You are Ushi Walker, the half-japanese/half-american wielder of the mighty quirk “Everything is Bigger in Texas", one of U.A. High's top first-year students, and apparently important enough to be ambushed by your opponents... but not enough for your teammates to not scamper off without you. Thanks to that, you are a dead girl walking for the purpose of the survival training exercise.

While you're sure no one is trying to seriously injure anyone, judging by the way your teeth feel in your gums, you are sure Ingenium could have you spittin’ chiclets with just a bit more force, or maybe even kill you if he really wanted.

"Neat." You mutter to yourself, feeling an odd relief that you aren't the only one with that potential issue as a hero-in-training.

Then you bring your hands back up to your neck and your new capture-tape choker, reminding you once again that you are “dead”.

Maybe it's for the best. No shame in getting ditched and then focused down. Not to say you aren't disappointed, but your head is pulsing painfully and you could stand to sit out the rest of this exerciseand recover.

This doesn't mean that you won't try to help your team as best as you can though, posthumously as it were.

"Ah lost Tin, and they won't hurt me more…" You try to calm the seemingly worried robot, then yell loud enough to worsen your headache. "NOW GET OUTTA ‘ERE AND REGROUP! AND TELL THOSE TWO BOZOS AH'LL SMACK 'EM AROUND NEXT TIME AH SEE 'EM FOR LEAVING US BEHIND!"

>"...Call upon me if you need me, Mistress," is all Tin says before turning around and starting to accelerate back the way it came.

>"Right!" Uravity answers as well while riding on Tin's back. "I’ve got a few words of my own for those dorks!"

"Yer the most responsible of the group!" You yell, holding a hand to the side of your head, nursing your now pounding skull. "Ah believe in ya!"

While you are frustrated and hurt, you truly hope those two can bolster the couple of idiots that left you behind to win the exercise.

>"Iida should intercept her before she gets beyond the tree line." Creati points out as Tin and Uravity try to weave around Cellophane's barrage from the tree tops.

"Ingenium." You correct her without taking your eyes off your escaping friends. It proves harder than normal while feeling so dizzy. "And he's usin' that special move of his, innit? He's bound to stall in a short bit."

>"A single kick is all that’s needed, was enough to take you down." Invisible Girl comments.

"Nuh-uh, ‘twas the tape ya put 'round mah neck, Ah can take a couple kicks." You reply back, eyes still glued to the escaping robot. Not like you would have known where to look for her.
>>
It's not hard to notice Tin going much slower than before, keeping a steady roll as it carries your only sensible teammate away. Your worry that Creati and Invisible Girl might be right swells as the roar of an engine announces Ingenium coming back around to finish them off.

Between the barrage of tape from above and the silvery-white blur flying straight at them from the bushes, the outlook looks dim.

As Tin's tail twists overhead, pointedly swatting tape away, Ingenium takes his shot. Jumping over the bushes along with Tin, he aims his kick at Uravity's head. You wonder if that's how he looked like before his shin crashed against your face.

Then you realize why Tin is moving far slower. Its tail camera locks on to the speedster, and your robot companion twists its body to counterattack with its massive arms.

It proves too slow to swipe the kick away and it connects with Tin’s plating instead. The armor cracks with a shower of electric sparks, flashing arcs leaping from the robot to Ingenium's armored leg.

>"AGH!" You hear the zapped boy scream at the sudden jolt, losing his composure and form mid-air.

Uravity doesn't let the chance go to waste. She grabs onto Ingenium’s other leg and tosses him up and beyond the tree line just as his engines stall, leaving him flailing and grasping at nothing as he floats away.

>"YOU BETTER GO CATCH HIM!" Uravity yells up to the canopy as Tin continues speeding away.

You smugly smile at Creati as Cellophane opts to let them go, firing his tapes skywards in an attempt to catch Ingenium before his gravity-less form reaches the clouds.

>"Aren't you supposed to be dead?" Invisible Girl asks, no doubt taking in your expression.

"Ah'm haauntin' ya." You attempt to joke, but with the adrenaline fading, you start slurring your words as your injuries catch up with you. "Boo..."

Feeling your smile slough away from your face, you bring up your other hand to your forehead to nurse your headache, but Creati stops you, grabbing your hand in hers and bringing her free hand to your face, pulling up your eyelids one at a time and examining your eyes.

>"...That doesn't look good." She says, her expression morphing from one of a serious foe to that of a concerned friend. "You should return to the gates and rest; watch with the teachers or head to the nurse’s office if you must."

"...Ah guess." You slowly answer, waiting for her to take her mitts off your face. "Ah just need to… Uh… yeah, let mah brains settle."

>"Huh. You can just grab her and her face like that… You'd think she'd flinch or something." You hear Invisible Girl say, prompting Creati to quickly step back.

"Ah just… trust her." You tell her with an awkward shrug, raising a shoulder, then the other.

Creati turns away, opting to look up at the now tethered Ingenium as Cellophane slowly yet steadily reels in the flailing boy away from the sky and closer to the canopy.

"...Ah really need ta get mah head screwed back on right." You say, then wave at your captors as you start to powerwalk back to the gate. "Ah'll be seein' y'all!"

With that, you make your way back to the entrance, listening to the distant explosions, yells, and battlecries that start ringing throughout the forest as the hiding and ambushing part of the exercise is left behind and more brawls break out.

Awful lot of explosions though…

While you don't feel exactly peachy, far from that, you aren't hurt badly enough to miss the rest of the action, so you power through and jog the rest of the way back, speeding at times with the help of a few quirk-assisted jumps to get to the tall wall in just a couple minutes.

...And find no one at the gates, even after looking (and sniffing) around for a few seconds.

Luckily for you, there's not all that much blood in your nose, at least not enough to hide All-Might's disinfectant stench from you, telling you where to find your teachers.

With a crouch and a few seconds to make sure you aren't about to vault over the damn thing, you tap your thigh as you jump, quickly enlarging and shrinking your leg to get the boost you need to get atop the perimeter wall, landing next to a surprised All Might and a nonplussed Mr. Aizawa. Your white mist clings to you for a moment before being reabsorbed by your skin.

>"You were supposed to stay where you were captured." The latter states, looking at you for but a moment before continuing to look into the forest and the smoke plumes within that follow each explosion.

"Huh. Don't remember that part of the instructions." You reply, not trying to be a smartass or anything, just unsure if you actually forgot it with the excitement and head trauma.

>"It was implied." Your homeroom teacher tells you, to which you sigh in relief. "Usually you kids end up tied up or tangled in capture tape, not with just a loop around the neck."

"Oh, so it wasn't really important then." You wave it off, knowing that if it actually was a rule or something important, they'd tell you about it. "And yeah, Ah was more assassinated than beaten."

"SO WE SAW!" All Might exclaims, looking at you and dragging a finger over his neck. "Don't fret, young Walker, there's no greater praise than being singled out and jumped like that!... With that said, how did you find us? We made sure to not bring attention to ourselves and not distract you all!"

"Oh, that's easy!" You tell him, tapping your nose with your index and giving the hero a wide smile as you take a couple steps closer. "Ya can't hide from me!"

"'...KAY!" He simply says, taking that many steps back, coming to stand at the other side of Mr. Aizawa, who can only sigh.

>"If you want to stay and watch, feel free to do so in silence. We need to stay focused on the rest of the class, both to grade them and for their safety." Mr. Aizawa warns you.
>>
"Sure, sure…" You say, not quite believing him. After the fiery pit over which your parents were held hostage, you feel entitled to some safety concerns…

Digging into your belt for your phone, you swipe through a few menus and access Tin's cameras remotely, letting you watch the action not only from above (which seem to be mostly shaking trees and smoke) but on your phone.

It's… hard to say what exactly has already happened, but it's clear you are tuning in to the middle of a fight, likely one between three teams.

Tin's tail briefly focuses on Earphone Jack, sprawled on the ground with her jacks stabbed into the dirt, before focusing on Chargebolt who points at your robotic friend and… presumably zapps it? You can't quite tell, as the stream gets all wonky, but you can see several warnings about how the transmission and sensor suite, including the stability and targeting modules for Tin's guns, have been damaged and will require recalibrations, making you worry once more for it…

Then you see Tin's response, disregarding the damaged sensors and firing on optics alone. Being less than twelve feet apart, the spray of wax ammo doesn't need any targeting besides Chargebolt's general direction, illustrated by the fact that despite most projectiles going wildly off target, some still hit the blond boy, specifically in the head and chest.

While Tin's main eye stays trained on the reeling Chargebolt, its tail camera's flailing about allows you to get a glimpse of Deku and Bakugo, the first pulling Froppy by her tongue and slamming her against a tree, the latter cruelly releasing a barrage of quick and bright explosions, reducing Dark Shadow to a whimpering mess as the untitled hero charges at a retreating Tsukuyomi.

The most surprising thing, however, is seeing Uravity go toe-to-toe with Red Riot, sidestepping a rather sharp looking fist, grabbing his arm and tossing him face first into the ground, driving his sharpened head right into the dirt.

Then the main feed goes black, warnings flashing about the entire sensor block shutting down to prevent further damage from overload.

So the tail twists back to focus on Chargebolt, who is starting to look tired and… frankly, a tad dumber. That might be why he doesn't react in time to prevent Tin's metal tail from slapping him across the face, making the video really weird for a second and making you dizzy once more.

Then the tail camera flashes white, but you are sure it's not Tin being zapped this time, as you can see a good chunk of the forest light up as a barrage of missiles strikes.

"...WHAT KIND OF QUIRK IS THAT!?" You ask aloud, pointing at the few missiles still in the air.

>"Tadan's." Mr. Aizawa tells you. "His quirk is similar to Bakugo's, but lacks the concussive force that Bakugo uses to fight. Tadan's costume gathers his sweat and packs it in missiles, allowing him to use it at a safe distance."
>>
"Oh. Ah wasn't expectin' an answer... Thanks!" You answer, happy that you won't have to explain artillery damage to Mei… Just a lot of sensor frying…

Considering your most recent visit, you aren't looking forwards to that conversation.

Strangely enough, Tin moves blindly, a brief note about contact feedback indicating it being led away from the field before any of its cameras started working again.

A minute later, you can see your teammates huddled together as Tin's tail camera regains functionality, as well as Uravity holding the robot's much larger hand.

Seeing them talking but unable to hear them, you type in a message for Tin.

Subs plz?

A second later, text appears at the bottom of the screen.

>"...some signal noise to hide us? Can you do that, Tin? Please?" Uravity asks Tin as they all hide behind a rock.

The next line of text surprises you.

>"I'm about to close the feed. I can't stream and jam the airwaves at the same time. I will always be listening." It says, then your phone screen goes black.

"Aww…" You let out, pocketing the phone and looking at the now quiet forest. "...Oh gosh, Ah hope the birds left before that."

>"The smart ones know better than staying in school grounds after the explosions start." Mr. Aizawa explains.

With a nod, you continue watching the forest's… nothingness.

For a couple minutes, nothing seems to happen, then a sudden barrage of explosions shakes the canopy, the blasts of yellow light telling you that at least Bakugo is still fighting!

...Then a pink cloud starts spreading from the same point, quickly expanding across a good chunk of the forest below as it slowly dissipates.

"Uh… Is that gas someone's quirk too?" You ask, somewhat glad that you aren't down there having to run from air and somewhat disappointed that you didn’t get to use the gasmask you took from All Might that one time. You kinda wanted to use it for something, totally not to show off.

>"Fujimi's quirk, Zombie Virus. It's a rather troublesome quirk, able to quickly get out of control as it spreads." Aizawa explains as your stomach drops. "....We should stop the exercise an-"

"No. Now it truly can be called a survival situation..." All Might says, being the one to interrupt Mr. Aizawa this time, much to his and your surprise. "Ha! Don't worry you two, I'll stop it if things go badly!"

>"...I'll leave it in your hands, then." Mr. Aizawa says after a sigh.

"...What?" You ask, the only word you can say after witnessing that exchange.

>"It's his class, I'm here mainly to keep an eye on the Isami students." Mr. Aizawa explains as your eye starts twitching. "Besides, the virus reverses its effects after approximately ten minutes, if Fujimi doesn't stop it before."

That… That does calm you a bit, at least until the oddly rhythmic explosions start.

Kek, I think Jiro got Yamcha'd
Also what an interesting twist in regards to Uraraka taking care of Tin.
The three teams that were in the battle were comprised of-
Team A- Uravity, Bakugo, Deku, Tin
Team B- Pinky, Red Riot, Tentacole and Tsukuyomi.
Team C- Froppy, Sugarman, Earphone Jack and Chargebolt.
As it stands Ushi is at:
Feet--3
Guts--5
Hands--3(-1)
Face--2(-1)
Brains--2(-1)
We got 2 brains and 1 of each hands + face back from resting. We've entered the fray with worst stat lines.

I doubt Mic’d make us DQ ourself without any votes that could have prevented it though.

As the pink gas continues to thin and spread around the forest, no doubt helped by the strangely constant blasting of Bakugo, you fidget with your hair as you look at your teachers.

While Mr. Aizawa did bring up the idea of stopping the exercise, All Might's desire to see how your classmates do in this brand new survival scenario kept him from doing so.

Considering you were just told it was a Zombie Virus you think you have the right to be more than a bit nervous about what it is doing to your friends down there, thinking about what it might do to them, and what they might do to each other.

Zombies aren't known only for spreading their contagion, but also how they do it, and you have had enough nightmares about cannibals to immediately start making up scenarios in your head as your headache fades to an annoyance.

Then a CLANG! rings across the forest, loud enough for your poor hearing to catch it from your perch.

Scrambling for your phone, you quickly return to Tin's sight… And your heart skips a beat.

The main camera continues to malfunction, but the tail one is… spinning, blurry and jerking erratically all over the place as the image shifts from what looks to be the canopy from below, grass and trees.

Only when it stops you manage to piece together what happened, as Tin's tail scans its surroundings, its back and its treads.

Clinging to its back is a dirty and teary eyed Uravity, her hair blown back by the exhaust on Tins back, forming a cone of clean air that pushes the pink gas away. That brings a small smile to your face, as you hadn't thought about using Tin's olfactory system to filter air.

Tin's treads on the other hand wipe the smile off your face, as those look trashed. Not completely broken and still within the realm of rather simple repairs, but considering the damage to its armor, you can't imagine the impact that caused that to do anything less than shattering human legs into splinters…

Considering the hulking armored robot was sent tumbling away, you dread to think what did that to you friend.

>"...D-Deku!?" A line of text appears at the bottom of the screen. Uravity, you assume.

How kind of Tin to add the punctuatio-

"<JESUS H. CHRIST!>" You screech as the camera focuses on the aforementioned boy.

...Or what's left of him.

Clammy greenish gray skin that looks leathery and taut nonetheless as if stretched on the rack… emaciated and long dead, his green eyes sunken so far into his face as to look empty.

If you didn't know him or rode a bus here with him, you would have assumed he just now crawled out of his grave.

His entire right sleeve has disappeared, as if blasted from inside… But it doesn't look broken.

It takes you less than a second to put two and two together, especially as you can see the walking corpse claw at the air with enough force to shake the nearby trees and send dust clouds.

But his shambling steps are normal, no overpowering force there. Huh.
>>
With that in mind, you can understand Tin's own confusion, as the screen flashes a warning that its IFF seems to be failing. Poor fella is having a hard time figuring out what kind of threat it is and what level of force to use.

Regardless, knowing it won't last more than ten minutes does little to keep you calm when you can easily see him take a chunk of someone in a single bite.

"So… If it's no longer a battle royale and 's more of a zombie survival game now… Can Ah go back in?!" You ask, eager to help your surviving friends and classmates. "Please!?"

"Wanting to jump in and help is commendable, Young Walker!" All Might says with his trademark smile, but still shakes his head. "But you were already eliminated! Just sit back and watch!"

>"If I may make a suggestion…" Mr. Aizawa says, getting All Might's attention. "I would let her go and partake in this new experience… However, I would still grade her as being the first to be eliminated."

"...Thanks?" You hesitantly say, glancing at each of your teachers.

"I shouldn't allow it…" All Might says, but you can tell he's hesitant.

>"It's on your hands." Mr. Aizawa tells him, shrugging.

As you ponder what to do, you see a barrage of missiles fly in seemingly random directions above the forest. It doesn't really mean anything, but alongside the constant explosions, it's a reminder that it's not really just zombies.

It's zombies with pretty powerful quirks.

You want to lean forward and leap off the wall, jump down into the forest and recover your robot. You want to make sure Tin’s okay, Uravity’s safe, and get as many of your friends away from the zombie menace while the infection runs its course. You still want to chide the morons that left you behind.

While you are at it, maybe give a piece of your mind to the guy blasting biological agents at a training exercise as well. What's the deal with that!?

But… It will all be more or less over in a couple minutes, and if the missiles, explosions, and visibly wind-rending clawing are any indication, the zombies are still using their quirks.

And risking getting a giant zombie involved might be a very bad move…

...Or maybe you just really don't want to be bitten by anyone, not even in a secured exercise.

Looking at your phone again and seeing Tin being followed by your all-too-dead looking classmates, being reassured that it will last only a couple minutes doesn't really calm you down.

It's not only Deku now that is giving shambling-chase to Tin and Uravity, but Bakugo and Red Riot too. The blond zombie stumbles as the force of his rhythmic explosions threaten to topple him after every step while the redhead looks literally sharper than ever. His jerky movements look less like an articulated gait and more like his stiff limbs are cracking and breaking with forward momentum… and most unnervingly, it doesn't seem to bother him.

Pinky trudges right behind them, but considering she's mostly crawling, which seems to be instantly annihilating the grass, you don't think she's a threat. As long as she continues moving along like a slug, that is.

When Tentacole makes an appearance on-screen, you just look away. Flesh isn't supposed to act like a fluid.

It will all be over soon…

"Run. Skedaddle. Keep-away." You type into your phone, hoping for Tin to get it, steering clear from the zombies as best at it can. Then you sigh and whisper. "...You are doing great."

Tin and Uravity are kind of doing well, but you have no clue how the rest of your friends are doin-

KRAKK!!!

-Oh. Considering the sudden glacial wall in the middle of the forest, at least Shoto is still up and fighting, probably... hopefully, along with his team.

"Well, Ah hope you get down there soon enough." You tell All Might, waving your phone around a bit and showing him the feed of the undead horde chasing Tin, specifically the green haired zombie casually shattering a tree in its path into splinters with a glancing blow. "Ah've got a couple friends that need all the help that they can get."

"Is that…" All Might says worriedly before giving a cough.

"Deku? Yeah. Ah guess he couldn't punch gas away." You snarkily tell the hero.

"Oh, Young Walker..." All Might says, leaping off the wall and cracking the spot on the wall from where he once stood. "You just need to punch harder!"

After that, you no longer need to watch your phone, as the shockwaves bursting through the forest are easy to see from your and Aizawa’s perch. You do it anyway, hoping to catch a ground-level view of Japan's best in action.

You can see him land between Tin and the zombies, standing proud and probably saying something to them. But the zombies, being zombies, just shift their heading and attack him.

For an instant you worry about him, then shake it out of your head. That's silly.

He's All Might! He's as invincible as it gets!

His massive frame effortlessly weaves and bobs away from Deku's swipes before jumping back and away from the zombies, walks up to Tin, pats it and then crouches to lift it overhead.

He simply picks both Tin and Uravity up and jumps back to the wall, letting you run up to your robot friend and hug it's battered body.

"Oh you poor thing…" You say, grabbing its head and looking at the loose camera lens hanging off the cracked plating. "Mei's gonna kill me…"

>"I'm fin-" Uravity starts, with a wobbly jump off Tin's back. But she ends up falling and landing on her rear-end while her hair sticks in that blown-back look. "Nevermind… Phew."

>"I'm sorry." Tin apologises, it's childish voice making it sound like it was caught with its hand in the cookie jar. "I should have assessed the situation faster."

>"No! Don't worry, you did your best… Thank you very much Mr. Tin!" Uravity replies, sitting as she worriedly looks down at the forest. "It's just… need to rest for a minute… I hope the rest will be okay..."

Now that you have a moment to look at her, she's looking almost as white as Tin...

>"Rest, then. I doubt you'll have to worry about missing a lesson after this mess." Mr. Aizawa tells her, briefly looking in your direction before quickly turning away and glaring at something down in the forest. "Hmm?..."

Despite technically having some latex in your bloodstream, you aren't all that good at rubbernecking, quickly turning to look at Tin, now whirring as some glimmering, slimy looking tendrils crawl from within it's core-

Then quickly looking back to the forest, catching a glimpse of Creati with Grape Juice on the tip of her staff. Adhesive speartip or speared…

But, you are pretty sure Uravity is starting to tremble-

And turning again you can see one of the tendrils, fit Tin's main lens back in place, coil itself around it and then heat up, briefly glowing white as it melts and secures the part in place as the rest of the tendrils seal the battered platting and do some light readjusting on the damaged threads, all starting to spark and melt down while sealing most cracks with a soldering pattern that looks very similar to scarring.

And there's now a sparkling laser firing through the canopy.

With All Might on the case, you don't really need to worry about the survivors in the forest below. and knowing the zombies will get better… And hoping none of them can get up the wall, you walk up to the other girl atop the wall and sit, your legs dangling from the edge next to hers.

"Ya're lookin' mighty pale there, sugah. Need a bite? Ah'm sure Ah have a loaf 'round 'ere…" You tell her, patting your belt's pouches until you find the tiny block of bread, quickly enlarging it back to size with a puff of mist, opening it and offering Uravity the bag.

She does hesitantly take one slice, bringing it to her mouth and silently gnawing on the edge as she focuses on the forest below, her worried eyes jumping all around at every sign of movement.

"Oh, Did All Might tell you it'll run its course… Heh, its <curse>, in a couple minutes?..." You tell her, hoping that bit of information would help her calm down. You know you can relax better knowing your friends aren't dead or dying. "You don't need to worry 'bout the class! ...Other than the bite marks!"

And like you had cut the strings off a puppet, she slumps forwards, resting her chest on her knees as she sighs. If you did that, you would fall off the wall.

>"I… I hoped there'd be some cure… But I wasn't sure." She comments, stretching her back and sitting straight, this time taking a good bite off the bread slice before sighing again.

"Ah was already here when all went down, but Ah can imagine how scary it'd be to be down there…" You tell her, taking a slice of bread of your own.

>"Yeah…" She says, but then shakes her head. "But we were attacked before, I'm more prepared than ever to fight!... But not friends. I… wasn't ready to look to see Deku all gray… Much less attack me-us. He sent both of us flying with a slap! Aimed at me!... Didn't expect him to try and kill me."

As she speaks, she points at Tin and its bent plating. To say it would have flipped a tank with equal ease wouldn't be an exaggeration.

"Ah… can see that." You comment, nodding. "Havin' your teammates turn on ya… Ah wanna whack 'em both, but suddenly have to fight Deku… And Bakugo too!"

>"...Oh yeah, him too!" She says with a rather shallow laugh, then looks aside and scratches the back of her neck. "Sorry for such a wuss, I'll just…"

She then scoots a few inches away from you.

"A wuss? Pal, Ah saw a bunch of the fight through Tin's eyes!" You excitedly tell her, trying and failing to imitate her throw with your arms. "Ah knew y’all had good heads on ‘yer shoulders but y’all’ve gotten tough too! You did great!"
>>
>"Yeah…" She says, more calm than before but still on edge.

"Huh? You look skittish still." You point out, tilting your head. "Penny for your thoughts?"

She looks to both sides, to Tin and you, then lets out a tired sigh.

>"I just don't want to wait for the other shoe to drop." She tells you, scooting a bit further. "You are always nice, then…"

"Then?" You ask, a tad nervous yourself now.

>"...Forget it." She says, getting now a couple feet away.

I'd say we should go to Jiro.

She's got maxed face stats.
She hears lots of things so she probably has context she can clue us in on.
We have 2 RD with her so we're definitely close enough to go to her with this.
We had a whole little character arc with her about how we are both working on this exact shared character flaw.

Fuck, she takes the same train (or at least train station) home as us. Let's talk to her then.

(Also, checking back to put this together, I noticed when we called Tin our friend. We're really overdue an RD with Tin.)

I know I'm not going to win this vote, but I'm really interested in how we could fuck this up. All the stuff with Uraraka so far has been hilarious.
>>
It would be a lie to say that didn’t hurt. You can't blame Uravity for thinking you were about to start chewing on your boot, but the fact that she has a physical reaction to the prospect of it is what gets to you.

For all you know, it might have been true, that you were about to say something hurtful without realising it. It's not like you do it on purpose...

"...Okay." You say after a moment's hesitation, then ask. "...Maybe we can talk about it later?"

>"I guess so..." Uravity replies, briefly looking at you with a bit of a grimace before turning back to look at the forest.

It's not great, but it might be for the best to try and be friendly once you are sure your brain has finished settling back into place.

In the meantime, you stand up and walk over to Tin, hugging it once again, holding onto its sturdy frame for literal and a bit of emotional support. Nothing quite as reassuring as someone who’s always there and looking out for you.

You talk about how it did and how it protected Uravity despite having no idea what was going on, what was the threat, or what to attack. You reassure it of doing its best in simply protecting her and keeping her out of harm's way. Like a hero.

It wasn't a long talk though. Five minutes later, All Might had brought all of your 'surviving' classmates to the now crowded wall and hopped off the other side, to "deal with an emergency."

A couple minutes after that, the erratic missiles launches and rhythmic explosions stopped. Quickly replaced by the sounds of aimed missiles barrages, explosions, what looked like a lightning strike, a laser tearing through the canopy, and a lot... a whole lot of screaming.

>"What a huge mess… According to the files on Fujimi's quirk, all victims are left disoriented and without any memories of what happened while they were affected. It stands to reason that they would continue to fight as soon as they had recovered." Mr. Aizawa explains aloud while putting on his goggles as the once-zombies seemingly duke it out once more within the forest.

>"Having survived this surprise, should we expect an Exemplary grade?" Creati asks, one hand holding on to her staff and a gas mask of her own creation in the other. Grape Juice, still bound and gagged on the staff’s end, murmurs and wiggles in response.

>"Ask All Might later, this is not my class to grade." The teacher answers, ready to leap off the wall. "It will be difficult to evaluate , though. There's definitely merit to survival exercises. While increasingly uncommon, raids on major villain strongholds do happen and can end in disaster, leading to similar situations in terms of danger and confusion… But this was not planned and I doubt any lesson was learned. Someone failed, but it wasn't any of you."

You are taken aback by that and Creati seems just as stunned.
>>
>"I'll go stop them now before they needlessly hurt themselves. Make your way to the bus." The hero instructs before leaping off the wall.

After doing what you were told and being taken back to the school once the rest of your classmates were corralled, the day gets just a bit weirder. After changing back into your uniforms, you and your classmates find All Might and Recovery Girl in 1-A waiting at the front of the room. Between them, a large and rather fancy looking cake sits on the teacher's desk.

It's weird to see Japan's No. 1 Hero bow and apologize, but he pulls it off with an embarrassed laugh… along with the cake. The cake definitely helps. It's also a bit weird that he asks Deku to help him with cutting it and distributing the slices, but you guess he wanted to say something to the green haired kid… His kid? You still aren't sure what the relationship is, but Deku all but admitted to you and Shoto to having some connection to the hero.

With everyone enjoying the moment of respite, even Fujimi and Bakugo despite both seemingly trying to bend their forks with their teeth, you take a moment to look around the room.

While Recovery Girl didn't need to do any heavy patching today, no one dared to stop her from taking an extra slice. In fact, All Might immediately offered her his, which she's now eating while sitting in the teacher's chair. In the meantime, Mr. Aizawa is in his yellow sleeping bag and leaning on the wall next to the door, seemingly asleep. But it's hard to believe he's not alert and fully aware.

As far as your classmates go, Mineta was freed from the staff shortly following the end of the exercise. Since returning to the classroom, he’s been shifting between staring at Mina and insinuating he's owed reparations of some sort from an increasingly frustrated Momo. Your friend, for her part, tries her best to get lost in the cake's fluffy cream like Mina, the latter of which is licking the white cream covering half of her pink face from messy eating. Next to them, Kyoka, judging by the way she glares at Mineta and grips her fork, seems inches away from giving Recovery Girl some triage to complete.

Mongoose and Tsuyu certainly seem to be the happiest of the bunch following the exercise, excitedly chatting despite both of them sporting their fair share of bandages all over.

Uraraka seems a lot happier now too, chatting with Deku and Iida and messing around, even imitating Deku's zombie expression, much to his embarrassment. If she's joking or teasing you can't quite tell, but he seems to take it well, laughing along with her, even if he does it, like most things, a tad nervously.
>>
Lastly, Tin is scooting around atop your desk, seemingly enjoying the party hat and blue ribbon All Might brought for it.

"For a hard working partner, as deserving of an apology as anyone else, that I'm also pretty sure can't eat cake!" All Might said when you asked. "If there's one lesson that can't be learned too early, it's to take good care of your sidekicks."

>What do you do?

>[You should wait for her to go home and follow Uraraka to the train station, to talk. "...Howdy."]

Thing is, Tin doesn't have pleasure centers of the brain that taste would connect to. I'm all for nurturing Tin as best we can, I just don't think taste receptors would do much for it. And I'm not super comfortable with manually adjusting Tin's desires to make it like acquiring sugar, salt, and fat.

Beaming a proud smile at your seemingly self-welding robot, you choose to leave it be and celebrate in its own way while you eat and chat with a few of your friends.

>"...if greaf!" You hear Mina comment through a mouthful of cake, the white cream sliding down her chin and falling back onto her plate. By the look of it, she would have gotten to this same point faster if she had just slammed her face on to the confection.

"Wew, ya makin' it look like, you know..." You comment as you approach, taking a forkful of cake into your mouth. "Oh, it is pretty good."

Sweet and soft enough that the cream melts between your tongue and palate.

>"Oh, I know..." Mineta comments with a sly smile.

"Like she's tryin' to wash down medicine?" You ask, raising an eyebrow at the strange smugness radiating off him.

>"Dirft!" Mina corrects you, a look of pain flashing behind her eyes as she says it while putting her fork down. It vanishes as quickly as it appeared, covered by a joyful smile as she raises her outstretched arms and imitates a zombie. "I gotta wash out the taste of acid mud! Turns out being a zombie and going all ARGHH!!! makes you kinda invincible! ...But it doesn't help when you turn back and have a belly full of dirt. That has to go out and it is NOT nice."

>"Ashido, please." Momo says, putting down her own fork and plate and shooting a quick glare at Mineta before turning her gaze down. She looks as worn-out as she sounds, ready to call it a day and go to bed. "...Don't you think we are dealing with enough
nauseation for a single meal?"

>"With the imp present we could start talking about raw sewage and it wouldn't get any worse." Kyoka points out, making no effort to hide her contempt.

>"Hey, don't act like I'm the bad guy here! She used me as the tip of her trash picker!" Mineta whines, raising his grabby little hands in front of his face, as if in despair. You can't even pretend to believe it to be genuine. His enduring lecherous expression doesn't help his case. "I'm just saying that Yaoyorozu should make up for it."

>"You weren't the tip, just the first piece of trash. Now get lost." Kyoka tells him matter-of-factly just as one of her jacks extends to poke him between the eyes; an almost explicit 'or else'. "And be glad she didn't turn on the electric current."

>"Yeesh. Relax, I don't even want anything with you." He responds as he walks away, looking at the girls over his shoulder. "Bag of bones..."

Kyoka glares at the boy's back for a couple seconds, face scrunched in rage… then deflates, her shoulders plainly slouching. She sits on Momo's desk and grabs her own plate, and immediately shovels a towering forkful of cake into her mouth.

As an awkward silence starts to set in, you try to get a word in.

"So… how did the apocalypse treat ya? Nice spear by the way, Ah reckon usin' it had to feel mighty nice… Nice cake too. It's like… too fluffy? Ah wonder how that happens." You blurt out an array of segues before raising your own plate and stuffing your face as well.

The three girls share a glance, then look at you. Both Kyoka and Momo look surprised, the latter maybe even shocked. But it's the smug smile that Mina gives you that sends a familiar shiver down your spine.

>"Oh." Mina says, leaning closer to your face, then looking down your neck before looking up to your eyes again. "...Really? You of all people?"

"Well… Ah don't really do bakin' all that much…or all that well..." You sheepishly answer, tapping your fingertips together. " Ah'd rather keep mahself busy with pans, pots, and grills actually. So... it's some sort of well-known baking technique then?"

>"Oh, you know, it's all in the ingredients…" Mina trails off, as if winding up for a punchline or something...

>"Well, it's okay to not know things that fall outside your area of expertise and interests!" Momo loudly declares while glaring at Mina. The sudden interjection sounding rather unlike herself and definitely much more energetic than she was minutes ago. "After all, baking can hurt. Burns, smoke, malfunctioning appliances and the like, not to mention all the vile concoctions you can accidentally make!"

>"But-" Mina starts to say something, but stops as Momo’s glare continues. "Fine... as for the apocalypse, I breathed in pink gas, and I really didn't think it'd be bad! Then I think I crawled around… Ate a bunch of dirt… and then I just kind of woke up feeling sick and threw up."

>"Recovery Girl healed it up, but I still feel my ears ringing from Bakugo's trap." Kyoka says, sticking a pinky in her ear and wincing immediately. You aren't sure what she was expecting. "Bastard caught me listening through a rock and blew it up while I was jacked in. I'm kinda surprised it didn't do anything permanent."

>"I was faced with the ethical dilemma of whether I would need to put an end to those that were my friends and classmates in order to protect those who were still healthy, or letting them be and risk infection with only the hope it was either temporary or there was a cure available to stay my hand." Momo says, back in a calm but drained state, while taking another tired bite of cake.

"...Y'all makin' mah kick to the face sound like a gay old time." You tell them, trying to keep the gloom from getting worse.

>"It does sound nice." Momo says, looking at you and sighing.

You aren’t sure how to respond to that immediately. As silence starts to settle over the group once more, you don't try to break it. Instead you just take a seat on Momo's desk next to Kyoka and smile.

In keeping them company you manage to get a few minutes of small talk, even a couple of giggles before the bell rings. As everyone prepares to head home, you take Tin and fit it snuggly into its pouch in your backpack and head to the train station.

With no other stations near the hills the school sits on top of, it's no surprise to see so many of the other students of the hero course here, all waiting for a train to take them near their homes. You know Pony and Iida usually jog home and Bakugo often walks off to somewhere, but for most the train is the way to go.

Amongst all the familiar faces, Uraraka's round face is the one that catches your attention, as she enjoys a couple Pocky wrapped in a piece of paper. Not a full box, so probably someone shared them with her.

You want to go and talk with her, make amends but you aren't sure how to start. Isn't it more likely that you'll open your mouth and immediately make things worse?

Instead of walking towards her and spilling your guts like overcooked pasta, you head towards another one of your friends present, a certain purple haired girl sitting on a bench, hugging her backpack and nodding, no doubt in tune with the music in her headphones.

"Howdy." You say, sitting besides her once again. You could say more, but you prefer to wait for her to start listening to you instead of repeating yourself in a minute.

>"'sup." Kyoka greets you back, freeing up one of her ears. "Gonna go train hard today or is it more a soak and rest day, Ushi?" Another nice thing about the station being mostly full with people you either know or have seen is that very few people turn to look at you when your name is used and usually far fewer lingering stares.

It is a pleasant surprise that Kyoka knows your routines rather well and it reassures you about coming to her today.

"Eh, one first, the other later." You answer with a shaky smile, then sigh. "Sorry to bother, but Ah need sum help."

>"If it's for the train fare, I can cover it." She says, flashing a train fare card similar to your own.

"Nah, it's not that…" You tell her, waving your arms in front of yourself a bit too much, making your nervousness fairly obvious to her. "It's 'bout Uraraka… and that stuff we talked about before. Ah think Ah've been mean to her a few too many times. She pretty much told me so earlier… Thought you'd know what to do! A few things to say?"

>"...Let me guess, foot in mouth?" She asks, and you nod. "Yeah, you are more blunt than mean… Okay. I'll assume you've tried to help her and she balked at it."

"...'yuup." You answer, thinking back to trying to give her some leftovers.

>"Yeah, you kinda act like… Uhm." She pauses for a second, one of her jacks tapping her chin. "Well, you have a strong personality."

"Thanks!" You say with a proud smile that quickly vanishes when you realize it's more an observation than a compliment. "...So, any ideas?"
>>
>"First ask what bothered her. Then, if you feel like you have to, apologize. Maybe you won't need to apologize at all." Kyoka says with a shrug. "If you do try to apologize… Try to keep in mind what she feels?"

She notices you tilting your head at that last bit and speaks up again before you can comment.

>"Sorry, it's not the kind of stuff you really learn in a book or think you have to explain. I'm trying my best here." Kyoka continues. "Hope it helps."

"Sure does." You tell her, throwing an arm over her shoulders and pulling her in for a surprise half-hug.

>"Glad to have something to offer." She replies, not fighting you or pushing you away at all, just leaning into the hug for a minute or two.

But you aren't exactly neighbors, so you part ways soon enough, her to her home to review some notes and rest up, and you to potentially gather some more concussions at the dojo.

It won't be long before you can get another stripe on your mask, but even as you bite the mat, you still have Uraraka in the back of your mind.

Later, after making your way back to the house, taking a bath and turning in for the night, you lay on your bed in your pajamas. Actual pajamas these days, as walking around in an oversized shirt and panties is no longer appropriate with Angus and your uncle around), thinking about what to do.

We could impale moonfish with tree javelins, safe and easy ranged solution. As for dealing with Dabi I think when Shoto sees that his older brother is threatening his 10-25ft (optimal combat height) tall waifu I think he'll freeze half of the entire woods in sheer anger. We could also use surface area manipulation and sudden surges of growth to create wind gusts to counter the flames. While Dabi's flames burn incredibly hot unlike Endeavor he can't shoot them in pressurized bursts, making them incredibly weak to gusts of wind, resembling more of a standard flamethrower rather the all-incinerating rocket engines that his father has. But in all seriousness there will be bloodshed. When Ushi's out in the field she is professional but an unprovoked attack in the woods is way too far. USJ was a bunch of low-quality plot contrivance fodder goons with only 2 people and a Nomu that were actually legitimately posing a risk to the lives of aspiring heroes. We've already seen the Cow's anger at her loved ones being threatened begin to build in training exercises, this would be the logical point for her to completely snap and start enlarging people's bones until they exploded out of them.

I'm hoping for an army of giants episode.

Tin. Kirishima. Deku. Tetsutetsu. Sato. Mina. Probably Ibara. Just some of the extremely synergistic giants. And that's not including our ability to enlarge the things controlled by players like Pony or Vlad or Koda.

With your training at the Todoroki household taking place on Mondays and the Dojo's training on Wednesdays, your Thursdays are more or less free, allowing you to truly rest after school and play with Angus for a bit. Hoping to share a hobby, you dust off an old console you brought with you to Japan so he may have something to do when he's alone.

The real obstacle in that was not annihilating him in the virtual arena, as he always took a second to look at the buttons before attempting any sort of action. It was hard to pretend he was a challenge, but the frustration of holding back was tempered by Angus’s gasps of delight every time he discovered (by accident or on purpose, it was hard to tell) a new combo.

Spending some time polishing Tin's welding marks that evening was nice too, as you got a chance to look at the changelog of your friend’s hardware and software… If you could really call it that.

"Extra plating added... Sure, Ah reckon that makes sense, it was quite a beating..." You read from a greasy piece of paper that Mei left inside Tin on its last visit. "And Ah can guess what Welding Wires are now… But what the heck's up with this documentation? There's no comments at all! Where's the extra plating? Where's them wires connected to!? <GIMME A DANG CIRCUIT DIAGRAM AT LEAST!?>"

>"Please calm down, Mistress." Tin pleaded, patting your arm as you seethed at your desk. "I would hate to see you get in a fight with Mamma."

"First off, it wouldn't be too much of a fight." You told it, patting its tiny head with your finger. Its chassis bouncing slightly to compensate everytime you apply pressure and release. "Second… Fine. For you. But Ah'm gettin' her to leave some notes next time we see her."

Later that night you also spoke with your mother, asking for some advice.

>"Want me to tell ya one thing I've learnt in America, hun?" She told you after you told her of your intentions to talk to Uraraka.

"'yuup!" You answered, obviously interested in any advice you could get.

>"Approach her. You gotta get close to her on her grounds. Don't try to tell her about your life or stuff that would make you feel better, this is for her after all" She tells you, crossing her arms. "I've always hated that. Try to put yourself in her slippers, and if ya can't… Asking what's on her mind will do less harm than makin' a fool of yourself."

Come Friday, it Momma's and Kyoka's words that were at the forefront of your mind.
It would take some big news to distract you from that…

The notes Mr. Aizawa leaves for you and Momo only said to have everyone at their seats at the start of the Homeroom period for an announcement, which you accomplish without much issue.
>>
However the lack of detail does pique your curiosity as the class representatives usually get a snippet of information for context with the Homeroom notes. Not knowing what's coming, it's bound to be either a nice surprise or another poorly thought-out activity to try to desensitize you to mortal danger.

Fifty-fifty odds, really.

The entire class waits with bated breath as the disheveled man you call your teacher strides towards his desk, sets down a stack of papers and calmly starts flipping through them, stopping a couple of pages in with an annoyed grunt.

>"So, vacation is close at hand." He starts without taking his eyes off the papers, sounding more dispirited than normal. As if annoyed by the very prospect of vacations. "Of course, it would be irrational as heroes in training to let all of you take an entire month off."

"Aw…" You whimper, you didn't think the school break was so soon!.. and apparently, it just won't be now.

>"No way…" Denki mutters, leaning over the top of his desk and looking around the class, clearly excited.

You aren't sure what he is so peppy about, you all just got your vacation cruelly taken away from you…

>"Instead, you'll be participating in a training camp in the countryside." The teacher continues, finally looking up at the class.

>"Called it!" Denki yells, jumping out of his seat and starting a commotion. Most of your classmates start throwing ideas around, energized by the trip’s potential in entertainment.

>"Oooh! More truth or dare!" Mina says, throwing her hand in the air.

>"BATH-HOUSES!!" Mineta yells shamelessly, making you wonder if he ever had any to begin with.

>"We could launch fireworks, ribbit." Tsuyu suggests. You could get on board with that!

>"OPEN-AIR BATH-HOUSES!!!" Mineta continues, thankfully being ignored by everyone else.

While he's normally quick to call for silence, this time Mr. Aizawa just continues his explanation as your classmates nearly drown him out by ardently listing fun activities to do on the trip… and in Mineta's case, yelling more about hot springs.

>"Since we'll be out in nature, it stands to reason that your training regimens will need to adapt." The teacher continues, finally raising his voice to be heard but not sounding anymore invested than with any other announcement.

>"So it's going to test our ability to adapt and make the right decisions regardless of environment…" Deku loudly muses. "Cool!"

>"All of us living together?! I'm PUMPED!!" Kirishima says, looking around the classroom with a sincere and eager smile on his face.

>"HOT SPRINGS!" Mineta chants.

>"...However." Your teacher pauses, commanding everyone to quiet down with but a threatening glare. He follows it with an equally menacing warning.. "...Anyone that doesn't pass the upcoming exams, is in for remedial school hell, right here."

"...Why does he sound more invested in that than the retreat?" You wonder aloud, slightly perturbed.
>>
>"Considering everything that has happened this trimester, that should not be a surprise." Shoto answers without missing a beat, earning a snort and a suspicious stare from you.

You are never sure when he's trying to be funny, but the deadpan delivery of his remarks often get a reaction out of you.

>"DO YOUR BEST, GUYS!!!" Kirishima yells, raising his fist up high, his earnest expression making it look pretty inspiring-

>"DO YOUR BEST, GIRLS!!!!" Mineta yells right after, sapping enough of your motivation to briefly make you wonder if eating your exams to not have to sleep near him would be a good idea.

As you slump on your desk, a gentle hand pats your back from behind, the impacts being cushioned by your messy hair yet appreciated nonetheless.

>"I'm sure you'll do well." Momo says, either running her fingers through your hair or trying to free the appendage from the tangled mess, you aren't sure. "You grasp concepts quickly and pour yourself into everything you do."

>"Lord Tenjin won't let you miss out." Mineta says, looking back over his shoulder. "I'll sure pray for it."

You look at your other neighbors in confusion at that, not having a clue of what that means.

Momo looks surprised, startled even, while Shoto glares at the short boy and the window doesn't say a thing.

>"Well… That's the kami patron of cows." Momo mutters, looking away.

>"And of scholars. And exam-taking students… And if I recall correctly, job seekers as well." Shoto finishes, tying the remark to more than just your name. "It would not be inappropriate to offer a prayer or make an offering to him."

"...Gettin' too close to idolatry for mah taste, but okay. You do you." You say, nodding slowly yet still suspicious.

>"So you'd be willing to help with an offering, eh?" Mineta asks, his tone all but confirming to you that it's some sort of trap, even if you don't know it.

>"No!" Both Momo and Shoto answer for you.

It'd bother you if it was anyone else, but you trust them both to look out for you.

"...What is it this time?" You ask, keeping yourself from rolling your eyes out of fear of unscrewing them completely and having them fall off. You may not know what he's trying now, but it's becoming ever harder to be positive about Mineta's… anything.

>"The traditional offering to Lord Tenjin is to rub a cow and be granted wisdom." Shoto explains as Momo pulls her hand back.

>"C'mon Walker, you don't want your classmates to fail, don't you?" Mineta then asks, but you are pretty sure not even he is convinced by his guilt tripping attempt.

Again, you don't need to answer, as another one of your classmates intervenes.

>"Hey! Stop acting so freaking retarded!" Bakugo shouts, looking over his shoulder and placing a hand on Deku's shoulder, pulling him out of the way and almost throwing him off his seat so he can yell at the back of the class. "Almost every no-name NPC out there would have gotten themselves killed or expelled by now with all the crap we have been put through! But everyone here is at least a supporting character and have stuck around! Luck and providence have nothing to do with any of this, just you all doing well enough to stay in my classroom!"

Yet another thing you aren't sure how to react to... But you are still stuck processing the prospect of being gropped for academic purposes.

In fact, you are still wondering about that when lunch break starts and a new kind of frantic energy starts spreading across the classroom.

>"...Oh no… I'VE NOT STUDIED ANYTHING!" Denki yells as soon as the teacher leaves the room, as if the realisation that there's something in between him and vacations just hit him.

Mina, next to him, just laughs nervously.

>"Between the internship and the sports festival and all these weird exercises just studying totally slipped my mind!!" He laments, holding his head in despair.

>"Don't forget that there's also going to be a practical exam!" Mineta taunts them both, propping his head with his fist and conveying more smugness than should be able to fit in a body that small.

It's not that he has any reason to be worried about the exams, written at least. He's been able to get good grades without studying… It'd be amazing to see what he could do if he used his brain more.

>"How could you!" Mina accuses him, pointing and all. "We thought you were one of us, the lovable idiots!"

"Nope." Despite having no horse in this race, you like both Denki and Mina too much to let them share a label with him.

>"Your personality is only likeable when you are innocently clueless!" Denki decries him, sounding sincerely hurt. "No one will like you like this."

>"I'm used to it." Mineta replies, their accusations bothering him little, if at all.

>"C'mon guys, you just have to do your best!" Deku offers his words of encouragement as he walks besides them towards the door, his bright, hopeful expression a stark contrast to Kaminari's visage of doom. "We'll all have a great time at the retreat!"

>"Indeed!" Iida… confirms, not adding much to the conversation.

Next to you, Shoto doesn't seem very sympathetic to their plight.

>"You attended all classes, that should be enough even without further studying." He comments, then asks. "How can you possibly fail?"

>"Why don't you all just save your words and stab me properly!?" Denki laments, clutching his chest as if wounded. "Words hurt, ya know?"

Behind you however, Momo holds a hand over her heart.

>"If you two need help, I could lend a hand." She says with a warm smile.

>"Woo! Momo!" Mina immediately celebrates her deliverance, raising her hands up in the air and cheering.

The class president doesn't stop there however, as she makes an open offer.

>"In fact, I extend the same offer to anyone who needs it." She says, looking around at those still in the room. "Academics or otherwise, I'd be glad to lend a helping hand."

The offer sounds earnest, and the delivery is solid… But when Kyoka approaches her to ask for help with math and Sero comes to ask her if she could help him with his kanji, it becomes clear she wasn't expecting anyone to actually take her up on her offer.

Tall, elegant and eloquent, it only took four people joining her new study group and their sincere thanks to leave her blushing and muttering.

And she looks adorable.

>"May I count on your company as well, Walker?" She then asks, turning to face you with rosy cheeks. "It would be nice to study alongside you once more… I-If you'd like, that's it."

I know Momo is just being cute because she wants to help everyone but does someone else feel strange how...close. She and Ushi are of one another?
>>
>>4446373
I know what you mean, but Ushi is also pretty much her only friend she has outside of school. Could reasonably be entirely platonic.

Also, come on: Ushi is a big, loveable goober who can make man-sized gummy bears. She is going to get invited to almost everything.
>>
>>4446550
If the gummy bear remained dense enough to eat than if Momo made a gold bar and Ushi enlarged it, could that gold be then melted down into more gold bars which in turn could be enlarged again? Why has nobody acknowledged that has Momo has an unlimited money exploit that could be brought to even greater heights of brokenness when combined with Ushi's power. I mean granted nobody in 1-A save for Mineta and Bakugo are very materialistic but, having such a large amount of reserve funds could be useful.
>>
>>4446571
It could also be very illegal. We've brought this up in previous threads about asking our Pa or Powerloader to clarify the legality of quirking rare materials into existence, we just haven't done it yet. It's an important issue since it can turn inadvertently turn the Walker Family bloodline into a strategic resource if we embrace it and bring all the bureaucratic red tape that comes with it.
>>
>>4446571
As I recall they actually did acknowledge it between each other once. When they went out shopping, Momo made a joke about how their Quirks are such a danger to the economy that it's karmic balance for them to actually go out and purchase things.

One of the things I've been thinking of is working with Momo, Mei and Ochako in order to covertly get a projected energy weapon array into space. Modern laser technology is capable of producing handheld devices that can project beams capable of burning through wood. There are likely a few different archeotech, military-grade laser arrays that were intended for use in mass-produced handheld laser weapons that can no longer be manufactured, since the scientific understanding of how they were produced was lost during the dark age that followed.
Thankfully the designs for these weapons likely still exist and with them Momo can bullshit the ancient components into existence. With these components Mei could construct build a miniature weapon satellite, which we would then enlarge to full size, magnifying the potency of it's weapon massively.
Getting it into space would be as simple as Ochoko touching it. Since there is no rocket engine launching the satellite into the outer atmosphere at the speed of sound the Japanese government would have no idea that it exists, since there would be no readings to indicate the launch of the satellite.
The precision of the weapon would be unmatched, by getting on the phone and telling Mei to doump et we could target an vaporize any Villain that proved themselves a dire enough threat to justify the weapon's use with almost no collateral damage.
We could reduce Shiggy to ash from orbit when he's in the middle of his speech and punch a hole the size of a car right through Giga's back. By rigging the Satellite with a self destruct code we could detonate it, causing it's remnants to burn up in the earth's atmosphere.
Ushi and Co. could privately produce, deploy and use a weapon that has the lethality of a nuclear weapon with the accuracy and control of a regular gun that is designed to destroy all evidence of it's existence once it's served it's purpose. We could then claim our title as the most American American to ever live, a blonde, burger-eating, big tiddy cow girl who used a recreational McIonCannon® to defend property.

Sorry about that, I was just getting caught up in the spirit of the holiday and my mind drifted to Ancap PMC super weapons.

I like orbital laser canons as much as the next guy, but an unannounced, armed satellite launched from Japan would be, uh, probably a major diplomatic incident with every government with a space program? I know there’s no launch to hear but it’s still visible on telescope and by neighboring satellites. They need to be able to communicate with other satellites to not smash into each other too.

We’re getting away with a LOT by being allowed to cart a combat-capable robot around with us to, like, class and the mall.

>>4446571
Just making more plating for Tin, for our own personal use, on campus where we are allowed to use our quirk freely, is pretty borderline. Let’s be glad we can get away with what we have.

>>4446373
Just gals bein’ pals! Unless we get chocolate on white day or whatever the tradition was.
>>
>>4447179
Perfect solution, we keep it shrunken down in our pocket until shit gets bad. When need to use it we find Ochako, toss it up until it's high enough to use and self destruct it before anyone notices. It won't be an international incident if the satellite is only up for a few minutes or so. It's not like they can find out who did it since it will be gone before anyone notices. Plus in an emergency situation Ochako won't ask any of the pesky questions that would be associated with giving it a long-term stable orbit such as "What is this?", "Don't you need a permit or something to launch something into space?, "Hatsume is pretty much a rocket scientist, why do you need to use my quirk?" and things of that nature.
>>
>>4447252
Why even bother with a laser satellite? Any instance in which we spontaneously need to blow something up, we're probably close enough we could do it personally. No need for remote targeting, just give Ushi a gun.
>>
>>4447263
If you are up to date with the manga you would know why we need a long range delet button that can incinerate regenerators.
>>
>>4447320
I know about Shigaraki's eventually power-up. I'm just wondering why we need a satellite to shoot at him. Why not just have Ushi hold the gun herself? Ushi would still have plenty of range on account of being a tall firing platform. No need to loft the gun all the way into space.

Although, if the plot isn't derailed and the current arc in the manga happens, I think it would be more interesting to see Ushi fight Gigantomachia. Grow to full size, tackle him alongside Mount Lady, shrink him down as they wrestle with him. Go ahead, Machia, grow all you want. Won't do you any good.
>>
>>4446373
Yes.
>>
>>4447456
He could survive a 100% Smash, a point-blank Bakugo explosion and Prominence Burn back-to-back in quick succession. I don't think simple bullets would work, I'm not even sure a perfect headshot would off him. I'm half convinced his grey matter would start moving like inchworms and start pacing itself back together. This is all assuming we can even hit him with his upgraded neet-speed. A controlled, area of effect weapon that could vaporize a human being faster than you can blink is the only way we can be sure. Alternatively we could deploy kinetic bombardment rods with built in maneuvering systems, cutting out the need for Momo entirely since a small chuck of titanium with some thrusters on it is brain-dead easy to make, but then they would have to be enlarged enough to destroy Shiggy's entire body and at that size the blast radius would be very large, putting others at risk.
If we got them in the air early enough it would be great for dealing with Giga, we could toss a few dozen rods into space and hammer the big guy into a pulp.
>>
>>4448174
>I don't think simple bullets would work, I'm not even sure a perfect headshot would off him.
I'm using "gun" in the more abstract sense of "ranged weapon". Not specifically a projectile propelled by a chemical explosion. I'm just saying that there's no need to get the laser, or particle beam, or railgun, or whatever all the way into space. Even if a giant Ushi manually aiming and firing it is not viable for whatever reason, putting it in space is still excessive. Lower atmosphere at most, that should get the necessary firing angle.
>>
>>4448362
Understood. The space angle is so that we could fire at Shiggy from above, minimizing collatera,l but considering anywhere Super Shiggy walks will be a crater anyway we might as well get a big weapon to brace on our shoulder.
>>
Is it wrong of me to think that the powerups that Shiggy got were kind of absolute bullshit in terms of power level?
>>
>>4449509
What I mean is, I think it's one of those scenarios of making a villain too stupidly powerful. Then you have to actually be super creative about how they're defeated. But, the more likely scenario is almost always making the protagonist even more stupidly powerful through some bullshit.
>>
>>4449510
I feel like it was inevitable. Izuku has the strongest single Quirk in the world, then got another six strong Quirks added on top of it (even if he's only unlocked two so far). If you don't give Shigaraki a ridiculous power boost of his own, how are you going to have any dramatic tension? Of course, that just leads to an arms race starting between the two of them, where they both have dueling "I must master this power I have inherited" arcs. So it's kind of a given that it's going to go into your typical shonen late-series death spiral.
>>
>>4449532
Yeah, that's also what I was getting at.
If that multi quirk crap hadn't been pulled, there wouldn't be a need for this sort of super escalation. Plus, he's practically invincible now. How can he lose when he dust entire buildings and their surroundings. It's only a matter of time until he learns how to remote dust people thanks to Search.
>>
>>4449804
I think the current arc of the manga will be the final piece of material that this quest will adapt. I have a strong suspicion that we will look back on this current arc of MHA and the ones before it in the same way we look at Naruto pre-shippuden, a pretty good series that slowly degraded into an MC wank asspull fest that continues to introduce meaningless antagonists out of thin air to compete with the power scaling.. I think, excluding Shiggy, AfO and Re-Destro are the only characters that could reasonably pose a threat to Deku and that's assuming he never reaches or surpasses prime All Might.
>>
Mha allways ran into the assumption that Deku would be the greatest. It’s in the introduction.
>>
>>4449869
gigantomachia could still pose a threat to deku, and if not to him directly, to the environment that hes obligated to protect. however big G is going to be relegated to team suppression, which isnt bad on its own. also its possible to introduce other villains or even antagonists that are a threat to deku, despite his scale of power. but it would require build up that would drag on the series thats already dragging its feet.
>>
>>4449944
No, actually. The introduction says he'll become a great hero. Not "literally the strongest thing in the world, so strong that any other character even coming close to his strength feels completely implausible because their Quirk hasn't been marinating in power boosts for a hundred and fifty years".
>>
>>4449944
The becoming the greatest hero doesn't necessarily mean becoming the strongest thing to ever live, just like becoming the Hokage didn't mean becoming Ninja Jesus and fighting space god, these positions are both based on public relations as much as performance, that's why Bakugo will be forever trapped in the #2 or #3 spot, he has the Fujo appeal to keep his popularity going strong and the results to back up his success but he doesn't have the charisma to go all the way.

The reason Hawks shot up to #2 instantly is because he satisfied the degenerate fujo market while simultaneously appealing to the average person with his simple down-to-earth perspective. Bird boy merely standing next to Endeavor causes every fujo with an internet connection to coom, schizophrenicly imagining the bara-twink dynamic between them.

You highly underestimate just how important a role Fujos play in the top 10 ranking. Do you know why no female heroes have ever been in the top 3 during the entire course of the series? Do you know how Best Jeanist was able to maintain his ranking despite being crippled? It was the Fujos, their insatiable thirst for gay fuck bois drives the entire market. When the boomers of the safety commission go through social media to determine how popularity of each hero the mentally ill twitter stanning of the fujos comes out on top. Hawks would be #1 if Endeavor's numbers weren't so insanely good.

Everything you see in the MHA community will likely be mirrored in-universe. Bakugo rape doujins probably already exist and will only become more common as he gets more popular, Kachan kiss my girlfriend will become frequently posted with Deku's behavior in interviews alongside Bakugo have him be labeled a cuck, etc.. The cancer will likely be even more intense since all of this is actually real and both male and female idol culture has a long and distinguished history of mentally ill fucktards spamming shit on the internet.

I'm honestly really interested to learn more about the dynamic between heroes and consumers, we only really get to see the fighting and training when there is so many other factors involved in the career of pro heroes that we don't really get to see.
>>
>>4450354
Kek. Hori's original plan was to end the series with Bakugo inheriting OFA from Deku. Knowing Hori, they'll end up sharing the #1 spot as the Symbol of Peace and the Symbol of Victory.
>>
>>4450354
Despite the memes there's more Deku rape doujins than Bakugo rape doujins. Deku's #1 in that regard.

Unlike Denki and Mina, you aren't too worried about the upcoming exams. Reading your notebooks for a few hours each week to keep your memory fresh means it shouldn't take you more than putting your shoulder to the wheel this last week to ace the written exams. For the practical one though… You feel like you need to merely keep up your routine.

"Count me in, sugah!" You answer, raising your arm, rolling up your sleeve, and posing with your arm flexed. You don't intend to show off your gains, but evoking that old war-poster always makes you feel like ‘you can do it’, whatever it happens to be.

>"Then it's settled! You can all rest assured, these exams will not keep you from the retreat!" Momo announces lifting her arms over her head, almost glowing with excitement.

You spend lunch time coordinating with your new study group, making sure everyone knows where to go this Sunday and what to bring. You also spare a minute to check on Shoto, who’s sharing a table with Deku, Iida, Uraraka and some others. It's good to see him hanging out with other people too. You sit next to him almost all day long after all.

In contrast to the morning’s announcement, the rest of your school day was uneventful. As in, it took for the clock to hit 16:10 and your teacher to leave for stuff to happen.

>"Hey, DEKU! I don't care that you are starting to get a handle on that meat-grinder of a quirk, just cut that shit out. You don't get to prop yourself up with my techniques!" Bakugo barks as he walks to the room's large entrance, addressing the green haired boy with nothing but derision. He stops at the doorframe and turns for one last taunt. "Try to drag yourself out of that hole I threw you into at the Sports Festival as much as you want. Now that grades are going to be put to paper… I'll crush you, and you won't be able to ignore the chasm between us anymore."

You really don't think he’s ignored it. Deku made a valiant effort to use what he knew of martial arts to work around his self-destructive quirk and Bakugo's sheer power back during the Sports Festival. He even managed to not run out of fingers to break while getting the blond boy into a lock and trying to choke him… Only to be dragged around the arena as Bakugo showed little regard for his own well-being by blasting both of them across the concrete, Deku's back taking the brunt of the force.

"...Oh! He must mean the maneuvering you did back during the rescue race!" Uraraka helpfully clarifies.

While Deku stands there sweating bullets, scratching at the bandages on his arm and not saying a word, you just roll your eyes.

"There ain’t much of a chasm, is there?" You remark as you pick up your stuff from your desk after securing Tin. "Kid fought Stain and lived to tell the tale, already has a better hold on his quirk and is pickin' up more stuff as he goes. Not like he needs your permission to nick a couple moves anyway… Heck, you should be proud that he's takin' note of your flyin'!"

>"Don't you start shit-talking now!" Bakugo growls, turning to face and point at you. "I won't rest until I've taken my place at the top and that means climbing on top of you too… You more than anyone else here."

"Sure, feel free to try." You tell Bakugo with a shrug and return to packing, making a point of not giving him any more attention. Although internally you are really looking forward to the challenge.

While still not the best at interpersonal relationships, you have made a point to try and improve. However, it doesn't take much to be better than the bundle of issues, rage and duct tape that's currently declaring war on you. You could fire back and start a shouting match, sure, but that wouldn't help anyone. Besides, you enjoyed going to smash scrap with him, so you'd rather not antagonize him for no reason. There'll be plenty of smug taunting to be done when everyone has their grades.

Seeing you not giving him the time of day, the boy storms off, slamming the sliding door behind him hard enough for it to bounce back open.

>"Damn. I think we had a good streak going too." Kirishima comments. "Man, I need to keep track of how long he goes without one of those outbursts."

>"He really must hate Midoriya… Or does he fear him?" Fumikage chirps from his seat, speaking slowly in a clear effort to sound ominous.

>"And wants to get on top of Walker." Mineta adds. "Can't bla-"

WHAP!

It's not an heroic sentiment, and you are still reluctant to raise a hand against him, but you are pleased to see Tsuyu's tongue slap him from across the room.

>"Air's heavy enough." The froggy girl rebukes as soon as her tongue returns to her mouth. It still amazes you that it gives her no trouble while speaking. "No need to add lewd comments, ribbit."

Thankfully, that was the last interesting bit before the weekend.

Your Saturday was far more exciting but in a good way! Even if your ego still hurt the following day. Giving Pony a sample plate of Japanese nightlife was a blast, even if you were along for the ride almost as much as Pony herself.

The celebration began with teatime atop Tokyo Tower. Watching the sunset wash the megalopolis in orange was a great way to connect a bit to the old Japan Pony’s animes had shown her. From there, you transitioned to what your Class B friends had planned.

After nightfall, the massive arcade known as Joyland continues to operate, shifting from a family friendly park to a… Still family friendly but more teen oriented park, a place where you could get a wall sized screen to play your shooters for as long as you could afford it.

It was there that Commander Pony led her digital forces in the LAN lobby to crush every single one of you and even some park regulars that challenged her too. She was not only fast on her hooves in countering her opposition, her APM was beyond scary. How can you compete with someone that rushed through an entire tech tree in the time it took you to read about the first half? Still you tried to be a good sport and went along with it without demanding rematches, even if getting your rear handed to you at any videogame still hurt.

The night closed with a visit to a "Macho Café"... Or at least, that's what you feared as Tokage led the group to the final stop. Instead, it was a Butler Café. Oddly enough, the fancy decor didn't make you think immediately of luxury, but surprisingly reminded you a lot of Momo's home.

While uncomfortable at first, you quickly settled and got used to both the cute boys in suits catering to your every need as well as you being called Your Majesty along with the other girls in the party... Unlike the boys. Tetsutetsu looked so unnerved it was just funny to watch him the entire visit. Monoma on the other hand, looked like he belonged amongst the butlers which Itsuka made sure to point out.

On Sunday, you prepared early to join up with your classmates as you had all agreed to do, in front of familiar gates in Aichi.

>"Uhm… Are you sure this is the place?" Kaminari asked as he, Mina, Sero and Kyoka arrived in front of Momo's home.

>"No way…" Sero muttered, looking around and checking if it was the right address. "I don't want to end up bothering the french ambassador or something…"

"Nope!" You tell them as you confidently ring the bell. Not being your first rodeo coming to study with Momo, you aren't as awestruck into doubt by the mansion. The iron plaque that says Yaoyorozu besides the entrance also helps. "This's the place! Why'd ya think Ah clean'd up this much?"

>"...Does a cute girl need a reason to wear a cute dress?" Kaminari asks, making a great effort to keep from staring at your cleavage... and not quite succeeding. He only manages to get you to roll your eyes.

Knowing you were coming to the fanciest place you know of, you made sure to fit in, wearing the outfit Momo bought you weeks ago. It's fancy, it's comfy and it makes you feel pretty so you were happy to wear it, jewelry and all… Alongside your boots and a small purse containing a shrunken pair of jeans, a shirt and your companion robot of course, in case you needed to change or fight.

>"I thought it was for Momo." Mina says, smug enough for you to pick up her tone.

"Kinda?" You say, waving at the structure behind you. "Ah mean, when in Rome…"

>"Omygosh! It's a megamansion!" Mina excitedly proclaims, finally taking in the massive gates and the even larger mansion beyond, all protected by a huge vine-covered fence protecting the mansion from unwanted eyes and visitors.

>"I knew she was rich, just not…" Kyoka says, waving a hand at the massive estate in front of you all. "This rich."

"Better get used to it fast, sugar. It only gets more lavish past this point!" You tell her with a chuckle, poking her with an elbow, having a bit of a laugh at their expense.

In a matter of seconds the gate starts opening smoothly and deceptively fast for their size.

But even with the gate open, no one dares step in, as both Sero and Kyoka look unsure of the whole idea while Mina and Kaminari seem eager to snoop around but are waiting for someone else to take point.

"Oh come on, it's just a fancy shed! A really, really, REALLY fancy shed, but still." You tell them as you start walking through the well kept path parallel to the driveway, smelling the sweet flowers on your way to the front door. Mina and Kaminari, encouraged by your undaunted progress towards meeting your friend (and perhaps also her mother), quickly catch up to walk beside you.

Unlike your last visit, it's not Momo and Mrs. Yaoyorozu that wait for you at the door beyond the beautiful garden, but an older gentleman in a perfectly tailored black suit that befits his ramrod posture and dignified expression.

>"Miss Ashido, Miss Jiro, Mister Kaminari, Mister Sero and Miss Walker, I presume?" He asks, his kind yet dry voice telling you that he could be no younger than seventy since you don't pick up the signature stench of a smoker.

Once more, none of your companions take the lead; all four of them look at each other as if they hadn’t a collective clue on what to do. The gentleman fittingly clears his throat as the question lingers in the air far longer than is comfortable.

"'yuup, that's us alright." You finally answer with a nod and a sincere smile.

>"Welcome, one and all and thanks for confirming." The man said with what you can only describe as a grandfatherly chuckle as he fully opens the door and steps back. The kind that reveals a past of a thousand smiles wrinkled across his face. "I am Uchimura, butler and house manager of the Yaoyorozu Household. Miss Momo waits for you at the auditorium, so by all means, do come in."

"Uh, sure." You mutter as you cross the door, surprised. Momo's momma apologized last time that the live-in staff had gone home that weekend… But you didn't expect a buttler!

>"A real-life butler! They do exist!" Mina gasps behind you, her tone and volume sounding like she's trying really hard to whisper but overtly failing from excitement.

>"...You think they've got maids too?" Kaminari asks, in a far more successful yet no less excited whisper.

>"Don't start with that." Kyoka immediately snaps at him, but is just as quickly interrupted.

>"Yes, the household does employ maids as well..." Uchihara confirms as you all enter the genkan, leaving your footwear in red wood boxes as the butler goes to stand beside the next door. Feeling glad about remembering to bring your fancy socks this time, you step into the mansion proper.

>"Welcome!" A group of maids says in unison as you and your classmates cross the threshold, four maids at each side of the door.

>"...As you can see." The butler finishes as both Sero's and Kaminari's jaws drop, although the former has the presence of mind to cover his mouth.

>"Hello there!" A familiar voice calls from deeper within the mansion, the voice of Momo's momma, accompanied by the rhythmic footsteps of someone in a hurry.

As you meet her mother, you can't help but be surprised once more at how identical to Momo she looks. She rushes towards you all with a warm smile on her face, her waist long hair flowing behind her.

"Howdy Mrs. Yaoyorozu!" You greet her with a modest bow, mostly to be polite but also to, again, snap your classmates out of their stupor and awe.

>"Glad to have you back, Miss Walker! Let it never be said you don't clean up nicely!" She joyously greets you back before looking at your friends. "Well, as she said, I'm Mrs. Yaoyorozu… And I must say, it's wonderful to meet Momo's dear friends…"

>"...'sup." It's all that Kaminari can muster as Mrs. Yaoyorozu looks over him.

>"H-hello, ma'am…" Kyoka says, managing an actual greeting.

>"Nice to meetcha!" Mina happily chips in.

>"Thanks for having us." Sero finishes the introductions with a bow as well.

>"Five of you! I'm so very glad that Momo has made so many frie-" Mrs. Yaoyorozu says as she looks over each of you in turn, from horns to toes… And stopping at Kyoka. "Oh. You…"

>"Huh?" The girl in question mutters, looking down at her clothes.

Looking down, she likely doesn't notice how the woman's smile vanishes, nor how her gentle eyebrows scrunched… Just for a second, as she's back to smiling when Kyoka looks back up.

>"Ahem, Momo was making preparations in the auditorium." Mrs. Yaoyorozu says, briefly covering her mouth with her hand. "Let's get you over there."

>"Shall I…?" Uchimura tries to ask, but Mrs. Yaoyorozu dismisses the gesture.

>"No, Allow me." She says, turning around and motioning for you to follow.

And follow you do, over ornate marble floors and around vases that look more expensive than your life, walking by paintings you could swear you've seen referenced in some movie.

>"So Momo actually lives here?... I can see it now!" Mina says, posing next to a suit of armor, pretending to lift a sword but thankfully refraining from taking one of the decorative ones. "Yaomomo, warrior princess!"

>"Yaomomo?" Mrs. Yaoyorozu asks, turning around to face your pink friend.

>"It's what she's been calling Yaomomo since she agreed to help." Kyoka explains, her head taking a second to catch up with her mouth. "I mean Momo… Your daughter, that's it."

>"And it's catching on!" Mina proudly announces. "Cute and short-ish! It's a perfect nickname!"

>"And it sounds like some lovely, exotic plant…" Mrs. Yaoyorozu muses, clearly amused by Mina's pride in her nicknaming. "Say, what nickname would you give me, then?"

>"Well, since you are Yaomomo's mom, how 'bout Yaomama!" Mina fires back without missing a beat.

>"Wonderful! By all means, do call me Yaomama." She says as she turns around to lead the way once more, softly giggling and covering her mouth as she does.

It's all nice and dandy, but you can't quite focus on the humor of it all, as you notice Kyoka all too interested in the marble floor, tensing the moment Yaomama turned around.

Putting two and two together, you take a look at her outfit. Ripped collar that exposes her shoulders, leather pants and a single studded leather cuff around her left wrist. Tame punk, all things considered.

It was barely remarkable, as everyone else besides you are underdressed for the place too. You knew what to expect and dressed accordingly, maybe even overshot the fancy factor. But Sero and Kaminari are both sporting simple pants and shirts while Mina is wearing a sleeveless light pink top and a denim skirt, all of them clash with the decor too…

Maybe it's the ripped shirt and punk look, maybe it's something else entirely, but whatever it may be, it looks like it got to Kyoka.

I'm not too caught up with the manga, is Bakugo still an insufferable cunt?
>>

That's subjective according to what you're willing to suffer.

I would say yes.

In what universe would Hori or his editors put the endless rain of Bakugo fujo bucks at risk for things like character development? He screams at people less as time goes on but he is still a dick who believes he is god's gift to man. There is no excusable reason for a human being to act this psychotic, even the most narcissistic, insane celebrities out there aren't this bad. Is the physical and psychological agony of quirk induced penis burns the reason he is so completely fucked?
SQR's readers are very rarely logical with their theories, but it honestly makes a little too much sense that Bakugo's mental state comes from a combination of constant, mind destroying pain and the effects his charred, mangled cock has on his psyche. Bakugo's hand sweat could easily combust from friction, and since jacking off is an activity that both makes you sweaty and generates friction, explosions going off mid coom are nearly inescapable. What's worse is that this Bakugo can't eat a magic plate of spaghetti and meatballs and have his duwang unfucked. I'm surprised he hasn't killed himself, I definitely would if I was in his position.
