Last time you gave Matilda a great massage (not your words but hers), had a nice lunch with all of your classmates and decided to infiltrate the cult’s second secret base: Pleasure-Ville! Mission not yet completed. What does the evening of the 13th of June have in store for you? We’ll soon find out.

Currently, you went invisible and followed a middle-aged woman inside this untrustworthy spa facility to be a witness to her session, you came here for intel primarily – so seeing their methods is something you want your eye on.

After some brainwashing (?) tomfoolery with a strange idol as the main attraction in a video, she went unconscious from the “pleasure”. Before one of the workers here were about to do something to her, a member of the most likely defunct Assembly strikes and appears to be saving this woman from whatever she got herself into. B-WORM and his fish-like entity are here to the rescue.

As of now, the heroic lad is wondering what to do next as he looks around the spa room for an exit, his face exhibits some sort of regret for acting so hastily and brash – then he formulates an escape plan. B-WORM struggles at first but is able to carry the middle-aged woman and looks at the exit from where everyone here came from. You remain camouflaged from your spot, a little above the danger.

What do you do?

>Make some noise to scare B-WORM into acting quicker. You don’t need him here.
>Knock out B-WORM for some reason. Him being here can not be good after all.
>Just keep watching.
>“Hey, need some help?” Try to start a conversation. You have your new distorted voice for this type of occasion!

Votes:

Votes are counted until 25 minutes have passed. This rule doesn't apply to the last reply of the day.
Votes that require a dice roll are counted until 15 minutes have passed, so we can speed up the process. Rolls are counted until 10 minutes have passed, so be prepared!

(NEW) Dice Mechanic:

We always roll 1d100s!
Since most people weren’t happy with the system of averaging top four rolls, we’re using best of 2/3/4 depending on the attribute a prompt requires. If Johnny is a genius and it’s a Knowledge based roll, he gets more rolls (Max. 7)! If he sucks, he gets less dice (Min. 2)!

When asked for rolls, I will specify how many you’re going to get. Rolling begins after it’s asked.

Rolling 100 is a critical and ignores all other rolls! In the same vein, rolling 1 means a critical failure (only for Very Hard rolls and above).

The difficulty of the roll is tied with the effectiveness of the action. In other words, the harder the option the better the result!

Don’t forget that at the end of the day, this is a story-driven quest! What the prompts are describing is more important than the difficulty of the rolls, for results in a fight.

Again, rolls are only counted when they are posted within ten minutes of being asked, so watch out!

You decided to spark a conversation with B-WORM, as he doesn’t seem to be a bad fellah.

“Hey, need some help?” Your distorted voice doesn’t sound all that friendly.

B-WORM freezes for a second, eyes wide open. Immediately after, he starts rotating rapidly looking for you! He has a hand on one piece of furniture and doesn’t let it go, something weird that caught your attention.

“Who’s there?” B-WORM’s voice is pretty dry, comes out like a loud whisper. Well, he should talk like this! You almost forgot the context here!
“Err… Someone who can help you out of this pickle...” You don’t know if you should sound either mysterious or direct.

B-WORM doesn’t look like he’s calming down, he slowly is walking backwards towards the door, his eyes looking at your general direction. Distorted voices from nameless people doesn’t exactly give confidence.

“Wait, I’m serious. I can help…” Fuck, you’re starting to sound lame.
“We have roughly a minute, what’s your deal…?” By the looks of it B-WORM feels trapped, and with the lady on his back he’s willing to negotiate to come out of this situation. Better not fuck this up.

What do you do?

>“I’m not your enemy. I’m part of the Nameless, I’m here gathering information on the cult.” Make yourself visible and have your arms raised. You mean no harm!
>“That doesn’t matter now. Open the door and leave this place, I have your back.” You don’t need to engage him more than you are currently.
>Bad idea! Stay silent! Pretend nothing happened! He doesn’t look like he can be easily convinced.

“I’m not your enemy, I’m part of the Nameless, I’m here gathering information on the cult.” You make yourself visible and have both arms raised. Since the room was dimly lit it looked like you just got out of where you were hiding instead of appearing magically. “If I planned to hurt either you or that woman I would’ve done it already. I want to help.”
“The Nameless? What's that?” B-WORM is confused, he tries not to show it though. It’s almost like he didn’t acknowledge everything you said.
“I don’t think it matters now.” But it will matter later!

“Took me hours to sneak inside… but you’re right, let’s get out of here.” B-WORM turns his back to you, let’s go of the furniture he was holding and gets closer to the exit to left, the one you all used before. He tries to peek outside, but he has his hands full. He turns to you, all serious. “Any ideas? You seem pretty good. I took out the security cameras inside this room, so we have plenty of time to discuss.” He kept that one to himself, huh? He lied about there being just a minute to talk…

Any ideas?

>Maybe you can turn the three of you invisible and escape unscathed. You never done that before with this many people, it can only be rough on your body…

“Sneak out just like you sneaked inside. Why complicate things? I’ll cover you just in case.” You assert.
“I don’t think that’s possible, I’m carrying a lot of dead weight at the moment.” B-WORM obviously struggles to lift the woman towards you to drive his point. “Think… Think… Think… I can’t leave her here.” B-WORM looks around for ideas. He stares at the unconscious worker for a couple seconds. “I got an idea. Carry her for a second.”

He hands you the middle-aged woman. Despite not being the most chivalrous thought you can have, you believe this is the heaviest woman you've ever carried. She still looks somewhat familiar to you but why...?

After being entranced by her for a couple of seconds, you move your gaze to see B-WORM dressed as the spa worker you just knocked out. The clothes don’t fit him very well, and you don’t know where he got a cap. Now the plain looking worker is in her undies, she’s as plain as Amelia…

“I’m… ready…” B-WORM extends his arms to grab the woman in your arms, but first he puts his clothes on her. He’s out of breath thanks to his new outfit.
“You sure you don’t want to think this through?” You aren’t sure if this is going to work. How can he fool anyone like that? You hand the woman anyhow.
“Y-Yeah...” B-WORM is ready.
“Trust me, I got your back.” You’ll turn invisible once he gets out. B-WORM nods one last time before opening the door and pretending nothing is wrong as he walks towards the main exit to the lobby.

You turn invisible and walk behind both of them. You had to whisper to B-WORM once to remind him you’re with him, he tried to look around for you – but had no luck. You can tell he really wants to know your deal as he even tried to walk slower at random points to make you slip up and determine your ability.

With luck on your side, the place was rather deserted and no big obstacles were in the way. But now the pressure comes back once you reached the lobby. The receptionist is there and looks wary of B-WORM.

“Identify yourself.” The receptionist lost all friendliness.
“…” B-WORM continues walking like she never directed a word at him… His fish is floating menacingly around the cultist. Any false move and she’s going to get smacked.

At this point, once they find out what happened here, security will come and sneaking in here will be more difficult than ever. Or perhaps it will bring some of the targets you are looking for. But that reminds you, what are you looking for exactly? Would B-WORM have the information you need?

What do you do with the receptionist?

>Tell B-WORM to run for it. You don’t want to hurt people unnecessarily.
>Tell B-WORM to fish smack that bitch.
>Get closer to the receptionist yourself and knock her out.
>Write In.

What’s the plan after this?

>Go with B-WORM and have a chat with him. He might have the information you need.

While the receptionist is distracted with the hesitant B-WORM, you silently sneak behind her and knock her out with one swift strike! You’re getting good at this, one might say too good… N-Not at beating up women, just knocking them out. That doesn’t sound right either. You desist to continue this line of thought.

“Phew…” B-WORM looks a little relieved after that, he stepped out of the spa with the woman in his arms. You follow him and make yourself visible when nobody (including B-WORM) was looking at you. This whole experience was quite tiring in its itself, you two go towards a nearby alleyway before speaking up. B-WORM puts his clothes back on, over the disguise.

“I need to talk to you, you might have the information I need.” You propose to B-WORM.
“This is not the time or place to talk about that.” B-WORM responds quickly. “If someone sees us they’ll get the wrong idea.”
“You’re completely right…” You scratch the back of your head.

“I expect you to answer my questions as well, Nameless.”
“Wait no, I’m not Nameless, Nameless is the name of the gang you see…”
“Then what should I call you? You can call me B-WORM.”
“Right…” You already knew that. “Ehm… I’m… Err…” You can’t just tell him your name, right?

Suddenly, the middle-aged woman starts waking up! This gives you some time to think.

“Where am I…?” She looks mildly confused, but happy to be in B-WORM’s arms for some reason.
“That place is dangerous, you were almost kidnapped in there – call the police and tell them what happened.” B-WORM informs the woman without hesitation. How can he keep his composure while looking like that?
“Excuse me…? Are you even sure of that? Those are some hefty claims.” She’s confused. “I was about to get my spa session, I think…? What was so dangerous about it?” She finally frees herself from B-WORM’s arms and stands up. “And what’s up with your outfits? Is this some kind of party…? Nice hair, and you have a pretty cool mask.” She points out.

“Thanks.” You instinctively respond. Scarlet would be proud to hear that.
“You sound kind of funny.” She giggles. “I bet you would look much better without it…”
“Answering one of your queries, your spa sessions now include brainwashing as well.” B-WORM barely explains, a little bit more details would be great. “So yes, I’m sure it was dangerous, madam.”
“That’s terrible! And don’t call me madam, I’m Holly!” She tenderly smiles. Did she just believe you like that? “You’re another very nice young man.” She starts rubbing B-WORM’s arm. “But who exactly are you two?”

“It’s complicated.” You can decide what exactly to tell her and whatnot. Sheesh, you feel amateurish…
“Oh, here…” The woman hands you both some coupons, they are for Pleasure-Ville. “These coupons were supposed to make my session longer and completely cost-free! Since that place is too dangerous, I don’t have any use for them.”
“Thank you. This is valuable information.” B-WORM takes one. You take one out of respect.

Ehm… This conversation is going nowhere.

What do you do with the woman?

>Take her to a nearby Police Station.
>Take her to a nearby Subway Station and tell her to go home.

“I know a Café nearby where we can continue our chat. I need to ask you a couple of questions as well, Holly.” You turn off your voice modifier because the mask is already suspicious enough as is.

Next, you take your phone out and text Scarlet about what’s happening, asking her to be nearby but to not expose herself yet. She agrees and tells you the Cocombo Café has two floors, she’ll be in the second one. That little place had another floor? You didn’t notice the first time…

Still wary of you, B-WORM thinks about your proposal without giving you a definitive answer just yet.

“I haven’t been invited for coffee in years!” Holly puts one of her hands over her cheek as she smiles. One second later, she starts looking around for something.
“Your purse.” B-WORM brings it out. Where did he keep that?
“Oh! Thank you! I was wondering where I left it!” Holly’s face spells relief now. “I’m ready!”
“Let’s go.” B-WORM seals the deal and both of them follow you to this little café.

Along the way, you took your mask off because you were starting to really feel awkward with it on. Holly compliments your looks, while B-WORM starts to feel more comfortable – in a way, you gain a little bit of his trust by showing your face.

Because it was your proposal, you felt the need to pay for the expenses here – which is going to include some donuts Holly wanted. She’s so relaxed with you and that’s not taking into account what she just went through…

“Holly, are you normally this compliant with masked strangers?” You felt the need to ask.
“You two saved me back there and bought me dessert, why should I be distrustful? Either way, I have like a 6th sense and I immediately recognize people with bad intentions. Like the receptionist from earlier, and I don’t think either of you have any ill will.” Holly is a very easy going woman.

“Were you given anything before your spa treatment?” B-WORM has his own set of questions.
“I don’t quite follow…” Holly shakes her head in confusion.
“Like a piece of paper.” B-WORM makes a triangular shape with his hands.
“I’m sorry, I don’t think so.”

“So you told us something about your son, what’s his deal here?” You remember it being mentioned a few times.
“I don’t know what to tell you, I think my son has a part-time job in a sister company of this spa, and he gave me these coupons as a birthday present. I don’t know what his job is, or what the company does or anything ‘cause him and me... Uhm… Teenagers are like that, you know? I’m just happy for him.” Holly sounds a little ashamed of how careless she’s being. Honestly, the son should be more ashamed for giving a lousy present.

“What’s your son’s name?” B-WORM goes for the jugular of the question.
“I-I’m sorry, is my son in trouble?” Holly is starting to look uncomfortable.
“Nothing I’m aware of. Only people working on that spa have shown criminal behavior.”
“I’m glad to hear that.” Holly looks like some weight has been lifted off her shoulders. “Are you two undercover cops? You both sound like one!” Holly smiles.
“Ehm, uhm… It’s complicated...” B-WORM took a page from your book of bad responses.
“You two must be really smart, dealing with this complicated stuff and whatnot!” This would be a sarcastic observation coming from anyone else, but Holly sounds genuine. “My son’s name is Howie, he’s in a rebellious phase but… I don’t think he’s kidnapping people. He’s a good boy, I swear.” Holly looks hurt.

Wait.

You think you’ve heard that name before.

No, wait, you’re confusing him with Twist. All is good.

“Is your son’s name Howie Dewitt?” You inquiry! If you’re correct, she’s the reason you lost 5000 Gor$ and also means she’s a…

B-WORM looks bemused and almost in shock with your question. Holly is surprised as well but isn’t taking it as badly as B-WORM.

“Y-Yes, that’s my little boy’s name. How’d you know? I don’t think I told you my last name, did I? I’m so careless sometimes.” Holly confirms it. Oh god, you don’t know what to make of this.
“You know him…?” B-WORM immediately turns to you. “Hold on a second…” B-WORM is putting everything together. “Forgive me. Please continue talking.”

“This is incredibly concerning, Mr. Worm. You two are hidin’ something from me. W-What exactly is going on? I-Is my kid really in trouble? He’s not the type who would do such a thing… That’s impossible. You have to believe me!” Holly looks in angst.
“Please, Ms. Holly. You truly have nothing to be afraid of, unless you want to share something you haven’t told us.” B-WORM wants to know more.

“All I know is he’s been acting strange lately, I swear! Please, if you find out something, let me know first. I-I’ll make sure he’ll pay his dues, just don’t go to the police first... I’ll do anything!” Holly is begging you two not to do this.
“This is highly suspicious behavior, Ms. Holly.” B-WORM is starting to distrust Holly with good reason. “But do not fear, I already told you, you have nothing to fear.”

“I don’t think that’s enough…” Holly won’t calm down easily.
“He’s one of the names on one of the lists of workers I have from that company. Which won’t lead to anything if I’m honest since he’s almost at the bottom of the barrel.” You technically tell her the truth.

“Are you vigilantes, N.U. Police or actual police…?” Holly is bewildered. “Wait, you’re undercover, right? Is that the reason you can’t tell me?”
“We can’t even disclose that information.” B-WORM winks at her.
“Ooh… I understand now, you two are really smart after all!” Holly starts relaxing.

“Thank you for your cooperation. Before you leave, you wouldn’t mind if we keep in contact, right?” You think it’s time you stop harassing her...
“Please contact me immediately if you find anything about my son! I will do anything to assist you!” Holly pulls out her phone. “Uhm… What is your name again?” Holly stares at you for an answer.

“I’m Phil Noon.” You reveal to both Holly and B-WORM. Philonune is amused by your fake name.
“Let me type this up…” Holly takes her sweet time with this.
“Do not tell Howie or anybody else about this, okay? For everybody’s safety.”
“Y-Yes, my lips are completely sealed.” Holly promises.

After completing the contact exchange, Holly parts ways with you and left the Café Cocombo in a taxi ride. While the trust she has for you seems absurdly high, her concern for this situation triumphs it by a mile – you have no idea if she’s going to keep her mouth shut.

Now you’re left alone with the man of the hour, let the real information exchange start! To your surprise, it’s B-WORM who takes the lead in this conversation.

“Phil Noon, huh? Has a nice ring to it.” If he wasn’t so serious, you would think he’s joking.
“Thank you.” You respond without overthinking it.
“I like this guy.” Philonune finds it humorous.

“But something makes me believe your real name is Johnny Ando.” B-WORM takes a sip of his coffee. “Just throwing it out there, no need to comment – feel free to disregard it.” He’s paying special attention to your reaction.
“Okay…?” You pretend to be confused.
“You ask first, I’ll tell you as much as I can.” B-WORM doesn’t seem too happy with your reaction.

“What information have you gathered about the cult?” You ask what you came for.
“I hope you have a pencil, because I have a lot to say.” B-WORM tries to act cool as he takes his phone out, he starts reciting every bit of relevant information he has about the end of the world zealots.

First, he talks about a bunch of stuff you already know, about the stupid name that is the Final Emir, what their ministries do, about the dark church and their multiple other bases. What their goals are, when they move their promising members and more. All in all, everything you already knew. You didn’t want to interrupt him in hope he would reveal something you didn’t know…

And he did reveal something!

The Idol girl from the brainwashing video real name is Carol Sung and she’s known all over the internet as YUNG-P, the Youtube Idol! She has an entity that somehow helps brainwash people, but B-WORM doesn’t know the extent of her ability. It is known that 30% of the cultists are fans of her, another 30% just like Ammirati, and just a mere 40% likes the world ending shenanigans. Yeah, you heard that right, 60% are complete idiots – those were B-WORM’s words anyway.

Also the cult receives funding from one of the oldest and most powerful billionaires of the country, an old lady known as Madam Beatrice von Riegel. She owns the Donny Pops conglomerate, the soda chain in other words.

He also mentions the enlightened women, or in other words the brainwashed ones, are taken from Pleasure-Ville to the Dark Church every Thursday night. Some to never be seen again.

“You didn’t spare any details.” You’re in awe, he’s really taking this seriously.
“Yeah, I was dying to share this with someone.” B-WORM doesn’t laugh, but that’s clearly a joke.

“So you’re acting alone or what? What’s your objective here?”
“I am now, yes. The cult has killed people I cared about, captured my friends and not only that… They have that monster.” B-WORM’s eyes have gone white.

“What monster?”
“I answered two of your questions as a freebie. I think it’s appropriate for me to ask some questions as well.”
“Go ahead…” Man, this was about to get good. Poor you.
“Is your name Johnny Ando?”

Are you going to tell him the truth?

“Yeh.” You’re not going to lie to him after he has been so reasonable, right?
“While I already knew, I didn’t expect you to be frank with me.” B-WORM is kind of surprised. “Tell me, what did you do to Howie?”

“I’m not sure…? I think I beat him up once, but it was self-defense. Maybe?” You shrug. You remember Matilda being there, and Twist and… everything else is kind of fussy.
“…Are you sure that’s all? ‘Cause he really really hates you.”
“Yeh.” You shrug again, making those shoulders work. What else can you say? You barely remember the guy sometimes.

“Look, I’m not saying you’re lying but you see…” B-WORM starts going on a long rant.

He talks about how obnoxious Howie was, revealing that yes, Howie was part of the Assembly. And most of the time he implored the other members to aid him in taking you and your supposed group of goons out. How it was the most imperative of operations that a random high school student has to be defeated even before the Judges. You were practically an inside joke to one half of the most important members, they were saying stuff like ‘Should we go for dinner or go beat Johnny Ando?’ – Because you felt so insignificant and they liked mocking Howie and Twist.

In a sense, you proved them wrong, right…? You took their leader for the creator’s sake! Anyway, you sure didn’t miss being the butt of jokes…

“You sure needed to take that one out of your system…” You felt slightly offended, but you pretended you weren't.
“You don’t even know. Don’t. Even. Know.” B-WORM shakes his head, he might have some more rants on him. “Onto more pressing matters, why are you targeting the cult? I do want to point out Howie gathered most of the information I presented you.”

“To put it simply, they want to destroy the world and I don’t want that to happen.” That’s a good explanation, right?
“So you’re just playing the hero?” B-WORM doesn’t look impressed.
“I’m just doing my best.” Bam. Catchphrase. Bet he didn’t see that one coming.

“I don’t think Pleasure-Ville is the place for you to achieve your goal. Unless someone you know got captured by them, you should put your sights on the Dark Church.” B-WORM analyzes.
“I needed more information, that’s all.” You emphasize.

“Anything you can tell me about the Cult?”
“Yeah, only some tidbits though…” You tell him most of the things you remember about the cult.

“They have a Judge on their side…? The leader of them at that? What’s going on?” B-WORM is concerned.
“You didn’t answer me though, what’s your objective here?”
>>
>>3996712

“One of my friends was kidnapped, you can guess the rest.”
“One of your actual friends or one of your Assembly friends?” You raise an eyebrow.
“The Assembly is no more, I don’t have ties with them. I have no idea what happened to Kaz, but if all the members failed to even take one of those Judges – he wasn’t worth keeping around.” B-WORM ends his sentences. That was cruel of him...
“Why do you talk like I know everything you talk about?”
“Because you look like you know way more than you should.” B-WORM is not letting his guard down. “You already knew most of what I told you, right? No need to answer.”

“But I like answering. Why won’t you let me?” You joke.
“Because you’re one of the few people who lets me talk.” B-WORM throws another joke without laughing. “Are we done here? I’ll pay for my own coffee, don’t sweat it.”

Are you done?

“Sure. Want to exchange contacts? I’m sure we can be of help to one another in the future.” You pull out your phone once again.

B-WORM puts his hand in his pocket for a few seconds before agreeing with a nod and taking his phone out. You two exchange numbers in a brief moment.

“By the way, do you want some help with what you’re doing?” You offer your help. Let this new alliance blossom in the battlefield.
B-WORM shakes his head. “No. It’s something only up to me.”
“You sure about that?” You really expected him to say yes, with how open he has been
“Yes, if I don’t get to do this myself I don’t think there’s a reason for me to keep going.” B-WORM leaves a couple of Gor$ on the table and leaves, trying his darndest to look cool while at it. You’re left alone by the café table.

“What do you think it is? Pride or stubbornness?” Philonune asks you, he seems pretty entertained by B-WORM’s antics.
“What do you mean?” You’re not sure where this question comes from. “Anyways, maybe it’s both, they don’t necessarily cancel each other. But who am I to say?”

“I feel like you’re qualified to have your own opinion, partner.” Philonune wants to hear what you think.
“And what’s yours?”
“He wants an excuse to quit, he’s fighting his demons and it’s not going well.” Philonune gives his take.

“And you got all that from our conversation?”
“Just a hunch.” If Philonune had shoulders, he would shrug just like you. A lot of people shrug around these parts…
“That’s not great, your instincts are usually right…” Now you are a little bit worried. You barely know the guy though.
“There is still some fight left in that man, so don’t despair just yet.” Philonune chuckles.

Well, this whole infiltration didn’t go as planned, but you got some information anyhow. But is it enough? Is it time to call it quits? The night is starting to fall.

What do you do now?

You think it’s foolish not to work together if we have a common enemy. You hastily decide to follow B-WORM after paying for the food (Good-Bye 30 Gor$). Unsurprisingly, you found him on his way to Pleasure-Ville again, he was preoccupied with gathering his thoughts, but your sudden appearance didn’t shock him or anything of the like. You’re halfway to Pleasure-Ville near the alley you were before.

“S-Sorry for coming out of nowhere.” You apologize first.
“It’s your specialty, right?” Another B-WORM joke.
“You could say that.” You scratch the back of your head. “The more I think about it, the more I think we need to collaborate together.”

“Need to?” B-WORM frowns. “What makes you say that?”
“Because we have an enemy in common, and…” You really don’t want to tell him he looked off to you, nay to Philonune rather.
“And what? Are you worried about me?” B-WORM is rather perceptive.
“You said it, not me.”

“I’m not here trying to take down the whole cult now. I just need to…”

All of a sudden, coming from the same direction where Pleasure-Ville is, a large truck from Donny Pops company appears - but there is something off about it. This changes B-WORM’s demeanor completely, he was caught off guard.

“They coming out right now?! Damn it!” B-WORM takes two steps forward and checks his watch. “If you really want to help out this is the moment…!” B-WORM starts running towards the truck.

You have a bad feeling about this…

You decided to trail behind B-WORM into this new sudden mission together! As you get next to him (he’s slower than you), you ask him what he just got you into.

“Remember, I told you they take the brainwashed women at Thursday nights! That’s the truck they use it for! It has a different shade of color than the normal ones!” B-WORM informs.
“Wait, we’re going to infiltrate the Dark Church right now?!” You aren’t prepared for this.
“No! But we’ll locate the secret entrance if we follow it!” B-WORM starts waving for a taxi to stop.

The taxi suddenly stops in front of you and the two of you get on board.

“Follow that truck!” B-WORM orders the taxi driver before he could say a word! Almost like in a basic action movie!
“Can’t do that, WORM…” Wait, that voice! The taxi driver is the guy from Judgment Day! The other ex-member of the Assembly, Dudley!
“Thug…?” B-WORM is confused. “You’re a taxi driver?!”

“You already knew that, you bozo! Fuckin’ shit, you guys never paid attention to the shit I said!” Dudley screams back. “This is one big fat coincidence but I’m not going to let this chance slip out of my fingers. Kid, get out of the car. We have a duel to settle.”
“What? What are you talking about?” B-WORM is growing more desperate.
“It’s not Sunset but it will do.” Dudley wants to fight you right now! What the hell?!

What do you do?!

>Run like a hero. Sorry, B-WORM but you’re not in the mood for a fight!

“You’ve been ignorin’ me for days, kid! You don’t pick what the priorities here are!” Dudley barks back.
“He has a point, Thug! We can’t lose any more time in this! Look!” B-WORM points forward.

Dudley looks in front of him. You all witness how a red light just stopped the truck, so you, in fact, have more time. Dudley frowns.

“I can’t go 100% if my mind is on something else, and in that case, what’s even the point of a duel?!” You stress.
“The point of the duel is still the Crystal shard, kid. Everything else is just the icing on the cake.” Dudley doesn’t give a shit about your reasoning. “I’m in a bad, baaad, baaaaaaad mood. Fight me, coward.”
“Hold on a minute. You have one Crystal piece?!” B-WORM’s attention has gone from the truck and looks at you with a little distrust.

“D-Don’t forget why we are here, B-WORM! People’s lives are in danger!” You remind the weird-looking guy. “C’mon, let’s go!”
“Hand me the piece if you care so much.” Dudley isn’t playing games anymore.
“That’s low, man.” You’re disgusted.

“Then be man enough and fight me, I promise I’ll help out after for all I care.” Dudley is not taking this seriously.
“Why don’t we do this in reverse? You help us out and then we’ll have the duel!” You’re in the middle of a big pickle.

“You can only fool me once, kid.” Dudley is not budging.
“Screw this…” B-WORM is trying to step out of the car.

Oh god, what is even happening anymore?! This is going to be an eternal reminder to not do anything like this without your mask!

“Wait, wait…” You grab B-WORM before he steps out. “Is there anything I can do to prove that I’ll do the duel? You know my name and my face, I’m not hard to find. Hell, you can even come with us just to make sure I don’t run away afterward.”
“Fuck, do you understand if we do that, that fucker over there is gonna add himself to the mix and make everything tougher for us, right?” Dudley points at B-WORM. B-WORM looks away without denying the accusation. You hesitate for second but your response is clear.

“Yeah, I know.”
“I respect that.” Dudley points at you. Now he slaps his cheeks with both hands then shakes his head. “Close the door. We movin’.”

Finally, the taxi starts accelerating! The red light turns green and the truck starts moving as well. Doesn’t seem like Dudley is going to miss the chase, he’s not going especially fast either way.

“Now what the fuck is happenin’?” Dudley wonders.
“We’re chasing the cult’s truck to their secret base.” B-WORM reveals without hesitation.
“Right. Why?” Dudley wants real answers.
“To know where their secret base is.” B-WORM explains further.

“Not that, you fuckin’ donkey. Why are you two after the cult?” Dudley gets pissy.
“They want to destroy the world and I don’t want that to happen.” You reveal.
“That’s very noble and commendable of you.” Dudley sounded so annoyed you don’t know if he was honest or not. “You WORM?”
“Sorry, none of your business.” Strangely, B-WORM is not as open with his ex-teammate as you expected.

“Look at our teamwork shining, you never change, do ya?” Dudley is not even that mad. “Hey Johnny, how did you get this asshole to work with ya?”
“By being polite?” You don’t know how to answer that. Why are you even answering him?
“Guess I’ll try to be a little bit more polite then. I guess I should apologize for being a jerk just now, right?”

“Then sorry.” Dudley is tired of everything. “Our cool duel was ruined anyway so I was even more pissed just now.”
“A duel at sunset? When are you going to take things seriously?” B-WORM certainly looks more annoyed now.
“Hey, at least I got further than you on our mission, Mr. Serious.” Dudley continues this uncomfortable discussion.

“You couldn’t beat an old man.” B-WORM shakes his head.
“And you couldn’t beat a comatose girl.” Dudley chuckles.
“A-Are we there yet?” You try to diffuse the situation.

“It’s entering the back of that building.” B-WORM points out. Judging by your map on your phone, The Dark Church is a couple of streets from here.
“That’s it, right?” Dudley seems unimpressed.
“We need to check inside to make sure this is the way.” B-WORM points out.
“How were you planning on getting in there anyway?” Dudley wonders.

“Sneak inside the truck, how else?” B-WORM tilts his head.
“You would’ve been killed, bozo.”
“Not if I was really patient.” B-WORM nods to himself.

“I’ll sneak inside. Be my backup if something bad happens.” You propose first before they delve into another meaningless discussion.
“Let’s put your skills to the test.” B-WORM wants to know your deal, so he nods in agreement. “I’ll be your backup.”
“Guess I’ll be the backup for the backup, and the escape plan. We need to keep your ass safe since you’re the only one who knows where the crystal is.” Dudley says it in a joking tone.

“That helps.” B-WORM seems open to working with Dudley as well.
“What exactly am I looking for in there?” You ask B-WORM.
“I hope you can find some sort of underground tunnel that connects it with the Dark Church. At worst, this should be a facility where they keep those brainwashed women in – in that case, you should sneak further and try to figure out how they move the women to the church. I know the secret entrance exists, but I just don’t know where.” B-WORM explains.

“And why is it important to find this secret entrance? A sneak attack?” Dudley wonders. “I know a thing or two about sneaking, you know?”
“My priority is to save the people I came looking for.” B-WORM responds.
“So that’s your deal, eh?” Dudley now looks more concerned.

“I need to ask you, you sure you want to do this?” B-WORM wants your confirmation.
“Yeah, I’m ready.” You put your mask and hoodie to be close by. Not before texting Scarlet about the situation and where you are.

Aside from the usual messages you get from her in these situations, like 'be careful', 'no need to overexpose yourself' and others - Scarlet mentions there is no such facility mentioned in any of the documents, so that’s either a good sign or the information you got is incomplete. Something to keep in mind.

Before going, you ask B-WORM how you’re supposed to notify them if you’re in danger. He shrugs and says you will have to send him a text or flat out call him. Whatever works better for you.

This facility is some type of car workshop, it’s a wide building, looks a little rusty in a way very close to the 1-Plus factory. You all saw the truck getting in, so it’s not like the place is not abandoned.

The convenient decision here is to try to sneak up by the side while invisible, you’ll have to find a window or another way inside. You start walking around and scanning the place before making your decision. You aren’t sure if you want those two to know your ability, so you hide behind a wall and turn invisible outside of their view. They are waiting on the other side of the street, two buildings to the right at a little plaza.

No need to sneak inside an air duct or a little window this time, at the back of the building there is a window opened and with space to spare for your body to go through. Well “opened” is kind of generous, it appears they never replaced a broken window and left it as it is. Better for you!

You carefully make your way inside this part of the building. It’s an empty office, full of dust and almost completely empty aside from some furniture that you’re not going to verify if they are broken or not.

To your mild surprise, the door here is closed! You try to force it, and the hinges just fell off. You grab the door before it collapses outside of the room, and slowly put it down. That was weird, but everything is going according to plan, right? After going through a little corridor, you find the car workstation proper. It’s old and unkempt, there are no signs of heavy machinery or anything that tells you this place has been running. What’s up with the cult using abandoned buildings?

And there it is, that’s the truck! You hear some voices coming from inside it. There are a couple of cultists hanging around outside, you don’t remember their ranking all that well, but they have clothes from an upper rank that your regular cult minion wouldn't have, there are four of them. They are all talking amongst themselves, and for what you can gather, they are waiting for someone to arrive – a minister, perhaps? Doesn’t seem like they can continue their plan with the truck otherwise.

Well, it’s better to check out the truck so you can determine if you’re following the right lead or not. With the goons near the front of the truck leaning towards the right, you go around them and approach the back of the truck as silently as you can. With the experience you’ve accumulated in these trying times, you did a superb job and went completely unnoticed. There is a problem though, the back of the truck is chained up with a padlock.

You don’t want to test your luck and steal the keys from them, so you decide to do the only plan that comes to your mind and bring out Philonune and use his spear to break it. You hope their loud babbling will cover up the sound somehow.

Oh and by the way, they are in fact waiting for a Chancellor. It was not a minister, but you really don’t care about the nuances of their ranking system. You must do this quickly and smoothly.

You managed to break open the padlock with one swift strike. Despite it being quite loud, the cultists didn’t notice – they are too busy procrastinating! Only good news so far. Now you take off the chains left on the little step, unlock the door and…

Uh-oh, while opening the truck to check what’s inside, the doors made one obnoxiously loud screeching noise! Why has nobody oiled up this thing?! Why don't these guys take proper care of their stuff!

“Hey what was that?!” One of the four not-lowest ranked cultists notices something wrong. They all slowly start approaching the door.
“Did someone break the lock?! How?!” A second guy wonders. The others tell him to shut up.

Oh fuck. This ain’t good!

What do you do?!

Your mission is one thing and one thing only, to find the secret entrance to the Dark Church – and for that you need to make sure you’re following the right lead! You decide to take a quick peek inside the truck and…

What’s inside can only be described as unsettling. There is a large group of women and a few men enough to fill up the space inside without being all over each other, sitting on their knees – all passively looking at the side of the truck. All their eyes look glassy and they are wearing skimpy clothes. But there is something that’s bothering you more than anything else…

What’s Holly doing in there?! She looks a tiny bit different than the others though, as she’s the only one who looked at your direction…

You had no more time to think this through and backed off from the truck. You’re trying to gather your own thoughts as you silently move away without any problems whatsoever. Your back is against a metal garage door.

“Hey, you should go first. You’re the one with a flame, right?” The 4th cultist orders the smallest one.
“Huh? Eh? Me? Y-Yeah…” The smallest one doesn’t look so sure. You can’t see a flame on him...

The henchmen slowly look around at the truck and the broken lock. The chinless one breaks the uncomfortable silence…

“Don’t tell me the lock broke just like that again?” He sounds disappointed.
“Does this happen often?” The larger one wonders. He seems to be the newest member.
“Doesn’t surprise me one bit, everything we have is way too precarious.” The chinless cultist is tired of this supposed daily occurrence.

“Hey, hey, hey…” The smallest one brings everyone’s attention. “It’s open…” He grins and jumps to see what’s inside the truck. Now he looks excited.
“We were told not to peek inside!” The 4th isn’t comfortable with what’s happening.
“We need to make sure nobody snuck inside, right?!” The small guy tries to convince the other guys. “H-Hey what the hell…?” He gets scared and trips onto the ground, his voice lost all emotions. He looks like he has seen a ghost.

Sadly this is all we have for this thread! Thanks for playing!
