>Seeing as this is AU there will be changes and/or expansions to the main story as well as the potential for divergences.

>>I will also be adding elements from other sources such as the novels, movies, and any other form of media that don’t drastically damage or disrupt the core of the story
>Open to feedback and suggestions

“Yes, it is quite a good evening, isn’t it? Hōyōzuki.” You smiled, looking up at her despite still on her lap making yourself comfortable.

Smiling at you Hōyōzuki briefly explains that while they left at the same time, it took longer for you to awaken from the trip. Quite possibly due to the aftermath of Riruka’s “detention” and “lecture”. Whatever the case what matters now is the fact that Riruka was safe. So you let yourself enjoy the serenity of the moment for a little while longer. Trusting your spirit Nahtigalou to handle things and get her out you eventually rendezvous back with the gang. Briefly explaining things they quickly took to heart your new friend’s sudden appearance. You told them the bare essentials with Hōyōzuki’s permission as Rukia explained the artificial soul and body.

Unsurprisingly Orihime was quite friendly with the white-haired maiden, Yasutora also displayed general kindness with Ichigo carrying a similar stance though that didn’t stop him from teasing you. Rukia on the other hand merely rolled with the punches, her suspension of disbelief was already shattered hanging out with the lot, so it made it easier to be more open-minded. The only one who was skeptical was Tatsuki, Uryu and Kyoko was cautious but held a neutral stance on the matter. But once again it didn’t take long to get acquainted with Hōyōzuki as the tension smoothly went away from Hōyōzuki’a innocent and pure demeanor.

After straightening things out you and the rest of the gang road off on your motorcycles back into town. Hōyōzuki naturally rode on yours, holding you closely while you used a disclosed method to transport Riruka’s motorcycle rather than leave it behind. Driving together in unison it didn’t take longer than a few hours to make it back to Karakura Town. Stopping briefly at the main inner section did you and your friends wave each other off before splitting into their own directions back home. Leaving you and Hōyōzuki to drive directly into the Urahara shop as you had just one more thing to do before going home.

Arriving at the shop you exchanged pleasantries with your co-worker Ururu who you treated as a surrogate little sister. She was taken by surprise by Hōyōzuki who like with your other friends didn’t take long to befriend as they were more alike than even you considered. Having Ururu lead the way she ultimately directed you towards Kisuke’s current location. He and Tessai were just polishing the final touches to Rukia’s custom made gigai and a chappy gikongan or otherwise known as artificial soul pill. Immediately Hōyōzuki gave Kisuke a hug, surprising both men as they look to you for an explanation.
>>
>>4412679

Choosing to be sincere to your mentors you completely told the whole story with Hōyōzuki with the maid serving as fact check as she assists. Rightfully Tessai was concerned about the entire endeavor as thinks about the ramifications. In contrast, Kisuke was still keeping a leveled head and telling Tessai not to worry. Despite his chill expression, Kisuke was genuinely taken back by this reveal of the Hōgyoku. He has the eyes of a man who had his entire world flipped upside down and having to rethink everything. Thus, he came to a decision of explaining to you everything about the Hōgyoku as the creator.

“So, to summarize the Hōgyoku is actually a sentient being with its own will with the power to manifest the desires of those around them. But it’s only feasible if said individual has the strength to turn its guidance into reality. Well, this is certainly well beyond my initial understanding of it being a means to dissolving the boundaries between opposites and reaching complete hybridization. As well as breaking the limits of an individual by simultaneously strengthening the soul and body.”

“Fred not dearest father, this Hōyōzuki Yokubō still holds that capability since it was the first wish that I granted.” Hōyōzuki smiles, confidently placing her hand on her chest, specifically around the cleavage area/collarbone. “It’s how I was also able to modify and refine Lord Haruto’s companions in addition to granting their wishes.”

“..You know you don’t have to call me Lord. Just Haru will do.” You awkwardly remind Hōyōzuki who shakes her head.

“Nonsense, it’s because of you that I am here right now. I owe you my life. So treating you anything else than my lord and master would be disrespecting that gift.” Hōyōzuki remarks, sitting closer to you in seiza sitting style.

Tessai slowly turns to Kisuke who was scratching his face at watching you and Hōyōzuki being so chummy with one another. Without saying a single thing the two were already communicating in secret about the predicament. Although Tessai was right to be cautious for both your sake and the impending threat of a certain man, Kisuke once again alleviate him of his worries. Even now he could still see the Hōgyoku safely put inside your soul. That didn’t change the severity of this prodigious moment as Schrödinger's cat was the first thing to come to mind to describe this ubiquitous state of existence.

“Anyway, we’re both deeply sorry for the trouble that this will put you in.” You remark before prostrating into a proper bow with Hōyōzuki watching curiously before doing the same.

Rubbing the back of his head, Kisuke smiles to himself. “Well, what’s done is done. Like I told you back then Haru, I should be the one apologizing. As well, I should’ve told you the whole story about the Hōgyoku sooner. I figured keeping you in the dark about it was the best course to action since I sensed you subjugating the device into dormancy. Thus there was no need to trouble a nine-year-old boy on the whole ramification.” With that said, Kisuke went to doing the same bow to you as you suddenly rise up.

“It’s fine, you don’t need to tell me your reasons or apologize to me. You were doing what you thought was right, nothing more. So don’t beat yourself up. Besides, I’m not exactly innocent here either. Rather than worrying about what has happened, we should keep our eyes on the present.”You wave your hand to dismiss Kisuke’s bow before relaxing yourself. A slight shift in your eyes showing disapproval of the term to describe your relationship between you and Hōyōzuki. “Also, I wouldn’t call it subjugation. I befriended Hōyōzuki and accepted her into my soul. If It really was just subjugation, I wouldn’t be able to have listened to her desire back then and liberated her. Nor would she have developed her own will and consciousness and become her own person. So please don’t ever say something like that again, Master.”

“That’s very true, my apologies. Anyway, right now Ms. Yokubō is no different than our Ururu, an enhanced artificial soul, though it seems more accurate to call you a modified soul on this instance So having her out like this isn’t problematic. Although it’s only a fraction of the full Overbearing Power of the Hōgyoku, she still radiates overwhelming spiritual power. But unlike our dear friend Ichigo Kurosaki, she’s in full control of her tremendously vast levels of spiritual energy. So I don’t have to worry about her inadvertently causing high-spec humans to come into existence just by being near her.” Kisuke explains.

Pushing his hat back, tilting over his face Kisuke takes a light pause before giving off a more serious tone. "Otherwise, it may be better to keep her isolated. Still, even I have to admit that despite your good intentions with your friends. It might have ended up bringing a storm to Karakura town. The power obtained and further cultivated will undoubtedly be beacons to attract trouble to them and those around them. Inevitable as it might have been with just Ichigo and yourself to an extent, things certainly escalated prodigiously with Ms.Yokubō. And I don’t need to say the dangers that she herself carries. “
>>
>>4412718

Staring deeply into Kisuke’s eyes you can tell first hand there was a hint of melancholy in his perceptive gaze. Once again it’s clear that he knew something that you didn’t. Then again, it was always like that, so you weren’t really off-put about it. Turning your attention to Hōyōzuki, you see a somber look on her face. She didn’t need to say a single word about how guilty she feels. All she was doing was following her programming and fulfilling her purpose. And yet there was a moment of doubt if it was best for her to be around. That perhaps she was better off returning into dormancy.

I don't know about trying to "fish" for the information. Let's just get it all out there, don't even try to skirt around the issue. Hoyozuki's a living being and we've been more than clear about our stance regarding life, so changing her back isn't going to be an option. But considering Kisuke's fears, the danger is pretty apparent so we need a different solution that'll be good for everyone. And to do that we have to be on the same page. We need to finally learn about Aizen and the stakes at hand.

Although you only knew Hōyōzuki for just a couple of hours, it seems like you were far beyond mere acquaintances. A bond strong enough to transcend the boundaries between the perception of time and the gravity of space. Without even needing to use your heart/soul reading ability you already sensed Hōyōzuki’s emotions. There were deep admiration and gratitude towards her father figure sure. But at the same time, there was a continuous amount of melancholia within the white maiden. Almost to the point of desolation, she was masking her feelings with a bittersweet smile. She was afraid, that much you could tell from her subtle cues.

Turning to Kisuke’s side you could tell that there was a reason why he was he was avoiding making eye contact with Hōyōzuki. There was no resentment or hate in his eyes, you never took him for being a petty man. All you could feel was a sense of guilt and remorse. A troubling outlook that otherwise burdened the shopkeeper and took away his usual joyous and humble demeanor. Tessai held a more worried look towards the situation. He was naturally sympathetic towards Hōyōzuki. At the same time, he couldn’t overlook the dangers and risks that her existence brings. Thus he found himself standing at a crossroads between what his mind and heart wanted to do.

Having a knack for reading the room, you abruptly slam your hand against the table. Letting out just enough force for a loud smacking sound to awaken everyone from their pity party. Your face was obscured, leaving everyone to believe you are rather dead serious on the topic at hand. This would be rather offputting for those who know you. To see the laid-back and easygoing Haruto becoming more hardboiled and no-nonsense was a major mood whiplash. All eyes now fall on you as you lazily arch yourself back.

“I mean from a logical standpoint you raise a good point. There surely would be a lot of people who would be interested in a wish-granting orb. Even if they don’t have the strength for it, the very concept around it could be enough incentive to still want it.” You weary sigh, placing your hands against the floor and dropping the yoga sitting pose.

“It really would be a problem having to fight all those people. Not to mention you being right about how all of our strength increase probably altered the attention of someone important. Or at least act like beacons for hollows to come in and try to devour the souls that are making it. Like moths drawn to a flame.” As you said those words, the smile on Hōyōzuki’s face lowered.
Pun intentions aside, she was feeling like everyone was in unison in wishing she didn’t exist. But before she could say anything, you merely placed your hand on top of her head in a reassuring pat.

“Guess we got no choice but to get stronger and defeat whoever comes to take away our halcyon days.” You casually smiled, looking to the adults in the room with confidence.
>>
>>4415841

Shocked by your proclamation, Kisuke shifts his eyes to a more serious if not questionable callous expression. “You shouldn’t make statements like that Haru. This isn’t some delinquent’s brawl after school or a mere flock of hollows attacking. The Hōgyoku is a dangerous object that could end up tipping the scale of the world’s balance. We could be in for a serious war if we overlook the impending dangers in front of us.” Kisuke argues, trying to explain the ramifications of your bold words.

“But that’s just the Hōgyoku. Hōyōzuki isn’t an object nor should be categorized as the same as the Hōgyoku. She transcended such limitations upon obtaining free will, self-awareness, and moral responsibility. She’s a person, a living being just like you and me. Having been isolated for over a hundred years, the time has finally begun to flow for her. No longer is she merely watching from afar or drifting into dormant slumbers never once experiencing the world cut off from her. She can now experience the joys found in life and wonders that accompany it.” You counterargued, taking a standoffish stance while remaining polite.

“So do any of us really have a right to take that away from her? Because from what I’m gathering is that we should rob her of that or worse deny her existence. And I won’t tolerate the extinguishing of a life.”

“Young Haru, nobody is here is saying that we should do something so drastic.“ Tessai interject, trying to remedy the situation to the best of his ability. Before he could say anything further, Kisuke arch his hand towards him and shakes his head.

“No Tesai. He’s exactly right. After all, I did tried to erase her multiple times when she was the Hōgyoku for the past hundred years. All to keep a certain man from getting his hands on it. I can completely understand if Ms. Yokubō resents me for it especially if she remembers those things. I don’t have the right to call myself a father in this instance over her. And truthfully, I was at my ropes of desperation, hence why I ended up using you to house the Hōgyoku. Hoping to keep it suppressed and hidden for all of eternity and thwarting his plans.” Kisuke explains bluntly as he dropped all manner of thoughtfulness in his polite words.

“You might hate me for deceiving you and essentially keeping you in the dark for all these years while having you work for me. You have every right to since I ended up turning this happenstance into an opportunity. And as a result, all of your friends are now dragged into this in addition to Ms. Yokubō. At some point, I even denied her the right to exist and couldn’t bring myself to do anything for her. So for that, I’m terribly sorry.” Tilting his head downward and putting his balled-up fist down tot he floor, Kisuke effectively bows in apologize without hesitation.
>>
>>4415868

“Mr. Kisuke…” Tessai mutters in shock. Not that he didn’t share the same sentiment of remorse but he was still trying to keep things civil and hope to reach for a true understanding between you and Kisuke.

Hōyōzuki on the other hand was fidging her fingers together. She was confused by all of this and that confusion, in turn, made her weary and fearful. She couldn’t bring herself to hate her creator since by a logical standpoint he was absolutely right. While her conscience was new there was a clear sense that she still couldn’t force herself to be livid and lash out on Kisuke. He was just doing what he thought was right considering how many lives were thrown into chaos by her creation. And could sense the immense guilt emitting from her creator’s heart even now.

“No-no. You don’t need to apologize, much less to me of all people. This lowly self isn’t worth it and like you said I’m a serious threat. So please...don’t beat yourself up over for me…” As Hōyōzuki studders in her attempt to alleviate everyone’s mood by waving her arms in exaggerating comedy arcs. You could pick up the slight cracking in her voice, tears unknowingly coming out of her eyes as she was driven into a discombobulated state.

Haruto's got a promising career as a family therapist once this is all over. The compromise option explicitly mentioned dissolving the blame and I definitely want to do that and forgive Kisuke. We already found his concerns understandable and if we weren't such a ridiculous monster of a child, they likely would've been 100% correct.

Not entirely sure what we'd contact Yoruichi for unless by contacting her, we mean bringing her here to get everyone involved in the conversation before the full story is revealed. I'd be up for that. Makes sense to get the full story from all participants involved.

I believe he actually is also asking for forgiveness from Hoyozuki, which is why she responded with

Of course, she's accepting it with her values still all wonky but I have a feeling seeing this apology from her father and actually talking to him more will help humble her view of Haruto and Kisuke.

Scratching your hair a bit you advert your gaze from Hōyōzuki before sighing silently. “Please Stop. It alright now. There’s no need for you to apologize or to express how sorry you are to me with your actions. At least not to me anyway.” You turn your attention to Hōyōzuki’

“I was never mad about you keeping stuff from me. Nor did I ever resented you from your involvement in all of this. In the end, it was I who chose this path, just like it was my friends’ choice to go through what they have instead of relinquishing the power and closing door to that chapter of their lives permanently. I might not fully understand it, but according to Hōyōzuki, the Hōgyoku merely guides the person in question to the path best suited for their inner desire and wishes. It doesn’t give them a free pass and/or grant them anything beyond the tools to help achieve their goals. So all that has happened is because deep down we all want it. So in the end, it’s still our choice, and we should never show any regret for choosing to follow what we think is right.” You explain to Kisuke and Tessai, momentarily placing your right hand to the chest as you memorize those words.

Following up by extending your index finger to Hōyōzuki’’s face, you gently began whipping the tears from her smooth pale face. Her eyes widen at both the sensation and general surprise factor of your action. Emitting from your hand was a warm touch. The same immense warmness that envelops the Hōgyoku even as we speak. A thick and comfy blanket that gave closure and peace of mind with its tranquil serenity. Hōyōzuki’s lips crumble into a frown before suddenly clinging to you. Burying her face into your chest as she starts to sob uncontrollably. You merely smile at her, rubbing her crystal white locks/

Keeping the modified soul close to you, you turn your attention back to Kisuke and Tessai. “Just like how I believe the Hōgyoku isn’t a mistake or a curse. When you really think about it, it’s such a kind power. A true blessing in disguise. Power itself is neither good nor evil, it’s a natural force that is swayed the will and resolve of those that hold it. It all depends on the person wielding that power. So I believe both the Hōgyoku and Hōyōzuki’s potential is infinite and can do so much good for the world. So again, I don’t believe that both your intentions for creating her and Hōyōzuki herself can ever be labeled as a mistake.”
>>
>>4417598

“Even if it may end up bringing hardships and heartbreak, isn’t it better to experience the positives that come from it rather than cut yourself off from the world out of fear of getting hurt? No physical pain can be compared to the emptiness living in a stagnating reality can bring. At that point, you’re not really alive, even death is better at that point. Just a shell of your former self just drifting in between the motions. No better than a statue or a soulless machine. That’s why I won’t let myself succumb to despair and let the flow of my life come to an abrupt stop. “ You declare to the room, telling yourself these exact words like some sort of mantra or chant. A pledge to your soul to never waver as the resolve around you resonates in tandem with your heart.

“Again, I can understand completely the dangers that this brings. You’re far smarter than me and probably know who exactly we’re dealing with. But even so, I won’t let anyone take away the life given to Hōyōzuki. The hard-fought freedom that she finally obtained. Just like you and me, she deserves to smile, to laugh, to cry, to fluster, to experience all kinds of emotions, and embrace what it means to be alive. I won’t let her returned to being a caged animal and returning to eternal solitude. After all, I made a promise to Hōyōzuki. ”

“A promise?” Tessai asks, curious about the fact while slowly feeling renewed if not completely touched between the blooming relationship between you and Hōyōzuki

Nodding to Tessai you turn your eyes downwards to Hōyōzuki who was slowly beginning to calm down and steadily stop crying. “Yeah, I promised her that I would lend all the power and assistance I can to support her on her journey to discover herself and find what she desires most. Though, now I have one more vow to make.”You paused, shifting your attention back to the room. Your eyes lightening up as the pupils show a white flame resonating deeply from within. “A vow that I swore to myself with every fiber of my soul.”

“Everything has a right to exist. No one but yourself can tell you the value of your life or tell you the reason why you should live. Nor do you really need a reason to live and exist. We’re all just trying to do our best to live day by day to the fullest. I’m only a human so my time is more finite than anyone else in this room. But it’s because of that time that I can see the true beauty and meaning that is the fleeting lifespan of humanity. Our lives can always end abruptly and without warning. Even if we don’t succumb to the misfortune of an untimely death, we will eventually grow to the point of withering before ultimately dying. At first, it seems cruel to only be given enough time to know what we want but not to act on it. It’s precisely because we age and die that our lives have value and nobility. Much like every other creature in their eternal battle with death.”
>>
>>4417608

“Hōyōzuki is no exception to this fact. So I don’t want her to ever feel like it was a mistake for her to be born. Therefore, if you really want me to forgive you then apologize to Hōyōzuki and treat her like a genuine father to her. There’s nothing more sad and cruel than being rejected by the ones who gave you life.” You remark to Kisuke, directing his gaze right towards his creation as she finally feels at peace. A compromise between stern hardboiled resolve and chill tranquility exudes from your ambiance as the room started to become more relaxed and at peace.

“Besides, the Hōgyoku is still within me locked safe. And it’s not like everyone is at fault for what happened here. So rather than being all loom and gloom, let’s instead focus on the present and work together to ensure that our town continues having its halcyon days uninterrupted. If we all work together, then I’m sure everything will turn out fine in the end.” Breaking from the compromised expression you went back to your typical laid-back and cherry expression as the final nail to the coffin on the loom and gloom vibes completely dissipated.

“Mr. Haruto, you really are...one crazy kid.” Kisume muses with a laugh, no longer resembling a man who was wrenched deeply by his own inner turmoil. “Very well, I’ll do just that.”

“Well, I take after my mentors well. Besides, being offbeat is far more fun than strictly being orthodox.” You smiled, giving acknowledge to Kisuke and Tessai who the latter just breaks into tears of joys from having such a kind-hearted student “Anyway, I think you should tell me everything about the dangers we’re facing and the enemy that we’ll have to defeat to keep our halcyon days. I’ve proven I’m mature enough to be burden with the truth.”

“But, it’ll have to wait until Ms. Yoruichi shows up. I think she should have every right to listen to this discussion and weigh in her opinion before converse with you over the truth. That, and I believe everyone could use a breather. Especially Hōyōzuki, she’s worn out and needs to recover. I rather not continue our discussion until she fully at a hundred percent.” You kindly point out, slowly picking Hōyōzuki up like a princess. It seems that in her crying she ended up passing out as your good vibes were enough to alleviate her of her pent up sorrows.

Nodding in response, Kisuke quickly pulls out his fan as he pictures Yoruichi’s face. “..Of course, Ms. Yoruichi isn’t going to be happy about all of this once she comes back from her trip.”

You and everyone in the room momentarily grimace at the thought of Yoruichi losing her temper over your antics yet again. You try to reassure yourself that everything was going to turn out alright. Unfortunately, you couldn’t imagine yourself having any means of victory in trying to calm down and pacify the goddess of flash. Tatsuki was one thing, but Yoruichi was a whole new spectrum of temperamental.

First real major event. It'll be a nice change of pace to actually deal with enemies, though with our current power level, it probably won't be that big a deal.

I dunno how much of that wish-granting BS Hoyo can tap into for us but just basing off what the gang can do currently I think Aizen would still beat our ass thanks to Kyoka Suigetsu. We've got a decent amount of raw power but only a few tricky/conceptual abilities and the big boys practically specialize in the latter.

I agree, but the fodder hollows who gave Ichigo a rough time in the first arc would get steamrolled if they showed up now. The gang is about 8 people who could all hold their own in a fight with a non-captain Shinigami and beat the vast majority of seated officers 1v1. I get the impression several Gillian Menos would have to drop from the sky before we started to break a sweat. The first arc's boss-fight could be a non-Arrancar Adjucas or two with a bunch of minions to present an actual challenge.

The following week was a relatively quiet one, to say the least. Much like you and the gang suggested and even ran through Kisuke’s opinion, Rukia transferred herself into Karakura Town High. Due to the Jūreichi (重霊地, Important Spirit Ground) being deeply enriched with concentrated natural spiritual energy from the Reimyaku (霊脈, Spiritual Pulse) it’s not terribly uncommon for High-Spec Human (超人(ハイスペック・ヒューマンズ Haisupekku・Hyuumanzu; Japanese for Superhuman) to pop up from time to time. Especially whenever one is the victim of hollow attacks or the careless exposure of a remarkably powerful soul or a human with Reiryoku. That is generally why a squad from the Gotei 13 courts generally takes jurisdiction over it. A task that is usually let to the 13th Division. The very same one Rukia was in.

By that logic, Rukia being in school with the rest of you fit within her mission as the residential guarding shinigami. What better way to protect Karakura town than keeping an eye on the “squad”. Normally there was no serious trouble with leaving "High-Spec" Humans to their own devices, it was still within everyone’s best interest to keep them monitored. Especially the eight of you who broke the boundaries for even rarest versions who actually managed to developed powers and special characteristics known as Spirit Mediums (建築家世志 (スピリット・ミディアム), Supiritto Midiamu; Japanese for "Architects of the World's Will"). As far as soul society would be concerned, the eight of you are prodigious mavericks.

It didn’t help that two of you are Quincy (Uryu & Ichigo), another two being Fullbringers (Chad & Riruka), a Draconian/Dragonclad (Tatsuki), an unusual Spirit Medium (Kyoko), a Bount (Haruto) and even a substitute shinigami (Orihime). Two people especially were on Rukia’s radar. Ichigo who was naturally a Shinigami/Quincy hybrid, and you who was naturally a Bount/Dragon hybrid. And that wasn’t going to stumble into your persona magnet of ending up getting shinigami powers from three female holders (Yoruichi, Rukia, Senna). Then there was the unregistered shinigami Kazumi Sato otherwise known by her nickname Senna.

Add in the mysterious mod soul Hōyōzuki and you’ll begin seeing why for Rukia Kuchiki this was a necessary evil. The silver lining is that Rukia didn’t directly mention any of your names in her report in exchange for directly observant you and helping her out. In her current condition, she would raise too many suspicions and complications for everyone. Not to mention Rukia didn’t want to deal with the ruling hell of having three potential substitutes running around with one of them being the most “official” out of the bunch. Honestly, you couldn’t blame her or Kisuke over the precautions put on everyone to remain inconspicuous as possible.
>>
>>4419638

Speak of Kisuke, you decided that after Hōyōzuki’s breakdown to postpone the meeting with him and the others. It didn’t feel right for you to continue after that heartwrenching moment. That and you feel that Yoruichi should be apart of it since you did get Kisuke to promise to tell you everything. Whether or not you would tell the gang about this when the time comes was your responsibility. But that was a topic for another time. Right now you focused primarily on your everyday life with the occasional hollow busting. It was a good way of keeping everyone active and further tuning their output control and regulation.

However, given the number of people involved, it was quite challenging making excuses during school for hollow busting. Thus you and then gang began taking frequent rotations. Naturally, Ichigo refused but after much “convincing” from Tatsuki, Rukia and Senna Ichigo relented on the idea. Leaving you, Uyu and Yasutora documenting on the femdom, keeping a record on not getting on the siren’s bad side. Orihime, Riruka and Hōyōzuki were oblivious to the mood while Kyoko took on the wrangler role nonchalantly. Overall you were fine with the setup and rules. The only stipulation you personally put out was that one of the teams has to have a shinigami or a means of “purifying” hollows with them. To which everyone agreed.

Aside from that things were relatively peaceful and tranquil. The biggest surprise was how well Rukia was adapting to high school. Surprisingly with Tatsuki and Orihime’s help, she became fluent in modern Japanese and decently aware of modern customs. Still, it was clear that Rukia was still a fish out of the water as she frequently asks one of the people in the crew questions about the human world’s modern devices. This wasn’t too hard to hide from your remaining classmates as Ryō didn’t really care, Chizuru & Keigo was far too distracted in the new beauties to pay any mind, and Michiru was too coy to really pry any attention.
>>
>>4419641

The only one who would be a problem was Mizuiro Kojima but unlike Keigo, Mizuiro could read the room easily even if his senses were cut off. That’s just how dangerously sharp his awareness and perception skills are. So Mizuiro didn’t really pry in the matters. Besides he wasn’t really interested since none of the girls was at his preferred range of older women. To which you almost had to hold back your drink when you think about three girls who immediately fit the “Christmas cake” shooting range. In any case, May was coming quickly to a close as it wouldn’t be long until it was June.

May 27th. It was another clear sunny day as summer was drawing ever closer. Today you find yourself about to go participate with your aunts to Karakura Roller Rink. How long has it been since you spent time with either one of them? With your job at the Urahara shop and school, you haven’t found the time to hang out in family activities. Which is ironic considering how often the two of them meet up at your house. From your father’s side was Berenice Gabrieli’s roots, while from your mother’s side was Ikumi Unagiya. Both of which you knew closely for as long as you remember.

Berenice was as you put it the “Cool” aunt who practically indulges your laid-back way of life. She always kept you broadening your horizons and trying new things with her whimsical and capricious lifestyle. You generally never could get a read on her maverick way of thinking. But on the flip side things were never boring. On the other side was Ikumi who you often got to see practically daily despite Berenice being the one you’re living with. While Ikumi pampered you as if you were her own son, she also thoroughly conditioned you in body, mind, and spirit. To this day you could never beat her as in your opinion she was a greater monster than Tatsuki with the experience to boot.

For better or worse you owe Ikumi for your fighting ability and Berenice for your deductive skills. Something that you find yourself sharing in parental preparation with Ichigo and Uryu given similar methods. Course by now it was already deeply integrated your lifestyle that you acted autonomously without thought. Such was needed when dealing with Ikumi’s spontaneous strikes and ambushes. It was only natural that Ikumi would teach you everything she knows in martial arts to keep yourself safe despite being the one to suggest to your parents of signing you up for karate. But you feel ever since you were working for Kisuke that Ikumi’s methods became more...fierce.

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Ikumi wanted you to work for her at the family shop. Even with Kisuke’s collaboration, you got the feeling that to this day Ikumi was still sulking about it. What could you do? As you got done with freshening up you quickly went through your phone call with your parents. It was mostly the usual as you told them about your everyday life, minus the supernatural stuff for obvious reasons. Although you loved your parents deeply and cherished them, there was some part of you seeing yourself closer to your aunts than your biological parents.
>>
>>4431775

Granted with their positions it wasn’t easy raising three children with their limited time. Then there was the fact due to reasons you settled into staying in Karakura Town than heading to London with your family. You felt obligated to stay in Karakura town and with what you known about the Hōgyoku so far it was all the more imperative. Speaking of you turned to Hōyōzuki who was still taking a shower. Kazumi left earlier in order to hang out with Kyoko and Uryu as there was a book signing to one of her favorite novel series. As for your spirits, they were all still in your inner world doing their own thing.

Thus it was only natural that you take Hōyōzuki rollerskating with you and your aunts. Each one of your friends was off doing their own thing so this was perfect for you to spend some time with the mod soul. Naturally, she was doing well learning about the human world and their customs through Kisuke and the company. Ururu especially has been helping with Hōyōzuki. They almost act like complete sisters to one another, which was absolutely adorable to you. As you get yourself ready, something begins to move from the window in lightning-quick fashion.

An impending feeling crept up to your shoulders as you check yourself in the mirror. Nothing too extravagant, just a white denim shirt, blue jeans, matching baseball cap, and your built-in rollerskates sneakers. Smart, casual, and cool, the quintessential ingredients that comprise your smooth easygoing style. After all, you didn’t want to stand out and draw unwanted attention, especially when considering whom you’re going with. The only thing left complete the outfit was your trusty pair of red headphones. Which thankfully enough was sitting right on your computer desk near your portable media player and flip-phone style smartphone.

Even as the impending feeling to more dreadful you chose to remain chill as can be. Rather than stressing over the strange vibes, you merely chose to reach over for your stuff. Trusting your instincts and going with the flow was the cornerstone of your insightful intuition. Having a cool head and adapting to your surroundings generally brought a sense of security. A sort of keyword that ultimately becomes your mantra as you often utter “Everything will be all right.” Thinking back on it, it was that very same mantra that helped you get through a multitude of trials and tribulations. Today it would be no different.

Reaching for the headphones you lean down just low enough to avoid the impending tackle that came your way. From the window emerged none other than your aunt Ikumi doing another one of her routine sneak attacks. With your split-second dodge, Ikumi was left in a daze just moments before hitting the wall with a loud thud. Face forward into the hard surface, Ikumi erratically with unrelenting enthusiasm bounced back with a swift snap kick like nothing happened. To which you merely dodge the first kick by lowering yourself before turning to the side to avoid the second kick.

Practically in sync with your aunt’s natural combat movement and fighting patterns you nonchalantly dodge her onslaught of attacks. Simultaneously defending and reacting without acknowledgment of the impending situation and/or threat left you able to focus on getting your supplies. Bet it fancy footwork or fluidic finesse, you manage to avoid the ubiquitous strikes and maneuvers aimed at you. In light of this Ikumi displayed a strange emotion. Normally one would be discouraged if not disturbed by how in-tune you are to her rhythm. For Ikumi, it only motivated her more as she formed her trademark sadistic smile.
>>
>>4433349
>65 (adding to the 82)

Today must have been an especially good day since Ikumi was able to get warmed up from your continuous disrupting dodges and side-stepping evasion. Even while getting into the act, Ikumi was no fool. All of her well-timed blows and strikes manage to avoid causing any damage to your room. The last thing she wanted was a passive-aggressive Berenice lecturing her about self-control. Still, she was finding herself rather impressed at her little black belt holding his own with her as gradually she was getting more serious. The ambiance around her all the more gave you the impression of a savage beast gradually sharpening their claws and fangs.

As bothersome as it was, you couldn’t help but feel gratitude to Ikumi for honing your skills to this extent. After all, this level of obstruction was only possible through the ten years of training and conditioning you underwent from your eccentric aunt. More than that it was your clear tranquility that allowed you to embody the philosophy wisdom of both Sun Tsu ("clear mirror") and Confucius ("still water"). A trained state of mind not unlike the concept of Mushin, in that being calm and steady in the face of adversity one is capable of grasping the situation undisturbed and to follow through without fault and with understanding of what action to take.

Sensing things getting more hectic from Ikumi finally finishing up her warm-up, your body quickly took the initiative before Serious Ikumi came out. Maneuvering yourself in direct tandem with Ikumi’s swift right hook, you tactfully position yourself behind her. In a fluid motion, you followed up by wrapping one of your arms underneath Ikumi’s armpit. Performing the necessary steps you entrap your grandmaster martial artist aunt in a mix between a full nelson and a judo arm triangle chokehold. The resulting action ultimately leaving both of you pinned on the ground as you mount on top of Ikumi, holding her down.

>Try to get your Auntie Ikumi to stand down and submit this round to you.
>Call this match a draw and coax Ikumi to come with you as you avoid letting her see Hoyozuki

“I think that’s enough auntie Mii. If you let yourself get immersed in the act then you’re going to be too tired for roller skating.” You remind Ikumi, holding her in place as you finally register what has been happening.

“Colored me surprised Haru. I didn’t expect you to have improved this much. Goes to show that you’ve been taking your martial arts training seriously despite no longer going to the Karakura Dojo.” Ikumi turns to look at you as she still sprouts her craze smile. You could tell that while pinned she was getting ready to break out of the hold and go back on the offensive. The glint in her hazelnut eyes was an obvious sign of her embracing going serious/

Picking up on her rising fighting spirit, you switched to a different approach upon reflecting on her last words. “Well, when I have you by my side always keeping me at the top of my game then there’s no way I wouldn’t be operating at this level.”

“Really?” Ikumi asks, her ears perking up a bit in response to the complimentary words thrown at her directions.

“Yeah. Nobody in the dojo could teach me, let alone condition me to the peak performance and optimized efficiency such a prime condition can afford quite like yourself. Already I feel like I could fight an actual Ussuri brown bear or the reigning champion at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo easily thanks to your assistance. I’m really am grateful to have such a doting and attentive aunt looking after me. She’s so kind, thoughtful, caring, it’s almost like my own mother is right here with me. And she happens to be quite beautiful too, just like you.” You continue buttering up Ikumi. There were no lies in your words but that didn’t change how you played towards feeding her ego and appealing to her mothery side. Hopefully repressing her ferocious aggression in the process.

In tandem to blushing deeply at your words, Ikumi suddenly shifts to acting more demure and mother, acting as a living incarnation of Yamato Nadeshiko. “I-Is that so. Well, then I’m glad that you been taking these lessons seriously. As well as appreciate the time I put in raising you in your mom’s steed when she cannot.” Ikumi laughs in a giddy manner. Her heart was going all doki doki with motherly love as she melts under your smooth persuasion skills and a silver tongue. You swear she was treating you like her own seven-year-old son Kaoru, maybe even more.

“I do. And I’m sure Tats also appreciates it since it gives her more of an incentive to improve and become strong just like you. So how is Kaachan by the way? I’m sure he’s must be feeling a little lonely with you checking up on me frequently.”

“Oh, Kaoru is just fine. I make sure to keep my sweet little boy taken care of just like how I do with my favorite nephew. He’s currently at a slumber party with friends celebrating their birthday. Otherwise, he would be coming along with us to the roller rink. As for Tatsuki, it’s good to hear about your childhood friend. I’ve heard she taken over as the strongest fighter in the dojo. All the more imperative to always keep yourself steadfast and immovable. Though you should really think about making your move on her soon. She’s gonna grow up beautiful like me, after all, we are like two peas in the same pod.” Ikumi flushed happy, wiggling a bit to the rhythm of her fluttering heart as her maternal instincts took immense control.

Just as things were going well for you, you’d see someone about to step out of your personal bathroom. It was Hōyōzuki currently brushing against her Rapunzel-like crystallized white hair. The steaming shower obscured her voluptuous figure but the implication of the screen gave way to a more...problematic scene as the mod soul made her way out.

We're going with them anyway. Nighty just needs to get her dressed and not turn this into more of a harem cliche. Then we can just introduce them or something, say they came here from Urahara's. I'm not sure what the relationship between them all are. IIRC Berenice already knows about Senna?

Talk about going from bad to worst in a blink of an eye. Just creaking out from the door was Hōyōzuki in her birthday suit glory, completely unaware of social customs or the fact that you are currently still pinning your aunt in a compromising position. If Ikumi was to see her like this then the alibi you came up for Hōyōzuki would immediately go down the drain. Out of the residents within the metaverse that embodies the inner world of your soul, only Kazumi Sato otherwise known by Senna was actually registered as a roommate. A natural outcome born from Kazumi previously being ejected from the metaverse.

Thanks to the sob story you gave to your aunts they agreed to house Senna and ultimately treat her as part of the family. Although you ultimately re-established the soul binding link between Senna and your soul summons during the six years of training. You and Senna choose to continue the charade and having Senna live in your house rather than return to housing inside your soul. To which may have been a blessing ever since Riruka made her way into the safe haven, Nahtigalou was rather seething to the point of being passive-aggressive for some time. Each time one of you try to talk about it, Nahtigalou becomes unrelenting cold and unresponsive.

Something clearly happened and not just putting the tsundere in her place according to Tenko’s report. Choosing not to trouble your Däl you left the matter be and merely focused your attention elsewhere. With the addition of both Shijinjū Tenkō and Hōyōzuki, your charade of masking those artificial souls as friends from work and/or school only grew. Your family knew them as Haruka Sendō (Nighty), Ryūko Akunakigō (Jabba), Yoruaka Namazu (Tenko), and Hōyōzuki Yokubō (hogyoku). Despite merely referring to them as good friends, there were a lot of concerns over you becoming a potential player. But that was a story for another time.

Bird, Doggy Dragon, Cat, and now Moth, these were the four flora themed companions that you find yourself intertwined with as aspects of your power. For better or worse. Thus you merely invoke the assistance of the first one you awakened to remedy this problem. Just by picturing her did her presence starts to manifest from the “shadows”. Stepping from the shadowy silhouette of Hōyōzuki, “Haruka” came into play. Dressed in a daring white halterneck top, a blue jacket, a white side tide miniskirt, and matching stockings, Haruka illustrates the embodiment of angelic beauty.

With a mere stroke of her mighty blue wings, she halts Hōyōzuki from moving further before gently pulling her back into the bathroom. The door follows to close itself without making a peep. With the crisis adverted you took a mental sigh of relief at avoiding a terrible cliche. As you thank the stares, your bedroom door would start to open. Moving quicker than you had any time to respond was your aunt Berenice wearing a relatively casual look for the incomprehensible maverick. Only now in all the commotion did you realize a knocking motion getting drowned out by the previous chains of events.

“Even though I’m expecting your privacy by knocking, I’m also gonna be asserting my authority as your surrogate parental guardian by coming in anyway.” Berenice smiles, gently opening the door as she soon finds herself staring at you still holding Ikumi in place in a compromising position. Her hand instantly drops from the doorknob with her facial expression relaxing into a wide smile, eyes narrowed to slits.

>Try to pacify your surrogate mom as you explain the situation to her
