Wealth, fame, power. Gold Roger the king of the pirates obtained this and everything else the world had to offer. And his dying words drove countless souls to the seas.
"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything I gathered together in one place. Now you just have to find it!"
But rather than what that treasure is, or where is it you have bigger things on your mind right now. Like "What's a mink?".

"Eh?"
Becoming more aware of her surroundings Pepe stops shaking the rat-man by his collar and instead opts to cover herself with both hands.
"Do you really think this is the most appropriate time for that?"

"Yeah. You're right. Hey Dexter! Do you have any milk? Stories are always better with milk!"

"No-no hairless rat thing. But me bring clothes before female strangle-murders me-me."
The rat goes back and fetches Clowns clown clothes.
"Here scary woman-thing. Me wash-clean them for you with mushroom juice!"

"Tch. So you had your paws all over it? This just keeps getting better and better. If any of you spy on me while I'm dressing you're both dead!"
After angrily storming off to a secluded little chamber of the cave Pepe comes back looking prim and proper despite the dank, musky cave.
"Alright. So... what is a mink doing here?"

"What's a mink?"

"Sigh. Minks are a tribe of people. Like the long-legs, long-arms or fish-men. You could think of them as furry humans. They walk upright, can talk but are covered from head to toe in fur, have tails and the heads of animals. This thing is clearly one of those. And an ugly one at that. I'm asking what it's doing here because Minks are probably the second most secretive tribe out of them all. Like the giants or fish-men or dwarves they inhabit only one island. But nobody knows where it is and very few minks ever leave it."

"Ooooooh! So like Turtlecat! That makes sense. So he's a mink. Cool! Hey Dexter did you know all that?"

"Oh me-me not know where mom and pop are from. Me was born here in cave-home."

"Well that would explain it. His parents were likely captured and imprisoned here. And the fact they could keep two Full Moon Warriors locked up means I may have underestimated their capabilities..."

"Whoa! Hold on! Back up! Did you say Full Moon Warriors? That sounds wicked!"
>>
"Pretty much the only concrete thing known about the minks is that they are somehow tied to the moon. The mink tribe is at its fullest when the moon is full as it unleashes their terrible hidden strength."

"WHOAH! Hey Squeak! Can you do that?!"

"What-what? Me-me? No no no! Me no look at moon! Mom and Pop say so! Me only go to the surface when it's not a full moon to look at shiny-glinty stars. But me scared of moon."

"Come oooon! It'll be fun! And I wanna see it real bad!"

"No!"

Clown scratches her head at your idiocy.
"Anyway now that we know the "Devil" was nothing more than an oversized rat mixed with a drug induced hallucination we should get back to what's actually important. You making some noise."

>Oh yeah. Agreed! Hey Dexter! We'll chat later! I got an island to smash now
>Not so fast Clown! Look at all this stuff! I wanna hang out with the rat more and see all the gadgets he made!

"Oh yeah. Agreed! Hey Dexter! I got an island to smash. Wanna come?"

"What? Smash-break island?"

"Yup!"

"But this is where me-me lives!"

"No no! I wouldn't do that to you my furry little friend! I'm just gonna go up and beat up anyone that I don't like! You're not included in that of course."

"Hnnnng. Me-me not sure. Me got big flamethrower. But Wardens much too big-strong. Brother-friend should not go bash-bash if he knows what's good-good for them."

You laugh the ratman off and go to pick up the two kids who are still sleeping and shake them awake.
"Hey! Get up! We're moving. Eat some soup and let's go!"

"W-Where are we going? AH! DEMON!"

"Nono. That's just Dexter. He's a friend. Now come on. Eat! We're gonna start a riot!"

After prying open the mouth of the kids and forcibly feeding them tasty mushroom soup you carry them back through the tunnels since it's quite dark and only you can navigate them safely. Well, maybe Clown could but that's a different thing. As you put the kids on your shoulder however Dexter starts running after you.
"W-Wait brother-friend! Wait for me-me!"

He packs himself a pair of goggles and picks up his flame thrower as he runs after you. He explains that the tunnels are dangerous as all sorts of weird critters enter his tunnels that need to be regularly purged so things are at least somewhat passable. The rat is almost surprised that you are so capable of moving about in the darkness but then he remembers you are also a "rat" and so he just laments how not used to social situations he is. Several minutes later you get back to the surface and the mink puts on his goggles.
"Ooooh. The night sky sure is pretty-beautiful today-day!"

"I thought you fear the sky."

"No. Me-me only fears the moon. But me-me loves looking at the sky. There is something majestic about the night sky and the stars. Me-me always liked gazing at them."

"Hmmmm. Me too!"

"If you're quite done bonding with your brother from a different mother how about you get to work and do what you do best? Hmmm?"

"Alright. Alright."
After setting the siblings down you crack your knuckles.
"So. Where were we? Oh I remember!"
You take out your den den mushi and connect to the others.
"Hey there! Missed me?"

"About time you showed up! The hell happened Silver?!"

"I'll tell you later! But I found our newest crew member!"

"WHAT?!"
"WHAT?!"
"Oh boy."

"None of that you! Now remember what I said before? Find a warden each. Beat the snot out of them!"

"ROGER!"
"ROGER!"

"Finally."
Clown sighs with relief.
"Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go."

"Whaaaat? You're not joining us?"

"What? You want me to provide musical accompaniment to your fight? Don't answer that. Anyway I'll be a safe distance away from all the actual fighting. We'll catch up later."

"Good idea!"
You hurl the kids at them.
"Keep them and Dexter safe while I'm gone!"

"B-But-"

"SEE YA!"

Leaving the others behind you close your eyes and start regulating your breathing until you get hyper focused and your echo location pretty much covers the entire layer of the island that you're in. After detecting the sound of machinery you know where to go and along the way you pat a few workers on the back and tell them they should take a break. None of them take you seriously until the sound of explosions from the other layers hit their ears and they all drop the tools they were holding, wondering what's happening.

After a bit more walking you reach the end of the layer where several conveyor belts help carry the mined minerals, metals and gems high above with elevators for prison personnel to do their duty. You see a man talking into a den-den mushi in between shouting at the prisoners to get back to work.
"What's going on chief? What are these sounds? Another navy raid?"

"No. None of the watchtowers said anything about ships. I think it's a riot."

"Riot? Hmph. That's a first. Maybe we did go soft on these scum. Guess we'll have to refine our breaking program. Should I go over and help those poor bastards get things under control?"

"No. Stay at your post and make sure yours doesn't get out of control as well. This should be wrapped up soon."

"Got it-"
The man then spots you and scowls. He's an ugly son of a bitch with two crab claws for hands and big bulging eyes that glisten in many different colors. His skin looks like it's covered by a chitinous red, green and blue shell in spots all over his body. He also has a mustache though it looks more like two antennae sticking out of his face.
"Hold that thought chief. I think I may have found one of the perpetrators."

"Really? How do they look?"

"Like someone who'll need a close casket funeral in a second."
With an audible click he shuts off his transponder snail and tucks it away before pointing at you with his thick clawed hand.
"Hey you! Pretty boy! I don't see any dirt on you! So you must be a newbie. Pick up that hammer there and get working!"

"No."

He smirks.
"I was hoping you'd say that!"
His claws start snapping in excitement and you take off your suit so it doesn't get in the way.

Considering the situation of the island and what you just overheard you'd rather not waste too much time on this chump. There are plenty more fish to fry out there, including that chief of his.
"Time to mop the floor with you!"
Grinning you take off intending to beat that guy to a thin paste as fast as possible. Using Shakushi and your observation you close the distance and get ready to punch him in the face when you see that he's looking directly at you.
"Eh?"

Something blinds you, as if a blazing star is born right in front of your very eyes and you feel something hitting your face at a speed so fast even your observation failed to pick it up. Feeling your face distort and the flesh burn you are flung into a wall and everything above the waist embeds in the stone. Dusting himself off the warden takes out his transponder snail.
"Stoma here."

"Done already?"

"Yeah. Direct hit to the head. His brain is nothing more than slurry now."

"Good. Search the body and-"

"Aw man!"
You speak up and cut into the conversation.
"That was the good side of my face! Why couldn't you hit the one with the eyepatch?! Now I'll never be pretty!"
Vibrating the rock so hard you explode out of it you land on your feet and grin despite the fact that the right side of your face is barely holding together.

"U-Uh. I'll call you back chief."

"WAI-"
Click.

"Hmmm. How do you function without a brain?"

"Well Hook always says I don't have one so... you figure it out!"

"Interesting..."

The man takes the stance of a boxer and puts up his guard, practically begging you to try attacking him again. And you oblige. Rushing him you meet fist to fist and in the middle of your exchange you realize what happened but a moment ago. Each time he swings his fists they go so fast they flare up from the friction and when they strike they explode with the force of a cannonball. But that's not what's scary. Strength you can deal with. You can meet it, exceed it. What's worse is his speed. Not of his movements but his reactions. He does not loose sight of you even for an instant. Eventually you draw your sword, hoping that with the extra reach you can gain the upper hand. However he clamps one of his claws down on the blade and stops it dead.
"Nice knife!"

He throws another punch with his free hand and you grab it with yours. Finally you got him.
"Home run!"
Doing a backflip you kick him in the chin.
>>
>>5313180
Oh damn, the Shrimp Shrimp Fruit, Model: Mantis. Sick, that might be one of the best regular zoans.
>>
>>5313201
If we ever come across a poison dart frog zoan fruit can we all agree that toxic gets it.
>>
He stumbles backwards after letting go of Argent and he holds his chin painfully.
"Argh... That smarts. Surviving one punch is crazy. Managing to match me in a boxing match is insane. Just who the hell are you? HQ really dropped the ball when they dropped you in without breaking you first!"

"My name is Silver! But what are you?"

"Shakokokoko! You don't know? Fine. I suppose I could educate you before I grind your bones to dust! I'm what happens when a fish-man and a human love each other very much. And as a hybrid I possess the powers of a mantis shrimp with both the greatest sight in the world and the strongest punch of any creature!"
He opens his claws and points them at you. Water is secreted from them before he clamps them down and the moisture shoots out like a cleaving blade at a speed similar to his punches.

Drawing Parley you shoot the watery projectile out of the air. But the collision was violent enough to stop even Parleys bullet. You smirk.
"Neat. I am also something else!"

"Oh yeah? What? Half human half moron?"

"Bat."
You holster your weapons.
"Silver Style Double Shift: Zephonim and Dumahim."

For the first time since the beginning of the engagement you manage to catch him off guard with your speed. Delivering a punch directly to his gut you manage to crack the hard shells covering that area of his body and send him flying into a wall just like how he sent you. But the difference is that while he can match you in terms of speed and strength he doesn't seem as durable. Coughing up the fluids that filled his throat on impact he struggles to break away from the wall.
"Cough. Cough. Bloody hell. Don't tell me all that nonsense was right and you're a demon who crawled out of hell..."

"No but he is my friend."

"Well if you think I'm gonna go down that easy you're wrong!"
Struggling a bit he gets back up on his feet.
"Just one or two more hits and I'll rip your fucking eyes out! Then we'll see who's tough!"

"Still me."

"That's enough!"
A new voice strikes your ear as the loudspeakers roar to life and the elevator starts whirring.

"C-Chief?!"

"Stoma back off and reinforce the other layers."

"But chief I can-"

"I watched from the cameras and no you can't. That man is the wanted pirate Cavalier Silver. A man worth 650 million."

"W-What?! I... understood."

The crab guy starts limping away and you roar after him.
"HEY! I'm not done with you!"

"But I am. Welcome to hell pirate scum!"
He giggles to himself painfully as he leaves.

Turning your attention to the "chief" you scowl. She's nothing more than a little girl in a military uniform. She even has twintails like she just came from the playground.
"Do I not impress you?"
She asks you as she steps out of the elevator.

"No. Not really."

"Then allow me to change your mind. You see there is a reason why I'm the chief warden here. It's because there is nobody who could beat me in this world."
She uses soru and appears behind you.
>>
"Not impressed. I can do that too."

"Oh really? But can you do that?"
She points at your shadow which begins to bubble as something emerges from it. The girl gives you quite a menacing yet excited look as this transpires.
"You see I have quite a special power that makes me unbeatable! All I need is one touch and I win. For I ate the Clone-Clone fruit!"

A perfect copy of yours, down to your weapons and even the damage you just sustained emerges from the shadow and it briefly looks around before smiling.
"Hi! My name is Silver!"

I try to stick to the japanese words for fruits
i.e. Gomu Gomu no Mi. Simply because 9 times out of 10 the english ones are cringe and I'm just used to it from watching the anime subbed back in the ye olde days

For clarifications
>Mr 2's fruit is the Mane Mane no Mi which lets him copy the appearance of others
>This is the Kuron Kuron no Mi (unless there is another word in nipponeese for clone but I couldn't find one) which CREATES a clone of anyone they touch

damn. well she got what she deserved for being greedy. should have listened to silvers advice. still leads back to the issue of needing to attacking impel down for a choice of 2 fruits.
>>
>>5313337
I think Gu is better off finding and making his own poisons instead of relying on a fruit.
>>
>>5313337
you know what the scary part is?
Silver can fly, meaning he can bypass the big ol' sea gate things they have around Impel Down/marineford/Enies Lobby... So he absolutely could, and probably would if he got bored one day and thought to himself "You know what would make the Marines entertain me more often? If I pissed in their cereal!"

Still unlikely to happen, but very possible.
Frankly the main issue lies in that Luffy broke in/out and Blackbeard recruited from there, and Silver isn't one to copy others.
>>
>>5313365
theres also the fact that we're raiding the non wg equivalent of impel down right now. we got our own, fluffier ivankov following our tracks and pissing off our clown, and we're staring down the off brand magellan they have overseeing this place.
>>
>>5313283
This is actually perfect. There's no quicker way to get this Island demolished.

Also, I wonder how the Silver Clone would react if we told him his creator is a child slaver.
>>
>>5313628
No its not, I wanted a neat unconquerable fortress with Silver's name on it to lord over the marines, Peclo and Du Feld at the wedding.
And also because a giant fortress island would be a very useful asset when we inevitably and accidentally take over said kings of the underworlds operations, just a massive smuggler's den/warehouse/las vegas/armory.

West Blue Seadogs Z
Chapter 2

Something emerged from the waters next to the Dauntless. A yellow submarine out of which Z's reinforcements poured out. The first to land were the Pacifistas. Five of the killing machines landed on deck and took aim. Normally they wouldn't worry too much about mere machines but this time was different. These ones were off model with a slightly different look to them and clearly visible robotic parts. Either they were some sort of prototype models or new experimental ones. Whatever the case may be they warranted attention. Unfortunately for the Silvers the cyborgs were not what they should've paid attention to.

Two smaller figures also made shipfall and they got to work quick. The first one was a flamboyant ninja belonging to the ling-arm tribe and wearing a pink bodysuit of sorts. With his long arms he quickly flicked barely perceptible seeds onto the Silvers and began dancing.
"Mosa-Mosa!"

The seeds sprouted into fully grown, thick vines that constricted those that they hit. Only the nimble and those with acute senses managed to avoid being subdued in this fashion. Hagetakas glass body can not be constrained in that manner, Anns spider web alarmed her of the projectile in time, whilst William and Marcella possessed advanced enough Observation to avoid the attack in time. The others however got bound.
"That freakshow got a weird ability! Let's see what it does when I blow his head off!"
Will growled as he drew his trusty crossbow Rocket and readied an explosive bolt with it. Before he could fire however he was ambushed by the other enemy that showed up.

"William! Watch out!"
Ann with her tiny body jumped between Bullseye and his assailant. She did not know what the hostile girl was planning but it's a good rule of thumb that if an enemy wants nothing more than merely touch you it's imperative you don't let them. Knocking Will out of the way Ann did just that.

"Modo-Modo!"
The blue haired girl did not seem too bothered by the nuns actions. One target was as good as any. Her devil fruit immediately took effect once she made contact with Spiders body.

"KYAAAAAAA!"
Ann felt her body atrophying, her skin tightening around her frame, her organs slightly shifting around. Certain sensations disappeared while entirely new ones surfaced. Her back pain was gone and she could see better than in years. She became slimmer, shorter and felt a burst of energy. In short, she became younger. Her entire body seemingly reverted to the state it was in around roughly ten years ago.
"E-Eh?"
All except her clothes, which were now all way too big for her and she tripped on them the second she tried to take a step.

"That's one."
The blue haired girl looked at Ann as Marcella charged her. Taking out a gun from her belt she fired a small cannonball at Hook who was quite amused by this. No bullet could harm her. She'd just sprout hooks from her body and catch the projectile before it made contact like always. And so she did. Except-

"Modo-Modo."
The iron ball turned into an anvil while it was still attached to her and it dragged her down faster than she could react.

"Try me bitch!"
Marcella growled and from every inch of her body hooks sprouted in order to prevent the girl from touching her.

"Modo-Modo."
But her plan fell apart as the blue haired girl swatted with her hand and a pink ball of energy fell out of it, right on top of Hook.

"Aw beans."
Marcella cursed as her body also started to regress.

As his crew fell one by one however Silver got MAD.
"GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY MATES!"
He took out his sword and gun with the intent of battering the man named Z into a bloody pulp. Sea stone or not it can't sap his strength if he's not making direct contact with it. Using the blade of the sword and the butt of his rifle he began hammering away at the massive mechanical limb. If he can't break the prosthetic itself then he'll tear it off of him. But Z did not seem worried about it.

Using his other hand the man with the shades parried the stock of Parley and used the opening to grab Silver with the mechanical arm. The oversized limb made cranking and whirring noises before it released an explosion from its palm, where Silver was held. After being sent flying the mad pirate clenched his teeth, transformed into a bat to regain control over his own movements and made a dive towards Z with a kick.
"SILVER STYLE: SILVER SHOOTING-STAR!"

He Z's mechanical hand with such force the man started loosing ground a bit and Silver kept at it despite his rapidly waning strength. But just when it looked like the sliding Z was about to fall over an unforeseen development forced Silver to stop. The sound of a gun cocking and a threat could be heard.
"That's enough! Stand down or I blow his head off."

Will looked up with his swollen eye, ready to cry as he was being held hostage.
"I'm sorry bro..."

The doppelgänger grins at you as it introduces himself. His smug, almost mocking expression is pissing you off to no end.
"Hey stupid! You're not Silver! I'm Silver!"

"No dummy! I'm Silver! The one and only!"

"GRRRRR!"
"GRRRRR!"

You butt heads with the clone and glare right into his eye. The whole ordeal feels like looking into a twisted mirror. The chief warden seems to be quite satisfied by the results.
"Oooohohoho! I always liked this part! Though I can only copy one person at a time it is a perfect replica of the original, complete with every item on their person! And while I can't control them directly I don't have to! You see any being recreated by my clone clone fruit will have an overwhelming urge to find and destroy the original so it could take their place! Once a copy is created you are as good as dead! Nine times out of ten mutual destruction is unavoidable! That last ten percent could go a number of ways but they all end the same way! You could run away or attack me and the clone would chase you down. You could beat the odds and surpass your current self but then you'd be too exhausted to fight anymore! And finally if the clone beats you its urge will be fulfilled and it will be free to do as I say! And when that happens I'll have it kill the rest of your crew! My power is unbeatable!"

"Hey! I hear something annoying!"
"Hey! I hear something annoying!"

"Yeah. Me too."
"Yeah. Me too."

"Let's get rid of it! It has no place here!"
"Let's get rid of it! It has no place here!"

You both simultaneously pull your heads back and throw an armament infused right hook which collide in the middle and cause streaks of black lightning to fly out from the point of contact. A second later like thunder an earthquake follows your clash and the island begins to tremble and the air roils. The chief warden can't hold her ground and falls over before rolling backwards from the powerful gusts of wind.
"Hnnnnng! Conquerors?! Why did it have to be a conqueror?"

The blast dies down and you go back to a neutral stance alongside the clone. This is... interesting. You despise the existence of this facsimile yet at the same time it's offering perhaps a once in a lifetime opportunity of kicking your own ass and by extension, a pretty grand time. The clone seems to be thinking the same as it cracks its knuckles in sync with you. But there is only one problem. The island itself and everyone on it.

Gotta watch out for the crew. Also the kids but mostly the crew.

Also depending on how smug this bitch gets during our fight we might be able to talk our clone into shanking her so we should probably keep that in mind.

"Sheesh. If only all these weenies were not in the way this could be so fun!"

"Oh?"
"Oh?"

"Kekeke!"
"Kekeke!"

One good thing about having a clone is that he's thinking exactly the same way you are, so there won't be any problems with that. Most likely he's also thinking about not using his devil fruit for now as to not completely wreck the whole island. Which is great. After exchanging a grin you both draw your sword and run forward. Jumping mid-way you do a spin kick at the same time and sync up so well you can jump off the other with a backflip and after landing you exchange a few more identical kicks before finally taking a swing with your swords. The clash is not really remarkable and does not produce any ground breaking phenomenon. But the fact that you are perfectly tied in terms of strength speaks volumes on its own.

"Heh. You're pretty good! For a weenie!"
"Heh. You're pretty good! For a weenie!"

"So whoever kills the other is obviously stronger and will be the better Silver!"

"Which will be me of course!"
"Which will be me of course!"

"DEAL!"
"DEAL!"

Meanwhile the chief warden is left speechless by this display.
"What is going on? How are they mirroring each other so perfectly? There is always at least a little discrepancy between the clone and the original! How can a person have such a one-track mind?!"

Ignoring the warden you look at your opponent with almost childlike glee. What better opportunity could you ask for to review yourself?

You coat your fists with armament and swing away. As expected the clone does the same and you begin exchanging blows. Despite developing clever ways of using it you always sucked with armament. Maybe by seeing yourself use it from an outside perspective you can pinpoint what you're doing wrong better. You both smack each other on the cheek and for the first time you feel what it's like to be on the receiving end of one of your punches. The iron hard knuckles digging in your face are one thing but having everything down to your very bonemarrow shaken with vibrations is quite hellish. Your ears start ringing and your vision goes blurry for a moment. At the very least he seems just as affected as you are. But there is one difference. Somehow he recovers just a fraction of a second faster.

"Gotcha!"
Grinning he leans forward for another attack. You try to parry him but he reads you like a book and dodges to the side. He starts weaving from left to right and unleashes a flurry of blows one after another as he's swinging from side to side. That split second was enough for him to create an opening and now he's not letting you escape. Finally after what feels like an eternity he runs out of steam so he decides to finish off his combo with a big one.
"Silver Style: Silver Voice!"

He a double punch to your gut and sends you flying into a nearby wall. Cracks start appearing on the stone formation until the whole thing crumbles on top of you. With several tons of rock on your back and a great gap in one of the islands layers you burst out from the rubble and try to recover while panting. How could he gain so much on you? The answer is simple. He brute forced his way through. By forcibly imbuing more haki into his fists they took on a slightly different sheen. The additional force provided by the reinforcements was just enough to give him a slightly longer window of opportunity, from which things escalated into that beatdown.

"Uuuuugh."
You groan as you crawl out of that pile.
"No good. That's no good. Can't you at least show me something interesting? Man. Marcella is right. I am stupid."

"Kekeke! What are you talking about? You're complaining after I kicked your butt? Man what a weenie!"

"Maybe. But you know the rules. It don't matter who beats down who. The winner is the one that stays alive in the end. And staying alive is what I'm good at!"

"Yeah. I am! And hopefully so is my impostor! I'll be pissed if I can't have my fun with you!"
>>
>>5315469
dice gods give and take.
>>
He puts up his hands and you do the same. But neither of you attack or even make a move. Instead you both stand there and your eyes glint red but you don't move. In your very mind you play out how the next couple of seconds will go based on what you sense with your observation. You'll lunge at him and he'll do the same, both of you will narrowly miss each other after which you'd resort to kicking each other in the shin. For half a minute you'd continue this with no clear winner in sight until eventually-
"Oh crap."
You'd slip up.

"Kek! I win again!"

"Yeah yeah, just get it over with."
You put down your guard and let him deck in your face to save time.

After that smack you feel immensely frustrated and start hammering the ground with your fists. You're so evenly matched that the initial defeat may have irreversibly tipped things in his favor. That's the only reason he won this latest bout as well. It could be so easy to match him. But that'd require you to dump more haki into your attacks. And if both of you started doing that you'd enter into an arms race that'd result in both of you fizzling out in an instant. That's not good. It's something you could do before and didn't. You need something new and interesting!
"Bah! This is pointless!"

"Ready to give up?"

"You wish! I'm just not gonna bother playing along with you anymore!"

"Done playing? Yeah! I guess I am!"

He draws his copy of Argent and imbues it with armament before slashing away. The blade hits you square in the chest but thankfully it did not slice you in two. Your own willpower protected your tender flesh, hardening it to the likeness of steel. But it still felt like someone just smashed your chest in with a hammer. As sparks fly off the blade and air escapes your lungs however you can't help but smirk. That exchange finally revealed something... interesting to you. It's just a minute difference but it's there. Your own reinforcements managed to hold him off even though you did not use any more of it than before. Maybe he's just getting tired but the fight hasn't gone on long enough for that. No, it feels more like this difference was always there. As if using armament to defend rather than attack is somehow more efficient.

As you slide back you think about contemplating this a bit but now's not the time. And since it's unlikely that you'll discern anything more from this conflict you decide it's time to finish this.
"S-Silver!"

Nutmegs voice echoes from behind the clone.
"Huh?!"

He turns around in disbelief as he somehow completely missed Nutmegs presence.
"Made you look!"

Quickly you draw Parley and shoot him in the back. He glares back at you with blood red eyes.
"Y-You! Cheater!"

"Cheater you say? There is no fair fight between pirates! If you fell for me throwing my voice it's your fault!"

He gets visibly mad and raises Argent high which prompts you to raise it for a guard.
"SILVER STYLE: FLASHING BLADE HARMONY!"
"SILVER STYLE: FLASHING BLADE HARMONY!"

The blade of his sword turns black while you focus on your legs and arms with your will, locking them in place to make them more like an immovable statue. The two blades vibrate so fast they refract light and the cave is illuminated in a way it probably never has been. Your theory is proven correct more and more as he's struggling to overcome your defense despite pumping more and more haki into the clash while all you need to commit is more stamina to match him. That minimal amount of armament is plenty enough.
"I just came up with that move! Stop copying me!"

"Maybe. But I came up with it better!"
>>
If you were in his shoe right about now you'd probably stop the futile attack and take to the skies. In sync with him you do just that and both of you prepare for a powerful downward kick.
"Silver Style: Silver Starfall!"
"Silver Style: Silver Starfall!"

You both make your descent and get ready to clash mid-air but at the last moment you transform into a tiny bat and fly out of the way, making him shoot towards the ground. His frustration makes him susceptible for your trickery, which only serves to piss him off even further. Especially when you fire on him again. He dodges this bullet and once you do land he runs up at you.
"I had enough! Silver Voi-"

As he's about to unleash a big attack you turn around and show your back to him. He does not know what you're planning and neither does he when you jump backwards. But once he touches your back he realizes that he made a grave mistake as you take Argent and impale yourself through the stomach, and him through the heart. Blood gushes forth from his chest and drenches you.
"H-How?"

"You don't get it. Do you? She said you live to kill me and take my place. So I guess it never occurred to you to do a suicide attack. Sorry I had to do it to you. But I know how stubborn I am. I refuse to die unless it's instant."

He coughs up more blood and begins to chuckle.
"Ke-ke-ke. No worries. I guess you were more Silver than I was. Say... which one of us was the clone again?"

"Does it matter?"

"No. I guess not. But... if you are the clone. And after all that you still obey that weenie... I'm coming back to kick your butt."

"I won't."

"C-Cool."

His heart beats for the last time and he closes his eyes with a smile on his face. A couple moments pass and his whole body turns into a thick black goop that falls apart on its own. It looks like nothing can beat the original. You pull Argent out of your gut and clean it off before turning around to look at the chief warden and pointing your sword at her.
"You next."
>>

>>
The woman takes a few steps back, a bead of sweat rolls down her forehead. Judging by how detailed her description of her devil fruit abilities and their results were she was quite confident in its capabilities. The fact that this was not among them must be disturbing her quite a bit. But even though you have her against a wall she's not looking defeated. Far from it. Her eyes are focused on you and she's barely blinking at all. She must be examining the extent of the damage you sustained, which to be fair is still substantial considering. Roughhousing with you is a dangerous thing at the best of times, not to mention the self inflicted wound you gave yourself with Argent. But you are still the most Silver a person can get. And thus you are still very much ready to fight.

She smirks.
"Alright! Got to hand it to ya pirate, you're pretty tough! But-"
She taps her own chest.
"You're not invincible!"

Her shadow begins to bubble as a clone burst out from it. It begins to speak as well.
"Sooner or later you will die if I just hit you enough!"
The clone too slaps its own chest and to your shock another one springs forth from its own shadow.

"Oh? Did I forget to mention that if I clone myself I'm fully in control of it?"
That clone also multiplies.

"And that each clone also possesses my ability?"
And again.

"Now! Let's do an endurance run! And see how long you'll last! PIRATE!"
"Now! Let's do an endurance run! And see how long you'll last! PIRATE!"
"Now! Let's do an endurance run! And see how long you'll last! PIRATE!"

The echo in her voice gets stronger and stronger with each successive clone. And each new one immediately creates an identical copy of itself. The cycle then repeats with seemingly no end until you are face to face with hundreds of the chief wardens copies.
"WELL? HOW ABOUT THAT?!"
"WELL? HOW ABOUT THAT?!"
"WELL? HOW ABOUT THAT?!"
"WELL? HOW ABOUT THAT?!"

Have a think about it, we need to figure out exactly who is responsible for this whole thing. Silver said so himself! Everyone needs to go, everyone. And the warden here could tell us exactly who and where everyone is, and then we can. Wait for it.
Rampage!

Also I do wonder if she can clone bullets, or if she never thought that far.
>>
>>5325437
Would she even know though? Like the first rule of black ops is not letting people know who's giving the orders, so besides "common knowledge" of Du feld and Drug Pelco she might not even know who signs her damn paychecks.

She doesn't strike me as the type of person to even ask to begin with, provided the numbers are big enough.

like her fruit is nice and all, it pretty much gets us a free army, but exactly because of that i don't think spook would ever let us have it, like with how its shown im pretty much just seeing it as twices power from MHA and thats OP as shit so i think somehow or someway if we captured her she'd escape and probably become a lieutenant to someone we'd fight later

>>
>>5325463
Because its an ability we do have, like it'd be bad writing if it just got used once and then never brought up ever again, it'd make the ability just a thing that was created as an excuse for us to steal a fruit, lie most bad anime that have a character whip out an ability only once then never have it be used again even if it would be useful, it needs to atleast be considered and talked about

>>
Kicking your feet back and forth you contemplate what to do about her until she finally has enough of you and starts charging. Moments before the tidalwave of flesh overwhelms you she begins taunting you.
"You think you can just turn your back to me like that? Well do you?! I don't care how high your bounty is nobody can withstand me after facing their own copy! DIE!"

"Dumbass."
You begin to turn and midway through transform into your hybrid form. Using your massive wingspan you scoop up the chief wardens copies and keep swiping until you managed to gather all of them into a handy little ball which you hurl against a wall. The mass of bodies explodes and the wardens scatter. When they manage to get back to their senses and figure out what just happened their jaws drop.

"W-What? Where did that come from?! And why did the clone not use it?!"

"Because dumbass, I don't want my friends to get hurt. And if we used all our strength this island with them on it would be gone. So we didn't. But a weakling like you won't cause that issue. So I'm free to fight as I please. Now-"
You wind up your fist.
"Prepare yourself."

"Heh."
She smirks. And through that smirk you can practically hear her thoughts alongside a pair of footsteps rapidly getting away. She's calling you an idiot in her mind and intends to use her awakened ability to live on as the escaped clone. Realizing that you quickly turn and point with your wing in the direction of the steps. A beam of sound fires from one of your wingtips immediately killing the copy.
"WHAT?!"

"I said get ready. Not run away. You'll regret that. TYRANT-"
Clenching that wing back into a fist you ignite it and punch forward.
"-SCREAM!"
Punching the original one into the inner wall of the circle you unleash a jet of flame that if they were still present would've incinerated her copies. But this way all it does is make sure that nothing is left of the chief warden but a memory and it melts a great chunk of the wall in front of you into slag.
"Sigh. I hate dealing with weenies."
>>
After witnessing a giant pillar of light and being hit by the heat of your attack several of the prisoners approach the area in a terrified horde. They look at the scene you left with you hovering above a pile of molten rock and they despair.
"W-What's going on?"

"I'm taking over the island. If you want to you can pick up arms and fight with me. Or just sit there and wait until I get to dealing with you. Sound good?"

Not waiting for their answer you fly forward into the next layer of the prison in search of your comrades. It doesn't take too long, not with the fight escalating to the point that the participants are making parts of the island quake with their fight. You find Jaws struggling against his opponent as the crab guy you beat the crap out of clearly managed to bloody him a bit. He hits the wall after a strong punch and he reaches for the side of his head which is bleeding profusely.
"Damn. Not again!"

"Oy Jaws! Need some help?"

"O-Oh. Captain. This is embarrassing. Thanks for the offer but I'm doing fine. I'm just a little-"

"Hmph. So you're finally here. About time you showed up. Help me dispose of this freakin' fish at once!"
The crab guy starts ordering you around which confuses Murray immensely. He seems to be thinking that you are a clone. After that he turns back to taunt Murray further.
"Well, looks like it's all over for you! I would've loved to filet you myself but business comes first!"

"The hell is this guy talking about Silver?"

>"Okay Jaws. I leave this guy to you. Kick his ass!"
>"You're looking kinda beat up. Mind if I help anyway?"
>Go along with the crab guy and blindside him
>Other?
>>
>>5325537
>>Other?
>"Not a clone, killed him. Killed your boss too actually. Gonna kill you next if Jaws doesn't mind."
>If Jaws doesn't actually mind crush the fucker. If he does then sit back and root for your best mate.
>>
>>5325537
"The hell is this guy talking about Silver?"
>Kekeke, he thinks his boss is still alive

>"Okay Jaws. I leave this guy to you. Kick his ass!"
Now the question is: do we stay to cheer him on or go looking for Dexter/Clown or Ann?
We've stolen Murray's spotlight a few times so I'm a little torn
>>
>>5325537
>Yo jaws you want to tag team him to hurry this up or you want to finish this up solo?

gotta let the homie decide can't just come in and interrupt his own fight without permission, we're not some uncivilized brute, and the written out option just looks a tad close to making it sound like we think jaws might lose here
>>
>>5325537
>>"Okay Jaws. I leave this guy to you. Kick his ass!"
>"BTW your boss was a weenie!"

That means it's time for Silver to move on

You smile.
"He thinks his boss is still alive!"

"WHAT?! That's impossible!"

"Oh. I see."

"Kekeke! So anyway do you want to double team this guy?"

"Actually Silver I want to take him down on my own. It's personal."

"Oh? Okay! Have fun then! I'll go see how the others are doing! But make sure to clean up! I want this island gone!"

"Understood."
Murray readies his anchor as you fly away.

"Shakokokoko! You really are as stupid as a fish! If that brat stayed you may have had a chance. But now I'll just continue bashing your skull in like I've been doing all this time! Then I'll move on and get the fuck out of here. This pay is not worth dying for."

"The only way you're leaving is in a bodybag. But before I kill you I must say... I endured many hardships, suffered a great humiliations time and time again, got exiled from my home and was called a freak by friends, foe and family alike. But your ugly mug is the first thing that actually made me reconsider my stance on wanting to make children with human women."

Warden Stoma glares at Murray for a moment and then explodes with great fury which propels him forward. Using both of his big claws he opens them wide, collects a decent amount of moisture between them and clamps them down right in front of Murrays face.
"Alpheidae Cannon!"
The blast sends Murray through two walls, propelling him way out of the island and into the sea. Confident that he just murdered the fish-man the crab-man adjusts his hat and grumbles.
"That'll teach you mother fucker..."

Stoma takes a cigarette out of his pockets and attempts lighting it with his overly large claws which he fails to do. But as he keeps trying to get his lighter to work he notices a shadow looming over him. He turns around and looks up only for the cigarette to fall from his mouth. What looks like a gargantuan and translucent sea king capable of biting a big chunk out of the island has emerged from the waters and is now blocking out the moon. In the middle of its head the outlines of a fish-man can be made out.
"Body. Meet bag. Fish-man Jujutsu Secret Technique: Kaiō-rui no Tenka!"
With a great hurl Murray throws the great mass of water on the half-fishman. The only thing that was left of him after that was a ship sized hole that went much deeper than the deepest point of the mines. So deep that it appeared bottomless.
"Phew. I need a drink..."

After hearing and seeing a lot of water being splashed around you decide to keep moving because you're probably not gonna find anything there if you go back to check it out. Flying over to the third layer you spot something that catches your attention rather quick. Swooping down you approach the subject of your fascination and call out to him.
"Hey Dexter!"

"AH! You scared me-me brother! Do not-not do that again please!"

"What are you doing here? And where are the kids?"

"Oh. Brother please promise you won't be mad-angry with me-me if I tell you!"

"What did you do?"

"Nothing! But your female human-thing left! Me-me dug through two falls following her!"

"What? Who? Clown?"

"Yes-yes!"

"And the kids? What happened to them?"

"Left them with other human-things. Me thought they'd be safe-better with other human-things. No-no run in front of flamethrower by accident!"

"And why did you have to dig? Why not follow her the same way she went?"

"Because me-me can not fly. But worry not brother-friend! Me-me has a good-good nose! Me-me find her in a jiffy and bring her back!"

>Okay I trust you. Just keep her safe okay?

"Hmmmm no. I'll go with you. This sounds important. Do you know why she left?"

"No-no brother. When me-me asked her she just said "shut your mouth foul mink". Me thinks she's angry with me-me."

"That doesn't sound like her."

"No offense brother-friend but that sounds just like her-her."

You shake your head.
"No. But anyway we can think about that later. Now can you show me the way she went? And uh... did you say she can fly?"

"Yes-yes!"

"Okay. Then we'll follow her through the air! Hold on."

You transform into your hybrid state and lift Dexter up by his shoulders and have him point you in the right direction using his nose. You fly over a few more rings until you reach the innermost one. With the minks help you have no trouble locating her and you find Pepe standing near the very middle of the place in what looks like a crater at first glance but it's simply the most deeply dug part of the mine. She's talking with who appears to be a prisoner but something's off about him. The robust, dark skinned man is unlike all the other prisoners you've seen here. He's neither malnourished nor does he look like his spirit has been broken. Likely the only thing they did to him on this island is shave his blonde hair. In fact just from a glance you can tell that he is strong. Strong enough that he likely could've killed one of the wardens on his own, just not all of them.
"I appreciate the assist."
He spoke as he rubbed his newly freed wrists.

"Spare the gratitude Saturn. It's pure coincidence that I'm here. And were it not for the current circumstances you'd executed for your failure. So you follow my orders now. Understood."

"I'm aware and I understand. What is needed of me?"

Pepe looks up at you.
"That."

"Oh? Am I to die then?"

"Not yet."

You land before them after setting down Dexter and walk up to Pepe.
"Hey Clown! Friend of yours?"

The black man remains expressionless.
"Ah. Now I understand."

"I'm glad we are on the same page. Now hold it..."

"What's going on Clown? And more importantly why did you leave Dexter? If you wanted to free your buddy you could've just asked me."

She smirks.
"I'm afraid not. Because our partnership is about to come to an end. Captain..."
She speaks in a mocking tone and she's visibly disgusted just by saying that word.

You want to speak up and ask her what she means but when you take a deep breath to make a sound you suddenly feel light headed. Smirking Clown takes out two masks from behind her and hands one over to her friend before donning her own. With a simple sleight of hand trick she pulls out one of the dials you gave her. A breath dial to be specific.

"C-Clown-"
You clutch your throat and gasp for air as much as you can.
"You-"

But as you're gasping the black man uses Soru without a shadow of a doubt to get behind you.
"Rankyaku."
He kicks you with a storm kick in the achilles tendon. It hurts like hell but thankfully doesn't sever it. But it does make your legs buckle under the pressure which gives Pepe the opening she needs.

After a running start she vaults over you and wraps a belt around your neck like a scarf. She pulls on it tight and your neck gets torn open by what feels like several razor blades. The axe dials.
"Saturn! Continue! Do not stop until he's dead!"

"Understood."

He quickly circles around you, kneeing you in the liver before opening his right hand and forming hooks with his fingers.
"Shigan Ripper."

With a palm thrust he pushes his five fingers between your ribs and grabs your heart. Squeezing down hard he crushes your sternum and attempts to do the same to your heart. Blood shoots up your throat, out of your mouth and onto his face. The shock coupled with the choking air is too much and you pass out as he rips his hand out of your chest. Falling onto the ground and with your consciousness fading you overhear the two of them talking but only barely. The black man looks at his fingers, several of which are dislocated. He pops them back in place as he addresses Clown.

"He has an unusually tough body structure."

"Correct. And he reflexively reinforces his internal organs in response to physical trauma. Even if you manage to deal lasting damage he has an outrageous amount of stamina. Only valid option for assassination is immediate death."

"Roger."
Saturn moves in to snap your neck but he gets stopped by a very angry vermin wearing a gasmask of his own and unleashing a torrent of green flame. He manages to get back by using Soru but his prisoner garbs have been singed by it.
"Looks like we got a complication."

"It's just a beast. I'll remove it."

"Y-You will not lay a hand on my brother-friend! Even if you are his mate me will scorch-burn you to death-death!"
>>
>>5325773
On one hand, it still hurts to see Clown betray us even if we saw it coming.

On the other, best rat friend is an obvious superior upgrade and it feels good to see him immediately defend Silver's life.
>>
>>5325778
He's definitely a trade-up. Also if we didn't follow him Clown might have killed him, which would suck hard.
>>
So are we all in agreement clown dies? anyone gonna argue to try and "redeem" her or bring her to our side properly? cause like while i could maybe see silver forgiving just for hurting him but shes about to hurt our rat buddy and our crew would never forgive her for hurting us in the first place
>>
>>5325786
Of course. I do think Silver would demand to know why before he kills her though since I imagine that being betrayed is a very unbeliavable concept to him.
>>
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
Silver is not going to take this well...At all.
Good luck Pepe le Clown. You, and a lot of others, are gonna need it.

Also >He's unusually tough
Yes, didn't you notice the gaping, bleeding, sword wound you could see straight through?

>>5325786
This doesn't happen in Silver's world, quite literally unthinkable. I don't know, and I wouldn't set anything in stone right now... How we deal with this is gonna be a big deal.
>>
>>5325786
>>5325788
Being betrayed by a crewmember I mean. They're the thing he values most, his family.

>>5325789

i just can't see the crew doing anything except killing her, and if she hurts someone we like it'd be the same for us, i just genuinely cannot see any world where she survives and manages to join the crew properly
>>
>>5325786
I'd argue less redeem and more just, brutal beating maybe? To coin a phrase "there's one in every family" and Silver genuinely seemed to like her. At least enough not to cave her skull in at any rate.

That being said if a vote to kill her wins I personally wouldn't lose sleep over it, though it might fuck with Silver a tad.

"Do you really think you can stop us? Heh. You are nothing more than a dirty, stinking rat with a lighter."

Pepe approaches Dexter without any worries even as the mink points his flamethrower directly at her. She's confident enough in her speed to not fear him. And though nervous he may be Dexter is still willing to protect you no matter what it takes. But lucky for him he doesn't have to do that as a great wave washes over and pushes back both of them. Dexter is unable to stand his ground an begins rolling away while Pepe and Saturn manage to hold their footing but they can't exactly advance towards you.
"What's this?!"

"H-His conquerors haki? But he's unconscious!"

"Instinctive release? Is he that advanced?"

"NO!"

"It's blowing away the gas. We must assassinate him now!"

"Tch. Negative! We must fall back. I'll call for a rescue ship."

"Since when does Cipher Pol Aegis Zero retreat?"

"We got what we need. We must secure the intel! The entire crew must be feeling this! If we get surrounded by them our chances of success will plummet to zero! His crew is full of dangerous individuals, multiple of which are devil fruit users. Don't worry. They'll surely chase after us!"

The two of them with no other choice left fled the scene leaving you lying in a puddle of your own blood slowly drifting away with only a rat to keep you company.

RIP. Man what a terrible no good day for Silver and crew, even if they picked up a rat bro to make up for it.

It's gonna be interesting to see how Silver handles the concept of a family member utterly betraying them all in his world view.
>>
>>5325793
Yeah but do you think the crew would accept that? like as i said i could see silver letting it slide but the crew would never accept it
>>
>>5325794
>We got what we need. We must secure the intel!
Intel? What the fuck do they think they have on us?

Like real talk everything about Silver is, if not common knowledge, one Big News Morgan paper away from knowing.

Everyone he cares about is either wanted or royalty, his weaknesses, if they can be called that, aren't hidden because he's not bitch made, and his literal house is right next door to the cops and he still runs a goddamn crack den/brothel, while advertising to the fucking cops.

What the hell does she think she's gotten out of us?

Thanks for running boss

>>5325800
Motives maybe? try and get a psyche profile on us and what we actually want to achieve in life and plans for how we'd do it, but yeah overall this mission seems very stupid on their part
>>
>>5325800
Well how often has Silver explained his way of thinking- of living- to Clown? As funny as it is to meme how crazy and incomprehensible Silver is to everyone else, it's getting really stale. Gaining a semi-solid psych profile on the mad lad is the logical next step from the Marine's perspective.
>>
>>5325800
What about the defenses of our home.
>>
>>5325799
No, none of them would. They'd tear her apart on principle.
As might Mary, lets not forget, last I remember her plan if you can call it that was to kill everyone we like. She'l probably react just as poorly, if not more so, to the news of someone else hurting *her* fucking target.

>>5325796
Thanks for running Spooks, I'm sad now.

>>5325800
Intel? What the fuck do they think they have on us?
"I'mma gonna conquer the world because I can"
>>
>>5325803
>>5325805
Once again though, Outer Heaven is open to everyone and Silver crows his life philosophy to the rooftops whenever the mood strikes him or whenever some idiot tries their luck and gets strapped to a cannon or keelhauled for their idiocy.

She could have literally walked up and asked him and he would have told her with all the conviction of a southern Jehovah's Witness being let inside your house.
>>
overall got to admit just have never been a fan of the clown plotline, like we joke but the fact it was so obvious just kinda killed the entire thing for me straight from the start as it just kinda dragged til the inevitable betrayal
>>
>>5325807
Marines visit on the regular to get fucked up, their dick sucked and/or fuck Okama. They could walk around and make a goddamn map.

>>
>>5325810
I like it.
It is inevitable that someone, at some point, decides to use Silver's trust and family issues against him and I've been really impressed with everyone for playing along as Silver would have rather then shouting "Shes a fed, get'er!"

And the aftermath is going to be all kinds of spicy with a crumbling understanding of the world, emotions, drama... Good shit all around.
>>
>>5325810
I could've made it subtle as fuck
But when dealing with anons you must chose between making it glaringly obvious or they won't realize it
In this case I wanted it to be known because I didn't want it to come across as an asspull
>>
>>5325815
oh yeah don't get me wrong i think a betrayal arc is nice especially for a character like silver, but with clown it was just so blatantly obvious, like idk if spook decided make it so obvious right from the start to stem any salt from the inevitable betrayal but to me it just took any kind of punch out of the entire plot
>>
>>5325810
I think it's fine because im not in it for plot twists. To me, the real thing has only just begun because what I'll find interesting is the answers to these questions:
1. How is Silver going to deal with this betrayal?
2. How is the rest of the crew going to deal with this betrayal?
3. What are Pepe's motivations?
4. What were her real thoughts and feelings when she was in the crew?
5. How will the inevitable confrontation go down?
6. What lessons, if any, will Silver take from this?
>>
>>5325821
I preferred it to be honest. It made it fun to play Silver IC and just let Clown be Clown.

I mean subtlety is all well and good but Silver didn't need an Aizen to be "fooled."
>>
>>5325821
i suppose, but like it was almost comedic how obvious it was, like she may aswell have had an evil mustache that she twirled and silver always coming across her making reports that then has her go "o-oh im not reporting to my boss the world goverment or anything like that hahahahah" like it was so comedically obviously it completely snuffed out any potential drama the plotline had potential for
>>
>>5325833
I think you had the wrong expectations thrn
Like I said, it wasn't meant to be a mystery. It was a tease
>>
>>5325833
yeah with more thought i think its the fact it was comedic more than it was obvious, like if there was an omake of clown making a report at the very end of the thread she was introduced don't think i'd have disliked it so much, and that'd still have achieved the same effect, its just to me every scene with her was practically comedic, so the entire character in my head has been tinted as a comedy joke
>>
>>5325833

"Why is the clown funny!? I don't get it, the clown is not supposed to make me laugh! Clowns are serious business dammit!"
>>
>>5325827
I think I can take a rough stab at some of those. Silver, for all his faults, genuinely thought Pepe was family, only for it to turn out Pepe wasn't family but was only "pretending" to be family when her actual family was the Marines.

Silver would, sort of, understand that but I'd think the idea in and of itself would disgust him at an almost visceral level.

It's like, some people are really into nasty shit, but Silver isn't.

Basically I'm saying Silver's gonna look at Pepe the same way someone really into a church would look at the lady that says she does donkey shows for 12 dollars.
>>
At least on the bright side this means we can maybe eventually possibly get buggy as our next clown (if we don't forsake clowns all together and decide to just get a normal musician).

I'm going to be disappointed if Pepe isn't the epilogue/interlude. It would be nice to see her perspective/feeling about silver.

I think I've figured it out, remember the conversation that Silver had with Nico Robin on Outer Heaven and the one with Nutmeg on the ship right before he fought Ivankov? If it's anything, It's most likely the fact that Silver can read Poneglyphs. That is the most extremely valuable intel that relates to him and Pepe was present in both occasions in which it was mentioned.
>>
>>5326140
> It's most likely the fact that Silver can read Poneglyphs.

Well one more thing to add to the pile of reasons the World Government wants us dead I guess? Gonna have to step up our War Crime game then,
>>
>>5326140
Yea that is probably it.
"Yea so he can read Poneglyphs, and is planning on conquering the world by killing anything and everyone in his path" might get their knickers in a twist.
On the other hand: Fuck you rest of the "worst" generation, Silver's getting a bigger bounty!

Nevermind all of the shit we actually do.
>>
The one thing I want to keep in mind when we vote on how to handle Clown, is that we don't end up turning into Mary.

Not to say we shouldn't kill her, she's absolutely dead to us and our family. I just don't want to go fanatical "hunt the bitch down" mode about it.

West Blue Seadogs Z
Chapter 3

"Sorry bro-"

Will is almost crying as he's being held at gunpoint from the shame. Whoever these guys are they clearly have no idea who they are messing with. Taking a good look at the girl Silver let her feel the full, unrestrained volume of his haki. The wave manages to almost blow her away, at which point she looks just about ready to pull the trigger.
"Ain! Wait."
Z spoke up.
"Let him go."

"But sensei-"

"Do it!"
Reluctantly the girl pushes William away so hard he lands on all fours.
"Now Binz! Give me a stone!"

"Mosa-Mosa!"
The pink ninja does his little dance and a great vine sprouts from their submarine which tosses a pinkish looking container to the man with the metal hand. Z grins as he starts gripping on the canister, which makes his two subordinates immediately retreat back to their vessel.

"Sorry pirate! I would've loved to have fun with you. But I'm a busy man. So instead I'll see you in Hell!"
As the glass shatters and the liquid inside escapes the sea stone hand of Z begins to whirr before firing the pink orb high in the air. Before any of the Silvers realized what's going on or before they could stop him Z also jumped in the submarine which quickly retreated beneath the waves. A second later the orb that he fired in the air begins reacting with the air violently as pink bursts of light appear in the clear sky just before the whole thing massively detonates.

Their ship was engulfed in an inferno, the likes of which they've never seen. The boards creaked, splintered and started breaking. Instead of burning the glass fiber sails started to melt and it was feared that the crew would be reduced to nothing but ash save for one or two lucky individuals. Thankfully the wave of fire also burnt the vines and plants that constricted them to a crisp, allowing Murray to break free of his bindings and dive underwater.

"Fish-man Jujutsu: Aokora!"

Twisting the very sea itself he wrapped the Dauntless in a shell of pure water that extinguished whatever flames besieged it and blocked the brunt of the blastwave. After fishing out the devil fruit users of the group and taking them to safety the crew could catch their breath and begin assessing the situation as well as immediate repairs.
"What in blazes was that?! That explosion could almost wipe out an entire island?!"
Murray gasped.

"Cough cough. That... was too much. Thanks for saving us Mister Murray."

"HNNNNNNNG! HOW DARE HE?! Look at what they did to you! My beautiful ship!"
Silver cried as he began caressing the main mast of the Dauntless.
"I'LL KILL HIM!"
>>
But kill him he didn't. For the extensive damage had to be repaired if they wanted to move anywhere. And despite the prodigious hands of the seamstress Ann, the shipwright Greki and Hagetakas ability it took them quite some time before they could set sails. By that time the trail of Z has gone quite cold. They were sailing for hours in a vain effort to locate their newfound enemy. And only through sheer luck did they manage to find him.

"GUYS! You got to see this!"
Will jumped down from the crows nest to alert everyone to what he found.
"Look! Sails by the starboard bow! And they all have Z's jolly roger!"

Indeed they had. A small naval force was gathering around an unremarkable island. Though what they were up to was a mystery. It looked like they were simply just waiting for something. But they were Z's men, no questions about that. Though few and far between they had the same modified pacifistae that Z had in his retinue. And these "pirates" carried themselves in the same, orderly manner as his two goons. Though they didn't look the part it was obvious who or what they were.

"Marines... I hate marines."
Silver smashed his fists together with glee.
"Let's go mess 'em up!"

Not wasting any time the Silvers assaulted Z's forces. Only a skeleton crew remained on the ship with Murray at the helm and Marcella manning the cannons. Everyone else jumped on a vessel and went on a rampage. Once their chosen target felt like it was done for they jumped to a neighboring one. This went on until-
"What the-"

An ominous feeling washed over Silver who looked towards the island. His eyes widened as a familiar pink glint could be seen coming from the dry land, followed by a gargantuan explosion that most likely could be felt all across the world, if only a little. The skies blackened from the ash and dust that was blown in the air and the seas were illuminated by a towering pillar of molten lava that shot to the skies unceasing. A great flow of superheated ash, dust and rocks roiled over the sea followed closely by an encroaching layer of lava threatening to consume all that the wave did not destroy.

"EVERYONE! GET BACK TO THE SHIP!"
Silver ordered his men to retreat and they all hurried back to the Dauntless so they could take off and fly away. The ships wings carried them high up as it rode the currents of hot air. Looking down they watched as many of these strange marines simply stood there and embraced their impending doom with an eerie calmness.

"What the hell is happening?"
They all wondered to themselves.

Surrounded by a profound darkness a certain numbness overtakes you. Due to the injuries you sustained as well as the lack of air your body has entered some sort of hibernation. Bloodflow, breathing and everything else necessary for maintaining life functions have slowed down to a crawl. In this state it can seldom heal on its own but it may buy you enough time until things calm down a bit. The first thing that manages to reach you in this state are the words of one worried rodent.

"N-Nyeh! Maybe acid to the skin-face will help!"

You are rudely awakened by the sensation of water splashing on your face. With a loud gasp and several coughs you manage to get back to your senses and already you feel blood gushing out of your throat. Quickly you apply pressure to your neck as with each beat of your heart blood spurts from the wounds on it. Thankfully the dials though damaging were weak enough to not cut too deep with those jets of compressed air. It still hurts like hell though. But not as much as your leg and chest do. Thankfully it seems like someone managed to plug that hole in your torso with what appears to be a handful of moss.

"Brother-friend! You alive-live! Dexter is not alone again!"

"Uuuugh."
You groan as you stand up.

"Friend-friend! You should sit-rest! You are hurt-hurt!"

"Where are they?"

"Myeh the cur-cowards ran-ran before me-me could show them a thing or two!"
The rat puffs his chest proudly.

"I see."

You reach for your ribs. They hurt something fierce. After rummaging around your pockets for a bit you pop in the condensed pill of Second Wind and feel your body swelling with energy, which it quickly puts to use. With a bit of force from you holding things in place and the help of the medicine you can feel your body slowly putting itself back together. But your chest still hurts. Taking a deep breath you shout so loud that it travels everywhere on the island.
"EVERYONE! FINISH IT! THAT'S AN ORDER!"

After a little bit of time (about as much as one would need to give their opponent a final monologue) explosions can be heard coming from all over the place. A few minutes later your friends start arriving one by one, wondering what the hell happened to you. Until the last one of them gets here you refuse to say a word to any of them.
"So care to explain what the hell happened to you?"

"It's Clown. She was a Cipher Pol agent. She wanted us to mess up the place so she could bust out one of her friends."

"WHAT?!"
"WHAT?!"
"WHAT?!"

"I knew something was off with her but this? Cipher Pol?"
Murray scratches his head.

"WELL? What are we waiting for? Let's find that fucking clown and pull her guts out through her mouth like colorful ribbons!"
Marcella is raring to go and get violent.

"A-Absolutely not! Silver is heavily injured! He needs to rest!"
Lyda protests.

Last time someone really hit back against Silver Mary Geoise happened but at the same time, he has never been betrayed like this before.

So It's either

Supporting.

Dexter's cooler than Clown anyway and he isn't a disgusting traitor.

We rested first and then did that so us taking a breather and getting our head right is a must. Also we should see if Stiches can make an vaccine to that gas.

"Fool me once shame on me, try that again and I'll fuck you to death with your kidneys on a stick" and all that.

I think introducing Dexter is the furthest thing from Silver's mind right now.

>>5330119
Yeah he rested, but he said from the beggining that his recovery was just the calm before the storm. In this case, I think "I just want to rest" is more him being in shock than preparing to bring hell upon the earth again.
>>
>>5330105

While it would be fun to go full murderdethkill, I like the idea of Silver just not knowing how to deal with this more, seems like a lot more opportunity for growth and drama.

As seen with Mary, the way Silver deals with
familial emotional baggage is avoidance.
Also, what happened to freeing this island, are we just gonna leave everyone here to go after Pepe?
>>
>>5330157
>As seen with Mary, the way Silver deals with

Only Mary considered Silver family, not the other way around. The reason he avoids her is because she reminds him of his time in the island not because she is "family".

>Also, what happened to freeing this island, are we just gonna leave everyone here to go after Pepe?
I'd think that it would be done by his crew while he's resting.
>>
>>5330157
thing with mary is that wasn't really a betrayal, like with mary i think its a different situation entirely, like silver obviously doesn't count her as one of his "masters" since he would have atleast tried to kill her by now but shes still a reminder of a time in his life he very much wants to forget and move away from, but this is different, the clown used him and the rest of the crew and then bckstabbed us and left, i think silver is partially gonna be confused and want to know why, since from his perspective she had it pretty good, but don't see a future confrontation ending any other way than silver enraged and furious
>>
>>5330163
>Only Mary considered Silver family, not the other way around
Is that it tho? do you think emotions are just that clear cut? abused people can hate their abusers and still be too forgiving of them
>I'd think that it would be done by his crew while he's resting.
By that time the trail willl be ice cold, I think we have to admit once again that we can't have it all
>>
>>5330157
It's not really that, we were happy to speak to Marys' father when he popped over for a visit and begged us to kill him instead.

Silver is afraid of what he used to be, utterly terrified of it and going back to that state of being. Mary was with him every step of the way there and so is the living, breathing, reminder of what used to be. But he understands it, just as he understood Borsalino almost killing him and burning the dragons.

This tho... I don't think he understands what just happened. I don't think being betrayed by a crewmember was even a possibility.
This is from a guy who hears voices constantly and accepts a talking giant rat, or the entirety of Tot Land, as perfectly normal.
I think this simply blindsided him utterly and absolutely.
>>
>>5330172
>Is that it tho? do you think emotions are just that clear cut? abused people can hate their abusers and still be too forgiving of them
Yes, it absolutely is. Do you not remember this speech he made to her?

“When you played with me, I got beat up. When I resisted, I got beat up. Do you really think I enjoyed that? Shut up, do nothing, ignore the pain that comes later. After a while I didn’t even realize you took me away, time just passed. I had a family once and I lost it. But I don’t even remember that anymore. I only got a new family after I set to sea. After I broke my chains. And you want to drag me back and collar me. I’d be more comfortable in the gallows!”

“How could you say that to me?! I WAS THE ONLY ONE NICE TO YOU! And you were the only friend I ever had! Does that mean nothing to you?!”

“Not really. You were not nice. You were ambivalent. The only one that was nice to me was the pirate that taught me how to break free. I got more from her in a few days than from you in years. All I feel from you is fear. Because my back hurts every time I look at you.”

>By that time the trail willl be ice cold, I think we have to admit once again that we can't have it all
That doesn't matter. The point is that when someone fucks with Silver, he WILL go after them no matter what. And that applies to this situation even more so.
>>
>>5330172
thing is, while silver probably like to give a slight helping hand to the slaves with the master dead like he did the mariejois slaves, he's also been shown to be fully alright leaving them to their own devices once freed, like with ivankov, didn't exactly go and give those guys a quick check-up after we scared ivankov off, and while you could argue thats because they were dicks i think its also just a sign of silver thinking it his self imposed duty to free them, after they're free they're just the same as any other rando on an island except slightly more sympathetic, and silvers certainly not heroic enough to help ppl like that at the cost of his own desires
>>
>>5330177
That was AFTER we ran away from her TWICE. WE had to pretty much request Spooky to have that scene, or else it just would have been left at her not knowing shit and that wouldn't be resolved until maybe Marineford, if we had gone there.

How does that support your argument and refute mine? He had run away from her before that yes but his reason for doing so was still somewhat up for debate. This speech made that reason clear, that's all. Your argument was that Silver considered Mary family and that is not supported by any evidence.

>Everyone always says "Silver would ALWAYS do this." and conveniently left out the times when, no, he did not do that.

Read into shit, my argument is that Silver has a tendency to avoid uncomfortable subjects and that while Silver might SAY something he doesn't necessarily mean it fully, people can say shit and not back up those words.
Go back to that thread. After the scene Silver thinks to himself that there might still be some chance for reconciliation. Why would he want that if he doesn't care about Mary?
>What are you even referring to?
It's a general statement. Silver is very flanderized by the players. He's not completely unhinged, his first reaction to things isn't always murder. After his crushing defeat to Borsalino he avoided the subject until Hook just forced it out of him.
>>5330178
I see this more like Bones island, Silver had a main goal then and he changed his priorities when children were involved.
>>
>>5330196
>Read into shit, my argument is that Silver has a tendency to avoid uncomfortable subjects
True

>and that while Silver might SAY something he doesn't necessarily mean it fully, people can say shit and not back up those words.
Not true, Silver never says something he doesn't mean to. It doesn't mean he says everything he thinks but he never lies or speaks a half truth.

>Go back to that thread. After the scene Silver thinks to himself that there might still be some chance for reconciliation. Why would he want that if he doesn't care about Mary?
I NEVER said that he doesn't care about Mary, what I said is he doesn't consider her family. If that's what you had meant then you should have said so.

>Silver is very flanderized by the players.
I tend to agree, I've made multiple posts about it too.
>>
>>5330196

>Not true, Silver never says something he doesn't mean to. It doesn't mean he says everything he thinks but he never lies or speaks a half truth.
There you go, just like clockwork.
>I NEVER said that he doesn't care about Mary, what I said is he doesn't consider her family. If that's what you had meant then you should have said so.
Alright, here's some elaboration. What I mean is that while Silver might think or say Mary isn't her family, on some level he treats her as if she was. Think just how strong Silver's sense of obligation for his family is and how he compulsively just drags people along with him, for him that's just what "Silver" is. And for the longest time Mary was the closest thing he had resembling "family" so while he might not think of her as family normally, deep inside he feels a need the give her a bit leeway, because that's just how he feels he should be.

"I just- I don't care. I wanna rest..."
You say halfheartedly, feeling tired as all hell.
"Stitches. Can you do something about this hole here?"

"I... Of course."
She kneels down beside you and she takes out her medical tools from her little bag. Without as much as a word she begins tending to the five puncture wounds in your chest, as well as the broken bones beneath the skin.
"There. Done. I used silver to bind the bones together. That should help keep them in place as they heal. But make sure you pay attention to it so it doesn't break again."

"Thanks Stitches. I will. Now can I ask for some painkillers? My chest is killing me."

Everyone present except Nutmeg and Dexter snap their head around to turn and look at you. Lyda especially is shocked at your statement.
"I-I'm sorry. I don't have any..."

"Ah. I see."
You get up and walk away from the group kicking a pebble around with your hands tucked under your belt.

"Alright. Two questions. One, what the fuck is that rat? And two, don't you think it's a bit irresponsible for a doctor not to have any anesthetic on her?"

"Me-me Dexter! Me-me new crew!"

Dexter gets ignored by pretty much everyone as they pay close attention to the doctor.
"I do have both anesthetics and analgesic drugs on me. I could also transfer Silvers pain with my ability under normal circumstances. But Silver never asks for any painkillers. There is no amount of pain he can't bear. Except for one type."

"O-Oh."
Nutmeg looks down a bit.
"Alright. I'm gonna go talk to him."

"With all due respect miss. You shouldn't do that."
Murray grabs her by the shoulder.
"Trust us on this. He's volatile now and needs to get his head straight himself-"

But Nutmeg swats his hand away.
"Screw you! I swore I'd stand by that doofus and I meant what I said! And if any one of you wants to stop me then try it!"
She storms past all of them until she gets close enough to you at which point she slows down.
"Hey."

"Hi."

"You look like shit. And that's saying something, considering I've seen you chew through a nail. What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I just want to rest a bit. Then we'll get back on the ship and I'll sort all this out. I'm the captain."

"Yeah. A captain. A captain with a crew."
She speaks as she slowly approaches you.
"One of which just betrayed you. And it looks like it hurt you more than those shots they took at your heart. I know it feels shitty but... did she really mean so much to you?"

You try to keep a straight face as you glance at Nutmeg from the corner of your eyes but you start tearing up and at that point can no longer keep it together.
"How could she do this to me?"
Your voice cracks.
"She was my family!"
>>
>>5330206

>There you go, just like clockwork.
Sass is not an argument. I didn't base that assertion on nothing, please show me a time where Silver lied or was otherwise deceitful.

>Alright, here's some elaboration. What I mean is that while Silver might think or say Mary isn't her family, on some level he treats her as if she was.
No he doesn't. Where in his interactions with her does it look like that?

>And for the longest time Mary was the closest thing he had resembling "family"
No she wasn't. The first person to resemble family to Silver was Eliza for obvious reasons. Mary's attachment to Silver didn't and doesn't resemble a familial relationship but a pet/owner one again, for obvious reasons.

I don't remember him giving her any leeway but I'll grant that to you for the sake of argument. Her being a child and not knowing any better is a much more plausible reason for leeway than any of this "Such a deep and complex relationship" thing you're peddling.

In conclusion, I agree that Silver is often flanderized but I also think that you're doing the extreme opposite of that which is over complicating Silver's character and obfuscating his relationships and way of thinking. We will probably have to agree to disagree not only because we're starting to clutter up the thread but because your first response to rebuttal
is impertinence which isn't conducive to good discussion in the first place.

"Aww."
She grabs you by the shoulder and pulls you in close so you can lean on her.
"There there. Good. Let it all out. Don't be shy."

Her encouragement only serves as further fuel for your sobbing. Only once you've went on for quite a while did you manage to speak coherent words again.
"How could she?!"

"Sigh. It's not easy to say this but... that's just how people are. Sometimes those that are closest, like your family members, can hurt you the most. Trust me on that."

"But you-"

"I would never. And I may not have known them for long but I know they wouldn't hurt you either. But that doesn't mean everyone is like that. No matter how much you open up to them, how earnest you are or how much affection you show to them. If they want to they can hurt you. And those closest to you can harm you the most."
She then grabs your head and forces you to look in her eyes.
"And that's why that kind of trust is precious. Do NOT push everyone away because of that! Look! Every single one of them is worried to death for you. But they are too scared to come help you because they've never seen you this hurt. They ARE your family."

"I- Thank you."
You touch her hand and sigh with relief.
"I get it now. So what should I do now?"

"Whatever you feel is right. I'll be there with you. And so will they."

"Thanks."
You pat her hand one more time before breaking away from her and turning around to face the others.
"ALRIGHT LISTEN UP EVERYONE! I'm messed up but we can work on that later! Jaws! How's the island?"

"Pacified. The wardens are dead. The slaves are confused. For now."

"Good! Everyone this is Dexter! He's a rat-man who saved me from Pepe. He's a friend. He will be treated AND paid well for helping me-"

"Me-me help you more! Me-me come with you!"

Well it looks like there is an overwhelming support for properly finishing this place and not just leaving it in a half crumbling state

"But first I want to rest up! In the meantime we can finish this island! That should be simple enough!"

Though the pain itself hasn't really subsided your spirits are high once more and with those you fly up to the floating islands in the sky where these people have set up a building from which they can observe the entirety of the island and control all of the mechanisms that help things run smoothly. What non-combat staff there was Ann disabled and tied up pretty quickly so they could be hung from the towers of the building like christmas ornaments. Their panicked screams as they pray that the string of web separating them from a pretty big fall doesn't just snap can be heard across the entire island as you turn on their loudspeakers.

"Ahem. Is this thing on? H-Hello? Ah there we go! Congratulations prisoners! You've been freed. You can put down your tools and come to where you usually send what you mine. We got a surprise for you."
After about an hour or so most of the islands former prisoners have arrived and crowded up where you told them to.
"Well we got some good news for all of you! Whatever you did doesn't matte anymore! You can do whatever you want! Now there is a little problem. We can't actually get you off this island yet. But I already called a few friends who are gonna come and renovate this place a bit. If you want they can take you somewhere safe where you can find a way home on your own. Or if you don't wanna you can stay here and be a part of what we're cooking! But for now-"
You snap your finger and the whole island hears it, after which your crewmembers who were all positioned at one of the rings smash through the great wall, creating a straight line connecting each of the layers together.
"It's time to celebrate!"

You hand out the stuff you found in the pantry of the wardens starting with the two kids like you promised and begin to feast. The two little kids look at the food, at everyone else eating and back at you.
"Is this really for us?"

"Yup!"

"Aren't you gonna tell them not to eat too much?"

"Nope. They are adults. They should know better."

"I-Is this what it's like to be a pirate?"

"Hmmmm no. Usually we don't hand out all the food like that so we can have more."

"Whoah! I-I kinda wanna be a pirate now. Like you mister!"
You glare at the girl and her little brother.
"D-Did I say something wrong?"

"Kek! No! You just made me very happy is all! Thanks. I needed that! Tell you what. When you get a bit bigger and feel like becoming a proper pirate go to Outer Heaven! It's THE home of pirates! They'll help you with that!"

Once you're done feasting you put up your Jolly Roger on the island to signal to anyone who'd dare to mess with it and then you take your leave. After letting Greki catch up and explaining to Shelley that things will get a bit dangerous now you go to bed to get as much sleep as you can before arrival but not before pointing the others in the direction you know Clown went. Sleep however does not bring you the much needed rest. Only bad dreams of a distant place. In a well lit room people dressed in all white, with a man wearing a marine uniform standing next to them argue among each other.

"So retrieval of agent Saturn was successful. Your work is as exemplary as ever Soir Bleu. We've all but written him off."

"In my defense the intel we received was faulty. If I knew the full extent of the Irukas security I would've chosen a different method of assassinating the target."

"We are not interested in excuses agent Saturn. Only results. You will be disciplined thoroughly for your failings. But for now we have more pressing matters to attend. As such you'll be temporarily moved under agent Soir Bleu. You will do as she says for the duration of the mission. Now, Soir Bleu."

"Right away. The current situation is thus. I have in my possession a document detailing every single one of Outer Heavens defenses. It took longer than expected due to the chaotic layout of the fort but I managed to calculate and write down the exact number of armaments they have, what their range are, the range of their movement as well as the structural weakpoints of the fort, both originally present and the ones I've set up. It won't be easy but I believe a talented captain could navigate around all the blindspots and get close enough to disable most of the defenses. After which Marine forces could easily dismantle the sea fort. It is vital we deliver this information to HQ so that the place is destroyed immediately. But we have a problem."

"The pirates themselves."

"It'd be best to just ignore those pests and fulfill our objectives."

"No Saturn. Outer Heaven is not the problem. Silver is. His removal is imperative both to please the gods and to ensure he won't construct it again. I heard rumors that he personally designed the place, or at least partially. If so that would explain the troubling details I saw. Contrary to its appearance the fort is quite sophisticated on the inside. It's not just a hodge podge of ships but a fully realized fort whose central structure would put this or any other G Fort to shame."

"So what do you suggest Soir Bleu?"

"Knowing him I am his target now. I shall play the role of bait. And he will come to us. Our sneak attack injured him gravely. We must capitalize on that opportunity and eliminate him while he's weakened-"

"YOU WANT TO USE MY FORT FOR YOUR TRAP? I won't have it-"

"You don't have a choice. We already requisitioned the place. Now here are the dossiers of the Silvers including all their weaknesses."
>>
And that's as far as I can go today.
Next time we'll properly begin the attack on Clown and her posse
Have a good time until then
>>
Welp we've finally claimed a second island and once again its one we've been forced to claim since for some reason players seem allergic to claiming islands :V
>>
>>5330370
Ah, turning the new generation into terrorists, that's what piracy is really about.
>>5330420
Oh man, I wanna see where this is going. Can our people deal with the attack on their own?
>>5330422
Thanks for the run. Are we getting omakes of our crew's fights offscreen?
>>5330425
Sucks but I can kinda see why, not every island is that interesting.
>>
>>5330422
Thanks for running Spooks! This was a real good'un. From Silver breaking down, to the crew actually being afraid and unsure what to do to Nutmeg showing that she really cares for him *chefs kiss*

There are times where I regret not being artistically inclined because god damn a blood drenched silver showing up to address the former captives in the middle of a perpetual storm with screaming people/windchimes hanging above would be one hell of an image. I'm kinda surprised people didn't run screaming, either way nobody is ever gonna forget that.

>>5330425
Well lesse, first Silver island. Then Fishman island, those bastards above the jade city also fly our colours even if we don't know it. Outer Heaven.
Which ones is it you're forgetting about?

>>5330436
Does that mean Eliza just became an ideological grandmother? :3
As for Outer Heaven; well it's made by Greki and Silver hasn't been there for a while... I somehow doubt the fort would let itself be dismantled just like that.

Either way this actually poses a very intriguing question: is Silver going to realize that he did to Mary what Clown just did to him, and is he going to consider that cruel enough to warrant an apologie because holy shit would that be one hell of a scene.
>>
>>5330436
>Sucks but I can kinda see why, not every island is that interesting

well we don't exactly need to stay on the island, like literally worse thing that can happen from claiming one is that once we leave someone takes our flags tosses it aside and says "nope its not his" in which case we lose nothing, like when i was reading through the backlog was consistently surprised on the choices not to claim islands, since theres no real downside i can think of, like atleast after we partnered with big mom, since that auto makes us enemies of the other yonko anyway
>>
>>5330460
>Does that mean Eliza just became an ideological grandmother? :3
I'd say she has been one since we recruited Will
>Either way this actually poses a very intriguing question: is Silver going to realize that he did to Mary what Clown just did to him, and is he going to consider that cruel enough to warrant an apologie because holy shit would that be one hell of a scene.
Is it really the same tho? Silver didn't really want to break Mary's heart, he was forced into that relationship and dealt with it however he could.
But he does seem to realize that he's kinda clingy like Mary, if the fem!Silver omake is to be believed.
>>5330474
Yeah, fair enough.
>>
>>5330303
Then have it your way, my argument was that Silver avoids emotional baggage and I guess I got you mixed up with some other anon. I don't really see the Mary interpretation as that complex but I fumble my words so it came off too convoluted.
And as for Silver being capable of deceit, he lied to Tsuru back in thread 2. It was pretty much the only option, so from there and out telling the truth at every turn was on the anons.
Anyways, I had enough of the debate when the update came around and I was telling you off. My uninformed and biased opinion of you might color the way I write but I don't think it takes away from my arguments, or rather I don't care to try being neutral, take it or leave it.
That's about it.
I don't wanna trick anyone into thinking this is the update so I'll save it for later.
>>
>>5330479
>Is it really the same tho? Silver didn't really want to break Mary's heart, he was forced into that relationship and dealt with it however he could.

might not be a 1 to 1 but silver could gain a bit more sympathy for how she feels after this, like "oh wow is this how i made you feel? shit that sucks"
>>
>>5330420
>Knowing him I am his target now. I shall play the role of bait. And he will come to us.

How stupid do they think Silver is exactly?

Like he knows shit when he smells it, you can't just wave a flag that says "Pepe here" and expect him to go out of his way to kill her.

Fuck me even if that could work Silver is smart enough to surround himself with people who are actually better at tactical thinking that he is, even if you could fool him could you also fool Jaws, Stiches, Nutmeg, Ann, Angel, Will, our new friend Dexter, /and/ Dauntless?

I'm used to WG dogs being arrogant sons of bitches but this is frankly ridiculous.
>>
>>5330422
Thanks for running Spooks.
>>
>>5330483
Some sympathy is fine but Silver doesn't owe Mary more than that. That and I think she's just too far gone, her mind is rotten from obsession.
>>
>>5330485
I read that all in Kevins voice and I kek'd

But yes, they are that arrogant. These are the niggers that were playing shogi while a war raged around them and only intervened once it was 90% sure they were gonna loose
>>
>>5330493
Yeah i don't think silver and mary will ever have a relationship but can genuinely see their arc ending like "I get it, i was the only real connection you had when we were younger, and i can admit now that you were probably the nicest person to me during that time and that there was no way you could have known what your actions did, but im sorry, i can't build a relationship with you that you want, i genuinely hope you can accept this and move on and be happy someday" admittedly this probably ends with a fight with mary and silver killing her anyway though
>>
>>5330498
Well, when the time comes it's up to us anons, we can always hope.
>>
>>5330494
You're right and a piece of me kinda died inside.

How these people managed to get control of the world continues to confuse and infuriate me in equal measure. That cunt sitting on the empty throne better be some kind of bullshit mastermind I swear to the void.
>>
>>5330485
Oh no, he definitely will. The problem is that Silver very rarely just sails in, jumps off Dauntless and starts wrecking shit. And if he does its because he's bored.
Just like with the alloy research station, just like with this place. Just like when we show up to play tag with Kaido's lads.

Yea Silver is an idiot, but he's a bloody brilliant idiot! And if we wanted to be real nasty we'd just post a bounty on Outer Heaven "Wanted, Dead or Dead; Pepe the CP0 Clown. Price: Your ships ballast in gold"
>>
>>5330504
Well genociding everyone who disagreed with them using bullshit magic abilities and very likely ancient weapons is a good way of doing it
After that it was likely a case of good PR and propaganda. Setting yourself up as the defacto "cool and good guy" and having a bunch of seafaring criminals who rape and pillage as your sworn enemies is a good way to get everyone on board.
But I do believe they took a bit too big of a sippie of their own koolaid and what was once just a marketing technique is now widely and genuinely believed by all but the uppermost brass

Also Admirals. Can't forget about them
>>
>>5330502
i do genuinely think mary and silver could reconcile, but it'd need silver to get character developement in a way where he no longer fears his past and fears returning to it, so he could genuinely face her without that subconscious fear rising up in him

Agent Bleu, formerly Pepe the Clown, was busy coordinating the marines at G-15. Like a conductor at an opera she guided them so they could properly reinforce their fort for what is about to come. It wasn't an easy task. Strengthening weakpoints, trapping key locations and setting up killzones at chokepoints in every possible area was just not possible. Not with the limited amount of time they had. So they had to compromise. With how unpredictable the enemy was he could come from any direction. The few key areas they could prepare thus had to be arranged in a pattern that would ensure no matter what course they take the pirates would have to go through some of them. It was not ideal. Not by a long shot. But it did not have to be. It's true purpose, unbeknownst to the marines, was not stopping the pirates. It was to deal as much damage to them with as little investment as possible to soften them up.

She was just done with setting up one of these key areas and she was on her way to the next when she came across another person in the wide hallway. He, alongside his side-kick was sent here at the request of Bleus superior. Officially he's here to offer his expertise on the pirates. In reality however nothing forces any of the other agents to listen to what he has to say. He was brought here to be taunted, to be reminded of his failure and to be put in his place. Bleu however did not care either way. Her superiors can do all the cock-fighting they want. She's here to fulfill her mission. If she could deliver the head of one of the most despised and wanted pirates on a silver platter to the gods she'd be richly rewarded and distinguished for her accomplishments. Not even acknowledging his presence she simply continued walking past him when the man spoke up.

"I've read your reports. Impressive work."
He spoke calmly in a perfectly neutral tone. Yet his very presence was oozing malice.
"You managed to compile a very detailed report of each of their capabilities and weaknesses. How long did it take?"

"Several weeks."

"Hm. About what I expected. Do you believe that was adequate time to gather accurate intel? Seems a bit rushed to me."

"I know it pales in comparison to the years you spent undercover. It really is a rushed job. Shameful really. But nowhere near as bad as your blunder was. Rob Lucci."

Lucci remained calm despite her grave insult. His assistant however was growing agitated.
"I suggest you watch your mouth!"

"Honhonhon! The lapdog barks! Why don't you ask your master to take off your collar so I could beat the crap out of you?"

Lucci merely closes his eyes and lets out a heavy sigh.
"That's enough from both of you. Mary. Control yourself. Bleu. Remind yourself that you're no longer in the midst of belligerent, drunk criminals. You're in service of the Celestial Dragons. Have some dignity. Now instead of responding with aggression let me finish what I tried to say. After carefully reading through your reports several times I believe you've made an excellent job analyzing all of them, except Cavalier. You grossly misunderstood him and unless we alter the plan accordingly it will all crash and burn, which will further undermine the reputation of Cipher Pol."

"Do not lecture me Rob Lucci! After your spectacular defeat at his hands your opinion carries little weight around here!"

"True. My reputation was ruined. Most of my comrades were killed. Years of preparation for nothing. But it's thank to that humiliating defeat that I managed to understand Cavalier deeply. All that introspection came in useful. And though I only engaged him briefly it's evident that it still afforded me far greater insight than the weeks you spent in his company. What you described in there will not be what happens. At all."
Luccis words carried seemingly no malice, which terrified Bleu. If he's indeed genuine and not just saying that to make sure others fail where he did then that would be disastrous.
"But what I don't understand is why did you so hastily abandon your post? Based on all your other observations you were close to creating a perfect profile and a plan to take him down. Why stop prematurely?"

She smirked.
"Tch. You know Lucci I almost fell for it for a second there! Miscalculated? Prematurely? Failure? Don't kid yourself! I am not like you! So stop projecting your own failures onto me! I successfully manipulated Cavalier into cracking the most secure non-government owned prison and recovered a failed agent! I infiltrated Outer Heaven and the Silver Pirates! Nobody has done HALF the things I did! And once I deliver not just Cavaliers head but Outer Heaven and all the slaves to the Celestial Dragons my first order of business as head of CP0 will be to purge it of failures like yourself! Honhonhon! Now if you'll excuse me I got the future of the world to ensure! Ciao!"

As Bleu left Mary looked at Lucci.
"She must've suffered brain damage. What makes her think anyone will give a shit about her? Aegis Zero is a tool. Does she think the dragons will thank their tool for a job she's meant to do? Well whatever. Once she's alone I'll teach her a lesson on going after MY prey! And don't even try to stop me! HEY! Are you listening to me Lu...ci..."
Mary was mortified. Lucci was smiling. Not just smiling but full on giggling to himself.

"Oh I see! So that's it! This is even better than I thought!"
>>
Alright. I wanted to get this out of my system before we proceed.
Also, I'm gonna have garden (read: brewing) work tomorrow

Also, Pepe le Bleu... You did also kind of hand over a massive fortress and a small army of (high value) now former slaves to Silver, not to mention the inspiration to usurp two kings of the underworld. I'm just saying, if he doesn't die here you've kind of set him up for success.

That's gotten me curious. What was Pepe's analysis of Silver in her report? I imagine it severely underestimates Silver in some way but I'd like to know what she said exactly.

It'd be... interesting to see what lessons she took from Silver and his crew because she seems to have a certain dogma that colors her thinking on everything. It'd be especially interesting to hear what she thought about the conversations they had together, specifically the one about dreams and her lack of one.

I'm thinking she made the same mistake that the R.A. did, thinking that Silver has some grand plan or an ego big enough to be manipulated by it.

Silver operates on a very simple structure, a structure that so far only Lucci has managed to understand "Do as thou wilt."

Betray him and run, he won't hunt you down, or he might, but there's a very real chance that he'll just go home and make a sandwich because you he's hungry /now/ and he'll kill you horribly the next time you cross paths.

Shower him with riches and he'll just shrug, take the money, and give you a pat on the head or something. You can't buy him because money doesn't matter to him, it's just something shiny that also gets him stuff he actually wants.

He doesn't operate on societal norms, hell he actively goes out of his way to burn them to the fucking ground if they get in his way to have fun.

Just gonna toss this out there because I've been watching conspiracy shit for 6 hours.

BUT

What If Clown be committing suicide by Silver for the crime of being happy to be with us? Lucci's smile hints that something is amiss so either she's dumber than we think or just dumb and platonically(familiarlly?) in love?

No, I don't think that's it. In fact, I think it's the extreme opposite. Instead of thinking they're playing 4D chess, the more likely analysis is that she thinks that they're a group of complete retards who have gotten by with just incredible strength and luck so therefore they can be easily beaten with subterfuge. Remember, she had a conversation with the crew about all of their big actions and how none of them were planned. "So the Silver Pirates are just a bunch of idiots?!" I think she said. Silver's great rise and success in spite of his lack of planning and strategic thought gives her some HUGE cognitive dissonance so to resolve that she just completely dismisses him as an idiot.

I imagine that's why Lucci went pic related, if she thinks things are that simple then she will either have another think coming or won't think at all.

"--annnd it looks like he's brought an armada with him, consisting several pirate crews, including some Yohnkos!"

You are awakened by Angel after some rough sleep and you walk out onto the deck while still feeling groggy. Looking up, the sky seems just as black as when you left as if the storm has come with you. Though the lightning and the thunder has subsided and it seems much calmer now. The others get your attention with a cough and you walk forward with each raindrop feeling heavy like beads of lead.
"We followed your direction Captain. I think this is where she went."

"Thank you Jaws."
Will hands you his looking glass and you take a glance at the mountain sticking out of the waters. It's not big enough to be considered an island and thus likely has no magnetic field of its own. But it's big enough to house a G-Fort. Such forts are more plentiful in Paradise where setting up and maintaining them is relatively easy. Only a handful of them are in areas of such import that the Government would be willing to contend with the forces of nature, sea creatures and the pirates of the New World for it.
"That's it."

You hand back the glass for Will who seems to have his doubts.
"It looks like a mountain accidentally got stuck in a bunch of guns."

"Well it IS more gun than fort that's for sure."
Marcella nods.
"Only way these bastards can survive here probably."

"Hmmm. Fastest ship or not with that much firepower they could blanket the whole sea if they want to. This will be a tricky one-"

"No Toxin. We won't be approaching it with the Dauntless."

"WHAT?!"
"WHAT?!"

"I'll go."

"Silver dear. What did we say about recklessly rushing headlong into situations without us?"

"This is different Spider. What Clown did is my responsibility! It's time I do my job as a captain and not just enjoy it. Besides. If we go in and attack they'll surround us with a fleet."

"Is that the voices telling ye that one lad?"

"No. I just feel it in my gut."

Nutmeg then steps up.
"Well then tough luck. We're the Silver Pirates. Beating unbeatable odds is what we do! Or so I am told."

What if, hear me out, we actually come up with something of a plan for once? We have the resin to submerge Dauntless that we haven't used since we left Outer Heaven, so getting everyone close is possible. They might have submarines but it's better than approaching from the surface.
I'm also tempted to have Silver sneak in and Escaton Voice the place from the inside,. Silver is accidentally built for stealth and if he's fully healed and rested he should be able to blow up once and keep fighting.

"Sigh. Fine. We'll go in together..."
They all nod and smile with satisfaction.
"I try being responsible once and this is how you treat me?"

"Y-You really have nobody to blame but yourself."

"Hmmm. Correct. We just learned from you."

"Oh.... Well poop. Anyway. Jaws! Are you ready?"

"As always captain!"

"Then let's go knock."

Jumping in the water Murray takes point as you activate the Razielim and sprout bat wings. Flying forward you get spotted by some of the lookouts of the marines and the alarms of the fort began blaring at full volume. You see all the turrets taking aim straight at you and a voice speaks on the loudspeakers.
"Pirate. You're in private waters. Surrender to the World Government or be obliterated."
The man on the speakers sounds unusually calm. And by the looks of it he's ready to order your destruction if you do anything other than raising a white flag immediately.

"I came to talk to Clown. This doesn't concern you-"

"Fire."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Y3tmKzNDks

Every artillery piece fires almost at the same time with only a fraction of a seconds delay between cannons. Most of the cannonballs fly directly at you, whether by accident or deliberately a few of them are going towards the Dauntless. Regardless of their target all of them split in half and explode as you aim your wings at them and shoot out ten beams of sound from each wingtip that you use to slice them all up. Judging from the sound of the loading mechanisms they are currently reloading them.

"Now Jaws!"
You shout and the water carries your voice.

From the surface of the water a great anchor bursts fort and latches onto the barrel of one of them. Using its chain to climb up Murray scales one of the cannons and throws a punch down the length of it. An explosion goes off inside as the freshly loaded cannonball explodes inside the barrel, shaking the base and likely filling it with smoke and rubble. Your fish-man companion then runs down the barrel and into the compound. The loudspeakers screech as they come online and you hear some commotion coming from the background before the speaker begins again.
"Ignore that! Fire!"

A second volley is unleashed and this time you decide to draw your sword to dispatch them. Sending one flying slash at each of the balls you cut the bombs into ribbons. But that's not the main target of your attack. The slashes continue their flight and bombard the barrels of the cannons, cutting them to shreds. It does not disable them per se. But now it's going to be nigh impossible to aim them properly with their barrels all messed up which should help.
"Charge."
You point forward with your sword and the Dauntless starts following your advance.
>>
The marines still try to stop you by firing aimlessly. Some of their shells even get close to their marks. But there are enough people on your ship that can handle them that you don't pay attention to it anymore. Instead you focus on the water because this seems too easy. Indeed it would be, were it not for the underwater mines guarding the entrance. Thankfully it looks like Jaws has collected a few, clearing a path leading straight to their front door and left the ones he gathered in a nice bouquet with their chains conveniently floating on the water. Smiling you fly down and lift the thing out of the water and swing it around like a sling before throwing it in the sky. Using Parley you shoot this makeshift bundle of balloons and they pop with a bright flash that blinds the marines inside the fort, allowing you to dock safely. Thankfully none of their big guns seem to be capable of aiming at the dock itself due to safety reasons so the ship should be fine as is.

"Shelley. Stay here and keep the ship warm for us. Everyone else. Follow me."

The others disembark and you make your way to the massive steel gate sealing the entrance of the fort. You knock on it gently and it opens up for you with Murray waiting on the other side and waving at you with a smile on his face. You are the first one to stroll in and the others follow you but they stop once they actually enter through the door and line up alongside Murray. Dripping wet you slowly walk forward with a sloppy thud marking each of your steps. You steadily keep walking to the calm, cold rhythm of your heart, not even stopping to acknowledge the wall of guns and marines in your way. Only when you spot a camera snail on the wall do you stop.

"Clown. I know you're here. I came to talk."
There is no answer coming. But you hear the sound of rifles being cocked and you look forward.

It's actually kinda sad. I think this is the first time we get a set of options like this. IE "move or die" or "just fucking die" to decide how combat starts. Usually the options are of the "fuck around" variety. Clown really cut Silver deeply.

Without a word you start walking towards them again. After the first one they open fire and keep firing. However despite the amount of bullets they shoot at you they can't seem to hit you in any way shape or form. All they hear is the sound of metals impact on metal and only see the flattened smooth bore bullets of theirs slowly gathering and piling up on the ground around you as you keep walking. They don't even see the giant bat wings flapping around and smacking them out of the air, just a brown blur. When you reach their barricade they try to stab you with their bayonets but the knives can't pierce your skin even as you reach up to touch the sheet of metal separating you from them. With a bit of force you push your hand through it as if it was paper.
"Melchahim."

Your hand on the other side of the barrier lights up and exudes flames. The blockade that was meant to keep you out now acts nicely as a shield protecting your crewmates from the ferocity of your attack. You keep pumping out the fire until the screams coming from the Marines side abates. With a big yank you break the barricade apart as you pull your arm out. Past it there is nothing but a corridor charred black and covered in ash. Closing your eyes you click your tongue and scan most of the fort.

"Alright. Jaws. You take half the crew and go that way. Hook. You take the other and go that way. Clean this place out. Don't want to get stabbed in the ass. I'm going for Clown."

"Roger!"
"Roger!"

They break formation and go their respective ways to flush out any and all marine forces from whatever holes they'd hide in. Meanwhile you continue your stroll forward. Your footsteps echo harder in the empty, black corridor.

As you keep going you don't find much other than marines with some weird weapons. The one that stood out most to you were some water guns filled with a green fluid that just ate through the floor when it splashed on them. Other times they had the room flood with various gases, emit strange hypnotic sounds or other such things that you can't exactly just punch to go away. However you are in no mood to toy around with any of those so instead you kept scorching every single room you walked in until the stone walls melted. Walking ever forward with an inferno following behind you finally come to a stop when you feel a familiar presence, one you have not felt in a long time. The fire dies down and you stop as the person you sensed draws closer. Or rather people.

Despite wearing all white and a mask you have no doubt about his identity. Nor one of his companions. The other one however stumps you. They all stop and take off their masks one by one. You actually fidget a little when you see all of their faces.
"It's been a long time. Cavalier."
Rob Lucci greets you.

"Yo."
So does Kaku.

But not Mary. Instead Lucci smirks at you. In response you close your fists so hard your knuckles crack. You resume your walk towards Clown with the same resolve as before. You can't stop now. However Lucci does something that makes you stop again. He turns to the side and steps back, giving you free passage.
"Go ahead."

"LUCCI!"
That was the first word Mary said. Kaku merely looked at Lucci and after a shrug followed his example. The man who previously called himself the embodiment of Dark Justice grabbed Mary by the shoulder and pulled her aside.

"I won't stand in your way."

You look at all three of them with suspicion. Yet two out of three of them are absolutely calm. They are not worried in the least. They feel like they are ready for a fight but something tells you they won't start anything unless you do. Mary is an exception to that but it seems they got a good handle on her.

Standing there you hesitate for several moments before deciding on what to do. Eventually however you sigh and lower your guard as you continue walking. Lucci and Kaku are both a bit on edge as you pass them by. Despite their assuredness they are wise enough to not completely relax in your presence. Kaku even has his hand discretely on the hilt of one of his swords and you can swear Luccis eyes look like a cats.

But when you stop right in front of them. They actually recoil a bit as you slowly turn to look at them, more specifically Mary. Her hostile stance is slowly crumbling as you look in her eyes until she appears to be just confused.
"I'm... sorry. I get it now. We'll talk later."

You turn back forward and continue your march to the very heart of this place. As you leave you hear Mary trying to speak up but the other two shut her up. Likely so that she doesn't do anything stupid that might tick you off. That'll have to do for now. You doubt you could even talk properly to her in the state you are currently in.

After leaving them behind and another arduous walk you finally manage to get to what appears to be some sort of storage area that quickly got emptied in preparation for this moment. As soon as you enter a massive metal door comes down from the sky and shuts you in with a loud crash. But you don't even budge at that. Instead you focus at the set of people standing in front of you, dressed in white clothes similar to the ones Lucci, Kaku and Mary wore. But they are not removing their masks. You count three of them, not including Clown herself. Plus one person who seems to be in some sort of observation deck wearing standard but high ranking marine uniform. Most likely the guy who shut the door behind you.

"Welcome Cavalier Silver."
The tallest one bows to you a little.
"We are so glad you came. As you-"

He continues to talk but it's pretty much just meaningless pleasantries that seem to serve no point. Until you hear the hissing sound coming from the walls. You grow some hair out on your fleshy arm and start swiping it around. The clumps of hair detonate the breath dials embedded in the walls.
"That's not going to work a second time."

"I guess not. But before we proceed with killing you, would you mind answering us a simple question? Surely you realized we were waiting for you. What is it that convinced you to come here despite the obvious danger?"

No matter how upset or hurt you feel none of it justifies any of your actions. For your sins are far greater than any we can inflict upon you. Did you really think swimming against the tide and upsetting the natural order wouldn't have any consequences? This is what you earned for daring to go against the gods of this world. And know that even if you escape here with your life you will never know relief, respite or peace. You will be hounded until the end of time and you will be-"

"Shut your mouth worm."
You speak calmly.
"I did not come for you. I came for Clown."

He pauses.
"As you wish then. Soir Bleu. The stage is yours."

The man steps aside, revealing Pepe or Clown or Soir Bleu fully, though it's obvious that they are still guarding her. She is your prey, the bait. They want you to go after her very much. To do what you want so they can seize their opportunity and strike you down in that instant. You are not that careless. So Clown must speak up in order to get a reaction out of you.

"Hon hon hon. So... what is it you wish of me "Captain"?"
She says in a mocking tone, emphasizing the word captain as if to rub salt in a wound. She gives you a playful bow.

"I came to talk."

"So you say. But so far that's ALL you said, aside some thinly veiled or open threats of course. So go ahead! Blurt out what you have to say! If you can form a coherent sentence that is you bumbling fool! I frankly have no idea how you managed to stay alive up until now! Guess you must've been born under a lucky star you drooling idiot! Because by all reason and logic someone as stupid as you should've died LONG AGO! And the fact that pathetic excuse of a man Lucci lost to you twice now is an embarrassment to the human race as a whole!"

She speaks with much vitriol. And though it may seem like she has a point in all of that you noticed a mistake. A tiny little detail that reveals her to be only human, one that can make a blunder. She thinks you beat Lucci again. But you only fought him once. Her assumption is wrong.

Looking her directly in the eye you gather all your temperance and speak.
"You left without a word. I came to get you."
>>
"K-k-kahah!"
She chortles.
"Get me?! You really are even more moronic than I thought! What? The thought of me betraying you scrambled that dirt sized brain of yours?! Do you even know where you are? DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! I AM SOIR BLEU! Agent, spy and infiltrator of Cipher Pol Aegis Zero! I AM THE SILENT HAND OF THE GODS!"

"So what?"
You start shouting.
"I DON'T KNOW! I don't know who you are and I don't care! If you want to know who you are then I'll tell you!"
You pause.
"You're my crew! You're my family! You're the girl I saw riding a ball and playing her instruments with all her heart! You're the one who sang louder than the storm and more beautifully than I ever heard! The time we spent together may have been short but it meant more to me than you think and it belongs to only you and I! You're my companion! When you attacked me it made my heart ache. But I came after you because you left without a word! Does this mean you want out of my crew? Do you want to leave? Just tell me. Please... Tell me."

A tear begins to form under your remaining eye as the woman you knew as Clown starts speaking.
"I-"

"What about your dream? I told you! I'll help you find one! I WILL!"

"Sil-"

"Fufufufufufu-"
The leading figure starts to chuckle.
"Ah bravo! Bravo! Beautiful! What a marvelous display! And all according to script Soir Bleu. I admit I was skeptical at first. But he did break down as you said he would. Who would've guessed that the most cold hearted murderer in the world is nothing but a little child afraid of being abandoned? Well done agent. Well done. Keep this up and you may yet make the cut one day."

"One-"

"Now-"
The other two agents step forth alongside their leader.
"Let us deliver the dragons what they are due."

They start charging at you.

When you say "wait for her" do you mean Silver just stands there and lets the agents hit him? Because I would be against that.

Also, goddammit I should've been here for the Mary interaction. You guys went to far with it, I can see Silver understanding her point of view and therefore wanting to talk to her but apologizing for what he did? It was completely justified, he has nothing to apologize for about that.
>>
>>5333610
He doesn't regret leaving or even what he said. He regrets that she thought he was family when he wasn't. He didn't get how much that hurt then but he gets it now.
>>
>>5333610
He apologized specifically for hurting her because he now understands
Not for doing it, for how it made her feel
>>
>>5333610
It's about regretting what he did, its about Silver not being a sadist. Kill people you don't like, that's fair and proper but he's never been about hurting people.
It may have been completely justified but it's also mean. At least that's how I see it.
>>
>>5333610
Just because she doesn't deserve it doesn't mean it was wrong, you know, being the bigger man and all.
>>
>>5333615
> He regrets that she thought he was family when he wasn't.
> Not for doing it, for how it made her feel
That's not what apologies are for, or at least it never should be. An apology is simply an earnest admission of wrong doing, if there was no wrong comitted then there is nothing to apologize for.
>>
>>5333621
I'm gonna have to disagree with you anon. I see it as Silver coming to understand Mary's position and the sorry is for having not understood it before

>writing

>>5333619
> It's about regretting what he did
Why should he? As I said, it was completely justified.

> its about Silver not being a sadist.
Complete hyperbole, rightfully calling someone out on their harmful delusion (albeit an excusable one) is not equivalent to taking pleasure in someone's suffering.

>>5333620
How is wrongfully apologizing "being the bigger man"? In my mind, that'd be letting go of any resentment towards her and then extending an olive branch.

>>5333628
You're actually agreeing with me, you think his lack of understanding of her point of view was the wrongdoing. Though I disagree that it was wrong because not understanding her position changes nothing, his actions and words were still justified even if they were harsh.

Anyway, I've made my point about apologies. Knowing that he could've been more understanding of her point of view does not merit an apology under the circumstances.
>>
You wait with abated breath what the answer of Clown will be. But as you do the three agents manage to attack you. One of them stabs you in the neck with her finger, the second who you assume to be the guy from the prison island kicks you in the side while the leader attacks you head on.
"Rokuogun!"

He blasts you in the chest and while it doesn't break your bones it does manage to hurt your already injured heart. Blood spurts from your mouth but you refuse to budge or even to wobble a little as you wait for the answer. You see her mouth slowly, almost unconsciously open on its own so that an innocent little word can escape through the gap.
"I- want to be free."
She claps her hands over her own mouth when she says it in shock. But that's all you needed.

Grinning you grab the Saturn guys leg and using him you smack away the other two before tossing him aside as well. Feeling excited and the wounds on your chest opening up again you rip off your shirt and roar.

Forget the crew, imagine the fallout of a Cipher Pol Aegis Zero defecting and joining Silver. Like, put aside how much his internal security is gonna increase from Clown's knowledge/training being used to help Silver. That's just the bottom of the fucking barrel here.

A member of Cipher Pol Aegis Zero, a group working directly under the World Nobles. Defecting to join mother fucking Silver, who has made no bones about his intentions to change the world into his image. It's nothing new to us, but Silver is just a massive fucking ideological threat, seeping his way and corrupting his enemies with long enough contact. No one on the Marines' side is going to be allowed to talk to him or his crew. Fight, die, or run away.

Im still hung up on the Mary situation, It could be very cool but I don't understand this sympathetic vibe Im getting towards her from this thread. Surely It's not just me that still thinks she's a villain... or a "fucking ego maniacal hero complex of a narcissist" as someone from thread 7 colourfully put it.
>>
>>5334120
Could you please read any of the responses you've gotten, including from Spooks on high, nobody is sympathetic towards Mary. Nobody is talking about poor innocent little Mary who didn't do nuffin.
You don't have to do that to see the comparisons between Silver/Mary early on and Clown/Silver, or go "That hurt and if I did something equally cruel to someone else that's kinda fucked up"
>>
>>5334209
I find you asserting that nobody is sympathetic towards Mary and then immediatly contradicting that in the second paragraph very humorous. Now, I think if I lay things out as I see them my position will become clear.

Silver and Mary grew up on the same island as children. He was a slave and she wasn't. Silver was, besides other things, violently coerced into a relationship with Mary by the islanders. Mary, being a child, reasonably gets the wrongful impression that the relationship was not only genuine but very close.
Mary fucks off to the marines to buy Silver but still, somewhat reasonably, doesn't connect the dots. Silver meets Eliza and his journey as a pirate begins.

Some time passes and after some brief encounters they meet again. Mary questions Silver on why his behaviour towards her doesn't match the relationship she thinks they have. Silver rightfully lays out that the entire relationship was a lie built on coercion but says he's willing to start over with her. Mary does not blame the slavers who denied her the possibility of having the relationship she thought she had in their childhood, instead she doubles down on the farce and blames Silvers mother figure and all of his friends for "taking him away" (And sides with the slavers by implication).

More time passes, Silver meets Pepe and she joins his crew. Pepe is actually a CP0 agent and is deceiving Silver and abusing his trust. Pepe eventually betrays Silver, some anons then somehow think this is comparable to Silver's revelation to Mary. Silver (Anons) then gets apologetic to Mary over this.

Do you see where im coming from? How are Mary's feelings worthy of consideration under these circumstances? How could Silver's actions here ever be considered "messed up"?
>>
I actually don't know how to explain it better then I have, but I'll give it a shot.
It isn't about Mary. It is about Silver. About what he considers right or wrong. So stop trying to make it a decision about their entire backstory and relationship instead of the very simple "I didn't realize how badly that hurt" it literally isn't anything more then that. Don't try to make it more then that to fit a narrative.

And yea, I do think it is comparable. "I thought you were family" followed not only by rejection, but an actual breakdown. Full stop, no further explanation, thought or deep dive required.
>>
>>5333653

It's been perfectly clear, it just hasn't made sense.

>It isn't about Mary. It is about Silver. About what he considers right or wrong.
Ok... nothing wrong so far.

>So stop trying to make it a decision about their entire backstory and relationship instead of the very simple "I didn't realize how badly that hurt" it literally isn't anything more then that. Don't try to make it more then that to fit a narrative.
But Im not making it about anything, Im simply laying out that there is nothing in this entire story that merits the stance that I think you and others are advocating. And Im not talking about Silver understanding how she felt but about him NOT being sympathetic and apologetic to her about that.

>And yea, I do think it is comparable. "I thought you were family" followed not only by rejection, but an actual breakdown. Full stop, no further explanation, thought or deep dive required.
And that similarity is superficial in relation to, again, Silver being sympathetic and apologetic to Mary about that. How are her hurt feelings worthy of consideration under the circumstances? They simply do not merit sympathy or contempt but only understanding and I think Silver would also think that way. That's why I've been arguing about it.

As the three agents manage to get back on their feet they start shaking their heads in order to clear it.
"Did you hear that?"

"Yes agent Saturn. It appears that we have a problem. Soir Bleu. Care to repeat that?"

Clown begins furiously waving her hands around.
"I-It was just a slip of the tongue chief! An honest mistake! I was just undercover too long!"

"Hmmm. Well in that case prepare yourself and assist us."

"Uwhat? That was not the plan!"

"The plan failed. Thanks to your blunder Cavalier is in high spirits again. Without his confusion you are no longer useful as bait. We must surround him and take him down with superior numbers. But make no mistake, you will face judgment for jeopardizing this mission!"

"I-I-"

"HEY! WEENERS!"
You crack your knuckles one after the other and loud enough to make sure they can hear it.
"I don't know who you think you are but if you talk to my crew like that your spanking will be thorough and merciless!"

"Correct. You don't know who we are. We're members of Cipher Pol Aegis Zero. The hand of the Celestial Dragons. We are instruments of their divine will and the doom of those foolish enough to think they can oppose the gods of this world. Those that defy their will face swift death, if they are lucky. Those that truly earn their ire will be enslaved and suffer greatly. But you? Your blasphemy goes beyond even that. You earned the wrath of the dragons. If you fall here today you'll be subjected to pain beyond your comprehension. You will suffer because they demand it and you will only know relief when they allow it. As you'll find out not even death is above the gods. But even if you triumph, know that you'll never know rest. We'll be in your shadow. Always. Watching, waiting for that perfect opportunity to hurt you. One by one everything you hold near and dear to your heart will be defiled and destroyed. There will be no relief for you. Every moment of your miserable life you'll have to wonder when and how we'll hurt you next. Whether we succeed or not is irrelevant. But you WILL fail."

"SNOOOOOOOOOORE."

"D-Did he fall asleep?"

"He does that."

Saturn charges and with his shigan prepares to pierce your skull. His hand is however stopped by a wing sprouting from your back which wraps itself around his arm. The bubble of snot that grew from your nose bursts and you wake up.
"YAWN! Sorry about that. I just don't care when tools think they are people and threaten me."
Saturn grunts and tries to pull his arm free, even going so far as to punch and kick you to let him go. But it's no use.
"You see, Marines are barely people. They are more like doggies that do as they are told. But you? You're just tools. Not even alive. Someone like Clown is wasted on you!"

"Hey Clown!"

"H-Huh?!"

"Quite Clowning around and come mope up these guys with me!"

"F-Fool! I am not on your side! This is not wacky woohoo pirate time! This is a foolish time where you will die you foolish pirate!"
As Clown starts shouting the third agent points at you from a distance, which prompts Bleu to scream.
"WATCH OUT!"
You hear the muffled sound of a gun firing and jerk your head to the side just quick enough to feel the invisible bullet of air dart past you. As it hits the wall behind you and leaves a distinct hole all three agents look at their fellow.
"E-Eh? Why?"

Without a word the third, unknown agent lunges at her and attempts to pierce her heart which prompts you to transform into a tiny bat and fly over to intercept her. Kicking her finger away with your leg you start flying in front of Pepe to safeguard her from any further attempts.
"W-Wait! Why are you attacking me?"

"Traitor."
The agent speaks up and just now do you realize that it's not a burly man but a rather large, deep voiced woman.

"I'm not a traitor!"

"Then you're an incompetent buffoon who fell under the sway of pirates after being undercover. And now you persist in your folly instead of presenting yourself for execution so that at least you may die with dignity!"
She thrusts her palm forward with all five fingers pointing forward. You see her fingers elongate under that glove of hers and draw a miniature version of Argent with your leg to swipe it away.

"Kekeke!"

Sparks fly off at the point of contact as the agent reels back.
"ARGH! Curse you!"

"Stuuupid!"

"What?"

"You say all that stuff but can't even see that I'm the one protecting her? She hasn't lifted a finger yet! Kekeke!"

"Doesn't matter. Her complacence is guilt. Now you both will perish."

"Perish this!"
With the other leg you pull Parley off your back and fire a pepper corn sized bullet at the agents face. Though diminutive the bullet is fast enough to deal significant damage and hard enough to follow so that the agent couldn't react to it in time. It hits the mask of the woman and you see the whole thing shatter, revealing her face.

"You-"
She growls at you and you see her body bulking up and getting hairier by the moment. She throws off her coat to reveal her black and white fur alongside her prominent fangs and impressive claws. Her eyes are bloodshot red as she growls at you.
"I WILL TEAR YOU APART-"

BANG

An invisible bullet chips her ear.
"Damn. Missed."

"YOU!"

"CLOWN!"

"Don't get ahead of yourself pirate. It seems my colleagues lost their minds and want to kill me. This is just self defense. Also just so you know, she's a honey badger."

"Wow! Thanks Clown!"

"AND STOP CALLING ME THAT!"

>>
>>5337774
If clown really does end up rejoining the crew she better cut this tsundere shit out right away, like even usopp had to get on his hands and knees and apologize b4 rejoining the straw hats so if clown just gets a free pass after literally betraying and trying to kill us will feel really weird
>>
>>5337801
Eh, fuck that noise, I don't believe in apologies.
>>
>>5337802
So you'd be cool with clown rejoining after literally stabbing us in the back with no kind of consequence to her at all? like shes put silver through shit, like personally i don't even want her to rejoin at all but if she does the least she needs to do is show some remorse iMO
>>
>>5337801
I agree that she needs to apologies and not just to us but she hurt the whole crew and I think they should have a say in what happens. She should still tsuntsun though just with a bit more dere, that shit is kawaii.
>>
>>5337806
Just being in the crew is consequence enough, what with being constanty getting in big fights and living in the ship and whatnot. If she can put up with it, good for her. If the crew wants to punish her, they can so long as they don't go too far. If she wants to apologize, she can, no one has to tell her.
>>
>>5337813
The thing is, thats just letting her walk all over us, like it just shows she can do whatever she wants to harm us and we'll never do anything about it, just take full advantage of us with no consequence, and i think silver should have atleast enough self respect to not be ok with that, like we'd be on some straight baby 5 shit on getting taken advantage of
>>
"RANKYAKU!"

"Rankyaku!"

The two ladies both do the same move and clash violently. Though Clown seem to be struggling because she has no devil fruit of her own she still seems capable of holding her own against her.
"So you really decided to turn your back on the gods! I must admit Soir Bleu. I was hoping you'd do something stupid like that!"

"YOU ARE THE ONE WHO ATTACKED ME MORON!"

They break the lock and it looks like the honey badger lady has an edge over Clown in not only strength but speed as well. But the little clown has a few tricks up her sleeve. After taking a moment to exhale she focuses herself and goes limber.
"Kamie: Clown Dance."

It appears as if Pepe is randomly running around the place, doing cartwheels, backflips and other acrobatics which seem like a gross waste of energy. But her opponent simply can't touch her. Indeed, for the trained observer it's clear that her fluid movements are all deliberate dodges strung together so seamlessly it appears like a dance.
"GRRR! STOP BUZZING AROUND!"

"Hmph. Zoans. I hate zoans."
From her leotard Pepe pulls out a piece of playing card and imbues it with Haki before thrusting her whole arm forward with it and locking her muscles.
"Tekkai: Axe of Spades!"
The paper card manages to almost split the badger womans finger in half down the middle. Almost. Though it's still very clearly painful.

"WHOOO! CLOWN!"

"WATCH OUT!"

Looking around you realize that you're surrounded from all sides by waves of golden honey that move like the tentacles of a great octopus. They wrap around your body and slither to cover your mouth. The honey has been infused with armament, making it as heavy as lead and nearly impossible to break out of. The leader of the squad orders Saturn to move with a nod while he points his other hand at you to double the amount of honey that he can throw at you.
"Soir Bleu may have become a traitor but it appears her reports are still useful. It's not so easy using either heat or sound when you're cut off from air, is it Cavalier?"
>>
As the honey fully covers you Saturn takes off his gloves.
"All this action and betrayal really activates ones fight or flight response. And brother. I'm a flightless bird."
He also turns out to be a zoan user. An emperor penguin.
"Rankyaku: Biting Blizzard!"
He swipes so hard with his flipper that it conjures up a cold wind that instantly freezes the honey.
"Enjoy your bonemarrow freezing over."

The sound of cracking ice can be heard as an orange glow starts permeating the block of frozen honey. With a big flex you manage to shatter the whole thing, causing chunks of frozen honey to fly all over the place.
"Phew. That was cold."
You climb out of your frozen prison.
"You know, you're pretty good. It's a shame I can't have my fun."

"What?"

"You know, I came here pretty angry about the whole Clown thing-"
Pepe listens to you carefully.
"-and even though I'm glad she changed her mind that feeling is still here. So prepare yourselves. Because I swear that I'm not gonna enjoy this one bit."

You take a deep breath and close your eye in deep introspection. Once you manage to focus yourself you slowly open your eye and the two CP0 agents seem genuinely confused. A deep, uncharacteristic expression of sorrow and melancholy sits on your face. It is as if you feel a deep, painful regret for what you're about to do to them. It takes but one blink for that expression to turn around and for you to growl with teeth bared and eye roiling with blood. The mound of frozen gold begins to rumble and like a volcano that gently awakened from its long slumber erupts with what appear to be a thick mist of blackness.

"Chief? Any idea of what we're looking at?"

"None."

The rumbling get louder until you disappear in a flash and run past the two agent. The gust of wind that follows you makes them turn around just as you punch the stone wall of the fort. Like a wet finger through a paper tissue your fist went through the rock.

"He missed?"

"No Saturn. Look. Sand!"

The wall itself begins to roar and shake with cracks appearing all over it. With a swipe you break your arm free and bring down a good chunk of the semi eroded wall right on top of the CP0 agents. Chunks tone and a rain of and threatens to consume them. The agents jump around on the falling debris to get to safety. Once they make it above the wave they look down and Saturn seeks to attack you but his honeyed superior stops him.

"No. See that?"

"What the?"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsQHIWp8O7U

What they assumed to be some sort of trick of the light or perhaps a hallucination conjured by a terrified mind turned out to be a very real and tangible thing. The black fog seems to be oozing from your body as you continue standing and snarling there. Suddenly the fighting comes to a full stop as nobody is quite sure what you're doing. Continuing to growl and snarl you start drooling profusely as your teeth grow until they no longer fit in your mouth. With the hair on your body turning into a thick fur coat you roar which causes the room to shake. Pulling your fist back you crack your fingers before slamming them into the wall again. This new knuckle print that you left is much, much bigger than the last. And it's growing still.

After pulling back your fist you let out another roar which seems to be undercut by a high pitched screech which makes even the CP0 agents cover their ears. The marine above in the control room has his ears bleeding as the glass windows of the chamber explode. The wall which you punched seem to resonate with the sound of your voice and explodes, tearing a hole into the forts wall big enough for a giant to go through it.

"CHIEF!"

"H-His Devil Fruit has gone berserk! We need to get out of here! HONEY!"

The badger woman stops holding her ears and kicks Clown away before rushing up to her two comrades.
"WHAT?!"

"Mission aborted! We'll try again later!"

"Have you lost your mind?"

"No but he has! With any luck he'll butcher a few of his own! But we can't fight that!"

Without any time wasted they rush to the hole that you just punched into the fort. They manage to get past the towering six limbed beast that you've become even though you could hear them clearly as you're simply too lost in its animalistic rage. But when they got past you instinctively reach after them. The puddle of black hair that formed under your feet rushes after them, carried by vibrations in the air and they explode in a violent inferno that attempts to swallow them whole. Saturn turns around and using both his hands swipes down to form a wall of ice to protect them. It works like a charm and like a bullet from a rifle they get fired outward, beyond your senses and beyond your attention. But with them gone you turn around to the only living thing in your vicinity. And you snarl at it.

"S-Silver?"

considering they were all to happy to try and kill Clown for not following orders, right away, without any hesitation I can't imagine their superiors being happy with them bungling it this bad.
Now Lucci on the other hand, my oh my, did we just accidentally hand him the opportunity to be the golden boy, all he needs to do is "try" and preferably get a bit injured doing so and then he can blame his inevitable retreat on the others legging it.

The beast howls as its prey escapes. Its baleful voice pursues the escaping assassins of the gods and it carries with itself enough power to make them stop to cover their ears. Yet despite its ability to not only halt their escape and to catch them with ease the monster does not pursue them any more than that. This creature of mindless rage cares not for personal grudges nor any logical reason to chase after the escaping rats. It only craves mindless destruction and knows that sooner or later they'll be the ones next on the chopping block. More importantly there is prey equally as valid right here, its racing heartbeat alerts the monster like the buzzing of a fly. It turns and looks at clown with its sole, blank eye.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKkizg0NuK8

"Heh. Shit."
Pepe looks up, hoping to find some way to distract the beast. But the commander of this fort, who controlled the blast door is no longer visible in the control room. He's either dead or unconscious after the furious monsters screech. She knows she's in a bad spot and even with all the training she received to control her emotional state she can't help but panic. Knowing who that monster is and what happened to him is enough to shake the even the most stalwart of minds. She has no way to hide. And only one way to get out of this alive.
"Well? What are you waiting for? I'm here! COME ON!"

The bat monster shrieks and charges Bleu with feral rage. It raises its massive fist in order to utterly destroy her body until nothing but a smear remains. Clown knows that she has no hope of stopping it but with a bit of luck she can make use of it. Taking a deep breath she jumps in the air and goes limber. Her body slides out of the way like a swaying leaf in the wind. The beasts fist hits the blast door behind her and goes through like a finger through wet paper. But it being a dumb animal it does not realize that it needs to unclench its fist to pull it free. So rather it pulls with all its might and tears the blast door out the wall whole. That door was meant to contain any explosion that may go off in this ammo depot turned arena so even though it does it with relative ease the monster still needs a few moments to tear it to shreds, giving Clown the perfect opportunity to slip out.

"SORU!"
Hearing its prey escape the beast looks in Pepes direction and gives chase.

There was a contingent of Marines stationed on the other side of the door. Their job was to finish off Cavalier should the CP-0 agents fail. As soon as they saw the monster appearing they opened fire without hesitation. Horns blared and series of small explosives went off which were meant to distract and confuse Silver. The beast did not care. The hall filled with gas which forced out oxygen and would choke out not just his flames but the pirate himself. They didn't account for the hole the monster tore in the fort. They fired volley after volley of specialized ammunition meant to slow down or cause as much pain to the target as possible. But the hide of the bat was covered upon layers and layers of hair like spring steel. Together they formed weaves of steel that alone would've been sufficient at absorbing all the energy of the bullets. But the ammunition never even touched it. For its outlines were blurry and ephemeral. Those with observation haki could see their bullets crumbling to dust just a moment before impact. Every hair on the beast was vibrating and they ground the projectiles up into a metallic mist. They stood no chance. They couldn't even slow it down.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!"
Clown ran as fast as she could. The awakened devil inside Silver and its abhorrence for life terrified her beyond explanation. She needed to find something, ANYTHING to halt it even for a second.
"YES!"
And she found it.
"ROB LUCCI!"

The three agents who were brought here so the others could gloat in their face were now running towards the sound of chaos. They abruptly came to a stop when they saw agent Soir Bleu and the abomination chasing after her.
"Oy oy! What the devil is that?!"

Lucci smiled.
"It's what I saw in my nightmares every night for the past two years! And you doubted me."

"Well-"
Kaku drew his swords.
"Sorry for jerkin' your chain then. Orders chief?"

"Survive."
Lucci prepared for battle, as did Mary standing beside him.
"Soir Bleu! I hope you-"
But the woman in the clown outfit did not stop to talk to him. She did not even bother to respond.

"D-Did she just run the fuck away?!"

"Typical. The failures mess up and now it's our job to clean up after them. Listen! We'll try killing him! But out objective is survival! If it looks hopeless we make a break for it! Understood?"

Meanwhile you are stuck in a prison of your own body. The sensation is like when you're submerged in water. Weak, powerless. The only difference is that it feels like the water is on the inside. Like every cell of your body was flooded with it and not only did it paralyze you but it's actively controlling you. You can't move, not the way you want to anyway. But you can see. See what your body is doing without your approval. It mindlessly destroys anything that lives or moves and it's chasing after Clown. With a voiceless scream you cry out for it to stop but it refuses. But now it stopped for some reason. It spotted Rob Lucci, Kaku and Mary standing in its way. It hesitates. It may sound desperate but if you put every ounce of willpower behind it then maybe, just maybe you could steer or nudge this thing in the direction of your choosing. Lucci, Mary and Kaku may be able to overwhelm you, or at the very least injure you enough to slow you down. But that would risk you accidentally hurting Mary. Pursuing Clown will likely lead you to the others. But if you catch Clown that'd be disastrous.

It's a stupid thing that only wants to kill things and break shit, so force it to rampage in the opposite direction. As the beast stands around frothing at the mouth Kaku speaks to Lucci while not averting his eyes for even a split second.
"It's not moving. Why isn't it moving?"

"I don't know. But no matter what do not drop your guards!"

Inside you are focusing as much as you can on moving this behemoth. The fact that it stopped probably means you succeeded in at least distracting it a little. But you can already feel its rage bubbling to the surface. It won't hold for much longer. So rather than trying to hold it back anymore you try getting it to pay attention where you want. You're not sure where Clown is going but if she's going to get the others you'll need to buy her all the time you can get. From your constant bugging the beast turns its sole eye at Lucci, Kaku and Mary. And as it feels your grasp slipping it gets more and more agitated, eager to continue unleashing violence.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB7sOSTkcDM

"SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

"Ooooh lordy!"
Kaku transforms into a half-giraffe and Lucci dons his leopard form as they realize the thing is starting to move.

"Here it comes!"

"Let's get this over with!"

Kaku is the first one who makes a move by stepping forward.
"Stand back kiddos. Let's see just how tough this little rascal really is."
Lifting his whole body up with one arm he begins spinning around using his massive neck to gain extra momentum.
"Rankyaku: Amane Dachi!"
With the added speed he shoots out a wave of slicing wind that expands until the entire hallway is bathed in its white light and the walls of the tunnel are swallowed by it.

"THE HELL IS THAT?!"
Mary looks at this display of raw power with awe.

"Amane Dachi. Kaku developed it back on Enies Lobby the day he got his devil fruit. Back then it could cut a tower in half. Now that he's stronger and practiced it he can cleave islands in half."

The roaring wave rushes towards the beast and it lets out what almost sounds like a snort as it gets on all fours. With both arms and legs on the ground it points its wings forward. When it touches the Amane Dachi grasps it with its wingtips. After all a slicing gust of wind is not at all different from the sound waves it wields as naturally as it breathes. The Rankyaku stops dead and with a simple motion it rips the attack in half, splitting it down the middle to reveal Kakus eyes trembling with dark realizations.
>>
"Y-Yontoryu-"
Kaku readies his swords but by the time he pulled them back to take a swing the beast was already looming over him with its fist raised and swinging downward.
"Tekkai!"

Kaku was smashed through the floor and to a level below. The beast looked down the hole for a moment before stepping over it and slowly lumbering towards the remaining two prey. As it did so however the giraffe-man jumped back through the hole. Despite the blood trickling down his face he's ready to plunge his swords into the beasts hide. Jumping on the shoulders of the bat he stabs both blades under the monsters ribs. This attack prompted a shriek of pain from the creature.
"NOW!"

Lucci and Mary charged as the bat attempted to tear Kaku off of it. With his hybrid form Lucci put the left hand of the foe in a bind and stabbed his five clawed fingers in its side. He grinned as he pushed his arm further in. This is the moment he's been dreaming of for two years and he knows the only way to put Cavalier down is by inflicting so much damage on him in an instant that not even his bestial vitality will keep him alive.
"MARY! NOW!"

With the freak paralyzed by pain Mary jumped up until she was at the height of the creatures torso. Taking a moment to center herself she applied all the principles of Rokushiki at once on her entire body and used it to draw her Armament Haki out of her body and into her foe.
"Final Ring: Heartstopper Rokuogun!"
A blast shot out of her palms as she thrust them at the bats chest. It ceased all sound as all the force emitted centered around its heat, crushing it forever.
"Goodbye. Brother..."

As Mary shed a tear and started falling to the ground she noticed something that made her gasp. The monster was looking down at her. With very much alive eyes. The next moment she saw Lucci and Kaku being violently repulsed away from the monster and an instant later she was struck by the same explosion of sound that emanated from the monsters body. A half second later all three agents were lying face first in the dirt with Lucci and Kaku reverted to their human forms. The beast carelessly walked past them as the superficial wounds they inflicted on it closed on their own.
>>
The monster intuitively sought out more prey to obliterate. But for some reason what few marines were in the way that it was going were running the hell away from it well before it arrived. As if someone warned them of the danger. So without any further bloodshed it arrived in a large, open area that looks like some place where the marines practice fighting every day. In the middle stands Murray with the chain of his trusty anchor grasped with both hands.
"Hello captain. Looks like you had a rough day. You should rest."

"SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

"I wasn't asking."
He throws his anchor at the bat which catches it. For a moment it looks at the heavy object in its grasp but it promptly slips out of its fingers. Confused the beast shakes its hand.
"Not enough huh? Sure would've been nice..."

The monster takes off towards the fishmen when suddenly a crossbow bolt with a bomb tied to it darts past it. The explosive doesn't do a big kaboom, instead it flashes brightly and unleashes an ear splitting noise. It doesn't take long for the bat to recover from it though and it immediately looks at Lyda who's riding Wills shoulders.
"Uh-oh!"

"DON'T LET UP!"
From another direction Clowns words echo.
"Keep distracting it!"

"TRAITOR BITCH! DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!"
Sliding between the bats legs Marcella hits one of its knees and jams dozens of hooks under its kneecaps.
"Fuck me he's a tough one!"

As the monster looks down and readies a fist to squash Marcella like a bug pillars of glass erupt from its shoulder as a spear hits it. The hunk of obsidian weighs down its hand and binds it to the ground. It tries to break the glass with its other hand but that one gets bound by spider silk. It tries to open its mouth to roar but Omukade rushes up and hits it in the jaw with his Hasshoken, numbing it. Murray throws his anchor forward so it ties around one of its wings and it goes limp. Nutmeg runs past it and slices up the tendons of its legs. And finally Greki is switched in by Lyda who smashes down on the relatively small bat with his hammer. They all wonder if it's over yet until Tiny's hammer starts shaking. The blacksmiths tool is wrenched from his hand and then used to beat him and everyone else up in the vicinity. Only Will, Lyda and Clown were far enough to not be within reach.

"W-What should we do?!"

"If we go at him any harder than that he might die!"

"Nothing... there is nothing to be done. He'll keep going until everything on this island dies. Or his life force runs out."
Soir Bleu looks at Will.
"Gather the others and get out of here. I'll buy some time."

"B-But-"

"GO! I'll distract him!"
Jumping down Clown calls out to Silver.
"HEY! I'm here! You're looking for me are you not?!"
The monsters bloodshot eye snaps in Clowns direction.
"Well... here I am."
>>
The monster gets a hold of Clown and wraps its fingers around her whole body. She gets lifted up as the monster roars at her. Clearly terrified from the uncontrollable abomination she shakes like a leaf even as she tries to project an air of confidence.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB7sOSTkcDM

"Go ahead... kill me. But do it slowly. I want to do at least this right."
The beast falters.
"I envied you. You know? Why do these pirates get to do as they please when I don't? What did they ever do? I served the gods. But I was a slave. And when I saw how much joy you have... I was jealous of it. But only after I left did I realize how much I enjoyed being part of it. I was a nobody again, a tool that was meant to behave and obey. With you I was Clown. The best musician in the world. It was a fun dream while it lasted. But then I betrayed you. I betrayed that unconditional trust and love of yours. I'm sorry. But don't forgive me. Just let me atone."
She closes her eyes and lets out a tear of mixed emotions.
"Yo-hohoho, Yo-hohoho-"

Did we just ignore seastone?
Can silver swim in this mode?
Maybe wrap ourselves in a sound bubble?
>>
>>5347186
Not "ignore"
More like "resist a bit"
It still sapped Silvers strength to the point that it slipped out of his hand but not enough to turn it off
>>
>>5347187
So your saying we need to get jaws a seastone chain
>>
"Yo-hohoho, Yo-hohoho
Binkusu no sake wo, todoke ni yuku yo
Umikaze kimakase namimakase
Shio no mukou de, yuuhi mo sawagu
Sora nya wa o kaku, tori no uta~"

You finally manage to get back to your senses after what felt like an eternity spent in that fleshy cage. Your eye regains its shine, instead of the dimmed almost feral look that it had before.

"Sayonara minato, Tsumugi no sato yo
DON to icchou utao, funade no uta
Kinpa-ginpa mo shibuki ni kaete
Oretacha yuku zo, umi no kagiri
Binkusu no sake wo, todoke ni yuku yo
Warera kaizoku, umi watteku"

Continuing to stare at Clown you tilt your head wondering why she had stopped.

"H-Hey. What are you waiting for?"
She sniffles.
"Do it!"

You put her down on the ground and release your hold on her as delicately as you can manage with the awkwardness that comes from this strange and unknown body of yours. She stares at you awkwardly as you sit down in front of her. Again you cock your head at her and she seems to get what you're trying to say because she resumes the song and keeps at it until she finishes. When she's done she looks up and sees that you've returned to your regular form.
"W-What? Why are you smiling?"

"You remembered my request!"

"I... just wanted to sing it once. So... you're okay?"

"I guess."

"W-What now?"

"I don't know. What should I call you? Soir Bleu?"

"N-No. I think Pepe is good."

"Pepe le Bleu. Got it."
You get back up and pat her on the head.
"Welcome to the crew Pepe."

"W-WAIT!"

"Hmmm?"

"J-Just that? What do you mean you'll forgive me just like that?!"

"Yeah. You said you want to be free. Come with us. I'll make you. And then we'll find you a dream. And all I ask is that you keep being the best musician in the world for me!"
>>
And that is it for today
Sorry for shit being short
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to insert options into Silvers berserker rage
Anyway I'll see you guys on Saturday with a proper sesh
See you then

And don't worry about it, ths was good shit

Thanks for running boss, and yea, I can see why this would be a bloody difficult scenario to run rather then just turn into a giant omake.

But there were a lot of little neat things tucked away. Mary called us brother.

Eh gotta admit not really a fan of the whole clown redemption thing, it just feels really forced i suppose? like she just seemingly went from being 100% on board with killing us to being all "omg im so sorry and i genuinely loved you guys actually" like it feels if we were gonna go this angle the scene where she betrays us and tries to kill us the reason we manage to get away is because clown hesitates somehow, but nope she was fully on board with murdering us then and all the way til we turnt into a giant monster, idk it just seems kinda forced and cliche IMO
>>
>>5347310
This is how mistakes are made though. People do what they think they want and quickly realize that no. They preferred how it was before the bungled everything up. Few people can turn around and actually beg for things to go back to the way it was before. And sure this felt a little rushed. But I can see how this would actually be a thing that happened. I do want to see Silver be completely bed ridden for days/weeks though. This should have taxed him greatly. I fully expected him to collapse immediately after this rampage was over.
>>
>>5347393
Yeah but the thing is there was 0 sign of hesitation from her or any doubts at all, like one moment shes completely on board the "murder silver" train and thens suddenly off it, and overall its just kinda cliche like we literally haven't really done anything to endear ourselves to the clown other than just saying "freedom good" and thats just broken an entire life of brainwashing, i actually thought the angle that it seemed to be going would be that clown would go off on her own after getting attacked by CP0 and we'd then have then get the oppurtunity to encounter her later on in the story after shes gone on some journeys of her own and had character developement, which i think would be interesting, but overall here it just feels like we've speedrunned her entire arc, idk it just kinda feels like this entire arc is just going at like mach 5, like after clown betrayed us i thought we'd have to spend awhile trying to track her down and during it we'd really go in-depth of how its affected silver and how our other crew reacted, but we just got betrayed, right away found her and now kissed and made up
>>
>>5347432
Do remember that the crew hasn't necessarily forgiven her, only Silver, I think it'll be interesting to see how Clown earns forgiveness from the rest of our crew.
>>
>>5347444
Yeah theres still potential drama here but ultimately the aftermath of a betrayal arc is just the cherry on top of the entire thing, but still feels like the main arc itself just went by too fast, like as i said b4 if we did it where it took abit to find clowns location we could have also potentially gotten a clown omake where she settles back in to the CP0 life and realizes she doesn't find as much satisfaction in it as she remembered and missing things about the crew, which would make the sudden "im sorry pls forgive me" thing feel abit more natural, and as also stated we'd get a more in-depth look at how each individual member of our crew reacted to it, cause as stated i think my biggest problem is this just feels so rushed, like we're just going through the important motions of a betrayal arc without the time in-between to let them sink in, cause like rn if say we were to put this in like how many episodes it'd take in an anime or something it'd be like 3, with 1 of them just being at the very end when the clown betrayal is used as a cliff hanger, then 1 to find her and then confront her with it leaving off after silvers talk with lucci as he walks into the room clown is in and then the final being this
>>
>>5347432
I like it, I think there's still progress to be had, this is just a new start. It was an akward reconciliation, that's how it should be. Both Silver and Clown are being pushed in ways they never had before, but they still try to meet eye to eye and find new things about themselves, I dunno it's good drama.
>>
>>5347469
Don't get me wrong, i don't think its destined to be bad from here on, like the rest of this entire plot has potential to still be great if the crew, clown and silver are handled well, but just talking about what we've already had, and got to be honest, in general i think ever since the straw hats have come back the quest has been really directionless, like atm silver has no goal he's striving for, besides his vague goals, rn he's not trying to fight any yonkos, not trying to get to laughtale not trying to amass power or anything we're just lazily drifting from island to island picking up and doing side quests that don't really have any importance, im just hoping the quest gets back on abit more of a firm direction with a solid goal during the wholecake island arc, since silver will 100% be part of that arc
>>
>>5347472
I felt that way pre-sabaody, I think by now it's just par with the course. That's the formula, fuck around untl the plot alarm sounds.
>>
>>5347475
Yeah but even pre-sabaody we had to goal of just "get to new world" but rn we don't even have that, we need something serious to happen that will make silver go "ok we're doing this" something like killing 1 of the yonko, destroy the revolutionary army, recruit enough ppl to attack mariejois again and completely burn it to the ground or hell even go to laughtale just so we can say we did, just some sort of firm goal that it feels like we're building too instead of just drifting from island to island
>>
>>5347480
I mean, getting the one piece is still the main objective of the whole manga, it's in the op even, and Silver's competitiveness when faced with Luffy means that yeah he probably wants to find laughtale even if he doesn't say it outloud all the time. We just gotta find an actual lead
>>
>>5347480
If I'm remembering correctly. we're around the Tea Party Arc, so I imagine we'll be getting an invite to that wedding soon if we havent already. Aside from that there's punk hazard which we could go to to help Gu stela and refine Cesear's work on poision or maybe help Lydia somehow. Can also talk w/ marcella about how she feels now that she's gotten her revenge on Bege. Maybe go back to Wano and try to master Advanced Conquerers, Armarment , and train future sight with Katakuri while at the party.
>>
>>5347486
We can hear poneglyphs, though idk if silver connects the dots between them or not. I know we found the one at skypeia and the one on fishman island, i think we need a few more?
>>
>>5347492
I mean none of those things are really big term goals, they're just things to do, and on the topic of the one piece silvers never shown any desire to be the king of the pirates or said anything in reference to trying to read big moms road poneglyph, which i think he knows are needed to find it, i think nutmeg said thats what they were for to him, so the fact he's shown no interest in trying to find them says to me he doesn't care about going to laughtale atm
>>
>>5347493
we need to read the road poneglyphs if we want to go to laughtale, all the other poneglyphs are pretty much just history lessons

Wat

>Bleu, come help kill him now!
>B-but that wasn't the plan!
>Do it!
>I-I....
Also what do you mean we haven't "done anything to endear ourselves" literally from the start Silver decided to trust her, do whatever he could and straight up pushed for her to tell her what she wanted out of life so that he could get it for her.

I think Spooks has remained internally consistent but I also wouldn't have said no to things being dragged out for the sake of pic related
>>
>>5347650
What i mean is that we haven't done anything particularly special, and you'd think being heavily indoctrinated into a cult and getting specific training for espionage and spying would make it harder to have an agent flip from just bare basic kindness, like its not like a situation happened where clown was gonna die or anything and we want out of our way to save her we just did the bare minimum and somehow its broken through her entire cult indoctrination and training, as for the hesitation aspect, she sure as hell didn't when she intially betrayed us, since im pretty sure she was the person going heavy on trying to kill us there and then but it was the other agent who convinced her to retreat after our conquerors burst
>>
>>5347863
They're happy to abandon an agent to be a slave in the mines for the rest of his life, and are then going to punish him for being rescued.

They're bringing agents along for the sole purpose of humiliating and belittling them

Ambition, initiative and success isn't even particularly rewarded

Any failure, doubt or hesitation is viciously punished and your immediate superior has the right to execute you on the spot, on his discretion and if you don't join in you're next.
And this is just from what we've seen right now, on this island. Don't even have to mention the risks of pissing off one of the dragons, or even worse having one of them say "Congratulations, you shall be my personal buttboy from now on"

Quite frankly I find it eminently reasonable that the moment anyone gets away from his horrorshow of an organization/cult they start developing doubts or even dreams of getting out of there and the only thing making them come back is the simple combination of not having anywhere else to go, and being hunted for the rest of your life.

Silver does provide a downright convenient solution to both of these issues.
We might not have done much, by normal standards, but to someone who seems to have been treated like absolute and utter garbage, threatened and beaten into subservience then sent out to do the same to others... And then the madman comes and instead of straight up murdering everything in sight like you'd expect he asks what she wanted. Respect on top of affection and friendship.
Yea. I totally get why she'd want out, and she didn't expect to live.
She expected us to treat her like CP0 did and kill her for what she did... And suddenly I dare say that conversation she had with Murray a while back makes a *lot* more sense now.
>>
If all goes well I'll be able to continue tomorrow and wrap this up properly

I regret to say this but something came up again and I am unable to run today as well
Given the frequency with which this seems to be happening and due to my upcoming summer vacation I think I'll take roughly a month long break from questing until things normalize again
I'll post at least a week in advance both on Twatter and Shitcord when I'll resume

I'll also take this time to try and comb through the Character Sheet and Social Links. It's been a while.

Also if inspiration strikes me I may start a thread where I'll post some omakes but that's a big if

Anyway here are links for both Twitter and Discird for those who want it
