It is a time of peace. With Lord Freeza’s explosive declaration, naming himself Emperor of the Universe after single-handedly obliterating the Covenant stronghold High Charity, peace has come to the universe. Not wanting to stand against him and his unstoppable Super Saiyans, within days of his declaration the universe bent the knee. And while there are always outliers, those stubborn or foolish enough to try and resist, the overwhelming majority of the universe is bending the knee. And he wouldn’t have achieved all this, defeated the strongest military in the universe and survived the Prophet’s ultimate weapon without your help.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, the story of an alternate timeline in the greater Dragonball EU. Currently it is Age 750 and you the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power recognized across the universe. Now as a PTO general with a powerlevel of over 101 million, and close friend and confidant of Lord Freeza himself, Emperor of the Universe: Karn has become his people’s greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After a week of spending time with Towa and each of his half-demon children in her new lab, Karn and his family returned to their own timeline only for him to be awoken early in the morning by an uneasy feeling, confronting Silva Zoldyck's son Illumi before taking his kids fishing for breakfast. Where Tatsu and Tomi were attacked by Mindslayers, Karn vanquishing them before heading down into the Rak'kari's underwater city, and killing six more there before having breakfast with his family. Then Freeza arrived, the two heading to Raven's island just in time to see her vanquishing demons who'd claimed to be her siblings. Karn left her to it, returning to his family just in time for Tatsu to arrive with a final request. And as we rejoin Karn, you just fulfilled your old man's last request, and as you dropped back down to your family on the island below, you find your son Broly holding his sister Caulifla, and his body is absolutely scorched! What the hell happened down here?

“Broly?” you ask him, everyone turning towards you. No doubt they saw what happened, but why is Broly so badly burned, Caulifla crying in his arms? Wait, no, she didn't. Did she? “What the hell happened? What did I miss?”
“Huh?” Caulifla asks you, pulling a bit back from her brother and looking at him only to gasp in shock. She hadn't even realized what happened! “Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, Triumph!”
“KIIIIIIIIII!!” her Stand caws as it materializes, and begins healing his heavily-scorched flesh.
“It's okay, I know what it's like to lose control.” he tells her with a smile, despite the clear pain he's still in. “I know you didn't mean it Cauli.”

“Mel, what happened?” you ask your wife telepathically. “What did she do?”
“I don't know how, but she burst into flames.” she answers, your brows furrowing in immediate worry. “I couldn't get near her, not with our son. Then Broly grabbed her, despite his flesh melting, and refused to let her go until she calmed down.”
“Dammit.” you reply, unsure how else to answer. You've seen her like that exactly once before, and her Stand's fires were hot enough to melt indestructible metal beings conjured by that teleporting green wizard who was after that medallion. If she lost control and unleashed it here, she could have killed everyone! But as you ponder this, suddenly you sense a familiar energy signature rapidly approaching you all.

You turn towards him, watching a golden streak rapidly approaching from the mainland. Chaya clearly either senses him, or watches you turn and turns around, then calls out to him.

“Raditz? What's wrong?” she asks, worry in her voice. “Did something happen?”
“Did you forget what today is?” he asks her with a sigh. “You have your rematch with Erza today?”
“Oh shit, that's right!” she exclaims, slamming her right fist into her left palm before turning to you. “I almost forgot! Sorry, but I gotta go!”
“Alright kiddo.” you say, but she's already blasted off, headed back to the old ship. Well, at least she's still herself despite everything. You then turn to Raditz, looking at him questioningly.
“Erza?” you ask him, raising a brow. “Is she any sort of threat to Chaya?”

“Honestly? Probably not.” he replies. “She's fought Chaya before, but your daughter's spared her both times. Unless Erza's found some sort of new magic sword to conjure or something, there's no way she can defeat your daughter.”
“Well, that's good to hear.” you say to him, Chaya blitzing back towards you wearing her armor and wielding her giant sword.
“Got everything, we're good to go.” she says to Raditz, then turns to you. And to your surprise rushes up to you, giving your massive neck a hug and speaks very softly to you, so low you doubt anyone else heard. “I'm sorry you had to do that to grandpa. We can talk when I get back, okay?”

Then as you're still surprised she then lets go, and back at her normal near-shouting volume she continues speaking as if she hadn't said anything.

“Sorry I gotta miss out on today's training, I'll get some good hours in this evening after the fight, and the recording. Gotta go!”

Your daughter then says her goodbyes and turns to Raven' who's already gotten a portal opened and ready to go. But then another problem leaps up into your face.

“I wanna watch sis fight!” Maz shouts as he flies over to you.
“Me too, me too! I wanna go too!” Kayle calls, also flying over. “Can we go? Please?”

Well? Will you let them go?
>Ask Raditz if he'll take them along, and watch over them while they're there
>Ask Broly if he'd be willing to go and supervise the two of them

“Hmm.” you say, pondering their request a moment. It should be fine if they go, not like they're in any danger in friendly territory. But what about the damage they could cause? They could cause a whole lot of trouble without supervision, and you don't want to cause any trouble. But then out of the corner of your eye you see Broly, and an idea comes to mind. “Hey, Broly. Would you mind going with them?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah. Sure.” he replies, turning to his younger siblings. “You two want to go watch your sister fight?”

“YEAH!” they both shout in excitement, bouncing up and down in the air.
“Alright, if Broly is with you, then it's okay.” you tell them, then turn your voice more stern. “Now, both of you listen to your brother, and do what he says while you're over there. Okay?”
“Okay!” they both shout, rushing over and hugging you.
“We'll behave.” Maz says, his young face serious. “I promise.”
“Me too!” Kayle says, all smiles. “We're gonna watch Chaya win!”
“Everyone who's coming, let's go.” Raditz says, standing by Raven and her open portal.
“Bye! I'll be back soon!” Chaya calls, walking through the portal first. Raditz follows, then Maz and Kayle rush through followed by Broly.
“I won't let anything happen to them.” Broly thinks to you, then ends the mental link as Raven shuts the portal behind him.

Looking over your remaining kids here, Chilli is being held by his wife Megumin. Caulifla is holding herself and looking down dejectedly, you can tell something's bothering her. No doubt how she lost control and nearly fried her older brother. Tatsu and Tomi seem the least upset, just holding hands and looking at their younger sister while Meloka holds Karn Jr, and Okira is sitting beside the former Guardian, looking at her Stand as it whispers something to her.

But what now?

"Hey Mel? Mind taking the kids on to their gravity training for me?" you ask her telepathically, not taking your eyes off your daughter. She doesn't reply for a moment, no doubt looking to you then to Caulifla and no doubt getting it.
"Of course." she replies, then aloud starts calling the remaining kids' names while also talking telepathically to you. "Be careful hun. She's hurting.”
“I will.” you tell her, ending the psychic link and floating over towards Caulifla as she holds herself looking dejectedly downwards. She's clearly deep in thought, and doesn't even notice your approach until you wrap her up in your arms.

“Ah-? D-Daddy?” she asks, startled as you hug her to you. You don't say anything at first, feeling unsure what to say to her. But it seems to have been for the best, as after a few seconds she starts sobbing against your chest. As her ugly sobs wrack her body, she tries to speak through the tears. “Why? Why did you let him go? I could have saved him, I know I could have. Grandpa didn't have to die and leave us, I-I coulda healed him!”
“I know you could have kiddo.” you say in a hushed tone, holding her tight with your left arm while gently patting her on the back with your right hand. “I know. It's okay Cauli.”
“It's NOT okay!!” she shouts, slamming her fist against your chest in frustration. “He didn't have to go! I...I didn't want him to go!”

“I know you didn't kiddo. I didn't want him to leave us either.” you tell her, and Caulifla pulls her head back and looks up at you in shock. She's clearly confused by this, but remains quiet waiting to see what you say. “But as hard as it is to hear, that is what he wanted Cauli. He knew it was his time to go.”
“Everybody keeps saying that, but it WASN'T!” she snarls, pushing back against you to get free. And instead of grabbing onto her you let her push away, fists clenched in impotent, helpless rage. “Why doesn't anyone listen to me? I could have saved him!”

As she shouts, you see her Stand Triumph floating a bit away behind her materialize, and it's body becoming flames once more in response to your daughter's outrage.

“I could have fixed him! Whatever was wrong I could have healed him, and fixed him up good as new!” she exclaims, screaming out in frustration and helplessness. “He would have been happy, and could have stayed with us! With me! I didn't want him to go...”

And at this her rage seemingly dies out, her Stand disappearing as swiftly as it'd appeared.

“Why did you wanna go?” she says through her tears, her entire body trembling as she sobs helplessly. “Why did you wanna leave us and go away?”

Hearing your daughter say those words is like a knife to your chest, and again you're left speechless. You have no idea what to say to her, so instead you simply fly back over, and again embrace her. She doesn't have any words left, and instead simply keeps sobbing against you. As she does you feel yourself tearing up as well, and while holding your daughter slowly drift back down to the ground. You land, sitting crossed-legged and just holding her while she cries her heart out. Holding her you don't say anything, just hold her and caress her head while she cries.

A few minutes into her crying, you begin picking up several decently-strong powerlevels approaching your planet. They feel familiar, and after a moment's focus realize that it's the Ginyu Force! But what are they doing here, now of all times? Unless....

“Daddy?” Caulifla asks, snapping your focus back to her instead of the arrival of Freeza's ship.
“What is it Cauli?” you reply, meeting her red, bleary gaze.
“You wouldn't ask any of us to do that, would you?” she asks, seemingly looking into your soul. You can feel the intensity of her gaze, and realize just how important to her the answer to this question will be.

But how do you answer?
>Answer jokingly, that your enemies won't ever run out so you'd never have to ask her or any of her siblings
>Tell her that you aren't sure, but if you do ask one day you wouldn't ask her to carry that burden
>Explain that if none of your enemies get you first, you would ask either her of one of her siblings to do the same and follow the tradition of dying in battle
>Tell her that you honestly aren't sure, you'd never considered the possibility of living as long as your old man did until today

>>

>Not what she wanted to hear
That's usually not the case when you need to hear something.
She may just disregard it as cruel or barbaric, but she'll understand it eventually. Hopefully.
>>
>>5208033
She doesn't "need" to hear it though. She's not the same kind of person we or the old guard were. She comes from a different era in Saiyan history. Life isn't the same for our kids man. This is doubly true for someone like her who actually has the ability to prolong or save lives. It probably makes her feel subhuman when she doesn't save someone.

Times change, and people with it. Dying in battle doesn't serve a purpose any more.
>>
>>5208062
It might not be a part of Saiyan culture she embraces, but it certainly is for Karn.
We need to be truthful with here about how WE feel about it, but she's free to make her own decisions about it as well.
Either way, she NEEDS to hear the truth so she can begin to at least understand why we just disintegrated grandpa.
>It probably makes her feel subhuman when she doesn't save someone
That's something she's gonna have to come to terms with as she gets older.
You can put forth as much effort as is possible, but you can't save everybody. That's just a fact of life.
>>
>>5208072
Telling your young teen daughter you expect her to be able to kill you when she's dead set on keeping people from dying won't make her come to grips with a difference in philosophy dude. She has zero context for why we believe the things we do and cannot conceptualize why we would want it. And if she just shuts down because she hates the idea so much she isn't going to spend her free time pondering it to try and figure it out. She's just going to bemoan it and try her best to ignore it.

It doesn't help her to mature or prepare for the eventuality it just makes her want to dig her heels in deeper.

You think it over a few moments, not breaking eye contact, and after an uncomfortably long pause come to your answer. It's probably not the answer she wants to hear in this state, but you'd do her a disservice by lying to her face like this. So you speak the truth.

“If none of the enemies I've made over the years get to me first? Yeah, yeah I probably would kiddo.” you say, her jaw dropping as she looks horrified at your answer. “We're not like all these other, weaker creatures in the universe. We Saiyans are a warrior race, living and dying in battle.”
“But why?” she asks, eyes wide in shock. “Why would you want to leave us all behind?”
“As much as I don't like thinking about it, one day my life will eventually come to an end.” you tell her with a sigh, shoulders slumping a bit as you speak frankly to her. “Me, your mother, all your brothers and sisters, King Vegeta, even Freeza, one day we all will parish. But thanks to you and your amazing gifts that you were born with, that day will likely not be for a long time yet.”

“Then why did grandpa want to go away?” she asks you, her expression seemingly angry. “Why did he want to die?”
“When I was about your age, I'd hear some of the older warriors talking to each other late at night time to time.” you tell her, remaining seated as her expression turns more curious. “And I remember that more than once, I'd hear someone say that it was their time to go. At first I didn't know what they'd mean, but every time someone said that, they never returned. I think that when you get old enough, you just know when it's your time to go. And your grandpa knew today was his turn.”
“I just don't get it!” she exclaims angrily, more frustrated than you've seen her in awhile. “He didn't have to die today. He could have lived, whatever was wrong with him I could have fixed!”

“I know you could have kiddo.” you tell her, again embracing your daughter tightly to you. “You've kept me alive more times than I can count. And I heard about how important you were to keeping your brothers and sister alive against those Hive monsters. You have rare gifts that make you special kiddo, you're one of a kind.”

She stammers for a second or two, clearly unsure what to say, and instead slams herself into your chest, hugging you tight once more.

“I love you Daddy.” she says, clutching you with near-desperate intensity. You return her hug, far more gently than hers for fear of breaking her, and reply.
“You too kiddo. Love you too.” you tell her, the two of you staying there on the beach for several quiet moments until she starts loosening her grip. You do the same, then the former Guardian's spirit begins speaking.

“A gentle soul, your daughter possesses.” he says in his unusual way, both of you looking over to his ghostly form. “Kind of spirit, you are. But burdened, you are, heavy, that cross can be. Crush you beneath it, it could, the weight of such responsibility granted by your power.”
“Teacher.” she says, wiping her nose and face on the back of her left glove as she stops her tears and quits crying with a sniffle.
“Much power, you have been blessed with. And expected of you, much is for it.” he continues, then starts addressing you instead of her. “Her heart, protect it, you must. Let not her kindness dull. Apathy, indifference, contempt. Such emotions, succumbed to, your daughter could be. When faced with the reality of death. Let not dim, this bright flame of hope, you must.”

“I'll protect her. No matter what it takes.” you answer, rising up to your full height. He accepts this answer, nodding once then his form begins dissolving into a mist that is quickly sucked back into the holocron before it shuts, returning to it's original square shape.

“C'mon kiddo, let's gget back to work.” you say to her, holding your daughter close and lifting her up with you into the air as you rise above the island.
“O-Okay.” she says with a sniffle, wiping her nose off on her gloce again.
“Hey, before we go back to your mother and your siblings, you wanna come with me first?” you ask, Caulifla tilting her head curiously. “The Ginyu Force just touched down over by the city. Want to come say hi with me?”
“Ye-Yeah, I can.” she says, then starts squirming in your grip. You let her go, Caulifla diving straight down into the water. No doubt to wash the tears off her face. After a moment she bursts up out of the water, and calls out to her Stand. “Triumph!”

“KIIIIIIIII!!” her golden Stand caws, firing a burst of flames directly in her path. Your daughter flies fearlessly through, her Stand's powers granting her immunity to heat and fire, and rising back up beside you.
“Okay, I'm ready.” she says, not quite smiling but no longer looking as down as she was before. You nod to her, then turn towards the mainland and take off. You maintain a steady pace, one she can easily keep up with, and after a few seconds slow down to a stop over the fortress that King Vegeta calls home. Freeza's giant ship is here, sitting in it's courtyard, but you see a commotion down below. There is a crowd gathered, and it doesn't sound friendly. Worried you glance over to your daughter, who's looking curiously down. Reaching out you take her hand, and the two of you descend together towards the crowd. As you and your daughter descend, you begin hearing a rather intoxicated-sounding man shouting angrily, and see a vaguely familiar looking man shoving a giant finger into Captain Ginyu's Sangheili body's chest.

“-on't take to kindly to YOUR kind here, you splitjaw bas-sard!” the giant man shouts, nearly as big as you are in your Berserker form and sounding more than a little tipsy as he pokes Ginyu again. “Get the fugg offa mah planet, 'fore I beat jer ass!”
“Oi, who d'ya think yer talkin' to, ya cunt?” Jeice fires back, trying to get in between them before the drunk does something stupid. But then he does, and actually draws a fist back to swing at Jeice!
“I wouldn't do that, if I were you.” Burter says, suddenly behind the man and holding his fist back. “Stand down soldier. Before you get hurt?”
“Afore I get hurrr...?” he asks, then suddenly has a bright idea. “I don' fink you know who I am!”
“You're insubordinate, for one.” Guldo says, and seeing you flying down behind the man then smirks, looking at you. “And in a whole lot of trouble with your General too.”

“You fink I'm scared of a wittle fishy man?” he taunts, clenching his fists. “I'm gonna kick all you stupid alien's assess! RRRAAAAAAAAA!!!”

And to your shock, golden light begins radiating from the drunk as his powerlevel explodes. He blasts the Ginyu Force back away from him, all but the Captain who'd remained where he was and Guldo, who'd no doubt used his Time Freeze to take a better position somewhere.

“Stupid splitjaw!” this Super Saiyan you suddenly recognize as the one Kakarot had fought by the training site you'd claimed for teaching your students shouts, and you see he's even MORE bulked up now than before, hell he barely has a neck. And it would seem that he's just as pleasant drunk as sober. “I'll KILL YOU!”

Well? How do you want to handle this?
>Tell Captain Ginyu and his team to not hold back, and show everyone gathered why the Ginyu Force is to be respected and feared
>Stop this yourself before it gets out of hand, walk up behind this moron and KO him before he can do something irrevocably stupid
>Ask Caulifla if she wants to stop him herself, and blow off some steam. Whatever she does to him she can heal later, and may be good to let some of her frustration from earlier vent

You know how you solve an attitude problem in the armed forces?
Collective punishment.
The whole class is gonna get hit with a punitive measure and we're gonna make sure they know exactly who caused it.
After that, the problem will be solved internally.
Most likely by a fair few members of the class beating the piss out of the guy and subsequently keeping a close eye on him in the future.

I never understood that kinda shit. When I got in hot water for something a co-worker did I didn't get mad at the co-worker I got mad at my boss because he was the one doling out the punitive measures. What my co-worker did had nothing to do with me so I shouldn't be punished for what he did. So it would be just as unfair for me to get mad at him since he didn't choose to have me punished for his mistake.

I dunno man.

We COULD just make him our personal sparring partner for the rest of the year.

Time for you to step in. Letting go of Caulifla's hand you begin marching forward, your boot striking the ground with enough force to crack it as you bellow out.

"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, SHITSTAIN?!" you bellow in your best instructor voice, the big drunkard turning around to face you. "WHAT IS YOUR NAME?!"
“Gen- *hic* General Karn?” he asks, clearly confused by your sudden appearance. But that was not the correct answer.
“OH, SO YOU THINK THAT YOU'RE GENERAL KARN? DO YOU ALSO FUCK MY WIFE, AND RAISE MY KIDS, GENERAL KARN?!” you shout angrily, getting right up in his neck-less face. Luckily you're still transformed from this morning, else he would no doubt have towered over you like he does everyone else present. “I'LL GIVE YOU ONE MORE CHANCE TO TELL ME YOUR NAME, BEFORE I KILL YOU RIGHT WHERE YOU STAND!!”

“FUCK YOU!” comes his eloquent reply, and he swings on you. Making his last stupid mistake for the day. You don't even try and dodge his strike, planting your feet firm and taking his punch square to the face. His heavy blow sends a powerful shock wave out from your head. The gathered crowd shouts in surprise as the shock wave washes over them, knocking dozens down. But you remain standing, and don't move from your spot. “Wh-Whut?”
“Wrong answer.” you reply, reaching up and grabbing his right wrist with your left hand. Then with a small effort pull his fist back away from your face, then crush his wrist.
“GYAAAAAAH!” he cries out, dropping down to his knees as he screams. But you don't let go, holding him by the arm as you draw your right fist back. You're about to deck him, and knock this asshole's head clean off his shoulders, when you realize that your daughter's still upset and probably won't appreciate not being able to save him afterwards. So you sigh out, and give him another chance.

“Since my daughter's watching, and isnt' in the mood to watch a moron die, I'll give you one last chance, asshole.” you say, voice low and menacing. “Answer me, or die. Your choice. What. Is. Your. Name?”
“G-G-Goar.” he replies, eyes wide with fear. “M-My name is Goar.”
“Well well, Goar. I'm so glad to hear you've decided to volunteer for my training course.” you say, voice now a lot less threatening and almost cheery compared to just a moment ago. Then with little effort haul him back up to his feet by his broken arm, the man crying out in pain again. “Come on, get up Goar. On your feet soldier!”
“Gaaa, aaaah! Y-Yes SIR!” he shouts out against the pain, but you get him standing upright. You let him go, and despite his arm being clearly broken, refuses to hold it or show any signs of being injured. At least he sobers up quickly.

You then turn to your daughter, who's already on her way forward, chime in hand. Curious you watch as she walks right up to him, and takes a knee beside him as she mutters to herself, ringing the bell as you turn your gaze to the crowd. Scanning the faces, you recognize one of your students and call out to her.

“Hey, Cenoria!” you say, addressing the taller than average Saiyan woman you see standing a half-head above the crowd. “Looks like it's your lucky day, you're volunteered! Take our newest student somewhere to sober up, and bring him along to class when it's time.”
“Yes sir!” she shouts, giving you a salute and walking over. As she does you see she's not alone, and in fact is with the much-shorter student and longtime Super Saiyan Sabi. “Alright Goar, looks like you're coming with us.”
“O-Okay.” he says, then reaches down to hold his arm before powering down. But to his surprise he doesn't feel anything, and sees your daughter standing up. “You-? You fi-Wait. You're Caulifla?”
“Of course.” she replies, putting on her usual smile. But you can clearly see her heart isn't yet into it. “Always here to help!”
“I thought you were just a story.” he says, then is led away by your two students as you turn back to face Captain Ginyu.

“Sorry about that one.” you tell him, holding out your hand. “That wasn't much of a reception.”
“On the contrary, General! It was an excellent showing of martial discipline and prowess!” he says, the rest of his squad assembling around him. “Ginyu Force! Assemble!”

“Burter!” the blue-skinned giant reptilian one says, each one striking their pose as they shout their names.
“Jeice!” the red-skinned, white-haired one calls.
“Recoome!”
“Guldo!”
“Captain Ginyu!” the leader shouts, front and center. “And together, we are-!”
“THE GINYU FORCE!” they all shout simultaneously, posing perfectly in sync.

“Those are some new poses, you all been working on them?” you ask, the Ginyu Force breaking their pose after a few moments.
“Of course we have been!” Captain Ginyu declares, as the crowd begins dispersing. Without the possibility of a fight breaking out, most lost interest in watching what happens next and instead choose to go on with their day. “To be an elite team, your teamwork has to be on point! Precise! And immaculately stylish!”

Looks like they haven't changed much at all. But what now?

Since you're here with them, it wouldn't be good to just say hi and run. So, you decide to stick around, and see what they've been up to since the war ended.

“Been a few months since we've seen each other, what've you boys been up to?” you ask the five of them. “Anything new going on?”
“Well, this body isn't the greatest in this day and age.” Ginyu says honestly with a chuckle. “Ever since the war ended, not too many like seeing this sorta mug. But it is the strongest I've ever had.”
“And your daughter may have told you already, but I have begun competing at Dreadzone myself.” Recoome says, turning around to show off the Dreadzone logo emblazoned on his shorts. “Already two events dominated!”
“You're competing too?” Caulifla asks him. “Sis just left this morning for another fight!”
“I see. Well, best of luck to her!” he answers jovially. “I'm sure she'll dominate without issue.”

“And I have been working on my speed!” Burter exclaims, taking off at blazing speeds away. He moves so fast that perhaps a full second after he moves, you hear the sonicboom. The instant it booms out, he reappears, holding your hammer from your ship. “What do you think of this?”
“WOAH!” Caulifla calls out, clearly as surprised as you are. “No way!”
“Impressive.” you reply, taking the offered hammer and slinging it over your back. “You're even faster than you were during the fighting. Gravity training?”
“Not quite. I can't say what all I did, I don't want to give away the secret after all.” he replies with a smug grin. “But I can say that it wasn't any usual training.”
“He's certainly gotten a bit lighter on 'is feet, 'at's for sure.” Jeice says, accent quite a bit more pronounced than you remember. “Meanwhile, I been back 'ome with the missus. And she's finally expectin'!”

“Well, look at you.” you say, gently giving him a good pat on the back. “Congratulations.”
“Expecting what?” Caulifla asks him, not understanding what this is about.
“He means he's going to be a dad.” you tell her, your daughter's eyes opening wide as you turn back to him. “And I'm sure he'll make a great one.”
“Thanks mate.” he replies, you offering him a hand and Jeice takes it, shaking furiously. “I only hope to be at least 'alf the father you are.”
“I think you're gonna make a great dad!” Caulifla shouts, your daughter clearly excited for him as well. Then she seems to think of something, snapping her fingers. “Oh, I know! Hold on!”

Then before you can ask what she's thinking, your daughter immediately blasts off into the air, flying towards your old ship.

“What about you, Guldo?” you ask the shortest and formerly least in-shape member of the Ginyu Force. But those days are long gone, and as your scouter goes off you're surprised to find that his powerlevel has jumped quite substantially. His powerlevel is now well over a million, and only a little over a hundred thousand short of Recoome's 1.6 million. Burter is now noticeably stronger than Jeice as well, his 1.8 million compared to his red friend's 1.65 million. Ginyu still towers over his team, but that's to be expected with one of the most powerful non-Arbiter Sangheili bodies left.

“Oh, you know, the usual.” he replies, holding up his hand. Then he's just gone, and you realize so too is your hammer that Burter'd brought from your ship. As you realize this he suddenly reappears, a smug grin on his face. “Your ship was a little further away than I expected, I had to stop and take a breath.”
“Wait, you went that far and back?” you ask him, feeling more than a little surprised. “Just how long does your Time Freeze last now?”
“Well, I can't exactly time it. But I have been working on a very rigorous training program to maximize my special ability.” he replies. “Right now I'm up to around three thousand.”
“Three thousand seconds?” you ask, struggling to calculate that for a moment then giving it up. But it's clearly more than a few minutes, and may be closer to half an hour.

“No no, not seconds. Pushups.” he replies, raising his clearly defined arms and posing. “Turns out that working out while time is stopped improves how long I can hold my breath, makes me stronger, and increases how much stress I can take while time is frozen.”
“Well look at you!” you say, genuinely and pleasantly surprised by this news. “Next time that bastard Babidi shows his face, he won't even know what hit him!”
“Next time I'll go for the head.” Guldo replies, sounding a bit more serious, before changing his tone. “But I don't think we'll encounter him on this mission.”
“Nah, this one's supposed to be a walk in the park.” Jeice adds. “A couple months, round trip. Just escort Lord Freeza to that backwater planet Namek, and find some sort of artifacts they've supposedly got. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why he wants us in on such a simple mission. Sure we're somewhat close to old Covvie space, but it's not like they're gonna actually try somethin'. Right?”

And as he says this, you suddenly get chills on the back of your neck, and a bad feeling that something on this mission is going to go horribly wrong. You aren't sure why, but then you remember that useless so-called goddess with that boy Kazuma. And suddenly you don't envy the Ginyu Force going out on another mission nearly as much anymore.

"Oi, you alright?" Jeice asks, sounding worried. "Everythin' good mate?"
"Yeah, yeah, sorry about that." you reply, shaking your head and not thinking of that annoying, self-proclaimed goddess anymore. "You boys got a difficult job ahead, but it's not for why you think."
“Huh? What do you mean?” Recoome asks, the entire Ginyu Force clearly mirroring the sentiment. “You don't want a mission?”
“I met a group of the VIPs, back on the planet of the Crimson Demons where my son's wife is from.” you say to them, unsure how best to describe that Kazuma and his group. “They're...eccentric? Yeah, I think that's the best word for them.”

“You say that like we're not the masters of etiquette or something.” Captain Ginyu says, lightly teasing you for how Saiyans were treated during your early years of being a part of the PTO. “But rest assured, for no matter how bizarre their customs and protocols are, we, the elite Ginyu Force, can handle it! Isn't that right crew?”
“Yes Captain!” they all shout together, so perfectly in sync they remind you of how your oldest twins Tatsu and Tomi speak. You're actually taken aback a bit by this, yet before you can say anything you can feel Caulifla's energy racing closer and closer. You turn, seeing her smaller figure clutching something round to her chest as she slows down, and begins dropping down to the six of you.

“Sorry that took so long. Here! Give this to her!” Caulifla says, holding out what looks like a small platter-sized wooden shield painted red and white with metal fittings on it. “This will hopefully help her out a lot!”
“A shield? Thanks kiddo, you tryin' to send my wife off to battle or somethin'?” he asks her jokingly, you looking at the object curiously. “My Shelia ain't quite like your own mum, going out there and decapitating demons the size of mountains while preggers.”
“No no, watch this!” your daughter says, dropping the shield. Then to your surprise raises her left hand and bites herself, hard. Hard enough to draw blood, as you clearly see when she takes her hand out of her mouth. “Look. Now, watch this!”

And then she picks the shield back up with her bleeding hand, holds it for a count of five, then ten seconds, then puts the shield back down. Then to your and everyone else's surprise, her hand is completely healed!

“I probably won't be there when your kid is born, but give her this.” your daughter says, again offering him the magical item. “It's not the best, but it does help fix some injuries. That'll hopefully keep her and the baby okay.”
“You....You'd just...GIVE this to me?” he asks, and for the first time since you met him he sounds on the verge of tears. “Just lettin' us 'ave it?”
“Of course! Keep it as long as you need it!” she says genuinely, and you know she means it. “Just give it to someone else in need when you're done with it, and don't throw it away.”

“You're an angel, you know that?” he responds, and instead of just taking the shield gives your daughter a big hug. Which she clearly both appreciates, and reciprocates. “Bless you, girl.”
“You're welcome!” she replies, a radiant smile on her face that seemingly burns away her earlier mood. “Always happy to help!”
“You've got a wonderful daughter, Karn.” Ginyu says, as the rest of his force piles on the hug to your Caulifla. “You'd better treat her right.”
“Of course.” you reply to him with a chuckle, hearing your daughter laughing from somewhere in that pile of bodies. “You know when you're heading out?”
“We're supposedly leaving within the hour, once Lord Freeza has gathered everyone he needs for this voyage.” Ginyu replies. “He said something about 'gathering his intel'.”

“That'll no doubt be the VIPs.” you say, then with a sigh give him a quick rundown of what you know of Kazuma and his crew of misfits. “They all seem a little soft in the head, except for Yunyun. She's Chilli's wife's friend, so make sure you all take extra care protecting her, alright?”
“Of course! No harm shall befall her, or them.” Ginyu replies, giving you a full and proper salute. “You have my word!”

But what do you do now?

"Appreciate that. I'm sure nothing'll happen on a small backwater, but just in case." you say, then as the rest of Ginyu's Force begins letting go of your daughter you address her directly. "Hey kiddo, I think it's about time you got back to your training today, don't you think? We don't want to skip out, do we?"
"Okay!" she replies happily, her earlier upset seemingly completely gone. "Bye everybody, come see me when you get back!"

"Farewell."
"G'day!"
"See you around!"
"Later gator."
“Goodbye!”

The Ginyus all call as your daughter lifts back up into the air, flies over to you and gives you a surprisingly powerful hug before blazing off back towards the ship. You all watch her go, then as you turn back Jeice walks directly up to you, a bit of concern in his eyes.

“Look mate, I understand if you want to keep somethin' like this around instead of givin' it away.” he says, catching you by surprise as he offers the shield Caulifla gave him back to you. “No hard feelings.”
“Huh? What do you mean, that was hers.” you say, surprising the red-skinned alien. “She found it, it's hers to do with as she wants. And clearly she wants it to go to your family.”
“Appreciate it mate.” he says with an almost relieved sounding sigh. “But where in the world did she find such a thing?”
“Good question, it's hard to tell.” you reply, and tell them about how that amulet she wears allows her to go back in time and fight all different sorts of beings. “But either way, it's yours now.”
“She's a good kid mate.” he says with a distant-seeming smile, then looks up to you. “Hopefully I'll raise my kids so they turn out just as good.”

Then suddenly you sense it, a powerlevel far greater than anyone else nearby begins approaching you. You recognize the familiar ki, and turning towards Freeza see him casually walking forward. Following close behind him are Kazuma, Yunyun, and the other two of their group. Each has a faint crimson glow around them, no doubt Yunyun's magic allowing them to stand without being crushed by New Salda's impressive gravity.

“Well now, seems I have been expected.” Freeza says, walking up to you and floating up in the air to appear level with you. “You know I would have let you know before I left, right?”
“Of course. But I also wanted to catch up with these guys.” you say, clearly meaning the Ginyu Force. “So. You're heading out then?”
“Of course. You couldn't expect me to stay here indefinitely, I DO have an empire to run after all.” he says light heartedly, then adds in teasingly. “Not all of us get to spend our days leisurely training ourselves.”

“Leisurely? Seems like it's been too long since we trained together.” you say, offering your hand with a chuckle. “Whenever you come back, I'll make sure to really get you working.”
“Ohohoho, I look forward to it.” he says, flashing up into his Golden form while taking your outstretched hand. He smirks, the two of you trying for a few moments to overpower each other. Your emerald aura blazes up around you as you strain against his power, Freeza's grin widening as he begins slowly overpowering you. After trying to overpower him and failing for nearly twenty seconds you finally yield, the emperor chuckling good-naturedly. “Ohohohoho. To think of how far you've come, Karn. Keep striving ever-higher, my friend. I will be pushing ever-higher myself, so next time we meet I'll be even stronger than I am right now.”

“I'm looking forward to it.” you say, then give him a proper Saiyan salute. “Lord Freeza.”
“General Karn.” he replies, then in a gesture of respect he returns your salute. “I entrust this world and it's people to you.”
“I will protect them.” you reply, Freeza nodding then powering out of his Golden form glances back over his shoulder to the four humanoids. “Come along now, it is time we got underway.”
“Planet Namek, here we come!” his blue-haired woman companion calls out, throwing a fist into the air. “Let's go!”
“Good luck Captain.” you say, offering a hand to Ginyu as well.
“Same to you General.” he replies, taking it. And doesn't even try attempting what you and Freeza had done earlier. Then he lets go, and turns his attention back to his squad. “Ginyu Force! Form up!”
“Burter!”
“Jeice!”
“Recoome!”
“Guldo!”
“Ginyu! And together, we are-!”

“THE GINYU FORCE!!” they shout in sync, posing one last time before boarding the ship in a single file line. After they're all on board the loading ramp closes, and Lord Freeza's ship begins lifting up into the sky. You watch as it lifts higher and higher, then surges away from your planet and off into the void of space.

“Good luck.” you mutter, watching until the ship vanishes completely from your sight.

But now what? It's not quite lunch time, so you could have a bit of time to yourself if you wanted.

As Lord Freeza's ship vanishes you lift up into the air yourself, and turn back towards your family. You take off, soaring above the city and look down on it as you fly. Many of the buildings are being repainted, some are sweeping the streets clear, while still others wash windows and even a few arrange greenery in pots along the windows or in patches alongside the main walkways. Something feels off about all this, and it actually takes you several seconds to realize why. Before the Great War, and you all leaving to finish the Covenant off for good that time, nobody bothered with such things. With the frequency New Salda had come under attack, everyone had abandoned such niceties as they would just be destroyed anyways. And seeing people actually caring, taking care of their places beyond the structural integrity of them. They aren't AFRAID of an imminent attack anymore.

With this realization you feel a smile come to your face, and see a group of three younger kids all looking up towards you and pointing you out to each other. You give them a wave, smiling and taking off faster back home with a strangely warm feeling in your chest. Children aren't afraid to go outside anymore, afraid of an imminent bombing or attack. You did it. You have made this world a safe home for you and your people.

As you fly you raise your right hand to your forehead, and with a thought teleport to your wife Meloka's side. One second you're in the air above the city, and the next you're standing inside the gravity chamber with the rest of your family. Chilli and Caulifla are sparring against Tatsu and Tomi, the twins teamwork far surpassing their siblings'. Neither Chilli nor Caulifla are ready for their unique fighting style, the twins whipping each other around and knocking their siblings about.

“There you are hun.” Meloka says as you appear, not taking her eyes off the four children. “Freeza head out?”
“Yeah, he and the Ginyu Force just left.” you reply, looking around and noticing that the youngest two aren't in here. “Where are Okira and Karn Jr?”
“They're with Megumin, as she can't take this kind of gravity either.” your wife answers, then shouts to the four training. “One minute left! Go all out and give it everything you've got!”
“HAAAA!!” Chilli shouts, rushing Tatsu and swinging. But Tomi pulls her brother back, while Tatsu throws her forward, resulting in Tomi swinging a powerful knee into his side while his punch narrowly misses his brother. “Gyaaa!”

“Got you!” Caulifla shouts, coming up behind Tatsu and catching him in a chokehold. With her left arm around his neck and her right tightening it, she wrapps his body in her legs and traps him in place. So Tatsu does what she doesn't expect, and let's go of his twin! Before she can react, Tatsu drives his free right elbow into her ribs, your daughter wheezing from the hit. However, with their contact now broken, Chilli also goes on the attack. He spins around, kicking Tomi with a spinning back roundhouse to the temple that sends her flying away. She crashes into the wall as Tatsu drives his elbow back again and again, but Caulifla refuses to let him go. She sees victory in this little clash is at hand, and holds on just long enough for Chilli to fly over, and gut check his little brother. He wheezes, then taps out Caulifla releasing him immediately. They may be good fighters, but they're also good sparring partners, and not trying to maim each other.

“Good job you guys.” you say, all four turning to see you suddenly standing there, towering over them and their mother. “That's the kind of fighting I like to see.”
“Yes, well done.” Meloka adds in, deactivating the gravity with telekinesis and not actually walking over to the control panel. “Now, who's ready to eat?”
“MEEEE!!” Tatsu and Tomi shout excitedly.
“I am!” Caulifla also screams out.
“I could eat, yeah.” Chilli says with a lot less enthusiasm than his younger siblings. Which just leaves one question:

Where will you all go to eat?
>See what absolutely delicious meal Silver's prepped for you all here on the ship

Alright, let's get your siblings and head out." you say, raising your hand to your forehead and focus on Karn Jr's ki. You teleport to him and seeing Megumin holding both of your youngest kids gently see that she could make a good mother for his children. You just reach out, place a hand on her shoulder, and teleport the four of you back into the chamber. As you reappear, Meloka walks up and takes both Karn Jr and Okira from her.

“Thank you Megumin.” your wife says, and you see for a split second Megumin doesn't want to let them go. But then she's over that moment, blinking a couple times and shaking her head.
“Y-You're welcome. Anytime.” she says, Chilli walking over to her and the two start whispering between them.
“Alright everyone, follow me.” you say, and start walking towards the door. “Today we're going somewhere different for lunch.”
“Oh?” Meloka asks, curious. “You have somewhere in mind?”
“I know a place.” you say, walking outside the gravity chamber then over to the ramp, heading back outside. “Come on, we're heading back into the city.”

You then lift up into the air once everyone's outside, and lead your family back into the city. You fly over the buildings, and after a few minutes looking spot the familiar, unseeming building and touch down outside it. But as your family all land around you, Caulifla speaks up.

“Wait, I know what this is.” your daughter says, looking from the door to you and back. “Isn't this-?”
“Yes, it is.” you reply, opening the door and starting down the staircase. Your family all follow you down, and as you reach the second door it opens on it's own into the basement eatery. The dark room's atmosphere feels comforting, you all walking over and taking the familiar round table. Meloka sits to your left, Caulifla sitting to your right, with Megumin to her right. Chilli is sitting to her right, then the twins between him and Meloka. As you all sit down, a younger woman only a couple years older than Chaya walks up, a board in her hand.

“Afternoon, General Karn. Caulifla.” she says to you with a professional smile, then your daughter before turning back to you. “What'll it be?”
“Give me what my old man would've ordered.” you tell her, and turn to the rest of the table. “What about you all?”
“Me too.” Caulifla says, surprisingly intense. “I want the same thing.”
“And us.” Tatsu and Tomi say in sync. All of your kids order what Tatsu would have eaten, Megumin ordering something about a fifth of what anyone else ordered, and she walks off. Then the table is suddenly quiet, nobody talking.

“Here, your drinks.” she says, returning with a tray full of dark drinks and begins passing them out. You thank her, taking your own and looking at your reflection in it. Then you stand up, and begin speaking out to the room.

“Attention everyone. I have a toast.” you say, holding your drink overhead. The ambient conversations die out almost immediately, everyone watching you curiously. “Today, my old man Tatsu passed on. So, in his honor, a toast! For Tatsu!”
“FOR TATSU!” the room shouts back, including your older kids as well. Then together you all take a drink, the fire burning your throat on the way down. You hear Caulifla coughing after a moment, you turning around and patting her on the back as she coughs it back up. Seems the drink was a bit too strong for her.
“I-I'm okay.” she replies, giving you a teary-eyed smile. “I got it.”

You ruffle her hair as the room finishes their drinks, and quickly all go back to their conversations. You sit back down as well, and looking over your family feel a smile come to your face. Sure your old man is gone, but he will not be forgotten. His lessons will stay with you for the rest of your life, and you'll do your best passing on the knowledge he'd entrusted to you. Now it's your turn to raise up the next generations, and turn them into the dangerous, capable warriors you know they can be.

QM QUESTIONS

Since we’re in the final chapter of this arc, and there aren’t any major curveballs left in store for you all, what has been your favorite moment(s) from this long and “mostly peaceful” arc? Biggest letdown? Biggest “was supposed to be this arc but moved to the next one” moment you’re looking forward to? Which character(s) are you hoping get more screentime, and are you ready for the next Apirl Fool’s epilogue? We’ve had a “gotcha” and the Chilli’s more horror-themed one, what do you think is next?
>>
>>5210670
Pretty much getting the Marriage finalized and visiting our kids, I just hope the next check for Caulifla doesn't have fate interfere and make her the second Chilli. There really hasn't been a big letdown that I can think of, though I will admit, I hope we can get a chance to light a fire under Chaya's ass, she is NOT living up to her fullest potential. I'm hoping Broly and the Twins get a bit more screen time. I want to say it'll be a Gotcha episode for April Fools, but that could be Chilli's nightmare anyways. You would do both and pretend we have a choice in Chilli suffering.
>>
>>5210677
Chilli is happily married, despite the wedding being rocky.
She won’t go the same way he did. Her ongoing internal conflict is very different than his.
>she is NOT living up to her fullest potential
Chaya’s judgment day is coming.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 172 Intermission-

AGE 750, NEW SALDA

“What a day.” you say to yourself, standing on the beach outside your ship as the sun is on it's way down. Chilli went with Megumin back to their house in the Crimson Demon Village, Freeza departed with those people from Megumin's home world in search of the Dragonballs on Planet Namek, and your old man fell in his final battle. But as you look out over the sea, pondering life, suddenly there is a strangely familiar noise and a flash of blinding light from behind you. Seems your day isn't over quite yet. “Now what?”

“Ello Karn.” you hear, and turning around come face to face with an unfamiliar Saiyan. He's wearing a foreign suit of armor, tail flicking once as he meets your gaze. And despite being in his base form, his powerlevel is surprisingly close to your own in your Ascended Berserker form. Until he throws his arms wide, blazing up into his Super Saiyan form and easily surpassing your strength. But what's more concerning is that the demonic seal on your right hand is suddenly burning “An' goodbye.”

He then slams his hands together, and fires a massive barrage of ki blasts directly at you. With only a split-second to act, you focus your own ki and swiftly form a Barrier around yourself. You didn't have the time to fully form it before his attack hits, and several tremendously powerful shots strike you before it forms enough to protect you. A few seconds go by and his attack finally ends, you dropping your Barrier with a snarl you focus on the demonic seal, and unleash the latent power held within.

“GRRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, dark energy blazing as your body becomes infused with the demonic ki. Your transformation into the Supervillain form is complete, you snarling angrily to yourself before charging back towards him. “Damn Time Patrol. I'll Kill You!”
“It's Burcol, an' now time to take out the traaashuuuuuuu!” he says, mocking you while charging in. Your massive fist slams into his much smaller one, a powerful shock wave blasting out from the point of impact. Neither of you are knocked back, the Time Patroller smirking in your face at this. The smaller Patroller then leaps back, but you're not letting him get away. You reach out with your left, grabbing him by the right ankle before he fully gets out of your range. “What?”

“HAAAAA!!” you roar, swinging him overhead and flinging him directly down at the sea below. As he falls you draw back your right hand, gathering your ki into your right hand, then fire an Energy Javelin directly at him. It flies true, but at the last second Burcol recovers and leans back to dodge the spear. “Tch!”

“Not bad. But you're gonna 'ave to do better than that!” Burcol shouts, his ki disappearing as the familiar flame-like aura of Super Saiyan God blazes up to life around him. He then teleports instantly to you, slamming his fist square into your guts and stunning you.
“Guuuh!” you wheeze as his blow winds you, then as you double over clutching your guts he laces his hands overhead, and slams his joined hands down onto the back of your head. The heavy blow sends you crashing back down onto the island.

“Supah! Spiritu! Hammah!!” he calls, then you feel something strike you. Your body is enveloped in overwhelming power, it burning your very energy as it scorches you down to your bones. Screaming in agony you feel your body being lifted straight into the air. Flipping over and over, you finally feel it stop and look up just in time to see the Time Patroller dropping down at you with his arms crossed. He slams into your chest, sending you crashing BACK down to the ground once more. You lay there for a moment stunned, then finally manage to take a much-needed breath in as you start rising back up to your feet.“This was fun, but you're done. He sends his regards!”

As he says this you sense another warrior suddenly appear who's just as powerful as Burcol's Super Saiyan form. You immediately swing, Burcol blocking the hit. But your punch sends him flying back, giving you enough time to turn and face the newcomer. He's charging towards you with a pink ki blade drawn, an obnoxiously giant green hat that's somehow staying on his head. With only a couple seconds before he makes contact you focus, hardening your ki into your Energy Body just before he swings. He aims for your chest, but instead of slicing into you his blade strikes your ki. The sword cuts into your energy, but is stopped before reaching too deep and actually cutting you. The man seems completely shocked behind his black shades, jaw dropping as his sword is simply stuck.

“Another one of you bastards?” you snarl, grabbing the ki blade and shattering it with your energy-clad hand. The warrior leaps back, clearly shocked that his attack didn't work. “And just who in the hell are YOU supposed to be?!”
“This is Mr. Jones. His job is to send you his regards.” Burcol says, looking more annoyed at the fact his ally's attack failed than anything. “But since you managed to avoid it, well... The Regards have been DISMISSED! Prepare the Destroyah build!”

And to your surprise the hat-wearing Patroller vanishes, an instant later as the flash of light fades, you find yourself face-to-face with yet ANOTHER new warrior. But this one arrives already in a divine form, his pink hair reminding you of that form combining divine ki and Super Saiyan that Kars recently acquired.

“Super Saiyan Rosé Livion.” Burcol says by way of introduction as the fighter raises his left hand's pointer finger at you. Then he fires an ultra-thin beam of ki from his fingertip at you, which you avoid by dashing aside to your right. He seems to have predicted you, immediately following your path with his finger and beam both.
“Tch!” you exhale, stopping and crossing your arms to block the attack. His dense beam of cutting energy burns across your arms, you wincing as the attack cuts directly through your energy. “Dammit!”

“Haa!” he shouts, ending the beam and immediately surging towards you. Much like Burcol he goes for a heavy right to the gut, but you're ready. He swings, you letting the faster fighter hit you as you instead reach out and grab his punching arm in your hands. You wince but, to your surprise, don't feel his punch at all as you grab a hold of him. “What?”
“My turn.” you say with a sinister grin, then slam your forehead into his nose. You feel his nose crunch against your hard head, the Time Patroller reeling and crying out in pain as you release his arm, grabbing onto his entire head with your right hand and raising him off the ground. Then before he recovers you swing, left fist crashing into his chest and sending the so-called Destroyer build flying.

“Gotcha!” Burcol shouts, you seeing his hair and aura both now azure as he's taken on the even more powerful form of Super Saiyan Blue as he appears right in front of you with a giant orb of ki between his hands. “Big Bang Kamehameha!!”
“SHIT!” you shout as his attack sends you flying, launching you well away from the island and your family. His attack still burns you through your Energy Body, it shredding your hardened aura. By the time his beam has ended, you've been blasted hundreds of yards away from your home. But the instant you recover, stopping your backwards flight, that man Livion reappears before you, firing off an uppercut that launches you. Flying back you watch as he draws his right hand to his chest, then draws his arm back and creates an enormous ball of ki. You recover just as he launches it, the mass of deadly, divine ki surging menacingly right towards you. There's no time to run, no time to evade, you're going to have to stop that attack if you want to live! You throw your hands forward, reaching out to catch that massive attack with a roar. “HRRRAAAAA!!!”

The massive blast hits, and as it slams into your outstretched hands, you realize that you might have underestimated this one.

“D-Dammit!” you seethe under your breath as the giant sphere of ki keeps pushing you further and further away from your family. If you don't overcome this, and quick, they could do something unforgivable to your wife and kids! You HAVE to overcome this! “HRRRAAAAAAAAA!!”

You roar out with all the force in your lungs while driving your right knee up and into the attack. You strike the massive orb with all the power you can muster, and with a titanic effort actually succeed in redirecting the blast! Your kick sends the giant orb flying up into the sky, well away from your planet and those inhabiting it. You did it! But that victory is short lived, as you see what looks like a cluster of sparks appear above your head. Then before you can react, from that cluster an actual bolt of lightning strikes you!

“Gyaaaaaa!!” you scream out in agony, the bolt of electricity coursing through your body and causing you to spasm uncontrollably for several moments. Just long enough for Livion to reappear, this time behind you, and send you flying with a blast of ki to your back. “Dammit!”
“Gotcha!” Burcol calls, appearing above you and slamming his azure ki-clad fist directly down into your face. His cheap shot sends you straight down towards the sea, you managing to stop your descent just above the water's surface.
“Dammit. I can't take them on, not both at once.” you think to yourself as Livion creates a crimson ring around his body, from with dozens of Ki Needles fire down toward you every second. You start dashing back and forth across the water's surface, narrowly dodging the piercing attacks as you try and figure out a way to split them apart. You need to think of something, and- “What the hell?”

Suddenly a body is pitched down between you and Livion's next cluster of Ki Needles, wearing armor similar to Burcol's. The attacks pierce the body, who doesn't even scream, then they explode and further mangle the corpse. It is blown to ribbons, but it seems Burcol knew who it was.

“Mr. Crumbash!” he shouts, voice a mix of shock and clearly fear. Then he looks up, and you do as well, to see a very comforting sight. It's your wife, and she's clearly ready for battle as well. Her long, flowing golden hair is now pure white, demonic aura blazing around her as well as suddenly you understand why she hadn't appeared before now. Seems this Burcol asshole knew to keep the two of you separated, but underestimated your wife's combat prowess. “Dammit. I knew I shouldn't 'ave sent 'im in by his self.”
“It's over.” your wife says, clenching her fists and allowing her demonic ki-infused aura to blaze wildly up around her. “YOU BASTARDS WILL PAY!!”

You realize something's clearly wrong, she's far too upset for this to just be about some asshole Time Patrollers showing up to off the both of you. Then your blood runs cold, and suddenly you begin imagining what horrors the Time Patrol could have done to your kids that would make her THIS angry. And you feel yourself growing more and more furious by the second. You aren't sure what Meloka saw, but there's no way any of these bastards are leaving alive!

“You take Burcol, I'll handle this clown!” you tell her, then charge towards this so-called Destroyer Livion. “HRRAAAAAA!!”
“BLADESTORM!!” you hear Meloka roar, sensing her ki explode upwards as you close the distance between yourself and the pink-haired Patroller. He raises his left hand again, firing off that ultra-thin, ultra-dense beam of ki at you once more. You duck under the beam, then before he can redirect it at you, you've closed the distance!
“GOT YOU!” you shout, rising into a straight left uppercut that catches the wannabe-deity square on the chin. Then while he's stunned you follow up your left with a right hook to his jaw, then a left turning kick to his temple that sends the man flying. As he's sent flying you focus your ki, once more shaping your ki into an Energy Javelin and fire it off directly at him. Unfortunately, just like Burcol, he recovers JUST in time to avoid the attack as well. But this time you're not going to let him get away like Burcol did, and immediately after throwing your attack thrust your left hand forward. Reaching out with your telekinesis, you grab the wannabe deity and hold him in place, immobilizing him.

“Wha-!?” he exclaims as he can't move, forced to watch as the javelin flies directly at his chest. Your attack flies true this time, the energy spear piercing directly through his guts. “Guh!”
“Die.” you say, releasing him from your grip. And he reaches down, desperately trying to pull the attack free, your Javelin begins glowing. Then after a second it explodes, the man screaming in agony as in an explosion and spray of blood he's torn completely in two. You watch as the two halves of him drop out of the sky, falling all the way down into the sea with a synchronous splash. That's another one down, now to finish off that last one.

“KARN!” he calls out, you turning around to see a terrifying sight: That bastard Burcol has your wife hostage! He has his right arm around her throat, left hand's finger ready with a Death Beam charged and ready to fire pointed at her temple while glaring at you with silvered eyes. “Surrender now, or she's dead. I'm only here for you, she doesn't have to die too.”

“Don't do it Karn! Don't you dare!” Meloka shouts, you seeing the fear in her eyes. “Don't give him what he wants!”
“You have a choice.” he says, silver eyes glaring threateningly at you. “Either your drop out of that demonic form, and surrender, or she dies. You have five seconds.”
“Karn, please! Don't you let him win!”
“Five.” Burcol says, no expression on his face. “Four. Three.”
“Please Karn, please! Kill this bastard! Don't worry about me!” she pleads, tears in her eyes that are tearing you apart. “Think about the kids, not me!”
“Two. One.”
“Wait wait wait, don't do it! I give up!” you shout, unable to watch your wife die. “You win. Just let her go.”

“Karn, NO! Don't do thi-!” she shouts, Burcol tightening his grip around her throat to silence her. “Glurk!”
“Silence!” he orders her, eyes focused on you. “Power down. Now.”
“Fine. I'll do it.” you say with a defeated sigh, and relaxing your body end your Supervillain transformation. “Just let her go.”
“Done.” he replies, and fires. His beam, it, it... Pierces straight through her. You watch, uncomprehendingly, as her body drops from his arms. You watch as her hair swiftly returns back to the shorter black hair she had, how it was years ago before she first mastered Super Saiyan. And as she drops down towards the sea, you can no longer sense her ki. But this can't be, she can't be dead. You did exactly what he said, there's no way. She's not dead, she can't be. She CAN'T BE!

In your mind you see the day she was assigned to your team, how timid she was at first and how hard she tried impressing you on your first several missions together. Then on Kvir's Moon how you both slept together for the first time after fighting that metal giant, finding out she was pregnant, the first time you saw Chaya, then all your other subsequent children. You see all the time you'd spent together; training, eating, laying in bed, everything. But it's all over now, she's gone. And it's all his fault! You're gonna make him PAY!

“You... You bastard. YOU BASTARD!!” you scream, voice cracking with unbridled rage and pain. Your vision turns blurry and green as you feel something inside you just snap. You no longer care, about anything. The only thing that matters now is destroying this bastard! “I...I'm gonna....Make you suffer. MAKE. YOU! PAAAAAAAAAAY!!!”

And with a roar everything goes white, consumed by the blindingly bright brilliance.

After a few seconds that light fades, leaving you floating in an all too-familiar void. But this time you're not alone, and once more find yourself face-to-face with a far more bloody, brutal, and feral version of yourself. His long, flowing emerald hair is burnt in several places, matted with dried and fresh blood, and smelling of death and war. However, you know exactly what to do. This time you're not fighting for control.

“Kill him.” you say simply, your rage and bloodlust personified grinning a bloody smile at you. Then, as you feel everything going black, you use the last of your reason to once again unlock the demonic seal before fully abandoning your reason to your rage and hate. No more thoughts, only violence now.

-MEANWHILE, BACK IN THE ROOM OF POTENTIAL FUTURE-

“Hot damn.” you say with a whistle, watching the scroll of a potential timeline that didn't happen as the now enraged Karn is rampaging against the only living being he can see: Burcol. Despite utililzing the power of the angels, Ultra Instinct, he's no match for Karn's ungodly fury. Every blow he lands is completely disregarded, the mad Saiyan relentlessly attacking and brutalizing the Time Patroller. Over the next couple seconds more and more Patrollers are sent in, including the Three Idiots, but none of their attacks seem to slow the madman down. Then with a roar he charges, right fist forward, and roars out, “DRRRAAAAA!!”

But something clearly understood his cry, as his crimson Stand explodes forth! With seemingly no resistance you watch it pierce straight through the surprised Patroller's chest, quickly binding him in place just beyond Karn's fist. And then, for the first time since transforming into a Berserker God, Karn speaks.

“I wish this attack undoes him. Permanently.” he says, you feeling your jaw drop open. No way, his Stand can't do that. Can it?
“Understood.” Divine Dragon Force says, eyes flashing. And to the Patroller's horror, his body begins disentigrating! Starting from the hole in his chest, his body rapidly dissipates in similar fashion to someone who'd been Hakai'd. Within a few seconds his entire body is gone, then Karn's Stand begins vanishing as well. “It is done.”
“Huh, no wonder she hasn't sent him to eliminate Karn, just like she did with-” you mutter to yourself, then hearing the door above opening realize that you have to evacuate before you're found out! With a slash of your blade, you cut a small portal out of the Time Nest and this hidden chamber, slipping away unnoticed before any Time Patroller could see you in a restricted area. Not blowing your cover, not yet anyways. It's not time, not yet.

I'm very interested in seeing just how the whole Saiyan Blood Feud storyline plays out.
The fact that it also results in Karn getting buffs that are fitting for his character on top of being super useful is icing on the cake.
Is the original Legendary Super Saiyan's personality imprinted in Karn subconscious? Is that a thing? Is he trying to carry on his fight long past his natural death?

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After the death of Tatsu, father of Karn, said Saiyan confronted his daughter's raging, fiery emotions before taking Caulifla along to greet the Ginyu Force. Where a drunk Super Saiyan moron by the name of Goar was trying to pick a fight with Captain Ginyu and the Ginyu Force. Karn ended the drunk's idiocy, and accepted his sudden “volunteering” for joining his training sessions with his students. Then after catching up with the Ginyu Force, and learning Jeice's wife is pregnant, Karn then said his farewells to Freeza. The emperor of the universe left New Salda behind, the people from Megumin's home world in tow, then Karn took his family to lunch in the restaurant his father frequented in life. But now as we rejoin Karn, you've finished lunch and have moved out to the training sight. And look who actually didn't run away and decided to stay.

“Well well, look who sobered up.” you say, dropping out of the sky before the gathered students new and old. Especially new, as standing between your students you see the newest addition to your trainees. “Glad to see you're not a coward.”
“Y-Yeah.” the mustached man replies, clearly nervous at your arrival and confronting him directly. “Sir, about earlier today, I-”

You hold up a hand, the giant man silencing himself immediately. At least he's respectful while he's sober.

“What's done is done.” you say, slowly lowering your hand and glaring at him. “You're lucky that the Ginyu Force let you live, instead of killing you outright for your insubordination. Now, you'd better prove that your life was worth sparing. Do you understand me?”
“Y-YES SIR!” he shouts, snapping his heels together and giving you a full, proper salute. “I will do my best!”

Well, at least he seems sober and not nearly as insufferable as the drunk you'd first met. But how do you go about this?
>Spar against Goar for the ENTIRE class, beat into his head that what he did was unacceptable, out of line, and never to be repeated
>Put him with the most advanced students, see just how strong he really is, both mentally and physically
>Have him spar against a Multiform body of yourself for the entire class to give him a handicap, while still teaching the others and not taking away from them. They wanted to be here, and deserve your attention

“You'd better.” you say, crossing your arms in front of your chest and focusing your energy. “Because today, you're going to be sparring me. Haaaaaa!”

You focus your ki and use the Multiform technique, splitting your body in two! Now instead of looking at him from two eyes, you see him through four.

“What the hell is this?!” he shouts, taking a couple steps back in fear.
“Don't worry, you won't be fighting both of me.” you say, one of you walking past him towards the other students with Meloka, organizing everyone into their groups while you focus on Goar. “Just one. And with this technique, my power is cut in half. So I won't accidentally crush you with a single blow. Now, while the others are doing other training, I want you to fight me like you mean it. Don't hold back.”
“Yes sir!” he shouts, clenching his fists then roaring. “HAAAAAAA!!”

The man begins glowing golden with Super Saiyan power, his muscles rapidly expanding as he powers up into an Ultra Super Saiyan. His entire body swells, growing up to be at eye level with you in your Ascended Berserker form.

“Haaaaaah.” he sighs out, taking a very familiar fighting stance. It closely resembles your own, right arm back at the ready with his left held up defensively while crouching enough to center his weight. “I'm ready.”
“You'd better be.” you reply, taking your own fighting stance while also finishing setting up the teams. Your not-fighting body heads into one of the gravity chambers with several of the students, while your body in the sparring area faces down Goar. Then with your left hand, gesture for him to come at you and show you what he can do. “Show me what you can do.”
“HAAAA!” he shouts, immediately launching himself forward and swinging at you with a heavy right. But you don't just stand there and take it, instead deflecting his right forearm with your left as you step into his charge. And before he can recover you swing your right fist, catching the giant square in the gut. “GUAH!”

“Too slow!” you criticize, firing off a pair of quick shots to the jaw before kicking him in the chin, launching him back and away from you. Goar recovers midair, flipping back and landing on his feet with a tremendous crash. The ground shakes from the impact, and you realize that, keeping your power suppressed, you could have some fun with this sparring match.

But how do you handle him?
>Su Ma, constantly out speed and out work him to push yourself

You change your stance, keeping your left arm in the same position, but step a bit back with your right foot and raise yourself up a bit more while raising your right arm up at the ready. With your thumb towards the ground and pinkie towards the sky. Ready to swing your fist down like a giant hammer.

“Was that your best?” you ask, Goar not hesitating and again charging full speed towards you. This time he doesn't swing with a right, instead leaning back and firing off a powerful thrusting front kick. His full power and momentum head directly at you, but instead of taking that head-on you swing your right fist down diagonally with a roar. “HAAAAA!”

Your forearm crashes into his shin, knocking his kick aside with his foot less than six inches from your face. Then before he can recover you charge, slamming your shoulder directly into his guts. With so much momentum charging into you he isn't sent flying backwards, instead simply stopping him cold. Despite the hit you don't stun him, the giant swinging his left fist down at you like a hammer. Raising your right arm you swat his blow aside with the back of your hand, then fire a straight left directly up into his jaw. This one sends him staggering back, taking two steps back to recover his balance. As he does you take the opportunity to get a running start, taking a pair of quick steps before leaping, and swinging a heavy right into his jaw.

“Gah! Dammit!” he snarls, your blow staggering him in a quick circle as you regain your feet. But he doesn't go down, as as he spins around he swings a powerful right backfist at you. Raising your right arm you knock his arm over your head, then simultaneously fire off a straight left directly into his exposed side. You strike him with one, two, three quick blows to his side before he staggers back, clutching his ribs. Leaving his face wide open, which you take full advantage of with a flying left knee square to his face. “Shii-!”
“HAAA!” you roar, spinning backwards and hitting him upside the head with a heavy roundhouse kick. This one drops him, knocking him around a hundred eighty degrees before dropping down to all fours. You land lightly on your feet, sighing out as you see him not immediately retaking his feet. Seems that one rocked him good. You listen as he tries catching his breath, you standing over him impatiently. “Was that all?”

“D-Dammit!” he snarls, slamming his fist down on the ground. It cracks under the point of impact, you feeling it through your boots. Goar then plants his hands palms down on the ground, and slowly pushes himself upright. He shakes his head, then turns back around to face you once again. Chest heaving, but despite his body trembling slightly he remains standing. “I'm not quitting!”
“That's the spirit!” you reply, retaking your Djem So fighting stance. But he doesn't retake his, instead taking a much more defensive one. Both arms up, fists by his head and elbows covering his guts. “Done attacking already?”

But he doesn't answer your obvious provocation, keeping his defenses up while trying to regain his breath. You smirk at this, glad he finally quit attacking recklessly and is beginning to use his brain. Seems there's hope for him yet.

"Well, if you're not going to come at me..." you say, crouching a bit in anticipation of charging in. He sees you readying to charge, dropping his level a bit. “Let's see how you handle THIS!”

You kick off the ground, dashing directly at Goar and make him think that you''re going to go for a heavy right of your own. But as you close to grips, instead of striking, you instead spin your entire body clockwise. With a twist you end up BEHIND your opponent, backs to each other's. He turns trying to keep his eye on you, but he's too slow, and catches a right backfist to the jaw. Your punch staggers him a step, Goar catching himself with his left foot and turning with a left hook. But you're ready for his retaliatory strike, reversing your spin and with a counterclockwise twist evade his strike. Again you fire off a backfist, left hand striking his jaw an instant before your movement continues, firing off a straight right to his left temple.

“Guh, D-Dammit!” he snarls, then tries firing off a counter-backfist. But you're ready and flip straight OVER him. “Wha-!?”
Haaaa!” you shout, firing off a right knee to the back of the head that drops Goar. He again drops down to all fours, you flipping back and landing on your feet while he's down on the ground.
“What? The hell?” he mutters, shaking his head and trying to raise back up to his feet. You let him, and the moment he's upright you dash back in. As he spins, turning to face you, you flip once again up and over his head. Spinning you land on the ground behind Goar, who's confused where you went and leaving his entire back exposed. So you take full advantage of the opening, kicking off the ground and driving your left elbow directly into his back. “GAAH!”

“You have to keep up!” you taunt, and with continuous flips, spins and rolls keep up the pressure. You relentlessly strike Goar from all sides, who abandons attacking back and simply tries defending himself from your onslaught. The large Saiyan man recoils with each hit, but despite the ferocity of your rush doesn't go down again. Even after taking more than a hundred blows, he's still standing, then tries catching you by surprise.
“HAAAAA!!” he roars, throwing his arms wide and firing off an Explosive Wave. But you were ready, flipping backwards, and landing on your hands to spring back away, landing with a slide on your feet as he lowers his arms back down. “Haaah, haaaah. Dammit.”
“Not a bad strategy.” you tell him, retaking your fighting stance. “But we're just getting started.”

For the next hour or so, you keep up the pressure, beating on Goar until he can't stand, then waiting until he rises once again for more. He takes relentless punishment, yet refuses to stay down. It's honestly impressive that, no matter how much punishment you deal out, he refuses to quit and keeps getting up. By the time training is over, he's barely conscious but still determinedly standing tall.

“Not bad, you're tougher than I thought.” you say, sighing out and powering down, walking over and laying a hand on his shoulder. “Have a seat.”
“Here.” your other body says, bringing over a water and handing it over to him. Goar takes it with his shaky hands, slowly raising it to his mouth and drinking from the bottle. He chugs it down graciously, then falls to the ground in complete exhaustion before reverting back into his base form. You look at yourself, then merge your bodies back together into one being.

“Phew.” you sigh out, then turn from the downed Goar and address your other students. “Excellent work everyone! You all did well. We'll meet back up tomorrow same time, same place. Now, does anyone know where Goar here lives?”
“I do.” you hear, looking over your students to see Cenoria with her hand raised a bit timidly. “He did mention which district he was stationed in earlier, before training.”
“Good. I'll leave him to you then.” you tell her, then address everyone at large. “I will see you all tomorrow. Until then!”

You wave them all off, then turn towards your family and start walking over towards them. As you do, to your surprise, suddenly you sense four distinct powerlevels rushing towards you all. Looks like Chaya's fight is over, and they're back.

“Cauli!” Chaya shouts, dive-bombing her sister and bear-hugging her into the ground. For a moment you're worried about your daughter, but as the dust clears you see that Caulifla's fine. In fact she seems to be in a hell of a lot better shape than Chaya, who's covered in dried blood and wearing a uniform that is in shreds. “You saved me sis! That little jar was a real lifesaver! I owe you one!”
“G-Glad it helped.” Caulifla says, doing her best to speak despite being smothered by her sister.

She wants to tell us all about it, that's much is clear. I can imagine the twins are excited to provide certain details and sound effects as well.

“Chaya, what happened to you?” you ask your daughter, shocked by the condition she was clearly in before being healed. Caulifla clearly had given her another magical healing item that she'd taken to Dreadzone at one point too in case of getting messed up, but this level of abuse she'd withstood is insane. She appears to have been beaten and flayed far worst than she did in her battle against that Stand-wielding Sangheili bastard she'd taken down years ago. “I thought you were going to be fighting someone you'd handled easily before?”
“I did. And she's gotten a lot better, too.” your eldest daughter tells you enthusiastically. “She had a whole buncha new swords and stuff, including some that cut me without ever actually hitting me. Those were a real pain. But they weren't even the craziest weapons she had!”

You listen to Chaya as she describes the battle excitedly, the many twists and turns it took, and all the surprises the swordswoman Erza had in store for your daughter. By the time she's finished, all of your students have left, leaving only your family and Raditz, who showed up mid-story, here.

“It was soooo cool!” Kayle shouts excitedly, waving her arms. “Big sis was all, 'Pow, blam! Kaboom!”
“Yeah!” Maz agrees, just as excited as his sister was during Chaya's retelling. “All those swords flyin' around like Momma's Eyes were super cool!”
“It was a close fight.” you hear Broly say, off to the side. Then so low you almost missed it, he adds. “Too close.”
“It was the best fight I had in a long time!” Chaya says excitedly. “But of course I still came out on top. No matter what kinda fancy tricks they try, nobody there's strong enough to beat me!”
“Maybe not, but it's best not to get overconfident.” you say to her cautiously. “Never know who's hiding their true strength, and just waiting for their chance to strike.”

“Good to see you made it back, but we've got to get going.” Chilli then says, catching you a bit off guard. “We've got to get back to the village.”
“Already?” Caulifla asks, looking shocked and more than a little hurt by his announcement. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah, I'm sure Cauli.” he says, bracing himself as she rockets herself directly at him. He actually reaches back and grabs Megumin by the wrist just before impact, as the force of her charge into him creates a decently-sized shock wave. It would have blown the much less powerful Crimson Demon away, were it not for his grip on her. As soon as the blast ends he lets her go, and hugs his now-crying little sister. “But we're hopefully gonna have the house finished up and ready in about a week, and you and everybody can come and see it.”

“Do- *sniff* Do you mean it?” she asks, looking him in the eyes. To which Chilli laughs, patting her head with his free hand.
“Of course Cauli.” he answers, then looks over to you. “Everyone's invited. Just give us another week, and it should be ready for you all to come stay with us.”

Caulifla doesn't answer, just burying her face in her brother's chest another several seconds before letting him go. You can see she's crying again, but obviously trying to hold herself together. She's clearly still a mess from everything that's happened today, and probably will be for another couple days at least. She is a sensitive kid, after all.

“We'll have enou-” he starts, then suddenly freezes. From the expression on his face, he's clearly in telepathic communication with someone. And the news he's getting isn't good. “Dammit. Megu, we gotta go. Now.”
“Everything okay?” Meloka asks, realizing something is no doubt wrong. “Something happening there?”
“Another demon attack. We've got this.” he says, turning and meeting your gaze. “I can handle this.”
“Go get 'em.” you say to your son, and to his clear shock you hold out your hand to him, much as you had to Ginyu and Freeza both earlier today. He looks from your hand to your face, shellshocked, then with a grin takes your much larger arm in his hand. You wrap your hand around his, share a nod with your son, then the two of you let go simultaneously. He's got this under control.

Chilli takes Megumin in his arms in a princess carry, then blasts off the ground towards Raven's ki. You watch as Chilli flies off with a smile on your face, knowing full well that he'll be able to handle whatever problem his adopted world will throw at him. And if not, well, you'll be more than happy to back him up.

But what now?

"It's been a day. So, you know what? I think you all should get the rest of the day off." you say to the kids, who all look surprised, then excited. “Go have fun.”
“Wait, really?” Broly asks, brow raised.
“Yay!” Maz and Kayle shout excitedly, throwing their arms up.
“Well that's a surprise.” Tatsu and Tomi say together, sharing a glance with Broly. Who all clearly communicate for a moment before speaking up again. “Okay, you and Mom have fun We'll take the younger two out for a bit too, so you guys can have some free time.”

“Come on, let's go see what's going on near the pit.” Broly says to Maz and Kayle, the younger twins shouting out and following him into the air. Tatsu and Tomi look between them, then Caulifla, then share a glance before lifting into the air, and taking off in a different direction. You aren't sure where they plan on going but don't ask, Caulifla looking around confused for a moment.

“Everything okay Caulifla?” Meloka asks her, your daughter looking to you both with an odd expression on her face. “Cauli?”
“I...I'm...Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine.” she says, bringing a smile up to her face. But you can see it doesn't go all the way to her eyes. You're about to say something when she takes to the air, and flies off. You focus on her ki a moment, and find out she's not flying back to the city, but towards the Jiralhanae ship-city on the mending Glass Plain.
“Do you think she's okay?” Meloka asks you, looking worried.
“She'll be fine. Today's been hard on everybody.” you tell her, then to your wife's surprise sweep her up off her feet. “She just needs some time to herself. And so do we.”
“Ohhh, I see.” she says with a mischievous giggle, leaning up and giving you a kiss before pointing off into the forest. “Well then, how about we go over there, instead of the ship? That way we don't have to worry about breaking anything.”

Which you comply with, taking Meloka into the forest and away from the rest of civilization for awhile. An hour or two later, after you've both exhausted yourselves and you both are laying in the newly-formed crater from your...Activities, a thought comes to mind. So while Meloka's laying limply atop you, catching her breath, you decide to reach out telepathically to Head Scientist Daiko.

“Hey, I'm not interrupting anything, am I?” you ask him telepathically, you feeling his momentary shock as you think directly to him. “We need to talk.”
“Karn? Of course, what's going on?” he asks you after a few moments. “Anything I can help with?”
“I hope so. What do you know of those Mindslayers?” you ask him, curious to know what information he already has. But the instant you ask, you can feel his frustration through the telepathic link.

“Like I already told King Vegeta, I cannot make a helmet that makes one immune to their psychic assaults.” he says, almost sounding exasperated. “Look, I have no idea how their ability functions. And even if I did, if it's magical or something besides just an aftereffect of the frequency, there isn't anything I can do.”

“No no, I wasn't asking for anything special like that.” you tell him. “I wanted to know what you know, so I didn't have to explain. But I do need something that will let me fight them underwater, without having to come up for air.”
“You mean like those space combat suits we developed, that ended up not being used by anyone during the Great War except for ship maintenance?” he asks you, and suddenly you remember hearing something about them. But also that the suits were bulky, and not made to your transformed size. “I'm sure I could rig one up for the increased pressure underneath the waves. The gravitational pressure would increase substantially the deeper into the ocean you go, but it shouldn't be too difficult.”

“Not quite. I don't need a whole suit.” you tell him. “Not that you have any in my transformed size. I just need a compact head gear that will give me breathable air, and that I won't accidentally break in a fight.”
“Ah, I understand.” he replies. “I'll start getting to work on a couple of prototypes, but I will need you to come in for measurements. Your transformation is quite unique, and it's not like I have someone in here to compare to.”
“Sure, I can swing by in a little bit.” you tell him, Meloka recovering and looking down at you with a look in her eye. “See you in a bit.”

You and Meloka then spend another hour-ish out in the wilderness by yourselves, enjoying each other's company to the fullest. Then when she's spent and can't go on for any longer, the two of you gather up your things, and fly off towards the opposite, closer end of the continent to take a quick dip in the sea to freshen up before heading back. But as you approach the sea, you come to an odd sight that you haven't seen before. There, just below the waves, you spot something odd. What appear to be some sort of fishy, frog-like creatures wielding spears are repeatedly stabbing the corpse of one of the crab-like Rak'kari. Each individual is weak, no more than a few hundred powerlevel each, but for them to have killed a substantially stronger creature like a Rak'kari, they must be dangerous.

“What do you think?” Meloka asks, looking at the unsettling creatures. “Should we just wipe them out?”

Well?
>Head out over the deep water before diving in, give these strange creatures a wide berth
>Ignore them and jump right in. If they're dumb enough to attack either of you, then they deserve to die
>Blast them from the air, don't give them the option to attack before getting in the water

"I want to save two of them." you say to Meloka, telepathically telling her your plan.
"If you want." she replies, snapping her fingers and creating two dozen of her Warding Eyes around herself. Which somehow alerts the aquatic creatures, who all stop stabbing the corpse simultaneously and turn their gazes up towards her. Spotted, you act quickly raising your hands and focusing your own ki into your two index fingertips. "Back me up, in case any get away."

Then without another word you fire, two Death Beams aimed directly at the closest two's heads. Before they can react, your fast, narrow beams pierce directly through their heads. Your twin beams drop the first two instantly, the third of the creatures immediately begins trying to swim away. But Meloka doesn't let it escape, sending a single Warding Eye down at the beast. But as you drop down towards the slain creatures, suddenly you sense more than twenty powerlevels suddenly shoot up all around you as four of the creatures leap out of the water at you, spears drawn! It was a trap?!

"www.owlboy.com/wowwiki/mMurlocAggroB.mp3 “ they shout, all trying to impale you with their weapons. But despite the attempted ambush, you're far faster and stronger than these creatures. And far better with your energy as well, snapping your Energy Body back up to full power around you in a blink. Their stone spearheads shatter against your hardened ki, the creatures making confused noises at their attack failing.
“My turn.” you say, and attack. With a right backhanded blow you decapitate one, and using the momentum twist into a left turning kick that bisects another. You then throw your left hand forward, jamming a knife hand directly through the third's face before grabbing the fourth around the head, snapping it's jaws shut and with a bit of effort crush it's head. Then the water sprayed up from their charge begins dropping back towards the sea, along with the bodies that disturbed it. The beasts in the sea see you, and to your surprise don't immediately back down.

“HAAAA!” you hear Meloka shout, and from what you can sense is battling a swarm of these things herself. But you can't focus on that, as this time twelve of the creatures leap out of the water at you. But as they do, you notice something different. Planted in the sand by one of the creatures is another spear of sort, but it's glowing with an unfamiliar energy you can't sense. The attacking creatures shout again, and once more swing. But it doesn't go quite like the first one. Three weapons still shatter against your ki, but the rest actually manage to pierce your Energy Body! Not deep enough to actually cut you, but the fact that they're doing better means you can't afford to take any risk here. You have to end this, quick!

“Die!” you snarl, going on the offensive. You focus the ones who's attacks managed to pierce into your ki first, driving your fists into and through the ones directly on either side of you. Then, faster than the rest can react, swing both arms forward, smashing those two bodies along with the other six caught between your arms together in a fine spray of blood and viscera. But you're not done yet, and spin a right backhanded fist towards the last few. Two manage to duck your attack, splashing harmlessly back into the sea below as your attack bisects or just splatters the rest. You then turn back to the rest of them below you, and spread your arms out. “Anyone else want to die?”

“RwlRwlRwlRwlRwl!!” the one next to that glowing spear shouts as it now bursts out of the water, wielding another spear. But as it draws the weapon overhead to thrust it at you, sparks begin dancing along the spear's stone head. Your eyes widen in shock, as this is clearly some sort of magic, and decide that you in fact don't want to test your armor against magic again. So as it tries swinging you reach out with your right hand, catching the weapon by the wooden haft and holding the point a good couple feet away from your body. “RwlRwlRwl?”
“No you.” you retort, snapping the spear with ease and then flipping it around in your hand, then swinging it down to skewer the beast through the top of it's head and throw it back down into the water. Upon seeing this the rest immediately scatter, swimming out into the deeper water with surprising speed.

“Ah-! H-Hey! Get back here!” Meloka shouts, sounding more indignant at them trying to flee than anything. Then with a snarl sends a half dozen of her Warding Eyes out after them, the eyes firing Death Beams down into the fleeing creatures for a good few seconds until they run out of power. Your wife then turns to you, confused. “Have you ever seen these things before? Because I haven't.”
“Me neither.” you reply, your earlier concerns resurfacing. “I'm going to go ahead and take the bodies on.”
“Wash yourself off first.” she says, then looks back into the red water by the shoreline. “Maybe a little further away from here.”

You both wash yourselves off away from the bloody water, Meloka getting dressed and heading out to re-gather the kids for supper while you use your telekinesis to grab the corpses and bring them to you, two of these strange creatures' and the Rak'Kari's, then focus your ki sense. After a moment's thought you find the crab-people's city, find one of the powerlevels that far outstrip the others, take a deep breath, and teleport with your Instant Transmission. Teleporting directly in front of one of the giant underwater predators, a Mindslayer. Because of course that's what it is.

Wasting no time you end your Energy Body, focus your ki, and fire off a wide-angled wave of emerald energy directly in the beast's face. Your ki explodes out from your hand, obliterating the creature's gaping maw and much of it's head before you end your attack. That dealt with, you then look around for the nearest Rak'kari, finding a familiar glowing one rapidly swimming towards you.

“Surface dweller?” it asks telepathically. “How are you here? We did not feel your approach.”
“Secret technique.” you answer also telepathically, tapping your forehead. Then you let your expression grow serious, and gesture with your left arm to what you're holding. “Unfortunately, I found one of yours dead near the shore, on the other side of the continent. And these....Things. Have you seen them before?”
“More Abyssal monsters.” comes the reply, then focusing on his fallen ally. “Hold on. He was a proud warrior, who has served many years. Did he fall to a mere TWO of these...things?”
“Not likely. We killed a few dozen, my wife and I.” you reply, giving him the body of his fellow crab man and one of the creatures. “I just wanted to know if you've seen these things before.”
“Unfortunately I have. Nasty creatures that worship the Abyss.” he answers. “If they've already spread to the other side of the sea, then there's no doubt they will be upon us soon as well. Thank you for this knowledge, surface dweller.”

“You're welcome.” you tell him, then decide to give him the other good news. “I'll be taking this one to warn my own people. Also, I will soon be receiving the means to battle alongside you all without having to return to the surface for a longer period of time to battle these creatures.”
“This is good news indeed. I look forward to fighting alongside you once more.” he replies, leaning back and showing you his underside. You do the same, then kicking off the seafloor dash back towards the surface. It takes less than twenty seconds to reach the air, you not wanting to move too face and create any water shock waves that could cause problems for their city. Then once you break free into the open air you flare your aura, blasting the water off of you, then turn back towards the mainland and take off. Just a quick visit to Daiko and his team, then it's back home for supper. Simple enough, right? What could go wrong?

Your flight over the open ocean towards the scientists rather unique tower on the mainland is short, but gives you nearly a minute to consider what you'd seen. Those little frog-like creatures weren't exactly a threat to you, but for the Rak'kari's strongest fighter to have been as worried of them as he was, perhaps letting others know of these things wouldn't be a bad idea. So as you fly, you quickly fill King Vegeta in on what you saw on the far, uninhabited side of the continent.

“More creatures coming out of the damn water?” he asked, you feeling his exasperation. “Thanks for the warning. Something that can use magic could prove to be bothersome. I'll send a couple hunting parties out, and we'll see what they find.”
“Tell them to be careful.” you advise the king, spotting the tower and slowing your flight as you approach. “Despite having powerlevels in the low hundreds-ish, they managed to actually pierce into my Energy Body. These things are pack hunters too, they won't find one or two alone.”
“I'll let them know. What're you doing?” he then asks, no doubt sensing your ki and where you are. “If you're going to ask about something to stop those damned Mindslayers, don't bother. I already asked.”
“Haha, he told me.” you reply with an audible chuckle as well, landing just outside the tower's door and knocking politely. “No, I'm just getting something so I can breathe underwater long enough to really take the fight to those monsters.”

“Must not be sleeping enough, I never even considered it.” Vegeta replies, and for a split-second as he speaks about it you can feel his weariness through the connection. “Good luck with that.”
“Get yourself some rest, my King.” you tell him as gently as possible, hearing what sounds like a massive crank turning behind the door. “You're no use to anyone if you can't think enough to problem solve. We're all relying on you to make the best decisions.”
“You're right, I should get some rest.” he replies after a moment. “After I get this last bit of paperwork finished up.”
“I'll take care of him.” Emilia's mind suddenly interjects, thrusting her mind into the telepathic conversation. “Leave him to me.”
“Will do.” you reply, ending your mental link as the door opens. Not to the head guy Daiko, but to your surprise B7 is the one standing there. “Hey, there you are! I didn't see you at training today, is everything okay?”

“Was it another one of those Project: Scyther creatures?” you ask, B7 nodding. “Very impressive.”
“Yes, and we only had four casualties.” he reports happily, turning to lead you into the facility. “Luckily I was there in the same wing, helping with another project so I was close by. It only got to about half the team working on the project here in the building today, unlike last time.”

“Those things are a menace.” you reply, remembering your fight with the predatory abomination they'd developed. You try and imagine unleashing a dozen or so of them on a hostile, developed world, or even if a dozen of them escaped the building here, and feel a shudder go up your spine. They may not be as powerful as the majority of the populace, but there's no doubt they could cause substantial damage before all twelve could be hunted down and killed. Perhaps experimenting with these things here on your home planet isn't such a good idea?

“What's that?” B7 asks, snapping you out of your thoughts. Shaking your head and blinking you focus on the here and now, and see the Saldaman pointing a clawed finger at the creature in your hand. “I've never seen anything like that before!”
“Me neither, which is the problem.” you tell him, and as the two of you get in the elevator you quickly tell him what you'd learned.
“Perhaps the R&D guys could take a look at it?” he asks, more to himself than you. “Maybe they can find out what they are? Want to do that before visiting with Head Scientist Daiko?”

Which is a good question. Well?

“I don't think I have the time today, mind taking care of this for me?” you ask, B7 nodding and pressing a button on the panel.
“Of course, I wouldn't mind.” he replies, taking the creature's corpse from you much-larger hand. “We'll see what they can do with this.”
“Warn them that they might be Abyssal creatures, and under NO circumstances is this thing to be used for something like that monstrosity that got out.” you warn him as the elevator begins descending deeper into the planet. “ These things, at least some of them, can use some sort of magic too. Last thing we need is one of those things escaping containment and wandering around that can also use magic.”

“I can agree with that.” B7 says. “I saw what the Guardian can do when she was fighting against those demons, magic is incredibly scary.”
“Yeah.” you reply, the elevator rattling to a stop. The doors slide open, B7 stepping out first.
“This way.” he says, leading you into the kind of familiar testing grounds, you seeing two people in the giant armored suits trading blows while a dozen people watch, taking notes and recording. But then you spot him, Daiko with his quiet assistant woman suited up beside him. She is wearing a full skin-tight suit, with some sort of mask on her face with a pair of hoses connected to some sort of harness on the front. “Daiko, Karn's here.”

“Ah, perfect timing.” he says, turning from her to face you and B7. You see a pair of tools in his hands, and despite a few smudges on his uniform and face, seems happy to see you. Until he sees the thing in B7's hand. “What. Is THAT?”
“Oh, this?” you ask, gesturing to the creature in B7's hand. “Something new I found. These things swarmed and killed a Rak'kari warrior, using wooden spears and some sort of magic too. So I brought one along, to give to your guys to disect and make sure they're okay to eat, among other things.”
“I see. You've clearly been busy today.” he answers, then turns back to his assistant in the setup. “What do you think? Was this something like what you had in mind?”

Well?

“Yes, if it works and scalable to your giant frame, it'll work great.” you say, then have a thought. “But I do have a question. Can it withstand my Energy Body technique?”
“Energy Body?” he asks. “What is that technique?”
“Here, watch this.” you say, and focus your energy. Your emerald aura blazes up around you, blasting everyone back away from you. “Whoops, sorry about that. Let a bit too much out there.”
“It's all fine.” Daiko says, pushing himself upright and dusting himself off. “Is this it? Blazing your aura up?”
“No, I just needed to power up a bit.” you tell him, then close your eyes and cross your arms in front of you. Time to make a demonstration out of this. “Now, this is how it works.”

Focusing your ki, you begin drawing it in towards you. Your aura begins condensing, hardening around your body and forming a suit of near-impenetrable armor.

“THIS is the Energy Body.” you tell him, body glowing bright with hardened ki. “It forms an armored barrier around my body, protecting me from most physical attacks.”
“Really? Interesting.” he asks, walking up and looking close at your body. He reaches out, and jabs at you with the pointed tool in his hand. It strikes your Energy Body, but is unable to pierce into it. “Did you feel that?”
“Yeah, but it didn't hurt.” you tell him. “I could tell you touched me, but that's all.”
“I see.” he says, backing up curiously. “It shouldn't be a problem. Just a few tweaks to the materials, and giving the outer layer a bit of pliable armor like the suits are made of should make it durable enough to be encased in your energy. It hasn't damaged your suit when you use it, and hasn't compacted it enough for a crack to form. I think I can have a solid prototype developed within a couple weeks, once I get your measurements.”

“Sounds like a plan.” you say, and in your giant form take a knee by Daiko so he can get your measurements. It only takes him a minute, two at most, and he says that he should already have all the needed materials on-site. “Appreciate this. The sooner I can start exterminating those Mindslayers, the better.”
“I'll have B7 send you a message, once it's ready for testing.” he replies, then gestures as you stand up. “Need anything else, or was this all?”
“No, this was it.” you say, then as an afterthought. “Also, make sure they don't use this thing to make any more experimental creatures. I don't want any magic-wielding monsters running around and escaping containment.”
“You have my word.” he says, and you can tell by his expression he's serious. “But, before you go, one question.”

“Sure, what is it?” you ask him. And you can tell by his expression he's searching for the right words for a few moments before speaking.
“Did....Earlier today, when your daughter was fighting. Did you happen to catch it?” he asks you, the question surprising to say the least.
“No, but I got the play by play from Chaya when she got back.” you say, then to your surprise he shakes his head.
“Not Chaya. Caulifla.” he says, and suddenly you feel a knot of worry in your guts. “Earlier today. Right after you.... Gave Tatsu his final battle. I happened to be testing a new powerlevel scanner at the time, and, well.... I don't know how to say this, so I'll just say it. Her powerlevel completely vanished. For a time today, your daughter was no longer here. So I checked the records, the older machines kept up in the tower record back several months of the data they receive. And I noticed it happened one other time. Just after you vanished for awhile as well. Is...Is she okay?”

“Yeah, she's just unlocked a rather unique ability.” you tell him, explaining her Stand and what she can do when really pissed off and raging uncontrollably. “But I wouldn't recommend getting close to her while she's doing it, apparently she can melt machine warriors just by standing next to them, and glass the sand itself beneath her feet.”
“So those temperature spikes weren't anomalies, and the machines are functioning within parameters.” he mutters to himself, clearly getting lost in thought for several moments before shaking his head, and turning his gaze back to you. “Appreciate the information. I'll get started with the dimensions here, and start creating the rebreather for you to take the fight to those underwater pests!”
“Appreciate it Daiko.” you say with a wave, turning back towards the elevator. B7 goes with you, shutting the doors and pressing the buttons. You feel the elevator begin climbing back towards the planet's surface, the two of you riding in silence.

Well? Do you break this silence?

"While we're here by ourselves, I got a question for you." you say, turning your head and looking down to the smaller creature. He looks up, meeting your gaze curiously. “How do you feel about living in the tower here?”
“Huh? Why do you ask?” he asks, confused. “What do you mean?”
“I was just asking.” you retort, and look at the closed doors before you before continuing. “Because if you want, well, I'm sure I could convince them to let you come live on the ship with me and my family.”
“I...Thank you.” B7 says, you looking back to see him looking away. “That means a lot, really. But I should stay here. I know you mean well, but they NEED me here”
“Hey no worries.” you tell him with a smile, reaching down and patting him on the shoulder. “I know what it's like to be needed, and on hand for any problems. But the offer's always open B7, if you ever don't wish to stay here.”
“Thank you.” he says, meeting your gaze and giving you a nod. The elevator then stops, doors sliding open and revealing the first room you'd walked into. “I won't forget.”

“Have a good one B7.” you say, waving to him and walking towards the door. It slides open before you, then closes as you walk outside. Looking over you see the sun's on it's descent, heading towards the sea as the evening draws closer. So you raise your right hand, focus on Meloka's ki, and use your Instant Transmission to teleport directly to your family. You appear beside your wife, and find yourself in the ship's mess hall. Looking around, you see that everyone's already gathered for a meal. Except for Chilli and Megumin, who're back on her homeworld. Supper is excellent, as always when prepared by Silver and his disciples, you enjoying it to the fullest. Then once your meal's all done, most of your kids head off towards the ship's showers to wash the day off.

Meanwhile, on a whim you head outside, deciding to watch the sun keep dropping. As it drops down seemingly into the water, the sea itself suddenly appears as if it's on fire! The whole world, for a few moments looks not like a peaceful world, but one burning in the fires of war. Then, as you blink, everything changes. The sea is ACTUALLY on fire now, dead bodies floating lifelessly in the sea. What in the world happened here?

“Your world is finished!” Beerus the Destroyer roars, throwing the attack down towards you. But then you see yourself and Meloka step forward. The two of you look in rough shape, but neither you nor your wife stand down against the God of Destruction himself.

“This is OUR WORLD!” you roar, throwing your large Berserker arms wide as you begin gathering your ki. “And we're not letting you destroy it!”
“HAAAAAAA!!” Meloka shouts, leaping in front of you and mirroring your pose. This vision of you and your wife gather your energies into identical attacks, then unleash your attacks together with a shout of “FINAL FLASH!!”

Swirling emerald and golden energies mix, creating a powerful, unstoppable beam. Their combined attack crashes into the Destroyer's world-ending blast, seemingly not slowing the attack at all. They need something more, something even more powerful to stop Beerus's attack. But then the vision's over, the sun going down over the horizon and the burning light fading off the surface of the water.

“A vision?” you say to yourself, looking down at your hand and see it's trembling a bit as a familiar voice speaks up beside you.
“Looks like you've seen into quite the awful future.” comes the voice of the ancient Sith, Darth Bane as he materializes beside you. “The God of Destruction himself, coming to destroy your world. But what will you do about this?”
“Heh. This changes nothing.” you say, clenching your fist. This stops the shaking, you turning and meeting the spirit's curious gaze with a grin. “I have seven years to get ready for this coming battle. This just proves that I need to work harder, to get even stronger to protect everyone important to me.”
“You are in interesting creature, Saiyan.” the ancient spirit says with a curious expression on his face. But then before he can say anything else, you hear your wife calling to you from the ship.

“Karn? Is everything okay?” she asks, you turning to face your wife. You see her holding Karn Jr in her arms, your youngest son feeding from her as she looks at you curiously.
“Everything's just fine hun.” you say with a smile, turning your back on the sea and the vision you'd seen and start walking back to the ship with a smile on your face. No matter what threatening terrors the future may hold, or whatever problems await you tomorrow, you're going to be ready to face it all head on. You've built a dynasty here in this universe, and you'll be damned if you let anything take that away from you. You're going to keep pushing yourself, further and further until nothing in this universe, or any other, can take away what you've built.

>>
>>5218470
I wouldn't be surprised if her belief was more that it's possible for everyone to be protected and helped in general. It would explain why she pushes herself so hard and why this event shook her.

I mean, it's not an unreasonable belief when she's seen her parents overcome the things they have, but if she can replace "just work harder dammit every loss is preventable" with "I'll become the best I can be to help everyone that I can" things will be better in the long run.
>>
>>5218477
>I wouldn't be surprised if her belief was more that it's possible for everyone to be protected and helped in general
This is very close to what she believes.
>but if she can replace...things will be better in the long run.
That is one potential pathway her character can start developing next arc. But it is by no means the ONLY way. There are many different ways she can change and grow from this experience.

QM QUESTIONS

Since this arc has been going on since January 30th of LAST year with episode 150, I want to know what everyone’s thoughts are about it. Yes, I know the scope did quickly get away from me, and a lot of how I thought the arc would go down hasn’t even happened yet. But despite that, did you enjoy the longest arc in SCQ history? Do you prefer the two-week threads over weekly new episodes? Which moments were your favorite, and what are you most looking forward to within the next few arcs? Which of the many quests that you’ve picked up are you most looking forward to resolving before the Battle of Gods arc begins? And, as always, are you enjoying the ride?
>>
>>5219268
I forgot how long the ARC has been going really, there was always some progress to do, and side jobs to complete. And Dadding. Lots of Dadding.
>Do you prefer the two-week threads over weekly new episodes?
Yeah I like using threads till they finish at sage. Makes the archive readers have chunkier chapters to go through too.
>Which moments were your favorite, and what are you most looking forward to within the next few arcs?
Hard choice, our son Chilli's wedding, seeing our Demon kids for once and being the best dad we can for them, learning that we need to have a talk with our curse daughter because her fetish is really concerning. Kazuma is fun whenever he shows up to seethe at how useless Aqua was for him getting Saiyan powers.
>Which of the many quests that you’ve picked up are you most looking forward to resolving before the Battle of Gods arc begins?
Either dragging Shin into a ring on live TV to beat his purple ass black and red, killing Babidi, finding out how Freeza is doing with Kazuma going after the Dragon Balls. Fighting Beerus and making Weis stop the uppity cat from being too annoying and getting killed.
>And, as always, are you enjoying the ride?
>The Ride Never Ends.
At least until I'm sure Caulifla is okay. And her suitors can survive the Gravity Chamber if they try to make a move on her.
>>
>>5219287
Yes, it’s been quite a while.
Been wondering about that, and have to say I agree partially. But having them shorter did make searching something far easier due to the description.
Chilli’s wedding was fun to write, especially their Crystal/Explosion Combo Magic. Back with the half-demons is great, being able to show their personality developments over time has been fun.
>Kazuma
For a man with a well above-average Luck stat, life seems to try REALLY HARD to counter that.
>Shin and Babidi
Not making appearances this upcoming arc, except maybe in epilogues.
>Beerus
He’s the arc AFTER this one, if we don’t get any further off track.
The ride never ends indeed. And calm down, Caulifla’s only 9 now.
>>
>>5219268
I’m glad to see SCQ’s Boat Arc finally come to a close. i’ve been semi-checked out since last summer so it looks like i should do some catching up in the archives now.
>>
>>5219379
Have fun with the reading, and when you’re done let me know what you’ve thought of this long arc. We’ve done a whole lot of setup that’ll hopefully pay off in this upcoming arc.
>>
Is Meloka ever going to push for Golden Oozaru and SS4?

Obviously WE know that in the future she'll get SSGod, but I don't know if she's fully aware of that. If she's not, why isn't she chasing this avenue to a 10x power boost, that Vegeta, Bardock, etc. have already demonstrated to be achievable?
>>
I personally can't really talk much about the pacing of this arc. I started reading the quest in ~May of last year, and just tore through the archive.

I had around 150-plus episodes to read, and once I finished one, I could just open up the next thread and immediately keep going. So once I caught up, it obviously seemed a lot slower in pace, but that's because of having to wait for each weekend for the new live session; can't properly compare the writing/story pace to that of older threads.

I know you guys who've been here the whole time feel that the Hive arc really dragged on. For me I was able to just plow right through it in one go and it wasn't a problem at all; goes to show that I don't really have any fair point of comparison for this most recent arc. To me this arc only seemed to drag a bit because I was having to wait weeks to read and participate in real-time, as opposed to reading through the entire back-catalogue on-demand. This could have been the most exciting period in SCQ history (certainly some of its events, like the wedding, are some of the Quest's highlights), and it still would have seemed slower just because of that.

Definitely have loved reading it all, and am seriously looking forward to the future of the story.
>>
>>5219268
>But despite that, did you enjoy the longest arc in SCQ history?
It's been a wild ride start to finish, and I am so glad its still going strong.
>Do you prefer the two-week threads over weekly new episodes?
Two week threads are better imo. Better to have long threads archived than a bunch of short ones, saves time when browsing the archives imo.
>Which moments were your favorite, and what are you most looking forward to within the next few arcs?
Damn you for making me choose, QM! For this arc I'd say the insane murderslaughter of a fight between The Main Man and Beserker Saiyan 3 Karn was my favorite, with Chilli's fucked up wedding inches behind it. Seeing Karn finally break not just his limits, but THE LIMITS made that fight feel so raw. As for my favorite of all time, between spanking Cooler, shanking The Supreme Cunt of Time, going SSJ2 for the first time for Ubo, BASED GULDO giving the potato wizard the worst weight loss program of his life, the Covenant War in general, and Caulifla melting the universe's coldest heart in existence, I'd have to say the time when little Chaya critfailed a stealth roll against Karn. That was absolutely precious.
I'm looking forward to getting Beserker 3 under control. Its a powerful asset, but polishing our wide berth of skills isn't a bad idea either. Maybe go for some attacks we can use in friendly sparring that won't horrible maim or murder our opponent.
>Which of the many quests that you’ve picked up are you most looking forward to resolving before the Battle of Gods arc begins?
I want to make peace with the crustaceans and seal up that abyssal trench, fuggin hate those psychic fish. Oh yeah and make Shin not a useless piece of shit, on the fence with Kars. I feel like Shin could be made just good enough at his job but also juuuust stupid enough to be helpful and stay in his lane when needed. Something about gods with brains makes em more arrogant and dangerous.
>>
>>5219383
Perhaps later. For now, she’s focusing more on technique over unlocking another form she’d have to spend years mastering. Don’t forget, she’s still dealing with what happened earlier on with Super Saiyan 3, and isn’t sure if she wants more kids or not yet. And, despite the power gap between herself and Karn, she’s managed to almost kill you on several occasions now.
>>5219390
>certainly some of its events, like the wedding, are some of the Quest's highlights
I can agree with this. Battles against the Time Patrol always seem to be excellent. But the pace for this arc was just off, the scale kept getting further and further away from me.
>Definitely have loved reading it all, and am seriously looking forward to the future of the story.

>>5219805
It’s not about having or lacking sense with her. But the perception she, and almost everyone else has of her husband. He IS their personification of victory itself, even, no especially against overwhelming odds. Karn DOESN’T lose. Thankfully though that’s been mostly quelled with Meloka

An important part of the Bladestorm sparring match that hasn’t really been touched on. Yes, she’s very cognizant of the fact he’s not ever fighting her at 100%. She knows how he treats enemies
>>
>>5220414
You know, now that I think about it, it's relatively easier to kill Karn in a friendly spar than an actual fight. Just imagine if that bastard Mouse was our #1 sparring partner back then.
>>
>>5220434
Almost like he's developed a whole Feat around this particular trait...
Ha, but no. The only reason his "plan" worked as well as it did was the element of surprise.
>>
>>5220414
Ya know, it's getting harder for Karn to find people he can really go all out against now.
Off the top of my head it's really just Frieza, Vegeta, and Ubo.
And even then Ubo is the only one we could spar regularly.
Pretty soon we're gonna run out of good opponents and our gains are gonna slow down as a result.
I'm now starting to panic.

Oh yeah, something neat I noticed while rewatching JLU the other day.
During the whole "World of Cardboard" monologue, Supes catches Darkseid with a left forearm block into a right straight, very similar to combination I see you write for a lot of Djem-So counters.
Almost makes me wonder if that incarnation of Superman could actually tangle with Karn in a fistfight, amateurish as he may be.
>>
>>5220562
>Pretty soon we're gonna run out of good opponents
He says as if Beerus and Whis aren’t only seven years away. You don’t have to worry about running out of stronger beings to train against.
>>5220581
Yes, if he realized that Karn’s far more durable than most beings he’s encountered could be an excellent fight. But at this point in his career, Supes isn’t strong enough to take Karn. Although he would certainly take pointers from Karn’s style.
>>
>>5220592
>Yes, if he realized that Karn’s far more durable than most beings he’s encountered could be an excellent fight.
I figure if Supes would get the message as soon as he heard the dull THUD of a love tap against Karn's Energy Body.
>But at this point in his career, Supes isn’t strong enough to take Karn
If he's not willing to do what it takes to win a fight with Karn, no.
>Although he would certainly take pointers from Karn’s style
Makes more sense than just about anything the comics have had to say about Superman learning martial arts.
A traditional standing style suits his innate abilities the best, and also fits in with his background a lot better than some bullshit like muh super secret Kryptonian style.
>>
>>5220625
Not from throwing a punch, but that version gauges his opponents by their attacks they hit him with. Getting bloodied by the first strike would make him realize this fight would be different.
Exactly. Clark holds back far too much, too worried about collateral damage on Earth.
That always bothered me. Hell, having old man Kent being a former amateur boxer in his youth would have been better
>>
>>5221041
Not a bad idea, that way you could naturally segue into Pa Kent discovering Clark's strength while teaching him how to fight and subsequently advising him to reign in it in.
For somebody like Supes who mainly deals with threats by fighting them with his bare hands, it's always a good idea to tie that into the character organically.
Meanwhile you have a league of comic writers who basically want to give him Kryptonian Hokuto Shinken combined with every asspull power in the book.
Really, there's a lot of stuff like that I would explicitly avoid, but everybody says that. Especially with hindsight being 20/20.
>>
>>5221245
>while teaching him how to fight
No, while teaching him to defend himself and stand up to bullies. Not to go out and fight.
>For somebody like Supes who mainly deals with threats by fighting them with bare hands...
Just like the best iteration of a hero out of all Japan, All Might. (Go ahead and flame me for watching it now, but hear me out) He’s the only reason I went through the slog of MHA, and once he beat AfO and was relegated to barely more than a cameo I basically dropped it. Man was born with nothing, and actually worked his ass off to be the absolute best he could be BEFORE getting chosen and blessed with godlike strength. Unlike other “heroes” across media who’re all sorts of ridiculously blessed at birth like being born ninja jesus, or beinf 1/4 every fucking race of powerful creature simultaneously, a powerful alien species but not evil, or secretly an unbelievably powerful being himself, he’s just a guy. A guy with such strong beliefs that someone with unbelievable power believed in him to the point they gifted it to him.
>Really, there's a lot of stuff like that I would explicitly avoid, but everybody says that. Especially with hindsight being 20/20.
Exactly. And the biggest problem with characters like Superman, Batman, etc is they’ve been rewritten and butchered and rewritten again to undeath, as death would be a mercy to them. Death of Superman should have been his canonical end, moving the timeframe up and allowing new heroes to take center stage
>>
>>5221413

>>
>>5221593
I can't understand why people got pissed the Quirk that passes host to host would have other quirks in it. They're mostly utility anyways. And obviously that's how it would function. The limit of only the Quirkless can inherit it makes sense seeing as it contains the souls and personalities of previous users not mixing with other quirks is brutal. One of the users just fucked off to Goku in the mountains.

Karn has a spectre of Bane in his head.

Its literally in the name, Stockpile, and whatever the Quirk Transfer was named. All Might is a muscle head that punches tornados, so obviously it wouldn't occurred to him, but it was hinted since the tournament with the Brainwash battle.
>Belt laser guy, 80 percent. Invisible girl 20 percent. Wait, the author actually remembered that? It actually got revealed?
Fuck, your smarter than I am, you got it right, it was the laser belt kid, he got caught by Invisible Girl talking to his parents about being blackmailed into him doing dirty jobs since his parents got AFO to give him the quirk when he was a kid. I had the bet it was Invisible the whole time with a potential second being Pikachu. But nope. The French Beam.

Yeah but he had the Quirk for literal decades, you’d think he would have unlocked any sort of hidden power long before Deku did, in under a YEAR.
>it was the laser belt kid, he got caught by Invisible Girl talking to his parents about being blackmailed into him doing dirty jobs since his parents got AFO to give him the quirk when he was a kid
Figured if he wasn’t actually evil, since his quirk seemed new like Deku’s since he had painful feedback and learned the Nomu had multiple quirks(later about AfO and all the dealings with him), that he would be blackmailed. Especially when he had that mini-arc sympathizing with Deku and “disarming” his creepiness.

Also on post 5 of the epilogue, there’s a reason Chaya was in the shape she was after her fight.
>>
>>5221645
The Quirk was sentient and AFO went into hiding, All Might apparently had anger problems and probably iced some fuckers. Hence why OFA didn't give him the final boosts.
>>
>>5221667
How does Fairy Tail look without her?
>>
>>5221668
How about when All Might literally fought AfO and his insides became his outsides? And was, you know, dying? That would’ve been a pretty good time to activate some bullshit, and preserve it’s own “life”.
All Might certainly erased people like that slime guy, except they were made of people and not goo. At least not before.
>>5221685
That whole planet got subjugated. First two waves of invaders each eventually got demolished before they sent in teams of Saiyans. Karn wasn’t apart of that battle.
>>
>>5222083
AfO wasn't gonna trigger with him one foot in the grave when he already passed it.
>>
>>5222152
>when he already passed it.
No, the big climactic fight we never got to see. The one five years ago when AfO gave All Might this before he got his skull smashed into paste.
>>
>>5222171
Ah, that one, apparently the Quirk didn't want to risk AfO finding out they were sapient, and had the other Quirks on top of the power boost. All Might was just the final charge for the Physical boost with his years of pumping iron and fighting. Some other parts of the Quirk weilders also killed like All Might did, and they didn't want a wielder getting everything willing to do that. Because, you know, they'd be one man natural disasters. Deku was accidentally perfect because he's batshit crazy with a hero complex, and they wouldn't get another chance with the hosts needing to be Quirkless to even hold it without popping like grapes.
>>
>>5222200
The Digits, what does it mean!
>>
>>5222171
>>5222200
Oh yeah, and apparently when fully activated OfA becomes somewhat parasitic, and all the power burns through life like burning the candle on both ends, Deku won't see his 50s.
>>
>>5222200
Nice numerals, but it’s still jumping the shark. Hell, even on episode one such a thing coulda been foreshadowed when he was talking about being injured, like “Now my Quirk’s acting up too” and supernerd Deku having seen Blackwhip before, or been a seemingly innocuous passing line in a more pertinent conversation like the first All For One talk.

Just bad writing in my opinion, like Goku/Vegeta going back to the past a SECOND time against Black/Zamasu. Or Goten/Trunks being Super Saiyans. I get that absurd super strength is difficult to write, but still. MORE Quirks was a bad narrative choice, now that someone who’s not AfO has to somehow be even stronger after AfO is beaten. Because Shonen power creep.
>>5222205
Until it’s somehow magic’d away, like all consequences inevitably are. Looking at you Gon, Ichigo, Asta, and the list goes on. Hell even Kaio-Ken kept SOME consequences in DBS, rendering Goku near-powerless for a day or two in an episode afterwards
>inb4 dragonball has no consequences
>>
>>5222285
DRAGONBALL HAS N- fuck
>>
>>5222285
Gon was a cripple till a literal outer spirit intervened. Ichigo is just bad writing. Asta is basically Fairy Tail. Doesn't look like he can magic it away though, at most he can use Black Whip his limbs into place to hold together.
>but it’s still jumping the shark.
Pretty sure that's just salt for a Quirk who's entire purpose is to stockpile and pass itself on being so simple. Quirk's are basically confirmed to being people's souls and lowkey cause identity death in anybody not using the Pass on part of OfA or has a strong enough will or a freak of nature body like Gigatomachena.
>like “Now my Quirk’s acting up too” and supernerd Deku having seen Blackwhip before, or been a seemingly innocuous passing line in a more pertinent conversation like the first All For One talk.
All Might did his part and the Quirk decided to wait, its basically that Flame Hitman show's power with a literal chamber of Successors deciding what to do in a waiting room. All Might wasn't worthy but the tourney did set it up with him saying his master did say she had glimpses of previous users.
>Just bad writing in my opinion
Execution does leave something to be desired, but it was there as a possibility.
>MORE Quirks was a bad narrative choice, now that someone who’s not AfO has to somehow be even stronger after AfO is beaten.
In what way? Besides it looks like its turning more psychological in getting victories now since Japan turned into Mad Max.
>Because Shonen power creep.
You should see the American woman All Might lookalike and her bullshit power. Its been talked about with Doctor War Crimes about Quirks just becoming more insane with generation. OfA and AfO just skipped to the front of the line with how each of them function.

That’s my point. Shonen don’t have lasting consequences to a MC. Some handwavium will just vanish any consequences.
>Besides it looks like its turning more psychological in getting victories now since Japan turned into Mad Max.

But it removes any tension. At least on Greed Island it made sense for dramatic injuries to be healed, being in a "game" and all. Not spoilering the arc just in case.
>>5222357
It was a great scene but undoing it without any sort of consequences to him whatsoever undid that. Much like Super Saiyan 3 undid the tension of the Majin Vegeta fight. At least Vegeta got to actually address that before Vegito happened.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest Dynasty Arc Epilogue-

AGE 750, DREADZONE ARENA

“REQUIP!” Erza shouts, her armor changing into the silver-winged armor, a pair of identical swords in her hands. Several dozen also-identical swords suddenly appear around her, pointing out away from her and forming a circle around the mage. “Dance, my blades!”
“This old trick again?” Chaya asks, the teen Saiyan sounding mildly disappointed as she uses her giant sword like a broad fan, blocking and swatting away the much-smaller swords as they fly at her. Even those she doesn't directly hit are swatted away by the sheer wind force coming off her wide blade. She hasn't even transformed into her golden Super Saiyan form yet, still standing where she'd landed from above for her “dramatic” entrance. “C'mon, I've already seen this before.”

“Is Erza actually underestimating Chaya?” your subordinate Viktoria Serebryakov asks, clearly confused by what she's seeing. “Why isn't she using those new armors and weapons the tech guys made?”
“She's scouting Chaya's strength.” you reply, resting casually in your chair as the Saiyan child prodigy and magic swordswoman continue battling below. You are General Tanya Degurechaff, commander of Dreadzone's armies and the number two Exterminator. But you aren't satisfied yet, not with second best. You've been slowly putting the pieces together, building up an unstoppable arsenal to take that brat out and usurp the throne of Champion once and for all. She's nothing more than a thug, high on her own power and clearly is only here to fight and drown in the crowd's adulation. You could do so much more with that position, right now she's just wasting it. “Chaya won't end a fight quickly, not while the crowd is cheering, so she can afford to gauge the Saiyan's strength and see if she's noticeably increased her abilities.”

“But Chaya's not even a Super Saiyan.” 'Visha' says, the woman looking back to Chaya casually swatting the flying swords away with her massive weapon. “How can she tell?”
“Not power. Technique.” you reply, the swords attacking the young Saiyan from all sides. Chaya throws her blade spinning up in the air, crosses her arms, then by throwing them wide somehow fires off an invisible shock wave. All the swords are knocked aside, then without breaking eye contact with the redhead reaches up and catches the weapon.
“Don't you have anything new?” Chaya asks her, and from the girl's body language see that Chaya's getting bored. “This is boring.”

“Let's see how you handle THIS! REQUIP!” Erza shouts, and her body is consumed by magical light. The swarm of swords all begin glowing as well, vanishing as her armor begins appearing around her glowing figure. What was a suit of revealing silver armor is now a revealing white gown with a red collar, tied around her middle with a red and gold belt. And behind her shoulders appear eight glowing forms, which reveal themselves to be swords. They array themselves behind her like a pair of razor-sharp wings. “Ataraxia Armor!”

“Now THAT'S something new.” Chaya replies, flipping her sword around into a reverse grip as she crouches. “Let's test it! HAAAAA!”
“Soaring Blades!” Erza calls as Chaya throws her sword, the blade rapidly spinning as Erza brings all four of her left swords up between it and her. However, the moment the swords obstruct her view, Chaya moves. She dashes around her blind side, moving so quickly that an image of her seems to be left behind for a moment where she'd been standing. She moves so fast directly behind Erza that she has to slap her left hand on the arena floor, sliding to a stop right behind the redhead. She hears this, turning towards the sound. “Wha-?”

“Too slow!” Chaya taunts, kicking her square in the back with her right leg. “Haaaaa!”
“Guaah!” Erza cries out as Chaya's strike sends her flying straight up into the air, then with a flip using that momentum lands on her feet, right arm outstretched. Then with seemingly-practiced efficiency catches her sword by the grip and leaps up into the air after the swordswoman.
“HAAAA!” Chaya roars, swinging her massive blade down with one hand. Erza moves four of her blades in the way of Chaya's strike, trying to stop the blow, yet these new swords aren't strong enough to stop Chaya's swing. All four of them shatter simultaneously, the heavy greatsword smashing into the physically weaker woman's guts and launching her straight back down to the ground. Erza crashes to the ground with meteoric force, the arena floor cracking and cratering where she lands.

“What a tremendous impact!” Dallas shouts, the green-skinned alien announcer shouting into his microphone over the roaring crowd's cheers. “That one had to hurt!”
“Indeed. And that new suit of Erza's doesn't seem to be as heavily armored as some of her other suits. That attack could have potentially knocked her right out of this contest.”
“Not likely.” you say to Visha, who glances aside at you curiously. “She's not done, not by a long shot.”
>>
>>5222444
“D-Dammit!” you hear the redhead shout, and as the dust clears see her standing tall once more with only some scratches and scuffs. Her four remaining swords are all on her left side, Chaya landing in front of her and swinging her blade. Erza grabs one sword, using the other three to block Chaya's strike while back flipping away. Chaya shatters the three with ease, the magic swordswoman landing back on her feet while taking an unorthodox defensive stance, blade's point aimed directly at Chaya.
“Really? These were your secret weapon?” Chaya asks, her massive blade resting on her right shoulder in a seemingly casual stance. “I really hope that wasn't your best.”

“Your sword is powerful, but these blades have something yours don't.” Erza says, and suddenly Chaya explodes in blood! Somehow dozens upon dozens of slashes appear on her body, the woman's blood spraying everywhere! “My swords can cut without striking!”
“What the hell?!” you shout, jaw dropping in shock. You never saw anything, nor were you able to detect anything happening. When the hell did she have time to do such a thing? Chaya staggers back in clear shock, leaning back and looking straight up at the ceiling. Her blood pours from the injuries as she drops her weapon, stunned. The entire audience goes deathly silent, everyone wondering what happens next. Even the always-talkative Dallas is completely silent, which makes what happens next even more disturbing.

“Heh. Heheh. Hehehehe. Aaaaahahahahahahaa!” Chaya starts laughing, body trembling as she laughs creepily. She leans forward, grinning maliciously at Erza and you can almost taste the malice radiating off the Saiyan teen. “Now THAT'S more like it! Hit me like you mean it!”
“Wait what?!” Erza says, taking an uncertain step backwards from the wild monkey girl.
“Time to stop playing around, and get a bit more serious!” Chaya shouts, clenching her fist before her and blazing up into her Super Saiyan form. Then without grabbing her weapon, Chaya surges forward almost faster than you can perceive having been so used to her speed so far. She swings her left hand, reaching out and grasping the sword. Then, before Erza can pull away, Chaya shatters the weapon in her grip! “Show me what you can REALLY do!”
“REQUIP!” Erza calls, leaping back and changing her equipment once more. As she flips backwards, landing on the ground, you see yet another unfamiliar suit of armor. This one is a white leotard with orange wing-like pauldrons, and another set on her hips pointed downwards. In her hands are a pair of short, double-edged swords with weighted tips. “Morning Star Armor!”

“HAAA!!” Chaya shouts, throwing her right hand forward and unleashing a powerful orb of energy. Erza thrusts both blades towards Chaya, unleashing her own magical energy.
“Photon Slicer!” she shouts, firing a powerful burst of light at the Saiyan's attack. The two opposing forces slam into each other, both detonating in a powerful explosion. But Chaya charges THROUGH the explosion, swinging a fist for her opponent's chest. Erza tries blocking the attack with her crossed blades, but the Saiyan's fist shatters both of them before slamming into her armored chest. Erza is sent flying, flipping back several times before crashing to the arena, rolling over several times before sliding to a stop by the arena's edge.

“Get up, we're not done yet!” Chaya taunts, walking confidently forward towards her downed foe while cracking her knuckles. “Show me you've got something worth my time.”
“Tch! Damn, I won't give up!” Erza says defiantly, struggling to push herself upright. “Let's see you overpower THIS! REQUIP!”

Again Erza's body is enveloped in light, then when it fades you feel your eyes widen. Suddenly Erza's standing before Chaya with six sword-wielding arms instead of the normal human amount of two. The crowd seem shocked by this, as well as the announcer Dallas as he shouts his surprise.

“Interesting armor.” Visha says, turning curiously to you. “Do you think that those arms will have the power to match Chaya's strength?”
“We'll see.” you say, watching closely. You'd considered getting this type of magi-tech surgically added into your own arms, to greatly increase your physical power by channeling magic into the equipment, but without clinical tests against Chaya's power you were not convinced. Sure the mad scientists here are actual professionals, except for the “good” doctor they brought up from your home world, but without a verified test run against her you weren't ready to take that wild step yet. Which is why you'd had Vox's people help her develop this armor, to test run the physical limits of this tech against her. Time to see what they're capable of.

“Thousand Arms Armor!” Erza shouts, each of her six blades held menacingly. “Let's see you try THIS one out!”
“Two aren't enough, so you needed six arms to keep up?” Chaya asks, wiping the blood out of her eyes with the back of her hand. “Heh. Alright, let's put them to the test! HAAAAAA!!”

Chaya throws her right fist forward then her left, firing a piercing energy fist forward towards the six-armed swordswoman with each punch. Erza brings all six blades forward, surprisingly cutting the attacks to shreds. Chaya dashes back after the second, rushing over to her massive sword and with a stomp to the tip flips the blade up, spinning once before catching it in her hand.

“Hrrraaaaaaa!!” Chaya roars, charging forward and grabbing the giant sword with both hands overhead. Then she swings, her heavy, massive sword dropping down directly at Erza's head. The swordswoman plants her feet, braces herself, and swings. All six of her swords are swung up simultaneously at Chaya's blade, forming three 'X's as the metal clashes. All the blades clang together with tremendous force, creating shock waves with such power they blast the chunks of shattered arena floor into the energy shield protecting the audience around the ring. The crowd shouts in surprise, and as the debris settles, you see that the six arms actually did it: Erza is still standing!

“Well well, looks like this armor CAN match your power!” Erza says with a grunt, as the audience absolutely explodes into cheers. Chaya, who's actually been blasted clean by the shock wave leaps back, all her cuts still pouring blood all over her. You can see her skin tone whitening a bit, no doubt due to the tremendous blood loss she's sustaining. You see her taking deep breaths, no doubt feeling it. She's on a timer for this fight, whether or not she knows it yet. “Now let's see if you can match my speed!”

She leaps forward, all six arms swinging her identical blades wildly around herself as she closes in on the younger Saiyan woman. Chaya's eyes narrow, then leaps forward with a shout.
“HAAAA!!” Chaya shouts, swinging her giant sword in a horizontal slash at the six-armed Erza's waist. The redheaded woman uses her left three arms' blades to catch Chaya's strike while thrusting towards the Saiyan with her right three swords. The golden-haired warrior uses that highly-mobile fighting style of hers to spin, using her strike's momentum to twist around to Erza's back and fire off a powerful left kick directly into her back. But Chaya's strike never reaches it's target, as the redheaded woman blocks the kick with the combined flats of all three right-handed swords. Still, the blow is enough to knock Erza off her feet, and send her tumbling across the ground. Chaya drops her blade point-first behind her, the heavy weapon sinking a solid foot into the arena floor as she throws her arms wide. “I'm ending this, right now!”

“She must really be feeling that blood loss.” you murmur, surprised that Chaya's trying to end the fight now. You'd expected that her fight would have gone on for much longer, as Chaya prefers to rely on her power and durability to exhaust her enemies long before she tires. With her STILL bleeding profusely, she no doubt feels like she's running on borrowed time. But there's no way Erza can withstand her Final Flash attack, not even with her Adamantine Armor. She might actually kill her this time.

“SECOND ORIGIN, RELEASE!!” Erza suddenly shouts, and blindingly bright light begins emanating from her. The redhead's magical power suddenly skyrockets, startling both you and Visha, who can clearly feel it as well. The light quickly consumes her frame and as it does, you suddenly feel something disturbing. That flow of overwhelming magic power suddenly stops, you feeling it being absorbed by something.
“Wh-What?! No way!!” you shout, rising up out of your seat in surprise. Immediately you realize that this could be a problem. If she has access to such power, and the two of you were to fight again, you'd be in EXTREME danger. With this much power radiating out from her, there's little you could actually do to stop her. Since most of your weapons are fueled by magitech, only the physical weapons would be able to even touch her through mana that dense. As the light fades, you find that she's now wearing a very revealing blue and white robe with golden accents, pauldrons, and boots, and holding a halberd that's absolutely radiating with power. Where in the hell did she get equipment like THIS?!

“Nakagami Armor!” Erza calls, Chaya throwing her hands together and merging her gathered golden energies together. Lightning bursts out from the mixing energy, carving trenches across the arena ground as they spread out from her. “I will NOT fall! Not until you perish by my hand!”
“FINAL FLASH!!” Chaya roars, unleashing her power as an unstoppable golden beam. Erza draws back her halberd, and swings it with a shout.
“Nakagami Starlight!” she calls, unleashing every bit of magic and firing forth an impossibly powerful slash. All that magic power surges forward like a wedge, the slash of her blade forming the edge, and it immediately surges straight through Chaya's attack. Before the younger Saiyan can react, Erza's obscenely-powerful slash has gone all the way through her Final Flash, and slams into her from right shoulder, across her chest and down to her left hip with unstoppable power.

“KYAAAAAAA!!” Chaya cries out in pain as the attack explodes against her, sending the Saiyan rag dolling through the air before crashing down to the arena. She lands in a roll, ending right on the edge of the ring. Her right arm is hanging off, blood dripping from her fingertips down into the lava. Did...Did Chaya actually lose? The entire arena falls completely silent, no one saying a word. Until Dallas shouts out, as enthusiastically as ever.
“Erza has downed Chaya!” he calls, and the audience bursts into surprised cheers at seeing the unstoppable Saiyan warrioress fall. “One! Two! Three!”

“FOUR!” the audience chants in unison as you slump back into your seat, shocked. There's no way, Chaya wasn't supposed to fall here. YOU were supposed to be the next Champion, not this u-
“ARE YOU GIVING UP?!” a deep voice calls out above the cheers of the crowd. As one you and everyone watching the fight turns, only to see the giant frame of Karn of all people here! What is he-wait. That's not Karn, that's his son Broly, standing in the Champion's booth in his massive, green-haired transformed state. “CHAYA?!”

Nobody reacts, then a single voice breaks that sudden silence.

“N-No way. I'll never give up.” she replies, getting her hands underneath her and pushing herself upright. The crowd explodes with roaring cheers as Chaya rises unsteadily upright, back towards her opponent. The young woman then takes a deep breath, slowly exhaling, and her golden aura starts changing. No longer is it blazing up wildly around her like a fire as it was before, but instead appears as golden sparks all along her body, with a gentle glow radiating off of her. Then, to your surprise, her bleeding suddenly seems to stop. The young woman's entire demeanor changes, her expression turning serious as she turns around to face the crimson-haired woman. “I underestimated you. But now you're done. I'm ending this right now.”

“I-Impossible.” Erza says, taking an uncertain step backwards. “That's impossible, you shouldn't have been able to get up from that. Not after losing so much blood. How are you still moving?”
“I had a good teacher.” she replies, then takes another deep breath in while drawing her right fist back. Then suddenly she's closed the distance, the version of her standing on the edge of the arena vanishing.

“HAAAAAA!!” Chaya roars, slamming her energy-clad right fist into the side of Erza's head. The golden sparks envelop the redheaded woman for a second before she's sent flying, tumbling uncontrollably through the air until she crashes down to the ground. Chaya stands over her downed foe, then with a flash of light that new armor vanishes in a flash of light, revealing the armor Erza walked in with.
“Erza is down!” Dallas shouts as the crowd cheers, then begins the countdown. But you can tell that this fight is already over, she's not getting back up. You turn to leave, but feel a cruel smile coming to your face. If someone like her can push Chaya this far, then your victory is all but guaranteed. Time to start putting your plan into action, and take over Dreadzone.

And that's it: with this epilogue, the Dynasty arc is now finished. This coming weekend we'll be moving onto the next arc, REMNANTS. Who's ready?

I am more than ready to start cleaning up the trash from the great war.
>>
>>5222460
I hope Tanya knows enough to not kill Chaya in her attempt to take over the dreadzone.
>>
>>5222504
That is one sort, yes. But there are many things that only exist as remnants now.
>>5222508
Yes. She's not waging war on your family after all, just usurping your daughter's throne.
>>
>>5222509
>Yes. She's not waging war on your family after all, just usurping your daughter's throne.
I hope she realizes what might just happen as a result of Chaya getting a reality check.
>>
>>5222518
Tanya saw many, many self-important divas crumble when hit by the harshness of failure and rejection over the years. And crushed many himself, back in the middle management days in his male life. Tanya believes that absolutely crushing Chaya and dominating her in a battle will break her, and the Saiyan will never recover and challenge her again. Then she’ll have Dreadzone all to herself

Greatly overestimating her. Chaya believes that she’s the strongest being there. No non-Saiyan could POSSIBLY be stronger than her, and defeat her in a battle when she’s seriously trying. After all, she’s turning 16 this year, and has been Dreadzone’s unbeaten Champion since she was 11. Five years is a long time, when it’s 1/3 of your life
>>
>>5222532
Hey, if it hits her hard, that's just gonna end up working in her favor.
For all her flaws, she's not a quitter. She wouldn't give up just because she's hit rock bottom.

It’s almost here, the next chapter of SCQ. Just 24 hours away.

>>5222535
Would it though? She’s built up her life AROUND being the champion. A wholr third of her lived life has been as Dreadzone’s number one. And without that, well.... What IS she?
>>5222538
Ha, but no. You’ll have to wait and see

soon...
>>
>>5222959
>And without that, well.... What IS she?
It's something she was gonna have to figure out sooner or later.
Besides, it's not like she has to take that journey by herself.
She's got her friends and family to help her along the way, not to mention the strongest father in the universe.
It'll suck when it happens, I believe it'll lead to even better things for her.
>>
>>5222961
Indeed.
>>5223158
It could. And if you’ve lived long enough we’ve all been there. You build your life up around something, a core part of your identity that eventually either doesn’t matter to anyone else or a position you no longer hold, then what’s left of you? Who are you without that piece? It’s a painful self-realization that will absolutely break someone.

Oof.

Ha. Vox would definitely broadcast that, if Chaya cooperated. But after a potential loss, WOULD she? Would she still try facing the cameras and forcing a smile, or would she hide her face and flee from the spotlight, unable to face the fans who cheered the one who beat her?

Yes, very much so. Especially from the planet of “Powerlevels are bullshit”
