It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 749 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized actoss the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 51 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Kars and Tanya battled after the young soldier was sneak attacked by the wannabe Kai, both showing off their divine power before Karn interfered. Kars then showed off his transformation, revealing he had copied the Super Saiyan form! But before that fight could reach any sort of resolution the Supreme Kai himself appeared, stopping the battle and apologizing to Tanya. Then Karn, after suiting up decided to investigate the hole Tanya’d blasted into the ground, discovering it travels all the way down to an underground cavern and lake. Which was occupied by an undead M’lurnian, and after a brief battle with it’s dark magic the Rak’kari, the underwater crab people arrived and explained it’s history. And after putting the poor creature out of it’s misery, you once more went on to judge a cooking competition between two of Silver’s apprentices. But as we rejoin Karn and his family, who’re eating their breakfast, you realized that Chilli’s somehow here!

“Wait, Chilli?” you think to your firstborn son, who immediately turns towards you. “When did you get here?”
“Just after everyone walked in.” he answers, also telepathically. “Raven told me she needed help sealing some sort of hole?”
“Yeah, about that.” you start, when suddenly another of your kids realizes Chilli’s here.
“Chilli? CHILLI!!” Caulifla shouts, turning and diving atop her brother. Catching him by surprise, she knocks him clean over onto the floor. “You’re back!”
“Wait, Chilli?!” Meloka asks, sounding more shocked than everyone else as your family all turn around towards him. The next several minutes everyone’s asking him what he’s been up to, you finding out he and Megumin have actually been busy building their own home at the edges of the Crimson Demon village, and also helping out Megumin’s dad Hyoizaburoo with crafting for his magic item shop. But when he gets to the reason he’s here, Meloka turns her questioning gaze immediately to you. And without saying a word, clearly knowing you were up and about, she clearly wants an explanation.

Well?
>Tell her and the kids what happened with the fight, but leave out what was lurking below for now
>Tell her and your kids everything that’s happened, including the horrific fate of that last M’lurnian
>Telepathically tell her everything, Kars, Tanya, the last M’lurnian, everything
>Telll everyone once breakfast’s over you’ll show them, and then quickly fill Meloka in on the broad strokes of what happened without getting into much detail

“Yeah, it’s been a morning. It all started out when I woke up, and found Tanya sneaking about.” you think to her, quickly explaining the battle of the two of you versus Kars. “And then he transformed. Kars has done his copy thing and copied our Super Saiyan transformation.”
“He WHAT?!” she replies, you seeing the sudden look of shock on her face. “No, he didn’t.”
“He did.” you continue, telling her about you splattering his head and the apprentice Kai regenerating and ready to keep fighting after a few seconds. Then the Supreme Kai showing up and apologizing, you exploring the hole, and then your battle with the last M’lurnian’s animated corpse before the Rak’kari finally showed up. “And then I erased it, putting the poor thing out of it’s misery before flying back up out of the hole outside.”

“Sounds like it’s been quite a morning.” she replies, the two of you turning your attention back towards the kids.
“Why does Raven need your help sealing up a hole?” Broly asks Chilli. “Can’t she do it as the Guardian?”
“She wants my help to help shield the hole back against Dark magic.” he answers his brother. “She’s worried about any remaining Dark trying to escape up through the hole even if she seals it back up.”
“You can do that?” Chaya asks, your son nodding to her while creating a small ball of darkness in his open palm.
“We’re going to find out.” he answers, snuffing that ball of darkness out by closing his hand as Alice and the others all bring out platters of food. “But enough about that, let’s eat!”

You and your family dig in, you eating far less than usual since you’d already eaten both the breakfast dishes for the competition. But you’re more than content just sitting here, seeing your family all gathered here together. And after a while everyone’s had their fill of food, you then lead everyone outside to the newly-made giant hole in the island.

“Woah! You’re saying Tanya did that?” Chaya asks Chilli, her tail swishing back and forth once excitedly as she looks at it. “Maybe I need to spar with her more often?”
“That’s what Raven told me.” he replies, looking down into it a moment before turning back to you all. “I’ll be back in a bit.”

And without another word he falls backward, diving down into the hole. You sense his ki dropping down further and further, the depth of the hole still surprising you. But while he’s doing that, it’s time for the rest of you to get back into training. You and Meloka fly with the rest of the kids to the Guardian’s Island, Raven having left the old Guardian’s holocron out on the rock in anticipation. As you all land he materializes, ready to instruct the kids on the Su Ma technique.

But what will you do?

Leaping into the air so you don’t blast everyone over, you focus and blast your aura fully up around you with a “HAAA!” Emerald aura blazing, you then cross your arms, condensing your aura around you and forming your Energy Body. Once your technique is up and running you drop back down to the ground, body wreathed with the virescent glow.

“Planning on getting in a fight then hun?” Meloka asks, you turning to her and seeing she’s already setting the youngest kids down beside the ancient spirit. You offer a hand down, Meloka taking it and you help her up to her feet. You both then take to the air, Meloka drawing her twin blades as you both take your fighting stances. “Let’s go.”

And for the next couple hours you spar with Meloka, her using only her blades and Su Ma while you focus on your Djem So style and keeping your Energy Body up. It, well...It could have gone better. Her swords, despite your Energy Body managing to mitigate their damage, still manage to score hundreds of cuts across you, mainly your forearms. You’d managed to block most of her attacks, retaliating and landing many of your own, but combining her swords and Su Ma proved to be quite the difficult challenge. Were it not for your Energy Body, severely mitigating the cutting power of her swords, she’d have forced you to stop fighting and get healed after only a few minutes. Thankfully your Energy Body constricts your body slightly, keeping the bleeding down from her attacks mid-fight. And as your sparring ends, you covered in hundreds of cuts while your wife is battered and bruised, the two of you land by your kids as their daily Su Ma training concludes.

“Well done.” the ancient spectre says to the children, Meloka taking Okira and Karn Jr from Raven’s arms as Caulifla’s Triumph begins healing her injuries with it’s tears. “Much progress, you all have made.”
“Yeah, I didn’t think you guys were already at this level!” Chaya adds excitedly. “I’ve gotta get back to seriously practicing my Su Ma too!”
“Yeah, more practice could certainly help you keep up.” Raditz says, her slightly older friend landing on the island beside you all. “But it’s too late today. Did you forget what today is?”
“Did I?” she asks, then you see the realization hit. “Oh man! We gotta go!”

Then without another word both Raditz and Chaya explode off the ground, flying off towards the mainland. At the same time, you suddenly sense Ubo’s giant ki from somewhere up above you.

What will you do now?
>Chase after them with your family, and find out what’s going on

“Hey, Ubo’s coming.” you say aloud, curious. “Where’d he head off to?”
“He said he sensed something earlier, when you were fighting that M’lurnian.” Raven says, you noticing she’s looking up towards the sky with a troubled expression. “And he hasn’t answered me once since he left.”
“He’s approaching really quickly, isn’t he?” Meloka observes. And focusing on his signature, he is heading down rather fast. As you have the thought, you also realize that his ki signature is far lower than usual! “Is he okay?”
“Wait, hold on...” you say, realizing what’s happening. He’s heading down right at you all, and he’s not approaching alone. “Get down!”

Diving aside you grab onto both Maz and Kayle, pulling them both away as Ubo’s ki plummets down right towards the island. An instant after you leap aside you hear a tremendous crash, the shockwave smashing into your back as you pull both the younger twins to your chest and shield them from it. Once the blast wave passes you let them go, turning around to see what’s going on. You see Ubo suddenly rise out of a crater, and for a second you think everything’s fine. But then you realize his eyes are shut, and held limply by someone’s hand. Ubo’s body is suddenly tossed away, revealing the face of the one who he’d fought before.

“Was that your best?” the crimson-mane’d man asks with a chuckle. “And here I thought you would have improved since our last fight.”
“UBO!!!” Raven shouts in panic, dropping her shield around her and the late Guardian’s holocron and rushing to his side. Then after a second of studying his injuries her demonic aura flares, raising her four-eyed glare towards the giant man. “You bastard!!”
“Oho? You think you can face me, child?” he asks, clenching his fists and letting his crimson aura wildly flare up around him. “Then show me wh-!”
“BLACK HOLE!!” Chilli roars, a pinpoint of darkness appearing an inch or two from the redheaded giant’s chest. The effects are immediate, it pulling his fiery aura in as you see him suddenly tense up, resisting the Black Hole’s pull.
“Tch! You think this is enough to stop me?” the big man asks through gritted teeth, smirking at your son as his eyes begin glowing as well. You realize what’s about to happen, Chilli’s in danger!

But what do you do?

“Dammit!” you shout, blitzing towards Chilli while dropping your Energy Body. It’ll interfere with what you’re wanting to do, so you can’t keep the shield up. You sense this familiar-seeming warrior’s power welling up, you don’t have much time! Closing to Chilli you don’t even bother turning around, raising your hand and and with a shout unleash your ki. “BARRIER!!”

Your emerald energy expands around you both into the familiar sphere, an instant before you feel a tremendous force slam into your back.

“GUH!” you wheeze as what feels like taking a kick from Freeza between your shoulder blades hits you, and you nearly drop the shield. But you keep it going strong, turning and seeing two pinpoints of crimson light against your shield. You’ve never fet such an immense pressure on your Barrier from precision attacks, but your shield holds.
“T-Thanks.” Chilli says shakily, hand still held outstretched towards the fighter. Then you watch as his beams’ radii begin expanding, and within a second are now pressing with increasing pressure against that whole side of your shield.
“No problem.” you answer through gritted teeth. You’ve never felt such pressure against your Barrier before, the spherical side facing the enemy already pressed flat despite your best efforts, both arms pressed against that side of your shield as you keep increasing the shield’s energy. “But your move isn’t working. Do you have a stronger attack than that one?”
“It’s working.” he replies, hand trembling. “He can’t move, see?”

But then the beams suddenly stop, revealing your wife had somehow snuk up behind him and slashed him right across the eyes.

“GRRRAAAAAA!!” the crimson-maned warrior roars, grabbing Meloka by the arm. You hear a crunch, Chilli immediately realizing what’s about to happen and ends his attack. The instant it vanishes, and the force no longer pulling him in, the warrior flies backwards at incredible speeds. For only a second before he comes to a stop, Broly immediately closing the distance with his own Ki Blade drawn, ready to thrust it through the enemy’s face. But he seems to realize Broly’s there, and swings Meloka down onto him and sends them both down into the waves with a giant splash.
“Mom! Broly!” Chaya shouts as you drop the shield, blasting up into her Ultra form and throwing her arms wide, preparing to fire. “You monster!”

“Monster? No, I am the demon Akuma!” he replies, crimson aura blazing up around him. Just the pressure from his energy nearly sends Chaya flying, your daughter bracing herself to keep from being blasted away. “The strongest warrior in the entire universe!”
“You? Strongest? That’s a joke.” Chaya retorts, golden aura sparking as she slams the energy gathered in her palms together. Wait, you know this technique. It’s one of your own!
cont
>>
>>4966713
“HRRRYAAAAA!!” she roars as the combined energies merge, mix, and magnify, their power multiplying over and over dozens of times as she raises her rapidly-expanding attack overhead. “You won’t even survive this! Event! Horizon!!”

She throws the tremendous blast down, the warrior smugly lifting his left hand and catches her blast. Then as your daughter realizes what’s happening he simply punches it, the expansive sphere of ki surging back towards her.

“N-No way!!” Chaya shouts, trying to force the attack back down. But her might is nothing compared to his, her attack closing the distance. “NOOOOOO-huh?!”

Then to yours and Chaya’s clear surprise, one of Raven’s portals appears behind her, Raven snatching her through and ending the portal a moment before her own attack can connect. Instead of devastating your daughter it soars up into the sky, leaving New Salda behind after several seconds.

“Not one, but two witches here?” the warrior says, turning towards Raven and Chaya with his entire eye sockets glowing with malicious crimson energy as he pops his knuckles, then takes his own fighting stance. “Heh. This could be fun after all.”

“Hey! You!” you shout, drawing the man’s attention. He turns, you drawing the sword off your back. As it clears the scabbard you feel the weapon’s weight increase, it’s size suddenly growing as you swing it in front of you. “I don’t know who you are, but get off my planet.”
“Hmph. If you wish to be the first to die, then come.” he retorts, crimson aura flaring wildly. “Cower behind your steel, allow me to show you how a true warrior fights!”
“Cower? I don’t think you realize what this is.” you retort, holding the blade overhead in your Djem So stance. Emerald aura blazes up around you as you focus, pouring more and more of your ki into the magical blade. As you do it begins glowing with converted energy, azure light radiating off of the greatsword. This Akuma, or whatever he called himself is seemingly focused on the blade, brows furrowed. “This sword is nothing more than a tool. You will fall by my hand. HAAAAAA!!”

With a roar you swing the blade down, firing off a Death Slash made of the powerful blueish energy shrouding the blade. The self-proclaimed demon, who’s ki, while tremendous, doesn’t exactly feel demonic, leaps over your wide Death Slash. As he clears it, Akuma then fires off a pair of dark orbs from his hand down at you. Reversing the blade and swinging once more, you again fire off a powerful Death Slash that intercepts the “demon”s blasts, slicing them both in two and continuing to charge straight for their source. Who sees it coming, immediately dropping down below it then charging right for you. Seeing him coming you again prepare another Death Slash, then as he gets within range you again swing. But Akuma was ready, or so he thought.

“HAAAAA!!” he roars, reaching up and catching the flat of your blade between his palms! However, unfortunately for him, that doesn’t stop the Death Slash from firing. The azure blade of ki fires from your sword’s edge, slicing the man from the top of his head straight down the middle of his body. “GYAAAAAAAA!!”

Blood sprays as your energy cuts him, but to your surprise Akuma doesn’t let go! Instead his grip remains solid, eyes glowing crimson through his own blood.

“And now I’ll break this little toy, and crush you!” he snarls, you immediately realizing he’s going to try snapping the blade with his hands. So instead of waiting around to see if your sword can take it, you instead decide to return his earlier shot back. Everything begins glowing crimson as you focus your ki behind your eyes, preparing to fire.
“No you won’t!” you shout, firing your own Eye Beams. Directly into his eyes. Akuma releases an inhuman cry of agony and rage, loosening his grip on your blade as his body involuntarily recoils from you. And that’s your moment to strike! “RRRRAAAAAAA!!”
cont
>>
>>4966860
As Akuma flinches back you continue your swing, your sword biting deep into the man’s left collar. With a snarl of rage he leaps back, your blade slicing deep and spraying his crimson blood as he jerks himself off your blade.

“Yeah, you got him!” Chaya shouts from somewhere off to the side. “Kick his ass!”
“You dare mark me?!” Akuma snarls, clutching his left shoulder with his right hand. “You aren’t worthy of dying to my fists, much less marking me!”
“Yeah yeah, tell that to everyone else in hell.” you reply, pulling your sword back overhead for another slash. But as you do, suddenly Akuma’s energy changes. Instead of the blazing crimson it becomes a dark, demonic hue, blazing with otherworldly power. The seal on the back of your hand reacts to this power, catching you by complete surprise. “What?!”

“Dad, get back!” you hear Broly shout, but whatever he was going to say is drowned out as Akuma’s demonic ki explodes. Dark energy blasts towards you, and almost by instinct you bring the Wolf Knight sword down at it. The ancient blade strikes the expanding sphere of darkness, azure energy striking his demonic, and actually halts the sphere’s growth! You push back against the surging demonic ki for several seconds, but then it’s over. The sphere fades, revealing his true form.

“I shall grind beneath my heel, all that exists!” Akuma roars, demonic ki flaring. Similarly to your Supervillain form, his hair has gone white and his body is a darkish blue, but his power has grown exponentially greater. As you are now, you aren’t sure you can take him. Which means there’s only one thing to do.
“Please let this be enough.” you say, and unleash the seal’s power. “GYAAAAAAAA!!!”

Demonic ki suddenly pours into you, it transforming your body as well. You take on your Supervillain form, power surging and once more closing the enormous gap in power that had suddenly appeared between you.

“You will fall!!” Akuma roars, once more taking his stance. However, you notice his left arm is still hanging limply by his side. Seems transforming into this at least didn’t heal his injuries.

But what now?
>Keep using your sword to it’s fullest, cut him down for good with your full power

I highly doubt Akuma is going to expect another power-focused fighter to suddenly go all in for skill and speed, plus he's as big as we are, maybe even bigger, so we won't have our size disadvantage for using it.

In the event that a tie-breaker is needed, change my vote (>>4966875) to (>>4966869) as he makes a good point about the flips and shit being unexpected. The su ma will probably work better than the Djem So in my vote (as he's probably stronger than us), but I really think having Energy Body up is a good idea.

“Not until you fall first!” you roar, and explode towards him. Your sudden switch in tactics shocks the fighter for a moment, but then he smirks and switches his stance a bit to better intercept you since he can’t catch your blade anymore. You close the gap, sword held overhead as you go to swing down. But as you start your motion, suddenly you twist your wrists and switch the overhead swing into a clockwise spin as Akuma throws his right fist forward into a palm strike. You narrowly dodge the powerful shockwave, it adding a touch more momentum as you spin around to this demon’s back. “HAAAAAAA!!”

Your azure-clad blade bites into his back, blood spraying as you slash him from left shoulder to right hip. Instead of screaming in pain Akuma throws out a lightning-fast right back kick as he snarls in pain. But he misses once more, you using the momentum from your strike to throw yoursef into a left lateral roll. As his kick reaches the end of it’s range Akuma twists clockwise, turning into a powerful left turning kick. But you’re already in his blind spot, and continuing your clockwise motion bring your blade up as he turns. Before Akuma can course-correct to avoid your blade you’ve swung again, blade biting deep into his right hip and slashing up to his mid-chest amidst another spray of blood.

“GRRRRAAAAAAA!!” Akuma bellows out in pain, and suddenly his demonic aura explodes out from him, knocking you back. As his energy knocks you back you again take a Su Ma ready stance, both hands on the handle holding it down by your right side, perpendicular to your body. He then pulls his right arm up to his chest, right knee raised as well as the surging power condenses around him. “I will crush your soul! Die, one thousand deaths!!”

And again he blitzes forward, this time far faster than before. But you are ready, twisting counterclockwise outside his charge. And instead of simply dodging, you take the opening and swing your blade once more into his back. This time your sword bites into his right shoulder, cutting down until coming out his left hip as he charges past. As your blade cuts through the fighter’s back again, you can feel his energy beginning to drop.

“I will end you!” Akuma roars as he turns, his energy spiking as he pulls back his hand, then thrusts it and all that gathered energy towards you. “GOHADOKEN!!”
“SHIT!” you shout, panickedly swinging your blade down at the rapidly-approaching demonic fireball. It strikes your blade with surprising force, almost knocking your sword back into you! Unable to fully stop such an attack, you’re forced to give ground and let it send you flying back. But the further it travels, the stronger the blast seemingly becomes!
cont

>>4966985
In a desperate maneuver you let go with your left, rolling the blade so the flat is pressed against the blast while you raise your left forearm up, bracing the ancient weapon. But then suddenly it explodes, the demonic energy blasting you point-blank. The blast consumes you for several seconds, and when it ends you feel yourself falling. Before what feels like the ground catches you.

“Gaaaaah!” you cough, spitting up blood from the hit. But after a moment of shock you feel your body isn’t finished yet, you pushing yourself upright to see the demon floating above you.
“Die beneath my heel, weakling.” he snarls, chest heaving as he’s clearly struggling from all the damage Ubo first and then you have dealt to him. But then his body jerks, as a demonic blade suddenly sprouts from the center of his chest. And then over his right shoulder, you see a very familiar, and very very pissed offface.
“Don’t you dare touch my husband again.” Meloka, having also taken her Supervillain form. You’d been so focused on the battle you hadn’t even noticed her transform, but judging from his face, neither did Akuma. Meoka tears her sword free, the demonic fighter’s blood again spraying as his body drops out of the sky as you rise back to your feet. He crashes down into the sand a few feet from you, Meloka landing beside you facing him warily. You see her right forearm is clearly broken from where he grabbed and swung her around earlier, but her energy is stable while Akuma’s is quickly dropping lower and lower. It looks like this fight is over.

“Huh. And here I thought he’d be more of a challenge.” you hear, both you and Meloka spinning around to see the face of a familiar demon sitting on air. “Looks like the two of you got even more dangerous than I’d calculated.”
“Fu.” you reply, feeling your rage blazing white-hot at him once again seemingly putting your family and home in danger. This stunt he pulled just reminded you that it’s his fault the last Guardian passed away, and maybe today’s the day for a little bit of payback for him?

I didn't expect Akuma, but looking back it should have been plainly obvious that this is what was keeping Ubo occupied. I'm glad we had our sword on us at least, probably the only edge we have over Kryptonians since it's magical.
Anyways, looking forward to slamming our fist through Fu's head.

Isn’t the first time he came around looking to fight Ubo. But either Ubo put up a hell of a lot better fight than last time, you’ve gotten a whole lot stronger, or both for you to pull out the win.
Yes, the magical sword really did help, or at least it gave you a way to actually hurt him.

And almost as soon as you have the thought, Meloka draws her blade back as if readying to swing and launch either a Death Slash or her Ki Needles at him. Fu immediately backs up several feet, raising both hands palms-out in a gesture of peace.

“Woah woah woah, now hold on a minute.” he says. “I’m not here to fight myself, I was just watching the show!”
“Yeah, after you unleashed another monster.” Meloka replies, swinging and firing a dozen or so Ki Needles towards the demon. Fu vanishes, then continues speaking from behind you both. Turning, you see him floating behind the downed form of Akuma, shaking his head.
“No way, that wasn’t me.” he replies, then holds up a finger. “Actually, this is the Akuma who belongs to your timeline. He just escaped his confinement and somehow slipped back here into his own time.”

“Although he is annoying, Fu is correct. This time.” you hear, turning to face the speaker as Meloka leaps up, pressing her back to your own in case the two time travelers try to hit either of your blind spots. You see another towa, this one resembling your Towa’s second form. “And it seems I must thank you, Saiyans, for subduing him for me. That said, what do you say about joining me? I could use someone with your muscle and, other talents around.”
“Get lost.” Meloka replies, twisting around to face her, swinging her blade again, and firing even more Ki Needles towards the demoness. The Towa vanishes, you and Meloka turn to see her reappearing slightly behind Fu. “Next time it won’t be a warning shot.”
“Hmph.” Towa exhales, sounding just a bit like a pouty kid before firing a dark orb into Akuma’s chest. A moment later the two vanish, leaving you and Meloka staring down Fu. Who just seems to be casually enjoying himself and what’s going on.
“Nice one.” he tells Meloka. “Keep up the good work. Both of you are gonna need to be in top form when Beerus shows up, or else your planet is doomed. See ya then!”

He then gives a salute wave with the first two fingers on his right hand, then vanishes as if he was never here. A moment later your seal, recognizing no alternate timeline beings nearby shuts down, yours and Meloka’s energy plummeting as you lose your Supervillain forms. With that situation resolved, and Caulifla healing everyone after the surprise battle, you’re all left standing around when Chaya suddenly shouts.

“Oh man, I gotta get back!” she exclaims, once again taking off towards the mainland. Whatever she was doing, she’d abandoned to come back and try to help against that monster. Chaya’s a good kid.

“Where are-?” Caulifla shouts, but Chaya’s already gone. “Oh.”
“Is everything okay with Ubo?” you ask Raven telepathically as your daughter calls for her sister.
“Of course, he’s sleeping now.” she answers. “Caulifla’s healing fixed his body, but he needs to rest. From the time he left, the two of them had to have been fighting for over an hour, at least.”
“He’s a tough one, glad he’s okay.” you reply. “If you need anything don’t hesitate to ask.”
“Of course, and you as well.” she answers, you ending the link and addressing your daughter.
“Hey, why don’t we all go see what she’s up to, and cheer her on?” you ask, your daughter’s eyes lighting up.

“Can we?” Caulifla says excitedly, you nodding your head. “YEEEAAAAH!!”
“Alright, let’s go.” you say, picking up little Okira and Karn Jr in your arms, so Caulifla can heal her mother’s arm midflight. You and your family all lift off of the Guardian’s Island, flying back towards the mainland and your daughter’s ki signature. Surprisingly she isn’t in the city proper, but is still surrounded by several dozen, maybe even more than a hundred others as you find yourself flying towards the giant bowl that serves as an arena. As you approach you see the stands aren’t quite full, but everyone is standing and cheering the fight going on.

“HAAAA!!” Raditz roars, swinging on an older Saiyan easily twice his size. What’s more surprising is that the both of them are in the Super Saiyan form, trading rapid blows back and forth. Raditz looks to be in far rougher shape than the other two, despite how dominating his performance is against his foe. And you see Chaya, having dropped back down to a basic Super Saiyan easily dodging her foe’s strikes, you recognizing the Super Saiyan as Kabuya.
“Grrrrr! Hold still you little shit!!” she snarls, Chaya dodging every strike with her Su Ma style and making it look easy. With another annoyed snarl she leaps back, pressing her hands together similarly to the Galick Gun, and begins gathering her violet ki in them. “Take this! Kabuya Kannon!!”

“Look out sis!” Kayle shouts from your position up in the sky, but it’s clear Chaya’s ready. She leaps aside, the beam headed right for Raditz’s back. But at the last second he leaps straight up, the big man’s eyes going wide. In desperation, he crosses his arms and attempts to block it. But his ally’s blast is too powerful, the beam launching him right into the wall surrounding the arena.
“D-Dammit!” Kabuya shouts, ending the beam, only for her ally to fall unconscious to the ground outside of the fighting stage. Clearly out of bounds.

“Morko is out of bounds.” the robotic voice of the announcer in a floating disc-like ship shouts to the cheers and some jesting from the crowd.

>>
>>4967443
“Tch! Dammit!” Kabuya shouts, golden aura flaring. “Making a mockery of me! I’ll make you-!”

But before she can finish her sentence, Raditz flashes into his Ascended form and blurs to her, driving his elbow into her gut. The instant his attack connects he drops back down to a normal Super Saiyan, Kabuya clutching at her gut and dropping to her knees. After a moment or two her golden aura vanishes, the woman falling over on her side, clearly passed out.

“And now Kabuya’s down for the count! One! Two, three!” the announcer calls, the crowd chanting along with her. “Four! Five! Six!”
But instead of waiting for the full count, Chaya grabs her by the back of her armor, and with a turning over-the-shoulder toss, pitch her up into the stands to even more cheers. “Kabuya has been rung out. Chaya and Raditz win!”
“Let’s not waste any more time, she wasn’t getting up anyways.” Chaya shouts over the crowd. “C’mon, who’s next?”

Broly and Chilli, to your complete surprise nod to each other, then drop down silently in the arena behind their sister and her friend. Raditz and Chaya both turn, seemingly surprised by their arrival.

“And it looks like a brawl in the family!” the announcer shouts. “Chaya and Raditz vs Broly and Chilli! Hold onto your seats folks, this one’s going to be wild!”
“Let’s find us a place to sit.” you say, your family not in the arena all descending down into the stands together. You find a spot near the back wide enough for you all, the crowd’s attention too focused on the arena to pay you all much mind.

“Go Chaya! Go Broly! Go Chilli!” Caulifla shouts, waving Chilli’s staff as weapons in the ring aren’t allowed. As she does your oldest turning around to see her family there in the stands. Chaya gives a thumbs up to you all, then turns her attention back to her brothers.
“Who’s gonna win?” Maz asks you, curious.
“I think Chilli an’ Broly are gonna win.” Caulifla answers. “Broly’s the strongest one, and Chilli’s got all his super-cool magic!”
“Maybe, but Chaya and Raditz have surprisingly good teamwork.” Tatsu and Tomi say simultaneously. “Which can make all the difference in a two on two.”
“I dunno.” Kayle says, also turning to you. “Whadda you think Daddy?”

How do you answer this? Who do you think’s going to win?

“Honestly? I think Broly and Chilli have this one.” you say as the four fighters all take their stances, Chilli flashing up to a Super Saiyan as Broly goes Berserk, Raditz Ascending into his Ultra form as a response as he faces down Broly. “Your older sister is good, and Raditz has clearly been training hard. But Broly and Chilli just have too many advantages for them to overcome.”
“Like what?” Tatsu and Tomi ask, the twins identically looking more than a bit confused.
“Chilli has magic!” Caulifla answers, sounding as if she’d just realized it.
“That’s certainly one big advantage.” you say, as one Chaya and Raditz charge Chilli and Broly. “But use your senses. What else can you feel?”

“Broly’s still holding back!” Caulifla realizes aloud as the two pairs clash. “Raditz is already at full power, but Broly isn’t.”
“Very good.” you reply. “Neither are Chaya or Chilli, both of them are still holding back quite a bit too.”
“Wonder why?” Meloka asks herself aloud, watching Broly blocking each of Raditz’s heavy strikes and not even trying to dodge them. “It’s almost as if they’re testing each other, but it wasn’t that long ago they all went to war with you, Cauli.”
“Yeah, but you saw Chilli’s wedding!” Caulifla says excitedly. “He’s got some really cool magic now, who knows what else he learned?”

“Crystal Armor!” Chilli shouts as if on cue, Chaya leaping back as her brother’s magic forms a crystalline golem around him, it shining golden with his Super Saiyan power. As Chaya slides back to a stop Chilli raises his right boulder-like hand, and attacks. From his armor’s fist suddenly a spray of suspiciously familiar-looking crystal needles are fired, Chaya flipping and spinning away towards Chilli’s left. He in his hulking golem turn to follow her, putting his back to Raditz and Broly. Which is seemingly all according to your eldest’s plan. Without a signal Raditz suddenly fires off a blindingly bright light from his palm, the crowd shouting in pained confusion as they can no longer see. Neither can you, but following with your ki sense you’re able to track what happens. Raditz immediately abandons his bout with Broly, turning and blitzing Chilli’s back. And before your eldest son can react, or defend himself, Raditz’s massive bulk slams right into him. Crystal shatters, Raditz driving Chilli through his own armor. Chaya leaps aside as a hail or razor-sharp shards are blasted out, Chilli flying right towards the far wall. If he hits it, he’s considered out!

“Look out!” Caulifla shouts at the top of her lungs, but it seems that Chilli’s got a counter of his own.
“Light Magic: Blink!” he shouts, and suddenly he simply vanishes! One moment he’s flying towards the wall, and the next he’s just gone! But where did he go?
cont
>>
>>4967572
You see him appear the next instant behind Chaya, and before she even realizes he’s there, much less before she can react, he grabs her arms and shouts “Crystallize!”

“Wait, what?!” Chaya shouts, and as suddenly as she shouted she’s covered head to toe inside a rough crystal outline of herself, trapping her.
“Nice try sis. But you need to be more clever than that.” Chilli taunts, grabbing the Chaya sculpture and lifting her overhead to pitch her from the arena. However, realizing this, Chaya decides that now’s a good time to quit holding back. The crystal begins glowing brighter and brighter, then shatters as Chaya reveals her Ascended Ultra form as well.
“HRRRRRRAAAAAAAA!!” she bellows, freeing herself and blasting Chilli back and away from her. “Ha, tricks like that won’t work on me.”

“Then how about this one?” he asks, vanishing again. Meanwhile Broly’s got Raditz in a wrestling neutral hold, both with their hands on each other’s shoulders and trying to push the other back. The arena floor keeps cracking beneath their feet, both of them giving their current all. But only one of them has another gear to pull. Yet, for some reason Broly isn’t transforming, choosing to keep his power more evenly-matched to Raditz and not just bulldozing him at 100%. Something Raditz clearly takes offense to.

“The hell are you holding back for?!” he suddenly snarls, switching from a push to a pull. Broly, caught off guard by the sudden switch in tactics takes a nasty headbutt to the nose from Raditz. You can almost hear his nose break over the shouting, blood spraying as Broly recoils back. But Raditz clearly isn’t done, grabbing Broly’s hands and face and slamming the back of his head down into the arena. Pinning Broly to the ground, Raditz then draws a Ki Blade with his free hand, holding it poised above Broly’s chest. “Now fight me like you mean it! Or die!”

“GRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!” Broly roars, his aura blazing and knocking Raditz back from the force of it. Your son stands, face bloodied as sparks dance around his body. “You want my all? Fine, I’ll use everything I’ve got to take you down!”
“Woah! Broly’s so cool! Kayle says excitedly, bouncing up and down in her seat then cheering. “Get ‘em Broly!!”

As she’s bouncing you notice Chilli in the air, holding a massive ki orb overhead. If he drops something like that down, it could possibly destroy the planet, much less the arena.

But what will you do?
>Say nothing, Chilli wouldn’t endanger the planet. So wait and see how this plays out

But Chilli’s a smart kid. He knows that that much power hitting the planet all at once would be a terrible idea, and wouldn’t risk destroying his own home, or maybe second home now since he’s built his own. So you keep quiet, watching and waiting to see what he and the others will do next. Meanwhile, Broly is staring down Raditz, who is clearly outmatched by Broly’s full power. And to his credit, Raditz doesn’t run. He stands resolute, facing down an opponent you can’t conceivably see him having any chance of beating. Then the both rush at each other, exchanging a flurry of blows.

“Hmph.” Meloka says, leaning back and relaxing. “It seems the boys have won this one.”
“It’s not over just yet.” you reply, but still feeling like she’s entirely right in her assessment. Meanwhile Chaya’s found Chilli and his titanic blast, your daughter crouching and preparing to launch herself up towards it. But you notice something, a faint energy spiraling around her right fist and forearm in a corkscrew-like manner. And suddenly you realize her plan. And while you would probably make the same decision, the audience could get caught in this crossfire. “Dammit.”
“Huh? What’re you-?” Meloka asks, when suddenly Chilli shouts out over the crowd.

“FINAL SKY CANNON!!” he roars, a beam of absolute destruction firing down.
“Champion Lance!!” she bellows, firing her version of your Piercing Fist MkII and charging directly into the dropping beam. Meanwhile you dash out of the stands, hovering above the arena but below Chaya, and throw both of your arms wide as many in the the crowd screams in terror.
“Super Barrier!!” you roar, emerald energy exploding out from you in a sphere. You expand your shield wider and wider, until the dome encompasses the entire arena and stands just as Chaya’s attack strikes Chilli’s. Unsurprisingly she passes right up through it, the spiraling of her own energy splitting the beam and sending it down towards the audience instead of the arena. Fortunately your Super Barrier is more than up to the task, Chilli’s split energy beam glancing off your shield and smashing into the ground well outside the stands. Chaya’s charge continues unabated, only when she nears Chilli diverts her path from the beam towards him. But he clearly saw this coming, dashing out of the way as her spiraling spear of energy carries her up and into the massive ball of ki.

“CONDENSE!!” Chilli roars, ending the blast while swinging his wide arms close together, fingertips almost touching and forming a ball. His energy copies his hands, the massive ball rapidly condensing down into a sphere barely twice as wide across as Chaya is tall. You’re barely able to sense her energy at all through so much of Chilli’s own. Who’s clearly feeling that energy missing, chest heaving, but he isn’t done yet. “Light Magic: Hardlight Prison!”
cont
>>
>>4967691
You watch as the sphere of golden energy burns bright like a star for several seconds, but then the flash fades. And as it does, your vision quickly returning after being blinded, you can see Chaya’s outline through that condensed ball. And it’s clear she can’t move.

“Sorry sis, but I’m not losing today.” Chilli tells her, then pitches the sphere down towards the groun well outside the arena. Like a meteor descending to earth it leaves a trail of light behind as it drops, you not ending your Barrier in fear of his attack detonating upon contact. But he’s in control, Chaya crashing to the ground as the announcer bot flies up and over the edge of the stands, seeing Chaya still in the orb embedded well in the ground outside.
“Chaya has been forced to land outside the ring!” the robot announces, to the surprised cheers of the crowd. You drop your Barrier as Chilli flies down to his sister, your son landing beside her. “And now Chilli is out of the ring as well. The only fighters left standing are Broly and Raditz!”

You hear the two slugging it out below you, but judging from the sheer gap in their power you can clearly tell who’s winning that brawl. Instead you fly down to Chilli, who’s conjured an orb of Darkness beside the light prison his sister is still trapped in, the two of comparable size. As you watch he combines the orbs, then watches as the two energies near-perfectly nullify each other, freeing your daughter who flops to the ground on her back, gasping for air. You fly down and land beside them, as Chaya begins shouting at her brother.

“What the hell was that?” she shouts between gasps. “That was bullshit, how did you trap me? My attack’s supposed to pierce through everything!”
“Yes, but that’s why I condensed it.” he replies. “Just like the tip of your spear is condensed, and the spinning helps it pierce through other energy. But it can’t pierce through energy denser than itself, just like Dad showed with Momma’s blades.”
“It’s an interesting technique, but it looks more like a last resort to me.” you say, seeing Chilli still struggling a bit for breath as he drops his transformation while Chaya’s already recovered. “You used most of your power for that one.”
“I did. But that’s because Chaya’s too strong for me to do anything else.” he answers you, then turns and holds out a hand to his sister. Who takes it smiling after a few seconds, the two immediately diving into the technique and how it works, and if it could be replicated without using magic. Sounds like Chaya’s taking her loss well enough. But how is-

“And that’s it for Raditz, he’s out! Broly is the last competitor standing!” you hear, realizing you missed the last of his fight. But judging by how quickly it was, Broly didn’t play around.
“C’mon, let’s go get all of your siblings, and go find us something for lunch.” you say, taking to the sky once more. “And then we can hopefully get back into training, without any more interruptions. But as you all fly back into the arena, you ponder what sort of training you yourself will do? With focusing on mastery over your Ascended Berserker form, trying to maintain the form indefinitely like Meloka has with her Super Saiyan 3 form, gravity training is something you can’t do. But what if you focus on not just making your transformation permanent, but also a skill? Having an ability just always active could prove to be extremely useful. And the longer you ponder this, gathering your family and flying back towards your island, the more concrete this idea becomes. But now the question becomes, which technique?

Well? Which one will you train, day in and day out, until it becomes as natural as breathing? You can only pick one option, so which will it be?

> Aura Shell- By spreading your aura out around you, gain increased awareness of your immediate surroundings including non living matter and different energies within your range. Meloka’s sensory technique, allowing one better control of energy projectiles within the area, and you can fully sense the shape of other beings and their energy who enter your space.

> Foresight- Focus on your connection to the dark energy as Bane, and through intense practice gain the ability to glimpse into the future. Can allow one to detect assassins the second before they attack, and see openings in a foe’s movements before they move to allow for much more brutal counterattacks.

>Energy Body- Instead of letting your ki flow through you naturally, harden your aura to mitigate all physical damage. This also allows for passive physical training, as increasing the amount of energy sheathing your body will more heavily restricts your movements.

>Expanded Ki Sense- Constantly feel the energy of every living being around you, instead of only noticing when a sizeable energy approaches. Allows one far better knowledge of their surroundings, and for near-instant activation of the Instant Transmission technique as well as others that rely on tracking a ki signature

>Other(write in)- Custom options. Will have to be clearly explained how it will work, how it will be trained, and can be vetoed by me if it’s exceptionally OOC, meta, or game-breaking.

This vote will remain open until 5pm EST Friday, August 27th

Meat MOUNTAIN

Also it'd be funny if we ended up immobilized but our thick ass energy just kept no selling whatever attack followed it up.

Hopefully she got a little fragment of that check just know, with the knowledge that if Chilli had been a real enemy, he could've killed her then and there when he imprisoned her.

It wouldn't even have to be that convoluted, he could have just used a bit of Death magic and ended her right then and there.
Whether or not Chaya recognizes that is another thing entirely.

>>
>>4967816
I have an idea, just follow me here.
Say we use Immovable Energy Body in tandem with conventional striking techniques.
Now obviously we can't move while it's active, hence the name.
But what if we only engaged the technique at the moment of impact?
Would that not result in Karn's strikes transmitting more force than they would otherwise, given the increased hardness of the striking surface?
Is it even possible to engage and disengage our Immovable Energy Body that fast?
>>
>>4967824
Depends on the enemy.
>>4967854
>in tandem
But you can’t. It locks you FULLY in place, unable to fly, move, or use any sort of movement skill once it’s active. It doesn’t stop your current momentum, but at the speeds you fight would be easily avoidable.
As for speed, it would require a lot of training on that to be able to perform such a technique. But it isn’t really a viable path, as the difference between a normal Energy Body and an Immovable one’s strikes is negligible.
>>
>>4967904
>Depends on the enemy.
I... know?
>>
>>4967919
Yes, that’s why I was confused. You’ve seen first hand how easily it shrugs off physical damage
>>
This is tough. I like all of energy body, foresight and extended ki sense.

Energy body doubles down on what our berserker form is good at, but is the more 'mundane' of the three.

The extended ki sense and rapid fire instant transmission is very cool and useful, but probably somewhat easily countered by people with the ki sense to sense our IT destination and hit us there as we arrive (as we did to Cooler).

The foresight is something very few of our foes will have, understand, or expect us to have (until they fall prey to it) so it should prove quite effective, though we are dealing with time travellers, so I could see them finding a way to make our future sense get a bit fucky. But when it does work, it'll be amazing.
>>
>>4968039
As far as downsides go, think about it this way. All of these things work...until they don't.
And when that inevitably happens, which one is gonna have the worst consequences?
>>
>>4968039
>>4968044

The "Enhanced ki sense + quick/rapid IT" is most easily countered and nullified as an advantage

The Energy Body just serves as a passive bonus to how tough we are. Anything that can cut through that is just a fucking strong attack that would have cut through us even worse if we didn't have Energy Body up. Energy Body never really gets countered or nullified (as far as I can see), just overpowered. It shoud always be at least somewhat useful.

Foresight will get fucked up in a fight vs Chronoa, and a clever fighter might find a way to best it (Xeno Goku or Super-timeline Goku, etc. will probably pull a counter out of their arses).

However, I like Foresight as none of the future visions that Mechikabura, etc. have shown us have shown a Karn with that capability. It's a truly novel Karn who will take all these gods by surprise (and most of their minions - eg the Time Patrol - who are used to ki powers, not Force powers).
Not as outright tough as Energy Body-Berserker God Karn, but far more SURPRISING, which is usually more deadly in a fight.
>>
Also if anyone has questions about the different options, I’ll be here through the week to answer what I can. I want anons making an informed decision, and will most importantly enjoy how the passive may change the flow of combat. Going full defense, ignoring blocking and moving all attack all the time, keeping track of everyone and firing off multiple attacks and staying mobile, there is surprising depth to some of these.

>>4968039
It is the least flashy, but a solid(pun certainly intended) choice.
Knowing and sensing the ki of everyone near you at all times could prove extremely effective, but IT is countered by someone who’s speed outclasses your own. As we saw with Freeza vs that universe 2(I think?) guy in the ToP. But it does open up other options, especially with homing attacks.
Foresight has a far bigger risk and reward system than the others. If it fails to warn you of danger, or if you take a blow that stuns your Foresight, by the time you realize what’s happening you could get Qui Gon’d.
>>4968044
For downsides, honestly Meloka’s Aura Shell has the least. It’s biggest weakness is it takes a bit longer to gather your ki for an attack while your aura is spread out thinly instead of being like a dense cloud around you. But generally that is a more defensive technique than offensive.
>>4968069
It’s good for IT, but that is the most basic and obvious utilization of the skill. Tracking ki attacks locked onto someone’s unique ki signature are exceptionally dangerous. Especially with finger/eye beams, or other attacks that pierce/slash through most armor.
It is a good defensive bonus, especially for keeping your limbs attached when fighting enemies with physical/ki blades and mitigating blunt force. Which in turn makes it a good offensive bonus as well, allowing you to plow through someone’s attack with your own. It’s biggest weakness is that energy attacks are unusually while it’s up, forcing you to get close to your enemy.
The biggest weaknesses of Foresight is someone else with Foresight, someone who can manipulate others’ senses via illusions or other means, and simply faster opponents.

>>Energy Body- Instead of letting your ki flow through you naturally, harden your aura to mitigate all physical damage. This also allows for passive physical training, as increasing the amount of energy sheathing your body will more heavily restricts your movements.

I'm voting this as it's always helpful. Foresight was my second choice, but based on its weakness against faster fighters (and I reckon we'll be fighting a good bunch of them until we catch up to the Tier 1 fighters), it's probably not our best option at this point in time.

Maybe in the future (a decade or so from now) we'll get a chance to pick up a second.
>>
I won’t try to convince anyone to pick my choice. Instead, I’m going to voice my thoughts on each option in hopes that it will help others to decide on something if they’re on the fence.
Aura Shell- An excellent response to sensing abnormalities or even fighting completely blind. Going by how meloka turned out, this seems to do fucking wonders for training ki control. Helps response times to tricky shit and would probably be a huge upgrade to guided eye beams since it helps with directing your own attacks in its field of influence, i see this as more of an offense buff than a defense one since it can be somewhat slower than normal to gather energy back in, and like foresight doesn’t let you tank more damage, simply try to avoid it.

Foresight- There’s a reason so many quests go for this, predicting the enemy’s bullshit is unbelievably powerful. Don’t assume that it’s only useful defensively - if you can predict exactly how someone’s going to block, you have a MASSIVE offensive advantage. Passively deepens the connection to the dark side to boot, allowing greater access to more…unnatural abilities. If you want to pick up and learn the more devastating and esoteric force abilities sometime in the future, This is probably your go-to. Might have curious and interesting interactions in mastering the dark side while also mastering berserk…but only GD knows for sure if such is actually the case. Worth mentioning that this passive doesn’t really impact what other things you can do at the same time, or how fast you can do them.

Energy Body- Extreme defense in exchange for some lack of range and other abilities. Allows us to take full advantage of our absurd physical strength, boosted by a certain ring, without nearly as much need to try dodging dangerous attacks. This is for people who want to be up in someone’s face nonstop, not even wasting effort to dodge. Punch through EVERYTHING. Passively has physical gains, some energy control gains, berserk energy overproduction mitigation, even helps us master berserk quicker due to that mitigation. Very useful offensively and defensively, but having to drop it for other energy techniques could really hurt. DDF could be an appropriate defensive substitute in most scenarios, save for fights against stand users.

Expanded Ki Sense- Teleport spam has always served us well, but I think this is the weakest option for passives. Not everything has ki, and divine ki can only be sensed by divine beings. Still useful defensively, as it’s now hard as fuck to hide an attack from us, but mostly useful in terms of utility, because Karn’s IT range is fairly low compared to Son “I teleported all the way from earth to King Kai after a few seconds of tuning” Goku. This is probably also really useful for Ultra Instinct, but that has its own slew of enormous drawbacks for all the benefits it has.
>>
>>4968293
The choice between Foresight and Energy Body is a tough one. Foresight is definitely cool as fuck, and you're right that going for more Dark Side-related powers could be useful in that they're less common (and therefore less expected and less readily defended against).

The weakness GD has stated it has against opponents who just massively outspeed us (to the point that even if we see the attack coming we can't block it) is an issue, because at the moment we really are a 2nd tier fighter (compared to Future Chaya, Ace, Xeno Goku and Vegeta, etc. etc.) and all of those fuckers will outspeed us for a good while longer until we can catch up.

Energy Body seems like it will let us kick arse in our tier and hold our own in the higher tier. Foresight seems like it will let us absoutely fucking dominate in our tier, but not quite serve as well in the higher tier.

The question then becomes do we invest long-term and trust that we can finally catch up to those top-tier fighters by getting Berserker 3 and then Berserker God quickly (in which case, on a more-even playing field, Foresight might serve better)? Or do we expect we're going to have to work bloody hard to catch up to them, and that it's going to take a good while, and we're going to have to fight them quite a few times while still markedly lower-tier? (in this case Energy Body is probably the better option)
>>
>>4968334
The big things for me that makes me want Foresight more is because we do go up fairly often against magic and other strange things that Energy Body might not fare so well against, and because foresight can still use any of our techniques without issue while energy body locks us out of using a good chunk of stuff while active.
I’d like to retain versatility in our options, ESPECIALLY against higher tier fighters.
And especially especially against anyone with Destruction energy. It’s gonna rip through physical defenses like nobody’s business.
>>
>>4968353
I was reading your previous post and was about to leave another comment saying that Energy Body locking us out from using our ki blasts does leave us as a pretty one-dimensional fighter. I'm sure all of the current 'tier 1' fighters have fought and beaten a guy whose whole deal is simply 'hits hard and can take hits' without anything else going on for him; reducing Karn down to such a simple Brick probably isn't for the best (although we would still have Dragon Force available for some trickiness).

You make good points here about Foresight allowing us greater versatility, and also about the better defense (in the form of a warning) against unconventional shit (which we somewhat regularly face) that Energy Body wouldn't fare well against.

As such, I'm going to change my vote (in the next post so it's clearer for GD) to Foresight.

>> Foresight- Focus on your connection to the dark energy as Bane, and through intense practice gain the ability to glimpse into the future. >>4968293
I don't see why a passive ability would give us any radical debuffs. Energy body completely locking out ki attacks when it's passive? That would be such a huge fucking downgrade as to be genuinely harmful to pick so I doubt it would do that.

Unless of course every other passive also comes with a massive atrocious caveat as well. Which in that case picking any would inevitably bite us in the ass. Which I personally wouldn't push on my players so I can't imagine GD would either. Then again I'm not omniscient so I can't speak for him.

Lets wait for GD's response to this, but yeah, I'm pretty sure based off of what has been said in previous threads (couldn't find an exact quote for you in my quick search just now, though) Energy Body either stops us from firing off ki attacks while it's active, or impairs them in some way (by making them take longer to gather or something)
>>
>>4968124
>Maybe in the future (a decade or so from now) we'll get a chance to pick up a second.
It’s always possible.
>>4968293
>DDF could be an appropriate defensive substitute in most scenarios,
I do have to correct this one, because DDF doesn’t function the same way. It can stop a hit, but the momentum of the blow still carries to and stops you in place. Whereas Energy Body allows one to charge through that hit and unleash a devastating counter-hit.
>>4968334
Energy Body allows you to mostly ignore defense and go aggressive, forcing opponents onto the defensive by punishing them whenever they attack by no-selling it and attacking through their attacks.
Foresight is more of a defensive skill, allowing you to dodge/parry more effectively, but you have to be able to react. And the biggest problem with seeing the future is it isn’t set in stone. Especially with Karn, who broke free of his fate. Encountering other such beings(Karn Jr is one) also means the skill is dead, as they cannot be predicted in this manner. Which is why Karn Jr was able to easily destroy a certain fate-manipulating Stando.
>>4968353
You haven’t really tested it against magic. But I will say against more physical elements(fire, ice, etc) it fares better than against non-physical ones(dark, light, crystal).
As for Hakai, it becomes a matter of strength. SSBE Vegeta was able to overcome Toppo’s Hakai directly, his own energy stronger that the GoD in training.
As for locking out of energy attacks, yes and no. You’d have to temporarily drop the shield to use most of them you currently use. Which will make your ki attacks a bit slower to fire off, having to basically toggle the passive on/off. But taking this doesn’t mean you just lose your ability to use ki attacks.
>>4968375
It does make you a little less sneaky and tricksy, but in exchange makes you an oppressive force that keeps your opponent on the back foot.
>>4968414
If there wasn’t at least some conflict over which to pick, then I didn’t offer compelling enough choices.
>>4968426
It is powerful, but it’s like all flames that burn twice as hot.
>>4968432
No. But having it always up, until you drop it for firing an energy attack, is a great anti-assassin passive as well. Hard to stab someone in the back or slit their throat when their blade does little more than give you a paper cut.
>>4968498
>>4968577
The way it works is that, while active, your energy is hardened into forming the shield around you. You can’t fire energy through this condensed shield while it’s active. However, another point of training it to be the passive skill will be mitigating this weakness, allowing for far faster toggling the skill on and off allowing you to still use your energy attacks as you normally do. But during those brief moments of gathering your ki and firing, you’ll be without the shield.

QM UPDATE

For this week, we won’t have a “normal” intermission. Instead I’ll be writing up a few different small fights, showcasing each skill in a potential future fight to demonstrate it’s advantages, and some weaknesses.
>>
>>4967769
>And that’s it for this week, everyone enjoy the ride?
Yes. Many good fights this time. Akuma was wild like frenzied beast. If he wasn't already after fight with Ubo, but fresh, ready and in fullness of his power he would be able to easily win against:
>Meloka
>Karn
>Ubo
In a pure 1 vs 1?
Unless Karn got some multiple 100 rolls in his fight would Akuma most likely be winning? (I'm thinking about battle without Divine Dragon Force in use).
>>
>>4967904
>It locks you FULLY in place, unable to fly, move, or use any sort of movement skill once it’s active.
Can we lift ourselves like a boulder with telekinesis and drag Karn in his immovable body this way?
Can somebody move us just by overcoming only the Karn's weight or is this technique resisting any form of trying to move Karn?
>>
>>4968847
Glad you enjoyed. And that would depend on how Akuma saw you. Would he see you as an annoyance to crush immediately before getting to his fun? Or a fly he mostly ignored in favor of his target?
>>4968857
You can’t use telekinesis while Immovable EnergyBody is active, as your own energy is too dense to reach through. Then even if you just grab yourself, you couldn’t pull yourself through that empowered shell around you, as it’s too dense. Someone else could throw you around, however.
>>
>>4968867
>And that would depend on how Akuma saw you.
The way I understand this is "If he took the fight seriously Karn, Meloka or Ubo would have little chance of winning". Good motivation to improve.
>You can’t use telekinesis while Immovable EnergyBody is active, as your own energy is too dense to reach through. Then even if you just grab yourself, you couldn’t pull yourself through that empowered shell around you, as it’s too dense.
Good to know. So this could mean that regular Energy Body would also provide some protection from enemy trying to use telekinesis to bypass the energy body and try to break Karn's bones, kind of like Karn did to Za Metaru.

There is also this tricky move when you punch really fast and hard so that it creates strong enough shockwaves to blast somebody away. Like Jiren in this gif. It looks like he only moved his arm fast enough, no Ki attack here.

Maybe that would be one way to do some ranged attack without disabling Energy Body. Perhaps there may be more clever ways to do ranged attacks without deactivating Energy Body.

About the Energy Body topic. I liked when we defeated Primal Vegeta while using it. I was certain when the fight was getting started that the power difference was too much, that in the end no matter how much of a fight we put up sooner or later Vegeta is going to win. It was just the question how hard Karn will fight before the inevitable.

So yeah Energy Body mitigating such power difference and allowing a real fight against someone that much stronger was a pleasant surprise.

Would other potential passive techniques allowed to pull off such thing?
>>
>>4968959
That's basically a shockwave punch. Using Kiai-based attacks would probably be a good workaround for ki blasts.
>>
>>4969038
Yeah I could see it working to some degree.
I remember just recently we started using the shockwaves from our strikes as ranged attacks during the fight with the Zombie Fish-Man. I think we also did a Hulk style Thunderclap at some point.

>>4968947
Not exactly. He took Ubo seriously, after seeing his improvement from the last time they fought. After a drawn-out, exhausting fight burning most of their energy Akuma won, and realizing he could die, Ubo tried pile-driving him down into New Salda. Which got reversed, but still went according to his plan. When he failed, he bet his life on you beating him in his place.
Yes, it does make you immune. They could grab the armor and pitch you around that way, but can’t say force choke you, or snap your neck with it. Unless they’re obscenely, impossible-for-you-to-beat strong.
>>4968959
Karn has been doing that more recently, starting during the last war. Which is by itself faster than most any ki technique anyways.
You can still use telekinesis with it, as long as you don’t go Immovable. However, your own grabbing power is mitigated a bit by your energy as you have to reach through it.
>>4968965
You can do it without, but is most effective with a weapon. Especially energy blades, or heavy blunt weapons.
>>4969034
Mitigating someone’s damage output, and armoring through their hits to counter with your own sets an opponent squarely on their back foot. And unless they’re an endurance fighter, who wins by tiring your offense out then going in for the kill, more often than not the attacker will win the fight. Getting beat up is a terrible strategy if you’re trying to win after all, unless you’re a specific type of Canadian.
As for the others, yes and no. The others are, for lack of a better term, more skill based than Energy Body. Each passive gives a different advantage in a fight, but it’s up to you to capitalize on those advantages. Although Su Ma Energy Body is hilarious as a “fuck you” to any opponent

It's Bane, give the guy some credit.
As soon as he sees a suitable body that's vacant, he's snatching that motherfucker up. We're just letting him crash with us while he waits for the opportunity to present itself.

>Although Su Ma Energy Body is hilarious as a “fuck you” to any opponent
Indeed. I want to try this at least once now.
>You can still use telekinesis with it, as long as you don’t go Immovable. However, your own grabbing power is mitigated a bit by your energy as you have to reach through it.
That seems good. Though I'm not sure how strong is the mitigation of telekinesis' grabbing power with the regular energy body, but I hope telekinesis should still be strong enough to be combat useful.

Attacks with telekinesis are invisible so it adds a surprise factor.
Kind of like punching somebody in the face, but at long rage. It seems to fit the juggernaut style that seems to come with using the Energy Body.

Would using Force related powers also be somewhat suppressed while the Energy Body is active?
Powers such as:
>Force Drain
>Mind trick
>Enhance Attribute
I'm curious how good would be some combination of Energy Body passive and certain Force related powers in combat.

Like turn on Enhance Attribute for a few seconds to increase strength while punching, turn off after unexpectedly stronger attack. A bit like Kaio Ken.

Also how would Karn be able to wield Wolf Knight Blade while Energy Body is active?
>>
>>4969265
When he finds one he wants and can take, I’m sure he’ll try and snatch it just fine on his own. But through your eyes, he knows he must be careful. Esoteric techniques only go so far when people can casually toss planet breakers around, and he was never one for the more subtle machinations of his craft.
>>4969532
They try so hard, and finally manage to get a single hit in, only for you to completely ignore it and continue spinning and flipping around them for real morale damage.
You’d have to test it to find out.
>attacks
You’re missing the single-best part of using telekinesis with Energy Body: pulling fleeing enemies TO you.
Any exertion of physical power through Energy Body would be mitigated, if not outright blocked. Which is why you can’t use ki, as it’s physical energy.
>Also how would Karn be able to wield Wolf Knight Blade while Energy Body is active?
Just fine, but unable to directly channel your ki into it for those magical Death Slashes you were firing at Akuma.
>>
>>4969579
>You’re missing the single-best part of using telekinesis with Energy Body: pulling fleeing enemies TO you.
I now have an idea.
>Abuse Telekinesis, drag enemies towards self
>Energy Body passively soaks up whatever they throw at us
>Enemies enter grappling range
>Engage bitch choking hands
>Go for Immovable Energy Body when firm grip is established
>Hold until poor bastard is deader than disco
Would this be able to stuff the "TRY SOMETHING" counter?
Alternatively, we could use the TK to combo into a Red Dawn Grinder.

The problem with Foresight is that several of our higher end opponents can work around it, if not have an ability to outright disregard the ability, or even use it against us. Which can lead to our deaths.

Expanded Ki Sense being great for IT and utility purposes, but like Foresight our coming endgame opponents will be on the level to counter us regardless, if they aren't goons which we execute anyways.

I disagree with your thought that Aura Shell will be largely offensive. With it's aid in our ki refinement combined with our Berserker Ki training being benefited hugely, it also might serve as a method for Berserk God Evolution. On top of being a method of training and leading to being able to use Ultra Instinct. Thus making Aura Shell and extreme boon to future goals.

Energy Body will still be a great buff to training and close combat attack and defense, dulling our techniques not withstanding. It could give us the gains for at least furthering our base to such a level the Berserk God being viable. However with that in mind, even with it's great general utility in combat and protection. We will still be hit, when Aura Shell can help us avoid attacks period, thus allowing an unstoppable assault.
>>4967694
> Aura Shell- By spreading your aura out around you, gain increased awareness of your immediate surroundings including non living matter and different energies within your range. Meloka’s sensory technique, allowing one better control of energy projectiles within the area, and you can fully sense the shape of other beings and their energy who enter your space.

This is a great arc so far. Here's hoping our choice makes the best difference. The kids will grow up to be their best, I just hope we can get them to keep growing and not settling down.

I don't like Aura Shell because it will leave us as just being a second-rate Meloka; following in her footsteps with these ki control techniques, but not being as good at them.

Let her do her thing, and we'll do our thing, playing to our strengths.
>>
>>4969765
The big part for Aura Shell is the control we gain over our ki, which is the biggest thing we need for Berserk God.

I thought the big thing about Berserker God was overcoming the insane rage inherent in the forms, not so much how good one's fine ki manipulation was.
>>
>>4969797
Ki control is a big part of making sure the ability to go even further would work. Calming the rage and calming the Ki function the same way for all intents and purposes. The control means that process should be even easier.
>>
>>4969800
In that case you could argue that mastering the dark side (of which rage is a big part of) would go a long way towards getting Berserk God.

I don’t recall this at all mate. Berserker has always been Willpower more then anything else. See Broly as a perfect example.

The biggest perk of Aura Shell is giving you perfect AWARENESS of everything that is within your range. Spreading your aura out in that manner allows you to see everything, and not just what’s visible.
>>
>>4969903
So sudo Ultra Instinct. Perfect.
>>
>>4968646
>The way it works is that, while active, your energy is hardened into forming the shield around you. You can’t fire energy through this condensed shield while it’s active. However, another point of training it to be the passive skill will be mitigating this weakness, allowing for far faster toggling the skill on and off allowing you to still use your energy attacks as you normally do. But during those brief moments of gathering your ki and firing, you’ll be without the shield.
Nice. This is a really short time of opportunity to try to land a hit on Karn without the shield on. Plus being able to use energy attacks like normally is a benefit too.
>>4969579
>You’re missing the single-best part of using telekinesis with Energy Body: pulling fleeing enemies TO you.
This is very good.
>>4969595
I like this. It is great. Now to make this combination even more overpowered imagine that the enemy that is trapped by Immovable Energy Body's hold suddenly sees that Karn summoned Divine Dragon Force.
Only few would be able to escape this and avoid getting destroyed by DDF's eraser attack without any chance to dodge since Immovable Energy Body's hold would trap them.

So there's this idea.
>Karn pours so much power into the Energy Body that it causes him move two times slower and requires much more effort to do so.
>But after walking like this every day he gets so strong it no longer holds him back. He walks with it active as easily as if there were no Energy Body active.
>So he repeats process and again and pours even more power into Energy Body to make it difficult once more.
>Later on he adjusts to it again like he did before.
After repeating this process over and over we will not only see the increase in Karn's base power level but also the density and endurance of the Energy Body would be improving. This would make the technique even more resilient.

>>

Not even close. Ultra Instinct, with the way Dragonball functions is your body moves autonomously, without your brain’s input while Energy Shell creates a field of your ki that you sense things by how your ki cannot enter that occupied space, forming a perfect outline of everything around you. The best way to explain this is using another popular shonen’s example, HxH. Specifically the technique En, as they’re incredibly similar.
>inb4 u can’t compare kiddie dargon ballz to muh greatest animu evaah
I can and I will. By spreading the body’s energy out thinly and much wider from one’s self than normal, you become somewhat more vulnerable to physical attacks. However, the trade off is you can perfectly “see” everything physical around you at all times like personal sonar. Full 360 awareness for several yards in all directions from you could be a powerful asset even without mixing Meloka’s techniques she’s crafted to complement this ability, like the One Hundred Eyes variant of her Warding Eyes. And that’s just the one you saw her developing in the war.
>>4970340
Yes it is, and can also be the perfect bait if your opponent realizes that weakness. Like faking a Time Skip. Baiting an attack just to draw them in, reactivate and tank their hit then counter is an effective strategy, especially against any enemy wearing reflective glasses that shine.
Telekinesis has been underutilized by Karn, but by focusing on Energy Body would therefore focus on it as well, with a lesser focus on new ki techniques. These passives are(mostly) deciding a style of fighting moving forward, capitalizing on these newfound advantages. Relentless aggression? Predicting and countering? Unpredictable and unstoppable mobility? Perfect awareness and inability to be sneaked?

Is this what it is? I'm surprised Gokus actually trying to learn it in canon since it sounds like it takes all the "fun" out of a fight.

Not exactly. The first time in the anime against Jiren he certainly did, and possibly the second against Kefla at first too. But as he used it more, he was clearly conscious. Now it’s more he’s a spectator watching his body fight as he’s trained it to, without waiting on his brain’s input.

They're communists. Anything not made by their group is the enemy if it can't be repurposed or infiltrated. Or conversely, is so small they don't notice the thing in question. Anything that brings joy must be erased or subverted. Especially if it brings people not part of the in group together. Luke Skywalker, He-Man, John Conner, Mad Max, The Gunslinger, and many others. Do you happen to see a pattern here?

>Telekinesis has been underutilized by Karn, but by focusing on Energy Body would therefore focus on it as well, with a lesser focus on new ki techniques.
So while using the Energy Body can Karn make a large and wide telekinetic slap moving in certain direction? It was often described that Karn can feel something resisting his telekinetic grip, trying to break free. So this wide telekinetic open hand punch would be like a sonar wave. He could sense that his enlarged hand made from telekinesis encountered some invisible target. Gif related.
Then he could grab the target. By being clever with telekinesis we could expand Karn's sense of touch outside the shield of Energy Body.

By doing those telekinetic waves fast enough and wide enough Karn could quickly scan his surroundings and anything that can be touched by his mind's power would be detected. As he goes better with it he could send such telekinetic waves that are in a fully spherical shape in result giving him awareness of what is around him.

If these waves were send repeatedly enough it could give him pretty good awareness of what is around him even if he closed his eyes. And if Karn learned to send them in a not too massive force he would avoid destroying everything in the process like in this gif.
Is this doable?

By the way quick question. Right now Karn is using his Berserker Ki and it's okay. When Karn will get Berserker God he will get God Ki. This new Ki will make the Energy Body's shield more powerful. Right?
If he theoretically had Evil Ki would it made a difference in how Energy Body functions?
If he used Demonic Ki from Super Villain form to make Energy Body would it make some noticeable difference? (I'm guessing Energy Body formed from Demonic Ki would be more vulnerable to God Ki?)
>>
>>4970754

>By the way quick question. Right now Karn is using his Berserker Ki and it's okay. When Karn will get Berserker God he will get God Ki. This new Ki will make the Energy Body's shield more powerful. Right?

Why I added gimmicky. No one would trade a corgi for a chihuahua or a pitbull.
>>4970754
With telekinesis, you could certainly train to affect larger and larger areas. However, a push and a grab would be two very, very different applications.
As for some sort of force sonar, it’s not necessarily feasible. Completely ignoring the mental and physical toll such constant channeling of so much power would have, the centuries of effort it would take to reach such a level aren’t practical. Perhaps you should ask Bane how many eons such a skill would take to develop?
>When Karn will get Berserker God he will get God Ki.
Again, not quite. He will have -a- type of divine ki. But it will not be the same as Hakai, Super Saiyan God/Blue, Demon God, Guardians, etc. It is something quite different.
As for Supervillain, adding that demonic ki to your Energy Body will have a few extra benefits. And that’s all I’ll say on that for now, need to leave some surprise benefits for after the choice is made.
>>4970756
A Berserker God is less about controlling ki, as you’ll be radiating so much power you could power Cold’s fortress single-handedly for centuries in just a few weeks. The only way to go up from there is not to master your energy, or even mastering the form. But mastering yourself.

Saiyan Conqueror Quest 161 Intermission:
-Foresight-

AGE 757, BATTLE OF GODS TIMELINE

“Well then. How about you come and show me the power of a Super Saiyan God?” Beerus the Destroyer asks, rising up to his feet. You take your fighting stance, the fiery divine aura blazing up around you. You see with your Foresight that he’s waiting on you to make the first move, and you’d hate to disappoint.
“Hrrrraaaaaaaa!!” you roar, and seeing that you’d launched yourself too fast and would blaze past him, correct yourself and swing. The Destroyer actually braces himself, catching your right fist with his left and stopping your charge. He’s going for a right next, and so swing your left towards his fist. Both of you swing simultaneously, fists clashing and creating a powerful shockwave.

But as the two of you push against each other you testing this newfound divine might against him, suddenly your foresight clearly sees Beerus grabbing you by the hand and slinging you. So instead you leap back into the sky, your fist pulling back from his an instant before he tries grabbing you. You see the Destroyer’s eyes narrow at this, his gaze intense for a moment. But then he simply smirks, lifting off the ground and flying up after you. The instant his feet leave the ground you forsee his next attack, a turning right kick aimed for the side of your head. So as he charges you raise your guard, bracing your left forearm with your right hand as he begins turning. An instant later Beerus’s leg connects, your guard blocking the hit while you counterattack.

“HYAAAA!!” you roar, firing your Guided Eye Beams for Beerus’s face. The Destroyer leans his upper body back, easily dodging your beams. But you’d already seen his dodge, and knowing which way he’d move, and already began curving your beams before he’d actually dodged. As Beerus moves he sees your beams moving simultaneously, forcing him to raise his arms to guard his face from your attack. Your beams aren’t nearly enough to pierce him, but keeps him occupied as you flip forward after him and swing with a downward heavy right. “GRRRAAAAAA!!”

Knowing he’d be distracted by the beams you don’t hesitate, your fist connecting to his jaw. Your punch sends the surprised Destroyer crashing back down to the ground, Beerus flipping back as he approaches and lands squarely on his feet. And with your Foresight you see him immediately blitz back up at you, head striking your crossed guards so you cross your arms to block the immediate counterattack from Beerus. However, the Destroyer doesn’t charge, and remains standing on the ground. After a second your vision changes, seeing Beerus talking to you from the ground. So you lower your arms, and see the Destroyer simply staring up at you.
>>
>>4972903
“Interesting.” Beerus says, lifting slowly up off the ground until he’s floating across from you. “You’re clearly seeing my attacks before I move. Is this the power granted to a Super Saiyan God?”
“No, not quite. That ability is my own.” you reply. “I spent years training it in anticipation of our battle.”
“Oh, I see.” he replies, smirking and backing up a bit from you. “Seems that I’ll need to step up the pace, and force you to try a little harder then.”

And then he’s gone. You see him move behind your back in your Foresight, but as the vision happens you feel a heavy strike to your back.

“GYAAAA!” you cry out in surprise and pain, immediately twisting clockwise into a right elbow strike towards the GoD. He catches your attack with his right, immediately backhanding your ribs with his left hand then following it up with a left punch to your jaw. His strike sends you crashing to the ground, smashing back first into the dirt. You immediately flip back to your feet, and see a vision of Beerus suddenly dashing behind you and going for what seems to be a chokehold. So you bait the attack, raising your right hand as if to fire a blast, and Beerus moves.

The Destroyer dashes right at you, then at the last second flies around behind you, and gets an arm around your throat with ease. But he fell right into your trap, as you foresaw he would, and so swing your right elbow back. With his right arm around your neck he’s unable to block, wincing as your first strike lands with bone-shattering force. You draw your arm back again and strike the GoD a second time, Beerus pulling his arm back and letting you go with a spin. Before you can recover, he kicks and sends you flying out over the ocean. Tucking into a backwards midair roll, you flip easily a dozen times before coming to a full stop. As you do, you see the Destroyer God’s next move. And sure enough, he acts as you see, flying directly towards you. He’ll again try for a spinning right kick, this time aimed for your midsection instead of your head. And knowing his plan, you charge headlong at Beerus, gathering a bit of ki into your left hand while seemingly pulling back your right for a strike. Beerus closes in, and sure enough spins for the kick. But as he swings you stop your charge, twisting clockwise out around his foot and activating your Ki Punch. “HAAAAAA!!”

“What?” Beerus shouts, almsot getting his guard up as your ki-clad fist strikes his jaw. Your energy explodes, launching the surprised Beerus back dozens of yards before he stops himself. “Heh. Not bad, I actually felt that one. Well then, I suppose it’s about time to be done with the warm up.”
“Couldn’t agree more.” you reply, retaking your stance as the Destroyer grins at you wickedly.
“Oho! I’ll show you what it truly means to be a god!”

-Aura Shell-

AGE 753, ALTERNATE NEW SALDA?

“Really now? Really?” you ask, twisting aside counterclockwise with your Su Ma technique and dodging the invisible blade of ice thrust for your back. While twisting you fire off a left backhanded chop, metal crunching as your hand cuts through the invisible assassin’s metal neck. And sure enough, a second or two after decapitating it in a shower of sparks, the now-headless Lin Kuei assassin seemingly materializes beside you. The now headless assassin tries turning towards you and swing it’s blade for you wildly, but in your Ascended Berserker form simply reach out and catch the icy blade with your right hand. You’re too strong, the ice simply shattering in your grip. Before it can react you dash forward, driving your right fist straight through it’s chest. You then drive your other arm through, tearing it right in two and chucking the two halves of the would-be assassin aside. “Is this your best? Please tell me one of you can do better.”

“So you can see us.” the one directly in front of you says, the machine’s invisibility rapidly fading as it takes a single step closer. “Interesting. But we have you surrounded.”
“Only fourteen of you?” you ask, smirking as you take your stance facing him. “This will be over quick.”
“Your time is over.” the machine replies, throwing it’s icy sword at you. With your Aura Shell active you can see the blade perfectly in your mind. You know exactly how long it is, how fast it’s spinning, and that two of the machines to each side of you immediately begin moving the instant this group’s speaker threw it’s weapon. You feel their movements disturbing your aura as they charge, quickly realizing that the ones to your left will reach you first at this rate. So you decide to meet then first, twisting and launching a Death Slash with your left hand. “What?”

“HAAA!!” you roar, your blade bisecting the two still-invisible machines. Then as the frigid sword approaches you reach out, the hilt landing perfectly in your outstretched hand. Then with practiced precision twist back clockwise, swinging the captured blade for the two who’ve almost closed that distance. The icy blade slices clean through the first machine man, bisecting it’s torso before the blade slams into the second one. Halfway through the second one’s torso the blade shatters, unable to take the pressure. You leave a good third of it embedded in the machine while the rest simply breaks apart, leaving you holding little more than the icy hilt. “And then there were ten.”
>>
>>4972912
“KILL HIM!!” their speaker shouts, and turning you raise your left hand towards him and fire a Scatter Beam. You feel your five energy beams pierce through its arms, legs and head, the damaged knees no longer able to support it’s frame and the machine collapses. Then the last nine standing all attack as one. The two to either side of the downed one create their own still-invisible frosty swords, while simultaneously the remaining five behind you all start throwing icy shurikens at your back.

“Pathetic.” you say, gathering your ki into your right palm. Then at the last second you backflip over the shurikens, pitching the orb towards them. Your orb bursts into dozens of smaller blasts, your Scattershot consuming all the star-throwers together in the explosions. Using the momentum you finish your spin, landing back in your feet facing the downed but not destroyed machine and the remaining four metal swordsmen. Retaking your stance, you gesture for them to come at you with your left hand. “Let’s get this over with.”

And to your surprise, none of them immediately charge you. Instead they all begin looking between themselves, clearly hesitating.

“So I guess even machines like yourselves can feel fear.” you say, rising back to your full height and walking towards the group. “I guess I’ll end this.”
“Brothers, we cannot fall!” the downed one suddenly shouts, catching you and them by surprise. “Release the drones!”
“What?” you say, as suddenly the downed machine starts glowing red. It’s chest opens up, and it then fires an orb about the size of it’s fist into the air. Then another, and another. But what’s really shocking is that the rest of the machines, even the downed ones, also begin glowing and releasing whatever undamaged drones they also have. All in all, there are suddenly twenty one of the spherical machines flying circles in different directions around you all, some closer and some farther. Then suddenly one to your right, and one directly in front of you fire piercing icicles towards you. Leaning back you dodge the one from your right, then reach up and catch the one fired at your face. However, the moment you do, you realized you messed up. The sub-zero ice instantly freezes your hand to it, and encases from your fingertips to an inch or two past your wrist in ice. This is bad. “Shit!”

“FIRE!!” the downed machine yells, and fire they do. Each of the drones fires an icicle at you from all different sides and angles, while the four machines still standing fire beams of ice from their chests at you. And your senses can’t handle so many different moving pieces at once. You’re overwhelmed trying to process everything, but it’s just all too much to take in and you can’t move. Then the icy attacks all hit, and freeze you solid.
>>
>>4972919
“Dammit!” you think to yourself, and despite being frozen still tracking all the machines moving around you. “How the hell did they know?”

Your one weakness with this technique is the same as when you started: you can only process so much. At first you could only keep track of an attack or two headed your way, fired from Meloka or one of the kids as you focused. But as the years went on, you gradually improved how many different moving things you could track simultaneously. And right now, unfortunately your limit is still only around twenty or so. But twenty six different enemies plus all their physical icy attacks simultaneously proved too much for you to handle. So you’re going to have to eliminate the drones first, and immediately if you want to win this. And unfortunately for them, you have just the technique.

“GRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Focusing your ki for a couple seconds, you unleash your energy in a powerful surge from you on all sides with a mighty roar. Your Explosive Wave shatters the ice trapping you, then you lose focus for a couple seconds as your mind tries tracking all the newly-created ice shards flying in all directions. But after a second or two they’ve either been blown out of your range, or into the floating drones and knocking them out of the air. As your short-range explosion ends, leaving you floating above a shallow crater, you can sense that your blast destroyed all the machines. None are left standing or whole, ripped to shreds by your explosive energy. Looks like you still need a lot more training, time to add another dozen of Meloka’s Warding Eyes to track when she gets up.

AGE 763, POTENTIAL FUTURE?

“Well done everyone! You all pushed yourselves hard today.” you call out to your students after the afternoon training is done. “Now go get yourselves something to eat and some rest, tomorrow’s going to be even tougher. We’re cranking the gravity up another three notches, so you all better be ready!”
“YES SIR!!” they all shout, then they begin dispersing. But after a few moments you hear the sound of someone using Instant Transmission to appear behind you. Several of your students are clearly surprised by Meloka’s sudden reappearance.

“Hey hun, welcome back.” you say, turning to see your redheaded wife leaping at your neck and hugging you. You return the gesture, holding her to you and enjoying your wife’s embrace. She’d spent every other week for the past several years with Whis and Beerus, learning to access and master her newly-gained divine powers obtained from that Super Saiyan God ritual. However, she’s back a couple days sooner than you’d expected her back. Which is surprising, and a bit worrying. “Everything going well?”
“Oh yeah, I’ve been making some serious progress.” she says, still holding you tight. “And I finally did it. I got to that next level Whis was talking about.”
“You finally mastered your training in that wierd dimension you were telling me about?” you ask her. She’d told you before of that unique training dimension Whis can create that, without perfect ki control, you can’t even move around inside. Which sounds grueling as hell, at least for you. “Very nice.”
“Hey. Wanna see it?” she asks in your ear, then leaps back a bit from you. You see Meloka clench her fists, and suddenly she begins exerting tremendous pressure as her fiery divine aura blazes up around her. “HAAAAAAAAA!!”

Some of your students who’d been sticking around start talking amongst themselves, but your focus is entirely on Meloka. You watch as her aura begins condensing more around her, turning from a fiery red and orange into a tranquil, almost-white tint of blue. Then this divine aura surrounding her seemingly hardens, forming the outline of your wife’s form. And as you watch, that solid outline begins cracking. As you watch, what now seems more like some sort of shell around her begins breaking from her feet up, revealing her newest form. Instead of crimson hair and eyes, now your wife’s are both a pale blue. Her aura’s changed again as well, now also the same blue but with a hint of the Super Saiyan’s gold inside it as well.

“This is to go Super Saiyan with Super Saiyan God energy.” she says with a smug, cheeky grin. “But that’s a mouthful, so Super Saiyan Blue is just fine.”
>>
>>4972929
“Well then, how about we test this power of yours out?” you ask, taking your fighting stance. But she doesn’t, crossing her arms instead. “What?”
“Not like this.” she answers. “You can’t sense god ki, but you’re nowhere close. At least like this.”
“Oh, so it’s gonna be THAT kinda sparring match, huh?” you ask a bit teasingly, crossing your arms in front of you while lowering your Energy Body and letting your power flow freely. One of the side affects of your aura passively forming what amounts to a suit of armor around you is that, to transform, you do have to momentarily focus on turning off the technique. But the moment you stop focusing on that it’ll reform, almost instantly. Time to see what this Super Saiyan Blue can do! “Then let’s go. GRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

You unleash your full power, energy spiking as you unleash a deep, primal roar. You feel your hair growing longer and longer, weighing down on your head as it rapidly grows down to your lower back before stopping. While doing so your eyebrows vanish, and your strength multiplied itself over several times as you take on your current strongest form. Berserker 3. The moment your transformation finishes you feel your Energy Body spring back to life around you, once more sheathing you inside your hardened aura.

“Now that’s more like it!” she exclaims, taking her newer fighting stance she’s been learning from the angel. Neither fist closed, ready to activate one or both of her Ki Blades at a moment’s notice.
“So, who’s stronger?” you ask her, retaking your reliable stance with your left up and right held back ready to strike.
“C’mon hun, that’ll take all the fun out of it.” she says, immediately blurring towards you while drawing both swords and her aura fades out. Unsure of the power difference you raise both arms defensively, one azure blade striking each. And to both of your surprise, neither of her blades so much as scratch you. “N-No way. Nothing? Divine ki is supposed to make everything created with it more real.”

“Looks like those “gods” may have greatly exaggerated their effectiveness.” you retort, then without waiting for an answer you throw your arms wide and try to strike her with a headbutt. But it’s immediately clear to you that she’s much faster, looking like a blue blur as she disengages. Then she turns right back around and closes again, this time swinging a fist for your jaw. And to your surprise you actually feel the punch. Her blow turns your head aside a few degrees, catching you off guard a bit with her new form’s power. You knew that, thanks to the Time Patrol’s near-constant interference in your lives that Blue was the stronger form, but not that it’d make that much of a difference. You couldn’t even feel her punches in Super Saiyan God before. Looks like this’ll be fun.
>>
>>4972876
Wish I could tell you senpai. Some have been so fucking dumb.
>>
>>4972932
“HRRAAAAA!!” you roar, trying to retaliate with a right of your own but Meloka simply blurs back a dozen feet well before your punch got close. As your missed punch reaches the end of it’s range she blurs in again, and rapidly fires off three quick punches. Once again you try retaliating, this time with a left jab, but she easily blurs back out of your striking distance. If her strength matches her speed in this form, no wonder you felt her punches. If you didn’t have your Energy Body shielding you and mitigating most of her power, she may have taken you out in a single blow. But now it’s time to show off what you’ve been working on. “You’re quick hun, there’s no way I’ll catch you like this. But you won’t be able to escape this one.”

“Oh yeah?” she replies teasingly, and again blurs to you. Her fists strike your face na dozen times this time before she backs up, but as you throw your left fist forward you suddenly open and seemingly grip the air. But Meloka suddenly realizes what you’re doing, a moment too late. “Huh?!”
“Gotcha now!” you tell her as your telekinetic grip closes on her, locking your wife in place as if grabbed by a giant invisible hand. Pulling Meloka to you as you jerk your left back, you also swing with a powerful right hook that catches the trapped Meloka right on the jaw. Your punch connects with satisfying force, and releasing the telekinetic hold allows your swing to send Meloka meteorically crashing down to the ground below. A few seconds later, before the dust even begins settling your wife blasts back into the air, azure aura blazing up around her. And you notice a bit of blood trickling from the left side of her mouth, Meloka wiping it off with the back of her hand before retaking her fighting stance.

“Now that’s better.” she says, expanding her pale blue energy out around from her until you can no longer see it, her Aura Shell clearly encompassing both of you easily. “Let’s see what this form can really do.”
“Bring it on.” you reply, retaking your own stance. “Give me everything you’ve got!”

AGE 766, NEW SALDA?

“Dammit, they just keep coming!” your redheaded wife Meloka snarls, cutting down one Saibamen-sized being seemingly made of shadows and hate on either side with each of her blades.
“What’s taking Raven and Chilli so long?” you wonder aloud, snatching two of the pint sized shadow demons and smashing them together. Fortunately this kills them and doesn’t simply combine the dark creatures, which first crawled out of the pit a few days ago. At first it was only one or two, but soon a veritable flood of the dark beings rose from the depths of the M’lurnian ruins to destroy everything living above. King Vegeta immediately mobilized the Guard to contain the threat, and when the mobs didn’t stop coming an expedition back into the tunnels was made to find the source and either contain or destroy it for good. However you were overwhelmed, only able to get yourself, Chilli, and Broly back out as everyone else was killed.

But Chilli had been hurt in the foray, tainted by the darkness and nearly consumed by it and you’d taken him to Raven as the only other magic-wielder to try helping him. But that was three days ago, and as the undisputed strongest on New Salda, you’ve been here outside the pit helping stem the tide ever since. After two days he recovered, and the both of them went through one of her portal’s down into New Salda somewhere. With your Expanded Ki Sense boosting your awareness, you’ve played a pivotal role in the planet’s defense, able to sense whenever anyone’s faltering and arrive just in time with Instant Transmission to save them. But this battle is wearing you down.

“Dammit!” you snarl, raising your right hand to your forehead as you suddenly sense Leyas’s ki drop dramatically. “Can you hold here?”
“I’ve got this, go save them!” Meloka shouts while cutting down another three with a spin. Without another word you teleport, using your Instant Transmission to instantly appear beside your longtime friend and ally. And he’s in rough shape. The sudden drop in his ki was from what just happened, one of the shadowy beings had slashed your friend across the lower chest, his guts spilling out
“We’re going.” you tell him, grabbing his shoulder before he can speak and disappearing. You teleport to the main field hospital, appearing beside your daughter Caulifla who looks like she desperately needs to rest.
“I got him, go!” she shouts, laying a hand on Leyas and nodding to you. “Be safe.”
“I will.” you reply, returning to the battlefield beside Sarada and Nappa, who’s been fighting with him on the other side of the pit. Just in time to snatch one going for an unsuspecting Sarada’s back, and tossing it back into the crater “Leyas took a bad hit, he’ll be back shortly.”
>>
>>4972939
“Dammit, we can’t keep this up!” Nappa pants, bloodied chest crisscrossed with bloody but not lifethreatening cuts heaving for air. “Where’s the damn reinforcements?”
“What, giving up already old man?” Sarada taunts, not in much better shape herself. But ever since Nappa’s hair fell out, leaving his dome slick, she’s been calling him an old man every chance she gets. “Is it naptime aready?”
“Why you little-?” he snarls, then takes out his aggression on another of the little shadow beasts by simply stomping it out of existence. “When this is over, I’m going to kick your ass myself!”
“Dammit, another one.” you say, feeling another ki suddenly begin dropping. “You two got this?”

“Sure, go keep playing hero and saving everyone.” Sarada taunts teasingly as she obliterates one with a thrusting left kick. “We’ll do all the hard work.”
“We’ll hold.” Nappa assures you, and once more you vanish, reappearing beside one of the younger generation Guard. But, unfortunately, you’re too late to save him. As you appear, you see three of the beasts with both hands through his chest and legs, and before you can act another one’s jumped behind the poor kidc and decapitates him with it’s claws. You won’t let the poor kid go out alone.

“HAAAAAA!!” you roar, firing a wave of ki from your left hand and obliterating the lot of them. Your fellow Saiyan’s body survived the blast, but the shadowy beasts were erased. Taking two steps to stand over his body, you fill the poor Guard’s post, slaughtering these monsters by the dozens as the battle drags on. But then, after a few minutes, you feel something different. At the extreme range of your ki sense, you suddenly pick up an unknown energy signal. But whatever it is, it’s undoubtedly something connected to these creatures of the Dark. Without hesitation you again raise your right hand to your forehead, and teleport down to it. Whatever the hell this thing is, you’re killing it right here and now before anyone else dies. But as you reappear, the being before you catches you by complete surprise. “Wait, what?!”

Foresight confirmed based as fuck for both offense and defense
>>
>>4973082
I daresay this confirms ALL options as based as fuck for both offense and defense. I was worried some of them simply wouldn't fit Karn, originally, but now the only one I have that sort of feeling about is Ki Sense.
>>
>>4973086
I do have to wonder if foresight is fully broken for people who have Karn’s special fatebreaker shit goin on, or if the “effects” can still be foreseen.
You might not be able to accurately see Pablo the man who broke the chains of destiny, but it MIGHT be possible to see the tree that breaks from Pablo’s attack. Idk how it works fully
I reckon thats something we’d have to pick it to find out about
>>
>>4973086
To be absolutely fair, Karn being a constant observer of everything that goes on across the planet fits him to a T.
He's the Champion of New Salda, in every sense of the word.
In another timeline, I could totally see anons voting for Expanded Ki Sense.
>>
>>4973082
It is a solid technique, as long as it gives you useful information soon enough for you to react to.
>>4973086
And that’s the point. If any one was objectively better than the others, then this wouldn’t be an actual choice.
>>4973093
You’d get a random result from Foresight. Now it could show what your opponent would do, or it may be something that’s completely irrelevant. Or even something that’ll get you maimed.
>>4973094
It’s always an option, but Champion only works on New Salda. In your own timeline, after when you gained it.
>>
>>4973168
Hey quick question. Does Karn know in-character that Karn Jr. is also not bound by fate?
I can't remember exactly when that detail was dropped.

Which means those that can skip time, time stop, or are just faster and stronger will get around it. I figured Foresight was the weakest, and was vindicated. But I was holding out hope that Aura Shell would perform better.
>And that’s the point. If any one was objectively better than the others, then this wouldn’t be an actual choice.
You did good making it a tough choice of the three. Energy Body is the solid best choice. With Expanded Ki Sense being a close second. But this seems pretty obvious.>>4967694

Switching to Energy Body. I want to see the 3 Stooges react to fighting a walking blackhole. OH, Can we modify the Energy Body to make Spikes on it as well, or even just sharp edges? I wanna play Karn the Beef Grater.

>Not helping! Oh shit!
Unceasing Grind- Grab opponent in Energy Body grapple, Extend Spikes, Suplex until opponent is chunky salsa. Reinforce Energy Body to prevent victim from escaping.
>>
>>4967694
> Foresight- Focus on your connection to the dark energy as Bane, and through intense practice gain the ability to glimpse into the future. Can allow one to detect assassins the second before they attack, and see openings in a foe’s movements before they move to allow for much more brutal counterattacks.

>>4973430
Glad you enjoyed, but revealing all that now would be potential spoilers.
Time Skip really counters Foresight hard, as while they’re skipped they don’t appear.
Aura Shells biggest weakness is how much your mind can process at once. But as long as you’re within your tolerances, it’s pretty hard to stop.
>Can we modify the Energy Body to make Spikes on it as well, or even just sharp edges?
Not during this training arc. But potentially later
>>4973446
Something like that is possible, but it wouldn’t work with the Grinder. As you’d have to form a sphere around yourself of the spikes before blasting them out.

And here we are, less than 24 hours until this episode continues! The vote closes in just under five hours as well, so finalize your choices now!

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After battling an animated M’lurnian corpse and judging two of Silver’s disciples’ work, Karn was then confronted by one of Ubo’s people, who made his entrance pile-driving Ubo down from somewhere in space. After a hard-fought battle, Chaya returned to her arena fight and wiped out her and Raditz’s older opponents with ease. But then Broly and Chilli stepped in, and despite Raditz and Chaya’s excellent teamwork, Broly’s power and Chilli’s magic proved too high a wall to overcome. After seeing your kids progress, however, you’d then thought of your own training. And as we rejoin Karn, flying back home to get lunch, you’ve decided on which skill you’ll train to have active permanently.

“So I’ve been thinking about something.” you say to Meloka, the kids all talking amongst themselves about Chilli and Broly’s match with Chaya and Raditz. Who’s also going with you all. “I’ve been thinking about a different kind of training I’m going to start doing.”
“Oh? And what’s that?” she asks, Karn Jr in her arms also looking to you curiously. Even little Okira in your arms seems to be looking to you, head cocked a bit and looking at you with her large eyes. But instead of saying what you’re planning, you decide to instead show her. You focus, drawing your flared aura’s power back in and once more activate your Energy Body. Your emerald-sheathed body glows with hardened ki, drawing concerned and worried looks from the older kids.

“Dad?” Chaya asks worriedly.
“Is everything okay?” Broly asks, nearly the same time. Even Raditz seems suddenly concerned, but you quickly dissuade their concerns.
“Everything’s fine, we’re not under attack or anything.” you say casually. “Just going to be starting a new training regimen going forward.”
“With the Energy Body? But what could you be-?” Chilli asks, when suddenly his eyes widen in surprise. “Wait, you-you’re gonna keep that technique going all day, aren’t you?”
“And even longer, when I can manage it.” you reply. “Eventually I want to have my Energy Body up constantly, without constant effort or thought.”
“That sounds cool!” Caulifla says, but Chilli’s clearly, deeply pondering what you’d told him. You can almost hear the gears working inside your son’s mind, and are sure he’s cooking up something himself. But speaking of cooking, you land down on the island with your family plus Raditz in tow. Which only leaves one question:

What’s for lunch?
>See what Silver and/or his disciples have made
>Let the kids fish under yours and Meloka’s supervision, but keep them close by to hopefully avoid another Mindslayer
>Take Raditz way out fishing to hunt a Mindslayer, and have a one on one talk with him

“Oh, something smells good.” Caulifla says, turning towards the opened ramp of your ship.
“Well let’s go find out what it is.” you say, everyone walking up and inside except for the youngest two which you and Meloka are carrying. It doesn’t take you long to reach the mess hall, and when you do you see a small crowd gathered. Most people eating are your old crew, Leyas and Sarada, Camali, Tunnip, and a few other familiar faces all eating down on what seem to be the same sort of meat buns you’d had during this morning’s competition. Feeling your own mouth starting to water you all sit down, and after a moment Jim and Alice come out of the kitchen holding four platters piled with the fist-sized buns.

“Look who’s back for more.” Alice says to you, something in her voice catching your attention but you’re not sure what it is. However before you can ask she’s already turned, leaving you all to your lunch. Glancing towards Meloka she raises an eyebrow at you curiously. But you just shrug, unsure what it was all about and instead focus on eating. Where you immediately discover a problem. Raising the first bite to your mouth, your Enrgy Body blocks it! You smash the bun against your hardened ki, it bursting in your hand.
“Huh. Shoulda expected that I guess.” you say, sighing out and suppressing your Energy Body. You don’t deactivate it, but keep lowering and lowering it until you can take your first bite. As you chew yours, you hold it out for Okira, who looks questioningly at it. “Go on kiddo. Take a bite.”

“AAAAAAH!” she says, opening her mouth. As she does, Imagine Dragon bolts out, bites down on the bun, and pulls it to her mouth. Your eyes widen a bit at this, seeing your daughter willingly open her mouth like that is a clear sign she’s more comfortable with her Stand than before. Which is a good thing, as her Stand is possibly even more powerful than your own and working well with it could one day save not just her own life, but possibly everyone’s. “Ommm.”
“Did-Did she just...?” you hear Raditz ask, you looking over to see him staring at Okira confused.
“Did you see that?” you ask him, suddenly curious. Perhaps he can see a Stand as well?
“It just flew into her mouth.” he says, stull sounding a bit shocked. “Does she already know telekinesis or something?”
“Well, so much for that.” you think to yourself, Caulifla explaining Stands to him as if this wasn’t the first conversation she’s had.

After a half hour or so everyone’s eaten their fill, the platters before you all empty, and you rise to leave. But as you do, the trio of Leyas, Sarada, and Tunnip all walk over, their meal finished as well.

“So I’ve been hearin’ about this super-secret training group you’ve got going on.” Sarada says by way of greeting. “And we’ve all talked it over. We want in.”
“Really?” you ask, genuinely surprised but glad to hear it. “Great, come on down.”
“And I’m not takin’ no for an ans-wait what?” she asks, confused. “Just like that?”
“Of course?” you reply, now feeling a little confused yourself. “My training is open to anyone and everyone willing to work hard and not slack off. But don’t think we’ll go easy on you because we’ve been friends so long.”
“Ha! Bring it on, I can take everything you can dish out!” Sarada taunts.
“Appreciate it.” Tunnip buts in. “I’ve been hitting a bit of a slump in my own training, and haven’t really been progressing lately.”

“You’re all welcome to come join, we’ll be heading over there in just a moment.” you say, then turn to the kids. “What about you all?”
“Radi and I gotta get back to the ring.” Chaya answers, arms casually behind her head as the two start walking away. “Got to get a few more matches in, make sure the cameras and everything’s ready for next week.”

“Well you two have fun, and don’t forget to train as well.” you tell her, then turn to your kids. “Alright, everyone else with us. Time to get back to training.”
“Yay!” Kayle and Maz both shout excitedly, you all leaving the ship and headed outside. Chaya and Raditz take off towards the arena, while the rest of you all fly off towards your designated training area. You touch down after a few moments of flight, finding most of your Super Saiyan disciples already here along with about a dozen of your non-Super Saiyans. You inspect each of the chambers while waifing for your other students to arrive, making sure no surprises are inside and that they all still work. All of them do, and as you exit the final chamber the last few students arrive. Time to get back to business.

“Alright everyone, glad to see you all back!” you call out, leaping atop the chamber and addressing everyone. “Time to get to work! Split into grops, and let’s get started!”

Your students, children, and friends all mix together into different groups and get to work. You teleport from chamber to chamber, encouraging them to surpass their limits and cranking each chamber up by several gs. You rotate through each chamber then teleport outside, just in time to see Chilli sparring with one group of students all by himself, Broly facing another. And while Chilli’s demonstrating the Su Ma technique you and Meloka have been teaching them to great effect, Broly’s approaching this far differently.

“HAAAAA!!” he roars, charging through a punch from Totoma and hitting her square in the nose, sending her flying. The next moment Arugu and Ketan both flying kick his back, but he seemingly doesn’t even feel it. And that’s when you notice it: his energy isn’t simply controlled, but is using your Energy Body technique as well. He then turns into a spinning lariat, blasting them both with his arms and sending then flying the opposite direction of Totoma.
“Heh. Not bad.” you say, and again teleport back into the first chamber. Once you finish another rotation you and Meloka call it, switching the chamber and sparring groups out. You continue in this way for several hours, your students pushing themselves to the limits of their abilities. But all the while, you’re training yourself as well. Not the same way you’re trianing them, as they’re still a long way from reaching you physically. But instead you’re training your Energy Body. Spending your entire time while training your students, you kept your Energy Body active. And to your surprise, at the end of the day’s training for your students, you don’t feel any more exhausted for keeping it up.

“Huh.” you think to your wife, as you and Meloka call and end to today’s training. “I thought it would be a bit more effort.”
“What would?” she replies, confused. “Oh, you mean your shield?”
“Exactly.” you answer her, surprised yourself. “I thought keeping it up all this time would leave me at least feeling a little drained. But I’ve barely noticed it.”

“Great work today everyone!” you call out, again atop the gravity chamber as your students are gathered below. “Now get yourselves something to eat, rest well, and I’ll see you all back here tomorrow!”
“SIR!!” they all salute together, leaving your friends a bit confused by the reaction. However everyone begins dispersing, quickly leaving you and your family standing with Leyas, Sarada, and Tunnip as the both of you walk over to them.
“So, how was it?” Meloka asks Tunnip, who’s chest is still heaving a bit. “Enjoy some real training?”
“Goddammit, I’ve been slacking.” Meloka’s longtime rival-turned-friend says. “Man, I really needed this.”
“This was nothing.” Leyas counters with a bold-faced lie, despite the fact he was barely able to stumble to the showers after leaving the chamber minutes ago. “Now it’s time to eat! C’mon, you should come with us. We know a great place.”

“Hey if you’re paying, sure let’s go.” you answer. “Where are we headed?”
“Back into the city proper, I know the place.” Tunnip answers. “Right next to the spaceport, so all sorts of interesting characters wander in from time to time. I made a killing last time I went, thanks to your daughter.”
“Gambling?” Meloka asks, her friend only giving her a sharklike grin in response.
“The food’s great too, tastes like what we used to have back on Freeza Planet 79.” he says, sounding almost nostalgic for it. “Back in simpler days.”
“Yeah, back in the day you also ate rocks.” you retort, Sarada busting out laughing. “So we’ll have to see. Everyone ready?”

“Yeah!” most of your kids shout, you seeing Chilli still just staring at Leyas with a mixture of confusion and worry. You turn back to your friends, and tell them to lead the way. They take off, you all following behind as Leyas and Sarada lead you all towards the city. But instead of heading towards Tatsu’s little underground bar/diner, or the fancier place you’d met Turles at. Instead they lead you all over to what seems to be a bustling spaceport, ships of various sizes all parked around a cluster of buildings or flying in and out of atmosphere. You notice one in particular, a hulking yellow ship that you could’ve sworn you’ve seen somewhere before. They lead you down to a large, rectangular squat building that, to your surprise, has a gravity pressure room while every building is seemingly interconnected.

“Why does it have a gravity door?” Chilli asks. “Do they increase the gravity for some reason?”
“Not increase, decrease.” Tunnip tells him as you all land outside the pressurized door. “Offworlders have a rough time with New Salda’s gravity, we have I think like eight times the average gravity of everyone else. So they’ve lowered the gravity inside the spaceport for those who aren’t locals or from other high-gravity planets.”
“Oh, I see.” he answers, you all walking into the pressurization chamber and closing the door. It seals with a pressurized hiss, and suddenly pressure you hadn’t even realized was pressing down on you begins to lift.

“Woah! I feel so light!” Maz says, Kayle doing a standing triple-backflip as the weight lifts off their shoulders.
“So cool!” she says, landing easily on her feet. “I feel so strong now!”
“Just be careful, and watch where you’re going.” you tell her, the inside door suddenly sliding open. “Walk slow.”
“Ok.” she answers, and you get your first look inside the spaceport.

You find yourself inside a rather spacious mess hall, several screens on each of the different walls all showing different feeds. Or rather, mostly different feeds. You notice Chaya and Raditz are fighting against a pair of non-Saiyans, but seeing as how your daughter hasn’t even transformed they clearly aren’t a threat at least once on each wall, the clear Dreadzone logo in the bottom corner of the screen. Most people are only talking to those at their own tables, except in the corner where what seems to be gambling on the dreadzone fights overhead is going on. Tunnip immediately heads over there, no doubt to make a bet. Meanwhile your gaze passes over the crowd, you seeing a clear difference in the types of people gathered.

There are almost no actual Saiyans inside, even the working staff are various PTO races. You see the clear tourists, all wide eyed and looking at everything while the dxoerienced mercs are just minding their business, enhoying a meal fixed by someone else during a long journey. You see some cloaked or otherwise concealed figures each off to the sides, away from the noise and simply nursing their own drinks. Including one rather large one, with a drink in each hand. Each of his four hands. Guess the proud so-called Dragon hasn’t actually left New Salda yet. You don’t worry about the figures who clearly wish little more than to be left alone, and sit at the largest open table in the middle of the room that sits you all. Everyone except Sarada, who just casually walks back into the kitchen like she owns the place.

“Where is she-?” you ask Leyas, who just chuckles.
“You’ll see.” he replies, when you see a peculiar-looking lanky man glance towards you all. Seeing you looking towards him he immediately turns his gaze back to his companions, what seem to be a cat-like creature and a small robot as they all start whispering furiously amongst each other.
“Wierd.” you think, and keep looking around. You see a redheaded man with a woman, and a smaller blonde kid all sitting together, as well as a group of Yautja all nursing their drinks. But as you finish your glance around the room, not seeing anyone too familiar, again you catch the pompadour’d man glaring your way again. You can almost feel the animosity radiating off of him, but you aren’t quite sure why. Maybe you wiped out his people years ago?

But what do you do about this?

“Hey. You.” you think to him, the man jumping in his seat so badly he nearly drops his drink. “Yeah, you. The hell are you looking at?”
“Get out of my head!” he shouts, slamming his fist on the table. “What more do you want?”
“Uhhh, what?” you ask, still non-verbally. “I’m speaking to you telepathically. Just think what you want me to hear, no need to yell.”
“Oh great. You really are in my head.” he replies, this time telepathically as he turns to glare at you again. “Because of you, I lost everything! That old bastard cleaned me out!”

“Cleaned you ou-Wait. You didn’t bet against my daughter losing a fight or something, did you?” you ask, eyes narrowing when seeing the man’s expression freeze. “You really bet against my kid, didn’t you?”
“No I didn’t. I bet against, uhh, well you.” he replies, starting strong then immediately losing steam as he realizes he’s teling you, to your face, he bet against you. “When all those ships were coming down, I bet against you guys.”
“You....You bet on the Covenant winning against us?” you ask him. “dYou really thought I would let someone take my home?”
“I didn’t think one man could make that much of a difference against ssuch an overwhelming force.” he replies. “I’ve fought my own share of dark empires, evil overlords, and whatnot. But I’ve seen what they can do firsthand. I didn’t think their military could be beaten.”

“Well, I hope you learned your lesson.” you think to him, turning your gaze back away from his table. The whole telepathic conversation took less than ten seconds, but you notice Meloka looking between you and that guy concerned. “Don’t worry about it, guy’s just mad he lost a bet.”
“Oh, okay.” she replies, but still glances over sideways at him for a few more seconds. “Chaya?”
“No, me.” you reply, seeing her glare immediately darken. But you wave it off, and turn your focus to the kids who’re watching what looks like a fight at Dreadzone. You see a redheaded woman with a halo of swords behind her, using some sort of telekinetic power to control them and viciously attack the robotic fighters.
“That’s a rather interesting technique.” Chilli says, and watching how she handles so many blades at once glances to Meloka. “How many do you think she’s consciously controlling?”
“Probably only the ones she’s moving.” your wife replies to him. “See how the rest stay moving in that same pattern behind her? Probably a set motion, keeping them all there until she reaches out for them.”

“Dinnertime!” Sarada shouts, kicking the door down and leading a procession of several people carrying platters of something towards the table. And as they approach you smell something familiar, and as the first one is set down you recognize the meat. It’s a Mindslayer!
cont
>>
>>4975531
“Is that?” Meloka asks, but clearly none of the kitchen staff are Saiyans. Not one of them would have been able to take down such a beast, hell probably not even all if them working together could have taken it down.
“I think so.” you reply, Sarada looking smug as ever as she sits down between you and Leyas.
“C’mon, eat up! My treat.” she announces, digging in herself. Leyas, you, and your kids all do the same, and sure enough, it tastes like Mindslayer. It tastes even better than the energy-cooked meals you’ve made of the beast before, and now you’re absolutely certain that Silver would make something incredible with one. Which again brings you back to your first question: who hunted it?

“Aaaah, wasn’t that good?” Sarada asks after a full, contented sigh. “Best meal I’ve had all week.”
“Mindslayers are dangerous, but they’re certainly delicious beasts.” you reply, Sarada turning to you curiously. “Not just anyone can hunt these things.”
“They’re certainly awful.” Leyas says with a wince, you seeing him almost unconsciously reaching towards his head for a second. And he confirms what you’d thought about who the killer, or rather killers of this beast were. “Not again.”

“Wait, you two killed it?” Broly asks, looking between them. And you see he’s clearly looking at them differently than before, your son having fought one and nearly faced his own end. “Impressive.”
“Woah! That’s so cool!” Cauli shouts. “Those things are real big and scary!”
“They may be big, but your mother an’ old man over there are scarier.” she says, stage whispering to her and getting your daughter to giggle. You can’t help but smile at this, you sitting around with your family and friends talking amongst yourselves after a long day. It feels good to unwind, even as you reactivate your Energy Body back to full you lean back in your chair as you soak it all in. Your friends all start sharing stories about your childhood with the kids as well, you noticing more than one set of onlookers watching and listening carefully. But it doesn’t matter who overhears you having a good time, their opinions mean as little to you as their miniscule powerlevels compare to your own. But after awhile you feel it getting late, and seeing the sun beginning to set outside you decide to call it a night. Saying your farewells you all take your leave, back through the pressurized exit and heading back home. Chaya and Raditz meet you there, walking out of the mess hall as you all are headed to the showers before bed. But before you get in, Chilli stops outside.

“Everything okay?” you ask, your son nodding.
“Yeah, I just gotta get back.” he replies. “Another monster is trying to attack, you know how it gets.”
“Of course, you got this.” you tell him encouragingly, patting his shoulder. But someone takes this news far worse than you are.
“Wait, you’re leaving already?” Caulifla asks, sounding really hurt as she runs up to him. “No, not yet!”
“Sorry sis, but they need me now.” he says, hugging her close a moment before letting her go. But she doesn’t, still holding him close. “Cauli, I gotta go.”

You see this going on, and instead of interfering you let Chilli handle this. Your son is more than capable of taking care of this situation, and could be a good learning experience for them both.

“No! I’m not gonna let you go!” she pouts, and actually locks her hands together behind his back. He realizes this and tries prying her arms off, but instead stops and trades a glance with Broly. “You’re not going away again!”
“Sis, I gotta.” he replies, gently patting her back as you surprisingly hear her sob. “They need me there to take care of them. Everyone’s counting on me. Would you like it if someone kept Dad away when you were in trouble? If they selfishly kept him for themselves, instead of letting him save us. Would you be okay with that?”

As Chilli speaks you see the conflict in Caulifla’s mind written plain as day on her face. She doesn’t want to keep him from helping others, as she’s very clearly a beliver in such actions. But at the same time she’s still a young kid who loves her older brother, and doesn’t want him to leave her again. She’s thinking furiously about this, and when she notices you looking at them both her whole expression suddenly lights up. Seems she’s thought of something.

“Dad can I go with him?” she asks you suddenly. But you were expecting this. “Please?”
“It’s not up to me.” you answer her. “That’s Chilli’s call to make, not mine.”
“Please?” she begs him. “Please please please please?”
“Okay, but just for a bit.” he replies, turning to Meloka. “Is that okay?”
“Sure. You two look after each other, okay?” your wife asks as Caulifla squeeees in excitement. The pair quickly say their goodbyes, Chilli encasing both of them in a block of his magical crystal that obscures them both from view. And after a few seconds the lump shatters, neither Chilli not Caulifla anywhere to be seen.

The rest of the evening is event free, everyonr bathing and heading off to bed. Raditz and Chaya take their own room, while you and Meloka take your own with most of the rest if the kids. You and Meloka lay down, Okira and Karn Jr nestled between you while the rest of the kids pile in, and before you know it you’re already falling asleep. Before the darkness takes you, you feel yourself smiling. You are content.

As you feel yourself drift off into nothing, suddenly you find yourself in the familiar black void. Immediately thinking you know what’s up you look around, yet don’t see anyone. No Towa, no Fu, no Mechikabura, no one. Which is really damn odd. Usually the onlu eay you end up here is if someone wants to talk privately with you while you sleep. But they’re usually the one waiting here for you, not the other way around.

“Huh. This is different.” you say, crossing your arms. “Alright, whoever’s out there: show yourself already, or I’m waking myself up.”
“Go ahead, if you can.” comes a reply you weren’t exactly expecting. “But it’s useless. You’re in my realm now.”
“Something’s wrong.” Divine Dragon Force says, your crimson-scaled dragon suddenly appearing wrapped around your right arm. Surprisingly you feel it, and realize you dropped your Energy Body when you went to sleep. Something to work on going forward, but not really relevant to what’s happening now.
“Your mind is under attack.” Bane’s spectre says, appearing suddenly to your left. “You cannot sense it, as powerful magic has been encoded into your mind years ago, protecting you. Yet someone is still trying to enter and control your mind.”
“Heh. Thanks To-.” you start to say, and then suddenly something begins appearing before you. And you recognize that amulet. What you don’t recognize, however, is the being holding it. He appears as a very tall, slender built man dressed in formal-seeming blue robes with golden accents. His skin is completely white and decayed, eyes changing from white to green and back again, and holding a familiar amulet. “Who the hell are you?”

“Interesting. Such delicate handiwork, not many possess the skill to craft such a thing.” the being says, then addresses you directly. “Tell me, who has crafted such a defense within you?”

“That’s not how this works.” you say, clenching your fists and Ascending in a burst of enerald sparks. “You don’t get to just come into my mind and start making demands, asshole. Unless you wanna die.”
“I think you misunderstood why I ventured here.” the amulet-wielding spectre says. “I am not saying that I could not dismantle such defenses eventually. But that it would be faster to simply ask, and allow you the privilege of speaking on your own behalf.”
“You can fuck right off with all that.” you reply. “You tell me why you want to know, and I might, might consider telling you.”

“You would dare issue orders to an Elder God?” the being says, and suddenly your instincts warn you that you’re in danger. He thrusts the amulet forward, and some sort of magical energy beam is fired from it. “Perish for your insolence!”
“Dragon Force!!” you shout, your Stand leaping forward and eating the beam of magic! Your jaw drops as, instead of sumply blocking the strike as you’d envisioned, your Stand devours the blast of magical power. Which clearly catches this tresspasser off guard, ending the attack. “Woah.”
“It would seem he isn’t entirely lying.” your Stand says to you, eyes ablaze with power. “That energy was something divine.”

“Now I see.” the spectre says, now more contemplative and all the earlier signs of aggression gone. “So this is why the Demons’ God has his eye on you. Interesting.”
“We should destroy him.” your Stand says, you also realizing Bane’s vanished completely. Clearly wanting no part of this. “Now.”
“Now now, let us not be so hasty.” this so-called Elder God says, again sounding as if he’s in control. “Even if you were to strike me, I cannot die. So why don’t you hear me out instead?”
“I don’t think so. You’ve made your intentions clear.” you reply, taking your fighting stance floating in this dark void. “Now get out of my head, or die.”
“You will not stop me, Champion.” he replies, catching you a bit by surprise. How the hell does he know about that? He then creates a staff around the amulet, wielding it in both hands as he’s clearly ready to fight.

“I, Shinnok, will be freed once more.” he says, flourishing his staff as you pull your right fist back, readying to attack. “You mortals cannot keep me bound forever.”
“I’m going to kill you, right here and now!” you retort, emerald aura flaring up around you.
“Such insolence!” Shinnok snarls, firing a much larger wave of his magic towards you. “Die!”

Dashing straight up, you easily avoid the crackling beam of Shinnok’s divine magic. He snarls, ending the beam and firing another one. Which you narrowly dodge, twisting clockwise around his beam and watching it pass by your chest. Flaring your aura, you then fly around the beam and dash right towards the so-called god.

“Divine Dragon Force!” you roar, your Stand enveloping you as you charge with a primal bellow.
“What?!” the self-proclaimed god shouts, again ending his attack. Instead of trying again, however, his entire body begins radiating with his divine power. Clearly trying to shield himself from your attack.
“HAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, swinging with everything you’ve got.
“GRRRROOOOOAAAAAAARR!!” Divine Dragon Force bellows, and as one you and your Stand strike. Except neither your fist nor Stand connect, instead soaring straight through him.
“What?” you shout, caught by surprise as you simply pass through him and keep going instead of hitting something. “No way!”

“I told you I cannot die.” Shinnok taunts, you turning yourself and Divine Dragin Force around just in time to take a blast of his magic head on. You feel the attack through your Stand, it blasting the both of you back and away. However your Stand did mitigate the worst of it, vanishing and leaving you with only what feel to be minor burns covering your right arm. “You, however, are quite mortal. And one day, you will die, and your soul will be mine to judge as I see fit. Choose your actions carefully, mortal.”

Well, that didn’t work. What now?
>Force yourself to wake up, you could be in real danger

“You think I’m just gonna give up after a single attack?” you ask, opening your hands and closing your eyes. “You clearly don’t know who I am.”

As Raven’d instructed you before while meditating, your mine is your stronghold. Whatever you can see happening, will. Thoughts are power. So you turn your thoughts to your weapons, and envision them appearing in your open hands. A second or two later you feel them, the familiar grips feeling comfortable in your grasp. And opening your eyes, sure enough, both weapons have suddenly appeared. The Wolf Knight Greatsword appearing in your right while the chieftan’s Gravity Hammer is in your left. You raise the sword and point it at the so-called god, channeling your energy into the blade until it begins glowing azure with power.

“You had your chance to leave peacefully.” you say, then without another word charge.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=Fle6vCiL7wE

“You think your little toys can stop me?” he says, again pointing his staff at you and firing another beam. But this tume you slash, swinging your blade from left to right and firing another magical Death Slash from the artifact. Your blade of energy cuts clean through Shinnok’s attack, and severs the amulet-embedded top of the staff from the rest and Shinnok himself. “Wha-GAAAAH?!”

Unable to phase through your attack, your blade slashes him across the upper torso, the deity’s blood spraying across the void. But you don’t stop there, rushing in to immediately take advantage of the opening.

“HRRRRAAAAAA!!” you roar, lunging forward and thrusting the ancient sword straight through his torso. You then tear your blade free by twisting and jerking it down and out through his left side from under his ribs. As you twist you also swing with your left, the striking surface of the Gravity Hammer slamming into the right side of the stunned deity’s head. The hammer’s shockwave explodes, blasting Shinnok straight down away from you. But then you notice you knocked him down closer to the falling amulet, and can’t let him reclaim it. So you again channel your ki into the blade, dashing down after him.
“No!” he roars, reaching out towards the falling amulet. But you won’t let him.
“HAAAAAA!!!” you bellow, and instead of swinging your blade horizontally, you thrust it towards him. The azure energy explodes forth from the blade in a spiraling, piercing point like your Piercing Fist MkII. Before he can react, your energy blitzes straight through his back, shredding the god’s form irreparably. His entire visage begins fading, rapidly disappearing into short-lived, crimson motes of sparkling light. And just like that, he’s gone. However, the amulet is still there, falling deeper and deeper into the abyss. You got him.

“Karn! Hurry, I need your help.” Raven thinks suddenly, your eyes widening in surprise. And sure enough you’re wide awake, realizing several different things at once. First, you’re still in your Ascended Berserker form, your family still asleep around you. So either you maintained it through the night, or your dream transformation didn’t wake your family up. Either way, you telepathically grab onto your kids, and gently lift them just enough to slip out of bed before setting them down. And now freed you rush to the door, snatching your sheathed blade and slinging it over your back then reach your right hand to your forehead. “Please, hurry!”

Focusing on Raven’s flared demonic ki, you once again teleport headfirst into danger.

Then he should find a way to establish his independence as advantageous to the PTO, lest his clan get absorbed or exterminated.
>And this is why proper delegation is a slept-on skill.
Huh. I guess I never really thought about it that way, but it makes sense.
Frieza isn't making every single decision in the Empire after all, no leader does.

Speaking of Frieza's Empire, how are Cold and Cooler doing?
I'm excited to see what gains the both of them have made.

>Then he should find a way to establish his independence as advantageous to the PTO
He has to re-establish first. They lost almost everything when they got captured by the Covenant, and were basically disbanded.
>Frieza isn't making every single decision in the Empire after all, no leader does.
Exactly. This is why the Vegeta line on Planet Vegeta, and others on different worlds are essentially chosen to rule the planet, and answer directy to either Freeza or to a delegate in charge of several planets all in a single system.

>Present Kano makes a threat and reminds her that if Past Johnny dies, Present Johnny dies as well.

I find the whole thing kinda silly since the only reason he died is because he reminded Past Sonya of something she would have remembered if being voiced by Rhonda Rousey didn't give her brain damage.

The next moment Arugu and Ketan both flying kick his back, but he seemingly doesn’t even feel it. And that’s when you notice it: his energy isn’t simply controlled, but is using your Energy Body technique as well.
Broly has been training his energy and anger control intensely. This seems to sets him towards attaining Berserker 3. Now he started using Energy Body. He decided to follow the same path that Karn is going. I think he will not try getting Primal variant of transformation. He will try to be like Karn as much as he can.

>“They’re certainly awful.” Leyas says with a wince, you seeing him almost unconsciously reaching towards his head for a second. And he confirms what you’d thought about who the killer, or rather killers of this beast were. “Not again.”
So did Chilli noticed earlier some sort of mental wounds that Leyas has? Situation seems to suggests that they are from the fight with Mindslayer.

This is so great. We finally in character discovered this power of Divine Dragon Force. This is a step towards Dark Dragon Force and perhaps other variants depending on type and amount of power devoured. The best thing about this, as we saw in one epilogue, is that Karn's Stand can revert back to being Divine Dragon Force by throwing away the all the absorbed power.
>>4976337
>Divine Dragon Force bellows, and as one you and your Stand strike. Except neither your fist nor Stand connect, instead soaring straight through him.
Good move. I wonder if he can do it outside of the dream. Seems like he became immaterial. I guess in this state he was not able to physically punch either.

Only somebody who was strong enough to breach through her powerful magical protection in her treasure vault, because I''m guessing that's where she hid the amulet. I'm guessing it's another strong Planeswalker.
>>
>>4979414
Potentially. The big problem with the Hive were they were less-emotional than robots, easy(after a bit of experience) threats to wipe out wholesale, and on top of that just boring. Short of someone landing a 1, they weren’t really dangerous to the cast, and didn’t actually have any special, standout abilities to make the fights engaging. It felt more like a chore than a battle writing them after a point. And enemies who skulk in the shadows are fine, but not when they’re overused like the Alien franchise itself became. The Zerg at least have potential, with all the possible wildly different anatomies and abilities they could possess.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 161 Epilogue-

AGE 749, NEW SALDA

“What a day.” you say with a sigh, using your telekinetic powers to lift Ubo off the top of the “tower” as the sun sets and fly down to the door. It opens with a hiss as you force it open as well, carrying Ubo’s still-sleeping frame inside and shutting the door behind you. Knowing the layout of the ancient vessel you navigate easily inside the darkness, finding the bedroom you’ve given him and lay him down on the bed. With your power you tuck him in, then leave the room and let him keep sleeping peacefully. “And here I thought the Supreme Kai showing up was a sign of today slowing down.”

You are Raven: the half-demon empath daughter of the late Trigon and the current Guardian of New Salda. And after everything that’s happened today, you’re ready to get some well-deserved rest of your own. However, as a Guardian, you don’t exactly sleep anymore. Instead it’s more of a meditative trance, connecting your consciousness to that of the planet’s and passively observing everything that happens. So you turn from Ubo’s room, and begin silently making your way towards the former Guardian’s Sanctum. Deep within the ancient space cruiser, near the heavily-warded armory you come upon the once-mechanized doors, and place one hand on each side. Focusing on your mantle of Guardian, you send a whisper of power into each of the large metal slabs. They silently slide open, almost as if still brand new and not a mechanical door with centuries of neglect. But the door opens, you walking inside and feeling them shut behind you. And despite it being much to large for you, even worn down ovet countless millenia, you take a seat in the Guardian’s Throne.

What was once no doubt an imposing, high-backed throne with intricate details is now a weather-worn, smooth seat still clearly built for creatures closer to Karn’s transformed size than your own. As you sit upon the ancient seat of power you immediately feel your connection to New Salda intensify, feeling that familiar sensation of being in contact with every living being on New Salda. As you take your relaxed, meditative pose, you think back to when you’d first sat upon this seat and were overwhelmed. Despite being an empath, and able to sense the emotions of those close enough around you, being connected in that way to the entire planet all at once was a horrifyingly beautiful experience. So many emotions swelled within you, millions of sights, sounds, and sensations that they completely overwhelmed you. But over time, with the ancient master’s guidance you’d learned not only how to tolerate but to master this extreme awareness. And now you can do it even without conscious thought.
>>
>>4980860
Slipping into your meditative trance, you passively observe the planet from within your sanctum. You see the nighttime hustle of the city and spaceport on the land, while the M’lurnians are heroically battling another Mindslayer that ventured too close to their city beneath the waves. Karn and his family are all sleeping soundly, except for Chilli who went back to the Crimson Demon village, and Chaya who’s live filming another workout with her fans online in the ship’s chamber. You aren’t aure why people would want to watch someone else work out, instead of doing so themselves, but you reckon there are all kinds out there.

As the night settles in, the M’lurnians now celebrating their victory against the Dark creature, suddenly you sense a surge of magical power nearby. But not just any magic. This magic is clearly demonic. Recognizing the threat you immediately focus on it, rising to your feet and opening your portal between the new source of demonic magic and the armory. You aren’t sure, but you have a sneaking suspicion that this demon’s here for one thing.

“Well now, this is rather unexpected. But not an unpleasant surprise.” says a very tall, pale, well built man with red eyes. He is also completely bald, devoid of any hair on his head or face with what seems to be a Bloodstone embedded in his forehead. Just like yours. “Greetings, daughter of Trigon.”
“Who are you?” you answer, his smooth tongue not lessening your suspicions. “And why are you here?”
“Of course, where are my manners? I am the sorcerer widely known throughout the realms as Quan Chi.” the demon asks, sweeping his right arm dramatically as he bows. “Perhaps you’ve heard of me?”
“No.” you answer, growing more suspicious and gathering a bit of your power into your open palms. “And you have exactly thirty seconds to explain why I shouldn’t send you right back to wherever the hell you came from.”

“Straight to the point I see. Very well. I am here for my stolen amulet.” he says, at least partially confirming your suspicions as to where the amulet Silver had for some reason’d come from. “As the clan of assassins known as the Zoldycks had launched their attack on the Lin Kuei fortress, I snuck inside to search for my lost artifact. But it was no longer there. I’d thought the assassins had taken it, but when I’d confronted the elder he said he hadn’t seen such a thing, but offered me anything I wished from the fortress while he and his family continued their work. I tore their fortress apart, yet my amulet was long gone. I had all but given up hope, until now. I can feel it, it is through that heavily-warded door behind you.”
>>

“Yes, it is.” you say, feeling a bit more sympathetic towards him. But still wary. “Because that artifact is extremely dangerous. I could sense whatever malevolent entity lurks inside it wanting to get out, and if such a being were released, there is no telling how much evil it could unleash.”
“Evil? On a world soaked with more blood than most?” he replies, taking one measured step closer while showing his hands empty. “I can sense your planet’s bloodlust, not to mention that of the apes living here.”
“Those ‘apes’ are my friends.” you spit, taking your fighting stance. “And I think it’s about time for you to leave.”

“I’m too close, you will NOT stop me!” he snarls, taking an unfamiliar stance. It looks somewhat similar to that Akuma’s from earlier, right arm down defensively and left arm held overhead, both hands open. “That amulet is MINE!”
“Azarath Metrion Zynthos!” you shout, throwing your hands together and firing three bolts of pitch-black lightning at the man. Who shouts something that honestly sounds like gibberish, a sickening green aura around his hands, as he quickly conjures up a wall of skulls! Your obsidian bolts crackle against his wall of bone, you ending the attack after a second or two realizing you’d waste yoo much power trying to break it. So you prepare to create a portal, ready to counter his retaliatory strike. And screaming some gibberish in another language, his attack comes. A giant skull wreathed in bright green flames explodes through the skull wall, screaming towards you. But you are ready, and activate your portal. “I don’t think so!”

Your dark portal appears, his attack disappearing inside it. And the sight of his own back, firing his blast into your portal over and over shocks him for just long enough. And before Quan Chi can defend himself, his screaming attack slams into his own back.

“GAAAAAAAH!!” he cries out in pain, dropping down painfully to a knee. Now’s your chance!
“Begone!!” you shout, ending your portal and firing a beam of your demonic power at him. He raises his hand and fires back, his green energy slamming into your dark power. And as your energy clashes against his, you realize what his power is and you’re suddenly a lot more worried. His power is not just demonic, but it’s clearly necromantic as well. The longer this demon’s alive, the greater the chance he can drain yours or someone else’s life force to supplement his own power. You have to end this now! “Grrrr! Get off my planet!!”

With a shout you redouble your efforts, your beam swiftly overwhelming the sorcerer’s. But just before the impact, he suddenly vanishes! Your beam passes right through where he’d been, you feeling his ki reappearing a few feet above you. Before you can react his feet slam into your shoulders, Quan Chi driving you down through the ancient metal floor with the force of his dive. You both fall through a couple floors before finally coming to a stop, Quan Chi leaping up a couple yards to stomp down again. But you’ve already had enough of that.

“Get OFF!!” you roar, unleashing a sphere of magic that blasts Quan Chi’s diving form back away from you. The sorcerer backflips once, landing on his feet and sliding to a stop.
“Impressive. Were this a contest of magic, you might possibly defeat even me.” the sorcerer says, reaching and pulling a pair of slightly curved, single-edged swords from behind his back. “Now, let us see how skilled you are at kombat!”
“If you won’t leave, I’ll end you myself.” you retort, taking your Su Ma stance. And without hesitation he charges forward, aiming a right thrust for your heart. Stepping back with your right foot you twist clockwise, his sword sailing harmlessly past your chest. Snarling he swings the blade back at you with a backhanded strike, and by leaning backwards you dodge this second strike as well.

“HAAA!!” he shouts, chopping down at you with his left handed sword. But you slide back with your left foot and turn counter-clockwise around this strike, leaving him wide open. Which you take, twisting back around and slamming your right fist into his jaw with all the power of your legs, back, and arm. You feel the shock of your punch reverberate back up through your fist and arm, all the way up to your shoulder. Yet despire swinging with all your physical might, your hit barely staggers the sorcerer a single step to his right. Which he immediately recovers from, turning back towards you with a left backhanded slash. “Bitch!”

You duck the first blade, only to see the second aimed right for your heart as he thrusts again. Too close to dodge you try and stop his sword with your telekinesis in desperation. But you can’t stop it, only deflecting it so that instead of piercing right through your heart, his blade pierces straight through your guts. The cold steel feels sickening inside you, and with a savage jerking twist Quan Chi pulls his blade free. Crimson blood sprays him and the ground between you, you falling to your knees as the sorcerer gloats.

“Not bad. But you’re no fighter.” he replies, sheathing his weapons as you fall over to your side. And without another word leaps up, back through the newly-made hole in the ceiling as your vision starts going fuzzy.

“Dammit! Not like this!” you think, coughing up blood as you’re unable to speak. He hit something important, if you don’t fix it and fast, this could be your end. So you let him go, confident in the late Guardian’s wards and focus your magic inward on yourself. But noy just your own magic, you also focus the mantle of Guardian inward as well, stitching up the damage enough to take Quan Chi down.

“Something is wrong.” the booming voice of New Salda’s avatar blasts in your mind. “There is a being near you that shouldn’t exist.”
“I know, he just stabbed me.” you reply, feeling the damage he dealt rapidly healing as the seconds tick by.
“Should I awaken the Champion?” New Salda asks, you pondering it for a second. But then you hear what sounds like a ward shattering, and realize there isn’t time. Without replying you force yourself upright against the pain, and fly back up through the holes he made with your body. Reaching the Armory’s level, you see the remnants of the magical wards around the door, and the doorframe itself burning with that same necromantic, emerald fire. Dammit, this isn’t good! He actually breached through!

“No no no!” you mutter, rushing over to the door just in time to see the sorcerer opening the box, and removing the amulet from within. “Oh no you don’t! Azarath Metrio-!”
NO.” an unfamiliar voice says, as a beam of crackling energy explodes out from the amulet. You have just enough time to realize that it’s actual divine energy before it slams into you, the beam launching you back out of the room and into the far wall. The ancient metal bends but doesn’r break, leaving you hanging suspended in the wall as the speaker begins materializing. As you’d feared, the entity you’d sensed sealed within the amulet begins to emerge.

“Lord Shinnok!” Quan Chi says, the sorcerer immediately kneeling to the clearly-divine being standing before you all. “It is good to see you again.”
“You have done well to locate me, Quan Chi.” the god standing before you both says, the sheer divine power radiating off him making you tremble. “Now eliminate this Guardian, and let us be on our way.”
“Of course.” the sorcerer agrees, nodding and rising to face you while gathering magical power into his hands. You can’t beat him, not like this. So you focus, and unleash the full power of your demonic side. “What?”
“A demon, mortal, and Guardian?” this Shinnok says, looking to you with renewed interest. “Curious. Perhaps you’ll be more entertaining than I’d first estimated? Show me what you can do, Guardian. FIGHT!”

“This time I’ll take your head!” Quan Chi shouts, drawing both swords again and retaking his stance. But you’re done playing around, this time you’ll kill him!
>>
>>4980871
“Begone!” you snarl, reaching out and grabbing him with your telekinesis. Before he can counter your grip you’ve got him, crushing him instantly with your full power. You feel his bones all snap in your grip, you dropping the maimed sorcerer at the one who is clearly his master’s feet. “And now, it’s your turn.”
“Ohh? Impressive.” he says with a smirk, reaching down to the mangled body of Quan Chi. As he touches the one who freed him, there is a flash of blinding light, and Quan Chi has vanished. His energy signature, body, everything is simply gone, leaving no trace behind. “You may be worth some of my time.”

He then lets his divine aura flare up, and you realize you stand no chance by yourself. There’s only two people who can fight this being currently on New Salda, you have to wake either one of them right now!

“No you don’t, no bringing others here.” he replies casually, and suddenly his mind is pressing hard against your own. You can’t telepathically reach out to anyone, as he starts trying to break down your mental defenses. “Rejoice, for I have decided to make you mine. Now, submit. Become mine, and I can grant you power beyond your imagination.”
“Tch! Y-Your really think that’ll work on me?” you reply, raising your right hand and unleash a torrent of hellfire towards the deity. Which he simply raises a single hand, and seemingly catches it. “Your offers are more empty than my late father’s! At least Trigon could make his bad deals tempting!”
“Hmph. I gave you a chance to join me.” Shinnok says, you ending your blast and readying all of your power to fight him off. “But now, for resisting me, you must die.”

Guess that was just an image after all. Oh well. Guess its time for us to show this Elder God even Gods die. You gunna get cut bitch!
>>
Nice, Raven handled herself pretty well in that fight, all things considered.
>>
So, who wants to guess how long it's gonna take before Shin actually responds to this (if he even bothers to do so)
>>
>>4980879
And he knows now what you can do.
>>4980884
She’s not helpless, even against a being who has stood against a Guardian before.
>>4980891
This is actually ABOVE him
>>
>>4980913
>And he knows now what you can do.
So does the Time Patrol. That doesn't really help them much.
>>
>>4980920
To be fair, stuff like the time loli getting shanked was because they didn't know what we could do in that situation. Karn keeps getting worse for them in ways they don't expect.
>>
>>4980920
To be fair, they have one major problem. They train and prepare against how you WERE at one specific point in time.
>>4980923
True enough. Imagine how hard a time they’ll have with Energy Body Karn.
>>
>>4980998
So, how does time pass in the Time Nest compared to Karn's timeline?
Because it seems like they'll train for a few months in the Time Nest only to go back to Karn's timeline years after their last intrusion.
>>
>>4981019
its actually the other way around, they train for literal decades and decades and then come back and proceed to get their asses kicked after a few years, because they are failures in pretty much every sense of the word.
>>
And here we are, less than 24 hours before episode 162 begins. Are you ready to confront a god?

>>4981019
That question was hopefully answered by the epilogues. From the first time Trunks interfered in your timeline(ep 10) to now has been around a decade.
They’re kept busy with other timelines’ threats.
>>4981158
Not quite. From episode 11 to now has been 13 years quest-time, but only around 10 for the Time Patrol. And the years weren’t in sync
>>
>>4980872
So another godling on the kill list.
>>
>>4980913
>This is actually ABOVE him
Fucking what? He wasn't going to do anything anyways, but who is above him?
>>4980998
Do they go back to older versions of Karn to pretend they can put up a real fight?
>>
I liked this epilogue. Felt really magical themed and the Mortal Kombat themes were cool too. From Karn's point of view we never really get close to magic like this, because he has no magic talent.
>>4980864
>You see the nighttime hustle of the city and spaceport on the land, while the M’lurnians are heroically battling another Mindslayer that ventured too close to their city beneath the waves.
>As the night settles in, the M’lurnians now celebrating their victory against the Dark creature
This was supposed to be Crab People not M’lurnians. Right? We just recently found some undead ancient M’lurnian and he was like one of the last of his kind.
>>4980866
>“Evil? On a world soaked with more blood than most?”
New Salda is an unforgiving Death World to most inhabitants of the Universe. To Saiyans it's a nice home, even too soft for them so we got to make even harder Death World.
>>4980913
>This is actually ABOVE him
This means in other words that we can't count on Shin's help, but he might show up hours after the whole crisis is dealt with.
>>4981605
>And here we are, less than 24 hours before episode 162 begins. Are you ready to confront a god?
Yes. We are starting with a boss fight.
>>
>>4982557
Yes
>>4982559
Gods of greater magnitude than himself
That’s how they train.
>>4982612
Yes, it is a fun change of pace
I meant Rak’kari, thanks for catching that. My bad.
Just remember how many Covenant people died here.
>we can't count on Shin's help
But could you ever?
>>
It’s time!
