It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 750 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized across the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 51 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Emperor of the Universe, Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

A week after Karn and Raven battled against and resealed an ancient deity, on the first day of AGE 750, a tournament for those Saiyans under the age of eighteen was held. With over sixty competitors, the competition quickly grew fierce. One of Karn’s own children, the oldest twin girl lost her match to the half-Tamaranean daughter of Turles, only for Broly to avenge her loss in the second round. But as we rejoin Karn, having learned of a Sangheili sighting near Chilli’s new home, and just run Komand’r off for throwing a temper tantrum after her daughter’s loss, the third match of the second round is about to begin.

“For the third match, we have Kaliflor Clan-Clan against Kabash!” he calls out, then is immediately met with the cheers of the dozen or so Ctarl-Ctarl also spectating, Aisha among them and cheering the loudest. “Fighters, step up into the ring!”
“Are you tougher than the last guy?” she asks, with all the naivety and sincerity an eight year old can muster. “I want a good fight.”
“You’re too strong to underestimate. This may bite me later, but if I don’t use it now, I’ll lose!” he shouts, clenching his fists. And despite being less than a quarter as strong as her last opponent, you’re shocked as his aura starts shifting to golden as well. Is this kid really also a Super Saiyan? “HRRRAAAAAAA!!”

His aura shifts and hair spikes, but doesn’t shift into the true Super Saiyan form. Instead the boy takes the false Super Saiyan state, his entire body trembling as he struggles to hold onto his form. You know from experience he only has a minute or two at best, so one way or another this’ll be a short fight.

“Oooh, shiny!” she says, dropping down again into that almost-quadrupedal stance she learned from the Ctarl-Ctarl.
“Both fighters ready? Begin!” Freeza calls, both Karliflor and Kabash wasting no time and blitzing forward.
“GRRRRAAAAAAA!!” she roars, a war cry of primal, bestial power.
“HAAAAAAAAAAA!!” he responds, both swinging with their right fists into each other’s. The shockwave from impact knocks both fighters recoiling, but the half-Ctarl-Ctarl recovers first and immediately launches herself back at her foe. Who barely recovers in time, forced entirely onto the defensive as Karliflor launches into a vicious barrage of punches and kicks.

“What the hell?” Turles says, clearly shocked. “That little runt was holding back that much?”
“She’s still not going all out yet, either.” you reply, Turles making a choking noise as you watch Kaliflor’s merciless-seeming assault on that boy Kabash. “She hasn’t even transformed.”

“I forgot all about that.” Meloka says, your wife sounding genuinely surprised. “I wonder, would that transformation look more cat-like, or more Oozaru-like?”
“She can transform too?” Maz asks, you nodding while still watching her fight.
“Yeah, the Ctarl-Ctarl can transform as well, kinda like our Oozaru power.” you answer, the young man suddenly roaring in pain and outrage. His golden energy blazes wildly after taking a knee to the chest, you feeling his strength surging even higher as he digs deeper into that golden well of power to blast her back. You feel the young man’s power nearly double, a few flashes of gold in his hair as he nearly goes full Super Saiyan then and there. But then Kaliflor goes right back on the attack, slamming him in the jaw with a powerful right that knocks him back to the ground. “Plus, if Ticho’s anything to go by, she may be able to go Super Saiyan as well.”

“Woah!” your little boy says, amazed by the thought as the young man is pounced on by the half-Ctarl-Ctarl. Without hesitation she keeps up the attack, mounting his chest and swinging down heavy blow after heavy blow. Kabash then roars, golden energy exploding out and knocking the younger fighter off him. Landing on his feet you see his face is a bloody mess, but he’s not done. Pulling back his right arm you see him gathering energy, a whole lot of energy actually. This is it, this will be his final attack.
“If you’re so tough, then see if you can take this!” he roars, and to your surprise she crosses her arms, bracing herself for taking the impact instead of easily dodging that attack.

“Foolish.” King Vegeta says, shaking his head a bit. “She’s being far too arrogant.”
“Not like she doesn’t have reason to be.” Nappa replies with a smile and chuckle. “Only Karn’s younguns seem powerful enough to even stand a chance against Kaliflor.”

Well? What do you do?
>Telepathically tell the young woman she needs to dodge and counter, not risk losing her fight over something like this
>Telepathically tell him that this is his last shot, if he doesn’t give it absolutely everything he’ll lose the fight

“She is strong, but I have to wonder.” you say, both Vegeta and Nappa turning to you. “Children do inherit much of their power from their parents. So whoever her father is, he’s a Saiyan. And a powerful one at that. Nappa, do you have any idea who the kid’s dad is?”
“Me? Wha-Why would I know such a thing?” he asks you, sounding surprisingly nervous for some reason. Which confirms your suspicions immediately as to Kaliflor’s father’s identity.
“Ha! I told you, didn’t I?” Vegeta asks him, sounding quite smug. Nappa grumbles something, but his reply is drowned out by Kabash’s sudden roar.

“One hundred percent!!” he roars, throwing his right hand forward and unleashing everything he’s got in a massive golden beam. “NOVA CAAAANNON!!”
“GRRAAAAAAAAA!!” the half-Ctarl-Ctarl roars, taking a single step forward and slamming her upper body into the beam. And to much of the audience’s surprise, she stops the attack! It slams into her, but Nappa’s half-Saiyan daughter digs in her heels and remains standing. The young man keeps pouring out more and more power, but it’s not enough. He simply doesn’t have the strength to budge Karliflor. And she knows it, the young half-Saiyan gritting her teeth, and with a snarl takes another step forward. Through the beam!

“I-Impossible!” Kabash shouts, you feeling his energy beginning to run low. Sensing her foe’s waning power Karliflor pushes forward, and starts pushing Kabash’s blast back. After a few seconds his power is completely expended, his blast ending as he drops to his knees, golden glow completely fading from his body.
“Gotcha!” Kaliflor shouts, dashing forward and kicking him in the guts. Unable to defend himself, Kabash is sent flying back, crashing into the far wall back-first. Out-of-bounds.
“Kabash has been sent out of the ring! Kaliflor wins!” Freeza shouts, the Ctarl-Ctarl contingent cheering the loudest, but they aren’t the only ones cheering the young half-breed’s win. “Next match will be Langal vs Celleri! Contestants, please enter the ring!”

“I’mma be back in a bit.” you say to your friends and family nearby, raising your right hand and teleporting directly over to Aisha’s side.
“-wed them who’s boss, nya!” Aisha shouts, hugging her daughter enthusiastically.
“That was a good showing.” you say, catching them all by surprise. The catlike people all let out surprised hisses, recoiling away from you suddenly appearing sitting beside them. “Good job kid.”
“K-Karn? You’re Karn, right?” she asks, her eyes lighting up. “Hey, you wanna fight after this! I think I can beat you up too!”

“Hahaha! Confident, aren’t we?” you say with a smile, reaching out and ruffling the kid’s hair. “Tell you what. You manage to beat Broly, and I’ll give you that fight. How’s that sound?”
“Yeah!!” she shouts excitedly, you seeing the two young Saiyans clashing on the arena below as Karliflor’s eyes sparkle. “Momma said you’re really strong, the only guy who ever beat her inna fight! Is that true?”
“I don’t know who else your mother’s fought. But she hasn’t managed to take me down yet.”
“Woah! That’s sooo cool!” she says excitedly. “Momma’s really strong, so if you can beat Momma, that means you’re really Really strong!”
“Heh, yeah I’m pretty strong. But you wanna know who’s even stronger than me?” you ask her, the girl’s eyes widening in surprise. “Lord Freeza. I’ve never beaten him in a fight by myself.”
“Wow! Really?” she asks, you nodding seriously. “I gotta go tell Parsla!!”

Nine, ten! Langal is out, Parsla wins!” Freeza declares as the half-Saiyan runs over to the other contestants. “Next up we have Tabaga and Erkin, fighters step forward.”
“She seems to be a good kid.” you say to Aisha as her daughter runs off, right over to the girl’s half-sister. “Everything fine on your end of space?”
“Mostly.” she answers, expression darkening a bit as she looks down and clearly thinks of something unpleasant. But then brightens immediately, turning back towards you. “Especially now that the Covenant are gone.”

“The Covenant as both an empire and organization may be gone, but they aren’t all dead.” you tell her. “Just the other day one of their assassins tried to get me. And this morning Chilli dispatched another Sangheili assassin, far out on the Crimson Demon clan’s homeworld.”
“The Sangheili are still alive? she asks, clearly surprised. “Didn’t you guys conquer their homeworld, and blow up High Charity?”
“Absolutely. But the Covenant’s empire was large, and we didn’t conquer every single world.” you say, the silence heavy around you as the two young non-Super Saiyans clash down in the ring. “No doubt a group survived and have rallied together to ‘get revenge’ or some such nonsense.”

“So that explains it...” one of Aisha’s men says, Aisha turning and glaring at him. Her expression immediately cows him, the man shrinking back from her. But that gets your attention, you turning as well towards him curiously. He looks between your curiosity and Aisha’s clear displeasure, unsure what to do. She then sighs out as the crowd roars, cheering the two fighting on in the ring.
“So we’ve been having a problem back home.” she says, clearly unhappy to be sharing their business with an outsider. “On planet Ctarl, there are several different political factions. However, several of my own personal political opponents have begun disappearing over the past few weeks. Ever since we left to return here, they have all been suddenly disappearing.”

“Isn’t that a good thing?” you ask, confused. “That means you have less opposition, right?”
“Not so. We handle our business face-to-face.” she says. “Political assassinations are almost unheard of on Planet Ctarl. It’s a sign of weakness to not deal with your rivals publicly.”
“Ooh. So that means someone’s taking out your opposition to try and make you look bad?” you ask, thinking you’ve got it figured out. But then another realization hits. One much more menacing and insidious, and you don’t say it out loud even amongst allies. So you tap the side of your head, and think to her. “Could be something else, too. Something worse.”

And as quickly as possible, you explain what Arctus told you about someone hacking into Vox’s systems to bypass their security and let the Hive monsters in to kill your children. Fortunately your children had grown far stronger during the war, and were able to repel the monsters.

“I see.” she says, frowning in thought. “So someone’s trying to cause havoc for you too?”
“Yeah. When you get back, if it’s still going on, just give me a shout.” you tell her. “And hopefully I’ll be able to track down your shadow.”
“Thanks.” she says, you nodding and raising your hand back to your forehead.

But where do you go?

Focusing on Caulifla’s ki, you teleport from Aisha’s side to your daughters. She’s sitting with the clearly-exhaused Kabash’s head in her lap, smiling down at him while he’s struggling to remain conscious. And not taking his loss well.

“I-I wasn’t strong enough.” he says, the young man on the verge of tears as she pats his head. “I gave it everything I got. But I couldn’t win.”
“Shhhh, it’s okay.” she says, smiling down at him. “You did great Kabash. You put up a great fight.”
“That you did.” you say, catching your daughter and the young man by surprise, both turning to look at you. You kneel down by the two, laying your hand on his shoulder. “You’re determined, and refused to back down even when severely outmatched. I respect that. And with the right training, you could grow far more powerful. If you think you’ve got what it takes, you should show up to our training tomorrow.”
“Y-You m-mean it?” he asks, eyes lighting up with hope. “Really?”
“Of course. But you’d better give it your all.” you tell him, the young man then passing out from all the excitement. But with a clear smile on his face. Rising back to your feet, you turn and look over the young Saiyans still in the competition. “I want all of you to give every fight your best. Show me just how determined you all are to be the best.”

“YES SIR!!” they all shout, saluting just as the crowd’s roars once again reach a higher octave.
“Erkin is out of bounds, Tabaga is the winner!” Freeza shouts as the crowd cheers. You again teleport back by your wife and king, just as the next fighters are called out. “Ruco and Tatsu, step up into the ring!”

Your kids all cheer as your oldest twin boy steps up, but you notice your old man Tatsu has an odd look on his face. You turn fully towards him, brow raised curiously. He shakes his head, clearly not wanting to say anything.

“Both fighters, take your forms!” Freeza says, your boy gesturing to his foe.
“I’m not a Super Saiyan.” she says, taking her fighting stance. And Tatsu, without hesitation takes his stance that looks similar to yours, not transforming either.
“Ready?” Freeza calls, raising his arm, then dropping it. “BEGIN!!”
“Show me your best.” your son tells her, the young woman immediately launching herself at your son. Yet despite being less than 1/4 of your son’s strength, you think that she’s got guts going on the attack.

But what do you do now?

As Ruco charges your son Tatsu, you reach out telepathically to your old man and think directly to him.

“Is everything okay?” you ask him, concerned. To which he audibly sighs before answering, also telepathically.
“You’re not gonna relent on this, are you boy?” he asks as the young woman relentlessly swings at your boy. Tatsu defends himself easily, blocking or deflecting each of the young woman’s strikes as you turn towards your father. “Tell me. Does that fighter’s name sound familiar to you?”
“Her name?” you reply, thinking. Do you know anyone by the name of Ruco? Wait, that’s the wrong question. Does your old man know a Ruco?

Or perhaps knew?

“Wait, Ruco?” you ask him, realizing he’s said that name to you before. But you can’t remember exactly where. Why is that name familiar?
“Well, I suppose I did only tell you once.” he replies, you feeling a vague sense of loss radiating through the mental link. But that feeling suddenly makes it all click, and you remember why that name’s important.
“Ruco. That name.” you think, turning and looking at your old man. “That was my mother’s name, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah.” he replies, not looking away from the fight. “She’d be really proud of you, Karn.”

You don’t know how to respond to this, so yoy turn back toward the fight. Ruco keeps attacking at a furious pace, not hesitating in the slightest as she throws out some interesting combination attacks. An overhead left into right uppercut into right shin-stomping kick into a spinning back left elbow. But your son isn’t budging, holding his ground and deflecting each of the girl’s blows.

“What was she like?” you ask him, curious. “What was Ruco like?”
“Well, that little one does look alot like her.” he answers, a small smile coming to his face. “She was a strong, proud woman, and wouldn’t back down from anyone. No matter how much stronger they were.”
“HRRRAAAAA!!” Ruco shouts, kicking off Tatsu’s crossed arms and backflipping twice, them firing a dual energy wave the moment she reorients on him. “Take THIS!!”

But Tatsu doesn’t, leaping over the waves and lacing his fingers together overhead as he charges. Ruco ends her attack but it’s too late, Tatsu swinging his joined fists down on her shoulder and slamming her straight down to the arena floor. She crashes down with a boom, the floor tiles cracked beneath her as she hits with enough force to bounce once and flop back down face first.

“Ruco is down.” Freeza says, starting the count. “One. Two.”
“Three!” the audience shouts, counting along. “Four!”
“Should I knock her off?” your son Tatsu thinks to you. “Or see if she can get up?”

Well?

“I’ll tell you like I told your brother: do whatever you feel is best.” you think to him. “This is your fight, I can’t give you all sorts of advice mid-fight. That’s unfair to the others.”
“Fights are unfair.” he counters, as Freeza continues the count. Which is now up to six. “Thanks.”

And without warning Tatsu suddenly ends the link, walking over the woman as she struggles to get off her hands and knees, then suddenly grabs her by the back of her armor. Before she’s able to react he takes two steps towards the closest wall, and pitches her towards the wall.

“Sorry.” you hear him say, an instant later Ruco slamming into the wall, out-of-bounds.
“Ruco is out. The winner is Tatsu!” Freeza says, the audience cheering as your son flies over, and pulls her back out of the wall he’d embedded her into. You can’t hear what they say, but she doesn’t seem too upset by the defeat. Glancing over to Tatsu, you see him smiling slightly as your parents’ namesakes of the younger generation walk off the stage together. “And now for the next match, Gorluk vs Orat. Gentlemen, take the stage!”
“Why did Tatsu do that?” Kayle asks you. “She was gonna get up.”
“Yeah, the count was only at six.” Maz follows his twin. “She could have still got up!”

“That’s why he did it.” you say, the two looking to you confused. “He wanted to end the match as soon as possible. Which us a good lesson for you both. In a real fight, you shouldn’t show your enemies any mercy. When they’re down, finish it immediately.”
“Why?” Kayle asks, her little brows furrowed. “Then the fight’s over.”
“Exactly. The longer you fight, the more chance an enemy has to hurt you.” you tell them as the next non-Super Saiyans get to fighting down below. “So when you’re in a real fight, end it as quickly as possible. Don’t hold back, or you could get hurt real badly. I’ve made that mistake before.”
“Like when you were layin’ there in that tub!” Maz shouts suddenly. “Filled up with those scary green rocks!”
“Yeah, just like that.” you reply, then telepathically ask Meloka how they know about that. She answers that, when you’d been down much longer than expected, she’d asked Raven to send them through, and let them see you just in case the worst happened while you were down. “When someone tries to hurt you or your siblings, don’t hold back. Crush them, with everything you’ve got.”
“RIGHT!!” both of them shout, as perfectly in sync as their older siblings.

“Gorluk just hurled Orat into the stands, which is out-of-bounds.” Freeza says. “Gorluk wins! Next up we have Mizuna, versus Kakarot!”

“Well, that was quick.” you say, surprised. That fight wasn’t even thirty seconds.
“Hey, isn’t that Bardock’s boy?” Nappa asks, you seeing the boy who very much so takes after his father walking up into the ring besides a young woman easily twice his size. And even more surprising, she’s actually noticeably stronger than him as well. “Looks like he has a tall order on his hands this time.”
“Maybe.” King Vegeta replies. “It all depends on how seriously he takes her.”
“What do you-?” Nappa asks, when suddenly the woman roars.

“HAAAAAAA!!” she shouts, a throaty, bellowing battle cry as golden ki surges up around her. The mohawk’d woman’s hair turnes golden as her strength multiplies dozens of times over, as yet another Super Saiyan reveals herself. “Heh, what do you think about that, little man?”
“Is that all?” Kakarot replies, arms crossed confidently. Then without any seeming effort transforms as well, powering up to his regular Super Saiyan form while still standing there relaxed. You know he could Ascend, doubling his might and easily surpassing his opponent. Yet he doesn’t. “Alright, show me what you can do.”
“Can’t he Ascend?” Meloka asks, you nodding to confirm that yes he can. “Oh, okay.”
“Why doesn’t he power up all the way?” Maz asks you. “You said not to hold back.”
“Yeah, what’s he doin?” Kayle asks too.

Well? What do you say?

“Let’s watch and see, and tell me if either of you can figure out why he’s doing it.” you say, both of the younger kids agreeing excitedly. Now, let’s see if Kakarot can win this one.”
“Both fighters ready? Aaaand begin!” Freeza calls, dropping his hand to begin the fight. And both of them waste no time, Kakarot and Mizuna blitzing towards each other instantly and swinging. Their fists clash, surprisingly powerful shockwaves blasting out from the impact. Many in the audience shout in surprise, clearly not expecting this fight’s intensity.

“HRRRAAAAAA!!” Mizuna bellows, following her right with a straight left. Which he knocks aside with his right forearm, then follows up with his own left that she blocks with her arm. The two of them keep swinging, alternating rapid fire strikes and blocks as they both vie for setting the fight’s pace. But after at least a full minute of relentless attacks, neither giving a single inch of ground, you begin to see that one of them has a clear advantage. Kakarot’s keeping pace with his physically stronger and slightly faster opponent, but this isn’t a fight about raw power. As comparable as they are physically, the deciding factor in this fight is quickly becoming their skill. And that’s where Kakarot is shining. Every punch and kick he throws at Mizuna forces her to block, which is still taking the force of his blows to her arms and legs. While for every few hits of hers, instead of blocking or getting hit you see Kakarot just barely avoid the blows. Dodging just enough to get an opening on his taller foe, and attacking it savagely. Each time one of her strikes misses, Kakarot capitalizes on it with a precise strike. A punch to the gut after ducking one of her fists here, a kick to the head after dodging a foot there, and the damage begins piling up. With each blow she takes, Mizuna’s immediately back on the defensive, taking several blows to her guard before she tries striking again. And you’re not the only one noticing this.

“Wow. I hadn’t expected him to make such progress.” Meloka says. “He’s only been to what, a week or two of our training? Has he been learning the Su Ma from elsewhere before?”
“I don’t know, but he’s clearly in control.” you reply, the smaller fighter again ducking one of his opponent’s punches. But this time he doesn’t simply dodge. Grabbing onto her arm he twists around, dropping down to his knee and throwing her up and over his back! With a primal war cry slams her down back-first to the arena floor, shattering the tile to the roars of the crowd. It looks like he’s got this under control. But why does it suddenly feel so ominous? You sense something rising in the downed fighter, something wild and filled with wrath. This match is about to get a lot more dangerous.

Yeah, seeing a more brutal Kakarot with his Saiyan heritage is a treat.
>>
>>5015367
He is still mostly the same guy, just without all the false humbleness. Nature is a stronger force than nurture after all, and no matter the timeline Goku will always want a fun, challenging fight.
>>
>>5015371
And not healing his enemies in the middle of some fucking tournament for "FUN"....right?
>>
>>5015374
Considering he doesn’t have that option, nor anyone that he’d pass HIS fight off to, no. He wouldn’t Share his fight with someone unless he started losing. Badly.
>>
>>5015379
Thank fucking god. Feeding his friends to opponents just to hype himself up was disgusting.
>>
>>5015417
I do think the Cell arc could have gone very differently, had Cell not been as arrogant and actually killed Gohan. Would Goku’s rage and regret have boosted HIM to Ascend instead?
>>
>>5015641
>had Cell not been as arrogant
Too much Vegeta and Piccolo in him, not to mention his over-fascination with "Perfection".
You don't have to be a master of psychology to pick up on all that.

>“Wow. I hadn’t expected him to make such progress.” Meloka says. “He’s only been to what, a week or two of our training? Has he been learning the Su Ma from elsewhere before?”
I'm very curious about it too. It's also very nice that Kakarot decided to join Karn's and Meloka's lessons.

Kakarot must be overjoyed that his opponent is about to break her limit become a bigger threat. Theoretically what she is about to do may count as changing forms and disqualification, but Kakarot (and most probably not only him) will for sure protest and insist on letting the fight go on if anyone tries to end the battle now with rules lawyering.
>>5015354
I'm greatly enjoying this tournament.

B7 was supposed to be allowed in the tournament if he wanted to, but he spends most of his time in an underground lab with the scientists. Does he even know that there is a tournament going on? Perhaps nobody thought about telling him about it.

Is B7 participating in Karn's and Meloka's lessons?
>>

>>5015678
>and insist on letting the fight go on if anyone tries to end the battle now with rules lawyering
Going Wrathful is a x10 multiplier. He’s nowhere near that strong, considering her Super Saiyan is already stronger than his.
Glad you’re enjoying. B7 could potentially have joined, but hasn’t for one reason or another. Perhaps something else got out?
>>
>>5015339
Seemingly sensing it too, you watch as Kakarot leaps back well clear from his downed opponent. But she doesn’t move at first, perhaps stunned from the blow. Either not sensing it, or simply doing it regardless, Freeza begins the count. But once it hits three he stops, you all feeling the whole arena suddenly shaking.

“I. Won’t. LOOOOSE!!” Mizuna roars, power surging in a golden pillar around her as her strength rapidly begins growing. At first you think she’s about to go Berserk, you rising to your feet in case you have to jump in. But this power feels different, less about anger and tapping into something even more primal. “I KILL YOU!!”
“What the hell?” Kakarot understandably says, as his opponent’s strength continues to grow. Doubling, tripling, quadrupling, it just keeps rising as she continues roaring, sounding more and more Oozaru-like by the minute. Until suddenly you realize what’s happened: she’s lost herself to her Wrath. Golden blazing wildly she rises back upright, newly-pupilless gaze fixed on the young Kakarot between you and her. With her power now ten times what it was before, body trembling with barely restrained fury, you realize the young boy’s in actual, serious danger. She can’t control such a power, and could kill him! But before you can react, Freeza intervenes.

“That’s quite enough.” Freeza replies, his golden body stepping casually between them. “Mizuna, transforming after the match starts is against the rules. Transform back down now, or be disqualified.”
“GRRRRRRYAAAAAAAA!!” she roars in respone, bellowing forth an uncontrolled wave of energy from her mouth. Freeza doesn’t react, until the moment before the beam would strike him.
“SHYAAAA!!” he shouts, golden aura bursting from his body and absolutely shredding the attack. His sudden surge knocks both Kakarot and Mizuna away from him, the out-of-control Saiyan landing on all fours and immediately launching herself at Freeza again. Who doesn’t even react, letting her strike him square in the face. Yet with all her fury and wrath, Freeza doesn’t even so much as blink, much less budge. Which shocks the woman so badly she backs off immediately, you feeling her power begin plummeting back down to normal. Freeza doesn’t say anything aloud, instead thinking to both you and King Vegeta. “So. What shall we do here, gentlemen?”

Well? How do you answer?
>Let the fight continue, but if she loses control again toss her out
>She broke the rules and transformed, disqualify her

“Why don’t we ask Kakarot?” you say. “It’s his fight after all, why don’t we see what he wants to do?”
“I think this is a good idea.” Vegeta replies.
“Very well.” he answers, ending the mental link then raises his voice and addresses the crowd. “Since this is the first situation like this, I shall give you the honor of choice, young Kakarot. Shall your opponent be disqualified, here and now? Or do you want the fight to continue?”
“Don’t disqualify her. I want to fight.” Kakarot says without hesitation.
“Are you certain?” Freeza asks him, to make sure he’s thought this through. “Should you lose here, you’ll not get to progress any further despite what happened.”
“That’s fine.” he answers. “I wouldn’t want to win by disqualification anyways.”

The crowd roars it’s approval at this, Freeza smirking as well then turning to Mizuna. She takes an unconscious step backwards, as Freeza is still radiating with power.

“Now, this is your only chance.” he tells her, a low, menacing edge to his voice. “Break the rules again, and I’ll break you. Understood?”
“Y-Yes sir!” she shouts, immediately snapping a salute. He nods at this, turning and walking back to the edge of the ring.
“Now, both fighters: retake your stances!” he calls, Kakarot and Mizuna re-readying themselves. “And continue!”
“HAAAAA!!” Kakarot shouts, blitzing at Mizuna and acting like he’s swinging for her face. She raises both arms to block, but at the last second switches his attack. Instead of a punch he twists, driving his left knee square into Mizuna’s guts.
“Guuuh?!” she wheezes, caught by complete surprise. Capitalizing on the opening, he swings his left elbow into the back of her head, staggering the woman and giving him the momentum to spin around, driving his right shin into the right side of her face. This heavy blow staggers the woman, Kakarot flipping and spinning up and over her head to deliver a fierce left kick square to her chin. The blow sends her staggering back, clearly disoriented as Kakarot swiftly gathers a large amount of ki inbetween his hands.

“HAAAAAAAA!!” he roars, unleashing his energy in a massive blast. She manages to get her arms up to block just before it hits, the explosion rocking the entire arena. The audience shouts in surprise as the shockwaves blast out, the cloud of dust it kicked up obscuring the ring. But with your ki sense, you can tell they’re both still standing. And with a gale-force swipe of his hand, clearing out the clouds, Freeza revealing that Mizuna is still standing.

“Haaaah. Haaaaaah.” she pants, crossed arms and body both scorched and bleeding from the intensity of Kakarot’s blast. “Was that. Your. Best?”
“Haaaah. I’m i-impressed.” he answers, chest heaving as he also tries catching his breath. “Thought that one would have knocked you out for sure.”
“I’m not. Gonna. Lose!!” she snarls, golden aura blazing as her fighting spirit soars. Kakarot smirks a bit, roaring and raising his own power to match hers. Both are clearly on the decline, but neither wants to give in. And at some unseen signal they both charge, slamming their fists into each other’s faces.

“Who do you think’ll give out first?” Nappa asks, both young fighters staring each other down.

“Well, I think Kakarot is going to win.” you say as the two continue trading heavy blows. “She’s taken too much damage.”
“I have to agree.” Vegeta says as the two clash for over a minute before Kakarot narrowly dodges her straight right, and counters with a heavy turning left fist to her jaw. The powerful blow staggers Mizuna, nearly knocking her off her feet but she manages to catch herself and remain standing. “He used up quite a lot of power with that attack, but he’s still in better shape than she is. It’s only a matter of time before she goes down now.”

“RRAAAAAAA!!” she roars, turning back towards him and unleashing a wave of ki from her left hand. Unable to dodge Kakarot is forced to block, taking the beam with his crossed arms and letting the blast knock him sliding backwards across the arena floor. After a second or two she ends it, dropping her arm as Kakarot lowers his guard. “Tch!”
“You won’t knock me out so easily.” Kakarot replies, having caught his breath and mostly recovered from his big attack while Mizuna clearly hasn’t. He suddenly lowers his guard, abd looking to her speaks calmly but clearly. “You better hit me with everything you’ve got. Because my next attack’s gonna end this.”

“D-Dammit! Not yet!” she roars, golden aura blazing in defiance. “This ain’t over yet! HAAAAA!!”
“Looks like she’s still got some fight left in her.” Nappa says with a smirk. “Now, what will she do?”

Standing there confidently, Kakarot simply watches as she gathers more and more power, everything she has left condensed into her left fist. Seems like she’s trying to end this with a final attack as well.

“Hmph. This fight’s over.” King Vegeta says confidently. And you have to agree. If Kakarot can’t dodge that hit, it’s packing enough power to launch him clear out of the arena. But if Mizuna misses, she’ll have nothing left in the tank and be easy pickings. It all comes down to this final attack.
“Eat this!!” Mizuna roars, dashing headlong at Kakarot. He doesn’t move as she approaches, standing his ground as she closes in and swings, the crowd reaching a fever pitch. “DYAAAAA!!”

And Kakarot ducks her swing. Her ki-laced fist harmlessly passes right through where the young man’s head was, Kakarot pulling back his right for a counter.

“HRYAAA!!” he roars, swinging and planting his fist firmly in her guts with enough force the shockwave rattles the arena tiles and sends broken pieces flying into the audience. But Mizuna isn’t launched away, instead seemingly held aloft by Kakarot’s fist, unmoving. Is it over?

“Bleugh!” she suddenly exhales and spews blood from her mouth, spraying the young figher and arena as her body loses consciousness. Reverting to her base form, Mizuna goes completely limp, Kakarot gently dropping her to the arena floor.
“Mizuna is unable to continue. The winner is Kakarot.” Freeza declares, the crowd shocked for several moments before cheering with thunderous applause. Kakarot sighs out and reverts to his base form as well, gently picking up the unconscious woman and carrying her over towards Caulifla. Where you see your daughter Chaya looking rather upset about the whole thing. “Now for the next fight! Chaya and Rugu, step forward!”

Nothing. You won’t do anything about this. If she needed your help with anything, she knows to ask you. But the atmosphere has changed as your daughter took the stage, everyone looking around a bit nervously as your daughter glares at her opponent.

“Both fighters, take your forms!” Freeza says, completely unaffected by the change in atmosphere. And without hesitation Chaya roars, power exploding as she immediately takes her fully powered, Ultra Ascended form. Her opponent takes several steps back, clearly terrified of your daughter’s power. Freeza turns to her curiously, and asks. “Are you ready?”

Looking between Chaya and Freeza, the clearly-outmatched Rugu makes the best decision she could, and jumps right off the arena! She lands on the ground beside the ring, clearly out-of-bounds, and starts walking back towards the other competitors.

“Well...It seems Rugu has forfeited the match. The winner is Chaya!” Freeza says, trying to drum up enthusiasm as your daughter crosses her arms, pouting at not getting a fight. “Ceriac and Pinach, fighters take the stage.”

Chaya sighs out in clear disappointment, reverting back to her base form as she walks off the stage. The two next fighters both give your daughter a wide berth, staying well out of her way as she walks off in a huff.

“Is big sis okay?” Kayle asks you, your daughter looking worriedly over to her sister as Chaya sits down with her arms crossed. “She looks kinda mad.”
“I don’t know why, but she’s upset about something.” you answer, feeling a bit worried about your eldest daughter. But she hasn’t said anything to you, so for now you decide to leave her be and just watch the next few fights. The match between Ceriac and Pinach, both non-Super Saiyans brings back the atmosphere after a few minutes, the two loosening up and putting on a decent show. But with a heavy turning kick to the jaw, Ceriac ko’s Pinach cleanly. Next match is Ginge vs Callion, both decently powerful fighters in their own right. But with a powerful combination of kicks that ends with an uppercut to the gut, then flipping up in air and firing a beam down, Callion ko’s Ginge and takes the win. Which brings you to the next match.

“Parsla, and Ruta! Fighters, take the stage!” Freeza calls out, Nappa and Tunnip’s young daughter steps up onto the stage beside the much larger woman, who’s nearly the same size as Mizuna.
“You sure you don’t want to jump off the stage too?” Ruta says condescendingly. But Parsla doesn’t say anything, brows furrowed as she glares up at the large woman. Parsla’s hair suddenly begins rising, and since she’s facing your side of the stands you can see her eyes change. From black to a wild black and golden, then they fill blood red as her pupils shatter.

“GRRRRRRYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Parsla roars out in unbridled fury, power exploding out from her as her golden power multiplies hundreds of times over. Might surging her power knocks Ruta over, Freeza looking to her curiously.

“Woah! So cool!” Maz shouts, cheering as Parsla continues to power up.
“Go Parsla!” Kayle shouts, cheering as the entire ring trembles. “Yeeaaah!”
“RRRRAAAAAAA!” Parsla screams out one final time, the surging aura waning and leaving her standing before her downed opponent.
“N-No way!” you hear Ruta say, clearly worried about fighting the young woman.
“Heh. That’s right Parsla.” Nappa says, more to himself than anyone. “Show them all just how strong you really are.”

And that’s it for this weekend, everyone enjoying the tournament? Ready to see Parsla’s full power, and how much she’s improved since embarking out on the Hive War all those months ago? The quarter finals are only 5 fights away, curious who the top 8 contestants will be? Ready to see the best tournament fights yet when we return next weekend? All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!

I guess I should have seen this coming sooner. I wonder who has more half-breeds laying around between him and Turles?
>>
>>5016175
Not any. Nappa stayes around New Salda, when the entire race isn’t at war. He’s functionally second in command behind Vegeta.

QM UPDATE

Really excited to show you all this intermission, as of right now it’ll be out hopefully this Thursday evening. In the meantime, now that we’re more than a whole episode in, what are your thoughts on the tournament so far? Enjoying the different character interactions, and seeing the wildly varying strengths of different fighters? Ready to see with the epilogue a glimpse of the “mastermind” behind the Vox hacks, and when the episode continues witness the first Oozaru[/i] of the tournament?
>>
>>5017011
Seeing a tournament arc is pretty good now that it isn't a forgone conclusion. Learning about these new brats that we need to drag to classes can be a new legend. Go to class, or Karn will drag you there.
>>
>>5017018
>now that it isn't a forgone conclusion
This. I’ve had this idea for over an irl year, but had to wait until all the pieces were in place. Imagine how boring it would have been without Ticho, Karliflor, and Parsla, and the semi finalists were just the usual suspects of Chaya Raditz Broly and Chilli.
>>
Chilli for Champ!!!
>>
>>5017050
Kekarot is gonna win.
>>
>>5017074
Chilli's gonna put a crystal spike up his arse and then fuck with time so that it's there for the next 30 years.
>>
>>5017050
He stands a decent chance, having simply thrown his first opponent out with telekinesis and not actually fought.
>>5017074
At this point, if he can beat Broly, he’ll win his half of the bracket.
>>5017077
Chilli’s now very, very against torture.
>>
>>5017077
Are you okay? Do you want to talk about it

>>5017088
I'd be surprised if anyone could beat Broly going all out without ringing him out. Of course Broly probably wouldn't go all out in a low stakes tournament like this.
>>
>>5017113
>I'd be surprised if anyone could beat Broly going all out without ringing him out
Well, you heard what Turles said. He’s vasty stronger than most of the adults present, much less the other competitors.
>>
>>5017113
>>5017119

Chilli has such a broad repertoire - that doesn't rely on physical fighting power/prowess, and is so little-understood by his opponents - that I can see him beating Boly in spite of the physical power-level gap.
>>
>>5017088
So, I imagine this the first time a lot of Saiyans have seen the Wrath state used in lieu of the Great Ape transformation.
Will the general population start trying to utilize the Wrath state in the future?
Are our fellow Super Saiyans also thinking about using it in tandem with their Super Saiyan transformations to try and skip over Golden Great Ape and go straight to Primal?
>>
>>5017178
At the same time, I can also see Broly not fucking around in the slightest when up against Chilli.
This hypothetical battle between an orthodox powerhouse vs a technical master is giving me deja-vu.
Let's hope Chilli doesn't do to Broly what Meloka does to Karn whenever they spar.
>>
>>5017197
>This hypothetical battle between an orthodox powerhouse vs a technical master is giving me deja-vu.
>Let's hope Chilli doesn't do to Broly what Meloka does to Karn whenever they spar.

Was thinking the same thing. Thankfully, Chilli is more sensible than Meloka.
>>
>>5017205
To be fair, I don't hate that kinda relationship.
>"Hey babe? Wanna help me test out this move that may or may not put you into the hospital?"
>"I already scheduled a trip to the ICU."
>>
>>5017178
If he hadn’t burned more than 95% of his magical power before the tournament started, he would easily be able to knock Broly off the stage in the finals. If he manages to get through both Caulifla, and then Chaya or Parsla.
>>5017194
>Will the general population start trying to utilize the Wrath state in the future?
Potentially. Depends on what Parsla does, and doesn’t do with her power. She may inspire some to try, or absolutely terrify them out of ever trying it themselves.
>Are our fellow Super Saiyans also thinking about using it in tandem with their Super Saiyan transformations to try and skip over Golden Great Ape and go straight to Primal?
Second verse same as the first.
>>5017197
Broly would either be very cautious, trying to get his brother to waste his power before going in for a ko or immediately try and blitz his brother down before he can cast anything at all.
>>5017205
>sensible
Meloka is very protective of her Karn. But! You’re missing the bigger picture here. Karn has become a symbol of being undefeatable, even to those closest to him. Meloka, King Vegeta, everyone goes all-out because they think, no they feel, that they actually CANNOT truly hurt him. He is their Superman, so they don’t pull punches. Kind of like Karn’s relationship with Freeza.

Besides being the second-most autistic thing I’ve seen today, this layout is fucking atrocious. Also, canonically, Goku was physically stronger than Kid Buu. Buu just had the advantage of not actually taking any permanent damage from anyone besides Fat Buu. Because magic. Which does actually bring up a good point: Chilli vs Buu?

No. Unless he learns specialized sealing magic, or a certain green technique Cell knows, an insta-win isn’t an option. Death Magic may have its limits against a regenerator.
>Caulifla
If King Cold isn’t around, and somehow convinces Freeza, possibly.
>>5017257
>What’s the first?
Saw the unloading mechanism on a tech van’s roof today. I love how machinery moves, but my brain just doesn’t operate that way in 3D. I have to write out different fight sequences with my poorly-drawn stickpeople sometimes to get motions down.
And that’s not autistic, those are official numbers that I use for comparing. At full power your 75% is 100% of SS3 Goku’s.
>>
>>5017257
I’m cool with the official numbers, since those are at least believable. I just get annoyed at turbo nerds channeling all their autism into crunching hard numbers and coming up with unbelievable claims for how strong a character is.

I dunno, I think when you go past Frieza it's just ridiculous. Also, it doesn't even cover the androids, Cell's first and second form, or even Fat or Kid Buu. Heck, I don't even see Dabura or any of the Super Saiyan 2s.
>>
>>5017074
It's Goku. He's not allowed to win his first two tournaments.
>>
>>5017338
What? Goku? No way bro that Kukeratto. Goku sounds like the kind of name a planet full of weaklings would use. I mean it sounds like a sneeze even. Ugh.
>>
>>5017281
Very. And the only way we’ve seen to even somewhat damage that is by hitting with the same magical energy. As we saw in Buu vs Fat Buu and Hercule.
>>5017291
>he doesn’t like Freeza’s ridiculous numbers
Also, after a certain point we will switch to the Killi measurement system. Where 1 Killi= 1000 points on the powerlevel scale. So for canon SS3 Buu Saga Goku, his 24,000,000,000 powerlevel is 24,000 Killi. Will make the powerlevel chart easier to read for sure.
>>5017296
That’s where Goku vs Yakon comes in, along with Goku’s canon Super Saiyan 3 powerlevel of 24 billion to articulate the numbers. Which is 6 billion in 2, and half that at 3 billion in base Super Saiyan. Babidi states Goku’s Super Saiyan when fighting against Yakon is 3000 Killis, and Dabura gives us that 300 Killis(300k pl) is enough to destroy a planet. Confirming Freeza’s 530k base could destroy worlds. The numbers get bigger, but the logic at least stays consistent(for shonen anime).
>>
>>5017699
>he doesn’t like Freeza’s ridiculous numbers
No that's the thing.
They were purposefully ridiculous to establish just how much defined power levels DIDN'T matter.
It's not that I don't appreciate that, it's more that I think that point was made perfectly clear during the Saiyan Saga.
Numbers and statistics aren't everything in a fight. If they were, Vegeta wouldn't have gotten his ass kicked by a retard, his infant son, a bald midget, and an obese hobo.
All of whom were far less powerful than he was on paper.
The only reason powerlevels are still a topic of discussion is because they're viewed as a defined metric you can use to rank your favorite characters.
Though that only persists because the majority of people watching Z just couldn't wrap their heads around powerlevels and their subsequent dismissal as a narrative device.
>>
>>5017729
Yes yes we all know Toriyama introduced them to ridicule measuring one fighter against another solely based on a single fluctuating number, and to draw the villains with funny, surprised faces. Even in Super now, the concept of measuring their powers is still ridiculed by Vegeta when he’s fighting Granolah. But ki is a measurable, quantifiable source of energy generated by living beings(with a few exceptions). Just because one group can mask their energy signatures thanks to Namekian(Kami/Piccolo) training, or that fighters can vastly increase that reading by focusing all that power into a single point such as with Goku’s Kamehameha against Raditz(it was more than double his 416 powerlevel, at 926) doesn’t mean they aren’t still useful for something like a quest. We may be heavily narrative-focused, but having solid numbers other than “That guy seems stronger/weaker than me by arbitrary#%” still has it’s uses in-game. And are why powerlevels, despite almost never being mentioned in the show post-Freeza, remain a topic of online fan discussion to this day. You introduce a unit of measurement, and people will use it. The main(in universe) problem is scouter technology measures the ki output generated by a being, and measuring someone standing there doing nothing isn’t the same thing as an adrenaline-boosted fighter in the heat of the moment, or all their ki focused into a single point for an all-out attack.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 163 Intermission-

AGE 750, A SECRET LAIR?

“Dammit!” you snarl, slamming your rather large fist on your desk in anger as the diminutive Dreadzone General disarms the cyber Lin Kuei woman with her gun’s chainsaw. Which is just ridiculous. “How? How could they screw this up?!”

Fuming you reach over, grabbing a fistful of chips and shoving them in your mouth while you think furiously. First the Hive failed, even when you’d directly opened the doors for them and let them attack that bastard’s kids, they still all managed to survive and eventually kill off the Hive’s entire species. Or at least most of them anyways, Nefarious no doubt having been the one to sens that last pod with several tiny powerlevels away a month before the filthy Saiyans reached the Hive homeworld. When that plan failed you’d coordinated with Nefarious’s AI again, but this time also with those crazy religious zealots from the Covenant, and turned their Arbiter into a living suicide bomb. With ancient magic and incredible technology, you’d helped craft that monster as well. Yet again, somehow that brother-killing bastard Karn survived what should have been certain death. And then Freeza destroyed High Charity, completely wasting months of effort building a new weapon to stop him.

“Leaking” the coordinates of the Crimson Demon homeworld to one of the Covenant’s splinter factions, you’d planned on their Samgheili assassins taking his son’s life. Which, judging by his appearance at the tournament today, clearly failed as well. Then your Lin Kuei’s acquisition of weapons designed to put down a Saiyan menace fails too? It’s all so damn frustrating!

“Why?” you ask, to no one in particular, feeling your blood pressure rising again. “Why won’t they just die?”
“Maybe because you’re sending amateurs and fools to do an assassin’s job?” comes a maliciously sinister voice from behind you. Which shocks you so bad you almost fall out of your chair, turning and seeing the tall, pale, and long-haired figure of your older brother standing there leaned against the wall. “Or perhaps you’re just incompetent?”
“B-B-Big bro....H-How long have you been standing there?” you ask, your blood running cold. If he tells Father, this could be a disaster! He might take your computer away, or even worse, force you to exercise! “Wh-What did you hear?”
“Enough.” he replies, still leaning against the wall like he’s cool. “Enough to know Father wouldn’t take too lightly if he found out what you’re doing.”

It’s all over. Your life is ruined, he’s gonna tell Father and then all of your internet time will get taken away! Father will force you back into working out every single day for disobeying his direct order, and you’ll be miserable. This is the worst.
>>
>>5019945
“However.” your older brother continues, and suddenly you feel a spark of hope start to bloom. “I do agree with you, on one thing. Father is wrong to let those monkeys keep living for what they’ve done, even if he calls it ‘being professional’. Especially that big bastard Karn.”
“So you’re gonna help me?” you ask, feeling elated. “You really won’t tell Father?”
“No, as long as we do this smart.” your older brother replies, walking up to your screen and looking closer as the dimunitive psycho soldier threatens what’s left of the Lin Kuei cyborg woman by lowering the revving chainsaw towards her remaining limb. “First off, no more of this shit. We don’t hire assassins, we’re better than that. Second, we use the Remnants more, and keep sowing discord amongst the filthy monkeys’ allies.”

“The Remnants? But why?” you ask him. “They already hate the Saiyans much more than the Lin Kuei, and aren’t they assassins too?”
“They may be. But those morons call themselves “warriors”, not assassins. Plus, the more they attack and strike at the PTO, the more people will begin to feel unsafe under them.” you tell him, matter-of-factly. “Besides, I’ve been keeping an ear to the ground. And they’ve already been doing good work sowing discord amongst the Tamaraneans and Ctarl-Ctarl, two of their biggest allies militarily.”
“It was a stroke of genuis, if I do say so myself.” you say with a snigger, adjusting your glasses until they shine reflectively in the light from your monitors. “You just missed the princess losing her cool at their little tournament the monkeys are hosting, and she already attacked Karn too.”

“Wait what?” your brother says, clearly shocked as he walks over closer to your screens. “Show me.”
“Alright, gimme a second.” you reply, pulling the Dreadzone tournament stream back up full size. A tiny monkey is throwing a much larger monkey, a full on Oozaru around by the tail, but you don’t actually care about that right now. Pulling your ongoing recording up, you rewind the footage to the end of the half-Tamaranean half-Saiyan’s battle against Karn’s adopted maybe-biologically related son Broly. “Watch this.”

“That worthless little shit!” the elder Tamaranean princess Komand’r seethes, fist slamming down onto the arena wall before her angrily while her eyes blaze with barely-restrained energy. “Couldn’t even beat that brat!”
“C’mon, it’s not her fault she was clearly outmatched.” the Saiyan ambassador Turles says, trying and failing to calm her down. “Hell, that kid’s strong enough to fight us, much less in this little tournament. Give her a break Komi.”
“Quit making excuses for her!” she snarls, turning her ire on him instrad of shouting at her kid. “She didn’t try hard enough! When we get back, her training is going to double immediately. How dare she humiliate me like this!?”
>>
>>5019947
“Well now I know where she got her attitude from.” the giant, transformed figure of Karn says aloud. Komand’r goes silent and slowly turns around to glare at him instead now.
“What did you say?” she asks, barely above a whisper as her every word drips venom. “What did you just say to me?”
“I’m only staring the obvious.” he answers calmlu, staying seated but turning to face the Tamaranean royal. “It’s clear she gets her anger from her mother.”
“You bastard!!” she shouts, standing up and whirling around towards him furiously with eyes blazing crimson. “I’ll kick your ass!”

“Sit down, Komand’r!” King Vegeta suddenly orders, but she doesn’t pay him any mind. Instead she fires twin beams of crimson from her eyes directly at the Saiyan and striking him in the chest.
“Going much better than I thought.” your older brother says, seeing Karn bleeding through his armor where she shot him. But after a few seconds his energy seemingly hardens, repelling the beams out of him and shielding his body from further harm. And after another couple seconds she ends the attack, taking an uncertain step back as she sees that he haven’t moved or taken any serious damage, your brother sounding a bit frustrated as he speaks up. “But of course he’s learned that. Why wouldn’t he have?”
“What the hell?!” she exclaims, all her earlier fire gone and replaced with genuine fear. “No way.”

The brute of a Saiyan doesn’t say anything, and just stands up to his full eight plus foot height and stares down at her. The camera changes, getting one from behind the Tamaranean royal and letting him glare more towards a camera. Amd despite having already seen this before, his fury still sends a shiver up your spine before the emperor himself intervenes.

“That’s quite enough.” Freeza says, his golden visage suddenly appearing between the two of them faster than even the 100 frames per second cameras they use could catch. “From both of you. All fighting is to be done either inside the arena proper, or outside. Do I make myself clear?”
“Of course, Lord Freeza.” Karn says, immediately saluting him while the shocked Komand’r just nods shallowly. The moment Freeza turns around and returns to the arena she blasts off into the sky, leaving the entire arena behind.
“See? They’re already feeling the pressure, and starting to lash out.” you say, spinning around in your chair towards him. Your brother is still looking at Karn on your screen thoughtfully, gears clearly spinning in his head as he forms a plan.
>>
>>5019949
“I think it’s time I go visit New Salda myself.” he suddenly says, your jaw dropping in shock.
“Wh-What?!” you shout, almost falling out of your chair. “You, you, you can’t be serious. New Salda?! That world’s gravitational pull is twenty times our own, trying to fight him there is suicide!”
“I’m most certainly not going to fight him.” your brother says, giving you a grin so maliciously creepy you feel a shiver uncontrollably crawling up your spine. “Father expressly forbade us from ever getting involved with the Super Saiyan, remember? Besides, I’m not going there for the Saiyan.”

Turning you follow his gaze, no longer on Karn and the arena, but on a different screen. This one is Vox’s main non-Dreadzone, non-Saiyan stream, focusing instead on the fast-paced, rigorous lifestyle of those who prepare the Saiyan’s food. The old, one-legged former-assassin is verbally grilling one of his subordinates for burning a dish while the announcer speaks over him.

“-ill Soma get to keep his apron? Or is his time as one of the master chef’s apprentices done for good?” the announcer says, you turning the volume up so you both can hear it. “Find out next time, on Silver’s Kitchen!”
“I’ll just be visiting an old friend.” your brother says, grinning wickedly. “I haven’t seen old Quicksilver in many years now, maybe it’s time for the two of us to do some catching up?”

I was trying to think of who could have hacked the doors before the Hive attack, and even though he hadn't been mentioned in the quest, I figured some of the Zoldycks would make more subtle moves against Karn's family, especially with how Killua's mom seemed so hateful the last time we saw her.

The Zoldycks are assassins, and don’t always boldly approach targets like they did Chrollo. However, they aren’t the only powerful, possibly noble family Karn’s pissed off in his day.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The tournament continued on, all the young Saiyans and the halfbreed Karliflor Clan-Clan each fighting to claim their victory. After discovering the identity of Karliflor’s father, Karn spoke with Aisha before addressing those still competing in the tournament. Telling them that, should they impress him they would be invited to join his daily training sessions held daily as one of his students. Then Karn watched Kakarot vs Mizuna, where the nearly-adult woman unleashed a power he’d steered well clear of: the Wrath state. After Freeza forces her to revert back down due to violating the rules the fight continued, with Kakarot easily claiming victory. Chaya’s opponent lept out of bounds rather than face her clear wrath, then after two more non-Super Saiyan fights we rejoin Karn, as Nappa and Tunnip’s daughter Parsla shows her Wrathful Super Saiyan form.

“N-No way!” Parsla’s opponent Ruta says, having been knocked back on her ass by the force of Parsla’s transformation. She’s too shocked to move, clearly thinking she had the upper hand since Parsla hadn’t transformed yet this tournament. “Not you too.”
“Will you transform?” Freeza asks, the larger fighter looking up to Freeza’s golden figure. “Or are you going to concede, right here and now?”
“I-I.... I won’t back down!” she snarls, forcing herself upright and gathering a ball of ki in her hand. “I may not be a fancy ass Super Saiyan! But like hell I’m gonna give up!”

“Don’t look up.” you tell your kids, them all looking away from her and to you instead. “No matter what. Understand me?”
“I won’t!” Maz answers.
“Me neither.” Kayle replies.
“Aaaaaaah!” Karn Jr shouts, waving his arms around and being entertained by everything. Okira doesn’t say anything, but nods to you the affirmative. Her Stand also peeks it’s head out of her mouth, nodding as well. Which, despite you having encouraged your daughter to more familiarize herself with Imagine Dragon, is still rather odd to see.Your wife shields Karn Jr’s eyes from the Power Ball like she’s shading him from the sun: since neither of you are quite sure what’ll happen if your natural-born Super Saiyan gazes at the you’ve kept him from staring at any moon or moon substitute. The last thing you want is for him to have the same sort of internal organ failure you suffered before. Ruta then hurls the ball high into the sky, everyone looking away knowing damn well what’s about to happen.

“Burst open and mix!”

>>5022335
You feel the blutz waves strike your tail moments later, a surge of primal desire coursing through your body. But none of the gathered Saiyans stare upon the fake moon, and the Ctarl-Ctarl control themselves as well so the only one who changes under its light is Ruta. She laughs while transforming, her voice turning into the deep, throaty bellows of an Oozaru as she quickly grows tall enough to tower over the crowds, much less her opponent. Who’s trembling with barely-restrained fury, something you know about all too well yourself.

“This is how a real Saiyan fights!” she roars, Freeza seemingly unphased by everything.
“Fighters, ready?” he shouts, raising his arm, holding it there a moment, then drops it with a shout of “Begin!!”
“HAAAAAAA!!” Ruta roars, swinging a titanic fist down. But she’s far too slow, Parsla exploding off the ground and slamming her fist square into the Oozaru’s giant chest. Parsla strikes with enough force to send her foe flying, but instead shatters the woman’s armor and punches straight through her instead! Blood sprays everywhere as the Wrathful Super Saiyan pierces out her back, soaring into the sky as the audience shouts in clear shock and surprise. Ruta drops down to all fours, clearly stunned by the devastating attack. But Parsla’s not done yet, turning around and seeing her foe down dashes towards her tail, grabbing it. Ruta clearly loses what little strength she had in her limbs, and with a primal roar the tiny Super Saiyan swings her much larger foe up and OVER her shoulders, swinging her Oozaru club down at the audience below! This could be bad, Parsla could murder them swinging that much mass at those speeds. You still have time to interfere before her improvised flail lands, but not much.

What do you do?
>Rush over and catch the woman, try and hold her back from crashing down onto the audience
>Use your telekinesis to grab Ruta, and try keeping her from crushing the spectators flat

was going to ask if activating unmovable energy body midair would act as a hard stop, but this is probably functionally the same
The other options sound like they take the bite out of her throw, which isn't fair to the spirit of the competition. Actually, all that force concentrated on the smaller point that is Karn probably is going to hurt more.

Wrathful really is something, though it seems equally dangerous to both friends and foes. It's a good thing that Karn is not into using the Wrathful state.

“Everyone get clear!!” you shout, exploding off the ground and dashing over to where Parsla’s swinging Ruta down at the stands. “MOVE!!”

The audience screams in panic, you blitzing up towards the rapidly-dropping Oozaru. As Parsla swings her giant foe down you dash up, throwing both hands out and catching her broad back. All the weight and momentum of her swing slams down onto you, your arms taking the brunt of the force. Ruta’s armor shatters as she slams into you, you realizing you can’t simply catch her mass midair without causing more significant damage to her. So you instead focus on slowing her descent, absorbing all the momentum as you drop towards the stands. After a second or two you feel your feet hit the ground, holding her up as the stone cracks beneath your feet. But you did it, you’re still holding holding the giant Oozaru well above the other Saiyans who, seeing you rush into action, remain seated instead of panickedly fleeing. Seems they’re confident in your ability to save them.

“Ruta has landed out of-“ Freeza begins, when Parsla again roars, you feeling the weight disappearing. Looking over you see the young Saiyan swinging her helpless foe over her head again, this time aimed at the far stands! But Freeza has had enough, reaching up with his telekinesis he catches Ruta’s entire body midair. The only sign he’s exerting his power is a faint red glow, almost an outline around the bleeding Oozaru as Freeza holds her in place. “That’s quite enough Parsla, this match is over. You won.”
“GRRRRAAAAAA!!!” the young Wrathful Super Saiyan snarls, furiously jerking her larger opponent’s tail and trying to swing her again with it. And suddenly, you have a flash of foresight. Parsla, snarling in anger rips her opponent’s tail clean off, the Oozaru’s blood soaking her as Parsla pitches the severed appendage at the crowds. Then the vision ends, and you realizing what you have to do.

Without hesitation you blitz down towards the ring, and grab both of Parsla’s wrists. Immediately the young Super Saiyan loses interest in Ruta, letting go of her and backflipping in your grip trying to slam her knee into your face. Letting go you take two steps back, dodging the flip kick. Parsla lands on all fours, snarling menacingly at you as her entire body tenses to lunge.

What do you do?
>Turn your back on her and start walking back towards your seat, keeping your Energy Body up and running in case she attacks

While we're waiting on the update, I had a thought.
Our students are probably making damn good progress so far, and once they start going out and displaying the results of their training, we're only gonna get more and more people joining up.
Right now, it seems that it's just Karn and Meloka handling everything. Now, that may be feasible right now, but there's only so many people they can divide their attention between.
As our program becomes more widespread we need to decide on how to accommodate those changes.
In my head, I can see two options, neither of which being mutually exclusive.
>Becoming more discerning in who can actually be a part of the program
>Pick out the best students and some of Karn's inner circle to be trainers
I'm sure there's more options than those two, so feel free to speak your mind on the topic.
>>
>>5022430
Yeah, no. You’re not letting her wildly rampage anymore, you’re going to put a stop to this immediately.

“RRRRAAAAAA!!” she snarls, moving to launch herself forward. But the instant she moves you do the same, dashing forward and grabbing her. The very second her feet leave the ground your arms wrap around her, pinning the wild Saiyan to your chest. “GRAAA?!”
“Yeah, that’s enough out of you.” you say, pinning her in place and hold her still. She begins thrashing wildly like a cornered animal, but it’s clear after a few moments that she’s unable to escape your grasp. “Shhh, shhhhh, it’s over Parsla. You got her.”

But your words don’t reach the young Saiyan, who’s now also trying her best to bite you. Fortunately your Energy Body makes that a fool’s errand, her fangs not nearly powerful enough to pierce your armor. But since neither of your mouths are working, you decide to adjust your approach a bit and think to her.

“Parsla, can you hear me?” you ask the raging young girl via telepathy. And although her body keeps raging, you also get an answer.
“Karn? Is that you?” she asks after a moment. “Where are you?”
“Right in front of you.” you reply, smirking a bit. You know how disorienting the rage can be. “You can power down now, I’ve got you.”
“No, I gotta escape!” she replies, her squirming getting more wild as she thinks to you. “I’m being pinned, I gotta-!”
“Parsla. It’s me. I’ve got you.” you tell her, still calmly through the link. “It’s alright, you already won. It’s over.”

“...I...won?” she asks aloud, her blazing golden aura fading and golden hair turning black as her pupils begin to fade back in. “I did it?”
“You did it.” you reply to her as the audience watches on silently, a nervous air to everyone as you let her go and they wait to see what happens next. “You won.”
“Now that she’s regained herself.” Freeza says, politely couguing then raising his voice. “Rugu landed out of bounds! The winner is Parsla!”

Silence greets this declaration, but only for a moment. As one voice cheers, his booming voice echoing.

“GO PARSLA!!” Nappa bellows, cheering on his daughter. Her head whips around towards him, eyes wide in shock as she sees her father cheering her on. The rest of the crowd joins in, you seeing tears forming in the young girl’s eyes, wide smile beaming. You don’t say anything and quietly exit the ring, flying back over to your own family while Parsla soaks in the applause and cheers of the others. Head held high Parsla leaves the ring as Freeza calls the next two competitors Gula and Aspara to the stage. You sit down, looking to your friend Nappa and see he’s still looking at his daughter with a smile.

You smirk at Nappa, who after a moment or two feels your gaze and turns towards you. Seeing your expression his own changes, looking questioningly to you. But after a moment you turn back, not saying anything. At least not yet.

“That was cool!” Maz says excitedly. “How did she do that?”
“Yeah, how? How?” Kayle asks you too. “She was all “RRRRRAAAAAA!!” and ROOOOAAAAAR!!”, it was so cool!”

You share a look with Meloka, your wife looking to you questioningly as the kids keep asking about such a dangerous form.

Well? What do you say?
>Tell them only that it’s a dangerous power, and shouldn’t be messed with unless they’re in actual, serious danger
>Tell them about the Wrath state and how it works, but that they shouldn’t try and access such a dangerous power until they’re older

“It is cool, but very dangerous too.” you tell them, taking both younger twins and setting them in your lap facing you. “That transformation is called the Wrath state.”
“Wrath? State?” Kayle asks, head tilting questioningly.
“Yes. The way it works is by channeling all the rage and anger of the Oozaru form, and gaining it’s power.” you answer her. “It makes you really, really strong, but that kinda power comes at a cost.”
“What kinda cost?” Maz asks. “Is it hard, like a Super Saiyan?”
“Yes, but not quite.” you tell him, seeing Gula and Aspara both fighting like Meloka, keeping at range and firing varied beams and blasts at each other. “Transforming into the Wrath State makes you angry, so angry that you can’t think.”

“Like you an’ Broly!” he answers, thinking he’s got it. And, well, he’s not entirely wrong.
“Kinda.” you answer, ruffling his hair. “But it’s even harder. I only ever took the form once, and it was harder to control than mine and Broly’s big green Berserker forms.”
“Woah, really?” Kayle asks, eyes wide with wonder. “Is it really powerful?”
“It is strong. But I would focus on getting and mastering Super Saiyan instead.” you say, raising your other hand to her head and patting her. “It’s a better form, and you’ll be able to control it much easier than Wrathful. I wouldn’t recommend either of you trying to use it until you’re older. Much older.”

“Aww, but it looks so cool!” Kayle says, pouting a bit. Best nip this in the bud now.
“Even your older siblings aren’t allowed to take that form.” you tell both of them seriously. “Once you’ve grown all the way up and become an adult, and mastered Super Saiyan, then you can try it out. Okay?”
“Okay!” both shout, turning around just in time to see Aspara’s blast striking Gula square in the chest, knocking her to the ground outside the ring.
“Gula is out of bounds. The winner is Aspara!” Freeza declares, the crowd cheering once more. As the two leave the stage, however, a fight you’re far more interested in is beginning. “Shalot and Caulifla, take the stage.”

“Go sis! Go!!” Maz shouts.
“You can do it!” Kayle calls down.

Caulifla turns and waves up to you all as she walks, and almost immediately trips on the broken arena floor and slams face-first to the ground. You hear several dozen of the audience begin chuckling and outright laughing at her display, your daughter pulling her blushing self back up after a moment with an embarassed smile, rubbing the back of her head.

“Both fighters, take your forms.” Freeza says, Caulifla’s opponent not transforming and simply taking a defensive fighting stance. Caulifla doesn’t either, taking a stance similar to your own. But as she does, from her left hand a quarter-dome of dark magic suddenly appears between her and her opponent. “Ready? Begin!”

>>5022691
“HAAAAAA!!!” the young man Shalot calls, firing a powerful ki blast towards Caulifla. Who doesn’t just stand there and take it, instead charging headlong into the blast!

KABOOM

Her shield takes the blast instead of her, your daughter dashing through the explosion towards the young man.

“Wh-What?!” he shouts in surprise, barely getting his guard up in time to block her strike. Which he does, barely; the force sending him back sliding to within a yard or so of the arena’s edge. “Tch! You won’t win that easily!”
“Bring it on!” your daughter replies, retaking her defensive stance. “I’m not gonna lose!”

You see Okira watching Caulifla closely, you knowing she’s been bonding with her older sister over them both being Stand users. Which is a good thing, you glad to see your daughter opening up more.

But what do you do?

Reaching over with your left hand as Caulifla’s opponent fires a wave of ki at her, you pat Okira’s head and think to her.

“Hey kiddo. Having fun so far?” you ask, Okira turning to you and nodding.
“Uh-huh.” she thinks back, turning her eyes back to her older sister as she dashes out of the beam. “Sis looks like she’s having fun.”
“Yeah she does.” you reply as Shalot ends the beam, then fires a blast quite similar to your Scattershot at her with his left. Caulifla leaps into the air, dodging the couple dozen balls of ki with ease.
“Why....Didn’t she call Triumph?” Okira asks, turning back towards you as Caulifla flies around dodging her opponent’s ranged attacks from the ground. “He couldn’t hurt it, right?”

“Yeah, only a Stand can hurt another Stand.” you reply as Caulifla creates a lightning bolt in her upraised hand, Shalot dropping his gathered energy as his eyes widen in surprise. “But she’s not using her Stand here for one reason. It’d be too easy.”
“Too easy?” she replies, head tilting in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Her opponent can’t do anything against Triumph.” you answer as he leaps aside, narrowly dodging your daughter’s magical bolt. But the moment he leaps aside she drops down, stomping Shalot straight down to crash against the broken arena floor. “ With Triumph out, even if he was twice her power, he wouldn’t be able to hurt her. Triumph’s wings can can shield her from damage, and her Stand’s flames wouldn’t be visible to the guy even if he was on fire. Remember, those without Stands of their own cannot see them.”

“Oh...Yeah.” she answers, your daughter turning back to the fight as Caulifla is clearly in control. Backflipping off her downed foe she then grabs him by the ankles, and atarts spinning around in circles. One, two, three, four times she spins, then with a roar launches him towards the nearest out-of-bounds wall. Which just so happens to be right at you.
“HAAAA!!” Shalot shouts, firing a beam straight down at the ground and blasting himself high into the air. His quick thinking keeps him from slamming into you all, narrowly avoiding the ringout and keeping himself in the fight.

“Woaaah!” she shouts in surprise, Shalot nearly crashing into you all as his attack carries him over you all. Seeing the look of joy on your daugher’s face brings a smile to your own, Shalot ending the beam and glaring down at your other daughter.
“I’m ending this!” he shouts, you feeling the young man’s energy suddenly surging. Looks like he’s feeling the pressure, and is about to go for something big.

But do you interfere?

Why not just multiform? That way we also get to practice multiform while we are teaching. Meloka can split into 7 copies now if I remember right.
>>
>>5022934
Karn and Meloka are already doing that as they teach, and while it is effective, there's probably a hard limit to how many clones can be made using the multiform technique.
Not to mention past a certain point, the clones would be too weak to train the students correctly.

I need another ~15 minutes on this one. Chilli’s fight is about to begin
>>
>>5022855
You keep watching on silently as the young man gathers a ball of ki into each hand, his energy attacks growing larger and larger by the second. Caulifla doesn’t seem to react to him gathering his energy, but then you hear it. The light chiming of Caulifla’s chime she got somewhen rings out over the arena cleanly, and light begins radiating from a small point over her head. Flamelike radiance begins emitting from her almost like a faded out Super Saiyan aura, you feeling her powerlevel surging upwards.

“Come on now! Give me all you’ve got!” Caulifla calls up to her foe. “Show me your full power!”
“You-! GRRRRRR!!” he snarls, pouring even more energy into the twin spheres and growing each of them larger than his own body. “HRRRAAAAA!! TAKE THIS!!!”

And with a roar slams the twin spheres together and fires them down. Caulifla doesn’t back up in the slightest, planting her feet firmly and bracing for impact. The two giant attacks streak down through the sky towards her, and at the last moment Caulifla activates her dark shield again. The two attacks detonate in fiery explosions, concealing your daughter in the sudden clouds of dark smoke kicked up from the blasts. But judging from her energy, you can sense she barely felt anything from that attack. And as the smoke clears, Shalot sees how ineffective his ultimate attack was. But he’s not the only one.

“GO CAULI!!!” Okira suddenly shouts, the crowd cheering along with your mostly-mute daughter as Cauli’s revealed. “GOOOOOO!”
“Nice hit.” Caulifla calls up to him, tail flicking back and forth once in excitement as she crouches. “Now, my turn!”
“N-No way.” Shalot says, chest heaving as he tries to recover before Caulifla goes on the attack. “Not a. A scratch?”

But then she dashes up at him faster than he can react, her speed boosted by this spell augmenting her power as well. Before he even realizes what’s happened she’s dashed up and past him, flipping backwards and dropping a savage flipping kick down onto the poor kid’s right collar. Bone snaps as her shin devastates Shalot, sending the boy crashing down into the stands. You see the impact as he smashes down beside your father Tatsu, thankfully no one was there in the way to get hit as well. And without hesitation Caulifla sends Triumph down ahead of herself, the powerful Stand healing the young man’s injuries within seconds. By the time she lands, Shalot’s injuries have all been fully healed.

Shalot has been sent out of the ring. Our winner is Caulifla!” Freeza declares, the crowd roaring even louder as she takes him by the hand, raising his arm as well as her own. “And now, for the next fight: Chilli vs Pinrut!”

“Good job kiddo.” you tell Cauli, your daughter beaming at you before turning back to her beaten foe and making sure he’s okay as Chilli and his much-larger opponent takes the stage. Even his powerlevel matches his stature, nearly double Chilli’s own somehow. You haven’t seen this guy before, yet he doesn’t seem to be a kid under eighteen. But Chilli’ll be fine, all he needs to do is go Super Saiyan and-
“Fighters, take your forms!” Freeza calls, and without transforming both Chilli in his robes and har and this Pinrut guy take wildly different stances. The large man takes a wide stance, arms spread wide and making himself appear even larger as Chilli takes an unusual, open-handed stance with both palms towards his foe. But what the hell is he doing, not transforming against someone more than twice as strong as himself?

“What’s he doing?” Meloka wonders aloud, mirroring your own sentiment as Okira looks between you both, confused.
“Mama?” Maz asks her, turning towards your wife. “Was wrong?”
“Is Chilli okay?” Kayle follows up, both looking at her.
“I think so.” she replies, turning and smiling to them both. “I’m sure he has a plan.”

But does he? Is Chilli okay, or just severely underestimating his opponent?

Well?

“Your older brother knows what he’s doing.” you say to the twins, both Maz and Kayle turning back towards you curiously. “Just watch and see. There’s no way he’s gonna lose to this guy.”
“Both fighters ready?” Freeza asks, looking between them and raising his arm. He holds it still a moment, then drops it with a call of “And begin!”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=a9P1dKf6iVA

“Just as you wanted, I’m not transforming.” your son says, then adds smugly. “Want me to fight without my arms as well, or is this enough of a handicap?”
“You-?!” he seethes, vein bulging on his forehead. “Just for that, I’m gonna make this hurt!”
“Try your best.” he replies, smirking at the larger bruiser and is apparently so confident he closes his eyes. “Come and get me.”
“RRRAAAAAA!!” Pinrut bellows, throwing his hand forward and unleashing a destructive ki wave in a wide cone. But Chilli doesn’t even seem to react, the wave of ki closing in. “Eat this!!”

“Dark Magic: Dark Cocoon.” Chilli says, a sphere of dark magic surrounding him an instant before the wave hits. Chilli’s sphere disappears completely inside the blast, the wide-angled attack lasting several seconds before it ends. And as Pinrut ends his blast Chilli does the same with his shield, but not before the larger man sees it.
“H-Hey! That magic bullshit is cheating!” Pinrut bellows angrily. “Fight me like a man!”
“Like a man?” your son asks, actually sounding a bit indignant. “Like a man? After you just begged me not to go Super Saiyan to make yourself look better?”
“Like hell I did!” he shouts, blitzing towards your son. “You lying little shit!!”
“Enough.” your son says, closing his open right hand and that Pinrut’s charge stops completely in place. “I won’t have you slander me in front of my wife and family.”

“Your wha-GAAAAH?!!” he shouts in surprise as Chilli sends him flying away with a flick of his hand. But he isn’t sent far, the larger Saiyan’s greater power helping resist the telekinesis so he isn’t sent off the edge of the stage. “You little-!”
“I’ll give you one chance.” your son says, his voice carrying as he begins slowly walking towards his larger foe. “Admit it, right here and now. Or I’m going to make you suffer.”

As your son keeps walking forward, suddenly he changes. Not physically, not a transformation or anything like that. But he suddenly begins radiating with bone-chilling menace, even you feeling a shiver crawling up your spine. Your four youngest kids all begin crying, you pulling the young twins closer as Meloka comforts Okira and Karn Jr. Whatever he’s doing, everyone feels it. Or, rather almost everyone.

cont
>>
>>5023173
Everyone seemingly feels what Chilli’s doing, except for Freeza standing there on the arena floor with them who doesn’t even blink.

“Wh-What the hell?” Pinrut says, voice shaky as he takes two frightened steps back. “What the hell are you?!”
“My name is Chilli. Greatest archmage amongst the Super Saiyans, and wielder of many advanced magics.” your son says, creating a large scythe out of his magical crystals. “Husband of Megumin, son of Karn and Meloka, slayer of dragons and disciple of the god of death himself.”

As your son speaks he keeps walking forward, the large man fearfully stepping back away from your son as he advances. Without touching the man Chilli backs him up to the ring’s edge, Pinrut actually shaking, trembling in fear.

“And one day, the man who will supplant the god of time herself.” he says, raising his right hand towards the trembling giant. Who, despite physically towering over your son, is clearly cowering before him. You wonder what sort of magic this is, and how long he’s had access to something like this? “Now, get out of my ring. Or I’ll end you. Right here and now.”

Pinrut is unable to speak, clearly under the full effect of this fear Chilli’s forcing him under. But then you see it. Under the bigger fighter’s feet, is a thin layer of crystals. And as you watch, the front end rises up while the back doesn’t, tipping the frightened fighter off the stage. Too scared to react he falls, crashing to the dirt off the stage.

“Pinrut is out of bounds. Chilli is the winner!” Freeza declares, your son smirking and ending whatever he’s doing. The crowd loses their fear a second later looking around confused as Chilli leans down towards his defeated foe.
“I told you, didn’t I?” your son says. “That I didn’t even need to touch you to win.”

And without another word turns around, and begins walking towards the competitor seating. But Pinrut clearly isn’t taking this loss well, now trembling with rage instead of fear. And as you watch, you start getting a terrible feeling about this.

“YOU BASTARD!!” Pinrut roars, blasting off the ground towards your son. Looks like he thinks this fight isn’t actually over.

Now THAT'S a fucking game changer.
Is that an actual technique, or has Chilli's dabbling in esoteric magics given him a passive dread aura?

And that’s it for tonight, everyone enjoying the ride? Ready to see how this plays out, and then the beginning of the quarterfinals? Curious why Freeza was seemingly immune to whatever Chilli just did? All this and more, when episode 163 resumes once more noon EST, 11 1/2 hours from now?

>Is that an actual technique, or has Chilli's dabbling in esoteric magics given him a passive dread aura?
It’s an esoteric magic technique. But not one just any mage can use.
>>
>>5023187
So, is it unique to the Scriveners of Doom that serve Jergal?
Or did Chilli uncover another brand of forgotten magic?
>>
>>5023178
Of course Freeza didn't feel the same bone-chill that everyone else did, he's already ice-cold.
...Or maybe King Cold already gave him the same offer he extended to Cooler and Arctus, and this is the work of a stand.

It is a spell called Death Magic: Reaper’s Cloak. It’s powerful stuff, especially considering the miniscule mana cost.

I mean I can't really think of any DB villain as obscenely cruel as Frieza. Except maybe OG Broly. Most of them did have some sort of goal, or were evil simply because they were. Frieza and Broly though knew they were malicious and reveled in it.

Kinda hard to give people like that the heebie jeebies. Especially since Frieza got over his monkey phobia and is almost entirely fearless at this point I'd wager.

“I’ll KILL YOU!!” Pinrut roars, exploding off the ground and charging at your son like a mad beast. Chilli, with his crystal scythe still in hand doesn’t immediately turn. Freeza doesn’t interfere either, simply standing there knowing what’s about to happen. And once Pinrut’s in range, your son attacks. Without saying a word he leaps into a backflip, dodging the punch and with a twist swings his scythe down. The crystalline blade punches easily through the PTO armor, piercing all the way through his body and pinning him to the arena floor! As the blade strikes the arena he channels his magic through it, crystals sprouting up and holding him down. “Gyaah?!”

“You stupid bastard.” your son says with a sigh, letting go of the blade and landing back on the arena floor by his foe’s head. Then without any warning your son rears back and swings, kicking the moron in the left temple with his full power. You hear a shattering sound, Chilli’s kick carrying enough power to break his scythe’s blade and send the dumbass spinning through the air a moment before crashing back down onto the crystal weapon. Which of course shatters, splinters and fragments clearly embedded in his back as Pinrut flops over onto his chest, unmoving.

“Go, Triumph!” Caulifla calls, no doubt trying to save that dumbass’s life before her brother can finish him off. But instead of letting her, Chilli snaps his fingers, and the remains of the scythe swiftly form an unbreakable coffin for the man. “Ah! H-Hey! He lost, twice. Let me heal him.”
“Not yet.” your son tells her, glaring. “He broke the rules, now he has to face the consequences of his actions.”
“Daddy, what do I do?” she asks you telepathically, not backing down from her brother but not advancing, clearly unsure what she’s supposed to do. You know your daughter doesn’t like watching people suffer, which Chilli’s clearly about to make worse on the dumb bastard. On the other hand, that moron did just try and attack your son after getting unquestionably defeated, and Chilli’s STILL very obviously holding back on him. Your son is setting the example to everyone what will happen if they still try to attack after they’ve lost. Letting him do this could ensure the rest of the tournament goes smoothly.

What do you do?
>Tell Caulifla not to interfere, and wait for Chilli to bring the man’s body to her for healing when he’s done
>Tell Chilli that’s enough, and to let Freeza handle this from here out. He needs to save his strength for his other fights

“Don’t worry about it kiddo.” you think to her, then end the link and focus on Chilli. “That’s enough Chilli. Leave the rest to Freeza, and save your strength for the rest od your fights?”
“Why the hell should I let him go?” he fires back, you feeling a torrent of rage that he’s keeping simmering just under the surface. His rage doesn’t show on the surface, except in his icy demeanor. “This bastard doesn’t deserve to live for what he’s done.”
“Maybe not, but that’s not our call.” you reply sternly. “That’s either King Vegeta’s or Lord Freeza’s place to decide, not either of ours.”
“I disagree.” your son replies, raising his right hand and creating a sword of shadowy dark magic and readying to thrust it down into the man’s trapped body. He’s not listening to you.

“Lord Freeza?” you ask him telepathically. “Should we stop this?”
“I suppose so.” he replies, blurring over behind Chilli and catching his arm the instant he starts swinging down. “That’s enough, Chilli. I believe you’ve made your point quite clear.”

Your son doesn’t answer, simply giving Freeza a shallow nod and dissipating his dark blade before turning around and walking back towards the contestant seating. He doesn’t release the crystals trapping Pinrut inside his own personal crystal prison, leaving him to Freeza exactly as he said. The emperor isn’t bothered by this, lifting the crystal dome and the warrior inside using his telekinesis. And after a second the prison explodes, shards raining down on the stage as Freeza frees the sore loser. Then with casual disdain Freeza tosses his ragdolling body towards Caulifla, catching the man’s head with the side of the arena as he pitches him over. Clearly showing how little he cares for the disgraced Saiyan, before turning and addressing the remaining competitors.

“I will tell you all this exactly once.” Freeza says, his voice sinister and giving the same effect Chilli’s magic had. “My word is law. If any of you disregard my commands in this arena, or break the rules of this tournament, you are no longer considered under my protection. Your opponent will have free reign, and anything they do to you, up to death, will be allowed. Do I make myself clear?”
“YES SIR!!” all the remaining competitors shout, saluting as one. Freeza then smirks, seeing Pinrut rising to his feet. Then before the seeming-adult can move Freeza grabs him with telekinesis, pulling the disgraced man to him.

“Now, as for you.” Freeza says, voice dripping with malice as he speaks softly. “I believe some form of punishment is in order.”

cont
>>
>>5023711
He then tosses the man into one of the walls, holding him in place as he turns his face towards Chilli.

“I need some restraints for him, if you would.” Freeza says, Chilli nodding and laying his hand on the same wall. Crystals spread out from his outstretched fingertips, covering the wall around him. Then suddenly several spikes shoot out from the wall, three piercing through each of his forearms, one through each elbow and knee, and two through each of his feet. The barbed crystal spikes bind Pinrut’s limbs in place, then grow out into manacles that bind him to the crystals embedded on the wall behind him. “Excellent. Now, on to our last match of this round. Lery and Cabba, both fighters step into the ring!”

As the two boys take the stage, a little pale and clearly rattled knowing they’re going against Chilli if they win here, neither exactly seems excited about this match. But the audience is more than excited for them, ready to get some more action. However you turn your gaze back towards Chilli, seeing Caulifla confronting him with her arms crossed, both seeming upset. Broly and Chaya are there with them, but you can’t hear what they’re all talking about. They all seem more than a little tense, arguing amongst themselves.

“I think I should handle this.” you say to Meloka, grabbing both Maz and Kayle off your lap and setting them where you’d been seated.
“Daddy?” Kayle asks.
“Somefin wrong?” Maz asks, you looking to them both and giving a reassuring smile.
“It’s okay, I just gotta take care of something real quick.” you say, bringing your right hand to your forehead and focus on Broly’s ki, then teleport. Your Instant Transmission brings you right to the four of them, as Chilli’s speaking to Caulifla.

“-sn’t matter, you almost killed him!” Caulifla shouts angrily as you appear, just behind and between her and Broly. “You stabbed him through the heart. If Lord Freeza hadn’t thrown him to me when he did, he would have been dead!”
“And? Who cares?” Chilli replies coldly, clearly shocking your daughter. And several of the other nearby competitors, who all shy away a bit further from him. “That cowardly bastard lied to me, then lied to everyone else here about what he did. And even worse, he tried to murder me when his back was turned. Just because he failed doesn’t mean he wasn’t trying to kill me. Why should I spare someone trying to end my life? Give me one good reason!”

As he was talking, your son changed his focus from Caulifla to you, having seen you appear. And he has a point, mostly. However, once the match was over your son wasn’t restricted from transforming, or using any of his other hundreds of powers to control the fight he hasn’t shown off yet today aside from going straight for the kill. And this would be fine, were it not a fellow Saiyan. After surviving so much war, and so many invasions by those desperate to drive your race to extinction, killing a fellow Saiyan has become much more taboo than it once was. Especially over a pointless tournament like this.

“Because you’re better than him.” you answer, Caulifla whirling around in surprise, having not seen or sensed your arrival. But all of your focus is on your oldest son. “He may be a shit person, but he’s still a Saiyan.”
“He tried to kill me!” Chilli shouts angrily, but you speak over him.
“He did try attacking you, but the fight was over.” you say to him. “But can you prove he was trying to kill you?”
“I can sense others’ killer intent with my magic.” he replies, sounding frustrated like he’s already explained this. “He tried to murder me. Just because I was better at killing him than he was at killing me doesn’t mean I did anything wrong.”

cont
>>
>>5023900
“I’m not saying you did anything wrong son.” you say, taking a knee beside him and laying your hand on his shoulder. “If anyone tries to take your life, you’re well justified to destroy them. But you’re better than I am. With all the varied powers at your disposal, you could make a far better example out of him than with just a quick, simple killing. If you want to deter a threat, you have to make their fate bad enough that others won’t want to try.”

And as you say this, you gesture over to Pinrut pinned to the wall.

“Lord Freeza understands this. If someone tries to kill you, simply murdering them isn’t enough.” you continue. “You have to make their fate so excruciating that no one else will even think of making the attempt.”
“But-!” Caulifla starts, you turning to her and placing your free hand on her head gently.
“You didn’t do anything wrong kiddo.” you tell her, ruffling her hair. “You were just doing your job, and trying to heal another competitor who’d been hurt in the ring. But don’t go after your brother, okay? If he’s doing something wrong, your mother or I will handle it. You all need to trust and rely on each other. Okay?”
“Okay.” she replies, smiling as if nothing happened. You then turn your focus back to your son, and give him one last bit of advice.

“Your killer instinct is very sharp, and it will keep you safe.” you tell him. “But the next step is to temper it, knowing when to unleash your full fury and when a lesser response will do instead.”
“....Alright. I understand.” he says with a nod, his body visibly relaxing. “Thank you.”
“Of course, anytime.” you tell him, raising your right hand to your forehead. “And when this is all over, we need to talk about what happened this morning. Understand?”
“Yeah.” he replies, a dark cloud coming over his expression. But before you can teleport back, the crowd roars as Freeza finishes his count.

“Nine, ten! Lery is down and out, Cabba wins the final match of the second round!” Freeza shouts. “The third round shall now begin! Broly and Arlic, come and take the stage!”
“Looks like it’s my turn.” Broly replies, turning from you all and striding towards the stage. Arlic walks up just ahead of your son, the two taking the stage together.
“Both fighters, take your forms!” Freeza calls, Arlic just taking a fully defensive stance. Your son sees this and matches him, not transforming either and taking your fighting stance. “Both fighters ready? Aaaand begin!!”

>>5023907
It was fun, tho the rolls went to shit by the end. Will we get to finally see some REAL matches now?
>>
>>5023937
>become
Anon, I...
As for real matches, these third round fights can be close, but most likely won’t be. After that last showing, everyone is going to be trying a little harder to win
>>
>>5023907
That exchange was frustrating for all the right reasons. I'm hope we take more opportunities to talk to Chilli about stuff as time goes on.
It's been clear he's needed a shoulder to lean on for a while.
We should take him on a trip to our Death World once it's ready.
>>
>>5023937
That's probably par for the course when your magic sugar daddy is literal death. Still. Sad to see it.
>>
>>5023957
I'd say it's because he got absolutely fucking massacred by a demonic monster Stand and afflicted with crippling PTSD that he has yet to deal with, but also this.
>>
>>5023957
Karn should probably meet Jergal at some point seeing as he's directly employing his son.
Same in Caulifla's case with the remnants of the Gwyn's ilk.
>>
>>5023951
Glad you’ve enjoyed, this whole exchange was fun to write.
But I don’t think killing MORE things is what he needs.
>>5023957
Not quite. Jergal doesn’t want crazies.
>>5023960
That is still quite pressing on his psyche.
>>5023963
Why would they want to meet a known divine slayer? As for Gwyn’s spawn, they’re “dead” long before you’re born
>>
>>5023969
>Not quite. Jergal doesn’t want crazies.
But he does want killers.
>>
>>5023969
>But I don’t think killing MORE things is what he needs
The trip is just an excuse to talk with Chilli, man to man, Father to Son.
It just so happens that it would also make him learn how to fight in tandem with his father, which is likely to be invaluable in the future.
>Why would they want to meet a known divine slayer?
Well it's not about what Jergal wants, is it? It's about what he has and what comes with it, namely a father who cares about his son.
>>
>>5023947
I'm astonished by the dice fucking us so hard, but I guess its to be expected when it comes to Punished Chilli.
>>5023969
>Not quite. Jergal doesn’t want crazies.
He wants executioners.
>That is still quite pressing on his psyche.
If the dice ever stopped fucking us, we could dad him.
>Why would they want to meet a known divine slayer? As for Gwyn’s spawn, they’re “dead” long before you’re born
Because Dad needs a Parent Teacher Conference yesterday, but today works too.
>>
>>5023972
He wants scribes who can accurately record the deaths of all things mainly. But took on Chilli to one day take down those who’ve lived well beyond their time.
>>5023973
Talking with him away from everything would probably be a good idea.
If you had a way to access Jergal, it would be your choice.
>>5023976
Chilli does have a hard time with his dad.
True.
Unless you have the means to access his domain, not much you can do.
>>
>>5024010
>Unless you have the means to access his domain, not much you can do.
I'm sure we can find someone, Karn is a celebrity in the Death Plane.

>>5024010

I'm sure Shin would be happy to arrange a meeting after Karn beats his ass.
>Chilli does have a hard time with his dad.
Everybody does, it's just a part of growing up. I'm glad it's nowhere near as bad as it could be though.
>>
>>5024027
>Karn is a celebrity in the Death Plane.
Not quite, at least not among Jergal’s Scribes. You do create a LOT of work for them.

Not necessarily everybody, but many certainly do

>To be fair, most beings aren’t aware of what Divine Dragon Force is capable of. From Karn to the Supreme Kai of Time to even Mechikabura and Divine Dragon Force itself
Right so DDF is still sitting on a whole host of abilities we haven't seen yet, noted. Seriously what an utterly broken stand.
>>
>>5024172
>on a whole host of abilities we haven't seen yet, noted
Well you have seen the ability. You just have no idea what the actual limits of it are. Like Okira and her Imagine Dragon. Not all Stands are created equal.

Have to clarify something from earlier this episode, realized I’d made a mistake:
>>5014826
Supposed to read:
>Langal is out, Celleri wins
Was typing Parsla before and monkey brain just retyped it instead of following the tourney bracket. Glad I went back and re-read, and caught that mistake

>>
>>5024180
Considering it can cause whole timelines to exist on it's own accord, honestly i assume its at least super dragonball tier, which means you can probably wish for basically anything and shit will get done. Whether or not bad things occur from it is a whole another matter, like i imagine using a wish thats too powerful may shut DDF down for longer, or it won't filter reprocussions all that much, but it can probably get something really really stupid done like wishing the SKoT out of existence if we really wanted too and didn't mind essentially losing the stand for a very very long time, or the massive issues that would occur from removing someone that high up the divine hierarchy.
>>
>>5024208
So, besides Karn, Karn's family, and the Ginyu force, are there any other elite task forces operating in PTO space right now?
More specifically, for the subtle problems that still plague Frieza's empire, who's out there handling it?
>>

Arctus.

I only ask because I'm knocking around the idea of a PTO Enforcer quest set in this timeline. I don't want to step on GD's toes while I'm writing ya know?
>>
>>5024566
It happens a lot, but this one is a bit more important. Can’t have the same person on two different quadrants of the tree
>>5024577
>Considering it can cause whole timelines to exist on it's own accord
Well yes, indirectly. Changing a timeline does cause new timelines to sprout from that initial change, but Divine Dragon Force isn’t powerful enough to just create a timeline. It’s not that powerful.
>like i imagine using a wish thats too powerful may shut DDF down for longer, or it won't filter reprocussions all that much
You have been warned that a wish too much for DDF will draw on your own life force, and could easily kill you. No wishing someone stronger than you dead.
>>5024894
Arctus has the Lucrehulk and it’s fleets, and there are others who work for him like Abo and Cado, Sorbet, etc who’re less renowned than the Ginyus.
>>5024937
Her name is Kaliflor. I must have just had my thumb too close to the keyboard and accidentally typed it. Good catch, and better to clarify that now. The pastebin will reflect her name, once I add her in after the tournament. Don’t want to give away Kaliflor’s actual numbers yet. Clan-Clan is her last name, just like her mother’s. Aisha Clan-Clan.
>>5024958
There are all sorts of enforcers at various levels, to deal with different threats that aren’t worth the bigger names’ time. That said,
>Space Enforcer Quest/PTO Enforcer Quest
Do it. I’m always for someone running a quest they’d want to exist. That’s why Saiyan Conqueror started after all.
>>
>>5024973
>Do it. I’m always for someone running a quest they’d want to exist. That’s why Saiyan Conqueror started after all.
I definitely want to, but my biggest concern is contradicting something in the main quest or using a plot device or villain your were planning on having here.
I have no idea if you have a lore Bible or style guide written up, but if not, I'll make do with what I've got and try to avoid mucking about with your plans.
Also debating whether or not I want to even do a Saiyan MC or just go with one of the PTO races instead.
>>
>>5024994
If need be you can always say it's an offshoot timeline.
>>
>>5024994
I’d be down to play that quest and as this anon here said >>5025004 you don’t need to follow the canon of scq, you can do your own split timeline.
>>
>>5025004
That's worst case scenario. Best case scenario is I'm able to write events and characters that could actually fit into the main quest, which is what I'm aiming for.
I've been playing in this quest for years at this point, and I want to contribute more to it than just votes and the occasional sketch as I've done in the past.
>>
>>5024994
We’re in a world with theoretically infinite universes. The way I’d see it, you’re just exploring yet another branching timeline. Which is also kinda the reason SKoT hates Karn. Once singular, fate-defying choice has led to several NEW, different timelines sprouting from this one. So if you want to use minor/major villains go for it. The closest I come to owning any of the characters are the OCs, excluding those made for other, some ongoing but most now-dead quests like Arctus, Kabuya, etc. But I will give you a small hint, for worldbuilding’s sake: spoilers ahead btw, if you don’t want a spoiler stop here: every vote that has had a tiebreaker roll was influenced by something, and created a timeline split. And that is all I will say about the matter here.
>>
QM UPDATE

Ok, so interesting update here: there will be no continuation of this Saturday’s episode on Sunday, as I’ll be busy rolling dice irl. And relevant sooner, this episode might actually have two epilogues instead of one, from two different characters’ perspectives. While Karn’s at the tournament, things are happening elsewhere in the wider universe. There may have been a reason for certain characters to have gotten spotlights recently...

>>5026160
Hey GD, side question. Would Energy Body stop/slow the rate of absorption if a Majin tried to engulf Karn while it was active? On one hand, Majin absorption requires actually extracting the energy of the person vored, but on the other hand, Majins are inherently magical creatures, and magic seems to be one of the big counters of the technique.
>>
>>5026438
As Vegito showed, having a ki-based barrier between you and his slime would keep the absorption from fully happening. Leaving you trapped, however, inside the Majin.
>>
>>5026444
You mean leaving us free to cut out his victims, provided they were recently absorbed.
>>
>>5026475
As long as they were powerful enough to “preserve”, and draw on their power, yes. But such a thing is dangerous at best, leaving you in an environment a monster like Buu completely controls, and reducing you to a scale you cannot actually do any harm to Buu. Forcing a war of attrition where you have no option to retreat or rest once the battle begins. Going inside Majin Buu should be an absolute last resort.
>>
>>5026486
Duly noted, let's hope it doesn't get to that point.
Let's also hope that Broly isn't the only person who picks up our Energy Body technique
>>
>>5022415
Somebody could say that Karn is already a legend. Though I don't understand how he could get from where he is today to being worshiped as a god? It seems strange.

>other has a lot of responsibilities to attend to and has a general lack of freedom.
That sounds like the type of deity that is part of the current divine hierarchy where Karn would probably be some kind of Shin's subordinate. It does not seem like it is ever about to happen.

There was an information about Berserker God that it is something that represents rejection of all of this. Including the current hierarchy and the innate tiny divine spark that supposedly all living beings have in this Universe.

Because of all of this I doubt Karn would have to be like this:
> has a lot of responsibilities to attend to and has a general lack of freedom.
It seems improbable to see in the future Karn reporting to Shin, taking orders from Shin, and other similar things.
Why would Karn suddenly stop being like he is today? I think Karn could and should simply remain Karn.
>>
>>5026564
>Though I don't understand how he could get from where he is today to being worshiped as a god? It seems strange.
Some cultures do have deified dead. Kinda like saints but more intense. And really the way it happens is pretty simple. Someone does something remarkable, people talk about it, it gets embellished and it either becomes accepted as myth or it gets acknowledged as something more. Like you go from killing a bandit lord who pillaged a couple of towns to being a hero swordsman who had a three day and night long duel with a demon where lightning struck the bad guy and let the good guy land a killing blow because the hero had the heavens were on his side already. Time is a wild, mutating thing.

Besides, being worshiped as a god and actually being a god are two different things.
>>
>>5026564
That was my point. Karn isn't a God by any metric, even if he goes toe-to-toe with them. Titles like Legend, Champion, Guardian, etc...they all fit Karn a lot better.
The fact that he's making a tangible impact on the mortal realm and interacting with it only furthers him from any traditionally divine epitaphs.
>>
>>5026541
It will only get that bad if you make mistakes.

A living legend, at least. And what I think anon means as far as worship is long after Karn and his grandchildren are gone.

Well yes, but also no.
>>
>>5026541

>>5026564
All it takes is 2-3 generations after someone’s gone for people to deify/demonize them.>>5026583
>Besides, being worshiped as a god and actually being a god are two different things.
Well yes, but actually no. The key component to many divine beings existing is Faith. People have a belief in recording the names, dates, and causes of death for everyone they know? Causes beings like Jergal, whom his name is all but entirely forgotten in the mortal realm, to continue existing. Which is also why death and malicious evil deities always have power.
>>5026862
True enough, at least in Universe 7.
>>
>>5026886
>And your students are very attentive
I expect nothing less. How many of them realize exactly that Karn is trying keep up the technique passively though?
>>
>>5026886
Hey GD, Eye Beams are usually more of a piercing attack, right? Does this mean that if someone on Blackfire's level had fired a regular energy wave at us instead, it wouldn't have even burnt through our passive energy body all the way to begin with, like her eye beams did?
>>
>>5026933
One so far, since you’ve started holding onto it all day. More than 1/2 of them think it’s just as suppressed as your Ascended Berserker aura gets.
>>5026947
Yes and no. Blackfire’s biggest problem is the sheer power difference now between you and her. She’s now around 75-80 million, whereas your BASE form is just ovet 50 million. At that extreme difference, ONLY a piercing attack would work

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 163 Epilogue-

AGE 750, DREADZONE STATION

“And that is why I suggest reaching out to the Zoldyck clan.” you say, steepling your fingers before you with elbows on your knees. “As prominent assassins, and the ones who tracked down the Lin Kuei organization before, they are the perfect candidate to aid us now.”
“But have you seen their rates?” Vox proclaims angrily, rising up out of his seat with both hands planted on his desk. “They’re not just assassins, they’re extortionists!”
“Who tried, and failed, to eliminate this group once already.” you counter, having been prepared for both your boss’s emotional arguments, as well as purely logical ones. Which, having dealt with all sorts, you were prepared for any argument.

Your name is Tanya Degurechaff, General of Dreadzone’s military, number two Exterminator, and currently speaking with your boss to try pursuing him into eliminating the Lin Kuei. Who, several hours earlier, had attacked you trying to capture Dr. Schugel and his experimental technology currently in development to try and take down the Super Saiyan, and current Champion of Dreadzone, Chaya. After interrogating the defeated, disarmed, and thoroughly-disabled metal assassin designated FR0ST-011, learning far more than you’d hoped with the doctor’s help, you’d come to your boss, Gleeman Vox with a proposal. A very daring and expensive proposal, which could make Vox even richer than he already is. Which brings you back to your points.

“Before news of their failure can spread too far, and shame them on the galactic stage, we’d be giving them a chance to have us help eliminate them quickly, and quietly.” you say, then feel a smirk come to your face despite how hard you try stifling it. “Or, if they refuse, we could release the footage from both New Salda, and the attack and attempted kidnapping on myself and the doctor.”

“You-You really think I’m going to publically smear a family of known assassins?! You must be out of your mind!!” he screams almost fearfully. “Absolutely not. I hold no illusions about how strong the two Zoldyck patriarchs are, and have seen Silva’s daughter Emilia in combat personally. I have it on good authority that Silva can defeat our entire military on his own, including Chaya at her siblings at full power. Not to mention his father, Zeno. Even Cold himself fears that man’s power!”
“Then it’s a good thing it won’t come to that.” you reply, grin turning absolutely predatory. “We and the Zoldyck family have had a common enemy for a while now. I just hadn’t discovered it until today.”
>>
>>5027253
“Wait, what?” he asks, surprised. “What do you mean?”
“Think about it.” you say, rising to your feet and gesturing to the portable screen, Visha clicking her remote to cycle the video to the assassins appearing by you and the Doctor, and going on the attack. “How did they know about this? This project is so top secret you don’t even have it registered in the system at at all, not even under a code name. Dr. Schugel works from a private network of computers, not connected to the rest of the facility’s network nor the wider internet. His pay is only on the books under the name and title “Don Schugel, Janitor”. Only you, myself, and my second Serebryakov here knew of this program. So I’ll ask you again: how did they know?”
“Well I certainly didn’t tell them!” he shouts, getting defensive. Which is time to spring your theory on him.
“Of course you didn’t.” you reply gently. “Just as you didn’t shut down the alarm and open the floodgates for the Hive, while your best fighters all slept.”

He’s shocked at what you say, and for an instant clearly gets angry. Apparently thinking you’re accusing him of doing that. But as he thinks it over, you see the anger swiftly fade to confusion, then replaced by shock moments after as he reaches the same conclusion you had earlier. Vox may be an emotional man, but you don’t build a media empire like his by being stupid. His eyes continue widening, jaw hanging wide as he realizes what you suspect.

“The Lin Kuei were the ones who hacked us?” he says rather than asks after several moments, eyes darting back and forth as he looks at things you cannot see. “But why? While they were here I insured their safety, and even had several different weapons constructed for their organization. Why would they betray me?”

“They aren’t aiming to sabotage the working relationship between you two. Their aims are much more simple.” you answer, gesturing to Visha to change the video to another, much older one. A video taken from Karn’s old ship of when Chaya was first here at Dreadzone, and much younger. The same age you were when you joined the military back home, in fact. The video is aboard Karn’s old ship, taken from the hallway pointing at/into one of the bedrooms. The film is black and white due to the low light, and clearly shows a pair of Lin Kuei assassins creeping around silently. The two sneak up to the door, and triggering the automatic sensor one freezes the door as the other rushes immediately into the room. Before the sleeping Zoldyck girl can wake up he’s rushed her bedside, grabbing her and immediately begins coating her and the bed itself in ice. She wakes up of course, but before she realizes what’s happening the other rushes in and grabs her legs, pinning her down.
>>
>>5027254
The two assassins rapidly freeze her to the bed, both adding more and more ice and trapping the young Zoldyck woman, who’s eyes are frozen open in shock.

“Visha, skip the next twenty three seconds of footage.” you say, your assistant skipping ahead. The video continues at a rapid pace, both assassins adding more and more ice until she’s trapped inside a block larger than her and her bed. But at the edge of the camera’s vision you see a tiny Chaya rush up, naked except for her boots rush to the doorway, see the two inside and slam her hands over her mouth, turning back outside the doorway as one assassin turns towards the noise.

“What is it?” one of them says, still adding more ice to the block. “See something?”
“Nah, thought I heard something.” the other says, eyeing the frozen doorway. “If that bastard wakes up, we’re fucking dead.”
“So let’s get the job done and get the hell out of here.” the first one says, the air getting even colder as he adds yet more ice. “The boss told us not to engage the Super Saiyans, no matter what. We just kill her and get the fuck off this station.”
“Wait, this was when Chaya first arrived?” Vox asks you, Visha pausing the tape without you asking. “Two assassins actually thought they could get away with this?”
“They were only the first, but not the last.” you reply, remembering the rest of the footage you’d seen. “And they got off lucky that they only faced Chaya. She wasn’t the only one awake.”

Flipping to another display with the same timestamp on the screen, you see an also-naked Karn standing just outside the sealed doorway to his family, clearly listening to what’s happening before flipping back.

“C’mon, hurry up.” one of the two Lin Kuei says. “I got a bad feeling we’re being watched.”
“I’ll check the door, you keep freezing her.” the other one says, Chaya stepping out around the corner after a few steps.
“Oh shi-!” the one walking to the door says, then relaxes. “Oh, it’s just you. Run along little girl, before you get, hurt?”
“HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” she shouts, blazing up into her Super Saiyan form.
“Even the kid’s a Super Saiyan?!” he asks, scrambling backwards and back to his feet, creating a blade of ice in his hand. “Dammit I knew this was a bad idea.
”It may be a Super Saiyan, but it’s still a kid.” the one still freezing Emilia Zoldyck says. “Take her out.”

Before either of them can react, she dashes off the ground and slams her fist into the one without the sword’s face so hard he slams unmoving into the wall. Chaya turns back to the one with the sword, seeing him trembling.

“Wh-What are you?!” he asks, pointing the sword at you. “What the hell are you?”
“I’m Chaya.” she says, closing in, dodging the swing, and kicking the man’s head so hard it explodes in a rain of gore. “Eeeeewwww!”
>>
>>5027256
“Ever since this occasion, the first time a Saiyan killed their men, the Lin Kuei have had it in for the Saiyans.” you say, Visha ending that video without a word. “And more specifically, Karn. Once their organization’s upper echelons were demolished by the Zoldyck family, this would have left a power vacuum amongst their ranks. One which an ambitious, charismatic new leader with an ambitious goal could fill.”

Serebryakov changes the video again, this time to days before your battle against the disciple Kai Kars, when the battle over the cursed amulet started. You hadn’t known this video existed at first, but backtracking the date you were able to find that the entire thing had been recorded by Karn’s ship’s outer cameras. His crew had been reluctant to hand over copies of the video, but relented once you told them the purpose of you gathering the intel. The woman who’s very similar to the machine you dismantled uses the amulet’s power to boost her own ice magic, until she’s disarmed and it’s taken by some sort of goblin in a wheelchair who summons machine monsters. Which Vox seems unsurprisingly interested in, since if he could convince someone with powers like that to work for him, his armies would become far cheaper to produce almost no matter whatever price their creator asked. But that isn’t the point, you directing Viktoriya to zoom in on the girl’s face.

“Doesn’t she look familiar?” you ask, surprising Vox by tossing the severed, disabled robot’s head right onto his deck. “They’re seeking power. But not just power. The Lin Kuei are after Chaya’s family, and seeking every method available to take them down.”
“And you think these ‘Cyber’ Lin Kuei are also the ones behind the security breach, trying to get them killed back during the war as well?” Vox asks, you nodding to confirm his words.
“But I’m not the only one with this idea.” you say, and turn back to your second-in-command. “Call Arctus.”
“Yea Ma’am!” she replies, typing away for several seconds. The screen behind you changes, revealing the alien cousin of Lord Freeza himself, former leader of the Booze Hounds, Arctus.

“Greetings, Commander Arctus.” you say with a salute, greeting the master and commander of the mighty Lucrehulk ship he’d rebuilt from some ancient plans found who knows where. “I appreciate your willingness to cooperate in this endeavor.”
“Likewise, General Degurechaff.” he replies, dropping his salute as he turns his attention to Vox himself. “I assume she’s caught you up to speed?”
“Yes, I believe so.” Vox replies. “You agree with her assessment that these new ‘Cyber’ Lin Kuei ninjas have been the ones behind the sabotage?”
>>
>>5027261
“Mostly. I believe that they contracted the actual dirty work out to one of several third party groups who specialize in this sort of corporate sabotage, but they are ultimately the ones ultimately responsible.” he answers. “We nail them, we’ll find out who they paid to do the dirty work.”
“Excellent.” Vox replies. “But are you sure it wasn’t the Lin Kuei directly?”
“After General Degurechaff here contacted me and told me of her suspicions, I’ve been doing a little digging.” he replies, Vox giving you a sideways glance for a moment. “And I managed to find something interesting. There has been a lot of money moving around the net recently. Mostly through third and fourth parties specializing in financial transfer secrecy and security, but one organization in particular stands out: Kukuroo Financial.”

“I’ve heard that name before.” Vox says, pondering for a moment before the name comes to him. “Wait, you mean that Kukuroo Financial?! The ones who-!”
“Clean the money for those who want to contract the Zoldyck family for assassinations, but are willing to pay a premium to avoid having their name anywhere on it?” Arctus finishes for him. “The very same.”
“But who would they pay the Zoldycks to kill?” Vox asks him, you having the same question but not voicing it as you struggle to fit this piece into the puzzle. “Everyone knows they have a strict code of honor, and have been explicit in telling the universe that that they will not strike against Karn’s family in any capacity. So who could they be paying such a high price to kill? Who WOULD they pay that much to erase?”

“I may have the answer to that. In fact, from what I can tell, the money wasn’t actually-“ he says, then all of a sudden, Arctus’s call is cut. The screen goes black, and his face simply disappears.
“Arctus? Arctus?!” Vox shouts at the screen, but then the screen changes. A cattoonish figure resembling a heavily-armored ninja, complete with a bladed samurai helmet and flowing purple cape/scarf. “What the hell?”
“Sorry, but I’m cutting this call short.” the figure says, it’s voice clearly a heavily-synthesized text-to-speech program to make it’s origin completely unrecognizable. “Arctus will no longer be taking calls from solicitors. Or anyone else, for that matter.”

And just like that, the strange transmission ends. Leaving you with a terrible, sinking feeling in your gut: Arctus is about to die. So you do the one thing that can possibly save one of the PTO’s most brilliant minds, and make one more call. To the single-most dangerous being you know.

“Hello?” he asks, clearly confused. “Who is this?”
“We don’t have much time, Arctus is in danger.” you tell him into his scouter. “Hurry, General Karn! Before it’s too late!”

Dis gon be good
This assassin business has been building up for a good while, should be fun to see how it plays out.
Slightly worried that the "yeah, your buddy Arctus is kinda screwed, huh?" call might be a distraction though and not just taunting when they think it's too late to stop

>how it plays out
You’ll see soon.

This is gonna be fun.

Very exciting epilogue.

Random question to the drinkers who’re here, which drink do you think suits Arctus better?
「Blue Hawaii」
「Piña Colada」
「Bloody Mary」
For, uhh, no reason

Gin and Juice, seriously how do you not know this?

Leave it to a Japanese middle management man to find out some Assassin clan fucking with his projects.

Blue Hawaii.
Seems like perfect drink to sip on during a barbecue, which is what I imagine is what Arctus usually does when he's not building armadas or bar-crawling.

>>5027874
Blue Hawaii, but I could see him being partial to Pina Colada for the song.

He's the most infamous bar crawler ever with several intergalactic bans and bar tabs. Of course he'd know it.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 163 Epilogue II-

AGE 750, THE LUCREHULK

“I may have the answer to that. In fact, from what I can tell, the money wasn’t actually-“ you were saying, then all of a sudden the call is cut. The screen goes black, and the faces of Gleeman Vox and his General and number two Exterminator Tanya Degurechaff simply disappear. The screen goes black a moment before a cattoonish figure resembling a heavily-armored ninja, complete with a bladed samurai helmet and “What the hell?”
“Sorry, but I’m cutting this call short.” the figure says, it’s voice clearly a heavily-synthesized text-to-speech program to make it’s origin completely unrecognizable. “Sorry, Arctus, but I must take you offline. Permanently.”

As the figure says this suddenly alarms start going off, and from your other screens start seeing as different systems on the Lucrehulk getting shut down! First navigation, then the droid controls, and after that the engines. You’re forced to watch as control of your entire ship is wrenched from you, leaving you sitting powerless in the command chair of the bridge. Even control of comms is taken, leaving you unable to communicate with the outside universe or call for assistance.

You are Arctus: architect of the PTO’s first Lucrehulk, cousin to Freeza and Cooler, former leader of the Booze Hounds, and currently under attack from your unknown hacker who’s been playing this game of cat and mouse with you since you’d learned of their actions against Vox, and more specifically the Saiyan under his employ: Karn’s eldest daughter Chaya. Ever since you’d been trying to catch this individual or group, hunting them throughout the net, but to no avail. They were always one step ahead of you, despite you being the one who’d implemented most of the network’s frame across the universe under the direction of your distant uncle, King Cold. The original purpose of the net was, as the name implies, to catch his prey: the wizard Babidi. Who knows the hidden location of the sealed monster Majin Buu, and how to release it. Your uncle and Babidi have been playing this game of cat and mouse for centuries, the wizard always just able to escape capture or death. Even the Saiyan, working with the Ginyu Force’s Guldo managed to take half of the sorcerer, but did manage to leave him legless. Yet despite his now-crippled state, he still has managed to avoid detection since. Wherever he’s gone to ground and hiding, he’s chosen a good spot this time.

“Permanently? You must think whoever’s crewing your little ships that are approaching will be enough to take me down.” you reply, seeing the avatar’s brows shoot up in surprise. Whoever’s controlling it certainly isn’t the acting type. “Oho, so they are yours. Unfortunately, they’re all going to die before ever reaching me.”
>>
>>5028189
“Wh-What? How did you know?!” the avatar stammers, then tries covering that slip with anger. “Your scouting tech has been offline-!”
“For the past ten minutes, yes I’m quite aware.” you say calmly, smirking and steepling your fingers before you. “Unfortunately for you, Tekkadan’s ships have their own, entirely different operating systems. And, even better, aren’t remote-accessible. Isn’t that right, Orga?”
“Unless you’re hard-wired into the Isaribi, you’re not getting control of my ship, you bastard.” Orga replies, on the seperate comm line receiver/transmitter you’d switched on behind you, his face doubtlessly appearing as you activate the screen as well. That screen isn’t networked in yet, thankfully, giving you an open short-range communication line your hacker can’t touch. “It takes a real special type of coward to hide behind a facade, even when they think they’ve already won.”

“I-! You-!” the avatar sputters, unable to come up with words to convey their frustration. But while your hacker stammers like an idiot, Orga takes control of his crew. “Eugene, are we ready?”
“Armed and ready boss!” comes the muffled reply. “Just give the command!”
“Fire.” Orga says, sweeping his right hand forward. As he does the hacker’s avatar spasms, most likely from choking on the food it’s been eating as sees the attack, from your ship’s cameras probably. But you don’t need to see it directly, having witnessed the Isaribi’s firepower directly during several training exercises with Tekkadan’s fleet. Two small Covenant cruisers’ shields won’t be able to withstand the warship’s firepower for long enough to get in close. “Mika, Akihiro. You both ready?”

“We’re ready.” Akihiro says. “Akihiro Altland, Gundam Gusion Rebake Full City!”
“And Mikazuki Augus, Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex. Moving out!”
“Wait. The-they have GUNDAMS?!!” the hacker’s avatar shouts, immediately changing your screen with his avatar to the feed from your cameras. You both watch as the two mobile suits are launched from the Isaribi as it’s main cannons fire another volley. This time it strikes the ship on your right, the cruiser’s shields flickering in and out as they take the powerful shots directly. “Real, actual Gundams?! No fair!!”
“Looks like someone didn’t do their homework.” you say smugly as the white mobile suit blitzes forward, while Akihiro’s four-armed suit brings all four of it’s 120mm Long Range Rifles to bear and begins unloading each of them at the ships as he closes in. “Such a shame for you that I didn’t leave any notes of Tekkadan’s capabilities anywhere on the network.”
“Tch! Y-You think you’re the only one with a surprise up their sleeve?” he replies, his avatar overlaying the screen in the bottom right corner. “I think you forgot who’s now in control of your ship!”
>>
>>5028191
“Control? You think you’re in control here?” you ask, the ninja avatar freezing in place. “You may have infected the electronic controls, but this is MY ship! Down to the last bolt, I built this vessel. I AM this Lucrehulk! And so long as I draw breath, no one can take that from me!”
“Oh yeah? What about if I turn all of your Quad Turbolaser batteries on that little ship?” he taunts, the display switching to the targeting camera and you seeing all the batteries capable begin turning to face the Isaribi. “What now?!”
“Oi, Arctus! Why are you locking on to me?!” Orga calls over the other comms line. “Don’t tell me-?”
“It’s fine. My ship will not fire upon you.” you answer, closing your eyes, raising your hands out to your sides, and fully opening yourself up to the entire universe.

You feel it, the living energy called the Force by the ancient Guardians Cold was once a part of that flows throughout everything. It is all things, yet it is not. A living entity, yet seperate from all the living and nonliving beings that make it up. Almost like how you’d imagine being inside a computer program, and reaching out to touch that program would feel. But you are no mere observer of the universe: you are one chosen to shape it’s destiny. Touching each and every turret witb your mind, you begin bending that universal force to your will. Through the bonds forged between you and every inch of your ship, your connection to the Force is at it’s strongest when manipulating it. And so you do, reaching out and grasping hold of each and every quad turbolaser battery, and begin turning them all away from the Isaribi.

“Wh-What?! That-That’s impossible!!” your hacker shouts in shock and a healthy dose of fear, you actually hearing the distorted clack of keys as he furiously types away. “Your entire system is under my control! I have the entire system, this can’t be possible!”
“Computers cannot control everything. Writing lines of code and manipulating numbers isn’t the paths to true control.” you reply, half-opening your eyes as you feel a bit of a self-indulgent smirk coming to your face at hearing his fear. “The universe runs on a much more ancient script, one predating sentients’ use of electricity. Allow me to show you.”

And so, with your connection to the Force at full flow, you reach out with your hand directly to your hacker’s chosen image on the screen before you, on the intent behind that image, and grab a hold of them. You can feel the would-be hacker’s neck in your hand, and for a brief instant your mind brushes up against their own. But more importantly, they can also feel your hand on their neck.
>>
>>5028192
“You thought you were safe, hiding behind your screens and aliases, didn’t you?” you ask, the avatar’s hands going towards it’s neck as it’s eyes immediately begin bugging out. You squeeze down, not enough to outright kill them, but more than enough to slowlu begin choking the life out of them. “But as easily as you or I can manipulate computers with code, I can also reach out and manipulate reality itself. I have the power to touch creation itself, and shape it however I see fit. And you thought you could just waltz in here, take control of my computers, and I’d do nothing? No, I’m ending this little game, and you. Any last words before you die?”

“I-! I ac!” he tries saying, your choke mosty keeping him from actually speaking. So you let off a bit, and let him speak. “Initi...ate... Self. Destruct.”

And just like flipping a switch the link vanishes, you losing both the video and audio call, but also your connection to the would-be hacker also vanishing like smoke in a breeze. You missed your first best shot at killing him, whoever he was, all because you wanted to act like your cousins and gloat. Dammit. And now, not only are your systems still down, but now the overhead warning strobe goes off, along with the siren and automated message you’d feared to one day hear.

“Self destruct sequence, initiated.” you hear over the local speakers, and is broadcast all over your ship. “Thirty seconds until reactor detonation, all personnel please evacuate immediately.”
“Oh no you don’t!” you reply, again closing your eyes and throwing your arms wide as you focus. Reaching through your link with your ship, you feel the reactor rapidly approaching critical mass. If you don’t act soon, it will blow and destroy your ship in it’s entirety. An old cliche, but should Karn and Freeza have lost during the Great War, you weren’t planning on letting the Covenant simply have your ship. Not even over your dead body. But now you have to stop a full reactor meltdown without any electonic systems while they’re all hard rebooting. You have to do this yourself, or all of your hard work will have been for naught. You can do this. No. You will do this!

Focusing with all the intensity you can muster, you turn your full might on your ship’s reactor. And with little more than sheer willpower you focus, pouring more and more effort into suppressing the repeated chain reactions. You feel all the laws of physics fighting against you, straining to fufill what is only natural, but you resist. YOU decide what will or won’t happen on your ship, and the reactor detonating is something you will absolutely not allow!
>>
>>5028193
Several grueling moments, or minutes, or what could even possibly years later, you feel the reactor’s self destruct subsiding. Suppressing the chain reactions long enough stopped any new ones from taking off, and as you faintly hear the self-destruct timer reach zero, you can feel it stop. Not designed to still be here after a self destruct, the system begins reverting back to how it was before the sequence initiated and you hear a quite unexpected noise. Faintly at first, but as it continues the noise gets louder and louder until your eyes snap open, looking around frantically for a moment until you recognize Orga’s voice.

“Arctus? Arctus, what’s going on?!” he calls out frantically. You raise a hand to him, take a deep breath, exhale it, and then tell him what happened.
“It’s alright. I stopped the self-destruct sequence.” you tell him, chest heaving a bit and head throbbing painfully from the exertion. You’re gonna need a drink after all that. Or perhaps twelve? “What’s the situation with the two cruisers?”
“That’s what I’ve been trying to reach you about.” he says, voice worried. “They’re gone.”
“Gone?” you ask, your systems all still down and rebooting so you’re unable to verify. “What happened?”
“It sounds insane. But there was a flash of light, and then they were gone.” he says, you blinking a few times in confusion. Did you hear that right? “ Mika and Akihiro were battling their fighters, but as Mika approached the ships themselves there was a bright light, like looking at a stat. Right as the light faded the ships and their fighters were just gone.”
“What fighters?” you ask, having not seen them either. “More mobile suits?”
“No, they were about man-sized, and extremely fast.” he says, one of his guys changing the display from Tekkadan’s boss to a recorded monitor shot that makes your blood run a bit cold. “Sangheili warriors, except nothing appeared on the vitals scans. Whatever they are, they weren’t alive.”

“Oh great. That’s exactly what I need.” you say with a sigh, mentally making a note to upgrade that twelve drinks to thirty. This battle is about to get a lot worse. “You guys pull back, and make sure none of them are on your ship.”
“What about you?” Orga asks. “Shouldn’t you at least have-?”
“No. We’ll handle this.” you reply, rising up out of your chair since before this little battle began. But before you can turn off comms to Orga, you hear Eugene shout “We found them!”
“You found the ships?” Orga asks, you waiting a moment to hear the answer. But seeing his face lose all color makes you a bit worried. “Arctus, seal off your hangars, now! Those ships somehow managed to both land inside the left arm of the Lucrehulk!!”
>>
>>5028194
“Oh, did they now?” you ask, a smile coming to your face. “Excellent. Get you and your people back, I don’t want them getting any funny ideas and trying to take you guys hostage. Head back planetside, and I’ll rejoin you once I’ve cleaned house.”
“But-!” Orga starts, you turning off the comms before he can say anything else and stretching.
“Mrrrrrmm!!” you exhale, stretching your arms overhead a moment before bringing your hands together, popping your knuckles. “Alright, time for some-“
“Arctus, what’s going on?” Karn suddenly thinks to you. “Is everything okay?”
“Ah, Karn. I assume General Degurechaff called you?” you reply telepathically, turning and walking out of the control room. “Yes, everything is going according to plan.”
“To plan?” he asks, you sensing his confusion as you take a casual stroll towards the Lucrehulk’s left arm. “Tanya contacted me because someone cut off your comms.”

“Yes, and I gave our little hacker friend a sore throat and ego check for that one.” you reply smugly, quickly approaching the large, sealed interior hangar blast door. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a few more rats to throw overboard.”
“Alright, good hunting.” he replies, then before ending the link adds. “If you need backup, don’t hesitate.”

And then he ends the mental bond, you reaching out with the Force and opening the heavy sealed blast door. And sure enough you see it, two small Covenant warships surrounded by B1 Battle Droids and Vulture droids, all looking towards it confused.

“Status report!” you call out, striding forward confidently.
“No organics or mobile machinery discovered inside the craft.” a ranked droid calls, emerging from the side. “The vessel seems to be abando-“

But your droid cannot finish it’s sentence, as a familiar duo-bladed energy sword pierces straight through it’s back. Several of the other droids raise their weapons, but you throw your right hand wide and issue orders.

“STAND DOWN!” you call, all the droids stopping immediately. “Form a perimeter, but do not approach. I’m not wasting any resources against these failures.”
“Failures, are we?” a chilling, synthesized voice says from behind the droid amidst the “Roger roger”s of your metal soldiers retreating. Slicing cleanly up and through your droid, the Sangheili warrior’s invisibility fades. And the first thing you notice is it has no ki. Second, you notice it’s entirely made of machinery, like that Lin Kuei assassin that attacked Tanya. “Hmm, perhaps. But now we have been reborn, and shall have our revenge.”
>>
>>5028198
“Revenge? Foolish.” you say, shaking your head. “Your people started this war, now go on about revenge? Had you been smart enough to accept the Supreme Kai’s peace treaty, and not tried assassinating the Saiyans and destroying their world, your homeworld wouldn’t have been razed to the ground.”

And just then your precognition shows you a vision, of you still speaking to the one before you as another invisible one suddenly appears, stabbing you in the back. You know better than to ignore a sight like that, and react immediately. You whirl clockwise, spinning and throwing out a horizontal Death Slash that sails a dozen or so feet before fading. Yet it doesn’t go without meeting resistance, slashing through two invisible forms. Both halves of the two Sangheili assassins appear, sparking and falling to the ground as they leak what appears to be oil instead of blood.

“More cybernetics? Foolish worm servants.” you reply, turning back to the first speaker and taking a wide stance quite similar to your cousin’s. “Resorting to mechanization for easy power, instead of earning it through self-improvement? Worthless.”
“Pride cannot avenge our people.” he replies, drawing a second sword in his left hand. “Only death can satiate my people’s thirst for justice!”
“Justice? Very well, I shall deliver them your corpse.” you reply, cracking your knuckles. “What do you say, 「BLUE HAWAII」ready to go?”
“I’m ready boss.” your Stand says, materializing behind you with it’s head peering over your right shoulder. “Let’s send this scrap back to the junkyard.”

Cyber-Sangheili eh? Now that's fucking cool.
Not that it'll save them from the ensuing KARNAGE, but still very cool.
Also I'm looking forward to seeing just what Blue Hawaii can do.
I also wanna see Cooler's stand as well.
He's drunk with power and on a direct course for New Salda, isn't he?

I'm also glad that he has a stand that can speak so it can banter with him, that's nice.

Cyber goon squads won't stop the executions coming, nor slow it down.

>>5028242
It makes sense, drink enough and you are your own talking partner.

And now you can see the reason why I had to split this epilogue in two, as it was rather girthty. Enjoy seeing what Arctus’s devious mind comes up with, as well as his own personal growth that you didn’t get much of during the War?

>>5028204
Cyber Sangheili was actually, unironically the hacker’s idea.

No such thing to Arctus. But I will say this, Blue Hawaii’s ability is related to drink.

>Cyber Sangheili was actually, unironically the hacker’s idea.
Next you'll tell me is that he hacked an AI to divert the defense logic program at RTF address 236 to call a non-existent program thus creating a blank memory block that he can then write unrestricted code on.
But only a fool would do that, right?

Here we are, just over 24 hours until episode 164 begins. And if all goes well, this tournament will finally reach it’s dramatic(or maybe not so much) conclusion.

Alright, fair. The actual influence of System Shock varies for each of those individual titles I mentioned.
To give a succinct plot hook;
You're a hacker who wakes up from a healing coma onboard a space station taken over by a malevolent AI.
All members of the crew have been mutated or murdered, leaving you as the only man left aboard.
You're tasked to stop the AI from decimating Earth in a variety of ways.
This involves a lot of shooting, exploring, hacking, space tech magic, and puzzle solving.

>>5026541
>Let's also hope that Broly isn't the only person who picks up our Energy Body technique
Broly and Karn have the benefit of their Berserker transformations. They keep generating Ki that can be poured into the shield that makes the Energy Body. It's very easy for them to maintain the this technique active for an extended period of time. I'm not talking here about using it as passive I just mean that they will not run out of power just from keeping the shield active.

Other beings (without berserker transformation) will feel the energy drain that keeping this shield on causes. Yet despite this it still is a very useful technique. Even if they use it only for a duration of a fight or even in just a few intense moments of battle this technique can still be a life saver.

I think Vegeta is already thinking about learning it (after seeing how Karn used it).

Then there is also Freeza (Very nice that he found time for our little tournament). Can you imagine how much of a tank he would be if went full power Golden Freeza and then poured his Ki into Energy Body?

Freeza's energy reserves might be so vast that maybe he could easily keep it active for a long time despite not having energy generation like the one that Berserker transformation gives.

Honestly I kind of can't wait for when Beerus finally shows up, we get LSSJ3, and energy body becomes full on stupid with how much power we would have.
