For those of you unfamiliar with Heavenly Jewel Change. It is a Chinese Wuxia web-novel.
You can read it here, it is completed: https://www.wuxiaworld.com/novel/heavenly-jewel-change

The Wiki (May lack information with certain characters but has all the mechanical information we need): https://heavenly-jewel-change.fandom.com/wiki/Heavenly_Jewel_Change_Wiki

Lots of things like place names and people will be OC. so I can run with interesting character ideas.

You play as Zou-Do-Shai, personal bodyguard to the 6th Princess of the Dershwa Clan, and a Teleship Lieutenant for the Dershwa State military. Last time Sun-Di, Fei and you went to the Dragon Lord's mountain to try and save YianEyue. You succeeded, but not without killing one of their higher ups. Almost as soon as you came back. Kreyzar launched his attack. You got a team ready and are now orbiting the Moon ready to land and begin your assault.

>58
Success!

Out of the corner of your eye you see something, a flash of red. Coming from the surface of the Moon.

"Watch out! Destruction Element!"

You and Shwei-Fa teleport out of the way, putting the ship out of range, you see the beam continue into space, probably forever. Like this you can't set up the barrier of Creation Element, tch, you need to land soon.

Failure! The curse strikes again!

You can see other sections of the Moon jump out as Kreyzar does his thing, and it is becoming decreasingly difficult to manoeuvre.

"Sir! We need to land now!"

Well. You teleport the ship down, and start getting people out, when you see something in the distance.

Kreyzar. A distorted red man, you see Shara start to quiver.

"Oh...what happened to you? Oh..."

"I-I W-will K-illis. All you!"

He is struggling to speak, like he has destroyed something fundamental in communicating.

The King, you, Demon Hammer and Her Highness form a diamond, and get to creating a barrier. You buff your Heavenly Energy. He undoubtedly has more than you, but you have a few distractions.

He summons his Element, the 4 of you mix yours and form a barrier. The other 17 people start attacking him, trying to make a dent, a wound. Namely Fei is the fastest here, and Shian can also dodge, but Jessica and people who can't dodge will be pretty vulnerable to being completely erased. You see a lot of people fly up.

You activate your Life Element, and start to maintain an area where things from Earth can breathe, using a battery in your suit, as you can't use any Elements whilst using the Creation Element.

Oof. Well, no, these versions are unrecoverable, after all, they are destroyed. However, you have the Creation Element, and who's going to know the difference?

>Sun-Di
>Zhang-Xi-Tze

Your barrier works, the 4 of you are safe. However. You see the energy snatch out to Zhang, erasing him. Sun-Di is a melee character, and tries to test a punch with the earth of the Moon, but due to the low gravity, fails, and you see Kreyzar use this opportunity to delete her.

"Ah! Ah! Help me! Help m-."

It makes you angry, You can feel an almost despondant King, who has seen this kind of thing 14 times over.

Success! Round 2 of 5 won!

"Bastard! I'll kill you! AHHHHHH!"

Fei has always been the soft kind, and you see her charge forward, her rapier sinking strait into his head.

"A-nnoying.....!"

You see Fei dart away from the Destruction Element, fear and rage forming the face of a monster. You see Shara buffing members of the team, which should give you an advantage. You see no blood from him, but, you can see him use a huge chunk of his Heavenly Energy to destroy the injury. Again and again, people get pot shots in, and you can sense that he only has 2 thirds of his tank left. You have 3 fifths, you could always buff again, risk a death, and overwhelm him, but...this could interrupt the Creation Element, risking the deaths of your other partners, dammit!"

Success!

Due to Shara's attacks, the party does a lot better. Shan-Bai starts throwing around mist to obscure Kreyzar's perception, followed my more defensive work from the Spatial users, who are making openings for ranged attacks. With Kreyzar on the back foot, he is getting hit more and more. You can see him burning more and more Heavenly Energy to maintain an advantage. Suddenly Shao-Bao rips the main body in two with a Spatial attack. Using this opportunity, Fei slices up one of the parts into small chunks.

Kreyzar must have about a quarter of his Heavenly Energy left. What happens then? You don't know, but you want to deal the final blow.

"Gurk!" You hear the King, fulfilling his purpose, dying.

"Boy, everyone. We probably have 4 more uses out of the Creation Element for stuff, is there anything people want...before I go?"

"I want a copy of your memory." Demon Hammer says.

"No thanks, good luck on the other side, I hear Time users are not treated well."

The 4 of you create 4 things, one, a USB, then you see Sun-Di and Zhang appear, unconscious beside you. Then, you create a whip which can pull the Moon together.

"Sun-Di, use this to bring the Moon back, we are done here."

"S-sure. What happened to Kreyzar?"

"Dead, we need to leave now."

You see the Moon reassemble, and all 17 of you funnel back into the ship, including the King.

"I, I want to die with my family. Bring me to Jiang, and the wives."

"Yes, your Majesty!"

Shwei-Fa and you coordinate the transfer, and teleport back just after the Moon was fixed.

You land back home, and let the 14 members of the Dershwa family grieve as Long Dershwa finally dies. You too, are now free. Free of this responsibility. You know that Fei will take over as monarch. You take a seat with Tsushiri and Demon Hammer, the latter of which is sitting in silence. Tsushiri takes the first words, her sister asleep next to her.

"So, what do you two plan to do now. I have everything I want, more or less. Plans?"

Demon Hammer responds.

"I have to go back to being Prime Minister, the place is probably on fire right about now..."

From morning 'till evening, Zou-Dou-Shai juggles his responsibilities with his family and an accelerated series of trainings and academic studies, especially geared toward medicine and biology. In his free time, he often stays with his fianceè, thinking about the next step of their relationship as the due date of the birth of their child draws close. "Well...."

The next few months are a period unlike you have seen. Peace namely, is the best word for it. Fei gave her blessing for Jiang and you to marry, and you have been spending time with each other, learning how you are going to be a family. You are about 3 months of turning 15, but you feel a lot older. You learnt from your Life Element, that Demon Hammer was right, there are two children, both girls, identical twins.

You accelerated your training, breaking through to the 7th Jewel, something unprecedented in this world. Jiang broke through to the 4th Jewel naturally, and Song broke through to the third Physical Jewel. You have not seen the guard in this time, as you have been studying hard, learning the ins and outs of medical physiology and biological concepts like homeostasis and diseases, and how they differ and are affected by Heavenly Energy. You have had a lot of time to practice surgery, and although your teaching talents haven't had the time to stretch their muscles, you are a learned man. Something which both Jiang and Jessica take a lot of pride in. You have seen a huge change in Jiang as her due date comes closer, and thanks to your training, yo can help at every stage. Her abdomen is expanding, her is becoming more irritable and happy. However, you have one other child to look after.

Fei no longer has the time to train YianEyue, so the duty falls to Sun-Di, you and Jessica. Who finally learns how to use her Elements, reaching the second pair of Jewels and becoming proficient with a two-stage Consolidated Equipment set, with both a Light Cannon and a combining shield set for her Earth Element.

You also take trips out, thanks to the battle on the Moon, the Earth was partly ripped to pieces, and that left a lot of room for beasts to roam. You start to take out the Evil Element ones. Due to your service the main war and now, you were promoted to Teleship Wing Commander, although you haven't written a Scroll since, which Shao-Bao doesn't especially like.

You also take the time to kill beasts coming close to Miller, as Demon Hammer was away for so long, he is stuck trying to retain his popularity, which had basically disappeared whilst away, even if he was killing the main threat to the Palace. He doesn't have the time to kill the strong ones, so you do it for him. You take out the single seat teleship, which has the capacity to take you to Mars.

During this, you awaken the Nature Seed, and call her (Write-in). She can talk, and attack using the Nature Element, You would describe her as lazy, and unmotivated.

You now sit in your room, organising a diet plan for Jiang so that the babies have all the correct things. It is a fun challenge, but it still tests you.

"Hey, Zou? How about...you know, you stop with the work and we go pay a visit somewhere?"

"Hmm? Where? Miller?"

"No. I mean, somewhere we've never been."

"Um, with the girls and-"

"Yeah, they can take it. Any suggestions?"

"Hey, mate. You wanna go on a little road trip?"

The gun can go up to normal 9th Jewel, my level, and can operate with Spatial, Fire, Water, Earth and Lightning. Thanks to your Element and the Evil Element, we can make some new dynamic filters for the cannons, fascinating stuff."

The both of you get in, and within a moments notice, you are orbiting Mars, the dry, red planet looking back at you.

"Now then, we need some special equipment for this. Mainly, some Nuclear Element suits powered by Lightning and Life. I need you to provide the Life, but the Nuclear can provide the energy for the Lightning. I need you to protect me and keep my vitals in check whilst I get samples, all good?"

"Yes. I have done a lot of medical practice."

"In a decade you'll be an actual doctor! Hang on, take this data set, it's my baseline."

You look at one of your rings, an Amethyst and metal one with an Opal Jewel. It shows Zhang's physical data. It all looks fine...apart from (Roll perception.)

The two of you walk out, thanks to the suit, you feel uncomfortable, but not too chilly. You activate your Life Element to keep things running. Zhang starts to take some samples. You look out on the desolate, empty horizon of Mars. There is nothing, nothing but red hills, and the stars. However, what interests you is not above ground. You felt chilly, but, your feet, the soles of your feet feel a lot warmer. This makes no sense, as the core to Mars will be hot, but not this hot.

"Sir? Do you feel warm?"

"No, no. Why, it's -60!"

"I feel warm."

"It's probably your suit, good thing that. Just change the settings."

"Sure."

You change a few things, and get back to work, looking for stone structures or anything really. Nope, nothing.

"Alright. I have 5 tubes, let's head back."

As you do so, you check on the data pad, and notice you have access to both his physical and mental files. His body is fine, but, his mind is another story.

"Dr Zhang persists to me that he should be dead, or that he is suffering from early-onset dementia. I find both evaluations to be inaccurate, we have done analysis on his brain structure and have found no problems except those explained by age. The doctor claims that in the battle on the Moon, he remembers a flash of red, then, he was awake and alive. He believes that he died that day, and that he is a copy. I have tried my best to reassure him he is not dead or a copy, but he is very stubborn, even if he has no proof. My recommendations are as followed: He is to work in teams of no fewer than three, one person to restrain him, and another to call for an emergency medical team, as the possibility of him attempting suicide is growing."

Shit.

You make it back to the ship, and you get to work preparing the analysing machines, and try to watch him prepare one of the tubes using the Spatial Element.

"Ah, well. It's a different ship, same design sure, but it is different. Things are not the same age, it will work differently. That's all there is."

"Really. It still has the same name. I mean. If I lose an arm, and then I grow it back...or I die, then come back, as I have done before. I am I not Zou still? I feel like me. Surely the ship is still their ship."

You have a bit to do now, well, until the report comes back from the Spatial department. Perhaps you should tell people you are leaving.

Shortly after the end of the war, you were considered responsible enough to lead and teach other people, yet, your teaching skills have not grown much, which is regrettable. You command 5 people who were entry or slightly above, all ranging from the 3rd-4th Jewel. Impressive for most people, but for the Palace? Borderline.

Our first member is a sniper by virtue of his birth, the second a brawler like Sun-Di, third a Fire Element user, fourth an excellent strategist using a foreign style of fighting and fifth a Nature user specialising in poison.

You tell them all that you will be taking some...paid leave, under request of your fiance.

"Sweet. Tell me later dipshit!" He ends the call. Because these calls are telepathic, you couldn't here what he was doing, but it sounded urgent. You call Song.

"Song? Are you there?"

"Huh? Ah yeah! What's up?"

"I won't be here for a while, going on holiday to the Dragon Lands, sorry about this-"

"Don't worry I know you have a kid on the way. How's the fiance?"

"A bit impatient, but well. How about you and your partner?"

"Well, with my second Jewel and her 4th Jewel set we're set to pass this year. We're just waiting for results...schools out!"

"Have fun."

"You too. Bye!"

He ends the call. Maybe it's time to go to bed. You had to get a bigger bed when Jiang started to enter the later stages of pregnancy, but at least she isn't cooped up like her mother was in hospital.

You wake up to the cries of Jiang.

"I want food. Get me some tea! What good are you for if all you do is sleep!"

It's going to be one of those days isn't it.

"Sure, sure. Hey, do we need to pack anything?"

"No? You have everything in that Spatial Ring right?"

"I guess."

You get out of bed, Lotus hasn't woken up yet, but that won't be a problem for you much longer.

>Paperwork and reading about your dream holiday.

You take a seat and start to have a good crack at the paperwork necessary for someone of your rank. You get paid 180 Gold a month, near to what you were paid as a bodyguard, but to access the same freedoms as other people, you need to abuse bureaucracy. First is the request for paid leave form, as due to the nature of your hours you are paid a salary. Then you have to look for a place to actually stay at.

"So, somewhere quiet eh? Jiang, know any good places?"

"Um! Well...there was this one place, it's between the border of the Jungle and the Ocean. A nice sandy beach, not like this places sand, but a normal, sunny place, sound good?"

"Definitely, any houses there?"

"Yup! One 2 bedroom house, for the low low price of 30 Gold a week!"

"30 Gold, a week. How long do we want to stay again, I need to finish this form up?" What kind of place costs 30 Gold a week? That's literally a sixth of your monthly salary.

"How about 2 weeks including travel. We can't use a teleship can we?"

"I don't think so, but, with the right coordinates and a picture, I can just swap us there. No need for transport."

"1 week then. 30 Gold. Sound good?"

"Yup, do they have stuff for pregnant women, or a nearby hospital?"

"Can't you look after me?"

"Not with my level of experience, illnesses during this time are complex."

"Tch, well, I'm sure I'll be fine. They say they have all the creature comforts right next door! I'm sure it will be good, it is hosted by Dragons after all."

"Right, we've decided?"

"Yep!"

You get an order through to the company, they are using normal communicator, and all the details are ready, you will be arriving in about three days time, carrying your own luggage, paying on arrival.

You get a knock on your door.

"Excuse me, Princess Jiang and Teleship Wing Commander Zou-D0-Shai, your esteemed presence is requested in the throne room, you will be joined by Princess Jessica and Princess Shian. Queen Fei will see you shortly."

You think back to the phone call you had, the only thing you discovered was that this place was made available when communicators came into popular use, so, quite recently, so many of the people there will be inexperienced, plus they are Dragons, serving another could be a bit problematic for them.

You reach the throne room. You see Fei sitting on the throne, without a crown, she didn't like wearing the thing, said it out too much stress on her brain...

"Hello, sisters and Wing Commander. I am talking to you today about a concerning issue with a report submitted by the Spatial department overnight, as a witness Mr Do-Shai will be present to fact check and confirm. Jessica, if you would please?"

"Right, well. The Vice-Commander and our witness collected some samples from the surface of Mars. They found conclusive evidence of life there." Shian, who is sitting down to the side, occasionally looking at Jiang's condition, takes notice of that.

"Are they monsters or just microbes?"

"Microbes, however, under current meteorological data from my department and the Air Force think tank suggest this is not possible."

"Um..as Queen I demand you provide a better explanation!"

"Mars is freezing, irradiated and deadly to carbon based life, that's the stuff you are made from."

"So, how are they alive?" You think this is your chance.

"The ground was warm, through our suits, the ground was warm, this supplies the heat for them to live and thrive."

"Trouble is, we have no fu-no idea why it is warm. That is our concern."

"OK! So, why do we care?"

"Because of there is heat reaching the surface, there should be a lot more live, diverse life. You know how the Nuclear tribe has beasts that can survive harsh radiation? Well, why doesn't that happen to Mars too? Shian, I think this is more your area."

"Rude, well. My current theory, looking at the analysis from the Darkness Element is that the centre of the planet is a hub for Demonic energy expressing itself as Fire."

"What?" Due to Fei's response Shian gets a little embarrassed.

"Uh..I mean, if it works like our planet, there should be an Element or two to represent it. I think that due to it's structure and...other qualities, that is the Evil Element!"

She's finally gone nuts hasn't she, damn emo chicks!

"Well...after that conclusion by Shian, Wing Commander, as someone who was there, what do you think the reason is and what should we do next? Jessica stay quiet please. I can practically hear your suggestions already."

"Hmm. I see no reason we couldn't try it, unless it damages the planet or something." Says Fei.

Jiang steps in.

"Eh? Really?! Where?" At least Fei is excited about that.

"Dragon Lands, in about three days. For a week."

The other three members of royalty in the room wince at that.

> Thousand Hands of Scylla, Rank 6 Water Skill, creates a number (60HE=1Hand) of "hands" to be freely manipulated. They can be used for binding and can change state at will.
That took a while to write! Still, I also wanna see what you or others can come up with! Glad to know you're fine!
>>
>>3892501
Let's simplify these a bit. Note there will be storing rolls, and some other bullshit for some of the Skills thanks to the death of Long Dershwa, soz mate. Let's see how I do.

Life:
>Physical Awakening, 8 Star Skill. For one timeslot, physical attributes are increased by 200 each, cost 200 HE.
>Heart of Gold, 7 Star Skill. Can shoot condensed Life Energy into a person and temporarily make their senses over reactive, can also be used to restart a stopped heart.
>300 Gold and 180 Gold respectively.

Lightning:
>Grand Lightning Body, 10 Star 10 Lightning Skill. Transforms the user's body into Lightning itself, augmenting Elemental Strength with the Lightning Element and giving all the properties of electricity, voltage and current will depend on the user's state of mind. Cost 5000 HE
>Magnaform, 9 Star Skill. Using the electromagnetic spectrum, you can control magnetic material to a degree, including ferrous metal, strength of user relies on the knowledge an d intelligence of the user. 150 HE per use, can affect one object at a time.

Light:
>Myriad Forms 6 Star Light Skill. Allows the user to warp the light perceived by targets in a range of 500 metres, giving the power to show illusions and a false reality on your enemies. Cost of 500 HE per use, illusions will dissipate after a few minutes unless reapplied for 100 HE per illusion.
>Laser Beam, 4 Star Skill. A classic of Princess Jessica Dershwa. Fires a straight beam of Light at the opponent, which hits the target almost instantaneously, with control and knowledge the beam can be made monochromatic for more precision, the true power of the Skill is the skill of the user. Costs variable HE, damage output depends on the rank of Science skill, which is currently at Basic, so a multiplier of 1.1, paste has been changed to reflect this as I didn't think about it before.
>Microwave, 7 Star Skill. Release a wave of radiation to try and burn your enemies from the inside out! 400 HE per use.

Water:
>Thousand Hands of Scylla, 6 Star Skill. Creates a number of "hands" to be freely manipulated. They can be used for binding, and can change states to Ice and back, however, this change will be applied to all hands in play. Costs 80 HE per hand.
>Cry of Atlantis, 6 Star Skill. A call that will temporarily call Water Element monsters to your aid, but after a few minutes you will lose control of them and have to either fight them off or use the Skill again, monsters called are directly linked to the number of Elemental Jewels you have. 300 HE.

You have overwhelmed it with your Heavenly Energy Control and equal rank. You see the emblem of a gold heart form on the Life section of the Jewel, and you move on. You want some Light Element Skills; you know little about the physics of light, so this could be interesting. You end up in a chamber made of opaque material, completely black, and you were advised...forced to wear a blindfold to make things easier somehow, so you never see its form, in this way, you end up taking its skill, you see the image of a dodecahedron outlined in black, you can't tell what the skill does apart from the vague description out the front. Then you hit success two more times with the other 2 Light Skills you were interested in, Laser Beam was interesting, because you had to meet the Railgun Mouse again. He was asleep, so you took his Skill without any problems. Lastly, the final Skill you managed to get was Microwave, apparently it could burn people with, what, electromagnetic waves? Is there collateral damage? Ah whatever, the next few Skill storings are failures, so you end up close to 2000 Gold out of pocket.

You decide to train your Laser Beam Skill, it may be weak now, but look how Jessica uses it constantly, it can't be that bad can it? She even uses it in her Consolidated Equipment!

You feel so cold.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Fulfi brat!"

You feel your body get picked up by one of the ogres, and start to get crushed.

"Ah? Eh? Hee's a biiit squigeer than the rest?" Their accents are partially gone too. Dear god what are they planning next?

"Just toss him on the fire. He probably wants a nice bit of heat HAHAHA!"

You feel gravity pull on you, the light from the fire burning your eyes as you get closer...then, your entire body. You feel the club come off you, but in exchange. You feel nothing but pain, pain of burning. What little clothes you had when you came here are gone, and you can feel your flesh wither and burn away. You look around and see the "fuel" for this fire. Human bones. You hear murmuring and cries of pain to join your own now.

At least you feel...not cold. Wait! If you don't escape you'll end up like the rest of them! You see the 2 ogres sit back around the fire, warming their hands. You hear something from one of the skeletons. You try and bare the flames to try and listen before your ears burn off.

"H-HEEELP MEE!!! HEEELP ME!" Again and again.

You let a huge storm of droplets fall on the land, crushing the orges, bones, and fire. You now stand on the ice sheet you have just made. Snow falling. The fire, and everything that was in it, has gone.

It is now both cold, and pitch black, however, in the middle of the ice sheet, you see a ring of red stones, with inscriptions you can't read on them. If you had fuel, you could start another fire...

You try to see what you have, what you can access. You can sense Bixie and Lotus, both hiding away. You try and tug at Bixie, but it isn't working. Lotus responds though. You let her be for the time being.

You see nothing after the fire, no light, no heat on your face. Bodies still sit in the stone, frozen in time....maybe...maybe you could use them as fuel?

Fine, let's try and make your own fire. You launch out Lightning from your fingers, to try and make a new fire. It doesn't work, anything you throw at the pit just zaps away. Dammit! You can momentarily show the way with your lightning, but the cold makes it slowly disappear, and you are running out of Heavenly Energy.

"What the fuck? Why can you talk?"

"You think it matters? I think its to make the others madder, they can hear me. I know it!"

You sit down behind him, relived to see anyone else here.

They are far behind you now, and you can see something in the distance using the fires. A staircase. Some people try to walk up it, but very quickly slow down and freeze up, so they retreat to the closest fire, and their place has been stolen, so they sink into the stone, never to be seen again.

You see rather large patch of green grass below you, blue skies above you, and a beautiful shining sun. You feel healthy and warm, everything is right with the world. You also see a few houses, of which a few look quite nice, quaint, but nice. However, you also see other people, and wherever they go, a permanent splotch of dead land follows them. In houses owned and lived in by other people the wood is half...eaten?

You could go move into a house, or just walk about and look for something. You can see a massive decrepit tower in the distance, and it is the only one like it for miles. You also feel that you are not hungry...or sleepy. When was the last time you slept anyway?

They push you away. No real answers from them. You walk away. Some people are so sensitive. You are now far enough away from the Tower that you can see something interesting. The path you walked on was filled with green grass and flowers, but now? Other people tread on it, and the ground has withered up and died. You can also feel something new. "Is there any information on Acolytes in general?"

"Eh, I mean, people who pledge their loyalty to him become Beginner Wizards, or something. It's a massive ponzi scheme. They have to stoke his ego and then they get more powers, sometimes they come out and look for people, talking about 'money' and 'clean water', I already have those! Anyway just don't go with them apparently you'll just get shoved into some mine underneath the tower. I just want to live out my happy luxurious life, y'know? With that said. Fuck off."

Dont worry, you're not the only one. The setting for this circle is similar to that of another chinese web novel called "Warlock of the Magus World" which basically more cultivation but with western arcane arts as the theme instead of the eastern ones. I think that was the first one, but it was pretty good, and many clones or variation on the theme have spawned since (I really recommend this one and "City of Sin").
>>

Alright. I'll take a look. I have run out of stuff to read, as my fav webnovels mainly come from Korea, and they come out slowly, very slowly.

>80
You can see dozens of people inside, working their way around the broken halls and stairways, they all share one thing in common. They have their Jewels, and one other thing, they have a mark on their hands. Unique to themselves. It seems this is a great deal of importance to them, as some wear specialised gloves to show them off. You can see they produce an ability for the user. You can't see anything more, however, you can tell that there are at least 4 ranks of Acolyte, each with larger and better sigils.

You see something at the entrance, it is opening, and some very badly dressed, dirty people in robes walk out. One of them uses his Jewels to make a raised platform, which begins moving.

"HIRING NOW! COME JOIN US AT THE TOWER MINES FOR A FREE JOB, COMES WITH FOOD, WATER AND A SOFT BED, WHICH I'M SURE ALL OF YOU WANT DESPERATELY.

What are you reading? The only korean novel I'm reading now is Overgeared, even if once I used to read LMS and Ark pretty often.
>>
>>3896250
None, they all ended. I was reading The Novel's Extra, that would be the most recent one. It's a masterpiece of a first half leading to something great, then the author doesn't know what to do with it after he introduces too much and we end up with an unsatisfying ending, the epilogue is running now. I tried Overgeared but became bored with it, same with LMS, it just didn't click with me for some reason. I have weird taste, like, my fave JP novel was at one point the Phone isekai, then it became the one about being Jobless...then some others. I haven't had the opportunity to read much.

You have a good look for something else, the mines sound terrible, however, all there is are houses, dead grass and dirty people. You must be the only clean one here!

You eventually stop at a house, a clean one when you get closer and have a good look at it. However, you are interrupted when a potential neighbour calls out to you.

Right, thinking about it, I'm also following Omniscient Reader. That one is really weird, but pretty cool. On the other hand, the best Chinese web novel around is probably Lord of Mysteries (which was gonna be the setting for that one quest I'll never do) and for those written in the West, it would probably be The Mech Touch.
>>
>>3896273
Keep going, I'll just put these all in a list, I'll have time to read them eventually. Here's a tip for a quest: Use the same world and powers if you want, just try and make your ideas as original as possible otherwise people become bored. I don't like reading One Piece, but I like the One Piece quest on here. I don't think you would like it, but it's like that. Make something you would read and think: Hey, that was cool, never seen this world done that way before. How about for a new year's resolution you start that quest under a different name and just roll with it.

>>3896270
"Hey! Does anybody live here?"

No response. Guess they don't.

"I said stop that! Whatever you people touch, what ever you things are. You just ruin it! Oh for god's sake look what you've done to the house!"

You don't see any noticeable change.

"Fine! I'll live here in my mansion. You live there and ruin it like the filth you are!"

Whatever. You just walk inside, the furniture is nice. There's all the things you would need to live comfortably and there's no sign other people have lived here. Huh. At least you have a place to rest at now.

Yup, that was the idea. The setting is a pretty weird industrial revolution version of England with clear-cut supernatural agents divided by faction and 22 sets of superpowers dictated by the Major Arcana. Stuff like that is built for fan-fiction.

You go to sleep in a warm, comfortable bed. However, when you wake up. You are in chains, in a cage. On the back of a cart.

"Heeeeelloo there! All we need you to do is shut up and stay there!"

"Now, now. There's no use in struggling. Fine. I'll just knock you out."

You feel one of the chains slip down your throat, slowly suffocating you until you fall unconscious.

You wake up underground, with a few other people. You still have chains around you, you are standing on some grey stone. There is a podium above you with someone, someone very dirty on it.

"Rejoice! You have been given a chance to rise to glory! Despite your pitiful selves wallowing in dirt, we shall make you better! You will join the rest, and dig down! Your bones will crack, your skin will peel off! For anyone who does well enough? Well, you can become a Beginner and gain a mark! The mark of the Grand Acolyte! Rejoice!"

You are pulled away by something you can't see, until you get to a patch of stone, with minerals and metals in it. You are given a pickaxe.

"Now go! Before I whip you down!"

You are whipped on the back. Guess this is your life now. You look around and see hundreds of people, just mining, as far as the eye can see.

Hell consists of 10 layers, of which you are stuck in 9 total. You are on the area representing Pride, however there are 6 others for the other deadly sins, there's one for the betrayers and one which you can call the barracks of hell, you will have to see them all. You are a little closer to escaping this layer. It is inspired partially through Dantes Inferno, but with my own ideas on how to punish the people representing those sins. The tenth layer is literally Satan's pad.

You dig for literally a minute, and you hit something. You do some more work, and you end up finding a charm, a Jade Charm.

"Huh? What's that you found there?"

"Nothing, just some hard stone."

*Whip!* "Then get back to work!"

You keep digging, and very slowly, put the charm on without anyone noticing. You can feel a pull from it. You can gain some power from this, but...but how?

You can see some letters in front of your eyes.

"You who thinks of themselves as better than the Law, with this, you can relish in some of your own power for one chance in your lowly existence. In other words, the illusion present here was thinking that other people literally make the world worse. Your Skill is unaffected as are other people's Skills.

>31, few dice!

You manage to get your Skill to stage 4, and you are called an Acolyte by the system. Your ability to fly now slightly surpasses the normal range of flight used by Wind.

You now stand, three days later, a much more learned man. You continue to dig down, until you reach a hole, and start to fall. As you fall, you see a similar message to the one you saw the first time, expect relating to Pride.

You wake up suddenly in bed. You recognise this as a middle class hotel room. There is one light, coloured a dim red on the roof, it is nighttime, and you can hear a bustling city street just outside your window, which is open. Your door is closed, but doesn't appear to be locked.

You see men going in sure, but the places are all staffed by normal women, you can't sense any monster in them. You can sense some monsters, but they're underground and in other places. What's more confusing is that the signs for the exit are everywhere! There is a clear path out of here, but people ignore it and just keep going along their nightly business. Eating, making stuff, and other things. An entire city built for sex. How awful. You can see Jewels and feel the Heavenly Energy. The only way to get out of this place is to deny your sin and move on, but no-one does.

You hear a knock at the door.

"New customer! We're here for a special service, please take some time to get ready, we can wait."

You can hear about 3 more women and something which sounds suspiciously like a man outside the door. You need to get out of here!

You can tell right away that this place is ripe with life, and that said life must have been bred to be hunted. It's slow, predictable and lazy. In other words. Hell is setting you up to catch stuff. You end up with almost enough for a normal sized portion for 12 people, with berries and vegetables to boot, but you feel quite hungry, and have to eat some of the stock on the way home.

You make it back. The other's aren't really pleased at the amount of food you bring back, but they say they'll live. Your Icy Jade making the work easy.

You watch them cook it all, making a meal in minutes as one Fire user has a special Skill which can cook any meat and other foods to perfection. They dedicated an entire Jewel to food, what a waste!

It got boring when there wasn't anybody else in my weight class and height (I've been relatively tall since I was a kid) beside the instructor, so you end up either sidelined or go against someone who has to hold back and slow down for you. I got a blue belt and I left.
>>
>>3900916
Ah. I suppose I'm more lucky in that regard, I'm short so most people are taller than me so I can always fight someone a similar way. Now at Black and Brown belt, i.e the one directly before Black. Not sure what blue would be in my association, what number belt would that be? I haven't had the chance to fight the instructor and never will, he's 70 and doesn't teach the class anymore.

Success!

You grab yourself some food, and eat normally. You haven't enjoyed something like this in a while, so you savour every bite. You feel like the day is over, so you go back to bed.

As you sleep, you have a dream. It shows a massive grey building of steel, where you see animals and other things walk out into the forest.

You wake up without issue, well, you notice that someone's been inside your room whilst you are asleep. Not fun.

You sit down at the table, which is luckily stocked. Wait, how is it stocked? You look around and see a fat blob of a woman absolutely drenched in sweat. You don't sense any Heavenly Energy in her. They must have forced her to hunt for food. Oh well, if she's in hell then there is no point in helping her.

Pints, Feet, Inches and Miles are the only ones still in use, and that's mainly for one specific purpose.
