Hey /qst/, whats the highest quality, finished quests I can binge on suptg? I can only reread HMQ and Banished so many times.
>>
It could be this thread, start writing

Snakecatcher quest is a great read. But
quests are never almost finished. I have plenty of unfinished recommendations though. Was Banished Quest actually finished? I can't even remember anymore.

Black company

Those have been my favorites so far, you can filter the quest on that page and find some good ones too

Decent supernatural teen drama:

>>
>>4656118
It's not finished but read With Great Power quest. Very solid writing with an unusual dedication to running real sessions as opposed to 1 update a day maximum.
>>
>>4656118
Read Created. It was an amazing drawquest that was active from beginning to end all over the summer of 2019. The QM did sessions every night with as many as a dozen posts per night. The art was amazing when you consider it only took him an hour to make each one. The creator then made a sequel but sadly got burnt out on the second thread.

http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=created
(ignore the thread at the top, it has nothing to do with it)
>>
>>4656310
Oh yeah I read that back not too long ago, Ungluck was such a cool design!
>>
Oversized Weapon Quest was pretty fun
>>

Is this sustainable on /qst/? Thought this was basically dead after losing /tg/ traffic, unless you already had a huge following.

What a trip down memory lane.
fine quest in hindsight, and a good re-read, but damn was it an autistic shitstorm to live through.
Shadow Quest form the same era is another good one.
>>
>>4656118
I'm not going to recommend finished quests, since I've never found one.

But Death among the stars was great, one of the only science fantasy settings I can think of, with even it's inspiration destiny being less so.

Hive queen quest, it's like death among the stars but more soft sci-fi than sci-fa. Still got similar quality of writing and actually uses the same system for both of them. The QM's were big friends.

My other recommendation is Artificer quest. Had a few great "arcs" and a lot of good memes, but it sort off lost momentum in the last 3 threads
>>
>>4656586
I never got the salt attached to the quest. But yeah good read.

Not finished but great read. Died due to autism like everything.

>>4656118
Shadow Quest
Dragon Quest (the really old one)
Commander Quest

There is also one whose name I can't remember about a mega corporation in a post apocalyptic setting. It had a motto something like for tomorrow or something.

Oh, hey, September 2019 is missing my quest. http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=drowned%20quest%20redux

The original Drowned Quest is on there, but Redux is very distinct from it, and at this point has run for about 4x longer.
>>
>>4657738
Thanks. I only read to Chryssa rejection. The wife arguments after that became unbearable and I lost interest. Still, dreaded the thought that it might've become fetish shit afterwards.
This thread reminds me. I ran a quest a few years ago. Don't remember if it was archived, but I'll dig around and check. Wasn't very good, but as it's difficult for me to get a game, might as well run one here sometimes.
It won't be quality, and it'll take a while (since I'm using this for my writing/ttrpgs/quest threads, I'm going all out. It's got a clong n shit), but, really, this board needs some activity.
>>
>>4657744
Got it, might as well begin with 2020.
>>
>>4657748
Update: I don't think it was ever archived, but I found the Google doc. If anyone is interested, I can share the general story and some stuff about the conlang, plus whatever I remember from running the game itself. Not that interesting, but might act as a warning from a few things.

A Quest where the QM does their homework, fills in the gaps in the plot, and basically makes a Bleach quest that fits the canon timeline without including additional plot holes and bullshit.

homeless mutant quest, one of the best ones to ever be made on this shit site. genuinely full of soul, you could tell the qm actually had some life experience. RIP.
>>
>>4656200
One of the best quests this site has ever produced. Seriously, it's so worth the read even though it's unfinished and will probably stay that way. Set in an alternate Marvel comics universe.
>>
>>4656118
Peter Parker Quest, but the ending was pretty shit thanks to low rolls
>>
>>4660147
>a Bleach quest that fits the canon timeline without including additional plot holes and bullshit.
Except they add in a bunch of gods, a bunch of extra nonsense Soul Societies, and it's a lesbian mary sue power fantasy. Hell, every one of this QM's quests is like that (besides the lolicon one), including the current two. Avoid this quest and its QM like the plague.

Still a little sad about Banished Quest. Have a few I really enjoyed, its rare any were finished. Best finished quest probably being Shadow Quest. One that got close, Totemist Quest. The first one that hooked me on this site was about a tax collector that got dragged into this paranormal investigating world. Think it was litterally Tax Collector quest but it was years ago now and I'm not sure.

I wish I remembered. He self-published it as an ebook on Amazon.
I didn't think it was bad. Amazon review harped on about the author being a homophobe, though, because the MC casually called his friend a faggot when they were messing around.

Shadow Quest was great until it went full rails after a certain point, and the twist was shitty.
>>
>>4663627
I didn't mind it too much at the time, and I don't imagine new readers would notice anything but the most overt railroading when reading an already-finished quest.

I wish we at least got to Elaudia I’m Banished, was so keen to take on Elaudia-Mik. We were finally getting to the level where we could explore the more hectic parts of the story, but desu I think we were flying to close to the sun, the QM said he did all the world building on the spot and it was obvious he had nothing planned for Elaudia.

Banished Quest remains my all time fav, runners up include snakecatcher and totemist

every time I look at this fucking catalog and see bland boring quests shoveled out with repetition and no soul and I wish I could personally wrangle the neck of this fucking asian moot for giving in to microdick warhammer faggots who screamed hard enough to cause a board split, but if crusty ever returns to this board I will move on and embrace him

First quest I ever read, and is actually finished.

>Lamia Legacy Quest
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Lamia%20Legacy%20Quest
One of the readers of LDQ started up a sequel quest of sorts, though it never caught my attention like LDQ. Last thread was in June of '19, looking at the archives.

Deniable Assets Quest was great fun and technically 'finished', though it was rather abrupt due to QM health issues. Still, it had some degree of closure, which is more than most quests can say.
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Deniable%20Assets%20Quest

I rather enjoyed Strike Witches '89, for what it was. Not a fan of the sequel Strike Witches '16 though.
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Strike%20Witches%201989
Relatedly, I enjoyed planefag's Strick Witches Quest and Kant-o-Celle Quest; while neither had an ending, they both have substantial archive depth and solid (if polarizing) writing.

Maverick Hunter Quest is technically still running, but has very few threads per year. Good writing (even for someone not familiar with the Megaman games), and over 100 threads of archive to chew through.

Nerv Bridge Simulator. The ending is kind of ??? and it went on multiple giant hiatuses, but it's still incredible. Reading it through the archives is also very nice because you get to ignore the hiatuses. Nerv Second Daughter is also great. They're both evangelion quests, but I think they explain everything well enough and are far enough from eva canon that you can enjoy them without watching/liking evangelion

Have weaver ever talked about ending to the DiveQuest, did some kind of sum-up maybe? It'd be nice to have a conclusion, even if it's just a couple of sentences.

Do we have any info on what happened? I never figured out why it stopped running.
>>
>>4673969

Given what Mr. Wong said in Swamp Lord Quest, he kind of wrote himself into a corner, and couldn't think of some ways to challenge Roarke anymore. He's running both Swamp Lord Quest, and L5R Chanbara Quest right now. Both are pretty decent, with Swamp Lord acting as a sorceror lord who is dealing with a mage rebellion, and L5R Chanbara is a young Crab samurai running into difficulties when he goes to his uncle's estate to verify his uncle's firstborn. Check them out, I've been enjoying both from their first threads.

All he had to do was have Roarke's harem turn on him.

A ntr arc would have greatly improved that quest.

>I'm surprised Hero Quest Rena hasn't gotten a mention yet. A good drawquest that finished!
Let's all be honest everyone who read that has fapped at least once to Queen
>>
>>4669566
I don't know, desu. I've only been here for the quest duration. In fact, WatdoQM said no to discord because it would create a playerbase that ultimately would have special information or agreed to a vote beforehand. The quest raises a lot in intensity on the last three threads and the mistery just... increases. So many questions, anon. I had so many questions
>>
For a more recent example of a great quest from literally nowhere, pic related.
>>
>>4677900
Oh yeah. Forgot to mention Guns, Magic and Madness if you're in the mood for some WW1 fantasy type of shit. I prefer it to that other WW1 fantasy quest, but that's just me.
>>
>>4677900
That's literally the Zerg symbol from Starcraft, what's the quest?
>>

Zerg Quest.

A quest cut painfully short for reasons unknown, but of the utmost quality. I hope it'll come back.

I'm still butthurt about the duel against the douche with a God Sword

Dark Empire quest by Timekiller

God, that quest was good. Eagerly anticipating the teased good-guy sequel.

This thread brings back so many memories, questing truly went to shit after making this board, should've stayed on /tg/.

I enjoyed Strike Witches Quest but never could stand planefag's faggotry, dude also ran a 2hu quest on one of those 2hu imageboards that he also abandoned and god knows what other drama he's started. Never had the stomach for all the SW-derivative quests like one set in modern day, one set in vietnam, etc etc.
Still a great quest with well written characters, highly recommend. Thanks to this quest "to bounce" entered my lexicon permanently

Joker Quest is my favorite and one of the longest if not the longest, still technically active quests but be warned that the early threads were quite different than the more mature, serious and edgy tone it is known for today. The writing is on a whole other level than the vast majority of quests, it's truly excellent. Reads more like a novel. It just gets like....2 threads a year? But thankfully sessions last like a month or so as JQOP writes out huge updates every couple days when there is a session. In fact, anyone heard from him? Dude went silent on twitter after saying he would start another session in August
Also fun fact: the anonkun site was named that way because the creator was a fan of Joker Quest and named it after the PC, literally just "Anon".

Aspiring Emperor Quest was good but turned into a smut and powerwank fest too fast, OP later admitted he made the game too easy for the players.

Princess Guard Quest....oh man. I can still remember crystal clear that morning when the duel with that rival faggot ended in an asspull and the routelock that followed, the /tg/ board screeched to a halt and turned into an epic shitstorm. That should be testament to how popular and well liked it was til archeron had to fuck it up. Very good light hearted LN-style quest up til that point though.

Banished Quest, I don't think I need to mention it, but how did it end up on perma-hiatus again? I think I vaguely recall something with soma's sister?

Sweet girl, I wonder if she went to veterinarian school like wanted back then.

>Sir Paragon
>Levy Quest
>Super Robot pilot thing
Great quests that finished.

>Standard Fantasy Nation Builder
>Governor
>The Quest of Branded Ones
>Apocalypse Raider Quest
>Fantasy Restaurateur Quest
>Stellaris end game UNE
>Orc Civilization Quest
>Mare Nostrum Civ
>The Brass Companions
>Frontier Outpost Quest
>Mass Effect Quest: New Beginnings
>Solo Experience Quest
Fantastic quests starting out, especially Governor, The Brass Companions, and Fantasy Restaurateur, though they all died out after three threads. I really hope the QM for Governor, The Brass Companions, and Fantasy Restaurateur quest would restart it, finish it, or give an epilogue, they put in a lot of time and effort to crafting their respective worlds and systems.

>World of Reversed Gender Norms
Try to play a slut, but other anons backed out and then fizzled out.

>Gun x Glory!
>One Piece Bounty Photographer Quest
>Ur, Son of Man!
>Jewels of Guldar Quest
Straight outta nowhere! Great quests, though I"m not sure what happened to them.

>Super Robot Wars Quest
If you can handle the "infallible" QM, the quest itself is okay.
>>
>>4683290
Appreciate it.

Any good time travel quests?
>>
>>4685834
Or any desert punk quests?

Lamplighter was really nice. Bea a best

I hope that QM is okay, he seemed really burnt out
>tfw you will never bring back the sun
>>
>>4686119
The QM is okay, but the quest is well and truly dead, which is a pity.

Planefag is a hot-takes conservative commenter on twitter now.
>>
>>4687133
Damn that's disappointing
>>
>>4687133
Pretty sure he's always been that way. iirc, he made a point to use one platform for political nonsense and some other platform for only quest stuff.

I remember enjoying Frontier Knight Quest a lot. Just an honest, straightforward, unashamed high fantasy romp. The only weird part was the expies, but they ended up bothering me a lot less than I expected.

I have a deep love for PKMN Red/Blue quest. A drawquest that is (very loosely) based on the Gen 1 pokemon games.

Whatever happened to Brine and Sith Apprentice Quest? As far as I can tell he disappeared and nobody really made any fuss. Shame too, quest was fun.

Abandoned Robot Quest (active)
Mutant!Quest (Hiatused; OP status unknown)
Bones Quest
Drowned Quest Redux

... kind of a newfag so that’s all I’ve been able to read so far

I’m still catching up on Necromancer Detective Quest so I don’t know why it ended, but the writing is phenomenal, as well as the write-ins. It has a lot of surprising heart and humor that doesn’t undo the grim tone.

More good quests (or quests I enjoyed at any rate) than I can count, but as for *finished* quests, there's Molech's SMT stuff (2 finished stories, as I recall), and even older that Paladin Lamia quest (Lamia Daughter Quest was the title, iirc). Good stuff.
>>
>>4656118
It's not finished, but I'm going to recommend it anyways.

Hive Queen Quest was great, and I wish it still ran.
>>
>>4700308
A lot of the recommendations here aren't finished, so who cares.

Yes, mistakes were made

German hollow quest was great and completed, I just wish we'd gotten a son instead of a daughter, our daughter turned into a complete Mary Sue which I don't believe would have happened with a son

With Great Power is an ongoing quest, that actually has similar levels of quality.
