Were you to travel the stars, across this vast universe, no doubt tales of a mighty warrior race would reach your ears. Many speak of the Saiyans with awe and wonder, marveling at their power and aspiring to become like them. Others speak in hushed tones, of the fear and despair in facing the warrior race in battle. But one thing all agree on, is that standing against the might of the Saiyan race would spells certain doom. Many have tried, several going as far as to invade the Saiyan’s homeworld of New Salda. Yet every invasion has failed, defeated by the Saiyans and their most powerful warriors: the golden-haired Super Saiyans, and the green-haired legend who leads them. But once more they march, leaving their home behind and advancing into the heart of their enemy’s territory. Which side will triumph, and who will perish?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball world. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the radiant symbol of Saiyan might. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of 20,166,000 and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become one of the strongest beings in the entire universe.

Current Arc: The Great War

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After speaking with Cooler, who showed off his new strength, Arctus finally arrived. Bringing the mighty, massive Lucrehulk ship into New Salda’s atmosphere allowed Karn to truly appreciate the massive ship’s sheer scale. But there wasn’t time for gawking at that, as the time had finally come. After telling his remaining children, those who’ve not gone off to war with the Hive, Karn and Meloka took their belongings to the new ship then began exploring it’s layout. As the pair were studying the ship they were attacked, Karn and Divine Dragon Force ending the Kig Yar and it’s Stand. But as we rejoin Karn, you’ve just met Daiko and B7, the Saldaman showing off it’s newfound strength.

“HAAAAAAA!!” it shouts, the creature’s crimson aura changing to gold as the dark-skinned being’s body begins changing as well. You’re awestruck as it’s entire body swiftly changes form black to golden, and with a final shout finishes the transformation in a flash of light. B7’s jump in power is astonishing, the now-crimson-eyed looking to you. “Well, what do you think?”
“Impressive.” you say, your mind taking a moment to figure this out. “So, you can go Super too?”
“Yes. I used this power while fighting off that awful Destron Gas.” B7 explains. “Those gas monsters nearly overran the lab, but with this form I was able to push them back.”
“Of course you were.” Meloka says, smiling at the tiny creature. You’d told her before about this unique Saldaman, and it seems she likes him. “And your power is now quite impressive.”

“Thank you, but I’m nowhere close to yours or the General’s level.” B7 says, catching you both off-guard.
“What-?” you start, unable to find the words.
“How-?” Meloka says, facing the same problem. B7 sees you both struggling, and answers the question anyways.
“Miss Raven has been instructing me.” he tells you both. “She said my energy felt unique, and she became more interested in me once she heard how I came to be. Although, I’ve never actually seen her. All of our talks have actually been through telepathy.”
“Isn’t it wonderful?” Daiko asks you. “Thanks to Raven’s assistance, B7 has grown and learned far more than I’d ever thought possible!”
“And now I am ready to stand beside you on the battlefield!” B7 says, saluting you again. “Through whatever trials we may face, I’ll stand by you until the end!”

“Well, you can certainly talk big.” you tell the Saldaman. “I’ll admit; I’m curious to see just what you can do.”
“Then how about you two go planetside for a quick tussle? Daiko suggests. “It will be some time yet before the ship is fully loaded, and the residences for the soldiers in both arms mounted and secured.”

>"Of course you were.” Meloka says, smiling at the tiny creature. You’d told her before about this unique Saldaman, and it seems she likes him.
Her instincts know, THEY KNOW HE'S OUR KID, even if she doesn't realize it.

....huh, my ID is calling me stupid. I feel like this is personal somehow.

“Of course.” you reply. You’re rather curious just how powerful he’s become, and what better way than to test him yourself?
“I gotta go take care of something, so you two have fun.” Meloka says, you noticing one hand resting idly on her stomach as the other goes to her forehead. You realize as she teleports away that she no-doubt wants to leave the soon-to-be child behind, for it’s own safety. After all, those Covenant swords seem to cut right through flesh, no matter how powerful you are. So after she leaves you turn back to B7, addressing him.

“Whenever you’re ready, let’s do this.” you say, B7 immediately taking off. You follow close behind, the Saldaman flying back down to the planet in the empty plain near the labs. As you land you power down, reverting back to your base form. Even in your base your power is still greater, but not by much. He’s surprisingly strong. Stretching and rolling your shoulder, B7 waits until you’re finished before speaking.
“Are you ready?” he asks, taking a stance almost identical to King Vegeta’s. Left arm up to guard, right held back and ready to counter, B7 clearly looks like he knows what he’s doing. So you take your own fighting stance, similar to his own as you both wait for the other to make the first move. But you’re not left waiting long.

“KEEEEEE!!” B7 shouts, his head splitting open and spraying what looks like acid. You leap back, the Saldaman immediately charging as you move. He lunges in, right hand’s claws aimed for your chest as he punches, but you’re ready. You swat his right arm aside with your left, following it up with a hard right of your own. B7 ducks your strike, them lunges upward with a headbutt to your jaw. Caught by surprise the hit snaps your head backwards, B7 spinning and striking you square in the face with a right back kick. You flip backwards, landing on all fours and sliding to a stop. His kick had surprising power behind it, forcibly reminding you his strength right now is around 80% of your own power. Taking him too lightly couldget you seriously hurt.

“Not bad.” you say, rising back up to your feet and retaking your stance. “This could be good.”

But what now?
>Rush and attack, test his defenses against your different styles
>Defend, see what all he can do
>Focus on evading him, see if he can actually hit you if you’re focused on dodging
>Keep your distance and use ranged attacks, see what he can do against them

“Now that’s more like it, c’mon!” you shout, aura flaring up around you. “Give me everything you’ve got!”
“GYAAAAAH!!” B7 shouts, launching himself directly towards you. Planting your feet you hold your ground, catching his hard right with one of your own. But he doesn’t stay there, twisting around inside your guard and thrusting a lightning-quick left elbow into your gut. He moved faster than you’d expected, the strike leaving you wheezing. Continuing his motion he spins, swinging his right for your head. But you’re ready, blocking his strike with your left forearm and leaping back, trying to put space between you, but B7’s having none of it. He keeps close, his small size letting him stay just inside your guard and land several fierce strikes to your chest. After the sixth or seventh strike you roar out, blasting him back with an Explosive Wave. Not enough to really hurt him, but more than he could withstand.

“Haa, haaa, not bad.” you say, panting a bit as you retake your stance. “But is that all you’ve got?”
“Not yet!” B7 says, flaring his golden aura up around him. You watch as his ki gathers around his three-fingered hands, claws glowing golden as the ki turns into a half-dozen foot long blades. He crosses his arms, launching himself forward with a shout of “Golden Cutter!”
“Barrier!” you respond, lifting your right hand and forming your shield of energy. B7 rushes right to you, golden energy blades striking your shield. But to the Saldaman’s surprise, his blades cannot pierce through it.
“Huh?” he says, looking down at his blades confused. Taking advantage of the fleeting distraction you strike, landing a swift left jab to his face. Your strike sends him back, the Saldaman flipping backwards and landing on all fours. “It looks like I cannot cut through that shield. But I’m not done yet!”

Deactivating his blades he rushes in once more, this time easily charging straight through your shield. As he does, once more he reactivates his blades, pressing the assault.

“HAA! Haa haaa haa haa!” he shouts, slashing and thrusting at you with his extended ki claws. You focus your own ki into your fists, countering his ki with your own. Now able to block his energy blades, you’re able to mostly stand your ground. However, despite being noticably stronger than B7, he’s a touch quicker. To avoid getting slashed you’re forced to give ground, B7’s assault absolutely relentless. But as he continues his attack for several minutes, you start to see it: he’s beginning to slow down.
cont
>>
>>4271866
Despite having access to an extraordinary power, you begin to realize that B7 hasn’t mastered his transformation yet. He’s beginning to gas out, his assault burning up his energy by the second.

“GYAAAAAAH!!” he roars, his attacks becoming more wild and haphazard as he tires out. With a final lunge he tries to swing for your head, but you catch his right arm and twist. Dropping down to a knee as you twist you throw B7 over your head and slam him down to the ground. He lands with a thud, golden blades dissipating as his golden form melts away. After a few moments he’s back to normal, chest heaving in exhaustion. “D-Dammit. No-Not enough. Power.”

What now?
>Congratulate him on his ability, and give some pointers on how he can improve
>Try and taunt him back up to his feet, maybe he’s still got a little more in there?

“That’s not it.” you say, taking a seat beside the exhausted Saldaman. “Your new power is impressive, it’s really something special. But now that you have it, you need to train it.”
“Train it?” he asks, confused. “What do you mean? How do you train a transformation?”
“It’s like training anything else.” you tell him, going into your Saiyan Berserker form with a flash of green light. “You have to adapt your body to it’s new, transformed state. It’s what I’ve been training myself for the past year or so actually, and on and off before hand.”
“Really?” he asks, sitting up slowly. “And how do you adapt to it? The power, I mean.”
“Practice.” you tell him, taking a deep breath and focusing. As you do your green aura fades completely. “At first you have to restrain that power, and not let it simply pour out of you uncontrollably. Then, once you’ve restrained and can fully control it, then you can work on full mastery.”

“I see.” B7 says, looking up at you. Despite being many years older than any other Saibaman, or Saldaman, he’s still basically a kid. A highly-intelligent, bio-engineered weapon of subjugation, but still a kid nonetheless. And despite how much you may personally like Daiko and the other scientists, they aren’t fighters. None of them know how to even access the powers of a Super Saiyan, much less master it. “Do you think...That during this trip anyways, that you could help me?”

“Of course.” you reply, laying your hand on his head. B7 smiles up at you, you grinning un response. He will need guidance on mastering this power, and who better to do it than you? You rise back up to your feet, returning to your base form and offering a hand to him. B7 takes it, you pulling him upright. “But for now, let’s go back. They may still need our help getting ready.”
“Right!” he shouts, the two of you lifting into the sky and returning to the massive Lucrehulk. Going back through the inner arm’s energy field, you find Daiko ordering several normal, noticeably weaker Saldamen in his mechanized suits around.

“No no, not there!” he shouts at one, pointing further along. “Over there! By the gravity enhancer module! Oh, hello Karn. B7. So, how was the match?”
“B7 here is rather impre-“ you begin. But are surprisingly interrupted by the Saldaman himself.
“Karn said I could train with him during the trip!” he shouts excitedly, Daiko turning fully to the two of you. “He said he’ll help me master my transformation!”
“Really? Well, that’s good news.” Daiko tells him, then addresses you directly. “So he passed your test, did he?”
“Test?” you ask, confused. “What do you mean, test?”
cont
>>
>wip art by @Robo_sama

“The test you give to see if a Super Saiyan is good enough to train with you.” he says. It takes you several seconds to process what he said, it not making any sense. A test? When have you ever tested someone to see if they were “good enough”? But seeing your expression, Daiko hastily continues. “At least that’s the rumors I’ve heard. You pick and choose who you’ll allow to study under you, and from what I’d heard several Super Saiyans had been rejected already.”
“There’s really a rumor like that?” you finally ask him. “I had no idea.”

“It’s apparently a widespread rumor, as it made it all the way down to my ear in the labs.” he says, Daiko clearly nervous now. “But I don’t remember who exactly I heard it from, some woman who’d cone down asking about training weights.”
“I see.” you reply. That’s not exactly a pleasant rumor, but you understand how it could’ve possibly started. But that leaves one question:

What do you do about it?
>Nothing. Addressing a rumor isn’t worth your time, and if someone wants to learn from you then they should ask

>>4272359
“Look. I don’t know who started that rumor, and I don’t even really care why.” you say, raising your voice enough for it to carry to a group of Saiyans you see standing around idly nearby. You want to make sure this gets out. “I’ll teach anyone who asks me to, and means it. Anyone, Super Saiyan or not who is determined to improve themselves is more than welcome to ask for my help. Make sure you tell anyone who asks or spreads thst rumor, because we’re all on the same side here.”

“Of course sir, I’ll do what I can to dispel those rumors.” he says, not noticing the Saiyans who’ve gathered a short distance away behind him as you’ve been talking. You leave him, and them to it, turning and leaving through the energy barrier and reaching out to Meloka telepathically.
“Hey hun, you all finished up?” you ask her.
“They can’t take him out.” she says, shocking you. “The doctors said that, because he’s been developing while I’ve been in my Super Saiyan Three form, that taking him out would almost certainly kill him. There simply isn’t any infant pod or even healing pod packing enough power on the planet to sustain him like I’ve been.”
“So when can he be taken out?” you ask. Meloka doesn’t immediately reply, you realizing she’s probably talking with the doctors. And after what feels like a few minutes she finally answers.
“He can’t.” she tells you. “They say he’ll have to be born naturally, when he’s fully developed to no longer need a womb.”

Her answer shocks you, it’s something you hadn’t expected. You’d believed that she would’ve been able to have the kid here, where he’d be safe while you both went off to war. But this could change things considerably. Meloka’s never actually carried a child to term; hell, you don’t think ANY Saiyan woman has since the tech became available back on Planet Vegeta.

“Anyways, I’m headed back now.” she tells you. “I need to talk with Dr. White about this.”

“I’ll join you.” you say telepathically. “If this is the deal, I need to know what’s going on too.”
“Alright, I’ll meet you inside.” she says, you ending the link with her and instead reaching out to both King Vegeta, and Lord Freeza.
“We’ve got a problem.” you tell them, relaying what Meloka’d just told you. “If this war goes on for long, she’s not going to be able to fight.”
“Damn, I hadn’t considered this.” Vegeta replies. “Everyone will be on that ship together, no doubt several will get pregnant before we even reach Sanghelios.”

“Sanghelios?” you ask him, Freeza answering.
“Homeworld of the Sangheili, and their most heavily-fortified fortress.” your friend and leader says. “That will be the crux of this invasion. If we can take it, it will break their will. But, from what Arctus has told me, it’ll take the Lucrehulk at least ten months before we arrive there.”
“Ten months, huh?” you ask him. “Sounds like plenty of time for them to figure out what’s coming.”
“Even if they do, they won’t be able to stop us.” Vegeta says confidently. Losing Meloka’s aid in battle for awhile before we reach Sanghelios does cut into our effectiveness, but for that important battle she should be ready.”

“I’ll let you know what I find out, we’re talking with Dr. White now.” you tell them, raising your right hand to your forehead and teleport by Meloka’s side via Instant Transmission. She’d already returned to the ship, and in fact is already in what’ll be Dr. White’s medical bay. Ending the mental connection with them, you see the elderly medical professional seems slightly alarmed by your sudden appearance, but quickly settles down as Meloka explains what she’d learned.

“Hrmm, I see.” he says, sitting in his chair which has already been set up. The rest of the room’s supplies have already been brought up, or at least that’s what you assume is in all the boxes. “So you never carried child to term, always had them removed around four-month?”
“Yeah.” Meloka says, your wife rubbing her right arm with her left. “I, I’m nervous.”
“Bah, no need.” he says, waving off her worry. “I deliver many babies back on my world. You in good hands.”
“Thanks.” she says with a relieved sigh. “But, what about before then? Will I still be able to fight if I need to?”
“If needed, yes.” he says. “But best not to. After eight months, no strenuous activity. No training, no enhanced gravity, and no going out to fight. You stay on ship, until child is born.”

“You’re right.” she says out loud, leaning over and resting her head on you.
“If you can’t fight, you can still instruct.” Dr. White says, turning and sitting back down in his chair. “Possess wisdom and skill beyond your years. Teach the young, spread your skills among them. Fight enemy with mind, let the young fight with body. I’ll keep both you and little one safe.”
“I...You’re right.” she says, sighing out. “Thanks doc. I really needed to hear that.”
“Part of job.” he says with a chuckle. “Fixing body easy part, fixing mind much harder.”

Comforted, you and Meloka leave Dr. White’s new office and go about setting up your room. Which doesn’t take long, as the two of you don’t exactly keep a pile of personal belongings. As you’re putting asay your suits of armor, you see Meloka’s brought her own as well.

“What?” she asks. “I wasn’t planning to go to war wearing my gi. It means a lot to me, I don’t want it getting torn up by a buncha damn splitjaws.”
“Hey, I’m not judging.” you tell her. “We’ve all got out own-“
”Attention, everyone.” Freeza’s voice calls out over the ship’s pa system. ”It is time! Time for us to go forth, and conquer!”

”The moment we have all worked so hard for is finally upon us! From this day forward we are at war, until our enemies lay slain before us! Onward! Onward, to victory!”

“About time.” you say, as suddenly you feel the entire ship lurch. You feel a slight trembling through the floor for a moment or two, then it subsides. It’s finally happening!
“You ready to go?” Meloka asks you. Which is a fair question, as it’ll easily be a year if not two before you return home. Are you sure you’re ready?

Well?

“Yes, I’m-wait.” you say, an idea coming to mind. “I’m gonna take a quick last look around the old ship, make sure we’re not forgetting anything.”
“You’d better hurry.” she says, you kissing her on the forehead then taking off at a sprint. You rush outside the ship, flying down to your old ship. It’s been left open, you rushing inside as you reach out mentally to New Salda itself.
“It’s time for me to head out.” you think out, feeling New Salda’s presence. “We’re headed off to war now, it’ll be many months before I can make it back.”

“I understand.” New Salda’s booming voice echoes inside your mind as you scour your old ship for anything you may need. “Conquer and consume them, then return to me even stronger, my champion.”
“I will.” you say, having searched your ship over yet found nothing else, rush back outside your old ship. Looking up, you can no longer see the massive Lucrehulk. So focusing your mind and raising your right hand to your forehead, use the Instant Transmission technique to return right by Meloka’s side. “I’m back.”

“Find anything?” she asks, you shaking your head. “I didn’t think we’d left anything behind. But I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
“Especially with as long as we’ll be gone.” you reply. “I hope they’ll be safe.”
“Between Ubo and Raven, not to mention Tatsu, it should be fine.” your wife says, stretching her arms over her head. “Besides, if anything really bad happens we can always go right back.”
“Yeah, you’re right.” you say, wrapping your wife in your arms and pulling her close. “They’ll be fine. We need to focus on what we can do before the battles start.”

“Hey, Karn?” Orlen calls up to you from downstairs. “Someone’s here to see you.”
“Huh?” you mutter as you and Meloka share a glance. You’re not exactly expecting visitors. Who could it be? You grab your weapons and put them back on your back, Meloka grabbing hold of her twin maces as well. You don’t feel like this is a trap, but can never be too certain. Together with your wife you both walk down the stairs, coming out on the opposite side of the lobby as the door. And standing there you see a younger Saiyan woman, who appears a little nervous. As she sees you both her eyes widen, taking an unconscious step backwards. “I’m here. What can I do for you?”
“U-Umm, I. Well, I heard what you told...” she begins, clearly nervous and stuttering all over herself before trailing off into mumbling and looking away.

You don’t know who this young Saiyan is, but you have a pretty decent idea what she’s after by coming here. Wordlessly you begin walking over to her, the young Saiyan flinching as you move. But she doesn’t retreat, despite visibly trembling she holds her ground. So you walk right over to her and place a hand on her shoulder, then telepathically reach out to try and calm her down.

“What’s your name?” you think to her. She doesn’t meet your gaze, but almost immediately replies with telepathy of her own.
“Lattu.” she responds instantly, none of the previous hesitation or stuttering present in her mental communications. “It’s nice to meet you Karn, you’re bigger than I’d thought you be.”
“I get that a lot.” you say. “Nice to meet you, Lattu. What can I do for you?”
“I heard what you said earlier.” she says, now speaking out loud as she rubs her left arm with her right hand. “Did you mean it? You’ll really train anyone?”
“Of course, I’ll train anyone of us who’s willing to work hard.” you tell her. “I don’t care about ranks, or positions or any of that. All that matters is if you’re ready to put the work in to improve.”
“Yes, I do!” she shouts, you subtly activating your scouter as she talks. “I need to get better, and stronger! Y-You may not remember me, but back during the Covenant invasion, you saved me. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be alive right now. If I die now, it would’ve made your work all for nothing. So I’ve I gotta do my best, and make sure you didn’t save me for nothing!”

“Well, you can certainly talk the talk, once you get out of your own way.” Meloka says, your wife joining in. “But can you back it up? We won’t go easy on you just because your powerlevel is only eighteen thousand. Either you’ll get stronger, or we’ll break you.”
“I understand!” she says, almost on the verge of tears for some reason. “I’m tired of holding everyone back, of just being in the way. I have to get better, strong enough to save people and not always the one being saved!”
“Then you’ve come to the right place.” you tell her. “By the time this ship lands, you’ll be ready to face just about whatever comes your way. Now, let’s get started!”

And it's just precious. Hopefully she doesn't try to be Meloka in more than her public attitude though.
>It’ll be fun. She’ll meet more characters who’ve long since passed on
Considering she's fighting people and things from even before Shin's birth, that is alot. Even if she doesn't get what is going on around her.
Does she meet best Sunbro and Onion lad?
>Nothing wrong with that
>All these unnatural births left Meloka mostly unaffected by her hormones

>Being big and round fertility goddess never felt so good
Broodqueen status achieved. Kinda. She still needs more kids to catch up to Towa and her almost constant pumping out of twins. So she is beaten there. This is probably going to be the first time she's ever had this much body weight too. So she may thinks getting fat would be unattractive to Karn. She will be wrong.

Also, default DRAGONFORCE was always a terrible stand for fighting against other stands, as the only thing mitigating its abysmal durability was it being immune to normal damage. Now that DF isn't made of tissue paper we can have some fun.

Hmmm, so it's either a range limit, which means he's on New Salda still, a charge time limit, or some other reason. Perhaps too many people being around able to watch the corners he could pop out of?

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 130 Epilogue-

AGE ???, SOMEWHEN

“Well, where am I now?” you mutter to yourself, looking around. You are Caulifla: wielder of the Stand Triumph, owner of an ancient magical fire sword, Super Saiyan, daughter of the heroes Karn and Meloka, and protector of people hunted by glowy red jerks everywhen! Having just grabbed onto your sword before you were transported through time and space, you flip it into your hand correctly and take stock of your surroundings like Daddy taught you to. Never want a bad guy to sneak up on you after all. You’re standing on an ancient, kinda-crumbling bridge that is just a few feet over a sea of molten lava, the heat already making you start to sweat. Looking ahead, yousee a big castle, but it’s leaning sideways somehow. You wonder how they coulda made it lean like that, when a gust of wind blows that awful heat in your face.“Phew, it’s hot in here.”
“Zullie, stay back.” you hear the muffled voice of a man wearing a helmet behind you. “I’ll deal with this.”

So of course you turn, seeing who’s talking. And you find yourself facing a man in metal knight armor, wielding a curved sword longer than even Chaya’s big weapon. Beside him is a woman wearing a large pointy hat, which is awesome. You wonder if she has another one you can wear, before the knight speaks again.

“Tell me, Blade of the Darkmoon: why art thou here?” he asks, pulling a big wooden weapon off his back and pointing it at you while keeping his distance. “If thy aim be to stop us, thou shall perish here.”
“Be calm, Ser Alva.” the woman says, holding up what seems to be some sort of cloth for you both to see. But what’s surprising is that the symbol of your pendant is written almost perfectly on that. “She is not here to harm us. Although, I was not aware the Darkmoon Knights sent children to fight.”
“This?” you ask, holding up the pendant with your left hand. “I found it in a secret underground ruin! Now when I wear it, I get to beat up bad people, and help nice people like you!”
“Oho, to be so young and innocent again.” the lady says to you with a smile. “Tell me, what is your name, little one?”
“My name’s Caulifla.” you say, pointing to yourself with your left thumb. “An’ I’m here to help!”
“Good to meet you, Caulifla.” the nice lady says. “My name is Zullie, and this man is Ser Alva.”
“I’m no Ser. At least, not anymore.” he says, you hearing something angry in his voice. Angry, and also sad. So you walk right over to him and try to give him a hug. But as tall as he is, and with his kinda-bulky armor, your arms don’t fit but maybe halfway around him. “What is the meaning of this?”
>>
>>4281653
“It’s a hug.” you say, looking up at his helmet. “You seemed really sad, so I wanna cheer you up!”

The knight, Alva, seems to not know what to do, turning to Zullie as you hear her chuckle. But you soon feel his entire body tense up, you dropping and turning to see what’s worrying him. You see a pair of metal armored guys rushing towards him, each one wielding a thin, slightly-curved sword.

“I got ‘em!” you say, rushing forward. But, since they’re a part of this world, your flaming blade passes right through the first one like a ghost. In fact, they don’t even seem to notice you, rushing right at the knight instead. “Uh-oh, look out!”
“Hrraaaa!!” he roars you watching as he grabs his curved sword with both hands and spins one, two, three times! On the third spin the two other knights reach him, but can’t hit him. On the third spin his blade cuts clean through the first knight in the middle and crashes hard into the second. The first dissolves into that white mist as the second one crumples, Alva pulling his blade free then slamming it down onto the other knight’s neck, decapitating him.

“Woah.” you say, impressed. He’s surprisingly strong, you didn’t think he’d be able to take them both so easily. “Wow, good job!”
“Hmph. Keep behind me.” he says gruffly, walking past you as if you weren’t there.
“Ah-Hey!” you shout, but before you can chase after him Zullie lays a hand on your shoulder. “What’s his problem?”
“He’s just having a rough time right now.” she says, sounding a bit comforting like Momma does. “His dear friend passed on a few weeks ago, and he’s not taking it well.”
“Oooooooh.” you say, feeling your good mood fade a little. You wish you could help, but Triumph’s healing doesn’t work on someone who’s already dead. You follow the nice lady, Zullie, but as you three reach the halfway point of the bridge you hear something. Looking up, you see what looks like a big metal spear hurtling towards Alva! Without hesitation you dash forward and shove him in the back, knocking him out of the way. Unfortunately, with doing that you have no time to evade as well, the spear taking you right in the gut. It hits with so much force your armor cracks, you wheezing as all the air is forced out of your body. “Guuuuh!”

After that you kinda lose track of what’s going on, folding your arms over your gut and collapsing to the ground. As you keep trying to breathe but can’t you begin to panic, rolling back and forth on the ground as you get light headed. Is this it? Are you gonna die here?
>>

Each second feels like an eternity, your vision going all fuzzy and blurry as someone picks you up. People are shouting but you can’t make out what they’re saying, and all the jostling around isn’t helping. But suddenly you feel yourself falling, and as you hit the ground you wheeze again, this time your body sucking in air before you realize what’s happening.

CLANG CLANG

The sound of metal smashing against metal rings out, but from where you’re laying can’t see anything. So you roll over, seeing Alva fighting three of the knights inside a dark roon. There’s a statue on one wall, and as you watch it suddenly breathes fire!

“Alva, now!” Zullie shouts, the knight turning and running towards you both. He leaps down a little ledge, landing in a roll and rising up sword-first towards the three he was fighting. But then, Zulie attacks. Holding her staff in both hands she swings it, shouting “Dark Edge!!”

As she swings it, the spectral image of a black sword appears from the end of her staff. It slices cleanly through the three knights, almost as if they weren’t even there. But to you surprise no blood is sprayed, in fact it doesn’t seem to have even cut through their armor. But each one of them falls down, and doesn’t move again.

“Woah, that was so cool!” you shout, springing to your feet as the three knights all fade into that sparkly mist stuff. “Where’d you learn to do that?”
“That’s a forbidden magic, banned to all beings that still live.” she says, sitting down and taking a moment to catch her breath. You know from watching Chilli that using magic’s even harder than using ki, and something strong enough to cut through all three of them like that had to have been really strong. “But a witch like myself cares little for the rules of those who call themselves gods.”

“Just like Auntie Towa!” you say, catching her by surprise. Even Alva turns, you looking back and forth between them. “What?”
“Oh, it’s nothing.” Zullie says with a chuckle, using her staff to help herself back upright. “That name is familiar, is all. Now, let us press forward. Which way, Alva?”
“Straight ahead up the stairs leads to some sort of courtyard.” he says. “But the path to the right goes even higher, and seems to go deeper in.”
“I’ll go out the front!” you volunteer excitedly. “Those knights don’t seem to notice me, so I can scout it out!”
“Then we’ll take the other path.” Zullie says. “And let’s all meet back here in say, three minutes?”
“Sounds good to me!” you say, rushing up the steps and through the next room to emerge deeper in the massive castle. It seems to be some sort of courtyard, a bridge suspended by chains well out of Zullie and Alva’s reach in the middle. But that’s not what draws your eye: there are knights everywhere!
>>
>>4281662
“Woah.” you say, looking around and counting. “Eight, nine, ten! Ten knights, and hey have bows too. They might be in trouble if they-“

https://youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

“Uh oh.” you say, recognizing that sound. It means there’s now ANOTHER invader wandering around here somewhere. “Now there’s two of them. I gotta hurry up and find them, before they get miss Zullie.”

But as you talk to yourself you hear a noise from somewhere above and behind you. Turning, you see another of the giant spears headed right for you!

“GAAH?!” you exclaim, leaping back and narrowly dodging the spear. Following it back up you see a faintly-glowing red figure holding a bow much larger than itself. Now you finally see how he’s launching such massive spears at you, and starts drawing the bow back to fire another one. “Oh no you don’t!”

Reaching over you pull his spear-arrow free of the ground, flipping it around and launching it like one of Daddy’s Energy Javelins. The invader sees it coming, releasing his shot too early and rolling away from your counter as you dash up after the spear. As he gets back to his feet and sees you coming, the giant bow disappears behind his back and is replaced by a pair of wooden weapons similar to Alva’s but much fancier. But as he does you notice he’s not wearing any armor, in fact he looks like a giant butterfly!

“Wh-What?” you say, confused. You were expecting someone much more heavily armored than this, but even his chest is bare! Due to your confusion you don’t press the action, and he attacks. A half-dozen bolts are launched at you, and with no time to dodge you grab your sword in both hands. Focusing your energy you remember what Chilli’d taught you about your weapon, and with a roar you swing. “HRAAAA!!”

But much to your opponent’s surprise, a huge swathe of flame is unleashed. The blaze consumes your foe’s projectiles and the enemy himself, you feeling his energy drop. But you don’t stop there, dashing into your flames and lunging sword-first. The flames leave you unscathed as your sword pierces straight through the red phantom, the guy dropping both weapons and clutching at his chest. Dropping to his knees, you watch as his begins dissolving into red mist. You got him!

“Bye!” you say, waving to him as he quickly disappears completely. Now, to find the other one. You drop back to the ground outside the door, walking back inside and down to the room with the fire-breathing bull statue. And Zullie and Alva aren’t here yet. But someone else is.
>>
>>4281663
“So, you’re the one.” a voice calls from behind you. You turn, seeing a black-clad figure you’ve not seen before standing there, leaning against the wall. She has one of those curved swords on her hip, arms crossed casually under her face-covering helmet. But most surprisingly, she’s not glowing red like a usual phantom somehow. “I must say I thought the rumors were exaggerated, but here you are. A child of the Darkmoon, wielding a sword of flame and possessing incredible power.”
“Who’re you?” you ask her, something about her making you feel nervous. You don’t quite step back, but clutch your sword a little tighter. Daddy’s always told you to trust your instincts, and right now they’re telling you she’s dangerous. “You an invader too?”

“Fret not, little one. I’m not here for your head.” she says, rising up off the wall and standing upright. That’s too close for you, leaping back you take your fighting stance. “Hmm. My name is Yuria of Londor, and I just wanted to see you for myself.”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

“Well, it looks like your job here isn’t done, little one.” she says, pulling a small crystal from a pocket and clutching it. You watch as she begins fading away, leaving you with a final cryptic message. “I’ll be keeping my Eye on you.”

And with that she’s gone, you no longer feeling her ki anywhere. You sigh in relief, whoever that bad lady was, she’s strong. But you can’t worry about her for now, you have to find this new invader. But before you can go out searching, Zullie and Alva return.

“Good, you’re okay.” she says, walking up the stairs to you. “Did you hear that? We have two more invaders to worry about now.”
“Nope, only one more.” you say, quickly telling her about the butterfly man then the dangerous-seeming woman in black. As you describe her Zullie’s brows furrow, looking upset and glancing over to Alva. Curious, you ask her about it. “What’s wrong? Do you know her?”
“Not her.” she says, laying her staff aside to put both hands on your shoulders. “Be careful, Caulifla. The Hollows of Londor are dangerous: undead, inhuman monsters. They-“

“Company!” Alva shouts, you both turning towards him. And sure enough, it’s another invader. But unlike that last one, this skeleton is wielding a skeletal-gripped sword glows an angry red. Without hesitation Alva charges, which proves to be a mistake. The skeleton lifts the sword and thrusts it into the ground, causing more thana dozen giant glowing red swords to explode upwards! The force from the swords launches the knight into the air screaming in pain. He tumbles uncontrollably, landing to the ground hard enough to bounce once before laying, unmoving.
“ALVA!!” Zullie shouts, brandishing her staff at the skeleton as darkness gathers around her. “I’ll kill you!”
>>
>>4281667
“DARK ORB!” she roars, unleashing a large ball of darkness towards the skeleton. But he doesn’t retreat, crossing it’s bony arms as a shimmering sphere of light forms around it. You watch as the darkness smashes against that shield, but is almost instantly reflected into the ceiling. “What?”
“Get Alva!” you shout, dashing up at the invader and kicking at it’s chest. The glowing skeleton blocks your kick with the flat of it’s large blade, and instead of getting knocked back into the fire like you’d hoped it stops just short. “I’ll handle this jerk!”

“You are strong.” the skeleton says in a raspy voice, moving the sword from before it’s face torest the blunt edge on it’s shoulder. “Your death will make the master that much stronger.”
“Sorry, but I’m not dying today.” you reply, again taking your stance. But before you can attack, Zullie calls out from behind you.
“Watch out for that sword.” she says. “It’s radiating with some seriously bad magical energy. It’s like death itself is living inside it!”
“I’ll be fine!” you reply, the phantom simply walking towards you. There’s no urgency in it’s movements, simply walking as if it wasn’t in a battle to the death. You’ll show it for underestimating you! “HAAAA!!”

As you shout, you throw an Energy Wave forward with your left hand. The invader dodges, rolling under it towards your left side and trying to close the distance. But you twist clockwise, ending the blast and swinging your sword as the skeleton rolls upright. Your flames clash against it’s sword, and the invader is surprisingly strong. You can’t just simply knock it over, it’s eyeball-less gaze feeing like it’s staring into your soul, challenging you to try and push it away. And so you do, grabbing your sword in both hands and shoving even harder. For a moment the skeleton holds it’s ground, then surprisingly takes a step back and twists, leaving you pushing against nothing. The sudden change in strategy catches you completely by surprise, you stumbling forward.

“Got you.” it says, left hand clamping down on the back of your neck. As soon as it does, you feel it trying to pull something out of you. But that’s not all, as you feel your energy being pulled out and into this bone warrior. It’s energy surges upwards, you realizing this could get really bad. So without hesitation you focus, and unleash your full power.
>>
>>4281670
“RRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, transforming into your powerful Super Saiyan form! But you’re not just an average Super Saiyan anymore, with big bro Broly’s help, you’ve learned how to transform into an even more powerful Super Saiyan than normal, golden lightning sparking out from your much-wilder looking aura. And before the skeleton can react you jam your right elbow into it’s ribcage, breaking several of them. The sudden impact breaks his grip on your neck, you twisting and slashing upwards with your sword. The burning blade slices clean through the skeleton’s upper right arm. But you’re not done there, twisting and slamming your left leg’s shin into it’s now-broken ribs. The impact of your kick sends it crashing into the stone wall hard enough that they shatter, leaving the phantom embedded in the wall. You watch it for several seconds, making sure it isn’t going to attack again, but after it doesn’t move for several seconds you dismiss it and turn back to Zullie.

“Please, let this work.” she says, you seeing Alva’s still-helmeted head in her lap as she pours out the glowing orange contents of a flask directly into the metal’s gaps. “You can’t be dead, not yet.”
“Go, Triumph!” you shout, your Stand screeching as it materializes. It flies right over the knight, you seeing several deep wounds through his metal armor to his chest. Without hesitation you direct your Stand to heal him, several pure blue tears dropping directly into the injuries. You watch as his body begins mending itself, returning to how he was before being opened up by the magical swords. You sigh in relief, Zullie trying and failing to hold back tears as you banish Triumph, your Stand’s job here done. After several seconds she regains her composure, Zullie wiping her eyes before turning her gaze up to you.

“Thank you, for everythi-!” she says, but stops as her eyes widen in surprise. Before she can say anything you spin clockwise, slashing at whatever’s behind you.
“Raaaa!” you shout, sword of flame slashing something that doesn’t make any sense. The space behind you looks distorted, as if someone dropped a pebble in a water reflection. But whatever it is your sword doesn’t cut through, and as your blade passes it fades, revealing the one-armed skeleton is still trying to fight. It lunges for your head with it’s hand, you catching it with your own left.

“Death is inevitable.” it says, as once more you feel your strength being sapped. But you’re not letting it go so easily! Focusing on your energy, you hold it inside and not letting it escape through your hand. The pull of this thing is strong, but you’re not gonna lose!
>>
>>4281676
“Caulifla!” Zullie shouts, you straining with all you’ve got to keep your energy from being sucked out. But despite your best efforts, you still are getting drained, the phantom’s aura surprisingly starting to change as well from red to gold. You have to stop this now, else this guy could take everything from you! Wait, that’s it! If you can’t stop his energy drain from his hand, you’ll just have to take his entire hand off! You raise your sword high, the invader seeing it but with only one arm is unable to defend itself.

“HYAAA!” you cry, swinging down with your full Super Saiyan power. Your sword cuts through the bone arm easily, and as it does your left hand crushes it’s now-severed hand.
“I-Impossible!” it says, stumbling backwards and falling to the ground. You lift your left hand, preparing to blast it to smithereens with an energy blast, when something surprising happens. Instead of firing off an attack, you feel your energy gathered in your hand not leave as once more that distorted space appears, much easier to see through this time. But it’s such a surprise you leap back, ending your focus and thinking the invader has another trick up his sleeve. As you do the distortion disappears, the skeleton’s bony jaw hanging wide open in clear shock.

“Wh-Caulifla, how...?” Zullie asks, you turning and seeing the shock on her face as she stares at you and struggles to form a sentence. Or rather, at your left hand. “That, you...You stole a Dark Hand!?”
“Stole wha...?” you ask, trailing off as you look down at your left hand. There’s now something around your left hand; a dark, yet strangely comforting aura has enveloped it. “Woah.”
“Give. That. Back.” the skeleton invader says, struggling to rise without it’s arms. “I need...for...mas...”

And with that it falls limply back to the ground, fading into red mist. As it fades you feel yourself doing the same, turning back to Zullie. With only moments to act, you do what comes naturally.

“Bye!” you say, waving to her excitedly. “Hope we meet again!”
“Be careful!” she says to you, still clearly worried. “That’s the Dar-!”

But then you’re gone. Or, more accurately, back on Vox’s big ship. You look back to your left hand, and sure enough that energy is still there. You gotta show Chilli, maybe he’ll-WAIT! You gotta go: there’s supposed to be a big meeting today, and you’re gonna be late!

Feds are involved, so the ones that stole my check are going to be caught sooner rather than later. And the joint that cashed the check is in some deep shit at the moment too. Just got down putting down formal charges an hour or so ago, so I should be reimbursed with a bit extra if all goes well.

Almost 4800 dollars, and the moron of a neighbor actually put their name on it to cash it in. And then the Loan place they cashed it in didn't even try to get a hold of me, so they're going to be getting felony charges as well. The Coast Guard is getting their own lawyers involved so including the state federal offices, they got the military involved as well. Fucked, is the most generous way to describe what is about to happen.
