A newly minted trainer and camping enthusiast just starting out on your journey at the age of Seventeen after your father lost his job in order to help pay the bills.Last time, you made it to Lake Clarity after refusing to battle Mike, had a weird dream, discovered Holly was Psychic, encountered Latias, fought off Team Green and caught an Applin.

Kathryn replies, giving you a nod.You continue onward from there. The clouds stick around, but you're confident that today at least, should hold fair, considering Queenie doesn't seem worried. As you make your way along the track, you take some time to just admire the scenery:Lake Clarity is bordered by scrubby bushland, a lot like Route 1, except far lusher. There's a lot of variety in the pokemon you see as well as pokemon from all around make their way to the lake to drink. The path is well maintained, but it looks like it might be a bit of an issue trying to find a campsite later on. The water's deeper along this section of shoreline, so you can't make out any Clauncher now and the trees and brush have thinned out a little on your right. In the trees, you can see a flock of Starly and they fill the air with their warbling cries.>Try and catch a Starly.>Take a mid-morning break and see if you can't catch a Basculin or Magikarp.>Keep walking, but keep looking for more pokemon.>Other

You say. This is a bit of an ask, considering the distance involved and the relative power of Ember, but it should be good training trying to do this.Sage nods, before she starts spitting little flames out at the rocks, casting reflections in the still water, next to you and her both.

>>5121693I was thinking the electric dog thingy but that works too.>>5121486I'm going to raise her in due time... I seem to have an awful lot of luck regarding dragon types for some reason.(if Alex learned the hidden power move it has to be hidden power dragon which also indicates Alex as a genetically perfect specimen as hp dragon requires perfect IVs)
>>5122860>a genetically perfect specimen as hp dragon requires perfect IVsWhat about his siblings
>>5121540>>5121669>>5121693"I'll raise her." You reply, feeling vaguely self-conscious.Even to you, this sounds an awful lot like your brother begging for a pokemon and promising earnestly to take good care of it.With Kay O-o and Applin, you do kind of have an embarrassment of riches going here."Well, you've definitely got the dedication for it." Martha concedes. "Anyway, you done? Dinner's nearly ready." She says.>Yeah, that's enough fishing for tonight.>Just give me a sec. I'll put another line out and be right with you.>Just one more cast.>Other
>>5122903>Just give me a sec. I'll put another line out and be right with you.
>>5122903>Just give me a sec. I'll put another line out and be right with you.Ah, that sweet fishing experience when you drop everything to go check your bipping rod.
>>5122903>Just give me a sec. I'll put another line out and be right with you.I seriously doubt that we can beat a Dratini, but it never hurts to try.
>>5123020>>5123069>>5123072Gimme a roll.
Rolled 54 (1d100)>>5123078
Rolled 97 (1d100)>>5123078We can always get a Mudkip or a Feebas.
Rolled 38 (1d100)>>5123078>>5123186We'll definitely get something good now
>>5123241Like... 2 Mudkips?
>>5123186Febass it is.
Rolled 94 (1d100)>>5123078
>>5124426>>5123186Feebas AND Mudkip! whataday.
>>512442694 would be another Dratini, so... yeah.Long day, so I'mma have to sleep on this one, I think.
>>5124484>Two Dratinis in a rowNow we really need to question Alex and his ability to attract dragon types.
>>5124484It's ok QM. Mastering is hard, go take some sleep.
>>5124486I genuinely don't know what the fuck to do with this information, besides pin at least some of the blame on myself for setting up a bit of confirmation bias in the encounter tables I drew up.
>>5124484>Literally becoming a better Dragon Master than Lance and his clan of retards. LMAO.
>>5123082>>5123186>>5123241"I'll be right there." You assure, before baiting up again and casting out, before hurrying up to join everyone else for dinner."Has it been that eventful this whole time?" Kathryn asks Fie as you all release your teams and start serving up food."Not quite. It's only after we got to Newport that things really started to get stupid." Fie replies. You nod."Yeah, Team Green kind of has a grudge because we stopped them from committing arson against a business." You explain."We also kicked their arses." Fie adds."They certainly don't seem to have taken their terrorism being foiled well." Gareth agrees. "Thinking Alex was the weak link in our group though...""Yeah, but they're not especially bright." Fie notes.>That's for sure. Still, there seem to be an awful lot of them.>I wonder what they think they're going to accomplish?>They're just thugs. We'll deal with them if we have to, but let's not let them ruin this, eh?>Other
>>5125408>That's for sure. Still, there seem to be an awful lot of themPretty sure they are just useful idiots to some influential figure trying to achieve something while staying hidden.Going by their behavior likely a Team Plasma remant or someone imitating them.
>>5125408>I wonder what they think they're going to accomplish?I want to know who they work for/is funding them.
>>5125408>That's for sure. Still, there seem to be an awful lot of them.
>>5125652>>5125722>>5125790>>5125660>>5125683"That's for sure." You agree. "Still, there seem to be an awful lot of them." You note. "I wonder what they think they're accomplishing?""Something, something, 'fight the system', something, something, 'pokemon don't fight in the wild', something, something, 'we're not the bad guys'." Martha said derisively."Sounds about right." Fie agrees. You leave the subject there and just focus on your meal for a while, before Judy perks up."So, anyone up for a game or something after dinner?" She asks. You can see her smiling across the fire. It might just be your imagination, but there's at least some mischief in there."Like what?" Gareth asks curiously."Oh, you know... spin the bottle, truth or dare. That sort of thing." She replies airily.>No alcohol.>Sure. Why not?>Not tonight.>I was thinking I might do some more training or just play with my team.>How about stories?>...I'm going to go check my line.>Other
>>5127136>...I'm going to go check my line.
>>5127136>>...I'm going to go check my line.We have a double crit and I want my mudkip.
>>5127136>Sure. Why not?
>>5127253>>5127370>>5127417Huh. Maybe Fie wasn't joking when she made that comment about Judy after that round of Seven Minutes in Heaven."...I'm going to go check my line." You say. It's been twenty minutes and the sun is basically down, so the fish should be really active by now."Sure, don't take too long." Fie advises as the others start discussing the merits of various games and whether or not to play them. When you get to the shore though, your rod is gone. Or, not gone, but it is stuck a fair way out into the water on a fallen log and something is splashing madly on the line.>Go out and retrieve the rod.>See if Queenie can retrieve the rod.>Go ask one of the others for help.>Other.
>>5127528>>Go out and retrieve the rod.Queenie won't have strength to get it, and might displace it.So let's get our clothes out, our feet wet, and catch that glorious pokemon.
>>5127528>Go out and retrieve the rod.
>>5127528>Go out and retrieve the rod.ERE WE GO!
Rolled 88 (1d100)>>5127531>>5127659>>5127664>>5127792>>5128613You sigh as you take off your shoes, socks and pants, before, after a moment's thought, you go and grab your towel from your bag. Then, with a grimace, you wade out into the cold water and out to the snag the rod is caught on and, with some effort, dislodge it as whatever is caught, continues to thrash madly.>Roll.

Rolled 55 (1d100)>>5128741
>>5128773>>5128782>>5128816You're jolted forward and slip as whatever is hooked pulls you forward. You bash your head on the log as you're dragged under the water. You're about to black out when you feel yourself being lifted. As you fall unconscious, you make out a pair of glowing yellow eyes.***To be continued next thread.
