The purview of overall humanity at this time has been stable with no significant alteration amongst the human genome. This fact has been the reality for ages. Though now with the malign machinations of corporate corruption, a virulent strain with the initial purposes of evolving humanity now altered to corrode it, has now leaked across Raccoon City.

Though a select few when in contact with the "T-Virus" don't go through the regular infection process wherein the victim becomes a "Zombie". Some of the human populace possess unique genetic genome structures which coalesce with the virus to form an entirely new one within the body, doing what the virus was originally meant for instead of Zombification. We follow of one such citizen in this former paradise turned hellhole as the person must now grapple with the new mutation and the forces that wish to either exploit or outright kill them..

Also do you mean 12th right? I don't think there is a 13th month lol

Random rolling is kinda risky..

Does anyone want to do a questionnaire through Garrett's history to determine his Attributes instead? It'll leave out most of the chance of just a plain bad character.

When Thomas was in his childhood, what did he do or prioritize the most?

>Fascinated by this whole "school thing", Thomas spent frequent attention in class absorbing information he barely got on his own at home. His intellect was much ahead than the other little kids, so much so he got 3rd grade math work in kindergarten +2 Intelligence

>As soon as getting into kindergarten, Thomas had been a bad kid in the Arklay County school district. This often meant he was subject to corporal punishment that was legal in the Midwest, be he toughed through it. +2 Constitution

>When getting into the kindergarten and beyond, Thomas was adept at cultivating his new found charisma to his advantage. He had nice favor with most of his kindergarten teachers and often was a leader of a ragtag group. +2 Charisma

>Thomas was a bully and took deep reverie into his craft. He often picked on the scrawny weak kids, but his favorite was the "wise think its all about them type". Especially Malcolm, that damn smug know it all. +2 Strength

>Despite his silence, Thomas kept a wide knowledge network in his kindergarten through simple observation and being at the right place, at the right time. He even one time caught Ms Miller doing "something" with the Principle one day. This hone craft helped him on in later years. +2 Wisdom

>The 60s weren't the best time for racial tensions in the country, but Thomas broke that barrier when joined up with an African-American friend group despite being White in the lower strata area of Raccoon City. There he played basketball almost everyday in his childhood ensuring him to be very fit. +2 Dexterity

When Thomas was in his teenage years, what did he do or prioritize the most?

>Soon Thomas got into a real bad crowd in highschool. He got into an extensive amount of fights and got expelled many times. This gained his rep up though. Finally Thomas got initiated into the Latin Kings despite being Anglo-American due his toughness. +4 Constitution

>He volunteered as a hall-monitor. At first like usual he was met with disdain and a merely laughing stock since being a hall-monitor was dorky. Soon though with a carefully ad hoc high-school intelligence network, he soon became very feared with the knowledge he began to acquire. His allowance to walk the halls made garnered him chances to eavesdrop on almost anyone. +4 Wisdom

>When finally getting into the fabled high-school he heard about for years, Thomas was kick to get into the machinations of all the relevant cliques. In time he caught wind with the "popular" clique that was ontop of the high-school hierarchy. Thomas quickly outmaneuvered Brad and become the De-Facto "King" of Bigrock High-School. +4 Charisma

>Continuing on the path he did in kindergarten all the way up to middle-school, Thomas got placed in advanced classes and continued excelling in almost every subject. He soon became revered by the geek and nerd clique as he was an unstoppable student. Not even his parents knew where his sudden prodigal mind came from. +4 Intelligence

>One day Thomas decided to try out for the baseball team. Soon he discovered that his was a prime star of unimaginable skill. With this in mind Bigrock won many trophies due to him and his extremely quick reflexes. +4 Dexterity

>The wrestling team beckoned to Thomas when he first heard of it in Freshman year. The rest was all history as Thomas was just a complete titan at the sport, taking out a whole bunch of opponents and winning multiple trophies for the school. By Senior year he was full fledged student-captain with a 43 match win rate and only 2 draws. +4 Strength

When Thomas was in his young adult years, what did he do or prioritize the most?

>The Vietnam War was ramping up. In a lottery-draft Thomas was picked to sent off to the wretched place. At first he was completely virile and "stoked" to actually be in the war he was hearing so much about. If only he knew the reality. +5 Dexterity

>After burning out of college in Chicago, Thomas came back home with nothing to do and no future in mind. Eventually he got caught up with the notorious Illinois biker gang, OMC or Outlaws Motorcycle Club after his uncle had seen he needed some work. +5 Constitution

>Even though he got his parents to agree to a leap year he was told that he needed to get some form of employment or they were kicking him out. Job searching, he finally got employed at the State Farm branch in Raccoon City. Starting off as a mere Claim Specialist, he worked himself up all the way to Administrative Support Manager- the highest position in his branch. It took alot of the usual corporate intrigue though. +5 Charisma

>Feeling that he slacked off a bit in high-school, Thomas wanted to get cracking at high cerebral things again. He decided he had wanted to become a Doctor or somesort of Physician. Even though he is not quite done finishing his degree at all, he has garnered an immense amount of knowledge. +5 Intelligence

>Not wanting to be clobbered with more school work after graduating high-school with threats by his parents to attend college, Thomas decides to get in the boxing popularity craze. He finds that his wrestling from before really helped him get the gist of things and he was winning alot of matches just like his time in wrestling. +5 Strength

>This timeline choice is the same as the other State Farm decision, but instead of going the administrative route, Thomas decided to become an Insurance Fraud Investigator for the company. He solved numerous cases with his good wit and "hunches". He also had many notes on the suspicious proprietary company of Raccoon City- Umbrella. Despite the evidences he has against them, he can't make any real actions since he is small time.. +5 Wisdom

What was Thomas doing in his mid 20s to 30s; what did he do or prioritize the most?

During this time he amounted many favors with his Professors and established a lengthy social network which positioned him in advantageous situations all over campus. In due time he became one of the "popular" pupils endemic in most colleges. +7 Charisma

>Being bogged down the exorbitant loans he had to take to even get into college since his parents were too poor to pay off the initial fee, Thomas decided to use his medical knowledge to get involved with some "minor" trading of some substances. Soon that boiled over to him being adfixed in an extensive supply network. He had contacts with the Latin Kings, Outlaws, and the Bloods which brought his product for resale. +7 Constitution

>As he was going along with his degree, Thomas saw a flier for some martial arts club in the cafeteria hall one day. Deciding to join up, he soon quickly breezed through the instructions. In no time he became a brown-belt and won the club many tournaments. +7 Strength

>Despite focusing on a medical degree, Thomas decided to try his hand at the Newspaper Club for some secondary skill. With a good sense of what was going on around a big city like Chicago which was much more lively than his hometown, Thomas quickly began a venefied News mogul at his campus with all the pieces that he wrote. Each story more gripping than the last, catching up all the chaotic urban splendor of Chicago. +7 Wisdom

>During spring-break when Thomas was back in town, he took a little cadet training program with the RPD. He excelled in almost everything the program had to offer. Now things are winding down a little bit for Thomas. What has he been up to little ways before the outbreak?

>He just graducated with full masters after arduous mind-numbing years at college. He now Dr. Garrett per his gained honorification. Thomas just opened into a MD position at Raccoon General Hospital. +5 Intelligence

>Even with graduating with his masters degree, he felt a little unfulfilled. He became a Paramedic at Raccoon General Hospital and become a reliable regular amongst his team. Ever the past months he has been getting pick-ups of some hardened fighter looking guys all the time lately. From one of his pickups he learned there was a Street Fighting conglomerate in town. Deciding to earn some money on the side, Thomas becomes a regular fighter at these events. +5 Strength

>With his graduation, Thomas quickly gained employment back in Raccoon City as a chemist in the main Raccoon General Hospital. The job was decidedly boring for him and found he wasn't getting enough raises. His old buddy from Bigrock High-School noticed his chemist position and asked Thomas if he wanted to make some money on the side. From there become under the employ of his friend cooking up some substances to sell on Raccoon City drug market. +5 Constitution

>While studying in medicine, Thomas also took up a Forensic Science degree in the mix aswell. With that in mind after graduating, he become a full Investigator in the RPD and went high up in rank as he solved high profile cases. +5 Wisdom

>Thomas didn't know what to do with himself after college. He applied multiple times to the Raccoon General Hospital, but their MD roster was at capacity already so he was out of luck despite his masters. Days later the hospital called back and offered him a high managerial position in the Hospital due to his education. He found that he was very competent at his job despite thinking he would frog it all up. +5 Charisma

>Graduating and coming back home, Thomas did exactly what Irons had asked years ago and signed up as a Police Medical Dispatcher at the RPD HQ. Most of the time he was in his cubicle receiving calls, on rare occasions he treated prisoner injuries. +5 Dexterity

Thursday, September 24th, 1998

Things were really getting weird around town. Something was going around as the whole day multiple patients were coming in for treatment. Thomas was entirely overwhelmed with the overload of the requests at his dispensary. So much medicine was being breezed through that he literally had to begin batching up more right at the hospital as his stocks were running completely dry. Jimmy called in at 1:43 to see what was all the fuss about as he also had noted alot of ambulance activity and wanted to know from Thomas.

"Yeah I have no fucking idea what the hell is going on here. I've never seen anything like this before." Thomas was declaring as he was writing in some prescriptions at his desk while on the dial up phone with his drug boss. "How much can you ship from your dispensary today, can you even manage anything?" Jim asks muffled on the other end. Thomas came to believe he was probably on one of those fancy "cell phones" while driving since he could hear the tells of traffic in the background.

"I don't know if I actually can. Been scrambling with brewing up more meds with some base ingredients because too much is being used up right now." said Thomas after pushing around the current prescription paying he was done writing at, to then take another one and begin the same process over again. Jim sighed. "Damn.. That figures.. Alright we'l- wait, what the fuck?!" he had exclaimed. "Whats up Jim?" asked Thomas now more interested what was going on. What was Jim up to now? "Uh, I'll talk to you later Tommy boy. I'm on Flatline Street where the stadium is at and there are bunch of feds here.."

With that before Thomas can even say anything the phone line had ended. He hung up the dial-up back on its station at the wall and continued writing down prescription documents. After a few hours of this, Thomas began to feel very unwell. Luckily though for some reason he barely got any call ins from any of the staff for some meds. Things were probably were quieting down so Thomas quickly went to his dispensary bathroom. He was in there for a couple of minutes at the sink, completely blind sided by the sudden sickness he felt. Thomas determined he probably caught it from all the patients in here lately or one of his co-workers. Soon he was bawling at the sink, splashing water in his face and began throwing up at the toilet... Thats when the change for Thomas Garrett began. One that would change him forever..

>The pain of the transformation knocked him straight out cold at the dispensary bathroom floor. When he awoke he found that his skin turned completely grey and his eyes turned completely red. The aching pain all throughout his body was gone though.. Until he noticed he couldn't seem to register pain at all.. (T-Infected) |DEFAULT|

>All at once the entirety of Thomas' body began painfully folding and unfolding in on itself. He blacked out for 6 seconds from the pain and when he woke up collapsed over the sink looking up to the mirror, Thomas had found his entire body became plant-like. His skin were completely green, had purple eyes, vines all over his body, and his hands became more claw-like. (T-Plant Strain) |SCOUT|

>The sudden transformation was painful for him in the dispensary bathroom as he began mutating at a rapid pace. His skin compacted and crackled until it became scaled. The medical shoes he wore broke apart as his feet became morphed painfully to become reptilian with only three digits. Looking up into the mirror as he was changing, his pupils turned slitted like any other reptile and his tongue horrendously thinned into a forked tongue. The sink sides cracked alittle as his gripped hands became Claws which caused fissures in the porcelain. (T-Hunter Strain) |FAST|

>As if opening a sealed box with waiting air on the inside of it, the entirety of Thomas' skin become feathered brown instantaneously. Next his shoes broke apart as his feet became bird-like with only three digits and one toe at the very back of his new heel. After that his back writhed in horrible pain as giant wings sprouted from his back, ripping through the back of his dress shirt and labcoat. Looking up into the mirror after a bout of trying to catch his breath, he found that his eyes became slitted and it was green. (T-Wing Strain) |TOUGH|

>At first Thomas only felt a small dull pain as he watched with horror in the mirror as his skin was turning green before his very eyes. Then the pain became moderate after gills formed up at his neck. He thought the extent of the damage wasn't big until his new developed back Tentacles spouted painfully out his back, destroying the upper portion of his clothes completely. He fazed in and out of consciousness clutching his head from that ordeal. When Thomas snapped he looked up to find that he had become more handsome and captive with his bright-gold yellow eyes. His Tentacles also automatically moved in a way that was pleasing to the eyes. (TCA Strain) |Charismatic|

>A massive headache struck Thomas with no mercy at all. He felt a wave of aphrodisiac calm and extreme pain simultaneously in his head. Soon he passed out as he could no long handle it at all. When he awoke and dragged himself back to his feet, Thomas had found that he seemed more "focused" than he ever was in his life. Rubbing his forehead he had immediately noticed that he grew a set of pronounced head ridges. Quickly looking up at the mirror in shock, he was completely blind sided finding himself turned entire blue with scaly-black spots all over his body. His eyes had also had become entirely red. (T-INE Strain) |Smart|

(cont'd)
>>
>>4104336

>Without anytime to scream or being allotted a chance to register the pain, Thomas' entire left arm became extremely big. After that it painfully morphed until it was reddish-black and his left hand had become a giant claw. His nails at his left hand turned jagged and long with the transformation, perfect for cleaving and wrecking. His left clothes sleeve was completely destroyed after this transformation. After that his entire body morphed up until he had become 6"4, well up from his former 5"9 height. His hair had fallen out and his skin become light grey. Looking into the mirror he had also realized that his eyes became colorless and almost clear. (T-Despot Strain) |STRONG|

Finally someone replied! I thought I got reversed Quest abandoned, lol

He couldn't believe what he was seeing in the mirror. What was going on? How could such a thing be possible? Why were his eyes pure red and how could he see with no pupil or iris? The entire orbs were just crimson red... Not only that his skin was as noted before pitch grey.. Beside these new.. "changes".. He seemed fine. Rubbing his head in confusion Thomas accidently put too much force on the left side of the sink, slightly crushing it with his newfound anomalous strength.'The fuck!?' he thought as he backed away. 'Jesus, what the
hell is happening today?
'

Thomas took a quick sense of his surroundings after the disorientation of his sudden transformation. Currently he was in the Dispensary Bathroom of his Chemistry Office. The room is small with the slightly broken sink with Thomas' doing, the toilet he was keeling over, and a cabinet to the far side of bottom right of the room.

What does Thomas do?

>Wash face a little and head back into Office
>Use toilet
>Check the cabinet, think I forgot a few stuff in there
>Attempt to use pager and contact Jim.

"Hey, Jim, I seem to have acquired superstrength. I'm 90% sure it's contagious, so don't come over. Only visual differences seem to be that my skin is grey and my eyes are entirely red. Kept my hair, got all my fingers and toes. Probably might want to send those feds over."
>>
>Check the cabinet think I forgot a few stuff in there
>Attempt to use pager and contact Jim.
>>
>>4104960

'Shit shit shit.. What is going on right about now' Thomas mulls over to himself as he reproaches the sink again, this time lightly turning on the 'cold' facet knob and began briskly washing his face. His skin was way tougher than ever before his normal self and the coldness barely fazed him. Curious Thomas turned down the cold facet knob all the way down, then turned on the heat facet knob. With some hesitation he put his hand under the steaming water. 'What is this?' the Chemist though as what would've sent him howling in pain did absolutely nothing to him. Thomas watched the spectacle for a few whole minutes, then withdrew his hand to absorb that his skin was skill the same eerie grey.

Shaking his head in disbelief Thomas quickly nabs his two-way pager from his Labcoat pocket. Hopefully Jim will actually pick up this time. Pressing the "sender" button Thomas spoke up into the pager. "Hey, Jim, I seem to have acquired superstrength. I'm 90% sure it's contagious, so d-" suddenly he heard Jim gasping in total unmitigated fear on the other end as he heard the distinctive receiver signal buzz off.

"Fuck! Thomas shit is getting crazy here! The fucking jukes of this shitty town are all going crazy! Something isn't right and I'm trapped in my car, people are killing eachother out here!"

"Whoa boss, whats the fucking deal!?.. Hello? Hello! Jim!" he screamed into the pager. Shit, what the hell was going on? Suddenly he heard frantic knocking outside the Dispensary Bathroom. It presumably was at his dispensary desk in the office as the tapping ramped on.

>Check cabinet, might need to see what I forgot in here
>Go check who is at the counter in the Office
>Use pager still and check the rest of the crew, see who still is kicking

Before he even thought about checking who was knocking at his desk Thomas looked back down at his pager. Something isn't right. He knew Jim since high-school and as been working with him for awhile. He never loses his cool ever. Thomas went down the digital list on his pager, mostly a contact network with the rest of the "crew"...

>Page at Digson, the crew's mule. He's on the field alot and might know more than Jim right now. He's always on the move.

>Page at Cindy. She's our mole in the RPD. Not really reliable because of her allegiance with the cops, but she pulls through.

>Page at Billy. Our truck driver. He moves product something and also smuggles in other goods for us to sell.

>Page at Bricks. He moved into Raccoon City from Chicago after his finishing his sentence due to murder. Acts as the crew Head of Security, former crip.

>Call miscellaneous member: Jim's crew is a wide force in the black market in Raccoon City. Thomas can call a miscellaneous member who might have some general info, but nothing really special.
>>
>>4105029
>Page at Digson, the crew's mule. He's on the field alot and might know more than Jim right now. He's always on the move.
>>
Can we call multiple? Or just one?
>>
>>4105039

You can call multiple actions. Thomas is just doing his Page first. The cabinet check is queued.

>>4105036

Going up and down the list of the pager, Thomas had finally landed on the contact who would probably be the most useful. He started a "send" and ask what the ground situation was in Raccoon. He waited for a couple of seconds before he heard the received ping go off. A couple of static chatter came on the other end before he heard Digson's voice. "Jim things are completely forked over Town. Something is wrong with the people. They are acting like zombies.. No scratch that! These are essentially zombies!" Thomas could hear alot of running on the receive message, presumably Digson was running. "Don't know about you but the rest of us are heading to base. Bricks and some of his men are going to secure the boss, 'parently he's trapped in the chaos at Flatline." With that the message had ending. Thomas thought over the words of Digson.. 'Zombies..?' looking at his skin then looking up to see his reflection again, he grimaced. 'The boy has to be getting off the fucking supply'

Pocketing his pager in his Labcoat, Thomas turned around and walked to where the cabinet was at the back bottom of the bathroom. Opening it he found these items.

Seeing that medicine right about now is pretty scarce right of now, Thomas noted it was a good idea to keep a good stock on hand. Taking the bundle of medicines and stuffing them in his Labcoat the Chemist went up to the bathroom door. He hadn't forgotten the tapping on his desk outside the this room, so he opened the bathroom door slowly.

His office by itself seemed unmarred. His shelves previously filled with multiple medicines were out of stock still as when this crisis began. A few supply boxes were strewn about, but probably full of forgotten things he didn't care about. The write-up desk was normal still stacked up with a whole bunch of documents Thomas was working on.. Now the dispensary desk where he provides medicine at was bloody. Very bloody.

Something definitely is right. Whatever chaos is happening outside probably has reached the Hospital as of now. It was already a matter of time with the sheer amount of influx of people coming in and out the ER. Slowly Thomas walked into his office. He checked a few boxes but most of it was filled with junk. The shelves were bare too. The only things of use that were found was a medical mask, a water bottle, and a flash light.

Thomas grabbed the flash-light and stuff it in his pocket. He then nabbed the mask dawning it on immediately. Peering at the bottle, he summarized that his Labcoat pockets were getting too cumbersome despite being quite large deciding to leave it. After that Thomas went over to his write-up desk to the left side of the room. Picking up the phone from its platform he dialed the number for security.

Weeeeeeew

No answer? What could possibly going on right now?

Suddenly Thomas heard a loud scream fill the hall outside the Dispensary. Turning around just in time he had seen a woman, most-likely a patient due to the casual clothes she wore run from outside the dispensary desk window... That's when he saw the "thing".. It moved quadruped in an entirely alien maneuver and he could see from a glimpse that it was just entirely flesh. Its fresh shiny looking head bore the entirety of its brain for view. The thing looked like it was skinned alive, but somehow still moving. The beast or whatever it was chased the woman down the hall until Thomas could no longer see the two in movement anymore. Though their footsteps were still loud and the girl was still blaring in absolute fear.

Now Thomas was at an impasse. He had no idea on how to comprehend what he had just seen. Not only that it looked extremely dangerous. But no.. He couldn't just leave that lady to die, it would've weighed him on him for a long time. Thomas decided that he would follow the beast in its hunt with a pursuit that he hoped was quiet enough. Opening the door outside the Dispensary Office, Thomas threaded after the chase turning right from his office. This chase within a chase carried on for a few minutes before he sighted a busted down men's restroom door with the said object battered with jagged scratch and force marks.

Entering the restroom Thomas could see the woman crying in her in a semi-fetal position against the wall as the thing approached her. After Thomas had seen this thing up close, he had wished he never had seen it in such detail.

The creature as he noted when he first caught a mere glimpse of it was emaciated, but bulky simultaneously somehow. His muscle with no sign of skin tissue was bare, with the full complement of the exposed brain matter from before. The aroma of the creature was horrendous and Thomas could smell the blood of its previous victims presumably around its maw area..

Thomas{Attack Roll: 1d20 (10) +6 Attack Bonus vs 16 Def = Hit}

Remembering his time in wrestling in high-school, Thomas got in a steadied stance with his newly acquired stall, pummeling down on the rectangular bludgeon across its face. The sheer strength behind the attack sends the it fleeing in a bloody heap, crashing into the Restroom wall. (1d6 (4) + 5 Str = 9)

Well.. That was interesting.. The lady who Thomas just saved viewed the disgusting heap indented in the wall with horror, then she slowly turned toward where he stood at and continued to yell. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" she blithered at seeing Thomas' unnatural greyskin and blaring red eyes.

He growled in annoyance at the woman. How could she blather such a thing at her savior? Without him she would've been chow-now for the thing he competently just put down. Shaking his head and give her the middle finger with his free left hand, Thomas briskly jogs out the Restroom to leave the woman to her fate alone.

Thomas continued to jog until he was finally outside his Dispensary Office. Suddenly a bunch of the "Zombies" he heard so much about from Digson on Page way before seemed to have finally shown up at the opposite side of the hall. Due to what he believes to be due to his "mutation" though, the Zombies have seem to have absolutely no interest in him. Even when he walked up to one of them waving his left hand right in the face of one of them, Thomas was completely ignored by this small band of 4 Zombies. Giving them a more detailed look over they had seemed to be patients who got turned, not any of his co-workers or the security force.'

Well it was good to know he wouldn't be accosted as much. He walked a little ways down the hall until he was finally out the wing that housed his Dispensary Office and into minor common area. It was full of more Zombies.. This time they were feasting on two nurses he used to flirt with. Shit, he forgot their names. The common room beside the Zombie group chowing down on the two nurses and ignoring Thomas was full of unclaimed items- generally due to the all the chaos probably happening in the Hospital now.

What does Thomas do now?

>Search the common room for anything useful
>Wait.. Try and talk to a "Zombie" in the room right now not feeding

The refuse around the room from all the commotion that probably took place before he even arrived was just too much. Whenever he thought he found something substantial, it just turned out to be a frivolous trinket item. Generally though he should've been too surprised anyway, he doubted weapons would just be lying around in one of the common rooms.

Currently the pack of Zombies finished eating down the first blonde nurse, then they moved onto the red-head. Shaking his head in disgust and sorrow, Thomas mulls over his next option.

>Search the common room for general items
>Head to the Hospital Lobby and see what exactly is going on
>Search the body of the blonde nurse now that her body is left unattended
>Attempt to speak with a Zombie in the room, one not presumably munching on the final nurse corpse as of now

Now that he's given up looking for a better weapon, Thomas delves around the rummage of the common room. Like before when he was looking for a replacement weapon, he just found a bunch of useless baubles about the room. Luckily though he found a few a box of matches and a necklace of some-sort. While he quickly pocketed the matchbox in his pants pocket Thomas gave the necklace a good look. The center piece had a strange artistic design. The lace of the necklace itself was chalk filled with a unique design he's never seen in jewelry before. This might fetch a high price somewhere he thought as stuffing it in his pocket.

Just about when he was going to head out the room finally a group of men came into the room, gathering the attention of Thomas and the Zombies who found more interest in the "live" meat than the one they were mawing on now. The men were 3 in number. 1 had a shotgun, another had a hunting rifle, and the last one carried a cleaver. They all wore bandannas and semi-improved armor... These must be looters..

Soon the rifleman and the shot-gunner immediately open a barrage at the Zombies hunched over the red-head nurse at the side of the room while the melee wielding one stayed at their side. Like Thomas himself, whatever this sickness did made the Zombies very formidable to the ballistic exchange. The slugs from the shot-gunner hammered away at the main bulk of the Zombie group though.

What does Thomas do?

>Go back to where Thomas came from and find another way to the Lobby
>Try and hide while the 3 Looters are distracted shooting at the current Infected in the room

Even with the heightened durability Thomas surmised he shares with the other "lesser" Infected, there is no way he can take on two gunmen. Somehow at that moment, Thomas was reminded of one of the exercises he did at the RPD program years ago. Controlling his overall weight while keeping low at the sametime, Thomas managed to completely bolt out the room undetected by the three Looters firefighting down the Zombies in the common room. Since he was tireless he kept running until he was back at the end of the hall past his Dispensary Office where he originally followed that beast-thing into the Restroom. Beside the hall to that Restroom area, there were 2 other corridors that he knew since he worked here: One that leads down to the Doctor's station and another that leads to the maintenance chamber.

>Go to the Doctors Station

Turning left then down, Thomas does a light jog toward the Maintenance Chamber. The stall still in his hand juggles at his right side, periodic bumping against the floor. With a few minutes of jogging down the corridor he fully well remembered that it was this long, he made it toward the Maintenance Chamber doors. Walking up to the left door pushed it a few times to find it locked. Shit. Scratching his comb-over a little in befuddlement, Thomas decides to take this time and try to make contact with one of the crew.

First it sent a few messages to Digson. He didn't get a full-on voice receiver message, but a few texts popped on the paper screen. Currently Digson and couple of our guys were holed up in a shootout with a couple of strange paramilitary guys, specifically not Army since they had strange uniforms.

Being alarmed at that, he then tried to send a few pings to Brick. To his surprise at the 3rd ping, Bricks actually sent a message. "Listen here Chem nigga, right now we're delivering the boss to the base. Now I don't know if you even know shit is goin' down, but all of these niggas are wildin' out right now. We barely got da boss out of Flatline street, where the hell you at 'cuz?"

Thank god Bricks picked up. Thomas quickly pounded the "send" button and spoke up. "Bricks, oh thank god! I'm at the Hospital still. I've already been know about shit hitting the fan. Right now I'm trapped and really screwed with the Hospital in chaos right about now. Most of my legit co-workers are dead and the power is dying in this place!" after a small bout of radio static, Bricks piped up. "Aii, you want me to send a couple guys to pick you up? What'cha want to do?"

>No its too risky to send anyone here. This place is crawling with Infected and Looters. We need to save manpower.
>Send a group to secure me quickly. Meanwhile I'll nab as much medicine and medical supplies as I can

Thinking for a moment Thomas gives a response, holding the "send" button on the Pager while giving his surroundings a quick look over. ".. Have a couple guys wait for me in the park by the Hospital. I'll be there shortly.." while still holding on to the "send" button he didn't say anything letting the static drag on before he could lay what he had to say down... "..Also I've changed a bit... Look, all you need to know is tell the guys your sending to watch out for me, I'll be wearing a medical mask.. By the way, I've gotten an allergic reaction lately.. I've become grey and my eyes are really bloody. After letting go of "send" surprisingly Thomas got a response almost immediately. "Aii bet. The rest of the fools have made it to da bando. Imma send a few 'cuz and tell'em to lean in the park like you said. Its Patterson Park, right?" tapping the "send" button again Thomas answers swift. "Yes, the one by the main hospital, the one I've said before already."

He waited for Bricks to respond with any affirmative, but he deducted that the silence on the other was Bricks own form of affirmation.. Rubbing his head in annoyance Thomas looked up to the locked Maintenance Chamber doors.

>This hall has some other rooms he has never been too before, lets check'em out
>Try and figure out way the Maintenance Chamber doors are locked
>Attempt to smash the doors open [DC 8]
>Back track to the Doctors Station, maybe he'll find something useful in there
>Write-In

Beside the main Maintenance Chamber doors at the end of the hall, on Thomas' left were two doors and at his right was one door. He went to his left side first and checked the closest door. It just was a custodial closet full of cleaning supplies, nothing of real worth. Thomas went deeper into the closet anyway to see if the key to open the door was even in here. No luck. Leaving the closet and closing the door, he went to the next door. This lead to an actual room this time, somewhere where he's never been to. It seems to be a medium sized room full of crates. On the side wall would a bunch of lockers were situated. Storage room?

Shaking his head after he was done peering into that room, Thomas saunters over to the other door on the right side of the hall. Opening the door with the common peer he did with the other two rooms, Thomas comes to discover this room is full of desktop computers. Must be somesort of impromptu computer.. but why are the way out in this custodial section of the Hospital?

>Check Store Room more indepthly

(Just woke up)

Thomas decided that he'll be better to check the Store Room for anything important before solving the Maintenance Chamber door problem. Entering the room he enters the room and begins trifling through it for anything useful.

What does Thomas prioritize looking for?

>Miscellaneous items
>Somesort of weapon
>Check the lockers
>Write-In

(Do you guys want to make your own characters? Its boring with only one PC since DnD quests are usually party based. I'm making this a multiplayer quest now.)

>Miscellaneous items
what is character creation going to be like? Same as it was?
>>
>>4105845
>Some sort of weapon
>>
>>4105870

(Same as before, but much more faster this time with an abridged version of creation)
>>
>>4105878
If you think you can handle that, I'd give it a try.

This wasn't a good day for Keith at all. He just was called in to fix a few equipment in the Hospital, then things started going belly up from there when he suddenly had seen two security officers begin chowing down on a kid right infront of him. Luckily he barricaded himself in this maintenance room.. He had heard some talking outside the room he was in now, but he tried to ignore it. He wasn't feeling too good.. Keith clasped his head in delirium as he felt really unwell all of a sudden, leaning against the wall hard with extremely deteriorating health.

A mind-shattering headache suddenly strikes Keith with full force. He screams in a loud pain that alerts Thomas all the way in the Storage Room. His flesh molds and blackens in patterns across his body, his forehead spouts large ridges that painfully convex outward, and his skin takes on an unnatural blue hue making it for all intents and purposes pure blue. After the ordeal Keith lays against a wall panting heavily at the unsanctioned morph he just went through.

Shouldering off the pain he just experienced with the breather he took against the wall, Keith shakily stood up. He still ached, but it now the pain was dull. Immediately he had noticed that his thinking process was more focused than before.. Like a stream poured over him and washed away all the grime that was in his head before. What the hell just happened to him? Next in this crazy debacle, Keith could suddenly have a vague 'sense' that indeed, someone was outside the Maintenance Chamber room on the other side. Somehow the Engineer could FEEL his mind somehow..

Stopping his search, Thomas went outside the Storage Room and up to the chamber doors of the Maintenance Chamber. "Hello? Anyone in there?" while he knocked on the door.

>What does Keith do?
>>
(Also if anyone wants to make their own character you can still do so now)
>>
>>4106009
Keith quickly looks around for a weapon or something to protect himself with before walking towards the door and answering the voice "Yes I'm in here. My name's Keith I was supposed to fix some equipment before everyone started eating each other. Are there any infected out there? I don't want to have to fight anything if I open the door. And I'd rather not talk through a door."

While they might not be much, Keith has his Crowbar or Wrench to use in a pinch if he needs stave off anything. Hearing Thomas outside the door, Keith responds to the man outside the Maintenance Chamber. "Yes I'm in here. My name's Keith I was supposed to fix some equipment before everyone started eating each other. Are there any infected out there? I don't want to have to fight anything if I open the door. And I'd rather not talk through a door."

Thomas hesitates. "..Well its just me out here. I'm not "infected" so to speak, but I'm a little worse for ware... Can you let me in? The other way to the Lobby is stuffed with some chaos so I ain't going that way. The room your in leads to an alternate path."

That was right Keith had thought. This room had four different pathways and he remembered the particular one he ran into here before he chained up all the doors so nothing could follow him in after he ran from the Break Room.

>What does Keith do?
>>
>>4106025
Keith goes to open the door but before he does he gives a warning to him about his appearnce than opens it and steps back to let him in
>>
>>4106040

Tentatively Keith ambles toward the door. As he got to untying the chains he embroiled over the door bars Keith spoke beyond the doors to Thomas. "Just so you know..I think I caught whatever has been going around lately. Don't freak out when you see me" after he finished up unbinding the door. 'So same predicament as me then? That'll lessen the chance of trying to explain myself' waiting for the door to open. Keith pushed the door outward enough where it could hang open for awhile so he could step back defensively from the stranger he was looking at. He had greyskin like the Infected maniacs he had seen before and full on red eyes.. but this one seemed more lucid than the other ones, not mindless. It also helped that he was coherent and could talk.

Thomas took in Keith's deep blue skin and red slitted eyes with surprise, finding his appearance more bizarre than his own with the forehead ridges and black sports that pockmarked Keith's body.

[Beside the base mutations that came from the virus, what does Keith look like?]

>Appearance:
>>
>>4106052
Tall around 6ft 1, somewhat gangly with long arms and legs, thin around 155 pounds with some slight muscle, shaggy dirty blond hair with light freckles on his face, with a hawkish angular face
>>
>>4106064

Apprehension rose between the two strangers for a while. Both of them seem to indeed be in the same predicament in terms of the "change" brought on by the virus tearing through the town. Before the left chamber door began to close, Thomas walked in the room. Silence permeated the area for a bit before they began chatting with eachother. Generally they listed off what lead up to this point and what they've both had seen thus far in the Hospital. The conclusion was that the hospital was pretty fucked over and the whole town is probably in anarchy right about now. They needed a safe place to hold over. "Hey I got a place with a group of mine. A safehouse base. You should come with me if you have nowhere else to go."

[How does Keith respond?]

Keith responds "Sure, but will we be okay out there looking like this?
