You groan as you slowly shuffle out of bed, if today was anything like yesterday you knew that it wasn't going to be worth waking up at... you stopped, frozen in place as you realized that your room was different. You then realized that not only was your room different... you felt like you were shorter too! "Wh...at?" you croaked out as you looked at your hands, your voice wasn't your own, nor were your hands, they were a slightly different color and their shape was different enough to immediately alarm you. "What the hell is going on?!" you shouted, panic spiraling through your mind as you tried to grasp the situation. Was this a dream or a hallucination, perhaps?

You tried to recall information from your head about what you had been doing just before going to sleep... only to receive two conflicting accounts, and you quickly realized that you had two sets of memories! "But... how?" you once again asked, not really expecting to receive an answer but still being disappointed when one never came. You got up and got dressed, one set of your memories telling you that it's a school day, so you put on a really weirdly familiar school uniform from your wardrobe... you hadn't really deep dived into the other set of memories yet, so you didn't really know just who you really were or what you were like. With that in mind you picked up a small mirror that had been left on your desk in order to get a better look at yourself.

"Huh...?" a boy with blue eyes, blue seaweed like hair and a face permanently set in a smug punchable expression stared back at you, and you finally realized just who the boy was... and just who you had somehow become. "I'm... Shinji?!" You yelled in disbelief before realizing how terrible an idea it would be to let anybody know what has happened, you didn't know how you ended up in this situation, or why you're in the body of one of your least favorite fictional characters, but you knew that if other people in this world found out about you, you'd be quickly strapped to an operating table and dissected by the closest associate of the Mage's Association looking to find whatever secret allowed this oddity to occur. You closed your eyes and focused, trying to suppress the building panic within your body as you realized what a god damn fucking terrible situation you had found yourself in. It was obviously far too late for you to do anything about the awful things Shinji already did, but you... didn't want to think about them too much right now.

Suddenly, a knock at the door alerted you, and you prepared yourself to leap out of the window, your fear of Zouken was immense right now, but... "Master. Are you OK?" it was the disinterested voice of a woman, and one you knew even without needing to rely upon Shinji's memories. You knew that you couldn't let Rider know that something was wrong, so you quickly swallowed your apprehension and thought of a good thing to say.
>>
"Yes, Rider, I'm fine... I just stubbed my toe on a shelf," you quickly lied to the Servant, not wanting to arouse any suspicion, even from her. Shinji... or you suppose, you, had asked the woman to remain guard directly outside of your room, apparently not wanting her watching him as he slept.

"I see," the disinterested woman quickly accepted your excuse before going back to guarding the door in silence... you looked into Shinji's memories, you didn't know exactly when the grail war was meant to begin, but it was a Wednesday, the date itself was... January 28th 2004... damn it, they don't have smartphones back in this era, do they?

Lack of smartphones aside, you immediately started to piece together what you could remember about Fate/Stay Night to try to survive the coming days... Sakura had only just summoned Rider yesterday, so you were too late to try to interfere with the ritual to get a different Servant, not that you thought you'd be able to get anybody who'd be useful, and especially not with your apparently non-existent magic circuits. Back to what really mattered, you started to think... if this truly was the world of Fate/Stay Night, the chances that Shinji Matou survives the grail war... were fairly minimal, there was only one ending in which you would survive, and you really didn't want to chance that. You really found yourself starting to regret that you never really delved all that deeply into the series... you'd only read the VN for Fate/Stay Night once, though you had read Hollow Ataraxia and regrettably watched almost all of the Fate anime that have been released over the years, though you had dropped a fair few of them one or two episodes in. Unfortunately all those other series were the opposite of helpful when all that mattered was what was going on right now. You still weren't really sure if this was a dream or not, but you really hoped that it was. It was that belief that let you act so... calmly. After all, something like this was just impossible, right?
>>
You decided to put your doubts about if anything happening to you was even real aside and tried once more to think about what you knew about the current situation. If Sakura only summoned Rider yesterday though... you scratched your head... oh man, you really had no idea when anything was meant to happen in the grail war... when did Sakura summon Rider? You knew that she... probably summoned Rider before Rin summoned Archer... but when was that? It was a couple of days before Shirou summons Saber, right? You pondered to yourself as you sat on your bed, not sure about what sort of time frame you were working with here. You'd probably still have to go to school, you didn't want to start acting any different to normal... but... you knew that Rider wasn't anywhere near strong enough for you to have a chance against literally any of the other Servants in the war... so you'd probably need to try to align yourself with another of the Masters if you wanted any chance of surviving, but the question was just who you'd need to pursue...

Of the 5 supplied options, there's...
>Shirou Emiya: Shinji's best friend and an amateur magus who can become pretty damn strong with some decent guidance, he's not summoned his Servant yet but this can be resolved fairly easily.
>Rin Tohsaka: A powerful young magus and heir to the Tohsaka family of magi, she's fairly haughty but she's a good friend if you manage to get on her good side. Unfortunately she does hate Shinji. May or may not currenty have Archer.
>Illyasviel von Einzbern: A homonculus girl trapped in a body that is younger than her true age, heir to the Einzbern family of magi. She is also the Lesser Grail, a crucial component of the Holy Grail War... however she is incredibly quick to resort to violence and has no relationship at all with Shinji. Currently has a Servant in the form of Berserker.
>Kuzuki Soichirou: A seemingly emotionless man who teaches classes at Shinji's high school, he is in fact an incredibly lethal assassin who won't hesitate to kill anyone considers a threat. His Servant is an immensely powerful magic user who is undyingly loyal to him and will basically do anything for him.
Kirei Kotomine: This guy is basically the worst person on the entire planet, and going to him for an alliance would only work out if he thought he could make you more miserable in doing so. His Servant isn't really his Servant at all because Gilgamesh does his own thing, but they are in contention for the most powerful Servant in the entire setting.

There's probably nobody else.

>>
>>5322511
That's why I voted for Shirou
>>
>>5322518
Yeah, same here. We can get Shirou to agree unless we really fuck up the conversation. Rin hates us and she'll say no, but at least nothing more will happen. Illya though? We'll be lucky if she doesn't order Berserker to cut us and Rider to pieces for annoying her.
>>
>>5322521
And that's if we're lucky. There's a lot worse things that could happen than just death.
>>
>>5322523
True, but she should have no reason to do those things to us unless we really, really annoy her. Shirou is the object of her hatred. She'll probably just kill us.

Though no, wait. These will still result in a dead end, just an even more horrific one. Assuming we have a Tiger Dojo, the worst thing that could happen is that she kills Rider and leaves us alive to continue without her.
>>
>>5322525
If we do have a dojo, I hope Kariya's ghost is running it.
>>
>>5322529
oh, that'd be fun
>>
>>5322508
I dunno, Kuzuki and Caster aren't really the type to shoot down a potential alliance immediately, and with her plan to purify the grail, having another master on her side isn't a bad idea, and she'd be able to help with Rider's mana insufficiency so she'd actually be useful as a servant again.

The journey to Shirou's house was uneventful... of course it would be, not only was it daytime right now, but the Holy Grail War hadn't even officially begun yet and wouldn't for at least a few days. Officially it wasn't really permitted for the Masters and Servants to start battling each other until the last of the Servants had been summoned in the interest of fairness. Of course, the rules in this war were pretty much irrelevant anyway, considering that the man who was meant to be moderating was actually participating using Gilgamesh and Lancer... Lancer... you thought about the blue spear man for a moment, feeling like you'd forgotten something but eventually dismissing the thought. You did remember however that Lancer was incredibly dangerous as an enemy... and like the rest of the Servants in the war, definitely not somebody that Medusa could face off against with her incredibly limited abilities.

Soon enough you were at the front door of your best friend, and after a brief moment of hesitation, you pressed the doorbell. You only had to wait about 20 seconds in total before Shirou came to the door, and he looked surprised to see you. "Shinji? What are you doing here? This... isn't about Sakura, is it?" You remembered that Shinji had a few 'discussions' with Shirou in the past about Sakura coming around his house all the time, before you were in control of his body, and his relationship with Shirou was actually not as good as it should've been as a result... not to mention all the other stuff that you didn't really want to think about with the archery club and... you shook your head.

"It's not about my sister, no." Well... it was, but she was only a part of the much bigger problem that the entire town was going to face... and with any luck she wouldn't become a problem at all. Regardless you couldn't exactly tell Shirou about just what was going on with Sakura behind the curtain... not just yet, anyway. "I need to talk to you about something that's very important."

Shirou sighed, looking behind him for a moment before turning back to you. "Alright, Shinji, but this had better not just be some waste of time again."

"Alright, well-"

>lore chads, what happened there ? I dunno much about fate
Shinji, the guy we isekai'd into, is a real asshole. He used to be better, though still kind of an asshole, and he and Shirou were good friends up till middle school (We are currently in our second year of high school). The key events that practically ended his friendship:
Both entered the Archery club in high school. Shirou was the top of the top, a real talent, with Shinji as one of the best but not exactly at his level. A year and a half ago Shirou was injured in his part-time job and took a pause from Archery. Shinji pushed him to quit entirely, saying that he'd be a bother, only because he was jealous of his friend being better than him at something. Shirou accepted and quit. This was the Archery thing.
After his injury, Shinji's adopted little sister, Sakura, began going to Shirou's home to help him. She did this because she was in love with him, though Shirou was too much of an oblivious retard to see it. Shinji repeatedly tried to forbid her from going there, which she vehemently resisted because of her love, and because her life is generally miserable outside of Shirou's house and her relationship with him. That was strike two.
Shirou eventually discovered that Shinji has been hitting Sakura. He confronted his friend, because he's a good guy like that, and Shinji was unapologetic and got beaten up. That pretty much ended the friendship
What Shirou still doesn't know, and our isekai dude is trying really, really hard to avoid thinking about, is that Shinji has also been raping his little sister for the past three years, and she has been tortured daily by our loving grandfather's worms for the past 11, since she was given to him by her.
>>
>>5323613
>spoiler
since she was given to him by her father, Tokiomi Tohsaka, who chose to keep and train Rin as his heir.
>>
>>5323613
It sure didn't help that Shinji's 'grandfather' is a worm ghost who holds a metaphorical gun to his head. Nobody wants to end up like Kariya.
>>
>>5323634
Zouken does not give a shit about Shinji, has not given a shit about him for his entire life, and never encouraged him to do anything. That was all on Shinji. Besides, Shinji didn't know what happened to Kariya. Only Sakura saw him die.
>>
>>5323642

"-all of Fuyuki City might end up dying in the next couple of weeks unless you listen to me now. This is a matter of magecraft," you said with a matter of fact tone in your voice, and a few seconds passed as Shirou just looked at you with stunned silence as he processed the information that he was being told.

"...huh?" the auburn haired boy sounded confused by your sudden revelation, but you just shook your head in annoyance at his apparent decision to try to feign ignorance about what you knew very well was the truth. Or more likely he just hadn't been expecting this from you, it's quite a lot to suddenly bring up out of nowhere after all.

"Don't play coy with me, Emiya. I'm well aware that you're a magus, even if you're not a very good one," well, he did have the potential to become a very good magus if he was taught... sort of. His abilities meant that he's only any good at one very specific type of magecraft, but to the point where his overspecialization in 'swords' was enough to cover any real weaknesses he might have. Unfortunately you weren't exactly going to be able to take advantage of this unless you could help him unlock his true potential in the next few days. "I'm talking about something called the Holy Grail War, it's a battle between seven factions that is fought every 50 or 60 years in Fuyuki City, but this one is early, the last one took place only ten years ago." You couldn't recall the exact number of years that it should take between wars but it didn't really matter, Shirou's shocked expression had already shifted to one of concern now.

"I... I guess you ought to come in," obviously there was no other outcome to telling Shirou about the Holy Grail War, even if he didn't like you at all, which right now with your rocky relationship that may well be the case, he'd have no choice but to listen to you. He was just that sort of person, he couldn't just stand idly by when the danger of everyone in the entire city was present. "I don't want Taiga or Sakura to overhear this... so could you just wait for me in my shed?" of course it was wise to keep Taiga out of the loop... and Sakura... you didn't want to see Sakura right now for the fear of seeing her and vomiting due to the actions taken with your body against her. So long as you tried to distract yourself, you'd be able to avoid thinking about those memories.

"Alright, but don't leave me waiting long, Emiya... and don't tell Sakura about any of this either. Not yet, anyway. I'll tell you why later," you didn't want to cause too much suspicion by using different terms of address for the people who knew Shinji before, even Shirou... you kind of doubted even he would have much time for you if you revealed that you weren't truly Shinji but some outsider who had been dragged out of your own comfortable NEET life in the real world and forced into the body of an ineffectual tertiary villain wakame bastard.
>>
You quickly made your way through the corridor of Shirou's house until coming out into the garden and heading straight to the shed. Sakura was probably somewhere inside the house but she was likely in the dining room having breakfast or something. You didn't know how much attention that Zouken was paying through Sakura, but if he were to somehow find out you were plotting behind his back, you'd be absolutely fucked.

You coughed a little upon opening the door to the shed too widely and kicking up a pile of dust that had settled on some metal machine parts, even though Shirou was a fairly tidy person normally, the shed was filled to the brim with random bits of useless junk and whatever else he had found interesting. "Yeesh, some workshop you've got here," you found yourself judging Shirou's workshop quite harshly, even though you already knew exactly what it was like from prior knowledge... actually seeing it in person was a different story entirely.

While you waited for Shirou, you started to mess around and scan across the floor, looking for something in particular until you finally found the spot. "Ah-ha!" you pulled away most of a tarp that had been strewn onto the floor over a faded looking circle that had been carved into the ground. This... was what Shirou would eventually use to summon his Servant... sooner rather than later, you hoped.

After a few minutes had passed, Shirou entered the shed, looking fairly sheepish. "Sorry about that, Taiga needed to be convinced to let me go off and do my own thing, I sorta had to bribe her with my breakfast," Shirou gave an explanation as to his tardiness, and you nodded.

"That's fine. I was busy looking around your workshop..." You pointed at a washing machine that looked fairly spotless. "Projections, right? Or rather, you created them with your magic, is that correct?" You decided to flex a little bit with your knowledge, just to surprise Shirou a little more, and it seemed to work.

"That's... right, how did you know...? I thought that they were perfect copies." Shirou seemed shocked that you'd managed to see through the projections with so little difficulty, and you smirked.

"Call it a lucky guess, but that's not really what I'm here to talk with you about." You shrugged as you dismissed the topic, you knew that Shirou used projections because he had revealed it himself to you inadvertently within your memories, but that wasn't really something you wanted to reveal.
>>
"Then, what are you here to talk about? Is that Grail War thing you were talking about real? I mean I guess you know about magecraft and stuff, but... how do you know about it, the war?" Shirou was right to be fairly mistrusting, because the Shinji of yesterday would only be reaching out to Shirou for his own gain, so it was only natural that you would receive this sort of reaction.

"How do I know about it...?"

>"Rider, please show yourself."
>"That's not important... but what is important is getting you to summon a Servant as quickly as possible."
>"My grandfather was aware of it... the Matou are actually a family of magi with centuries of history and set the war up over two hundred years ago."
>"You could say that everything I know about the war was revealed to me in an oneiric revelation... as was the fact that your father Kiritsugu fought in the war ten years ago... and that you're a target for his daughter."
>Say something else?
>>
>Write-in: Confess you're "a spirit from the future" who deeply regrets Shinji's actions. Prove it by telling him things no one else should know. Tell him you regret Shinji's actions and you're here to repent. Although nothing will ever forgive what Shinji has done, you want to help him the best you can. Refuse to tell him the specifics regarding this subject. Finish the speech by telling him to take care of Sakura.

Rider seemed to be stunned by your relatively in depth knowledge of the inner workings of the Holy Grail, clearly she'd written Shinji off as an idiot already, but you weren't Shinji. Or well, you were Shinji, but you were a better Shinji, and you'd succeed at life where he failed. Rider dematerialized once again without being asked too, clearly she had decided to take the some time to think on what you had said about the Holy Grail, and hopefully reconsider whatever her current opinion on you is... though you know it's probably not going to end up being great regardless of what happens.

"This is... a lot to take in," Shirou ran a hand through his hair as he attempted to make sense of everything that you had said so far, of course, he was never going to be able to follow along when you started talking about the workings of the grail, but it was quite admirable that he tried regardless.

"Just be glad I'm the one telling you about it and it's not somebody else. A lot of the other Servants and Masters have something of a kill on sight policy for opposing masters... and the collateral damage of the war can get pretty horrendous," once again you sighed. The fire a decade ago... that was a result of the final battle of the Holy Grail War... two Servants were battling to the death and it ended up going poorly when a wish on the Holy Grail... went out of control." It was a partial truth, but you didn't feel like telling Shirou what had actually happened either.

Shirou's face tensed up as he thought about the great Fuyuki fire, obviously still something he was affected heavily by considering that the fire was responsible for destroying his entire family and causing him to change his outlook on the world itself. "This... this grail war, I don't know what I can do to help, but if you're telling the truth, it can't just be allowed to go that way."

"Well, if you want to help me, you..."

Rin doesn't even have Archer yet, she won't be too hard to convince with Shirou around. Trying to summon Saber this early won't work. Shirou doesn't have his command spells yet, his circuits haven't been activated properly yet and it's harder to summon servants earlier before the war. It won't work and it might ruin the summoning circle.

I came in expecting to shit on you for being a mediocre copycat, but I can only harass you for the latter. Pleasantly surprised at how this has gone so far, even if you type like someone for whom English is a second language. I hope you can rein in anons and squash namefags better than WhatIs (who's probably lurking, hi, you humongous faglord) could.
>>

The only real loss is that we no longer get a cute magnetic hag bodyguard.
>>
>>5325853

The writing style in this quest is the same as what was used in Paradox Reincarnator and the OP image is the same style WhatIs used to use too. After the first post I was a bit unsure as the tone was different, but every update since seems to have slipped back into the usual WhatIsAQM style. It's especially clear in the most recent update where a character with supposedly limited meta knowledge goes on a lorefag ramble about grail mechanics just like Paradox Shinji used to act. Considering they're using a new trip they might never admit to it but the resemblance is too close to be coincidence.

Fortunately WhatIs was a good QM when it came to pumping out a large volume of updates. There's a reason Paradox Reincarnator was so popular in its prime and dominated /qst/ at the time. Here's hoping they don't drop this story before there is a proper conclusion like the other quests.

WhatIs fucked up when he introduced way more characters than he can handle, and did not incorporate them coherently into the story at all. He could have cut down 1/3 or more of the cast and the story would have been the same and there would be less filler. The ending would have happened far sooner too. Also, detouring to Tsukihime's storyline and killing Nero, grabbing Aoko and Shiki(s) and doing nothing with them all felt like filler, and also having the Altrougue story line go nowhere was also pretty dumb.

QM will have a successful quest if he avoid introducing a shit ton of characters, that is where previous quests fuck up. Having a bunch of characters who seem important but really add nothing to the plot and are just there for cameos and memes. So far this looks promising.

She can work as a final boss again, as long as there isn't dumb bullshit like breaking the fourth wall or having nega outer god powers or whatever.

Rider and Rin would be feasible, but I want to see where QM takes the romance since its too early to tell. Sakura probably won't win since she's fully obsessed with Shirou at this point. If MC tries to get with her even after the rapes that would be pretty fucked up.

So every bad ending is a canon possibility? I was factoring true endings being the canon endings in terms of our survival/the world not getting fucked by the grail.
>>
>>5327452
With how easy it was to fall into a bad ending, Shirou has pretty shit luck. Womb Realm Mandala for example only had Shirou decide to stay in the forest while Rin goes and watches the SAlter and Berserker fight. Remember, at this point Shirou does not have a Servant and wanting to be prudent he decides to stay back. Honestly anyone in that situation would make that mistake of not going to see the SAlter fight immediately, especially since its dangerous and Servants can move at the speed of light and kill in seconds.
>>
>>5327328
Why don't we go looking for Baz?
We could warn her.
>>

I don't think she'd be too hard to find either, since she's using the old Edelfelt estate.

Hmm it would help to get Rin before that since Baz is a Clocktower goon and Rin is the "Lord" of this region , would become a lot easier to negotiate when we have an offical with us besides she would not believe just the 2 of us.
We have to work quick tho Rin could be a pain in the ass to convince especially with our face.

"-can help me convince Rin Tohsaka at school to help us." Rin would be the next logical step, and while you knew that she hated you, she'd hopefully be a little bit more accomodating towards the boy she's crushing on because he did a high jump at some point. Especially when you revealed that he was a magus as well... and even more so when you revealed the corruption that has seeped into the grail since the third war as a result of the summoning of... Angra Mainyu, was it? Whatever the name of the god in question, it fucked the grail up hardcore ever since.

"Huh, Tohsaka...? What's she got to do with this?" Shirou seemed confused that you were suddenly bringing up the name from a girl he barely knew from school. Of course he'd heard her name because who hadn't? Despite having about as much charismatic ability and tact as a donkey, Rin was somehow considered the most desirable girl in the entire school. It was absolutely baffling to think about when you put it in terms like that. She has like literally one friend in the entire school!

"Well, if memory serves me, a few centuries ago, the grail war was devised by three people. Justeaze von Einzbern, Nagato Tohsaka and... Zolgen Makiri." The last name being the name that your asshole of a grandpa used to go by until he decided that the thing his family needed the most was a name that sounded less foreign... for some stupid reason. Why would he even care about the locals anyway? "As you may have been able to guess from the name, Nagato is Rin's ancestor, and seeing as Fuyuki City is land that is acknowledged as belonging to the Tohsaka for matters related to the supernatural by the Mage's Association, we're going to have to get her help.

"But... didn't Tohsaka just reject you again just last week?" You winced, damn it, previous Shinji! Why did you have to be such a clueless idiot? You thought back on Shinji's memories only to see him get rejected over and over again by Rin, she clearly didn't like him from the start, and hated him after the fourth attempt... so the six attempts after that would've definitely not improved things from that point either. Of course, Shinji had no way of knowing at the time that the only way to Rin's heart was to autistically fail at the high-jump about two hundred times in a row like a certain auburn-haired somebody.
>>
"I don't want to hear about last week. There's way more important stuff going on right now than my love affairs, Shirou." More important stuff like ensuring you don't get murdered by Illya or... or... or any of the other dangers that lied ahead on the path that you may well not be able to divert from at this point. Still, it was going to be even more awkward to convince her thanks to Shinji's past actions, and they were just the past actions Rin was aware of! "I'm a changed man anyway." You tried not to give away just how true that sentence was before you quickly thought of a distraction for yourself. "Regardless, I think it'll be easier to get Rin on our side if your with me."

"If you say so." Shirou didn't entirely sound convinced that he'd be much help when it came to dealing with Rin, but hopefully she wouldn't be able to resist if you revealed you had information about some of the other Servants or something. You knew for a fact that positive incentive would be needed in dealing with Rin, telling her just straight up that the Einzbern corrupted the grail sixty years ago because they were stupid is something that you knew she just wouldn't believe... not from Shinji's mouth anyway. He had been a far too untrustworthy person for that. "So, how exactly are we supposed to do this anyway?" Shirou absentmindedly asked, and you stopped for a moment as you realized you hadn't actually thought that far into things.

>"You'll write a letter and stick it on her locker telling her to meet you on the roof."
>"We will literally just stop her in the school hallways, what could go wrong?"
>"If we hurry, we might be able to catch her before she arrives at school."

>"If we hurry, we might be able to catch her before she arrives at school."

Some other quests have the MC actively avoid school which is smart, but most of the time its to prepare or train or whatever. Shinji right now can't perform even a single spell except for using some hexes from the Book of the False attendant. Is there a reason to even skip school since in the VN the only threats were Tohsaka if she's an enemy, Shinji and Rider with their barrier, and maybe the off chance of Caster visiting Kuzuki which is unlikely. 2/3 of those me threats are most likely eliminated since we're Shinji and Tohsaka may be convinced.
>>
>>5328183
Perfectly reasonable, provided you have perfect meta-knowledge of all Masters and the threat they pose or don't pose. The characters in the story don't though, and they really should have started taking this thing more seriously. Rin almost dies to Lancer on day 1, for example, and this doesn't discourage her at all. Not to mention the whole Bloodfort clusterfuck, or Kuzuki being exposed in UBW or wormed in HF being the direct result of him deciding not to take some time off to stay with his lovely new wife.
>>
>>5328169
They start skipping school towards the end of the war, to prepare for big fights and for recovery.

>>5328226
The war doesn't happen in broad daylight in the middle of the city, due to the Mage Association's rules about keeping magic secret. Going to school was relatively safe, and Shirou and Rin were defusing the sigils that Rider was setting up at the school, so they had plenty of reason to be there. Kuzuki is a master assassin buffed with Caster's magic, and can even kill Saber by surprise with his unorthodox style, so he had even less to fear than Shirou and Rin did.

"If we hurry, we might be able to catch Rin before she arrives at school." It was a fairly solid bet that you'd be able to manage such a thing, Rin was the sort of person who loathed getting up early if memory served correctly, so while she's not the sort of girl to arrive at school late because she liked to keep up appearances, there's not a snowflake's chance in hell that she'd ever be early to school.

"Right, well... do you mind if I tell Sakura and Fuji-nee that I've gotta head off early?" Always concerned with the feelings of those around him, Shirou glanced towards the door of the shed with a small amount of concern in his eyes, clearly despite the fact that the world itself might've been in danger of being destroyed over the coming days, he didn't want to make Sakura or Taiga upset. Some might call that having misguided priorities, but it was good that Shirou wasn't devoting himself fully to trying to save the world.

"Sure, but... don't say anything about Rin to Sakura, alright?" God knows the last thing you needed is Sakura to start feeling jealous about Rin, and... well Shirou just randomly skipping out early during the morning to go and see her. "Just make up some sort of errand that you need to run before school, I trust that you're able to think of something, like groceries or something." Hopefully he'd come up with something convincing, but more likely he'd just say something kind of stupid and leave anyway. Oh well.

"I mean... alright, I won't." Shirou sounded a bit confused about not mentioning anything to Sakura, but he didn't push it any further, you wondered for a moment what the boy was thinking about before you decided to just focus on what was important right now.

"Good, I'll be leaving shortly before you, and I'll wait outside the house while you make your excuses. Rider?" You called out to your Servant, who nodded before returning to spirit form and following after you as you took your leave of the shed... you could've tried to get Shirou to summon Saber early, but... it wasn't really wise to try something like that. You couldn't even see any Command Seals on his hand yet, so it was far too risky to push your luck. Saber would normally be weakened enough as it is by his botched summoning, you don't want to know just how bad things could get if the circumstances were made even worse by forcing the matter.

With that final thought, you hurried out of Shirou's house, walking back the way you came and reaching the front door of the house in record time... but just as you opened the door and prepared to leave the house, you heard a voice from behind you. "Nii-san? What are you doing here?" There was a hint of defensiveness in Sakura's voice, as if she was prepared for some sort of argument.
>>
You froze in place as the voice brought dozens of memories to the forefront of your mind... of how terrible Shinji had been to Sakura, of witnessing the girl's dreadful treatment and not only doing nothing to stop it, but also eventually joining in on things. Your face paled as you tried to force the memories away, and you ended up sprinting out of the door as quickly as you possibly could, not daring to look back as you did. It turns out that you aren't immune to the feelings of second-hand guilt you now have from taking control of Shinji's body, though at the same time you felt absolved of any guilt from taking control of the body, accidentally and without any say or knowledge in the matter or not.

You ran for about three minutes before coming to a stop behind a tree on the side of a road... you felt like being sick thanks to those awful memories, and you wished you could forget them entirely. Your face was still pale as you slumped behind a tree, and Rider manifested in front of you, looking oddly concerned about the display. "Master... what was that about?"

"It's nothing, Rider. It's just... don't worry about it." You didn't really want to tell the woman the true reason behind your sudden burst of speed out of Shirou's house, she'd probably end up finding out about it anyway in time, and you didn't want to relive the memories that weren't your own any more than you already had. Perhaps you could come up with some excuse as to just why you're so different? Obviously telling people that you were some sort of outer universal entity that saw the world as a story was way out of the question, but you could maybe go with something similar. Like you could say that you were the spirit of somebody who died during the great Fuyuki fire, or that you had been hypnotized from a young age and twisted into being Zouken's puppet and that somehow that hypnosis had been broken! Anything to detach you from the actions that your body had taken.

"Very well." Rider didn't seem satisfied by the answer but at the same time didn't actually care about you enough to really push you for an answer, she wasn't even really your Servant anyway, so she didn't have too much of a reason to care. Hell, the only reason she really followed you in the first place was because she kind of had to thanks to the Book of False Attendant that had been given to you. She was also apparently thinking of some way to help Sakura while acting as Shinji's Servant, but most of the time that just boiled down to 'setting up a deathtrap at a place Sakura is guaranteed to be in on Shinji's command' and 'dying as a result of setting up said deathtrap'. You couldn't exactly call her very bright when it came to plans either way.
>>
You sighed as you recovered from your brief outburst, you had only just managed to stop yourself from vomiting through focusing on your disdain for the original Shinji, but you also realized that you'd gotten a little too far from Shirou's house for him to be able to easily find you. You thought that there was meant to be some sort of mental connection that a Servant and a Master were supposed to share but it seemed that you didn't have such a luxury thanks to not truly being Rider's Master, so you'd have to communicate with her vocally. "Rider, could you go and fetch Shirou and lead him to me? I got a little bit too far from the house there."

Rider didn't respond but you knew that she was doing as you asked, she didn't really have much of a choice thanks to the Book acting as some weird form of a weak permanent Command Spell, unfortunately it clearly couldn't be used to power Rider up. "I need to get myself under control." You spoke out loud to yourself after waiting a few seconds for Rider to go get Shirou. Fortunately you had ended up running south, which meant you were actually closer to Rin's home as a result of running away from Shirou's house.

It took a few more minutes for Shirou to end up finding you again, and he seemed concerned about something when he finally caught up to you. "This... this doesn't have anything to do with Sakura, does it? Fuji-nee told me that she saw you sprinting from the house after seeing her, and you said not to bring Rin up to her too..." Shirou seemed concerned, but while Sakura was important, you couldn't afford to tell anybody the truth about her just yet. Not until you were in a better situation than you were currently in, anyway. The last thing you needed was for Shirou to try to play the hero and confront Zouken or something equally retarded that he is likely to do upon finding out the truth, and you didn't exactly want to have to forcefully restrain him with Rider.

"It's good that you noticed that, Shirou... but while I'm happy you're worrying about my sister, this doesn't have anything to do with her." You tried to dissuade Shirou's concern for Sakura. "in a non worst-case scenario, at least." You quietly added, not caring if you were heard or not, you wouldn't bother to elaborate even if you were demanded to do so. "Anyway, let's see if we can make our way to Tohsaka now, alright? I'm sure that she'll be interested in what I have to say."

"Right, let's go." Shirou nodded, thankfully quick to focus on things again rather than press for information about Sakura, and the two of you set off towards Rin's home. With any luck, this meeting will end up not going terribly... though somehow you doubted you'd be that lucky.
>>
After about twenty minutes of walking through Fuyuki, you ended up near Rin's house, though the girl herself was nowhere in sight and there was no real way of telling whether or not she had actually left the house or not from just looking at the front door of her house. "Are you sure she wouldn't go to school early?" Shirou asked innocently, and at that moment an image of a drowsy Tohsaka popped into your mind, the girl really didn't do well with early mornings.

"I guarantee it." It's not exactly like the Mage's Association gave half of a shit about mundane grading systems anyway, you were pretty sure that having a good school grade was less important to being accepted and 'the ability to blow shit up with magecraft' was looked upon far more favorably.

With that thought in mind, the two, or rather three considering Rider was present in spiritual form, of you waited outside of Rin's house... ten minutes passed and there was no movement, you found yourself checking the time on your flip phone as you waited. Another twenty minutes passed with no sign of Tohsaka, until finally after around 30 minutes of waiting, the twin-tailed girl finally walked out of her door before she stopped in place upon seeing you standing with Shirou, her neutral expression quickly turning into an irritated scowl as she stormed over to you, obviously she didn't feel it necessary to keep up her typical public persona in this case.

"What the hell do you think you're doing waiting outside my house, Matou?" Apparently she hadn't even noticed Shirou's presence at all, choosing instead to focus entirely on the very much unwanted presence in her sight. You would've expected her to have at least attempted to pretend to be friendly for a moment, but... well she wasn't a morning person, and you were probably the last thing that she wanted to see upon leaving her house.

"Charming as expected, Tohsaka." You shrugged as you cheerfully greeted the girl. "But I'm not here for any reason you might think I've shown up to talk about." Rin assuming that you had appeared on her doorstep to be a general nuisance... wasn't really that unreasonable though, so you'd not hold that against her.
>>
"Oh really, then what are you here to talk about, Matou?" Rin clearly wasn't in the mood to humor you, but she had apparently noticed the presence of Shirou now, and clearly didn't just want to rudely dismiss you like she had previously attempted to.

Hmm we definetly should let her know about this later but right now I dont think its the best way to get her attention. It would be like getting woken up with a punch to the face, still if we fail to get her on board with something else we could always just drop the "bomb" on her.

Let's not bring up the Sakura abuse right away, especially to the sister who thinks we're already a scummy playboy. We'll need a lot of proof for thr Einzbern Grail, and maybe Rin's dad being murdered. But bringing those two up at the same time is difficult for Rin to consider those as lies. Especially the dagger murder since the Azoth Dagger should be only something that her and Kirei knows about.

"The fact that the Holy Grail War is even more of a scam than it typically is because about sixty years ago during the fourth Grail War, the Einzbern summoned a Heroic Spirit that ended up permanently tainting the grail." You spoke calmly and without pause as you stared Rin in the eyes, enjoying her reaction as it went from irritation at your presence to confusion to what you were talking about.

"...What?" Rin obviously hadn't been expecting you to start talking about the intricacies of the Holy Grail War, so her reaction was even more priceless.

"Yes, if my memory serves correctly, it's because the servant they summoned was some sort of attempt to summon an Evil God, but in the end they managed to summon an incredibly weak nameless Heroic Spirit, a boy who was originally sacrificed thousands of years ago with the wish he would somehow become a God of Evil."

"Meaning that when he was killed during the war and his spirit was kept within the grail... the grail attempted to grant that wish?" You could say what you liked about Rin, but she was very quick to catch on to stuff relating to magic like this, and you honestly were expecting you'd need to explain things more than you already had, but you supposed that she really was bright sometimes.

"Exactly, the corruption isn't exactly very well hidden if you know what you're looking for either, under normal circumstances, the Holy Grail would only be able to summon those considered heroes, but the fourth war and of course this war has had beings summoned from the Throne of Heroes who are instead considered Anti-Heroes in addition to typical heroes." There were a few bits of evidence about the corruption of the grail, the only issue was that there was nobody around who was able to figure it out from the information they had available, and those who were aware simply didn't care about the corruption at all.

"Do you... have any sort of evidence to back up this claim?" Rin was clearly on the cusp of being convinced, her dislike for you not enough to make her reject the truth in front of her. You were fortunate that she was rational enough that she was at least somewhat willing to put her personal thoughts on Shinji as a person aside for long enough that it allowed her to consider what you were actually telling her.

"Well, the true identity of my own Servant for one can be used as evidence... but I don't exactly want to reveal her identity. Instead I'll draw your attention to the Caster of the last war, Gilles de Rais... I doubt you'll try to make an argument that he could be considered a hero by anybody." If you recalled correctly, Rin had some sort of a run in with the horrifyingly evil Caster of the last war when one of her friends was kidnapped.
>>
"I... how do you know all of this, Matou?" Obviously she'd want answers, especially considering that there was absolutely no way that somebody who she had previously considered to not be magical at all should know what you were talking about. Of course she was still just ignoring the presence of Shirou, who seemed to have been totally lost by what you and Rin were talking about despite trying his hardest to follow along.

"I can't reveal that to you just yet, Tohsaka. But... I can reveal that if the Holy Grail War is allowed to be completed, the entire world may end up being destroyed as a result of a wish twisted by the evil god lurking within the Greater Grail." Unfortunately the Holy Grail could never be used for any sort of selfless purpose now, with even a wish as noble as wanting to save humanity being twisted into an apocalyptic event wherein all of humanity would be destroyed so they no longer needed to be saved.

Rin closed her eyes for a moment as she seemed to come to a decision. "Then... we'll go and dismantle the Greater Grail right now!" Rin obviously wanted to take action, and while you approved of her actually taking what you had said to heart despite hating the messenger and the long time goal of the Tohsaka, you shook your head regardless.

"Not something that any of us here can do, the Einzbern will be tremendously difficult to convince about this development and their Master will oppose us unless we can convince them... and also there's another problem, Caster has set herself a fortress up on top of the site of the Greater Grail, and I'm not sure if she'll be open to negotiations." While you would certainly prefer to convince Medea to help you instead of battling with her for no real purpose, there was no guarantee that she would be as willing to talk as Rin was. Especially considering that she actually had a goal for this Holy Grail War.

"Then what, you've come here to tell me all about this just to say that there's nothing we can do about it?" Rin sounded irritated again, as if she was remembering that she actually really did hate you. "Also, why is he here?" She pointed at Shirou, finally choosing now as the time to get curious about the presence of the third person in the conversation who was obviously having difficulty following along. "I swear, Matou, you're lucky I don't hypnotize you into forgetting all about the Grail War along with him." She started to walk towards Shirou, but you shook your head.

"That's not gonna be needed. Emiya is a magus. Not a very good one, but he is a magus. In fact, his father was actually once quite well known by most of the magical community... but I don't think he was able to teach Shirou his family magecraft, and so it died with him." Of course Shirou's father was known entirely for being the legendarily feared Magus Killer, but nobody needed to hear about Kiritsugu's sordid past just yet.
>>
"Brilliant... more and more surprises every minute." You had to suppress a laugh. You hadn't told Rin barely anything about what you knew yet, and she was already growing annoyed at how little she knew. You had yet to mention Gilgamesh, or Kirei murdering her father, or what's going on with Sakura, or the orphan dungeon underneath the church... but all those could wait. "So, say I did believe you about all of this, what would you want me to do?" Rin decided to hit you with quite the frustrating question, it was obvious that she'd already bought half of what you had told her,

>"I want you to come with me to confront the Einzbern Master to try to get her to assist us."
>"I want you to come with me to meet Caster's Master, we might be able to convince him."
>"Actually, I want you to see if you can't activate Shirou's magic circuits. Mine too... if I have any that can be used."

"Actually... I want to see if you can't activate Emiya's magic circuits... and possibly mine too, if I actually have any." You didn't know if Rin would accept your request, but you hoped that what you'd told her already would give her incentive to at least try to help you.

"What are you even trying to say now? You're telling me that Emiya-kun here is somehow a magus without having activated his magic circuits?" Rin chose to completely ignore the second part of your request, as if she was pretending that she couldn't hear it at all. You hoped that she was just focused on Shirou and wasn't going to allow her dislike of Shinji to prevent her from helping you out with your circuits... you knew that Shinji had some really shitty circuits that could be forced open, but you didn't even know if it was possible for Rin to do it.

"Tell her how you do it, Emiya." You turned to the boy, who seemed to be surprised that he was now being included on the conversation, especially after the past few minutes in which he obviously understood absolutely nothing that was happening whatsoever.

"Isn't my way the way everyone does it...? Wait, how do you know if I'm doing anything wrong anyway?" Shirou realized quickly that for you to tell him to tell Rin what he was doing kind of had to mean that you already knew, even though there was no possible way that you ought to have been able to tell.

"I just know, now tell Tohsaka." You crossed your arms as you continued to stare at Shirou, waiting for him to actually explain his idiocy to Rin so you could actually get his circuits activated.

"..." Shirou looked at you with annoyance, he was making it painfully clear that he was irritated that you somehow knew something he did in private when he was sure that he was alone. "I... focus and I... create something that can hold the energy I need to do magecraft from one of my nerves, it hurts a lot, but... isn't that how magecraft works? No pain no gain?" Shirou seemed to be trying to convince Rin, and her eyes were wide with a mixture of shock, pity and just all around befuddlement.

"You what?" She stared at Shirou for some time as she seemed to be trying to figure out whether he was being serious or if she was just being messed with, and after a few seconds of thinking clearly seemed to decide that the boy was being serious. "Are you out of your mind?! Do you have any idea how dangerous something like that is? You could've died! Hell, I don't even know how you could even bear that much pain... it must be like injecting molten metal into your spine!" Rin's reaction to finding out about Shirou's imbecilic dedication to performing magic was about what you'd expect.

"Yeah... it hurts quite a bit, but that's what everyone does, right?" Shirou tried to gain some assurance from Rin, who was just utterly stunned by his foolishness. Had he been anyone else, he probably would have actually died, but it seems that being the main character is useful for something.
>>
"Good lord... you're completely hopeless..." Rin covered her face with a hand before she turned to head back to her house. "I'm going to be late to school because of this nonsense... but come in, Emiya-kun... you too, Matou." She hesitated for a moment before granting you permission to enter her home as well. "Just know that if this is some sort of elaborate scheme or hoax to trick me, I'll make you wish you were dead." Rin retained a cheerful attitude as she walked back into her house, and you and Shirou hesitated for a moment before you took the lead and followed after the girl. Rider was still silently watching from spiritual form, and you wondered what she was thinking as you followed Rin into her house, it would only be so long until she ended up confronting you about how much you had changed since she saw you yesterday. Rin was also a problem, she'd probably already started to theorize about your changed behavior, but with any luck she'd just dismiss such thoughts right now.

Inside of Rin's house, you weren't really impressed by it, the Tohsaka showed off about the same level of wealth that the Matou did. Of course the Tohsaka home felt a little less gloomy and hopeless than the Matou mansion did, so you supposed that was something Rin had over you... though you aren't really sure why you were that bothered.

"Right, well first off, before I bother doing anything else, I'm going to make sure that you actually have magic circuits, Emiya-kun... I don't really know why you think you might have circuits though, Matou." Rin frowned at you before shrugging. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to check..." You heard Rin mumbling something about crushing dreams when she turned around, for some reason she thought that you somehow couldn't hear her whispering her thoughts aloud, but you didn't feel like arguing with her about her tremendously rude behavior. The truth was that you kind of deserved such treatment considering what Rin knew Shinji for.

"Uh, how do you do that?" Shirou gulped audibly as he looked at Rin, his complete lack of knowledge with magecraft that was outside of what little he knew how to do made him worried that Rin was approaching with the intent to do something dangerous.

"Don't worry, it won't hurt... and even if it did, you'd have no trouble with it, would you?" Rin didn't seem all too bothered by Shirou's caution about magecraft and just approached and laid a hand on his shoulder before closing her eyes. You could see the focus on the girls face as she attempted to locate Shirou's circuits, before she took her hand off of his shoulder with a bemused expression. "Interesting... 27 Magic Circuits, but... they've atrophied so much that they'll only be able to carry half of their normal capacity of 20 Units of Magical Energy..."

"Is that good?" Obviously Shirou had no idea about the specifics of the situation, he really should've been trained better, if only Kiritsugu wasn't an idiot.
>>
"It's an above average number of circuits, but your quality is low, unfortunately." You answered for Rin, who looked a little bit annoyed at having her thunder stolen from her.

"Yes, that's what I was about to say." Rin glared at you before sighing loudly. "I still need to prepare a few things before I can activate them for you though... it's a little bit of a complex process to do it safely after all." Rin admitted that granting somebody the ability to use their Magic Circuits wasn't exactly something as easy as just prodding them with magic and hey presto, they could use magic. "Alright then, Matou... I suppose I'll also check you." Of course, Rin should have no reason to believe that you had any circuits at all... and you only had a vague hope yourself, but damn if the ability to use at least some sort of magecraft wouldn't make the coming few days just a tiny bit easier. You'd been fortunate enough that Shinji in his youth had read and memorized basically the entire library of the Matou household, so the magical theory that you were capable of drawing on was pretty immense. Over the years, Zouken had managed to amass some particularly impressive grimoires, and with all that information in your head... you were sure that you could at least manage a few spells.

Just as she had done with Shirou, Rin placed her hand on your shoulder, though she hesitated for a long time before actually going through with it... and she ran a tiny fraction of her energy through your body. You could feel the strange sensation, it was like a minor electric current running through your body, until finally, Rin opened her eyes a final time. "Huh... that's strange... I thought that the Matou had been a dying bloodline... so why do I see 19 circuits? The quality is just a little higher than Shirou's... but it's strange, it almost feels like they had previously been sealed but something opened them up once more!" Rin seemed totally baffled by the development before shaking her head. "Opened... but not activated... how strange..." It felt like Rin was on the cusp of figuring something out, so you coughed and started to speak.

"Well, thank you for that, Tohsaka... but with that out of the way, I think-"

Whatever she is a hunter or smth. Still if we keep fuckin around she will wind up dead. Preferably before she goes to meet Kirei poor girl was even happy to be invited. Both Cu and her deserve a happy ending or at least a bittersweet one. We even have two very concerning arguments to get her on our side.
>>
"I think we should be getting to school." You didn't really have any more business that you needed to resolve during the day that you could think of, and meeting up with any of the other Masters in this war was simply too risky right now. It would be far safer to meet Illya or Caster when both Shirou and Rin had their own Servants. That way even in a worse case scenario, the three working together would be able to defeat Caster and Kuzuki without all too much difficulty and there was also a chance of defeating Berserker too.

"Right." Shirou nodded in agreement, any later and you'd all end up being late, and while you didn't really care about being late at all considering how meaningless school was to you right now, it was clear that Shirou cared.

"Great, well... you go ahead Matou. I don't want to be seen arriving at school with you, I have an image to uphold." Ouch, that's pretty cold there Rin, but entirely expected considering how little she thought of you.

"Pfft, don't make me laugh Tohsaka." You smirked before turning to Shirou. "Come on, let's get going, Tohsaka obviously doesn't want us around any longer than we have to be." You weren't exactly a fan of being constantly talked down to by Rin, so you decided that it would be best to hit her where it hurts.

"H-hey, I-!" Rin tried to interrupt, not wanting Shirou to think any less of her considering that she had a pretty large crush on him. But you didn't really care about what Rin thought or even really wanted, in terms of motivation she'd originally just joined the grail war because she kind of wanted to. There's no depth or goal behind her actions in joining the war normally, she just does whatever she wants because that's what she thinks she's meant to do.

"Shut up Tohsaka, you wanted me gone, I'm going." You led Shirou out of her house, barely able to disguise your glee at being able to get away with tormenting her like this. Of course there was no way that she could know that you were aware of her little crush, so it was fine, and endlessly amusing for you.

You and Shirou quickly made your way to school, arriving a few minutes before it would be too late and quickly making your way to class. Of course the school day itself was tremendously uneventful, and while you were a little bit cautious of somehow bumping into Kuzuki there wasn't any reason for him to suspect that his identity was compromised just yet. So you just went through the motions, though you couldn't bring yourself to socialize with the vapid empty headed girls that Shinji usually liked to surround himself with, so you just spent the day having very little difficulty with the schoolwork.
>>
Soon enough the school day was over and you were once more free to do as you pleased. But... the question was just what you wanted to do for the next few hours, you could go see Rin later on but she needed some time to make some preperations first.

What is there to talk about, that you raped her at a young age and somehow apologizing for it now will make up for it? Sakurafags are delusional, just leave the poor girl alone and have Shirou and later Rin comfort her.
>>
>>5331815
I actually think it's dangerous if she finds out we have Magic Circuits that work if it's not framed right. All that suffering she endured because the Matou didn't have a magically capable heir is immediately brought into question. I'm also fairly certain Sakura does care about Shinji despite all he's done? Doesn't she support him after the events of the UBW good endings? Care may be too strong a word, more like pity maybe?
>>
>>5331824
Sakura blames herself for her suffering. She's already apologetic because she thinks she stole his position as the heir. If he does have magic circuits, it will only confirm in her mind that she did steal what was rightfully his, and that he's justified to lash out against her.

She does care about him, as a combination of how much of a sweet girl full of love that she is, some Stockholm syndrome, memories of when he was pretty decent to her as a kid, compared to everyone else in her life other than Kariya and later Shirou, and her self-loathing telling her she doesn't deserve any better. But she also hates deep down, a feeling only brought to the surface by Angra's corruption.

Suddenly, as if you were just punched in the mouth by a pro-boxer, you remembered something incredibly important that you had just been completely disregarding. Bazett, the original Master of Lancer, and somebody who ends up getting killed off shortly before the Holy Grail War itself begins. Normally such information wouldn't be of any value to you, but it would've had to be a very short time before the war officially started, and you knew exactly where she died and who is responsible for killing her!

Right, it was Kirei Kotomine, for whatever reason, Bazett considered him to be some sort of friend and she made the mistake of trusting him, only to get her heart punched out through some sort of sneak attack from the fake priest. Something like that ought to have been impossible though, considering that Lancer should've been watching over his Master and he would've been able to kill Kirei in the blink of an eye. The only problem was that Bazett trusted Kirei so much that she didn't even consider the possibility that he'd attack her, and so she left Lancer outside of her house, a decision that turned out to be a fatal error.

But even knowing all this, would it be possible to convince her about Kirei's true intentions? She thought very highly of the priest, and she'd obviously be reluctant about turning on somebody based on the word of somebody that she didn't know whatsoever. Your memory on Bazett was a little bit fuzzy too, you knew that she could manifest the Noble Phantasm Fragarach and that she idolized her Servant, but would that be enough to convince her? It would be a risk, but now that you'd remembered that she both existed and possibly wasn't dead, you knew that you'd need to seek her out as quickly as you could now, there was no guarantee that she wouldn't be dying tonight or even later in the day!

Rin will have to wait, she'd need some time to prepare herself anyway, and you needed to get your ass to the old Edelfelt mansion on the east side of the city as quickly as you possibly could. You ducked behind a tree before looking around to make sure nobody was watching "Rider... I want you to steal a car."

"Pardon?" Your Servant suddenly manifested next to you as she was curious about what you were getting at all of a sudden.

"You heard me, Rider. I give you my permission to steal a car, your Riding Skill means that you shouldn't need to bother with keys or anything, right?" Riding was a skill that barely ever ended up getting used for riding anything other than the mount the Servant owned, though it could very easily be used even on something like a car or motorbike if you deemed such means of travel necessary.

"That's correct, but why do you want me to do such a thing?" Rider sounded fairly suspicious about suddenly being asked about her driving skills, and though it was quite literally impossible for her to deny one of your requests, you didn't really want to have to force her into doing anything either.
>>
"I need to get somewhere fast. It's kind of unfortunate that you don't have any clothing that allow you to blend in somewhat, but I suppose that without a set of..." you clicked your tongue as you tried to recall the terminology. "Oh, right, without a set of Mystic Eye Killers it's kind of pointless anyway." Rider would need to wear her blindfold everywhere, a tall woman with long purple hair would draw enough looks by herself, something like a blindfold would only exacerbate the problem.

"Mystic..." Rider seemed to be confused by your use of the term, seems like she didn't exactly have much knowledge of the glasses, but that was kind of to be expected, even if Rider had some magecraft knowledge, it's not like she could be called a magus at all.

"A set of eyeglasses constructed using magecraft that sort of... turn off Mystic Eyes while they are being worn. But I don't have any, and I don't have any real way of getting in touch with somebody who sells them in short order either. It just means that you'll unfortunately have to remain in spirit form for most of the day." It really was quite an annoying problem, for as much as you were prioritizing your own survival right now, that didn't mean that you didn't care for the rest of the characters, you'd have to be stupid not to. Fictional or not, now that you'd found yourself in their world, you didn't exactly have any sort of room to judge them on that, who's to say that you weren't fictional too? Caring for everyone else meant that you didn't really want to make any of the characters suffer, you'd seen too much of even your enemies to feel that way. Well, except Gilgamesh and Kirei, but those two were just assholes who were asking for it. Zouken meanwhile... well, he's a pain in the ass to kill, and was actually one of the reasons you kind of wanted an alliance with Caster. Outside of Gilgamesh, there wasn't exactly any Servant in the war who could reliably kill the old worm bastard for good other than her.

"I see." Rider nodded as she took in the information, you felt a little bit bad that you wouldn't be able to get her a pair of the glasses, but now wasn't the time to dwell on it. "Any car in particular?" Rider was already looking out for a vehicle.

"Any will do, I suppose." You didn't mind, so long as the car wasn't tremendously slow or something you could get there in time, hopefully.

"I see." With that in mind, Rider simply walked over to a nearby sports car on the other side of the street and opened the door without issue, quickly getting inside the vehicle and taking a seat behind the wheel.
>>
"Well... that was quick." You couldn't help but note Rider's speed at accomplishing the task set for her, of course despite everything or how she might feel about you herself, she would still relish the opportunity to drive just about anything at high speed. You rushed to the passenger side seat and got into the vehicle. "Alright, I'll try to guide you to the destination as best I can." Fortunately, even if your memories on the layout of the city were a little foggy, you had Shinji's knowledge to rely on, and he was fortunately aware of the old abandoned mansion on the other side of the town. "You'll want to go down this road..."

After about three minutes of incredibly reckless driving on Rider's part, with the car often exceeding speeds of 170kph as it barreled down the streets of Fuyuki while making completely ludicrous turns, your navigating ability was reduced to simply screaming the directions as the g-force slammed you into your seat at immensely high speed, and finally you came to a stop outside a rusted old iron fence.

"T-t-this is the place." Your teeth were chattering as you climbed out of the car, collapsing onto the ground as you tried to stand on the pavement. Your legs had turned to jelly out of a combination of the horrifying g-force exerted on your body and fear for your life. "Next time... can you tone down the speed a little bit, Rider? I feel like I'm going to lose my lunch..." For a moment, you could've sworn that Rider was smirking, but a second look had her taking on a completely neutral face. Hmmph.

"As you wish." Rider kept her response simple as you stared at the mansion. Time to make a decision.

Same way every unruly servant is kept under control: Command Spells. Kirei, as the Overseer, has a bunch of command spells to use. Servants can't attack the Master as long as he has at least one command spell remaining. In the story Kirei somehow made a contract with him after he killed Bazett and he then used Cu to scout. To that end, he burned a Command Spell to order him to not win the first time he fights anyone. This is his handicap. Cu doesn't kill Archer and Saber in the first day of the war only because he can't disobey that order.
>>
>>5332541
>Knock on the front door. Why bother sneaking in?
Lets try the subtle approach first.
Also remember that there are a bunch of stuff we could use to if not get her on our side, forge a temporary alliance. Such as Gil still being active and up, the corrupted grail , and the constantly suffering children in Kirei's basement. IF she thinks its bullshit ask her : As a Clocktower enforcer/magus can she truly afford to be wrong here? The Grail could cause a catastrophe that not only could kill a lot of people but jeopardize the secrecy of magecraft. For Gil , well he doesnt have good intentions at least from our perspective , he simply wants the grail to purge the "weaklings" and rule over the remnants after the grail catastrophe. Kirei is a black hearted (literally) false priest who revels in human suffering, oh and we also gotta find a way to kill the old worm bastard.

No, he wasn't afraid of Lancer, and this bites him in the ass in UBW, one of the three routes, where Lancer ends up killing him. He just wanted to get some use out of him with the scouting and rejoice at making Lancer suffer.

Not wanting to get yourself or Rider killed by stupidly trying to break into the house that contained a man who could quickly kill you and your Servant without any real effort, you instead decided it would be better to knock. This way Bazett wouldn't automatically assume that she was under attack and may well be willing to listen to you instead of immediately setting Lancer on you.

"Rider, stand by in spiritual form... only intervene if things appear to be going poorly." You quickly told your Servant to hide herself as you raised a hand to knock at the door. You couldn't afford for things to devolve into a battle because you knew that right now while she was weakened, Rider was pretty easily the weakest Servant in the entire Holy Grail War.

Taking a deep breath, you knocked on the ancient wooden door of the house, the door didn't even appear to be locked, and on closer inspection it appeared as if somebody had broken in already, the indent of a boot was visible underneath the lock of the door, which must've been how Bazett got into the house in the first place. Looks like Bazett had just taken the easy route for security and decided to rely upon Lancer to keep her safe as she slept. You supposed that relying on Lancer for something like that wasn't too bad of a decision, and it's not really like a locked door was going to be able to stop any actual enemies in this war anyway... not to mention that it did somewhat help the illusion that the building was totally abandoned by having it be unlocked.

You waited for a few minutes, preparing yourself mentally for the door to open, but nobody came. You started to wonder if you had been too late, and if Bazett had already been killed, but just as you started to think such things, you heard a very faint movement behind the door. It was faint enough that if you weren't paying close attention, you would've missed it entirely.

"What do you want?" The voice behind the door was gruff and rude, and you immediately pegged it for Lancer. "My... uh, the owner of this mansion is sleeping right now, and she's not expecting any visitors. Go away." You supposed that you should count yourself lucky that Lancer hadn't immediately moved to solve the issue with violence, and you could probably thank Bazett for this behavior from him. Though you'd also have thought he might've learned his lesson about attacking first and asking questions later from killing his own son.
>>
Still, you weren't exactly expecting it to be Lancer to come to the door, so you'd probably need to think of some way to convince him to trust you... or you supposed you could just make your excuses and wait for Bazett to leave of her own accord?

>"Lancer, I need to see your Master, I have information that may be of interest to her. I'm from the Clocktower."
>"So, Bazzet managed to summon a Servant after all, did she? Let me guess... you're Cu Chulainn? She always talked about how much she idolized him."
>"Let me in, I'm a seer and I've seen your future as well as that of your master, Sétanta. She's in grave danger."

>"Kirei Kotomine is secretly hiding the fact that he's the Master of a Servant left over from the last war. Do not trust him alone in the same room as your Master under any circumstances."
This is ideal, actually. Bazett has known Kotomine for years and trusts him implicitly. We'd have a hard time convincing her if it's our word against his, especially if we start by lying to Lancer in order to speak with her. Lancer has no reason to trust him though or dismiss our warning out of hand. Kirei will never get his chance with Lancer on guard against him. Hopefully our second meeting will result in an alliance, but this is as good as it gets now.
>>
>>5333580
What if Bazett Command Seals Lancer to leave her alone with Kirei? I'm not sure that's out of the question given her trust of him.
>>
>>5333581
I really, really doubt Bazzett would be foolish enough to waste a command spell like that and potentially ruin her relationship with Cu. Remember, she entered this war just to be with him. She doesn't actually care about winning, her wish was granted the moment she summoned him.

lorechads, can you explain the "leftover servant" thing ? like, gilgamesh was waiting since the previous war ?
>>
>>5333712
Yep. Gilgamesh was the Archer summoned for the previous war, ten years ago. He was summoned by Tokiomi Tohsaka, Rin and Sakura's father. Kirei was his apprentice, and he hadn't realized he was a sadistic psychopath yet. During the course of that war Kirei came to that realization with a little help from a bored Gilgamesh, betrayed and killed Tokiomi and took Gilgamesh as his Servant. The final battle of that war was Kiritsugu Emiya as Artoria's Master vs Kirei Kotomine as Gilgamesh's Master, with their servants fighting in parallel. Gilgamesh defeated Artoria, but Kiritsugu defeated and killed Kotomine, learned that the Grail was corrupted when it offered to make his wish come true, and ordered Artoria to destroy it. The destruction of the lesser Grail resulted in a great fire in the center of Fuyuki that killed hundreds of people and left Shirou orphaned and traumatized before he was adopted by Kiritsugu. Meanwhile, Kirei and Gilgamesh were drenched in the Grail's cursed mud. Kirei was revived and got a black unbeating heart made out of said mud, while Gilgamesh was fully incarnated. Together they decided to fulfil Angra's wish and help him come into this world through the grail, each for his own reasons. They have been waiting and preparing for the past ten years.

>"Kirei Kotomine is secretly hiding the fact that he's the Master of a Servant left over from the last war. Do not trust him alone in the same room as your Master under any circumstances."
>>
>>5333719
And don't you forget orphans in a constant state of near death, all located in Kirei's basement. For a sole purpose of powering up Gil.
>>
>>5333727
I felt it was unnecessary, but yes. All the orphans from that fire were taken in by Kirei and their souls drained to give magical energy to Gilgamesh, who doesn't need it to stay incarnated. Now, ten years later, they are nothing but half-rotten corpses, kept alive in perpetual agony through Kirei's ministrations. Shirou doesn't know this, but this would have been his fate if Kiritsugu hadn't adopted him.

And this is the man that Bazzett trusts.

If she hears us out then tell her the rest of the stuff , while true this was just to get her attention.
>>
Wait, wouldn't telling Bazett this end up painting a big, veiny target on our backs? I'm sorry but we have already played our hand WAY too hard, known a lot of stuff we theorically shouldn't, and talked about people's plans that wouldn't be revealed until much, much later on, not to mention knowing a bit too much about the last grail war.

If anything we might accidentally end up becoming the first death because we became a walking liability.
>>
>>5334768
I'm not entirely sure how what we're telling Lancer right now would paint a target on our back, it's a simple warning against someone he already doesn't like.
Isn't the biggest danger that someone like Zouken or Kirei learn that we're doing things that Shinji Matou has no reason for doing? I'm worried that Zouken could start taking earlier action and assault Caster's fortress early, or that he'll try to force summon another Heroic Spirit before everyone else summons their own.
I'm not sure about the threat level of Gilgamesh to us though, I think he'd probably just ignore us until he can't, the same as he does Shirou.

Remember, we SHOULDN'T know about Bazett or Lancer or where they are, nor have any reason to help them or anything at all. We are already way too suspicious and all it takes is Bazett to ask Kirei about the blue boy and we are absolutely fucked.
>>
>>5334812
It depends on how the rest of this encounter goes, but if she's just laying down like Lancer says, then he'll have been the only one to directly encounter us and I don't really see him bringing up the conversation until it becomes relevant, likely when Kirei comes back and visits them again.

>>5334823
What kind of investigation do you think he can conduct? Only a few people know about Shinji's misconducts intimately, but otherwise he comes off as a normal rich douche. He'd find out that we're from one of the founding families, but I'm not sure how relevant that would be to forming a directly hostile opinion, he'd probably think we're just really well connected or have familiars up all over town or something like that.

Won't talk about she does know. She also likes to delude herself into thinking that Sakura's situation with the Matou is the best thing for her, to the point where she literally risks the entire world to save Shinji's life in UBW, even after he tried to liquidate the entire school and rape her. She'll just think that him being an asshole was a persona he was putting on to hide the truth about him being a Magus, just like she herself puts on the persona of the unapproachable school idol.

As far as anyone else is concerned, Shinji is a talented, rich asshole, no worse than the norm.

>Remember, we SHOULDN'T know about Bazett or Lancer or where they are, nor have any reason to help them or anything at all.
Bazett will assume we are acting on Zouken's orders, which is not an unreasonable assumption for anyone who doesn't know the full truth about the worm-that-walks. He does know most of what's going on.
>>
"Kirei Kotomine is secretly hiding the fact that he's the Master of a Servant left over from the last war. Do not trust him alone in the same room as your Master under any circumstances." You quickly said your piece, not leaving any time for Lancer to interrupt you as you told him all that he'd need to know in order to keep Bazett alive. There was no real reason to doubt you either, and even if he didn't really trust you, just knowing that there was a chance that his Master may end up being betrayed ought to be enough for Lancer to stay on his guard around the priest.

It was a bit of a gamble, that Bazett would trust the word of Lancer over the word of her long time friend, but at the same time you had faith that she'd end up trusting her Servant over trusting the overseer, especially in a situation where the motivation of the man himself was in doubt. Either way, you'd almost certainly said enough to ensure that Bazett would end up surviving the point in which she would normally end up being killed. So long as Kotomine was prevented from getting control of Lancer, things would be far better in the long run.

"Oi... what are you talking about? and who are you, anyway?" Lancer seemed to be pretty shocked that you were opening with such information. Fortunately, it sounded like telling him straight up had managed to convince him at least a little.

"I'm a Matou, I'm participating from one of the three founding families, but I've noticed that the Overseer is playing us all. I'm not sure why the Church has chosen now to make their move against the Grail War, but as a participating Master from the Three Families I can't allow this to go on any longer. Your Master is fighting in the war on behalf of the Clocktower, so she should understand the severity of this situation. The Servant that remains from the Fourth Grail War is particularly powerful, and there was no way that I could've safely reported this to the Mage's Association without massive casualties."
>>
"Damn, nothing in life is ever straightforward, huh?" Lancer sounded annoyed, but he also didn't sound like he didn't trust what was being said either. "Alright, I'll make to be careful when this priest asshole is involved, now, any reason I shouldn't run you through? Way I see it, you're close enough right now that I could kill you before your Servant could materialize to try to stop me. One less Master and One less Servant, right?" Your eyes widened as you realized that Lancer may have taken your warning on board, but that didn't actually go very far when it came to the war itself.

>"It wouldn't be very sporting to kill somebody who's only come out of worry for your Master, would it?"
>"Because I want an alliance with Bazett. An alliance between all the Masters may be the only chance we have at defeating the remaining Servant."
>"Stop acting like a rabid dog, Sétanta, would your Master approve of you killing an ally before the War has offically started?"

>I think that if that night occurs in a similar fashion to the original FSN you can expect dead Rin, dead Archer and dead Shirou before Shirou ever makes it home.

Explain, wouldn't Shirou just rush home and summon Saber? I mean we can always just mix in fake information and have them hone on other targets until it's time to awaken Artoria. Hell it might not even be complete lies, after all going after EMIYA and Rin + 1 more magus might not be the best, specially if you reveal that they are your allies and want the same as you.
>>
>>5334948
Without the order from Kirei to hold himself back from killing any Servants during a first encounter the odds of Rin and Archer surviving the night at the school decrease tremendously.
Not to mention Archer would be forced to protect Rin from Bazett too, and Shirou would still witness the fight but wouldn't have Rin to heal him from being stabbed.
That's a bad end.
>>
>>5334953
We can always just tell half truths, after all it'd be easier to fight a little girl with little experience in the realms of magic (omitting the "in relation to who" part) + a dumb berserker than two magus, one from a founding family and another the son of the magus killer, not to mention they'd have you as enemy as well. Making an enemy of two founding families + Kiritsugu's son is outright retarded. I'm sure not even Bazette would want to put a giant red target on her ass as well, she also doesn't need to know the full extend of their servant's strength unless we go full retard, and in the current state of the grail even if they were to win, the chances of something going their way are basically zero.
>>
>>5334917
>Joke's on you, my Servant would love fewer things more than getting an excuse to find a new Master. Would probably get stronger with a different Master too. I'm actually so weak it's in your interest to keep me around in the off-chance I weaken a stronger enemy before I meet an inglorious end.

Note I didn't tip off Medusa's gender. This is by design. Grail War manners and all.
>>
>>5334958
Illya is literally the best trained and most powerful Master of the entire war not including Caster.
That lie would make us look retarded.
>>
>>5334964
I never said "Go for her", but I tried to imply that we CAN control the narrative and make it seem like THEY are the current weakest, at least until they are on our side. Gaslighting people, gaslighting!
>>
>>5334953
Shirou wouldn't be there because Shinji wouldn't have asked him to clean up the archery dojo, and Rin wouldn't be there because Shinji hasn't set up Bloodfort Andromeda at the school. I don't even think Lancer would be there, he'll probably end up patrolling the streets of Fuyuki with Bazett rather than scouting alone as Kirei wanted him to do.
At this point the canon timeline of events have been significantly derailed, and it's still only been one day that we've started influencing it.

>"It wouldn't be very sporting to kill somebody who's only come out of worry for your Master, would it?"
Even if he's not a Knight of the Round Table, Cu is honourable. Even while under Kirei's control, he tried to be as honourable as he could. The War hasn't started yet and we came here to warn him. He won't kill us, unless we do something stupid. We don't even need to dangle the carrot of knowing everything, because that really is knowledge that we cannot possibly explain how we got.

>>5334975
Is just leaving here instead of asking for an alliance against Gilgamesh a mistake? After we leave here Cu and Bazett are going to go about the war acting like it's a perfectly normal one with an extra servant and a rogue priest running around. Bazett and Cu as a combo can take down anyone but Berserker with ease, and if they're treating the war normally they'd have no reason not to pick fights.

She's basically one of those "legal loli" because she's actually older than Emiya and groomed into an effective weapon by the Eizenberg. She also possesses one of the strongest servants that need actual beyond-bullshit reasons to take it down.
>>

>>
>>5334917
>"It wouldn't be very sporting to kill somebody who's only come out of worry for your Master, would it?"
>>
>>5335025
This is half right. She is the strongest Master in terms of raw power, other than Dark Sakura. But she wasn't trained at all, because the Einzbern are massive retards and Acht didn't intend for her to be anything more than a living battery for Berserker. In an actual combat situation, Bazett is the most dangerous, with the possible exception of a Medea-buffed Kuzuki.

>>5335067
Bazett and Cu have no reason to agree to an alliance now. What could we even tell them that would be believable? It should be easier by our next meeting since our credibility will be better established and we'll have allied with other Masters. Neither Bazett nor Cu have a real wish for the grail anyway.

"It wouldn't be very sporting to kill somebody who's only come out of worry for your Master, would it?" You decided that the best way to deal with Lancer here would be to appeal to his sense of honor. Enemy Master or not, he wasn't the sort of guy who'd just kill somebody who had seemingly only arrived in order to provide information that was of value to his Master, and it was more likely that his threat was simply some sort of attempt to gather additional information from you through intimidation.

"Hrnn, I guess you're a bit too brave for that to have worked. Good for you, kid." Lancer quickly admitted that he really was only trying to wring more information from you. "Now, I guess I'll see if what you've said turns out to be true or not... Bazett said something about the Overseer coming over later today, so I'll keep an eye on the bastard even if Bazett tells me to keep watch outside or something."

"You mean you're not going to tell her?" It felt kind of odd that Lancer had seemingly decided to keep things a secret from Bazett, but you tried to understand his viewpoint, it would bring his Master a needless amount of worry and she might act cautiously enough thanks to it that Kirei would reevaluate his choice to betray her. In Lancer's head that might simply mean that he'd be leaving somebody who would've taken the opportunity to murder his Master alive. Of course that was all speculation, but the blue haired warrior was quite a bit more cunning than he let on.

"Nah, I doubt she'd appreciate being told about how her buddy from the church is a suspected cheater in the war. So I'll just keep my mouth shut until he tries something." Lancer clearly didn't suspect that you were lying to him, after all, what could you have to gain from saying something like this? It's not like being suspicious of somebody like Kirei Kotomine could possibly put the Servant at a disadvantage. In fact, getting away with killing the overseer would mean that his Master may well be able to claim all of the command spells for her own!

"Alright then, thanks for hearing me out, Lancer. If the information I gave you pans out to have been relevant and Bazett wants to meet me... I'd suggest looking for me at either the Matou Household or the Tohsaka Household, both are pretty huge mansions and they aren't exactly hard to miss. Not to mention that I can't help but think that your Master is already very much aware of their locations." You thought for a moment. "Actually, best you stay away from the Matou household entirely and just bother the Tohsaka heir if you want to see me, I don't trust my grandfather not to have been working on some sort of deception for this war either. Living for as many centuries as him and failing over and over... it would drive anybody to insanity." With that, you took your leave for good, leaving Lancer to ponder your words as you left the grounds of the abandoned mansion and returned to Rider's stolen car.
>>
Your Servant materialized next to you, a curious expression on her face as she looked at you. "You're... not the same as you were yesterday. You're not the same at all." It would appear as if the Servant had managed to see through you quite clearly, the Shinji of yesterday was of course a very different person to how you were now acting, and well... you weren't exactly trying to hide it. Attempting to try to convince somebody who had seen the true image of Shinji that you were just faking the whole asshole personality... well it obviously wasn't going to work. Of course you had a few options to try to deter her suspicions, but for now you'd try to play ignorant, see what tipped off the Servant.

"Whatever makes you say that, Rider?" You asked with a charming smile, but you knew deep down that there was a mountain of evidence that the Servant had against you, there was no way you were talking your way out of this without revealing something.

"Don't pretend like you haven't been acting differently. How you reacted when you saw Sakura, how you're acting in general. How you know all this information that you couldn't possibly be able to know. There's no way you're the same boy I first met yesterday when Sakura summoned me. So I ask you, who are you really, 'Shinji'?" Rider had figured you out pretty quickly.

"Damn, you're quite sharp, huh?" You shrugged. The very fact that Rider hadn't even made any sort of move towards violence told you pretty much everything you needed to know about how little she cared about the fact that her previous Master had been overtaken by something or somebody else. It was really very convenient that Shinji was such a shithead, because the amount of people that would truly miss him as he was... well the only one who you imagined would really care that much was Shirou, and that's only because he didn't know how terrible Shinji truly was. "Well, if you must know the truth, Rider..."

You also don't have to complain about the direction a quest is heading, as that is a clear violation of /qst/'s rules.
I would suggest you read the stickied post which clearly states

"I genuinely have no idea who I am, how I'm possessing this body, or how I know the things I do... but I know that I can't allow things to keep going on as they have been... nor can I allow things to reach the conclusion I see them reaching." It was... partially the truth, you didn't really know who you were or how you were possessing the body, but you did know exactly the reason why you were aware of the information that you had.

Rider stared at you for a moment, trying to figure out if you were telling the truth or not until she eventually seemed to accept that you were actually telling the truth. "You... if what you say is true, then you have my sympathy, Master. I'm sure you're aware, but the boy who's body you have taken over... he wasn't the sort of person who any would wish to be."

"You mean you're not upset at all?" It was surprising that Rider wasn't just not upset, but... it almost seemed like she was happy about this situation. The fact that she was happier with a complete unknown entity who had hijacked the body of her Master than she was with the original boy let you know just what you needed to know about how Rider truly felt about him.

"Of course not. As far as I'm concerned, this is a massive improvement. I had no real loyalty to my false Master aside from the book that bound me to him... but now you're the one who holds that book, aren't you?" Rider explained herself, and it made a lot of sense. There was absolutely nothing that meant that she would've had to be loyal to the past Shinji, and she actually obviously hated the boy in reality.

"I... guess that you're right. Still, it's strange you seem so nonplussed by-"

"You and I both know why I'm not all too bothered by the apparent mind death of Shinji Matou as he once was." Rider snapped as she interrupted you, clearly she wasn't even happy with the very idea that she would be upset by the way things were turning out.

"Yeah... we do, huh..." Rider crossed her arms, and you looked down at the floor, even though you weren't responsible for what Shinji did, you still felt shame about the actions. You still had the memories of doing things that made you shudder.

"Don't worry, I don't blame you for what he did. I would have to be a fool for that, especially when by your own admission you seem to be trying to set right what he did wrong. But... there is one thing that I want to know." If Rider wasn't wearing a blindfold, you would've been able to see her eyes narrow, you just knew.

"What's that?" You already sort of knew where she was going with this, but you asked anyway.

"Sakura. How exactly do you intend to help her? You're clearly trying to make things right, but... how do you plan on saving her?" There it was, Rider was finally asking the question that you had been dreading, and it was one that you didn't really have a concrete answer to.
>>
"..." You stayed silent for a moment, the truth was that saving Sakura was tremendously difficult. The fact that Zouken's crest worms remained within her body no matter what meant that there was little that could be done unless you knew exactly what you were doing... but there were a few possible ways to save your sister.

>"Shirou Emiya will summon King Arthur in a few days, he also possesses the Noble Phantasm Avalon, which grants pseudo-immortality so long as it is powered by her energy, I want to use that to save Sakura."
>"Caster... is in fact Medea of Colchis, I'm certain that if we can just convince her to help us, she'd easily be able to save Sakura by destroying all of Zouken's Crest Worms in her body without harming her.

Either the Caster option or the Avalon option seems to be the best however If I remember right Sakura has a piece of the grail inside her at some point not only that but through the worms Zouken can control and share her perception basically keeping her hostage.
As for Medea as much as I like her feels iffy dealing with her since she is in her psycho housewife mode and using saber as a turkey-leg on a fishing rod sounds bad how will we know she wont try to doublecross us possibly turn saber against us?
So what I propose is : tell Rider about these options, prefer the one with the Avalon option but personally discuss this with Rin and Shirou. We have to be prepared for backlash from Zouken he wil definetly notice, prepare defenses for the crest worms assaulting which ever house we will choose as a base (mostly CC), the whole operation has to be done fast preferably without Sakura's knowledge.
this is what my vote is for now

>>
>>5336427
>tell Rider about these options, prefer the one with the Avalon option but personally discuss this with Rin and Shirou.
Seconding this. No reason to keep any of the potential plans from Rider.

My thoughts:
Avalon does seem like the safest best. It should work to cure Sakura, we just need time until Shirou can summon Saber, and we'll need to deal with Zouken separately.
Medea would definitely agree to an alliance. She asked for one herself every time she got a chance, and she's not nearly as evil as everyone thinks. She can both cure Sakura and deal with Zouken, and if we're allying with everyone against Gilgamesh anyway, why not ask her to do those things too?
Blowing Sakura's heart and having Rin heal it has many obvious problem. It's the one I like the least

>>5336479
>Once Shinji gets his circuits activated Medusa can just one-shot Zouken, right?
Unlikely. Even with our circuits, we'll be a worse Magus than Shirou and he's a shitter. She'll still be heavily nerfed. If we want Medusa at full power, Sakura needs to be convinced to fight and we have to return her to her true Master.

Anon was talking about not telling anyone anything, not just about previous Shinji raping her. She can definitely not live a happy life if she keeps bottling everything up and hiding the truth from those she loves. She'll keep living her entire life thinking she's soiled and unworthy of happiness, that no one could ever accept her if they knew the truth. It would be more merciful to kill her now rather than force her to keep pretending that everything's fine just because it's more convenient for us.

As much we(or raider most likely), want to deal with Sakura's worm problem now, we have others problems at hand. If we rush things now we'll get ourselves and/or Sakura killed.
>>
>>5336741
The problem is (I think), bringing up the issue now, Rin still hates us and Shirou is still wary about us too. If we let such bomb dropped right now it would be disastrous.
Also the war didn't even began and we have no means to deal with Zouken, telling them about the whole Sakura worms and rape combo now is reckless to say at least.
>>
>>5336751
No one said we should tell them everything right this instant. We're stil 2-3 days off from even implementing the Avalon plan, and that's the simplest one. But how would you propose we do that or any of the others or deal with Zouken without telling them anything? We are not a demigod with the power of Truth on our side, we are the weakest master with the weakest servant and the weakest relationship with everyone. We can't do anything without help.
>>
>>5336764
>No one said we should tell them everything right this instant.
No, but if we talk about the worms too early it can go downfalls quite easy, Rin could squeeze the truth out of us or even Sakura, which won't end well for us or she and/or Shirou could try to go and kill Zouken on their own which, well... You get the idea.
>we are the weakest master with the weakest servant and the weakest relationship with everyone. We can't do anything without help.
That's why I'm saying is to build up our trust first, we need to make sure that our plan, whatever it ends being, won't blow in our face.
>But how would you propose we do that or any of the others or deal with Zouken without telling them anything?
Deal with the biggest threats first (Berserker, Kirei and Gilgamesh), manage to gain enough of Rin and Shirou's trust so they won't either kill or ditch us for doing nothing while Sakura was being busy babysitting worms, and that they'll be receptive of any plan we come for deal with Zouken.

"I have... a few plans, actually." Three, in fact.

"A few...?" Rider seemed perplexed. "What do you mean, you can't seriously be suggesting that you've managed to figure out multiple different ways to resolve things, can you?" Obviously it wasn't a very believable thing to be told.

"Well, I kind of do... though there's only really one that hasn't got any potential problems." Of course, of your three plans, the one that relied on Avalon basically just being a ridiculous cheat code was the best.

"You've got me intrigued, 'Shinji'... what is this plan, then? I've been trying to think of a way to get rid of Zouken myself, but... I've not had any luck so far. I'd like to hear just what you have planned instead." Rider hadn't had all that much time to plan things out but you also knew that it wasn't exactly like she had much of a chance to think of anything anyway.

"Well it's actually something that involves Shirou, for my first and preferred plan, anyway."

"Really? That boy? No offense, Master... but he doesn't exactly seem the sort of person to be able to do much on his own. Sakura seems to think of him very fondly, but... you can't be suggesting that coincidentally he's the one person with the means to saving her!" Rider was right to be surprised by your first plan, when you thought of things from that perspective, it did seem quite ridiculous, like something that could only happen in a story! Well...

"And that's where you're wrong, Rider... and you'd do well not to underestimate him in the future. That 'boy' is more than what you might first assume. He's a man I genuinely believe could achieve any goal he genuinely set his mind to doing, so long as it was possible. I could tell you just what he's capable of becoming, but there's not really much point in that... why I believe he can save Sakura so easily ironically has nothing to do with his own abilities." While his abilities would be useful if things went to shit, you weren't relying on them at all.

"It doesn't?" Rider tilted her head.

"Nope, the reason I'm so confident is that in a few days, he'll be selected as a Master by the Holy Grail, and as a result will summon his Servant." You didn't even care about revealing what you knew at this point, it was pretty key that you got Rider to trust you fully at this point anyway.

"And you believe that you can predict who he'll summon and that they'll be able to save Sakura? That's a little... optimistic, don't you think? You clearly know a lot about this war, but being able to predict something like that is just..." Rider trailed off into silence as she realized she was interrupting, she was clearly in disbelief that you truly had some sort of plan to save Sakura, though it sounded pretty insane to somebody who wasn't aware of just how much you knew.
>>
"Yes, Caster is in truth Medea of Colchis, her magical knowledge puts every living magus to shame, if she knows what to expect, she could likely deal with Zouken as easily as breathing." Though that was only if she knew what to expect of course, Zouken was somehow tricky enough to get one over on her and defeat her through going after her weakness. But that always felt like bullshit to you anyway, the plot just needed her out of the way so she jobbed! Probably best not to say that though.

"I see. Yes, if Caster is Medea as you say, then I can see her easily being able to overcome Zouken's magecraft. I never met her in my life, but I'm well aware of just how powerful a magus she was." Luckily it seemed like you didn't need to inform Medusa of just how powerful a spellcaster that Medea was, seems that Heroic Spirits... or rather Anti-Heroes, in Medusa's case, were aware of things from the areas they originated from even if by all logic Medusa would've been long dead by the time of the Argonauts and Medea. It's probably a Throne of Heroes thing. "But... getting her to trust us will be difficult as you say. I can understand why you don't want to rely on this plan... what's your third plan?"

"It's my riskiest plan by far, but it involves Rin Tohsaka actually getting off her ass and doing something to help her sister." It was amazing just how little that Rin really attempts to help Sakura out. "Zouken's core is burrowed inside Sakura's heart, so obviously it's impossible to kill him without destroying her heart and killing Sakura as well."

"Right. So... what is this final plan of yours?" Rider was obviously impressed by the fact that not only did you have a plan that may well work to save Sakura, but you had three individual plans.
>>
"Rin Tohsaka has a family heirloom that is filled to the brim with magical energy... enough magical energy to enact a small miracle, even. Like for example, reconstructing a heart from scratch despite it being completely destroyed... of course, this plan is one I wouldn't like to rely on because it leaves the rest of the Crest Worms within Sakura, but it would allow for at least a stop-gap solution in that it would likely kill Zouken off for good. Though removing the rest of the familiars would require the assistance of somebody else... I know that Kirei Kotomine is an expert at Spiritual Surgery, but I also know that he's a massive prick." Rider frowned at your rough language, but you just shook your head. "I mean it, Rider. He's literally the sort of man who would only help others to see them suffer. He only feels any sort of positive emotion from witnessing the suffering of others... he has a basement full of near-dead suffering orphans underneath the church that he uses as mana batteries to power Gilgamesh." The crimes of Kirei Kotomine were numerous, and the guy was just generally a colossal asswipe. An entertaining villain once, sure, but now that you shared a world with him, you could only feel disgust at his very existence.

"Right." Rider nodded, deep in thought as she digested the information that you had given to her. "I hadn't made my mind up before this, Master... but now I feel like I can trust you completely. It's quite shameful to admit this... but I truly doubt I would have been able to save Sakura with the way the situation was going." You felt like telling Rider not to feel too bad, because she did kinda sort of help to save Sakura in like... one route. Though really that was almost entirely Shirou doing the heavy lifting with her assisting. Still, there's not exactly anything that she could do regardless, the situation that she was put in didn't exactly give her any real opportunities to allow her to follow through with saving Sakura. Even if her plan was to originally try to win the war to use her wish to save Sakura. In fact, that might make sense with how willing she is to use Bloodfort Andromeda for Shinji. She knew that she wasn't anywhere close to powerful enough to win the war for Sakura, so she'd go to lengths as extreme as activating something as awful as that Bounded Field.
>>
"I'm glad that I have your trust now, Rider. Of course, I also want to discuss these plans with Rin and Shirou at some point to get their thoughts on things, but... I know for a fact that breaking the news to Rin about what has been happening is going to be difficult to say the very least." Really, you'd be lucky if Rin didn't try to take your head off with a magically enhanced kick after hearing the full story about what's going on with Sakura. "It's best I keep things a secret from Rin at least until things are a little more stable." Rider nodded, approving of your assessment of the situation. "For now though, we should..."

lorechads, for what reason are magus bad at modern tech ?
>>
>>5338301
not lorechad, but magic existence relies on mystery, the more humanity discovers about the workings of the universe the less magic there is, so naturally all magus hate all things sciency

really, damn. seems like we can't both have space colonies and cool magic tricks.
>>
>>5338301
Not lorechad so someone more knowledgeable can probably poke plenty of holes in, just what I've been able to pick up;
1 the goal of magecraft is to reach the root and achieve true magic which allows them to pull crap like true immortality without becoming an undead. Once someone reaches the root the path they took is closed off and cant be replicated.
2 as anon said the more people who understand how a field of magic works the less effective it becomes. Because of this you end up with families only bothering to pass their work on to the successor with the most potential rather than splitting its power between two or more individuals. This naturally guarantees the life's work of centuries of mages will be wasted if the chosen successor proves unable to pass it on.
3 time spent not researching their own power is time it isn't growing, esp if their family achieved magic alternatives to modern tech.

TLDR widespread magitech is very unlikely because most mages are raised to be self-centered assholes have a genetic birthright as the best in their field of their generation and generally only care about other people when it comes to passing on their life's work because sharing their knowledge makes them weaker.

Point 2 is not exactly right. Mystery does get weaker when it becomes more widely known, but there's no meaningful difference between teaching one or two or five apprentices. Plenty of mages do teach more than one person, the Clock Tower would not have existed as a magical learning institute if that wasn't the case. What is obliterating Mystery now is the advance of human reason, aka science. The classic example is homunculi, which have gotten more difficult to create because the properties and workings of the human body are now widely understood by the normies, leaving less room for magic to happen. Same for astronomy vs astrology, thermodynamics vs fire magic, etc, etc.

The real reason that Mages only typically choose one heir to train is their family's Magic Crest. It's essentially a spellbook in tattoo form (picrel is Rin's), that contains all the family's accumulated knowledge. Every generation's research is added directly to the Crest, and thus the family advances and gets closer to the Root over time. The Crest is the reason that older Magus families are generally more powerful in direct proportion to how long they have existed, losing it is a massive blow to a family's power, and it has one major effect to family inheritance: With few exceptions (the Edelfedt being one of them), the Crest cannot be split. It has to be given whole to one child.

During Fate Zero, Kotomine and Kariya both talk to Tokiomi about his decision to give Sakura to the Matou, and it's because he had to choose one of his daughters to give his Crest to. Both of them were equally talented and he considered it a tragedy that one them would never reach her full potential as a Magus even if he had decided to train both. With the Matou Crest though, Sakura could have become as powerful as Rin and a little (or a lot) of pain was a price he considered acceptable for greatness. Especially if it meant stacking the deck in the Tohsaka's favour for the next Grail War.

"Head to Rin anyway, I want to see if she can activate my circuits and I don't want to keep her waiting any longer." It was about the only thing that you could do right now, if you actually acquired the ability to use your magic circuits, not only would you be able to make use of some of the myriad books that Shinji had read in his youth in an effective manner, but you'd also theoretically be able to get Rider closer to her true strength. Of course, you doubted that she'd be able to actually operate close to her true power even with the additional magical energy from having a Master who wasn't completely useless when it came to his circuits, but it should at least still be somewhat helpful.

"Very well Master." Rider nodded as she got back into the car, and you quickly followed her lead, taking a seat in the passenger side once more.

"And Rider... can you take things a little easier this time? We're not in that much of a rush anymore, so there shouldn't be much of a reason to break... well every single road law that there is. We're already driving a stolen car, and I'd much rather not get pulled over on our way to Rin and have to explain... or more likely attack an officer of the law." Of course, you were under practically zero threat from the police, and for all purposes the law enforcement of Fuyuki City may as well not even exist. They were spectacularly awful at their jobs considering the amount of nonsensical bullshit that occurs in the city every so often. You'd think that at least one plucky detective would want to get to the bottom of the Fuyuki Fire or the 'gas leaks', maybe everyone in Fuyuki City was just lazy and stupid, because that was about the only solution that made sense, it's not like Kirei or Rin or whoever could just frequently hypnotize the entire population.

"Of course." Rider nodded, it seemed that from now on the Servant would follow whatever commands you gave her without hesitation. After what you had told her, it was pretty obvious to her that trusting you was vital for her getting exactly what she wanted... that being Sakura getting saved. With all of your plans she really had no choice but to trust you completely. They were all far better than whatever she might've had in mind.

The journey to Rin's house was totally unlike the journey to the mansion, with Rider peacefully and happily abiding by just about every road law that there was, you didn't exactly know how Rider was aware of the road laws but you just put it down to the Riding skill letting her know the regulations that she was supposed to abide by. You still considered it fortunate, either way.
>>
Soon enough you were exiting the vehicle at Rin's house... and you turned to the vehicle with a ponderous expression. "Rider... I hate to do this to you, considering how much you appeared to enjoy driving it... but would you mind dumping this car into the river? I don't want to be bothered by some sort of ridiculous police investigation." Rider pouted at the idea of being forced to be parted from the vehicle that she obviously enjoyed driving a tremendous amount. "Of course, when the opportunity arises, I'll make sure to buy you a car using the legal means." When the war was over, you would be set to inherit half of the quite vast wealth of the Matou family with the death of one old wormy bastard, Zouken had lived for a very long time and it would be ridiculous for him to have not had a massive amount of cash hidden away considering that he wasn't stupid by any means... he was just insane.

"As you command." Even with the idea of getting a new car legally, Rider was obviously disappointed that she'd need to get rid of this one. She was the sort of person who quickly grew attached to things, even things as simple as vehicles... though it was likely that she got attached to vehicles even faster than anything else. She was a Rider after all and you remember something about her enjoying riding Pegasus pretty much more than anything else... though you might've been you misremembering things. "I will endeavor to be as quick as possible in this task... I would not like to leave you without protection for long."

You felt a little bit of blood rush to your face as your relationship with Rider had changed over the course of a single conversation. Now she was actually being properly protective over you, as one might expect from a Servant that actually cared about their Master. That was going to take some getting used to, having Rider actually caring about your well-being to any degree wasn't exactly something you were expecting was going to come of telling her the truth about yourself, but you vastly preferred this to the passive aggressive relationship that existed before. "T-thank you Rider. I appreciate it."

Rider just nodded as she got back in the car, and you approached the door to Rin's house, which opened as you got close to it, and you were faced by a pissed-off looking girl with twintails. "Ok, where the hell have you been?" She growled in annoyance as you stared at her with a dumb expression. "I've been waiting for you for... thirty minutes now!

"Thirty minutes...? That doesn't seem so bad." Really, you were only thirty minutes late? Damn, you were faster than you thought!

"Doesn't seem so bad...? I was expecting that you'd be here immediately after school! I'm doing you a favor here, so I expect that you'll be on time at least!"
>>
"Well excuse me for having something more important I remembered I had to do... not very often you get the opportunity to lay the foundations to an alliance with Lancer and his Master." That took the wind out of Rin's sails immediately as she looked at you with disbelief in her eyes, trying to figure out if you were lying or not. "Sorry for not telling you I might be late, maybe if you had a phone, it wouldn't have been a problem."

"I have a phone." Rin said with a matter of fact voice, and you narrowed your eyes at her.

"Allow me to correct myself then. Maybe if you had a phone that you didn't hide at the bottom of some cupboard, I might've been able to get in touch with you. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen you using one." You knew for a fact that Rin kept her mobile phone buried in the most secure location in her entire house. She loathed the small device to the point that she locked it away in a place where she could never be bothered by it.

"W-what I do with my phone is none of your business! I have one, so that's all that matters! Besides, I don't like using it."

"Whatever, Tohsaka." You didn't care to continue this argument on any longer than you had to. "Either way, I'm sorry that I was late, I didn't realize that you'd be ready so quickly, and I thought I'd have time to contact the Master of Lancer... it was sort of time-limited, I wanted to warn her about the war."

"Alright, fine, I can accept that as an excuse." Rin seemed to deflate, she wasn't at all used to dealing with a proactive and intelligent Shinji, so it was clear she had no clue as to how to approach her interactions with you right now. "Come on, Emiya-kun is already inside waiting... you understand that this is gonna hurt quite a bit, right?"

"Probably, but what else can I do?" You knew that there was quite a bit of pain in store for you in your future, and while you weren't afraid of the pain, you knew that you weren't going to be able to deal with it very well. Shinji's body wasn't at all used to dealing with the extreme pain that awaited you from forcibly having your circuits unlocked. "Let's just get this over with, the sooner we do so, the better."

"I've got a question though... if you had Magic Circuits all along, why exactly did Sakura get sent to the Matou?" Rin seemed to think even further into things. "And... for a matter of fact, why isn't Sakura a magus either? I always thought it was a little strange that she didn't appear to be practicing magecraft after being sent to your family for that exact reason." Oh good, so Rin really wasn't as retarded as she somehow made herself out to be by never questioning it. At least this showed that she had her doubts, but just couldn't do anything about things herself without violating the long-running treaty between the Three Families.
>>
"Because unfortunately, Tokiomi was far too trusting of my Grandfather's intentions, that old bastard saw the tremendous potential that Sakura had and wanted to take advantage of that, happily discarding the future of his own bloodline in order to lay the groundwork for his own wish to finally come true." You sighed, not enjoying explaining things to Rin at all. "My grandfather purposely made Sakura appear to be completely non-magical, using his magecraft to siphon off the Od that was naturally produced by her body to the point that she appears no different from a regular person." You wanted to blame Rin for being so oblivious to Sakura's suffering, but unfortunately, just like her idiot father, she had no reason to doubt the intentions of Zouken. Of course, that was really their problem, because anybody with half a brain could tell that any magus who had lived for centuries was almost always up to some shady shit. Be it through becoming a vampire or by doing cartoonishly evil shit like literally eating babies or something, old age was always something that got more and more difficult to stave off the older you got, and Zouken was like six hundred years old!

"Oh." Rin's response was pretty restrained, though there wasn't really much else you could expect from her. Had you told her the full truth about Sakura, she wouldn't have been able to have reacted even close to this calm, and may well be on her way to attempt to do something stupid at this very moment. That was one of the reasons that prevented you from telling her about Kirei murdering Tokiomi as well, without Archer at her side, Rin was tremendously vulnerable even with as much skill in magecraft as she commanded and would soon find herself dead if she was up against somebody like Zouken or Kirei.

"Can we just activate my circuits now?" You changed the topic, not wanting to answer any more questions about Sakura that Rin might've decided she now had. You should've guessed that you having circuits would've been enough to cause questions from the girl. Of course the question remained whether the circuits were natural to Shinji and were the ones that get forced open by the Holy Grail in one route or if they were natural to you somehow, being transplanted into his body as a result of you ending up as Shinji. Of course the third option was a mix of the two, being that they were Shinji's natural circuits that were opened up by the Grail but were instead this time somehow opened by your presence in his body. That felt the most likely, at least.
>>
"Fine, come inside." Rin turned around and went back into her house, leading you to a fairly luxurious living room, you really wished that the Matou house didn't feel as gloomy and soul-crushing as it did, because the Tohsaka house had such a nicer atmosphere and didn't feel horrible just by being within it. The Matou mansion could really do with an interior decorator... and about 4 dozen cement trucks to flood that fucking worm basement with solid rock.

"Oh, hey Emiya." You nodded at Shirou, seeing that he was waiting on a sofa, clearly not very comfortable with what was going on right now. You had sort of just dragged him along with you and made him go to a house of a girl that he barely knew for some magical bullshit, so it wasn't really much of a mystery as to why he could be feeling uncomfortable with the situation.

"Alright, you two." Rin spoke before Shirou had a chance to talk, reaching into her pocket and grabbing two vials of liquid which she passed to the two of you. "Drink this, it's a depressive agent that will lessen the resistance from your body to this process, think of it as something like a general anesthetic." Rin explained the odd solution to you, and you downed it without hesitation, and Shirou quickly followed your lead. The concoction took rapid effect upon ingestion, and you could already feel your muscles getting weaker. "Sorry about this, Emiya-kun... but it's not going to be a pleasant experience... as for you, Matou... it would be a bother if you died from this."

You opened your mouth to respond, but only a jumbled slur of words came out, and you were pissed off by the fact that you no longer had the ability to make a comeback to Rin's dismissive comments, or the fact that there was apparently a chance of death. You could only watch as you slumped into the chair, waiting for Rin to approach you and Shirou, and the moment that she touched you, you could already feel that the ritual was starting... first there was a light buzzing, and then your entire body screamed with pain, every cell in your body screamed out in agony as you convulsed from the pain of the forced activation of your circuits, your vision started to darken as your brain was overloaded by the pain, and you finally lost consciousness.

Eventually, you found yourself opening your eyes once again, and your body ached all over... you were lying on a sofa with Rider looking at you from across the room on a chair. Or at least you assumed she was looking at you anyway, the blindfold made it kind of hard to tell. "Oh, good. You're awake Master."
>>
"I think I'd prefer to go back to sleep..." You groaned as you slowly got up, ignoring the aches and pains in your muscles as you tried, but being unable to overcome them and collapsing back in the sofa as your body failed you. "Oh brilliant." You groaned again, though this time you took a good look at Rider to see if your new ability to actually use magic to some level had managed to change anything... and to your surprise, it had!

[New Information]
Strength: D -> C
Mystic Eyes: A+: Cybele, the Mystic Eyes of Petrification, immensely powerful eyes that have the ability to immediately petrify anybody with Magical Energy at C rank or lower, eventually petrify those with B rank and pressure those with A rank or higher into having their physical parameters ranked down by an entire rank.

You were a little disappointed by the fact that her Agility hadn't increased, but you'd take what you could get. You then realized that you could've actually had Rider remove her blindfold a while ago as a result of not having enough Magical Energy to use her eyes... but maybe it didn't work that way and she'd just end up losing energy anyway just by unsealing them from removing the blindfold. You hoped that was the case anyway, otherwise you had made her wear the blindfold for no reason whatsoever.

"I'm afraid that if you want to do that you're going to have to do it somewhere else. I'm not exactly about to open my house as a hotel anytime soon." Rin chimed in apparently still present, and you grimaced a little. Shirou was already gone it seemed. The boy must've recovered before you had. You felt like telling Rin that she should consider it because she needed the money, but decided against it. The problem you were now facing was that it was quite late, and you were still incredibly exhausted from the ritual... and you didn't really think that heading home was a good idea now that you'd actually activated your circuits.

Zouken will easily see through our paltry acting skills.
We will also meet Sakura. ZOUKEN MIGHT ASK US TO FU€K HER!!!!)
>Ask Rin if you actually can stay at her house, Zouken might try to kill you.
(The possibility of her rejecting us is ridiculously high. Plus she will summon Archer Emiya soon. That bastard will just take one look at us and will understand that something is wrong with the timeline. He won't hesitate to torture or interrogate us for info, cause we are 'Shinji'. Yep definitely Bad Idea!)
>Fuck it, crash at Emiya's place, he won't say no.
(Sakura goes there every morning, and our mind is not in the right state to confront her! We are still feeling an extreme amount of guilt at past Shinji's actions.)
>Go spend the night at a hotel.
(A good idea but I like the car one better, cause the hotel may be far away from Rin's house)
>Who needs a house anyway? Steal another car and sleep in that.
(Yep Steal a car and sleep somewhere near Rin's house. We told Lancer we will be there. My vote goes to this.)

Dead quest

Fuck it, you'll just stay at Emiya's place. While you were tempted to try to push your luck by asking Rin if you could stay here of all places, you knew that the answer was pretty much a guaranteed no. Your relationship with Rin was pretty bad as it was, even if she was clearly rethinking her past interactions with Shinji, the fact of the matter was that even upon rethinking things the likelihood that she would just come to the conclusion that Shinji had been messing with her the entire time was fairly high. Of course, your relationship was realistically only going to get worse with Rin when she was told the whole truth about Sakura, but you fully intended to bring that up with the fact that you weren't really Shinji... or at least the same Shinji, it's pretty difficult to prove that, but hopefully with enough impossible knowledge she'd accept that as the truth.

"Alright then, seeya Tohsaka. I'm off to go see Emiya now, try not to burn down your house by trying to use a toaster without supervision." You taunted the magus girl as you decided to stay at Shirou's house, there was no point in playing nice at this point anyway, it's not like you could get anything else out of Rin and your relationship with the girl was obviously not going to ever be that good regardless of how you treated her or what you did. Shinji had made sure of that with his past actions, even if you were absolved of those actions, the point remained that you were in some way still responsible.

Rin growled in irritation as you got to your feet, your whole body hurt but after getting used to the aches it really wasn't that bad. There was no reason for you to remain bedridden, and you wanted to meet Shirou anyway. Would it be cheating to teach Shirou the Unlimited Blade Works chant...? Probably, but at this point who's counting anyway? It's not like he'll really get that much progress up until Archer is summoned anyway, and then you can just make the two of them beat the shit out of each other for a while until Shirou somehow inherits all the knowledge from his older self. It was resonance or something, though it sounded like bullshit to you, it still worked.

"Don't get yourself killed out there." Rin spoke with disinterest as you moved to leave the room, and you turned to face the girl, a little bit annoyed by her clear apathy.

"You know it would've been nicer to just ask me to stay safe... which of course, I will. There are no threats in this city that I'm not aware of after all, and Rider will take care of most of them anyway... oh, and you be careful yourself, I hear that there's secretly a powerful martial artist running around with the ability to decapitate people with nothing but his bare hands, so it might be that he was selected as a Master." Of course, that martial artist was none other than Kuzuki, and it wasn't impossible for such a fate to befall Rin, ironically.
>>
"What the hell does that mean?" Rin sounded annoyed by your nonsensical words, and you much preferred getting the last word in this way. Knowing Rin she'd probably spend hours trying to figure out just what you had meant by your odd comments, though the likelihood that she'd figure out that one of her school teachers was secretly a hyper lethal ex-assassin with skill superior to even that of Servants was pretty damn non-existent.

"Nothing important, see ya... Rin." You annoyingly used her first name to try to get on her nerves as you flicked a hand through your hair and left the room, satisfied at having left Rin with something far too cryptic for her to ever work out the meaning of, either she'd spend ages thinking about it or she'd just give up, either way it brought a smile to your face so that was all that mattered. Seriously, the thing that Rin lacked most in the world was somebody who she wasn't able to just outright consider herself better than. Of course, she was still a far superior magus to you and always would be, but you had access to things that Rin didn't, information. You wondered for a moment if you were forced to remain in this world if the world of Fate/Stay Night would follow a similar course that your own world did... because if that was the case, you'd be able to go full Back to the Future 2 on this shit and just make a fortune betting on sporting events and other global occurrences! Not to mention cryptocurrencies and the stock market! But planning your life in the future could wait until your life in the future was actually guaranteed not to end in the next couple of weeks.

You returned to the street with Rider, and immediately decided on your next course of action... your eyes hovered over a nearby parked vehicle for a moment before you shook your head. You couldn't justify going on a car thieving spree without possibly attracting police attention. Your body did ache, but not enough that you couldn't make it to Shirou's house, and even if you did collapse then Rider could just carry you anyway, she should know how to make her way over to his house anyway so there wasn't a worry of getting lost... probably.

"Come on Rider, let's go." You commanded your Servant who nodded slightly, taking on spiritual form as she followed behind you closely. It still felt strange that the Servant was being so much more protective of you than she had been before, but it was really to be expected now that you were a completely different person and you had goals that aligned with each other perfectly. You wanted to both survive and end the suffering of the people around you that you cared about and Rider was pretty much hyper-focused on ending Sakura's suffering in particular.
>>
You begun the trek to Shirou's house, you weren't in bad shape, and were actually about similar to Shirou in terms of your general fitness, though his tolerance for pain was obviously far superior to your own thanks to his masochistic self-inflictions that he called 'training' that would make a member of the special forces undergoing advanced interrogation resistance training tap out. It was surprising that he didn't wait for you before going home, but it wasn't that surprising, Sakura would've probably been waiting at his house and he hadn't really been given much of an opportunity to talk to her to tell her what he was up to... hell, you were kind of hoping that he hadn't spoken to her recently actually. That could end up being a disaster, which was why you were lucky that Shirou wasn't really the sort of person to pick up on information given to him unless he was sat down and it was explained to him in complete layman's terms.

It wasn't too long of a walk, but you really could've done without it. It was coming up to night time about now... around 8pm. You felt like you were sort of forgetting something as you approached the front door to Shirou's house but you dismissed the thought quickly, you'd saved Bazett so what could you possibly be forgetting at this point? Nothing, that's what.

You pressed the doorbell, waiting for a moment as you waited for an answer, and... the person who opened the door was somebody who you really should've been expecting. Her purple hair was unmistakable, and her eyes concealed a wary curiosity as to your sudden appearance at Shirou's front door at a relatively late hour. You felt the terrible memories coming back as you looked at her face, and you finally decided...

I'm kinda hoping Sakura can't sense our circuits or Zouken will already know and then it defeats the purpose of finding another place to stay.

You... quickly tried to suppress the memories, it was a stopgap measure, but it was the best you could manage right now. You knew that it was still going to take some time for you to fully come to terms with the memories that you didn't make, and that all that you'd be able to do until then was to try to suppress them, hide them in the back of your mind and try your hardest to not think too hard on them, ignoring the paradoxical problem that trying not to think about something would bring about.

"Ah... Sakura! I wasn't... expecting that you'd still be here." You tried to act calmly, but Sakura didn't really react either way. You probably should've been expecting that she'd be at Emiya's house considering that she didn't exactly enjoy going home, mostly because of Zouken, but you hadn't exactly played a small role in her suffering either.

"If you're wondering about Senpai... he's resting right now, and I'm taking care of things for him... he's been like this ever since he was late home..." Sakura's eyes narrowed at you, a motion that was almost imperceptible, and it was only because you were actually paying attention that you picked up on it at all. Could Sakura tell that you had your magic circuits activated...? Damn it, could she tell that the same had happened for Shirou as well?! Of course she'd be suspicious if Shirou came home feeling more... magical than normal, for lack of a better term. Sakura may not have been properly trained to use magecraft but she was almost certainly able to tell when somebody else was a magus when they were like Shirou and had just had the ability given to them! "You wouldn't happen to know anything about what happened to him, would you...? He didn't seem to be suffering from any cold or flu while he was in school, but now he's running a pretty high fever." A fever...? While you had no doubt that Shirou was going to get over it in no time, this still didn't exactly bode well.

"A fever...? Damn, I was hoping to be able to talk to him." You sighed... you really did need to talk to him in order to get permission to stay at his house. Maybe you could ask Taiga instead? She was technically Shirou's legal guardian, even if it usually appeared to be the other way around for most cases unless she was actually, well, trying her hardest to be serious. Though such cases were rare for her... tremendously rare.
>>
"You were...?" Sakura didn't sound like she believed you, she was well aware that recently Shirou and your relationship had fallen on the rocks... though she was also very likely aware that you too had managed to get your magic circuits activated somehow as well, it was unfortunate that she was just so difficult to read that you couldn't truly tell what she was thinking aside from that almost undetectable narrowing of her eyes earlier. Sakura was an expert at concealing her true feelings on things, to the point where it was honestly an active detriment... though you understood the reason why she never confessed her love for Shirou, aside from whatever ridiculous thoughts she might have about not being worthy of him, she also knew that getting the boy involved in the matters of the Matou family any closer than she already had would only bring sorrow to the two of them.

"Yeah, It's kind of important... but I can't really discuss it right now... not without talking it out with Shirou first." Talking it out with Shirou first and getting Sakura cured of the ailments inflicted upon her by Zouken, at least. You knew that Zouken could theoretically listen in on whatever Sakura was up to whenever he wanted to thanks to his familiars, but he simply didn't feel the need to under most circumstances... but you also knew that Zouken's familiars weren't just limited to those that were within Sakura, and that he may very well already be aware of what you were up to. You hadn't really thought about that when you were talking with Rider about planning to save Sakura, but somehow you doubted that he'd have any of his familiars lurking nearby the old Edelfelt mansion either, not without Lancer dealing with them anyway. For as gruff and thoughtless as Lancer sometimes made himself out to be, it couldn't be understated that his magical knowledge was incredible, his teacher had been resolute in her training to ensure that Cu Chulainn was just as capable a spellcaster as he was a warrior. "Can I come in then, Sakura? Even if Emiya isn't feeling very well, I'd prefer to wait for him to wake up. It's very important."

"Oh... of course, Nii-san." Sakura clearly wasn't expecting to actually be asked instead of just demanded, so it clearly caught her off guard a little bit. Had you been the Shinji of yesterday and he wanted to get into the house, he would have simply angrily barged past Sakura the moment he thought that she was trying to get in his way after demanding she move. Hell, he wouldn't have even bothered to have given her a cursory excuse as to why he wanted to come inside... this was the boy who was more than willing to hold his own sister hostage in order to gain an advantage... operative term being was, thankfully. God damn, what an asshole he was.
>>
Sakura moved aside and you walked inside of the house, making your way to what could only be the dining room and taking a seat opposite Taiga, who was still at Shirou's house. Sakura meekly came into the room a few seconds after you and made her way to the kitchen, and Taiga looked at you in confusion. "Oh, Shinji-kun, what brings you here at this hour?" Clearly, you had to come up with an excuse, but you knew just what so say...

"Ah, nothing much, it's just that today my Grandfather found an infestation of these horrible insects at the Matou house, so I've come to ask if it would be alright if Sakura and I stayed the night here rather than getting a hotel. The fumigation team has already finished work and the chemicals won't be gone until the morning, it's not safe for Sakura or me to return home just right now." The lie slipped off of your tongue as smoothly as possible, and you noticed Sakura freeze up for a moment in the background, confused as to just what you were getting at. Taiga meanwhile happily accepted what you were saying as truth.

"Ah, if that's the case, I'm sure that Shirou won't mind. He's taken ill since he got home though, so I'm not sure if he'll be up and about for the night... though you've got my permission anyway!" The teacher gave you a thumbs up, and you smiled happily, you didn't exactly enjoy having to lie, but it was only a partial lie, there was a horrible insect infestation at the Matou Mansion, though it came in the form of your grandfather himself... and the fumigation team would come in the form of a few Servants wiping out every damn bug in the place. You hoped to be able to get Caster on board for this, but Lancer would do just fine at wiping out Zouken's familiars, you thought.

"Thank you, Fujimura-san." You thanked the woman for her permission, not that you really needed it in reality, it's not exactly like she'd be able to stop you, even with her kendo skills. Besides, now that you actually had the ability to use magic, you'd just be able to hypnotize her if you needed to, Shinji had read a book on the functions of the human mind in relation to magecraft and one of the chapters covered hypnotism fairly well. In terms of magical theory, the truth was that you were probably only just behind Rin, the Matou were a far more prosperous and longer running family than the Tohsaka, and the grimoires that Shinji had spent most of his childhood obsessing over were of higher quality than anything that the Tohsaka would've been able to get their hands on! Hell, Shinji had even read a personal copy of the notes of Paracelsus that he'd given to Zouken as a gift when they knew each other! Of course, while you had all this theory locked away inside your head, you couldn't exactly use it all without worry, you couldn't come to terms with all of Shinji's memories just yet, which meant that you'd sort of have to search through the memories when you needed them.
>>
"No problem, I'm sure Shirou wouldn't say no to you and Sakura anyway!" Taiga was probably aware that Shirou and Shinji had had a falling out, but she was also aware of the sort of person that Shirou was, and that he wasn't the sort to ever really be able to hold grudges unless somebody was absolutely irredeemable and had done something that couldn't ever be forgiven... somebody like Kirei Kotomine or Zouken, for example. Though to tell the truth, Shinji before you took over was really only a step below either of those two fucking psychopaths in terms of how irredeemable he was.

Though you did need to decide how you were going to spend the time you had at Shirou's house now that you were staying for the night...

>Try to talk with Sakura, tell her the truth and what you're planning.
>Go bother Shirou, see if you can't discuss things with him despite his fever. He could withstand spine-melting pain, he could talk through a fever.

How about projection or bounded fields? Our intrusion into Shinji's body surely has changed his origin or element, and our perspective on this world being a story should still have the possibility of developing into a reality marble.

Shinji in universe as stated in the update has read quite a lot on magecraft so I'm assuming we could we sift through his memories assisted by meditation? Maybe. If so perhaps we can find some sort of magecraft to help us determine our origin and element assuming his origin and element aren't know to us(I know his element is probably absorption but I'm not sure on what his origin could be.)

I suggest Rune Magecraft. In Nasuverse, runes are a big thing, but most were lost in the sands of time. OC might have knowledge of Elder futhark runes from his past life which in Nasuverse are 18 Norse Runes.

Runes are very good for combat, you could cast elemental spell with them and reinforce yourself (Note: you probably won't be able to draw them in air like Cu and Scathach)

Bazett could reinforce herself to E rank strength (could crush human skulls) level just by using normal runes. And Cu using Norse Runes could raise all his parameters to A rank.

If you use Norse Runes to reinforce yourself you probably won't reach A rank strength like Cu (since he is a skilled 1-st rate mage).

But with Norse Runes you will be far above than Veteran mages like Bazett (who uses more simple runes) because they are old Magecraft, hence more mystery and power.

Hell you will probably reach high dead apostle or low servant level like Hansa and Jester from Fate/Strange Fake (by using 18 Norse Runes to reinforce yourself), those dudes could flip around cars and trucks like they are basketballs.

Given their feats those guys are way more stronger than F/Z Kotomine (he may need command seals to match them).

It would be a nice way to surprise your enemies (Kotomine, Zouken, Gil) who will obviously underestimate you, since to them you are a failure who lacks fighting skills and is incapable of performing Magecraft.

You quickly came to the decision that you'd retreat to Shirou's shed later on, there was no reason for you not to try to get a little bit of practice in with your new magical abilities... you had quite a bit of magical knowledge that you wanted to test out, first on your agenda though was attempting to figure out just what your element was... and maybe your origin as well. Of course, being made aware of your own origin could have some complications that you weren't sure if you wanted to deal with, so it might just be better to leave things at your element. Logic would dictate that your element would be water, though part of you was hoping you had something more interesting than just a basic element like that.

With your agenda for later in the night taken care of mostly, you started to focus on the room itself once again. You had zoned out for just a moment, though you didn't seem to have missed much, Taiga had turned to talk to Sakura, who was smiling in a matter that was clearly trying not to look awkward. Obviously she was taken aback by your sudden change in personality and outlook on things, and you wondered if she was already trying to figure out what had changed in you... even if she knew that you had managed to activate your magic circuits, that didn't neccessarily mean that she'd accept such a blatant change in your personality.

"So, a pest infestation, Sakura-chan?" Taiga seemed perplexed. "It must be some infestation if it's enough to make it so that the house has to be fully empty just to get rid of them."

"Oh... well..." Sakura was clearly feeling tremendously awkward about the situation, not really knowing what to say, whether you were working for Zouken and attempting to trick her into saying something that she might regret later on. "I don't really know, I guess that they must've found something dangerous, like a hornet's nest?" Sakura looked straight at you, and... wait, was that a warning?

"Yeah, something like that. Unfortunately, the damn things are incredibly difficult to kill, so it's going to take a while." You entered the conversation once again. "If the fumigation doesn't work, more serious measures might have to be taken." At this point you really were hoping that there was no possibility that Zouken could be watching it... but you'd also sort of stopped giving a shit anyway. Even if he was listening, what was he going to do anyway, kill Sakura? He'd have to be a complete retard to even fathom doing something like that with how much he actually had riding on her. The old worm bastard didn't even realize that you were playing chess, and he'd already been checkmated!
>>
"I see, well... here's hoping that the infestation isn't too much of a hassle." Taiga was being as polite as you'd expect her to be, perhaps a little bit too polite, but you didn't really care. So long as things were going in the right direction, it didn't matter how people treated you, and as bad as it might sound, Taiga was tremendously unimportant in the grand scheme. Sure, she was important to Shirou, but as far as the Grail War went, she was hardly even a side character!

"Oh, don't worry. I'll probably have the insects taken care of in the next few days... I tend to have to take care of a few things around the house because of Grandfather's advanced age." You had to keep the smile off of your face as you promised the death of Zouken to Sakura without actually saying a word to her about it, and it was clear that she was stunned by the prospect that you were thinking of turning against the old man. Not that you expected her to say anything to you about it, she wasn't exactly the sort to confront anyone, really.

"Well, that's good news." Taiga seemed to be relieved that the infestation wasn't seemingly that serious, before she turned to Sakura with a smile. "Well... it looks like you'll be staying here tonight, Sakura-chan!" Taiga seemed to be happy about things, though it was clear that Sakura was just trying to figure out what the hell was actually going on. If she asked, you'd explain things to her, of course... but you were sort of hoping that you weren't going to have to go through explaining things to anybody else just yet. You didn't know whether it could actually happen, but you couldn't completely discount the possibility that Zouken would actually hear what you were planning somehow if you were to discuss things with her. Right now, if he knows of your rebellion against him, he'd probably just write it off as some ridiculous act of rebellion as a result of you getting access to Rider and being able to fight in the Grail War.

"Yeah..." Under normal circumstances, Sakura would be incredibly excited by the prospect of staying at Shirou's home, but right now, it was clear that she was just too confused about what the hell was going on to be happy about the fortune of the situation she had found herself in. She was also obviously apprehensive, not sure if she was being tricked or trapped somehow, you wondered what Rider was thinking right about now, you were saying just about all that you could to try to let Sakura know what you were planning on doing without actually just giving the game up entirely, besides, it's not like you could actually say anything serious when Taiga was around anyway, so you'd just have to wait even if you did want to reveal things to Sakura.
>>
Sakura quickly finished cooking, some sort of noodle dish, you weren't exactly familiar with the name of the dish, but you ate it regardless, you weren't really interested in the flavor of the food at all, too focused on your planning for the future, but you had to admit that it tasted good. Though you didn't want to freak Sakura out any further by being too out of character in front of her and Taiga, so you simply retreated from the dining room and into the shed after you had finished. If Sakura wanted to seek you out, then you wouldn't mind, but otherwise you had quite a bit that you needed to be getting on with. Shinji had learned a fair amount of magecraft, though unfortunately none of the books that had been amassed by the Matou had anything to do with Rune Magecraft... and despite how simple they might've looked to create, being simple runic patterns, the true power behind rune magecraft wasn't the symbols, but it was the knowledge of how to infuse said symbols with the magical energy that they would need to take function. Even a talented modern magus using the same runes as somebody like Lancer for that reason would never be able to exact the true strength from the runes, as their method of drawing out the true strength of the runes was flawed and incomplete. It wasn't as simple as drawing a simple picture and putting magical energy into it, annoyingly.

Of course, there was one specific ritual that you wanted to undergo before anything else, and to do so, you ended up bringing a few things with you to the shed. The first was a glass of water, the second was a candle, and the third was a heap of earth from the garden. These were the three components that you would need to use in order to create a simplistic ritual to determine your magical element, a simple but effective ritual that would cause a change in the element that you were aligned to when you ran your magical energy into it.
>>
Rider materialized behind you as you entered the shed, her arms crossed while she remained silent as you messed around and tried to recall the specifics of the ritual, drawing a few magic circles on the floor that linked the three components together. Of course, there were only three components needed because the element of wind was one that was sort of... provided by the atmosphere around you, so it was safe to simply leave the space where you would have put an object relating to the wind completely blank. You used a lighter to light the candle before you positioned the three objects in the magic circle you had drawn on the floor of the shed in chalk, suitably far enough away from the one that would eventually be responsible from Saber though, you weren't exactly about ready to accidentally scuff your greatest chance of coming out of this Holy Grail War unscathed. You were sort of pinning all your hopes on Saber really, and while it was possible that you could maybe convince Caster to help you, Saber was your win condition. So long as she was summoned, you had a way that you could use to deal with every other threat that you faced, even Gilgamesh if he was unprepared for it would be struck down by her usage of Avalon, after all.

"There, that looks about right." You looked down on your work, satisfied with the symbols that you had drawn in place on the magic circle, it was a very crude basic circle in reality, but it was functional... or at least you hoped that it was functional anyway. "Now, I just need to finish the ritual..." All it would need was a single drop of blood that had been infused with magical energy, and it would activate, so without hesitating, you grabbed a nearby blade that had been left to the side and cut into your index finger very slightly, just enough to draw blood.

Satisfied with the cut, you activated your magic circuits, flooding your body with the mana in the surroundings as you used it to empower the drop of your blood as it dripped from your body, falling into the center of the ritual circle and causing the circle that you had drawn on the floor in chalk to flare to life, shining white as it was activated fully and you waited with bated breath as you waited to see just what effect it would have on the test circle that you had made.

First, the flame grew bright, intensifying, then the earth started to shift, the water started to ripple and you could feel a gust in the room emanating from the blank space. No... that didn't make sense, according to the grimoire you had the memories of reading, this sort of reaction was restricted only to those who were Average Ones!
>>
But just before you could get excited about your apparent tremendous amount of potential, something strange started to happen, the rippling of the water intensified to the point that it started to float free of the glass it was contained in, the flame from the candle started to grow even taller, the earth started to rise, and even the wind seemed to become visible, strands of shining light caught in the gust... and all four of the elemental archetypes started to converge towards a single point, floating above the magic circle until they had all merged together to create a single sphere of shining energy. Was this... Ether? No, the ritual book said nothing like this!

Then you spotted it, the drop of blood that you had allowed to fall onto the circle was rising too, rising upwards in order to meet the ball of unidentifiable energy that had been formed, and you waited, anxious to see just what would happen, until you were finally answered by the blood making contact with the ball of energy that the elemental archetypes had been transmuted into, and the room was bathed in blinding light that forced you to avert your gaze.

Though even after a few minutes of averting your gaze from the ball of energy, the light didn't actually decrease all too much, so you forced yourself to look at the object that had been formed, trying to ignore the fact that you would be dealing damage to your eyes by actually looking directly at it... and in looking at the object that was floating right above the magic circle, the reason for the blinding light was made infinitely clear. Floating just above the ground was a burning ball of fire... but it wasn't a simple ball of flames, no... this one appeared to be more like a miniature sun, it was unmistakable for a simple ball of flame, you'd seen enough images of the Sun to know the difference between a ball of fire and the cosmic body of Sol.

"But... what does it mean?" You were dumbfounded as you looked at the miniature star that your ritual had created, before the star blinked out of existence and left the room in darkness once again. The components used for the ritual had all been wiped out as a result of the formation of the star, but you still weren't sure just what the star actually meant. As much as you hated to admit it, this was something that you'd probably need to ask Rin for guidance on, you were pretty certain that you weren't an Average One atFg least though, that simply wouldn't make any sense given the fact that you were pretty damn sure that Average Ones didn't just accidentally create miniature cosmic bodies. Though you weren't under the illusion that you could just do what you did just then any time you wanted, toF cFreate the strange object you had not only needed the component pieces, but you also needed the fairly time-consuming ritual in order to create a rapidly consumed ball of cosmic power that blinked out of existence only a few seconds after forming.
>>
"I am... unsure myself, Master." Rider chimed in. "Your magic is at odds with what I know of magecraft wielded by humans." Not particularly useful, but at least that meant that it wasn't just you who was unaware of what the hell just happened. You were left wondering what you ought to do now that you'd figured out that your element wasn't any of the typical ones you had been expecting, but... it also wasn't one that you really had any real idea of discerning. With a new mystery presented to you, you were left with a decision.

>Try to figure out just what your element is. (How?)
>Experiment with your element, try to create things using it again.
>Go to bed, the sooner the morning came, the sooner you could talk with Shirou and maybe get him to early summon Saber.
>Do something else.

We are on page 8 is it time to make a new thread?
>>
>>5352552
This thread will be on board 9-10 more days, so no need

Why make a new thread when the last update was 3 days ago. It's dead.
>>
>>5352642
Have some patience please. Not every quest can be like Paradox Reincarnator was in its prime, pumping out four or five sizable updates a day.

Hey maybe there will be an update today from what i have seen qm usually updates in 2-3 days?

There will be an update right?
