violently, and with a distinct lack of regard as to his health or comfort.

While the needles pierce, sending drops of blood flying, he doesn't seem overly concerned - the trouble with obese opponents is that they have a lot of natural padding.

You're lunging, desperately trying to reach the pair - but there's no need.

Stefan - that handsome, magnificent fighter, and lover of bitches - is there. Mouth open and fangs bared in a furious snarl, he hurls himself at Fatbeard's back with a threatening, "BORF!"

That's another thing about obese opponents. They're very easy targets.

Fatbeard's hand is just reaching for your horrified koala-pretzel's neck, when a full set of doggy-teeth latch onto Fatbeard's ass like... well, there's no suitable description here. Nothing has ever willingly touched his ass.

Fatbeard freezes, raised arm shaking, one eye twitching, as Masa shoves her hand into another pocket.

"Gwowf," Stefan threatens, somewhat muffled.

Somewhere behind you, there's a loud splash, but you ignore that for now, as your apricot-chandelier pulls out more needles - and as Fatbeard regains his senses, she lashes out -

"SENBONVOYAGE!"

Your heroic Captain is latched on to the pirate's ass (there's a sentence you never thought you'd use), and your ergonomic-cephalopod is only too quick to take advantage - more than dozen needles are slung at the distracted fatso, aimed at his rather than the soft padding of his torso.

You can't see them hit from your angle as you linger towards him, but his sudden shriek of agony, falling back and clutching at his face shows you what's happened.

Stefan happily released his hold and bounces away, even as your attacker claws at the - ouch. Several needles sticking out of one eye, the other closed in pain and fury.

Viscous fluid and blood drizzles from one of Fatso's now closed eyes, as he yanks the thin needles from their pin-cushion. Fatso's hand reaches out - as does your BLADE OF DARKNESS, as you finally get within range. It slices down, deep through bone (and about twenty-million layers of fat), carving clean through like a cold knife through a really fat dude.

Blood spurts in a sudden and vivid spray, spraying almost wildly as it pulses from severed veins.

Your prehistoric-honeycake yelps as she dodges the spray, while you flick the BLADE OF DARKNESS free of blood. Mot that any sticks to the masamune, but it looks cooler. "Sweetie, throw Hood-o a rope!"

"Right!"

You nearly swoon again at your magnificent fiancée's dedication, as she dashes towards the railing that Hood-o must have gone over. Somehow. What a guy.

Fatso swings around, but with one broken arm, one missing one (and rapidly bleeding out), and a blinded eye, he isn't doing all that well, teeth bared in a rictus snarl.

"I just said he'd surrendering?"

"So?" Aww, she looks so adorably confused, as Hood-o appears over the railing. How cutely bloodthirsty.

"STOP THE BLEEDING!!" Man, fatso sounds angry. So rude, here you are, trying to help and all.

You give a vague wave of your swords. "Right, sure. How do I do that?"

"With fire."

Wait. You blink, then turn to look up at the roof of the ship's internal areas, where... Firefist Ace stands, expression serious.

When the crap did he get here? Sure he can do his fire-flight thing, but...

Hood-o scrambles backwards as your furious angel of death storms towards him, though you quickly intercede. "Wait, wait! Darling, we need you to call that other ship. There should be a den den here, do you think you can get the number for that one?"

"Oh, I already know it!" She beams happily at you, her green eyes sparkling like scarlet sapphires. "That's Vice-Admiral Klaus' flagship!"

Gosh. How entirely unexpected!

Your name is Sakazuki Masayoshi, previously a Marine and now the heroine of a romance novel.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Your f-f-fiance (aah!) is a pret- handsome and charming pirate (aaaaaahh!!) with an adorable do- Captain. And a tragic backstory!

This is the best thing to happen in the history of ever. Okay, daddy isn't going to be very happy when he finds out, but to yours sure that once he understands your fiance (aaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!) is a dashing rogue rather than a relentless psycho, he'll be understanding, and delighted to give you away at the wedding.

Oh, and you're being hunted down by Sword Saint Klaus, and you have the Phantom on board for some reason. And there's a couple of Whitebeard pirates. You don't have a complete grasp on what a going on yet, but you do know that you've ended up in the middle of an epic romance, and by golly gee, you're going to roll up your sleeves and make sure you only swoon dramatically at appropriate moments (and after killing a load of the bad pirates, obviously)!

Right now, you're dragging your prett- HANDSOME, you meant handsome - fiance (aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!) through the bowels of the stolen vessel, looking for a place to make ou- looking for the den den. Yes. That's right.

>74 this woman has actual competence

Because daddy didn't raise no child-with-an-inability-to-direct-themselves-around-a-pirate-ship, it doesn't take long to drag- escort your husbando in the direction of the small terrarium on board where many pirates or merchants keep their den dens between calls.

"BEHOLD!" You tug open the door to what you recognise as a specially warmed cupboard, and the glass case within. A den den peeks up at you, confused by this strange new person. "OUR SAVIOR!"

Your sexy husbando fist-pumps. "Praise the snail!"

"Praise the snail!"

The den den tries to hide. But there's no escape from you, and your future marriage! You snatch the panicking snail from its enclosure, and start dialling immediately.

Within instant, the call is answered by a rushed voice. "Apologies, were about to go into battle. Please call late-"

>Hold it right there, bucko! This is Ensign Sakazuki Masayoshi of Cog Town base, and I've already captured this Whitebeard ship!

OH NO THEY WON'T! "You break my ship, I break your skull !@#$-boy!!" You snarl down the line, hands tightening on the trembling den den and receiver. At the shocked squeak from your husbando, you remember your Nice Voice. "Oh! Sorry about that! I've already captured the ship you're chasing. Ensign Sakazuki reporting."

"Riiiiiight..." the Marine intones, den den eyeing you warily. "I'll just, uh... inform the Vice-Admiral. Please hold."

A brief click, and the den den starts bopping along to some warbly hold-music.

Harry-sweetie gives you a thumbs up and mouths 'Good job!' at you. Kyaaaaaa~~!!

Moments later, the hold stops as a different voice comes on. Casual - commanding - and with fantastic hair. Yes, even the voice has fantastic hair. Incredible.

"Ensign Sakazuki?"

>sherlock holmes: the investigating

This could be trouble. "Let's go kil- ah, see what's happening!" Please be an excuse to kill Fatso. Please be an excuse to kill Fatso.

"It kind of sounds dangerous," your glossy-haired Pomeranian of love comments. "Maybe you should stay here and -" He notices your flat expression. "- never mind, let's go!"

The pair of you trundle back out and upwards, towards the yelling and thumping, and - yes, as you emerge on deck, it's clear that Fatso's managed to gain Firefist's ire. The latter is clearly hesitant to do the sensible thing and throw a fireball at the dickweasel, who's managed to get the Phantom (seriously, why is he HERE?) with a knife to the panicked assassin's throat.

"Get the lifeboat down for me, and this guy doesn't die," Fatso is currently threatening a worried-looking Firefist, who really should just set both of them on fire.

"Hood-o!" Your husbando's cry of horror reminds you that you should probably be hoping for the assassin to live. Or something.

>Firefist, get the lifeboat down. Let's just get rid of him. (You can kill him more easily then.)

And that's when you ship out a handful of needles and send a half dozen flying across the deck. One misses. Two land in Fatso's shoulder. Two more in his neck, one slamming straight into his jugular and sending him choking, feeling back and grabbing for his throat, dropping the knife.

The final needle lands in a shrieking Phantom's shoulder, but oh well.

"HOLY CRAP," says your husbando, undoubtedly aroused by your skill, as Fatso staggers several steps and then collapses, bubbling blood oozing around the needle impaling him.

"TEACH!" You don't know why Firefist yelled that. The guy don't be teaching anyone anything except how to die.

"Borf," Stefan adds. He's a good Captain.

"... Let's kidnap the Vice-Admiral and have him marry us." And then, as you process this, and the Vice-Admiral's ship continues to approach, he sweeps you into a kiss. A kiss with lips, and tongue, and faces squishing together kissily. Your heart pounds like an officer pounds on the door of a suspected drug-den while announcing their warrant.

There are sparkles. And maybe his hand on your ass. But mostly sparkles.

Somewhere in the distance, Firefist is searing and the Phantom is insisting he's dying from the needle in his shoulder, but here and now... there is saliva-swapping.

You swoon into your husbando's arms, a true heroine of this romantic adventure, tongue-wrestling with gusto.

"OKAY, SERIOUSLY," comes a voice from the Vice-Admiral's ship, sounding pained through the megaphone. "NO-ONE NEEDS TO SEE THAT, PLEASE STOP NOW."

This is a terrible situation. The Vice-Admiral can obviously see what's happening on deck. One pirate is dead (actually, that's good), but your husbando probably won't let you kill the other one or the Phantom.

There's only one hope for you now.

Breaking off the kiss (he's still groping your ass... kyaaaa~!) you stare up into his pret- handsome eyes. "What do we do now?!"

He looks down at you, from beneath those pret- handsome lashes, and says, with his pret- handsome mouth,

"Killing YOU, maybe. The rest of us don't have bounties," you snap, while your husbando's gaze ping-pongs between the two of you. "... Except for the Phantom."

"Still dying, here," the Phantom sullenly reminds everyone, still not dying.

Firefist has paused though, frowning. "You're right. So there's only one choice."

You brighten. "You have to sacrifice yourself to save us all! Except Phantom."

The assassin sulks harder.

"Nah." Firefist straightens, face turning determined. "I'm taking you all prisoner instead!"

Your name is husba- no, Silvers Harry. And shit ain't lookin' good. While Fatso is dead (good?), you're currently about to come under assault by some hot-shot bad-ass Marine, because you somehow completely forgot his ship was still approaching while you were coming up with a cunning plan to trick him.

So that didn't work out very well. Hm. And now Firefist is planning on fake-kidnapping you and the rest of the Captain's crew, to rescue you. Somehow.

"Hold up," you tell your pumpkin-snickerdoodle as she starts drawing more needles. "I think we can make this work."

"Yeah, I'll just hold Silvers here 'hostage', and as a good Marine, you'll have to let me escape with him," Firefist enthusiastically explains. "Then you can make some crap up for the Vice-Admiral, and catch up with us later! And, uh, I'll take this weird guy too, I guess."

Hood-o slumps down even further, angst radiating out in waves.

You beloved pigeon-cucumber looks between you and the Whitebeard Pirate. "Well... I guess if everyone's okay with it..."

Hood-o pipes up. "Do I get a say?"

"No."
"Nah."
"Shut up."

He shrugs, looking miserable. "It's not like I wanted him dead, but he tried to kill you, lied to me about it, and then - yeah, that was... not good."

"Soooo... not in any trouble?"

>Heeeeeeeeey apparently-dad, I'm marrying Akainu's daughter, okay, bye.
>Guess what? Red-Haired's guys totally lost me. They suck as protectors. You should stab them.

Ded quest.

Yeah, it's like one more update to end on something appropriately stupid, and then back to main quest. 6-day work-week has certainly not helped with update schedules or my tiredness, but I enjoy not being homeless, so meh. (Also I keep trying to write Masayoshi as a deranged yandere, so that hasn't helped.)

Update later, will try to get main thread up today but no guarantees. I'm also a lot more interested in writing Flashy than Silvers so that'll hopefully boost my speed!

>Also I keep trying to write Masayoshi as a deranged yandere
She's not a yandere until she's trying to kill any women interacting with her husbando, and locking up/threatening/torturing him "for his own good" if he tries to spend any time away from her.

Although being a such a massive Shoujo-genre romantic weeb might warp that into how she acts now...
>>
>>3780015
There’s varying degrees of yan, my dude. Right now she appears to be ‘anyone and anything besides my husbando simply doesn’t count as human unless it’s a direct superior in the Marines’.
>>
>>3779968
I haven't really seen any yan in her, mostly she just has romantic delusions because of her shoujo and the reason she hasn't really cared about anyone else is because they're either rotten stinking pirates or hood-o,and really, who ever cared about hood-o

Even captain stefan is confused as to why he's here
>>
>>3779968
She really comes off more like a space cadet archetype I feel; I still like her though.

Excuse me, he's Captain Stefan's favourite chew-toy.

>LE FINAL UPDATE OF THE SIDE QUEST

Ah, yes. You know exactly how to inform him about your new life events.

Ahem. "Heeeeeeeeey apparently-dad, I'm marrying Akainu's daughter, okay, bye."

"Wh-?"

CLICK.

You smile smugly at your conversational prowess, giving the den-den a grateful pat. "Yeah, I'm good." You should probably invite him to the wedding, or something. Maybe he could walk Masa-cutie down the aisle instead of her own (terrifying) father.

You take a moment to imagine Akainu making dad jokes, and shudder.

The den-den starts ringing, but you have no time for apparently-dad, or Firefist's crew, or whoever it is - you have a bright new future dawning! A future that takes you towards East Blue, and a life of piracy!

"Uh."

You turn around to look at Hood-o, who somehow radiates awkwardness despite basically every inch of their body being covered or swathed in shadow. "Yeah, new lackey?"

"Well, uh... I was just looking through the log-books and stuff up on deck, and... aren't we supposed to be going to Calliper Island?"

Yes. "Yes," you yes.

"Right. 'Cause we're not. That's in East Blue, and we're heading back to the Grand Line."

You stare at the slightly-hunched figure, barely comprehending. "Are you saying that the pirate who fake-kidnapped us... has actually kidnapped us?"

"Well, I mean, I actually came willingly rather than get arrested, sooo..."

THIS IS A TRAVESTY

If you can't trust your random criminal stalker whose dog you stole, who CAN you trust?! No-one! Except your waifu. And Captain Stefan. And apparently Hood-o. And probably your apparently-dad and his scary wife. So actually a few people.

BUT STILL.

You gaze dramatically at the wall, raising a clenched fist as you consider this shcokimg and completely unexpected betrayal by the guy who already tried to capture you earlier anyway. "Hood-o..." you say.

"Actually, my name's-"

"We are going to get JUSTICE."

"Aren't we criminals?"

"Shut up, Hood-o."

"Yessir."

THREAD END

Will you escape the fiery clutches of Firefist Ace before he drags you back to the Massive Dick or whatever it's called? Has your father had a heart attack? Will your waifu pick out lilacs or sunflowers for the wedding flowers? Is Hood-o's name or gender ever going to be revealed? Is Smoboss going to have a stroke in his sleep? Find out some other time when I need to read ahead because Harry Flashman feels an urge to brutally destroy canon!

Proper thread to be posted at approximately 4pm Britbong tomorrow, apologies for the terrible update schedule of this thread. Thanks for struggling through this one!

The fiend. The abs cannot be trusted. Only the opposite of abs can be trusted.

I mean, look at fatso, he was quite up front about wanting to murder us. What an honest guy.

Only fat people are honest, news at 10! You gotta pack on the pounds or become SCUM. Rollin' for waifu abs.

(On re-read, I also notice how terribly I misspelled 'shocking'. Thanks for the 'shcokimg' betrayal, autocorrupt.)
