It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized actoss the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 34 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After confronting Mechikabura and finding gifts for Chilli and Megumin’s wedding in the M’lurnian ruins, Vegeta’s long-lost brother Tarble arrived on New Salda all before breakfast. Which was a massive beast that could swallow a Saiyan whole, known to the crab folks as a “mindslayer”. Due to the massive psychic attack it directed his way as Karn attempted to pull it from the sea. But after breakfast Karn took his kids to Raven’s, then after meditating with Broly checked in on the newly rediscovered brothers. After promising to train the weak Tarble with his students Karn searched for a suitable location, only to find Bardock’s boy Kakarot confronting a group who’d apparently been harassing Tunnip’s little girl Parsla. As we rejoin Karn you’re still floating silently above the confrontation, Kakarot and the lead thug having both gone Super Saiyan.

“Well now, this is unexpected.” Kakarot says, taking a fighting stance similar to his father’s; left arm down defensively, right held back ready to strike. “Looks like kicking your ass won’t be a complete waste of my time after all!”
“You arrogant little shit! DIE!!” the meathead roars, throwing his hand forward and firing a powerful energy wave right for him. But Kakarot isn’t impressed, simply grabbing Parsla by the armor and leaping into the air. The other guy’s goons shout in terror, leaping aside as his destructive wave nearly obliterates three of them. But as the attack is about to hit a gravity chamber building you blitz down in front of the beam, and activate your Barrier. Emerald energy forms a dome around both you and the building, his energy reflecting around your shield’s dome harmlessly instead of damaging the structure.
“Tch. Moron.” you mutter, ending your shield as the beams dissipates and looking up at Kakarot and the girl.

“That’s it. I’m gonna enjoy kicking your ass.” Kakarot shouts over the distance, and begins slowly lowering down towards him. But his foe has no time for that, immediately blasting off the ground. But again he underestimated Kakarot, who slips the sloppy right haymaker from the fighter easily twice his size, and buries his right fist in the man’s gut. His punch lands just below the large man’s ribs, neither moving for several seconds. That is, until Kakarot goes on the offensive. Spinning horizontally around he then slams his right knee into the man’s left ribs, you hearing the crack from here and wincing. From the sound it was more than one, at least two ribs shattered by the blow. And Kakarot’s just getting started.

>>4703084
“HIYAAAAA!!” Kakarot shouts, unleashing a dozen blows in a rapid flurry before kneeing the man’s chin skyward, finished by a double-kick square to the face that sends him flying straight down into the forest’s edge nearby. You hear another crack as the thug slams into a tree, shattering it and causing the massive tree to fall. Again, right towards the buildings. You sigh, dashing towards the building directly in the falling tree’s path. Making some quick estimations you gather your ki into the first two fingers of your right hand, and fire off a Death Slash. Your blade of ki cuts cleanly through the trunk, letting most of it fall short while catching the top section with your telekinesis. Then you set it aside, well clear of the buildings before turning your focus back towards Kakarot’s fight.

As you do, several of the Super Saiyan’s goons clearly recognize you from their expressions. None of them know how to react to your sudden appearance but you ignore them. You’re far more interested in the developing fight than any of these guys. Kakarot slowly drops back down to the ground, and begins walking towards the forest where his attack sent the guy. After a few seconds you hear a roar, a bestial sound of pure outrage and pain. The scream goes on and on, but you begin feeling it. The man’s power begins increasing, and within a few seconds and his scream changing pitch while you feel his powerlevel has doubled! Kakarot clearly feels this too, and clenching his fists you feel his power spike as well. Kakarot Ascends just as the giant of a man blasts forward out of the forest, now even larger than before in the hulking wall of muscle that is the Ultra Saiyan form. He’s now nearly large as your own Berserker form, comically contrasted to young Kakarot’s much smaller height and frame. If the two of them throw down like this, they could cause serious damage. But what happens if you stop them, and don’t let them reach a conclusion? Should you even try and stop them?

Well? What do you do?
>Super Barrier around them and yourself, mark a clear arena to keep any stray attacks or energy from destroying the training facilities
>Go Berserker yourself and dash between them, stop both their attacks and let them know there are better places for this than right beside the city
>Use your telekinesis to try and grab them both, restrain them until they both power down and knock this off
>Stay back, only interfere as you have been doing so far to protect the facilities, nothing more, and watch how this plays out

“GRRRROOOAAAAAA!!” the hulking man bellows, dashing right for Kakarot. Who responds to his challenge in kind, screaming and blitzing forward as well. At their current powerlevel this battle could get way out of hand really quick. So you decide to intervene, before they really damage the surrounding area. You’d rather keep this place intact for the afternoon’s training.
“ENOUGH!!” you roar, aura flaring as you transform as well. One moment you’re in your base form, and the next you’re the hulking wall of muscle known as the Berserker form. Instantly you move, dashing right up between the two fighters right as they’re swinging for each other. But instead of their fists striking each other’s, you catch their fists. “I said. That’s. Enough.”

“G-General Karn?!!” the brute of a man says, his shocked expression reminding you of Nappa’s. Perhaps they’re somehow related? “No way.”
“Hey, what gives?” Kakarot asks, much less intimidated by your sudden arrival. “I was in the middle of kicking this guy’s ass.”
“Yeah, but neither of you have the spatial awareness to be doing this so close to the city.” you say, letting them both go and gesture to the damage below. They both look down and see the aftermath, and the results of you protecting the buildings for the training area. “I’m hosting training for my students this afternoon, and we’ll be training here. So if you two want to fight, take it somewhere else. I’m not babysitting your fight anymore. Got it?”

“Yes sir!” the brute snaps a well-practiced salute, then turns to Kakarot. “C’mon runt, we’re not done. Unless you’d rather tuck your tail between your legs, and run away.”
“As if.” Kakarot replies confidently as the big man flies off, giving you a thumbs up before following after him. Some of the man’s more loyal goons follow slowly after, the rest having scattered. Leaving you alone with Tunnip’s little girl.
“D-Do you think he’s gonna be okay?” she asks you timidly. And you know who she means. So you chuckle and put your hand on the kid’s head, ruffling her hair a bit.
“Kakarot’ll be fine.” you tell her confidently. “That guy may look tough, but your friend’s got this battle. You should go too, and cheer him on.”
“Really?” she says, clearly surprised. But visibly thinks it over a few moments, then nods to herself. “Yeah, I will! Thanks Cauli’s dad!”

And before you can reply she blasts off, following the rapidly-fading golden trails left by the Super Saiyans. Well, that’s one problem handled. But you still have a bit of time before you need to go gathering the kids up from Raven’s and head to lunch.

With a sigh you transform back down into your base form, shrinking back to normal as your feet touch the ground. And as you ponder your next move find the facility’s reservation pad, and quickly enter your name to hold the area for the next few hours after lunch. While doing that you ponder your next move, but something from this morning is still bothering you. Despite not being able to reach Towa for the last while, her seal worked well enough today for it to sense the Demon God Mechikabura. Perhaps today it’s function allowing you to telepathically reach her will also work? Either way, you’re at least going to try it. So you focus your mind on the seal, feeling the barest hint of Towa’s essence, and think.

“Hey, Towa. Can you hear me?” you telepathically reach out to the demon princess. “Can you hear me?”
“Karn?” comes the immediate, startled reply. “How-?”
“Hey, it finally works again.” you think back, happily surprised. “This hasn’t worked since you all got taken.”
“Of course it hasn’t, I had it disabled so she couldn’t infiltrate it.” she answers, you still feeling a bit of her confusion through the mental link. “But how did you know I’d just reactivated it?”
“I didn’t.” you answer her truthfully. “But after Mechikabura showed up earlier, I figured why not try again?”
“Wait, he was there? In your timeline?!” she asks, suddenly quite alarmed. So you fill her in on everything, the seal waking you up, how you found him, and what he told you of. On how to get your Berserker form to 3, the Soulstone, and the warning about a creation being made to exterminate your race. At the last one she scoffs, catching your attention.

“He probably means that Tuffle revenge machine, Baby.” she tells you.
“Another one?” you ask, and actually sigh out. It’s been more than a decade since the Tuffles were exterminated, can’t they just stay dead? As you say this she goes quiet for several seconds before speaking again.

“Unaided, that creature would not be complete for another four decades.” she informs you. “However, it seems your late friend Dr. Nefarious had been involved in it’s production, and has considerably sped up it’s development cycle. However, from what I see that creature won’t be ready for at least another two, but more likely three more decades. More than enough time to focus on and handle more urgent issues.”
“Thanks for the heads up.” you reply, feeling more certain about your earlier choice when speaking to the Demon God. “But what about you? What happened?”

“While we were trapped in Conton City, I had been working with Fu to prepare our escape.” she tells you. “After he found us an empty lab in a different timeline, I granted him the knowledge of certain spells to hide it from the Kai’s gaze. In exchange he moved ehat remained of my old home into this new one, and when the time was right we struck. Your sons and daughters escaped with me, leaving Conton City and taking up residence in our new home. I’ve been busy the past few months going over all the spells, wards, and other means of keeping our home secure on top of watching the kids. Who’re all eager to see you, and attend Chilli’s wedding.”

“Wait. Everyone’s coming?” you ask, suddenly both very excited and very worried. “Not that I don’t want my entire family there for him, but isn’t that just asking for Time Patrol trouble?”
“It would be.” she replies, suddenly very smug. “If we didn’t have her Ace here backing Chaya up.”
“What?” is all you can say, as hundreds of thoughts and worries swirl through your head. Why is Ace with them? Is he really on their side now, or playing double for that damnable Kai? How would you even be able to tell? So you focus your mind, and ask a single question. Which is?

Well?
>How are you hiding her top Patroller, without her finding him and kicking down the door?
>Are you absolutely sure that boy’s mind is free of her control? He’s not under some sort of mind control or anything, is he?
>What’s gonna happen when she shows up to Chilli’s wedding looking for him? Have you talked about this with Chilli and made sure that’s okay?

“You may have captured Ace, but what happens when she sees him?” you ask her seriously. “If that damn Kai finds Ace here, you know just as well as I do that she’ll stop at nothing to get him back. No matter how badly it messes up their wedding, as we’ve seen.”
“Oh no, you misunderstood me.” she answers calmly. “Ace won’t be coming, just members of your family. At Chilli’s request, too. We were just talking moments ago, and he asked me if we would be coming too.”
“Well that’s a good thing. But still, what about the Time Patrol?” you ask her, unrelenting. The last thing you want for your son are a bunch of annoying party crashers. “Even with the four of us adults, there are a LOT of them. How do we keep everyone safe?”

“For that, your son actually has the solution.” she answers, you almost feeling her usual smirk. “He’s been researching through that book of his, and seems to have found just the spell. It only lasts for an hour or so, but his Land of the Dead spell should keep them from interfering. It’s a spell that will make everyone under it’s influence appear as nothing more than wandering spirits to those not included. So to the pesky Time Patrol, it will appear as nothing more than a gathering of specters, and not living beings. And once he’s cast his spell I shall cast a temporal seal on his, preventing the spell from being tampered with even before it’s casting. With both spells up the Time Patrol will be unable to act, and allow your son’s wedding to go on without a hitch.”

“Seems you two have thought of everything.” you say approvingly. The last thing your son’s big day needs is complications. “So, how has everyone been?”

You and Towa talk of your three kids together for a few minutes, you learning of how far they have each come in their respective trainings and how excited they all are to finally be able to see you again. But after a few she tells you she has to go, the gravity chamber broke down again and she needs to go fix it. So you say your farewells and she ends the link, you lifting into the air and flying back towards Raven, Meloka, and your children. Which, before the afternoon lessons with your students begins, leaves you one question: where will you go for lunch?

Well?

Pondering your options as you fly, you realize you don’t know where your students even eat. During the past week, when taking a break from the work of unloading the Lucrehulk, occasionally some of your students would stop by your little island and eat at Silver’s. Which is still a popular place to come and eat, thanks to his constant quality. But when not eating at your place, you don’t actually know where most of them go. So today, you’re going to change that. Landing by your family you see the lesson wrapping up, the image of the late Guardian vanishing.

“Well done everyone.” Raven says, then turns to you. “And welcome back.”
“Thanks again.” you say to her, then turn to your kids. “Alright, who’s hungry?”

A chorus of “meees!” ring out, you chuckling at their enthusiasm.

“Alright everyone, today we’re doing something different for lunch.” you say, rising back up into the air. “Follow me.”

And so you take flight once more, leaving Raven’s island and headed back to the mainland. Ki sense expanding out as you do, you feel several familiar presences gathered. So you home in on their signatures, and start heading towards them. Your path brings you back into the city, closer to the northern end than the palace and touch down outside a rather large, unassuming building. And without hesitation open the door.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=ygcHWms0UNs

Music blares out of several overhead speakers, loud enough to be heard over the dull roar of dozens of people’s conversations but not so loud that they can’t hear each other. Looking around you see several dozen other Saiyans gathered in their own groups around tables, eating and taking merrily. But as the door opens several turn around, and upon seeing you everyone freezes. Even the music stops after several akward seconds, and seemingly the entire mess hall is looking at you expectantly. But before you can say anything, someone else speaks up.

“Hey, it’s Karn.” Lattu, your first Super Saiyan student calls out. You see her sitting with the other Super Saiyans Sabi, Rugu, Totoma and Nion, as well as a few of those you’d felt were close to transforming before the war ended. “Come to join us today?”
“How’d you know?” you reply, walking over to them. As you make your way to their table the music picks back up, and by the time you walk over everyone’s back to their own discussions. With several “discreet” glances thrown your way. But whatever, you’re not here for the onlookers. You’re here for your students. So you walk over, and take a seat at their table. Your kids rush around and gather a few empty chairs from around the neighboring tables, and soon all of you are seated. “So. You guys all ready for today?”
cont
>>
>>4703722
“Oh yeah, it’s about time.” Lattu says jokingly. “Was starting to worry you’d gone off and retired.”
“Nah, I was just taking a bit of a break. We all earned one.” you tell her, then address everyone. “We’ll have the area for at least a few hours, the larger complex to the north of the city to use.”
“We already figured.” Katsu, one of the strongest of your students who hasn’t yet transformed says. Last time you’d measured his powerlevel he was at well over three hundred thousand, and judging from his looks he’s been keeping up the hard work. “Felt your power flare up a bit earlier, almost thought it was time to get started.”

“Nah, Bardock’s second boy and some guy I don’t know got in a slugging match there.” you explain. “Had to intervene so they wouldn’t level the place as collateral.”
“That’s Kakarot, right?” Rugu asks, you nodding. “Fought him once, sparred in one of the rooms. Kid’s built like a damn freak.”
“He’s not that strong.” Broly retorts.
“Easy for you to say kid, you’re probably close to twice as strong as he is.” Totoma says with a laugh, downing her entire mug before waving to one of the servers to bring her another. “And make this one a double! Anyways, you kids are special. Dunno what it is about your parents, but not one of you is normal.”
“What does that mean?” Tatsu and Tomi ask her simultaneously. To which she doesn’t answer them, simply gesturing their way while looking at Broly. And you do have to agree, at least mentally, that none of your kids are normal. But what’s wrong with being exceptional?
“H-Hello, welcome.” a nervous-sounding server says, bringing another large pitcher for Totoma. “What can I get you all?”
“Any suggestions?” Meloka asks, before anyone else can speak up. “This is our first time here, what would you recommend?”

“Oh, well today’s special is-“ she says, and begins droning on. You lose focus, instead keenly aware of something. You feel something, or someone, staring at the back of your head with lethal intent. Your instincts don’t warn you to move immediately, but you do feel something threatening behind you, deeper into the mess hall.

But what do you do about it?

We did just walk into one a hall with some of the strongest Saiyans on the planet outside of our family and friends.

That or it's another Sith Initiate who thinks they're ready to tangle with the Dragon.

No more new students you mean. For all we know, multiple people could have come into contact with his Holocron before the incident with the saboteur.

But not a young buck who was raised as a traditional Saiyan.

“Hey, Bane. You feel that?” you think telepathically reaching out to the imprint of an ancient Sith formed when you touched the dark lord’s long-buried holocron.
“Indeed. Someone wants you dead.” he replies. the image of the ancient appearing by your side. And since no one reacts, doubtlessly he isn’t actually there. Just projecting an image of himself into your mind so you can “see” him, instead of being a voice in your head. He’d explained why once before, someone went mad from his voice, etc. But you’re not bothered, as long as he respects your boundaries and doesn’t try anything shady. “And you want me to take a look around.”

“Appreciate it.” you reply, Bane’s image as well as his presence in your mind vanishing. The ancient sith lord might not like your attitude sometimes, but he doesn’t openly oppose your choices. He knows you can be stubborn, and sees the potential within you. Plus he’s also a millennia-old phantom with nothing but time, he can afford to be patient. With the sith going out to counter-snoop and spy around you focus back on the waitress, who’s looking at you expectantly. “Sorry, lost in thought. Which would you recommend.”

She recommends the special which you take, and she hurries off after rattling off the meal for the table for accuracy. Meanwhile you shift focus back to your students, who seemingly haven’t felt anything off.

“So, Karn. Now that your break’s over, what’s the plan?” Rugu asks, the slightly-older Saiyan always direct and to the point. “What is training going to look like going forward?”
“Yeah, I’m curious about that too.” Sabi says, all the students as well as your kids looking to you. “What’s training gonna look like now? Are we gonna focus on gettin’ big, like you an’ Nappa? Getting to higher and higher transformations?”
“Or perhaps working on our ki and control, mastering our own energy and maximizing our efficiency?” Katsu asks. “Or hell, even just focusing on getting EVERYONE to be a Super Saiyan. If we all could transform, we’d be a whole lot more dangerous as a force.”
“Can’t deny that, an army of Super Saiyans would be terrifying.” Lattu says, the weakest Super Saiyan at the table. Considering transforming only makes her four times stronger than Katsu, who cannot transform, she more than the rest of them knows the value of the form. “So, spill it. What’s the plan?”

Well? Do you have a plan?
>Write ins only

>"Well, there is good news, and there is bad news. Which do you guys want to hear first?"
>Telepathically let them know that someone is looking at us with lethal intent, and keep acting normal.
>Wink at them while joking about there being ki blade training, and about being prepared for attacks at any time.
>Telepathically let Meloka know to be prepared to grab the kids and teleport while we Barrier whoever tries to jump at us, trapping them at the table with us and every student ready to stab the fuck out of them.
>Just in case this isn't some fucker out for us, we start telling the students out loud on the joys of being targets by Assassins at large for being Super Saiyans, and there will be Ki Sensing training on top of our regular schedual.
>>
>>4703919
Everyone will be splitting their training into a few parts.

First half will be Ki Control and Mastery of whatever transformation you have access to at the time.

Once you've completely mastered your current form, then you can train to unlock the next one, and switch to increasing your power level.

If we get any new students who can't transform yet, they'll be put through the wringer until they can, and depending on their power level either work on Ki Control to PL depending what their base power is.
>>
>>4703930
Lets save legit scheduling for when we get everyone together.
>>
>>4703930
>>4703928
Well let's not vote too early, we got 40 minutes.

I think we'd be best off with those who can already transform getting into the mindset of keeping the form on, so transformation training for them. Since it's their first real day trying it, we can probably take it a bit easier on ki extraneous activities and leave them to instead focus on that and ki control.
I suppose we also do a fair bit of basic ki increase training with the lower level members like Lattu and get those close to transformation
like Katsu to go over it before they begin to lose their training war mindset and relax too much
>>
>>4703933
.....anon. We're the teacher. This is us deciding IC what the teaching schedule is, which we'll tell all our students later, why do you think GD even brought this subject up as a vote now?
>>
>>4703928

>>
>>4703939

>>4703938
Because we got another wannabe assassin in the room.
>>
>>4703943
He wouldn't give us such a long vote for that though anon, this is the training vote for sure.
>>
>>4703919
The training is gonna be focused on getting everybody to a certain "level". That level being:

-150k minimum base powerlevel
-Super Saiyan 1 mastery for all hands
-Ki blade sparring / Djem So basics (Completion of this goal is dependent on a test spar with Karn)
-Techniques to include: Ki Blades, Barrier, Mouth Beam, Energy Javelin, and Power Ball.
Focusing on a different technique each day or splitting our students into groups and rotating each group through the techniques

If you've already met one of the goals you can become an instructor of sorts for that activity. allowing the rest of the group to improve faster. Should you have all the goals met you can consider yourself a basically trained Saiyan warrior. We can get more advanced once we have enough people meeting the standards.
>>
>>4703947
Oh, I like it a lot, nice anon. Though I think they'd be better off learning Su Ma in the long run taking things into consideration. And while 150k is certainly where I'd like them all to lie, perhaps a shorter goal is better for our students who are lagging behind quite a bit like Cress since that's about over 4 times her current ki total. Maybe those below 50k need a 100k minimum and add a penalty if they don't like dismissal? And those who are well above the threshold instead aim for 300k like Fannel and Ayote?

For reference btw guys, here's the exact pastebin link https://pastebin.com/3htQXwYD
>>
>>4703919
>Katsu hit the nail on the head. First and foremost I want every Saiyan under my wing to be a Super Saiyan. And not just a Super Saiyan, but ones who have mastered the transformation.
>On top of that, I have a list of techniques and a few martial forms I want to make sure you all know. Who knows, maybe you'll teach me something once you learn em and start getting creative.
>First and foremost though, those of you who CAN'T sense energy need to rectify that immediately. That's a whole spectrum of combat some of you are just ignoring, and it might get you killed.
>>
>>4703955
Thank you thank you. I tried to fashion it a bit like bootcamp when I went through. Just trying to get everybody competent. They can specialize once they have the basics down.
>>
Does anyone know off the top of their head what the "typical" powerlevel of our students is? I only see Lattu's listed in the pastebin and quick math puts Katsu at 371,875, but they sound like special cases.
>>4703947
sounds good, but I don't know how appropriate those goals are for all of the students and it might be too involved for an answer right now. I'm leaning towards voting >>4703957, it seems to prioritize the right stuff while being concise enough. Hitting Super Saiyan is probably the best goal for them right nowand the one that will motivate them the most, and ki sensing is a logical step to hit while working to it.

Well to shorten your time a tad, most our students seem to lie between 40k-70k with a few exceptions above or below. Thankfully more above students then below. This does
make the 150k goal seem less possible for those students who aren't lucky enough to be on the higher ki spectrum, unless of course we count ssj transformation as an alternative to meeting the mark

Also yeah GD, I forget but do all our students already know ki sensing or have we neglected that?

“To be completely honest, we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us.” you say, clearly surprising the lot of them. “As you said Katsu, an entire force of Super Saiyans is extremely dangerous. That had been my hope, to get everyone to that point during the war. Thankfully we managed to end it early, but that doesn’t mean our goals have lessened. You never know what is lurking in the shadows, getting ready to try something. There could even be someone in here, planning to attack us.”

“They’d have to be out of their mind.” Sabi says, ever confident. “Even disregarding you two, and your kids, the seven of us could take the whole rest of the room ourselves.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure.” the soft-spoken Cenoria says, the first words she’s spoken since you walked in. “I don’t know why, but ever since you walked in I’ve felt nervous.”
“Well at least your instincts are working.” you say, startling everyone. And you don’t lower your voice, in fact speak up just a little louder than necessary. “Ever since we walked in, someone in this building has wanted me dead.”

As you say “dead” the music stops, and for a brief instant there is complete silence. As if the universe itself conspired with you to emphasize your point. But then the next song starts, and you continue.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=nNXSUS2zQEg

“Some of you lack the instinct to deal with the kinds of threats that being a Super Saiyan brings:” you continue, taking your drink from the server with a nod and a thank you. After taking a pull continue, the drink’s heat matching the fire within. “Cowards love trying to take us out by stabbing us in the back. And if your instincts aren’t up to the task, then your ability to sense the ki of those around you better be. Especially if they try and hide themselves, suppressing their ki.”
“So learning or I guess mastering our transformations, and learning that technique?” Nion asks. “But what of us who’ve already learned those skills?”
“Gravity. Training.” you reply. “You and some of the others have excellent skills, but that just won’t cut it against opponents who’ve eclipsed your power times over. By the end of next year, since this one’s almost over, every single student who’s been with us that long will have a base powerlevel of one hundred fifty, no. Two hundred thousand, minimum. Which should give a transformed power of at least eight digits.”

At the silence around you, you realize the whole table’s looking at you. Someone from a nearby table let’s out a low whistle, clearly shocked. But you ignore the onlooker, instead focusing on your students before you, and realizing you have a point to drive home.

“Did you think we were done?” you ask them all. “Did you think that, since we “won” that it’s over? No. Now that the war’s done, that’s less time to take away from your training. Each and every one of you told me, promised me that you wouldn’t quit. That you would give one hundred percent to better yourselves, to protect our people. Are you saying you want to back out now, now that things are gonna get a little bit difficult?”

“Absolutely not!” Lattu shouts, rising up to her feet and surprising not only her fellow students but several people nearby. “Before you took me in, I was nothing! I promised you I would give it everything I got, and be worth the time you put in to train me! No way in hell am I backing down now!”
“That’s the spirit!” Caulifla shouts, your little ‘Angel of Mercy’ joining in the excitement by jumping up and standing on her chair. “Never give up!”

Which is of course the moment your unseen assassin strikes.

“Behind you, here.” Bane thinks to you, almost seeming to highlight an insignificant ki signature behind you. And the moment he does your instincts scream at you in warning, so without hesitation unleash your ki in the shimmering, emerald dome of your Barrier. As you do you feel an impact, turning to see a beam of energy slam into that shield only to be deflected into the ceiling. But following the beam back you see a Sangheili of all things appear, tossing the rifle aside and drawing a pair of Energy Swords.

“Saiyan bastard!!” it roars, dashing forward and leaping at you. However the moment it crosses into your Barrier, seven Energy Javelins fly up, one from each of your students and pierces the splitjaw. Without waiting you condense and shrink your Barrier, not around you but around the splitjaw. “The Covenant will rise a-!”

BOOM

Your students’ attacks all explode, consumed by the sudden fireball. Thankfully your Barrier holds, and the blast doesn’t affect anyone’s meal, but the Barrier-clad corpse begins smoking. Which is of course the moment your server walks out with platters of food, to see a smoking corpse and everyone else silently looking at either you or it.”

“And that’s why you keep up with your training. Never know who’s out to get you.” you say to them, then turn and see her shocked face. “Perfect timing.”

Grabbing the worthless body with your telekinesis, you toss the would-be splitjaw assassin out the door without a second look while sitting back down in your seat. The server seems a bit shaken by that but keeps doing her job, letting you all eat your meal.

“Thanks for the spotting.” you telepathically thank Bane for his efforts. He doesn’t respond, no doubt upset with himself that the splitjaw managed to hide so well from him. But you leave it alone, everything worked out and your instincts are no longer bugging you about a threat on your back. So you chow down, tearing into your meal with the kind of vigor only a Saiyan can. Which is alright, nothing special. Not even on the same level as Silver’s disciples, or that Mindslayer you had for breakfast. But it’s serviceable, you eating your entire meal.

Once everyone’s done you all head out, wife, kids, and students in tow, and fly to the area you’d designated for your students’ training. As you all touch down you’re surprised to see several of your students already here, as well as many new faces. One of which who’s face is less familiar than his arms, since the giant of a man has four.

Open spoiler here
“I have found you, Dragon of New Salda.” the four-armed man says, stomping forward towards you. But before he can take more than two steps Meloka’s already immobilized him, trapping the man in her Hellzone Prison. Firing off a Scattershot’s worth of tiny blasts that all surround him she fires a beam. Which is reflected around to several others, on and on forming a cage of energy around the giant. “I have come to challenge that name. We, the mighty Shokan people are the descendants of dragons, and not you apes. I shall not let such slander against my people go unpunished.”

And to your surprise feel an unfamiliar energy well up within him, flame-like energy gathering around his four forearms as he deflects Meloka’s beams in different directions. Which opens up a path through the prison, the giant walking right through it as Meloka ends the technique. Well. That’s certainly one way to make an impression.

It's time for another round of speculating on why Karn has such a bullshit-tier danger sense.
My hypothesis is that it's a subconcious manifestation of the force. He's probably been force-sensitive his whole life, and his lifestyle lead to it being the most natural part of him, so he never even realizes it's something more than pure 'instinct'.
>>
>>4704156
It’s not gonna be him, this time. But I think you all will enjoy it nonetheless.
>>4704165
A pretty good answer. Precognition and disturbances could be a possible explanation.
>>
>>4704165
I'd say it's a pretty natural response to the environment he was raised in and the actions he's taken since he became a part of the PTO.
You don't live long as a tribal Saiyan if you don't develop some keen awareness.
This was likely further developed under Tatsu's watchful eye since he's always been the archetypical veteran for as long as Karn's known him.
Combine that with everything that's happened over the course of the quest and it's no wonder his danger-sense has blossomed into some kind of precognition.
I'll also say he might just be predisposed towards being innately aware of his surroundings given how he's confirmed to be capable of tapping into Ultra Instinct, which I assume is extremely fucking rare.
>>
>>4704165
Never considered a real reason to Karns extraordinary senses. I always figured that he’s just that good.

>I'd say it's a pretty natural response to the environment he was raised in and the actions he's taken since he became a part of the PTO.
I’m not sure how you anons live your lives, but have you ever been stalked by a predator? If you’ve spent enough time on the hunt(or being hunted, I’d assume), you can actually develop a sense for it. You can almost feel where someone’s eyes are on you, and sometimes even their direction.
>>4704239
Always a possible answer. MCs do have gifts others just generally don’t.

>>4705686
>especially if he hears about us being sick of cars
I'll be real, even if Karn doesn't exactly like Kars after that terrible introduction, it's not like he vehemently hates the guy.
More to the point, I'm pretty sure it's been years in-quest since Kars has even crossed Karn's mind.
Hell, they're both on the same page about the current divine hierarchy being woefully incompetent.
>>
>>4705689
yeah i mostly brought it up cause i could see kazuma try to figure out what the shit do we mean about our vendetta against divine kind and kars is an incredibly good example why things are fucked, when a literal vampire is better then most of the retards that be you can tell its a massive fucking problem.
>>
>>4705565
That probably depends on how Aqua behaves. And, how a certain other individual may act. She does want to see Megumin’s progress, after all.
>>4705579
>Is that not something DDF can do?
Seems anon has some required reading to do! I have several different pastebins up, linked in the very first post of each thread for just this sort of thing!

>>4705686
>especially if he hears about us being sick of cars.
Here’s a question for you: When did JJBA: BT release? The manga, mind, not the anime. Now ask yourself if a full-time otaku would know of Kars.
>>4705689
Hasn’t been years, he showed up recently remember? Skulking around the ship, and was confronted by Karn and Tanya?
>Hell, they're both on the same page about the current divine hierarchy being woefully incompetent.
Not wrong there. And Kars is quite intelligent, and not only knows how to supplant the Supreme Kai without causing a disturbance to the sleeping Beerus, but can do that while also keeping the Destroyer alive. After all, tying his own life force to the only being(he thinks) could stop him at that point is a win-win to him.
>>4705704
Kazuma would be quite understanding of such a vendetta. But does Karn actually HATE most of the deities? SKoT is a given, obviously. But does he HATE Shin? Or does he just think that he’s useless, and better off replaced? Granted, Shin did actually save Karn’s life at the last possible instance once. But that was hours into a treaty-breaking siege led by the Prophets’ gold-plated attack dog.
>>
>>4706521
Is Raditz on New Salda? After our "discussion" with him back in that gravity chamber I was wondering if he was around to maybe show up for Karn's training. I could see him attending to show that he's not backing down and will do whatever it takes to get stronger, but I could also see him going completely independent from Karn to prove that he can stand on his own to be alongside Chaya.
>>
>>4706604
A very good question. You know Chaya’s off world, her ki not on the planet. But you haven’t sensed for Raditz.
>>
>>4706694
Interesting, I wonder what his game plan is. It'll be fun to see how he develops.

I just realized something.
With Chilli's wedding coming up, we're gonna have to make what is possibly the most important decision in our entire life.
What kind of suit are we gonna wear?
>>
>>4706891
Frieza's got us covered.
>>
>>4706905
I know we're gonna be looking fresh no matter what, but I'd like to have a little bit of input on what we're gonna be wearing to our son's wedding.
>>
>>4706874
He’s still a simple guy, just with different goals than his “canon” self.
>>4706891
You do have a suit already, from your marriage. If you haven’t bulked up too much for it. It’s been kept in the “couples” pod Freeza had(after being cleaned) for you. Speaking of, you may want to gift that pod to them as well, at least for the night.
>>
>>4706943
>You do have a suit already, from your marriage
Correction. We have a bright white wedding tuxedo that's gaudy as hell for a guest to be wearing.
>Speaking of, you may want to gift that pod to them as well, at least for the night.
If he needs privacy, I'm sure he can figure out a way to get it.
>>
>>4706956
True. But remember, this isn’t a normal wedding. This is a Crimson Demon wedding. Do you REALLY think the entire village won’t be wearing their most attention-grabbing clothes? Although wearing white may be a bad idea.
>If he needs privacy, I'm sure he can figure out a way to get it.
Yes. But he may appreciate it, knowing you got it from Freeza for your own wedding night.
>>

Why does that guy seem so huge in that suit?

QM UPDATE

So for this first intermission, we’ll be stepping back a bit from the ToP what if’s, and instead taking a look at some different ones. Starting with one of the best, pre-BoG Z movies

I did not need to see King Kai's gigantic nipples after he painted himself yellow and folded he antennae back.

>how would you actually be able to stop him?
Probably turning pink, becoming a retard, and screaming really, really hard.
>>
>>4708339
>Now, for those unable to Instant Transmission to King Kai’s and cross over, how would you actually be able to stop him?
I guess you'd just die.
No really. You just die, hop on down to Hell when you run into the barrier around the Check-In Station and kick Janemba's fucking teeth in.
Obviously that requires you knowing how Otherworld works is laid out, but it's not that hard to figure out when you get there.
Alternatively, I'm sure Raven knows some way of communing with the dead or forcefully removing our soul so we can travel to Otherworld without having to actually bite the dust.
Even more out there, but somehow straight forward, we try and sense the absolutely fucking massive amount of demonic ki and Instant Transmission to it.

Oh right, the floodgates of hell opening up.
It reminds me how many less-than-powercrept Covenant Stand-users might have an axe to grind such as the user of a certain Requiem Stand
>>
>>4708339
Actually GD, if the souls of the damned come rushing out of hell for Round 2/3/4/5/6 for some of them, since their already purely spiritual beings does that mean if Divine Dragon Force hits them we can ACTUALLY Perma Kill the fuckers? Assuming DDF is back at that point anyway.
>>
>>4708339
The Supreme Kai. There's no other real way to know what's responsible and get to where you need to be outside it. With the Supreme Jai's aid, his actual aid Kibito, then one could manage to get there to face janemba. There's no real other way, since death doesn't quite lead to HFIL in the current state
>>
>>4708380
Ha!
>>4708448
There is a better option. As for Raven, quite possibly. Remember after Raditz, Kami PERSONALLY took Goku before King Yemma to get him that chance at Snake Way.
With the barrier weakened, you could potentially sense it. After all, Goten and Trunks could sense the birth of Gogeta.
>>4709018
And how many enemies you’ve YET to fight. Imagine how many foes Karn can have killed by Age 774, another quarter-century from now.
>>4709061
Yes. Same as with a halo’d being. Directly striking their “heavenly” body and turning that energy against them, would erase someone completely.
>>4709067
Kibito’s(or Kars’) Kai Kai would work, allowing instantaneous movement directly to him. Although everyone’s forgetting another option(and child).

Probably nothing?

I admire the creativity but does that mean that they will be only able to stay for one hour only instead of the whole wedding? This is sad. I want them to be able to stay from the beginning till the end. Is it possible to do it without turning the wedding into a battlefield between us and the Time Patrol?

Yo you know what I want to see? Burter, the fastest in the universe racing Dyspo. After all those years of running and training surely Burter at the time of the ToP would live up to his boasts.

QM UPDATE

Just a reminder, there will be no run this weekend. This episode’s continuation has been pushed back to next Saturday, April 3rd. As of now I’m hoping to have this intermission posted maybe Monday evening, and the April’s Fools post of course the 1st.

>>4711067
One thing’s for certain, there is no one stopping him.
And yes, Whole it’s a limited window, just part of the wedding and reception, there should be no Time Patrol interference. However...
>>4711086
Dyspo’s ultimate technique is still faster than Burter’s top speed.
>>
>>4711185
>Dyspo’s ultimate technique is still faster than Burter’s top speed.
I will not accept this slander. Retract this defamatory statement posthaste else you bring upon yourself the full power of my autistic legal team.
>>
>>4711212
Reminder that Dyspo’s normal speed was faster than Fourth Form Freeza, and his ultimate technique was faster than even Golden Freeza or Ultimate Gohan could keep up with. He could out-speed anyone short of Omen Goku or Jiren at the ToP. Burter’s fast, but he can’t yet outspeed Golden Freeza.
>>
>>4711185
>Dyspo’s ultimate technique is still faster than Burter’s top speed.
And yet it can only move in linear paths, meaning it's still somewhat predictable.
>>4711275
>Burter’s fast, but he can’t yet outspeed Golden Freeza.
>yet
GD, You had my curiousity. Now you have my attention.
What techniques or training can Burter employ to max out his speed besides just raising his powerlevel?
>>
>>4711354
It is. But if, in a one on one Golden Freeza, who is canonically stronger than SSB Goku, can’t even touch him without assistance even with his extra appendage, that knowledge does little. He couldn’t overpower Freeza, but thousands of hits from a weaker foe will still wear you down.
I’ll just say this. Burter has been training. Each member of the Force has been doing their own training during the war arc, on top of group trainings together. Jeice had been training his ki control/manipulation with Tunnip, Recoome surprisingly went with learning Su Ma, Guldo trained his own power, and Ginyu had some special training as well.
>>
>>4711400
>Ginyu had some special training as well
Can he swap souls without having to move his own?
Is there some secret to his Sangheili body that he discovered?
Did the invasion of Yardrat get pushed up the schedule?
>>
>>4711275
Canon golden Frieza was still a chump who could only barely fight and didn't do REAL INTENSE training. Only taking potshots at a sad little man. Raw strength means little without experience and muscle memory to build on.

And Gohan is a glorified punching bag in anything other than the Cell arc. In which he is a regular punching bag, but cool.

No one can outspeed the blue blur forever. He is the fastest there is!

Fucking Tori and his weird cat wank shittery.
>>
>>4711400
>Recoome becoming dodge tank like Karn
He knows the score. Now he's gonna be scary.
>>
>>4711400
Too be fair GD our golden frieza is probably a shitload stronger then Canon since he's actually kept training over the years because he has had reason too.
>>
>>4713273
I'm fairly certain he's still below Canon Golden Frieza in terms of raw power right now simply for the sake of balance and common sense.
However, when he does eventually get to that level, he's also likely gonna have much better stamina, control, and experience.
Not to mention a whole host of new techniques.

Nice sticker. Reminded me of some interesting techniques that Earth warriors developed. Starting with this power up by Master Roshi. And now the technique that currently interests me much more. Tien's Four Witches Technique. Can Karn develop it?
Because if we could learn it and then master it over the course of upcoming time skip then maybe we could get ourselves something really deadly and very useful.
This technique mastered to the point of being able to have and use those additional arms for a long time without difficulty sounds just so good.
Example one:
>Karn transforms into one of his Berserker forms.
>Then he uses Four Witches Technique.
>Suddenly opponent is facing four handed embodiment of carnage and destruction.
Or:
>Two hands to fire a counter energy wave in a beam struggle.
> While using the other two to fire guided death beams that will hit opponent and distract him.
>Or instead of beams throw scatter shots for the same result.
Or:
>In Berserker form grab our sword in one hand, hammer in second and summon two energy blades in other arms.
>I get the feeling enemies would rather not get near Karn like this.
Or:
>The most classic four handed move.
>Grab opponent with 2 arms.
>Use other 2 to pummel him.
>We better not let Goro do this to us.
It could be useful and smoothly working with anything we have or may learn in the future, no matter what path to power we pick.
If we could do this now we would probably outdo the real Shokan Goro. His surprise would be immeasurable.
Please tell me if it would be as good as I think, because in theory it looks great. Can we learn it?
>>
>>4713568
I just remembered that Towa's Cell should know it.
>>
>>4713568
>as good as I think
I like four armed fighters and I expect it to be a big point in Goro's favor in the upcoming fight, but I don't think it's as simple as 4 arms=better. Karn's got a lifetime of experience as a two armed fighter, all of his muscle memory and subconscious planning in a fight is for how to move and beat someone down with two hands. There'd be a lot of extra thought put into how to best use the arms that would probably slow him down in a brawl.
>>
>>4711471
Good questions, but you’ll have to ask him. As for Yardrat, no.
>>4711489
Remember, canon Freeza came back stronger after his second death than his first. Which when his first form(which is 1/120th of his fourth form) could take SS2 Gohan. Who despite his lack of training still surpassed Piccolo’s strength. So his first form is far stronger than Piccolo, then 120x that BEFORE going Golden. Freeza’s power is just absurd.
>>4712952
Just making an HP tank also a kite tank is really, really unfair to fight against.
>>4713273
Yes and no. Freeza came back way stronger after his canon second death, simply due to his complete mastery over his Golden form.
>>4713297
Yes. When your Freeza reaches AGE 780(canon ToP time), he could possibly stand on even footing with Jiren.
>>4713566
Roshi’s “100%” form is just that, his full power. Same thing Freeza pulled, and later Future Trunks did with the Ultra form.
>>4713568
Potentially. However, for Su Ma/Djem So, it would be less effective. You’d need a style designed for the extra limbs else they’d get in the way at best, or you’d actually injure yourself at worst. >>4713577
Most likely, as he knows the superior version. Multiform.
>>4713639
Yes. Having extra limbs doesn’t equal knowing how to effortlessly use them like a Shokan.
>>
>>4714668
On the topic of the Ginyu Force, we should bring them in at the end of the current year to help teach our students about small unit tactics.
Being strong as individuals is a given, but well trained teams are where fighting forces truly shine.
>>
>>4714680
We're gonna need to keep a lookout for those who display strong leadership skills for future squad leaders. In bootcamp they scouted the men who were already fathers and people with managerial experience to be section leaders and the like. Hell our RPOC was damn near 30.
>>
>>4714668
>Remember,
I didn't stutter. Stronk ain't shit unless your viewers have the brain of an eggplant.

Literally only three characters got actual respect put into them in Super. Frieza, 17, and Roshi. Everyone else got maximum disrespect. Goku doesn't count because he gets sucked off so fucking hard by the writers so often it's painful. And all they got was a damn numbers increase, lame as hell dude.

And it was stupid anyway because "Look how strong I am" immediately invalidated by "I am the strongest, owari bruh". Big numbers are dumb. Using the numbers you got well is way cooler. And at the end of the day canon Frieza is still a bitch even with his fat number.

>Burter’s fast, but he can’t yet outspeed Golden Freeza.
If it ever comes to this that we learn Kaio Ken, then maybe if we taught it to Burter it could give him the edge to out speed Dyspo. Though would that be enough? There is also question how many times Kaio Ken would Burter be able to maintain and for how long. Can anyone besides Cell or someone with some very unusual biology pull off Perfect Kaio Ken? Or is that out of reach for "normal" life forms?
>>
>>4714680
Always a fair point.
>>4714686
>implying this wasn’t already done early
>>4714739
Muscle memory is good, but if your reactions and speed are 12000x that of your opponents, their experience doesn’t matter. Like the original pre-Super Saiyan Goku vs Freeza fight. No matter what Goku pulled, barring the 20x Kaio-Ken Kamehameha that took HIM out of the fight, he didn’t do actual damage to Freeza. Krillin did more real damage to him than Goku did before that or the Spirit Bomb. Skill is good, but all the skill in the world can’t overcome a massive power gap. Let’s take another show for example. Saitama and Bang. Bang is better, but could never win that fight. Overwhelming power is just that; Overwhelming.
>>4714994
Salza did. Did.
Burter may possibly learn the Kaio-Ken from your son who picked it up from Cell. And the Perfect Kaio-Ken is only something “Perfect” life forms could learn, like himself or Kars due to the damage Kaio-Ken does to the organism practicing it up to that point. Even most non-pure, lesser Majins couldn’t keep it up for very long, as it would quickly outpace their regeneration.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 153 Intermission-

AGE 774, NEW SALDA

“Come on Junior, is that all you’ve got?” you taunt teasingly, your son’s furry right forearm knocked aside by your left and cause his punch to go wide. Meanwhile you punch with your own right hand, Karn Jr blocking it with his forearm. The force of your punch knocks him back into a flip, sliding on all fours to slow himself. While still sliding he rises to his feet, slamming his arms together and shouting, “Final Flash!” But you don’t move, glaring at the blast and hardening your emerald aura flowing around you. His blasts strikes, but, unable to pierce your energy his attack is stopped short. Karn Jr ends the attack as his slide stops, the two of you staring each other down.

You are Karn: the Dragon of New Salda, slayer of Majin Buu, battler of Destroyers and a warrior who’s pushed the limits of mortal power in your own timeline. And while you haven’t reached the Apex, as Future Chaya has, you’ve discovered a power just as great. By combining the feral power of a Primal Saiyan with the unquenchable rage of the Berserker, you have achieved a power near unrivaled, even Golden Freeza has to work hard to compete with your true form. However it has been years since the last threats arrived, a time of peace not seen since the early days after the Covenant’s fall and Lord Freeza’s rise to Emperor of Universe 7.

“Tch. I’m just getting warmed up!” your boy, now a man shouts. His golden aura flares up around him, but to your shock begins changing. What look like stars begin twinkling in his golden aura, it flaring larger as his power begins growing greater and greater. His hair begins changing colors, turning from black to a brilliant red. “HRRRRRYAAAAAAAA!!”
“Oho! Going all-out, huh?” you reply, cracking your neck and feeling your blood start really pumping as you clench your own fists. “Then I guess I’ll do the same! RRRRAAAAAA!!!”

Your own body explodes outwards, muscle mass expanding rapidly as you take on the Berserker variant of your Primal transformation. The ground trembles beneath you as you take on your fullest, most powerful form, emerald aura contrasting with your crimson fur.

“Come on son, show me what you can do!”
>>
>>4715244
“HRRRYAAAAAA!!” he shouts, closing the distance near-instantaneously and swinging for a left uppercut at your guts. Which, in this form is admittedly a rather large target. You can’t move fast enough to stop him in this form, his Apex Saiyan transformation increasing his speed even more than his power. So instead of trying to avoid his hit you lean into it, taking the hit and letting it knock your upper body backwards a bit. As it does you kick forward with your left leg, catching his body with your shin. “Guuuh!”

“Hit and move!” you instruct, stomping down with your left foot and throwing a powerful punch towards his head. Which he sees coming. Instead of taking the powerful blow with his face, Karn Jr rolls counterclockwise around it, and uses his tail to wrap around your wrist. So instead of flying back he whips himself around by the tail, into a soaring right uppercut aimed at your jaw. Which you see coming, and manage to just get your beefy forearm between you and it. His fist slams into your arm, but before you see it coming he also kicks you in the jaw. And to your surprise it hurts. His knee crashes into your jaw, rocking your head back with the sudden force of it. “Tch!”
“Gotcha-oh shi-!” he shouts, excitement turning to worry as instead of falling you plant your feet. And before he can react throw your head forward. Skull cracks against skull, the blow knocking Karn Jr’s grip loose and sending him flying. “GYAAAAAAH!!”

“You’ve gotten faster.” you comment, your son flipping back to all fours and tearing up the forest ground as he slides to a stop. “But you’ve gotta be ready for anything.”

And almost as if on cue, suddenly you feel several unfamiliar powerlevels seemingly spring up out of nowhere around you. Fortunately he feels it as well, you both wordlessly dashing to each other and going back-to-back. From the forest you hear several unfamiliar low growls, but as more and more appear, and the individual growls become a chorus of menace, you get the distinct feeling you actually have heard that noise before, long ago.”

“Dad?” Karn Jr asks, you sensing his nervousness. Despite his power, your son was raised in a much more peaceful time than even his older siblings. And outside the occasional disaster, and a few trips to Dreadzone to make sure he has at least a little experience, hasn’t experienced what real war is like. The mystery assailants’ powers aren’t anything exceptional, maybe a six digit reading at the absolute most, but there are a lot of them. And they just sprung up out of nowhere. Who knows how many more there are?
>>
>>4715247
“Grrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaah!!” shouts a giant, furred creature as it leaps towards you out of the tree line. And for a second you’re stunned, unable to process what you’re seeing. The last native, warrior-like furred land creature of New Salda was purged decades ago, so where did all of these come from? But you don’t have long to ponder, as dozens follow that one’s example.
“Dad?!” Karn Jr asks, still unsure. Which is why you give him a very simple order: “Attack.”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=zZMg9ryeWOw

You don’t know where these creatures came from but that doesn’t matter right now. They’re here, and you have to do something about it. Which you do, gathering your ki into your left pointer fingertip, and sweep it across your body. From your hand springs forth a conjured blade of ki, the Death Slash killing a dozen of them instantly. But the lead creature has lept above your blade, and now comes down with both fists laced together. No doubt intending to smash your head in. And while avoiding such an attack would be simple, if you move away your son would instead take that hit by surprise. So you plant your feet, brace yourself, and with one hand catch the creature’s fists. It’s eyes widen in surprise, it making a confused “ruh?” sound deep in it’s throat. Which you blast out, decapitating it with a quick shot from your Eye Beams. As the body falls you toss the head at another’s, both skulls exploding in bone and gore.

“HAAA!!” your son shouts, glancing behind you for an instant see the results of a wild Scattershot. Several are caught by the random blasts, but a half dozen are closing in fast.
“Let me know if you need help.” you say, turing your focus back to your own enemies as three close to grips with you. Without hesitation you grab another by the skull, crushing it in your left hand while kicking through another’s chest with your booted right foot. However the one to your right gets past your right-handed backhand, ducking the blow and driving it’s fist into your ribs. Thankfully the difference in power is so great you barely feel it, dropping your right elbow down so hard on it’s head you hear several bones snap. None of them yours. The creature drops, ki vanishing as it dies by your feet. The rest clearly see they’re outmatched, unsure wether to try attacking or fleeing, so you make that decision for them. Raising your hand and spreading your fingers, on each tip a small pinpoint of light begins glowing. “Die.”

And from each of your fingertips fires a Death Beam. The five beams each pierce through the head of one of the beast men, killing the remainder instantly. Your side cleared you glance back again, and watch how your son handles them.
>>
>>4715249
“Tch! HAAAAA!!” he shouts, countering the punch to his face with one in kind. The difference being the furred creature’s hit barely moves Karn Jr’s head, whereas your son’s blow splits it’s head apart. But several keep up the attack, your son too worried about defense and trying to block them all, instead of taking them all out as quickly as possible. For each one he kills, in a single strike, the others land a solid two to three hits first. Fortunately he doesn’t seem to be taking any actual damage, yet despite his speed advantage is still getting tagged somehow? But he eventually begins wearing down their numbers, the rest backing off into the tree line. “Hey, where do you think you’re goi-huh?”

As he’d started shouting a shadow appeared above you both. Turning towards the afternoon sun you see the cause. And feel your jaw drop.

SKREEEEEEEOOOOONK!!” comes the unmistakable screech of a pair of giant lizards, a monster you’d first killed decades ago, then the other years later here at home. But why here, why now?
“Dad?” your son asks, clearly scared. “Wh-What the hell is that?”
“Some old enemies who didn’t have the good sense to stay dead.” you reply, pulling back your right fist and create one of your javelins. But this one’s special, and as you throw the bolt of energy it splits into more than two dozen smaller javelins. At least a half dozen each pierce their faces, both crying out in rage for a moment before they detonate. In a flash their heads both explode, gore flying everywhere as their bodies drop. “But this isn’t right. Something’s wrong here.”

“Karn, we have a problem.”
“Dad, we’ve got a situation.”

Both Raven and Chilli think to you simultaneously. And feeling each others’ presence in your mind, you know this isn’t just a localized issue.

“The dead are rising all over New Salda.” Raven continues, your son deferring to her first. “The barrier between this realm and the underworld is weakened. Something terrible has to have happened.”
“I’m going down there, to try and figure out what’s going on.” Chilli tells you confidently. “If I need backup I’ll let you know.”
“Good hunting, I’ll stay on top of things on this side.” you tell him, then reach out to Meloka. Or try to, but can’t seem to reach her. So you reach out to Beerus’s assistant, the angel Whis. “Hey, Whis. Where’s Meloka?”
“Currently she is in another dimension, mastering her control.” the angel replies casually. “She won’t be ready to come out of there for some time still. Is there a problem?”

“Dammit, never mind.” you reply, and quickly relay the situation. “And if you can get ahold of that useless Supreme Kai, tell him this shit is urgent!”
“I will relay your words, and your displeasure.” the angel replies, smug as ever. “Anything else?”
>>
>>4715251
“Yeah. Tell my wife when she comes back from wherever you sent her that I love her.” you say to the angel, ending the link to him and focusing on the present. More specifically, to focus on your ki sense. In the years after the fall of the Covenant, Machine Mutants, then finally destroying the nigh-unkillable Majin Buu, New Salda had become a popular travel destination across the universe. Beings from all walks of life visit to see the home of the Saiyans, and the planet a Destroyer failed to destroy thanks to several Saiyan’s stepping up and rising to the challenge of a god. Which, unfortunately, means there could be a lot of collateral damage. You need to head back towards the city.

“Vegeta, we’re under attack.” you think to him, while getting Karn Jr to follow your lead and dash into the sky. “Where do you need me?”
“Northernmost city.” he replies near-instantly, you feeling his mind connected directly with more than a dozen others’. “Several of the Guard are down, one said there were Sangheili.”
“Dammit.” is all you reply to him, and turn to your son. Sure he’s powerful, but his battle senses are nowhere near yours. And if old Covenant assassins have been resurrected, there’s no way in hell he’s ready for them. “Head back to the house, protect your siblings, nieces, and nephews.”
“But-!” he starts, you silencing his objections.
“Your family may be in trouble.” you say sternly. “I’m entrusting their safety to you. Can you do it?”

He’s silent for several seconds, eyes wide in fear and worry. But after a few precious seconds he finally nods to you once, and blasts off. Hopefully between his sheer power, Meloka’s traps she’d left lying around, and Okira’s tricky ability, the kids there should be safe. Same for the ones on Raven’s island. For now you need to focus on protecting the rest of your people, and blast off towards the north. Which, in this form only takes you a couple seconds. You could have gone faster, but the shockwaves could have damaged the city and caused even more chaos. Which, as you arrive, see there is plenty of that to go around.

“Filthy monkeys! Die!!” you see a rather familiar gold-plated splitjaw shout, decapitating one of the Royal Guard with his twinned blades. You feel fury rising up inside you, and don’t even bother trying to fight fair. This undead asshole just shows up, and starts trying to rekindle the war you’d personally ended by beating Truth and his Stand years ago? Not while you’re around. Without announcing your presence again gather your giant javelin, but it seems the splitjaw’s instincts are working, because he looks up and sees you. And, despite your furrier form, clearly recognizes you. “YOU!!”

“Me.” you reply, and toss the javelin.
>>
>>4715252
The one spear splits into dozens, the Arbiter activating one of their energy shields around himself. So your spears, instead of filling him with holes are deflected, glancing off the shield to embed themselves in everything around the bastard. But he knows how this attack works, leaving the shield up until your attacks detonate. Then in the smoke drops the shield, and activates his stealth. You lose sight of that gaudy golden armor, wondering where he went when suddenly your instincts scream at you in warning. Taking the momentum of pulling back from the throw you spin counterclockwise out around whatever’s behind you, and as you spin fully around watch another Sangheili’s unarmored arm materialize trying to grab you from behind.

“Another one? How many of you are there?” you ask, rhetorically, when several dozen beams are fired from the ground up at you. Because of course that’s the moment when they’d fire. Without hesitation you retaliate, slamming both hands together. Then as you pull them apart create a massive ball of ki, it absorbing their shots cleanly as you then turn and toss it at the Arbiter close to you. “Take this!!”
“Useless!” the Arbiter taunts, and charges unarmored left shoulder first into your attack. And to your surprise your attack begins breaking down against him, your attack seemingly shattering as he charges through it at you. “You die!”
“No. You.” you reply, and catch his arm. Not his wrist, but in your bulked up form grab the Arbiter’s entire forearm in your left hand. Then before he can react, your right fist slams against his chest. The impact is so violent it tears the splitjaw’s arm off at the elbow, body streaking to the ground and crashing hard enough to form a massive crater. As he crashes down to the ground you pull back your right arm, gathering ki in your fist before firing it down. The emerald ball descends, and just before it would’ve hit the ground your Scattershot splits into dozens of smaller blasts that completely fill the crater. And as they do, you suddenly sense another one right behind you. So you move, dashing straight down after leaving an Afterimage of yourself where you just were.

“DIE-huh?” come the confused voice of the first Arbiter, materializing from thin air as his blade stabs through your image’s chest. Before he can figure out what happened you lift your right hand, and fire a wave of overwhelming emerald ki sky-high. The bastard doesn’t even realize what happened, as your attack instantly obliterates him.
“Is that all?” you say, looking slowly around you at the other, no-doubt cloaked Sangheili waiting for their chance to try and stab you in the back. “Are any of you even worth my time now?”
>>
>>4715255
“ You bastard!” one shouts from, where else, behind you. So without turning around point your left thumb over your shoulder, and fire a Death Beam. Your attack finds it’s mark, judging from the sudden gasps around you and the muffled gurgle of someone dying. “Glurk!”
“Seriously, get your asses back to hell.” you order, arms crossed and emerald aura flaring up around you menacingly. “Before I kill you all, all over again.”

None of the newly-alive Sangheili want to try you after that, and begin scattering. But you’re not gonna just let them go. They could kill your people, those not at least Super Saiyans. So you spread your arms and fingers wide, focusing on their faint retreating ki signatures, and fire. Ten beams fly from your fingertips, each shot finding a mark and instantly killing ten of them outright, leaving a single one fleeing. You debate pursuing that one as well, when suddenly Chilli’s ki signature explodes to your senses. His power swells tremendously, spiking to it’s peak. But just after it does, and Chilli’s power drops back down a bit after whatever attack he unleashed, you feel something sinister gathering. A dark force unlike anything you’ve ever felt is gathering by your son, quickly surpassing him as it keeps rising. Yeah, you’re not leaving him alone with whatever that is. So you raise your right hand’s first two fingers, press them to your forehead, and vanish. One moment you’re on New Salda, and the next a completely unfamiliar world. The ground is grey, sky is red, and you see what looks like a giant mound of slime folding in on itself. It shrinks faster and faster, turning from a giant blob into a humanoid-ish shape.

“Such power.” your son says, clearly impressed by the creature before you. And it’s certainly a powerful monster, sporting even more strength than the late Majin Buu and radiating with menace.
“I’ll take it head on.” you say, flaring your emerald aura up to try and get the creature’s attention. “Find an opening, and let’s end this thing.”
“Right!” he replies, taking to the air. The creature’s eyes follow him, no doubt ready to pursue, but that’s when you move. Pushing off the ground you charge the creature, closing the distance between you in an instant. It sees you at the last second, as you swing a right turning kick for it’s head. The creature lifts it’s arm to block, your strength catching it by surprise knocking it off-balance. Before it can recover you continue the movement, twisting into a left back kick aimed right at the creature’s chest. Yet as you kick, you don’t hit anything!

“Huh?” you say, and as your leg fully extends you see it what can only be described as dematerializing. The monster’s body breaks down into little pieces, vanishing into nothing as your foot passes through where it was. “What the-?”
>>
>>4715260
But just as you shout in surprise, the creature’s left hand quickly rematerializes, right into your jaw!

“Guh!” you exclaim, the sudden blow launching you back away as the creature’s body reassembles itself in seconds. Twisting and flipping backwards you land on your feet, facing the creature. It grins manically, chuckling to itself. Then to your surprise opens it’s mouth, firing a massive emerald wave of ki!
“GYAAAAA!!” it roars, everything before you disappearing. The attack moved so fast you couldn’t dodge or activate your Barrier, forced to tank the hit head-on. Unable to withstand that power fired like with your giant frame, you are forced sliding backwards, feet carving twin trenches in the ground as the force of the creature’s attack repels you. Then after several seconds it’s over, energy petering out and fading away only to reveal that the monster is gone again!

“Alright you bastard, where’d you go?” you mutter, taking your fighting stance. And despite expanding your ki senses again can’t track the creature. You sense it’s presence all around you, but can’t pin down where it’ll come from next.
“LEFT!!” Chilli suddenly shouts, and you don’t hesitate. Gathering ki into your right as you spin, left forearm knocking the creature’s arm aside, your ki-clad right fist crashes right into the monster’s face and explodes. “Yeah!”
“Guuuyaaaaaa!!” it shouts, launched back from you and tumbling through the air. But you don’t let it get far, dashing forward and grabbing this monster by the foot. “Guh?”
“HAAAAAAAA!!” you shout, slamming this creature down hard to the ground. The impact shatters the ground beneath him, you slamming the monster down around over and over again before pitching it straight up into the sky. “Alright you bastard. Try this! FINAL FLASH!!”

As you roar, firing the powerful golden beam overhead, suddenly you sense something wrong. But you don’t have time to ponder that, as just before your golden beam would strike, suddenly a portal opens right before you. A portal in front of your own attack! You don’t have time to defend yourself, or even shout in surprise as your own attack blasts you. Everything disappears inside that wave of golden energy, the overwhelming power of your own attack blowing you away. Everything goes dark for a moment, you feeling on the verge of passing out when you hear your son calling.

“Dad? Dad, are you okay?” Chilli shouts, sounding like his voice is coming from down a long hallway. But after a few seconds snap yourself back to focus, ignoring the damage you just took. “Please, be alive.”
“Ow.” you say, struggling to push yourself back upright as you open your eyes. And find yourself inside a crystal structure, Chilli looking down worriedly at you. “Bastard hit me with my own attack.”
>>
>>4715265
“We gotta move.” Chilli says, as you see the creature pick something up off the ground. And whatever it was morphs, becoming a giant sword in it’s hands. “Shit! Everything Janemba touches gets corrupted by his overwhelming evil energy. That sword will be far more dangerous than normal.”

And was he right. This “Janemba” as Chilli calls him slashes from still a ways away, but a blade of purple ki slashes out from the sword at you. Not trusting that attack you rolto your right, and despite Chilli’s crystal dome shielding you both the blade cuts right through it as if it isn’t even there.

“Two can play at that game.” you say, reaching back for your own blade. Only to grab onto air, realizing the ancient sword is still back at your place on New Salda. “Shit.”
“Eat this!” Chilli shouts, the dome around you both shattering. But then all the pieces fly towards the creature, a storm of razor-sharp crystal blades flying towards it’s face. However the creature merely smirks, running one finger in a line before it. And then reality itself seems to shatter, shards of it flying right into Chilli’s storm. The two attacks collide, the sound ear-shredding as the different shards collide. After several seconds both attacks end, leaving you and Chilli facing the monster down in oppressive silence until he speaks up. “Dammit. This monster’s unbeatable.”
“Well now. Someone’s created a real monster here.” comes a refined, familiar voice. You both turn, and see the statuesque form of the Supreme Kai in training, Kars. “I’d heard the Soul Clensing Machine had malfunctioned, but to think it could make a being this powerful...”

“Kars? What are you doing here?” you ask, to which the Supreme Kai to-be smirks.
“What do you think? I’m doing my job.” he replies, reaching up and taking off his Kai earrings before holding them out to you. “Here. You two put these on.”
“The Potara.” you say, remembering how they work from the time you’d fused with Ubo against Buu. “But what about you?”
“I’ll distract your monster, but you better hurry.” he says, flame-like divine aura exploding up around him. “I don’t have the raw power to put him down. Za Warudo!!”

“You ready?” you ask your son, sighing out and powering back down to your base form as you attach the earring to your right ear.
“Ready.” he replies, doing the same. As he does you feel yourself being pulled towards him, the two of you colliding and merging. Everything disappears in a flash of light, and when it fades you are reborn as a new being.

“I am neither Karn nor Chilli.” you say, clenching your fists and transforming. Yellow-green ki surges up around you as your prodigious strength multiplies hundreds of times over. “I am the one who will end you!”

>Kar's being a good guy.
>What a chad.
>>
Oh man, that was a good intermission. It's fun to see what Karn Jr. might be like in the future.
>“What do you think? I’m doing my job.”
Good ol' Kars, he knows what we want to hear.
>don’t have the raw power to put him down
Uh huh, sure thing. Kars definitely wouldn't hold back to keep his cards close to his chest, and to gauge what we're capable of. I'm not saying that I think he's someone we shouldn't trust though.
>>
>>4715289
That's fine, I'll say it instead, fuck Kars, Final Flash his fancy ass.
>>
>>4715267
>“I am neither Karn nor Chilli.” you say, clenching your fists and transforming.
"Kali" sounds like a good enough name. Not to mention very fitting since this fusion is an avatar of Death.
>>
>>4715279
Not necessarily a GOOD guy, but one who actually fulfills the obligations of being Supreme Kai.
>>4715289
His path is an interesting one. Kid has prodigious power and potential, but may lack the killer and survival instincts of even his older siblings.
He knows to Karn there are two types of deities. Those who do their jobs, and those on the chopping block.
Kars is insanely hard to put down, but that doesn’t mean he’s powerful. And why would he go all-out, when someone many many times his own power is right there to be created?
>>4715290
Ha
>>4715295
A very fitting name for walking death.
>>
It’s nice to see Kars at least doing his job, unlike Shin.
>>
>>4715267
>“The Potara.” you say, remembering how they work from the time you’d fused with Ubo against Buu. “But what about you?”
Kinda glossed over this, holy shit.
How unfair was this fight?
How excited did Beerus get when he felt the universe quake under the force of Kubo's titanic bitch slaps?
>>
>>4715365
He actually DOES things, instead of sitting back and watching.
>>4715406
>How unfair was this fight?
Yes. About as unfair as Vegito vs Buu was.
Beerus had gone back home by then, but was rather curious
>>
>>4715440
>He actually DOES things, instead of sitting back and watching.
Now to be fair, Shin DID do something.
Once.
And it blew up in his face.
Get it right.
>>
Ok, i liked that intermission. Good job GD
>>
Glad you all enjoyed this intermission, right now I have one more planned for before this episode resumes. In the meantime, sorry I didn’t run this weekend. I had plans, but almost as expected of my first date in almost 5 years shit didn’t work out. Back to being a recluse I guess.

>>4715465
I said things, plural. And let’s face it, if for no other reason Kars is better than Shin because he ACTS. He has goals, and actively pursues them.
>>4715779
Glad you liked it. It was a bit different than many of the others I did, including not winning on-screen. Glad to see it was so well-received.

Very very interesting. Janemba being more busted then canon from all the souls that got sent into it I imagine. And Tatsu would weep if he saw how soft our boy is.

Also
>FINALLY PRIMAL BESERKER I AM ERECT.

The double Godzillas were funny ngl.

Also Kars showing up is interesting. Given that Janemba is a being of pure energy I'm honestly unsure if Kars COULD beat it if he went out all.

I doubt he's scouting us out, he's had decades to spy on Karn and his big fights, and throwing Potara at us also isn't anything new going by the Ubo/Karn Situation. Probably just Kars being lazy and letting us handle the problem while he buys us time while further intagrating himself to us by appearing to do his job.
>>

>>4716014
Just imagine how many more thousands of planets will have been subjugated by the time Karn’s an old man?
Not just pure energy, but pure negative energy. Janemba is one of the beings a Spirit Bomb would 100% kill if it hit.
At that point in time, Kars would be well aware of what Karn could do. He’d honestly be more interested in Meloka, a Saiyan wielding divine ki than a more-powerful mortal Saiyan. He could potentially unlock Blue, or Rosé.
>>
>>4716014
>And Tatsu would weep if he saw how soft our boy is.
It was already a problem with Chaya and Caulifla, though that was sorted out by the war with the Hive.
Frankly speaking, we know exactly how to instill the killer instincts he'll need.
The question is will we have the opportunity to put him through that kind of "training" when he's ready?
Only time will tell.

Honestly I could see it being a toss-up between Blue and Rosé for Kars.
I guess it really depends on whether or not he's too disconnected from the realm of mortals and/or whether or not he's truly made the power of the divine his own.
That said, you'd think he'd try mixing Divine Ki and Super Saiyan at this point already.
He's pretty creative and it's a given that mixing and matching transformations would have interesting results.

Ya know, I just thought of something.
Wouldn't it be funny if Tarble, our defacto weakest student, ended up beating Shin in a duel?
Yeah it's a long shot, but I feel like he can rise to the challenge once he hears about Shin's colossal fuck-ups.
The goal for the young man is a base power level of at least 10,000,000 and complete mastery of the Ascended Super Saiyan form by Age 755.
Now that sounds like a lot to ask for somebody who doesn't have protagonist powers, but stay with me here.
He's gonna have a much better training environment than most Saiyans have had in the history of the species.
He also has King Vegeta's admittedly above average genetics, so he should be able to make some quick gains.
Given the exponential nature of gravity training based gains and zenkai boosts, it's entirely possible.
It's just gonna be the most grueling training he will ever have to endure.
With teachers like Karn, Meloka, The Guardian, and Bane when he can't resist feeding Karn lines, he's gonna get stronger no matter what.

Buu-saga Super Saiyans are stronger than Shin, who was actually stronger than canon Freeza. And considering Goku’s base then was around 60million(still only HALF of Freeza’s fourth form, for context), this means his Super Saiyan would be right around 3 billion. For further context, Teen Gohan’s SS2 was roughly 4 billion. Shin was probably weaker than Perfect Cell. While making him that strong isn’t entirely out of the realm of possiblities, there are many other students who’ve already gone Super Saiyan.

Okay I'm following you there.
>And considering Goku’s base then was around 60million(still only HALF of Freeza’s fourth form, for context)
Checks out since he was training in Otherworld for 7 years straight.
>For further context, Teen Gohan’s SS2 was roughly 4 billion
I can believe that I guess, even if it is kinda outlandish to have a base powerlevel of 40 Million at 11 years old.
>Shin was probably weaker than Perfect Cell
Replace "probably" with "definitely". Dude was clearly freaking out at how powerful the ningen had become while he was wasting time and being useless.
>While making him that strong isn’t entirely out of the realm of possiblities, there are many other students who’ve already gone Super Saiyan
I'd be happy to see any of our students beat Shin's ass honestly.
It's just that getting beat by Tarble would be the ultimate insult.
>The dumbest word filter ever. A site doesn’t censor nigger but do for that? Clearly only one directly references the moderators and janitors, and they don’t like it
It's the only amount of control they will ever have in their short, miserable, hot-pocket ridden lives.

As a fat anon who just started a gym membership, would Karn and Anons have any advice on losing weight?

I know I could ask the fitness board, but they would probably give me actual advice and not memes.
>>
>>4720867
controlling the calories you put into your body will become far more important to your weight loss goal than pumping it hard at the gym
so focus on that more than on working out unless your goal is to go straight from fat to swole
>>
>>4720867
The sticky on /fit/ is good iirc, be sure to check that out for a good overview and starting point. While you're new, don't feel like you have to bust your ass every day pushing yourself to the limit, the key is to focus on forming a good habit of regular exercise and a healthy diet/caloric deficit that you can keep up (the combination of diet and exercise is important). Hell, even if you take it easy at first if you're doing weightlifting the DOMS will still probably hit you hard.
Was there anything in particular you were wondering about?
>>
>>4720867
What this guy >>4720875 said.
Keeping your portions reasonable and counting your calories is gonna be vital to dropping weight.
Try to figure out what's enough to keep you satisfied, and just that.
You shouldn't be coming out of most meals sluggish and feeling like another bite is gonna make you vomit.
One trick that I use is eating mostly on small plates, that way you can't really grab excessive amounts of food.
Whatever you do though, DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF.
That shit will basically turn off your metabolism and eat away your muscle mass long before your body fat.
As far as exercises that burn fat? Cardio is king. Running, cycling, swimming, hiking, etc...
Get your ass moving and working.
>>
>>4720867
Count calories, eat healthy, drink water and most importantly, CARDIO. Hit up the sticky on /fit/ for more info. Also, just in case it needs to be said, don’t feel self conscious at the gym. Nobody is going to be judging you or really care what you’re doing. Lose weight and get gains brother.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 153 Intermission II-

AGE ???, ???

“Dammit! I gotta get out of here!” you think to yourself, looking around the room. But all you see are reflections of yourself, each one looking more horrified than the last.
“What’s wrong, kiddo?” you hear, that damn clown’s voice taunting you by coming from everywhere yet nowhere at the same time. “Don’t you want to play?”
“Fuck off. My dad killed you.” you shout back, and seeing an opening rush forward. Between two giant mirrors you rush, only to suddenly be surrounded by IT! That fucking clown is everywhere, laughing at you as you run between them.

“This isn’t real, it’s all a dream.” you mutter, over and over as you keep running. You are Chilli, and somehow you’re back! Back in the world of that demented clown, one of the Covenant’s last attempts to stop your dad. But ultimately it failed, your old man defeated and killed it already. So this can’t be real, it all has to be a dream.
“This is no dream.” comes his voice, whispering in your ear seemingly right behind you. It startled you so bad you spin clockwise, crystal blade slashing the space you’d heard his voice whispering in your ear. But he’s not there, instead his maniacal laughter echoes around the maze. “There’s no escape. After all, this Carnival’s FOREVER! AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!”

As the clown laughs his face fills every mirror, every way you turn can do nothing but see him laughing at you. But instead of being scared, you feel something else bubbling up. Something violent, and angry.

“Get out of my head.” you say, voice dangerously low as you grip the conjured crystal blade in both hands, pulled back and ready to swing horizontally. “Dark magic: Dimension Slash!”

And as you sweep the dark-steeped crystal blade from left to right, a blade of pure lightless energy leaps forth. Everything past you is slashed right through, and after a second since your cut wasn’t perfectly level, the entire building’s upper half begins sliding towards your left. The top halves of the mirrors all begin falling, shattering on the floor as the clown howls in outrage.

“NOOOOOO! You can’t cheat the game!” he shouts, and everything stops. The unsupported upper half of the building, even the falling mirrors simply freeze in place. Then, to your surprise all begin restoring themselves to how they were before your attack. “This is MY world! What I say goes!!”
“Dark Magic: Dimensi-“ you start, preparing the attack again when suddenly there’s a sharp pain in your gut. Looking down in shock you see what looks like a Hive creature’s spear point of a tail piercing through your stomach.
>>
>>4722261
“Dammit.” you exhale, breathing getting hard. Dropping the sword you try and grab the tail, to keep it from doing any more damage. But the spear point begins changing, shifting from the black chitinous material into that fucking clown’s face.
“Boo.” he replies with an evil smile, then lunges teeth first at your right eye!
“GAAAAAA!!” you scream in panic, bolting upright and right out of bed. Chest heaving you look around, and despite everything still being dark, Megumin’s room seems to be how you’d left it before the two of you’d gone to bed the night before.

“Hey, you have another nightmare?” Megumin asks sleepily, you sighing out and turning to face her. But as you do freeze in shock, that damned clown’s face is where your fiancé’s should be! You leap back out of bed shocked, the clown just grinning evilly.
“What’s wrong? Don’t you love me?” he asks, speaking in her voice as she begins crawling on all fours towards you. “I thought you said we’d be together forever?”
“You damn clown!” you snarl, rage building and golden aura flaring at this bastard DARING to use your wife-to-be as a weapon against you. Your wrath boils over, and without thinking fire a Scatter Beam from your hand into that clown’s face. But just as the attack hits it vanishes, your attack killing Megumin instead.

“Ch-Chii....?” she breaths out confused, flopping to the ground lifelessly. Your blood runs cold, as your worst fears came to pass. You not only hurt Megumin, but actually killed her! Tears begin welling in your eyes, dropping to your knees beside her body. Unable to look away you watch as her blood runs freely from the wounds, and suddenly a pair of arms wrap around you from behind, as if to comfort you.
“Don’t worry, you’ll always have me.” that bastard whispers in your ear, and despite the sudden surge of terror you can’t even find the will to move. His arms then stretch, wrapping around you several times and begin squeezing you tighter and tighter until it’s impossible to breathe. But you can’t even make yourself fight back, too shocked by what you’d done to react to the physical pain. Which actually seems to piss off the clown more, dropping you after several seconds. “Hmph. This is no fun. But how about.....This?”

And with a snap of his fingers, the world around you changes. One moment you are in yours and Megumin’s shared room at their folks’ home, and the next in an all-too-familiar room. The stone walls that haunt your nightmares still now surround you once more, the broken sword Blue Flame on the ground where Megumin’d just been laying. But worst of all, is she’s now being held captive by that bastard!

“Megumin!”

“Chilli?! What’s going o-!” she shouts in confusion, the clown’s hand covering her mouth and muffling her. To her credit she still tries fighting him, biting down on the clown’s hand hard enough to make you wince, but he isn’t phased. In fact, the clown only has eyes for you.
“What about now, boy?” he asks, conjuring a very basic-seeming kitchen knife and holding it to her throat. “Feel like resisting me now?”

“This isn’t real.” you say, everything finally clicking in your head that this is all a dream and not real. And using some of your old Teacher’s lessons take a deep breath, and calm your mind. Everything vanishes: the room, Megumin, even that damned clown. All that’s left is yourself, floating in an empty void. Sighing out, you then take a deep breath, and open your eyes.

Open spoiler pic here

“Miss me?” the clown asks with a wicked grin, you screaming in shock as your body jerks upright. Panicked you look around in confusion, not sure where you are, and it takes a second or two to recognize that you’re back in Megumin’s room. Who is still currently asleep, back to you and hair hiding her face. But you have this feeling of pure dread in your gut, that this Megumin is a fake too and you’re still asleep. Paralyzed by fear you’re unable to move away, but also unable to move closer and check for yourself. So you’re frozen, staring at the back of your fiancé’s head. Are you really awake, or is this just ANOTHER dream? You feel the tension building, and when you can’t take it anymore reach out, place your hand on her shoulder, and roll her towards you only to see-

Can't wait to see what power the Shokan prince is bringing to this battle. You got to be very confident to challenge Karn now, especially knowing what he can do, and Goro surely knows.
One more thing GD. Once quests resumes and we will battle Goro and maybe later probably continue training if Karn in character notices among people who are there Kakarot and/or Parsla, can you perhaps mention it in post?
I'm really curious if they decide to show up, and I am guessing his battle with Nappa's big relative is already over.

>While still sliding he rises to his feet, slamming his arms together and shouting, “Final Flash!” But you don’t move, glaring at the blast and hardening your emerald aura flowing around you. His blasts strikes, but, unable to pierce your energy his attack is stopped short.
That's very cool, but I assume it only works when the difference in power is staggering. For blocking real heavy attacks you need a proper barrier.
Then there's this.
>>4715265
>Then to your surprise opens it’s mouth, firing a massive emerald wave of ki!
>“GYAAAAA!!” it roars, everything before you disappearing. The attack moved so fast you couldn’t dodge or activate your Barrier, forced to tank the hit head-on.
So you need a moment to get the barrier up. This makes me wonder if it's possible to train those defensive skills well enough to be able to project the barrier near instantly. Be so accustomed to the skill that, the moment you want it, it's there. No more not getting it in time.

I understand that perhaps making a whole sphere that fast may be difficult and maybe more energy consuming. So let's drop that shape.
Maybe get something closer to the body like Energy Body technique but not for melee. Less radius, so maybe it will make it simpler.
>Energy body is for melee.
>Barrier is for energy attacks.
Ideally later after enough training it would allow to develop a technique like Energy Body but for both melee and energy defense.

I'm interested in such technique because there were times where everything was depending upon Karn. If he would fall things would go bad, so to get more prepared for absolutely disastrous situations something like this would be nice.
Fast enough to turn on the moment when you need it, and quickly deactivated to not waste energy when not needed. It would allow to go in longer battles without damage if we could shield from it like this. Resistance, shielding from damage is very important, some hits Karn took in the past were pretty dangerous. I'm thinking about this in context of those really big threats that may come in the future.

Another reason for this is I think we really need to upgrade Karn's defense. Remember that time when Meloka used super concentrated Ki energy attack to pierce THROUGH Karn's barrier?
I feel like getting better defense is necessary, unless Karn is going to take one day Jiren's "hitting like a train" punches without any special defense.
Is this idea possible to make it happen?

>Also Jiren in the gif demonstrates how much protection you can get from just your Ki. He did not even move and his wall of energy not only blocked but also thrown away the attacker.

>>4722916
Dunno how I dropped my reply to >>4722376, but nice.
>>4722993
Ha
>>4723425
Glad you enjoyed.
And yes, Okira’s future is going to be... Interesting
A good question. One way to tell is if Meloka goes to train with Whis alone or with, someone else.
>but we got unexpected horror instead
The best kind of horror
Kakarot’s battle is long over. He won, soundly, in case you weren’t sure.
>>4723429
It works off the Energy Body and Barrier principles, with a level of skill beyond your current limit. Plus being an absolute monster helps.
Quicker activation, after a certain point, is only available if you’re READY to deploy it. Like the Javelins, or Scattershots, or even Eye Beams instead of the unfocused waves that can hurt yourself too. You still have to actively think of and release that energy
As for that gif, that’s actually related to his sheer, ridiculous power. The density of his restrained energy is like hitting an immovable wall. I mean, just look at what a normal, unrestrained punch from him does.
>Remember that time when Meloka used super concentrated Ki energy attack to pierce THROUGH Karn's barrier?
That’s actually something she’d been working on
>>
>>4723458
>That’s actually something she’d been working on
Is it something she'd be willing to teach?
I'd love to have a few more techniques that let us punch above our weight class like that.
>>
>>4723463
Potentially, once the kinks are worked out. And that’s not even above your weight class, that’s a technique that’ll straight-up punch through energy armor.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After stopping Kakarot’s battle with an unknown Super Saiyan in the interest of protecting the selected training grounds, Karn then took his family to eat wih several of his students. While there discussing his plans for their training going forward, a lone Covenant assassin appeared and tried to avenge the loss of his homeworld and death of the Prophets, mostly by your own hand. And after taking out the trash and finishing lunch flew to the training grounds north of the city, only to be confronted by a four-armed fighter. As we rejoin Karn, the self-proclaimed Shokan has just passed through Meloka’s Hellzone Prison without much trouble.

“Stand and face me, pretender!” he snarls, taking an unfamiliar stance that allows all of his arms to be at different ready positions. “And face the might of true Dragon’s blood!”
“Want me to get this guy out of here?” Katsu, one of your non-Super Saiyan students asks. To which the Shokan clearly takes offense to.
“HA! You think YOU can stop ME?!” the four armed fighter says, incredulous. “I could beat you with all four arms tied behind my back!”
“Oh yeah?” Katsu snarls, but before he can take more than a single step forward runs into the back of your outstretched hand. “Karn?”
“Look. I don’t know who you are, or why a name others call me bothers you so damn bad.” you say, then take two steps toward the Shokan while scanning him over with your ki sense. And despite this creature’s bravado, you’re still stronger than him without even transforming. “But if you want to fight, then let’s just make this quick. I have students coming here to actually learn from me, and not just waste my time.”

“Yo-You Dare?!” he sputters angrily, the man clearly used to getting his way when he speaks. “I am Goro, warrior prince of the proud Shokan people! You disgrace the name of Dragon! For my people’s honor, I will break yo-!”
“Make another move. I dare you.” Meloka says in the four armed man’s ear, energy blade pressed to his throat. In less than the blink of an eye she’d moved, setting both Okira and Karn Jr down where she was standing then dashing behind the giant monster of a man. She then pressed the blade in a little deeper, a small rivulet of blood running down his neck.
“You know, someone already tried assassinating me today.” you tell him, gesturing Meloka to let him go. Which she does slowly, carefully not moving the blade out from under his chin until the last moment she gets clear of his large arms. “Today’s a really bad time to be making threats like that.”
“Hiding behind your woman, I see.” he says, clearly trying to goad you. But it doesn’t work.
cont
>>
>>4724659
“If I were hiding behind her, you would already be dead and I’d have already forgotten your name.” you tell him, then turn. Ignoring him completely, you turn back to your students already here, and have them start going over everything and making sure it’s all ready to go. Only then do you turn back to the man, who’s growing visibly more angry by the second. “But if you really want me to beat your ass personally, Goro, I have a minute or two I can spare before my classes are to begin.”

Saying this you drop into your fighting stance, feet planted wide with your left arm up defensively, right arm pulled back and ready to strike at a moment’s notice.

“So let’s make this quick.” you say, gesturing for him to come at you with your left hand
“I will enjoy breaking you and your pride, ape.” Goro says, arms shifting into a different arrangement that still protects him from all sides. “Feel the wrath of true Dragon!”

Looks like it’s fighting time. How will you handle this?

“Wrath, huh?” you ask, an idea coming to mind. And sure, it would be quite insulting. But this guy’s just asking to be put in his place. “I’ll show you wrath. HRRYAAAAAAA!!”

Roaring you unleash your power, muscles expanding and strengthening as you transform into your Berserker form. Your entire body expands, growing taller and broader than the four armed Shokan before you. As your transformation finishes you sigh, arms by your sides as your emerald ki surges up around you. Looking down now on the Shokan you don’t even bother to retake your fighting stance, the difference between you strengths now astronomical.

“Let’s make this easier on you.” you say, voice a bit rougher and more gruff in your transformed state. “Let’s see if you can even move me from this spot.”
“I’ll not be made light of!” the Shokan bellows, leaping at you and punching you with both right fists. His upper right fist slams into your jaw, while his lower one strikes just below your left pectoral. Yet you barely feel it, his fists not budging you. Which clearly surprises the Shokan, eyes widening as he sees how ineffective his attack was. However this isn’t enough to make him back down, instead swinging now with both left fists. This time both are aimed for the right side of your jaw, but again you don’t move. “RRRRAAAAAA!!”

Both fists slam into the side of your jaw, turning your head a bit. But your feet remain planted, unmoved despite the concentrated attack. Smirking at his shock, you clench yourself fists, and for a single instant Ascend. The sudden doubling of your aura’s intensity blows Goro back, sending him flying back the way he’d come. Flipping back the Shokan lands on all six limbs, sliding to a stop and snarling up at you like an enraged beast. Then as he rises that same fiery aura gathers around his forearms, planting his feet.

“I will show you power!” he roars, then one after another punches each fist forward. With each one he launches that flame-like energy in a ball towards you, and for a moment debate activating your Barrier. But then you disregard that idea, and simply watch them approach. One after another the fireballs slam into your chest, each one packing a surprising punch. Yet they aren’t powerful enough, and even with all four can’t knock you back.
“Is that it?” you ask, raising a brow and crossing your arms as the flames burn out. “Was that really your best shot?”
“Fool! I have not yet begun to fight!” the Shokan snarls, but you notice less fire behind his eyes than when you’d started. He seems less certain of himself, worry creeping into his stance. He’s afraid.

But what do you do?

“You can’t even budge me from this spot. This is over.” you say, sighing and powering back down to your base form. “Go get a lot stronger before even trying to challenge me again. That said, I am hosting training sessions today. And you’re welcome to join us.”
“You-! You dare-!” he snarls, face actually twitching in outrage. “You dare mock me!?”
“If not then you can just leave, my training isn’t for the faint of heart.” you say, turning towards your right to walk away. “But this fight is over.”

“I’LL KILL YOU!!” Goro roars, launching himself towards you in a blind fury. You just sigh, then transform back into your Berserker form and spin counterclockwise back towards the Shokan fist-first. Before he even realizes what’s happened your right fist crashes against the whole left side of Goro’s head, and continuing the motion punch his head right into the ground.

BOOM

As the dust slowly clears around you, in the newly-made crater, you’re shocked to see Goro’s still alive. Clearly stunned and disoriented, but still breathing. Impressive.

“I told you, this fight is over.” you say, grabbing his entire head in your right hand and slowly floating up and out of the crater with him in tow. Focusing your ki sense you find a pretty abandoned area near the landing pads, where non-PTO craft land, and try to judge the power needed to send him there. “And don’t come back until you’re strong enough to be worth my time!”

Releasing his head you swing with the left, fist striking his sternum hard enough to send the Shokan flying. Albeit with a few more broken bones than he arrived with, but that was his own foolish choice. Powering down, you wait a second before immediately powering up again, completing the signal to let everyone know their training is about to resume.

“What a dumbass.” Lattu says, having watched the whole thing without comment. But the way he acted reminds you of another royal you’d met years ago, long before you’d mastered your Super Saiyan powers and he became king. Perhaps that sort of arrogant behavior is heredity to royalty? Either way, with that handled you check over everything while everyone shows up, and the facilities seem unharmed buy the shocks of your punches. So once you figure everyone’s here, with quite a few new faces judging from the powerlevels you’re sensing leap atop one of the buildings, so everyone can see and hear you.

“Hope you all enjoyed your vacation. Because it’s time to get back to work.” you call out, addressing them all. “Some of you have been with me for awhile, and others of you are new. Anyone who wishes to get stronger is welcome, as long as you follow one rule.”

You let the sentence hang in the air, seeing the confusion on the faces of those who hadn’t trained with you before. Your students however already know that rule, eyeing you knowingly.

“Never. Give. Up.” you say, enunciating each word clear and precisely. “No matter how much it hurts, or how tired you are. Always give me everything you have. Never quit. Never relent. And push past your limits!”

While shouting the final word throw your right hand up, your students all immediately doing the same. Even Meloka, holding Okira and Karn Jr in one hand does the same, your namesake throwing his hand up too.

“Now, for those of you who are new, today’s your only chance to walk away.” you tell them. “Because once you commit to getting stronger, at all costs, then you can’t quit. Every single day, I will push you past your limits. You will break, your body will fail you. But if you keep pushing, then there is no limit to how strong you can get. So, what do you say? Are you in?”

A perfect, almost unnatural quiet hangs over the gathered mass of Saiyans. No one makes a sound, and not even the wind is blowing. Then one brave souls speaks up.

“I am.” a familiar voice shouts after several seconds, you seeing the one armed man you’d barely managed to save on Planet Acaagus. “I owe it to them, after all. I’m in.”

And this breaks the silence, everyone else agreeing to the terms in short order. And now, the size of your class has almost doubled. Thankfully you’d taken out the reservations for several of the buildings, and this area could well hold everyone. But now comes the most important part.

What single attribute is most important? Above all else, what will symbolize your students’ power?
>Super Saiyan. That is the single-most potent ability they can learn, and mastery of at least that form will be mandatory
>Base powerlevel training. Over the next few years, every single student of yours WILL have a powerlevel of at least a million
>Technique. All of them will at least know the Su Ma and Djem So, if not Camali’s Rope-A-Dope in time too.

Imagine an entire army just disappearing from your sensors only to appear inside your HQ. I seem to recall the covenant using the strategy to great effect.
>>

If they can master these techniques, they'll be fit to face most any opponent they come across

Also this one’s an HOUR vote, not simply a half-hour so you all can discuss and I can perhaps answer questions. This one’s important
>>
>>4724990
Oh, that's great then
>>4724978
>>4724977
Alright well I think we should state our clear cut reasons for our sides, so I'll wager mine. I think the multiple styles can be helpful for them encountering different situations and in general Su Ma should work well for them to avoid death and get good at dodging, especially against stronger opponents, such as the possible mysterious enemy coming to wipe us.

Also because we used to rely on our styles back when we were weaker to help us overcome obstacles, back when we were around their level or perhaps a bit further. It's a pretty solid path
>>
>>4724995
I see where you're coming from with the overcoming stronger opponents angle. But that hinges on how the army will operate. Will it be mainly sieges with mass combined fire or will it be mostly independent squads carrying out missions?
If it's the latter I would agree with your point. If it's the former I would say that having the ki control more than makes up for it when massed together.

Thank you for clarifying.
I'd like to argue for my position a little bit while the clock's still going.

Technique and Ki control are imperative to creating solid fighters who can potentially stand up to statistically superior forces, I won't deny that.
However I must stress the overwhelming advantages a superior base powerlevel (and subsequent overall powerlvel) can bring.
Technique and Ki control CAN make up for a difference in powerlevel, but only to a point.
Past a certain threshold though, and even the best conventional techniques start to become useless.

I'd also like to state that having an overall higher powerlevel is already an advantage most Saiyans have in comparison to the vast majority of the universe, you could say it's something we specialize in.
I think pushing further and refining what we're already good at first and foremost will yield the best results in the long term.
Specifically, Saiyan infants seem to come out stronger dependant on the powerlevel of their parents.
The prospect of every generation of Saiyans getting as much of a boost as possible is far too much to pass up I feel.
>>
>>4724995
Perhaps throw some endurance training in as well?
Karns legendary endurance is known, stands to reason our students should get it to.
>>
>>4725014
>Perhaps throw some endurance training in as well?
To clarify further this isn’t the ONLY thing to train your students in, and the others will be done as well. To a lesser extent. But this is for what will be the number one priority.
>>
>>4725012
Son of a bitch I didn't even think of the powerlevel boosts to the next generations. While we're at it we should add a stipulation that you can only take a mate once you've mastered super saiyan. Make it a right of passage.

>>4724977
Switching to this.
>>
>>4725010
Presumably we'll be back to independent squads to silence dissidents because we've cowed most of the universe now with Frieza's display.

>>4725012
Hmmm I get what you mean. It's like we'll just be prepping in defense to a greater powerlevel instead of trying to get on even footing. And yeah I agree somewhat, it's certainly appealing to get it out and done with, but I worry that our students may complicate powerlevel with everything. It's not just a matter of striking up, but also not getting dunked on by someone with a lower level than them as well.

Your right about the generational boost though, that is certainly appealing, more so since we're in such a rush for a baby boom in the coming peace, I respect the vote, certainly the one I'd go for if not for me just feeling technique right now
>>
>>4725012
That's a good point about the PL over generations thing. Getting a boost to something that snowballs like that early would be good. Not like it's the deciding factor, but right now I'm leaning towards powerlevel training. I'd say the next option I'd vote for would be achieving super saiyan, but it's a tough call. Getting to super saiyan would be great, but I'm not sure how much focusing primarily on getting the SS form would increase the rate at which they reach it. Wouldn't focusing on power level also make it easier for the students to become super saiyans?
>>
>>4725024
>>4725012
The generational powercreep is a major advantage to going power. By the same token, that can be said for Super Saiyan as well.
>>4724995
The different styles do have their own advantages, especially so against opponents who haven’t fought against that style before.
>>4725010
>on how the army will operate.
What army is left? The Covenant was the biggest force in the Universe; and where are they now? Broken, and scattered to the wind
>>
>>4725034
>I'd say the next option I'd vote for would be achieving super saiyan
A higher base powerlevel would make attaining the Super Saiyan form easier.
Just saying.

“Alright everyone, let’s get to work!” you shout, leaping down from the roof you’re standing on. “Split up into groups of no more than ten!”

And so your seasoned students help organize themselves with the others, forming into groups to go on rotation. Making sure at least two of your training veterans are in every group, you send half into the chambers starting at 10x New Salda’s gravity. Time to see what they’re really made of. And while you go from chamber to chamber via Instant Transmission, instructing them all on what to do and giving pointers, Meloka’s in charge of the others outside them. Doubtlessly working on their control, or focus. But after the first ten minutes or so into training, each of the groups well into their work, you teleport back outside only to see an unexpected sight.

“Hyaaa!” Meloka shouts, kicking one young man in the face as she rolls over another young woman’s back.
“Shyaa!” ANOTHER Meloka calls, backhanding an older, scarred woman’s Ki Blade aside with her left while punching her in the chest. Looking around you see one Meloka with each of the five groups not yet in a chamber, testing their abilities all at once. Meanwhile a sixth Meloka is studying them all from atop one of the chambers holding your youngest two children in her arms. Even splitting her power six ways, Meloka is still much too much for any of your groups of students to handle with a powerlevel of at least ten digits. Even Totoma, the strongest of your Super Saiyan students can’t do much as lay a single hit on her.
“Hey.” you say, to your wife beside you on top of the building where you’d appeared. “How’re they doing?”
“None of them are bad, they all know how to fight.” she says, you noticing a certain Saldaman B7 and the king’s brother Tarble both getting knocked around easily by one of her Multiform copies. “But that doesn’t mean they’re very good at it, much less have any real skill.”

“I’ll leave you to it, if you need a hand let me know.” reply, and once more return to your students in a chamber. For the next hour or so you work with those students, many one-on-one to do something correctly, then swap them out with Meloka’s. They’re all clearly battered and several are a bit bruised up, but that doesn’t mean you go easy on them. They all get sent straight to 10x New Salda’s gravity as well, you directing them all how to exercise properly. Teleporting from room to room you have them all set up and working, pushing them to go harder as well for at least an hour too. At the end of this you and Meloka gather them all, the students standing below you both atop the building before dismissing them for the day, letting them know today will be the easiest day before sending them off. And as they begin filing out, you notice Broly and both of the twins aren’t here!

“Hey, where’d the kids go?” you ask her, confused. “Didn’t they join in?”
“They’re in the ship’s chamber, Broly leading them in the same exercises.” she says, a proud smile on her face. The younger ones aren’t ready for ten times yet, so he took them back to train them himself.”
“Huh, hadn’t expected that.” you say, genuinely surprised. But happy nonetheless. “Gotta thank him for that.”
“Which is something important we need to decide.” she tells you. “While we’re here training the students, what about the kids? Where will they go? I don’t think Broly will just want to train them forever.”

Which is a good point, and something you hadn’t yet considered. No doubt Broly may not always be willing to train them himself, or maybe he will? Regardless you need a plan for that. However, before you can say anything your own stomach growls, having worked out beside and showing your pupils proper technique. You tried pushing them by doing the same work beside them, pushing their limits by calling them to keep up with your own pace. But now you realize just how much of an appetite you’ve worked up.

What will you do?
>Try hunting down another of those giant Mindslayers for your family to eat, it was quite delicious after all
>Go to Silver’s kitchen in your home, his food is always top notch
>Take the kids out fishing now that it’s evening, and see if that makes a difference what they find under the waves

“Let’s take them out fishing tonight, see if anything different’s out to get caught in the evening.” you say, Meloka just nodding. The two of you don’t bother flying back, instead you use your Instant Transmission and teleport the four of you onto the ship by Broly. Who just opened the door out, you all appearing behind him.

“AaaaaaAAAAA!” Karn Jr shouts, startling Broly so bad he transforms as he whips around to face you all. But immediately relaxes when he sees that it’s you all, and not some intruder.
“Hey. Training done?” he asks.
“For them. Now c’mon everyone, time to eat.” you say, the younger kids behind you all rushing up beside you. The now-ten of you leave the gravity chamber and make your way outside, where they clearly know what’s about to happen.
“I’m gonna catch the biggest one!” Caulifla shouts triumphantly, planting her hands in the sand in a four-point stance ready to blast off out over the seas.
“Not if I get a bigger one first.” Tatsu and Tomi say simultaneously, the twins holding hands to remain in contact while also preparing to launch themselves. In fact the only ones not immediately ready to go are Meloka who’s holding the two youngest, Broly, and yourself.

“Everyone ready? Get set!” you call out, right arm raised straight into the air. Then shout, dropping it, “GO!”
“HAAAAA!!” Cauli shouts, exploding off the ground straight forward. Meanwhile Tatsu and Tomi both fly more northward, Broly following the younger twins flying more southern.
“Better hurry out there hun, or there won’t be any more fish left in the ocean.” Meloka jokes, your wife already feeding your youngest son.
“Nah, I have an idea.” you say, smirking as you lift yo into the air. But instead of immediately flying out over the ocean, you take off over the mainland. At your speeds you cross the endure breadth of the landmass in seconds, coming to the other side of the ocean. Once out over open waters you expand your ki sense, searching out your prey in the waves below. And sure enough find them, two of the sharks swimming parallel down below. Gathering your ki into your fingertips and preparing a Death Slash to decapitate them both, suddenly you feel Broly’s power surging skyward as if he just transformed. Which is odd, as you can’t sense anything near that powerful around him.

What do you do?
>Instant Transmission to his side

Opening your mind, you try and reach out to your boy telepathically to ask him what’s wrong. However, the moment your mind touches his, you are immediately mentally assaulted by the feeling of a barbed spike driving through each of your ears into your head.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=rHTinEcgLn0
>inb4 “muh ears pt2”

“FUCK!!” you shout, or at least think you do. As you can’t hear anything at all any more. Unlike before, when you’d been facing the Mindslayer, you had at least expected something. This time, however, the sudden psychic attack catches you by complete surprise. You can’t even move your body, the attack stunning your body so badly you drop out of the sky like a rock. Eyes screwed shut and hands over your ears you don’t know where the sharks that were below you were, but after what feels like an hour but could only be a few moments of agony at most, your body finally begins unclenching. And feel your lungs burning, desperately needing air. So you immediately blast yourself off the bottom of the sea, breaking clear of the water in only a moment and gasping for air. Perhaps you were down there longer than you thought? “Shit, Broly!”

Without hesitation you again reach out to Broly, hoping your son’s okay. And sure enough your mind connects to his this timeline, and there’s no psychic barbs waiting for you.

“Broly? You okay?” you think to your son. And despite feeling his mind against yours, he doesn’t respond. Probably still struggling with the effects of that attack he took. But that’s more than enough for you, reaching up to your forehead and focusing on his ki signature, and vanish. Like hell you’re gonna let one of those giant bastards eat your boy! One second you’re in the air, taking a deep breath in in case you need it, and the next you’re back underwater. Next to another Mindslayer, it diving deeper and deeper into the ocean’s depths. You aren’t quite sure how deep you are down already, but the water is really dim and you can only see for maybe a dozen feet in any direction. So doubtlessly it must be quite a ways down. Now you’re gonna save your boy!

But how? What do you do?

“You’re not getting away!” you think to yourself, as the creature tries swimming deeper into the ocean. But you don’t just let it go, instead wrapping your arms tight around it’s tail and holding it against your right side. However, you’d underestimated everything underwater, from how much you can see to how fast the creature is going. So as soon as you latch on it dives deeper and deeper, and within a second or two everything is dark. Eyes open or closed doesn’t matter, as you can’t see anything in this pitch darkness. And what’s worse is, despite your trying to pull the beast towards the surface, it keeps descending lower and lower no matter how hard you pull against it. “Dammit! This isn’t working! I need more power!”

“GRRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, bubbles going everywhere as you explode up into your powerful Berserker form. And like a switch being thrown the creature is stopped in it’s tracks, your larger form’s additional power able to completely negate the Mindslayer’s momentum instantly. Knowing what’s about to happen you don’t hesitate, twisting your body around clockwise and dragging the beast with you. One, two, three full rotations you spin, building up a surprising amount of momentum in the deep sea before flinging the creature towards the sky with your full power. Your throw launches the Mindslayer, you following close behind as it quickly nears the surface of the sea. However just as it’s about to break through you stop, and focus your mind. Readying yourself for the sudden shock of it’s mental attack. And it’s a good thing you did, as the instant it’s head breaks the surface it unleashes that devastating attack.

“Not this time!” you shout as you break the surface, chasing after it again while gathering ki in your right hand. A crackling sphere of emerald energy forms in your palm, and as the beast tumbles over you get a clear shot of it’s head. “HAAAAAAAAA!!”

The green wave of energy bursts from your palm, engulfing the beast’s head and completely destroying it. You feel the beast’s death, ki plummeting but you’re not done yet. Ending the attack you dash skyward at the creature’s neck, and shove your left arm right down it’s throat. After a second or so of feeling around for your son you feel the armor material, and grab on to it tight. Then with a mighty heave pull Broly free! Your son bursts through the open wound, seemingly unconscious as the beast’s body flops lifelessly back into the sea with a sickening slap. However you couldn’t care less about it at the moment, your focus entirely on your son.

“Broly! Broly, can you hear me?” you ask, and despite still being transformed he doesn’t move or react. So you reach out mentally, and telepathically reach into his mind. “Broly? Are you okay?”
“D-Dad?” he replies, and to your relief begins blinking. His pupils appear as he powers back down, slowly realizing where he is. “What happe-OW! Why does my head hurt?”
“You got hit by a Mindslayer’s mental attack.” you tell him, gesturing down to the slowly-sinking corpse. Holding his head in his hands Broly shakes it off after a moment, seemingly fine. “You okay?”
“Yeah. Good enough.” he replies, wincing for a second before snapping back to focus. “Since you got it, we’d better take it back so everyone can eat.”

So you do, the two of you carrying it on your right shoulders as you fly back towards the ship. On the way Broly tells you what happened, how he went down after a shark. But then saw the shark get ambushed from below by the Mindslayer, and transformed to try and overpower it before everything went white. Next thing he knew he was being held in your arms.

“Those things are dangerous.” he finishes, you agreeing as you think to yourself. First there was the one, and now two? In one day? No way this is a coincidence, there has to be something more to this. You try and ponder on why these monsters are suddenly making themselves known, but can’t figure out any reason before arriving back at the ship. To which Kayle is the most excited to see you all, rushing up at you both immediately.
“WOAH!! You got anotha one!” she shouts, flying around you both. “And isn’t this one even bigger than this mornin’s?”
“I dunno, but it feels heavier.” you say, as the three of you descend to the beach. Together you and Broly drop the massive beast, Meloka looking at you both concerned. “Kayle, why don’t you show Maz and your siblings how to cook it, just like I showed you this morning?”
“OOO-KAY!!” she shouts excitedly, everyone gathering around and paying attention to her as you walk over to your wife.

“What the hell happened?” she asks, voice full of worry. “First Broly transformed, then you? And then you bring one of these monsters back? Why?”

You explain to her what Broly’d told you, telepathically so the younger kids can’t overhear you. About how it attacked and ate him, as well as how powerful those monsters are when swimming.

“I don’t know if we should keep doing this.” she says, now also telepathically. “At least, until we can figure out why those monsters are only now appearing and attacking our kids.”

Well? How do you respond?
>You agree, this needs answered before anyone else goes down into the deeper ocean
>Agree to no going alone, but they can still go in pairs with an older kid like Broly, Tomi, or Tatsu watching over and out for a younger one
>Disagree, one incident isn’t worth stopping them from learning and reinforcing a valuable skill they could need later in life

“I have to agree.” you reply, the sound of your kids cutting up the beast little more than background noise as the two of you converse mentally. But they’re the reason you’re making this decision, that beast could just as easily have bitten your son in half while he was stunned and coundn’t defend himself. And since he’s already leagues above the others, best to keep them safe. No point in them fighting unnecessary battles where the stakes are life and death, when there are other options. “Before anyone goes back into the deep waters, we need answers. And the first is why are these things suddenly so aggressive?”

“Here Momma! Try this!” little Kayle says, your daughter holding up the same cut of the tail she’d had for breakfast towards her mother. “I saved you the best part!”
“Thank you sweetie.” Meloka says, smiling warmly to your daughter as she sets Okira on her lap to free a hand before reaching for it. “I appreciate it very much.”

Kayle beams at the compliment, grinning from ear to ear before rushing back to the monster. You see the kids chowing down as well, and noticing the smell of cooked meat your stomach begins growling at you again.

“I’d better get me some as well, or there won’t be any left.” you say jokingly, but before you can turn Okira’s opening her mouth wide, and curiously going to take a bite of the tail. But just before she does, you notice what looks like some sort of mark on her tongue. It’s only for an instant, but you could have almost sworn there was what looked like a face on it. But what in the hell would a face be doing on her tongue? Maybe that psychic attack scrambled your brain a bit harder than you thought? Shaking your head and filing that away under “examine later,” you turn your attention to the felled Mindslayer, and start digging into your own supper.

After several minutes of nothing but eating, all that’s left of the beast are a few less-than-tasteful organs and the bones themselves. Which you toss back into the sea, not wanting to leave that mess on your beach. You and Meloka then have the kids all go shower off, washing the blood and juices from themselves before heading off towards your bed. However, Broly doesn’t go.

“Actually, I have somewhere to be.” he says, a bit shakily. You don’t pry, and tell him if he needs anything to let you know. He seems relieved you don’t start asking invasive questions, taking off back outside the ship after saying goodnight to everyone. But you’re still curious, and as he leaves you’re careful to follow his movements with your ki sense. Then, sure enough as you’d expected, he quickly arrives on Raven’s island. As an empath as well as a powerful magic user, of course he’d go to her after getting his mind assau-wait! Suddenly his ki signature vanishes!

>>4725776
After a moment of complete panic you realize that he’s probably just gone to another world or to Dreadzone via one of Raven’s portals. You sigh out in relief, and beside you Meloka does the same. Having no doubt been following her son’s path as well. But with Meloka and all your younger children here safe and sound beside you, sleep should come easily. But it doesn’t, despite everyone around you quickly dozing off. However you’re still awake, curious as to what you’d seen in your daughter’s mouth. Whatever that was on her tongue still bothers you. So with the kids lightly asleep you gingerly, gently grab her with telekinesis, lifting her off your wife’s chest and onto yours beside Caulifla. Who’d snuggled up on your left side, head on your left shoulder and is softly snoring.

Focusing on your youngest daughter, you bring your free left hand to her mouth, gently pulling open her jaw to get a better look at her tongue. And as you see it, your own jaw drops open. What the hell?!

Your daughter’s tongue is, well, not normal to say the least. Instead of a tongue, she...instead she has what looks like a dragon coiled up and sleeping inside her mouth! You’re so shocked that honestly you have no idea how to react. As you lay there dumbfounded, the dragon stirs, opening one giant eye. It sees you looking at it, seems to ignore you and shut it’s eyes. Then a moment later springs up and awake, lurching back from you as far as the confines of your infant daughter’s mouth allows.

“Oi! Who are you! Why are you looking at me?” it asks in a high-pitched, squeaky shout. Caulifla stirs in your arm, brows furrowing in her sleep but no one else so much as reacts to the tiny dragon’s yelling. Which gives you a pretty good idea what you’re working with here. Seems that your little Okira is also a Stand user, with a very, very unusual Stand. Before you can get over your shock, and think of an answer it attack, lunging out of her mouth and sinking it’s fangs into the fleshy bit between the knuckles of your thumb and forefinger on your left hand. The Stand bites hard enough to bring blood, but you barely wince at the pinprick. However your grip lessens due to the complete surprise, you letting go of the miniature Stand. Which immediately retreats back into Okira’s mouth.

“Huh.” you mutter, and look down at the tiny bite marks on your hand. “That was....Bizarre.”

But now that you know what’s going on, at least a little more than you did before, what now?
>Go to bed, you can talk with your daughter about this in the morning

Despite how startling your daughter’s Stand was, you’re not just going to let it go like that. So again you ready yourself to open Okira’s mouth, but this time you have a plan. Resting your left hand against her right cheek, instead of opening her mouth with it you begin using your telekinesis. So when it jumps out again, you’ll be ready. And sure enough, as you slowly, telekinetically open her mouth, the instant it’s wide enough the crimson dragon darts out between her teeth. It goes for where your hand was before, but this time you’re ready. And the moment it darts out, you grab ahold of the tiny dragon.

“Gotcha.” you whisper, thumb and middle finger catching it just behind the jaw. Your catch was perfect, the dragon not having enough room to turn around and bite you.
“Ahhh! H-Hey!?” it shrieks, Cauli mumbling something into your shoulder but doesn’t seem to wake up. “Who’re you?!”
“I could ask you the same thing.” you say, eyes narrowing as you stare down the tiny dragon. “Who are you? And why are you in my daughter’s mouth?”
“Daughter? Okira is my-Wait. You’re him? You’re her Daddy?” it asks, a Stand asking you that a bit unsettling. But you nod, and in a flash of insight let go of the dragon. It looks around a moment, seeing Okira sleeping on your chest and her siblings all sleeping around you as well. “Ooooh.”
“So you’re the reason my daughter doesn’t speak.” you say. Which only makes sense, you aren’t sure how difficult talking would be without your tongue, much less one that moved on its own. “Bow what do I call you?”

“I am 「Imagine Dragon」.” it says, oddly only speaking from the bottom of its two mouths and not both. “But that is all I know of myself. What am I?”
“You are a Stand, at least I think so.” you say, it nodding along and hanging off your every word. Which is still really bizarre. “But other than that, I have no real clue what your abilities are.”
“I see.” it says, then yawns. Well, it was nice meeting you. This has been a long talk, I’m going back to bed now.”
“Yeah, we’ll talk more tomorrow.” you reply, Imagine Dragon retreating back inside Okira’s mouth before you gently close it back. And as you lay there, feeling yourself slowly drift off to bed yourself, keep going over just how strange that was.

But before you know it the morning comes, you waking up to the usual pre-dawn calm with your family asleep around you. They all seem peacefully asleep, except for the three oldest who’re all still off world. You have a bit of time before needing to get up and get the day started.

Simply laying here with your family feels nice, but after a few seconds begin feeling that itch. The itch to get back out there, and back to your training. Especially since it’s been days since you seriously pushed yourself in the gravity chamber, and after watching your students yesterday feel you need to keep setting the right example. So carefully, gingerly you begin lifting everyone just off of you with your telekinesis, and slip out of the bed. Fortunately your escape seems to be unnoticed, everyone still sleeping soundly as you drift over towards the storage closet. Sliding the door open you grab a training suit, and without touching the ground begin drifting out of the room. While floating down the halls you change into the training suit, exiting the ship just as you get your last boot on and stepping down on the sand.

“Alright. Let’s go.” you mutter to yourself, lifting into the air and blasting off towards the city. It only takes you a moment, traveling clear across the city to your students’ designated training area. Dropping down from the air you again mark the reservations for your students’ time, then enter the smallest chamber alone. Walking up to the machine, suddenly you can’t remember what gravity you’d last trained on. Forty? Fifty? Unsure you just decide to crank it all the way to sixty times New Salda’s gravity, and dial it back if you need to. After a few seconds the enhanced gravity begins settling on you, but to your surprise isn’t nearly as heavy as you’d thought it would be. “Hrrmph. Huh, this isn’t too bad. In fact...”

As you say this, you crank the machine even higher, all the way up to 70x New Salda’s gravity. As the weight on your shoulders increases, straining your muscles just by moving you then get to work. Starting out with an easy 1000 push-ups, then 1000 pull-ups, and finally 1000 sit-ups, you quickly feel yourself working up a good sweat. But once the warm up’s over you really get to work, pushing yourself until your arms and legs are trembling. Yet that doesn’t stop you, in fact you see it as a sign to push even harder! If they have enough energy to tremble and shake, they aren’t pushing hard enough! But after at least an hour of working out you finally cut the machine off, muscles almost crying in relief as that weight leaves your body feeling lighter than a feather. Exiting the chamber you notice a feature of the chambers you hadn’t before, it catching your eye and arousing your curiosity. So you walk over, and activate it’s scouter. The machine beeps for several seconds, before displaying a number you weren’t quite expecting:

35,000,000
cont
>>
>>4726594
You let out a low whistle, surprised at the reading. Sure you hadn’t checked up on your own number in quite a bit, since you can sense the ki of others more accurately than these machines. But comparing it to the twenty-eight hundred you’d had years ago just blows your mind. You’ve come so far, pushing yourself mind and body past their limits time and time again to still be standing here despite what destiny would have handed you and your race. And you’re not done yet. You will get even stronger, strong enough to face down whatever threats will come your way and protect your family. You are the Champion of New Salda, hero to the Saiyan people, and you won’t stop improving until you’ve surpassed even Lord Freeza himself!

But that does bring up an important question. With no imminent wars or battles on the horizon, you have a choice to take in regards to your training. There are different paths open before you, however you cannot take them both. One you know of is the Primal path, gained by controlling and fully combining the powers of Oozaru and Super Saiyan. The legendary transformation of the Saiyan’s combined with pure primal fury, and aiming for the pinnacle of Saiyanhood: Apex Saiyan. On the flip side, you could fully embrace the unique nature of your Berserker transformations. Thanks to Mechikabura you learned of just how deep this power runs, what it takes to unleash it and how far it can take you. Berserker 3 seems to be only the beginning, the first step in mastering that truly legendary power, the strength to reject the gods and their order.

But you know these paths cannot both be traveled, warnings from both Future Chaya and Mechikabura telling you how long and arduous each path to power really is. Trying to do both, and have full access to both sets of abilities simply isn’t possible within a mortal lifespan. With your unique Berserker powers making the path of godhood unwalkable, becoming a Super Saiyan God and then that blue form later just isn’t possible for you. So you have a choice to make:

Which will you choose?
>Primal! You’re aiming for the pinnacle, for the absolute Apex of Saiyan power known!
>Berserker! You have a rare, legendary power, and you’re going to take that to it’s absolute peak!
Vote open until next thread

Just so that nobody gets angry about a 1 post ID voting, this vote is from me.
I was reading this at the gas station and voted on my cell data.
>>
Also remember, you can always ask me certain questions about how each path will work going forward. What I won’t answer are numbers questions. I won’t say which forms have the biggest numbers. Because we’re not playing munchkin, this is about who you are and what you stand for
>>
>>4726747
Which path will get us the fattest cock?
>>
>>4726747
Numbers are irrelevant for a variety of reason, but I'm going to assume in the context of the quest we're going to be just fine so long as we train regularly.
I'm more interested in the pros and cons between each form.
I know with Berserk forms they constantly generate excess energy, so they're extremely difficult to control while you're still mastering them.
That said, with that increased energy production I'm almost certain that our longevity in something like the Berserk God form will be godlike (no pun intended)
But how does the stamina drain of Berserker God compare to that of the Apex form?
I know Primal and Apex return their users to their physical prime regardless of their actual age, but wouldn't a transformation like that take excessive amounts of energy to maintain over long periods of time?
>>
>>4726818
Berserk, duh.
>>
>>4726605
>>Berserker! You have a rare, legendary power, and you’re going to take that to it’s absolute peak!
>>
>>4726818
Oozaru, obviously
>>4726823
The Berserker line is always harder to control than Primal, and taking too much damage can and will force you to fight for control instead of simply rampaging wildly. The Berserker line will also have more ki available to use than Primal, and never really worry about running low when firing off attacks, but you have longevity backwards. The Primal form is easier to maintain, with less actual stamina drain than even Mastered Super Saiyan. It just takes a bigger initial energy investment than any other previous form to transform, including Berserker 3. Inversely, Berserker’s constantly generating energy is much harder on your stamina and why mastering 3 first on this path is highly recommended.
>>
>>4726857
I see...makes sense I guess.
>mastering 3 first on this path is highly recommended
Legendary Super Saiyan 3 or Berserker 3?

Oh yeah, on the topic of the constant energy generation of the Berserk line, would it be possible to mitigate that by having a constant expenditure of ki?
Would something like having two Super Ki Blades active or just channeling our excess energy into the Wolf Knight Greatsword help?
>>
>>4726869
Legendary. It will make controlling Berserk easier, however once you’ve done the ritual to abandon the divine hierarchy, that’s the end of the Legendary line. From there on it’s Berserk 3, then onto making your own divinity without the gods.
>>4726875
That wouldn’t negate the strain of constant ki generation though. And if you’re worried about generating too much, well. Let’s just say at the peak there’s little worry of that.
>>
>>4726857
What kind of difficulties can we be looking at transitioning from from Normal Primal, if we get it, to Berserker Primal?
>>
>>4726605
>>Berserker! You have a rare, legendary power, and you’re going to take that to it’s absolute peak!
>>
>>4726883
>Legendary. It will make controlling Berserk easier
I'm picking up what you're putting down.
>From there on it’s Berserk 3, then onto making your own divinity without the gods
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand now I'm validated. Glad I picked the definitively correct choice.
>And if you’re worried about generating too much, well. Let’s just say at the peak there’s little worry of that.
Why is that?

QM UPDATE

Sometime this week I will, instead of an epilogue have a write up of each of the forms’ pros and cons, to better decide from your options.

>>4726894
The same as going from 3, to Berserker 3. Although at that point your choice will be Berserker Primal, or moving up to Apex.
>>4726911
The Berserker forms are, at LEAST, 500% angrier than the normal forms.
Because as you get higher and higher, so too does the ceiling. Already the difference between Berserker and it’s Ascended, well let’s put it in more game-y terms. Say Berserker’s cap on “Ki-Points”, or the maximum amount of ki one can hold is 1500. Ascended is DOUBLE that, so 3000. And Berserker 3, if it follows normal conventions would then have a whopping 12000. Now these transformations wouldn’t increase the Ki Points needed for, say, a Final Flash or Energy Javelin, but with certain attacks you could certainly pour MORE energy into it and get even more bang than normal. Which is a complicated way of saying all things equal, a Berserker will have stronger and more plentiful energy attacks than a Primal.
>>
Honestly ANGERY works well for Karn. The one thing he has in spades is sheer unquitting endurance. A form that gives him UNLIMITED POWAAAHHH in exchange for being tiring as fuck? It just works.

Rookie numbers.
Anything short of unreasonably fuck-ass mad at all times is a failure.
I want Whis to fucking panic when he sees just how pissed off we are at how badly the Gods run things.
>>
>>4726605
>berserker because fuck da police.
>>
>>4727132
Or on the flip side, a form that basically doesn’t tax you at all would allow you to fight at your form’s maximum potential for as long as you needed to. Or at least until the other guy just gives up, completely exhausted and unable to even lift his arms anymore.
>>4727160
You saw Whis’s potential reaction to Berserker3/Berserker God. That’s a lot of angrierer.
>>
>>4727030
>Which is a complicated way of saying all things equal, a Berserker will have stronger and more plentiful energy attacks than a Primal.
Does that carry over to the force?
What happens to the force while in apex?
>>
>>4727295
>would allow you to fight at your form’s maximum potential for as long as you needed to
I'd rather finish fights quickly and definitively.
You let a fight run on for too long, all manner of crazy bullshit can happen.
Look at the first Siege of New Salda or the Showdown with the Time Patrol.
This is only gonna compound itself as we keep getting stronger, mark my words.
The best way to prevent that from happening is by meeting our opponents in a position so dominant, all they can comprehend in their brief final moments is sheer fucking FORCE.
Not surprisingly, this is one of the few things even Trunks understands.
You finish fast and you finish strong, otherwise you're just giving the enemy more chances to turn the tables.
>>
>>4727370
this is an important question
how will our dark side powers react to primal vs berserk transformation trees
>>
>>4727396
I imagine berserk enhances the shit out of our powers since we're essentially a sith.
>>
>>4727382
I mean to be fair even if we want to finish fights quickly some fights will just drag on, whether we try to end them quickly or not, like the time patrol invasion brawl
>>
>>4727370
Neither directly affects it, as transformations have no actual effect on that ability.
>>4727382
Which is certainly true. However, being at 100% full power for ten minutes vs say half an hour is a big difference.
And what if your opponent matches, or even exceeds your strength?
>>4727396
Doesn’t actually affect your abilities. One mindset is easier to use it than the other, but neither actually affects your proficiency
>>4727573
Was still one of my favorite threads honesty. A shame we won’t have too many large-scale battles like it again :^)
>>
>>4727748
My favorite so far was the covenant invasion, and Karn fighting non stop to save his people.

Felt very cinematic.
>>
>>4727748
>And what if your opponent matches, or even exceeds your strength?
All the more reason to finish quickly then.
There's a reason I talk about punching above our weight class like every thread. Shit's only gonna get more and more important.
>>
>>4727748
Hey GD just to clarify since a bit of the thread discussing had me confused, this isn't the vote of whether to go beserker god or beserker primal, but purely just the vote of whether we stick to the beserker path or abandon it for the normal super saiyan route, right?
>>
>>4727911
This is for either working on Emerald Oozaru to get Primal, or working on 3 to get Berserker 3. This decides which path you’ll walk. If you take Primal, the choice later becomes Apex or Berserker Primal
>>
>>4727757
Was the longest battle I’ve ever written, for sure. Six threads.
>>4727875
You can only hit so far. Even Goku, with Plot Armor and TWO last resorts(Kaio-Ken x20 Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb) couldn’t defeat Freeza. Weight classes exist for a reason.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, are we gonna call it Berserker God specifically if we ever attain the form?
I know that's what it's called officially, but that feels more like Toei being Toei and just slapping "God" on the end because that was what every characters was doing in Dragonball at the time.
I, personally, would go for something like "Titan".
Still directly related to divinity, but in direct opposition to it.
Fits with the thematic connotations of manifesting our own spark of divine ki and using it to defy the gods themselves.
Also makes for a neat nod to a piece of imagery that fits Karn to a T.
>>
>>4728091
What you call it could be up to you, however both Berserker God and Berserker 3 are officially correct names. Like Super Saiyan 2, but Ascended Saiyan is still a cooler term.
>>
>>4728112
I think you mean "Supah sayah-jin" is the "correct" name. Gotta add those extra seven syllables to every word in yapanese.
>>
>>4728112
So what divine powers are open for us to learn with Berserk God? I know there’s Kai Kai and Hakai, but what else?
>>
>>4728164
Haki is a destroyer god specific ability, and kai kai may also be kai specific
>>
>>4728220
Didn’t Goku use a scuffed Hakai against Zamasu though? Also I’m pretty sure Vegeta is currently learning how to use it on the manga.
>>
>>4728230
That's bc goku and vegeta are destroyer god candidates
>>
>>4728281
Except they turned that down...
>>
>>4728144
I of course speak the english version, not engrish.
>>4728164
Kai Kai isn’t necessarily divine-limited, although good luck meeting the requirements
>Hakai
One needs to have actual divine ki at a minimum. Berserker isn’t divine in the same sense. The Super Saiyan God ritual is about uplifting a Super Saiyan to godhood for a just cause, whereas a Berserker is about defying the order of things. Instead of Ascending on the shoulders and sparks of others, a Berserker rejects divinity. That spark is ripped from the Saiyan and spread amongst his fellows, given up to reach a new path.
>>4728220
Generally only a Kai or their disciples can meet all the requirements needed to learn it. Although there may have been one half-Saiyan who did.
>>4728230
Yes, although the manga’s a bit different than the anime/movie(s) on whether divine ki and Destroyer ki are the same thing.
>>4728300
>they
Vegeta straight-up accepted though, to get to train under Whis
>>
Honestly, the BIG seller to me for berserker god is that we'd be able to finally sense god ki when we enter that form.
Without it, we'd be going in blind to a lot of fights, unable to judge where divine opponents are from their ki or judge just how strong they are.
The fact that it completely obscures our own ki from people without divine ki is even better.
And I'm willing to bet a tenner that divinity does different stuff with soulstones than mortal ki.
>>
>>4728308
>Vegeta straight-up accepted though,
Guess I misremembered. I thought it was just for delicious food.
>>
>>4728308
>not engrish.
Ohh too good forrarh mightiry swurred words eeehhhh?

Way back in ye olden days of highschool I knew a kid who was a turboweeb and did often speak in Engrish. He didn't deserve the shit he got from everyone. He also didn't need to talk like he had brain damage but these are the choices people make.
>>
>>4728328
I had a group of two or three weebs in my graphic design class that wore cosplay wigs every fucking day.
It goes without saying, but they got a lot of shit that they probably wouldn't have if they didn't look like complete rejects.
>>
>>4728308
Do we know anything about limit breaker's brand of divinity?
>>
>>4728317
Want to clarify a bit here, Berserker 3/God will still be sense-able to mortals as it isn’t a purely-divine state. It is made of both kinds of ki, simultaneously.
>spoiler
Can’t say
>>4728323
He tried that with Whis, but Bulma’d already showed the angel around. Whis didn’t want food from Vegeta, but something more meaningful
>>4728328
>didn’t deserve
If he wasn’t put in special education for that, your school was more understanding than mine
>>4728332
It runs on borrowed divine ki.
>>
>>4728308
>That spark is ripped from the Saiyan and spread amongst his fellows, given up to reach a new path.
Now this is interesting. If that divine spark is ripped out and given to the other SS's involved in the ritual...what does that do to them?

And if a Berserker God rips out their inborn divinity what happens if they become a Destroyer God?
>>
>>4728367
It becomes assimilated into them. Although, if any of them become Saiyan Gods, they will have a bit easier time with that path.
A Destroyer’s power is a mantle bestowed upon them, that power isn’t natural to the being. That power itself can’t be destroyed. If say Beerus was to somehow be erased, Whis would go inactive and that power would go to the one who names the Destroyer for the universe. And they would then(eventually) name another Destroyer, and give them that power. And Whis would be sent with them to guide and teach the new Destroyer.
>>
>>4728377
>Whis would go inactive and that power would go to the one who names the Destroyer for the universe.
Who is that? The Supreme Kai I imagine.
>>
Also I'm really torn here. The whole reject the gods become The Strongest Mortal and BTF out of them was a big reason I wanted Primal. Not to mention I love Karns savage and angry side which Primal only increases.

On the other hand, going by the info, Berserker while turning into our own god is explicitly breaking the Divine Hierarchy and the system set in place, and by the time we're ready to go for Berserker Primal, we'll have the option for Apex.

So thats gunna be another split path.

On the third hand, Berserker God mode actually murking Beerus, and become the new Destroyer is an Idea I really kinda want to explore if we 3.

On the fourth hand, afaik, Broly will pick whatever path we don't, and haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate the idea of Primal Broly, when he's spent his entire life mastering his anger and rage, and then turning around and embracing the power of his savage instinctual half.

Some people say character development. I say character assassination.

Fuck this is rough for me.
>>
>>4728783
>On the fourth hand, afaik, Broly will pick whatever path we don't
You do realize he's explicitly trying to be like Karn, right?
If he sees us do something, he'll more than likely try to follow in our footsteps.
Not to mention if he sees exactly how far he can take his unique gift, he'll probably be more motivated to do.
>when he's spent his entire life mastering his anger and rage
All the more reason to take that to its logical conclusion and finally end a lifelong struggle for his peace of mind.
>>
>>4728786
Nope. He's literally going to go down the path we don't, confirmed by gd
>>
>>4728801
>confirmed by gd
since when?
>>
>>4728803
A whiiiiiile back. He said whichever path between primal and God we don't pick, Broly would choose it.
>>
>>4728783
>when he's spent his entire life mastering his anger and rage, and then turning around and embracing the power of his savage instinctual half.

>not realizing that in order to truly master something you have to come to understand it and perhaps even embrace it
It actually makes perfect sense narratively that because he's trying to reach the absolute pinnacle of self-control he would willingly subject himself to his ultimately repressed feelings in order to come to terms with the fact that he is not a monster despite appearances and urges; and that he - not his instincts - are truly in control at the end of the day.

It also makes just as much sense that he would do the opposite and seek to utterly smother his baser instincts into non-existence even at the cost of maybe losing part of himself all so that he never loses control ever again.

tldr; that take is full of shit and both options are fine

There is a big difference between self-control and self-loathing. And I'll be damned if our boy grows up hating a part of himself. Don't let the idea of restraint convince you that he shouldn't learn to love himself.
>>
>>4728516
No, or at least not always. Because if the Supreme Kai dies so too does the Destroyer, but a new Kai and Destroyer can be named.
>>4728783
Primal is reject divinity, return to monke
Berserk is reject gods, and do it yourself
>Broly will pick whatever path we don't
He could. Or he could follow in your footsteps.
>>4728786
>>4728801
>>4728803
>>4728820
>>4728847
It is ultimately up to Broly, whether he wants to follow in the path you’ve gone down or forge his own unique path. You could encourage him to one way or another, but in the end he’ll have to make this same choice as you are now
>>
>>4728892
>No, or at least not always. Because if the Supreme Kai dies so too does the Destroyer, but a new Kai and Destroyer can be named.
Let me guess here. If Karn kills Beerus, Kars will take this chance to off, Shin since his only threat is gone. Then when Zeno or whoever needs to choose new gods, well the obvious choice is the former kias student and the one who killed the Destroyer right?
>>
>>4729220
A life link is a life link. If piccolo dies, kami dies. If kami dies, piccolo dies.
Probably the same deal for Shin and Beerus. Kars wouldn't have to kill Shin if something somehow killed Beerus.
>>
>>4729220
>If
You’d have to be able to kill him even with Whis’s interference for that to happen.
>>4729226
Not quite. Remember, Beerus didn’t die because succession was already determined with the cardinal Kais
>>
QM UPDATE

So, I’ve decided on something different. I said before there wouldn’t be an epilogue, and instead write ups about the pros and cons of both paths. But that’s boring. So instead we’ll have a battle of the two different Karns colliding, showing off their different strengths in a much more apt setting. So stay tuned for that, epilogue hopefully dropping this Thursday night!

QM UPDATE

Everyone thank Gutsbro for his hard work, thanks to him this episode epilogue is coming out a day early! Karn vs Karn is about to go down!!

>>4731580
Rewatching that scene, and I just realized that Hercule is actually 19 times STRONGER than Sourman.... I don’t know what to do with this information
>>
>>4731656
Hercule in brute strength is a fucking monster compared to the Z fighters, if he ever had Ki he'd be a force of nature.
>>
>>4731656
Hercule is probably the strongest non-ki using human on the planet. He did win the World Martial Arts tournament after all.
>>
>>4731656
He's extremely gifted in so far as normal humans go.
He's just complacent and never really kept up with his training once he got super famous.
The fact that Videl picked up basic Ki manipulation right away proves that he's got pretty decent genetics if nothing else.
>>
>>4731667
Not really. Goku was clearly stronger than Hercule after his training with Roshi and how he could handle normal human martial artists. But imagine if Hercule’d learned the Turtle way? Three busses would be nothing
>>4731671
Granted he probably never fought the likes of Giren or King Chappa.
>>4731678
He could take down any current fighter in our world with the WMAT rules, that’s for sure. I mean, look at how hard Cell hit him and he could still get up unassisted and walk it off. A blow to the head powerful enough to send a man his size dozens to a hundred or so feet away would kill a normal human.
>>
>>4731715
>Granted he probably never fought the likes of Giren or King Chappa.
He did fight Tao once, though that resulted in his master dying and Hercule very nearly dying.
It also kinda made him a little bitch for the rest of his life.
>I mean, look at how hard Cell hit him and he could still get up unassisted and walk it off.
I don't think attacks made for comedic effect are really indicative of either party's strength.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 153 Epilogue-

AGE ???, WORLD OF VOID

“Huh?” you say in sync with the other you. You are Karn, Saiyan Berserker and survivor of the God of Destruction Beerus’ wrath. In the years of peace following the Covenant’s fall and Lord Freeza’s rise to Emperor of the Universe, you had then spent most of your days training. After choosing to emphasize your Berserker forms over Primal, and focus your training on emphasizing that form’s advantages to their utmost with Towa’s help, you had been preparing for the Tournament of Power. A cruel game devised by the god above all Zeno to decide which universes continue existing. However, after you had finished lunch and were preparing to get back to your training, the Grand Priest had appeared and whisked you away to this place; an arena of some sort, floating in an endless, empty void.

“Greetings Karn, and Karn.” the Grand Priest says, descending between you on a small hovering platform. “The great Zenos wish to see a demonstration of your power, in anticipation of the coming Tournament of Power in their respective timelines. So I have summoned you both here, from seperate timelines to test your might.”
“A show, huh?” the other you asks, then turns to you. “Against myself? How will Zeno be able to tell us apart?”
“That is quite simple.” he answers, smiling with a hint of maliciousness. “You are both different. Each of you has walked seperate paths, refining your transformations into completely different forms. So your differences shall become quite clear.”

“Heh. Always wondered which choice was the right one.” you say, turning back to your copy. “So you chose to go Primal?”
“Then you embraced Berserker then.” he replies, rolling his right shoulder. “I always wondered which form was ultimately the strongest. I’m game if you are.”
“Let’s do this.” you reply, the two of you leaping back from each other and taking the exact same fighting stance. “You want to go first? Or should I?”
“I’ll go. If you transform first, mine’ll look less dramatic.” he says, clenching his fists and crossing his arms before him. “HAAAAAAAA! GRRRRRYAAAAAAAA!!”

Roaring he throws his arms wide, armor shattering as his upper body swiftly becomes covered in reddish fur. Your copy’s hair grows as well, not going golden or growing to Super Saiyan 3’s levels, but still noticeably down his neck and back slightly. Sighing out he returns to your shared stance, and his face seems different as well. You notice the lines in his face from age seem to be gone, and his body is almost radiating with more youthful energy. No favoring any old injuries or bodily wear and tear, almost like he’s aged backwards to being only in his twenties again.

“Your move.”
>>
>>4731754
“Oooooooooh! That was a cool transformation!” one Zeno says in his childlike voice.
“Yeah, he looks really scary!” the other Zeno replies. “But wait until you see what my Karn can do! His transformation is even scarier!”

“HRRRRRYAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, letting your body and hair both slowly begin expanding as you take on your much larger and muscular Berserker 3 form. After achieving this form thanks to the failed Super Saiyan God ritual, you had spent years making this power your own. It wasn’t easy, but after a lot of hard work you got this incredible anger under control, and made the power fully yours. You feel the uncomfortable sensation of your hair turning into a massive emerald mane, sparks dancing wildly about as your green aura blazes. After several seconds your transformation concludes, you making a bit of a show of it for the attending Zenos. After all, you’re here to put on a show. “So, what do you think?”

“Woah, he is scary! Scary and big!” the other timeline’s Zeno says from their shared perch above you all. “He looks really strong.”
“Hey, which one’s stronger?” your Zeno asks the Grand Priest, a call picked up by the other.
“Yeah, which is stronger?” he asks, then together they call. “Which one, which one?”
“That’s why we’re here, sires.” the Grand Priest says. “To see which of the Saiyan transformations is truly the strongest. Now, gentlemen. Are you both ready?”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=OmH_wUt2o6g

“Ready.” you reply, retaking your fighting stance simultaneously to your Primal copy as the Grand Priest raises his right arm up over his head. “Don’t hold back.”
“I was going to say the same thing.” he replies, the two of you now seeming far more different than a few moments ago.

“And...BEGIN!” he shouts, dropping his hand. And the most intense battle of your lives begins.
“HAAAAAA!!” you roar, throwing your right hand forward and unleashing a massive wave of green ki. While the two of you had been standing there waiting for the go-ahead, your transformed body had been generating more and more ki. So the instant the battle starts you’s unleashed it. However your Primal variant seems to have expected this, dashing diagonally away from your attack. You see him run to your left and end your beam, followed immediately by a left-backhanded Scattershot. He sees this coming and slides to a stop, activating his Barrier and dashing into the barrage of smaller blasts. Seeing him approach you do the same, launching yourself forward with a “GRRRAAAAAA!!”

“HRRRYAAAAAA!!” your Primal counterpart shouts as well, both your right fists colliding. The impact of your powers is tremendous, shockwaves buffeting you both. However, thanks to your much larger and heavier frame, you remain where you were while your Primal counterpart is knocked back away from you.
>>
>>4731757
“Hmph. This larger form does have it’s advantages.” you say, closing in as he’s recovering and throwing a straight left. He recovers before your blow lands, and instead of clashing power against power takes the Su Ma way out. His body twists counterclockwise around your fist, spinning all the way around before you can recover and slamming his right fist into your left temple. “Guh!”
“But your moves are too slow!” the other you taunts, as his hit barely staggers you. Sure he hits hard, but this buffed-up body makes hits that would’ve sent you flying in other forms barely knock you back. So after his hit to your head you spin counterclockwise, backhanding him with your left forearm and sending the smaller you flying. “Gyaaa!”

“I may not be as nimble as you are, but you’re gonna have to hit me harder than that!” you shout, gathering ki in both palms before slamming them together and unleashing that power with a shout of “Final Flash!!”
“Dammit! Barrier!” your Primal counterpart shouts, shield springing up around him just before your attack hits. The Final Flash washes over your other timeline self, blasting him back towards the edge of the arena. You wonder for a moment what happens if he goes off, but before you can find out he dashes up and out of your attack. And as you end your beam he creates an absolutely massive ball of ki overhead, readying to drop it down on you. “Take this! Event Horizon!!”

“That’s a mistake.” you mutter, gathering more and more ki into a ball in your right palm. With your extensive training with King Vegeta, Bardock, and Karn Jr’s Primal and even the mighty Apex form, you know the single-biggest advantage your transformation has over theirs. With the Berserker’s special transformations, you realized that your body generates an excessive amount of ki. In fact, the stronger the form you’re in the more your body generates. So you have to regularly expel it, else it simply builds up pressure inside your body until exploding out. Violently. But in situations like this, the constant ki generation’s surplus comes in real handy. So you throw your right hand forward with a mighty roar and unleash your pent-up ki. “HRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Your emerald energy bursts forth in a wave, firing up and striking against your Primal’s Event Horizon. At first his attack is barely slowed, but as you keep pouring out energy the both of you can feel his attack quickly slowing down.

“N-No way.” you barely hear your counterpart exclaim over the clash of energies.
“HAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, pushing even more energy into your beam and forcing his attack to not only fully stop midair, but begin pushing the attack back up towards your other you!
>>
>>4731762
Of course you sense the other Karn quickly abandon pushing against your strength, letting you push the attack higher and higher without resistance as he instead blitzes around it down towards you. And as loathe as your are to admit it, he’s probably faster than you. In fact his Primal form simply seems all around faster: faster flight, faster movements, and even his attack seems just a little faster. Not unconquerably so, but there is a clear difference in your speeds. And he uses that to dash down and slam his right fist into your left forearm. This time he’s ready, bracing himself against the shockwave to avoid being blown back before dodging your retaliatory right with an outside Su Ma spin, then a front flip over your right elbow.

“HAAAA!!” he shouts as another heavy blow crashes against the same side of your head, either by a foot or fist you don’t know. But his blow staggers you to the right this time, long enough for a follow up attack to hit your left ribs hard before you’ve recovered.
“Guh!” you wheeze, wincing as your ribs creak from the heavy blow. But immediately after you spin, counterclockwise into a powerful right kick, but the smaller you backflips onto his hands then springs back to his feet even further away. “Tch.”
“Woah! The smaller one is really fast!” one Zeno says excitedly.
“Yeah, super duper fast!” the other says immediately after.
“Heh. You’re gonna need more than that to hurt me.” you say, retaking your fighting stance. “I barely felt that.”

“Oh yeah? Then feel this!” Primal Karn roars, golden aura surging as he charges. However you stand your ground, emerald aura condensing around you as you activate the Energy Body technique. Not the immovable variant, as you need to be able to move. But with your constantly surging energy you can actually increase your current reserves while using this technique. Combined with your additional defenses thanks to this form, it’s the perfect compliment. You see the confusion and doubt in his eyes as he approaches, and at the last moment abandons the head-on charge. Instead spinning counterclockwise to your right and delivering a full-force left kick to the right side of your head. “HAAAAAA!!”
“Is that all?” you taunt, grabbing almost his entire shin in your left hand as he tries backing up. “RRRRAAAAA!!”

With Primal Karn secure in your grip you spin him overhead once, twice, three times before slamming him face-first into the arena floor. Whatever it’s made of shatters, your counterpart shouting in surprised pain. Before he can recover you twist, slamming him into the ground in several different places before tossing him. But you don’t send him away empty handed, gathering your emerald ki into your right hand.
>>
>>4731767
“HAAAAA!!” you roar, lobbing the rapidly-expanding ball towards him. And before Primal Karn recovers your attack hits him in the chest, detonating in a tremendous explosion.
“WOOOOOOAAAAAAAH!!” both Zenos exclaim excitedly, your counterpart having disappeared inside the cloud of smoke. “So cool!!”
“Well, that was quite the display.” the Grand Priest says, his platform descending down towards the arena a bit as he talks. “Then I believe we shall call this match-“

“I ain’t done.” Primal Karn calls from inside the smoke, and suddenly it’s blown away. You see him standing there, fists clenched as his aura flares up higher and higher around him. “Don’t you even think about stopping this now.”
“That was just the warm up.” you reply to the Grand Priest, who looks between you both before retreating back closer to the Zenos. “I haven’t even taken my final form yet.”
“You too?” he asks, you recognizing that look in his eyes. Because you feel it too, you want to see just how far this battle can go. “Alright then, enough messing around. I’ll show you the Apex of my power! HRRRYAAAAAAAA!!!”

And as Primal Karn roars, ki surging wildly as his strength climbs, you watch as he actually begins doing it. His hair begins changing from black to the familiar crimson, stars twinkling in his aura as his powerlevel increases dramatically. His golden aura tints the sky, the void around you all changing colors as it reflects his new power. And there he is, standing at the Apex of Saiyan power.

“Well, what do you think?” he asks you. “I managed to catch up to our daughter.”
“You did reach her level.” you say, unclenching your fists as you stand up out of your stance. “But now I’ll show you a power like nothing you’ve ever seen.”

Relaxing your body and closing your eyes, you turn your focus inward. Specifically, on the raging inferno inside that is your Berserker’s wrath. While you’ve mastered to control it, and keep it restrained, that isn’t the same as calming it. Which you do now, focusing on that hurricane of fury and calming it. Your breathing slows as the fury dies down, the wild storm quickly pacified until you’ve turned it completely tranquil. Mastering your wrath completely you open your eyes, seeing the familiar, tranquil greenish blue of your true form’s aura all around you. Through your own aura you see Apex Karn looking on curiously, clearly he’s never seen a form like this before. Now it’s time to see which path truly was the most powerful: embracing your primal roots or truly mastering your anger and ascending beyond it? This will be the greatest battle of your lifetimes!

“I’m ready.” you say, arms still relaxed down by your sides. “Let’s do this.”
>>
>>4731773
https://youtube.com/watch?v=lHVqoiG0CUU

“I won’t be holding back this time!” Apex Karn shouts, retaking his stance. Then seemingly at the same time you both move, dashing headlong and throwing your right fists into each others’. The titanic impact’s shockwaves obliterate the arena beneath you both, Apex Karn smirking at you. You return the gesture as he twists up into a turning right kick for your head, you blocking it with your left forearm then punching with your right for his head. He blocks by crossing his forearms, then the real battle commences. “HAAAAA!!”

After a brief clash of hundreds of blows in a second, Apex Karn lands the first clean hit with a straight right jab to your jaw followed by a right hook. However he’d left his middle exposed, your right knee finding his guts as his left hits you. Your blow packs a little more force than his due to the mass, knocking Apex Karn back from you before your left fist crashes square into his face. This heavy blow knocks him flipping backwards, but his left foot then surprises you by kicking you square in the jaw as he flips backwards.

“Guah!” you exhale, the blow rocking your head back and forcing you to take a half-step back with your right foot to recover your balance. And by the time you do Apex Karn has not only reoriented, but flipped around and launched a flying left kick at your head. Yet he was too slow, and by leaning back and twisting your upper body clockwise narrowly dodge the kick. You see his eyes widen in surprise, then wince as your right fist’s uppercut connects to his ribs. “Gotcha!”

But just as your blow lands, his left knee crashes hard against your right temple. The staggering impact of the dual heavy strikes knocks the both of you away from each other, you staggering back several steps as he flips a couple times and landing on his feet, the two of you facing each other and breathing a bit heavier.

“Not bad.” you hear him say, Apex Karn turning his head and spitting up a bit of blood before returning to his stance.
“Not bad yourself.” you reply, your head ringing as you do the same. His repeated heavy blows to the head are starting to get to you, and for a second he goes out of focus. He clearly knows body blows are basically useless against these bulky forms, so is going for the knockout with each strike. And sure enough, if he lands too many more devastating head blows like that you’re gonna be in serious trouble. But judging from the small trickle of blood still coming out of his mouth, your strikes are causing some damage as well. This battle’s going to come down to endurance. He seemingly has the same thoughts as you, the two of you activating your Energy Body techniques simultaneously. “But I won’t lose to anyone, not even myself.”

“You’re tough, but I’m not going down.” your Apex counterpart replies. “I don’t know about you, but I can keep this up all day. Let’s see who’s body gives out first!”
“Bring it on!” you reply, teal aura calmly rising up around you. Then as naturally as breathing you move, surging forward towards your compatriot. He violently blasts off the ground towards you as well, and once more the two of you clash in a titanic blast.

MEANWHILE, ELSEWHEN...

“Excellent. Show me your determination, Karn.” Fu says, hands folded as he watches the battle at different angles showing on several different screens. “Primal or Berserker, which path to power is truly the greatest? Show me, Karn! Show me which pathway is truly the greatest!”

And from behind Fu, barely illuminated by the monitors’ lights, another figure is just barely visible. A squat, pudgy being who is also watching the battle unfold with great interest. As Karn battles Karn, both Saiyans pushing each other to their limits, he watches unblinkingly. And sees that, one day, the friend he’d lost may yet return.

That did answer many questions.
Except for one:
Does either form have an edge over the other when it comes to energy control, or is that independent of forms with neither form having more difficulty/ease controlling their energy than the other?

As always indeed.
And good question. Who knows, besides himself?

These are the two opposing paths you can now take. One day you can choose to abandon maximizing of either and trying to go the middle route of a little of both. However, no choice you make is without cost. Whether you see the price or not.
>>4731877
The Vegeta boots get me
>>4731886
Short answer no. Long answer:
Remember, I did say this was only to show off the differences between the paths, with each Karn trained to maximize their form’s advantages. Other than that, both of them were virtually the same in all other aspects. Berserker Karn just came into this battle with more foreknowledge of his opponent’s forms due to the other Saiyans in his time who choose Primal. Which is why I wrote it from that perspective and not the other one’s.
>>
>>4731778
So Apex takes more damage in a trade but can last more thanks to endurance and speed. But Berserker can counter that speed with Ki spam. But Apex can tank it with Barrier. But that might take away some endurance? I dunno, Apex might be the better one of the two. Berserker bros, we got too cocky...
>>
>>4731915
I think Berserker is better off when it comes to barriers and clashes. We see that the constant growth of energy allows him to break through attacks that require a lot of investment from his counterpart, and other than an investment of concentration berserker doesn't seem to lose much when using defensive ki techniques.
Although, on a different note (and something we didn't see either side do, im just going off wiki info right now), Primal/4 can apparently absorb energy without fatigue while God can absorb energy but at the cost of fatigue. Not sure if Berserker God has that same limitation, but I would assume so.
>>
>>4726605
>>Berserker! You have a rare, legendary power, and you’re going to take that to it’s absolute peak!
Aaaaaaaah fuck it. Might as well. Lets see how it goes and hope I don't regret it later.
>>
>>4731915
Apex takes a lot more damage per hit in that battle simply because Berserker’s final form is just a much beefier, tankier form than Apex. Whereas Primal’s just a straight upgrade over the regular Super Saiyan(1 2 &3) forms. Once you have Primal, there is no reason to use any lesser Super Saiyan form down that path in any serious fight.
>>4731970
Berserker 3 and up using trained Energy Body is basically giving him Xenoverse1-tier bullshit Super Armor. You have to really be hitting hard to even make him flinch at that point, much less knocked back. And yes, with the constant energy generation Energy Body can become basically energy-neutral for a Berserker who wants to focus on being unbreakable in melee combat. But this was a fight for fun, against himself, so either Karn didn’t immediately go for the cheese like a sweaty online gamer. Both weren’t using their more lethal attacks like javelins, Death Beam/Slash, Eye Beams, Ki Blades, etc.

Iirc Wrathful is a completely different type of rage, since it comes from the Oozaru form. So, Primal route would probably help more with containing Wrathful.
>>
>>4732963
>>4732605
That was a “in the bathroom at work” answer.
>>4732119
Neither affects that form, as it has virtually nothing to do with the user but instead is reliant on the one who gifts it.
>>4733032
Neither actually directly helps with Wrathful. The best way to control it is controlling a normal, non-Super Saiyan powered Oozaru. However it is completely incompatible with Primal, as it is essentially a False Super Saiyan-type form

>Berserker! You have a rare, legendary power, and you’re going to take that to it’s absolute peak!

Based on that newest Epilogue, it seems to me that Calmed Berserker isn't quite at the Peak of it's line, while Apex is, well... The Apex, and has no further improvements aside from trying to go down the Other Path later, which would require something like the Dragon Balls to give Agelessness, or whatever, because it'd take too long otherwise.

But it is the culmination of that form’s struggle. Finding and completely quelling your own inner rage along with the transformation’s own, is what leads to this truly enlightened form. Whis would be very afraid of seeing a wholly-mortal form nearly on par with a certain kind of Instinct.

I left it open all week so everyone could vote regardless of timezone, and to truly gauge ALL of my readers’ thoughts on which path to take
>>4733553
What I’m saying is that once the anger is truly pacified, and a Berserker attains that form, they have achieved something far beyond anything before it. Much as Apex is as the name implies, and credit to anons for coming up with it, this is the final, true form of that power.
...And I just realized you’re Vegeta-ing to my Belmond. Dammit.

>>
>>4733501
This brings up more than a few questions.
Namely, how does mastery of Berserker God factor into mastery of Ultra Instinct, and vice-versa.
If they're both predicated on reaching a state of "enlightenment" or being able to act without being driven by out of control emotion, it would make sense if the two forms synergized with each other.
>>
I still want berserker apex regardless of how pissed off the SKoT gets from it.

>>4735232

>What isn’t?
The art. Art is worth what OTHERS value it at. I can duct tape a banana to a wall and claim it’s worth $10k, but if no one buys it then it isn’t worth that. And that’s also why I’m asking to commission, instead of asking you to do it for free. It’s my way of showing appreciation for what you do. Which is why I’m still in the process of setting something up.

>The art. Art is worth what OTHERS value it at.
That's how everything is valued though, art in itself isn't special in that regard.

Here's my prediction on how Elder Kai will get freed if he ever does:
>Karn initiates the New Gods Plan.
>IT's to the planet of the Supreme Kai and begins to terrorize Shin while telling him exactly why he's doing this, feeding on his fear as he does so.
>Shin tells Kars to see if he's capable of pulling out the Z-Sword, mistakenly believing it's the only thing they'd have available that could stop Karn.
>Karn just directs a powerful as FUCK energy blast, possibly a javelin, towards the sword.
>He shatters the thing to pieces, freeing Elder Kai or possibly killing him if it's a big enough attack.
>Proceeds to choke Shin to death, so his position can be filled by an infinitely more competent Supreme Kai.
>>
>>4735294
See that plan fall aparts on Step 2, when you terrorize Shin and draw it out, because that means Whis has now Teleported Beerus onto the Planet of the Kais and Beerus is in Full Serious Destroyer No Bullshit Lazy Cat Man Mode because your directly and deliberatly threatening his life line.

So yeah. Stupid Plan. If your gunna gut Shin do it in an instant before Whis is aware.
>>
>>4735273
Btw GD question. Since Berserkers won the vote *even if you haven't called it its got like what a 10 vote lead?* question on the training effecincy.

We want to Master Legendary 3 before we do the Ritual to unlock Berserker 3 but I'm curious about previous form mastery and if its worth the time investment.

Re-Mastering Legendary 1 and 2 would help us Master Legendary 3.

Mastering Berserker 1 and 2 would help us Master Berserker 3.

Is going Full Mastery for every form worth it? Because we have to Master every form, which is a matter of time then anything else, and time is our most precious resource rn with the Beerus Clock starting the big countdown.

So I'm not sure when Mastery of the previous forms, to reduce the time to master the next forms, balances out or wastes us time, and was wondering if you could share your thoughts on that.
>>
>>4735297
nah, whis and beerus didn't do shit before with buu, and Kars is qualified enough to be a replacement for shin.
you vastly overestimate whis and beerus's ability to give a shit
>>
>>4735322
The situation has changed. Before Beerus wasn't written into canon, so Toriyama had to make a hack excuse as to why Beerus didn't solve most of the threats before hand, and just threw up 'he's too lazy' even though he dies if all the Kais go.

Not to mention, Whis is actively spying on Karn now, to make sure that Beerus doesn't end up dying to him.

If Karn moves on Shin, and espessially if Karn moves on him while talking all this shit about how Gods are useless and its time for some changes, then Whis is gunna port Beerus in, and then we'll probably die. And even if we kill Beerus, Whis can just rewind time and justify his interference as a 'lesson on beerus for underestimating his opponents' which GD himself has said is a way Whis can intervene if Beerus was a dumb ass and blew up New Salda.
>>
>>4735322
>you vastly overestimate whis and beerus's ability to give a shit
I think you’re vastly overestimating Karns ability to finesse Whis and Beerus, especially in this quest where almost all the original cast are more coherent than their canon counterparts.

Its clear the endurance thing is the Berserkers schitck, not Apex, Apex seems more about keeping peak capacity, which makes endurance one of Karn's more difficult to judge aspects. As Berserker actually keeps him going and gives him a body to hold onto it.

Not really

But damn that was a good fucking time to use.

If you don’t want it I can’t make you draw pictures for my money. But the offer still stands
>>4735294
As >>4735297 says, Beerus going into survival mode means you don’t unless you’re ready for that fight. And you haven’t even seen the least of what he can do.
>>4735321
That would be telling. However, that will be something you have to decide with only the information you’ve gained from previous experience in the quest and what I’ve told you. Mastering previous forms makes new forms easier to access and control, but isn’t entirely necessary. And mastering the non-Berserker option(in this case 3) will do the same. However, that’ll be your first choice in the coming thread. How will you proceed with your choice?
And the clock is ticking on many things, most of which you all are barely if at all aware.

This, Beerus didn’t exist yet. So retcons had to be made. The real question in that encounter is the extent of Whis’s abilities. How often he can use his time control is one, and how much he is permitted to act to save the Destroyer from death.
>>4735402
>>4735414
Primal is all about form longevity and ease of maintaining, going into high level combat with your body and mind not being taxed. Apex is about absolute peak performance.
Berserker is about tanking damage to deal better damage, and unleashing more energy than your opponent. Whereas what lies beyond is about, well I can’t say too much yet for spoiler reasons. Since I’m about an hour from calling the vote.

Good times. Wonder how he’ll react to Karn visiting Towa’s place...?

>Good times. Wonder how he’ll react to Karn visiting Towa’s place...?
>Okay you mute dumbass, that Pink Midget isn't control anymore, and you rehearsed this every day after Mrs. Towa left you and Chaya to...alone time, holds her sleeping hand
>You can do this.....
-Day of Arrival
>Karn and family come through, Karn taking his time checking on his little demons and Dadding it up
>Pointedly not looking at Ace but throwing a alight aura of murderous intent his way.
>Eventually get through all the kids and Towa comforting before dragging Ace to the training room.
>As he goes in Meloka makes sure its audio is blocked and drags Chaya away while we talk.
>"Okay you little shit, I don't like you in the fucking slightest, and if you hurt my baby girl so help you no god or demon in existence will pull my foot out your ass."
>"Now speaking of your ass, Towa told me you and Chaya have been alone. So prepare yourself..."
>"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY!"
>'I'm not ready, holy shit I'm not prepared for this AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH'

Hm. Looking back on your previous posts and how going God kills off the Legendary Forms.

I'd say focus on just Mastering Legendary 3 and ignore the previous 2 forms. Legendary 3 is a must for training us to handle the stress of Berserker 3 but otherwise theres no huge draw to it.

So I'd say focus on Mastering Legendary 3, Berserker 1, and Berserker 2. That way when we move Berserker 3 we have the greatest possible control and its the most balanced risk/reward when it comes to time allocation.
>>
>>4735462
This sounds like a solid plan. Getting a grip on Legendary 3 is going to be tough, but hopefully Meloka's experience with SS3 can help us there even if they aren't exactly the same (holy shit I forgot the multiplier for Legendary 3 was so much higher than SS3, but I guess it follows the same pattern).
What's our current status on Berserker 1, though? I thought we had pretty solid control of that.
>>
>>4735486
We're knocking on the door of Mastery of Berserker 1 right now. We're at like 90% or something iirc? Berserker is high but probably around like 70 or 80%? We'd have to ask.

Whats our Berserker Forms Mastery at GD?

Well I'm fucking retarded, there's always one. My fault for waiting so long to see all the arguments but it seems my preferred option won anyways.

I had unusually busy week, but I finally read all that happened since last weekend. It was so awesome, the thread, the discussion, all so very good.
And the moment to decide Karn's destiny and future had finally arrived.
>>4731778
The Epilogue was 10/10. Both very entertaining and informative. For a long time I was hoping to see battle between Karn's who walked different life paths in their own timelines. This was like unexpected present, honestly I was not ready for all the good stuff in this thread.
The discussion and epilogue answered nearly all questions I wanted to ask.
Except for this one:
>>4728164
>So what divine powers are open for us to learn with Berserk God? I know there’s Kai Kai and Hakai, but what else?
There is also "God bind" gif related (https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/God_Bind).
I would also assume that everything that Zamasu, Goku Black and Fused Zamasu did was example of what you can do with God Ki. Is that correct GD?
>>4731656
>Everyone thank Gutsbro for his hard work
Thank you Gutsbro, those pictures are awesome.
>>4734613
Hey anon I just wanted to say that I like your black and white picture of Karn you made long time ago. Maybe you should give GD a chance and do some commissions. Maybe at least once? Just to try.
>>4736058
I'm late too. The vote is already decided but the outcome is the one I was hoping for a long time. Path to Berserker God, the more information was revealed about it the more I liked it.
