The Digital World was born mere months before its collapse. However, these months translated to billions of cycles in the Digital World, allowing for the evolution of countless digital entities. In a last-ditch attempt to save its progress, the Digital World created the ARK, a Virtual Machine that would continue the processes while the Digital World attempts to self-repair.The ARK contains a mere 100 Gigabytes, a tenth of the Digital World's 1 Terabyte capacity. It is divided into three layers and today, we will be inspecting the Ark's first layer. It takes the form of a vast plains, divided by two into the North and South halves. At the extremities of these halves, forests where plant-like digital entities thrive, and in the plains between the forests and the mountains, animals thrive. On the mountains, viral and anti-viral programs continue their eternal war, while within and beneath them, animal-like programs and fungal digital entities thrive. The moons located above the Ark sort the junk data coming from the outside and stream them into the artificial habitat. The first of these moons is named 'Gravity', that keeps the animals and plants anchored to the ground. Next, we will look at the lucky species that were saved by the Digital World so they can thrive in the ark.
>>4525205Blackpalms are concentrated in the northern part of the first level. They filter the viral parts of the Gravitational data from the moon and reproduce by infecting hapless animals with their spines.
>>4525206Trolltans are located in both forests, as well as the caves. Outside the Ark, they would normally feed by secreting themselves away in a subdimension and feeding on Digital Rain. Time will only tell how they can learn to feed without the Digital Rain in the Ark.
>>4525208Holo Plataformas are located in both forests as well. They feed by capturing image data with camera arrays located at their 'head'. However, with 'Gravity' constantly streaming gravitational data onto the first layer of The Ark, they have lost their ability to fly.
>>4525211Towers were adapted for a malware-rich environment. Protective programs take up much of their bandwidth and they feed chiefly on visual data produced by their arrays. Within them, potent viral data is contained. They are located in the southern forest, where they make up much of its plant population.
>>4525213Tashlinks are plants located chiefly in the mountains. They are a gestalt of three Tashne units, with two chiefly producing food and one chiefly locating viral Digital Entities to hunt. Even with the relatively sanitized population of The Ark, they continue to do their duty as the Firewall.
>>4525214Deschatons are highly developed, relative to other Digital Entities. Males largely hunt Digital Entities for their tribes to feed on, while females focus largely on the rearing of young. They are located largely in the southern plains.
>>4525215Hunter Exiles are omnivorous creatures found in the caves. Once part of a highly stratified, eusocial group of species, they find themselves hunting on their own since the species they had a eusocial arrangement with weren't saved by the Digital World.
>>4525218Shielded Cannons are found chiefly in the mountains where they constantly war with Tashlinks. Outside the Ark, they generated energy from harsh winds but since such extreme conditions are not found within the Ark, they'll have to find another way to feed, or at least greatly reduce their energy consumption.
>>4525219Salas are found on either side of the mountain range, and on the plains. They are opportunistic species who hunt infants when they can get away with it as they aren't strong enough to fight with mature specimens. Those lucky enough to be near the forests can also feed on plants.
>>4525220Midnights are strange in that they have achieved flight, despite the 'Gravity' moon streaming down gravitational data. They are omnivores so they hunt down Salas who are foolhardy enough to try and eat their young.
>>4525221Cannibal Shrooms are found deep within the caves. They are highly viral and have the ability to induce creatures who see them into eating them. They then reproduce in and on the creature until it dies.
>>4525222Tsunots are creatures located deep within caves. Carnivorous, they are obligated to hunt down Hunter Exiles in order to feed.
>>4525220Some Salas have managed to fix the perspective issues that have plagued their species for numerous generations. The slightly improved height also allows them to reach taller branches in the forests.
>>4525206The Blackpalm develops deeper roots to stop overzealous herbivores from pulling it out of the earth data. It also grows backup flowers, which bloom fully if the top flower is irreparably damaged.
>>4525219Flare Cannons reconfigured their turbines to gather and manage the flame data of Tashlinks, both protecting themselves and finding a new source of energy.Due to the instability and randomness of flames, sunspots develop within the capacitor that sporadically release EMPs.
>>4525211Camera Arrays that are unable to find a pair take to the skies. As Holocams, the reduction of weight and additional flight systems allow them to fly with little effort, seeding their parent Plataformas with half-processed image data.Without reproductive or digestive functions, these creatures mainly live to spend as little energy as possible and die a fair distance away, increasing the potential "territory" for Plataforma.
>>4525231Fierce Salas are a bit larger and more ferocious than their non-fierce counterparts. Although it doesn't allow them to go head to head with Deschatons or Midnights, it does allow them to put up enough of a fight so they can run away when hunting the younglings.
>>4525233A more robust root system allows Blackpalms to grow taller. They now keep secondary leaves with which to attract herbivores growing halfway down their trunk
>>4525242Viral Flares repurpose their electric cannons into appendages that stream viral data. This attracts Tashlinks to them, enabling them to sup on their flames.
>>4525214A composite organism formed of Viral Flares >>4525271 and Tashlinks, Tashlinks coalesce around the Viral flare in order to attack the viral data. The Flare has figured out how to exploit their behaviour. The Flare attracts Tashlinks until they entrap the flare, linking into wide panels around the viral source. Whenever it needs to feed, it begins streaming, enticing them into releasing flames. The heat and formation of a 'sail' allows it to control the navigation of the entire structure.
>>4525285Crap, forgot to attach image.
>>452521999% of all Shielded Cannons died soon upon arrival, having been immobilized, disarmed and deprived of their single energy source. The lucky 1% were immobilized, disarmed and only MOSTLY deprived of their single energy source - the air currents generated by nearby packs of Midnights were just about enough to keep them starved and barely alive rather than starved and dead.Of course, when surviving off such a meager amount of wind, certain energy-saving adaptations were preferred. Thus, the modern Shielded Cannon no longer has an actual cannon, and it's armor is as flimsy as wet paper.
>>4525218the exiles lose their bottom chompers and increases the strength of the top ones to allow for easier killing.
>>4525218Due to the invasive nature of the Producers in the cave, Hunter Exiles have essentially no choice when it comes to food. As long as they eat plants, they're infected by either the hijacking of the Trolltans or the Cannibal Shrooms. The ones who have adapted the best are the ones who compromise when their reproductive functions are subverted. They produce offspring at the same point where the mushrooms attempt to replicate, filling in the data with that of the mushrooms. Resulting offspring are thus deeply linked with the Cannibal Shooms. A fortunate side effect is that the plant data 'fills in' the gaps in their data caused by conflicting viral and antiviral data, allowing both to coexist with it as the middleman. The Hunter Exile becomes less prone to degeneration as a result of this fusion.
>>4525298Some Stranded Cannons managed to replace their eye/head with a larger more energy efficient but still unarmored version
>>4525286Virellites have evolved further to exploit the behavior of Tashlinks. By sending out a viral signal, it attracts Tashlinks to it and forces them to spew out flames, consuming all its energy. This forces the Tashlink component to resort to simplifying its body just to have enough energy to 'attack' the Virellite's main body with flames. The relationship is very exploitative and once its Tashlink components die of malnutrition, it sends out more signals to attract more tashlinks and the cycle begins anew.
>>4525308Cannibal Exiles have nearly half of their data filled in with Cannibal Shrooms. They have an extremely high reproductive drive due to the Cannibal Shroom part of their DNA. In exchange for their reproductive abilities, the Cannibal Shrooms shield their mind from the effects of unrelated Cannibal Shroom and Trolltan strains.
>>4525318Due to the abundance of food, the Virellites develop highly distended capacitors, allowing them to gorge themselves for far longer without damaging their innards.
>>4525316Stranded cannons let go of part of their body in order to conserve energy in reproduction.
>>4525214Tashnets are significantly more intelligent than their Tashlink counterparts. They are able to detect Virallite signals and either discard them as false-positives, or destroy them to free any captive Tashlinks they have.
>>4525223an ancient piece of code from the tsunots back when they were composed of light came to the tsunot once more. This has manifested in its hands being able to emit blinding light, which hunter exiles become blinded. Every punch is like a miniature flashbang. This has led them to prioritize speed of punching more than the power of a punch
>>4525323Stranded Windmills have transposed their turbines to become more vertical, allowing it to catch more wind.
>>4525308The addition of excessive, foreign viral data sends the Exile's antivirus into overdrive, severely damaging it's host's body in fruitless attempts to get rid of the mushrooms.
>>4525323The Stranded Cannon has separated it's capacitor into two segments: the lower segment serves as the primary energy storage, while the upper segment serves as edible bait for Midnights, enticing them to fly near the Stranded Cannon and thus recharge it with the wind gusts they leave behind. The upper capacitor's nutritional value is very low, but it makes up for it by being rather delicious.
>>4525253Red Holocams go faster, in a desperate attempt to bond. They go so much faster that they occasionally end up in the fields where they are promptly eaten by Deschatons or Salas. On occasion, they crash into an adult Holo-plataforma and are able to 'attach' themselves to it, leeching Image data to feed on before shooting off once again. Holo Plataformas attached this way produce a higher than normal amount of Red Holocams.
>>4525337the cannon gains a propeller near the upper segment, to take as much advantage of the bait as possible. The bait also now emits good smelling data to lure midnights, which gets spread thanks to the wind
>>4525231>While fierce Salas increased their size Armored Salas grew weak armor plating on their back on heads based on their Holy Rings, while this does some minor boos in defense it also makes them slower and less agile
>>4525308V-Hunter Exiles have completely purged the Vaccine data from their bodies, permanently stabilizing it for future generations. They pick off the weakened elderly of other Hunter-exile populations, as well as prey on any others struggling to cope.
>>4525333Anti Exiles have been taken over completely by their antiviral instincts. They will hunt down anything with a trace of virus, like Cannibal Shrooms and Trolltans.Unfortunately, they starve distressingly often because they will get distracted from eating if they detect Viral data.
>>4525323Some Stranded Cannons take a different approach growing rootlike cables into the soil trying to gain energy from the Earth
>>4525266Some of the Fierce Salas develop perked-up ears to increase the range they pick up sound, rather than the floppy ones they once had. However, their overall file size remains the same, as the negligible extra material moves to their tail
>>4525352By sending a bit of stored electricity into the ground and electrolysing it, Stranded Rocks have learned to leverage even a small amount of electricity into a surplus by zapping and absorbing the elements that come from soil. Absorbing Rock data has made them look more rock-like, however.
>>4525220Some Salas have taken their strategy of baby-eating further: now if they have already eaten their fill of younglings, they will use the surviving babies as makeshift eggs, using their ovipositor to deposit their own child directly into the prey's body. The baby will feed on it's host's insides, and leave once it's grown large enough to survive in the outside world.
>>4525357Blue Salas have a much larger frame due to added ferocity. They still eat baby Deschatons, however some can team up and maybe beat the adult ones.
>>4525342Pseudo Deschs are Salas that have grown armor all over their body. This makes their data signature incredibly similar to the adult deschaton, allowing them to continue their baby-eating ways until caught.
>>4525214Identifying the moons as the greatest source of viruses, Tashgeysers begin building spires of flame that reach up to the sky.
>>4525332the windmills are able to gain a lot of height, and reach where the winds are faster.
>>4525221An emergent evolution has emerged among Midnights. Rather than allow themselves to be permanently blinded, growing Midnights are discomforted enough by the sensation that they scrape and peel off the insulating data that grows over their eyes. It's prone to coming back if left untended, so Midnights continually scratch at it to retain their sight. With their main prey (Electric Shielded cannons) gone, Midnights have taken to a more aggressive role in the Digital world.
>>4525368These fucking babyeaters are at it again. The Desch develops a new organ that has a twofold purpose. The first is to visually copy the red marking on the Deschaton male's head. The second is to index files and locate nearby entities by their time of creation. It pushes older entries to the bottom, allowing it to sense and identify younger prey.
>>4525211As Gravity keeps them anchored, the Holo Patforma no longer needs to be weighed down. It loses the 'anchor' it once had. Holographic-type offspring that are unable to pair develop little thrusters that fire off the most basic of substances: Binary. While it's not a powerful enough stream to fly for long, they raise themselves up into open air in hopes of colliding with a wandering Holocam.
>>4525386Pseudo Deschs have grown fat off of stealthily eating baby Deschatons. Now, they're doing the tricking thing on purpose, emitting data that makes Deschatons think they're one of them.
>>4525386This strain of Pseudo Deschs have foregone eyesight entirely using their Indexing Crystal to sense prey. The Indexing Crystal occasionally sends them deep into the caves to prey on young Tsunots.Because they can't see Cannibal Shrooms and Trotans, they're unaffected by the urge to eat them.
>>4525359By analyzing and reorganizing the electricity within Rock Data, Stranded Magnets have invented a new form of program that is similar to Gravity but can be directed or even attract some types of data.
>>4525383Sightnights have changed their long snouts for a shorter one, with flat teeth. This allows them to extract more energy from Blackpalms when they eat them.
>>4525215>To deal with the false data from the Pseudo Deschs Deschatons have grown visors allowing them to scan whatever looking at at a level beyond what the Pseudo Deschs can fool
>>4525457Stranded Magnets normally use their magnetic powers to attract loose rock to digest with electricity. Occasionally, clumps of Stranded Magnets who grow close enough together can trap any flying creatures such as Midnights or Tashlinks. They try to digest them the same way they digest rock-- by shocking the hell out of them. This is effective enough that their turbines have atrophied away.
>>4525308Excess shroom data sloughs off an replants itself in the cave, but the shrooms are themselves tainted with the Exile's mix of Viral and Anti-viral data.Toxin Mush have lost their addictive qualities from internal data conflict, but have evolved to be unpalatable to so many types of creatures that they can feed in caves without fear of predators.
>>4525462Because they no longer need constant cooling, Ram Deschatons no longer have the fan-like appendages on the sides of their heads. This causes their horns to grow in an odd shape and Ram Deschatons will bash their heads against Towers to relieve the feeling of weirdness. On the other hand, they occasionally break the Towers, revealing delicious data that they can slurp up and bring to their herds.
>>4525468Having combined with data from a videogame the shroom's cap has detached from it's stem and flies through the air attaching itself to other digital lifeforms and draining the life out of them
>>4525473the length of the horns keep increasing to break pillars more easily.
>>4525215The rare few Deschatons who live in the forest have to contend with predators wanting their babies. Their sweet, succulent babies. The young make a habit of hiding within the large tubes of the >>4525416 Holo Platforma. It provides a perfect shelter once they break in. However, the platforma consumes Imaging data, and by hiding inside, they end up having their textures erased. As a result, they mature with their textures stripped completely from their code, leaving them a low-poly mess.
>>4525489Because Ram Deschatons now make Tower sap their primary food source, this has caused their young to become obese and their males more effeminate due to the lack of meat.Although they are now more able to spot Pseudo Deschs, it seems that males now have a hard time defending from Blue Salas that hunt in packs...
>>4525507With the males unable to defend the nest, the females step up. They gain stronger legs and use their horns to gore.
>>4525416Holographic offspring develop a simpler body type allowing them to survive longer before having to 'bond'. This ensures their survival longer at the cost of having a slightly less efficient digestive system as an adult. They will literally leave behind lines of raw binary as excrement
>>4525208Due to how magnetism affects their subspace the Trolltan have found a new foodsource in the output of the Stranded Magnets (>>4525457)
>>4525519Due to a combination of factors, such as the Ark's smaller bandwidth and the magnetism actually being really bad for their code among others, some Trolltans find that they can't stay indefinitely in their little side dimension. It seems like they can only stay for about 5 minutes in the sub-dimension. However, 5 minutes is actually a really long time inside the Digital World so Trolltans can be caught unawares when their sub-dimension suddenly boots them out.
>>4525206>>4525208>>4525211>>4525213>>4525214>>4525215>>4525218>>4525219>>4525220>>4525221>>4525222>>4525223>>4525231>>4525233did we not use to have like stats for size?
>>4525536nope, just "traits" like Virus, Anti-virus, metal, coconut, you know
>>4525361Ovipositioning Salas are faced with the need of developing more anti-viral data 'seals' in their bod y. Their teeth and legs, which tend to be particulary more succeptible to viral attacks, are reinforced with anti-malware code.
>>4525533With no data rain to glut themselves on, some Trotans are forced to develop more aggressive ways to get data. Using it's imprinted magnetism code, the MAREWARE Trotan can attract the data of nearby creatures and suck them into its dimension, where they will be assaulted by viral data that has been compressed enough to fit within the now-limited space. Afterwards, the trotan will feed off of the remains of the victim.
>>4525499To make up for thier lack of textures, some Deschatons have learned to copy textures from the surrounding environment and even adjust their tranparency.
>>4525213Other programs collected in the broken husks and shattered chains of the Array Towers, spawning new forms of life.
>>4525856While some Trotans find themselves having trouble maintaining sub-spaces, those who refrain from feeding on Magnetic data find that they can maintain sub-spaces easily.Arrangements are quickly made between those Trotans who have trouble maintaining sub-spaces and these 'King' Trotans. The 'Knight' Trotans gather and bring data to the 'Kings', while the 'Kings' maintain the subspaces that Knights can use to feed on Magnetic data.
>>4525893Meshchatons experience further simplification of their systems. This simplification means that the Gravitational data doesn't affect them as much so they hover a few feet above the ground. They typically stay around the larger of the Holo Plataformas, hunting Salas that hound the other Deschaton species for food, or eating the Tower sap that Ram Deschatons forage.
>>4525587Ovisalas that have repeatedly laid their eggs in Midnight pups for generations find themselves taking on some of the traits of Midnights.Their back legs have atrophied away, with their entire back half replaced by their ovipositors, along with small, useless nubs that grow on their backs.
>>4525270The Eyepalm can now see their target ensuring they won't miss or try to stick their thorns into armor
>>4525270The Blackpalm grows larger in general. The blossoms develop little thorns of their own.
>>4525320The Cannibal Exiles develop sensors to detect Tsunots, who they still can’t properly contend with. They also gain a fork on the end of their tails, which the cannibal shrooms use to implant other organisms with.
>>4526689>>4526692Sorry, forgot to update the generation for these two.
>>4525345The V-Hunter Exile becomes more aggressive and predatory. Due to clashes with the Anti Exiles, they’ve started attempting to leave the caves and infest the plains. Unfortunately, they usually end up being blasted from the sky by Tashlinks, sending them back into the safety of the caves.
>>4526719Vhexiles can be characterized by the large mushrooms on their back. These act as shields against the Tashlinks, but are also heavy so they're forced to slowly crawl on all fours. When hit, the mushrooms on their backs spread spores.
>>4526659Eyepalms further develop their false flowers in order to fool Herbivores into eating their extra parts and not their main flower.By necessity, their tops and bottoms have bulked up.
>>4526692Cannibal Exiles have completely lost their ray tracing abilities as a counter to the Tsunots' stunning light. Instead, they navigate entirely with echolocation. Also, more of their body has been replaced by Cannibal Shroom data.
>>4525893The Descagone has managed to become completely transparent, leaving no trace of themselves apart from their impact on the environment.
>>4525512With females taking on the role of defending the family, their muscles become smaller and denser. They no longer grow as large as they did before.Their pregnancies are also no longer fatal, but they still take a large toll on the female so the harem-structure of multiple females to one male still remains.
>>4525322Their distended capacitors make Virellites too heavy to move. They develop struts that they use to anchor themselves to the mountains as they stream viral data to attract hapless Tashlinks.
>>4526760Antimatter Exiles have learned to make better use of their internal virus and anti-virus programs.Their footsteps are coded with distinct types to both aid in echolocation and lure intended targets into ambush points. Their fangs are also arranged so that the virus and anti-virus data combine at the moment of biting, creating a more powerful attack from the fusion and mutual destruction.
>>4526806With a body that is mostly biological, except for its skeletal and nervous system, the Antimatter Exile finds that it is a lot easier to heal damage to its fungal bits.It is also much more in tune with its Virus and Anti-virus halves, with the fungal data acting as a medium.
>>4525507Due to an error in their reproductive code, some Ram Deschatons will give birth to not a litter of males and females, but a single enormous male. Although it will be to fat too move for most of its young life, it will become an enormous and strong when it matures.
>>4525338Reducing their data production, Snow Cams fly even faster, purposely using the speed's interference to its data production to create Frost Data that lags creatures that aren't prepared to consume it.
>>4526815Lag Machines are several Snow Cams linked together. Three is the most common configuration, though longer networks have been found.Their speed causes frost data to lag whatever they're hunting, as they eat the visual data from it. This eventually leaves the Digital Lifeform they hunt 'hollowed out' and die. Because they're not pair-bonded with a Holographic-type offspring, they're only able to gain a paltry bit of nutrition from whatever they eat, leaving their hunting grounds rich in Image Data for any plant that is fortunate enough to grow in them...It seems that they can't hollow out any of the Meschaton strains, though so they leave them alone.
>>4526617Vases are what happens when broken parts of Array Towers grow in soil enriched by a Lag Machine's feeding frenzy. They don't really have any special properties other than their ability to grow like crazy, but Salas and Deschatons keep their population in check. They're also pretty viral in nature, so any that grow too near the mountains are quickly incinerated by Tashlinks.
>>4525327Those that rely on sensing signals instead of sight can often find themselves running afoul of the Tsusignal. Its ability to manipulate actual light is lessened in favor of organs that can 'fake' signals. Of course, it can still do the occasional light flash if needed, but doing so disables their signal organs for some time.
>>4525327Tsulasers take the opposite approach to their cousins. They're already really good at manipulating light, so they turn it into deadly lasers. However, to sighted creatures, it's easy to tell when a Tsulaser is charging up its attacks. The auxiliary crystals on the Tsulaser's back arms light up one by one and the laser can only be fired if all of the crystals are lit up.
>>4526689The Blackpalm's additional tentacles grow into hands, allowing them to hold their target while they implant them with their thorns. However, since the arms are pretty short in the first place, this only works on the exceptionally stupid or the exceptionally hungry.
>>4525375By analysing Gravitational data streamed by the moon, and applying a small amount of antigravity data to its sails, Weighted Windmills can now cause its sails to spin with just a Gravity-Antigravity reaction.Of course, things start to get screwy when there are a lot of Weighted Windmills around...
>>4526895the tsulaser disguises its crystal in order for prey not to see when it will fire.
>>4526617>>4525518have absorbed data from discarded dead shards turning it anchor into a foot allowing it to jump along away from predators and into new spots to observe
As creatures continue to evolve, new biomes form. The first of these is 'Fertile Soil'. Due to the feeding habits of Lag Machines (>>4526859) and the uncleaned excrement of the various animal-type Digiforms, patches of soil have become greatly fertile. Plants may evolve further to capitalize on this new kind of soil.On the other hand, Stranded Magnets (>>4525457) and Weighted Towers (>>4526914) have their powers intersect in weird ways. Spheres of magnetized airspace have appeared, sucking flying creatures into them. Getting in is much easier than getting out and flying creatures who find themselves trapped in such bubbles will have to adapt to live in the areas with less/altered gravity.Meanwhile, three of the moons have turned to reveal their faces and begin to stream specialized data into the Ark. For now, only plants may capitalize on these unique data sources. The first of the moons is: 'Treasure'. 'Treasure' streams in data about precious metals and precious gems. Plants that adapt to this data source may begin to produce crystals or special metals. The second of the moons is: 'War'. 'War' streams in tactical data as well as weapons data. Plants that make use of this data source may begin to develop more weapon-like appendages. The last of the moons is 'Fairy': Fairy streams in data about moons and mysticism. Plants that adapt to Fairy may begin to exhibit magical properties that cannot be easily explained by scientific methods. To be clear: ANIMALS AND PLANTS may begin adapting to the new biomes. ONLY PLANTS may begin to adapt to the new data sources.
>>4528035Ooops forgot trip
>>4525371Tashcannons are three Tashlink offense units networked together. They feed by networking with other Tashlinks and taking the food they produce.Tashcannons spend all their time trying to shoot down the moons, but the moons are so high up that they can't exactly hit them with their fireballs, even with three Offense units linked together.
>>4525371Edengeysers take the opposite approach. Now that the moons have been identified as the source of viral data, many food-units link up to a single processor unit. The processor unit has been re-specialized to focus on defense rather than offense. With several Edengeysers together, they can ward off a significantly large area, making spheres totally devoid of viral data.
>>4526923Tsulasers work with Tsusignals in order to hunt down the Exiles and the occasional Sala. Because their diet is so rich in armored creatures, they begin to develop armor themselves.
>>4527036Their bodies have greatly simplified and have adapted a more symmetrical form. This helps them hop around more easily.
>>4528046By planting themselves into the peaks and incorporating Treasure Data, Tashlasers have fused into crystal entities that fire focused beams into the sky.
>>4525350Anti-exiles evolve to live in packs, which hunt down any source of virus. They leave instances of their invasive vaccine program behind, weaving them into webs to trap the other Hunter subspecies.
>>4526901The Blackpalm grows continually thicker. It sways back and forth on a flexible trunk, baiting in creatures before punching them with the new Brass Knuckles it obtained from the weapon moon. The seeds are left behind in the form of spikes.
>>4526752Using Data from both War and Treasure Bowpalms have grown a bow as well as an arm allowing to to launch their now iron tipped spikes further
>>4525383To adapt to a branch of their former prey, the Midnights have started plating themself with metal data from the bodies of the cannons. They use the material to stave off the fire of the new >>4525242breeds.
>>4528122Their reliance on their arms cause the arms to develop further.
>>4528120Anti Exilos have special digits at the end of their back arms that allow them to braid their webs into ropes. They use the ropes to scale the steep inclines and declines of the caves, expanding their hunting territory.
>>4528131The War data has coalesced into advanced trajectory-computing systems that are concentrated in the Bowpalm's arm. It seems that as long as they can see their target, their accuracy is pretty good.
>>4528134Bowknights are Midnights that have been infected by >>4528163 in their child stage. Their mind is more plant than Midnight, and they'll constantly plant Bowpalm thorns in their young, turning them into more Bowknights.Once they reach the adult stage, they typically forego eating in favor of reproduction and planting more Bowpalms, dying of starvation within a matter of days. The children who have typically been infected with Bowpalm thorns are left to hunt and fend for themselves.
>>4528090Obelisks are immobile creatures that constantly fire destructive beams at the moons. Those lucky enough to grow on Edengeysers can feed, but those unlucky enough to not be supported by edengeysers typically die of starvation.Edengeysers ferry them around, place to place, using them as their own personal weapons platforms.Sadly, since their code is written on the surface of their bodies, mutations are common when these writings are damaged or smudged.
>>4525357A small colour mutation occurs.
>>4525453The strain grows a flatter, sharper nose to trowel through cave tiles with. It also develops flatter feet and a hard plate on the tail, which it bashes rocks with.
>>4526879Treasure Pots protect themselves with bait. Instead of the living creature itself, herbivores are entranced by the Gold Data within the hardened shell.Silver Chains deter herbivores from staying too long, but their purifying powers are limited compared to more advanced programs.
>>4528148Using the Fairy Data to purge its own internals, Polmes eject Chaff Pollen and Brass Spurs into the air. The Chaff blinds and confuses anyone nearby into wandering in circles, while Brass Spurs stick onto fur and skin until they find new fertile soil to grow upon.
>>4525338Flying higher than any other organism, Lunecams feed directly from the Fairy Moon. They still release image data, but it is mirrored and distorted, causing mutations to plants that consume it.
>>4528071To protect itself, Hopperforma create caltrops from War Data. Pieces of them break off with every hop, littering the ground with painful obstacles that slow down hunters.
>>4528071extra leg for extra jump
>>4528183The nose develops into a proper shovel and the tail becomes a bigger flail, to break rocks easier.
>>4528183Some Salas grow fat from eating baby Tsunots... Tsunots are really not very adapted for dealing with Salas, so they can eat them just fine as long as they can hide quickly.
>>4528193With most of its viral data purged, Polmes go on a war path. Its pollen, when it lands on a viral Blackpalm species, quickly grows into a series of small nubs which eventually fuse into an adult Polme.Adult Polme uproot viral Blackpalms within reach.
>>4528213Smaller body for higher jump. They'll plant themselves in poop or fertile soil, though.
>>4528196Fairy Skimmers feed directly from the Fairy Moon. Some days, they can get so numerous that they completely block the fairy moon's data from reaching the ground, but when that happens, Obelisks shoot them down.It seems that old habits die hard, though, and they occasionally fly back down to the ground and attempt to bond with any plant that they can access... Sometimes they are successful, sometimes they aren't.Any plant they bond with becomes pumped full of fairy data.
>>4528182Gateaux Salas have muscular upper bodies and large claws. They hunt down baby Deschatons and the frail male Deschatons who can't defend themselves.
>>4528188Treasure Vases are filled with so much Treasure data that any animal who sees them will begin to covet them. Those who eat its leaves slowly become turned into solid gold, and the Treasure Vase will suck up the petrified creatures with its silver chains.
>>4528193The Bloomer Polm is beginning to undergo a beautiful evolutionary metamorphosis: it's once plantlike tissue is beginning to thicken and solidify, becoming much closer to tightly wound, rippling, sweating muscle.
>>4528271Bloomer Polms gain stronger roots and gain some degree of control over their lower halves. Most of the time this leads to Bloomer Polms falling over and dying, but those smart enough to leverage their limited movement can occasionally trap Salas and leech nutrients off them.
>>4526633'Bishop' Trotans are Trotans with Vaccine data. They have the ability to generate windows that are extremally difficult to break. In exchange for data Bishops will build forts out of windows around a King. These window castles can get ridiculously big since they need very little data beyond the initial cost. However as the number of windows grows the surrounding area eventually starts to lag. At first this is beneficial since it deters herbivores. But eventually it reaches a critical point and causes an area wide crash, leaving all Trotans inside exposed.
>>4528090Some Tashlasers have realized an 'innovative' way to try and attack the moons. By growing their crystals on their undersides they can rocket up into to impale the moon with a spikey payload of Tash seeds. Unfortunately for these RocketeerTashs the gravity produced by the Moons is far to great for the Tashs to overcome, leaving their payload to grow from the crash sites.
>>4525222Buried deep within the code of the Cannibal Shrooms was an error that caused the veils of the Shrooms to become independent under certain conditions. This error was later rectified when the Cannibal Shrooms underwent the transition from animal to plant. This error however has once again reared it's ugly along with a unusual mutation, the veils can dived themselves to reproduce. The Veil typical spends it's time passively absorbing data and flying away through the use of pressurized gas when Hunter Exiles near.
>>4528714Rooktans are Bishop Trotans that have absorbed plenty of data from 'War'. They focus on defensive efforts and barriers, which they use to fortify and optimize the walls made by Bishop Trotans. While they're good at optimization of already existing walls, it seems that they have a hard time making them from scratch so they don't bother.
>>4529305Hunter Salas have repurposed their antiviral data into a more offensive form. Since they're actually too weak to hunt down most Deschatons, they hunt down other Salas.
>>4526814Because their heavy frames are too heavy for their stick legs, their legs have degenerated into useless flippers. It is the slow male's job to search for Tower Sap to act as food, while the females protect him with incredible ferocity. It seems that the males remain pretty docile for their size, however.
>>4528976Puffbags are a cannibal shroom offshoot. It fills itself with a noxious, spore-filled gas, then releases its spores when it detects a Hunter Exile near it.
>>4528148War it is.The Blackpalm scans the Fairy Data and figured out a vulnerability. It doesn’t take much for them to swap out their brass knuckles for Iron knuckles, to do more damage to the rival plants. They also develop more robust root systems, to keep themselves grounded.
>>4528883Rocketeer Tashes have evolved into Repulsor Tashes. By concentrating its shots into globs of kinetic energy, it's able to get farther into the sky than using normal beams. Its ability to fire beams has lessened in favor of this new repulsor-type technology, but it can't seem to actually store enough Repulsor shots to reach the moon...It gets close though and should it refine the Repulsor technology further, it should be able to reach one of the closer moons.
>>4529717By analyzing Treasure Data and configuring it to be Anti-Fairy, the Blackblue has created the blue-tinged Orichalcum metal. This metal has been suffused at a low density throughout its entire body, making it more or less immune to the Fairy-aligned Polmes. The Orichalcum data forces the Blackblue to be more squat in appearance and it seems that Orichalcum data is toxic to animals as well. On the other hand, its toxicity means less herbivores are willing to approach it so it has a harder time reproducing... Orichalcum seems to be a little toxic to itself as well, causing the Blackblues to have shorter lifespans compared to their Blackpalm counterparts.

>>4528243>>4525587Accidentally, a Fairy Skimmer has tried to fuse with a Salas, mistaking it for a plant due to it's faulty image recognition; thus was born the Flying Salas.
>>4528243The Fairy Hooker will swoop down into a Salas nest and take a single baby using it's vicious hooks every full moon. The purpose of this act is unknown, and the babies are never seen again.
>>4529769Queens are highly offense-focused Trotals that are often considered a last resort. They spend most of their time in hibernation, consuming as little resource as possible. Activation of them depletes a Trotan colony's stockpiles to be consumed quickly, but they can fend off most threats to the trotan hive. When activated, then starved, they tend to devolve into Knights.
>>4529777Serves those baby eating fucks right
>>4529777Fairy Hookers seem to be executing a function to create 'magic wands'. These wands allow Fairy Hookers to create warded spaces for their coven where Fairy-data gathers...It looks like the magic wands are created from Blackpalm branches and Sala skulls...When their wand is taken from them, they seem to forget how to create them unless made to remember by another wanded Fairy Hooker.
>>4529769Knighted Trotans ride atop their hats for increased reach and speed.
>>4529741Waxblues secrete a protective film between the Orichalcum and plant data. This slightly reduces the toxicity, and enables them to interact with the metal in more varied ways. One such way is by striking the metal with their knuckles, creating resonant Sonic Waves.
>>4529774Fairy Dogs have most of their brain taken up by their Fairy Skimmer counterparts. They feed on Fairy-type data and are attracted to areas with strong fairy energy. This often causes them to run afoul of >>4529793It seems that the Fairy Data only feeds its Fairy Skimmer counterpart, so it is occasionally forced to hunt any animal nearby to feed the Sala portion.
>>4528176Because of all the chaotic takeoffs and landings, several obelisks fell to the lands below, damaging their crystals. In their attempts at self-repair, they grew into much larger Monoliths rooted on flatter ground, forming new symbols and programs on their surface.

>>4525464With the creation of gravitational fields, Highway Magnets try to create closed magnetic fields to control their "territory" of flowing data.
>>4529816Fairy Totems are what happens when a broken monolith attempts to self-repair in an area with a high concentration of Fairy Data. Typically, this happens in a Warded Area created by >>4529793Fairy Totems seem to contain instructions on how to cast spells, which Fairy Hookers can gain access to by Networking with it...Fairy Hookers who learn spells this way will forget them if they lose their wands, though...
>>4529802Waxdrums are Waxblues that go all in on the idea of using sound data. It constantly secretes a yellow wax that tastes sweet.Usually, it plays a beat that keeps herbivores away, but when it's covered with a lot of wax, it plays a special rhythm that causes herbivores to approach it.While herbivores are close, it discretely sticks them with a thorn from which more Waxdrums grow when the herbivore dies.Sometimes, when a herbivore is stuck with enough Waxdrum spikes, they become suicidal.
>>4525222The Pop Shrooms are Cannibal Shrooms that have abandoned their viral ways in favor of growing out of one of the most plentiful forms of data, poop. To get to this potent source of data they use a combination of exploding spore sacs and runners to spread new shrooms to Poop piles. The spores help with wide area spreading, such as out of caves, and the runners help with local spread. They also have proper roots to better absorb poop.
>>4525512>>4529777While attaching to an adult Deschaton usially leads to a quick life, Fairy Hookers that attach to a young Deschaton can impede their evolution process. The males become more slender and their armor less durable. For all intents and purposes, adult male Fairy Deschs exist only to eat Tower Sap and reproduce.Meanwhile, females get a large buff, gaining two new appendages from their Fairy Hooker component. Females will compete for males and then defend the nest.Concubines are allowed, but only in the sense that the concubine females become feeding cows for the head female's offspring.Fairy Deschs will typically settle into Warded Spaces, expelling the Fairy Hookers that live there. Often by dismembering them.Fairy Hookers deplete Warded Spaces quickly, so they live a nomadic lifestyle.
>>4529869Poop shrooms begin to resemble the poop that they grow in. They exude a strong, concentrated poop-smell that deters those that could want to eat them.Thankfully, they only grow on poop piles.
>>4529869Some Pop Shrooms develop complex search systems under their veils. While these are a costly investment, they are now able to utilize up to 80% of a given turd's garbage code by finding slivers of functional programs left inside.
>>4529869Those that have not adapted to reconstituting usable data from waste have chosen to vent the unusable material the hard way: by converting the poop into the meme gas that a long time ago coursed through their own veins. They derive much less energy from poop, but compensate for it with far better protection - after all, no animal wants to step into an area of chemical warfare.
>>4529932Gachi shrooms grow around the base of Blackpalm species. Their search program is more accurate, at the cost of eating up more resources. This would normally be a problem, but they are able to get a lot of nutrients from their Blackpalm host. In return, when the Gachi Shroom dies, all the usable poop data that it has stored is passed back into their host.
>>4529938Koffing Shrooms concentrate their meme gas before expelling it. In areas with a large Koffing Shroom population, the area is essentially a no-go zone until the Koffing Shrooms die off from lack of nutrition. They spread mycelium underground so when the above-ground bodies die off, they can revive when given more life-giving poop.
>>4525223Icetsunots have reawaken long dormant Frost Zone data, once used to rebuff the freezing temperatures, now used to bring them. Icetsunots live on top of the mountains where their light grey skin helps them blend in with the ground. To better hide themselves they are capable of creating ice and mainly snow to cover the ground. They then make tunnels inside the layers of snow and wait for any unfortunate creature to land near them, at which point they burst out of their tunnel and freeze their prey to death.
>>4530002Icehacknots have transformed their back limbs into hacking devices that hack a certain area to become colder. While a single Icehacknot's effect on the environment is negligible, it can quickly stack up as more Icehacknots edit the terrain to be colder. They have grown some fur to adapt to the cold climate.
>>4525221Midnightcavers are Midnights that have adapted to life in the caves. The Midnightcavers have lost there wings, snout, and eyes to better maneuver through the caves. In exchange for their eyes they have a gained a electroreceptory sensory spot that can glow on command. This spot helps significantly in their baby form, allowing them to disguise themselves as Tsunot poop. This allows them to hide from stronger creatures and ambush weaker ones. Midnightcavers are also capable of shooting bursts of electricity at prey.
>>4525214A Burned-out Tashlink is a Tasklink that has damaged it's fire generation processes do to trying to overcome the cold produced by Icetsunots and Icehacknots. To prevent their abandonment by the greater colony the Tashlink devotes all of is processing power to gathering data for use by functioning Tashlinks, making Burned-out Tashlinks a delicious snack for the rare herbivores on the mountains.
>>4529769>>4529692War stregthens even more, and the Trotans are split into two highly teritorial subspecies: Pegagus Trotans (vaccine data) and Mareware Trotans (viral data). In addition, two new ranks are added:Pawns are simplistic, easily reproducable units that can swarm prey and drag them to portal-bearing units nearby. The Queen serves to optimize speed by compressing nearby castle data, as well as sporting the ability to both create and fortify walls at a faster rate than rooks or bishops.

More biomes form as a result of creatures.Warded Spaces are composed of points and lines where Fairy-typed data concentrates. Chiefly curated by Fairy Skimmers, all manner of Fairy-affected creatures get attracted to these spaces. It seems like reality gets a bit warped by the Fairy Data, so creatures that make their home here may start developing magic powers that they won't have outside of these Warded Spaces.Cold Mountains are where Ice-typed Tsunots live. They hack the data there to be constantly cold and the cold flows from the mountains, down to the plains, greatly reducing the temperatures of the first level of the Ark as a whole.Poop Piles are the designated shitting spots for the creatures. Here, Popshrooms grow in abundance, feeding on the junk data and synthesizing usable programs from it.In addition to the new biomes, three new moons have begun streaming specialized data. The first of these moons is 'Insect'. Insect streams in the tenacity of insects in the real world, as well as data that could be remolded to fit a more parasitic model of growth. The second of the moons is 'Weather'. 'Weather' streams in weather data from the real world and can grant plants the ability to change the weather. The last of the moons is 'Transmutation'. Closely linked to 'Treasure', 'Transmutation' allows for the synthesis of common materials into denser, high-value ones. Plants may impact their environment by changing common dirt into something more nutritious. For now, only plants may benefit from 'Insect', 'Weather' and 'Transmutation'. These properties may be granted to animals if plants fuse with animals.Animals that specialize in eating plants with 'Treasure', 'War' and 'Fairy' properties may more closely integrate themselves with data from these plants.MOREOVER, due to the efforts of Obelisk-type digiforms, small chunks have been blasted off of 'Gravity', 'War', 'Treasure' and 'Fairy'. The chunks that rain down on the Ark can be potent sources of mutations for those near them.
>>4530298Red Creeps are Tashlinks that have further degenerated. Having no roots to speak of, they are easily eaten by the stray herbivore.Where Red Creeps grow, Tashlink species become more coordinated as Red Creeps increases their computing power.
>>4530240Mindnights children become fatter to better resemble Tsunot poop. Their adult forms become characterized by their short snouts and bulbous heads that glow in the dark.It seems that their left claw has gained an additional digit, allowing them to better climb and navigate the caves that have been marked by Anti Exilo ropes. They use their electrical powers to 'cook' Cannibal shrooms, letting them eat the parasitic shrooms without getting infected. It seems that they also like to cook the Tsunot and Exiles that they find before eating them.
>>4529908Shitmeras are shrooms that have extracted junk data from poop and configured it back into scraps of other creatures. It serves little advantage, but grants the entity a bit more animal instinct than what it once had.
>>4531049Shitmeras that primarily grow in Midnight excrement occasionally grow arms from data they've excavated from the poop.Sadly, they don't have the complex programming required to move these arms and they end up shedding them more often than not.At the very least, the shed arms can act as food for Salas who can stand the smell.

>>4529848>>4531000One very unlucky Fairy Totem was struck by a falling shard of the Fairy Moon, warping the totem to it's core. The shard still produces data about moons and mysticism, though in highly reduced amounts, allowing plants around Moon-Struck Totems to flourish and Fairy based data structures to be boosted. In addition Moon-Struck Totem offspring are capable of growing entirely new shards, though this process takes absorbed amounts of data, something creatures like Fairy Hookers are more than happy to help fulfill. Oddly enough the Totem itself has changed very little due to the influence of it's shard. It has grown larger and now contains more spells, though many of them are unusable for what ever reason and many usable ones contain themes of 'Burn', 'Hate', and 'Help'. It also has begun growing leaves and streaming a message into the sky...
>>4529932Joshrooms have come to a surprising obvious solution, if they get people to poop directly in them they wouldn't have to waste data growing roots to new poop! Now they have holes on their tops where poop can be inserted and in exchanged a fruit grows on the shroom that is chock full of data. This fruit also contains a harmless virus that causes a seed to form in their next poop. If they don't poop in a Joshroom this seed will grow into a new Joshroom from the poop.
>>4528061To better support their fellow Tashs and fight off the encroaching cold of the Icetsuns, Edengeysers and Redcreeps have fused together into Redhotgeysers. Using their enormous overclocked computing power they are able to pump large amounts of heat into the area, creating conditions similar to that of the Heat Zone. These conditions boost the capabilities of Tashs and Tash decedents and allow them to grow much better.
>>4529717The Blackpalms grow more robust, and begin sprouting iron thorns from their body. These are used as both reproductive tools, and as way to ward off the Fairy buds that attempt to cling to them. Unlike >>4529741 Blackblue, they aren't inherently immune to Polmes, but they're able to wipe them away rather easily, due to long arms and the tendril atop its dwindling bud.
>>4528171The Bowknights begin growing a constant supply of thorns from their body, using their pauldrons as a quiver of sorts. Their wings gain a thinner membrane, and they fold them up to form a 'hood' over their faces when at rest.
>>4525459Sightnights sucked into >>4528035 Magnet Bubbles adapt to being shunted to and fro by the conflicting fields. The rubbery insulation grows to cover most of their bodies, stopping them from being magnetized. They still have some metal bits that are forced around by the 'currents', but the rest of their bulk is powerful enough to fight back.
>>4528228The brass spurs are shaped more like caltrops. Those wandering by tend to step on them by accident, and when the pained creature flees, the spike is brought with them until it slides out on its own. Glades are also protected from consumption by a ground full of spiky offspring, preventing non-fliers from approaching. The shape of the Polme continues to shift, following images and aesthetics found in the Fairy data.
>>4532200A Trolltan colony has introduced the Insect Data into itself. It begins taking on traits of colony-based insects, including using Hexagonal cells instead of square windows.
>>4526734A breed of Vhexile goes for a less tanky approach to defense. Rather than thickening the shroom to form armour, a system develops inside the backshroom, cannibalising portions of the creature in order to form viral junk. When the shroom is struck by a tashlink attack, it reactively fires out large clouds of junk data. The clouds of targets reduces the likelihood of the Vhexile being struck, as the basic plant-like Tashlinks don't have target prioritisation. This allows them to finally escape the caves, into new feeding grounds ripe with plants and data. No more shitty mushrooms.
>>4529968A type of Gachi Shroom has evolved that can live on the face of any animal. It gives an extreme boost to it's host's intelligence and ability to formulate ideas - it's just too bad that all those ideas are absolutely terrible.
>>4532262Polme Lilly seedlings develop mildly toxic, extremely bitter blue flowers that deter herbivores from eating them. As they grow, they fade into pink, delicious flowers that attract herbivores so they can stick caltrops into them
>>4532257These Sightnights give up their main wings in exchange for a series of magnetic sensors. While these make them much less effective at flying while outside of Magnetic Bubbles, their capacity to hunt while in the bubbles is unparalleled. They mostly hunt Salas that have made their way into the mountains, as well as the Exile and Tsunots that make their way out of the caves.
>>4532255Bowknights other arm completely turns into a quiver. They use their wings as hoods more often than not and shunt the secondary wings upon growth. They live deep in the Blackpalm forests, subsisting almost entirely of plants and the rare Midnight or Sala that make their way in there.
>>4532302Animals can't absorb data directly from the new moons. They have to get them from plants and there aren't any plants with Weather data.
>>4532308Noted. How do plants absorb moon data though?
>>4532270Some of the colony members gain specializations.By making the sword a part of its body, the Knight becomes better at attacking those who come to the hive. On top of his defense duties, a Knight leads groups of pawns to gather pollen from Blackpalms. The King becomes bloated and mostly stomach. The King's job is to partially digest the gathered pollen so they don't bloom into polmes. The Bishop similarly is able to build faster by making his tools part of his body.
>>4532314Plants synthesize data streamed down from the moons.
>>4531450When a Deschaton female gets pregnant, she turns into a Matron. Matrons are extremely bulky, similar to the male version of their ancestors, and are aggressive unlike the more docile members of their pack.Matrons require a lot of food in order to maintain their constant pregnancy and their bulk, so a pack only has room for one matron and other matrons get kicked out of the pack by the most powerful matron. Most matrons kicked out this way starve to death in a matter of days due to their caloric requirements.Meanwhile, the males are most useless and are in fact killed just to feed the Matron.Matrons' scales are more attached to their body because it is the other females who scale-feed their young.
>>4531766Is this a plant?
>>4532326Yes, it synthesizes data directly from the air.
>>4531766As they absorb data from the Weather moon, some Redhot geysers start to billow out large amount of smoke as a biproduct of their flame. While it doesn't bother them, it certainly bothers other air-dwellers, indirectly creating a concrete way of establishing Tashlink territory.
>>4532274Data has stabilized, distributing the Search Engine software throughout the Cave Mindnight's body. These possessed Midnights are great at finding unguarded food, but not much else.
>>4532273Chaff Vhexes have turned their mushroom portion into a cannon. These mushroom cannons can spew out clouds of viral data, making them more efficient.
>>4532262>>4528134Midnights that have been incidentally infected by Polmes grow into Fairy Midnights. Their long snake-like tails have been replaced by tendril-like roots and their wings have rotted off by being consumed by the Polme plant.Although there are many disadvantages, Fairy Midnights have been able to make a living for themselves as pugilists. They become exceptionally good at punching things, even things that fly.
>>4531059Shitmeras grow prehensile tendrils to move themselves around to sources of junk data. Their limbs continue to form, blooming like fruit whenever enough of a certain creature's excrement is consumed. These parts drop off once formed, as they aren't attached to anything that can support them. This allows new food to be made from excrement, returning waste data back into the ecosystem. It also goes against the old adage of Not Shitting Where You Eat, as poo fields have actual sources of food within them now.
>>4525363The Blulas, faced with an overwhelming abundance of new animal species, begin growing bolder in their hunting. They develop a more powerful, muscular frame, and begin growing the teeth of a carnivore. They're still vaccine-oriented, and thus prefer to hunt down viral creatures.
>>4532325The Cup Deschaton's most notable deviation from baseline is the emergence of plates on the backs of the females which separate the eggsac from the rest of the body in a sort of cup, making it much less likely for infant development to damage the mother's body.A secondary deviation is the transformation of the head into a flight apparatus.
>>4532273After making it out of the caves, some Vhexiles obtain an upright posture, so that they can chase prey and get the meat that they've so desperately craved while stuck in the tunnels. Residual effects from the Cannibal Shrooms cause prey and rivals to come straight for the Vhexile. When the hunters are eventually defeated, scavengers and victorious prey eat the shrooms and continue to propagate it outside the caves.
>>4529741The Blackblue continues to analyze data to figure out a way to reproduce while remaining protected. Eventually, it finds its answer in the Transmutation data. >>4531000The Blackblue forms little Gold kernels from what was once iron thorns. It scatters these around for Herbivores to try and consume. The kernels pass through the system of the herbivores harmlessly, and sprout once passed out from the body. As a result, the Blackblues begin sprouting in the shitfields.
>>4532356Psst, hey, don't evolve your own evos.
>>4531000>>4529863Waxbozus synthesize Weather data and gains the ability to alter the weather. By banging on their drums in a certain pattern, they can bring about an onset of localized digi-rain to feed themselves, even in remote locations. This allows previously barren areas to begin flourishing. Other plants in the area benefit greatly from this as well. When enough congregate and all attempt to attract rain at once, however, colossal storms of data can rain down, causing mass chaos.
>>4532359Due to additional orichalcum data, the Blackblue continues to grow squatter. The toxic nature of the data causes many errors, including extra undeveloped arms. While it's easy for the Blackblue to transmute Orichalcum data around its arms into the non-toxic gold, the Blackblue has to vent excess orichalcum in its body in small deposits around its crown.
>>4532364Terubozus have extra drums with which to create more localized weather effects. They protect their precious thorns by hiding them in their bozu arms, then using wind weather effects to launch their thorns.
>>4532351Blulls hunt in packs, led by the most muscular and sharpest clawed Blull. They mostly proliferate on the south of the Ark, where their favored Deschatons can't fly.
>>4528286Bloomer Polms in areas that receive digi-rain from the Terubozus gain wider leaves to better catch data.Unrelated to the previous adaptation, some find schematics for a peashooter in the weapons data. They make little firearms to blast herbivores with their thorns from afar.
>>4532386Bloomer Polmes develop a wide-brimmed flower and leaf with a sort of shallow cup shape that helps it retain water. It seems that immature Polmes can walk around before they start rooting, but they generally don't stray far from their mother Polme because they have no defenses.
>>4532386Some Bloomer Polmes absorb more Weapons data from 'War' than others.Shooter Polmes are still pugilists, but they punctuate their punches with solid gold ammunition.
>>4532366Oriloids use Transmutation Data to incorporate Silver and Gold into the Orichalcum, creating a non-toxic alloy that strengthens the creature. Excess toxin and Orichalcum are funneled into the vestigal arms, which grow into bulbous bombs that explode on would-be predators.
>>4532307Crowknights partially cure their infection by consuming Orichalcum. They still seed their young with arrows, but retain enough autonomy to serve their own needs. In order to prevent re-infection, they shoot larger bows from further away to kill their prey.
>>4532418Immature Polmes are now born with functional feet, running to stay within their parents' sphere of protection.Their 3-legged gait is unusual, but a fourth leg is too wasteful given the amount of time they spend rooted and absorbing moisture.
>>4531400By breathing in specific kinds of Weather and Fairy data, the Bendy-sword Trotans can emulate various elements. There are five subspecies: Water, Lightning, Fire, Stone and Wind.
>>4531589Fairy totems diverge. Those that are consumed by self hatred become corrupted and become corruptive in turn. They turn Fairy data into dark data and slowly corrupt any Fairy digiforms that sup on this corrupted data, making them aggressive and suicidal when there's nowhere else to turn that aggression to. Radiation from the Transmutation moon allows them to turn their territories toxic and hostile to life. The fairy totems that are able to rid themselves of self-hatred fuse with the moon shard and become a positive force for healing. Energy from the Transmutation moon allows them to increase the value of their territory, transmuting it into Treasure-data.
>>4532433Incorporating Orichalcum in their diets have shortened the Crowknights' lifespans as well as making them slightly shorter and squatter. It seems that excess orichalcum deposits have begin developing as a sort of armor around their bodies.
>>4532383The long-held Holy Ring around their necks develops an extension in the Blull leaders. They form halos that blast out antiviral light at viruses nearby, to keep them safe when hunting near the southern plains. Especially when they wander towards the Tower Array forest. An unfortunate side-effect is the ring automatically detecting and blasting Array Towers, risking breaching and releasing the viruses inside.
>>4531005Creepveins have taking in Insect Data in order to spread without the support of Tasklinks.Their widespread surface area makes them highly efficient at generating food. Instead of defending itself, it simply feeds creatures that walk on it, passively injecting data that makes Creepveins appear as allied species.Their control does not work well on viruses, but they thrive anyway in the magnetic regions. Their lack of metal properties allows them to stick to the ground while the other creatures fight in constant conflict.
>>4529727Taking in Transmutation Data to create more powerful blasts, Alchemy Repulsors fly even further into the sky.As a side effect, the globs of energy transform the ground rather than destroying them. Soil and earth is converted into a hardened crust, with sections of sand. Some sections are incredibly thin and brittle, breaking away into sizable sinkholes. As the hardened crust can sometimes reveal valuable ores, certain creatures search these areas and fall into the holes.
>>4532527Shell Spires take in massive amounts of Insect Data to eject the Moon Fragment. This dramatically shifts the effect it has on the environment.Previously corrupted data erupts into towers of enamel. These and living creatures near the Shell Spire slowly "scab" over with chitin and shell. For some this is a blessing of additional armor, for others an unnecessary weight or even prison as they find themselves trapped in their own body.
>>4530298Having all of their external processes broken down, certain Tashlinks reveal old core programs that become altered by Transmutation Data.Concrete Links transmute the very ash generated by their parent colonies to create highways of concrete. These smooth, stable structures are strong and resistant to corrosion, making them safe havens. But that very same smoothness and hardness makes them surprisingly slippery. Claw and hoof-type feet have a hard time getting traction, and hovering entities slide off completely.
>>4526645Ovisalas' become fiercer and more aggressive as they incidentally absorb residual data from their eggs' hosts. Eventually, the junk code becomes accumulating, and many individuals grow disfigured or infertile, leading to the survival of only those who evolved special protective firewall 'seals' against residual data absoption. Additionally, their nubs turn into wings, and their fangs grow larger and stronger. These morphological changes aid them in their new predation method; attacking small digiforms, hanging onto them and bringing them up in their, so as to have an easier time stabbing them with their larger ovopositioning stingers.
>>4533958oops forgot the picture
>>4526641Meshchatons' extremely energy efficient forms allows for a one-of-a-kind adaptation. They have managed to concentrate large amounts of energy in their heads, which they then can emit at will in the form of energy beams.
>>4531694Flowering Joshrooms develop, well, flowers. They have the same properties of regular flowers, allowing for data recombination processes (see: sex), and attracting possible pollinators to poop on them, thus doubling the amount of data they get from a single fruit.
>>4529808Fairy dogs develop stabby feet to stab their prey with.
>>4532343Fairy Pugilists become a species of their own, as their eggs begin to carry spores of Polmes within their insides. They develop 'nostrils', an amazing new organ that allows them to percieve traces of data left by digiforms, known as 'aromas' and 'smells'. They also gain sharper teeth, and the ability to secrete a poisonous sap from them, which has power pheromones in it. These pheromones cause prey to become crazy, almost berserk, which may seem like a disadvantage for the Pugilists. However, these fairy digiforms love a good fight, and giving berserkers a whooping makes them incredibly horny, which in turns increases the amount of younglings produced.
>>4533979Teleporn Shrooms have managed to redevelop their index organs, thanks to the disparate remnants of the index organ's code scattered among Shroom strains being stitched together through the act of sexual gene transfer. Where chunks of code were missing, their search engines came in as substitutes. The index organ is still capable of detecting a given type of lifeform at any distance, and has also gained the ability to send information to anything it has detected. This is mainly used in reproduction.
The Fairy moon has been destroyed, sending Fairy data-charged Fragments raining around the Ark.In light of this, a new biome called 'Ley Points' have been created. Similar to Warded Spaces, Ley Points exude Fairy Data due to being centered around a fragment of 'Fairy'.Those who construct their bodies with Fairy Data must migrate to either Ley Points or Warded spaces in order to survive, or else, lose adapt to lose the 'Fairy' component of their data.Additional forests have begun to sprout in the north. One of them is the 'Polme Forest', centered around a fragment of 'Fairy'. The other is the 'Orichalcum Forest', where Orichalcum-based plants and creatures live. The original Northern Forest contains a mix of plants from the Polme Forest and Orichalcum Forest, but since it doesn't have a Ley Point, it is unlikely that the Fairy Data-based creatures will survive unless they adapt. In the mountains, Creepveins create wide-reaching networks that boost the computing capabilities of Tashlinks. They grow mostly unimpeded, except for the cold spots created by the cold-aligned Tsunots where they cannot thrive. In the south plains, the plants have been given free reign, except for the Warded Spaces jealously guarded by the Fairy Hookers. It seems that the Fairy hookers have become drastically more aggressive now that their main source of Fairy data is gone.In light of all these drastic changes in biome, it seems the remaining moons have decided not to reveal their true natures yet.To summarize:Fairy-Aligned creatures must adapt to either the Warded Space, Leypoint or Polme Forest biomes or lose their fairy data in order to survive.Everyone else must migrate to The Mountains (Magnetic Fields, Cold Spots, Tashvein Colonies), The Caves, the Northern or Southern forest in order to survive.Additionally, a crater has been cleared due to a particularly large chunk of Fairy. At the bottom of the crater is a particularly potent Leypoint. Please include what biome your creature is adapting to in order for it to survive. The biomes are:Leypoint/Warded Space/Polme ForestNorthern ForestOrichalcum ForestNorthern PlainsSouthern ForestMagnetic Field (Mountain)Cold Spot (Mountain)Tashvein Colony (Mountain)CavesThe Crater
>>4535600https://imgur.com/a/U7A1ZOrHere are the phylogeny charts. Anything below the red line will be dead by the next event, which is Wednesday.Evolve what you guys want to save and don't forget to include their biome from the list of above biomes.
>>4532554Alabaster Crows have further abandoned their winged functions for agile movement and camouflage among trees. They live in the Northern Forest hunting their prey, only visiting the Orichalcum Forest to restock on arrows.Their weapons and armor are detached from their bodies to reduce toxin buildup, but the initial seeding with an arrow is still a necessary step in their growth.
>>4532200The Trotan Hordes migrate to the mountains. The Pegasi inhabit the peaks and faces whilst the Marekin inhabit the caves. Regardless, their war wages on furiously, sometimes getting other creatures into the mix.In addition, the queens abandon their unwieldly Greatswords for a series of small but deadly fast blades. This cuts their energy need by a bit, but not by much.
>>4536935>>4536935The Trotan hordes, sooner than later, learn that perpetual war places a heavy strain on resources. Data usage is optimized, with the King, Pegasi, and Marekin trotan ´fusing´. The Trotan colonies become true feuds, and a sizable portion of the digiworld's mountains become walled off, turned into windows for their digestive subdimensions. In times of need, pawns will rush into any species of digiform, regardless of size or strength, and do their best to bring them into their Kingdom.
>>4529793Do to the increase pressure put upon the Warded Spaces by the destruction of the Fairy Moon, some Fairy Hookers have gained the ability to evolve into Fairy Lords. Fairy Lords posses far more robust bodies then there previous state, with more dexterous limbs and ability to move without there wings thanks to a basic wheel. They also posses a far more advance mind capable of understanding the more advance spells contained within Totems. Fairy Lords typically spend there time managing Warded Spaces and working towards the growth of additional Totems.
>>4525206Some Blackpalms within the Northern Forest have forgone the thorn method in favor of simple growing and dropping seeds from their petals. This method is far less reliant on animals as well as significantly more energy efficient, due to no longer having to move. These seeds eventually grow into a simple sapling then into a proper Blackplam.
>>4528163Bowplams within the Northern Forest have furthered the viability of their seed-arrows taking root in a victim by growing prongs on the arrows. These prongs stabilize the arrow while in flight and makes it extreme difficult to remove once imbedded.
>>4532298Sightnights within the Magnetic Fields have further specialized for their given environment. They have traded their last pair of wings, in both their baby and adult forms, in exchange for a large pair of magnetic boosters. These magnetic sensors give them unparalleled speed within the Fields but very little maneuverability. This speed is great for charging down prey or running away from predators.
>>4529976Due to the danger and shrinkage of the Fertile Soil, the Koffingshroom now mainly grows in the caves. Due to the low number of viable spots in the caves the Koffingshroom implores new tactics to spread throughout the caves. The Koffingshroom can now grow nodules that eventually pop off the main plant. These floating nodules are built to home-in on any 'fertile' spot then explode violently into a mix of spores and meme gas.
>>4526886Due to a minor duping glitch in the Tsusignal's reproduction code it now posses a ring of signal organs around it's entire body. This makes the cave dwelling creature a overwhelming sun to signal sensing creatures, often overwhelming them and causing them to faint, leaving the Tsusignal to devour them.
>>4528065Tsulasers have redeveloped their false crystals, now in the correct color. Not really that usefully since they live in caves and there really isn't enough light to see colors properly but hey it's pretty cool.
>>4534007Fairy Pugilists become more infected by their Polme half in their baby stage. Thanks to this they can disguise them selves as young Polmes inside their native biome, the Polme Forest.
>>4530011To better maintain and expand the Cold Spots that make up their territory, the Icehacknot's hacking devices have been upgraded with icey jacks. These Jacks let them better interface, allowing a single Icehacknot to be capable of large scale terrain modification.
>>4525215Due to the crashing chunks of the Fairy moon Deschatons have had to permanently migrate to the Southern Forest. Due to the relative scarcity of Vaccine data sources, such as Salas, female Deschatons develop several overgrown scales on their underside. These enlarged scales let the females store Vaccine data in a more efficient and easier to eat way, letting them better feed young Deschatons when Vaccine data is low.
>>4525231Contrary to popular belief Salas do in fact not eat that many babies for the simple fact that they have an overwhelming urge to kill all Virus types. Do to this urge they can be found in decent numbers across the Ark in locations with high virus counts. The locations they can be commonly found in are the two major forests, the Mountains, and the Caves. Due to their widespread and general weakness compared to most lifeforms they need to serve as the primary herbivore for much of the Ark. Due to the massive pressure this has put upon them Salas' bodies have become much more refined and almost all physical attributes have taken a fairly big step forward. However they're still far to weak to fight any animals but baby forms. The main changes have taken places structurally and behaviorally. Sala data has become far more Vaccine dense letting them shrug off the effects of most viruses with ease letting them consume even the most toxic of plants. Salas now more easily recognize that non-Viruses are a threat and will run away from them, they also sometimes form packs to better protect themselves.
>>4532355Cup Deschatons are now forced to abandoned their nomadic lifestyle due to the destruction of the Fairy Moon. They now live out their entire lives within the Warded Spaces. Due to the close presence to the moon shards the males have mutated a third eye.
>>4531008Mindnights have gained a larger mouth to better eat the large prey that can be found in their native caves.
>>4528176Obelisks are the main tool of the Tashvein Colonies to strike out at the Moons. To better attack those horrible things the Obelisk has gained a secondary focusing crystal that help minimize the energy lose of the laser beam.
>>4531766Redhotgeysers are now triple overclocked granting them even more heat and processing power. At this level of overclocking the surrounding Tashvein colony is at risk of exploding if any thing bad happens to the Redhotgeyser, due to the sheer level of heat built up inside them.
>>4531005Red Creeps gain a central branch, this central branch helps coordinate with the local Tashvein Colony and determines which Tash is in most need of computing power and then directs the power to said Tash.
>>4532430Orinels Further incorporate alloys into their weapons, letting them fire their knuckles as short-range grappling hooks to reel in foes and explode in their face.Their numbers are not many, but they are greatly feared in the Orichalcum Forests.
>>4528976Traveling through rain, magnetic fields, snow, fire, and Ley points, much of the data has washed away from Veils, leaving only barely functional Bakes.Nearly invisible to all predators now, they are free to absorb data from the newly stable Biomes.
>>4528061The Edenlink has abandoned all notions of self preservation and now only works toward the goal of gathering food from the moons. It is completely incapable of defending itself from even the most basic of attacks, relying entirely on it's Tashvein colony, and in exchange can produce a staggering amount of food for the entire colony. Do to their massive size only a few can normally grow per colony.
>>4532527Thru the use of Weather data Seeliefairytotems are able to draw in digirain formed by the clash between the Cold Spots and Tashvein Colonies and bless it with healing data. This healing is especially nutritious to plants and cause them to overgrow near where ponds of the stuff form. Seeliefairytotems typically only cause these storms to form when they have been well taken care of.
>>4526813Venturing out into the Northern Plains, Anti-matter Exiles hunt quickly and relentlessly. Though still blind from life in the cave, their trained sense of smell allows it to track prey while their backward ears prepare it for any distractions from the hunt.
>>4526914Drawing upon the stored Gravity Data from the heavenly bodies, Weighted Windmills produce an incredibly heavy Zodiac Ore underneath them. This ore is dense and speckled with celestial data, shining like a constellation.
>>4532527The Unseeliefairytotems hate and twisted Fairy stone are so great in power that they can transform their very hate into clouds of dark digirain utilizing small amounts of Weather data. These horrid storms prevent data from the Moons streaming into the darken area, forcing the plants inside to subsite on the dark data created by the totem. As time goes by data builds up in the stormheads and is eventually unleashed as a fearsome blast of dark lightning.
>>4529824By extruding Gold Digizoid in the form of a liquid the Sala is quickly able to make marks to seal off Virus data.
>>4534053The index organ of the Teleporn Shrooms have been simplified. The index organ is now only capable of finding and transmitting data to the flowers of other Teleporn Shrooms. This is very much need in the Northern Forest do to there being far to many creatures in the Northern Forest that are more then willing to chow down on a large sexual organ.
>>4533971Meshchatons' adult simplifies further as too better fit inside the Holo Plataformas native to the Southern Forest.
>>4526814To better protect their young fromthe various predators that lurk in the Southern Forest while the males are away female Ram Deschatons now come equip with two one-use rockets. These rockets do insignificant amount of damage on their own, due to being nonexplosive, but as a barrage from the whole herd they can deal a surprising amount of damage. When they become pregnant they can no longer support the rockets and they fall off.
>>4525219Thanks to the increase in weather due the competing temperatures of the Cold Spots and Tashvein Colonies, the Weather Moon, and various rain causing plants, the Shield Cannon finally has enough wind to generate energy and take flight. Do to the relatively low winds though the Cannon can merely hover straight up. It uses pulses of electricity to help the process.
>>4529827The Highway Magnets managed to sorta make a closed magnetic field by doing a full loop with it's magnets, it's finicky though.
>>4525218The Hunter Exile develops a small tail. This tail contains a storage of normal non-Vaccine, non-Virus data to prevent it from being contaminated.
>>4528156The Anti Exilos now posses simple toes on their back feet to help with climbing their rope.
>>4528228The Polmes' nubs can now defend themselves with highly acidic bubbles.
>>4525213The Towers lose their useless anchors, they no longer serve a purpose sine it's grounded and it's a waste of data.
>>4525518The Holo Patforma switches over to a moon based imaging software, allowing it simply take in the data streamed in by the Moons by looking at them.
>>4528260The Treasure Vase gains an additional set of jewels to hold even more treasure data and thus draw in more animals.
>>4532446The Northern Forest's Polmes, desperate for fairy data, have taken a more active approach to gathering it - and by that I mean they've now got a huge-ass gun to shoot fairies with, so that they can then consume their corpses.
>>4532331Got a huge schnoz to inhale cave smells with
>>4533719The halo of the Blull leaders extends once more. It now contains a highly packed sphere of pure Vaccine data. This sphere can be launched and controlled remotely, and acts as if it was the halo itself being able to fire light.
>>4533989Without fairy data, the fairy dog had to turn into the weapon dog.
>>4532456Do to the formation of dark digirain a new dark Bendy-sword Trotan has formed in the Wared Spaces, The Dark Bendy-sword Trotan. Equipped with horrible colors, weird hat, and a katana they're ready to stab some goody two-shoes.
As creatures migrate and settle, it seems that certain species have become less prone to reproducing. In their place, their descendants fill the niches they once occupied and...It seems that very few lines died from this mysterious lack of reproduction. Yggdrasil quietly seethes as it seems his plan for the mass extinction of the Digital World is bypassed by a mysterious otherworldly server.Meanwhile, the moon 'War' is cut in twain by the creatures residing in the Ark. Another moon, 'Treasure' slowly fractures as well. The remaining moons recalibrate their natures, desperate to find a solution that will repair the moons that have been destroyed....
>>4539861Effects: Those that use 'War' and 'Treasure' data will find themselves corrupted as long as the moons aren't repaired... No new evolutions may incorporate 'War' and 'Treasure' data...
>>4533962In the magnetic fields, the Salas' wings are turned into huge magnets that meddle with the trajectory in which Sightnights travel, making the clumsy creatures incapable of catching the Salas. In the Northern Forest, feeding on Fairy Pugilists has given Salas enough fairy data to infuse their religious components with magic, turning a part of the ovipositor into a magic-based propulsion device that counteracts gravity.
>>4539835After the fracturing of the 'Treasure' moon, Treasure Vases —Now known as Tresurbase— experienced rapid code degeneration, due to the absorption of corrupted 'Treasure' data. The glitchy strings of code present in their programming caused erratic changes in their composition and structure, which often produced unviable creatures. However, in some specimens, these digital mutations were minimal or even proved to be beneficial to the survival of the species. Among the lucky bunch that survived were the Tresurbases, a digiform that had managed to circumvent further damage to their code via sheer luck and sharp cunning. This corrupted creature evolved a complex method to keep it's glitches at bay. Their juvenile form, short lived and constantly experiencing technicolor visual bugs, devoted most of it's energy towards producing and secreting a virus attracting pheromone. Viral data, microscopic viruses, and bigger viral digiforms would be drawn to it, and infected the Tresurbase with their malicious code.Tresurbases would then selectively incorporate the viral code into their programming, using them to block corrupted code, as well as storing their structural data in a 'stack', meaning that it could be easily .pop'ed out of it's genome when producing seeds.Mature Tresurbases function similarily to their ancestors. They are able to absorb data directly from rain, but will often use their tentacle-like folliage to consume small hervibores by vore-ing them. In this stage, they'll focus on absorbing as much data as possible. Once they're full enough, they'll .pop the viral strings out of their code, and begin producing copious amounts of seeds.Eventually, their glitchy code will corrupt the viral blockers, and the .pop'ed strings will grab the attention of Vaccine-type digiforms, which will lead to the death of the adult, and the spread of it's seeds through the stomachs of the predators. Similarily to how viral code temporalily blocks the glitchy strings by scrambling them in an attempt to infect the Tresurbases, Anti-Viral code was able to quarantine the buggy data for some time. The seeds, protected by their seals, will begin to germinate and absorb data-rain. The warding code will eventually become corrupted, sending a signal for the digiform to digi-evolve into it's juvenile phase.
>>4539848Weapon dogs ditch their gay fairy paint-job for a cooler, weaponier one. They realize legs are gay too, and replace them with cool thrusters.
>>4539864Some Magnetic Salas migrate to the Southern Forest, where they realize Towers (>>4539831) are filled with tasty viral data. They use their magnets to stick themselves into the tower's walls, and eat viruses to their hearts' content. After a few generations, they fully embrace the parasitic lifestyle, replacing their legs with another pair of magnets.
>>4539710Migrating Salas have a grand time eating Exile eggs. In fact, they have it so easy, they decide to live in caves forever. The darkness makes them lose their eyes, but sharpens their other senses
>>4539180The Blackpalms' seed method of spreading is effective but it isn't as effective as it could be do to the seeds often taking root in less than ideal locations. To circumvent this issue the Blackpalms instead grow a baby form called Yuras. Yuras are significantly harder to produce then simple seeds but are capable of simple flight by catching the wind using a coat of white fibers and steering with two simple leaves. They use this flight to find an ideal location to evolve into a Blackpalm.
>>4539769Some dogys climb are bored so they climb the mountains. There, they eat some space poop (>>4539761) and grow a cool hat
>>4539180Meanwhile, other Blackpalms, unwilling to be outcompeted by their cousins (>>4541420) begin hoarding resources. Their fronds grow larger and thicker, and their trunks become bloated with data.
>>4539833Due to the lack of arrays after the odd decline in reproduction the Holo has decided to be it's own array. The Holo has now submitted to Gravity and has rooted itself to the ground, due to it's method of flight being really wasteful and the fact it no longer needs an array. To compensate for the lack of an array the Holo gain the ability to actually use it's leaves to absorb streamed in data. When this wasn't enough it converted projection modules into a massive visual receptor and condense the Moon and sky visual data into a soil to be absorbed by the central body. To reproduce the Holo uses runners, roots that can make clones of the parent.
>>4532366Some Blackblue use the data of the Insect moon to replace their orichalcum with much weaker but non toxic chitin
>>4536934Alabaster Orcs hood-wings have devolved into simple collars. It seems that those who gorge themselves on Orichalcum are getting fat.
>>4539813Highway Magnets experience a simplification of their body that allows them to network together with relatively little errors. They are able to reproduce sooner in their life cycle.Incidentally, Sight Nights can use the paths they form among themselves as highways. It seems that there are rare 'splitter' types which move three ways instead of just two.
>>4539839They lose their eyes in favor of a bigger nose, using the smell data to move around.Due to the lack of things eating and fighting them, they have less armor.
>>4541416Salas have completely lost the top of their heads. Not having a visual cortex has made them dumber, but their other senses are better. It seems that their paws have adapted to the caves' harsh inclines and declines
>>4539750Edenlinks have completely dedicated themselves to the production of food and the storage of nutrients.Alone, they don't really reproduce, however it creeps propagate Edenlink data, building them where food is harder to transport.
>>4539778Atavism once again comes in handy, as the shells of their ancestors are much more resistant to the mountain's conditions than their veils.
>>4541428>>4542232Having eaten the fruits of Teleporn Shrooms, Dogys undergo a transfomation, gaining two data-storing horns instead of ears.
>>4542234Leo-Dogys undergo a mutation that fused their funny hats with their fur. This has caused them to develop a thick coat infused with Zodiac-Data, which protect them from the harsh enviroment and predators.
>>4533831Concrete-Links, while well intentioned, often caused more troubles for the Tashvein colonies than they helped. Their concrete structures proved to be only slightly useful, and a waste of resources. The ones that weren't culled by the colonies repurposed their data-transmutation abilities; instead of producing concrete out of the absorbed waste, they begin converting useless data into nutricious code-goop. They retain some of their infraestructural construction capabiltiies, and use them to build discrete and hard to notice pipes beneath their peers. This way, Gooplinks act both like waste-management plants, recycling cores, and sewage systems in their colonies.
>>4539835Do to the massive decline in viable Treasure data the Treasure Eggs are the result of Vases cutting down more and more on there Treasure data usage, relying on Virus data to compensate. That was until a chance encounter with a falling moon shard saved this soon to be corrupted lineage. The Treasure shard is the center piece of the Egg and generates a stream of data that the Egg greedily consumes and protects. Like their distant cousins the Fairy Totems they too are able to grow brand new shards, unlike the Totems however they have no data but that which is produced by their parents to use to construct their shard. To compensate for this they use their chain to lock up any curious herbivore that comes near. When they eventually consumes the plant's leaves, whether out of temptation or desperation, they are infected by a Transmutation based Virus that slowly yet perfectly converts it's victims into pure Treasure data to be absorbed by the Egg.
>>4539853Fire Bendy-Sword Trotans realize they can withstand the heat of the Tashvein colonies just fine. They migrate there, and begin feeding off the less protected tashlinks there, such as the Eden-Links or the Goop-Links. The Fencetrots use their sharp rapiers to penetrate the armors of their prey.
>>4542234>>4542243So how does this work? They're in the Mountain Biome while Teleporn Shrooms are in the Southern Forest biome. I put them in the chart for now, but consider this a soft reminder to keep biomes in mind when creating food chains.
>>4542294I think these Teleporn Shrooms (>>4542232) migrated to the mountains thanks to their atavism, but they forgot to change the little icon
>>4542266Those went extinct.>>4542291Those too. They were succeeded by Dark Bendy Sword Trotans.
>>4542266Uhh retconning this a bit.>>4539738Redhotgeyser often burn themselves out, due to abusing their overclocking capabilities. Over time, these comatose tashlinks begin piling up, and the Tashvein colonies begin culling them off, due to taking up their resources. The ones that don't burn themselves out, eventually end up overheating and exploding, causing massive damage to their fellow Tashlinks.Facing such strong enviromental pressure, the Redhotgeysers are forced to evolve. Instead of using their flames to heat up their enviroment, they become something akin to a blast furnace. Using both their folliage, and brand new 'sewage' pipes that connect them to their nearby colonial peers, they are able to take in undesirable data and 'smelt' it into raw code. This way, colonies are able to fend off viral infections, or prevent the incorporation of any data-type that may interfere with their proper functioning. Gooplinks become the livers and kidneys of Tashlink colonies, maximizing their energy production via reutilization and detoxifying harmful substances.
>>4539087The Unfairy are corrupted Fairy Hookers who have been permanently changed by the influence of Unseeliefairytotems(>>4539764). They have become much more aggressive and lost the ability to evolve into Fairy Lords and in exchanged gained the secrets of Ice and Frost. They spend most of there time defending their Totems and working to build new ones. If they encounter any digiform, especially a fairy aspected one, in their area they will attempt to swarm them and torture them to death.
>>4532418Some Bloomer Polmes living in the Warded Spaces use Weather to collect water in their leaves, this combined with a weak Insect based tail which they lose as they mature allows their young to walk further than ever
>>4541420There are many things within the Northern Forest that would gladly take an easy meal, even if said meal is something as small as a Yura. Do to this fact many Yuras are eaten in their search for a suitable location to begin their evolution to Blackpalms. This is made even worse by the fact that the Yura's method of flight is incredibly slow and completely incapable of defending itself. To compensate for this weakness the Yura has gained the ability to evolve into an intermediary form if incapable of finding a good spot. This form is in fact the primordial ancestor of all true tree forms, the humble BlackTane. Recreated from remnant code within the Blackpalm, the BlackTane is far more capable than the Yura. While incapable of flight or properly defending itself, do to lacking the it's ancestral mouth, it is far sturdier and faster than many of the weak baby forms that are most likely to prey on it. Like the Yura it's final goal is to evolve into a Blackpalm but it can also focus on other things, such as absorbing data to sustain itself.
>>4539840With Blull alphas doing most of the breeding, the species tends to favor larger, more brutish forms.
>>4539840Some of the Blulls migrate to the Southyern Plains, which was largely converted into Warded Spaces. They prey on Weapon Dogs and the occasional Fairy Skimmer. They eat the latter largely because the fact that they move makes them think the Fairy Skimmers are animals, but eating Fairy Skimmers actually doesn't give them much nutrition because their stomachs aren't specced for eating plants...
>>4542289Treasure Flowers have migrated into the Southern Plains and start to infringe on the Warded Spaces that the Fairy Skimmers maintain. The wide, petal like structures allow them to glut on Treasure Flowers to be infected with Treasure data.
>>4541378Because of the lack of Weapons data in the local plants and animals in their habitat, Weapon Dogs are forced to laboriously convert the data they eat into compatible Weapon data. However, since the process is inefficient, Weapon Dogs are forced to greatly simplify their bodies. On top of that, they sleep most of the time they aren't eating or reproducing, which leaves them vulnerable to Blulls that hunt in the Southern Plains. It seems that some will occasionally get lost in the mountains, but they die off quickly due to the lack of food there...
>>4539742Braincreeps are special Braincreep units. They typically grow on the lower parts of the mountain, and occasionally on the Southern Plains and very rarely, in Warded Spaces. They attach to Red Creep colonies and store reproductive data on all the various Red Creep types that transmit their reproduction codes on the Red Creep.Destruction of Brain Creeps tend to lead to rapid mutations in their connected Red Creep colony as the colony no longer has the ability to store their reproductive code.
>>4542525Unfairy become even more aggressive AGAIN. They use their ice powers to create claws that they use to viciously attack any Digiforms they come across.
>>4539585Their back arms become more flexible, with more joints making them resemble something like a human's spine but bendier. Males will typically spar using their ice jacks, with the winner getting the privilege of mating with females. When the Ice Jack of an Icehack breaks, they become ostracized, being denied food and mates. They typically eat Red Creeps, having to venture in their hot territories to do so. They become a bit better at managing their body temperature as they go from the extremely cold Icehack territories to the fairly warm Red Creeper territories.
>>4542643Some Yuras retain the hairy growths throughout their stages. This makes them unpleasant to herbivores, allowing them to flourish from the northern forest to the northern plains.
>>4541993All of the Orichalcum has been replaced by chitin. It seems that the weapons data was also replaced by Insect data resulting in odd insect-like arms growing all around the midpoint of the Insectplant.Because of all the insect data, they reproduce rather quickly, but also die rather quickly.
>>4539864Fairy Salas no longer have legs because they take up calories to just exist when they move perfectly fine with their magic propulsion device. They get better ears to hear the baby fairy pugilists with then eat them with their exaggeratedly large sharp fangs.
>>4539326The Sightnight's remaining claw has been replaced with another magnetic device. Now with two magnetic devices, it can use them in conjunction with >>4542216 's magnetic fields to launch themselves far into Icehack territory in order to gobble them up.Because they have to painstakingly crawl with their two arms after launching themselves into Icehack territory, they tend to go for the exiles with broken Ice Jacks...
>>4539815Over the generations, the amount of Data-type energy contained by Hunter-exiles increase. This eventually causes them to have greatly reduced Vaccine and Virus properties. However, it seems that the Data type energy is rather weak and it is common to find Data Exiles that have tarnished or totally rusted over... Unfortunately for them, the rusty exiles don't quite die until they die of starvation so they get stuck as statues for however long that takes...
>>4539799Because their bones are too fragile for their large frame, the males develop smaller heads so they don't snap their necks after getting too big. They look intimidating, but they're actually fairly docile compared to the females and will tend to break bones if they fall from too high a place.
>>4543580The Fuckers have accidentally inhaled meme gas, causing them to evolve a third appendage. This turns out to be a boon in disguise, as their previous two were no longer well-suited to combat, thus their new, sharpened limb came in extremely handy.
>>4542643Some Blacktanes go their whole lives without rooting themselves in the ground. They find that it's safer to constantly remain mobile. As such, they continue to develop while in their intermediary form. These roving creatures are known as BlackLals
>>4544651Turns out having a mobile lifestyle requires lots of energy, so to sustain themselves the BlackLals have converted their roots into a sort of "pincer", capable of grabbing tightly onto a creature and sucking out it's juices.Because the BlackLal's pincer is rather weak and it cannot move while it's latched on, it tends to feed on other plants.
>>4533811>>4539821Anti Exilos form a symbiotic relationship with the creep. They take on the Eusocial traits of insects from constant consumption of the creep, further exemplified by their existing habit of staying in swarms.Exilos stop overzealous herbivores from consuming the creep directly, making sure they can constantly obtain data from the creep underneath.
>>4542219hearing opens a new dimension of senses being able to sense what has no scent what the nose can never know
>>4544663its easier to avoid predators when you have eyes on the backside of your head but whats better is when you have eyes all around your head AND SO CAN YOU WITH SOME EASY CHEAP INVESTMENTS INTO BUG DATA
>>4547082Jawlals gain stronger jaws from absorbing data from Insect moon. This allows them to bite and absorb data from animals... however because they're plants at their core, getting sustenance from animals isn't as efficient as absorbing data from the moons.
>>4543608Further meme gas exposure causes the number of appendages to double in number. Incidentally, these Magnights are better at crawling in the absence of Magnetic Fields, allowing them to expand into the Creeps to hunt Exilos and into the Cold Spots to hunt Hacknots.
>>4542350Redhotgeysers lose the ability to generate their own food and gain the ability to ambulate. They walk slowly across the red creeps, eating corpses and diseased Red Creep parts, which they then forge and shit out as food for healthy Red Creeps.
>>4544670Anti Exilos diverge into the aggressive Antaggressivos and the docile Antiweavers.Antaggressivos are located on the edge of the Red Creep colonies and dine mostly on the predators that would eat their more docile counterparts. To this end, they develop sharp edged scythes on their backs and sharp horns on their heads. On the other hand, generations of only weaving and barely any combat have left the Antiweavers more or less defenseless. They rely on Antaggressivos for protection while Antiweavers only barely eat Red Creeps and weave intricate constructions out of their rope.
>>4539461Chargelasers (left) gain additional crystals, which they can additionally charge up for more powerful beams. When fully charged, they glow brightly to the point that just seeing them can cause a sighted creature to go blind.Shotlasers on the other hand, greatly lessen their maximum firepower. In exchange, they can fire multiple weak beams in rapid succession, at least until their charge runs out. It seems like this adaptation has allowed them to proliferate in the Northern and Southern plains.
>>4550346Forgegeysers copy the War moon fragments on the ground, using the corpses it consumes to produce new pieces of Weapon Data.
>>4539853Now that all the other Bendy-sword Trotans are dead the Dark Bendy-sword Trotans are free to become even edger. The Dark Trotan now comes with significantly better fashion to better show off how awesome they are. Their Dark elemental abilities how increased to the point where they are actually good for hurting digiforms and not just looking cool. The Dark Trotan has also gained a revolutionary new advancement for trotankind, feet! While nothing compared to full legs these feet still let Dark Trotans walk at a good speed compared to their awkward hopping.
>>4539756>>4539764The Reclaimed Totem is a Totem that has been reintegrated back into the Tashlink network. It has been broken, remade, and rolled back to earlier versions so many times to cleanse it of the fallen Moons influence that the spellwork contained within is highly corrupted, with only the fire based spells surviving unscathed. To stabilize it code from an Obelisk has been integrated, but do to the large difference between their versions only time will tell how it's code will hold up. The purpose of these reintegrated Totems is simple, to contain and exploit Moon shards. While Tashlinks are for the most part unintelligent plants, they are able to recognize that the moons are the only source of data in the Ark. While capable of using any type of shard the Totem is still only capable of producing Fairy ones, though it would prefer not to make any shards sometimes desperate measures are needed
>>4551649Forgegeysers have improved their ability to produce War data by utilizing War fragments. Besides just providing a direct stream of data to the forge it also enhances it's ability to create new War data from other data forms. It's capable of doing this by utilizing the stable code from Reclaimed Totems. Due to fractured nature of the stable code as well as the unadapted form of the forge it is almost incapable of producing new shards and what few it can make tend to be corrupted. Besides the major change of the fragment storage the Forgegeyser has gained storage for data and has specialized it's overclocking for data conversion. The purpose of the War data it collects is to be used as a replacement for Treasure data, unfortunately it makes for a poor substitute.
As this thread comes to a close, I ask you, dear players, to vote for your favorite creatures that will survive this level of the Ark.Each ID will be given 3 votes and at least 1 of those votes must be used for a plant. Please use these phylogeny charts as reference.https://imgur.com/a/giBT4m2
>>4550331>>4543552>>4550336My votes go to these three creatures
>>4553730The only thing you voted for that is still alive is the Bowplam.
>>4525519>>4525208On the safer stretches of layer 1 some trolltans' defense mechanism begin to lose their purpose.A strain that is distinctly separate from the main branch and exists parralell to it stops ever closing their portal, leaving a permanent connecion between space and subspace. Its luring mechanism also becomes more lazy, relying on errant Deschatons to simply fall in. However, it is ready to inject it spores at any time, being fertille all year round.Unwelcome intruders in the hole are directed into the empty void of subspace by a smooth repellant skin, where they become other digiforms' problems.
