Saiyans. Were one to travel the stars, they would undoubtedly hear tales of the mighty warrior race. Some speak of them with awe and wonder, marveling at their power and aspiring to become like the mighty warriors. Others speak in hushed tones, of the fear and despair you’d feel facing them in battle. But one thing all agree on, is that standing against the might of the warrior race spells certain doom. Many have tried, several going as far as to invade the Saiyan’s homeworld of New Salda. Yet every invasion has failed, defeated by the Saiyans and their most powerful warriors: the golden Super Saiyans.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, which began decades before the ‘canon’ events of Dragonball began. Currently we are in Age 748, this timeline having veered quite far from its natural course. You the players control Karn: oncr an ordinary Saiyan with a powerlevel of only 2,830, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of not only the might of the Saiyan race, but of the PTO itself known across the universe. Now, as a general of the PTO with a powerlevel of 18,915,500 before transforming, Karn has become the undisputed face of the PTO’s military, second only to Lord Freeza himself.

Character Sheet, powerlevels, and other pastebins can be found at:

Quest rules are as follows:
>20 minute voting windows
>pick ONE option when voting, unless otherwise noted
>Dice rolls are all best of three, only correctly rolled dice pools count
>Crits are 100 on a d100(a 99 or paired rolls may net you an extra bonus)
>Crit fails will count -only- if no roll passes the DC, or if two different 1s are rolled.
>Two 1s will OVERRIDE even a critical success, resulting in a catastrophic crit failure
>Write-ins are both allowed and encouraged.
That said, they can and will be shut down if too out of character/metagamey. With over 100 episodes behind us, Karn now has a well-established character
>All rules stand as-written, unless otherwise noted
>I can change any of the above rules at any time for any or no reason
>Have fun

Our quest will usually start every Saturday at noon Eastern Standard Time, and run throughout the weekend. Also, for updates or schedule changes can find me on twitter @GrandDragonQM whichI try and keep up-to-date

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After saying farewell to Joseph, Jotaro, and Polnareff, the trio of crusaders returning to their own world, Karn confronted the spirit of Darth Bane regarding his role in the traitor Mouse’s attempted sabotage. After setting the rules for their partnership going forward, Karn accepted studying under the ancient Sith and his training for the coming war began in earnest. After three months of training, mastering his Berserker power, studying under the Sith Lord, and practicing his energy attacks and energy control, Sarada challenged him to an informal fight. After beating her soundly, Karn listened to Chaya’s first live singing performance to the roaring cheers of her fans before visiting with the giant Golden Oozaru of King Vegeta, Nappa, and Bardock. And as we rejoin Karn, King Vegeta has just layed down the challenge.

“Karn!” Vegeta roars. “Come on, fight me! Show me what you’ve got!”
“You wanna go?” you shout, transforming into your Ascended Berserker form to more-closely match his tremendous power. And although his own strength is still noticeably greater than your own, it isn’t an insurmountable gap. “Alright, let’s do it!!”
“Bardock, get clear!” Nappa shouts, your large friend launching himself back away from you. “C’mon Karn, give us a show!”
“RRRAAAAAA!” Vegeta roars, swinging a massive right fist down at you. You leap, matching his powerful punch with one of your own and kicking out a massive shockwave. But his power and mass overpower you, forcing you to bring your left up as well to try and hold his mighty fist back. But Vegeta overpowers you, forcing you back down to the ground before pulling his fist back. You don’t hesitate and leap backwards, Vegeta following his right with a left and narrowly missing you. Despite being many times larger, he’s even faster than usual in this form. The only thing that saves you is actually his huge size, each of Vegeta’s attacks having so much ground to cover that you can dodge his mighty blows.

“Heh, too slow!” you taunt, dashing backwards between his massive fists as they crash down on the ground. “C’mon Vegeta, you can do better than that!”
“GWRROOOOAAAAAAR!!” Golden Oozaru Vegeta bellows, pounding his own chest at you in challenge.

What do you do?
>Rush and attack
>Defend, try and withstand his power
>Evade his blows, use your speed to stay one step ahead and tire him out
>Keep your distance, use your ranged ki attacks to wear him down
>Full-Power Final Flash, see just how strong he really is

You take your fighting stance as Vegeta takes his, the massive form of your Golden Oozaru king towering high above you. He may be noticeably faster than you, but as long as you’re focused and paying close attention to what he’s doing, you should be able to-

“GRRAAAAA!!” Vegeta roars, fist swinging straight down. Before you can move it’s right on top of you, forcing you to block. Flaring your power and crossing your arms overhead, Vegeta slams you straight down into the earth. But you manage to withstand the blow, dashing out from under it as soon as he raises his fist. As you leap back, Vegeta front kicks at you with his massive boot. Again with no time to evade, you’re left with no choice but to block. And so you do, not trying to remain in place and allowing Vegeta’s kick to send you flying. The force of your king’s powerful blow launches you back, giving you the distance you need to collect yourself. But you don’t get long.

“GWROOOAAAR!!” Vegeta bellows, firing a massive blast of ki from his mouth. Seeing the attack coming, you have plenty of time to dodge around the wide beam. But he doesn’t stop the torrent of power, sweeping his attack back and forth trying to catch you in the deadly blast. While you could possibly keep dodging around it, as wide as it is you decide it’s easier to block it. And so you do, activating your Barrier moments before the massive attack would’ve consumed you. Vegeta swipes it back and forth a half-dozen times, your Barrier deflecting the energy away each time. After almost a minute the beam of destruction ends, and before you can lower your Barrier Vegeta’s once more dashed in. He punches, giant fist smashing into and shattering your shield with a single strike. Fortunately the shield sloweda his attack down just enough, allowing you to launch higher into the air over his fist.

“Missed me!” you taunt, launching a Scattershot right into Vegeta’s face. The dozens of small blasts all explode, mostly in his eyes.
“DAMMIT!!” Vegeta roars, clutching at his face as you launch yourself backwards and getting out of his range. After a few seconds he lowers his hands, chuckling. “Heh, not bad. But is that all you’ve got?”

Well?

“No way, I’m just getting started!” you shout, flaring your remaining aura up around you. Which isn’t nearly as impressive as usual, your power severely depleted from the full day of training. Right now, Golden Oozaru Vegeta’s power is at more than double your own Ascended Berserker form’s strength. But despite being tired, and your energy levels flagging, you’re not just gonna give up. “Bring it on! HRRAAAAA!!”

Roaring as you dash in, Vegeta swings his massive fist at you once more. You narrowly dodge the mighty hit, dashing up along the inside of Vegeta’s arm. Your sudden switch in tactics catches Vegeta off-guard, your friend unable to dodge away as you close the distance.

“HRRYAAAAAA!!” you roar, delivering a powerful kick right to the side of Vegeta’s jaw. The impact from your kick staggers the Saiyan King, you dropping down to the ground while he’s distracted and flying between his legs. As you get behind him, you notice Vegeta’s tail isn’t wrapped around his waist like usual. Suddenly you get an idea, dashing to the end of Vegeta’s tail and grabbing it.
“WHAT?!” Vegeta roars, you lifting with all your might and actually lifting the mighty Oozaru off the ground. He twists, trying to throw you off his tail. But instead of fighting his power directly you let go, dashing back in. As he fully rolls around you land a mighty kick to his stomach, sending Vegeta crashing down to the ground hard. The impact kicks up a massive dust cloud, you suppressing your power and dropping down to the ground. As you land Vegeta roars, blasting the clouds away as he rises to his feet. “Where’d you go?”

He doesn’t see you, giving you the perfect opportunity to sneak through his legs to again get behind him. Before he figures out where you’d gone you leap, kicking him with your full power in the back of his right knee.

“GYAAA!!?” Vegeta shouts in confusion, trying to catch himself with his arms. But as he does you leap, dashing in and slamming a fist into his snout. Your punch’s impact rocks Vegeta, his head bouncing off the ground. Sighing out Veget closes his eyes, quickly reverting back down to his base form. You do the same, sighing out as you fall back flat on the ground. “Dammit, I almost had you that time.”
“The Golden Oozaru’s strong, but it’s got too many openings.” you say, laying still and catching your breath. “Great for destroying weaker enemies, but if someone’s even close to your own level they’ll exploit the hell out of your openings.”
“I’ll certainly remember that.” he replies, neither of you immediately getting back up.

What will you do now?
>Ask Vegeta how the preparations are going

“So. How’re the preparations coming along?” you ask him as you both continue to lay there exhausted.
“Everything’s coming along well.” he replies tiredly, an exhaustion born not of his body. “All the Attack Pods that were damaged in the last battle have been repaired, and more and more of the extremely durable armors are being brought in. We also have thirty thousand new scouters arriving within the next month or so. Once the ship arrives, our soldiers will be ready to go.”
“Impressive.” you say, then after a moment of silence, “You’ve really grown up Vegeta, I’m proud of you.”
“Huh?” he asks, clearly caught off-guard. “Karn?”
“You heard me.” you say, pushing yourself upright and seeing he’s already done so, sitting and looking curiously at you. “I’m proud of you, Vegeta. You’ve turned into a great warrior, and a fine ruler.”

“...Thank you.” he says after a moment, Nappa and Bardock landing nearby and helping you both back to your feet. Despite his short stature he still carries himself with an air of authority. “I’m not going to stop growing, Karn. And one day I’ll be strong enough to defeat you, and carry the hopes of our people on my shoulders. I may be the king, but I’m not their hero. Not yet.”
“Maybe one day you’ll be stronger than me.” you say, holding out your arm to him. “But I won’t make it easy on you. You’ll have to earn it.”

“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” he replies, you clasping each others’ right forearm. With the sparring match done you both go your seperate ways, Vegeta returning to his palace as you go back to your ruined ship. You eat a quick meal before showering, falling into bed exhausted. Within moments you’re asleep, but after what seems only moments you’re awake. Everything’s dark, you hearing the subtle sounds of your family’s breathing around you. But something’s wrong. Slipping out of bed, your instincts warn you that something is coming. Slipping out of bed silently, you stand beside your bed and listen. You don’t hear anything that stands out,

You remain still for several seconds, straining your own senses but you can’t find anything out of the ordinary. Despite remaining still, the feeling of something watching you, preparing to strike doesn’t go away.

“Dammit.” you think, closing your eyes and focusing on your connection to New Salda.
“GREETINGS, MY CHAMPION.” New Salda’s booming voice appears in your mind. Almost on reflex your hand goes to your mouth in a ‘shhh’ gesture, before you realize the avatar probably can’t see you right now. “IS SOMETHING WRONG?”
“I think so.” you reply telepathically, letting your hands drop back down as you focus. “And I need your help.”
“OF COURSE.” New Salda’s avatar replies, sudden strength surging up through your heels and into your body. But the physical power isn’t what you’re after, but how much more enhanced your senses become when connected to New Salda. Once more you focus, your ki senses now revealing every single living thing on New Salda. With the planet behind you, you can feel the difference between those who live on this planet and those who don’t. Yet, despite your greatly-augmented mental prowess, you still find nothing too out of the ordinary.

“FREE-!” Tanya says, aiming her large rifle with the chainsaw on it at you from around her doorframe. You see she’s wearing nothing but a too-long button-up white shirt, it long enough to be a dress for her. But despite that, you feel a wave of menace from her. You’re forcibly reminded that she’s a soldier, and an experienced one. As she sees you she relaxes, smirking at you and saying. “Exposing yourself to a subordinate, general? That’s sexual harassment, and of a minor no le-“
“Quiet!” you tell her telepathically, finger to your lips. “Do you feel that? Something’s off, almost like-“
“Like you’re being hunted?” she replies, also telepathically. Surprised she summed it up so well, you reply only by nodding. “Dammit, I’d hoped I was just being jumpy. Shit. Well, what now, General?”
“I don’t know.” you reply, Tanya raising an eyebrow in surprise. “I can’t get a lock on anything living out of the ordinary, it may either be some kinda machine or someone suppressing their ki so well the planet itself can’t feel them. But either way, this can’t be good.”

“What are your orders?” she asks, you noticing that she’s clutching her weapon tight. A bead of sweat drips down the side of her face, she’s clearly nervous. But she does have a good point, you can’t just stand here.

“Stay here, and watch over them for me.” you think to her, levitating a few inches up off the floor. Your connection to New Salda weakens slightly, but since you weren’t directly in contact with the planet already it doesn’t drop by much. “I’m going to hunt down whoever, or whatever, has snuck in here. If something comes, make noise and I’ll be right back.”
“Understood.” she replies, giving you a silent salute and stepping back into her room. After a few moments she almost seems to vanish, disappearing into the darkness.
“I’m entrusting my family to you.” you tell her telepathically. “Don’t let me down, Tanya.”

“I won’t fail.” she replies, you nodding to the shadows of her room then float silently from your room. You look down the hall, first to your left then to the right. Not seeing anything out of the ordinary, you go down the right. With the ship being a large circle, it doesn’t really matter which way you go as both will eventually lead you right back here. So you drift down the hallway, silently peering into the darkness with all your senses tuned. You move carefully, slipping down your ship’s halls like a phantom. But after five minutes of painstakingly silent exploration, and nearly completing a circuit of the ship’s main hall, nothing’s happened yet.

“Dammit, what the hell?” you mutter on the exhale, voice barely a whisper. For a moment you consider it was all in your head, but then you remember how disturbed Tanya was. You aren’t the only one who knows something’s just wrong. But what could it be?

BANG

You hear a single shot fire out, then suddenly silence. Shit, that was Tanya! Without hesitation you raise your right hand to your forehead, and use your Instant Transmission to teleport right to her side. And are completely confused by what you see upon arriving. There’s a figure wearing a long, dark coat with a wide-brimmed hat, shadows covering his face. But from his right coatsleeve are several pinkish tentacles, which have Tanya and her rifle both in their grip and held helplessly. She can’t even call out for help with a tentacle around her head and covering her mouth, leaving her eyes visible and wide in terror. But that’s not all, as you arrive you see a what looks like a golden, humanoid figure. But just for a moment, it vanishing with your sudden appearance.

“Who’re you?!” you demand, green Champion aura flaring wildly around you. “Let her go. Now.”
“Well well, you’re the man I wanted to see.” the figure says, his tentacles releasing Tanya immediately. But you notice the figure doesn’t release her weapon as the rest of the tentacles retreat into his sleeve. “Let’s take this somewhere more private. Za Warudo. There, now we can talk freely.”
“What?” you ask, looking around confused. One moment you were inside Tanya’s room on your ship, and now you both are standing under it. But as you get your bearings, the figure pulls the hat from his head, revealing a familiar face. “Kars? How...?”

“Am I alive?” he finishes your question for you, chuckling. “I’m not that easy to kill.”
“I saw your head get smashed into nothing.” you say, stunned. “You can survive even that?”
“Of course.” he replies easily, you also noticing his ears are pierced with the same earrings the Kais wear, his ears even pointed like he’s somehow becoming a Kai. “I am no mere mortal.”
“Wait, hold on.” you say, trying to wrap your head around this. “If you survived, why did you let Jotaro go? If you lived through that, surely you could have finished the fight? Why would you let him go?”
“Certainly, I could have killed the boy.” he replies, the gilded humanoid figure appearing behind him. “But thanks to him, I was able to learn how to access the extraordinary power of a Stand. So, in return, I let him live.”

“I guess that makes sense.” you say, then return to the business at hand. “But that doesn’t explain why you’re here now, attacking my subordinates.”
“One, she attacked me first.” he says calmly. “And two, I didn’t attack her. All I did was restrain her, and tried to keep her from waking everyone on the ship. But that seems to have failed.”
“I was already awake.” you reply, gaze narrowing. “I felt something while I was asleep, which I guess was you skulking around?”
“Both you and her were able to sense me...” he says, pondering that a moment before returning his focus back to you. “Impressive, Karn. It would seem I greatly underestimated you.”

“You’re not the first, and probably won’t be the last either.” you reply. “So, why are you here? Why have you come here, now, to my planet?”
“Yes, this truly is your planet.” he says, smirking slightly at your green aura still flared up around you. “Not many can lay claim to such a thing, including both your planet’s last and current Guardians. As for why we’re here, well, I can’t say. I was ordered to remain silent about our current mission.”
“Wait, our?” you ask, several things suddenly clicking in your mind all at once. Since he’s a disciple of the Supreme Kai, that would mean he’s here talking to Freeza. And there’s only one thing they’d be discussing now. “The treaty.”
“Oh?” he replies with a wink and a smirk, you getting it. He cannot directly tell you some things, but is clearly willing to circumvent those restrictions and give you some intel.

“So the Supreme Kai is here, talking with Freeza.” you say, talking your way through this with Kars. “Which means he’s doubtlessly seen the message I found.”
“A message?” Kars asks you, curiously. “I’m not sure I know quite what you’re talking about.”
“After several Covenant Sangheili tried to assassinate my eldest daughter, I searched their room and found a message.” you tell him. “The recording claims that the hit was ordered by the Covenant’s leaders.”
“I see.” he says, seeming to be thoughtfully pondering what you’d told him. “If the Covenant leaders are found to have directly ordered an assassination attempt on a PTO officer’s family, then the peace treaty would no longer be valid.”

“Yeah, but more importantly, why are you here?” you ask him seriously. “And by here, I mean on my ship.”
“Because I was curious about you, Saiyan.” he says. “I was curious as to just how much stronger you’d become since we last met.”
“So you were sneaking around on my ship while most of the crew were asleep?” you say, eyes narrowing. Something’s not right here, he’s hiding something from you. But before you can grill him on it, Meloka suddenly appears beside you.
“Who’re you?!” she replies, lightning dancing around her body and the long, golden hair of her Super Saiyan 3 form. She draws one of her ki blades and points it at him, but as quickly as she arrived, he vanishes. “Huh? Karn, who was that?”

“Kars.” you say, but Meloka doesn’t seem to understand you.
“Who?” she asks, you turning to her.
“Kars. Tall, built, dark hair, horn on his forehead?” you say, describing him hoping she’ll remember. “Remember, the guy Jotaro beat down? And the late Guardian banished?”
“Karn, that guy died.” she says to you, suddenly seeming worried. “Remember? Jotaro killed him, smashed his head into nothing.”
“No, he somehow lived through that.” you say, shaking your head. “He’s here, and the Supreme Kai is too. Tanya saw him, and shot him as he tried to sneak into our room.”
“She said she shot at an intruder, who somehow captured her.” she says seriously. “But she didn’t see what he looked like. If he’s really here, and the Supreme Kai is too, then I’ll go check with Freeza.”

And with that she puts the first two fingers of her right hand to her forehead, vanishing. But you can’t think on that, focusing your attention on your link with New Salda.

“Did you see him?” you ask the planet. “I have to find him, did you manage to feel his energy?”
“I’M SORRY MY CHAMPION.” New Salda’s booming voice appearing in your mind. “THAT BEING IS UNLIKE ANYTHING I’VE EVER FELT BEFORE. I CANNOT GRASP IT’S TRUE NATURE.”
“Don’t worry about it.” you reply, deciding to try something else. Something you’ve only done a couple times before, each time leaving you with an extremely painful headache. But you’re not letting Kars get away, you still have questions for him. So, focusing your mind, you try and reach out to his.

“Kars, we’re not done yet.” you think out, trying to connect your mind with that vampire’s. Or is he a Kai now? Either way, you try reaching out, and sure enough you get a response.
“I’ve seen enough.” he tells you dismissively. “Your strength has grown, but not nearly enough. Not yet. You have to keep getting stronger, Karn. Until you’re ready.”
“Ready?” you ask him, confused. “Ready for what?”
“For seizing your destiny.” Kars replies, you almost picturing his smirk. “And becoming a god of this universe.”

>Ready to find out what he means, and what plans Kars has in store for you?
I assume he means for us to do one of a few things
>Master our Berserk powers to the fullest and gain a power beyond the Gods
>Become the prophesied Super Saiyan God and assume the mantle of God of Destruction
>Transcend our current physiology somehow and become "perfect" as well
Has Kars managed to mimick the Saiyan body and figure out the Super Saiyan Transformation?
Can he go Blue?
Can we come up with a better name for it than Blue?
>>
>>4162549
Ah, I see Kara sees all the gods as incompetent and wishes to replace them with mortals he finds as better suited. He probably wants Karn to be the GoD do to our wrath and beserker form, along with being one of the few to impress him. How close am I GD?

Can Kars finally explain how all these squares make a circle though? I mean he does have to have like at least 10 IQs.

>>
>>4162562
Is Kars’ cock bigger than ours?
>>
>>4162726
I'm gonna assume so, but not naturally and that irks the shit out of him.
>>
It's really quite simple, Kars wants to be this universes Supreme Kai, but given his views on the current deities he probably is dissatisfied with Beerus as the current God of Destruction. So he wants Karn to grow in power and be the new God of Destruction, someone he feels has the potential to match him and push him to even greater heights. Dude basically just said he wants us to be his eternal rival, in DBZ that shit is almost marriage proposal levels.
>>
>>4162882
shit that means hes gotta fight friezabro for the spot, and i don't favor his chances all things considered.
>>
>>4162900
Alternatively we hand the GoD spot to Frieza since he's already doing Beerus' job.
That'd leave us plenty of time to become the strongest mortal in multiverse.
Darth Karn will settle for nothing less.
>>
Find the 3 embodiments of the Force and usurp them, we become the new embodiments of the Light Side, Dark Side, and Balance. Effectively becoming the conduit for all living energy in the universe
>>
>>4162966
i'm not convinced strongest mortal is good enough considering SKoT is a thing and she still needs to be dealt with, and mind you SKoT is full well willing, and able, to kill entire timelines worth of GoD's, Supreme Kais and Zeno's. we need to get stronger then that or everyone karn gives a shit about will inevitably die to her hand.
>>
>>4163003
If my memory serves correctly didn't SKoT basically give up on us and decide we were *that* timeline she was refusing to get involved in at all any more and probably is just pretending doesn't exist right now?
>>
>>4163010
yeah i'm not of the opinion she will keep her word as shes only leaving us alone while shes busy with the rest of the council. she has explicitly gone out of her way to point out how she actively wants us dead multiple times and has not once acted like an even remotely reasonable being. Of course if the rest of chat wishes to keep karn satisfied on this false peace theres not much i can do about it, but this is my opinion.

“Wait, what?” you ask, confused. “A god? Me?”
“Surely you’re aware of the legend. The legend of the Super Saiyan God?” he asks, your jaw dropping. How could he know about such a thing? Does the Supreme Kai know, is that how he’s heard of it? Or did he meet Beerus the Destroyer? Better play this safe for now.
“I’ve heard of it.” you reply to him, carefully neutral.
“Oh, there’s no need to be so modest. You’ve done much more than that, now haven’t you.” he thinks back, somehow menacingly. “I know that you’ve seen it, even fought against one before.”
“What?” you finally reply, after several moments of stunned, akward silence.

“Boy, there’s no point in trying to keep secrets from me.” Kars says, suddenly appearing before you once more. For a single instant you see the afterimage of his golden Stand, it fading as you wonder where he was hiding? “I am ancient beyond your comprehension, and have powers you couldn’t begin to understand. I simply gazed into your mind, and witnessed a tremendous battle in your past. You’ve faced such a being before, a mortal who took the power of the gods. So I want to know: how does my own power compare?”
“Wha-?” is all you can say, as suddenly a familiar, blazing aura bursts out around Kars. Like a burning flame, his aura looks eerily familiar to that of a Super Saiyan God. And just as with that damn Time Patroller, you cannot sense Kars’s ki at all. And as soon as you have the thought, unbelievable pressure slams into you. Just like when you’d tried to train at Future Chaya’s level of gravity, the pressure is even more intense than Ace’s, even when he went from red to blue. What the hell? “S-So intense!”

“So, which is it?” he asks you. “Is my power greater than that wannabe god’s?”

Well? What do you say?
>Just agree with him, say what you think he wants to hear.
>Answer as honestly as you can, you can’t truly sense his power to measure it
>Tell him Ace was a lot stronger than you, but to know for sure you’ll have to fight him too

“Honestly? I can’t tell.” you say to him as honestly as you can. “I can’t feel divine ki at all, so I can’t really measure your strength to his.”
“Hrmm, I see.” he says, aura rapidly fading as he sighs out. “Such a shame. Perhaps next time, I shall be able to test my power against yours firsthand. Kai Kai.”

And with that, he’s gone. You look around confused for a few moments, but as his energy is unsensible, he may well be all the way across the universe by now. You let your connection to New Salda’s power fade, reverting to your base form and going back to bed. You thank Tanya on your way back, patting the young soldier’s head. The rest of your sleep is peaceful, nothing else disturbing your rest. After your meeting with Kars, everything returned back to normal. You go right back to training, and for the next four more months you focus intensely on keeping your Berserker form maintained. And in the fourth month, you finally get a clear sign of your mastery’s progress.

“What the hell?” you mutter, as your room seems far smaller than usual. It takes you several drowsy moments before you realize what’s happened: you are still in your Berserker form! After seven months, you’ve finally done it! Your body has become able to maintain your Berserker form even while sleeping! But later that day, while training your energy attacks, you sense several familiar powerlevels approaching New Salda. About time they arrived. You figure out where they’ll touch down, dashing over to be the first to greet them. And you are, five decorated Attack Pods crashing into the sand near the city. Five extraordinary beings emerge, posing as a group.

“Recoome!”
“Guldo!”
“Burter!”
“Jeice!”
“Ginyu!”
“And together we are, the Ginyu Force!!”

“Nice entrance.” you say, walking up to the five members of the elite mercenary team. “Long time no see, how are you all?”
“We are excellent, aren’t we men?” Ginyu calls out, his stolen Sangheili body several times stronger than you remember. The same can be said for the other members as well, each at least twice as strong as you remember them being.
“SIR!” they all shout as one, then break formation.
“Good to see you again, General.” Ginyu says, you clasping forearms with the body changer. “How have things been out here?”
“Oh, just the usual.” you reply. “Demons, ghosts, angry machines, nothing we couldn’t handle.”
“So I’ve seen.” he replies, Jeice suddenly interrupting.

“I’ll let her know.” you reply, then after a moment’s thought. “Actually, I think she’s here today, so you can tell her yourself. She said something during breakfast about training with Raditz, Bardock’s oldest boy today.”
“I’ll keep ‘at in mind.” he says.
“You’re a lot bigger than I remember.” Recoome says, you towering over both him and even Burter in your Berserker form. “Been hitting the gym that hard?”
“Mastering my transformation.” you say, briefly explaining your Berserker form. “What about you? I can tell everyone’s been working hard. Especially you Guldo. I remember the last time we met, you were as big around as you were tall, now look at you.”
“Well, I had really good inspiration to look up to.” he says to you with a grin, lifting up the sand to make a giant arm to shake yours with. “I certainly haven’t been slacking since you took me to hell. Next time we’ll finish Babidi off for good. But first, it looks like we’ve got some bugs to squash.”

“Bugs?” you ask, then remember that everyone thinks the battle will be against the Hive, not the Covenant. “Oh, right.”
“But tell me, I’ve been hearing some rumors.” Burter says. “Rumors are going around that your daughter will be leading Dreadzone’s army against them too. Is that true?”
“C’mon, you know I can’t answer that.” you say, but then say to the five of them telepathically. “She will be. And she’s been training hard too, even harder than she trained for her fight with Cero ‘Trasum.”
“Damn coward!” Ginyu shouts angrily at that Sangheili’s name. “If she wouldn’t have finished him off, I would have. But enough about that bastard, how is your own training coming along? We have been working hard as well, want to test your might against the full might of the Ginyu Force?”

Well? What do you say?

“Hell yeah, but, not today.” you say, the Ginyu Force all looking shocked. “After all my training today, I’m exhausted. Let’s do this tomorrow, when we’re all fresh. You all’ve put in hard work, I want to give you my very best!”
“If you want to be at one hundred percent, and give us everything you’ve got, we can wait for tomorrow!” Ginyu shouts, as excited as always. His men all shout with him, pumping their fists in unison. So you take them all back to your ship, each member bringing their Attack Pod and storing them inside your ship’s former engine room. As you catch them up on everything that’s happened, you lead them to the Mess Hall and enjoy a large meal made by Silver and his people with your friends. You set them up for the night in another one of your ship’s currently-empty rooms, you going to bed and getting another night’s sleep. The next morning you’re up early, dressed and ready to go. You walk out of your ship, meeting the Ginyu Force who’re already out and stretching on the sandy beach.

“And eight, nine, ten!” Ginyu says, shouting out to his men who all rise back up at once. “Good morning, General Karn!”
“Mornin’ Ginyu, you guys all ready?” you ask, stretching and rolling your right shoulder. You’d awoken once more in your Berserker form, and for this match you’d left both your sword and hammer on the ship. They’re your friends, you’re not aiming to maim them. Your children and wife are all here watching, preparing to witness this match. “Alright then, let’s go!”
“How do you want to do this?” Ginyu asks you. “Do you want to battle us one at a time, in groups, or all at once?”

“Heh. Is that even a question?” you ask, taking your fighting stance. “Bring it on, I’ll take all five of you on at once!”
“Now that’s the spirit!” Ginyu shouts, flaring his dark purple aura up around him. The other four members all do the same, their many-colored auras all blasting up. You do the same, your green Berserker aura flaring up higher than your five opponents’. “Ginyu Force! Attack!”
“YES SIR!!” they all shout in unison, and the battle begins.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=OmH_wUt2o6g

“SHYAAAAA!!” Burter roars, the Ginyu Force’s fastest member reaching you first. You deflect his right fist with your left forearm, swinging for his jaw with your right. But he’s knocked aside by Ginyu, crossing his Sangheili arms and taking the brunt of your attack for his teammate
“Guh!!” Ginyu shouts, knocked back by your fist as a storm of red energy blasts begin raining down at you.
“Barrier!” you shout, throwing your arms wide and activating your energy shield. Jeice’s powerful blasts all explode against your shield, but as your arms are now spread wide, a sudden spear of ice launches through it right for your chest! “SHIT! HRRYAAAA!!”

You flip backwards, shattering the frosty spear with a kick as you deactivate your Barrier and launch backwards.

“Gotcha!” Recoome roars, launching into a barrage of powerful strikes. You’re forced onto the defensive, blocking the powerful assault. Despite his greatly-improved speed and power, you’re still several times stronger. But as you block each of his blows, Burter joins in, the two launching into an extremely well-coordinated assault. With Recoome’s power and Burter’s speed, you’re forced fully onto the defensive. You can withstand the two of them, but when Ginyu himself joins in you begin to lose ground. Despite the power gap, trying to block that many attacks is a tall order.

“Jeice, Guldo!” Captain Ginyu shouts, the three fighting you all leaping away from you at once. But as they do, a massive combined blast of ki is blasting right at you.
“HAAAA!” you shout, launching an Energy Javelin. Your spear pierces into the attack, detonating it short of you. It kicks up a wall of smoke, hiding the five of them from your sight. With a surge of power you flare your own energy up, blasting the smoke away.

“GINYU FORCE!” Captain Ginyu shouts, purple energy gathered overhead. But the other four members all dash to him, combining all their energies with his own and creating an absolutely massive ball of ki. “ULTIMATE BOMBER!”
Well, that’s new. You’re gonna have to stop that before it hits your planet, else this could go really poorly for both you, and New Salda.

Did they just unironically throw a planet destroying attack at New Sadala? Is this an act of treason? Because Karn has had it up to the edge of the universe with the Covanent's surprises. I am unreasonably angry now, did they actually assassinate captain Ginyu replace him with an identical split jaw and have him lead the rest of the boys to ultra heresy. This action will not go unpunished, this is the last fucking straw, all of the planets in the empire will not even be given the chance to fight, we will nuke every Covenant world we see from obit in quick succession only ceasing the genocide to fuck our wife and sleep, their legacy will be an asteroid belt several systems wide. We will have another child that we will name after the first world we annihilate in order to commemorate the occasion of us making them fucking pay. We will arrange the rubble of a hundred world into a picture of Meloka doing Goatse with her pussy. We will destroy everything that those Dinosaur necked worm motherfuckers have ever even thought of and then defile what's left. This is beyond a declaration of war this is shitting in our wife and fucking on our lawn levels ofm personal insult. When we get to high charity I will personally advocate for the Prophets to have barbed poles shoved up their urethrae and have them bolted to the outside of the depopulated city, forever screaming with the agony of destroyed cocks frozen in the void until the end of time. If we find out that SKoT is responsible for this then I will make sure that the impending time patrol holocaust makes the original look like a fucking joke. We will drown that Pink Midget in a pool filled with Clorox and Boi's tears while Future Chaya brutally ass rapes him with a strap-on with his girlfriend watching.

Yes. And no, as they can fully control it. It won’t detonate unless all five decide to, and they wouldn’t unleash such a dangerous attack without full confidence you can stop it.

Looking at PL Pastebin.

Meloka has surpassed us in Base PL now. 20.006 Million to our 19.75 Million.

General PL Gains for our kids buuuuutttttttt.

Caulifla unlocked something called Super Cali thats different from her base SS form.

Maz and Kayle have both unlocked False Super Saiyan.

General PL Gains for our allies, with Primal Vegeta hitting basically 35 Million.

We got the news with Nappa and Bardock already.

Tunnip unlocked SS3.

Turles is still a fuckin lightweight.

Our B7 Droid got turned into a Super B7, went from 322,800 to 16,140,000.

Freeza has been getting Gains Again. His First Form is at 7,785,000, Forth Form is 934,230,000, but Suppressed Golden is at 46.7 Million.

Kakarot unlocked SS2.

Thats it for now.

B7 is pic related, the still-living original Saldaman.

Absolute lad.
That settles it, he's at the very least getting some armor and a rank (provided he can pass a few tests of course)
>>
>>4165692
It’s how he’s been built. They weren’t exactly programmed with free will. But the fact he’s still alive, while hundreds of other Saldamen have come and gone. And yes, he’s still very protective of his home.

Awesome. His first mission is of upmost importance and could single-handedly prevent the destruction of the entire Saiyan race.
He needs to walk Camali and water the plants while we're out on campaign.
But really we should see about setting him up with Cui so he can get some field experience.

QM UPDATE

Alright, news time! First, episode 125 will NOT run this weekend as I’ll unfortunately be too busy to QM. Second, the Chaya epilogue is already more than one post in. And third, we have another piece from @Robo_sama in the works. This one is more of his sort of work, and will probably not be posted here in-thread due to this being a blue board. So once it’s done, I’ll be posting it on the quest twitter for all to see.

QM UPDATE

As of right now, it looks like this week’s epilogue may not be done until this Friday evening. So we have that to look forward to. Other than that, I’ll have another epilogue out sometime next week. Not sure what I’ll be doing for that one yet, so if you have anything in particular you’d want to see after this upcoming Chaya and Raditz epilogue let me know. Also, the next piece is coming along rather well, spoiler for those interested
>>
>>4171554
It'd be cool to see any possible shenanigans either Bardock or that first non-friend Super Saiyan we sparred with has been up to, I don't recall her name
>>
>>4172521
>Bardock
Could be interesting, as he’s been working more with Vegeta and Nappa. Despite his distaste for the late King Vegeta, this King Vegeta he gets along with rather well.
>Super Saiyan
You mean Cele? Pic reated? Hmmm

QM UPDATE

Just a reminder, there will be no episode this weekend. Also, this first epilogue is taking a bit longer than expected to write, so unfortunately it won’t be ready until sometime late tomorrow.

I'm a speed-reader and probably glazed over a few details.
I know the actual conflict is going to take the fight to the Covenant, but don't we still have to go and exterminate the Hive first?
Or do they not have a capital planet?

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 124 Epilogue-

AGE 748, DREADZONE STATION

“Thanks for comin’ along.” you say to Raditz, the two of you walking along the halls of your home arena. You are Chaya: Dreadzone Champion, Super Saiyan, daughter of Karn and Meloka, and oldest sister of your many siblings. “I really appreciate it.”
“Hmph. Don’t mention it.” he says dismissively, you taking a quick step ahead of him with your arms behind and peering at his face. You notice a slight blush in his cheeks, giggling at the older Saiyan boy’s embarassment. He grumbles at you, turning his head with another harrumph. But if he didn’t like you teasin’ him, he wouldn’t still be here. At least, that’s what his Momma Gine told you in secret one day after the two of you finished trainin’ one day.

“Chaya, where are you?” Shellshock calls on your scouter, you reaching a hand up and answering him.
“On my way to the arena now.” you reply. “Something wrong?”
“A lucky hit took the ‘Emerald Sage’ down early, moving your spot up a few minutes.” he tells you. “Hurry up, or you’ll be late!”
“Alright, I’m going!” you reply, turning off your scouter and turning back to Raditz. “I’ll see you when I’m done, ok?”
“Yeah yeah, hurry u-“ he starts, you reaching up and poking him on the nose.
“Boop!” you say with a giggle, flying off as he stands there, grumbling under his breath. But you can’t sit around and listen, dashing over to the arena. As usual you don’t take the doors, flying up to the open roof and taking it all in. Your people are cheering for one of this season’s up-and-comers; a long-eared blonde man wielding a transforming gun, and has a pet weasel on his shoulder for some reason. You watch as he destroys a pair of the large, shielded 70mm Stalker Turrets with his cannon, your crowd cheering him on.

“He’s the one.” you mutter to yourself, the weasel celebrating his friend’s win. Each season, there’s at least one contestant you have to defeat. Your fans always cheer on one, building up one competitor for you to take down. And after Cero ‘Trasum, it seems this long-eared man is gonna be your next big opponent. But after watching him fight, and getting a measure of his power, you’re not too worried. While his weapon is flashy for the crowd, it doesn’t pack a big enough punch to hurt you. So when

“And now, ladies and gentlemen, you’re in for a treat tonight!” Dallas shouts, as one of the dropships lands and takes away the long-eared man. It files up to you, the pilot handing you your microphone for the performance. As you grab it in your free hand, the other holding your greatsword, the nerves set it. Are you really gonna do this? In front of everyone?
>>
>>4175748
“Hey kiddo, you’re looking a little nervous up there.” your grandpa Tatsu thinks to you. “Everything okay?”
“Y-Yeah, I’m fine.” you reply, taking a deep breath to try and calm yourself down. It’s finally happening! “Where are you?”
“Oh, you’ll see me in the crowd.” he replies, you sensing for his ki. Which you find almost immediately, as his power dwarfs everyone else’s nearby but Raditz, the two of them sitting together. “Good luck Chaya.”
“Thanks!” you reply, ending the telepathic communication. Time to get serious! You tap your scouter, pulling up the live feed to the lyrics that Shellshock set up, just in case you forget them.

“Put your hands together for your champion, the one and only Chaya!!” Dallas shouts, you taking a deep breath then launching your sword straight down. Your mighty weapon slams into the arena floor point-first, you slowly dropping through the air and landing on the pommel.
“CHAYA! CHAYA! CHAYA!” your crowd chants, all your nervousness and worry fading away to nothing. The cheers of your crowd are invigorating, confidence swelling inside you. This is YOUR arena, you can do this!

“Hello everyone!” you call into the mic, the cheers exploding. You wait a few moments for them to lull before continuing, basking in the glow of your fans’ cheering. “Today I’m gonna be doin’ somethin’ special, just for you! I’ve never done this in front’a anyone before, so I’m a little nervous. So if I mess up, just go with it okay?”

Again they cheer, but you hear the rumblings of confusion amongst them. You point straight up, the cue to start the music.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=WcA6oUJZ8v0

”Stay close, move fast. The darkness cannot last! No hope, no path. But we've got a dream to catch!” you begin singing, right on your cue. For the past three months, in addition to your own training, you’d also been working on singing with the music. And your teacher was really nice, especially for a robot. She taught you how to dance to it as well, but that’s for another time maybe. Right now you’re focused on not messing up your words, standing on your sword and singing into the microphone with all you’ve got. “As sun seeks day, we'll find our way! And we'll catch that dream together someday soon; we're rising like the moon!!”

Finishing the first song you’re ready to roll right into the second one, once the last few notes play out, but you have to wait. Because the stands are going absolutely wild, cheering harder than you’ve heard in awhile. So you lower the microphone, leaning your head back and closing your eyes, simply soaking in the cheers of your adoring fans.
>>
>>4175750
As they continue to cheer, you glance towards your grandpa and Raditz. With the entire crowd standing and cheering you’re not surprised to see your grandpa standing as well, and when your eyes meet he nods and smiles to you.

“Good job.” the expression says, no telepathy needed. But as the audience’s cheering finally begins to die down, you signal the start of the next song. And as the music starts, almost as if by magic, everyone goes silent. Everyone except for you, and as you finish singing your heart out on the second song, a familiar presence reaches out to you.
“Hey big sis, I found Daddy!” Caulifla thinks to you. “He’s listening now!”
“Thanks Cauli.” you reply, beginning the third song. You give it your all, losing yourself to the music and giving it your all. As the third song finishes, you give it a minute for the crowd’s roaring to die down before signaling the final song.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=3B0W8WjZHYs

The music starts, you singing the long, drawn-out opening note before flipping the switch on your microphone that changes your voice. It still sounds wierd to you, even as you enter the second verse.

“Come at me, and you’ll see: I’m more than meets the eye!
Kick my ass? I’m world-class, and Super Saiyan now!”

Aa you reach those lyrics you transform, golden aura enveloping you as you continue the song. The audience goes wild, you singing at full volume to match their intensity. You sing out the fourth and final song with all your heart, and when it’s finally done you drop the mic, sighing out in relief. Your crowd roars in approval, you leaning back and drinking it in. This is what you live for, the roaring of your crowd and the thrill of performing well. And although you’d never sang to your adoring fans before, it was certainly a rush. So you wave to them all, then grabbing your sword and yanking it free of the arena floor you lift off once more into the air. Once outside the arena you make a mad dash back towards your quarters. Not that you’re against meeting with fans, but after something like that you need some time to cool down. Don’t want any more adrenaline-fueled accidents like that last one.

“WAAAA HAAAA HAAAA! Now that was a show!!” Shellshock bellows as you walk through the door. And you see he’s not alone.
>>
>>4175753
“That was an excellent performance, for a beginner.” your smug robo-lady singing coach says. You see miss Courtney Gears is standing beside her boyfriend, another ex-exterminator like Shellshock. And also like Shellshock he’s a massive robot with a giant reactor in his chest. “With a little work, I can make an idol out of you yet.”
“If anyone can, it’s you dear.” the hulking ex-Exterminator Reactor says, rather meekly before turning to you. “Not to disparage your performance, very well done Chaya. I mean, Champion Chaya.”

“Thanks!” you reply cheerily, the post-performance relief leaving you feeling light as a feather. “Oh yeah, before I forget. Hey Shellshock, I’m gonna have someone stopping by later. So don’t blast him on sight, okay?”
“A boy, huh?” Shellshock asks, sounding a little different than his usual self. “Soo, what’s his name?”
“Raditz.” you reply, stabbing your sword into it’s usual hole in the ground in your greeting room slash . “Long hair, strong, kinda grumpy? You’ll know him when he shows up. I’mma go freshen up real quick!”

“Should we hold hi-?” Shellshock begins to ask, but you don’t wait to hear as you take off deeper into your quarters. Going past the three of them you enter your own personal room, tossing your armor onto your bed and stripping down. Out of your usual armor you go to the bath, running some scorching hot water to wash the nervous sweat from your performance off. You take a quick shower, noticing your chest protruding just a bit more than last time. If this keeps up, you’ll have to have new armor in a few weeks. But after shaking that thought off you get out and dry off, rushing back out to go get dressed. You’re usually one to just wear your armor, but today’s a little more special. And with help from Miss Gears, you have a brand-new outfit just for today! You dress quickly, putting on a sleeveless undershirt, vest, and shorts, along with sleeves that stay in place by buckles, and lastly a necklace she gave you. But you didn’t change your boots for anything else, as yoi still can’t understand why people wear shoes with a spike for a heel. Sure it makes some sort of weapon for a weaker woman, but when you can punch through an armored spaceship hull with a single strike you don’t see the point.

Now fully dressed, you turn to the mirror and admire yourself, spinning in place. But as you turn, you see that you’re not alone.
>>
>>4175756
“Ah! Raditz!” you say, a little embarrassed. “I didn’t hear you come in. H-How long have you been standing there?”
“Long enough.” he replies, walking over to you. “So, what’s with all this?”
“Do you like it?” you ask him, feeling a slight bit nervous. “Miss Gears picked it out for me. She said this kinda thing’s ‘in fashion’ this year.”
“It’s.... Different.” he says, you pouting a bit at this. You weren’t quite sure what you wanted him to say, but that surely wasn’t it. “It’s not you.”
“Huh?” you ask, confused. “What do you mean?”
“It’s nice, but it doesn’t fit.” he says, clearly frustrating as he struggles for words. “It’s not, like, you you. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it looks good. But those fancy clothes don’t really match who you are, y’know?”
“You think so?” you ask, turning again and looking at yourself in the mirror. “I think it’s all kinda cute.”
“Well, maybe.” he says, you turning back to see him looking away from you. You see him blushing and giggle, reaching out and grabbing his hand.

“C’mon, let’s go!” you say, pulling him along. He doesn’t resist, grumbling something under his breath as you pull him into the next room, everyone still there waiting.
“See? I told you those would look good on her.” Courtney Gears says to Reactor.
“And you were right as always, dear.” the towering ex-Exterminator says, then turns to you two. “So, where are the two of you off to?”
“Up to the box!” you reply excitedly, barely slowing down. “We got a good lineup tonight, I don’t wanna miss it!”
“Have fun you two.” Shellshock says, and something about the way he says it makes you blush a bit. But you shake your head and keep going, leading Raditz out of your room and into one of the nearby maintenance halls.
“This way.” you tell him, still pulling him along. “Normal people can’t get into these restricted areas, so we don’t have to worry about making our way through crowds.”
“I appreciate it, but...” he says, you stopping and turning to him. And his cheeks are glowing red, looking a little uncomfortable. “But can you let me go now?”

And as he asks this, you realize you’re still holding his hand. Your own cheeks start getting warmer, having not realized it. As you realize this you also notice you can feel his hand, which is rough yet warm. But as soon as you have the thought you let him go, rubbing your hand on your opposite wrist a bit nervously.

“Thanks.” he says, the air turning wierd as you both stand there akwardly. After several seconds of silence he finally speaks up. “Want to keep going?”
“Yeah, yeah let’s go.” you say, turning and leading him further into the labyrinth.
>>
>>4175762
“We’re here.” you say, coming to a stop by a nondescript door.
“Well then, let’s go.” he says, trying to reach out for the door. But you stop him, catching his wrist. “What are you doing?”
“Shhh!” you say, putting your finger to your lips. “Gotta make sure the coast is clear first.”
“Sure, okay?” he replies telepathically, you letting him go then cracking the door. Looking up and down the hall through the small opening, you don’t see anyone in the immediate area. “Is it clear?”
“Yeah, let’s go!” you reply, swinging it open and walking out. Raditz follows along, but before you can make it two steps-

FLASH

“Aaaugh, dammit!” you shout, throwing your arms up as a sudden flash of light blinds you.
“HAAAAA!!” Raditz shouts, you hearing what sounds like metal getting crushed. After your eyes readjust, you see what was some sort of reporter robot laying smashed, camera discarded. Oh shit, this isn-
“Look, it’s Chaya!” you hear from further down the hall, the opposite way you’re going to go. “Hey, Champ! Over here!”
“Shit!” you seethe under your breath a moment, grabbing Raditz once more. “C’mon, quick!”

“Who’s that with her?”
“Champ, hold up!”
“Can I have your autograph?”
“Please, you have to figh-!”

“Here, quick!” you shout, pulling Raditz to a stop and pulling a heavy door open. He goes in after flipping off the approaching crowd, you pushing him in then throwing it shut behind you. “Haaaah! Dammit, that was close.”
“What the hell?” he asks, surprised. “What was all that?”
“Followers.” you reply, throwing the large lock then sighing out in relief as you hear pounding on the other side. “No matter where I go around here, there’s always a buncha people wanting me. I love my fans an’ all, but sometimes I just need a break.”
“So that’s why you invited me along?” he asks, you feeling something behind the question. You’re not sure exactly what, but there’s something more to his question.
“I asked you ‘cause I though we could have some fun.” you say honestly, walking past him into the Champion’s VIP room. You haven’t used it much, usually preferring to be down there at the arenas watching in person. But the seclusion up here is something you can definitely appreciate, especially times like now. “C’mon over, and let’s watch! We got some good fights on today, even Tanya’s gonna be takin’ someone down!”

You take a seat on the expansive couch, Raditz coming over a moment later and sitting near you. Not too near, just far enough that you couldn’t lunge over and grab him before he could react. You can’t help but feel a little disappointed at this, but instead of pouting you turn to the side table and grab the remote. With the press of a button the window’s screen turns on, and the speakers as well.

“And down goes Iron Boot!” Dallas shouts, you seeing the fighter dropping to a knee and clutching his gut as blood pours out of a gaping wound. Taking a direct blast from those laser turrets is too much for most weaklings, but he actually manages to stand back up. But only for a moment, as the turret fires again and slices right through his legs at the knees. He falls, one of the DZ Soldiers rushing up and stomping his head into paste as the crowd cheers. “Oooh, and that’s the end of him!”
“Such a shame, I kind of liked him.” Juanita says, camera cutting to them as the cleanup machines rush his corpse off the arena. “But I guess that’s his limit. Too bad. Next up, we have the bloody up-and-comer, the Mad Swordsman!”

“Who’s that?” Raditz asks, you relaying what you’ve learned about him. The Mad Swordsman is a shabbily-dressed, masked humanoid wielding a jagged-edged blade, and carrying more concealed blades than Chilli has magic tricks. With his wild hair, masked eyes, and relentless intensity, he’s quickly risen to being a fan-favorite. And he’s quite fast as well, surprising Raditz as he attacks the mechanical soldiers like a sword-wielding blender. They can’t keep up with him, his sword cutting through their weak points with surprising efficiency. That is, until the Spider Tank is dropped down from the air.
“Oooh, now this’ll be fun!” you say, excitement building. “Don’t blink, or you’ll miss it!”
“Miss wha-?” he asks, the madman attacking it. The tank fires it’s twin tri-barreled miniguns, the 70mm rounds tearing into the arena floor. The audience roars as he dodges between the massive shots, slicing through several of the rounds as he closes the distance. In less than a second he crossed the gap, and sliced through both of it’s front legs. As the machine falls, the Mad Swordsman leaps at the cockpit and thrusts his sword through the armored glass. “Woah!”
“Right?” you ask excitedly, smirking. “But it’s not over yet.”

And as you say this, all six mortars launch straight up into the air. He sees them, pulling his blade out as they turn and all charge for him. He crouches, waiting until the last moment before leaping up through them. The mortars strike the tank, it exploding in a fireball as the crowd roars in approval. He raises his now-bloody sword and they all cheer even louder, you smirking then turning to Raditz.

“So, whadda ya think?” you ask, your long-haired friend turning to you. Despite trying to remain stoic, you can tell he’s getting excited.
“I kinda want to get down there myself.” he says, you smiling at him.
“Oh just wait, it gets even better!” you say excitedly, then as you realize it you press a button on the remote that calls one of the robotic servants. “Hey, can you get us something to drink?”
“Of course, what would you prefer?” it asks, you pondering a moment before turning to Raditz.
“Anything special you want?” you ask him, Raditz shaking his head.
“Surprise us, oh, with something bubbly!” you say, the mechanical servant walking over to the VIP room’s bar. Raditz looks to you curiously, eyebrow raised. “What? I don’t know what they’re called, I can’t read them. But those bubbly drinks that’re back there taste really good, and make you feel even better.”

“If you say so.” he says, you both getting your drinks in the special, reinforced cups you had to have brought in. The first time you used this room, all the glassware was so fragile you couldn’t even hold onto them without destroying them. So you had brought some from home, the serving robot having to carry them one at a time as it wasn’t designed for heavy lifting. But with drinks in hand, you clink yours against his before taking the first big, fiery drink. It burns good on the way down, you sighing out as Raditz looks to you curiously.
“What?” you ask him, confused. “Something wrong?”
“No-Nothing.” he says, taking a large swig of his own. You both watch the next fight, and the one after that in comfortable silence. But after you finish your first drink, sending the serverbot back for a refill, you scoot closer to your friend as he’s absorbed watching the grizzled Trandoshan fighter and gunslinger Garnac battling against Dreadzone’s mechanical soldiers. At first he’s distracted, you getting quite close to him before he glances over, seeing how close you are. But he doesn’t say anything, returning his gaze to the fighting as the server returns with your next drink.

“Thanks.” you say, taking it gratefully and returning your attention to the battle. Garnac isn’t a fan favorite, but he is an experienced survivor. His match takes more than three times the Mad Swordsman’s did, but unlike that lanky berserker he didn’t get so much as scratched.
“He’s dangerous.” Raditz says, sounding impressed as the lizardlike Trandoshan eliminates his last opponent with a single well-placed blaster shot between the eyes. “He’s smart enough to know he’s weaker than them, so he carefully keeps control of the arena. And he knows their ranges, eliminating them in a specific order to keep the robots out of their effective range.”

“Right?!” you say excitedly, leaning closer to him. “Some people think he’s booring, but they can’t see how smrrt he’s fightin’!”
“You fight guys like him all the time?” he asks, you nodding and smile as the warmth in your belly spreads. “No wonder you’ve been able to stay one step ahead of me.”
“You should come here too!” you say, grabbing his free left hand with your right. Despite slurring your words a bit, you feel pretty good about this. “You’d do grrreat! You’d be an Esterminator for sure!”
“You say that like I wouldn’t dethrone you.” he says with a playful smirk, you giggling at him.

“Oooh yeah?” you ask him, setting your drink aside at the challenge in his voice. As Raditz sees what you’re doing he finishes his own, tossing the empty cup over the couch’s back. But before he can turn towards you fully you lunge, tackling him. You land on top of him, grabbing his wrists and pinning him to the couch under you. “Hehe, what was that? I thought you said you’d beat me?”
“I didn’t hear a bell.” he says, throwing his hips into a roll that sends you both off the edge of the couch. You roll over the ground, both you and Raditz playfully wrestling for the top spot. And within a dozen or so rolls he ends up on top of you, your faces inches apart.
“I-“ he starts, you staring right into each other’s eyes. Neither of you say a word, you feeling some force almost pulling your face closer to his. You remember seeing Momma and Daddy kissing, and sometimes Daddy and Auntie Towa too, you wondering what that feels like? Your faces get closer and closer, your noses just touching and-

“Your drink, sir.” the robot server says suddenly, you and Raditz both jumping in surprise. He quickly gets off you and takes the drink, going back to his seat on the couch. You go grab yours as well, suddenly feeling akward being so near him. The next fight passes in silence, you both sitting a little bit apart. But as you finish your second drink you turn to him, Raditz turning to you and raising an eyebrow, curious.
“I...” you start, feeling unsure a moment. But you shake your head, scooting right over next to him, legs almost touching. “I’m glad ya came today.”
“M-Me too.” he replies, smiling with more warmth than you’ve ever seen from him before. And suddenly he leans in, brushing his lips against yours for an instant before pulling back immediately. Your cheeks suddenly begin burning, you reaching up and touching your lips with your hand. As he sees your reaction, he starts to apologize. “I, ah, uhh, I’m-“
“That’s not how ya do it.” you say, grabbing his armor by the collar and pulling him right to you. “Like this!”

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 124 Epilogue II-

AGE 748, PLANET DIADO

“Aaah, now that’s the stuff!” you say, happily taking another swig of your drink. “It burns just right.”
“Commander Arctus, we have an incoming transmission from Gleeman Vox.” your B1 Battle Droid assistant you’d nicknamed Roger says. You are Arctus, distant relative of the Cold line, commander of a revived ancient droid army, and controller of three different star systems. Currently you are on Planet Diado, a cold, hostile world that is home to one of your restored droid factories. After the plans were made for the coming wars, both against the Covenant and the Hive, you’d kicked your factories into overdrive producing mechanical soldiers. Which both King Cold and Gleeman Vox were happy to pay for, after a brief demonstration and sales pitch. While your fellow entrepreneur Gleeman Vox wasn’t initially impressed by the B1 Battle Droids’ capabilities, what you could offer on the price per company blew them both away. Vox seemed very suspicious of the price at first, but as you showed them a glimpse of the factory and how swiftly you were pumping out companies of soldiers, he was sold. “Should I answer it, or-?”

“Put him on the screen.” you say from your chair, taking another pull from your bottle.
“Roger Roger.” Roger says, as the blue fish man appears on the far wall’s large holoscreen.
“Arctus, my friend, good to see you!” Vox says, radiating with his usual used spaceship salesman energy. “It has been awhile since we last talked, how is everything?”
“Moving ahe-hic-head of schedule.” you say, easily adopting your drunkard persona. “In fact, the billionth one is gonna roll outta the factory today.”
“Excellent, excellent.” he says, rubbing his flesh and metal hands together. “So, what you’re saying is, I should be able to have my people there and pick them up within the next two months?”

“Of courssh.” you say, carefully slurring your words to appear as inebriated as you’d wanted. “I’llve ‘em all rredy to go.”
“Very well.” he says, you seeing his right eye twitch in annoyance. “And I see you’re well-in your mug, I’ll leave you to it. Until next time.”
“Baaaaieeeee!” you say, waving drunkenly until the screen goes completely dark. Once Vox is gone you sigh out, turning to Roger. But as you do, on one of the screens you see something disturbing. “What’s that?”
>>
>>4184062
“Unknown vessel preparing atmospheric entry.” Roger says, preparing to re-open comms. “Should I attempt to make contact?”
“No, don’t initiate communications.” you say, Roger ‘roger roger’ing as you ponder this dilemma. This isn’t Vox’s style, so you doubt it’s him. Extending your ki senses, you feel a dozen strong beings all extremely close together approaching the planet. With you being the only other living being on-world, and sitting in the only non-natural structure protruding from the snow-covered landscape, doubtlessly they’ll be headed for you. And considering the powerlevels of those within it, you wouldn’t want to face them all at once. “Activate the force fields, and defensive energy cannons.”

“Roger roger.” your mechanical assistant says, going over the switches and flipping several of them. As it does you can almost feel your reactivated fortress humming to life, you chugging your drink then rising from your chair. “Uhh, sir? Where are you going?”
“To greet our intruders.” you reply with a devilish grin as you strap your control screen to your left wrist then put on your heavily-modified scouter. “Notify me immediately if the scanners pick up any other vessels approaching.”
“Roger roger.” Roger replies, you striding confidently from the room. He’ll contact you on your private comms channel with any updates, so you’re not worried about losing control of the situation just yet. And while your factory on this world is a verifiable fortress, it’s tech is ancient and you don’t know what you’re up against yet. Best to play it safe, and down that ship before they get too close. So you quickly make your way to the top of the factory, standing on the roof in the sub-zero cold when Roger’s voice comes in on your scouter. “The ship has made atmosphere, and is rapidly approacing from the west.”

“Alright. Standby, and prepare to send out the first battalion on my mark.” you say, closing your eyes and focusing.
“Roger roger.” your assistant replies, waiting. Remembering your lessons from deep within the abandoned temple, you focus your will on the world around you, reaching out as the ship comes into view. The obviously Covenant-make ship moving far faster than you’d expected, it flying low to the ground to try and avoid detection. But it’s already too late, you reaching out and grabbing onto the ship. Before they know what’s happening you pull straight down, and with your considerable might send it crashing down into the snow. That done you sit on the roof, taking your leff hip flask out and taking a celebratory drink as Roger’s voice arrives once more. “Unidentified flying object has crashed. Your orders?”
“Send out the First Battalion.” you reply, seeing smoke rising from the distant crash site. “Search and destroy.”
>>
>>4184070
“Roger roger.” it replies, and within a minute you hear the massive blast doors beneath you sliding open. With as cold as Planet Diado gets, the metal squealing as the built-up ice is swept away like leaves in the wind. And from your vantage point you watch as six hundred shiny new B1 Battle Droids march out into the snow, headed directly for the downed Covenant ship. Like a proud dad on opening day of Galactic Little League season, you watch as your soldiers march forward fearlessly. But as you watch, the sudden realization that you’re being too overconfident hits. So once more you focus, scouting the invaders out with your ki sense. And sure enough, the twelve of them have split into teams of four, one group defending the ship while the other two are attempting to flank your forces.

But instead of assisting the first battalion with this information; you’re content simply to watch for now, and see how they do. While you observe, you have Roger at your command station prepare the second battalion to march out as well. You want to see what your foes are capable of before personally joining the fray, and your soldiers certainly don’t disappoint. The first shot isn’t fired by one of your robots, the shot coming from somewhere near the wrecked ship. But that’s enough for them, all six hundred unleashing hell with their blaster rifles. A storm of red laser blasts are unleashed, yet as far away as they are, you can’t possibly see if they’d actually hit any of their opponents. But as they unleash a storm of energy, the eight at your troops’ sides attack. It takes several seconds of confusion before they realize what’s happening, several rows of your troops get mowed down before they can defend themselves. But once they do, your mechanical soldiers return fire with overwhelming force.

“Hmph, not bad.” you mutter to yourself, you sensing almost all of the flanking Covenant soldiers retreating from the sheer firepower leveled against them. With pride you find yourself beaming;while you can’t truly sense how those left standing are faring, your soldiers killed one of the flanking soldiers on each side. But one isn’t retreating, rushing headlong into your soldiers. And since they don’t open fire, it must be moving under the cloak of invisibility to get in close. “Tch, this could be a problem.”
“Sir?” Roger asks over comms.
“Don’t worry.” you reply, watching as the formation’s left is suddenly thrown into chaos. You still can’t see the doubtlessly-Sangheili warrior, but as it carves a path through your soldiers’ formation you feel it’s ki dropping by the second. Seems it has taken some sort of mortal wound, and chose to go out fighting. “Have you readied the second battalion yet?”
>>
>>4184075
“Yes sir.” Roger says in your ear, as you feel the Covenant soldier’s ki finally vanish and letting it pass on. “Shall I send them forth?”
“Not yet.” you reply, as your soldiers re-form ranks and begin marching forth again. “But keep them readied to go.”
“Roger roger.” he says, you watching as the battle continues. Despite your soldiers having lost roughly half of their number, they continue pressing on without fear. Once more the four defending their ship open fire, and once more your soldiers return fire with overwhelming force. You have to begrudgingly respect those defending their ship, as they mow down your troops with ruthless efficiency. But the sheer number of blasts coming overwhelms them, you feeling them fall one by one until those defending the ship have all been killed. Well, all but one. You can sense the last survivor’s ki dropping swiftly, he won’t last much longer. And without further resistance your remaining hundred or so mechanical soldiers march right up to the crashed Covenant ship. Then you sense it, they’re going to all be destroyed!

When you’d begun your training in the abandoned temple on Raxus Prime, the spectral teachers had opened your mind to the ways of the Force. It exists in all things, and in past, present, and future simultaneously. Those sensitive to the living Force can sometime receive visions, either of past or future events. And you see, moments before it happens, that the Covenant wreck is a trap.

BOOM

The Covenant warship explodes in a fiery blast, consuming your soldiers and leaving none standing. A few seconds later the shockwave hits, you gritting your teeth and bracing against it. Where your last soldiers were standing and the downed ship lay, now only a smoking crater remains.

“Arctus, sir! The first battalion has been eliminated!” Roger shouts in your ear. “Shall I send the second battalion?”
“There’s no need.” you reply, popping your neck then clenching your fists. “I’ll take care of the stragglers myself.”
“Roger roger.” your assistant replies, you focusing on your ki. Or rather, the barrier deep inside keeping you from your full power. And with a primal war cry, you tear down that wall and ascend to your true form.

“GRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, pure white aura blazing bright around you as your shell shatters. Your true body expands out, growing and stretching to your full height as the thick armor plates sprout from your flesh. After a few seconds it’s over, you sighing out in relief before opening your eyes. “Alright. My turn.”
