Last week you were Loanstar, The Exchange Hero, patrolling and training with Edgeshot and another hero in-training going by Trickshot.

Last night, you were just the best older cousin you could be, glaring at your Momma for her habits and playing card games with your little cousin and your robot until the former dozed off, putting an end to his playtime, forcing you to hand him over to your uncle Rik so he could put him to bed.

And today, as you get dressed for the day in your much missed uniform, you are Ushi Walker, the half-japanese/half-american wielder of the mighty quirk “Everything is Bigger in Texas", one of U.A. High's first year students,Class 1-A Vice President and Champion of this year's Sports Festival's Freshman Tournament.

The thigh high socks are getting a bit tight, but a tap with your quirk quickly amends it.

Striking a pose in front of your mirror, you roll your sleeves up and nod, pretty happy with your progress so far. It doesn't look like it while you are covered, but you are pretty sure you could beat up anyone short of Kirishima or Sato.

Deku too, but he beats up himself without any help.

"Okay, that's a bit mean…" You mutter, giggling a bit. "Hope he's doin' better now."

While your visit to the hospital didn't go quite like you wanted it to, you were still glad to see that neither him nor the other boys were stabbed too badly.

You aren't sure if you are okay with how normal near-death experiences are starting to feel.

Still you smile as you sneak downstairs, excited to see your friends soon and planning to get to school early, trying to not wake up anyone else in the house and leaving with no other breakfast but a thick slice of texas toast.

With your quirk, that's practically unlimited bread, and what else could you possibly need?

A good thing about trying to get to class early is that the streets and trains aren't as full as they are during rush hours, allowing you to ride in a normal cart without having to worry about wayward hands or worse.

>"Not that I agree with him, but the man knew what he was doing." You hear someone, a man, say somewhere in the train.

>"Yeah, I mean no… Well, he did kind of have a point, ya' know?" Another man replies. "Not with the purge stuff, but any tramp in spandex can get a licence, shake her ass and get millions in marketing."

>"It's a great ass though." The first says, making you grimace.
There was not a single moment of that whole conversation that you wanted to remember.

If anything, it made you even more glad when you got to your stop and could get the heck out of dodge, running to the great arch that makes up the school's entrance.

...And meeting one of your friends!

The other american at UA, your oldest friend Pony Tsunotori, seems to have gotten to school early as well.
>>
She doesn't look like she's doing too well though. While she normally bounces and clops with enthusiasm and a smile, right now she's more like hobbling towards the entrance with grit and determination, holding an orange tube with a white cap in her hand.

You tilt your head an observe her walk, no, hobble for a few more seconds, wondering what to do. You can't just walk past an ailing gal without trying to lend a hand, much less one of your friends, but you don't want to go and imply she deserves it or anything on accident.

You are... kind of prone to hurting people with your words, something you are trying your best to change.

In the end, you decide to approach her and be friendly.

After all, she'd tell you if it's something you can help with, right?

"Howdy sugarcube! How did yer internship treat ya? Ah recall somethin' bout it runnin' you ragged?" You tell her as you walk up to her, slowing your stride to walk by her side.

>"<WHA-!?>" She lets out, seemingly caught unawares. She then takes a second to hold her chest and breathe deeply. "<Oh, hey there Ushi!... You have no idea…>"

You just look at her with an eyebrow raised, then wave your hand in her general direction.

"< Well, seein' ya like that… Ah reckon Ah have a pretty good idea. You are looking a bit less like a Mane 'n Tail ad and more like an Elmer's.>" You joke, managing to pull a smile out of her.

>"<Yeah. I saw the name on the letter and just jumped at the chance, didn't think about it.>" Your equine pal tells you, wincing with her next step. "<...She didn't think 'bout me much either.>"

"<She?>" You say, grabbing onto that, hoping to pry more information without pushing.

>"<Yeppers. I got to go with Mirko.>" She says, nodding solemnly. "<She's… intense. Like, really intense. Too intense for me.>"

"<I think I get->" You try to comment, but she doesn't allow you, continuing to talk.

>"<Like, crazy intense.>" She continues, her breathing getting faster. "<Like… Like… It hurt. It still hurts.">

"<...Are you okay, sugarcube?>" You ask, knowing the answer already, but giving her the choice to tell or not.

>"<...Yeah!>" She says, taking a deep breath and stomping a hoof on the ground, then wincing. "<Owie… It's just that I really wasn't ready for that kind of stuff. I'm pretty sure I tore or sprained something every other day. I… I cracked my hooves! Both of them! And she told me to suck it up! We couldn't ever stop!>"

"That sounds… painful." You say. Not having any yourself, you don't really know how damaging your hooves would feel like, but it can't be good.
>>
>"<I did it though!>" She says, holding up the tube she was holding and popping the cap open, allowing you to see that it was pills, and that it seems to be sealed, if the aluminum-looking seal is anything to go by. "<I did everything! Even sucking it up until I got back to school! How's that for a second pick?!>"

...At least she's starting to look excited?

>"Good morning." You then hear from behind you, recognizing the voice of another one of your friends, Shoto's. "We should get to the classroom."

"Howdy sugah! Yer early too!" You greet him back as he comes walks close to you…

...And starts walking between you and Pony, grabbing your arm and starting to pull you away from her.

"<What in tarnation?>" You ask, stumbling forward, having failed to foresee this and brace yourself.

>"Once it might be a mistake, but not twice." He says, as if that explained anything. "She is pushing pushing pills on you again, is she not?"

>"I'm here! And I'm not!" Pony announces in her slurred japanese.

>"What is that in the bottle?" He asks, still holding on to your arm.

>"Uhm… Ketamine!" She answers, looking rather mad.

Shoto, for his part, just stares at you, as if his point was already proven.

>"You just don't get it. Can't!" Pony continues, grabbing your other arm and tugging too. "It's just pain pills for us! We work different! Don't butt in!"

And you? You don't know what the fuck just happened.

>What do you do?

>[Well, you know your and your's momma's livers are incredibly strong, and Pony's seems to be as well… She's right, he should stay in his lane. "Settle down sugah, ya don't know whatcha talkin' bout." (Face, 2d10)]

"Funny how things work out so well! Ah was just-a-bout to escort mah dear FRIEND, Pony, yo get some help because I just learned she's is more INJURED than I can even understand, when just-so-happens, mah other dear FRIEND, Shoto, who JUST got out of the hospital, approaches with a concern about mah dear injured friend that could be quite a worry for me as well! And wouldn't you know it, ITS a concern that could be likely be answered by the MOST QUALIFIED person this side of the Pacific: Recovery Girl. SO, lets ALL go to the nurses's office, we can all get a little help with our collective problems and maybe even learn a little mutant biology! Lets go!

You look at both of your friends holding you in place.

Well, pulling you in different directions, but neither seems to be trying too hard. Were it you on their place you would have already dragged both of them to wherever you wanted to go.

However, you're not the one pulling, but the one in the middle, trying to figure out what to do and say to not hurt the friend sharing her woes nor the friend worried for your safety.

After a second of contemplation, you think you got it, shaking both of them off your arms.

"Well, Ah’m sure it’s all kosher as a pickle sugah." You tell them both in japanese before focusing on your gal pal, extending your hand and motion. "Pony, you remembered to bring yer prescription to show to the nurse, right hun? Don’t wantcha gettin’ in trouble."

For a moment, the ridiculously horny girl looks offended that you even asked, visibly taken aback by your question. The look of surprise and hurt almost makes you break down and start apologizing, but you stick to the plan.

"Better keep it at hand, we need to get those hoovesies of yours to Recovery Girl and Ah don't want us to be late for class because you need to empty the saddle and dig for it!" You tell her throwing an arm around her neck in a one armed hug. "Heck, Ah'm VP, Ah gotta be back at the classroom before Mr. Aizawa gets there!"

>"Oh, right, right!" She says, patting her uniform all over, frantically digging into her pockets. "It's here, somewhere! Aw, come on can't go around, like, bothering others… Here!"

You can't exactly tell what the hell the slip of paper she shows you says, only that there's a large Rx on the corner.

Seems legit.

With that confirmed, you shoot Shoto a knowing look. Not an I told you so but a go along, I got this instead, to which he replies with a side glance, clearly intending to go to the classroom.

A lot can be told with a glance, if you know each other as well as you two do.

"Keep it at hand sugacube, Ah'll make sure you get them cracks looked at post haste." You say, lifting her in a fireman's carry before she can react, but giving her a second to adjust her skirt before starting to jog.
>>
"See ya in a bit, sugar!" You say to Shoto as you run past him, your semi-equine load not bothering you in the slightest.

>"Eep!" she squeaks, kicking a bit as she settles into place. "...Uh. Never rid."

"Come again <sugahcube>?" You ask her, making a conscious effort to go around Snipe's morning Hall Patrol. You don't want to get caught and end in detention again.

>"Always give rides, you know? Never carried." She clarifies, her japanese still needing some work but getting better. "Is nice… Thanks you."

"Don't sweat it." You tell her. It's literally a non-issue for you. She's not light, but it's not like your rosy-cheeked classmate, being more a firm, compact weight, easier to lug around.

>"For standing up too for me too." She continues, distracting you a bit. "We got to stay close
close, all of us."

Not being sure how to respond, you don't.

The good part of always drawing attention, is that you don't seem to draw any extra attention from the other early arrivals as you make your way to Recovery Girl's main infirmary, making it a short trip.

After getting to the infirmary's door, you lower your friend down and let her lean against the wall.

It's not that you don't care about your friend, but you have a lot more friends to meet up with!

"Feel better soon, okay? Ah wanna swap notes once ‘yer feelin’ up to showin’ off ‘yer moves. Ah learned one o’ them jutsus!” You tell her, patting her head in the slightly condescending way you think an older sister would. You are pretty sure you are like a month older, but that's still older.

>"A bit dizzy maybe but sure!" She say, her tail wagging in that not-so-horsey way it does.

You turn around and leave, getting to the corner before she realizes what you said.

>"Wait, jutsus! You went with ninjas!? Tell me everything! Was it Edgeshot? Is he… what's the word… Dram… Drea… Hot up close!?" She ask, stars in her eyes.

It seems that hit a nerve, of the fangirl variety.

"Ah'll tell you at lunch!" You tell her, scampering off and giggling at her desperate pleads for gossip you can hear behind you.

That's something nice to look forwards to.

Back at the huge door to Classroom 1-A, you take a second to press your hand against the door and take a deep breath before sliding it open with vigor.

"Howdy every-!" Is all you manage to say before the recognizable airblast of an explosion blows your hair straight to your right, leaving it paralel to your shoulders for an instant.

>"OH! HEY-… PFF, DAMN IT MAN! YOU JUST MISSED IT!" Kirishima yells, quirk active and slamming his fist on the table, literally whizzing between breaths as he laughs.

Sero doesn't seem to be doing much better, bent forwards and holding his midsection as he laughs.

In front of them both, Bakugo looks murderously mad with his bag on his shoulder.

"...one!" You finish, seeing nothing out of the ordinary.

Scanning the classroom, you can see that most of the class is here already, everyone hanging in small groups with those closer to them.

Kyoka, Mina and Tsuyu seem to be chatting around the latter's desk, while Ochaco seems to be pacing around the room, her movements strangely fluid. Denki and Mineta are talking over the latter's desk and Momo seems to be trying to overhear what Deku, Iida and Shoto are talking about on your heterochromatic friend's part of the room.

As it's often the case, Momo waves at you when she sees you, holding a couple sheets of paper.

With students scattered in small groups, a gal seemingly trying to beat down the wind and a boy beating another with a third, it's hard to believe the class can work together as you know you can, but you like it that way. There's no odd one out here.

You are all equally weird, in a sense.

That, and you know that everyone will scatter and return to their seats the moment it Mr. Aizawa shows up at the door.

Thus, you walk over to your class president and friend with a smile on your face, greeting the one that waved at you.

"Howdy! Ah reckon it wouldn't be U.A. if we weren't gonna do somethin' exciting right away… So, what exactly is the plan for the day, boss?" You tell her, going around her and peeking over her shoulder at the papers, pushing against her back a bit and placing your chin on her shoulder.

As expected, it looks to be the week's schedule for your Homeroom duties as class government.

>"Good morning Ushi!" She greets you with a smile before raising the papers a bit to let you have a better look. "It seems to be more of what we've come to expect for us this week, scheduling cleaning duties and the like but…"

"But?" You ask looking at the rest of the sheet in her hands. "Lemme see… Not much info on the classes themselves... Oh…"

>"Strange, isn't it?" She asks, pointing at the same three bits of text that caught your attention. "We have to 'Check if anyone suffers from airsickness and send those who do to the infirmary' tomorrow and 'Remind everyone that the slips must be handed over' the day after… I wonder what all of that means."

"Ooh… Maybe a field trip?" You ask, unsure if you should be excited or worried for your life.

>"So soon after the internships? I don't think so." The taller girl replies, shaking her head and brushing her cheek against yours. "We should reign in the class before Mr. Aizawa gets here, it's about time. Maybe he'll tell us if we ask?"

She's got a point… Knowing your homeroom teacher, and thus the start of the class day is near, you weight your options.

>What do you do?

Our class needs to be made aware of the dangers of ManBearPig!

Also, whatever discussions we need to have with Shoto, Ochaco and whoever else will probably need more time than we have before class starts up. Maybe Ushi can catch them before lunch so we can get a more private discussion.

While Mr. Aizawa isn't quite there yet, probably making the most out of every last second he can sleep for before work, you really, really don't want to disappoint him.

"Oh, leave the wranglin' to me!" You tell Momo, taking the lead and marching to the front of the class. "Aw-rite everyone! Get your butts on your seats and let's get ready for schoolwork!"

While everyone does comply, but it's not that simple.

>"We are not in kindergarten, Walker, teach's not even here yet!" Bakugo yells at you almost immediately, trying to curb your enthusiasm.

"Come on sugar... Don't be like that!" You tell, trying and failing to reign in the with which you said the word sugar, but still trying to keep your spirits high. "Ah was thinkin' we could share somethin' from our internships before we finally return to classes! Why don'tcha start, Bakugo?"

You truly don't know what did you miss, but the fact that some boys start chortling, snicker and cackle the moment you put the spotlight on him gives you a most unheroic sense of satisfaction.

He seems to simmer for a second before firing back, standing from his seat and slamming his hands on his desk.

Suddenly, you don't want to do this anymore.

>"Wanna know what I learnt!?" He says, with nothing less than fire in his eyes. "I learnt that I would have been better on my own! I went with one of the best in the business because he was in the country's Top 5! AND ALL HE DID WAS WASTE MY TIME WITH PRESENTATION AND FASHION!"

>"Well... There's more to being a hero than subduing villains… Right?" Momo tells him, sounding and looking dejected for some reason. You don't know what part of that got to her, but it's clear something did.

Seeing your classmates beginning to look around with confused and concerned expressions, you decide to shift the conversation back to school matters.

"Okay, never mind then! Let's just see who cleans this week and all that jazz…" You say, looking at Momo's notes and what you are supposed to sort out today, since all the interesting things are scheduled for the following days.

For all the trouble it was, at least you can say that when Mr. Aizawa showed up, you had done your job and everyone was seated and in silence.

There's not much to the rest of the morning, as your classes are difficult enough without distractions, keeping the talk during the classes to a minimum up to lunch time.

At least you know that something interesting is bound to happen during Foundational Hero Studies later, so you set out to get lunch with optimism, the best time to socialize at school.

After all, Lunch Rush's meals are exceptional, and you are pretty sure you just can't have a bad time with good food, and the curry chahan on your tray smells spicy yet delicious.

The only thing left is choosing where to sit today.
>>
As always, Fumikage sits by the corner, the one corner where the light coming in from the windows and the overhead lights miss each other, leaving it somewhat dark. Not alone though, as the white haired girl you've seen share his table is there too, along with a girl you don't remember seeing, brown haired with a large bob cut.

Mina, Momo, Kyoka and Toru are sharing a table, excitedly talking with each other if the flailing seemingly empty sleeves are to be trusted.

The odd sight of the day, however, is that Shoto is not sitting alone in the second most shadowy table, but on Deku's table, next to Iida and Ochaco, chatting with them.

Odd.

Something you did expect though, was Pony's wave, calling for you to her table, much to Monoma's concern, Itsuka's indifference and Tetsutetsu's amusement. The green haired girl sitting with them, however, joins in the waving.

>What do you do?

Alright heres the breakdown

In the corner with Birdbro is Reiko [Poltergeist], who is very verbose (aswell). Also of note is she goes pretty-ninja like with her costume. With them is Mushroom girl...Plant girls ahoy? Otherwise this fork is choosing to get our sweet talk running.

Hmm Denki is also verbose...

The girls outside of Tsu (???) sit together and Momo just got her confidence blasted by Bakugo. We would likely learn what everyone else did and we could pursue finally getting a RD with our Pres...although at best its a 3d10....

Deku sitting currently with Ochaco and Iida where Shoto is. Whats the seating arrangement i wonder? Iida may or may not have the tix to the park yet. And I theorize that Uraraka was pacing because shes about to go through social-torture with Ushi to clear the air between them.

Today is Monday, we will be travelling with Shoto to his place for training with Endy. Take that as you will.

And finally, we have Pony who we promised to chat with about ES sitting with Setsuna. Monoma is concerned, seems like he actually likes Pony back. Cute.

Tokoyami is getting his emo harem-protagonist game on and I don't want to take that away from him. Momo's chilling with the girls and will probably feel better with their infectious cheer. Shoto's making friends and Ushi sitting down with them might deny him some valuable social experience if Ushi plops herself down.

Plus Ushi made a promise to our American Sistah'!

You look at each table, then again, then another time, trying to figure out where to go now.

It still feels unreal, having gotten to a point in which not knowing which one of your friends to hang out with is even a problem you have to deal with!

However, you told your fellow american that you would tell her about the ninjas, so that bring her table to the top of the list.

Thus, you walk down the cafeteria with your tray in your hands and a spring on your step, drawing some eyes, as usual.

But you don't go to your chosen table just yet, opting to take a small detour to Deku's table to check up on Shoto. However, as soon as you get close to the table, they stop their chat to look at you. It feels… awkward.

>"Here, have a seat." Iida speaks out before you can open your mouth, standing up and offering you a seat besides his, pulling it back.

"Oh, don'tcha worry sugah, Ah'm just passin' by!" You tell them, holding your tray with one hand and waving his attention off with the other before pointing with your thumb to Pony's table. "Ah'm on mah way to that table over there, the one with the gal with 'em lighthouse sized horns."

>"...Oh, don't let us stop you then." The bespectacled boy replies, slowly sliding the chair back into the table. "You are welcome to come back when you are done, if you want."

"Ah just wanted to tell Shoto here that we can talk later." You say, leaving out that you'll go to his home later. You then turn to the boy in question "Ah told Pony we'd talk at lunch and Ah can't leave her hangin'!"

>"Just stay alert." He replies without any hesitation. "There is only so many mistakes someone can make before it starts looking like it was done on purpose."

>"I know, right?" Ochaco says, rolling her eyes for some reason before looking straight at your eyes. "Anyways, better hurry and go with your friends! We can't do our best if we don't have a good meal, right? We need to bring our A-Game to Hero Studies later!"

>"...R-right! I can't wait to see how much everyone else improved this past week!" Deku finally speaks up, his shy expression quickly descending into his characteristic muttering madness. "I need to re-review all my notes… But what about any new skills? That doesn't make the previous ones incorrect, just outdated…"

"...Okay then…" You say, slowly taking a couple steps back before turning around and walking towards the table your class 1-B pals are occupying.

>"Here she comes!" You can hear the green haired girl say as soon as you approach them, looking at you with a wide (and unnervingly pointy) toothy grin.

>"Tokage…" Itsuka chastises her for some reason, making her look at the redhead instead.

And that's all you really need to vanish.
>>
Well, not really vanish, but shrinking yourself in an instant, effectively disappearing in a thin plume of white vapor to all onlookers, but really just running off the scene while standing at a height of a couple inches, dashing under their table and sneaking behind Pony's, Itsuka's and the green haired girl's seat.

>"Ushi?!" Pony exclaims, standing up and leaning forwards, hands on the table and clearly excited, chanting and wagging her tail. "Oh, tell me! Tell me! Tell me!~ Uh?"

Giggling at her apparent confusion, you take that chance to grow to size behind them, appearing in another puff of vapor.

"Howdy y'all… Had some interesting internships? Ah know Ah had!" You announce, making the three girls look over their shoulders in varying levels of surprise. "Learnt from… Ninjas!"

At the other side of the table, Tetsutetsu has a crackle at their reaction, while Monoma barely musters a smile, rolling his eyes at your antics.

>"Finally!" Monoma says, sounding a bit amused as he points his glass cup at you. "Please, do tell us what you did to drive poor Pony into such a frenzy?"

>"I told you already! You just saw it! She went with ninjas!" She says, raising her arms in exasperation. "What can be better!?"

>"Eh, dunno, I like samurai more." Tetsutetsu comments with a smirk.

>"Yeah, but you have shit taste." Pony asserts, dismissing his opinion in a surprisingly crass way.

This, however, manages to get Monoma to laugh, which in turn gets Itsuka to smack him on , reaching over the table with her massive, quirk enhanced hand.

You just stand there, watching them interact with your lunch tray in your hands, the rice tempting you with it's spicy aroma.

>"...Now what was that for?" The blond boy asks after a second to recover. "I had nothing to do with that…"

>"Yeah! I'm just making fun of Tsunotori's bad taste in anime, Monoma's too much of a sourpuss to get involved in that." Tetsutetsu explains, patting the blond's back.

>"Yeah, you gotta hit him!!" Pony urges Itsuka, who looks like her patience is slowly eroding.

>"That's a bad idea." Both Itsuka and Tetsutetsu point out.

"Uh… what's going on?" You ask softly, unsure of what to do or even say.

>"Oh, that's easy our pretty Pony pal here is a huge otaku." The green haired girl explains, her voice sounding like she was about to burst into laughter. Nothing you didn't know so far. "There was this series a couple years ago, you see? A highschool girl who joined a band of handsome ninjas to for justice and love!... It was fucking awful."

>"Cutie Ninja Shinobi was not awful! It's a pretty good introduction to the medium!" You horned pal fires back, her face starting to turn red. "<The latest adaptation botched the pacing, but it still hooked me into the story and got me to order the manga!>"

>"Hey, don't mind them! Stick to your truth and don't let them get in your head." Monoma tell her, managing to get her to calm back down.
>>
>"..." You can't even begin to describe the disbelief in Itsuka's face as she processes what just happened.

>"Your right." Pony says with a nod, back on her rough japanese, before looking at you. "Oh, sorry, take a sit!... And tell me everything!"

>"Here." The green haired girl says, as a chair flies off a nearby table and lands next to Pony's.

You put your tray down and let yourself fall on the chair. It's… a bit bumpy?

"Hol' up. Just a minute." You start, making a T-sign with your hands before anyone can say anything, grabbing your bowl and spork and shoveling the rice into your mouth before anything weird happens. Nothing on god's earth is going to take your lunch from you if you can help it. "There, now where were we?"

>"...The rest of her class should see this." Monoma comments. "Tsunotori is much more civil."

>"Caramel Apples." Tetsutetsu replies.

>"...That's irrelevant here." Monoma eloquently fires back.

>"Ninjas!" Pony reminds you, leaning closer and moving out of the way of the now slightly pink face of the green haired girl at the other end of the table.

"Not yet…" You tell your horned brethren, leaning back to look at the girl directly. "Uhm… Sorry there, Ah'm Walker Ushi, who are you?"

As you lean back, you feel the thing on your chair start to become a bother, as your seat isn't exactly padded.

>"I can tell, saw you on the podium and around school. You feel like a champion too!" She says, then points at herself with her left hand. "Tokage Setsuna. Recommended student, hoping to have some fun along the way to graduation, but not too much. Dropped the tan and blonde style last year, but it looks hot on you-"

>"Tokage, please." Kendo asks, sounding like a fair bit like a warning as she pinches the bridge of her nose. You are nonetheless thankful for the interruption. "Don't just start with… that. At least let her get to know you before trying anything."

"Huh? Gimme a second sugah-" You ask, wondering about what they meant before the annoyance on your rear bothers you enough to stand up. As you do, you could swear someone gives you a squeeze back there. Gentle, not like the proddings you've had to endure in the past, but not exactly welcome.

Feeling your blood rush to your face, but not yet sure why, you turn around fast enough to have your hair hit you in the face, but you still manage to see a…

"A-A hand!?" You barely say. As in it was just this shy of a scream. "A HAND!?"

You aren't really squeamish, but that's a real damn human hand that just fell on the chair, cleanly sliced at the wrist and with all the inner bits in sight. You don't really care all that much about it not bleeding, considering IT'S A FUCKING HAND!

What you do care about is how every eye on the table is not looking at you or the chair besides you, but at Tokage.

>"What did I just say?" Itsuka asks, standing up and walking towards you.

>"I didn't do anything~ She plopped her firm ass on my hand before I could pull it out, I thought it was intentional." Tokage says with her toothy smile, waving the open stump where her right hand should connect.

>"Are you okay?" Itsuka asks as she reaches you, giving you a hug.

Pony for her part looks at you with a face that is equal parts cute and sheepish.

The boys, on their side of the table, just look embarrassed.
>>
At least Tetsutetsu does, Monoma just taps him and grabs a bottle of water, jamming the opening with his now metallic finger and spraying Tokage's face with water.

...And she hisses, not like a cat, but like a lizard.

>"No. Stop that. You are better than that." He says as he continues to spray her.

...It somehow feels familiar, in a way.

Since scaling one part of the body differently from the rest of it (like with Austin Tossin) can really fuck up the circulatory system if left unresolved, just to be safe, Ushi should tag Monoma before she storms off if she does shrink her hand. We’re being (justifiably) dramatic, not dangerous.
>>
>>4145755
I think Tokage will be fine, her circulatory system has to be partitioned off by her Quirk to keep her from bleeding out whenever she uses it. And though Ushi doesn't know this, Tokage actually does have regeneration to replace any parts she loses, so if the hand does die she'll just grow a new one. She'll be fine. Worst case scenario is that Tokage gets a macabre little souvenir.
>>
>>4145770
But it can’t be partitioned off or she shouldn’t be able to feel with her detached nerves, and that hand wouldn’t be able to get oxygenated blood from her lungs and it would start dying off and turning purple. Because we know she can feel through it and it isn’t turning purple, it must not be partitioned off.

Also, it’s precisely because Ushi doesn’t know she has regeneration that she’d take extra care to not really hurt her.
>>
>>4145787
>But it can’t be partitioned off or she shouldn’t be able to feel with her detached nerves
Sure she can. She's already levitating the detached parts, spooky action at a distance is part of her power set.

>and that hand wouldn’t be able to get oxygenated blood from her lungs and it would start dying off and turning purple
Yeah, that's what happens to her detached parts if she doesn't reconnect them in time. They die. All of her body parts are on a timer. That's why she has regeneration.

>Also, it’s precisely because Ushi doesn’t know she has regeneration that she’d take extra care to not really hurt her.
Well, yeah, Ushi not knowing that Tokage will be fine means she'd probably feel bad once she calmed down and go to restore the hand. I'm just saying that it won't really matter, this is a character bit and not any serious danger.
>>
I think Ushi using her powers for petty revenge isn't a good look.

Tokage is already getting sprayed for her misbehavior anyway. That seems like the more proportional response.

Alternatively we could just stand on the hand until she apologizes.
>>
>>4146444
We shrunk Daisy's pants for less.
>>
What a contentious vote.
So something that struck me is that we've established Ushi to be a fan of Midnight so wouldn't the most Ushi choice be to do what she thinks Midnight would do. Something along the line of sucking on the tips of her fingers and then when she's flustered/into it biting down hard. Ushi was bold enough to sit in explodey-boy's lap so I don't think doing this in front of everyone would phase her to much.
>>
>>4146534
well where were you yesterday?
>>
>>4146534
>we've established Ushi to be a fan of Midnight

Her dad is a big Midnight fan.

>so wouldn't the most Ushi choice be to do what she thinks Midnight would do.

FTFY, and no.
>>
>>4146534

One could argue on two different fronts on this:

1. Ushi was in a more hormonal period back then for the short-pants event which has been dampened by being on the heat pill now.

2. Ushi’s flirtatious persona is her mask that she dons on when she is socially unsure, like as she was when first doing the entry exam (bakugo) and the baseline testing (Iida and Deku) in addition to the spa (Momo). She has, for the most part been able to become comfortable in her own skin at school/with her classmates so that mask is not nearly “up”.

Or in a different sense for this scenario Ushi’s true feelings can more readily emerge. We of course, get to ultimately decide what those true feelings are. I am of the mind that she feels PO’d but also empowered enough to retaliate in some form given her recent successes and improvements to her view of herself. This is why I advocate the open threat I wrote in >>4144047. Ushi feels like she can back up her bark with her bite now and is ready to use it to stop the “cow-handling” It also addresses how others are reacting to Setusna as well as bridges to our intended goal of sharing insights with Pony. It will be up to our American friend to decide if that will include the rest of the table or be elsewhere (Toko?)
>>
>>4146564
Ushi is actually a big fan of midnight too though. maybe not suck fingers like midnight big, but pretty big. more than most girls i'd imagine

You stare at the hand on your chair, now moving and waving at you, despite being separated from any arm.

The Class 1-A gals all change together, have fought together and, you like to believe, trust each other. And even with all that trust, only Mina has laid a hand on your chest, to compare it with Momo's. All in all, one of the most harmless jokes about your bust size.

There was no deception, just a friendly joke.

Mineta never hid his perverse from you, sharing far too much in your opinion, and even he has managed to keep his hands to himself for the most part.

This hand, hidden to feel your rear…

It makes your face red, your breath hot and your blood boil.

And yet…

You have been overly flirtatious, aggressively so, putting on a show for confused onlookers and pretty much just rubbing your chest on them, to make yourself feel more in control when scared or nervous.

...you can't get all that mad at Tokage.

You gently push Itsuka away and grab the hand, holding it in your own and running your fingers over it's back. It's a bit cold, but not much. Pretty similar to your older cousin, strangely enough.

"Is this yours?" You ask the somewhat wet girl, prompting Monoma to relent in his spraying.

>"Yeah~" She answers, smiling cheekily.

>"I won't tell you what to do, but playing along is simply a bad idea." Monoma tells you, putting down the bottle and leaning back on his chair, picking up his cup.

"Not planning on it." You tell him before turning back to the green haired girl.

>"Ooh, this should be good." Tetsutetsu comments, grinning.

You hold her hand up for her to see and hold it firmly in your own, feeling your back shiver as her thumb caresses the back of your hand.

"Ah gave mah own class's pervert a similar warnin', but Ah reckon we are skippin' the warnin' part of the deal." You tell her, activating your quirk now that you have the attention of the whole table, her hand shriveling, sizzling and shrinking in your grasp, the white mist flowing from her hand and into your own, reducing it to the size of a keychain in the span of a second, without breaking eye contact even as you toss the shrunken hand at her. "Keep them hands to yourself, 'kay? Ah dunno what Ah'd do after this, but Ah swear Ah'll come up with somethin'."

>"...What the fuck am I supposed to do with this?" Tokage asks as her now tiny floating hand tries to connect to her wrist, not fitting. Grossly enough, the botched connection starts bleeding before she separates them again, confused. "Gah!?"

>"Damn!" Tetsutetsu exclaims, leaning closer to look at it. "You really can mess someone up like that, can'tcha?"

...Maybe it was too much?
>>
>"Please, can you don't?" Pony asks, visibly grossed out and covering her mouth.

>"That'll be a bitch to regrow…" Tokage laments, holding her tiny hand in her normal, left hand as her expression turns pensive. "...Maybe I should eat it."

>"...Please, no more." Pony pleads, looking a bit green and pushing her salad tray away. "How did this end like this…"

>"A chain of other people's bad decisions." Monoma answers matter of factly, offering her his cup. Where do this people keep getting wine from? "Happens often. Fancy a drink to wash the bad taste away?"

>"I won't blame you if you want to leave." Itsuka says, sighing. "Considering how much it takes out of her to regenerate, maybe she'll think twice before pulling that kind of stunt again."

>What do you do?

>[That's enough, no need to mess your friends' day more, just humor Pony as planned. "Welp, that was cathartic. Now, where was Ah? Right-o, Ninjas..."]

Also I know she meant it as a rhetorical question but it would be even more catharsis to tell off Setsuna that she better tell the truth when her teacher inevitably asks her why she cannot train properly now that one of her hands is FUBAR.

If I recall correctly, from the buisness with matchhead, disfiguring people with your quirk is serious buisness. I know she can heal, but that requires her to destroy her own hand, which i'm sure the school frowns on people being put in a position where they feel they should do that.
Basically, having her explain to a teacher what we did is asking for trouble, especially if our excuse is she has a healing factor.
>>
>>4146837

Interesting event that be a treat to play out as she would have to explain that she was taking advantage of us using HER quirk to provide context as to why we pseudo-maimed her.

You just pat Itsuka's shoulder and sigh.

"It's not your fault, sugah." You say, looking at the redhead with a soft smile.

Righting your chair, you look at the state the table is on right now, surprised by the smell.

It… stinks, reeking of blood and some amount of bile, mixed with curry and the vinegar from Pony's salad. The red spray on Tokage's tray and red spots on her rice confirm your suspicion, showing you what it was indeed her failed… Graft? That left caused it.

Looking around the rest of the room though, show you that it must only be your sensitive nose that's so bothered by it, since no one else is looking at the table in horror.

Well, that's not completely true, as Pony's scrunched nose tells you that she's as sensible to the smell if not more.

Sighing again, you right your chair and glare at the green haired girl, thinking of one last warning before letting the issue go.

"Naw be thankful Ah just did 'ya hand, 'ya pervy sage, 'cause Ah'm talkin' ninjas 'n' we all know that that ends with missin' arms." You tell her, sitting down after checking your chair twice.

>"Pervy sage?" She muses, tapping her chin with her red wrist before shrugging. "... Eh, it's still better than just dirty."

>"That's because you cheat, not the horniness." Tetsu comments, grunting.

>"I just play to win." She replies.

>"Can we try to not look bad in front of our Class A guest?" Monoma asks, sounding a bit frustrated.

>"Twister's just a terrible idea." Pony adds with a small giggle, pulling a smile out of you.

In a way, it reminds you that Class B also has their own fun and misadventures.
Only, you know, with less fear for your own life.

"Right, where Ah was… Right-o, Ninjas!" You comment, leaning forward on the table for dramatic effect. "It all started when Ah made mah way to Yokkaichi, a gritty hub of industry with overcast skies and acidic air that burnt at your nostrils...."

And so you tell them, of Edgeshot's tower, of the condescending young ninja you met there, of the bread you brought and the training you endured, your multiple patrols and the smugglers you beat with blinding speed, working with your pardner.

You are also made to give very detailed descriptions of Edgeshot's face to Pony, since apparently he is never seen without it, at least never near a camera.
>>
She's pretty good at drawing, doing her best to get a sketch down from your words.

"...and that was mah internship with Edgeshot, ya know, just one of the best there is." You finish, allowing yourself to smile somewhat smugly.

>"Kick teeth in now and ask questions never, nice." Tetsutetsu comments with a nod and a grin. "I didn't get to see any action, but it was a fulfilling experience. There's more to the job than decking villains in the jaw… But I really wanted to do that too."

>"Oh yeah, sure. Mine was a mistake." Itsuka comments, looking briefly at the ceiling. "At least I'll get to see myself on T.V. in a month or two, maybe."

>"Why must you act like you envy Class A's curse?" Monoma asks with his resting smug face, putting down his now empty cup. "Our internships were objectively great."

>"Still sore." It's all Pony says, looking up from her sketch pad as she continues to polish her sketch… It just keeps getting younger and prettier, though.

>"Mine was a bore. Met a cool guy though, you'd like him." Tokage says, finishing by pointing her bloody wrist at you.

...You have to remember to tell Monoma to fix that later.

>What do you do?

“‘Cause clearly you can tell what Ah like.” You snidely reply to Tokage, far more interested in everyone else's internships.

>"No really! You'd like Tecchan. You wouldn't miss him if you ever go to Sapporo, golden hair and eyes and huuuge horns." She insists, trying to do the same cutesy horn sign Pony does when she uses her quirk, but it doesn't really work with only one hand. Heck it even looks like she's mocking your maimed horn. "Really hot stuff, literally! Has one hell of a transformation quirk, turning into a giant iron bull, hurling fire and molten metal and stuff."

"You really don't know me." You reply, trying to not think of the hellish image she put in your mind. "Why are you even tellin' me this?"

>"Told him I'd talk him up to you!" She answers with a big toothy smile, as if the last ten minutes did not happen. "Lots of people up north have their eyes on you, and we were partners for a week, I owed him that much. I pretty sure he likes you."

As a shiver runs down your spine, you look around, stunned…

Then your eyes meet Pony's, as she takes a moment to look away from her sketch raises and lowers her eyebrows with the tip of her tongue out, making fun of your hellish admirer, getting you to chortle.

>"I bet you I could beat him!" Tetsu comments, throwing a couple punches over the table. "Unannealed fuck."

>"If you don't get driven into the ground like a nail." Tokage points out.

>"Do have more confidence in your classmates, Tokage!" Monoma chastises her with a shrug. "If nothing else, he's chemically right for once."

That reminds you of what you wanted to do.

"...And what did you do that was so great, Monoma?" You ask, trying to enjoy your time with friends instead of thinking of anything related to Tokage.

>"Oh, interested in the goings-on of our class?" He asks, flourishing his hands around like a much more relaxed version of Iida.

"...Yeah, Ah just asked." You point out, getting a laugh out of Itsuka, for some reason.

>"Oh, I don't know how much I can reveal without dishonoring Majestic's trade secrets…" He answers, placing his hand over his forehead and dragging it up, ruffling his hair a bit as he smiles, a manic glee on his eye. "Sleight of hand, trickery and the element of surprise were all paramount to our work! Even the slightest hit can bring down the mightiest titan if done with prowess!"

>"Huh. I'll have to look into that." Tokage says, her voice starting to irritate you.

>"Carefully, you know how Monoma spins his words." Itsuka adds, sounding like your mom when offering advice.

>"You wound me, Kendo." The blond boy replies, clutching his chest dramatically.

"What about you? It can't be as bad as ya made it sound before, right?" You ask the redhead, eager to know what she did with her week.
>>
>"Imagine being cleaned up, caked in make-up, shoved into a pretty dress and being told to move your hips from side to side while holding a mock-up of a shampoo bottle in front of a whole studio." She says, rolling her eyes but holding her smile. "Felt nice to be pretty for once though, but it was worthless as far as internship experience comes. At least you did more than model for figurines. Still, I'm sure Yaoyorozu was more devastated by it than me. Didn't think someone so smart could blind herself so badly."

You make a mental note about it, but don't manage to comment on it before Tetsutetsu does.

>"You are always pretty, no cleaning up needed." Tetsutetsutetsu says unabashed, making your eyes go wide at the confession. "And you settle down Walker. I'm just saying the truth. There's nothing unmanly in giving compliments!"

>"Yeah!" Pony adds, making a square with her thumbs and indexes and framing the redhead. "Cutie next door or something like that! It has a name and all!"

"Girl next door! Yeah, Ah reckon it shows up a lot in… books." You say, carefully keeping your old romance books back home unmentioned. "Right, Pony, anything else about yours?"

>"No." She simply answers, then sighs, switching languages and speaking english too fast for the rest of the table. "<It wasn't really a good time. I, like, didn't know she didn't have an office to return to, barely even sleeping when we went to a hotel. If anything, I learned to run through traffic without even slowing down and kick stuff at close quarters, but it wasn't, like, fun. But she did leave me feeling ready for anything, and I'll choose to focus on that!>"

You aren't happy with how poorly Mirko adjusted to Pony's pace, but hearing your good friend making the best of the backbreaking experience does bring a smile to your face.

"<Pony, hun, you are always ready for anything! Bet you could kick mah ass now, girl!>" You tell her, doing as Tetsu did and throwing a couple mock punches over the table.

>"<Let's take on the world!>" She says, bringing her hands up to her real, too big horns and making her horn sign with her fingers, which you quickly imitate.

>"Now that's pretty cute." Itsuka points out, pointing with both index fingers at Pony before pointing one at you. "Actually… Hold on."

She just stands up and walks around Pony, coming to stand up between the two of you before placing her hands between your horns and patting both of you on the head, ruffling your hair a bit.

You allow it. It's comfy and you trust her well enough.

"Right… So you and Momo went with the same hero… She was pretty bummed out about it all when Ah saw her." You comment, looking up the best way you can without twisting Ituska's arm with your horns.

>"Well, yeah. It wasn't a very active internship, but I don't know what we were expecting..." She says, clicking her tongue at the end of the last word.

"What do ya mean?" You ask, wondering how they could have foreseen the hero's inaction during the week.

>"We chose to go with Uwabami, you know, a rescue hero. Unless an earthquake or an even bigger mess than Hosu City's happened, we should have known we weren't going to do much." She says with a shrug and a smile. " I realized my mistake early, but Yaoyorozu… Well, she tried to spin it every possible way, framing it as a good thing until the last minute, if not more."

"Trust me on this one sugah, she didn't keep that up for long." You tell her, tapping your chin and wondering if you should talk to Momo about it.

Why would she act that way?

The headpats last only a minute, before Pony asked her to stop so she could actually eat her lunch.

The rest of the period you spend with them, learning a few things about how their class operates under Mr. Vlad, who seems to be a lot more energetic than Mr. Aizawa and at less than half as scary, in your opinion.

Failing to organize a way to choose the class representatives, Honenuki and Itsuka just took charge of the class, with the President title given to the cute boy only because she offered it and he didn't want to start another argument, their homeroom teacher approving that as valid.

You aren't quite sure of what to make out of the fact that your friend is a dictator, but you trust Pony to raise if things go awry.

Just as you leave to return to your class though, you make a quick stop by the green haired girl.

>"Hey. I'd offer a handshake but…" She says with a cheeky smile, holding up her stump as her tiny hand floats a few inches in front of it.
>>
You grab the tiny hand and in a puff of mist and what feels like a crack of thunder return it to size, grab her forearm, and ram it inside her sleeve, like a misbehaving lego piece.

"There. Don't do it again." You tell her, then continue to walk away, ignoring anything that wasn't an apology, thus leaving without listening to her at all.

You try to focus on the nice parts of your lunch time during the following class, as the only focus the english class requires from you is that to understand why are you even looking into canadian classics of all things. At least that's where you think those beetles came from.

The really important part of the school day came as the last period, Foundational Hero Studies, what separates your class from general studies.

After a short interlude at the changing rooms to change into your costumes, you go to the mock factory area of the hills behind the school, Field Gamma, to meet with the greatest of japanese heros, All Might himself!

...Who is just standing by the entrance.

"I AM HERE!" He says with that huge, confident smile of his, posing with his hands on his hips. "TO TEACH TODAY'S CLASS! It's been a while, boys and girls! How is everyone!?"

>"I miss the big entrances." Toru comments, and you nod in agreement.

"Ah was looking forwards to the gag, it's fun!" You add.

>"Maybe… Maybe he ran out of gags!" Mina accuses the hero, pointing at him.

>"W-Well, we don't don't-" Deku tries to interject in the hero's favor, but All Might can fend for himself.

"Impossible! My supply of gags is never ending!" He says, laughing boastfully before pointing at the massive door behind him. "Because this comes as a direct follow-up to your internships, I thought we could start the week with something playful!"

"A RESCUE-TRAINING RACE!!" He announces, pressing his palm against the looming doors and shoving them open like they were paper blinds instead of sheets of solid metal over twice his height.

>"Excuse me sir!" Iida says, raising his arm fast enough to make a whiplike sound. If you didn't know him, you'd wonder how come he didn't break something by doing it. "Isn't USJ the best place for rescue training?!"

He isn't wearing a costume like the rest of you, but you are pretty sure that's because it ended up looking like a pincushion, so you don't bring it up.

"Only for disaster training." The hero explains, walking towards the stage behind the doors, which includes a giant screen for some reason. "Field Gamma is more than good enough for a race!!"

Pulling up a remote, he points at the screen, turning it on as a visual aid for his explanation.

"As you can see, Field Gamma is a maze of densely packed factories melting into one another to form a labyrinth of industry!" As he speaks, the screen switches between feeds of different hidden cameras, showing you how true his words are.
>>
It looks like all the worst parts of Yokkaichi crammed together, but thankfully without the smell, as other than the ever present teenage sweat and too much deodorant, the only other remarkable aroma is All Might's subtle but ever present disinfectant smell.

"You'll be divided into four teams of five, with the teams going in one at a time!" He continues, the screen now showing the silhouette of a bunny calling for help in the middle of the complex. "You'll wait at the border for my distress signal, which I'll send from somewhere inside. All you have to do to win is being the first in your team to reach and rescue me!"

He then takes a second to cough, scan your class and point to Bakugo.

"Of course, the idea is to cause the less damages possible to the factories, is that clear?!"

>"...Don't point at me." The blond says, grinding his teeth together.

"Now THE TEAMS!!!" The Country's N°1 Hero announces, pointing at the screen again, which now divides itself in four rows.

Team 1 is Mina, Iida, Deku, Sero and Shoji.

You don't like Deku's chances there… Nor Iida's. Both should still be somewhat purple from their incident.

Team 2 is Aoyama, Ochaco, Fumikage, Bakugo and Walker.

Hey, that's you!... And Bakugo. Fumikage and Dark Shadow are formidable, and Ochaco can sort of fly, so that is something you make sure to keep in mind. Aoyama is there, too.

Team 3 is Tsuyu, Sato, Shoto, Mineta and Momo.

Tsuyu's quirk is frog, and if you know something about frogs is that they can stick to stuff, can always leap farther than you expect them to, and are delicious. And you are sure at least two of those apply. Shoto's Ice is great at speeding on flat areas, which you don't think will help. Mineta can climb and bounce around like few others, but you are pretty sure he won't be any good at covering ground. Sato for his part has only raw musclepower to his advantage, and Momo… That'll all depend on what she makes.

Team 4 is Denki, Kirishima, Koda, Kyoka and Toru.

You have literally no idea of what even is that group.

"OKAY TEAM ONE? TO YOUR MARKS!!" The hero then calls before jumping.

More of a leap, really, as he shoots skywards, landing back down somewhere in the field.

This leaves you and fourteen of your classmates to look around for a while, waiting for your turn.

The idea seems simple enough, find All Might and reach him before anyone else in your team does. The weird thing though is calling it a team, since you are actually competing with each other.

Still, they are both your classmates and the people you are going to compete against, so you decide to try and sit with them all, trying to make a group out of them.

While Momo, Tsuyu, Toru and Kyoka huddle together closer to the screen with Ochaco just behind them, Bakugo seems to be trying to get away from the group, hanging out in the back.

It might have worked if Fumikage didn't try the exact same thing, as did Mineta, who was followed by Kaminari, which prompted Kirishima to come hang out, managing to almost split the class in front and back halves.

Almost, as Koda, Sato, and Shoto hang out on their own mini-group to the side, with the later two stoically staring at the screen with their arms crossed and Koji nervously trying to imitate them, looking to the side and readjusting his stance and pose every other second.

Taking note of where everyone is you wave down the wandering Aoyama to finish your round up, taking a seat between Bakugo and Ochaco, letting your half-cape fold into a pile to your left.

>"I see someone finally yearns for mon shining presence!" The blond remarks as he comes around, crouching next to you and wiping the floor before sitting down to your right.

"...Sure!" You reply, not sure of what else to say. "We'll be the next ones to go, Ah thought we could all hang out for a bit before that! Ours is gonna be a photo finish, Ah can tell!"

>"For second place." Bakugo growls behind you, then steps forwards and grabs your half-cape, throwing it behind you and sitting to your left. "Birdbrain should give you a run for your money."

Narrow your eyes and open your mouth, about to tell him off for touching you.

>"Hey, what gives!?" You hear Mineta yell from the back of the stage. "Why are you messing with the view!?"

Bakugo just looks at you with a big, nigh sinister grin and raises his hand, flipping the bird to those behind you. You kinda want to join him on that one right now.

Your eyelid twitches for a second as you reach back and make sure the cape covers the entirety of your back and seat. The amount of pervert activity you've had to deal with today is starting to approach the levels you hoped to escape leaving Texas.

>"How dismissive!" Says Aoyama, indignant. "I have been practicing my mobility, I'll have you know. I'll be waiting for you, shining like a beacon at the finish line!"

>"I've been training hard too." Ochaco adds, looking over her shoulder with a seriousness that doesn't quite fits her soft features. "I don't plan to fall behind anyone."

>"No one cares." Bakugo dismisses them, glaring at each with contempt.

That wouldn't be anything of note for anyone else, but you are pretty sure he used to tell people to fuck off without even looking at them.

"Ah won't make it easy for any of you, that's for sure." You tell him with a cocky grin, projecting all the confidence you've earned at the tournament and training under Edgeshot. "If anythin', Ah'll make sure you have a dust trail to follow."

>"Good, I wouldn't want it to be easy." He fires back with a grin of his own, overflowing with pride, eager to detrone you in some way. "Do your best, I'll crush you all the same."

>"I… I don't have anything flashy to boast, but that'd make a victory all the sweeter, wouldn't it?" Ochaco ask, once again looking over her shoulder, but looking straight at you. "To bring down the mighty as a nobody? Wouldn't that be grand?"

Finally, Fumikage joins in the banter.

>"All your boasting will only make your fall far more devastating." He says, stepping closer, his cloak hiding everything but his head.

START Then flashes in on the screen as All Might's voice yells it over the audio system, before the screen switches to a splitscreen view of the different cameras following Team 1.

As expected, Sero immediately takes to the sky, making use of the pipes to both gain an understanding of the terrain ahead and to skip most obstacles, giving him a clear advantage over Iida and Mina, whose speed is instantly hindered by the treacherous turns every few yards.

Shoji for his part seems to like Sero's idea, using six arms to climb up the pipeworks without difficulty before switching to… Ears.

"... Balance!" You let out as the realization hits you, seeing the massive boy run without difficulty over pipes half as wide as one of his boots. "He's not only gonna find All-Might with that trick of his, he's makin' sure he ain't comin' down!"

>"He's getting second place." Bakugo states matter of factly. "This is Sero's race. Third goes to Iida or Ashido, whoever figures out how to carry over speed over the bends first. Deku is dead last."

It would appear so, as his portion of the screen has only shown you how he clenches and relaxes his fists for the first few seconds, letting everyone else get a headstart.

"Ah'm not so sure of that." You say, getting everyone to look at you. "He mentioned a new technique the other day… Full Cowl? Something like that. Yeah, that!"

Then you point at the screen, now showing the green haired boy soar to the top of the factoryscape, kicking off pipes and roofs to stay airborne, quickly reaching Sero and starting to gain an advantage.

"Eyuup. Talk 'bout improvement!" You yell, excited at the chance of seeing him use his power without tenderizing himself.

>"WOAH!" Ochaco lets out, overly excited. "He's bouncing around like-"

>"THOSE ARE MY MOVES!!!" Bakugo yells, starting to actually growl.

>"He's always trying to be better, always studying. You didn't think he wouldn't learn from you, right?" Ochaco tells him, still smiling, still glued to the screen.
>>
Emitter type quirks have this rare thing, a signal or energy that other emitters can feel if close enough. And right now, you aren't sure if the sheer heat coming from your left is just how mad Bakugo is right now, or if he's actually about to go nuclear.

Luckily, you don't have to find out, as Deku's last kick misses its mark by a couple inches, sending him tumbling through the air, hitting a railing and landing face first on All Might's platform, twitching, seconds after Sero.

>"Heh." He lets out, immediately cooling down a lot, going from chernobyl to a box of firecrackers in a second, but you can still see a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his face.

"...So much for not breakin' anythin'." You say, covering your mouth. Not because it shocked you, but because your teeth hurt from seeing that.

You wish the screen had more audio to share than a celebratory jingle when All Might put the victory sash on Sero, who looks like he can't be anymore proud.

Shoji arrives a few seconds later with Iida hot on his heels, but Mina takes a full minute, having decided that carving footholds into the buildings instead of climbing like the rest was a good use of her time.

Maybe she was showing how fast her acid could melt concrete now. If that was the idea, it was positively terrifying.

A few minutes later, the first team reunites with the rest of you, led by a glowing Sero and slightly less shiny and definitely more scuffed Midoriya, who smiles despite his scratched face.

It's a bit cute, even.

>"That was great! Did you learn how to do that during your internship?" Ochaco asks him, wasting no time to jump in front of her friend's face.

However, their arrival means one thing for you.

"OKAY TEAM TWO! GET READY AND ON YOUR MARKS!" All Might announces, prompting your team to look for spots around the perimeter to start from when the signal is given.

As you walk to the perimeter of the field with your 'team' try to focus on the objectives.

Find All Might and reach him first. Minimal collateral damage and since it's not combat, interfering with the others is out of the question.

His signal will give you an approximate location, but that's not necessarily all there's to it.

Sounds easy enough.

Then the 'signal' goes off.

"START!" All Might yells from somewhere deep within the field, beyond what the pipes and factories allow you to see.

It sounds distorted, as if it echoed against metal before reaching you, yet from more or less ground level.

Ground level, near the center of the maze like field…

You have a fraction of a second to try and get the lead

You are certain you can be really fast, having perfected your quirk assisted leaps during your time with Edgeshot to the point that you can do it with but a tap and a thought…

Instead of that though, you focus on the other half of the race, finding the finish line.

So you walk in, breathing deeply and opening your senses.

You can see Aoyama's shining armor soar above you as he blindly propels himself with his laser, and smell the vapors the pavement he blasted emits.

A few yards per hour slower, but far more in control of the rest of his flightpath, Bakugo blast overhead, his smoke itching in your sensible nose.

Of Ochaco, you don't know, but Fumikage was hard to ignore, even if you wanted to, as he made full use of the sun-covering pipes on some parts of the factoryscape to have Dark Shadow pull him forwards, the specter grabbing the metallic pipes with enough force to make the entire field echo in a cacophony of disturbed metal.

Still, you walk, head held high and breathing in the world, trying to eke out an advantage out of the side of you that has caused you so much grief.

You focus past the acidic smoke and the scorched pavement, the metallic scent of the ever eroding pipes, and try to find one or two specific ones. The right smells to know where your teacher is.

It might not have looked great to others, sniffing the air like an animal, but it makes you glad.

How could it not, having found what you were looking for?

You don't know how, but the greatest hero of the land always smells of disinfectant and blood, a lingering scent that you are sure most don't ever notice.

But to you, right now, it's a compass.

You smile, proud of your talent…

Then you realize that, if the light blue and orange lights on the sky are anything to go by, Aoyama and Bakugo are close to one third of the way there.

In the seconds it took you to do that.

I know it looks like a worse roll, but by applying the (Speed 2) aspect of our quirk multiple times per round, it'll let us catch up after we stood back and got our bearings. In all likelihood we would have used our Reliable 2 to set a die to 10 anyways, so if we set one to 10 beforehand it shouldn't be too much of a difference in difficulty.
>>
>>4155758
wait, is this a low roll type of quest ?

If for any reason this doesn't make sense, just view it as doing a full dash with minimal repercussions in the same time as usually just one action.

So since we are using our quirk, does that mean we can use reliable to flip the 8 to get another 9?
>>
>>4157595
That's reliable 2, but since you are doing two jumps in the same round, it's bumped down to reliable 1.

Reliable 1 is just setting a die to a number before rolling it, like you all did for this.
>>
>>4157595
No, see,

Reliable (2) lets you change a die after it is rolled.

However, we’re paying for the ability to go so fast we do two leaps per round by taking a -1 penalty to Reliability.

2-1 = Reliable 1

Reliable 1 lets you set a die before you roll the rest, which is why everyone named a number for one of their die, and rolled the remaining six of seven.

Usually you would use this to call a 10 to try and cause a crit-success or to try to target a specific location on an enemy, but >>4156993 here managed to use, like, tarot cards or something to correctly predict they’d roll a 7 and call it, thus causing us to succeed.

Also, since we’re attempting two things this round, we need at least two pairs, so just 9/9/9 would still make us fail half our actions this turn. Why risk not having our usual amount of reliability? Because as we’re about to see, applying on-hit effects like EBiT’s Fast X2 multiple times is very impactful.

There's no time to waste, at all.

The field is huge, with a large part of the factoryscape between you and All Might, and you are already far behind. After all, knowing where you are and where to go only helps you so much if you can't catch up to everyone else.

That doesn't mean it's not of any help though, as you turn to face the right direction before ...liftoff.

"Okay… Shootin' star… without the crater… Ah hope." You mutter as you shoot forwards like a firework.

Liftoff is the only word that really fits for what you do, a rapid succession of lunging and jumping, tapping your thigh at the right instant to grow your leg and kick off with momentous force, then instantly shrinking it back to size and making use of all the power your training allows you to generate, magnified by the size manipulating capability of your quirk, to shoot both forwards and upwards, cape fluttering behind you as you do the best impression of flight you can manage.

You don't plan on falling into the same trap as Deku, however paying attention to your feet as you surge forwards, just a couple yards over the average pipe, sticking a three points landing at the top of a storage tank, to make sure you have a perch to kick from.

You only stay still for a fraction of a second, but it's more than enough to get your bearings and find the rest of your team.

Aoyama doesn't seem to be doing well, as his laser stutters and stops firing as he clutches his midsection, falling onto a roof, bent over. Even though he sparkled the whole way down, it doesn't look good…

Then you finally see Ochaco, running and jumping from platform to pipe, to streetlight and roof, barely making any contact with each, seemingly weightless as she overtakes Aoyama. You can't tell if she looks serious, sick, or just a mix of both.

Fumikage and Dark Shadow however, seem to have taken the lead, judging by the ruckus going on in the shadows of the factoryscape, as metal pipes groan and bend, if your ears don't fail you. Not quite the right direction, but if he keeps going that fast, he's bound to have time to look around before you get there.

With Bakugo's blasting allowing him to pretty much fly, it doesn't surprise you seeing him leaving behind both Aoyama and Ochaco, flying hot on Fumikage's tail, seemingly mere yards behind Dark Shadow's wake.

Then you kickoff again, focusing on shooting forwards over skyward…

And with that one kick, that nigh perfect jump, you find yourself briefly soaring besides Bakugo, much to his and your own surprise.
>>
>"When the fuck did you learn to fly!?" He asks, with his usual grace.

Alright we caught up, now to take advantage of reliable 2 to keep our lead very comfortable. Assuming I’m understanding things right.

Aoyama should be fine, he’s not gonna literally blow up his intestines in a training exercise.

So I went ahead and did a project by hand throughout the night. 450 dice rolls, 150 sets of 3, split between 6 top numbers one can choose for 7d10 Reliable: 1, it presents two things for me. That the risk of failure is at around 13%, and that there is major benefits to choosing only 8,9,or 10 for the the 7d10 R1 scenario.

Switching>>4157670
to
>>[It worked once, why not twice! Speed is all that matters now! "Howdy there rocketman! Saw you burnin' out your fuse up here alone, thought Ah'd drop by!" (Hands + Quirk, 7d)[-1 Reliable.]]

With potential more dice coming in the near future, the odds will only improve.
>>
>>4158028
But what's the difference between rolling 4 sevens with 7d r2 versus 2 fours 2 sixes with 7d r1? Assume reliable was already factored in when determining matches with the numbers I gave randomly.
As it is, I vastly prefer using reliable 2 with trying to get one big match with 7d than trying to get 2 matches with reliable 1 where we have to guess what one of the pairs would be.

You blink. You weren't really planning that.
...But he doesn't have to know that.

You just smile as smugly as you can and give him a two finger salute as your momentum begins to run out and gravity begins to pull you down, letting the angry boy overtake you.

As you learned from Edgeshot, as you practiced on Yokkaichi's streets, you land atop a streetlight, slamming your heel on the top of the pole bend it back just right and smell the air for your target, locking on to the hero.

Just as the street light bounces back to form, you tap your thigh and use your quirk to kick off once again, jettisoning off faster than ever before, trusting your senses and knowing you won't miss your mark or overshoot it.

"No fly, jump good!" You yell as you fly past Bakugo, with no sign of stopping this time, aiming not for the greatest distance this time, but to All Might's location.

>"HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU GOING THAT FAST!?" He yells as you leave him behind, swerving midair to chase you.

Well, you aren't quite sure if that's what he's doing, but he's certainly hot on your trail, the explosions behind you becoming louder and more frequent.

There's nothing quite like the pride of knowing his rocket powered flight is still a bit slower than your muscle powered jump.

Sure, he's accelerating and you are slowing down, but with the goal so close, it won't matter!

You can see him clearly now, in a small alley a fair distance from the center of the field that Fumikage already overshot, is All Might, leaning against a wall and holding another sash.

The only thing to do is to maneuver the last few crossing pipes on the way and stick the landing!

You spot a nice pipe to pivot from and kick!

...Feeling with utter dread how your boot misses the mark, hitting it instead with your rolling spur.

"<Fuck>." Is all you manage to say as you lose control of your trayectory, raising your arms in front of your face and relaxing your joints, hoping not to break anything on the landing.

Going at several dozens of miles per hour, you can only grit your teeth and prepare for a shower of splinters to fly around after you splatter against a wall…

Then your boot grazes the floor, giving you the chance to turn your meteoric fall into a mad dash, offering the false hope of slowing down, if you had the runway to do so.

However, you are in the middle of a cramped factoryscape with no such runway, nothing but a couple of yards between you and the next wa-

"ALL MIGHT!" You yell, noticing said hero being in your collision course, alerting him just in time so you could see his eyes widen before impact.

"YOUN-!?" Is all he manages to say before you crash into him.

Keeping your arms in front of you doesn't help much, as the only thing it manages is to overly bend your wrists against the wall behind him, and you are pretty sure you managed to bruise your breasts against his rock hard abs anyway.

That's nothing to say of your busted, bleeding nose as your face ends up buried right in between his mighty pecs.

"Y-young Walker?" You can hear the hero ask as you regain your bearings, unmoving.

Then you take stock of your situation.

Your face and body are pressed against the country's No. 1 Hero's, while your arms pin hom to the wall behind.

Well. Fuck.

"A-All Might?" You ask, pulling your head back and taking your face off his costume.

"Are you well?" He stiffly asks, not quite as bombastic as he most often is.

"Uh-huh." You dizzily reply.

"Would you kindly, and quickly, let me go?" He asks, sounding more nervous than you know a man his size could sound.

"Uh..." You mutter, still waiting for your brain to slide down from the side of your skull.

>"HEY! HANDS OFF!" You hear Bakugo's voice yell behind you as a hand grabs your belt from behind, lifting you rear up and pulling you away from the hero, lifting you up and down like a kettlebell. "...What the fuck are you made of, cotton candy?"

"Nuh… That's Mina." You reply, not doing anything about anything, just hanging by your belt and bleeding by your nose. "Ah'm... feelin' more like a <smashburger> right now."

>"Hey, what now?!" Bakugo then asks your teacher, still holding you by your belt.

"...RIGHT!" He answers, bringing a hand to his face and wiping some sweat away as he takes a couple of steps away, raising the sash in his other hand. "THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME! YOUNG BAKUGO! NOW WE JUST NEED TO WAIT FOR THE REST TO ARRIVE! HA! HA! HA!"

>"What." The boy replies, lifting you up. "I don't know how hard she rattled your brains, but I'm pretty sure bombshell here got here first."

"W-WELL, YES!" The hero replies with a stutter. "HOWEVER, BODY SLAMMING INTO THE RESCUEE ISN'T A VALID RESCUE TECHNIQUE!!"

>"It was a race." Bakugo replies, his anger returning to his voice and lifting you up. "Give her the scarf."

All Might, for his part, takes a step back.
