Slowly over a ridge in the island's form rose Godzilla. The battle scarred Daikaiju looked over the centre of Infant Island, searching for the entrance to Mothra's sanctum here on her home.

Godzilla came to the sight of the sanctum's upper stratum, a complex series of temples built by human hands situated inside the snug interior of a natural crater with high rising walls of rock and hard packed clay lined with clusters of dirt and plant forming the trim along them. The place was burning, fires rose from buildings and lasers hummed through the air. The Xiliens were besieging it, tearing it all down to the ground with a frightening zeal. They seemed absolutely determined to get inside the place of the Divine Moths, it was their top priority.

The native inhabitants of the island who worshiped Mothra either fled or hid, and most who fought with their spears against the invaders were cut down in barrages of laser fire from the Xilien troopers swarming the complex on the ground. They were placing bombs and blasting it all with their fighting machines and saucers. Blowing away the surface would reveal the inner sanctum below to them, where Mothra and her child Leo resided. Though, Godzilla seriously doubted they would be able to defeat Leo if they penetrated the sanctum deeper. What was it they were after? One of Mothra's secrets?

Godzilla didn't pay it further heed. Right now he needed to get inside that sanctum and locate the Moths, only they would be able to tell him where the young Shin was. His daughter was most important right now, she was in danger and he had to help her!

Getting inside that sanctum won't be easy like this however. The Xiliens deployed four large scale mecha. King Joe mechas. They were the invader's likely equivalent to the Mechagodzilla models of the Humans. The King Joe machines were tearing the place apart with rays fired from their eyes, they were bulky and their steps reverberated across the ground of the island, a sign of their immense strength.

Besides that, the aliens were marching men up the slope of the nearby volcano with bombs. They were probably going to try and force it to erupt, that would fill the sanctum with lava and flush out the Divine Moths to stop it. The volcano might also provide some access to the sanctum, it was rather big, there could be tunnels.

Alternatively, Godzilla could give it his all to rush the site of the siege. He could force his way past the aliens and inside the sanctum by spending much of his power to blow a hole into it.

Whatever he did, he needed to act fast, time was of the essence while his daughter was in danger...

What will Godzilla do here?

Godzilla had a thought come to mind while he stood there upon the tall mound of the island's slopes and hills. The Dark Core he recovered from Zetton's destroyed corpse...

He reaches back with his remaining arm and retrieves the alien artifact from the spikes and fins of his back, bringing it around to look down at it. The Dark Core was the same as before, humming with Hyper Zetton's deathly energies. This disturbing thing was powerful.

How could Godzilla make use of it here however? Would he even want to? Perhaps he might try fracturing it and seeing what will happen. It could explode, he might throw it the way of the aliens... but he'll never get anything like this again and he didn't even know how to truly use it. He had to consider, it had the power to kill what it touched...

Godzilla came to a decision, he would use this organ he gained from Zetton's defeat. It would serve him now.

The thing was violently unstable even without a scratch in his hand, so Godzilla plied down on it with a crushing grip. The thing sounded as though glass as it began to progressively crack in his palm, splitting into thousands of shards as the cracks all grew on the surface.

And then there was a crunching as the thing gave way to fracture in Godzilla's hand, broken and utterly damaged. The deathly energies contained inside killed cells in Godzilla's palm and fingers, but more importantly it began to rumble in his hand, set to detonate as the energies of death rolled out of it's cracks at an alarming rate! The Dark Core Organ must have replenished itself as Godzilla carried it after Hyper Zetton's defeat, no longer being able to constitute itself... it was going to let it all out at once. Death would spill from it.

So Godzilla heaved back with his one good arm, and hurled the thing into the air far above the sanctum of Mothra, sending it soaring away....

As quickly as Godzilla had destroyed and discarded the alien organ artifact, it had exploded into a bright nova of death that eclipsed the island from above. Numerous Xiliens were caught in the explosion, and all of them died in it's grasp. Fighting Machines were smashed to bits, and some had survived the blast, the armor holding against it and protecting the operators. The King Joes were knocked aside off balance.

The sanctum's upper stratum was leveled, turned into dust and rubble by the detonation of the organ, all of the natives who worshiped Mothra taken with it.

Godzilla had also survived, his regenerative capabilities allowed him to endure the waves of death before they vanished. Now there was truly no trace of Zetton left in this universe.

Just as soon as the King of All Monsters came to, one of the King Joe mecha fell on top of him, it's ultra heavy weight holding him down. He tried to bellow a roar in fury, but the thing shut his jaw and began to choke him, squeezing down tightly on his neck with it's free arm. The pilot was doing his best to try and kill Godzilla.

Godzilla had his remaining arm free, he had to get this thing off, but it was just so overwhelmingly heavy! Even more so than Super Mechagodzilla...!

Turning the machine over after managing to slip his feet and tail into the right spot, Godzilla pressed down on the viewport of the cockpit for the machine, driving his index claw through and crushing the pilots, rendering the King Joe disabled. That was one of four down.

Godzilla swung his head about, searching for any sign of the remaining King Joes, but he found none. They must have moved on ahead in pursuit of the Divine Moths.

Godzilla rose and moved closer over to where the center of the island was. The upper stratum of the sanctuary, as well as the crater that used to house it were both gone, having been blown away by the blast of the organ when Godzilla expended it. Now there was a massive hole in the earth leading down into the lower stratrum and subterranean system that lied below Infant Island. Could it be possible there was hollow earth beneath this island? It would certainly make a good home for any Monster, especially the Moths.

The flow of magma was seen down at the bottom. Godzilla would have moved in already, but it was so abyssal, jumping from this height could hurt even a Kaiju. Getting down will be a bit of a problem...

Godzilla needed to move, the alien saucers were coming in closer to attack.

Making up his mind, the King of all Monsters trudged back over and grabbed up the metallic beast behind him. He heaved the King Joe over with considerable effort behind his pull until the colossus was near the hole. Lasers were already being fired his way by the attack saucers above, but they did little other than annoy him as their bigger weapons hadn't been deployed yet.

Godzilla stood atop the defeated machine and planted his claws around it, steering himself using it's arm before he rushed forward, using his tail to propel himself into the hole with the machine.

The two of them reached a momentary terminal velocity as they fell into the wide hole. When the King Joe hit the ground, it's heavy weight helping the fall, it exploded into a flurry of flying metal bits and blue gasses. The shards of it's Pedanium hull embedding themselves into Godzilla and the surroundings alike.

The explosion hurt, but Godzilla saved his limbs.

Now that he had his wits about him, Godzilla scanned around the room until his eyes fell to the sight of two more of the King Joes, as well as their enemy.

It was Mothra! She had hatched herself already in time for this invasion. However, she was not faring so well. Hatching this early must have dulled her inherent powers. She could not put up much of a physical struggle against the King Joes and was being manhandled.

One was restraining her, another was coming in to attack from behind.

What does Godzilla do?

Godzilla needed Mothra at this time, he couldn't allow her to receive any serious injuries.

The King came charging in, springing to action in the face of the first King Joe, which let go of Mothra to respond to Godzilla's threat. The alien war machine turned and raised both of it's arms, channeling an on board energy source that resided in the Pedanium which composed all of it's armor and cog work.

A series of energetic squares formed in front of the King Joe, creating a shield which blocked Godzilla's claws and prevented him from closing the distance any further!

The other King Joe ceased it's advance and stood there for a moment. Godzilla's eyes looked over it as Mothra fluttered above.

The second machine lower it's arms and assumed an upright stance, it's limbs giving out a mechanical clicking as they locked in place.

Then, without any expectation or warning, the second King Joe began to levitate, and then it flew forward full thrust in the air at Godzilla, it's head leveled to ram him!

This attack was ridiculous, but Godzilla was vulnerable in that second!

His synapses traveling quickly, Godzilla acted. As the second King Joe approached, Godzilla unleashed his Nuclear Pulse before it could hit!

The atomic waves battered both King Joes, shattering the Pedanium shield of the first and blowing the second down into the rock below. The waves also worked to short circuit the second one, leaving it completely defenseless.

Godzilla went to splash the crew of the first King Joe, but when he rounded it's head, it suddenly raised it's arms and backed off submissively, signaling reluctance to challenge him.

Godzilla would let not live a coward, he would never spare the frail who refuse to fight and lose.

Godzilla tore through the machine's viewports easily, smearing the pilots of both into the inner workings until their cockpits were smoking with electrical fires. The King Joes fell, offering little resistance.

After dealing with the invaders, Godzilla rose and felt something latch onto his arm. Mothra was tugging at him, and now she was carrying something she hadn't been holding before, a large box and a glowing object which she handled with utmost care.

"Cheeeerrrrrnnnnt!"

The Divine Moth was urging Godzilla to come with her immediately, she blurted it out that she would carry him to 'safety'. But Godzilla did not need to find safety, he needed to know where his child was, where Shin was! And where was Leo at as well? What had this damn Moth in such an uproar to escape the island?

"MEEEOOWWWPH!"

Whatever it was, it had Mothra greatly distressed, to the point she was willing to leave her own son behind...

There could be grave consequences here... What does Godzilla do?

Her demeanor was enough to convince Godzilla, as Mothra was not one to fear, yet now she seemed shakily from what disturbed her.

Godzilla felt compelled to heed her plea for him to come with her, and so turned away from going any further deeper into the bowels of Infant Island in pursuit of Mothra Leo. The King allowed the Divine Moth to grapple him by his spines and take him, and with all of her effort and energy Mothra fluttered her wings to lift him up, taking him out of the hole from the blast earlier. Alien saucers came near to shoot, but Mothra was faster than them, and quickly flew away, leaving the Island behind for all was lost there.

When out of range of the invaders and off from the coast of the Island, Godzilla was able to turn his neck around, granting himself a view of what it was that Mothra was so desperate to flee then...

The Monster that took Junior away. That skeletal adversary... Godzilla would never forget his face.

He was descending down into the depths of Infant Island, after whatever it was the Aliens sought.

Mothra was overworking her wings to fly away faster. Godzilla barely made the audible cry to ask her just why. All she could say back with her own interrupted wails was that Leo was using his final measure.

Her son was sacrificing himself to destroy the massive armada, and to try and obliterate that wicked Monster too. He would explode in a bright flash, and take it all with him.

Mothra flew for a while over the gargantuan stretch of the Pacific Ocean, but eventually she was exhausted of her strength and energy. Godzilla was too heavy for her to carry forever, and so her hands gave away and he went plummeting down into the waves. Thankfully, she had glided downwards so the impact would not be harmful.

Mothra too went careening into the water, splashing hard against the surface but retaining her hold on the two objects she carried, making sure they would not come under any trauma at the cost of her own body.

Godzilla floated back to the surface above and looked down at the weakened Divine Moth, who went with the flow of the water.

"Cheeerrrnnnnt..."

She took that moment to assure him she was only resting, she would leave as soon as she got her bearings.

"Skreeeooooonnnnkkk!"

But that wasn't what Godzilla wanted to know. He questioned her, demanding to know where Shin was.

"Cheeerrnnnnt herrrnt!"

He did not like what he heard after that.

Mothra told him what happened. Battra and King Ghidorah both attacked Infant Island before the arrival of the aliens. Leo could not intervene to help Shin as he battled Battra, allowing Ghidorah to snatch her away and fly back to Monster Island. Mothra hatched again after that, and then the aliens attacked with their armada...

Shin was at Monster Island after all, and she was in King Ghidorah's hands... Godzilla was enraged. He had to get back, now.

Godzilla did not thank Mothra, he was in a rush. The King simply left the Divine Moth there staring as he turned his back and dashed off into the waters of the Pacific, she was an afterthought. His mind was clouded with Shin alone.

Godzilla traveled across the ocean, fighting a battle against time as he pushed himself to reach his home.

When the King rolled up to his own doorstep, he was greeted by the sight of a raging storm of gold. The telltale sign of Ghidorah's presence. From atop the volcano of the island, normally the home of Rodan, Godzilla heard a call. The call of one proclaiming itself 'alpha'. It was a challenge, to Godzilla.

King Ghidorah proudly raises all of his three necks.

'I am destroyer of worlds!'

The Golden Dragon peered down with venom at Godzilla from atop the mountain, his visage forming three sick smirks among his maws of gritting teeth.

King Ghidorah held Shin in place with his foot, threatening to crush her. He may also try to use her as a shield, if Godzilla were to use his breath attacks.

Godzilla stood three hundred meters away from the peak. Ghidorah could throw Shin inside at any moment, but he waited, as if to torture his enemy with the suspense of holding his daughter hostage.

Shin cried weakly, her eyes white as milk from trauma. She chirped, calling for Godzilla...

Godzilla... would make King Ghidorah pay...

Godzilla thundered, bellowing a violent howl of challenge at his potential usurper. He called Ghidorah a coward and a weakling. As well, he labeled him a failure, unable to overcome Godzilla throughout time.

Ghidorah hissed in response, but he did not attack. He held back and reached down, picking Shin up in the jaws of his right and leftmost heads. He made a point to sink his fangs into her skin as well, but not all the way. She squealed and thrashed in pain. He was using her as a shield to protect his heads and necks.

"YREEAAAAEEEOOOOOUGH! EEEAOUGHH EEEEOUGH BIDIBIDIBIDIBIDIBIDI!""

The three headed devil came back with praises of himself. He claimed being so much more cunning than Godzilla, biding his time and waiting for the right moment to topple the King despite being defeated. Ghidorah did not view defeat as so humiliating when he could always come back and fight again, and win himself.

He squeezed down on Shin's throat and tail, his lead head declaring Godzilla a fool for ever hosting him on Monster Island, and furthermore tolerating him. Ghidorah swore he would slay Godzilla here and now, and he would be quick about it.

Then, the Golden Demise flapped his wings and took flight!

King Ghidorah barreled towards his enemy through the air, speeding down and swiping Godzilla with his cudgel tails. Godzilla was stunned in place, allowing the Golden Demise to swing around, drop lower down and catch Godzilla in the chest with his two feet.

Ghidorah hovered, flapping his wings ever harder and pushing Godzilla up towards the mouth of the volcano, threatening to send him careening down into the lava inside as he edged him closer. All the while, King Ghidorah was enjoying the pain he caused the helpless Shin in his mouths, he was an unapologetic black soul with an appetite for destruction.

Though he was dangerously close, Godzilla couldn't allow him to succeed!

The rock beneath his feet crumbled under his weight and he slid backwards, falling into the mouth of the volcano, plummeting down into the magma below. His impact on the pool of it sent the hot red composite splashing everywhere, and he slowly began to sink into it.

Godzilla could hear Ghidorah's cackling over the sound of his fall, but worse, he heard Shin's cry.

"SKEEEEENK!"

Ghidorah released and let his daughter fall into the pit with him!

Godzilla was not especially bothered by the lava, he could remain submerged inside of it for years if need be. But Shin was in a fatal situation, her skin has not yet developed truly protective scales, the lava would scorch and melt her juvenile form and she would surely perish. Her throat let out horrible wails of pain as she thrashed on the surface of the lava pit, her regenerative capabilities working to restore flesh, only for it to be burned away again. Her flesh was flying as gasses built up underneath her back and popped.

Godzilla was going to help immediately, but he was left stuck on his back as King Ghidorah suddenly descended overhead, landing on the pit and standing over the King.

Ghidorah screeched as he attacked relentlessly, hellbent on killing Godzilla. Head San from the left clamped down on Godzilla's wrist, while head Ni, the commanding head, blasted his chest with a Gravity Beam! Head Ichi was looming, ready to try and bite Godzilla's neck!

What does Godzilla do?!

Saving Shin was Godzilla's top priority. He hated the sounds of her agony in the volcano.

In order to free himself, the King had to push into the barely palpable magma with his tail, doing so allowed him to gain enough force behind his legs to pick Ghidorah up with them. The Golden Demise bit Godzilla's wrist harder to hold on, and also lunged at his stump of a left arm as well, biting into it and reopening the wound Godzilla received from Zetton's Deathscythe.

Nonetheless, King Ghidorah was thrown to the side by Godzilla kicking him away, Ghidorah's teeth sliding out of Godzilla's skin and taking scales with him as he went...

Godzilla balanced himself out on the lava and made a dash towards his daughter. He scooped Shin up in his remaining arm and pulled her out from sinking into the magma. Her body was scorched, but it quickly began to recover without the lava interfering with the process of regeneration.

Godzilla had no choice, he slung his arm, throwing Shin across the chamber and onto the nearest rock platform he could see. His child rolled across it, bumping into the wall before coming to a stop. Shin was unresponsive... but still regenerating...

King Ghidorah's tails whipped around all of a sudden, wrapping around Godzilla and restraining him from behind, the space monster making a jumping using his wings to propel.

Godzilla felt the tail around his neck tighten, Ghidorah was trying to choke him.

"BIDIBIDI BIDIBIDIBIDIBIDIBIDI!"

'Only one of us leaves here alive, and it will be we!'

King Ghidorah smacked the tip of his tail into the back of Godzilla's neck, bludgeoning him with the spikes of it's cudgel form.

"BIDIBIDIBIDIBIDIBIDI!"

'Perish! You and your brat will perish!'

Godzilla and King Ghidorah collided, their breath weapons toiling against one another. The volcano around began to become unstable, rumbling from the intense energies flaring up within it's chamber.

It would erupt soon, but Godzilla swore he would be out of there with Shin before that happened. He had enough, it was time to execute Ghidorah.

Neither Godzilla nor Ghidorah could gain the upper hand in their struggle of the weapons. The Atomic Breath and full onslaught of Gravity Beams were equals, and so they conjoined with overpowering being impossible. The breath weapons burst into a powerful explosion ringing through the air, cracking the walls of the volcano's interior and upsetting the oncoming eruption further.

Godzilla and King Ghidorah were both thrown back by the resulting shock wave.

However, when Godzilla opened his eyes again, he saw that King Ghidorah had landed himself a disadvantage.

The King of Terror was stuck, barely able to escape in his current place. The magma was shrouding his wings, heavy as the loads of pure composite weighed him down for the moment. He was waist deep in it, thrashing and struggling to get free. How ironic, given how he intended to kill Godzilla here inside the volcano.

The King of All Monsters on the other hand... could navigate the magma quite well. It was his chance to strike and deal a fatal blow.

The head sunk it's teeth into his neck and halted his advance for the second, and then with a strong bite and pull, the commanding head ripped away a large chunk of Godzilla's neck.

But this was far from enough to stop him in his tracks...

Godzilla ignored the pain stinging his flesh beneath the scales. He dove forward, his claw racing through the air.

"YREEEEEEEAAAAAAEEEEEEEEOOOOOUGH!"

Ghidorah howled in excruciating pain. Godzilla's claws tore right through his hide, ripping the golden scales of his normally strong body apart like tree bark. The Golden Dragon's flesh was split as Godzilla's hand sank into his rib cage and organs.

And in an instant, King Ghidorah's fate was sealed by Godzilla, who was weakened in such a way that it might have seemed impossible for him to win.

The heart of King Ghidorah was torn right out of his chest by his hated enemy, and he could only stare in disbelief as Godzilla held his bulging organ in front of his eyes, the heart still beating faintly.

"B... BIDIBIDIBIDIBDI... BI.. BIDIBDI!"

King Ghidorah screamed profanities, damning Godzilla and asking just how it was he could die like this? But his real question was... just what did Godzilla really plan to do raising an alien as his own? An alien that would inevitably try to destroy him as well?

Answer Ghidorah? Or leave him confused as he dies?

All around, the volcano of Monster Island erupted in Godzilla's face, a side effect of him launching his Atomic Breath to drown Ghidorah in the lava in an already unstable chamber. Rest assured, Ghidorah was truly no more, disintegrated completely.

The King of All Monsters was tired, he had been through a lot recently. The battle against Zetton, the struggle with the King Joes and the fight to rescue his daughter from his longtime rival.

He was missing an arm, part of his neck, and many scales. The injuries amounted to too much for him to continue now, so he rested in place along the side of the now calm volcano. Even though it all stung still, it wasn't so bad now that he could finally put his hand on his daughter again. Shin was ecstatic to see Godzilla, she was quick to curl up in his lap.

Godzilla thought he might rest a few days here, or perhaps more. Some time for the injuries to heal with. Until the next time he moves again.

Brushing past the agent and the guard, Serizawa stepped inside the office awaiting him and adjusted his tie.

The room glowed vibrantly, walls like the fall season lit by many small white lights placed along the rims of the floor. It was some sort of meeting lounge, with cushioned furniture in strange shapes and tables extending from the floor. Metal trinkets like bottles and glasses here and there.

What stood out the most was a man in the room near a gravity projector. The device held something that was important to Serizawa, something he was hoping to one day destroy, or hide forever from the rest of the world in fear of it's very existence; His 'Microforms', contained within a strong glass casing.

"Hello." The figure says in a soft voice, turning briefly to bow politely. "I'm not a Xilien."

"...Greetings."

"You are Serizawa Daisuke, a renowned Chemist from Earth. My name is Metphies, I am a close advisor to the Great Controller and one of our best scientists. I have eagerly wanted to meet you ever since I heard about your 'Oxygen Destroyer'." The alien said.

"I trust the agents did not give you too rough a time, yes?"

"I can't say it was rough, all I remember was the part about being stuffed into a car's trunk, and then it was all black."

"So long now." Controller X excused himself, snapping his fingers along the way.

Doctor Serizawa just sighed as he watched the door close.

"Finally. It seems at times like he'll never leave when he shows up. He does like to hear himself speak." The Professor suddenly said from behind, in a tone not all too appreciative of the Controller as before. Serizawa raised his eyebrow.

"Doctor, I trust you're not naive, yes?"

"What?" Serizawa was flabbergasted. "Of course I'm not naive!"

"Then you should know everything he told you was a bold faced lie, am I right?"

"Well- I- Uh... Huh?"

"It's true. The 'Great' Controller has ulterior motives. He could care less about the people of Earth or their survival. He doesn't even care about his own people living. Simplistically you can describe him as nothing short of a cruel tyrant."

"But you yourself said he spoke the truth. You ranted about how well your people are doing under his empire!" Serizawa almost raised his voice.

"Yes, they do well, but others among them do not, the quality of life varies and some suffer while others are content, this goes for every race within the Empire. After all, an Empire can't support itself with a populace that doesn't work for rewards."

"The truth is, the Empire is ruled by a gathering of leaders from across the galaxy, abusing their power to force their nations into remaining apart of this empire, Controller X is just the most influential of them all, in a way, the head. I do not truly condone him or this shadowy council."

"....I knew I was being deceived, but that is... why are you telling me this?"

"Well, I have ulterior motives much like the Controller. I want to bring peace to the cosmos, true peace. I use my position of power at his side to try and get ever further to making that my reality." Metphies admits all of a sudden.

"He wants your Oxygen Destroyer, and has entrusted me with trying to pry it from you. I won't attempt that however."

Wot if this is a ploy to have him pretend to be on our side, against X? It's what I would do if I was X and someone I wanted to recruit was actively against me. Give them an option and known backing as an ally. Even if they were genuinely opposing X, at least it would be opposition with someone within X's power structure and not an external agent. Much easier to control.

Like X said, he's been doing this for a long time. No way he doesn't know Melphies true goals and opposition to X ruling.
