In this quest you play as Wade Wakeman, a 16 year old boy with a heart of gold and the wielder of the Omnitrix. This story is being told in an alternate universe, in which there are no longer any remaining Tennysons. Characters from earlier seasons will appear, but not always in a way that you’d expect.

As you trek through the muck and grime of the factory’s tunnels, Rex and the others scratch their heads as the try to wrap their heads around your time travel theory.

[Rex]: So, you jump between the past and the present, change a few things, and you’re the only one that remembers it?

[Wade]: Pretty much.

[Iden]: But your body stays here in the present while your conscience travels to your past self. Fascinating…

That’s a decent way of putting it. Theorizing with Iden and the others has broadened your understanding of this phenomenon.

[Anaris]: How far back have you gone?

[Wade]: Only up to last year.

[Rex]: And you were stuck in the past for two weeks, but for you it was only two hours?

[Wade]: Yup? You now know as much as I do.

Despite the big pill you’ve given him to swallow, Rex looks a bit relieved.

[Rex]: I gotta say, this is much better than you being in a coma. We didn’t know what to do when you weren’t waking up.

[Wade]: You mean, you’re not mad?

[Wendy]: It’s okay to be just a little mad, you know.

Wendy's having a bit too much fun with all of this.

[Rex]: Nah, it’s cool. I actually feel much better knowing that Elena’s gone for good.

Now that he mentions it, you shudder at the sudden realization that you might have actually killed Elena during your fight. How does that make you feel?

>You didn’t see any other way to finish the fight without anyone else getting hurt. You don’t feel happy about it, but she wasn’t giving you any other choice.
>You hadn’t intended to kill her, but you’ll certainly own up to your actions. We all make mistakes, and you’ll carry yours with you for a long time.
>Somehow, you doubt that she’s really dead. Your rogues have a way of creeping up on you when you least expect them to.
>Technically she’s still alive in the past, so her death won’t really count if this mission is successful.

Ever since you got into the hero business, you life has been playing out like a cheesy comic book or a Saturday Morning Action series. You doubt that Elena really died in that explosion. Some tiny sliver of her probably crawled off somewhere when you weren’t looking.

And to be completely honest, she’s still alive and well in the past. So if everything goes right, you can prevent any of this from ever happening. Gotta think positive.

------------------

After about an hour of walking, you make it to the extraction point, where the majority of the clones have been waiting for you. The camp is bustling with cheer, festivities and celebration as the clones congratulate themselves on a battle well-fought. You almost consider joining them.

Anaris takes a moment to take a headcount, and he grimaces at the results.

[Anaris]: We’ve achieved a significant victory today, but it was only made possible by the sacrifices of these brave men.

He turns to you and folds his hands behind his back.

[Anaris]: I will not forget what you have done here. Me and my army are yours to command, and together, we will find the sword you spoke of and banish the Shogun of Sorrow from this world!

It would appear as if the clones overheard Anaris’ riveting speech, as they gather around you and cheer loudly. Anaris extends a hand towards you, and you hesitate slightly before allowing his massive palm to envelop yours in a friendly handshake. The experience is so bizarre and surreal that you barely notice Iden approaching you from behind.

[Iden]: Before you boys get too ahead of yourselves, I thought I should mention how low our supplies are. We need to regroup at the base before we do anything else.

[Wade]: That’s fair. Better to be safe than sorry.

[Wendy]: Lead the way, doc.

You help the others load up the transports and clean up the camp. Shortly afterward, you’re on your way back to the base.

What do you do while you wait?

(Pick 2 or 3)

>Test out some Viral Forms and spar with Rex. He can benefit from testing out his new weapons as well.
>"Daydream" for a bit.
>Confront Wendy about the Amalgamatrix. She still has it in her bag.
>Ask Anaris if you can scan his DNA. You’ve been waiting forever to do this!
>Help Iden repair her body with Max's help.
>Suggest a new application of Viral Forms for your aliens.(Detailed Write-in to give QM some ideas)
>Get some sleep. You’re absolutely exhausted after all of that rescuing.

You slowly inch closer and closer to Anaris as he stares out the window absentmindedly.

[Wade]: Uh, hey. Quick question.

[Anaris]: What is it?

[Wade]: Would it be cool if I...scanned your DNA?

He’s a little caught off guard by the question, but also slightly amused.

[Anaris]: I suppose it wouldn’t do any harm. But I had figured that you had no need for my DNA. That form you used to defeat me is clearly stronger.

[Wade]: Strength isn’t all that matters. Every alien I have is useful in their own individual way.

Anaris closes his eyes and crosses his arms with a small grin spread across his face.

[Anaris]: I see. Then you are welcome to store my DNA for later use.

You scan Anaris with an orange beam accept the DNA transfer.

>You’ve acquired Anaris’ DNA!

[Trixy]: Unique species acquired.

--------------------------

Later on, you find Iden piecing herself together with Max’s help in the armory. She removed both her legs and her right arm to perform maintenance on them.

[Iden]: Don’t tighten that bolt too much. It’ll restrict my manual dexterity. And be careful with those tools! I’m not some clunky junker that you can cobble together with those wrinkled hands of yours.

[Max]: Stop squirming and I won’t scratch you.

[Wade]: Need some help?

The two of them finally cease their bickering to acknowledge you.

[Iden]: Oh, thank heavens you’re here. Kaptain Kangaroo here is all thumbs.

You quietly grab a few tools and start working on fixing her right leg.

[Max]: It’s “Kangaroo Kommando”!

[Iden]: I don’t care! Keep this up and you can kiss that promotion goodbye!

[Max]: I don’t-

Max quickly catches himself before he says something he'll regret.

[Max]: Wait, what promotion?

(Cont.)
>>
Iden sighs deeply, grabs her right arm and pops it back into place.

[Iden]: I was going to wait until we returned to the base, but I wanted to reward you for your bravery today. Despite being a senile old man who wears his underwear on the outside, you have an admirable attitude and a strong spirit.

[Max]: I…

Max is at a loss for words, but Iden casually rewire’s her faulty arm as he takes a moment to absorb the content of the conversation.

[Iden]: You’d have your own squad again, as well as the respect of your fellow comrades. I admit...I was wrong to demote you for your failure to eliminate Demongo. Me and Anaris were expecting too much of you.

Max looks to you for a moment, hoping that you’ll help him to make a decision.

[Wade]: I think you should go for it. Those younger clones can learn alot from someone with as much experience as you.

Max removes his mask and extends his hand towards Iden.

[Max]: I’ll do it.

Iden smiles and tries to shake his hand, but her hand spazzes out and goes haywire for a moment.

[Iden]: Blast! Thought that would fix it, for sure.

[Max]: Give it here.

Max grabs her hand forcefully and rewires it with impressive precision and manual dexterity for a man of his age.

[Iden]: No don’t-

Iden yanks her arm away, only to find that her problem has been fixed.

[Max]: Better?

Iden flexes her fingers without experiencing any pain or resistance.

[Iden]: Yes, actually. Thank you…

The three of you work in a surprisingly peaceful and comfy environment for the next two hours.

------------------------

You find Wendy sitting alone, running her fingers along the grooves and edges of the Amalgamatrix.

[Wendy]: You came here to talk about "this", right? No use hiding it anymore, I guess.

>”If you know why I’m here, then you should know what I’m about to say.”
>”You know it’s not good for you to use that thing. We've been over this already.”
>”I’m not here to chastise you. You’re a grown woman and you can make your own choices.”
>”You don’t need that thing to be helpful. You’ve saved my butt more times than I can count in this week alone.”

You remove your helmet, sit down next to her and sigh deeply.

[Wade]: How about this? When we get back home, we can take it to Azmuth and have him tweak it so that it doesn’t drive you crazy.

Wendy rolls her eyes and huffs at you.

[Wendy]: Yeah, right. Like the smartest man in the universe is gonna give a weapon to the crazy one in the family. We both know that he doesn’t like me.

[Wade]: What? No! He’s never said that he hates you…

She shoots a skeptical glance in your direction.

[Wade]: To your face at least…

Wendy groans loudly and flops onto her back.

[Wendy]: Just forget it. I’m not like you, and I’ve gotta come to grips with that fact.

[Wade]: Like what?

[Wendy]: Y’know. "Special".

[Wade]: We share the same DNA!

[Wendy]: Not like that. Even though I've got the same famous dead guy genes, we’re way too different. You're all nice, heroic and likable. While I'm just...blegh. The Doc doesn’t want me, the frog doesn’t want me and your family sure as hell doesn’t want me.

[Wade]: Oh, c’mon. You know that’s not true. You’re smart, funny, cool, and let’s not forget devilishly handsome.

She turns her over on the floor and faces away from you. Man, she’s really stressing about this.

[Wade]: You just need to give everyone some time to get used to you and-

Suddenly, she jumps up and points her metal finger into your chest.

[Wendy]:Ugh! Just cut the shit, bro! I’ve got a shitty personality! I’m a shitty person! I’m just pretending that I’m not. Literally everyone except you knows that! That’s why they stay FAR away from me. That’s why I don’t have any friends.

You back off a bit and she seems to realize that she accidentally lashed out at you. She must have been holding these feelings in for a while.

She turns away from you, sits near the edge of the transport’s trunk and lets her feet dangle above the road as the horizon grows farther and farther away.

[Wendy]: Why would anyone choose me for anything when they could have you? I’m just the defective runaway.

She becomes silent after saying that. What can you say to cheer her up?

>”No one hates you. They just don’t know you like I do.”
>”I don’t care which side you’re on. Good or bad, you’ll always be my older sister.”
>”If you were such a shitty person, you wouldn’t have come with me on this journey.”

[Wade]: Sure, you’re a little rough around the edges, abrasive, and a bit of a pain in the ass, but…

She glares angrily at you.

[Wendy]: Not helping.

[Wade]: But, if you were such a shitty person, you wouldn’t have gone with me on this journey.

[Wendy]: I mean, it was either this or suffer by the hands of a tyrannical demon for the rest of my life. Easy decision, really.

A sly grin spreads across her face as she playfully teases you.

[Wade]: If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that you actually felt like helping people.

[Wendy]: Well, I guess. But don’t tell anyone. I’d lose all my street cred!

There’s the sarcastic, smart-ass attitude that you know and love. Seems like she’s in a much better mood now.

[Wade]: You know, me and Rex are here for you if you ever need anything. I always liked to think that we were all friends.

[Wendy]: Oh please. Me and Rex are not friends.

[Wade]: Well, being frenemies is close enough for now. The point is, we both like you and consider you to be a decent person. And my parents seemed to like you alot, until...the whole murder thing and-

[Wendy]: Yeah, I know. Your folks were nice. I was really caught off guard by how different they were from everyone I’d ever met. It made me realize just how different we were.

Uh-oh. She’s got that gloomy look on her face again.

[Wade]: They don’t hold a grudge against you, you know. No one does.

She seems surprised by the fact that no one hates her as much as she thought.

[Wendy]: So what, it was all in my head or something?

[Wade]: Pretty much. I think once everyone gets to know you a bit better, then you’ll really start to see what I mean. They're all good people, and so are you.

She looks down at the Amalgamatrix one more time, before handing it to you and rising to her feet.

[Wendy]: Here, take it. I don’t need it anymore.

The two of you smile warmly at one another, but your tender moment is cut short when the transport comes to a screeching halt. You and Wendy race to the front of the vehicle to assess the situation.

[Wade]: What happened?

A masked clone silently points in front of him, and you see a clone in tattered armor standing in the middle of the road. What’s wrong with him?

Wendy pushes the driver aside and aggressively honks the horn.

[Wendy]: Move your ass!

Just then, he raises his head to face you, and you see the skeletal remains of what used to be a human being staring back at you. It’s an undead!

[Wade]: I don’t like this…

Suddenly, the vehicle is tipped over by some sort of rampaging beast that rammed into its side. It tears open the hull with its razor sharp claws with ease, and attempts to snatch you up in its teeth. And just like the clone soldier, it appears to be an undead.

[Max]: We’re under attack!

You can hear Max screaming from the other room, but you had no need for such an obvious status report.

You stare into the hollow, lifeless eyes of what you assume to be a bear, and lean back to narrowly avoid having your face bitten off. So you equip your mask once more and fire your gauntlet at the creature’s face.

You see a few of its decaying teeth fly from its mouth and you see some sort of black ichor dripping from his nose and mouth. He runs off soon after your punch lands. It must’ve spooked him.

[Wade]: It sounds quiet out there. I’m gonna take a peek and see what’s going on.

You peek your head out of the hole that the wild beast made, and you’re immediately met by a hail of blaster fire from group of undead clones. You duck back down into the immobile vehicle to avoid being shot.

[Wade]: Not clear! Not clear!

Just then, you hear a furious battle cry from the back of the truck, followed by the sound of crunching metal. That must be Anaris.

He leaps out in front of the truck, wielding his trusty mace, and proceeds to clobber the firing squad with it. They can’t even penetrate his thick hide with their guns!

And just when it seems like the fight is just about over, a long, dark shadow spreads over the area. You look up to see a massive figure before you, blocking out the sun with their imposing stature. In fact, it almost looks like…

[Wade]: Olumar…?

Anaris attempts to attack the giant, but is swiftly kicked out of the area by your big blue friend. What’s wrong with her?!

[Demongo]: AHAHAHAHA! Cower before the awesome might of my new servant!

Oh god! You’d recognize that shrill cackle anywhere! It’s Demongo, and he's got Olumar under his control. Does that mean she actually lost to this guy? You really didn’t believe it to be possible after her display of strength earlier.

[Wendy]: She’s gonna step on us!

Wendy screams and points up at Olumar as she slowly raises her foot. You need to act fast!

[Demongo]: Crush them! Leave nothing behi-

Demongo’s tirade is cut short by a ball of debris slamming into his face with great speed and force, causing him to fly backwards into the forest. That must’ve been Rex’s Slam Cannon! And it looks like he just gave you a much needed distraction.

This looks like a job for Thriller Whale!

You quickly open up the Omnitrix’s faceplate, and sift through your selection of aliens, before finally deciding on Thriller Whale.

In a bright purple flash, your body changes to that of Thriller Whale’s! The flash is so sudden, that Wendy must cover her eyes at the moment of transformation.

[Wendy]: Warn someone before you do that!

You ignore her complaint and focus on thinking of a song that’d free Olumar from Demongo’s control. And you think you have a pretty good idea of what would work in this particular situation.

You play yet another song from one of your favorite game series. You know Wendy’s gonna complain like she always does when you used to show her anime, but you don’t really have the luxury of worrying about that right now.

[Wade]: Okay, here’s a warning: “Cover your ears. All of you!”

You climb out of the truck and fire your sonar directly at Olumar’s head. Due to the distance and the density of her skull, you put everything you’ve got into amplifying the power your sonar. Hopefully it reaches her.

[Demongo]: Fools! Your meager attacks can do nothing to my gargantuan minion! AHAHAHAHA!

Looks like Demongo recovered from his Slan Cannon shot. It hardly did anything to make him any less annoying.

You persist in broadcasting your song, and you notice that Olumar is shaking a bit. Demongo doesn’t seem to notice this change at all. He’s too caught up in his maniacal laughter.

Suddenly, Olumar reaches up to her shoulder, grabs Demongo and squeezes him with all her might.

[Demongo]: W-what is this?! You obey me now! Do you hear me?! You obey m-

Olumar swiftly throws him to the ground, raises her foot and stomps him into the earth repeatedly, causing shockwaves to ripple throughout the forest and massive fissures to form beneath her feet. You can see the life and color returning to her eyes once more.

[Olumar]: Master...I’m sorry. You must retreat...before the effects of your spell wears off.

She seems to be struggling against Demongo’s control with all of her might.

[Wade]: No way! I’m not leaving you again!

[Olumar]: There is no hope for me. My soul is bound to him. As are the other undead warriors that he seeks to use against you. Please...do not give him what he wants...

[Wendy]: Maybe we should listen to her. If she can’t beat him, then what chance do we have?

>”She couldn’t beat him alone, but together, we might just stand a chance!” Stay and fight!
>”I’m sorry, Olumar. I’ll fix all of this and get you out of your lamp when we get back home!” Retreat with the rest of Anaris’ army.

[Wade]: She couldn’t beat him alone, but together, we might just stand a chance!

You’re not passing up a chance to take this goon down for good!

[Wendy]: That was some next level cheesy shit, bro. And when are you gonna stop using your goddamn Japanese songs to solve all of your problems?!

There she goes...

[Wade]: Uh, maybe when it stops working so well?!

She opens her mouth to retort, but doesn't seem to be able to completely disagree with you. The results speak for themselves.

You time out early in a flash of golden light, and search frantically for another alien to use. You’re thinking that one of your Viral Forms could really help you out right about now. And you’ve been pretty curious as to what Viral Snotrocket could possibly be.

[Wade]: It's Show Time!

You make your selection, and slam your hand down onto the Omnitrix’s core once it pops up. In a bright violet flash, your body transforms into that of Snotrocket! But, this time...it feels very different…

[Trixy]: G͓̜̪̐͆̈͝ͅo̺̳͌ȉ͖̺̩̋̈́̉͟n͕͉̂̊̃g̯̰͊͡ ̫̊͞V̗̗͑̚į̨̺̹͑̔̍̕ȑ̫̘̤̂͘a̮̳̻͛͛l̨̥̇͂

Your skeletal structure, brain chemistry and genetic code changes drastically, making you into a completely different creature!

Your skin turns a pale, ghostly white, and you feel your limbs growing significantly longer. You probably tower over normal humans at this point. However, your legs are now bent backwards and your talons have grown in length.

You feel the gelatinous substance on your face beginning to harden and encase your eyes as you slowly lose your ability to manipulate it altogether. Your vision fails you, but there are other ways to see.

>You’ve become Viral Snotrocket! (Antibody form)

You examine your surroundings with your newly acquired senses. So much bacteria. So much filth…

[Wendy]: You okay there, bro?

You turn to look at your sister, but all you can see is a pile of bacteria resembling her shape. Reminds you of how Wildmutt sees. Only a little more unsettling. Each and every microbe that floats through the air is now visible to you. As are the microorganisms that live on the skin of your fleshy companions. It takes all of your willpower to resist the urge to cleanse them of their affliction.

A sizzling sound reaches your ears, and you notice that you were accidentally decaying the paint beneath your feet. You must be more careful in the future.

Suddenly, a pillar of flame erupts from the forest, burning the tree tops and sending a wave of dirt and debris your way. They sizzle and disintegrate as they touch your skin. You have no intention of letting this filth sully your pure body.

[Demongo]: If you’re willing to disobey your Mast-ah, then you must be willing to pay the ultimate price: Your lives!

The eccentric demon opens up his cloak and exposes the skulls that decorate the upper part of his torso. He grabs several handfuls, tosses them into the air and fires a beam from his hands. The stream of magic hits the skulls, causing them to explode and spawn ghost-like creatures.

[Demongo]: Go forth, my undead army! Destroy them!

He’s already spawned about a hundred of these undead warriors, and he doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Looks like you’ll have to be the one to put a stop to this. Fortunately, you have tons of backup this time.

What do you do?

>Spread your decay to the army by sending it through the ground they stand on.
>Jump from tree to tree, decaying the trunks and dropping them onto the army along the way.
>Tell Olumar to throw you directly at Demongo.
>Have Rex fly you over the undead army while the clone army clashes with them.
>Augment Rex’s Slam Cannon ammo with your decay, and have him shoot it at Demongo.
>Charge through the undead while riding on Anaris' back.

Using the decay directly might go too out of control, but the tree trunks seem to be fair game.

>106!

You look up to Olumar and call for her to perform one of the signature moves that you taught her a while back.

[Wade]: Olumar! We need the Speedball special!

She giggles mischievously, scoops you up from the ground and winds her arm back for the throw.

[Olumar]: Are you sure you want to do this, Master?

[Wade]: At least once in my life before I’m satisfied. Now let her rip!

She rolls her eyes and throws you will all her might, sending you hurtling towards Demongo like some sort of human cannonball. You were a bit worried about him avoiding the attack once he saw Olumar winding up for the toss, but it would seem that he’s a bit too caught up in his undead spawning to have even noticed.

[Demongo]: AHAHAHAHAHAHA, huh…?

He notices you far too late, and attempts to use some sort of teleportation magic to evade the attack. However, you manage to grab hold of him right before he can blink away from the area.

By grabbing onto Demongo, you travel with him to the area he teleports to. He struggles to push you off, but you sink your sharp claws into his chest and hold on for dear life.

[Demongo]: Unhand me, you filthy wretch!

[Wade]: I am not filthy! You are like a cancer that begs to be cleansed from this world!

The demon is taken aback by your deep raspy voice and bleak outlook on life. And you can;t blame him. You surprised yourself with how easily that came out of your mouth.

You jump around the battlefield a couple more times at a very quick rate, making it difficult for you to keep a solid grasp on this twig-like individual. Finally, you grow tired of this petty squabble and send your decay through his body.

You see cracks forming through his torso as your decay slowly turns him to dust. He screeches in pain and sinks his claws into your shoulders to retaliate, but you remain undeterred.

Glowing cracks form along his face and continue to spread to the rest of his body, so long as you remain in contact with him. To be honest, you’re a bit surprised that he’s putting up this much of a fight. You estimated his demise to have happened much earlier when met with your decay.

Then finally, his arms grow weaker, and his breathing slows to a gasping whimper. The calamitous decay spreads throughout his entire body, causing the glowing cracks to widen and leak a mysterious black mist. And then, a bright white light envelops your body and a massive explosion sends a powerful shockwave throughout the entire forest.

-----------------

When you come to, your sore body punishes you for every reckless action you took during that battle. But it was probably worth it. You hope…

[Olumar]: M-master…?

You look up to see a child-like version of Olumar standing over your crippled body. You can see tears welling up in her eyes and running down her dark blue cheeks.

>”Oh yeah. Definitely worth it.”
>”You got tiny again. Looks like we’re both exhausted.”

You unconsciously pat her head after seeing her appear before you as a small, blue child. And it looks like she really enjoys being spoiled like this. You might have to try this more often.

[Wade]: Did we win? What happened to the others?

She wipes her eyes and nose frantically before answering.

[Olumar]: From what I can tell, Demongo has been completely and utterly destroyed. But due to your interference, the energy that he had been stockpiling from his soul collection was left without a vessel to contain it. I managed to block the brunt of the explosion and protect you all, but…

Olumar does a little twirl and plays with the glittering sashes dangling from her pants.

[Olumar]: As you can see, that action was not without its consequences. It would appear that I will be stuck in this form for quite some time.

[Wade]: Well that doesn’t sound too bad. At least we’re both alive.

Olumar sighs and plops down beside you with a smile on her face.

[Olumar]: That we are.

The two of you stare at the sky and watch as the previously trapped souls fly freely through the air. Many of them wave back at you and salute you as a noble warrior. Being trapped inside of a creature that pompous and annoying must’ve been hell. You were glad to help.

[Wade]: I think this is the part where someone tells me how awesome I am, or incredibly stupid. Which is it this time?

She rolls onto her side and playfully pokes your cheek.

[Olumar]: Surely it’s both. Your actions were truly foolish, but they were also incredibly brave. However, I’ve come to accept my Master’s meddlesome nature. After all, it’s what makes traveling with you so exhilarating.

She becomes silent for a moment, closing her eyes as she takes in the feeling of joyful reunion and victory.

[Wade]: Just like old times, eh?

[Olumar]: Indeed. I missed this.

Your peaceful moment is soon interrupted by the intrusion of Rex and Wendy.

[Rex]: There you are!

Rex looks extremely relieved, while your sister looks a bit pissed.

[Wendy]: Can you please go a single fucking day without nearly dying on me?

[Wade]: Love you too, sis.

They help you and Olumar to your feet, and you indulge Rex on how you and Olumar found each other in the past.

[Rex]: So you found her while spelunking on an alien planet?

[Olumar]: Yes. I gave him a simple riddle so that he would solve it and take me away from that wretched hovel.

[Wade]: I knew that riddle was way too easy!

You and the others make it back to the others, who still seem to be recovering after that sudden ambush. Max looks a little shaken up, but Iden and Anaris look like they’re relatively fine.

(Cont.)
>>
[Anaris]: I am glad that you are all unharmed.

And you’re glad that Olumar’s kick didn’t send him into orbit.

Anaris' curious gaze rests on Olumar, who cuddles close to you as you hold her in your arms like a young child. She's being super needy today, but you decide to indulge her for now.

[Iden]: We just received intel from the...spirits concerning the 47 Oni.

The skepticism is visible on her face.

[Iden]: Apparently they’re planning on intercepting the train that’s supposed to be headed to Aku’s treasure room.

[Anaris]: This leads us to believe that there really is something valuable on that transport. We need you to go and retrieve it before they have a chance to stop that train.

[Wade]: Wait, you’re not coming with us?

Iden slowly shakes her head from side to side.

[Iden]: We need time to recover after our last mission. And let’s not forget that ambush just now. Once we’ve resupplied and rested a bit, you will receive our full support.

>”We’ll get that sword. And once we do, we’ll be ready to end this once and for all.”
>”We should just go together. I bet Aku and his minions have got something else up their sleeves. We'll wait with you until you;re ready.”
>”Let's just skip a step and go straight for Aku’s treasure room. There’s got to be something useful in there.”

[Wade]: Don’t worry. We’ll get that sword from them. And once we do, we’ll end this once and for all.

Rex and Wendy slap you on the back and smile to show their support. You wouldn’t expect anything less.

[Iden]: And what of the blue creature?

You all look down at Olumar.

[Olumar]: I’m coming with them of course. There’s no way I’m letting my Master go after finding him again.

She holds you close and nuzzles against your chest. You guess there wouldn’t be any harm in bringing her along. And you could certainly use the help.

--------------------

After saying your goodbyes to your friends in the resistance, they load up a transport for you and your team and send you on your way. You allow Wendy to drive since she has the most experience with advanced vehicles such as this.

You notice that Olumar is hanging her head out of the window and joyfully kicking her feet.

Wait a minute…

She has feet now?!

[Wade]: What happened to your lamp?

[Olumar]: Hmm? Oh, I outgrew that little trinket a long time ago. I enjoyed my freedom for quite some time, but it soon became boring without you or any of my other allies.

Considering the size of that valley she made, she must’ve gone on quite the rampage.

>”Since you’ve been here since the beginning, how did things get this bad in the future?”
>"What happened to everybody once I left?"
>”I heard something about a war between the science side and the magic side. Do you know anything about that?”

>”You’ve seen that mutated squid called ‘The Beast’, right? Do you know anything about him?"

[Wade]: Now that you’re out of your lamp, do you feel any different?

She pulls her body back into the vehicle and twirls her finger around in her hair.

[Olumar]: Well aside from being able to freely stretch my legs, I’ve felt a great amount of power slowly returning to me. Despite my small stature, I should still be quite capable of handling myself in a squabble. I might surprise even you, Master~!

That has yet to be seen.

[Wade]: I heard something from Iden about a war between the science side and the magic side. Do you know anything about that?

She rolls her eyes and tucks her legs closer to her chest.

[Olumar]: Oh yes, I remember it all. Of course, I didn’t participate in any grand battles or anything like that, but I got the gist of it. The whole thing was instigated by Solomon and some Galvan.

[Wade]: A Galvan? You don’t mean Azmuth, do you?

[Olumar]: No, it was a different one. Her name was Xellit, I believe. Her vocation was studying the dark arts and deconstructing the arcane. She was quite the quick study, too.

A Galvan that studies magic? That sounds kinda awesome, actually. It could open up a bunch of possibilities for both sides.

[Trixy]: That name...why does it sound so familiar?

Olumar giggles mischievously at Trixy’s reaction.

[Olumar]: Oh, I bet it does. Go ahead and ask the frog about her next time you see him.

Her expression quickly changes to a sorrowful one.

[Olumar]: Many lives were lost in the war. Including that of Azmuth and Solomon. There was no victor on the day of their mutual defeat. We all lost…

She forces a brittle smile onto her face and slides her legs underneath her body.

[Olumar]: That’s enough gloomy talk for today. You should get some rest before we arrive at our destination.

[Wade]: I guess you’re right.

She smiles expectantly and slaps her smooth, blue thighs invitingly.

[Wade]: Y-you want me to…

She continues to slap them and smile warmly.

[Wade]: Isn’t that like...wrong or something?

[Olumar]: What’s so wrong about a humble servant providing a service to her master?

Well, when she says it like that...it’d almost be rude to turn her down.

You lay your head on her plump thighs and allow her to stroke your hair slowly.

[Olumar]: Now, how does that feel?

[Wade]: Like I’m doing something illegal.

[Olumar]: It would only be considered sinful if we are caught, no?

Her mischievous smile returns, but with a hungry look in her eye that you can’t quite pin.

[Wade]: Hey! No funny business while I’m unconscious, okay?

[Olumar]: Why, Master! Are you perhaps suggesting that I would lay my hands on you while you’re vulnerable? I wouldn’t even think of it!

Her faux innocence is so transparent that it’s almost funny. However, you decide to entrust her with your safety as you drift to sleep.

(Cont.)
>>
Once you awaken, you realize that you’ve already arrived at the train station. You lift yourself from Olumar’s lap and exit the vehicle to stretch your legs, but mostly because you don;t want to be caught in such a compromising position.

Aside from that, you notice that the train is absolutely massive! Like a hotel with wheels. And you’re even surprised that it still has wheels in this day and age. You guess some classics never completely die.

[Wendy]: Make sure we get those tickets, Rex. We didn’t drive all the way over here to get smacked by train station security.

[Rex]: Yeah yeah, I’m on it.

His eyes glow a bright shade of blue for a moment, before returning back to normal shortly afterward.

[Rex]: Alright, we should be good.

[Wade]: Neat trick.

The four of you make your way through the station, which is bustling with alien life and robot security. It has all the decor of a downtown subway station, and all the stink of a sewer treatment plant. You think it’s coming from the heavily polluted lake below the station. Your mask’s air filters are barely able to handle its putrid stench.

Once you get to ticket claim, they scan your faces and run them through some sort of intergalactic database for wanted criminals. You’re really grateful that Wendy told you about this procedure beforehand, or else you would’ve been in for a load of trouble.

The machine beeps rapidly, causing Rex to panic and quickly use his technopathy to tamper with the machine. It eventually stops beeping, and makes a buzzing noise to confirm your false identities have been cleared through the database. You all breathe a sigh of relief, while Wendy just rolls her eyes at Rex.

[Wendy]: Amateur.

[Rex]: “Should be”! I said we “should be” fine!

The four of you board safely and start to pick your seats. It would seem that they only allow two people to sit together at once.

[Wendy]: I’ll take the blue meanie, and you can take Hackerman over there wherever the hell you want.

She holds Olumar’s hand like a child and leads her towards the back of the train. You little blue companion waves at you in the distance, even though you’ll only be separated for a few hours.

[Rex]: Ugh. I said I was sorry.

Rex’s shoulders slouch as he complains about your sister’s attitude.

[Wade]: I know, buddy. Let’s go pick our seats.

Looks like you'll be sitting across from another pair of people during the ride. And there aren't too many seats left.

Who do you want to sit next to?

>A one-legged Scotsman and a black guy with funky clothing.

You decide to sit next to the muscular Scotsman and the thin black man for the time being. As soon as you sit down however, the Scotsman expresses his immediate disappointment.

[Scotsman]: Oi! GET OUT OF THE WAY, YA OVERGROWN DUNG BEETLE! YOU'RE BLOCKING ME VIEW!

He's much louder than you thought he'd be. Maybe that's just his normal volume.

[Wade]: Blocking your view?

You turn around to see the beautiful woman from earlier sitting behind you. Has he ogling her this entire time?

[Da Samurai]: Hey man, ain't you been married for like 50 years?

[Scotsman]: SHUT IT! THERE AIN'T NOTHIN WRONG WITH LOOKIN, SO LONG AS YOU LEAVE IT AT THAT!

The funky individual with the samurai sword sinks down into his seat and desperately tries to shield his face, as the Scotsman showers him with spit during his tantrum.

This guy is drawing alot of unnecessary attention to you right now. You'd tell him to pipe down, but that'd only make it worse. His vulgarity accidentally reminds you of Wendy to be honest.

[Rex]: He may be loud and obnoxious, but he's definitely got good taste.

Rex admires the woman from afar, which attracts the attention of the scruffy older gentleman that's sitting next to her. He growls at Rex, almost as if he were trying to protect his woman by scaring off any would-be suitors. Rex quickly turns around and sinks into his seat after being thoroughly weirded out.

This is gonna be a long couple of hours…

---------------

Seeing as you didn't have anything better to do, you got to know the people you were sitting across from. Turns out that "Da Samurai" helped the Scotsman to free his wife from Celtic Demons of some sort. They've been traveling together ever since.

In fact, they were just retelling this epic tale to you and Rex...for the 5th time...

[Scotsman]: SO THERE WE WERE, STANDING BACK TO BACK AGAINST A HORDE OF DEMONS MOST FOUL, WITH NO END IN SIGHT...

[Da Samurai]: But then we nod to each other without saying a word, and jump right into the middle of that mess! There was swords swingin', sparks flyin' and bullets poppin' everywhere, man! You should've seen it!

The two of them proceed to imitate the sound effects of their battle with greatly exaggerated gestures, causing you to become even more embarrassed by the attention that's being drawn to you. You should either change the subject, or start looking for that sword before these guys blow your cover.

>"That sounds cool and all, but it doesn't top what we've done in the past few weeks!" Tell them your story.

[Wade]: That sounds cool and all, but it doesn’t top what we’ve done in the past few weeks!

You look back and wink at Rex, who just raises an eyebrow at you.

[Wade]: So there I was, just a simple moisture farmer on a distant desert planet, indebted to a greedy alien slug...

Rex nearly jumps out of his seat when he recognizes the references you’re dropping. And it looks like the Scotsman and Samurai haven’t caught on yet. The two of you proceed to recount the events of the Star Wars trilogy.

[Rex]: I was a hotshot smuggler with a bad attitude and a penchant for danger. Together, we rescued a beautiful princess from a villainous tyrant. She was, of course, madly in love with me, but I knew could never work between us.

You think about ending your little joke, but the expressions of your listeners convinces you to keep going. They remind you of yourself when you had first seen the movies with your Dad. Just a pure notion of wonder and whimsy. How could you possibly stop now?

[Wade]: And then I had realized that the villainous tyrant was actually...my father!

[Scotsman]: NO! SAY IT AIN’T SO, LADDY!

[Da Samurai]: That’s not true! That’s impossible!

[Wade]: Yeah, I know! That’s what I said! After getting my hand chopped off, I crawled back to a swamp planet to meet up with a powerful warrior, who trained me to use…”The Force”!

[Scotsman & Da Samurai]: Whoa!!!

Their reactions are so genuine and precious.

[Rex]: The beautiful princess simply couldn’t resist being away from me, so she risked her life to rescue me from that ravenous alien slug. She even managed to kill him single handedly!

[Scotsman]: NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL A WOMAN!

[Da Samurai]: Please tell me you put a ring on it, brother…

[Rex]: Well, that’s a story for another time. And I don’t think we have enough time to-

The two of them plead to you with sorrowful puppy dog eyes, They’re really enjoying this story!

You and Rex continue telling the story until you reach the end of the original trilogy. You don't think they can handle any more than that for now.

[Wade]: The end.

[Da Samurai]: Man, y’all weren’t kidding! That blows our story WAY out of the water!

[Scotsman]: EVEN I’VE GOTTA ADMIT, THAT TALE WAS ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY! I’LL HAVE TO TELL IT TO ME WIFE SOMEDAY!

[Wade]: Thanks. But if you don’t mind me asking, what are you guys hoping to find on your journey.

[Scotsman]: GLORY!

The Scotsman raises his fist to the air, nearly causing him to punch a dent into the ceiling.

[Da Samurai]: Foxy ladies!

Da Samurai makes an hourglass gesture with his hands.

[Scotsman]: HONOR!

[Da Samurai]: A fat wad of cash!

Their intentions could not be any more different. Maybe now’s the time for you to fish for some information.

[Wade]: So, I heard a rumor that this train passes by Aku’s treasure room at some point. Do you know if there’s any truth to that?

The two of them look at each other with confused expressions.

[Da Samurai]: We thought this was just a normal train.

[Scotsman]: IT SURE BEATS SWIMMING THROUGH THIS FECES INFESTED LAKE!

You sigh deeply and get up from your seat. If these guys knew anything useful, then they’re hiding it extremely well.

[Wade]: I’m gonna go to the bathroom. Be back in a bit.

As you walk down the aisle, you can swear that there are more than a few eyes following you. But maybe it’s just the paranoia talking.

Once you reach the bathroom, the train enters a tunnel, and the cabin is flooded with darkness. You un-equip your suit for a moment and look into the mirror. It’s actually been a fairly long time since you’ve seen your own face.

Suddenly, the cabin is flooded in darkness for a brief moment, and when light returns to the room you notice that a black figure is descending upon you from the ceiling! And he’s got a sword!

[Wade]: Whoa!

You immediately throw yourself to the side without a second thought, barreling through the door and narrowly avoiding the sharp blade that was swung towards you. And it’s a good thing you did, because that sword managed to cut through the sink that you were standing near.

You look back at your assailant to see a ninja with red eyes wearing a black garment. And as soon as you enter another tunnel, he disappears, as if were never there, and the cabin is once again shrouded in darkness. It’s almost as if his suit was absorbing the light around it. You’re unsure as to whether this is due to magic or some sort of secret ninja technique.

As you fumble around in the dark, you catch a glimpse of another ninja, shrouded in a white, radiant garment. Almost as if he were radiating light.

[Wade]: Shit, there’s another one?!

Once the train exits the tunnel, the black ninja reappears, and the white ninja disappears from view. What exactly is going on here?!

You really don’t think that you can win this without losing a limb or two. Time to make a break for it!

You run right past the black ninja, leaving him shocked and confounded by your tactical retreat. Looks like they were expecting a fight, or maybe at least a little tussle. But if there’s one thing you’ve learned during your time as a superhero, it’s knowing when you’re in a bad spot.

[Trixy]: Proximity alert.

You turn just in time to block about a dozen throwing stars. And as you turn back around, a ray of sunlight hits you in the face at just the right angle, allowing you to see a thin blade waiting to remove your head from your shoulders. You take advantage of this random stroke of luck and duck underneath the blade without slowing down. The white ninja must’ve been trying to ambush you. You’re not even sure how and when he got in front of you.

As you reach the door leading to the populated car, you promptly slam it behind you, narrowly avoiding being impaled as it slides past your armpit. You quickly move away from the door and watch as he slides the blade out without making any noise.

You take a moment to catch your breath and look back to see if anyone noticed your plight, but it would seem that everyone is occupied with other things. They sit beside one another, happily chatting away, napping, reading and staring out at the polluted lake.

Really?! No one noticed that?! Even if the ninjas didn’t make any noise, you sure as hell did.

[Wade]: Yeah, sure…

You walk down the aisle to return to your seat, only to find that Rex isn’t there. And neither is The Scotsman or Da Samurai.

[Wade]: Huh. That’s weird…

You notice that the seat numbers are different this time around. But you were sure that you didn’t even walk that far to get to the bathroom. All you did was walk straight!

[???]: Snazzy suit you got there, babe.

You turn around to see a well dressed robot with a funny accent. He’s way more expressive than any synthetic you’ve seen since you’ve been here. And a bit too familiar with you for a total stranger.

[???]: You’ve just gotta tell me where ya got it!

He gently pats the seat beside him, and you notice that he has a flute strapped to his waist.

[Wade]: Thanks. You don’t look too bad yourself.

He seems like a decent guy. Maybe he knows where Rex went.

[Wade]: Hey, do you know where my friend went? He wears goggles, has black hair and a red jacket.

He rubs his chin curiously whilst keeping his smug grin.

[Scaramouche]: Hmm, nope! Haven’t seen him.

He shrugs his shoulders and leans back in his chair.

[Scaramouche]: Maybe he got lost. This is a pretty big train after all.

You’d refute his theory, but you aren’t even sure if you know where you’re going right now.

[Wade]: Well, thanks anyway. I’m gonna keep looking for him. It was nice meeting you.

You wave at him and walk back towards the neighboring train car, while the strange robot pulls out his flute and begins to play it. He’s surprisingly good at it.

[Scaramouche]: Good luck, babe. You’re gonna need it…

You ponder his cryptic warning for a moment, but you’re suddenly distracted by a sharp pain in your neck. Trixy forcibly pulls your head to the side in order to avoid a sword flying towards it.

It flies over your shoulder and plunges itself into the door you were headed towards. You look back to see who might be attacking you, but it looks like no one has moved a muscle. And there isn’t anyone overly suspicious among the passengers...

[Trixy]: Proximity alert.

A large shadow looms over you, and you turn to see a massive hammer swinging itself down upon your head. You swiftly dodge backwards in order to avoid it, and the hammer manages to create a large hole in the floor, leading to another train car below you. This train really is huge…

As Scaramouche’s flute continues to play, numerous weapons rise up from underneath the passengers seats and fly freely through the air as if they were alive. Even the passengers themselves seem to be responding to this strange phenomenon, as they rise from their seats and turn towards you in an unnatural manner.

[Trixy]: Wade, I am not detecting any life signs from those individuals.

[Wade]: So what, they’re like...puppets or something?

The passengers charge at you all at once, with reckless abandon.

[Trixy]: Precisely.

>Transform into an alien. (Which one?)

>Try to destroy Scaramouche’s flute with your wrist blaster. He must be the one behind this.

The Omnitrix’s core pops up, and the biohazard symbol from before replaces the original hourglass emblem. You’ll never get over how cool that is.

Your muscles grow large and dense, and your skin grows tough and thick as leather. Your mouth grows into a pronounced snout and your teeth are replaced by several dozen razor sharp fangs.

You’ve become Knuckle Duster! But you feel a bit different…

You feel a primal hunger welling up within you. One that cannot be sated, no matter how much you ate. The feeling of an empty stomach is enough to drive a member of your species insane. But this...this is just torture.

>You’ve become Viral Knuckle Duster!

The passengers continue to charge towards you with little to no regard for their safety. If what Trixy said is true, then you don’t have to hold back.

You try to open your mouth, but you notice that two of your teeth have grown exponentially and curled around your snout. They seem a bit gnarly, but you feel like you can easily push them aside to open your mouth.

You slowly open your jaws, and just for a moment, you feel great wave of pressure released from your mouth. You panic for a moment, and turn to face a bench that’s bolted to the floor. But the powerful suction of the whatever was lying dormant within your gut makes short work of the bench, crushing it to dust and sending it into your body.

Unlike every other time you’ve used Knuckle Duster, you don’t feel any stronger after having consumed the material. However, you feel an unfamiliar, warm feeling forming in your gut.

You always joked about Knuckle Duster being a bottomless pit, but this is ridiculous! It’s almost as if you had swallowed a black hole!

But it doesn’t look like the passengers were bothered by your transformation or your unusual display of power. You’re not even sure if you understand it.

>Don’t think. Just consume.
>Keep your mouth shut and barrel through the puppets with brute force alone.

You grab the hammer that nearly bashed your head in and grip it firmly with both hands.

You prepare to swing it towards the puppets, but you can’t seem to make the hammer budge, even with your inhuman strength. It remains firmly fixed in place as it hovers above your head. You can actually hear Scaramouche ridiculing you in the corner of the room.

[Scaramouche]: Guess you bit off more than you can chew, huh?

He continues to play his flute, but with much harsher tones than the ones you heard before. And just then, you’re dragged into the air and thrown into a wall! The hammer is tossing you around the cabin like a ragdoll, and using your body to smash everything in sight.

And for some reason, you can’t seem to loosen your grip on the hammer at all. Maybe you’re under the effect of some sort of spell.

You attempt to force the hammer to stop tossing you about, but it flips you onto your back the moment you try to use your strength. It must be using your own weight against you.

And with one high pitched note played from Scaramouche’s flute, the hammer smashes through the wall of the train car, and nearly sends you hurtling off of the bridge. You dangle precariously near the edge of the train tracks, while the train itself is moving at full speed and the harsh winds whip away at your scaly face.

You try to regain your balance, but the passengers pile on top of you in an attempt to push you over the edge.

You need to get this situation under control!

>Try to eat the hammer!
>Have Trixy cancel your transformation and allow the hammer to take your gauntlets over the edge instead.
>Push the hammer onto the train tracks in order to generate enough electricity to electrocute the puppets.
>Let loose a powerful plasma belch to push yourself backwards and away from the edge of the train tracks.

You unlatch your long, curled tusks, and open your mouth in an attempt to consume the hammer. The metal warps, bends and breaks apart as it flies into your mouth without harming your body. Looks like you’re immune to the effects of your own ability. But you can feel your stomach churning even more now.

Now that your hands are free, you step away from the edge of the tracks and attempt to deal with the puppets that have piled on top of you.

But just then, you feel a strange tingling sensation on your scales, and you notice a hard, metallic layer forming over them. It almost looks like the same material from the hammer that you just ate. Maybe you’ve developed a mutation similar to Kevin’s!

[Scaramouche]: You’re still not dead even after I finished my killer flute solo?! Just take the dive, babe!

Scaramouche throws a tantrum in his seat as he bangs his metal hands onto the fragile wooden armrests of his chair.

But with a snap of his finger and the birth of a yet another devious plot to kill you, his mood quickly improves.

[Scaramouche]: I think it’s time for an encore, don't you?~.

He lets out a loud whistle and you hear the sound of gears shifting and steam blowing furiously. Next thing you know, another train car has been elevated to cover the hole in the wall that the hammer made. And this one is filled to the brim with robot assassins! And they're all armed to the teeth!

[Wade]: What is up with this train?!

Your outburst causes the singularity within your gut to flare up for a moment. Gotta be careful when you open your mouth. Can’t afford to be careless here.

What do you do?

You open your mouth wide and unleash the wrath of the hungry parasite that's taken residence in your stomach. The solid, metal frames of the robots twist and break apart from the force of your vacuum, before flying directly into your mouth to feed your parasite. It feels strange to not be able to eat anything as Knuckle Duster, but you guess that's probably the only thing that could pose a legitimate threat to his species.

It only takes you a few moments to clear out the neighboring train car. You even swallowed up all of the furniture and luggage that was stored in there!

And as for the puppets, they no longer pose a threat to you now that you're able to defend yourself.

You use your tail to slap them off of your back and pull them towards your mouth. The rest is history.

Scaramouche is clearly shaken by your display of monstrous strength. So much so that he actually gets up from his seat and slowly backs away from you.

[Scaramouche]: Whoa there, big fella. Let's not do anything that I'd regret…

Your large, hulking frame casts a shadow over him as you approach the shivering robot. He laughs nervously, before bolting towards the nearest door and entering the neighboring train car.

You chase after him and enter barrel through the metal door, but it would seem that you've lost sight of him and gained the attention of the passengers and pedestrians sitting in the train car.

He couldn't have gotten away that fast. This train really is playing tricks on you. You consider the possibility that this entire vehicle is an elaborate deathtrap or maze.

But what these guys don't know is that Knuckle Duster has a highly developed sense of smell. You should be able to track down your friends and foes with ease, so long as they haven't fled the country within the five minutes that you spent in the bathroom.

But you'll need to prepare for the worst. Even if you manage to run into someone that you know, then you're just as likely to run into a load of trouble along the way.

You get a sense of where the familiar scent is coming from, before timing out and summoning Trixy.

[Wade]: Hey Trixy, can you scan this train and see what you can learn about it? Like timed intervals of change or patterns of any kind would help.

[Trixy]: I’ll see what I can do, Wade.

And without even asking, Trixy highlights the trail that leads to the location of the familiar scent you picked up on earlier. You’re a bit anxious to see if it’s coming from someone that you know from the past.

------------------

You make your way through the train, hoping that you don’t get lost in this awful maze again. You have no idea how everyone else is dealing with this without complaining or getting upset. Are they used to it? Or maybe you’re being targeted specifically.

[Trixy]: You’ve arrived at your destination.

With Trixy's help, you managed to track down the scent without getting turned around or ambushed. At least, not yet...

You followed the source of the scent to some sort of cargo hold where they keep the luggage of the passengers. Who could possibly be in here?

Suddenly, you feel the weight of a person drop down upon your shoulders, forcing you to the ground due to your armor’s inability to compensate.

[???]: Tell me what you want, or I’ll claw your eyes out!

Wait, that sounds alot like…

[Gwen]: ...Wade?

You turn around to see your favorite purple cat in the form of a fully grown woman. It’s Gwen! And she...grew a body for some reason. It's actually making you a bit uncomfortable to be honest.

[Wade]: Hey Gwen. Long time no see.

Her eyes go wide and she jumps off of you, before lending a hand to help you up.

[Gwen]: Yeah, I’ll say. How are you even here?!

[Wade]: Well I-

Her ears twitch violently and she places her padded finger on your lips in order to silence you.

[Gwen]: Hold up. We’ve got company…

Really? It seems really quiet in here.

But just then, four people jump out of the corners of the room and descend upon you without hesitation! It looks like the warrior princess, well-dressed gentleman, and Siamese cats from earlier have all decided to ambush you simultaneously!

[Wade]: Oh, come on! These guys are after me too?!

[Wade]: Gonna need a Viral Form really fast!

[Trixy]: G͓̜̪̐͆̈͝ͅo̺̳͌ȉ͖̺̩̋̈́̉͟n͕͉̂̊̃g̯̰͊͡ ̫̊͞V̗̗͑̚į̨̺̹͑̔̍̕ȑ̫̘̤̂͘a̮̳̻͛͛l̨̥̇͂

Your Omnitrix gives off a radiant glow as the hourglass emblem transforms into a biohazard symbol.

You feel a tough carapace forming over your skin, as your hands reshape themselves into pincers and your legs split into four talon-like limbs. But the greatest change comes from enlargement of your brain. It's as if an entire Galaxy's worth of knowledge was born within your thick skull in an instant.

You've become Brainstorm! But you feel a little different…

Your powerful brain is wracked by a crippling migraine, making it difficult for you to focus your thoughts. And your she'll becomes dry and flaky as it loses its luster.

>You've become Viral Brainstorm!

As the four assassins approach you with their weapons drawn, you're brought to your knees by the severity of your migraine. How exactly does Trixy think this form is useful?!

[Gwen]: Look out!

You scream out in pain as your mind is overloaded by electricity. The power is so intense, that you can't even contain it with your skull plates. You can barely stop it from leaking out in the form of...bubbles?

To your surprise, the bubbles manage to successfully bounce your enemies back with an explosive spark.

You've never knew Brainstorm could become this powerful!

[Gwen]: Well, that's new...

Gwen marvels at the electrified bubbles and decides to poke one with her claw. Surprisingly though, it doesn't pop.

[Wade]: Maybe this one isn't so useless after all.

You think you'll be able to make great use of your new "Thought Bubble" ability. Once you figure out how they work, of course.

>Cover the warrior princess with bubbles and use them to stick her to the ceiling.
>Bury the cats under a mountain of luggage.
>Fill the room with bubbles and carefully calculate their trajectory to redirect your enemies' attacks.

You release a stream of electrified bubbles that crackle and spark as they fly through the air.

The warrior princess attempts to defend herself with her sword, by slicing each individual bubble, one by one. At first you thought the notion was completely ridiculous, but she quickly proves you wrong when you witness her lightning-fast sword slashes.

Her swings are so quick that your eyes can barely catch them. Her skill is undeniable, but this just isn't a fight that she can win.

The bubbles eventually overtake her, and stick fast to her armor, skin and hair.

She panics and tries to pop them, but quickly becomes frustrated to learn that her efforts are in vain.

You send over a faint electrical signal from your brain, causing a reaction from the bubbles that are stuck to her. She begins to slowly rise into the air, with little to no control over her own body.

Eventually, she reaches the ceiling of the cargo Bay and remains stuck due to the powerful static cling of your bubbles. But due to her stubborn nature, she continues to struggle and squirm, even in her subdued state.

The Siamese cats attempt to attack you while you're distracted, but Gwen makes quick work of them with a large mana construct in the shape of a hand that squishes them against the wall beside you.

The only one enemy that remains is the well dressed gentleman, and he looks like he might make a break for it any moment now.

[Gentleman]: This is why I don't work with amateurs.

He reaches into his cloak and tosses two sharp daggers at you in one fluid motion. Gwen tries to shield you with a Mana construct, but you stop her by placing your claw in front of her. You want to try something.

You quickly create a group of charged bubbles and spread them around the room. And right before the dagger can reach you, one of your bubbles deflects them and passes its electric charge onto the thrown weapons.

They proceed to bounce around the room, building up speed and energy with each bubble that they come in contact with. You can tell that the Gentleman is having trouble tracking their movement with his eyes. But you can't blame him. If it weren't for your split second calculations, you'd have no idea where they were going either.

And once you feel like they've built up enough energy, you bounce the daggers back towards the Gentleman. He cowers in fear at the thought of being impaled, but you weren't really aiming to kill or maim him here.

The daggers graze the fringes of his cloak, ever so slightly, and passes the built-up energy through his clothing, and eventually to his fair skin. The resulting shock causes him to seize up and lose consciousness almost immediately.

You and Gwen stare at his smoldering body, and then to each other.

[Gwen]: Okay, now you're just showing off.

You totally were.

[Wade]: Incorrect. I was simply testing a hypothesis.

Gwen rolls her eyes and crouches down to rummage through a shiny, silver briefcase lying on the floor.

You time out in a burst of golden light that illuminates the dark, musty room. And you're relieved to find that your splitting headache is gone.

[Wade]: Time travel. Paradox sent me here to find a sword that can kill Aku in the past.

Her eyes go wide from shock as she drops what she's doing and rises to her feet. She's actually a bit taller than you in her current form.

[Gwen]: No kidding? I didn't know a weapon like that existed. And if they're keeping it on this train, then they must not know what it can do.

She presses her claw against her cheek and paces back and forth through the cargo hold.

[Wade]: So what, they think it's just a normal sword?

[Gwen]: It's possible. Either they don't think it's capable of harming Aku, or they're setting a trap to lure you to your doom. Either way, this should be interesting.

She goes back to rummaging through luggage, but you remain unsatisfied with the answers she's giving you.

[Wade]: Last time I saw you, you were still a house cat. What's with the curves and opposable thumbs?

[Gwen]: Oh this? It just kinda happened when I became the ruler of Ledgerdomain. Charmcaster told me that my servants wouldn't respect me if I was a "mangy purple fuzzball". So I gave myself a makeover.

You have so many questions.

[Gwen]: I thought about reverting to my original form after Ledgerdomain was destroyed during the war, but it kinda grew on me, you know?

And now you have even more! But you think it'd be smart to save them for later.

[Wade]: So how'd you end up on this crazy train?

[Gwen]: I'm participating in the treasure hunt. Why else?

[Wade]: Treasure hunt?

You scratch your head in confusion and Gwen turns to face you, seemingly dumbfounded by your answer.

[Gwen]: The treasure hunt? The world-wide event where you compete to raid Aku's treasure train and try to get out alive? You seriously didn't know about any of that?!

[Wade]: Uhhh…

You will admit, you found it to be unusual that they let so many people aboard a train loaded with Aku's valuable possessions.

It would also explain why you haven't seen a single security guard on this entire train, and why you're being attacked mercilessly by these criminals. They're just trying to stomp out the competition.

[Wade]: Doesn't matter. We just need to man the sword and get off at the next stop.

She shakes her head from side to side and exhales deeply.

[Gwen]: Here's the thing. The only scheduled stop is right at Aku's doorstep. If we can't find that sword in time, then we need to bail out before Aku and his cronies vaporize us.

This is such a stupid contest. Why would anyone voluntarily agree to these conditions?

[Trixy]: I believe I have discovered a way to temporarily traverse this train without us getting lost. However, it's algorithms are constantly changing at random times intervals to prevent us from cheating. If you wish to locate the sword, then you should take the opportunity to do it now.

[Wade]: In that case, I’m going to go look for the sword. And if we see the others along the way, we can regroup with them.

[Gwen]: Good call. I’m sure they’ll be fine. Whoever they are…

Gwen’s words aren’t very reassuring, but you get the gist of what she’s saying. You doubt that your friends would go down without a fight.

[Wade]: Fine, let’s go.

The two of you follow the detailed map that Trixy laid out for you. Somehow, you manage to avoid contact with any of the more serious competitors. But by waiting for the train cars to switch around, you end up taking a much more roundabout way to reach the treasure room.

Gwen assists you in your search by reaching through the mana field in order to detect any magical items that might be on the train.

One in particular draws her attention. She describes it as a "Massive well of magic potential unlike any other that she'd ever sensed before", so you figured that it was safe to assume that you should head towards it.

She reaches into one of the overhead luggage compartments in the train car that you're in, and she pulls out a sheathed katana.

[Gwen]: I...I think this is it.

[Wade]: There's no way it was that easy.

>You've received the Blade of Evil's Babe!

Holy shit, it really was that easy! What a stupid hiding place!

You take it from Gwen's hands, and a warm feeling spreads throughout your body. You're suddenly overcome with a sense of clarity and tranquility.

Just then, the ceiling above you collapses, and a large figure descends upon you. It's Vilgax!

[Samurai]: I heard you took out Demongo. I underestimated you, kid.

You look behind yourself to see the cybernetic Samurai that's been chasing you during the past few weeks. You and Gwen get a bit closer to each other as you stand back to back against your enemies.

[Samurai]: But now you've got nowhere to run.

He draws his sword and runs towards you with the aid of his augmented muscles. You figured you'd have to face him eventually, but he has no idea that he's way in over his head on this one!

What do you do?

>Test out your new sword on Vilgax!
>Clash swords with the Samurai.
>Transform into an alien. (Which one?)
>Attempt to escape into this stupid maze of a train.

[Wade]: Let's do this!

You unsheathe your sword and dash towards the Samurai with it raised above your hip. Your blade clashes with his, causing sparks to fly off of them from the friction that you’ve created. Your augmented muscles struggle against his, and you begin to wonder if this sword is sturdy enough to stand the strain of your suit’s power.

The Samurai breaks away first by taking a small back-step and following up with a downward swing. You parry the blade without much difficulty and as your sword glides against his weapon, you push it aside and transition into a diagonal slash in one fluid motion.

He twirls the hilt over his hand and brings the sword up to his face in order to block your strike, but you manage to push him back against one of the train’s seats. And it looks like your sword chipped away at the armor on his left arm!

He grunts in frustration, and runs towards you whilst performing a quick flourish with his blade. And in response, you imitate this very same move and clash swords with him in the center of the car once again.

[Samurai]: Not bad. Who trained you?

[Wade]: ...Sumo Slammers movies.

You’re extremely grateful for your high learning aptitude. It’s saved you more times than you can count. And in this case, it looks like you’ve learned a bit of Bushido!

He kicks your leg and breaks away once again, before leaping into the air to perform a spinning slash.

>Catch him in the air with vertical slash to his stomach.
>Block the slash with your suit’s shields and follow up with a diagonal slash.
>Roll underneath him and try to catch him from behind.
>Duck beneath the blade and extend your sword for a forward stab.

You raise your suit's barriers and brace for impact as his blade glides along the surface of your shield. Once he lands on his feet, you raise your sword above your head and slash at his chest diagonally.

He attempts to jump away, but your blade catches his breastplate and peels away at his armor yet again!

You can see the panic setting in once he realizes that your sword is sharp enough to cleave through the fine graphene polymer mesh that makes up his armor.

[Wade]: This must be pretty embarrassing for you, huh? I mean, to lose to a complete beginner when your name boasts about your skill with the blade...

You smirk at him and raise your blade to eye level.

[Wade]: That's gotta sting.

You're SO gonna brag about this to Ollie and the others when you get back home!

The Samurai rubs his exposed chest for a moment as he tries to formulate a plan of attack.

[Samurai]: You're up big guy.

You turn around to see Vilgax tossing Gwen aside and breaking her mana constructs with ease. His skin tone has darkened considerably, and his visage becomes even more horrifying. Could this perhaps be due to Aku's influence?

[Wade]: A bit cowardly, but I can respect it.

You hear, but you don't know how you'll fare against both of these guys. Maybe if you hold out long enough, your friends might eventually find you.

You raise your guard and prepare to be attacked from both sides as your enemies charge at you with reckless abandon.

>Transform into an alien. (Which one?)
>Dodge the Samurai's attack and kick him into Vilgax.
>Flip over Vilgax's head and slash his eye out.
>Blind Vilgax with a stun grenade and make him charge into the Samurai.

>Roll underneath Vilgax and slash at his legs on the way out.

[Wade]: Trixy? A little help here?

Your Omnitrix core pops up, and you watch as the hourglass emblem reshapes itself into a biohazard symbol.

You quickly sift through your biohazard forms, before finally resting on something that resembles Vertigoat. Hopefully he can get you out of this mess!

You slap your hand down onto the Omnitrix core and brace for the massive change in your genetic makeup.

Your limbs shrink, your skin is covered by a thick layer of hair, and your feet are replaced by sturdy hooves. The only painful part of this transformation, would have to be the horns that grow out of your forehead and tear through your skin in an instant.

You've become Vertigoat, but you feel a little different…

Your horns continue to grow. So much so, that they make your head feel extremely heavy. The strain on your neck feels unbearable as the horns branch off and continue to grow uncontrollably, until you can't even walk.

But you don't really think you need to use your legs anymore...

The gravity around your body is heavily distorted by your horns, causing you to hover a few feet above the ground. And you believe that you can manipulate the gravity around you with more precision than you were previously capable of.

But if only you could decrease the weight of these wretched horns…

Oh wait. You totally can!

You raise a hand to the air and call down two massive gravity waves from above. And right before Vilgax or the Samurai can strike you, they are pushed through the floor by an unbearable, invisible force that crashes through the ceiling.

You greatly increase the strength of the gravity waves as they descend, assuring that they continue falling until they reach the bottom.

You calmly descend into the depths of the train and glance over at the treasure hunters spectating in fear. You can still hear the screams of your adversaries even from where you are.

After about a minute, the two of them hit the train’s basement level with a resounding thud. And it would seem that Vilgax landed on top of the Samurai, causing him a great deal of pain.

As levitate towards them, you notice the cogs, pistons and complex mechanisms that keep the train functional and mobile. If you damaged these, the train would probably stop altogether. Though you’d need to secure an escape route before you did that.

You notice Vilgax twitching and groaning in agony as he pulls himself off of the Samurai. But it doesn’t look like his friend is getting up anytime soon.

He clenches his fists and growls at you like a wild animal. The Vilgax you heard from the legends weren’t anything like this. He’s supposed to be cunning, conniving and cruel. But now he’s just...mindless. A small part of you would’ve liked to see Vilgax in his prime. But there’s no chance of that now. Unless he were somehow alive in your timeline…

...NAH! You highly doubt it.

But what if-

Before you can finish your line of thought, Vilgax roars loudly and charges towards you.

>Weigh him down until the pressure makes him immobile.
>Raise him back up to the top of the train and slam him back down to the basement.
>Pin him to a wall with the Samurai’s sword.
>Toss him through a wall and outside of the train.

You raise your hand, and Vilgax slowly rises into the air due to the gravitational distortion around his body. He desperately struggles and claws away at the air in front of you, but to no avail.

And with a wave of your hand, you send Vilgax flying through a concrete wall, and into the lake below the bridge that the train runs on. But before he can hit the surface of the water, a massive sea serpent leaps out to snatch him up and swallow him whole.

[Wade]: So long, squid.

You’re actually really glad that you didn’t get tossed in there by Scaramouche earlier.

[Wendy]: Wade!

You look up to see your friends staring down at you through the hole that you had created by slamming The Samurai and Vilgax through the floor. All the commotion you caused must’ve drawn them to your location. You see Rex, Wendy, Olumar and Gwen. Looks like the gang’s all here!

You fly back up to the top, grabbing your friends along the way and keeping an eye out for anymore surprise attacks. But after your display of power earlier, you doubt anyone here would want to mess with you and your squad.

You set your friends down in an empty train car before timing out of your Viral Form in a flash of golden light. The stress of these back to back Viral transformation nearly causes your knees to buckle underneath the weight of your body as you struggle to stand. You didn’t realize how exhausted you were until now.

[Olumar]: Master? Are you feeling unwell?

Olumar’s genuine concern is a welcome change from the hostility of these treasure hunters.

[Wade]: I’m fine. Just gotta keep moving.

You notice that Rex and Wendy are trying to figure out what’s up with Gwen’s new form. Wendy seems to have a new cybernetic arm, along with a heavy blaster pistol at her hip.

[Wade]: Someone went shopping.

She runs her fingers along the grooves of her new robot arm, clearly proud of her haul.

[Wendy]: Well yeah, there’s all kinds of shit lying around here. You should’ve picked out something nice for yourself.

[Rex]: Yeah? Well all I got was a black eye.

Rex’s swollen eye leads you to believe that he was most likely fighting for his life in this stupid treasure hunt. Wendy smirks and raises an eyebrow at her companion.

[Wendy]: I don’t know. It looks kinda good on you.

This somehow invokes a smile from Rex, but his expression quickly changes when he notices the sword on your back.

[Rex]: Is that what I think it is?

>”You bet your ass it is!” Whip it out and show off your newfound skill for a bit.
>”Yup. Now let’s get off of this train and agree to never come back.”

[Wade]: In all its glory. Wanna hold it?

You remove the blade from its scabbard and hand it over to Rex. He seems absolutely awestruck, as he goes to a quiet corner and swings it around while making lightsaber noises. You only wish that The Scotsman and Da Samurai were here so you could tease them a bit more.

[Wendy]: Okay, so we finally got the stupid thing. Can we leave already?

Wendy pouts while crossing her arms in a huff.

[Wade]: Yup. As soon as Paradox gets here.

Just then, a bright portal opens up behind you, and you see a man in a white lab coat exiting the temporal temporal rift.

[Paradox]: Did someone call my name?

It’s Paradox! You’ve never been happier to see this man in your entire life!

[Paradox]: I take it you have the sword?

You point to Rex in the corner of the room and quietly observe as he swings the sword around as if it were a toy. He turns and notices that everyone has cast a judgmental gaze in his direction, which influences him to shamefully return the blade to you.

[Paradox]: Excellent! Now we can-

[Olumar]: Hold on. Something’s going on at the other end of this train.

Olumar cradles a crystal ball of some sort, and gazes deep into its smokey depths.

[Olumar]: It’s Anaris and the others. They’re in danger!

[Wendy]: But they won’t be if we leave right now. We can make sure that this fucked up future never comes to pass.

She makes a good point, but it still doesn't sit right with you. Rex seems conflicted, but he remains silent regardless.

Everyone looks to you to make the final judgement. What will you do?

>”They didn’t abandon us, so we won’t abandon them.”

You’re torn and conflicted. You need to get back to your own time. But there’s now way you could abandon your friends. Even if they are just their alternate counterparts.

And that’s when it hits you.

You turn to Gwen and Olumar, gently place a hand on their shoulders and remove your helmet in order to look them in the eyes.

[Wade]: I hate to ask this of you, but do you think you guys can help our friends out?

They smile and nod to one another before turning to face you once more.

[Olumar]: I understand, Master. I had a feeling that I would not be able to return with you.

For a moment, she’s unable to mask her sorrow and disappointment.

[Olumar]: However, I am content with knowing that somewhere, some-when, you and I live in peace and happiness. That is enough for me.

Tears begin flowing from her bright blue eyes, and you pat her head one last time as she wipes her face. Gwen kneels down to rub her back and calm her down.

[Gwen]: It’s okay. We’re okay. Go do your thing, hero.

You hug them both one last time and whisper into their ears.

[Wade]: I’m sorry. I really am. But I need you to go find a smelly Scotsman and a black guy with funky clothing. Just tell them that I sent you.

You break away from them and walk towards the time portal with the rest of your group. You turn around one last time, and you see your old friends waving at you.

[Olumar]: Farewell, Master.

[Gwen]: Say hi to Ollie for me, okay?

You nod at them, and put your helmet back on before walking through the portal. The two of them continue to wave until you and the others disappear inside of a bright, white flash.

[Olumar]: We’ve lived for quite a long time, haven’t we?

Gwen crosses her arms and continues to stare into the empty space where you once were.

[Gwen]: Yeah, we have. But I wouldn’t mind going out with a bang.

Olumar smiles and offers her hand to Gwen.

[Olumar]: Shall we?

Gwen takes her hand and the two of them slowly walk towards the train’s exit. They had failed to protect their loved ones in the past, and they felt as if they had no choice but to harden their hearts towards the galaxy and everyone that remained in it. However, they are now filled with a newfound determination to fulfill the final request of a friend that they had once lost. And they do not intend to break that promise.

>30 seconds later...

Aku witnesses the sudden disappearance of the three individuals that had disturbed his slumber. Everyone who witnesses it is just as confused and distraught as he is, but he decides to play it off as if it were caused by him.

[Aku]: Wha-I mean...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-!

The three of you suddenly arrive at the very same location that you had disappeared from a moment ago, causing Aku to jump back in surprise.

[Aku]: AH! What’s going on?!

[Wade]: AKU, YOU RAT BASTARD! WE’VE HAD ENOUGH! WE'RE FINISHING THIS HERE AND NOW!

[Wendy]: WE’LL KICK YOUR ASS, YOU NIGHT-GOWN WEARING FUCKWAD!

[Rex]: YOU’RE GONNA WISH YOU HAD STAYED DOWN IN THAT CAVE AS A DIRTY PILE OF GOO!

All of the pent up stress, grief and frustration comes pouring out all at once, as the three of you display the height of the animosity that you've harbored towards Aku after all this time. And for some reason, the crowd starts insulting him along with you, ignorant of the danger that lay before them. Aku begins to panic as the heroes and civilians alike begin throwing trash at him.

You whip your sword out and prepare to strike your opponent with your allies by your side.

[Aku]: Hold on! Where is all of this negative energy coming from? I didn’t even get to do anything yet!

It really doesn’t matter. You don’t care about what he’s done. But, you’ve seen what he’s capable of doing. And that’s a good enough reason to strike him down here and now!

[Wade]: Everyone, on me!

You raise the blade to your hip and break into a full sprint towards the self proclaimed Shapeshifting Master of Darkness, with Rex and Wendy following close behind.

And you don't have to turn around to confirm that the rest of the hero community is following your lead. Their ferocious war cries and the familiar sound of leather boots slapping against the pavement is all the assurance you needed.

Your violent and rebellious response to Aku's arrival seems to have upset him.

[Aku]: If none of you will serve me, then I'll crush you like ants!

Aku points his hands at the ground, conjures up a large ball of flame in his hands, and fires it at you in a thick stream. You try to dodge, but several heroes manage to shield the entire group with elemental barriers before you have the chance to move.

When the earth construct goes down, an ice barrier replaces it immediately afterwards. And when the ice barrier melts, a psychic barrier replaces it without delay. This process continues in a cycle, until Aku stops his assault to see if you've been obliterated.

Once the heat dies down, you and the other jump out of the barrier and rush Aku!

You raise your sword to the air and slash away at the fringes of his black cloak.

Your blade tears through his dark flesh with ease, and the sound of ringing metal reverberates through your ears.

Aku panics upon realizing that you've actually managed to wound him. And the wound doesn't appear to be healing either.

[Aku]: AHHH! It burns!

Yeah, it better!

You slash away at his fabric-like flesh once more, causing Aku to scream and quickly move away from you.

[Aku]: This is impossible!

As he prepares to strike you with his dark magic, he is suddenly overwhelmed by the brave and noble heroes that are supporting you. Aku swats at them as if they were tiny insects, but his flailing arms fail to connect with a single person in the crowd.

You're particularly surprised but their coordination and communication. You've never seen a group of mutants and masterminds this large, focused on a singular threat. You even think you can see some villains mixed in there!

While they keep him occupied, you carve away at Aku's flesh without even a shred of Mercy. And whenever he shrinks away from you, the rest of your group corners him and limits his movement.

[Aku]: ENOUGH!!!

Aku's body retracts into itself, and he quickly shoots straight up into the air as he reverts to an amorphous blob.

But in mere seconds, he manages to reshape his body into that of a large bird!

He begins to cackle maniacally, as he descends upon you and your teammates at an alarming rate. This causes everyone around you to go into a state of panic, as they scramble to avoid being caught by Aku's razor sharp talons.

[Rex]: You know we probably should've seen this coming. He is called the "Shapeshifting Master of Darkness". We were bound to see some Shapeshifting at some point.

[Wendy]: Not helping!

(Cont.)
>>
Aku continues to swoop down and terrorize you, until you decide to bait him into targeting you specifically.

[Wade]: C'mon, bird brain! Can't you hit anything?!

Aku roars loudly and flies into a mad rage as he targets you with his talons.

You wait for a few seconds, allowing him to get closer so that you may increase your chances of fatally wounding him. Wendy and Rex rush to your side, but they seem to be moving in slow motion due to your adrenaline fueled, heightened senses.

Once Aku gets within spitting range, you leap into the air and tear through his chest with a swing of your blade. You nearly managed to take his head off with that attack!

Clearly shaken by your martial prowess, Aku staggers into the center of the street and collapses to the ground, as everyone stares in silence.

[Rex]: Did we get him?

Well...almost everyone.

Suddenly, you feel an ominous tremor around your feet and you see the cars around you starting to rock back and forth. Gasps and whispers are carried by the wind, and you sense a heavy wave of anxiety sweeping over the others.

And just then, Aku rises from the ground once more, in the form of a mighty dragon! His loud roar overpowers the terrified screams of the other heroes that stand by your side.

He shoots a stream of flame into the air in order to scare you, but you can't help but notice that some of the fire is spilling out of that gaping hole that you made in his neck.

What do you do?

A torrent of flame spills from Aku's gaping maw, flooding the streets with sweltering heat and red hot plasma.

You break away from the group and circle to his left, narrowly avoiding his flames.

You had assumed that he was targeting you, since your sword is the only thing that can him. And it looks like you were right on the money. The moment you broke away from the group, he stopped attacking them.

The torrent of flame singed your back as it draws closer to you, and to your surprise, the heat is so intense that it starts to peel away at your armor!

You hop on top of a parked car and use your augmented muscles to launch yourself high into the air, utilizing the roof of the car as a spring-board in the process.

You then leap off of a street-lamp, poising yourself to strike as you soar through the air and towards Aku.

But just before your blade can catch his throat, you notice the tear in his neck getting wider and wider. The torn, ebony fabric that makes up his damaged flesh begins to grow jagged and sharp. If you had to compare them to something, you'd have to say that they remind you of teeth

He continues to tear the gap, stretching it wide open like the maw of an abyssal creature, and he proceeds to spew a wave of fire that envelops your body as you draw ever closer.

The scorching flames peel away at your suit's armor, exposing certain parts of your flesh and giving you minor burns.

You grit your teeth and fight through the pain, knowing full well that there's no going back after you've made it this far.

You swing your sword against the tide of fire, catching his neck and severing you his head in one might swing!

Your body plummets to the ground, along with whatever remains of Aku. But right before you hit the pavement, Rex catches you with his Snack Hands at the last moment.

[Rex]: And they call me reckless.

You struggle to smile at your friend, but your burned skin makes the task all the more difficult.

But just when you think it's over, you catch a dark figure moving in the corner of your eye. And you turn to see Aku's body dissolving into goo and fleeing into the sewer grates and storm drains!

[Wendy]: Ugh, don't tell me we have to go down there…

You don't think he's trying to hide in the sewers. Not even he would stoop that low. No, there's someplace else he'd rather try to hide. The place where this all started.

[Wade]: He's headed into Undertown!

A look of horror spreads across Wendy's face when she learns of this.

[Wendy]: There's still people down there!

Everyone looks to you for guidance, but you're finding it difficult to stay on your feet, let alone lead an entire team.

You look over to the assembly of heroes that joined you in battle, but they look a little shaken up. At first, you think it’s because they were frightened of Aku, but from the way they’re looking at you, it’s safe to assume that they’re shocked from seeing how much damage you took during that fight.

Part of your mask has been severely damaged, exposing your right eye and a patch of your brown hair. Your arms and abdomen are covered in minor burns, making it hard for you to move properly. The bastard even managed to burn your jacket!

You didn’t think that your reputation mattered that much to these guys. To them, it must feel like watching Superman bleed. But at the end of the day, you’re only human. An enhanced human, but still human.

[Wade]: I need you guys to evacuate Undertown so Aku can’t hurt anyone while we track him down. Team up with Providence and the local police if you have to. We all need to work together on this.

Some of them seem a bit skeptical on the matter of teaming up with Providence, but luckily, there are a few heroes in the crowd that know and respect you.

[Wilderbee]: Alright X, but you owe me an appearance on my talk show once this is all over.

The cocky blonde super-celebrity known as Wilderbee tries to strike a deal he knows you’d normally refuse. The sneaky bastard…

[Wade]: ...I’ll think about it.

[Goose]: Aww, but I really wanted to be a part of the season finale! This QM has shown me like, zero love in this story arc.

As usual, you have absolutely no idea what Goose is talking about. She’s always staring into space and saying things that don’t make a lick of sense. You find that it’s best to ignore her.

[Wade]: Maybe next time, Goose.

The two of them help to convince the others to go along with your plan, while Rex talks to Agent Six about playing nice with the hero community. He begrudgingly agree and scowls in your direction for about a minute.

You think he’s starting to like you a little!

As the others start to mobilize, you meet up with Rex and Wendy to discuss your plan.

[Wade]: We’ll track him down and corner him like a rat! He won’t escape this time.

[Wendy]: And how exactly do we do that?

[Wade]: We ask the locals while they evacuate the city. Surely they must’ve seen something during all this commotion.

Rex and Wendy seem worried about your health, but they know better than to try to make you sit on the sidelines.

The three of you go ahead of the rest of the group and begin questioning the local aliens as they evacuate. It took a few minutes to find someone that witnessed Aku fleeing into the underground depths of Bellwood, but you’re glad that you took the time to ask around.

Once you’ve made sure that the civilians are out of the way, you proceed into the dark depths of Undertown’s mining shafts. You believe this is where they had first found Aku. Maybe it’s where he feels the safest?

As you delve deeper into the tunnels depths, you feel a cold, stiff breeze nipping at your exposed skin. You and Wendy are forced to use your built-in flashlights to light the path ahead of you. But you can only see a few feet ahead of you with all this dust and dirt flying through the air.

[Rex]: Look out!

You immediately turn around with your blade drawn to block a black scythe cutting through the darkness. And when you look around to examine your surroundings, you come to find that you’re being surrounded by shadowy figures with blades for hands. You don’t doubt that this is Aku’s handiwork.

You riposte the attack that you had previously parried, and slash at the shadowy figure’s chest, causing him to disappear in a puff of smoke. The three of you stand back to back, with your weapons raised against a large group of shadow clones, poised to strike.

>Transform into an alien. (Which one?)
>Patiently wait for the shadow creatures to strike, and cut them down as your friends provide cover.
>Turn off your flashlight, turn on your night vision and hack away at the clones while they struggle to find you.
>Collapse the tunnel and leave them trapped inside. You need to find Aku’s main body.

>101!

You shuffle towards the center of the cave with the others and take a defensive stance. The shadowy figures stare in silence, patiently waiting for an opportunity to strike, and you do the same.

For about half a minute, the only thing you can hear is the faint echo of water dripping into a puddle. Rex clenches his fists for a moment, and the sound of crunching metal fills the room as the shadowy figures twitch ever so slightly.

And just then, they all leap into the air in an attempt to pounce on you all at once. But their blades are blocked by a pair of large shields being generated from Rex's arms. And when they attempt to slip past him, Wendy delivers a powerful blast from her Sonic cannon in order to knock them back.

During all of this commotion, you slash away at the staggered stragglers that are left with their flanks wide open. All it takes is a single swing to take down each opponent, making it much easier for you to chain your attacks together flawlessly.

With minimal movements and fluid motions, you're able to party and riposte your enemies attacks with ease. They can't even touch you! You don't even know how your arms are moving like this, but you don't care!

>Learned the Water Stance!

As your exhaustion grows, your movements become more fluid and your mind becomes clearer.

You continue to cut down and every clone that tries to attack you with the utmost skill and precision. It's almost as if your blade was an extension on your own body. You feel like a man possessed!

And before you know it, you've already cleared the room without taking a single injury!

The heavy panting of your teammates fills the room, and your focus shifts away from the ghastly remains of your foes as they fade into nothingness.

[Rex]: Where'd you learn that?

[Wade]: Well, I-

Before you respond, you're caught in the tight grasp of a giant, black hand, and pulled into the dark tunnel behind you.

[Wendy]: Wade!!

As you fall through the abyss, you can hear your sister's voice fading in the distance, as she shouts your name from afar.

[Trixy]: Proximity warning!

You turn around just in time to avoid having your head slam against the cave floor. As soon as the hand loosens its grasp, you tuck your head into your chest and allow your body to roll along the floor.

Once you raise your head, you see Aku standing before you, wearing the armor of a Shogun. He's much smaller than before, but he's still pretty tall for human standards. You estimate his height to be at least 7ft.

[Aku]: You impress me, Samurai. No one has ever driven me into a corner like this. Take pride in that, as your head falls from your shoulder!

He summons a black sword to his hand and jumps toward you with it raised above his head.

You roll to the side to avoid it, and step in to strike him in the back, but your attack is knocked back by a swift horizontal slash from Aku. You slide backward and stop just short of hitting the cave wall.

He's undoubtedly strong. Your blade is still ringing from the impact. And here he comes again!

You jump around in the dark to avoid his powerful swings, but the dirt and dust that he's kicking up is limiting your vision.

You suddenly stumble and fall backwards after your foot catches on some sort of obstruction. You initially assumed that it was a rock, but upon closer inspection, it would seem that Aku stretched his foot around and place it behind you.

[Aku]: Aha!

He leaps into the air whilst cackling like a mad man, and he tries to impale you with a downward stab. However, you decide to grab a fist full of dirt and through it in his eyes, effectively blinding him.

And while his eyes are closed, you roll onto your feet and slice into his neck as his feet touch the ground. You drag your sword across his body in a diagonal line, carving through his dark skin without Mercy. But before you can cut through his body completely, he reaches his hand out and tears open a swirling portal of some sort. It actually looks really similar to the portals that Paradox uses...

[Aku]: Farewell Samurai!

He pushes you into the portal, and you desperately reach for something to hold onto, but you only manage to grab hold of your sword before you're sucked into the monochrome temporal rift.

As you drift into the endless abyss, you hear Aku cackling maniacally through the shrinking portal entrance.

Is this really how it ends? You'll have to watch as your loved ones suffer and die under the hand of a tyrannical demon, knowing full well that you let down everyone that was counting on you? That has to be a fate worse than death…

Just then, you feel a gentle push on your back, sending you hurtling towards the portal's exit once more. You turn around to see Professor Paradox, floating in the endless expanse, waving and winking at you.

[Wade]: Thanks, Prof.

You grip your blade's hilt, and prepare to cut down the evil bastard that nearly ruined your life.

---------------

Aku continues to cackle to himself in the dark cave.

[Aku]: AHAHAHAHAHA! H-he should seen his face! He was all like "Huh?!"

You fly out of the portal with your sword raised above your head, and Aku's face drops upon catching sight of its glimmer.

[Aku]: I-Impossible!

He tries to shield his body with his sword, but he's far too late!

[Wade]: Back to the past!

You cleave through his torso completely, causing his body to split apart.

[Wade]: WACHA!

Aku's body begins to emit bright, white beams of blinding light that flood the cave. You shield your eyes and recoil as Aku let's out one last deafening scream, before his body erupts violently, and dissipates as a puff of smoke.

Your body nearly collapses as you fall to one knee and let your muscles relax. You're sore all over, and it kinda hurts to breathe. You have no idea how your body held out for this long, but you're grateful that it did.

Your weary eyes nearly close shut on their own, until you hear the footsteps of your companions coming to save you. They slide down the deep incline of the cave opening, run straight past Aku's charred remains and kneel down at your collapsed form. Their relieved expressions say more than they ever could in this one moment.

They pull you off of the ground, sling your arms over their shoulders and raise you to your feet.

[Wendy]: You know, I'd kill you if you weren't half dead already.

Her snarky remark almost stings more than your burn wounds do.

[Wade]: No please, put me out of my misery!

You groan in pain as the mocking laughter of your friends echo throughout the tunnels.

-------------

You managed to find a way out of Undertown without being spotted by the authorities or the hero community. Rex promised that he'd sort everything out and confirm Aku's destruction, while Wendy helped you to get home.

[Wade]: Thanks...for everything I mean.

[Wendy]: No problem. What's family for, right?

You smile at one another as she lays you against your front door and rustles your hair. But you can't help but feel that her smile seemed a tad bit lonely.

As she begins to walk away, you pry your mask off so that you can breathe a bit easier. The cool night air soothes your burned skin, and the familiar sound of chirping crickets calms your once turbulent mind.

[Wade]: Hey, wanna come inside?

She considers your offer for a moment, reaches into her pocket and shakes her head.

[Wendy]: No, I'm okay. But thanks.

You give her a reassuring nod and turn to face your front door. You're really hoping she doesn't run off like last time.

[Wade]: I'll see you around?

[Wendy]: ...Yeah. See you around, bro. Say hi to the wife and kids for me!

She waves as she walks down the street and back towards Undertown's tunnel entrance. You don't doubt that you'll be seeing more of her from now on.

---------

You open your front door and allow your armor plates to slide off of your body and drop to the floor. You'll have to fix it later…

Suddenly, a gust of wind slaps you in the face as your blue, reptilian lover appears before you. She truly is a sight for sore eyes…

[K8-E]: Oh my goodness! What happened to you? Are you okay?!

>Kiss her. "Better now…"
>Sweep her off her feet and carry her to the bedroom.
>"Its a long story. I'll tell you in the morning. But first...I need sleep…"
>"Let's watch it on the news tomorrow morning."
