Ah yes, your 'nid pet.

You knew that tyranids were fantastic at adapting, evolving - years of going from place to place across this planet of fucking boiling piss has taught you a thing or two about xeno from the tales you've heard and learnt along the way. And this little demon chihuahua has evolved into becoming the best little critter for you.

You provided her shelter, food and a steady aim. In exchange, she was your loyal companion and weapon, being able to wrap herself over your forearm and read your muscular impulses to grant you uncanny control over her.

Symbiosis.

What's her name?

You decide to go with Bubbles to the deck and try to fish something. You go and set up your fishing pole, and you get a few catches after an hour or so each, which you toss back into a bucket. Bubbles would eat one of the fish, but leave the rest for you.

She was a good girl. You gave her a headpat, to the which she emitted a soft squeal that sounded like a pig being slaughtered, in lower volume.

However later, after a catch, you saw it: a Tyranid-looking serpent erupting from the sea, roaring, and staring at the two of you.

"Is... he a friend of yours?" you asked Bubbles. It responded by fleeing into your clothing, hiding by holding onto your back. So, apparently they weren't friendly with each other.

Then, the beast charged towards you.

What do you do?
>Surrender your bucket of fish to it and then hit the boat's motors to full throttle to get out of there.
>Insist to Bubbles to latch onto your arm and be a gun, and fire at the enemy Tyranid.

Here's my theory of the day.
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Zoat
You know the Zoats? Engineered slave race of the Tyranids? They occasionally do their own thing and pursue their own agendas if they escape the influence of the Hive Mind? What if our Pipsqueak is like that? He's not worshipping the Tyranids like someone infect or a genestealer, so what if he was engineered by the Tyranids to look human, or humanoid?
>>
>>4253872
That sounds like an cool idea, though i don't know how he manages to look so human when even the genestealers are so monstruous.

Regardless, if he is indeed a renegade zoat, i reccomend we make it so Pipsqueak's given name is Xavier for reasons many will understand.
>>
>>4253912
Not the point I was trying too get across. The Zoat was an example. What I meant was that he could have been a Tyranid -or possible Zoat- engineered humanoid with some sort of passive empathy powers with xenos. He would be like the Zoats in the sense he was bio engineered like them by the tyranids, but would be his own classification of creature.

That or he's just a human with very passive and mild xeno friendship powers.

You remember back when you found Bubbles, it was just a small weird, helpless, spasming maggot that you found on your boat one day that, and out of curiosity, you decided to nurture it to try figure out what it was - treating it with care, treating it with love and soothing words, even if the larva itself seemed to be mindlessly violent, jumping around like popcorn on the deck for no reason. But you kept it safe in a jar, and eventually, gradually, let it roam free around the boat once it learnt to be less wild.

And it seemed to adapt to your kindness, becoming each day better less insane and more tame. It became better at following your lead and being nice to you, as you fed it and protected it. It was like if your generosity was grooming its development and growth into the little monster it is now.

"Hold on now big guy, we can sort this out, OK?" you exclaim, holding your hands up to it.

The Tyranid stopped.

Then, you 'heard' something. They weren't words, but they were very similar to it. It was pure meaning. The stuff in common between a translation of two languages, that wordless... "it".

"...The rogue {something that means mature adaptive weapon} is deaf to us, but the {something that means a juvenile human with a bare slither of 'them'} has suddenly shown availability to {something that means "our collective mind"}. Attempting to convert."

And then, a massive wave of feeling flushed over your body, a massive, fleshy gravity sucking at your mind.

"SUBMIT."
>>
...

But, then everything went back to normal. And you didn't feel any different.

"S U B M I T ." it tried, again.

...

Yeah, nothing. Aside from giving you the heebie jeebies, you didn't feel any different after that.

"Listen to me!" you then tell it. "Can you hear me? Heeey!"

"We have failed. But they are attempting oral communication with us." it emitted. "Attempting PERSUASION. Enabling puppeteer A239."

"Y-y-y-eeees." the serpent then tried to vocalize, hoarsely, trying to force its throat and vocal cords to speak. "Y-y-y-you heeeear meeeee....?"

"Yeah!" you tell it.

"D-d-d-do y-y-you w-w-w-wish p-p-pleasure? P-p-power? Y-y-you are ch-chosen to be-become s-so-so much m-moooore."

"What are you talking about?"

"W-w-w-we o-o-off-ffer you... y-y-your d-desssires..."

"We? We who? You know, it's not every day that I see a talking serpent you know, I need a lot more explaining here."

The Tyranid stood still and stared at you.

"Wweee.... Are... Gods...." it eventually explained. "W-we are many, b-b-but we are One. Wweee... a-are m-m-masters of all... J-j-join, and h-h-have all. Or h-h-have n-nothing and d-die."

>"Could you give me some kind of proof that you're not just tricking me? Not going to lie, a gift would be nice. I might better convinced with that."
>Just toss them an excuse like that they've made a real good case and that you'll think about it, maybe meet them up here again next week and then flee the fuck out of there and never return.

"Could you give me some kind of proof that you're not just tricking me? Not going to lie, a gift would be nice. I might better convinced with that." you tell him.

The Tyranid then stares at you for a moment. You hear the soft rumbling of it thinking, until it speaks:

"A-alright. I-I will prooooove t-t-to you o-of o-o-our g-goodwill. B-be g-gratefuuuul. W-wait here." it said, and then disappeared into the sea.

You took that moment to steer and aim the boat towards calmer seas which you could zoom past more easily, and waited, as the boat's engine softly purred idly.

The serpent popped out again and tossed a massive cleaver onto the deck of your boat with a loud thud. It looked Ork in design, but you could tell that the blade was made out of sheer gold.

"H-h-how's thi-" the Tyranid started off, cut off by the sound of your boat's engine roaring up to full speed, and you pushing several levers on the controls to their highest point.

"Bye!" you exclaim, and blast away, holding the best you can onto the controls as the boat got more and more speed, the growing pressure trying to make you fly into the back wall.

"W-WAIT, HUMA-" the serpent protested, but you were already speeding away.

"Prepare A239 for re-assimilati-" was the last you could hear from it ambient Tyranid thoughts, as you continued further and further...

--------------------------------------------

Once you're back and far into the sea, you take a moment to eat some fish, but spare no moment to continue fleeing.

You're in the middle of the sea like before, but with a new treasure to your name.

What do you do?
>Try to sail to some city-island and see if you can sell this thing for some good cash.

You decide to go sail off to a nearby market to this axe. After a couple of hours of sailing, you make it to one of the ports of the islands around here, and while you weren't familiar with this place specifically, you were street-smart enough to know your way around here, and lugging the axe behind you wrapped in cloths, you finally got to a large plaza of bustling merchants, haggling and swearing. Most were human, like you, but there were a few xeno here and there too.

There was a guy selling weapons - guns, chainaxes, the works. You got to him and you showed your coolass axe, uncovering it dramatically.

"How much would ya give me for something like this?" you asked him, proud.

He nearly coughed out his beer and laughed. "Boy, listen to me here. I ain't got time for decorations like that - it's a toy. That's gold, right? That's such a fucking soft metal! It's gonna break the moment you try to bash someone wit it. Unless it's just a cheap coating. Either way, I ain't interested son."

You shrugged. "Fine."

Trial and error, you thought. Now at least you knew more about this thing.

"Hey. Kid." you then heard a grave, booming voice tell you. You looked behind yourself, seeing a gigantic man in wasted azure armor, in a helmet with a pair of broken horns.

"How much for that thing?" he demanded.
>>
>>4254456
Giant azure armor?
Is that a speiss marine?
>>
"I'm surprised you're interested in something like that, Uriel." the weapon salesman said, amused. "Want to be pretty while you're fighting out there fighting for Mr. Big and Blue, eh? Bwahaha."

The helmeted man turned to you. "How much?"

"Eighty crosses." you said, aiming high. That would be enough to buy you food for three years or more - of the fancy kind.

"Ten." he spat out in reply.

The seller burst out in laughter. "Don't be so cruel with the kid." he told Uriel, jestingly. "What do you even want this junk for, anyways? Can't you easily get one of these out there in the battlefield?"

"Ten." he insisted, ignoring the other guy.

"Twenty." you haggled back. "There are hardly any Orks on this planet, this kind of thing is rare around here. It's basically a steal - what do you say?"

"Deal." the huge man replied, and after some shuffling under his cloak, he showed a gloved hand with the small pile of metallic plus signs. You grabbed it and stuffed it into the pockets of your own garbs, and saw Uriel take the axe and tie a leather strap to it, to then hang it over his back.

"A pleasure making business with you." he then said.

"Likewise." you replied.

"So, you're not from around here, right?" the seller asked you.

"I actually am. Just not from this island." you explain.

"Ah, gotcha. We've been getting a lot of foreigners lately!" the smaller man replied. "I never expected our little shitstain to get so popular! I'm glad, though."

"There's a big campaign a couple of systems outwards." Uriel then boomed. "Its location makes this planet marginally valuable. For relay and minor interests. There are better options for proper settlements elsewhere. For now."

What do you do?

"Hey, Uriel, want to go get some drinks?" you tell the huge guy.

"...Drinks?" he replies.

"Yeah, a cup of beer or two. You drink beer, right?" you inquire.

"Yes, I can. I can not get drunk, though. I'm an Astar-. Do you know what an Astartes is?"

"Uh, kind of? Wait, you're one of those like, superhuman that the Emprah made and stuff?" you nearly stammer. They were less... impressive than you had imagined them to be, but then again, after all of the fucked up shit you had lived through as a nomad on your boat, you were a bit used to this kind of stuff.

"Correct, it is a... long story."

"All the better for you to have a drink with me! C'mon, we made good business, we should celebrate." you insist.

He looks around, his horned helmet brushing against the fur surrounding it, and then sees another giant man in blue-tinted armor like himself in the market, who seems to chortle at him and then brush the air away to him, signalling him to go with you. and then sighs. "Fine." he eventually concedes.
>>
--------------------------------------------

You get over to an establishment called Koulie's Bar, and get a seat together in a dusty corner.

"So, you were made by that Terra god-man, right?" you start off, and then sip the broth off of your seaweed beer.

"More or less." he explains, holding his own jug of dark green alcohol. "I was recruited into that... man's army. A special army, which drugs you up, tortures and manipulates you into someone big like me. I used to be small, like you, you see."

The man then takes a moment and stares at you, thinking, but then seems to snap out of it.

"...But now I serve a greater purpose than the mere, mundane concerns of man." he then states. "Me and my brothers will make the universe a better place - a place of progress, advancement, and truth. Nothing like the stagnant, putrid pits of the Imperium. That is what we fight for."

"Sounds nice." you tell him.

"Indeed." he continues. "Not everyone agrees, though. So there's a lot of fighting. But it doesn't always have to be like that. We're building schools on this planet to teach people and enlighten them. Education is the greatest tool against war. Wars are often just very messy disagreements, after all. If we're all on the same page, we don't need to resort to violence to solve our differences."

He then pulled out a piece of parchment and wrote down some coordinates. "You can find a school here, if you're interested."

"I'm actually looking for a way out of this place." you tell him. "Off this planet."

"Why?" he inquires.

"Giant Tyranid worm fuck thing is after me." you reply holding your arms out to pantomime its size. "I pissed it off. And it's not like I have much to do here anyways."

"I see." he continues. "Tyranids are a big issue. Horrid creatures."

"I have one as a pet, actually." you boast, and then pull Bubbles out of your cloak. "Look."

"That's a Tyranid?" he asked.

"Yep."

"Curious thing. Is it for sale as well?"

"Hell no! She's my partner, Bubbles." you reply, and place her on your shoulder, and then rub its cheek with your finger.

"You have domesticated... a Tyranid?"

You shrug. "We just became buds." you tell him. "She's a very nice widdle giwl, now aren't chu?" you tell her, and pinch its cheeks.

"Fascinating." Uriel says back. "Additionally, if you are interested in a new home, I invite you to Davashi. Beautiful space station, beautiful people. It is one of our smaller logistical nodes, but it's nearby. Surely you can find employment there too."

"How do I get there?" you ask.

"There should be some shipments warping back and forth from this island towards it. You could get a ride, for a price." he tells you.
>>

>>4254943
Well I still want to stick around this rock. What do you think we should do? Given our status and starting point in this quest we don't necessarily have to go full "Foe tha EMPRAH" route or full chaos. Chaos is cool and all, but not so much the "lose your eternal soul and serve demon gods for the rest of your existanc."

You decide to go check out Davashi. After a couple short indications from asking the armored guys, you eventually reach a spot where several small cargo ships were parked, one behind the other, in front of a glowing portal whirling with fleshy gibberish that you couldn't really understand, but it hurt your eyes and brain to look at it for too long, like if you were looking at the sun. Except it wasn't bright. And it left a friend spot in your head instead of your eyes, but thankfully it slowly went away.

You approached a pair of discussing cultists sitting on the hull of their truck-shaped ship, who were sniffing some kind of dust they held in their hands, through slits in their masks.

"So like, dude, when you open your inner eyes, and like, see the ...beyond, it's like, whoa, dude. The eight beyond is particularly enlightening, you know dude? Like, getting to see time is a totally gnarly experience."

"Duuuude, how did you get so far dude?" the other asked.

"Hey, excuse me guys. You going to Davashi?" you asked them.

"Sure thing, little dude." one of them replied.

"Could I hitch a ride for... two crosses? How about it?"

"Suuuure thing little dude." the other chuckled. "You're like, a neophyte? An initiate in the mysterious ways of sensei Tzeentch?"

"...Sort of?" you reply, not really sure what they were talking about.

"Duuuude. We're here for you little apprentice, got a teacher yet or something?" the other asked.

"No?" you admit.

"DUUUUUDE." the other said. "We got to like, totally get this little dude settled, we can score some major points with the big blue boss if we like, help our little bro out, you know?"

"This is going to be your first time in the warp? You look like a native and shit." one of them asked.

"Yeah." you reply.

"DUUUUUUUUDE. Little bro's first warp jump, duuuude. Don't worry, dude. It's going to look like, super scary. But don't worry, dude. You're in good hands with your bros here. I'm Yazzy by the way. And that guy is Banjo."

"Yo, wassup. I'm Banjo. I play the banjo, haha! You should totally hear one of my eight-dimensional melodies, it's totally jamming and mind-popping. I design them around the fourth principle of-"

"You're going to bore the kid with that stuff!" Yazzy snaps. "C'mon. Little by little, we can't be impatient. Let his mind open more, he's not going to understand SHIT otherwise, you gotta think, dude"

"You're right dude." Banjo replies

"We gotta properly introduce this dude to the great big blue." Yazzy then points out. "We gotta like, make him one of us!"

"Duuude. You're right. We gotta be proper big bros." Banjo replies. "So, lil'dude. Don't fret a thing. We're gonna blow your mind with the good word of Tzeentch! You're gonna see wild shit you've never seen before, you're gonna see the TRUTH! TZEENTCH!"

"TZEENTCH!" the other repeats

Great. First the Nids, now these fucks. Everyone trying to get you to bow to some superior power. It was getting real fucking annoying.
>>
After listening to a couple more minutes of these guys talking about spiritual bullshit, it was finally your turn to enter the small warp gate. You could feel your veins crawling under your skin, something was fundamentally... wrong about the place you were about to enter.

"We're going in dude!" Banjo then said, with the wheel of the ship in his hands.

"WARP, WARP, WARP!" Yazzy chanted. "Let's go in!"

But your body, your soul was yelling: No. NO!

You felt Bubbles shiver too, and hold onto your back tighter. She was scared too. You knew she could feel the horror too.

"Here we go little bro!" Yazzy then spoke, and held you affectionately with one arm, and pointed into the abyss of chaos in front of you with the other.

And with a sudden blast, the ship was in.

---------------

You wake up, face up on the floor of the space-ship, feeling Bubbles licking your ears, and then nuzzling you. Everything was calm. Through the windows you could see vast, dark space.

"You alright there little bro?" Yazzy asked. "You sort of passed out there."

"...Yeah I'm OK." you tell him and stand up, stoking the head of Bubbles. "That was... intense."

You felt the ship then turn and then become surrounded by a shadow, for lights to then turn on around it. It had entered a docking area.

"Weeee're here!" Banjo announced cheerfully. "Time to get the stuff out. We can't be here in the docks all day, others are behind wanting to unload too. We got to move quick!"

"Well, see you soon lil'dude!" Yazzy then said. "Maybe we'll catch you sometime around the station, ya hear?"

You took that as your cue to get out of there. You took your large metallic case with your stuff and put it on your back, and held onto its leather straps and marched out.

"Thanks for everything. See you guys." you tell them.

---------------

You manage to navigate through the docking area towards a massive lobby filled with restaurants, bars, strip clubs and and other commodities for the transportation people - and in the middle of this place, there was a large map. You got to it, and managed to get better bearings of where you were.

The station was somewhat cylindrical, with the central axis being filled of paths to get to the different sectors of the station, with the ends of each axis being ports. You were currently at the "Lower Port". You wiped some grime off of the glass holo-display, which let you read better the nearest sectors: Medical ward, Chapel, Vehicle Repair. But there was a bit of everything if you looked higher up.

Despite most people being clad in a common theme of blues, purples and eyes, which you assumed to all be part of this Tzeentch cult, there were also several which didn't seem to fit that motif. Multiple-breasted dancers with horns on their heads, dressed in bright pink, emerging from the cabarets, the occasional person who seemed more machine than human, a group of burly men who were dressed similar to you - hey. They were from your planet, weren't they? You didn't have time to go up to them and talk, as they seemed to be rushing with purpose off to a ship, carrying weapons that had... eyes. And veins.

You stroked Bubble's head under your cloak, as she laid hidden and holding your hip.

Where do you go?

You decide to hang out around a tavern and just chill for a bit. Your brain still ached a bit from being in the Warp too, which you hoped to wash down with a bit of alcohol and a good meal.

You looked for a good stop to sit down in one of the taverns, and you found one with less cultists than usual and more "normal" people, so you wandered in and put yourself in one of its booths, near a group of somewhat fancily-dressed humans. Fancy, to your planet's standards, at least. They had coats, tricorn hats, robotic eyes; all a bit too gaudy for the austerity that you were used to, honestly.

"....Because the Marines are down there trying to become popular with the natives with their Tyranid problem." the most regal-looking one said to their troupe. "So they're not around here anymore - at least, not right now."

"Ah, gotcha." another replied.

"So we've got a good margin of time to get some business around here. Once the Marines are back - if they ever do come back - they're going to be all about helping them out and things are going to get pretty locked down. So this is our chance."

"But they might just go elsewhere, right?"

"I'm not a gambler. And with a place like this, we can't take chances. They're slippery and deceiving. But they won't turn down a good offer. You just got to play their game."

They were some kind of merchants, you assumed. A very slender and pale waitress with a beaked mask and her veins showing through her near-translucent skin approached your table.

"May I take your order, sir?" she asked in a cheery tone.

"Yeah. Do you have uuh... Flazfish? And Redweed ale?" you asked, bringing up your homeplanet's cuisine, after checking the menu that was engraved into one of the walls of this place.

"Sure do! Coming right up." she replied, and left.
>>
You then decide to eavesdrop on some of the cultists.

"There's mass later at twelve." one of them said. "You joining in? It's going to have some pretty cool people to sacrifice this time around too - it's going to be an actual Tech-priest and some other guys."

"You're joking." the other replied. "All of the way out here? One of the Mars-morons? Jinel is just trying to hype up their new chapel and stuff and want people there to kiss their ass, I'm not falling for it. I'm sure it's just going to be some poor bloke in disguise. And I've got my own little shrine, I'm cool."

"Oh yeah, Bobison the fruit stand guy is going to try becoming a Spawn there or something too."

"Bobison? What time is this, the fifth time he's trying it? BWAHA-Hah, the imbecile. He didn't even pass lesson 3 or something, right? The idiot."

"Yeah, well. You know, you've got to appreciate the guy, despite his limitations" the other replies and points to his head, but then his chest "...but he's got Tzeentch his heart and wants to give his all. And that's what counts the most, I believe. I support him."

"Pseh. I'd rather go see some Khorne Gladiator shows."

"Those... barbarians?... Why? It's so uncivilized. So pointless."

"Because I'm going to need to kill some more of my braincells with dumbass shows before I'm at the level of going to see the retardation of Bobison trying YET AGAIN to turn himself into a spawn!" the other rebutted, trying to sound high-brow.

"Would you like something more, sir?" the waitress then asked you, snapping you out of your idle attention, as she put down a tray with your food and drink in front of you.

"Uh, no. I'm... fine." you tell her. And then you start eating.

---------------------

After eating your meal and hearing that most conversations between the cultists were about mundane concerns with some religious references toss in here and there "hey, could you return that book I lent you days ago? c'mon", "the efficiency of sector 9 is at 89%, but with this new system, we can raise it to 90%, check it out - praise Tzeentch", etc; you get back to the lobby area to figure out what you're going to do with your life.

Who are you really....
>>
You decide to go over to the merchant guys to see what's up.

As you approach them from the other end, you manage to see who the other two that were with the leader guy were like - one of them was a pretty hot young lady with a third eye embedded in her forehead, and the other was a large-looking lad in overalls and tools sticking out of his pockets who didn't seem to stop giving her smiles and looks.

You step in and intrude their space.

"Heya." you tell them. "Nice to see some foreigners like me around here. Mind if I sit here with the rest of you for a drink?"

"What?" the chick said, and looked at you with a scoff.

"C'mon, don't be rude with the guy." the captain-looking man added and chortled. "You're new around here, aren't you? A native from Ghast?"

"Yeah." you confirm.

"There have been a lot of those around here lately. How did you get here?"

As you two talked, you noticed how the fat guy made some amused whispered comments to the girl, to the which she rolled her eyes and distanced herself by taking a drink of her jug of ale.

"I hitched a ride with some truckers." you admit. "You guys are merchants, right?"

"Sure are. Just some people looking to do some business." he replied. "I'm Santos. You?"

>Write-in a name.

"So uh, you guys know what's up with these people and Tcheese... che... You know, that thing." you inquire.

The girl coughed what she had half-swallowed back into her jug, at that, and the big guy leaned over her, asking if she was OK, and she swatted him off her.

"They're just the god of these people." Santos replied. "It's their religion. It's a deity of knowledge, progress, change and... other things."

The girl then leaned in. "And they'll eat your soul too and fuck you up in ways you couldn't even imagine if you're not careful." the chick hissed at you, with a rude smile.

"Now, now. Let's calm down. We must respect the local culture." Santos told her. "If they want to eat souls every now and turn people into monsters, that's just how they do things, who are we to judge? I'm sure they have their own reasons for it."

"I can't tell if you're being sarcastic right now or not." the girl said back.

"We're not missionaries, Miss Vera. Just. Merchants. Alright?" he clarified. "Don't screw with the locals. Let them be. It's not our business."

"So, about these people." you start off. "They're dangerous... then?"

"Hrmmm. Let's say that their birth rate outweighs their death rate." Santos explained. "Sure, they have some extreme customs, but they aren't aiming to erase themselves."

And once the waitress came by again, you asked for a glass of the same beer that the others seemed to drinking, and had some small chat with Santos, talking about how life on Ghast was like. Just the usual, you fishing, fighting off pirates or fleeing from them now and then, doing some trade here and there to earn enough to live on.

ikr? Think of all the adventures we could have.
>>
"So, Ferdinand..." Santos then asked. It was a bit weird to have someone call you by your whole name - back on Ghast, things were a lot most casual. Also, the beer tasted better back there, it had more of a tangy sourness to it and it was drank lukewarm. But this beer was... cold. Which was fine by you, you weren't picky at all with food and drink - it was just a bit foreign to the hot acidity in everything that you were used to. "...Since when has there been Tyranid problems on Ghast?"

"A month... or something?" you speculated. You did find Bubbles way before that though, years ago. You only started to hear about the bigger Nids relatively recently though, and it was getting real bad.

"And it's getting real bad. They're attacking ships, eating up farms, sucking up all of the plankton like some kind of cancer." you added. "I met one recently too. I got away, though."

"You managed to escape a Tyranid? Out at sea? Just you, alone?" the large man asked, tuning into the conversation, curious.

"Yeah man." you replied with a proud chuckle. "He tried to like, turn me and Bubbles to their side with his mind powers. But it didn't work - and you see, I..."

You chuckled as you took a swig your drink. "...I suckered him out of an Ork cleaver!" you added, and then heartily laughed and slapped the table.

"How?" the girl asked.

"I was almost shitting my pants there." you said. "But I got this pet 'Nid and -"

"You have a pet Tyranid?" the girl insisted.

"Yes, hold on, it's all going to fit together once I finish telling the story." you add, and make a gesture of your fingers meshing together. "Uuh. Anyways. So like, this Nid fish monster tries to make me their slave or some shit. It doesn't work on me for some reason, but it was real scary stuff. Like a big shadow trying to eat my mind but like, it just doesn't work. And it doesn't work on Bubbles apparently either because she's 'deaf' or something. So anyways, I try talking to it because it's so close and I might as well try before it eats me - it says that it's some God or something and that I've been chosen by them and that they'll kiss my ass with cool stuff. Nice, I don't believe them of course, why would anyone, you know? Just come up and say 'hey, I'm God you know?'. Please. Anyways, I ask for some proof of their generosity here. So the fish goes underwater to look for something, and while they're doing that..."

You tug a fist back like if you were pulling a lever. "...I'm already getting ready to get the fuck out of there. Nid comes back with a Ork cleaver made out of fucking gold, drops it on my ship, and right then..." you blow small laughs through your nose. "....I bolt the fuck out of there."
>>
"Poor sucker is probably still looking for me!" you laugh. "I sold my ship too, and got on a ship off the planet. Nid's going to lose it when he finds the ship and I'm not on it!"

You find Santos holding his chin with a restrained smile, trying to hold back his laughter and trying to seem serious. "Inter-heh-resting." he replied.

"Hold on hold on." the girl then interjected. "How did it... try to take over YOUR mind? I thought Nids only controlled each other?"

You shrug. "I understand Tyranid." you admit.

"You understand Tyranid...?" Vera replies.

"Like, I can hear them." you clarify. "I know what they say when they're talking their language thing. That mind stuff. It's hard to explain."

"So you're a psyker?" Santos asks.

"He's not." the girl butts in. "He doesn't shine in the Immaterium, I would've seen it already. Which makes this all the weirder. Maybe he is just lying, you know. But if he isn't, this is extremely curious."

You notice Santos and the large guy exchange looks to each other.

"...Ferdinand, do you have any plans for your stay here at Davashi?" Santos asks. You notice how Vera reaches for something in her pocket, and the large man leans further into the table, closer to you with a friendly smile.

"If not, we'd love to have you as part of our crew." Santos added. "I'm sure that we can arrange a deal that benefits us all, back on my ship."

It seems awfully sketchy to me. It's probably something we could discuss here, or this is a trap to bag them in their ship and sell us to some bidder.

Sorry I mean bag Fern iif he goes with them on their ship.

Kinda that hint she's reaching for a weapon in case things get hairy, of course I don't know if Fern can whip out Bubbles without giving away his intentions to hold the big guy or Santos at bio-gun point.
>>
>>4259267
Like I said, take care, but straight up holding them at gunpoint publicly is stupid. Have Bubbles remain in your arm, ready to go gun mode and threaten him, but don't show that. Ask him the plans, ask him who he is and ask if he had a way to prove he won't sell you to the government so a mago biologis can cut you up to figure out why you can speak to Tyranids
>>
>>4259277
It's kind of the point of aiming Bubbles at him under the table, so under beyond our little group here cant see.

Yeah, but we have an arm gun, and moving an arm under the table is extremely suspicious, it's an rogue trader (most likely) we're talking about. And threatening outright is stupid, we don't know their intentions fully yet.

"What do you have in mind?" you ask. The large man leans in closer.

"Well, someone with your abilities could be ve-" he starts off, but then a cultist arrives with a holographic display floating in front of them.

"Excuse me Mister Santos. Sorry for the intrusion. I'd like to inform you that Master Zalee has accepted your order with identification 12039-A, and the payment has been accepted as well. However, the Gellar Clones of the order will be delayed, unfortunately. Please excuse the inconveniences. We have been a bit saturated lately, please understand."

"Delayed for how long?" he replies.

"Three weeks." the man answers. "The pregnancy machines are done and gestation is complete, but further development requires more time. However, I assure you that we are not rushing anything. We only deliver the highest quality - and the latest generation of Gellar Clones can be produced this quickly for your convenience thanks to our expertise. May I help you with anything else?"

"No, that would be all. Thank you."

The cultist bowed, and then left.

"I still don't trust these guys." Vera hissed.

"We don't have a choice, Vera." the large man replied. "But don't worry. I'm not a Warptech specialist for nothing! I'm probably the best of the Imperium! I'll keep you safe. Safe and protected."

"Shut up, George." the girl said back and rolled her eyes.

Your pointed your thumb in the direction that the cultist left in. "What was that about?"

"We need to restock on some things for the ship's mechanical stuff." the big guy answered. "Don't worry about it."

"But, clones?" you insist, not seeing the connection between 'stuff that needs gestation' and 'mechanical stuff'.

"...Yes." he answers. "It's a bit complicated but we need a special kind of... livestock for an important part of our ship. Just how things go, it's technical and difficult. Don't overthink it too much."

...Right.

"So, Ferdinand. I don't like to discuss business in the open, but, having someone that can do the things you do could be somewhat interesting someone like me who travels a lot. Besides, I could always use a cabin boy. How much payment do you aim to gain?"

"...10 crosses a month?" you suggest, tossing out a pretty high salary.

Santos seems lost for a moment and pulls out a technological slab, before Vera interrupts him. "It's about half a throne."

He chuckles. "Alright, how about this, Ferdinand. You serve on my ship for a month, and during that time, I give you a place to sleep and three square meals a day. You won't have days off, but there will be downtime now and then when your labor isn't required, but otherwis-"
>>
And then you suddenly felt your head being held by the large man in front you who had been inching closer, who slammed your skull against the cold steel of the table.

"Careful!" you hear Vera exclaim. Dazed, you felt Bubbles crawl over to your fist, and you prepared to fire, but your head was pulled up again by your hair, you saw George still smiling like always, getting ready for another punch.

Big problem to consider is why would any cultist help? Khorne cultist are liable to sitting back and watching or attempting to fight all of us, Tzeentch are scheemers naturally, Slaanesh cultists would probably get off on watching this, a Nurgle cultist might inadvertently kill Fern from proximity alone. Not that it's impossible for a cultist to come and help if they didn't already get the hint that a kid with a group of adults was sketchy enough, but I very much doubt anyone would come.

You aim at George's crotch and will forth a shot, causing a small bubble-like sphere of caustic mass to fire and immediately impact between his thighs, scorching a hole through his reproductive apparatus, an opening through the which his fat and guts start to spill out of as well.

You hear a sharp mechanical hissing from Vera's weapon, and you duck under the table and fire more shots through her abdomen, making use of your small size, as she tries to blindly follow you with bolts of electricity from her gun.

Lastly, you get out of the booth and aim at Santos, who shows you the palms of his hands.

"Listen, we can talk this throu-" he pleads, but you fire a shot through his face.

Then, there was silence. You stared at the small massacre you had caused.

"NO FILTH, NO FUCKING, NO FIGHTS." you hear a large woman from behind the bar protest, clad in the usual blues and bird-like mask that most of the people around here had. "Look, I don't care if you're a Khornite or whatever the fuck, this is a Tzeentch establishment if it wasn't obvious enough, and we're not going to tolerate your kind of garbage around here."

She starts to approach you, and you take the chance to try to drag Santos out of there, and Bubbles grabs what's left of Vera, and you both try to pull them out of the bar. "Sorry, sorry." you tell her with a sheepish grin, as you feel around Santos' pockets and feel out a voluptuous bag of coins in one of the chest pockets.

"And what about the big guy, eh?" she demands.

You don't take a moment to answer her, and you see a blue-skinned cultist with an empty transportation trolley.

"I'll give you five crosses for that thing." you suggest, improvising, holding out the money from out of your pocket.

"Uh, sure?" he chuckles. It was a stupid price, but you had to get out of there quick. You didn't want others to steal your 'catch', here. You could see people start to talk among themselves, and far too many curious eyes following you now.

You slap the money into his hand, and pull the corpses onto the trolley, and you dart out of this restaurant area, with Bubbles on your shoulder, half-morphed into its gun form, trying to seem intimidating.

----------------------
>>
You drive yourself into the cargo loading area - the people around you seem somewhat curious about the two people you were lugging around, but otherwise didn't seem surprised at all - and you try to look very natural as you sneak yourself into an area with a lot of large, room-sized steel containers. Away from the ruckus, alone, you undress the two people and leave the bodies nude on the floor, and you throw their clothing and stuff indiscriminately into your metal backpack-box. But as you undressed them, you could feel under the skin of Santos several "pockets" with what seemed to be papers within, but there didn't seem to be any obvious opening to access them. Curious, you had Bubbles carefully bite openings into his flesh, and you extracted several official-looking documents in layers of thin plastic covers, as well as a few metal squares. You wiped the blood off of them, and you tossed them into your case as well. You gave the bodies one last full grope, checking if they had anything else on them, and aside from their cybernetics, there really wasn't much you could take off of them. And you didn't know how to pull that kind of machinery off of them, so you decided to just let them be.

You abandon the bodies and walk out of the labyrinth of containers, and casually stroll out and blend through the crowds, until you get to a bizarre garden area that was in front of the hospital building embedded into the general structure of the space station. You didn't have time to check out how the trees were weirdly crooked, light blue and had some eyes, and in relative peace, you start to inspect your loot.

You got Santo's full clothing, A document that says "Warrant of Trade", a document that says "Order 12039-A", another that says "Contract between Santos and Tessero", and another that says "Mortgage of the vessel 'Saint Mariana'". You also get a gun, which you can't identify, and a bag with 11 coins in it with "Imperium of Man" written on them and a throne engraved.

You got Vera's full clothing, a gun which you can't identify, and purse with 7 coins in it and some cosmetics.

Nice.
>>
You try to study the documents a bit more to understand what they mean, but they are mostly full of legalese and complicated terminology which is hard for you to grasp, but you gather enough clues to get the general idea:

Warrant of Trade
Gives Santos de Barrientos some special trading privileges for the Imperium of Man as a 'Rogue Trader'.

Order 12039-A
It is some kind of very plain receipt. It's a stamped invoice for a price in some 'Sliths' currency, with a list of a bunch of products and their prices. "Gellar Clones" is among them. A total is at the bottom, which is the amount that was paid to Master Zalee. Nothing else.

Contract between Santos and Tessero
Very similar to Order 12039-A, but it has a different font and structure. It lists a bunch of people's names with prices next to them and a total, though. It seems like Santos is to deliver these people to Tessero on Davashi, or something along those lines.

Mortgage of the vessel 'Saint Mariana'
It's some fractioned payment deal thing for a space ship.

What should you do now?
> Go to the docks and look for the Saint Mariana vessel. Claim it as yours.
> Look for Master Zalee and try to claim Order 12039-A for yourself.

You decide to go to the docks and you start to look for this "Saint Mariana" ship. From the mortgage document, it had to be super-expensive, which lead you to believe that it had to be big.

You wandered around the dock's grounds, finding plenty of people unloading and loading cargo into their vessels, and you had no way to really tell which one was the "Saint Mariana" - until you noticed one that had a distinct gothic look to it, which was different from the blocky and pragmatic look and occasional blue flesh of most of the others.

It looked like an ornate 6-story building, turned into some kind of spacial brigantine.

Was that it? It seemed like the best bet. You strolled over to it, not trying to get any attention to yourself just yet, and you just stood around, pretending to wait for something nearby - because you saw people standing outside of it, waiting. You get a biiiit nearer to try to hear them better.

"I think we should go looking for Master Santos." the middle-aged woman suggested.

"Not yet! Don't be impatient! Don't underestimate a man like him. And Vera and George! They're quite the team, those three. I'm sure they have it all handled." a tall, lanky individual next to her replied. "We must wait here, orders are orders."

"Yes, but..." she continued. "They aren't replying. Something is wrong."

"Maybe they're still talking buuuusiness. You know how hard the Tzeentchians can be at times, perhaps there was some irregularity in the order that they had to deal with - you never know. You need to give him a bit more time."

"ORDER?" a cyborg-looking fellow in a suit and some kind of weapon on his back blurted.

"Wait for now, dear." the woman responded. "Set a Servitors to deliver supper to cells 4 to 10. Set the others to default."

"CONFIRMED. PROCESSING... COMPLETE."

> Tell the people there to leave or get killed, that this ship is yours now.
> Tell them that Santos, Vera and George are dead, and that you can split the ship and the riches it has evenly between you guys and whoever more is left of the crew (if any) to get this over with.

Meh, it's too big anyway—it'll attract an unnecessary amount of attention and will be way to much upkeep for one person.
>just get your own ship
>>
>>4260249
We should probably break the news to them that Santos, Vera and George are dead. But do it in a way that we'd be able to get the money and we also shouldn't just tell them we killed them outright.

Maybe say that you were hired by them and were the only one who survived the attack of i don't know, some khornite thing.
>>
>>4260263
>>4260268
Why would they ever want to split the loot with us? Just the mentioning of say "I didnt kill them" is rather suspicious.
Why do you think they would be ok with this?
>>
>>4260275
The thing is ships are high end vehicles. Even the shitty small one. We got like around 10 or so worth of thrones after looting the bodies, but even then that wouldnt come close to buying a warp jumping worthy ship, let alone one with a functional cellar field.

>>4260276
>But do it in a way that we'd be able to get the money and we also shouldn't just tell them we killed them outright.
By not mentioning money and killing them. Right, but would they not be suspecious about the kid coming to them right after they get news that their buddies are dead?
>>
>>4260281
That's why i said that depending on the situation we could say that we were hired before they got killed by someone else.

But honestly? Yeah, it's suspicious. I don't know what else we could do though, it'd be a waste to not get anything out of this warrant and vessel mortgage.
>>
>>4260289
Well, to be fair, Ferdinand is incredibly easy to underestimate. I mean, some small pipsqueak killing a rogue trader, a muscle and a psyker? That's crazy, right?
>>
>>4260293
That is true! Who would suspect some teenager of killing a trio of Rogue Trader veterans? Perhaps you're right, but I very much am against the original suggestion of splitting the loot. Opening up a conversation like that is a good way to get shot. Especially after the middle-aged woman kinda showed her allegiance by referring Santos as Master. Same more or less applies to the Techpriest/Heretek and his servitor more or less.

So I guess I more or less support your suggestion, so long as we don't out right say "Hey I killed your boss and friends. Lets split the loot." And I'd still like to play by Fern's one strength and pretend to be some kid interested n the exotic space ship.
>>
>>4260313
Maybe we should do that later, but i think we should introduce ourselves are "Weird kid with the weird ability that the rogue traders found and hired before they died to some chaos freak"

If we do need to show why they'd have hired us, we could maybe reveal about our ability to talk to tyranids. As long, of course,as we hold the fact that Bubbles can turn into a gun in secret.
>>
>>4260322
>we should introduce ourselves are "Weird kid with the weird ability that the rogue traders found and hired before they died to some chaos freak"
But that's the same reason why he attached us. Because Fern had an ability they found valuable and were uncompromising enough to attempt to attack and subdue him.

>we could maybe reveal about our ability to talk to tyranids
Again that's why we were attacked. Maybe we can test the waters a bit instead with some causal questions, instead of immediately painting a PLEASE KNOCK ME OUT AND SELL ME TO A HERETEK OR BIO MAGOS red sign on our head.

There's also the question to consider why they wouldn't want to kill or capture us, because none of what you said sounded very subtle.
>>
>>4260351
True, but i don't exactly see in what way we could get the best of this situation.

Just going on and asking "Hey, what's poppin'? cool ship" isn't going to work, is it? I mean, yeah, they won't be suspicious if you just do that, but how are we going to manage to do something like get into their crew or get their spaceship?
>>
>>4260357
Is there a reason you can think of as to why saying "Hey, what's poppin'? cool ship" wouldn't work? Fern is young. Kids are naturally curious. It would make sense for a kid to point and say "Hey what's that?" The purpose of bring that up isn't to immediately join their ship but to sorta test the waters. Get a better feel for who they are through conversation and see where we can go from there and where to direct the line of conversation. It may or may not lead back to Santos, or the ship, the space station itself or something else entirely.

>but how are we going to manage to do something like get into their crew or get their spaceship?
Time and patience
>>
>>4260369
Fern's young, but i don't think he's some 12 year old kid right? He lived alone and there were several times where we had the option of getting wasted and paying for hookers
>>
>>4260377
Actually, i re-read it and it was basically two, one in the start with the brother island and the second where one of the options was literally gamble, get wasted and bang hookers.

The latter was even more stupid, considering we were on a chaos-filled station, but that just makes me think Fern's a young adult.
>>
>>4260377
>>4260379
Kid, teenager, they're close enough. A kid in the eyes of any Astartes or Eldar, but old enough to be horny. He's young enough to be curious about big Gothic ships. In fact anyone of all ages can be curious of Gothic ships if they're ignorant country bumpkins from his planet. So what's your point?
>>
>>4260389
Mostly that it'd feel weirder to play the random dude walking about who just decided to compliment their ship. It's a chaos space station, after all

But regardless, while i don't think that will get us in the ship, just going "yo i killed everyone, let's split the money" is not going to work, so your idea kind of works.
>>
Oh! Hey there was mentioning of that Tech Priest that was going to be sacrificed soon. Do you think that on the slight chance we smooth talk our way to be invited into their ship (then kill them), could we also look for that Tech Priest to sort of free / buy him so he could help us? He might be thankful and I think he would be more interested in studying us than outright trying to purge Fern like your average red blooded imperial citizen.
>>
You decide to try to broker a deal with these guys. These documents had to be worth something, right? Because why would Santos otherwise bother to keep it inside of his body otherwise?

You wanted to try to hide the valuables somewhere else, but you didn't really have anywhere to store them, so you just took them with you in your usual case for now.

Trying to seem natural, you wander over to them, and the lanky robotic guy is the girl to turn their head towards you.

"Hello, Ghastian. May I help you with something?" he asked you, in a friendly tone.

"Uh, yeah." You reply, trying to seem reluctant about this. "You see, uh. I wanted to bring up that your friends... died. We got in a big mess." you pretend to admit, looking away.

"A what now?" the lady asked, incredulous.

"We got attacked, everything happened so quickly. I was offered a deal to work with them and... We got ambushed." you say.

"Well now we know why they were taking so long!" the lanky individual said, to then get slapped in the nape by the woman. "How can you be so... so insensitive! Santos, Vera, George! Dead!"

"It's not my problem if the flesh is weak." he chuckled and then shrugged. And he leaned against the hull of the ship, putting his hand on it. "I guess we're going to have to rely on my Cogitators to get out of here now, huh. So much for the Gellar plan."

"I still can't believe you." the lady replied, under her breath. "And besides, how can we believe this kid?"

"He seems pretty honest to me." the tall one said.

"I think you just want an excuse to take this ship and all for yourself." the woman replied.

"Well, I sort of run this whole place. With my Servitors." he chuckled. "And who is going to blind jump us out of here, hm? I could kick you out if I wanted to now. You better reconsider, eh."

"You disgust me, Dominic."

"Now, now. That's not how you should refer to your new captain." he quipped back.

"Anyways. I managed to recover a few things after the attack." you mention, referring yourself more to Dominic, who seemed more eager about the prospect of taking over things. "I got a couple of papers - a mortgage for a ship, yes? It's how I found this place."

"Oooooh! I almost forgot about that. It could be handy to have, yes." Dominic said and extended his hand out to you. "Yes, you can return it to me."

You rose an eyebrow. "Yes, but I'd like something in exchange." you state.
>>
"Bwah-haha. So that's what this was about, huh? I'll just kill you if you don't give it to me." Dominic laughed, and gripped and turned the Servitor to face you.

"But if you kill me, you won't know where the paper is." you say back.

"Touché." he replied, amused.

"I also have more stuff, if you're interested." you admit. "But let's handle the ship for now. It's huge, and this paper has got to be worth something similar."

"Heh. We don't have to have it, don't overestimate its worth. But what do you want? Money?" Dominic asked. "Santos spent it all on some special order. But, uh. We could arrange a different agreement. We have Servitors and slaves - our trade is people. Pick out some slave that you like - or pick two of my spare Servitors here - they're loyal hard-working ones, they'll do whatever you tell them to do. How about it?"

"But we need all the slaves for the deal with Tessero." the woman mentioned.

"That's a deal between Santos and Tessero. It has nothing to do with us - if he wants them, he can make a new deal. Besides, what else do we have to offer? Are we going to pull furniture off the ship and give it to this guy? Hey, lad, do you fancy a ceiling fan? How about a toilet? Please."

Admittedly you weren't entirely against just getting junk to sell, but if they were implying that the people were worth way more, you were fine with that too.

"But Tessero ordered this kind of people specifically." the woman clarified.

"So?" Dominic replied. "We can just find some other Slaanesh-'tek' interested in exotic genetic material. And 'pure' people to indulge in corrupting too, at least - there will always be a market for this kind of slaves with those folks."

The lady sighed.

"So, lad." Dominic continued. "Want to check out the dungeons? No trickery, I swear. You have the documents anyways."

"Bring the slaves out here." You demand. "You've got a big ship and fancy stuff, I won't believe you wouldn't have the means to do that."

"Good point." Dominic replied. "Hrm - would a holo-display work for you?"

"Fine."

A holographic projection soon burst forth from the Servitor, an orb that showed cells with prisoners. The men and women all looked mostly human, healthy, and some looked extraordinarily gorgeous or handsome in their oddity. Each had stark differences with the usual form of human being. One of them was an extremely short and squat man, another was immense, huge, hardly fitting into the room-sized cell, and so on.

"But before we continue, what other stuff do you have?" he asked.

Just one to handle the housekeeping and making us meals, distracting our enemies, etc.

I feel like that'd be asking for too much
>>
>>4261632
But we are giving them two of the documents, which are more valuable than most of the cargo itself, which without will become useless, and the "deed" to the ship basically.

If not, then we can drop the exotic slave during negotiations.

Maybe we see how much we can get for one document then up the offer for the other stuff if its not enough and if we can?

Then again, without the contract for the slaves, the cargo may be worth less than normal and we can get more at something of a discount?

And also pretend to be clueless about the slaves, but use the Santos x Tessero contract as reference to try to swindle him for the most expensive one, he doesnt know we have that info (and maybe he doesnt have it either). He said we could “pick out a slave” or something, right?

But we're on a plant. We're on a space station. I'd prefer we hitch a ride from a less scrupulous vessel than their.

>>4261625
The Mortgage for the ship would be considered really valuable. Let's aim high and negotiate. If we fail we'll just gradually go lower but we know for a fac the Mortgage is worth a lot.
>>
>>4261720
I don’t think they particularly care about having the mortgage or not. They’re far af from the Imperium and they’re shady people anyways, dealing with Chaos fucks. They can easily just go around with this “stolen” ship

Are you saying we should sell the warrant of trade? That's some we really shouldnt just give away now that we have it. We could make a lot of money off of it. Just not from these guys.

"I got Order... 12 something something too." you mention, deciding not to play your entire hand just yet.

"Order 12039-A?" he asked.

"Yeah, that one" you confirm. "The one with the Gellar clones and other stuff."

"Right. That's nice." he replied, and then looked at you. "So, what do you want?"

"I want two of those Cogitators. And like, five Servitors. And a slave of my picking. And then I want a ride off this place to a place of my choice."

He chuckled. "Alright. First off: No. That's too much. Besides, what do you want a Cogitator for?"

You had no idea what a Cogitator was but you heard it in their conversation so you figured it was valuable. "That's my business. So, do we have a deal or not?"

He leaned back and smirked. "I'll give you two Servitors and one of them has a Cogitator in it, what do you think of that?" he suggested.

"And a slave." you insist.

"Fine, and one of those fleshbags. Whatever." he chuckled. "I'll show you the Servitors first."

He snapped his fingers, and after a short while, a pair of mindless-looking Servitors marched in from the ship, and stood next to Dominic.

"You're... Familiar with how they work, right?"

You weren't. And given how he greeted you as a 'Ghastian', and your clothing, you assumed he already knew that you were basically a space hillbilly of a sort.

"Are you stalling for some reason?" you ask, trying to shift the conversation.

"No! No, not at all. Anyways - this is Tobias 29. And this is Victor 12." he said. "Feel free to inspect them - you can see how well the cybernetic interface blends with the flesh, my craft of course. And the quality of the metal, this is not your average garbage tin. It's alloyed ceramisteel."

He continued explaining with more technobabble that you didn't understand.

"And the Cogitator?" you demanded.

"Uh, sure. Tobias 29, calculate the square root of... a number which is 23 multiplied by 10000."

The Servitor closed its eyes for a moment and winced in agony, until it opened its eyes again and started speaking with its usual deadpan expression. "4...7...9...POINT... 5.... 8...."

"That's enough, thank you Tobias 29." Dominic then interrupted. "See? It cogitates. It's a walking Cogitator! Isn't he special?"

You weren't sure if the others were also capable of 'cogitating' as well, because you had no way to tell the difference on the outside. They all had the same general appearance of being a cyborg with some weapon on it. And maybe this wasn't even cogitating at all and he was scamming you - you couldn't tell.
>>
"Anyways, fine." you concede, not wanting to waste more time and effort on being potentially further misled by this technical expert. "Let's check out the slaves." you continue, trying to bring the deal to a territory that you actually had information on. You vaguely remembered the top names as well. You were sure that if you could read those again they'd ring a bell for you in your memory. And you hadn't told him yet that you knew of the contract between Santos and Tessero which had all of the prices for these people, which you hoped would work to your advantage here.

"Alright." Dominic replied, and deployed the holographic display again, and with a reverse hug gesture, expanded the orb of light and forms. "We have 162 slaves on board, currently. Just... tell where you'd like to browse and I'll move the display there for you."

"Thanks." you tell him, and then squint, noticing that they seemed to have name plaques next to each cell on a digital display. "Could you... go closer? I want to give them a good look."

"Sure." he replied, and zoomed in, which let you see the names of the prisoners, although you mostly pretended to inspect the prisoners themselves.

After a couple of minutes of browsing through a few dozen of biological oddities and feinting enthusiasm for a few of them, the holo-display arrived to the pair of cells that had the most expensive slaves - Hoojul and Dijana. They seemed to be of the same race or sub-species of man, as they were both extremely muscular, light-skinned and blonde.

Despite that Hoojul had a wrinkled face, he sported unwieldy, oversized muscles for his tall height, and a huge and bushy beard, who was scratching something into the wall of his ornate cell with a shard of something metallic. It surprised you how someone as big a he was, could be that dexterous. His room was nearly entirely covered in gorgeous and hyper-realistic art which was hard to fully appreciate through the grainy quality of the holo-display. One of his walls depicted a snowy mountain peak and a forest of weird tree or mushroom like-things at its base, with a group of men fighting a massive beast by wrestling it as a group. The other wall showed a close-up scene of more 'big' people like himself and Dijana sharing a meal near a campfire, clad in primitive pelt clothing, and the floor had a circle of inscriptions and decorations which looked mystical or religious, to you.
>>
Dijana's room had a similar circle on her floor, but it was a lot more simple and minimalistic. The girl was doing some kind of exercise, her immense legs were wrapped around the upper part of her cell's bars, and she was lifting her torso up and down to train her abdomen. Then, she back-flipped off, and walked over to her bed. That gave you a better look of her ludicrously huge tits and asscheeks, the only place she had any fat, and her mind-bogglingly gorgeous face for a few moments - it dazed you for a moment how a face could be that extremely hot. Then, she did a hand-stand with one hand on the rim of the bed, and started to pump herself up and down.

Dijana's price was at 600,000 thrones and something, you didn't remember the other digits. Hoojul's was 400,000 and something, and the other slaves were just 100,000 or so and steeply less from there.

"Interested in one of those?" Dominic asked as you browsed, bored. He didn't seem to react to that you were browsing the most expensive slaves right now. Maybe he just didn't know that they were so valuable?

"Eh, I don't know. Let's see the others." you tell him.

"Fine." he replies

You browse a couple more, and eventually, you break it to Dominic. "Look. Whatever. I'll just take the one with the giant tits." you tell him.

"The muscle girl or the one with six breasts?" he asked.

"Uuh. Muscle one, I guess." you reply.

He sighed out in relief. "...Good, good. Glad you finally decided on something. Deal."

"I also have another thing." you tell him. "The... Contract between Santos and Tessero. I'll trade it for a trip off this place."

"You also had that?" he blurted out, surprised. "Well. We've got issues with this ship to get it flying at all, so I can't really take you anywhere just yet." he told you. "But, uuuh. I do have a bit of cash for you to buy a trip somewhere, if you'd like that. The only way off this place is going through a Magegate, which will take you to another Tzeentch settlement. Or using a ship like this one."

"I'll take the cash, then." you tell him.

"I only have ... about 40 thrones to give you. That'll do to buy you a ride for you, the girl and the two Servitors, I guess? Up to you. I'm not particularly interested in the contract either."

"Fine." you tell him. "Deal."

"Great doing business with you!" he told you, and extended a hand. You shook it.

“By the way. The slave should have a small chip behind their ear. It immediately paralyzes them if you ask one of the Servitors here to do it. You can kill them too, if you must” Dominic added. “Don’t forget about it. It’s very useful. I suggest making a shortcut in the Servitor for it, so that it activates with some command word or something. Anyways, that’s up to you.” he explained.

“Right.” you replied.
>>
-----------------------

After a standoff, where Dominic had Dijana and the Servitors on his side, and you had the documents on the other, you made the exchange, and he immediately fled into the ship afterwards with the others.

"Let's go, Dijana, Tobias, Victor!" you tell them, and hold the hand of the girl with one of yours, and the hand of a Servitor with the other, and then you jog away and lead them away from the port, until you arrive at the restaurant lobby area again, but you avoided the restaurant you were kicked out of before, sticking to the other side of this place.

"Hellou." Dijana told you, in a thick accent. She pointed to herself. And then to you. "Whaht." she asked.

You tilted your head at her. "What?" you asked.

She looked away and thought for a moment. "Me..." she started off. "Me... Kijou-hila... uuuuh...Kijou-hila..." she said, trailing off, and going back to thinking again and muttering things in a language you couldn’t understand.

"Me... Out...?" she then attempted.

"Yes, you're out of the ship now." you tell her.

"Me... Out, out, out?" she then asked again. A couple of bypassers stared at her body, mention something about Slaneesh, and then just continued on their way.

"Yes, you're out of the ship." you tell her. "You're with me now."

You notice another map here as well, but then you see someone press their hand into the display, which causes more information boxes to pop up about the place he pressed. Curious, you wait for them to finish, and then you try the same thing around the port area, finding a few established transport services and their advertisements for prices for sending people around, along a short blurb about the location they’d send you to. The Servitor and your slave would pay a full ticket each.

I think it would be good to check if the servitors are good and all. The guy obviously knows Fern isn't very knowledgeable, so he might have tried to rip him off.

As for our travel destination, i think we should go to Muj III, there's probably some interesting stuff there. At the very least, we'll be able to sell some stuff.

Also, we better NOT sell Dijana, i'd feel really bad if we did that, and not because of the massive titties, i'd just feel bad for her.

>>4262614
Depending on where he is, this could be nice. As long, of course, as we don't have to shoot Khornites or something.
>>
>>4262724
I'm kinda disappointed we didn't get a chance to get Hoojul. I mean look at what he did to that wall with just a chunk of scrap metal. He's an artistic genius! I'm almost tempted to try and remove Dijana's kill chip and see if she'll willing to do a prison break.

I actually sort of want to go back to Ghast to see if we can tame any more Tyranids there, maybe not the big worm one in the sea but just any we could find. But I know that could be a bad idea so I guess so long as we don't go to Sampujol or Julek. Hopefully after our buisness on this station is finished.

To be honest, yeah, it's sad, that guy's a genius. But a prison break would never work, we're dealing with fucking rogue trader mechanicus here. We'd get killed quick.

It'd be nice if we could get both, but uh, Dijana is also a great choice. She's also younger i think? And i guess that means she has more time to be free.

Why? I honestly don't know, but she looks way too pretty to be one of the bio enhanced abominations that an Mago Biologis would make.

We're on a station of chaos cultists though, and Santos is a rogue trader. I doubt she was made by a techpriest. She's probably a heretek or xeno creation.
>>
>>4262794
>Santos is a rogue trader
Correction: was. He can't be a rogue trader if he's dead.
>>
>>4262794
That sounds doubtful. She's too natural looking - hereteks wouldn't do it because they don't care about that shit, chaos cultists like way more depraved stuff and xenos, once again, don't really have a reason as to why they would do that. Or the know-how.

And remember, Rogue Traders don't just trade with chaos cultists. That's like, the person they trade the least with. Their man business is to go around the frontiers of the imperium to trade and stuff.

And given the clothing used by both her and the other guy, who was, like >>4262788 said, most likely painting his planet, they're most likely humans from some primitive world that not even the imperium has found yet.
>>
>>4262794
