Heyo!
So, after a couple months of pause and a wedding, we are back in action to conclude who would be the overlord species of the planet (and who would DIE AND BURN)
--

If I get enough of my olden players (I believe we were 10 right? So 8 will suffice) I shall continue. If not, well, a new game will be upon us.

Roll 57
"Feasting upon all around them, the ever-expanding minds of the Elder Smeg's become accustomed to using minute amounts of psionic energy to aid in breaking down food. This psionic energy has allowed them to gain a method of psionically induced propulsion, increasing the rate at which they spread through the ocean. They are now known as "Enthrallers"
Evolve the Enthraller on my right, south most Elder Smeg tile.

Expansions:

- Free expand my Smegmo G2 on >6 ^2, left to right, diagonally right into the ocean tile containing a Smegmocean G2 and a Boog-Efo
- Free expand my Smegmocean G1 to the right, onto the Smegmocean G2 originator tile to wipe out the guts.

We all did our turns back then, just waiting on Bid to process them. Hopefully Nut sees this and makes it back.

But since we're doing refresher posts for our last turns, mine was:

((Rolled 63 (1d100)

The Glideloupes (Gloupes G3) make better use of their membranes. First, they were used to swim, and then they were used to glide. The next natural step is flight. These creatures take to the skies in large swarms, feasting by the coastline and snatching the ill-fated gliders out of the sky. They're like seagulls, rapidly reproducing and hunting in large swarms.

Attribute: Ocean.
For the trait, I'd like something to do with flying and propagation, hopefully something that boosts the free/passive expansion?))

> evolve the Grasping Peke on the spore biome into the Carrier Peke
In this weird, weird land made of spores and decaying flesh, the Peke didn’t thrive, not exactly. These things lacked soul, lacked heat, lacked anything that might feed them, but they weren’t dying.

Still, their evolved thinking helped them realize that this was not a fertile pasture, and so they did, listening to something other than mad hunger for once in their time.

As they moved, they fell prey to some offshoots of the terrifying Gloupes, the vanguards of that dreadful host (if such a name can be given to a herd of abominations as those are), with many a Peke falling to the expert hunters. Some survived though, and it just so happened that these individuals shared a particular bond with the spores, being capable of cooperating with them, lugging them around and helping them spread, all while gaining an “armor” of poisonous material that while not finding purchase in the peke’s specially adapted shell, definitely harmed more unfamiliar beings.

And so it was that the Carrier Peke was born, not out of mad hunger warping the worms’ bodies as had been for millennia, but through natural selection, a process ironically alien to the twisted beings up until now

>+1 toxic!
>>
Rolled 4 + 1 (1d5 + 1)

>>5057263
> “Parasitic colonies” -
These species grow in colonies upon larger species in their environment. Latching onto them with tiny spikes, slowly draining their nutrients away
IG: if your species shares a tile with a larger species that has less toxicity than your species digestion and they can not eat each other, you become a parasite to that species. Being a parasite causes the other species to take a disadvantage, while granting an advantage to your species.
--
also you can't detonate, its only instead of expanding. Expanding is not something you can do from that tile. Same mistake last turn, so I reverted it abit c:

>>5057913
> "Swamp Fever" -
After years of staying in the swamp, the seed has begun to host many different viruses it got adjusted to, yet predators may suffer by.
IG: On swamp tiles, you get to have the toxic bonus from both the swamp itself and from being in 3 generations gap difference than another predator species.

>>5057219
> “Teeth Machine-Gun” -
Hiding beneath the waves waiting for an ambush - These species use self propellered teeth "machine gun" utilizing teeth held inside the "magazine" organ replacing the missing ones.
IG: if these species camouflage and sensors are higher than another species on their tile, you can spend your main action to “attack” with them, which will eradicate the other species on their tile. Can’t be used in environments they aren’t adapted to.

>>5057340
> “Granite Shell” -
These species use the sticky and thick magma stored in their intestines to sculpture shelters, using their arctic environment to cool them off and turn them to granite shells.
IG: On arctic tiles only, these species are considered “Hardened” which requires predators to have additional digestion point to eat them. In addition, these species gain a thriving advantage on arctic tiles.

> " Augmented Spores" -
Living and thriving among other toxic species, these species have learned to utilize the toxicity of smaller beings and augment it as armor around their body.
IG: If these species share a tile with a smaller and more toxic species that they are able to eat, their effective toxicity is increased by +1. Doesn't stack with the bonus from marshes or from the 3 generation gap.
---

And now ROLLING FOR THE FATE OF THE WORLD
>>
Rolled 3 (1d6)

Rolling to see which crisis its gonna be
--
> Global Crisis events!
I will roll 1d5+X at the end of every turn. If the score would be 5 or above a crisis would happen. X grows by +1 each turn until a crisis happens, then it resets to 0. the game will end at the end of the turn where the 3rd crisis happens.

>1: Volcanic eruption
1d3 random volcanic wasteland tiles erupts, killing everything on it. Species on nearby tiles that are not in ocean, not adapted to volcanic environment and over size 1 will go extinct too.

>2: Solar storm
1d4 random tiles on the northmost and 1d4 tiles on the southmost rows will get Ionized by the solar storm, all none-thriving species on those tiles will die

>3: Tsunami floods
1d4 land tiles adjacent to oceans will become "Shallows", all species on adjacent ocean tiles will automatically migrate into the shallow tile.

>4: Meteor strike
1d10 random tiles will be hit by meteors, killing anything on those tiles. New "Crater" tile will be created as a new subtype biome of the tile it is on, craters can sustain life up to +1 size and allow 2 different species to thrive within. If meteor hits ocean nothing happens, if it hits shallows the species get eradicated but a "crater" wont be created.

> 5: Rise of the Kraken
A "Kraken" species spawn in a random ocean tile. They have the size of 4, and 1d4+1 point in each attribute (rolling 5d4 to check)
They have a trait which allows them to exist self sufficiently in size 4 on water. They eradicate everything they eat, and are eradicated if eaten.
They expand 1 tile in a random direction that has a species on it each turn. They stop expanding when there are 4 Krakens on the map.

> 6: Alien probe
An alien ship probes the planet, and abducts 1 tile with a thriving species from each player. Players get to choose which thriving species they give away.

Smegmo here!

Sensing the impending disaster in their ancestor's ranks, the Enthrallers try to save as much of their species as possible. The top most enthraller passively expanded upwards, into the strait

In the south, the appearance of a strange new form of creature in their glacial sheets has drawn the attention of the bestial Smegmo G2s. They passively expand into the tile containing a Smegmodotr, Smegmo G2 and Quantic Mold to eradicate it from existence.

Rapidly trudging through a blizzard in the southern hemisphere, the equine forms of the Smegmodotr travel far. They expand on the arctic tile two tiles to their right.

The Elder Smegs (Smegmocean G2) grow in numbers, the right-most Smegmocean G2 traveling diagonally down into the tile next to the arctic that contains an Enthraller and a Boogefo

A quiver of psionic potential later created in the Elder Smegs hits a Smegmocean G1 at the world border in the Glacial Sea. It expands straight down, into the arctic tile containing a Smegmo G1
>>
Just realized I made an invalid move. Ignore my Smego G2 movement and my Smegmocean G2 movement. Move the right-most Smegmocean G2 straight down into the arctic to wipe out the quantic mold. Dont worry about Smegmo G2 movement.

IMO it’s majorly unfair to, because you only realised after I pointed it out, and unlike an invalid action, this is a completely valid move that’ll just result in the death of the evo— since you explicitly didn’t evolve to survive in the Arctic, and requested a trait that also has nothing to do with Arctic survival.

And the fact that we had the discussion on attributes and how to get them days ago, so it’s still fresh, and was clarified by GM in no uncertain terms.
