Were you to travel the stars, across this vast universe, no doubt tales of a mighty warrior race would reach your ears. Many speak of the Saiyans with awe and wonder, marveling at their power and aspiring to become like them. Others speak in hushed tones, of the fear and despair in facing the warrior race in battle. But one thing all agree on, is that standing against the might of the Saiyan race would spells certain doom. Many have tried, several going as far as to invade the Saiyan’s homeworld of New Salda. Yet every invasion has failed, defeated by the Saiyans and their most powerful warriors: the golden-haired Super Saiyans, and the green-haired legend who leads them. But once more they march, leaving their home behind and advancing into the heart of their enemy’s territory. Which side will triumph, and who will perish?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball world. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the radiant symbol of Saiyan might. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 34 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become one of the strongest beings in the entire universe.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After reuniting with the Ginyu Force and catching up for a bit, Karn then checks in with both Vegeta and Freeza. After taking the exhausted Freeza to Dr. White and leaving him in his care, Karn then visited New Salda and learned what had happened over the past weeks from Tatsu before checking in on his kids. First was Tatsu and Tomi, who Karn watched easily defeat several older children who’d apparently been picking on the younger ones. After watching this Karn challenged them to show off their training, and that’s when Karn met Tomitsu. Somehow, a third personality has developed from the twins’ constant merging of their consciousness. And as we rejoin Karn, Raven has just appeared by you.

“I see you’ve met Tomitsu.” Raven says, New Salda’s Guardian suddenly appearing from a portal beside you. “They have an interesting condition, don’t they?”
“Raven?” you ask, confused. “How?”
“I’m not certain of it myself.” she says, the two of you facing this new individual. “But this ‘Tomitsu’ is an entirely new being, made of bits and pieces of both of your childrens’ minds.”
“I see.” you say, turning and addressing your children. Or child. This is confusing. “Well, Tomitsu. It’s nice to meet you.”
“And you too, Father.” Tomitsu says, again taking their unique stance. “Let me show you what I can really do!”
“Bring it on!” you reply, once more taking your own fighting stance as Raven tactically retreats a safe distance away. “You’d better not hold back on me! Show me everything you’ve got!”

“Alright, but you asked for it!” Tomitsu shouts, the veins on your childrens’ foreheads bulging as you feel their powerlevels spiking. In a flash their power doubles, Tomitsu transforming both bodies into the Ascended Saiyan form. Lightning dances around their massive aura, the twins, or Tomitsu rather, radiating far more power than either Tatsu or Tomi could individually. “This is everything I’ve got!”
“Not bad. Actually, I’m really surprised you can Ascend like that.” you reply, smiling. These two, or rather three you guess, are far more powerful than you’d have thought. With this much power at their disposal, perhaps they should have gone with Chaya and the rest. “Alright, let’s go!”

How will you start round two off?
>Rush and attack, test their defense
>Defend, see what Tomitsu can really do
>Evade and counterattack, study this joined fighter’s style
>Keep your distance, test Tomitsu’s ability against your ki strikes
>Your sword and hammer are on the ship, but you can make a dulled Super Ki Blade to see how they’ll handle that

“Show me what you can do.” you say, gesturing with your left hand for Tomitsu to come at you. Which is all the invitation your synced children need, blasting forward right for you. They rush forward side-by-side, then as they close the distance Tatsu swings Tomi around and at your head. Instead of blocking her, you instead back up just out of her range. Tomi’s small fist sails just past your face, almost grazing your nose as you back out of the strike’s range. “Woah!”

“HYAAAAAA!!” they shout together, Tomi redirecting her momentum by spinning clockwise and swinging Tatsu at you with a backhanded strike. With his right hand held by Tomi he twists, thrusting a double kick for your gut. With the direction of Tomitsu’s strike, you can’t simply back away again. So this time you evade differently, using the Su Ma’s technique to twist counterclockwise around his thrusting feet. “Tch!”
“You’ll have to do better than that!” you taunt jokingly, backing further away from them as the duo reorient on you. “Come on, show me what you can really do!”
“Alright, you asked for it!” Tomitsu replies, combined golden aura flaring up higher around them. With Tatsu’s right holding Tomi’s left, they throw their opposite arms out wide as Tomitsu channel their fused ki. You watch, eyes widening as you realize what’s about to happen as their free hands land together as well, golden energy shining. “FINAL FLASH!!”

“BARRIER!” you shout, raising your left hand palm-first towards the incoming attack and letting your energy expand. Your emerald energy expands out into a solid dome, enshrouding you in the protective shield moments before the golden wave slams into it. As strong as they are, that attack could have caused some serious damage to the planet. So instead of dodging and letting the attack run wild, you use your shield and block the beam of destruction. For almost a solid minute Tomitsu’s beam struggles to destroy your shield, but your technique proves it’s usefulness once more. The mixed fighter drops the attack, both of the twins left panting in perfect sync. “Impressive power you two. Three? And that’s certainly an interesting fighting style you’ve developed.”

“Thanks.” Tomitsu says, sighing out as they revert back to base forms. “But I’m tired now, so I’m gonna go back to sleep. I’ll see you around Dad.”

And with that Tatsu and Tomi let their joined hands go, power dropping dramatically. Both blink several times out of sync, looking around curiously until they see you.

“Did, did we fight you?” Tatsu asks, looking around at the three of you.
“Yeah, you did. And I must say I’m impressed.” you say, reverting as well as you walk over to them, placing a hand on each of their heads. “You guys are getting stronger every day. I’m proud of you. All of you.”
“YAY!” Tomi and Tatsu shout excitedly, you taking a knee and hugging your children to you. “When we fight together, nobody can stop us!”
“One day, if you both keep working hard, I’m sure you could be an unstoppable duo.” you reply, standing and lifting them both up with you.

But what will you do now?
>Take this opportunity to check up on the other set of twins, as well as your little Okira
>Return to your old ship, check up on Silver and see how things are going there.
>Visit the hole into the catacombs beneath the planet’s surface, check it out yourself and make sure that it’s still under control
>Telepathically reach out to New Salda itself, see how your planet is doing

“But I gotta go back, okay?” you say, looking back and forth between them. “My job’s not done yet. We took the splitjaw’s planet, but their main base is still out there. So I gotta get back to my own training, okay?”
“Awwww, okay!” Tomi says, hugging even tighter to you. “I’ll miss you!”
“I’ll miss you too kiddo.” you say, ruffling her hair. “I want you both to take care of your other siblings while I’m away, okay?”
“I will.” Tatsu says seriously, your young son nodding once. “Nobody’s gonna hurt them while we’re here.”
“Good. When we’re all done I’ll let you know.” you say, setting them both down and turning to Raven, who’d been watching the entire time. “Ready to send me back?”
“Of course.” the Guardian of New Salda replies, creating a portal to the Lucrehulk beside you. “Stay safe Karn.”

You nod to her, wave farewell to your kids, and walk back through the portal. In seconds you travel a near-inconceivable distance, crossing multiple star systems to return to the Lucrehulk, parked on Sanghelios. Unsurprisingly Meloka, with your youngest son Karn Jr. held in her arms.

“Everything okay?” she asks, you nodding to her and quickly filling her in telepathically. “Huh. I knew they could merge their powers, but I had no idea.”
“Me neither.” you reply, the three of you turning away from the exit and walking back through the Lucrehulk’s arm. You quickly fill her in on your plan, Meloka agreeing with your idea. News of your incapacitation had spread across the ship like wildfire, so seeing you up and moving again will no doubt restore everyone’s morale. So you begin the ‘tour’, first in the ship’s left arm where most of your students and the other Saiyans train. Everyone you pass by recognizes you on sight, your fellow Saiyans all crowding around you within moments. After a minute an entire mob has formed, everyone trying to see you and see that you’re really awake. After several moments of sharing Saiyan salutes and clasping forearms you gesture towards the nearest Gravity Chamber, Meloka nodding in understanding. You then break free of the crowds, landing atop the chamber to address everyone at once.

But what do you say?

“Alright everyone, listen up!” you shout out at the crowd, who almost instantly goes silent. Everyone is looking at you expectantly, even Karn Jr is staring at you, eyes wide. “As many of you are aware, I haven’t been up and about the past two weeks. And while most of you have no doubt by now heard why, I’ll repeat it now for those that haven’t. The Covenant’s new Arbiter was here, and I fought that bastard myself. And while he was stronger than the last one, I killed this one too. But you all know by now how those splitjaw bastards operate.”

“Like cowardly bitches!” a woman shouts out in that moment of silence, causing nearly everyone to laugh.
“You’re not wrong there!” you reply, then continue on. “But their Arbiter was the biggest coward of them all. So before we got here, his masters put a powerful bomb inside his chest. So when his heart stopped beating, well, kaboom. Luckily though I survived the blast, and after I was patched up the doctor discovered a whole bunch of crystal shrapnel in my bloodstream. So for the past two weeks I’ve been in a coma, having the shrapnel flushed completely out of my system.”

“So that’s where you’ve been, huh?” another voice calls out, this one a deeper male voice. You see the speaker as well, a Jiralhanae standing a head above the others gathered around. “Locked up somewhere so you could get fixed up?”
“Exactly!” you reply, addressing him directly. “Because turning their most powerful soldier into a suicide bomb isn’t even the most underhanded tactic they’ve tried. We’ve kept this as quiet as we could, but I think you all need to know this: the Covenant have sent multiple assassins on-board this ship.”

As you say this everyone begins murmuring amongst themselves in worried, hushed tones. You let this go on for several seconds before raising a hand, everyone again going quiet and waiting for what you’ll say next.

“Several assassins have been teleported onto this ship since we left New Salda.” you say, seeing dozens of peoples’ eyes widen in shock. “And of those I know of, they’ve all been handled either by myself, Meloka, or the Ginyu Force. And just earlier this morning, Guldo himself ended their teleporter’s life.”

A cheer goes up from the crowd at this news, you catching a glimpse of the smaller green alien amongst the crowd for only a second or two. But you know he’s here, smirking as chants of “Guldo, Guldo!” begin echoing through the hangar. By now the crowd has grown to several hundred Saiyans, PTO officers/soldiers, and Jiralhanae warriors, who’re all cheering side-by-side. But you’re not finished yet, there’s still one more thing to tell them.
cont
>>
>>4487896
“All this said, I’m not back to my full power yet.” you announce as the cheering begins dying down. “It’ll still be another day or two before I’m back at one hundred percent. But that doesn’t mean you all get to take a break in your training! If I catch anyone slacking off, I’ll still able and more than willing to kick your ass! The Covenant are afraid of us. Now go out there and give it your all, give them a reason to feel fear!”

“Karn! Karn! Karn!” the crowd roars in approval, chanting your name as you pull Meloka over for a kiss. After the speech the crowd quickly begins dispersing, you spending the rest of the day wandering about the ship and watching peoples’ training. Occasionally you offer a bit of advice, correcting a technique here or there while encouraging everyone to try their best. But as the day begins fading you feel your own strength beginning to ebb as well, retiring for the night back to your room. You eat a delicious meal fixed by Silver’s acolytes, Karn Jr getting his own meal from Meloka while your wife eats too. Having eaten your fill you all go to bed, you holding both Karn Jr and Meloka to you as you fall asleep. And after a deep, restful night’s slumber, you find yourself awake in the early dawn of a new day. Meloka and Karn Jr are still asleep in your arms, you no doubt having a wide smile on your face.

What now?
>Stay in bed, just lay there until Meloka or Karn Jr wakes up

But despite the peacefulness of this moment, you can’t help but feel that you’ve rested for more than long enough. So with a gentle touch you grab her and Karn Jr telekinetically, lifting them both just enough to slide your right arm out from under them. Setting them back down you slide out of bed, walking over to one of your training uniforms set out and get dressed. You leave the Bloodstone, Wolf Knight Greatsword, and Gravity Hammer all in the room, walking out the door and down the stairs into your section’s lobby. Everyone else still seems to be asleep: everyone except for one.

“Well well, look who’s awake.” you say, greeting Lord Freeza. “Feeling better?”
“Considerably.” he replies, taking your appearance in. “So, I take it you’re finally getting back to your training?”
“Yeah. I’m feeling much closer to normal now.” you reply. “Want to come with?”
“Ohohoho, why not?” he replies, the two of you heading out. In less than two minutes you’ve secured one of the strongest gravity chambers on the ship, and started it off at 20x New Salda’s gravity. You work through your starting workout, muscles stretching and straining as they push against two weeks of lethargy. Freeza notices you struggling, you catching him watching you closely several times before calling it out.

“Everything okay?” you ask, Freeza looking a bit sheepish. “I’m not made of glass you know.”
“No, but...” he starts, then after a few seconds sighs out and speaks to you frankly. “You do realize this is less than half of the gravity you were training at before, right?”
“Of course I know that.” you reply, feeling slightly annoyed at him. “I was advised by Dr. White to take it slow. My arms and legs haven’t moved in weeks, he said it’ll take time for my body to readjust.”
“I’m just worried that, well, the resupply ships will be here in only another week.” he says, your emperor’s body sagging under the weight of the stresses on his shoulders. “We need you ready to fight, and at one hundred percent when we push forward.”

“You’re worried about me. And I get it, there’s a lot riding on this.” you reply, taking your fighting stance. “So why don’t you try me, right here and now, and see just how ready I am?”
“Hmph. Alright then, let’s see!” he replies, taking his own wide-armed stance. “I shall make sure you haven’t regressed!”

“Come get me.” you say, gesturing with your left hand for him to take the lead. And Freeza is more than content to, taking a single step forward then charging. He moves fast, closing the distance in the blink of an eye. But you are ready, and using the movements of the Su Ma technique easily evade his opening right. You twist clockwise around his fist, plant your left palm right on his back, and shove. By unexpectedly adding your power to his charge he’s unable to stop, your friend crashing face-first into the wall that was behind you. “Come on Lord Freeza, you can’t go taking it that easy on me.”

“Ohohohoho, it would appear you’re not as helpless as you seem.” he replies, turning to once more face you. But then he clenches his fists, power spiking as he begins transformong. His body expands, first his torso, then arms and legs, and finally his head and neck as he takes on his second form. As his transformation concludes he rises back to his full height, now standing taller than you and his powerlevel basically even with your own. “Alright, now let’s try this for real.”
“Bring it!” you reply, taking your stance once more. Freeza mirrors yours, the both of you staring each other down for several seconds before he explodes forward. With Freeza moving at twice his previous speed, and the oppressive gravity restricting you, you can’t move as flawlessly as you would have liked. But your years of practice pay off, once more dodging his opening right fist by pivoting clockwise, sliding your right foot back and narrowly avoiding his large fist. But as fast as he is now you can’t simply shove him away, Freeza twisting and swinging his muscular tail right at your neck. “Shit!”

With no time to get fancy you simply flip backwards, his tail almost brushing your nose as you flip back onto your hands then once more to your feet. Yet in the time it took you to flip back to your feet Freeza went back on the offensive, reorienting on you and again closing the distance. This time he doesn’t charge forward recklessly, however, instead closing in then unleashing a barrage of lightning-quick strikes. So you change tactics as well, planting your feet and switching to Camali’s technique.

“HAAAAA!” Freeza shouts, throwing a right for your jaw. This time, instead of flipping away you simply lean, twisting your body a bit counterclockwise and letting his fist sail past you harmlessly. Freeza follows his right with a left hook, you ducking the blow and keeping your hands up between your head and his body then rising back upright just in time to lean back away from his left backhand then outside his follow-up right hammerfist. “Tch! SHYAAAA!!”
cont
>>
>>4488224
Freeza‘s heavy hammerfist narrowly misses your body, and you see your opening. His entire right side is wide-open!

“HAA HAAA!” you shout, delivering a quick one-two with your left to his jaw. Then as he tries a left hook you duck it as well, slamming your left fist square into his gut.
“GUUH-GYAAA!” Freeza shouts, as you follow up the heavy left with a powerful right hook to his jaw. Your last hit actually staggers Freeza as it knocks him off-balance, but despite seemingly being wide-open you don’t pursue him. Something’d warned you he was ready to counter, and sure enough after a second when you don’t pursue him he rises back to his full height. “It seems that at least your fighting instincts haven’t been dulled. Now, how about we-“

“Room for one more?” Meloka asks, your wife entering the chamber in her own training uniform via Instant Transmission. “Or are you two gonna keep smacking each other around for awhile longer?”
“Mornin’ hun.” you reply, Freeza not taking the opportunity to go for a cheap shot while you’re distracted. Which just goes to show why he’s so much better than his brother, Cooler.
“Hello, Meloka.” Freeza says. “Shouldn’t you, you know, transform back down when training?”
“Yeah, about that.” she replies, taking a deep breath and sighing out as her powerlevel plummets. Yet, somehow she doesn’t transform back down. “Seems I’ve spent so much time in this form, it doesn’t seem like I can.”

You and Freeza share a look, you seeing your worry mirrored in his own expression. That can’t be right. Can it?

“Anyways, you guys gonna keep goin’?” she asks, changing the subject. “Or are you gonna get back to training, and save the sparring for outside the chamber?”

Well?
>Keep sparring with Freeza, you’re just getting into your groove

“Ahh, you’re right hun.” you reply, dropping your arms. “I do need to focus on getting back to full power. Once I’m ready we’ll do this again Lord Freeza, but for now let’s get back to training.”
“Very well, I shall wait for you to reattain your full strength.” Freeza replies, sighing out and shrinking back to his small first form. “But you’d better not take too long, or your wife may replace you for my sparring partner.”

And so you return to your daily training, pushing your body harder and harder with each passing day. And sure enough, after a week of near-constant pushing yourself, the aches in your muscles and bones after the day’s training are far, far less severe than they were after the day you sparred with Freeza. In fact, after all’s said and done, you feel more ready to take the battle to the Covenant than before you went under. Yet the day the supply ships arrived, you received news. From Chaya.

“Hey Daddy, guess what?” your eldest daughter thinks to you. “We did it! We killed the Hive Queen?”
“Really? That’s great Chaya.” you reply. “You have any problems with those monsters?”
“Yeah, they were really strong! And the Queen was super strong!” she replies, then gives you news you weren’t prepared for. “She was made by that bad guy you fought, Nefarious!”
“Wait what?!” you ask, your entire body tensing up at hearing that name. Nefarious. That Grey bastard has been no end of headaches for you, and even though he’s been dead for years, his creations still pop up from time to time. If that new Hive Queen was made by him, it would explain their sudden aggression towards New Salda. “You’re sure she said Nefarious?”
“Uh huh, she said her ‘daddy’ made her to kill you.” she says calmly. “But I kicked her butt! Oh, and guess what else?”
“What?” you ask, feeling a sense of foreboding.

“I went Golden Oozaru!” she replies excitedly, this stopping your mind in it’s tracks. She went Golden Oozaru? More importantly, she was pushed to the point she had to risk that form?! Just what the hell happened out there? “And I met your friend, that old guy named... Oh hell, what was his name again? Mechabuki? Mekkakabba?”
“Mechikabura?” you ask her, your worry growing more intense.
“Yeah, that’s him!” she replies, oblivious to your growing worry. “He saved both Broly an’ Radi from gettin’ killed, all without letting that mean time kai know he did it!”
cont
>>
>>4488336
“Really?” you ask, mind furiously working through this information. Mechikabura has not only been observing you, but is actually watching over your children and supposedly keeping them safe as well. Which makes you wonder, can he really be the terror that Fu seemed so worried about? You haven’t been able to communicate with her since your visit to the Time Patrol’s headquarters, and have only spoken through Fu. Or, perhaps Fu is the one not speaking the truth, and manipulating you all along? You have a whole bunch of questions, and no answers. “Well, I’m glad you all are alright.”

“Yeah, but I lost my sword.” she replies, sadness radiating through the mental link. “An’ poor Broly, his shield got shattered right when he needed it, and stabbed right through. But Cauli fixed him right up.”
“That’s good, you all going home now?” you ask, the two kf sharing a bit of small talk after she confirms but before she says she has to go back to her practice. “I’ll see you soon, when this is all over.”
“Okay! See ya when you get home!” she replies, ending the mental link. You then sit right where you are, trying to decide what to do.

Before doing anything else, you need more information. So you close your eyes, and telepathically reach out to your adopted son, Broly.

“Hey kiddo, I heard you guys won the war.” you think to him. “Everyone make it out okay?”
“We all made it.” he replies, his tone less-than-enthusiastic. “But I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t protect everyone. Especially from that monster. Their queen. I couldn’t stop her, and because of me, Cauli...She...”
“It’s okay, you don’t have to say anymore.” you say to him, his frustration radiating to you through the link. “But everyone lived, right? It all worked out for the best.”
“This time.” he replies. “But I couldn’t fight her. Even going all-out and Ascending, she swatted me aside like I was a fly. If it wasn’t for Chilli’s quick thinking with a Power Ball and Chaya didn’t go Golden Oozaru, we would have all been killed. I couldn’t save my family.”

“Broly, listen to me son. I know how that feels.” you tell him telepathically. “Believe me, I’ve felt that way a lot over the years. Ask Ubo about Demongo, Leyas, and Sarada when you get back if you don’t believe me. But you can’t just sit around feeling sorry for yourself. Yes it hurts, but you can use that pain. Focus your anger into your training. When you’re about to quit, think back to how you’re feeling right now. And use these feeling to further harden your resolve, to redouble your training and surpass who you were. Break through your limits, and become stronger than ever before.”
“I understand.” he replies, then after several seconds of silence. “Thanks Dad. I needed to hear that.”
“I’m always here for you son.” you reply, then attempt to steer the conversation and maybe help improve his mood. “So, I heard you managed to break that giant shield of yours. How many heads did you have to crack for that to happen?”

You spend what feels like another few minutes talking with your son, catching up with him and how he’s been doing in the week leading up to, and since offing the Hive Queen. After talking with him, and Broly going to refocus on his training you realize something else important: Broly never met Mechikabura. You didn’t say his name, but unlike Chaya he never saw an elderly, blue-skinned demon god. But before you can ponder this question for too long, the Lucrehulk’s alarms begin going off.

“Ah, hell.” you mutter, pushing yourself back to your feet. “What’s going on now?”

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 142 paused-

And that’s it for tonight, everyone having fun? Ready to begin the final act of the Covenant war, and finally take the battle to the worms? Curious what’s going on now, and what else is in store? All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest resumes!

QM QUESTIONS

Since this episode was cut short, we will be resuming this episode this coming Saturday. Also, while the thread’s not done, I will be posting, not an epilogue but an intermission featuring the happiest daughter Caulifla. In the meantime, @Robo_sama has delivered once more! So this time we’ll be doing the questions a bit differently. As always your thoughts and comments on specifics are welcome, but what are your ideas on the quest as a whole? The overall directions and story themes we’ve explored so far, as well as how the characters have progressed.

And to all the others who’re willing to take up doing commissioned art work for the quest, please take the time to dm me on the quest twitter account @GrandDragonQM.
>>
>>4492232
Robo_Sama never fails to deliver
>what are your ideas on the quest as a whole?
I’ve been here since day one, so I’d say this quest is pretty great on account of keeping me hooked for this long. It’s been fun watching the characters grow and mature over the years, the friendship between Karn and Frieza is perhaps my favorite dynamic. It’s been a blast participating in this quest these past 3 years and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
>>
>>4492232
>but what are your ideas on the quest as a whole?
Besides scheduling being a bummer, I'm liking where the story is at currently as well as the upcoming shift back to our regular lives.
It'll be a long time coming for a lot of things.
>we'll finally be done with the Covenant and avenge our fallen kin
>the Hive will no longer be a pain the galaxy's collective asses
>the kids are gonna be back and hopefully they'll have a gained a lot of experience during their war
>we might actually get to spend some time with Towa's side of the family again
>we'll be able to issue a proper challenge to the Supreme Kai

>The overall directions and story themes we’ve explored so far
I'm personally enjoying the themes you've been throwing out there, even if they do fly over our heads some times.
It brings the kind of depth necessary to actually have real moments people give a shit about, though the characterization of our allies also helps in that.

>as well as how the characters have progressed
I love how distinct our kids are getting as they get older. It's to be expected, but it's interesting to see how they all diverge and become their own people.
Especially Chaya, while her naivety is annoying to me as somebody who knows she needs to be better, it's interesting that she has a flaw that glaring that actually matters, unlike (for example) Goku.
>>
>>4492400
>these past 3 years

>>
>>4492400
>Robo_Sama never fails to deliver
You right
>a day 1 fan
I still can hardly believe anyone toughed it out through those early threads and my garbage formatting.
>the friendship between Karn and Frieza is perhaps my favorite dynamic
I am so glad anons pursued that route. This quest wouldn’t have been the same otherwise.
>and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Strap in, because this ride isn’t stopping anytime soon
>>4492425
>It'll be a long time coming for a lot of things.
Yes. The end of these wars will be the end of an era for this quest. The PTO will be the dominant force in the universe, and with that comes a noticeable shift in focus. If you all defeat the Covenant, of course, as victory isn’t guaranteed.
>It brings the kind of depth necessary to actually have real moments people give a shit about, though the characterization of our allies also helps in that.
Yes. As one anon put it:
>YFW we ran a quest about the true worth of a life, and that love can conquer all, with family and friends being the core of our strength, and not some vague grasp for power or prestige.
>YFW we tell all of this to our people, and bring our people even higher peaks of power never seen before.
>We taught the one thing that stands out above all.
>We aren't disposable. And neither are the ones we cherish
It’s great.
>I love how distinct our kids are getting as they get older. It's to be expected, but it's interesting to see how they all diverge and become their own people.
No two of your children are exactly alike, even the twins who read each others minds so constantly they created a third consciousness are identical.
>>4492482
Yes it has. We’ve all come a long way since then. The only thing that hasn’t changed is that your qm is still a filthy phone poster
>>
>>4492982
Let's be real. If Karn was at death's door (not the stand), his last act would be to wish the covenant out of existence or something like that.
Even if we lose, they'll lose.
>>
>>4492982
>I still can hardly believe anyone toughed it out through those early threads and my garbage formatting.
I think a lot of us had gotten used to SOM and his quantum fuckery at that point so it wasn't a big deal. It'sall good though, the only way from the bottom is up after all. And you've improved a lot over the years. Honestly one of the better QMs in general at this point.
>>
>>4493129
>SOM
I don't remember the specifics of his quests all that much, I know I read some of them but can't remember if I followed them that closely. Were those the ones where the protagonist would get absolutely fucked/killed out of nowhere for barely missing a dice check, or am I thinking of somebody else?
>>
>>4493163
No, that’s SOM. One MC died from rocks fall everyone dies, and another once died from missing a DC by 2.
>>
>>4493163
SOM was always stupidly brutal with dice checks, it was made worse by the fact that his quests were plagued with bad rolls.
>>
>>4493163
Som was also the QM who constantly wanked off to how great Cell was and plot protected him through everything.

The most famous example I can remember hearing about was during the Semi Perfect Cell Fight, Semi-Perfect Cell grabbed Ultra Trunks in a bear hug, Even though Ultra Trunks was handing Semi-Perfect his ass like his name was Yamcha, Trunks had a stupidly high DC to out muscle Cell and break the Grapple, which failed, and then Cell immediatly drank Trunks dry and killed him.

I also remember hearing about Trunks and Super Piccolo getting Nat 100 on a combined Super Ki Blast attack and Imperfect Cell just regenerating like he was Majin Buu.

In another quest, a earthbending protag fell down a hole and hit his head, players decided trying to bend with a head injury was stupid, and decided to sleep in the whole until morning and get out then.

Then Som insta killed them for falling asleep with a concussion. Quest Over.
>>
>>4493187
>and then Cell immediatly drank Trunks dry and killed him.
I remember we all called SOM out on that bullshit and made him redo the whole fight.
>>
>>4493001
>Even if we lose, they'll lose.
He’s not Chilli. Any potential death-wish wouldn’t be as powerful as a Death Curse.
>>4493129
>SOM and his quantum fuckery
That’s a good way to put it. His Cell wank was kinda unbearable: if you don’t want your players to potentially kill off a character, then don’t introduce them. Cough Killua cough.
>And you've improved a lot over the years.
Can’t get much worse than the bottom.
>Honestly one of the better QMs in general at this point.
Thank you. Although as I’ve been writing longer and longer, it’s hard to read other QMs quests without trying to steer it where I can see they want their story to go.
>>4493163
Nah that’s him. Or the time the MC/Goku fusion got Mafuba’d on a 94/100 roll.
>>4493187
Yes. It’s okay for the QM to have their own waifu in a quest, but you can’t show too much heavy favoritism towards them. Like this quest, I bet you guys don’t actually know who my personal favorite character is.
>inb4 Aku

>>4493382
>I bet you guys don’t actually know who my personal favorite character is.

>>
>>4493515
No. If he were my favorite he’d have gotten much more screentime up until now
>>
>>4493518
Damn, I was hoping you would reveal some sort of massive side story featuring him behind the scenes where he does things like fight off the 99 out of 100 assassins that never make it to Karn.
>>
>>4493515
>Camali
I completely forgot he was around
>>
>>4493523
>Damn, I was hoping you would reveal some sort of massive side story featuring him behind the scenes where he does things like fight off the 99 out of 100 assassins that never make it to Karn.
I mean it's no secret that Camali is adept at weeding out assassins. I imagine he ends up dragging one home after his daily walks with Tatsu.
Speaking of, I kinda want to get serious about training with him again. Having the Rope-A-Dope style as a kind of secret weapon would be nice.
Anything to stop us from getting to static in our rhythm and strategies, especially now that most of our enemies are training with Karn in mind.
>>
>>4493523
I’m not saying he COULDN’T have his own spinoff series, merely that he isn’t my favorite.
>>4493544
He’s back on New Salda, not around on the ship. He retired after all, and didn’t sign up for this war.
>>4493645
Having more than one fighting style you can switch between is extremely effective at countering multiple types of enemies. As you saw with Freeza, he wasn’t prepared for your fighting style to change so drastically. Granted he was holding back, but in that exchange he didn’t land a single hit on you.
>especially now that most of our enemies are training with Karn in mind.
Believe it or not, Chaya currently has more enemies as Dreadzone’s champion than Karn does.
>>
>>4493829
>Believe it or not, Chaya currently has more enemies as Dreadzone’s champion than Karn does.
Thats because we've killed, intimidated, or befriended most of our enemies into being nonissues.
>>
>>4493838
Combine that with the fact that we're fading from the public eye while Chaya is a media darling, and we have quite a comfortable balance of a fierce reputation and general obscurity.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 142 Epilogue, Part One-

AGE 749, VOX’S FLAGSHIP

“What a week.” you say, dropping your fiery blade into the special fireplace in your room before flopping onto your bed. You are Caulifla, wielder of both ancient divine powers and the mighty Stand Triumph. “The Smiling Angel” is the nickname you ended up with during the war against the Hive’s monsters, several of the competitors having taken to calling you that after you’d healed them from wounds that would certainly have been fatal. But thanks to Gwyndolin’s miracles, and Triumph’s amazing healing powers, you saved your allies’ lives over and over and over again. Even Broly, the single strongest one of you on this campaign needed your help from time to time, as he insisted on always getting between others and danger.

But now that the war is over, and the Hive monsters aren’t attacking anyone anymore, you’re finally on your way back home. As much as you were glad to be here beside your family, healing and protecting them from the buggy monsters, you’ve had enough war for awhile. So you toss your armor off, pull the blankets up over your head, and go to bed without worrying about getting stabbed in your sleep. Which is, of course, why it happens. You’d been asleep for some time when a very familiar noise snaps you awake.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

“Uh-oh.” you mutter, springing up and quickly getting dressed in your armor. Thanks to repeated practice from this war, and the constant irregular sleep interrupted by alarms, you’re fully dressed and holding your sword and chime within twenty seconds. “Alright, jerk! I hope you’re ready!”

Seconds pass, and the only noise you hear the ship’s recirculating air vent behind you as you face your door, ready for battle. But as your enemy doesn’t appear, you begin to worry. What if they aren’t here for you? What if whoever it is, is actually going after your family? You can’t just sit here and wait, you have to go! So you reach your tail around, taking the sacred chime from your left hand as you allow that dark energy to radiate out from it once more. The circular shield springs out from your outstretched left hand, you walking to the door, ready to face whatever’s out there. The door slides open, you stepping out into the hallway enough to look down both paths. Okay, both ways are clear. But where do you go now?

“I know.” you say with a snap, plan forming. As you think up your plan, which is mostly remembering others’ plans, you grab a handful of the glowing stones someone’d given you. The woman in question had used them to draw the invading enemies right to her, and now you’ll do the same. Turning towards the left path you begin walking, and drop one of the stones behind you.
>>
>>4494929
You cautiously make your way down the empty halls, dropping the stones every so often. They shine in a variety of colors, making a trail that leads right to you. And if you’ve learned anything in your time as a Blade of the Darkmoon, it’s that everyone follows these glowing stone trails. You follow them all the time in other people’s worlds, more often than not leading you to the person you’re there to protect. So tonight, you want to lead the enemy right to you. And the gravity chamber.

“Finally.” you say, dropping a trio of stones outside the door before opening it. Walking into the pressurization room you close the door behind you, it adjusting back up to New Salda’s gravity before unlocking the inner door. You open it and walk inside, seeing a familiar face is already here. “Oh, hey Chaya.”
“Cauli? What’re you doing up this late?” she asks, your sister holding one of her weight bars on her shoulders while standing then slowly squatting over and over. You glance to where she’s looking, and see the familiar red recording light on her setup. Your sister’s streaming her workouts again. She glances over her shoulder at you a moment before turning back to the screen, tone more serious than before. “Trouble?”

“Trouble.” you reply, walking into the middle of the room then turning to face the single doorway. The enemy can only come at you from one way now. “This time I’m the one the bad guys are after. You can’t hit them, but luckily the red ghosts can’t hit you either.”
“Aww, dammit.” Chaya says with a disappointed sigh, turning her attention back to her camera and talking to her fans. “Lucky you guys, you’ll get to see another fight tonight!”
“Wait, another?” you ask, but before you get an answer from her the door opens. Both you and Chaya’s heads snap to the door, you seeing an awfully familiar form walking in. Once more you find yourself facing off against a skeletal warrior, heavy sword in the right and dark energy radiating from their left. Setting the sack of glowing stones down, you pass the chime from your tail to left hand as you take your fighting stance. “Alright, hope you’re ready to lose!”

And the phantom doesn’t answer, taking a moment to give a rather dignified bow before the start of the fight. Lucky you, this one acts like it won’t fight dirty. Maybe. Hopefully.
>>
>>4494930
“Alright guys, here we go!” Chaya says, still talking to her fans but now commentating like her announcer pals Dallas and Juanita do. “Cauli vs the red phantom, who do you think’s gonna win? Hey, mods, hit us with some Track 10.”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=CvTLAHHEvxA

“If you won’t make the first move, then I will!” you say, ringing the chime in your left hand as you lift it overhead and recite the tale of Lord Gwyn. As you speak of his mighty lightning bolts, one materializes in your left hand. The red phantom isn’t impressed, simply raising it’s left hand and creating the dark magical shield between you. “HAAA!!”

Your divine lightning bolt launches from your hand, but the skeleton invader doesn’t actually block the hit. Just as your attack is about to strike the phantom leaps forward at the attack, vanishing near-instantly. Less than a second later the skeleton reappears past your attack, much closer to you now.

“The hell?!” Chaya shouts, confused. Luckily you’ve seen this before and know how it works, so your attacker doesn’t get to close in effortlessly. So as the phantom vanishes again you hop backwards, and when it reappears you both are still the same distance apart. “Cauli what the fuck’s going on?!”
“Don’t worry, I’ve dealt with this before.” you say, pointing your sword at the invader. “And thanks to Chilli’s help, I can now use this sword’s true power!”

“Tch!” the phantom says, their voice wierdly modulated. But before it can try and close the distance you focus, sword transforming from a blade into a stream of flames. The red invader once more vanishes aside, first towards your right, then your left as you sweep the flames after them. But this last vanished closed the distance, the invader swinging down with the heavy, sharp blade. But you’re ready, spinning quickly clockwise and intercepting the blade with your own. Metal and flames clash, and to your surprise this phantom is strong. In fact, it’s strength may be more than your own, almost pushing your weapon back into you. But you manage to hold it back, planting your feet and resisting this fighter’s surprising power.

“You’re pretty strong.” you say, tail grabbing the chime from your hand. “But let’s see how you handle THIS!!”

And as you shout you twist, spinning counterclockwise and letting the phantom’s blade slide past you while you bring your left elbow up. You feel a crack, the point of your elbow’s impact to the phantom’s helmet cracking it and sending it’s owner tumbling. As the phantom rolls you see pieces of the skull helm break off, shattering on the ground under the gravity’s pull. While phantoms are immune to alternate gravity, their gear isn’t when dropped. And as the warrior’s helm shatters fully you and Chaya both gasp in surprise.
>>
>>4494932
“Tch!” the woman says, clutching her face with her left hand as phantom blood pours from between her fingers for several moments. “That one actually hurt, you’ll pay for that.”
“Who’re you?” you ask, again pointing your blade at the woman. She rises back to her feet, you seeing a dark haired woman with glowing red eyes scowling furiously at you. “And why are you here?”
“Isn’t it obvious, forktongue?” she asks, smirking as she pulls out a chime like yours from her pocket. But that one’s different, covered in crystals like those Chilli makes. She lifts the chime, ringing it once, and five orbs of darkness appear over her head. “I’m here to kill you.”

“Ha! You’re gonna need bigger guns than that!” Chaya shouts at her, your sister clearly engaged in the fight unfolding. “C’mon Cauli, kick her ass!”
“It’s not that easy.” you say, eyeing the Pursuers warily. You’ve been hit by those before, and they hurt. Not even on a physical level, as the attacks leave no visible evidence behind. But your heart, your you, is very, very vulnerable to Dark. You try conjuring Triumph, but unfortunately your Stand is still in it’s dormant, ball-like form. Dammit, you’re really on your own this time. It’s gonna take everything you’ve got to win this! “That Dark is dangerous.”

“HA! You dare decry the Dark, while wielding the power of those so-called gods?!” she says incredulously, growinf louder and louder and not noticing you muttering a prayer under your breath. “The Dark wasn’t violent until your god desecrated us with their fire. We were to inherit this world, but they stole our destiny from us! We humans were to rule, not grovel beneath the boot of those flame lords!”
“I don’t know about all that.” you say, the Great Magic Barrier forming around you after your recital finishes. “But Gwyndolin gave me the power to protect my family! And now I’m gonna use it to defeat you!”
“You’ll die for your foolishness.” she says, a blade of darkness mirroring her right hand’s metal weapon quickly forming from the crystal chime. As she does this you mutter another quick prayer, recanting the tale the Darkmoon’s revenge against the dark while ringing the chime down your weapon’s length. And as you do the fire changes, changing to a deep amethyst hue as you enchant the magical blade with the full power of the Darkmoon Knights. Once done speaking the words you grab the chime with your tail, and grasp the enchanted magical blade with both hands.

“I won’t hold back!” you shout, transforming up into your Super Saiyan form. “Now, get out of my world. Or I’ll kill you.”

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 142 Part One End-

>>4494916
>Each of the Ginyu Force are mutants, in one way or another
Is Burter actually a mutant? Does being faster than average count as a mutation?
I guess it could make sense given his massive fucking frame. Is his species not quite as agile in comparison to other races?
>>
>>4494947
Nah he's a mutant because he's fucking huge. Bet his people are all a bunch of tiny skinny smurf looking fucks. They're all fast as shit but Burtur is just huge while retaining his big fastness.

That's my headcanon at least.
>>
And that’s part one, part two will release after this episode’s end. Ready to watch Caulifla throw down, and see what this Darkwraith has to offer?

>>4494947
Yes, and no. As for his species, you’ll have to simply wait and see.
>>4494960
Ha, nice
>>
>>4494935
Huh, another fanatic, or did someone actually find the lore of the Pygmies that Gwyn tired his best to bury?

Always sucks when the truth comes out about the Dark but Cauli's not part of that game outside of her time traveling.
>>
>>4494935
Did Cauli just DMB a fire damage weapon? That can't be legal.
>>
>>4495037
That’s the real question. And true, she hasn’t had anything to do with Gwyn. Yet. As they say, the flow of time is convoluted in Lordran.
>>4495049
>that can’t be legal
She can fly, but that’s illegal? And besides, both Gwyndolin and Yorksha like her. They’d allow her to channel Darkmoon Blade into an actual Darkwraith, if she was using said phantom to beat another Darkwraith like wielding a club.
>>
>>4495064
So I have to ask, what the fuck even is "divinity" at this point?
General we'd have a pretty good answer if it was just Dragonball stuff, but now we've got at least a 5 different divine pantheons and a dozens of psuedo-divine entities walking around.
What exactly distinguishes a God from a sufficiently strong mortal?
>>
>>4495079
>What exactly distinguishes a God from a sufficiently strong mortal?
God Ki, if we’re being literal. But I suppose if a mortal was strong enough they’d probably be seen as a god by others.
>>
>>4495093
>God Ki
But what the fuck does Divine Ki even do?
It's clearly not really required to be able to replicate a lot of the shit the Gods have been doing.
How is it different from regular Ki outside of providing more energy?
>>
>>4495079
>what makes a god?
Well I can’t just go around spoiling the future, post-timeskip arcs right here and now. But that will be a major theme in the future. Do worshippers make the god? Power? Or something more?
>>4495093
>God Ki, if we’re being literal.
But how is God ki made? What does it take for beings to become gods? Is it the energy that makes them divine, or is it becoming divine that generates that energy?
>>4495096
It’s different energy. How different, well, you’ll just have to wait and see
>>
>>4495099
Getting a little more topical, what exactly distinguishes the gods of Anor Londo from, for example, the Gods of Destruction or the Supreme Kai?
Do they have divine Ki? Are they just channeling the energy from their worshipers like personified Spirit-Bombs?
God I wish the actual series went more in depth on what the fuck Divine Ki even is this is so FUCKING FRUSTRATING.
>>
>>4495099
>But how is God ki made? What does it take for beings to become gods?
Outside of the Angels and maybe the Kaioshin, it seems to be an acquired trait in the DB series.
>Is it the energy that makes them divine, or is it becoming divine that generates that energy?
My guess would be a bit of column A and column B.
>>
>>4494932
So Caulifla now has pyromancy now, nice.
>>
Less than 24 hours before episode 142 returns!

>>4495104
Good question. Although to potentially distinguish between them you’d need to have your own, or at least sense, divine ki.
>>4495112
It’s a “to be explored” topic, for sure
>>4495286
Yes and no. Very, very limited
>>
>>4495493
Ya know, sort of off-topic, but I had another question.
What are the mechanics behind the Ultimate/Potential Unlocked?
Is it a transformation that you have to maintain or is it just a raw enhancement to your base form?
Does it stack with any other transformations?
>>
>>4495638
>Is it a transformation that you have to maintain or is it just a raw enhancement to your base form?
Yes. Although like most transformations, it can eventually be trained to the point it essentially becomes the base form. Like Meloka’s Super Saiyan 3 is now.
>Does it stack with any other transformations?
Yes. If you’re willing to put in the work. It’s harder to pull off than a Blue Kaioken, but a Potential Unleashed Super Saiyan would absolutely stomp even a Primal Saiyan of the same base.
>>
>>4495840
I can just imagine Potential Unleashed Mastered Legendary Super Saiyan.
It sounds fucking glorious, but I think I like the idea of Apex Berserker or Berserker God more.
Decisions, decisions...
>>
>>4495869
How about Potential Unleashed Mastered Legendary Super Saiyan 3? I'm a Berserker God supporter but if we do meet Elder Kai before Whis I might go for it.
And we've seen someone use Potential Unleashed with transformations. Hyoka (Trunks gf, budget Meloka) used it with Kaioken, she was at least decent with it.
>>
>>4495638
The (admittedly old) explanation for it, from the general DBZ community, is that it places your BASE form at around where your SS3 form would be, since that's what gohan seemed to be at when he got it.
Of course, we all know what Gohan did with such legendary power...
>>
>>4495928
Become less useful than sliced cheese?
>>
>>4495931
>Become less useful than sliced cheese?
Don't shit talk sliced cheese like that. It's important for sandwiches.
>>
>>4495896
I personally lean more towards Apex Primal, but I'd be happy with any of these options personally.
>>
>>4495936
True, what else is normally holey?
>>
>>4495896
>How about Potential Unleashed Mastered Legendary Super Saiyan 3?
I would be down to try, but I’m afraid it would take too much time to acquire.
>>
>>4495969
Well we might have a headstart for it, if we master SS3.
>>
>>4495958
Rusted metal, Batman.
>>
>>4496029
That can still be a cool ascetic, and at least has a natural reason to be the way it is.
>>
>>4495869
It might not stack with the Berserker line, at least within any reasonable timeframe
>>4495896
>And we've seen someone use Potential Unleashed with transformations. Hyoka (Trunks gf, budget Meloka) used it with Kaioken, she was at least decent with it.
She was able to keep up at the level of Super Saiyan 3s, as a human.
>>4495928
Remember, Buu saga gohan was EXPLICITLY stated to be weaker than he was during the Cell Saga, and Goku’s Super Saiyan 2 was stronger than Cell Saga Gohan’s. But Unleashed Gohan was far stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Goku. Much like Primal, it expressedly states to put your body into it’s potential physical peak as if you’d been training at your ‘Maximum Potential’.
>>
>>4495064
>That’s the real question. And true, she hasn’t had anything to do with Gwyn. Yet. As they say, the flow of time is convoluted in Lordran.
This just made me go big brain. Depending on how strong Cauli is, and what time period she meets Gwyn at, she might be able to beat him and use her Dark Hand to absorb his power/life force/ Divinity.
>>
>>4496199
>Remember, Buu saga gohan was EXPLICITLY stated to be weaker than he was during the Cell Saga
Physically weaker or just mentally unprepared? He was 11 during the Cell Saga, so in the 7 year jump he went through puberty (and was likely still growing as Buu came around).
I know ki is fucky with stuff like that, but wouldn't body growth and age play some part in it?
I have to imagine he was at roughly the same level of raw strength, if not slightly above it. He just came into it cold as fuck after 6-7 years of focusing exclusively on his studies.
Wasn't Dabura also stated to be roughly equivalent to Cell in terms of strength?
Gohan seemed to be about even with him during their fight.
Please tell me if I'm wrong on any of this.
>>
>>4496217
She could defeat him in a fight, potentially. But the Time Patrol would attempt to stop that from happening.
>>4496249
>Physically weaker or just-
Physically weaker, certainly. Vegeta and Goku both expressly stated that, in Super Saiyan 2, Gohan was noticably weaker against Dabura than he was against Cell. While he did go through puberty, he also wasn’t training. Like at all. He did also go into it cold, which didn’t help, but ‘teen’ Gohan would have beaten Buu-saga Gohan.
>Wasn't Dabura also stated to be roughly equivalent to Cell in terms of strength? Gohan seemed to be about even with him during their fight.
Yes, which actually demonstrates the problem in question. When Gohan went 2, Cell never landed a single hit on him until after he suicided.
>>
>>4496249
>Physically weaker or just mentally unprepared?
Physically. Vegeta and I think Goku too state that Gohan was weaker. After 7 years of zero training his base PL was much lower than it was at the cell games.
>Wasn't Dabura also stated to be roughly equivalent to Cell in terms of strength?
Goku states that he’s equal to Perfect Cell, we don’t know if he was referring to basic Perfect Cell or Super Perfect Cell. I believe he was referring to regular Perfect Cell because
>Gohan seemed to be about even with him during their fight.
SS2 Gohan after 7 years of slacking on training was able to go toe-to-toe with a Perfect Cell-tier enemy. Whereas when he was a teen, he completely man handled Perfect Cell.
>>
It's a good thing we're all collectively disappointed enough in Gohan to make up for the utter disinterest in parenting Goku had.
>>
>>4496507
Goku was only an irredeemably shit father when as Toyotaro starting writing him.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Karn met with the twins Tatsu and Tomi, and the third being their joined minds made calling itself Tomitsu, Karn returned via portal to the Lucrehulk. Addressing a large gathering of Saiyans, Jiralhanae, and other PTO officials and fighters, he explained what happened to himself with the Arbiter’s sore loser bomb and it’s complications, the enemy teleporter who’d been bringing assassins, Guldo being the one who’d finally slayed it, then encouraged everyone to redouble their efforts going forward. The next day and the following week Karn trained hard, pushing his body back to it’s previous physical condition. And after speaking telepathically with Chaya and Broly, learning of the Hive’s defeat and Mechikabura’s influence protecting Broly and Raditz, we now rejoin Karn just in time for a ship-wide emergency alarm.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=AfuQd_xZlKw

“Ah, hell. What’s going on now?” you mutter, pushing yourself back to your feet as you reach out telepathically. “Arctus, what’s going on?”
“We’ve got a problem.” Freeza’s alcoholic genuis who’d built the Lucrehulk from ancient plans replies. “Dozens, no. Hundreds of enemy ships have suddenly appeared just outside of Sanghelios’s atmosphere! There wasn’t anything within three star systems just a few minutes ago, but now they’re here.”
“Dammit, thanks for the heads up.” you reply, ending the conversation with him and focusing on a different target: your wife Meloka. “Hun, enemy fleet just appeared overhead. Where are you?”
“I have Karn Jr here in our room.” she replies, her nervous tension bleeding through the mental link. “I’ve got him. Unless you’d rather stay here, while I handle them?”

She didn’t outright say it, but despite a week’s worth of busting your ass, you aren’t quite back to one hundred percent yet. Your power may be greater than ever before, yet your body still isn’t moving quite as fast and easily as it should be. Your recovery from two weeks of being in a coma is going slower than you’d thought.

But what do you do?
>You’ll handle them yourself, have Meloka stay in the ship and protect Karn Jr

Love doctor white, but if an assassin shows up he won’t be able to stop them. And Meloka’s better for long range fleet engagement stuff anyways, even when we ARE at 100%.

Idk man, feel like with her versatility Meloka is better built to deal with any threats. And it feels almost like they'll have something if we try to just blow them all away, like with how Sanghelios couldn't be blasted away.

Think of it this way, fighting ships will be less straining then trying to get out of dodge with the baby. More importantly We need to send a message, the bomb failed.

Without replying you raise your right hand, pressing your first two fingers to your forehead. And after a moment’s focus you teleport, your Instant Transmission bringing you right to Meloka’s side.

“Go ahead, I’ll stay with him.” you say, Meloka kissing Karn Jr on the forehead before handing him over to you. Your wife then strips out of her gi, quickly donning her armor and even grabbing her dual maces from under the bed. She spins each one once, takes a few practice swings with each then walks back over to you. “Show them all you’re back hun.”
“Oh, I will.” she replies, kissing you deep for several seconds before pulling back. “You sure?”
“Go ahead. You’ve been out of the fight longer than I have.” you reply. “I think it’s time our enemies fear you too.”
“Oh, they will.” she replies, smirking as she uses Instant Transmission to vanish. You focus your own ki senses, feeling both your wife and Freeza are already outside and flying a good distance over the ship.

“Aaaah! Maaaa!” Karn Jr says confused, hands clasping futilely towards where Meloka vanished from. “Maaaaaaaa!”
“Shhh, it’s okay kiddo.” you say, taking a seat on the bed and turning your son towards you on your lap. “She’ll be right back.”

But your son isn’t having any of it, and starts screaming even louder now. So you do as you’d done many times before back when Planet Vegeta was all you knew, and hold him to your chest.

“Shhhh, it’s okay. Everything’s gonna be okay.” you tell your son, gently rocking him. And sure enough, after a minute or two he finally begins settling down. Which is, of course, when you hear it. The two ball droids, which are stationed outside your rooms’ main door, both begin firing their weapons. “Well, that can’t be good. C’mon little guy, we may have to deal with some trouble.
“Ahh!” your son replies, you holding him to you with your left as you walk down the stairs, seeing several of your old crewmates with taken Covenant weapons all pointing at the door. You hold position, everyone’s weapons pointed at the door on your left. For a few more seconds you hear the droids’ weapons still firing, then it goes quiet. A heartbeat or two later a familiar pair of blades stab through the doors, slicing down through between them and slowly cutting through the lock. You glance to your allies, who’re all looking nervously between you and the door.

What do you do now?
>Step out between your people and the door, and blast whoever’s cutting through as soon as the doors open
>Stay in place, attack the enemy from where you are and help the surprise bombardment
>Leave Karn Jr here at the bottom of the stairs, rush and charge down the doors to crush whoever’s there behind them

You look to your men, nod silently and raise your right hand towards the door while keeping yourself mostly hidden. Don’t want Karn Jr caught up in any crossfire. Focusing your energy into your fingertips, a pinpoint of light forming on each one as you prepare to fire a Scatter Beam. Everyone’s silent, waiting for the enemy to break the door down to open fire. And after a few more seconds their Energy Blade does it’s work, cutting through the doors’ massive bolt. And with the lock undone the automatic doors begin sliding open, revealing your enemies. A dozen or so Sangheili are waiting in the hall, who try and rush in as soon as the doors start opening.

“FIRE!” you order, unleashing your ki. Five piercing beams of death fire forth, the unfortunate frontman taking three of them right to the chest. Your piercing beams hit several of the Sangheili, stopping their charge right in it’s tracks before they can build momentum. And that’s when your crew open fire. Many wield Covenant rifles and carbines, launching a mix of physical and energy projectiles at them. Even Dr. White is there firing at the enemy with his own weapon, a strange pistol with seemingly two seperate magazines feeding it. Between your initial attack and your crew’s suppressive fire, the Covenant are forced to back away from the door and deploy one of their energy shields.

“Shield’s up, everyone reload.” Orlen calls out, stepping out of the doorway directly across the entrance and wielding one of the Jiralhanae explosive launchers. “I’ll cover you!”

And as he shouts he begins firing the weapon, explosive shells blasting ineffectually against their barrier. But that’s not the point, your pilot isn’t trying to kill them himself. The explosions keep the Covenant pinned down behind their shield, like the cowards they are while your team all get to reload their weapons and once more take aim. After Orlen’s heavy weapon runs dry he drops it, instead drawing a pair of strange weapons and pointing them both at the shield. For their part the Covenant don’t rush in blindly, the five dead bodies between them and your crew a clear warning not to underestimate them. After a couple seconds of silence their shield begins flickering, the device nearly spent, but instead of attacking or retreating they simply activate a second shield, remaining in place.

“This isn’t right.” you think to yourself. There’s clearly something up. But what? All at once it makes sense, you focusing intensely on your ki sense. And sure enough, two invisible Sangheili have moved past their shield and into the room!
cont
>>
>>4497185
“No you don’t!” you shout, stepping into the room. And with a sweeping motion of your right hand unleash a wide Death Slash. And sweeping your blade of death across the middle of the room, you feel it cut through two beings you couldn’t see. You end the attack, watching as two splitjaws become visible, each one falling in halves to the ground.
“There he is! Get him!” one of the others shout out, the remaining splitjaws all rushing at you immediately. Forgetting something very, very important.

“FIRE!!” shouts Appule this time, your allies all unleashing a storm of fire as the enraged Sangheili try and rush you. Three are cut down before they can get close, leaving you in a two on one as your allies can’t risk shooting at you. They both rush in blades first, you flipping backwards and dodging their opening horizontal slashing strikes. Then the two on one becomes a two versus two, as you receive some unexpected support.
“WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” Karn Jr screams, his power spiking and catching all three of you by surprise. But that’s nothing compared to what happens next, as Karn Jr then screams a Mouth Blast at the splitjaws. Your son’s attack catches the both of them flat-footed, a wave of powerful golden energy slamming into them both and launching them backwards. He wasn’t strong enough to outright kill them, yet his blast actually knocked them more than a dozen feet back. Which your team take advantage of, swiftly slaughtering them in a hail of bullets and lasers before they can activate another shield or flee. And just like that, a dozen Sangheili have been wiped out.

“What...was that?” you ask your son, still completely shocked. For his part your son just looks up to you curiously then smiles, giggling to himself innocently. His power spiked way higher than it reasonably should have there, the hell was that? Questions for later.

But what do you do right now?

Right now, you need to focus. You can worry and wonder about Karn Jr later, for now you have to keep yourself and your people alive. So you turn to them, addressing the room.

“Well done everyone. Pile their bodies before the door, after I leave.” you tell them, your crew looking at you shocked. So you address it. “Look, those bastards are looking for me. So I’m heading out there, and drawing them away from you all while I make sure everyone else is okay. I know they won’t take this room from you all.”
“Now not time for speeches.” Dr. White says casually, ejecting both magazines from his pistol and struggling a moment to fit each new one in place. Where has he even kept that thing, you’ve never even seen him draw a weapon before. You really don’t know that much about his past. “Go. We will not fall.”
“BAAAA!” Karn Jr shouts at him excitedly, causing a bit of nervous laughter to rise up from among everyone. So you salute, then turn and start marching down the corpse-strewn hallway.

After the first turn the hallways return to normal, no evidence present of an invading enemy force. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t already here, you keeping your ki sense tuned for anyone or anything approaching you. But no enemies are present, at least in the control center’s living area. So you reach out to the one who can better direct your efforts.

“Talk to me.” you think, telepathically reaching out to your Lucrehulk’s builder, Arctus. “Where are they?”
“Wait, some are already inside?” he asks, you sensing his sudden alarm through the mental link. After what feels like an eternity later, yet could’ve only been a few seconds, he finally replies. “Head down to the reactor, right now. I’m sending the shortest route to you via scouter, I’ll meet you there.”
“Done.” you reply, taking off at a sprint. You rush down deeper into the control center, heading for the main reactor. And sure enough as you get closer you can sense them, several dozen what can only be Sangheili or their worm monsters have gathered. Just outside reactor you meet Arctus, who’s looking over another pair of his destroyed Droidekas.
“They’re in there.” he says, you nodding to him. The doors had been hastily welded shut, which is no actual problem for either of you. So you clench your fists, transform into your Super Saiyan form, and kick.
cont
>>
>>4497325
Your transformed power blows the doors right out of their tracks, the two heavy slabs of metal crashing to the ground with a massive sound. More than two dozen, closer to three figures all turn towards you and Arctus simultaneously.

“I’m feeling generous, what with my son here and all, so I’m giving you all a chance.” you call out, addressing the Covenant sabotage team as one. “Put your weapons on the ground, and your hands above your head. If you do that, then you’ll live. Or, if-“

And before you can finish that sentence one Sangheili in the far back fires a beam of energy right for Karn Jr! Snarling you unleash your full power, transforming into your massive Berserker form. As you do this, growing another couple feet taller jerks your son up and out of the way, the shot hitting you in the lower torso instead of it’s intended target. And suddenly you don’t feel quite so merciful.

“So you have chosen death.” you say, and shielding your son with your left arm you go on the attack. Dashing the distance between you faster than any of the splitjaws or worm colonies can react, you grab the offending rifle barrel, break it off the weapon, then slam it down like a pickaxe right through the Sangheili’s skull. The moron didn’t even have time to blink, dead before he even knew what had happened. The dead splitjaw’s body slumps lifelessly to the ground, and as one the enemy attack. The worm creatures all fire their energy cannons at your back, which you don’t even try and dodge. Instead you focus, forming your Barrier around your body and let their energy attacks pound the shield ineffectually as you turn back around. And, to the Covenant’s surprise, you aren’t the only threat here. Arctus, in his own transformed state is clashing blades with three of the splitjaws, his skill advantage quickly becomes apparent. Despite their no-doubt longer times training with their tools, Arctus is clearly faster and his weapon is a far more precise tool, so despite being outnumbered it looks like an unfair fight for the Covenant. Within seconds he’s butchered all the sword-wielding splitjaws, leaving only the worms and the ranged Sangheili.

How do you wrap this up?
>Keep your shield up until the Covenant quit focusing their fire on you, then rush in
>Keep the Barrier going, let Arctus cut them down while you distract the others
>Leave Karn Jr inside the Barrier, rush our and crush them with your bare hands

With Arctus going on the offensive, and most of the remaining Covenant fighters’ attention on you, you need to keep it that way. And you know just the trick.

“Is this all you’ve got?” you shout out, talking down to the Covenant fighters trying to kill you. “Seriously? This is just pathetic, my newborn son here hits harder than any of you. At this point I’d feel kinda bad killing off such weaklings.”
“You dare mock the Blades?!” one shouts furiously, it tossing it’s rifle aside then drawing an Energy Blade and dashing right at you. You smirk, keeping your Barrier up as he closes the distance and pulls his blade back to cut you down. And as soon as he passes through your Barrier you move, grabbing his entire forearm with your right hand. “Wh-What?!”
“Foolish.” you say, squeezing down a bit and shattering his arm. The Sangheili screams in pain, trying to drop to his knees as he clutches desperately at his arm. But since this moron volunteered to help you distract your enemies you don’t let him go, instead lifting him up to your height. “I gave you all a chance to live. But instead of accepting my mercy, you chose to die.”

With a small effort to keep the Barrier going simultaneously you firing your Eye Beams, slicing off both your victim’s legs at the knees. His screams become louder and more desperate, causing Karn Jr to start crying as well. But unlike the splitjaw, your son’s powerlevel begins rising. And rising and rising, within seconds lightning dances around him as his golden aura flares up. You turn your attention from the crippled Sangheili to your son, consoling him and holding him to you and covering his ears so he doesn’t hear the screams. But while you were consoling your son the maimed Sangheili hadn’t given up yet, drawing a grenade with his remaining hand.

“I won’t die alone!” he shouts, eyes resolute. So instead of shooting the grenade you instead drop your Barrier, leaping backwards away from him. “Saiya-!”

BOOM

His energy grenade explodes, consuming him in a cloud of destructive energy. Then after a moment it vanishes, revealing the splitjaw’s mangled corpse.

“Hmph, a fighter to the end.” you say, speaking directly to the body. “At least I can respect that much.”
“You heartless bastard! D-!” another Splitjaw shouts, aiming at you. But before he can shoot, Arctus’s blue energy sword pierces right through his chest from behind. “Ah?! N-No.”

And before he can say anything else, Arctus pulls his blade upwards and splitting it’s upper body in half. The corpse slumps forward, Arctus deactivating his weapon and returning it to his belt. And just like that, the reactor has been cleared.

“I’ll stay here, and sweep the reactor.” Arctus says to you. “I have to make sure they haven’t damaged anything, or left any nasty surprises hiding for us.”
“If you need me, just call.” you say, tapping the side of your hand with your right hand.
“BAAAA!” Karn Jr shouts, clumsily trying to copy you and ends up slapping the side of his head. You and Arctus chuckle at your son being adorable, then you turn and leave the reactor. You have no idea where anyone else is, as far as Covenant invaders go. With the reactor secured, thankfully the entire ship now won’t get destroyed in a massive fiery explosion. But that doesn’t mean this battle’s over yet.

Where do you go now?
>Back to your crew’s quarters, and make sure they’re safe

Our students can handle themselves, and our old crew definitely isn't a priority target.
The only thing we can really count on is the bad blood between the Sangheili and Jiralhanae. They could probably use some fire support.

80/100. You’re pretty observant, writing.

“I’ll keep watch, you focus on making sure it’s clear.” you call back to him from the doorway, them plant your feet. If anyone wants to get to Arctus, they’ll have to go through you first. And since the single-path hallway is clear, you focus your mind and reach out to several individuals.

“Hey everyone, I’m in reactor with Arctus.” you think out to them. “What’s the situation elsewhere?”
“Filthy splitjaws are here!” Tiveus Relezeus replies first. “But they won’t get through us, and your Ginyu Force!”
“Same here, we have a lot of them trying to get in.” Lattu answers, Nion confirming. “We’re holding the line, they won’t get through us so easily!”
“So that’s where you are.” Nappa says. “Vegeta an’ I are shooting down their dropships by the dozens, but more and more just keep coming. Your wife and Freeza took the fight out to space, and I’d say about two thirds of their fleet have already been destroyed. Just hold out, we’re winning.”
“Everyone, stay on your toes.” you reply. “If you see anything unexplainable, or need backup, let me know and I’ll be right there.”
“I don’t need ya holdin’ my hand!” Tiveus replies, ending the link. Everyone else clearly enjoys his joke, them all disconnecting as well. Leaving you standing alone in an empty hall, just you and your son.

“Aaaaah?” he says, leaning so far right his head is leaning nearly ninety degrees. “AAAAAaaaaaa.”
“Whatcha doin’ kiddo?” you ask, holding him out and turning him the way he’s leaning. Your son’s eyes widen in surprise, seeming shocked for several seconds before he starts laughing, eyes sparkling. When he then leans the other way you rotate him, turning him the other way straight upside down.
“Haaaaaaa! Aaaaaahahahahahaa!” he shouts, giggling then full belly laughing. For the next few minutes you play this with him, rotating him left and right as he leans his head. But you aren’t fully focused on your son, you also keep your ki sense honed sharp. But other than you, Karn Jr and Arctus, there isn’t another living being for hundreds of feet in any directi-wait, no. There is one. The signal is faint, probably not even a full five digit powerlevel, but you feel it coming closer. And sure enough, after another minute or two, you see a lone figure appear at the end of the hall. A single Kig-Yar, holding one of their beam rifles turns the corner, sighting you in nervously.

Well? What now?

You glare at the would-be sniper for a moment, then purposefully turn your attention from him back to you son. You hope this sends the message you want it to, but if there’s one thing you know, it’s the Covenant’s fighters have no honor. So despite seemingly averting your gaze back to your kid, your attention is razor-focused on him. If that bastard makes a single wrong move, it’s dead. You bend your knees slightly, ready to move if he so much as twitches. For several seconds the would-be assassin’s hands are shaking, the Kig Yar clearly terrified of you. But after several seconds his hands steady, as a second body appears around his and helps steady his weapon. He’s undeniably a Stand user, and you’re done playing nice. Without hesitation you dash right at the Stand user, closing the distance before he even notices and swing for his head.

“HRRYAAAA!!” you roar, punching the Stand user right in the face. But, instead of splattering him all over the hall, your fist sails right through him harmlessly. As it does your entire body feels strange, almost like when floating in zero gravity. “Wha-?!”

As you do, somehow Karn Jr slips right through your left arm and drops to the floor, stunned. Your momentum carries you into the wall( then to your surprise you go through it. What the hell’s going on here?!
“Sorry, Karn.” the user says, lowering his rifle and looking around as his Stand vanishes. He sees your son, and turns to face the wall you’d gone through as you float back out. “But it’s over now. My Stand, Major Tommu, has sent you to a mirror dimension far above this world when you tried to hit me. You’ll be able to see what happens, but like a spirit you will not be able to interact with the real world anymore. I would have rather shot you, but when you hit me, your fate was sealed. It’s over.”

“Daaa? DAAAAAA?!!” Karn Jr shouts, your son looking around frantically. You feel knives twisting around in your chest as your son calls out, left lost and alone because of that bastard. “DAAAAAAAAA!!”

“Dragon Force!” you shout, your crimson dragon Stand appearing wrapped around your right arm. “We have to undo this Stand’s effects, right now!”
“Is that a wish?” your Stand asks you seriously. “Then wish for it, and I shall do what I can.”

But before you can speak, Karn Jr screams. As your infant son roars, even from this strange mirror dimension you feel his latent power exploding forth once more.

“WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” Karn Jr roars, aura exploding out from him and actually knocking the Stand user over. Your son’s strength multiplies over and over, golden hair growing out down his back as lightning dances around him.
“Wha-What is this?” he shouts, backing up from your son as his strength swells. “No-Now hold on, calm down. Easy there ki-“
“AAAAAAAAAAAHH!!” your son shouts, glaring at him with fangs bares. And almost unconsciously the user once more summons his Stand, a white-suited creature with a dome-like head. And in a flash of insight you realize this is your chance! So you dash forward, and with your Divine Dragon Force-clad right arm punch his Stand right in the big circular head. Your fist and Stand smash right through the Stand, the user’s head exploding as well from the force of your attack.

“DIE!!” you shout, your body feeling quite strange for several seconds as gravity once more begins settling into your body. Your feet touch the ground once more, the enemy’s Stand disappearing as it’s body flops lifelessly to the ground. “Whew. That was too close.”
“Daaaa? DAAAAAAA!!!” your son shouts, you turning just in time for a spiky golden cannonball to slam into your chest. Karn Jr’s power catches you by surprise, nearly knocking you over in his scared charge. And as you hold him that tremendous power begins to dissipate as he cries.
“Shhhh, shhhh. It’s okay, I got you.” you say to your son, rubbing his back with your massive right hand. “Daddy’s okay.”

“Karn, I came as soon as-!” Sabi says, stopping as she sees the body and your son’s form. “Woah. What....What the hell happened?”
“Where do I start?” you ask no one in particular. And before you can answer it, Meloka appears.
“Karn, I felt-Hey Karn Jr. Did you protect Daddy?”
“MAAAAAA!!” he shouts, you passing your son over as he reaches clumsily towards Meloka. “Maaaa maaaaa maaaaaa maaaaaa!”
“It’s okay, I’m back sweety.” she says to your son, pressing him close while looking curiously to you. “What happened?”

“Well...” you start, the alarm cutting out and getting replaced by a message from Freeza himself.
“Excellent work everyone, we have repelled the enemy.” he says, and even down here you can imagine the cheers. “But our work isn’t done yet. In just a few minutes our resupply ships shall arrive! Tonight, we shall feast! And tommorrow, our great campaign shall continue!”

And sure enough, less than twenty minutes after the failed invasion, dozens of circular PTO ships begin entering Sanghelios’s atmosphere and landing around the ship. You, Meloka, and Karn Jr watch it all unfold from atop the Lucrehulk. The unloading and loading of supplies is something you’re not involved in, so you’re able to simply sit back and relax for the next couple hours. Arctus’s droids and PTO crewmates load supplies into the ship. Your son, having wore himself out by transforming earlier, is now sleeping peacefully in your wife’s arms. But you and Meloka are having a more-serious discussion than the scene painted would suggest.

“I know that, but still.” Meloka says, looking down as your sleeping son and smiling. “I don’t want to let him go. Maybe sending him back home would be safer, but what happens if he loses his temper over there? Your old man wouldn’t be able to stop him if he starts transforming again. I say we keep him here with us.”
“I want all of our children to be here with us too hun.” you tell her, your right arm around her shoulders. “But I don’t want to see them hurt either. We have to figure something out.”

Karn Jr, the miracle. Despite his incredible power and limitless potential, he’s still an infant and can’t really defend himself.

But what can you all do? What SHOULD you do?
>Send Karn Jr back home, with Raven, your old man, and the twins all watching over and out for him

The twins by themselves would be a bad idea, but if gramps is around to watch them it should be okay. Because Karn' Jr is a target for outside forces, we can't let him be alone.

You and Meloka discuss it for the rest of the afternoon, and in the end can’t come up with a better solution than keeping him here with you both. Your old man has obligations back home, Tatsu and Tomi are still too young to come along on a mission like this, and neither of you can let him out of your sight for very long. And with that decided you all return to your room, the bodies already cleared away and even double the sentries posted outside your common room. You sit down to a meal prepared by Silver’s disciples, but partway through an argument amongst them breaks out.

“Oi oi oi, what are you doing, you klutz?” one of them suddenly shouts. A pale skinned, white-haired woman with absolutely piercing red eyes is yelling at a young, redheaded man weaing the long white bandana. “Don’t mix those together like that, you’ll ruin the flavor of the meat!”
“Hey, don’t you start messin’ around with my dishes!” he shouts in response as the woman tries pulling the ingredients away from him, her paleness emphasized by her white attire. “I don’t go over to your side of the counter and fix your food, although it sorely needs rescuing.”
“Whaaaaa?!” she shouts, shocked. “My food doesn’t need fixing, unlike that slop you make! Every dish I make is perfectly balanced, portioned, and made with the most cutting edge techniques. Unlike yours, which is as simple and basic as it gets.”
“Enough you two.” a white haired, brown-skinned young man says calmly, getting between them. “Your squabble is drawing notice from the guests.”

“Guests?” you ask him, curious. “And here I thought this was my ship?”
“Forgive them, tempers have been rising over the past weeks due to the....” he says, hesitating for several seconds before sighing and continuing. “Shortage of ingredients. Chefs without ingredients are like Saiyans without a moon. Or golden hair, nowadays.”
“Hey, I know!” the pale woman says, snapping her fingers. “I know just how to show you who’s right! I challenge you to a chef skirmish!”
“Oh, you’re so on!” the redheaded boy shouts, then after a moment looks around confused. “Wait, Silver’s not here. So who-?”
“Sorry to drag you into this.” the silver-haired young man says, bowing to you both. “But if you will entertain us, would you two consider becoming the judges of this contest?”
“You want us to judge, what, your food?” you ask him, Meloka taking Karn Jr upstairs as he begins crying and biting at her armor as he’s clearly hungry as well. “I think we’re both in, once Meloka changes and comes back down. But I think we need a third-“
“I believe I shall be the tie breaker.”

You and the cooks all turn, Dr. White having been standing outside his office listening to the argument. “If you’re willing to let an old man’s peculiar taste judge your work.”
“Excellent! Then let us begin!” the pale woman says, bowing to you, Dr. White, and then Meloka who comes down in her gi top and Karn Jr drinking from her. “My name is Alice, and I shall deliver you a culinary masterpiece.”
“This competition will be simple. Meat.” the silver-haired man says. “Whoever makes the better dish, decided by General Karn, Dame Meloka, and the esteemed Dr. White in the next hour, wins. Chefs ready? Begin!”
“You’re going down.” the headband-wearing redheaded boy says, taunting his opponent. You watch curiously as the two cooks battle, you and Meloka eating the food already on the table while they go at it.

“You sure you two don’t want to leave some room?” Dr. White asks, as you take a giant bite out of some sort of grilled leg. “When these young ones go all-out, they certainly show their true potential.”
“I was never one for real complex food preparation.” you say to him, chewing the meaty bite then taking another. “But I could always tell when Silver was trying to improve morale, or give us the strength to power through a day of extra-grueling training.”
“Exactly.” Dr. White says. “That man is a natural, I’d even say supernatural when it comes to food. I’ve lived a long time, and never have I tasted something as delicious as the time he made me a traditional dish from my homeworld. If these kids can reach his level someday, perhaps they could even make gods beg.”
“I dunno about all that.” Meloka says, watching them with mild disinterest. “I mean, food is food. “Sure some tastes better than others, but-Hey, what’s that smell?”

All three of you turn, seeing the pair of young chefs hard at work. Delicious hints of coming flavors drift on the air, making you even hungrier than you’d been when first walking in. You don’t know just what surprises they’re cooking up for you, but what you do know is that you’re ready to eat!

Hey GD, glad to see you're still running!
Long time reader here. Since thread 10 or so?
Times have been tough for me lately, but i'm back at a point where i can read quests again, and i'm finally all caught up.

Interesting to see Soma and the gang cooking for Karn, and i'm happy to see our kids living their own lives.
But i'm still waiting for the day when Karn doesn't have any enemies left, and he can finally rest.

Keep on keeping on, GD!
And don't worry, it's /qst/ in general that's dead, not your playerbase. t. a fellow QM

“Ahhh, this wait is killing me.” you say, and despite already eating half a meal already the smells wafting over from the chefs cooking is almost causing you to drool all over yourself. Karn Jr has no such hesitations, your son drinking his fill from your wife who’s watching both of the cooks closely. You can feel the intensity of her stare, your wife is no doubt feeling just as hungry as you are now. You can feel your tail twitching back and forth impatiently, anticipating the meal just from what you can smell. The other scents are secondary, however, to the meat itself. You aren’t sure you have ever eaten a creature with dark blue meat before, but the one called Alice clearly knows what she’s doing with it. Like one martial artist watching another of a different style, you watch the ease with which she moves, as if she’s done it over and over thousands of times before. In fact both chefs are clearly practiced, no doubt from their time under Silver and then the months they’ve been cooking for your all daily since.

“You see it too, don’t you?” Dr. White asks, you turning to him and snapping out of your own thoughts. “Their movements. These two are only children, yet move with the sureness and precision of master surgeons.”
“I was thinking much the same thing.” you reply, the silver haired young man listening to you both contemplatively without offering up anything to say himself. “No matter what you spend your life doing, the time and hard work you put in will always show through.”
“I’m glad you both appreciate the efforts we’ve gone through for you all.” he says, nodding once appreciatively. “No one can be good at everything. So when those who protect our lives show the same appreciation for the work we put in for them, it encourages everyone to strive for the pinnacle even harder. And that makes us all better, in the end.”

“That was rather deep.” Dr. White says, narrowing his eyes a bit at the ‘referee’ chef. “Forgive an old man for his memory, but what was your name again?”
“Akira.” he says, then walks back into the kitchen with the others. At this point the others have all gathered, the chefs watching each other intensely while the smells drew out many of your old crew from their room. “Just under ten minutes left.”
“Ten minutes?!” Meloka says, exasperated. “I can’t wait ten more minutes, I need to eat. Now.”

“Hey, c’mon Meloka.” you say, arm around her shoulders holding her a little tighter to you. “We gotta let them work, this competition means a lot to them. I’m hungry too, but we can wait a few more minutes, right?”

And for a few seconds you think your wife is going to leap out of her seat at them, but instead sighs out, her body relaxing. So you try and take her mind off it, switching the topic of conversation to her own training.

“So I know you’ve been out of the gravity chambers for awhile, everything okay going back in?” you ask her. Partially to distract her, but also as someone who’d been out of training a few weeks, you’d wondered how much worse it was after several months. “You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m alright.” she says, looking down at your son. “It’s a lot harder than I remember it being.”
“Your muscles have spent months in disuse, some level of atrophy was to be expected.” Dr. White says. “Especially considering the insanity you two put your bodies through while training. People remark that Lord Freeza’s biology is impossible, but they haven’t studied Saiyans.”
“What do you mean?” you ask the doctor, curious. “Impossible how?”
“Take your gravity training, for instance.” he says, poking your arm. “Tell me. Why do you think this method of training hadn’t been widespread before your people came onto the universal scene?”

“Because they had other methods?” you ask, Dr. White shaking his head. “Well why not then?”
“Because for most biological life forms, they have been designed by their home planets for a particular atmosphere, and particular gravity.” he says, continuing without pause. “And most creatures cannot operate outside a specified range of environments. But that’s what makes you Saiyans different. Unlike other species, whos organs would either explode or collapse under wide shifts in gravity, yours remain functional. You are one of, if not the only alongside Lord Freeza himself, who have no limits. You all can potentially train in gravity several hundred times what any living being anywhere could endure. Theoretically, you are a people without limits.”

“Woah.” you say, sitting back in your chair as you try and process this. But before you can, the pale creature Alice saunters over, carrying three dishes.
“I hope you are ready.” she says, setting down the three meals. And you aren’t quite sure what you’re looking at. It looks like a flower, but made of meat. “Enjoy.”
“Well now, let us see-“ Dr. White starts, but you’re done waiting. You grab several of the meat ‘petals’ and bite down, but words cannot describe what happens next. Your senses are overwhelmed by the flavors rushing into you, for several moments you forget where you are. But all too soon it’s over, you having eaten the whole thing except for some of the not-meat at the bottom.

“Order up!” the redheaded boy says, bringing over three bowls and setting one before each of you.
“Man, that was really good. I don’t think I-“ Meloka starts, then is stopped as he opens one up. Another wave of delicious smells strikes the three of you in the face, and you’re again ready to dig in. Once more the food is delicious, you tearing through it almost in a trance. And just like the other one, you only realize what happened when its over. “That’s it?”
“Excellent work, both of you.” Dr. White says, taking charge while you and Meloka try and figure out what just happened. “But I believe this contest is a rather easy one to call.”
“Yes! I knew I’d-“ the pale woman says, Dr. White holding up a hand to stop her. “Huh?”

“The proof of the victor is in the dishes.” Dr. White says, gesturing to yours and Meloka’s where you notice a common theme. You had both eaten the meat flowers, but left the other stuff at the bottom of each plate. Meanwhile you both had scrapsd the redhead’s bowls clean, leaving nothing behind. “So my vote is for you, err, what was your name again?”
“Soma.” he says, taking his headband off. “You’re welcome.”
“Well? Karn, Meloka? What did you think of the food?” Dr. White asks you both. “Have you made your choice?”

Alice will remember this
>>4498386
“Well, when you put it like that.” you start, sharing a glance with Meloka. She nods back, you then addressing the two cooks. “While Alice’s meat was better, we ate all of Soma’s. So we choose him.”
“And with that, Soma is the unanimous winner.” Akira says, the boy cheering while the pale girl crosses her arms and pouts. “Anything you wish to say to the competitors?”
“You both did really well.” you say to them. “Alice, that meat was especially great. But, only the meat. And by what the good Doctor pointed out, we didn’t eat everything else.”
“Haha, I told you I’d win.” Soma says, the pale woman rounding on him and starts shouting in his face. You, Dr. White and Meloka share a glance, the shouting drawing Karn Jr’s attention, who begins crying.

“Would you knock it off?” you say, forcefully over the shouting. She stops almost immediately, turning to you and blushing a bit in embarassment before turning back to her opponent.
“Mark my words, I won’t forget this.” she says, voice now at a low, almsot threatening growl. “I will beat you Soma.”

And with that she huffs once, turns on a heel and leaves the kitchen. Akira sighs, shaking his head as you and Meloka get up from the table. After saying your goodnights the two of you go up to your room, dress down and get into bed. It’s been a long day, and you’re just ready for it to be over. So with your wife in your arms, Karn Jr in hers, the three of you quickly drift off to sleep. The next morning you find yourself awake before Meloka or your son, both carefully wrapped in your arms. It feels like it’s been far too long since you landed on Sanghelios, but you know that the ship has finally returned on it’s journey to finish off the Covenant once and for all. With that knowledge in your mind you can’t drift off back to sleep, so you ponder what to do now.

Well?
>Sneak out of bed, and start training early

>>4498562
You've done it now guys, we always get our ass kicked by Meloka and we still haven't recovered.
>>
>>4498524
And the idea comes to you as you ponder sneaking out of bed to start training. Instead of going on without Meloka, you decide to wake her up wo you both can train together. And you know just the training to kick-start your morning.

“Mornin’ Meloka.” you say softly, gently squeezing your wife. Mumbling something she scoots closer to you, pressing her back to your chest through her long golden mane. “You gonna sleep all day?”
“Mrrrberr.” she mumbles, clutching your son to her chest.
“Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaah?” your son says, waking with a yawn.
“Mornin’ kiddo.” you say, reaching over and ruffling his hair. “Sleep good?”
“Baaaa.” he replies, rolling around to look at you. “Daaa!”
“At least one of you is happy to be awake.” you say, Meloka sleepily growling at you. “You wanna watch your mother and I train this morning?”
“Aaaa?” he asks, tilting his head sideways. You chuckle at your son’s innocence, the three of you getting up in short order. You and your wife both dress in training suits, Meloka pulling at hers a bit uncomfortably. Dirijf her pregnancy her breasts grew, making skin tight uniforms fit her differently. Not that you’re complaining or anything, but she clearly is annoyed. “Aaa aaaaa aaaaah!”

“Yeah, let’s go kiddo.” you say, picking your son up and setting him on your shoulders, holding his hands in yours so he doesn’t fall. “You ready hun?”
“Ready enough.” she replies, shaking her head a bit in frustration. “Let’s go.”

So the three of you leave your room and common room behind, heading to the nearest gravity chamber. Opening the door, you set Karn Jr in a cusion seat near the door, then roll your shoulder.

“So you wanted to spar against me.” Meloka says, powering down as much as she can in her Super Saiyan 3 form. “Is this to make sure I haven’t been slipping, or yourself?”
“Both.” you reply, transforming into a Super Saiyan to match her heavily-restrained power. “Besides, when’s the last time we really went at it?”
“Since Cauli left with her siblings.” Meloka replies, taking her fighting stance as you take yours. “You ready?”
“Always.” you say, the two of you closing the distance immediately and swinging. Fist slams into fist, your powers evenly matched. And as you and your wife trade blows, relaxing and warming up, you feel more and more confident. No matter what happens, you know that the two of you will be able to conquer whatever the Covenant throw your way.

Goku gives Moro a senzu bean after Moro promised to go back to prison. Naturally, the intergalactic world-eater was lying. Moro then goes on to eat the power of Merus (who doesn't exist anymore, mind you) that was stored in his cut-off arm to obtain Ultra Instinct. He then fuses with the planet when his body's limit is reached due to Merus's power apparently being too much. It's more merus wankery and more of goku being the biggest retard of all time.
>>

Don't read the story, dropped the show after Z, but that just sounds like a Cell the sequel, demon boogaloo.
>>
>>4500524
Nope. Just collecting souls by the tens of thousands.
>>4500526
Sure, -a- common soul can’t. Or even a few thousand. But tens of thousands?
That’s the question, and it still hasn’t been answered yet. But it’s nature does elucidate it somewhat. It is resistant to dark, yet weak to fire and lightning.

Then Cell would be forced to become even more perfect. The adversity would only serve to make Cell even stronger.

That really only points more towards the 4 Kings comparison, but that still doesn't answer why it seemed to be so hostile to the Dark itself.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 142 Epilogue, Part Two-

AGE 749, VOX’S FLAGSHIP

“Haaa! Shaaa! Shyaaa!” the Darkwraith woman shouts, swinging her metal and dark swords at you one after the other. With both hands holding your flaming amethyst-hued magical sword you block each of her attacks one after another, not giving the red invader the satisfaction of pushing you back. You are Caulifla, wielder of both the mighty Stand Triumph, and ancient miracles of Anor Londo thanks to the snake-legged god, Gryndolin. With these powers you earned the nickname “Smiling Angel” during the war against the Hive’s monsters, due to you single-handedly healing hundreds of allies from wounds that would certainly have been fatal otherwise. But right now you’re in the gravity chamber with your big sis Chaya, the Dreadzone Champion providing commentary to her fans across the universe as you battle a woman Darkwraith.

“HRRYYYAAAA!!” you roar, bringing your sword of amethyst fire straight down at the invader’s head. She brings both her blades, one metal and one darkness up in an ‘x’ to catch your sword. And she managed to stop your blow, barely: the flames less than an inch or two from igniting her hair. “You can’t win. Give up and go home, or I’ll kill you.”
“I won’t surrender to a damned forktongue!” she snarls, leaping back and disengaging from you. “But even if you beat me, you won’t beat us.”
“Us?” you ask, but before she could offer an answer, you hear it.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

“Oh come on, another one?!” you pout, then focus your mind on the sacred chime as you clutch your sword in both hands. “Then I’ll have to finish you off quick!”
“I won’t go down so easily.” she says, letting the dark sword dissipate and instead creates a small ball of fire in her left hand. You raise the dark shield with your left hand, ready for whatever trick she’s trying to pull, but instead of casting at you she slams that flame into her own chest! “GYAAAAA!!”
“What is wrong with you?” you say, stunned, but then you feel it. Her red invader aura seemingly begins being devoured by a deeper, darker red energy. And as this power envelops her, you feel the invader’s strength surging higher and higher! “Wh-What? Chaya, are you feeling this?”
“Be careful Cauli, her power’s almost doubled.” Chaya says, a hint of worry in her voice. She seems to have completely forgotten what she was doing, speaking only to you and not her many fans watching the battle unfold. “Dammit, are you sure I can’t help?”
>>
>>4502497
“You can’t hit her, but fortunately she can’t hit you either.” you reply, the amethyst flames changing back to ‘normal’ fire, as normal as unextinguishable magic fire can be, as the Darkmoon magic is burned away. So you mutter the quick prayer, using your tail to hold and ring the chime. This catches your invader quite off guard, as she’d no doubt never seen someone do that before. Apparently back then, Saiyans weren’t really well known. “I’m the one these monsters are after.”
“Monster? Hardly.” she spits, sheathing her sword over her right shoulder then crossing her arms to draw the swords at her hips. At first they don’t seem to be anything special, just regular swords; but as she lifts them overhead and slides them across each other, both blades become covered in the same crystals Chilli wields. Well, that can’t be good. “Come, you ignorant child, and taste death!”

“No you.” you reply eloquently, gathering your ki and firing an energy blast at her. But she’s prepared, lifting one of the swords she fires a javelin made of crystals at you that pierces through your attack, forcing you to dodge aside or be impaled. “Woah!”
“Die!” she shouts, leaping at you. She swings both crystal blades down, you twisting clockwise out around her swords. And before the Darkwraith can recover you attack, slamming your elbow into the back of her head. “GUUUHH!”

Your blow knocks her to the ground, the woman using the momentum to start rolling and vanishes before you could stomp her out of existence. She reappears a short distance away, and lifting her left sword towards you fires another crystalline spear. But you don’t dodge this one, instead grabbing your blade in both hands and readying a strike.

“Cauli, what are you doing?!” Chaya shouts, your sister sounding worried. But you aren’t, planting your feet and raising your amethyst flame sword overhead similarly to hers and Daddy’s “Djem So” style. You watch it come closer and closer, body tensed in anticipation. And when it’s in range you shout, stomping forward with your right foot and swinging down with all your might.
“HYAAAAA!!” you roar, the Darkmoon-enhanced flames of your blade slicing clean through the spear, shattering it.
“Wh-What?!” she shouts, stunned. “That’s... That’s impossible!”
>>
>>4502499
https://youtube.com/watch?v=mo3nDUA3KWs

“Another one?” you say, feeling exasperated. “Dammit, I gotta hurry up and end you, now.”
“No, I won’t go out like this!” she roars, both swords radiating light as they form into a pair of massive, magic blue blades more than a dozen feet long each. “You must DIIIIIEEEEEE!!!”

“HYAAAA!!” you shout, taking another step forward as she swings them both at you from either side like the blades of a giant pair of scissors. But you leap forward into the air, spinning to reorient yourself on the Darkwraith. She’s staring up at you, eyes wide in shock as she’d clearly expected her attack to end you. But you’re done playing around, front flipping again with your sword held in both hands and slamming it into her head. The amethyst fire burns right through her head and down into her torso, the Darkwraith’s body swiftly turning into nothing more than red mist. But as she vanishes, you reach out, grabbing one of her swords before she completely disappears. As you do the red aura vanishes, revealing the sword’s real form to you. Chilli might like it, so you set it on the ground beside the pile of phantom blood where your enemy died then reach out, touching the blood with your left hand. As you do, you feel the power surging into you. The dark energy attached to your hand thrives on this essence of your fallen foes, making it’s shield stronger with each one you defeat.

“Hey, neat.” Chaya says, lifting the sword and looking over it as you push yourself back to your feet. “A magic sword, huh?”
“I thought Chilli would like it.” you reply, both of you turning as the gravity chamber door suddenly opens again. And this time you’re greeted with not one, but TWO red phantoms. One seems to be wearing heavy stone armor, carrying a stone shield in it’s left and a giant club in it’s right. But the other one makes your jaw drop: is that a freaking dragon?!
“Woah! So cool!” Chaya says, clearly speaking of the dragon. It’s not a giant one, like the one that was sealed away back home, but it’s clearly not a people. It wears no armor, trusting it’s scales to protect it, but also is holding a pair of rather unusual weapons. You can’t tell what sort of stone or metal they’re made of, but this dragon is wielding a pair of massive clubs. Each one is the size of Daddy in his big green form, and you’re certain they’ll cause some monumental damage if they hit you. Best avoid those. “Hey sis, think you can grab one of those too? I need a good solid weapon, after what those Hive bastards did to my Pursuer.”
“No promises.” you say, quickly muttering the words of the Darkmoon Blade as your tail rings the chime over your sword once again. It’s enchantment still had time left before it wore off, but this fight might take awhile. “These two look a little bit tougher.”

“A child?” the rock-armored one says, his voice muffled by his helm. “I didn’t sign up to kill children.”
“Ssshe’s the one who bested Sulyvahn.” the dragon hisses, casually breathing a bit of fire out it’s nose. “Don’t take her lightly.”
“Wait, is this true?” the stone knight asks, taking another step forward. “You were the one who stopped him?”
“He was a big jerk who burned me.” you reply, conjuring your left handed dark shield . “He got what he deserved.”
“I see.” the knight says, setting his hammer down and giving you a rather proper bow before readying himself for a fight “Then I shall enjoy facing such a prodigious warrior on the field of battle. May the strongest fighter win.”

“Enough talk!” the dragon snaps, sprinting right at you and spinning in a circle. As he spins both hammers follow, turning into a bludgeoning blender of destruction. You don’t even try and stop that, instead leaping straight up into the air. It sees you go, following the spin by swinging both massive weapons up at you one right after the other. “DIE!”
“EEEEP!” you squeak, Su Ma twisting counterclockwise around the first. But you can’t dodge the second, so you instead clench your fists and punch it with both hands. Yet despite you putting your full power into your fists you don’t stop the dragon’s attack. You barely even slow it down, the heavy mass slamming you down hard onto the training room floor. Your feet slam down first, the metal bending under the impact. Yet you manage to withstand the hit, your foe pulling the weapon back. Only to smack you in the back full force with the other one.
“Cauli!!” Chaya shouts as you’re sent flying, impacting the far wall hard enough to leave a Caulifla-shaped dent in it. But as you fall your other opponent has already closed the distance, swinging his giant tooth-shaped club for you. Twisting you flip and roll parallel over it, spinning and slashing the stone knight across the back with your amethyst flames just as you land. Yet your attack doesn’t get through, his armor clearly more than a match for an attack like that.

“Hmph. You’ll have to do better than that!” the knight shouts, spinning clockwise and trying to smash you again. This time you backflip away, then again as one of the dragon’s larger clubs smashes the ground where you’d just landed. This dragon’s clearly the larger threat, you’ll have to take him out first. Thankfully, the miracles you learned have taught you how to handle them. So you speak the words of the Lord of Sunlight’s triumph over the dragons, tail holding and ringing the chime. And as you finish the tale your tail is holding a massive bolt of divine lightning. “What?!”
>>
>>4502503
“Imposssssible!” the dragon hisses, taking an unconscious step backwards as it sees the lightning. “Thisss cannot be!”
“So you are aware of the old tales.” the stone knight says, dropping to a knee. And seconds later you feel that same divine energy swell around him, and witness the magic barrier form around his stone armor. “This is just getting better and better.”
“Do ssssomething about her!” the dragon hisses at the stone knight. As he turns his attention you attack, launching the lightning bolt at it’s chest. But your attack doesn’t find it’s mark, the dragon blocking it with one of it’s maces. Or rather, block isn’t the right word. It threw it’s left-handed mace, the giant weapon intercepting the attack and spinning right for your head. With no time to dodge you raise your shield, closing your eyes and bracing yourself for the titanic impact.

It. Hurt.

There’s no words close to describing the pain, the closest comparison would be having Broly charge into you with his old shield at full power. But as he’d never actually done that to you, you can only guess. You lose track of time for a bit before finding yourself slumped against a wall, your left arm is severely broken and you can’t feel it. In fact you can’t really feel anything, your body not responding as you try and force it to get up. All you can do is look at the dragon, as it holds it’s one giant mace overhead in both hands and prepares to end you. But just before it can hit, Chaya dashes in, grabbing you and pulling you out of the way. The weapon smashes into the ground where you were, Chaya saying something to you but you can’t make out the words. Everything’s getting kinda blurry, but just as it starts going dark you see a familiar bottle. You got a bottle like that before, somewhere. And this stuff tastes really good, like liquid sunshine. You drink it and lose yourself a moment before your body suddenly jolts as your strength and awareness return. You jump to your feet, seeing Chaya standing between you and the two red phantoms defensively.

“-es ours. You can’t stop us from ending her.” one says.
“She’s my sister.” Chaya shouts back, fire in her voice. “And I’m not letting some second-rate punks gang up on her while I’m here.”
“You don’t have a choice.” the stone knight replies, you flipping back up to your feet. “You cannot stop us.”
“She doesn’t have to.” you reply, stepping up beside your sister. “She was just being overprotective. I’ll end you both myself.”
“Cauli, you sure?” she asks, her worry reminding you of Momma which makes you miss home even more. And even though your weapon and chime were dropped somewhere, you’re not worried. It’s time to show them how Saiyans fight.
>>
>>4502508
“I’m more than ready.” you reply, gesturing with your left hand for them to attack as you take Daddy’s fighting stance. “Come get me.”
“With no weapons?” the knight asks, tone doubtful. But the lizard has no such hesitations, rushing forward and swinging it’s left club down. You dash aside to your left, avoiding the first club, then turn and flip backward the way you came as his other club smashes down. You find yourself trapped in a ‘V’, the dragon snarling and unleashing a mouthful of flames. Despite Triumph still being dormant, your Stand still gives you several perks most people can’t enjoy. And the first, and most useful right now, is it’s protections from fire. While it doesn’t always work, like against black abyssal flames and whatever dark fire that Pontiff used, against normal fires you are completely immune. And this dragon’s flames are just that, normal fire.

“Really? Fire?” you ask, walking through the flames right up to the dragon and grabbing it by the neck. As your hand clamps down the flames stop, the dragon’s eyes bulging in surprise. “Fire can’t hurt me.”

And before the dragon can react further you slam your left fist into it’s gut, the dragon dropping to it’s knees as you let go of it’s neck. Gathering your ki into your right hand, you spin that energy, and with a roar punch that piercing point into it’s stupid scaly face. Your foe is still too stunned from the gut punch to dodge, your Piercing Fist punching straight through it’s scaled head. Phantom blood explodes out everywhere as you obliterate it’s skull, the invader rapidly fading into red mist before vanishing: you turning to face the stone knight.

“Most impressive.” he says, from behind his shield. “Although I doubt I can defeat you, I shall not back down. As a Knight of the Rock, I cannot waver. So reclaim your weapons, and we shall finish this.”
“Thanks, but I’ll finish you like this.” you reply, retaking your stance. “You ready?”
“Very well, as you wish. Have at thee!” he shouts, as darker stone begins growing out of his armor! The stone becomes thicker and no doubt sturdier, but you’re not worried. You’re gonna end this quick. While his stones thicken you focus, grabbing your right wrist and focusing your energy into a sizeable ball of ki. But unlike most others, this one won’t explode until you make it.
“Take this!!” you shout, pitching the ball of ki at your armored foe. He raises his shield, your ball slamming into it. But your attack doesn’t explode, you directing it over him and right into his back.
“What?!” he shouts in surprise, and since he’d been braced for a frontal assault your ball of ki crashing into his back knocks him off balance. “Impossible!”
>>
>>4502510
“HRRRYAAAAAA!!” you roar, directing your powerful ball of ki to keep smashing your opponent from all sides. First from overhead, right front, and then the back of his legs, the constant high-speed assault knocks the knight off his feet. But you don’t let him fall, using the ball to knock him higher and higher into the air until he’s almost to the training room’s ceiling. You then direct it over the knight, and with a final word slam him down to the ground where your blast finally explodes. “BEGONE!!”

As your special technique ends and the smoke begins to clear, you see the knight’s heavy stone armor is still in one piece. But he’s not getting up, and after a few moments begins disappearing in the same red mist. You turn to the door, hearing it open, and see a knight in more traditional armor. This new red phantom takes one look at the defeated stone knight, looks at you, then immediately sheaths his sword and kneels. For a moment you think he’s gonna beg for mercy, but instead grabs a black and white crystal, and begins disappearing as well. Unlike the stone knight and dragon he doesn’t leave behind a puddle of that red essence, choosing instead to take the coward’s way out and run.

“That’s right, you better run!” Chaya taunts, you sighing out and returning to your normal form. On your way back to pock up your chime and sword, which has already severely scorched the metal floor of the gravity room, you make sure to touch the two puddles and absorb them into your left hand. Better you take it than leave it for someone else to stumble upon, right? But as soon as you pick up your blade and chime, the all-too-familiar sensation of the Darkmoon Pendant tugging at you returns.
“Welp, looks like someone else needs me.” you say, waving to Chaya and presumably her fans too. “I’ll be right back!”
“Oh, hey! Try an’ find somethin’ for Mom an’ Dad while you’re there!” she shouts. “You know, like a souvenir! I’m sure they’ll appreciate it.”

“I will!” you say excitedly, wondering what sorts of enemies you’ll run into this time. But no matter who, or what tries to get in your way, not one of these guys can stop you, the Smiling Angel of New Salda, from helping the weak and protecting those in need!

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 142 Epilogue Part 2 End-
>>
>>4502513
It can't be, you Can't Stop The Rock.
What I'm interested the most here is, how did those phantoms find Caulifla's world while being so many planets and Ages away?
>>
>>4502513
>dickwraith sees caulifla just obliterate a dragon and someone chock full of haval gear
>nopes the fuck out
nice touch GD.
>>
>>4502536
honestly considering cauli sort of massively changed the dark soul universe with the whole saving gwyndolin thing, he could very well still be in charge there now, so dickwraiths may still continue into the modern day.
>>
>>4502499
>“No you.”
GD be honest how fast did this become a meme on spacechan?
>>
>>4502591
implying it wasn't already
>>
>>4502536
Better question, as they are in SPACE.
>>4502581
Thank you. But let’s be honest, watching someone powerstancing smelter hammers and a havel get wiped is enough to break most people’s resolve.
>>4502591
>no u
spam was all over Chaya’s chat, and will certainly be for some time. Plus, despite being in the war, her focus was usually on healing over attacking the enemy. Watching her 3-0 some dangerous foes will certainly increase her popularity. Plus it’s webm has already circulated, and Arctus saved the fight to show to Karn and Meloka.
>>
>>4502605
So when does Arctus teach Karn and Meloka keyboard shortcuts while they unga-bunga slap keys like prehistoric relics?
>>
>>4502669
Probably never. Notice every time he’s been at any console, be it his ship or a pod, Karn always punches coordinates in. Keyboards and tech are for those trained in their use, he is for the violence and war he’s trained for
>>
>>4502683
oof those poor buttons
>>
>>4502683
It’s a miracle that Karn knows how to read.
>>
>>4502687
There’s a reason PTO tech is built solid.
>>4502694
His reading level is, utilitarian at best. Chilli, and now Chaya with her chat helping her out now both read significantly better than he does. Karn mostly knows numbers, and important phrases/words.
>>
>>4502735
Karn may not know how to read, but how eloquent of a speaker is he?
>>
>>4502735
Who is more academically intelligent
Karn or Ubo
>>
>>4502837
Karn is more academic by default.
Ubo however is still potentially more intelligent by virtue of being a Kryptonian.
Under the right circumstances, he'd blow Karn out of the water.
>>
>>4502848
I'm pretty sure Ubo can read better than Karn at this point. I mean what else could Ubo and Raven be doing for hours on end in the middle of the night?
>>
>>4502772
You saw his speech to everyone when he cam back from New Salda, how would you rate it?
>>4502837
Ubo. Karn is not a particularly deep or complex thinker, focusing on the present issues and not worrying about too far into the future.
>>4502848
How is Karn more academic? It’s not like he’s had any real schooling outside his introduction into the PTO. Karn’s wits and wisdom are from learned experience, trial and error.
>>4502961
He does enjoy a good book, even if he doesn’t understand many of the Aku tome’s magical complexities.
>>
>>4503446
>You saw his speech to everyone when he cam back from New Salda, how would you rate it?
Considering how I had a partial hand in it? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
moving on
>It’s not like he’s had any real schooling outside his introduction into the PTO
And that's exactly what I'm talking about. While Ubo is 100% more academically inclined, he has no real reason to pursue it, and thus I assumed Karn was just barely more knowledgeable.
>>
>>4503455
The difference here comes down to their individual circumstances. Karn grew up in a war zone, and has been fighting ever since. Battle is quite literally what he lived for, until his own family grew both in size and importance. Whereas Ubo was a child abandoned on a hostile world, far stronger than anything that could threaten him even at his young age. So while initially he enjoyed fighting people who didn’t run away, Raven opened his mind to discovering the world, and himself. Ubo is curious and wants to know, whereas Karn wants to survive and protect what’s his.
>>
>>4504082
When is Karn going to realize he can make brain gains while physically training by listening to audiobooks at the same time?
>>
>>4504091
>brain gains
Doesn’t particularly interest Karn at this point. His focus in life is to get strong and destroy all of his enemies. Once that’s seemingly finished, then he may contemplate his life and what’s next.
>>
>>4504105
That's why he should be listening to audiobooks on biology, to know better how to destroy his enemies. And so he can understand Dr. White without having to get the ultra simplified version. We're in his office so much...
>>
>>4504114
>can't spell superfluous but can identify and locate the spleen in 700 different species
>>
>>4504105
>Doesn’t particularly interest Karn at this point.
Darth Bane begs to differ
>>4504114
We should probably get to know him a little better at this point. That man's medical expertise is propping up the war effort at this point.
I also kinda want to know his backstory since GD kept alluding to it last session.
>>
Going to be off the internet again, don't know for how long.
>>
Finally less than 24 hours before the next episode begins!

>>4504114
You are. Which is why his office is so close to your room.
>>4504124
Ha
>>4504149
Karn doesn’t think in terms of five, ten, twenty years from now most of the time. He lives in the moment, or planning for battles usually a year out At Most.
And Dr. White is a mystery
>>4504583
Good luck
>>
>>4504593
Trying to find work with no phone or internet, and the detective for my case is trying to prevent me from getting my money. I need a miracle.
