It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 750 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized across the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 101 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Emperor of the Universe: Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Mechikabura's visit and subsequent kicking of the Time Patroller Trunks, Karn then spent a few hours alone with Towa and Meloka before exploring Towa's Lab. Searching around he traveled deeper and deeper into the depths of the complex, coming to a doorway sealed by a giant block that he tore away with telekinesis. Only to discover a room swathed in Dark, leading to a battle against the agents of Darkness. After a brief yet intense battle, Chilli successfully sealed away the Dark, only for a giant to be discovered in a hidden room. After exploring the room beyond with his magical children and finding a pair of old corpses, Karn and his family then left that sealed off room behind before he went to spend time with Koruza. As we rejoin Karn, you've given the pair both something to consider, and spent more than two hours with the two of them.

“Hey, you two coming?” Future Chaya asks, suddenly dashing into the room. “Dinner's ready, let's go!”
“Already? Well, let's not keep them waiting.” you say, turning from your adult daughter to your youngest half demon son and his Stand, both of who seem exhausted from you training them. “Come on, let's go.”
“Right.” Koruza says, Dark Rider vanishing back into nothing as your son walks over, taking your offered hand. Future Chaya, seeing what you're about to do rushes over and lays her hand on your shoulder as well. You focus, raising your right hand to your forehead, and with a moment's concentration teleport the three of you to where everyone else is gathered. And to your surprise, everything is already laid out. What seems to be a stack of glazed meat slabs is piled high, at least a hundred inch-thick pieces all stacked together. “Oh wow, this looks great!”
“That it does.” you say, an almost sickly sweet smell hitting your nose. And as it does, your stomach demands it instantly. “Oh, that smells good.”

“And now that you're here, go ahead everyone and dig in.” Towa says, and as one everyone digs in. The food is absolutely heavenly, you letting out a satisfied noise as the first bite hits your tongue. And you aren't the only one, everyone enjoying what was prepared. Then after less than ten minutes, give or take, everyone is finished.
“That was excellent.” you say to Towa, relaxing and leaning back in your seat.
“Good, but that wasn't me.” she says, turning towards Future Chaya. “This one was all her.”
“Really? Excellent job kiddo.” you say, reaching out and ruffling her hair against her halfhearted protests. Yet despite them you can see she's smiling and blushing a little bit. “This was great.”

“Ehehe, thanks.” she says, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly at everyone else heaping praise upon her as well. She seems a little taken aback and embarrassed by the praise, but despite that seems to be enjoying the attention. Perhaps she and your Chaya aren't so different after all?
“You gotta teach me how to make this!” Kayle says excitedly, flying directly up into your future daughter's face. “I wanna make it too!”
“Yeah!” Tatsu and Tomi surprisingly shout together, Future Chaya looking between your three kids with a look of surprise.
“Well, I think I know what we will be having tomorrow evening.” Towa says, looking to Future Chaya as well. “What do you think?”
“I, uhhh, yeah!” she says, stumbling a bit. “That sounds great! C'mon, I'll show you all how to prepare it.”

Future Chaya then takes the older twins and Kayle along with her, heading through one of this dining room's four doors out. Perhaps that one leads to their kitchen?

“Staying on a twenty four hour schedule is important to keep your minds ready to return to your own timeline.” Towa says to you. “But that said, you do have another hour or two before calling it a day.”

Another hour or so left in the day? What will you do?
>Spend some time by yourself, focus on calming yourself in your strongest form
>Ask Ace to accompany you, and spar against him in his strongest form before bed

“I'm going to spend a bit of time by myself, meditating on my Ascended form.” you say, standing tall and stretching after the filling meal. “Anyone know a quiet room I can do that?”
“Of course, I'll show you.” Towa says, snapping her fingers and the android Churai appears beside her. Towa doesn't say anything, the machine woman immediately moving forward and gathering up the plates from the meal. “This way.”
“Thanks.” you say, following her out the door to the left of the one Future Chaya and the kids had gone through. “Need a quiet place to focus.”
“I know just the room.” she says, turning back and glancing at you before leading you down the hallway. “I do have a sensory deprivation chamber, just up ahead.”

“Sensory deprivation?” you ask, brows furrowing. “What do you mean?”
“With a bit of magic and tech, I have created a room that doesn't stimulate most of your senses.” she says, sounding a bit proud of this as she talks. “There is zero gravity inside the pitch-black chamber, and has spells woven throughout it to prevent any possible sounds from traveling and no sensations from registering on your skin. You'll essentially be deaf, blind, unfeeling and weightless. The perfect chamber to truly focus your mind.”
“Interesting.” you say, curious about this mysterious chamber. “Well, let's try it out and see what happens.”
“I think you will find it a uniquely-relaxing experience.” she says, turning a corner to what looks like another giant sealed gravity chamber door. But this one has a warning above it in demonic script, illegible to you. “And here we are. One moment.”

She then turns from you, summoning the god-destroying spear Godsend and weaving the blade through a complex pattern through the air while speaking in a tongue you can't understand. Then after a moment, the door opens by itself as she turns back towards you.

“The door will shut behind you once you enter, and I'll come get you when it's time. If you don't leave on your own before hand.” Towa says, walking up and getting very close to you. She looks up into your eyes, then suddenly lunges up, kissing you. You return the kiss, Towa pressing herself to you for several seconds before pulling away. “Don't get too lost in there now.”

Then she starts sauntering off, adding a little extra hip into each step as she walks away. You watch her for a second or two before turning back to the chamber, and stepping forward. As you reach the door frame, you can almost feel the magic inside against your skin. Your instincts buzz slightly, almost as if they're uncertain about what lies beyond. And for a moment, you hesitate. But shaking your head, you step forward into that unknown.

The first thing you notice is the lack of sound, your footsteps not making any noise as you walk in. Looking around, the only light in this featureless room is coming from the hallway you'd come in through, but that immediately ends as the door shuts itself. Completely silently, not even the faintest noise to confirm that its, closed. You focus your energy, and in a flash of blinding emerald light take on your Ascended Berserker form. And as you do, the gravity in the room seemingly vanishes. With nothing holding you onto the floor, you begin drifting up into the air. With your aura's glow illuminating the room you fly up into the center, then once you're centered close your eyes, and focus.

First you power down to the minimum required to stay transformed, letting your aura fade and once more leaving you suspended in darkness. Opening and closing your eyes makes no difference, leaving you suspended in absolute darkness. Absolute darkness and silence envelop you, giving you a completely distraction-free environment to focus solely on your transformed state.

But it doesn't work. The more you try and relax, the more your instincts seemingly awaken in this space. The feeling of being watched, of being unaware is leaving you uneasy despite knowing that there is no one else in here. But your body cannot relax. Being deprived of your senses only puts you even further on edge, muscles tensing up and readied for an ambush or fight. No matter how you try relaxing, in this space you simply cannot. Time stretches on, becoming more and more unsettling as the seconds tick by.

“HAAAAA!” you shout, or at least try to. But you hear nothing, your instincts ratcheting up another level and leaving you feeling even more tense and uneasy.

But what do you do?
>Try and stick it out, you need to relax and focus on yourself
>Let your aura flare up again, perhaps with your sight unhampered you'll be able to relax in this space a bit more?
>Give up and teleport out, this isn't for you

Not hearing your own voice, you can feel your instincts' fears nearly double. The sense of fear and dread in your gut, the worry something terrible is closing in on you while you're unawares nearly overpowers your rational mind. So you close your eyes, despite it not making a difference in sight, and take a deep, calming breath. Slowly, methodically you inhale, counting up to ten before holding your breath.

“One, two, three, four, five.” you think to yourself, then begin exhaling once more while again slowly counting up to ten again. As you do, as well as you can figure without your sense of touch, attempt to retake the meditative pose the Guardian of New Salda had taught you for meditation. Back straight, arms resting on your crossed legs as you continue slowly, methodically breathing. After the third breath you begin feeling you heart rate slow down, only now realizing just how quickly it had been beating. Your body had gone into attack mode, a hair trigger away from annihilating anything or anyone who would have appeared out of the darkness around you. But as you focus your mind, tuning out everything except for your breathing and counting the seconds in and out with each breath, your body gradually relaxes. With every few breaths you stretch them out longer, and after a short while are up to fifteen second inhales and exhales. Then, just as you've fully relaxed, everything around you begins changing again. Slowly the gravity begins coming back on, and as the sensation of drifting weightlessly is replaced by slowly falling you feel your eyes open, and suddenly hear an ear-splitting screech!

Immediately your hands clasp over your ears, you feeling your hands to your head like a thunderclap as the room begins filling with light. It burns your eyes, you closing them and looking away at the sensational overload. After a second or three your body begins adjusting, and opening your eyes see Meloka and Towa standing in the doorway.

“Relaxing, isn't it?” Towa asks you, shouting unnecessarily loud as you begin walking over towards your wife and the demon princess. But Meloka seems more concerned, hairless brows furrowed in concern.
“Karn? You okay?” she asks worriedly. “You okay?”

Well?

“Not gonna lie, I only just got relaxed in that thing.” you say, and despite speaking barely above a whisper your voice is booming in your ears. “Made me go kinda haywire in there, my instincts did not like it.”
“Your instincts?” Towa asks, clearly confused as she tilts her head. “What do you mean?”
“I'm not exactly sure.” you reply, tapping your chest. “But in here, I can almost feel when danger is closing in. And for most of my time in there, they were going crazy. Having my senses dulled like that was leaving me almost in a panic, until I could calm myself down. Without all my senses, it felt like I was going to be under attack at any moment.”
“That bad?” Meloka asks, you nodding to her then smiling.

“Yeah. So tomorrow I'm going to give it another go.” you say, everyone's voices no longer sounding like they're shouting in your ears. “But that's definitely enough for today. Where are the kids?”
“They're all already bedded down for the evening, if you want to say a quick goodnight.” Towa tells you, tapping her forehead. “Then when you're done, we'll be waiting.”
“Alright, I'll meet you there.” you say, focusing your ki sense. You go to Chaya and Broly first, the two sharing a room with Ace and Future Chaya. Appearing at the base of the two bunked beds, you say a quick goodnight to the four of them before teleporting next to the oldest twins. Tatsu and Tomi are sharing a room with Maza, you wishing the three of them a goodnight as well before once more teleporting off. It only takes you a minute or so to tell all of your kids goodnight, then focus your senses and return to Towa and Meloka. Who're both expecting you, and begin stripping you down out of your armor as you appear. Seems they're eager to get to bed themselves.

You get in bed with the two women, and after awhile the three of you finally head off to sleep yourselves. As you're drifting off, one woman on either side of you as you lay on your back, exhausted, you can't help but feel a smile on your face. This is the sort of peace you've worked so hard and for so long to achieve. And once the Supreme Kai of Time has been dealt with, they'll all be able to join you in your timeline without fear of her goons' interference and ruining important events for you all. Thoughts of that future fill your mind as you drift off to sleep, dreaming of a world without that damned Kai's interference, and all too soon find yourself waking once more.

The next several days are all just as peaceful as your first day, no further incursions of Abyssal Dark or visits from Mechikabura, just you and your large family all spending time together. As you adjust to your new routine, you wish that this peaceful time here will never end. But end it does, and as the final day draws to a close, everyone is clearly not ready for it to be over.

“Do you really have to go?” Koruza and Dark Rider ask simultaneously, as the dinner prepared by Future Chaya, Tatsu, Tomi, and Kayle is finished. “You can't stay forever?”
“Sorry, but we do.” you say, looking both your son and then his Stand in the eyes. “If we want to go back to our own timeline, we have to go. But we'll be back soon.”
“How soon?” Maza asks, sounding a bit more curt than usual. You feel it, what seems almost like hurt in his voice. But you don't answer, instead turning to Towa questioningly.

“It will be another month before you can return, to avoid leaving traces of our timeline on you all.” Towa says. As she does you can almost feel your half-demon kids sigh out in disappointment. “But then you all will be able to stay for another week once more.”
“A whole month?” Maz asks, your youngest twin son's expression falling. He then brings up his hands, counting something on his fingers. “That's four weeks. I can wait four weeks.”
“Me too.” Koruza says, and the room's sentiment begins changing. After less than ten seconds, they all seem okay with this arrangement, and not so sad to say their goodbyes.

“Maza. You've grown a lot stronger this past week.” you say, the two of you clasping hands firmly. “And I'm not talking about your powerlevel. You've grown up.”
“Thank you.” he says, nodding to you once and trying to remain stoic. Which lasts up until you break the shake, and give your oldest half-demon son a giant bear hug. “Be strong Maza. Your family here will rely on you.”
“I will.” he says, you ending the hug and turning to Milha.
“I'll miss all the fun we've had.” she says, a shiver climbing up your spine at the various methods of torture her magic has put you through this week. “I'll come up with even more fun spells for next time!”
“Ahaha, I'm sure you will.” you say, ruffling her hair as she beams at you. Then you turn to Koruza, and his Dark Rider standing behind him. “You two, remember what I taught you. Do not hesitate in the face of fear, make them more afraid of you than you are of them.”
“We will.” they say, you reaching out and laying a hand on each of their heads. Then you turn to Future Chaya.

"As for you, Chaya." you say, walking up to your adult daughter and then wrapping her in your arms. "You have to take care of yourself kiddo. Don't go breaking yourself, or leaving your body incapacitated. Your family all need you to be strong to face what's coming."
"What's coming?" she asks, sounding confused. "What do you mean?"
“Mechikabura and Fu captured Trunks. That means the war between them and the Supreme Kai of Time is about to escalate.” you tell her seriously, pulling back a bit and grabbing her shoulders, staring into her eyes. “She is going to retaliate, somewhere. Your family is relying on you and your power, you have to keep yourself whole. She can attack at any moment, and you're standing between her thugs and your family. So promise me you'll be safe.”
“I will.” she says seriously, meeting your gaze with steely resolve in her eyes. “Nothing will happen to them while you're away, I promise.”

“Thank you Chaya.” you say, hugging her again and patting her on the head despite her clearly-insincere complaints. “I know you will. All of you behave while we're gone, okay?”
“Yes sir!” your three half-demon kids all shout, and as one to your complete surprise give you a proper Saiyan salute! It catches you by such surprise you can't react for a second, then as the shock wears off you return the gesture to them with a proud smile on your face before turning back to Towa.
“We're ready.” you say, the demoness smirking and shaking her head.
“Almost ready.” she says, gesturing for Chilli to walk up. Confused he does, Towa instructing him to lay down on the table. “Remember how you all were when you'd left your own world? Chilli was unconscious.”
“Ohhh, that's right!” you say, realizing the mistake you would have made. Would have appeared really suspicious if one second he's unconscious on his bed, and the next wide awake when you all return. “Good call.”

“Alright Chilli, hold still.” she says, reaching out and tapping him on the forehead with a finger. A second later, your magically-attuned son is asleep, head lolling to the side. “There. Now you all are ready.”
“Thanks Towa. For everything.” you say, the demon woman walking up to you, and giving you a kiss for several seconds before pulling back away. “See you again soon.”
“It can't be soon enough.” she says, then calls. “Churai, send them back.”
“Of course.” the android says, appearing beside you all. “Everyone, into your positions.”

The android rearranges how you all are standing, returning you all to how you were before leaving your own timeline, then the world around you shifts. One moment you are inside Towa's main laboratory, the next find yourself back in your ship, Megumin kneeling before your sleeping son.

“Megumin, why don't you go on and get some sleep yourself?” you ask her, the young Crimson Demon woman turning to you curiously. “I'm sure that, by tomorrow, he'll be as good as new.”
“Uhhh, yeah. Okay.” she says, sounding a bit confused as everyone else starts heading out of the room. “Are you sure?”
“Very sure.” you say, surprised at how well she's acting out her part. She still sounds like a distressed wife uncertain if her husband will recover. “Do you need a hand?”
“No no, I can take care of it myself.” she says, you nodding and leaving the two of them alone. You and Meloka take Okira and Karn Jr to your own room, the other kids all running off different directions but the two of you clearly are ready for nothing more than to head off to bed, and get some rest. Or, at least that was your plan.

As the two of you get into bed, Meloka creates a pair of glowing orbs around the two youngest, levitating them up over the bed and crawling atop you.

“I've been waiting to have you all to myself.” your wife whispers in your ear, you realizing you're not going to be getting much sleep over the next couple of hours. But eventually the two of you are satisfied, Meloka returning the now-sleeping children down to the bed with you both, and quickly falls asleep. You're not long after her, your last thoughts of the new day ahead before the darkness takes you as well. You drift in the endless void for an unknowable amount of time, then suddenly feel yourself beginning to awaken.

Your eyes suddenly snap open, your mind instantly fully awake. Looking around, you see your wife laying on your side, still deep asleep with Karn Jr laying peacefully asleep between you both. On your left you are still holding your youngest daughter Okira to you, her Stand laying out of her mouth also asleep. First day back in your own timeline in a week.

"If I'm up this early, there's no way something isn't sneaking around." you think to yourself, and immediately focus on your family. You use your telekinesis to lift Okira, Imagine Dragon, Meloka, and Karn Jr, then immediately slip out of bed before gently laying them back down on the bed. You grab your training uniform and throw it on quickly, sliding your feet into your boots Caulifla'd made for you before grabbing your sword, slinging it over your back and rushing towards the door. Silently you grab the door, sliding it open and slipping out before shutting it behind you. “Alright. Come out, come out. Make this easy, and I'll kill you quick.”

But no one takes your generous offer. The hallway remains eerily quiet, nothing moving or making a noise as you look down both sides of the curved hallway. You then close your eyes, focusing on sensing the ki of every living being in your home. You immediately sense the different ki of your family behind you, as well as your kids gathered in a few different rooms. Then further away are your old crew, still asleep in their beds as well as Silver's staff. The old man himself, however, is awake, and not alone. You can sense another ki with him. It's faint, barely noticeable, but you can still sense it. And as you do, you get the feeling that this sensation is wrong. Almost as if whoever is that ki's owner is purposefully suppressing it, minimizing their presence while on your ship. Which immediately strikes you as something worth investigating.

“Who the hell is that?” you think to yourself, floating silently along the halls while zeroed in on that minuscule ki signature. You rapidly approach the mess hall where Silver and the mysterious ki are, and within twelve seconds have reached the still-closed doors. Knowing the sensors on the door will open them once you've gotten too close, you instead stop just short of the wall, and press your ear to it hoping to hear something. But it's too far, you unable to hear anything despite your ear pressed to the metal. Perhaps the mess hall's walls are sound insulated, to mitigate the volume of a roomful of rowdy crew? Either way, there's nothing you can do from out here. You either have to go on in, or ignore it and go on. But there's no way that this mysterious ki isn't what woke you up, something about it just doesn't feel right. So you walk forward, the automatic doors sliding open and revealing the figure beyond. You see Silver, who you notice is standing with the aid of his crutch instead of sitting down as he usually does to stand face-to-face with an oddly dressed, lanky figure with long black hair. This person turns, wide black eyes staring directly into your soul.

“You-?!” the man says, recoiling at the sight of you. You watch him curiously, studying the figure, and for a single instant get a much greater insight into his power. When the mysterious man's composure fades, for that moment his ki surges, revealing his power to be several million times stronger than what you could sense. But his strength is still nowhere close to your own, which does put you a little more at ease. “You're him, aren't you? Karn, the Dragon.”
“That's me.” you say, and something tells you that despite the power gap, he's still incredibly dangerous. It would be best not to underestimate him. “Now the better question is, who're you?”
“My name is Illumi. Illumi Zoldyck.” the man says, you suddenly remembering seeing him inside Silva's ship last time you'd seen the assassin. If he's here, then where is his family? “And no, before you ask, my family are not here with me. I am here by myself, just checking up on an old friend.”

You turn from Illumi to Silver, who's face is an unreadable mask but hasn't turned his attention from the assassin clansman before you. And you notice Silver's boy, Jim, hiding in his metallic form as a part of the floor between the two men. Something still feels off here, very, very off.

But what do you do? What can you do?
>Telepathically ask Silver what's going on, and what this guy is really here looking for
>Don't say anything, and simply Ascend into your full-power form then see how he reacts to you
>Rush forward threateningly, but stop just short of the assassin and see how he reacts

Silver's clear unease has you on edge, and you can read in his body language and Jim's positioning that this stranger is trouble. But what's more important is the fact this joker snuck onto your ship! Your eyes narrow, glaring menacingly at the assassin.

“Why are you here?” you ask, stepping forward threateningly. “And more importantly: what the hell do you think you're doing sneaking aboard MY ship, without MY permission?”
“Sneaking? I came in through the entrance. It was wide open.” he says, sounding genuinely surprised. Then his eyes widen, as he realizes something. “Ohh, you mean this, don't you?”

Then his aura blazes up around him a moment before fading away, the assassin no longer concealing his energy signature. Once again his powerlevel stabilizes in the low millions perhaps, not a threat to you but still quite impressive nonetheless.

“This is just something we assassins do, force of habit.” he says dismissively, adopting an easy going manner. “Better?”
“You still haven't answered my question.” you say, not believing this new attitude he's put on. “Why are you here?”
“Right.” he says, expression turning completely neutral as his voice takes on a far more . “I am here to catch up with an old family friend. I haven't seen Silver for well over two decades now, not since he still worked for those frozen wannabes. Which is actually something I wanted to speak with you about.”

The Zoldyck assassin then turns back towards Silver, but not fully. He keeps you in sight in his peripheral while speaking to the former Lin Kuei assassin.

“We had thought they were finished, but it seems they have returned far worse than before.” Illumi continues. “They're not only back, but have mechanized.”
“You've seen them too?” you ask, Illumi immediately turning around fully towards you.
“They've been here? Where is the body?” he asks, suddenly intense. “If the head is still mostly intact, my little brother can access it's databanks and perhaps discover the locations of their hideouts.”
“I don't have it, not anymore.” you reply, the assassin visibly sagging. Yet something in his demenor doesn't strike you as wholly-authentic. Either he knows the fate of the assassin, or something else. So you try and test him. “Teleported it down deep into my planet, and tossed it straight down into the molten core.”
“So there's no chance of recovering it then?” he asks, trying to appear disappointed. But he just doesn't seem genuine to you. Either he's trying to appear more sociable than he feels or is overacting to hide his true feelings. You can't quite get a read on him.

“Well, I do know of some others, but Vox isn't letting them go.” the assassin continues. “Supposedly they attacked your daughter's second-in-command, that girl Tanya, and tried to assassinate her along with several of Vox's weapons developers. But they underestimated the Exterminator, who wiped them all out. His people are now examining them, but I doubt he will be able to get any useful information out of them, but he refuses since they supposedly saw some sort of experimental or top secret weapons in development.”

As he says this, your mind goes back to Tanya's remarkably powerful cannon she used against Kars, and wonder what other sorts of powerful tools his people have been cooking up with the Covenant weapons' platforms they've acquired thanks to the war.

“If another one happens to come here, I need you both to do one thing for me.” Illumi says, again looking between both you and Silver. “If another assassin arrives, if at all possible, preserve the head. It's data could prove invaluable, and allow us a method to track them down before their organization grows to a level that is an actual threat. Can you promise me at least that much?”

Well? How do you react to this ask?
>”What aren't you telling me? I know you're hiding something, out with it.”
>Say that you'll try, but you can't promise that if another shows up it's head will survive the experience. You've had a bad experience with taking machine creature's heads as trophies before

“How long have you all known about this?” you ask, catching the assassin by clear surprise. "This seems like it's incredibly important information. Why...Why didn't Silva contact me directly about this right away?"

“There's a reason I'm here, and that this meeting isn't being conducted through the sanctioned, official channels.” Illumi says, voice lowering to barely a whisper. “Whoever is hiding them, is clearly a tech genius as well. Able to not only mechanize the Lin Kuei's assassins, but also able to thwart my little brother's attempts to track them down virtually. This person, or perhaps people, were able to even breach official channels, and get surprisingly deep into our own networks as well. My little brother was eventually able to purge them, and prevent any further data from being compromised. He reached out to King Cold's nephew, Arctus I believe his name is, and they have been collaborating since yesterday on ferreting out this would-by online assassin. I feel confident that, between the two of them, they will be able to keep this attacker at bay until they're found. And hung from the ceiling by their own entrails!”

The assassin's sudden bloodlust pings your instincts, and almost unconsciously feel your Energy Body technique activate. He sees this, and immediately calms back down. His wildly-flowing hair settles back down, his body's tension easing back out of his body as the assassin relaxes.

“Sorry, I seem to have gotten a little too excited there.” Illumi says, a hard edge still to his voice that smooths out as he keeps talking. “It's been a frustrating few days, to say the least.”
“Well, if anyone can discover this cyber menace, it's Arctus.” you say, then let your expression go hard again as you continue addressing the assassin telepathically. “But next time, get a hold of me first personally before stepping one foot onto my ship.”
“I won't forget.” the assassin says, giving you a shallow nod before turning back towards Silver. “Now, where were we?”

You think everything's worked itself out, and are turning to leave, when Silver's next words chill you to your blood.

“I already told you, I don't have that damned amulet any more. One of the Lin Kuei managed to get away with it during that fight.” he says, you realizing that your conversation with this Zoldyck isn't over quite yet. It may just be getting started.

“They really have it? Shinnok's cursed amulet has fallen back into the Lin Kuei's hands?!” the assassin shouts furiously at Silver. “How could you allow this to happen? You were charged with keeping it safe from those fools, there's no telling how much damage they could do with it!”
“I took her hand, but lost her as the battle turned crazier.” Silver says, turning to face you. And you don't need telepathy to know that he's lying, and wants you to go along with his story as well. “More and more folk showed up, each trying to get their hands on it. But she escaped when no one was looking, focused on that little goblin's madness and his terror machines he could just create out of thin air. When he fell, we realized that the amulet he'd been holding was a fake, and the real one nowhere to be seen.”

“Damn, I can't believe that they have the real one.” Illumi says, shaking his head. “With that cursed artifact in their possession, there's no telling the damage they could do. Finding their hideouts is now a top priority, they MUST not be allowed to unleash...”
“On that much we agree.” Silver says, Illumi clearly relaxing at Silver's sincere-sounding words over the momentary pause. The assassin clearly not aware you know what evil being lurks inside the cursed medallion. “No matter what, that artifact cannot be allowed to fall into the wrong hands.”
“That they now have it is urgent news, I must go and tell Father immediately.” Illumi says, giving a curt bow to the older man before turning back towards you. “Forgive me, but I must depart immediately.”

Well? What do you do?
>Don't say anything and let him leave, then telepathically ask Silver why he lied to the assassin about the amulet being taken by the Lin Kuei and not that you all saved it

“Very well. Be on your way.” you say, standing aside and letting the man exit the room without standing in his way. He nods, walking briskly towards and through the automatic doors that shut behind him. You turn towards Silver as the door shuts, and telepathically reach out to him.

“Why?” you think to him, not clarifying what you're asking at first. His expression softens, giving you a smirk and holding up his free hand to his lips. Then, he begins speaking.
“Morning, General.” he says, confusing you by using your title. He never uses your title, what's he doing? “Breakfast will be ready in another hour or two, the ovens are fired up already.”

Then telepathically he continues, speaking his mind.

“Can't trust him, that one's a snake.” Silver tells you telepathically. “If he knew the amulet was still here, he'd stay and skulk around looking for it. No matter what you do, do NOT go to wherever it's stored.”
“I'll keep an eye out as well.” Raven, New Salda's Guardian adds in. “He will not approach the vault.”
“Good, I'm hungry. And I'm sure the kids will all be too.” you say aloud, keeping the double conversation going best you can. “Be careful Raven. If he gets anywhere close to you, let me know immediately. I'm not taking any chances with a Zoldyck on the loose here.”
“Should I tell Emilia to keep an eye on him?” she asks, you shaking your head before continuing.
“No, but let her know, and have her tell Vegeta.” you think to her. “He needs to be on his toes about this. I don't trust him.”

Then you continue aloud, speaking to Silver while still sensing the assassin's once again concealed ki heading away from you towards the ship's exit. Once he's outside, you doubt that you'll be able to track him for long without assistance.

“So, how do you know a Zoldyck?” you ask Silver aloud.
“When you run in those circles, professionals tend to know each other. Or at least know of.” Silver says with a sigh, sitting down and relaxing as Jim's puddle slides across the floor back over to him and reforming his body. “Good, room's clean. If he'd laid down any magical or spying tech, Jim would have found it. Anyways, Illumi's a dangerous one. Specializes in infiltrating the most heavily-guarded fortresses, and assassinating the best-guarded squishies.”
“Squishies?” you ask him, head tilting in confusion as he chuckles.
“Weaklings protected by stronger beings.” he clarifies, then continues. “He's not as big of a threat against powerful beings like yourself and Lord Freeza, but is still quite dangerous in his own right. Anyways, what're you doing up at this hour?”
“Sensed something was off this morning, and ended up here.” you say, Silver just nodding along. “Guess he's why.”

"Maybe." you say, feeling a little uncertain. "He may have been what I sensed, but maybe not. There could always be something else still hiding around here somewhere. So I'm going to take a look around, and make sure no one else is sneaking around.”
“I understand, and good hunting.” Silver says, you sensing Illumi vanishing outside your range as he leaves your ship behind. “Just be careful in the old engine room. With the hull still damaged from that bastard sabotaging the engines and causing them to blow, I left a few rather nasty traps should anyone try sneaking into the ship through there.”

“Appreciate it.” you say, heading off with a wave. If it's enough for HIM to call nasty, you doubt that heading there would yield you anything other than possibly some injuries. So you leave the mess hall, and begin making a circuit of your ship through the main hallway. Walking almost silently across the metal floor, taking care to gently step as you walk, you travel through the halls without incident. You check every room that's empty, peering in and scanning with your eyes and ki sense, but don't find anything out of the ordinary anywhere. And by the time you're back to your own room, everyone else on the ship is beginning to awaken as well. Perhaps he was the reason you'd woken up early?

“Everything okay?” Meloka asks you suddenly with her telepathy. “Did anything happen?”
“Another Zoldyck showed up, to speak to Silver about that old amulet.” you reply, walking up to your door and opening it with minimal effort. Once the door's open, you end the telepathic link, and speak aloud. “Silver told him the Lin Kuei have it, and they're looking to find out where these new robot Lin Kuei are hiding.”
“So they know about them too?” Meloka asks, her heavy brows furrowed. “Maybe with those assassins looking for them too, they won't be a threat for much longer.”
“Hopefully.” you say, sighing out. “C'mon, let's go get the kids up, and get the day started.”
“Sounds good to me.” she says, and despite the news seems to be in a rather good mood today as each of you take one of the younger kids and leave your room. Once everyone is up, you now have another choice before you today:

What's for breakfast?
>Head to the mess hall and see what Silver's cooked up
>Take the kids outside, and have them fish for their own breakfasts to work up an appetite. But not too far out that they run into another Mindslayer
>Head into the city, and down to that smaller restaurant your old man showed you
>Head into the city and smell around for somewhere that smells appetizing

"I think the kids should all go fishing." you say, Meloka raising an eyebrow at you as most of the younger kids all cheer. So you add in, for good measure. "Not out far enough for any of THOSE things to attack us, everyone has to stay close enough that you're not out in the ocean proper.”
"If you say so." she says, clearly uncertain but not willing to argue with you over it as the kids all start rushing outside. "You hand me her, so you can watch over them.”
“Of course.” you say, handing Okira to her then raising your right hand to your forehead, teleporting in front of Tatsu and Tomi as they're the furthest out. And as you appear, they crash directly into you suddenly.
“Oooof!” they both exclaim, losing their grip on each other's hand and falling down separated. “D-Dad?”

“Now hold on, not so fast.” you say, the others all rushing up to you and stopping as well. “You'll all go at the same time on my signal, okay?”
“Right!” the oldest twins say simultaneously.
“I'm ready!” Caulifla shouts, as excited as ever.
“Rea-ay!” Maz and Kayle shout, trying to sound in-sync as the older twins but not quite matching each other.
“Let's do this.” Chaya says, glancing aside to Broly. “Bigger shark wins?”
“Alright.” he replies, the two taking crouching stances ready to explode off the ground.

“Three, two, one.” you say, raising your arm slowly as you count down. Then you throw your arm down, and shout. “GO!”
“HAAA!” they all shout, everyone dashing straight off the beach and flying out into the ocean. Maz and Kayle drop down into the water first, followed closely by Caulifla. No doubt watching over her younger siblings, just in case. Broly and Chaya then both blitz down almost simultaneously, no doubt competing to get a certain prey first. But Tatsu and Tomi, once again linked together keep flying out, long after the others have already gone into the water.

“Don't stray out too far.” you tell the two of them, telepathically linking to their minds. “If you go too far, you could run into a-”

And then your head explodes in searing agony, you clutching your head and dropping to a knee as the unmistakable blast of a Mindslayer's telekinetic blast hits you through your link to the twins.

“Karn?!” Meloka shouts in surprise as you bring your right hand to your forehead against the pain ringing throughout your mind. “What happened?”
“I told them!” you snarl through clenched teeth, focusing on Tomitsu's massive conjoined ki. But the agony of the mental attack keeps you from focusing enough to teleport. You'll have to do this the old-fashioned way. “They went too far and ran into a damn Mindslayer! Dammit!”

Then without another word you blast off the beach as well, surging towards the older twins' ki. Looks like Mindslayer meat is back on the menu!

I enjoyed talking with Illumi. It's gonna be fun poking holes in his schemes.

He's just smart enough to be a problem, but still too stupid realize he's not ready for this yet.
If he wanted to take a go at Karn he should have done it as soon as he found out Killua was slain.
Every day he waits just makes his already abysmal chances drop even lower.
The only good chance he's gonna get is when Karn is on his death bed.

>The only good chance he's gonna get is when Karn is on his death bed.

>>5189269
>That’s like measuring yourself against Future Chaya.
WHY. THE FUCK. NOT?
Every moment spent training towards that goal, even if it's impossible, will never be time wasted.
>>
>>5189288
Well she certainly has one now.
>>5189322

You have a good point. Better to set reasonable goals like making the Lin Kuei extinct for fucking with our friends and family. Makes me wonder what happened in that alternate Karn's life to be that strong. Also,
>throw your life away and your family
That's for suckers and cowards. Karn is a mass murdering family man. What's the point of being able to blow up planets if you can't spend quality time with those you care about?

For his sake I hope he milks that check for his information and guidance for all its worth. I'd be honestly surprised if he doesn't try to steal a wish for himself. If he wishes for Kryptonian biology I'll be impressed

He...he knows how heavy Saiyan's like the gravity, right?
>>
>>5191170
I mean a wish for a wish isn't really a bad trade. It's not like Frieza has much to lose by letting Kazuma sit around for a year before blowing the planet up to get rid of the balls.
>>
>>5191132
He wants the easy life. Why would he endanger that?
>>5191170
Correct. And after spending some time with Freeza, and if he wants a wish, he’d know to ask as payment for providing the info.
>>5191241
He’s not standing on New Salda without magical assiatance.
>>5191243
Remember, if going to Namek, that’s 3
>>
>>5191316
I just assume he'd rather go to Earth since there's a lot more stuff to do there than on Namek. Especially with Capsule Corp regularly breaking the laws of physics with their tech.
>>
>>5191371
Why would that nerd Kazuma go back to shitty ass earth again when he's in the Dragon Ball x Other IPs universe? Plus, 3 wishes vs 1, pretty obvious if you ask me.
>>
>>5191371
Biggest problem with Earth is FINDING them. Whereas on Namek there are 6 villages and Guru himself who each have one.
>>5191524
Capsule Corp has good tech.
>>
>>5191623
>Biggest problem with Earth is FINDING them
So when Bulma meets Gohan, is she somehow gonna be able to convince him to come along and look for the other Dragon Balls?
>>
>>5191674

>>
>>5191674
>Might depend on the shape the world’s in
Oh for sure, but I can't imagine it would be too bad right now unless Babidi decided to visit early.
>And who finds Gohan first
Even if Pilaf or the Red Ribbon Army managed to find Gohan before Bulma, it's not like he would help them.
They also couldn't actually hurt him given how he was stronger than Devilman and could go toe-to-toe with Goku even after he trained with Korin.
>>
>>5191810
Without Goku speedrunning gathering the Dragon Balls for BOTH Pilaf and Bulma, who would get to them all first? Between April and September of Age 749, Bulma STARTS her search. Colonel Silver starts (in canon) his search April 18th, Age 750.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 171 Intermission-

AGE 750, CRIMSON DEMON VILLAGE

“KAAAAAZUUUUUMAAAAAA!!” the most useless goddess wails, arms wrapped around your legs to prevent you from leaving. “You can't just leave! What about defeating the Demon King?”
“Screw the demon king!” you retort furiously. “This world has been nothing but trouble since you dragged me down here!”
“I dragged you? I dragged YOU?!” she shouts furiously, scrambling up and shouting in your face. “You dragged me down! I was perfectly fine living in heaven, spending my days in luxury before you had to ruin my life!”
“Kazuma, Aqua, please stop fighting.” Yunyun asks, her soft voice barely audible over Aqua's crying. But you both hear her, and turn towards the Crimson Demon archwizard a bit sheepishly.
“I wish you'd yell at me like that.” Darkness says, you seeing her cheeks are flushed and she's panting a bit in excitement. The damn pervert.

You are Satou Kazuma, a former neet-turned-isekai hero, vanquisher of the Demon King's most dangerous generals like Beldia and Vanir, and the Deadly Poison Slime Hans. And after the wedding of Yunyun's friend and childhood rival Megumin to a Saiyan of all things, you'd finally met the emperor of the universe himself: Lord Freeza. And to your surprise he was actually quite amicable, not wanting to play the sorts of power games you'd thought he'd want to play. Instead he was very direct, wanting to know what you wanted and your price. Which, honestly was a relief after dealing with certain types of people. So you'd told him of the Dragonballs, the seven magical orbs capable of granting almost any wish. At first he'd seemed to think you'd merely been spinning a tale, but then his SAIYAN GENERAL Karn convinced Freeza that they really exist. Which, if that doesn't convince someone just how crazy this reality is, you aren't sure what would.

“Pervert.” you say flatly to Darkness, who “Nyas” in excited embarrassment as you turn your focus back to the biggest pain in your ass since you'd been reincarnated into this world. “And as for you, absolutely not. You aren't responsible enough to be in Lord Freeza's presence for more than a few minutes, much less be unsupervised on his ship for a whole voyage. Last thing I need is you breaking a life support system and suffocating everyone on board out in space. You're staying here, end of discussion. And furthermore-!”

But before you can say anything else there is a blinding flash of light, and a figure straight out of your childhood appears!

“T-T-Trunks?!” you shout in astonishment, falling back in shock as the powerful half-Saiyan time traveler appears. He's not dressed in his Capsule Corp jacket that you'd first seen him in all those years ago. Instead he's wearing a long black coat, hands covered in gloves and with his hair long like it was the first time he fought Cell in that Ultra buff Super Saiyan form. And he doesn't look happy. “Wh-What the hell are you doing way out here?”

“I'm back for my sword.” he says, holding out his gloved hand as you nervously rise back to your feet. “I'd appreciate it if you handed that back now, and didn't put up a fight about it.”
“I knew you would be back for it, so I kept it safe for you.” you lie through your teeth, unbuckling the sheath from around you and holding it out to him. “Here.”
“Appreciate it.” he says, taking the sword and with practiced ease slings it over his back. The buckle snaps shut, the half-Saiyan giving you a nod. Then, almost as if it's an afterthought his brows furrow as he looks at you. “I know who you're going to help, and I don't approve of you using your knowledge in this way.”

As he says this you gulp nervously, worried that he's going to interfere with your plan for an easy life somehow. But instead he continues talking, instead giving you a dire warning.

“I can't say I agree with helping Freeza of all people get a wish on the Dragonballs.” Trunks continues, looking incredibly pensive. “Giving a tyrant like him immortality will undoubtedly cause incredible suffering in this timeline. If you want to live through this, heed my advice. If you're going to go through with this, don't betray him. You can't fathom the depths of Freeza's power, especially now. In this timeline, he has actually spent time training and furthering his power. Even Super Saiyan Blue Goku was bested by the power he possesses now.”
“Wait, what? A blue Super Saiyan?” you ask him, confused. “What sort of fanfiction garbage is that?”
“It's the state beyond Super Saiyan God.” Trunks says, and his body is immediately consumed by flames! You and everyone else leap back, and as he appears from within his blazing aura you see he's changed. His purple hair is now a bright crimson, eyes red as well as he appears to have greatly slimmed down. Even his gloves don't quite fit right, Trunks grabbing them and pulling them further onto his hands one at a time. “It's a power that rivals even deities.”

“Now hold on. Are you saying that there are mortals who can rival a goddess like me?” Aqua asks, you groaning internally. And for a moment, can't help but visualize Trunks saving you from her by giving her the Mecha Freeza treatment. “I find that hard to believe.”
“Then see for yourself.” Trunks says, holding out his hand towards her.

Aqua, in her clueless way walks right up to him and places her hand down in his own, as if a royal expecting a kiss to the back of it. But as she touches him, from her reaction you'd think she'd grabbed onto an electric fence. Aqua immediately leaps back with a shout, clutching her hand while her eyes stay locked onto Trunks, wide with what could be fear.

“N-No way! YOU'RE the next Supreme Kai of Time?!” she shouts, you looking between them in confusion as she begins bowing repeatedly. “I-I-I-I didn't know, please forgive my insolence! It won't happen again, I promise!”
“Supreme Kai of Time?” you mutter, hand going to your chin as you ponder the implications of this. If there's a Supreme Kai over time itself, then are there more Kais? A Kai for everything? Does that make Aqua technically a Kai since she's a deity? No, that can't be it. Kami wasn't a Kai, yet he was the God of Earth. Perhaps Aqua's just a lesser deity, subservient to the Kais?
“I've been here too long.” Trunks says, giving Aqua a shallow bow back then once more disappearing in a flash of light. And just as swiftly as he appeared, he's gone. Leaving behind only more and more questions that keep piling up in your mind.

“K-Kazuma! It's time!” Yunyun calls out, you all turning to see that a dark portal has opened up beside her. Come on, we don't want to be late.”
“Alright. Darkness, keep an eye on Aqua while we're gone.” you say, and start walking towards Yunyun. “We shouldn't be gone for more than a cou-GAAAAA!”

You're interrupted by the most useless goddess actually tackling you from behind, and knocking the two of you and poor Yunyun THROUGH the portal! And the instant you leave the world you were isekai'd to, you're flattened like a ton of bricks just landed on your back. Fortunately you land on something soft and very nice-smellling, you getting the unmistakable scent of Yunyun flooding directly into your brain, and consider this an excellent way to die. Far better than any of the others, 9/10 would recommend. Then after a moment the extreme gravity simply disappears.

“Sorry about that, I wasn't expecting you all to rush through like that yet.” an oddly familiar voice says, and as you rise to your feet and turn to face New Salda's Guardian feel your jaw hit your ankles. No way it's actually her, that's impossible. What is Raven doing here of all places?! “So I didn't have the anti-gravity spell up and running yet.”
“Ooof! This gravity's intense!” Darkness calls, stepping through the portal as well. Her armored boots smash into the sand beside the three of you, you looking up and seeing an all-too-familiar look in her eyes. Oh lord she's LIKING this!

“It's quite alright.” Yunyun says out of breath, you remembering your manners long enough to turn and help her up to her feet. And for some reason her cheeks are flushed, which makes you blush as well knowing full well what heaven you'd landed in. Or rather in between. “One moment. “Gravity Magic: Gravity Normalization!”

You feel your only useful party member's magic washing over you, and coating the four of you in a layer of sparkling red motes of light while outlining your body. You turn towards Raven as her portal shuts, you unable to stop staring at this childhood star standing there before you all just as you remembered. Well, almost as you'd remembered, with one notable difference. That being her legs. You can't help but stare at the woman's exposed, very muscular thighs that help you suddenly sympathize with those anonymous message board dwellers who'd claimed wanting their head crushed between a pair of thighs. She catches you looking, and her eyes narrow into the more familiar bored-seeming gaze that'd enraptured you years ago.

“Can I help you?” she asks flatly.
“Raven, right? You're really Raven.” you say, her eyes widening in shock. “What're you doing all the way out here?”
“How-? Who are you, and how do you know who I am?” she asks, you realizing this Raven has no idea about the show you'd watched years ago, nor what may be coming to her life in the future. You have to warn her!
“That's not important right now.” you say, stepping forward and clasping her hands between your own and holding them up between you. “What does matter is that I understand. I know what it's like to live with the shadow of a terrible father looming over your head. But you're stronger than him, Trigon only has as much power over you as you give him.”

“You know of my father, but not of his fate?” Raven asks, and now it's your turn to be surprised. “Thank you for your concern, but you're clearly out of the loop. Trigon died years ago, slaughtered on this very planet by... my friend, Karn.”
“Wait wait wait, HE killed Trigon?” you ask, shocked. You knew the Legendary Super Saiyan power was incredible, but strong enough to defeat and kill Trigon the Terrible?”
“Yes. But you shouldn't keep speaking his name.” she says, expression growing darker. “Or you could attract their attention.”

“It's far too late for that, dear sister.” a sinister, yet smooth voice says, the five of you turning and seeing a trio of crimson-skinned demons walking towards the five of you. Well, shit. This can't possibly end well.

Ahhh, goddammit Kazuma. Who's ready for a rousing round of demon slaughtering?
>>
>>5191960
You say that like this isn’t happening WHILE you’re off hunting some Mindslayer. But here’s a good question: Where’s Ubo during all this?
>>
>>5191976
ZGiven how often Karn comes up when Kazuma is corrected or asks for clarification on something, is he starting to realize just how much the events of this timeline revolve around Karn?
>>
>>5191994
He’s “realized” more than you think. And is very furious at Aqua for this. He thinks this “Karn” is someone else isekai’d from Japan with Broly’s Legendary Super Saiyan power as their perk. Which does explain why he’s so much more bitter with Aqua than in canon, because he didn’t get that option.
>>
>>5192007
I can see why he'd make that assumption given that there's actually a Dragonball Isekai manga with very similar plot points.

Damnit Darknes, we can't even hit her with a newspaper in this gravity without getting her off.

I hope he wins using Aqua as a club of holy magic and they leave looking as dumb as he and Aqua will.

That is a fair assumption too make, problem is I think he's giving her to much credit in thinking of something like that.

I dunno, I had a chuckle.
Which, seeing just what universe he’s fallen down into, is it any wonder he’s even MORE upset with her than he was canonically? Stands, DBZ, and who knows what else, only to have HER? I’d be upset I got the most expensive revive machine ever too.

>>5189039
>Also a good point, and true enough. But wishes cannot directly force anyone to action(s) against their will. No falling in love, make someone murder someone, etc.
That seems like it applies to Dragon Balls from Namek and Earth.
I'm not sure it is like this with other sets.
Black Star Dragon Balls granted Pilaf's wish to turn Goku into a child. If Goku could refuse Shenron at the end of Namek ark why it did not happen here? Ultimate Shenron just made the wish happen without bothering to ask Goku about any consent.
This seems to be even more of a case with Super Dragon Balls. They are said to be able to grant "any wish". Sounds like Super Shenron fulfills the wish no matter what. I'm sure Goku would object to body swapping with Zamasu if he had anything to say about it.
>>5189147
>She knows how powerful her Karn became you mean.
>>5190057
>Let’s just say he lost, SKoT made a deal with him, and brought him back to Conton City with his(smaller) family to devoted his time to fighting the Time Breakers.
I'm very curious about who remained alive from his family, but I know that would be too much of a spoiler.
How was he when he was there?
Was he staying there reluctantly because he had nowhere else to go or did he truly became a Time Patroller?
What kind of Time Patroller Karn was?
Did he became a poster boy of the Time Patrol like Ace or Trunks did?
Was he truly believing in Supreme Kai of Time's ideas and goals?
I know he became a real friends with Dumplin (I remember you said that Dumplin is looking for a way to bring him back).
>>
>>5193091
It seems to be more like, the Dragonballs can't influence your actions, changing your body or someone else's is clearly on the table, no consent required.
>>
>>5192363
Poor Kazuma. At least he has Yunyun in this timeline.
>>5193091
SOON indeed.
Turning into a child isn’t something a person CAN do, doesn’t apply here. Same with body swapping. As Ginyu can swap bodies with even exponentially stronger beings, especially with Guldo’s help. And yes, Super Shenron doesn’t have the same limitations as the lesser imitations.
Can’t spoil the previous timeline too much, for future revelations. But Karn wasn’t exactly happy with his situation, and only warmed up to those who could fight alongside him.
>>5193094
Yes. Remember, the Dragonballs are limited by the power of their creator. Swapping bodies is something even a Namekian Frog can accomplish, and a Stand with no physical power can undo someone’s time and revert them to their infancy, or ever completely.
>>
>>5193131
>At least he has Yunyun in this timeline.
YunYun is a good girl that is more than Kazuma deserves, but he works for it by being shackled with squirt bitch. And Masochist Bitch Pig. She'll make him better....relatively speaking.

He deserves at least one competent ally

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After a week of spending time with Towa and each of his half-demon children in the demoness's lab, Karn and his family returned to their own timeline only to be awoken early in the morning by an uneasy feeling. After a short search Karn discovered one of Silva Zoldyck's children, Illumi, confronting the former Lin Kuei assassin Silver. After speaking with the Zoldyck and lying to him about the location of the cursed amulet of Shinnok, Karn then took his family out fishing. But everything is not peaceful, the oldest twins Tatsu and Tomi venturing too far from the mainland and are attacked by a vicious Abyssal beast known as a Mindslayer. And as we rejoin Karn, you've just blasted off the beach after the twins, ready to destroy the Dark beast assaulting your children.

“Dammit.” you seethe through clenched teeth, still holding your head as the aftereffects of the beast's psychic assault still ring in your skull. Despite taking such hits several times now, being unprepared still leaves you in searing agony. Which you can only imagine how painful it was for your preteen twins, who's minds are linked on a level you don't fully understand amd haven't been hit with it before.
“Dad? What's wrong?” Broly shouts as you blaze past, your son holding a giant now-headless shark over his head.
“Keep your siblings back!” you shout, blitzing past him then with a deep breath dive into the sea yourself. Locked onto your twins' ki signature, thankfully they're still together, but they aren't alone. You can sense at least three Mindslayers by them, each more powerful than the last circling the twins. You have to save them, NOW!

But how do you do this?
>Rush in and attack, slaughter these beasts with your hands
>Draw your blade, channel your ki into it, and cut them down with your power combined with the sword's
>Ignore the Mindslayers, grab the twins now and blitz back out of the water before trying to fight these things
>Use your telekinesis to throw the kids up and out of the water, dive down between the Mindslayers and unleash a Super Explosive Wave to destroy all three simultaneously

As you're deciding what to do, the weakest of the psychic fish turns, lunging towards the twins with its jaws wide. You have to move now!

"No you don't!" you try and shout, bubbles escaping your mouth as twinned beams of energy fire forth from your eyes. The lunging Mindslayer is caught completely unaware, your beams piercing down directly through the top of the beast's head. After it pierces out through the underside of it's head, you focus and ready yourself to redirect the beam. The other two Mindslayers see what's going on, and one lunges towards your kids while the largest, most powerful beast begins charging directly towards you. You have to choose which to save first, you or your kids. Which is an easy decision, you angling the twin Eye Beams directly towards the second beast trying to attack your kids. The Mindslayer's mouth opens wide, ready to devour your oldest twins whole! But your beams are far faster than the Mindslayer, both piercing directly through it's mouth and out the top of the monster's head.

“Oooooooooaaaaaaa!!” you hear, as the third monster's mouth opens wide as it closes the distance between the two of you. And with your beams so far away, they wouldn't reach you before the beast's teeth will. So you have to do something.
“Dammit!” you seethe, and try something you haven't done before. As the largest Mindslayer closes in, you try redirecting your beams while ALSO dodging the beast's sword-like teeth. You dash aside to your left as the Mindslayer's massive jaws snap shut, you narrowly avoiding getting bitten by the giant creature. Now! “HAAAAAA!”

Bubbles explode out of your mouth as you redirect your beams for a final time, reorienting your twin piercing beams up towards the Mindslayer from behind. Before the monster can turn back towards you, your beams fire up through the beast's backside and out through it's mouth! It wails in agony, you reorienting your beams again and twisting them around, piercing down through the top of the Abyssal creature's head. It's agonized cry is cut short as the beast dies, you ending your attack. The aftereffects of the psychic assault are still ringing in your head, but you shake it off and keep focusing on the goal: Tatsu and Tomi are still down here. You reorient on the twins, and quickly swimming down grab onto each of the twins with a hand each then blast up towards the surface. They're been down here too long, they need to breathe and soon!

You dash towards the surface, and in under a second break free of the sea's grasp. You take a deep breath, and look over the twins. Your blood runs cold as you realize that neither is breathing!

"Dammit, they probably swallowed water when they got hit." you say, thinking aloud as you try and think your way through to a solution. "Gotta get it out of them."

As you say it aloud, you realize that getting the seawater out of them is a good first step. So, without hesitation you flip both of the kids over, holding them both upside-down by the backs of their armor. Then you realize that this will have to be done one at a time. So you take Tatsu in your left hand, and hold him with your tail to then fully focus on Tomi hanging limply in your hand. You'll have to do this right. Switching to holding her by the ankles, you then begin patting her on the back, trying to dislodge the water she doubtlessly swallowed.

“C'mon kiddo, you gotta wake up.” you say, increasing the force you're slapping her back with. Her body remains limp and unmoving. “Wake up Tomi, wake up!”
“Kuuuaah!” she suddenly coughs, water exploding out of her mouth. She coughs violently for several seconds, you just holding her by the ankles and watching her closely. She keeps sputtering, taking labored breaths between violent coughs. “Kaah! D-Dad? Whaa...Tatsu? Where's Tatsu?!”
“Hold on kiddo, I gotta save your brother too.” you tell her, laying Tomi over your right shoulder then holding him how you'd held her. And as you'd done with your daughter, you again start slapping your son on the back. You strike him repeatedly, keeping a steady rhythm with your slaps to his back.

“What happened?” she asks as you keep striking Tatsu's back. “Where are we?”
“The two of you got attacked by Mindslayers.” you say, eyes focused on your son as you continue trying to dislodge the water he swallowed. “Luckily for the two of you, I was linked with your minds as they attacked. Else we wouldn't have realized anything bad had happened.”
“KAAAAA!” Tatsu coughs explosively, water spraying all over you. He tries taking a breath but keeps coughing, struggling to breathe.
“C'mon kiddo, fight through it.” you say to him. “Don't give up, keep fighting!”
“You can do it! Don't you dare quit!” Tomi shouts, Tatsu struggling for several more seconds before his breathing finally begins evening out. “Tatsu!”
“Tomi? Whaaa...?” he asks, clearly confused as your daughter lunges off your shoulder and slams into him. The two embrace, you letting Tatsu go as she's holding onto him. “Dad? What happened? What's going on?”

“Wait, what about the big monsters?” Tomi asks you. “Can we bring those back to eat?”

"No, you guys didn't take them down. So, you don't get to claim and eat them." you say, to the twins' clear disappointment. "But we're not just going to leave them here. C'mon, everyone grab one. We're going to be making a delivery today."
“A delivery?” they ask, voices once again perfectly in-sync. “To who?”
“The Rak'kari.” you answer, taking a deep breath and diving straight down into the water. As you descend, and feel their combined ki submerge a second or two behind you, you reach out telepathically to both Broly and Meloka.

“They're okay, I got the twins.” you think to both of them. “Making a quick detour, then we'll be back. Maybe five minutes?”
“That's good.” Broly answers, his relief apparent through the mental link. But even clearer is Meloka's displeasure, your wife clearly having been worried about this very thing happening. But she doesn't respond, instead ending the mental link after a moment.
“We'll be back shortly.” you tell him, and end the connection as the first body appears in your sight through the bloody haze of the water. You swim down past it, seeing a second one right by it and keep diving deeper.

A few seconds later you find the third body, blood oozing out through the head wound as it lays on the sandy ocean bottom. You swim down, grabbing the beast by the tail, and begin swimming back up towards the surface. As you ascend, you see Tatsu and Tomi have both become Super Saiyans, each one holding one beast as they dash back up to the surface. You rise up and match their pace, the three of you all breaking through the waves simultaneously. Taking a deep breath, you hear one of them coughing and turn worriedly. You see your son Tatsu coughing into his hand, reminding you uncannily of your old man.

“Alright Tatsu, Tomi. Follow me.” you tell them, focusing your ki sense and orienting on the Rak'kari's city further out to sea. You take off at a reasonable pace, one the twins can easily match, and within a minute the crab people's city is directly below you. “Here we are. Everyone take a deep breath, and let's go.”

You swim straight down towards the mass of gathered ki down below, heading more towards the outskirts than dropping down into the center of them and leaving three bodies to clean up. After a few seconds of swimming down, mostly using your energy as you would for flight, you begin seeing the lights of their city beneath the waves. And see that they're under attack.

"Uhh, Daddy?" Tomi asks you telepathically. "Should we help them?"
"You two stay back, just drop them and head to the surface now." you reply with a thought. "If I'm not back up in one minute, or you feel my energy start shrinking, tell your mother immediately alright?"
“I will.” they say simultaneously, both dropping their held Mindslayers and immediately begin flying back towards the surface. As they do, you don't let go of your own, focusing on the single-strongest Mindslayer beneath you and charging directly towards it. You blitz the beast, and see it charging towards the differently-colored, slightly-glowing Rak'kari with the most power. And as the crab person prepares to attack, you fly down, and with a powerful flip swing the massive beast's body down. The dead Mindslayer slams down onto the living one, both bodies slamming down onto the ground below.

“RAAA!” you then roar, bubbles pouring out your mouth as you quickly create an Energy Javelin and pitch it directly into the stunned, still-living beast's head. It opens it's mouth to bellow, unleashing it's mind-scrambling psychic attack, but before it can your javelin explodes. The creature's head is consumed completely by the blast, killing it instantly.
“You?” the Rak'kari's champion says telepathically, you turning to face it's still-glowing form. “What is this?”
“These bastards attacked my kids today.” you say, the creature's expression turning darker. “When you and your people are ready to attack the source of this problem, let me know. I will help you all destroy them.”
“I will send an emissary when our assault on the Abyss is ready.” the crab man informs you. “But will you aid us here and now in this battle?”

And expanding your ki senses, you can tell that there are at least a dozen more of the Mindslayers all either currently attacking, or rapidly-approaching the city.

What will you do?
>Attack the creatures still in the city, give them a change to regroup before those approaching reach the city
>Let them defend their own city, if they're not capable of defeating a small force like this they won't be of any help to you
>Leave the forces here in their city to them, attack the forces approaching and eliminate them before they become a problem

"I'll attack the ones here in the city and give your people time to regroup." you reply telepathically, clenching your fists and with a moment's focus transform. Taking on your Berserker form displaces a whole lot of water, which surges out from you and nearly knocks the champion Rak'kari over. “But I can't stay down here long, the rest of them will be up to you all.”
“Understood, surface-dweller.” the champion replies, you expanding your ki sense and focusing on the unique ki signatures of the five remaining Mindslayers of the village. “Good hunting.”
“I'll be another minute or two down here, the two of you should head back to the island.” you think to Tatsu and Tomi as you orient yourself on the closest Mindslayer and dash towards it. As you close in towards the beast, you end the link with the twins and think to Meloka. “They're on their way back.”

“And where are you?” she asks, you almost able to see her brow raise questioningly as you see one opening it's mouth, and biting one of the crab-like people right in half. You focus your ki, and with a swing of your hand fire off a blazing emerald Death Slash.
“I'm down here with the Rak'kari, helping clear out a bunch of these monsters.” you reply as your blade of ki cleanly decapitates the beast. “Better to handle them down here before the Rak'kari are overrun.”
“Better hurry, or we're going to start eating without you.” she replies, and then ends the connection. As she does, you feel your own stomach growl as well and realize that you're hungry. Better finish this quick and get to breakfast.

“I'll make this quick.” you think to yourself, and reaching back draw the ancient blade from your back. As it clears the scabbard the weapon expands, growing to match your own growth from your normal form into your Berserker one. You then grasp the sword with both hands, and orienting on the next nearest Mindslayer immediately charge towards it. Focusing your ki as you charge, the blade begins emitting it's unmistakable azure aura. Which seemingly attracts the Mindslayer, it abandoning the couple dozen Rak'kari it's attacking and turns its full focus onto you. And as the beast begins opening it's mouth to unleash that powerful psychic screech, you swing first. Unleashing a devastating cutting blade of energy you can't actually sense directly at the creature. Your attack reaches the monster before it can scream, cutting the top half of it's head free of the body and staining the water around the injury crimson immediately. But using this weapon has unintended consequences, and you sense the other three all surging towards you with surprising speed.

“Well that just makes things easier on me.” you think to yourself, feeling a dull ache in your chest as your lungs start demanding air. Which is a good thing the three are approaching you together then, you can take them all out in one shot. Once more you channel your energy into the blade, pouring more and more in causing the sword's aura to blaze up around the blade unmistakably as the three deep sea monsters charge. Then, once they're all close enough, you swing! Spinning in a full circle, you unleash the weapon's stored energy. But this time, instead of a simple Death Slash-like blade, the energy forms a rapidly-expanding cutting ring out from the sword's tip. Your jaw drops as the circle of death cuts the three attacking beasts apart, having never seen the energy do this before. But then your lungs again remind you that you need to leave, and NOW.

“There. I've bought you all time I can, I need to go.” you think to the champion Rak'kari, realizing you don't know his name as you bring your right hand to your forehead. Then without waiting for a response focus on Meloka's ki, and with a monent's concentration teleport. Your Instant Transmission brings you back to the surface, appearing back on the beach beside your wife and kids, most of whom are eagerly digging into their meals. You take a deep breath, reveling in the ability to breathe for several moments before sighing out, transforming back down, and re-sheathing your weapon. “There, that should keep those monsters busy awhile.”

“I told you this wasn't a good idea.” Meloka tells you telepathically as Karn Jr suckles, Okira looking up at you curiously. “The kids need to stay out of the water.”
“I agree, at least until we handle that Abyss problem.” you reply, aloud and not telepathically. “You already get something to eat?”
“Not yet, we have plenty.” she says, you walking around and seeing what everyone caught. Broly, to your surprise got three of the vicious sharks himself, sensing that Tatsu and Tomi wouldn't have gotten anything if they'd nearly been killed by a Mindslayer. Having been on the receiving end of one of their attacks before, he no doubt understood they wouldn't be bringing anything back. You take a share from his third one, which he offered you, and bring it back so you and your wife can eat. Everyone eats their fill of seafood over the next half hour or so, ready to return to a more normal schedule. That is, until you sense a singular powerlevel approaching. You rise to your feet, turning to face your friend as he suddenly appears overhead.

“Good morning, General.” Freeza says, slowly descending until he lands directly in front of you. “It would seem that my ship will be arriving shortly, and I must be on my way. Father has requested I visit him, then I shall be investigating those 'Dragon Balls' that you and Kazuma spoke of on Planet Namek. So I won't be back here on your world for some time.”
“Need any help?” you ask, ready to go if needed, but he shakes his head and waves you off with a smile.
“No, for this mission your power shouldn't be needed. You've earned your rest, and time here on the world you fought to save.” Freeza tells you. “But if I do need your help, I certainly will let you know.”

“Thanks, Lord Freeza.” you say, offering your hand to him. “For everything.”

"There is something you should be aware of, before you go." you say, and quickly explain to him what happened this morning. How you'd encountered that Zoldyck assassin Illumi as he'd confronted Silver, what all you'd told him, then add in telepathically how the two of you'd lied to him, and convinced him the Lin Kuei have the amulet. His brows furrow as you explain this, hand going to his chin as he ponders what you're telling him. And once you've said your piece, he remains silent for several seconds.

“I see.” Freeza says finally. “I trust that Silver is working in our best interest, and not the second member of your crew to turn against us?”
“I trust him.” you say after a moment's consideration. “I know who and what he was, but he's no traitor.”
“I understand, and will trust your judgment.” he says. “If anything else happens, let me know. I will tell Father what you told me, and will reach out through the official channels. But if that is all, then I really do need to go get ready. Kazuma should be with Raven by now.”
“Wait, is Yunyun here too?” Megumin asks him suddenly, speaking up for the first time this morning. You both glance over to her, seeing Chilli and Megumin sitting together and having been eating the cooked meat of several small, silvery fish instead of any massive sea monster.

“I do not know, I haven't been to the Guardian's Island this morning.” he replies, then suddenly his eyes widen in surprise. His expression then hardens, turning to you with a look that tells you something is clearly WRONG. “I have to go. Now.”

And without another word he explodes off the ground, blitzing directly towards Raven's Island. Strange.

But what about you?

"Karn? What's wrong hun?" Meloka asks, her expression mirroring your own worry.
"Something's going down on Raven's Island." you say, raising your hand to your forehead as you follow Freeza's ki. "I'll be right back."
“What's going down there?” Chilli asks, his expression darkening. “That bastard Kazuma didn't bring trouble with him, did he?”
“No clue.” you reply, feeling Freeza's ki stopping close to Raven's, as well as several weaker powerlevels. “But I'm going to find out.”

And with a small effort of will focus, and use your Instant Transmission to teleport directly to Freeza's side. And as you appear, the scene before you is quite confusing. You see several weak people hiding behind that powerfully-built blonde woman who'd wanted you to hit her back on the Crimson Demon people's planet. You see Yunyun isn't one of them, and see her actually standing beside Raven in her fully-demonic form as the two of them face down three unfamiliar figures. Only one of them is still standing, a rather portly being as big around as it is tall, with two lanky figures down on the ground but clearly not yet dead. The round being's aura is clearly similar to Raven's, nearly-identical in fact. Great, more demons.

“Light of Saber!” Yunyun shouts, pitching a bolt of crackling lightning towards the fat man. Who seemingly opens his mouth, and eats the attack! But in that moment Raven blurs forward, and delivers a powerful turning right kick to the fat demon's gut that sends it flying backwards.
“GWOAH!” it roars, Raven's attack sending it splashing into the ocean as she blitzes after him, not giving the demon time to escape.
“And here I thought my power would be necessary.” Freeza says, glancing aside to you and smirking. “Seems you thought the same thing.”
“Yeah. Don't want anything to happen to Raven.” you reply, looking over the two gaunt demons laying seemingly-unconscious on the sand. “But it seems she's taken her training to heart at least.”
“Karn?” Yunyun asks, looking up curiously to see the two of you. “And Freeza? When did you two get here?”

“We just arrived.” Freeza says, and pointedly looks to the unconscious demons on the ground. “I would say just in time, but clearly you all didn't need our help.”
“Raven is very powerful, moreso than I expected.” Yunyun says, and gestures to the unconscious demons. “And more than they did, too.”
“Should we finish them off?” Freeza asks you, a note of disinterest in his tone. “Or should we leave them for Raven to finish off.”
“I would attack them, and right now.” Kazuma says, suddenly speaking up. “They called Raven their 'Sister', and were talking about reviving her father too!”
“They WHAT?!” you and Freeza shout together, turning towards the young man in shock. Did he just say what you thought he said?

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 171 paused-

And that's it for tonight, everyone ready to send Freeza off on his own journey tomorrow? Curious what these demons' plan was, and what they'd hoped to achieve by coming here? All this and hopefully more, when this episode continues at noon EST!

"The hell do you mean, reviving Trigon?" you ask, turning fully to the youth and away from the unconscious forms. "That's impossible, I destroyed that demon."
"Hey, I believe you." he replies, still keeping the body of his more powerful and armored female companion between himself and the two demons. "But that's what the one in the suit said. He said that if they sacrificed her, they would be able to bring him back to life."

At this you and Freeza exchange a glance, remembering just how powerful that monstrous demon was. It had bested Freeza with his golden power after all, Meloka, Ubo, and even King Cold too were all bested. Even Raven herself couldn't defeat that abomination, and only with your Stand's power were you able to finally put that monster down for good. If it were to be revived, your planet could be in serious trouble.

“We cannot allow that to happen.” Freeza says decisively, turning and firing a pair of Death Beams through the heads of the two unconscious demons. Who don't even make a sound, their bodies swiftly decomposing into glowing motes of light and fully disappearing after only a few seconds. “Karn, assist-”

But before he can continue his sentence, the fat demon is launched up and out of the sea. Raven then suddenly appears right beside it, firing off a quick half-dozen kick barrage to it's fat gut with her left foot before spinning, and with a turning right kick send the portly demon crashing to the ground by the two of you. Raven then descends, landing on the opposite side of him from you and Freeza, her expression furious.

“You killed the other two? Fine.” Raven says, and with seeming ease fires off four quick slashes, similar to your Death Slashes, and remove the demon's limbs. It howls in pain, waking back up and thrashing in agony. However, without it's limbs, the out-of-shape demon isn't going anywhere. “I can make this one talk.”
“I'll never talk!” the demon squeaks defiantly, his high-pitched squeaky voice not matching his body. “You blood traitor! I would die for our father! You don't deserve to have his blood flowing through your veins!”
“And my mother didn't deserve what he did to her either, but what's done is done.” she replies, lifting the portly demon with her telekinesis and glaring in it's face. “Now, you're going to tell me everything I want to know. First of which, is why the hell do you monsters think that you can just revive Trigon?”

“Seems this situation is under control.” Freeza mutters to you. “I don't think our assistance will be necessary.”

"She does seem to have this situation under control." you reply, watching as the portly demon tries squirming out of her psychic grip. “But I'm going to stick around a while longer, just in case anyone else shows up.”
“Been that sort of morning?” he asks, and as Raven interrogates the demon who refuses to talk you tell him about what happened this morning in the water. How Tatsu and Tomi were attacked by the Mindslayers, and the Rak'kari city being under attack as well.
“Seems you've had quite the eventful morning.” Freeza says, Raven creating a shadowy hand of dark energy and shoving her new claws straight into the demon's guts.

“You'd better start talking, or this is going to get painful for you.” Raven snarls, and with a twisting motion rips and tears out a stream of the demon's entrails.
“RRREEEEEEE!!” he squeals like a stuck pig, thrashing madly but still unable to escape her telekinetic grip.
“TALK!!” she snarls, slashing him with her claws across his fat face forehand and backhand, and again the demon reeees in pain. “TELL ME! What are you bastards planning?”
“You'll see soon enough, dear sister.” the demon says, suddenly grinning as black blood pours out from it's mouth. “Until we meet again.”

Then suddenly the demon's body begins expanding, inflating to well over double his original size, and you realize with horror what's about to happen.

“Raven MOVE!” you shout, putting yourself between Yunyun and the demon and holding out your hand create your energy shield. “BARRIER!”

And then the demon simply explodes. A fiery blast consumes it, and immediately engulfs Raven as well. Your shield protects yourself and Megumin's friend Yunyun, the woman who likes pain taking the blast for her friends as well. Freeza activates his own Barrier as well, everyone avoiding the blast except for Raven. Who, as the blast ends and the smoke fades, see had activated her own shield just in time as well. Seems it's last resort was all for nothing.

“Thanks for the warning.” Raven says deadpan, then turns her attention to Kazuma's group as you all deactivate your shields. “Are you all alright?”
“Y-yeah, I think so.” Kazuma says, putting a hand on the taller woman's shoulder. “Darkness? You okay?”
“No. That blast wasn't even a good one.” she complains, frowning as she dusts the sand off the front of her armor. “Didn't even feel it.”
“Well, I'll leave you all to it.” you say, raising your right hand to your forehead. And after a moment's focus, teleport back to your family.

“Everything okay?” Meloka asks, you nodding the affirmative.
“Raven had some demons appear, and took them out.” you tell her, then turn to Megumin. “Her kind, not yours.”
“Is Yunyun okay?” she asks, clearly worried about her friend.
“They're all okay, Raven didn't need my help.” you reply, Megumin sighing out in relief as Chilli wraps an arm around her shoulders and hugs her to his side. “I almost felt bad for them. Almost.”

After that excitement your day returned more to normal, you all leaving your own island after washing breakfast off of you and flying over to Raven's island for the former Guardian's spirit to instruct the kids in the Su Ma technique while you and Broly meditate. Upon arrival Freeza and Yunyun's group both are gone, no doubt in the city waiting for the Emperor's ship to arrive. Training proceeds as normal, no further events happening out of the ordinary until the end of their practice when your old man Tatsu arrives.

“Granpa!” Maz and Kayle shout excitedly, rushing over to him and leaping directly at his chest. He manages to catch them both without getting knocked over, chuckling a bit as he holds the two of them.
“You two been behaving?” he asks, the younger twins “Yes Sir!”ing him enthusiastically. He sets them both down by his foot, then turns his attention to you. “Morning, Karn. Do you have a minute?”

"Tatsu? What's wrong?" you ask, realizing from his tone that something's clearly bothering him. Maz and Kayle also seem to realize that something's wrong, looking up at him in confusion.
“We need to talk, just the two of us.” he says, your youngest twins looking at you concerned.
“Sure thing.” you reply, Tatsu nodding to you then begins ascending into the air. You follow him up into the sky, suddenly worried as to what your old man wants to talk about. The two of you fly far up into the sky, far enough to see the Guardian's Island, your own island where your flightless ship remains, the city, and even the arena where Broly and Chilli had their climactic final round of the tournament all below.

“It's beautiful, isn't it?” he asks, not looking at you but down at the world below. “We've come a long way from the days of scrounging around Planet Vegeta for whatever scraps we could eat.”
“Yeah.” you reply, remembering back to your childhood, and the many hungry days you'd endured when you couldn't find anything to eat. “We made it.”
“Yeah. We did.” he says, seemingly lost in thought as he gazes down at the planet below. “I had never envisioned such a life, not even in my dreams. Yet here we are.”
“Everything okay?” you ask, Tatsu raising his gaze to meet your own. The lines on his face stand out in stark relief to the many scars covering him, your old man's one good eye meeting yours unflinchingly for a few seconds. Then a coughing fit takes him over, his entire body spasming as he coughs violently. You reach out, Tatsu waving you off, and as he does you see his fist is covered in his own blood!

“I'm dying, son.” he says, his words hitting you like a fist in the gut. “Just left that old doc's place, I'm not going to be around for much longer. I only have a few hours left.”

Your entire body goes cold, this can't be! Your old man's tougher than anyone you've ever met, he can survive anything! He CAN'T be dying, not him!

“Then let's go, there's no time to waste! Caulifla can-!” you start, turning to head back down, when his hand clamps down on your shoulder. His grip halts you in place, you turning and meeting his gaze once more. “Tatsu?”
“I've lived a long time, son. Longer than any other warrior can claim.” he continues, a small smile on his face. “I've watched our people grow from a few small tribes struggling to survive to a power feared across the universe. My own flesh and blood fulfilled the prophecy, becoming the Legendary Super Saiyan. But this isn't my world. My time is done, Karn, this world of peace isn't for me. It's time for you all to take up the mantle of teaching the next generations, taking the lessons us of the old guard passed down, and giving our hard-won knowledge to them.”

As he talks, you can't believe that your old man's just giving up like this. He's never quit fighting in his life, always pushing through whatever obstacles lay in his path to keep surviving. But here he is, speaking as if he's already dead.

“You...You can't go. Not yet.” you say, feeling more like a youngster again than a father with his own children. “We need you. I need you.”
“No, son. You don't need me anymore.” he says with a sad smile, laying his hand on your head. “You haven't needed me and my help for a long time now. But I do need yours.”

As he says this you snap to attention, realizing what he's about to ask. And you aren't sure that you're strong enough for what you know is coming.

“A warrior doesn't die old and helpless in bed. A true warrior must fall in battle.” Tatsu continues, your vision surprisingly getting a bit blurry. “Fight me, my son. Prove to me you're strong enough to bear the weight of our people's future on your shoulders, and show me just how powerful you are. Prove that I can die without regrets, or worries about the future of our race.”

Well? What do you say to this?

>You can't do it, you can't be the one to end your old man. Not yet, you still need him

"Are you sure? If you die, you'll be subjected to whatever fate the 'gods' of the afterlife deem fit for you.” you say seriously. “They might torture you for living like a Saiyan should. Are you really going to be fine letting that happen? It might be a while before I can change that."
“HA! Change that, he says!” Tatsu exclaims, laughing. Which leads him into another agonized coughing fit. “Haaa. But yes, I am ready for whatever my fate will be. Who knows, perhaps wherever my soul ends up, I'll get to see your mother Tomi again. Now, fight me! Show me the results of all those years I spent training you. Show me everything you've got, and don't hold back!”

“Alright. I understand.” you reply, clenching your fists and letting your powerful aura blaze up around you while taking the fighting stance your old man had taught you to take. Left leg forward and left arm up parallel, held defensively before you as you bring your right fist up to your waist, held at the ready. He nods once, taking a mirrored stance with his good right arm held up defensively, gesturing for you to come at him. So you do, charging forward at a speed you think he can manage and throw a right directly at his guard. But your old man doesn't block, instead spins out around your attack with the Su Ma technique he'd picked up from the old Guardian and kicks you in the side of your head with his left shin. You can barely even feel it, and spin counterclockwise with a powerful backfist. Tatsu's out of range, but the sheer force of your swing sends a powerful gust of air slamming into your old man and knocking him back away from you. He flips back several times before finally reorienting himself.

“Is that all you've got?” he taunts, raising his right hand and firing a barrage of ki blasts towards you. But instead of activating your Barrier and trivializing the attack you charge forward, swatting the energy orbs aside and rapidly closing the distance between the two of you. He quits firing the orbs, and kicks up with his one good foot shrouded in energy as he flips backwards. His Death Slash fires right at you, but you activate your Energy Body and cross your arms before you. His blade bites into your shielding ki, but is unable to cut through it enough to so much as scratch you before you throw your arms in separate directions, shattering the blade. And then you're in range, firing off a quick right punch to the old man's gut. “Guuuoooah!”

Blood sprays from Tatsu's mouth as your punch sends him flying, flipping backwards for several seconds before finally stopping himself. You see blood has poured down his front, soaking his armor as he wipes his mouth on the back of his hand.

“Did I teach you to stop and gawk at your enemy after only landing a single hit?” he asks, flaring his green aura up around him as he brings his hand to his chest. Then as he draws his hand back, you can see him gathering energy into his palm for what will no doubt be his final attack. “Use your full power, and never hold back! Fight every threat like it is life or death!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17rpm63gm-4

His words ring in your mind, bringing you back to some of your earliest memories as Tatsu instructed you, Nappa, Leyas, Sarada, Turles, and the other kids around your age from the village in how to fight, and how to win.

“This world is kill or be killed! Your enemies will show you no mercy, so show them none!” Tatsu calls and charges up his ki. You choose to copy is own attack as a final gesture of respect, drawing your right arm back as he does, ki gathering into a powerful mass in your palm as he continues instructing you one final time.

“The fate of our people will rest on your shoulders, and how well you can fight!” both the Tatsu before you and the one from your memories say in sync, your vision once again blurring as for a moment you feel your resolve buckling. “You must be strong! Strong enough to fight through any pain, and do whatever it takes to win! Losing means death, not only for you but for everyone you care about! So win, no matter the cost!”

Then your memories change, to the day you'd first fought side by side with your old man against a Tuffle attack. Your mindthen flashes through all the battles you'd fought with your old man at your side over the years, how he was always there by you when you'd needed him most. How his face got more and more scarred over the years, but always had a smile in his eyes when the two of you'd talked even before finding out he was your father. Then you relive that revelation, and the events of your lives until now, the two of you gathering your energy for a final blast.

“I entrust the future of our race to you, my son.” he says, with a roar throws his hand out towards you. “FINAL SHINE-!!”
“ATTACK!” you roar with him, father and son firing their attacks simultaneously. Your energy is far more powerful than Tatsu's overpowering it near-instantly and consuming your old man as well. Your beam obliterates your old man's frail body, his ki vanishing in an instant. You end the attack with a heavy heart, gazing at the space he'd occupied only moments before.
“Never give up, my son.” you hear, as if your old man were speaking to you from beyond. “You've made me proud. Karn.”

And so passed the last of the Saiyan old guard who'd grown up long before the PTO's time. His name was Tatsu; a proud, Saiyan warrior.

He went out like a proud Saiyan warrior, facing death without fear.
>>5194581
Karn’s hardest battle to date, for sure.
>>
>>5194595
Alright so question time.
How long is Tatsu gonna be waiting in line before he gets processed by King Yemma?
Did he actually get sent to Hell or was he looked on favorably enough to be reincarnated immediately?
If he did get sent to Hell, did he retain his original body?
>>
>>5194595
How many Gods are watching this and sitting in the sidewing of Yemma's office right now looking for our dad?
>>

>>5194610

Yes. His time in this world has reached it’s end, and he’s now on to the next journey.
>>
>>5194669
>he’s now on to the next journey
Not just any journey mind you.
This is an adventure in the world of bureaucracy. The most exciting of the administrative realms.
Real talk though, did Meloka or any of the kids sense Karn cutting loose and Tatsu's ki subsequently disappearing?
Would they understand why Tatsu asked us to do what he did?
>>
>>5194669
Karn will definitely need some time alone to reflect and maybe cry.
Inb4 someone like the Boi decides to bother him in that moment.
>>
>>5196195

They were on the island below, watched the whole thing unfold. We’ll address more of that in the epilogue.
>>5196348
Not now, as there’s kids to raise and students to teach. But next arc, and with someone who’d understand
>>
>>5196348
If he knows what's good for him he doesn't he'll fuck off from Karn's timeline for atleast a month, or else no time lord in existence will save him from righteous Saiyan warrior fury.

I supposed that's good, but we're still gonna need to sit down and have a talk with the kids about cultural customs after this.

Hey, for all I know it could have been Leyas or Nappa.

So how do you guys think Karn wants to go when he gets old (if he survives that long). Oddly enough I see him having a peaceful death, surrounded by the family he spent so long fighting for and protecting.
>>
>>5196895
Probably that, up until BOI thinks he can show up and try to swipe a Geriatric Kill on our deathbed.
>>
>>5196989
lol Karn would still kill him with a final Red Dawn
>>
Of course, if the kids were around the bed that might not be an option, but by that stage any single one of the kids could just snap Trunks' neck.
>>
>>5196994
Obviously, but only after using the Force to choke the little shit and drag him over to our hand. So we can feel the life end as we move on.
>>
>>5196996
They know not to take Dad's favorite toy away at the end.
>>
>>5196989
>The BOI thinks he can finally end Karn when he's literally on his deathbed and """defenseless"""
>Teleports behind Karn and goes for the kill
>only ends up getting kicked in the balls by karn and then torn apart piece by piece by his family and his friends
Why does The BOI think he'll ever stand a chance against Karn when a good deal of his associates are stronger than him?
>>
>>5197107
....maybe all the nutshots Vegeta got was cannon, and that gave Trunk's deficient brains. Or maybe Bulma juice made a weird high functioning tard baby.
>>
>>5197111
Ok, hear me out. But it might've been the Time Loli's propoganda formula that ended up stunting Trunks' brain growth. Nobody ever talks about the side effects when its so delicious.
>>
>>5196994
Somehow I don't think it would go down quite like that.
>Karn lays in the hospital, old and battered, his breathing labored
>In the dead of night, a flash illuminates the room
>Trunks appears, having mastered the Super Saiyan Blue 3 form, covered head to toe in enchanted plate armor
>"You're not getting away this time. You WILL pay for your crimes!"
>"You've been saying the same thing...for forty years..."
>"And this time it's the truth! Your body can't handle your Berserk transformation anymore, much less the Supervillain form."
>As Trunks falls into monologuing again, Karn slowly rises from his bed
>Suddenly Karn looks like a man barely 50 years old, his stature absolutely dwarfing Trunks even is his base form
>"H-how?!"
>"Gotta look good in front of my wife, now don't I?"
>"Wha-"
>Trunks' head flies off as a 5'2" blur spins behind him
>>

>>

>Why does The BOI think he'll ever stand a chance against Karn when a good deal of his associates are stronger than him?
When you think you're fighting for a righteous cause, all manner of delusions can occur.
It's a shame that Trunks didn't have the balls to tell Chronoa to fuck off when she tried to press him for time-traveling way back when.
>>
>>5197121
He wouldn't be a good dog if he did that.

Here’s a question for you all to discuss and ponder over while I keep writing this epilogue: who’s the most caring of all Karn’s children?
>>
>>5197718
Cauli seems the clear answer here, doesn't she?
>>
>>5197718
Gut answer is Caulifla given how dedicated she is to the people around her, but as far as who would probably be the most doting and attentive to their loved ones?
Probably Chilli. He knows what it's like to be ignored.
>>
>>5197718
this is a good summation>>5197723
But I want to add Broly wanting to be the hardest wall for his siblings to protect the family.
>>
>>5197722
She likes helping people, and enjoys taking away pain and injuries.
>>5197723
Oof. But he does understand, now at least, that inattentiveness doesn’t necessarily mean dislike.
>>5197726
He is willing to take the hits for his family, much as he sees his father do
>>
>>5197718
Either Broly or Chilli. They may not outwardly express it the same as Chaya or Cauli but they care about things way more than the others.

Broly cares enough to want to change who he is and how his very brain works. Chilli cares enough to put the weight of reality itself on his back.

If you mean affectionate it's totally Cauli though. Just about made of hugs she is.
>>
>>5197751
Broly has always been a sensitive boy. Ever since he and Chaya were in the little cribs all those years ago.
Chilli learned that expressing feelings is about protecting those you love above all, even if it means not spending much time with them. Something Megumin’s been trying to work on.
Caulifla tries very hard to always be smiling and optimistic, no matter what she really feels on the inside. She tries really really hard to meet what others expect of her
>>
>>5197718
Couldn't be Maz, Kayle, Okira, Karn Jr, or Tatsu
I honestly forgot about the existence of two of them and had to look at the powerlevel sheet to remember
>>
>>5197761
I am still worried for Caulifla reaching her limit. She needs a release.
>>
>>5197781
The real question is whether or not Karn is aware of two things.
>the fact that Caulifla does nothing but train and heal people
>the not so obvious fact that Caulifla is almost ALWAYS bright and cheerful, like way too much
>>
>>5197762
One of the challenges of having so many kids.
>>5197781
It isn’t a facade one can keep up forever, especially once trouble hits too close.
>>5197795
She has friends, but besides the one you met that she saved, does she have any her own age? Or are they all adults who always thank her/call upon her for what she can do?
>>
>>5197795
We need to buy the kid a puppy.
>>
>>5197958
She doesn't need a pet, she needs somebody she can actually talk to.

Alright, I have to say this now because the timeline for me isn’t changing: I won’t be able to run this weekend. Between family plans Sunday, and this story-essential epilogue kicking the shit outta my feels, I’m not going to be ready. Hopefully Saturday I’ll be able to finish it, but it’s hard to type on a keyboard when it’s raining. Not gonna lie, didn’t expect losing the old man to hit ME this hard. -Saiyan Conqueror Quest 171 Epilogue-

AGE 750, GUARDIAN'S ISLAND

“Woah! Look at Daddy!” your little sister Kayle shouts, you following her pointing finger up to see your dad facing down grandpa Tatsu, his emerald aura blazing wildly as he suddenly takes his fighting stance for some reason. “Are he an' Grandpa gonna train?”
“Karn....” you hear your mother, Meloka, say almost worriedly. Almost as if she knows something's about to go down. And then to your shock, Dad charges at Grandpa Tatsu!
“What is he doing?!” your younger sister Caulifla shouts, panic in her voice. “If they fight at full power, he'll kill him!”
“Worry, for your grandfather, you should not.” your Teacher says, you and everyone else all turning towards him in confusion. “Picked this battle, he has.”

“Wait, he challenged Dad?” Broly asks, looking just as lost as you feel. “Why?”
“First, this battle, we should watch.” the late Guardian's projected spirit says, returning his gaze to the sky as your grandpa stops his backwards spinning, and actually seemingly taunts your dad.
“Is that all you've got?” he shouts loud enough for you all to hear, continuing his backwards retreat while raising his right and only hand, firing a barrage of ki shots towards your dad. Your old man Karn charges through them, swatting the shots aside and quickly closing the distance. Then catches the kicked Death Slash with his Energy Body, shattering it then fires off a powerful punch to your grandfather's guts.

“Grandpa!” Caulifla shouts, immediately trying to launch herself into the air. But to your surprise, your mother gets between them, catching your younger sister and wrapping her in her arms. “Momma? What are you doing, I gotta help him! If they keep going, Daddy's gonna-!”
“If they keep going, Tatsu is gonna die.” your mother says, shocking you, Caulifla, and everyone. You look around, seeing even Guardian Raven's shocked face. In fact, the only ones who don't look surprised are your mom, and the former Guardian. Who notices your gaze, and meets it with a sad-seeming smile. You are Chilli, son of Karn, husband to Megumin and currently you are completely confused. Your grandfather would know that challenging your old man in this state, no matter how much he tries to hold back, would be near-certain death. So why is he doing this? Why is he....Wait. Hold on....Is he-Is he TRYING to die? You immediately snap the fingers of your left hand, summoning the ancient tome to your hand to connect with the very essence of Death itself.

As your hand grasps the ancient tome, you feel it's magic begin coursing through your very bones. Your consciousness shifts, becoming more aware of the strength of the life forces around you. And as you do, you notice two very distinct things. First, the Guardian isn't exactly alive, barely more than a shade, an imprint of his soul left behind inside his holocron to preserve his teachings. Second, and more importantly, Tatsu's dying!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP0WAxRS7rY

He doesn't have more than a couple days, maybe a week at most before his life will inevitably reach it's end. But more than that, you can almost SEE the long life he's lived. His spirit's aura blazes far more powerfully than his ki as he charges himself up to full power, in fact his soul seems to be blazing far greater than anyone else's here. It shines more than twice as powerfully brilliant, a testament to the many, many years he's been alive and what all he's seen and been through. He's lived a full life, and it's his time to exit this world. But just like your old man, it seems he's not going out without making it a fight.

“This world is kill or be killed! Your enemies will show you no mercy, so show them none!” Tatsu roars, drawing his only hand back as he begins gathering a surprising amount of ki. Your father mirrors his father, and you can clearly tell who's going to win. “You must be strong! Strong enough to fight through any pain, and do whatever it takes to win! Losing means death, not only for you but for everyone you care about! So win, no matter the cost!”
“Daddy no!” Kayle shouts, sounding distraught.
“TATSU!!”Caulifla calls out desperately, still held in your mother's grip.
“Gran-paa!” Maz calls out, but no one can stop what's happening now.

“FINAL SHINE ATTACK!!” both Karn and Tatsu shout, your father and grandfather firing their destructive waves at each other. Your dad's beam hits your grandfather's, and within a second has completely overwhelmed Tatsu's. It's over in a flash, your grandfather's ki vanishing almost instantly. But he's not fully gone, not immediately, as for a moment or two you can still 'see' his spiritual presence hovering by your father before it vanishes as well. Most of your siblings start crying immediately, surprisingly Chaya is the first you hear sob. Yet you can't look away, your dad just relaxing in the air and looking at his hand. You get the feeling that your dad's suddenly feeling very sad, and want nothing more to fly up and hug him in this moment. But before you, or any of your siblings can do anything, a familiar voice speaks.

“And so, passed on from this life, the father of Karn has. Last of the old guard, he was, and a proud warrior to the end.” the late Guardian says, you all turning to face him. “Gone from this world, he is. But forgotten, he will not be.”
“Why?” Caulifla asks, your sister sounding just broken as she sobs against your mother. “Why did you stop me? I could'a saved him. I could'a made him better, like I did every week.”
“A caring child, you are, with a brilliant soul.” the former Guardian says, addressing her directly as she cries with a sigh. “But save him, you could not.”
“I could have at least tried!” she fires back, spinning to face him as she literally bursts into flames. Your mother recoils as she does, the heat clearly burning her as she gets clear to protect Karn Jr, but Caulifla pays her no mind. Her furious, burning gaze is focused entirely on the ancient being's spirit. “I learned a bunch of new healing spells, and I could'a done something, anything to save him! He didn't have to die!!”

“Everyone dies, child. Even I passed on from this realm.” the Guardian addresses her, floating up and laying a ghostly hand on her shoulder while he's immune to her flames. “His time, it was, to leave the mortal plane behind.”
“But it didn't have to be!” Caulifla shouts, you feeling the pain in her voice. “Not yet! I could have saved him! Why don't you believe in me?!”

Then to her surprise, and despite the flames, another hand presses on her other shoulder. You see your older brother Broly there, jaw clenched shut against the pain as you see his hand burning, then as she turns around he grabs her in a full bear hug. After a second or two you can smell your brother's flesh burning, bringing back terrible memories of your worst day, but despite the clear pain he's in your stalwart brother doesn't let go. Caulifa can't even speak any more, just sobbing and wailing against him as her burning flames slowly die out. Her agonized cries cause you to tear up as well, you feeling a pair of gentle, fragile arms slip around you from behind. Glancing over your shoulder, you see your wife's worried face, her eyes meeting yours.

“I...I'm okay.” you tell her, choking on your words as you try and speak past the lump in your throat. She leans a bit more forward, pressing her forehead to yours, and the two of you remain like this while the former Guardian starts speaking again.
“Like this, your Grandfather wished to see you not.” the ancient spirit says, you not looking over as he talks and simply listening to his words. “Your faces, smiling and happy, he wanted to remember you by. Your smiles, not these tears; wish to take on with him, he did.”

“But why?” Maz asks, your younger brother clearly upset. “Why did grandpa wanna go?”
“Yeah!” Kayle asks him, the two clearly upset.
“A warrior, your grandfather was.” the late Guardian says with a sigh. “Tradition, it was, among the old Saiyans. Death in battle: the highest honor, it was, long before Cold's influence on your people. Befitting of a warrior, such a death was. Not to grow old, and die weak in bed. With his honor, your grandfather passed. Smiling upon him, from the afterlife, his friends will be.”

“But why did he have to leave us?” Caulifla asks, sounding a bit hoarse. “I could have saved him.”
“Prolonged his life, perhaps.” the former Guardian replies, as gentle as ever. “But save him? No. Inevitable, death is. For us all, one day, it comes.”
“Oh!” you say, suddenly remembering your duty and opening your tome. Flipping through the ancient book you flip to the back, the pages of the dead, and find a clear page. Then, as a sign of respect you create a small crystal to prick your finger, and begin writing in your own blood.
“What are you writing?” Megumin asks, and you say it as you write.
“Tatsu, father of Karn, beloved father and grandfather, died this day in glorious battle against impossible odds to protect his family.” you say, then instead of sprinkling ash over the page, you use your own crystal magic, sealing the blood to the page before tearing the page right out. Folding it carefully into three, you then point to the ground with the missive and focus your mana. “Death Magic: Envoy!”

And at your feet, a skeleton little larger than your young sister Okira appears, crawling up out of the sand. You hand it the letter, the skeleton clutching it to its chest as it begins to seemingly sink back into the sand.

“What did you do?” Chaya asks, sounding both worried and accusatory. “What was that?!”
“I just sent this to the afterlife.” you tell her, closing the tome and turning to face your sister. “Hopefully it will help him out.”
“Broly?” you hear your dad ask, all of you turning to see him looking to Broly and Caulifla with worry in his eyes. “What the hell happened? What did I miss?”
“Huh?” Caulifla asks, pulling back then freezing in shock as she sees how badly burned her older brother is. “Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, Triumph!”
“It's okay, I know what it's like to lose control.” he tells her, smiling as his burned flesh begins restoring itself over the next few seconds. “I know you didn't mean it Cauli.”

-Meanwhile, between worlds-

“You know, I could get used to this.” you say to yourself, floating and relaxing in the line of souls you find yourself in. The last thing you remember was a flash of light, and then you were here. You no longer had your body, which no doubt your son had obliterated with his final attack. But you no longer feel tired, or sick, or really anything. In this almost gas-like state, you really don't feel anything at all. Looking around, the yellow what you guess are clouds seemingly go on forever, the red and green path under you goes on infinitely behind you, but ends at what seems to be a fortress of some kind in the distance up ahead. You wonder what it could be, when suddenly you hear someone shouts from up ahead.

“Stay in line, single file!” a slightly-overweight blue demon shouts into some sort of device, it projecting his voice. “If you are caught skipping in line, you will be sent straight down to hell.”

You weren't exactly sure what the afterlife would look like before you died, but you doubt you'd have ever guessed it looked like this. Then, to your surprise, see another demon running across the clouds towards the blue one, waving something in his hand. It looks like a piece of paper, and you wonder what it could be. The blue demon reads it, then turns back into his voice projector and begins shouting.

“Tatsu, father of Karn! Is there a Tatsu, father of Karn in this line!?” he shouts, and you feel yourself sigh. Guess there really is no rest, even once you're dead.
“Here!” you call out, floating straight up as high as you can. Which is only another foot or two over those on the other sides of you, but the two demons spot you immediately. The red-skinned demon rushes over, with the missive back in his hands, and begins speaking.
“King Yemma has requested you be brought to the front of the line!” he says, in that sort of young enthusiastic way only kids can. Which reminds you of your own grandkids, and for a moment regret that you won't get to see them grow up any more. But you shake it off and follow the demon, cutting the line of clearly annoyed souls you're going ahead of them and directly to the fortress itself. Along the way the kid starts talking, and as he does you feel a small smile creeping up on your nonexistent face. “King Yemma almost never requests a specific soul be brought before him, but he got this from one of the Reapers just a few minutes ago. So either they want you sent right to hell immediately, or a Reaper is petitioning on your behalf. Isn't that exciting?”

“Does it say who sent it in?” you asks, the demon shaking his head.
“No. And I'm not supposed to show you, but...” the young demon kid says, looking around to see that the blue-skinned demon isn't looking, and opens the paper for you to see.
“Tatsu, father of Karn, beloved father and grandfather, died this day in glorious battle against impossible odds to protect his family.” you read, the crystallized blood on the page confirming what you'd thought about who was responsible. “He's a good kid.”

“You know a Reaper? They're so cool, I want to be one when I grow up!” the kid says, telling you how after he finishes his internship here he'll be eligible to start training, in a hundred years or so. But you then come to the massive double doors, which open inward seemingly on their own. Revealing an absolutely massive demon sitting behind a desk that is clearly too small for him.
“There you are. You sure took your sweet time.” the demon grumbles at the demon with you, then turns his gaze on you. “Tatsu, son of Barcolee and father of Karn. Step forward.”

You say nothing about your inability to actually step, and instead drift forward towards his desk. The demon towers over you, and even if you were in your Oozaru form he'd probably still be bigger.

“So, you're the one who raised up that monster.” the presumed King Yemma says, not even looking at you and instead looking inside a too-small book as he flips through. He then glances over, and seeing you his brows furrow. “After all the death you are responsible for, here you are. Are you ready to face your judgment?”
“I have nothing better to do.” you reply, ready to see what this demon has to say.
“Normally, one such as yourself would be sent straight to hell until you are reformed enough to be put through the Soul Cleansing Machine, and your soul reborn.” King Yemma says. “However, I see here from your file that you have spent time fighting and defeating many demons who'd broken free of the demon realm, and invaded the mortal plane. So, Tatsu son of Barcolee, father of Karn. I have an offer for you. You can either go to hell, and receive your punishment. Or, I can return you your body, and send you to the barrier between the mortal and demon realms. You can return to the fight, keeping demons from encroaching on the mortal realm, and the better you perform the lighter your sentencing will be once this issue is resolved. What do you say, Tatsu? Do we have a deal?”

“No rest for the weary, I suppose.” you say after a few moments consideration, and an instant later feel the ground beneath your foot. Looking down, you see your familiar, heavily-scarred body is back, and looking up see a halo above your head before meeting the giant demon's gaze. “Alright then, let's get to work.”

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 171 Epilogue End-
>>
>>5200210
Poor Old Man Tatsu can't get a break. Better being an immortal guard than being sent to hell, I suppose.
>>
>>5200205
Out already? Neat.
>>5200216
Let's be fair, he'd get bored without anything to do really quickly. Better to be busy, and more importantly STILL protecting his family.
>>
>>5200237
Yeah its out early due to a holiday coming at the 20th. I like to hear your thoughts on the last few chapters
>>
>>5200358
Not gonna say anything on it until we see where this goes. Hopefully this arc brings Goku closer to his end of Z self, as we've already seen with Vegeta's development.
>>
>>5200210
Please tell me they didn't restore Tatsu's body butt-naked. Did they at least give him his missing limbs?
Also, are they gonna give him any training before they send him to his post?
Which Kai is he under the jurisdiction of anyhow?
>>
>>5200204
Ohhh shit, I guess our Caulifla snapping is today.....
>>5200208
Our sons grew up well...Tatsu would be proud of them. And so it goes, the last lesson of old saiyans passes on, so the newest can treasure their lives even more for each other.
>>
>>5200210
Does Papa Tatsu have all his limbs?
>>
>>5200407
If we are with King Yemma, it should be King Kai. Pretty sure Tatsu won't need a lesson on how too kill demons.
>>
>>5200417
>Pretty sure Tatsu won't need a lesson on how to kill demons.
Yeah he can kill demons, but he could kill them BETTER.
Also imagine how much he could abuse a technique like the Kaioken now that he's dead.
>>
>>5200426
He'd have to get that training from King Kai, and Tatsu doesn't have the brain damage Goku did. Unless Chilli taught him the technique.
>>
>>5200442
>He'd have to get that training from King Kai
I know, hence why I asked which Kai was in charge of Tatsu's mortal soul earlier.
>Unless Chilli taught him the technique.
I'm fairly certain Chilli would refuse since that would probably pop Tatsu's mortal heart immediately.
>>
>>5200443
>I know, hence why I asked which Kai was in charge of Tatsu's mortal soul earlier.
Not like that round bug loving hippy would ask to meet Tatsu.
>I'm fairly certain Chilli would refuse since that would probably pop Tatsu's mortal heart immediately.
Well Chilli didn't realize until today that Tatsu was about to drop, remember, Karn had the heart problem till that got fixed, not Tatsu.
>>
>>5200445
>Not like that round bug loving hippy would ask to meet Tatsu.
Who knows? He might want to meet the guy who's apparently strong enough to raise a monster like Karn and had the connections needed to get a Reaper to vouch for him.
>Well Chilli didn't realize until today that Tatsu was about to drop, remember, Karn had the heart problem till that got fixed, not Tatsu.
He could have had another decade of life left and it still would have been a bad idea.
Say what you will about Tatsu, but it's clear that he was older than just about every Saiyan alive at the time and just didn't have the endurance for a technique like the Kaioken anymore.
>>
>>5200453
>Who knows? He might want to meet the guy who's apparently strong enough to raise a monster like Karn and had the connections needed to get a Reaper to vouch for him.
I seriously doubt that King Kai doesn't keep an eye on the family that brought Freeza to power.
>He could have had another decade of life left and it still would have been a bad idea.
And he knows how stubborn Tatsu can be, and us, and soon Chilli if he has a moment of self reflection again. He's weird for the Karn boys because he knows when he's being a butt.
>Say what you will about Tatsu, but it's clear that he was older than just about every Saiyan alive at the time and just didn't have the endurance for a technique like the Kaioken anymore.
Wouldn't stop him, he was still training the brats for Oozaru training last week. Endurance is a family trait.
>>
>>5200408
She’s getting closer to snapping, yes.
>>5200413
All he had when he passed on.
>>5200443
Yes Chilli hasn’t taught it to anyone. Remember, on New Salda it’s not even been a full day since everyone saw him use it for the first time.
>>5200445
Depends on how good his jokes are.
>>5200453
Very true. He wasn’t the oldest Saiyan, but was the oldest WARRIOR by more than a decade.
>>5200461
>He's weird for the Karn boys because he knows when he's being a butt.
He has a good wife helping keep his head on straight.
>Endurance is a family trait.
Very true, but Tatsu’s was at it’s end. He was only up and moving through sheer willpower, he should have been bedridden from the pain he was in.
>>
>>5200554
>All he had when he passed on
Oh for fucks sake, they can't give a vet his limbs back?
>Depends on how good his jokes are.
.....does it count if he's funny by accident?
>>
>>5200563
At this point, he’s grown too accustomed to his current body. He no longer perceives the missing limbs as “his”, if that makes sense.
Depends on if King Kai laughs
>>
>>5200570
So he just goes on stubbornly with his handicap, and won't think about it until someone says something. Typical grandpa.

So there is a chance then, is he watching Tatsu right now?
>>
>>5200586
He's spent so long without his left arm and right foot that he no longer misses them.
Not at the moment.
>>
>>5200613
But strangling a fucker is so much more fun when you have another hand to beat them, and a second leg means you kick twice as much. I hope someone mentions it is an option for him.
>>
>>5200616
Tatsu's not a grappler. He has his second leg, just nothing past halfway down his shin.
>>
>>5200618
....well, that wannabe reaper kid is gonna have a new idol real soon.
>>
Second epilogue this week will be a little different, focusing on another what-if so as to avoid potential spoilers. What if, Karn vs Karn vs Karn?

>>5200620
We’ll see.
>>
>>5201685
>What if, Karn vs Karn vs Karn?

Ha. This upcoming arc I’m excited for. Tatsu’s final passing and handing the torch of mentor over to Karn marks the near-end of Dynasty, and after the next episode we’ll be starting the next arc. Mindslayers, Remnants, longtime friends, Cyber Lin Kuei, arena deathmatches, various children’s traumas, and dragons ahead! But now I have to find new intro/outro themes, and come up with the new arc title as well.

>True. Calling someone a Nefarious is a somewhat-compliment
Something most Saiyan's won't get these days which is sad, just because an opponent is physically weaker than you, and uses their brains and equipment instead of ki blasts and brute strength, does NOT make them less dangerous. Especially if their a coward. A coward with a brain can think of more ways to ruin your day, than you can punch them in the face. A smart creative opponent can't be anything less than lethal if their weak, as close to lethal as they can get. Speaking of, have we had any Nefarious tier inventors come by to science of New Salda? Considering R&D's Skunkworks, I can only imagine how many aids get round up an sent to them to figure shit out.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 171 Epilogue II-

150,000 BEFORE AGE, SOMEWHERE IN THE DEMON REALM

“What the hell? Where am I?” you ask, as the blindingly bright light fades away. And the first thing you see is yourself, no, TWO of you looking just as disoriented as you feel. The one to your left is wearing a purple gi similar to Meloka's from your own timeline, a strange circular symbol on the left side of his chest and a familiar looking golden ring clipped to his ear. Whereas the one to your right isn't wearing any armor, just a simple training uniform with the white gloves and boots. And almost like mirrors you all raise your right hands, pointing accusatory fingers at each other. “Wait, who're you?”

Then before you can get an answer, suddenly there is a noise above you all. You whirl around, seeing a dark-cloaked form descending, with a smaller form beside him. Wait, is that...the Supreme Kai of Time? The figure then pulls back his hood, revealing the Demon God himself!

“Mechikabura!?” the gi-wearing Karn shouts, and as he blitzes the Demon God what looks like flames blaze up around him you can no longer sense his aura. He went down the path to divine power it seems. “Let her go!”
“Sit DOWN.” Mechikabura orders, doesn't move, and your godly counterpart simply drops. One moment he was flying at the demon god, the next he's sent crashing back down onto the ground down by you all at his feet.
“Guh!” that Karn exhales, landing on his feet and cracking the ground beneath him. “Tch! Dammit! What are you doing with the Supreme Kai of Time?”

“Oh, her? You shouldn't worry about her.” the Demon God says smoothly, grinning with barely-hidden malice. “She's been....Subdued. But for now, the three of you will compete for us.”
“And why should we?” you ask, the Demon God smirking down at the three of you. “What's stopping us from teaming up and slaughtering you ourselves?”
“Your love.” the Demon God taunts, snapping his fingers. And as three dark orbs appear behind him, you feel the bottom of your stomach fall out. Inside each of those orbs is a Meloka! Each woman is dressed slightly differently, but they're all unmistakably her! That bastard! “If each one of you does not fight with your full strength, your precious Meloka will suffer the consequences.”

The three of you share an uneasy glance, uncertain as to who's going to make the first move. But before any of you can speak Mechikabura continues.

“Once the battle is over, I shall return you all back to your own timelines with my pet Kai here's power, and undo the battle that has transpired here. So you are all free to battle as you wish, and use your full might without worry of consequences. I am simply curious as to which one of you is the most powerful version of yourself. So show me, Karns: which of you is the strongest!”

“Guess we're doing this now.” the armor-less Karn says, clenching his fists as the familiar golden glow of Super Saiyan blazes to life around him. Then as you watch he bulks up slightly, reddish pinkish fur sprouting on his upper body as his hair lengthens, the skin around his eyes also turning pink as he takes on the more Oozaru-like Super Saiyan form. “I was always curious if Super Saiyan Four was really the strongest. And since we're all roughly equal in base form, this should be fun.”
“Not likely. Without my friends and family, I would never have been able to achieve this level of power.” your godly counterpart says, crossing his arms before him as his flame-like aura blazes. “Now I'll show you real strength! HYAAAA!!”

His aura quickly shifts from fiery to a much calmer azure, his silhouette glowing almost white in the center of it. Then the light around his body begins breaking off, the shards of light carried upwards by his blazing divine energy and revealing that he does indeed have Super Saiyan Blue.

“This divine power is leagues above both of you.” he says cockily, does being a god always turn someone into a smug jackass? “Mortal energy just doesn't compare to godly ki in any-”
“RRRAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, cutting off his pretentious-sounding babble as you dig deep into that golden well of power. Your aura blazes up emerald around you, and from the noises they make both your fellow Karn are clearly surprised. You feel your body bulking up, hair rapidly growing longer down your back as your power surges. The entire arena trembles as you ascend, past both mortals and gods alike to a power beyond both. “HRRRAAAAAAAA!!”

Then with a blinding flash it's over, and you're now towering above the other Karns. Who're both looking up towards you shocked. Which is the perfect time to strike!

“HAAA!!” you roar, immediately throwing both hands forward and firing a powerful verdant beam at each of them.
“HYAAA!” your godly counterpart counters, firing an azure beam from his hand directly into your attack. Meanwhile your furry doppelganger flips aside, dodging the beam entirely then rushes directly at you. So you end that attack, and then fire off a Scattershot at him and that entire area. But that form's quick, the Primal you easily leaping over the attack with a frontflip. And as he reorients himself upright, you see that he's gathered his ki into an Energy Javelin!”

“Eat THIS!” he shouts, pitching the piercing explosive down at your broad chest. And with no options to block it, you instead leap back away and end your beam. His lance actually pierces the godly Karn's attack, the two exploding and hiding them both from your view. But you've got a lock on that one, and the moment your feet touch the ground immediately leap back up towards him.

Gathering your ki into your right hand, you burst through the smoke cloud less than two feet from your much-smaller counterpart. Who sees what you're about to do, and crosses his arms to block your strike. As you swing, his golden ki forms an Energy Barrier around him, your explosive punch bursting against his defenses and sending that Karn rocketing straight down towards the ground. Now where's the other-?

“HYAAAAA!!” your blue-haired double shouts, appearing right beside you and slamming his left fist square into your jaw. His punch is surprisingly powerful, snapping your head and upper body around. But you harness that momentum and turn it into a spin, swinging a massive left back fist towards him. He's clearly not ready for such a quick counterattack, your blow slamming into him as well and sends your godly counterpart crashing down beside the furry one. Leaving you floating in the air above them both, ready to end this quickly. Before either of them get up, you create an orb of emerald ki in either hand, then slam them together overhead. The twin orbs' ki clashes for a single moment, before mixing together and rapidly forming into an immensely powerful Event Horizon overhead.

“Eat THIIIIIIIS!!” you roar, throwing the massive attack down. As the giant attack drops, you hear them both shout simultaneously.
“FINAL FLASH!!” they bellow, and a moment later you feel a tremendous force slam into your attack. It's momentum is stopped completely, and after a second feel your attack quickly being forced back at you! So with no time to lose you raise your right hand to your forehead, focusing on the Super Saiyan 4 Karn's ki. Then after a moment's concentration you teleport beside him with Instant Transmission.
“Oh SHI-!” Super Saiyan 4 Karn shouts, seeing you appearing right between him and your godly counterpart. You reach out with both hands, spinning and firing off a spinning lariat that sends the two other Karns flying away in different directions. “Gah!”
“D-Dammit!” the divine Karn shouts as well, you sending both flying back away before crashing to the ground. Each hits with a roll, tumbling across the ground before finally sliding to a stop on opposite sides of you. But you feel your energy rising, higher and higher, body trembling as you struggle to keep your energy contained. So you leap into the air, and unleash your erupting ki.

“HRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you bellow, emerald ki forming a sphere around you as you rise higher into the air. But as your ki erupts, instead of forming a singular attack, your ki explodes out of you in all directions from that orb into thousands of ki blasts. You feel your ki filling this arena around you, and the two other Karns take dramatically different approaches to surviving.

The godly Karn doesn't even attempt dodging, instead simply raising his right hand towards you and forming a Barrier. His azure shield deflects each one of your shots, bouncing them around in different directions. Meanwhile your more primal counterpart takes a completely different approach, you seeing him flipping, spinning and twisting around your exploding shots.

“Why are you wasting time like that, when a simple Barrier defeats this attack completely?” you hear the godly Karn shout condescendingly. “When you tire out first, don't blame me.”
“Nah, this is nothing.” your furry copy calls, easily dodging his way through your onslaught of blasts as they explode around him. “This form's stamina is unmatched, I could do this all day, and tomorrow too. I almost never get tired.”
“Wait, really? Huh, neat.” you hear the godly Karn call, the two quitting their talk as you end the wildly indiscriminate blasting, energy levels has been sufficiently diminished. “But let's see if either of you can keep up with this!”

He then bends over double, aura flaring wildly as he begins shining brighter. You still can't sense his power, but something's clearly changing. You and your Primal counterpart share a glance, then both turn back to watch this wanna-be god begin transforming once more.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXO3mAe5aPQ

“HAAAAAAAAAA!!” he roars, aura turning blindingly bright for a moment before it begins dimming once more, the bright azure aura changing to a much deeper Blue. Through the stars twinkling in his aura, you see he's focused the power well beyond Super Saiyan Blue. “This is my full power!”
“Then I guess I'll stop holding back, and get serious too, whadda ya say?” your primal variant calls, clenching his fists and taking a much similar pose. His golden aura blazes wildly up around him, and as it does you begin seeing golden sparkling stars shining in his aura. That Karn's fur turns a bright crimson along with his black hair, strength multiplying at least ten, maybe even twenty times over. At these insane levels, you aren't entirely sure anymore. But one thing's for sure: against this level of power you no longer stand a chance. “Well well, looks like going all big and green like that isn't the be all and end all of power after all. Looks like taking this path instead wasn't a mistake. Unless you're still holding back on us, and have another form yourself?”

“Tch....D-Dammit.” you mutter, clenching your fists. Both of them are now more powerful than you, and you don't exactly have the means to surpass them. There is that one form you achieved once, against Universe 11's Jiren, but you haven't been able to retake it since. Which leaves you only one option. Crossing your arms before you, you allow your overflowing ki to blaze up to life around you. Concentrating that power, you begin condensing it into a heavy Energy Body of your own.
“Can't match our power, so thinking that'll even the odds? Well let me tell you it's useless!” your more feral counterpart shouts, drawing back his right hand and slashing forward like a beast. And from his fingertips spring out five Death Slashes, all aimed directly at you! “Begone!”

The five lethal slashes all crash into your armor-like ki, but to both the other Karns' surprise, the energy blades all crash into you and shatter simultaneously!

“Wh-What?” Apex Karn says, the shock evident on his face. “No way.”
“Just how dense is that Barrier?” that divine Karn asks, dashing in and firing off a heavy flying kick directly into your face. But you almost don't even feel it, the impact negligible. Your god-defying energy is actually resistant to divine energies, your Energy Body repulsing his divine aura and mitigating his power substantially. “No way! How is your Energy Body this dense?”
“That's the biggest advantage of this form, besides all this extra muscle.” you say as the wannabe-godling back flips away, landing on his feet just out of range as you straighten back up. “I cannot run out of ki, no matter how much power I exert. I can hold a Final Flash at full power for an entire day if I need to.”

“HRRYAAA!!” Apex Karn shouts, dashing in and slamming his fist into your jaw. Unlike with your divine counterpart, his energy isn't repulsed by yours. So his fist impacts your Energy Body at full power, knocking your head a few degrees to the side. But otherwise doesn't affect you much his punch lacking lethal power against you inside your Energy Body. “Tch. Well, this isn't going away anytime soon.”
“HAAAA!” you shout, turning towards Apex Karn and firing off a powerful punch of your own. But he dodges you easily with the Su Ma technique, twisting around your fist counterclockwise and striking you upside the head with a right backfist and a left hook that your energy tanks, then as you fire off a left uppercut he flips back away, kicking you in the chin with both feet before landing on his hands, and flipping back up to his feet further away from you. “Tch.”

“How? How can you condense your ki like this, yet still move?” the Super Saiyan Blue Evolution Karn says. “Your Energy Body should render you immobile at only half that thickness.”
“It would, if it weren't for this form's power.” you reply, standing back up to your full, towering height and raising one of your arms. “All this extra muscle really helps with things like that.”
“Looks like we're at an impasse.” your Apex counterpart says, bringing a hand to his chin. “He's too slow to actually hit us, but we're not gonna crack that nut anytime soon. Now what do we do? Wait and see who loses their transformation first?”

“I can handle him, no defense can withstand this next technique.” your blue-aura'd godly counterpart says, drawing his right hand back. “Good thing I picked this one up from Lord Beerus.”
“Wait, what?” you and Apex Karn say simultaneously, both turning as the godly Karn rushes directly at you. With a roar you try swinging, but it's hopeless, he's far too quick and easily gets behind you.

“HAKAI!” he shouts, and you immediately feel your energy begin vanishing. You spin towards him, seeing him bracing his right hand with his left as you lunge towards him to try and stop this Destroyer technique. He keeps backing off as you charge, maintaining his distance as your energy rapidly vanishes. If you can't stop his Hakai soon, he'll destroy ALL of your ki, and then you as well! You have to think of something, and quick!
“Woah! Is ERASING him really warranted?” you hear Apex Karn shout, you stopping your advance and crossing your arms before you. “You should stop before you erase him!”
“I won't Hakai him, just his energy!” your overconfident, godly self replies, your energy being consumed more and more by the second. “I'll stop when his ki is erased.”

But you're not going down without a fight. And having witnessed Lord Beerus erasing that upstart wannabe supreme deity Zamasu of the 10th Universe, you had realized that you would have been erased just as easily. So you developed a new technique, with Meloka's help, for just such an eventuality. You haven't tested this against Lord Beerus' power yet, but it's do or die! If this fails, you're done for!

“Hakai THIS! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, unleashing everything and releasing one hundred percent of your Berserker form's power it's generated all at once. Your Energy Body's outer layer shatters from the sheer pressure as your energy expands outwards rapidly, forming an emerald sphere around you filled entirely with your ki as his Hakai destroys the shattered pieces near-instantly. But despite that wannabe-god's technique, your energy keeps expanding faster than he can destroy it. Meloka was right, you CAN overpower it! You can do this!!

“RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar, energy blazing more and more powerfully by the second as you put everything you've got into this attack!
“N-No way! You can't do this?!” he shouts, shocked that you're overpowering even the Hakai. “What in the world IS this?!”
“HAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, and let your energy explode. Everything vanishes around you, disappearing into white nothingness as your ki erupts. You can no longer see or hear, and even your ki sense is completely blinded by the attack you unleashed. You aren't even sure if you're still standing, but after maybe a minute of complete silence and overwhelming brightness, the aftereffects of your attack begin to die down.

The first thing you notice is the ringing in your ears, a sharp, needle-like pain between your eyes. Your vision begins coming back as well, you seeing the other Karn laying flat on the ground, gi torn to shreds. But you didn't destroy him back, his body's still clearly there. If a little burned by your attack. Then, before you can react, a heavy impact strikes you in the side of the head, sending you flying.

“Guuh!” you shout gruffly, voice hoarse from all the pained screaming you were doing while forcibly using one hundred percent. Without the strength to stand you land in a tumble, finally sliding to a stop on your chest. Looking up, you see your Apex self standing there, looking between both you and you, waiting to see if either of you rise.
“Well, looks like I win Mechikabura.” he says, you trying to protest but struggling to make any noise louder than a rasp. “It's over.”
“N-Not. Yet.” the other downed you says, surprising both you and your Apex self as he rises unsteadily up to his feet. “This isn't over.”
“Your energy's gone, and you have fallen back into your base form.” Apex Karn says, clearly not wanting this to continue. And you have to agree that he's done, his eyes aren't even open and he's barely standing. “Just surrender so we can all go-home?”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djQA-olaya0

But he sees it, same as you. Somehow that Karn's posture slowly straightens up as his ki becomes frighteningly calm, and he takes a slow, deep breath. Then he opens his eyes, you seeing they're now silver, and hard as ice. What in the worlds is this?

“Oh you've GOT to be kidding me. Really?” Apex Karn says, immediately taking his fighting stance. “Now I have to deal with this too?”
“If the game is too difficult, you can always surrender.” comes Mechikabura's amused voice from above, and suddenly you remember that he's here spectating all this as well.

“Ultra Instinct is bullshit, and we all know it!” Apex Karn retorts, and immediately goes on the attack. You watch as he closes the distance almost instantly, firing off a straight right, but your would-be godly counterpart dodges the attack. Not with Su Ma, flipping around him and getting a good attack angle, but by simply leaning his head just enough to dodge the incoming punch. Apex Karn's fist narrowly misses, but your alternate, furry self keeps up the attack. Hundreds of blows are avoided like child's play in a second, moving far too fast for you to have reacted to, but Ultra Instinct Karn dodges each blow with seemingly so little effort.

Not a single movement is wasted, every dodge he makes is the absolute bare minimum of movement required to dodge whatever blow is thrown his way. It's honestly impressive, as despite the ferocity of your Apex counterpart's unceasing attacks he doesn't take a single hit. For over a minute you watch as he doesn't take a single hit, then to your surprise see the wannabe godling's eyes shut!

“You arrogant little shit!” Apex Karn snarls, and focusing his ki creates a familiar-looking greatsword made entirely of ki. “I'll carve you to pieces! Haaaaaa!”
“How?” you mutter, halting your efforts to rise as you watch him, still with his eyes closed, effortlessly dodging the powerful slashes from your Apex counterpart. And you may be imagining it, but he seems to be moving even faster now. Despite your fuzzy counterpart's blazing fury, Ultra Instinct Karn's demeanor matches his aura. Somehow he's spookily calm, no expression on his face as he keeps dodging the attack. And as he does, you realize something: his body is actually moving on it's own! He isn't thinking about the battle itself at all. “That's it. That's how he's so calm.”

You finally understand what's going on, and that this had to be what happened to you all those years ago. Your body moved on it's own on more than one occasion before you'd attained the power of a Berserker God, usually when you were pushed to the limit. But it seems like it was only a taste of the power on display before you right now. But there's one thing that's different: he's not attacking. At all. Despite Apex Karn swinging relentlessly, and even leaving a few openings trying to bait an attack, this godly Karn refuses to attack whatsoever. Even if he isn't consciously fighting, your body always attacked whatever you were fighting until you'd finally lost consciousness. And that's what separates a so-called god from a true Saiyan Berserker!

You remember back to your fight against Jiren, and the unstoppable force he was. How no matter what you tried, no matter how angry and more powerful you made yourself, he just kept coming. Nothing you did could take him down, and he brought you to the very edge. And in that moment, hopeless and exhausted, one step from defeat, you'd found that next level. A power beyond Berserker God. But you hadn't understood what happened at the time, and only now as Ultra Instinct Karn takes another deep breath, do you get it. His entire body suddenly glows silver, and the next instant he's standing BEHIND Apex Karn. A moment later, three silver beams fire out your furry alter self's back, and another one through his sword, shattering it.

“Wha...?” Apex Karn asks, stunned, as the force of the hits blows him away. That silvery glow begins shattering, revealing that godly Karn's hair is now pure white as he turns to face you now.
“I get it now.” you say, closing your own eyes and relaxing, taking a deep breath of your own. Not to focus on calming yourself, but to brace yourself for what's about to happen. You search deep within yourself, to that molten-hot Berserker rage you've kept locked away, and with one thought undo years, decades even of restraining your wrath to maintain full and complete control of your power. That rage surges up within you, power exploding forth as a near-feral scream is torn from your throat. “GRRRRYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

After several intense moments of war inside of your soul, you and your rage once more truly become one. No longer are you suppressing it, nor is it controlling you. But you are one and the same, and as you open your eyes you find that your aura has shifted. No longer a bright, violent green, it's now a softer teal, matching the cold fury in your heart. You will NOT lose to anyone, especially to a version of you who abandoned his roots to play god.

“The real battle starts now.” you say, not even bothering to take your fighting stance as Ultra Instinct Karn stares you down. Then to your surprise you and your godly self both hear something, and turning to your right see that Apex Karn is standing! In fact he isn't even bruised from the hits he took!
“Not bad, I knew you had another gear in you.” he says cockily, rolling his right shoulder with a smirk on his face as he walks forward. “Now THIS is more like it! And that we're all finally ready and warmed up, how about we do this right? Last Karn standing wins!”

He then clenches his fists, golden aura blazing up around him as he shouts. You and Ultra Instinct Karn copy him, all three of you roaring as you bring yourselves to one hundred percent before all charging each other in the center.

“HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

>meanwhile, in another universe at the heat death of the universe, eternal green monke karn is just chilling in space pondering if he can restart the universe if he flexes hard enough
Too bad we can't mix infinite stamina primal and infinite energy legendary. Just become THE WALL.

Interesting to note that zerker mode straight up tells god stuff to fuck off.

>Interesting to note that zerker mode straight up tells god stuff to fuck off.
Will be more interesting to see how Beerus, and Whis react to it. Shin's attacks would bounce off you as you are now, so wouldn't be able to discover this in-character until then.
>>
>>5205944
God Karn is such a tool.
>>
>>5205956
>Shin hitting us at all
My man is it finally going to happen, the dumb bitch is getting in the ring for his lesson?
>>
>>5205977
Of course he is. He drank the fucking kool-aid.
God help him, pun intended.
>>
>>5205977
Being an asshole, and a deity do seem to be heavily correlated.
>>5205978
He’s not stupid enough to even try what he tried on Goku at the martial arts tournament, much less fight you. You killed TRIGON
>>
>>5205989
>He’s not stupid enough to even try what he tried on Goku at the martial arts tournament
You mean Gohan, right?
>much less fight you
If we issue him a proper challenge and back it up with grievances he can't ignore in front of another divine representative, he won't have a choice in the matter.
>>
>>5205944
If there's one thing I can give God-Karn it's the fact that he's mastered UI, I imagine attaining such a technique/transformation is quite the feat even for our protagonist
>>
>>5205994
No I meant when he tried to threaten Goku into not fighting Vegeta. If he thought Goku was scary angry, he hasn’t seen angry.
But why would you bother at this point, unless he did something stupid to get in your way? Not like he can actually seriously inconvenience you in any way.
>>5205997
This was a battle of PINNACLE Karns with their stats and abilities min/max’d out to show the differences between Apex, Divine, and Big Green. A good show of what each form specializes in. Apex is all about physical dps, speed, and stamina, while Big Green is all for that Unlimited Power and being able to just physically overwhelm enemies. And divine is all for that godly ki, techniques, and of course the limit-breaking form of Ultra Instinct(and/or Ego, but that would be a bad form for this sort of match).
>>
>>5205989
>He’s not stupid enough to even try what he tried on Goku at the martial arts tournament, much less fight you. You killed TRIGON
I would argue he's still dumb enough, because he still thinks he's superior.
>>5205994
Very much so, its one thing some weakling saying fuck the God's, Karn can make bodies pile up.
>>5206005
>No I meant when he tried to threaten Goku into not fighting Vegeta. If he thought Goku was scary angry, he hasn’t seen angry.
So the plant thing can feel our bloodlust then?
>Not like he can actually seriously inconvenience you in any way.
Its the principle of the matter.
>Ego
It just seems a bad form in general.
>>
>>5206005
>But why would you bother at this point
How many Saiyans died during the demonic incursion on New Salda? Why is Babidi still running around?
He's incompetent and he's yet to answer for all the harm he's caused to befall our race.
>>
>>5206005
Shin's a paperweight, both in personality and physical form. In the scenario where he's The BOI levels of stupid and tried to physically stop Karn, we could just throw him to the closest sun. Karn doesn't even need to use his EYES to take care of Shin, just telekinetically throw him like a football.
>>5206015
That being said on Shin's relative intelligence, Divine Copium is one hell of a drug. Look at what it did to poor Karn in one of the timelines. Shameful.
>>5206017
He still owes us big time for basically doing his work for him. But what could we possibly want from Shin? The Z-Sword?
>>
>>5206031
>But what could we possibly want from Shin? The Z-Sword?
I want him to SUFFER AND DIE FOR HIS ARROGANCE!
>>
>>5206031
>get the z-sword
>snap it ourselves just to spite shin
>old kai pops out and starts talking shit about shin
>karn joins in
>kars joins in and offs kibito and shin
>quality of life skyrockets throughout the universe
I wonder what Kars would think upon discovering there is a far more competent or at least educated kai stuck in a shitty heavy sharp stick.
>>
>>5206034
Probably beat Shin to death with it and run a mile with Elder Kai's actual wisdom. Could probably speed up his plans by a couple hundred millenia.
>>
>>5206015
>Ego
>bad form
I disagree. It’s far superior to Blue, and with taking more damage gets stronger and stronger. Combining such a form with someone like Karn’s refusal to ever go down would be terrifying.
That’s the point though, he’s not on Zamasu timing and thinks that mortals CAN’T be stronger than gods. He’s worked with Cold for centuries now trying to find Babidi after all.
>>5206017
You’d have to include King Cold then, if we’re talking about everyone who’s let Babidi live.
>>5206031
>Shin's a paperweight, both in personality and physical form.
When someone says something so true you always knew it, but hadn’t ever realized.
>>5206034
>>5206113
>Kars with Old Kai
Now there’s a scary thought. But right now at least, with only Super Saiyan, Kars hasn’t been able to free the blade yet. But once he perfects Rose...
>>
And here we are, 24 hours before the beginning of episode 172. This will(hopefully) be the final episode of the arc, and we can move into the next one. Still working on that name though.
>>
>>5206172
>Kars is a transformationfag
>No hardship just powerup more lol
He's a filthy casual!
>>5206361
Shit Gets Fucked 3, Remember to Kiss Your Knees?
>>
>>5206368
>He's a filthy casual!
To be fair, that’s the EXACT same thing Gohan did to draw it. Base didn’t work? Super Saiyan. That still wasn’t enough? Super Saiyan 2.
Ha, but no. We’re still on the planetside lifestyle, with only two real trips offworld planned. And you already know the most important one.
>>
>>5206397
Cant wait to see that fight.
>>
>>5206172
>with only Super Saiyan
Wait, are you telling me he hasn't mastered any of the higher transformations yet?
Come on Kars! Our kids can do that.
>>
>>5206397
Hey uh...just checked the powerlevel pastebin.
Why is Meloka lagging behind with her base powerlevel?
Far as I can remember, she was always decently close to Karn, but now she's only a quarter as powerful in her base form.
Also, did Chilli's Zenaki push him to become more than twice as strong as Chaya?
>>
>>5206429
Well Melora has been more focused on raising karn Jr recently while we have been training.
>>
>>5206403
It’ll be another Chaya episode, that much is for certain. And hopefully it lives up to the hype.
>>5206411
He immediately focused on combining divine ki with Super Saiyan after mastering the basic form. He thinks he can go far higher with both parts combined, and finding further evolution that way.
>>5206429
>Why is Meloka lagging behind with her base powerlevel
Because she was sidelined for a sizable time during the war, and has focused on a different sort of training. Her many times giving you near-death experiences has made her realize raw power isn’t everything.
Chilli is strong, yes. Remember, Chilli’s been stronger than her since the him and Broly vs her and Raditz arena fight.
>>5206438
She’s been training, but the pregnancy downtime shifted her focus from physical training. She’s been slowly getting back, but mostly focusing on losing the baby weight and keeping her figure with physical while focusing on more important training. Which you’ve seen with her Aura Sphere/Warding Eyes mastery
>>
>>5206545
>Raditz- 793,770
He needs to put in a bigger effort if he wants to date and possibly marry Chaya, no way he’s strong enough to be with her yet. Its time to give him the special Karnage training program.
>>
>>5206647
Oh yeah that’s right, I haven’t updated him on the public pastebin yet for a reason. Soon. Ish
>>
>>5206654
Hold up, let me look at your notes for a second.
Uh huh...yeah okay...
Wow. Very cool to see Raditz got his potential unlocked somehow. Totally rad...itz.
>>
SOON!
>>
>>5207240
That was a terrible pun and you know it.
>>5207536
soon. Still almost 2 1/2 hours to go
>>
>>5207544
>That was a terrible pun and you know it.
Hey, that's still not a "no". Ultimate Raditz confirmed boys let's goooooooooooooooooooooooooo
>>
>>5207548
You'll have to wait and see.
>>
>>5207603
It's either gonna be another 20 minutes or another week.
I can wait either way.
>>
>>5207650
Good news, it’s NOT gonna be another week. Unless I suddenly lose power and service or something else out of my control
>>
I'm mildly curious. What would happen if Apex Path Karn permanently fused with Berserker Path Karn?

Normally the two paths are mutually exclusive, but a fusion bypasses that, especially since they're both the same person. Would we finally see Berserker Primal like how Broly does it in Dragon Ball Heroes?
>>
New episode has begun! >>5207664
