Once upon a time, there was a young girl. This young girl lived a happy life with her loving mother and hardworking father. She loved both of her parents very much.

One day, there came news of a crisis sweeping the nation. A "depression" is what the young girl's father called the situation. Of course, the poor little girl wasn't aware of what a "depression" was, so she cared very little about it; so long as she could spend more happy days with her loving parents, she would be happy...of course, as most would have guessed, that is not how things played out.

The girl's parents began fighting. The fights eventually became daily occurrences, which the little girl had to get used to. One cold, gray winter day, the girl came home from school...the house was cold, and felt very empty. She called out for her mother, who was generally home at this hour, but got no response. Instead, she heard her father call out to her from her parents' room. The girl did not think about how strange it was for her father to be home at this hour, and rushed over to the room........

Your eyes shoot open, only to be stung by the strange liquid that your body seems to be suspended in. Where the hell are you?...wait a minute, how the hell are you breathing? You realize that you seem to be suspended in some sort of tank filled with a strange liquid, your mouth and nose are covered by a breathing device...though you aren't sure how you got here...or where you are...or where "here" even is.

You push your face up against the glass (at least as close as your respirator will allow), trying to get a better look outside. You can only make out a few flashing lights, and a...pale humanoid shape which vanishes the second you start to try to make it out. The second the figure disappears, the glass that you've been leaning up against shatters, sending you careening forward and tearing the device off of your face.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Mbn5GRYoRw

It's a miracle that you landed without cutting yourself on any shards of glass, and you make sure not to end up with any shards inside of you as you stand up and collect yourself. The room that contains the remains of your tank is dusty, seems as though you had been left inside of that tank for quite a while...

You stumble out of the room, getting used to your weakened form, to find that the connecting room is in an even worse state of disrepair. Everything is covered in a layer of dust, and many of the machines have fallen apart over time. You notice a soft glow, similar to the one that your tank had been giving off, coming from another room, as well as an elevator, and a door to a room marked "PORTAL."

Stumbling over to the glowing room, you notice a framed photo of an older man with a mustache on the wall...he looks like an asshole.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwXR2qhtNbw

You finally make it to the room to find a large wall covered in tanks. You can't really make out the insides of most of the tanks, though you can see some whose inhabitants are nothing but shriveled corpses, due to the liquid inside leaking out from cracks. A voice in your head suddenly speaks up, it sounds like a young girl.

"Go to the terminal. Only two of these tanks house living souls, and you will be the one to decide which ones they are."

Your attention is then drawn to a nearby terminal, which seems to be one of the few working pieces of machinery in the facility. Upon approaching the machine, several choices are displayed on screen, seems as though you can save at least two of these:

You pick both DAVID and JAMES, hoping that these two are still alive. Two of the tanks begin to descend, and both open up upon landing in front of you...

Seems as though "David" is still relatively with it.

You decide to tell David what you know thus far, including the thing about the nightmare, and the couple of supernatural experiences that you've had so far.

"Hrn...strange. I wonder if that ghost had something to do with why you woke up."

You mention that it could be likely, all things considered.

"So, that ghost told you that two of the people in these things are alive, right? Might as well open another one."

David(?) then wanders over to the terminal and begins inspecting it. He seems pretty nonchalant about the situation, maybe there's something to that. Though, perhaps you should open another tank first.

You try the other two names listed, and two more tanks come down...

The one marked "FRAN" housed another corpse, though this one seems significantly more intact than the last one. A tall, red-haired woman steps out of the other tank, coughing out tank juices. As she exits, the liquid on her body seems to be blown off of her as if by magic. After collecting herself, she gives the two of you a deadpan stare.

The woman glares at you as you introduce yourself, though she stays silent while you do. Unfortunately, you can't seem to remember much about yourself; you simply tell her what you think your name is, and that you randomly found yourself in this strange lab. You look over at "David" expectantly, as if to tell him that it's his turn next. He sighs and scratches the back of his head.

"The name's Snake...I'm uh...well...hrnng...., I'm not sure what the hell I am. My memory's kind of foggy right now. I can barely remember anything about where I'm from or what I do."

The woman rolls her eyes.

"Good enough, I guess. I'm Jill, now let's get out of here."

And with that, she pushes past the two of you, almost knocking you over. Snake catches you as you stumble.

"You all right, kid?"

You nod as you steady yourself.

"Great, let's get going then. I'm not a fan of that woman's attitude, but I can tell that she's probably pretty strong, so sticking around her might not be a bad idea."

You nod, and the two of you hurry back to the previous room. As you leave, you hear what sounds like a groan of some sort, but looking back reveals nothing, so you hurry along. Jill seems to be checking out some of the equipment, throwing out an occasional kick to supposedly jump-start any equipment that seems to be semi functional (with no luck).

You decide to check out the first corpse that fell out of one of the tanks, and let the other two know. Snake shrugs.

"Sure, kid. Just be careful in there, I felt like we weren't completely alone."

You look around the room, and spot James' corpse. Upon closer examination, you notice that his neck was somehow snapped, though not much else is strange about the body. As you wonder about the old man's neck, you notice something out of the corner of your eye...the other corpse is missing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKVi5qh4DVw

Seems as though "Fran" was more alive than you had initially expected...either that, or there's someone or something else in the building that took her corpse. Searching around the room reveals nothing, so you run into the previous room to relay what you saw. Snake strokes his beard.

"Hn...strange. I wonder if his neck was already done for by the time that he made it into that tank."

Suddenly, you hear a tapping sound above you...and what you see when you look up is...unexpected.

A young girl seems to be standing on the ceiling. She gives you a big smile, causing blood to drip down from her mouth.

"Hmm? How did you get out?...oh well, I'm hungry anyway. Hey hey, you'll stay still while I eat you, right?"

You attempt to make yourself seem taller and dangerous as you begin to back away, Jill glares at you and Snake just sighs and shakes his head. The girl tilts her head to the side.

"Hey hey. Are you an idiot, mister?"

Oof. That hurt on an emotional level. As you're recoiling from the deadly blow to your ego, Snake sighs and books it to the elevator.

"Come on, kid! Let's get out of here!"

Jill, on the other hand, rushes the girl. A solid punch to the nose knocks her on her ass and elicits a growl from the girl.

"You meanie! I just wanted to eat you! Now I'm angwy!"

You call upon your inner Neo and dodge backwards, hitting your head against the ground a bit, but also completely dodging the wild girl's attack. She smashes into a nearby wall face-first, eliciting a yelp from the girl. As you get up and run towards the elevator, you hear the girl crying and shouting childish insults at you. The three of you hop into the elevator and hit the only button inside, sending the thing downwards...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-J0d1fooII&t=58s

...you all wander out of the elevator, and into an old, destroyed office. A large, destroyed window at the end of the room shows the three of you a desolate post-apocalyptic landscape. You see decrepit, broken buildings for miles; nothing in this city seems to be alive, based on what you can see from all the way up where you are. After a moment of shocked silence, Jill speaks up.

"This...isn't what I expected to see."

You turn to your partners and ask if they can remember anything. Snake sighs and shakes his head.

"Besides the name 'Snake' and how to shoot a gun, I can't remember a damn thing."

Jill shrugs.

"I remember that I have a husband, and that I like to punch things. Good enough?"

You uh...suppose so? Snake speaks up again:

"D'you remember anything?"

You shake your head, and suggest that you all search the building. Jill refuses, and says that she'll just wait by the entrance, while Snake agrees to search with you...

...the building is mostly empty. Beyond a couple of kitchen knives, you were unable to find much. Jill refuses the knives, on the basis that her fists are better, and you decide not to push it. The three of you venture into the ruined city in search of more supplies, and maybe a way back to your own homes...

"Behind you."

The strange ghost girl's voice rings out in your head, and you instinctively jump to the side.

SMASH!!!!

A hooded humanoid figure smashes into the ground where you just were, causing a massive shockwave. As the figure turns to look at you, you realize that it's the corpse from before: Fran! The hood over her head flies back, revealing a pair of rabbit ears...strange. What's even stranger is what she seems to be carrying in her left hand: the limp body of that demon girl from earlier. Jill assumes a battle stance, and Snake begins looking around, possibly for a way out. You inspect the child's body...looks like she's still breathing. She looks cute while she's sleeping, though you probably shouldn't let that deter you from tossing her aside. After sitting the kid down against a wall, you dash over to Snake while Fran and Jill are fighting.

"Hrng...what a pain. I can't find a decent way out of this one. If that rabbit is as fast as she is strong, we'll need to find a way to at least distract her if we want to find a way away from her."

You ask if he has any ideas.

"We could leave Jill, but that'd hurt us in the long run. The kid over there..."

He motions towards the unconscious demon child.

"...could help us, but using her would be risky (not to mention that she's out cold right now)."

Jill seems to be holding her own, though any hit of Fran's that connects seems to do a lot more damage than any of Jill's attacks. Seems as though you'll need to figure something out quickly!

You look around, frantically searching for a weapon of some sort. Eventually, you manage to find a sturdy-looking pipe. You then turn to Snake and ask if he can apprehend Fran.

"I can try, but I dunno if I'll be able to hold her for long."

You tell him the rest of your plan before handing him the pipe as a precautionary measure, and running out to distract Fran. She immediately switches focus and rushes at you, delivering a punch that you're barely able to block. The force of the punch sends you flying back several feet and causes you to land on your back. As Fran prepares to jump you, Snake sneaks up behind her and tries to grab onto her, though he's easily thrown off and into a wall. Jill seizes the opportunity and picks up a pipe of her own, before smashing it against the back of Fran's head...causing her to fall down.

You managed to beat Fran! Jill sighs.

"We're heading back to that lab. I want to check out that portal room."

Jill, now glaring at Snake for once, replies:

You attempt to reason with Jill, asking her to guard the two for a moment while you and Snake sweep the nearby area, to which she reluctantly agrees. You and Snake begin searching through the area, though you find very little beyond some bottled water and a couple of strange, futuristic snacks that resemble gummi bears. Afterwards, the three of you make your way back to the larger building. Upon arriving back to the lab, you notice that significantly more of the area has been destroyed, Fran even seems to have broken a hole in a nearby wall.

...

You finally make it to the room marked "PORTAL," where (predictably) you find a rather large portal. Though the way that the portal shifts and fluctuates bothers you. It's as though the portal is broken. Just as you're considering trying to find another way out, you hear that voice in your head again.

You thank him and then turn back to your teammates. The three of you decide to scout the area, and then head to different floors...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4I8iwMFuow

You search the upper floor. The castle is massive, so navigating the vast corridors is a bit of a challenge without accidental backtracking at times. Most rooms that you find seem to either be empty, or simply guest rooms. Eventually, you come across a study of some sort; the room itself is massive, and is full of bookshelves. A man sits down at a desk in the room, doing his best to write while wearing massive body armor. He suddenly stops and looks over at you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5S3gPTi5oro

"Can I...help you?"

The man is covered in body armor, even choosing to wear a massive helmet on his head. You can tell that the man has a short fuse just by his body language.

You ask the man what he's writing.

"Oh, this? I'm just writing a guide on how to TEAR demons apart. I guess that it's more like a guide on how to KILL and FIGHT things that aren't entirely human."

You don't know if you feel comfortable with how he emphasizes the more violent words, but you hold your tongue for the time being.

"Y'see, I was once a pretty angry dude. I did some shit that involved lots of RIPPING and TEARING, but now I've mellowed out a bit and just want to live out my days writing shit and hanging out with my pet bunny."

Ripping and tearing, huh?

You ask the man if you can read what he has so far, and he nods, handing you some of the papers that he's been working on. You begin to read, and...

..................

That's rad! You've learned the art of ripping and tearing, and your ability to fight off non-humans has increased. You ask the man if he has any further pointers on ripping and/or tearing, he nods and begins teaching you what he knows...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsoLYWTzqSY

...you hear a bell ring.

"Oh, it must be dinner time. Sorry for keeping you for so long. Uh...tell Alf that I'm not gonna be coming down tonight. Teaching you's got me inspired to write some more. If you need to get somewhere else, feel free to use the portal room in the basement."

You thank him for his time and hospitality before heading downstairs, where Snake and Jill are already sitting at the table. You tell "Alf" that the man upstairs won't be coming down for dinner, eliciting a sigh from the man.

"Of course. Thank you for letting me know."

He excuses himself to the kitchen (supposedly to get food for that guy), leaving you alone with your partners at the dinner table. Food is laid out in front of you, though you aren't entirely sure how they got certain types of meat in this bizarre sky world. Shrugging, you dig in. Jill speaks up as you eat.

"I couldn't find much. This place is boring."

Helpful as always...Snake chuckles and gives his report.

"I found another portal downstairs, I'm guessing that that's where we're headed next. Right?"

You nod and tell them about the man upstairs, as well as what he taught you. Snake looks a bit uncomfortable when you mention some of his methods.

"Hrnng...it's good that you learned a thing or two from him. Though ripping and tearing isn't exactly my style, it'll be nice to have someone on board with those skills."

As the three of you finish eating, Alf returns to the room.

"Will the three of you be staying the night? If you do, then I would be more than happy to prepare rooms for you."

You just realized how exhausted you feel after everything that you've gone through.

Your party agrees to stay the night, and all of you are led up to your rooms by Alf. That night, you dream...

...you take another step up the path. Mist partially blocks your vision, making it difficult to see anything other than the ground in front of you. Eventually, you make it to a plateau atop the mountain and stop...you call out to him, hoping that he'll answer.

"-----, I'm here! Come on out!"

...a glowing pair of eyes show themselves through the mist as a figure begins to walk towards you.

"...----...how nice of you to come."

You can't make him out, but you know that he's the one that you've been looking for. He's the one who knows who you are...

You tell your partners about the dream that you had. Jill shrugs slightly and replies with a mouth full of eggs.

"Soundsh dumb."

As expected. Snake seems to be thinking about what you said before shrugging as well.

"Might've just been based on some movie that you saw back in your own world."

He goes back to eating. Maybe you'll be able to learn more about that dream as you continue (or, at the very least, you might be able to find someone interested in it). Upon finishing your meal, the three of you head to the basement, where you find a portal, Alf, and the man who taught you how to rip and tear yesterday. The man nods at you.

You walk into the end of a dark alleyway. Small, rat-like creatures scurry about the floor, paying you no mind. One of the rat mutants looks at you with its many eyes, its scorpion-like tail swinging about, before running off as soon as Snake and Jill enter the picture. Snake scratches the back of his head.

"Hrnng...a city that seems like it's inhabited. That's a nice change of pace."

The three of you exit the alleyway and begin looking around. This area seems heavily populated by monster-like beings, similar to ones that you've probably seen in media (such as vampires and succubi). Your party begins wandering down the street, until...

"'Ey, you! Humie! We don' take kinely to yo' kind aroun' dese kindsa parts!"

You turn around to see a trio of demons sauntering down the street, snapping their fingers. They're all wearing leather jackets and sunglasses...you hold back the urge to laugh, though you hear a chuckle from Snake.

"'Ey 'ey 'ey!!!! Youse tink dat sumfin' 'bout 'dis is funny?!"

The demon creates a small fireball and bounces it in his hand.

"Y'see 'DIS, pinkie? 'Dis 'ere is gen-yoo-wine magic! You'd betta get down on yer knees and beg fer fo - "

...a man appears behind the demon as a gash appears in its neck. The gash grows rapidly and, before you know it, the demon's head falls onto the ground. The man glares over at the other two demons, who run away screaming, before looking back at you. His eyes seem to have been glowing, though they turn back to normal-looking human eyes before he addresses you. He doesn't look like a very happy person.

"Lucas: servant of God, and exterminator of those who lose themselves to sin. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm currently in this dimension hunting down a man by the name of Nero, though I'm also trying to cut down the rampant gang violence in the area (both literally and figuratively) at the behest of a certain lich."

Sounds like an important dude. Jill suddenly speaks up.

"Do you know a way out of here? I don't want to have to deal with any more of those degenerates."

Lucas nods.

"Indeed I do, though it would require meeting with one of the leaders of the warring clans. The three of you seem capable enough, so if you would like, you may accompany me as I fulfill my mission. Be warned: the two of you..."

He motions towards you and Snake.

"...may be discriminated against due to your lack of magical abilities, as magic is what decides one's social status in this world."

Seems as though Jill has some magic in her, maybe you should ask her about that sometime.

"More action is always nice, but I wouldn't mind finding some smokes or a drink right now. They didn't have any liquor back at that castle."

Jill seems to be glaring at Lucas.

"A drink sounds good right about now. Hey priest, do you have any money that we could use for a drink?"

Lucas nods and hands Jill a small bag filled with coins.

"Each of those can be used for a single purchase. They're a special type of currency in this world that can be exchanged for practically anything, so I suggest not losing them."

With that, Lucas turns around and walks off, leaving the three of you alone in the city. Jill clicks her tongue.

"Asshole could've at least left us a map or something..."

Your party goes to the bar. It's a trendy-looking place, with flashing lights and loud music. The three of you sit down, and, being unable to read the menu, you all just order whatever the bartender recommends. After being served, the three of you talk about what you can remember about yourselves, though you don't learn much through that beyond the fact that Snake has a decent amount of combat training and Jill knows a bit of wind magic. A vampire wanders over to the three of you, and begins attempting to chat up Jill.

"H-heyyyy, baby *hic*. Howwww're yew doin'? *hic* How 'bout you ditch those two looooosers and get with a real man?"

Jill takes a deep breath, and looks over at the bartender, tossing him another coin. The bartender nods, catching the coin, as Jill proceeds to smash her glass against the vampire's head.

"Get out of my sight, you piece of trash. Try that shit one more time, and I'll tear your teeth out of your mouth and shove them up your ass."

The vampire, recoiling in pain, runs off while yelling something about a "boss." Jill might've just made things harder for you. Upon finishing your drinks, Snake remarks that he still needs something to smoke, so the three of you exit the bar.

Outside, you find yourself faced with several vampires in suits, including the one that Jill attacked. He points at Jill and yells over at a larger one.

"Th-that's the one, bro! That's the bitch that hit me!"

Snake sighs and gets ready to fight, you also assume a fighting stance. This might be a bit much for your group, but you don't see any escape routes. Jill chuckles for once.

"Pathetic. You can't deal with me on your own? Come on then."

You aren't sure if working them up is the best idea...the little girl's voice speaks to you again.

You begin by asking Nero why he doesn't like vampires. He seems taken aback by this.

"Wh-huh? I don't exactly dislike them, I'm just uh...not used to them, I guess? I mean, they were attacking you guys, right? I just figured that killing 'em would be the best way to deal with 'em."

You follow up by asking how long he's been here.

"That's ah uh...that's a good question. I can't really tell, since it's eternally nighttime here. Sorry about that!"

You thank him for that and then turn to Jill to ask what happened to the rest of the vampires.

"The big guy came in and slaughtered them. He seemed like a completely different person when he was slicing through them all."

You nod, and then ask Snake if there's something on his mind.

"Not really. Sorry to disappoint you, kid."

Ah well. After deciding to take Nero with you for the time being, your party stops by a convenience store. While there, you pick up some supplies and cigarettes for Snake. You and Nero chat a bit about what's happened to your group so far while you shop. You tell him about Lucas while you're leaving, and he suddenly freezes.

"Goddamit...I wish that he'd get over that whole thing. Listen, Lucas is angry at me because of some shit that I did while I wasn't entirely myself. I recommend staying far away from the guy, he's dangerous...in fact, I think that I might have a way out of here that doesn't involve working with him. You tell Nero that you'll take his offer, to which he grins and nods.

"Great! All right then, so from what I've gathered, there's a guy named Louie who has the ability to open holes to neighboring dimensions, the only downside is that he's one of the bosses of the gangs around here. If we want to meet with him, we'll need a way into his club, which is where he's usually holed up."

All right, fair enough. So, do you just sneak into the club or something?

"Not exactly. Y'see, there's another guy in town that basically exists to help people out; and if your situation is bad enough, he'll do just about anything short of physical labor to help you out...er, to put it in simpler terms: he can get you and your buddies passes to Louie's club."

This almost sounds too good to be true.

"It does, doesn't it? Well, I'd recommend not worrying too much about the details, that's generally what I do to deal with this kind of thing! O-oh! Right...I forgot to mention that I won't be able to come with you, since the last part of the plan involves sneaking into Louie's office, and I'm not really built for that kind of thing. Aaaanyway, just go to the library and ask for 'Ed,' he's a lich with connections everywhere. I'll be outside if you need me."

All right, so to summarize: go to the library, get a pass into the club from Ed the Lich, sneak into Louie's office, and then convince him to open a portal for you.

You grin at him and whisper that you will begin to quote normie memes until he allows you to pass.

"E-egad, no! Anything but the memes! H-here, I'll call Ed and let him know that you're going in, b-but he'll only be able to meet with one of you!"

You say that that's good enough and thank him, pulling back as he lets out a relieved sigh. He then pushes a button on a communication device.

"H-hey, Ed. You've got a uh visitor..."

...you hear a deep voice reply.

"Right. Send them in."

Looks like you're in. Jill mentions that she'll wait outside with Nero and leaves as you head towards the room that the Pepe man directs you to.

Upon entering, you notice that, despite the room being full of candles, it is quite cold. A humanoid figure at a desk motions for you to come over. As you get closer, you begin to notice that the warmly-dressed individual is a skeleton with glowing dots in its eye sockets. It motions for you to take a seat, which you do.

"Sorry about Carl, he can be a bit...abrasive sometimes. I probably could have said something to him, but it's always fun seeing how outsiders deal with him."

You mention why you're here.

"Ah, I see. Well, I don't know how much you know about Louie, but he's stepped up security a bit since the last time a human sauntered into his office. You'll have to be careful if you want to get to him in one piece. Regardless, I can get you VIP passes for his club...give me one quick second."

He turns around and reaches into a drawer, shuffling around before pulling out three cards and handing them to you.

"There are three of you going in, right? That should be enough to get you through the front door. Beyond that, you'll just have to do what you can."

You ask Ed about this world, Louie, and himself.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwXR2qhtNbw

"That's quite a bit to cover. I hope that you don't mind sticking around for a bit."

You shrug.

"Very well then...this world is a strange one. It's said that the world its citizens were merely phased into existence one day, and that it was due to the collective imagination of another species in a completely separate universe, though this theory is impossible to prove and has absolutely no real basis beyond 'I knew a guy that knew a guy that said this thing that sounded cool.'

Er...right. Anyway, magic is everything in this universe. Every being in this world has the potential to perform magic at some level or another, and our social and economic classes are based around that ability. The world's government gives money and high-ranking government positions to those that have the potential to perform higher-level magic, meaning that they get to live better lives and generally have more opportunities. Those at the bottom tend to live in squalor and die quickly, which is why you won't see many goblins or imps running around town causing trouble. The government actually recently began to collapse a bit, causing certain high-ranking monsters to lose their cool and form gangs in order to 'take control' of this main city. Currently, Louie's demons, the vampires, and the wolf people have the most control in the city, though there are several smaller groups attempting to climb their way to the top. All of that happened due to a little incident where a monster known as a 'nightmare' killed several government officials, and then attacked Louie. Strangely enough, that attack on Louie happened due to the appearance of another human...I wonder if they're all right...

...o-oh, and uh...as for Louie, he's one of the strongest guys in this city. His magical potential is through the roof, and he doesn't shy away from making that a well-known fact. Once upon a time, he and the nightmare were the strongest beings in the realm, but the vampires got a new leader from another dimension, and the wolves found a 'secret weapon' of some sort a couple of weeks ago, though I'm not sure what that could be. Louie himself doesn't actually do much with his gang, he doesn't need to have them do anything illegal beyond killing those who oppose him in his place, since he really doesn't need the money, and demons already make enough on their own due to them just being demons, so all of his people join for the sake of bashing heads.

As for me...well, I'm just a simple lich that enjoys the company of a good book. I'm actually quite powerful, I just don't really like to make that known. I've lived in this world much longer than many of the other monsters, so I tend to know my way around a bit better, but I also happen to be a bit old-fashioned when it comes to certain things.

The best advice that I can give is don't travel alone, watch out for that 'secret weapon,' and don't get on Louie's bad side. In fact, I'll tell you what I told the other human that popped by my place for advice: there's a chance that Louie will tear you apart limb from limb, gut you, and keep you alive and conscious through the entire thing (and maybe even put you back together and do it again) if you screw up and say the wrong thing...so yeah, don't be an idiot."

You thank him for his time.

"Hey, no problem at all. It's been a while since I've been able to just dump a bunch of information on someone. Hit me up if you happen to stumble back into town sometime. Good luck with Louie!"

Nice dude. You head out and meet your partners outside of the building, quickly telling them what Ed told you as far as advice goes while you hand out the cards. Nero grins and gives you a thumbs up.

"Cool cool. I'll accompany you guys to the place, then I'll see if I can find an alternative route out of here."

Right before you thank him, you hear an "awoo"-type sound in the distance.

"...you mentioned werewolves, right?"

You nod as several anthropomorphic wolf people surround you and your friends. One of them speaks up.

"Woof! Hey there, humans! We were actually looking for you! We heard that you were *pant* in town, and wanted to test something on you!"

He howls as several other wolf people carry a rather hefty-looking coffin over and toss it onto the ground. As soon as they jump back from it, the coffin begins to open and...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6AuvA-tl3Y

...oh fuck. Fran smashes the coffin to pieces from the inside and begins looking around. As one of the wolf men approaches her to get a better look, she grabs it by the throat and begins squeezing, glaring at it all the while. Other wolves run over to help, but Fran swats them away as though they were nothing, killing a couple with the impact of her fists. She's definitely gotten stronger.

SNAP!

The wolf in her hand's neck snaps, and she tosses it aside before looking over at you and assuming a battle stance. The other wolves begin to run away, seems as though they didn't really know how to control her.

"Looks like you'll really need my help for this one."

Nero walks towards the monster as a black sword materializes in his left hand.

You nod at Nero, eliciting a grin from the gray-skinned man.

"That's what I like to hear! Let's do th - "

Fran immediately rushes Nero, delivering a massive punch to his gut that you can feel despite being a couple of feet away from him, but...

...Nero seems entirely unaffected. He begins to chuckle.

"Too bad for you, defense is kind of my thing...now DIE!"

He takes a swing at the confused Fran, who barely manages to dodge. Looks like this fight won't be too bad as long as Nero's around. Snake does his best to sneak around Fran, and subdue her when he can, while you take opportunities to hit her when she's dealing with Nero and Jill, the latter of whom seems to be using her wind powers a bit more liberally...

...you and Snake punch Fran in the face simultaneously, finally knocking her down. Nero begins to laugh.

"Hah! That was fun! Man, if I manage to get out of here and run into you guys again, I hope that we can fight something again!"

You tell him that you'd be more than happy to do that.

https://youtu.be/k1UzvqV63UA

"...I finally found you...Nero..."

Ah shit. Lucas appears directly behind Nero, forming a katana in his hand from the light around him. Nero's eyes go wide as he yells at you.

"Get out of here now!"

Lucas unsheathes the blade and takes several swings...but nothing happens. Nero jumps back as quickly as his large body allows him as Lucas sheathes the blade, causing hundreds of slash marks to appear where he just was; looks like Lucas' sword's attacks can be delayed, that could be a problem. Lucas glares at you.

"After him...you're next!"

Lucas runs at Nero, dodging around a swipe of his sword and delivering a blow to the back of his head with the sheath. Snake yells over at you.

"Running might not be a bad idea, kid!"

Jill nods with a serious look on her face. The tiny girl's voice rings out in your head.

You nod at your companions, and make a break for Louie's club, leaving the sounds of swords clashing against each other behind you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIzZdsItsEY

You finally make it to the club. It's located in a rather large building and has a massive neon sign that says "DEMON'S RESPITE" above the entrance. A demonic bouncer looks over at the three of you and sighs, holding out his hand.

"You got passes or sumthin'? I doubt yer on Louie's list."

The three of you hand the man your passes, which he examines carefully.

"Tch. Dese're real, awright. Gunna have ta suggest ta da boss dat we rough up dat Ed fucker fer givin' humies free passes...ah well, c'mon in."

He opens the door for you, and the three of you enter. Before closing the door, he yells at you.

"An' don' even tink 'bout botherin' da boss! He's in a real important meetin'!"

Snake shrugs.

"Looks like our first goal is to find a way to Louie's office."

You notice a set of stair being guarded by a pair of demons with a sign saying "employees only," and another set being guarded by a single, larger demon with a sign that says "VIP." Several monsters seem to be enjoying themselves here, though you notice a rather large concentration of vampires in the club, you even notice the cowardly vampire from earlier sitting at a private table with a small posse.

>Try the VIP area.

I think our best bet is to rile up some of the monsters to get the guards distracted, but I also think it would be fitting to have Snake take the lead on our stealth mission. Gotta give all our companions time to shine.
>>
>>4607050
You ask Snake what the best course of action would be considering the fact that he seems to have some stealth experience. He takes a moment to look around before turning back to you.

"Hrnng...this shouldn't be too hard. Jill, I want you to get that vampire from earlier to notice you. Hopefully he's as hot-headed as I think he is, and he'll start a fight right here in the club. The three of us can slip away in the chaos that ensues...though first, we'll need to figure out which way we'll have to go to get to Louie's office..hrnng.."

You decide to do that, and walk over to a nearby monster. You ask them if they know which way Louie's office is, and they tell you that you'd have to go through the employee entrance. That makes things harder, considering that you'll probably end up having to fight one or two demons if you're unable to sneak around. After reporting back to Snake, the three of you put your plan into action. Jill, instead of just casually wandering around and hoping for the vampires to see her, walks up to their table and socks the cowardly vampire in the face before he has a chance to react...

Within less than a minute, chaos reigns in the club. Monsters of all kind are tearing each other to pieces, and the three of you are able to sneak into the employee area. Fortunately, the only demon here is one guarding (what you assume is) Louie's room. Jill grabs a small box and chucks it at the demon's face, knocking it out instantly. The three of you take this opportunity to rush into the room, where you're met by a demon that seems to have taken all of his fashion-related ideas from Happy Days, and a tall vampire sitting down at a table.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-AlxOhx0Bo

The demon sighs.

"An' jus' who might you three be?"

You answer by telling him that you're a trio of humans looking to get back to your own dimensions, and that you were hoping that he'd be able to help. The vampire chuckles.

"I believe that this is the second time that I have heard of a situation such as this. Louie, if you assist these three, then I will be fully willing to cooperate with your 'crew.'"

The demon looks over at the vampire with a surprised look on his face.

"You sure, Vlad? I means, dese tree don' seem like dey're harborin' any sorta dream demons, but dey sure do look sus."

Vlad chuckles again.

"I will not disagree with that, though I doubt that how 'sus' they may seem affects the fact that opening a portal for them would have much less...messy results than what you normally do to uninvited guests."

Louie sighs.

"Fine, but dey has ta choose deir own ways."

Louie gets up and snaps as a pair of portals open on either side of him.

"Aight. Pick a portal and get da fuck out. You prolly made a fuckin' mess'a my club tryin' to get ova here, and I wanna fix it as soon as possible. Capiche?"

Sand breaks your fall as you land in this new world. Getting up, you notice that everything here is either black or white. Shadows are nonexistent, as there is no visible source of light. The trees(?) all look leafless and dead, and are completely black, small black-and-white animals scurry about, one touches your foot and de-materializes completely before you see it materialize several feet away. Your partners land on either side of you as you're looking around. In the distance, you see a tiny figure moving about the white sands of the world. Awesome. After checking in with that, you wave at the small thing and begin approaching, it moves quickly over to where you are. The thing is a small black blob no taller than a 5-year-old. It looks up at you and smiles.

Snake answers normally, while Jill seems to have trouble.

"J-Jill, i-it's uh...nice to meet you."

"Yay! Nice to meet you too, Jill! You seem really nice!"

Jill faints.

"Uh-oh! Is Jill going to be ok?"

You and Snake look at each other.

"Uh...yeah, I'm sure that she will, kid. Don't worry about it."

"Yay! Hey hey, do you three need help? I know a thing that can help you if you need it! I took the other human that came here over to it, and it helped that human out!"

That was...helpful? Oh well, you and Snake follow Blip. Along the way, you see other black beings that look similar to Blip, though they don't acknowledge you or really even look over at you, they simply wander about. Your group finally arrives at a massive, black castle. Blip opens a large, white door leading into darkness, and then sticks out a pair of arm-like appendages towards you and Snake.

The larger being takes a closer look at you and your party before speaking.

"I'm uh...Annabelle. I don't remember much more than my name, sorry."

You ask her about how she got into your head.

"I...don't really know about that either...sorry..."

She looks a little sad, but you ask your next question anyway: what can she tell you about what's going on.

"Oh, uh...I believe that those dreams that you have been have been having are due to my own abilities, though I'm not entirely sure what 'my own abilities' means right now...I'm not sure how any of us ended up this way."

You tell her that it's ok, and you help her up. The two of you proceed to move through the hedge maze until eventually arriving at a ghastly sight: a mutilated human corpse. A green-haired woman seems to be examining the corpse, she turns to look at you and the girl and then raises an eyebrow.

"Hm? More humans? I wasn't expecting to see living ones around here...oh, uh...don't worry about this. He was dead when I got here."

"N-no! I don't know anything! I just keep finding corpses of my sisters and those of various hive-dwellers, but I have been unable to find anybody living beyond your group...o-oh, right. My name is Lillie. Like my sisters, I've been named after a flower."

Fair enough. You ask her about hive-dwellers.

"Ah, they are insect people from the other side of the maze. We generally get along, so I hope that this isn't an attack by them..."

You quickly turn to Snake and Jill and whisper to both of them to be on their guard, they nod...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UJ-zZv2Ob8

You arrive at a small wooden house with a wooden fence around it. Lillie tells you all to wait outside, and wanders in...shortly after, she wanders out and informs you that the Gardener isn't at home at the moment.

"I-if you would like, I could prepare some tea and we could all wait inside. I would prefer that, as it would probably reduce our chances of being attacked. Not to mention that the Gardener's home has an anti-evil barrier around it, so any sort of evil spirits will be stopped before they can get in."

Lilith seems concerned.

"Listen, I'm a succubus, so I don't think that the 'anti-evil barrier' and I would mesh well, so I'm just going to sit out here."

Oh well, she'll probably be fine. Your group follows Lillie in without Lilith. Lillie begins making tea for your team while you all sit down at a rather large dining table. After serving you, she sits down with her own glass.

"Th-thank you so much for coming with me! I was afraid that being alone for that long would have gotten me murdered, so being here with trustworthy people like yourselves is nice."

Seems as though the tea isn't drugged, based on how quickly Jill finished her's.

As you drink your tea, you ask Lillie about the "Gardener."

"Oh, the Gardener is a wonderful man! He was once a human like you, but apparently everybody in his world betrayed him. It was all over some controversy about him hitting a woman, in which he was wrongfully accused. He really didn't hit her...a-anyway, he was fed up with the world due to everybody betraying him, so he decided to learn magic. He eventually found a portal into this dimension and made peace with the Hive, which is ruled by the Queen. He made this cabin with his magic, and then he began to create my sisters and me...though now, it seems as though I may be the only one left..."

She looks very sad about that...though something about the way she described the Gardener sounds very familiar...you wonder why...and then you stop wondering as the front door closes, and a long-haired man walks in.

"Oh hi, Lillie. Who are these beautiful-looking people?"

"O-oh, hello Master! Th-these are wanderers that found me in the Garden. They safely walked me to your home."

The man grins and walks up to you, putting his hand on your shoulder.

"Well thank you very much, friends. I appreciate your assisting of Lillie. If you have any problems, talk to me and I will help you."

You ask this strange man about the maze.

"That's good question. The maze is an enigma. A figment of our imagination made reality. You have to walk around the maze many time before you really understand it. I have walked around it many times, and now look at me: I'm a master wizard."

That was...unhelpful. You ask if the maze has a way out.

"No, not it does naht."

Awesome. You then ask if he can help you and your friends with getting out.

"Of course, my friend. I can help you all. I just need to meet with the Queen, and the two of us can send you closer to home."

Sweet, you then ask for a moment to chat with your group alone.

"Of course. Come on, Lillie. Let's go throw the football around outside. Maybe the green woman will join us."

The two of them leave your group alone, and you begin by asking your team if you should help them find and defeat/apprehend/kill the murderer. Snake seems to think for a moment before sighing.

"As much as I'd like to help, I don't think that it would be in our best interests. Finding a murderer in a maze like this is basically the same as trying to find a needle in a haystack."

Jill nods in agreement.

"I hate that Gardener guy, so I want to get out of here as soon as possible."

Annabelle chimes in.

"I think that we should at least try to help! These people have their own lives to live, and we all have skills that could uh...really help out!"

Absolutely. I don't see why the voters are always so keen to rush through worlds. We're having tea with one of this world's most powerful denizens, and we can learn magic. Imagine what else they'd help out with if we helped them do something. It's not like we're getting to the bottom of the eternal isekai shit in-character. Since this quest began, we've fought bunnies, vampires and demons. IN THE FIRST PARTS OF THE QUEST. Let's chill out, do something nice for once, and get a heaping reward for our troubles.

After thinking it over for a moment, you inform your partners that you'd like to help the people of this world deal with their murder problem if you're able to. A smile breaks out of Annabelle's face, Snake shrugs, and Jill rolls her eyes. After coming to that conclusion, the three of you head outside to find...

...pieces of Lillie scattered everywhere, and the Gardener fighting off a bizarre-looking opponent. He looks back over at you.

"Oh hi, frie - "

The creature lashes out, attempting to skewer the man with a massive tentacle. Fortunately, the Gardener is quick on his feet; he dodges the attack, summons a football out of nowhere, and chucks it at the being, which hisses after being struck in this shoulder.

"Haha yes! Take that, matherfacker!"

"KHHHH...DAMN HUMANS, RUINING MY PLANS."

You tell Jill to hold the creature off while you look for something: you have a plan. She gives an exasperated sigh and mutters a "fine." Snake helps however he can, though it seems as though physical attacks don't work terribly well against this thing. Fortunately, Jill's wind-based magic and the Gardener's magical attacks seem to at least be holding it off. Finally, you find a hose, and you call out to Annabelle. You tell her to turn the hose on as soon as you have it pointed at the monster.

"Ok! I-I'll do my best!"

You begin running at the monster with the hose. Finally, you catch it while it's distracted by Jill, who's put up a dome-like barrier of wind around her, and then yell over at Annabelle. The hose blasts the demon with water, and...

"HAHA...HAHAHAHAHA! IDIOT! WHAT DID YOU THINK THAT WOULD ACCOMPLISH?!"

...uh...shit. Tentacles begin flying at you in an attempt to stab you full of holes. With no time to dodge, you shut you eyes tightly and brace yourself for the worst until...

"Sh-shit..."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eeOPm2j-t4

...opening your eyes, you see the figure of Jill in front of you. Several sharp-looking tentacles protrude from her back, one in particular is coming straight from where her heart was.

"Y-you fucking *cough*....dumbass.....heh....you'd better...k-kee...p....livi....ng......ass...ho....J-Joseph....."

You hear a scream from Annabelle.

"No! NO!!!"

Suddenly, everything around you begins to distort. The monster retracts her tentacles and transforms back into Lilith.

"I should...probably get out of here..."

She runs off while everything around you gets fucky. The world around you begins glitching out, and it seems as though Annabelle is to blame. The Gardener turns to you.

"We mahst stop her before she destroys our reality!"

Snake doesn't seem to know what to do here.

You dash over to Annabelle and grab her hand, you call her name name as you do this. She seems to stir, and the glitchiness around you begins to calm down a bit. She looks over at you with tears in her eyes, and you take this opportunity to give her a hug. Sobbing, she returns the hug as the world goes back to normal.

"Wow, great job! You did it!"

Way to kill the mood, Gardener. Annabelle seems to want to stay quiet for the time being, so you turn to Snake, who's wasted no time lighting a cigarette.

"Not the first time that I've had a friend die on me, though I can't say that it ever gets easier."

You pick Annabelle up and begin carrying her on your shoulders, then you tell the Gardener that you should all hurry up and get out. He nods.

"Follow me, friends."

After a bit of walking through the many twists and turns of the maze, you arrive at a rather large beehive-like structure. Large bee-like creatures fly around the structure, paying your group no mind. The Gardener leads your party inside...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQYzSJz_xkU

Inside is pretty much what you expected: honey and what looks like the inside of a beehive. The Gardener leads you through the hive until you enter a rather large chamber, in which resides a mostly normal-looking woman. She looks over at your party and smiles.

"Hello, Tommy. Who are zzezze folkzz?"

"Hi, Queen. These are my new friends. They helped me scare off a scary monster matherfacker."

The Queen flies over to you and begins inspecting your party.

QM I just wanted to comment on how much I fucking love how you’ve handled character death for both Deep Journeys so far. Every death is impactful to the in quest characters and it also makes me feel a little bit empty inside whenever it happens. Usually these deaths are quick and by that I mean one wrong move and a character dies, but looking back to previous updates I can see many tiny pieces of foreshadowing that aloud to how a character can die in this encounter or how this character is actually hostile to the party but we didn’t realize until it’s too late (ex. Jill’s and Carmen’s killers). Each time someone dies though it makes me try and pay closer attention to these details and have the party be more careful in the future, until that doesn’t work out, someone dies, and the cycle repeats. There’s only a few times that I feel the deaths couldn’t have been avoided by the voters doing something to prevent it, just because the enemy’s where too powerful (ex. Big Bosses death). Rant over I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the work you put into this quest QM.

You ask the Queen about the murderer, and if there's anything that she knows about her.

"I'm zzorry, but I know very little about monzzterzz like her."

You ask Tommy if he'll be ok.

"Oh yeah, don't worry about it, friend. I can always scoop up the souls of my plant friends and make new bodies for them."

You go with "cold," and then ask if she has an extra jacket or something on hand.

"I'm zzure that Tommy could help with that."

The Gardener, Tommy, summons jackets for you, Annabelle, and Snake, though only you accept it. Annabelle apparently isn't affected by the weather, and Snake has some sort of nanomachines in him that protect him from the cold. Tommy also summons a backpack for you with three small sleeping bags inside, though it doesn't seem like it can carry much more than that. Once you've confirmed that you're all ready to go, Tommy and the Queen cast some sort of clashing spells that create a rather large portal. Your group takes the plunge and runs into the portal...

...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBpEb8mPuXY

...you find yourself on top of a snowy plateau. It's quite dark out at the moment, and there's no moon in the sky, but everything seems to be illuminated by a massive building in the distance. Snake blows some smoke before speaking.

"Looks like that might be our destination."

You decide to keep on truckin', as Annabelle doesn't seem particularly tired and Snake seems ready for action. As you run towards the building, you begin to make out more details, eventually realizing that the massive structure is a large casino! You eventually arrive at a decent vantage point from where you can observe the building. Outside, a normal-looking bald man in a suit stands guard at the entrance, though there are several cameras on the building. The casino itself is absolutely massive, you can't even see where it ends while you're as close to it as you are. Snake puts out his cigarette.

As soon as he leaves, you look over at Annabelle and ask if there's anything that she can do.

"Uh...I'm not sure. Sorry..."

You tell her that it's ok, and then the two of you wait for Snake while making small talk. Snake finally arrives and gives a defeated sigh.

"I couldn't find any alternative entrances or exits near the bottom, so we'll have to get in the old-fashioned way. I doubt that the man at the front will just attack us unprovoked, so talking to him might be the best course of action."

Annabelle nods.

"I feel several powerful presences in the building, though I cannot tell where they are."

You ask him about the facility.

"Oh, I guess that your group probably just stumbled upon our humble little casino. This is the Silver Saucer, an inter-dimensional casino-slash-apartment building for the rich and powerful. We send out two-way invitations to those who we believe will be valuable patrons, and they use those to come here, stay a while, and then go back home...after paying off any unchecked debts, of course. The invitations allow our guests to come on over whenever they want, but they can only be used to go back once, and that feature is only available if they've paid all of their debts to the casino."

You ask about the tournament.

"Ah yes, for those patrons willing to put their lives on the line, or for wanderers like yourselves, we have an option that will allow you to live in the casino without needing to pay a cent. Food, clothing, and rooms will be provided free of charge if you decide to go through with this. The catch to this option is that, every few days, you'll be forced to fight for your life in an arena. Fortunately, if you come in as a group, you'll be allowed to fight alongside your partners...ah yes, if you're not the biggest fan of murder, you don't have to kill your opponents, just render them immobile, though your opponents are more than free to torture, humiliate, and kill you if they wish. So, what do you think? Will you be joining as competitors in the tournament?"

Not much of a choice, is there?

"Ah yes, I forgot to mention: due to the fact that we receive competitors from all sorts of different universes, the competition may be a bit...rough if you find yourself without someone skilled in combating magic or opponents with strange body types."

Hoo boy...

"We've had scouts scour the wastes here for years, and haven't found a single way out. The only way outta here is the casino."

You sigh and turn to your companions. Snake nods.

"Looks like there's no other choice. You and me are gonna have to win this thing."

Annabelle pipes up.

"Y-You're not alone! I can try to help, too!"

Snake gives her a look.

"Listen, kid...I think that you should just hang out in our room."

Annabelle looks dejected, but doesn't push the subject. You turn back to the guard.

Hey it’s nice to see a new anon in here. Deep Journey is basically a oneshot quest with references to either the the QM’s old quest or Deep Journey 1, you don’t need any prior knowledge to get into it though. Other than being really engaging and fun the only thing to note is that this quest is fucking HARD, characters can die immediately if you don’t have proper planning or sometimes even if you do. It also has really nice character moments and a good chunk of lore for each world. I hope you stick around, but if you do prepare for an emotional roller coaster.

You ask the other two if they'd be down for a bit of exploration, Snake gives you a "sure," and Annabelle nods excitedly. Seems as though she's interested in this new place. Your party proceeds through the building, finding all sorts of strange activities in which to partake, though many require some sort of currency unique to this world, so you hold off on engaging in anything in particular for now. While you're walking around, you ask Annabelle if there's some way to reform your bond temporarily.

"I'm sorry, I don't think that I can..."

You give Nero a friendly greeting, and then explain how things have been going.

"Ouch...sorry about what happened to Jill."

You tell him that you'll manage before asking about how his fight went, how he ended up here, and if I has any useful information about this world.

"Well, Lucas is a tough dude. Lucky for me, I didn't have to go all out, because that rabbit chick that you knocked out earlier got back up and punched the guy a few blocks away. She kind of bailed after that, so I have no clue what happened to her, but your antics over at the club gave me the opportunity to confront that Louie guy."

So Louie just opened a portal for him?

"Nope. The guy actually just gave me an invitation to this place that he got one day and told me to fuck off. I don't have the cash to afford living here, so I've had to enter some sorta fighting tournament. Beyond the stuff about the tournament, I don't know much. Turns out that there's an actual match-up roster set up somewhere, so I've been looking for that."

Snake strokes his beard.

"A roster? Does that mean that there's a way to 'win' this thing? I was just expecting random fights."

Nero scratches his head.

"The guy up front didn't tell you? The prize for getting fourth or fifth place is having one simple wish granted, second and third get slightly more complex wishes, and first place gets a big wish and the chance to be employed with the casino."

You ask why getting employed here is a first-place prize.

"Immortality. Every single employee here is immortal, and they get to do practically anything that they want when they're off the clock. They're straight-up allowed to kill guests that piss them off if they really want to."

That's kind of wild. Good to know though, since now you know that pissing off the staff is a bad call.

You decide to assist Nero in searching for the match-up information, and the four of you proceed to move about the facility. You eventually find somewhere that looks like a gift shop that leads into a closed-off arena. As you look around, you see a man with a snake's tail for the lower half of his body standing(?) in front of a black screen, he's dressed like an employee. You approach the man and ask if he knows where the roster is, and he gives you a nasty look.

"It'ssss right behind me, but I've been told to guard it until the tournament startsssss."

Damn, looks like you've hit a dead end...and then you hear a voice.

"What's going on here, Usothep?"

A shirtless, muscular human man saunters up to your group and begins questioning the snake man.

"Oh, Mister Billy. I've been guarding the roster like you asked!"

"Like I asked?"

"Billy" crossed his arms and cocks his head to the side.

"I don't remember asking that. I think that you should turn the monitor back on so that these good people can see who they'll be up against, and then take a short break before getting back to work. If anybody gives you crap about it, just tell them to call me, and I'll set things straight...heh."

The snake man smiles and turns the monitor on before dashing off with a "thank you!" The man turns to your group and smiles.

"Sorry about that, fellas. We have a bit of a screwy chain of command here, so employees will sometimes do stupid things to inconvenience the guests by getting newbies to cause trouble."

You tell him that it's all right and then look at the roster. All sorts of names are listed, though you assume that many of these must be pseudonyms. Eventually, you find "Solid Snake, Annabelle, and the Enigma." You ask Billy about the strange nicknames.

"Oh yeah, our boss has access to a lot of information about the fighters, so he likes to give people fitting nicknames when they join up."

Nero seems to be frowning at one particular name: "The Ragnarok Berserker." He sighs and looks over at you.

"They gave me a name that a friend of mine came up with back in my world. Can't say that I'm the biggest fan..."

Billy pats Nero on the shoulder.

"Sorry about that, pal."

Nero rolls his eyes as you look at who you're up against for the first round..."Goblins." It's just "Goblins." What the fuck?

You start off by asking Billy about the scaling in the tournament.

"Well, we tend to match folks up with whoever we think would be a good first match-up. With the exception of Snake over there, you fellas haven't really shown off what you can do in a big fight, so we have you starting out against weaker opponents. As you can see..."

He motions towards the competitors' names.

"...the matches are ordered so that the absolute most powerful challengers are all the way to the right, hence why your pal Nero is right around here."

He points to a part fairly close to the right, seems like Nero is quite powerful.

"Since we have a lot of competitors, it's not too uncommon for stronger challengers to get wiped out and lose to weaker opponents, since we have them fighting more often."

Nero nervously scratches the back of his head. You ask about losing and what happens to people that lose and/or surrender.

"Well, the good news is that losing just disqualifies you, meaning that you'll still be able to stick around here and join future tournaments. More good news is that surrendering ends your match early, so you don't have to die then and there; surrendering does require you to at least last ten minutes, and you can't do it if you're collapsed or being beaten on, so no tapping out if an enemy is crushing you. That brings me to the bad news: losing means that your opponents can kill you if they want. A lot of the rich folk here come for the blood and guts, so we like to give them a good show."

How morbid.

You thank Billy.

"No problem at all, pal. Oh, and good luck with your first match tomorrow!"

He wanders off, and you turn to your companions. Annabelle yawns and Snake scratches the back of his head.

"I think that getting to bed now would be the best idea."

You nod. Nero waves.

"Going to bed? All right, g'night. Don't worry, if we end up having to face each other, I'll just play it up for a bit before surrendering. There are three of you and one of me, so I think that you guys take priority when it comes to getting out of here."

You thank Nero for being thoughtful, and then press the button on the disk that you were given.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ol925_SrgXk

You immediately find yourself in a furnished room with two beds and a couch, Snake and Annabelle appear immediately after you. Snake immediately offers to take the couch, and passes out almost instantly after lying down on it; Annabelle does the same upon getting in her bed. You figure that there isn't anything left to do for now, so you follow suit and pass out on your own bed...

.......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnyCap2smms

Another prophetic dream? Weird, you figured that these wouldn't happen now that Annabelle and you aren't sharing a body...huh. The world is distorted, bent and mangled in all sorts of ways. Eyes stare at you from all sorts of places, hands rise up from the ground, and a mouths on signs laugh noiselessly. The woman calls the spear back, causing it to fly out of you and back into her hand. Your eyes open and you quickly sit up in bed, looking around. Snake seems to still be asleep, but Annabelle is wandering about the room. She turns to look at you before tilting her head and speaking.

"Nightmare?"

You explain what you saw.

"That's very strange. Perhaps you merely had a typical nightmare for once though, as prophetic visions tend not to involve corrupt-looking valkyries in distorted hellscapes."

You shrug as Snake wakes up and mutter a "g'murn..."

The three of you head back into the main lobby by using the teleporting disks that you had been given, then you all search for a restaurant. Fortunately, you quickly find a decent restaurant with a plethora of things to choose from.

As the three of you eat, a strange employee whose body is made of tentacles wanders up to your table and gives you a small orb, it then holds up a small sign saying:

"THIS WILL TELEPORT YOUR PARTY TO THE ARENA WAITING ROOM SHORTLY BEFORE YOUR MATCH. YOUR ENTIRE POSSE IS EXPECTED TO PERFORM. YOU HAVE HALF AN HOUR BEFORE IT ACTIVATES."

Looks like you're starting out soon, hopefully you're prepared to fight goblins. Once the tentacle man slinks away, Annabelle speaks up.

"So...uhm, I've been practicing my fighting in my dreams. I uh...I believe that I'll be of some use to you!"

You ask Snake and Annabelle what their skills are. As far as you remember, you have knowledge of several fighting styles, how to use guns, and the fighting knowledge that you got from the man in the castle. Snake strokes his beard.

"I know some CQC and sneaking techniques. I also know my way around guns, knives, and grenades."

Annabelle goes next.

"I uhm...I can twist things!"

Twist things?

"I will show you during the fight!"

Ok...anyway, you bring your group to the entrance of the arena, it seems as though a list of the upcoming fights is shown on a small screen by the entrance. You approach an employee and ask about weapons in fights.

"Ah yes, we provide complimentary weapons to fighters, as some combatants have very little knowledge of hand-to-hand combat, and others simply forgot their weapons at home or lost them along the way. The prep room that you will be transported to before your match will house the - "

And with that, your party is teleported to the prep room.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OadH1Ev5qHk

Looking around the room, you find much better knives than what you're currently carrying, various guns, several spears, axes, a staff or two, and various other weapons. Snake grabs a few grenades, a pistol, and a combat knife, while Annabelle just sits down on a nearby bench and waits.

The first thing that you go for is a shotgun, you then proceed to grab a pistol, a combat knife, and a couple of flammable grenades. The doors to the prep room open shortly after you finish arming yourself, and your group steps into the arena...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEYxYcLi1lc

Your opponent seems to be a single goblin, until...it puts its hands in the air and screams.

"COME, MY BROTHERS! LET US FEAST UPON THESE FOOLS' FLESH!"

Suddenly, your group is surrounded by hundreds of ugly, green manlets armed to the teeth with close-range weapons. You really don't like how they're salivating. One in particular runs at Annabelle with a lecherous look on his face, you have no time to shoot him as he jumps, and then...

CRUNCH!

CRACK!

SNAP!

The goblin's body twists and turns, turning it into a mangled, bloody blob of flesh and bones...you suppose that this is what Annabelle meant by "twisting things." As soon as that goblin lands, the rest begin charging at your group. Your group does a solid job of holding them off, though it almost feels like you're fighting an infinite amount of gobbos. It seems as though their leader (the one that you saw originally) is summoning them somehow.

>Use all of your incendiary grenades to literally "smoke" the leader out.

What I’m thinking is that we use the grendades to create a blazing path to the leader. The main explosion should kill big chunks of the horde and since the gobs are clumped together the fire with quickly spread. In the chaos we rush up, ripping and tearing our way through the goblins until we rip and tear their leader.

You toss your incendiary grenades out into the crowd, eliciting screams of pain and agony from the gobbos. You then scope out a path that seems fairly devoid of fire and begin tearing your way through goblins in the confusion. Eventually, you notice the goblins' leader and grab him by the throat. The goblin leader attempts to shout curses at you as you crush his windpipe, and other goblins attempt to rush you down while you do this, but they're swiftly shot down by Snake, who is currently being covered by Annabelle. Finally, you pull out your knife and plunge it into the goblin leader's forehead, killing him instantly. Upon doing this, the rest of the goblins simply disappear, leaving you, Snake, and Annabelle alone with a bunch of fire before you're all teleported back to the arena's entrance.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfQBJub1rew

Exhausted from tearing through the horde, you fall on your butt; Snake and Annabelle seem to be panting as well. You notice that all of the weapons that you picked up are gone, it's likely that they were all teleported back to the armory somehow. After resting for a bit, you all decide to find a way to pass the time. You check the board that lists upcoming matches, and it seems as though Nero will be having his first match soon.

Your party runs over to a nearby snack store and grabs some food before running back over to the arena to watch Nero's fight. You get there just in time, as Nero walks into the arena, summoning his black sword.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUhVCoTsBaM

His opponent seems to be a powerful-looking man dressed in nothing but a loincloth and some armor, he does a stupid-looking pose before saying:

"WHAMU!"

Nero sighs, looking more irritated than anything. The man poses again and points at Nero.

"I, the mighty WHAMU, am you opponent! Cower in fear and beg for your life, and I may grant you a quick de - "

The man is unable to finish his sentence before Nero's sword extends and slices him in two from the head down. The man reforms himself.

"Rudeness will not be tolerated! ORYAH!!!"

He throws himself at Nero before being stopped by...a wing?!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEKdcjpDq2Q

Nero, seemingly tired of this shit, begins transforming. You quickly realize that he was that armored monster in the dream that you had back in the monster world. Finishing his transformation, Nero roars, sending a shockwave through the arena and causing his opponent to jump back in fear.

"Wh-what ARE you?!"

Nero doesn't answer. Instead his eyes begin glowing violently before shooting a massive beam of energy right through his opponent, tearing through his chest.

"H-haha! Y-you seem to have forgotten that I can rege - "

BOOM!

Everywhere that the beam had touched explodes violently, sending pieces of the muscular man's torso everywhere. Nero quickly skewers the man's head with one of his swords as it flies through the air, before smashing it down on the ground in front of him and stomping it into pieces with a draconic-looking foot. You hear an announcer that you hadn't heard at all during your fight:

"The winner is: The Ragnarok Berserker!"

Nero quickly transforms back before being teleported out of the arena.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lttQ47yZ-5A

You congratulate Nero on his victory.

"Thanks. The guy was kind of a pushover, but I figured that ending it sooner rather than later would've been better for my mental health."

You agree, and follow up by asking about whether or not he has any knowledge of weird prophetic dreams.

"Uh...no? That's kind of a strange question."

You explain the dreams that you've been having.

"O-oh...well, uh...shit. So uh...that first dream with the mist, you were looking through my eyes for that one. That was the first time I was able to confront Lucas after an...incident where I kind of lost my head."

You ask if your other dream has anything to do with that.

"Yup. That was the time when I went berserk, hence the cute nickname they gave me. It's kind of an issue that I don't deal with anymore, but Lucas still holds a grudge over that."

Ouch. That really sucks. You decide to switch gears and ask whether or not he's noticed anything that could be of use.

"Hmm...nope, not that I can think of. Sorry."

You tell him that it's fine, and ask whether or not he knows anything about a distorted world like the one in your most recent dream. He shakes his head.

"Sorry, but I only have memories of the two with Lucas and me in them."

You tell him that it's all good and then say goodbye, as your party leaves to explore. As you enter a casino area, you spot a familiar face at a random bar: Lilith. She seems to just be drinking casually, though she seems rather unhappy. You also spot Lucas wandering about the area.

You take her hand and thank her. While she doesn't smile, she gives a slight grunt that you presume is a "you're welcome." Finally up and face-to-face with her, you ask from why she's here. She seems to struggle for a bit before opening her mouth to speak.

"F...Fuh...fell in..."

You ask if she means that she fell into this dimension, to which she nods vigorously. You ask her exactly where she fell, and she points upwards.

"M-m-made me...this..."

She shows you the mechanical arms, and then points to her neck. So, from what you can gather, she fell somewhere into one of the higher floors, and they gave her mechanical enhancements (one of which probably made it possible for her to speak). You decide to ask why she's been attacking.

"Uh...t-told to...ki...kill you. O-orders..."

From who?

"Uh......duh...don...don't remember..."

Hm. Maybe you could convince her to stop trying to kill you? You ask if she could stop.

"N-no...want to beat you."

She points at you specifically.

"Fair fight."

You don't know how "fair" a fight between you and a super-powered cyborg would be, but at least she has more than just "I was told to kill you, so I will" as a reason for pursuing you now.

Lilith comes bouncing up to your group with a smirk on her face.

She holds up Fran's arm and plays around with it, Fran holds herself back and looks at you.

Good to know. Now you just need to find a way to get rid of Lilith before someone on your team does something that they'll regret.

Lucas summons his katana.

"I could do that if you would like, I have absolutely no qualms with starting a fight here. How do you feel about light magic, demoness?"

He unsheathes his katana a bit, showing off its blade of light. Lilith's eyes go wide and she backs away.

I want to kill Lilith so badly. She’s a bloody coward that runs away at the first sight of real danger but has no restraint for attacking those weaker than her. You thank Lucas, and then follow up by asking about his deal with Nero. Why the hell does he consider us enemies?

"You and Nero are working together in some capacity, are you not?"

Kind of?

"Then you are my enemy. Nero killed many people that were very dear to me, and I have taken it upon myself to judge him. I must go now, as I have...other matters to attend to. Farewell for now, and may God guide you."

And with that, Lucas wanders away.

Fran frowns and crosses her arms.

Annabelle nods. You sigh and tell everyone to just walk with you. Eventually, you all make it back to the entrance of the arena, where you find Nero leaning up against a wall. He waves at you, though doesn't make any move to walk over and talk. You all look over at the roster, and see that you're up against someone by the name of "Duncan" next...weird name, but it shouldn't be too hard, considering that he was lower on the chart than you. Fran's next fight seems to be against someone by the name of "XxBloodKillFuckManxX," which you assume is a nickname given by the casino. Of course, he can use that ability to both stitch others back up, and to take them apart. Be careful when it comes to skin-on-skin contact with this guy, he WILL take you apart. The bright side is that Duncan's not too mean of a guy, so he generally stitches his opponents' wounds up, meaning that having him take an arm or leg off of you doesn't mean that you'll bleed to death, and he's known for stitching body parts back onto his defeated opponents, so no worries if he dismembers you to win, you won't have to worry about dying all that much."

That was...a lot of information. You thank Billy.

"Any time, friend!"

Looks like you'll be fighting an older guy with an ability that can take people apart.

He gives you directions, and your party heads over there.

You ask Fran to teach you some tricks.

"T-tricks?"

Yeah, like fighting moves.

"Hmm...ok...uh...th-this is trick."

She does a quick punch and stops short of a punching bag. Despite this, the punching bag is knocked off of its hinges and flies across the room.

"Goo-good trick?"

...sure, Fran. Sighing, you look over at Snake and ask if he can teach you some CQC, to which he says "sure, why not?" The two of you practice for hours, and you eventually feel as though you've gotten the hang of CQC...

Lilith is a bitch. Df is her problem bro? For real.

Man, I keep wanting to vote but always miss the window. I'm always playing a game or reading something else while the voting session is active. That tears it--next session, I'm in like navel lint. Who got a problem?

Would've voted for this, but instead . . .

You chat with the two while you go out to get food. Just like last time, you're approached by a staff member and given orbs. And, just like last time, you're all teleported to the prep room, though things seem a bit different this time: the shelves holding guns and explosives are completely empty! With nothing to pick up beyond knives, your group walks into the arena where you're met by a tall man whose skin and clothing is randomly patched in multiple places.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MZ1xrDu8Qg

The man stomps out a cigarette as you enter before looking at you and your allies, he seems fairly calm.

"Mornin'. Tha name's Duncan, pleasure ta meet ye. An' sorry in advance fer this..."

For a moment, you see hundreds of stitches on the ground before they disappear completely. Snake suddenly seems distressed.

"I-I can't move my feet!"

Annabelle seems to be in a similar predicament to Snake. It seems as though whatever is going on hasn't affected you.

"Ah've stitched yer feet ta tha groond. Ah want a one on one faight with you."

He points straight at you.

"Howev'r, ah have two conditions. One: If ye can't beat me in ten minutes, then ye'll have ta surrend'r. If ye don't, then ah'll stitch yer feet ta tha groond too, an' then I'll take my time dismembering you an' yer friends. And two: throw away yer weapons, ah want a fair hand-to hand fight; ah won't be usin' mah stitchin' techniques in this fight. If ye don't accept, then I'll just do that now."

You tell Duncan that you accept his conditions as you toss your knife aside.

"Aye. Let's go."

He approaches you carefully until the two of you are almost within striking range before cautiously circling you. You see him eyeing your hands and feet, as though expecting to have to parry, dodge, or block your attacks.

"Well? Ah'm waitin'. Dun f'get yer time limit."

You deliver a headbutt, which connects and seems to daze Duncan for a bit, before delivering a hard kick to his groin, sending him tumbling down to his knees. You take advantage of his position before hitting him in the face with a powerful roundhouse kick, sending him skidding back. Duncan recovers quickly and gives you a glare that pierces your soul before running at you and going for a palm strike to the pit of your stomach, which you dodge. Duncan takes the short amount of time that you're distracted by his strike to shove his fist into the side of your face, knocking you down this time. He lifts a foot to kick you while you're down, but you grab his leg and flip him. As he was not expecting this, Duncan lands improperly and his nose breaks against the ground. You get up and body slam him, and...

Your partners run over to congratulate you as you're all teleported in front of the arena; Duncan, who seems to be recovering, seems to have been teleported along with you. He gets up off of the floor and offers you a handshake, which you accept, before saying "good fight" and limping away in the direction of a bar. You all wander into the arena to watch Fran's fight, and you get inside just in time. Fran's opponent seems to be a pale man wearing all black and carrying a katana. The crowd goes silent as the man begins to speak.

"Well well, look who it is. You know, I was just going to kill you, but I think that I have better plans for you."

Fran looks about as confused as you are, considering that this man is addressing her as though they've met before.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=marMHH6a63g

You're quickly shown why this man is speaking the way that he is, as three tendrils tear through the skin on his back and wrap around Fran. Fran begins breaking away from them, but doesn't have enough time before the man runs over to her and grabs her by the shoulders, he then opens his mouth wider than you've ever seen a human open their mouth as a shadowy creature exits his body...it's Lilith again. As she exits his body, she wraps herself around Fran as Fran struggles to get away.

"SHHHH...DON'T STRUGGLE....YOU'LL BE A LOT STRONGER WITH ME IN CONTROL!"

Fran can't stop the shadowy figure as she fuses with Fran. Eventually, the tendrils coming from the man's back disappear, causing him to collapse. Fran chuckles as she picks up the man's body and proceeds to twist his head off with ease. She then crushes it in her hand and laughs.

"Oh, this is w-wonderful...ech. This new throat is going to be hard to get used to. *ah-hem*"

The crowd cheers as you hear that same announcer say:

"The winner is: Bunnystein!"

Fran/Lilith is teleported out of the arena as some employees come out and clean up the gore left by her. You swear that you saw her look right at you before she was teleported out.

You head over to the bar and find Duncan with a drink in his hand. Upon noticing you, he motions for your party to come on over and sit with him, which you do.

"Ah saw tha match. Tha bunneh was one'a yers, wasn't she?"

You say that she was kind of a rival.

"Ah see. Awful shit regardless."

He orders you and your friends some drinks (making sure to get something non-alcoholic for Annabelle, of course). Then you ask him about learning his techniques.

"Hah! S'rry ta disappoint, boot mah techniques're unique."

He puts his hands up, and you see shadowy tendrils come out from beneath his fingernails.

"Nat'ral stitches."

You ask if he could join your group.

"No sir. S'rry tah disappoint ye, boot ah've had enough fightin' fer one tournament."

Damn. You take a sip of your drink and watch a nearby television, where you see Nero entering the arena. A man in a suit enters from the other side shortly after, grinning from ear to ear.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ1rxVbD0u4

After supposedly attempting to do so several times, as the man stands and grins at him, Nero gives up on attempting to transform and just extends his sword, trying to cut the man horizontally. The strike connects, but it seems to just go through the man. After being attacked, the man runs at Nero and delivers a jumping kick, which Nero blocks. You hear a voice next to you:

"Hmph. That fool seems to think that he has a chance of winning."

Lucas somehow appeared right next to you at the bar while you were watching. You ignore him for now and look back at the screen, where Nero is on the defensive, blocking strike after strike with his arms. Eventually, he gets a hit in and stabs the man through the heart, causing absolutely no damage. The blocking resumes for the next few minutes, until...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEk-mDH0gvk

...the man just stops. He signals to the audience that he gives up, and you hear booing from the television. Nero looks extremely confused as he and the man are teleported from the arena. You look over at Lucas, who looks absolutely fucking pissed.

"Tch. Bastard..."

Duncan chuckles as he takes a swig of his drink.

You ask Duncan and Lucas about Lilith. Duncan shrugs, and Lucas sighs.

"She is what is called a 'nightmare,' an abomination created by the fears of humanity. Light magic tends to be fairly effective against her, though now that she has taken a body for herself, she will be even more difficult to take down. That coward now has incredible power, and I fear that she may be planning to cause some chaos within the facility."

That doesn't bode well for your near future. You ask him about his weapons and fighting style.

"Do you truly believe that I would reveal anything about myself to friends of Nero's? You truly are fools...though I will let you know this: Nero and I are the same kinds of beings, and I have a secondary form similar to his. Though instead of enhancing my defenses (like his), mine enhances my speed and power. Pray that you do not have to face me in a battle, for if you do, you will all be dead within seconds of witnessing my other form."

With that Lucas gets up and walks away. You bid Duncan goodbye and head back over to the arena, where you find Nero and his opponent chatting happily. Nero waves you over.

"Hey, guys. What's new?"

You tell him about Fran.

"Oh...shit. That ain't good. Well, if it's any consolation, I'll see if I can travel with you guys once we've all made it out of this hellhole. Hopefully, having me on your side will keep that bitch away."

The suited man walks over to you and puts out his hand.

"I don't believe we've met. The name's Blackman, Mr. Blackman. Pleasure to meet you, buddy."

You shake his hand, and ask about him giving up.

"I figured that this big guy..."

He puts his hand on Nero's shoulder.

"...was worthy of carrying on in the tournament, because he's just so cool! Don't you think so, pal?"

You figure that you agree.

"Anyway, I've gotta go do some personal things. You kids have fun!"

And with that, he's gone...like, gone gone. He teleported out of there in the blink of an eye. Nero scratches the back of his head.

"Weird dude...uh...where were we?"

You shrug.

"Right..."

BOOM! CRASH! SMASH!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POs1VHw2zQk

The entire building shakes. You see people running around screaming, and several employees begin randomly dropping dead around you. Nero summons his sword.

"What the hell is going on?"

The ceiling above you begins falling down, but Annabelle twists the debris into nothing. Snake looks around cautiously.

"Maybe we can use this chaos to move up the building...Nero, how well can that other form of yours fly?"

Nero looks a bit nervous.

"Decently well, though it leaves me a bit drained after using it. If there's something strong tearing the place up the - "

"Guys! I'm glad that I found you!"

It's Billy! He seems to be one of the only employees that's still alive, you ask him about why he hasn't just died yet.

"The other employees' immortality comes from phylacteries that house their souls, those grant their bodies immortality, though breaking those phylacteries causes instant death. I'm one of the few employees who isn't immortal, because I didn't feel comfortable doing that to my soul."

Makes sense. So whatever's wreaking havoc is destroying those phylacteries.

"Exactly. Here, this isn't something that I'm suppose to do, but use these buttons to teleport yourselves to the top floor. There's a portal that'll get you out of here, though it'll send you all to random places if you go in one-by-one, so hold hands when you go through it. I'm going to go fight off the thing tearing this place apart!"

As if hearing him say this, something smashes in through a nearby ceiling: Fran/Lilith. You notice that she's removed her eyepatch, and an ominous, white glow is emanating from her right eye.

"Ah! There you are!"

Billy takes up a fighting stance.

"Go now! You're no match for this thing!"

Suddenly, a flash of light dashes past you and stops next to Billy: it's Lucas!

"There she is...hmph. Nero! I will kill you, and those who stand by you! But at the moment, I have no greater wish than to take down this abomination! Now go! Go and live another day, while I sharpen my blade on the bones of the she-demon that seeks to kill us all!"

You press the fuck out of your button, and are instantly teleported to a hallway, where Nero and Annabelle are waiting, Snake appears right by you. Your group tests the only two doors in the hallway, and only manages to open one, which houses a large, glowing portal. Nero gives a pleased grunt and holds out his hand.

"Let's get out of here."

You take his hand, and Annabelle takes yours. Snake grabs her other hand, and your group walks through the portal...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO6D6khvYXE

You find yourself in...where the hell are you? The area is carpeted, the walls are covered with wallpaper, the ceiling is typical for an office or cheap apartment hallway, and the only sound that you can hear is the sound of the lights...did you just hear a knock? No. It was just your imagination...Nero frowns.

"What the hell is this place?"

He delivers a punch to a nearby wall, and his fist goes through it about as easily as one would expect. Looking through the hole just reveals more rooms. Snake gives a sigh.

"Looks like we're stuck in some sort of bizarre hallway world. Hey Nero, try breaking the ceiling."

Nero summons his sword, but is unable to make much more than a small dent in the ceiling. He tries the floor, but that results in nothing beyond ruining the carpet. Annabelle's powers don't seem to work on the ceiling or carpet either. Snake sighs.

"I guess that we'll have to wander for a while."

Seems as though that's the only option right now...! You quickly turn around in time to see something move out of sight from the hole that Nero's fist made...not only are you not alone, but you are most definitely being watched.

You ask Nero if he can detect anything with his magic.

"My uh...magic I guess, doesn't work that way. The most that I can do is summon swords, and shoot eye beams when I transform."

You ask Annabelle.

"I feel...nothing. This area is dead, and there is absolutely nothing 'living' in it. I sense no presences, despite occasionally hearing a knocking or walking sound. I believe that, if there IS anything within the area, it is not alive."

Ah shit. You decide to travel to the left for now...

............................................

It's been hours since you started walking, but you aren't even sure if you've made all that much progress. As you walk, you begin to notice things that you hadn't before: moist spots on the carpets, strange liquid splatters on the wall that are hard to notice without looking closely, figures at the end of hallways that disappear when you get too close. Suddenly, you see a door and run over to it, though you can't get a good grip on the handle. Snake calls out to you.

"What the hell are you doing, kid?"

You're about to explain that the door in front of you won't open, until...you look in front of you. There is no door. There never was a door. What the hell is going on with you? Annabelle walks up to you and puts her hand on yours...and you suddenly feel slightly more sane.

"Are you ok now?"

You look at her and nod. She gives you a big smile, and your group continues on. Several more hours go by, and you all stop...wait a minute. You look around and notice that Nero is missing. What the hell happened to him? Snake speaks up.

"Strange. I swear that he was right next to me this entire time. Someone that tall doesn't just walk away without being noticed..."

Annabelle looks around with a worried look on her face.

Your group runs back the way it came. As you do, you mention to Snake and Annabelle that you should be speaking almost constantly in order to make sure that you know that you're all together. After a while, you all stop. You have been unable to find Nero despite running for hours...

"Guys? Are you there? Hello? Guys?"

Nero's voice...but something about it feels...off. You mention this to your companions, and they nod. You look around a corner from which you hear the voice, and...

"Guys? Is that you? Guys? Guys? Guys? Guys? Guys?..."

Snake runs at them, cutting the monsters apart with a knife while you do your best to tear them into pieces with your bare hands. Annabelle does what she can before being attacked by one that she can't stop in time...

You ask Lucas about the fight at the casino.

"It went about as poorly as you can imagine. I didn't bother transforming, because that man fighting alongside me gave me a button similar to yours shortly after you had used them. The man was badly injured, but I escaped in time. I would have stuck around if it wasn't for him insisting that I save myself..."

He looks a little sad about that. Annabelle grabs your hand tightly, and mentions that you should all keep moving, to which you agree...

.....

..........

..........................................

...how long has it been? A day? Two days? Your group has been wandering for an extremely long time, and yet you don't feel hungry, thirsty, or exhausted. Annabelle does her best to keep you all sane as you proceed, though you feel as though you've made no progress at all. Eventually, you turn a corner...

...and you find yourself in what looks to be an abandoned mall. As you walk further in, you notice that the entrance from the other area has disappeared somehow. Lucas gives an annoyed "tch," and Snake lights up a cigarette. Suddenly, you hear footsteps.

"Fucking finally! I've been looking for you guys forever!"

Nero runs over to your group and stops as he sees Lucas.

"Uh...h-hey there, Lucas. Nice to uh...see you?"

Lucas rolls his eyes.

"Don't bother with pleasantries."

Nero sighs dejectedly.

"Right, whatever."

You suggest that you all keep moving, and Nero perks up.

"Good call! Let's get out of he - "

The mall's sound system turns on...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGQzQrMQEo8

Annabelle grabs onto you tightly as the music plays, Snake and Nero both look distressed, and Lucas just crosses his arms and glares at the nearest speaker...though you can see his hands shaking. You suggest that you all begin moving, and the rest of the group agrees. You carry Annabelle on your shoulders as you progress, and Lucas emits a bit of extra light from his body, supposedly to make it easier to stay together...the speakers begin playing a different song, though this one is significantly more out of key, making it a lot more disturbing than initially intended.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVDWrNcaAA0

In addition to this, you hear tapping coming from all over. It sounds like footsteps, though you can't make out any living beings other than your group in the darkness of the mall. The area is less confusing than the last, making you less worried about losing each other if you all forget to talk for a while, though it is significantly more labyrinthine. Eventually, you come across a humanoid figure in the middle of a plaza-like area. It seems to be shaking, showing that it is most definitely alive, though you aren't sure exactly how human it is.

You sneak around the creature, leaving it alone to listen to the music while it stays huddled up. As you proceed, you realize that it is surrounded by human bones and small pools of blood. Your group takes care not to step on either as they pass by. As you run down another hallway in the mall, you begin to hear the tapping of footsteps, though the beat at which they walk is unnervingly uneven. As the lights illuminate its body, you're more or less able to figure out what the creature is: a human, or at least you think that it is, dressed in board shorts, flip flops, and a strange mask with an crude drawing of a fly's face in orange paint. Its body's proportions are all wrong, and you swear that you see movement around its stomach. It takes a couple more steps forward and reaches a hand out at you.

Yeah let’s not touch the thing but also not be actively hostile
>Quietly ask the party if they can use magic to sense its intentions (such as if it’s evil or not)
>Greet it.

You take a step back, and ask your party if any of them can sense hostility. Before she can finish saying that she'll give it a try, Annabelle collapses onto her knees and vomits all over the floor.

"O-oh god...it...th-that...kill it! KILL IT!"

The thing lets out a moan as the area right below its chest opens up, revealing a massive mouth. Two tongues with hands at the ends snake their way out of the mouth and fly right at you. You manage to block one...or at least, you think you did; as you knock the tongue out of the way, it snakes its way around you and wraps you up, grabbing your face with the hand part in an attempt to suffocate you. You hear the sound of Lucas' sword being unsheathed as the grip on your face loosens, and the tongue falls. The creature lets out a massive scream, causing the speaker system to stop playing music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2y7DMIGvkY

It lets out another scream as the tongue that Lucas cut retreats back into its body, only to be replaced by a new one...you hear another voice.

"..oh? You found new friends to play with? Good boy, Gluttony. Keheh...haha.....HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!"

Another masked figure forms behind your party, though this one seems to be made entirely of shadows. You hear constant laughter emanating from it, though the laughter sounds like hundreds of thousands of separate voices. Shadowy tendrils begin to grow out of the ground around the thing as the other one (now known as Gluttony, you guess) prepares to attack again. Nero summons his own sword and extends its blade enough to the point where it hits Gluttony's head as he swings it down...

...but it doesn't cut through. The blade slams down onto the abomination's head, but it barely makes a dent.

"This thing's tough, holy shit."

Lucas gets into a position as his body is engulfed by light. The shadowy figure seems to move back a bit as this happens, though many other shadowy figures with equally disturbing smiles begin appearing out of the ground.

"Humans! Nero and I will cut a path for you! These abominations may be a bit much for you..."

Large feathered wings sprout from Lucas' back, Nero also begins his transformation while this happens.

"...but we may be able to take them down."

Lucas and Nero, now fully transformed, prepare to attack.

"Now, the second that Nero attacks that disgusting large-mouthed beast, run past it and don't look back!"

Sticking around might also cause you to get in the way of Nero's massive attacks, though running could permanently cause you to lose them as party members.

>Run! Run and don't look back!

>Tell Snake and Annabelle to run instead.

>Stay.

I see no other option than to run right now, but maybe we can do a fighting retreat.
>Pick up and carry Anna
>Ask Anna if she can twist them while we wait for Nero to attack and while we are running away
>Ask Snake if he has any gear like an explosive to throw and the beasts

You pick Anna up and begin carrying her on your back. You attempt to ask her to twist the enemies, but she seems a bit too shaken by this whole thing to listen to you. You ask Snake if he has any explosives, and he shakes his head.

"Sorry, kid. Looks like running's all we can do right now."

Shit. Nero roars as he blasts Gluttony right in the mouth with an eye beam, though the beam just kind of disappears into the mouth, so only the parts of the beam that touched its lips and tongues explode. That buys you and Snake enough time to run around the thing and further into the mall. You run for so long, that you lose track of how long you'd been running, only stopping when the noise of that shadow monster's laughter fades...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D__6hwqjZAs

The speakers go on again, playing something a bit more low-key this time around. Exhausted, you set Annabelle down and collapse. Snake sits down next to you and lights a cigarette, he gives Annabelle a pat on the head.

"How are you holding up, kid?"

Annabelle takes a deep breath.

"B-better...phew. That was...terrifying."

You hear some footsteps behind you and quickly whip around to find a man in a suit. Despite not seeming too terribly friendly, he doesn't seem entirely mean either.

"Another lost group of explorers, I presume? *sigh* I suppose that we should get the pleasantries out of the way, since it seems as though we have that opportunity. *ah-hem* My name is Randolph Carter, I am an author and explorer. Would you all be so kind as to tell me your names?"

You tell him yours, and Snake and Annabelle follow suit.

"Pleasure to meet you all. Now, I suppose that you are all lost within this hellish labyrinth. While I do not know the exact way out of this place, I do know of a dimensional portal that can take you out of here. I know of two paths: a faster, more dangerous path, and a longer and safer one."

You tell the man that you'd like to take the slower route.

"Hm. Not exactly what I would have chosen, but I assume that encountering the horrors of this place are probably quite taxing on the mind and body. Very well then, follow me."

He immediately starts moving, and you all follow him. As you continue moving, he begins to speak about monsters and anomalies that he had encountered within this area, and that he believes that this area makes copies of those monsters from other universes to use for the sake of tormenting visitors. Though he's unaware of why it would do that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeoRCVKMKMA

An even more modern song begins playing over the speakers, causing Carter to gaze up at the speakers with distaste; Annabelle seems to like it though. She looks up at you.

"H-hey...I'm worried that something might happen to me at some point. If I'm killed or...something else happens, then p-please don't blame yourself."

Snake sighs.

"Don't worry about it, kid. You won't be dying at any point during this adventure."

She looks down, obviously a little bothered by that.

"R-right...thank you, Snake."

Carter seems to just ignore your conversation until it's over, and then he goes back to telling you about the monsters that he's found in this area. He explains that the shadowy being that you found earlier is apparently nearly impossible to kill, though it is extremely weak to light, which is why it hangs around this particular area. The other masked thing, which you remember is known as "Gluttony," has a propensity for devouring travelers, though Carter has no idea where they go. As for the humanoid from earlier, all Carter knows is that looking at its face causes it to go berserk, so it's a good thing that you didn't do that. He explains that he hasn't found any other anomalies within this area, and he assumes that it's because the three that exist here are far too volatile to warrant more existing in the area.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mldUli-ZhI

........

...................

It takes a while, but you finally make it to the portal. You wander into the old toy store in which it's situated before Carter stops you.

"I almost forgot."

He reaches into a bag that he's apparently had this entire time, and hands you each a piece of bread.

"Eat these before heading through that portal."

You do just that, despite your lack of appetite.

"Your lack of sleep will immediately affect you as you exit, so you will all be knocked unconscious immediately after exiting this area. I am unsure as to why being within here does not cause individuals to immediately starve upon exiting, but consuming something is still a good idea, as you may be unconscious for a while, and having some food in your body will help with retaining a bit of strength upon waking...I know that it makes absolutely no sense..."

He sighs and begins walking away.

"Safe travels and all that."

What a strange man.

Weird. Strange. Bizarre. Those are all words that can be used to describe her world. THEIR world. There are only a couple of her left, so you have to be careful with how you treat her (or them). Where are you? You're not sure. She's not sure. They aren't sure. All you know is that everything is going to die. Yes, everything. Not everyone, everything. Reality is dead, it's going to die because of her, because of them. You can't stop it, she can't stop it, they can't stop it. You're doomed...

...ah!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNTwYzoFzck

You wake up in a shallow pool of water. As you stand up, you notice that you're in some sort of cave, though this one is illuminated quite well by various glowing mushrooms and crystals...in fact, the very water here seems to glow a bit. You hope and pray that it isn't irradiated as you look around for your friends.

"Oh, you're awake."

You quickly turn around to see Annabelle sitting on a rock, she smiles as you notice her. You ask about Snake, and she gives you a frown.

"I haven't seen him...sorry."

Looking around some more, you see nothing. Great, another abandoned world; at least this one seems less eerie than the last one.

You ask Annabelle if she's going ok.

"I uhm...I th-think so..."

Good enough, you guess. You pick Annabelle up and walk through the path covered in mushrooms. As you walk, Annabelle hums a tune that you don't recognize. When you ask what she's humming, Annabelle apologizes and says that she doesn't remember.......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTZGe9z3MqI

You come to the end of the path: a cliff overlooking a sea of stormy clouds. Standing at the edge of the cliff, you see a significantly less monstrous Lilith, a large coffin floating beside her. You're about to turn back to retreat a bit, before she turns out and smirks.

"Well well, look who it is...don't worry, I don't plan on hurting you for the time being, you don't have to be on your guard."

Easy for her to say...Annabelle hops off of your back and hides behind your leg. Lilith seems to be eyeing Annabelle hungrily.

"So...I've got a story and a proposition for you. I'll tell you the story first..."

She clears her throat.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ9Daf-ODBY

"Once upon a time, there was a young girl. This young girl lived a happy life with her loving mother and hardworking father. She loved both of her parents very much.

One day, there came news of a crisis sweeping the nation. A 'depression' is what the young girl's father called the situation. Of course, the poor little girl wasn't aware of what a 'depression' was, so she cared very little about it; so long as she could spend more happy days with her loving parents, she would be happy...of course, as most would have guessed, that is not how things played out.

The girl did not think about how strange it was for her father to be home at this hour, and rushed over to the room...

...inside, she found the corpse of her mother, being defiled by her crazed father as he ate her face. The girl called out to her father, only to realize what he had been doing all too late. Upon hearing his sweet daughter's voice, the father turned around and, seeing no other option, strangled her to death as she stared into his crazed eyes.

That girl.......she was revived into two separate pieces: her body...and her broken mind. And that is where our story begins...Annabelle. You see, Lilith is simply a cover name that I used within that cursed monster world to hide my true identity. My real name is also Annabelle, as I am the same person as that girl hiding behind you."

She snaps, and the coffin floating besides her opens to reveal an unconscious Snake.

"All I want is to be whole again. If giving you back the rabbit and the reptile is all I need to do, then I'm more than willing to give them back."

Annabelle seems confused by the whole ordeal...

"I...d-don't know what to do...uhm uh....y-y-you decide for me! P-please!"

Lilith sighs and crosses her arms.

"Very well. It's your choice: give me Annabelle, or..."

She moves the floating coffin over the ledge.

Well lads its seems that we're backed into a corner with only one option...

>Frown
>Sadly, nod your head at Anna
>Mutter "I guess I have no choice"
>Defeatedly, approach Lilith
>...
>Remember all the trails, training, and fighting we have done
>Remember everything Lilith has done, attack us, kill Jill, kill the plant people, mock Jill's death, attack/control Fran, butcher people in the casino
>GET FUCKING ANGRY
>RIP AND TEAR
>We've seen how both Lilith and Fran attack and that means we can DODGE HER
>Get Anna to 'twist'' Fran or Lilith if she stops inhabiting Frans body. Ranged magic attacks > creepy tentacle physical attacks after all.
>During the combined assault tell Anna to use any Light based attacks if she knows any
>While Lilith inhabits Frans body stay in her personal space, she punches people by punching the air right before her target.
>While she is in Fran's body aim to tear off her arms, legs, then head (I'm sorry Fran but I don't think you will survive this encounter, I doubt Snake will either)
>If she separates from Fran's body immediately get to work ripping and tearing those tentacles while Anna 'twists' them
>While she is in her true form aim to tear of tentacles and throw them far away to decrease her body mass.

Either she will kill Snake immediately or lose control and he might be able to join the fight. we have no reason to believe that she will let any of us go once she is fully formed all that will do is make her more powerful having both physical and magical attacks and likely more sadistic, Ed even said that Annabelle is someone to avoid and 100% Annabelle is gonna be even worse.

I see only two options for this encounter, Either MC and Anna lives (and maybe Snake) and Lilith dies, or Lilith lives and we all die. And here I thought this was supposed to be the easy route.

"Not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting you to just up and punch me. You've got guts, I'll give you that much...but you're still an idiot."

The coffin holding Snake plummets to the ground, disappearing between the clouds down below. As Annabelle turns to run, tentacles wrap around her legs, tripping her and pulling her towards Lilith.

"What? Did you really think that you could 'rip and tear' me like those other weirdos? Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not exactly a 'monster' per say...after all, I was human at one point."

Bwuh?! You awaken at the bottom of a dark pit, alone and bleeding from your side. As your eyes adjust to the darkness, you notice Snake (or Snake's body?) lying in the wreckage of the coffin that he was in, and Fran's body, which seems to still be in good condition. Upon inspection, both of them are still alive!...though they're both unconscious.

"Hey there, pal. You all right?"

You hear a man's voice somewhere beside you.

"Oh, sorry about that, let me grab a light."

And with that, a large flame appears by a well-dressed man who you recognize as...Mr. Blackman!

"How're you feeling, friend? Hopefully that reality bender didn't try any mind-based attacks on you, those'd be a lot harder to deal with than a flesh wound."

You tell him that you're fine...wait, reality bender?

"Oh yeah, that Annabelle chick....well, in her true form, she can bend and warp reality. Scary stuff.....so, uh.....d'you want to go home?"

What? Go home?

"Well, yeah. I mean, this dimension is pretty close to where you originally came from; with my powers, I could easily send you back. Though, if you really want to, I could use those same powers to give you and your buddies a boost that could help with beating up Annabelle, and I could send her to her current location. I'm only willing to use this much power once, so you'll have to make the choice here. If you want to go back home, then it's no big deal, someone else'll end up having to deal with Annabelle. But if you want to fight her, you'll have to find your way back after beating her up...and if you lose, I'm not going to be there to save you. Your choice, buddy."

Suddenly, you hear a thunking sound.

"Oh yeah, I brought him here, too."

As you look around, you notice the massive form of Nero lying on the ground.

"Figured that it might help to have him if you do end up fighting Anna."

Unlike the last quest I don’t think the main point of this quest was to get the MC and the main trio back home. I feel this group feels much more comfortable going through reality loops for the main fact that they don’t even remember their original hone except for some vague feelings and muscle memory of what their good at, hell the the group could all be clones for all we know and not the originals. The only person that I felt really needed to go home was Jill, and she’s dead now. Defeating Annabelle or originally Lilith in the other hand has always been a main goal for the group. I mean would this group really be satisfied knowing that they left their problems and their revenge for someone else?

You agree to let Blackman power your team up in order to fight off Annabelle.

"Great! I'll even throw in any missing memories that you may have! Good luck, pal!"

As he disappears, you feel everything rushing back. You now have a deep understanding of hand-to-hand combat in addition to physical power-ups granted by magic. Fran, Snake, and Nero all get up, and you explain to them what the current situation is. Once you're finished, an ominous red portal appears in front of you. You ask everybody if they're ready to go, and Snake nods.

"Never been more ready in my life."

Nero summons his sword.

"Funny thing is that I vaguely remember Annabelle from my world...though I guess that it doesn't matter too much right now, since I don't really know anything about her powers..."

Fran looks pissed.

"Kill...her..."

With that, she dashes into the portal, and the rest of you follow suit.

You exit into the world from your dreams: it's distorted, bent and mangled in all sorts of ways. Eyes stare at you from all sorts of places, hands rise up from the ground, and mouths on signs laugh noiselessly. In the sky, you see a woman flying using a pair of large, webbed hands that resemble wings, she holds a massive spear...that must be her. You call out to Annabelle, and she looks down at you.

"Oh! I honestly expected you all to be dead! Good...good! I get to play with all of you now!"

The earth around Fran's feet cracks as she opens her mouth. The glow in her right eye reaches a fever pitch as she blasts a massive, white beam of energy from her mouth at Annabelle...looks like this is what her eyepatch had been sealing off. Nero, now fully transformed, roars and flies directly at Annabelle, clashing with her as she dodges Fran's beams. You and Snake look at each other and nod, he begins climbing a building as you hop onto another one's roof in a single leap...

You summon blades of light in either hand and get a running start, before making a massive leap towards Annabelle. As you spin towards her, you take aim and throw all of the knives.

"KUH - AH.. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

Annabelle lets out a deafening scream as the blades pierce her flesh, causing pink blood to go flying everywhere. Nero follows up with a massive eye beam, aiming directly at the base of her wings. As the spots where the beams hit begin to glow, Snake throws a huge amount of grenades at Annabelle, which explode upon contact with the explosions from Nero's eye beams. Fran lets loose one final massive beam of light from her mouth, completely engulfing Annabelle....

"It was nice meeting you...hopefully we can meet again..."

...then everything goes black. Upon waking, you find yourself a grassy hill, with nobody around except for...

The sky begins to turn gray and you hear lightning, as the wind around you begins to pick up. You throw off your top and assume a fighting stance. Fran takes a deep breath before charging straight at you at an almost bullet-like speed, but you manage to block her first punch with your palm...seems as though you kept a decent amount of the physical strength that Blackman's powers gave you, as you believe that punch would've just knocked your hand off otherwise. You counter with an uppercut, which sends Fran flying upwards a bit, then you follow it up with a roundhouse that knocks her back a few feet. Fran digs her feet into the ground around her to stop herself from flying too far, before running at you again; though this time, when you block a punch similar to the last one, she follows it up with a fist to your face that knocks you down the hill a bit...she's learning quickly. As you get up, Fran's already jumping at you, forcing you to block a flying stomp that causes a tiny shockwave around the point of impact. Not letting her go, you grab her leg and toss her right into the hill. Normally, that would break a human's neck, but Fran is particularly durable (as you've seen). Hell yeah, we got another epic conclusion to Deep Journey. I’m going to be honest I enjoyed this quest more than the last one, even though I think it’s kinda hard to compare the two, because although they have the same concept this quest was a totally different experience. Compared to the meat grinder that was DJ1, DJ2 felt somewhat easier, I would contribute this fact to a couple of key points that are as follows: MC is a competent fighter, stronger allies, no/very little elderich intriegue, party isn’t rushing to get home, they are not always on a mad dash away from enemy’s much stronger than them (they can usually match up to these enemy’s in strength), and less hostile dimensions. This can also be seen through the DJ2 party kill count were shockingly more people are alive than dead.

Though I’m not going to say you were pulling punches, it wouldn’t be DJ if you were, since characters are still able to die in the span of one update (ex. Jill). I personally enjoyed having a encounters that were more fair towards the party in this quest (since the party was composed of some serious badasses) and I feel that really differentiated it from DJ1, which had a heavier tone and almost everything surpassed the party in strength.

Character interacts and dialog was once again a highlight of the quest, and something I feel you reall excel at QM. Combat was also really enjoyable to plan out and participate in, as well as other solutions to problems like sneaking or running away. The only thing I wish for would be for more anons to vote with me and in turn experience this amazing quest.

And once again I’ll be on the lookout for anything you put out in the future.

I actually held off on killing characters a lot this time, because a lot of the times where I felt like doing that felt like they'd be kills for shock value that would hurt the overall plot rather than help it. I do appreciate that you liked the character interactions, those have always been something that I've struggled with, and I even brought in some characters from a separate thing that I've been working on to make them easier on myself.

Thanks for sticking around for the whole thing, by the way. I (literally) couldn't have finished this without you, and I appreciate it. I also wish that more people would've participated, but I guess that it wasn't exactly everybody's cup of tea or whatever.

Getting back into digital drawing with this quest burnt me out a bit, but I'll probably be back (hopefully with better-quality doodles for whatever I do next). I won't promise anything, but I have had a fun idea that's a bit different from the last few quests that I've done, so we'll see what happens whenever I decide to do that.

Holy shit, QM. Another good one. I had a dark space of my own to battle so I went ghost for a while so as to not spoil the quest. But I have returned and did read and once again...you've got the juice. I prefer DJ1, merely because it felt more urgent. The MC and the party had to get back home once their memories were restored. They had to get back by any means necessary. I also prefer DJ1 for the characters. The eldrich gods were a nice touch and you really characterised them well. Like the other guy said, you're pretty good at dialogue which is similar to my own writing style (very dialogue heavy) and characterisation.

What can I say? The references were on point, the memes ever-present, and all in all, you made a good story. I hope you return for more quests in the very near future--drawing or otherwise--and give us yet another delicious treat of a quest to devour. I've before that I'm not keen on your treatment of others in a personal sense, but you've got talent. I just hope that you see that someday, and can apply that talent to improving yourself as an individual to become a better person. Because if your development was even half as good as your writing you'd be an epic person.

Please come back soon man.

Thanks for continuing to vote, even when fuckheads like me were too depressed and lazy to vote and read. I'm glad I came back.
