Thanks QM, this was a very novel skirmish. I especially liked how inventory management was free, and the Daily Quests helped keep things interesting, though perhaps they were too powerful of a reward. I could see the rewards eventually making us too powerful in the long term, especially with "free" respawns. But if you just plan to keep it short, it works just fine imo.

Yeah with a game as heavily focused on getting items I decided not to put any hard restrictions on inventory management.

I allowed re-spawns because I wanted players to be free to pursue loot, and making a game over if you die tends to force people to play conservatively. Still if I were to do it over again I'd say you lose your items but keep your levels.

The dailies were a last minute addition as I wanted people to start getting loot quickly and felt that only killing fooles and picking up lutes might be too slow or cause the game to degenerate into a clusterfuck. I think more people got loot from the dailies than they did actual fighting. A side effect of this was that you guys ran through the loot tables faster than I expected. I didn't make that many unique items due to jam limitations but knowing what I do now I should have made at least 10 different items for the lower rarity tiers and maybe 6 for the higher ones. (They only have 3-6)

Yeah. I went with lower numbers to keep things simple, but if I were to do it again I'd just make all but the most elite enemies have multiple hit points. Or maybe have some weapons do more than one damage. IDK, with a game like this you have to keep the core mechnics simple because most of the QMs time is taken up processing loot drops.
