Saiyans. Known throughout the universe as the warrior race, their power and combat prowess proved invaluable in the Covenant's downfall. And with the largest threat to the PTO destroyed, their remnants scattered across space, the universe has been united under one banner. Peace reigns across the galaxy, under the rule of Lord Freeza, Emperor of the Universe. But not all wish it to be this way. Remnants of those who were conquered are gathering in the shadows, increasing their power, and plotting their revenge. Despite this newfound age of peace swiftly spreading across the stars, there are those who would seek its end. Will you be able to stop them, or shall the universe once more be plunged into the fires of war?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest! This story takes place in an alternate timeline within the greater Dragonball EU. You the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Berserker Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power, widely recognized across the universe as Freeza's close friend and confidant, not to mention his right hand man and General of his forces. From humble beginnings on the now long gone Planet Vegeta, Karn has become the pride of his people, and their greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Karn informed Aku of the defeated Abyss dragon, the Shapeshifting Master of Darkness traveled through the Abyss directly to New Salda where Karn led the Abyssal being down into the former darkness. While exploring the caverns, looking for the bottom-most chamber they stumbled upon a sealed door, Karn opening it to find a sword radiating with ancient magic even older than Aku himself. So Karn took the weapon, then after finding the Abyssal dragon retrieved his Wolf Knight sword as well. Aku then consumed the beast, taking its power into himself then sparring Karn and checking over Chaya before departing. The next morning Chaya agreed to train with Karn, all to hunt for the 'Undefeated' former champion of Dreadzone. Then afterwards Karn reaches out to Chilli only to discover his son is under attack. Broly joins his father, and the two use Karn's Instant Transmission to aid him on his planet far, far away. And as we rejoin Karn, you've just given Chilli the sword even Aku feared.

“Woah. This thing....This is something else.” Chilli says, seemingly forgetting you all are still on a battlefield with several giant white dragons rapidly approaching his home with the Crimson Demon clan. The pale sword glows in his hand, your son putting away his staff and taking up the ancient blade in both hands. “This weapon is unlike anything I've ever seen. It's got a hint of divine magic in it, like that bastard Nabu's helmet did, but its real power is something older, stronger.”
“Well, take it for a spin.” Broly says, his left side and the giant stone scale shield he bears pointed towards the dragons. “Why not see what it can do?”
“I'm not sure.” he replies, eyes still glued to the luminous blade. “There's something....Off, with this weapon. I don't know what, but there's a power within it I've never felt before.”

Well? What do you say?
>Encourage Chilli to go for it and use the sword, and see what it can really do
>Tell him to always trust and follow his instincts
>Let him know that you and Broly can hold it down, and handle those dragons until he stores the sword away and comes back

“If your instincts are warning you against using this right now, then don't do it.” you say to him, giving him a small nod. “No matter what else happens, always trust and follow your instincts. You have them for a reason, they'll keep you alive if you listen to them.”
“I understand.” he replies, returning the nod then looking back to the weapon. He stares at it for another few seconds, then slightly shakes his head with a barely audible murmur, “Not yet.”

“GRRRROOOOOAAAAAAR!!” the lead dragon roars, closing the distance quickly.
“Here they come.” Broly shouts, grabbing his shield with both hands and bracing himself behind it. “Get ready!”
“Please stand back.” Chilli says, floating out between Broly and the approaching dragons. “I've got this.”

You and Broly exchange a look, but if he thinks he can handle them all on his own you're not going to stop him. Carefully Chilli passes off the sword to Broly, who gingerly holds the wide weapon as your firstborn son draws his staff once more. The crystalline scythe blade quickly reforms itself from the staff's head, your son staring down the approaching half dozen giant beasts.

“Dark Magic: Black Hole!” he shouts, thrusting his staff forward and creating a small point of infinite darkness in the middle of their formation. This catches all of the beasts by surprise, the intense gravity drawing them all towards the center. The two smaller ones at the back are unable to resist the tiny orb's pull, you watching in surprise as the gravity well draws the colossal beasts in. Their bodies can't withstand the pressure, which crushes and twists them down as their entire mass is somehow absorbed down into that small point. Before their bodies are even gone their ki both simultaneously vanish, your son killing them effortlessly. Then the lead, largest dragon's eyes flash, and with a bellowing roar Chilli's attack just ends. “Tch. Got two of you this time.”

“Wait, you didn't stop it?” you ask his back, Chilli shaking his head as he draws his staff back, preparing another spell. “I didn't know they could stop magic.”
“Means you an' I have a bigger advantage against them.” Broly says, clearly still wanting to help despite his brother's words.
“True. But this is his world.” you say, watching as Chilli once more goes on the attack.
“Dark Magic: Dark Slash!” he shouts, swinging his staff and firing off a Death Slash of pitch-black magical energy. Again the lead dragon roars, eyes flashing and again his magic just vanishes. If his magic keeps getting negated, he'll have to go on the offensive with his ki and might. But seeing the smirk on his face, you doubt he'll be going down that path.

“Crystal Magic: Crystal Spear!” he shouts, forming a lance of sharp crystal around his staff. Then he throws it forward, the lance of magical gemstone breaking free from his staff and flying directly towards the largest of the dragons. Once more its eyes flash as it roars, but this time Chilli's attack doesn't vanish. The slightly-luminous crystals lose their luster, but the lance itself keeps going. The dragon isn't able to dodge, the lance firing true and slamming into the beast's chest. His spear pierces through the dragon's scaled hide easily, its ki vanishing after a second. “Heh, counter THAT.”
“Not bad.” you hear Broly say, Chilli drawing his staff back and once more thrusting his staff forward.

“Crystal Magic: Chains of Judgment!” he shouts, and you see what he learned from his battle against the so-called god Nabu. Chains similar to those the divine being used spring out from the lance embedded in the dead, falling dragon, lunging out and wrapping themselves around the other three. His magic binds the other three simultaneously, halting their flying and sending all four down towards the ground. But this only lasts for a second, as with separate roars the three dragons' eyes flash and what looks like a second layer of crystal envelops the chains. “Ice magic? That can't break through my-”

But as he says this, suddenly you see what they'd been aiming for, all three of their magic meeting at the fourth's corpse and suddenly another chain lashes out at your son. Before he can react the icy chain binds him, dragging him down with them towards the ground.

“Chilli!” Broly exclaims, clearly shocked by the sudden turn of events. But your eyes are focused on your son, who only seems mildly annoyed at this development.

But what now?
>Fly down and use your own weapon, cut down the largest of the living dragons

As Chilli drops, bound to he trio of dragons, you see Broly preparing to fly down after them. So before he can, you reach out, placing your hand on his shoulder. He turns back, you shaking your head once.

“Aren't we here to help?” he asks as you turn your gaze back to Chilli. Who, very clearly, does not need your help.
“Crystal Magic: Crystallize.” he says, you and Broly both watching as the crystals from his chain begin spreading across the dragons' bodies. You remember how quickly he'd incapacitated Chaya with the same magic, at least for a time, but today you can see the full effects of his training. His crystallization of his sister seemed quick back then, but compared to how fast they completely entomb the bodies of these three dragons, you would think he had been fighting her in slow motion. They are completely encased in under a second, unable to move or fight back as their bodies keep dropping.

Once they're incapacitated he focuses on freeing himself, drawing his staff back, then with a contemptuous flick of his wrist severs the frozen crystal chain binding him. The four beasts drop, crystal-encased bodies crashing down to the ground right outside his home. You look to them, and then see something you hadn't noticed yet. Over the mountain, on the opposite side of the Crimson Demon Village, you see a bolt of lightning striking down right next to what appears to be a fire tornado, the obviously-magical attacks tearing through a horde of some sort of small, humanoid monsters. You see a dozen figures wearing the familiar robes of the Crimson Demon Clan posted on some sort of observatory, firing their heavy-duty magic indiscriminately into the approaching horde.

“HAA!” Chilli then shouts, flaring his aura golden for a moment and using the strength of a Super Saiyan to shatter the icy chain binding him. But the moment Chilli's free he reverts back to his base form, all with time to catch his pointed hat that'd been blasted off his head by transforming. “That should be the last of them.”
“Last?” you ask, flying down to his side and looking out towards the horde of monsters. “You're not going to help?”
“That's Megumin's job.” he replies, turning and looking towards the top of his home. You look over as well, and see her standing atop the building's ceiling, looking up at the three of you. Chilli gives her the thumbs up, his wife returning the gesture before turning her gaze towards the battle raging down below. With a flick of her cape, she stands up tall, pointing her staff towards the monsters. You know exactly what this means and brace yourself.

“MY NAME IS MEGUMIN!” she declares, shouting down to both her clansmen and the enemy they're firing upon. “Greatest Archwizard of the Crimson Demon Clan, and she who seeks to master Explosion magic! My time of awakening cometh! In the name of the Crimson Demons, let the collapse of thine origin manifest. Burst forth, EXPLOOOOOSION!!”

KABOOM

Her magic is released in a fiery blast, the titanic explosion consuming untold thousands of the monsters instantly. Her fireball of unparalleled destruction dwarfs the attacks of her fellow Crimson Demons, who each cry out as the shock wave washes over them. A second or two later it hits the three of you, you feeling it all the way down in your bones. Once her blast ends, you look back over to Chilli's wife to see she's leaning against their home for support, watching the so-called Demon King's forces break and flee. They no longer keep pressing forward, instead fully fleeing from the newly-made crater.

“Looks like both of you have been getting stronger.” you say, the three of you landing atop the roof by Chilli's wife. Who looks up at you and Broly with a hint of worry in her eyes as she's struggling to catch her breath from the exertion.
“Easy, everything's fine.” he says, holding up the sword. “Dad found this, and wanted Chilli to take a look at it.”
“Ooooh, I see.” she replies to him, then turns back to her husband. “How-How was that?”
“It was the best this month, one hundred thirty points.” he says to her, you having no idea what they're talking about but it does make her smile. He then gives her a quick kiss, before turning back to Broly. “This thing is rather unique, I've never see anything li-”

But as Chilli reaches for the weapon, Broly draws his hand back. Your magical son stops moving, eyes narrowing with concern as he looks up at Broly. Who look almost offended Chilli'd tried to take the weapon. But that only lasts for a moment, your son seemingly snapping out of it and looking down at the weapon in confusion.

You see your son looking between the sword and his brother, the confusion clear on his face. He no doubt wanted to hand it over, but something came over him and stopped him. Was this the odd power Chilli noticed? You decide to not take any chances and before either of the boys can react you move. Blitzing forward you dash to Broly's right side, snatching the ancient weapon by the crossguard. He sees you, eyes widening as he tries to pull it back away, but you're too quick and jerk the weapon from his hands. As you do, for a moment you see genuine rage on his face, emerald aura blazing but then he stops, looking even more confused.

"Wh-huh? What was that?" he asks, looking from his hands to the sword, to you, dumbfounded. "Why...?"
"That weapon's dangerous." Chilli says, walking over with a concerned look in his eyes. "I knew I could sense something malicious coming from it.”
“Which is why I want you looking over this thing.” you say, holding the weapon out towards Chilli. From the corner of your eye you see Broly reach out towards the sword, stopping himself short and grabbing his right wrist with his left hand. Chilli hesitates, not eager to take up the sword again. “You and Raven are the only two I could trust this to, but I think you'll be able to really understand it better. Especially with all your crystal magic you use.”

“Very well.” he says after a moment's thought, steeling his resolve and reaching out to grasp the sword. He hesitates at about the spot Broly'd pulled back from him, but you don't move or even react. So after a second's silence reaches out the rest of the way, taking up the blade. Once more it becomes more luminous in his hand, shining with that same pale light. But after a moment the light begins to fade, you releasing the breath you hadn't known you were holding in. “It's strong. But I'll get to this later, right now there are several weeks worth of food for the villagers down there, along with a small fortune in different dragon parts so I should get to work. Will you two be staying long, or are you headed out already?”

"We can hang around for a bit and help you with your dragons." you say to him. "Unless you don't want help, then we can just go back."
"No no, I'd appreciate it." he says with a genuine smile before hefting the sword. "Just a moment, let me put this away. I'll meet you both by them."
"We'll see you there." you tell him, turning to Broly who's eyes haven't left the sword. He stares at it until Chilli heads down the stairs, then once eye contact with the weapon is broken he blinks, shaking his head. “You okay?”
“Y-Yeah, I'm fine.” he says, clearly forcing himself to turn fully away from the open doorway. “Let's go.”

Without another word he leaps down, jumping from the roof. You follow his energy as he drops with your ki sense, then suddenly realize something odd. There's another tiny ki signature by where he lands. Curious, you leap down as well, landing beside your son only to find him looking at a woman embedded in the crystal wall of Chilli's home.

“What the hell?” you mutter, confused. The person isn't wearing the typical clothes of the Crimson Demons, in fact her clothes are entirely unfamiliar. Who is she, and why has your son trapped someone within the walls of his home? But, and perhaps even more alarming, how are they still alive without being able to breathe? You continue to stare, the curiosity before you not presenting any answers.
“Oh, you found her.” Chilli suddenly says from behind you, turning and seeing him holding what seem to be a pair of bone knives. “Just leave her be.”

“Who is she?” Broly asks, not turning away.
“The avatar of a goddess, out for vengeance.” Chili replies. “I killed her sister goddess, so now she kept sending these goons after me. But since I trapped her essence within my home, she hasn't been able to escape or send anything else after me.”
“Your crystals trapped a goddess? Well done.” you say, reaching up and ruffling his hair for a moment. “We'll follow your lead.”

“Let's go.” he says, kicking off the ground. You and Broly follow behind, leaving emerald trails as the two of you fly. Chilli doesn't bother transforming, taking his time flying directly to the bodies. He lands beside the four dragons, walking directly over to the largest. You approach another one, Broly going to another one trapped within his brother's crystals. Chilli sets the bone knives down, then as he turns you swing your right arm down in a vicious chop directly behind the jaw and through the neck of the one at your feet. “Woah, hold on dad. There's a way to do this, and save as much of the meat, scales, and valuable pieces as possible. First, swords out.”

Chilli throws his right arm wide, pale Energy Blade extending out and around his hand. You and Broly follow suit, drawing your own energies out into identical cutting edges.

You follow your son's directions, making the same cuts he does against the dragon corpses. But it's clear he's become an expert at this, saving everything from the scales and bones to the teeth, and even its organs. You don't do as well as him, nicking several of the organs with your blade as you remove them. But he says its fine, stopping your before you go for the heart.

“Hold on. This one has to come out intact.” he says, shrinking his blade down to the only size of his own hand. He carefully reaches in, cutting the organ free then covering his left hand in his magical crystals, pulling it free. “These are the most valuable organs in a dragon, and they're the source of their power.”
“Like this?” Broly asks, you both turning and seeing him holding a freed heart as well. For a single second you see Chilli panic, worried his brother is touching it directly. But then you both notice he's shielding himself with your Energy Body technique, the cold organ not touching him directly. But as the three of you watch, ice begins forming on his energy. “Oh, so that's why you told me not to touch its organs.”

“Their hearts are incredibly cold, and will freeze to your hand on contact.” Chilli answers, taking the heart from Broly as well before setting both into the crystal chest separate from the others he'd created just for the different internal organs. “Which is why they're such a rare commodity. In a sealed room, they work essentially the same way as Silver's freezer back on the ship.”
“Huh. That's interesting.” you say, Chilli leaving you to take the flesh off the bones. A task that's easy enough, and within the hour the three of you have cut down the massive beasts down to thirty chests of raw meat, twelve boxes full of various organs, and three large piles of completely stripped dragon bones. The claws, horns, teeth and talons in one, skulls in another, and the rest of the bones in a third. “Phew. That was more work than I'm used to.”

“Dragons are incredibly valuable to the people of this world, so whenever I kill one I make sure to take everything I can.” your son replies proudly. “With the four of them here, the village will be eating good for several months to come.”
“Months? Are you sure?” Broly asks, not remembering how little they eat in comparison.
“The Crimson Demons don't eat like we do.” Chilli replies with a laugh, Broly seemingly finally over that odd compulsion that sword had placed on him. “Oh, and before I forget. Here, take these.”

Chilli turns to the piles and to your surprise draws out a pair of bone weapons, each looking rather different from the other. In his right he holds a rather sizable sword, and from what you now know of dragon anatomy, it was carved from the spear-like tailbone of a rather big one. The other is a rather unassuming knife, made of bone with a presumably dragon leather-wrapped handle.

“These are for you two, for helping me out today.” he says, holding the two weapons. “Haven't made a scabbard for either yet, but they're yours if you want them.”

Well?

"Take first pick Broly. Whichever you want is yours." you say, your green-haired son looking back from the weapons to you, then back. He walks up to Chilli, looking them both over. He stops as he looks over the sword, raising his eyes to meet Chilli's.
“Doesn't this one seem....Familiar to you?” Broly asks him, a note of unease in his voice. “Doesn't it feel like like that other one?”
“The one dad found?” Chilli asks, taking a second look at the sword he'd carved. They both look intensely at the sword for a moment, you looking on curiously. “....Huh. Now that you mention it....”

“Do you want to keep it, and look them both over?” Broly asks, Chilli shaking his head.
“No no, I have a whole pile of them here.” he replies, gesturing over to the tailbones. “I'd planned on making one weapon for everyone and bringing them all over when they were done. But this saved me a few hours, so you two can have first dibs.”
“Very well. I'll take this one then.” Broly says, picking up the sword. As he does, you notice something immediately. Taking the offered weapon, Broly adjusts it in his grip for a second, the weapon shaking and the oddest thing happens. Little motes of something start raining down from the weapon, barely noticeable against his Energy Body but you still see them.

“Hey, Broly. Try something for me.” you say, both boys turning towards you. Drawing your own sword off of your back, you channel a bit of ki into the blade. As you do, the ancient sword begins emitting a faint azure glow, both boys looking at it in surprise. “Try and channel a bit of ki into it. I think something's going to happen.”
“Not towards all this, aim over there.” Chilli says, aiming his brother away from the dragon parts and instead towards a nearby tree. Broly does, stepping forward and pointing the weapon towards it. Then, as you feel his ki enter the dragon bone, something unexpected happens. The weapon begins growing its own frost, the entire dragon tail bone covered completely by ice in a second. Without saying a word he suddenly dashes forward, thrusting the sword point-first down into the ground. And as he does, he suddenly disappears. A storm of icy wind explodes up from the point of contact, his body disappearing inside the freezing tornado. Your jaw drops open a bit, shocked by that display of power.

“Woah.” you say, the effect lasting for several seconds before it fades away. Revealing Broly's perfectly fine, not a hint of ice on him. But the tree and the ground around him are both frozen completely solid, the weapon in his hand is still coated as well. Frost drops off of it as he walks back, Broly looking over it as he heads over. “I take it you're happy with that one?”

“I like it.” he says, then to your surprise thrusts the weapon down into his shield! You and Chilli both take a step forward, but then he holds his left out and reveals that the space between the arm supports and his forearm holds the sword almost perfectly. “I'll take this one.”

“Then I'll take the other one.” you say, Chilli flipping the knife in his hand to hold it by the blade, and offer the weapon to you handle-first. You nod, taking the weapon in your hand. It is a little small for your hand, you only getting three of your Berserker fingers on the handle. But you don't see the same effect the sword had before, no hints of it possessing any sort of special power. You take a deep breath, and sighing out revert back to your base form. Once shrunk down, the weapon's handle actually fitting in your hand. Looking up you see them both looking expectantly towards you, no doubt waiting for you to start infusing it with your own ki and to show what it can do.

Well? Which power does this dragon bone weapon have? That's right, player's choice on this one. But choose wisely, as this can only be chosen once:

"Well, let's see what it can do." you say, taking a couple steps towards the frozen tree. Holding the knife out, you begin channeling your ki into the weapon. As you do, the blade glows with azure power, almost identical to your Wolf Knight sword except it it several shades darker. But the moment you stop channeling ki into the weapon, the glow simply vanishes as if it never were.
“What?” you hear Broly ask, clearly confused.
“Did it break?” Chilli asks, no doubt worried your energy was too much for the weapon. So you turn around and repeat what you'd done, once more channeling your ki into the dagger. And once again, the moment you stop the light quickly fades away to nothing.

“...Huh. That's....something?” Chilli says, clearly confused as well. “Why does it...?”
“Try hitting the tree?” Broly offers, you nodding in acknowledgment. Once more you turn back to the tree, channeling your ki into the weapon until it glows, then thrust it at the frozen tree. The azure aura'd bone weapon pierces easily through the ice and bark both, sinking up to your hand inside it. Carefully you draw the weapon out, stopping the flow of energy into the blade and ending the light. But nothing else happens. “Oh. Well, that's a bit underwhelming.”

“Guess every magic item isn't made equally.” you say, Chilli walking up to you. He's looking at the dagger rather intently, you offering it to him. But he doesn't take it back. “What is it? Did you notice something?”
“The magic radiating from it, that feels kinda familiar.” he says, looking it over. You once more channel your ki into it, Chilli squinting and studying it closely.
“Whatever its doing, it is quite energy-consuming.” you say, stopping the flow of ki into the dragon bone and the light fades. “The moment I stop channeling power into it, the light fades.”
“Wait, the effect is continuous?” he asks, you nodding once. “I see. Perhaps I'll take the rest of that bone and carve another to run some tests on it. If I figure out why it seems familiar, I'll let you know. But it may take a bit, between testing it and that sword you left for me.”

“Take your time, I'm in no rush Chilli. You've clearly got your hands full here.” you tell him, gesturing over to the dozens of crystal chests he built. “Speaking of, where do you want all of these?”
“Let's take them down to the magic item shop.” he says, using his telekinesis to lift seven of them himself. You grab a dozen, Broly lifting the rest himself, and you all take off down to the village. You and Broly follow Chilli, who leads you all directly to a building that seems a bit nicer than the rest of those around it. As you all touch down, a familiar figure emerges from within.

“Chilli, I take it these are the dragons?” he asks, then notices you and Broly behind him. “Ah, General Karn. Good to see you again. How have you been?”
“Same as ever. Killed an Abyssal Dragon the other day, thanks to this sword.” you say, reaching up and tapping the Wolf Knight sword's handle hanging on your back. “How about yourself?”
“Nothing quite so exciting. But the business has really been taking off lately.” he replies, a sparkle in his eyes. The man's robes even seem newer, no longer the patchwork cloak you're more familiar with. “Thanks to all these dragon products selling excellently to the shops in Axel, we've been able to expand the business. Even the Capitol sends buyers for some of the more select cuts of dragon meat from time to time. Turns out dragon meat can actually grant experience points to adventurers as well, who'd have thought?”

“Experience points?” you ask, confused. Chilli and Megumin's father Hyoizaburoo both draw out pieces of parchment from their robes.
“They're a ranking system, based off of how many monsters you defeat and quests you complete for the Adventurer's Guild.” Chilli clarifies, finger pointing out a number you can't quite read. “As you gather more points and level up your class, you can gain new abilities based off the class you are.”
“I see.” you say, not wholly comprehending it. But what you do get is that he has been hard at work since he got here.
“Level forty eight? Is that good?” Broly asks his brother, Hyoizaburoo making a choking sound. And judging from that alone, yes it is pretty good.

You and Broly help the two wizards put the boxes away inside the shop for the next several minutes, storing them all in the back and letting the older wizard label them. Then once it's all done, you and your sons emerging from the back with Megumin's father an unfamiliar figure suddenly walks through the front door. And immediately your instincts start screaming at you that this figure means trouble.

“Wa haa! Boy who has recently awakened his carnal desires, and the magical item crafter who's son-in-law has single-handedly saved his failing business.” a mask wearing man says, stepping in with all the confidence of a natural killer. Your skin crawls in his presence, his energy feeling just as familiar as it is menacing. You've felt something like that being before, but don't recognize it immediately. Where have you felt ki like this before? “And who's this? A man who's body is soaked in more blood than this entire planet. You must be the boy's father.”

As you look at the creature, suddenly you begin to recognize that energy. It's been a while since you've seen Raven go all-out, but you clearly recognize the similarities between their ki. This thing is a demon.

“I don't know what you are doing here.” you say, positioning yourself between your family and the demon. “But I will eradicate you like Trigon if you try something.”
“Oh? You are the one who took down that overblown windbag? Impressive work, for a mortal.” the demon says, clearly not intimidated by you. Or, at least not trying to show any signs of intimidation. But as the demon straightens up, drawing more into itself and not leaving its body so exposed, you get the clear feeling that he has immediately classified you as a threat as well. “To think you'd end up all the way out here.”
“Chilli, Hyoizaburoo, want me to remove this thing before it can cause any trouble?” you ask them, not taking your eyes off of the demon. “Or do either of you know this demon?”

“Please don't harass the customers, General Karn.” Hyoizaburoo says, stepping past you and towards the demon. “Welcome Vanir, welcome. We just got several more dragons' worth of inventory, you won't find fresher.”
“One moment, dear supplier.” the demon apparently named Vanir says, stepping forward and to his left just enough to not have Hyoizaburoo standing directly between the two of you. “I found something far more interesting than some bones and organs.”
“Be careful dad.” Chilli speaks up suddenly. “He's an archdevil who feasts on the negative emotions of people. Don't let him wind you up.”
“No need to ruin all my fun. I don't interfere when you're having your fun.” the archdevil retorts, then smirks as he continues. “Alone in your secluded fortress, just the two of you when you both get-”

“That's enough.” Hyoizaburoo says, cutting off Vanir. “He's no problem, General Karn, we'll be just fine.”
“Thanks for the help today dad.” Chilli says to you. “But we can take it from here.”
“Are you sure?” you ask him telepathically, Chilli only nodding in response. You aren't sure how to take that, staring down the demon. “Alright. But if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.”
“If I need your help, I certainly will.” he replies, you glancing back to see his gaze is also focused hard on the demon. Who's simply standing there, smirking at being the center of attention.

“Come on Broly, we should get back.” you say to your emerald-haired son, turning from the demon and holding out your left hand. He takes it with his right, as you raise your right to your own forehead. “See you later kiddo.”

Then with a thought you reach out telepathically, linking minds with your wife before focusing on her ki through it and teleporting yourself and Broly back home. If this were your son from a year ago, or even six months ago, you wouldn't dare leave him alone with such a clearly-dangerous being. But he's gotten so much stronger over such a short period of time, you're confident he can handle a single menacing demon. After all, he's handled a whole lot worse since his encounter with that damned clown. Your son has almost killed one god and since he's been here, he apparently killed another. One single demon couldn't possibly be a comparable threat.

“There you are hun.” Meloka says, a smile on her face. “How's Chilli doing?”
“He's doing better.” you answer, feeling a small smile come to your face as well. “He's doing a lot better.”
“That's good to hear.” she says, knowing full well what you're talking about. “Looks like he left both of you with something as well.”
“Yeah.” you reply, relaxing your hold on the knife at your waist with your tail, holding it up for her to see. “Apparently he's been busy killing dragons.”
“Woah!” Maz and Kayle shout, looking at the sword Broly'd chosen for himself. “That's so cool!”

“Oh yeah. Stand back, and watch this.” he says, taking several steps away to show them just what it can do. Once again he channels his ki into the weapon, thrusting it into the sand to create the frozen blizzard around himself. You look down at the younger twins, their eyes wide in awe at watching his new weapon's ability. You smile at this, enjoying watching their eyes and even Chaya's light up at the unusual display. Once he's done, drawing the weapon back out of the ground, they rush over excitedly and both start talking a mile a minute. Chaya also goes over to them, looking the weapon over curiously as he starts explaining it. You wrap your right arm around your wife's shoulders, looking over the kids as they excitedly discuss the weapon, and what they hope their weapons Chilli's making for them can do. You enjoy seeing their excitement, relaxing and just enjoying being. No imminent threats, no big battles on the horizon, you can just live in the moment and enjoy being. You're going to keep getting stronger, increasing your might to be strong enough to protect your family. No matter what it takes.

“Good, you all are mostly together.” Towa suddenly thinks to you. “Are you all ready to come back?”
“Absolutely.” you reply, feeling your grin widen. You're going to get strong enough to protect ALL of your family.

All this griping about SOM makes me glad I wasn't around to seethe over his many "Rocks fall You die" quests, but I am curious about how each ridiculous trainwreck came to be. I know atleast that before Tofoo there was Kaguya, and that the former died to Cell asploding the Earth because of a fucked up Mafuba. seriously though how do you fuck that up

Let’s see, in Tofoo’s quest they died to a single dice roll twice, rolled a 95 and still failed on a hidden dc that got the fusion of Tofoo and Goku Mafuba’d by an imperfect cell, if I recall correctly. The players were real salty about that one, and the quest died right about there. Someone else wrote an ending for it, if I’m remembering correctly.

Which all points to the biggest problem, and what I learned as a QM from his quests. You can’t stick to the rails too hard. If your players call for something unexpected like befrending a simple write off boss you then had to write a whole ass backstory and plotline for, you can’t just override them. Same with hidden DCs, I think the highest I’ve put behind a ?? was either a 70 or an 80. Except for the requiem battle, but Lyin’ Eyes Requiem was special.

How the fuck would the Evil Containment Wave work on a Goku fusion? Fucking HOW
>You can’t stick to the rails too hard. If your players call for something unexpected you can’t just override them.
That is very true. I'm still trying to learn from other quests and QMs to eventually run my own, though my biggest hurdle is with committment and scheduling, especially with college coming up.

QM UPDATE

Four posts in on the epilogue, things are getting quite interesting. Bringing Aqua to King Cold has had some....unexpected consequences. And surprisingly more of them are positive than negative

Neither Nappa nor Vegeta either. Nor any of the more ‘wild’ Saiyans we saw, according to the anime.

GD, I think it's safe to assume that there's almost zero overlap between people who like DBZ enough to play in a CYOA based off of it and people who've read or watched Konosuba.

>>5375252
Not quite.
>>
I mean sure Aqua CAN do her thing, but for all she's an absolute moron, she does have a once in a blue moon period of common sense or divine action. See when she ran into....Kars or Karn or Chilli, can't remember, and eruopted into divine power and was legit about to throw down.

So really it comes down to Colds ability to sell a deal and Aquas ability to Aqua up the process.
>>
>>5375261
King Cold has no idea deities can break curses. He’s been on friendly terms with the Supreme Kai for centuries, and he’s never even TRIED to heal him after all.

>and he’s never even TRIED to heal him after all
I'm starting to think we should let Cold have a swing at Shin instead.
>>
>>5375331
>King Cold has no idea deities can break curses. He’s been on friendly terms with the Supreme Kai for centuries, and he’s never even TRIED to heal him after all.
I mean why would he? In his old and crippled state, King Colds a predictable and very effective power balancer when it comes to galatic politics, and it keeps him out of the limelight and focused on hunting down Babadi.

If hes healed however, he WILL start stepping onto the galactic stage again, and start reliving his Good Old Days. Which weren't good for anyone but him. Thats not what Shin needs to deal with when he can avoid it. Plus it would by necessity, mean Cold would focus less on hunting Babidi and Buu, which Shin ALSO doesn't want.
>>
>>5375331
Does he know Shin is super incompetent? Its probably for the best, he would make it worse.

At that point, even old and damaged he still showed up. During both Covenant sieges, not just the big one. He is still hell-bent on destroying Buu, but losing an asset as powerful as the Saiyans were becoming was such a risk he had to enter the fray himself.
>>5375365
He knows that Shin is nowhere as powerful, wise, or intelligent as his predecessor. But neither of them know what the limits of a deity’s power actually are or can be. However, there is one being who is looking for the limits of not only mortal and divine ki, but now magic as well
>>
>>5375401
I'm looking forward to Kars actually pulling his weight someday.
Has he managed to convince Whis and Beerus that he's a better fit for Supreme Kai?
Because I'm gonna be real, Shin ain't cut out for it.

I don't think I'm ready for the sheer, primal anger Karn will unleash when he comes face to face with THAT.
>You are now imagining the scene where Zamasu tells Karn instead of Goku what he did to his family.
>>5375409
As much as I distrust Kars, the queue for "Kick Shin in the shins" grows by the day. He's a (relatively) smart deity, so maybe he WON'T be nearly as big of a fuck up as his associates.
>>
>>5375418
Kars is also probably aware of the fact that there's at least a handful of people who can destroy him permanently if he steps out of line, so that's probably a pretty good incentive to actually do the job well.

Makes me glad we iced Shalnark all those threads back with THE PLAN.
>>

Only Kars(of beings that are actually alive) of Universe 7 could do such a thing, but why would he? Saiyans are extremely powerful and somewhat unpredictable.

The fact Vegeta keeps saying that his UE is "evolving" makes me think it hasn't been mastered, much less reached its true potential/form. It would've been way better to show Vegeta's UE in the sign to illustrate its better far from completed. This month-long break will probably be used to redesign UE among other things basic on people's perceptive of the form. I'm hoping the form gets deeply fleshed out cause right now it's frustratingly disappointing.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 180 Intermission-

AGE 750, KING COLD'S PLANET

“So, let me get this straight.” King Cold says, relaxing in his throne with a glass of wine in one hand, his chin in the other as he looks down upon you all. Mostly you, as you feel the intense urge to crawl in a hole and die under his menacing stare. “You're saying that you were reincarnated by the gods to bring balance to a world by defeating a so-called Demon King. But you've abandoned that mission to bring my son to these “Dragon Balls” that will somehow have his wish granted?”
“Th-That's correct, your highness.” you say, fighting the urge to prostrate yourself before him and instead bowing as is custom from your original home. “I thought that if I helped Lord Freeza fulfill his heart's desire, he would help me life a risk-free life of luxury and leisure.”

“And you, you tagged along with his group, planning to come here and steal from me.” he says, turning his gaze to Chris. Whose hands have been bound together before her, so she cannot activate her Steal. Yet despite being powerless before one of the most powerful beings in the universe, she seems completely unphased, looking unapologetically up to him. Or, more specifically, the clearly valuable golden goblet he's been drinking from instead. Once a thief, always a thief. “This so-called divine relic you say you're after. A powerful artifact from the divine realm itself was entrusted to a mortal who'd been resurrected, much like this man Kazuma here?”
“Yes, your highness. That is how it was explained to me.” Chris replies honestly. “I was told to find and retrieve the relic and place the seal on it that will return it to the divine realm.”

“And now you.” King Cold continues, turning to face Aqua as you feel yourself break out in a sweat. This is the moment you were afraid of. “When this man was resurrected, you were sent along as his divine aid to help in place of one of these relics?”
“That's right. He may look slow, but Kazuma here's pretty bright.” she says flippantly, showing no reverence to a being that can erase her with a thought. “He's nut as dumb as he looks. He could have chosen one of dozens of other artifacts, or 'cheat items', but instead he chose to be accompanied by the great and powerful goddess Aqua.”

As she talks, you can't help but slap your hand over your face while stifling a groan. You are Kazuma, former Japanese Neet-turned-adventurer who is now also a space traveler under the protection of the universe's emperor, the powerful Lord Freeza. Trading your otherworldly knowledge of the universe in exchange for your safety and a chance at living the good life, you'd thought this would be your lucky break. But here, in the throne room of his father King Cold, you feel that your life has never been in greater danger.

“If you are the powerful goddess that you claim, then why can't I sense any overwhelming divine ki from you?” he asks, Aqua clearly not liking him challenging her. So she arrogantly walks up, taking a couple steps up her stairs as he smirks down at her. But she stops well short, snapping her fingers and summoning her magical staff that you'd forced her to leave on the ship to her hands. “Ohh?”
“I'll show you just how powerful the great Goddess of Water Aqua can really be!” she declares, the flower on the end of her staff blooming as she points it at him, golden light beginning to radiate from it. “And I'll do that by breaking that curse that's latched on to you!”

“Wait, what?” you say, having had no idea that King Cold had been cursed. King Cold seems just as surprised as you are, his eyes wide at her words.
“Sacred Break Spell!!” she shouts, an explosion of golden light blasting out from her staff and enveloping King Cold's entire body. The light takes several seconds to fade away, revealing that King Cold has risen up to his feet, fixing her with an icy glare. But as he raises his hand, suddenly he looks down at it in confusion.
“I-Its....Gone?” he asks his hand, sounding far less like an invincible tyrant and more like a confused old man who just lost his cane. “It is really gone? Just like that?”
“See? I told you I'm powerful! I could see that curse hangin' around you and figured that I could easily break it” Aqua brags nonchalantly, flipping her hair back over her shoulder. “You can thank me anytime.”

Her haughty attitude disappears as he starts walking wordlessly towards her, letting out a very undignified yelp and falling backwards down the stairs. But you barely notice her, your attention on King Cold as you fell the menace radiating off of him while he looks at his hands. He then clenches his fists, you immediately bracing yourself.

“HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” King Cold roars, energy blazing up around him like a raging inferno. His body vanishes inside his swirling energy as the shock waves slam into you all, sending you, Aqua, Yunyun, Chris, and even Darkness flying back and landing in a pile at the far wall. But instead of slamming into a solid, unyielding wall you instead crash face-first into something soft. Taking a startled breath in, your lungs are filled with the smell of Yunyun. Opening your eyes, you see that your face is right between her voluptuous breasts. Your favorite place to accidentally and 'accidentally' end up. After a few seconds you look up, and see her face is bright red.

“Ah, s-sorry.” you say, pushing off of something hard as a rock behind her to get back to your feet, then offer her a hand. She takes it, still blushing furiously as you help her stand back up. Then the two of you turn back around to King Cold, Aqua complaining you didn't help her up as well. But you barely hear her, eyes focused on the menacing figure before you. King Cold has transformed, taking on the “100% Full Power” mode you remember Freeza fighting Super Saiyan Goku with. “Woah.”

“I....I'm cured.” he says, voice awed as he looks down at his hands again, slowly clenching and unclenching his fists. “After all these years, it's finally gone. I'm...Free....”

He then looks up, and seeing the shape of your party immediately powers back down. Not entirely, as he remains in his muscular form, but his aura fades away almost instantly while he walks forward. And to your, and everyone else's clear surprise walks directly over to Aqua, and kneels to her!

“Thank you. That curse has been ravaging my body for centuries, eating away at my strength and crippling me.” King Cold says, your mind going into overdrive considering the possibilities and implications as he continues. “Tens of thousands of healers, mystics, and wizards have tried to break it, but none were capable of what you've just done. Not even General Karn's daughter, with all her miraculous healing prowess could erase this curse, not completely.”
“Of course not. I'm a goddess.” she continues, beaming at the praise being heaped upon her. If he doesn't stop soon, her head will be too large to fit back through the door. “Any goddess, or even divine being could have broken such a simple curse like that one.”

As she says this his expression turns dark and downright murderous, but the oblivious Aqua keeps talking.

“I bet even my subordinate goddess Iris could have broken it, were she here.” Aqua says, and you see Chris immediately avert her eyes. Right, she's a devoted Iris Church supporter. But as Aqua finishes talking and looks to him for more praise, she freezes upon seeing the look on his face. She yelps in surprise, immediately cowering behind Darkness's sturdy frame and peeks out from behind her like a child hiding behind a parent. You aren't sure how or why her telling him that any goddess could break that curse upset him, but now you're certain he's about to kill you all.
“Thank you for that bit of pertinent information as well.” he says icily, his face one of barely-contained rage for several seconds. King Cold then closes his eyes and takes a deep breath in, then sighs out. You can see the tension leaving his body, as the man regains control of his temper. “Looks like that Pretender wasn't entirely wrong.”

“Pretender?” you ask, realizing immediately that something else is going on here. But you need more information to discover exactly what that is. But he just waves you off, his expression returning to one of mild amusement that he wore before Aqua'd cured him.
'Not an issue for any of you to bother yourselves with, I just had a rather....Unpleasant meeting with someone just before you all arrived.” he says, then with your Lip Reading skill make out him mouthing under his breath: “Next time that damned Kai visits, we're having words.” You wonder what Kai visited him, but King Cold shakes his head and continues talking aloud to you all. “As for the divine artifact, very well. I shall entrust its return to you all.”

“Thank you very much!” Chris says, bowing in a surprisingly traditional way before him. He chuckles at this, then continues.
“And now for you, Goddess Aqua. For doing for me what no one else could, you shall have a fitting reward.” he says, you seeing Aqua almost start drooling at this immediately. “Name your price, and if it is within my power it shall be yours.”
“Anything?” she asks, looking quite the opposite of the image of a goddess. But her eyes transfix themselves on the bottle resting beside his throne and her eyes light up. “You're a wine guy, right? You seem the type.” she says, buttering him up. “So I'm sure you have some really good bottles, right? I'd like a bottle of some of the really good stuff!”

“....Heh. Very well, it shall be yours.” he replies with a bemused smile. “I'll have to reach out to my nephew, Arctus, and see which bottle he would recommend you. He's more the professional drinker than I and has helped amass quite the collection here.”
“I'll gratefully accept your kind donation.” Aqua replies with a benevolent-seeming, far more goddess-like smile on her face. “And this Arctus sounds like my kinda guy. We'll have to go drinking together sometime.”
“Hahahaha. I'm sure such a thing could be arranged, once you all return victoriously from Planet Namek.” he says, clearly in high spirits. “Now, if you would all come with me. I shall lead you to my treasury, where the divine relic in question is no doubt stored.”

You all follow him from his throne room, Freeza still mysteriously absent since his meeting with his father earlier, walking behind the towering figure until he comes to a pair of titanic doors with no obvious mechanisms for entering aside from the glowing circular dip in the stone. He simply reaches forward, places his hand palm-first against the door, and then the light fades away. The doors then begin sliding silently inwards, opening to a sight that makes your jaw drop. King Cold doesn't have a bank vault, his treasure vault could fit several entire banks inside!

Hundreds upon hundreds of treasures all gleam before you, the sheer mass of treasure before you leaving you speechless. Shelves line the walls going hundreds of meters up, treasures covering them as far as you can see. Golden coins are scattered across the floor as well, perhaps more than a foot deep at their deepest. But they seem to be the lesser treasures, stacked haphazardly together in comparison to the rest of the room. Statues of different beings are placed intermittently between large, clear cases, each one holding what seems to be a different sort of weapon. Swords, axes, spears, and other weapons you can't identify are held in these sealed cases. You even see one holding what look to be a collection of different lightsabers as well! It is like the British museums, except instead of housing the treasures of one world, he has the plunder from hundreds of different planets. He seemingly has everything you could imagine, plus more.

“Now, little thief. I'm curious: how did you intend to find such a treasure among my vast collection?” King Cold asks Chris, reaching out and shattering the restraints with his telekinesis. She doesn't seem deterred, simply drawing what looks like a compass from her back pocket. However, the 'north' end isn't the usual red. Instead it is a slightly luminous gold, pointing directly at Aqua. “Ohh?”
“This is a divine magic detector.” she says, looking down to see it is still pointing directly at Aqua. “Ummm, Goddess Aqua? Would you mind stepping back a bit? Your divine aura is too much, the compass can only focus on you.”
“Of course, the great and powerful Aqua would be what it focuses on.” she replies, flicking her hair behind a shoulder as she turns and walks back away from the door.

“King Cold, I have a suggestion.” you say, speaking up. “That door seems thick enough to suppress Aqua's aura. If you lock the two of us in there, we'll be able to find it without her interference.”
“And without me watching you both line your pockets.” he says wryly, raising a brow slightly at the two of you. “But very well. Head on in, and I'll shut it behind you. Once the two of you have retrieved the artifact, Kazuma, reach out to me telepathically and I will let you both out. Understood?”
“Yes sir.” you say, bowing to him. Chris copies you, doing the same before him. You both then rise simultaneously to the amused grin of King Cold before turning back to the treasure vault. You and Chris share a glance, then both of you turn back towards the massive treasure vault before you both. “You ready Chris?”

“Let's do this.” she replies, and you both step forward into the vault proper. The door booms ominously behind you, leaving just you and Chris alone. “Now, don't go getting any funny ideas.”

“Come on, keep your fantasies to yourself.” you tease back, joking off the sudden implications of what she says. But you do feel your cheeks warm up, your mind playing out several scenarios of what the two of you could do. Shaking your head, you re-focus on the goal. “Now, where is that compass pointing?”
“Let's see.” she says, holding it up again. But the needle is still pointed directly at Aqua. “Oh.”
“We must still be too close, let's go deeper in.” you tell her, turning back to the room at large. “Let's keep moving.”

“Right.” she answers and the two of you begin methodically searching the vault. You look around, trying to identify some of the treasures here, and immediately recognize two in side by side cases. Your jaw drops, seeing the crystal and fleshy swords Soul Edge and Soul Caliber! The demonic eye fixes itself on you, and for a split-second feel compelled to open the case and take up the sword. But you know better, grabbing your own hand with the other and forcibly tearing your eyes from it. Only to see another iconic weapon, the two halves of a sword-sized pair of red scissors. Seeing the swords you look around for the suit, only to see an even greater weapon, Yoru, suspended in another case! Everywhere you look, you recognize another weapon from a show you watched or manga you'd read, looking from iconic weapon to iconic weapon. From the demon fang-made Tenseiga and Tetsusaiga sharing a case to the one holding a seemingly-unassuming wooden bokken inscribed with the words “LAKE TOYA”, you feel your inner weeb growing jealous at the sheer magnitude of King Cold's irreplaceable collection.

“Damn, I'd kill to have-” you start to mutter, then feel your blood run cold and sweat start to bead as you realize something: King Cold DID kill to have this collection. He no doubt killed the inhabitants of each of these worlds, leaving no one alive and claiming their treasures for his own. As you have this realization you drop to your knees, looking at nothing as your mind forces you to imagine how this version of King Cold probably wiped out most of the worlds of your childhood and early teenage years. They're all gone, obliterated by this space tyrant. “No way. He....He really....All of them....Gone.”
“It's terrible, isn't it?” Chris asks, kneeling beside you and placing her hand comfortingly on your far shoulder, almost hugging you. “So many lives cut short. So many dead and gone before their time. The Cold family are stained with blood, more so than anyone else in this entire universe. But we can't falter here. Let's get this divine artifact and get out of here, as soon as possible.”

But it's not so simple. You'd promised Freeza to get him his heart's desire, after all. You can't back out now, no matter how badly you want to just cut and run. He's so impossibly fast you could never out run him, he can breathe in space so you can't fly away from him. And even if you somehow COULD escape, his big Saiyan enforcer Karn can simply hunt you down with Instant Transmission no matter where you hide. You hadn't fully comprehended the evil that the Cold clan was capable of, but that's no excuse. You willingly signed up to work for them. So now you'll have to see this path through to the end.

“Thanks Chris.” you say, turning and nodding to her before rising to your feet. “Let's keep going. We need to find this thing, quick.”
“Right.” she replies, standing up and offering you her hand. “Let's do this.”

You take her hand in your own, allowing your friend to haul you upright. You've dug yourself into this mess, you're just going to have to find your way back out of it. And as you look through King Cold's treasury with renewed purpose, you seek something capable of getting you out of this situation. But after a few minutes traveling inward, you hear her suddenly gasp. Turning, you see that the compass' needle has changed direction! No longer is it pointing at the door, but further back into the treasury itself. The two of you share a look, then nod to each other and walk side-by-side deeper into the depths of his vault. Glancing back over your shoulder, you can no longer even SEE the entrance to this place. It's so large that you could easily get lost inside. But such thoughts are swept aside as the two of you come upon another glass case, the needle pointing directly at what lies within.

“N-No way, he has THAT?!” you exclaim, looking at the mythical item held suspended in the case before you. And suddenly you begin to wonder how that warrior from the future Trunks ever managed to defeat King Cold. Just how strong WAS that curse weakening him?

MOTHERFUCKERRRRRRRR

So, we are absolutely making sure that King Cold has Shin's head on a pike with no interruptions. The big boss deserves it after all the centuries of being saddled with a crippling disease while Shin knew and didn't help. I want to rip Kibito's head off while King Cold anihilates that pussy of a kai

I for one can't wait to get the absolute piss beat out of us by Cold. In a friendly way.
>>
>>5377223
Yeah. I don't think he fully grasped the implications of working with multi-milennium old space dictator with the power to make the galaxy tremble before him. There's always that disconnect of finding a villain cool and seeing them for what they are.
>>
>>5377246
That just means he can wrangle us while we come to grips with Berserker 3.
Everything's coming up Karn!
>>
>>5377221
You say that as if King Cold were not wholly capable of doing so himself now.
>>5377223
Oh yeah, he finally 'got' it.
>>5377239
That would be spoiling. I will say though, that a Japanese Neet, well versed in anime and rpgs would recognize it on sight.
>>5377246
Ha!
>>5377247
Bingo. He understood on an intellectual level, but it wasn't 'real' to him yet.
>>5377250
He's strong, but not that strong. Best contenders for that are still Beerus, Whis, and Golden Freeza. And no, before anyone asks, he's nowhere to his new form yet. He's not even mastered Golden yet.
>>
>>5377254
>That would be spoiling.
Would you be opposed to a game of 21 questions?
>>
>>5377254
>You say that as if King Cold were not wholly capable of doing so himself now.
I'm not doubting that the rightful ruler of the stars can kill the mewling kai, I just don't want some immortal timestopping asshole cucking another one of our friends and family out of a deserved divine kill. Then again, why would Kars try to stop Cold? As a matter of fact, who else besides that geriatric fart Kibito would DARE help Shin and get in King Cold's way?

Also I know the lifelink between the supreme kai and supreme destroyer is OOC knowledge for almost everyone, but how quickly would Cold put Shin on ice if he knew that killing the green oaf gets the cat out of his hair as well?
>>
>>5377254
Tell me if any of these are right. You don't have to say which one.
Muramasa? Murasame? Masamune? The Master Sword? Arondight? Ascalon? Blutgang? Caliburn? Durandal? The Grass-Cutting Sword? Tyrfing? The Vorpal Blade? The Rebellion or the Yamato, or Sparda/Force Edge? A fuckin' Zanpakuto from Bleach? The Sword of Dormin? Actually, scratch that last one, Dormin is probably just another manus fragment.
>>
>>5377282
Huh, when you put it like this, no wonder King Cold in the Cell Saga timeline thought that Trunks's sword was magic. He's probably seen countless magical swords of good or evil. Hell, some of them might have hurt him back in his heyday.
>>
>>5377261
Not opposed, but I'm not giving away many hints.
>>5377265
The reason Shin's death would kill Beerus is he's the LAST Supreme Kai. As we saw pre-Majin Buu, there are supposed to be FIVE Supreme Kais, the Cardinal Supreme Kais then the Grand Supreme Kai. As long as -A- Kai lives, the mantle shifts to them.
>>5377282
>Actually, scratch that last one, Dormin is probably just another manus fragment.

Is it a melee weapon?

No. Divine items given to mortals were individual items. Except for the rare pair, but that's a pair and not a set.

Alright. I think we're getting somewhere.
Was the object always in its current form?
Does it have a mind of its own?
Are there any rules as to who can and can't use it?
>>
>>5377288
I see, it works kind of like the Piccolo & Kami lifelink does. That means killing Shin would have no consequences. Not like Kars would learn ANYTHING from Shin, he only needs Kibito at best.
>>
>>5377301
No, it was created from materials.
Good question
King Cold could not use it
>>5377303
Bingo. As long as there is a Kai to inherit the link and mantle, the Destroyer is fine. And no, he does still need to learn absolutely everything Shin learned from the other Kais first.
>>
>>5377308
Was the object created for a specific individual?
Is it currently in a "dormant" state?
Did Cold kill its original owner or did he simply find the object?

>>5377866
I garauntee you he's gonna jump into fray and see a Frieza from another timeline who can go Black. After that it's a no-brainer.
>>
>>5377880
That sounds like it can go horribly wrong. Please understand that BBF (Big Black Frieza) oneshot Ultra Ego AND Ultra Instinct. If an enemy Towa or worse the Time Patrol had a Black Frieza, thats gg no re.
>>
>>5377898
The form itself may not be that much of a boost given how Frieza was fresh from an extra decade of training.
>>
Frieza Black is silly but it rules. It's so far beyond all the powers that be that it almost makes me excited for the next 17 forms the Saiyans will get.
>>
>>5377826
Possibly.
>>5377845
Depends. Right now, if your Freeza were to go all out in his Golden form, he’d easily beat his RoF counterpart but lose to ToP Golden Freeza. He hasn’t explored just how powerful his Golden form can be, nor has he seen how long he can sustain it at 100%.
>>5377862
Same for Goku and Vegeta in SSB for most of that form’s short-lived lifetime. Divine influence does tend to turn beings overconfident. Hell, even the Potara fusions are generally more arrogant than their Fusion Dance counterparts.
>>5377866
If he learned of it today, it would still be a loooing ways off. He took ten consecutive years off with no ruling the universe or other worries other than getting stronger.
>>5377880
Eventually.
>>5377898
SKoT wouldn’t have one. And being allied with Mechikabura, you’re not likely to fight against one. Unless the Meta Cooler you btfo’d shows back up with it, you’re not likely to fight it within the next decade at least.
>>5377963
I don’t think they will get all that many. I think Goku’s going to fully achieve ‘His’ Instinct and Vegeta will master his Ultra Ego by unironically and wholly letting go of the past.
Either that or Goku’ll just IT to Shin, grab the Potara and IT back so Vegito Blue can beat his ass.

However, I think(having not read the chapter or translations of the spoilers) he specifically trained for taking down Gogeta Blue. Freeza was front and center to watch an EVEN STRONGER Broly than the one he got his ass handed to by never even so much as TOUCH Gogeta. That level of power no doubt scared him.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn and Broly paid a visit to Chilli's world just as the village he lives in was attacked by several dragons. Karn gave him the ancient weapon he'd found, but surprisingly he was hesitant to use it. Instead Chilli decided to show off the fruits of his labor, unleashing his magical powers. After the battle, Karn and Broly joined Chilli in processing the dragons and bringing it all to the shop he works with Megumin's father. After leaving his world behind, we rejoin Karn just as Towa reaches out to him telepathically.

Good, you all are mostly together.” Towa suddenly thinks to you. “Are you all ready to come back?”
“Absolutely.” you reply, but then have a thought. “What about the twins, and Chilli?”
“Don't worry, Churai has acquired the Multiform technique from Cell.” she answers you. “All of you will be brought here together, simultaneously.”
“Perfect.” you say to her, then aloud, “Hey, everyone. Head over here for a second.”
“Where are we goin'?” Maz asks you.
“Yeah? Where. where?” Kayle follows up. You just smile and repeat yourself, everyone rushing over after no doubt a quick telepathic message from Towa. “Are we goin' to Auntie's?”

“Hold on.” you say, reaching out towards everyone with your arms. Your kids all rush over, Meloka bringing up the rear holding onto both Okira and Karn Jr. Then you reach out to Towa again through the link. “We're ready.”

The instant you think this to her, the world around you changes. No longer do you find yourself in your ship, but instead you're standing back in the familiar laboratory of the Demon Realm's Princess and time traveler, Towa.

“Welcome back, Karn.” Towa says, you seeing her and your three half-demon kids all waiting for you. As well as your other timeline daughter Future Chaya and the former Time Patroller Ace. Maza's greeting you all in his more Primal form, Milha smiling with her long white hair now parted down the middle, while Koruza's Dark Rider stands ominously behind him. You spend the next few minutes greeting your other kids, each one having something different to tell you before finding yourself standing beside Towa as the kids all talk to each other. “It is good to see them all like this, getting along.”
“I agree.” you reply, but no sooner than you do she turns, wrapping her own arms around your neck and giving you a passionate kiss full of hunger. You reciprocate for a few moments, before her stubborn embarrassment kicks in and she pulls back, face blushed. “How's everything been on your end?”

“Oh, you know. Busy as always.” she replies, and from the kids overhear Milha commenting on Chaya's new, nearly identical matching eye scars.
“I should make a spell that cuts people to ribbons.” you hear her say, shuddering a bit at the thought of her torturing some poor bastard like that. But as you then picture it being that absolute bastard Trunks on the receiving end, suddenly it is more than fine.
“But our Chaya's been rather annoyed lately.” she says, it taking you a moment to realize that Towa's speaking telepathically. “She's disappointed in this version of herself's power, or rather lack thereof. She wants to show her the difference between them at that age, and how far behind her own progress she's fallen because of that playtime arena she's been fighting in.”

Well? How do you take this news?
>You think that's a good idea, It will help show her just how far behind her potential she's fallen.
>You agree, but warn her that your timeline's Chaya could take it the wrong way and sour the relationship between them

“I don't think that's a bad idea, but she should be careful.” you reply to Towa, also telepathically. “Chaya, the younger one could take it the wrong way. And I'd hate to see something like that sour the relationship between them. Its not often you get to look up to yourself.”
“Yes, that is a possibility.” she replies, hand going to her chin as she ponders. “And she does tend to take after her father, regardless of the timeline. A gentle approach will be needed.”

You keep watching as Milha fawns over Karn Jr, Okira, her Stand Imagine Dragon, and Caulifla all conversing with Koruza and his Dark Rider while the older children talk with Future Chaya and Maza. Ace, however, meets your gaze and starts walking over. Immediately you feel your instincts awaken, recognizing the threat the former Time Patroller presents. But he stops a few steps from you, a hard look in his eye as he squares up silently. Seemingly waiting on your move. But you don't say anything either, simply returning the stare. Silence hangs ominously between you, the tension so thick you could cut it with an Energy Blade. But then he holds out his hand, and mumbles something.

“What was that?” you ask him, not breaking the stare. “I couldn't hear you.”
“I need to ask you something.” he says, voice barely above a whisper. Then his eyes dart over to the Chayas talking together, you suddenly realizing what he's thinking.
“Sure.” you reply, tapping the side of your head and thinking to the former Patroller. “What's on your mind?”
“It's about Chaya.” he thinks back, you sensing a mess of emotions from the youth. “She...Means a lot to me, you know? She's the first person I can really...Talk to and be myself.”

You can feel his emotions through the telepathic link, sensing his worry in approaching you and his love for your daughter. You then suddenly understand what he's wanting to ask. He wants to marry Future Chaya.

“Around the Time Patrol, I wasn't allowed to be myself. Hell, my MIND wasn't even my own.” he continues. “Dammit, I'm making a mess of this.”
“You're wanting to marry Chaya, aren't you?” you ask, still telepathically. His eyes shoot wide, and from his non-immediate denial you know you've hit the nail on the head.

But how do you take this news?
>Tell him he's got your support, as long as he makes her happy
>Warn him that, despite being from a different timeline, she's your daughter and you won't hesitate to erase him if he hurts her

Hmm. Raditz had to go through US to earn our approval to date our timeline's Chaya, but Future Chaya is pretty much a grown adult herself. She can make her own decisions and kick Ace's ass regardless of our feelings about the matter. We just haven't been around the new Ace yet to really gauge his mindset.

“As long as you make her happy, you have my support.” you tell him telepathically, the younger man sighing out in relief. “I don’t know if she’s told you about her past, but my daughter’s had enough hardship. Treat her right and make her happy, understand?”
“Yes sir.” he says aloud, bowing at the waist before you and Towa. “I will do my best.”
“Hey, Daddy.” Milha says, walking up to you with a wide, almost unsettling grin. “Are you ready? I’ve been working hard and have a bunch of new spells I wanted to try out. But nobody else wants to let me try them.”

“I can see why.” you say with a laugh, reaching out and ruffling your half-demon daughter’s pure white hair as she crosses her arms, pouting adorably. “It’s not fun to be on the receiving end of those spells. You’ve got some real dangerous magic at your disposal. Hell, if you tried I’m sure you’d take even me out with some of them.”
“I’d like to come along as well, to observe.” Chilli says, you seeing that he’s brought his wife Megumin along again. “Curse magic isn’t really something either of us have had much exposure to.”

“GREAT!” Milha says, her eyes lighting up with joy. “C’mon, let’s go, let’s go!”
“Alright kiddo, let’s do this.” you say, taking a deep breath to prepare yourself mentally. “Lead the way.”
“Follow me!” she says, grabbing you by the arm as she turns towards the door. “This is going to be fun!”
“For you, maybe.” you think to yourself, but don’t say it aloud as you allow her to lead you down the hallway. You notice it looks a bit nicer than you remember, a long, blood red carpet on the ground now and not just bare metal floors.

“You all have certainly livened up the place, since last time we were here.” Megumin says, looking around. “But it’s a little too metallic for my tastes.”
“Ugh, you and me both.” Milha replies, turning her head to talk while still navigating the twists and turns of the halls without looking. “I miss the open air, the freedom to just move around in the big city. That was the best part of being kidnapped in Conton City. Sure we were prisoners there, but this place feels much more like a prison sometimes.”
“I bet.” Chilli says, looking around. “Hallways and rooms just as wide as they are tall always feels more claustrophobic. Took me a couple tries to make a good ceiling.”
“Oh, that’s right! I forgot you made your house!” Milha says excitedly, reaching out and throwing the door open. “I wish my magic could do cool stuff like that.”

“Most of my magic is more straightforward, unlike yours.” Chilli says as you follow Milha into the familiar, blood-stained room you'd 'trained' with her in before. Your own blood, mostly, from withstanding her devastating curses and attack spells. But there is more blood staining the walls especially than you remember, and suddenly you're curious. Who else has she been practicing her power on? “Except for that Chaos magic, but those techniques are rather....Different than anything else I do.”
“I saw, with the tournament and how you undid time on the stage!” she exclaims excitedly. “You not only fixed the ring, but also brought back to life that sore loser you scared off the stage! But I was wondering something, thanks for reminding me. Why did you go and kill him afterwards?”

“What?” you ask, Chilli not looking at you despite your exclamation. You don't remember him killing anyone from the tournament, especially the one he'd actually brought back to life with his power. Why would he do such a thing?

Well? What now?
>Press him on it, try and get an honest answer out of him about this

“Chilli. I need answers.” you say to him. “I'm not opposed to you killing your enemies, but for someone of our own race I'm going to need answers.”
“That bastard was supposed to die, consumed by the fires of Broly's double Event Horizon blast.” Chilli says after a moment of silence. “His death was ordained to be there and then. Jergal told me that reviving him broke his destiny and made him a Fateless, just like you Dad. But, having him and you both splintering our timeline constantly would have been an absolute disaster. The Supreme Kai of Time would have had even more reason to erase us, creating so many new timelines off of both of your choices. So I did what I had to do, and fixed my mistake.”

“I wouldn't have called it a mistake.” you reply to him gently. “Hell, I never even thought to check and see if he survived that attack. Plus, it's not like we could have just moved his body out of the way before you rebuilt the stage. If he was caught by that blast, there's no way there was anything of him left.”
“But if I'd have thought ahead more, I could have done something else.” he says, you walking over and placing your hand on his head. “If I hadn't revived that moron, I wouldn't have had to kill him.”
“Fixing your mistakes is fine, doubly so if it keeps that damned Kai off of our back.” you tell him. “For a moment I thought you were just going around killing your fellow Saiyan over the bullshit he pulled against you. There aren't enough of us to go to war with each other, we have enough enemies.”
“I won't.” he says, then with an almost sad look adds. “That's another reason for me to say with Megumin on her world for awhile, instead of coming home. “Let his friends forget I exist, so I won't have to fight them to the death as well.”

“I got it!” Milha suddenly exclaims, holding her tome in her hands with her eyes gleaming. “I figured it out! Daddy, you ready?”
“Just a moment. Got to get dressed for it.” you reply, taking a couple steps back from Chilli and Megumin and turning to the cabinet. You undress, taking off the uniform you'd brought from your own timeline off, donning one made here in this time. Then once you're suited you turn back towards her, then walk into the center of the room, bracing yourself. Whatever she's 'figured out', no doubt it will be unpleasant to be on the receiving end of. But you can take it. Right?
“Curse Magic: Secarutempas!” she shouts, thrusting her right hand at you. And everything becomes pain. Blood explodes out from you, filling your vision as the sheer pain drops you to a knee. But you refuse to fall.

Dropping to the ground, as your right knee crashes to the ground you throw your left down, catching yourself. Despite the blood coating your hand and the sudden stinging pain from the contact as well, you manage to remain upright and take stock of what actually happened. Your entire body feels as if it were cut, hundreds upon hundreds of times over. Which makes the blood spraying out from you make sense, however, you can't help but feel shocked at this. Milha FIGURED OUT the spell she'd been talking about just a few minutes ago already? She might be just as clever as Chilli, or maybe even moreso with her magic. So despite the pain and gritting of teeth you can't help but smirk, forcing yourself back up to your feet.

“Tch. That. That one hurt.” you tell her, then suddenly Chilli raises his staff at you. For a split-second you feel your instincts shout at you in fear, but then almost as quickly the feeling vanishes. “What are you doing?”
“Let me try this one out Dad.” Chilli says, then for a single second you consider evading. But he doesn't look like he's readying an attack, concern for you showing in his eyes. So you remain in place, giving him a small nod. He gives a small smile back, then unleashes new magic of his own. “Light Magic: Healing Rays.”

A beam of gentle golden light drops down from the sky, enveloping you in the warm glow. Then to your surprise, the pain in your body begins fading. Looking down at your bloody arms, you watch the wounds across your body quickly sealing themselves. Your jaw drops, you looking up to your son in shock. Milha seems just as surprised, then giving him a wildly excited grin.

“No way, you figured out healing magics too?!” she exclaims, looking at the magic radiating from him as if somehow reading it. “You're using the light to accelerate the natural healing of the body, aren't you?”
“Bingo.” he replies, then the light fades as he ends the spell. “It won't save someone from any devastating injuries, like losing a limb or something. But it does help with lesser injuries.”
“So cool!” Milha says, eyes sparkling as she looks at him. Megumin's eyes narrow a moment, but then she relaxes as Milha turns back to her book.
“Hey, Milha. Let's try it again.” you say, clenching your fists and flaring your aura up. But then you cross your arms before you, condensing that ki down into your familiar Energy Body technique. “Let's see how powerful this spell of yours really is.”

“Oh, the Energy Body! Condensing your ki into a suit of armor around you to absorb attacks before they can hit your body.” she says, taking a couple steps closer to you. “I don't know what will happen, will your armor hold? Or will I cut you through it? I can't wait to see! Curse Magic: Secarutempas!”

Again she unleashes her spell, but this time you don't feel the same agonizing pain. You can feel several thousand cuts suddenly appear in your Energy Body, but not one of the slashes cut deep enough to actually wound you.

“No way, your armor can withstand that? Looks like I'll have to increase the power of the spell to deal with more heavily-armored enemies.” she replies as you repair your Energy Body, pouring more of your ki into it to fill the sudden gaps everywhere. “Let's try a double cast!”
“Wait, what?” Chilli asks, his words mirroring your thoughts. But while you just seem confused, Chilli looks immediately worried as she thrusts both hands towards you. “Curse Magic: Secarutempas Duet!”

You take the doubled up attack, wincing in pain as you feel dozens of slashes across your forearms, chest, legs, and back. Her attack actually brute forced its way through your armor, cutting it so swiftly and relentlessly that it managed to cut your energy down enough to begin hitting you through it. Which is quite impressive, considering the power difference between you and her. Just goes to show how much of a game changer magic can be.

“Here, try it again.” you say, clenching your fists and pouring everything you've got into your Energy Body. Hardening it several times over and turning it into your Immovable Energy Body. So hard in fact that you're no longer able to even open your mouth, and are forced to think to communicate. “See if you can get through this.”
“With pleasure!” she exclaims, raising both hands towards you again. “Curse Magic: Secarutempas Duet!”

You practice with your daughter as a living target for over an hour, testing her various spells she's developed and forcing yourself to fight through them. With Chilli's new healing magic you don't sustain any serious damage, but by the time it is done you feel unusually hungry for this time of day. Your hunger, however, can wait. You have family you haven't been with for over a month all here.

“I'm going to check up on that seal I put over the Abyss, and make sure it's still intact.” Chilli says as you wipe the last of the blood off of you before dressing. “Mind showing me the way?”
“Of course.” Milha replies, almost glowing with happiness at getting to use her magic.

"You all have fun; I'm going to see what Maza's up to." you say to them, raising your right hand up to your forehead. Focusing on your oldest half-demon son's tremendous ki to the exclusion of all others, you teleport directly to his side with your Instant Transmission. One moment you're in the blood-stained room, walls and floors stained red, the next you find yourself in an even more red room. Crushing gravity slams down onto your shoulders and for a moment almost fall. But bracing yourself withstand the gravity, slowly rising up to your full height to meet your son's gaze. “Hey kiddo. In the middle of training?”

“Yeah, but we can talk.” he says, hands on his head as he drops down into a low squat. But then he rises back up, you seeing he's using the increased gravity as resistance to turn the simple exercise into a workout. So you decide to join him, mirroring him and matching his pace. Despite being in your Ascended Berserker form, the gravity Maza's training under is quite intense. “So, you volunteered to be Milha's target dummy again? Why?”
“Being big and strong is all well and good, but that doesn't ensure you can win a fight.” you tell him through clenched teeth. “You have to be able to take whatever the enemy throws at you as well. No matter how much pain you're in, or how delirious you are from the damage you've taken, you can't ever give in.”
“You mean you aren't just humoring her?” he asks, looking surprised. “But you're actually TRAINING, using her agonizing magic to better your pain resistance?”

“That's it.” you answer, feeling the burn in your legs as you match his almost mechanical pace. He's clearly more adapted to this gravity than you are, but you're not just going to back down. You have to show him that you can fight through the pain and not just talk all big. You have to walk the walk, after talking yourself up like that. “What gravity is this, anyways?”
“Only a few thousand times.” he says, you immediately realizing he's not measuring off of New Salda's gravity. Or is he? You've never tested the limits of your Ascended Berserker form in any sort of gravity chamber. But he doesn't notice your confusion, instead continuing to focus on his workout. You match his pace, feeling the burning in your legs increasing by the second. “Maybe I shouldn't just brush her off next time she asks.”

You and Maza continue through the workout, you match his Primal form's pace with your much larger transformation. But as you both keep going for over an hour, constantly exerting yourselves physically, you feel your building ki reaching closer and closer to the boiling point. If you don't release your ki, and soon, it could have explosive consequences.

“Father, are you okay?” Maza asks, looking at you with concern. “Your energy keeps rising.”
“I never noticed before, because I've not really used this form for such a sustained effort outside of battle.” you say, stopping and clenching your trembling hand into a fist. “But the harder I push myself, the more my ki builds up. If I go for much more, it's going to explode.”
“So, you just need to let it out, right?” he asks, to which you nod, uncertain exactly what he's thinking. But then he braces himself, readying himself for a tremendous impact. “So, let's go. Unleash some of that overwhelming power at me, father. I can take it!”

Well?
>Have him brace himself and go for a Final Flash. See just how strong his Primal Demon form really is
>Direct Maza to shield the controls, then unleash a Super Explosive Wave out from you in all directions for the fastest energy burn
>Instead of a single blast to lower your energy, start slowly burning it off by throwing Scattershot after Scattershot. With these lesser energy blasts, you hopefully won't destroy anything important or break the training room
>Push most of your energy out into an Unmovable Energy Body and have him attack you instead. Let him burn off some of your overflowing energy by attacking that ki directly

"Well, if you're really sure." you say, then throw your arms wide and release the tight grip over your power. Allowing it to blaze up around you wildly, like an emerald inferno. “Then let's see how well you can handle THIS!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s9xI_D7qhU

“HAAAAAA!” you shout, throwing your arms wide and drawing your ki into your hands. For a moment Maza seems worried, but then he grins confidently and lets his white aura blaze up as well.
“That's it! Show me what you can really do!” he shouts, powering up and letting his energy surge past your own. He shows the difference between your strengths, his power eclipsing and surpassing your own as he stops holding back. “Hit me with your full power!
“HRRRRRAAAAAA!” you roar, throwing your arms forward and letting your ki in both hands begin mixing and merging together. The separate energies swirl together, mixing and magnifying their combined power to several times your own strength. But as you do, you keep your senses sharp on Maza's power as well. You're not trying to obliterate him or anything, just burning off some of the built up excess ki. Then you see his aura blazing even higher, shouting “DO IT!” to you. So you do. “FINAL FLAAAAAASH!!”

“Super Guard!” he shouts, crossing his arms and raising up one leg so his knee is almost touching his crossed arms. And as he does, a dome of azure energy forms between him and your attack. Your golden beam of nearly unstoppable energy crashes directly into that disc of hardened ki, you expect it to deflect or even absorb your attack. But that's not what happens. Your beam crashes against that quarter-dome of ki, and simply stops.
“Wh-What?!” you shout in surprise, watching and sensing as your energy seemingly dissipates against your oldest half-demon son's shield. You keep pouring out your energy, but his technique doesn't falter and keeps stopping your beam for over a dozen seconds. But then the shield around him begins fading, you sensing it and ending the beam as well. Your blast and his shield dissipate at the same time, leaving you both staring at each other, chests slightly heaving. “That was a unique defense. I don't think I've seen that before.”

“I picked that one up back in Conton City.” he says with a smirk, recovering from the exertion far quicker than you. After all, he barely used any ki to make that attack compared to you. “They called it the 'Super Guard'. It seemingly works just like your Barrier, but even stronger. Instead of forming a shield all the way around you, it condenses that energy into the slight dome, allowing it to block all physical and energy attacks directed at it. Magic's still an issue though, as a lot of those energies can still pass right through it.”
“I see. That's a rather good technique.” you reply, finally catching your breath. “Alright, my energy's back under control now. You'll have to show me what else you picked up from them sometime.”

“Will do.” he replies, cutting off the gravity chamber. The two of you exit the chamber and head directly to the connected showers, washing yourselves off and leaving your clothes there, putting on a new set of training uniforms. Except instead of the usual blue you're used to, these are in the red and black colors of Towa's suit. Which suits your son's pale fur and light blue skin better than your own. “So, what're you gonna do now?”

She's just kinda goofy and doesn't put -enough- thought into it to realize coomers exist and they are always watching. "Your mother's got Karn Jr, and Meloka left him with her. So, I'm going to see what's going on." you tell him after a moment's consideration with your ki sense. "What about yoyurself?"
"I'm going to see if Ace is busy and try to nab one of his techniques." Maza replies, turning towards the door to walk out. But then he turns back, a curious look on his face. "Need me to show you the way, or....?"
"Don't worry, I've got it." you say, bringing your right hand to your forehead for your Instant Transmission technique.
“Oh, right. I forgot you could do that.” he replies, you hearing him mutter as he goes out the door. “Wish Cell would teach me that already.”

You put thoughts of Maza from your mind, narrowing your ki sense down to only Karn Jr's extraordinary power. And with the link established you focus, teleporting directly to him with your Instant Transmission. Leaving the shower room behind, you appear beside both Karn Jr and Towa. Only to see her sitting in her usual laboratory chair, holding your sleeping son to her.

“Shhh, he just went to sleep.” she whispers, then reaches out telepathically. “Been enjoying your stay so far?”
“Always.” you think back with a smile, walking around behind her and putting your hands on her shoulders. “They're growing so fast.”
“They are.” she replies, looking down at Karn Jr. “And I've been thinking, I wouldn't dislike having another little one here.”
“Oh, I see.” you reply with a grin. She looks up to you, cheeks flushed as she meets your gaze. So you just reach up from her shoulder, cupping her jaw as you lean down and bring your lips down to hers. She kisses you deep and passionately, you feeling her hunger through the kiss. It lasts for quite a while, Towa pulling back with her ample chest heaving and face flushed even brighter crimson. You can see her visibly growing more aroused, but then she reaches up with her hand and puts her finger to your mouth.

“H-Hold on. Not yet.” she says, voice unsteady. She then rises up out of her chair, carrying Karn Jr over and setting your son down in what seems to be a specially-made bed for him. She then turns around towards you, and running her hand down the front of her suit seemingly cuts it, her skintight clothes dropping to the floor. “I need you. Right now. Take me.”

And so you do, walking up and meeting her, the demon woman's arms going around your neck as she resumes the deeply passionate kiss, pressing her body to you. As she clings to you, you can feel her hunger, her desire for you in the way she presses herself to you. Her hands go from your neck down your front, grabbing onto you as you get harder. She then goes down onto her knees and right as she opens her mouth, taking you in, Meloka suddenly appears directly behind her. She lowers her right hand from her forehead, raising an eyebrow at you both. Towa freezes, no doubt sensing your wife appearing behind her. You can see the worry in her expression and the scowl on your wife's as she reaches down with both hands and grabs her by her head. Well, this is probably about to go sideways.

Oh fuck, how is Karn going to CHAD his way out of this one?

I got a few questions, GD. I know that Pinrut and his friends were little bitches, but do we have to worry about them causing trouble in the forseeable future? It's unlikely, but we could have a big problem if that one guy sent flying through space is going on a training arc on his own to overthrow the king and exact vengeance for their family.

Also, how does divine ki work specifically in this quest, because I know OG Timeline vegeta pulled blue out of his ass simply by being exposed to it. When we or Meloka unlock the divine path, would one of our children (Read: Chilli) get a feel for that divine power as well? It's a longshot, but just maybe...
>>
>>5379098
You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
Pinrut's 'friends' aren't the confrontational type. Unless they outnumber someone several to one, and even then, that's only a maybe.
Divine ki is simple, but complicated. It works on belief. Which is why Tanya's now several times more powerful than she was in the fight against Chaya. Tens of millions of Chaya's fans now believe that she's strong enough to fight Chaya's Ascended form evenly, so she is.

"What did I tell you?" Meloka says, sounding more annoyed than angry. Then before Towa can pull herself back, she shoves Towa's face directly into your pubic bone. The warmth of her mouth and throat envelops you for a moment before Towa jerks her head back, gagging and coughing violently.
“Wh-What the hell?” Towa gets out between coughs. “What was that, were you trying to kill me?”
“You know the rules. That's what you get.” Meloka says, you then hearing Karn Jr waking up. She walks away from you both, picking up your son as he starts crying his hungry cry. “There there, here.”

She then starts feeding your son from herself, while almost looking eye level with Towa due to the difference in their heights. Despite the power gap, your wife seems fully in control over the stronger woman, having Towa completely at her mercy.

“Can't you contain yourself until my youngest son isn't in the room, at least?” your wife asks her with an accusatory tone, Towa looking down in embarrassment. You then hear the door start sliding open, Towa's head whirling around as Future Chaya is revealed standing outside.
“Hey Momma, why'd you take off like....Oh.” she says, seeing Towa on her knees naked before you and Meloka standing a bit away. “Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt...This. I'll leave you guys to it.”

She then backs up, and the door slides back shut with a pneumatic hiss, you sense your daughter's ki rapidly fleeing from you four. Towa's blushed face brightens even more, her cheeks and ears glowing crimson as her hands go to her face. You hear her muttering to herself but can't quite make out what she's saying. You consider comforting her, but Meloka beats you to it. She walks over, leaning in and whispering something in the demon woman's ear. After a few moments Towa rises back up to her feet, and with a snap her red and black skintight suit leaps up off the ground, wrapping itself back around her. She then walks over to you and floats up a foot or two off the ground to whisper in your ear.

“We'll continue this tonight.” she says, giving your lips a quick peck before pulling back. She then returns to her chair, it spinning as she returns to the terminal she'd been working on as if nothing happened.

You expand your ki sense once more, checking to see where everyone is. Broly and Ace are still together, as are Okira and Koruza. Caulifla, Chilli, and Cell are all in the same room, along with Milha and Megumin a little further from the trio. But all by herself is Chaya, your daughter's energy not moving while alone. You decide to check in with her, Future Chaya no doubt having had her talk. So you raise your right hand back to your forehead, focusing on your eldest daughter's stationary ki, and use your Instant Transmission to teleport directly to her side. One moment you're in the lab, the next find yourself in another training room. Chaya's sitting there on her knees, head slumped in the maybe twenty times New Salda's gravity.

“Hey kiddo.” you say but Chaya doesn't move, she doesn't so much as react as you appear. “Chaya? You okay?”

But still she remains silent. You feel yourself growing worried, reaching out and placing a hand on her shoulder. She jumps a bit as you do, head whirling to see you. But when she does she just sighs out, returning to looking down at nothing.

“You coming to criticize me again too?” she asks, her usual life and energy gone from her voice. Which is quite worrying, unease creeping into your guts at your daughter's seemingly-defeated form.
“Criticize you?” you ask, wanting her to give you something to work with. But she explodes up to her feet and starts shouting.
“Why does everyone hate me?!” she shouts, throwing her arms out angrily. Which catches you by surprise, you taking an uncertain step back. “Nobody wants to let me to live how I want to!”
“Nobody hates you, Cha-” you try and say, but Chaya's having none of it as she keeps shouting.
“Yes you do!!” she shouts back furiously, stamping a foot in directionless anger. “You and everyone else! You all hate me and don't want me to have any fun! I can't just live my life how I want, everybody just wants to hate on my fun!”

She's staring you down, chest heaving as she trembles with barely-restrained fury as her eyes begin turning green. Wisps of golden aura rise up around her, her hair standing up but not yet turning golden. Her rage is almost transforming her unconsciously.

“Fuck you Dad! I don't need your approval how I choose live! You or anyone else!” she shouts, aura blazing up fully golden as she unconsciously transforms into a Super Saiyan with angry tears streaking down her face. “I can live my life however I want!”

You don't say anything, deciding to let her rage herself out first and then try talking with her, once she's calmed down. But that doesn't look like it'll be anytime soon.

"First Raditz, then you, Broly an' Momma, and even another me! Everybody hates me having fun!" she fumes, lightning crackling in her aura. “Who cares? As long as I keep up with my training and don't slack off, why should it matter what I do? Nobody's making fun of Chilli just fucking leaving, giving up a whole buncha his training. Nobody said shit about what everybody else does with their free time, so why does everyone hate what I'm doing? I just don't understand!”

And with her final syllable her power jumps, Chaya slamming her Ascended fist down on the chamber floor. Then another, and another, over and over she slams her hands down. The floor begins bending under her wild swings, golden aura blazing wilder by the second. She then whips her head around towards you, not actually seeing you in her rage completely consumes her reason.

“GRRRR! GRRAAAAAA!!” she snarls, charging directly at you while swinging her right directly at your chest. You take the hit without budging, but she no longer sees you. Drawing her arm back she roars again, bulking up as her power explodes. “RRRAAAAAA!!!”

You brace yourself as Chaya roars, firmly planting your feet and lowering your center as her irises vanish, leaving her eyes all white just like your Berserker forms as her body continues bulking up. She staggers back, clutching at her head as she roars again, this time the sound a mix of rage and pain. Azure energy begins radiating out from her body, her aura becoming two-toned as her body returns to its more natural size. Thick bolts of brilliant blue lightning dance around her body. You feel her powerlevel surging, higher and higher as she lowers her arms, glaring at you with her all white gaze.

“GRRRR! HRRRR!” she snarls, her entire body trembling with barely restrained power. “HRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!”

She starts stomping towards you, each step bending the metal ground beneath her feet as she walks directly towards you.

“Kill. You.” she snarls through clenched teeth, then lunges. She surges forward and swings, far faster than you'd expected and weren't ready to react to. Her fist crashes into your jaw with enough force to snap your head to the side, staggering back a couple steps to regain your balance. But she's not done, kicking off the ground and rushing you. With almost no time to react you bring your arms up, blocking the sudden assault as best you can. But with each swing she seemingly grows stronger, then with a final roar kicks you back away from her. “HAAAAAA!!”

“Tch!” you exhale through clenched teeth, sliding back until your heel hits the wall behind you, stopping your momentum. Looks like this overwhelming anger of hers has brought a new level of power forth. But she clearly can't control it.

Well, atleast we succeeded this time. We're doing pretty well for a (SAIYAN!) father trying to parent their teenage (SAIYAN!) daughter. It'd help having a frame of reference for this stuff, I didn't expect a pureblood to get the rage transformation.

She's struggling with a lot more complex emotions than most Saiyans ever have before.
That emotional turmoil is bound to manifest itself in previously unheard of ways.

“Alright kiddo, that's enough of that.” you say, more to yourself than her as you power up to full and activate your Energy Body. Raising your might back to its fullest extent, you take a step away from the wall back towards her. “You need to calm down.”
“GRRAAAAA!!” she snarls, again kicking off the ground and driving a heavy right towards your jaw. You draw your left arm back up, deflecting the strike past you while driving your forehead into her nose. “GAAAAH!”

You feel her nose crunch from the impact, sending her flying back. Disoriented and blinded by her rage, Chaya's unable to catch herself and crashes back first to the ground. But she doesn't stay there, flipping back up to her feet immediately.

“GRRR! RAAAA!!” she snarls, but then her eyes widen as she sees you rushing forward. Before she can react you throw your arms wide, scooping her up and pressing her to you.
“That's enough.” you say, focusing your energy and pouring more and more ki into your Energy Body. Your glowing armor brightens as it becomes more energy-dense, hardening to the point even you can't move from within it. Trapping Chaya to you, holding her immobile to you.

“GRRAAA! HRRAAAA! RAAAAAAA!!” she snarls and roars, thrashing wildly in your grip as she tries to escape. But she's trapped, your grip holding her to you. She cannot force herself free or slip out of your grip, you almost able to feel her mounting frustration. She lunges her face towards yours, actually biting at your nose and trying to tear it off! But your armor holds firm, your daughter chomping down on your ki instead. Despite how strong her jaw is, your daughter can't pierce through your Unmovable Energy Body. Which only frustrates her more, Chaya starting to throw short knees into your guts. But again your Energy Body absorbs the hits, her attacks completely negated. “GRRAAAAA!!”

She keeps raging for several minutes, growing more and more frustrated, but then you feel it. Suddenly her energy begins decreasing, the sudden swell of furious power fading away. But you don't let go yet, keeping a firm grip in case the mindless rage takes her over again. Her power continues decreasing, plummeting back down to her normal levels as her blonde hair returns to its natural black. You let your Unmovable Energy Body fade away, Chaya's unconscious frame slumping against you. Looking down at her, you can't help but feel conflicted. On the one hand, you want her to grow up and be the strongest she can be. But on the other, you also want her to be happy and enjoy the life you've worked so hard to ensure she can live. As you walk over and deactivate the gravity chamber, one thought keeps echoing through your head: what would your old man do?

Remember, Saiyans as a people generally didn't have a reason to have emotional struggles like this or the time to really process them until very recently.
They have plenty of emotional capacity, the circumstances just didn't allow for it to be expressed until now.

I mean, she has millions of simps on the internet and Raditz still likes her iirc

She does. Her popularity took a hit with her loss, but she still has tens of millions of fans. And of course there's Raditz as well.

Sorry, ritual was a misnomer. I meant the science behind transforming into a super, how it responds to a need, not a want, and how this ancient power of rage is awakened. We get that and by the next 3-4 generations half the populace become Aryans

She's also like 17 or something and this may have the opposite effect

Yes, several times. Mostly in saying she wasn’t ready for something, or couldn’t accompany you.
>>5380086
Nope, she’s 16. Close to 17, but not for a few months.
>>5380087
Usually not if she wanted to do something, unless Karn thought it too dangerous/risky.
>>
So, we already know that Future Chaya probably gave Chaya a harsh assessment, but did they also spar?
It would make sense to me given that the gravity chamber was active when we came in. I don't think Chaya would just leave it on just to sulk after all.
>>
I also had another thought.
Chaya's transformation here kinda reminds me of Future Trunks' rage transformation back during the Goku Black Saga. Are they the same thing?
If so, that would imply that Chaya got exposed to Divine Ki at some point. Off the top of my head, I can think of two likely sources;
>Ace has been using his Divine transformations often enough to leave trace amounts of Divine Ki in the immediate area
Or
>Chaya inadvertently gained some amount of Divine Ki through the devotion displayed by her fans over the years
>>
>>5380532
Possibly. May be a revisited point later on, next time we Chaya pov.
I’ll just say that it’s been on for awhile.
>>5380552
They’re the same form, yes. Which is why I used the images for it I did.
>that would imply that Chaya got exposed to Divine Ki
>imply
>not expressly told
Did you forget what Aku told you? And what Karn sensed himself during her fight with Tanya? Chaya was fighting a god. A fledgling god, but still a deity nonetheless.
>>
>>5380560
I didn't realize she could use the Divine Ki that fucked her up and healed her to fuel the transformation.
When it eventually dissipates, will she still be able to take on the Rage transformation?
>>
>>5380579
>>5380560
Wait...how much Divine Ki has Chilli been exposed to? And Cauli?
>>
>>5380579
A good question, we’ll have to wait and see. Towa will know and reveal more about what happened next time.
>>5380599
Not as much with Chilli, as Jergal never exerted himself physically and that other goddess didn’t have any physical abilities.
Cauli’s a different case. Who knows what all she’s seen
>>
>>5380875
>Who knows what all she’s seen
You.
>>
>>5380875
Alright here's the real question.
Which one of our kids is closest to attaining Super Saiyan God without the ritual?
I'd laugh my ass off if one of our kids became a Kai in training under Kars after Shin gets fired.
>>
>>5380895
Well yes but I don’t count, since I see everything.
>>5380925
None. To eventually get that power you have to at least participate in the ritual. Even if you’re not the one directly attaining it.
>spoiler
No. Only a Kai can become a Supreme Kai. Kars is also technically a Kai, due to truly being a perfect life form
>>
>>5380925
>spoiler
Now why would you condemn our children to such a fate? They're destined for greatness, not being pathetic jobbers that don't know how to function, much less do their jobs.
>>
>>5380930
Got it, were gonna go fuck Shin's mom.
Also, another big question.
How genetically similar are Demons like Mechikabura, Dabura, and Towa to Kais/Core People?
Iirc they're implied to be Demon Realm equivalents to them or have a common ancestor.
>>
>>5380937
>Got it, were gonna go fuck Shin's mom.
Uhh, how about "FUCK NO"? Lets not spread the Kai genepool anywhere, especially if it shares the same kind of genes with Shin. Also, do you REALLY think SHE would allow it?
>>
>>5380959
>Lets not spread the Kai genepool anywhere
If Towa is what I think she is, we may have already done just that.
>>
Wait, I just realized.
If Mechikabura and Fu were to participate, Towa's side of the family might be able to perform the Super Saiyan God ritual after she has another child with Karn.
I have no idea how that would go, but the possibilities are extremely interesting.
>>
>>5380937
>Got it, were gonna go fuck Shin's mom.
Uh I mean if you're not scared of getting splinters on your dick that's well and good but those goofy ass kais come from trees.
>>
>>5380979
Wait nix that. I had a brain fart and just remembered Mechikabura's got no Saiyan DNA, same with Towa. Let's hope we roll twins so we can get the Demon God ball rolling.
>>
>>5380980
Alright, we could just dump our thick meaty ki into the core planet's fertile soil like we did with New Salda and see what happens.

>>
>>5381014

>>
>>5381018

>>
>>5381078
>who knows for sure?

>>
>>5380875
let's say that Kazuma uses his wish to become a Saiyan would he be able to become Super Saiyan god without the ritual because of how much Divine energy he's been exposed to after his many deaths and resurrections.
>>
>>5381098
>let's say that Kazuma uses his wish to become a Saiyan
He gets immediately bullied. There will be no fake saiyans in this house, or New Salda.
>>
>>5381014
The players in XenoVerse can collect dragon balls and use them for wishes to get stronger or learn new fancy skills.

Has the boy ever tried that? Has the thought ever crossed his mind to use one of the actual advantages he has over Karn, being the dragon balls?
>>
>>5381098
I honestly think that'd be a waste of a wish, personally.
That being said it's everyone's favorite subject time now:
What would you wish for if you got the dragonballs? Normal Earth's balls, namekian balls, or super dragonballs somehow.

If I had the Super Dragonballs, I'd just wish to be a true Buu-style Majin. Not like the weaker buu-offshoots in xenoverse who can't even absorb people, I want to be able to absorb people to gain all their traits and moves. Plus an ACTUAL buu-style majin is absolutely broken with the abilities it already has, since it can split itself and retain full power in each split, regenerate from the tiniest speck, use magic without any effort, fight nonstop without losing power...you get the idea.
With weaker dragonballs, since I don't trust they'd be able to give me the full power that original Buu would have, I'd probably go for something simpler...maybe the ability to copy someone's knowledge just by touching them or through telepathy or something along those lines. Knowledge alone can get you unbelievably far in the dbverse, but acquiring it from unwilling targets can be pretty damn difficult, so I think that'd be a decent wish. Could also use it to live a pretty relaxed life if you play your cards right.
>>
>>5381088
As I’ve already said today, I don’t count.
>>5381098
That’s based off a false premise anyways. Kazuma’s too lazy to use a Saiyan body well.
>>5381111
He knows a surprisingly large number of skills. But Shenron has its limits, and only the strong hold onto a single ball for long, much less enough to gather the rest from other fighters
>>
>>5381114
At this point, if trunks had to work his way back up.the ladder to become supreme thots #2 all over again, could he even do it?
>>
>>5381126
He could, but then go on about the "morals" and "ethics" and all that little bitch nonsense
>>
>>5381112
The reason Buu has such magic is because of the Grand Supreme Kai. Without his power, Buu couldn’t do or use any magic at all.
>>5381126
>work
You’re implying he got there my any sort of fighting ability. He was a good dog who was charismatic enough to get others to work for her as well and helped build Toki Toki City itself out from the Time Nest. Before the city was broken and had to be rebuilt on the planet below, into Conton City. He is the “oldest” Time Patroller, in that he’s the only non-SKoT founding member.
>>
>>5381144
So he was only the favorite for being the oldest and most obedient rather than ability? Imagine being valued for how subservient you are. Jeez.
>>
>>5381149
>Imagine being valued for how subservient you are
Yes, I have worked a corporate job.
>>
>>5381144
I thought Majin Buu was an inherently magical being, hence why it has innate magical abilities.
>>

>>
>>5381363

>>
>>5381144
>The reason Buu has such magic is because of the Grand Supreme Kai. Without his power, Buu couldn’t do or use any magic at all.
I don't buy that. Different types of Buu, either with GSK's sealed mind or with GSK's sealed power, have used the transfiguration beam magic. And Kid Buu himself can use it, although not in any straight canon examples - he can use it it some videogames, like Fighterz for example.
Buu seems like an inherently magical being to me. The sheer amount of bullshit he can pull off even in his most BASIC form is ludicrous.
I also won't accept that answer on a personal level because they just want to make up reasons for fat buu being a useless turd in Super and keep immediately making his contributions worthless every time he makes one. Buu can get punched into eighty different Buus that all have the full power of Buu. Fuck Super's representation of Buu with an m80.
>>
>>5381149
>>5381170
Ouch, true.
>>5381275
Yes and no. His body is straight up magic bullshit, but he didn’t have magical abilities. Not until he absorbed two Kais.
>>5381363
Heh
>>5381388
Because he ABSORBED the Grand Supreme Kai, gaining access to his magical abilities. He didn’t have them inherently, other than those unique to his anatomy like splitting into multiple selves, super regeneration, absorption, etc. Which is how Majin Buu inherently works, absorbing people to gain their knowledge and techniques, as well as some of their personality. Although that last one may be an unintended side effect.
>spoiler
I’m not talking about Super. Because there’s not much there to mention. I’m talking abputabout how Buu was shown in the manga and original non-Kai anime.
>>
>>5381371
how can one god be this based.
>>
>>5381519
Because he gives not one fuck for politics, focused only on doing his job and doing it well. And when the job expectations of the God of Death expanded beyond what any god could handle, instead of letting tasks go uncompleted while selfishly holding onto power he abandoned a huge chunk of power and authority, delegating it out to create other deities and ensure the work continued.
>>
>>5381629
unironically proof thre is hope for gods and kais, even if most of the current generation needs to b ripped out that the roots.
>>
>>5381114
>But Shenron has its limits
Conton City's Shenron is stronger than most, second only to Super Shenron, and besides as we've seen in the Super manga's recent arc, the Dragon Balls can take you FAR beyond your punching class, given that you're willing to sacrifice your lifespan.
>>
>>5381747
i dunno, the black star dragonballs whre whack, too
>>
>>5381747
>Conton City's Shenron is stronger than most
I don’t know senpai, they seem a little cucked to me. All the wishes in xenoverse are pretty weak seeming.
I mean, for gods sake, wishing for money gives you only 500,000 zenni. Which isn’t that significant in conton’s economy. He could at least give me an unlimited use credit card…
Guess he’s not more powerful than the CapsuleCorp-backed Banks.
>>
>>5381769
No one fucks with the IRS.
>>
>>5381659
He’s one of the old gods. Not quite Nito old, but ancient nonetheless.
>>5381747
Stronger than most, but the Conton City Shenron clearly has limits to how strong it can make someone, using incremental increases. It can’t even unlock hidden potential like the Elder Kai and to a lesser extent the Namekian Elder Guru can. Gathering those dragon balls are not a path to any significant power.
>>5381765
They’re far stronger than the Conton City ones.
>>5381769
Remember though, the Conton City set have limitations set by Chronoa herself. Wouldn’t want anyone suddenly wishing for time control, mind control, or other bothersome immunities after all.
>>
Think Chaya is going to achieve a mastered version of SS Rage or tap into her inner Broly and make a Full Powered version of it as her answer to Primal and Apex. Either way, I vote whatever choice she decide should take the limited colors from Trunks for a design choice instead of SSB but not really
>>
>>5381807
>They’re far stronger than the Conton City ones.

well yeah, they dont even havev the year time limit, but a really nasty cost if you dont collect them all again

which, factoring GT lore, sounds like someone *wanted* a shadow dragon incident from thir overuse, now that i think about it
>>
>>5382013
Say what you will about GT but atleast it added some consequences over the Deus Ex Machina balls. The Earth would be dead 10 times over by now if those didn't exist.
>>
>>5382016
GT is pretty good, half the drama come from people expecting more DBZ when GT tried to capture some of that feeling of the orginal dragonball, imo, its basically like doom 3, a solid game on its own, just not a *doom* game, if you get what im saying
>>
>>5382020
>half the drama comes from people expecting more DBZ when GT tried to capture some of that feeling of the original dragonball
To me, GT still kinda falls flat in that regard.
OG Dragonball had plenty of dramatic writing, probably more than even Z if we're going by overall volume.
I'd also posit that GT's comedic moments fall flat much more often than anything in OG Dragonball did.
GT's strengths were its plot hooks and concepts, not so much the "feel" of the story or the actual execution thereof.
>>
>>5382011
We’ll have to wait and see what she does.
>>5382013
Or not so nasty, if you’re someone like Freeza/Beerus who needs planets destroyed.
>>5382016
True. Super may be the picturesque example of the shit working conditions and schedules of modern Jap anime studios, but GT was the king of wasted potential.
>>5382020
>>5382028
My big problems was it didn’t DO anything with the interesting concepts it showed, and the fights weren’t even on par with many of og Dragonball’s. Watch Goku vs Piccolo Jr at the 23rd WMAT again and tell me if any of GT’s fights compare on any level.
>>
>>5382134
What confuses me the most is the people who saw how shit Super was/is and started going "See! GT wasn't this bad!".
The obvious answer here is that both of the are shit, but I have no idea why that's such a common argument now.
>>
>>5382143
Eh. People pick sides and bitch about the other all the time, just like in real life. You're seeing a common case of
>My tribe good; Their tribe bad.
>>
>>5382143
It's the same argument that OG DB fans and Z fans have been waging war with for decades. As for me, Super is AU continuity trash alongside with minus and anything Toriyama says post end of Z. So it doesn't bother me one bit since it can't ruin the original series.
>>
>>5382181
I'd say that overall, OG is better, but Z definitely has higher peaks.
Z in particular is wild, because a lot of folks don't really remember how wildly the quality in writing fluctuated.
Raditz was admittedly pretty mediocre. Everything after that up to the end of the Frieza Saga is fucking kino.
Then you get some stumbles once Future Trunks and the Androids roll around, but it all comes back to a pretty good place by the end of the Cell Saga.
Then you have the Buu Saga which was largely phoned in and feels like wading through raw sewage to grab some gold nuggets.
>>
>>5382197
>Two Yajirobis
>No Tien or Chaozu
>Buu arc characters get ignored
It's weird looking at this volume collection and seeing these inconsistencies. Also the Namek arc isn't as perfect as everyone makes it out to be. It has just as many flaws as the Android/Cell arc when you break it down.
>>

>>5382159
Ooga booga indeed
>>5382181
>since it can't ruin the original series.
I have to disagree. Bad continuations can ruin the originals, just look at Star Wars.
>>5382197
Not so much the writing angle, because most fans I’m confident in saying haven’t actually read the manga itself. But hoo boy the anime was a mixed bag. You can see it the most vividly in Cell vs Goku, with four different Perfect Cell designs in ONE FIGHT.
Admittedly, Toriyama was clearly over Dragonball by the Buu saga and it shows.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 180 Epilogue-

AGE 750, THE LUCREHULK

“I see, I see. So your divine physiology actually purifies liquids that come into contact with you, which is why you only drink higher alcohol content drinks. Interesting.” you say, looking the blue haired woman over again with a keener eye. If what your uncle Cold told you is true and she actually fully healed him, curse and all, then that's nothing short of a miracle. And being a deity of water who's natural physiology purifies drinks as the liquids touch her, no wonder she naturally gravitated towards stronger drinks. “Well then, let's skip the casual drinks and move onto the harder stuff.”
“Now that's the spirit!” the goddess Aqua replies excitedly. “I'm quite the connoisseur when it comes to the good stuff, so don't hold back thinking I can't take it.”

You are Arctus; one of the last of your race and most brilliant of your kind. You brought back from the panels of history a long forgotten massive warship and are currently on the hunt for the unknown hacker helping those gathered Remnants of former enemies. But just as you were about to recruit the famed assassins to your cause, you'd received this odd call from King Cold instead. You ponder deeply for a moment, wondering what she's had before, but without knowing what their world produced you aren't sure what she's had. You need more information.

“So, are you more of a refined wine drinker, a hard liquor connoisseur, a delicate mixed drink consumer, or something else? What are your tastes?” you ask her, seeing the clearly-slow woman scratching her head without the slightest hint of refinement as she thinks. Is she really the goddess your uncle portrays her as? While she thinks you look to him, but he seems completely unphased by her. Perhaps she really is the real deal.
“I like the really, really good stuff.” she finally answers. “Something that burns in that good way going down, know what I mean?”

“Ahhh, I see.” you reply, smirking at the blue-haired woman. You know just what she'll like. “Tell me, have you ever had a green whiskey?”
“Green? Whiskey isn't green.” she replies, very matter-of-factually. “A cheap gimmick like food dye isn't enough to get me to jump.”
“Believe me when I say that it isn't some simple trick. It is an exceptionally rare brew, one from a long-destroyed planet. Planet Kerrfal, if I recall.” you say, her brow rising curiously. “As far as I know, there are less than a dozen of these bottles left in the entire universe. And over the last twenty years, I managed to acquire three of them. One of them I drank already, but there are still two bottles stored there for safekeeping.”

“If you've got two, then I suppose I won't feel bad for claiming one.” Aqua says, a smile on her almost-childlike face. “Thank you very much Arctus, you and I should go drinking together sometime.”
“Haha, I agree. Once your business on Planet Namek is concluded and I've finished my little rat hunt, we should celebrate our victories.” you reply. She skips off-screen, leaving you and King Cold alone. As she turns to leave, his expression turns serious.

“Speaking of, how is the hunt?” he asks, you both understanding the code. Ever since discovering that there was a rogue hacker crawling through your networked systems like a little rat, and even seized temporary control over your Lucrehulk space ship, you all had agreed to never discuss important matters through any 'official' channel, no matter how secure it is thought to be. Instead, every update is given telepathically, where no outside force can tap in unnoticed. “I take it that, since you picked up my call so quickly, you were about to make one of your own?”
“I was. And I made an interesting discovery.” you say, pondering how to say what you'd found in easily-understood code. “I found that the rat hides by retreating behind a very special wall, one that can't be seen past.”

“Oh? And that wall is still standing because?” Cold asks you, understanding enough. So you keep going with this metaphor, feeling a small grin growing.
“The wall belongs to some very powerful pest exterminators.” you tell him. “Clever bastard. But once the exterminators know what this rat has been up do, I doubt it will live for much longer.”
“I see. And what of their fee?” King Cold asks, now clearly understanding who you're referencing. “I'll send the funds over immedi-”
“Actually, that won't be necessary.” you interrupt, King Cold now raising his own brow in surprise. “I know one of their more...Technologically-savvy members. I know how to turn the screws to get their unquestioning cooperation.”

“Very well, I shall leave this in your hands.” King Cold replies, then ends the call. You hang it up as well, sighing out in relief. As you do, you hear the familiar “Pssssht” of a can popping, and looking over your shoulder you see your Stand, Blue Hawaii, chugging the can down.
“Hey! What did I tell you?” you shout, Blue Hawaii not even looking your way as it tosses the can in its other hand directly to your open palm. You catch the drink as he stops, you cracking the top and touching cans with Blue Hawaii before both of you chug your cheap drinks. The good stuff is for once the day's work is done, but that doesn't mean you have to work stone cold sober. “Better. But once I start this call, you've gotta go away. I don't know if they can see Stands, but if they can I'd rather keep you a surprise for if we ever have to fight them. These Zoldyck assassins aren't exactly our allies.”

Wordlessly your Stand finishes his drink, crushes the can flat against his head, then salutes you before vanishing. At least for now. You take another deep breath, sigh out, then turn your focus onto the screen as you punch in the call. Several moments of tense silence greet you as the call goes through, the screen showing a thin line of static before springing to life, revealing a rather serious looking servant of the house who isn't looking at the camera or telecommunication screen.

“You have reached the Zoldyck Estate.” he says in a rather dry monotone. “Please state the purpose of your call.”
“I am Arctus Cold, of the PTO.” you say, the man actually looking up and seeing you upon hearing your name. “I need to speak with Silva Zoldyck immediately. A serious matter has arisen regarding our mutual enemy, the Lin Kuei.”
“The Lin Kuei were destroyed. Never to be seen...” he starts, trailing off as you raise the severed(and mechanically gutted) head of one of the cyborg Lin Kuei you and Blue Hawaii had dispatched on your ship. Without another word your screen goes black, for a second leaving you thinking he'd actually just cut the call. But less than a minute later the servant returns to the screen, looking a bit paler than before. “Master Silva is in, as is Master Zeno. They will see you now.”

“Thank you for your cooperation.” you tell him, then the image on the screen shifts. It takes a second or three to stabilize, but once the image comes in clear you see both Silva Zoldyck and his father Zeno both sitting on a couch, meeting you at just under Zeno's eye level. Giving you the impression that both are looking down on you, as is the intended effect. “Greetings gentlemen, I apologize for the short notice.”
“Haaaah, never is it good news delivered on short notice.” the eldest living Zoldyck, Zeno says with a sigh. “Very well, let's hear it. What's wrong?”

“I've figured out why I couldn't catch the saboteur I've been hunting.” you say, both of the assassins perking up a bit at this. “Every time I've started closing in on them, they've begun retreating directly behind a security wall I cannot pass.”
“Cannot, or will not?” Silva, the broad-shouldered man who's serious expression reminds you of Karn asks directly.
“Will not.” you clarify, then add. “Because it is your security wall.”

Both of their eyes widen at this, you watching as they both think through a hundred scenarios in seconds without a word. But the older assassin speaks first, his words carefully guarded and measured.

“I do hope that, for your own sake as well as ours, that you're not accusing anyone.” Zeno says, his eyes locking onto your own with fierce intensity. “Such an accusation could have... Calamitous consequences.”
“I'm not accusing anyone.” you clarify, holding up both hands to signal non-verbally that you're not threatening the Zoldyck family. “I'm merely letting you know what is happening, before I get back in touch with Milluki. He's still the one handling your net security and functionality, isn't he?”

“He is.” Zeno says, still poised like a serpent about to strike, very careful and measured in his responses.
“Good. Once I've caught him up to speed and he's aware of his security measures being beaten, we can work together to apprehend our little rat.” you tell them, keeping your tone calm and businesslike despite the occasional buzzed slur at the end of a word slipping through. “He can set one of his devious traps through the server there, then once I run the rat back into the trap, he can snap it shut. We'll have the bastard then.”

“An older trap, but if one has grown complacent in their routine it can prove fatal.” Silva says, looking to his father for the final say. “What do you think, Dad?”
“I think it is an excellent idea.” Zeno says, a dangerous gleam coming to his eye. “Knowing that enough of those Lin Kuei managed to escape us to rebuild their organization is quite annoying. I'd rather have this wrapped up quickly and quietly, as soon as possible.”
“Agreed. Especially since they've teamed up with an unknown number of former Covenant as well.” you tell them, raising the stripped down metal head of one of these 'Cyber' Sangheilli as well. “The sooner we're rid of all of these mechanical abominations, the better.”

“I see, that explains it. No wonder so many escaped us.” Zeno says, his voice thoughtful. “Best to clear out these remnants sooner, rather than later. Allowing them to fester and grow could only spell trouble for us all in the long run.”
“Very well. I'm sending you over to Milluki now.” Silva says, the screen goes dark again. You sigh out, taking another deep pull from your can of cheap stuff to help you focus on the job at hand. The easy part's over, now the real work begins.

Except your screen stays black. For over a minute no one answers, then just as you're about to get annoyed and do something the screen comes back to life. You see the pudgy, out-of-shape face of the Zoldyck boy, Milluki.

“Look, I know what you're trying to pull.” he says immediately, no greeting or anything. “And the answer is no. There's no way in hell I'm letting you PTO bastards get any sort of access into my system. Especially not you, Drunk Savant.”
“I'll take that as a compliment.” you reply amicably, not letting anything show on your face. “But I don't want into your security. I want you to catch this rat, by setting a trap inside your security.”
“A trap? You're implying someone can get past my impenetrable defenses.” he replies, a bit too confidently. You're tempted to take his security system down entirely, as even with him at the helm fighting you it shouldn't take more than a few minutes, tops. But instead you decide to try the diplomatic route.

“Not only have they gotten past, they've been hiding behind your defenses while attacking the PTO's systems.” you tell him. “Now, I doubt that it was you, or anyone in your family honestly. I doubt you all would be working with those Lin Kuei you all tried to exterminate not too long ago. And if you don't believe me, just check through the access logs. Or, do you not even keep track of who's doing what on your network?”
“Of COURSE I keep track!” he responds heatedly, your tone and provocation firing him up as his fingers fly over two separate keyboards. “See, just as I thought. There has been no one other than my family accessing....Wait...”

His self-righteous tone completely vanishes as his eyes widen, no doubt seeing a clear inconsistency in his information.

“N-No way. That mother fucker!” Milluki shouts, slamming a fist down on one of the many keyboards spread around him. Keys go flying everywhere, but he pays them no mind with his furious glare still on his screen. He then whirls back towards you, murderous rage in his eyes as he seethes at you through clenched teeth. “If this is you, I'm going to kill you.”
“I haven't gone past your network's outer defenses since you first set them up.” you answer honestly, leaving out that you'd cracked his defenses within an hour the day his network had gone online. But not knowing how they attacked at you through their system without his notice is leaving you curious. “What happened?”
“The bastard. They didn't send up any flags while going through our private network because they were using an existing account.” he declares, then after a moment adds with much less fire. “My brother's.”

“How didn't your brother notice?” you ask, confused. “Aren't there systems set up to prevent multiple log ins on...”

But seeing the expression on his face you trail off, feeling that you've somehow stepped over some sort of line.

“They were using my brother's account. My deceased brother.” Milluki says, a lot of the fire from before now gone, the boy on the brink of tears. “I'm gonna make them pay for this. Desecrating my dead brother's name like that, I'm going to hunt them down and tear out their entrails. One inch at a time.”
“Hold on, I have an idea.” you tell him, the rotund boy again meeting your gaze. “Instead of deleting the account or preventing their access, or anything else that will tip them off that we're onto them, we need to be more subtle if we want to catch them.”

“Them?” he asks, staying silent as you quickly catch him up on the remnants situation. Once you've explained everything that's happened, he crosses his arms, glaring at the screen. “I'm in. I want to see these bastards suffer for using my brother's name like this. But tracking them down once they've accessed the account will still be tricky. What's my compensation for this job?”
“Compensation?” you ask, suddenly baffled. “These assholes use your brother's name to try and send my family and yours to war against each other, and you're wanting paid?”

“Nothing unreasonable. But I did see the footage from the war, and I know what you've got.” he says, as a more predatory grin comes to his face. “I want one.”
“One what?” you ask, suddenly feeling very worried for some reason. If he wants a Lurcehulk, you're either going to have to make him a 1:10000 scale replica, or actually break through his security to track this bastard yourself. But then he names his price, and you feel the tension in your back and shoulders melt.
“I saw those mobile suits fighting with the Lucrehulk during the war. I want one.” he says, eyes lighting up. “But not just any old mobile suit. I want one of those good ones, the Gundam frames.”

“A Gundam for the location, planet, and every last scrap of information you can dig up about these remnants.” you say, appearing to be thinking it over. But instead, you're reaching out to Orga, the leader of Tekkadan for confirmation that there are other Gundam frames than the two his people have back on their world. Which he confirms, there are at least two others that he knows of. You thank him for the information, ending the mental call while raising your drink to the screen and tapping it. “Deal.”
“Deal.” Milluki says, hands going to one of the unbroken keyboards as he begins typing away. “I'll let you know as soon as I have something.”
“One last thing. The bastard nearly compromised the ENTIRE Lucrehulk when he got past my security before.” you tell him, tapping the side of your head with your free hand before continuing the conversation via telepathy. “So, from here on out, no official channels. Telepathic communications only.”

“Oh, you know telepathy as well?” he asks aloud, seemingly genuinely surprised at this revelation. “Perfect. I'll think you the information as soon as I get it. But you can send the Gundam information through the official channels, once you've got a good one secured. Now go on, I need to concentrate.”

You end the call, smiling a triumphant smile as you finish the cheap drink, then rise to your feet. You've done enough today, time to sit back, relax, and enjoy a bottle of the good stuff.

“Finally. I was about to start sobering up.” Blue Hawaii says, your Stand appearing beside you as you stand up. “Let's get some of that fiery orange tonight, to celebrate.”
“I think that's a great idea.” you reply, humming a little tune to yourself as you leave the control station behind. If anything happens you still have full access through your wrist computer, but you've earned a little break. After all, there is no feeling better than when a plan starts coming together.

-MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE ZOLDYCK ESTATE-

“Told you they had no idea.” Milluki says as the call ends, turning and looking over to his brother Illumi, who'd been standing off-screen and listening to the entire conversation. “Now we can ditch these guys, have the PTO mop them up, and get away completely clean.”
“I have to admit, your acting skills have improved, little brother.” Illumi replies, brows furrowing a bit. “But why did you push it? Asking for a reward could have blown the whole operation wide open if he couldn't pay and decided to try and infiltrate us instead.”

“It was a calculated risk.” the larger brother replies, turning fully towards his elder. “If I'd just gone along with his demands without making any of my own, Arctus would have grown suspicious. The Colds are shrewd negotiators, they know we don't work for free. Even for our own revenge. If I didn't ask for anything, he would have wondered why I was so willing to help. As if I was hiding something.”
“Good thinking.” he says, raising a hand to his chin as he ponders for a moment. “Perhaps I've been too quick to judge. How soon do you think you should send the information?”
“In a month.” Milluki says confidently. “One last attack on a PTO system, while gathering those remnants all on one world. Then I can send Arctus the information and sit back and watch the fireworks.”

>>5384067
He fucked himself. The veteran warriors of the Covenant aren't pushovers, nor are they completely retarded.
As soon as they realize Milluki and Illumi fucked them, they're gonna blab. Once that info hits Karn's ears and scouter, it's fucking over.
Once we deal with these Remnants, maybe we can break bread with what's left of Sangheili leadership.
Best we try the diplomatic approach so their resentment doesn't fester and explode as soon as Karn dies.
>>
>>5384077
But do they know it was him? Or were all of his dealings through his virtual avatar, like when he tried to sabotage the Lucrehulk?
There are more than just one or two splinter factions from the Covenant’s remains.
>>
>>5384089
Well either way, the avatar being traced back to the Zoldyck's servers is a pretty big hint. We may not arrive the to right conclusion at first, but it wouldn't take a genius to reconsider things after a while.

Potentially, some of the smarter characters may eventually doubt the 'official' story.

All this 3D Chess Arctus and Milluki are playing is making my head spin. If only solving every problem could be as easily solved as "punch it until it stops moving"

>>5384229
I love pivotal character development beats like that. A lot of quests make it about getting from Point A to Point B, but our character has definitely evolved over the years in universe and out. The Karn from Planet Vegeta would never be this sappy and honorable. he also wouldn't have murked Killua back then.

>>5384312
Not all write ins are created equal
>>
>>5384055
Have any learned anything beyond that though?
I'm sure more than a few have learned telekinesis as well, but I'm not sure if that counts as a psychic technique given the advent of Ki manipulation.
>>
>>5384538
That’s probably spoilers to mention. Telekinesis(at least how it is most often practiced, there are exceptions), however, isn’t always a psychic ability. Some like Karn use their ki for telekinesis. Remember, ki is the use of one’s physical power externally from their body.
>>
>>5384564
Man. It's a wonder we haven't been using Telekinesis more often.
I remember it being super effective against that armored stand user, but I have to wonder if it's because Stands usually don't interfere with the transmission of Ki.
>>
>>5384593
>Man. It's a wonder we haven't been using Telekinesis more often.
Because I don’t include it very often as an option, so everyone forgets Karn has it from time to time. Using it correctly could very easily have trivialized certain fights with relatively easy rolls. Just look at the first Arbiter fight on New Salda. Draw your sword, charge in, as he swings pull his arm aside and stab straight through the chest. But don’t worry, there’s one big fight left for Karn in this arc. And you’ll have plenty of chances to try out all sorts of different techniques on this opponent. Going to be one hell of a rematch.
>>
>>5384617
didn't he have two swords though. he probably would have just blocked with that one and that trick would have only worked once.
>>
>>5384617
>we could've used telekinesis to make the Arbiter decapitate himself
>or throw the hammer like a boomerang
Now I'm mad. We should've had the Gravity Hammer finish in honor of brutebro.
>>
>>5384617
>Going to be one hell of a rematch
My gut says it's gonna be Cold or Frieza, but my heart says Boros or Cooler.
Any of those matches would be fantastic though.
>>
>>5384625
>and that trick would have only worked once.
It would take extraordinary circumstances to get someone with a big, flashy telekinetic move more than once.
>>5384631
>decapitate himself
No. Where your telekinesis is physical and not psychic, you’d have to overpower him to do that. Which is a whole lot different than ‘nudging his elbow’ enough to send a strike wide and leave him wide open for a lethal counter.
>>5384646
What if I told you that the big fight is none of them?
>>
>>5384564
I thought we used the force for our telekinesis.

I thought it was the only force thing we were actually good it.
>>
>>5384617
I remember Tatsu Sr. being pretty adept at Telekinesis based fighting before he passed.
While it's a shame we can't learn from him, is it something we could potentially master on our own?
>>
>>5384750
I think Karn's greatest force powers are his Foresight and Meditation, though that has more to do with the fact that those are the only explicit Force Powers we seem to use often.
I bet Karn would be an absolute menace if he managed to master that fear absorption ability we used during the mission on High Charity.

Understatement of the century. Most of the known galaxy shits itself with fear in Karn's presence. Think about it
>everytime The Boi pisses himself, we get stronger
The Supreme Cunt would need to find a replacement lapdog leading the charge once she puts two and two together and realizes why Karn gets a buff in Xeno Trunks's presence.

Lobo here we come pt. 2
>>

You can use it to enhance your telekinesis, but that’s more of a subconscious/emotion based effect. Like with the secret door in Towa’s Lab.
>>5384753
Absolutely, you’d just have to practice. A lot. Which is why it came so easy to him, using his ‘phantom’ limb for telekinesis.
>>5384756
Foresight absolutely, at the moment. As for the fear drinker, it is only a temporary buff. Once the source of that fear your drinking fades away, so does the buff.
>>5384813
Karn is quite the known menace.
>>5384839
>Lobo part two
Why would he want a rematch? He barely survived as is.
>>
>>5384843
Does lobo realized that he was lied to about dolphin murder?
>>
>>5384846
No. But by the time he got back to The Thieves’ Den, he learned what happened to Nabu. And realized that Karn may actually NOT be the most dangerous Saiyan.
>>
>>5384858
thats liek saying a pit viper is more dangerous then a bear.

both are equally capable of killing you in their own way
>>
>>5384843
>Why would he want a rematch? He barely survived as is.
>Lobo, with his Perfect Cell BS regen
PUSSYYYYY!!!
>>
>>5384858
You know, since the reason Lobo is immortal is because the afterlife literally just won't take him, would Jergal sponsor a nice trip into it to slap the management until they put Lobo back on the entry list or is the only way he's truly dying through special fuckery?
>>
>>5384877
If they don't want his immortal soul, we can just destroy that along with his body.
>>
>>5384881
We WERE doing that before he ripped his own head off. Several times.
>>
>>5384872
Karn could obliterate his body and proved so over and over. But Chilli is clearly capable of killing immortals, with the Supreme Kai’s apprentice coming in to save Nabu.
>>5384874
He’s not a masochist, he doesn’t ENJOY the pain of his bodies dying over and over and over.
>>5384877
If you read the fine print, the reaper(s) are not to collect his soul. Says nothing about not killing his body.
>>
>>5384903
>Says nothing about not killing his body.
I'm pretty sure his corporeal form was completely obliterated once. So he went around as a soul and possessed someone or something. And then he got better. Because of course he did.
>>
>>5384938
Yes but that’s ooc knowledge, and may not have even happened in this timeline yet.
>>
>>5384952
If only we could mafuba his ass in a rice cooker or something.
>>
Also, to the anon who asked what I think Karn sounds like, I finally found it again. Preparing for tomorrow I was rewatching some classic Ippo fighting, as one does, and I found the voice I hear in my head. Mainly when Karn’s raging and roaring, it sounds like these roars, from :13 to :24.

>>5384964
Yeah, Sendou's VA totally fits. That motherfucker kills it with his performance.
>>
>>5384964
That IS breddy gud. Its intense and full of life (with the intent to take life)
>>
>>5384963
It would be effective
>>5385007
Oh yeah, Mr. Bond. He nails the intensity
>>5385024
I’m not a fan of his regular voice for Karn, but for screaming and roaring? Absolutely
>>
>>5385237
>I’m not a fan of his regular voice for Karn, but for screaming and roaring? Absolutely
Japan would totally disregard the fact that he's about 275 lbs of testosterone at his lightest.
Remember, these are the people who are more than okay with what is clearly an old lady voicing no less than 3 adult men.
>>
>>5385258
True. But she's had the role of Goku since the anime began, can't take that role from her. Although I do agree that adult Gohan should have had a different VA.
