/qst/ - Quests

It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized actoss the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 34 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Karn had decided his future, and chosen which way to take his Berserker training, he came face-to-face with one of the crab folk who’d survived battling the Mindslayers years ago thanks to developing an anti-psychic ability that even affects telepathy. After speaking with him Karn then witnessed a would-be Lin Kuei assassin trying to escape with something of Silver’s which turned out to be a powerful magical amulet. But after defeating her, another mage appeared creating an army of dreadful machines. Karn battled this mage alongside Raven, but before he could land a lethal blow was transported into a distant warzone, battling a giant dragon and it’s undead blue mineral-armored zombies. And now as we rejoin Karn, these people’s hope Gideon has failed, the Blackblade broken, and now Karn and his Stand Divine Dragon Force have unleashed their power against the Elder Dragon Nicol Bolas.

“GRRROOOAAAAAAR!!” Divine Dragon Force bellows, you and your Stand both striking the giant dragon’s head together. Nicol Bolas roars, and as the two dragons’ divine power clashes, everything begins being consumed by a rapidly expanding white light. Both dragons roar, and everything vanishes.
“What the hell?” you mutter, looking around confused. But there’s nothing. Everything’s gone, you are now alone in an endless, pure white void. The brightness actually hurts your eyes a bit, and despite squinting against that can’t seem to see anything. That is, until you feel a tremendous pressure exuding from behind you. You turn, and are surprised at the sight of yet ANOTHER new dragon. This one is a dragon of great stature, with feathered wings and scales of coruscating blue. But as this beast gazes down upon you, you get the feeling it isn’t like the other one, yet it is at the same time. Almost like they’re the same creature, but opposites.

“Well now, what have we here?” the giant dragon says, voice calm yet curious. “This place is not for you, little ones.”

And as this creature talks, the world around you begins taking shape. Mountains appear behind the dragon and a calm lake forms beneath you, the ancient-seeming creature at complete ease as this strange dimension forms around you.

“Yet I find I must thank you for your help.” the giant dragon continues. “For without your help, I fear this day could have been lost. And my brother would have attained power rivaling that of the old ones. Not only did you stop this, but you allowed me to capture him unseen as well.”

>>4781863
“How? How were you still alive?” a much tinier, scaleless version of Nicol Bolas asks, crumpled and bleeding into the lake as he somehow lays upon it. That’s when you notice the floating gem that was between his horns is also gone. “I killed you, almost fourteen hundred years ago.”
“You did. But, much like yourself, I got over it.” the shimmering dragon says, sounding more sad than anything. “And then I watched you, observing your every mistake and meticulously preparing for this day. The Meditation Realm is mine, and I will be sealing it off from every other realm. Once I’ve stripped you of your names. Never again shall you see freedom, and here in my world you shall stay. Trapped: alone, forgotten and powerless, until the day when you finally die.”

“No, you can’t do this to me! I am a god!” Bolas shouts, flailing angrily at his impotence. But now that he’s been reduced to such a state, you feel almost bad for the lizard. Almost. “I am a goooooooood!”
“Now, as thanks for your help, I shall return you to your own realm.” the majestic dragon says. “Are you ready?”
“Hold on a minute. What exactly happened?” you ask, more confused how you got here than anything. “Where are we? What happened, and how am I here too?”
“When you and your Fateslayer struck my brother, you turned his own energy against himself. Resulting in the rapid destruction of his physical form. However, before his essence could escape, I arrived. And grabbing both you and he, I left that realm. Flying through the Blind Eternities, to bring the pair of you here. Although, despite not being a Walker yourself, your body handled the journey far better than most.”

“Wait, if you showed up to grab us, then surely the others’ saw?” you ask him. “Won’t they be after him, to take their own vengeance regardless of your plan?”
“No, as I had that young mage, Beleren, create an illusion of you destroying him and vanishing as well in that flash of light. So they, hopefully, won’t bother trying to pull you into their affairs again.”
“Well, that’s a relief at least.” you say, taking a deep breath in preparation for what’s to come. “Alright, I’m ready. Send me back home.”
“Farewell, Karn and Fateslayer.” the dragon says, and in another flash you’re gone. Blinking to help your eyes adjust, you find yourself back home. King Cold is here now, firing a beam over his shoulder through the green mage’s guts. He falls, into a crimson portal, but as he does a giant crimson-scaled dragon appears!

“GRRRROOOOAAAAAAAARR!!” bellows the red dragon, breathing a column of fire into the air. Which, to your surprise feel Divine Dragon Force pulling itself skyward as high as it can go, and replies
“GRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” your Stand roars, Caulifla whirling around to see you standing there. You see tears in her eyes, and her armor absolutely riddled with holes. What the hell happened while you were gone?
“D-Daddy!” she shouts, Raven and King Cold both turning to you surprised as you walk forward, placing your hand on your daughter’s head.
“Hey kiddo, sorry that took so long.” you say, ruffling her hair a bit. “Now, how about we finish this up?”
“Yeah!!” she shouts, excitedly.
“KIIIIIIII!!” Triumph caws, mirroring the other dragon and firing it’s own blast of fire skyward.

“How nice of you to join us, General Karn.” King Cold says, and for an instant think you see a small smile of relief. Which is immediately replaced by his usual, almost disinterested smirk. “And by all means, have at it. I’ve heard dragons are quite...territorial.”

But what do you do? How do you handle this dragon?

“I’ll end this quick.” you say, focusing your emerald ki into both hands and shaping your Super Ki Blade. The razor-sharp sword of ki is the same size as your Wolf Knight sword, holding it down by your right in a ready stance.
“GRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” the dragon bellows, belching forth a column of fire at you. Which you leap over, drawing it’s aim up into the sky instead of towards the others on the island. The crimson dragon follows you with it’s breath attack, neck stretching out and making an ideal target. So you immediately drop back down, landing on the glassed sand hard enough to shatter it, then blast off towards the dragon. You’re too fast for the beast, closing the distance before it can react, and swing.

“RRRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, emerald blade slamming into the beast’s neck. Your sword bites deep, slashing right through the dragon’s scales and cutting through more than half of the beast’s neck. It’s flames stop immediately, neck flopping as you’d cut through it’s spine. But you don’t give it a chance, spinning back around and slashing the remains of it’s neck apart. The beast’s head flops lifelessly to the sands, body going limp as you float triumphantly over it. Then to your surprise the body begins dissolving, turning into a red mist-like substance that swiftly vanishes. With none of the machines standing you simply sigh out, ending your technique while Divine Dragon Force roars triumphantly. “Well, that’s that. Hey King Cold.”

“Greetings, Karn.” King Cold replies, walking up all regally as you drift back to the ground. In your Ascended Berserker form you stand even with Freeza’s father, but your power far surpasses his own now. Which is surprising, to say the least. “Good to see you back already, but, where did you go? I felt your presence vanish before I arrived.”
“Long story. Somehow ended up fighting a dragon trying to be a god.” you tell him, offering your hand. Which he takes, the two of you clasping forearms. “But I won, so now I’m back.”

“Interesting. I’ll have to ask you more about this sometime.” he says, then let’s go and turns to Raven. “However, we have more pressing matters. You have the artifact secured, yes?”
“Of course, it is awaiting us in the late Guardian’s room.” she says, opening a portal into a dark room and sending the amulet in ahead. “Shall we go?”
“Just a moment.” King Cold says to her, turning back to you. “Did you notice anything, particular, about that goblin?”

Well? Did you?

“I did see something worrying about him.” you reply, King Cold’s eyes narrowing interestedly. “I saw that same ‘M’ emblem on that man’s head that was on Cooler when he sided with Babidi.”
“So I wasn’t just seeing things.” King Cold says with a heavy sigh. “Babidi recognizes you as a threat, and sent his assassin after you.”
“Not quite. He seemed to be after this.” Raven says, pulling the amulet back out of wherever that secure storage room is. Still shrouding it in her own magical energy, it seems to no longer be acting like a beacon attracting wierdos to your planet. Thankfully. “I’m not sure who made such a thing, but one thing is certain: it wasn’t made by any mortal. This amulet is radiating with seriously powerful and really malicious divine energy. I’ve never felt something this powerfully evil before.”

“How powerful would you say this amulet is?” King Cold asks her, then seeing her face changes his ask slightly. “Not a precise measurement, but just an estimate of its power.”
“If I were to use the power of this artifact, right now, I could destroy everything from here to that.” she says, pointing over your shoulder. You turn, and seeing the rising sun feel your jaw drop. Turning to King Cold you see he’s shocked as well, clearly not anticipating such an answer. “Whoever made this, they were far stronger than the Supreme Kai.”
“Keep that amulet secured, stored away where no one can ever find it.” King Cold orders, sounding slightly scared of it. “From what you’re saying that artifact has the power to potentially release Majin Buu. We cannot allow Babidi to have it.”
“I understand.” she says, sending it back into her portal along with it’s box, swapping it with the Prophet’s stone dagger. It floats over to her hand, Raven offering the ancient blade hilt-first to King Cold. “No one shall know where the amulet is stored. And one ancient dagger.”

“Excellent.” he says, gingerly grasping the blade’s handle and lifting the blade to inspect it. He looks over the blade for several seconds, before turning towards a black puddle on the ground. “Little one, would you mind? Best not leave that vile substance unattended.”
“I got it! Go, Triumph!” she shouts, golden Stand burning away that tar-like substance in seconds. “There! All clean!”
“Karn? Raven? Cauli?” Meloka asks, appearing suddenly from your ship’s ramp. “What in the world’s been going on?”
cont

>>4782357
As you are explaining what happened, suddenly you realize something’s wrong: that assassin’s gone!

“Hey, where’d she go?” Cauli asks, looking around for the young Lin Kuei. “That bad lady who stole from Silver, did you see her escape?”
“She fled through a portal, not long after you were banished Karn.” Raven answers. “And with what was going on, I was unable to track where she went.”
“It’s alright, not worried about her causing any more trouble here.” you reply. “An’ sorry I couldn’t get you before this all happened, hun.”
“I’m just glad everything worked out well.” she says, her relief evident in her voice. “Are you going to be staying with us?”

“Oh no, I must get back.” King Cold says, waving her question off. “Especially with this sighting. I must get back, and keep searching for that bastard Babidi. We must prevent the revival of Majin Buu, no matter the cost.”

Well, what now?

“Hey, before you go, I’ve been meaning to ask you something.” you say, stepping forward. “You said this Majin Buu is powerful, and a real threat. Could you make a solid guess as to how another power would compare against it?”
“It has been a few centuries, and my own power has certainly waned over time.” King Cold says, clearly seeing where you’re going with this. But I believe that I can measure you against that monster. Show me, Karn. Show me your true, unrestrained power.”
“I’m aiming for the next form beyond this one, but I can show you everything I’ve currently got.” you say, clenching your fists and planting your feet. “This is my full power! GRRRRRRRAAAAAAA!!!”

And as you roar you cut loose, unleashing everything you have. With a roar begin pulling all your power to the surface, leaving nothing held back as you tap into one hundred percent of your Ascended Berserker form’s power. Emerald ki flares wildly as sparks dance around your form, New Salda itself trembling at your full power. You rise back to standing at your full height, meeting King Cold’s gaze.

“So. How’s this?” you ask, smirking at how much more powerful you are than him. And to think his power used to seem insurmountable. “How do I measure up?”

“Give me a minute, if you would.” he says, mirroring you as you’d prepared to unleash your power. “I cannot compare you in this form.”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=_Pz-pfVzAU8

You feel your eyes widen, and almost take a step back on pure instinct as the ground beneath you begins rumbling. Azure sparks begin dancing around King Cold as his icy aura flares, his strength surging.

“HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” he roars suddenly, ki spiking as his aura blazes bright and he vanishes within. Shielding your face with your arms, you’re forced to take a step back as his expanding power pushes against you. His strength multiplies over and over again, rapidly gaining on your own power. His strength rises continuously until his powerlevel is a little under half of your own, where it sits for several seconds. But then he roars again, and his power continues to climb until it’s nearly even with your own! And as the blinding light of his aura fades, you lower your arms and feel your jaw drop. “Sorry for the wait, I’m not as spry as I used to be.”

“Amazing.” you hear Raven say, sounding as if she wasn’t aware she’s talking. But you agree with the sentiment. Knowing how much more powerful Freeza’s fourth form is compared to his second, you knew King Cold’s power had to be impressive. But to know this isn’t the full extent of the power he wielded in his prime, and has weakened with age only given you more perspective. Yet for how surprised you are, King Cold somehow seems even more so. Until he suddenly collapses.
cont
>>
>>4782691
“Glurk!” he coughs, spraying blood as he drops to a knee. Freeza’s father nearly falls, but you and surprisingly Meloka are both there catching him. You feel his breathing labored, body trembling and his strength immediately begins plummeting. This isn’t good!
“TRIUMPH!!” Caulifla shouts, her Stand racing over to him and you know what you have to do. Without hesitation you grab King Cold’s head, lifting it to face Triumph as it begins crying sapphire tears. The drops go down his gasping throat and splash against his face, absorbed into his body near-instantly. And afyer a few seconds the tremors stop, and King Cold’s energy stabilizes. “Are you alright? Please be okay!”

“I-What was that?” he asks, eyes zeroing in on your daughter with terrifying intensity. It’s so shocking you almost drop him to move between them, and even Caulifla looks scared. “What did you do to me?”
“Caulifla there healed you.” Raven says, New Salda’s Guardian stepping forward just in front of your daughter. “Her Stand possesses incredible, no miraculous healing powers.”
“My Triumph can heal anything!” she says excitedly, then droops a bit, seemingly remembering something she doesn’t like. “Almost anything.”

King Cold then rises effortlessly to his feet, walks over to your daughter, then to everyone’s surprise kneels before her!

“Thank you, Caulifla.” King Cold says seriously, no hint of irony or sarcasm in his voice. “You have done for me what no other has. And for that, I’m in your debt. If you ever need me, don’t hesitate to reach out for me.”
“I, uhh, you’re welcome...?” she says, a little confused by his reaction. “If you needed healin’, just tell me. I heal people all the time, from getting hurt or sick or just messing up training harder than they should! I’m glad to help!”
“You have a wonderful daughter. Cherish her.” King Cold says, turning his attention fully to you. “Now, as for how you compare, that monster is still stronger than you. But, not by that much. Should you continue growing your power as you have over the past fifteen years, I have no doubts that you’ll surpass that monster within no more than a decade. Now, I must be off. This dagger needs examined. Farewell.”

And without another word explodes off the ground, leaving the atmosphere of New Salda behind before you can even reply. But that doesn’t stop Caulifla.

“Byeeeee! Take care!!” she shouts, waving at the sky after King Cold has already vanished. But with that done, what will you do now?

“Well today’s been...Eventful.” you say, powering down as far as you can without dropping out of your Ascended form and turning to Raven. “I’m sure you worked up an appetite too, won’t you join us for breakfast? I’m sure Silver’s making something especially delicious.”
“I don’t think I-“ she starts, the growling of her stomach loud enough to interrupt her. Raven’s face pinkens at this, but you don’t even acknowledge that, instead laying an oversized hand on her head.
“C’mon. My treat?” you ask her, the young Guardian smiling a small bit and nodding.
“Yaaay! Breakfast time, breakfast time!” Caulifla shouts, already rushing back onto the ship. You send a quick heads up to Silver, the four of you heading into your old ship to get ready to eat.

“Thanks for watching her, while I was sent out.” you tell Raven, as Caulifla runs ahead to your room with Meloka behind her. Which shows just how much your usually-possessive wife trusts the Guardian, not even looking back at the two of you as you lead her to the mess instead. “I really appreciate it.”
“Of course. I just wish I could have stopped it from happening in the first place.” she replies, sighing out a bit in frustration. “But I didn’t realize what that item was until it was too late.”
“Speaking of, I need some defense against magic.” you tell her. “So something like this doesn’t happen again. One day we’re gonna find that wizard Babidi again, plus who knows what else that’ll also know how to use magic. I can’t afford to be out of a fight like that again.”
“Unfortunately, without magic of your own, there’s little you can do about it.” she answers, as the two of you walk in and find an open table large enough for your family plus one. “Any sort of protective wards or enchantments that could stop magic of that caliber would be prohibitively expensive, drawing directly from your life force in absence of mana.”

“Damn. It was worth a try.” you say with a sigh, disappointed. You had hoped to stop anything like that from happening to you again, but it seems that it’s too much-
“However, there is something else.” she says, holding up a finger. Specifically her bare ring finger, wrapped in her shadowy magic resembling your Katchin wedding band. “There may be something else we can do. Perhaps I can enchant your wedding bands further?”
“What do you mean?” you ask, feeling a surge of curiosity. “Enchant it how?”
“Your rings are linked, made of the same block of material.” she answers, holding her fists together, splitting them apart, then holding her fingers into two rings. “Enchanted when they were still part of the same block to allow you both to communicate. I may be able to add onto the existing magic, allowing one-time teleportation from one ring and wearer to the other across dimensions.”

>>4782999
“You-You could do that?” you ask, feeling a surge of hope. If either you or Meloka are ever separated across dimensions like that again, you’ll be able to instantly return and finish the fight. It seems almost too good to be true. “What’s the catch?”
“For magic that powerful, it will only be able to hold one single charge.” she answers seriously. “One teleportation, from either ring to the other, then that magic would burn itself out. And you both would have to bring them to me to re-power that enchantment. Which could take from a few days up to a few weeks. Depending on how complicated the final spells turn out to be.”

“That sounds like an excellent idea.” Meloka says, your wife sitting down on the other side of Raven with little Okira and Karn Jr in her arms. As she and your kids all take their seats, Silver’s boy Jim and one of the adoptee servers begin filling the table. At which point conversation stops, as everyone digs in. Half an hour or so later, with the meal done and everyone content with breakfast, you and Meloka entrust your rings to Raven for her to begin enchanting them before she steps through one of her portals back to the island. Doubtlessly you start working on it immediately, so you decide to take the kids for training yourself. But what do you do?

Well?
>Have them all try to attack you, both to test their fighting and to train your control over your Ascended form
>Take them into the forest, and start trying teaching them some of yours and Meloka’s energy techniques
>Have the older kids all get their weapons, and get both of yours as well. Test how well they can use them against you, and see if there’s any obvious improvements to make
>Test their defenses against someone far stronger than themselves, see how they each handle being outclassed

By the way GD. I had a thought. Personally never remember the kids ages and I had an idea. Could you add their year of birth to the pastebins? That way we can just track their ages by comparing it to the year you post at the top of every thread.

“Alright kids, who’s ready for today’s training?” you ask, and all of them are immediately out of their chairs. During lunch Caulifla, between bites had been explaining what happened, and the big bad robots you all were taking down. Because of that everyone, even Broly who’s usually far more reserved and quiet, seems to be in a mood to throw down with someone. So you decide to channel their aggression towards you, who can take it, instead of possibly injuring someone, or a lot of someones else. “Okay, follow me. Today’s training is going to be a bit different than usual.”

“Different how?” Tatsu and Tomi ask you simultaneously. Which is odd, because you see them not actually touching despite walking so closely together. Perhaps they’ve taken their special twin abilities further in the past few days?
“Yeah, how?” Caulifla follows up, everyone following you outside. And despite hearing about it from their sister, they all seem momentarily mesmerized by the glassed beach around the ship. “Are we not trainin’ with Raven and Teacher today?”
“Not today. Today you’re going to be practicing against an opponent.” you say, lifting into the air. “Today, you’ll all be fighting against me.”

No one says anything, the kids looking between themselves confused. All except for Broly, who immediately rises off the ground to bring himself eye level with you.

“Let’s do this.” he says confidently, their older brother’s response giving the others confidence and everyone rises up as well. “I’m ready.”
“Then let’s go!” you say, turning towards the mainland and blasting off. “Follow me!”

And they do, everyone following you to the familiar clearing you practice your swordplay under the spectral, watchful eye of the spirit locked away in the Holocron on your ship. You land in the middle of the clearing, everyone else touching down after several seconds and wordlessly forming a circle around you, awaiting your instruction.

“Today you all will be sparring against me.” you tell them, walking in a slow circle so you can meet each of their eyes in turn. “No taking turns? or waiting in line, or pulling punches: this will be all of you doing your best against me. Fight me however you can and try to take me down. This lesson isn’t about sharpening your technique, or practicing your forms. This is about fighting an opponent well outside of your ability, and staying in the fight as long as possible. Does everyone understand?”

“Yes!” is chorused amongst your kids, you immediately backflipping up over Broly and Kayle, who were behind you and land ready to fight in your usual stance. Left arm up, right back and ready to strike as you gesture with your left hand.

“Let’s begin!”

“HRRRRAAAAA!!” Broly roars, immediately Ascending as his siblings all transform as well, and charging headlong at you. You’re ready to strike, to send him fly ng back, but the instant before he’s in range leaps into the sky. Instinctually your eyes follow him, almost missing the older twins immediately rushing you from behind him. But you do see them, and punch with your right fist. It doesn’t connect with them, but with the gap in power the sudden shockwave knocks them both back. “HAAAAA!!”

Raising your left arm, you block his front-flipping axe kick with your forearm. Which leaves your left side wide-open, an opening Caulifla exploits with a razor-sharp disc of magic. The golden halo-like disc slashes into your exposed side, not cutting deep enough to be dangerous but still spraying a bit of your blood out onto the forest floor

“Tch!” you wince, turning your focus on her. And before she can move you grab Broly by the ankle, and sling him at your daughter. Neither can avoid the collision, bodies slamming together and crashing to the ground. Just in time for a surprisingly-powerful beam fired from the younger twins to strike you in the chest. Despite not even being five years old, Maz and Kayle are surprisingly powerful thanks to being Super Saiyans themselves. And combining their power into one attack, similar to how the older twins do it. But you notice something’s different immediately as you block the beam with your right hand: their powers don’t fully mesh like Tatsu and Tomi’s do for some reason. Who immediately attack you from different sides as soon as the beam proves ineffective.

“HYAAAA!” Tatsu shouts, going for a turning left kick for the back of your right knee.
“KYAAAA!” Tomi shouts, throwing a powerful left haymaker at your face from your left. Tomi you send flying back with a left backhand to the chest, hearing her wheeze out as the wind leaves her body, while lifting your right leg to dodge Tatsu’s attack. Then kick back with your right, feeling your foot slam into something. Something that gives with a sickening crunch.
“GYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!” the older twins both scream in pain, you turning to see Tatsu’s forearm bent backwards in almost a right angle as blood pours from his face. Seems he tried to block the kick, instead of dodging, and you kicked through his arm and into his face. The immediate guilt you feel washes away the exhilaration of battle, which you hadn’t realized had already built to this level as he rolls around in pain.

“Caulifla, you have to help him.” you shout immediately, again taking your stance while giving orders. “The rest of you, distract me. Don’t let an opponent finish any of you off, when you’ve got the chance to save-!”

“GRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!”
cont
>>
>>4783376
You almost don’t react fast enough to Broly’s enraged roar, your eldest blitzing at you and swinging with a powerful right. You turn and narrowly manage to block his attack with your crossed forearms, focusing most of your attention on the others while he attacks enraged. Tomi’s seemingly recovered, her power shooting up at her twin’s agony and launches herself at you as well while Caulifla rushes Tatsu and the younger twins take to the sky.

“RRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!” Tomi rages, her scream blood-curdling as she swings for your head. You block her strike with your left forearm, surprised at the sudden spike in her Super Saiyan power. Seems her brother’s shared pain finally allowed her to Ascend on her own, without touching her twin. Broly immediately switches into his Su Ma, flipping and spinning around you while Tomi tries to just rage and bulldoze through you. Which doesn’t go well for her, as her dozenth strike you simply catch. “Huh?”

Before she can react you carefully slam your forehead into hers, knocking her straight down into the ground. Broly tries to take advantage of this and swing a two-handed axe-handle at the back of your neck. But you dodge by dropping straight down to all fours, then immediately shoving off the ground right into him. Your broad back crashes against your son, launching him skyward. Just in time for you to see a blazing lightning bolt headed right for you!

“Shh!” you seethe, spinning into a clockwise roll away from Caulifla’s magical attack. The powerful lightning magic streaks by, the little forking sparks along it’s length singing your training suit it’s so close. You continue the spin, flipping several times before landing on your feet a few yards from where you’d downed Tomi. And in that time, realize you’d forgotten someone. Or rather, two someones.
“HAAAAAAAAAA!!” the youngest twins roar, you looking up to see a surprisingly giant ball of ki dropping down right at you!
“Tch! HAAAAAAAA!!” you breathe through clenched teeth, then brace yourself and catch the attack. Firing off a quick telepathic message to Broly to move them, you then hurl the massive ball back skyward. As the attack leaves your hands, body fully extended, Tatsu’s suddenly there. Distracted by the giant ball you hadn’t sensed his approach, your son firing a big right with everything he’s got square at your guts. “GYUH!”

“RRRAAAAA!!” he roars, the unexpected blow not sending you flying like he’d hoped but knocking you back half a step. “What?”
“Nice try.” you say, flaring your aura and it knocking him back away from you. “But you’ve got to do better than that.”

“Broly, you’re the strongest. But not strong enough to take me one on one.” you shout, then immediately dash to him and close the distance. “So quit trying, and fight as a team.”
“Byaaaaa!” he shouts as your left fist finds his gut and launches the boy backwards away from the others.
“HYAAAAAAAA!!” Tatsu and Tomi roar, each one firing a powerful wave of energy at you from opposite sides. You leap in the air, both beams slamming into each other as you create a small ki bomb in each hand, throwing one down behind each of the twins. The ki explodes and launches the kids into the air, catching them in separate hands before swinging them together in front of you. “Owwww!”

“You two are strongest fighting fully together. Against a significantly stronger opponent, you need every bit of power you can gather.” you say, then throw them together to the ground. “Use your natural talents to their fullest.”
“FINAL FLASH!!” Caulifla shouts, firing an immense, powerful golden beam towards you. But you’re too quick, raising your right hand to your forehead and use Instant Transmission to teleport behind her. Before she even knows what’s going on you grab her by the head, lifting her off the ground. The shock causes her to lose the attack, you turning her to face you.
“Sneak attacks going for openings made by the others is good, but you have to make openings for them to attack from as well.” you tell her, letting go then palm-striking her in the chest. She wheezes as you send her flying as well, leaving only the youngest two Meloka’s not holding unaddressed. Who’re both staring up at you, wide-eyed. “Not bad. But don’t just stand and stare at your opponent. Stay moving.”

To emphasize this point you grab them both, and pitch them as well towards their siblings. More of a toss than a pitch really, as throwing them would probably do some real damage. And with all of them down together, you address them all as a group.

“Alright, that was enough of a warm up.” you say, once more taking your fighting stance as you face them. “Now, fight me as if your siblings’ lives are on the line! Quit holding back, and hit me with everything you’ve got!”

Cold will certainly start reaching for his old glory once again. Much to Cooler’s confused joy yet disappointment.
>>4783591
That show made them worse. Which actually let Caulifla heal him better, since the wounds were more open.
>>4783595
Side quests can be enjoyable, even if the stakes aren’t always apocalyptic

>>4783605
What happened is he reached his fourth form, and was still outclassed by Karn. So, in a moment of pure ego, went for 100% Full Power. Which severely fucked him up internally, old wounds tearing wide open and leaving him even worse than normal when transforming. But now the worst of the cursed internal injuries has been healed, King Cold can actually train his body again without it killing him.
>>
>>4783610
So Cold still can't do 100% but now he can shake the rust off and get back in shape? Neato.
>>
>>4783610
>It’s going to be a long road. But you’re in good company
No such thing as an arduous journey with friends and family I suppose.
Jiren would beg to differ obviously, but he can eat shit.
>Much to Cooler’s confused joy yet disappointment.
What's to be disappointed by?
If he still loves his daddy, he should be overjoyed at the prospect of his return to form as well as the opportunity to train with him.
Conversely, if he was gonna be a bastard and do what I think you're implying, he should at least relish in the newfound challenge of doing so.
>So, in a moment of pure ego, went for 100% Full Power. Which severely fucked him up internally
Ha. Happens to the best of us I guess.
>that spoiler
Wait...so it was partly magical?
Is there still some lingering effects?
Caulifla's divine healing should be able to clear those up completely.
Also I have one big question.
If King Cold was actually a fair bit stronger than his current max, and his father was able to go Golden, how did the Order end up getting destroyed by Bibidi and Buu?
>>
>>4783613
Going for 100% Full Power is incredibly stressful on even a healthy body. Which King Cold’s wasn’t before. Now, however, he’s been given a new lease on life.
>>4783619
Jiren would. But he’ll face Universe 7 soon enough.
Compare their powers. He makes a good show, and Cooler was conditioned to fear his father’s wrath. But Cooler learned that he’s stronger than his father, and it was his brother who was his better. May not be the case for much longer.
Yes
And not to include too much spoilers, look back at what Cold thought Daretti was and his interactions there. Maybe you’ll see it.
>how did the Order end up getting destroyed by Bibidi and Buu?
Because a planet coming down with a case of exploding violently can kill even Freeza’s race if they’re caught by surprise in a blast like that. Remember, on Namek canon Freeza held back so he wouldn’t get caught in the blast of it blowing up in his face and risk dying.
>>
>>4783635
>Because a planet coming down with a case of exploding violently can kill even Freeza’s race if they’re caught by surprise in a blast like that.
Huh. So Bibidi actually thought ahead to some degree.
That said, was nobody in the Order able to see the events transpire ahead of time via the force?
I feel like the Consulars at the time would have caught that.
>>
>>4783644
Buu feels like one of those entities who could, if they wanted to, completely fuck with the force in strange and unpredictable ways, essentially making it his bitch.
Dude can tantrum his way through dimensions and has more magic in his little pinkie than entire galaxies have in their population combined.
If he feels someone looking at him from the past using the force, he'd just punch the force so hard it breaks for a while or some nonsense like that.
Or maybe this is all just me speaking drivel and bibidi knew some spells for that kind of stuff.
>>
>>4783655
Something like an entire planet exploding (or more specifically, their entire population dying at once) can also leave something of a hole in the force.
It could be that the event was so traumatic, that all anybody trying to see the future of that planet got was a massive hole.
>>
>>4783644
Well Bibidi was probably the smart one. Babidi just has ye olde magic on his side and STEALTH.
>>
>>4783678
It's not that hard to be stealthy in the vastness of space.
It also doesn't help that Shin is incredibly incompetent and doesn't really understand how anything outside of his dumbass god realm works.
>>
>>4783686
lmao baba could find babidi i bet
>>
>>4783699
Baba could find Babidi in like two hours. She'll just ask everyone who was killed by those old freaks where their vengeful spirit senses tingle.
>>
>>4783644
They were in the middle of the Clone War at the time. Ironically enough, Palpatine’s dark shroud allowing him to remain undetected via the Force also allowed Buu to do the same. They had maybe five seconds of prewarning, max.
And Bibidi was a clever one, far moreso than Babidi.
>>4783655
Potentially. Would recommend NOT trying to grab him via telekinesis.

“Haaiyaaaaa!!” Caulifla shouts, chime jingling as she swings a sword made of lightning at the back of your left knee. Meanwhile you’re simultaneously trying to block Broly’s combined Su Ma assault with Tomitsu. The joined twins strike from unexpected angles and with far more force than you’d expect from just reading their combined power. With you pressed on the full defensive you can’t dodge her, so instead unwrap your tail from your waist and swing it right down on her wrists. “Yeowch!”

“Don’t try for a sneak attack if your weapon is gonna make that much noise.” you say, chime jangling as it hits the ground. Caulifla probably flipping back and away too before your tail can swat her as well, as it only hits air. But you block a powerful pair of blows from the older kids, Broly and Tomitsu, then suddenly you feel a sharp pain in the back of your head as Cauli smashes her elbow into you. “Tch!”
“Distraction!” she shouts excitedly, following up her hit by slamming her left knee into your temple and staggering you. Broly immediately tries to capitalize on the hit and keep pressure, but with a small Explosive Wave blast them all back. Just in time to leave yourself wide open, again, for the youngest twins’ attack.

“HAAAAAAAAAA!!” they shout together, firing another beam right for your face. To which you throw out an arm, focus your will, and create your shield.
“Barrier.” you say, as the emerald bubble forms around you an instant before the beam hits. Your energy shields you from the blast, energy deflecting harmlessly around you for several seconds, allowing you to take stock of everyone. Despite having been fighting against you for over an hour now, they’re all still standing. Thanks to Caulifla and her different methods of healing, allowing her siblings to stay in the fight despite having broken several bones apiece. Which is mostly your fault, still not used to restraining your Ascended Berserker power in this way. But they’re all clearly nearing their limits, chests heaving and most are barely standing. So when the beam ends you drop your shield, and prepare to say something. But your wife speaks first.

“Alright kids, take a break.” she says, Caulifla flopping onto her back with an exaggerated, exhausted sigh of relief. “I think it’s my turn.”

As she quits suppressing her strength, Meloka’s power multiplies ten times over, unleashing the full power of her Super Saiyan 3. To which you can’t help but smirk, more than ready for this impromptu sparring match with your wife. But there’s only one question:

How do you start it off!

“Alright, let’s do this!” you shout, and without hesitation charge forward. Meloka tries gathering ki into both hands, but before she can unleash whatever attack she’d planned you strike. “HAAAAAA!!”

As you punch with a straight right Meloka twists out around your fist, your punch passing harmlessly through her long golden hair. She spins into a turning left kick, you narrowly ducking under the powerful blow then rising up with a powerful right backhand. Meloka flips backwards over your fist, trying to drop a knee down onto your head which you block with your left forearm. The force of limbs clashing kicks up a powerful shockwave that knocks the leaves from the trees, Meloka shoving off and flipping around into a turning left kick at the right side of your head. Which you block with your right forearm, the force reversing her spin. Meloka turns that into another attack, twisting into a right punch aimed at your head. But you’re done playing defense.

“HAAAAAA!!” you shout, striking with a left forearm strike down at her. Meloka blocks the blow with both arms, your attack smashing her down to the ground.
“Tch!” she exhales as her feet crash into the ground, you immediately following up with a powerful right knee. She keeps her arms crossed into an x and blocks it, your blow sending her sliding backwards. Then before she can recover and stop you step down with your right into it, punching her guard with a powerful right punch. The blow is more than she can take, Meloka flipping backward as the force knocks her right off her feet.

“Woah!” Caulifla shouts, louder than the others. “Good one dad! Keep your guard up Momma!”
“Tsssss!” Meloka seethes through clenched teeth, flipping back onto all fours and sliding backwards. Before you can close the distance again, she fires a pair of orbs from her fists at you as she slides to a stop. “HAAAAA!!”
“Barrier!” you shout, emerald sphere forming around you as you charge. The two balls split into Scattershots before striking your shield, but harmlessly bounce off your energy. She sees this and switches into a different technique, drawing her long ki blade and swinging it back and forth. From her blade dozens of those powerful ki needles burst, striking your Barrier as well. However, instead of deflecting off, about half the needles actually pierce into and stuck in the Barrier. You only have a second or so before they explode! So without a moment to spare you focus on your shield, and toss it forward off of you towards Meloka. Who simply leaps high into the sky to avoid your shield as it explodes where she was standing.
cont
>>
>>4784307
As Meloka leaps into the air, you notice her gathering ki into both hands. Which she slams together as she stops, and unleashes one of her most devastating attacks, in your personal opinion.

“BLADESTORM!” she shouts, firing it down. It looks like a Final Flash, but instead of a beam
she fires an absolute storm of the jagged, razor-sharp ki needles down at you. Without hesitation you blast off straight into the sky, knowing from personal experience how badly that attack can maim you. Meloka sees her attack misses and ends it, backflipping and firing a Death Slash from her tail at you. Seeing it coming you fire back with one of your own, the two blades of ki slashing into each other and exploding. You sweep a hand, blasting the smoke away to show Meloka’s already got a dozen fist-sized orbs of golden ki floating around her, and energy gathered into both fists. “Heh. Not bad. But let’s see how you handle this!”

What do you do now?
>Keep up the Djem So pressure, the less of that she can do the better
>Barrier and rush in, deflect whatever she’s trying before again going into your Djem So attacks
>Defend, see what new attacks she’s doubtlessly been cooking up
>Keep your distance, exchange ki attacks without closing in for hand-to-hand and see how much better she’s got

“Haaaaaaaaaaa!!” you shout, crossing your arms and focusing, aura flaring wildly as you concentrate. You feel your body begin splitting apart, splitting your prodigious power into two separate bodies. As your Multiform technique finishes, you’re standing beside yourself in the air facing your wife. It’s disorienting at first, looking at her from two seperate bodies, and as one have your yous take your fighting stance. “Let’s see how you handle this!”
“Going for a tag team, huh?” she asks, pumping even more power to the orbs in her fists. “That’ll just make it harder for me to miss! HAAAA! HYAAA!!”

“BARRIER!” you shout from the right body, forming the emerald shield again as you charge. Meanwhile your other body dashes around to Meloka’s right, keeping at a distance. Her Scattershots don’t pierce through the shield, but it seems that wasn’t their goal. Once your shielded body is surrounded Meloka fires a Death Beam into one of her shots, trapping that body inside a Hellzone Prison! At the same time she turns her right hand towards you, and fires a Scatter Beam at your chest! But you have enough time to counter, throwing your right hand forward and unleashing your energy in a powerful, emerald wave. The five beams strike your attack in the center, but don’t have the raw power to stop your attack. So your wave beats her small beams, overwhelming them and closing the distance rapidly. But to your surprise she doesn’t seem worried, one of her Warding Eyes flying between your attack and her. And just before it hits, the Eye expands! Growing from the size of your wife’s fist to the size of your other you’s Barrier, which was strong enough to beat the beams of Hellzone Prison so you’re still closing in, your beam is deflected harmlessly around the outside of the Barrier and away from her body.

But your Barrier’d body is still charging, now past the Hellzone Prison you’ve probably crossed more than half the distance between you two now. She realizes this as well, again drawing her ki out. But this time forms a familiar looking attack, she copied your Energy Javelin!

“HAAAA!!” she roars, launching the spear at the you inside your Barrier. So you back out of the shield, letting it continue forward as it was while you simply stop. The javelin pierces right into the shield, then before it can pierce back out the other side at you, it detonates.

KABOOM

cont
>>
>>4784517
As your other you’s shield explodes, you end the energy wave seeing it as ineffective and change attacks. Stopping the beam you fire your own, special Energy Javelin. It rockets through the sky towards her, but before it can strike the barrier it splits! The one lance of power becomes a dozen, the first two striking the shield and piercing through the outside similarly to her own attack. But as they explode, her Barrier shields the other ten from those two’s bursts. Meloka realizes what’s happening, leaping back away from both them and your other charging self. Your lances pass harmlessly between herself and your other body, who closes the distance just in time to grab the last of the Scatter Lances.

“Not so fast!” you shout, slinging the lance end over end as it swiftly begins glowing brighter and brighter.
“Barr-!” she starts, but before the shield can activate the Scatter Javelin explodes. “GAAAAAH!”
“Got you!” you shout, the same body that threw the javelin tossing a pair of Scattershots at her. But Meloka’s got an attack for that, raising both hands fingertips-first towards your energy and unleashes a storm of small beams.
“Take this!” she retaliates, firing hundreds of small blasts the size of her thumb a second. Her attack completely no-sells your Scattershot, detonating them all and sending hundreds more towards you. Leaving your ranged body only one option.

“Barrier!” you shout, the suddenly-formed shield protecting you from the attack. Meanwhile your other body tries rushing her from the left, but as you get close the Warding Eyes attack. A dozen or so beams are fired from the small orbs, forcing you to dodge them. But it seems she’s upgraded her eyes since the last time she used them against you, each orb firing off more than one beam! As soon as the first one misses they all stop, and fire again in your new position after maybe a split second.
“Shit!” you exhale, dodging around the second volley of beams. And then the third, fourth, and fifth. Meanwhile your other body, secure inside the Barrier, begins charging through the bullet storm towards Meloka. She sees both of you approaching, and stops both attacks. Instead gathers her ki into a pair of large orbs, and launches one at each of you. Both orbs are easily the size of your Berserker bodies and have the power to match, if they blow up on you it could hurt. However, just as they’re about to hit, both orbs stop and fly straight into the air. Both of you turn to look at them, watching as the two orbs smash together above the three of you. Then, they both somehow seemingly disappear for an instant, before expanding into a ball of ki somehow larger than even the Lucrehulk!

“FINAL JUDGEMENT!”

And suddenly you really wish you hadn’t split into two bodies.

And that’s it for this weekend, enjoying the episode so far? Ready to see Meloka’s newest ultimate technique, and face her Final Judgement? >Ready to see Meloka’s newest ultimate technique, and face her Final Judgement?
Is she ready to face our...uh...unnamed ultimate attack? You know the one.
>Curious how the kids are feeling about this battle, and who they think’s gonna win?
I can imagine they're enjoying the lightshow while also be absolutely enthralled by the level of combat they're witnessing.
Also obviously they think Karn is gonna win. He always pull it out right when you think he's cornered.
But quick question...how fast can we fuse back into a single body?
Also, can either body Instant Transmission to the other?
>>
>>4784530
If we try to manifest DDF, can we manifest it only at a single body at a time?

Well, at any rate, I think our best bet is Instant Transmissioning our bodies to the same spot and combining their efforts into a really big unnamed attack. Probably less efficient than just doing it without multiform on, but you have to admit that the visuals for it would be radical as FUCK.
>>

We really need a Meloka pastebin at some point.
Also on the topic of the pastebin, I noticed a few discrepancies.
First and foremost, Karn's powerlevel is slightly out of date on multiple pages, specifically being 7 threads behind on his character sheet and 4 threads behind on the powerlevel listing page.
Also, Karn's character sheet lists Legendary Super Saiyan as a X80 mulitplier, while the powerlevel sheet and transformation list say it's a X100 multiplier.
>>
>>4784791
>Meloka pastebin

>>
>>4784915
Glad I could be of assistance
>>
>>4784947
Honestly just glad someone reads them. Don’t want all that work to have just been a colossal waste of time.
>>
>>4784977
I read them a in between threads to get a better read on how we're doing in comparison to everybody else, and vice versa.
When things are regularly updated, it becomes a decent enough metric to judge who's struggling to improve and who's blowing us out of the water.
I try and read through our movelist whenever we're in particularly good spots or extreme situations.
I also remember reading about Scatter Javelins yesterday, and had I actually woken up on time today, I probably would have suggested using them on Meloka while she had her Warding Eyes up.
Glad to see I wasn't alone in that.
>>
>>4784977
I read them when I want to double-check my shit before posting write-ins, usually.
And sometimes when posing questions to you, or theoreticals to the rest of the anons.
>>
>>4784915
Lol
>>
>>4784977
I usually read them to check up on the kids or students, sometimes to see if someone off screen has progressed. I also like to use them to recall moves and the like incase we're forgetting something that can help our current situation or haven't used something in awhile
>>
>>4784993
On that note, I feel like we've been sleeping on a few techniques.
>Scatter Beam
>Warding Eyes
>Ki Bomb
>Piercing Fist
Just those 4 are incredibly useful, though admittedly situational.
Imagine Warding Eyes combined with our Super Ki Blade technique.
Or what about upgrading our Hellzone Grenade with Scatter Javelins.
There's a lot of ideas we could try now that we have a lot of the basic stuff down.
Whatever the case, we should try and figure out how to reincorporate some of our more esoteric moves into our current fighting style.
>>
>>4784977
I check pastebins pretty often but I work Sun-Mon so 99.99% of the time I'm not really here to comment on anything and can only post after the runs during the week.
>>
>>4785005
Tbf we use scatter beam all the time. As for variants regarding piercing first chaya's the one to go to, warding is obviously Meloka's jazz so she could help us there. Ki bombs I don't get, don't see much more versatility then what we already pull, might be better to go for something like.... warding energy javelins? That could be cool, or a hell zone equivalent so we have javelins we can send in at any time to surprise our foe.
>>4784977
As an aside is chaya's pastebin fully updated? If seems so as there's a move or two she's gotten that I don't recall but it still says her sword is missing.

Also anon's I love or chuuni son, he's renamed his hellzone prison to death prison. And also had learned to pull the time out of mortal beings in combat apparently but that's less important

Scatter Javelins are one of the best moves to come out of the war. And they are good metrics, enough to know how the friendly universe sits anyways.
>>4784993
We do have a lot of possible techniques to combine. Like firing the Piercing Fist out, but so far that was a one-time event.
>>4785002
Keeping the dust off of old techniques means they’ll perform better. And the more often you use a move, to a point, the easier it’s initial DCs for success are. Until you face an opponent ready for it.
>>4785005
Scatter Beam is always good, but not really a go-to attack in friendly training. And every attack is situational. Some just have more viable situations than others, like a basic Energy Wave. Quick, simple, and requires almost no thought to fire.
Hellzone Grenade will not work with the Javelins. Now Warding Eyes, however...

Hm. I looked on the Pastebin but it wasn’t in Karns inventory, do we got any of that Dark Souls Divine Blessing Cauli gave us left? Because that would probably count as an Act of God given it’s source.

As for the curse, the obvious suspect is Bibidi I imagine, babidi wouldn't be checking under his bed every night to see if Cold was there if he knew the man was cursed, weakened, and on borrowed time.

Jesus, that's a high claim, and as he's been going now, he's harder than most adult Saiyan's. If it wasn't for his little ray of high explosives, he'd just be....scary. In semi related thoughts, I'm re-reading the Fate Paradox Archive, and can't help but wonder, how fucked the Fate World would be during the Grail War if Chilli was ever involved by some freak accident.
>>4787198

Would be a terrifying experience for those humans. Chilli is strong enough to fight even the strongest of phantoms hand-to-hand himself. The entire rest of the competition would have to fight him to stand a chance.
He already had his closure with the late Guardian, and now that he can go full power he’s blitzing to his home planet. He has something he needs to do immediately.

I'm half tempted to try and imagine a timeline where one of them accidentally rings up a Rival Towa, who then snags Chilli to throw in the ring to get magic combat data off the only know Saiyan Archmage. Then I think a step further and imagine someone pulling Megu into the game too.

Hell, in the 5 seconds of summoning he'd be able to identify any god-like or Undead being on the planet. By one minuet, if inclined, and his victims aren't in some ultra sealed bunker in that moment. Slaughter every Undead Apostle and Undead Apostle Ancestor in the next minuet. Only if he knew what was going on when he shows up and is given a reason to do so.

Chilli VS Arcueid, who wins? True Ancestors are bullshit, but they also violate the laws of death so I imagine Chilli would get some aid there.

Could she beat Primate Murder? Chilli is super that guy, plus Reaper Magic. She could probably handle him base form, maybe, and if we are REALLY generous and use the Arcueid from say, the Fate Paradox Qst, with her full power, maybe a Super Saiyan. But with SS2 Chilli? At that point its a fight of, if her regeneration can keep up with being reduced to hamburger meat every millisecond, and being able to hold him back. And that's not including him using magic, because Chilli more than probably anyone, knows the difference in Ki and Magic being a minor problem in a fight, and nobody can touch his level of Ki. He is the Swolest Mage to walk they're world, bar none. Wait, would they have manga of Dragonball at the time, and would any of them know what he was at that point when they see his tail, or would most assume he's Sun Wu Kong until he opens his mouth? God, I'm imagining him meeting Gilgamesh, and in the middle of him lazily posing with that Elemental Smug face of his, Chilli gets pissed and starts insulting his weak posses, then starts a pose off against him.
>>
>>4787269
>Like he’d expose that. Man’s been playing his cards close to the chest longer than your clan had lived on Planet Vegeta. I will say, he’s now more than 60% healed.
Huh. Further thoughts. Would Cauli's Miracles do anything for Cold, given they are basically lessor divine magics, or does he need something more potent like the Divine Blessing, or something equally esoteric?

>>4787269
>He has something he needs to do immediately.

Hm.......funny thing. You said Home Planet and not HQ....so the Home Planet of the Frost Demons before most of the race got wiped? Hm....hard to say what he'd put there instead of his secret base.
>>
>>4787123
It’s far too late, anon. Ignoring Chilli has been woven into the very fabric of this quest. It cannot be undermined.
>>
>>4787298
Ha. Close, but no.
Chilli has enough speed and power to take even Gilgamesh
>>4787302
His Death magic will be able to hit phantasms for insane damage.
>>4787310
>Arcueid

>>4787322
>Primate Murder
That either. No idea what they are from or can do.
>>4787340
Probably not. His body’s resistances would keep anything short of a Sunlight Spear from having any real effect.
I wonder...
>>4787388
This quest is the culmination of anons’ choices. You can choose how we move forward.
>>
>>4787399
A thought just popped into my head.
Would learning how to utilize Hamon help at all with Cold's lingering injuries?
Worst case scenario, he still gets an excuse to go learn stuff from the Guardian's holocron.

If you have a Dragonball Character, tell us about it. Share with the rest of the class.
I won’t make fun of you, even I have a few from the dragonball tabletop game I was in a while ago.

>dragonball tabletop game
That's usually the excuse I give to artists I commission for art of quest characters, but I'm curious.
Are there actually any decent full fledged Dragonball tabletop systems?
>>
>>4787399
>Have no idea what the hell this is.
"Pure Blooded" natural higher vampire princess
>That either. No idea what they are from or can do.
From what I can tell, a primal Beast that was born to hunt humans.

The issue with brainstorming a matchup between this DB-based setting and a TypeMoon-based setting is they're so different it's a borderline logical impasse. For instance, in DB planets and moons are powder-kegs just waiting to get blown up, while in TM if someone tried shooting a beam attack at them they'd find a way to shoot another beam in response. Or how compare how gods are handled, it'd be a joke to pit Kami or King Kai against something like Tiamat or a TYPE.
And then there's current Fatequest's MC who basically has omnipotence with a stamina bar, the size and regen rate of which are constantly getting buffed.
It'd ultimately all be down to author fiat.
>>
>>4787454
No, that wouldn’t help. And he knows of the holocron, but made his peace with the old Guardian’s passing. Doesn’t want to see him as just a shade of his old self.

Mine were all stick figures before this quest, and didn’t really have story

Not a dragonball character, but my first dnd character was a dragonborn named after goku whomst ascended to godhood after eating panties woven from the fabric of the universe.

No. But don't let that stop you.
You can modify a lot of systems to get what you want from it. I'm a big fan of systems that use One Roll Engine, myself.
>>4788354
Git gud at art someday, it's not bad for getting your ideas onto paper.
>>4788397
Dragonborn? Dangerously scaly, anon.

One of my characters was an Ankoku-sejin (Yakon's race) working for the galactic patrol under the promise of good food. Stopped a prison riot, then went out and busted heads to get hired as a drug cartel's enforcer and work his way up the chain. Immediately arrested the head honcho as soon as the head honcho foolishly entrusted him with incriminating evidence, and all of this was done within a single day.
>>
>>4788354
>None of that answers my question though. The hell is that?
You need to be more specific here, this is fate shit going off my own very loose understanding gleamed from the ravings of its questers.

I think he's asking about what exactly Primate Murder is and what it can do.

>This. I thought Fate was about rule 63’d historical figures beating the shit out of each other and sorcerers for the chance at a monkey’s paw wish. But I only ever watched Zero, so what do I know?
Fate Stay Night and Fate Zero are small parts of a much wider universe and mythos and it can get really fucking wild and the fans can be really fucking anal about the accuracy of the lore.
>>
>>4789366
Like how games should be. Gameplay should be 1st priority, story 2nd. Newer games are more slogging through ass gameplay to see a mildly-interesting story with one-dimensional cardboard characters.
>>4789373
All I know of the fate franchise is Zero, and some things I’ve seen on ^n^. If you know you know.
>>
>>4789426
All I know about the Fate franchise is they make prominent male figures female for no real reason, and give everybody the lamest designs possible regardless of gender.
>>
>>4789426
seeing the word Zero suddenly made me think about the awe-inspiring autistic spiral that is Megaman lore
It somehow goes from "Good guy's robot fights bad guy's robots" to "Bad guy's robot infects robots worldwide with supervirus program but bad guy's robot turns good while the supervirus fucks everything up" to "thousands of years pass and bad guy's robot loses original body and memories but ends up saving the day from good guy robot's evil clone" to "all the robots just fucking melted into sentient biometal that can fuse with organic beings"
>>
>>4789468
It's even more batshit insane than that. If you played Megaman 11 you'll learn that the entire lore starts with a guy getting denied a research grant and ends with the extinction of the last organic human in Megman Legends 2. It's the most extreme domino effect in all of fiction.

>>4789575
Dont forget Evil Energy.

>Gilgamesh’s all-gold plate was gaudy as fuck, but I liked it. That’s how an arrogant man-god should show up and act.
And yet Gilgamesh still looks nothing like Gilgamesh, a certified fucking chad.
He gets relegated to looking like some generic ass anime boy who looks like he can't even bench his bodyweight.
>>
>>4790589
One of these two bodies could be used to effectively wrestle the savage man Enkidu.
>>
>>4790589
>>4790655
I’m not saying it was ACCURATE. Fate’s Alexander looked more like Gilgamesh was supposed to, historically. But this is an anime where King Arthur would have been mistaken for a twink if you even assumed she was male. Historically-accurate character portrayal isn’t what Fate is about
>>
>>4790833
It's about people dying when they are killed.
>>
>>4790833
Actually wait, wasn't Alexander irl kind of like a muscular twink? Had a "pretty" and "boyish" face or something, right?

>>4790852
Yes
>>
>>4787123
Was one of the anons that didn't vote to helicopter parent Chilli and I still don't regret it, but yeah I do dislike we didn't go for brining our boy in on the probably most magic intensively solo moment Karn's ever had. He could have likely picked up a lot from being there but ah well.
>>4786135
>Literal act of God
Would a newly returned dragon god do?
>>
>>4790852
He was considered boyish mostly because of his bright eyes and lack of facial hair.
being clean shaven was kinda rare at the time I guess.
>>
>>4790839
Ha
>>4790852
Yeah he was clean faced, which wasn’t very common.
>>4790984
While he could have potentially learned something, seeing so many different types of magic, it also could have gone very poorly. His magical senses aren’t ready for that sort of overload. He’s never been in an active magic warzone with both sides slinging spells left and right. Could have broken him further than he already is, and right now needs to focus on healing himself.
No. Those curses are stronger than you.
>>4791039
Facial hair has been a sign of manhood for most cultures. Expect in the west now, where it’s been coopted by onions manchildren who’ve never done hard work.
>>
>>4791189
Hey GD, fun hypothetical.
If you had the chance to go back before you posted the first thread, what would you have done differently in terms of writing, mechanics, choices given, etc...
>>
>>4792253
Honestly? I wouldn’t change a thing. Sure I wasn’t a great writer, hell I wouldn’t even call myself good back then. But I put my heart into it, and anons responded. And here we are, 3 years and 11 months later on episode 155. If I were to start a new quest I’d definitely have much better post structure and vocabulary, but that’s not necessarily about the quest itself and more me as an experienced, veteran writer.

Also intermission out hopefully later tonight!

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 155 Intermission-

AGE 763, BEERUS’ PLANET

“HRRRYAAAAAAA!!” you roar, launching off the ground at the blue-skinned alien before you. Closing the distance you fake a hard right punch, only to switch at the last second and turn it into a spinning back roundhouse with your right. Which he dodges, leaning back just enough for your foot to sail effortlessly past his nose. Which is what you target next, using that momentum to fuel a straight left punch. However Whis dodges that as well, stepping back with his left while keeping his right planted, turning counterclockwise around your fist. Then against all Su Ma teachings you stop your momentum immediately, and try to catch the smug bastard off-balance by then driving your left elbow towards his face. “HAAAAA!!”

Which he dodges, as well as the other thousand or so attacks you try over the next perhaps minute. But nothing you do connects, almost as if he knows what you’re going for the moment before you yourself do. But that doesn’t stop you, in fact you redouble your efforts. But to no avail. It’s clear that without transforming, you’ll never hit him. You are Meloka. Wife of Karn, Super Saiyan Goddess, wielder of divine power, mother of over a dozen children and currently you’re training on Beerus’s planet with the help of the angel Whis, Beerus’s attendant and teacher. Ever since you found the power of a Super Saiyan beyond that of a Super Saiyan God, the angel has been paying you special attention. Especially with your husband and Freeza working with the Destroyer himself as candidates to fulfill his position one day.

“That’s the wrong way to think about this, you know.” Whis says, unprompted. “You aren’t lacking in power, or speed. What is lacking, or rather what you’re doing that I’m not, is allowing your mind to get in the way.”
“The hell does that mean?” you ask, throwing a quick four left jabs for his face. Which he of course effortlessly dodges, leaning away from each one as he continues.
“When you attack, your mind is thinking of the action before performing it.” the angel says, leaning back past the right cross and then back stepping away from the follow-up from the same elbow. Your every movement is dictated by your mind, thoughts traveling down your nervous system into your limbs to get them to move. While your attacks are limited by your thoughts, you will never hit me. Like this.”

And to your surprise he turns, raises a finger and fires a beam of ki at your husband’s back!
>>
>>4793416
The beam is fast, so quick it’s already to his back before you can shout a warning. However, your husband seems almost unnaturally aware of it approaching. At the last second his body turns, the beam passing through where the back of his head was without so much as grazing him. Lord Freeza, however, doesn’t move so smoothly. He has an instant to process what’s happening before the beam smashes against his face, knocking the emperor and Destroyer candidate flipping backwards.

“FREEZA!?” Karn roars, instantly transforming into his giant, godhood-defying form. His hair becomes a flowing emerald mane, eyebrows disappearing and giving him a frightening visage as he turns his hate-filled glare towards you both. Is that how intimidating you used to look back when you stayed perpetually in Super Saiyan 3? But he then recognizes you, then Whis, and looks between you both confused. “What’s going on?”
“I would like to know this as well.” the now-Golden Freeza retorts, glaring from behind Karn’s hulking frame. And if you didn’t know the difference between your husband and Freeza’s power, him looking out from behind your husband almost like one of the shy kids would be hilarious. “Why did you think it pertinent to fire upon me?”

“To demonstrate a point.” Whis says, gesturing for the two of them to relax. Which your husband and Freeza both do, reverting to their base and fourth forms respectively while Freeza looks far more hesitant to do so. He’s clearly never liked the angel, and doesn’t hide his disdain. “Despite seeing the attack coming, you couldn’t process it and tell your body to respond fast enough to avoid it. Meanwhile, Karn was able to dodge it without even knowing that attack was coming. Thanks to his instinct, and attention being completely on sparring with you, his body was able to avoid that attack completely. This is the power of Ultra Instinct, the technique of angels like myself.”
“I cannot imagine that such a power would be commonplace.” Freeza says, gears clearly turning in his head. You also notice gears turning in your husband’s head, but since he’s not speaking you think he may be on a different track. Sometimes you just don’t know what’s going on inside his head. “One’s body reacting without the mind’s input? Doesn’t seem like such an impressive technique. After a point you will eventually lose concentration, and-guh?!”

“I think a practical demonstration is in order.” Whis says, pulling his hand from Freeza’s gut. You hadn’t even seen him move, passing both you and Karn to somehow land a blow on an unaware Freeza. “I think this will make explaining Ultra Instinct far easier. I want all three of you to come at me, in your current strongest forms.”
>>
>>4793420
“One at a time, or-?” your husband asks, the angel shaking his head as he sets his staff aside, it floating over well away from you all as he takes his rather unique stance. Arms up, hands open and body relaxed, he simply smirks and gestures for you all to come. “Heh. Alright, guess we’re doing this. You guys ready?”
“Of course.” Freeza says, again shifting to his Golden form in a flash of light. “Meloka?”
“HAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, body disappearing in a flash of azure light. Your divine ki mixes with that of your Super Saiyan as you transform, the light around you shattering to reveal your divine transformation. You have gone beyond a Super Saiyan God, taking it to the next level by ascending as if going Super Saiyan from it. But that’s a mouthful, and since the form turns your hair blue, you simply call it Super Saiyan Blue. “Ready!”

“You sure about this Whis?” your husband asks, taking his Berserker God form in an emerald flash. “I mean, short of Lord Beerus, we’re the strongest fighters in this universe.”
“I’m quite aware of your strengths. But this is about more than raw power.” Whis says, still having not moved. “Now, whenever you’re ready.”
“Shyaaaaa!” Freeza shouts, immediately raising his left hand and firing several Death Beams immediately as you and Karn launch yourselves forward. Whis effortlessly dodges Freeza’s opening burst, moving the absolute minimum distance to dodge each attack fired at his head and chest. Then your husband is there in the angel’s face, firing off two punches before you’d even closed the distance. Looks like he’s still ahead of you.
“HAAAAAAA!!” you roar, front flipping into an axe kick as Whis spins past Karn’s right fist. But he dodges you as well, ducking while spinning through you both and just avoiding getting hit. So you twist into a left turning kick, which if it hit would have landed at the base of his skull. He avoids this as well, leaning his head to the left just enough for your boot to sail harmlessly through the air. “Tsk!”

“Hrrrraaaaaaaa!!” Freeza bellows as he dashes in as well, the three of you all simultaneously attack the angel from different sides. For several minutes the three of you attack relentlessly: Karn’s heavy, body-shattering blows opposite Freeza’s while you flip and dance between and around them with Su Ma attacking Whis from unexpected angles. Yet surprisingly not a single one of anyone’s attacks lands. Either he simply narrowly avoids your strikes, or catches your hits with a single fingertip while constantly moving between the other attacks. Which is quickly angering Freeza, who after at least three minutes of continuous attacking shouts. “Damn you, hold still!!”

And it a fit of frustration Freeza let’s loose, firing a wide-angled wave of ki at all three of you.
>>
>>4793421
“BARRIER!!” you and your husband shout simultaneously, twin spheres of ki-deflecting energy appearing and overlapping a bit. Whis, however, doesn’t even react, disappearing from view as the wave consumes you and Karn. Thankfully your shields hold, and after a second or two the flash of energy ends. Only to reveal Whis behind Freeza, arm poised as if he delivered a chop, and the Emperor of the Universe’s Golden form melting away. You both watch, shocked, as Freeza is seemingly ko’d with a single blow.

“I was hoping to save this one for my rematch with Lord Beerus, but I guess it’s time.” your husband says, dropping his Barrier and relaxing his body by taking a deep breath.
“Wait, what?!” Beerus shouts, suddenly paying attention to what’s going on. “You’ve been preparing something in secret to fight me with?!”
“Oh, is that a hint of nervousness I hear in your voice, Lord Beerus?” Whis asks, everyone now looking at the Destroyer. “Are you afraid Karn may be close to surpassing you?”

“Hah, hardly! Like I’d even be worried about the three of them attacking me.” Beerus says arrogantly, crossing his arms and looking away, nose turned up. Then he turns back, glare focused on your husband. “Well then, let’s see this newfound power of yours.”

“HRRRRRYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” your husband roars, aura spiking out around him as you and your Barrier are blown away. You flip backwards several times before deactivating it, flipping to your hands and feet and sliding to a stop. You watch in awe as his power surges, aura growing higher and higher to match the growth in his power. Then everything around you begins changing. Reality around you begins to change, spheres of differing colors radiate out from your husband as his strength simply keeps climbing. And then all of a sudden it stops. His aura simply vanishes, disappearing as if it never was. But your husband is still there, and it’s clear he’s changed.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=6w1F4Mhhd6A

His hair has changed, from the vibrant emerald to a much cooler tone blue-green. Then when he opens his eyes, you see they’ve changed into that shade as well. But something’s far more different than a color swap. He’s calm, far too calm to still be in one of his Berserker forms. This is something new. And you can feel it in the air, a sudden tension as Whis stares unmoving at your husband. And for the first time in your life, you see the angel’s shoulders are suddenly tensed up, his expression deadly serious. Even Beerus seems shocked by this sudden development, nobody saying a word as angel and Saiyan stare each other down. The tension is hanging so thick in the air you could cut it with a Ki Blade, and wonder just what sort of power your husband has been hiding to fight Beerus? Well, you’re about to find out.

Huh. Age 763? Thats 14 years in the future. Interesting.

I see Whis is showing off his UI, and we have SSG Meloka, and Destroyer Candidtes Golden Freeza and Berserker God Karn, which is very interesting.

Whats MOST interesting though is that final form. Is that basically Karn going the Berserker God version of Blue? Or is that some bizzare mixture of UI and Berserker?

Just for the sake of anons being able to visualize the transformation lines better, I took the liberty of making an MS Paint chart for both normal Saiyans and Legendary Saiyans.

Seems like "Godhood-defying form" was just referring to Berserker 3.
GD has said before that Whis would be rightfully wary of Berserker God before.

Alright, how's this looking?
Also I looked on the pastebin. None of our children on Towa's side have managed to transform past the first Demon Saiyan transformation.
Is there something I'm missing there?
>>
>>4793772
It's not done yet.
It's missing the Magical Potential -> Mystic Essence Form branch.
Stand Potential -> Stand Ascension (With original DF, combining super saiyan with stand powers produced a visible stand with altered powers. And Caulifla's latest stint shows that saiyans are just...different, with their stands, when they get sufficiently pissed.)
Force Potential -> Sith Saiyan has yet to be seen. But damn if the yellow eyes on that bitch wouldn't be fuckin' cool.

In time, you will see that all things in their truest forms are saiyan exclusive
Ultra Instinct? Clearly intended for the heavily instinct-driven saiyans.
Kaioken? It breaks the body, perfect for getting stronger for saiyans. Even stacks with transformations or some shit.
Majinization? Clearly just a power boost for saiyans since the only saiyan we see it used on just nosells the mind control aspect of it.
I am very intelligent.

Karn wrecking the boy was a staple of earlier times. Wonder if he’s strong enough on his own to fight you by now?
>>
>>4794545
>Wonder if he’s strong enough on his own to fight you by now?
He might just have the edge in terms of raw power, but that's not really a deciding factor unless he can overwhelm us completely.
Does he know anything besides what little Gohan and his daddy bothered to teach him?
Does he have the drive to keep fighting long after a normal man would have died of exhaustion?
Does he have the instinct needed to go toe-to-toe with a born fighter and a trained killer?
If the answer to any of those questions is "No.", then he's fucked up shit creek without a paddle.

Less than 24 hours to go, and soon you’ll see just what “Final Judgement” really is.

You forget a very important difference between Karn and Trunks.
Karn has a stand.
Stands don't give a shit about your power level, especially DDF.
>>
>>4794708
He’s had god for awhile now, even back before Towa’s first place got wrecked.
However, there’s a LOT Trunks has to get over to best you. Most of it isn’t physical.
>>4794725
Stand doesn’t mean much, comparatively.

Technically Nefarious didn't survive any of those executions.

If I had to say one nice thing about him, he had more conviction in his works than most anybody we ever met, let alone fought and killed.
We should all hope to be so utterly committed to our own goals.

Speaking of being scared of the future, I think I understand why Whis is scared of us.
He's not scared of us being able to kill him, he's scared of us being strong enough to actually force him to do more than sit around and occasionally putz around the universe for shits and giggles.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After meeting one dragon and being sent back home only to slay another, Karn met with the newly-arrived King Cold who was there for the Covenant’s Stand-granting dagger Karn had recovered from Truth. Before Freeza’s father left Karn asked for King Cold to compare his power to that of Majin Buu, after discussing the wizard’s involvement. King Cold accepted, and feeling Karn’s greatly-increased power decided to raise his own and take his final form. Which nearly killed him, Caulifla’s Stand Triumph saving the old man from death. After thanking Caulifla profusely King Cold left, Karn invited Raven who’d aided in the battle to breakfast with his family. Then everyone went to train, Karn sparring with his younger children to prepare them for the future. After watching for a time Meloka decided to spar herself, and as we rejoin Karn Meloka has just released a new, terrifying attack.

“FINAL JUDGMENT!!” Meloka bellows, and the colossal ki ball hovering far overhead begins glowing brighter. Suddenly your instincts warn you that you’re in real danger, both bodies immediately flying towards each other. You hit yourself at speed, both bodies merging back into one the way it’s supposed to be. And not a moment too soon, as the enormous stockpile of energy begins unleashing it’s power. A single, incredibly-dense beam of ki is fired right down at you. It’s faster than you, in your Ascended Berserker form can react to, slamming into your entire body and near-instantly pinning you down to the ground.

“GAH?!” you exhale in pain, the weight of her attack crushing your entire body. You can’t breathe, the weight of all that ki pressing down in this singular spot called you. But you fight through the pain, focusing on your ki while hearing your bones creaking worryingly. If you can’t do something to get out of this, and soon, it could be over already.

But what do you do? What CAN you do?
>Try and create your Barrier, have it shield you and give you a moment or two to plan your next move
>Explosive Wave, try blasting this energy off of you long enough to escape this crushing force
>Scatter Beam at Meloka, try breaking her concentration to see if that gives you an opening to get out
>Try summoning Divine Dragon Force, and see if it’s body can shield you, at least partially

“Tch! HRRYAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, exploding with energy. Your ki blasts out of your body from all sides, forming a small sphere around you that blasts her heavy ki back. However, the very moment your Explosive Wave stops, her energy crashes back down onto you. “Gyaaa!?”
“You’re not going to escape this hun.” Meloka says via telepathy, your body smashing down deeper into the crater. “Just give up, and I’ll stop it.”

“C’mon Meloka, you know better than that.” you answer mentally, and again fire off an Explosive Wave with a roar. This time you pour a whole lot more energy into it, your Super Explosive Wave obliterating everything within a dozen yards or so of you. The moment it does you move, blasting away from Meloka to try and get some distance. However, the moment you move, the heavenly beam pursues you! “Wha-? SHIT!!”

You try dashing away, and changing directions immediately to throw off the beam, hoping it would follow your path and allow you to make some distance on it. However it seems to be locked onto your ki signature, cutting the corner you cut and instead following you. You see that tying to fly away is useless, despite moving at your full speed her Final Judgement’s heavenly beam is faster. You can’t avoid it for much longer! With no other options, you do what you always do when a dangerous energy attack is closing in on you.

“BARRIER!!” you roar, unleashing your own ki and forming it into the shimmering emerald dome around you. An instant later the golden sky beam smashes down onto your shield, with far more pressure than any energy attack to hit it before. The weight of that beam slams down onto you, dome quickly deforming around you. Her beam flattens out the side blocking the beam, it pressing down on the shield until your energy is pressing down on your chest. Your Barrier negates some of the immense pressure, but you’re once more pinned beneath the oppressive beam attack. Your Barrier is protecting you, but for how much longer?

What do you do now?
>Final Flash, try and beat her energy with your own
>Super Barrier, try and pour more and more energy into your shield until the beam isn’t crushing you anymore
>Instant Transmission to Meloka, grab her and see if Final Judgement will slam into her instead

“Dammit, gotta get out from under this!” you think to yourself, furiously trying to devise a plan. You can’t run from this beam of wrath( and with all that energy humming overhead there’s no way any attack quick enough could also overpower it. There’s only one thing to do, and you just hope you can pull it off. “Hope this works.”

Closing your eyes you focus, sensing out for the various ki signatures around you. Of course her Final Judgment is the first energy signature you feel, all that overwhelming power still bearing down on your shield. But after a second or two you feel Meloka’s comparatively-smaller signature near it, and lock onto it. Getting to her is the only way out of this, or at least you hope it’ll work. Now locked onto her ki you roar, redoubling your Barrier and blasting the beam back a bit. But only for an instant, your right hand going to your forehead as you drop the shield. And just before that beam smashes back down onto you, your Instant Transmission activates. One moment you’re under her laser about to be crushed again, and he next you’re floating in the air behind her.

“Huh-?” she starts, but before your wife can turn around you strike. Without hesitation you grab her in your arms, bear-hugging your wife’s back to your chest and locking her in place. “Gaa-?!”
“Gotcha.” you reply, switching your grab from a bear hug to a more full-nelson, locking her hands out away from you by holding her wrists between your biceps and forearms. While also pressing your chest forward and into her back, arching her so she can’t try flipping around to build any momentum while grabbing both her feet between your thighs too. With the power difference, and not using any lethal attacks to escape, she can’t move. “Let’s see how you like your own attack!”
“Dammit!” she snarls, squirming to try and escape your grip as the beam tears towards you both. But with her held higher up in the air that you are, facing the sky, she’ll take the brunt of the attack this time instead of you. It barrels towards the two of you, but right as it’s about to hit you both it stops. The beam suddenly ends, disappearing as if it never was. “You think that’s all my ultimate attack can do?”

Suddenly you look back up to the massive orb overhead, and although notice it’s far smaller than it was before you got hit, it’s still massive and not something you’d want to try and block. And in that split-second of pulling your attention away from Meloka, your instincts suddenly scream out in warning. Without thinking you let go of her, backing away instinctively. And that’s when you notice her entire back is suddenly covered in Ki Needles, each maybe the size of her fingers. As you process this she fires them all, dozens of razor-sharp blades flying forth to impale you.

Twisting clockwise back you avoid the spray of needles, Meloka immediately dashes away from you towards under the mass of her gigantic attack. Either trying to collect herself a few moments in the hopes you won’t pursue, or baiting you into chasing after her. Either way:

What do you do now?
>Rush after her and attack, don’t give her the time to go and re-activate it
>Gather your ki into a Super version of your Energy Javelin, launch it into her Final Judgement and try to detonate her entire energy stockpile
>Final Flash, try and blast it right out of New Salda’s atmosphere and off into space

Seeing that massive mass of energy overhead isn’t keeping you calm, in fact you feel it’s quite dangerous. So you’re gonna take care of it, and keep her from using that anymore. So you lift your right hand overhead, and begin gathering your ki. In a second you’ve formed a razor-tipped lance of ki, your Energy Javelin thrumming with power. But an attack like that won’t make a dent in her overwhelming attack’s power. You’re gonna need more. In fact, as you focus your ki and channel it into your javelin, you feel your attack’s energy surging higher and higher.

“HAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, your Energy Javelin’s size tripling as your attack gets more and more powerful. You then rear back, readying to toss it, when Meloka counters your attack. With a single finger she fires a Death Beam, pink energy piercing into your oversized spear. “Oh shi-!”

KABOOOOM

“GYAAAAAAAAHH!!” you cry out in pain as your Super Energy Javelin explodes right there in your hand. The tremendous blast of your attack literally blowing up in your face knocks you all the way down to the ground. Which you can only tell happened when your head slams against the ground, blinded by the brilliant flash. Ears ringing and skin burning, you stay down on the ground as you try and feel out your condition and see what kinda shape you’re in. The whole right side of your body feels burned, except you can’t feel your right hand at all. So you open your eyes against the pain, and look over to see if it’s even still there. Luckily it is, but it’s mangled and in pretty rough shape from that attack. A moment later Caulifla’s Triumph is there, her Stand crying it’s healing sapphire tears into your wounds. You feel that comforting rush of healing Stand power flow into your veins, healing your body from the beating your Super Energy Javelin did to you. “Thanks kiddo.”

“Woah! Momma beat Daddy!” Maz and Kayle say together, not completely in sync like Tatsu and Tomi do.
“You okay?” Caulifla asks, you nodding to her and ruffling her hair with your newly-healed hand. “I got so worried there for a second.”
“Your mother wouldn’t hurt me that badly.” you say, and for a second remember back to getting hit by her Bladestorm attack and shiver. Looking up you see her re-absorbing the remaining amount of that colossal power back into herself, her energy rising back up to it’s usual levels. That attack clearly takes a whole lot out of her.

After Meloka finally reclaims all the power she’d invested in her Final Judgement you all head back home for lunch. Silver’s meal is as excellent as usual, you all eating your fill over the course of the next half-hour. While eating you notice several new faces eating in the mess, who throw glances your way but don’t ever meet your gaze. Which doesn’t bother you, you’re used to people talking about you when you’re around. They don’t bother you, and once your meal is through head back out. After all, today’s training is just getting started.

Headed back you arrive to your designated, marked training area just as your students all show up, you get right back into your teaching groove. You and Meloka alternate your students between the gravity chambers, sparring with you or her, and sparring each other. Each time you spar with four of five of your students, just as you did with your kids, you remain in your Ascended Berserker form. Each time you put them against your full strength, forcing them to adapt to your power and try their best to stop you.

“What the. Hell?” Totoma asks, gasping for breath after you knocked her and the others in her group to the ground for maybe the dozenth time. “How the hell are we supposed to fight your full power?”
“This lesson is about how to go about fighting stronger opponents.” you tell her, as she and the others get up a bit wobbly. “Despite our training, and being Super Saiyans, you won’t always be the strongest person in a fight. You have to learn how to fight opponents stronger than you, and at least hold your own until help arrives.”
“And switch!” Meloka calls out, signaling for the group she’s sparring with to trade with those who’d been catching their breath.
“Not every fight is one you’ll be able to win.” you advise, offering her a hand up. “But you’d better make damn sure that you don’t lose.”

She takes your offered hand and then continues sparring, you and Meloka training them for at least three hours as well today before calling it an evening. They begin disbanding, slowly at first and talking amongst themselves in small groups until none are left. With training over you head back, eat, shower, and head off to bed. Another day done.

Your sleep is quite restful, body fully relaxing while you slumber. However when you awake, looking over towards the reflective surface of your storage see that during the night reverted back to your base form. Seems like mastering the Ascended form is going to be just as difficult as mastering the normal Berserker was. But as you lay there in bed you feel the call of nature, and decide to slip out and take care of that first. Using a gentle touch with telekinesis manage to sneak soundlessly from your bedroom, headed to the nearest bathroom to take care of business. And once that is, on your way out notice one of Chaya’s scouters, judging from the Dreadzone emblem emblazoned on it laying on the counter. So you pick it up, and turn it on on a whim to check your own strength.

46,650,000

“What the hell?” you mutter, curious what’s wrong with the damn thing. It couldn’t be right, your strength didn’t grow by around forty percent overnight. This scouter has to be busted. So you take it back off, leave it on the counter and start making your way back to your room. When your instincts begin warning you that you’re being watched. Stopping in the middle of the hall, naked, you don’t see anyone ahead of you, nor sense anything living near you. However the sensation of being watched persists. Someone, or something, is spying on you.

But what do you do about it?
>Call out that you know they’re there, try and get this person or people to reveal themselves without you searching

Seeing nor sensing anything, you close your eyes and once more open the mental link you share with the planet itself, New Salda.

“I need your help.” you think, New Salda immediately responding. You feel your planet’s energy, a small portion of the power of every single living being on the planet begin funneling into you up through your feet.
“OF COURSE, MY CHAMPION.” New Salda replies, telepathic voice booming in your head. “WHAT IS WRONG?”
“Something else is spying on me.” you answer, again focusing your ki sense. However, with New Salda’s aid, you can now sense the life force of every single living being on the planet. From the Saiyans and visitors on the surface, to the crab folk and the mindslayers in the sea, to trees, grass, and infinitesimally small sea life. You can sense them all.

However, there’s no one nearby. No living thing is within a dozen yards of you, Megumin and Tanya’s old rooms both empty. You’re alone. Or so you thought. Suddenly you feel an intense cold, eyes snapping open to see ice seemingly growing up your body to encase you. It’s happening so fast you almost can’t process it, and before you can say anything are completely encased in a block of ice!

“Target found, and restrained.” a metallic voice says from somewhere behind you, the sudden clanking of metal boots on metal floor audible through the ice. “Terminating.”
“Like hell.” you think, focus your energy a second, and transform. Shifting from your base Champion form to your Berserker body shatters the ice, it unable to withstand the sudden pressure from your body nearly doubling in size. You whirl around, seeing a metallic blue man wielding what looks like a double-edged sword made of solid ice in one hand. “Who the hell are you?”
“Target is free. Initiating combat.” the machine says, taking a fighting stance with it’s frosty blade. Looks like whatever this machine is, it clearly isn’t a living being. Looks like you’re in for a fight.

How do you handle this?
>Rush and attack, rip it apart with your bare hands
>Defend yourself, play it safe since you don’t know what all it’s capable of
>Revert back to just your Champion form and evade, dodge its attacks and hit it with your own melee strikes
>Grab the frosty machine, and immediately Instant Transmission it out in the sea by a Mindslayer then see what happens

“Combat? No tin man, let’s see how well you can swim!” you shout, taking your fighting stance. This seems to confuse the robot, it lowering it’s guard a bit and cocking it’s head.
“What?” it asks, you seeing it’s confusion and attacking. Before the machine is ready you rush in, grabbing it’s face with your left hand while bringing your right hand’s first two fingers up to your forehead. Focusing on your New Salda-enhanced ki sense, you find a trio of Mindslayers and decide they’re exactly where you want to go. So you lock onto them, and before the robot can attack you teleport both of you into the depths of the sea. One moment you and the robot are standing inside your ship, the next both of you are surrounded.

“Have fun.” you say, dashing down back away from the machine. Unfortunately you back into another of them, and as one the three Mindslayers unleash their mental screams.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=rHTinEcgLn0

“FUCK!” you shout. Or at least try to, your mind screaming in agony as the triple barrage of mental attacks beats around the inside of your skull. The mental attack beats you down, it taking several moments for you to shake off the effects. But when you’re finally over it and open your eyes, see a battle going on. One of the Mindslayers has the robot by its legs, shaking it viciously back and forth. Meanwhile it’s right arm has transformed into a buzzsaw, hacking away at it’s face and trying to force the creature to let it go. You see another one has already been killed, icicles sprouting out along the creature’s back and through it’s eyes. Meanwhile the third has torn the metal man’s left arm off and has it in it’s mouth, crunching down on it over and over again. Looks like that metal man is having a rough time with those creatures. So maybe it’s time you stepped into the fray?

Gathering your ki, you begin drifting forward towards this would-be assassin. Time to finish this hunk of scrap off!

Hey GD, how does the water effect our connection to New Salda and our Ki attacks?
>>

As powerful as it can be. Anything at surface level or below is a 100% connection to New Salda, unless there’s magical interference
>our Ki attacks?

>>
>>4797783
As you start approaching the metal man, it suddenly begins shining bright! After a second realize that it isn’t actually shining, but the robot is freezing the water! It’s ice powers immediately freeze the water touching itself, and quickly spreads out from it’s body. The one eating it’s legs is frozen instantly, the other gnawing on the severed arm caught a second later. Realizing what’s happening you dash back and away, watching the machine freezing more and more water. After a dozen seconds or so the iceberg’s expansion finally begins to slow down, the block now easily a hundred yards wide. Perhaps fighting an ice machine in the water wasn’t such a great idea after all?

As you ponder your choice, several cracks begin forming in the frozen block. The cracking reverberates oddly underwater, then the entire thing shatters. Ice chunks begin floating towards the surface, leaving the creator behind as it spots you from maybe fifty yards back.

“Target reacquired.” comes the distorted synthetic voice, the water making it sound far more sinister somehow. Or perhaps that’s the slashes and punctures from Mindslayers in it’s metal plating, the sparks dancing around where it’s left arm used to be, or just the way it doesn’t seem to care about any of that. This machine wants you dead. Which brings back some feelings of deja vu, been awhile since you’ve had to deal with any of Nefarious’s bullshit. From how your lungs feel you have maybe a minute at most before you need a breath. But can you beat this thing before you need to breathe?

How do you want to handle this?
>Rush in and tear it apart. If those Mindslayers can break it apart, so can you
>Scatter Beams, hit joints and critical areas on living beings to try and take this thing down quick as possible
>Keep your distance and try that Super Ki Javelin you tried against Meloka again. If it hits, it could destroy the whole thing in one shot

57/100, 42/100. Success and mystery, writing. Let’s see how it handles New Salda’s heat.
>>
>>4798400
Yeah, this thing’s ice is far too dangerous to contend with in the water. So you decide to melt this machine down. Dashing forward at it, the machine forms a much-larger ice blade than before in it’s right hand and tries swinging it for your head. But despite the water slowing the machine, your own movement is barely affected. So you duck the swing, grabbing it’s wrist with your right hand and the back of it’s head with your left.

“Alright scrap man, let’s see how you handle the heat!” you say through the bubbles, and dive. Dashing straight down you slam the machine’s face square into the sea floor. The rock crumples, you diving deeper and deeper down into the planet. It tries freezing you as you charge, both arms up to the elbow becoming encased in ice. Yet after a few seconds of using this would-be mechanical assassin as a battering ram you crash through, emerging from solid rock into an open chamber that you recognize. This is where you first met New Salda’s avatar. The heat skyrockets, ice flash-melting and turning to steam as the heat from molten rock slams into you like a physical object. “Welcome to the core of the planet.”

“Error. Exterior temperatures exceeding maximum tolerance.” comes the machine’s automated voice, and a cloud of steam envelops it. No doubt trying to coat itself in a layer of ice to protect it. But the heat down here is too much, even for you with your Champion form taking the edge off. “Internal temperatures reaching critical.”
“Let’s end this.” you say, spinning one, two, three times before pitching the machine down right at the lake of magma. A thruster of some sort activates on it’s hand along with several more on it’s back, slowing the machine’s decent. But you’re not letting it avoid this.So you drop as well, planting a double-footed kick to the chest with a “HAAAAA!!”

Metal crumples beneath your feet, your heavy kick sending the machine splashing down into the magma below. It flails for several seconds, trying to escape certain destruction but it is futile. The machine quickly disappears beneath the ‘waves’, the last thing you see before sinking is it’s remaining hand curled up mostly into a fist. This fight is over.

“Now that that’s over.” you say, bringing your right hand to your head and again using Instant Transmission. This time you teleport back to the ship, returning right back to your room.
“Karn?” Meloka asks, your wife whispering to you curiously. “Everything okay?”
cont
>>
>>4798568
“Yeah, just took care of another assassin.” you whisper back. “Apparently those Lin Kuei are sending icy robots now too.”
“Oh, okay.” she answers with an unconcerned yawn. And then the two of you start waking up the kids, and go on to start yet another day. Back into the usual rhythm you have to take the kids to train to Raven’s in the morning, then train the students in the afternoon. But what of your own training? You’re already chosen to dedicate your time to mastering your Ascended Berserker form, so you can’t really do any basic powerlevel training to get any results. But what will you do?

What will you dedicate your time to training?
>Defense, have Meloka attack you with her different techniques to build your defense and endurance
>Ki attacks, you need to make them all stronger, faster, and deadlier than ever
>Focus on suppressing your Ascended Berserker rage like Broly has been, see if that’ll help you attain mastery faster
>Work on your different techniques, make improvements to your attacks and possibly create new ones

And so your days continue. They begin with you waking up the kids, get them fed and over to the Guardian’s Island where you leave them in the care of Raven and the Teacher as you take a seat on the far side of the island, beside your adopted son Broly. You sit with your legs crossed, back straight and hands resting palm-up on your knees. You transform right alongside your son, the two of you sitting calmly side-by-side and working on suppressing your anger. Then after going back home for lunch you then spend the afternoon training your students, then head back home. You do this for several days, training yourself, your kids, and your students before the day you’ve been waiting for finally arrives.

“Hey Dad, Mom, today’s the day.” Chilli reaches out to you both telepathically. “Megumin and I both are really excited to show you what we’ve been working on, you both are still coming, right?”
“Of course.” you reply immediately. “We’re eating breakfast now, what time does it start?”
“Just a few hours from now, Yunyun’s gonna open a portal from
there to here in a bit.” he answers. “Hey, is Freeza there yet?”
“Not ye-“ you start, then suddenly sense him. You can feel the massive power of Freeza approaching the planet. “Well, there he is. Lord Freeza’s ki is approaching the planet now.”
“Great! I’ll let you know when she’s opening the portal!” Chilli replies excitedly, then ends the mental connection. You and your wife share a look, Meloka looking excitedly towards you. Today’s finally the day your oldest born son gets married.
“Something going on?” Broly asks seriously, looking between the two of you.
“Today’s the day.” she tells him excitedly. “Today Chilli’s getting married!”

Funny enough, it is something Toriyama related.
Chrono Trigger has a massive impact on me as a child.
The way I discovered it was through dicking around with SNES emulation.
I stumbled into the game with no expectations, and was then pleasantly surprised with outstanding visuals, solid character writing, and a soundtrack that was nothing but bangers front to back.
Kinda ruined me in a way, because I went back to stuff like Pokemon and wondered why the fuck those games can't at least be comparable in terms of quality.

It’s something I’ve noticed with Dragon Ball QM’s. SOM was underage when he started.

Bad grammar is not the same as fucking atrocious story ideas.

Bad grammar, poor paragraph structure, little initial plan where the story was headed, all I had was an idea and the “fuck it” attitude to start actually running. Seriously, did not expect my first quest to last more than maybe a dozen episodes when I started, not be ongoing four years later

Using my massive skills of deduction I noticed that you had penciled in on a day planner - something only schoolchildren and the elderly do - that you needed to get some baby aspirin and prune juice. -Saiyan Conqueror Quest 155 Epilogue-

AGE 749, CRIMSON DEMON VILLAGE

“That’s some fine work, Chilli.” Hiropon, Chief of the Crimson Demon village says as your spell ends and you sag visibly. Using so much of your crystal magic today has worn you out, but the preparations are basically complete. Most of the decorations have been done with your magical prowess: the chairs, dias, and archway behind it are all made of your magical crystals. “I look forward to tomorrow, and you finally becoming an official Crimson Demon as well.”

“I look forward to it.” you say, giving him a tired smile and a thumbs up. You are Chilli: the greatest Super Saiyan spell-slinger in the entire history of your people. For the past few weeks you’ve lived here in the Crimson Demon village, preparing for your marriage to your longtime friend and fellow archwizard Megumin. After winning over her father, Hyoizaburoo and facing him in a magical duel for his daughter’s hand, the entire village has been a buzz of activity. Apparently a wedding hasn’t happened in the past few years, and they whole village is coming to attend. Added that to your own rather large family, including those across time as well as Freeza, the Ginyu Force, and a few others, you’ve had to expand your original idea for the ceremony and nearly triple the number of seats. Which is fine with you, the more people witnessing this the better. Your sister always likes to hog the spotlight, but tomorrow it’s going to be about you and Megumin. Speaking of... “Hey, where’d Megumin go? She was just here with Soketto a minute ago?”

“They probably went off to talk about some girly stuff.” Shikobei says, the greatest fisherman of the Crimson Demons sitting in one of the newly-made crystal chairs beside you and offering you a small glass-bottled potion. “Here, drink this. It’ll restore your mana.”
“Oh, thank you.” you say, taking the offered drink and popping the cork. As soon as you do, the heat of it scorches your nose. Whatever this is, it isn’t a normal potion. “What is this?”
“It’s a drink to celebrate your wedding tomorrow.” Chakamiya, number one baker of the Crimson Demons says, you seeing a half-empty bottle in his own hand as he staggers a bit walking over to you both, cheeks rosier than normal. “C’mon, drink up! You too chief, Pucchin should be handling the bachelor party and setting up the summoning with that foreigner.”
“Really think that’s a wise thing to do?” the chief asks, a note of trepidation in his voice. “Hyoizaburoo already said-“
“C’mon chief, the kid’s gonna be married off tomorrow.” Chakamiya says, you wondering what exactly’s going on. “Better let him at least have some fun, and see what else is out there.”
>>
>>4806564
“Out where?” you ask him, curious. “You mean out beyond the empire? Or just out there on different parts of this planet?”
“Always forget you aren’t from around here.” Shikobei says with a laugh, taking another of the “potions” out and chugging it. “Aaaaah, that’s the stuff. C’mon Chilli, drink up!”
“Well, okay.” you say a bit nervously, bringing the drink up and taking a sip of it. And immediately your throat begins burning, like ingesting straight liquid fire! You gag on the drink, instinctively coughing at the sudden sensation. “Gaaah! What the hell is that?!”
“Firewater. Gives a man strength, boosts his confidence, and enhances his magical powers.” the fisherman says with a grin. “Now c’mon, we gotta get you to your bachelor party!”

“Bache-what?” you ask, confused as everyone starts leading you away from the ceremony site. Even Chief Hiropon comes, although he doesn’t seem nearly as excited as everyone else. Which seems odd to you, what could be so bad about a party? Shikobei and Chakamiya leading you to the Crimson Demon village’s foremost bakery. They lead you inside and down into a basement, where several other men are already waiting. Except, noticeably, Hyoizaburoo. However the other young man outsider is here, and he seems to be directing the others in preparing this space.

“No no, leave the immovable rod upright.” you see the foreigner say, as the older man tries moving it. “They’ll need it to- Oh hey. You guys’re already here.”
“We are, just finished with the preparations for tomorrow.” Hiropon says, squinting a bit as he glares at the outsider. Who doesn’t back down, instead looking over the summoning circle on the ground. “Is that-?”
“You bet.” the man says, drawing and flashing something that looks like several sheets of parchment from inside his tunic. “I know a couple of, let’s just say exotic girls who owe me a favor or two from over in Axel. They’ll be in charge of the entertainment, and make our Chilli here into a man before his big night. But first thing’s first, let’s break out the booze!”

A cheer goes up from most of the adults, you glancing around then turn to the chief confused. The hell kinda party needs to summon girls from the other city? But he merely crosses his arms and leans against the wall by the stairs, glaring at Kazuma who’s trying to get everyone excited. So you decide to just go with the flow, and see what happens next. If things get too uncomfortable, you can always just leave.
>>
>>4806567
“Hey, Chilli, the man of the hour!” Kazuma calls to you. “C’mere! Need your help with the summoning, then we’ll really get this party started!”
“My help?” you ask him, confused. “But I’ve never actually summoned anyone before.”
“Don’t worry about it, I just need to borrow some of your power.” he replies, waving the papers towards you again. “I already did all the paperwork we need. I’m just lacking the magical gas to get this summoning going.”
“Well, if you say so.” you say, approaching him cautiously. You aren’t exactly sure what it is about him, but you’ve never fully trusted this guy. His aura seems just slimy to you. He sets the three papers down beside each other, around the upright pole. He instructs you to channel just a bit of mana into each, which you do despite running low on power yourself. After pouring your magic into the trio you stand back, watching as they all begin glowing with strangely familiar power. When have you felt magic like this before?

“Well well, aren’t you a naughty boy? Calling in three of us at the same time.” a woman’s voice calls, you and the other Crimson Demons watching shocked as three women appear. Each one is scantily-dressed, bearing a striking resemblance to a certain someone you know. All three have long, pointed ears, but other than that look different. The first one has long pink hair, and the largest chest. Then there’s a small one, barely taller than you without wearing nothing up top and letting her blonde twin tails barely cover her chest. The third is between the other two in their physical aspects, short red hair and wearing nothing more than a small ‘u’ of cloth. They each stand like they know everyone’s looking at them, posing to accentuate their exposed bodies. “Oh? What’s this?”
“Ladies. Tonight we have a bachelor party to celebrate!” Kazuma says, gesturing to you and the Crimson Demon adults.
“Ohoho, a bachelor party?” the lead woman, pointy ears pointing out of her long pink hair as she runs her hands over her body. “So, which one of you is the lucky man about to tie the knot?”

“That’s our boy Chilled here.” Shikobei says, hands on your shoulders. “He’s the man of the hour.”
“Ara aara.” she says, sauntering over and looking you up and down. “Well now, aren’t you just a treat?”
“That’s who you remind me of!” you say, snapping your fingers as her mannerisms and laugh make everything just click in your mind. “You’re a demon, aren’t you? Like Towa.”

And as you drop ‘Auntie’ Towa’s name, all three of the demons freeze. The looks of pure shock and confusion on their faces show you that you’re clearly right, or they at least know her name and what rank in the Demon Realm she holds.
>>
>>4806575
“You-? Wha-? How do you know the princess?” the redheaded demon blurts out, taking a confused step back away as if afraid you’ll bite or something.
“Oh my. It seems you’re quite the special one, indeed.” the pink-haired demon says, taking yet another step forward. “Not many know the princess’s name, much less recognize us as demons at just a glance. Just for that, we’re going to do something special for you all tonight. Especially you. What did you say your name was again?”
“I didn’t.” you reply, then strike your pose and transform in a golden flash. “My name is Chilli. Super Saiyan, wielder of crystal and death magics, and greatest archmage amongst the Saiyan race!”

“Well now, little Saiyan, aren’t you far from home?” she says, the other two moving towards the rest of the adult crowd while she talks to you, trying a bit harder you think to make herself look appealing. “And have quite adopted the habits of these self-proclaimed demons.”
“I heard that!” Chief Hiropon shouts your way, the woman turning and giving him a smirk and a wink before continuing.
“So tell me, how is it that you know the princess?” she asks you. “Towa isn’t, ah, exactly known for her socializing.”
“She and my dad kinda have a thing.” you say, not sure if she’d actually be classified as a concubine, girlfriend, second wife, or something else entirely. “And my three half-siblings, that I know of.”
“Ooooh? Now this is certainly news to me.” she says with a smile, hovering in the air with her head in her hands, chest waving in your face with every breath. In the corner of your eye see Kazuma’s face glued to them, watching every sway as his cheeks redden. “Demon royalty mating with a mortal? So taboo. Just for that little bit of gossip to take home, you boys are getting a real show tonight.”

She then turns, inspects the immovable rod hovering in the air and smirks back at the two of you. Then she grabs it with her hands, pulling her lower body to it and holding the pole with only her legs as she leans backwards, upside down.

“S-Subarashi.” Kazuma says, the language unfamiliar to you but meaning clear as he sits down in one of the many chairs scattered about. Unsure what to do you copy him, sitting as well. Yet despite how clearly focused he is on the demoness’ dancing, suddenly he lays a hand on your shoulder. You turn, ready to ask him what he’s doing when he puts a finger to your lips, then taps the side of his head knowingly. You realize instantly what he wants, and realizing the entire thing he set up had to be for this talk, open a telepathic link directly to this guy’s mind.
>>
>>4806580
“Now that everyone is, *ahem*, distracted.” he thinks to you, even coughing aloud at that point for some reason. “We need to talk. But act like you’re taking in the show.”
“You arranged all this, just so we could talk?” you ask him, turning your face from him and to the demon. Who is now holding herself to the pole with only one leg wrapped around it, hands running over her body. “You know we could have just spoken telepathically at any time, right?”
“Yes, but actually no.” Kazuma replies, matter-of-factly. “I need to tell you something important, and I happen to know several of the Crimson Demons are mind readers. But this isn’t my first life.”

“Wait, what?” you ask, unable to resist the urge to turn and face him again. “You...You’re dead? Were dead, and resurrected?”
“Kinda, not exactly. It’s kind of a long story.” Kazuma replies, you turning back from him as he tells his story of the world he came from, and how he died saving a woman from being crushed. You try not not show it, but a landlocked vehicle ran over him? How weak is this guy? “But when I first saw you, I recognized your armor immediately. I read about the PTO back before I died.”
“Wait read?” you ask him. “So you came from the future too?”
“Not exactly the future, but a-wait. Too?” he asks, sensing his shock. “There have already been time travelers?! This early in the timeline?”
“Well, I met my sister from an alternate timeline where everything went wrong.” you answer. “Thanks to that damned kai and her attack dog Trunks. But yeah my sister showed up to help us out with the Time Patrol, and even got to show up for my parents’ wedding. And thanks to a little spell I’ve been cooking up, she, Towa, and my siblings will be visiting us here tomorrow. Only for an hour or so, but it’s better than nothing.”

“Towa will be here?” the demoness asks, also telepathically. You both start in surprise, as she smirks and continues speaking telepathically while still dancing. “Sorry, couldn’t help but overhear. We succubi can read others’ thoughts, and that’s how we can modify our bodies to better suit our, let’s say company’s tastes. And what interesting lives the two of you lead.”
“Yeah! You shake that!” you hear one of the drunk Crimson demons shouting, another whistling as the other two do their thing.
“Tell you what. Since tomorrow’s your big day, Chilli, I have a proposition for you.” she says, now aloud as she walks over and sits in your lap, legs draped across Kazuma as she puts her arms around your shoulders. “I know how much you’re suffering, and the burden you still carry. So, just for one night, let me ease your pain. Let me give you the most wonderful dreams, and give you real peace.”
>>
>>4806590
Now, if there’s one thing Auntie Towa warned you about dealing with others of her kind, it’s that they like to make deals. Deals that almost always screw over the mortals for some temporary, fleeting pleasure. And this is already starting to sound like one of those deals.

“For just a bit of your life force, I can make the nightmares go away.” she says aloud, you feeling your jaw drop a bit. “I can keep that clown at bay, and let you truly sleep peacefully. What do you say?”

A night without Carnival Forever? The monster haunting your every sleeping moment can be suppressed, or even overcome with the succubi’s power? As you try and process this revelation you feel the demon’s attention is now fully on you. In fact, more than just that, you also feel a magical pull from her eyes trying to draw yours in. Sensing this you close your eyes, and after a second or two manage to look away from her and the immense gravity-like pull of her look so you can think clearly. A night free of your tormentor sounds like a blessing in disguise, almost like having a dream come true. But something inside you warns you against this. Almost like it’s saying the first dream she’ll give will be the end of you. It will be free, but the next one will have a larger cost. And those costs will keep adding up, until one day she has you completely at her mercy.

“Sorry. But I have to pass.” you say, turning and looking her in the eyes before continuing to talk. “This burden is mine to bear, and I will overcome it. If I cannot even surpass this small hurdle on my own, what chance do I stand of one day ruling over all of time itself?”
“My my, aren’t you the ambitious one?” she asks, but judging from the grin she’s giving you as she stands back up it’s almost like you passed some sort of test. “Surpassing that old Kai herself? I’ve seen a lot of people with real impossible aspirations in my line of work, but kid, you’ve absolutely stolen that cake. However....For some reason I actually believe in you ki-Chilli. I think you may have what it takes.”

“Thanks.” you reply, then let out a yawn. Your exhaustion is starting to get to you. “Oh, sorry. What was your name again?”
“Kotono.” she replies, tapping her finger to her head with a wink. “That’s my name. You ever want to learn how to control your own dreams, you just reach out and let me know. It’ll be my pleasure teaching you.”
“I think I will.” you say, but before you can say anything else Kazuma interrupts.
“Hold on.” he says, and suddenly the mood between you shifts. He suddenly becomes more intense, and there is a sudden sense of urgency in his thoughts. “Before you go, we really need to talk.”
>>
>>4806595
“Yeah, of course.” you reply, wondering if others you know can move with the level of practice and technical skill this demon is. “What is it?”
Tomorrow. I need you to promise me something.” he continues, you feeling a surprising mix of nervousness and excitement from him. “I need you to promise me that, no matter what else happens, you’ll introduce me to Freeza before he can leave. The future of the entire universe could be at stake here.”
“If it’s that important, I’ll introduce you two myself.” you answer, but begin feeling a bit of worry. And doubt. Whatever it is, it can’t be that important. Can it? “But what’s the problem?”

“Not necessarily a problem, but I’m the solution. I can lead Freeza to what no one else in this universe can.” Kazuma replies, and seeing the expression on his face you begin to have doubts. It’s not the look of a benevolent man, but one who’s only looking out for himself. The same look you’ve seen Chaya’s so-called friend, that Tanya get on her face several times. Especially when she thinks no one is looking her way. “I know what his deepest desire is. And, most importantly, how to find it.”

“His deepest desire?” you ask, eyes narrowing as you turn towards him. “And how would you know what his desires are?”
“I read of his death, and what he died trying to achieve.” Kazuma answers, and despite his usual scummyness feel that this is absolute truth. “If you don’t want him to end up a half-man, half-metal being who suffers in constant pain until his death by a time traveler named Trunks, I need to meet him.”
“Trunks?!” you say aloud, and only when you notice both Kazuma and the demoness Kotono looking at you shocked do you realize you’d shouted and lept to your feet. Sitting back down you apologize, and let the sparking Ascended form drop away. “Sorry. That bastard is the one my dad warned me to attack on sight, and to not stop attacking until he’s in several dismembered pieces. You’re telling me he’s the one who somehow kills Freeza?”

“Exactly.” Kazuma replies seriously after several moments of silent thought. “I know how to stop this. But only I can lead him to what he needs to stop this fate. You get me to Freeza, and I’ll make sure Trunks never kills him.”

Despite your hesitations about his character, and his clear intentions of getting into Lord Freeza’s good graces, this absolute CANNOT be allowed to happen. Lord Freeza cannot be killed by that Time Patroller, no matter what. You won’t let that happen.

The desire to improve instead of fighting back like being mediocre was a good thing was also a tip off.
>>
>>4806624
Oh boy it is. It’s pretty clear what Kazuma’s angling for, or at least it should be to anyone who watched/read Konosuba. Ironically, the wild card here is Freeza. How will he take all this information. Kazuma thinks he knows, but we’ll see what happens. And, well small spoilers but that may be one of the least-interesting things that happen at the wedding/reception

Ha! Although, all things considered, Kazuma is more clever and a much better salesman than that. Just ask Vanir.

That’s more of the author as a person metric though. Do you take criticism well, or angrily lash out and take it as a personal attack? Same as with the old shopping cart theory. Two basic types of people.

Oh this is gunna be meeeeeeeeeeeeeessy. Demon Gossip is gunna spread that Karns fucked and repeatedly impregnated Dabura Sister *which he has, but not in this timeline, so wheeeew* which is gunna cause a shiiiiiiiiiit storm. I fully expect the Gates Of Hell to open on New Salda and Dabura to come roaring out wanting to know wheres the dead fucker who dared to imply his sister would sully himself with a mortal.

Nevermind what else may happen during the ceremony. I just know Karn is gunna be Maximum Mad that people are fucking with his boys Special Day and many things are going to die or wish they had.

We’ll see it, either when it happens or through an epilogue. Remember, Kazuma had only consumed dragonball up through GT and “Yo Son Goku and His Friends Return”, as on his earth he was isekai’d before Battle of Gods happened. So your Freeza(and if it happens Golden too) will be quite foreign to him.

It's a line from Doctor Who alluding to the famous TV soap EastEnders which is world-infamous for putting its cast through even more shit, misery and hell than usual every Christmas.
