This is a custom Madness combat alternate universe Setting I made a while back with some friends
Note this is my first time running a quest so expect complete lacks of many things important to good writing, but this is 4chan so whatever

>Its the year 57 since the Incident that created Nevada as it is
>Nevada has become walled off from the rest of the world to prevent expansion
>Since nevada couldnt expand outward it started expanding into a pocket dimension
>during those many years nevadan society in a constant state of war and madness has evolved into multiple leading factions that fight for control over the nevadan resources
>some are neutral, some are just plain assholes for no reason
>but we dont really care about them at the moment
>no we are here to follow the story of You or the character you will be taking control off
>SOMEWHERE IN NEVADA

So let us begin!
>name?
Stat points to disperse:60 (note having 0 in a stat just means no bonus)
Stats:
Strength- Self explanatory
Dexterity- Swingin, shootin and dodgin
Tactics- Every 10 points in this you get a free deffensive reroll only, the Tacs refresh after mission completion/character takes an actual rest
Endurance-Actual HP, Every point counts as health (might save from some melee but guns? Ahahahahah)
Charisma- Getting info, barterin and lying your way out of a bad situation is the game
Awareness- Thats some nice shootin reflexes there! Also Perception stat
Will- Your mind is a fortress, and if you had a way to channel that fortress you would squish your enemy

Start choices
> being brought to nevada in a building from nowhere is a somewhat common occurrence due to the anomalous bullshit that created it!
Pros
-overall normie
-get 10 extra stat points
Cons
-what are you, a normie pleb?
-no perks
Notes
-if you are choosing this start set the extra points into the stats (i will be taking the most supported stat variant of this vote)

>you dont really know how you got here or who you are, all you remember is being submerged in some liquid until a loud explosion happened and now youre in a big open grey place
Pros
-you get one mutation point from the getgo!
Cons
-you lack any memories of having a prior life
-mutations may have side effects
Notes
-upon choosing this start you will do a mutation vote later
-also you can have a test subject name if you want to

>Cont
>>
>>4874538
>You were called here, brought by the whispers of the Improbable, honestly you barely had any control over yourself till you got here and the whispering got quieter, you remember using some sort of book to get here
Pros
-you start with 5 extra points to will
-you get a weird book! (Start with artefact)
-get to pick what that book was actually about
Cons
-the whispers speak of other beings going after you, to prevent you from achieving your potential
-they also whisper of the others who will try to take the book from you in their curiosity and greed
-you give off an air of being an unhinged loon -5 charisma
Notes
-if voted there will be a book type vote

>youre a shit out of luck individual who had failed many things in life, and as if it couldnt get any worse you ended up in nevada after falling through an open manhole you didnt see
Pros
-hahahahahaha
Cons
-A -5 to all stats
-you are probably gonna die
Notes
-hard start choice

After this vote there will be a starting location vote
>>
Oh and another note
We are running Bo3 1d100s higher is better
I will sometimes roll for the enemy and their dice are lower is better for them to keep a sense of high dice being good for you

Pretty sure the creator said something to the effect of "There are no men. No women. No children. Only monsters"

Anyways I'm going to spit out my own thing because fuck you.

>>4874559
Wizard build? Nah.. not in a Madness quest

>>4874585
Mutant warrior, not bad. Seems a bit brutish with the str dex difference though

>>4874587
I like this one actually, being a totally bland normie thrust into the role of a madness combat protag is comical and I feel goes with the spirit of early madness

>>4874594
Seems interesting, I feel a little adverse to making Charisma a dump stat and being an "unhinged loon"

>>4874611
Nemesis mode activated! If we get a rocket launcher and minigun I'm on board

#2 Nemesis build, Subject #1-85-11
#3 Mad Sailor, Bryce Boatman

Oh wait didnt see this anon till it updated just now, you support the high strenght mutie build? If so ill lock stronk mutant route

#3: Normie.

Your name is Rich, you’ve lived quite an average life within the city that is your home, being a delivery man was a simple and paying job while living in an affordable apartment
you have just returned from working overtime to deliver some guy his latest PDA in the ass end of nowhere, after eating some leftovers you throw yourself into the soft embrace of your bed and drift off to sleep

thats strange, it seems you might have fallen off the bed because you can feel the cold hard ground below you
Opening your eyes you quickly spot the issue, your whole apartment is gone
Its straight up missing, replaced by some form of ruins in this dark grey wasteland with crimson red skies
Quickly pinching yourself to maybe wake up from this bad dream doesent help at all
Slow realization and dread begins to set on and soon panic begins to bubble up
WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU!

Choice time
>Start scouting out the ruins around you, maybe you can find someone or something to help you recognize where youre at
>Start yelling for help, anyone really, youre lost and have no idea where you are
>Find a place to hide to try and rationalize whats happening

Seeing as there is nothing to do besides outright panicking you decide that Scouting out where you are and possibly finding some help
Walking around whatever theres left of the long destroyed and broken down concrete walls that used to be a building you found nothing of note
you were about to give up while walking over a small pile of rubble until you heard a creaking noise below you, quickly digging up through the bricks and rocks you find a lockbox
and as if you couldnt be any more lucky it was so battered by the winds of time that you just needed to pry a bit to open it, inside you find a gun, you can really recognize what gun it is because you never really looked into them but a guns a gun
Furthermore there was enough ammo in the lockbox for 2 full magazines (you had to fill up the guns empty mag to see how much fits into a mag), though you only have one mag from just the gun itself

Gained:-Browning HP (you dont know that) and 26 pistol ammo

after that great find you continued to further scout out your environment, you cant really know where any directions are for the lack of a compass and any sun for a matter of fact but you do know there are about 3 directions to go

choices!
>The utterly messed up landscape with floating chunks of rock and islands in the distance, some voice in the back of your head keeps whispering about going there, that its safe there but your gut tells you that its a lie
>The opposite direction of the floaty rock area, the well more not fucked up landscape, might as well walk in a straight line until you run into something
>The mountain a bit of a different direction of the previous path seems like a good place to try and scout from, but climbing it might be somewhat difficult

While walking towards god knows where for an unreasonable amount of time, well its hard to perceive time when theres no sun in the sky
After some time walking you start seeing silhouettes in the distance, 2 of them to be exact, other people perhaps?
Upon getting closer your gut starts screaming at you that something is wrong, and when you got even closer you realized something is wrong
Its totally not the lack of flesh over their heads or the fact they are currently busy ripping apart some other persons corpse and dont seem to notice you
>ThisIsFine

Choices
>grab the gun and get ready to shoot them
>sneak around them to continue your one direction walk

Actually wouldn’t it be a 100 because of the +20, forgot to add it

>>4875075
Ah yes, though its still the same result actualy, the loot luck dice the d20 arent very nice though

Quickly pulling out the gun you slowly approach and set your aim for the closer of the two skeletal creatures
A single loud BANG echoes as the bullet goes straight through the first ones skull causing it to collapse lifeless on the floor
Without a beat the second one immediately stops what it was doing and charges towards you, one quick move and you fire 2 shots at it
One hits it in the chest and it doesn't even register being shot, the other bullet goes straight through one of the eye sockets killing it
Lost:-3 pistol bullets
Waiting a solid minute for your heart to stop beating like its going to explode you approach the butchered corpse looking to find anything of use but curse your luck as you find only 5 spare pistol bullets and… wait, canned meat! Some god damn food!

Gained:-5 pistol bullets and canned meat (soft heal item [+10], can only be used outside of combat to heal)

Stuffing the can into the lockbox with the rest of the bullets you continue on your stroll in this desolate wasteland while your mind tried to piece together what the hell is going on

You can't seem to catch a break as you run into more of these creatures wandering around, you have unfortunately run into a 5 skeleton group wandering, more unfortunate news, they are wandering towards the direction you exactly came from so you connect the dots on why they are here
They are somewhat spread out making it harder to bypass the group in this massive open wasteland
Lucky enough they haven't noticed you in the distance yet but they are approaching rather fast

Choice time
>get the gun in one hand and lockbox in the other, time to fight some more (prepare for dex+awe roll and possible strength dice too)
>try to somehow walk around the group without getting spotted (dex+awe stealth check with -15 maulus)

Well, I saw this while looking for some quest I was following, I was reading and liked all so far, the thing is that i surely remember the art style of this Quest from some animations I saw when I have like 5 or so, but I really have no idea what's this about

This is Madness Combat, an animated series made by Krinkels, The gist of it is our main protagonist Hank (an unstoppable murder machine) who literally has a whole organization to take him down, goes around and kill said organization. Madness ensues. Also if you’re wondering why the sky is black, that is because Hank killed the sun.

Lucky enough they were pretty slow so you reached the corpses with time to spare, quickly using the lockbox to bludgeon the more frontaly undamaged skull off the body, now the issue of wearing it would be a problem but ripping a piece of rags from the still mangled corpse of that poor soul to tie the mask on for more grip worked

Gained:-Skull mask [+8 Skeleton impersonation,+8 intimidation]

Now the real test began, fooling the group and bypasing them
As soon as they were within visible distance your heart started racing, but you manage to keep calm and slowly walk towards them
What you did may be stupid, idiotic or even MAD but hell if it didnt work so well
You passed right between them copying their bit hunched posture and not one batted an eye
As soon as you left viewing distance you continued speedwalking away lightly panic chuckling to yourself over how stupid that was

You return to your usual trek of wondering until you spot something, a road… an actual well maintained road with some form of half sci fi half post apocalyptic pylons following the road by its side, towards the left you can see a small city of some sort behind somewhat tall walls, to the right there's just more road

Choices
>Go towards the city, Civilization, OTHER PEOPLE at last!!
>go right, follow the road to… wherever
>go back? (Inadvisable)

First of all you take off the mask as not to risk getting shot in the face by mistake
Heading towards the city at a brisk pace you slowly notice things about it the closer you get, mainly the 4 story tall dark gray concrete walls surrounding the whole thing, the giant "Welcome to Cretin town where the meats the best", and the dozen or so guards armed with various rifles and shotguns standing at the big ass gates
One of them notices you and walks up to you Rifle at his side
Guard: "ID sir"
"What?"
Guard: "Your ID sir, cant let you in without it"
"But i dont have one!"
Guard: "Well you cant enter"
"SERIOUSLY! I wake up in the ass end middle of nowhere and have to fight of damned skeletons and at first sight of civilization i need a fucking ID!"
Guard: "OHHHHHH! Youre a fuckin newbie. OI Clarke we got a newbie!"
One of the guards in the distance who is probably Clarke responds
Clarke: "a newbie? From the north point road side? Well ain't that a rare sight, alright, come with me newbie, we will get you an id up and running for the network, just don't cause any trouble."
You oblige and follow him through a side door by the big gates

Honestly you weren't expecting shit to be like this, you were expecting a bustling city of many things happening when you entered but for the most part its been a calm walk to wherever you're going for an id, until you reached a very dilapidated looking police building, upon entering you see many different guards standing around the corridors mostly ignoring you besides an odd glance or two
After some time walking you finally reach the "Bosses" office, clarke knocks on the door five times with delays and someone on the other side answers
"Come in"
Clarke opens the door and you follow him through, inside is a very odd old man with a rugged beard and a heavily scarred face
The Boss: "Clarke, whos this lad?"
Clarke: "A newbie that came from North point road entrance, overheard him yelling about fighting skeletons so he probably got dropped somewhere close to the Improbable zone"
The Boss: "A newbie that actually survived fighting some skeletons close to the zone huh, now thats something, Whats your name lad?" he gives you a glance
"Names Rich, good meeting you sir?"
Brosco: "Oldscar Brosco, Boss of the Cretin Town Militia" he offers you a handshake and you oblige "So Rich, no last name?"
"Nope"
Brosco: "Strange, but thats besides the point, first we gotta get you your ID, we are gonna have to test your skills for us to gouge your ID tier"
"ID tier"
Brosco: "We are gonna go gouge your skills at the barracks, follow me"
You oblige

Hey! I really like it Qm, it's nice. Also, it's possible for us to paint someway the Skull and give it a better bonus for Intimidation? Something like pic related.

Yeah, I know, is not so scary but you understand my point

>>
>>4875716
Put some straps and padding in the inside of the skull for blunt protection, and bolting metal plates to the front for ballistics. Couple it with a helmet and we're good to go.
For extra intimidation we could get some red lenses to insert, or directional LED lights. Maybe some paint around the eyes too.
For the extra spoop factor.

After doing several Fitness Tests and Shooting tests with… a BB gun? “gotta not waste bullets on newbies” as Clarke Explained
When you finished the tests and Were given an ID [Level 2] Brosco gives you some advice
Brosco: “If you’re looking for money dont try looking for actual dollars and such, trade here in Nevada is bullets and ‘equal’ trade, there isn't much work to get Out here in cretin town and i suggest you avoid getting involved with any corporations like the ones who own Cretin town meat, best i can say newbie is either you join the Scavs who run around looting the ruins that pop up around the unstable parts of nevada or you could join the militia, always need some hands here with the bandit and mutie activity, but for now go familiarize yourself with the surroundings” then as an afterthought “and don't get stabbed newbie”

After some time looking around town you managed to familiarize where all the buildings of note are

Choices
>Skintoof’s Motel close to the center sounds like a nice place to take a break at
>The market right at town center is bustling with activity and merchants of many things, might go trade or see whats up for sale
>One of the CT militia outposts might need a helping hand
>theres a Scav Base at the south end of the city, see what this Looting buisness is about
>could always go exploring the slums for a idiot who wants to shank a guy with a gun… and metal box

Going to the scavs to see what they are about wins, writing, may have to move to phone soon because thunderstorm outside is getting close.
>>
Deciding that the Scavs sound like a nice place to start your career in this place you head to their Base
Upon arrival and showing your ID to the guards they let you in, at the counter sits a man in riot armor with SCAV written on it instead of POLICE
Scav: “hey, never saw your ugly mug around the place, newbie?” you nod ignoring the remark “alright, im guessing you came here to become a scav, well thats very easy just hand us your id and we will get you marked down as a scav, as in what we do, nevada is a fucked up place where the laws of physics and even biology don't apply so often times you get buildings of many kinds falling out of the sky full of all kinds of goodies to grab, thing is they usually aren't all freebie easy grabs and are filled with bandits, mutants, undeads and all sorts of nasty shit, thats why we scavs exist, theres a scav base in nearly every city just for the sole purpose of clearing and looting these places so the local military forces don't have to waste their manpower on possible death traps, anyways what is it, you in?”

>”yes” join the scavs, gain free cheap PDA for possible missions and communications in nevada
>”no, ill go check out the other places first” don't join scavs, choose another location to check out

I've decided to do slower posting for today until later so i can give a big session for the americans who missed yesterday, gonna pull a possible all nighter
>>
>>4876959
>”no, ill go check out the other places first” don't join scavs, choose another location to check out

We can literally do this without having to join them. Heck we can join the police or military and scavenge on the side, maybe cut a deal with a scav to help us pawn the shit.

>>
I guess >>4876964 is right, unless there's a law or something, we could go to some building that appears anywhere and take the goodies for ourselves, but stillthere could happen 2 things

1) We could be unprepared and encounter multiple enemies. Either bandits, muties or undead that we don't have equipment enought to deal with (at least some armor), or could be a death trap of some sort

2) We could have problems with the Scavs. Either we will have problem with them that goes from threats to actually getting shot at if they found us in some building that we're currently in
>>
>>4876964
>>4877059
youre thinking militaries work along the line of more lax mercinary groups, military forces are usualy strict and have you posted on guard duty for hours when nothing interesting is happening

Counting it all we got about 3 nos, to speed this up a bit ill work on all visits to get the general gist
>>
>>4877217
Well sorry anon who just poped up but you will get to choose after this update.
>>
Deciding to go against it for the time being you explain that you will be going to check out the other possible job prospects and you thank him for his time
"Well see you then newbie"

Well after a couple hours of checking out the other job prospects this is the information you got.

Softtoof's isn't a place for a job but he does offer acceptable shot time living spaces for people who generally have short stays in the town

The market seems like a nice place to sell any junk you don't need and there are a whole lot of weapons and parts merchants with a couple armor merchants here and there

The CT militia offer a simple job that starts off with being a guard and helping keep the peace in the city, but keeping the piece usually means getting into a possible shootout against gangers in the slums, though with more experience and time in the militia they offer higher ranks with better equipment and pay, while you were leaving you managed to overhear some rumors about the militia possibly getting a backer to form a full blown military force for the town

You already had the conversation with the scavs but basically they are the more adventurous and possibly suicidal types that go explore the anomalously delivered ruins around the wastes for goods and trinkets, they are also the most lax force letting you go equipped with whatever you want and let you travel from city to city, usually the ones that have a scav base but they would let you go on long trips to towns if theres something of value to loot over there

You also asked around for what CT meat offer, most mention janitorial jobs, minor sales jobs, the extremely rare CT hotdog stand merchant job offer, possibly be a guard assigned to one facility or get sent on some shady business and other corpo shenanigan rumors

Exploring the slums is self explanatory, you only go there if you're down on your luck or are looking for an excuse to kill some random thief

Choice time
>Join the Cretin town militia as a recruit
>Join the scavs as a newbie looter
>Become an employee of Cretin town Meat, or whichever corporation owns it
>go solo for some time, possibly start doing small mercenary business like guarding some individual for some time
>go to the Market with the meager resources you have
>Write-in ideas

Seeing scavenging as a good place to start, and the benefits of being a glorified looter/mercenary you return to the scav base and apply for being a scav
You were quickly handed a PDA and got your ID marked, following another scavs instructions you find the program/glorified app for all the anomalies within your vicinity and possible groups you can go with to loot said anomalies
Quickly scrolling through them

-a small truck suddenly burst out of the ground not too far from here, seems to have only attracted some random bandits

-a full on building of unknown origin fell out of the sky close to one of the roads, scouts reported inhuman screeching in there so they assume its a lab with a bunch of mutants inside of it, there is a group already being prepared to clear the place because having mutant hordes near important roads is bad for business

-An actual supply crate just parachuted out of midair a bit further south from the city towards the I zone, already has a small swarm of skeletons gathering around it

-a completely fucked up building was scouted dropping straight towards the I zone but fell somewhat close to the boarder, thing seems to have attracted a wild Class 1 mags attention and its decided to call it its home, take this at your own risk

Well thats quite some possible loot to get, and the fucks a mag? Like a living magazine or something else?

Quickly marking yourself as on that mission you head out of town
The trek was somewhat long but you reached your destination with no issue as in the distance you see the very large crate covered by parachutes surrounded by you assume 12-15 skeletons

Deciding to Attempt the same thing before with the skeletons you just walk through the horde keeping your cool the entire time until you reach the supply crate and ohhh its filled with some good stuff
you found like 8 cans of beans, 2 whole boxes of pistol ammo and a bulletproof vest… well one of the low end police ones that could stop a couple pistol bullets
But the best prize resided on the side end of the crate, a double fucking barreled shotgun with 10 shells that read SLUG on the side!
You nearly yelled in happiness but remembering where you were at the moment quelled that urge immediately
Quickly taking everything you found from the crate and slowly leaving not to alert the skeletons
Gained:
-8 Cans of beans [+8] softheal
-60 pistol ammo
-Police vest
-Swens DB shotgun
-10 shotgun slugs
Upon returning back to Town you head immediately back to scav base
Scav worker: “wait wait wait, you're telling me! That a Newbie like you! Went to loot something surrounded by 13 skeletonsUNDEREQUIPED AND ALONE”
“yes?”
Scav worker: “HOW!?”
“i snuck past them”
scav worker: “Whu- but-EH!” he pauses for a solid 10 seconds to breathe in and out “Forget it, just as per scav contract we get to take half the food supplies and a tenth of the munitions found, also as per contract you have dibs on any single weapon found during the scavenge run”
Lost:
-6 pistol ammo
-1 slug
-4 cans of beans

You leave without any further distractions, though while you did a couple of the other scavs gave you strange looks

Taking a breath of the dry dead air you feel proud of yourself and what you’ve done

Truck mission and calling for help to clear out the bandits wins
writing
>>
Deciding to go on another run you think about the fact you would be fighting bandits and this time decide to use the apps chat function for newbies calling if they want to group up to clear the bandits
You get 2 pings, both are newbies, Tom Schmerda and Sharpshot Harry
You meet up at the west city gate, Tom looks completely normal wearing what seems to be a leather shirt with metal plates bolted on it and an outdated army helmet armed with what seems to be a weird smg (American mass production grease gun) , Harry on the other hand Looks dressed up for a cowboy cosplay, cowboy hat, leather duster and a Bolt action rifle with no scope (1917 springfield)
After exchanging some greetings and agreeing on an even split of most of the loot you head out towards your destination
It was surprisingly a 20 minute walk to it but when you reached it the truck was in an open field covered in large rocks from here to there
Harry immediately counted 7 bandits, 4 with small arms and one with a shotgun, the rest were armed with melee weaponry

Plan time
QM suggestions
>Have harry provide sniper fire while you and tom close in to engage in close combat
>split up to surround them then go for an attack

Lure skeletons to the bandits. We Skeletor now.
Rattle em boys!
>>
>>4878179
That is currently impossible because the skeletons are a 3 hour walk from where you are and your current party members are not waiting while the bandits steal the loot

Tom and us we're going to hide behind something, while Harry, taking cover will start shooting with his rifle. Once the bandits with melee weapons are in the perfect distance for Tom and I to shoot we quit hiding and make holes in them (It should be a distance that make them think in between "We are close enough for beat the shit out of them" and "We are far enough to run back and take cover")

We surely are going to take down a douple of the melee bandits easily before either they retreat or short distances between us. Once us and Tom reveal ourselves then we engage normal combat. And of course, we need to dress our skeleton mask, so if there's a change, we make an intimidation check and see if we make them flee our give them a malus or whatever the QM see it fits

Mag is slang for big guys, they are like boss enemies. And if you wanna know what's a skeleton, you have to look inside you...
>>

So a Mag is one of those big guys that typically wear a suit? Sometimes a face mask, or spikes through their heads? Maybe claws too? Man it would be cool to be a mag.

Mag basicaly is short for MAGnified which is fitting for this species of somewhat stable mutants in nevada and their size varies so they need classifications, a class 1 is close to a Go3lm in size while a class 10 is gestalt size (you can look up madness project nexus wiki to find info on them)
And for scav friends, they arent permanent party members but may re-apear later in the story or you try to convince them to follow you on your very dangerous escapades.
>>4878638
Well if youre lucky with a anomalous delivered building or find enough stable mutagen to direct yourself towards becoming a natural mag
Though this may lock you out of other character upgrade lines like ATP enhancements (mustard bloods from the series), because last time someone tried to enhance a class 3 mag that was the only time someone actualy used a nuke in nevada
though you may be a special case with the bullshit rolls you could get
>>4878647
>>4878756
Well being big is sometimes has its problems
Good luck fiting through non modified doors and paying for repairs of doors you tried to fit through
>>4878776
That may happen in some city regions that dont like mutants very much but there are some actual smaller MAG scavs out there who help carry massive quantities of loot and basicaly live like kings for it

After some brief discussion you decide to surround them and then open fire so they can't take cover behind the truck
After everyone got into position you opened fire, it was sorta a one sided slaughter, within the first few seconds harry domed the one with a shotgun, you straight up decapitated one of the other bandits with a headshot, and tom… tom missed several shots even with the slow firerate of the smg and for his trouble got in the chest
-simple metal plate armor Absorbed 6 damage, 2 more damage absorption left

But overall the rest of the bandits didn't get a chance after the first volley, harry headshot 2 more bandits, you blew a hole through another and tom managed to gun down the melee ones that tried to rush him

Lost:-2 slugs

After the battle finished and harry making sure to stab every corpse through the head just as a precaution you started looting their corpses, the only one with armor was the shotgun guy but he didn't have anything to protect his head, collecting the rest of their loot got you a neat pile of weaponry that you now have to split between the three of you

-47 pistol ammo
-6 buckshot shells
-7 ration bars [+5 hp] (softheal)
-a makeshift pump action shotgun (3 shot shotgun that may explode upon critfail)
-2 scrap revolvers (5 shot revolver that may explode on critfail, harry called dibs on one of these)
-2 pistols you don't recognize but are actual pistols

After you were done splitting the bandit loot you start digging through the back of the truck to find whats inside, now you have to split up this loot too

-3 data boxes with N.E.R.D. written on it with different number codes on them
-3 small reinforced containers holding… something, they all have matching codes with some cubes

Tom whistled to himself upon seeing the find and begins pondering something

>split the loot equally upon the three of you
>ask what nerd means
>just stay silent while working on spliting the loot
>write-in conversation or action stuff

Note you can pick multiple choices in interactions
>>
>>4878834
>split the loot equally upon the three of you
>ask what nerd means
>write-in conversation or action stuff
Check the glove compartment for the keys, see if we can drive back to base, and keep most of the loot if we hand over the truck which would be a boon for the base since I don't think they have many vehicles.
>>
>>4878834
>Stay quiet when splitting the loot
>Split even, but offer any scrap guns to the other blokes since there's not enough for three
Just observe and see what they do with the cubes first. They might have more experience with those. In addition, rather not rely on scrap guns so much.
>>
>>4878865
Why would they even want the scrap guns? Maybe they have a boon where the gun doesn't go kaboom when it fails.
>>
>>4878867
Hm. Maybe scratch that part about scrap, we could tinker with them or something later.
>>

Quickly checking the front of the truck you deduce its inoperable with the amount of holes in the drivers window and the engine
Being confused on why the boxes had NERD on it you ask what does it mean
Tom: “N.E.R.D. Stands for Nevadan Experimental Research Division, they control the east city group of nevada and are equipped with the most advanced gadgets in the whole wasteland”

deciding to split both the piles equally you take

gained:
-12 pistol ammo
-2 buckshot shells
-3 ration bars
-1 pistol

from the bandit pile while tom surprisingly decides he is rather gonna take more from the bandit pile than touch the Nerd stuff
Tom: “shits more trouble than its worth for me
Harry sorta agrees with him and only takes one Databox with a container that shared the ID

Gained:
-2 N.E.R.D. Databoxes and their respecting containers

after that you head back to base without a hitch
Upon return and giving more than half your ration bars, 1 bullet and a slug to the Scav worker
Lost:
-2 ration bars
-1 pistol bullet

then he stares worryingly at the 4 Nerd related things you're carrying
“Uhhhh, so are you willing to turn in the N.E.R.D. loot for the DATA recovery Bounties or are you keeping them for your own curiosity sake?”

>”Sure!” Turn in both pairs for 10 CT canned meats and 40 bullets (or 20 shotgun shell types of your choosing, note 2 pistol bullets are worth 1 shotgun shells in the recovery payment)
>”Ehh okay but i'm keeping one pair” Get half the above option (note which ammo you want, choose which to keep, 75744 pair or 88299 pair)
>”nah i wanna see whats inside!” keep the nerd boxes

When thats Over and done with you head out into town slightly tired but still energetic enough for maybe one more mission
>Go to Softtoof’s Motel to take a rest (-8 pistol bullets, refresh easy clearing missions)
>Do another run! Pick one of the last 2 mission options!
>go to the market!

>>
>>4878947

Nope they are locked, probably related to the data cubes
And the numbers, you cant really indetify anything about them but there are single icons under the numbers, 75744 has a injection needle mark while 88299 has Heart icon on it
>>
>>4878943
>”Ehh okay but i'm keeping one pair” Get half the above option (note which ammo you want, choose which to keep, 75744 pair or 88299 pair)

The one with the heart I guess.

>Do another run! Pick one of the last 2 mission options!

Can we get a visual or description of what the town or surrounding area looks like?
>>
>>4878983
the surrounding area of what
Cretin town? well its basicaly a walled up city in the middle of a giant open field with hills and small mountains here and there
For the other objectives, the mutie lab building is close to one of the main trade route roads towards the northeast while the mag den is closer to the Improbable zone, which looks like an unstable mess of floating rocks with some buildings here and there
>>

You quickly head out to east gate after you noticed the lab raid team will be departing on the mission soon
Upon reaching the group you notice their setup, 4 guys in Some of that metal reinforced leather armor but with no helmets and some guy spec'd in the SCAV riot gear, the other grunts just have ranging rifles, you can actually recognize 2 of them as AK-47s, and the leader has a mag fed shotgun? (DBV 12)
He quickly introduces himself as Ripper (don't know why he is called that) and he is the current raid teams leader and he is here to make sure you and the rest of the grunts don't end up being mutie food
Upon reaching the building within a short notice you notice one problem, its bigger than you actually expected, 2 story tall and is extremely wide
Ripper explains how we are going to clear at least some of the lower floor just to get a clear line of whats inside, mutants and loot respectively, though more point was made on slaughtering mutants to thin their numbers just to make their presence less of a threat to the passing traders so you are getting paid for every mutant killed in 3 pistol ammo worth per mutie
He made very clear instructions, you stay in a group and clear room by room, you stay in the back of the group with another grunt with an AK to guard their backs while he and the other 3 clear out ahead of you

you loaded in that one buckshot and a slug together just because this is gonna be close quarters combat and have your pistol at your side (+5 to rich roll for proper munition in engagement)

The clearing went very smoothly
Ripper walked in with the 3 other grunts and they gunned down anything with a pulse without a hitch
some tried to ambush you from behind but buckshot and slugs combined with AK fire is one hell of a combo for ripping something apart at point blank
Let me tell you, mutants are seriously ugly things when up close
After 20 minutes of entering and clearing rooms your group managed to clear all the bottom floors, while the grunts were celebrating Ripper was in deep thought rambling to himself while looking around counting the dead and stabbing any still twitching corpses on the floor
After giving you the all clear you quickly gather at the stairs
Ripper: “since this went so smoothly how about we head out to the upper floor and clear it too, from what i count we seem to have cleared most of them down here with the comotion attracting more from upstairs, shouldn't be an issue”

You again group up like before and head upstairs

10 seconds into the upper floor and shit already hits the fan when Ripper screams "GHOUL!" At the top of his lungs starts firing his shotgun full auto at the bloated monstrosity ahead of your group
Took the entire front group a second to realize what is going on before they started to open fire on the bloody thing
But that thing was faster than it looked like and immediately impaled one poor grunt right through the head before smacking another one to the side
You would have started panicking but your fight or flight response screamed "SHOOT IT" at you, so you did
Two well placed shots and the thing looses an entire arm and its tail, making it very angry and charge at you
But that gave ripper just enough of an angle to unload a full burst of modified slugs right into its side
It screeched in pain still rushing at you, but you quickly jumped out of the way
It didn't stop, it couldn't stop, so it ended up smashing it oversized skull into the concrete wall with a meaty crunch

>>
>>4879363
forgot the damned image again, i am retarded
Taking a moment to breathe and regroup Ripper started counting losses, he quickly walked past the grunt who got impaled and towards the one that got launched across the room, after a quick examination he says that hes dead, broken neck, back of head open, must have hit the wall full force
After finishing the rest of the clear with no other mutants trying to attack you, Ripper claims you managed to do a full clear and to start looting!
While everyone looted their own things, Ripper just waited in the background and when asked mentioned he is just getting paid to wrangle you while also clearing a threat, he doesn't have much interest over the loot
You grab whatever you can and man did your inner magpie shine
You found 8 shotgun slugs and 3 buckshot next to a very old skeletal corpse of some poor guard, his broken in half shotgun beside him, 2 boxes of old paper that you can barely read but Ripper told you to put it in a metal box he brought because that stuff falls under junk the nerds want to get their hands on, a can of beans and a small container with 2 small needles with a crimson/gold swerving liquid inside of them, upon asking Ripper just Chuckled and said that you're holding pure stable mutagen there
Anyways great finds
Gained:
-1 Canned beans
-8 slugs
-3 buckshot
-2 Boxes of aged research papers (Data recovery bounties, immediate sell on return, pick a munition type you want)
-2 injections of Pure stable mutagen (Rich doesn't know what they do but you anons probably have a clue, these also fall under Data recovery bounties if you want to sell them)
You also begin counting what you lost during the whole mission
Lost:
-buckshot
-6 slugs

Upon return mission pay
Your kills:
-5 regular mutants- 15 pistol bullet worth payment
-Ripper noted assist on disabling Ghoul- 10 pistol worth
(Pick munition payment, note very specialized shotgun munitions may cost more or less based on how special it is)

Taking a breather outside before the party goes, Ripper takes his time to burry the 2 dead grunts, the other 2 living ones chatting about good finds and you pondering what to do with the mutagen
>keep it for the time being
>inject it (how many, note you will do this at the motel in a room with more privacy)

-can of beans

Though quickly you handed a clerk the w boxes of old research papers and after half an hour of them checking if they are legit you get your bounty awards

After that you go to Softtoof's to pay for a night of sleep in one room
Lost:

>enhanced biostructure:-you grow a bit taller and stronger- gain +5 base str and +1 to intimidation
>A tingling feeling:-your mind is constantly on edge for any daring ambushers-gain +4 awe
>Slightly sharper nails:-gain +2 to unarmed melee rolls

Note some of these mutations may get upgrade options later on

Quickly waking up with a jolt of pain you quickly look around as if it were all a bad dream
Nope still in the Softtoof motel room in all its acceptable quality
Quickly checking yourself you discover what the mutagen has done, there is a somewhat thin layer of bone armor nearly all over your body, well mainly torso down, it didn't seem to grow anywhere near the head or over any joints, does make a nice clack sound when clap your hands though
Theres also another feeling, like a gut instinct but for the brain telling you if something is wrong
Gained mutations:
>Skeletal carapace:-thin bone portrussions form around your skin creating a carapace of pure bone armor, thin enough to not be a bother when putting on clothes-gain 20 endurance/permanent HP
>A tingling feeling:-your mind is constantly on edge for any daring ambushers-gain +4 awe

Quickly getting dressed in your police vest and keeping the skeleton mask in storage for the time being you leave Softtoof's and head out into town, but first you check your pda and huh the Mag building is still there but theres also a couple new ones
New scav missions:
-a small apartment sized building fell from the sky and completely got destroyed upon landing towards the south-east, seems to have attracted some Zombies
-there seems to be a horde of skeletons maneuvering around the I zone border, scout counted about 40 but there could be more, tagged as possible threat that may need clearing soon
-a bunch of lockers rained down from the sky north of the city, a small group of zombies has decided to converge there
-a destroyed convoy suddenly pupped out of thin air a bit further east from the city
Old missions that stayed:
-the mag is still residing in that building that dropped close to the I zone, seems to have attracted a small group of mutants to it too, possibly marked as a building up threat for later clearing

After checking all the listed missions you check your options
>Do a run! (Pick mission)
>Go to the market, maybe pick up some materials for sale
>Try to hack the NERD databoxes yourself using the scav pda

As anon said
You were basicaly the back guard with your shotgun and another AK grunt
You rolled really well during the first clearing dice that you didnt waste any ammo and killed 5 normal muties (the 1 buckshot and 4 slugs), then you used up the 2 shots of your Double barreled shotgun to blow some apendages off a ghoul (also due to very good rolls with bonuses saving your arses)

Rolled 26, 66 = 92 (2d100)

Also heres update

Finally believing you have enough capital to actually buy things at the market you go do some shopping
After checking out the many salesmen you narrowed down a couple
Some guy who is buying guns of any kind for various prices based on quality
-Browning HP- 30 pistol bullets
-Beretta 92- 40 pistol bullets
-swens DB- 60 shotgun shells for the things pristine quality itself
There don't seem to be any gun salesmen up at the moment
Theres a guy selling various materials like:
-1 leather piece-10 pistol bullets [9 in stock]
-1 metal sheet-15 pistol bullets [5 in stock]
-1 piece of wood-12 pistol bullets [2 in stock]
And last but not least theres just some guy buying food
-1 bean can-8 pistol bullets
-1 CT canned meat- 10 pistol bullets
-1 ration bar- 2 bullets

Write-in time
>make a list of what you're buying and selling, compile how much bullets is either gained or lost
Currently you have:91 pistol ammo, 28 slugs and 21 buckshot

Note here are simple bullet trade values
-pistol bullets count as a base worth since they are the most common
-smg bullets are equal to pistol bullets just due to being very similar
-shotgun and rifle bullets are worth 2 pistol bullets
-Machine gun bullets are worth 4 pistol bullets
-things like autocannon shells usually cost like 10-20 bullets here and there
-tank shells and rockets vary from 100-300 bullet worth

Anyways since you also agreed to do slum exploration ill roll some dice just ahead to prepare the encounter while you discuss your shopping list
>>

Trade our double barrel for instore credit, and purchase the swens DB

What can we do with materials, and what does the swens DB look like?

After doing some trading you come out with a somewhat decent haul
Lost:
-browning HP
-10 CT canned meat
Gained:
-2 pieces of wood
-3 leather pieces
-3 metal sheets
-12 pistol bullets

After everything is said and done you decide to start modifying that skull mask of yours, first of all you start adding some sheet metal to the inside and pad it with some leather so you don't have metal pushing against your face, overall good upgrade, plus the bolts you had to add on the outer side make the mask look even more intimidating
Mask upgraded:
-new stats:+8 to skeleton impersonation,+12 to intimidation, 8 armor HP
Lost:
-1 leather piece
-1 metal sheet

After thats all done you head out into the slums for a short stroll looking for idiots
Soon enough you find a soul dumb enough to mess with you, some guy with a machete and a ridiculous haircut that makes no sense aproached you
Thug: "Hey mister Showoff, your shit, hand i-" he didn't see the boney punch from a mile away sending him to the floor
Before he can even respond you start beating further shit out of him until he stops trying to get up
Then you swiftly go through his garbage for any valuables and also take the machete
Gained:
-machete (+5 to melee rolls)
-7 pistol bullets

After returning closer to the main streets from your stroll you quickly start pondering what to do
>Go on a run! (Pick mission)
>Go to the market again
>Take a break at Softtoof's (-6 bullets)

I don't mind, part of the reason I deliberately avoided going on the mag mission, but also those guys take a shitton of ammo to bring down even on easy mode, like more ammo than we have several times over, plus a dude going off on their own to live in the middle of nowhere tends to mean they went their own way or something.

I want to see if we can remove the spikes from the face if it has any.

The MAG mission from before is up, from what you've heard they are basically close to natural giants here in nevada, the one at the building was specified as a class 1 which meant it was 2 grunts tall at best
With that information out of the way you grab your stuff and head out south-east towards the I zone
It took an hour of walking to reach it but the building was definitely there, in all its slowly crumbling to pieces glory
Quickly checking the surroundings for anymore threats and confirming nothing is approaching you head towards the building with intent on trying to communicate with the giant

You approach the building at a somewhat quick pace and reach the entryway, seems the MAG tore the door off and made the hole larger just to fit through
Having a very dumb idea you politely knock on the wall, your bony hand making loud clacking noises as you do so
At first theres no response but then extremely heavy footsteps start approaching the entrance and you're met by a fellow twice your size looking down at you with a mix of aggravation and confusion on his face
MAG: "You aren't a Bonehead… Who are you?"
"Im Rich"
MAG: "i do not care if you are wealthy i asked for your name"
"That… is my name"
MAG: "oh"
"Anyways who might you be, you very large fellow"
Bigs: "Im Bigs, thats what the others here call me"
"Others?" OH the mutants the scouts spotted moving into the place
Bigs: "Yes there are others with me, now state why you are here"
"Well this place was registered as a bounty for scavs" his face turned to a scowl at that "and they were planning on clearing it later but i thought 'hey why don't i ask whats going on here'?"
Now he is just staring at you dumbfounded by the simplicity of the awnser
Bigs: "You came here to talk?" You nod making him go silent for a solid minute before he continued "Im here because i was looking for a home since my old place was starting to break down"
"And what of the others you mentioned?"
Bigs: "They are mutants like me who were looking for a home, this building had enough food and provided good shelter for us… thank you for not attacking us, already had to deal with the boneheads trying to kill us"
"Ah, well from the looks of it you guys are looking for an actual home, i might try talking with Cretin to-" you are cut off
Bigs: "no, we will not fit with the normals cities, we wish to just stay here in our current home"
"All right but ill at least tell the guys at base you're not a threat"
Bigs: "... Thank you"
"Though may i ask if you have any non food related things in there that i can take to base just to disinterest any other scavs by telling them i looted the place?"
Bigs: "hmmmm, well theres a gun i cant use and some box the others called a server that still works"
Taking the mentioned loot you say your goodbye to the mag and leave
Gained:
-MP5 smg
-A intact research server (the data reclamation bounty pays 3 times for any high tier recoveries like intact servers)
Gained reputation:
-bigs group- Trusted- after your conversation with bigs about convincing scavs not to attack his place they have decided to trust this polite Skull mask wearing stranger

Upon returning to base and talking to the clerk about the talk with the mag most of the usual loud commotion in the lobby died down instantly
Scav clerk: "You're telling me you went there to talk to the bloody thing!?"
"Yeah, hes called bigs and was just looking for a home like the rest of the mutants in his group"
Scav clerk: "BIGS? Whu-eh?!" The clerk just pushes his face against his palms trying to process what you just said, also you heard someone in the back spit out their drinks
Scav clerk: "so let me get this fully straight, you went to the crumbling ruin of a building thats close to the I zone boarder to talk to some of the second most dangerous mutant species known to nevada to talk…" you nod and the clerk just takes a long drag from a cigarette and sighs "ill have to talk to the boss about this, we will see about marking their group as neutral, it will take some time so you will probably get your answer tomorrow"
Gained reputation:

Time for another run it seems, your interested in seeing actual zombies!
The trek wasn't that long, the small apartment building chunks all over the field with zombies scattered in between
Looking at them the zombies look literally green and lack lips showing their awful yellowed or blood covered teeth
Overall counting there are 15 zombies across the place wandering, you spotted 3 swinging pipes around hitting random objects
You can see some lockers, closets and other things strewn about
‘This should be easy’- said no one

>>4881495
Well I that makes sense in its own way I suppose.

So all classes of gun types regardless of model essentially fire the same bullet. What about like magnum pistols like a desert eagle or revolver that Jesus used?

Without a beat you start preparing to clear the zombies out
First you get to some cover, second you load slugs into your shotgun since they aren't grouped, third you count which are closest and which are furthest
Then the shooting begins
One zombies head is torn clean off by the slug, another got a hole through the chest going straight into the spine, quick reload and another two shots end two more zombies, they have started walking, running and crawling towards your position
Abandoning your previous position you load buckshot instead, one gets too close, off goes the torso at point blank, another gets the upper part of its head removed in red confetti, another reload and a zombie gets punished for getting too close, then one tried to ambush you from behind, with one swift motion with your machette you stab it in the head, it doesn't kill it but you pull it sideways towards another zombie that begins tearing into its comrade trying to reach you, a quick motion with a shotgun and both of their heads turn to red mist, another tried to crawl towards you, three stabs to the head and its dead, the last five slowly approach from the distance, switching back back to slugs the slow moving zeds didn't stand a chance

Kills:
-9 zombies with slugs
-5 with buckshot (counting the one double kill)
-one machette kill
Lost:
-9 slugs (all were single shot kills on zombies none wasted)
-4 buckshot (one double kill)

Quickly moving over to whatever you can find in the ruins you gather…
Gained:
-3 canned beans
-a fully functional console, older gen with several game CD boxes!
-2 metal sheets

Quickly returning to base you turn in the 2 bean cans and a metal sheet to the Clerk and leave a bit more excited, why?
You found a fully functional console, it may be an older generation one but it still works and has some games on it!
Small utility item gained:
-you can now pay some extra electricity bills at Softtoof's to play video games to gain a temporary will bonus for within 2 mayor action turns (mayor actions are when you pick if you want to do runs, go to the market, ect.)

After playing some Insane Combat 3 you feel great because you haven't played vidya in a while

You decide to visit Bigs, bringing the console along, you dont believe they have a monitor you could connect the console to but the pda works well enough

---Pov switch---
You are Hands, the name given to you by the other mutants in your group just because you're the only one with normal hands that could actually work on repairing things, though bigs does also have hands his are way to big for stuff like electrical wires and other small problems
That outsider called rich returned, talked to bigs about the talks about other scavengers leaving your group alone, after that he talked about wanting to spend some time with your group
He is weird, he brought an electronic device his normal kind call a console, he plugged it to an electrical outlet and connected it to his small monitor tabled then laid it sideways on a brick
After he showed off the controllers and how they functioned everyone looked at you including Bigs
Oh yeah you were the only one who can use a controller without breaking it
Rich decided to pick games and pulled out a box that read 'Attack of the crazy killer clowns!' on it, a wave based 'arcady'? shooter where you fend off hordes of killer clowns
Playing the co-operative gamemode you and mostly on Rich's part reached wave 25 before a flaming zombie hulk killed both of you
The others enjoyed watching you slaughter swarms of clowns, but were disappointed when you lost
Well that was interesting
Rich checked the tablet monitor and mumbled to himself about time and told everyone he is heading back to town
Everyone told their goodbyes, except Gut, he has no mouth
What a strange fellow
---Pov switch back---
Whew that was something, reading your pda you spent 2 hours playing zombie clown co-op
The other mutants there are a strange group, there was the older member/former leader of the group called Pinch who looked like a normal human ignoring the one giant crab claw, theres Gut who looked like a walking bloated mess who could only speak in gurgles, and last but not least there was hands, That mess of eyes was the only one who was capable of using the controller with both hands, he was preety good at games, took him a minute and he already picked up the mechanics of the game
You still lost at wave 23 (rookie numbers!) And then had to leave because there was more things to go do back at town

Reputation gained:
-Bigs group- Liked- Bigs small group of mutants like your strange personality and are very trusting of you

Surprisingly enough there was more activity happening over the entire town, when you asked whats going on you were told that scouts that followed the previous small horde of skeletons meet an even larger swarm of skeletons AND zombies heading straight towards the town from the east, worse yet the scouts noted eldritch glowing from the center of the horde… command believe a necromancer was leading the horde making the situation ten times worse, they have already warned the militia to prepare for the horde and called in for reinforcements from the other scav base at Nexus city, the Corpos there are also sending some forces to protect their assets , but it will take them time to assemble and send the reinforcements so the plan is to hold out till the rescue party comes
You were quickly sent back to base to meet up with a pre planed squad
When you reach it you're met by familiar faces, Ripper, Harry, Tom and 2 random grunts
Ripper explains how your group will be stationed at the north-eastern wall with a bunch of other squads, you are to do the same as everyone else, thin and slow the horde until reinforcements come
//EVENT//
The undead horde is coming to attack Cretin town
-The horde will arrive tomorrow morning
-Reinforcements arrive in 2 days

Ripper dismisses everyone and you leave
Welp thats a whole clusterfuck to deal with tomorrow

You have several ideas, some discarded due to the obvious, one being barricades, the city is surrounded by large walls all over so there isn't much need for extra barricades, if the undead got in its all out urban combat against people who know the city like the back of their hand, on another note you did think up a quick and useful idea and went to talk with the guys in charge of defense
"Sirs i've got a bit of a suggestion for defense"
Scav lead: "all right"
Brosco: "shoot"
"Couldn't we collect a shitton of rebars, poles and such and create shallow pits full of them around the area the horde is comming from, the undead are stupid enough to just get themselves impaled, plus is there anyone here who specializes in explosive making, make a ton of ieds and put them across the field to thin the horde?"
Brosco: "That… actually some good information, ill get my boys to dig some shallow trenches and gather any long sharp objects to fill them with"
Scav lead: "I can go skim the files for scavs who have experience in making explosives, they should be capable enough to make simple ieds"

-Defense upgrade gained: Trap field

"On another note, could i go get Bigs group to help, we could always pay them in food if they are looking for rewards"
Scav lead: "The mutants… why the hell not, a class one mag and a couple mutants could help in the possible melee if they scale the walls, we don't have Mag rate weaponry so we might get Bigs to throw blocks of concrete at the horde or drop rocks off the edge to squash any undead pileups, for the food awards? Sure its gonna bite us a bit but loosing a town connected to a trade route would be a worse outcome"
"Well ill go to bigs and ask about it!"
While you were leaving you heard brosco speak
Brosco: "Godspeed 'Lunatic'"
Huh you wonder why he called you that
After a long walk to Bigs place he and the others agree to help defend the town
Bigs: "We will help in any way we can, we were running low on food and if the town did fall we might become new targets"

-defense unit gained: Bigs group

Noting forces for both sides
Cretin town defenders:
-buildings:
>The town walls- defenders gain an extra 3 turns in battle till undead reach the top
>wall mounted MG- defenders gain +10 to grinding down the horde, the bonus drops to +5 when the undead reach the walls due to over elevated positions
>Trap field- while the horde approaches the walls defenders gain +10 to thining out the undead
Note gates were made to be equaly if not stronger than the walls
-Units:
>Cretin town militia: 80 HP +10 to all defense rolls
>scavs: 40 HP +10 to ranged defense rolls, +5 to melee combat rolls
>bigs group:100 HP (60 of it is Bigs) defenders gain +5 on the ranged defense rolls but it jumps to +10 if the undead reach the walls, defenders also gain a +15 if the undead manage to engage in melee

The undead horde:
-Forces:
>Undead horde: 300 HP, +20 to melee combat rolls
>Necromancer: 10 HP, while alive the horde gains another +10 to melee
>???????: 50 HP, +10 to all attacks

After returning to town with Bigs' group they are immediately redirected to positions on the walls while Bigs himself helped carry large amounts of rocks, concrete blocks, and other junk to the walls

Honestly you're starting to feel exhausted
Deciding you have one more thing to do before going to sleep at Softtoof's
You quickly grab one of the nerd databoxes and hook it to your PDA, spesificaly the heart symbol one, hacking was never your gig but with the time you spent making the pda function as a monitor for the console you picked up a bit of coding knowledge
After 40 minutes of cracking codes and messing with systems you cracked it, you got the code and whats in the box, huh an extreme Metabolism booster, using the code you open up the box to see 4 large epipen stab injectors
Gained:
-4 Metabolism Boosters [+10 HP] (Hardheals, can be used in combat but causes a -10 to all rolls maulus)

And after that you drop into bed, set the alarm to go off early and fall asleep

Alright there will be a 4 hour pause from this update while i work on something irl related and my phone recharges, but expect the Defense of Cretin town next update
>>
>>4882858
>Hardheals
A permanent buff, or it heals with a negative side effect? Does the malas last 1 turn?
>>
>>4882867
Hardheal means we can pop it in battle, but for the rest of it we have a -10 to rolls, presumably after battle we loose the malus.
>>
>>4882875
Correct
>>
Rolled 85, 36 = 121 (2d100)

Waking up groggy to the alarm of your PDA you quickly take a moment to remember what was going on, a few second of silence and you begin getting all your equipment, police vest on, reinforced skull mask on, shotgun loaded with slugs, mp5 loaded, beretta loaded, machete polished, yep its time for the defense of Cretin town
Meeting up on the wall with your squad you quickly notice the problem, yeah thats one massive horde heading straight for the town
Everyone gets into positions armed with rifles or slug loaded shotguns counting munitions and waiting for orders, there are about 5 different machine guns you count, 1 M2 machine gun, 2 mg3s, an mg34 and a fucking maxim

Scav lead and Brosco arrive and start taking looks through binoculars towards the horde
They quickly start barking orders for everyone to get into position and start preparing for a fight, Bigs picks up a somewhat big rock (compared to you)

-Units: 200 HP
>Cretin town militia: 80 HP +10 to all defense rolls
>scavs: 40 HP +10 to ranged defense rolls, +5 to melee combat rolls
>bigs group:100 HP (60 of it is Bigs) defenders gain +5 on the ranged defense rolls but it jumps to +10 if the undead reach the walls, defenders also gain a +15 if the undead manage to engage in melee

The undead horde:
-Forces: 360 HP
>Undead horde: 300 HP, +20 to melee combat rolls
>Necromancer: 10 HP, while alive the horde gains another +10 to melee
>???????: 50 HP, +10 to all attacks

Theres a moment of silence while everyone takes aim, then lead hits the detonator for the furthest row of IEDs and it starts raining lead

Without loosing a beat everyone started pouring lead into the oncoming horde, casings clinged of the floor but were muffled by the sound of constant fire, the machine guns were chewing through the horde like they chewed through ammo, and bigs was chucking bricks and rebar with all strength into the horde probably crushing/impaling some unlucky undead, you kept blasting and reloading slugs into the horde, always aiming to get some form of collateral with the shots
Lost:
-8 slugs
Surprisingly something in the horde was firing back with their own guns, everyone started taking more cover as the shots whizzed past
Ripper: "The necro brought some revenants to the fight, unsurprisingly"

Enemy force revealed:
-revenants-undead with enough higher function or memories to fire guns back at you

Even with the revenants the fighting was more in your favour as you slowly thinned out the horde, though it wasn't slowing them down at all

Lead detonated the second and last rows of IEDs, doing negligible damage but the continued fire and called shots have grown more effective at thinning out the horde, not like it helped much as it reached the wall, the machine gunners can aim that low but they continue firing at the back of the horde and you see bigs start picking up larger rocks and rubble heading for the wall
Putting reloading buckshot you start spraying at the now easier to hit swarm

Not wasting a beat you shoot of a ghouls legs with the 2 slugs you had, slow it down enough for one of the mg3s to turn towards it and start tearing into it till its dead, Bigs threw a rebar at one like a spear and impaled it through the chest, then he and the mutants engage the other ghoul, Hands armed with a serbu shotgun starts tearing into its sides with hollow points while the others and guts distract it, then Bigs just jumps in and impales it through the head, putting his leg against its torso and pulling with all his might he tears the ghouls head clean off, though you can't get a breather as more ghouls start climbing over the edge
Lost:

The situation wasn't going well, after the first two ghouls the machine guns repositioned to fire onto anything that climbs on top of the wall, that was a good decision as the upcoming five were a nightmare, one didn't have a chance to respond as the M2 tore it to shreds, nothing outside a tank could withstand a .50 cal, the other 3 that propped over the edge were worse, as one charged the militia it was was being gunned down but did not slow down, some madmen bayonet rushed it back and managed to hold it down till it died at the cost of their lives, the other one rushed your squad, from prior experience again you opt for blowing its limbs off, this time it was the arm joints, with a thunk it continued pushing itself towards your squad, then Hands came up out of nowhere and blasted 3 buckshot shells into its eye socket obliterating the other side of itd head, the third was in the process of getting gunned down by the mg3 till the last fifth ghouls popped over the ledge and slaughtered the gunner, bigs finished off the wounded one by smashing its skull in with a rock and then charged at the last one with a rebar, while fighting, a swipe tore into bigs chest but he carried on fighting promptly jamming the rebar through its skull and pushing it off the ledge, you quickly gave him a stimpak to heal him up
Healed:
-Bigs back to 60 hp
Lost:
-1 stimpak

That victory was cut extremely shortly by the sounds of zombie groans and skeletal clacking, the horde has reached the top, immediately lead and Brosco shouter orders to throw molotovs… at their own dead and begin retreating, zombies and a necromancer… figures, the machine gunners grabbed what they could and ran, everyone was retreating into the city

Lost:
-30 SMG bullets

As soon as you reached the bottom you were rushed back into the main streets where awaited so many sandbag walls, rubble blocades, barricades of all kinds, most of it spiked with rebars, orders were clear, Hold down every street with all the ammo you can use up, and if you’re out go get close and personal with a molotov from the crate

Lets see
Enemy DC 50
Defenders got 139 + 25 from personal hardcrit, 164
114 damage to the enemy
85 damage to undead horde, damage threshold reached, rest of damage is split between the undead and revenants now
So total damage to undead horde is 100, revenants take 14 damage
Enemies: 71 hp
>undead horde is at 35 hp lowering melee bonus to +4
>revenants at 36 hp, dc bonus lowered to +8
>necromancer seeing a lost battle retreats leaving the rest of the undead as a distraction
Rest of CT forces mop up the now unorganized undead
Defenders win!
Will be writing the fight, also soon to get hardcrit perk

Fighting in the streets was a fucking nightmare, around every corner there was enough spiked barricades that you might mistake them for mutant hedgehogs for a moment and an undead might jump you if youre not carefull
It was during one of the fights at the slums that you and your squad managed to get surrounded, you spent another MP5 mag and all your slugs fighting, hell you used up 2 beretta mags until the zombies and skeletons got into melee
Lost:
-5 Slugs
-12 Buckshot
-30 smg ammo
-30 pistol ammo (beretta uses 96 mag variants)

It was when you couldn't reload another beretta mag that multiple undead jumped you, you probably couldn't stand a chance because the others were too busy holding their position, this seemed like the end for you untill…
ASSET UNDER HIGH RISK, PRIORITY UPLOAD OF UNARMED COMBAT MASTERY, IGNORE SAFETY PROTOCOLS, ENGAGE UPLOAD
i would make it red but my id switched so i cant use diffrient styles anymore

There was a massive pain in your head and everything went red
---Pov switch---
You're Ripper and todays gotta be the day you saw the single most crazy thing in nevada, you were shit out of luck surrounded by undead with your squad, Lunatic was about to die when all of a sudden he screamed and all of a sudden rushed the undead that were upon him
What happened was utter brutality, he punched zombies jaws back into their skulls, smashed skeletons against the pavements, he crushed and tore so many undead apart with his bare hands, he was in the middle of bashing a zombies head in with his skull mask that reinforcements came and broke you out of the encirclement, after they helped clear out the undead they found Lunatic unconscious among a pile of utterly brutalized undead corpses

You picked him up and carried him back to base with the rest of the squad and when you returned you got actual good news, the undead were being pushed back and the nexus reinforcements arrived to clean up the rest so your squad was actually allowed to go take a break, only bad news is that there were no reports of the necromancer which meant it probably left when it saw a lost battle

The squad was at the base dining hall exchanging stories, though they had more attention on them due to the story of the berserk Lunatic and his rampage against the undead, some were skeptical at first until they got a confirmation from you about it, honestly some were impressed, some grew paranoid of what kind of monster Lunatic is and some straight up started idolizing him
Honestly you were impressed yourself about his feat but the fact he did it, though he was suspicious of how much the mutagen changed him, you didn't miss the fact his arms were covered in bone, but what the hell did he end up with the berserk rage is beyond you
You collect your payment for helping defend the city and go back to your apartment
Hope Lunatic recovers at least
---Pov switch end---

Your head feels like shit when you wake up, though you weren't expecting someone to be standing next to your bed, a guy in a post apocalyptic doctor outfit
"Ah, Lunatic you're awake, its been 8 hours since Ripper brought you here, im Stitch the doctor assigned to this infirmary and you my friend won't be getting any medication if you're having headaches, its expensive as it is and id rather keep some in case someone with actual head trauma needs it, anyways now that you're up and walking i suggest going to the clerks to collect your awards for participating in the defense of this 'most prestigious of towns'" he said that last bit with so much sarcastic flare
Without further ado and not being in the mood to argue for some migraine pills you instead pop some painkillers instead and head to collect the award
Though when you arrived you were given some looks, thry were a mix of suspicion, fear, respect and idolization, but you dont know why
Anyways you collect your prize, they specifically paid you in different shotgun shells
Gained:
-20 slugs
-20 buckshot
-20 hollow points
-20 Lead free balle fleche (shotgun sabot)
-40 pistol bullets

Well that's a lot, you decided to ask about Bigs
Clerk: "The mag? Yeah, boss and Brosco are talking to the mayor about possibly helping his group setup an actual settlement for them not far from here because the building close to the I zone was too expensive to just build a road to and the reality stabilizer required to keep a settlement there safe from anomalies would cost a fortune" you wonder why they know so much about this
"Thats a lot more than was first agreed on, though we were just gonna pay them in food"
Clerk: "well they decided after what they saw at the battle they would rather keep them as allies closeby, plus a new actually interesting target for traders and interested parties that would invest in a settlement of sentient mutants, though this isn't the first one, it sure is a first within Khanis' territory"
"Khanis?"
Clerk: "oh yeah newbie battle savant from like 3 days ago… Khanis id the top dog of of this part of nevada, Formed a faction by wrangling all the corporations that had favours to him from his time as a former merc under his thumb"
"Ah okay"

>cont
>>
>>4890132
After leaving the base you see that the town in bustling with activity, people are working on removing the old barricades and burning the dead, some are repairing any damage found and some are patrolling in groups looking for undead remnants
Honestly you still feel exhausted and the headache isn't helping much, though it does feel strange, it feels like martial art memories you never had before popped up in your brain, some playing in normal speeds some in slow motion and some faster than you can perceive, its a mess and it hurts your head but you feel like some of the moves in that mess are muscle memories, you can replicate some of them without even actually learning about them in your life prior to nevada
Perk gained:
-catch these hands!- with the martial art data uploaded into your brain you fight like a martial master… well you would be if it weren't a mess of barely anything understandable, at least you can do some of the moves!- you gain a +5 to all unarmed combat rolls, this perk can later be upgraded with a 5 unarmed softcrit counter or another hardcrit in unarmed combat

After going to Softtoof's and paying for a room, you take another nap to clear your head

You 'awaken' in a dark abyss with a white glowing sky, you want to scream but you cannot
Then a giant 'thing' forms into existence, a mess of rock, crystal and complex machinery beyond your understanding, you cannot see any eyes but you know its looking at YOU
Then it speaks
ENTITY/ASSET'S HELL CONSCIOUS LOCATED, BEGINNING DATA SCAN

You wake up from the nightmare with a jolt and fall off your bed, the headache is gone and you feel way better than yesterday
Quickly you put on your clothes and prepare for the day by quickly checking the PDA you notice a lack of missions, only a notification saying that due to the town recovery no scouts were dispatched to scout for anomalies
Well thats a bit disappointing but understandable
Quickly going outside to get a breath of that dry nevadan air you get to planing what to do
>No runs available at the moment
>Check out the Majors house to ask about the new settlement
>go to the market (note due to the attack merchants have raised the prices of their goods)

Hearing about the new settlement plans got you curious so you went towards the town centre where the town hall is, to say its secure is an understatement, place has its own smaller wall with several watchtowers within the perimeter, took the guards 30 minutes straight to check your ID and give word to the mayor that you're there, took another 20 for him to approve your entrance, The actual hall looks like a mix of an actual town hall and a military base, when the guards lead you into the mayor's office where you meet some familiar faces, scav lead and Brosco in chairs talking with an old man in a office chair on the other side of the table
scav lead: “Ah here he is, mayor Oswell this is the man i spoke about”
Oswell: “Oh the one who spoke with Bigs and the mutants” He offers you a seat on a spare chair “Heard many things about the madman who casually talks to highly dangerous mutants, befriends them and then kills nearly fifty undead with his bare hands”
Brosco: “I'm gonna guess that you’re here about the new settlement plans” you nod “Well Me, Mayor Oswell and Bill” OH so thats Boss’ name! “have at first thought of just paying them in food for participating in battle, but then the whole shitshow with the ghouls popping up to slaughter us on the wall happened, Bigs and his friends have proven worth allies to keep around should the necromancer attack again, so we decided to setup a settlement nearby for the purpose of better housing, self reliance capability, quick responses for defense and trade” Oswell nodded to everything Brosco explained
Oswell: “Well that's most of it, though your arrival does bring up something i was gonna ask later, Rich the Lunatic id like to offer you a position as the temporary intermediary diplomat for the settlement while its being built up, you retain your job as a scav but you will be moving to the settlement to pre built lodgings for yourself, all you have to do is help be the neutral party and help with communications between Bigs group and others, though it will take time before its construction begins since the material shipment from Nexus is gonna take some time but we will call you when it begins, so what do you say, up for the job?”

So how does this stabilizer thing work? This is the first time I've heard about it. Does it prevent buildings from crashing town right on top of you're head?
>>
>>4890498
Oswell: "Correct, stabilizers are extremely complex machinery that stabilizes nevadan reality just enough that an anomaly doesn't accidentaly drop a melting down reactor or something on you, the stronger the reactor the bigger the reach, though some cities just go for owning multiple reactors in difirent parts for the sake of cheapness, stronger stabilizers are a requirement if youre building close to the i zone, because that place is more unstable. You agreed to be the temporary intermediary diplomat for the upcoming settlement
Oswell: “Great, ill just need to input the data onto your ID and we will be done with it”
With that and a couple goodbyes you were lead out of the hall and return to the streets outside
Not much time has passed and things still seem to be stabilizing, though you notice scavs wearing skull masks walking around sometimes, staring at you for a minute while you were tinkering with the PDA and promptly skedaddle away when you look up at them, its strange to say the least
On another note you got a personal PDA message from bigs himself, turns out they gave him the PDA in goodwill and to be able to inform him about the settlement, he is currently at his old place with the others packing anything of importance

With all that out of the way you look for things to do

we should socialize and also ask some questions, like what is considered a Mutant exactly, we have bone armor around our body but nobody said anything about it maybe because it's not that easy to see or maybe because people called Mutants are someone who passes some thresehold in aparence changes, like maybe very differently colored skin like purple(bone colored in our case), weird eyes, being slightly taller and bulkier tough not at a MAG level or sharp nails are considered people with quirks but not mutants

Upon approaching the group you got several different reactions, some waddled away out of fear, some just froze to stare at you, some looked excited and some were calm and neutral
Out of all of them one skull masked scav approaches and offers you a handshake
Bonehead Josh: "Well i'll be damned, Lunatic in the flesh! It is good to see you, I'm Josh, the current leader of the Boneheads!"
"And what are the Boneheads about, i'm gonna take a wild guess and say you're my fans?"
Bonehead Josh: "YEP, me and the boys heard of all the shit you've done within the past 3 cycles, you're a living legend man, no one ever does shit like you do, from sneaking past skeletons with barely anything on your back to utterly brutalizing a small army of undead with your bare hands, you're a growing legend man!"
Huh well thats… interesting, you didn't really think you were doing anything special, you just had good plans, except for whatever happened during that fight with the undead
Bonehead Josh: "Me and the others have decided to fashion skeleton skulls as masks just like you did so we can identify each other, plus they look awesome" he gets a ping on his pda and immediately starts preparing to leave "sorry, duty calls, gotta fill in for the missing gate guards"
After he left some of the others approached and asked about multiple things, some you awnsered some you didnt, you did explain how wearing the masks and acting very undead can trick the very stupid skeletons and how to deal with larger monsters like ghouls, also mentioning how youre gonna be moving possibly soon to the new settlement for a temporary job
After exchanging some stories and some normal chatting you head out to do some work for the day
Revealed new minor faction:
Boneheads- adoring to fanatical- your fans at the Cretin town scav outpost

Do cybernetics exist? Would any of the mutants in big's group consider cybernetic replacements if their mutations prove to be more problematic than useful?
Would it be possible to hunt down and bully the necromancy secrets out the necromancers, so we many one day make impromtu dance parties out of roaming zombies and skeletons? Could we learn necromancy from someone or a book, maybe from the internet?

Normal money can be used to buy stuff at THE Nevada gates
>>
>>4891979
Awesome. Let's make a local note to always be on the look out for normal currency when exploring, looting corpses, and looting undead. We might find random goodies like on feral ghouls in fallout.

Instead of meat, what about green house crops, or would it be safer and cheaper to export crops from out of the region since a reality generator would require sufficient power to protect the fields, making it less worth the effort?
>>
>>4891970
i am pretty sure mechanical replacements like a hand like the one Guts from Berserk has or metal jaws exist but the Madnessverse is a place chock full of dexfags, manual dextery and acrobatic abilities are the true madness magic not the supernatural abilities like some would believe, so those who have prospectics would be at a disadvantage against anyone who doesn't have them even if they are bulletproof, so i imagine those with mechanical limbs are more bodyguards or thugs than anything else

Going to a more private area you grab the last databox you have and hook it up to your PDA
This time it was way easier now that you know how the code and programing worked, honestly the nevadan programing is somewhat bad, its universal and easy to modify but when it comes to security its like its run on windows vista, because you just bypassed the firewall and cracked the system from the inside by unlocking the password… that was way too easy but hey you got goodies to check
Opening the box you find more needles, well these ones are actual needles that need proper vein injections unlike the stimpaks/metabolism boosters, huh its 3 needles of putrid green fluid mixed with crimson red, looks like liquid zombie from the outside but if you had to deduce from last time you asked about needles this would be unstable mutagen, theres also 3 needles of a silvery and white liquid with a ‘purifier’ label on it
Gained:
-3 unstable mutagen- if injected op rolls background dice and gives options for mutations, some are bad some are good and some hit the in between based on how lucky you are
-Removed 1 random weak mutation, note this could backfire and take away good ones too, does not work on upgraded/strong mutations

Perk gained:
-”Nevadan Programs are dumb”- gain +10 to hacking and programing rolls

After stashing your finds you head out into town to ask about the other things of common knowledge in nevada and after spending several hours chatting up with scavs, militiamen and random civilians you got the most of the common information about nevada
As mentioned before you're in Khanis’ territory chock full of corporations wrangled by Khanis himself, then there's the other major powers of Nevada, starting with Khanis’ neighbors
The Nevadan Military Remnants NMR for short, semi military dictatorship that used to be completely under NERD control until the incident that lead to the creation of Crayter, they are technically the most logisticaly stable force in nevada since they are nearly as old as NERD themselves, their capital is the hive city named Armory, to call it a fortress is a understatement, it's a straight up impenetrable powerhouse covered to the brim in guns of various sizes
Mentioning NERDs bring us to them, they are a semi Isolationist group that used to also control NMR territory untill they made a major fuck up in tests involving something called the ATP program and MAGs, ended up with the only ever use of a nuclear device in Nevada, their Capital NERD HQ is a normal fortress dwarfed by their neighbor Armory

The other factions that are somewhat known about on the other side of the improbability zone, The Wiz Biz Gang WBG for short are a nation mainly comprised of Improbables, when you asked what an improbable is the answer was people with Nevada magic that's hard to explain, usually they either start gifted with their powers when brought here or have to use artefacts to learn magic, back to the faction though, they are somewhat isolationist towards normals and mutants unless they are capable of using Nevadan magic themselves, So a faction of wasteland wizards of various strengths that respect other wizards for their strengths, they have 2 capitals Arcana and The Library, Arcana is the more populous of the 2 housing twice as many people and hosting shows like the Wizard battle arena, Library on the other hand is the place of knowledge and scholars, all of their knowledge is accumulated in the central spire of the city that resembles a spiraling tower upwards that is constantly building up, for some reason that bodes ill for you but you can't place a finger on it
Next up we have Mutie highway, a nation comprised entirely mostly of stable mutants that control the long highway that leads from Wiz biz territory to the Wheelers territory, they are led by GREG the Abominable from his own city called Gregs den, not creative at all, though they are more accepting of mutants of any kind, hell they have tamed wild mutants, some noted a town has an entire program for trying to find which wild mutants can possibly retain or form sentience
Next are the mentioned Wheelers guys, they control the automobile industry of nevada mostly through all of their workshops, their capital the Scrapyard is only known for the anual monster truck wars which are broadcasted to all nevada channels every 3 months, the current ongoing champion of the war is Wheeler himself with his Mutie racer 10k, a beast and an abomination of a monster truck

>>4892100
Then theres the Scars, bunch of isolationist madmen who have cut off the South Western entrance to nevada, not much info is there about them since they only appeared recently besides the fact they are led by someone stereotypically named Scarface

Welp thats most of the common knowledge around this loopty land of insanity

Plans?
>Personal scout and loot (Nevadan wastes encounters, pick where you wanna explore)
>Market? (situation has seemed to cool down but some sellers sill have higher prices)
>Rummor digging?
>Go explore around Cretin town for a bit (non dangerous encounters, possible small quest lines or informational things)

Find a seller for the unstable mutations. I think you mentioned something about these being sellable to corporations or NERDS?

Yeah cybernetics are a thing in nevada but are expensive as shit, and thats regular grade stuff like replacement limbs that feel like your old ones, high tier shit that can turn you into a walking tank or a cyberninja are something Super Corps and nerd have access to
Though yes they could be an easy route to replacing a bad mutated limb outside of slow mutation removal treatments

On another note if anyone asks yes everyone looks like pic related and have wierd biology but thats so common everyone sees it as natural thats why a mutant having the rest of the arm is so un natural for everyone
>>
>>4892116
Corporates rarely go outside their big cities and nerds not being in their little secret outposts or at HQ? HAHAHAHA

>>
>>4892153

>>
>>4892145
>unstable
i dunno seems like a high risk high reward thing so we better use only one or reserve it for if we are in a tought situation and we need a powerup asap, i would like to give 2 of the purifiers to Bigs group and ask them to teach us some of their skills, they have been surviving for some time seeing as they are a tighknit group so they are bound to have experience with stealth or scavenging
>>
>>4892154
>>4892128
oh that was a mistake on my part, should have said hands, i miss things here and there, if you had arms people would indentify you as a mutant easily
>>
>>4892145
Compared to the stable mutigens, it seems less beneficial for us to take. We could get a really bad one, or a really mediocre one which would replace on of our good mutations, when instead we could get a guaranteed good mutation through stable samples. We stand to gain more by selling any unstable mutigens we get. I only hope no one in our little fan club decides to try using the unstable variants in an attempt to be like us.

>>4892154
Ripper grew arms?

>>4892166
Tom mentioned the N.E.R.D.s stuff could be used towards the data recovery bounty, if we still have the old details for it. Could we co back to the scav building and see if we can be put into contact with the original guy who made the bounty so we can sell the unstable mutagen to them?

What are the benefits to ATP enhancements? You mentioned that they're the mustard boys?
>>
>>4892187
you still have the databoxes so yeah you could get the data recovery bundles for these
>>
>>4892187
Rich didn't grow arms and Ripper doesn't have arms like a normal Nevadian being.

also didn't we already sell the data?

ATP enchancements seems either faster blood clothin/regen due to weird blood or a bit of all around phisical upgrade, the ATP guys in the Madness combat series didn't seem different in anything save blood color from the regular mooks, their weapons weren't noticiably heavier, they weren't much stronger or faster and die with shoots to the torso all the same but then their enemies are characters with what i suspect is a combined stat score in the late 100s or early 200s with combat perks to boot...
>>
>>4892209
>you still have the databoxes so yeah you could get the data recovery bundles for these
I think we some papers at some point when we were with Ripper? We got the daraboxes before that time, when we did that one job with the other two newbies. We kept the NERD boxes, and it seems we can pull up the details of the old job on our cheap PDA.

Imagine getting ATP enhancements as a level 3 or higher mag. Time to nuke nevada again.

So first seeling the 2 databoxes for the data alone is worth one regular bounty, since you took the contents of the boxes so pick a munition to get paid with
Due to a very nice background roll theres a merchant heading to Nexus willing to buy all 3 mutagen at a base price of 50 pistol bullets per needle (note the pure stuff you injested is 4 times the price)
>how much will you sell
Mostly doing this early to make writing the next update easier

Anyways ill openly roll 6 dice and give you the 3 encounters to choose from

And since one anon voted closer to the i zone all dice gain boosts in their respective things

-A completely ruined armored vehicle of some kind, its surrounded by zombies in military gear
-A small create with a rusted out US military logo, Bunch of wild mutants are prowling around it
-Another very small but growing swarm of skeletons with the same earrie glow of a necromancer, seems you possibly found the same jackass who attacked CT

One hour of voting for which run to do, note the others old locations are noted down but the necromancer might move places

Sell all. Still think this is a waste of good loot, if mutations work how they seem to work we should get better chances of having good mutations by using multiple injections at once. But I don't know how probability works so don't mind me.
