Hello, This is the Epilogue to my longest quest ( Persona: Moonless) as I wanted to my players some kind of a closure after 16 thread and a few spin offs. I ran said quest for nearly two years and I hate to leave it on some cliffhanger. My players deserve at least some semblance of an ending which I will provide after a very,very lengthy series of 'prompts' which will give you to chance to ask about what happened to x/y...etc.

This is it. All the events, the hardships, the ups and downs had let you to thus moment. There is no going back now. The fate of everything and everyone relies on your shoulders.

Johann Fol, A nobody then a Moonlit Hunter and now.... this. You can't believe how fast the months flew by. All the friends you made along the way...All enemies you had to fight...All events culminating to this particular moment. They are starting to roll in the back of your mind like a movie reel. You instinctively asked yourself: What happened? Perhaps you wouldn't be able to answer all of these burning question hidden inside your memories but you are gonna try anyways.

A quick rundown ( not really quick, will take dozens of +3k posts ) of what happened to Johann and his merry band of Moonlit hunters from 3/23 to 1/6 of the following year. This is a very abridged version, a attempt to condense +50 thread in a few posts so bear with me.

GENSIS

Let's take a step back a little bit to the literal moment of creation of the universe. There were no cycles, nothing. Just an empty void which would soon materialise into the progenitor of all:

Ocekeon

A dormant entity encompassing all creation, like an egg waiting to be hatched. Its hatching created what is known to be Nede or the land of the Endless ( still no cycles)

Ocekeon was split into two sentient souls:
- Oce , the Father ( Which would later become Ruin in Form)
-Keon, the Mother ( Which would later become HER and its add-ons like Shapless Baroness

Two divine beings born from the same entity, they had the powers to shape this newborn land and realities to their hearts' content. Slowly, they began to learn alien concepts like air, pride, plants, loneliness and eventually...love.

The fruits of their love were called Kenr or the perfect ones. They were much like their divine parents spreading joy in the land of the Endless. Everything was as it should be.

Yet, Something troubled Keon, seeds of doubts were germinating inside of her. She was inherently the aspect of Change while her faithful husband was quite the opposite. She wished to see something different and exciting as her true nature commanded her to do so.

And so, The Mother altered the unborn children inside her womb with small imperfections. Nothing too crippling of course ( she had no notion of pain and suffering at this point).

Shocked by Imperfect his children were, Oce committed the first sin and act of violence slaughtering his children before their mother's tearful eyes. He also obliterated thier flawed and tainted souls, they simply vanished from existence. Some sided with the Father horrified by these Venr or the flawed ones while others sided with the broken Mother who stood powerless during this unjustified infanticide. Neither sides were willing to take any drastic actions... for now.

Oce's frustration and disdain grew with each generation of Venr he had to murder for the sake of preserving the perfect image he had for Nede. His relation with Keon grew more and more distant as she hoped that he might see some beauty in these tiny imperfections. At one point, She realised that she was only alive because Oce could only procreate with her. Their Offsprings couldn't fulfil that particular role.

The growing tension was ceased for a spell when Keon chose to quell his wrath by producing regular Kenr when more of her children were whispering behind the ears of the father about how ' tainted ' she had become. This facade was shortlived when a horrible truth was discovered....

A Kenr couple birthing a lowly Venr signifying the end of everything Oce had held dear. Keon confessed her true intentions to Oce during the heated argument between them prompting him to ask her the unthinkable....

To murder both the parents and their child.

This was the breaking point and the start of the first Nede War

TROUBLE IN PARADISE

Keon refused to kill her children, that was a line she wasn't willing to cross. Instead, she stood her ground to defend her children. It was Oce who wounded her first , Keon was forced to retaliate unleashing a deadly miasma that gave her enough time for her followers to escape.

Nede, the land of the Endless, was engulfed by war. Weapons of mass destruction from both side scathed the land. Oce was struck by the realisation that he could no longer govern death as the miasma was slowly eating him from inside. This newfound fear had spread among his followers as well.

In summary, the first Nede war was fought between.

- Oce ( The Father) and most of the Kenr
- Keon ( The Mother) with few Kenr and future Venr

While Oce had both the numerical superiority combined with his innate strength, He could no longer procreate relying solely on his off spring which grew weaker and weaker with each generation. Any Venr found within their ranks was systemically killed. Keon, other the other hand, had found strength in her little imperfections who were also getting weaker with each generation. Divine blood was simply getting diluted from both sides.

Thousands of years has passed , the godly souls of the dead didn't cease to exist like the first victims of Oce, no. The silent void would slowly swallow them turning their collective conscience to what was known as Providence. The stalemate continued with millions of casualties from both sides. Nede was a crumbling wasteland which sorely needed some mending. It was through the combined efforts of Yenvoyoh ( The first flawed one who lived) and Terdiv ( One of the first Kenr) that a ceasefire was made possible only for the sake of Nede.

Oce and Keon would use their reality bending powers to regenerate the land but both of them were way past their prime. Oce never fully recovered by the miasma, he was heartbroken after killing generation after another since very few Kenr were born while Keon was horrified of what she had become wondering if she was indeed born tainted from the very start.

The two gods were quick to conclude the following: despite being past their prime, both of them couldn't be killed in any way. At worst, they would be reduced to a pitiful state. The only method they could truly cease to exist was by merging together in a 'marriage' returning to their previous status as Ocekeon.

Both Yenvoyoh ( or Yenv in short) and Terdiv had their reasons for the ceasefire. Yenv , while being relatively young, was a gifted with foresight. He was aware of the devastating powers of his mother that shouldn't be unleashed or the whole universe would end. Terdiv didn't condemn his parents or their actions, he believe in the law of inevitability. One side would bring law whole other would usher chaos. He believed that as their child, he should maintain the status quo via a neutral stance ensuring that no side wins this war.

The beginning of the end.


Nede would flourish during this ceasefire. A brief reminiscent of what was. It was for all purposes, temporary and fragile in nature yearning for a single spark to ignite the fires of war again.

The Second Nede war started in the void when the collective conscience of all the dead souls amalgamated into a single raging entity: Providence.

A mindless force of nature hellbent on exacting revenge against its murderous parents. More would suffer and die during this war which forced both Oce and Keon to work together against this otherworldly threat.

Oce was so weak that he couldn't fully obliterate souls any more. It was Keon who managed to 'kill' it by using her chaotic power to shatter the entity into endless fragments corrupting the outer souls which would eventually form the veil. Providence herself would reform eons later with proper sentience and so much hatred for Keon or what would Shapeless Baroness.

The third and final Nede 'war' was instigated by followers of Oce who saw the writing on the wall, their numbers were dwindling fast compared to the swathe of the flawed ones. They infiltrated Keon's domain to deliver what they thought to be the final blow to Keon.

They were horribly mistaken.

What Yenv feared had come into fruition, Keon was reduced into an unstable core obliterating nearly everything and everyone in the universe. She was severely weakened after dealing with Providence so it was a somewhat doable task to strike her down.

The land of the Endless was no more. True to its name, each chunk of Nede combined with the souls of the lost melded with the outburst of chaotic energy has created a near infinite number of universes , each one had its own cycle. The older generations joined either the creation of these cycles with the more powerful ones creating the well known moons which could transverse between one cycle and another.

Only few had survived the big bang, still not fully aware of the cycles and its lower lifeforms, Oce had to focus on the volatile core of Keon which was about to explode once more.

Through utilising most of his powers combined with all of his sons and daughter and the flesh of Terdiv ( who would be later known as the director) , Oce managed to create a prison to hold the Mother's destructive nature before eventually drifting in the cold nothing.

A new era

Thus, the reign of the gods and their children has ended, ushering a new age of elves, humans and everything inbetween who remained woefully ignorant of their origin... a mistake, an impossibility made true and real. The fate of the divines and their lineage was:

The oldest generation ( most powerful) : obliterated from existence, turned into Providence, turned into several moons along with the seeds that sprouted other universes with the help of Nede.

The older generation (Somewhat powerful): Same as above minus the creation of the moons.

The Youngest Generation ( the weakest of the bunch): Alongside the corrupted remnants of Providence, they formed the Veil . However, they were the prototype of who will essentially be the son/daughter of twelve/None

Providence: Her defeat by Keon had somehow purified her, instead of a maelstrom of wrathful souls, they had achieved unison forming one powerful entity who couldn't have reformed itself without the worship of millions of alien and foreign creatures born after the destruction of Nede through countless cycle. Providence is the stars , the mass that occupies the void. She gained empathy from her worshippers especially the dryads from various cycles. She decided to give a select few the gift of sight so perhaps they wouldn't suffer a fate like hers. She still actively hates Ruin and Shapeless but she wouldn't go out of her way to attack them unless extreme and rare circumstances.

Terdiv ( the director): After shedding his skin and flesh to aid his father in making the ultimate prison for his mother. Terdiv realised his role in the future... a guardian, a custodian, a director for those who will inherit Nede. He was the second to immediately notice the cycles and the little mortals dwelling inside of them. His mission was simple: to retain an even playing grounds for both sides. True neutrality by safekeeping dangerous artifacts that can alter cycles and catching those pesky cycle hoppers like the Elusive Dyadidaud. The director was aware that he couldn't achieve his goal without too much direct intervention. Thus, He created the Agency which housed a number of talented mortals fit for the job. Some of them were even the fabled son/daughter of none/twelve. He wished his brother would stop interfering with his plans. It was very bothersome to deal with Yenv's failures.

Oce ( Ruin in form): Having spent nearly all of its power , Oce was in a comatose like state for many eons only to wake up in a form which was a mockery of his past self. There was this insistent need for perfection deep inside of him, one that he couldn't achieve. At first, he attempted to visit Keon in her prison. There was nothing that resembled the woman he adored inside this dilapidated prison. Only a ravenous blob slowly devouring a different kind of souls to add to itself. Keon was no more, she only housed a strange flesh puppet

He retraced the source of these souls back to a new world full of flaws, imperfections and sins. He single handedly destroyed thousands of cycles disgusted by how they were even worse than his Venr. His wanton rampage was getting rather more cumbersome each time, He had come to the conclusion that he was a relic of past. In one of the cycles he was about to destroy, he sensed something marvelous among the lowly mortals. A speck of his blood, so minute and insignificant yet it brought a flood of memories to his mind. This was first son of twelve/None he would encounter who was aware of his presence. How could he have known?

The son retaliated against him using a novel idea he had never seen before. A persona, a figment of his imagination. It actually managed to injure Ruin but He quickly dealt with this failure of a son along with his pitiful cycle. It was then when Ruin in Form decided to try something like it. The power of imagination was no substitute to procreation but it would do.

Laedras would be the first to emerge from his twisted thoughts bearing the same image as Keon. She wasn't just a persona , She was the embodiment of Keon he used to love and cherish. She too had adored him as a fatherly figure. Much like his wife, Laedras asked him to give his sons/daughters and their cycles a chance by purging their worlds of sins using their powers.

Time after time, they had failed him and Laedras. The result was the same at end with his favorite shadow doing all of the dirty work for him. Ruin was concerned about her increasingly apparent deviance but he did nothing about it for he couldn't lose his wife for the second time.

In a twisted turn of events, She fell in love with the Elusive Dyadidaud who reincarnated as the daughter of none/twelve in a fated cycle which had enraged Ruin. After murdering Dyadidaud, Laedras killed herself just out of spite. She was a soulless shadow, a thought to be erased. However, Ruin refused to accept her death severing a portion of the veil ( leading to its eventual degradation) to revive her in a pocket dimension. Her existence was an unnatural enigma, Not even gods could create something from nothing. Ironically , her pocket dimension served as a prison too for her actual death would open a mighty void swallowing perhaps everything that existed to recreate Ocekeon once more.

Eventually, Ruin grew more and more jaded with each cycle, ultimately deciding to destroy them all but not without some little theatrics first; he would offer the same deal to his future sons or daughters, death for both failure and success for no cycle would be truly perfect. He would rarely destroy cycles by himself relying on his army of shadows instead.

Keon (Shapeless Baroness) : Reduced to a mere thoughtless core, Keon remained dormant for ages. As cracks began to appear in her prison, she managed to absorb a sliver of the veil to regain some will and intelligence once more, her eyes were set on the budding worlds outside with their cycles. It was a very slowly process to lure powerful mortals into her core by promising them untold powers and riches slowly corrupting them in the process. They would act as windows to the godless cycles, her eyes to see and to explore.

Eventually, Keon learned of Oce's schemes. By turning her latest victim to a flesh puppet via 'marriage', Oce planned her own schemes against her husband corrupting many sons/daughters of twelve in the process. Her ultimate goal was to break free from her prison, 'kill' Oce and consume all of the remaining cycles.

Yenv: The first flawed one was bright enough to have a failsafe plan in case his mother ended Nede by accident. A small dimension which did indeed save him from certain death. He was the first to notice the cycles with new lives quickly spreading. To him, It was the ultimate balance between good and evil. He was fascinated by it so much so that he created the Elusive Dyadidaud to properly study these mortals.

Yenv didn't wish for mortals to fall under the extreme influence of his parents. He did tolerate the actions of his brother ( Terdiv) and the collection of his siblings ( Providence) since they were benefiting mortals in their own way. When he learned of Ruin's revival, He decided to steel the mortals by reaching to the most powerful person in each cycle.

That person would be the son/daughter of twelve/None.

Each cycle has a single individual bearing the powers of his kin ( albeit in its most diluted form). He teached the first son who to summon his persona. Alas, it wasn't enough to fully repel his father and so he did create the person who is known as Igor to help future sons and daughters.

Countless failures, Countless cycles lost. His subtle influence had gained him a following slowly increasing his power. While he didn't want to be worshiped, he could use any advantage in his eternal fight against his parents. His ultimate goal was for mortals to be free from the shackle of his kin, free to decide their destiny.

Two occurrences has forced him to accelerate his plans. The first one was the slow dissipation of the Veil which acted as a barrier between each cycle. Should it fall, all the future cycles would be merged together ending everything and all.

The second occurrence was the appearance of TWO Sons at the same cycle which was unprecedented. One of them had similar strength to him. It was now or never.

Once Johann returns to the agency, a high alert was issued. The director isolated Johann sensing unnatural powers in his arm. He demands to cut it off in exchange of continuing their contract. Johann initially refused but he caved in once one of the director's agents offered to replace his arm with a bio-prosthetic arm which would give a boost his personas in future fights.

After studying the severed arm, the director deducted Johann's current state recalling that one time J tried to ask him about Shapeless Baroness. While he was troubled by it, he chose not to do anything in the meantime. He would only observe J for the time being.

J and his hunters continued to fulfill Requests, further increasing their popularity saving a good number of people from abusive husbands, neglecting parents... etc. They found one particular request that was both disturbing and heartbreaking. The crippled Pixie Naviesh did actually perform the Moon ritual asking the Moonlit Hunters to kill her because she lacked the strength to do it herself. Her elevator room was one of worst experiences the hunters had went through. A reenactment of the event that took the lives of her three sisters and mother while she was trapped watching them burn to death.

Instead of sending her to the director, J ( with the help of Veishu) had a heartfelt conversation with her deterring her from the idea of suicide.

Meanwhile, the relatively irrelevant targets of the Moonlit hunters had garnered the attention of several powerful groups. None were too happy about it. The most powerful of them all, the council of Cairth, has hired the services of a extraordinary and extra-dimensional elf by the name of Jerthal to investigate this commotion. A rogue agent, Jerthal abandoned the director after nabbing a couple of powerful artifacts making him quite the formidable sleuthing and killing machine. He was Cairth's most dangerous man who lived in the laps of luxury after dealing with similar problems without really revealing his true powers. Occasionally, the director would send a handful of agent to get rid of him but the elf was just that good disposing of any potential threat without a trace.

The Phoenix 4.2 gang also took note of MLH but they were dealing with Project. Soon, they will burn it to ground. Some knowledge aren't meant to be learned

J instantly related to her pain talking about the loss of her Foster dad in a similar fashion claiming that he understands her pain but taking her own life would never be the right answer to her problem.

Naviesh retorted saying that she literally has nothing left in the world for her. Sue couldn't stand looking at her maimed figure, no one wants to be her friend, getting bullied by students and teachers alike. To top it off, she is stuck with an abusive foster mother who is in it for disability check wasting it all on herself.

Veishu stepped in, saying that despite all of her hardships. She is a walking miracle for powering through all of this. she shouldn't give up so easily when the future is still ahead of her. He and J even offered her to deal with her abusive foster mom but she refused stating that as cruel as she was, that woman is the only one actually caring for her.

Still not fully convinced, both Veishu and J promised her to help her in the real world. They realise that they were speaking to a notshadow version of herself but if their words are enough to oppress these dark thoughts for a while then it is go time . More on that later.

As the MLH grew stronger thanks to both exploring the moonworld and taking Requests, they were prepared for facing Wrath under the alias of Black Wolf. After paying Paloa enough Makka to teleport them right at the labyrinth.

Unlike Lust, Wrath was waiting for them the moment they entered. A sharply dressed elven woman in a business suit. She greeted them politely inquiring about their business here.

Turns out, Wrath was indeed a primordial shadow, meaning that the real version of her is fully unaware of what was going on here. J wanted to fight right away but he was distraught at insane amount of shadows spawning right away. There was actually zero way for them to defeat this huge number so they were force to sit down and listen to what Wrath had to say.

The Black Wolf wanted one thing only: vengeance. She didn't specify who stating that she really didn't want to hurt the MLH or anyone really as long as they didn't get in their way.

To have an audience with her again, the MLH must beat her four lieutenants by either killing them or taking over their turf. Yep, the whole labyrinth was four crime infested collection of districts for each floor. On one final note, Wrath warned them from the Shotgun demon wandering the floors advising them to run upon spotting it

The MLH tried to explore the first floor but they were soon overwhelmed by the sheer number of shadows forcing them to Moonout.

The boys were stumped. There is no way to advance using brute force only. They had to rethink their approach. J suggested speaking to the White Stag to gain some criminal insight but Kaz rebuffed him saying that it would unwise to involve any of the current gangs fearing some kind of retaliation from Wrath ( real or shadow version). It was already known that the black wolf was using sneaky tactics against the other gangs in hope to start a gang war. No Red, No White Stag, No Horrace and certainly no Vartel.

Through some meticulous search, the MLH had found a way to think like a crime boss: CSP

Cairth State Penitentiaries, a max security prison with tons of famous prisoners. The guy they were going is one Donisio Vaerdis or the 'Slim-Trim' king to some. This fat elf was the undisputed ruler of Gaeleth not too long ago. Gaeleth's council was under his control but this crime boss had eventually lost his grip on the city state when the people had enough, they went through ANOTHER coup de grace to drain the swamp ( literally, Gaeleth is the poorest and the shittiest city state to live in, they have a giant turtle which makes 95% of their gdp).

Donisio eventually fled to Cairth using certain loopholes to get incarcerated here instead for getting Executed back home. However, the years and decades in prison had softened his fat heart, he wrote an autobiography which actually sold quite well. Literally all of its sales had gone to the families of the people he wronged or to the city state itself. Even when he was in prison, he started quite the enterprise from scratch. All of his legally earned pons took the same route. He even tried to get back to Gaeleth for a proper sentence but he became so popular in both city states that said option was basically impossible.

The problem was of course in reaching the guy, his schedule would be probably too crammed for them that or it would take too long to visit him. Kaz bought the autobiography but its content was watered down without any solid experience to learn from. J pulled up his phone and called Ark Bishop, maybe the lawyer could somehow help him?

The man actually agreed to help telling J to come to CSP sometime that week. It felt wrong to lie to the old man who was clearly suffering from some lung condition but it had to be done.

Maq and Kaz convinced him that this was for a school project and they would like to get all the Juicy info straight from the source. He agreed , spilling the beans. Slim-Trim was actually worse than Vartel and the Underdon combined giving them nasty details about his younger self, literally every organizsd crime under the sun was committed by him at some point.

Their knowledge had actually manifested in Wrath's labyrinth with several recruits ready to build the foundations of a new criminal empire. Each MLH had his/her own bonus acting as lieutenants. It was high time to deal with Wrath.

The MLH had gone for all kinds of crimes racking some serious Makka in the process. They encountered the insanely difficult Shotgun demon on numerous time during their criminal career which was almost impossible to scratch. However, they learned that Wrath was absolutely scared of this shadow which would come into play later.

Once all the lieutenants were dealt with, it was time to face Wrath who was in an inverted skyscraper. Her cold exterior has shattered after learning more about her and her past during their exploration as well as some hints from her boys.

True Wrath had engulfed the place in white flames which would slowly consume everyone after a certain amount of time. The MLH were both underleveled and underequipped to deal with her. They did have an ace up their sleeve.

The Shotgun demon.

Problem was: The Shotgun demon was here to kill. J and Kaz were certain if the primordial shadow hits the bucket, the real Black Wolf would die. So in an unexcepted turn of events, THEY were defending Wrath against the new menace fully knowing that they couldn't really beat it.

Moved by their actions, the defeated Wrath decided to buff them during the fight giving the MLH enough time to survive a few rounds of whoop-ass.

Only J and Veishu were barely hanging by a thread. The Dryad was considering a more drastic option when Wrath stepped in, still very much weak, before uttering three words: I forgive you.

The demon was vanquished in a blink, leaving Wrath on her knees with little strength left in her. The director obviously wanted to jail her but J had other plans. He decided to listen what she had to say.

Wrath was None other than Baenyr Violoth, daughter of two gang members working for the infamous White Stag from Nileth. J thought she was talking about Miss Stag but she actually meant her mother.

The White Stag treated her boys fairly but sometimes, people just wanted more. Her parents betrayed her trust organising a small group of people with the same mindset to help them out causing not only some financial losses but the lives of many of her gang in a bust gone wrong including Miss Stag's father.

The White Stag eventually tracked every last one of them in a Pixie farm in Nileth's outskirts forcing her own daughter to blow the brains of everyone who was responsible for her dad's death.

Baenyr , who was 8-9 years old at the time, hid in a closet. She didn't know whether the White Stag had noticed her ( and decided that she wasn't worth the hassle) or not. She watched the big dryad giving a smaller one a Shotgun before blasting their heads off. She was later found by the police being the sole survivor from this massacre where she was eventually adopted by two wealthy billionaires as a 'favor'.

She heard the word favor a lot during her messed up childhood. She initially didn't think much of it until she saw quite the favorable pattern: it seems everyone she dealt with somehow owns her a 'favor' when she was in need of something. This strange power of hers almost made her forgot her painful past until she had a chat with a mysterious figure at park when her adoptive parents weren't looking. He or she reminded the now teen elf from the Shotgun demon and her dead parents urging her to continue the cycle of violence and to avenge her parents.

Baenyr was almost possessed by an insatiable desire to kill the White Stag and her daughter. But first, She wanted some real funds first. An unfortunate accident had took the precious lives of her adoptive parents just in time for her to reach 21 of age. She immediately started to fund several rival gangs under the name 'Black wolf' to make the White Stag's life a living hell, while managing the empire of her adoptive parents who had no one to inherit their goodies. She could have hired someone to whack the Dryad and her daughter....but noooo, she wanted it cold as ice. That sweet,sweet vengeance.

The elf dedicated years and decades of her life to make the White Stag suffer a miserable life. Her distraught was unseen once she learned that the older Dryad had died from untreated lung cancer ( from all the cigarettes she used to smoke to cope with stress) focusing her attention on the real murderer of her parents: Miss Stag.

The younger Dryad was nothing compared to her mother, it became easier to choke the life out of her gang to the point that she decided to leave Nileth all together to escape her fate. The elf decided to lure her into a false sense of security by allowing her to thrive in Cairth for a few years before swooping in.

A coordinated attack on most of Cairth gangs to incite a gang war. That was her plan. Then, she would follow that with a string of accidents for everyone Miss Stag cared for before blasting the Dryad with the very same Shotgun that she used decades ago.

All of this hate had costed so many lives. She was even worse than Lust in many ways. The MLH clearly didn't know what to do, Wrath claimed that she would get away if she surrendered herself to the police, another 'favor' would pop but even if she didn't think about it. Wrath did forgive the White Stag and Miss Stag but she wanted to be forgiven by the Dryad herself even it costed her her life. Though this was beyond a reasonable choice, The MLH had put their faith in Miss Stag to do the right thing in the real world. The Black Wolf promised the MLH to convince her real self to go to Miss Stag the very next day.

J and Maq took the day off preparing for this moment, they also asked red to back them up tomorrow who agreed in his upbeat fashion. The duo both caught the elf ( who had the Shotgun with her by the way) just before she could enter the spice shop. She was confused at first but they assured her that they are one of the stag boys and they will arrange a secluded meeting with the white Stag.

Initially, the Dryad dismissed their claims but when the black wolf revealed the loaded Shotgun in a non threatening manner, a flood of memories had washed over Miss Stag's mind prompting her to take the whole group to one of her interrogation rooms down below.

Once inside , the black wolf explained everything ( minus the mysterious figure and her favor powers) . The Dryad has lost her cool immediately going for the elf's throat with tears running on her cheeks for ruining her childhood and life, taking most joys and turning her to the wreck that she was. Red, J and Maq barely managed to separate the two before trying to convince the Dryad otherwise even if her tormentor had laid her life before Miss Stag.

A chain of well placed words wasn't enough to convince the enraged Dryad. She stated that even if she did forgive her, someone must take the blame. It was perfect timing for Horace to arrive with strangely convenient news: he had just uncovered a plot from Vartel to blame everything that had happened in the past few weeks on her gang.

Still unsure about forgiving her, J reminded Miss Stag about the parents she was forced to kill calling for the cycle of pain to end once and for all with peaceful resolution.

Red cemented this idea by counter blaming Vartel using both of their combined efforts, his dirty move was the last straw. With Vartel out of the picture, the district can breathe once more.

In an unprecedented move, Miss Stag whispered the same words the elf longed for " I forgive you." Both sides airing their regrets and guilt to each other.

Vartel was eventually caught in the Web he tried to spin. He was a small fry compared to the black wolf who signed his demise after a secret round table meeting. It only took them four days to wipe off his influence. With the key figures gone, his boys scattered like rats. The power vacuum was left untouched while the other gangs would recover from their losses.

Ruin was quite proud of the MLH praising them for their near flawless execution. He urged them to use this downtime peroid to reach new heights for the next sin would be harder to deal with. Though their deed was hidden from public eyes, the MLH were content with their accomplishment especially Veishu who grew closer with J after not killing Wrath.

Kaz was very concerned about the mysterious figure AND the favor power the black wolf had mentioned. He wasn't content with the fact that both Wrath and Lust had some form of Moonworld powers at their disposal urging J and the gang to investigate further.

Veishu attempted to go for some divination to gain some inight about this mysterious figure. He was fully aware that the first seeds can't really control what they could see but he did it anyways, Instead of having some vision or a more probable load of nothing , his left eye exploded in its socket ( one more strike for the grieving Miss Yuni btw) leaving him withering on the ground in immense pain. An all Dryad ambulance crew had arrived at the scene making sure to somehow treat him without taking off the mask ( they had to cut a small bit around the eyehole of his mask though so they wouldn't violate their stupid tradition.)

Veishu actually recovered in a single week. Everyone had some kind of a present for the Dryad at the hospital with the added chance of seeing other first seeds and some of his brothers and sisters who chose to abandon this nonsense. In his own words, this particular vision was 'blocked off'. It was then when the MLH realised that they were dealing with a very dangerous opponent that didn't to reveal him/herself, that was the only logical explanation. Veishu said that he felt useless for not managing to see through this vision but the whole gang dismissed his fears supporting him even further.

One thing that J didn't share was the tiny trail of stats pouring out of his empty socket after checking the Dryad with his empyrean eye.

As for the black wolf, She was the last unexpected visitor to Veishu since she wanted to speak with J and Maq. The elf immediately offered millions of pons on one of those prototype eye prosthetics but the Dryad refused her kind offer. She turned to Maq and J asking them for anything in their mind. Maq whispered something in her ear that she refused to spill it out to gang while J had only one thing in mind: getting back to Yerth before 4/4.

The elf was more than happy to provide him with a lot of funds in a flash. J COULD have asked for more but he isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. She returned to Nileth for a 'big restoration project '.

Note: all previously mentioned events happened before/after each other or even at the same time.

Meanwhile, both J and Veishu were trying to befriend the pixie as part of their promise to her notshadow self. It worked out great initially but things had gone off rails when she had found her true calling: a MLH fan. Yes, the MLH were having a good start in the eyes of the public but her fixation was a bit on the unhealthy side.

After dealing with Wrath, Johann had this crazy idea that was further reinforced by his two new empyrean powers ( Expeditions: once a week, he could grant a single MLH to go to the MW by themselves without relying on his powers and The flash which caused very short term memory loss. The second ability was actually a C.B gift from Laedras ).

His idea revolved around finding a cool and peaceful spot in the MW and taking Naviesh with them before using his new powers on her to keep their secret. He knew that about Maq and Kaz would outright refuse and so he kept the idea between him and Veishu. The Dryad initially refused but the loss of his eye gave him a new perspective on things.

The two made a small investment with Paloa who had created the perfect illusion for said occasion. The next part of their master plan was Juilan who had just the right mysterious outfits for them as an extra layer of precaution.

It was hilariously easy to convince her to come to the sanctuary with them asking her to close her eyes while they changed their clothes, the whole plan was really stupid but it somehow worked?

The two were overjoyed when they saw her having the best time of her life. Paloa took several extra step to make it an unforgettable experience. He didn't count the intruder who was about the crash this party

Jerthal was disappointed to meet the MLH and the cripple they brought along saying that he didn't expect his contract to be a bunch of kids, he was pretty straightforward with his intentions before and after killing them. He also just loved to talk about himself a lot bragging about being smart enough to leg it to the current cycle when the daughter of none that would become Shapeless Baroness screwed up big time when dealing with Ruin.

His hatred was very clear towards The Director who obviously had enough resources to save his cycle but he didn't so it was a no brainer for him to steal a nice collection of artifacts that essentially made him the strongest only being topped the gods of the universe. He said that the council only wanted the leader alive, the rest are expendable. The elf made fun of their lame suits thinking that this part of their gig before suddenly closing distance in unmatched speed.

Johann erected his persona right away only to for it to vanish the moment after, same with Providence. Jarthel said that his confirmed kills are so high that he ran out of skin to mark them all. Of course he had the artifact necessary to disable personas.

Not willing to give up, J primed his rifle at Jerthal who was toying with them at this point. The bullet was deflected via a personal shield. Jerthal used a tranquilliser on the Dryad because he didn't want to play games with Providence opting for beating the shit out of J with his bare hands claiming that this was too easy.

The elf barely gave his attention to the pixie who was begging him to stop. He stopped her right in her tracks with a powerful blow to the stomach when her wing(s) were rapidly fluttering which of course indicated some kind of chemical release in the form of pixie dust. His mistake was taunting her by saying that he would finish the job by burning her alive for Interrupting his beating.

Naviesh had a moment of truth, she would never abandon those who gave a meaning to her miserable life ( the burning memories might have triggered her too) calling forth her very own persona*.

Venhasi.

Jerthal was impressed for a second before activating his anti persona artifact once more only to find that it didn't do Jack because Naviesh IS her persona.

Once the MLH became a thing, The pixie fantasised about being one of them to help out people with this ultimate sense of freedom. She grew brilliant wings with some kind of a bio-suit. Boy, she was ready to deliver judgement.

- A wind bio-suit born from the thoughts of Naviesh, allowing her to be very nimble and flexible in and out of combat.
- takes x10 fire damage!
- She has two distinct modes: Deployed and Grounded.
- Grounded: Naviesh can only cast buffs and debuffs using her pixie dust, she is relatively weak in this mode.
- Deployed: Naviesh takes flight to bombard the ever loving taur out of her enemies with powerful wind magic. She can't be targeted or controlled in this mode BUT flight mode would allow an extra party member to join in.
-She is made for expeditions, using her wings to cover great distances. She can also change a lot of outcomes during labyrinth exploration. Unfortunately, she is still to small to reliably carry anyone.

Naviesh fought valiantly against Jerthal who wasn't really prepared for death from above. He did still smack her after exploiting her weakness of fire. Jerthal wasn't somehow affect by the flash from J. He threatened him to turn him into a sock puppet if he using ' twelvenone party tricks' on him again.

Just when all seemed to be going his way, his phone alarm went off which made him visibly sweat. He Moonout-ed after promising the MLH to meet them again in the MW as well as ' not looking for the real you in Cairth... just to keep it spicy'.

J and Veishu gave Naviesh he big explain giving her the chance to wipe off her recent memory so she can live a normal life ( they would still remain her friends though). The pixie refused from the get go, She was thrilled to be part of the gang. If death was waiting for her at the end of this road, she would gladly take it instead of getting back to her mundane and miserable life. The only problem left was breaking it up to Maq and Kaz.

It went down hill from that point with the other two hunters raining hellfire on J being a big dumb dumb and Veishu being too soft hearted. The pixie begged them to give her a chance to prove herself to them. Kaz did what he did best and offered her to conquer Dimve's Gulch by herself. Said area had some really powerful shadows that made the whole gang retreat a while ago not to mention the insane sets of traps there. Kaz probably wanted her to get killed, two birds with one stone sort of deal.

This raised a lot of arguments with J calling Kaz some names while losing his mind. The pixie actually agreed. Do or Die, that was her motto.

While Naviesh was away, the gang discussed their recent findings. Jerthal was another cog in the mystery machine. He was extremely powerful and he would probably hunt the gang down ( Maq raised a fair point about expeditions being really risky with that in mind) . They came into the realisation that he couldn't be the mysterious figure who changed the Black wolf and/or blocked Veishu's vision.

Maq suggested asking white for insta-suits or whatever to hide their identity since moonworlding isn't safe anymore. That would be implemented later with a literal press of a button. The whacky bunny had solution for most problems.

It was getting late. J feared that he had sent Naviesh to her death when she popped right in front of them with one of the most powerful boon they had: A slowly but steady pon generator disguised as a cash register that could be opened once a week.

It was a done deal after that, using the pons from the cash register, the boys threw a welcoming party in Kaz's mansion of all place. This was his way of apologising to her for his initial mistrust. Maq still lack the social experience to make it up for her. The party was lit until Kaz's dad had arrived. He was supposed to have some business outside of Cairth for the weekend.

Needless to say, that man was terrifying despite his calm demeanour. He politely asked everyone to leave afterwards. Full radio silence followed for five whole days before Kaz returned back to Garsis. When asked of what in the actual moon had happened. He would simply dismiss Saif question.

After securing enough pons, Johann travelled back to him city state. He somehow managed to grab Maq with him too during a 3 day state holiday.

He sure missed his tropical paradise a lot. Everything was so colourful and full of life unlike Cairth. Everyone was smiling and living their life to the fullest.

Johann gave Maq quite the tour guide during the first day. He knew all the hotspots with the Zieun-le beach being the most attractive one. It was the first time Maq had gone to the beach for obvious reaaons. The sea-side Hotel they stayed in wasn't half bad either. Overall, they had great time together.

On the second day, the two were surprised from the bank clerk who said the safe has been already emptied a week ago. It turned out that whoever who did that had the same identical key. The clerk didn't want to share anything further with the humans until another clerk who happened to pass by gave him the current address of this thief.... which was actually back in Cairth.

Well, at least he will get to confront this douche. How dare they steal from him? At any rate, this vacation was soured real fast.

Once they returned back to Cairth, the address had led him to Gabiel district ( with the help of Tecig who gave him a ride).

J couldn't believe it when that very same person was looking for him too. Adopted father, Biological father, It didn't matter. They did share the same dad after all...

Wiesthrel or Wes of short. He was the son of J's Foster dad who lived with his mom in Cairth after a messy divorce. This hole in his life prompted him to adopt Johann. Wes was square jawed, hardened cop in his early thirties. He had actually found out about his father's death not too long ago ( his mother died a few years ago from a botched up surgery). He regretted not contacting his old man earlier so he was surprised to find the bank sending him the very same key that J had.

The safe itself had two letters, one for Wes and the other for Johann. Both of these letters had several ways of contacting each other. The old was indeed keeping tabs on the son who hated his guts all this time. The odd written there was how the foster dad felt like he was gonna die soon which made him write the letters in the first place.

Wes saw the childhood he never truly had with his dad. He offered to adopt him after speaking with Miss Yuni about him ( another strike on the poor heartstrings) claiming that while he had zero experience as a father, he will do his damnest to provide a better life for him. No more rent, no more starving every couple of night, a more prestigious school, more recommendation for his Social Status Card... and so on.

J really considered the elf's offer. It was very tempting except for the added difficulty of meeting with his fellow hunters. J had to refuse in the most polite way possible. Wes left his offer on the table promising him to at least cover his basic expenses like rent and so on. In return, he did want J to mature as a person asking him to find any sort of work and odd jobs to erase that freeloader mentality. A visit once a week or so wouldn't hurt,they had a lot of Catch up for each other.

Johann was initially hostile towards Wes but he quickly opened up to him in the following minutes. The elf was a tough nut to crack with a very hard cop mentality that could be sometimes racist but the two managed reach some kind of mutual agreement setting aside their differences.

To Wes, Johann was both the son ( he absolutely hated women from a record of bad run ins with them starting with his mother) and the brother he never had. He wanted to give his life some sort of a meaning or a goal to achieve other than dealing with crooks 24/7.

To Johann, Wes was the last living semblance of his foster dad. He certainly had his looks like a miniature version of him. The financial aspect of this relation was alluring too but not its core for sure. Johann too wished to have any relative. A stepbrother is the closest thing he can get.

J informed the director about Jerthal forcing the director to shed some light on this ex-agent and promising the MLH ample rewards for stalling the elf while he would try to relocate them. The director claimed that it was almost impossible to beat him in a fair fight , the slippery bastard would always have new tricks up his sleeve.

The director spoke with Johann in private, he gave him a reward for surviving the encounter with Jerthal. A small Lockbox meant to ' sever tonguestealers in the land of dreams'

Johann almost dropped his jaw, he *actually* knew about Shapeless Baroness! The Director's warned him of two things: never to open the Lockbox and to be very mindful of his choice because once the Lockbox has served its purpose, there would no turning back.

The Lockbox actually contained a single flower from Nede which enough for the Core to remember her true self before all the horrible events that followed after the Nede wars.

During one of J's visits to SB, He found the Lockbox in his pocket even in this apparent dream. It was the perfect time to open it.

SB recoiled by its very sight, begging Johann not to open it proclaiming that awakening HER will have severe consequences not only on him but his cycles and the ones that will follow but J was sick of her manipulating him, he opened the lockbox the moment after.

J had found himself face to face with the conscience of Keon ( he didn't know her name just yet), her mere gaze was enough to outright kill him had it not been for his valiant persona who gave J enough time to escape before getting absorbed by the core.

Melchiades was no more. He ceased to exist after becoming one with the Core. J had lost his persona for good.

As for SB, she lost most of herself as well. The Core had only been awakened for a few moments and yet it had absorbed most of SB's essence leaving her withering in untold pain. She vowed to make J suffer for what he had done, thus ending their brief relationship with quite the bang.

Back in the real world , J was devestated. He tried to resummon his persona from the velvet workshop but it was really gone. However, he realised that the grip SB had on him was gone. Was this trade off worth it?

J gathered all the MLH for this serious update. Maq was totally oblivious about SB despite her close relation with Ruin while Kaz expressed his concerns about the director accusing him of being the real manipulator here. Naviesh suggested asking Paloa for this malicious entity.
In the end, They all agreed on remaining vigilant for the goddess of Chaos will rain fury upon him in the next few months.

One of the Requests was actually one of several baits carefully crafted by Jerthal who casually had a chat with the MLH before drawing his weapons. He did shed some light on the Core saying that it is in fact the director's mother. That was all the knew.

During the fight, He asked Kaz to join since he reminded him of himself saying that he had ' the true foundations of a merciless killer'. Kaz obviously refused stating he would spent what little time he had in this world with the MLH to defend the world from the encroaching darkness that was Ruin.

The elf's alarm rang again forcing him to leave so soon while teasing the MLH about their future fights.

Well, I am not exactly known for being a good QM but I try. The best way that I can describe myself is that 'ideas guy' with very poor execution. Thank you for your kind words, anon.

As for the Shotgun Demon, It was the manifestation of White Stag ( Mother not Miss Stag) inside Wrath's head. Even she as the owner of the labyrinth could directly deal with the terrifying force that killed her parents. Sadly, I don't have any pictures for her or most of the remaining characters after losing my laptop. If you got any more questions , don't be shy.

After a lengthy recovery, the hotheaded orc had found himself in a very tight spot. He couldn't rely on the cloud minded Miss Yuni who grew more and more distant from him and the rest of the students. J was literally the only guy he could talk with about how messed up with life was.

The hobo orc who kept harassing everyone on the street was actually his drunken dad who lost custody over his son after a long abusive relationship which started when his mother died. If that wasn't enough, his failure of a father owed the Underdon fat stacks of pons. His boys kidnapped and tortured Bogza by pulling off his fingernails as a scare tactic when the orc stole the donation box and tried to pay a fraction of said debt back.

The orc hobo had but few days before the Underdon boys would feed him to the Gyags. J obviously couldn't do taur to stop them ( he tried to coax Bogza for a moon ritual request but the orc was too dumb for it) and so he had to ask Miss Stag for those extra Pons. He was very lucky to speak with her on her birthday, she was feeling extra charitable that day.

With the debt settled, the hobo orc was a free ( but still drunk) man. He STILL asked him for more pons. The man was unbearable and ungrateful who resorted to violence after a heated exchange with Bogza and J.

It was the final straw for Bogza after J took one a solid blow. He was clearly more built than his old man. The Orc ended the fight throwing slurs at the hobo threatening him to call CPD. The old man broke in tears saying that he had lost control over his life and this was the only way he could interact with his son. He asked for forgiveness only to get spat on, Bogza had it with years of abuse shouting from the top of his lungs that he should do everyone's a favor and end his life already.

When the dust was settled, Bogza began to regret his choice of words and actions. His dad , being the huge jerk that he was, was still his dad... nearly everyone in the dorm had no parents or anyone really left for them.

The orc wanted to amend his mistakes but it was too late. The very next morning, the hobo orc who roamed the streets constantly being a nuisance to everyone was found dead after hanging himself using his belt and a plastic bag for extra measures.

No one cared obviously, why would they? Good riddance, they thought. Miss Yuni was beyond caring at this point, she didn't say anything to Bogza even when she knew about their relation. J tired to be supportive but there was little he could do to ease the immense guilt born from a reckless moment.

Rtiza was a handicapped centaur who opened a small restaurant in Yerth a few months before J's arrival to Cairth. This Rtiza wanted to promote authentic centaur dishes but he didn't really gained any traction according to J since centaur cuisine is very alien and bizzare compared to other elfoid cuisines.

Much to his surprise, not only did Rtiza branch out in other city states but also the brilliant mam managed to take over already famous and established names in the market in such short time span too. Other fast food chains simply couldn't compete with him.The gang wanted to try this hotness right away.

The MLH immediately fell in love with these strange dishes with the exception of Kaz who refused to eat due to his delicate stomach and escalating illness. The food itself was extremely cheap AND the offers were the cherry on top. The gang practically ate at Rtiza on daily basis. Some analysts claimed that despite his spontaneous success, Rtiza was losing money thanks to the pricing and the marketing as well as paying his staff quadruple the amount they would make elsewhere. Rtiza himself had answered these speculations live on TV claiming that 'Pons were never his endgoal, I just want to spread happiness around. '

Things were getting more serious with this particular group. Judge Cidgeth had personally attended several private events commending all the goodness his group had made across several weeks. He was perhaps too transparent when it came to discussing delicate secrets that should only belong across his peers. Nevertheless, he asked everyone for peaceful protest against the very system he was part of. Social status was another form of inequality that had no place in the modern world. J was surprised to see some important figures in the midst of the group who assured the judge that they would help to promote and to fund said protests. Judge CIdgeth said that they must raise the awareness of the public via these protests. J had no problem with his wild suggestion so did everyone else....

The protests themselves were mildly successful. Everyone stuck to their original plan but sadly, said only showed true police brutality. On the bright side, anyone who got detained was bailed out the very next day. The media was still unsure about the origin of these protests which baffled J; why didn't anyone snitched on the Judge so far??

Lev went beserk the moment she and everyone heard the hijacked broadcast from this gang claiming that ignorance was a bliss and they had to interfere to save the whole world against the madness Zoff and Lev were about to unleash.

Her apartment and observatory were on the fire the moment she hurried back to tenfaroo Street. She had lost it, screeching and clawing her face as she had lost her lifework before her eyes.

Minutes later, Zoff had arrived in his limo hoping that he and his team could at least salvage anything from her apartment. The sleazy elf was devestated as well but he poured it all on her claiming that it was her fault to be here in this shitty district instead of a secured lab instead.

Zoff grabbed her by the arm saying that she will never see the light of day again unless she finished 'his' project. When she squealed in protest, he raised his other hand to slap her but Bogza quickly intervened twisting his arm while she got free. She was stunned to see the very same orc who she had bad mouthed in the past jumping first to save her.

No one was expecting him to pull out a gun as he said that he had no problem blowing the orc's brains out stating that he was too valuable for Cairth to be prosecuted with anything. He was untouchable.

He did lower his gun when Gonshak had caught up with the whole situation. He was about to arrest him but he couldn't do taur after his dispatcher relayed the new orders, the police officer did confiscate his gun though.

' Remember our agreement, my sweet pumpkin? My little princess? ' those were the words that made her get inside his limo voluntarily. Lev just vanished without a trace, never to be seen again*.

It wasn't much of a surprise when Ruin called the gang when things were clearly getting out of hand. Literally everyone and their mother had unusual carvings to the new restaurant chain. The food itself was cheap , delicious and healthy but it was extremely addictive. Many refused to eat anything but the ever so popular Zix. Most of the gang were in a pitiful state too , succumbing to this new found addiction. Ruin had little faith in the MLH stating that they had fallen to the sins they were trying to purge.

Their only trump card was Kaz who didn't bother to eat this addictive food. Paloa did confirm that Rtiza had a labyrinth. Time to face Gluttony. But first, Kaz suggested some ground investigation first before jumping into the unknown.

They gathered some info about the centaur. Apparently, his popularity surged mere days after he sold his original restaurant when he declared bankruptcy which didn't make a lick of sense. Be it sheer luck or otherwise, Rtiza did plan a worldwide tour visiting his blooming businesses. He just so happened to be in Cairth.

Using Naviesh's disabilities as a way to cut in line, the pixie made it through a swathe of reporters pestering the centaur for questions. His heart instantly melt when she said that he brought joy to her life and she wanted to thank him personally ( she wasn't lying though). Rtiza was crippled as well ( no functioning hind legs from a birth defect) so he understood what she had gone through.

Surprisingly, the centaur was pretty legit. He did want to spread happiness. His words were kind and he even gave her a lifetime supply of her favourite meal just for the sake of it. The gang couldn't wrap the idea of him being a labyrinth owner around their heads.

Gluttony's labyrinth was a gigantic dinner table with several platters of food on full display. They were mere ants in comparison which didn't bode well for them. Gluttony himself was on the far side of the overseeing their non existent progression toward him with a wide uncanny smile on his face. Every couple of dishes formed their own theme and floor.

The MLH were useless both in exploration and combat. It was up for Kaz to carry the whole team ( again) but even he couldn't outbest the onslaught of shadows by himself

Just when they were about to bite the dust, someone joined in the battle with a very powerful persona bathed in gold ending the fight in mere seconds. Their savoir also wore an outfit to obscure their identity.

When J asked them the usual questions, the persona user dismissed all of these questions assuring them that they mean no harm and it was imperative that the MLH beat gluttony for this is the first sin to a more globalised effect compared to the previous ones .

Naturally, Kaz didn't trust them but he had little choice in the matter since his teammates were useless and he was sick of babysitting them ( Hunger/bloated mechanics with insta kill if one would reach either sides).

The golden one didn't speak at all as they were getting closer to Gluttony whose smile kept arching more and more. They said that whenever the MLH are about to explore, they would be waiting for them at the nearest RP

The hallmark of the labyrinth was the fight against Gluttony himself at the end of the dinner table. It was by far the hardest Enemy they had encountered since they were fighting a director sized primordial shadow. Only through the combined efforts of Kaz and the mysterious persona did the MLH managed to crack colossal shadow revealing a sobbing centaur inside.

The golden one said that their job is done before vanishing away, refusing to elaborate on their motives and goals in helping the MLH.

As for Rtiza's shadow, it claimed that it 'just wanted to be happy, food is the only thing that can make me happy and wanted by others'

J convinced the shadow that whatever happiness the food brought was fake and too debilitating. Maq supported his claim by showing the shadow its real effect on people with many accidents and unwanted aggression taking place across the world claiming dozens of lives in a matter of weeks.

The shadow swore that this wasn't his true intention. Kaz went straight for the main question of how did Rtiza managed to create something so addictive in such a short span of time. The shadow said that Rtiza was about to end it all after his bankruptcy by throwing himself from the Yebbe bridge in Yerth at one foggy morning when he heard someone saying the following:

' Do you want the true ingredient of happiness? Close your eyes and imagine its taste...one last time.'

Rtiza briefly recalled his mother's soup which probably kept his spirit up during his miserable childhood. Not a second later, the same soup bowl was waiting for him next to his Hooves!

Soon enough, the centaur was racking insane pons while delving in his true passion. Not only could he simply conjure food from thin air using his wild imagination but also anything he cooked would taste marvelous. It was only a matter of time until someone noticed his stand. A small food company, then a bigger one and finally Foodico, a Yerthian corporation with millions of pons at hand.

Rtiza despised making too much profit, it sucked the soul out of his passion. He only wished for the decision makers to share his same vision which was apparently enough to change their minds. He discovered that his food related thoughts could change reality itself! The centaur realised how dangerous his thoughts could be so he only used it one more time turning every dish made in any restaurants he owned ( he quickly found himself on the very top of Foodico in short notice) into a well of happiness regardless of the chef's skill or the ingredients used.

Despite the loss of potential profit, Foodico was reaching new heights with Rtiza on top. However, the centaur's head was so far in the skies that he couldn't see the problems he was slowly causing that affected millions of lives in one way or another

The primordial shadow had agreed with the MLH to set things right thanking them for showing him the right way. It wasn't long before all the restaurants had closed with Rtiza turning himself in for adding ' experimental additives ' to his dishes.

The Foodico Fiasco was one of the worst flops in history with thousands filing for lawsuits across the world. A certain Judge was so envious of Foodico's success that she was willing to spend a third of her liquid cash to buy the corporation...that was mere hours before the announcement was made.

As for Rtiza, He was lucky to be trialed in Yerth where execution was outlawed. A lifetime sentence didn't bother him so much. He used his powers once more to ruin the 'evidence' he planted in his restaurants so no malicious companies wouldn't get their hands on it promising himself not to use it ever again.

Foodico had made so much pons that the only lost three quarters of their profits when everything was said and done. It took only a few hours for the addiction to wear off. Everything was back to normal.... for now.

Jerthal made his usual appearance during their time in Gluttony's labyrinth. He lost his composure for a second when he saw the golden one with them. He instantly chose to retreat on an account of 'having a bad stomach '

After Gluttony's defeat, Jerthal showed up as usual for a whole different reason. He just wanted to talk with the MLH for a change. He started his conversation by thanking them for beating Gluttony since he couldn't really get rid of his addiction using any of the artifacts he had.

After that, Jerthal warned them about the golden one. He said that he crossed paths with her at the end of his cycle and she nearly killed him ( back when he was an agent for the director) and the person who would become Shapless Baroness.

Jerthal also spoke of the nature of her persona bathed in gold. He said ' I have seen my share of personas, this one isn't right. Not born from anyone's imagination...certainly not hers at the very least'

J brought up the case with Maq and Mouten to the discussion but Jerthal shot down his suggestion saying that this persona was artificial in nature, made up and not organic in its origin.

Finally, the elf had a hunch that the real golden one is somewhere in Cairth keeping tabs of J but he couldn't detect her. He raised some concerns by saying that she might go for J next time or when her goals malaligned with his. That's why he gave one of his artifacts that should enhance J's empyrean eye abilities allowing him to detect the golden one if she was nearby.

In return, Jerthal promised the MLH to lay off their asses for a month if he managed to find her. Kaz said that they could team up with this powerhouse once more and beat his ass , nothing was stopping them from doing so anyways.

Jerthal said that he would be up to the challenge even though he wanted to settle the score solo. He warned them about teaming up with her for their own sake because she would stab them in the back the moment they would drop down their guard.

Fearing that this was a set up by the sleazy assassin. The MLH returned the artifact back to the director who was more than glad to safe keep it. He did confirm its original use which was amplifying empyrean eye effects. Turns out Jerthal wasn't lying after all.

If J had trusted him, he would have found the golden one in less than a week....

Throughout the gang's expeditions and what not, J had this feeling that he was being watched. Everytime he would turn his back , he would find nothing.

J asked Naviesh to lag behind for a bit in hopes to catch that sneaky stalker. The pixie reached for the skies keeping an eye on the MLH. It wasn't long before she found a flickering red silhouette following the gang while phasing in and out of existence every single second.

The red ghost ,as the MLH called it, would disappear right away not leaving any chance for the gang to interact with it. The only solid lead they had on this ghost was the elven gibberish it muttered, that's it.

J didn't fully recovered from the loss of his persona. Sure, he had his Moonless form as well as other personas but they weren't the same.

During their moorland exploration, they stumbled upon one of Maq's brothers : Osdolo Movi who was actually invisible. Maq spotted him thanks to his stench that she could only smell.

Osdolo was a medium sized greasing furball with too many spindly arms to count, all of the had little eye beads. Maq warned the other about his insane love for makka, he would sell his mother ( if he had one) for a single makka given the chance. He did offer J some premium shadows that he wouldn't find them anywhere at exorbitant prices. He eventually set up shop at the velvet workshop after White's approval.

Movi did have a very powerful artifacts he simply called 'the hole'. It worked in a similar fashion like the agency's elevator except it could take you waaay in to the first cycles and even to whatever lied beyond that point. The only downside was the passive experience from going in the hole because if J set a foot outside of the safe space, he would instantly die.

The price for operating the hole was insanely high as well. No discounts or anything. As for his original persona, Movi shared the location of a tranquil island called Walks-in-pearls where Dyadidaud had created a spot for him/her to mediate. Someone of J status could break in...not like Dyadidaud was still using it.

Said island had a trove of memories stored in iridescent pearls, it gave J some insight about this mysterious fellow ( allowing him to continue reading the lamentations of Dyadidaud) as well as the 'schematics' for advanced persona grinding. There were many more secrets remaining in the island, J had only scratched the surface.

>A new guardian, Miss Yuni 's heart stroke

Due to a multitude of reasons, Miss Yuni's heart had finally gave up. She was looking through some very concerning mails when she had a stroke. J ran to Miss Stag while others had called for an ambulance. Needless to say, his guardian was hospitalised right away. She was in a very critical condition, the doctors said that she only a couple of months to live without a very expensive heart surgery ( 30 million pons) that wasn't covered by her insurance.

Miss Stag did want to help but she couldn't fork out such insane expenses not to mention the thousands of pons needed for her hospital stay and stabilising her condition. J begged Miss Stag to contact the Black Wolf but the elf had seemingly disappeared after their encounter with her. J cursed himself for being so stupid when he asked for trivial stuff when he could have asked the black wolf to take care of Miss Yuni.

If that wasn't enough, Miss Yuni was DROWNING in debt, raking over 3 million pons already as she was trying to give everyone decent living standards. The only reason she wasn't rounded up by CPD was her late father who managed a branch of one the banks in Cairth. By default, he had the privilege of borrowing up to 50 million pons. This privilege was passed down to his daughter when he died.

However, that didn't mean the bankers were gentle souls. They were far from it as the interest would gradually increase the higher the debt. Currently, it stood at 0.7% per DAY. Naviesh and Kaz made some calculations and found out that she had about three to four more months before taur would hit the fan.

In the meantime, two government agents ( Doxxel, a half elf. Medce, Orc) took over the dorm since it was technically funded ( lol) by the government. They offered the students other alternatives to their current situations in which some of the students actually took the offer only to be seen in Garsis afterwards.

Both the orc and the half elf were one of the most strict and heartless people J had ever dealt with. The ran the place like a boot camp ( the orc actually had a military background) . Everything was recorded, rules were everywhere, punishments became a thing. Hell, Every student had a set of 'free slips' per week... if those bad boys ran out, the student would be basically stuck in the dorm with the only exception being going to Garsis and Ella only. Finally, the rent had returned to its original price quadrupling what Miss Yuni had set before. Those who couldn't afford it were banished to the shadow realms of Sanada which should have cheaper accommodations but horrible living standards.

These ridiculous restrictions had made moonworlding quite scarce, the MLH had to make the best out of their time. J heavily considered accepting Wes' offer for adopting him but he couldn't just leave everyone behind.

The protests were gradually growing while retaining their peaceful intentions despite the aggressive response from the police. Behind the curtains, The Judges were dealing with external threats. Despite Judge Cidgeth's desire for peace, the city state of Nileth had officially cut diplomatic ties with Cairth as well as all economic trade deals. They have been amassing their arsenal and drilling their armed forces as well as extracting petroleum from Cairth's side.

These clear signs of aggression had stirred in motion after their withdrawal from a long territorial dispute with Cairth. Furthermore, Nileth had been improving its political standing with other city states which bore little love for Cairth.

The writing was on the wall , an invasion would occur in the very near future. The Judges had different thoughts about this problem, some wanted to gather their own allies for this conflict. Others wanted to engage in defensive war relying on slow attrition to wear down Nileth which mostly relied on infantry. Few wanted to take the fight to Nileth in a quick one two punch knockout with surgical air strikes, well planned state-wide sabotage to their infrastructure and what not.

It was clear that the Judges were not agreeing with each other.

The recent protests were suspicious in its sudden onset. It was no secret that Nileth had employed their fair share of spies, some of which had been embedded for over two decades in critical positions. Judge Oriestinor wanted to blame anything on Judge Cidgeth , he could be a Nilethian asset instigating these protests. However, all of her well trusted spies and informants couldn't find a speck of dirt on him. She even sent undercover agent to infiltrate this growing fan club of his and yet they said that nothing was out of the ordinary. Just some fangirls and boys ( with a sizeable elven majority) drooling over Judge Cidgeth. They had enough evidence to prove their claim.

The first sword had a hunch that Judge Cidgeth was somehow involved. She warned him that she would put him to the sword if she even sniffed a hint of him destabilising Cairth. His response was...

' Of all Judges, I dread to face your rapier, Judge Vanasgreth. For I hold you and your ideals in great regards. Pray, let us never think of this possibility for reasons I can not share.'

His words had made him even more suspectable, he spoke like a true coward trying to hide his true intentions like so. This would be their last meeting where they would exchange words instead of something else....

Ruin had an impromptu meeting with the MLH about the Veil which was degrading at an alarming speed, the gang could literally see tears in the skies leading to infinite cycles. These tears weren't like the tiny pinpoint one J saw when he was walking Miss Khakigg's pet lizard... these rifts could fit a whole bus in them.

Ruin was on edge saying that they were running out of time. He personally believed that if all sins were indeed purged, the veil could be mended. The veil was the only thing keeping the cycles together, without it, they would clash in one big chaotic mess.

Kaz seriously doubted his doom and gloom asking Ruin why wouldn't he just repair it since he is the god of order. Ruin said that he could no longer remember how to do so which was a lie since he hadn't attempted to fix it.

As for their next target, Ruin said that Sloth would be their greatest adversary solely because of these rifts which would amplify its powers.

J wished he could have listened to SB's opinion on the matter since Ruin was starting to lose bits of himself too with slightly incoherent sentences and demands but that door was long closed.

One of the drawbacks of rift was the insane amounts of artifacts that might have dropped from other cycles. The Agency was doing their best to retrieve said items in the hush hush which proved to be difficult. Many were already experiencing litte headaches and dizziness from the rift chalking it up to Moondust but that excuse wouldn't add up for the long run.

The director had another private conversation with Johann. Without delving in too much details, the director said that the Veil was made from the souls of 'the ancient ones' whom he , Ruin and Shapeless' core belonged to. So in order to actually fix the veil, there are three potential solutions to this problem...

-Sacrifice
Only few powerful souls could repair the Veil by expending their souls in the process. This solution wasn't optimal but it would at least allow a set amount of cycles to exist. The more powerful that person was, the more cycles will exist. When asked why wouldn't he do it, the director stated that no one but him could keep all of these artifacts in check and he wasn't going to surrender his duty to some bloke who might accidentally merge all cycles with a single button.

-Deicide

Simple enough, kill a divine being and their soul would fill in the gaps, the more the merrier of course but there was a glaring problem with said suggestion: taking on the mantle. The Laws of all dictate that there must be a God of order and a God of Chaos. There was no telling what would happen upon taking this role. This hadn't been tried before so the director claimed ignorance about the matter. It was theoretically possible with enough firepower given their current pitiful state. Divinity would always have its price, said the director.

-Forced Marriage

It was the same concept described by Shapeless except instead of being a flesh puppet, you actually take control over the god you had merged with. This feat would be possible via the most destructive weapon he and a certain someone had made. They feared its true power so they broke it to many pieces before scattering them across many cycles.

The director said that only the most powerful souls could wield such a weapon without having a marriage with the weapon itself. He said that wiped his own memories regarding its location but he was willing to give J a tool to help him in this endeavour ( more on that later)

Marriage is by far the best solution because a new power will be born anew with limitless potential capable of weaving realities and becoming a true divine in its prime.

-True Marriage

A pipe dream but it was worth mentioning. True Marriage can be either between Ruin and Shapless' core or between one of the two gods and a powerful soul ( with their consent this time). The result would be much better compared to forced Marriage.

On one final note, the director claimed that there might be other ways to repair the Veil that he wasn't aware of. If he could find the Elusive Dyadidaud, He might have a better chance in finding them.

J's new tool was the eye of the dead which allowed him to extert further control over the 'boundless levels' of the elevator which functioned in a similar fashion to Movi's hole but instead of being a mere observer , J could actually step outside of the elevator. He wouldn't be able to interact with anything directly however , he could use the eye of the dead to detect whether a piece of this marriage weapon was in this cycle or not.

Needless to say, J was too adamant on bringing all the pieces by himself. He made the wrong choice of not telling the gang about his private conversation with the director but promised himself to do the right thing at the end, no matter the cost.

>Sloth's labyrinth and reveal

The gang had no clue who Sloth was, they didn't really have any effect on the real world and there wasn't really any time to waste so the only solution was to cough up tons of Makka for Paloa to divinate the labyrinth.

Sloth's labyrinth was...weird. It was a decrepit stone castle mostly swallowed by sand and what seemed to be hundreds of dead knights with cracked screens for a head? Huh?

The floor itself was distorted , Kaz and J almost fell to their deaths had it not been for Naviesh who caught them in time. Glitches were literally everywhere, from wire maggots festering dead knights to the ever so dangerous 'Amalgamites'

These weren't your typical shadows, they weren't born from thoughts and imagination only. No, they had some *physical* component as well according to Maq. The Amalgamites were extremely lethal, capable of two shotting the whole party, they were also fond of stealing precious item, integrating them into the future iteration of themselves. They were both evolving and adapting to the MLH who couldn't make that much of a push. Finally, all of the MLH actions were narrated by a spiteful and a corrupted voice painting them as 'the villains'. The gang had to retreat eventually. This was too much for them. Something wasn't right with this labyrinth, it was very unstable according to Maq.

As they had returned back to the realworld. J was horrified to spot one of the Amalgamites hiding in Kaz's phone via his empyrean eye, slowly but surely sending precious info throughout a very tiny hole in their sanctuary leading to the Moonworld.

Kaz destroyed his phone without a thought but that thing was still there, waiting for an opportunity to leech into another electronic device. The Amalgamites were just much like shadows in a sense that their powers were severely diminished in the real world but that wouldn't stop them from adapting to their new environment. The MLH didn't know any way to either contain or kill the Amalgamites in the real world. None of them had enough brain power to deal with this stuff. If only Lev was here....

After great debate, the MLH had decided to abandon their sanctuary.

The Amalgamites were a disease, spreading all over the Moonworld as well as the real one throughout these rifts. They burrowed themselves in any electronic device they could find, constantly sending information back to Sloth's labyrinth to self evolve. No where was truly safe from these bastatds.

Luckily, they were mostly docile, in the real world. They didn't do much save for a few bugs here and there. The tech companies couldn't do taur to wipe them off. That was to be expected.

As for the new sanctuary, it was temporary relocated to Kaz's mansion since both his brother and father had travelled to another city state.

J accidentally stumbled upon the father's study room while he was searching for a bathroom. He just couldn't help him and he skimmed through the elf's memoirs. Kaz said that his dad was a biologist. What was the worst thing that guys could have had?

Turns out, there were a lost of dark secrets in there. Kaz's moon glands... they were extracted by his father shortly after birth so he could run some experiments on his very own son. J couldn't continue reading as he heard some footsteps coming his way.

J chose not to tackle this subject any time soon. He shouldn't have satisfied his curiosity anyways.

The next couple of excursions were a complete failure as the Amalgamites were countering every trick in the book. They also began to corrupt normal shadows in the Moonlands turning them into even more Amalgamites.

Much like last time, the golden one had saved the day during one sticky situation. As the J approached her , she immediately collapsed on the glitchy floor. Her 'persona' was overly protective of her but it would soon disappear since J wanted to help. She had been shot with something malicious which kept exuding black ooze from the wound. No amount of healing could save her. They had to teleport to Paloa in hopes that he could save her.

He couldn't really do much to her, Laedras was next but she wasn't interested in helping them ( she did say that the golden one was an exotic cutie that she wouldn't mind to wear as a skin suit. She memory wiped the MLH after this tongue slip afterwards).

Neither White nor Movi were that helpful either. Kaz said that there was nothing they could do but J refused to give up. He remembered the last living soul of the Moonworld: that masked kid with the crazy rifle... maybe he could help?

Naviesh scouted the Moonland far and wide until she miraculously found him. He was in a little fortress with a LOT of traps. The gang explained the situation and he begrudgingly allowed them to enter.

Maq immediately sensed one of her siblings in the area but she couldn't find them. The kid, who called him Qekka, was a survivor through and through. He knew how to deal with taur like that.

Qekka asked for a generous amount of Makka first before anything because ' his rifle is getting hungry' . He cleaned the wound before applying a special salve which cause a glowing black bullet to crawl out of the wound.

Qekka immediately warned everyone not to touch it so it would die on its own. This wasn't an Amalgamite but rather a living artifact which is weak on its own. Give it time and it would sap everything from its host...power, vitality, memories. Clearly whoever who wasted such a powerful artifacts was either too weak to face her directly or too much of a sadist who wanted her to suffer greatly before withering away...or both?

Qekka claimed that She should regain her strength in time but he wasn't sure about her memories. The wound had closed itself after some rifle magic ( the kid rubbed it against her belly for a few seconds). He promptly kicked them out of his fortress asking them not to bother him again.

With the gang being nearly out of time, they had no choice but to Moon out with the golden one. It wasn't ideal since the golden one could turn into a blob in the real world but they couldn't leave her in the moonworld like so.

Upon their arrival , the suit she had was gone revealing her true identity...

Confused and Befuddled, Julos was surrounded by strange people in unknown place. The gang slowly calmed her down before the big explain. She initially didn't believe them but as she was about to roll over the couch, her persona gently held her . This was totally unprecedented, how could she summon her persona in the real world????!

She called her persona Al-Ebyiurm... that was only one of the few things she could recall. The other thing was this goal she was hellbent on doing which she could not remember. It was driving her crazy. Jerthal was the last thing she had in mind. She said that she had the upper hand and was about to finish him off if he hadn't pull this cheap shot.

Since Julos wasn't her actual name , they didn't know where was her address. She didn't have anything on her. The fan club was disbanded just a few days ago so they couldn't go through any records or something like that.

For now, she was willing to help the MLH while she slowly regained more info about her past self. Kaz offered her to stay in his mansion for the Time being while they would search for her true identity. They feared that Jerthal could be able to track her down if she went to police for identification.

Julos ( Al-Ebyiurm, Reverse Judgement)

- A mysterious 'persona' user who is slowly regaining her strength and memories.
-Starts at level 1 with her persona having no skills or magic, can not gain exp, can not change equipment, can't be controlled in battle
- Certain actions in the MW will slowly allow her to regain her strength ( like having her in the party, expeditions, boss fights...etc) , she would regain levels and relearn skills and magic.
-She is the only character who could break the 99 level limit and stats. She has relearn any skill or magic without the whole 8 moves restrictions
- Julos is an all-rounder with no specific role allowing her to be very flexible in combat
-Her persona will always start with random affinities ( at least 1 weakness, 1 absorb and 2 resistances)
- Certain actions in the real world ( some are gated by CB ) would allow her to regain her memories.

Al-Ebyiurm was capable of wiping off Amalgamites which was a moonsend to the gang. Bolstered by a new hunter, J and the boys entered Sloth's labyrinth. The struggle was still there but as Julos was getting stronger, things became a lot easier.

The Amalgamites were perhaps evolving at very fast pace. Some couldn't keep up with this evolutionary race deteriorating away. The labyrinth itself grew more and more unstable with the narrator losing its mind the closer they were to the heart chamber. Themes kept interchanging, abandoned castle, grassy hills, slums, bloody streets...Sloth couldn't keep a single coherent idea in check.


On rare occasions, they would spot the red ghost who indirectly acted as a distant guide to the MLH. It didn't react to their presence, it would vanish after the MLH would deal with special Amalgamites who would whisper things like:

' I wish I wasn't born'
'Why me?'
' The world will forget me'
' I don't want my ashes to remain'
' No one loves me'
' Golden Goose, Golden Goose...'

After many trials and tribulations, the MLH had reached the only stable zone in the labyrinth fighting the most bizzare primordial shadow they had ever encountered....

The heart chamber was disfigured lovechild of old dusty catacombs, a laboratory and a blender who mixed them together. Both themes had occupied the same space, bones and lab papers were floating in the air, explosions were frozen in time. Nothing made sense.

In the heart of this mess, a royal tomb was the source of all Amalgamites as they kept pouring out of tiny slits only to be sucked upwards to the upper floors of the labyrinth ( some did stay during the boss fight though) . The tomb had a pulsating wire made from flesh , skin, lab coats and other trash which was to the primordial shadow... a giant grotesque abomination in a blue tattered suit which was hanging on the ceiling this whole time, it shrieked loudly before descending upon the MLH.

' MyyyyYyYyyy GoooldEN GoOoSE, MIIINNEE!!! ' It cried. This disturbing image kept shoving Amalgamites in its maw every couple of hits. Eventually, Sloth went down after one hell of a fight.

Their victory was short lived however since the Amalgamites kept coming and Sloth just got back up as if nothing had happened. This happened a few times, Even Maq's demon form wasn't enough.

Sloth eventually swallowed the tomb to become truly invulnerable as Kaz had the idea of cutting the wire connecting the tomb to Sloth. All seemed to be hopeless until Julos unleashed an attack she wasn't aware that she had, it wasn't Moonless or physical or any of the elements. Whatever it was, it gave J enough time to cut the wire.

Sloth was broken down in an instant which made J panic right away since he feared that they might have accidentally killed Sloth...that wasn't the case because of two very good reasons:

-The labyrinth hadn't collapsed just yet
-The Amalgamites were coming out of the tomb in full force.

The next course of action was to open the tomb and see what or who was inside. It took the combined efforts of the whole team to remove that slab. Their eyes widened as they saw the person inside....

The elf was emaciated, her tears frozen in their place. How could Lev be Sloth? She was unresponsive as the Amalgamites were literally pouring out of her eyes. They were basically an endless stream which intensified even further with each passing moment.

Julos gave the MLH a small breathing room while they would figure out what to do since ALL of the Amalgamites were congregating at this exact spot.

Kaz draw his rapier saying that the Amalgamites must be stopped at all costs, the real Sloth was must die with them since they couldn't wake her up , they also couldn't Moonout to save themselves even if they wanted to.

J outright refused which had sparked a moment of tension between them. Kaz managed to elbow J just in time to raise his weapon for one final thrust.

A gentle hand had stopped him, It was his persona who pointed at the red ghost. Each step it had reshaped itself to resemble Lev until it merged with the elf.

The Amalgamites were wiped off in a blink. The labyrinth didn't collapse, rather it changed forms shrinking down in size to resemble Lev's apartment.

Lev slowly woke up, She was aware that she was in the get go and boy did she has a lot of explanation for the gang.

Lev had to start way back. Her childhood was foggy but she recalled having to move around a lot with her 'family' which turned out to be some die hard loyalists. She spent her childhood soaking up books since she was prohibited to have any contact with pretty much anyone since she was a ' princess'. And princess she was, for she was the last living descendant of the Low King of Cairth. The Loyalist hoped that she could lead them to a glorious counter revolution but that dream was cut short when Zoff was in picture.

He was low researcher with little pons to his name who just happened to live next one of the Loyalists' safehouses. He overheard their plans across many months and claimed ignorance when he occasionally dealt with them as a neighbour. When Lev arrived to said safehouse, he would slowly gain her trust by giving the Loyalists candies for her. One day, his boss was infuriated with one of those trick equations that claimed that ' even kids could solve it' , Zoff alongside every member of his team couldn't solve it. They simply believed that it was rigged. To satisfy his curiosity, Zoff wrote the equation down and gave it to Lev who was used to him by now ( same with the Loyalist) as an unfunny joke to prove that this boss was right.

Lo and behold, Lev managed to solve it twice. First time was with a much convoluted method while the second one was more refined and streamlined. It was this point when Koff knew that he had found his golden goose

The first step was to get rid of the Loyalists. That was... surprisingly easy to pull off. It took him a single well timed call for CPD to show up in the middle of the night. He knocked on their door claiming to be a Loyalist himself from another cell ( he did his homework while planning all of this) warning them of a heavily armed raid , he also claimed to be a sliver fox ( code for a Loyalists lookout).

As the sirens were getting louder, he promised the Loyalists to lead the girl to another safe house he made up. The Loyalists had little time for fact checking so they sent one of their own with him along with a very sleepy Lev while they would hold the police off in the meantime.


Zoff, Lev and a female Loyalist had drove away from the scene. The elf had made a passable map marked with the codes they would use for safehouses. The Loyalist unknowingly drove to the outskirts when Zoff twisted his knife in the back of her head while covering her mouth 'sssh , don't wake up mu golden goose'

Zoff preceeded to dump both the car and the body in the river. Cairth was suffering from a flood at the time so it would take them a while to find the body. Not that the police would care for a filthy Loyalist.

He carried the half awake Lev to a nearby hotel where he would continue the next steps of his plan. Most of the Loyalists were dead and gone by then thanks to their carelessness and him ratting them out.

Through forging some papers here and there, Zoff had adopted Lev, otherwise, she would have slipped from his fingers. Next up: An IQ test was in order, she was proven to be a certified genius in such a young age topping off many notable figures at the time.

The elf would slowly feed Lev some of his work only to take credits afterwards. Soon he replaced Boss and his Boss' Boss. Young Lev was so happy to get to know her dad's co workers and live a much happier life as Zoff constantly showered her with 'love' and gifts to keep his golden goose laying those precious eggs.

As for the remaining Loyalists, they were devestated from the massacre at the safehouse believing that Lev was killed with the rest because the government had a track record to kill any bluebood on sight.

With enough pons at hand, Zoff became more paranoid of some Loyalist snatching his golden goose so he has hired bodyguards to his house. Eventually, Lev became a shining star in the world of astrology that had outshined her father. Zoff was okay with that as he had focused more on more managerial work instead.

It was on a fateful day that some Loyalist was found circling around their home. Zoff had his men bring him to the basement where he beaten the shit out of him. Lev was supposed to be upstairs watching her favorite show but she was curious about why her dad isn't watching it with her. She overheard the dark truth about her past and watched Zoff putting a bullet in the Loyalist's head.

One thing had lead to another and Zoff had found himself almost choking the life out of her. he stopped himself a the last second to warn her about her reaching for anyone. Lev was 12 at the time, She was aware of what both Zoff and the government could do to her.

From that point onwards, Lev had lived in a cage of made of fear and loneliness. Her life was shattered into pieces with the only semblance of comfort using her as his precious golden goose.

Zoff had maintained a superficial relation with her afterwards. He had mixed thoughts about her joining Garsis academy but he needed every bit of edge in the Lunis project so as long as she produced results, he was fine with it.

Back to the present day, Lev did detect some strange extra dimensionsal particles ( she didn't know MLH were a thing back then). That was why she moved all of her research and equipment right next to where the sanctuary way because J's Mooning in and out did leave some bread crumbs for Lev to follow.

She did more than just that... although she tried to explain what actually happened to the gang in more scientific terms, Lev eventually gave up and oversimplified the whole process.

Basically, she hijacked J's Mooning in using highly unstable and makeshift device since she wanted to keep her findings to herself so Zoff wouldn't take all of credit again. She certainly didn't expect to actually get teleported to the Moonworld.

Her first trip to the moonworld was roughly during Lust's labyrinth. She found herself in a bizzare realm where logic and sanity were thrown out of the window. She was... stranded for a while. Her thingamajig couldn't actually return her back to the real world, it could only hijack J's power that she wasn't aware of at the time. She would simply had to wait until J would Moon out again.

While her device did spit her out a random location, she wasn't too far from J's spot. Unfortunately, Shadows were drawn to her presence. Her pepper spray wouldn't do much here. She was done for.

That would have been the case if Qekka wasn't nearby, he killed some and scared off the rest with his rifle. He was curious because she didn't have any power unlike the jerks who stole his Makka rope.

The two sat down and exchanged their stories and past. Qekka was still a kid at the end, he longed for someone who could talk to. Lev , on the other hand, was fascinated by him and this world . Her usual quirks melted away when she spoke with him. Qekka was a little bit of a tech wizz which potentially increased his chances of survival...well, his rifle did also prevent him from aging as well as adding few favorable perks he wouldn't disclose.

Lev promised him to bring some snacks if she somehow made it back to her world. Qekka had no need for normal food anymore but he would kill to taste something sweet again.

Using his rope, he led her near Lust's labyrinth. She was good to hijack the moon out signal from her. Qekka was on guard until she returned back to her world. Lev obviously knew that no one would believe her so she didn't bother telling anyone about. It was her little secret like a child with a new toy who refused to let anyone touch it.

The elf was certain that the garage was the source of Mooning in. She almost wanted to break it one day when the garage door was missing a lock but someone with red spiky hair had already made it inside.

Slowly, Lev began to refine her device which was called ' E.D.T.D' allowing her to Hijack the Moon signals without the randomness factor, Qekka's fortress was her destination every single time. He was someone who could understand her.

Her one last upgrade to the E.D.T.D would allow her to leech some of J's Mooning in/out allowing her to teleport to the other side on her own. Every five or six Mooning jn/out would give her a free ticket to the MW.

The director was silently monitoring the situation, he had enough when she reached that point. He sent his agents to apprehend her which didn't go all too well for Qekka who threatened to shoot the agent if anyone touched her.

Fearing to lose her true friend, Lev de-escalated the situation asking the agents to take them to their boss. The director wanted to confiscatebboth the E.D.T.D and the rifle plus wiping off her memory as an extra measure.

Lev was quite fierce in defending Qekka with words stating that he would literally die without his rifle. As for her, She said that she would be willing to offer him her help with problems he couldn't solve as long as he allowed her to do her thing.

The director dismissed her words initially but he decided to humor her by giving her a busted artifact that could potentially kill her with the simplest of mistakes. He provided her some tools asking her to fix it in a certain amount of time.

The artifact was not only fixed in a record time but it was improved too. The director was quite impressed for she had adapted to foreign concepts in no time. The director decided to gift her said artifact ( A pocket watch which could absorb heat within a small radius) as a reward allowing her to keep her device. In return, his agents would occasionally send some busted artifacts to Qekka's fortress for her to fix. He gave her a stern warning about not doing anything that might compromise the status quo he aimed for in both worlds.

Finally, Lev had found some semblance of normality in an abnormal world. She was truly happy for the first time in a good while.

When her apartment and observatory were burned to crisp, Lev had lost all of possessions including the E.D.T.D. She could have made a new one but she still needed that power in the garage. The thought of losing both Qekka and her only way to the Moonworld caused her to have a meltdown. Zoff would drag her to somewhere far away from the garage, somewhere 'secured' and 'safe'.

09-7DD was an off the record research facility underground. This was her new prison, Zoff both verbally and physically abused her since they basically had to start from scratch. He wanted results and he wanted it now slowly depriving her of both luxuries and basic needs. She was a slave for Zoff.

Lev had succumbed to despair, she had zero chance of seeing her true friend or anyone for that matter. During her darkest hours, she heard a whisper from within.

' Bury yourself. This is the end of line. Bury yourself in dreams of flesh and eyes. Be free from the parasite, Lev. Your tomb is waiting for you on the side.'

Lev said that she had entered this 'state' where her dark thoughts were slowly manifesting before her eyes. They were few and invisible to others, they were Amalgamites. She stopped eating , sleeping or drinking so she could reverse engineer the director's gift. Zoff brushed it off as ' genius drive at work' expecting her to somehow reach a breakthrough in project Lunis. He isolated her lab , only he was allowed he enter.

He was getting concerned when the food he brought remained untouched. Lev was losing weight fast, her gaze was hollow as if she was merely a puppet.

The Amalgamites were directly feeding her knowledge from the stopwatch as well as anything they could get their hands on. Her brain was slowly getting fried at this point but she didn't care, Lev wanted to find her promised tomb and to lie in it.

If Lev couldn't go to the Moonworld, She would bring the moonworld to her. Zoff dropped the food tray on the floor when he found the Monolith Lev had built overnight, it was made from pretty everything that wasn't nailed out.

This Monolith acted as an anchor to force both the two worlds to occupy the same space, it had a glowing red portal on its very top spewing red sand from the other side.Zoff was overjoyed, He kissed Lev while apologising for what he did.

" Excuse me? " The elf turned around to face the near lifeless gaze of his adopted daughter.

Both spaces were merging together , the budding and unfinished Labyrinth of Sloth with her lab. The once invisible Amalgamites were very much real, they latched themselves on Zoff obeying the thoughts of their master. She saw him as a parasite, the Amalgamites merged the two entities together with a twisted wire.

The anchor was destroyed soon after allowing both spaces to be separated or rather the moonworld had swallowed everything that was on said spot.

Back in the Moonworld, Zoff had indeed transformed into a grotesque being sapping most of her powers as Lev was in deep slumber. His thoughts were distorted as he was all too powerful but without a hint of freedom like a true parasite relying on his host for sustenance. Outside of the heart chamber, the labyrinth was in conflict unable to conform to a single idea since it had two owners in a sense. A passive, benign one and an active, malicious one.

Lev's slumbering thoughts of dismay and despair gave birth to an endless army of Amalgamites who had few command lines to follow: protect, evolve, propagate in that order.

They simply made their way to the real world through the rift to resume their orignal function. The sea of madness did produce a fragile thought in the form of the red ghost.

The red ghost was Lev's other self. Her rebellious spirit which was too weak to form a proper persona. It was certainly more intelligent than the Amalgamites but it had much less authority in comparison. It wanted to wake up Lev and force her to face her fears once and for all, that was why it was stalking the MLH slowly goading them to reach Lev.

Lev had a moment of truth with the red as it had finally manifested as Infinus Ateii... her very own persona.

After the big explain, Lev stated that she had no reason to return to the real world. She was assumed to be dead anyways from the ' sudden explosion ' in the underground lab. Lev was the first 'sin' to keep her own labyrinth even after her defeat. The Amalgamites had been pacified as well but they still looked up to their master. She did say that these little guys had crammed a lot of knowledge inside her head so she is a bit flustered about what to do next. It was a shame that she couldn't any more of them. Their messy appearance slowly began to morph into something cute ( from one of her favourite shows, no doubt) , this was but a reflection of her new thoughts.

Lev had decided to stay in her new base of operations. From here , she could remotely help the MLH and the director while searching for a way to fix the veil ( J still didn't tell gang about the private conversation with the director). Ruin was thoroughly impressed of their Handiwork. Another catastrophe averted, the mysterious figure was the only common thing between all sins so far. Who or what was it?

>New Moonlit Hunter ( Lev, Infinus Ateii, Star)

- A very unorthodox persona user who sits in the comforts of her labyrinth while helping her fellow hunters from afar.
- Infinus Ateii can be remotely controlled by Lev acting as an add-on to other party members giving them game changing abilities depending on their persona ( Providence is the only exception)
- Lev can use her remaining Amalgamites to infiltrate future labyrinths as well as auto solving most engimas. Amalgamites could be used to improve weapons and armor.
- Lev could create powerful accessories for the gang. She is a very good navigator allowing the MLH to maneuver easier in difficult areas.
-Qekka would occasionally provide fire support and his signature makka ropes which would allow the MLH to skip floors in the labyrinth.

>Jerthal final warning, the hunt begins

During Sloth's labyrinth, Jerthal had made his usual appearance. He was shocked to see that Julos was alive and well, the elf said that it was impossible for her to survive one of the most powerful artifacts in his possessions.

Jerthal asked the MLH once more to turn on her because she would stab them in the back eventually. J didn't buy any of that taur and lunged forward.

Another battle, Another stalemate. Jerthal promised them to hunt them down in the real world. It wouldn't be too hard for him to find a pixie burn victim...Naviesh was the only hunter that Jerthal had memorised her face. He dipped just mere seconds before the director's hand would drag him to his death. The MLH would soon pay a heavy price in the near future....

One day, J had one unexpected visitor from the Holy Lune. It was none other that Sister Oneytha or Moon Priestess Oneytha. Yep, She had passed their stupid trials and got the title officially but the guys on top were waiting for a suitable time to announce the good news. For now, She would resume her duties as if nothing had happened.

As for why she was here, it was Satha's will to go to him specifically, She wasn'tgoing to question its divine orders . She offered some much need spiritual guidance in their weekly sessions. The elf proved to be an excellent listener soothing J's troubled mind. In return, J had found himself more proficient when he negotiated with Shadows. He wished he couldntl tell her about what was really going on but it wasn't possible.

The best judge had finally caught up with the Dryad. He apologised to Veishu for abandoning his promise to protect him as per the Allmother's wishes who had fallen ill as of late. Judge Cidgeth asked J to keep an eye ( no pun intended) on the first seed. He couldn't tell them about the current political affairs , a simple ' make the best out of the present ' should suffice. He gave the boys two of his golden pens as a gift claiming he had no use for them anymore. These pens were worth a fortune that could have covered Miss Yuni's expenses but it was really hard to find a good buyer for them. They even hired Red to help them out but somehow every single buyer would get jinxed or the deal would go awry for one reason or another.

On the other hand, Both J and Veishu became exceptionally lucky in the Moonworld ( more loot, more crits and dodges). J used his eye on the pens but they were just ordinary ones. The duo had settled on giving them to Lev so she can do some research on them for the time being.

Meanwhile, Judge Cidgeth had addressed his fan club in a public statement, he said everyone should strife for a stable society even if one had sacrifice some of one's ideals in the process. He asked everyone not to seek violence as an answer for the inequalities he failed to correct. The Judge had personally outlawed Iustita Aurum due to potential domestic terrorism budding from its noble thoughts.

His speech had upset a lot of folks. He was calling a coward, a p+ssy and a traitor by many. His popularity had taken nose dive much to his chagrin. If only they knew of the looming threat in the horizon...

Some die hard fans based their next actions on rumours regarding the pressure of other Judges for the protests to die off. They formed the Mystic Front which doubled down on Judge Cidgeth's reasonable demand. Harrasment, Vandalism and Arson were just the beginning of something far more worse...

>Summer time, one last vacation with the gang

Each year had three Trimesters with roughly a month and a half of summer vacation and two months at the end of the year.

The principal's death had came out of no where. He had no inheritors and he was aware that if the government got their hands on Garsis, the standards would be lowered greatly. That was why the elf's last will had dozens of pages. It was perfectly written to keep the academy in its current state. He trusted it to some of his old friends who shared his same vision as well as few teachers who would lead Garsis to the right way.

Additionally, he dedicated the last of his fortune to give ALL of his students an experience that they wouldn't forget be it during summer or winter vacation depending on his time of death.

As it happened, Summer Vacation was still going. The collaborative efforts of dozens of people had made it possible for a World trip ( technically a half World trip) in about 19 days.

Millions of Pons were spent on this Tour showing what the World had to offer. They were constantly on the go spending at most 3 days in a single city state.

Beaches, Snowy fields, shows, zoos, the students and their teachers had seen it all. It was one of the most memorable experiences the MLH had.

The gang were acting like actual teenagers not some otherworldly saviors. Their MW activities had drastically decreased ( Sloth was beaten , only risky Requests were taken). The MLH were surprised of their inter-state popularity as well.

J had made a lot of memories with the gang.... especially Maq. Yerth was actually the last city state to visit so J showed her the hotspots they couldn't go to last time. They had been burning through the Lyst all of this time, only teo objectives were remaining in the Notebook.

A kiss... and something else.

Maq was puzzled, what would the physical contact between two lip bring? She more oriented with mortal nature by then but there some hiccups were here and there.

J was a kissless guy so his experience was limited but he awkwardly explain the 'reasoning' behind it.

The two hunters were flustered afterwards. J wasn't the charismatic Red by any chance so he probably screwed it up somehow. His chest was pounding like mad as both side played it off to make it less awkward. J didn't know what he should have said or done when Maq said goodnight before going to bed.

Nileth was skipped ( it did have some really nice spots but the city state refused any Cairthian to enter its territories. Those who were already in Nileth were either deported or imprisoned).

When the gang had returned back to Cairth, the city was suffering from violent protests and more insidious acts by the Mystic front. That was just the beginning...

The second Trimester was about to start in a few days. J wanted to celebrate with the whole gang ( including Julos who couldn't go with them) so he ordered a lot of pizza.

Half an hour later, the pizza guy was waiting out. J dropped the pons in the ground when he saw Jerthal in the flesh causally recounting the delicious pizza.

' You okay? Did you see a...ghost or something?' Jerthal was calm as ice. He didn't make any sudden moves, the assassin simply watched J losing his nerves unsure what to do.

' You messin with me O'hann, Bruv?' Red who happened to pass by sensed that something wasn't right.

' Your O'hann doesn't want to tip.' Jerthal played dumb and rolled with it.

' Gyag piece of... take'em and shove'em up yer arse.' Red threw some change at his face forcing him to pick them one by one.

'See you soon...' Jerthal tipped his cap before returning back to his scooter. J frantically threw ALL of the pizza in the trash fearing some kind of a bomb or a poison. That wasn't the case though. What a waste.

J had a serious discussion with the MLH about Jerthal. The elf could have easily killed him, no, he just wanted to show them that he knew where they lived forcing them to live in fear of a possible attack.

There was nothing they could do in the real world. Cops wouldn't do taur, they were pretty much occupied with the Mystic Front. The best they could was to somehow deal with him for good in the Moonworld.

The gang really missed their Sanctuary. Lev had sacrificed hundred of Amalgamites just to close the tiny rift found there so the Sanctuary was safe once again. She said that this method would require an infinite number of Amalgamites to fully mend the rifts which she obviously didn't have.

As for Julos, She was calmer than usual. She said that her memories were still Fuzzy. While they were gone, the streets were getting more dangerous . There were some talks about the council declaring permanent marital law to combat the fully fledged riots in both Koris and Sanada. Nothing was set in stone just yet.

With the help of Lev, J unlocked more of this cryptic pearls which had led him to a place called Unfavorable Development 5.8 . It was actually inside one of these pearls. Lev just had to come along, using her persona as her pair of remote eyes wouldn't just cut it.

The best way J could describe this place was something akin to a very creepy mannequin factory. J read through some of the scattered notes which was written by Dyadidaud at some point.

He/She wanted to create artificial life. Not just like a robot AI but rather as an artificially made soul capable of replicating itself normally like elves and humans. The reason for their new drive to achieve said goal was unknown. However, it was clear that their creations were a failure. The lifeless bodies were indistinguishable from the real thing. The artificial soul itself was the problem apparently.

J and Maq absolutely knew what to do, this was perhaps their only chance to revive Eplis! Lev was obviously the brain of the operation here. Her conclusion was quite grim.

These empty vessels would have probably consumed Eplis' makka right away in order to reactivate. In fact, nearly all of the absent artifical souls Dyadidaud had created were made out of Makka which might have explained their constant failures. Eplis, just like Mouten, wasn't real. She really didn't have a soul. She was just a thought conjured by Ruin.

It was a hard decision for both of them but J and Maq had agreed to let go of her sister's makka. This... limbo, Eplis did not deserve such fate. This was probably their last hope of reviving her. It was an emotional moment that Lev didn't feel like disturbing with her presence.

She wandered off only to accidentally find a very peculiar hand held device along with some devious notes regarding its functions. The elf had tucked itaway while the Dyad were busy upstairs.

J had used the eye of the dead to brave through a world enshourded by fog, the memories of the dead still lingered in the chilly air. It was one of the most harrowing and traumatising experiences J had been through but he had managed to pull it off securing the first fragment of the marriage weapon... a ring?

After a certain point, Julos did recall her own version of Moonworlding. She would combat more shadows so she could further increase her powers without J knowing about it. During one of her outings , She crossed paths with Jerthal.

Him trying to kill her didn't sit well with her, the elfryad was a horrifying opponent even with a fraction of her prime self. She wasn't gimped by the gang and their cutesy antics. Julos almost killed him this time, slicing off his arm and leaving him on the ground bleeding to death.

The elf was nothing but resourceful , He used one of his artifacts to flee the scene. The kiddy gloves were off for real. He promised her to save her for last. Strangely enough, Julos didn't bother to tell the gang about what had just happened.

> Lottery Ticket Mayhem

It came out of no where, the winning lottery tickets were greatly increased as well as the insane prize pool which was TEN times the original one. Not only that but the general prices were lowered overnight by a whopping 30%. Everything became cheaper and more affordable while the wages and such were increased by the same amount!

This was economical suicide according to experts. Somehow, the country kept going. People were certainly happier and unrest was slowly going away. A very bold move by the Judges which had paid off.

Not everything was sunshine and roses, a group of four Nilethian extremists stormed the local cinema taking many hostages in process. They wanted Cairth to ' stop stealing our resources' and ' put the Judges and the Council on trial'

The stand off took over 9 hours which had abruptly ended when the terrorists opened fire, killing 53 out of 66 hostages at the time before getting gunned down by CPD.

The whole incident had sparked outrage from both sides. No apologies were issued either. In fact, some politicians from Nileth were praising the terrorists calling them martyrs and heroes. Land, air and Naval forces were congregating at the borders. Cairth had superior firepower but they were outnumbered almost 4:1 , Nileth relied more on boots on the ground but this comparison wouldn't matter since other city states were supplying them with varying degrees of tanks, guns...etc.

A very volatile stand off. That was the current situation.

Meanwhile, J had donated the last drop of blood need for the Arachnii to finish her research. Miss Khakigg didn't forget her initial promise to J. The two had a hard time convincing Kaz to go with their plan since he said it was hopeless anyways, his condition was irreversible and he would like to spend the last of his few months not tied in some hospital bed but the nurse had assured him that both the operation and the recovery would take a few days . Kaz remained reluctant until J reminded him that he had to remain healthy if he wished to face the bad guys at the end of this long road. The elf finally agreed. The trio went to a friend of the spider nurse who extracted both blood and bone marrow samples, this pixie friend would be the one operating on Kaz which should be two weeks from now according to Miss Khakigg who made a rough estimation about the time she would take to grow moon glands.

It was at the end of August, the gang ( with the exception of Julos who wasn't really into social interactions) was having some fun time in the dorm alongside Bogza ( who had recuperated from his loss thanks to his friend's support) and Red who was feeling extra flirty with Maq ( didn't go well at the end) . They suddenly felt slightly funny before drifting in unnatural sleep.

When J had woken up, he found himself, Kaz, Maq, Naviesh, Veishu , Bogza , Red and Elenna all tied up in an abandoned warehouse. Jerthal was towering over them with a maniacal smile.

He apologised for not bringing Julos since he couldn't find her in time. He asked everyone to vote on who to die first and with what method. The elf had an array of tools at his disposal, each one was more wicked than one before it.

Naturally, Elenna panicked and started to scream uncontrollably. Jerthal just gagged her , he said that he would vote for her instead.

Bogza was tortured before and this was another Sunday afternoon to him. He was the most relaxed person cracking jokes at Jerthal who did smile from a few.

No matter how strong J was, he couldn't break free. He knew he *had* to use his eye to get out of this. Instead, he got one nasty jolt while using his empyrean eye. Jerthal had already hooked up J's chair with an artifact mocking him for trying to use his 'eye tricks'.

Veishu was slowly hurting himself while attempting to summon Providence. Jerthal took note of him squirming around but he was certain that Dryad would die trying to achieve the impossible.

Jerthal asked his question for the second time: who is going to die and how. Bogza spat on his face saying that no one was going to play his stupid game.

The elf calmly rolled up his sleeve before brutally murdering the orc in twenty long and painful minutes. Antagonising a psychopath wasn't a good idea after all.

' Who is next?' Drenched in orc blood, Jerthal asked his silent victims. Elenna was in a state of shock from witnessing such carnage. Kaz volunteered but Red , who was now more serious, said that he should go next citing one of the most painful torture method Vartel used to apply against those who he really hated.

The gang was confused but Red gave them a wink. The Stag had a plan in his mind.

Jerthal appreciated Red's enthusiasm, he even respected the tattooed teen for choosing such a complicated way to go. He did check on Naviesh's wing lock so she couldn't release anything funny in the air.

Preparing all of this would take some time which was exactly what Red wanted. Unbeknownst to Jerthal, Red knew how to get out his bind. He waited for the elf to come closer before lunging forward while grabbing a piece of broken glass on the floor to stab him in the eye.

Jerthal withered in Agony while Red wasted no time to free his friends. J had to carry Veishu who had passed out while Kaz and Maq helped Elenna to get away. J didn't want leave Bogza behind but he had little choice in the matter... the safety of his friends was above everything. Taking the downed Jerthal was too risky since he was a professional assassin jacked up with artifacts not the mention the above mentioned safety reasons.

The gang headed for Jerthal's van which was conveniently parked nearby in the warehouse. Only Red knew how to drive so he took the keys right away.

Jerthal, who had regained some of his senses , started to blindly shoot at his van. Wild and inaccurate shots against his bulletproof van wasn't the finest of an idea but he was so enraged by the little taurs that it didn't matter. He had to take cover when Red shot at him with a piece he found in the glove box while the rest of the gang were heading inside.

Eventually, Red bashed through the rusty entrance and gate before getting the moon out of here.

The gang had escaped.

The gang found themselves in Cairth outskirts .That was a close call for sure. Maq was trying to soothe Elenna who didn't utter a single word while Kaz and J were helping Veishu who was slowly recovering, he was riddled with guilt blaming Bogza's death on himself.

Once the Adrenaline wore off , Red felt something wet on his shirt....It was blood, ebbing from three bullet holes.

Red couldn't focus on the road, he almost ran straight to a tree as he used the brakes at the last second.

They were stranded in the middle of nowhere without any phones to call for help. The gang could do nothing as Red was dying slowly. One of the three bullets had gone through his lung while the other two were inside his abdomen.

'Tell Miss Stag... she is the best mum I have never had... a..nd she gots the best pair...hehe..he...h..e'

Red died while staring at the starless sky. J was beyond devestated. He lost two of his friends because of his choices. He shared the same thoughts with Veishu: He was weak. If he had his very own persona. He might have somehow saved them.

What happened next was blur. This was the lowest point of their lives right now. No one could cope with such loss. He did have to change if he wished to face the next sin.

Jerthal had escaped yet again. There was no records of him according to both Wes and Gonshak. Julos expressed little sympathy for the loss of Red and Bogza which infuriated the already volatile J but he chose not to act based on his emotions.

The very next day, the MLH had all heard this strange drone noise. They had little time to recover from yesterday's nightmare so they had to meet up at the sanctuary where they found that the noise was coming from Ruin actually. They tried to address him but they were met with silence. Very unusual.

The MLH could actually see some spots of the moon(s) for once, they weren't covered with Ruin's many eyes. This was concerning.

However, Everything had paled in comparison with what was going outside. The sky was raining pink moondust which was making all women and girls act extra possessive towards literally any guy they come across to the point of verbal and light physical violence. This was unnatural which had led the MLH to believe that this was the doing of the next sin. They had to Moonworld right away.

Lev was also monitoring the situation saying that a hidden labyrinth suddenly became visible somewhere in the moonlands which was responsible for spewing the pink Moondust all over Cairth and Cairth only. That was very bizzare to say the least.

The elf gave the MLH a timer before every single woman in Cairth would enter a psychotic state which couldn't be reversed. They had to act fast. The clock was ticking.

J headed straight to Paloa, He had enough Makka to locate said labyrinth but there was no need for that...the labyrinth itself was coming towards the MLH.

A moving labyrinth? That's a first. The doors were opened for once. Envy was expecting them for certain.

Once inside, the MLH were met with the most abstract floor they had encountered. They couldn't make heads or tails out of it. It wasn't incoherent like Sloth's labyrinth, no, it had certain crazed pattern to it. This Labyrinth was finished and very much unsettling.

Before the MLH could do anything , they were stunned by a deafening shriek Before a sea of anthromorphic revolvers with glossy lips sprouted from the floor stuffing the MLH into their barrel before firing them... out of the labyrinth? Indeed that was the case, the MLH couldn't get back inside...except for those who were already in.

Johann and Maq.

The revolvers formed a lizard made of out ladders and sparking pink butterflies which swallowed Maq before retreating deeper into the lower floors.

'CCCCCOme AnAndnandandand GeTTttt us, MYyyyY Loveveveveve. The distorted voice came from down below, specifically the heart shadow.

J wasn't alone, however, he had Lev's add on which allowed her to guide them through this madness as well as giving him constant update. Julos wasn't too happy about getting kicked outside so she tried to break her way in which was impossible of course , it only made her angrier than before.

Lev got Qekka on the line, he said that he was also trying to get in but he couldn't find the sweet spot just yet. Her Amalgamites could possibly slip in for some much needed reinforcement. There was no telling what was envy doing with Maq, he had to save her right now!

Yeah Julos definitely ticked him off. He was willing to play very nice and slow because he wasn't really bound by the council who hired him to see what in the moon is going on. The guy just wanted a challenge after killing so many of the director's agents. Ironically, he got what he wanted.

J was forced to face pure unfiltered madness during his slow descent to the deep floors. He probably wouldn't have made it without Lev's constant support and guidance as the was forced to face spliced up shadows, lots of facades and traps as well as the constant reshuffling of his skills and magic ( except for his Moonless form).

Envy was clearly suffering from some personality disorder, one time Envy would repeatedly call J 'my love' and other times Envy would cry hysterically to no end causing tremors and quakes which would transform the scenery to be even more chaotic and unpredictable.

J wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he was aware of that. However, He noticed a certain pattern Lev couldn't detect right away: the last two floors were based on actual movies ( albeit distorted and a lot of anagrams with missing scenes, new ones...etc). Some he knew while others were more obscure, He used his knowledge to conquer most of them saving his waning strength for the very last chamber of the labyrinth.

Meanwhile, Envy was getting more extreme with its unhealthy obsession/ loathsome attitude towards him. Whenever J said he didn't want to lose Maq and he would save her eventually, Envy would flip in no time sending waves of spliced up shadows against him. Lev warned him not to rile Envy like so again... his resources were getting scarce and he was running out of time.

Back in the realworld, the situation was getting *really* bad. Few were already starting to severely beat each other ( some times to death), it was even worse with female police officer who had no qualms about shooting any other women they spotted.

J had finally made it to the heart chamber where he had found...well, an actual beating heat. A gigantic one hanging in the ceiling via engorged blood vessels. Each thump would shake the chamber violently.

" MAQ, NO! " Johann saw these black tendrils coming out of Maq's unconscious body. The tendrils had attached themselves to the heart suspending Maq in the air while pumping some grayish liquid in her.

" Aaaaah reunited at KILLYOUKILLYOU last... You have no idea how LONG I was waiting for this WHYWHYWHYWHY moment."

" Not now, Lev!" Johann had turned his burning scorn towards envy." Let.Her.Go"

" I..am sorry... this is all what I can say for you." True conflict was brewing inside of him.

" I don't want any of this, I want to live a normal life,n-not like this. We don't have to do this..."

" Johann, I got a couple of ideas but you need to weaken Envy first, beat her persona so I can get inside. I have to warn you. None are really that good for the real Maq."

Johann had managed to beat Abranova in a harrowing battle which allowed Lev to slip through the cracks using her Amalgamites ( the gang still couldn't get inside).

Lev brandished the device that she yoinked from Unfavorable Development: The Pearl Tiller.

It had many functions but ultimately, it didn't really help Dyadidaud much in their research. A soul applicator, extractor and incubator.

Lev made it very clear that the following choices were in fact very awful for Maq but she would be 'alive ' so to speak.

Dyadidaud's plan was simple : extract mortal soul and apply it to this new vessel so it could create life from life. However, the mortal soul would be devoured like the artificial one. The only way to prevent this was by scrubbing the mortal soul clean. No memories, No personality, No motivation... an automat in essence. The scrubbed soul would eventually get eroded over thousands of years.

To counter this problem, Dyadidaud wanted to make the extracted soul more resilient hence the incubator part...a simulation of their own memories which would surely make the soul strong enough to resist the erosion as well as the loss of self.

Dyadidaud would soon abandoned this venue too because the process was extremely slow taking thousands of years. Furthermore, their memories were mostly painful so any weak mortal soul would be essentially stuck in stimulated torture.

So it was to either turn Maq into a husk or put her in a simulation that would break her for a slim chance that her new vessel wouldn't devour. The last option was to allow the Labyrinth to crumble after saving Mouten. Maq would go down with her Labyrinth if that wasn't obvious.

Due to the recent developments with Johann and Maq ( Mouten decided to keep her namesake in honour of her sacrifice) , the Celestial Bond between the two had taken a new form.

No one was willing to change their mind so I was forced to break the three knotted tie. Mouten had won the round.

I should mention that unlike main series, Romance does affect the story. For example, If J wasn't interested in Mouten, he would have an easier time during Envy's Labyrinth and so on

While the gang was exploring and discovering new areas, they were noticing a slow decline in the overworld shadows. The shadow were also less active and energetic than before. Weird.

Jerthal was no where to be found either. They thought he would come back with vengeance but the assassin would never bother them again. The MLH wanted to settle a score with him. This time, they had formulated a foolproof plan that would entrap him long enough for the director to catch him.

Ruin had stopped talking to MLH for an unknown reason. Lev would be the one to solve this mystery.

Using her Amalgamites to probe into the current moon Ruin had engulfed, Lev realised that not only Ruin was unresponsive, he was slowly deteriorating. Parts of his essence were dripping in the sea. Only J and Lev's Amalgamites could truly witness the horror manifesting near Cairth's shore.

A lake of mud. Black and nature and bubbling , it didn't have any physical effect on the area just as ships would pass by it with. Things wouldn't be the same once the Veil would be gone.

Meanwhile, Laedras, Movi and Paloa were suffering from some ailment. They didn't know what was it exactly but it was the cause of untold pain. The gang couldn't add up what was going on, they sought the director's help. The colossal skeleton stated that Ruin's time was coming to an end. Soon, Ruin would be nothing but a core which would wait for a puppet with a mighty soul. His demise would free Shapless from her prison.

The director wasn't surprised at all , he did offer his condolences for J's cycle
When asked why, the director said that the Lake of mud would continue to spawn unchecked monstrosities until a puppet would be on the Helm.

'Ruin will return to slumber, all of his thoughts will die in his endless dream as a core.' This was his response to the unexplained pain of Paloa and the others.

Maq called him a liar saying that she felt nothing. To which, the director had responded with the following.

' You are a very peculiar case. A mere thought, possessing a living vessel, wraped by strong emotions and greater will. You are no longer a thought, You have a soul thanks to your...companion. Dyadidaud would cry in joy for achieving their goal before turning you into their test subject..'

There was stuff that I couldn't really decide on my own. It would be unfair to my players to do so.

The special ending would have included Josephine, another daughter of twelve/None, from a different cycle, It would have involved a lot of cycle hopping in order to save both worlds. I sadly lost my notes when my laptop died so I can't remember much. I think the brutal difficulty was meant for players who either found the quest to be too easy (lol) or would try to push J to the limit in order to test themselves. I obviously had to put some kind of worthwhile reward at the end. You are right though, shapless would have never offered the CBT route on her own volition.

Although, taking this option would have made her respect us greatly. I think there was a really sneaky route we could have taken where we sided with Shapless so we could 'unevil' her at end (Shapeless not the core). After all, she found herself in a desperate situation that forced her to enter marriage with Keon.

J revealed the director's plan to Maq who slapped him ( albeit gentler than before) for keeping this a secret from her and other MLH. She dragged him for an apology to his fellow hunters for being so stupid. The gang had mixed thoughts about the marriage weapon. Veishu was pretty much against the whole idea, he didn't want to mess with something so powerful while Naviesh and Kaz were totally for it. Lev saw it as a fail safe option while Julos was rather indifferent to the whole thing.

After some gruelling discussions, the gang decided to hunt for the missing pieces. One of which was under a sea of molten lava. Lev used her persona as an add-on to Al-Ebyiurm which had greatly amplified Julos' power.

With a single slash, Julos ( level ~110 btw) split the molten sea effortlessly while Naviesh flew down there to quickly snag the weapon piece. Thankfully, It was in this energy fields which made it possible for the pixie to grab it.

The second piece was a ...rubber duck?

As for the third piece, it was right under their noses the whole time in Garsis academy through a hidden passage they discovered. The third piece was a flute clutched dearly by an elfoid skeleton.

The ever so wacky White was in fact coping the loss of Igor the whole time. After finishing the prismatic trials and reaching this point in the quest, White had faith in the MLH stating that this was the team which will make the dreams of his master a reality. He promised the MLH to give his fullest to the cause asking J to bring him the marriage weapon parts so he can forge something to defy the very gods of the universe. J sure trusted White more than the director so he was okay with this plan.

3142 Dead, 42955 Injured ... this was the Aftermath of Envy's burst but of course none knew of that. The council had lost three of its key figures during the unexplained chaos tipping the balance of power towards the Judges since electing a new council member would be a near impossibility during these volatile times.

Due to how localised and convenient this mess was, Weaponized Moondust came to mind according to experts and analysts Cairth considered this to be an act of war and was about to retaliate harshly but other city states had directly intervened warning Cairth from executing its plan.

Thus a 'neutral' Interstatal Committee was formed to investigate the incident. Cairth had lost its Moon race with the death of Lev and Zoff in an unfortunate accident so their hands were tied in the matter.

Nileth's responded with the following ' The City State of Nileth is not responsible for the Moon-related incident that occurred in the City State of Cairth and its unlawful territories. This could be the action of a third unknown party or divine retribution. '

One thing was for sure, when this investigation would end, War would break out soon after.

Cairth had recovered and quelled the chaos that followed but it would never be the same afterwards.

The day had finally come, Kaz was ready for his a new set of Moon Glands. J was biting through his nails while waiting. It was quite ironic for Kaz to have his friends around but not his own flesh and blood. His father and brother were very much aware of this operation and yet they chose to attend a fencing match. Deep down, Kaz felt that their hatred towards him were somehow justified, He just couldn't pin down the why.

' You are alive! You are alive! ' J couldn't contain his excitement when he was allowed to see Kaz. The elf was still weak but he could already feel the new glands working as intended purifying his body from nasty moondust. This beacon of joy would light the hearts of all the MLH and Miss Khakigg. Kaz was finally free to live his life the way he wanted. The shadow of death would haunt him no longer.

The two love birds had their own adventures in popular spots across Cairth. J was financially stable thanks to the mad dosh they made in the MW as well as Wes, He spared no expenses on the foods , drinks..etc. Maq wasn't a needy girl like at all. She just wanted to experience true love with the pesky mortal who made her a human with a living soul. Neither of them questioned it, they were okay with this very happy accident.

Her lips tasted divine, everything was perfect... the texture, the softness and fullness of the lips and the taste. J would lose himself everytime she kissed him on a date. Same thing with Maq who was okay with accepting the softer and tender part of her personality.

Dyadidaud came into mind. J feared their sudden arrival so they would try to snatch Maq from him. He would NEVER allow them to lay their hands on her even if it meant his very own death.

It was Judge Nethoriel's idea to lower the prices and to raise the wages in order to stabilise Cairth. The insane net loss was covered by her solely . Billions of pons were lost every single day especially with the growing sanctions from other Nileth-supporting city states. The Judge didn't care at the slightest.

She didn't bother involving herself in the ongoing shoutouts between the Judges. The elf had her eyes on one thing and one thing only: Cairth itself.

All the money she had lose was merely an 'investment' . She wanted to own every street, every school, every gyag piss stained alley...she wanted to own Cairth.

Thus the buyout frenzy had begun. She would initially offer ten times the original price of whatever she wanted, then FIFTY times then a HUNDRED times is original price! The weirdest thing was that she made zero changes in the original management of any shop that she bought. She was ruining real estate and a lot of financial aspects on the fly.

This burst of wealth had raised quite a few eyebrows. Global investigators were sent to ensure that Cairth ( or rather Judge Nethoriel) wasn't drawing in inflation printing pons without any gold to back it up.

Lo and behold, Cairth Vaults were STACKED with gold bars. This made Cairth a very delicious ally and target to the rest of the city state. All wanted piece of that golden cake.

>Veishu's second try

The Dryad wanted to prove himself to the MLH by trying to figure out the mysterious figure who was responsible for essentially making most if not all of the sins. He was sick of being so useless ( Veishu couldn't attack thanks to his pacifist oath). The gang was once again split in said matter. J finally caved in before he told Veishu that he would snap him out of his meditation if Veishu was in danger. A good compromise.

Veishu closed his eyes, minutes of dreadful silence and anticipation. Nothing. He started to breathe heavily as he began to bleed from his ears and nose.

' Wait! This might he our only chance!' Kaz stopped J from Interrupting Veishu as he was coughing a copious amount of blood.

' That's it! I...' J was petrified upon seeing the most vile red Silhouette standing in front of Veishu. It emitted a similar energy that almost blinded them when he formed a celestial bond with.

This was the mysterious figure, only seen by J's empyrean eye. It pulled out a sword of its throat priming the sword towards Veishu's remaining eye.

'JULOS, STRIKE HERE!' It was a split second decision that required a lot of brainpower from J's side. Only Julos could have her persona in the real world. The Elfryad's slice was so powerful that she shattered the floor ( they were in the garage) busting a water pipe in the process.

The water had snapped Veishu from his trance. He gasped for air while other MLH rushed to his aid. As for the mysterious figure, it was unharmed by said strike. It simply smiled before vanishing away.

When Veishu had recovered from this awful experience, he said that he was so close to finding out the true identity of the mysterious figure. He was in tears claiming that Providence wouldn't allow him to endanger himself like this again. This was his only chance and he blew it by being too weak.

The MLH ended the day with a rather disappointing result but at least Veishu would be okay.

Ruin was melting away at an accelerated rate. His core ( taking the shape of a five pupiled eye) was barely clinging on the surface of the moon(s). The gang knew that once it dropped, hell would break loose.

The Veil was looking far more worse as well. J could easily see the ever expanding Moon world on the other side. Veishu and Lev had combined their effort for a very temporary solution. Every single day, Veishu would meditate a single spot chosen by Lev in the Moonworld to allow Providence to literally hold the remaining cosmic fabric of the Veil together. This solution was taking its toll on the Dryad who was already weakened by the recent events. As such, he couldn't join the gang in their fight against the ever so powerful Greed.

The last two pieces existed in a time before cycles were a thing. Just an endless void born after an cataclysmic event. Lev made a slightly uncomfortable bubble out of her Amalgamites around the gang which allowed them to reach the last two pieces: Two interwined flowers with different symbols floating above the petals.

With all pieces gathered, it was up to White to make this marriage process. He said that this was a very long process that might take years without any external help. The rabbit in a tuxedo needs a LOT of Makka to speed things up.

With Ruin being basically out of the picture, the gang was on lookout for a new sin to emerge. This didn't take long as they were noticing a very unusual trend... people from all over the world were depositing a very small amount of pons to a single bank account. Everyone was acting so casual and nonchalant about it. The amount of Pons deposited would gradually increase every single day. People would do anything to meet this unknown quota.

This was definitely Greed, the MLH knew that they had to act faster than usual, they went to Paloa and paid enough Makka to get to Greed's Labyrinth. There was just one problem...

The Labyrinth was locked.

They couldn't get in, Julos gathered her strength for a powerful blow to break in... which did absolutely nothing.

Well, it did something. Greed came out of the labyrinth.

' Tsk , Tsk, Tsk, Where are your manners? Oh, what am I saying? You are lesser than the specks of dirt under my heels...' Everyone's least favourite Judge was haughty as ever.

' This is your fine for Vandalism.' The shadow Judge Nethoriel had given them a 100k makka slip which didn't go too well with the MLH. They decided to battle her here and now .... not the brightest of decisions.

Greed instantly rained a hailstorm of pons and makka on them instantly Knocking out the MLH but J , she had the following to say:

' I expect you to pay up in three days, if not, I will simply kill one of my little gyaggy banks in the real world. Everyone has been infected by my special pons anyways... hehe...'

J was having none of that, he wanted to enter her labyrinth and Fight on even grounds ' What a cute gyaggy bank. I only deal with worthwhile people , come back when are a little ...umm richer. Until then, Toodle-oo'

The gang was faced with a real dilemma. Not only did they have to pay an absurd amount of Makka, they also had to be multi billionaires in order to gain access to the labyrinth. How in the moon could they pull it off in just three days?

Julos and Kaz had a more dreadful thought: Only the real Nethoriel could influence her primordial shadow version which meant that the Judge *had* to acknowledge them as billionaires in order for the labyrinth to be accessible. They were at loss, unsure how amass such fortune. The answer was right across the street. Tecig was unpacking a box of sweets...

With precious lottery tickets inside.

This was only their way to the real Judge. Win not just the lottery but *THE* lottery. The highest prize was estimated to be TEN BILLION pons. That's a lot of money right there.

For starters, everyone wasted their money on lottery tickets but obviously that didn't work. Lev used her Amalgamites to sniff any kind of relevant info about the lottery ticket. She found out that the ticket was actually in the possession of Ranzah, leader of The Wet gang in Midden.

The infamous Arachnii wanted to add the ticket to her collection of peculiar and exotic objects. There was no way that she would depart with it Willingly. The White Stag wouldn't be able to convince her either.

Well, as it turned out, She was an advocate for Arachnii rights and Miss Khakigg just happened to finally finish her research thanks to J but she seriously lacked the funding to mass produce elfoid blood ( and other organs too just like Kaz's gland).

J of course didn't tell the nurse the real reason behind wanting to deal with this gang boss, he expected a no right away but the Arachnii just laughed in response because...well, Ranzah was actually her sister.

She hid the truth from J for obvious reasons but she had no problem introducing him to the leader of the Wet. Ranzah really wanted to taste J's blood after hearing so much about him but she stopped herself. She was much bigger than her sister who hadn't left 'the Aegis' in years.

For the efforts J had done to make every Arachnii's dream a reality, Ranzah gave J the ticket wishing him good luck and thanking him from the bottom of her heart. J promised her to fund the project if he had any pons which puzzled both Arachnii: on just what exactly could J spend ten billions on? The answer might surprise them.

Only 5000 lucky winners got a couple of millions for their trouble. The MLH just won the big prize. That meant one trip to the richest district in Cairth as well as a three month stay in The Silver Paradise complex which literally had everything the could dream of. Most importantly, they got to meet Judge Nethoriel who gave them a very cold reception mocking their new found wealth.

That was enough for Greed's Labyrinth to be unlocked. Oh boy, what a Labyrinth it was. For starters, EVERYTHING costed either makka or pons or both. Want to rest at the respite point ? 2 million Makka. Want to attack? 500k pons. It was insane.

Greed herself offer 'premium' shortcuts to skip floors at unbelievable prices. Worse yet, everything was getting more expensive with each passing day. They were burning through the 6 billion pons ( after taxes) very fast. It wasn't feasible to continue like so.

Lev decided to cheat the system using her Amalgamites to secretly Corrupt one of invulnerable Pon-collector shadows which allowed her to alter some certain payouts. Each payouts would net millions of makka and pons which were required to keep up with Greed who was getting stronger with every passing day.

Lev couldn't change the system after she enabled one of the premium offers to buy Greed herself. She got caught and the corrupted shadow was destroyed by a very pissed off Greed.

The labyrinth itself was a very luxurious palace where everything was made out of gold, diamonds or silver. The shadows had a lot of bling on them as well. Greed had erected a lot of statues of herself which did have tons of pons inside.

By the time the MLH had reached the heart throne ( not chamber) , they had only a couple of thousands makka to their name.

Greed summoned her elite guards to deal with them. When these guys got beaten, she summoned the Invulnerable pon collecters who was beaten by Julos ( level 149) .

Refusing to give up, Greed melted her labyrinth away ( minus the throne) and used all of that gold to create a gigantic shadow.

It was hopeless, this thing was a ten times larger than gluttony. A single stomp would be more than enough to finish the job.

'Stand Back..' Julos saved the MLH by stopping the golden shadow right in its track. Her strength was legendary holding its feet at bay. The flesh of her hands and arms started to melt from from the friction but she didn't seem to care.

No one thought that Julos could knock off the giant shadow in one single push. The MLH efforts hadn't gone unnoticed, Paloa had showed up creating an illusion of a frigid landscape that entombed most of the golden shadow in ice while Laedras shot a beam ( from her pocket dimension,
she still couldn't leave) straight through its chest exposing its beating heart.

This gave Julos the chance to slice its heart open with a single slash. The golden shadow had turned into a sea of riches afterwards leaving the MLH to deal with one devestated Greed.

The Judges couldn't keep up with the ongoing war, their plans would fail one after another. Turmoil was tearing the city state from inside. Riots, Terrorists, Gangs taking the streets. They were Spiralling into certain doom. The council was as useless as ever, a bunch on decrepit old man waiting for magical results in half an hour.

" Satha's above! Things have gone rotten once the half breed had joined us!" Judge Gaern cried.

" What a failure of a diplomat you are, a grain of sense would have saved us from this conundrum." Judge Zeykinth chipped in.

" Both of you, stop." The first sword couldn't swallow any more bickering " The fate of Cairth relies on us. We need to fortify this point an-"

" Ladies! Gentlemen! " Judge Oriestinor barged in the war room with a meaty folder at hand. She didn't bother to apologise to the first sword for her rude Interruption.

The old men in power were RELIEVED to have a scapegoat for their shortcomings. Judge Cidgeth still had hope to change their mind.

" I promised an old friend to strife for peace, to abandon any selfish thoughts for the sake of all. My death won't save Cairth from the true enemy knocking on our doors. Please, I beg you to reconsider your judgement upon this faithful servant of Cairth."

His speech was met with lingering silence. The framed Judge was finally defeated, his fate was sealed.

"Hmm?" Cidgeth was no more, Judge Vanasgreth was about to wipe off the blood in the former Judge's Cape when she noticed a drip of liquid gold in the newly formed pool of blood.

Everyone was in shock when Judge Cidgeth slowly stood up. Her rapier had went through his lungs! How was this possible??

"Accept your fate!!!" Judge Vanasgreth went for a thrust to neck but the once fallen Judge had deflected her strike with unmatched speed. He closed the distance in a blink before stopping her next strike with his free hand.

" Such strength, W-w-what are you?" Fear was slowly bubbling in her eyes as her struggle was waning.

" I am the end for your elven kind, I am the answer to a godless world. I.am.Justice."

Judge Cidgeth snapped her sword as he lifted Judge Vanasgreth by her head before throwing her at the other side of the courtroom.

He had other elves to deal with first.

The Vermin were trying to escape the court room. Their body guards had golden light burning from their eyes, they blocked the exits while Cidgeth dealt with the rest of the Judges.

Judge Gaern came swinging first, neither his hammer nor his brute strength could save his leg from getting torn in a single pull. Cidgeth bludgeoned him with the very same leg.

Judge Oriestinor stabbed him in the back twisting her daggers while jumping over him. Her Acrobatics didn't save her either as Cidgeth pinned her to the wall with one of the decorative spears on the wall behind him. Her suffering would have to wait for now.

Judge Zeykinth relished the moment to use his monster slaying weapons on him , all were easily parried or deflected. Cidgeth simply choked the life out the Judge until his eyes popped from sheer force.

Judge Nethoriel kept shooting but she missed nearly all of her shot as Cidgeth was slowly walking towards her.

As Nethoriel was pissing herself from fear, she remembered the blue crystal she bought from that assassin the council always used to loved. She payed 50 million pons for ' a pretty necklace which could take you to another world if you crush the blue crystal inside.' She only bought it at the time to prove that she could buy it. Much to her surprise, it actually worked! She was out of this carnage.

" I will deal with her later. As for you.." Cidgeth used the very same daggers in his back to stab her dozens of times all over her body.

A single snap from Cidgeth caused the guards to open fire on the horrified Councilmen.

" I have no use for you." The elven guards blasted their head after a single gesture.

Everyone was dead, with the exception of Judge Vanasgreth.

"...why?" The elf was paralysed from down the waist , She was defenceless against Cidgeth's advance.

" Your kind had brought misery on all. I have seen their merciless cruelty countless times yet I adhered to peace as much as I could. I had to act to ensure true peace."

"...but, we are the...future. All the other races , they rely on us, they look up to us. What will a flock do without a shepherd? Preyed upon... swallowed by chaos.." The Judge removed her Helm, her breath was getting heavy.

" Judge Vanasgreth..." regret was clear in his voice "... Your kind is a disease and I am cure. "

"C-cairth must stand.."

" It shall, a beacon of peace and propresity it will be. I bring life as I bring death. You are a noble woman, I hate to see you in such pitiful state. Let me heal you."

The elf chuckled, coughing more blood " I will seek your death, you already know that. No, grant me a warrior's death."

" Are you certain?"

" Y-yes...Humour me.." She paused for a second to recollect her thoughts "... Is there anyone who can stop your rampage?"

" Certainly. " He nodded.

The real Judge Nethoriel had popped out of portal soon after both Lev and Veishu had arrived . She was scrambling and crawling on the ground with a wet trail between her legs. Lev concluded that the Judge's untimely arrival probably caused her primordial shadow to go poof.

Judge Nethoriel made few very coherent sentences, she was still in shock from whatever she had been through. However, She made it very clear that she had gained this power to create pons and the gold to back them up after a certain visit from the mysterious figure in her dreams. It was easy to pump them into the circulation both locally and globally. This infected money would make everyone indebted to the Judge. She swore ever to use her powers ever again.

The elf had lost it when Judge Cidgeth casually made it to the other side, he said that it was unfortunate to cross paths with the Moonlit Hunters so early. The Judge explained what had just happened in the courtroom and his plan to take on both gods after a quick elven genocide to 'restore justice to this world'

Both J and Veishu were in shambles from learning about his intentions. The two looked up to him as their role model.

His armour slowly began to fall off piece by piece revealing the true Cidgeth. He was a golden winged entity whose mere presence had transformed the barren landscape to a blooming paradise. This was no illusion, this was the real deal.

' I wish to end the life of the woman responsible of many untold miseries. Please, step aside. I don't wish to harm you' Judge Nethoriel was cowering behind J while snivelling like the true coward that she was.

The MLH could feel the difference in strength even with Julos on their side ( who was awfully silent this whole time). They didn't know what to do.

' If you wish to defend her, then I will hold no grudge against you. She and her diseased kind will submit to me... sooner or later.'

" Who are you? You were one of my brightest followers, Julos." The clash had created dozens of fissures running for miles in all directions while the impact had melted all of Julos' flesh, leaving a charred skeleton instead.

" Why, I share your same vision. a godless world... of my creation. Thanks to our mutual friends, I have the means necessary to make my dream a reality."

"I WILL KILL YOUUUUU" J had left the safety of the golden shield erected by Judge Cidgeth and charged forward, he was blinded by rage watching the death of his friend like so.

" Foolish boy..." Julos' persona suspended J in the air " If the persona of the most powerful son of none could barely hold his ground against me...what sort of hope do you, a mere back up plan, have against me?"

Julos' flesh was back in a flash as she tightened the gripbof J forcing Cidgeth to cut Al-Ebyiurm in half. This decision had left him wide open for a lethal thrust as Julos skewered Cidgeth before burying him deep in the ground.

" Pathetic... I believe this is mine." Julos snagged her book from J who was too weak to stand up...

Dyadidaud's Lamentations.

" Come with me, girl, we have so much to learn together. " Dyadidaud stepped forward in pure confidence towards the rest of the MLH. Her true prize was almost within her grasp..

Dyadidaud had little time to react against this cosmic pain train that was so powerful that it took a small chunk of the moonworld with Dyadidaud OUT of this cycle. If she wasn't obliterated right away, it would take her some time to return back to this point.

J crawled back to his friends who were mourning the loss of Kaz....and Veishu.

Yes, Veishu. He had focused the last strength he had in one final punch against Dyadidaud. His skin was mostly cracked, his once lovely horns had fallen off, the beautiful flowers in his hair had wilted away. The Dryad lied flat on the scorched paradise, his breath was shallow as he stared at the skies in pure silence...

" No,no...nonononono, MOON DAMN IT! DAAAAMNNN IT!" J slammed the ground in frustration and agony, he couldn't look at the soulless husk of Kaz.

" Johann.." While he was severely wounded, Cidgeth limped towards the remaining hunters " I... I can bring your friend back to life."

" Don't lie to me." J continued crawling towards the dying Veishu.

" This is no lie. I was blessed with this power, as fate would have it, I used it to save Naviesh."

" W-what? " The pixie found it hard to believe his words.

The Judge conjured his memories in the air for the hunters to see. It showed him inside a hospital where Naviesh didn't survive her severe injuries. He took off his Helm before reviving here.

" I am afraid I can do nothing to Veishu. His Vessel was too weak to contain Providence. He was aware of the consequences the moment he formed a celestial bond with you. His soul is as shattered as his body."

He took off his mask.

Judge Cidgeth did revive Kaz. Everyone was overjoyed, thanking the silent Judge in the process. He would soon leave knowing that he had given the MLH a semblance of a chance for what lied ahead.

As for Providence, She had made the ultimate sacrifice by mending the Veil using her essence. This immediate threat was over. Judge Nethoriel was deathly afraid to return back to the realworld. She would eventually stay with a mildly annoyed Lev, that woman had zero skills in anyone notable but the Judge was trying to make herself useful in any way possible.

Kaz wasn't the same since he returned to the land of the living. It took him a while before cracking under the sheer guilt crushing his soul.

For he was indeed the mysterious figure.

He explained everything in extreme details to the shocked gang starting with the very beginning...

He was accidentally teleported to the MW when J used his powers in the bathroom. He didn't tell his part because his memory was wiped off by none other than Shapeless Baroness who saved him from dying ( he had no moon glands and was surrounded by shadows) offering him her powers while he became ' her emergency window '. The core would create these sins every single cycle so Ruin would eventually destroy said cycle.

She bestowed great powers on him , taking control over his body to do the following :

-Killing his mother in past, making sure that his brother and father would know so they would make his life a living hell, Kaz had a bit of agency left in him...he begged them to kill him but Shapeless soon took over. She wanted to create a time paradox forcing kaz to have his glands extracted by his vengeful father who knew he couldn't harm his child in any shape or form afterwards

- Lust: Kaz took Laedras' pocket dimension and threw it in the real world, allowing the orc fisherman to find it.

-Envy: Kaz 'killed' Maq , sending her soul to the Moonworld after certain actions.

-Wrath: Kaz gave the power of favors to the Black wolf influencing her to seek vengeance against the White Stag and her daughter.

- Gluttony: Kaz gave Gluttony the power to manifest food.

-Sloth: Kaz was responsible for unleashing Amalgamites from Lev's thoughts.

-Greed: Kaz granted Judge Nethoriel both the power of wealth and infected pons

-Pride: Although he didn't fully recall the details, Kaz said that he whispered dark thoughts to Cidgeth who was the persona of the unknown son/daughter of twelve/none forcing Cidgeth to believe that person was weak and unfit for his powers.

-Bogza's dad: Shapless thought it would be funny to drive a desperate man to suicide. His death had nothing to do with anything important.

After Kaz had died, he found himself in Shapeless' prison. The meat puppet is almost gone and the core wanted a newer one via marriage. His Savoir was an injured Judge Cidgeth who fought the Core long enough for Kaz to escape sustaining more injuries in the process.

Though he couldn't control his actions, the guilt was unbearable for Kaz. He did all of these awful things after being exploited by Shapless. Worst thing was that he belonged to the core, whether he liked it or not. It was a done deal with no way to break it.

Kaz begged his comrades to kill him for his sins stating that he would do everything in his power to control the core perhaps preventing it from bringing more Mayhem to the world. He said that he longer had his previous powers so he couldn't undo his mistakes.

Kaz stated the core is looking for a marriage candidate. If it wasn't him, someone worse might take the Helm. It was his way of redemption against all the atrocious he committed. He cried for recalling his attempt to kill Veishu TWICE as he was about to uncover his dark secret.

The MLH were in disarray. His actions were horrid and vile but...was it really his?

Kaz never thought the MLH would forgive him , he expected nothing but death after what he had done. It was a heartfelt moment between the gang that had strengthened their resolve. They were ready to face anything and anyone.

The results of the committee were inconclusive which ignited the war right away. A lot of city states were backing up Nileth for the promise of golden bars inside the rich vaults.

At first, Nilteth troops were gaining ground real fast. Judge Cidgeth was about to repel their advances after taking control over Cairth. He announced an assassination plot that took the lives of all the council and the Judges leaving him as the sole protector of Cairth.

Cidgeth was a brilliant tactician, he never used his powers during the next month. Not only he did regained lost territory, he also pushed towards Nileth itself.

Martial law was declared , restricting pretty much everything. Things will only get worse from here after the Lake of Mud would physically Manifest.

The second upgrade was celestial ascension which ( after several tasks) will grant a MLH immense power in an attempt to even the odds for the upcoming conflict.

A storm was brewing in the horizon, Ruin was almost no more, Shapless was about to break free from her eternal prison. Dyadidaud would soon made her return... and Cidgeth? There was no telling what his labyrinth would be like.

The MLH must seek either new allies or strengthen themselves for the upcoming conflict They must choose wisely.

J went with Maq on a journey to discover her new self in this mini labyrinth ( both of them didn't really know what to call this one) where Maq self reflected her origin and her transformation from a parasite trapped jn mortal flesh to living being with actual soul born from J's affection.

Maq faced her past self with J by her side. She was a thought of rage and hatred against mortals but no more. Compassion, Sympathy, Honor, Love... these are the values she cherished dearly.

The demon within was truly tamed, it wasn't just a wicked force to abuse any longer. Its strength had vastly grown alongside Maq.

Using her Amalgamites, Lev managed to track down Jerthal who was very deep underground below Cairth. This was no problem for her since she had scanned some of the artifacts he had used in the past allowing her to active his MWing one.

Jerthal was barely an elf at this point, he had ALL of the artifacts he stole at the same time causing severe distortions around him.

He raised some kind of dome around him and the MLH claiming that it will open once someone died inside of it. Jerthal didn't hold back, the MLH did the same.

It was very close but the MLH managed to beat him. Once he saw the writing on the wall ( and the director's hand smashing the dome to get him) , he slit his own throat denying the director his chance to exact revenge.

'W...we will meet...again.' gurgled the assassin before his demise. Red and Bogza could finally rest in piece.

One thing the gang had overlooked was J's own labyrinth where he gained both his persona and his moonless form. The location was discovered again thanks to the combined efforts of Paloa and Lev.

J's 'labyrinth' was a mess. It was kept intact by the current residents occupying it... some really powerful shadows as well as all the thirteen sons of the moons.

Sadly, The primordial chamber was empty. The only positive outcome was the thirteen sons who agreed to help the MLH during the final conflict.

J had given up on finding his persona afterwards, if it wasn't in his labyrinth it probably wouldn't be anywhere else.

The million pons question remained unanswered: who was the original son/daughter of twelve/None? Well Judge Cidgeth had already given the answer a few weeks ago.

One of the two pens gifted by the Judge was activated after the clash with Dyadidaud. It had cryptic messages that were meant for Lev to solve.

Every triangulation attempt would summon very powerful shadows to fight as a countermeasure to her hacks. The process was very slow but eventually, the MLH had finally reduced the searching area to Sanada.

J exactly knew who that person was from the coordinates. He preferred to face the original son/daughter of twelve/None by himself. The gang didn't like this but they had faith in J so they allowed it.

J was engulfed by silence from an otherwise rowdy place full of laughter, cheers and tears. The immense radiating light from up ahead made J wince a little, his eyes readjusting in a few seconds.

The BIG BIG explain was first on the list . Tecig had talked about gensis according to Yenv himself who descended in his dreams a few years ago. Oce, Keon, Nede wars... Tecig didn't leave anything untold.

" Yenv wanted me to be his final solution, I was the winner of this cosmic lottery and I was meant be the Chosen One, save the world and all of that crap. Turns out, I was the last guy he could have picked for the job."

Time's up!

Kaz's version of Celestial ascension revolved around confronting his past that tormented him. Together with J, Kaz faced everyone he wronged starting with Maq and ending with Tecig and Cidgeth. They weren't the real deal of course but it did matter to Kaz.

There was this one final person Kaz couldn't face just yet, his own persona and the shackles that surrounded them both.

The truth was that his mother had forgiven him long ago, He couldn't get over it just yet. J did help, promising Kaz's persona to take care of him like always.

At this moment, all of suffering and pain Kaz had experienced had manifested in one of the most weapons wielded by a persona user. It wasn't enough to be a God slaying weapon but it was up there.

Cidgeth is just part of Tecig's psyche, since that's what a persona is (from the >>5377241 post), like a part of you. Instead of doing some anime protag comeback as Son of None, he was put down to be Mr. Zero via that part of him. For all we know, there could have been time travel paradox shenanigans going on, too! This is clear meddling with Tecig!
Since it's his persona, and we've seen the way to deal with the lab is to deal with the real person, Tecig must be the key to everything. Sure, Cidgeth's apparently gone rogue, but so what? We know Lev, #Lev4Queen, was basically a broken husk after the stuff with that SoB Zoff, #TeamLoyalist, but she got it together. If anyone can humble Cidgeth into accepting his role as a mere persona, who else but Mr. 0, it has to be!

Seriously though, I stand by the fact that Tecig was just Unlucky in life. He was weak willed individual who even with the powers that could have rivals gods, he did nothing with it. Cidgeth's view of the world was heavily wrapped by Tecig which may have explained him going rogue and flipping the finger to both the gods and elves in general.

The only thing he did right before Cidgeth assumed control over his fate was the promise of not falling to Cidgeth's true intentions ( godless world plus elven genocide). I somehow forgot to mention this important detail ( although you could have pieced it out with your sleuthing prowess). Cidgeth respected Tecig and he upheld his promise until he was literally killed which triggered Cidgeth's true powers and intentions.

I won't comment on the last bit for the time being. All that I could say is to have patience. We are almost at the end. Also thank you for your clear enthusiasm to my quest. Warms me heart everytime.

Everything had gone to the gutter when the following had occurred :

- Soldier of Misfortune ( Keon): Jerthal was the new flesh puppet for Keon, he was in full control over this marriage, The director as well as Dyadidaud and the MLH were on his list. He was much more powerful than the Shapeless Baroness merging both worlds together much like the time Lez did the same with the anchors except this time, HE was the anchor.

Needless to say, horrid monstrosities roamed the land. Some were shadows born from SoM's thoughts while many others were unfortunate souls who get fused with something or someone from the other side

- Pride ( Judge Cidgeth) : To protect the city states from the sheer madness outside, Pride erected a giant beacon around each major city state. All the elves were mind controlled ( with an exception of J's friends and acquaintances and any living elven sin) and they were empowered enough by Cidgeth to be able to face the horrors beyond anyone's comprehension outside of the beacon's protection zone.

As for non-elves, they lived in a lap of luxury as every city state was transformed into a paradise with few selected elven slaves to serve them.

-Lake of Mud ( Oce) : Ruin had finally been reduced to a mere core right at the doorstep of Cairth. Movi, Paloa, Qekka , Laedras and other unmet siblings of Maq were lost in the process ( Qekka's life source was Maq's brother so it when perished, the child had died as well)

Laedras was a special case, her death would have meant a void which would absorb literally anything in the universe. Thanks to J's perseverance, the green ghost had learned more about herself and the nature of mortals allowing to turn the all-ending void after her death to a very powerful voidseed which would be capable of killing anyone be it man or god. She did warn J beforehand that this voidseed will also kill its user. If used against Oce or Keon, someone else does have to take their place so this precious item shouldn't be used until in the most dire situations.

As for Ruin, the lake of Mud would constantly spawn shadows of mud which were shadow like entities seeking a powerful flesh puppet for Oce's core.

-The Director : The son of Nede had it with everyone violating his rules. He realised that man and God must have no liberty or freedom to do such things. All must be imprisoned for their own sake. He gave his agents full access to all of the artifacts he had hoarded over eons to fix this mess once and for all.

All parties are going against each with the exception of pride who would not actively seek the MLH. The director had declared that the MLH would be arrested on sight, resisting arrest would allow the agents to use lethal force. - No gods, No masters: We take on EVERYONE with various means explained down the line ( doesn't have to be violent).

The Order we take on various parties is VERY IMPORTANT, The power vacuum created by whatever party will take out first WILL affect other parties making them much stronger than before depending on the way we choose to handle said party.

Both Keon and Oce having the most ramifications overall while Pride take the longest to resolve. Both the director and Dyadidaud are the hardest to reach.

The MLH were lucky to have their respite points readily available. Otherwise, it would been nearly impossible to go anywhere with so many warzones dotting the globe.

Of course, the RP was surrounded by Agents jacked up on powerful artifacts.

Facing the Future and Breaking the Cycles

“Free will is the freedom of mortals to make choices that are not determined by prior causes or by divine intervention” (Cairthster Dictionary). This notion has been praised by different mortals of every cycle for to live with free will is to live a life free of control by some outside force, a life free of imprisonment. Yet the only thing that a mortal expresses when they voice their belief in free will is their ignorance, for as long as history has repeated they have always been nothing more than a speck of dust in a cosmic equation. An equation so vast and so encompassing that not even the most powerful being in this universe, the “Gods” Keon and Oce, can be aware of its calculations and results, for they are neither omnipresent nor omnipresent. This equation goes far past the realms on both sides of the veil and here I, a mere mortal, will provide proof of its existence and how in its cold embrace life, despite its inherent flaws, will carry on ad Memoriam.

Mutation, age, and even death are all examples of the inherent instability of life, that the cells driving the being that is made of them are not infallible. But then I ask you, Director, what in this universe is infallible? Och, who has time and time again failed to create his perfect utopia? They may be imperfect and they may violate rules set for them but they are alive and they are here to stay. There is no use fighting a force that is greater than even the gods, but there is still the possibility to help it prosper. The cycles have always ended up in repeat failure because life is not infallible. After all, a “God” refused to witness the beauty that already exists before them.

While the passage of time may see it changes much like how life has changed during the cycles. While there will be high points and low points for society and life may even be put on the brink, it will come back, that has been proven.

Literally everyone was in shock and awe of J's well thought reasoning behind the notion of free will.

That was just a memepost based on the 'chicanery' copypasta. I hinted at it with the "I am NOT crazy" blacked out text from before. Almost thought to 'shop McGill as an elf for it, but decided against it last second.

Being more serious, I think it's clear we'll have to use the weapon on Keon for Golden Ending. Power level is 16/10 (1-10 scales are always so meaningless :P) and we have no hope in a fair fight. Pride, we can probably do a 'talk-no-jutsu' like w/ Director since he seems exceedingly reasonable. I mean, Pride's still batshit insane and his whole position of becoming a de facto god to pwn the concept of gods is contradictory beyond measure. But he's been pretty nice and will probably listen if we fulfill a few conditions.

The real question here is Oce, who's simultaneously degenerating and growing stronger due to power vacuum. Depending on how Julos goes, we probably have to deal with him next though.

And last thought, if we're going to leave Keon to the end (to auto-resolve w/ White-Weapon) we should probably cash in the Director's Agents for that, since the Power Level will be something insanely crazy I'd imagine even for the pre fight.

It wasn't long before Dyadidaud's replicas started to attack the MLH. They had both the strength and the speed to back it up. Dispatching a few of these bastards were pretty tough.

The reason for these ruthless clones raining from the skies was... well, Dyadidaud was in outer space sending a constant barrage of herself down in the battlefield.

As for how could they enter her space fortress, Lev had a couple of options. None of them were too optimal. Said options were:

-Fake surrender: Maq would surrender to the clones allowing them to take her to the real Dyadidaud. Problem was: The MLH have no idea whether they could hijack the teleporter or whatever. If the MLH couldn't come with Maq, She would have to somehow bring them to the space fortress. Very risky.

The only good outcome out of this plan was not having to use any of the MLH few trump cards to bypass the clones.

- LRB ( RP ): As Sloth, Lev learned of something very peculiar. Keneryth had once developed a very powerful experimental weapon against the flaming horn of the west. It was essentially a cannon with extremely long range. It wasn't used in the eternal war against their neighbour because of a really stupid mistake...the city state across the river wasn't within the LRB's firing range. Hothereth was simply too close to the gigantic Canon. The LRB was eventually mothballed and forgotten about.

Lev's plan was to use the last of her Amalgamites to operate and to create a giant Canon ball with an actual respite point in its core. The shot would be aimed at the space fortress so that the MLH could teleport there.

While the LRB was lightly guarded by the clones ( only a few hundreds at best) , the nearest RP is nearly two hundred miles away , every second wasted would further increase the power scaling of the remaining parties not to mention having to lug a stone bench for said period.

- LRB ( Void seed) : same idea as above but instead of using a respite point, the MLH would use a Void seed instead to wipe Dyadidaud for good. Lev was fine with dying in the process, death was an ' unknown frontier waiting to be conquered' . Dyadidaud took on Cidgeth by herself...she is very strong, but, is it worth to sacrifice a team mate to ensure her death?

- CSLF: Lev spoke of a satellite launching Facility in Cairth. She could use the last of her Amalgamites to both hijack and modify an unlaunched satellite since these thing weren't meant to have any passengers in them. While doing so wouldn't take long. The place was swarming with clones. The MLH might have to use a really strong trump card against the thousands of clones outside.

- Kaz's Absthane : the elf claimed that his powerful weapon can cut through space ( but not time) , they can go straight to Dyadidaud after a successful cut. However, Kaz said that he could take up to a full day to find that sweet spot to cut through not to mention that his weapon would break afterwards. There was some hesitation in his voice because he didn't feel like this was his weapon's true purpose.

- Artifact Juryrigging: Lev was confident that she could jury rig all the recent powerful artifacts they got. The only notable downside would be the three days wasted for her makeshift teleporter.

The Agents did clear the way for the MLH, fighting hundreds of bloodthirsty clones with their powerful artifacts. Meanwhile, Lez was setting the LRB. No more Amalgamites beyond this point.

The plan actually worked! The MLH teleported to Dyadidaud's space fortress where they had to fight a swathe of these bastards before reaching the woman herself in a very futuristic laboratory overlooking her clone factory.

" Welcome, welcome! " Dyadidaud greeted the MLH from the comfort of her office " I knew you couldn't resist running straight to your death!"

" Give up, Dyadidaud! Your false dream will end here! " J instinctively stood in front of Maq.

" Oh? Let me remind you that I took a punch from the collective children of the gods themselves and survived without a scratch. I will wipe everything out of existence... do you know why , hmm? "

" Because your very existence is a crude joke, you were the lab gyag of Yenv. He saw you as a tool. Nothing more. Sorry, I-i read through your notes..." Lev dropped some heavy stuff on Dyadidaud which caused her to flinch.

" It is the sad , sad truth. " She regained her composure right away " How many times did I have to die or to part with the love of my lives to satisfy the curiosity of Yenv? Not once did he care to acknowledge me! NOT EVEN ONCE!"

More clones were gathering at the lab's doorsteps but none dared to enter " What would you do if you were in my place? Wouldn't you just snap against your purpose and your cruel master? I truly hold no grudge against you or Veishu but I won't let anyone get in my way."

As the conversation was getting more and more tense, Lev slowly began to drift to the side admiring all the scientific instruments around.

" Is that an actual Xzton Deflector? Can it work on Devron particles too? " The elf was starry-eyed.

" Yes, A child's play to me. I wouldn't need anything out of the ordinary to built it." Dyadidaud gloated just a tad.

"uuuh, Lev? What are you doing?"

" I have read some of your research notes, let me tell you this : it is exceptionally rare to find someone with more innovative capabilities than me. It would be a shame to bury all that knowledge after we are... done with you."

" Kneel." Everyone had their jaws on the floor when Dyadidaud actually kneeled before Lev. Infus Ateii was no add-on, it was the one controlling Dyadidaud's actions.

" I had some time to poke around with your device and some of the vessels you left behind. The knowledge from the Amalgamites really helped too... I just wanted you to trust me long enough for my persona to confirm if you are using the same vessels I worked on. It also acts as an antenna for the pearl tiller.Ooh, I feel a little woozy."

" SSssh, you are too loud. Keep it quiet." No matter who hard Dyadidaud tried, she would obey the smart elf. She had been outplayed by a mere mortal.

Dyadidaud was subjugated but not fully beaten. Lev said that controlling Dyadidaud wouldn't be permanent since they would have to make one of these following choices:

- Keep her as she was , Lev had no killswitch but she predicted Dyadidaud would be able to fight for at least one big fight, two at best. Then, she would break free.

- Use the pearl tiller on her, extract her soul and leave it stored in the device. She wouldn't be able to cause any trouble.

- Extract her soul and ship it to the director, surely he would have some reward for catching the Elusive Dyadidaud

- Extract her soul and used it to pump an ungodly amount of clones, Dyadidaud would cease to exist but her new clones would be unstoppable.

-Release her? Perhaps there is some good left in her. As an amnesiac Julos, She saved the MLH on numerous occasions. She would need some SERIOUS convincing first though on the nature of souls, how to break from her cycle of hatred and ultimately, forgiveness.

The MLH began their final assault against Ruin leaving Soldier of Misfortune to the director. There was this little problem though, The shadows of mud were in the thousands, some of them were fighting against Pride's army while the rest were stationed around the core. There is no way that the MLH coul-

" Need a ride? " said someone before landing before them. It was none other than Wrath...

...and Greed and Gluttony.

The trio were on top of a winged creature made from gold. The black wolf looked very weird, what is that behind her? A persona??

" How did yo-"

" Not the time, get up here!" Gluttony summoned an excess amount of food inside the incoming shadows of Mud only for them to burst from a lot of roasted gyag while Judge Nethoriel buries another horde under a hailstorm of gold. Time for take off.

The MLH were amazed, the same sins who tried to kill them a while ago came to their aid. How did Wrath have a persona though? Last time they saw her, she said that she was going to work on a project. Could this be somehow it?

" Here is a good spot." By now, most of the sea had receded away allowing the lake of mud to stay true to its name " We will hold these guys off. Take care of whoever is making these monsters."

The trio flew off, leaving the MLH to face what was left of Ruin alone.

" This is it, guys. We can't fail now." said J while staring at the ominous orb in the distance spawing more shadows of mud at an alarming rate.

" You should let me deal with the riff-raff." Kaz drew his glowing rapier " Head towards the core and weaken it, Ruin should have very little strength left in him."

Only Kaz and Maq had celestial ascension. J could was aware that Kaz was right but he couldn't just leave him by himself .they were running out of time so they had to act fast. Lev was also defenseless on her own so they had to take this into consideration

The MLH were split into two teams, the first team would face the core directly while the rest would take on the shadows of mud.

It was basically J and Naviesh versus Ruin's core ( Lev didn't really count). The odds were against the human and the pixie. Their conventional methods of attack were near useless against this cosmic entity.

Naviesh had to save her overwhelmed hunters. Anger, Fear, Depression, Joy... all manner of emotions were unleashed in for of distorted pixie dust over and over in her air tight suit causing an endless loop of her body absorbing and releasing the pixie dust until Naviesh had turned into pure Moonless energy inside her hollow suit.

The MLH weren't aware of who or what was carrying them out of harm's way. These were the last commands given to her soon-to-disintegrate persona.

One final strike for the sake of the Moonlit Hunters who meant everything to this once broken pixie. Naviesh had escaped death once, that was good enough for her.

The shattering strike didn't kill Ruin's core but it was good enough to weaken it. The lake of Mud along with every single shadow were dragged into the Abyss by many skeletal hands. The director's was finished with Solider of Misfortune as well. Her wandering abominations were no more.

The skies held two cores , the god of law and the goddess of Chaos. Each one was engulfed in a ball of bones. In a flash, both imprisoned cores were phased out existence saving the world and future cycles.

J cursed himself for the millionth time, his tears dripping on the damp ground. He shouldn't have barged in with such a weak team against the core, If he split the teams evenly ( one ascended hunter on each cycle ) , he could have averted this tragedy that claimed another Moonlit Hunter.

Dozens of drones were broadcasting the final clash between Judge Cidgeth and the MLH.

The MLH had finally engaged in combat with pride who was still holding back. A surge of confidence washed over the MLH as they heavily beated Cidgeth with their strangest attacks together...

" Can't you see? " golden blood started to drip from Cidgeth's mouth " I can't be harmed in my perfect world, I told you the people worship me. I AM their hopes and dreams, their ambition and will... You are powerless against me."

" Missed me? " a rain of golden spears has descended up the Judge followed by ripples of Moonless energy from the Black Wolf. The finisher was a meteor made from burning... chocolate? The trio had returned to the rescue.

To the horror of the MLH, Cidgeth burst out of the burning meteor. It only took him a single flick of his finger to obliterate Gluttony, Wrath and Wrath instantly.

" Can you feel it in your bones? The end is coming for you. My dream of Justice will NEVER be compromised by the likes of you. Do your worst."

Cidgeth stood still while the MLH used every trick in the book, all wounds would vanish the moment after! desperate times call for desperate measures. J was willing to use the Voidseed at cost of his own life when Cidgeth simply snatched the seed with lightning speed before turning it to dust.

Cidgeth was unbeatable.

It was very faint at first but the MLH could hear what appeared to...cheering?

Though few in numbers, all those people across the world who were saved by Moon Requests as well as of J friends were rooting for him and the gang. This was enough to grant the gang some extra oomph to face Cidgeth using the same powers he kept abusing.

Just like that , Cidgeth dropped on the floor. His still body would twitch moments after, golden arms began to sprout out of his body followed by fused faces and bodies.

Soon, the Moonlit Hunters were faced with a goliath made from the rest of the remaining sons and daughters of twelve/None. This uncontrolled abomination was about to consume all.

" Well, that's above pay grade. " Tecig chose the worst time for another quip but he was right.

" Hey ugly: Catchphrase." The collective persona of BOTH J and Tecig grabbed hold of Pride's remains before tearing it limb from limb. The Golden remains were suspended in the air so the city state below wouldn't get destroyed.

The world was finally saved.

" We got two cycles fused together. Uppity elves somehow blaming it on non elves for the mind control and the chaos that will follow not to mention the very dangerous powers that you and me have."

" Right." J sometimes forgot that he was as dumb as a rock " What options do we have?"

" We could do anything, We can rule the world together making sure true justice is a thing all city states, we can turn back time and wipe out the memories of everything that had just happened... including our very existence.

" What? Why??" J was taken back by this suggestion.

J had other plans , Tecig agreed stating that he would prefer if J took the spotlight. No one really needs to know about their partnership. This was more that fine for J. For that point onwards, Tecig wouldn't have any saying about what the Godless God should and shouldn't do.It was time for change.

J had to first reunite the World under his divine banner. Most city states complied seeing J as their sole savior against the sprawling interdimensional horrors which was the outcome of fusing two cycles together. Other city states weren't too keen on having a mere human puppeteering a false idol. They fought this tide of change with everything they had. How did J respond to these unrulybcity states?

It was a very slow process but the world was fully under his control. The price? Millions of arrogant elves who refused to bend their knees dooming their city states.

J couldn't implement world wide changes or he would die with his persona so entrusted the few pockets of civilization with the rest of MLH and others who rose in his eyes.

Yes, pockets of Civilization. That was the outcome of J's world. It didn't prosper or bloom, rather it was in a very slow decline for thousands of years because of these unyielding horrors. No matter how many of them were slain , others would fill the ranks.

Granted there were some years of peace with manageable hordes of these horrors but the constant struggle for survival would haunt every mortal. Arable lands were scarce... hell, pretty much all resources were scarce.

J did his best to fortify the last bastions of civilization amidst the sea of horrors. One by one, the city states would fall as the horde became greater in numbers. J had to directly intervene on numerous occasions but even he couldn't fully destroy them, the horrors always came back.

Cairth, Maq, Tecig, Kaz, the whole cycle... gone. J was alone in the void, he was a husk of his former self. His almighty power couldn't save anyone.... J didn't even have the mental capacity to end his life. His pitiful existence kept waiting and waiting for the new cycle which never came to be.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and everyone of you for following me in this messy journey full of hiatus and too many grammatical mistakes. It has been unreal. Your kind words and tolerance for my blurp was more than just some (you)s dopamine rush, It was quite the motivation that I sorely needed when I ran through some really difficult times. We made our own persona/SMT with many ups and downs , it was ours m For that, I will cherish the time I spent writing this quest for as long as I can.
