Here's my understanding.

You have 8 missiles per pod and no need to reload. The 3 shells is just a generic "ammo" symbol, it has no bearing on the actual missile pod mechanics.

Strafing Fire lets you spread your missile fire along your previous movement path, if you shoot after moving. Still costs the normal action to move and the normal action to shoot, however. Main benefit is spreading out the missile AoE to hit more targets with same damage, due to barraging.

Glide is essentially a "forced move action", it has no connection with your previous thrust values as a strike craft. That sort of calculation is only for drift.

Glide is just a mandatory move action. It functions exactly the same as any other move action you would take. Thrust and turn as much or as little as you would like.

It's because glide is a 'free' move action.
The 'steering wheel' symbols are how much you can turn per move/turn action respectively. That is, if you turn as part of a move, you may only turn up to three facings. If you commit a whole action to turning you can turn up to four facings.

I believe the [DRO] is the only dropship model with the ordnance. And they're not missiles, they're bombs (dropped on target, not fired at them).

You can fire all PT-4s at a single target in all their firing arcs using 1 action. This uses the less accurate [40]x4 profile. You may be able to fire all 4 at a target directly ahead of you as a Pelican but it'd be tricky to line up.

The Pelican is more of an assault transport to insert boarding crews somewhere. As for finding infantry, you may be able to pick some up from the ground forces. I'd coordinate that with the Sea Dragon Palace if it's not clear yet.

I know the Pelican and most DR ships are SUPPOSED to be transports but the Valkyrie was SUPPOSED to be a VTOL capable drop ship... Then they added extra armor, 6 las cannons then called it the Vendetta gunship. Then they completely replaced the cargo space with a giant engine, gave it cool weapons including a twin nose mounted rotary cannon and called it the Vulture, still one of the coolest ships in 40k.

Currently, the Hyperion is an important flagship containing the core staff of the 26th Regiment.

Though small it was an important workhorse in line ship formations roughly a thousand years ago during the Human recession. Once my daughter gets the seed materials to Celestial Host , they will be able to print more of these on demand. In its hayday, the EDF Destroyers classified as a Beam ship, sitting rank and file firing lasers at each other from afar.

However due to their death toll from Makarians, have been phased out in favor of Interceptor squadrons. Though, I get the feeling that their simplicity in standing back and firing positron beams will be the safe strategy we need to break a hive or two this go around. So please, don't resort to ramming speeds just yet.

I want missiles, Kusanagi. We have interuptors and interceptors and it's bunk, junk, busted, rust. Take the missile pods.

There we go, interceptors with missile bays. Not one pilot worth their suit would want to be forced to fly the standard model interruptor, it has less payload than a predator and half the resilience of a Pelican! It's a flying junk vessel, with all due respect to its hallowed frame. It's an obsolete flying missile pod in the age of mass deployment cruisers! Put the photon mine array on the Interceptor, it can take the power requirement, and then it'll actually be worth something in a bombing run!

Durandal: I've prepped Pascal's offerings as best as I can. We're basically neanderthals compared to their use of humanoid frames but I daresay my approach should at least make us EFFECTIVE Primates once we put these on.

Cassia is both the farthest thing from enemy lines , to the closest terrestrial entity IN enemy lines due to its extreme orbit around the Silver Line. Scouts from unknown networks of origin are said to have worked as repatriates in multiple units carrying the same clone from many destroyed worlds or units. They are given the onerous task of having to report back failures and tragedies and are hard pressed to leave it. Other more inquisitive Specialists hail from "Observatory 13" a universal eponym for a psicomm Server where intelligence agents are sorted and gathered. Its physical location is in the remote regions of space, capable of observing Xenoform and Makarian movement in silence. Scouts who have survived vicious planets are a rare but welcomed lot as their blase reactions to the xenoform threat puts others at ease.
