In the aftermath of The Ralphie Armada's invasion, the vermin world's ecosystems are left as ruined as it's civilization; only a few hardiest creatures surviving the carnage. Yet, it is not yet the end of the world; the survivors shall perservere, and in time, flourish and diversify into an entirely new biome...

And here are the four creatures that YOU will shape into the inheritors of the planet.

The rules of the game are as follows:
1. Find a creature that is still alive
3. Paste the creature in a pixel editor program like MSPaint
4. Make a noticeable mutation for them that makes sense and is not too major
5. Add necessary format either in description or within its picture, please follow format shown below this post for this
5. Post evo here, with a description of what changed

Now, for do's/don'ts
DO post no matter how shitty your art is
DO try to use the pencil tool instead of any sophisticated brushes, as it will make it easier to edit linework and recolour
DON'T mutate the same creature over twice in a row
DON'T overdo mutations. A creature doesn't suddenly grow legs, intellect and fire-breathing.
DON’T forget to link back to creature you have evolved when posting

And here's a handy diagram representing the place where our creatures will live; as you can see, "My Island" is not much of a tropical paradise right now; in fact, since pretty much every type of plant life has been scorched off it's surface a few hours ago, it's more or less the opposite of a tropical paradise. Luckily, the ecosystem can still sustain itself purely off of rocks, so all is well.

And with that, introductions end, and evolution begins.

World event: The movements of tectonic plates cause mountains to form near the southern coast. In addition to radically altering the terrain, the tectonic disturbances have also unearthed deposits of a rare mineral - Slimmonia. While a common component in the bodies of slime-like vermin, this tough yet malleable organic material is seldom found in natural conditions. In pre-apocalyptic society, slimmonia was used in myriads of ways, ranging from textiles and decorations to bulletproof vests and artificial muscles, and it is no doubt that it will find use in a postapocalyptic one as well, whether forged into tools and items or incorporated into the bodies of creatures.
However, gathering this substance will be no easy task - the mountain's cliffs are steep and it's conditions are harsh, with cold temperatures and strong winds opposing anyone attempting to climb it.

slaphie's ralph radiation has mutated, and now it creates grass-like plant life called Grös around it when it stays in an area for too long, predators may confuse it for acid pools or something, the Grös is quite resistant and feeds off from atmospheric radiation when the gralphie eventually leaves. They also grow Grös on their bodies and updated their bone club for a bone axe

My rocks in regions with lots of my merchants have developed the ability to unleash a cloud of gas when they get near, the gas cloud is easily inhaled by their gigantic noses and makes their brains explode.

Some mymerchants have mutated buoyancy sacs to wait out the dense gas clouds and pounce on the slower rock species. The sacs aren't too great for their brain development, though...

The Roggola rule the oceans, growing to incredibly large sizes before accidentally beaching themselves and dying

A offshoot of the Devilman Alphie has grown to larger and smarter creatures. Each individual seems to be drawn to a different type of shiny object, some going so far as to attempt to horde gold toads

It turns out that Gros possesses a peculiar quality not seen in anything else on My Island: it's flammable.
After an unlikely series of incredibly contrived events, My Society has finally developed something that will give them an edge over the Ralphies: fire.

With the "discovery" of fire, My society also discovered an interesting property of the bones of deceased creatures, they explode when exposed to fire, with the help of my vermin priests that are able to bless the bones after they are turned into powder, they are able to create a very strong propellant called Coompowder, with the use of stone guns that shoot projetiles made from fragments of wumpus horns they are able to keep wumpuses away or even hunt them, while being able to easily take down flying ralphies and even Alpies, but the weapons prove ineffective against my rock variants and are only able to shoot once before needing to be reloaded, a process that takes quite a bit of time. The My mountain society is using this discovery to take mountain land from monze ralphs and to just fuck with them in ranged mountain ambushes. (Prolonged use of these very powerful guns in mountain areas may cause landslides)

The Fralpies are a subspecies of Mountain Alpie that has experienced neoteny, keeping a child-like form for their whole life. They have taken to chewing on the slimmonia deposits, turning the malleable material into a sort of rope that they use for climbing.
While their appearance may seem non-threatening, they are still dangerous, being as tall as the average manlet and thus towering over a normal My Vermin and being able to overpower it with ease.

the horned Rog suck in water through its mouth and out of its face holes("nostrils") in a motion that can be mistaken for breathing and basic eyes that only help them avoid beaching themselves but it still happens.
if it beaches it starts panicking and snapping at anything getting to close to it, sometimes they beach them shallow enough they can benefit from the water and survive for generations and reproduce before a wave manages to dislodge them or being lucky while being born

It's time to address the elephant in the room: The Elephant Stone. With nothing feeding on the Giant Wocks, they have eventually begun to overpopulate, and thus evolution selected for more compact Wocks that could fit in the increasingly narrow spaces left by their brethren. Eventually, they have taken this drive for compactness to a whole new level: the vertical level. The landscape is now dotted with "skyscrapers" of Elephant Stones, providing shelter and a strange new environment to live in for many.

With the life of My Island persevering against all odds and thriving in their barren environment, some creatures even redeveloping civilization, one man is Stranded on the beach, his memories and possessions gone, yet his will to live undisrupted to the point of defying Death. One could even say he was... Death Stranded.
Will this man rediscover his past?
Will he survive the dangers of the new world?
Find out... possibly... in the next issue of the Vermin Evolution Game!

The ralphs have developed a new metal through the combination of monze, slimmonia, and gros: Jiron.
Jiron is flame resistant, durable, and can be extremely sharp.
Creation of a ranged weapon, the arbalest.
Creation of caltrops, capable of defending land and settling large communities.
Taming of the Mach Wumpus, a speedy mount weaponized.
A flag for their people. Star representing their constant push towards superiority, the mountains their home, and the radiated shores of the planet.
