Sorry for the delay anons, construction work is a bitch but in good news we don't work during weekends!
Now back to the story

>Somewhere in Nevada

You're Rich, a new face in Nevada who has been skyrocketing in fame and infamy within the past week and you're being tailed by someone
It took you a moment to notice it but after taking 3 random turns in the market you confirmed you're being followed by someone in an obvious agent getup who isn't really good at their job since you nearly lost him in the crowd several times if it were not for the fact you had G02LM with you

So what do you do?
Do something so stupid it might as well work!
After finding some small burger place that has a worrying slogan about how they get their mayo and ketchup and order G02LM to wait for you outside you are quick to order a small cheap meal, the agent was oblivious to your intent as they enter and order something for themselves and sitting right behind you…
PERFECT was the only word to fit your plans execution, one unnoticable lob of a bullet on the floor under a waiters foot and all his drinks come spilling over the agent who has now been distracted
You take the moment and leave with utmost speed, take off your mask and upon exit motion G02LM to follow you and to hunch over a bit to lower its profile
It was near flawless except the part some people could easily recognize you but you probably won't be returning in a hopefully long time

You take as much of a B-line for the eastern exit as possible and arrive just in time to see trucks that bore a similar logo to the building you cleared and after some slight questioning confirm its the delivery convoy for the settlement, the trucks are surprisingly well armed and upon a slight question on why they didn't fight back the only response was
Delivery Man: "And what? Damage the goods, the guns are here to scare off and or kill some bandits, they were never meant to be used in other situations."

Well that was that, but you still got to pick a ride to go with and there were a surprisingly big amount of trucks in the convoy, 3 marked under construction materials, one with the equipment, one with the stabilizer drive and… an unmarked truck in the center of the convoy

Which ride do you choose
>Go with one of the material trucks though they may lack space as the main seats are occupied
>Equipment truck, "watch it, that's expensive!"
>S̶t̶a̶b̶i̶l̶i̶t̶y̶ ̶d̶r̶i̶v̶e̶, "Off limits, that's even more expensive"
>Unmarked truck "boss says you can go in that one, might show some nice surprises for the settlement as he said"

The mystery behind the unmarked truck and Oswells permission to enter it peaked your interest so you decided to take a ride in it
What you found did peak your interest a lot, mainly that there were a bunch of crates around in the back and a peace if paper that lists the things inside

----------------------------------------------------------
Smiths co wares
Purchase by Brian "Rook" Oswell
Wares listed below:
-1 Class one Magnified human grade colt 1911 pistol
-3 Class one magnified human grade pistol magazines pre filled with ammo
-4 Remington shotguns
-4 G36 bullpup rifles
-8 M3 Grease guns
-1 M2 .50 caliber machine gun
-a crate of 30 Frag grenades

Total costs: 4560 Bullets worth
----------------------------------------------------------

Damn thats a lot of firearms for this, also a gun for Bigs, if anything he will be holding a god damn cannon by the size of the crate with the same listed name
Outside of that there are some crates of more building materials and some fuel cans

It didn't take long for the convoy to arrive back at Cretin town, it was a boring but safe ride

Oswell was waiting for you at the arrival point with quite a neutral expression
Oswell: "Heard the sods had a kill team as backup, didn't think someone that high on the shitlist would know about this, i did a lot to cover my dealings with smiths co…" he takes a deep sigh "Anyways without further ado the delivery team will carry off most of the regular equipment to the planned construction zone, not to worry i'll have some militiamen guard them for the time being, as for you your payment for the job should be waiting at the scav base, you're free to go until some proper defenses are constructed at the settlement"

And with that he leaves off to talk with the Delivery teams Boss
You don't skip a beat and go to scav base to pick up your payment [+100 smg ammo, +50 Rifle ammo]
After that's all done you begin planning what to do for today

What do?
>Go check if the scavs are back to scouting out for anomalies and loot or not
>Go explore the market and see what's up for sale

You decided some proper armor for your big buddy would be very useful so you found a nice old ruined building somewhere close to the slums and began doing measurements
You decided to make some proper armor and spent several hours planning it out and then making it
You used up all your leather and metal sheets on this but it was worth it
It's a fully covering heavy armor set covering him entirely, the helmet having a shape resembling your own skull mask
[-2 leather,-7 metal sheets]

Gained custom G02LM armor:
-Heavy metal armor set [20 armor HP, automatically ignore damage from low caliber weaponry and smaller hollow points unless it's a crit]
-Heavy metal skull helmet [10 armor hp, automatically ignore damage from low caliber weaponry and smaller hollow points unless it's a crit]

The G02LM doesn't really anything about the armor outside random grunts as it tests out the weight
Really you should probably give it a name

Would Clayton be able and proficient enough to throw spear or utilize a giant crossbow? I'm trying to think up of a money saving method for rangee weapons for our big guy. If the spears or crossbow bolts are thick enough, I think they might be reusable. Could we use cheaper materials than scrap metal sheets, or does it have to be the metal sheets?
>>
>>4922536
He can use spears and crossbows just fine but shooting at anything longer than close range is gonna be a problem, he has 5 dex and i don't remember if he has 0 or 5 awareness...
>>
>>4922536
Grenades, but Rocks if you want for free.
>>
>>4922536
Yes he should be able to use that form of weaponry both spears and crossbows thrown by him would be flying death but nothing comparable to bigs chucking a rebar
Note that throwables count your strenght check based on distance combined with dex
>>4922554
He has 10 awe actualy
>>
>>4922602
>He has 10 awe actually
The perks of being a security golem. I bet having him on overwatch to help scan rooms can be fruitful going into future ops where he's with us.
>>
>>4922602
Fuck yeah then can we just straight up just buy some rebar, or find some next time we go scavenging? That would save us the trouble of having to buy actual spears when throwing rebar would be just as good. If we want to continue down the ghetto route, we could try making a rebar club, like in Fallout New Vegas.
>>
>>4922864
What if we just got him a quiver full of sharpened rebar? Let him throw metal javelins.
That sounds terrifying actually.

You decide the most fitting name would be Clayton, something just feel right about it

On the other hand you have to check out Bigs and the others, it's been a while since you paid them a visit and you're meant to be their intermediate or whatever
You decided to bring the gaming console this time, always could use some fun activities
You pinged Bigs a message asking them where they are currently spending their time, surprisingly enough they are in some spare warehouse no one was using that had some furniture added, you noted down the location and went to pay them a visit

The warehouse wasn't a big one but it was enough for bigs and his group of other mutants to reside in, on another note one of the furniture bigs didnt list was a fully functional tv playing mucked up news from around nevada, mostly NMR reports about scar aggression on their borders, some news about political tension rising between Khanis and the Wiz Biz council over a rouge improbable using undead hordes to try and destroy Cretin town, Khanis commanded the militia men and scav forces at cretin town for their brave defense of the town, there were also some NMR reports of NERD activity at north corner of the I field border, not much else after that

Bigs talked about how the residents of the town were way nicer than he had expected, but it was fairly nice, he had nothing much to say outside thanking you for helping with the delivery issue and being their intermediate
He was interested at the info that he is getting a gun of his own
Outside of that he mentions that hands has been training how to use guns more properly with some militia men and scavs and had been waiting for you to come by in case you brought the console
True to his words Hands was there when you were checking the news feed on the tv, you brought the console over and hooked it up to the tv, it worked and you spent quite a while playing the Deathzone co op campaign
Though after that was finished in quite a record time with how hands practically somehow speedran the slow paced grit of the game

-Bigs group reputation amongst cretin town factions has risen a lot
-Hands is scary when he plays games

You had to go anyways so you left after saying your goodbyes to the others
You did get a ping from Bill that scouts should be returning to work tomorrow

What do?
>Go scouting for lootables yourself
>Time to visit the market
>Slums sound like a nice place to whack an idiot (Small encounter)
>Craft (you lack materials)

You can make a combo of choices instead of doing them one by one, helps me churn out bigger updates for when i can't do longer sessions, and you can thank a background dice roll near softcritting on Bigs group situation

You decide to check what's being sold at the market and find quite a good few merchants that pique your interest
Material salesman:
-1 leather piece-10 pistol bullets [9 in stock]
-1 metal sheet-15 pistol bullets [16 in stock]
-1 spare circuitry-20 pistol bullets [1 in stock]

Gun salesman [buying and selling]
Buying:
-M4A1- will pay 80 bullets worth per rifle
-Swens DB- will pay 60 bullets for it
-MP5- will pay 70 bullets for it
-beretta 92- He is not interested in pistols
Selling:
-AK-47- 60 bullets per rifle [3 in stock]
-KSG- 70 bullets for it
-Alar 91 smg- 40 bullets
-MP40- 60 bullets per smg [2 in stock]

There was also some strange figure offering to sell quite important
Shady person:
-map that leads to a specific part of the city- 200 bullets worth
-A N.E.R.D. access card which has the number 2 written on it- 500 bullets worth

Your current total bullet worth:
873 Total worth
shotgun sabots are 3 bullets worth due to specialized ammo

>write a shopping list

After that's all done and finished you decided to go scouting in the I-zone itself
A couple hours later you find yourself cursing the past you for not asking advice because this place is nothing but a loopty land of physics not working correctly and jumping from rock to rock though you did end up noting down some things of interest

-Some floating warehouse fused to multiple giant rocks, you have no idea what's inside but the screeching didn't sound friendly
-some form of cave that had horrid mutant nonsensical flying creatures living in it
-A temple, an actual temple siphoning some form of blood red mist river from midair, there seems to be activity around the place but couldn't get close enough to see what it was this rolled a 1 on danger :)

idk what do you mean by that, the KSG is a Tactical shotgun, a straight upgrade from our current shotgun, if you mean the makeshift rifle from the gun merchant from last thread that also offeered the autocannon then no, i don't remember buying any gun from him

Quickly checking the KSG you bought at the market before you decide to go loot the not so abandoned warehouse
Upon mostly climbing up to the place with a couple helpful tosses from G02LM you find upon closer inspection that its literally just the warehouse itself with no other buildings and one of the smaller side doors is open… and it has a group of armed charred looking skeletons with redder eyes guarding it, making this much more dangerous but still doesn't answer what's making the screeching inside

Upon further scouting you find there is a ladder that leads to the windows of the warehouse on one of the sides which is unguarded, there are several holes in the wall that can barely fit a person and the screeching noises come from the deeper part of the warehouse and it only happens when flashing lights happen inside

What's your plan of entry?

You tried to do the skeleton control trick while using the strange amulet… It didn't go so well since now the skeletons (which you realized are revenants) instead of standing around are looking around as if looking for you which is probably the case
You instead of standing just there opt to go behind to the ladder from before with Clayton leading the way, surprisingly he made very little noise while sneaking even while climbing an old rusted ladder
Upon reaching the top you managed to get a look through the window

First there are catwalks immediately inside through the window that overlook the entire inside of the warehouse but offer no cover
Second there seems to be some dark floaty shadowy skeleton waving its hands around commanding a whole lot of the revenants to guard entry ways of the warehouse
Third there are multiple skeletons climbing up the inside stairway up to the catwalk
Fourth the Dark floaty skeleton is just equipped with welding equipment and floating next to a undead mag that has metal welded to its very flesh, you found the source of the screams

How do you proceed?

i think it depends, if it looks too shadowy/incorporeal then don't, it could be made of shadow flesh or sumthing and we woulds waste our shot even if it could hurt it, if it's just black with shadowy wisps then we should shoot it, not only magic skeletons tend to be more inteligent but it also can fucking fly

Imediately ducking low and moving to the window closest to the stairway with Clayton following suit you wait for the skeletons
It didn't take long for three of to them arrive and lucky enough none of them saw you or clayton, right after the passed the window you were behind you jump behind them machete in hand, one swift stab to the back of the skull to the one in the back and quickly on the move to attack the other two, one was already in the middle of a turn when you plunged the machete right between its sockets, the last one was about to aim and fire its gun at you, unfortunately for it as it was standing right next to a window and never noticed Clayton grab its head and crush it
Though this did somehow alert five other skeletons to start climbing up, thinking fast you notice another entry point at the end of the catwalk right behind the stairs, quickly entering you find yourself in a small hallway lined with windows looking at the dark gray pits below and the blood red sky above, though this was no time for sightseeing you immediately head down the hallway while keeping an eye behind you, at the end there was another door which just led to the catwalk on the other side of the warehouse
Looking over to the other side you can see the skeletons splitting up, three to explore the catwalk and two heading towards the hallway, you didn't waste a second and went down the stairs, there was a single skeleton there which you snuck up on and stabbed through the head, sneaking among the crates you finally get close enough to see the shadowy skeleton proper
It wasn't really shadowy but rather it had a black smoke flowing out of its pitch black sockets that floated around its body

You have a perfect shot lined on it, but do you shoot?

Pulling the KSG's trigger you let a slug fly through the air towards the skeleton
However you weren't expecting it to move so fast out of the way

???: "Fool, you fell righ-" it didn't even get a chance as a second slug flew right through its throat decapitating it and as its torso and decapitaed skull fell to the ground some of the skeletons on the catwalk just froze
For a second you thought it was over but then the monstrosity that was laying on the ground starts slowly proping itself up

All right writing update, clayton is the G02LM you aquired on a run, bigs is still at Cretin town with his group
>>
Your immediate response is to backpedal and start firing shots at the monstrosity tearing holes in the armor with the sabots mostly angering the bloody thing
And now that its standing fully upright it's about the same size as bigs and has begun rushing towards you at alarming speeds
Quickly thinking you fire several shots into its feet as you turn tail and run as fast as you can while keeping track of how fast it chased you
You were going to call out for help from Clayton but he wasn't anywhere near you
For a second you thought you were abandoned until clayton suddenly dropped from the catwalk on top of the zombie mags head and plunged a pipe into a loose sheet of metal and pulled with all his strength ripping open a huge hole both in the armor and the things skull, he immediately jumped off pipe in hand when the mag tried to grab him
That bought you enough time to load in some more shells which you immediately let loose into the back of the thing head which only angered it more, though it worked as it completely forgot clayton and turned its attention to you, then it picked up a crate and threw it at you
You jump to the side, the crate barely missing you
It was about to go charging again until claying started climbing onto it again this time grabbing by whatever was left of the plating on its head and pulling it while pushing against its body with his feet, tore it right off
With the new massive opening made in its head you unload a hail of buckshot into the hole
Finally it fell over dead, lucky it didn't fall on Clayton
[-9 sabots,-5 buckshot]

After taking a breather to enjoy the bit of silence as the undead giant lays deader on the floor, but you didn't get to enjoy it much as you start hearing a loud amount of cursing and yelling from the center of the warehouse

Upon investigating you find a smokey skull jittering on the floor cursing and screaming until you pick it up and look it in the face

???: "You mortal barbaric outsider asshole! Do you know how much effort I put into killing it the first time? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT WILL TAKE ME TO GET A NEW BODY NOW THAT I'M JUST A SKULL! You have put months worth of work into the dumpster by coming here like the curious outsider you are! GAH!'' It continues berading and insulting you about all the wrongs you committed against it

Sorry about the lack of updates, got cought up in some irl beurocracy bullshit, will make the loot + QnA update soon
>>
After finding a peace of paper to somehow muffle the skeleton for a short bit you go looting around the very dilapidated warehouse. Most of the great loot came from the dead revenants.

Loot:
-137 rifle ammo
-130 smg ammo
-70 pistol ammo
-7 slugs
-8 buckshot
-2 AK-47s
-3 grease guns
-2 single barrel shotguns
-3 PPK pistols
-2 M1911s
-2 HP brownings
-4 metal sheets
-8 spare circuitry
-3 High grade circuitry
-A book labeled 'Madness and other nevadan resources!'

What a great haul but currently you have another thing to worry about
Removing the paper from the skulls jaw you are immediately being berated by the skeletons annoying voice
"Shut up!"
???:"Why should i you stupid outsider!"
"Maybe the fact i can fill your skull full of holes or let Clayton over there give you a squeeze" you turn him towards clayton who is currently cracking his knuckles
After a couple of seconds of silence the skull speaks but with a now way meaker voice
??:"Uhhhhhhh, sure… What do you want to know exactly…"
"First of all why are you alive"
???: "Bweh, of course an outsider doesn't know things here in the Land of improbability is, I am a lich, I am very hard to kill… well supposedly very hard to kill…"
"What's your name"
???:"Bleh, why would i tell an outsider my name" you shove your thumbs into its sockets "GAH! ITS TERRY! ITS TERRY!" you dislodge your thumbs from its socket
"Well Terry time for the main part of the questioning! What were you doing with the revenants and the zombie mag?"
Terry:"What every denizen of this shithole wants, to establish some of their own power and get some reputation, obviously i wouldn't dare try messing with the shades or any of the other big heads of the improbable but i'd have enough to get some better equipment and get a proper lair… Well would have if you didn't just come in here and ruin everything!" You flick it in the forehead to make it shut up while not understanding half of what it said
"Next question, are you affiliated with the Wiz Biz gang?"
Terry:"What now gang, is that supposed to be some silly outsider faction?"
"And what was that all about a trap before?"
Terry:"Well, i didn't expect someone to try and forcefully take control off my revenants so i was on alert, i noticed some of my revenants disappeared on the catwalk, i noticed you and tried to bait you into an ambush… but as you can see i didnt forsee you firing a second shot so fast"

After finishing the questioning you shove a piece of paper into its mouth and ponder what to do with him
>Smash his skull

>>
>>4941350
Chronologically, probably not. He's part of the second edition of the GOL#M series, which means he's relatively recent.

He might be bigger, and shit, he might be older biologically, but he's younger chronologically and that's what matters.
>>
>>4941051
the virgin MAG vs the chad GOLEM
>>
>>4940681
I'm going to assume rifle ammo uses bigger bullets compared to pistols and can travel further. Could one of the AK's be retooled to fit in Clayton's hands? Removal of trigger guard, slightly longer trigger, longer barrel, longer hand guard, bigger stock, readjusted iron sights?

I know how to make a single action shotgun mag friendly for Clayton
https://youtu.be/hNIkca8k1UQ
Because he's bigger, the extra barrel mod could be extended as well i.e. more capacity. It's like a really ghetto equivalent of a leaver action shotgun. However....we do have two single a room shotguns. Could we do this too?
https://youtu.be/0ZDa75MAcsY

BTW I'm voting to head back into to town to start modding all this shit to hell.

>>
>>4940681
Can we take the mags metal mask with us? Could it fit on Bigs?
>>
lets keep him for now. use him as a bait or meat shield for the exploration of another scouted out places. might as well see what we can do with Terry.

worst case scenario we can just kill him before he tries something. or let clayton smash him into pieces. either or
>>
>>4942485
Y not keep it simple and give him like some flintlock or single shot pistols or blunderblusses.
>>
>>4942572
It's not a flintlock. Those things take significantly longer to load. Blunderblusses included. We could just modify it to be a one shot mag sized pistol, but would you personally want to carry around a pistol that shot one bullet before needing to reload, or eight?
Plus giving him an adjusted AK gives him some extra options in regards to ranged combat, I think rifles boolet are more accurate than slugs too.
>>
>>4942485
honestly i would rather pay the gun artisan in town to make the modifications, we have the money to pay him but we don't have the perks to not botch it

>>4942488

>>
>>4942622

>>4942728
Not all the time. Some time you need half a dozen more to get the job done. Considering how Clayton has a Bo2 roll system going for him, I figure requiring less time to reload would be to his own benefit.

>>4942733
>upsized AK
Instead of just modify an AK we already have? But that would cost more money, plus the bullets are expensive.
>>
>>4942838
Its gonna be unwieldy for Clay unless we heavily modify it. By then we would be better off upsizing it.
>>
>>4942851
Not really. All you'd need to do is build a frame over the AK to make it Mag friendly. I dont see why you think it would be unwieldy when you could just modify it so its not.
>>
Sorry for no updates anons, irl hit like a brick recently im blaming the qm curse

>>
>>4942940
Plus i love all the clayton equipment talk
Note modified trigger guards would work, he is a G02LM so he is only slightly larger than average, like a head taller compared to bigs who is grunt squared with claw nails, ill take this bit of time i have to make a shitty edit of sizes
>>
>>4942851
>>4942860
modifying mid sized weapons like rifles, shotguns and machineguns shouldn't be very troublesome but i have doubts about doing it ourselves, but maybe i am just being a cheapstake or rather i am confused about the prices, we don't know how much it costs for a gun crafter to modify one of our rifles or shotguns but we also have some surplus weapons so even if we mess it and lose a gun it wouldn't be much problem, also Clayton isn't technically a MAG, MAGs are x2 x3 and so on persons worth of size, Clayton is comparable to slightly big mutant in terms of size(what we could have choosen when we got to pick mutations on thread #1) but the size of his hands still means he needs to get slightly modified equipment because his fingers are too big for small triggers
>>
>>4942947

but i also worry if bringing to man mutants would put us in trouble with Khanis(the leader of the territory we are at), mutants theorically consume more food due to different body sizes, natural weaponery requiring biomass to function and them being melee fighters, besides all that they are mostly under Greg's(the mutant territory leader) jurisdiction and this could be further worsensed if it's known we have good mutations and our lack of background and high skills would make us look like an Elite spy from Greg

Well, we didn't do it solo-solo... But if the PDA can take pictures, maybe we can take a selfie or something with all the Revenants and the zombie mag

Also, are there banks in Cretin Town or something? Because with all the bullets we have I'm imagining Rich's room in the motel that one you open the door a fuckton of bullets just coming out and fill his feets. So yeah, we should take all that to a bank or find a permanent place to stay and keep all the things we won't need while scavaging

softcrit on scouting, finishing my write
>>
Tying up Terry in some short small rope you managed to find you attach him to the side of your hip. There is some protest but that's easily solved by stuffing more paper in his jaw

After taking all the loot you start going in the direction of where you remember the bat thing cave being. It took you some time with the constant rock hopping and the shifty gravity but you arrived a great distance from it to prepare to do some scouting

After several minutes of sneaking around climbing rocks you managed to note down several things about the cave
>there are multiple entryways, the big main cave entrance the creatures enter and exit through, and a back entrance under the cave with no activity
>The creatures are numerous, can fly, but look frail, they are also bringing random junk into the cave, but you did see a crate labeled N.E.R.D. on it
>There are a lot of large rocks around the outside of the cave providing cover

How do you approach this?

How do you get different classes of MAG? Do they just go through the same treatment multiple times?
>>
>>4943812
I dont see this being much of an issue. We can just do a soft advertisement that we got a friendly mutant community, and I'm not sure about the food. They could need more, they could need less, it could depend on a lit of things.

>>4943868
>Write-In a plan
Go back home and get some gear upgraded first.
Go to the scaves and see who wants to go looting with us.
>>
>>4943868
>Ask terry if he recognizes these things

May as well, right?
>>
>>4943949
as far as i remember in the original series the treatment was a one time thing and the bigger MAGs were just made with a better version of the MAGification process, hence why in the wiki they are listed as V1 V2 and so on MAG versions, but here the QM mentioned that one could become a natural MAG via mutagen via the Enchanced Biostructure mutation line that we had a chance to get in thread 1, other mutations also have upgraded versions, i imagine that the next step of our bone armor would be fully encasing us on bone and then increasing the bone density making us inmune to pistol bullets, it is interesting how there are many possible ways to enchance ourselves
>>
>>4943961
And just as many ways to fuck ourselves up
>>
>>4943969
Not with stable mutagens. But you are right, if we get cocky/greedy and use an unstable one, we could end up lookking like a villian from the Mutant Ninja Turtles. Better to be cautious and take the slow route.
>>
>>4943961
I personally want to max out the bone armour, get the enhanced biostructure and max it (without becoming a MAG), get the mustard blood and then get a max MAG. By that point, we'll probably have other stuff, like our own merc gang (the skelegang), enough resources to get high quality MAG armour and weapons, necromancy, etc. Also anything that gives us more endurance and regen is fine.
>>
>>4943978
i am wary of upgrading our bone armor due to while being a very good upgrade it would also clearly mark us a mutant, the biostructure upgrade would probably make us Clayton sized but clayton gets more strenght and some END from that mutation becuase he was lab designed and optimized, we would only get 5 strength, personally i want the ATP enchancement(mustard blood) before becoming a MAG, besides that i think Terry could help us with the Necromancy thing, in exchange for not bashing his skull in and leaving somewhere far from Khanis territory once we're done, he would teach us how to properly necromance things
>>
>>4943988
I think we could even end up in neutral terms with Terry if we get him a new, more powerful body (and a bigger group of skeles and Revenants) after he teaches us all he knows about necromancy (don't tell him so he teaches us everything for real), specially if we stop trating him like an item and treat him like spme normal dude we just met. We seem to be decent enough for that kind of thing, so it's not trutly OOC, and if he decides to kill us, we can be ready beforehand and kill him for good perhaps with a bomb to be sure.
>>
>>4943988
It would probably be best to travel into Wizlad territory to learn magic from them, rather than some off brand necromacer like Terry.
>>
>>4943999
On the other hand, the Wiz lads are as dangerous as this random enemy we defeated and that hates us, amd ulike Terry, they ask for a payment. They are wizards, they have no sense of right and wrong, only fun. At least with Terry we know he will eventually fuck us over, so we can prepare and kill him.
>>
>>4944007
From what I can reacall of the first Thread, QM said that the WizBoyz are like "Oh, you have NO magic? Fuck off homeboy, I'm trying to take a two-headed rabbit from this hat"
>>
>>4944007
That's not a compelling argument for getting Terry to teach us magic when he will be actively trying to either fuck us over or escape.
>>
>>4943999
>off brand necromacer
mate, he not only felled a MAG but also raised it as a Zombie and knew how to soldier armor to it, besides that he has been living for some time on the I zone from what we can gather, so if anyhtin he's more of a combat necromancer that the guy that led the Horde to CT, besides that the Wiz bois were somewhat zealous with their magic iirc so getting them to tell us their secrets sounds like a hassle, we could probably buy things in the black market or make some missions to get cred and thus better things but it sounds overly complicated compared to just having Terry an actual necromance with field experience to teach us directly

What is the largest theoretical size of MAG?

4? 5?

10?
>>
>>4944352
highest possible is 10 but most MAGs are between 1-4 iirc, Bigs is a class 1 and the Zombie MAG and the Skinless giant from the facility we took clayton from are between 1 and 2, from class 4 and on i think it's impossible to kill a MAG unless you exhangine them or make holes the size of a canonball on their skulls or chest via an autocanno, explosives or ripping parts of them with superhuman strenght like clayton did with the Zombie MAG, there's just too much meat and their biology is augmented to screw the square cube law, so wounds that would be mortal on their relative size to someone normal sized like a needle in the brain (a 9mm for a MAG), become less mortal provided that they can recover later

Loot:
-137 rifle ammo
-130 smg ammo
-70 pistol ammo
-7 slugs
-8 buckshot
-2 AK-47s
-3 grease guns
-2 single barrel shotguns
-3 PPK pistols
-2 M1911s
-2 HP brownings
-4 metal sheets
-8 spare circuitry
-3 High grade circuitry
-A book labeled 'Madness and other nevadan resources!'
What should we do with all this fat loot? Condense our fans and create the skelegang faction, then give them our excess guns? Give some of the guns to the few mutants that can use them? Sell them for more bullets? When should we read the book?
>>
>>4945414
first check to see if there's other gangs, ripper has a group iirc but idk if it's common, also i said it before but the mutant settlement has lots of guns as you can see on the 5th QM post on this thread, finally i wanna talk a bit with Terry, he doesn't seem that bright so we should be capable to tell if he wants us to see his book or not by his reactions, if it's the former i suspect that is paranormally-boobytrapped so in that case we blackmail Terry to tell us how to necromance a bit or we sell his book on the cheap, we could probably get more if we waited or got a contact but the point is to make Terry think his 'glorious knowledge' is gonna end thrown in a storage for who knows how long or used as a paperweight rather than being put to good use, it entirely depends on Terry's reactions
>>

>What should we do with all this fat loot?

We already have to share our loot with them every time you guys string them along, why do we have to gift MORE of our shit?
>When should we read the book?
Before going to sleep
>>
>>4946143
Okay so we probably should sell the excess. What should we do with our hundreds of bullets? Buy more stabile mutations to share between us and Clayton? Offer surgeries to help some of the less benefited mutants? Get an armored car?
>>
>>4946153
We are pretty limited to whatever they are selling in the market, we could buy the NERD card I guess, or save our bullets until we change to a bigger, more interesting location to buy things from.
>>
>>4946195
maybe we should see if there's people that teach their skills(perks) for a certain sum, also start seeing on what can we mod or get some gadgets, apart from that idk what we should get, we literally have some of everything, we already have
>armor
>guns and bullets gallore
>tons of food and moding/misc resources
>metabolism boosters for emergency healing
>>
>>4946209
Apparently the PDA we currently have is of a cheap variant. Maybe we could buy some higher end one.
We could also choose to donate some of our bullets into making the Mutant settlement more cozy, then permanently moving in there so we don't have to pay rent, maybe do a slight upgrade by putting solar panels on the roof.
>>
>>4946209
I like those ideas.
We've been here for like three days, we are well off but we still got way to go to honor our namesake. Just look at the more expensive stuff we could buy, they would leave a big hole in our wallet.
>>
>>4946220
We're wearing a military grade vest and wearing a metal mask. That's the basics for armor for us, and Clayton is built like a steel shit house with all the armor he's wearing.

>>4946209 this guy's idea for hiring tutors sounds ideal. We just mod weapons to fit Clayton's hands, the tutors, the perks, maybe a better PDA.
>>
You decided that the cave was not worth the risk and went back to Cretin town. It took some time to find the boarder but you found it and finally with the pda signal back you went to town
Upon arrival the town was in the usual kind of activity as if the horde attack never happened. You did get a few odd glances from some folk mainly looking at Terry who was silent the whole time
You did get a ping from Oswell that the stabilizer building has been built and soon the residence you will be staying at will be also finished, there is also a detailed report about volontiers from the scavs who want to help with the settlement, most were Boneheads who heard you were involved

After reading it all you start planning what to do

>Visit someone/place (who/where)
>Go back to looting
>Use Madnet 4grunt threads to gather info (if chosen luck roll will be made)

Going to the market was of no luck this time, most of the interesting merchants are gone outside of the material salesman who is somewhat low on wares
Material merchant sells:
-1 leather piece-10 bullets worth [3 in stock]
-1 metal sheet-15 bullets worth [5 in stock]

If buying anything do a write-in
>write-in

Though after that you decide visiting the marked location of the cretin town map you bought from the shady merchant a while back might be worth something and it sure was worth it
What you found was an empty dead end alleyway with a manhole to the sewers. Thinking ahead you entered to be met with some guns pointed at your face and some questions about how you found this place, after you told them about the merchant and giving them the map they let you pass and tell you to not cause any trouble
A couple of minutes of exploration revealed a whole underground black market with dealings of rare and illegal goods across the many merchants, many small to big Cretin town underground contractors, bounty hunters, hackers and more!

Doing a quick look over the goods being sold in the black market you can mostly see things that could get you in trouble if seen using, some of those things include a merchant selling experimental nerd weapons, someone selling drugs, an organ salesman and a stolen access card and security code seller

When you got a good look of all the goods you decide to check the the strange underground bar with a bounty board and interesting people inside
You checked the board first, most of it is somewhat small paying jobs for killing people to straight up convoy raid operations, you will need to look what jobs there are here but you decide to check out the other people in the bar
The only ones that stood out to you:
-A scarred man wearing an eyepatch sitting in one of the corner tables reading over his PDA
-A main in a suspiciously clean business suit sitting at a table drinking some cocktail
-A shadowy individual waiting in the shadows, looks like an idiot with all the dark clothes he wears
-An awfully cheerful fat man talking about investments and needing muscle

Overall this place feels like the city usually does except they sell illegal goods and offer morally questionable jobs

the first goal imo should be gattering resources both normal like guns, ammo, materials and food and special ones like the book, the fossil and the metabolic enchancers, next on the list is allies, we are pretty good and we have clayton to take care of brute force if needed, but we can't be everywhere, Bigs group and the skelegang are pretty fine but we also need some contacts so we can get things we might need without the need to do a side-quest each time, after that we need to Git Gud via tutors, another mutation, figuring out how to use the Fossil and plain old training to get some combat perks, finally we need to know wtf is going on with us, IC we know we had the zombie anhilitation episode, the knowledge injection and the odd dream after the fact, our best bet on that front is investigating the I-zone, something that Terry can help us with, overally we need control of our life and to achieve that we need continue improving ourselves and get power, ideally without causing more trouble for us

Big Lary: "Excellent, i was actually looking for some more experienced guns for hire in my upcoming plans, but why keep you in the dark, here are some jobs i have to offer"

-There is a small storehouse that recently got taken over by some gangers from the slums, i would have called the militia to deal with them but the contents of the warehouse are less than legal- rewards: 100 bullets worth, +rep with Big Lary, +rep with ???
-There is a new rising ganger in the slums whose rise is not for the best interest of my employers, they require him removed from the board- +200 bullets worth, +rep with Big Lary, +rep with ???

After thats all done you go to the black market to see what is up for sale

-Pulse pistol prototype- 220 bullets worth
He claims the pistol requires no ammo and only needs to recharge but does not specify how and the power required

Next is a filthy fellow selling different packagings of many labeled narcotics which you don't recognize
-Mad dust (common)- 20 BW per unit [20 in stock]
-Shadow leaves (common)-20 BW per unit [10 in stock]
-CTM brand battle stim (Rare)- 50 BW per unit [3 in stock]
-Circus pie (Rare)-80 BW per unit [1 in stock]

-A list of the most common nerd Container Box codes (stim, muta, weapon,ect.)- 150 BW
-A chip that adds several new hacking options to your PDA- 400 BW

-smg bullets are equal to pistol bullets just due to being very similar
-shotgun and rifle bullets are worth 2 pistol bullets
-Machine gun bullets are worth 4 pistol bullets

You quickly go do some modifications to the 2 AKs you found by simply modifying the trigger guard to be larger so clayton can use them
Created:
-2 AK-47s (Trigger guard mod, G02LM size)
Immediately equipped by clayton!

When you load up both AK mags you head out to the slums
Following the info you go to a run down abandoned motel that has been taken over by gangers who all seem to wear similar clothing and insignia and you did see the target wonder into the building, god that underbite does make him look stupid

Anyways due to the clustered nature of the slums here there is only the front and back entrances which both have guards, though the back door only has 3 goons stationed there, the front gate however leads straight into a parking lot full of goons, crates and dismantled cars

How do you approach this
>Go in guns blazing (Loud option)

State that your Lunatic Rich and we're taking over the gang. Most of then might of seen us in the defense on the city, most know we're very dangerous and heavily armed. They can fight us, but they definitely will not survive.

>>
Rolled 48 + 24 (1d100 + 24)

>>4954415
So if we are doing this stealthy then Clayton has to stay behind. Or trust him with his 5 awe to pass the roll
>>
Rolled 97 + 24 (1d100 + 24)

>>4954415
Big question is if we take Clayton with us to sneak.

sneaking is about timing more than anything else, wich is the Awe, the Dex comes when you need to walk silently, these are goons not elite guards or even professional guards so Clayton shouldn't have any problem following our lead, also he has 10 Awe, but he does have only 5 Dex

A softcrit, thats 2 out 5 for stealth counter
Writing!

The back entrance was the easiest option to take, you leave clayton behind in case shit goes south
The 3 guards at the back were oblivious to your approach, you cleave ones head in half, the second didn't even have a chance to respond and the third looked through the gate only to get stabbed through the face with a machete
After moving the corpses you stealthly walk around avoiding patrolling guards till you managed to reach scaffolds that lead to the upper floor, you actually found the window to the room the Gang leader was, completely oblivious tapping away on his PDA posting

Wat do?
>Try to sneak inside to kill him with the machete
>Shoot him through the window
>Write-in

Wont be writing an update
But i made a joke thread image for the time being

Very accurate
>>
>>4955788
assuming there's a keyboard smash when he dies we should make a post using his PDA.

Like:

>Implying your gang is anythbmnzbcgnmzfgnESGDBFz

Lmao, this guy's stupid

You slowly and carefully open the window to make no noise, upon entering you hit the floor face first, upon quickly rising up in panic you see him still tapping away at his PDA murmuring about "those dumbasses downstairs"
You stared at him shock for a second and then just decided to walk up to him and jam your machete through the back of his head, he stiffens up for a moment before just collapsing on the floor, the pda survived the fall
After quickly checking every nook and cranny in the room you managed to get some things
Gained:
-47 pistol bullets
-a book on engineering

After that you grab his PDA from the floor looking for info but all thats on is a page of 4grunts where he was bragging about his new gang for several posts, you quickly use his pda to snap a picture of his corpse and post on the thread

>Brag about how great my gang is
>Hear loud slam behind me in the room
>assume its from downstairs
>shank.png
>MFW pic related

Well that was fun but you don't have time to wait for yous as you hear multiple footsteps heading upstairs quite quickly

Wat do?
>Stealth out the window and leave
>Prepare to gun them down

Damn you should have posted that earlier, it would have been funny.

Opting for a fight is not worth it. You quickly lock the door and escape through the window, run down the scaffolds and exit through the back gate. You are quick to yell for Clayton to follow as you leave the area. Not even a few minutes later while you were exiting the slums you get a ping from Big Lary thanking you on the completed job and gives you the location of a dead drop where you will find your jobs pay

After reaching the inner part of the city and finding the dead drop in a neat little cardboard box you collect your rewards and are quite surprised that they paid in full on bullets and not in bullet worth. Also theres a tiny note
-20 Hollow point slugs
-20 Slugs
-10 Sabot slugs
-50 pistol bullets
-60 smg bullets
-40 rifle bullets
-A Thank you notice from Cretin Town Meat for getting rid of a malignant little ganger (junk, thrown away)

After taking all the munitions you head back to thinking, outside of starting to feel a bit tired you consider what to do
>Return to run
>Go to the Market
>Check out (pick known CT location/group)
>Book a room at Softtoof's and get some sleep [-8 bullet worth]
