/qst/ - Quests

Were you to travel the stars, across this vast universe, no doubt tales of a mighty warrior race would reach your ears. Many speak of the Saiyans with awe and wonder, marveling at their power and aspiring to become like them. Others speak in hushed tones, of the fear and despair in facing the warrior race in battle. But one thing all agree on, is that standing against the might of the Saiyan race would spells certain doom. Many have tried, several going as far as to invade the Saiyan’s homeworld of New Salda. Yet every invasion has failed, defeated by the Saiyans and their most powerful warriors: the golden-haired Super Saiyans, and the green-haired legend who leads them. But once more they march, leaving their home behind and advancing into the heart of their enemy’s territory. Which side will triumph, and who will perish?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball world. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the radiant symbol of Saiyan might. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 34 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become one of the strongest beings in the entire universe.

Current Arc: The Great War
>>
>>4533959
Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After sparring with Meloka and deciding how to attack the next system, Karn once more went into the healing pod to fix the damage he’d sustained training. And while in the pod, Karn had a vision of the future where several individuals with black dragon’s tattooed on them held Meloka hostage for the Covenant’s worms. After waking, and speaking with the ancient spectre of Bane about this, Karn went back to his room where Aku suddenly returned. After explaining what had happened to himself, Aku revealed the Bloodstone had changed into a Soulstone, and bound itself to him. Then later, after the battles for the Sylvaas system began, Karn received a call for help. Teleporting to Acaagus, Karn’s Barrier technique was exactly the skill needed to defeat the Covenant’s overwhelming anti-air capabilities. And as we rejoin Karn, the tide of battle is turning.

GWWRRROOOOOAAAAAAAR!!” dozens of other Oozaru bellow in response to Nappa’s Golden Oozaru battle roar, the three non-Oozaru Saiyans still in the Barrier with you cheering as well. Now that you’ve got the weak point covered, it’s time to watch your fellow Saiyans go to war! Well, war isn’t exactly the right word for it. More like a slaughter.
“BAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” Nappa fires a beam from his mouth, slicing through hundreds of the thousands of enemy fighters in the air. With the newly-awakened threat the enemy forces rally towards you, and more specifically your Barrier. They know that if those Power Balls stay up, they simply cannot win.

“General, behind us!” one of the pther Saiyans shout, you glancing behind your shoulder to see more fighters approaching. And with your Barrier up, you or your allies cannot fire ki attacks out through the shield. The only way to attack them currently would be in the exact moment they fly through your Barrier, and hope they don’t fire before you can.

What do you do?
>Expand your Barrier outwards, giving you a bit more room and time to work with but also a greater surface for their ships to slip through
>Tell them to hold on to you and keep their orbs close, use your lspeed to keep the enemy from ramming into and destroying the Power Balls
>Shrink your Barrier to just around the Power Balls themselves, leaving you and the other Saiyans to fend the ships off without that protection

I’ll expand the Barrier, the moment I do shoot them down! Got it?” you call, gathering more of your energy into your right hand as even more approach from your front. You’re gonna have to time this just right, and hope your allies can keep up. “Ready?”
“SIR!” they all shout, you feeling a slight increase in their powerlevels as they focus.
“Alright, on three! One, two-!” you say, Scattershot readied in your right hand. If this works, it won’t matter how many are approaching you from the front. “THREE!!”

And as you shout you put more energy into the Barrier, doubling it’s size almost instantly as you toss your Scattershot forward. Dozens of emerald blasts fly from your hands, turning that arc before you into a field of explosions. And despite their energy shielding, none of the Covenant fighters can withstand the barrage. Near-simultaneously they all explode, you wiping out nearly a score of them in a single attack. Glancing over your shoulder you see several explosions going off behind you, the trio doing their part. But it’s clear they still aren’t that used to fighting multiple enemies approaching from several directions, as within a few seconds one breaks through from above. With only a second to react you squint, unleashing your Guided Eye Beams and turning them right at the attacking ship. Before ypur beams can reach it tries to fire one of it’s energy bombs, but your beams pierce through the blast and destroy it before it could get close enough to the Power Balls. They then continue through the fighter and pilot, killing it and detonating the small ship.

And so the battle goes for the next few minutes, the four of you destroying fighter ships by the score until their suicidal attacking rushes finally stop. When the enemies quit rushing you pause a moment to see why, and realize it’s obvious. All around you, where before there was a sprawling enemy fortress is now nothing more than smoking craters, brutalized corpses, and wrecked machinery. Oh, and Oozaru. Lots of Oozaru.

“GWWWWRROOOOOAAAAAARR!!!” Golden Oozaru King Vegeta bellows from atop a building’s ruins, pounding his chest as hundreds of Oozaru answer him. And then, he begins speaking. Or rather, roaring to his people. “This world is ours! No one can stop us!!”

“RRRROOOOOAAAAAARRR!!” Hundreds of Oozaru bellow in response, your Barrier straining under the sudden surge of pressure. And as the cry begins to die down you let go of the Barrier, sighing out as the mental strain from holding it up so long eases away.
“General, are you okay?” one of the three Saiyans shout as they rush over to you, trying to catch you should you fall. But you shake your head, catching yourself and turning to the three of them.
“I’m fine.” you say, actually taking the three of them in since you arrived. The tallest of the bunch, a large, well-muscled figure’s entire upper body seems to be covered in some nasty burns, but despite the agony seems fine. The other two, a boy and a girl who’re so alike they remind you of Tatsu and Tomi both have their fair share of burns too, but both are ib far better shape than the larger one. “What about you three?”

“It’ll take more than a few direct hits to stop me!” the large one says boastfully, yet you can easily tell, thanks to extensive personal experience in the matter, that despite his bravado he’s on his last legs. A stiff enough breeze will knock him out at this point.
“I think I can continue.” says the smaller man, who actually has the highest energy among the three of them. And looking closer, aeems to be in the best shape damage-wise.
“Me too.” his twin says, and despite the left side of her head being burned pretty seems still ready to fight if needed. But is it needed anymore? This battle seems to be finished. But is it? If there are any hidden attackers are left, now would be the ideal time to strike

But what do you do?

“Let’s see if there’s anyone left first.” you say, closing your eyes and focusing on expanding your ki senses out. Of course Nappa’s and Vegeta’s energies are most prominent, being the other strongest fighters on the planet in their Golden Oozaru forms. Their massive powerlevels act like shields, blocking you at first from sensing anyone else’s power. But as you block their gigantic powers off your senses, you are more easily able to feel the mass of other powerlevels around you. Hundreds of the other Oozaru surrounding the four of you are what you can sense next, or more accurately are currently assaulting your senses.

With everyone here in their Oozaru or Golden Oozaru forms, and their powers multiplied tenfold, the sheer power of the gathered transformed Saiyans radiates like a beacon against your senses. Yet despite this, you can still sense the comparatively small five, maybe six digit powerlevels of the three Saiyans all flying next to you. But with them, for an instant you sense something else. You barely feel anything, but you know one thing’s certain: the four of you aren’t alone.

“Behi-!” you shout, when suddenly through each of the twins’ chest sprout more than a foot of Covenant Energy Blade. “You bastard!”
“Wha-NOOOOOO!!” the larger man shouts, pulling back his right fist. But before he can swing, his arm is sliced apart at the right elbow. “GAAAAAH!!”
“HRRRAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, unleashing your Berserker form’s full power. You feel something behind you smashing into your swelling energy, your power blasting it back. “You bastards are gonna pay!!”

And as your shout still hangs in the air you unleash your power while the large man’s still screaming. Firing a pair of piercing beams straight from your eyes at the one Sangheili who’d stabbed both twins from behind, it drops both blades and tries to leap away. Both shots catch the Sangheili in the upper torso and left arm, but neither beam hit a critical location. So as your beams pierce through it’s body you redirect them towards the one that disarmed your ally, adding another pair of holes to the first. This time your beams hit true, both through the first’s head then into the second’s chest.

“DIE!!” another one shouts from behind you, it’s energy rapidly closing in. So again you redirect your twin energy beams, both piercing center mass of the energy behind your back. In less than two seconds, you took down all three would-be assassins. But because of the injuries the Saiyans sustained, all three Power Balls rapidly fading as their creators do.

“Dammit.” you snarl under your breath, catching both the twins before they can fall. “Dammit dammit!”
“K-Karn...” one of them, the girl struggles to get out. “I-I’m so....ry.”
“Shhh, save your strength. I’m gonna save you.” you say, rapidly dropping down to the ground. Maybe if you can get them into their pods, then maybe, just maybe...
“It was...an honor to.” the boy says, interrupted by him violently coughing up his blood onto you. “Fight. With.... Yo....”

And then, within a second or two, you feel both of their fading ki fully vanish. They’re both gone, just like that. You’d never even learned their names.

“FUCK!! Are they...?” the man asks from behind you, you glancing over your right shoulder to him. And despite all the agony he’s clearly in, his first concern is his friends’ safety. And seeing the look of worry on his face, combined with the shape he’s currently in, you aren’t sure he’d survive the news.

Well? What do you do, general?

I think while he might take the sight of his dead friends badly, he will make it. I mean it's very sad what happened, but he will be able to see them now.

Karn can pour some of his Ki energy into him. Karn did this many times to save injured who were threatened by death. It seemed to have stabilizing effect, and allowed them to survive long enough to get properly healed.

Sadly the twins died so quickly Karn could not even try this.
It would be nice if we could learn the names of those three Saiyans.

You say nothing, going down on a knee and gingerly laying both of them on the ground. You then stand up, and take a few steps back away from the deceased pair. Wordlessly the bigger man stumbles over to them, dropping to his knees. He reaches out with his right stump first, as if reflex, then seeing his missing arm next to his dead friends breaks down. The man before you just crumbles before your eyes, loud, ugly sobs echoing across the war-torn landscape. His desperate cries and sobs of agony hit you right in the gut, you feeling yourself nearly about to cry too. But then you feel it.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=qvtowY2d0MY

“What?” you mutter, feeling the man’s power beginning to spike as the ground beneath you trembles. Lightning flashes in the darkening sky, once, twice, three times, nearly striking the man as he begins trembling. Whether from outrage, pain, or just sheer anger you’re not sure, but as you watch his hair begins flickering back and forth from black to golden and back again as he slams his left fist repeatedly into the ground.
“Dammit! Dammit dammit DAAAAAAAAAMMIIIIIIT!!!” he cries in one final, soul-tearing scream. His hair shifts fully to the familiar golden of Super Saiyan, his aura blazing up as lightning begins crackling around his frame. And right before you eyes, another Super Saiyan is born. You watch as the newest Super Saiyan gingerly rises back to his feet, stumbling a bit as he turns around towards you. He tries to say something, but as he opens his mouth, his eyes roll up into the back of his head. His aura disappears almost instantly, the injured man falling forward.

“I gotcha.” you say, closing the distance instantly and catching the man before he hits the ground. You feel his energy has already started leaking, so with a hint of desperation place your right hand on his back, and begin pouring your own energy into him. You feel the man’s energy begin to stabilize, but this can’t last. With the injuries he’s already sustained, added on top of all the blood he’s lost from the missing limb, he can’t have much time left. And unlike his friends, you will save him!

Good point, our IT choices were limited when reaching the planet iirc. If we can even lock onto a decent target from here, the focus it would take might leave us vulnerable, and if we send the pod on it's own we leave it wide open for every covenant scrub that would love to intercept and kill a new super saiyan.

“Dammit! I’m not letting you die too!” you snarl, clutching him tight with your left as you bring your right hand to your forehead. Reaching out telepathically, you link your mind to the one man who can save this man. “Dr. White! We have an emergency! Ready a healing pod, right now!”
“Karn? What’s wrong?” he asks you, but you aren’t listening. Instead you’re focusing on his unique energy, and while there isn’t a lot of it, it seems almost like it’s on a different frequency than most others’ energy you’ve connected to. And after another moment’s focus, you do it. Focusing on Dr. White, with your desperation fueling you, your Instant Transmission is a success! One moment you’re holding him in the middle of a battlefield, and the next you and the maimed Saiyan warrior are standing inside Dr. White’s sanitized office space. “Karn? Hurry, over here.”

Always the professional, Dr. White directs you and your unconscious ally towards the nearest open pod, you gingerly setting him inside. The good doctor quickly hooks him up, then rushes to his desk and begins sealing the pod up. It closes with a hiss, then swiftly begins filling with the healing fluid. His fingers fly over the keys, not looking up as he asks you the question.

“What happened down there?” he asks, you again feeling that punch to the gut as you recall his heart-wrenching cries. And you feel your own fists clenching, trembling with helpless rage.
“It’s my fault.” you say, voice nearly breaking. You take a second to recover, taking a deep, shaky breath before continuing. “That wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t with me. Him, or his team. He-He’s the only one left. The others died, they killed right in front of me. By those damn splitjaws!”

As you shout, aura flaring angrily around you, you realize you’d been shouting. And even worse, close to losing your grip over your Berserker power. Cutting loose here wouldn’t help so you seethe a long breath out, reverting back to your base form.

“Sorry.” you apologize, clutching your head in your hands as the scene you’d just witnessed plays out over and over, different ways you could have acted and saved them all flashing before your eyes. “I should have saved them. They were right there. If I’d been faster, or-“

And, to your surprise, Dr. White interrupts your rambling by smashing one of the overhead robotic surgery-assising arms down atop your head.

“Gaah? What the hell?!” you shout at him, confused as you grab at where the metal limb hit you.
“Enough of this.” he says, leaving his desk and walking over to you. He has a hard look in his eyes, almost like he’s staring through you and straight into your soul as he grabs both your shoulders, even though he has to stretch a bit to do so. “I know you. You did not let those soldiers die. They may have passed on, but know this: they would have given their lives just for a chance to fight by your side.”
“Wh-What?” you ask him, shocked to hear that. “What do you mean?”
“You may not have known this, but the soldiers love you.” he says, speaking firmly to you. “Not like you love your wife, or your kids, but love all the same. They idolize you. You are Saiyan, the peak of everything they aspire to be. If they knew that their deaths would mean you’d be alive and standing here, every single soldier would take that deal.”

“What the hell?” you say, not asking him but just overwhelmed. You can’t stay standing, dropping to the ground and shaking your head. “How? I’m not the strongest, like Lord Freeza, or their beloved king like Vegeta. Why? Why would they?”
“Because of what you are.” he says, grunting uncomfortably as he takes a knee beside you, laying his right hand across your back. “You are hope. No matter how bad things seem, you’re always there to save the day. Even a demon lord, leading an army straight out of the depths of Hell that defeated Freeza, Vegeta, Ubo, your wife, hell even King Cold himself alone fell to you. You are more than a general, Karn: you are their hero. Their savior, who will lead them to victory. And if giving up their life can keep someone like you alive, well, now that’s not a hard trade for most people to make.”

“How?” you ask him, just feeling overwhelmed. “How would you know this?”
“When you’re in your pod there, others come in with injuries.” he says, using your shoulder to help push himself back up to his feet. “And people talk. Seeing their hero, battered and bloody to protect them, they share their true feelings. Feelings many wouldn’t feel free to say to your face. Many understand the burden you carry, and want to help you share the load. But they aren’t fools, and most know they’d only be in the way when you’re fighting. But they dream. They aspire to fight at your side, to carry the hopes and dreams of the Saiyan people on their backs as you do every day. So don’t you dare disrespect their memory, saying it’s your fault they died. They were heroes, who’s sacrifices will not be forgotten.”

“WAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you hear Karn Jr’s scream from here, feeling the sudden dramatic spike in his powerlevel as someone else screams in pain.
“Now, I think you should go. Your son needs you.” Dr. White says, his tone softening. “You are a good man, Karn. Don’t let the enemy take that from you.”
“I won’t.” you say, pushing yourself back to your feet. “Thank you. For everything.”

You turn towards the door, walking out of the medbat and into the common area to witness a bizarre sight. Karn Jr, the golden mane of Super Saiyan Three framing his entire body, is standing atop the back of the couch where you’d left him earlier. but what’s concerning is poor Orlen, the man’s clearly-broken leg held in your young son’s small fist as he flails his arms angrily. What the hell happeneded here?

And how the hell do you handle this?
>Dash in, pry poor Orlen’s leg free before Karn Jr can do any more damage to him
>Call out to your son, focus his attention on you before you tru and free your friend
>Telepathically reach out to your son, see if you can get him to let go without throwing the poor man

“Dammit.” you say, dashing forward and grabbing both Orlen’s let and your son’s hand. “Alright kiddo, you gotta let go.”
“Waaaaa-aaaaaahhh?” Karn Jr vocalizes, eyes widening in surprise as he sees you. But his grip also loosens, you taking advantage of that instant and pull poor Orlen’s leg free.
“Fuck! Fuckfuckfuckfuckfu-!!” he’s still shouting for several seconds after you pull him free, then when he feels Karn Jr’s not longer got him in his grasp opens his eyes warily. “Wha-Karn?! When did you-?”
“Looks like I got back just in time.” you say, your youngest son’s furious power evaporating as you pick him up and hold him to your right shoulder. “Need a hand?”

“No, but thanks.” Orlen says, reaching up and clasping your left hand with his own. You haul him back upright, your former pilot carefully keeping his broken, limply-hanging foot off the ground. “I’mma go see Doc now.”
“Sorry about him.” you say, referencing you now-peaceful son. “Get yourself taken care of, that looks painful.”
“Yeah. It is.” he says through gritted teeth, slowly floating over towards Dr. White’s door. “Thanks for the help.”
“Thanks for watching him.” you reply, Orlen going through the door and it shutting behind him. You look down at your son, who’s smiling innocently like he didn’t just maim your friend. Which really drives home the point, you can’t leave your son with the old crew. As much as you like these guys, they aren’t physically capable of restraining him if he starts getting rowdy. He could have killed them, completely by accident and they wouldn’t have been able to stop him. You’re gonna have to figure something else out going forward.

“Is it over?” the familiar voice of Alice calls from the attached kitchen, you turning and seeing several familiar faces. Alice and a few of the other cooks are all peering around the corner cautiously, acting curiously terrified. But when they see you have your son, they all breathe a collective sigh of relief. “Oh thank the Kais you’re back. Your little boy’s been raging for the past few minutes, I thought poor Orlen was gonna die.”
“Nah, he’s tougher than that.” you say casually, trying to ease the tension out of them. “Orlen’s been rocked by bigger threats than my boy is right now, and he’s still standing.”
“If you say so.” the darker skinned, silver-haired boy says as they all start getting back to work. “We’ll have lunch ready in an hour or so, if you’re hungry.”
“Of course.” you reply, thinking to yourself. You have an hour to just be. No immediate problems or enemies present, which makes you wonder: what are you going to do with a whole hour to yourself?

And that’s it for tonight, everyone enjoying this episode so far? I wanted to get a little further, but at this point I’ll probably be asleep before typing out another full-length post, much less two. Ready to see what happens next, and what other troubles await you? Curious what planets you’ll venture to, and what other tricks the Covenant have up their sleeves? All this and more, when Saiyan Conqueror Quest resumes in 12 hours from now
>>
>>4535212
Thanks for the run GD
Though I do have one question, are we really not needed still on the battlefield? Even if we cleared the immediate base and landing our leaving was rather sudden and I was under the assumption the squad we were with were responsible for protecting abd maintaining the power balls, weren't they?
>>
>>4535243
Once the others went Oozaru, the Covenant defenses fell pretty quickly. The battle was over
>>
>>4535212
>And that’s it for tonight, everyone enjoying this episode so far?
Yes

>>4535243
>Though I do have one question, are we really not needed still on the battlefield?
The big battle seemed to be over at the moment. Without the squad there, the power balls will disappear and they all revert, but that is not a problem. Just pick another 2-4 Saiyans who will make new ones if needed.

Though while it appears that the main fight is finished, there may still be trouble there. Same we just witnessed.
>Hidden sneaky splitjaw assassins may wait for moments when our forces relax and let their guard down.
>Only to be surprised by being stabbed in the back with an energy blade.
Maybe Karn with his good Ki sense could find the still alive remains of enemy forces.

>>4535202
> which makes you wonder: what are you going to do with a whole hour to yourself?
Not an easy choice.
If we want to keep searching for those assassins that may be there, we need to get back on the battlefield with Karn Jr.

Though honestly given this situation as a whole maybe it would be nice to get some lesson from Darth Bane on topic of sensing living beings through the Force.
>Then again with Karn Jr on our shoulder we probably won't be able to focus much on learning.

Though choices, right now we probably can't leave Karn Jr alone.
>>
>>4535601
Does it even need to be a saiyan that makes a powerball? Couldn't anyone with good enough ki control do it?
>>
>>4535602
Probably anybody with good Ki control skills could make it. I remember that Ctarl-Ctarl really wanted to learn the power ball technique.
>>
>>4535601
Good. There may be more of them skulking about, but the battle is over.
>>4535602
No. The Ctarl-Ctarl have been taught to make them as well.
>>4535605
Yes. But those with evolved connections to their moons have an easier time learning it, as they can feel the required wavelengths.

With a whole hour, you’re not quite sure what to do with yourself when suddenly a familiar mind links itself to yours.

“Karn, you gotta get your ass over here and see this!” Arctus thinks to you. “We got a problem! A big one!”
“I’m there.” you reply, focusing on Arctus’s ki as you swich your son to your left arm then bring your right hand up. Placing the first two fingers of that hand on your forehead you focus on Arctus’s ki, and use Instant Transmission to teleport right to his side. “What’s the problem?”
“Look at it!” he shouts, pointing at his screen. And to your surprise, you see a massive, fiery demon. “That’s one big fuckin’ monster!”

“What is that?” you ask, then realize a fre more pertinent question. “Wait, this is live? Who’s feed?”
“It’s Meloka’s!” he says, his usual drunken, slurry facade absent. “This is her scouter’s live feed, right now from Planet Zeroyvik!”
“Of course those bastards work with demons.” you say angrily, watching your wife casually defeat the demon’s opening attack. But she doesn’t just sit on the defensive, spinning and slicing her way up the demon’s arm just to toss her blades right into the giant’s eyes before creating her massive, colossus-slaying ki blade. “Well, it’s over now.”

“Over? What do you mean ov-?” Arctus asks, just as Meloka proves your point. The giant blade cuts deep, but after breaking her blade the demon makes one more mistake, and left the shattered half in it’s neck instead of removing it. Which turned out to be a lethal mistake, your wife detonating all that energy. It didn’t just damage it, her attack completely decapitated the demon! “Oh... Well, that was quick.”
“Told you.” you tell him, feeling more than a little bit smug. “Meloka doesn’t hold back.”
“AaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAH!!” Karn Jr says, waving his arms around excitedly. “Mmmmaaaaaaaaa!”
“Haha, you said it kiddo.” you say, ruffling his golden hair with your free hand. “Your momma’s the best.”
“Speaking of which, there’s been something I’ve been meaning to ask you.” Arctus says, in a much more serious tone. Then he surprises you more, switching from direct speech to telepathy. And as he asks you the question, your eyes widen in surprise.

But what, or who, did he ask you about?
>An old, blue demon who has visited him in his dreams
>Towa reaching out to him, and checking in on you specifically
>Karn Jr somehow being born already a Super Saiyan
>Visions he’s been having, of Meloka being captured and held helpless
>The Dark presence he has sensed in you from time to time

In specific where demons fit in the lore is intrinsically connected to the gods both in dragon ball and in Dark Souls
>In DB Demons seem to share the same race with the kais the very founders of the demon realm being disgraced kais
>In DS demons were made by the attempt to create a Second Flame by the Witch of Izalith it backfired creating the bed of chaos and turning the place into a magma hellscape
>Pyromancy is strongly connected to souls but it also can result into demons and even be used as energy
>you know what is demonic, based into souls and also be used as powerfull energy source?
>Argent energy from DOOM
>Argent energy is pretty attractive even to so called angels and gods
My theory is that The witch of izalith by accident created DOOM hell with the dark being used as a way proliferate between realms and considering their cycles with the GoDs, yemma's power up fruit and the kai's fruit of the tree of might who curiously are supposed to be in a realm were souls are lobotomized unless you are considered evil (ie free target) or useful pawns I suspect the otherworld is just were they store souls to be haversted all kais to some extent eat argent energy with the Demon gods being the ones who went nuts from soul kool aid and wanted everything to be harvested instead of waiting then to be 'ripe' like the normal kais do, this would even explain why the time bitch lets so many die because if they didn't they would starve and risk another Age Of The Dark and the Light of the current Gods (and how kais grows from FRUITS IN THE OTHERWORLD) their God Ki is Argent Energy Refined and incorporated into their being that is why demons can simply achieve god forms by being powerful enough and why saiyans gain god forms is something spiritual, Argent Energy is the closest thing to The First Flame that made the Gods of Dark Souls.
Well this is it for now I gotta go now hope I Didn't overreach either this quest has be an doozy and trying to figure out where everything fits is very fun.

“Your son, he’s really a Super Saiyan, right?” he asks you. “This isn’t some sort of ruse, right?”
“Of course he is.” you reply, confused. “The hell are you talking about? Why would we try and fake him being who he is?”
“I thought as much.” he replies, this time aloud instead of telepathically. “Have you really thought through all the implications of this?”
“What do you mean?” you ask him. “Arctus, what’s wrong?
“Have you considered your son’s future?” he asks seriously, not answering you. “And how mant beings out there will want to steal him away from you, and turn your son into a weapon?”
“Did you...?” you start, then switch to telepathy. “Did you talk to Fu too?”
“Who?” he asks aloud, that one question making it clear he hasn’t spoken with the demon about this at least. “You’ve made a lot of enemies, Karn. And not all of them are from our timeline. Especially now that-“

“Yeah, I’m still working that one out.” you say, cutting him off. As far as your enemies know, your Towa and Future Chaya are still able to help you and aren’t being essentially held captice by the Supreme Kai of Time should enemy time travelers arrive. And you don’t want them to know that right now, you’re essentially on your own. Fu hasn’t ever really helped you, and you still aren’t entirely sure about Mechikabura. Although, anyone who the time Kai hates can’t be all bad, right?
“But that’s not the biggest problem.” he continues. “Ever since she went down there, I wanted to ask you about him. As strong as your kid is, he’s still an infant. And someone will have to watch him while the two of you go off to war.”

“Yeah, we ran into that problem today.” you say, quickly telling him what happened to poor Orlen when you got back.
“If you don’t mind, I could watch the little rugrat.” Arctus says, actually catching you by surprise. “I’m durable enough he won’t hurt me, and I can keep him busy.”
“You’d really do that?” you ask him. “Even if it paints a giant target on your back?”
“As the only one aboard who can fix this ship, I already have one target.” he replies. “One more doesn’t make much of a difference. So, what do you say?”

Well?

“Really? You’d do that for us?” you ask him.
“Of course.” he replies confidently. With everything happening right now, it’s the least I can do for you.”
“I really appreciate it.” you say, meeting his gaze. “This means a lot to us. I know Meloka will be more relaxed going forward knowing you’re watching out for him.”
“Of course.” he says then starts suddenly as if remembering something. “Oh! Hey, before you go. I want you to take a look at something, and tell me what you think.”

“Yeah, sure.” you answer, watching as he types away at his sprawling keyboard. The screen changes, lines of script appearing as he accesses something else. You’re curious about what it could be, and soon enough you’re greeted to the sight of an unfamiliar world. You recognize the Dreadzone logo on the mechanical sentries posted about a fortress, presumably seeing things from security cameras. “Ok, where are we looking at?”
“This is the Hive homeworld.” Arctus says, shocking you. How did he get thi-Right, Vox. “And this is how Vox’s defenses usually handle enemy attacks.”

He speeds up the footage until the sky darkens, and you witness the Hive’s assault. Thousands of those monstrous creatures try and attack, and the mechanical soldiers of Vox’s army and the mounted weapons fire upon them. And of the thousands of approaching creatures, not a one actuallt reaches the defenders.

“Not bad.” you say once it’s over. You think you know where this is going, but don’t offer what Broly and Chilli’d told you before. “So what’s the problem?”
“This.” he says, changing the video. It’s from the same place as before, but clearly after a lot of time has passed. The plains the Hive creatures had run over before are covered in craters, scorch marks, and bits and pieces of Hivelings are scattered about. But as the day turns to dark, another army approaches. But this group isn’t rushing mindlessly into death. In fact, the Dreadzone soldiers stand down, letting the Hive creatures into the perimeter without resistance.

“What the hell?!” you shout, furiously. “How the fuck did that fishy bastard allow this to happen?!”
“Vox was still on the planet when this went down.” Arctus says, shaking his head. “It isn’t as flashy as the cam feeds, but when the alarms went off he locked down his own chambers. If he were trying something like this for the ratings, he wouldn’t have stayed behind. Vox is a coward, through and through. No, this reeks of external sabotage.”
cont
>>
>>4536099
“You think someone broke into Vox’s systems?” you ask, Arctus giving you a blank look as security footage plays behind his head. “That footage isn’t public either, right?”
“If I can hack into Vox’s inner network, completely undetected, then someone else could reasonably do the same.”
“Broly and Chaya told me about that after it happened, but having them just walk through the doors is insane.” you say, barely restraining a snarl. “Do you have any idea who could have done this?”

“I have a few suspicions.” Arctus says, the change in his tone making it clear that he has at least one person in mind. “But if it’s really who U suspect, then I’m not ready to take him on. Not with the Lucrehulk’s security still having so many exploitable weaknesses. I may search around a bit, and put a few feelers our, but I won’t take any actions yet.”
“Thanks Arctus.” you say, holding your right hand out to him. “You need anything, just let me know.”
“Will do.” he replies, taking your hand for a few moments before turning back to the computer. You watch for a few moments, but the speed Arctus flips between displays is really disorienting. So you take your leave, carrying your smiling Super Saiyan son with you.

With that done, what do you do now?

“C’mon, let’s go play kiddo.” you say, turning and heading towards the exterior.
“Aaaaaahh!” your son shouts excitedly, then looks curiously down at his hands. And as you see what draws his attention, your heart stops. Blood. Your heart rate accelerates faster than you can, you holding your son out and checking him over. His hands and upper body are all covered in blood, yet it doesn’t seem to be his. Looking down, you realize that you are also covered in blood. And for the first time in a long time, it isn’t your own blood. You remember again what happened earlier today and sigh out, panic dissipating as swiftly as it’d come.

“Come on, let’s go get cleaned up first.” you say to him, carrying your son to the nearest airlock. He gazes out into space, eyes wide with wonder as he looks out. “You ready to go out kiddo?”
“AAAaaaaaah? AAAAAH AAAAAHH!!” Karn Jr shouts out, clearly ready to do this. So you take a deep breath in, and as you breathe out form your Barrier around you both. “Aaaahhhh?”
“Yeah. Don’t go out through this door without me, okay?” you say, then step through the energy airlock. You fly slowly through the space from the command center to the left arm, passing back into the airlock without issue. And once you both are well inside you drop the shield, walking both of you to the open shower beside the training room. Each chamber has one attached to the exterior, to wash off the sweat, blood, and any other possible fluids before leaving the area. So you start the water to running, and quickly wash your fellow Saiyans’ blood off of the two of you.

“Aaaaaaaahhh!!” Karn Jr shouts excitedly as you leave the shower, shaking the water off and giggling to himself.
“Alright, let’s go.” you say, opening the gravity chamber and walking in. Setting your son down you pull the door shut, then turn back to him. And to your surprise, he’s not there! “Kiddo? Wha-?”
“Aaaaaah!!” he shouts, from above you of all places. And looking up, your son looks like he’s flying! “Aaaaah aaaaaahh!!”
“Not anotha’ move, Saiyan.” a menacing voice hisses. And from behind your son a humanoid woman apprars, her right hand holding your kid by the back of his collar as the left brings a curved knife around to his throat. “Or the kid ‘ere gets it.”
“Don’t you fucking dare.” you say, voice dropping menacingly. “You so much as scratch him, and your death will be slow, and painful.”

“I so much as scratch ‘em, the kid’s good as dead anyways.” she replies, the knife’s edge resting right against his throat. “So you’re the big bad Karn, huh? Yer a bit smaller than I’d thought you’d be.”

So GD, this new general is he per chance the one responsible for this, or is it Black Dragon? He's been recording us so far, and knows a lot about us, so there's no doubt he knew this woman wasn't going to get out alive, and that there'd be nothing she could do in time to stop us. Is the message perhaps not solely directed to us, but also a test run of what our instincts will and will not pick up? If I'm not wrong, he's probably going to do one more test, or maybe he's already had one test done that failed, before he starts making waves right?

So far he, and by extension we know that our senses can't pick up enemies in locations they've always been who aren't acting. We know from past experience that we can still locate enemies in places we have been as seen with our ship, but whether the splitjaw big brain knows is up for anyone's guess? No, wait, he's already tested this didn't he? We found a stand user sneaking aboard, that was probably his own test of whether being there already was the factor, or foreign locations, or something else was the factor. He also knows that though we can sense interference that doesn't necessarily mean we know where, and that can assume we were either ignoring the instincts flaring, or they stopped after a period of time. And perhaps even more recently, he knows as long as we're in battle and the target is not Karn at all, our instincts are either slow to activate or don't at all. The Splitjaw has been trying to get to us through family, both with Karn Jr. attempted kidnapping, and with Meloka if the future is to be trusted.

Here's the question then? Why Karn? Why not target Vegeta as king, or the Ginyus if they have anyone or something?

My best guess is because we're the chain so to speak. We have the most connections to the heaviest hitters of the PTO Army, and if we bow the leg, it will not only demotivate the rest of the Saiyan's but we can be used as a bartering chip for Vegeta, Meloka, Frieza, anyone really. We're also the most likely to reason out something, unlike Frieza or Meloka who'd likely just rage and kill. Of course this is still under the assumption they could even keep any of them from ripping their spines out their head, even with Karn in captive and or in danger. My only guess, is that they have some way sort of trap, perhaps a stand who's stationary or takes a long set up, that could completely bypass powerlevels and put any subdue any high status target. That way they could bait Karn, trap him, and then anyone who follows in a rinse and repeat, until they force the PTO to surrender or ceasefire and negotiate, or until they can take the remaining PTO as they are. Am I close or wrong with any of my guesses? Also sorry for this admittedly long post, just been dwelling on this for awhile.
>>
>>4539204
I think you’ve entirely misunderstood her sudden appearance, but that may have been intentional on my part for the sake of Cliff Hanger.
Why would they target anyone else? From their point of view as long as Karn, slayer of Arbiters and the symbol of the PTO’s military might lives, the war will relentlessly continue.
As for the Black Dragon clan, they knew before getting captured by the Covenant that Karn was basically under the “certain suicide” list of assassination targets among those in the know. As well-renown members of the criminal underworld, they knew what the Zoldycks put out about how even Old Man Zoldyck himself couldn’t assassinate Karn.
And yes. If Karn, moreso than any other single PTO member dies, then the attack will falter and could fall apart entirely. As long as Karn persists, morale seemingly won’t break and the attack will continue.
>>
>>4539296
>And yes. If Karn, moreso than any other single PTO member dies, then the attack will falter and could fall apart entirely.
Well the attack might collapse but the unhinged slaughter that would follow might be a bit less pleasant. Kinda hard to fight back when a space alien is flying around at the speed of light nuking your stars out of existence and the rest of the system along with it. Bad end.
>>
>>4539296
Damn, completely off huh? Still I'm 2/3? 2/4? so far at least.
>>
As terrible as the loss of any of Karns senpai would be there resulting Legendary Wrath Form rampage would almost be epic enough to compensate for it.
>>
>>4539381
Freeza would be pissed off enough to say screw the plan, and simply destroy everything should such misfortune strike Karn.
>>4539387
I’ll say this, they’ve been watching you very, very carefully. Which is precisely why she’s here.
>>4539424
The Covenant know that to win, Karn has to die. Plain and simple. If they can’t kill him, they’ll lose: because he keeps getting stronger over time at a rather alarming rate.
>>
>>4539435
>Freeza would be pissed off enough to say screw the plan, and simply destroy everything should such misfortune strike Karn.
Add Meloka to that list.
They're pretty much dead no matter what they do.
>>
>>4539560
The difference is she needs a ship, and you know air. Freeza has no such limits. He could leave everyone behind and fly straight to attack High Charity alone.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 144 Epilogue-

AGE 749, DREADZONE FLEET

“Hey Chilli! I got those drinks!” Caulifla, your always-upbeat little sister shouts as she comes in your room. In her arms she’s carrying four bottles, each one a delicate glass thing filled with a pale blue fluid. She sets them down on your bed behind you, then comes to your side curiously. “So, what’re you doin’ Chilli? Tryin’ out some cool new magic on sis’s old sword?”
“If I can make this spell work, she’ll get her sword back, good as new.” you tell her, feigning a level of confidence for her that you don’t entirely feel. You are Chilli: Super Saiyan, greatest sorcerer among the entire Saiyan race, son of Karn and Meloka, and younger brother to Dreadzone’s champion Chaya. And after months of grueling war against the insectoid Hive creatures, you are nearly back home on New Salda. And before you get home, you are determined to take the first step on your ultimate goal: defeating and usurping the Supreme Kai of Time so your entire family can live together. But to defeat her, you have to master the most difficult of magics: time magic. Raven, the new Guardian of New Salda has warned you several times about the dangers of trying to manipulate time. And even she, with all her years of practice and power can only stop time for so long. Something about the mantle of Guardian refusing to allow her to go against the Kai’s rules for the universe. But you have no such weakness, spending every evening for the past few months working this spell out in preparation for this night. You are going to do it: you will reverse time.

“But how are you gonna fix it?” Caulifla asks, sitting on seemingly nothing beside you. “Don’t you need the rest of it here too? Or whatever’s left of it?”
“Not for this spell.” you say, quickly taking off your chest armor as it’s makeup actually dampens your spellcasting ability a bit by absorbing a bit of your magical energy. Which actually does help a bit against any incoming spells, but you aren’t dealing with any of that today. Hopefully. “What I’m trying to do isn’t as simple as putting pieces back together. I’m going to, if this works, rewind the sword back to when it was whole.”
“Woah! You can DO that?!” she asks, eyes wide and jaw hanging open. “Magic is so cool!”
“Only when it works.” you say, Megumin giggling behind you as she remembers all your failed spells that have blown up in your face. She’s still laying on the bed, mentally exhausted from helping you figure out all the calculations you’d need for such spellcraft. And while working and reworking those numbers so many times wore her out, it only left you feeling even more fired up! It’s finally time! “Hey, Megu. Mind if I borrow your staff for this one?”
>>
>>4541538
“Sure. But if you break it, you have to make me an even better one.” she says, you picking up the magical staff you’d made for her. With one of your magical aquamarine crystals embedded in the staff, or more accurately the wood of the staff grown around it, this staff is a powerful tool. Perhaps you should make your own when you get home? “But what about Blue Flame, won’t it get jealous if you use that instead?”

“Not if I use them both.” you reply, switching the staff to your left hand and picking up the magical blade. In one of her fights with those so-called Invaders, Caulifla’d managed to take one of their weapons for you after seeing it could be used to cast magic. And after some testing you discovered that it did, and do it so well that you gave up your dagger to Megumin so she could use it to protect herself in close quarters combat when you aren’t around. “But for this, I’mma need both.”
“Hold on, I just remembered you can’t start yet! Megumin suddenly shouts, leaping off the bed and running towards the door. “Give me just a minute, you’ll need this!”
“Need what?” you try and ask, but she’s already gone. You glance to your sister, but she just shrugs in response, as clueless as you are. Fortunately you aren’t left waiting long, as Megumin rushes back to the door. But now, there’s something behind her back. “Everything ok?”

“Yeah, I just almost forgot something!” she replies, rushing over to you with the mystery package behind her back before offering it up to you. “Here, open it!”
“Uhh, okay?” you say, setting both magical tools carefully on the bed behind you before taking the box from her. It’s rather light, you quickly opening it and finding she’s gotten you quite the surprise. “Woah. Megu, you didn’t have to do all this.”
“Of course I didn’t. But I did it anyways.” she says, striking her own pose. “For the first big step towards claiming your destiny, you gotta look the part! Now c’mon, try it on already!”

And so you pull out your very own pointed wizard hat, marveling at it a few moments before putting it on your head. As you do you feel the magic woven into the very material, no doubt something made back in her home village. And it fits perfectly, almost as it your head has been waiting it’s whole life for this hat. And that’s not even everything! Because under the hat, was your very own pitch black, Crimson Demon-made coat. You waste no time, pulling your left arm then right through the sleeves, and letting its weight settle on your shoulders. Much like the hat this garment is almost built of magic, and you feel that even if you were still wearing your armor this would more than offset it. With your new coat and hat, you now truly feel ready to do this. After doing one last thing of course.
>>
>>4541542
“Thanks, I love it.” you say, grabbing your girlfriend and giving her a tight hug. Not too tight, as you’d snap her in half, but just tight enough to pull her against you and hold her close for several warm seconds before pulling back. “Where did you get this?”
“My old man made it, with help from almost everyone in the village too.” she says proudly. “The mayor felt he hadn’t thanked you enough yet, and decided that if you’re gonna be an honorary Crimson Demon and out representing us across the universe, then you gotta look the part!”
“You look so cool!” Caulifla shouts excitedly, running and flying circles around you looking at it from all sides. She then grabs both sword and staff, handing them up to you excitedly. “Here! Here!”

“Oh yeah, this feels right.” you say, a big goofy grin helplessly breaking out on your face as your magical power flows seamlessly through everything. With the staff in your left hand and magic sword in your right, you feel more powerful. The magical frequencies of this garb seem to somehow be enhancing both the staff and sword’s own magica properties, and even your own power. In fact, you feel so powerful you may not even need all those special magic-restoring elixers at all. “Now, let’s do this.”

Focusing on the magic within the staff first you unleash it, the entire tool beginning to glow with azure magical energy. Once you’ve heightened the staff’s power you bring the crystal atop it to your sword, and starting at the crossguard slide it down the length of the blade while saying the spell’s name, “Crystal Magic Weapon”. As you do the entire blade becomes engulfed in magical crystals, which will sharpen and enhance your spells. Going down on a knee you set the staff you’d made Megumin, grab your sword’s handle, and carefully bring the tip down onto Chaya’s acid-melted sword. As the two make contact you focus, casting a few spells on yourself to shut out all outside distractions. Simple sensory-deprivation spells keep your awareness limited to perhaps two feet in all directions, leaving you unable to see, smell, or hear anything outside this small bubble.

“Dark Magic: True Dark.” you say, channeling your magical energy through your sword and into Chaya’s. And you watch as the purest darkness you’ve ever seen flows from your weapon into hers, fully engulfing the broken weapon. Covered and soaked in such pure darkness, not even light is able to escape it. Which is the point. With all the studying and experimtation you had done, you discovered that light and time are inseperably linked. So to undo the effects of time on something, first you have to undo it’s connection with light. Yet as the spell finishes you feel yourself sagging a bit, the spell taking more out of you than you’d thought it would. Fortunately, you’d planned for this very thing.
>>
>>4541545
“Megumin, the first one please.” you say, letting go of your blade with your left and holding it out towards where you think you’d left her. And despite your magic dampening your own feelings so you can concentrate, you do notice your left hand is shaking a little bit. Maybe you aren’t as ready for this as you’d thought? But then you feel Megumin pressing the glass into your hand, her other hand wrapping around yours for a moment. You nod, smiling a bit towards her as she let’s go and lets you drink the magical potion. Energy surges into you as you drink the freezingly cold liquid, your mind seemingly sharpening as you stare down at the sword swathed in true dark. It’s now or never! “Alright, let’s hope this works. Light Magic: Light Absorption.”

And as you begin channeling this second, more potent spell, you watch as pure light begins gathering into the crystals covering your magical blade. Your spell was in effect two fold: first with the Dark to keep any light from reaching the damaged weapon, then by taking the weapon’s light, you begin to slowly pulling it back through time. As each crystal reaches it’s limit on the energy it can absorb it shatters, releasing the magical energy it had contained. And within a few seconds, you realize it isn’t enough. Less than ten seconds after you started channeling the light spell nearly half of the magical crystals have already shattered, you gritting your teeth against the titanic mental effort of keeping both spells running while also trying to think of a solution. But luckily for you, you’re not alone. You feel something poking the back of your left hand, and see Megumin’s staff pressed against it. You try and say something to her, but as your concentration wavers the hold you have over both spells wavers as well.

“SHIT!” you seethe, returning your full attention to the dual spells you have running. With this much power concentrated into the two most-opposite magical forces in existence, the consequences of losing control of this now could be dire. Megumin releases you almost immediately, instead moving to your back after a few moments and hugging your back. To an outsider this would doubtlessly look like she’s just holding onto you, but as she connects her body to yours she’s also connecting her magic and mind both to your own.
“Let me hold this one.” she says, you feeling her bracing your hold on the light spell. “I can hold it while you recast your crystals.”
“You’re the best.” you reply, mentally and not verbally as you reach down with your left hand and grab onto her staff once more. “Let’s do this!”
>>
>>4541548
“Crystal Magic Weapon.” you say again, once more dragging the staff’s crystal head down your sword’s blade. Again as you do this crystals begin sprouting and rapidly growing along your sword, yet each one almost begins glowing with sunlight absorbed from Chaya’s old weapon before you’ve even put the staff back down. Without those magical crystals, all that light energy would have traveled up Blue Flame and into you. And without a safe way to expel the massive amounts of energy built up over years, you would probably just explode. And there’s no healing pod around that could fix that mess. But as your magical energy pours out into the staff as well, your own magical energy reserves begin drying up. If you don’t get replenished soon, you’d have to stop the spell before the drain kills you. That is, if you didn’t have one more helper here. “Cauli, drink.”

“Okay!” your sister says excitedly, her happy, singsongy tone almost shattering your concentration again. So you close your eyes and double down on your focus, tuning out the world except for desperately holding on to both spells. And it works, until something touches your lips. “Here, drink!”

Wordlessly you open your mouth a crack, Caulifla pouring the fluid that can be best described as chilly fire down your throat. It burns with frigid coldness, yet you feel your magical store’s replenishing almost instantly. Not as much as a full meal and a night’s sleep, but hopefully that gave you enough magic to finish this. And of course, the moment you have the thought, your Dark spell suddenly begins rapidly consuming your magical power! Your eyes snap open, and looking down you realize why: the Dark-shrouded weapon is now more than three times the size it was moments ago! And the magical energy you’d just consumed begins rapidly disappearing, the crystals along your Blue Flame also filling and shattering far faster than before. You hadn’t accounted for this, for how much more energy you’d be dealing with as the blade became whole. Yet you can’t release the spell yet. After all, the Hive’s acid blood had been damaging her blade for months: if you quit now it’d just shatter the first time she swung it. You need more.

“Another.” you pant out, closing your eyes and trying to hold on as both spells are eating through both your magical reserves and your sword’s crystals. “Hurry!”
“Use my mana too.” Megumin says, placing both her hands upon your chest. You feel her violent, explosive energy flowing into you; her magic warming your chilled insides. “C’mon Chilli, just a little bit longer. You can do it!”

“Here, drink it all!” Cauli says worriedly, bringing the last two both to you at the same time as she speaks with a bit of urgency as you chug down the potions. She doesn’t do magic, but from her years now of experience helping people and healing them, she can tell you’re nearing your limit. And as the last few crystals on your blade shatter, you realize just how much you’d underestimated what you’re doing. You thought you had it all figured out, that you could harness time itself and defeat the Supreme Kai of Time. But now, as all that light energy the crystals had been absorbing surges up the blade and into you, you realize you may have made the worst mistake of your life. And just as you brace for your insides to be scalded by pure light, you feel it: Chaya’s sword’s magic returns!

“HRYAAAAAAA!!” you roar, and with every last ounce of strength left pull your blade free of hers, severing the magic. You’d designed that light-drinking spell with that specific safety built in, just in case it was necessary. And luckily you had, any longet and the light would have begun burning you from the inside out. You flop down on your side, panting in exhaustion, but it’s not quite over yet. So with what wits you can muster you reach out, and grab ahold of Chaya’s sword. The moment your bare hand touches the metal the dark magic begins dispelling, revealing the fruits of your labor. And there, as pristine as the day you all had found it in the catacombs beneath New Salda is her sword, the Pursuer.

“It’s over.” you say, falling listlessly onto your side as your brain tries to un-scramble and process what all just happened. “We...We really did it.”
“You did it.” Megumin says, her arms still wrapped around you over your shoulders. “We just helped keep you going.”
“That’s sooo cool, you really fixed it!” Caulifla shouts, you glancing over to her and seeing your sister holding the giant sword with both hands. But you also see a familiar, spectral form beginning to take shape from the darkness behind her. She clearly senses something too, either that or sees the expression on your face and turns around. Only to once more see the Pursuer itself levitating before her. Before anyone can say a word, the spirit swings it’s sword. And as exhausted as you are, both physically and mentally, all you can do is watch as she shouts out a single word. “TRIUMPH!!”

And the phantom’s sword stops, as if halted by an invisible wall. Her Stand. Then before it can react you watch as your room’s door opens, your older sister’s surprised face the last thing you see as your vision goes dark. The last thought through your mind, before unconsciousness takes you, is you hope she likes having her sword back.

Hot DAMN Chili!
You go boy, talk about a Badass, using Time Magic at such a young age!
>>
>>4541565
If he’d used actual time magic, it would have been a bit easier. But the way he did it, Chilli actually undid time on the weapon. He’d better prepare himself, as many beings who would never have noticed him will now be looking towards him with great interest.

>But the way he did it, Chilli actually undid time on the weapon
INTERESTING.
>many beings who would never have noticed him will now be looking towards him with great interest
INTERESTING INDEED.
Oh hey, this means we have a shot at killing Kars now.
>>
>>4541641
Which is a hell of a lot bigger deal than rewinding time. For the JoJo fans out there, specifically Part 4, what happens if you simply rewind time on something or someone?
Let’s just say that there are beings in the universe, and multiverse that felt what Chilli just did. To put it simply, he permanently changed the fate of that sword.
>>
>>4541692
>Let’s just say that there are beings in the universe, and multiverse that felt what Chilli just did. To put it simply, he permanently changed the fate of that sword.
Wait, so it actually is a lot bigger than just rewinding the damage to it.
Is it in a perpetual state now?
>>
>that whole sequence
I fucking love magic shenanigans
>>
>>4541714
If you simply rewind time, what happened before will happen again as it did. If Chilli rewound the sword, it would simply fall apart after awhile as if it were back when it was getting soaked in Hiveling acid blood daily. If you’re familiar with Bites The Dust, then you already know how this would play out, Chilli reversing time on it and it returning to it’s end state over and over again. But with his fledgling control over both aspects of Disparity, he was able to undo the sword’s very fate.
As for perpetual state no, any new damage it sustains will stick.
>>4541726
Magic is fun, and not something I can write often with this quest. If Saiyan Conqueror Quests ever ends, and I still want to QM after that, I’ll run a quest of my homebrew magic setting.
>>
>>4541741
The sword being cleaned of its original fate raises some interesting questions. After Chilli took that original fate from it, did it get “assigned” a new fate that fits where it would be taken and what it would do? If something like that doesn’t happen in this situation, you’ve got to wonder what qualities an object without a fate would have.

Yes, an interesting question. Chilli just reshaped the future of your timeline. Now, to what extent a single magical sword will change it is uncertain, but it’s not like this timeline’s own fate wasn’t destroyed long ago by another such event...

Yes, along with his spells’ efficiency. Not that anyone would willingly part with. And someone able to manipulate those forces could be a threat to even the Supreme Kai of Time.

So if we don't take it when he expects it he'll be surprised, and if he's surprised he won't be expecting it. Therefore if we wait just a minute or two longer than he expects it'll be easy.

A perfect heist.

GD, what would happen if Chilli used that new ‘True Dark’ spell while in Soul Release? Could he coat someone in the Dark, and potentially pull off fuckery with that?

Sorry for the double post, but, as an addendum... I actually think Chilli is our most impressive kid so far. I mean, he’s only eleven years old, and he’s not only better with Ki control than his old man, but he’s even using Magic on a scale that can literally defy the expectations of the SKOT.

Karn hasn't really been able to back up most of his threats to her either. At this point it should be a family principal to tell her to go fuck herself whenever she shows up.

Chili progressing fast boy
>>

Very true. With her powerset, there isn’t really much he can do to her except kill Trunks and her other minions currently.

There’s a reason for that. He’s been doing magic for less than half a decade, and already achieved more than most mages ever do. Granted, he’s had some of the best help in the universe via the Crimson Demons, Raven, and Aku, but his own natural talent is exceptional. Even moreso considering how little talent Saiyans have for magic.
>>
>>4542740
>currently
I'm glad you made note of that before I did.
We can either go the Jiren route of being strong enough to just ignore her control over time.
Or we can master the Dark and gain some measure of passive resistance against her bullshit.
That or Mechikabura will actually make good on his word treat us an equ-OH GOD MY SIDES! I COULDN'T FINISH THAT SENTENCE WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!
At the end of the day he's still evil as fuck. And he's also still a Kai, so that alone puts him on our shitlist.
This is a Ningen only universe.
>>
>>4542779
>OH GOD MY SIDES!
NO DON'T DROP THE MASHED POTATOES! You butterfingered buffoon now the only side we have left is the macaroni.

Personally I say we get Aku to timey wimey the hell out of us and make time powers all wonky if someone tries to use them on us.
>>
>>4542779
If you want to to the Jiren route, you’r have to abandon everything. Family, friends, allies, all of it.
As for Mechikabura, he’ll never treat you as an equal. He sees everyone as a lesser being than himself. But that doesn’t mean he’d treat a useful ally poorly. Even if you failed a battle, he won’t just out and end you. You don’t become a longtime ruler by making enemies of your allies and relying on fear of death for motivation. He is evil, but that doesn’t make him stupid. Much like Karn himself. You don’t keep your subordinates’ loyalty by killing one who fails a mission.
>>4542786
He doesn’t mess around much with time himself. Just throwing the occasional warrior thousands of years ahead in time is the most he does there.

I still think Chilli is awesome for pulling it off, but now I'm worried about how casual he was about using "true dark" in a jury-rigged magic sequence to make a present for his sister. I'm no dark souls loremaster, but most people that fuck with the dark get fucked back, whether they're using it themselves or fighting it.
>>

So who wins in a triple threat match between Karn, Guts, and Artorias?

The Dark should never casually be fucked with. But each mage has their own specialty or specialties, magics that come easily to them. What does it say about Chilli that his two best magics, Crystal and Dark, have the worst effects on even god-tier beings?
>>4542968
Is this pre or post-Dark Artorias? Because that makes a difference. Assuming pre-Dark, at his strongest, Artorias is the physically strongest of the three considering he’s of the first gods’ blood. Honestly at this level of power, Guts shouldn’t even be here. A better fight would be Karn, Artorias, and Boros all throwing down.

>>4543131
So, got around to reading the epilogue. First off, nice as fuck GD! It was a great read.
So I'm guessing Moro will be going for Chilli next, as the next potential greatest force/threat in our timeline?

Few questions, first is the Dark side and the Dark from Souls correlated in anyway? They effectively on the same side of the primordial energy wheel or something maybe?
And since stand's are psychic manifestations, could Guldo recognize them and affect them if he grew accustomed to one? Maybe injure and kill them?
>>
>>4543170
Glad you enjoyed. As for the goat, we’ll have to wait and see what fate awaits him. I will say this, if and when he shows up, his arc will be a hell of a lot better here than the manga.
Possibly. They both stem from the most vibrant and violent emotions of ‘ningen’, after all.
He cannot. The best way to describe it is his mental abilities are on a different wavelength than Stands, like being on a pitch higher than you can hear or infrared/UV light
>>
>>4543185
Alright and what of mechi? He'll surely be making the rounds to disable any chance of Chilli being a threat, no?

And then that's interesting. I'd imagine that combining these raw mortal emotions with primal or even apex would result in a very powerful, if not terribly unstable being? And with a focus on the dark, even if SKoT nuked the timeline, said individual would still exist, much like the good ol' ring dragon in her basement, yeah?
>>
>>4541756
>you’ve got to wonder what qualities an object without a fate would have
{Looks at karn}
>>
>>4543220
He’s watching very closely. You don’t fundamentally change fate without drawing a whole bunch of attention. Magic and the Primal forms don’t mix, as magic requires intense focus and concentration. But should one become consumed by Dark, it would a ferocious beast make indeed.
No. If the timeline’s gone it’s gone. Only those outside that reality wielding magical protections specifically against that happening(such as a Time Ring) would still exist. That Dark is still part of her reality. Should her reality somehow be destroyed, that Dark would cease as well. All that would be left is an unformed world of grey.

GD HOW DO WE TEST FOR FORCE SENSITIVITY?
>>
>>4543311
>the only area where we wont get outclassed by Karn's kids
Did you forget how many kids you have? Counting Broly, Karn Jr brings that total up to an even ten. And as uniquely special as each of them seem to be, you’ll be hard pressed for each one not to surpass you in some way.
As for testing, perhaps you should ask Bane. He’d know better than anyone else you could ask anytime soon.

Neat. Speaking of, 'cause I know we've gotta have talked about this b4, what's the thread's vibe on having karn learn magic? We waiting for a certain school or is it too much of a time-eater?

I wonder why? Meteoric burst is already hell on his body, and it actively shortens his lifespan to use it. Going beyond THAT would RAPIDLY drain it even further.

I wondering what this strange danger sense that Karn has really is.
>Ki Sense
>Connection to the Force
>Karn's body physical nervous system combined with his natural 5 senses
>Something to do with Karn's natural aptitude to telepathy (but that may be coming from the Force already mentioned earlier)
All this together is working subconsciously/unconsciously and gives Karn an alert he needs when something bad is approaching.
Is this close to truth?

I remember Darth Bane said:
>" But, I must advise caution.” the ancient spectre replies seriously. “Trying to change the future from incomplete information can result in the very future you were trying to avoid. I’ve seen it happen far too many times.” "
But what can we do?
I don't want Karn to just walk right into the trap that Kano planed for him.

Karn's danger sense warned us about a lot of bad things.
Now it seems the threat is possibly so serious it resulted in our danger sense( in conjunction with the Force) gave us warning about the future.

I don't think ignoring this would be good.

Hi all, I'm kind of new so I haven't read the past threads.
Quick question, have the Halo rings, Forerunners, or Flood come up in this quest so far? If not wouldn't the Halos work by shooting out a ki-annihilation wave that insta-kills everything that needs ki to live (past the threshold where the Flood can no longer use it) in its effective range?

That's a question for GD specifically. I will say however that the rings function by emitting certain sub-atomic particles at a specific frequency that destroys the nervous system of any macroscopic organism.

Hey quick question. Can an entity fuse with an alternate timeline version of itself?
Would it have any different effects in comparison to regular Fusion-Dance and Potara fusions?
I know 17 managed to do it, but there wasn't any time travel involved and one half of that was specifically made for the fusion.
I have to wonder if we can just fuse with an alternate Karn and absolutely fuck up the SKoT's ability to manipulate time around us.

Yes, potentially. You’d need a powerful mage to do so, and it could still fail spectacularly. And while their experiences would merge, it wouldn’t cause a significant boost to their power. It would instead average their power out, as well as their age. Hell 17 was in fact made solely for that purpose, much like Cell was designed to absorb 17 and 18.
Fusing with another timeline Karn would not affect the SKoT’s powers against you, and she actively works to shut such things down.

Alright well if you want my answer as is

>Meloka (Crowd control, massive versatility, probably gonna be a God by then)
>Frieza (Absolutely destroys anybody besides Jiren and maybe Toppo)
>King Vegeta IV (If he can master Primal he'd be a monster. Even better if he can tap into Apex)
>Guldo (time manipulation will never not be OP. If Jotaro somehow also ends up making the cut, the more the merrier)
>Caulifla (healing will be a must for any long term strategy, but she's gonna have to pair with somebody who can make up for her lack of physical might)
>Buu (swap with Ubo if Buu is destroyed)
And the final 3 slots would be decided by a Galactic Tournament between the remaining warriors of Universe 7. This would be sponsored by Vox media of course.

Well Ginyu, Guldo, Cualifla, without question or chance to change. Freeza because it's unlikely he looses. Then I suppose a tournament for everyone else. Chilli being another clinch, just because magic bullshit.
>>
>>4547567
>but I don’t think he’d have enough sunlight juice to carry him through the tournament
Depends on how much he can store beforehand.
>>
>>4547516
>it actually does work on jiren but he needs to be beaten down first
I'm entirely ok with this, ginyu can just keep body hopping to stay in the ring until we can beat jiren down.
>>
>>4547549
A team full of heavy hitters. But which kids would you say no to at that point?
>>4547553
Now this one’s thinking
>>4547567
Ubo would be best as an early sweeper, but wouldn’t be able to carry his power into the late game.
>>4547569
His magic bullshit will be quite interesting, especially after this coming part two epilogue.
>>4547615
Not enough to match someone like Jiren, at least not for much longer than the first UI Omen Goku vs Jiren
>>
>>4547617
Can Chilli make suns out of magic that Ubo can charge from?
>>
>Nobody chose Aku, who is explicitly immune to nonmagical/nonholy damage, can shapeshift and regenerate endlessly, and turn himself into like 3,000,000 warriors if need be
>Aku also knows a shitload of magic, including time magic
>>
>>4547617
>A team full of heavy hitters
Much like the functional parts of the canon U7 team.
The difference here being we have much more experience working as a unit, have much better strategic knowledge, and can cover a lot more bases than the canon team could ever hope to.
>But which kids would you say no to at that point?
Whichever kids can't hack it in the tournament. I love them, but they have to earn a spot if they want it.
Caulifla only gets a free pass because she's a white mage and stand user. She's invaluable because of her abilities, not her raw power. We already have plenty of veteran warriors who more than cover us in terms of muscle.
>>
>>4547622
actually, I wonder if the sunlight javelins from miracles count as sunlight Ubo could use in a pinch, or if they're sunlight in name only...
>>
>>4547631
>Our basic bitch slugger team beats OG U7 because we don't use Goku as an excuse to slack off.
Feels good.
>>4547655
Might be Sunlight and whatever else the first flame was.
>>
>>4547629
....is he even allowed to participate? His daughters might get a pass, but Aku might not.
>>
>>4547687
Why wouldn't he? He isn't a god.
>>
>>4547693
However, he's a fragment of the personification of primordial darkness.
>>
>>4547698
it's fine, that isn't a god either!
>>
>>4547629
I completely forgot about Aku. If he’s able to participate I’ll sub Chilli out for him on my list.
>>
>>4547617
My list would gotta be
>Frieza
>Karn
>Guldo
>Aku(if possible)
>Boros
>Vegeta
>Buu
>Chilli
As necessaries with meloka not on the necessary list only because of Meloka's skillset being kill oriented fighting style and her chance to berserk if Karn is hurt badly.
Next I'd put in for possible but anyone's ball game
>Meloka
>Ubo
>Ginyu
>Bardock
>Caulifa
>Chaya
>Karn Jr.(If he's old enough)
>Moro

The last one is included because while it would be awful if he got his wish, holy shit would it be grand to have him.

And if we're really talking limitless candidates, I'd love to have that one blonde from way back who could copy transformations just to see if they could get one of the higher ups. Probably not Toppo's destruction god but maybe they could rip off the magical girl's, or better yet copy the constantly increasing power of Ganos from Universe 4.

I'd probably not let in any one of the kids who are a child currently. Nor would I let in Tatsu and Tomi as getting their full power and potential takes two slots.
>>
Guys, we don't have Buu, and likely won't. Why is he on peoples list?
>>
>>4547813
There's a possibility to get him, so just in case.
>>
>>4547813
Through the power of friendship, anything is possible.
>>
>>4547813
Anything can happen between now and the ToP, and if we find Buu we’re going full friendship route on him.
>>
>>4547816
>>4547817
Except Babadi fucked off to black space, and will never show himself to the galaxy at large as long as we are alive, and King Cold knows he's still kicking. Ergo, no fucking Buu.
>>4547820
Again, can't happen now. Friendship can't do anything if he doesn't exist for us. Because Pink Bitch won't let us borrow one.
>>
>>4547827
I mean, no. Karn could totally crack Buu's egg open with Dragon Force, so if we ever did find a good IC reason to do so we could
>>
>>4547831
We, well, Karn, isn't the kind of idiot that would release an ancient evil.
>>
>>4547827
>Except Babadi fucked off to black space, and will never show himself to the galaxy at large as long as we are alive
You're completely sure about that? I imagine if he found Buu he'd be pretty emboldened just like we was in the canon timeline.
>>
>>4547840
I mean.... Aku
>>
>>4547841
.....he had the balls to open hell on our planet with Cooler backing him, in spite knowing Cold was still around. And lost his legs like a bitch after failing to bind Dabura, who now knows Babidi is willing to try and get him in his own throne room. What you are trying to justify is a level and girth of balls with their own gravitational pull, that time bullshit is involved with getting him to become willing to climb out of the dark, dank, seeping hole he crawled in to hide.
>>
>>4547851
Aku, is a known customer and family friend in Freeza space, someone that also feared Buu. Someone that is also very reasonable. He is, far as Karn is concerned, a darker shade of grey.
>>
>>4547852
I stand by my statement. He's gonna make a move when he finds Buu, and he will.
It also doesn't help that he probably has far better henchmen than this time.
>>
>>4547856
>Darker shade of gray
Uhuh
Hell that wasn't even our Aku, it was just a random Aku who could've done anything upon release.
>>
>>4547865
He helped us, and got our sick sword from the deal.
>>4547862
>Better
>Implying he's left his lair for anything
>>
>>4547616
Beating Jiren down is the single most difficult path to victory
>>4547622
Potentially, if he goes down that route. However, his next batch of spells will be a little less, pleasant.
>>4547629
He is a small part of a god, or at least something akin to them.
>>4547631
Rip Tien.
Yeah, you don’t pit the fate of New Salda on deathmatches nearly that often either.
A very fair statement. When everything is on the line, one can’t be too emotional.
>>4547655
>>4547672
There’s actually a readily-available answer for this. When Caulifla uses a Sunlight Spear, it appears as lightning. What other solar power appears as crackling electricity around the user?
>>4547687
>>4547693
>>4547702
In the beginning, there were four gods who split their powers to create the way of things. Or at least creatures possessing such awesome power, anyways. Light, life, Dark, and death. >>4547807
Meloka is very stab-happy. But would she accept simply sitting on the sidelines while others fight for her and the universe?
If you discover Moro before then, potentially. Although, with as many powerful magic users around, he won’t be near the threat he was. Raven would certainly be able to stop the succ from affecting New Salda.
>And if we're really talking limitless candidates, I'd love to have that one blonde from way back who could copy transformations just to see if they could get one of the higher ups.
He’s long dead.
>>4547813
>we don't have Buu, and likely won't
Now that’s up to anons, and of course the dice. I wouldn’t simply throw away such a character to never be seen, but you could stop his awakening. Because Babidi knows now that he’ll need Saiyan power to awaken the Majin.
>>4547827
If Babidi has his way. Don’t forget, the PTO, Dark Matter, and other allies are also searching the wizard out to prevent Buu’s awakening.
>>4547840
Chaya, on the other hand, doing so wouldn’t even be her first time.
>>4547852
>>4547862
>>4547875
I’ll say this, in case you weren’t around for or don’t remember the Babidi epilogue pre-Guldo cutting him down. OOC Babidi knows where Buu is, but he can’t risk leading Cold to him without enough reinforcements to stop his longtime foe long enough for their energy to revive Buu. So he tried enslaving Dabura, as the Demon King’s strength is legendary. But he failed, and now has to devise a new plan. A new new plan, as the Covenant were his next option. Now he has to venture further into space, and who knows what sort of allies he’ll find?
>>
>>4547893
>Because Babidi knows now that he’ll need Saiyan power to awaken the Majin
If all he needs is raw power, there's plenty of non-Saiyan's in the universe who can provide that for him.
>Now he has to venture further into space, and who knows what sort of allies he’ll find?
Case in fucking point.
>>
>>4547893
Well...if Buu, who is another fragemented primordial entity, would have been allowed...I don't see why Aku wouldn't be.
>>
>>4547893
>However, his next batch of spells will be a little less, pleasant.
Our son takes war crimes as inspiration for attack spells. So what?
>Rip Tien.
>Mr. Sniper's wet dream target.
Fucking Toriyama.
>There’s actually a readily-available answer for this. When Caulifla uses a Sunlight Spear, it appears as lightning. What other solar power appears as crackling electricity around the user?
Hamon.
>Chaya, on the other hand, doing so wouldn’t even be her first time.
Which fucking reminds me, did we punish her for that?
>>4547906
Buu can barely fucking write his name, he is more like an angry attack child than god. Whom is a literal child....wait.
>>
>>4547893
>What other solar power appears as crackling electricity around the user?
Fascinating. Now I want to find a reason for Karn to make that sort of connection and send Caulifla off to spend a year or so training Hamon with the Joestars. Not for any metagame reasons like thinking it'll synergize and boost her miracles a ton, I just want her to pick up Joseph's mannerisms.
>>
>>4547909
>Buu can barely fucking write his name
Pure Buu you mean. Now if it was Evil Buu or Buu with anybody absorbed...
>>
>>4547905
He, much luke the rest of the universe, underestimated just how powerful the Saiyans had become. And scrying Karn’s one-sided STOMP of Trigon the Terrible, second only to Dabura himself, left a bit of an impression on him.
>>4547906
Buu isn’t a fragment of something greater, Buu is it’s own creature. Whereas Aku has been assimilating the other Children of the Dark, and growing stronger with each one subdued.
>>4547909
Not quite. Can’t spoil the epilogue, we’re only 2 1/2 posts in so far.
Ding ding, Hamon it is. She could zap Ubo, and while it would hurt like getting struck by lightning it would boost his power back up a bit.
You and Meloka scolded her together, and then encouraged her not to make that sort of mistake again by thinking through her actions. Which she has, to some extent.
Buu is basically a rabid attack dog-turned innocent unstoppable child. Grand Supreme Kai really nerfed Buu’s power.
>>4547912
He has to see her use it first. Which may be sooner than returning home yourself.
Well when she grows up, she will be built like her old man, so having JoJo’s mannerisms would be hilarious. Chaya will also be understandingly jealous of her sister as some of her own fans devote themselves to the unit that is Amazoness Caulifla instead.

Seriously, just imagine: it's the Tournament of Power, and things have devolved into complete chaos. Caulifla has been separated from the rest of the team and has encountered Jiren. As he wonders what tricks the daughter of Karn might have up her sleeve, she takes the initiative and pulls out the Joestar family secret technique.

Caulifla VS Caulifla

>Alright, I've had enough of your nonsense. This battle will end in my「TRIUMPH」!

I was more talking about Canon buu by the time of the TOP.
He's the good fragment of what used to be a whole-ass Buu.

>Chaya's mad her 10/10 pure angle Amazon little sister gets her fans
I mean, that is the perfect batting range for her target audience. But the idea of that same giant angel that likes to pose with her big little brother Chilli is just too cute too ignore. She wants to be a tiny priestess that can help people smile, but she'll be huge instead.
>>4547922
Beautiful.
>>4547931
Oh yeah, she must come, she must confuse the hell out of her alternate universe counterpart.
>>
Wait, guys, I just had a vision, A MAD, GLORIOUS VISION! Post Hamon training by the Joestars, Caulifla gets sent on another Blue Moon mission, to the Arch Dragon Peaks. And meets Gwendolin's estranged older brother, at the top with his dragon. And finishes the fight only to send him home so he can talk to his little brother, posing every five seconds while talking about the power of family.
>>
>>4547922
Ha.
>>4547931
>SEE! YOU JUST POSED FOR NO DAMN REASON!
Caulifla’s retort would be simple: “At least I have muscle to flex. Do you even train?”
>>4547932
In the canon timeline, he has no real divinity left. Virtually all of that went to Uub, after Kid Buu’s death.
>>4547934
>She wants to be a tiny priestess that can help people smile, but she'll be huge instead.
Yes.
>>4547939
Ha
>>
>>4547948
Wait a second GD, by Dark Souls one time when Gwendolin only had his fit bodyguard Firekeeper for company, does that mean Gwendolin have a thing for large fit women, and does Karn need to bring the hammer and sword back in time to have a chat with him about our daughter?
>>
>>4547948
>She wants to be a tiny priestess that can help people smile, but she'll be huge instead.
>Yes.
In Caulifla's defense though, she would make a adorable if scary magical girl healer, lack of dress/miniskit and petite size not holding her back.
>>
>>4547963
>What's wrong, little cleric, don't you have any spells to protect yourself?
>I cast fist.
>>
>>4547948
>Do you even train?”

>literally everybody in all of the multiverse except for the martial artists on earth and one single fucking guy who finds jiren: "Is that some kind of soup?"

>>4547964
Oh my god, Caulifla is literally a

Space Chan is going to be dying of catastrophic sides failure in a few years. The fact she poses like Joseph and Jotoro, and some people know who they are makes it even better.
>>4547967
I mean, it isn't technically wrong, but the lack of effort on everyone's part coupled with the results of someone like Tien who trains religiously, becoming a simple joke. It isn't hard to see why.

To be fair, the Saiyans of Universe 7 (besides Caulifla and Kale) implied they trained. Or at least Cabba did.
Sidenote, I sure as shit hope GD rewrites how Caulifla and Kale managed to transform.
That shit with the lower back is the dumbest shit I've ever heard and only serves to shit on one of the best moments in the franchise.

Tien got treated like shit because Toriyama just hated him. Meanwhile Jiren who was an absolute greylet who looked like he hadn't eaten in his entire life became a giga-unit who could flex against the likes of Broly and not look anemic.

It's horseshit of the highest caliber. Tien got done dirty. I mean shit Tien legit lost muscle mass from his Dragonball days. He shoulders didn't need pads to look huge in the 80's and then after training rigorously for years and years he loses those bad boys? Get the hell outta here.

>>4547967
>The staggering amount of people who think that strength comes simply from being born is absolute lunacy.
Not entirely. But, real life draws interesting comparisons here. Anyone(barring mouse-tier autoimmune diseases) can train and become stronger than 99% of the rest of the species within ten years. But how many people actually take the time and effort, or have the resolve and willpower to actually do it?
>>4547971
Poor humans, one of space’s weakest species. The fact several have become strong enough to fight creatures as powerful as even Zarbon is nothing short of miraculous. Which brings us to another point. All beings can train to become stronger. But each species has it’s own maximum limits it can achieve. >>4547974
>implying we’ll be taking anime filler breaks to explore the other universes while gathering and ready your team
What happens in other universes stays in other universes, unless you directly interact with them.

>>4547971
>coupled with the results of someone like Tien who trains religiously
He trains like a retard and only ever pursued a single avenue of personal enhancement that gets trumped by bullshit Saiyan genetics.
If he had tried to perfect his own innate abilities or try and reach the end goal of Mutaito derivative martial-arts instead of getting into the raw power dick measuring contest dominated by monkeys, he would have done a lot better.

I know, but shrinking techniques can be learned after puberty hits her with a freight train. She needs to Pose with Jojo's to certify her Hamon training.

Ramming your head into the wall the hardest doesn't make it any more effective as a training method.

>Haha! I knew it! 1/2 years ago I asked if Ubo could make use of Hamon (be it using it or just being topped up by someone's) and you said he wouldn't have much use from it did you Retcon that?
I stand by what I said. Hamon, or sunlight energy created by a single mortal utilizing proper breathing, isn’t nearly as powerful as say channeling the power of the very first sun god. Bit of a difference in scale there. Now if Kars hit Ubo with his Hamon, however, that’d be a different story. A “Get this god-eating majin out of my reality” sort of story.
I will say this, Ubo’s pod was SUPPOSED to send him back home. But something went wrong, and he ended up on New Salda.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 144 Epilogue II-

AGE 749, DREADZONE FLEET

“Chilli? Chilli, get up! Chilli?” you hear, the ephemeral voice calling to you in the void of sleep. But despite how much you wish to get up, your body simply won’t respond as the voice grows weaker and weaker until disappearing completely, which is worrying. You are Chilli: Super Saiyan, greatest sorcerer among the entire Saiyan race, son of Karn and Meloka, and younger brother to Dreadzone’s champion Chaya. And after months of grueling war against the insectoid Hive creatures, you were just days away from being back home on New Salda. Earlier you had nearly killed yourself using several different magics in combination to fix Chaya’s Pursuer sword by undoing the months of combat against the Hive and their acidic blood. But now you are paying for the effort, lying flat on the floor where you’d fallen. At least you think so, someone could have moved you. But as you take in your surroundings, something’s off: you’re not on the ship anymore.

You aren’t anywhere anymore, in fact; finding yourself floating alone in an endless void. None of your senses, biological, magical, or your ki senses feel anything in this space. You are alone. For a second or two you worry that your spells killed you, but a few moments checking yourself reveales that you are in fact still alive. Your heart is beating and you feel yourself breathing, so wherever this space is it is meant for living beings to exist here. The only question remaining is, why? And how do you get out, of course. You do still have to get back and go home.

“ALL WHO LIVE, MUST ALSO DIE.” a booming voice rings throughout this world. Which at this being’s voice begins coalescing, transforming into something rather unexpected. What was an endless void almost instantly changes into a stone building, a temple or mausoleum maybe. Stone pillars travel off to your left and right into more temple, disappearing into a hazy grey mist. But what is right before you draws your eye. On the dais before you is a large altar of sorts, dozens upon dozens of large scrolls scattered about it. And sitting behind the altar is a man, old and wizened. He resembles a corpse more than a living being, eyeless sockets gazing down at the scroll while a skeletal hand scratches at a scroll with a pitch-black feather. And as you gaze upon this man, your magical senses are immediately overwhelmed by it’s raw power. Whatever this being is, it has more magical energy coursing through it than a hundred thousand Towas linked together. And suddenly you feel very, very small as it continues telepathically projecting it’s thoughts at you. “WHAT EXISTS, MUST ONE DAY CEASE. WHO ARE YOU, TO DISRUPT THIS ORDER?”

Oh, fantastic. Seems your time magic has this, thing, upset. Well, better go introduce yourself.
>>
>>4549879
“My name is Chilli Son of Karn: slayer of undead, savior of the Crimson Demon clan, the greatest sorcerer amongst the entire Saiyan race, and he who will one day overthrow the Supreme Kai of Time herself!” you declare, stepping forward boldly and doing your best to appear unafraid and unintimidated by this obscenely-powerful being, despite being unarmed and unarmored. “Where am I? And who are you?”

“BY MANY NAMES I AM KNOWN.” the entity responds, blasting your mind with it’s thoughts all the while it’s hand never stops moving. While naming itself, this deity dips the metal tip of the feather over into a skull biting another scroll, and ink black as Dark itself coats the tip as he pulls it free. “THE PITILESS ONE I AM CALLED, THE FINAL SCRIBE BY OTHERS. I AM THE LORD OF THE END OF EVERYTHING, THE SCRIBE OF THE DOOMED, AND THE SENESCHAL OF THE CRYSTAL SPIRE. I AM JERGAL.”
“That’s a lot of titles.” you reply, now just more curious than intimidated. “But where are we? And you said that you’re a scribe, right? But I’ve never heard of you before, what do you record here on all these scrolls?”

“YOUR PHYSIVAL FORM HAS NOT LEFT THE MORTAL REALM.” this Jergal replies, confirming your suspicions that this space you’re in isn’t actually ’real’. Instead it’s more like a psychic projection. This Jergal is not really sitting before you, instead it’s more like an avatar of whoever he really is. “AS FOR MY DUTY, I RECORD THE DEATHS OF ALL THINGS. EACH AND EVERY BEING THAT HAS DIED, FAITHFULLY HAVE I RECORDED THEIR END. DEATH COMES FOR ALL, UNTIL LIFE ITSELF IS NO MORE.”

And for a split second, standing behind the old man you think you see a robed giant wielding a staff with a curved blade attached perpendicularly, but almost as soon as you think you see it the vision disappears, the avatar once more projecting this being’s thoughts into your head.

“TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THREE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FOUR TAKKS AGO, THE WEAPON OF THE ANCIENT PURSUER, HUNTER OF ACCURSED UNDEAD WAS DESTROYED. SO IT WAS WRITTEN. YET EIGHT TAKKS AGO, THIS FATE WAS UNDONE, AND NOW AN ERROR IN THE SCROLLS IS MADE. TELL ME, MORTAL: WHY HAVE YOU DEFIED FATE?”

Now here’s where things get tricky. As some sort of death god, somehow aware of each and every single passing, there’s no doubt in your mind this being will kill you if it doesn’t like your answer. But what kind of answer does it want? Somehow you think an “I’m sorry” won’t cut it, and neither would the excuse you did it to saving your sister. But what could a death god want? It said it’s task wouldn’t be complete until all life has ended, maybe that’s your ticket? Perhaps asking it one last question first will show you the way?

“Before I answer you, I have one more question.” you say, hoping against hope this works. “Do you know my father? Karn, son of Tatsu?”
“I AM FAMILIAR.” the ancient being replies. “MORE THAN FOURTEEN QUARDILLION LIVES HE HAS ENDED. A GREAT BRINGER OF DEATH, YOUR FATHER IS.”
“Perfect!” you think to yourself, ecstatic. This Jergal showed you what to say next to keep your head firmly on your shoulders, and not another inkwell for his writing. So you nod to him once, then address this ancient deity directly and without hesitation.

“The reason I brought back that sword is simple.” you say confidently. “My sister Chaya will be able to kill many more beings with the ancient weapon than without it. She felled a great many Hive creatures with that blade, before their vile blood ruined it.”

“EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY THREE THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE LIVES HAVE BEEN ENDED BY THAT WEAPON WHILE IN HER HANDS. ONE END BEING UNDONE IS A SMALL PITTANCE FOR THAT MUCH DEATH.” Jergal’s avatar projects to you, giving a sensation of it being pleased by your answer. Then the skeletal figure sighs out, surprisingly stopping it’s scratching for a moment as it sets the feather back into the skull. And with an unusual amount of difficulty the avatar reaches down into the desk, slowly producing a worn leather-bound, dusty tome and setting it between you both. It doesn’t immediately address the book, taking up it’s feather once more and writing before Jergal resumes thinking at you. “BUT BEFORE I RETURN YOU TO YOUR WORLD, TWO THINGS I OFFER YOU, CHILLI SON OF KARN. FIRST, IS A WARNING. WHILE THE OTHER GODS AND THEIR SQUABBLES MEAN NOTHING TO ONE SUCH AS I, MANY OF THEM WILL HAVE NOTICED YOUR ACTIONS. SOME WILL STOP AT NOTHING TO DESTROY YOU, OTHERS BEARING GIFTS AND SEEKING TO COURT YOUR FAVOR. BUT KNOW THAT THIS IS A LIE! THEY SEEK YOUR POWER, HOPING TO DELAY THEIR OWN INEVITABLE ENDS. EVEN GODS MUST ONE DAY DIE, AND MANY OF THEM FEAR IT MORE THAN MORTALS DO.”

“The gods fear death?” you wonder aloud. That thought hadn’t seriously entered your mind before, but it makes sense. Watching others pass on makes you want to live more, you can’t imagine what doing that for centuries on end would do. “But what can I do about it? I don’t have the power to stand up to actual gods. At least, not yet.”

“THAT IS MY SECOND OFFERING TO YOU.” Jergal’s avatar projects, meaning the ancient book it produced earlier as it directs your gaze to it. “I OFFER YOU KNOWLEDGE, AND POWER. ANCIENT MAGICS OF DEATH I WILL SHARE. BUT THIS GIFT IS NOT WITHOUT COST. SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS POWER, YOU MUST USE IT TO KILL. SPREAD DEATH AMONGST THOSE WHO SEEK IMMORTALITY, THOSE WHO RAISE THE UNDEAD, AND ABOVE ALL OTHERS: THE GODS WHO HAVE OUTLIVED THEIR TIME YET REFUSE DEATH.”
>>
>>4549883
“THE CYCLE OF LIFE AND DEATH MUST CONTINUE, UNTIL LIFE ITSELF REACHES THE FINAL END.” Jergal’s voice continues. “SO, WHAT SAY YOU, CHILLI SON OF KARN? WILL YOU SPREAD DEATH TO THE UNDYING? WILL YOU BRING DEATH TO THOSE WHO’S TIME HAS COME?”

This is a big decision, and you don’t just immediately accept or refuse. Raven had warned you, back when you’d first declared your intention of overthrowing the Supreme Kai of Time herself that one doesn’t make deals with ancient, powerful beings lightly. And even accepting gifts could be dangerous, as they always come with obligations later. Yet this ancient, corpse-like avatar of Jergal has been nothing but straightforward with you, even warning you of threats to come. But do you dare take up this power? Death itself isn’t to be wielded lightly, and can take you as easily as your enemies. But can you afford NOT to? Sitting right there before you is the equivalent of a magical forge, ready to turn your magic into a god-slaying weapon and spreader of death even to immortal beings. Then another thought comes to mind, and you can’t resist asking first before you decide.

“Before I accept or decline your offer, why me?” you ask the deity’s avatar seriously. “Is it only because of what I just did that you offer this to me, or have you been judging me for longer?”
“YOUR SLAYING OF THE UNDEAD FIRST BROUGHT YOU TO MY ATTENTION.” Jergal replies. “BY YOUR HANDS, THREE MILLION FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND FOUR UNDEAD WERE RETURNED TO THEIR REST. THAT IS THE PRICE I ASK OF YOU FOR THIS POWER: FINISH THAT BATTLE, AND RETURN THE REST OF THOSE UNDEAD TO THEIR RIGHTFUL REST. SO WHAT SAY YOU, CHILLI SON OF KARN? WILL YOU ACCEPT THIS POWER, AND THE BURDEN THAT COMES WITH IT?”

“If I can save Megumin’s people from the undead, and bring death to even the Supreme Kai of Time, then I accept.” you say, stepping forward and placing your left hand atop the book. But as you do an icy chill shoots up into your arm, and within a second you can’t feel anythingpast your elbow. Which isn’t nearly as worrying as the fact that from your elbow down, your arm is only pale white bones. You feel a surge of panic, which manages to somehow double as you can’t pull your hand away. But after a few seconds feeling begins returning to your arm as it slowly returns back to normal. Well, almost normal, as you notice a new bone-white mark on the back of your left hand. A symbol of a skull biting down on a scroll now covers the back of your hand. “What the-?”

“NOW GO FORTH, REAPER CHILLI.” Jergal projects, as the world once more begins dissolving into utter blackness around you. “GO FORTH AND SPREAD DEATH.”

Then suddenly, to your surprise, you’re awake.
>>
>>4549884
Instead of laying on the ground where you’d fallen, you find yourself laying in your bed. Megumin beside you, soring slightly is a source of warmth, but something sitting on your chest seems to be pulling the heat right out of you. Lifting the sheets, you see the magical tome is resting atop your bare chest, ssucking the heat right out of your body and leaving a chill behind like it’s a block of ice while your chest and upper torso appear skeletal. So you slowly lift the book off of you with your left hand, and almost immediately that sensation disappears. Instead once more that feeling of numbness takes over your left forearm, although this time much less so. Your arm still appears skeletal, you crawling out of bed and setting the book on the small desk in the room. Opening it, you see a handwritten inscription to you on the very first page.

Since you have accepted this power, Reaper Chilli, I know that you will continue spreading death throughout the mortal world. Use these spells held within, which only your eyes can read, to end those who defy death’s embrace. And should this tome ever become lost, simply use the invocation below to return it to you. It is now a part of you, unable to be destroyed while you still live. And tell your sister that if she somehow destroys the Pursuer sword again, she’ll have to replace it herself. Good hunting my Reaper, Chilli son of Karn.

Lord of the End of Everything,
Jergal

Beneath this handwritten inscription is a simple invocation, which will allow you to summon this book from anywhere right into your left hand. You read over it a few times, making sure you’ve memorized it, then close the book and take a few steps back and away from it. Following the instructions you raise your left hand, thumb and middle finger ready to snap.

“Death comes for all.” you say, snapping your fingers and pouring a small amount of your magical energy into the mark on your left hand. And as you do the book teleports, instantly appearing in your left hand opened to the same page it was on when you closed it. Once more your entire lower arm goes numb, and still looks just as skeletal.
“Woah.” you hear a shocked from behind, you turning and seeing Megumin looking at you wide-eyed. Not with fear or worry, but her usual excitement. “When did you get a spellbook?”
“It’s, kinda a long story.” you say, closing the book and walking over to her. “Have you ever heard of Jergal?”

Not quite. You didn’t actually die there, as she used her own time magic to freeze you in time long enough to spread out the damage between you, her, and Meloka.

That was fucking nuts, and while Chilli making deals with elder entities scares the shit out of me, The Scribe Of The End is faaaaaaaar from the worst one he could pick given his racial profession.

Though we did almost die trying to go Super Saiyan to show up to Beerus if I remember right. I know there was atleast one time Karn actually saw King Yemma's Station and the Waiting Line of Souls.

I'm pretty sure it was our second duel with Frieza where Karn's heart stopped for a couple seconds.

Karn’s nearly died several times, and would have if his friends hadn’t saved him.
Chilli’s deal is a good one, as far as such matters go. It helps to be chosen by a nearly-retired god, who’s already passed most aspects of his divinity on to others.
>>4550176
You say that as if implying it’s the strongest spell.

Of course not, it's nowhere near the strongest.

Well obviously, I'd have been shocked if Death himself doesn't take a day to follow us around every now and then, at the bare minimum at least leaving a few minor Reapers to hang around us on our slow days. Literally easier to just grab the souls with a trashbag when we go on the battlefield.

When you think about it, aren't Chaya and Chili basically the same as Dante and Vergil?

Chili/Vergil
>calm and refined
>much more technical fighter
>a bit jealous of their siblings for having more raw strength
>edgier powers

>Chaya/Dante
>energetic
>silly and doesn't really take much of the crazy shit that happens around them seriously.
>you know damn well with Chaya's ego if she learned about DMC style taunts she'd absolutely start doing them in her Deadzone matches.

All we need now is a major family tragedy to make them bitter rivals to each other and it'll be perfect.
>>
>>4550687

>Hmmmm, there would have to be a very weird reason that our kids would fight each other

Well for Vergil his whole lust for POWER was the result of never wanting to feel helpless again after he nearly died when Mundus's goons attacked him, which when combined with the fact that he never saw his mother try to get him leading him to assume she loved Dante more, leading to an inferiority complex disguised as a superiority complex.

One thing's for sure, both Karn and Meloka would have to be dead along with anyone else who would be able to be the voice of reason between Chili and Chaya.

Words of truth.
There's a reason I said we'd be at a disadvantage against Dante if we ever fought against him.

I'd wager it's a fair bit simpler than techniques they've already created, as well as just being more direct (which is fitting for Karn)
I also think it'd mesh well with our style as we keep training our Djem-So and deepening our connection to the force.
At least one prominent Sith Lord was capable of doing something similar with lightsabers, so I don't think it's impossible for Karn.
>>
>>4552006
True, but think of it this way, we'd have to take time out of our already full training regiments to learn a gimmick, a very useful gimmick, but still a gimmick. When just focusing on our base abilities improves our ability to synergize our techniques.

And even in a significantly weaker body (Zamasu's), Karn could IT away to...relative safety, at least until Zam kaikai's over to him again.
Well, unless Zamasu planned around that and poisoned his own body beforehand.
>>
>>4552543
He'd be too pussy for it, and too stupid or arrogant to even consider the possibility. Thus, he'd have a day, tops, if he doesn't start running away as soon as he gets our body. Which he won't do, and would inevitably end in him getting his ass reswapped, back, and sent to oblivion.
>>
I'm assuming Zamasu would be going for a Karn timeline where he wasn't an absolute giga-chad and thus hasn't become aware of bodychange shenanigans from Ginyu and isn't surrounded by the ultimate dream team of ultra-lethal killers. Cause if he came to this timeline Karn he'd get assblasted pretty quick with the complete non-hesitation in seeking help from the biggest bruisers in the galaxy with speed.
>>
>>4552558
The obvious solution would have been to go to an earlier point in the timeline and take Karn's body before anybody else was a threat, then spend the years training in secret.
But he's too goddamn arrogant.
>>
>>4552563
Or worse, he just takes one of the Karn clones instead.
>>
>>4552565
And with your last sentence you invalidated the previous statement. Because he would never consider failure until our fist breaks open his lower colon and we use him like a meat puppet.
>>
>>4552436
You forget, in the timeline where Goku got his body snatched he never MET Zamasu before his body was suddenly swapped for the Kais. And before he knew what was happening Black suddenly appeared, and ended Goku and his entire family.
>>4552438
They do enjoy a good slaughter.
>>4552440
Without your body’s power, a Zamasu in a post-U6 tournament Karn body would be a terror.
>>4552447
You’re implying Zamasu wouldn’t change his plans from how he rolled in canon. He made his plan with only one real challenger. With multiple powerful fighters, many of who may have also claimed divine power, his plans could differ.
>>4552563
Oh no, it’s a timeline similar to yours up to this point post-Destroyers tournament. Which is when, thanks to Gowasu seeking views, uploads the tournament so Zamasu sees a mortal dare utilize the power of the gods.

So GD, I've gotta ask...are the base powerlevel gains ever gonna pick up? I mean, we're not even halfway to Goku's base powerlevel during the Cell saga. We're going to be old and gray by the time we even get close to the base powerlevels the Saiyans were packing during the Buu saga, in spite of the fact that, as far as I can tell, we're training basically as hard as they are, and employing similar methods. Future Chaya's somehow managed to hit a billion base. What've we got to do to start seeing results like that? Feels like an impossible goal, with our current rate of progress, if I'm being honest.
>>
>>4552746
>I mean, we're not even halfway to Goku's base powerlevel during the Cell saga
What are you basing that off of?
>We're going to be old and gray by the time we even get close to the base powerlevels the Saiyans were packing during the Buu saga
See my first question.
As for when the gains pick up, remember how it wasn't even that long ago that we thought 1.2 million for our base was pretty damn impressive. Now we're sitting at 34 million and only going higher.
>>
>>4552596
If it wasn’t for him, Zamasu would have never interfered with universe 7.
>>4552602
>>4552621
Ha.
>>4552746
You just reached the Cell-saga tiers in the past in-quest year or two, and are already wanting to jump to those that came from after a seven year timeskip where literally all Goku did with his afterlife was train?

>>4552811
>a seven year timeskip where literally all Goku did with his afterlife was train?
Why is being dead so OP? Stupid ghosts.
>>
>>4552868
>Why is being dead so OP?
Because you can go as hard as you want with zero consequences.
>"Oops, all my bones are shattered and every muscle in my body is worked to complete exhaustion."
>one hour and a meal later
>"Alright, time for another 1,000 hour training session!"
Combine that with the fact that dead warriors only use roughly half the energy they did while they were alive and don't age.
The only things they could do better is having additional planetoids with higher gravity.
>>
>>4552868
Not needing sleep, or even really rest allows one to rack up serious gains in a limited time. Plus it’s not like he could do anything else while dead.
>>4552878
And don’t forget, they lose all mortal sense of urgency and can focus on perfect execution every single time. As anime Goku noticed, both Pikkon and Olibu’s technique were actually flawless. In his own estimation it would take a thousand years to reach their level of martial arts mastery. And if you’re a kai-favored, getting extra weight to train under is as simple as a spoken word.

>And don’t forget, they lose all mortal sense of urgency and can focus on perfect execution every single time
You have to wonder why Whis never took any dead warriors under him given that tidbit.
It'd save him the trouble of ever having to wake up Beerus to deal with a problem, thus maximizing his free time.
>>
>>4553359
Because mortals don’t particularly interest him, especially dead ones. Only Destroyer candidates, and to a greater extent excellent cooks interest him. And on a more-meta level, angels’ ability to influence, and even interact with the mortal world are limited by rules. Which have an erasure penalty

QM UPDATE

With the third and final epilogue for this one in the works, I’m going to give a small spoiler out here now. Simply because I’m curious how each of your different perspectives of who Karn is may differ from my own. Here it is, spoiler time:

Chilli, as a fully realized wizard decades from now will actually SEE Karn in this one using his Third Eye. Which, for those unfamiliar with this particular power works as follows: Using it strips away any and all illusions and preconceptions, and shows the true metaphysical aspects of anything and anyone. A man haunted by the death of his lifelong lover will show it as painfully gaping, bleeding wounds covering them, while a monster who enjoys murder will be seemingly covered in the blood of their many victims. So what, or rather WHO do you think Karn truly is?
>>

A man who shoulders the weight of his entire race, and is willing to slaughter countless others to protect them. A man who restrains a near-constant rage of such intensity that lesser men would be in a mindless rage if they experienced it. A man who struggles against his own perceived weakness in comparison to his greatest enemies, and constantly strives to improve himself to stop them once and for all.
Oh, and someone who loves to crack open a cold one with the boys.

>A man who shoulders the weight of his entire race
Yeah, pretty much. When you consider that when Karn survived in this timeline, the work that he put in resulted in the Saiyan race having a home planet and more than just a handful of members, I wouldn't be surprised if Chilli sees pic related but with New Salda on his back.
Or is that too grandiose when compared to how Karn perceives the world and his duty?
>>
>>4554896
Well yes but actually no.
>>4554905
Karn is shouldering a great many burdens, yet no matter what keeps moving forward.
>>4554921
Remember it’s not about what Karn thinks, but the universal truth of the world.
>>
>>4555179
Which world? Cause new salda loves us.
>>
>>4555369
He gets to see Karn in new-Salda vision, basically a naked Karn being on fire whilst shooting magma out of his nether regions.
Poor Chili didn’t sleep for several days after seeing that.
>>
>>4555548
My mans Karn is going to look like a candle in a bloodstorm. He's done a little heroic stuff saving his people but he's killed so many things that he'll never be away to wash away the stench of their corpses. Karn is bad guy. Even if he may not be bad guy.
>>
>>4555369
I’m using the world in the grandest sense. As in Chilli Sees how his dad truly is, not how himself or others perceive him to be.
>>4555548
Why would you decide to think this up, and then type it?
>>4555599
Reminds me of a classic movie quote: “You fuckin’ people. You have no idea how to defend a nation.” The ones keeping everyone else safe often have the bloodiest hands.

>“You fuckin’ people. You have no idea how to defend a nation.”
I get the intent of the quote, but that doesn't really separate it from that character's self-important rant. Especially when he was selling out two of his own for carrying out a botched hazing he authorized.
>>
>>4556030
I’m not saying -he- was in the right, but that standalone quote itself speaks volumes. Especially as I’ve grown older. Most people take their freedoms for granted, not knowing what the price for it is as they aren’t the ones who pay it. And that price is the lives of those standing between them and the ever-presenr chaos waiting to consume everything. Those who spend years staring into the abyss are often ruined by it, after all virtually no bright-eyed cop straight out of the academy starts out corrupt. Which, when you think about it the darker parts of simple human nature is the Abyss.
>>
>>4556042
I'd say I agree with the quote but at the end of the day he swore himself accountable to the UCMJ. Regardless of what his intent was with his actions he should've known he'd get strung up if he was found out. The real despicable thing was that he was gonna just let two men under his command take the rap. If I recall the plot of the movie correctly.
>>
>>4556046
That’s what I’m saying. That guy wasn’t always like this, but his years and years of staring into the abyss made them “acceptable casualties” to keep himself where he was. Which is why anyone saying something like “for the greater good” usually means their own good, and not the good of all.
>>
>>4556048
It looks like we're in general agreement. Moving on I'd say that the separation between good men and great men is the ability or resolve to retain their idealism after staring into the Abyss. at least in some capacity.
>>
>>4556054
Which I’m extremely hyped for this epilogue. This epilogue Karn is post even more trauma than current Karn, yet still retains what makes him him. And I have thoroughly enjoyed writing Karn on a more metaphysical level.

Team for Tournament of Power :
First three spots are allowed to have a free entrance without needing to prove themselves in a fight:
>Spot 1 = Caulifa (many unusual and unique abilities).
>Spot 2 = Guldo (Time stop).
>Spot 3 = Ginyu (Body Swap ability).
Everyone else is going to need to compete in some tournament to earn their place.
This gives 7 spots for the best of the best.

Now I'm sure it is 99% certain that among those we will find:
>Karn
>Meloka
>Freeza
>Vegeta (If he decides to enter, I hope he will)
I'm okay with this result.

This still leaves 3 more undecided places. Now who will it be?
When it comes to this I am willing to let anyone who will prove themselves to be strong enough to enter.

Will it be Ubo? Will it be one of Karn's children? Will it be Boros? Will one of the Zoldycks decide to actually do something?
I don't want to block anyone really talented just because we don't know them personally or we did not notice how good they are. So this is why this "Qualification Tournament" must happen. This is a chance for those who are among the best, but we might have overlooked them.

I also really, really, really like the idea of our Karn taking personally part in the Qualification Tournament instead of just sitting on the audience.
This is best "warm up" and final preparation before the true Tournament of Power.

Kars
>Born mortal, now immortal
>Apprentice to Kaiōshin
>Has God Ki
> Stand「The World」
>Time Stop ability
>Can morph real wings that would allow him to fly despite the "no flying rule".

If he was punched out off the stage and falling down into void, all he had to do was:
>Time stop
>Morph wings
>Fly back to the stage
>Resume time flow in safe place
It would be impossible to eliminate him by ring out. Only after beating him unconscious it would be doable.

Unless the rules prevented him from entering I would like to see him truly make his 100% effort in helping the Team save Universe 7 from erasure.
I know he is close to Kais through Shin, but if they let Toppo in, then disallowing Kars to participate seems unfair for Universe 7.

It's a great deal in terms of power right now and in the future too that's for sure.

Though there seems to be a darker aspect to it.
>Darth Bane is among those who rejected death.
>Karn potentially extending his lifespan or getting some form of immortality (even just using Force Drain).
>Megumin magically delaying her death and lengthening her youth.
>Caulifa resurrecting herself with Triumph.
>Karn using Divine Dragon Force's wish to bring Meloka back to life.
All of this is rejection of one's "natural, fated" end.
Under Chilli's new obligations all of them need to be put down back among the dead.

I don't think Chilli fully gets what he might need to do due to his new responsibilities.
As Jergal stated the ultimate goal is "... DEATH MUST CONTINUE, UNTIL LIFE ITSELF REACHES THE FINAL END. "
Beside immense power he received, it seems Chilli made a bad deal in the long term.

There may be rules about body swapping, as far as the tournament goes. But that may all depend on Future Chilli’s actions...
Anyway solid team. But I don’t like the idea of potential upcomers getting squashed by a universal giant like Karn or Freeza.
>>4556726
Toppo was allowed for one simple reason: he hadn’t fully accepted the role of Destroyer yet. That power he used was, judging from the source(s) material to have been part of Belmond’s Destroyer power. Like Ganondorf gave to dog boy for assassinating Freeza, but far greater. Also, that’s assuming he won’t have done away with Shin in the next few decades. Really, his path will come down to how Majin Buu is handled. So enjoy that small spoiler.
>>4556734
When Chilli meets you again, and sees the holocron(s), he may be conflicted by his newfound knowledge.
Triumph doesn’t violate that rule, think of Caulifla as a boss with a full second health bar.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 144 Epilogue III-

AGE 771, ALTERNATE TIMELINE NEW SALDA

“Come on you two, you can do much better than that!” Karn taunts, your old man sparring with Chaya’s two oldest children. And despite both being well into their teens, and in their golden Super Saiyan forms, they can’t even lay a hand on him. You are Chilli: slayer of the undead, Chief of the Crimson Demons, husband of Archmage Megumin, and the strongest Reaper in all of Universe 7. You’re currently back home taking a holiday from the Crimson Demons and spending time with your side of the family. And, of course, you didn’t come alone. While Chaya’s oldest boys try their best to hit their grandpa, your wife Megumin is showing your newborn son to Caulifla and Kayle.

“Aww, he’s so cute.” Kayle says, your wife letting her hold little Kazuburo as your sisters dote on him. As they talk a familiar form materializes beside you, that of New Salda’s Guardian, Raven.
“Greetings, Chilli. It has been too long since we’ve met face-to-face.” she says, pulling the pure white robe’s hood down and revealing her face. “I take it that, since you’re here everything went well back home, Chief Chilli?”
“C’mon Raven, no matter how much I like living there with her, or I guess my family, this will always be my home.” you tell her seriously, cracking a small smile as your old man catches a foot and swings the kid around into the other and smashing them both gently to the ground. “Besides. As fun as it is being the strongest on the planet, seeing just how much stronger I have to get always gets me inspired. Even now, I don’t think I could take him in a fair fight.”
“Why don’t we find out?” she asks teasingly, and before you can object she shouts. “Hey, Karn! Chilli said he’ll go a round!”

“Well, about time!” he calls out, helping the two kids up before turning to face you. “Just because the universe has been pretty quiet these last couple years doesn’t mean you should skimp out on your training. Let me see just how hard you’ve been working!”
“Dammit Ray.” you mutter, Raven simply smirking as you step forward and addrsss your old man. “Well, looks like I got volunteered. Guess it’s too late to back down now.”
“The fights that choose you are the ones that matter.” he says, taking the altered fighting stance he’s adopted since his training with Beerus’s attendant, Whis. “Show me what you can do.”

You walk forward and take your own fighting stance a dozen or feet across from him, everyone nearby clearing out a much wider area. And before either of you move, a shimmering red dome of energy encompasses the clearing around you both. You and Karn both glance over, seeing your mother the Super Saiyan Goddess casually holding the shield up.
>>
>>4556947
“If you two are gonna do this, I’m not letting it get out of hand.” she says to you, but mostly your dad. “You two have fun, and don’t go too crazy now, hear me?”
“Yes ma’am.” you say, as Karn chuckles.
“I’m not gonna go ultra or anything.” he says, then turns to you with a gleam in his eye. “Unless our boy can push me that far.”

You know exactly what that means, having seen your dad unleash a power unlike anything you’d ever seen before against Universe Six’s assassin, Hit. After Meloka’s Blue form wasn’t enough to stop him, your dad fought the assassin. And just before the end of the battle, your dad reached a whole nusew state of being: Ultra Instinct. While in that state his energy was oddly, frighteningly calm. And his movements were so jarringly fluid you couldn’t even tell when he was moving until well after it happened. At that point even Hit couldn’t touch him, not with his Time Skip, dimension-hopping, or anything else the assassin had in his bag of tricks. As a last-ditch effort Hit went for some sort of a sniping killing blow, but was knocked out of the ring regardless.

“I’m not planning on going that far.” you say, taking your own stance and fighting every instinct you have to summon your spellbook like you have for the past several years when someone from the Crimson Demons tries to claim your title by beating you in a duel. “But I’ll show you what I can do.”
“Ohhoho, that young Reaper over there is challenging Karn, Lord Beerus.” Whis says, you actually seeing the Destroyer God sit up at this out of the corner of your eye. As if you didn’t have enough pressure on you already! “This could be interesting, don’t you think?”
“Bah, it won’t be that good a show.” Beerus says, but he’s sitting at attention. Great.

“You want to start this off, or you want me to?” you ask, already knowing what he’ll pick. And sure enough he gestures for you to come at him, as his body and expression relaxes. For a second you feel a spike of terror in your heart, knowing just how dangerous your old man is, but that goes away as swiftly as it comes. He may be a terror across the universe, but he’s also still your dad. Through everything that’s happened, he’s still the same man you’ve known and respected. And there’s no way in hell you’ll disappoint him! “Alright! Here I come!”

Pushing off with your back foot, you launch yourself at Karn and close the distance in the blink of an eye. Swinging with your right fist he easily swats your punch aside with his left forearm, then fires a right of his own. Instead of taking the punch square on the nose you flip forward over his arm and twist to deliver a powerful spinning kick at his head. But Karn is ready, twisting his upper body and blocking the kick with his right forearm.

BOOM
>>
>>4556949
The first solid impact of this sparring match kicks up a powerful shockwave, shattering the ground beneath you. Fortunately Meloka’s barrier stips the shockwaves from traveling outside the enclosed area, else everyone physically weaker than Chaya’s oldest two would have been blasted away.

“You’ve gotten faster since last time we fought.” Karn says, shoving your leg away and blocking your right kick with his left forearm. As he does this he punches, and despite his fist being well out of range, the shockwave from his fist isn’t. Knowing about this move you’re already blocking, the compressed air slamming into your crossed forearms and launching you backwards. “But not fast enough.”
“Tch!” you exhale, stopping your unwanted retreat a foot or so before you could crash back-first into your mother’s shield. Despite not actually hitting you, the force behind his punch was surprisingly powerful. If you weren’t on guard for it, that attack could have done some real damage. “So that’s how we’re gonna play, huh? Alright then, let’s go.”

And as you say this you throw your cloak off dramatically, it returning to form as if still around you as it slowly flies back out of the spherical, crimson shield. You begin gathering your magical energies, bringing your right hand to the left side of your face and striking a dramatic, Crimson Demon-worthy pose to show off a bit for the kids watching.

“As the greatest Saiyan archwizard of all time, and chieftan of the Crimson Demons, I won’t lose!” you say, frost sprouting on your body as blue flames leap up from the growing ice. “Combo magic: Investiture of Coldfire.”
“Coldfire?” he asks, tilting his head a bit in confusion. “You think that old trick will be enough to stop me?”
“See for yourself.” you say, pointing your left hand and unleashing a cone of the freezing flames towards him. Your dad’s no moron, flipping aside and firing another long range punch at your left side while dodging the attack. The shockwave crashes into the ice shielding your body under your left arm, it dulling the impact but his attack nearly steals your breath. “Tch! HAAAAAAA!!”

Pulling your frozen right hand from your face you spin with a roar, slinging a large arc of blue flames at your old man. He lands in a slide, narrowly dodging your attack as the flames pass harmlessly above him. The moment your attack clears him he leaps, punching towards your face. You meet his right fist with your left, the layer of ice covering you shattering from the impact. But only for a moment, as frost immediately begins growing over you again. And now, over Karn’s right hand too. His eyes widen in surprise as the magical ice begins growing over his own hand, his skin visibly burning under the ice.
>>
>>4556950
“What the-?!” Karn says, clearly surprised by the burning chill of your Coldflame magic. Within a second he raises his other hand, smashing it down on his frozen one. The impact shatters the ice long enough for him to leap back, examining his burnt hand curiously. “Your magic’s gotten stronger too. That one actually hurt.”
“Heh heh, this is only a taste of my magical prowess.” you reply, feeling a little more confident than before as you let the Coldfire aura fade. “I figured out Coldfire as a kid, but I’ve figured out quite a lot more since then.”

“Then let’s see just how much stronger you’ve-huh?” Karn says, as unfamiliar yet unmistakably divine magical energy surges around him.
“STOP!” you shout while slapping your right hand on the ground and unleashing one of the sealed spells on your right arm. And as you do the magic surges forth, stopping time completely. Whatever this magic is, you’ve never felt anything quite this powerful before. And what’s more alarming is someone’s using that much power to target Karn! There’s no way you’ll let whatever that attack is land! And as time stops you take a deep breath: time to go to work.

“First I need to figure out what’s coming, and then how it’s coming after him.” you mutter, closing your two eyes and opening your third. The Third Eye is, in essence, magical true sight. It sees that which is unseen, and reveals the true nature of the world around you. Which is an experience unlike any other. Yet what is truly seen in this way cannot ever be forgotten, and Seeing the wrong entity could drive one insane, like that time you-

And as soon as you have that thought, bringing the terrifying creature you’d Seen back to the forefront of your mind, waves of agony course through your consciousness at the sheer wrongness of it. After several seconds you manage to push that memory back down with a shudder, and focus on the present as you look towards your father. As always you see him on a metaphysical level, showing not simply his body but who he truly is. Using the Third Eye is a surreal experience, you can look at someone and see their past and present, potential futures and who they are, and more importantly what they are, all at the same time. Trying to apply real world logic and spacial limits to what the Sight reveals is a fool’s errand.

Your father appears to the Third Eye as he always has for you, an even more awe-inspiring figure than you’d first thought. Standing atop an impossible pile of corpses, your father is carrying the hopes and dreames of an entire world on his shoulders. And that world is New Salda. You can feel the weight of those lives, every single one placing all their faith in your father’s power. Which is split into the two different swords he wields: in his left one of wild green fire, filled with all his Berserker rage, anger, and pain honed into a weapon capable of crushing those who oppose him. But in his right hand is a crystalline sword filled with his decades of discipline and training, all his hard work sharpened into a blade capable of cutting down any foe. Yet despite both his wrath and his discipline sharpened into unstoppable weapons of destruction he’s covered in injuries old and new, his body seemingly more scar tissue than skin. These repeated and traumatic injuries wrap around your father like a suit of heavy armor, shielding him against the storm of an uncaring universe relentlessly trying to grind everything he defends to dust. Yet inside that armor you see him laying in bed, your brothers and sisters all piled around together peacefully as a family. And it’s this core dream that keeps him pushing through every hell that steps up to hurt his family.

But you are already very familiar with how he appears to your Sight, so you instead turn your focus towards the incoming magic. And as you see it’s true form, your jaw drops. This isn’t the work of an enemy wizard, or even a vengeful deity: This is the work of true power. As you see the magic it takes the form of a golden dragon. This golden, divine being’s unstoppable power is on such a scale you can’t even begin to comprehend it, this being’s true size able to eat an entire galaxy without even noticing it happened. This being has the power to completely reshape all the universe in whatever image it so desires, and seeing a simple glimpse of it’s awesome power at work is enough to drop you to your knees. And as you gaze upon this being’s tiniest exertion of effort, weeping at the sight of such unstoppable power, somehow the impossible happens: it notices you!

“Treva yht ezag.” a completely alien voice rings out around you, catching you by complete surprise as this being actually closes your third eye somehow against your will. How the hell can something of this scale even notice you?! “A lateom dnim tonnac dneherpmoc tahe I ma. Won, ohw era uoy ot erefretni? Eht haiw sag neeb edam, won I tsum dne ruoy stroffe ot pots ti.”
>>

And as it finishes speaking, whatever it saying making no sense to your mind whatsoever, this incomprehensibly powerful deity simply ends your time magic. It didn’t fight your spell, or counter your magic wirh it’s own, but just by speaking your spell was ended and you had no say in the matter. You haven’t felt this helpless in decades, watching on powerless as time resumes and that magic envelopes your father. He vanishes in a flash of blinding golden light as Meloka’s barrier disappears, and as the light clears you can’t believe what you’re seeing. Your father is gone, replaced by a green-skinned Kai.

“W-what?” the Kai says, looking down at his hands. “I’m green? And why the hell is everything suddenly so damn heavy?”
“Wait, dad?!” you ask, surprised as your father’s voice comes from this creature’s body. But sure enough it’s him, you reaching out and sensing that it truly is him. But this body’s energy is absolutely pathetic, your father less than a thousanth of the strength he possessed just moments ago.
“Karn, what’s going on?” your mother asks, you turning and seeing she’s also been transformed. What’s worse, their bodies now both seem to be exactly identical. “Chilli, Raven, do either of you have any ideas what’s happening?”

“Whis.” Beerus says, the Destroyer god surprisingly already on his feet.
“Already on it, my lord.” Whis says, using his staff to scan the universe. “Let’s see, oh! Someone used those, Lord Beerus. And it wasn’t your brother.”
“Let’s go.” the Destroyer says, laying a hand gently on the angel’s shoulder.
“Wait, go where?” you ask, stepping towards him. “What the hell’s going on?”
“I think I recognize that Kai.” Beerus says impatiently. “So Whis and I are going to his master, to find out the meaning of all this. Whis?”
“Farewell.” the angel says, tapping his staff onto the ground twice and in a flash he and Beerus both vanish. Damn gods, never doing anything useful. Like what the hell just happened.
“Granpa?” one of Caulifla’s little girls asks, taking a hesitating step towards Karn. “Issat you?”
“It’s still me kiddo.” he says, taking a knee and holding out his hands. “I dunno what’s goin’ on, but I’m still me.”
What’s going on, is the divine punishment for your heresy, Saiyans.” two identical voices speak menacingly, everyone turning towards the two massive powerlevels that suddenly appeared. And wearing the clothing of the Kais are Karn and Meloka’s bodies, both radiating with malicious intent. “And your blasphemous vessels shall be the very instruments that end your kindms existence. Then Zamasu alone shall rule, the one true, eternal god!”
>>
>>4556955
In response to the body snatchers’ proclamation, more than twenty Super Saiyans all transform as one, you among the first of them.

“Give. Their. Bodies. Back.” Chaya snarls, sparks crackling around your older sister’s Primal Saiyan form. “Now.”
“Or what, ningen?” they both ask, simultaneously raising their opposing arms and noth tossing up a small ki blast. They strike together, red and blue merging into a powerful purple ball of destruction. “You and your people will perish!”
“Like hell!” Chaya shouts, and in a blink closes the distance between her and the sphere, kicking it straight out of New Salda’s space then turning down towards the two thieves and gathering her own ki for a retaliatory strike.

“Perish.” they both say, raising their hands towards her. And that’s all you need to stop this, right now.
“STOP!!” you shout, again activating one of your sealed spells to stop time. Reality grinds to a halt around you, everyone else stopping in their tracks. Everyone except for the body snatchers, which catches you by complete surprise. Again. Why can’t you ever have a family reunion without absolute chaos breaking out?
“Oh? A mortal dares manipulate the flow of time?” the one who stole Karn’s body says, turning fully towards you. “This sacrilege cannot stand!”
“How are you able to move?” you ask, the one who stole your mother’s body turning to you with an evil smirk that doesn’t fit her face. “I froze time, you both should be frozen in it as well.”
“A god subject to a mortal’s whims is no god at all.” the Zamasu say, the one in your mother’s body stepping forward and drawing a pinkish ki blade. “I’ll handle this one, why don’t you take advantage of this opening?”
“Wait what?” you say, then before you can act the Zamasu in your father’s body dashes to Chaya, stabbing her through the chest with a ki blade. “NOOOOOO!!”

“Hmph, how fitting.” the one in your mother’s body says, as you watch Zamasu tear his blade free of your older sister. At this sight your reason goes out the door, and with a soul-wrenching scream forsake your mortal form. Your flesh is incinerated in the transformation, you taking on the full power of your Soul Release. Your body is replaced by magical energies, transforming you into a being seemingly made of a starry night’s sky. And as your power swells, you take on the form of a fully-realized Archon. These bastards stole your parents’ bodies, and are trying to kill your family at your back. And no matter what it takes, you will NOT let them pass!

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 144 Epilogue III End-

Huh, so they'd bodyjack Karn and Meloka, then cripple karn with another timeline hop using the Super Dragon Balls. Surprised they didn't just wish he was dead.

Also neat to see what Karn looks like under the Third Sight but for a moment there when I opened that spoiler pic before I finished reading I thought Super Shenron was what Karn looked like in the Eye.
>>
>>4556957
Wow, this is the first time I've genuinely gotten pissed off at the antagonist in a while.
I can only hope Zamasu lives up to the hype.
>>
great epilogue
>>
>>4556965
You know how Zamasu is. First is steal the body, and kill off that Karn. Then to another timeline and conquer that one as well.
Ha. I don’t have an art piece for that. Yet.
>>4556981
Zamasu’s certainly good for that. Hell, go back to the actual arc and see how nasty he was. Just stop watching at Vegito’s Final Kamehameha, or Trunks’ Ningen sword bisection as the ending is ass.
>>4556982
I’m glad you liked it, I really enjoyed writing this one. This is about how far out I try and construct our future arcs, but this one I got to really go in on and expand it from my notes version.
>>
>>4556988
>Hell, go back to the actual arc and see how nasty he was
I mean I vehemently disliked Zamasu in canon because he was a piece of shit.
But here he's snatching the bodies of characters I actually care about and casually murdering more.
That's our little girl he just stabbed to death.
>>
>>4556995
I meant nasty in how efficient he was, in spite of himself. And don’t forget, in DBS canon alore there is more than one timeline where he flat-out won. Before Trunks’ now-erased timeline.
>>
>>4556957
>One zamasu in karn's body, the other in meloka's body
You're playing a dangerous game, Zamasu. The lust those two bodies feel for each other is more powerful than you could possibly comprehend.
One wrong move and you'll end up having a kid with a REALLY weird origin story.

Zamasu is so evil.

Stealing 2 best Saiyan bodies is certainly a powerful gain, but does this leaves him without his ultimate emergency plan?
Using Potara to fuse:
>body of immortal Kai Zamasu
>body of Goku Black
Resulted in permanent Fused Zamasu.

Fusing with Potara:
> Saiyan body of a Meloka
> Saiyan body of a Karn
This will still be just 2 mortal bodies fusing. This would be similar to Vegito and it would defuse after a while. Or are the god spirits of those 2 Zamasus inhabiting those mortal bodies enough to make it permanent?
>>
>>4556871
What if Jergal got offended by this and send a Death Reaper after Chilli with simple mission.
>End his life.
Even if Chilli managed to defend himself, he would send a reaper again, and again. Maybe after few failures he would send multiple reapers.
>Chilli would be hunted for the rest of his life.
Annoyed Jergal could probably do a lot of bad things.
>>
>>4557534
They just have to make it a three-way with a third, immortal zamasu.
>>
>>4556734
You have to realize that Karn, Meloka, and Caulifla all kill untold numbers of sentients across the galaxy and will continue to do so for some time.
I'm sure Jergal just looks the other way in their specific cases simply because of the amount of work he gets as a result of their actions.

>Meloka Black and Karn Black perform a Fusion Dance.
Their fusion creates body of "Melokarn"
>"Melokarn" puts on Potara
>Third, immortal green Kai Zamasu puts on Potara
This forces a permanent Potara fusion, creating Fused Zamasu made out of three Zamasus. Abnormal, one could even call this an aberration , as this probably goes very hard against what those earrings were made for, but seems like it's doable.

Then again Zamasu after stealing someone's body, would not care for any standards.
I wonder if this triple Zamasu besides greater power would also have higher propensity for getting really insane.
>>4557566
Yeah. You are right, this seems like he could do it too. He has all the time in the world.
>>
>>4557408
Ha.
>>4557513
Thanks, awesome gif. Saved.
>>4557534
Yes he is. And you’re crazy if you’re assuming this Zamasu isn’t much bigger brain. You’d either have to have a real plan in place, or be fucking mad to show up as they did.
>>4557560
>Annoyed Jergal could probably do a lot of bad things.
Yes. Like reclaim parts of his old power, and return to his original strength.
>>4557566
Not even that, mortal lifespans are less than a blink to one such as he, who has been around in your timeline longer than Chronoa’s been the Supreme Kai of Time. And by age 850 she’d have been in her position for more than 75 million years.
>>4557583
Zamasu has many tricks
>>
>>4557592
>Yes. Like reclaim parts of his old power, and return to his original strength.
I'm not sure the 3 gods he passed his portfolio off to would even fight him if he wished to retake his former grandeur.
Man, Prime Jergal would be a sight to see.
>>
>>4557596
At least one would. But if Jergal reclaimed all aspects of that power, he’d be on par with one of the Four again.
>>
QM UPDATE

I just want to make a point extremely clear to everyone, and make my opinion known. If anyone wants to commission pieces of art featuring this quest’s characters, go for it. All I as is that you keep the under-18 characters away from any R-rated commissions. Also, seriously to those who can at least draw, I’m looking to commission at least headshots of most of the non”canon” characters
>>
>>4558017
I’ve personally been tossing around the idea of commissioning a piece of the entire Karn Clan in the style of pic related
>>
>>4558021
Oh hell yeah, that would be amazing. But if you do, I’d recommend waiting until after this arc finishes and the kids can age up a little bit.
>>
>>4558021
Man Bardock and Grandpa Gohan would get on like water and oil but they'd love every second of it.

So I've been looking up on kyber crystals for reasons and I gotta ask: did the jedi make their lightsabers with soulstones, or did they make due with bloodstones/something else? Because the closest thing to our situation that I can find (for now) are the Meetra suik crystals(pic related)

Blessed be this Freeza day, and great news, I got the flagging job, and get paid next week. I get a company vehicle by February if I can last long enough to get the vehicle training test....still getting fucked by the police covering my for neighbor stealing my check, but silver linings.

QM UPDATE

Good and bad news. Good news is pic related, got two hogs hung and split. But the bad news is I won’t be able to get started on 145 until around 3pm, three hours later than usual. But we WILL have this episode tomorrow.

>>4558713
It’s gonna be a good one
>>4558823
>>4558826
Congrats anon, getting paid is always good
>>
>>4558936
Especially when all I do is stand around for $12 an hour, easiest job I ever got. Anything else would mean hard labor, and both my shoulders and lower back are too fucked now. Even just standing in the cold is making them ache. But it is the best paid for the effort I'm able to put in, and better all around then retail paychecks.
>>
>>4558936
Also that's find GD, food is more important.
>>
>>4558936
Yo the third one in the back still has its fuzzy blue ass skin on.
>>
>>4558948
Nice
>>4558949
Especially with this year. Have two full freezers, this’ll fill up the third. If there’s ANY takeaway from this year, it’s be prepared.
>>4559059
Ha.
>>
>>4559065
Wish I could, but right now I'm just trying to get a vehicle that isn't a day from breaking down scrap heap.
>>
>>4559068
Oh boy do I feel that one. Got the estimate, looking right at $1800 for repairing mine(if it bent every one of the 16 valves). It was in fact the timing belt that went out in it.
>>
Not to make light of y'alls car troubles but it makes me glad I live on base.
>>
>>4558936
Damn, not gonna lie I'd buy a hog off you guys. Shit's making me hungry.
>>
>>4559088
Shit, last car I bought that price was the down payment. Wasted a total of $5000+ just to get them to take it back. 3 months I owned it, and it only drove for 3 and a half weeks.
>>
>>4559137
Nothing wrong with having less problems
>>4559362
It’s good
