You couldn’t be more than a couple of hours away from Lannisport when it happened. Rodwin stormed inside the cabin and shook you awake quite unceremoniously.
“We have a situation, cousin”- He looked nervous and drops of sweat ran down his forehead.

Brushing your eyes, you sit on the bed and let out a loud yawn
“What happened now?”

“You should see it for yourself. Meet me at the deck”
He doesn’t wait for an answer before storming off outside. The loud noise of the cabin’s door bashing against its frame is all you are left with.

You leave the bed for the first time in twenty hours and are instantly greeted by the wobbling sensation of standing on a moving ship. It seems you are still in open waters. Wasting no time, you swiftly put on some light clothing and limp your way to the door.
Leaning into it, you push the heavy wood with your left arm and the door flings open abruptly.
The fresh smell of sea water floods your nostrils, the morning sunlight hits your eyes…It feels good to finally leave that wretched cabin.

The commotion on the ship is easy to notice. Most of the crew is piling up at the ship’s starboard staring forward into the horizon. Rodwin and Leah are also there and they appear to be arguing.

You close the short distance to the group in a few strides. Upon reaching the assembled sailors, they all turn to face you. Most of them stare at you with a hint of relief but some display a wary tone. You are not sure if they are glad you are all right or if they are skeptical of your speedy recovery. Nevertheless, they salute you with half-hearted bows and nods.

Rodwin hands you a myrish eye and points ahead. You take the object and focus your eyes through the telescope. It doesn’t take long for you to identify the source of all the tumult. Less than half a mile away, two ships are engaged in fierce combat.

The larger vessel has long black sails with no sigil or stamp. You know it in your bones what that means. Pirates.

The smaller ship has light gray sails with two golden intertwined triangles draw on it. You recognize it as the mark of the Iron Bank of Braavos.

Even from this distance you can tell the bravoosi ship is in dire circumstances. They are desperately trying to shake off and escape the pirates, but the sea-raiders have already managed to hook their ship with grapplers and chains. It’s only a matter of time before the pirates board the merchant ship and put its crew to the sword.
>>
>>4918750

When you put the telescope down, the whole crew is staring at you in silence. They know your word will decide whatever happens next.

The silence doesn’t extend to Leah and Rodwin though. They start speaking almost simultaneously.

Leah: “We need to help! Those pirates will kill them.”

Rodwin: “You don’t get it. As much as I would love to help, our crew is small and our ship is not fit for combat. Sailing there would be risking all our lives. We should steer clear and report what we saw to the authorities at Lannisport.”

Leah: “So we are just going to turn a blind eye and let those criminals slaughter them?”

Rodwin: “Look they are pirates they are only after loot. They will steal their cargo but let them live, don’t be so dramatic”

Leah: “You don’t know that!”

Rodwin: “I am not about to let your naivety and misplaced empathy kill-”

You: “ENOUGH!”

Rodwin and Leah stop their bickering as you raise your voice. You are the captain and you must make the final choice. Collecting your thoughts and analyzing the situation you decide to:

>Sail forward and engage the pirate ship! We are saving those bravoosi merchants.
>Keep your current route to Lannisport. It is a sad affair but there is not much you can do.
> Warg into Jaws and carry Rodwin there. You two will wreck havoc and try to buy time for the bravoosi ship to escape. What could go wrong?

You REALLY would like to keep sailing to Lannisport and pretend nothing happened. But Leah’s pleading eyes make for a convincing case. You won’t sit idly and let the merchants to their fate. Not when you possess an ace in the sleeve in the form of a four tons marine predator.

“We are engaging the pirates. Get ready for combat men” – You loudly proclaim

The sailors clearly didn’t expect that choice. Anxiety and worry are plain in their features. Even Rodwin looks on edge. Only Leah sounds pleased and relieved.

Rodwin kicks a nearby bucket and doesn’t hide his indignation.
“You can’t be serious. Counting you and me we have twelve men. Those pirates must number at least thirty.”

You smirk and lean over the ship’s railing
“You forgot that we have two skinchangers aboard. I bet I can disable that ship before they realize what hit them.”

You turn to face your sister. “I am warging into Jaws. See if you can find any wild creature to skinchange into”

You sister nods. “I hope there are some whale friends around…”

The sailors begrudgingly get to work as the helmsman sets the ship en route to the pirates. Just like Rodwin, they don’t seem particularly excited to engage in needless combat, yet none of them openly defies your command.

Meanwhile you retreat to your chambers so you can better focus on the warg process uninterrupted. You have skinchanged into Jaws many times, and slipping into him is no longer a strenuous process. You close your eyes for a few seconds, focus on the familiar cetacean swimming outside and when you open your eyes again you are no longer laying on your bed.
You are surrounded by clear blue water and instead of your puny human body, you are now in control of thousands of pounds of animal strength.

It has been a while since you last merged with Jaws and you take a few minutes getting used to the feeling of once again swimming as an apex predator of the oceans.

You see your ship’s bilge above and can only scoff as how slow and cumbersome man’s machines are next to the sheer natural power you possess. You have to actively slow down and pace yourself to give your human allies time to catch up to you, otherwise you would reach the pirate vessel long before them.

Eventually both you and the ship come close enough to the naval conflict that you feel like it’s time to start your engagement. Now all that remains is to decide how you will strike.

What is the plan of attack?

>strike the pirate’s rudder and break it while your ship distracts them
>ram the ship and try to put a hole in the hull
>bite and rip off the three chains and ropes binding the bravoosi ship to the pirate vessel.

First order of business should be freeing the bravoosi ship. He is bound to the pirates by three grappling hooks. You will have to get between the ships and leap a few feet out of the water to reach the ropes but it should be easy enough to rip them off the boat.

Next, you will attempt to capsize the pirate ship by pulling one of the hooks down. You have no Idea if Jaws will have the strength to do this or if the rope will be sturdy enough to hold the tension without tearing but it is worth a shot.

If all goes according to plan, you should be able to incapacitate the pirates singlehandedly and there won’t be any need for your crew to engage in combat.

As you dive in position between the pirate and bravoosi vessels you spot a large swimming blur approaching. As the massive form gets closer you realize it’s actually some sort of seal? But unlike the gray seals you are used to seeing on your home island, this one is enormous, easily twice times as large as a human.

Whatever it is, it is probably the only wild creature Leah could find in such short notice…you were kind of hoping she would skinchange into a large whale or a mighty shark but it seems you will have to make do with the seal-like creature today.
With Leah now swimming next to you, you are ready to commence the first part of your strike. Accelerating from deep bellow the waterline, you breach the surface and leap amidst both ships. The rope closer to the ship’s stern is your first target and you grasp it between your powerful jaws. The combined force of your weight and speed proves too much for the wood to hold and the hook breaks free off the bravoosi ship almost instantly.

You land back in the water with a satisfactory “splash” and a lose rope held in your mandibles. One down, two to go.

The second rope is not fully stretched causing chunks of it to remain underwater. This means you don’t need to leap and breach the surface to hit it but it also means you don’t have the help of gravity in tearing it apart. It takes the collective effort of you and Leah pulling down on the rope to yank it free from the bravoosi vessel.

The final rope snaps as easily as the first one when you breach for it and drag it underwater. And just like that it is done. In less than two minutes you and Leah managed to free the bravoosis from their bindings

Unfortunately the next part of your plan doesn’t go as smoothly. You try capsizing the boat by swimming down with one of the ropes still attached to the pirate ship but even with Leah’s assistance you are unable to do more than to cause the pirate ship to slightly stir to the left. The ship is just too large to be sunk by a single Orca and a big seal.

Freeing the bravoosi ship was not in vain though. They use the opportunity to distance themselves from the pirates and speed towards Lannisport.

You raise your head above the waterline to get a reading of the situation. It seems the pirates have changed their focus to your ship now. They might not understand exactly how the bravoosi broke free but they sure as hell must think it was caused by the sudden arrival of your vessel.

It won’t take long for them to engage you ship and you must decide what to do next:

>we have done enough, time to retreat. Hopefully the pirates won’t give chase
>let them come closer. Rodwin and the crew will fight them if they try to board.

To prevent pursuit from the pirates you decide to leave them with one final gift. Swimming to the stern of the ship you quickly locate their vulnerable wooden rudder. Your strength and mass might not be enough to capsize a ship this large but it should be more than enough to break their steering mechanism.

Wasting no time, you sink your teeth on the wood and shake vigorously causing the whole rudder to tremble and its iron hinges to shatter. While you didn’t completely rip the rudder apart you doubt they will be able to steer the ship properly with the damage you caused.

With your sabotage concluded, you swim away from the pirates and warg out of Jaws.
Once again you awake in your cabin, having returned to your original human body. You jump off the bed and rush to the deck to inform the crew of their new orders.

Rodwin is the first to notice your arrival.
“I see you managed to free the bravoosi merchants. What now?”

“I also broke their rudder”- you let out a small laugh – “Now we sail to Lannisport while those morons try to figure out why their ship isn’t turning”

The rest of the crew heard your exchange with satisfaction. They cheer and whistle celebrating this bloodless victory. The helmsman sets the ship towards Lannisport narrowly avoiding a collision with the pirate vessel.

You will never know if the pirates intended to give chase. As your ship escapes their grasp, all they can do is spin around aimlessly.

The rest of the journey to Lannisport is uneventful. The few hours separating you from dry land drag on in monotony. After the adrenaline rush of your recent exploits, you find yourself extremely bored and looking to occupy your time. Your chest and right arm still ache, so engaging in physical activities is ill advised. Instead you elect to spend your time socializing with your crew. Who do you decide to talk to?

It has been some time since you had a decent conversation with your cousin. Rodwin could be a bit hot-headed, brash and impatient but his sense of duty and loyalty always shined brighter when it mattered. Though he was a bastard, your father always treated him as a true member of the family.

Unlike you and Jafir, Rodwin wasn’t actually born on the Lonely Light archipelago. In fact half of his life was spent on Harlaw, the second largest Ironborn island. Your late uncle Emmond had sired him with the daughter of a Harlaw’s merchant 22 years ago. While the merchant was furious at first, Emmond managed to win him over with gifts of gold and the promise to look after the unborn child.

Your uncle noble intentions were cut short though. Your grandfather, the head of the family at the time, became livid once he heard of his sons extramarital exploits. He hated the idea of one of his children frolicking with an outsider commoner and refused to marry Emmond to the merchant’s daughter.

Rodwin and his mother were only allowed to take residency on the Boulder after your grandfather passed away. By then, Rodwin was already twelve years old. You still remember the day he arrived at the keep. Your father had arranged a celebratory feast to welcome him to his new home. The young bastard had never been so warmly welcomed in his whole life. In that day, Rodwin finally realized that he was part of a ral family.

As you recollect those fond memories, you make your way to the ship’s bow where your cousin is sitting on a wooden crate while scribbling on a small pocket journal. He notices your approach and closes the booklet.
“Need anything cuz? We will be by lannisport in a few hours. Shouldn’t you rest a bit before that?”

“I have rested enough for a week already. Staying locked on that cabin won’t make me heal faster…”- You take a sit on a nearby barrel – “What were you writing there?”

“Just a summary of today’s events. I like to keep a little journal whenever I am away at sea”-He puts away the booklet before continuing- “So are you here just to chat a little?”

“Pretty much.”- You shrug.

Rodwin forms a subtle slime. “We have time. What do you want to discuss?”

You are in an adventurous mood so a talk about past and current travels seems appropriate.

“Have you ever been to Lannisport?”- You query

“Twice. On both occasions I had a pleasant time. It’s a huge city, a far cry from the tiny villages they call towns at the Iron islands.”

“Do you think we will run into trouble there?”

Rodwin scratches his head.
“Hmmm…Unlikely. The Red cloaks are well trained. They patrol most of the city and are not nearly as inept at it as the Gold cloaks of Kingslanding. I also think the Lannisters are unlikely to harass us as long as we don’t cause a commotion. We are a bit below their pay grade.”

“I see. Hopefully it will be less *exciting* than our stay at Fair Isle”.

Your Cousin nods and sighs.
“While I don’t think whoever ordered Leah’s kidnapping will strike again, you should not walk alone anymore. I will be accompanying you when you go ashore. Leah will stay on the ship with the crew where she won’t be able to get into any more trouble”

You laugh at his concern.
“Really? I am fine, I don’t need you babysitting me”

Rodwin doesn’t blink.
“You might be the captain but that’s not negotiable. We can’t take any more chances.”

“That’s just an excuse so you can wander around Lannisport, right? But have it your way, you can accompany me if you wish”- You concede.

The next half hour flies by as Rodwin talks a bit more about his time at Lannisport and the many markets, brothels and taverns he visited. When you think you have heard enough, you elect to change subjects to a more distant affair.
“Besides Lannisport, where else have you been?”

Rodwin grins and stretches his arms.
“All around. I have been sailing since I was twelve and acting as captain since sixteen. The North, Oldtown, Dorne, King’s landing and even Essos, I have been to all.”

“Any favorites?”

“I liked Myr. Beautifull city and it doesn’t stink nearly as much as other large towns” - He confides.

You are about to shoot more questions his way but Rodwin interrupts you with an inquiry of his own.
“When we are done with this trip where would you like to go next?”

You wonder this yourself. When you return to The Boulder with your trade mission to the Westerlands accomplished, your father is bound to send you off again eventually. You would like to go to:

You always wondered about the peculiarities of faraway lands. Westeros is a large continent but it’s not really what you would call exotic. Most of it is culturally and religiously homogenous when compared to the rest of the world. If you could pick your next destination it would be somewhere more exciting….

“I want to go to Essos. Not sure where exactly but perhaps one of the free cities.”- You answer your cousin

“Interesting choice. Assuming we do well on Lannisport, I think your father would not oppose sending you to Essos next.”

“Would you accompany me there?”

Rodwin shrugs.
“Maybe. But we can’t be sure of the future. This might be our last trip together or the first of many…”- He trails off

You focus on his eyes and notice a hint of sadness.
“What’s the matter? Feeling a bit gloomy?”

Rodwin averts his gaze.
“Just thinking about my father… Before he disappeared in the sunset sea he promised he would take me on a tour to the free cities when he got back. But I guess that was just one of the many promises he couldn’t keep.”

Emmond, Rodwins father, had disappeared six years ago after sailing to the west. His loss weighted heavily on all the family but for Rodwin it had always been a bitter affair. You couldn’t tell if he resented his father or if he missed him.

Rodwin seems to have judged the conversation concluded.
“I am going downstairs to the hold. Got to check on our provisions before we land. Fetch me when you are ready to disembark”- He is no longer facing you by the time he finishes his sentence.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Image of Lannisport on the horizon grows larger with every minute as your ship closes the final miles of sea separating it from the dry land. Even before landing you can tell the city is massive. Hundreds of buildings dot its interior and on a cliff to north you spot the majestic Casterly Rock, the seat of house Lannisters, the Wardens of the West. The castle reminds you of a perched bird, watching tirelessly over Lannisport as it was its own nest.

Soon your ship reaches the docks of the famous city and your crew gets to work tying up ropes and folding sails. Unlike the docks of Fair Isle which had a dozen vessel docked at most, here you are surrounded by hundreds of ships. Tiny fishing boats, summer island swanships, war galleys and merchant vessels, the waters around you are teeming with all sorts of watercraft.

As you dress up and prepare to go ashore, all that is left to decide is who is going to accompany you:

You kind of already agreed to let Rodwin accompany you, but fuck bringing Leah ashore. You are not letting her of the boat again until you return home.

You swiftly locate your cousin fumbling around a pair of boxes inside the ship’s hold. With a quick exchange of words you let him now you are ready to disembark. At the deck, Rodwin gives some instructions to the quartermaster before following you to the ramp connecting to the docks.

You start walking through the wharfs but halfway through it an elderly man blocks your way.
The stranger dons a gray fur vest and a boiled leather breastplate, in his hilt a long sword stands idly. The man’s long dark beard, steel hair and aged eyes contrasts with his youthfully physic as he stands firmly blocking your path.

Rodwin is the first to address the inconvenience.
“Something wrong old man?”

The stranger just stares at him
“Not particularly. It’s quite a lovelly day to be honest.”

Your cousin speaks again, now louder and with less patience
“Move out of the way then. We have no time for idle talk.”

The elderly man does a mocking half-bow and grins a toothless smile
“Of course, of course… but my boss would like a word with the warg first.”

“Who is your boss?” – You ask, steadying your voice so it does not display fear.

The stranger turns his gaze from Rodwin to you.
“A foreigner. Bravoosi. I would tell more but the big man likes his introductions”- he points to a small ship docked on a distant corner of the harbor – “I am sure you recognize that ship.”

Following his finger you catch sight of a familiar vessel: The Bravoosi merchant ship you rescued a few hours ago.
“What does your Boss wants with us?”

The old man shrugs.
“To thank you? To sate his curiosity? No clue. I was just sent here as a messenger…”

“You mentioned a warg before…Not sure what you meant by that.”- Rodwin barges in the conversation once more.

The stranger subtly smirks.
“An orca jumping out of the water and ripping one our bindings off could be considered luck. The same thing happening again two times is a little above the domains of coincidence. Those foreigners on my ship might feel like the Gods themselves send that whale to deliver them from danger… but I am a Northerner. I know whoever saved us is made of flesh and bone. And I know he was somewhere inside your ship.”

Your cousin can not offer a retort. His legs shake ever so slightly, a clear display of anxiety.
Your mind blanks as you think of a way to lead the conversation away from this topic. Half a minute goes by in complete silence.

Fortunately, the Elderly man doesn’t press on the subject. He returns to his usual empty stare and delivers the final offer.
“So should I escort you to my Boss? Not that I am not enjoying our little talk but he is waiting for me back at the ship.”

It wouldn’t hurt to see what this Bravoosi merchant wants so you decide to play along.
“Fine, take us to him”

The Old man nods.
“Good. The ship is this way, I will take you there” – he waves his hand and turns away from you as he starts walking towards the docks

You and Rodwin follow close behind as the elder whistles a strange melody. Once you are in sight of his ship he turns and addresses you once more.
“You lads got names?”

“Jarson Physeter. I am the captain. My first mate here is called Rodwin”- you point to your cousin

The stranger looks you up and down
“Kind of young to be a captain ain’t ya?”

“I am a fast learner” – You shrug – “What is your name Northerner?”

“Bynden. But everyone calls me Young Bryn”- He declares

You raise an eyebrow.
“Young?”

Brynden smirks.
“I was young 40 years ago. Got old but the nickname didn’t go away. Now it’s just part of me”

Rodwin, who has remained silent during the exchange, offers his own inquiry.
“We have your name but we still don’t know what you do. Are you just this Bravoosis messenger?”

Young Bryn expression turns slightly bitter.
“More of an advisor. Maybe a guide. My job is to help the Boss with his dealing in Westeros. He can be quite clueless to the *particularities* of our continent.”

Without warning, Young Bryn resumes walking forcing you and Rodwin to trail behind him again. A minute later the three of you stand in front of the Bravoosi vessel.

You take a brief moment to gaze at the ship. It’s quite a small one as you had noticed from afar. Its crew can’t be larger than half a dozen men. Did this Bravoosi cross the narrow sea and travelled all the way to Lannisport on such a small boat? Regardless, the ship is in fine condition and it’s clearly a luxurious vessel.

As you climb aboard you notice a few sailors. None of them stops your group and you are soon facing the captain’s cabin in the back of the ship.
Young Bryn gazes at you one last time.
“Boss is inside. If you have any final questions now is the time”- He smirks

There is no point in extending this conversation. You would rather spend time talking with the man in charge than listening to any more of Young Bryn‘s monotonous rambling. Having made up your mind, you slowly push the cabin’s door open.

As you enter the first thing you notice is its luxurious interior. The entire room is carved in oak wood with fine Lysene tapestries decorating the floor. The whole room has a sweet smell of incense akin to fresh oranges.

A large maple wood table with cushioned chairs furnishes the back of the cabin, and behind it a large stout man sits with a chalice of wine. He is dressed in rich clothes and sports a elongated moustache with a short beard.

He watches your arrival with curious eyes but waits until both Rodwin and Brynden have followed you inside before speaking.
“Glad to have you back, Young Bryn. Are these the brave men who saved us from those dreadful pirates?”

Brynden just nods. A smile spreads through the man bulbous face and his eyes focuses on you and Rodwin .
“Greetings my friends. My name is Narbo Adon. I am an official of the Iron Bank , currently acting as the bank envoy to the Wersterlands region.”

You feel like this the ideal moment to introduce yourself.
“I am Jarson Physeter and this is my cousin Rodwin Pyke. We hail from the Lonely Light. A pleasure to make your acquaintance”- You do a small courteous bow to end your sentence.

Narbo shoots an inquisitive glance at Young Bryn.
“Lonely Light?”

The old man scratches his beard before answering his employer.
“It’s a remote archipelago, part of the Iron Islands, my lord”

Narbo’s inquisitive expression changes to one of recognition and acknowledgment.
“Oh so these are the famous Ironborns! Come my seafaring friends, take a seat”- The banker motions for you and Rodwin to come closer.

You both walk past the colorful tapestries and each slumps into the fluffy chairs facing Narbo.
The Bravoosi serves you each a glass of wine and then speaks once more.
“First of all I wanted to thank you for the rescue. I was afraid I would never get the chance to properly express my gratitude but luckily we spotted your ship docking on Lannisport and I sent Bryn to fetch you… Though I am curious….Which one of you is the so-called *warg*?”

You turn your head and shoot a angry glance at Brynden. The Northerner shrugs.
“Told the boss about the warg stuff before I left. Wouldn’t be much of a guide if I didn’t.”

Rodwin stomps his foot in indignation. Narbo puts on a friendly smile and reassures you and your cousin
“Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me. We are all friends here”- He folds his hands- “I just need to know who the warg is so I can properly reward him. No doubt all your crew played a part in the rescue but the one controlling the whale was the one who actually saved us, correct?”

Rodwin doesn’t say a word. It seems like he is waiting for your lead:

There is no point in lying now. They already know someone in your crew is a skinchanger, feigning ignorance will only serve to annoy and alienate your host.
“I am the skinchanger.” – You admit.

Narbo’s curious eyes wander to your position. He stares you up and down as if expecting something out of the ordinary. It’s clear he didn’t expect a warg to look like a regular teenager. Eventually he seems to come to terms with your unremarkable appearance and finally speaks.

“Fascinating, young man. You are the first skinchanger I ever met. I thank you once again for saving our hides from those marauders.”- He offers his hand for a handshake, which you politely accept, before continuing – “Tell me, can you control any animal close to you?”

Narbo’s knowledge about skinchangers seems to be very superficial and he can’t hide his excitement when talking to you. You decide to entertain his curiosity a bit.

“I can control some animals. It depends on how wild they are.”- You take a sip from your glass- “It’s really not that special. Your Northern guide can attest that there are hundreds of skinchangers living in Westeros. I am just one of them.”

The Banker seems satisfied with your answer.
“I will be sure to pester Young Bryn about this captivating topic later. But for now let’s discuss your reward”- He taps his fingers along the table- “You saved not only our cargo and ship but potentially all our lives. Let no man say that Narbo Adon is ungrateful to his friends, ask what you desire and, if in my power, I shall do my very best to help you with it.”

The Bravoosi finishes this declaration by pounding his fist on the table dramatically. He eagerly awaits your decision, but warns you to take your time if needed. There is no worry.

You now face the decision of what boon to ask of this foreigner. He is undoubtedly a rich man so you could simply ask for some gold. But he is also member of the Iron Bank so he could likely help you get a very generous loan from the world largest bank. But maybe you could ask for something less tangible? The absence of the Bank on the Iron Islands could be an opportunity…

>ask for gold. It’s simple and clear
>ask for a generous loan with very small interest. You could be granted much more gold this way, enough to seriously impact your House’s economy.
>ask for a job, you will help the Bank get a foothold in the Iron islands as its new representative.
>ask for help tracking whoever attempted to kidnap your sister. Maybe he net of informants could help you with that?
>say you don’t want anything. His thanks and appraisal are already more than enough.

You don’t take long to reach a decision. A loan from the iron bank in the right hands can change the fate of any House. Who knows what your father could accomplish with the right amount of gold?
“ Lord Narbo, since you are a member of the Iron Bank what I request is simply a generous loan so I can improve my home island and keep to its rightful splendor.”

The banker seems slightly surprised by your request. He quickly takes a small notebook from his pockets and start scribbling.

“I can certainly help you with that. We will even give you the *Friends of the Iron Bank Interest Rate*. But first, I will have to travel and evaluate your home island to observe the number of people, enterprises, vessels and herds it contains. Bureaucratic proceedings so we can better assess the value of the loan we can offer you.”

You nod and smile.
“I understand. When do you intend to take such a trip?”

Narbo turns page after page of his little booklet.
“Hmmm I will be busy for a few weeks but I could make the trip next month. And if I can’t, I will send an envoy in my stead. Does that work for you, Jarson?”

“Positive, me and my brother should have returned from our trips by then.”

Upon hearing your confirmation, Narbo drops his booklet on the table and picks a parchment where he starts to vigorously write. He pauses for a bit to ask you a question:
“Are you the one in charge of your House finances? I need the name of the man who deals with the treasury and bookkeeping of your lands for documentation purposes.”

You scratch your head for a bit. You don’t really have a steward so you give the next best answer.
“My father is in charge of the House finances. His name is Hectar Physeter”

Narbo doesn’t even raise his eyes from the parchment and continues moving his pen down the piece of paper. It take two minutes more of incessant writing before he drops his pen. He then folds the parchment and seals it with an Iron bank stamp.

“Alright I have finished your Loan application document. Take that with you. Should I fail to show up in the next few months, send this to the Iron Bank representative in Kings Landing and they will direct you to my successor. This way, even If I am struck by illness or misfortunes, the Iron Bank will be obliged to send a new envoy and evaluate your loan request.”

He hands you the sealed letter and warns you to take extra care of it. That document may very well be your only proof of affiliation with the Narbo Adon and it would be wise to keep it safe.

After a bit of small talk and, further praise of your Warg abilities, and one more glass of wine the Bravoosi judges the meeting concluded and prepares to see you off.

“Jarson. Rodwin. It was a pleasure to host you today. Sadly, I must now excuse myself for I have a lunch meeting in a few minutes. If the Gods will it, we shall meet again in one month back at your home island”

With those words he signals Young Bryn to lead you to back to your ship. On the way back the Northerner doesn’t say a single word. Once you are insight of your vessel, Young Bryn stops on his tracks and yaws.
“You boys can go the rest of the way on your own, right? - He doesn’t seem to need a reply as he starts walking back to his own ship.
“See you in a month, warg.”- Is the last words he says before disappearing into the crowd.

You and Rodwin now stand in the docks entrance. For some reason the area seems to be extra lively than what you would expect. Dozens of armored man walk around and bards sing old Lanister tunes on every corner. Is some sort of festivity afoot?

Your cousin also notices the commotion.
“What do you think it’s going on?”

You just shrug.
“You are the one who has been to Lannisport before. Isn’t this a common occurrence?”

He shakes his head.
“Nah.City is too crowded. Peasants and commoners from the fields are flocking in. Some event is happening today.”

You take a break from watching the enthusiastic crowd of commoners. With your meeting with Narbo concluded, now it’s a good time to plan your next step.
