You are Ushi Walker, the half-japanese/half-american wielder of the mighty quirk “Everything is Bigger in Texas", one of U.A. High's first year students,Class 1-A Vice President and apparently, a concussion collector.

Nothing anyone can blame you for, with the exercise being a race and all, going fast was the goal!

Well, that and 'rescuing' All Might, wherever he awaits for your team within the factoryscape that is Field Gamma, which was the part you slipped, crashed and busted your nose on.

At several dozens of miles per hour. Against All Might's chest.

Suffice to say, you are kind of dizzy, bleeding out of your nose and not entirely convinced that hitting the brick wall behind him would have been any worse.

But even as you hold on to your dripping nose and wait for your brain to settle back down, you have more pressing issues to attend to, as Bakugo continues to argue with All Might, undaunted by the fact that he's talking back to his teacher and Japan's No. 1 Hero at the same time.

>"Here!" Bakugo says as he swings you by the belt, trying to get All Might to put the sash around your neck instead of his, with his voice letting you know of his frustration, even if he's not swearing. "It was a race! What does it matter if she crashed into the finish line!?"

Yeah, being swung around like a ragdoll isn't helping your headache either.

"You see, Young Bakugo, it was a Rescue Race!" The hero tries to explains, giving the angry boy a one armed hug. His cheerful demeanor as he explains feels like the polar opposite to Bakugo's barely contained anger, especially as he scrambles away from the hug. "While Young Walker there managed to outspeed you and the rest of the competition and show her new skills, it doesn't qualify for the rescue part of the exercise."

"Ngo… Hol' up." You try to say, sounding far to nasal for obvious reasons before sniffling for a bit, clearing your nostrils. "Okay, first, let go of me."

You aren't even surprised when Bakugo simple lets go of your belt, letting you fall rear up on the floor before you quickly pick yourself up, dusting your hands and costume off.

"...Thanks!" You say, looking at the pissed of boy glaring at you and the massive hero, who takes a step back when he notices you looking at him, forcing you to perform an awkward lunge to take the price off his hand and offering it to Bakugo. "Ah'm gonna trust All-Might on what counts as a save. Ah flubbed the landin' and got disqualified, Ah can own up to it. You can have the scarf."

>"I don't care! Just keep the stupid thing!" He says, not quite yelling. More frustrated than angry, if you had to guess.

Even though the rest of the team hasn't gotten there yet and thus you aren't really losing any time, you still roll your eyes at his hardheadedness. You aren't in the mood to pick a fight over something so amazingly stupid.

"...Fine. Ah'll take the dang thing and stuff and save it for when you grow up!" You tell him, folding the sash into a small square, then shrinking it further and shoving it into one of your belt pouches with contempt.

The atmosphere then becomes rather heavy, with both you and Bakugo crossing your arms and looking away from each other, casting a dark cloud over the rest of the team as they arrive, lasting up to All Might's dismissal.

"Well! We may not have a winner… Ha!" The hero says, placing his hands on his hips and throwing his head back for a short chuckle, seemingly amused by the silliness of Bakugo's antics. "Keep that flame of competition alive and keep practising! All of you have demonstrated how much you have grown in your short time since your first day here at U.A., not only shoring up your weaknesses, but discovering new ways to apply your quirks!"

>"As the darkness without beckons the darkness within, so must I steel my resolve, lest it breaks free once more." Fumikage laments under his dirty cloak, having gotten there shortly after you and Bakugo despite having managed to swing within the dark underbelly of the maze at even higher speeds than anyone else.

"You just… Dark Shadow crushed a couple pipes, sugar." You point out, pinching the bridge of your nose. "No one died."

>"This time." He retorts with a grim nod.

>"Oh mon ami, you can't go on to the public with such a luguber mood!" Aoyama comments, smiling and sparkling even as sweat rolls down the side of his face, keeping a hand over his abdomen with one side of his shining armor not shining as much anymore, being scuffed to hell from his fall. "I think we did very well… Especially considering the competition."

>"Yeah! Sometimes being flashy isn't everything y'know!" Ochaco comments, raising her clenched fist over her head with enthusiasm. Despite arriving last, she looks the best out of all of you, having run steadily and weightlessly over the pipes. "Sometimes just sticking the landing is enough."

You are caught unaware by the jab, not even being sure if it was a jab at all under her smile, but All Might doesn't quite give you the time to stare around.

"Now keep at it and start thinking of the end-of-term exams!" All Might says, dismissing you all to make room for the next team.

You keep your arms crossed and tight until the last two teams have their go.

The only surprise between both races are that Tsuyu outmaneuvered Shoto and that Momo placed 4th. You wonder if her underwhelming internship had something to do with it.

The last race is the closest one of them all. Also the lengthiest, as no one seems particularly suited for speed. While Kirishima did indubitably beat the rest of his team, the exciting part ends up being between Denki and Kyoka for the 4th place, with Toru doing her best at the last place.

It's only a couple of minutes before class ends and you need to go change, back in the usual changing room. One of the places at school you are both expected to get your clothes off and can be safe doing so, the others being the other changing rooms with showers.

You kinda wish you had one of those assigned instead.

>"I still can't believe I got stumped that ba-a-ad!!" Mina says as she takes off her jacket and throw it on a bench with prejudice. "No one was meant to just go flying around like that!"

>"Hey, you just need to get a better handle on climbing! Look at me!" Toru says, her gloves pointing at what seems to be her biceps, then her legs in general. "See this? I'm just skin and and bone! I don't even know where to start!"

>"Hmm… Yeah, that's kinda hard." Mina replies, pulling down her bodysuit. "Don't try to go too hard at the start, stretch a lot and… Dunno, Ushi?"

"Uh? Oh yeah, start small but keep it constant, and stop when it starts to hurt, then try that again later until you can." You say, having been caught taking off your own suit, showing your bare abs and everything above them, with nothing but your long hair falling over what must remain covered, you take the chance to extend your arms and flex. "Then go harder, bigger and heavier and never, ever stop."

>"Eh, I don't think I want to go full skullcrusher… I aim for cute, you know? Soft." Toru asks, and you barely stop yourself from stating that no, you really don't know.

>"Yeah, no need to get on a 12000 calories diet to bench press a building." Ochaco comments, sucking in her gut, then letting her belly free. "Just… gotta get a bit firmer and learn to use it!"

>"Hers is just another kind of cute, just… tighter." Momo interjects, having just finished disassembling her belts and bookshelf, her own bodysuit still skintight without them. "Not something I can even try though, I need to remain, as you call it, soft."

Considering everyone else is also only half in costume or half in uniform, it wasn't weird, it even let you compare yourself with everyone else with just a glance. Mina, for example, looks like a gymnast, tight and taut as a bowstring all around, while Tsuyu's thighs would put everyone else in the room to shame, but her arms have little extra muscle.

>"It checks out!" Mina quickly adds, reaching for both of you and sliding an arm under yours, squeezing your breasts, then moving down to your serratuses before letting go at Momo's first glare, not pushing her luck. "Damn… You should grab Momo too, Ushi! there's pretty tight stuff under the squish."
>>
>"...Thanks?" The class president asks, then looks at you. "Should I take that as a compliment?"

However you have a hard time paying attention to that, noticing a bright spot on the wall by the lockers. A hole.

Judging by Kyoka's silence, furrowed brow and her jack slowly stabbing the drywall over it, it's clear you aren't the first to notice.

She then turns to face all of you.

>"Mineta's talking, about the hole." She whispers as said boy's excited voice starts getting loud enough for you to hear, even if you can't make out the words.

It's all it took for the others to start hurrying and cover themselves with whatever pieces of costume and uniform they had at hand, even Toru rushes to puts on her gloves

You could swear you can feel all the blood on your body go to your face, and it all must have taken the time to gather all the resin your skeleton produces, because with the heat you feel on your face and the steam going off your nose with every breath now, you wouldn't be much surprised if you started spitting fucking napalm.

>What do you do?

Also, where did this idea that cows have bad hearing come from? When I looked it up, it seemed like they had good hearing since they kind of evolved to depend on it. They have sensitive ears with more than twice the auditory frequency range of humans.

They can see color too. Not sure how that myth got started either.

Yisun, forgive me this violence I am about to commit.

Could we just fill the room with a smokescreen of mist? Sure, but it’s about sending a message.
>>
>>4170414
Ushi is just personally a tad hard of hearing. Nothing about her mutations there, she's just the kind of girl to forgo hearing protection when shooting, holding cards between her teeth for whip tricks and cause the occasional sonic boom around herself.

She also has pretty good eyes.
>>
>>4170423
Oh, okay. That makes sense. I had somehow picked up that it was attributed to her cowness.

The seeing color thing was just contradicting the myth that bulls in bullfighting don't perceive what color the cape is, which itself is contradicting the idea that bulls inherently get angry at the color red in particular.

Just a related tangent. I don't think Ushi's ever been implied to have anything other than human vision.

To everyone voting for punch a hole through the wall, are we ok with not just Mineta getting a much better look at our naked selves, but Bakugo, Iida, Deku and the rest of the boys getting eyes on us and the rest of the girls? [spoilers]And, you know, vice versa.[/spoilers] If we punch a hole through the wall, everyone is gonna be able to see through, so unless we want all the girls to get dressed first before we do this, it may scare Mineta but it’s gonna give the rest of the boys a hell of a view.
>>4170089

But, with that said, a far-to-late >[Write in. Knock on the wall and loudly declare that Mineta is peeping and whichever boy takes care of him can have a private show instead.] because I am quite sure that the minor concussion and the peeping is gonna set off Ushi’s flirtatious defense.

>Once you punch Mineta shrink down and investigate how the hole was made, you need to know who is responsible
To quote some autistic motherfuckers
Signs of fluid erosion from the girls side of the wall and small acid marks on the floor: Mina
Large drill markings: Kaibara or possibly Mei depending on the size of the grooves and how they match up to the drills in question
Random Cracking: it could either be Todoroki freezing and thawing a small amount of water dozens of times to slowly eat into the concrete wall, or Kinko using a similar erosion tactic with mushrooms there would however be clear distinctions from each type with the ice based erosion causing more damage
Zig-Zags: by wedging a small dark shadow's beak into the wall and throttling it's body to create leverage Tokoyami could snake dark shadow into the wall, getting more and more leverage until it was able to push over to the other side
Random scratch marks on the inside of the hole: By hardening his finger and oscillating it against the wall Kirishima could over the course of several weeks grind and opening into the wall, because his hardening creates different jagged edges each time he solidifies himself the pattern would be very inconsistent, T4 is unable to preform this trick because his body is mostly smooth and would not be able to generate the friction needed to grind into the wall
Scorch marks and uneven pockets: by smearing small amounts of his sweat onto the wall Bakugo could use a series of incredibly small explosions to start digging into the wall with each one allowing him to place the explosive charge deeper in

Making a superhuman effort and taking a calming deep breath, you stay yout shaking hands for the sake of your faith in humanity, trying to keep your temper in check as you scoot closer to the perforated wall, hitting it with your shoulder and placing your ear against it, trying to pay attention.

"...That. Low. Ah-Ah need to hear it mahself." You mutter, both explaining to the other girls why you aren't scrambling to dress up and to further calm your frayed nerves.

>"...know what's there, right?" Mineta asks, disturbingly happy. That's never a good sign. "It's THE GIRLS' CHANGING ROOM!!!"

Yep, that's Mineta. With him, happiness is a zero sum game, the happier he gets, the more miserable the closest gals are about to be.

...Uh?

>"STOP THAT NOW!!" You hear Iida interfere, telling him something you are sure Mineta has been told many times before. "PEEKING COUNTS AS A MAJOR OFFENSE!"

You are pretty sure groping does as well, and that hasn't stopped him.

>"Yeah, well, my little friend down here's ready- READY TO GO ON THE OFFENSIVE!!!" He answers sounding more deranged by the second. "DO YOU ALL NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'LL BE MISSING? WALKER'S MASSIVE COUNTRY MILK TANKS AND YAOYOROZU'S HIGH CLASS HUGE CHEST! ASH-"

It had been a while since you had felt like this, like a piece of meat to be salivated over, manhandled and ogled at, and this time, you aren't in the mood to take it lying down…

Because it really hurts.

>"Cut that out." Bakugo says, punching the wall right where you are leaning, trying to stop him as well but not yelling like Iida, strangely enough.

>"Why!? I know you want to see them too! Bakugo!" Mineta accuses him. "You can't just chase her like a dog and leave us to dry!"

>"I just can tell when someone's about to blow up!" He replies with a growl, sounding properly mad this time and slowly pounding again on the part of the wall you are leaning on. "Get closer and the only question is gonna be what you end on the infirmary for. Shrapnel, trauma or frostbite."

>"Or burns..." Shoto adds. "Those… take quite a while to heal, if ever."

Confused, you take a brief instant to look behind you, at all the nervous and frustrated girls haphazardly closing shirts and fixing skirts… and Mina.
She just has the dopest, smuggest smile you've seen, directed at you.

That's… Strange. Not Mina, smug is her standard expression.

The fact that not one, but seemingly three boys tried to stop Minera is strange. He usually just gets away with whatever he does, with maybe a slap after the fact as a consolation prize for the victim.

You look around the room again, locking eyes with Kyoka and bringing your finger up to your lips, preemptively shushing everyone, wanting to hear more of what happens in the boy's changing room, hoping against hope that they convince him to stop.

...Then you cover the hole with your palm, because you are thinking about Mineta and you are pretty sure it would take nothing short of God himself to get him to stop without violence.

>"...It's like you guys are not even listening!" He exclaims, oddly offended by the other's decency. "EH!? IT'S BL-"

A BOOM! is then heard from the other side of the wall.

>"OOWF!!!" Mineta's wimper almost makes you wince as you put two and two together.

A Crack! and aFoosh! then follow, sounds you recognize as those of Shoto's quicky materialized ice followed by a lick of flame.

"The hotpocket treatment." You mutter, imagining what your friend did.

>"AAH! AAAAAAAH!" The shortest boy of the class screams

>"Hey! You can't do that either! No fighting in the changing rooms!" Iida interjects again, this time in Mineta's defense.

>"Shut the fuck up Glasses, didn't you just say he was committing an offense? We are doing him a favor! ...Keeping his record clean and all that!" Bakugo replies with enough aggression for it to qualify as a riposte.

>"Well, when you say it like that…" The uptight boy replies.

Whap!

...You blink and look at Kyoka again. She looks like she's about to burst out laughing, not helping you much. Did Iida really join in?

>"O-OOF!" Mineta whines some more, confirming it. "...C-come on guys, I didn't even get to see a-anything…"

>"Eh, you are getting off easy." Denki comments sounding a tad muffled, probably farther away from the wall.

>"WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN!?" Mineta asks.

You kinda wish you could see what's happening…

>"Just saying that flat out antagonizing all the girls is a bad idea." He answers, probably shrugging. You don't really know. "Just between Ashido's ability to just <Haigh> you up or Walker's… Many things, it can go really wrong. Man, can you believe she can flay you with that tongue? Incredible."

You can do that? ...Probably.

>"What." Bakugo asks. At least you think that's a question. "...How did you make this worse?"

>"What a creep..." Kyoka comments with a nod.

>"Sheesh, chill. Just saying he'll reap what he sows." Denki says.

>"Man, you are always watching too." Kirishima points out.

>"Yeah, you traitor!" Mineta joins the accusation.

>"Well, yeah. Cute girls are cute girls." Denki replies. "They all are. All the more reason to not be a dick."

Even though you can't see what's happening in there, and hope they can't see what you do here, you nod.
>>
He may not have been right for you, but you wouldn't warn other girls against him, unlike Mineta.

Don't be so rough on Mineta, he has it tough. Can you imagine having a sexual drive so insatiable and not knowing where to direct that energy into? “I did it because I was so horny” isn’t an excuse. He’s a teenager with judgement, going through puberty the same as Ushi, Denki, and everyone else is. He's not a dog hunting rats or a villain with a justified backstory.

In addition, even if I'm being too rough on him, don’t be too easy on him either; actions have consequences. And everyone’s been clear from the start how unacceptable his behavior is.

Unfortunately, showing our gratitude openly may lead to the whole thing being interpreted the wrong way, particularly by Mineta.

Oooon the other hand, Ushi isn’t from around these parts.

Given his dynamics with all three of Iida, Bakugo, and Shoto, it would be interesting to know what his take on this event is.

And by his, I mean Deku....

It's Japan, so it's just acceptable juvenile behavior! Until you graduate, then it either immediately lands you in prison or is used to blackmail you for the rest of your career.

However, don't be surprised if you get totally ostracized for your eccentric behavior and bullied a lot. And if you're acting like Mineta and still don't take the hint, be prepared to get beat up a lot by keen lads with chivalrous ideas.

Just remove it with metaphor. Use metaphor to eliminate wall. It's preventing us from looking into the future, which we will need in the off chance that we will encounter a villain. Not saying that it's related our quirk, but why the hell not? Why'll we're at it, can we crank up the difficulty on this a bit so we can unlock Donkey Kong already and make every fight trivial?

I wonder what would happen if something tried to block or vacuum up the mist that Ushi's quirk makes. Like if there were a plastic shield between her and the thing she's growing, with the shield having 5 holes just big enough for her fingers. Or if someone just has a powerful vacuum running nearby (possibly something she already tested with her mention of getting her fingers sucked into a vacuum).

Another potentially interesting use of her quirk is using it on the air to make air blasts.

Completely unrelated thought: Eraserhead would really benefit from some goggles filled with saline solution. That way he wouldn't have to blink as much and his eyes wouldn't dry out.

"Ah wonder…" You mutter as you slide your hand away from the peephole. Then you shake your head. "Nevermind."

>"What, thinking of peeking back, Ushi?" Kyoka asks, pulling her jack jack off the wall.

"Well, Ah mean… Ah just… Ah'm not gonna!" You mumble back for a second, flustered at having been caught thinking about it despite having decided not to go through with it and angry at the accusation. "Ah just wanted to see what happened!"

>"Hey, chill, me too." She replies with a shrug. "It's not the same if you don't get to see him get his just desserts… But I don't want him to think it's okay to try again because we did it."

"...It's not like he wouldn't do it anyway if he could." You point out with a sigh, looking at the hole itself for a second before turning around. "Momo, sugah, can ya plug up this here hole? That way it won't be a problem later."

>"Gladly. I would have done so anyway." The class president replies, pulling a trowel out of her still not fully buttoned uniform. "It's sad to think this will keep happening, and more so that we'll never be vigilant enough..."

For your part, you knock on the wall.

"Hey, thanks for that!" You let the boys know. Despite how tired you are of the day, you are still glad to hear them take action, especially because it didn't affect them.

>"It was our duty!" You hear Iida shout back from the other side of the wall.

>"...Man, you just... joined in at the last minute." Kirishima points out. "Actually, I think it was after he was down. Not cool."

>"The pervert is always down anyway." Bakugo comments, sounding like he's getting away.

After dressing up and staying an extra minute or two to accompany Momo as she fixes the wall, you head out for the famous arch of U.A. also known as the front gate, from where you can go spend the rest of the afternoon doing… Things.

Thus, you stand under the arch, thinking of what to do now.

There's lots of things to do, really.

Tin's still damaged, you still are supposed to go train at Shoto's home and you still don't know nearly enough about your cute little cousin at home, which must be some sort of crime for older cousins or something, there are friends in sight you could hang out with...

Your head and wrist are still sore and now you have to think.

"AGH!" You growl, frustrated, stomping in place and kicking a small cloud of dirt with the tip of your shoe.

And then, AND THEN, someone bumps into you, almost toppling you and prompting you to turn around fast enough to almost give yourself whiplash.

"The arch! The <dang thing> is like thirty feet wide!" You snap, huffing, and glaring at the boy. Then you see it's Bakugo. "...And you did it on purpose, didn't you?"

Two weeks ago, you wouldn't have even considered giving Daisy the time of the day…
But Bakugo doesn't seem so bad right now. Some of the best parts of your day so far, in fact.

Although that might be due to how freaking much your day has sucked.
...Which, after a second of consideration, makes the offer all the more enticing.

“That...actually sounds really good. Ah just can’t do it today…" You tell him, noticing his cocky smile turn into an annoying scowl. It's not your problem, but you explain yourself anyway. No need to be rude to him either. "So… How 'bout we set it up for Tuesday or Thursday? Ah've got training today and Wednesday.”

For a brief second he looks like he's about to storm off, but then he grabs his chin, thinking for a second.

>"You are going to Icyhot's place, right?" He says as a question, but it doesn't feel like it.

"Kinda. Ah ain't gonna go hang out with him, just trainin' under Endeavor." You reply with a sigh, blowing off a puff of steam up to your bangs. "Ah mean, Shoto will be there, but Ah'm really gonna go get mah ass grilled by his dad."

Much to your surprise, he snickers at that. It's short, and he quickly tries to hide it with a cough…
...He may actually be more inept at socializing than you.

>"Tomorrow then." He then says, facing away from you for a second before looking at you again, his cocky smile once again adorning his face as he starts to walk away. "Bring some shitty ass tools you can break!"

"...Huh. Ah don't really need any?" You tell him, raising your arms and wiggling your fingers in an admittedly silly way. "Ah reckon it'd take a couple minutes at most to clear the place if we really go all out."

>"And I could blow the entire place to hell alone." He replies while looking over his shoulder, unimpressed. "Half the fun is taking a sledgehammer to a washing machine."

"And the other half?" You ask as you watch him leave.

He just raises his hand, palm skywards and-

BOOM!

It's a rather small explosion when compared with what you know he can do, but it sends it's message loud and clear. Loud enough at least to cause a nearby girl to drop her juice box.

And that's your cue to skedaddle.

Not to Shoto's home, however, but back to the entrance of the school, to a small sidepath without any students left.

"Tin, sugah, you alright in there?" You ask as you take off your backpack, opening the top flap.

>"75% Operative and running." The tiny robot replies, grabbing the edges of the inner pouch you have started calling 'Tin's Pouch' and pulling itself up, showing its damaged head. "Ready for whatever do you need!"

"That's lower than before..." You point out, alarmed, recalling that it was 77% last time Tin mentioned it. "You have gotten worse!"

>"Humidity caused corrosion has begun compromising several internal connectors, but I'm still fit to serve!" Tin assures you, much to your own worry. "As it will take years for the corrosion to disable me, I can assist you until then, Mistress."

"Yeah, 'bout that. You are gonna go see Mei right away." You tell it, picking it up and gently placing it on the ground, using your quirk to return it to what feels like a normal size, about 6 feet tall.

>"But I shouldn't be away. Not even to go with mamma." It replies, almost sounding like a tantrum thanks to its childish voice. "You could need assistance soon!"

While you could just order Tin to go, you opt to convince it instead.
You don't just order friends around, after all.

"Can you… List damages?" You ask it, tapping your chin.

>"Armor Integrity and Communications damaged, extent unknown. Information retrieved via optical systems." Tin explains, looking inside its own head with its tail. "It would be so much easier if I could feel pain."

"Trust me, that doesn't really help." You reply with a shiver, trying and failing not to imagine someone just looking inside her own head. "Anyway… Ah'd rather you'd come back to help me after you are back at yer 100%... What if Ah need to call for help?"

You need to stifle a giggle when you see it look at itself in the eye, the red lens on its head starting at the one on its tail, as if asking for a second opinion.

>"...Will you stay safe?" It asks you with its innocent voice.

It's an armed, tank treaded, fully white hulking faceless machine looking at you with glowing, pupil-less red eyes...

"Ah'll try mah best!" You answer with your best winning smile.

...And you still wouldn't like to see it sad.

>"I'll go, then." It says, nodding with both head and tail. "If you have need of me, call. I'll find a way to you."

"Oh my, how gallant." You say, rolling your eyes and giving the now much heavier robot a shove. A symbolic one, since you are the one that ends up sliding back. "Now get goin'! Tell Mei Ah'll get in touch!"

With a final nod, it goes on its way, rolling up the stairs and into the school without a problem. The accessibility doors are truly great at U.A.

"Oh dear." You let out as you turn around, knowing you have to go to the Todoroki household.

It's not that Endeavor is scary, that's a given, but that you kinda sorta rejected his invitation to work for him…

And sent him a rather rude, if truthful text…

You pretty much spend the entire way there thinking about that.

Well, that and why you didn't meet up with Shoto until you reach the front gate of his home, instead of at the school gates.

"Howdy." You tell him without much enthusiasm as you approach him, dragging your heels a bit. "Fancy seein' ya here, and not… back at school or, ya know, inside."

>"Hi. I did not see you when I was leaving, so I assumed you had already left." He starts, about as monotone as you expected. "Since I knew you would come this way, I thought I could wait here. Besides, I did not want to go inside. I know the old bastard is waiting in there."

It'd be kind of interesting to talk with the Support department about the concept of using Tin as the proof-of-concept of eventually making non-networked sidekick-bots for heroes in general. Though admittedly it would really be dependent on the Support Department's interest level since they'd be doing the WORK and Ushi would "just" be providing them with several million dollars worth of rare materials.

I mean, we'd probably need the commercial quirk use liscence in addition to the hero liscence. But if the governments are really turning down quirk assistance to the economy they're kind of very dumb. Especially since providing a huge glut of rare raw materials would really only fuel the economy.

All Might adds an interesting twist to consider when thinking about the tension between Ushi moving to Japan while being ALL-AMERICAN-ALL-THE-TIME.

Considering he's the #1 hero, the best recognized graduate of UA, her teacher ... and a massive fucking westaboo that wears US flag based costumes and names his attacks based off US locations.
>>
>>4182647
Not entirely sure what tension you are referring to but I do enjoy find the fact that the actual American hero in training and the one that adopts its persona are not entirely on good terms because of misinterpretations.
>>
>>4182612
I want to agree with you, but then why hasn't our Pa gotten into the matter transfer business, even as a side job? As far as I know his quirk is permanent like ours, and I want to believe he would do what he could to financially support his family, especially with something as lucrative as this. It's a personal reason, a legal one, or Dad never considered it. I figure we could ask Dad or Powerloader for more specifics concerning this, since we can technically turn lead into gold.

Thinking about Edgeshot having been told under no uncertain terms to never be alone with Ushi, while not bad advice for male teachers and female students in general (I know my teachers kept that one in mind), I suspect that it was actually caused by the time Ushi failed a face roll and made All Might think she was hitting on him.

Since All Migh is new to teaching I doubt he was the one to pass the warning on to Edgeshot. So Ushi has at least two but probably more senior heroes thinking about her like that. With less chance to clear up the misconception than with the Gals
>>
I wonder if Bakugo's quirk gives him hearing protection. Also just realized his Junkyard thing mean's ge's picked up a productive way to blow off steam and calm the fuck down
>>
>>4183376
Maybe that's why he's yelling all the time. He's blown his ears out so bad he's lost volume control.
>>
>>4183365
That is indeed the case. Aizawa is the one that would coordinate student reports with their internship agencies. The All-Might incident along with the Sushi incidents would be the ones pertinent that Aizawa would have access to and convey to/ warn others. If you think he thinks less of her by that, I would disagree and point to the many points where Aizawa thinks highly of her, directly to her, and sometimes treats her more like an equal than most of the other students.

>>4183376
While it would be the trick to vent ones anger for most others, I believe thats actually where Bakugo baseline is, that he is that angsty in addition to his junkyard routine. I dont expect a change in demeanor going forward from that. It will be more so the influence of Ushi having taken him down a notch as has been shown in the past day of interactions with him. What an interesting development it is.
>>
>>4183772
I don't think Ushi would be really into Bakugo romantically, he's a loose cannon and angered easily. Ushi has more foresight then the average fujo who sees him as nothing more as wild and untamed sexual partner who will ravage them from sunset to sunrise without rest. I have a weird feeling he sees her as nothing more than a measuring stick with large milky breasts and believes that fucking her would somehow count as him defeating her, thus making him better than Ushi. I don't think he has any emotional connection to Ushi and just sees us as a girl who could give him a really good fuck and allow him to recover some of his lost pride at the same time. Bakugo is a hotbed of severe mental illness and he probably needs professional help. Despite what Tumblr would like to believe, I don't think he has a soft side. Underneath that violent abrasive exterior is not a sweet lovable good boy, but rather a psychotic animal that will go absolutely batshit insane if his self image is compromised. I am genuinely worried what will happen when he inevitably gets his advances rejected. On one hand it could have him finally confronting the consequences of his actions and have him grow as a person. On the other hand he could actually attack Ushi in frustration because in his narcissistic world view he has proven himself as the best person to ever live and that she is wrong for rejecting him. Most likely it will be somewhere in the middle where he claims he is too good for us but he doesn't want to admit he feels hurt and takes his anger out on Deku and Kirishima or even expands his range of assault victims beyond it's original scope to include those who drew his ire like Tsuyu. We have made a horrible mistake on agreeing to this date and things can only get worse.

Mostly agree, for the time being, who is to say it will stay that way? it will be fun to have it play out one way or another.
> I am genuinely worried what will happen when he inevitably gets his advances rejected.
I am a bit more confident in Ushi being to handle that. And maybe not even handle, perhaps merely navigate it. Teenage drama is what we have signed up for here after all.

She totally is, we could kick Bakugo's ass. I guess I was a little dramatic there, I forget sometimes that there is no risk of Ushi being kidnapped by her computer and taken to a non-euclidean modern art museum in this quest by what could either be
A. the amalgamation of the vengeful and damned souls of image board users, culled by world governments during the civilization collapse caused by the widespread emergance of quirks, bound together and trapped a purgatory of memes forced to watch liquid cats come out of goatse
B. The product of a failed shamanic ritual suicide organized by several psychic quirk users on the internet in an attempt to reincarnate as an almighty being not unlike the Emperor of mankind
C. The final product of Terry A. Davis his divine inspiration sythized into a final weapon against the glow in the dark CIA niggers to fight in his stead after his demise. A work of sheer digital autism so powerful it can warp time and space
I apologize for my overall paranoia. I wish I had gotten around to that threat assessment spreadsheet it would have explained my thought process a lot more even it isn't exactly designed for this quest. To put it simply you got me thinking about the possibilities of what could happen and if you knew our relation to the word you would understand.

Had it been about anything else, you wouldn't have hesitated to be supportive, to march in without a care in the world and an encouraging smile.

But...

"Yeah… Ah don't want to either…" You admit, looking down at your boots for a second before looking back at your friend with a small dejected smile. "So… What did ya want
to talk 'bout this mornin'?"

>"Nothing..." He answers, taking a bit more wind out of your sails.

"Oh. Sorry, Ah just thought…" You reply with a sigh, feeling like you are just wasting time, looking at the ever more interesting sidewalk.

>"I just wanted to make sure you were okay, since you left the hospital in a hurry." Shoto says, prompting you to look up once more, with a genuine smile this time. "Nothing to say but good morning."

"Well, it's a bit late for that now, isn't it?" You joke, trying to lift both of your spirits. "But hey! If we get goin' though, we can still make it a good evening!"

>"Doubt it." He quickly replies without an inkling of malice, just cold honesty.

"Ain't you a barrel of sunshine." You let out with a small, bitter laugh.

Today has done a fantastic job of not only making you feel like you have been chewed up and spat out, but that you are also going to be stepped on soon.

"C'mon, let's go. It won't be any worse than usual." You tell Shoto, giving him a playful punch on the shoulder before you start walking, knowing that stalling won't help anything.

As always, both of you leave your shoes by the door, with you grabbing a pair of white guest slippers and Shoto taking his own blue ones before heading in, walking towards the training room before a voice stops you in your tracks.

"Here." You hear Endeavor's voice from another room.

It's… a living room, with a kotatsu in the middle, a sofa and a large T.V. on the wall. Endeavor himself sits on the square carpet, while the small table in the middle holds a steaming kettle and three empty cups.

You could call the man Mr. Todoroki in a casual context, but the costume and flaming hair make it clear it's Endeavor that's sitting there.

"Howdy." You greet him, with a tense wave and a no less tense smile on your face.

>"You should relax." He orders, his flames extinguishing themselves as he waves to the empty space around the kotatsu. "Take a seat, both of you."

After sharing a short glance with your friend, you take the lead and take a seat opposite of the hero, with Shoto soon sitting at your left.

>"Weeks ago, I had several reasons to invite you to train here, chief among them your admirable respect and obedience to your mother." He says, looking directly at you. "But it seems that not only had I overestimated you, but priorities have shifted now that Shoto has begun using his fire. There's no need for you to keep returning here."

You don't recall the last time Shoto's eyes shot that wide open, that fast. But your own are likely as big.

"...Mah trainin'?" You mutter in surprise.

Oh, there's the other shoe…
At least he doesn't seem particularly angry.

...Unlike his son.

>"Is that it? You are… discarding her!?" Shoto asks, clenching his fists and barely stopping himself before hitting the kotatsu in the most overt display of emotion you have seen from him in… probably ever.

>"No. I'm giving her a choice." His father answers, unimpressed. He then focuses on you again. "I don't need you, nor do you need me. Right now you are only here as Shoto's reward."

"Uh… What?" You ask, starting to feel worried, looking at your friend being suddenly very interested in the carpet below.

>"He likes keeping you around." He says, briefly pointing at his son. "Until now, this was a glorified playdate."

"...Keepin' me?" You ask, blinking slowly, unsure of what even is going on.

>"You can leave now." He continues, waving at the tea set over the kotatsu. "Or you can pour the tea and stay. I'm only asking that you bow your head and we can begin the real training."

Giving lip, rubbing his nose in his failings as a father or just generally acting overtly vindictive is going to do more harm than good.

I think that the people supporting only pouring tea for Shoto and Ushi understand that and are looking to act in defiance rather than just merely words. In anticipation of one hell of an important face roll, which relationship dice can we add to the mix? Shoto is obvious. I can see adding Mama's since we probably don't like how he wields our respect and love for her like a weapon against us. She is our shield, not his sword.
I can also see maybe adding our mutant kind dice to the mix, considering his lack of popularity for his position as number 2 and his family situation, we want to be more personable for them. But that might not be a can of worms we want to open.

As for the speculation of RD, I believe all of those you have mentioned are applicable. There is no issue about which cans we open as long as we can justify it in-char for Ushi, doesn't matter where Endy sits on it as its an internal driver, not a external cause for him to contest (presumably with his own face roll).

You need to take a few seconds to get your bearings, unsure of what to think, what to feel.

Looking around at the large intimidating man at the other side of the kotatsu and at your crestfallen friend by your side, you feel very tired, somewhat confused and maybe a bit betrayed.

...but not cowed.

With a smile, you take hold of the kettle. Not a happy smile, but the kind of rictus that belongs only on metal album covers, cornered animals and the resentful and damned.

"Ah'm not goin' anywhere." You tell the so called hero, looking at him straight in the eye as you por, a cup for Shoto and a cup for yourself, no more. "...Sir."

Yet to be damned but full of simmering resentment, you continue to stare him down as best as you can as you place the kettle down on the kotatsu.

>"Thank you." Your friend says without looking up, holding the steaming cup at arms length.

His father however, just looks at you unimpressed with your defiance, barely raising an eyebrow as he matches your stare with a glare of his own, sending shivers down your spine.

>"Strange. You say you won't leave, yet refuse to follow a simple instruction, a token gesture." He says, running a finger over the edge of his empty cup. "So why, pray tell, would I train someone that won't follow any orders?"

Somehow, it doesn't feel like your answer matters.
Or you, on the whole.

>What do you do?

Gonna give some context for that connive.
While Ushi is saying she is willing to bend the rules in order to succeed in her career, the underlying scheming is that she is willing to bend the rules to accomplish her real goal: to help those she cares about, the explicit case here being Shoto.
She's already demonstrated this in a small way by committing the faux pas in the tea ceremony on purpose to make her statement.

So all of this is in the name of sticking by him.

Going to attempt to invoke some RD by providing some alternative spoken lines take em or leave as you wish.

>"Cause Ah'll do it when it matters, whether Ah like it or not. And this, doesn't fit the bill. Don't get me wrong, Momma would be mighty happy to see me learn so much more etiquette and customs of our people, but she'll see from a mile off how much Ah'm not tired or bored following my trainin'.
>Tea parties, shrine duties, cooking, its ah'll well and good, 'specially that last one, but it ain't gonna get me to the top of the rankings. Mah family would not take kindly to me letting up, half-assin it, at this point after all the effort.
>Speakin' of half-assin' I worked hard to convince Shoto to start using his fire. I'm here to see that through; that he commits to using all of his quirk. Ah have a hunch you have similar interests.
>So for all the this gab about simple instructions, token gestures, bows, orders, my question is this: When are you going to start asking for something that's worth a damn."

Lets dance motherfucker.

Conciseness is king. If you want to go that route, try another phrasing like:

>Twelve years of your abuse and Shoto’s feelings were twisted in knots. A few weeks of training with a friend and he’s at peace with his quirk. You should be insisting that I stay.

Unless he actuallly knows this and wants Ushi to stay and this is all elaborate reverse psychology?

Asking the real hard-hitting questions. Truly, this is what separates the Number 1 Hero from the Number 2.
>>
>>4192579
We did promise a certain ninja hero that we would mind the rules but never hesitate. This honestly reflects what we learned from Edgeshot to become a more subtle Ushi. We fulfill the letter of his request while simultaneously letting Endeavor know it'll be hard to break our spirit in pursuit of what we see as a righteous goal.
>>
>>4192927

Actually pretty good
>>
>>4192927
A clear response! But how does this differ from the prior selective tea pouring Ushi already committed? I was a fan of a passive aggressive action against Endeavor, but to do one in tandem after the other I feel sends the wrong message; be seen as petulance rather than holdingfast. Two in a row (and any more further on) without bringing about a change in Endy’s ultimatum or Ushi’s standing decreases the chance of getting to stay close to Shoto.

Best case scenario? Endy leaves for a bit to change his shirt/get a towel to clean up the spill where then Ushi can talk to Shoto about all of this. Maybe he admits liking you jerking Endy around (no lewd) and encourages more. Would not be bad by any degree, may allow for a bit of a reset.

Why would he train you?...

"Oh, Ah'll do what Ah must, Ah'm not leavin' him." You tell him, bringing the kettle over to his side of the kotatsu and starting to pour, still staring straight at his eyes.

Your wrist still hurts after your encounter with All Might on that dark alley, but you can keep yourself from wincing, pouring without looking at the cup at all, maintaining your bitter smile and stare as you feel how much tea are you pouring.

Only when the kettle feels light enough do you put it down, still refusing to blink.

Only when you see his eyes briefly widen in surprise do you allow yourself to relax your expression, shifting from nigh malice to saccharine innocence as you see the great hero being stung by the boiling water spilling on his hand and onto the carpet under the kotatsu, hopefully seeping under that too.

To fill a cup of tea until nothing but surface tension was able to hold the liquid in was far more complicated than just kowtowing and doing it properly… But that's not the point.

"Ah'd go to hell 'n back for mah friends… Sir." You tell him, with a bit of a smirk. "But Ah don't have to like it, and Ah won't go gently."

But that is as much as you manage.

>"You never had to like it." He simply says, his glove drying with puff of steam as it bursts into flames for a second, making you reel back on reflex as you take a deep breath at the sight of the sudden conflagration.

Shoto however grabs your shoulder, snapping you out of it before you have time to do it yourself.

>"You don't have to do anything." He says, quickly glancing at his father. "You can't make her do anything."

"We are well past that, sugah." You tell him with a bit of a nervous chuckle.

>"It seems to me she's volunteering." The No. 2 Hero says, downing the nigh boiling liquid without batting an eye, then igniting his costume and facial hair, which despite being something you were aware and prepared for, still gets your back sweating. "We are starting as soon as you finish your drinks, so make it quick. I'll go call Walker's mother."

"...What for?" You ask, now twice as worried.

>"No need to worry yet. It's only so she can come pick you up." He says, the tiniest hints of a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth. "You won't be able to return home on your own after we are done."

As you drop your tired everything into your fancy and cushy U.A. chair the following day, you are no longer sure if Try me! was the right thing to say following Endeavor’s comment.

Even after dozing off in the mess hall following your lunch, you still don’t feel at your best. The simple but repetitive exercises you were made to do the previous day have left you drained.

Unlike the Todorokis' your quirk is inherently harmless. Having been asked to destroy a metal rod with it went as well as if he had asked you to fell a tree with a hammer.

It took you all evening, left your hands sore and splinters were everywhere.

>"If I may ask… Are you well?" Momo politely probes as she sits down in her own chair behind you. "You have been acting strange since Homeroom."

"Just sleepy suga-Ahhh…" You reply, yawning and raising your arms over your head to stretch, stopping when you feel your shirt get too tight. You worry often about that. "Still kinda tired from trainin' yesterday… But hey! Just one last period..."

>"...Well! Hopefully Foundational Hero Studies will be theoretical today." She says with a sympathetic smile, shaking her head as if to clear her mind. You wonder if she's tired too.

"We had to check for airsickness." You point out, recalling the Homeroom duty you helped with at the start of the day. "Ah doubt we'll stay put."

>"Again,... I’m sorry for that." Shoto chimes in from his own seat to your right. "Still, All Might might not show up. It wouldn't be the first time. You might have a chance to rest."

Looking around, he may have a point.
You returned from your ten minutes recess rather late, and everyone is already in their seats, chatting with friends and making noise, yet your blonde, blue-eyed teacher still hasn’t appeared.

>"All Might!?" Deku asks, looking back from two seats in front of yours. "Didn't you see it? He just caught a villain robbing a bank during lunch time! It was all over the news!"

"...Nope. Too busy havin' a nap." You answer with a small but earnest smile. If anything can be said about the boy, is that his excitement is genuinely infectious.

The best thing about U.A.? It's hard not being upbeat around most of your classmates.

>"What?" He asks, visibly surprised. "You mean, sleeping at lunch… Like Mr. Aizawa?"

"Kinda! No sleeping bag, just a power cat nap." You clarify bringing up your hand next to your face, imitating a kitty paw and sticking out the tip of your tongue. "Like… You know, Nyah! Nyah!"

>"Oh. S-sorry about that then!" He stutters, quickly turning back to look at the front of the class.

Then, the door slides open as your homeroom teacher walks in wearing his usual outfit, capture weapon and tired expression, the dishevelled man wordlessly commanding quiet and everyone's attention as he walks towards his desk.

>"For today's Foundational Hero Studies…" The hero starts, pulling back his messy hair and sighing before starting again. "For today's Foundational Hero Studies, I'll be taking you to the U.S.J. for further rescue training. Thanks to the headache that was the first class that took place there we are still behind in both Urban and Mountain Rescue, as well as CPR Training."

>"CPR Training?" Mineta asks, looking over his shoulder, at you and Momo.

"...Drownin'?" You ask your class president, looking over your own shoulder.

>"Yes. If it comes to that, drowning doesn't sound so bad." Momo answers.

After the lumpy boy grumpily looks back to the front of the class, you and Momo share a small giggle over the almost joke.

Almost.

...You almost wish you had seen him enter with a limp or some bandages after the beating he got for trying to peep on you and the gals, but it seems like it didn't do anything beyond stopping him in the moment. It's frustrating.

>"It's up to you again whether you'll wear your costume or gym uniform, as you'll be going through multiple environments." The teacher clarifies as he begins to cocoon himself in his yellow sleeping bag. "You have ten minutes to get to the buses. Get moving."

"...Oh no. U.S.J. and no All Might? Ah've seen this one before." You mutter, letting yourself fall forward and slam your forehead on the desk before standing up. "Mr. Aizawa! Mr. Aizawa! Is this another surprise not-really-murder test!?"

>"I can assure you it's not, I wasn't planning on having to do All Might's job today." He tells you, sounding completely sincere, if not annoyed by the fact.

You still look around the classroom as you go grab your suitcase, uneasy.
That's exactly what someone trying to get you would say

...Thus, there's nothing you can do but be on your toes, alert.

But you can't help but be perplexedas things just… Go smoothly.

No sudden villain waiting for you at U.S.J., just the thrilling experience of climbing up a collapsing building, deploying an escape chute and then sliding down one by one.

No teacher pretending that he's a villain out for blood, just All Might arriving in a helicopter to take you all up to the mountaintop to practice the basics of mountain rescue, to learn how to install rigs, set lifelines and to use other rescue tools to help with evacuations in extreme conditions.

Nothing goes wrong until the CPR part of the class, and even then…

"Ah'm sorry... Ah thought it was done that way..." You mumbled as you headpatted Sero, sitting on the ground and letting him rest against your chest, fanning his face with your hand.

>"...'s fine." He mumbled back amidst deep breaths, slowly regaining his normal skin tone and becoming less blue.

Having been assigned to practice on him, you almost went and caved his in ribcage on your first try. It didn't feel great, but at least you didn't break anything.

Meanwhile, Mr. Aizawa chastised All Might.

>"You evidently can tell children to use all their strength when doing chest compressions." Your homeroom teacher said, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I would, however, ask you not to do it. You of all people should know how dangerous that is, but since you don't, try to follow the book."

"Come on Aizawa, you know it was just exaggeration for the sake of emphasis!" All Might tried to defend himself, but not even he was able to withstand the tired yet steady gaze of disappointment from Mr. Aizawa. "...Sorry."

Besides that, it was… Nice.
Just a normal day at U.A. just with more Helicopter.
Maybe it's time to stop thinking the U.S.J. as cursed.

Afterwards, when you returned to the classroom and back into your uniforms, everyone was in a cheery mood.

>"If I ever drown, I want to get CPR from a chick... Hot deep and heavy!" Mineta comments as he walks in. "Take away my breath!"

>"Doesn't that… you know, defeat the purpose?" Kaminari replies, thinking with his actualhead, unlike Mineta.

>"To be that close? I'd gladly risk death." The shortest guy you know says with a devious smile.

>"I meant that a girl would just let you drown, but that works too." Kaminari replies with a chuckle. "Nah, but really it didn't look like it went well for Sero."

>"I saw it go great." Mineta refutes, crossing his arms and climbing into his chair.

>"He's no longer a man addled by his desires, but a true embodiment of lust…" Fumikage mumbles from his seat in front of Shoto's.

"Ah think that'd make him an imp." You whisper back, leaning on Shoto's desk to chat with your monochromatic friend.

A moment later, you scramble back to your seat as you see Mr. Aizawa re-enter the classroom, and the rest of the class follows suit.

>"Good work today." Your homeroom teacher congratulates you all as soon as he comes to stand in the front of the class, holding a stack of papers.

"Yeah!" You cheer along most of your classmates-

>"-Moving right along, we'll be having Parents' Day next week." Your teacher continues without skipping a beat, replacing everyone's excitement with confusion. "I'll also need one of the class representatives to distribute these, one per desk."

"Guess Ah'll do it." You say as you stand up and go collect the papers, a bit taken aback by the sudden strangeness of the situation.

>"...Even the Hero Course has to do this kinda stuff!?" Kirishima blurts out, the first to voice what everyone thinks.

>"Make sure your parents or guardians see it." The teacher says, ignoring the complaint. "And for homework, you'll be writing them letters of appreciation."

Then, for some reason, most of your classmates burst out into collective laughter. You almost join in, if for no other reason than Mina, Denki and Kirishima's laughter are just infectious, instead you just smile and continue to distribute the handouts.

>"Wait, wait, wait. What, are we little kids now?" Kaminari asks. "Good one Teach!"

>"Yeah! We are no longer in middle school!" Mina argues.

>"...no." Whimpers Shoto.

>"I'm not bringing that hag." Bakugo declares, making you raise your eyebrows as you pass by.

>"Have I ever been one to joke?" Your teacher asks, sweeping the room with a glance, silencing everyone, then using the newly made hush to continue. "Come Monday, you'll will each read your letters aloud to your parents."

>"Oh no. He's serious!" Mina yells, prompting the entire classroom to start yelling and chatting.

>"Guys-" Momo tries to interject, but her voice is quickly drown-out by your louder classmates.

"QUIET Y'ALL!!!" You holler, making full use of your lungs to be the loudest of them all.

For a second, there's silence.

>"Isn't shouting the worst way to ask for silence? Ribbit." Tsuyu asks you, the first to speak up.

You just shrug and nod at Momo.

>"Thank you." She says before addressing your teacher. "Mr. Aizawa, while having our parents and guardians come to observe our daily activities is already inherently embarrassing, I can't help but think that the reading of letters of appreciation would not paint an accurate picture of what we do, being somewhat out of place for the Hero Course."

The class takes no time to nod and voice their approval. While you only wish to support your friend, you start to think that your classmates really don't want their parents to come visit.

Weird, Shoto notwithstanding. His eminent despair makes perfect yet awful sense.

>"Incorrect." Your teacher simply states, making your ponytailed friend recoil as the hero surveys the class, his gaze demanding everyone's attention. "As aspiring heroes, you will receive thanks and the appreciation of those you save, often as letters and gifts from them and their families. Understanding that is essential, that's why you'll be placing yourselves in their place."

>"...It's about pride, then?" Momo asks again, then elaborates. "To learn to stay humble and appreciate what each of those letters mean when we are professional heroes?"

You didn't think that was something that needed be learned, but then again, Bakugo is in your class.

>"Mostly correct. Just don't assume that all of you will become pros." Your teacher affirms with a nod. "Before the recitations, we'll give them a brief tour of the campus and a practical demo, if you want to show off. If you aren't on cleaning duty, you are free to go once you get your handouts."

And that's all it took to get your classmates to either embrace the challenge, or resign themselves to their fate. After the pretend-villain attack, it wasn't that weird of an assignment.

Soon after that, everyone but Toru and Koda leaves the classroom, ready to go make the best of your evening.

Walking out of the school, you look around for Bakugo to go to the junkyard and break things to your heart's content as you had agreed to do.

As expected, he's waiting by the arch, his bag over his shoulder.

However, on the other side of the arch, the hospital gang waves you to come over. Iida might be changing the wind patterns with his frantic pistoning, seemingly holding some pieces of paper in his fast moving hand. In contrast, Shoto's is a nice small wave and Deku's looks more like a metronome, absolutely rigid.

>What do you do?

>[Wave back at Shoto and co., but go meet up with Bakugo. You already agreed to go with him. "Howdy! We still on to go break some stuff?"]
>[Form a T with your hands to tell Bakugo to wait for a second and go check what's up with the stabbed boys. "Howdy, whatcha doin'? Not plannin' on goin' villain huntin' again, right?"]
>[...Weren't you supposed to call Mei? Better late than never. "Hey… Mei… How's Tin doin'?"]

Wave bye to shoto, hold up a finger to bakugo.
A non cussy finger
>>
>Telling daisy to wait up will not work, quite the opposite, especially with a big ole Iida hand signal.
> Ignoring the Stained crew is even more controversial for obvious reasons.
> Most middle ground, like Signaling to Bakugo to follow ya for a second wont be effective
> All the while Tin is likely having a electronic mental breakdown somewhere.
Uhh, idk what to do....

Sorry boys, but we lost our robot. Also smashing stuff tired sounds like a recipe for straining ourselves, and we probably need to talk to Shoto alone about what happened before hanging out with him and his friends. probably postpone smashing, then call Shoto and see what's going on after Tin stuff.
>>
>>4199435
I don't think theres gonna be any postponement. Hes gonna just think were trying to leash him around.

Pussy shit boys. Pussy shit.

Wait, don’t Bakugo and Deku live the same direction? So its not like the two parties will fork, right?

> Catch what Iida et al are trying to tell you, but keep moving to the station
> Call Mei while in Transit to check in
> Still with Bakugo so you can smash.

Its not like Bakugo was gonna socialize (successfully) in public anyways? So might as well make use of the awkward silence time.
>>
>>4199450
I don’t think its gonna work that way. But it does make realize.
Ushi...has a phone! (Gasp)

I will second this. If we don't get to talk to them, would take a page out of Midoriya's book and text Shoto where we are going in case something happens because of Bakugo or otherwise. Also, just because he was somewhat nice to us this one time doesn't change his past behavior.

Thats a great addition I want to support. Its been the standard for bakugo moments ala Mina and Kirishima.

I'll support this. Maybe we can call mei after this trip, good chance she's up most hours, anyway.

Has ushi ever tried enlarging an object with one hand while shrinking it with the other? What might that do? Assuming it's even possible, that is.

What would happen to the object if she continuously used her powers on it? Would it get hot? Cold? Would any kind of deformation result at either the visible or microscopic scale?

That "destroy the metal rod" test got me thinking. Something like the above might be a way to make that a reality, especially if she mixes in something creative like shrinking/growing different parts of the same object in different ways.

I mean, there's a good deal of handwaving that has to go with Ushi's power; giant people would realistically just collapse under their own weight if all they were doing was scaling their body larger.

There's gotta be some kind of limit to how granular Mic is willing to get with how exactly things work, but that shouldn't mean we can't try to play around to find the limits and quirks of our . . . Quirk.

I always thought it was pretty easy to break stuff with her quirk, it just involves precise work. Shrink a small section of the bar and enlarge the area on each side of the shrunken
section, and it should be generally easy to snap, almost like a plastic sprue.
