Asia Argento, Dragon Slaying Saint of Heaven. The War is coming to an end, where they must fight the final enemy of the Grail War. Though they are attacking Vampires in their Haven, which is something most people would not be willing to do.

Journal XVIII

Through hard work and dedication I was finally able to eliminate the creature that was Old Man Matou. Though at the price of Sakura, I ate his Soul, causing him to no longer be a part of this world.

Besides that, I got a nice majority of Servants to ally with us, making the War more or less end with our alliance. Though I have a feeling that Assassin will do something much more permanent.

Besides all that, there are a list of things I must do as promises to everyone. Rin desires that Kotomine be expelled from Fuyuki, Caster wishes to hold a favor, and Illya desires to meet her father once more.

Asia has Eaten a Dragon Soul, so choose a Shout. You are currently working on Durrnivir’s summoning if I was not mistaken.

Choose one of the Ability Scores and they will be raised by +5

Asia has gained 400 xp from the previous events. What should she invest points into?

Lastly, you have 4 units to either increase HP by 1 or Mana by 10.

Skill to be purchased:

All below this cost 100 xp:
>Smithing (Novice)
>Alchemist (Apprentac)
>Acquire a new spell (Chosen from Skyrim)
>Medicae +20
>Crushing Blow: +2 damage to melee attacks
>Magician Lore

Cost of 200 xp:
>Magic Proficiency Increase: Asia becomes more skilled in a magic school, halving the mana cost as well as learning a new spell of that rank.
>Othopoxy: Gives a +20 to resist torture.

Cost: 400XP
>Counter Attack: When Asia successfully parries an attack, she gets a free attack.

>Counter Attack: When Asia successfully parries an attack, she gets a free attack.
Increase HP, all.
>>
>>4064769
>use the dragon shout on Summon Durnehviir
Just one more to go!
>raise Ballistics skills by +5
I'm still pissed at that 76 roll. Maybe 80 will be enough for next time.
>use 1 unit to increase hp and 3 to increase our Mana
We have avalon, so being able to use more magic, and our servant's noble phantasm is a bigger concern for me
>Counter Attack: When Asia successfully parries an attack, she gets a free attack.

Also in favor of raising ballistics +5 and getting a frost shout

With a little bit more work I was able to get a good amount of pancakes made, slowing putting them all towards the living room to feed the people. Slowly but surely we had a few people of the house come over to eat from the growing pile.

First was Rin, who had come down from her nap a little bit groggy and worn from the events of yesterday. She had taken a seat at the table and slowly began eating without a word to anyone.

After that, I had accidentally hit something with my foot as I was working on the remainder of food. Low and behold, I looked down to see a miniature Berserker sleeping underneath the table. It did not take her long to wake up as I hung a small pancake next to her.

Soon enough we were all in the room, not a single person in the house missing. Caster had taken the chance to lounge in a nearby chair while Rider had simply taken to a small cup of tea.

“Finally, I’m fucking awake.” Rin cried out as she leaned back in her chair, “Caster, who do we have left to take out?”

“That would be the Vampire and Lancer located in an Apartment building.” Caster answered with a small smile, “If I was to guess, Lancer was still suffering from the grand defeat against Archer.”

“So we are mainly worried about the Vampires. Tsk.” With that Rin took a long, hard gulp of the tea that rested in her hand.

“So is there a strategy we need to us?” I asked with a small bit of wonder.

“Couldn’t we just burn them all?” Ibaraki asked as if she was an innocent creature of all things.

“We could, but that would kill everyone else.” Rider explained with a small vein on his head, “We might have a good chance if we somehow exposed them to sunlight. However, I believe they awaken once someone enters their home.”
>Why not prepare a bunch of Stakes?
>Maybe Rin can make some sunlight bombs
>Do we just blow a hole into the side of the building?

If only Archimedes was around, we could set up a system of mirrors that would send sunlight into the building and kill them all. Punching holes in walls here and there might help make a secure position though.

>Maybe Rin can make some sunlight bombs
>>
“Hmm, hey Rin, would you be able to make something like a sun bomb?” I asked the magician.

“Closest I can make are flash bombs.”

“If that is the best you can make then it is what we will use.” I said with a small smile, “Does anyone else have any suggestions?”

The people around the table shook their heads in response to the question. It seemed they all said what they wanted to say for the coming event.

“Well, Tohsaka, if you can get those bombs of your made we will be going over.” I called to conclude the small meeting.

It would be within an hour that we made our way over to the Vampire’s base. The people of Fuyuki were moving about, slowly making their ways about the land to their jobs and businesses. Asia even caught some school age kids making their way to the general highschool.

As for where she drove, Asia and the other two Masters ended up out front of a rather luxurious apartment complex. Noting at the apartment was outward facing, similar to that of a hotel in a sense. THey only way to get into the place was to get through the front door with a key card.

Luckily Caster had given them a key card before they left to finish this.

“So I just got this in from Caster.” Rin called out as she looked up, “There is apparently a porch right in the middle of the place. So if we came in through the roof, we would get in without even using the keycard.”

>Key Card into the front door

With both Berserker and Rider in their spirit forms, we quickly made our way up to the door. There were not many people coming in and out of the building, the sight more closely to that of an office building than a standard residential one.

As we arrived, Rin swiped the card brought out the card and pointed it at the door. We all waited there for a moment but nothing happened, “Come on open!”

“Tohsaka, you are suppose to swipe it.” Illya said with a small smile presented towards the slot.

“Really, that just seems too inconvenient.” With a motion of her hand the card went through the reader. A few more clicks were sounded off as the door went slightly ajar.

With that we made our way inside the facility, and next to an elevator. Taking a moment to look around, there was no other way so we clicked the button, waited for the minute to pass, and then entered the elevator.

“Uh, floor four I think. Thats where Caster said they would be.” Rin said as I pressed on said button. With a small jolt we were taken up to said floor.

Honestly there might have been better ways of getting in, but it seemed this place was supposed to be the latest greatest apartment building or something.

Soon enough we left the Elevator, Rin pointing us in the direction of their room. As we walked I could obviously feel the Vampire’s presence as we traveled. Though as we got closer, I can feel a ping enter my mind.

“I can feel the presence of Lancer. He has not noticed us yet, but I desire to face him directly without trickery.”

I could only ask a question, “Why is that?”

“Because he helped us before. I do not wish to betray his trust even in these final moments.”

”Sure, since he was an ally I guess he should face you honorably.” I answered the Servant.

“I thank you for this honor.” And with that my connection to Georgios snapped away.

“Hey Asia?” The little girl who was Illya called out, “Why is Rider going away from us?”

“Because he will face Lancer for us, maybe even take him away from our battle field.” I answered her.

“Alright, Berserker says she wants to kill the undead anyways.” She said with a cute smile. Though honestly it was a little bit sinister when placed on her.

“Alright?”

With that we continued on our way towards the doors. To be honest the entire placed looked the same, there being no real distinguishing features on the walls. Instead we had to rely on the wall numbers that were going kind of wonky in all honesty.

Though before long we inched our ways towards the hallway, and the moment I poked my head out of it I quickly made everyone stop. With another motion I pushed them all back into the otehr hallway.

”Did you see something?” Rin quickly asked in a small whisper.

I gave a firm nod, “Two vampire, things. They don’t really feel like vampires though.”

“Thin-bloods?” Illya quickly asked before her eyes widened for a moment, “Oh, you don’t know? They are Vampires who are too diluted to suffer from their kind’s weaknesses. So they can do things like stay awake during the day, eat food, and even walk into sunlight sometimes.”

“So they are basically human?”

“Yeah, many are even as weak as humans too.”
She ended with a small smile.

“Well in that case, give me a moment. They will be eliminated quickly.” And with those words I slowly made my way over to the edge. With a push of my will Excalibur was transformed from a simple sword into that of a rifle with a silencer on the tip of it.

I trained my sights on the pair, neither being the wiser as I did. Honestly it was pretty suprising, the last time I faced off against their kind I was almost killed multiple times. I was only alive because of Mor’Voh’s skill in the art of healing. Now though, I was prepared.

After what was a few seconds come by I pulled the trigger, the bullet flying through the air with frightening speed. Within moments the attack easily striked the first vampire, his entire skull becoming that of mash when the bullet exited his brainspace.

It continued to travel, the other barely seeing the attack come at him. It too entered his brain, causing about the same tier of explosion as his predecessor.

“Huh, you shot as good as daddy.” Illya said as the two rounded the corner behind me. As we approached the doors the two corpses were lit alight in a blue fire, easily becoming nothing but ash once we arrived at the door.

With another push of my will the Rifle was transformed into a key. With a swift motion I was able to open the door with a mix of having the weapon automatically adjust to the form of the key hole, and a little bit of skill.

“You are very much like Father.” Illya said with a small frown as I opened the door.

“Am I now?”

She gave a nod, “He showed me a few tricks, but he was so good at them.”

“He must have been a man to know.” I answered truthfully.

“He was… someone.”

With that I looked into the room, my eyes searching for anything out of place. The first thing I noticed was how there was no light in the room, likely due to the Vampires preferring lower light stations.

To my immediate left was a small kitchen, leaving the right bare for the most part except for a series of chairs. Besides that, there were hallways at either side of the room.

With a little bit of caution in my step we advanced our way deeper into the Vampire’s lair, the place just barely lit by the hallway light. We were lucky, as all our steps were so silent that they could not be heard by anything.

My eyes crossed over the pair of hallways, on the right was a series of doors, maybe four of them in total. The left however had only a single door, so I made my way towards the said door.

In my gut there was always a feeling, the feeling that I get whenever I approach a supernatural creature. A blessing of the Lord for sure, for as I approach the door I could feel it getting much, much stronger.

Soon I was before it, both Illya and Rin wisely taking a few steps back inorder to avoid direct confrontation. For the state of Berserker, well I know she is here but where I do not know.

I turned the door handle slowly, the door creeping open once released. It was only when the door hit the opposing wall, light flooding in, that I could see the creature before he.

He was standing up from his coffin wearing a business suit, his eyes staring daggers at me. He was currently grabbing the back wall as if he was trying to become one with it, or maybe become camouflage within it. Either way, it was not working very well as our eyes made contact.

“Oh, uh, forget me please.” He said with those words, and I felt something wash over me. However, such magic never had any real effect on me.

“No.”

“Well fuck.” Was about all the Vampire could say as he got out a gun.

He quickly wielded his gun towards me, the speed of which more than that a normal human can pull off. However, at that moment I quickly willed Excalibur’s form to transform into its true form. With a swift movement of my blade the weapon was knocked aside, leaving him weaponless in front of me.

With another motion of my blade I pointed it towards him, “In the name of the Lord, I demand that you repent for your Sins.”

Within moments of my words the corpse before me grew wide eyes, ones that I had seen on their kind before. It was from the old man as I gave a Lord’s prayer, after which I blew up his head. Such is the fear before me.

Within a moment he took a single step forward, and from reality came Berserker, “You’re not going anywhere!” And with that cry she grappled him.

It was not any longer that the vampire became alight. White Holy light began at his chest and continued on the way towards his neck.

His screams of agony were horrendous though, as I am sure anyone nearby could have heard it. HIs last few moments must have been pain as he tried to escape the Holy light of God, but he soon turned into ash just like all the others.

“Huh, and I was hoping to eat that.” Berserker admitted with a curt smile, “Though there are more.”

She quickly reached forward and grabbed onto the collars of both Rin and Illya, quickly dragging them into the room with us as gunfire began to cover the hallway.

That said, Berserker reached out a little as if she was testing the rain. Within moments a pair of bullets came right at her, smacking into her hand as if it was a target, “Ouch, damn bloodsuckers got new weapons.”

“I’m going to eat you all up, you know!” Just like before, their fire was suddenly trained on her voice, “Well, they seem to have limitless amounts of it.”

“Ibaraki, please do not burn this apartment.” I asked the Oni.

She grew a small smile, “Oh, is there a problem with that?”

“Indeed there is, you would probably destroy everything.” I said with a firm feeling in my chest, “However, that does not mean you can not just kill the monsters.”

“Oh, I guess that’s good enough.” She said with a shrug.

With that confirmation I took in a deep breath and called out to the Dragon within my chest. While it was dulled by my calling of the lord, it awakened upon my desire to use it.

“Joor Zah Frul!”

And with that cry the armor of Dragons completely encompassed me. I watched as Rin threw a series of gems into the room where the Vampires were, the explosion of light encompassing the room. In all honesty, I had forgotten about the Sun bombs, but in such a scenario they were quite helpful.

“Follow me Ibaraki!”

“Fuck yes!”

And with that we quickly went outside of the door, the sight of two pairs of Vampires in our sight. As I crossed the hallway, they were just barely raising their guns to meet us once more. Even one was able to fire his off, but the bullet went wide as we finally made it. The expression on their eyes were wide as I brought Excalibur down upon him.

He tried to dodge, but the blade had instead went cleanly through his leg. With its holy fury the weapon burnt him just like the over, turning his entire body into ash.

Next to me the Oni had made quick work of another, easily tearing his skull off with her bare hands. For a moment he bled, but just like the others turned into dust.

I looked towards the remaining pairs of Vampires. Their more human features were prominent, but the terror in their eyes told me they feared the will of God. With a good bit of resolve I pointed my weapon towards them.

“In the name of God, be purified.”

And like that, the two caught on fire. Such is the will of God, and the weakness of those beings who shine away from his light.

With that over, that leads us to one last fight.

---{Perspective Change: Saint Georgios}---
“Sure, since he was an ally I guess he should face you honorably.”

“I thank you for this honor.”

And with those words Saint Georgios separated from the entourage of Magicians, a Demon, and a Saint. If he had to be honest with himself it was a nice relief knowing that there was another chance to serve the Lord. The manner how it came about, well, he desired something more.

However, this went towards the reason Asia Argento became a Saint. He knew times were changing if God’s absence was an indicator. The Saint had once met Micheal as a proxy to God, and the Saint had the feeling that he was different from his righteous brothers.

He was calm and collected, willing to forgive those who trespassed against his sword. Such a thing seems to have come to a head with his deal with the Devils, that he might have been worn down too far for War.

But then that is how the Lord made him, so Georgios would not question it.

By now he was in another hallway, one too far from the side where he felt the Vampires. Both he and Lancer became real to stare one another down.

“Saint Georgios, I assume you invade my home to kill my subjects?”

“Indeed, your creatures are a bane upon this world, Vlad the Impaler.” The Rider Servant however shook his head, “Though I have the feeling you do not like it?”

“You would be correct, though of course I was not the first you know.” The Servant said with a long sigh, “That would be Caine. His bastard Kin spread upon our world like a deadly plague. That does not matter now though, am I correct Saint Georgios?”

“Indeed, your wish might be a truly righteous one,” The Saint drew his sword, “But my Service is to God, and so is Assassin’s.”

“The death of all Vampires is definitely worthy, especially for what they did to my fair country.” A small spark of red light came from Vlad’s eyes, “That is why I staked every soul, let them be Vampire or human. I just wanted to make sure they saw God’s eye upon our world.”

“As a Saint to a follower, I am sorry to do this to you.”

“Indeed, even if the chances of winning are now slim I must fight till the end. That is how a Ruler like myself should go out.”

“Then prepare yourself Vlad!” Georgios cried out as he crossed the threshold between himself and Lancer.

The other Servant struck the ground with his lance, and within the next moment spikes arose from the ground, all going for the Rider Servant. However, none of them were fast enough no matter how fast or skilled Lancer truly was.

It tis for Rider is the Fastest Class by far.

Right before Rider was able to make it, the King quickly generated a wall of spikes with their points towards him. A quick move to prevent Rider’s assault for coming to fore wishen, but a foolish one in that they were both weak and easy to shatter by the touch of Rider’s sword.

One strike broke through the defense, the next followed up upon the flesh of the Lancer.

“Ghn!” The man bit his tongue as the sword barely breached his skin. Now close at range though Lancer quickly made a pair of strike, however none of the attacks hit as Rider parried one and dodged the other.

“You are not skilled with a blade are you Lancer?” Rider quirped with a sorrow smile.

“You are correct, but I leave my fighting to the people!” With a pull of his hand the spikes behind Rider once more became animated, all directing at him with immense speed.

He was easily able to dodge the first set, his ability as Rider evident in the moves. However, due to being occupied with one set he was quickly struck by another in the back. His flesh and armor held however, the attack bouncing in opposing direction!

“Indeed you lead them, but faith is much stronger than that!” And with that Georgios did a pair of strikes across Lancer’s chest. Though he still looked like he could fight, the blood from his new wounds were evident.

At this moment the entire hall was filled with a beastial scream, one of an immortal facing the reality of God. Lancer simply shook his head as within moments the screaming stopped, “It seems my subject has finally left this world, good riddens. Though I probably wished to get it done myself.”

“I would wish for the same.” Rider said before thinking for a moment, “Though my Master knows how to treat those who truly threaten Humanity.”

With that the two crossed sword and lance, the exchange leaving Lancer worse for wear as the fight continued onwards.

Geogrios went in for a pair of strikes, and while Lancer tried to parry the first he was beaten in that regard. With brute skill Geogrios left a pair of cleaves into the Lancer’s chest and arm, the wounds now bleeding previously was the battle commenced.

In return Lancer attacked with his lance, the attack barely inching into Rider’s armor and into his skin.

With that exchange the two backed away from one another, the sounds of steady breathing filled the air.

“This seems to be my end, Saint Georgios.” Lancer said with a shake of his head, “Your skill matches your legend.”

“Thou has shown his might.” The Saint flicked the blood off of his weapon, “Though you are correct in your acertian.”

“Then give me a glorious death!”

With that call Goergios went in to attack once more. As he did, the feeling of something within him stirred, however his body’s sheer toughness prevented anything from occuring that would have injured him.

As he got within range, Georgios made a strike at his foe’s left. Lancer quickly moved to catch up with it, but that was not the true strike. Within the next moment the Saint of Dragon Slaying took a step forward, spinning his entire body. With that momentium, his strike became not a left, but a right.

“You fought honorably. Die human, not as a monster”

And with that he made a gigantic move with Ascalon, his blade easily severing the head of Vladimir Dracul, the Son of the Dragon, from his body.

Such was the end of the Holy Grail War.

It simply gave Georgios a sense of melancholy.
>>
It was about half an hour after we slayed the Vampires that we arrived at the sight of the Holy Grail. The murky caves were of course quite inhospitable for the most part, but it was rather easy to brave as we all traveled our ways towards the holdings of Assassin.

Soon enough we all walked into the room that housed the Grail, the massive ball of almost divine light. Of course standing vigilant was Assassin, as if he was expecting us to arrive at this time.

“It seems the tides of battle are over, we have won?” He asked with a wave of his massive hand.

“Y-yeah, we have. Everyone with me has agreed to drop the War in exchange for something.” I answered with a small drop of sweat coming down my forehead.

Assassin looked over the group assembled, his eyes ever searching over them. It was only a moment after that he nodded, “Very well, I do not feel animosity from thy all. Matilda Gorgon, it is safe for thou to come.”

“Thanks~” The form of Matilda emerged from the back of Assassin’s cloak, “Nice to see you made a few friends, Asia!”

“Yup! So whats the problem with the Grail?”

“Well of all things who would have guessed an Evil God was growing in it. If I had to suggest anything, it would be to just dispose of the thing.”

“Then thyself will kill it.” Assassin claimed with an iron decree, “To make sure none back away from our deals, I will eliminate its existance.”

“Well, just in case.” I answered honestly, “There might be a time that we all need to call upon the device once more.”

“Sound logic, very well.” Assassin turned towards the object and went flying towards it, his figure becoming only a dot as he entered the Grail.

“So you are just going to let that thing stay here Einzbern?” Tohsaka asked the little girl as we watched, “Since you did not get the Grail, I’m pretty sure your family is going to kick out just like they did the Mage Killer.”

“Is that so?” The girl seemed to think about it for a moment until she shook her head, “I could care less about Grandfather, and anyways I have a chance to go meet papa anyways.”

“We will need to see about it, I still need to get permission from Micheal first.” I answered quickly.

“Tsk, pitty I can’t get the damn Grail.” Berserker complained while laying on her back, “Mastah, care if Ibaraki joins you for a while.”

“I would be happy to do that, though where’s that put me?” The little girl placed her finger on her chin, “I won’t have a place to live if Tohsaka is correct, so maybe…” Sharp eyes moved towards me.

“Well, I can see about having you a place at my Church.” I answered her with a little caution, “Micheal talked about assigning me to monitor Japan in the coming few years.”

“Spending the rest of my time in service to the Church in Japan.” The girl gave a knowing shrug, “Well, I guess there is worse.”

“But what about me Master!” The Berserker complained quite loudly.

“Do not worry, you might learn a little humility at some point.” I answered her.

“Tsk, at least I’m going to get some cake, right?”

“I will make pancakes for you everyday until you learn to be less glutinous.”

With that Berserker started to mumble something incoherently as the sound of bells came through the air. Within the next moment, I felt my soul stir a little as if something had changed. The next moment however it was gone, along with the ever present dread that was the Evil God.

And at the conclusion of that I heard a pair of hands clapping. My eyes quickly moved, along with everyone towards a single individual who was standing at the mouth of the cave. His hair was that of Gold, and his eyes of a crimson red. Adorned on his head was a blue item that acted as a crown, along with a golden book within his hands.

Soon his clapping stopped as his eyes seemed to somehow stare into all of ours, “Congratulations, all of you, for succeeding in killing the God Angra Manyu and ending the Holy Grail War.”

“Who are thou?” For the first time in a while Georgios spoke, a slight growl coming from his voice.

The man who felt more that a man made a motion to his chest with a smile, “I am Gilgamesh, King of Uruk! I simply thought I come to thank you all for ridding me of that pest who lurked in my treasure.”

“You!?” Rin quickly called out to the King before us.

“Indeed, it is I, your Father’s Servant. I would apoligies for his death, but he was foolish enough to throw himself into death. Fool thought himself better than a Mage Slayer he did.”

>Demand to know why he came here!

As I watched everything unfold I decided to stay back for only a little bit. It was a wonder on what exactly the man wanted, though the more he stayed near us the more I felt his presence. He was most definitely not human, and those red eyes hinted at something more… I somehow want to say divine.

“I… was told that before.” Rin answered back, “That same excuse was given by Kotomine.”

“Yes, he would surely do that to a small child.” the King said while sweeping his hand, “In the end though he could never win. No one could with the spawn polluting my treasure.”

“Gilgamesh…” I suddenly turned to my right to see Hassan standing next to me, “Is there another reason for you attacking my holding? Are you going to invalidate our pact?”

“I have no reason too, if I truly wanted the Grail I would have used my own.” he answered with a flick of his hand, “But now that the Grail’s corruption has been taken care of, I can move onto different things.”

“What things does a King of Old desire to do?” Rider quickly asked.

“The welfare of Humanity, for Humanity’s civilization comes from Ur. In that logic, all are below my rule.” The King shook his head, “Of course that means gathering allies, but I believe none of you would be willing.”

I could feel not just myself but the others were about to say something but the man simply raised his hand to somehow silence us, “As a host though I feel bad just leaving you all without a reward for completing this War.”

His eyes moved over towards Rin Tohsaka first, “For you, the Magus of the Gem, I present to you the works of Pliny the Elder.”

“Eh, wait, what!?” The girl quickly grabbed onto the book and started looking through it, her eyes widening so that I could see them even over the book.

His ire shifted from her towards Illya, “And for you, I believe some good news is in order. You will no longer die of a premature birth as a Servant of a God magic works the miracles of healing.”

“Eh? EH!? What do you mean by that!?”

The man simply gave a simple smile while moving from her towards myself.

“As I understand it, you will be guarding a sanctuary in the coming future. It will be a place where people come to worship your God and beings will come together to work together.” He gave a small laugh, “In the future, you and I will surely be enemies.”

I blinked a couple times at the man, “C-come again?”

Gilgamesh simply shook his head, “It is simply in our nature you know. It would of course be unwise to give you such artifacts, in that some day you will surely use them against me. However I feel the Master who successfully ended the War should receive something.”

“You can withhold it,” I said with a clear voice, “I already have the blessing of my Lord, I do not need anything more.”

“Not for the trials ahead of us all.” The Golden man said smoothly while bringing out a set of armor. It was a Golden set, the pauldrons quite huge in all honesty. Though stapled all about them were the iconography of the Holy Cross, “This here is Carolus Patricius, the armor of Charlemagne. When you claim a domain, it will strengthen it and protect it through your body and soul. Use it wisely.”

Within an instant the armor flew from the portal at me, without even a second’s notice I was contained within it. While it was originally for a much larger person, the size instantly shrunk to my own dimensions, making it an easy to move in.

With that he moved towards Assassin, using the same portal to fire a small projectile to the ground before him. It was a simple steel sword though Gilgamesh had the widest smile upon his face, “You were probably looking for this, weren’t you?”

“My Sword, as expected of the one who owns all.” Assassin answered as he drew it into his cloak.

“I suggest you give it to your Kid, I bet you he’ll have a blast with it.”

“Is this a bribe to keep thyself from killing thou, Gilgamesh?”

“Indeed it is.” The King answered simply, “take the hints and realize you owe me a debt. Letting me go now will repay it.”

“And with that, I will make my leave.”

>Quickly ask what he plans to do now.
>Take his leave, organize to head to Heaven Pronto with Matilda

“Wait!” I called out to the King, “Why am I going to be your enemy!?”

The King looked over and gave a small snicker, “Simple, man should be free of the arrogant Gods. It is only when Humanity has free will that it truly thrives and be safe.”

With those words he vanished, a laughter permeating through the caves as we all looked towards his disappearing form.

With that the War was over, at least in a sense that everyone stopped fighting. I could only guess that if any of our Servants were to die, the Grail War would count that as a Death toll and continue forward. But as of now, there will not be anyone trying.

By the time we all had returned to the Tohsaka residence, Caster had already disappeared from the place. The only thing he had left behind was a small card that Rin had read out to us.

>Hello you all, as the competition is over I will be taking my matters to the greater scope. If you try and find me, I will be sure it is the most difficult trail you have ever found!

“That bastard!” Rin complained as she crumbled up the paper, “He was even able to sever the Master/Servant bond somehow!”

“I wouldn’t worry about it too much. He didn’t do much during the War.” Illya claimed as she and Berserker were now playing cards.

“He was able to figure out everyone’s Identity.” I claimed as I rested on the couch, “But he might need time to do whatever he wants, and I owe him a favor.”

“Well I think I came out positive in the war. I mean look at this book!” Rin quickly showed off the cronicals in her hand, “With this my Magecraft could go from zero to fucking space!”

“Indeed.” I calmly said. As for my own, I was luckily able to make the armor disappear with a small push of my will. I sank a little more into my seat, “Assassin and Rider have both gone to Heaven, so I will be heading there soon myself.”

“You need to leave that soon? The Church is very demanding.” Illya quirped as she took a card from Berserker’s hand.

>Have a small party to celebrate the War’s end *Give me fluff*

>>
>>4072662
i forgot to add, we should bid farewell to Taiga before leaving. I wonder how she is taking Sakura death.
>>
“No, there is something I need to finish up.” I said to the two as I got up and started heading out the door, “I will be back to make some dinner though, so know that!”

“Alright.” Illya said in response to my words.

With that I made my way out of the Tohsaka residence and towards the Church. It was still daylight as I was walking, and so there was not many people going about. Since it was a week day, people should start leaving to head back home within the coming few hours.

It was not a very long walk, the Church itself relatively easy to find. Now that I got a better look at the place it kind of looked in the style of the Spanish. The pale white steeple was high in the air as I approached. Soon enough I crossed the statue that stood guard on the outside, weaving my way to the interior.

“It seems you have finally arrived.” The man called out as he turned from the alter, “It seems most of the Servants have left already, meaning the Grail War is effectively over. I must wish you congratulations.”

I nodded as I approached the Father before tilting my head, “For what?”

“Are you not the one who orchestrated it?”

“Indeed I am.” I answered truthfully while a question quickly appeared in my head, “How do you know?”

“Is that not something I should know?”

“Maybe, but surely such informatin should not be known so quickly.”

“You underestimate an Inquisitor.” He answered with a chuckle, “So I thank you for coming, Victor of the Holy Grail War. May your name be muttered among mages to come as the person who released four Servants upon our world.”

“But there was one who no one knew of,” I began to ask the man before me, “Gilgamesh. I understood that by the mercy of Micheal that you received this position, so why was a Servant nat part of the War still alive?”

“Oh, him you say?” The man made a small motion with his hand, “So you desire to know where the King of Old came from?”

“Indeed.” I answered truthfully, “He claimed that he will be my enemy in time. I wish to know of him now.”

“Then you shall know, Gilgamesh was simply my Servant in the previous War after Tohsaka died to the Mage Slayer, Emyia.” The man before me grew a small smile, “He desired a place to stay while he planned for the removal of a suspicious taint in the Grail. Such a time has come to pass however, and so he finally left.”

“I… guess there is nothing wrong with that.” I admitted defeat.

“Indeed, though I knew you wished for something more correct?” HIs smile was becoming something much much worse, “You made a deal with Tohsaka to have me leave this house of God, correct?”

“H-how did you know!?”

“You must learn this now, Gilgamesh has the ability to simulate almost any magic that was invented under the guise of God.” Kotomine answered with a wave of his hand, “He was my ward, and so he had to give me something in payment.”

I felt my heart being gripped by him, “D-do you want something then?”

“I simply wish to see what you will do to follow through with her desire.” The man answered simply, “Will you try to make a deal with me as you have done so many others, find evidence on what I have done wrong to lose my rights within this city, or maybe use your authority itself.”

>Well he mentioned it, make a deal! *If you wanna present one specific go for it*

“There is plenty of evidence to get you to leave this area.” I started with a small burning in my heart, “You never cared for anyone within the territory, leaving it run rampant with creatures.”

“And pray tell, what would they be?”

I took in breath, “First of all there was the ring of Devils who were active in the city. From what I already understood they were actively trafficking humans about the place before Assassin began to clean up all of who they were. There was surely more than just that as well!”

“Interesting, so you found Devils while fighting in the Holy grail War. I am sure there are others as well.”

I gave a firm nod, “Those Vampires. He was able to bring an entire group of them into the city while only supposed to have been housing one. You should have figured out their game and have eliminated them from the start.”

The man simply gave a nod once more, seemingly unfased by my accusations.

“And lastly, the Old Man Matou. He was an enabler who seemed to have been doing it for years while Rin was still an adolescent. Because of your ignorance, he had who knows how many creatures in his basement that could terrorize the town. People died because he was not put down!”

I finished with my soul on fire, its desire to destroy this man evident. For some reason I did not put it together, but now that I though about it half of the problem plaguing this city could have been eliminated by the man before me.

And he began to clap, “Bravo Saint of Dragon Slaying, you have shown yourself able to do general reasoning. Now you must present it to Micheal or the Pope.”

“So… you are not going to leave are you?”

“You will have to force me.” He said laughingly, “Though with that you will at least force me to leave your territory, I am sure.”

I just had a crazy idea. Why don't we request the church to move Kotomine to our future church? We can say that since we don't have experience running a place yet, we could use the help of someone who does
>>
The man’s attitude was something I never really seen before, his indifference to the deaths of people almost psychopathic. Still, I felt there was more underneath the cloth of this man an I was going to find it!

“Why did you let those monsters go lose?”

“Hmm?”

“I asked why?” the fire in my chest was subsiding to a burning rumbling now, “Those creatures ran loose and terrorized people for their entertainment and profit. Do you feel no shame?”

“If you ask why, well I would say it was none of my business.” He started with a smile, “But I would be lying. Asia Argento, some people are simply born a certain way. Created by God with a personality others would find ahorent.”

The man raised his hands into the air, “I was created by God to be like this, whether for the better of mankind, we will see. It is his will I carry and follow manifested in my actions. Remember in the times of Old God sent plagues, swarms, and angels to smite the Evil. I am simply the other side of your coin, Saint of the Dragon.”

Those were bullshit words, and we both knew it. However, I could not stop but feel he believed in them to some capacity. After all, he was the Head Inquisitor.

Soon though I grew a small smile, “Then why do you not teach me?”

“What?” Kotomine’s eyes sharpened to a fine point my words passed his ears.

“Well I will be gaining a Church in the near future and need a Father to administer sermon and rights. A Father who would guide me into creating a proper flock of believers.”

“...” His face stopped for a moment before he started laughing, “You wish for me to become your tutor? A Guardian that you can keep a close eye on at all times.”

“Indeed, that would be best for both of us right?”

“Are you sure you truly wish to do such a thing.” The Father answered with a thin smile, “You would be bound to the day I die a natural death.”

“I will, if it means that I can keep a collar on you.” I claimed while facing the man with a stern glare, “You will simply allow this place to fall under the control of others once again. I cannot let that happen.”

He looked over me with an inquisitive look, as if studying my face. I felt myself almost ready to fall through, but with a small push of my will I steeled myself.

He finally let out a laugh, “You have me, I will leave without a fuss.”

“Eh?”

“You can say I prefer not to be tied down to anyone or anything.” The man answered with a mischievous smile, “So I commend you on finding what it is I do not want and using it. I suggest you use that later when you face off against the Devils of Kuoh.”

“It is a lesson I wished I did not learn.” And with that I turned around and made my way out, “Goodbye Kotomine. I hope never to meet you again.”

“I hope otherwise, as you are always a joy to talk to Saint Asia Argento.” The man laughed as I left the door.

With that I left, the sun was already setting over the horizon as I traveled back to the Tohsaka residence. People of course were either leaving from school or work, making their rounds before the day’s end.

As I traveled through the streets however, I caught a rather familiar face, “Taiga?”

The woman looked up tiredly from her walk, a pair of papers in her hand, “Oh, Asia. How has it been?” Her smile has been rather strained as she looked up.

I looked at the wad of papers. They had a rather familiar face on them, “W-what are you doing right now?”

“Oh this. Yeah, you remember Sakura right?”

“I…. do.”

The madam simply shook her head once more, “Well the Matou residence blew up recently, but during the initial investigation they could not find her. So I went looking for her. But I …..” She did not finish the sentence as she looked down upon the ground.

“There there.” I quickly grabbed the woman and brought her into an embrace, “You need to calm down a little bit okay.”

A cold shiver came from her as I held Taiga for a moment. However, it sooned started to calm down as she softened into my shoulder. After a few moments of this she slowly removed herself from my shoudler with a small frown, “Sorry about that, that was unsightly of me.”

“That is okay, I am always here to help people.”

“I guess you’re pretty good at it then.” She answered with a small smile now showing, “But she is gone now, Sakura is. I’m sorry I am telling this though.”

“No it is alright. I am sorry it happened, very much so.” I answered with my heart tugging upon itself.

“You don’t need to be, but I am sure she would have enjoyed it.” Taiga answered with a massive smile.

I grew a frown at her rebuttal, for I am the cause of it at least by proxy. However I needed to steel my heart, “So what will you be doing now?”

“Maybe I should head out for a while, go see the world.” She answered with a growing smile, “You know there was this boy I met about ten years ago. Occasionally I would send him letters just to practice my English.”

“Is that so?”

Taiga gave a soft nod, “Yeah, maybe I will go over and see him for once in a blue moon. It might be good to get away for awhile.”

“Well I hope it goes well.” I answered with a smile, “Just try your best to avoid Glasgow. I heard it was not the best place to be right now.”

“Alright.” She soon broke off from me and began to run, “Thank you! You have my number so just call some time!”

And with that she was gone.

I might be the best at my job, but times like this help me continue just a little bit. People will move forward, and the Dead will find their peace. That is the job that I will be carrying out and make sure happens.

Soon I will be leading a flock just like her. I hope I am ready for that.
