After agreeing to investigate the strange events happening on the war-torn planet you decide to start following the undulating ocean of bodies that seem to lead them to the very heart of the enemies territory.
Along the way Kamin naturally kept taking potshots at the hostile Tuffles but after a while even she realized it's a pointless endeavor since they barely seemed to care about their casualties.
It just doesn't make sense to you as to why they'd behave this way. No matter how depraved they may have become, logic dictates that they preserve what little resources they have on this barren rock.

You're so absorbed by this puzzling question that for once Kamin's the one who has to keep you from doing something remarkably stupid.

"OY!"
She yanks on the collar of your jacket hard enough to pull you back.
Flustered and slightly annoyed you shout at her.

"What's the matter with you?!"

"Look!"
She points at one of the towers dotting the landscape, atop which massive superstructures are seen moving around.
You can't believe your eyes when you finally realize what those are supposed to be.

"S-sonic cannons?! Weren't those just an idea when we were in the tank?!"

"Yeah well it looks like they went ahead and built them... Not like they were left with many options after they lost their last superweapons."

"Shit!"
You curse.
"But those were meant to be ship killers! Why did they build them on the ground? In fixed positions none the less?"

"Who cares? Let's just take them down before we get in range of their sensors."

"There's so many of them-"

"And? Would you rather have them shoot us in the back?"

>You're right. Let's just shoot them down
>Actually... we can take them down and conserve a lot of energy. But it'd be riskier
>Ignore them. We got more important things to worry about

I noticed how the board itself slowed down quite a bit
It may not be ideal but I think I'm gonna try something. Instead of doing things like usual I'll try to do posts maybe a bit less frequently. Maybe doing a few updates every couple of days.
That might work. Today however I'm gonna stay here and wait patiently

The home field advantage is strong here

>>
You rub your chin whilst looking over the defense perimeter.
"That's a lot of guns..."

"What are you thinking?"

"That we should definitely get rid of those.
But I bet they'll start shooting the second we take one out."

"Yeah. They're probably linked together."
Kamin smirks and gives you a mischievous look.
"You thinkin' what I'm thinking?"

"Yea.
Let's see how they like when we use that trick."

Kamin and you raise your right and left arms respectively before locking hands. The connection between your bodies establishes in an instant and suddenly you're sharing not only your senses with each other but also your thoughts.
Your eyes light up and you look in opposite directions to scope out the place and get a 360° view of the land. Seeing every minute detail in a 10 km radius you pinpoint every single one of the defensive structures on your mental map.
Without needing to exchange a single word you raise your hands and take aim with your free arms.

The plan is executed with absolute precision unavailable to mere flesh and blood creatures. Every action has been calculated down to microseconds by your shared computing power and your superior bodies execute them flawlessly in sequence.
To the credit of the Tuffles handicraft the turrets do recognize that they are under attack but by the time the impulse is sent by their central processors and their gyros start moving they've already been atomized.
Every one of the towers holding one of the massive guns erupts in a plume of fire seemingly at the same time, bathing the mechanical city in an orange light.

With a job well done you let go of your sisters hand and she sighs in disappointment as she looks at the spreading fire.
"I was hoping for fireworks... not just one explosion."

"Quite complaining.
Efficiency doesn't mix with aesthetics."

"I know I know. Guess the knowledge that grampa must be seething right now will have to suffice as entertainment."
>>
With a nice little hole blown into the defense of the hivers it's now possible for you to push on through to the epicenter of all this.
But as you keep flying a strange feeling starts to overwhelm you. At first it's not much to be concerned about but it gets progressively worse as you keep going. Shooting a glance to the side it's revealed that you're not the only one affected by it either as Kamin also seems to be wiping her forehead.
"H-Hey Oren... do you feel cold as well?"

"More like someone's jamming needles into my back.
What... is this?"

"Doesn't it feel like... like-"

"All that life is disappearing?"

"No. It's like there is a hole.
And all these guys... are marching right into it."

The bad feeling continues to grow until you've come face to face with the source of this chaos. It may be painful to admit this but Kamins description was apt.
Whatever this "thing" is staring at it feels like looking into a black hole. It's not that it doesn't possess any sort of ki, more like its presence is a perceptible void of energy.
From the central, reddish figure innumerable cables spread out and move around like serpents. These feelers comprised of nanomachines not too dissimilar from the stuff that makes you up are moving around and devouring everything around them.
The drones willingly walk forward and let themselves be dismantled and eaten by the monstrosity. First the flesh is plucked free from their mechanical constraints, then the empty metal is consumed and turned into fuel as well.
Soon, once the biomass it can use is gone it'll no doubt go on to devour the resistance members, then the buildings, then the world...

You feel like you're about to puke. You've seen much grizzlier sights on this planet with the cyborgs but this just feels so much worse. something deep within your core is aching as you're looking at the unfathomable dark within this... thing deepening.
"What... is this?"
You mumble unconsciously which alerts the thing.

"Ah... the prodigal son and daughter returns.
Welcome. We've MISSED you!"

"L-Lychee?!"
"L-Lychee?!"
>>
"Wrong.
I am all of the Tuffle. What you were supposed to be. What you soon will be.
And once I'm done, the only thing that will remain."

"Okay. They've officially gone off the deep end!"

"You're assuming they weren't there already."

"SILENCE!"
The machine snaps at you.
"None of this had to happen! But that 9 times damned intruder had to appear and ruin EVERYTHING!
He took you from us! He tainted our people! He doomed us all to extinction! But fine...
If we can't have the universe then NOONE CAN! We'll crush, kill and destroy all until there is nothing left but US!"

The ranting of the mad machine makes you smirk despite the knot in your stomach.
"You idiot... You don't even realize that your "intruder" saved you."

"Heh. We were just gonna exterminate you when you turned us on!
If he never came you wouldn't exist now!"

"SILENCE!"
The machine roars and suddenly his "meal" ends. All the Tuffle drones on the ground turn to look at you and they echo the words of the creature.
"Your failures will be undone, as will the sin of the traitors... once you join us.
Like HE did!"
Suddenly the machine digs his fingers into his own chest and rips it apart, revealing Eric bound inside.

"DAD!"
Kamin screams and you gasp in disbelief.

"ALL WILL BE PART OF HATCHIYACK!"

The beast begins to charge up and its chest closes you see Kamin still being shocked by what she's just seen. Erics condition clearly took the wind out of her sails. But that could change any second.
Meanwhile you can't help but tighten your fists so much that it begins to hurt. It is good pain.
Your lips part and you hiss through your teeth.

You call out to Kamin several times but she seems unresponsive even when you shake her she just keeps staring at Hatchiyack, unable to figure out whether she should cry or go on a rampage.
She's so thoroughly stunned that you don't see a solution to breaking her out of it aside the most radical one.
While grabbing her shoulder with one hand you throw a punch into her gut and make her exhale all the air from her lungs.
One pained gasp later she looks at you and she's not at all pleased.
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!"

"Get yourself together big sis. We got other things to worry about."

Wiping her face clean Kamin looks at the red and pink freak before scoffing.
"Yeah... I guess we do."
She's violently shaking in anger now. Good. Looks like you managed to tip her in the right direction.
"This asshole doesn't realize how lucky he is we got Dragon Balls. But I'm still gonna kill him in Hell as well for good measure!
It'll be therapeutic!"

"I won't stop you but I suggest you take a deep breath and focus.
We can't kill him yet."

"And WHY is that?!"

"Take a closer look. This thing is eating everything and leaves nothing behind. But Eric looked fine in there.
Looks like these idiots bit off more than they could chew."

Kamins spirit is starting to return and she cracks her knuckles with a smile.
"Yeah. Bet Pink Guy is not making it easy either."

"Exactly.
He can stop one but I can't imagine this idiot holding back both."

"So what's the plan dear little brother?

"Well first things first, we should get Eric out of his belly.
After that I wouldn't mind beating him senseless!"

"Now you're speaking my language!"
She raises her fist and no more words need to be exchanged between the two of you.
Giving her a playful tap you break away at the same time and charge the massive monster.
A quick nod from you confirms that you're thinking the same thing as your sister. One of you will serve as a distraction while the other will prod it for any weaknesses.

Kamin decides to take the lions share of the work and starts mocking Lychees creation in the hopes of pissing it off.
"Over here you disgusting tub of ketchup!"

She shoots a few ki blasts at Hatchiyack while charging him head on.
Sadly the colossus doesn't as much as budge from the place it's floating, necessitating your sister to go further in.
Continuing to blast away she kicks the thing in the face through the thick cloud of smoke her explosions raised. But her leg doesn't even bounce off of Hatchiyack's head and instead stops dead in its track.
With a slight grimace the massive beast grabs her leg and punches her in the stomach with the other.

As Kamin flies away Hatchiyack does a heel turn and looks straight at you.
He pulls his fist back, prompting you to use the Smash Break as a ballistic shield. The blue bubble around your body doesn't explode on contact however, instead the Tuffle warmachines fist digs right through your energy and hits you as well.
Gasping you fly back to the opposite end of the city as your sister and struggle to get out of your hole. But it looks like your enemy won't even let you try as he crosses his arms and the green, jewel like capacitors on his arms light up with an emerald glow.

"S-Shit!"

"Revenger Cannon!"

His hands erupt with the charged up energy and a sizable green blast is fired in your general direction. Still recovering from your ordeal you're unable to dodge and close your eyes as you brace for impact.
An explosion is heard but you don't feel any pain and so open your eyes to look at what happened. You almost choke as you see Kamin with a cannonball sized hole blown into her side.
"SIS!"

"D-Don't get your panties in a twist little bro!"
She grunts and her liquid body reforms as if nothing happened.
"Start worrying when I can't maintain my body any longer."

The red beast watches this display and speaks up.
"You still think you stand a chance-"
He disappears in the blink of an eye and appears right before you. His limb separates into many mechanical tendrils which coil around Kamins waist and he begins whipping her around like a toy.
Using your own sister he begins beating you into submission as he continues his speech.
"Everything you are, everything you can be is stored in my databank! I know all your moves and all your strengths!
You are nothing to me!"
>>
Sorry fellers.
I'm back now
>>
You get picked up by the wild thrashing and together with your twin you get hurled through several habitation blocks and making them fall.
It takes a great deal of effort to force yourself to stand up but it's necessary because Hatchiyack could attack at any moment.
But luckily it looks like he's content just staring you down for now.

As Kamin also stands back up you start talking to her.
"Damn it... he's using us to test himself!"

"And it looks like he's right. That speed and strength...
That's not something we can compete with even after all this time."

"Well guess it can't be helped-"
"Yeap-"

You start taking off your jacket and Kamin does the same, leaving you with only the bodysuit covering your frame. Hopefully the little bit of extra mobility you gain from this will be worth it.
Meanwhile Hatchiyack can't seem to make heads or tails of this.
"What are you doing? Why did you remove your armor?"

"We'd hate to see them get damaged... now that we'll fight seriously."

"Hey Oren-"
Kamin cracks her knuckles.
"I bet he'll cry when we're done with him!"

"Just focus on the fight Kamin-"

"It doesn't matter how serious you'll get. My strength is beyond anything you can manage. You should've realized that!"

"We did.
Which is why this won't be Tuffle on Tuffle."

"Now we fight like humans!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wwt23wTIf_0

The time to turn the tables has come and you charge Hatchiyack with all your speed.
As you prepare to begin you assume proper fighting stances and focus intently on your enemy.
Just like last time his speed is far superior to yours. He sees you coming and winds up a powerful punch to hit you but you manage to avoid it so it only grazes you. Hatchiyack's eye widens in surprise as you weave under his fist and slide between his legs. Using your energy you spin around on the ground, kicking him in the ankle with the entire weight of your body and then some.

The machine stumbles enough for Kamin to jump over him with ease. Naturally the Tuffle reacts to this instantly but from his awkward position it takes far longer for him to move than necessary.
By the time his backhanded attack swings around Kamin already put up her guard and did a reverse, hopping back and mitigating the impact as much as possible before spreading her arms and grabbing the hand of Hatchiyack.
With a quick turn she tries to pull on the arm but she fails to throw him to the ground, however it does open up his sides.

Getting back on your feet you knee him in the ribs before kicking off from him just in time to dodge his retaliation.
You keep up the flow of battle like this, striking your foe whenever possible while making sure to sustain as little damage as possible. While it doesn't achieve much in the physical sense it DOES manage to confuse the hell out of Hatchiyack.
>>
By all logic he shouldn't have any trouble killing you right there on the spot yet for some reason he can't land a decisive blow anymore.
As he keeps trying to catch you and his body keeps getting chipped away his confusion only deepens, making his permanent frown break occasionally.
The truth of the matter is that he can be stronger than you, faster than you and superior to you in every way. But he has a limit that you shed already. He's JUST a machine. He observes the world as it is and uses the data it gathers to act.
Your method is inferior to his. It's wildly inaccurate, dangerous and quite stupid, a little thing called: Instinct.
You see his posture, the way he moves, how he thinks and your guts can tell you how he'll most likely act. After that it's only a matter of actually dodging in time. But this way you can act even before he does.

He pulls back his hand, suggesting an incoming ki blast. Going prone you duck under it and when the light fades you spring up, headbutting his chin hard enough to scrape some of his "skin" off.
The black tendrils lying underneath the packaging get exposed for a moment before his self repair protocols activate and restore the damaged area. But he's already done. Now you see that it IS possible to damage him. And if plucking him apart piece by piece is the only way to get to his core then so be it!

Kamin sees your progress and it emboldens her. Sliding around the hulking beast she elbows him right in the spine, creating a similar black patch like yours which doesn't disappear instantly like yours. Instead it erupts in a mass of writing cables which attempt to rip off her arm and almost succeed before you kick him in the neck and break him away from your sister.
Getting some breathing room you pause your relentless onslaught for just a little bit as you discuss how to proceed from here.

"It's no use! He can just repair all the damage we do!"
Kamin complains.

"Maybe but you should be a bit more careful! Don't commit too much!"
You start weighing your options on how to proceed.

*sigh*
"No...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdRUNoywyO4

As you discuss your next move Hatchiyack finally has enough of standing around and waiting for you to attack.
About half of the surrounding area turns to rubble as he takes off to attack you. His sudden burst of speed shocks you enough that you can't really react to it in time and he punches you right in the face.
Flying backwards you see the pink demon following you and charging up the containers in his hand with energy. Firing off a point black shot he manages to rough you up with a powerful explosion so much that Kamin starts getting worried.
"BROTHER!"

She jumps after you to try and pry Hatchiyack off of you but it's no use. Her kick gets blocked and the monster grabs her leg. Swinging her around like a rag doll he smashes her body into several steel girders before tossing her away and firing a blast of energy after her.
As your sister gets assaulted you manage to recover and jump back into the fray, rushing Hatchiyack with a barrage of rapid blows. The unfocused jabs merely bounce off of his exterior as he prepares to retaliate with a shoulder tackle. But this time you manage to properly respond to it and with careful maneuvering and a little bit of course adjustment you redirect him into a wall which turns to dust.

He doesn't waste much time to turn back around and continue his assault with a series of faster but much weaker punches.
Opening up your palm you manage to redirect most of his attacks but get blindsided when he kicks you in the side out of nowhere when your hands are both too busy holding him off. The difference in size is starting to be a problem.
But you just grit your teeth and bear the pain as you switch to offense. Seeing you turning around Kamin also jumps in and attempts to help you from the other side.
Now the Tuffle has his attention split between you as you attack him from both sides.

It appears that while he's comfortable soaking up the damage from one of you he's not so keen on taking both of your attacks at the same time and so he's actually dodging your attacks now.
That's going to be a problem.
>>
You continue to put pressure on him with your relentless combination attack but things change for the worse when you notice Hatchiyack slowly adapting to your pattern. He gradually starts getting the upper hand and it looks like he's going to turn things around soon.
Until Kamin smirks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6cSbof7Pik

"FLASH FIST CRUSH!"
You hear her calling the attack and swiftly duck as she fires it.
The beam like attack pierces the machines shell and comes out the other end. Were you still where you were a second ago it would've punched through you as well.
The ferocious attack undoubtedly hit Eric inside as well... but now's not the time to worry about that.

Hatchiyack falters and gets on one knee. He's grasping for his chest and seemingly can't fathom the extensive damage he just suffered.
Naturally you can't see it happening but you're certain that he's repairing the internal damage as you're looking at him so you don't have much of a time.
Jumping on the opportunity you strike him in the back of the head, forcing him to headbutt the ground.
With this opening you move around and Kamin does the same so you're both face to face with the creature.
"This is impossible! How can you use THAT?!"
He mutters as he's trying to stand up.

You don't feel like he's deserving of an answer so you just proceed with what you planned from the start.
Both of you pull your hands back. You open your palm while Kamin clenches hers into a fist as you begin to focus.
Once ready you start running towards the Tuffle. Throwing caution to the wind you don't dodge when he starts firing his Revenger Cannon and instead just take it as hitting him simultaneously is more important than your own safety.
His attack inflicts severe damage to both of you and even puts a few holes into your liquid metal bodies.

But through sheer force of will you push through the pain and deliver what you hope to be the final blow.
"Null Fist-"
"Null Fist-"

"QUAKING TYPHOON STRIKE!"
"QUAKING TYPHOON STRIKE!"

With Earthquake Strike in your palm and Whirlwind Strike in Kamins you strike Hatchiyack full force.
You've been practicing this little trick for a while now but never actually tried it on a living thing for obvious reasons, so the reaction you get shocks even you.
The intense vibrations from your attack spread through the entirety of the machine and weakening him. And as his body appears to flicker from the intense force Kamins Whirlwind Strike manages to bore into him like a drill blowing his cells apart and creating an ever expanding hole in him.
>>
You see Hatchiyack staring at his own stomach in disbelief, the nanomachines that make up his body are endlessly trying to repair the damage but he's clearly struggling.
Even after he's putting genuine effort into it and tries his hardest all he achieves is slowing down the expansion and not stopping it.
Meanwhile it doesn't take much from you to keep fueling it and with the strain of the immensely powerful attack being split between you means that it also doesn't damage you like it did with your dad. Speaking of which you spot a glimpse of him in the ever expanding cavity in Hatchiyacks stomach.

You abruptly stop the attack and reach in. Grabbing him by the shirt you scream as you pull him free of the machines hold.
When he's removed his body is covered in a strange, oily substance but otherwise you see no damage on him... well, no damage other than the one you inflicted on him.
Quickly running away you set him down a safe distance away from the Tuffle and sigh with relief.
Kamin quickly embraces him and starts calling for him.
"DAD! DAD!!"

You want to join her, you really do but now you got other more important things to worry about.
Turning to Hatchiyack you see him still standing where you left him, gasping and staring at the hole in his chest.
He reaches in and begins scraping the hole feverishly.
"W-What have you done to me?! What was that?! You were not built with that kind of power!"
The wound is slowly starting to close as his body recovers from the trauma but it's clear that he used up quite a bit of energy to repair the damage.
But even if his body is good as new, he can't repair mental damage. The machine is starting to get scared.
Sadly you won't be able to pull off that attack again, he'll just run away if he sees it coming now.

"Kamin..."

I'll try to run a proper session on monday!

Eric is still clearly not in a good condition, nor should you leave him in a place like this.
"-let's fuse with him!"

It doesn't take much to convince Kamin and you quickly invade his body together.
As you take over his vital functions and patch any holes you find you stand up and begin immediately testing your new body.
Meanwhile Hatchiyack finally recovers and he seems disgusted by what he sees.
"You... you were supposed to rule over the inferior races, not subjugate yourselves to them! Have you no shame lowering yourselves to these animals?!
Fine... it appears you are beyond redemption after all!"
He grabs a nearby building and begins assimilating it to replenish his energy.
"So be it! I won't bother absorbing you any longer! YOU CAN JUST DIE WITH THIS APE!"

>since he likes energy so much why not show him what real energy looks like?

As Hatchiyack is absorbing more and more of the surrounding area to power up you take stock of your situation.
Kamin is here alongside you and you're both contributing equally. Eric is not conscious so that's one less mind to synchronize but that also means no memories to work with, guess you must rely on muscle memory.
Buu is currently taking a nap. He fiercely resisted you for a moment until he realize you are not the Tuffles he's supposed to keep out. Now that he no longer has to safekeep Eric he's finally resting, leaving you alone with your sister.
"Guess it could be worse. Shall we?"
You agree and start walking forward.

Hatchiyack however doesn't seem to be amused.
He finishes his meal, leaving half of a building and looks at you.
Quickly thrusting his arm forward he unleashes a rapidfire version of his Revenger Cannon that doesn't need to be charged.
Even though it's not very powerful the number of attacks means you'll still suffer a decent amount of damage should they all hit.
...
Let's see how he likes it.

Hatchiyacks silence is broken as he begins howling like an animal being skinned alive. The energy he so eagerly hurled at you came around and hit him in the back. And apparently he was generous enough to shoot enough that would hurt even himself.
The blasts keep pelting him until he finally puts 2 and 2 together and stops firing.
As he opens his mouth you see an oily substance seeping from between his teeth.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

"Heh...
Why don't you come and find out?"

"As you wish!"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fI3maNT2hU8

Flying at you the hulking beast resorts to using brute force, fearing you'll somehow turn his attack against him. The poor thing. Looks like he didn't fight Eric properly... and now he'll pay for it.
The fist comes in and seemingly hits you but in a moment your head flickers out of the way, seemingly no worse for wear.
Casually you throw a punch in retaliation which he dodges easily only to feel the impact an instance later.
As he's rolling backwards he can't make heads or tails of what's happening.

"What is happening?!"
>>
"Never thought we'd get to play with these abilities. Gotta admit they're kinda fun!
How do you like them by the way?"

"Abilities?"

"Yes. Like this one. We're sure you'll recognize this!"
With a ping you activate the time-skip and rush Hatchiyack.
Of course he does know the technique, Lychee was the one who uploaded Hits data into you after all. But he's so shocked he can't properly react to it until the very last moment.

He barely manages to raise his guard and block your punch as your timeskip ends.
As he's bending backwards he even starts muttering to himself.
"I-Impossible! S-so that's how-"

"Damn straight!"
As you keep pushing with one hand you point the other at his feet and open a portal under them.
He falls through but as soon as he gets in up to his waist you try closing the hole. It doesn't outright cut him in half but it shackles him very well.
With his head neatly in place you swing back your leg and kick him in the face at full force. The impact is strong enough to almost decapitate him, leaving only about half of his neck whole.

Sadly it promptly snaps back and begins healing immediately while his hands are hard at work trying to rip space itself apart in an effort to break the portal.
It amuses you greatly how he's looking up at you right now, bound, angry and helpless. But your grin only serves to agitate him further. So he does the unthinkable and instead of trying to break out he starts punching his own waist to break it in half.
And he's progressing fast.

All that power and genius...it honestly makes me sad to kill him. The best choice would be finding a way to brainwash or reprogram him so he can actually start working to undo the horrors he's caused, but it'd be incredibly risky. And a little bit fucked up, but no moreso than what they do in the otherworld.

"Oh no you don't!"

Reaching down you restrain his right arm with one hand and place the other on his shoulder. Sending in a wave of energy you blow the limb off before tossing it into the sky and blowing it to smithereens with a well aimed ki blast. You repeat the process with his other arm, leaving him as a double amputee.
He's not too pleased about this development and keeps resisting as much as he can by reconstructing his missing limbs. Unfortunately for him you're no less equipped to tear them out again than you were a moment ago so you keep destroying anything new he attempts to create.
Eventually he realizes he's not going to succeed whilst you're towering over him so he sends his mechanical tendrils into you.

With a flex of your muscles you destroy the invading wires and finish what you started.
First you cut him in half by shrinking the portal he's stuck in and then blow up his legs, leaving him as just a torso.
His regeneration seemingly stopped as he must've run out of energy. He keeps cursing the three of you incessantly while you look around real quick.
The rest of the hivemind doesn't seem to be very active right now, even with their "central figure" crippled before them. They probably realized that resistance is futile.

As Hatchiyack keeps spewing profanities and curses you lift him up by the neck and look him in the eyes.
"WHAT?! What do you WANT?!"
He shouts.
"HAVEN'T YOU DONE ENOUGH!? You ruined EVERYTHING! You fools! You failures!"

Insanity is repeating the same action and expecting things to be different. The Tuffle race is undergoing massive philosophical and physical changes. Why exactly is he trying to resist all of it even when all previous attempts to re-establish their old hive mind failed despite the massive difference in military and logistic might?
>>
It's what you said. They are quite literally insane

Not taking any chances as he might still be capable of going off like a bomb, you envelop him in several psychic bubbles that should be more than capable of containing his energy.
Since he's also pretty annoying with his constant cursing you also think about making it sound proof but not before you give him your own thought on the matter.
"Listen up gramps... you lost!
You ruined so many lives including those of your own people! And even after your plans went up in smokes you just doubled down and lost AGAIN!
The least you can do now is keep your dignity intact and accept things as they are!"
You start pulling him away from the site and towards the rebels.
"Come... it's time for you to answer for what you did to your people."

Hachiyack keeps screaming in his prison but thankfully you can't hear it anymore. Putting him in his little cell also proved to be a wise decision as his malice is seemingly becoming tangible as some sort of a black smoke inside.
To think that in their madness the old fools would go as far as to create an engine that runs off of their twisted emotions...
As you finally leave the enemy territory you realize that none of the other drones have attacked you so far, granted they didn't move out of your way either so you had to push them around a bit but they didn't resist at all.
Looks like Lychee and the others were full of it after all. For all their bravado they still preserved plenty of their own individuality, as the proper collective already came to the realization that it's pointless to fight back anymore.

On the way back you also get to fixing up your dads injuries and start talking with your sister.
"So... what happens now Oren?"

"We hand him over to the Tuffles. That's the only way."

"No, I mean after that."

"We fix up dad and wait for him to wake up."

"No! I mean after ALL of that!
What will we do with the others?"

"You mean the Tuffles?"

"Yes. Now that their enemy will be gone... what happens to them?
Shouldn't we stay and-"

>I know, I know. Don't worry we'll check on them every now and then
>We made a promise remember? We're human now, not tuffle. We paid our dues, now let them sort things out themselves

You sigh knowing fully how important this is to her. And you kinda agree.
"I know I know. Don't worry we'll check on them every now and then to make sure they are okay.
If only to make sure another Lychee doesn't pop up but still. Hopefully that way they can rebuild this planet into something... hospitable."

"Do you think they have what it takes?"

"No. But it doesn't hurt to try."

As you enter friendly territory uninterrupted you realize that you're garnering far more attention than you'd like. The rebelling Tuffles flock to you both to look at your amalgam body and the strange monster you're lugging around.
But you opt to ignore them until you get back to their base. As you spot it you're taken aback by how it stands out in the filth and muck. Looks like Eric was quite busy.
Upon entering you walk past everyone and head straight for the leader of the resistance who's currently busy pestering Hit.

As you step up to them you throw Hatchiyack on the ground and the loud slam catches their attention.
"What... is this?"
The tuffle asks.

"More importantly... what happened?"
Hit's also curious.

"We'll explain later. Long story short, we present to you Hatchiyack. Dr Lychees newest toy. He's the head of the hivemind.
All the bigshots decided to merge with him to create a doomsday weapon."

"This... is Lychee?"
You can hear the anger in his voice even through the static of the voice modulator. His nails draw blood from his palm as he clenches his fist. And he's not the only one.
The word Lychee starts echoing through the chamber as the other Tuffles are drawn to you and they begin whispering.

"Yes-"

"WHY is he still alive?!"

"Because we're not the ones who suffered under his rule. It's your prerogative to decide his ultimate fate, not ours."
You hijack Erics mouth almost without thinking and respond. Though Kamin doesn't seem to object to your answer.
"You should decide in what direction you want to head in. Use his mad genius or not, at the very least it should give you some closure."

"I-"
The tuffle stammers until he finally figures out how he wants to respond to that.
"We... we need some time. I'll call the others and inform them of the situation."
You see him reach for the implant in his temple as he calls his fellow rebels.

"Just be careful you don't get back into old habits with the whole mindmeld thing."

"This is just a message, albeit an urgent one.
They are free to ignore it."

"Ah. That's different. Okay, how long will that take?"

"An hour perhaps. Usually it's longer but it appears that the hive has become inactive."

"They've been like that since Hatchiyack was activated.
Looks like centralizing their consciousness was a bad idea."

"Indeed.
If they did indeed loose their greatest strength cleaning up the stragglers will be easy."

"Alright. Do your thing and tell us what your people decided.
We'll be keeping an eye on him until then."

The tuffle nods and leaves you alone with Hit as he keeps making calls.
This leaves you free to fully commit to the restoration of Erics body... until you start hearing a voice ringing in your head.
"Hmmmmm.... Mmmmmm? Why can't I feel my everything?"

"D-Dad?"

"Oh, that explains a lot.
Oren? Kamin? What are you guys doing in here?"

"Oh boy..."
You do your best to recap things for the old man and phrase it in a way that he doesn't immediately pop off in a mouth frothing rage.

"Ah so that's what happened. I just remember getting sucker punched and then it's all blank. But Buu protecting me would explain why he's so quiet.
At any rate I'm proud of you for handling things. Though I wish you asked Hit for some help. I don't like you guys getting in danger.
So can I have my body back now?"

"DAD!"
Kamin snaps at him.
"You're hurt and tired! We're the only thing keeping your body standing!"

"Nonsense.
The day I can't stand on my own is the day you can take me behind a shed Old Yeller style.
My body please!"

"W-What? You can't be serious!"
Kamin protests.
"You got multiple broken bones, internal ruptures AND a concussion to boot!
Not to mention that if you take one wrong step the wounds we just closed will open up again! So no way old man! You're staying put!"

*sigh*
"Kamin don't-"

You try to protest but Eric has other ideas.
"Okay that's fine. But don't be surprised if other people will start receiving mental images of you putting on your brothers clothes when no one is looking."

"WAIT! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO TOOK MY JACKET?!"

"She even pretended to be you in front of others-"

"KAMIN!"

The two Tuffles suddenly hop out of the human body and begin bullying each other.
Meanwhile Hit looks at you and finally speaks up.
"It's good to see that you're okay."

"Okay is a stretch. But I am alive at least."
You have a little chat with him while Kamin and Oren are busy giving each other noogies.
"Unfortunately I don't think I have the luxury of sitting down yet. Looks like the party is about to start."

As you alert everyone to what's happening they turn their attention to Hatchiyack and the Tuffles surrounding him. The civilians and the soldiers are quietly whispering between each other whether what they read is real or not for a while.
But it doesn't look like they particularly care. They're already starting to form a line with their leader being the only one staying out of it as he's observing the event.
You see them going up to the machine one by one, stabbing him with a very sharp looking bayonet and then passing it on to the next one in line.
Things proceed from there in a nice orderly fashion, making the scene look even more macabre.

You look at the guy overseeing things and address him.
"Not gonna join in?"

"No.
I'll do it last."

Looking at Hatchiyack you see him bearing the pain for now.
"How many are we talking about?"

"I sent the message to about one billion of my kin.
Most of the ones past maturation decided to participate. About half of the total. Of course the young ones aren't allowed to join."
No matter how much mental and physical fortitude he has nobody can withstand 500 million stab wounds, even if he can regenerate. ESPECIALLY if he can regenerate.
