NRP Classic™

Create a nation/civilization and RP in the fantasy themed world.
Each player starts with 1 "tile" and a capital (Exceptions exist). Choose a location to start and your color. You may post immediately.

===============================================================
Rules and Information:
Read the OP before you ask dumb questions.

Standard RP rules apply.

-The purpose of this is to create an enjoyable story through gameplay and RP, remember that there is no winning or losing, good RP and loremaking is the goal. Do not play to win.-

Be reasonable. (Most important rule)

Turns: All players may post 2 actions (one turn) alongside their introduction at start, after this their next turns may be posted after the update by OP.
Diplomacy and lore posts do not count as an action.
Actions will be introduced in the order they are posted. Actions are not canon until the game is updated.

Actions: You're free to do whatever you want, but keep it reasonable. If an action is deemed unreasonable or otherwise unfit to put into play, you will be notified and allowed an extra action per disallowed action in your next turn.
Results of your actions will vary depending on the player and what OP thinks of their capabilities. If you are unsure or feel your post may not be counted or done right, elaborate in your post the reasons why it should go through as such.
A post may also be put into play but in a limited state rather than not put into play. This will be noted.

Settlements: Settlements may only be created in tiles with an existing claim by the owner. (No expanding and creating a city in the expansion in the same turn)

Tech: Starting tech may not exceed bronze age. Do not rush technology.

Resources: Materials used in actions must be worked or traded in order to be used. Resources within your grasp that are not worked may be used for lore but not in large scale or for your advantage.

War: War should be produced with 1 action which should describe the goal and intended tactics. The defender may then post a response detailing how they will defend against the action, or it will be decided by OP. The conflict results will be posted shortly after by OP.
Defense to a war action is free, using an action will allow attacking with a successful defense.

Leaving: Players may leave at any time so long as a suitable post regarding their end is made. Players that leave without an end post or and insufficient endpost will be banned from future games and the fate of their nation at the mercy of OP.

Moderation: OP's reserves the right to retcon any posts requiring such action.
Expect IC catastrophes for poor behavior.
Grievances are to be directed to OP through private messages. Any complaints not issued this way are invalid.

More rules and information exists but the above are simply the most important.

Quartzite Shavii are borne, being heavy and hard of the quartz of the earth. Their "flesh" difficult to cut and carve, but if struck with enough force, would shatter horribly. Antennae are easily broken off early on in life.
As far as the eye can see, dunes expand across the south, being halted by hills north and east. Shavii spy a closer look on the flying beasts from before. Great wings soar across the sands, carrying with their large limbs prey as big as the scaledbeasts that inhabit the border between sands and grass. Many insectoid creatures are seen burrowing into the sand in the furthest south scouted.

>>4237374
A spell is conjured to force a chilling breeze from the air. This new magic sends a sudden shock of cold to whatever is targeted. In light use, catfolk are cooled by the air on hot days.
A new weapon is designed of crude design but more complex than anything prior. Similar to bow but locking back the drawstring on a plank of wood. Ammunition for said weapon is able to be enchanted to produce a shower of hot sparks upon hard impact after firing, though the process is lengthy, multiple uses can be seen.
>>4237418
As she makes her statement, the Shavii would be likely confused as the foreign tongue of the catfolk enters their minds.

>>4237991
Improved workstations allow smiths to labor away without many of the troubles plaguing them before.
Scouts on land trek cautiously through the established labyrinths of the Lo-hai, subjecting themselves to the whim of the stone-lords lying in wait. >>4239056
However, ships note signs of iron in the hills.

>>4238134
Compact bows are crafted in ornate dwarven style. Their power unimpressive but for their size, quite deadly.
Hoofbeasts kick up dust in the academy as they send their riders and the weapons carried forward towards the dummy menace.

>>4239056
Marsh is turned to grass as scouts discover a great body of water likened to their home, but its surrounding terrain much different. Massive hills are seen further west beyond the water. A variety of butterfly flutter through the trees near the grassland.
No venom is known of these beasts, but oddly wounds inflicted with their bite rot away with vigor weeks after the initial strike. Their stocky limbs don't appear efficient in hauling much beyond their own bodies and the meals in their tummies, furthermore, they enjoy remaining still for long periods and do not often exert themselves except when killing prey. Perhaps if they can be tamed they would prove useful in safeguarding trenches from rivals.

>>4240054
Elves venture towards a new goal. Their tired feet brought to an obelisk just like that of the one north. The glyphs are somewhat different but follow a similar style to that of the first. Much more can be seen not being enveloped by oak, but its base considerably sunken in the earth and what is surfaced has been faded by the elements.
The great sun provides much for the world and its inhabitants, including drying of flesh.

1.
Settlers go from the grotto in the Two-Legs land, and with great loads of shell material and other necessities, the Lo-hai go to construct an outpost/grotto on the north eastern face of the lake.

2.
The Hiss Beasts are forced to eat with their Stone-Lord owners, and soon acclimatise to the scent of their Lord's war band, this sparks a change in the trenches and cities. The new guard beasts serve well to the lords in the trenches, causing many to make personal bunkers for their warbands, protected by their loyal beasts. Stone Lords in the cities make moss garden plazas to store their beasts. Many are soon seen lurking in the Labyrinthine Red Hills. >>4237991

>>4240375
Actions 1 and 2: Two new cities are founded, one near the eastern mines at the docks, one near the hilly western coast.

The western city shall be named Crosikamas, and serve as a place to permanently garrison troops to defend our land, as well as produce iron once the mines are constructed.

The eastern city shall be named Orikamas, and serve to increase the ore and ingot output of the area.

>Things move at a swifter pace as the Necraket returns to the capital, to find her people have been attacked by strange and unpleasant rock monsters
>Worse still, the granite mines have been exhausted, work on the pyramid has ceased, its dragging on... however the military has never been in greater shape

>Now able to don iron armour and wield iron weapons, the ranks of the Crosis swell with new recruits, all eager to bleed and be bled.

>The only thing stopping the Necrakets hand from declaring total war and pressing every able bodied man into the Crosis to annihilate this foe is the strange fact that there are reports of some stone lords being unaggressive, even amiable to trade.

>Given the assumed primitive intelligence of the creatures, the Necraket wisely decides to wait a little longer to make a decision... the pyramid has yet to be completed after all, that is more important.

>Boats are sent to blockade any further Lo-Hai travel past the Zumakamas strait, as downstream where Necraztzi and Lo-Hai live in harmony an Eclipon family noble has a curious idea when observing some Lo-hai colonists

>A group of particularly strong looking stone lords are offered some tin, and yelled at for a while in the traditional manner to open dialogue as the Necraztzi gesture over to the nearby mine several times while making digging motions with their stupid fleshy hands and fingers

“Metal, in ground, put out of ground, get some tin, we get metal.”

>These northern hills contain am untold verity of mineral wealth, not to mention hunting ground and the sea our people love so dearly. Juni takes his trusted quill and squid ink clay pots and sets off to expand northwest from the basalt mine.

Action 2

>This basalt mine is promising for future building, but it is too far away from home and the miners are sick of living in tents. A rowdy frontier town is crafted out of basalt blocks directly east of the mine, on the shore of the northern sea. It is dubbed Stoirmeil for the thundering sound of waves and scrapping picks that echo around the valley.

>Civilization/Race Name:
Kingdom of the Totem-men

>Capital Name:
Mors Totema

>Brief Summary of Nation:
A burgeoning kingdom in the west, born from a violent unification of independent tribes. It's people are comprised of terrifying, monstrous men with the appearance of a stone monsters.
Although they are great in size and stature, their terrifying nature and poor communicative abilities make them poor diplomats and easily misunderstood. Their leader is Yis Mor-Ghai, a name meaning "Killer of foes, beasts and enemies."

>Optional Fluff:
The Totem-men, sometimes called trolls, often called monsters, are a race of giant reptilian creatures with heavy scales covering most of their body. Their jaws are filled with rows of sharp teeth, their claws as long as swords.
They have two pairs of eyes, granting them effective night-vision. However; whilst other races can see somewhat decently in the night-time, the totem-men are completely blind in the daytime, with any bright surface being a glare.
Although they are, deep down, pretty chill, they are terrible at communicating with other races and speaking their languages. Whilst they mostly seek peace, it seems as if they will be forever misunderstood.

1. Finding answers lead to new questions which lead to even more questions. A horrible never-ending cycle of existence, but that's what makes life worth living. We can't uproot the tree and ruin it just because our curiosity. We shall consult with the spirits of our ancestors and life energies empower our magic to be able to awaken plant life to move it.
2. To ensure we can handle the mental strain of channeling magic for when we research even more powerful than before, we will begin a school of the mind to strengthen our brains to remember complex ideas, designs, distant memories, ignore distractions, and etc. (Part 1)

The quartz shavii aren't in good condition. Certainly, they're not fighters. Heavy and easily broken is not the way to go, and Petetar advises the public not to make any more quartz shavs until we can find a way to heal their stone skin. His heart goes out to the quartz shavs, whose antennae were broken soon after creation. He promises to compensate the shavii that are currently encased in fragile quartz.

>1: more mental training
The best defense is a good offense. If our ranged attacks, using copper darts, are powerful enough, then we won't need to worry about the northeastern monsters beating our bodies to bloody pulps. The muscle of mind is a skill that every shavii shares with his brothers. As such, this muscle can be flexed and improved. The most powerful guards at Lz 022 are tasked with developing their own mental training program, consisting mostly of lifting the heaviest objects they can, using only their telekinesis. The guard with the most effective program will be promoted, and given food stocks to last his family several solar years.

>2: study the bugs in the south
What's with these things? We break them open, and they have no internal skeleton. It's just muscles, and an outer shell. The thought intrigues our avid breeders. What if we could create a new breed of shavii, with an internal and external skeleton? A fascinating thought, no doubt. If these insects can exist naturally with their chitin skin, then surely they must also carry the ability to heal. Our researchers take bug samples, both alive and dead, back to Lz 022.

>>4240392
>diplo: catgang
Petetar can hear the sounds of the Cathi in his mind, but yet, he can't understand them. Despite their lack of universal communication, this is still highly intriguing. In his universal tongue, he forms a response to the Cathi's statement.

"Hello, ambassador. It is nice to see you again, just as it is nice to hear your thoughts with my own. However, I am still unable to properly perceive your message. Thankfully, you have taken a step in the right direction. Would you mind showing us just how you managed to discover basic telepathy, so that we may, in turn, show you how to improve upon it?"

>>4240394
The construction is complete, with aid of new materials from the woodlands surrounding.
When stone-lords must be absent in their watch of their trenches, protective beasts are often left to hunger, increasing their tenacity and warding off any possible intruders.
>>4240438
Necraztzi are spread, inhabiting the harsh hilly lands around them. >>4240470
Settlers discover yet another expanse of wastes, located high above the sea held by hills, and opening up into grasslands. Dunes in the sand appear to move. New homes in Stoirmeil are often split from the hills, crashing into the thunderous waves below.
>>4241631
Coerced by elven magics, the ancient oak reels back from its seat of rest, maintaining for the most part its form, but revealing the once subdued portions of the obelisk. Continuing the previously cut off runes of obelisks in the stone, images appear to depict an ornate image of unknown meaning with surrounding obelisks joined by a liquid. Colors may have at one point aided the understanding of these images, but they have long since faded.
The foundations of this school are formed, awaiting further development. Results are soon made clear.
>>4241751
The most skilled and strong in mind show off their ability to hurl even stones near the same weight of the Shavii themselves.
Attempts to break open these insectoids are met with disaster. The eager prodding and plotting Shavii set out to learn from these creatures are enveloped entirely by a swarm of enraged bugs being half the size of the victims. A brief skirmish ends with many field researchers withered away by the mandibles of these beasts, but one specimen is managed to be slain and brought back to study. The price for the specimen is high, but the Shavii learn some of its secrets.

>1: chitin skin
Such a valuable find, a creature with no internal skeleton, but rather, armor plating on its exterior. It appears to have weaponry on its face, but using a part of our body that houses such a vital organ for the sake of offense feels unsafe, and impractical in combating the northeastern beasts. However, it's not the weaponry we're after. The defensive capabilities of these insects is far higher than our own. If it weren't for our size, they would be stronger than titans. What if we were to take this trait for ourselves? Skin that's as hard as rock, but not fragile like crystal. The bugs have a nervous system, and hold the ability to heal their chitinous exoskeleton, making their method 100% more effective than any crystal shav. Unlike the bugs, we have an internal skeleton. What if we were able to keep that trait, alongside the chitin skin?

The public is too curious not to try this for themselves. Couples go straight to work on making chitin shavs. The remaining crystal shavs also take part, hoping that their lives will not be completely in vain.

The original shavii complexion, white skin, thin body, bipedal stance, and pointed limbs, alongside any other additions (excluding crystal) are kept to their greatest similarity in these new offspring.

The land is surveyed to reveal the expanse of Golm, being particularly clustered in one spot, but spread thinly, few hunters live on the outskirts beyond the settlement. The people of Golm do not understand Necraztzi and their converting nature, but it is believed they worship the act of the hunt and their ancestors.

From what limited study is revealed with the specimen, new Shavii are birthed with hardened shell-like surfaces around their flesh. More uncomfortable and sluggish than a normal Shavii, the chitin allows much greater damage to be dealt to the bodies before serious problems would occur. Some changes are made to the antennae, following the structure of the creature somewhat, providing support and providing less risk to loss of said antennae. Without being able to properly distribute the specimen among Shavii to replicate, the newborne are imperfect, but considerably more durable than their counterparts.
Explorers venture through and beyond the wetlands, discovering objects similar to that of the native copper in the grasslands, but instead it is brown and red, revealing gray innards (bog iron). Into new forests, similar to the north but more angular and filled with no vegetation many odd stones dot clearings of the trees, seeming to represent something, but what it is is unknown to the Shavii. Explorers claim to sight small creatures scurrying about, between rocks and ferns, into bushes and beyond the treeline. No clear looks can be had. Many believe it just rodents or imagination.

Yis Mor-Ghai knows for true the path that must be taken; the path Mor, god of conquest, has laid out for them. His kingdom is small, and whil it is small, it is weak. This cannot be permitted. Permitting weakness will surely anger Mor.

> The greatest city of the totem-men, besides his own, is the city of Lair Rutis. The forest tribe that rules this city is proud, and will not bow to Yis as easily as the tribes before. Yis commands his messengers to Lair Rutis to speak of both the unrelenting fury and the generous benevolence of Yis. He promises that should the refuse to bow, great destruction will befall them. But should they follow, he will (amongst other things) accept their forest god Rut into the pantheon of the forest men.
> On the subject of gods, Nyu, the goddess of wisdom and fertility, has some decrees of her own; the people must grow in number as well as power. Yis declares thus that a sizable fertility festival must be undertaken. The Stone-Lord's of the unnamed wetland Grotto approach their Two-Legged neighbors, requesting to have a meeting with their leaders. When the Sun Walkers arrive to the prepared spot, they witness a plaza of mud filled with crude effigies of shell, skulls, ore, and lakes of water along with oceans. The largest Stone-Lord approaches the Two-Legs and grumble out slowly the tongue of the Star Fish.

>"WE/TALK/NOT/KILL/FORDAY"

The larger than average crab-star pushes forward a shell plate of cooked fish for the Two-Legs to eat as he munches on his own plate. The practice of meals during Lo-hai "peace-talks" is a long standing tradition. Your enemy can't try to eat you while he has some delicious fish in front of him. The Lo-hai crouches over the plate, its toothy maw munching away at the fish, while one of it's orange eyes stare unblinkingly at the Two-Legs.

>"WHY/WARSCENT/DRIFT/DOWNRIVER? TWO-LEGS/TAKE/ BLOODOFRIVALS. SOON/TAKE/BLOODOFBROTHERS?WE/LIVE/NOTFIGHT/HERE, WHY/NOT/THERE?"

Here the Stone-Lord motions to the wetland grotto, and then the areas where the Lo-hai are being attacked in mass.

>"SOME/WAR/GOOD! THISWAR/NOT/GOOD! DO/TWO-LEGS/WANT/TOTAL-WAR?"

He motions to the settlement of Crosikamas, then drifts to the wetlands.

>"HILLS/SACRED/TO/LO-HAI/PROMISED/BY/VENERABLE-ELDEST. MANY/LO-HAI/RAGE/DELUGE/WHEN/TWO-LEGS/WALK/ON/HILLS. WET/LANDS/SAME/FOR/TWO-LEGS?"

Upon the affirmative. the Stone-Lord continues.

>"LO-HAI/FOLLOW/RIVER/NOT/KNOW/OF/INSULT. WHERE/WATER/MEETS/LAND/LO-HAI/DO/WISH/TO/LIVE/FISH/WAR. MANY/GO/WEST/NOW/NOT/WANT/SHELL-CRACKER (Lo-hai word for hammer)."

He invites the Necraztzi to make their alterations to the map.

>"WHERE/SHALL/WE/LIVE/AND/WHERE/SHALL/WE/WAR. I/HAVE/TRADE/YEARS/WITH/TWO-LEGS/MANY/DEALS/DO/NOT/WANT/TO/KILL/ALL/TWO-LEGS/AS/IN/WET/LANDS/. LO-HAI/IN/HILLS/THINK/DIFFERENT/TWO-LEGS/OUTSIDER. HERE/LO-HAI/OUTSIDER."
>Basically setting land claims, as the Stone-Lords really don't have centralized government besides superstition and tradition, the idea of land ownership operates on more of a material basis (I don't own the land, but the fort upon it. While this moss trench is "mine" it is purely because I can actively control it and harvest it.) Racial they have the religious belief that the northern hill-lands are their's in perpetuity, and can see how the wetlands are the same for the Necraztzi, however they like to use the rivers to explore as much as they can and see who all they can fight. Those in the hill-lands, were content to get their fill of blood lurking in the wall traps, killing the two-legs that came at them, and making small raids. Now they are going to be trying to advance upon the settlers. The Lo-hai wish if possible, to have the ability to found grottos in Necraztzi cities to work alongside them with their war-broods, and compete with each other for work with midnight raids to steal workers from one another.

The request to meet with the leader of the Necraztzi was met with a buzz of chatter among the two legs.
They eventually replied that it would take several days, strange, as their camp near the enclave was only a few hours away.

After three days and much anticipation one of those large wooden floats approaches, decorated in all sorts of ways, with it the Necraket of all Zumakind.

It soon becomes apparent that the two-legs seem to have one leader they all look to, who now joins the diplomatic talks.

They take part in the food, and offer some of their own, swamp beast meat, sweetened and spiced.

>The dwarves realize the horns of our mountain goat steeds can be used as a mighty horn. A few special musician trains to be a herald for the army, using a special battle horn made of 4 horn bound together in bands of metal. The airways inside are edited with a tin contraption. When blown, it sounds a terrify blast that is something between the roar of a cave lion and the thunder of the sky gods.

Action 2.
With this final weapon ready the army gathers up stream from Neue Hoffnung, 5 units in total. The heavy cavalry with their iron lances. Swift archers with their dwarven bows. A few of the fastest form a scout cohort. 2 dozen mad lads pain their chest in swirls of color and bring the throwing balls and one harpoon each. Finally the few musicians bring their mighty war horns. They march west from the lumbar yard where the missing dwarves where last seen, onto the unknown danger.

The Lo-hai would find these proclaimed agreements, and indicate the lines with their orange blood. Lo-hai take to painting skull patterns with the glowing ink of the Ink Fish while working with the Sun Walkers, or wishing to trade with them. The Lo-hai to the south around the fort when approaching with peaceful intent is painted, those unpainted are looking for war, and those covered are merely traveling. Carved stone tablets carrying these terms are scrawled and disseminated by the Stone-Lords as "war-intel" for trades.

>1: Teach the cats about our ways of telepathy
Knowing their basic methods for mental telepathy, we see to teaching the eastern people our personal methods for universal telepathic communication, by improving in their method. One must learn to project his thoughts as though they are nothing more than thoughts, while the Cathi were initially trying to think like one would speak. Of course, there is no problem if that's the way they think normally. Even some of us shavii do that from time to time. However, to truly communicate on a universal level, one must think in terms that anyone can understand. The way of universal mental telepathy is not a language. Rather, it is simply a method of thinking hard enough to share thoughts perfectly.
At the same time, we also go about teaching the Cathi proper etiquette for mental communication. The number one rule is to use as little proper nouns as possible. Proper nouns have the tendency to be incapable of translation, when conveyed through universal telepathy. However, that depends on who one communicates with, and their understanding of those proper nouns.

Assuming the worst, dwarves march westward to investigate the string of missing kinsmen. Strange beasts are seen scurrying from the dwarves as they travel, some making attempts to attack the dwarves but swiftly failing and being overwhelmed. Following the retreat of the beasts, the dwarves discover an encampment filled with the creatures. Disheveled and ruined structures surround themselves in a clearing besides the woodland. Alerted to the presence of the dwarves, beasts resembling horse and man rise from their feast on various types of flesh around a bonfire and face the dwarves. The two foe find themselves at similar numbers of warriors, making first blows at the edge of the treeline where dwarven archers pepper the horsefolk before cavalry break their charge. Huge masses of flesh and limb dismount many hoofriders and break their bodies upon the ground as others are impaled with shining metals. Upon departing to once more attack the beasts, the riders find their enemy far more swift than they first seemed, following them closely and bringing more to the ground with their outstretched arms. These beasts are hardy and soon appearing more numerous than the dwarves despite the force inflicted upon them, forcing the dwarves to make a retreat lest they be completely destroyed.
The battlefield is littered in dwarven and horsefolk remains, doing great damage to both sides, but in the end not able to overcome the foreign beasts.

This alien concept is tough to drill into the minds of the catfolk. After some time, the basic principles and understanding are formed. Granting them the ability to replicate the telepathy of the Shavii, but more effort on part of the catfolk will need to be made if full understanding is desired.

As the peace talks are commenced, battle ensues.
Eager Necraztzi make way to the invaded lands. Armed with many implements of war, iron contributing to a large portion, where the flaws of its design are noted as rust envelopes their iron within hours of being in the wetlands. Hammers being simple masses of iron are not so affected by rust or loss of material so soon but armor, shield, and any other weapon becomes greatly affected, losing much of its use in mere weeks.
Shells of the Loh-hai are found and cracked by hammer. The odd mobile brush is also occasionally found and struck as well.
The Lo-hai contribute little to the conflict, enraging many seeking bloodshed and being denied their glory, leading to further attacks despite the passive nature of many Lo-hai.
More familiar with the wetlands, Necraztzi see success using the terrain to their advantage and navigating it with greater ease. Though their rusted tools begin to fail them and large Lo-hai exploit the weaknesses of their foe whenever possible.
Shortly after an unexpected attack is formed by the Lo-hai, crossing the river to end slaughter with slaughter.
After brief skirmishes and battles, a deal is made between the two nations, driving away the Lo-hai from the prized lands of the Necraztzi.
While the goal had been met by the Necraztzi, the war had been so quickly ended, leaving many bitter not having had proper battle despite moderate losses.

>A scout gallops down the cobbled streets off Neue Hoffnung. His leather jerkin is torn and he clutches a bloody bag in one hand. He burst past the guards despite their cries and heads straight to the longhouse of the Council of Elders. Sweat pours off his goat and a bloody gash obscures one eye. Anxious dwarves pull at his weary hands begging to hear news of their loved ones. Juni steps out of the Council house to see what all this commotion is about.

"M.. My Lord.." the scout pants, still trying to catch his breathe. "I... I have ... urgent news .... from the expedition."

"Come inside at once." Juni orders.

"Apparently the forward scouts disappeared. ..... we had a few plans for attack but the gods did not show us mercy..... we fought valiantly... it was not animals but THIS!"
He opens the bag, tossing a series of grotesque horselike man heads......" The candles around the council table had burned low by the time he was finished. The High shaman shook his staff violently, the skull on top rattling ominously. "My grandfather told me of a race like this our forefathers exterminated from the Varun Hills... these must be a distant cousin. May the brave souls of our men find rest with the all father."

Juni stands up abruptly.
"This council is dismissed. Everyone but the
High Shaman may leave. Gaurds, get this man a warm bed and some food, also see after his eye."

Juni and the shaman remain in talks deep into the night.

Action 1.
>Juni orders a new class of soldiers to be trained. They are to be a commando class. They are fed a mushroom the shaman brought over from the old country that gives them a berserker rage slows down time for the user. They are also conditioned in many ways of war, from keeping their resolve to field dressings.

Action 2.

The final result offers complete protection, but is too heavy for mounted troops. This new "foot-man" armor is produced, one that covers the whole body. >1: "handle" the horsefolk
These beasts! these horrid creatures of the northeast! They had killed our once great leader, and now, his son is scarred with grief. Not only with grief, but rather, a bloodlust so thirsty that he demands the creatures be driven out of the plains. His advisors had a tough time convincing him to shy away from genocide, but thankfully, Petetar was merciful in this endeavor. Well, as merciful as one could be.
At once, an army is assembled. They are taught to attack from a distance, and that under no circumstances should they find themselves in close proximity to one of these northeastern monsters.

>2: connect the northeastern territory to the central territory
There's a long stretch of unclaimed land here, and our soldiers would have an easier time traveling across the plain if they knew where they were going. We must immediately familiarize ourselves with this area, in order to claim it as our own.

>WAR! Attack the horsefolk!
For the blood of Nikkolas!

Response to event:
> Yis Mor-Ghai looks upon these monstrous creatures with horror. What terror has been unleashed against these trolls, who have nought but stone tools and their bare claws to defend themselves with? Yis cannot stand this, and orders a mass charge. Hopefully our small supply of bronze swords and spears can bring down some of these beasts...

> Meanwhile in Mors Totema, Nyu Moss sends teams to build work camps around the supplies of copper and wood. These will come in handy for many future construction projects!
> Nyu Moss's thirst for that sweet archaic knowledge shall not go unquenched! He sends scouts even further afield in search of the mysterious monolith.
(specifically, the monolith halfway between Totema and Fuldanth.)

>The Gr'blst beetle is varies in size, it's early life it spends most of it's time as a 1 ft grub eating leaves off of trees, but upon growing enough, it makes a large shelled cocoon hanging off the tree to the approximate size of a basket ball. When it emerges, the shell cocoon becomes it's carapace, and it unfolds to reveal the 6 legged beetle, it has a small biting head to continue to eat leaves and small bug creatures, but it's rear end is large and bulbous. The largest spotted was 1 meter long. When disturbed these creatures release a spray from their ends that is firey and boiling hot. However if it's whole Reservoir of spray is released, the beetle explodes in a spray of boiling acid.

A mixed army of Shavii diverse in both physical appearance and in their tools of war begin their quest for vengeance.
The split in territory is melded into the borders of Shavii.
Shavii "march" eastward towards the place blood was first spilled. Not finding any horsefolk in the immediate area but going just beyond and to the south, an encampment filled with the vile creatures is discovered. Careful to get into a tactical position before they are sighted, the army is halfway positioned when a stray beast sights the Shavii. Promptly, a ghastly shriek erupts from its maw to alert the others. Attempts to silence the horsebeast come too late and the battle is begun.
Shavii rapidly finish setting their lines as horsefolk charge outwards at the intruders. The first wave is decimated with metal rods thrown by the attackers, and not soon after more make their way past their fallen brethren, also falling in similar manner but their numbers great, allowing many to bypass the torrent of projectiles, quickly catching any backpedaling Shavii with their superior speed. Despite any modifications or armor, the horsefolk are not slowed in their mission to rip and tear apart the frail Shavii. Horsefolk numbers lessened in the volleys of telekinetic fire, but a quarter of the Shavii lie dead or dying. Fearing more losses or an attack from elsewhere, the Shavii retreat while the opportunity is present.
While many Shavii will not return home, and the horsefolk still present in the area, they've done well to honor Nikkolas in this attack.

Fighting now against a new foe, the Totem-Men share the struggle of their warring neighbor. Elven scouts begin to garner a reputation for their ventures and discoveries. Heading towards the next closest location, a wide river bordered by swampland is mapped and multiple great mountains in the south and east are noted, particularly the great southern one is seen producing a plume of apparent mist. 1.It's appalling to implement laws so we love our freedom, but we must stand together as one made of individuals for we are one in this world. To help mitigate this chaffing rules, we shall create the Pém Mão, a series of physical and mental challenges to test our people. This will give the people who stay at home something to adventure and train and will strengthen us in body and mind.
2. But, we should not forget our souls. The School of the Mind was a good start on understanding our being beyond the physical. Souls are tricky things for they want freedom even more than us. Luckily when the gods made us, they taught souls that being tied to a being of the material would grant real freedom. Mindlessly wondering the cosmos might seem a journey worth taking, but it gets dull with no change in the vast empty black space; that's not a problem here in the real world. A reason why we Sun Elves are born with a lust of adventure and freedom. Lately, our souls have been itching to interact personally with the world. This wouldn't be a problem if our soul leaving our bodies didn't kill us. We will research and meditate a way for our souls to leave our bodies, but still tether to us. (Trying to make astral project and what not.)
