There wasn't much of a reason not to test the armor out immediately was there? While it was somewhat important that Lelouch get to test his own armor too, it was better for you, as the designer, to give the armor the first proper test run. Having Lelouch test it was important in that you'd be able to determine just how ergonomic the design actually was... while you had tried to make the armor relatively simple to operate when it came to the additional functions, there was always the chance that you had a creator's bias towards it. Of course something that you created yourself would be easy for you to operate, so it was somewhat flawed as a test in that regard.

Finally, you entered your armor, a thankfully quick process in no small part thanks to the myriad hydraulic systems that the armor had been fit with, it opened from the back in order to allow quick entry and exit, and in order to not compromise the hydraulic systems that powered the strength and speed of the suit. While it wasn't altogether that strong, while wearing it you were still more physically powerful than you would normally be, just as a result of the suit's hydraulic systems. While you wouldn't be busting through any concrete walls any time soon, a punch from you in the suit would definitely be enough to break bone. "Alright, CC. I'll be back shortly." You called out to the girl who was watching you put the armor on, while you would've normally offered her the opportunity to watch a test, you weren't exactly going to be staying in place for very long, and she would just be left standing there with nothing to do.

"Alright, try not to be caught though... who knows what sort of impact that it might have if the Britannians were to find out about a brand new weapon like a powered suit for individual personnel being tested." She was right, of course, you couldn't really afford being seen by anybody at school wearing the suit, even if nobody knew it was you, reports of your appearance could easily allow the Britannians to triangulate your location, especially once you went public with your terrorist persona along with Lelouch.
>>
"Thanks, I'll try not to let anybody nearby see me." You nodded at CC, before you grabbed a long brown hooded cloak... it looked somewhat suspicious, but nowhere near as strange as you would've looked if you hadn't been wearing anything to attempt to disguise yourself in the armor. If you had your base of operations discovered, there wasn't much of a point having armor that was designed for escape if you removed any place for you to escape to. Especially if you were to be caught before forging a proper alliance with the terrorist factions of Japan, at least once you made proper contact with them you would have a proper network backing you up. You might've been able to get Clovis to send you a great deal of high-tech military surplus, but that wasn't exactly sustainable, especially not now that he was being replaced as the Viceroy of Area 11 by your sisters... and even if Euphy wasn't very good at dealing with conflicts like terrorism in terms of defense and military engagements, she had Cornelia with her to ensure that in the future, terrorist attacks would not go nearly as smoothly. Honestly, had Cornelia been in charge of Area 11 instead of Clovis, the uprisings would've all been stomped out nearly as quickly as they rose up, you really did have Clovis' incompetence to thank for allowing you to reach this point. Britannia's weakness is its size, and for the fact that for every competent leader, there were 4 more incompetent sycophants. Of course, not every Viceroy surrounded themselves with yes-men, and there was always the potential that even somebody as incompetent as Clovis could accidentally find somebody actually competent in their employ.

Finally, after taking a look at yourself in a mirror, to ensure that you didn't look too suspicious, you departed from your workshop. You had already noted that the automatic calibration systems installed in the armor seemed to be functioning perfectly, as you weren't restricted in your movement by the advanced hydraulics whatsoever, and the suit moved with you without flaw. It was crucial that you got that right, otherwise you would've only succeeded in breaking a multitude of your bones and potentially dying. Fortunately, you'd gone through quite a few test runs with them before putting the entire suit together, so you were almost certain that you wouldn't end up snapping your own spine or something equally deadly.

You quickly approached the tall fence that cordoned the academy off from the rest of the city, easily scaling the ten meter tall fence by climbing it, the adhesion of the gauntlets was working well, and while you could've tried to jump the fence, it would've been way more noticeable to any unwanted observers that there was more to you than met the eye.
>>
Fortunately, you didn't see anybody nearby after scaling the fence, so you hopped down and went for a quick jog, easily reaching the fifty kilometers per hour that you had predicted you would be able to reach as you climbed a nearby building and begun to leap from rooftop to rooftop with ease, your ability to move was almost unparalleled, and you doubted that even the vast majority of Knightmare Frames could catch you thanks to a combination of your speed and maneuverability, most pilots weren't even close to skilled enough to pursue somebody across rooftops, especially not considering that their weight meant that some rooftops would simply collapse underneath them! This sort of armor... if you managed to mass produce it and supply it to the terrorist factions of the country... might bring a change in the direction of their rebellion all by itself. It would be enough to turn a single infantry unit into a potential anti-Knightmare Frame weapon all by themselves... of course, that also meant that you'd have to develop anti-Knightmare Frame weaponry to use with the armor, but it was really the logical evolution to the bulky Knightmare Frame when it came to combat. Not in terms of being a heavy weapons platform, of course, as no matter what you did, you wouldn't be capable of surpassing the amount of firepower that a well equipped Knightmare Frame was capable of handling, but there was a reason that Knightmare Frames replaced tanks and other land vehicles as the de-facto kings of the battlefield and that was their increased speed and maneuverability, something that the armor you had developed had in spades.
>>
Of course, just because your armor had the potential to be immensely effective as a weapon... didn't actually mean it would be. There were still a multitude of reasons that somebody might choose a Knightmare Frame over a personal powered suit, the larger size of the Knightmare Frame meant higher caliber weaponry, thicker armor, larger engine sizes, max speed... it was a matter of capacity, and of course a suit that was meant to be worn as a suit of armor was going to lose out to something that could fit dozens of times more mass on it... still, you imagined that the two would likely co-exist in unison with one another if you decided to focus your efforts towards the construction of more powered suits like this. It really depended on just how effective they turned out to be... at the very least, you'd probably end up creating a set of armor to be worn by any ally who you actually trusted and didn't want to be captured, even if they primarily piloted a Knightmare Frame... but just whether or not you'd end up trusting anybody enough to bother with such an endeavor was a question for the future, and allowing the armor to fall into the hands of the Britannians would be a disaster. While you were confident of your own genius, you weren't under the illusion that your work was of such a high quality that it would be impossible for others who excelled in the field of engineering to replicate it if they had something to work off of.

Satisfied in testing the basic functions of the armor, you decided that it was about time for you to test out your additional features, namely, the jump jets that could be used to launch yourself up into the air, while you could use them for an extended period of time, the technology simply wasn't there to allow for you to achieve stable flight, and extended use would quickly end up with you losing control of yourself and crashing, though the short period of time that you could remain stable in the air for allowed you to easily leap high into the air. Of course, you could potentially even use them to temporarily increase your speed on the ground too, but... that was even more dangerous than trying to use the feet mounted thrusters to fly, they weren't designed for that at all!

Still, they performed admirably when you used them to leap across rooftops separated by a large street, though you... didn't quite stick the landing, crashing onto the rooftop in a heap... "Impact-dampeners... functioning well... gotta get more practice with jumping..." Fortunately, you'd taken potential crashes in mind, especially slower ones, most of your velocity had already dissipated by the time you crashed, so you weren't injured. You imagined that you would've had more luck if you used your Geass in order to enhance your control over the suit... but that was both cheating and it defeated the entire point of the test run!
>>
Getting up from the pile you found yourself in, you pointed your left hand towards the other side of the street and fired the grappling hook, clenching your fist twice in order to activate it, the advanced hook pierced into the concrete of a nearby building before affixing itself in place... in a pinch it could be used as a one use projectile weapon that could puncture through a hostile... but there was a chance the hook could get stuck inside them, and that could end very poorly if you tried retracting the hook.

Testing the strength of the wire by pulling on it, you were satisfied that it would hold your weight... but you felt no need to fly across the street once again, and you simply retracted the wire back into the suit after securing yourself in place so you didn't accidentally drag yourself off the building, the retraction had a bit of a kick to it considering that it was supposed to be powerful enough to drag you towards the hook.

Now that you'd tested all of your suit's functions though, you'd determined that everything was functioning properly... which led you into a question... how exactly were you going to go about things now? You needed to get Lelouch his own suit, as well as meet up with him, but how?

We really need to get around to decoding that flash drive and creating a starting package for our new knightmare. Right now both of those things are time sensitive.

Right now they're swinging in the dark. On top of the knightmare being there so they can be used to rebel but it doesn't have the security package.

You momentarily exited your armor and pulled out your mobile phone, you might as well get things sorted out immediately, you had no reason to even believe that the Britannians would be monitoring the mobile networks right now, especially not for messages between Britannian highschoolers, anyway... it was a risk using their networks to communicate on, but you doubted you had much to fear unless you made your text to Lelouch super obvious that there was something going on... and that was only if you were actually being actively monitored, anyway. Britannian cyber-security wasn't exactly very good, at least not in Area 11, something else you had to thank Clovis for. Then again, not many of your siblings understood just how terrifyingly powerful that technology could be when it came to running a dictatorship that was impossible to rebel against, creating profiles of every single citizen, monitoring absolutely everyone for any suspicious behavior and targeting them would swiftly bring an end to any guerrilla warfare that might be attempted. Technological surveillance only gets more and more powerful with the usage of security cameras with facial recognition, mobile phones with the ability to listen in on conversation... you were fortunate that everyone was more focused on the comparatively childish pursuit of creating more effective weaponry. Of course, it's not a surprise that weaponry was a priority over surveillance at this point. A terrorist movement was an inconvenience that was assumed to be something that would eventually just get stamped out over time, but the Britannian Empire had both the Chinese and the Europians to worry about, so they really couldn't afford to fall behind a generation when it came to Knightmare Frame technology. It was of course tremendously difficult for an older generation Knightmare Frame to pose a threat to the current generation unless the pilot was either exceptionally skilled, or it had been upgraded to compete with the current generation's capabilities...
>>
You frowned as you realized you had gotten distracted by your own thoughts, what had started as a simple thought about the danger of mass surveillance had spiraled into thoughts about Britannia's priorities when it came to technological development. It was of course fortunate to you, at least for now, that the world had effectively split into 3 superpowers that were each capable of keeping each other in check, to at least some degree. Even in the case that one of the 3 started to win out against another, it was only logical that the third uninvolved party would end up intervening on the losing side, causing the attacker to withdraw... fortunate for you at least. Global Britannian Domination right now was pretty much the last thing that you needed, if they no longer had to focus on the enemy outside their borders, they'd soon begin to focus on dealing with the enemy within, and any and all terrorist cells, no matter which one, would soon find themselves crushed by the Britannians.
>>
Flipping up the screen of your flip-phone, and being momentarily annoyed by the lack of progress with civilian technology compared to the developments you knew that the military had themselves made, you started to use the number pad to type out a message to Lelouch. 'Meet me in 40 minutes... back of Pizza Hut downtown, important!' The message was short but got the message across well. You knew that Lelouch was smart enough to know what you meant, even if he had a bad tendency to sometimes overlook the obvious solution to something through overthinking it and playing into the hands of his enemy... though his enemy would need to be tremendously well informed on just how Lelouch himself thinks, to the point where really the only people you knew who could probably manage to outplay Lelouch in such a manner could be counted on one hand, the first was of course yourself, the second was Schneizel, obviously... the third was none other than your father, callous and cold he might be, but the man is by no means a fool. The fourth was Euphemia, but... that was a little more shaky, when it came to military strategy, no matter how well Euphemia might know Lelouch, there was no chance of her overcoming him, but when it came to actually winning the hearts and minds of a population, then Lelouch really wouldn't be able to compete... which is why her imminent appointment as the Viceroy of Area 11 was such a danger to the successful creation of a terrorist cell. Your only advantage was that you were starting from a position in which the population of Japan truly reviled their Britannian occupiers, the constant idiotic choices and actions taken by Clovis' administration would not be forgotten or forgiven by the populace for a long time. As for the fifth... you didn't really know if there was a fifth person who was able to outsmart Lelouch by using his own way of thinking against him. You supposed that Nunally would probably be able to do it, but... that didn't exactly feel like a fair comparison, considering that Lelouch would almost certainly just end up giving up if Nunally was truly opposed to him.
>>
You continued thinking about the people you'd have to watch out for as you waited for Lelouch to respond, you had yet to mention Cornelia as somebody you thought would be able to outsmart Lelouch because in truth, you didn't think that she could... not through knowing how Lelouch thinks anyway, she was the most talented military commander among all of your siblings, so it was obvious that in a theoretically completely even battle she'd end up defeating Lelouch and his forces every time, but... Lelouch ought to be well aware of that, and he wouldn't deliberately engage Cornelia or her forces unless he was absolutely certain he had an overwhelming advantage that could be used against her... that was one of Cornelia's problems... she was too honorable when it came to battle, and wouldn't resort to underhanded tactics like Lelouch almost certainly would, though depending on your own point of view, it wasn't really a problem. 'Understood' Eventually, the response came through and you nodded. Quickly making your way back to the school's outer fence after receiving Lelouch's confirmation... though you didn't quite want to head back into the school wearing the armor considering that you really didn't want your activities becoming known, so... you had an idea...
>>
Entering an alleyway and exiting your armor once again, you changed the contact on your phone really quick to Milly and sent her a quick text. 'Could you pls go to my workshop and have CC meet me outside the east fence? Tell her bring the thing I made.' Now there was no need to re-enter the school wearing the armor any more than you had to. CC would probably have to wear the armor to get it out of the school easily, but that wasn't too much of a problem. It's not like you designed the armor so that only Lelouch could wear it... though in the future, introducing some sort of countermeasures so that only authorized people could operate it might be a good idea. You had even included his far less effective choice of helmet in the design, as well as his ridiculous cape. Of course, you'd upgraded his original design somewhat, changing his helmet so that he'd have something resembling a Heads-Up Display... of course, it was fairly undeveloped right now, but after a few upgrades, you'd be able to get it so that it could interface with basically anything you wanted it to... you were a little rushed in the creation of the armor so you had to cut corners in some places, but the operating system and internal electronic additional features weren't exactly crucial... though you did wish that you'd created your own suit with the ability to actually make phone calls or send text messages without needing to leave the armor... or at least a pocket so you didn't need to leave the suit whenever you wanted to use your phone... an easy modification to make, but far from crucial... you'd already potentially revolutionized warfare in a day of development, so some flaws in the first models were to be expected... of course, you still needed to see if MERLIN was going to work... it would definitely need at least some work before being operational, but... the idea of an Artificial Intelligence providing support was one you enjoyed indeed. MERLIN if it worked as it was supposed to would definitely end up being a game-changer... though you did still need to get it working... the power drain alone from giving MERLIN anywhere near the level of processing power it would be optimal under was enough to power an entire city block... you might actually end up needing to create a personal Sakuradite reactor just to keep MERLIN operating. But that could wait until the AI was up and running... you didn't even know if it would even work.
>>
Your phone buzzed as you saw the positive response from Milly, and you smiled. Putting your phone back in your pocket and getting back into the armor as you waited for CC to arrive, you wondered what the immortal girl would end up making of your invention, she had been watching you for at least a part of the development, even if your tendency to hyperfocus on your projects made you ignore her presence to some degree... you hoped that she didn't mind that you had a bad tendency to focus as hard as you did. It was a bad habit in that it could very well end up harmful to your health if you went too long without focusing on your own needs... but at the same time, it in combination with your natural affinity for technology allowed you to do stuff in a day that teams of people would require weeks or months to do... a fair trade, if you were being honest.

You waited about 10 minutes before CC finally arrived, standing atop the school fence for a moment, it didn't really take her that long to get to you, considering that she needed to get the message through Milly, but when you're on a pre-set time limit, any amount of time felt far longer. You waved to her, and quickly got her attention, causing her to jump down to you, doing a backflip in the air as she did... was she really just showing off for the sake of it? You also kind of hated the fact that you felt like the completely useless cape that Lelouch wanted on his armor actually looked cool... you weren't jealous.

"You did a good job creating this armor, Bastian... when can I expect my set?" The girl asked you coolly through the digitized voice changer of the armor... that was something you knew was absolutely crucial to the armor design, you'd never be able to have any sort of false identity if you sounded exactly like you did normally, you'd have to be a total idiot to think that... did Lelouch just intend never to speak whatsoever with his original design? How was he planning to hide his true identity? The voice masking effect of the armor was good enough that it didn't sound too unnatural though, and you could still determine that CC was obviously female through it.

"Do you really need a set of armor, CC? Aren't you... well, immortal?" It sounded like an odd thing for her to request, why could she want armor if she was an actual immortal? Your tech was impressive, sure, but... it wasn't actual magic like Geass or her own immortality. Of course, it was your personal belief that magic was simply science that had yet to be properly documented and studied.
>>
"That doesn't mean I enjoy being shot at." She then started fiddling with the arm that had the attached hook. "Besides, you didn't design this armor for protectiveness anyway, it was made for mobility, right? I have... something of a vested interest in staying out of the clutches of Britannia, for... obvious reasons." You didn't know exactly what Britannia had done to CC when she was their captive, but you couldn't imagine that it was anything pleasant at all.

"Ah, right... sorry, I forgot myself." You apologized to the girl, but she shook her head.

"Don't worry. I don't mind... you can make it up to me by making me a suit like this one." Looks like CC really liked the suit, well... you were glad that you already had one person's approval as to the effectiveness of your creation. Of course, you didn't need the praise, but it still felt good to be recognized for your genius, call it pride or vainglory, but even you weren't immune to being praised... especially when the praise came from somebody you truly respected like CC. It was difficult not to respect her to at least some degree considering she saved your life, a debt that you quite literally could never truly repay... considering that you'd never be able to save her life on account of her being... well immortal.

"Fine, but I'll need to sleep before I create any more miracle suits of armor, alright?" You really did need to have a good long rest after all that you'd already done, but there would be time for rest when your business for the day was over. You needed to go meet up with terrorists in order to create a proper working relationship with them... or in the best case scenario, make them subservient to you... you'd leave the talking to Lelouch for that, he's the one with prior experience in dealing with them as a fellow terrorist.

"I didn't expect you to make it immediately, Bastian... or should I call you Omega when we're like this?" CC seemed to remember that prioritizing operational security for this was absolutely crucial. She'd already made a blunder earlier, but you hadn't even picked up on it, fortunately for you, there was nobody around to overhear it.
>>
"That would probably be for the best, as of right now, in this suit of armor, I'm Omega. I don't want my civilian identity leaking out, even if I've taken measures to hide my identity... unlike somebody, either of my sisters would be able to recognize me in a heartbeat, I'm sure of that." You knew that keeping your identity a secret was easily the most important objective of all, other than not being killed, anyway. So long as the terrorist known as Omega was never connected to Bastian Ashford, then you'd always be able to continue working against the shadows lurking within Britannia. In truth it was a bit of a risk, creating a whole new terrorist persona, but... you didn't really have much of a choice in the matter, if you wanted power, and you wanted to actually be able to take a stand against the Britannians, you needed manpower and resources, and there was only so much of that you could amass by working nearly independently. What you needed was a group of people who shared the same goals as you, or at least similar goals... that was why in many ways, you had truly been relieved to find Lelouch not only alive and well, but more than happy and willing to work against the Britannians with you, though he was obviously working off of a more personal level than you were, you were able to keep that from interfering too much... you didn't want to imagine what might've ended up happening to Clovis had you not been around to defuse the situation somewhat. Lelouch was a genius... but he could act far too irrationally when he was emotionally compromised, and there was a chance that he could've actually ended up killing Clovis. In fact, he may well have been planning on doing that had you not met up with him and reminded him who the actual enemies were, and that it couldn't have possibly been Clovis who was behind the death of Marianne.

"Alright then Omega, where are we heading?" CC asked, clearly curious at to what the current objective was, though she had already figured out that you planned on giving the armor to Lelouch. You really didn't know what CC's true agenda was, you felt like you could trust her and that she only had the best of intentions for both you and Lelouch, but at the same time, not knowing what those intentions were made you feel a little bit nervous around her regardless. Of course, finding yourself nervous around somebody who had literally hundreds of years more life experience than you was only natural.
>>
"To Pizza Hut... that's where we're meant to be meeting up with... Zero... oh right, that's your code name, at least while you're wearing that armor, anyway." That was the code name Lelouch had chosen for himself, and... while you thought that it sounded a little overly dramatic at the start, considering that you named yourself 'Omega' you didn't really have any room to judge. You were both just fortunate enough that the armor you created was impressive enough that you could get away with giving yourself such names without it looking like two foolish teenagers attempting to sound cool. Honestly, the fact that you were planning on meeting Lelouch behind a Pizza Hut in the first place showed you just how much you needed the support that could only be offered by a group like the terrorists you were meeting later today. An isolated safe-house was a far better place to coordinate actions against the government than an alleyway behind a fast food joint.

"Pizza Hut...?" CC echoed your voice, before nodding. "Alright, lead the way." You nodded back at her before turning around and taking to the rooftops once again, the power and mobility of your suit was truly liberating, and... you really didn't know how you felt about the idea of being caught without the powered armor in the future now that you'd experienced just how effective it was. You could make you way across the city faster than any car or larger vehicle could aside from flying vehicles simply thanks to the incredible agility and maneuverability offered, you could take routes that Knightmare Frames couldn't without being at a hazard of falling through a roof or something. Every minute that you spent using the armor made you more confident in how it will actually deal with an active combat encounter. Even if it didn't' have much in the way of on-board weaponry, it's not like it really needed it, after all it's not like you couldn't just pick up a rifle. Of course, the true power of the armor laid in the fact that it was far less expensive to produce than a Knightmare Frame was, just in terms of materials used, and an actual army of soldiers wearing armor that increased their mobility to such unparalleled levels would represent a nightmare that the Britannians had no solution for. Knightmare Frames were usually created for the sake of fighting against other Knightmare Frames, and not soldiers equipped with Anti-Knightmare Frame weaponry... your invention may actually end up spelling an end for Knightmare Frame domination, at least with the current generation's capabilities, anyway.
>>
The two of you quickly made your way through the streets of the city, leaping from rooftop to rooftop with ease, you made sure not to make the same mistakes you made the first time you attempted such a leap, though CC had no problems whatsoever from the very start, you were almost jealous of the apparent athleticism and acrobatic ability of the girl, but you supposed it was only to be expected seeing as she was actually immortal, you wondered just how many things that CC had learned to do over however long she had lived for. Though it was clear that she had at least a good deal of acrobatic knowledge, considering how she was able to flip through the air as if it were totally natural for her to do so.

Eventually, you found yourself at your destination, you had no idea why you ended up choosing Pizza Hut as your destination for the meeting, but... well you supposed it didn't really matter, nobody could possibly predict what you were up to, even Schneizel would be baffled at the idea of what may well end up being something like a super-weapon for the impact it would have on the battlefield changing hands behind a pizza joint. You felt kind of bad about how effective your design was really, but at the same time, the very fact that nobody designing a Knightmare Frame thought of maybe making the vehicles smaller and less expensive was actually kind of baffling. The technology for it existed, you had just proven it, so... why the hell was everyone obsessed with Knightmare Frames anyway? Of course, small arms capable of taking down Knightmare Frames didn't really exist right now either, so it might've just been the case that nobody was willing to spend the time and resources it would take to not only develop infantry sized power armored units but also develop weaponry that could be used by said infantry in order to disable Knightmare Frames. Bureaucracy, corruption and stubborn pride had managed to blind them to the obvious evolution of large humanoid suits of armor. Of course, there were always going to be things Knightmare Frames could do that smaller infantry units weren't capable of, but the very fact that nobody had even ever tried to miniaturize their technology was just confusing to you.
>>
You sat around awkwardly behind a dumpster with CC for about ten minutes, not really able to continue a discussion with her considering your relative proximity to the street. You wouldn't want a random passerby to get curious about what was going on and try to listen in, and while they were relatively infrequent, it wasn't uncommon to see Britannian soldiers patrolling in the city, and they'd definitely want to investigate... so you simply waited... fortunately, Lelouch had managed to be perfectly on time, and you soon saw the familiar silhouette of your half brother strolling into the alleyway quietly. You stepped out from behind your cover and nearly made him jump out of his skin at your appearance, though he quickly recovered... wow, scaring Lelouch? That wasn't something that happened very often. "Ah, so you managed to get your armor finished after all. My set is..." He paused as CC got up to stand next to you, before she quickly exited the suit of armor. "Excellent, I take it that it works well then?"

"It's within all operating parameters, yes. But if you want the specifics of the model, it can..." You spoke for some time with Lelouch about the capabilities of your suit, going over the protection level it granted as well as the max speed and jump height that the suit was capable of, clearly surprising Lelouch with just how effective that the armor you had managed to produce was, especially given the tremendously rushed schedule that you created it from, some students would fail to complete a relatively basic assignment in the time you had managed to create two prototype suits that if mass produced could end up creating a potentially unstoppable army.

"Fantastic." Lelouch got into the armor after you gave him a quick rundown on what it was capable of and the basic functions of it. "Are you ready to go and meet the terrorists then?" Lelouch experimented with the movement of the armor for a moment, the capabilities of the armor would also help cover for a major weakness of his, namely his awful stamina and physical ability.

>"Right. It's better if we both go to talk."
>"Actually, I think it might be better if I observed from a distance while you negotiate."

Buy pizza for CC, and consider brinking Pizza for the terrorists. You can't fight against an oppressive regime on an empty stomach.

Let Lelouch take the lead and bring the mc in later. It'll layoff by giving the mc more time for projects because Lulu will be seen as the head.

"Right, it's better if we both go and talk." Even though you didn't really want to go and communicate with the terrorists yourself, and you'd rather leave things to Lelouch... it was probably for the best that you went to see them personally as well. You didn't doubt Lelouch's ability to get them on side and working for you, but at the same time you also wanted to examine their capabilities yourself, they had almost managed to defeat the Britannians in a skirmish, which was pretty incredible going for a terrorist cell. Of course, whether that was down to extreme competence or simply luck, it remained to be seen. "I want to see just what sort of caliber of soldier that we'll have working with us." Of course, it was really only thanks to the input of you and Lelouch that they didn't end up getting wiped out completely... even so with some better tech on their sides, you didn't think it would be that difficult to at least overcome smaller groups of Britannians. A pitched battle commanded by Cornelia however... that wasn't really something that you wanted to engage in.

"Well, they follow orders well enough, even when those orders are coming from a mysterious radio source... it's safe to say that they're actually somewhat disorganized in their command structure... in fact, the man who is ostensibly in charge of their group doesn't seem to be much for command himself... he did allow me to take complete control of the battle back during Clovis' attempted purge on the Shinjuku Ghetto." Lelouch gestured a little over-dramatically now that he had gotten into his armor, and you were kind of hoping that he wasn't going to make a habit of using your armor to act so theatrically. He was wearing what might just be one of the most advanced suits of personal armor that had ever been created after all.

However, the fact that the leader of the terrorist cell seemed to be a pushover in some ways was actually excellent news for you and Lelouch. "Great, that just means that it'll be easier to control them, no? I don't exactly want to have to deal with a power struggle against the terrorists, so if their leader is already easy to manipulate... well it'd better it be us who manipulate him instead of somebody else, right?" It was a rather Machiavellian way of thinking about things, but you were about to meet up with a group of terrorists in order to forge an alliance with them that would allow you to eventually uncover what exactly it was that Britannia was hiding, so you couldn't afford to be nice about things.
>>
"Indeed, I believe that their current leader must've been thrust into the role... I can only imagine that their previous leader was killed in action somehow so now the second-in-command has been forced to fulfill the role he once had... from his limited communications, I can tell he's not the sort of man who could possibly form a group by himself... he has very little charisma, and it seems like the rest of the group only follow him out of a sense of loyalty to their cause... though as a Knightmare Frame pilot, he didn't seem to be too terrible, likely the second best in their group." Lelouch shrugged, giving his assessment of the situation honestly. He'd never been very good at commanding a Knightmare Frame himself, so you didn't really know if you could even trust that assessment... though he had likely just been basing it off of their proven effectiveness. Of course, you weren't exactly what you'd call a fantastic pilot either, at least not when you weren't using your Geass, which changed things a great deal.

"Well then, what are the two of you waiting for? I'm going to go and get something to eat... but I don't think the two of you should come in... especially not looking like that." CC looked at the two of you with a smile, and you agreed with her in part, you couldn't just go wandering around wearing your armor without drawing both attention and suspicion. But even so...

"Are you... sure that's a good idea CC? Don't you have people still pursuing you? Is it safe for you to just wander around without any sort of protection?" You were a little worried about CC just wandering around without any sort of protection considering just who was after her, but at the same time, it wasn't that much of a risk, she was clearly somebody who was capable enough to evade capture without needing your help or the help of whatever equipment you could make for her... of course you'd be a lot more comfortable with her wandering around if she had the same armor you had made for yourself and Lelouch... but you supposed that was just a project for a later date. Now that you actually had the design in your head, it wouldn't take that long for you to set up a factory production line for copies of it... of course any mass produced models would be less effective than something you crafted by hand, but... they'd still make whatever infantry you ended up fielding far, far more effective than their Britannian Counterparts. Mobility was king on a battlefield, and Knightmare Frames were something of a large target... perhaps if you created some Anti-Armor missile launchers? Whatever the case may be, the current model of Knightmare Frames doesn't have any sort of real countermeasure against guided missile strikes.
>>
CC just shrugged nonchalantly. "Safe enough, and with the current instability in the government that is being sorted through thanks to Clovis' removal, I highly doubt I have anything to worry about. The benefits of my existence being kept a secret from even the most senior members of the Britannian ruling class and military is that my presence is actually somewhat difficult for them to track." That was a fair enough argument, and so long as she was confident in her ability to keep herself safe, you weren't going to push the issue.

"Alright, but... if anything comes up, don't hesitate to get in touch, alright?" Another reminder that you needed to upgrade the armor when you got back so that it could send and receive messages to mobile phones, right now you'd only equipped the armor with radio communications, good for combat scenarios... less useful for getting in contact with people using commercial mobile towers. With that, you watched as CC left the alleyway, before you turned back to Lelouch. "Alright, lead the way Lelouch..." Lelouch nodded at you quickly before he stumbled a little, not completely familiar with movement in the suit yet, though it didn't take him long to get used to it and start to scale up the side of a wall.

You quickly followed your half-brother and the two of you were soon standing on top of the pizza restaurant. "I'm amazed at just how quickly you managed to create this suit, Omega." He looked at the back of his hand, clearly examining the grappling hook. "How did you end up designing something this amazing so quickly, anyway?"

"I already had a prototype design for something similar that I've been tinkering with for months, all I really needed was the push to focus totally on creating it." You admitted, of course your original design had been significantly less advanced, though you created your original design under the impression that you wouldn't have just been able to get your hands on whatever military grade parts you wanted whenever you wanted them. "But yeah, it... wasn't easy to get it finished in time for today." What you had managed to do was nothing short of a technological miracle, you were fortunate that nothing seemed to be wrong with the design either... in truth the armor hadn't had nearly the amount of quality assurance tests you'd have liked to perform on it, but it seemed to perform as designed, at least right now anyway.
>>
"Well, I'm glad that you managed it, with both of us showing up wearing this armor, I'm certain that the terrorists will be far more willing to listen to whatever it is that we have to say to them. Anyway... follow me, the warehouse we're meant to be meeting their leader in isn't too far from here." Lelouch started to quickly move towards his destination and you easily followed, it was obvious even from how he was moving inside the suit that Lelouch wasn't athletic, fortunately the armor was able to take most of the effort of moving, so it was pretty much impossible to tire yourself out while wearing it. You easily kept pace with him regardless anyway, he just didn't appear able to bring the full potential of the armor out... he really needed to work-out more.

It took the two of you about five minutes to get to the warehouse that the meeting had been arranged to take place at, and though it looked shut up and abandoned, Lelouch was certain that this was the place. "So, how exactly are you planning on getting us in, Zero? The place seems pretty tightly locked up to me." The doors were boarded and there was no clear access point that would let you get into the warehouse, if this was really the terrorist's hideout, they clearly had another way of getting inside.

"They informed me that I was to contact them when I arrived in order to await somebody to let us enter, but..." He pointed to a smashed window close to the top of the warehouse. "I don't really feel like waiting to get inside." He leaped upwards, clearing the distance to the window frame and catching the edge easily before pulling himself up and climbing on through. Normally without wearing the suit you actually somehow doubted that Lelouch even had the strength in his body to support his own weight, never mind pull himself up so easily like that.

Even so, you made the jump with even more ease than Lelouch, instead of needing to grab onto the ledge of the window, you just made it all the way through and onto a catwalk that was suspended above a small group of people... closer inspection allowed you to recognize one of them as Kallen, she had her arms crossed as she looked at another man... they were all wearing red headbands, must've been their way to identify each other. The man Kallen was looking at was obviously the leader of the group, but were they really just standing around waiting for you to show up?

"Are you really sure that he's going to show up, Kallen?" The leader asked as he looked at his watch. You were actually right on time, but they were clearly worried about this being a trap, of course it did sound too good to be true, so you couldn't blame the man for being at least somewhat cautious about the situation.
>>
"I'm certain that Zero is going to show himself, Ohgi. What sort of man helps to destroy so many Britannian units and then bails out of a meeting he requested? If you weren't so paranoid about this being some sort of trap set for us, I wouldn't have had to tell Zero to wait outside before contacting us." Honestly, even if they did think that this meeting was some sort of set-up, the fact remained that they actually lured you right to them anyway.

"What sort of man indeed?" Lelouch suddenly spoke out, loudly alerting the people below to his presence before he dropped down to the floor, his cape billowing out behind him as he hit the ground, he was incredibly lucky that you put impact dampeners in the armor. "I promised I would arrive to discuss an alliance, and I have." You followed Lelouch after a few seconds had passed, jumping down to stand by his side. "As you may already be aware, I am Zero." Lelouch suddenly gestured to you. "However, this is my comrade and fellow conspirator, Omega." You remained silent and simply crossed your arms.

"Neat suit." Kallen quickly observed the fact that you and Lelouch had both jumped from great heights without sustaining any sort of damage. "What even is that armor? Some sort of stolen prototype? Or are we receiving more backing for our movement than I was aware of?"

"Both are prototypes. Of my own design." You answered this time. "It's a suit of powered mobility armor, the suit allows for moderate protection from small arms in addition to enhanced strength and massively enhanced speed. But that's not what we're here to talk about, Zero, if you would?"

"Of course." Lelouch took a step forward to take back control of the conversation. "During the attack on the Shinjuku Ghetto, I made first contact with your forces, and through my assistance, you managed to temporarily beat back the Britannian forces and nearly secure victory..." Lelouch started things off by reminding the group just how much his assistance had helped them.

"That's right, or at least up until that blasted new Britannian Knightmare Frame showed up." Ohgi confirmed Lelouch's statement quickly.

"Indeed. Unfortunately, they were hiding a trump card that I was unable to plan for, a next generation Knightmare Frame with an incredibly talented pilot to boot. Thanks to that trump card, Omega and I... we were forced to reveal our own in order to infiltrate the Britannian Mobile Command Center that was overseeing their operation." Lelouch was actually talking about your Geass abilities, but it was easy for them to believe that he was simply talking about your armor. "We ended up holding Prince Clovis hostage and had him order the attack off.

"You two had the Viceroy hostage and you didn't blast the bastard away?! What the hell is wrong with you?" One of the other people standing around the warehouse suddenly pointed at the two of you, and you turned to look at the man.
>>
"It was a simple matter of risk-reward, we forced him to call off the attack and spared him in the hope that the backlash from the Britannians wouldn't be so severe as to make continued operations an impossibility." There was a high chance that if Clovis actually had been assassinated, that you'd have been facing off against Schneizel and the full might of the Britannian Empire right now. "An assassinated prince is not something that the Britannians would stand for without extreme punitive measures being enacted on the Japanese. As it is, Clovis is being replaced for his failure in Shinjuku with Euphemia li Britannia, judging from all the information I have available to me, I don't believe that this is a bad outcome for the Japanese people." You spoke honestly, and the terrorist stopped to consider your words for a moment.

"Omega speaks truly, Euphemia is by all accounts far more merciful and less vindictive than Clovis was... however, while things may not turn out as harsh on the Japanese people as they were under Clovis, Euphemia is still a willing participant in the Britannian Occupation, and she brings with her a great danger in the form of her sister, Cornelia." You did disagree somewhat with Lelouch's assessment of the situation. Euphemia was by no means really all that willing to go along with the system, and you imagined that if there was anybody who could beat the system from the inside, it was her.

"Right." You nodded, you had intended to let Lelouch do most of the talking, but considering that this was an area where you had the most knowledge out of practically anyone on the planet, you took over somewhat. "Cornelia is a tremendously talented military commander, and the same tactics that allowed for the obliteration of Clovis' forces won't be nearly as successful against somebody like her." While you hadn't really reviewed just what sort of a strategy Lelouch ended up using, you imagined it had something to do with having a direct link to the enemy's secure comms and using that link to just completely outplay whatever move Clovis or his tacticians attempted. Of course you couldn't rely on that against somebody as experienced as Cornelia. In fact if you wanted to beat her at all if it came to a military engagement, you'd have to ensure you were victorious in a decisive yet swift move. In conventional warfare, neither you or Lelouch would be able to compete with her for long. Unconventional strategies and unorthodox moves were about all that you could rely upon against Cornelia, of course you hoped that things wouldn't ever even have to get to a point where you were forced against your sister on a battlefield, but you weren't going to back down. You knew you were doing the right thing.
>>
"We're getting off topic." The leader, Ohgi, spoke up again. "It's obvious that the two of you are very well connected and effective, but... that doesn't answer just who you work for. The Japanese Liberation Army hasn't heard of anything like the two of you, do you represent another country or...?" Ohgi was clearly interested in just what motives the two of you had.

"Oh, no. We're not beholden to any third party. Our reasons for going against the Britannian Empire are both our own, nevertheless, I assure you that I will make sure that the Britannian regime in Japan is dismantled completely and that the Japanese people have a powerful enough government in place to repel a future retaliatory invasion." Lelouch was telling the man what he wanted to hear now. "Omega and myself may not be beholden to any third parties, but... our means are not to be underestimated despite that."

"Right, I have five brand new captured Sutherlands that I can provide your group with, I understand that you lost those which were procured for you by Zero in the battle." Seeing as you were directly going to be working with the terrorists, it made sense that you tried to get them the best equipment possible, you didn't exactly need more than one Sutherland to study now that you had the beginnings of a factory anyway. Soon enough you'd be able to manufacture absolutely anything you wanted to use.

"That's right, we were ambushed by this bastard Britannian super Knightmare Frame!" The man who clearly wasn't supposed to be directly involved in the negotiation shouted out once again, and you turned to face him.

"Don't be so surprised, new generation Knightmare Frames usually perform in such a way when they are first introduced and countermeasures have yet to be created for them." You were quick to inform the man that the reason that they lost likely wasn't due to a lack of skill, but was instead thanks to the massive technological gulf that existed between generations, especially if the tech that was being fielded was brand new. It was of course possible to modernize older generation Knightmare Frames so that they compete with newer models, but... obviously that required infrastructure that was unlikely to be possessed by a rag-tag band of terrorists. The Japanese Liberation Army still had some power of course, but logistically it was still impossible for them to win.

"Right, well... we know what you're offering, but... that doesn't answer one question." Ohgi took over again. "What exactly do the two of you want from us?"

"Well, isn't it simple? I think it would be mutually beneficial for all of us to work together, between Omega's technological prowess and my leadership, I believe that you'd be a far more effective group." Lelouch had finally made his play, he'd finally asked the terrorists directly to work under him.
>>
"So you're suggesting we work for you?" Ohgi crossed his arms, deep in thought as he looked at Lelouch. Clearly he was weighing his options, and it was pretty obvious that he only had one choice. Had it not been for you and Lelouch during the battle, his entire cell would've been wiped out with the rest of Shinjuku.

"Of course." Lelouch looked at his hand, clenching it in a theatrical display. "Working together, we'd be able to move beyond just being a thorn in Britannia's side... I believe that if we work together, we could actually win. That we'd be able to defeat Britannia through strategy. Do you agree?" Lelouch walked towards Ohgi and held out his hand for him to shake.

"I suppose that we really don't have much of a choice. This group... under my leadership... we haven't flourished." Ohgi took Lelouch's hand and shook it. "From now on, you're the leader." He directed his statement towards Lelouch, but you didn't really care either way.

"Are you sure that's a good idea, Ohgi? We don't know just what these two are after!" Kallen spoke up quickly, alarmed by how quickly things were moving. "I mean... I know that Zero is on our side, but..." Kallen seemed to immediately doubt herself after she started talking.

"Come on Kallen, had it not been for these two, how many times would we have been wiped out yesterday?" Ohgi shrugged. "As far as I can tell, the only reason we're even alive is thanks to their intervention, so we owe them a huge debt." He then turned back to Lelouch. "OK, Zero. We're yours to command. What's the first mission? Attacking a weapon depot? Ambushing a patrol?" Both reasonable choices of target.

"Nothing of the sort." Lelouch shook his head. "Our first mission will take place in seven days time. The most important thing for a group like ours is... reputation. The people of Japan need to be inspired, and Britannian propaganda makes getting our message out to the common man practically impossible." What could he be planning on doing? "In seven days time, the official ceremony for installing Euphemia as the Viceroy will take place. I want to reveal our group to the world on that day, the Britannians will be unable to cover up our existence if we intervene in such a crucial event... it should also give Omega some time to outfit you all with superior equipment." Wow, way to put somebody on the spot there, Lelouch. Of course you could probably set up an assembly line at your factory... though it would be difficult to explain things if you used the factory you had ownership of in your civilian guise to create state of the art equipment for terrorists... and you didn't want to sell to Britannia either.
>>
"It may be difficult, but... I ought to be able to construct an additional 5 suits of armor similar to my own in seven days." You didn't want to push yourself again, and five was a good amount. Of course you were actually planning on creating six suits of armor, as CC had mentioned she wanted a set, but they didn't need to know that. "How many of you are there in this cell anyway?"

"There's about 60 of us in total right now... but if you can only make five suits like that, then... we'll need a suit for Kallen, Tamaki, Kento, Minami and myself." The group was fairly large, but... 60 men alone wouldn't be enough, and you'd definitely need to expand the size of the group. "Of course, equipment aside... how exactly are we going to interrupt the ceremony?"

"Oh, it's quite simple. We overwhelm the princess' personal security force and kidnap her. If we hold her hostage, we'll have significant leverage against the Britannians." You turned to look at Lelouch, your masked face hiding your stunned expression. What... was he planning on doing? Kidnapping Euphemia? Was he out of his god damn mind?! "Of course, not only that, but it will provide us the personal opportunity to reveal the existence of our group to the world, appearances and reputation are everything, so... from this day on, this group shall be known as the Black Knights." Lelouch quickly renamed the group, and it didn't look like anybody cared. Did... did they even have a name before anyway? "Now, I want you all to remember that this is only to cement our reputation as a capable group. Releasing the princess in the future after securing some concessions from the occupying Britannians will be far more effective for our purposes than killing her." You grit your teeth. You really hoped that Lelouch knew what he was doing, because if he got one of your sisters killed thanks to his idiotic plan, you'd kill him.

"T-that's a pretty ambitious plan, Zero." Ohgi was surprised at just how audacious Lelouch's plan was. "Are you sure that we'll be able to manage it?" He was right to be doubtful of course, what Lelouch was suggesting was ridiculous... though with his Geass, it was more than possible. But did he really plan on using his Geass to such a degree?

"Of course. I'm confident in my ability to overcome whatever security forces are in place, and the Britannians won't be so foolish as to authorize the usage of an experimental prototype weapon in the defense of a princess." It was a fair argument. "However... we will still need a strategy." For as much as you disliked the plan on principle, you had to admit that it could be very useful for reasons other than the ones Lelouch brought up. If you could reveal yourself to Euphemia in a controlled environment, then you'd be able to convince her about what was truly going on! But at the same time... did you really want to kidnap your own sister?

We've already drawn out everything we need for the miniframes. All we gotta do is include the hands free communications device for the PA right? In addition to creating some Anti-armor explosives?

We can outfit some of them with Anti-vehicle rockets, maybe some well placed turret mounted stingers?

Good enough

We will need to set up a schedule, even if we should be able to create the needed equipment for the mission during this days even in our workshop.

Remind Lelouch that we have also the company affairs, it might be best to think on how to use the Ashford factory.
Concealed factory sections perhaps ? New ones ? We have still to make the debut of the Yeoman too.

For the PAs beside some anti vehicle rocket launcher, some stolen rifles would do nicely. Preferably we don't want this mission to transform in an active combat one, and we should avoid to be seen as cruel.

4chan destroyed my post and I'm sad for it.
In the first thread or some shit when Bastion got ambushed by all the Brationian soldiers he used his Geass powers to destroy all the guards communications devices to stun then, in addition to shutting off the lights. He also killed all of them. I vaguely recall the wireless hack attempt put a strain on his mind. Oh here it is.

>thread 1
>While your Geass worked best with direct contact with the object that you wanted to manipulate, it was still possible to wield the powers of your Geass through very thin layers of fabric or other layers that may have blocked your power. It caused you a little more mental stress and taxed your mind more to wield the Geass in such a way, but... you needed to do something drastic now.

>You willed the Geass in your right eye to activate as you willed your mind into your own mobile phone. It was a simple flip-phone. The mobile phone market had sort of stagnated over the years, and while you remember a surge of touch-screen devices about a decade ago, it was nothing more than a passing fad and people simply preferred the simpler flip phone design. Still, while the processing power of the phone left much to be desired, that was irrelevant. It was still good enough for your needs.

>With your mind within the phone, you started to create a code at the speed of thought to be broadcast by the phone. You were creating a new program within the phone in less than a second. Time flowed around you slowly as you worked on the code for your plan to escape this mess alive. Your mind had started to scream in pain at this usage of your Geass already. You needed every possible moment that you could buy, and if that meant enduring a migraine in order to experience time at this slowed rate, then you'd suffer the pain. This was only possible due to no longer being bound by the limits of your human body. You had artificially accelerated your own thought processes by detaching your mind from your body, but it hurt. God, did it hurt.

So, get a phone with better processing power and durable casing. Have phone attached to waste or in pocket. have eloectro pad thing attached to phone.
Would that would? If we preprogrammed viruses before using our geass to hack a bunch of shit, would that work?
