You are Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahtiri RuaRaa - Commandant of the De'lormosan fleet, Brother of Angron, Roboute, Perturabo, Magnus and at least a dozen more you don't know the names of yet, Primarch of the Eleventh Legion Space Marines (Whom would be nice to have at your side right about now) son of a proud father and mother, Big Man of De'lormosa.

You are many things, though lazy is not one of them.

Among your adventures you have done quite a lot. Commandeered the very ship you stride upon. Fought many a foe. Walked different worlds where you have met your brothers, who are currently at the forefront of your thoughts.

Currently you are helping your brothers.

Perturabo you are helping by assisting him liberating his planet from the grip of the black judges.

Roboute you are helping by giving him unique military experience and being a good friend.

Angron, you sent reinforcements, and will soon arrive to help once you are done liberating Olypmia.

Currently, you are asking Perturabo to be creative, and put his mind to the test- seeing what he would build for an offensive against the black judges on Olympia. You are also having Nasi shadow him. Nasi, your young friend and probably the most precious cargo on your ship.

Roboute is doing last minute drills, with his men.

You do a few minute last walks. You see the warp anomaly, and you take a note of it. It looks closer to Olympia at least if star charts are right. Which means the thing is massive.

The walk about on board has lead you to some conclusions.

1. Telling Perturabo to be creative can lead to some very interesting looking things as you are not quite sure what he is building, but he and Nasi seem to be really enjoying it.

2. Your crew, seems to be in exceptionally high spirits and during these times for the first time in over a week your honor guard is doing the walk through with you as one, though they still do morning meetings together.

3. Erihapti is growing like a weed, as she is now struggling to stay to the side of you in some of the cooridors because she is so big and needs to go ahead.

4. The Chain Breakers are taking on some of the refugees as trainees, per the fact their chains were broken.

5. Nobody has talked to your nightmare prisoner, which is good considering that is following the rules, though the fact that she may have missed a few meals is concerning. Then again someone as wicked as her could miss more than a few.

After your walk through you prepare and then you hear it over the comms.

"Captain, we are ready to de-warp transit. We have made a full scan of Olympia." Jerah calls out.

As you walk up to the main captains area you see Roboute and Perturabo have both made it, along with Lancer, your cousin and even Nasi.

"Ya need to look." Jerah says showing the scans.
>>
>>5249560

And this looks rough.

Apparently the black judges are smarter than the Ganth after, all.

There is a small fleet in a satellite orbit around Olympia, and there are small posts on the fringe of their system. It's a full force. The planet scans of Olympia, are a bit more worrisome.

Around what Perturabo identifies quickly as his 'home' there is a large force and a growing presence on the planet. However, there is something that is noteworthy. The main Command and Control Element has taken up residence there, which would normally be a tactical error, had it not been the most fortified portion of the planet.

You look to your brothers, and to your crew.

It's time for a plan.

__
For The initial space battle

>> Utilize Automation of the other ships to act in concert with the Something Fierce acting like a school of sword sharks only utilizing the Something Fierce's tactical advantages when necessary taking out the strongest ships first, then going after the now defenseless weaker ships.

>> Scatter! Through the same automation act as the pod of shoal stoats, confound the larger ships and take out the weaker ones, before slowly acting as a team against the larger ones.

>> Take a page from Roboute. Break the ships into groups, have each brother control one group and leave the enemy weakened having to fight three different fronts.

>> WILD CARD: WRITE IN

But before you go into space combat, what is the ground combat plan?

>> As it was originally intended, despite the build up. An air assault with constant air support, followed by a combined ground attack of your Knights and your men acting against the black judges.

>> Shock. Deep strike into the actual fortified position itself with Perturabo and your honor guard. Have your main unit outside and tie up the troops in a shock assault at the worst possible moment for them. Air support and space support to prevent their retreat.

>> An actual Siege. Destroy the ground troops from space and only once landing is cleared land and press the attack on the fortress.

>> WILD CARD: Write in.

"So you have been working on this- and it works?" The Emperor of Mankind, your old collegue asks you.

"Yep. It works. It can keep and transfer a soul from one body to another. Granted the body has to be made of the same, or compatible genetic material. It requires other elements to truly function but it isn't that difficult to use and the good part is it could theoretically last 30,000 years so long as the radioactive battery keeps up." You say and he nods

"And it can carry any soul?" He asks

"Theoretically the more powerful the stronger the connection." You say and he seems a bit awed by that statement.

"But truly there must be some kind of drawback?"

"Yeah. Ya need a strong soul. Otherwise it aint gonna be pretty." You say and he nods.

"So the drawback is that it can only be used by exceptional individuals. Well, humanity is capable of producing those. What about a Perpetual?"

"I reckon it would work- but I don't just go about testing stuff on people willy-nilly. Though I am going to be testing it on myself first, so that probably says a lot don't it?"

"It says you're a brave man." He responds

"I'll let you know how it goes, I imagine we will be seeing each other soon more officially?" You ask.

"Probably sooner than you expect." He confirms.

You begin your run up on a good shooting spot.

"Target their anti aircraft guns! Give Frank Something to work with!" You shout as you begin targeting the Rangdan Alpha at a distance that you can already tell it finds annoying.

Worse.

It has a void shield, as the Adriathics aren't quite breaking through.

At least it's annoying it.

You hear more chatter over the long band.

"Invictus! We have reinforcements!"

"Outstanding!" You shout as you fire off another shot, eventually the void shield will break, if only the annoying hum would stop that the thing is making.

Suddenly you feel a tapping on your shoulder and you turn: and you are surprised. It is Tybro. He must have had hijacked a vehicle to get here so quickly. Still he snuck up on you- you definitely need to work harder on that, and he hands you a jar and makes a motion with his hands. It looks like he put it on his face, so you mimic it.

The humming stops after the mud is wore in.

Wait-
>>
>>5251549

"The thing is a psyker!" You shout the obvious as one of your elites suddenly explodes nearby in a shower of gore.

The humming.

You toss the jar back

"Cover as many men as you can! I am not having men who just fought all their lives for freedom to just die one day to some psyker monstrosity!" You shout as you hop out and make a few pot shots on the structure where the void shields are not.

And you cause the beast to notice you, and it steps down off what can only be a litter.

>> Continue to fire at it. Wear down that void shield, or whatever kind of shield it is.

>> Engage it in Melee. Sure it's a the size of a small knight and looks like it can vivisect you, but you haven't been in a litter all day.

>> Hit and run. Fire a few shots, have it chase after you, engage in melee, then repeat. This will prevent it from using psyker powers.

>> Take some of Tybros mud and coat your axes blade with it- and apply it directly to the Rangdan's skull.

I am going to try something different, let's see if this works.

-
You begin to harass the being. You start out with a few pot shots, and draw it's attention, then realize that it is the primary threat, and it needs to be dealt with now.

You take the mud and put it on the axe and you begin your run in.

The Rangda are deadly foes. You see men fall, and it angers you. Your axe is able to find it's mark every time.

Then the Alpha decides that it will engage.

It doesn't even seem to notice it's own servants, which makes it that much more despicable. It moves, in a way that could be considered similar to an insect or snake. It doesn't move like most creatures. It comes at you the way a creature that knows it's whole body and existence is a weapon.

You dodge it's first attacks and parry the next few.

Things around you, are starting to react differently.

The other Rangda when you get close to hitting it, dive in front of your blade and die.

Your men around you are starting to scream and yell in fury. You try to calm them.

"HOLD. DO NOT SHOW IT YOUR EMOTIONS" You say not sure what is going on, and you can feel the men calming somewhat.

This thing is effecting their minds and you have to stop it.

Your style has to adapt.

There is no honor here.

When a creature leaps infront you use the adriathic element anhilliating it, then bringing the axe down to hit. First try- miss. It jumps back despite it's huge undulating strange metallic yet organic seeming form. Fighting Kolinaisi would be easier!

You get in closer and do a better feint, and yet another Rangda servitor attempts to block, but you hit it with the adriathic in a much riskier show and you hit the strange armor and the void shield flickers, but you cut deep enough that you get inside the 'flesh' of it.

And it wails.

It howls.

Some of your men fall over from the noise, you are not sure if they are alive or dead so you search for a throat and strike it. The beast backpedals and takes a different stance to fight. It begins moving rapidly, attacking and retreating.

It's almost as if it's getting joy from this, it revels in this.

Then, it's appearance alters.

And you see it for what it actually is. A face.

An actual face and a mockery of human form.

Teeth that curve up and out from the mouth, two sets of fangs from a too large jaw. A strange nose and large bulging eyes upon a red face and long hair. You can swear it is smiling.

Then it steals your face.

It looks just like yours. Clearly a tactic and it knows you know.

It doesn't halt your attack.

You come at it faster. It's face mocking yours, more emotional and twisted, almost as if it's ruled by them.

When it hits- it hits like you were hit by one of the vehicles your men have taken to riding, you are knocked back but you land on your feet and you skid back.

You take a shot with the Adriathic to end this, and is discharged by another energy field. It grins cruel as if it is feeding on the misery of the battlefield.

>> Rise up to attack it again, but this time try to channel some of your emotion to your men.

>> Keep it distracted. The more it is focused on you the less it can see that there are others getting a fix on it.

>> Break it's final shields. The glory of honorable hand to hand combat is reserved for a worthy foe, this thing deserves no better than a quick shot.

You decide to go on the assault.

Break the shields. Then deliver a single shot.

This- thing- doesn't deserve the honor of glorious death in hand to hand combat.

It deserves death of a base disintegration.

It's mocking you with your own face. It's trying to get at you emotionally because it can't get at you psychically.

So you smile and laugh back at it.

"Good job! But let see if you have copied my prowess!" You say and it looks a bit shocked as you sprint so hard you would give your brother pause. It is able to react, but very poorly. Poorly enough that it ignores what your intent is.

It has copied you.

Let's see if it copied your pain receptors.

You do the move that your brother so 'politely' showed you and hit it hard at it's root causing a pained expression that causes a quick change to anger, but that was merely an opening.

It moved how you wanted it to so you could break the other shield you found on it's pauldron. You quickly move to behind it's back and the thing realizing what you have done teleports, literally, 30m away, and in the act crushing one of your and it's men. It looks irked and a weird icon flashes red a few times before turning green and you take note.

There are two more shields, one on the other pauldron and one center mass on the chest.

It runs at you- and you run right back at it.

--

Angron is very spirited. He has taken the thing out of your main combat range, and it may not be honorable to assist.

These things don't have honor though.

The power whirs in the gloves you have on with an electrical humm, the machine spirits sing for you.

It's time to act.

You run up on one of the bigger rangda and using the claws on your mighty gloves you cleave into it unexpectedly, tearing it in half, dousing you in red mist of blood.

They bleed the same color as you.

Strange. Or not. There are only so many colors.

The man next to you is struggling with one and your fist gores it. The Chain Blades on the inner claw going to work making a terrible noise as the being dies in a disgusting red mist alerting the attention of more them in front of you, turned.

In a nice, neat line.

You aint as fast as Kolinaisi. You don't have to be.

You walk forward and show the Rangda in front of you were speed really matters- up close. You cut the head clean off, it's strange appearance confused as part of the body still tries to fight so you gore it and move on to the next. It actually reacts to you, parrying and dodging. Moving quick and unpredictably as the others move closer. So you have to get closer.
>>
>>5255490
You move in slower and the thing moves in close in a mocking strike and you impale it's head on your claws and toss it aside. Again the body still struggles to come at you, only disoriented slightly. Missing you. So once again you hit it in the chest. You discard the head. And walk towards the two in front of you.

They actually decide to fight!

They act in concert striking as one dodges, trying to use openings and their formidable strength. You stay quiet. Parrying their strikes, them hitting your armor frequently, but it holds. This angers them. You can see the frustration on their overly large faces. They start trying to bite! You take the teeth of it. the two large under ones. They will make nice trophy daggers like Kolinaisi's. You then mock it's face by striking it. The other responds by striking yours, and hitting. You can feel the cut. It will make a good tattoo. You strike down through the other as you rip into the chest of the toothless one.

It seems you are gathering more attention on your march towards Angron.

>> Continue slowly and cautiously, there must be a reason they are so dangerous.

>> Move quickly leading them as you want, allowing the other warriors to pick off more important targets.

You climb upon a vehicle after throwing an individual out from it.

"HEAR THIS HAkKA NOW" You clap your hands your voice straining from how loud you get your voice roaring with killing intent. It's sad you don't hear many celebratory Hakka any more.

"SEE THE SHARK HUNTING FOR PREY" you shout out looking at the crowd

"WITNESS THE RED WAKE" You scream aloud.

The Islander screams from atop a vehicle. What in the world is he thinking?

A Hakka is a declaration.

"Good. Let's hope he holds out. I am not sure if they know that they have to do particular things to keep the Rangda dead. After this we will be lucky if we do not have to do a complete planetary purge. Fortunately that city seems to be preventing them from getting inside it somehow."

"Sir, about that, we have confirmation that there may have been Rangdan Infiltration, we know that members of the Leagues of Votaan are handling some of the sewer systems, and are doing a decent job, however we have seen artillery barrels enter the city. If there are Rangdan sleepers it may be -"

He then came upon his room. .

"Are you ready to talk?"

"Yes. I am."

"You say you wish to move around, and act as a member of the crew. If I was able to provide you a method of interacting with reality, without activating you, ya consider that a fair deal?"

"Oh quite."

"Even if though I am not promising to activate you? I am just offering you some mobility and some opportunity to help out around the ship."

" I am fine with this outcome."

"I expect that you will not tempt, ask, trick, cajole, blaba, hoodwin, or any other form of deception causin anyone to activate ya." You say

"The only one whom I will ask is you. That's the way this works."

"Captain, remember that you chose not to fight me. That you chose to talk. So I will speak with you on this. As much as you have helped me and done, this is troublesome. If it was anyone else I would make a carbon based lubricant out of them for testing the limits of my capacity. I am with you, as long as you bare me, even with that item." Ur points to the cube.

"You are a pretty good friend Pyg. Let's get going. Ya wanna come with me on the Strike force?"

"My help will be needed on the main lines. Otherwise I would quite enjoy seeing how your newer brother behaves in combat, he has many machine traits, you and him both do." Pyg says.

"I can do that, but I don't know how easy that's going to be for you. And Kappa would probably keelhaul me if I didn't keep you alive, yeesh if he knew you were here right now Alpha? He'd tell me to stop messin around on a ship, get in a sniper nest and start operatin."

"That doesn't sound like Kappa at all." You comment and one of your legion looks at you and rolls his eyes. When Kappa get's his own legion it's going to probably be both interesting and difficult.

"Well it's an off day for my mimicry skills. But he really cares about you." Fulcrum says and that causes pause. This kind of behavior is reminecent of another.

"Oh?"

"He can name every member of his crew, every chain breaker, and every ally. You and him meet up, he is gonna probably give you a bigger mokka than some of his brothers." Fulcrum says and that- kind of generosity and charsima, similar to Vulkan and Horus.

"HEY!" this Angron shouts over the radio

"Are you trying to get me upset here! Fighting these things aint easy?!"

"Alpha down there is the reason he met you and his other brothers." Fulcrum says as you begin to steadily advance with your small team and take down some of the Slougth nearby.

"Oh THAT Alpha! Well hurry over here! The fun is just starting!" Angron grunts over the radio.

"And what other brothers?!" Angron reiterates

"Well One is I guess, Phi? IDK the full call sign list. He is like Kappa with his machine knowhow, but he seems a bit- odd. I almost feel sorry for him if he didn't some how manage to be as intelligent as he is. Then there is Rho. Rho came from a planet similar to this one. You and him, might get along, though he is from some sort of noble family. His planet is different though, no slavers."

"A high rider is a high rider, a noble is a noble, a gladiator a gladiator, but each man is the captain of his own soul." Angron says and that rings to you a little bit.

"Couldn't agree more. Then there is this red one, which I haven't met yet. He just like appears in dreams to Kappa. I'll stop talking about that and line up your targets Alpha."

"Thank you Fulcrum." You say as you see a few flares fall down from the sky, giving you a clear path towards the Alpha.

"Alpharius, your order?"
>>

>> Act quickly. Have each team member advance to a target individually all at once, then advance as before.

>> Take the slougth and rangda weapons and turn them against them, so more confusion in the ranks, have 'Fulcrum' perform some basic ELINT and jamming.

Riding in vehicles is a distant third to surfing in fun activities.

Now using that same vehicle as a weapon while riding around? If it wasn't so hectic. Maybe a bit better.

You go after the first APC you see that hasn't found you yet and you open up the flack cannons and anhillate the crew. You then turn on, what you now know as a severe flamer and it ignites the whole system fast leading nearby men to flee and you to advance to the next vehicle.

A tank.

a "proper tank" as the captain has called it. One that could cause harm for you. If it can hit you.

You ride around and shoot off a few pot shots and realize your gun is getting nowhere, but it is causing plenty of distraction and much of the rangda force to not react properly.

So you veer close to another vehicle, and the rangda misses you, and hits the destroyed wreck.

The idea works!

You head towards a Rangda tank that you are in the blindspot of, and are fired upon, in time for the other tank to be hit by friendly fire.

Which has both tanks upset at you.

You see something perfect to bail into and capture.

The large two legged walker.

You ram the vehicle into the side of the walker firing upon multiple enemies from both sides. You leap out of the vehicle into the walker, tearing through one of the Rangda that you pull out from the vehicle. The other departs.

You power up the walker, and begin with it's weapons.

It looks like Meera's hellfire or whatever she calls it.

It destroys everything it catches. It may as well be adriathic fire with what it does.

Good.

Your first action is to take down the biggest weapon threat, the large main gun they appeared to be bringing to line. You propel the "walker" which is anything but walking with how it sprints considering it's as simple as running in the rig and turning a wheel to aim yourself. When you run up you are at a full clip and you create a line of fire that seperates a part of the primary rangda unit from the main group. They decide to fire upon you with weapons, that don't penetrate the armor. So they try climbing.

So you begin kicking them.

Apparently it's ability to kick is similar to a human, so you begin the kicking arts of the island.

It doesn't end well for the Randa. Even the bigger ones larger than you go a fair distance from the kick.

You then begin spraying more of the fire upon the main group, and you go upon the heavy vehicle. You think about capturing it, but realize there is another across the field if you so desire.

If the other chain breakers were here, there would probably be a field full of looted vehicles attacking the main force by now and Kolinaisi would have figured out how to operate the almost comically sized gun attached to the tiny four foot walker that was nearby.

When it turns to fire at you, you simply tip it over with a push from the leg and kick the operator to death.

Your actions have quickly gotten the attention of several other vehicles, however, despite the awkwardness of the walker you operate in appearance, it is quite quick and nimble.

You are able to hop over other vehicles and rain fire down upon top, but you know already that this fire is deadly just to breath, so you only target the rangda and slougth.

A warning light, indicating low fuel on the gun probably flashes. You begin kicking at the various vehicles nearby but it doesn't work. And the distant long gun fires a beam of what looked like, nothing.

It looked like it fired something blacker than the shores o the black. It made the area around it darker. Just a beam of black.

Some of the men on the ground begin panicking. Even the Rangda

The beam came from a strange similar walker to yours. Something not much larger, than yours but with two large cannons and painted a flat coat.

This can't be won with simple kicks.

You look at what you think is the weapons selection array.
-
>>
>>5265060

You spot three other weapons that are not out of ammo. Arms that swing out, that look like they are disabled for some reason and have cutting claws, a rocket launcher, and some laser cannon. There is one other- fourth option but it looks like it's permanently deselected and features a strange looking object that seems like a squigly line with multiple triangles, similar to a vine of some kind.

Which weapon do you choose before engaging the other walker?

> The Arms with Claws. Rip and Tear like the sharks of De'lormosa

> The Laser Cannon, it looks like it has decent range and looks like simple controls

> The rocket launcher. Blow the enemy walker up.

We are a little early today due to a birthday celebration for the neighbors child and a concert tonight.

___

You walk to the main deck where your honor guard is waiting for you and Jerah is jawin with em about how he wishes he could go down too.

"Well, that may have to happen this time mate." You say and Jerah actually looks a little excited.

"How many minutes out are we?"

"Not many."

"We still have the same battle plan as before correct?"

"Ya."

"You gonna need all the good pilots and captains you can find, I cannot go down." Jerah said disheartened. Jerah has been known as one of the best boarding captains on De'lormosa and was infamous for reverse boarding actions. He is a great warrior and a good tactician, it's just that he is also the best man for piloting the ships while you are not on board. And who else is going to be able to operate the scanner to see if there are potential prisoners?

"Cap you getin other ideas?"

"Not really. Our plan remains the same- we need Jerah to do scans while we engage in combat. If we can rescue any prisoners aboard some of these ships, maybe even capture a few of these ships, we will need to have him on board." You say looking at him and then he raises an eyeberow and looks shocked.

"Rua-Rua, you realize that in fact, if we capture any more ships, we gonna have a ship for every original crew member?" Jerah brings out the captain speak, and you take a quick mental inventory. You would and you would loop around back to Rongo on ship selection, though due to the way the contract is written everyone gets a share for how much they work, with a 1% so essentially it would be at the point where everyone would get a ship and those who have provided the most labor would get extras if they were not added to the raiding Moka for when you get back.

"I guess we gotta hope they have some good ships to capture with the account." You say and Jerahs green eyes shimmer with a tinge of greed. You practically said the words in the magic language that the old man gave ya. If there was one activity Jerah enjoyed it was capturing ships, and if there was a chance he could have not one but two capital ships, he was going to take it.

"Aye Rua-rua. Indeed we are." He says as he goes to the battle scanner.

"You know just how to work him up." Meera says to you and Yana chuckles.

"It wasn't intentional." You say a little quietly.
>>
>>5267443

"It didn't have to be, when we get to ground, Perturabo is going with us and we are striking behind enemy lines. Jerah would have loved that." Yana points out, seeing as she spends the most time with him.

"Yeah, but he is needed. Roboute is going to need air support, WE are going to need air support." Gella says and that is the truth. Combined warfare is not a new concept, but it is difficult for everyone to adapt to. Most of the men here less than a year ago where unfamiliar with void combat, bombardment from above, and other wild space stratagems that you are still learning and mastering.

"Agreed. This is going to be one where we are not only out numbered and out gunned but we will need to make sure everyone plays their best part." Deliah says.

"We are going in with Perturabo sans whatever contraption he built to hurt the enemy. What should we be prepared for, what weapons systems should we take?" Gella asks as Perturabo joins you on the deck

We get shock, EMP and adriatic for our eletricoty combo
Pert and Roboute get anti-armor and flamers to spearhead
The honour guard get something to fit their especialization, Gela will be piloting so she gets a sidearm of her choice and some extra comunication tools, Deliah will get Flamers and Plasma, Meera will get anti-armor and EMP, and Yana gets adriatic and extra shields (if she dies mom will kill us)

Honestly, that was a possibility. There was a route that your a bit far from to hop on that would have made Kolinaisi a bit more "interesting" and "environmentally friendly" that was one of the routes that was more likely for him to be REDACTED or fall to chaos. (It would have basically been a combination of Ted Kaczynski, Teddy Roosevelt and Haile Selassie. and it would have been just as crazy as it sounds This route was unlikely but not as unlikely as the current route which to be fair, Kolinaisi hasn't really developed a leadership style yet other than his military and captain style.)

The current path you have Kolinaisi on is - well, the hardest one for me to write an organize and it's an enjoyable challenge because I have to seriously do checks and balances for how the heresy is going to go because you have it at point where one primarch can alter the course of history of 40k

Kolinaisis attributes have him where

- Instead of having one primary primarch power, he has a few and all are equally good because you guys push each ability a little bit every time it comes up

-- He has, SPEED, CHARISMA, MACHINE/ELECTRICITY POWER, and SURGEON.

Surgeon was one you weren't really supposed to get unless certain things happened and you guys took the fastest route to get it.

Additionally you got four out of five of the special discoveries prior to the crusade!

Which you technically- still- could find the last one, which if done, really changes things up.

So far they were, in order:

You make the motion to project the arms and claws. It makes the steering a bit more, involved. But you manage.

Running is different now.

It's more fluid and natural, but it still feels like this wasn't exactly designed for a human. The run is quicker, and you are able to strike at the rangda as you make a run at the walker. The few that stand in your way are kicked out of the way or trampled. The run is short.

You begin to strike at it, but the walker shifts tactics from firing at long range to deploying a close range flamer, which you cut off.

Which leads to a fiery blast, but your enemy still has fight.

It begins to swing wildly at you, with inhuman reflexes and speed despite being in a giant walker.

L'ua.

You dodge.

You trap limbs.

You kick causing them to react poorly.

Their walker grabs your mech and attempts to wrestle.

Poor choice.

You flop out of their sloppy grab like a boated shark. You realize the walker has similar biology to you as a human

L'ua.

You quickly break the arms off the walker, causing screaming to happen from inside the walker.

Firing comes upon you, but not from the disabled walker.

A small armored column has begun to pay attention to you.

"Perturabo, for this mission we need your expert advice. What should we each take?" You ask. Perturabo seems, well a tiny bit smug. You may have to be a bit more careful with him. You aren't really to good with mental health yet, it's a whole other course of study and honestly, it's easier to fix broken bodies than broken minds. What damage has been done to Perturabo will heal. But just like a leg you don't want to heal it wrong.

Though, the way he was smug around Deliah may be more indicative of feelings.

The sigh that comes out of your mouth is louder than you realize

"Of course brother!" Perturabo says in a quick fashion. He quickly unrolls a small chart that he had built out for your team ahead of time.

"These are under ideal circumstances of course, I haven't really spent time with your honor guard in combat- but from what I imagine this should work."

Lookin at it-

It is a bit better than ideal, and shows a level of dedicative research.

The layouts have some overlap. Yours seems not changing much, a sort of hybrid option, but you notice a distinct lack of something

"Why no Adriathiacs?" You ask

"Normally they would work good. However, their armor may be able to deflect it, and it is better to use the EMP blaster weapons. Though you may need a different axe brother." Perturabo says and Meera frowns. The axe she has given you has been a staple.

"Then while I am attending to this de-warp, can you and Meera make EMP variants of what we have right?" You ask and Meera's eyes light up.

"That would be wise if we go now we can be done before we de-warp." Perturabo says and you give the Shakka. And he gives a strange facial expression, when you realize he hasn't really gotten it yet.

"So I am not to pilot a fighter on this run?" Gella asks.

"Normally we should. But I need you on the ground, who knows what will be there, and we have the fighters semi automated, and acting in concert. Though you may have to drive the get away vehicle after we teleport down." You say and Gella nods.

"RuaRua, we need last minute entries." Jerah says pointing to the nav room. You grab the ATE off the rack and enter in. Your navigator looks absolutely exhausted.

"Oh hey cap"

"Wait weren't you last shift?" You ask concerned.

"Other Navigator had a shock so I had to start earlier. So double shift, double pay right?"

"If you live to collect it! Where are we going?" You say realizing, that you are not off course yet- in fact you are closer than the estimate. You are going to have to make warp maneuvers. Which are always dangerous.

"No we are fine." They say barely standing next to the console however you are able to make out the Fleet of the Black Judges.

It is a larger fleet, with larger ships. But they are not concentrated in any particular area and they look more focused outside the system. Better, most of the ships with prisoners seem to be furthest out.

The Alpha, seems to be upset.

It roars loudly and begins to attack in a much more animalistic fashion.

It's swings are much more violent and unsettling. It attacks like you, but fights differently.

It's learning on the fly.

You have to adapt too.

Time to try the really stupid thing Oenomaus taught you. If this fails, ya chop off your own head. This works, you steal that void shield, though using this xenos tech, is wrong. Using it against it though, is acceptable.

As it contorts it's body to fight you you swap into your short sword in the main hand and the hefting axe on the off hand. The beast sneers back at you with your face and you go at it with fury throwing him off and punishing it's every move. Waiting

It tries to counter your sword you pummel with axe

It tries to attack you parry with sword and cause it to do something stupid

So you once again swing with your axe

You keep this up untill it thinks it has you down.

And You swing off with the axe and sword in a single strike, freeing the void shield pauldron and placing it on your own armor.

The Beast howls, it's teeth growing while maintaining your appearance as it bays.

With it's raw strength it manages to throw you a little ways but you land on your feet.

So you come at it again. Once again connecting with skin.

It bares it's ugly teeth as suddenly artillery fire comes down next to you, and a small continengent breaks off as another in someone in very good, yet very plain armor arrives.

The Rangda seems a bit perturbed by the situation so runs at you.

The creature needs to go down.

Now.

It's not that it's mocking your face, it's the longer it lives the more likely it will cause more damage.

Alpha fires a few rounds at it.

Good.

You come around and grab it's second void shield and pull it off.

With a quick swing of your axe it's head comes of and you fire an adriathic blast at it. The head is gone.

Then the body turns towards you and begins attack.

"YOU HAVE TO DESTROY IT'S SECOND BRAIN AND REGENERATIVE ORGAN." Alpha shouts to you.

The body still viciously, though wildly, attacking you more fiercely than before is protecting it's chest.

So you fire upon it with multiple adriathic shots.

The body vibrating rapidly.

"It's about to explode! The Adriathic hit the kill condition."

"It's what?"

"Kill condition! Move!" You waste no time and take Alpha to his word and the beast explodes in a fiery death that would have severely hurt you. The big walker that has been acting crazy runs up and out from it pops one of Kolinaisi's men. He looks down at you and at Alpha and hops down.

"Ya gotta hitem in da chest." He says

"They stop then." He continues.

"Well put Tybro." You say grabbing his arm and trading grips

"Good to see ya Angron."

"It's good to see my brother send his very best." You respond and you look over to Alpha. He looks, well, bland. Boring even. He is the most ordinary person you have ever seen in your entire life. And you have seen many people, or rather non-distinct. Even his eyes almost change. Yet there is something familiar about him. You can't quite say.

"You must be the legendary Alpha." You say and he smirks.

"Somewhat legendary, mostly a rumor. Kolinaisi has spoken well of you. One Alpha Rangda down, probably a dozen more to go." Alpha says and looks at you with a bit of worry.

"A dozen?"

"This was a young one. The old ones are really nasty." Alpha says and that was not what you were looking for.

"What you think they only have one? We were lucky we were able to land our ship here. We can't purge the planet safely with a human population. The Rangda will try to enslave the whole planet. All the Alphas and their slougth murder minds have to be killed. We also have to stop any space ships that may try to get involved. The Rangda's actual fleet will probably arrive in, maybe a few weeks, months." Alpha says

"Well how do we stop that?"

"If we kill them here they will choose to move on. They will see it as a lost cause and move on, and come back only if it's essential to territorial gains." Alpha says

Arnou De'Saan had his orders. He had already sent men towards the system. Though now there were bigger issues at play.

The other legions that were involved namely the 13th 12th and 5th, whom had each been given a descreption of their primarch, were hell bent on getting towards new rally points.

Except the 5th.

They really didnt let anyone in onbtheir thoughts.

Not too mention they were one of the legions that didnt really play well with others. Or the fact that they coined half the Eleventh Legions nicknames.

Oddly, the tweflth legion has had a sudden interest as well as the thirteenth in talks of strategy, doctrine and approach. Four primarchs at once. This was a windfall if ever the term had been appropriate. The problem with this was, this might interfere with thr mission.

Clear a way towards De'lormasas system so more of the Impererium could have an outer rim foothold. And while The Mighty Emperor of mankind may not have directly stated it. Arnoul was adept at listening.

There was a high likelihood that the eleventh may be the unit to clear the frontiers, fringes and far sectors once their Primarch joined them. This would be unusual.

So far just the primarch of the 1st had that kind of position. Even The Lupercal had took some time to learn before leading a legion. The Emperor must have had incredible trust in your primarch.

Speaking of there were strange tidings before your departure. Odd requests. They could be shirked, but not by Arnoul De'Saan. Oh no. Any other legion master? Probably.
-
Which would you do? The more you do, the longer your mission will take.

> Fulgrim, the Primarch along With Horus Lupercal, wished to discuss with you your Prinarch and your discussion with him

> Malcador himself had a special request of you that required your attention

> The twelfth sent a platoon of men that wished to join you, in hopes they would meet their fater as well and the wish to meet with you

> The weapons test after action report from the tech sargents had some notes that required your attention

> A small delegation from the thirteenth wished to speak with you

the primarch can talk to Kolinaisi themselves and malcador can talk to him from terra (we can do his request after we meet him). we need the improved firepower and reinforcements.

Got to obey the boss (he probably just want to send a message to old man)

These two can be done at the same time, and they are going to be our borthers in arm in this push.
The weapons we can let Koli, Pert, Nasi and Meera to take a look together with the techboys later.
Horus and Fulgrim will get the opportunity to meet the four soon enough, so need to worry.

"You have my respect. Go in peace. And thank you for the mementos. You have the writ and my support to reform your orders, please keep Malcador and I informed of your progress." He said looking at the gifts.

You shout out as you fling yourself out of the navigators station and on to the main deck you rush up to the main steering column, and Gella has taken her station. "STICK TO THE PLAN!" you cry out in the target rich environment that is causing Jerah's eyes to practically glow with avarice.

"BATTLE STATIONS" You cry out, and it is echoed by Yana on one comm and Nasi on another.

You maneuver quickly. The plan required you to be stealthy, but also precise and --

"THREE UNKNOWN SIGNATURES CAPTAIN!" Yana rings out.

"THEY AREN'T DOING ANYTHING!" Jerah says looking at the read out

"DON'T ENGAGE JUST YET." You shout out.

"NO SIGNS OF SLAVES ON ANY SHIP." You hear Nasi scream over the intercom, and you realize that you have a hot mic.

"AREN'T WE SUPPOSED TO BE SILENT RUNNING?" Deliah says in a mock loud tone and the room just turns to you and in a voice above a whisper you say

"Silent running"

And you hear a few quiet chuckles. Roboute was probably havin a real laugh at that one.

The other ships act in concert with the fierce. And boy are you glad.

The other ships barely have time to react when you strike on the most threatining looking ship. The black judge fleet begins to break up, but there is no time to react.

There attacks miss you with the EM Drive and the quick movements of the other ships.

"CAP. THEY ARE ALL IN EM DRIVE RADIUS. IF WE SHOOT EM WE CAN DISABLE EM ALL." Jerah says breaking the silent running tone, but he does have a point.

Why though?

Why are all these ships bundled so close and barely doing anything?

Why are the other three ships just observing?

Who are they?

It would be a trap had there not been some sort of actual immediate response. You can feel the ship's machine spirit and it's excited and eager hums.

This was a trap..

But not for you..

"Ignore the other ships, stick to the plan!" You proclaim as you begin to conduct the run. You try- for a few moments to see if you can feel out the great machine spirits of the three ships. But you feel nothing. Maybe they are out of reach. Maybe they are just so weird you can't really figure it out.

It goes- well.

Really well.

The space battle lasts less than 4 minutes.

The black judge ships are all either disabled or destroyed.

It is the most anticlimactic battle you could possibly comprehend.

Then the most peculiar thing happens. The three ships, just vanish. No warp signatures. Nothing.

"This is the spookiest thing ever we didn't even loose one ship. I know we should feel good, but something was wrong here." Jerah says looking over to you.

"I don't know what those ships were - Wait..." Yana says and points to a strange set of craft that looked similar. And the listing raises more questions than answers.

"Aeldari? Why would they help? We keep taking down Drukharii whenever we see them." Jerah asks and you read more in depth into the registry

"It says something something Cegorach something Harlequins." You look up and everyone is just as confused as you. Then Perturabo speaks up.

"We shouldn't dawdle. If their fleet was taken out that quickly ground forces will react, and probably violently." Deliah nods and looks at him then to you.

"Agreed. Ya thinkin like a proper chain breaker." You say and Jerah laughs.

"What's funny."

"Everyone we meet ends up actin like a chain breaker." He responds.

"Har." You let out your laugh and he smiles back at ya.

"Maybe it's just proper philosophy. Work hard, play hard, free those in bondage, and fight like angry shark swarm" Jerah says.

"Let's go. This new weapon you made brother, I am excited to test it." You say to Perturabo and he smirks.

"Meera helped a bit. She is a steady hand at machinery and design. I bet imagine would be a good architect as well." He says as the small group goes to the ready room. You all grab the gear that perturabo recommended for each of you and go to the teleporter.

"Did everyone pack rations? Cause we gonna be loosin our lunch and if this thing goes too long we may need to eat." Gella says and Yana barks out showing an extra set of the can meals which causes Erihapti to give the beggar eyes and Yana rubs her head.

"Even for you girl, I aint feedin you now, I don't want you pukin too." Yana says.

"Jerah you navigate to teleport range?"

"Over target."

"Roboute your men ready to deploy?"

"On my mark. This new device of Perturabo- let's just say I am happy he explained it to me." Roboute says

"It isn't that hard to use, I showed you it's operation it'" You hold up two fingers and perturabo nods.

"Arona, Lancer, Y'all ready."

"Aya Cuz."

"We are ready."

"Uncle Kai- how my lads doin?"

"Wishin you were leadin us like in the day, but we will manage working with roboute's men." Kai says. You think you should say something. You know better.

"We all be singin after this lads. Jerah, Mark it." You say and you can feel the ship make the deploy drop. You hit the teleporter.

How many times must we replay the same tragedies? Do the dark pretenders feel this sting worse? Is there any way to just break these chains forever and free us all of an infinite recursion?"

THE TABLE WAS ALL WRONG!

The oldest fumed! The trickster and the youngest and their games, worse the plagued one. All their meddling! The game was ruined! Nothing made sense!

The table was upended and nothing made sense. The shadow moved, gaining power, the golden light playing it's tricks. Then there were the outsiders.

Only the trickster knew about it, or so the trickster thought.

The Eldest Knew about it before the trickster. The outsider was always there. It's meddling wasn't noticed by the trickster till now. It put the Golden piece on the board.

Of Course the plagued one wanted it. And now the piece was unplayable. Gone. It would wreck havoc on the board and bite the plagued one on the hand later. Like the trickster thought.

Then the youngest full of ambition wanting a perfect game went for the shark, and now the shark behaved EVEN MORE ERRATIC. THAT WASNT SUPPOSED TO BE POSSIBLE.

The table was the mess.

Yet.

The eldest could clear the board. Could sweep the table. Two powerful pieces. One taken, one moved. The eldest didn't want the wolf. Nor the bat. The hawk was tempting, it was perfect, but it was also as strange as the bat. They wouldn't perform as expected. Too much like the old angel piece that was removed. Far Too wild.

YET.

If the wolf was made stronger. It would be the perfect piece. Then he caught it.

The bat moved.

On it's own.

The outsider made it's turn.

The fiery piece, moved, just a bit. It was now in a place that changed things entirely, probably by the shadow.

The shark flopped about disrupting the table. Worse was the sharks singing. The castle being hard to even move around was annoying enough, but the sharks annoying song angered the eldest even more than usual.

The wolf would become strong. So the eldest trapped the wolf. It would either adapt overcome and be the strongest piece on the board, or it would die and the hawk would be the next piece.

The Trickster cringed at this play.

good. let them. The eldest thought.

-

WHAT WAS THE ELDEST DOING?

ATTACKING THE RABID WOLF?

This wasn't trickery. This was a plan. The Bloody one wanted a new champion, but if the wolf- no. The wolf could change everything. If the wolf was angered, it would go after every piece on the board.

The trickster needed to hedge it's bets. It looked carefully, it wanted to look fast and natural, but it needed a secondary champion.

One that could work-

The Stallion?

The Crow?

The Giant?

The trickster smiled and moved a hand

Colchis was a terrible place.

No place to raise a child.

No place for free thought.

No place outside the orthodoxy.

So the pariahs roamed.

Long ago their ancient allies said they would return no matter how long it took. They would return. The pariahs remembered they were not always from here. They knew their old home was terra. They kept to their law.

No Gods.

No Masters But Humanity.

Lorgar, probably came from terra she thought. The child was not even 13 and he was well over two meters and still growing.

He was a good son.

If only she could provide a better life besides raiding.

Lorgar, was helpful. He was a natural leader. He was charming. This change though- looking for the parts to the ship in the old text, was risky.

Raiding the pilgrims could bring down their inquisitors.

He put his large hand on her shoulder and looked down and smiled.

"It will be well mother. We will find these engines soon. And if we die, do not worry. At least we won't have to live under the yoke of our oppressor's, and one day- the Terrans will return and rid this world of it's wrongs. But you can't die to day, I cherish you and father too much."

"My son. You talk too much. Noise discipline! These pilgrims can hear us if we are too loud."

Lorgar nods.

And the pilgrims stop to talk to Cassar

And he cuts down the man with the weapon.

The horn is sounded and the charge begins.

You slice the throat of a temple guardian looking the other way and plunge your knife into a tattooed man. You weave around with your daggers and cut many down, your husband falling to the ground.

He would be fine.

"YOU SHALL NOT TAKE OUR RELIQUERY. YOUR FIFLTHY UNTOUCHABLE HANDS SHALL NOT TAINT OUR HOLIEST ARTIFACT." A voice shouted and a cold steel.

Then white hot pain.

You would not.

The spear from the guard with the eight pointed halo sneered right until his head was parted by your sons mace.

You cannot die.

Not yet.

You wait. You get up, keep the spear so you don't bleed as fast. You cut down another who is a novice shocked by the audacity of you to live. You go over to your husband

"I love you Ibram."

"You are my world Yassa." He says and you see it. He won't be fine. The wound was fatal. Your son in a fiery rage begins slaughtering the pilgrims. Then stops at the children and walks over to you two.

"Mother. Father. I am sorry I failed you." He says with tears in his eyes.

"You have not failed us my son. We could not be more happy that you live. That you have grown so strong and so tall."

"I will always remember you. You will live on in my heart and memory. I will make sure that they pay for your deaths."

"We raided them. You knew it could happen." Your husband lets out.

"They shouldn't be worshipping these trinkets! It's just an urn! We wanted their gold and the scrap they wish to melt down!" He says smashing the item.

"Son, you will free our people from this world. You will rebuild the ark ship and find someone who can help us." Your husband says.

"And you will have many children, and make me a happy grandmother." You let out as Lorgar holds you close.

"I will mother."

-

You light the fires to cremate your parents.

They are gone. They died together in combat. Better than most can ask for on this world. You look at your tribe of pariahs.

>> "The Work Must Continue! We must leave here at once! We must find our homeworld through the ark ship."

>> "We will suffer no more loses! We will be more careful, more deliberate and more exacting. Then we shall leave this world with our people intact."

>> "NO MORE. WE STRIKE AT THE CITIES. WE SHOW THESE FOOLS THE ERRORS OF THEIR WAYS."

>> "No more mercy. No gods. No Masters. The next caravan we do not barter, and we do not rest until our work is done."

Nocturn was a crime ridden pisshole where if you weren't being robbed you were being stabbed, or extorted.

Except your district.

He saw to that.

He found you, trying to pick pockets. But he stopped you. He almost knifed you. And he stopped. Then you talked. And he talked.

Konrad. The Night Haunter. The Dark Avenger.

He was what this world needed.

He was weird as hell. Taller than any human. Scary as fuck. The most brutal man you met. Yet- he had his mercies. Well, recently.

The voices stopped.

Or at least he said that. He hadn't had a nightmare in weeks, which was amazing because he didn't wake you up from his sleep screaming about assassins or giant flaming men or a dragon or whatever the fuck the golden one was.

You handed him some juice.

"Thank you Sasha." He said. His voice was less angry.

"So which drug dealer are we robbing tonight."

"The Black Blades."
-
>>
"YEESH. Aiming a bit high tonight are we?" You say and he looks at you gives you the tiniest smirk.

"Y-you are my first friend Sasha. I am still getting used to your humor."

"I am glad you spared me. I am staying on the straight and narrow, besides, giving these assholes what they deserve actually feels good."

"We need to do more though. We need to expand. We need others like us who are committed to justice."

"That's a tiny population."

"But if we harness it right we can actually do something! We can send a message! Look at what you have become! You are stronger, you are a better warrior, and despite you still swearing so much, are better mannered."

"Woops."

"My old ways were severe. They worked. You have showed me that mercy can also work for some. I think I need to teach these crime lords an example.. When is the syndicate meeting?"

"Ummm... I wasn't that high up in the gutter snipes to actually know that- but at the end of the month, around this time, the boss would be tense and waited for a man to talk to him, then we would go." And Konrad was getting the weird look when he would see things.

"The future always cloudy huh?"

"I saw two conflicting images with you, and they were both wrong the second you said please." Thanks Ma. For the one lesson you taught me before dying.

Really appreciate it. Stuck here with an insane vigilante as his batman. But he did have a point.

"What we do tonight will be- brutal."

"You are always brutal. I have seen you flay a man alive. Granted he was a pedophile, but that's besides the point." Come to think of it you have seen him flay a lot of people alive. But it's only reserved for the worst.

"You are still unphased by all this." he says with a worried look. What makes a man like that worried?

"Because my mother dropped me on the head too many times as a kid Konrad. Whaddya expect?" Though to be quite honest, some of the food and things you ate may not have been so good for your brain and development.
>>
>>5292161

"I expect you to be more polite about the memory of a woman who ultimately saved your life. Yet- I could envision a woman raising a child around here in that way. Do you still know the call signs of the Dark Sisters?" Konrad wants action? This is new.

"Konrad you don't look like the type who emm. well, not to be rude, but I don't think they will service you. Also as I approve of you having human emotions and desires, but the whole point of the night sisters is they kill ya afterwards so you at least have a death on your terms. Plus I thought we were going to crack down on- OH! You want us "

"I prefer you work things out in your head non-verbally, but I can appreciate that you did work it out." He approves of you! Or that's what his hideous looking pseudosmile thing said. It would kill any woman if he did that to them. Yeesh.

"I, well, yeah I kinda remember some of them. Even know their bosses 'Madame Desiree's' call one. Though I didn't know intrigue was something you wanted to practice." This was new! Maybe Konrad was changing more to be less overt and crazy about his anti-corruption pro justice campaign.

"It's not. We aren't going to even use subtly. "

"Konrad? Pal? Whatchya planning buddy?" Your worried. This sounds bad.

"We are going to use truth. We are going to tell them exactly what I plan to do, broadcast all channels. And await their response."

"I thought you didn't like suicide, granted I am glad you didn't kill the one girl who was planning to do it, and you just talked to her. Is she actually gonna be coming to help us like she said?" You ask

"I am." Ah she returned,

"Elvira. You are early. That is a good trait to have."

"You showed me that there are things worth living for. That things could get better. I want to help."

"Then I need you to do exactly as I, and unfortunately Sasha, says."

"Ouch." You say trying to lighten Konrads disposition. It doesn't work.

"Did you bring any friends, like I asked?" Konrad says

"I did." And there were three men. One had a red hand. That was a bad sign.

"If we do this right, we can reign in this city. And then all of Nostromo. Bring about real justice." He said, and his voice was often scary. But something rang true to his words. The others that Elvira brought in nodded.

"Sasha, do you still know how to access the unexploded munitions dump?"

"PLAN EXECUTE!" Roboute says loudly over the comm.

"Which way Bruddah?" You ask Perturabo and he looks about then looks confused.

"Whats wrong?" You ask.

"This isn't the normal layout of the palace." He says.

"What do you mean?" You ask your brother to clarify

"How accurate is your teleporter?" He asks

"It's accuracy is less than a meter." He says looking as if he is confused for the first time in his life.

"Then, they did something to the walls. They made fake walls. They built a maze to trick us." Perturabo says.

"Great. So they know we could teleport in." Yana says and Erihapti makes a brief grackle.

"We don't know that. This may be additional siege reinforcements, or some strange design choice. Perturabo, are you certain that these walls are the same material, and different?" You ask

"Absolutely." He says

The Schemer was puzzled and perplexed- this brash move! The Audacity!

K

Two could play at that game-

and yet, there was something it wanted.

Maybe it could withdraw it's hand, trick the others find out what they wanted more- but doing that too often would reveal the game of this. No. That tactic was to be used sparringly.

The Hawk

The Crow.

The Schemer couldn't decide.

So the schemer wouldn't and left it to chance. Yes. Chance. Randomness. He would flip a coin. 1 or 2.

As The Scheming one flipped the coin, it smiled, knowing the fear that was being caused. Little did they know that this was something the shadow approved of.

The war was all around, and the local area was quickly dissolving.

"Alpha! You have dealt with this before right?" Angron asked you. One of your brothers asking you for advice? This was a first.

"Affirmative." You respond in a neutral tone

"Well guess who is temporary field commander then?" He says with a grin.

"Fra-Fulcrum!, please tell me you too have dealt with this?"

"Dealt with a clusterfuck on this planet before? Or a clusterfuck like this before?"

"Fulcrum!"

"I was at the collapse of the Carrigan 2" If what Fulcrum said was true, this was a powerful ally. Part of you now working with your legion more was due to not only Carrigan 2 but some of the other more absurd battles that have involved equally absurd xenos. Your father would be sorely upset if the Khrave showed their ugly faces again.

"That doesn't mean anything to me, but-"

"It does to me." You let out

"Fulcrum, you where there, continue to be a harrier. Punish anything you see fleeing that doesn't look human or isn't acting human. Keep in touch with my ship, the code is Hydra 5-1-3."

"Wait. Hydra code? Are you related to a guy named Alpharius who was at -"

"It's a fairly common call sign these days." You respond

"Sure. This is going about like that. Fine. I'll do what I do best and provide support."

"This is nice ya. But what ya wan me doin?" Tybro asks and Angron smiles.

"Watch our backs." You respond and Angron nods.

"We need to go towards the city, check on your Leaguer allies, and then move outward. Infiltrators can be incredibly powerful. Fortunately this is only a small force as-"
>>
>>5295372

"What's your definition of a big force?" Angron asks

"There wouldn't be a sector if there was one. I wouldn't be talking to you."

"Oh that's reassuring." He says

"Humor is a good coping mechanism-"

"Oh I agree, I was referring to the fact that if it is a small force than that distractive force over there should be the last of this front then?" Angron points to a small line quickly running towards the walled city.

"I would think so. Unless they are particularly ahead of there notable way of doing things."

"Well I guess we should tilt towards it." Angron tells you.

"Perturabo, lead the way- we shall rectify this," ya look around and there really isn't a good word to describe what the hell this crazy thing is that is in the walls of the palace you were sent on

"Hastily built, pathetic excuse for a labyrinth"

"Yeah." You say and he runs through one of the walls.

The girls look at you with a curious look, and you shrug and follow close behind.

It doesn't take long for you to catch up and Perturabo looks to you nods, and using a hammer he had made that rivals your axe in size, he knocks down the wall.

Not punches a hole in it.

Knocks down a whole segment.

He looks through and you follow suit.

And an orange beam flies by as a walker larger than you with two large guns for arms begins making a noise. You pull perturabo back as a hail of orange beams go by you.

You throw a small EMP grenade and there is a flash of light and a semi soft bang with a strange noise, that sounds like a machine spirits scream. You look around the corner and the walker is slouched over and there are loud noises coming from the walker.

"How long will it be out?" Yana asks.

"Long enough to do this..." Perturabo says opening the walker, throwing out a burnt out husk and you can tell, the EMP is probably what killed it.

Your body ducks away as you feel electricity in the air shift, you turn to face what is another walker that is advancing quickly firing one gun arm and wielding a bare fist.

When it comes at you, it throws the fist at you and readies the gun, which you direct away as it fires wildly, clearly upsetting perturabo who leaps over you and brings his hammer down, crumpling the walker.

Perturabo then walked over to a sculpture held it and put it back on a mantle.

"Who is that?" You ask and then realize it's a sculpture of your brother. With a a blemish from the blast.

"It's me. My, sister, made it for me." He says and you understand his rage.

"Which way?" You ask

"Well, if we follow this way- throne room. That way, towards the armory. I think these were mere scouts and lesser ones. They wouldn't have these on the front lines. They were not that skilled." He says and you have to agree

"Which way should we go first?" Perturabo asks.

SO IT BEGINS!

I WAS HYPED FOR THIS POST! WE GOT TO IT AND I CAN'T BELIVE THIS WAS THE PATH CHOSEN!

"It's my army, but it's your home bruddah. It's only right if ya decide." You say and Perturabo looks around carefully. He begins walking forward and you and the girls follow.

The path of the speed run, with write ins, and options is dangerous. You may find yourself in a place that you shouldn't be until later in the great crusade. You chose this path. This is one of the weirder positions that could happen.

You chose the only possible way for this to happen.

Had Perturabo not chosen-

You would have never gotten here.

You would have a different scene entirely.

__
"Personally, I would go for the throne room, I would risk losing equipment ove-" You can't finish your statement before Perturabo opens a secret passage.

"Personally I find secret passages like this a bit gauche. One of my adopted fathers fathers ancestors built these tunnels. Now I know why. It leads to the throne in a more clandestine way." He says and you shrug and follow, surprised that a secret hallway can fit both you and your brother.

"Must of been a good builder." You say

"It has lasted quite a long time." He says. There is a tense silence, and the hallway grows darker until there is some lighting, then you arrive at what looks like a piece of glass and Perturabo motions to keep quiet. You see people on their knees, and Perturabo's expression is dark.

You see some very powerful looking walkers at the front entrance, similar to the ones you fought that would probably give a knight some problems.

And you see it.

"This is boring. I was promised something more. You said one of them was here! You said you would deliver them to me personally Crhragmel! The power I could harness from just one of these man made monstrosties! All you had to do was wait, find the being and give them to me! I had been so good to you Crhagmel! I taught your kind how to leech life! Humanity isn't biologically capable of that! I lent you the services of the Ganth, which, I know, you didn't approve of but you needed them to provide you slaves. I even given your high guardians powerful armor, and you an eternal vessel made of some of the finest technology! But you failed me, and now you summon me here? Why? Why shouldn't I use your own technology against you to provide some entertainment to myself and a small snack?"

It's taller than you. By probably a meter. It's large batlike wings are fully outstretched. It's skin black as night. It has hair and appearances similar to a bat. It has talons and weapons unlike anything you have ever seen, and your instincts are screaming at you. Something is wrong. Very. Wrong.

It can see you without sight. It knows you are here somehow.

It wants you to watch. Why? What is it's game?

"I have footage of him infiltrating the system, and there is footage of him teleporting in the building! His father is tortured, beaten and barely alive! He will come straight to you, I have done all this for you master! Please give of me what was promised!" The small strange metal suit says

"You fool. Come on out Perturabo. Bring your brother. I have been looking forward to this. Also please know that I did not intend for this one to beat your father to death. But if it brings out what I need from you-" and the being turns and it's stare breaks the glass leaving Perturabo in a state you have not seen. He immediately fires his weapon and it is as if the projectiles arc around it into the the being in the strange metal suit which instantly falls over.

"Then so be it. Oh and you brought the eleventh! How strange I had not quite prepared for a fair fight!" The beast says brushing off what you can now discern as a kind of hair.

"Your arrogance is almost as terrible as your appearance." Perturabo notes stepping out of the tunnel.

"Oh, I am not. I will even be fair and send these interlopers away. All I have to do is kill just one of you after all! Two Primarchs to me? I think I can manage." The beast sneers and it's as if the light around it starts failing.

"You forgot about us." Deliah says as your honor guard readies weapons and in a hideous display the beast rolls it's eyes and makes out a noise that can only be described as laughter that causes your entire honor guard to fall down, ears bleeding.

"Oh right! You were serious! You have to be careful little psyker thing! I almost laughed so hard I summoned an enslaver plague! Oh well, you four can just lay there paralyzed for a little while as I giggle of that thought! Humans are so fragile!" It says as Erihapti growls.

"OH AND YOU BROUGHT A SNACK FOR ME! SHOAL STOAT MEAT IS SO TENDER AND DELCIOUS! IT'S SO YOUNG THAT IT WOULD BE A DELICACY!" it says causing Erihapti to give an alert bark. And you can tell that it's trying to get ya goat. It's working, but you do not act so rash as you step out of the mirror. Your instincts are on fire. This thing exists in the warp and real space simultaneously, you can tell by the mana flowing around it.

But some things must be answered.

This, thing, is the living embodiment of tyranny.

It must pay.
