You are Alberich: serial killer, familiar to two magi, and dubiously related to the gods. Despite having no biological parents, you've somehow wound up being considered the brother of two dangerously unstable girls, each unaware of the other's existence. On the night of Wednesday, November 13, 2019, you found yourself in a dimly lit stone basement, standing in the middle of a magic circle. You had been summoned as a Servant, a legendary warrior contracted after their death to fight alongside a magus for the Holy Grail, their existence sustained by the mystic energy of their summoner. In your case you were conned by Judas Iscariot into taking his place despite not being a legendary warrior, but that's neither here nor there at this point. The magic empowered you enough to fill the role, anyway. After spending a few days learning about the Holy Grail War and your surroundings, you and your Master, Jean-Pierre Vaisset, had your first skirmish with the enemy: a complete defeat. The enemy Servant outclassed you utterly, and the only reason you survived was that her Master ordered her to retreat once he'd killed Vaisset. With Vaisset dead and your supply of mystic energy cut off, you were prepared to fade into the aether when you discovered to your surprise that he'd prepared a backup plan to transfer his Command Spells to his sister in the event of his death. This transfer of authority was immediately followed by a physical transference, and you appeared in the girl's bedroom. Thus you found yourself breaking the news of her older brother's death to Shijou Ayaka, your new Master, in the middle of the night, only a few moments after you learned of it yourself. She took it surprisingly well, and since then many things have happened. You slew one Servant, grew stronger by his death, and fled from another. You learned the truth that you were never human, but an artificial hero created by Judas. You discovered that there were two other artificial heroes created like yourself, and that they were your old comrades. Most recently, you've been forced to the betray the first people you had considered allies in this Holy Grail War. To make matters worse, this betrayal ended in a stalemate, with you wounded and your new enemies beating a successful retreat. Today you're resting and recovering, spending a day without battle-planning in the company of the snow-white magus princess, Liliesviel von Einzbern. None of your experiences have changed your goal, however. Whether or not your life has been by the design of another, and regardless of who stands in your way, there is only one path before you. You must win the Holy Grail if you wish to survive. Four Servants remain to fall by your sword.Previous thread: >>3717488Suptg Archive:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=Sweets-Loving%20QMStatus Information:https://pastebin.com/qsKX4p5b
For a moment, you emulate the other patrons in staring, shocked and dumbfounded, at the girl whose cry has shattered Café Palmerston's relaxed atmosphere. As you look, though, she catches your eye; and once she's staring you full in the face her own questioning look turns into one of triumphant certainty. "I knew it, it is you," she exclaims, all vindicated gladness. "Yumigawa-kun, what happened? How did you come to be here?" Things are rapidly going from bad to worse, you surmise, and if you don't manage to shut this girl up somehow she'll say something that could ruin your burgeoning bond with Liliesviel permanently. The one fortunate thing about her continued speech is that there's no doubt of who she's referring to by "your" name. You won't have to explain why you reacted to it, at least."I believe that girl has managed to mistake me for someone, though I can't imagine how," you declare in a tone of amused befuddlement, looking back to Liliesviel and keeping the recognition out of your face. "I'm sorry to interrupt our outing, but I think she'll go on making a scene if I don't do something. Hold on a moment." With that, you get up from your table and stroll over to Truvietianne's, not giving Liliesviel the chance to protest."Miss, please restrain yourself," you say, leaning over the table to address Truvietianne quietly. "I appreciate that you're in some confusion, and that it involves me somehow, but, well; we are foreigners here, and this is a fine establishment. Surely there's an image to be kept up."She opens her mouth to snap an angry retort at you, then closes it. Glancing around, she seems to catch your point: every customer in the place is staring at you. Some are more discreet than others, examining the odd situation out of the corners of their eyes, while others boggle at you directly, but there's nobody who hasn't noticed the scene. Of course, half of them were staring at you and Liliesviel already. It isn't every day one sees people who look the way the Einzberns do, after all. All the same, Truvietianne's shout did a fine job of hooking the rest of the rubber necks. So it is in a furious hiss, rather than an irate shout, that Truvietianne replies, "What are you playing at, calling me Miss and acting as if we're strangers? Are you attempting to make a fool of me?""But we are strangers, Miss," you reply levelly, playing the part of the rational man calming a hysteric. "I don't recognize you, and I have never heard the name Yumigawa. Don't imagine from my fluency with the language that I know the locals here." With the calming done, you shift into a posture of incredulity to sell it, as you continue, "I mean, are you playing some kind of a joke on me? I can't resemble this Japanese fellow that much, surely."
Truvietianne looks at you hard, contemplating your appearance and muttering, half to you and half to yourself, "Well, your voice is different, and you're taller, but your face is identical." You can see she's half convinced, and in that moment you have a change of heart. At first, you'd only intended to chase the girl off, but now a new idea comes to mind. If you can get her on your side once more, Truvietianne and her family's resources could be quite useful to your cause."Identical? To my face?" You're laying it on thick, but you imagine anyone in the position you're pretending to be in really would be in an almost comical state of shock. "Well, you've certainly piqued my interest," you continue. "Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Alberich von Einzbern." It isn't the name you'd like to give to a magus, but with Liliesviel watching you can hardly give another; so you introduce yourself as her brother and give a small, courtly bow. "I'd love to discuss this matter with you further, but I'm here in Japan on business and this is the only day I've been able to take off, and my sister has a full one-day vacation planned out. Here's my name and number, though; give me a call tonight, and perhaps you can tell me more about this doppelganger of mine." With that, you take one of their napkins, pull a pen from your coat pocket, and write down, 'Truvietianne, (or Miss Edelfelt? Which did you prefer?) you have my identity right. I can't speak now. At 9:00pm tonight, meet me at 645 Yasuoka Ave, near Yoyogi, and we'll discuss.' Then, in much larger script, you add a random telephone number below the message.Truvietianne just stares for a moment, glancing from you to the note and back again, and generally looking utterly taken aback. While she's trying to decide how to react, though, her companion is more steady-minded. "What a marvelous coincidence," she coos, addressing you in German. "To think we would run across you here. My name is Luviagelita Edelfelt. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Herr von Einzbern; particularly as I believe we are in this unfortunate country on the same business.""Indeed?" You cock an eyebrow at this. Come to think of it, didn't Tohsaka mention another apprentice by the name of Luviagelita? If this is she, you may be in luck. "In that case, I believe we have much to discuss. Now, good day to the both of you." With that, you return to your own table. The Edelfelt pair, you notice, get up and leave a short time after you do, Luviagelita almost dragging Truvietianne from the place."Bizarre, don't you think," Lancer comments as soon as you're back in your seat. "A man with your face and a Japanese name; it's enough to make you wonder just how many amnesiac homunculi are wandering around the city!"
"Well, perhaps so," you reply, "or perhaps not. It may have merely been a pretext to make contact with me. You saw how they perked up at the name Einzbern. Liliesviel, do you recognize the name Edelfelt as belonging to a clan of magi?""No," she says offhandedly, "but that doesn't mean they aren't one. I don't bother to learn about all the Association small fry, you know. They're probably just some unimportant clan that missed their chance to join the War. More importantly, what are you going to eat? I think I'll try their french toast.""The same, I think; although one can't go wrong with a highly recommended restaurant you've never eaten at before. A café au lait, as well." For the time being, you can put the Edelfelts from your mind. They're more important than Liliesviel seems to think, but all the same they are a distraction. Today, you decided this morning, would be a day to rest; you intend to stick to that decision.Brunch, when it arrives, lives up to the café's reputation. The french toast is fried to perfection, managing to be simultaneously chewy and fluffy, and topped with an exquisite fruit compote. Liliesviel has whipped cream added to hers, but that level of sweetness is too much for you. Lancer has an enormous helping of eggs, hash, and sausage, with which he seems thoroughly satisfied; and the maids enjoy identical orders of eggs benedict. Finally, when everyone's sated themselves with Café Palmerston's delectable cuisine, Liliesviel says to you, "Where shall we go next, Alberich?">[ ] "Why don't we go and see a film? I'm kinda looking forward to our meeting with Truvi and Luvia.Should be real fun.Man, Yumigawa/Alberich really does bring out Truvi's tsun.
So now we've got a meeting with the Edelfelts set up.What should we lead with?"Surprise! >>3759657My name is Alberich. I'm 3 weeks old. My former house was a university in Caster's Reality Marble, and I am not married (though I hope to be married soon). I worked as a Master in the Inner Grail War organized by Caster, and I got home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke or drink. I was in bed by 11 PM, and I made sure that I got eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually had no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I woke up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I haven't had a check-up yet, but I'm confident that I have no issues. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who used to have a very quiet life. I now choose to trouble myself by destroying my enemies, winning great battles, and I often lose sleep at night. This is how I deal with the world, and I know that is what brings me happiness. And, if and when I decide to fight, I couldn’t lose to anyone.

I wonder if Truvi will take us up on our invite to talk.Luvia seemed affable enough so I'm not sure if she's talked to Rin yet.Maybe she has and just doesn't give a shit. She probably recognises that we're the only reason Truvi is still alive depending on how truthful she was in her retelling.Truvi certainly hasn't been informed, or if she has she's as dumb as a sack of potatoes. Well I guess we will have to see what happens at our meeting, she'll finally get to know the truth.
>>3760113>I wonder if Truvi will take us up on our invite to talk.> Luvia seemed affable enough so I'm not sure if she's talked to Rin yet.The question isn't if she will take our invitation or not. The question is will we run into an ambush or not, because giving them a time and place where we will be is just asking for an ambush if Luvia has talked with Rin.
>>3760325Yeah, they want to attack our house, they can feel fucking free. They will all die.No remorse, Sakura first.
>>3760325I doubt Truvi would be OK with ambushing us, though. Luvia shouldn't really either, considering we obviously have some important info about Akeldama. I also can't think of any reason for Truvi to come to Japan other than to find us/get closure.Luvia and Rin don't get along too well usually and Rin doesn't have a phone so contact that way is unlikely. I just feel an ambush is unlikely, especially considering that Truvi saw what happened the last time somebody ambushed us.Also, good luck setting up an ambush at our fucking house.
>>3760325If they attack our house we attack their house, plain and simple. The only difference will be the scale of the damage. Remember that Alberich mauled their main team. If they attack our base, we have Tsubaki, bounded fields, the spell that allows us to see everything inside the bounded field (the one Ayaka gave us), etc. Also, did we just gave our house adress to someone we know (IC) is an allie of the Emiyas? Why? Why not just point a random meeting point? It makes no sense.
>>3760446It's the god damn house of the Second Owner.Rin would already know anyway.
>>3760452Fuck, then we better find a new base or keep Tsubaki protected 24/7.
>>3760464They aren't likely to do anything like that just yet.
>>3759944Maybe if we took Berserker's Bravery instead of AoG then we might be able to.
>>3760590No, we could easily do it without Bravery.Servants are super strong.
>>3760594Sure. But it would have been even better if we had Bravery. It's the difference between running super fast and doing parkour super fast.
>>3760600Not really, no.Bravery only increases the damage, and a Servant with our strength woud put a hole in pretty much any non servant combatant anyway. The real benefit of bravery is the mental resistance it provides.
>>3760608Though we should get probably Bravery because our mind is a weak point right now, fucking Odin can just go in and teach us perfect German as he pleases.
>>3760637Bravery is only for conscious resistance
>>3760792What happens if we combine the mental resistance aspect of Bravery with the Physical resistance given to us by Conceptual Biology?
>>3760808Actually, would combining Bravery and Conceptual Biology even be possible?I mean, it could be fairly broken depending on your interpretation, no?It's basically adding one of the core concepts of heroism to a skill that signifies our existence as a conceptual being.
Would we have been able to beat Shirou if we had upgraded our armor?
>>3760962Also, how the hell did he survive that explosion that nearly killed us? We were much closer to it, sure, but he still wasn't that far away unless I misread something.
>>3760990Chalk it up to his body being made out of swords. Also the enhanced durability of his puppet body. Seriously though, we should mess with conceptual biology when we get the chance.
>Everyone talking about upgrades.Alberich: When I say MASS, you say...Orphans: SACRIFICE!!!
Now seriously, let's get some criminals and IN animals into the Not-Akeldama and get those juicy upgrades.
I wonder how the two Edelfelts will react to Truvi accidentally managing to somewhat befriend an actual modern day Hero.I think Alberich certainly would try to avoid killing her, even if she sometimes acts somewhat foolishly and is quick to anger when she thinks she's being made a fool of, she was a dependable ally in the Akeldama. Now that I think of it, Alberich himself has always had anger issues, even at the very beginning of his life, as Yumigawa Rushorou, he would get very irritated at being looked down on.Also, she's the first human that Alberich met in his life, which is worth something. Hmm. Should we tell her that?
>>3760836>Actually, would combining Bravery and Conceptual Biology even be possible?Doubtful. Conceptual Biology is just that: a biological system becoming conceptual. No matter what, it's still biology at the core.Bravery is a mental quality rather than a biological one, so it doesn't fit in the conceptual framework of our biology.>>3761436>Hmm. Should we tell her that?We might as well, if we're telling her the whole story.
>>3761512I wonder if we'll be able to raise her dere levels by telling her the truth. She did seem glad to see us. Perhaps her time spent recollecting and reflecting on the war and on Yumigawa's actions has done her some good.Alberich has had a hard life. He's only ever known war. Also I feel like Truvi has some sort of special status as the first human we met.
What do we do if Truvi refuses to be our ally?I certainly don't want to kill her.
>>3762672We have our foot in her door, but in that case we would have to assimilate the Edelfelts into the Einzbern family.Soon we will make our own Yggdmillenia family, with blackjack and hookers. actually forget the family and the blackjack
>>3762672Knock them out and use them for our human leyline project. Keeps them safely out of danger and from interfering with us.
>>3762676Well, they will have to think hard about opposing a Servant with a Caster on his side and 3 other Servants somewhere in Tokyo who would also be on his side.We are in quite a difficult situation what with the Emiyas opposing us out of fear of the possible corruption of the grail while we merely want to live. Also the Einzbern master thinks we are her brother and we really can't correct her as she's likely to have her Servant kill us.We've managed to convince Liliesviel not to go after the Emiyas for now though.
>>3762679Now I think that's just too cruel.I think the whole human leyline project should be kept to enemies or randoms.I can't imagine it's a pleasant experience, and I don't think Alberich is cruel enough to do that to Truvi.
>>3762679>>3762686>human>leylineHumans are people, and Leylines are the arteries of the World. So unless you want to dig down 150 feet and bury a million people, maybe a better name would be "human battery project".
>>3762709I think it's more of a "using humans to draw energy from leylines" plan.Regardless, it's not a very nice thing to do to Truvi. She likely came along with Luvia to seek us out.
>>3762717>using humans to draw energy from leylines...Oh.Circe and Tsubaki can do it directly but you do you, anon.>Regardless, it's not a very nice thing to do to Truvi.Of course. I oppose that on principle.>She likely came along with Luvia to seek us out.It looks like we can get a lot of Magi on our side very quickly. The Einzberns can be subjugated permanently if we neuter Acht and make Lily one of our subjects; Truvi can speak with the Edelfelts on our behalf (Luvia will have to be removed before she makes contact with Rin); the entire Sea of Estray will support us for the chance to talk to a former goddess of magic, because of their fetish for AoG magecraft.
>>3762725The issue with drawing directly is that it messes a lot of people up.Tsubaki can do it directly if she requires to, her elder brother cares about her far more than any number of random humans he doesn't know, but having a less indiscriminately damaging method is always more useful. Now, when you say "remove" I hope you don't mean kill Luvia.I'm not certain of Truvi's relation with Luvia (possible sister, what with Ore Scales) but killing Luvia isn't something that will go down well with Truvi.
>>3762728>The issue with drawing directly is that it messes a lot of people up.Remember that you can draw from a leyline by siphoning the excess. It's only when you reach inside that you start messing up people, because you're taking the magical energy they need.>Now, when you say "remove" I hope you don't mean kill Luvia. It may be necessary if Luvia sides with Rin and we don't have Circe on hand. Of course, brainwashing her will make problems as well.>I'm not certain of Truvi's relation with Luvia (possible sister, what with Ore Scales) but killing Luvia isn't something that will go down well with Truvi.I really don't want to.
>>3762731I don't know if killing Rin is necessary. The Emiyas might have to die eventually, but the stronger Alberich gets, the less threat they pose.Invincibility Armour should basically allow us to easily defeat them.Conceptual Biology EX and Saber's stuff (mass sacrifices to get the three things we want) in addition to that would mean they couldn't possibly beat us.Instinct + EotM(true) might fuse into a unique skill.Alberich feels bad enough about having to betray Emiya, he does respect the man.
>>3762731Oh, Tsubaki mentioned there's no excess. The greater grail is taking all the excess iirc. Also she's not as talented as Medea or Circe at magic.
>>3762763>Also she's not as talented as Medea or Circe at magic. But she is good enough to tap into leylines as needed, and she can improve if we push her consistently because she's still alive.
>>3762763>Oh, Tsubaki mentioned there's no excess.>The greater grail is taking all the excess iirc. But yes, here there is no excess to take.Setting up power plants is a long-term project.
>>3762771Of course.Though motivating her to improve might take a while. We need to do more things together with her.Perhaps we can have her learn the magecraft of families that refuse to kneel to us and subsequently disappear.Hmm, I wonder if the Shijou ritual allows Ayaka to steal parts of magic crests and add them to the Shijou crest. If that's the case, Lumenza might not get to eternally suffer after all.Convincing her to sacrifice a human for herself might be difficult.
How will Truvi handle the truth?I'm worried about Luvia, honestly.Oh well, at least Rin will get btfo when she gives the incorrect version of events about us to the Edelfelts and Luvia reveals she met us and that we didn't lie to them about not being an Einzbern and that we have nothing to do with Angra Mainyu, as Truvi can back up the story we gave about Akeldama. Should make Shirou feel even worse about his decision to condemn us to death, especially considering we're only three weeks old.
I think we're actually tied right now, by the way.
Rolled 1 (1d2)>>3763063The tiebreaker:•1 = Amusement Park•2 = ArcadeWhen Lily is barred from the ride, I will wave my virtual dick everywhere.
>>3763063Oh, oops. I was thinking film had won for some reason.
>>3762686That's easy to say, but what would you do if Luvia and Truvi are opposing us?Keeping them asleep for the rest of the war and getting some mana from them without harming them isn't really cruel.>>3762709It's the plan to capture people keep them asleep and draw (excess) mana from them like you can do with leylines.I didn't give it that name I just used the one someone else gave it in an earlier thread and thought people would understand.>>3762736Do I even still have to say hubris here?
>>3763175>Hubris>almost killed Rider despite being under the effects of Cybele and her fighting alongside Emiya>got blindsided by a bullshit reality marble and still managed a draw, only not winning completely due to Shirou's projectile of choiceShirou won't get UBW off again as we would prioritise him when he starts engrishing.Bellerophon could be an issue but Kenotis or a rift slash at Rider's charge should probably have us covered.Alberich is fucking strong.
>>3763152Ah, it was a 3 way tie.
>>3763208Yes, and a direct confrontation is not the only way he could screw with us.He could ally with enemies, he could wait for an opportunity and disconnect Ayaka from us, attack allies or try to destroy the grail.Killing us is neither the only way to reach his goal nor is attacking us unprepared the only way to attack us.
>>3763219Kinda feel like tying us again just so a dice isn't used to break a tie.Like, why vote at all if you're just leaving it up to chance.>>3763228Yeah but we can fuck with him even easier.>"Yes hello is that Father Antaglio? I've discovered something quite disturbing."Good luck allying with anyone with a command spell bounty on your head, Shirou. He doesn't know where the Greater Grail is.
>>3763247Maybe, but what we can do isn't important if we don't do it.And frankly Saber would probably ally with him against the "shadow". Also a bounty is not making it impossible, since they can still kill him afterwards, and Shirou is charismatic.
>>3763255>Shirou is charismatic Irrelevant. If people know his goals, he'd be Kill on Sight. Also, working together with him is a great way to get yourself a bounty. Saber still wants the grail.
>>3763297>Also, working together with him is a great way to get yourself a bounty. Since that was so effective at keeping us from allying with him? Also apart from us nobody knows his goals from the masters. And while Saber wants the grail she isn't about allying temporarily with him to defeat the shadow and a competitor.
>>3763310>Since that was so effective at keeping us from allying with him?Nobody was aware of him or his intentions at that point.Saber is a possible issue, but her master likely won't ally with the Emiyas.
>>3763379>Nobody was aware of him or his intentions at that point.Pretty sure his intention to stop the grail war was one of the first things he told us.>Saber is a possible issue, but her master likely won't ally with the Emiyas. If we have become strong enough to casually ignore everything Rider, Shirou, Rin and Sakura can do then I'm sure he would think about a temporary alliance.
>>3763396If we become that strong, it will probably be too late for even Saber to be able to help them.
I just realised>try to talk things out with the Emiyas>Rider tries to go for the sneaky kill with CybeleIn hindsight, Alberich did nothing wrong. The NAP was violated by Rider. I wish Perseus was here.I also wish we had a record of Harpe. If we could apply it's immortal killing ability to Heilig, we would've fucking instantly butchered Achilles. But yeah, halfway through trying to get to the bottom of things, Snake bitch tried to petrify us, then Shirou sentenced us to death for the crime of "sorry but too bad, muh greater good." and tried to go full EMIYA.Rin also spoke down at us.Also, does Alberich have any suspicions as to Medusa's identity?I mean, petrifying eyes are a pretty big giveaway.
Oh and Previous thread still needs archiving before it 404s.
>>3763682Also Lili's poor timing on Alberich's part caused the loss in trust. I mean they were always wary of us especially Rider. But when Lili (an eizenbern) says "Yeah he is totally an Eizenbern" or "LOOK ITS OUR SPY" of course Rider will immediately go on the offensive.Once Odin showed his overpowered ass to everyone it made Alberich immediately loose any control over the situation and caused the kill or be killed situation with the Emiya Family. Hell we are still kinda subservient to Odin.So instead of just having more people after us why not just get someone to give them a message of "Get the fuck out of Tokyo."
>>3763796>"To Shirou, believe it or not, I don't want to kill you. Please leave Tokyo before I'm forced into trying to again. You should understand that Liliesviel won't be happy with just your death along with Tohsaka's and Rider's and I'm sure that you wouldn't want that. Should the grail turn out to be corrupted, I'll deal with it myself with the help of my Casters."> - Alberich Iscariot
>>3763796He just got done trying to kill us and almost succeeding. Fuck that guy. I say we kill him.
>>3763886Alberich understands his reasons and finds them noble though. He should also respect him for being a human not afraid to face off against a Servant.I doubt Alberich could ever actually hate the Emiyas. They are just unfortunately opposed to him. Their goals are perfectly understandable and their reaction to our betrayal was justified. In comparison to the Rider fight where Alberich taunted as much as he could, he was silent in the Emiya fight.
>>3763913>In comparison to the Rider fight where Alberich taunted as much as he could, he was silent in the Emiya fight.Maybe because Shirou wasn't a smug asshole?
>>3763940That alone shouldn't stop Alberich.
>>3763962Actually, Alberich has never taunted anybody who wasn't a smug asshole so, it probably would.
>>3763968Yeah but he didn't talk at all when facing Emiya.Roland wasn't even that smug, Alberich just bullied the shit out of him then mocked him after he killed his horse.Emiya is actually somebody that Alberich doesn't really want to kill. Even before the battle he considered jeopardizing his alliance with Lily by revealing Caster to threaten Emiya and make him leave. I doubt Alberich enjoyed betraying and fighting him, even with his lust for battle.
>>3764015That doesn't mean we're gonna be penpals.
>>3764057Doesn't mean Alberich personally wants to kill Emiya, either. So good natured even a serial killer feels bad about trying to kill him.
>>3764057Who says anything about penpals. Just get them out so its not another group trying to kill us.
>>3763796>So instead of just having more people after us why not just get someone to give them a message of "Get the fuck out of Tokyo."So your great plan is to tell Emiya to leave us alone and not interfere while we start the apocalypse?Somehow I think even the not justice aligned people would have a problem with that.
>>3764142who the fuck says we are starting the apocalypse? this>>3763869 would be decent enough for them to get out.Its either get out with the family, or get a super powerful spear to skewer him and his family at once. I dunno sure seems like a tough choice.
>>3764142I don't see why he arrogantly believes only he is capable of solving the issue of a corrupted grail. When it comes to grail wars, Alberich has a better track record than Emiya does.If the grail is corrupt, then it will have to be deactivated, destroyed, or sent to INS.
>>3764164Because if the grail is corrupted and we use it we birth the zoroastrian god of evil. We are not nearly strong enough to defeat a full blown god.>>3764166Because he actually wants to stop the grail, while we want to use it. There is a difference between Angra Mainyu before and after he was born.
>>3764181We want to use it if it's not corrupt. He wants to stop it just in case. Also, if the grail is corrupt, it's pretty fucking obvious, generally.
>>3764186No, we would also try to use it if it is corrupted. With some security measures, but it still is risking the world for our life. Also I think he might have some problems trusting our word after we lied to him to lure him into a trap to kill him, Rin and Rider.
>>3764196We've got two Casters, I'm sure that with enough time, Circe could figure out a way to fix the grail. As for the trap, well what can you do, we were hoping the Einzbern were unaware of them, lolnope Odin. But hey, luckily nobody died. They did want us to attack the house to eliminate Sakura first, were Liliesviel to send her own Servant to accomplish such a thing, I'm fairly certain that would've wiped them all out. By betraying them, we helped them live longer.
>>3764196>Using a corrupted grailThat sounds like the exact opposite of what we want as that will most likely backfire super hard.
>>3764212Yes and that will surely make them feel safe to leave the grail in the hands of someone who already showed himself willing to lie to them. And say how we totally were on their side all along and we only betrayed them because circumstances forced us. Really? That sounds like a really cheap lie to make them trust us.>>3764216At that point we are out of options. We already had plans to make the wish in imaginary space to isolate it from the world, but we can hardly make any guarantee to Shirou about how that would be safe, because Alberich has no idea if it would truly be safe.
>>3764244>we are out of options We've probably got Medea's superior in magecraft somewhere in the city.Bad End 20 has Caster get the grail and nobody mentions the world ending. It's not as hopeless as you think.
>>3764271Okay, then still how do you want to convince the Emiyas to trust us on that?Simply put, just telling them to trust us with the fate of the world (or at least this entire city) and leave the city after we proved ourselves untrustworthy is really not going to work.
>>3764291Truvi.Truvi can back up our entire story on Akeldama. And that we have an Age of Gods Magus somewhere to see if they can solve the whole Angra Mainyu issue, if it is still there. Also that we aren't an Einzbern.Hey, if we actually can fix the grail with Circe, that's one more point in our favour from Lily.
>>3764324She can also tell them that we did lie to her for a good while. And that Akeldama was true does jack shit to convince them that we are trustworthy. You can't prove that you are trustworthy by proving that you aren't lying about everything. And even if we had an Age of Gods Magus that is still no guarantee of success. Shirou is not gambling with something this dangerous.
>>3764340Actually, we cleared up the Einzbern thing the day after she started calling us one.We didn't really lie to her for long at all.In fact, after we kept the Einzbern thing from her, Rushorou decided to keep her informed of developments at all times, even after she assumed that our alliance was gone because of Lancer's death.
>we lied to the Emiyas multiple times and got found out,>we slashed Rider's chest open>Shirou nearly killed us and heavily injured himself in the processThe alliance is over. Give it up anon. This is getting sad.
>>3764358Still we didn't just burn the trust bridge we nuked it. We have proven us to be willing to kill them just for our own survival and risk the city for our goal. To trust us in this would frankly be stupid. And they don't even know but we are sacrificing a ton of innocent people for our goals by drawing too much on the leylines, we are hiding the serial killer they were hunting and we are pretty clearly willing to lie and use Lily for our own ends. And if Truvi tells them about us brainwashing Kikuko then this will give even more reason to doubt us and her.Words alone won't be enough to convince them to trust us with something this big.
>reading through thread 2>OOC Sweets posts>"Poor Ogawara is still waiting for the goddess to show up and give him his cheat powers."Well, he got them in the end, he just had to wait for Rushorou to win the damn war before he got them.>>3764371Oh the alliance is over, sure.Doesn't mean we have to kill them if it can be avoided. Also, this is Shirou Emiya."Oh it's OK you tried to murder me Illya.""What's that? You brutally murdered Shinji? Come live in my house!""I know you've eaten hundreds of people, Sakura, but I'm going to fuck everything up to save you!"
>>3764387Difference is that we're male.
Guys! I remember something we need to see if we can use our magic to create.Internally Accelerating Grenade Knives.>>3764393Tsubaki isn't though.Uh.Kind of.>>3764376Did we ever even tell Truvi we brainwashed Kikuko?
>>3764387I really don't care about killing them at all. If we never see them for the rest of the war then great but if they start shit again there's going to be a fight and Alberich isn't going to make the same mistake twice.
>>3764387>Also, this is Shirou Emiya. For Ilya she was always pretty open about killing him. So this was never much a question of trust with her. Also she was interested in killing him and Shirou has a bit of a problem with valuing his own life.As for Sakura. Well first she wasn't exactly in her right mind at the time, she's also someone he knew for years and loved. We did betray him knowing exactly what we did, we know him only for a few days and I rather doubt he has those kinds of feelings for us.>>3764402>Tsubaki isn't though.Tsubaki is a serial killer and she's not really regretting it or interested in redemption.>Did we ever even tell Truvi we brainwashed Kikuko? No idea, but if Truvi isn't stupid she might have noticed Kikuko's change in behavior, because that wasn't really subtle and the fact that we also did treat her strangely for someone who just backstabbed us.
>>3764420Of course, if they try to stop us, Rider and Shirou likely won't be surviving the encounter. Rin isn't really a threat, however.I'm hoping that by the next time we fight them we can easily kill them both.Give them a last "leave or die" after kicking the shit out of the both of them.Well we will see.
>>3764430>Tsubaki is a serial killerSo is Alberich though.>>3764430There are plenty of things more reasonable to think of than insta-brainwashing, honestly. Stockholm Syndrome, for one.The only lie we really made to them was setting them up against Berserker.Which we really had no choice about doing because Einzbern.I suppose sheltering Tsubaki also counts though. She's our sister and we've been trying to wean her off eating families. Which is something at least. It's a simple choice, Shirou. My Life + People I care about's lives >>>> Normalfags.
>>3764454>So is Alberich though. Not helping your case here.>There are plenty of things more reasonable to think of than insta-brainwashing, honestly. Stockholm Syndrome, for one.Stockholm Syndrome is not nearly that fast.>The only lie we really made to them was setting them up against Berserker.>Which we really had no choice about doing because Einzbern. Not telling them about our contact with the Einzbern. Setting them up. Lying about Tsubaki and hiding her. Trying to get them killed. Lying about our motivation and how we want to stop the grail war together with them.>It's a simple choice, Shirou. And Shirou has made it pretty clear that while he regrets it he disagrees and will kill us to stop us.
>>3764474An addendum to our message. >"And if you fuck with me I'll have Caster scry for your family and deal with them faster than you can drown in your own ideals and die."Shirou might want to stop us, but he's unwilling to sacrifice everything to do so.>didn't reveal contact with the Einzbern Couldn't, Niemand/Odin would know.>Setting them upAnd not getting Sakura and the kids killed in a huge fight. >lying about Tsubaki and hiding herSome people support their sisters, Rin.>trying to get them killed We saved their asses multiple times from Berserker. If we actually wanted them dead, we could have delayed just a few milliseconds.>lying about wanting to stop the warWhat Alberich himself wants is irrelevant. If the war stops, he dies, his siblings die and the two women he loves die.
>>3764500>Shirou might want to stop us, but he's unwilling to sacrifice everything to do so.If he believes we will unleash Angra then it won't matter if it is us or him that kills them.>Couldn't, Niemand/Odin would know.In which case why would we let them run? Odin would find out.It would also mean that the entire situation could easily repeat and we would be forced to lie to them again at any point.>And not getting Sakura and the kids killed in a huge fight. Allegedly. The would only have our word for that and we did admit directly in front of them that our motive for that was that wanted their help in killing Berserker.>Some people support their sisters, Rin.This is understandable, but not a reason to trust us. It's rather the opposite another thing we are willing to lie to them about.>We saved their asses multiple times from Berserker. If we actually wanted them dead, we could have delayed just a few milliseconds. We wanted to defeat Berserker with them. Getting them killed would just have left us to deal with him alone.>What Alberich himself wants is irrelevant.>If the war stops, he dies, his siblings die and the two women he loves die.It isn't. We literally lied about our entire motivation and wanting to help them stop the war. We literally proved that to get the war to conclusion we are willing to lie and tell them what they want to hear and in the next moment betray them.Acting out of understandable reasons does not make someone trustworthy.
On a less depressing note and one that isn't about the Emiyas.Adelheid is gonna be fucking ecstatic that we now know perfect German. Are we gonna have to learn Greek in order to keep Circe happy?
>>3764539>If he believes we will unleash Angra then it won't matter if it is us or him that kills them. This is HF Shirou though. The guy that put the world in danger to save Sakura in the first place. You think that such a threat wouldn't work on this Shirou? Hell, by threatening Taiga, Caster basically checkmates him here.Whether or not he considers Alberich trustworthy, he'll just have to hope he is and that Manjew won't make an appearance.Shirou doesn't just turn into Kerry if his loved ones are threatened.
>>3764572Oh.And I should mention that that is UBW Shirou.Who is far more dedicated to his dream than HF Shirou.
Honestly, I think you're all overestimating Shirou's ability to hold a grudge against somebody in Alberich's situation. We might have betrayed him, but in doing so, we proved to Lily that Sakura isn't an immediate threat and managed to delay their deaths and give them more time. That may or may not have been our intention, but it's how things played out. It's a shame, but we have no choice. Their only option left is to retreat, or die.We just need to make them realise that sometimes there's nothing you can do.God damn it why does Shirou's moralfaggotry have to be so endearing.
>>3764793The problem is that Shirou has already decided our life is less important than everyone else's. While he may not hold a grudge against us...>God damn it why does Shirou's moralfaggotry have to be so endearing.Maybe to you. If I see the little shit again Circe gets a new wand.
>>3764845Well we'll have to see how things develop. He's easy to beat, just hold Taiga/Sakura/his children hostage.
>>3764793>Honestly, I think you're all overestimating Shirou's ability to hold a grudge against somebody in Alberich's situation. This has nothing to do with a grudge and everything with the fact that our goals are opposing and he can't trust us to keep our word.
>>3764867He can trust what the fuck he wants, Shirou can't do shit if we threaten his loved ones.He can choose to go out and try to stop the war and put Sakura and the kids in danger by doing so.Basically, he's fucked.
I have to apologize again for the delay. As I've said, I've been having a hard time at work lately; and frankly, a difficult time focusing on writing when I am off. I hope to post an update tomorrow.

>>3765654Well, that's just needlessly cruel. Also untrue considering we plan on dealing with Saber first.

>>3765675>not believing in sweetsrude
I wonder how endgame Alberich would do in the fourth war.Have the 8 year old Illya accidentally summon him as Extra Saber after Kerry leaves for Japan with Arturia.Endgame Alberich with Illya as his Master should be able to stomp everyone bar Gilgamesh, who he should have a fairly decent shot at beating.Wonder how he'd deal with Loli Rin and Sakura.
>>3765849>Wonder how he'd deal with Loli Rin and Sakura.

>>3765849>Wonder how he'd deal with Loli Rin and Sakura.I wonder.
>>3765849...but to answer seriously, we first have to address how they'd get into the War in the first place. Illya was supposedly training with Berserker for quite some time before the 5th War, so it's possible Acht might just have them stay in Austria for 10 years preparing for the next round.
>>3765849>>3765851>>3765889Come on guys.Alberich may be a pedo but he's not some a pervert! He's a married man!He wouldn't go gaga over any and every cute girl he sees.

>>3765887Andreias would work differently applied to our armour. It could work off of attack rank instead of divinity, because Alberich himself has no divinity. >>3765906The core concept of Andreias Amarantos is "rejecting attacks from enemies without divinity", and that won't change. What changes is the execution.Remember that the core concepts of Durandal, "unbreakable" and "the power to use three miracles" were unchanged.
>>3765906Honestly, Endgame Alberich would probably be wise enough to not tamper in past events.

>>3765934Ah, I guess that's from a summer event after I quit FGO.
>>3765911I guess we'll find out what it does after we get it.EA would be basically unmatched in melee depending on how many sacrifices he gets in. Deermud will fucking die. >>3765920Why would he even care?>>3765921Damn, not so much when you put it like that.In that case, he would likely just stick around till the fifth and things would be even more fun.
>>3765953>Bravery A+It's not mental interference, it's bullshit manipulation. It even got past Artoria's Instinct (remember that bit when he cuts through her armour?)But, yes, he's outside EA's weight class.
>>3765953>Why would he even care?About the Grail or making sure he doesn't fuck the past up?Granted, the past would have to already be fucked up for us to get Summoned.
>>3765959Even if it did work through both Bravery and EotM (true) + Instinct (maybe depending on how many sacrifices) He'd just immediately die in the first clash when we sunder one of his spears and bisect him anyway. On the fifth war, poor Saber and Shirou are kind of fucked if Illya shows up with us. Andreias Armour would let us shrug off Archer's shit too.Illya would probably order their survival again though.
>>3765931Are you sure about that?Alberich: I must preserve the decency in this beach day. As the President, this is a task I gladly burden myself with. I have designed this catalog with the clothes I deem consider good enough for the ladies and the gentleman of our grou-.Circe: Alberich, I found this mini swimsuit in a store. Do you like it?A:[Burns the catalog with a flamethrower, grabs Circe and jumps into the water].
>>3766034*I deem inapropiate or considerPhoneposting is suffering.
So how would EA do against the Servants of the Fifth war?Minus Berserker, who I guess would be a wildcard with a wildcard Master.
>>3766154I mean, Medea would be a fun one.Honestly, all Alberich needs to discern her identity would be a look at her staff or hearing HSDWs.What would he do upon realising her identity? What would Medea make of it?
I do wonder how Endgame Alberich and 5th war Gilgamesh would feel about each other.Well unless it's somewhat following UBW, then the two will kind of just screech angrily at each other until the other one is dead during Gil's attack on the Einzbern Castle.Well, if that still happens after all the divergences, anyway.Something tells me Kirei wouldn't survive long around Alberich. On principle, due to being too Judas-y.He'd be able to tell who EMIYA is immediately.A few Servants will just get their weapons cut in half, most likely Assassin and Lancer.Rider with Shinji as her Master isn't even close to a threat.EA would have already defeated Saber so a weaker Saber isn't really a threat at all.
>>3766637>Kirei vs Alberich>ah you think the mud is your ally
>>3766664>I was born in it, moulded by it, it was two weeks before I even saw the real world.
>>3766664Letting ourselves get hit by grail mud seems like a bad idea, just in case Manjew can effect us.Kirei gets shredded immediately by any servant taking him half seriously. A dying Lancer killed him easily. He's honestly not an issue. We could even cut him into pieces with razor sharp Imaginary Number Wire or something if we wanted. We should try making that actually.Nearly invisible wires designed to cut through things.
Can you imagine how much bullying Saber would suffer in the Fifth War with Endgame Alberich AND Gilgamesh there.Especially considering that she's weaker than she was when Alberich first encountered her.Endgame Alberich with Illya as his Master would probably be As and A+s across the board with an assload of skills and Broken Noble Phantasms to boot.>"I don't even know why this other Saber hates me so much, but he won't stop trash talking me.">"oh no, the golden asshole from the last war is here and he keeps trying to get me to marry him">"wait, what does he mean by 'I'll enjoy killing you again'?"Oh, and here's a question, could we use the magic from a command spell to give us enough magical energy to permanently upgrade ourselves, do you think?Kind of unfortunate Ayaka only has one left.
God damn it I miss Circe so much.
>>3766949Reunion literally never
>>3766949If we find her, Alberich [Desire: Romance] will get at least a +10.
>>3766949We all do, anon.We all do.We're gonna need to get a spear and learn Greek. We've not really been acting like her vision of what a hero should be, other than using our intelligence to get ourselves out of tricky situations.Hopefully applying Gungnir gives Heilig a spear form.Durandal as Durindana could switch from spear to sword I believe so that might help.Bravery A+ and occasionally choosing to fight unarmed would help too.Meanwhile, we're kind of becoming Adelheid's perfect hero.>>3766953Shut up!
>>3766949So how much INTENSE Bed Breaking Mana Transfer do you think there will be between the two?But in all seriousness, I have to wonder what her first response is when she finds out the situation we're stuck in.
>>3766960We are not Ulisus, we are Alberich. If she wants a hero we are a hero, but I'm against changing that much just to fulfill a toxic fantasy. I think that, at the beginning of Akeldama, she wanted a replacement for her lost hero (maybe literally), then she started loving Alberich for qho he is and not for who he could be (but if she is still trying to make us into Oddiseus 2.0 it will shatter all of Alberich affection points in one go).
>>3766975I mean, it wouldn't hurt if we learned how to use other weapons. Learning Greek would just be a nice thing to do for her sake.We speak perfect German now, regardless. If Heilig is gonna become some EX rank godsword, why would we use it against everything? There's no way to enjoy a battle if you end it too quickly. We may as well learn how to use other weapons. There's a spear/lance Noble Phantasm we need to take from somebody also.
>>3766983Our second most common means of fighting is just our fists. If we ever get to the point where using our sword is too easy or boring I'd prefer to just stick to hand to hand until necessary.
>>3766983>Saber>Most of the time, I use a spear. See, there's this girl I know a girl who really likes them, and...Where's your Pride, anon?
>>3766991If Gilgamesh can call himself Archer and never touch a fucking bow I think a Saber using a spear is perfectly reasonable.I don't just mean a spear though, we should probably try and master many different weapons. A spear is basically just a sword with a long handle.
>>3766997The difference here is that Gilgamesh became an Archer due to others' labeling. You chose to be a Saber.
>>3766974Ah yes, how can I forget
>>3766997>If Gilgamesh can call himself Archer and never touch a fucking bowProto-Gil uses a bow.>I think a Saber using a spear is perfectly reasonable....I guess??? rama exists
>>3766997Also there's nothing better than disrespecting your opponent and purposely holding back by using weapons you aren't as skilled with.Really gets the "I'm not taking you seriously" vibe going. Also how else would we confuse our opponents and pretend we're a different class to every opponent. Nobody ever expects Archer to pull out a sword.>>3767024Doesn't mean we should only ever know how to use a sword though.Honestly, what sort of Knight is only proficient with a single type of weapon?...What sort of Knight can't ride a horse?
God, there's so much Alberich needs to learn and accomplish still. If he gets the opportunity to gain everything we want, through sacrifices and his own effort, he'll be immensely powerful. At the end of his legend, he should easily be Gil/Grand tier.Eye of the Mind (True) at A rank in addition to A rank Instinct would practically make him invincible in close quarters. The only person with a shot at outskilling that would be Sasaki, and Tsubame Gaeshi would just worthlessly clang off of the NP armour before his sword gets cut in half.
I swear to god, if I ever get this update finished I will die before anyone else goes to an amusement park in one of my quests.
>>3767345While you're here, Sweets, do we have Roland's memories from the time of his summoning onward, or just his life story?
>>3767400Just the life story, I'm afraid. You'd have to consume the entirety of his soul to get all of his memories, thoughts, etc. The memories of this summoning have already returned to the Throne.
>>3767345Wait, are you doing that segment all in one go?
>>3767466Not entirely sure just yet. I'm writing until the story breaks off for a choice, which I usually find happens organically. That said, there'll be no update tonight. Sorry once again, everyone. I really, definitely will post an update in the next 18 hours, though. Depend on it. After that, updates should resume their daily pace.
We should probably think of the best way to explain Akeldama and our existence to a somewhat concerned Tsundere and Luvia.I mean, we're giving her the whole truth, but we should probably phrase it in a way that won't upset her. Also that the Einzbern girl sort of just assumed we were her brother.
>>3767657Why don't we just give it to them straight? Except for the parts about not existing before the Akeldama and the four extra Servants, of course -- Luvia doesn't need to know those. They already know from Truvi's testimony that Judas can pull off any bullshit he likes.
>>3767681>not mentioning the extra servantsTruvi already knows Circe and Adelheid are likely somewhere in the city. The not-existing part doesn't really hurt us at all to mention. I don't see why we should hide Korakuhime from them either.
>>3767687>Truvi already knows Circe and Adelheid are likely somewhere in the city.Luvia might not. If she does, it doesn't hurt us to hide it; if she does, why reveal such an enormous advantage so soon?>The not-existing part doesn't really hurt us at all to mention.Except for being his most closely-hidden secret, and a huge admission to anyone?>I don't see why we should hide Korakuhime from them either.Because Luvia's known to have some connection to an enemy, and that makes her untrustworthy.I don't think she's stupid enough to let Truvi go around Tokyo alone at night during a Grail War.
>>3767694>if she does, whyIf she DOESN'T, I mean.
>>3767694>our most closely guarded secretTruvi is already mostly aware of our story though. It's no more a huge admission than saying we were once Rushorou. We can't just lie to her again after everything. Also, I imagine Truvi revealed everything, which is why she was permitted to tag along. We can't tell Truvi she was the first human we ever met if we don't reveal the truth of our existence.Luvia doesn't matter so much here, she's just another somewhat powerful modern magus as an enemy. It's possible the Rin and Luvia were sent only to investigate but Rin decided to take matters into her own hands.
>>3767694What's Luvia going to do with that information anyway? Run off to tell Rin that she's fucked? I'm pretty sure she already knows that.
The way I see it, the Edelfelt have two choices.Choice 1) maintain good relations with faction with 5 servants on their side, and will totally shake up the entire moonlit world.Choice 2) die.The Edelfelt should think of this as an opportunity, honestly. It's not often that somebody as powerful as Alberich wishes for an alliance.
So here's an idea.If Rushorou's blossoming romance with Circe and Adelheid made Alberich a cradle robber and Ogawara's time cooking and cleaning made Korakuhime a girl, I wonder how Matsuda's experiences shaped his rebirth's preferences. If I remember correctly, he seemed to get along sorta well with Truvi even though she wanted nothing to do with him.Maybe he'll be the big tiddy loving, hag fucking counterpart we need.I guess while we wait I'll go back and look into Matsuda's interactions with people.
>>3767798>"You know that Saber servant you told me about? The one that nearly killed both Rider and Sherou all by himself?">"Yes, Luvia. I am aware that the other servant didn't interfere in the fight, which is probably the only reason we're still alive.">"Oh. Actually I'm just here to let you know that he actually has four other extra servants on his side.">"Excuse me but what the fuck?">"Also the thing he told you about Caster's Noble Phantasm was also kind of true too. Truvi got caught in it."
>>3767701>>3767798>>3767819excuse me for wanting be on the side of cautionAnd you do realize that if any of our enemies found out they'd go tell Antaglio right away, don't you?>>3767805>Maybe he'll be the big tiddy loving, hag fucking counterpart we need.I hope so. As much as I love Alberich I can't betray my ideals
>>3767842The Emiyas already have enough to tell Antaglio. Oh wait they can't, because they aren't supposed to be in the war.By the time anybody thinks of telling Antaglio, I intend to have already had him sacrificed to give his command spells to Ayaka. The Shijou Ritual is most likely capable of such a thing.
>>3767855Yeah, it's almost like the presence of the administrator benifits us more than it does the people actively attempting to undermine the grail war.
>>3767886Funny how it works out like that, isn't it?
We may as well tell Truvi everything and not bother hiding stuff at this point.
If we save the Emiya rematch for last, Shirou is kind of screwed. There's nothing he could possibly do to Alberich after... lets say the 3 remaining Servants and 3 mass sacrifices. Then again, he'd probably be capable of going against Odin with that many powerups. It's a shame that we don't know if we could use the energy from command spells to permanently become more powerful. Damn it, Ayaka.
What are the odds Sakura somehow manages to go full Shadow if we actually kill Rin, Shirou and Rider?
>>3769008While she's probably the most gifted Imaginary Numbers magus, most of her power came from being an Imitation Lesser Grail and being connected to Angry Manju and the Swirl of the Root through the Greater Grail. She shouldn't be able to use the Shadow anymore without a connection with the Tokyo Greater Grail.
>>3769028Then they are trutly fucked.By the way, we should at least try to avoid full lolicon Alberich and make him interact romantically with some legal females, like seriously, the only trait I really dislike about him is the "Humbert Humbert". I can pass the Circe relationship because she is more a teenager than full loli but things are getting out of hand, our boy needs at least to talk with women of his own age (that aren't trying to kill in that moment).
>>3769052*to kill him in that moment.
>>3769052>talk with women of his own age Newborns don't tend to be good for conversations. Oh!I gotchu.Tsubaki route it is.
>>3769064Jokes aside, he sort of got along OK with Rin before the betrayal, obviously not romantically but it's not like he totally shuns elder women. He isn't attracted to people that look his age right now, and unless the Hag of Archer tries to join his side and seduce him or something after Archer is btfo he'll probably remain attracted to younger girls.Unless Ayaka ramps up her affections or if Truvi out of nowhere goes full Deredere.
>>3767483>I really, definitely will post an update in the next 18 hours, though.>17 hours and 30 minutes ago
>>3769234https://youtu.be/AQ6vXRGdAtoHere, have this convenient timer. I'm sitting here writing at this very moment.
Alright, fuck. I'll post this thing eventually, anyway. However long this may go on, I'm not dead.
>>3769320I'm just joking around anyway....Being a europoor is suffering.
>>3769326Like half the updates in this quest have been posted in the wee small hours of the morning my time. My brain doesn't work on anyone's reasonable schedule, unfortunately.
>>3769329Some people post updates in sections so we at least have something to read and discuss
>>3769247>>3769320>>3769329update never ever ever
>>3769329Goddamnit Sweets, you can't edge me this long it's inhumane.
>>3769568>>3769651Don't worry, I'm working on the update now.
>>3769653That is a statement that has no bearing on the amount of time until the next update Sweets. You're just edging me even harder you shameless minx!
>>3769665But it's better than just disappearing, isn't it?
>>3769675I have invested my hopes, dreams and black lotus card collection into future talk with Luvia.
>>3769723Have you cooled down yet?
RIP Sweets: Died trying to write out an amusement park sequence.
>>3769886Sorry but Sweets got isekai`d as Alberich into standard japanese isekai fantasy world.Probably already has a harem with minimum of two lolis.
>>3769889What, did Truck-kun crash into his bedroom?
>>3769890Outer Assassin needed to protect his identity from us at all costs so he used The Death of the Author: EX to knife Sweets few times and throw his body under the moving train to masquerade death a suicide.Unless of course you believe that Hassan of the Truck actually exist and got him first.
>>3769899Oh god, not the Hassan of the Isekai Truck. He'll send us to another grail war, to rescue princess Peach, to fight (usurp) Sauron or some shit like that.
>>3769899>Unless of course you believe that Hassan of the Truck actually exist and got him first. What, Outer Assassin couldn't have been Hassan of the Inexplicable Truck?
>>3769907he'll put us in a familiar of zero fanfic
>>3769907>>3769912>>3769920Ah Akeldama home.
I miss Kikuko.
>>3769956Well you're in luck because we're going to meet her again in the amusement park! Just as soon as we get to the damn place.
>>3769959Don't jinx it.
You know what would be fun?>Alberich at the end of his legend has both Affections of the Goddess A+ and Affections of the Holy Grail A+>All Parameters A/A+ except Luck: B (EX)
>>3767805Welp I've reread all of Akeldama while we've been waiting for this update. Here are some things I've found about our Brother.Matsuda Notes>Matsuda seemed to have woken up with 2 of his "friends" and watched them die before Rushrou came to help. Beat the shit outta the skelly's that hurt them. Very much wanted to kill every skeleton he found afterward. (Hot blooded)>Was very willing to let Rushrou take the lead right off the bat, despite not being inclined to help anyone but his "buddies"(Quick to anger, but Easily convinced by reasonable plans. Quick to act, but will wait for "orders" to do so.)>Very attentive during the Lancer/Saber fight and accurately predicted the outcome of the battle.(Instinct?)>Considers Matsuda a "natural-born gofer" >Has never touched a stove, "Mother" was very...tradition about a man's place in the house.>"Matsuda seems satisfied to smoke his cigarette and wait for the situation to reach a conclusion."(Not very handy outside of battle or training for battle)>"Kaichou, you've saved my life twice since we showed up here. Four times, if ya count when missy over there saved the lot o' us from those skeletons. When that bastard had his knife to my throat, you knew it might mean yer own death if ya gave up. But ya still did, 'cause ya didn't want ta see me dead. That's how a real man leads, Kaichou. How a real badass leads. If I left ya here an' never paid ya back, I'd be tha shame o' Cromartie High."(Very loyal to Rush)>"Matsuda has holed himself up in his room as well, doing furious pushups and muttering darkly about what he's going to do to Cid." (I forsee big daddy issues in the future.)>"Osu! Can't wait to get back into the action!" (Big excited to fight in the war)>Was interested in fighting Rush and teaching him about fighting>Still feels indebted due to not being able to give hands on help.(Again very loyal, but expect brotherly rivalry)>Planned on going right back into fighting to get a good life as a yakuza>"Like I said, it does frustrate me. But there are some situations where there's nothin' you can do. One time, a buddy of mine got in bad with the local yakuza. Same group, I told you's tryin' ta recruit me now, in fact. I don't know what Fujiyama did to 'em, but they were out for blood." He takes a drag on the cigarette, recalling the situation, before continuing, "Now, I'd stuck up for Fujiyama plenty of times before. He had a bad habit of pissin' off rival gangs and needin' me and the rest of my buddies ta bail 'im out. But this time, I didn't lift a finger. When the real mob wants a kid, there's nothin' a high school punk like me can do. That's just the way of it."(Knows his upper limits)>"But I'm warning ya, Kaichou," he growls, "don't trust girls like her. All flash and no substance; they'll turn on ya in a minute." (Hates Thots)Over all I found it surprising how little Matsuda interacted with anyone once he carved out his little area in the gym.
>>3770037>Very attentive during the Lancer/Saber fight and accurately predicted the outcome of the battle.>(Instinct?)Seems more like Mind's Eye to me. "Analysis of battle conditions" and all that.
I can't wait for Matsuda to come back.Sibling Reunion will be fun.Korakuhime accepted us as her elder brother and superior. Matsuda might be a little more difficult to convince. I wonder if we could get Truvi to be his Master.I hope he's Lancer.
>>3770055Based on everything we know about him it seems he's far more allied to the Berserker role. That would be kinda boring, but I'm sure Sweets would be able to make it work...if we get that far before the heat death of the universe.
>>3770037It's almost infuriating looking back seeing how much time we spent with Truvi when in the end we only got the bare minimum out of her.Especially sense in many cases it seemed talking to her only made things worse. All the while our future brother, Thot Patrol Matsuda, was wasting away by himself. So much for him beinging a haglover, although I've long since realized that it wasn't wholly Rushorou's experience in Akeldama that made him how he is, but his utter lack of feel beforehand in addition to his new blossoming emotionsThat said though it seems to me he was more eager to get home anyway so I guess I can't fault anyone for not prioritizing a content person over a constantly upset party member.
>>3770062Rushorou really tried his absolute best with Truvi.Hopefully when she thought back on Akeldama she saw his actions in a different light.
>>3770061Berserkers are known for being mad with rage or otherwise mad, and Matsuda has only been... angry. If he was a Berserker I would expect his Mad Enhancement to be at a Rank of E or D.The new-age heroes seem to have forms and abilities based on how they defined themselves (Alberich by his deeds in Akeldama and Tsubaki by her desire to get away from reality) so Matsuda is more likely to be a Lancer because he always wanted to be a badass hero.
>>3770062>Thot Patrol MatsudaGod, the Judas Brothers really are the worst bunch.>Alberich, the prideful pedo>Korakuhime, the lazy thot>Matsuda, the volcel toughguy What an amazing group the three make. I can't wait for the family reunion. >>3770075Hmm, that makes sense. We'll just have to hope Sweets thinks the same way.
>>3770087>Keiseki, strangled in a crib
>>3770093Alberich needed to assert dominance. Oh I just had a terrifying thought. We must never let Kourakuhime find out that Kaleidosticks exist.
>>3770105The whole world will fear Alberich when he builds an Everest-sized statue of himself T-posing.
Welp, now I'm paranoid. There is no way a simple scene of the group going to an amusement park should take this long.Something horrible is gonna happen, something that is gonna bring the authorities of the Holy Grail war crashing down on our skulls like a hammer and ruin all our plans. It's the end of the line, should have abandoned the war to look for Circe and Adelheid when we had the chance.
A weapon to surpass Akeldama...
>>3770139Maybe the simple mundane scenes are just harder for Sweets to write.
>>3770147Or maybe Sweets got carried away and wrote a Novella about the Amusement Park.
>>3770139Maybe we meet them at the park and Circe thinks Alberich is dating Lili, then we have 12 full posts of Circe screaming insults in greek while she slaps the shit our of Alberich, then Ayaka appears, Circe asks who she is, then Ayaka tells her Alberich, Korakuhime and her live together in the same house and we get 14 posts of Circe going apeshit and beating the crap out off Alberich with yandere enhancement EX. Meanwhile, Odin decides to adopt us because we are an endless source of entertainment.
>>3770139Speaking of Circe and Adelheid, something I noticed while reading was how relatively respectful Circe was about her affection and how that ultimately lead to Adelheid quickly getting the upper hand.Rushorou seems to clearly appreciate the straightforward and assertive type, despite how much genuine love he has for Circe.Probably why Alberich become so fond of Lili.Girls who demand and appreciate Alberich's attention seem to get it in spades, as opposed to girls who try to be coy (Circe) or girls who demand attention but don't seem to appreciate his time and effort (Truvi and Kikuko)
>>3770170I mean, the two are evenly matched for affection and Alberich dearly loves the both of them.Circe just has to be a little more direct.
Do you think Lumenza has left the city yet?We need to get Korakuhime a present.
>>3770292I also want to pull his fucking limbs off.Maybe have Korakuhime eat his limbs in front of him while he watches before turning him into a mana battery for the rest of his existence.Lumenza will get a super fucked Dead End if I have my way.
>>3770254>Circe just has to be a little more direct.Absolutely. Hell, I'd say he's waiting for the chance.Alberich has developed a habit of playing with his food.He will tease the shit out of a girl to delay any displays of genuine affection. The best way to catch him off gaurd is to either turn the tables on him if he tries to tease or be aggressive from the start. All that aside, what I'm really trying to say is that I find it interesting how fast his relationship turned romantic with Adelheid compared to Circe, the girl he was with since the start and arguably did more for him overall. The fact that Alberich loves Circe and Adelheid the same amount, despite Adelheid coming in so late in the game is a testament to either Alberich's lust for assertive girls or Adelheid's busted charisma.Probably both.
>>3770528Alberich talks a big game but at the end of the day he's got 18 years worth of memories as an autist who didn't understand emotions and like two weeks of experience trying to deal with women he finds attractive. He's very easy to turn the tide on.
Waiting for an update like
UPDATE WHEN aargh.
Sweets has been Isekai'd. I knew that guy with the flying, cloaked, dagger-throwing truck was the Assasin Servant.
I can't wait for Sweets to post the script for his award winning children's movie "Al and Lilly go to Disneyland"
>>3770825I wish. The only other world I've been going to is that of fever dreams. First it was extra work, then construction on my home, then being bedridden with a fucking fever. >>3770842He's working on the third movie of the Al&Lily Trilogy as we speak. "Lord of the Grails: The Return of the Ruler"
>>3770943o-ohwell, good luck with that and i hope you get better sometime this week
>>3770943I got you senpai.
>>3770997>almost got tripscareful there
>>3770997I've never thought a shark was cute before, but goddamnit, that shark is adorable. All joking aside, I'm truly grateful to all of you folks for sticking with me and being invested enough in the quest to post stuff like >>3769665, >>3769889, >>3770037, and >>3770739.That you've kept the thread alive and continued to care despite the lack of updates since Sunday means a great deal to me, and it does help keep motivation up. We will get back to a frequent update pace, I promise.
>>3771016Your appreciation for our appreciation is appreciated, but you're gonna have to hit me up with some solid numbers bruh.78%?69%?50%?Word count, page count, SOMETHING!Give me some data to work with.
>>3771061Circe looks really cute in a "I'm going to trap you in a labrinth so you never wander away from me," kind of way.
>>3770139>>3771061Now why couldn't I find either of these when I was trawling pixiv for Caster art?
>>3770170>>3770528A note about this from the author perspective:In the previous incarnation of Fate/City Akeldama, Rushorou was very outgoing and active in pursuing the heroines' affection. This was almost entirely by write-in. So, when I started writing I figured that you folks would vote for him to actively go after whichever heroine you liked; since that never happened, we ended up with the situation as you can read it.Of course, this is explained in the story by Alberich's nature as a new existence and memories of life as a disconnected sociopath as you've noted. With more character development, he's shifted into a more active role now as can be seen in the (shoujo-manga-inspired) dynamic he has with Ayaka,
"Have you ever been to an amusement park? I've heard they're great fun." You're not sure why the idea pops into your head; it just seems to fall out of your mouth in answer to her question. When you think about it, though, it does seem appropriate for a girl who's been sheltered all her life. Haven't there been girls at Yumigawa's school talking about an amusement park that opened recently which they wanted to explore? You can't recall the name, but you're sure there was such a park."Oh, that's a lovely idea," Liliesviel exclaims. "I never have. Stengel, what can you tell us about amusement parks?""I can tell you that they are no place for the successor of the Einzbern to be spending her time," the maid replies with a disdainful sniff. "Why, those places are worse than these public restaurants. Absolutely crowded with commoners, swarming about and packed into a too-small area. Lady Liliesviel, I implore you not to consider going to such a place. It is not befitting of your station.""Well, perhaps if grandfather had arranged a castle for me to live in, I would behave more appropriately for my station," Liliesviel remarks, a note of irritation coming into her voice. "Anyway, if Alberich thinks it would be fun we'll go. Let me rephrase my question: what can you tell us about the amusement parks here individually? Is there one which stands out?""If my lady insists." Stengel inclines her head in a seated bow, and adopts a mask of passivity. You can see the anger in her eyes, though. It's obvious that the longer this outing goes on, the more infuriated Liliesviel's chief maid will become. Not that it's any concern of yours, of course. She's only a maid, after all; more like human furniture than anything else. After taking a moment to consider, she continues, "Of these places of entertainment, the least horrid of them is..." she pauses for a sigh, a flicker of disgust passing over her face. "Magical Lunar Kingdom PhantasMoon. It is large, well-appointed with a variety of mechanical amusements, and because it was opened to the public less than a year ago, it is less encrusted with the filth of the masses than other parks."Magical Lunar Kingdom PhantasMoon! That's the name of the new park that was the talk of the school, you finally remember it now that Stengel has brought it up. Given how popular it was among Yumigawa's female schoolmates, you're sure it's the best place to take a young girl looking to enjoy Tokyo. "That sounds excellent," you say. "What do you think, Liliesviel?"
"If Stengel says it's the best, I'm sure it is." Liliesviel gives you an enthusiastic nod. "Let's go, then! Stengel, you can get us tickets on the way, right?" It strikes you as odd, how quick the girl is to agree with her maid on matters of individual preference, when she's happy to crush opposition to the general course of action. It was the same way with the choice of café, after all. You can't tell if Liliesviel genuinely puts that much trust in her servant's preferences or she's simply placating the woman's pride. In any case, despite Stengel's resentment at the prospect the five of you soon pay for your meals and head on your way. This time it's Stachel driving; as soon as you get in the car, Stengel gives her a quick set of directions and then gets on the phone to arrange your tickets. At least, that's what you assume she's doing. It's difficult to tell through the tinted glass partition that separates the driver from the limousine's passengers, but you can't imagine any other reason she'd be on the telephone. In fact, that she's using one even for this strikes you as odd. It is, of course, the most efficient way for her to do her job, but given the attitudes of the magi you've met so far towards technology you'd expect that one as obsessed with the nobility of a highborn magus lineage as Stengel would reject as many modern conveniences as possible. Apparently that's not so. "What's on your mind, my boy?" Apparently Lancer notices your contemplation, as he speaks up. "I was simply woolgathering." You brush the topic aside, not wanting to discuss your uncertainty about the ways of magi with this arrogant old man. "What of you? You didn't speak much at brunch; I can't imagine that a pleasure-tour through a modern city holds much appeal for a war god.""Well, as I said, I do enjoy seeing the way mortals live." Lancer gives you his condescending smile again. "The entertainment you make for yourselves is a part of that, naturally. I don't imagine the thrill rides will hold much appeal for me, but the peaceable people who come to enjoy the illusion of danger... well, they're a subject I've had little opportunity to be around, since my summoning. As the little miss told you, we've been in her tower for the most part.""So you're along for the people-watching, is that it? I'm surprised; I was under the impression that gathering information was your specialty." If you have to tolerate Lancer's infuriatingly superior attitude, you reason, you can at least prod him verbally. Unfortunately, the jab doesn't make an impact. Lancer's reply is unruffled and supremely condescending."Information is one thing, experience is another; perhaps one in your position in life hasn't yet encountered that distinction. I'm going out to enjoy myself, as much as you are." He raises an eyebrow for a moment, eyes gleaming with a ribald mirth, before continuing, "I hope my presence isn't spoiling your courtship of our little princess, though."
"Oh, not at all." You keep your voice cool by force of will and return a smile as serene as Lancer's is suggestive. "I'm sure Liliesviel and I can enjoy one another's company with our without your observation." Throughout this exchange, Liliesviel has been staring out the window, focusing on the passing scenery of the city. Now, though, she turns away to join the conversation."Of course you're not spoiling anything, Otto," she says with a sweet, open smile. "Nobody with a good relationship can have it spoiled just by someone watching." She squeezes your hand, and you feel your pulse quicken at the contact. At the touch of her small, fragile palm, the comparison between porcelain and marble that crossed your mind regarding yourself and Kōrakuhime returns. Of course, Liliesviel is far more human than your sister, but the sense of fragility is there in both. "Anyway, if you're my Servant you shouldn't be away from my side for very long. It wouldn't do." Lancer looks mildly displeased with the fact that neither of you was flustered by his comment, and gives Liliesviel a nod. For the remainder of the drive to the park, you join Liliesviel in watching the scenery. As you pass through Shinjuku, you get an odd feeling of disorientation, to see a city that you know yourself to be new to, yet have memories of living in. Even having made peace with your identity, moments like these drive home the unpleasant awareness of your own short lifespan. Perhaps you won't be able to bring the Holy Grail War to a satisfactory conclusion, and you'll wind up as an existence of a few weeks, and nothing more; a shadowy reflection of a person, greater in power but infinitely lesser in meaningful substance. To be created and sustained by magic is to be in conflict with the world itself, and as you reflect on this, the buildings outside seem to take on an alien, defensive quality. The familiarity from your memories becomes academic, rather than instinctive, and the city begins to appear foreign. You can't dwell on these gloomy notions, though. They'll only send you into a depression and work against you, you're certain of that. Instead you resolve to put them out of your mind by focusing on Liliesviel's enjoyment of the scenery. There's no existential despair in her eyes. Instead she watches the shops and the passersby, enjoying the commercial displays and strange (to her, at least) people. She sees the city with a wonder that Yumigawa never felt, even as a child, and always envied. Perhaps you dote on those around you more than he, though; you're content to enjoy the scenery vicariously through her.
Soon you arrive at Magical Lunar Kingdom PhantasMoon, located on the outskirts of Tokyo. The park takes up a truly enormous area of ground, with brightly colored tiling seeming to stretch away to the horizon behind the carefully brand-decorated wrought-iron fence that surrounds it. Where most fencing of the type would have spikes, this is tipped with crescent moons. Once parking has been found and you make your way to the main entrance, you arrive at an enormous archway decorated with the words "Magical Lunar Kingdom PhantasMoon" in gold. Four lines, for the four ticket classes, stretch out from the gate, but after Stengel has a word with one of the attendants your party is ushered through without difficulty. Whatever the Einzberns have paid, it's obviously much higher than the average rate.As you walk through the gateway, it's as if you're in a different part of the world entirely. None of the omnipresent skyscrapers of Tokyo are visible on the horizon; there are only the park buildings and the carefully placed landscaping to break the stretch of tiled walkway. Off ahead of you is an enormous ferris wheel, and between you and that huge structure are a number of brightly colored buildings housing indoor attractions. To your right, a range of lower buildings, likely shops and restaurants, extend towards a horizon dominated by a high-flying roller coaster. Most eye-catching of all, though, is the "Palace of the Moon," a fairytale castle done all in white stone, blue rooftops, and gold ornamentation. As you're taking in the sights, Liliesviel pushes a pamphlet with a map and list of attractions into your hand."Look at everything they have here," the girl says excitedly. "Where should we go first, Alberich? A haunted house? That roller coaster? What do you think the Lunar Ascension is?"Unfortunately, not everyone shares Liliesviel's good cheer. Stengel is standing irritably and eyeing the crowd as if searching for potential assailants. Every time one of the park-goers comes too close to Liliesviel, the woman twitches as if tempted to attack. Stachel is by her side, but as still and emotionless as a statue. You're not sure if she'd enjoy this even if Liliesviel were to order it. Lancer has his ever-present smirk, but his eyes are constantly roving, taking in the crowd as if analyzing its members one-by-one. He wasn't lying about lacking interest in the rides. Returning your attention to Liliesviel, you consider her question about the park's attractions.

To be created and sustained by magic is to be in conflict with the world itself, and as you reflect on this, the buildings outside seem to take on an alien, defensive quality. The familiarity from your memories becomes academic, rather than instinctive, and the city begins to appear foreign.Isn't this the most accurate frame of mind we can assume? We aren't human, we're a foreigner in a foreign world and lacking a homeland to call our own. This is the mindset that can make us an interesting "villain" and character. When will we cast off the shackles of what Judas wanted us to be, a "hero" through the human lens of heroism, and become our own being?
>>3771627>We aren't humanConceptually, no. Maybe not. Practically, definitely not, but do we still have the concept "Human"?In our mindset? All too much so.>When will we cast off the shackles of what Judas wanted us to be, a "hero" through the human lens of heroism, and become our own being? When our desire to give Judas the finger outweighs our pride.
>>3771639Disregarding our humanity is the only possible way to disrupt Judas' plans for us. He doesn't care what kind of human we act like, as long as we operate within a human mindset. That's why he gave us human memories. We need to keep that alien, defensive feeling when we see the mundane world. Anything else is just succumbing to the illusion that Judas programmed us to believe.
>>3771627>foreigner in a foreign worldStranger in a Strange Land, Man from Akeldama.
>>3771472>Conceptual Werewolf that becomes stronger by taking in souls Look at me, I am Fenrir now.
>>3771649Are you sure? Because when we talked to him about Tsubaki rejecting her humanity he seemed pretty chill and literally told us that our "fake" memories were something we were supposed to overcome.
>>3771702Tsuabaki's rejection to humanity is just a natural consequence of her negative human experiences. "Overcoming" our human memories still exerts a human influence on our sense of self, using our false memories of humanity as a jumping off point for our self-perception. Even misanthropy is a human concept. I'm arguing for a complete disregard of our false memories and considering them completely irrelevant. If possible, I'd argue for removing those memories entirely.
>>3771649>Disregarding our humanity is the only possible way to disrupt Judas' plans for us.His plan for us is over, anon. By creating a modern hero -- a being with the ability to become a Heroic Spirit in this age -- he has already succeeded.>Just as He chose the manner of His heroism, young man, it is your choice how you make use of that potential. Whether you let Age of Man run its course, open the gate for the return of divinity to the earth, or choose some other path which I have not foreseen, it makes no difference to me. I have already completed my role by the creation of this possibility.
>>3771717I believe Judas told you that your human memories are a guide; a tool to allow you to effectively interface with the world immediately upon your creation. Coming into the world with no memories would leave you as useless as an infant.Even now, if they were excised you would lack enormous amounts of information. You wouldn't have known what an amusement park is, for example, and would lose your understanding of the Japanese language. No basic math skills. Think about trying to function only with the information Alberich has gained during the quest, and you'll see why the artificial memories are so important.>>3771627It is accurate, yes; like existential horror creeping into one's day to day life, it's accurate without being useful. A gloomy fixation born of looking at uncomfortable truths.Basically, I want to know what your end goal is in embracing this philosophy. Putting aside the fact that it's true, what do you intend to use it for?
>>3771723His one stipulation for our creation is that we have human memories. And disregarding those memories is the only way for him to fail his role. Heroism is still a human concept at its core.
>>3771724We already have the bare minimum information needed to operate in this world as a servant, from the Holy Grail.I intend to use an inhuman state of mind to reach our own potential as defined by ourselves and attain true self-actualization, not playing by the rules of Judas, who was originally a human.
>>3771731>I have already completed my role by the creation of this possibility. The possibility existed at some point, so Judas has already won.You can let go, anon. It's over.
>>3771742I still think that the most courageous option is to pursue the truth of our own existence without Judas' falsehoods influencing who Alberich is.
>some players argue which waifu is best>others debate existentialismI love this quest
Here's my argument. If our human memories are demonstrably false, and those false memories have influenced our choices since our creation, then we've been living a false life this whole time. If we can reframe our memories to only include what we've done of our own accord, then we can truly attain self determination as a truly unique existence that represents our true self.
>>3771746>which waifu is bestCirce, hands down but WE NEED TO FUCKING FIND HER AND STOP THIS BABYSITTING BULLSHIT
>>3771750There's no point in denying them though.Yumigawa Rushorou will forever be a part of us.All deleting his memories will do is turn us into a hopelessly autistic retard like Leysritt.

>>3771763Jean-Paul Sartre was an atheist but there are gods in the Nasuverse. checkmate atheists
>>3771746>some players argue which waifu is bestNobody does that.Everyone agrees that Circe is the best and Adelheid is a very very close second. The REAL argument is which of the other girls is the most useless.
>>3771757>>3771838>Players all waifu the heroine that I wrote first, when my writing quality was at its lowest in the questI don't know how to feel about this.
>>3771885First girl wins.
>>3771894I also like Circe but looking back through the quest, I don't see many meaningful interactions with her. It's mostly just her being yandere toward us, making Kenotis for us, and then us saving her at the end of Akeldama.
>>3771885Weirdly enough, it's probably because Circe is a motherly figure to Alberich: she guided him since the beginning, taught him, gifted him things through effort and self-sacrifice, chided him, but also tied him, smothered him, acknowledged him. In a warped way, that is what a mother does. It's an Oedipus complex.
>>3771901Yeah, we didn't interact with her all that much, sadly.I'm sure that will change when we meet again.
>>3771918>Alberich feels some sort of romantic attraction to every female he somewhat considers family>Alberich has killed 2 out of the 3 males that could be considered his familyAlberich please. Well I suppose it's suitably Greek.
>>3771885She is Alberich's literal first love.It doesn't matter how hot the new hotness is, he's not gonna just get over that shit easily and neither are the players if they have souls. To expect us to jump ship after a whole quest of relationship building is kinda absurd.>>3771901>I don't see many meaningful interactions with herI'd point you to this. >>3771918 Circe has done a lot for us, and while Rushrorou never had that one to one sit down like he did with Adelheid in regards to their sense of identity, to say there were not many meaningful interactions is kinda underselling the magnitude of things Circe helped him with and all the little playful moments the two shared when Circe wasn't busy setting things up with the war, something that Rush deeply appreciated.Regardless, I am very eager to see Sweets new writing chops be put to use bringing best girls to life and will continue to shitpost about their arrival in the story until the glorious day of reckoning is upon us.
>>3771939I just wish we weren't so rushed in Akeldama.I would've liked spending a little more time with everyone.
>>3771885It just really works well thematically for the story and Alberich`s character grow. But I would have voted for Lancer back then if I knew it would have been Brynhildr and Odin was Outer Lancer.
>>3771929Reminder that Alberich currently has no male friends. One of the two Rushrorou had is now a girl, and the other is missing.>>3771950It's been a while since I've gone back and read Akeldama, but I remember really liking how fast pace everything was.The updates were quick, The deaths came quicker, and the story being told worked with that feeling.Rather than being able to spend more time with everyone, I just wish we had more data available to plan our next move more efficacy. But maybe that would have made things a bit too easy.
>>3771939I guess this is why I should've followed Nasu's example and introduced all the heroines right at the beginning. No idea how I'd have structured it that way, though. Ah, well.
>>3771971>Shirou was the closest thing Alberich had to a male friend since becoming a Servant
>>3771982Now imagine how Shirou would have felt knowing it.
>>3771979There is no need to lower yourself to such levels of hackery lol. What you have now is fine. I don't see anyone complaining about the lack of waifu wars, and I feel that Alberich is a far stronger character since the player base has their shit together in this regard.
>>3771987Actually, the only other male friend (Matsuda) doesn't count due to being Alberich's brother.Shirou is literally the first male friend Alberich has ever had.And now he needs to kill him.
>>3772008Eh I'd count Matsuda, brother or not. That said, we have no idea where Matusuda is or if he's been...transformed.Matsuda is either gonna be the coolest looking motherfucker in this quest, or he's gonna be turned into a Hag. Having him also be a loli would be too predictable.
>>3772020I highly doubt that Matsuda wanted to become a girl.Regardless, Shirou is still kind of the first male human friend Alberich has ever had, and he does respect the man.Probably even more after the betrayal and their fight, in a way.
>>3772020>HagIf he also ended up as a girl I hoping for him at very least being sukeban. With motorcycle. As a Rider.Powered up by GTO, Cromartie High, Angel Densetsu, Crows and others.
>>3772046>I highly doubt that Matsuda wanted to become a girl.I didn't think that mattered. As for Shirou, while I have no qualms about killing him and his whole family...IF we are able to accomplish our goal without running into him again, I'd be willing to look the other way and let that thread stay untied. But I highly doubt THAT would happen. So he's basically already dead.>>3772059Pic Related?
>>3772059>>3772081Wait no, I forgot Sweets doesn't like to use characters that already exist as portrait art. How about this!If not this then I got nothing. Hag Sukeban is surprisingly hard to find. People love to dress their waifus up as them, but there is very little OC to work with.
I highly doubt that Matsuda is going to be a female Servant.
>>3772105I also highly doubt that Matsuda is gonna end up a female Servant. Hell, I would rather him not be a female servant. But since my diabolical mind has already thought up the idea, we might as well take it to its logical conclusion while we wait for the next update.
>>3771979Next time (please, do not apply dream crusher) just mention the waifus and leave characters like autistic immortal berserker and one-eyed old norse god out of the initial character introduction.
>>3772930>Next time?I have seen the future, there is no next time.
>>3772930I'm not sure I follow you. Are you saying that when I introduce a heroine she should be the only other character in the scene? By next time, do you mean the next time I introduce a major character?I don't remember Berserker being present for anyone's introduction, other than Lumenza's, so I'm not sure what you're getting at there.
>>3772970I think he's saying you should start the quest over from Akeldama but have Achilles manifest out of nowhere to interrupt every single character introduction and kill us.

"I know all about you, you bastard. You passed over a beautiful little girl to marry that saggy-breasted hag of a wife instead! Why did you do it? How can you live with yourself?""Somehow, this isn't what how I thought our moral confrontation would go," the man mutters. He sounds oddly disappointed, with a hand to his temple as if to support his head."Well," you demand, "are you blind? How can you justify this failure of aesthetics? Even if you had to give up on Liliesviel's sister for some reason, there was Saber, who has a beauty of her own. Even Tohsaka Rin was at least slender; and yet you... you... what's wrong with you?" "Look, I don't think this is really appropriate right now," Emiya protests. "Can we discuss the Grail? Maybe we can still come to some kind of understanding." Behind him, the man's companions are giving you mixed expressions. Rin stares at you with a mixture of shock and disgust, as if she's just encountered some entirely new form of filth. Sakura glares at you, more spirit in her eyes than you've ever seen before; she looks ready to kill. Rider, however, is even more out of character. >>3774236>>3774247Yeah, I think it must have been that coffee flavoured kiss.
>>3774247>>3774252I mean I understand the logic. We did kiss Adelheid like four times to Circe's once, but I blame that more on circumstance than actual displays of Alberich's affection. We were simply given more opportunities to bump gums with Adelheid cause she was always asking for it. She was a truly devious young woman.
>>3774275It also didn't help that she burned up more Mana than Circe leading to more Mana Transfers.
>>3774252>>3774275Personally, I prefer the Circe kiss to any of Adelheid's.Though I guess the blood and open wounds might have ruined it a little for Alberich.

>>3774236>>3774247>>3774282Well Circe does look older than Adelheid so, on an appearance-based chart without any other deciding factors, it makes sense.

>>3774281Nah, Adelheid's kisses always tasted like blood too. I think it a matter of point on a board more than anything.I do like Circe's kiss a lot though story wise, it's a real shame she had to sit out the rest of that fight. Her catching Extra Assassin in amber and call Judas out on his bullshit made up for it though.>>3774290That doesn't matter.Alberich's experiences in Akeldama is what made him a pedo to begin with, not the other way around. If Lancer wasn't such a fuck up and Truvi wasn't such a bitch, Alberich might be more into Tiddy. If Kikuko wasn't a manipulative thot, he might be into japanese girls more than european girls. If he had any sort of interactions with women who didn't look like they were under the age of 20, he might be into hags. His circumstances informed what he was into, not the other way around. >>3774304If Emiya's daughter had blonde hair and blue eyes you KNOW he'd be all over that shit.Adelheid's kisses and Charisma ruined him for marriage. He's a toy to Aryan sluts now.
>>3774318I honestly wonder how Alberich will act around the two of them now that he's strong as fuck and a Servant himself.I wonder if he'd be more proactive in seeking and giving affection to either of them. It's a reunion everyone is looking forward to.
>>3774340>Dead End involves Ayaka dying due to an indirect Mana Drain
>>3774282I'm sorry you feel that way, anon. Unintended consequences in a branching narrative can be frustrating, I know. Believe me, if I'd known stopping Saber would lock me into the Rin route I wouldn't have made that choice.>>3774318It just isn't Kaori's time to shine yet.
>>3774347>Dead End >implying that it wasn't Circe's plan>implying she doesn't just intend to make us into her Servant when the contract is broken
>>3774340You talk as if we aren't in control of his actions. I don't know about you, but the next time we see one of them I'm gonna write in to pick em up and give her kisses.>>3774347And probably get a Dead End for it exactly.>>3774359>It just isn't Kaori's time to shine yet.>Implying she'll GET a time to do anything if her dad keeps getting in our way.
>>3774368We're in control of his actions to a degree, but Alberich is kind of his own character. Also, if Circe was nearby and we had no master, she'd probably just cheat and make us her Servant or temporarily bind us to a place like Medea did to Kojiro. No escape.
>>3774378Oh yeah definitely. That said, you can not stop me from commanding him from tackle hugging his wives. How he interprets our commands is where the fun part comes in.
>>3774390Poor Ayaka. She never had a chance.>Saber informs you that there are enemy servants nearby>they reveal themselves>hold on why does he look so genuinely happy?>why is he approaching them without manifesting his armour or sword?>why is he hugging them?>why is he kissing them?>am I being NTRd by lolis again?
>>3774398Once we get Circe back we could always pull a Kikuko on the actual Rushorou. Make him fall in love with Ayaka and be the man she needs. Hell, we could use any cute boy we find on the street. We'll build the perfect husband for our Master for being such a good sport about everything. On a completely different note, we haven't run into Assassin yet.Any ideas who they might be?Any hopes for who it might be?
>>3774412>any ideasNone>any hopesHassan of Serenity.
>>3774412AlsoI don't think she wants us to give her the inferior copy of ourselves. She's fighting a losing battle, but she's going to compete in the Alberichbowl nonetheless.Ganbatte, Ayaka!AnywayAlberich's Aesthetics seem to be a strange tier list.C-tier can be considered prettyB-tier can be considered beautiful A-tier can be considered extremely beautiful S-tier is "I want to protect that smile" tier
>>3774427What's strange about that?
>>3774443Alberich has never met a woman he considers completely unattractive. He went from having no feelings of attraction to any female to being at some level, physically attracted to every woman he has ever met.Which is hilarious.
>>3774416I also have no ideas, and if there were any hints left then I haven't caught them.I'm hoping for First Hassan, because why not at this point.
>>3774457He lives in an anime world buddy.Anyone of any importance is gonna be a little hot.
>>3774465>First Hassan Sweets hates King Hassan.Serenity would be nice because she's effectively a free ally because Alberich's poison immunity would kind of immediately sway her. Also, she's a very attractive young girl.>>3774469I guess.
>>3774457>He went from having no feelings of attraction to any female to being at some level, physically attracted to every woman he has ever met.All the named female characters he's met have been, at some level, objectively attractive. Having a type doesn't mean he can't acknowledge that. Plus, the fact that Rushorou never had romantic feelings means that Alberich's attraction is easily the most unformed aspect of his character.Meta reason is that I feel like if I actually wrote off an archetype as unattractive to him, I'd have even more posts like >>3774282 complaining about it.
>>3774514So what, Alberich's Aesthetics is subject to change as he develops more as a person?>metareasonYou aren't wrong.
>>3774527>So what, Alberich's Aesthetics is subject to change as he develops more as a person?Yes.
I'm going to tell you folks right now, Assassin is either an existing Servant in a class they haven't been shown in previously (as with Outer Berserker and Akeldama Assassin) or a heroic spirit who hasn't previously appeared in Fate. Speculation is great and all, but I'm not going to pull someone out of FGO whole cloth again.
>>3774487>Sweets hates King Hassan. So do I, please give me the chance to murder him.>Serenity would be nice because she's effectively a free ally because Alberich's poison immunity would kind of immediately sway her.Boooooooo, we have enough free allies. Give me someone interesting to kill and vore!>Also, she's a very attractive young girlYou aren't wrong but we have enough of those too don't you think? She doesn't even add any variety to the current array of body types. >>3774537Oh BOY! Sucks we won't be able to guess, but that's probably the most exciting way to do it.Can't wait to see who you come up with since it seems you haven't made up your mind yet.
>>3774553>spoilerHey now! I've known who all the outer servants were since the beginning of Awakening Mirror. I'm just being vague to give you more room to speculate.
>>3774553>voreAnon, that's Dark Sakura's thing, show a little dignity.>doesn't add any varietyShe's brown.Sweets has obviously already decided though, lmao.
>>3774557ok ok, I believe you. I look forward to them showing up either way.Update when?>>3774568>She's brownShe's DARK GREY and that's not what I was talking about.Getting some sistahs in here would be very appreciated Sweets. wink wink.
>>3774577>spoilerHe already said no existing Assassins ,so Nito is out.
>>3774577>>3774579Inb4 Assassin Medea with Double Summon as a personal skill.
>>3774537>an existing Servant in a class they haven't been shown in previouslyI can`t believe it is Assassin of Kingdom Mordred with Helm of Hidden Infidelity giving her Presence Concealment: EX!Why would you do Saber so dirty? How treacherous!
>>3774579I'm sure there are other brown assassins throughout history that could use some representation in our anime fanfiction.
>>3774605>>3774607>both ideas for another Servant in a different class will cause a large amount of suffering for ArturiaMedea is the #1 Saberfag.Mordred would just be the razors sprinkled on top of Saber's sundae made of suffering and self-loathing.
>>3774607>>3774724>MordredGod, Fates gives me fucking heartburn. Someone get me some tums.
>>3774607>>3774724>>3774764Oh god>Assassin Mordred with EX Presence Concealment saw the entire fight between the Sabers occur with Arturia acting like a massive cunt despite us seemingly trying our best to have an honourable duel .It's probably unlikely to be the case, but my sides will be blasted wide open if it is.
>>3774781>mordred tries to fuck us to get back at daddy
>>3774807>Mordred admitting to being female
>>3774828>implying she wouldn't just say she's gay
>>3774807Mordred would probably be pretty fucking interested in what the fuck just happened because I imagine Arturia when she was alive never ever showed that much emotion. She just randomly started shit talking the guy who was pretty clearly confused about why she could possibly be angry, then did the equivalent of letting her enemy bleed out by using a dishonourable tactic instead of finishing them off.>Mordred is stalking us >Mordred is literally stalking us right now through the amusement park with Presence Concealment: EXWorry.
I highly doubt that the Assassin is Mordred.
>>3774862Of course, we're just having fun here anon.Don't be such a buzzkill, ok?
>>3774862Probably not but the parallels betwen albrich and mordred could probably make a interesting interaction
>>3774885Ah yes, along with Matsuda we can invite her to the "I fucking hate you so much, dad." club.
Hold on.If we have the Life Story of the servants who's souls we absorb, would we be able to recognise anyone from said story?Because you know who Achilles met in life, right?
How would Alberich get along with the Knights of the Round Table, do you think? You know, outside of a grail war where everyone is by default trying to shiv each other.
>>3775125Speaking of the Round Table, how many Knights of the Round were there? Some say it numbered from a dozen to over a hundred (because everyone wanted their own special OC as a part of Arthurian Lore to represent their homelands)
>>3775139Fate has 13 knights.
On a scale of 1-10 on the "what the fuck is this grail war" scale, where do the Inner and Outer Grail Wars of Tokyo rank?Assume a 1 is a totally by the books war and a 10 is "who the fuck summoned a Beast?"
>>3774412>Once we get Circe back we could always pull a Kikuko on the actual Rushorou.>Make him fall in love with Ayaka and be the man she needs. Hell, we could use any cute boy we find on the street.>We'll build the perfect husband for our Master for being such a good sport about everything.that's not how it works, you need a true knightand we killed roland. so it's Artoria or bust>>3774537So, assuming Assassin's an existing hero, and was good enough to hide from Odin, and is already likely to be a high-class hero...It could be Heracles.>>3775016>>3775029You have interesting ideas.>>3775125Pretty badly, if Artoria holds a grudge. Mordred might be okay with us, though.
>>3775285>Inner Grail War10. It was a fake war with the purpose of making new heroes.>Outer Grail WarStarted off at 1, quickly rose to 7 when five new Servants came out of nowhere.
>>3775347>there's no way around the Ayaka problemHonestly, when we've won this war I swear to God we're gonna need a colossal palace just to minimize all the girls interacting with eachother.Entering Tsubaki's section is probably a bounded field death trap without Magic Resistance: A or being Caster yourself.Adelheid would blow up any servant or visitor dumb enough to try waking her up.Circe's section is probably bounded fields everywhere and also summoned animals everywhere, don't eat the food.Lily's section is probably fairly normal, though she will still probably kill any trespasser, or worse, depending on whether or not she gets the Third. Or one of her maids will kill you anyway. Honestly, the only section that you might not die in is Ayaka's section,.Kikuko can be an apprentice maid or something. I suppose we could give the Edelfelt a small section to stay in when they visit, if we get an alliance with them.I swear this Castle/Palace just by itself will be worthy of being an A++ Fortress Noble Phantasm in our legend.
>>3776141>a colossal palace>palace>singularYou think too small. We'll have to give them different planets to be completely certain.
>>3776170Planets are out of our league.I don't want to get fucked by Types. Also, that's just inconvenient, so long as we're strong enough to break up any potential fights, it will be fine. We'll need A rank or higher magic resistance to get involved if a Caster is involved though.Maybe raise our strength to make sure we can physically restrain Adelheid. We could just use our magic though.
>>3776187We took Mr Bones Wild Ride, Anon.
>>3776141>>3776141>We get a country-sized living castle+palace like the one in Castelvania (The memory of JUSTinian's indestructible cathedral combined with Alberich's need of keeping his waifus from killing each other (and him) and pleasing each of their completely different preferences in architecture and art results in Alberich hiding inside Tsubaki's giantic pile of manga, comics and other books, reading one of them out of boredom and finding about the castle of Dracula in the "Castlevania" franchise, an ever-changing city-sized living indestructible fortress totally subservient to his master's will, also customizable in any way possible).
>>3776226Picrelated.>>3776227Alberich's Castle is just going to be an absolute Clusterfuck, not unlike a typical Castlevania Map, I suppose. God, trying to infiltrate it would be hell.I imagine the average maid/butler employment/life expectancy would be about a week.
>>3776245Actually, let's rank sections of the castle based on least to most danger to attendants. It's probably something like>Ayaka>Lily>Circe>Adelheid>Tsubaki Matsuda's section will be a studio apartment sized outbuilding. It's what he would prefer.
>>3776274While everyone after Lily are dozens of times more dangerous.I don't know if Circe would be so pissy at random maids if they presented no threat.Adelheid is kind of temperamental and will explode anyone trying to wake her upTsubaki is a demon that kind of enjoys eating people.
>>3776289I didn't notice "attendants".>Ayaka>Lily = Circe>Adelheid>TsubakiAlthough Tsubaki can be defanged by stuffing her with meat.Circe would absolutely kill some attendants if she got the idea that they had any affection for their handsome and virile emperor.
>>3776310Honestly, I think they might all go for the kill on somebody if they considered them a potential new love rival.Maybe not Ayaka.Maybe.
>>3776310If attendants are going to die, then why not invest in some construct servants like golems, or something?
>>3776380>golem gains Desire just by looking at us
>>3776380So you're saying we need to arrange for Avicebron for the next war?
>>3776393Or for a new servant (small s).If literally everything goes to plan, we could set up our own Apocrypha and the winning pair will get to serve us. More likely than not they'll refuse and we'll get a free meal, but if the winner accepts...
>>3776399>win grail war>"congratulations, you work for me now."Also we could probably just absorb servants abilities/skills by having Ayaka target the losing servant in a fight. With that many absorptions we'd beat anyone, honestly.
>>3776380We can just use Einzbern Homonculi if you want.Expendable and aesthetic.
Anyway, if we get Lily the third magic and incarnate everyone, should we take a trip to Germany for a hostile takeover on the Einzbern? They are a good first target to take over.
>>3776574Hostile takeover is a really rough term anon, we'll just show them our splendid ruling skills after Atch dies in an unfortunate and tragic train/plane accident with no survivors.
>>3776588Acht is a magical golem/AI thing.Honestly, I say hostile takeover, but if Lily gets the Third, she's pretty much immediately in charge of everything.
>>3776604And also, even if they for some reason resisted the takeover, 5 Servants is enough to pretty much overkill anyone. Also, is Sweets actually dead?
>>3776620I think Sweets tripped down the stairs and died.
>>3776620He got Shadowed alongside Fuyuki residents while watching Lost Butterfly.
>>3776635Damn.>>3776639Don't be such a fool, Sweets would never job that hard. I do wonder how the Akeldama siblings would do against the Shadow. They weren't summoned by the grail so it wouldn't be super effective on them and Alberich can likely damage it with his own imaginary numbers or his sword.
>>3776604If the Gil tier Saber with an instakill sword, instakill cape and perma allied with five Servants tells you Atch died in a train accident you believe him and keep doing your Einzbern stuff in silence.
>>3776722We just need them for a few more guards/maids for the super castle palace. Honestly, they've got far better odds of surviving than mundane humans.
Wake up, Sweets.
This damn amusement park is going to be the death of us all.
>>3776790Do homunculi count as humans? If not, they could survive the begining of the New AoG if we rush it instead of doing the "conquer the world, start a world wide religion that praises all gods (and us maybe), bring back all pantheons slowly" plan.
>>3776790Honestly, the "danger level" thing is just a meme. I don't think any of our friendswould kill a servant just for appearing in their wing of the colossal castle/palace (except our chuneet oni sister, but only if we don't work to improve her attitude towards humans and her diet).
>>3777104If we bring back the AoGs it's less of a all humans die thing than it is a "hope you can survive the superapocalypse tearing human civilization as you know it apart."Magi would do fairly well honestly.Homonculi are also noteably superhuman and don't really count as humans due to their nature.
>>3777125You're seriously underestimating just how terrible all of Alberich's friends actually are.You manage to fuck up and piss Circe/Adelheid/Lily off, you're probably dead.Tsubaki might just eat you anyway.
On the topic of the impossibly large gold and marble palace, and kingdom/empire...Will there be a line of succession? I imagine that since we're just a single person, we may need to delegate certain tasks to our friends.
>>3777203I mean, we have two incredibly capable advisors who can help us on that end.As for a line of succession, I believe the next in line to the throne would be our first born child, with whoever that ends up being.
>>3777221>first born child, with whoever that ends up being. And that is the part I worry the most. I'd imagine an entire civil war plotline in the making because our partners want that bedding time first to get a one-up on the others.
>>3777234We'll just have to teach our kids not to civil war.Or, you know...Never die.
I can't believe sweets is fucking dead
>>3778132I'm sure that at one point we'll get bored and retire off to an island forever. >>3778184Show some faith, Sweets is commited. This isn't the first time he has inexplicably vanished for a few days. Amusement Park is hell.
>>3778188>retire off to an island foreverGood taste.>Amusement Park is hell.*laughs in moviefag*
>>3778184nah maybe we just need to set up some kind of summoning catalyst to summon him
>>3778195here, use this fragile virginal loli dream
>>3778195Here this should do it.
>>3777248That's entirely possible and definitely preferable.
There's a problem with killing Shirou, Rider and Rin that I just realised. We are fucked if they are right and Angra is still about. That's immediate Dark Sakura as he'd just take advantage of Sakura's despair and contract her, if he can.The same thing might occur should we just attempt to go and kill her first, considering that she can pretty much come back from the dead with Angra's help. This might not be as clear cut as we think. Also, where are you, Sweets?
Remember when we took a boat ride?
>>3778321Luckily, we don't have to worry about Dark Sakura because of Shirou.
>>3778426Am I the only one that thinks rule breaker looks like utter garbage?
>>3778426You know, unless we fucking kill him.>>3778432Yes, Rule Breaker has a great design.Anyway For the latest stupid shitRichard the Lionheart has EX agility.
>>3778457>Richard the Lionheart has EX agility. It's not just a really weird way of representing B~A++?
>>3778460Nope.It's fucky, but it's EX.
>>3778457You know, if ex represents a skill or or feature that cannot be measured on the normal scale than wouldn't a servant that can't move at all technically have ex agility?
>>3778473That's not really how EX should work. Also that would be represented by - or "None"EX is "exceeds limits of system**star* is "can't be measured numerically"
>>3778470...But it says "B~A++" right there. Why must the sheets lie to us? What did we ever do to deserve it?
>>3778491It's basically just that he's normally B but can get faster and faster and at full power is EX.Richard is a fucking irritatingly broken servant for no reason. He's not even close to the Age of Gods and IRL kind of never accomplished anything.
The only way to Bring Sweets back is to post more Illya.
>>3769675>says this>does thisSWEEEEEETS.
>>3778503To be fair the lionheart is the poster boy of the crusades, and he's not THAT broken
>>3779064He's literally an ungodly fusion of Jets, Iskandar and Arturia, with Achilles tier speed and the ability to take on Serious Gil. He's fucking broken.
>>3778996It can't be helped.
>2 updates in 8 daysRIP
>>3779161This amusement park is death.Einzbern are cursed.
>>3779092Alberich: [eating breakfast]>Lionheart suddenly appears.L: Fear my EX agility villain, your reign of terror is over!A: EX agility you say....mmmmmm [drops Kellogs and draws Heiling].
>>3779191more like >*Lionheart teleports behind Alberich*>"PSSSSSH NOTHIN PERSONELL">*spams 20 Excaliblasts one after the other*20 fucking Excaliblasts.
>>3779196Tell that to our suit of indestructible Achilles leather.
>>3779199a Divine Construct would go straight through it.
So, how are you guys holding up?I hope Sweets is just really busy again and shows up soon.
Any ideas for upgrading Kenotis? Nothing we've absorbed so far seems to have much synergy with it. We could always just dump raw power into it but that seems less efficient. I'd really like to bring it up to par with HGS and our stats at some point.
>>3779241Out of any Noble Phantasms?Pelt of the Nemean Lion?Maybe just try to make it bigger?I got nothing.
>>3779254I really liked the idea to combine it with Andreias Amarantos, making our body invincible by gaining the ability to turn parts of our body into a portal into the imaginary realm at will, but Sweets interpreted that as turning our entire body into a portal to the imaginary realm indefinitely. Other than that I've got nothing either.
>>3779254Or maybe the answer is to just neglect it and keep it as is.
>>3779262Andreias is better put on our armour, I think.Honestly, it would be nice if we could use some of the Akeldama Servant NPs.Notably, the Helm of Darkness and The Winged Sandals of Divine Mobility could be decent additions to Kenotis.A shame.
>>3779280I wonder if we could use the energy of a slain servant to combine our cloak with our armor?
>>3779289That's just wasteful.Anyway, the absolute best addition to Kenotis would be Hippolyta's Goddess of War: War God's Military Sash
>>3779317I should explain further.>Remodeled from an off-shoot of her father, Ares, as a war banner into a sash. The user’s divinity, strength, endurance, agility, and magical energy scores greatly increase. As the mystery in today’s society is weak, it cannot be used to exceed a certain point.Basically, by giving it a link to the Gods in the Reverse Side, it could be able to surpass Hippolyta's use of it.Also considering that it's power is enough to allow Hippolyta to cause an eruption with a single punch. It's pretty fucking broken already.Strange Fake is such a meme series.
>>3779333We can't really expect to gain access to that
>>3779339Sure, but that would be the absolute best if we could take any NP.As for this war, we can speculate, but there's no real point. The known NPs so far don't do anything for us.
As much as I miss the updates in this quest I think I miss the lively discussion even more
>>3779369Same.The lively discussion comes with the updates and the new revelations. There's only so many "Ayaka is actually evil" conversations we can have.
>>3779374What other magecraft would be worth studying? It seems pretty murky and ill-defined as far as I'm aware.
>>3779379Modern Magecraft is kinda shit and if we bring back the AoG will be irrelevant.Sweets please come back.
>>3779388Our take on modern magecraft isn't shit at all. We restrained a servant with top tier stats using our imaginary element magecraft.
I think one barrier keeping Sweets from updating enough is his need to write extremely long updates. Shorten them up a bit, something is better than nothing and it actually gives us more input on the direction of the quest too.
>>3779390Imaginary Element magecraft is anti-Servant though. And it's only thanks to our Noble Phantasm we can do shit like that.
>>3779400Exactly. So we should take advantage of it.
>>3779402But that doesn't mean Modern Magecraft isn't shit though. We don't even really use magic like the typical modern magi anyway. We should just practice with our current magecraft.Maybe ask Tsubaki for pointers.
>>3779406The only magic we know how to use, outside of our noble phantasms, is modeled after human magecraft. I agree that we should improve our current magecraft but learning more would be useful too.
Maybe we should study Vaisset's notes?
>>3779415After reading the rest of the books, of course.
>>3779408Actually, we're using Circe's chantless technique to use it.Anyway, learning more magecraft is worthless to us considering our Elements are all super fucky and the majority of modern magic tells us to go fuck ourselves regardless.Sakura would be the best teacher for us, ironically. But there are MULTIPLE reasons we can't ask her.>>3779415Might be a good idea.
>>3779415That elemental conversion magic would be interesting, HGS' ability to manifest imaginary elements might be the missing link to make it feasible.
>>3779418We still only learned how to shape our elemental magic after reading a human magecraft book.
>>3779425Basic principles from a beginners book, not advanced stuff, honestly. Actually bothering to learn anything not directly relevant for our magic is pointless.
>>3779438Are you implying that Swwets put some books in there as red herrings?
>>3779452He might have.
>>3779438I think you're being too dismissive. Obviously we can use modern magecraft for inspiration for our own weird magical abilities.
>>3779459Possibly, but other than Vaisset's notes, nothing is that great. We can ask Tsubaki for pointers and we'll eventually get Circe back...IF WE EVER GET OUT OF THIS FUCKING AMUSEMENT PARK.
>>3778199Is that... there's something.. drawing me up. Out of the black, and towards consciousness, what...>>3778737Yes, I'm- I'm beginning to come back to myself, but it's as if there's something... something still there, separating me, some impenetrable divide between mere existence and manifestation.
>>3779479Jesus Christ anon, this is a blue board.>>3779465Here, it's the best I got.
>>3779485I'm not dead! I feel happy! I think I'll go for a walk!>>3779479This is a blue board, you idiot!Well, joking around aside I'm back and writing now. >>3779399One barrier keeping Sweets from updating is getting laid up sick for a week. Why? Who gets this sick in August? Who knows, but it's kept me off the computer for the most part.As for the time it takes me to write, most of my "extremely long updates" are the product of me sitting down and writing for 3-4 hours of dedicated focus. The delay around that 3-4 hour period is just me working out my other life stuff so I can dedicate that time.
I forgot I also have this.>>3779489Gureato.
>>3779438It's worth remembering that nothing advanced is going to be written down in books. Advanced magic is all kept secret by the various magus lineages, to prevent its being weakened by wide knowledge. Books can teach you underlying principles, but you have to formulate the actual mysteries yourself. This is what happened with elementalism. You learned how elemental manipulation works from the book, and then reached your own form of it by application of those principles. If you had instead been taught a preexisting chant for "fireball" or some other elemental form, it would have been weakened by your knowledge.
>>3779507I see.So pretty much everything aside from Vaisset's notes are probably just the very basics.
Man, what happened to the me who could stay up until 3 in the morning doing hourly updates? I miss being that guy.
>>3779886He got hit by a truck and teleported to a fantasy world where he can indulge his sexual desires with the bodies of numerous millennia old lolis.
>>3779909Oh, it's edging anon. Haven't seen you post since before I got sick. No, I've never been hit by a truck. It's weird to track the way my writing habits have changed since starting this, though.
"I wonder," you reply, taking a look through the pamphlet. Unfortunately, there isn't much detail about the rides there. There's a list of names, with locations marked out on the fold-out map, but the only things the guide's writers went into detail regarding are the restaurants and the story of the park's mascot, a vampire princess turned magical girl. There's plenty on those subjects, gushing reviews praising the no-doubt overpriced snacks and paragraph after paragraph explaining the princess' struggle to restore the kingdom of the vampires by fighting earthly evil, but nothing in the way of telling you what the Lunar Ascension ride might be. It seems that if you want to satisfy Liliesviel's curiosity, and your own mounting interest, you'll just have to take a look."It doesn't seem to say anything about it here. Let's go and see what it is then, shall we?" You give Liliesviel a smile as you point out the mysterious ride's location on the map."Sure! Stachel, Stengel, Otto, come on," she says, pointing excitedly in the direction of the attraction. "We're going to see what the Lunar Ascension is."So the five of you set off for the ride, making your way with relative ease, as it isn't as crowded as Stengel had made it sound. Aside from occasionally having to jostle by a family or oblivious young couple, you don't have much trouble with the other attendees. The park's size and layout are more troublesome. It's a huge place, and the walkways seem to have been arranged almost at random, so that you're frequently checking and re-checking the map to keep track of your location and goal. Eventually you do arrive, though, and discover the nature of the Lunar Ascension. It's an exceedingly tall white tower, with vertical rails attached to the side and a block of seats shaped like a cartoon rocket on the rails. From what you can see, about twelve people sit on these seats, hanging in the open air, as the rocket climbs the tower. From the name, you would have expected there to be a model of the moon at the top of the rocket's ascent, but there isn't any; just the metal pillar and the rocket. At the base of the ride is a small fence and gate, with an attendant letting people in one at a time from the line, which isn't too long at the moment."Ah, I see you've found us a viewing platform," Lancer remarks. "Lovely work, my boy. Once you've gotten up to the top of that and had a look at the scenery, I'm sure you'll be able to find our destination." You send him an irritated look, but Stengel chuckles in spite of her usually formal demeanor. Perhaps her dislike of you takes precedence over her formality, or maybe the deadpan line caught her off guard. Either way, it's a surprise to hear the stonefaced maid let out quiet laugh at your expense.
In spite of Lancer's dry contempt for the attraction, the five of you line up and you're soon on the ride. The thing slowly climbs the tower, and you have to admit as it rises that the view is rather nice. The grounds of the park are laid out in a great circle, with the lunar castle at the center, and the buildings, trees, and tile all form a pleasing pattern of curves spreading outward when seen from above. Of course, you'd need to rise to double the height of this tower to see the entire park properly, but all the same the view is pleasant. As it reaches the top, the stylized metal rocket comes to a halt, and you begin to wonder if Lancer was right. There really doesn't seem to be any more to this ride than a viewing platform.Suddenly the seats jerk, all at once, and sparks fly from hidden machinery against the rails. There's a terrific din of grinding metal, and the sparks are followed by s plume of black smoke. Then the cartoon rocket is dropping like a stone, and Liliesviel lets out a shriek of terror. You have to move, or the impace will likely kill her! You bring your arm up, beginning to bend the steel restraining bar out of the way, and then-Just before the seats impact the ground and, the rocket suddenly comes to a smooth halt. The steel bars locking you into your seats rise, and everyone is off the ride in a moment. The drop and mechanical failure, apparently, were all part of the show. All that's there to show of what you were about to do is an oddly shaped dent in one of the steel bars."I was so frightened!" Liliesviel's high, German voice rings out, and to your surprise she runs over and clings to you, as if for protection, as soon as you're off the ride. The girl seems to be trying to contain tears, too, and there's nothing for it but to stroke her hair and murmur reassurances to her."There, there," you say, awkwardly trying to think of how one should go about comforting a frightened girl. "It was only part of the ride; and even if it weren't, I would've made sure you were safe. Everything is just fine, Liliesviel." She seems to take heart at this, and for a while longer you go on stroking her hair and feeling her small arms around your waist. At the same time, you watch bemusedly as Stengel gives the ride's attendant a tongue-lashing fit to make any man pale. What were they doing, she asks, putting up such a psychologically dangerous contraption and luring innocent girls in with the appearance of safety? How can this man walk with his head high, she wonders, when he inflicts such emotional abuse on his customers? She continues in this vein for some time, and the attendant goes blue in the face. He seems to recede, as if trying to take shelter in his own clothing. Come to think of it, it seems as if there was another female voice screaming just beside Liliesviel. You wonder if Stengel doesn't have another reason, besides her protective feelings towards her mistress, for her anger.
"Where would you like to go next, Liliesviel," you ask, once she's recovered from her sudden fright and gotten ahold of herself. "I'm sure not all of the rides here are as shocking as that one.""Thank you," she says softly, smiling up at you as she straightens her dress and hair. "Let's try the carousel. We went by it on the way here, remember?"Accordingly, the next ride you visit is the carousel: going up and down and around in a circle while riding a statue of a horse mounted to a pole. It's excruciatingly boring, but Liliesviel seems to enjoy it and that's the main thing. Considering how sheltered her life seems to have been, that supposed failure was probably the first time she's had to confront personal danger. Not exactly what one wants from a vacation, you're sure. Still, there's not much enjoyment for you in an attraction like this one. After the carousel ride comes to an end, you decide to...>[ ] Suggest another attraction to visit (Write in what you're looking for) (Pride)>[ ] Let Liliesviel decide. I was going to put the rest of your day at the amusement park in this update, but after making you folks wait I decided to post this rather than stretch my hiatus out another day. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

>>3780146>>3780163>How to die horribly in one simple step>>3780114Well, that is if this is a timeline where Tsukihime occured in addition to FSN, which official material is allergic to.Also, considering that Tsukihime was released (and probably set) in 2000, they might not even be that young (though there is an indeterminate amount of time before their reunion at the end of Arc's route)Also, actually having to deal with the Dead Apostle Ancestors is a fucking pain.
>>3780197>Also, actually having to deal with the Dead Apostle Ancestors is a fucking pain. It's a good thing that Alaya has probably dealt with the most problematic ones, like Nrvnqsr and such.We know at least that Primate Murder is Beast IV being controlled by seven Counter Guardians and Roa got killed permanently by Edgemond.
>>3780234Depends if we're going with the FGO lore or not.Considering that FGO is seperate from all the other timelines to a huge degree and constantly breaks lore for no discernible reason, we probably aren't. (Also, FSN can't occur in the same world as GO)Hell, Jack and Jeanne shouldn't be summonable at all because they kind of aren't on the throne anymore.Stheno and Euryale are just straight up super dead.Timeline purging is something that kind of removes some the point of Archer's character and Counter Guardians as a whole. It's utterly fucking ridiculous.God I hate FGO.
>>3780255>Depends if we're going with the FGO lore or not.I sure hope not.So that invalidates Edgemond.
>>3780268Roa isn't actually that big a threat unless he was turned by Arcuied anyway.Edmond killing him for good is just some infuriating fan service bullshit.
Are We Still On 魔法月王国ファンタズムーン?
But seriously, what are the odds that out of all of Tokyo, we end up going to the one amusement park that just happens to be inexplicably based on Arcuied in her magical girl form?...Zelretch.
On the topic, where would Young Arcueid rank on Alberich's Aesthetics?Looks like a pretty clear cut S to me.
>>3780331Textbook case here. Easy S
>>3780331>Smoli>Blonde Hair>Vaugely European As far as Alberich is concerned that'a solid S Rank right there.
>>3780335>>3780360Red eyes, too.
>>3780368Eye color seems to be less important.Adelheid has blue, Lili has Red.They both in S rank.
>>3780371Red matches Alberich's eye colour though, which is always nice.Honestly, I like Circe's spooky iridescent eyes the most, personally.
>>3780090Different timeline. In this world, she's an anime character.>>3780268>that invalidates Edgemond. If the Count of Monte Cristo were summoned as a Servant in my quest, he'd look more like the version from Gankutsuou.>>3780301You're still at the amusement park, yes.>>3780331Solid S-Tier. No doubt about it.
>>3780420How about Altera Larva? And would Artoria Lily get S-tier?
>>3780432>Artoria LilyShe looks exactly like Saber, the only difference is in personality. Same A-Tier as before.>Altera LarvaB-Tier, right next to Kaori.
>>3780437What about Medea Lily?
>>3780447Imma guess A-Teir.
>>3779932>[ ] Let Liliesviel decide. (Compassion)Wow, Alberich didn't see that coming? I guess Rushorou has never been to an amusement park.>>3780447I suspect A-tier.
>>3780495Rushorou is the kind of guy to exhaustively complete every task he can for the day and then stare at a wall until it's time to sleep. Unless his parents are getting worried that is in which case he'll dedicate an hour to pretending to have interests.
>>3780515He wouldn't go of his own accord, certainly, but I thought that maybe his parents had taken him to one in such an episode of "let's try to make our son have fun". Apparently not.
>>3780515>>3780519We need to track down our more autistic human self and try to help him become an actual human being.I wonder what Shirou would think if he knew Alberich's whole story. The two are kind of similar, if you take Rushorou's memories into account. Especially with both of them basically being empty as humans before a grail war changed them, both physically and mentally. The difference is that Alberich actually successfully managed to protect everyone he cared about in Akeldama.
>>3780447A-Tier>>3780495No, he never has.
Can't wait to win this war and fucking destroy those Clocktower assholes.Should we go direct or should we cause a civil war and have them tear each other asunder?Maybe set them against the Church in a full scale war by falseflagging? Not really related, but Takeuchi's tracing has gotten to the point where Waver was actually a Saberface the entire time.Who knew?
>>3780842>destroy those Clocktower assholes. Why would we do that?
>>3780866Because they are a potential threat? Also loot.Free Mystic Codes are always nice.
>>3780842>>3780867>not taking over the clock towershig to the dig
>>3780971>wanting to be in charge of the modern magiIf there's one group that you don't want to keep around as the immortal godking of the planet, it's the gaggle of autistic retards that will devote centuries of generations to attempting to become omnipotent.
>>3780867>"Dudes let's bring back the gods!"Why?>"Lol, cause it would be SICK! Fuck humanity, bros!">"Dudes, let's start a war with the clock tower!">Why?>"Because they might attack us first dude, we need to kill them before they have a chance to break the NAP, dude!"
>>3780992So you want to keep the factions that will oppose us around? Why?The Magi are all massive cunts.Atlas has 7 fucking superweapons, one of which can kill Types. With enough funding, Marisbury can make Chaldea.Bringing back the gods is a good thing in the long run. Even Gilgamesh despises what became of humanity, and he was the one who actually enabled it.Magi are dangerous as long as they continue to pursue the Root.90 percent of them will continue no matter the cost.
Also, we need to get Rhongomyniad somehow. Gray kiiind of lives in the Clocktower. We can taunt Add and say we killed Arturia, too.
>>3781007I'm saying they have made no moves to interfere with us personally and as such are irrelevant. Going out of your way to draw attention to yourself by declaring an offensive war on a group of thousands of magi is silly and unnecessary. Why do we need superweapons? Why do you give a shit what Gillybitch thinks? What do you want, what do you think Alberich wants, and why?
>>3780982Simple solution: fold them into the Sea of Estray. Those guys love AoG magecraft.
>>3781081The Mages Association are a clear fucking threat. Can't conquer the world if you don't fuck them up.Fine, if Gilgamesh's wisdom doesn't convince you, how about the fact that humanity is heading towards the Notes apocalypse? Also,>they've made no excuse to interfere with us personallyZelretch sent Rin and Luvia.Harris and Lumenza are representing them.Interference already, albeit indirectly. >why do we need Superweapons>he doesn't want to gank the sleepy spider>what do you think Alberich wants?"Within my mind but one simple thought. Just one! To be victorious and rule! That is all. That is all I need to feel satisfaction! How I do it doesn't matter!"Apso, whoever said it would be a direct confrontation? We have Circe, we can just brainwash sleeper agents and use them to splinter the Clock Tower.
So, here's tonight's check-in on progress: I'm no longer sick, but not quite back to a great writing pace either. Due to a change in my work schedule, I won't be able to post updates on Tuesday or Thursday nights in the foreseeable future. That said, I do plan to update tomorrow. Once again, thanks for sticking around through this recent delay-ridden period.
When we take over the Clocktower, what should be done about the Animusphere?Marisbury is probably dead, but if he actually taught Olga anything, she could be a threat/asset.There are other potential threats/assets in the MA, too.Don't really want a wholesale slaughter of them all though.
>>3781581>When we take over the Clocktower, what should be done about the Animusphere?Brainwashing is the solution to almost every problem ever.
>>3781581Animusphere are weird -- they really matter in only one timeline, the one where Malisbury wins the Fuyuki Holy Grail. In all the other timelines they're a bunch of shut-ins fortune tellers.
>>3781611Olgamarie herself is only a threat if Marisbury taught her his plan for Chaldea.Even then, if you show her the smallest amount of praise it's likely she'll follow you of her own will anyway.Brainwashing isn't useful for everything, it's only Kikuko's unnaturally strong will that allowed her to avoid becoming something like Leysritt.Sometimes, you'll want to make actual allies.Sometimes you'll want to brainwash people into teaching you their magecraft before killing them off. Well, we can probably see if somebody is lying or not when they are asked if they will be loyal, using Circe's magic.Negative results will get you brainwashed, forced to teach your magic and then killed (sacrificed?/give to Kourakuhime?), unless you're a prodigy of some sort who is more useful alive.
>>3781626Yeah I know, but there's still the chance the idea of Chaldea exists, and I don't want it biting us in the ass.
>>3781626By the way, in F/SN timelines the First War was a bust because none of the Servants were bound by Command Spells, which makes Chaldea impossible because if Marisbury summoned Solomon and won it would've been noted.>>3781628>learning other people's magecraftYou do realize how many problems there are with that, don't you?>Alberich's Elemental alignments are Nothingness, Void and Sky, making the vast majority of magecraft inaccessible conventionally>The thaumaturgical foundations of the magecraft could be incompatible with his psyche>The spells may be restricted by blood or by some other means>Proficiency takes a very long time to achieve through mundane methods
>>3781672We could also see if the Shijou sacrificial ritual allows Ayaka to steal Crests. She'll be Caster tier yet.
>>3781675I want to say it shouldn't, for most of the reasons given already, but it should be able to steal Sorcery Traits.
>>3781685You say that, but it's capable of stealing even Personal Skills and Noble Phantasms. It also gives their life story and their blueprint with only a fraction of the soul, using all of it might give you all their memories. Being able to steal the magecraft of others isn't much of a stretch. We should at least look into it....Hold on...If it gives ALL of the targets memories, wouldn't that fuck you up?
>>3781581>>3781611>>3781626Olga would be irrelevant really, you want to go after Kirsch. Possibly Beryl and Daybit too since they seem to be pretty much unknowns. Rest of the crypters are mostly eh.
