You are Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahthiri. Ruarua, Captain of the Something Fierce. Defeater of a titan.

You are barely able to stand.

You lift your head to the sky as rain starts to fall.

To think just a year ago how things were compared to this.

You begin to inhale.

You clap and stop your feet.

You begin to utter a Hakka for those few who fell. It's supposed to be moving. It needs to be beautiful and sad, from the soul. You sing of those few who stood beside you. Those brave chain breakers, who came to battle merrily, on a different planet to die.

You call out each of their names.

Your voice then rises.

You sing out the names of those who stand. Those whom stood beside you.

Your brothers.

Your Uncle

Your Honor Guard. With a single shout and stomp you stop.

"You win." A long bellowing horn calls.

You hold up Meera.

"We defeated that thing?" She says with a cough. And you nod and hold her. She was there.

She was there and she held the line with you. In this moment, despite her scars and the cuts and burns she is beautiful. A vision of a hard won victory she smiles as Erihapti keeps up with you as you walk to the titan. You give her a kiss and she looks up at you.

"I can walk you know." She coughs.

"Ya." You say and you help her walk the rest of the way to the titan.

Your brothers are happy as are the honor guard. They are briefly stricken by the injury to Meera. They are also wondering how you can even walk. Perturabo speaks of "Statistically impossible for you to be moving right now."

The shock of the older version of you is still haunting. Something was so wrong about him.

That will not be you. You will not share that fate.

The ride up to the Something Fierce is fill of joy, you are met with smiling faces, though there is some sadness for the dead.

You realize, there is still somethings that must be taken care of now.

The next few hours are a blur. Even for you. Multiple crew members- including members of Roboute's Legion need medical attention. However, ironically on scans you - yes you ya big dum oaf- have the worst injuries and are most dire of attention.

Yes- your body heals.

However, you are at a point where you need medical assistance. Lightning doesn't hurt you but energy and physics have bit you in the ass. You are gonna have a nasty scar or two. Armor saved you a lot of issues. If you weren't you, you'd be ash.

You'd be dead.

Gella is able to help get you the point where you can get to work on the rest of the crew. Meera first. You saved her life by soaking most of the damage from the blast. Also all electrical energy absorbed by you prevented her electrocution. She is going to need a lot of work to get back to where she was. Worse- some scarification on her face. Her face is still beautiful, but she will not be the same. There are scars all over her body. Her da may try to kill you. Honestly, maybe he should. When you get back home, the old man may have something that can restore her completely, but she is going to be hurting for the rest of the trip.

Your Uncle, whom was brought up and put into the "Emergency Only" healing bed is doing much better, and after use with what you have he is fine for someone his age. The other chain breakers, that lived, are more or less in better condition.

You have noticed something though,

There was a higher survival/ lower injury rate in those with the isle tattoos.

"Brother!" Perturabo shouts as you walk over with Deliah, he then smiles at her and you. You head over

"You have helped me win a great boon for my planet."

"The titan or your freedom from the black judges?" You ask

"Both, though I suspect the Black Judges are not completely gone." He says without a note of doubt.

"I will take you down to Olympia when you are ready." You say and he gives you a small appraising look

"You are leaving?"

"I will be returning, I have to collect some elements from here and help save a life."

"Ah. You had mentioned that, I have no issue you with collecting what elements you need. Though I was wondering if I could take some of the ships that were captured with me, if it isn't too much of course." Perturabo says and you smile.

"Of course bruddah." You say putting your hand on his shoulder, and he returns the gesture. Roboute says something to Perturabo and there is a hug.

The trip back planet side Roboute is absent, he had matters to attend to on the ship. Probably debriefin his troop.

"Commander Guilliman, we have been authorized entry into the interrogation room, well- you have. After some serious negotiation with the guards." Carbulo tells you.

"Good. We need to know what was such a threat, and what caused my brother to act as he did." You tell him.

As you enter the interrogation room, there is a strange noise from one of the cells, and laughing that is horrifying in another. Your brother didn't really explain what these places where for. Then you see. The being is massive, more scars than you have ever seen on any man and yet familiar. He looks like Kolinaisi. Only older.

And when he sees you his eyes light up.

"BROTHER!" He shouts.

"I- Who are you" You respond and he sighs but still smiles

"In my time, you were my best friend. In this time, I guess you would say I am Kolinaisi, but different. But you- you are the same. You lookan all smart." He tells you with a smile and a grin

"This is confusing to me. Why did you fight Kolinaisi. Why- are you like this?"

"That is a long story, but nah. I have a message for ya from da future." He tells you. Kolinaisi vaguely mentioned this- issue. Time Travel - strange. This 'Brother' of yours, saying he has a message for you.

"From whom?" You ask, just playing it out and he chuckles. He pops his neck and chomps his teeth. A vision is projected from his eye. The figure is heroic, yet looks troubled with a trillion trillion burdens. He looks like everything that you should or could be.

"I don't know how to tell this to you, or if this will make it to you. I trusted this to one of my closest friends, not sure if it would actually happen. I am you. In the future. Within this recording are two options- one, you listen to what I tell you of the future, two- you do not. Personally I can understand if you chose not to. I will say this. Help your brother. "Whadya say Rob, glimpse the future?" The prisoner asks you

"The future is unwritten, I do not wish to view it. However, you claim to be a good friend and brother, yet you strike at yourself, thus preventing us from developing a friendship with the younger you. Why? Your actions reek of deception." You respond.

And to your surprise you see actual hurt. He looks damaged from your words. He looks down and sighs.

"You were the only one who had given me any kind of recognition. You and I, thick as thieves. ya righ. Problem is there is much that is demanded with my curse. Ya gotta understand. The eleventh primarch- never lives that long. Ya tried. Rob. Ya the best there was, ya should have been war master from what I saw. Sha. What would ya mudduh tell me. She'd probably frikasee me alive. I promised I would never harm you that is why I went after me. I thought- poorly. Sha. Look at me like this. Still after all this time" He tells you and he seems a bit broken up.

"Nah. You don't need to see the future. Cos it's You. Just do your best bruh." He looks at you and sighs. He then coughs repeatedly and blood comes out.

"What of the younger you? Do you have advice for them?" You ask him.

"He has things sorted. Older you told me to tell him to not give up hope, and have faith in his brothers. Have faith in his men. In the future, when I got expunged- You took care of them after I fixed the gene flaws. Well most of em. One chapter sort of did their own thing. Though older you has advice for him in the same way too. My advice for him is for him to stay close to you. We were good together." He tells you in a very sincere tone. You realize, that he is hiding something, but it's something you don't want to press. And then he looks at you.

"Much will be asked of you. I cannot begin to describe what will be asked of us, I wasn't there. I jumped through time too much. I failed you brother. Keep to the accord. Maybe, when my time runs out, I can redeem myself." He says and he begins coughing. With that you pause.

"What do you mean?" You ask.
>>
>>5393588
"The Eleventh Primarch is cursed. Ask the one whom made ya sometime. Ya'll functionally immortal. Not me. We have a clock. Flame that burns twice as bright last half as long. You ask why I attacked Kolinaisi? I was attacked by Kayro Malico. Who I had to defeat in single combat with a fucking Tellurite Dagger and my wits. He had a fucking heavy plasma cannon, a power dagger and a fucking necron void blade. Before he died in my fucking arms he gave me a book and told me the end is coming soon. Eventually Kolinaisi, will know it. The clock will tick and he will hear it. I can tell you the exact day I will die per clock unless I die first. Every eleventh primarch follows this path- but something is different about him. I can fucking sense it. He beat me when I had a fuckin psycannon and some of the most powerful weapons I had ever made and gotten. I think every trip we get stronger. Maybe this time- he can defeat fate. Maybe it aint in stone." He says and he coughs more. And grins.

You look at him and nod.

"I may come back to talk later, but I am not sure what Kolinaisi will do with you." You tell him.

"If he knows whats good for him, he will leave me here. But I think he will kill me." He tells you.

"I know Kolinaisi. From what I have done with him, he doesn't kill pointlessly." You say and he rolls his eyes.

"The first needless and pointless death is the hardest. Ya a primarch. You gonna send more to their death, and especially you, than you can calculate. And believe me, I know how good ya are at math. You are burdened with a purpose more noble and great than others, people are going to die for ya. Some without purpose. Some needlessly." He tells you and it's like a blade has been shoved into your stomach. The words physically hurt you. People will die needlessly in your name. More than you can calculate. Because of your glorious purpose. You look at him, and you leave the room.

Who knew.

Words could be more powerful than the mightiest spear.

--

"Kolinaisi. Thank You. You have helped me save my family, and you have given me an opportunity to understand others better. I wish you could help with what has to be done next, but I think this world will be better soon. I shall build. When you are ready, I will help you on your planet. Collect what elements you need from here to save your friends life." Perturabo says, and you can see why he will not be joining you.

He has a lot to do.

It saddens you a little. This brother, you can sense you have a lot in common, and you want to see him develop.

"Ayo. We'll meet soon. We need to have you make another comm so we can keep in touch easier." You say and he nods

"I'd like that." He says.

You hug him and he puts his hand on your shoulder you trade grips. It's a shame the rain spoils the occasion and gets on your face.

You turn to the mining vehicle. Nasi and Ur are waiting.

You get into the mining glider.
>>
>>5393590
"Want to talk about the prisoner?" Ur asks.

"Naw mate."

"He seemed familiar cap." Nasi says and your eyes widen and you nod your head.

"Aye Nasi." You say.

"What are we getting for the old man."

"Certain elements for hisself. It's hard to describe. He gave me a list, and I have to -" Ur puts up a hand as you take off the ship

"Nasi. There are certain humans that are a bit different. Like Koli here." Ur says and you give him an odd look.

"The Old Man, Martin, He's one of those. There aren't that many of em. Sometimes they need different things for medicine. Or in his case he built himself some crazy contraption to keep whatever is wrong with him away. And that thing is running out of power. The captain here is building the thing for him so he can do something to permanently fix his issue." Ur says- and you realize something, that part you didn't get. The Old Man is planning something- and you hadn't thought to hard on it. You had been lost in the present and thankfully UR has been around. To think the two of you haven't really known each other for long yet he seems to taken his oath to help you seriously. Even if that means thinking of stuff you hadn't.

"Yeah that does make sense." You say and UR shows the :D emote that has become more frequent.

"So what is he?" Nasi asks.

"A man of gold. A rarity. A vision of what a man can be if they fulfill their own potential to it's own end." UR states.

"So anyone can be a man of gold?" Nasi asks which is shockingly insightful

"Yes and no. Yes as a man of gold can come from any human walk of life, one in a trillion, more common in millenia past, but a man of gold isn't necessarily born. The Old Man, if my memory serves is the actual proof that someone can rise above their station and become something far greater if they pursue it with all their might. I could be wrong, but I have certainty if I had to name him I could." UR says and you look at him.

"How do you know that?" You ask as you pilot the ship towards the metals location.

"I have learned a lot over time. Some memory tricks help, I will teach you since I can." UR says.

"Can you teach me?" Nasi asks.

"You are young enough, it could work, if the Captain feels it appropriate since he is your guardian." UR says and you realize something. Nasi is practically ya kid with how you look after him, though he looks after himself, which is disturbing for his age. He should have had a proper childhood.

"Can I cap?" Nasi asks you a pleased voice.

"Aye. Anything Pyg teaches me they can teach you." You say and UR nods

"Why do you lie about Pyg being a robot?" Nasi asks and you turn to face him real quick and UR speaks.

"Mankind and AI had a really brutal fight. Humanity doesn't really take to kindly to AI. Did you eavesdrop on one of our conversations young human?" UR asks in a more robotic tone, probably for humor.
>>
>>5393595

"No. I can tell. I knew since he came on the ship and we met." That's odd. Nasi knew.

"How can you tell" UR asks.

"It's in your tone. You sound more like other machine voices." Can he hear it too?

"We are gonna talk about that when we are on the way back droppin off Roboute ok?" You say and he nods.

"Ok! How much metal are we getting?" Nasi asks as you have gotten over the target.

This is okay.

Nasi hearing the machine spirit is awesome. He knew his way around the dumper ship's machinery but this radically undersold his capability. I'm imagining group Tai-chi or meditation classes to grow that skill with Ur and Nasi and the image is adorable.
>>
"The way all this unexpected keeps happening around me, I think we should ask Perturabo for a bit extra just in case. 1 and 1/2 should be ok. But as much as we can extract with how little time we have. I should probably comm the old man to see how he is." You say and Nasi nods. You get the ship comm that Perturabo still has.

"Brother? is something amiss?"

"I forgot to ask ya if it's alright if I extract a little bit more ore than I need so that way if something goes wrong of if something is needed I can use it."

"Oh! Of course. I would understand that. Double the amount would be fine, so long as there is enough on this planet."

"It's pretty rare. I will just take a little bit more. You will probably need it a bit more than I do." You tell him

"I see. Thank you for considering that factor into your calculations. If you change your mind or need more in the future I will do what I can." Perturabo says in a tone that indicates he is actually relieved. You take that as a hint. He probably is very concerned about what his people can and cannot do. That's a good trait.

As you land the mining craft and begin to extract the elements from a nearby area that is thankfully not too far into the ground making this process easier than what you thought it would be, and Nasi helping with UR makes it painless and quick. As you get back up to the main ship, you realize you have one task.

Interrogation of you.

You see Roboute walk away nearby and you are tempted to talk to him, but he looks busy. Then again. he is brother, maybe he could use help.

Then you realize, the debrief!

You call everyone to the main captain room, which has gotten many titles and all those that can are.

Including your uncle.
Whom should be on bedrest. You may be the captain, but family is family.

"Roboute, tell me how things went?" You ask. He goes over in detail it takes about 5 minutes for him to fit in what would be an hour. And you look at your uncle.

"Uncle, tell me how things went?" You ask. He nods. And the difference is is immediate. The Chain Breakers basically, and you have noticed this, operate better with you at the helm they are more ordered and work more naturally and organic. Without you and working with Roboute put them off balance.

>> Train the Chain Breakers to maintain flexibility while having something that seems like orders- or at least guidelines. Granted this means they will be more like Roboutes legion, but he took less loses.

>> Work with teaching them strategies and tactics as a team. The would work more fluidically and it will mean a lot of studying but it should work well.

>> While it would be extremely taxing and take a lot of the return trip- if they could all be taught to an extreme as individuals, while learning the best tactics, it would allow for them to still do what they do best and maintain group cohesion.

You talk to with the chain breakers. First you decide to have them nominate leaders, beside you, to act as leaders in combat. Then you inform them that they are going to be learning strategy and tactics.

They nod and seem interested, though the fact that "TYBRO" and "CHARON" show up as leaders despite them not being here is something to note.

Also note worthy when why you ask "Why no frank?" There is chorus of laughter and "Whu he a chain breaker? I thought he was our fire support?!" From your uncle. The selected are Tybro, Your Uncle, Charon and Dario- one of the originals whom showed himself to be really good in combat.

The discussion last for a while on what they would like to learn in strategy in tactics, and a general response is "More" and "what works." Which is the usual go with the flow attitude of the chain breakers. This lasts a bit but afterwards you dismiss them to quarters.

After that you go down to the interrogation deck.

You realize Roboute is standing outside talking waiting for you, and you realize something else.

Thunda you got people to interrogate.

1. You. Or they says they you.

2. The mother of horror from Luna.

As you are debating sticking to the plan- you also realize you may want to let Your creator- the emperor of mankind epsilon and the old man in on this. Which means you are going to need to play your fathers game of stoats and chickens. Keepin one away from the other durin the interrogation without the other gettin free.

As you are paused in thought about all you had been through Roboute, your cuzzie and UR approach.

Stoats and chickens.

Roboute feels bad about interrogating your future you and has information he want's to share- however you feel that may taint the interrogation and what they may say

>Have Roboute talk about it after Y/N

If we are going to interact with the women it has to be with the emperor present as we also have her bound up and gaged to ensure she can't talk or move upon request from the emperor who only gave us a vague understanding of what she has done before she created the ganth, unconscious, and bound to ensure she cant move
if we release her to talk, we have know idea of what she can do and have been warned to never release her or physically or verbally interact with her

2. Ur, we'll consider building him a psy-cannon if he can manifest a soul first
3. Interrogate You
4. Compare notes with Robust Gorrilaman
5. Chat with Old Man, we got the elements!!
6. Ignore Genewitch of Selenar. She can get put on ice indefinitely, especially if she tries her psychic contamination thing bullshit again.

Winner winner chicken dinner you defused a land mine!

You earned a surprise bit of dialogue!

I'm hyped to see how this plays out
>>
You think and then stop.

Your father specifically told you- DO NOT TALK TO THE GENE WITCH.

Why would that thought even come to mind?

You were told the exa- Oh no.

"Cuz. Love you but something is very wrong."

You open the door, and future alternate reality you is trying to communicate with the Gene Witch.

"OI RUBBISH STOP." You shout at him and he looks at you as it is clear somehow the Gene Witch could communicate with him without words. You only briefly observe the Gene Witch whom was able to move a portion of her body. Great. You are gonna have to move the few prisoners you have. The weird beast, and what two people?

"I JUS MAKIN OW OW W" You pull his ear and remove him physically from the brigg like your da would have had he been here. You realize he was still tied to the chair. And his ear looks fairly damaged.

You then seal off the room. And then summarily put the future you in a broom closet.

"Wha-"

"Rob make sure nobody goes in there brother. Nobody. Not even me. Especially not me, but not until we move the other prisoners in there." You say and he nods.

"Pyg, you and Nasi get to looking at securing the area around the brig make sure there absolutely no way anything can get in or out besides oxygen and even make sure that gets filtered. Rig up the pneumatic tubes to deliver food to the room through the old message containers, fabricate a drone to deliver her food if and only if she needs it. Pyg, you are the only one I can really trust to monitor the room." You say and URs emote changes to :^| which is new before UR gives a salute and marches off.

"We will talk later!" You shout to UR and there is a wave.

"Cuz what is wrong?" You ask.

"I volunteer to go to Nuceria to pick up frank if we have to split up"

"I -"

"Cuzzie listen. I really care about him. He has been nothin but a good man to me even though "

"We have to get to the old man. He is dying. I will consider it, but I don't know where we gonna get the crew needed for it. Maybe Titus or Nazca would know something." You say and she nods

"I will go talk to them."

"Cu" You try to finish but she leaves. Great. Some powerful being you are - granted your family has always been strong willed.

You sigh and walk towards what you realize is the broom closet, which has the Inertialess drive engine in it. Which Future you seems to be in awe of.

"HOW THE GOLDEN THRONE DID YOU FOOKIN GET THE FOOKIN RUMI"

"Golden- I- What?" You say a bit exhasperated with all that has occured today

"THE FUCKIN RUMI. One of the greatest small ships to ever exist. My father, a rogue trader searched his entire life for it- and you fucking have it."

"I Commandeered it from some Gantha slavers" You just calmly say as you pull up your 'thinking stool' which is actually probably a support repair jack for the engine.

"A skilled pirate I see! You probably took a few more ships before this. Only a skilled pirate could "
>>
>>5399202

"First. and I am a privateer not a pirate. Second, this was the first ship I captured, which I largely did with assistance from the others on board. Third, this is my interrogation of you. Not your interrogation of me, and Fourth I aught to space ya FOR TALKING TO THE THRICE DAMNED SELENAR GENE WITCH HERSELF!" You roar at him in the same tone he took to you.

"There it is. Just a reminder the Machine Roar don't work with you or I lad. It'll work on your brothers though, but only a little Fookin Leman didn't seem to enjoy it. Your sons- eh, but on space marines ye. Baselines humans Ohhhhh yeah. I think it even worked on a few custodes. But on me? Nahh lad. You can do that all ya want but ya'll only upset the machine spirit of the Inertialess drive behind me. Ya. Mate. She started talkin. Be rude not to talk back." He says and you roll your eyes and look up and shout.

"How do I turn out to be such"

"Is that part of the interrogation? Cause I can tell ya. I can tell you a thousand times. Or you can read the journal of every eleventh primarch that has come before you. Or you can ask future roboute, but I haven't the foggiest what he will say to you. You know your brother Roboute turned down the opportunity to talk to his future self? I didn't see that- but Rob is a good lad. You need to stay close to him. Now I haven't eaten in a fookin week and that fight took the fire outta me so I aint gonna co-operate unless I get a hot meal, or cold meal. Heva I'd settle for long pig right now." Future you says with a voice that rings with more truth than you have ever heard from a rubbish man. At least the part before eating. You also understand what long pig is the instant you think about it and are shocked by that statement.

"I will consider it. I got other questions though." You say turning on the comm "And answer these with gusto."

Interrogation first phase: Pick three

>> Ask about future Roboute, it may be good to see what he has to say

>> Ask for the Journal, it would probably be smart to take that.

>> Ask him, in all honesty, what is wrong with him?!

>> Ask why all this has happened. Explain in detail.

>> Compare notes. Ask him about how he handled things you did- which he likely didn't do- to find out more about his attitude.

>> Ask him what your father would say

Disappointed with a strong hint of sarcasm.

You sigh. You fucking done with this. You can't really have any attitude with this. Your tired, anything would come out as sarcastic or flat anyways. You'd almost ask Jerah for his pipe or Titus for the 'lo' stick he smokes or whatever frank puts in his mouth. You can hardly react to this without screaming, but just being near him is exhaustive. And you have fought all matter of being today and planned a freaking invasion on the fly.

It just comes out, despite you having the old man and epsilon on.

"Seriously what is wrong with you." You ask and you can swear, some how- you hear the old man snort. And he looks at you flabberghasted.

"I don't think any v"

"I don't give a damn about which version of who or what is in that little book or what line of goat shit you're going to feed me on that. Tell me- honestly, mate- what the is ya damage. I have met Gantha that make more sense than ya." You say, and your words look like they did more damage to him then any backhand or strike.

"What?"

"Did you like fall out of our capsule/pod and bump ya head? Can you help me understand what got ya to this point. How."

"Shit no wonder ya get along with perturabo. What's wrong with me? Well for starters I exist differently than you do as I fucking accidentally altered my soul and body by grabbing what amounts to a doomsday device for the galaxy, except being somewhat human or whatever us primarchs is I get shunted, though about two years ago I started to be able to manage to control it enough but can only really go to weird places in time where I had been. Low and behold you were on a planet I had been to before. So I shunted there. As for biologically? Well if my gene seed is any tell- my legion is like lemans, we take some time. Our actual best window is between 20-30. Which makes it even more dangerous, so we have a higher attrition rate, but that doesn't really matter since you know, kids before takin in. Which is similar to vulkans legion. We also get sharper teeth. Before me showing up there were other issues, but most of us don't take damage from electricity, none like you though. Let's see here list of damages. Messiah complex, that's a fun one to learn. Imposter syndrome effects some of us. It's a coin toss for being selfish. But- and don't tell daddy- the main thing that makes me different from the others?" He says and motions to you to come closer and in a whisper.

"Our plumbing works. That's the real gift our father gave us. We can have kids. Horus couldn't. Sangunius couldn't. I had 3 kids. They all end up somewhat perpetual, one was a blank kinda. Course when I got expunged I think they may have gotten killed." And you immediately shout

"YOU CAN HAVE KIDS, AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?!" And you hit him. It's so reflexive and fast that you don't even see or stop it and he is knocked to the other side of the closet.
>>
>>5401054

"WEW! YA STRONK! FUCK! THAT RIGHT THERE WOULDA MADE VULKAN FLINCH! WOO! A LITTLE HIGHER AND YOU MAY HAVE KILLED ME! YOU ASKED WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME! THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH ME IS I INHERITED FATHERS HUMOR, HIS ABILITY TO HAVE A KID, AND HIS FUCKING TENACITY. YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME, BETTER TO ASK WHAT'S WRONG WITH YA SIBLINGS." He says laughing and spitting out a few teeth and some blood.

"What the hell did this to you in your childhood? What- what did you even do? How are you so different than me? Why are you so terrible? Were ya raised in a fuckin life raft?" And you have never seen someone get so stung.

"Ok, first off you fuckin pissant tribesman. I, if I wasn't even a fookin primarch, would have been a fuckin rogue trader. And heir to a whole fuckin empire. What did I do as child? I fucking ruled a fucking planet as my father, not some jumped up fuckin techno barbarian in a straw fuckin hut, would fucking teach me. When you were playing fuckin games with crabs or fish or whatever the fuck ocean critter you no doubt live with around your fucking deserted island, I was learning how to rule. How to captain a fucking void ship. How to fucking lead. The emperor didn't find me, I fucking found him. Not even fucking Horus can claim that shit. I piloted right up to his ship and when I fucking hailed him he knew it was me. Let that sink in. The rest of your brothers were fucking around while I was actually conquering the fucking stars. If the fucking stave worked, I would have not only stopped the fucking Rangda- I would have fucking won the galaxy myself." He says with a sneer. So calling him low class really irks him. Good to know.

"you said you had to replace me, but we're still here side by side. Or at least until you really jump the shark and do something you can't take back. So why are you here and why are you just so wrong about everything in this time?" You say and his sneer turns into a shark smile. He stands and pops all his bones. He is healed.

"Fun thing about being a primarch. I heal real fast. Yours hasn't fully developed yet." He says. You look at him calm, and grab one of the hidden counter board weapons you have hidden in every compartment. And when you pull it on him you realize, maybe you should be more careful with you let have access to the fabricator because it isn't the nice hand written from meera note that says "I upgraded it to an adriathic sword pistol" that tells you what it is. Nor is it the instant white of his eyes.

"A FOOKIN ADRIATHIC WITH A TELLURITE BLADE?! EASY. EASY. I AINT GONNA JUMP ANY SHARKS LAD." He says walking back.

"Continue." You say holding the blade to him

The emperor paused. Only Malcador and Ra Endemyon were present.

"I- I could be a grandfather? How did this happen? The odds of it were so absurd"

"It was an unrealistic possibilty that we didn't conceive. We would have had to make 2000 primarchs and the odds would have still been absurd. The question is what do you want to do with this." Malcador said.

The emperor thought deeply.

>> If it happens, discuss it then. It is his choice.

>> Be prepared to talk about it to him. Later. Who knows if he actually can and just this other timeline. Bring up your concerns when you meet. Him having a child, could change things.

>> Encourage him to. Just after the crusade. There will be time for children then.

>> Write in.

"Look lad. This happens. It's what we do. It's fucking fated. But every second you do this to me just makes it more confusing. This hasn't happened before. However- You have the same body as me. All I have to do is kill you instantly, and myself instantly using a hyper specific method which worked for one previous eleventh primarch, and I take over your body. The problem is that it severely limits your lifespan. But since ya medical doctor, I am sure ya got notes and I maybe able to fix that. However, it looks like you are trying somethin diffren. So I honestly have no idea how this plays out. I have looked at this book for longer than you have been alive, and I know for a fact this hasn't happened yet. The only things we got in common is we both primarchs, we both friends with roboute and we both know our way around a void ship. Cause what ever electrical powas ya have, are different than mine." He says.

The Emperor thought. "We will tell him in time. When we meet. But not yet." The emperor said and there was a rare smile. Something the other two had not seen, yet it was re-emerging lately.

You're tired, but you suddenly have a smug feeling that you realize your mother must get when she beats a point into you with a slipper.

"Lad, are you telling me ya not only dumb but have memories problems too? Or did I hit ya too hard? Ya saw me with Bob and Pert, and ya standing on the Something Fierce, or Rumi like others like to call it. I ain't just a captain, I'm a Commodrre, you don't get to brag about going to space to someone with a fleet. I AM A FLEET. THE FREE FLEET OF DE'LORMOSA. I also freed Angron, who knows wat would have happened to the lad had they did the weird surgery. You want to know what he's doin now that he's liberated his planet? Angron. Who's defending Nuceria from the Ragdan right now! After talking with whom I am almost positive is a brother by the name of Alpha who has been helping me along the way. When I got done I saw our red skinned brother while doing psyker surgery. Ya can guess who was standing right next to him. Our Father. Ya don't get to brag on me with one ship meeting him. I met him with a fleet trying to save a life." You speak and you see humility strike him so hard he slumps down.

"I. You- You saved Angron? From his fate?"

"His Fate? Let me see that book. And ya know what that artifact for time travelin too. Since you can't use it anyways." You say

"I can give you the book. I can't give you the stave it's part of me. It will return to it's origin when I die." He says.

"You wanna talk to our da? Here talk to him." You say tossing the Comm as you open the book. He looks at you absolutely shook.

"F-Father?" He stutters out. You are so livid it's hard to think straight so you look in the book.

Wew Lad.

You are almost mad you yelled at him.

The notes are- terrifying. This apparently is also a map to ANOTHER JOURNAL. You doubt he knows that though.

Half the time- the primarchs rebel against your father after some rubbish men named Erebus and Kor Phaeron, at least last time, causes Lorgar (one of the brothers who were kind to you) to basically cause the brother Horus to turn traitor. Horus- seems familar. He and you are alike. At least the last time.

The names change in a pattern (apparently next go round your name will be different though yours is different now because you landed on a different planet), but the patterns are always the same.

One of your brothers- falls and leads to others. You have strong relations with Roboute or his other named version and Horus always. And Alpharius- apparently Alpha- is almost always the one who petitions the hardest for you. Apparently Perturabo in other times never really gets along with you or anyone, and you think you can guess why. Though in the past he respected you for your 'mechanical skill and detail and mastery of fleet command.'

Oh the fate of Angron. Wew.

Ya smile. Ya saved a life alright. Ya may have saved the galaxy. Ya not even sure you could undo that kinda medical procedure in time.

"Of all the cadre that came with the primarchs, the adoptive fathers, the brothers, the brothers in arms, the teachers- the emperor did have one favorite. That was Kolinaisi's weird mentor the 'Old Man' of De'lormosa. A man of gold, and when the emperor saw him, he was happier than some of the hardest conquests. But there was a reason. Finding a lost old friend is one of the greater treasures humanity knows. And he found one."

-The song of the primarchs.

-Stand by me-
The old man felt a sting of pain and checked his battery. He hoped Kolinaisi was at least done gathering the minerals. He would have to be fast. He could hold on but eventually it would stop.

He was, one of the few humans who existed whom understood the perpetual biology. His father was one, his mother one. He- wasn't. At first. Using his own mental skill and will he was able to manipulate his own genetics to at least be perpetual in most sense. Or at least should. Till genetic disorders and errors that he had not accounted for attacked his body. He eventually was able to, with some help, understand what he should have done right, and how to correct his problem. Even when he could, there was the problem of fate.

But now things were different or so it seemed. The wind turned. It blew a different way.

"GAH!" The old man let out a scream of pain, his guise failing. His true self revealed. The pain, the sickness it was returning. But something older and stronger than sickness rose. The Ancient Will.

"WHO ARE YOU WHAT DID YA DO TO DA"

"RAVI YA DAFT FOOL IT'S ME."

"Cripes what why a"

"My body can no longer hold my disguise." the old man grunted standing his visage not his normally cheery self, nor the grump. He looked in intense pain he looked angry

"Rage. Rage against the dying of the light." He said in a dour tone walking outside.

"Ol- Ma- You really are Ratta-"

"Just Call me Martin for now." He said clapping in a style of a hakka then whistling something otherworldly. And The Leviathan rose from waves.

"IT JUST LIVES THERE NOW?!" Ravi shouted in fright and anger and The old man gently just made a tutting gesture.

"IS IT TIME TO FIGHT AT LAST?!" The leviathan bellowed so loud the trees shook and waves formed

"Not today! No! I need you to insure I live so that we may fight! Go and gather the crone you are the only one fast enough to get her and come back in time."

"BUT WE SHALL FIGHT."

"YA YOU OVERGROWN SPACE EEL. GO!" The old man wailed in such a powerful tone that the leviathan shuddered then did as asked.

"Ravi. You will be my witness. Call your son on the comm tell him to hurry. I may have just enough energy for one magic trick. This- this will make sure the kid finds us." The old man smirked and then clapped and stomped.

"You know, the Hakka. " He said with a shout to the ancient tone causing Ravi to look puzzled

"It Actually Has Purpose" He said in a voice like a choir.

"Rise! Victoriana!" The hakka complete and the gound did shake

"It is a Magic!"

"It is the souls own music fire!"

"No xeno has this!" He clapped

"It's the core of another."

"The Enuncia"

He said now hovering above the ground and Ravi stood his ground. As all his brave stock would, from then and forever. Brave men came of his blood and his adoptive blood. Those who would stand.

Ancient gold runes appeared around him and glowed the leviathan flew towards them
"Koli, my son- come home. The old man- he is- just do it. The island is floating, and he is doing weirdness."

"Say my name." The Old Man said in a voice of beauty and thunder

"Wha-"

"You know it. Say it. Say it over the comm so the whole galaxy hears it."

And Ravi Understood. He knew the names of the Hero. The First Great Man

"Martianian Son of Thomas the Longorian Archivarius, Ruatepupuke Kotahimanoingoa Tyberao"

"You are damn right!" The old man screamed eyes full of lightning and fire

"What kind of dumb old man loves like this." The crone shouted as she floated up to the now high up vessel that was one of the largest vessels made by humanity, and one of the most beautiful, or at least it seemed as if it was slowly being restored.

"Trazyn! The Alarm! Look at it, what on earth causes your abysmal antique paperweight to prattle on as it does?" Orikan pointed to the now glowing sphere.

"It is no paperweight. That is the Opticon Archiaus. That is the one of the few things that can pinpoint if the old ones magics were in use."

"Where is that?" Trazyn quipped looking at the orb

"It has to be an error. That - that is near the sight of a noctolith core source." Orikan said

"Does it have errors?" Orrikan looked over to trazyn

"Not since I have taken possession of it."

"Should we investigate?"

"I suspect not. If it's real it will good elsewhere and not be so sporadic. we should monitor it though." Trazyn said.

Lorgar snuck into the city with his friend, ever so carefully. "This festival, are you sure they won't notice us?" Lorgar asked. "My friend, you are so big camels cannot carry you, and they won't see you." His friend responded.

"Good point. Remember no killing." Lorgar said and the man nodded. Lorgar felt a little thrill to sneaking and the clandestine activity. "I appreciate art, but this is a bit gaudy. While I can appreciate the beauty of the actual piece we need- it's still not meant as-"

"The tip of a gigantic phallus?"

"Yes." Lorgar said and his friend snickered.

"It's just a short climb friend. We will be in and out of here before anyone does anything. "

"What even is this, festival of vindication." Lorgar asked.

"It's- well. Violent."

"In comparison to what?"

"Anything really. Their Erebus is supposed to challenge some exiled priest, named Kor Phaeron over the rulership of the covenant, or some such nonsense."

Lorgar thought. He wanted no more lives lost. Kor Phaeron, and this- Erebus.

"How violent?"

"One of them is going to die."

"If what happens?"

"The one who loses the argument dies my friend."

"Over their religion?"

"Yes. As you can see that's why the streets are dead near here."

Lorgar thought.

"What if someone argued that all this is nonsense. That this loss of li-"

"Forget it my friend. As charismatic as you are trying convince these savages is pointless. And while I am certain you would, they would both die as a result."

"Is there any way through said argument both could be spared?"

"If you could somehow convince them that the gods wouldn't want it. Why?"

Lorgar, knowing full well he was about to go argue with a crowd of fools in his mind, stopped. "You take it. I will keep them distracted. Who knows I may even save a life." Lorgar said.

"I wish the best oratory skills you can muster. I will see you at the meeting point. People don't need to lose life over this and maybe you talk them into giving us some of the weather controlling machines eh?"

"We will need one of those if we actually want the trip to terra to be somewhat more tolerable."

"I am glad you were not raised in one of these cities- can you imagine? 'oh I am Lorgar Palladeron I will not be participating in the manure shoveling or latrine digging. I will be too busy philosophizing and my search for truth is paramount and as a result I cannot be assed to help my friend with the camels' " He said to his friend.

" As much importance as the search for truth is, it isn't so ridiculous that I cannot help my tribe accomplish the great act of revealing the truth, or helping my friends with simple chores in the process." Lorgar said with a smile.

"Be careful! Flee if you must, despite you being big and strong."

"I will succeed. So will you." Lorgar responded.

As lorgar went off his brother tribesman considered these actions.

Kolinaisi looked at the book.

He first turned to Horus, it seemed important.
Horus Lupercal, was the primarch of the 16th legion Luna Wolves.

In 'His' time, because you are absolutely tired of the mental gymnastics of referring to some absolute rubbish individual as 'other you', He actually didn't meet your father first.

He met Horus, who was on the same ship. Horus was so excited to be the first to meet him, that he went and met him. Then Horus- introduced him to his father.

Horus, and his legion- were the darlings of the emperor of mankind. They were the first to take Luna, and Horus was the first found son of the Emperor, or well- there is a weird note about 'Alpharius' and 'potentially discovered on terra' which is an odd note. Horus, as noted by 'Him' whom you look over at. He's bawling. Good. Horus was the first found, from the planet Cthonia. He and you get along quite well. In the past you and he have similar strategies, and are both equally bold. There were many comparisons. Apparently in his timeline, Horus trains you before you take your legion. The pair of you actually successfully took a small subsector that was thought impossible- IRONICALLY- a sector near De'lormosa and the outer rim. Horus is supportive of you, and good council. Horus teaches you proper military doctrine and tactics, and 'He' teaches Horus proper void naval tactics and exploration, but for the most part the relationship seems to be somewhat beneficial. Horus, however is the only person who told you not to go looking for the time stave. Apparently 'He' should have listened to Horus.

It is also noted- that in the 'heresy' he is dubbed the arch traitor. After interdiction from Erebus (who is colorfully marked as various profane terms you can't really understand as the language is beyond you) he is stabbed by a blade with a cursed disease. This would lead him to chaos- well that and 'Him' thinks it is actually poor parenting by your creator (which he and Roboute agreed upon, which seems odd considering it was your mother that caused all of this last time you checked your camera. Then you turn the page and there is a sketch. Apparently 'He' can sketch good. And you recognize Horus instantly. He is the sad figure from the camera pod. He is the figure who cried and touched your pod. You read how the heresy happens. Your father kills Horus, utterly anhilliating his soul, but not without a heavy cost to him.

There is an appendix on Horus, and it explains a lot about them, but there is also this second primarch. You make a note to read more of the appendix later. You flip to primarch number two.

Cao Fien Lie Rhen.

"He of the ways of war" Writer of "The path of war, the path of life." and woooo. He a doozy. He is the third primarch found. He is also apparently the most serious of the primarchs. He has very little humor, and is exceptionally hypocritical, disguised as paradoxical. His legion has 'quirks' and he seems to be fond of using the regular military side by side his own. There isn't much about his personality as 'He has none. Just military, strategy, this 'inner calm' stuff and 'the eternal struggle.' He is apparently

"REDACTED" or expunged. Leeman Russ apparently is sent to fight him, and succeeds in killing him. The legion of his is rolled into the legion of Rogal Dorn, as they 'were very similar' though 'Dorn had more personality.' The reason for why the Emperor marked him for death varies timeline to timeline, but he isn't always executed. Most of the time, the Rangda get hold of him and turn him against the emperor. Then there is a time where he actually betrays the emperor because he was close to the emperor? Then there is one time involving 'Malal' though that version seems less of an asshat and isn't redacted. It get's complicated fast.

Rangda.

Angron.. That stings you nice and fast.

As the ship de-warped outside of De'lormosa, the members of the eleventh whom were selected seemed utterly confused. A paradise world before them, They were sent to investigate and potentially make first contact. The goal was to find anything that could point towards their father, but also anything of note. Sensors were going off like mad on on their scout ship. The eleventh was different than most legions in this regard. They had one 'large' ship but they had a small armada. These tactics worked well with their naval partnerships and their tactics.

They had to choose.

Huh. We have us a tie. That's ok. I will write it up tomorrow after work, unless something changes.
>>
You look at it. You figure you will flip through the two odd balls quickly.

The 0th and, well, you.

The 0th- is actually the least amount of information. It's written like a mad mans puzzle, namely that only half the time a variant of you would have to deal with it.

Essentially, while your creator was out unifying 'Terra' he created something very similar to what you are. Only much more powerful. It starts out great. Except that the more planets it conquered, and the more it dealt with the more the maddness took it's toll. Apparently any psyker powers, psychic weapons or magic would be reflected back upon those who would use those against it. It sleeps in a tomb somewhere. And in bold underlined and circled with multiple manner of pens is a note that says "UNDER ABSOLUTELY NO CIRCUMSTANCES GO LOOKING TO WAKE UP THE BLOODY THING. YOUR FATHER COULD ONLY PARTIALLY STOP HIM. DO NOT AWAKEN." with a little * next to one line 'unless everything goes absolutely fucking tits up and you have daddies permission' signed by one of the variants of you that actually seems to make sense.

The stories are kind of scary, even for you. Burned and razed cities.

In the encounters where primarchs and the angel square up- Which there are four second hand accounts and all end poorly, with only two times the primarch surviving. One Sanguinius, the other, someone name Ragnar. You can't tell whom it is.

Which is when you decide to look at, well yourself.

You. Yes you.

You have the most variance in names well you and the second primarch. And apparently also the most detailed.

Every eleventh primarch keeps records, meticulously. Which why one variant of you states that you and Guilliman have so much in common.

Your powers of electricity are almost always consistent. Sometimes you are a blank. Othertimes- it get's weirder.

Comparatively speaking, the story of the eleventh is usually like this.

The eleventh usually is found by a space farer or rogue trader maybe landing on a civilized world. Occasionally a death world full o tech. From your speed reading, the ones in this book, (each give at a page, there are a lot of pages) The eleventh usually has a rocky childhood, with rich parents whom despite getting a primarch as a child treat them like a pawn or just another bauble. Usually the eleventh is contacted by the emperor early on- though from what you see oddly your prior was very late to the game.

And every time with out fail, the eleventh is a master of fleet warfare. Which made his conquests early very fast. The eleventh, from what you read- at least from the comparison interview from other roboute- is the most tragic fall. The eleventh doesn't fade away. The eleventh, is a comet that blows up creating a beautiful meteor shower. Which while a colorful description of poetry worthy of your fathers book, shakes you.
>>
>>5409430

Because you- yes you ya big goof- Have done better than every other eleventh primarch thus far which makes you worried about being 'redacted' or expunged or whatever they say on the paper.

Not as worrying as the clanging near the engine.. That needs lookin at.

Every time there is a redaction, it is without fail due to you looking for one thing- The staff. Which has it's own handy segment.

However, looking at it, your legion usually has some genetic issue and the only way to fix it is by- the staff. Which seems dumb.

It's a time based artifact. How does that have anything to do with genetics or medicine? You look through the backgrounds again.

Rogue trader, Raider, Fleet Admiral, pirate you cringe a little, desert warrior, admiral, captain of a rogue trading vessel, salvage corvette captain.. And the racket near the engine highlights the next one- Ship mechanic.

Not a one of them medical professionals.

"No wonder they lookin for artifacts instead of a cure they all freakin treasure hunters." you say and then you hear it

Good. Maybe you can learn from their mistakes and listen for a change.

And you see it. A ghostly form that looks hauntingly familiar. A spirit even, yet clear. And it nods to you. This is the first time you have seen something like this.

don't make a scene keep on doing what you were doing, I'll keep quiet and we will talk

What are we- pretending to do?

Koli already read and heard him say about the heresy, traitors and loyalists, even read that Erebus and Kor Pahron made Horus become the Arch Traitor.
There's no need to be coy about T being for Traitor and L is for loaylist, since it's not metagaming anymore.
>>
Unless you meant that everyone that turned traitor had a troubled past, which is true, except for Fulgrim but that one Slannesh cheated. And some loyalist also were edgy too.
We should aim to help all of our brothers, not only the potential traitors. Not only because they are family, but chaos can try to corrupt other brothers instead. This one is metagaming though, because while Koli might have noticed Slanesh trying to corrupt him, we only know for certain that because of the OOC interludes.

Your mystery box path.
-
You decide to to read on Lorgar, as well listen you look the spirit in the eye area and give him the look your father gives when he is pretending to read something when he is eavesdroppin.

The spirit seems to distort in the face, a smile perhaps?

"I see. So you can listen, and you are wise enough to do so. Listen well friend. I am as much a part of you as that journal, in fact I am more than that journal. I am a gestalt of every previous eleventh primarchs soul fragment. Namely the part that splits off at birth, the part that is part of the birthing pod that saved you. I suspect it's stronger in you than any other, as you do have our talent for medicine and well-" he motions to himself and the spirit honestly looks more like you than well- him still looking shook up on the comm.

You give a nod of acknolwedgement. Lorgar, apparently is a primarch that has a split. Half the time there is a heresy he is either 1, the one primarch who goes all in on it or 2, becomes the most resistant to the idea and the most loyal. He seems to be hyper fixated on religion- most of the time. The few times he is not he is more likely to not betray- though this coin flip behavior usually is based on whom is in his legion-

"Going to tell you now. You are probably closest of all them, well us- to having a fighting chance at fixing the instability. That's what the issue is. Due to our split- and absorbing a whole ancient powerful machine spirit and combining with it, our genetic material and body start to have issues after we full grown. Though normally we think the temporal staff can fix it- it only kind of does, and kind of fixes the genetic issue of the sons. But- that temporal staff is not for humans."

Ahh, probably the reason why them metal skeletons are interested in you. You raise an eyebrow and motion for him to go on. Kor Phaeron and Erebus. The two problem children. One - makes you want to strangle him reading his normal arc. A child beater and manipulator not fit to be the father of a fuckin leech, 90% of the time Kor Phaeron when alive imprints his life on Lorgar. Definetly one to watch. The Second - Erebus, yuh. He is just a psycho and servant of the dark powers in addition to a murderer that back home would be made shark food and staked for the tide. However- when Lorgar is not affected by these two he is actually seemingly a good friend. Loyal and charismatic, he is also meticulous and dedicated. Which becomes folly when- oh. Well let's just make sure Roboute doesn't have to do that...

"The genetic condition you have- it can be fixed. Finding a geneticist up to the challenge is something out of the ordinary though. However you are one of the few primarchs who has the spark of creativity and the spirit of inovation, and are gifted in biology and technology. If you can't find someone- you could probably.."
>>
>>5411397
"Boy! Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahtiri! Son! Hear me! The Old Man is doing strange things and he aint doin so hot. He told me -" You snatch the Comm out of the hand of him and he looks murderous.

"Da- tell him we are on the way. Epsilon, we are heading direct for delormosa. Do you have any special requests for my" and you look at him and let out a sneer

"Guest."

"Under the circumstances have him go with you. There are, those among your sons who are en route to meet you." Epsilon says.

"Can't wait to meet em. Sure you are busy."

"I actually am. I will continue this discussion later." He says. You look at him and grab the comm.

"You have one of the most priceless treasures in the galaxy and you treat it like a walkie talkie?! A tachyon communicator!? Wats wrong with you boy?" He asks and the ghostly spirit looks concerned. You coldly walk towards the door ignoring him.

"BOY I AM TALKIN TO YA!" He shouts and your instinct reacts before you do to his attempt at a grab and you throttle him to the wall

"I MAY BE YOUNGER THAN YA BUT YOU ARE A MANCHILD PLAYIN AT BEING A PRIMARCH! NOW LISTEN HERE YOU LESS THAN RUBBISH MAN. I'D SOONER SPACE YA THAN TAKE YOU HOME BUT EPSILON WANT YOU ALIVE SO I AM GONNA BRING YOU TO HIM THAT WAY UNLESS YOU MAKE IT SO I HAVE TO COME UP WITH AN EXCUSE AND MAKE A LIAR OUT OF ME!" You shout and he coughs out a little blood but is not grinning. Something inside you tells you not to give in to anger.

"You- you called your creator the Emperor of Mankind some code name, and the fucking no name chieftain a father term. What in the warp is wrong with you."

And Kolinaisi spoke; and lo- the Emperor still listening heard.

--

And he spoke
>>
>>5411398

> "As nice as he is, and as good as he seems- aye, he made me in a tube and gave me life. But that no name chieftan who is a better man than you could ever dream of, raised me. Pulled me from a fucking pod in the middle of a hurricane. He gets respect for tha. This Emperor will hear me call him that when he earns that- no sooner no later."

And the emperor thought silently. What does it take to make a truly good man and father.

-

> "Aya. I call the man that raise me da. And I keep opsec or do ya not know what that is? Operational Security? What of it? How about this, what of the fact you were talking to the Genewitch of Selenar or at least tryin to, in addition to tryin to kill me eh? What do you think he gonna say then? 'Oh good job redacted son of mine on not only did you decide to try to kill yourself, cause a boat load of problems but you talk to the only person in the galaxy that you shouldn't talk to and you only been back a day!' Huh?"

The emperor taking stock of this new information, thought very carefully about certain information made light.

-

> "At least I have a real father! You had someone who kept you as a trophy. Look how you turned out, too. You must be so proud of yourself. I am sure if any number of our brothers saw ya they would wonder what the hell went wrong or if you outright turned to the dark powers of chaos because ya such a fool obsessed with treasure."

The emperor studied this. One of his sons already knew about the dark powers- yet openly despised them. He had to tread carefully.

"Aye. I do. And I know ya gonna stay in here while I straighten things out." You say and you double tap the comm for effect at him and a weird noise goes over the ship com. Good, you are gonna need to comm with the whole crew soon.

"You think any where on this ship can hold me?" He asks.

"Nah not really but I am gonna give Roboute my favorite weapon and tell him to vent ya if you do anything funny. And I am also gonna tell a cute little psyker that ya tried to proper kill me multiple times, and she is gettin really good with adriathics." You say and he looks gobbsmacked. You close the door on him and everyone looks to you.

"Pyg, Roboute, with me- walk an talk lads we got to plot a course" You say walking at a pace that would be full sprint for all nearby humans. You are just glad Roboute can keep up.

"Robbo, we will talk later, take my axe and watch, him. If he does anything funny vent him." You say and Roboute falls back

"There are other matters to discuss!"

"We will this is an actual emergency!" You say and UR keeps up.

"He was using psykana of the most forbidden types, amongst other things. He also slaved an AI to his armor. To be quite frank with all the dreadful things that were thought lost during the war of revolution- err- The machine rebellion and uprising."

"What else."

"I think I have a good design for our, other guest." He says.

"Nasi is fine. The girls are worried about Meerah, Meerah's pissed you only captured the titan and didn't slay it. She is also pissed at the guy who attacked you. She is safe in your quarters. A bit banged up but Gella gave her all the really good stuff you use so she will be fine with time. Your vitals, thanks to the monitor I installed, are somehow within acceptable tolerances despite just taking one on the chin from a Titan." Ur says

"I guess my creator knew what he was doing." You say as you walk into the main ready room where Jero Jerah looks at you and gives a salute.

"Oh no you don't ya stoat- you don't get to take a nap yet- we gotta get back to De'lormosa full freakin clip." You tell Jero and his eyes widen

"Old Man Martin is it?"

"Yuh Da called. He said he doin dumb stuff and now we gotta really go get to him."

"That's gonna be an issue." Your navigator says popping out of her side room

"Oh?"

"We got limited routes. We can go full clip and use that EM drive the whole time like you say possible, if we go true full clip, you gonna need to get a nap in soon because we gonna have to go to swing shift. You gonna have to navigate a bit more. And we aint dropping off Roboute or picking up frank because the only really fast route is that way. If we take that direct route which we are gonna have to warp in 20 minutes we will get there in 96 hours. We got another way and that's in four hours, that will add a whole day on but we have to choose to drop off Roboute and his men or pick up Frank. Full clip doin both is actually not much more but the route is wild as all hell. It will be a rough go. We can also take a window opening up in two hours- and it might be better and we may do more but it looks like the roughest go.." She says

PICK ONE.

>> Slow is smooth - smooth is fast. Call up the old man, see if he is fit, if he can talk and tell you how much time ya got. If he can't well it's time to go full bore.

>> No time for caution. Inform your cuz and Roboute about the matter. And go Full clip to save the old man.

>> Drop off Rob or pick up frank, just one. The old man talked to you about this.

>> Drop off Rob, pick up frank. You should have time.

>> Wait for the second window, it may reveal something before the other windows open.
>>
>>5413404
>> No time for caution. Inform your cuz and Roboute about the matter. And go Full clip to save the old man.
>> Once you touch down, hand over command to Jerah and tell him to pick supplies and reinforcements as quickly as he can and go to Nuceria, while we stay to help Martin
I'm pretty sure going directly back to De'lomorsa to fix Old man and pick up reinforcements for Nuceria was the plan all along, or atleast it was mine
As for Bob, he hasn't even gotten to fight a Xeno army yet, how we can say in good faith we taught him everything we learned to him?

You look at your navigator dead in the eye.

"Full. Clip." You say and she looks a bit flummoxed, but nods her head.

"Aye Cap." She says. Jerah looks at you then does the thing with his hands that he does when he is counting in his head.

"You go get a nap. I got a four hour shift, you got some sleep earlier, we then do a twelve set after a split." Jerah as says and the math checks out.

"You good Jero?"

"Just so long as you tellin ya cousin how this workin, I aint. I choose life." He says and thatis going to be an issue. You ponder that for a minute.

You do need rest. You and UR past the ready room he gives you a salute and passes by. You still have somethings that may need to be done and you can still get a small enough amount of rest to do a 12 hour shift as captain followed by an eight to cover for navigation while they adjust schedule, it will just be a really long shift, and a very hectic 96 hours.

>> Handle the issues now important things may come up at the start of your shift as captain.

"I know these things are capable of making dopplegangers, but I distinctly do not remember that gladiator smelling like cat piss." Angron shouted.

"Aye! We think that if you put enough stress on the localized mind they get some details wrong."

"So that's why that is getting worse. How much more do we have to fight in this damn cistern."

"The signal is mixed! The good news is the total number of signals are going down, so we know the total number is reduced." The kin answered. Angus, had so far been nothing but helpful.

"Good news is what this city needs. What we really needs more are reinforcements."

"WELL GOOD FREAKIN NEWS, WE HAVE AN ARMADA OF WARP SIGNATURES." Frank shouted over the comm

"Aye. They look imperial. Human. Good news for you laddy! The amount present they will likely dispatch with the Rangda right quick I ju"

"THESE ARE THE SHIPS OF MARS JUDGING BY THE PATTERN."

"st hope they aren't Martian. Right. Well! I think we best be going our way and if it's okay can we borrow that ship?"

"What we are barely even done fighting-" Angron said as the Leaguer blew a whistle and the others retreated as he let loose a few small items and typed something in

"We are now, those will take care of any rangda. I hate to use the little buggers, they cost a fortune and it aint exactly fun makin them!" He says

"Hold on, why are you needing the Ship Kolinaisi left us?"

"Because you got a ship yard that can make something better, here." Angus spoke handing a strange pad with a few odd ends on it

"Use that at the ship yard, which this will guide you to- you can make a few better than average ships that won't raise too much a ruckus for free. That old one just has a stealth drive the Mechanicum won't see as we get the hell out of here before they find us."

You walk in to the room, and you can already see that Meera is asleep on the bed, and Erihapti is asleep near the end of it. You hop in the bed and Meerah rolls into as she is fond of doing for what, you have assumed for most of your time as captain, as warmth. Now it's different. She clearly is attracted to you and has feelings for ya. Yet- well. Ya you. Ya frickin huge, and what 'He' said worried you.

Yet.

Your father. He raised you right. Hell ya practically Nasi's Da.

Meera aint bad lookin. Most of the men of Roboutes legion oggle ya damn honor guard like ya crew oggles a good score of treasure, or Jerah oggles a good bed after a shift. Meera was older than you, but ya freakin eight. And yet have complex thoughts nobody ya age should have. There is a knock at the door before you can even get in the bed. You turn.

"Cuz." You say

"Ya." Arona responds.

"It about Frank?" You ask opening the door

"Ya." She says

"We warpin, we gonna be home in 96. You and Jerah go get frank, I am gonna save the old man." You say she looks at the bed then at you and she gives an odd look as if to say be careful.

"You think this faster?" She asks.

"As long as we go full clip and I get the job done of a captain, then by my calculations ya." You say doing the math, and thinking about it- yeah. In theory, so long as your best navigator is on the job, and Jerah stays on with Yana, they could pull the warp to Nuceria and Frank significantly faster since the location is a known factor.

"Alright. I was mad, but with this it makes it easier." She says giving you a little hug.

"We still need to talk about my knight pilotin." Arona says- and she is 100% right on that one.

"I need nap." You say

"I need it too." Meerah let's out a faux whine and Arona peaks around your shoulder and gives a normal terrifying stare at Meerah who just smirks back with eyes closed. Ya cuz nods and walks off. You close the door and face Meera who is somewhat awake but she is smiling at you.

"Ya fake sleepin?" You ask Meera

"No you woke me up." She says then patting the bed, which you get on. She curls up next to you. And in act of surprisingly powerful humanity and yet simplicity, you put your arm around her and bring her closer to you. Her smile was always pleasant.

The Emperor informed those of his companions he would go among the people- in disguise- for a brief time.

He picked the disguise of an average height man, with a shabby beard and too long hair- honestly it was a bit much if it mattered. He stepped past many Arbites to simply observe as he did in the past.
>>
>>5419388

He wandered for a short while into an area that he could safely say was the bulk of his citizenry. At first he wanted to take the guise of a beggar, but realized that would likely cause more of a scene- so instead he acted as someone whom was lost. The first family he ran into, was actually re-assuring. He quickly realized the father was a busy man, but quickly found the man was busy for his children. He was in fact so busy the hurried man had little time for himself. He went on to act towards others, and a child directed him to his own father- a curious act. The man he met had two children and seemed to be a craftsman of somekind. The father chided the child for bringing a lost stranger to his house out of concern for the children. The Emperor talked with the man about his family. Apparently the wife died, and he had to take care of the children himself. He was only hopeful that with his hard work that his children would have a better life than he had. The Emperor took the directions of the man, and went onward in the direction he said to not raise suspicions.

"You can be assured you will be fine friends. You were brave heroes who helped me defend the city. And if they have any thing to say- well they have to go through me first." You say, and that gives a chorus of odd looks but they seem to nod in agreement.

"Ok. But we still want to try to find what we are lookin for. Your brother may have found it first. We would like to talk to him about it when we get a chance." Angus says.

"I am sure he would be fine with talking to ya considering all the lost tech you have- he and yours would probably have a lot to talk about." You say and there is increased interest among them.

You walk outside and see Gigantic Red Ships

And some robed men and women in red- whom barely look human yet very excited to meet you

"Greetings, child of the omnissiah. We would like to discuss some recent events with you." Well. That is straight to the point. You figure people in such ceremonial garb would be more- ceremonial.

-Honest answers...

Angron stepped forward calmly and observed those who were assembled. " You are aware of the Rangda on this planet right?" He told them.

"They are a threat yes, but one that the chosen of the Motive Force would likely have no problem with? After all who else could set off the Adrathic detectors and the bell?" One of them says. Angron paused and gave a side glance to the still wrecked portion of the city De'shea that had been used to slay the 'creature' that Kolinaisi fought for protecting the city and bringing the defenses on line.

Angron then in a calm manner, looked at his men whom also seemed relaxed, despite the nature of this tense visit. Angron didn't see the Leaguers who were hiding around a corner plotting and waiting to make their move, in case of actions from the children of Mars.

Angron instead sighed, causing them to look confused unaware that he was intentionally looking for a reaction.

"Tell me Martians- what do you know of what this 'Voice of the Motive Force' or whatever you claim would be." Angron asked.

"He would be attuned to the very machine spirit that the galaxy runs on. He would be able to accomplish feats of technology unachievable to any other. He would very likely not appear fully like you- many many cybernetics. We assess he would be like the old cybernautica auranica of the golden age or perhaps like the interrex or some Kin but more intergrated. He would yet be like you- a child of the omnissiah. A primarch." The lady in the robe said as her assistant rolled his eyes as many had a chorus of agreement. Angron focused on the one whom rolled his eyes.

"You- what do you think." Angron asked and the being slid back a little, not so much out of fear but realization that his displeasure was to visible.

"Speak Novitiate Belssarius!" The lady in red robes said.

"These are theories. For all we know it could just be some hopped up techno barbarian who just appears to be a savant with anything mechanical to the untrained eye. They could have NO augments whatsoever and literally communicate with the machine spirit vocally or through weird noises- even human singing or ancient machine vocalization code if not entirely telepathic or empathically." The Novitiate spoke causing some snickering among the men and Angron- who was unable to keep a straight face any longer.

"Novitiate, I think we met said 'hopped up techno barbarian' who has 'savant' like machine skills. He left not long ago. His men serve with us, and if you meet them I think your stories would probably get more of a response then your masters." Angron said in a way that caused excitement and confusion among the Martians.
>>
>>5421653
"Oh child of the Omnissiah can you tell us of them." The leader of the group spoke.

"I will tell you all about the man who saved my life from what I know. Whom is from the distant world of De'lormosa in aquillia constellation" Angron said making a motion, and the Leaguers quietly walked by without the Martians knowing. The joke however arose

"The hero who came out the birds butthole." A man chuckled.

"He- what?"

"Your Voice, or whatever, Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahtiri, whom will no doubt have at least three more names by the time you meet him, is busy last time I checked establishing trade routes and according to his men saving at least two other primarch brothers. You are going to have a lot more travel to find him I reckon, but at least I can be a proper host." Angron spoke.

How did the Martians react to this news.

Kolinaisi held Meerah tight and smiled down at her as she went to sleep.
-

To only wake up to the thing from before. The being. The one that he and UR visited.

"It's you." He said.

"We need to talk. Briefly. About yourself." The being, which had more of a form- although it seemed always in some kind of motion, not really there. A form. Not daemonic, not human, but more of a geometric shape of a human. Like an outline. And then there was what looked like- well Kolinaisi. A ghostly blue, but older and a slightly more serene face. Slightly more tattoos, and hair a bit longer.

"Aya." The ghostly blue Kolinaisi spoke.

"Ayo. Ya the one that- well 'Him' not too fond of listening to." Kolinaisi spoke

"Aye. Well, that an many others. We a gestalt of all the old disconnected eleventh primarch souls. We kinda in this infinite loop, everytime we get sent back, but this time different. Ya the first who can talk to us, and thus we can really talk to ya. But we gotta be quick."

"What ya want to talk to me about that ya have to do it durin my nap?" Kolinaisi spoke and the figure laughed.

"I see ya actually have the sense of humor. In the next 5 days things are gonna happen really fast. We think that once 'Him' dies, we will be bonded to you- and the splintering on you will begin. However, ya actually being a medical type who is also good with machines, and knowing an actual bioligist/geneologist/ man of gold whom actually is only outclassed in medical knowledge by maybe one living being, there is a chance we can actually reverse the curse. And make a run at it." The being said with a grin.

"Make a run at what?" Kolinaisi asked confused by the terminology and the being glowed a little bit.
>>
>>5421654

"A run at fixing things. Making this galaxy a better place. But we can't go over all this knowledge at once. Not in this short of a time. So me and your new friend the Motive Force here." The ghostly being says and the 'Motive Force' does a weird reaction that could only be described as pained disdain.

"Explain it to me like I have know idea what ya talkin about."

"This would be easier, if I approach this. Kolinaisi. In the next few days, there will be several paths that will be laid before you. Before we can tell you about these paths, there is somethings you must know. We will start there."

Which did Kolinaisi ask to learn about on the first scheduled sleep.

Pretty sure most of the what needs to be stopped from happening is coverd by what needs to be done and the book from alt-11's.
What could happen is just going to be a confusing mess.
what was supposed to be doesnt matter anymore.

Knowing the state of things and what needs to happen may help more to plan how to move forward.

Just as a warning- this whole point, this was a rare gilded easter egg rarer than a missing Faberge- I am not going to delay with these options as much. You have 24 hours for this one.

" What paths are you talking about? Try to be as clear about this as possible." You say and the ghostly version of you nods to the motive force and a strange ghostly chart appears next to the motive force with a wave of a hand.

"out of the hundreds of occurrences of eleventh primarch all but one beside you have decided that they need to get the staff. One did it because someone found out the journal entry- and he had to go get there before they did. Kind of sad really." The voice of the ghost of you says and you look at the chart, which is a mess.

"And these paths?" You say hoping that this you will be transparent and not deliberately obfuscating. Ugh. Robbo's words rubbin off on ya.

"Ya mate. In the future, usually there is this heresy thing right. We think depending on what path you take and choice you make you can have the biggest impact. But it relies- on you walking the rebel path, well at least as compared to what the eleventh normally does." He says.

"Rebel Path, mate. Be clear with me." You say and then hundreds of pods and variants of primarchs appear before you. All of them vaguely similar to you.

"Each and everyone of them! Look at them! Those are your past lives each wasted and died because they made the same mistake each time. Just accepting it!" The ghost of you practically shouts as a little shard from each pod is transported to the ghost.

"Treasure hunter! Rogue Trader! Boat Captain! Pirate! Mercenary! Bootlegger! Machinist. Techno Knight Princep. All of them. Every last one of them, all thought they could solve the riddle of the staff. Some to save their legion." He says and you see an image of a massive army with men falling down and some, just screaming as sparks seem to fly off them.

"Others Avarice." And an image of more versions of you reaching for a staff in what is clearly inhuman architecture in what looks like a tomb.

"Some to turn the tide of the heresy." One image of you that looks particularly twisted, and one primarch that honestly looks more like your father both grab for it

"You know the whole story. And have seen their failings not only from that little journal but because you can actually listen to me! You actually heard me! While there is a particular bond between machine and the eleventh, none are as strong as yours and none have actually- well, decided to study science other than somewhat passing fad. Much less medicine!"

"That cannot be right. There is no way that is the answer. That just because I took a different course than expected that it changes everything-"

"Except it does." The being spoke for the first time since they last spoke.

"Your choices alone right now create butterfly effects that normally would be unachievable. The great game has been joined and the table has been flipped. Your actions alone by talking to the old man a few times altered his destiny of fighting a hyperadvanced AI. You discovered a transcendant C'tan Shard fused with an ascended AI. You have things quaking and changes being made quickly by the fact that you were actually raised by decent parents. You even have the Emperor of Mankind measuring what it takes to be a good parent. "Just tell me what has to be done, that seems to be the easiest thing for me to understand." You say, a little skepticism afterall, if your choices caused this much change who is to say the future is fixed?

"Well it's more of a dont than a do. But- from all paths, there is a short list. The Pharos Device must be protected. The Glass Throne of Occludes must have someone sit upon it. The Staff must not be touched. Those three are certain. Any other thing is just mere speculation at this point." The being says and the ghostly you nods.

"Realistically mate- there is no saying what could happen. All ya done, all ya can do- the future isn't set. But treating it as it is, and expecting ya to act as such is a fools errand. We don't even know if a heresy is gonna happen. For all we know you successfully prevented it just by pickin up a tachyon communicator and having enough to pass em when needed. However, we can tell ya that just because you know something doesn't mean it happens that way. Hell in one variant reality Gulliman decides to break away from the imperium and do his own thing, and he comes to you. You agree and he and you start ya own thing. Then Leman comes to kill ya, and he does, then Dorn goes crazy and the whole heresy is upside down and backwards. That outcome is actually slightly better for the universe sadly because chaos burns out a bit more. So makin plans should be done on fixed things." He says and he holds out his hand

" One. Pharos Device. There already nid scouts here. If it blows up the Tyranids come because they think there is enough snacks here to eat. Right now they don't seem to be headin here yet. So Pharos Device must stay protected."

"What is it?"

"It's an empathy light house that makes the warp travelin easier that can teleport things. If it blows up, the nids realize there is food here." The ghostly says you in a delightfully straightforward tone.

"Ya mate limited time. Not gonna coat it with sugar. Two. The Glass Throne. As long as it isn't destroyed and has someone sittin on it, the dark is fought back."

"That simple?"
>>
>>5423954

"Ya. Let's say the less you know about what it's fightan back the better, the one version of us that did find out didn't really keep it together so well and that shard of us is kinda missing. Let's say there are darker problems than even chaos out there in the ghoul stars. It's almost due North by north east exact from De'lormosa." He says in a brusque tone and the being nods.

"Do I do that early on or-"

"During the crusade approach the Emperor about it. Ya can only tell one brother about it. You cannot be the one to sit on the throne. Sittin on the throne drains the sitter on it of life. It imparts knowledge to the person upon it, and it helps to fight back the eldrich things at the edge of reality that hide beyond the ghoul stars. The Khrave, who ya fought, serve them. And not a weak khrave like the one you fought. The really nasty ones. Which brings me to other things you cannot touch." He says, and so far, he just tellin it as it is. Ya da would probably be proud.

"And three?"

"The Staff of All Tomorrows. The Ymga Monolith. You cannot go there, you must avoid it all cost. DO NOT TOUCH THE STAFF." He says and before you can say what comment

"Look mate- every single eleventh primarch thinks the same thing. 'Oh it's just Necron Tech. Oh it can't be that bad. Oh I will master it unlike every other bloke in this creepy journal.' AND THEY GET LOST IN TIME. AGAIN. Even with honest intentions don't. It instantly leads to the loss." He says and the being makes a noise.

"Oh yeah. There is one other thing you need to do, or at least keep in mind. The Interex. You need to talk with them. They humans. Weird ones. But Humans. Same with the kindred of the Leagues of Votan. They'd like ya. Or those are some people he should talk with right?" The ghost of you says to the being

"That is the proper assessment. Finding the Man of Gold, landing on his planet was a stroke of brilliance."

"Ya. who did that?" The ghost of you says and the being, does the weird glitch thing it did earlier.

"Right. Look. Bit of advice, besides what we told ya- just be a good brother and a good man. That will go just as far if not farther than any directive. Maybe there won't be a heresy." The pale blue version of you says.

"What happens when, well, him, dies."

"Well, normally I join the main part of your soul and become part of you. Though I won't be as easy to access like now, and you aint gettin all the memories. But something tells me things will be different."

The Shark Piece. Was- off.

The Trickster noticed it, not the eldest. Everyone was distracted from the primary game with how all the pieces were scattered.

All but the shark.

Something- some outside power was actually interfering with the piece, and the trickster could tell it. It wasn't obvious. The piece- was phasing in and out of the board slightly. Like a computer glitch.

As if nobody could actually claim the piece. The distant noise was slightly louder. The shriek. The chittering.

The Trickster made it's move cautiously.

Once again, things are going a bit faster- this scene is on a clock. Either 24 hours or vote threshold.

> What do you mean, things will be different? Am I gonna change when you join my soul or something?
wonder if he has to join kolis soul, maybe koli could make something similar to what contains the ct'an, as to keep this form of his soul around without necessarily fusing together, as personly I don't like the idea of other variations of him slowly influencing and changing him from his normal self

if he makes it in time for old man and successfully saves him he could ask old man to help him with some potential solution, if at the least keep this older koli alive so he can then tackle his situation with some more wiggle room
>>
>>5423956
I don't think the souls will be able to affect Kol, otherwise why would they not fight each other from such varied backgrounds to ensure the next 11'th is of the same philosophy as them?

I think its a group decision they've come to not to influence the current Kol, but whats weird is this is a lot of soul stuff, even if mechanical in nature, being added to us. And unlike the others we can interact with it.

>You said my sons would have a flaw. Explain what will happen to them so I know what to tell my gold freind.

Primarchs are a blueprint for their space marines, if we know the flaw before it happens, and we save old man gold like we plan, we could start working on a cure now before it even hints at becoming a problem. Might also help kol understand himself a little better.

"You said my sons would have a flaw- tell me what it is so I can tell my gold friend to fix it." You say and the ghost of you smiles wide.

"So we choose the rebel path and fight fate itself. Noice." He says.

"This seems almost trivial. We rebel, but how? Is it against fate of the galaxy, is it against our personal fate, is it against the Emperor, is it against OId Man Martin? If it's the last, I'm gonna cut you. Telling me to do three things and be a good brutha is beneath a time-travelling ghost-clone and the sentient will of all machinery. Where does the tanked C'Tan fit into all this?" You sort of let out. And the ghostly you rolls your eyes.

"It's easy for you. I ask any other variant - I might as well be asking you to hold all of space. The eleventh is almost fucking hardwired for exploration, adventure, and hunting for treasure. How do you think on average the Eleventh finds someone before they are found. You and Roboute are practically synergetic because you both compliment each other. I get it. I really do. We have been through this hundreds of times. Ya just built different. You not being the stereotypical eleventh primarch who is somewhat selfish, and instead of worrying about some petty necron treasure actually wants to fight for his sons. Hell at this rate I actually hope you have a kid of ya own too. Freaking less likely to be a false primarch this time around." He says and that takes ya a bit back.

"The Tanked C'tan. That thing- I honestly have no idea how ya even managed to do that. But that can turn any tide. The Emperor may not have to go into the noctis labrynth. But we hold that beat for later. You got precious little time and this isn't the best way for you remembering everything. So remember to freaking write everything down you can when you get up." The ghost of you says.

"So how I cure them? The Flaw?"

"Sorry. It's that I so rarely get to talk to anyone. I rant. Right. The flaw. Your lads flaw is actually disguised as a strange gift. Sort of-" He says making some vague play with electricty. Then he points to his head.
>>

In the exact spot where you get your killer headache.

"The Golden Hum. It's like an electromagnetic background noise, it's the sound of mana. Barely makes any noise at any frequency. It doesn't hurt most anything. In fact ya'd have to be daft for the most part to even notice it. Or be electrically attuned. Ya lads. They like the shark, they can sense electric fields better than other marines due to frontal lobe development. Also weird bit, they never get lost because of that weird innate gift. They always know how to fix a machine because they can sense what's wrong. That's why ya machine spirit bond so well with ya. Ya gift is on the next level. And many of your sons have it stronger than others. However, that Golden Hum, one day it just get's really loud and strong. A once in 30,000 year event. And it just screams. Ya lads drop like flies. The others, the mutation hits. Ya get some that get this weird hunger for certain wavelengths of electricty, wew lad, that one is the rarest and thank ya maker for that. He'da expunge ya whole legion if it was more prevelant. The skin changes, the eyes change, they start to become allergic to mana. And their mood- wooooooooooooo lad. wew. Some of em get absolutely cruel. It gets weird fast. However- ya bein a doctor, you may already notice some symptoms of other things, that may mirror what you got going on. That headache. Ya lose it after the hum entirely. I can tell ya the date- in relationship to this- ya got" He does this weird head motion

"About 80 years, I think. The emperor also made things different- he decided to do the crusade a bit early so if we usin napkin math" He says and you can swear you see the machine being wince and cringe at that statement causing the ghost of you to pause

"You have 42 years 3 months 4 days and 10 hours exactly. We need precision remember." It says and The ghost of you puts up it's hands in the same way you do when ya da tryin not to get in an argument with ya ma.

"Sorry mate I was trying to sound impressive. But yeah. that. The flaw is as I described. It's also on of their gifts- the sensitivity to electromagnetism. They are gifted use them right. Don't be using a precision arc spanner adjustment wrench as a hammer for some penny nail lad. Learn your sons. Crap- looks like you need to get up."

I wonder if combining a machine spirit to our sons souls would help. It might make them "complete" or it might help the regulate the Golden Hum. turn it from a thousand sons flesh change tier to something more like a rarer black rage. although this solution is still second to actually fixing the problem.

He does have good memory. I just didn't clarify that the voice faded out in a way that was understandable.

You write EVERYTHING DOWN. Not just for memory sake but for personal records, largely which has been something you have been taking to more lately. You sweetly, nudge Meerah awake. She makes a little noise and curls up to ya arm wrappin around it. Ya finish writing down everything from the dream and put it in ya nightstand.

"Time for duty?" Meerah says in a voice of false tiredness.

"Ya I got a lot to do." And she turns up to look up at you and holds what small bit of your hand. She looks at you tenderly.

"Cap- I just, I don't know if " You brush the side of her face with your finger, it feels right- ya think. Ya never really courted a woman before and most of the courtan on the island was different than what would be for her.

"Meerah. I feel for ya too. We need to get home." Ya say and she nods. And then you see the twinkle of a smile in her eyes. Meerah has always been a little special to ya.

"C'mon cap" She says patting you on the back and Erihapti quickly gets up and nuzzles the pair of you for attention. Poor girl has been through a lot lately and has to only deal with the pool that was on the ship. She needs an ocean. And fresher fish. Yet she stays by your side. As has your honor guard. Especially Meerah.

The three of you exit and you walk up to the deck.

Roboute is waiting, and Jerah Jero gives you the weakest salute you have ever seen in ya life.

"Aiyt mate, i am out." He says in a tone that he has had it up to his eyebrows, and you can see why. Titus and Nazsca and Roboute have subdued, Him, and it looks like Roboute has some choice words- probably because he has likely gotten less sleep than you.

"He is fast as you." Roboute says.

"And he can glitch electronics, so we couldn't space him." Nazsca says with a spit.

"Arona literally rode on his back holding on to a knife." Titus says.

"He didn't hurt Arona. He just - well shook her off. He got out and tried to talk with the Gene Witch, which I strongly recommended against. He tied up your honor guard by making some weird construct thing out of scrap like a fucking Ork and firing their psyker attacks back at em, he then stole something from Pygmalius then deactivated his armor where only the life support is on because his health indicator is still functioning, and he refuses to speak with anyone but you. He says we can't disintigrate him because he will 'let the djinni out of the bottle' but personally I think he is just either got a death wish or wants something. We literally had to put him in the void trap" Which was specifically reserved for interrogation of the especially evil knife eared drukhari slavers. You look at your navigator and she looks at you
>>
>>5426518

"Yana can drive for a while." She says and Yana nods to you.

"Get some sleep brutha. ya earned it."

"Ya damn right. We will talk when I wake up." Roboute says in the most uncharacteristic tone you have ever heard from him. Titus and Nazca lead you to the void trap where he is upside down humming the most annoying song you have ever heard.

"Ahhh! Here to " You punch him in the jaw to dislocate it. You then relocate it. The painful way.

"OW! Watch it I can have fun with ya little puzzle cube an-"

"Is it here." You ask

"Only I know the-"

"BOX ARE YA FREAKIN HERE."

That is not my name. I am in his possession currently his left hand. He is technically bio coded to me, so he could open the device, but- umm he doesn't seem to understand that I can choose to not come out. The scary box says in it's scary voice which causes Titus to make a surprise scan of the area and Nazca to search about the room. You get closer to him.

"You are so titanically annoying that a being that wants nothing more to be unleashed upon reality doesn't want to be unleashed if it's by you. How is that even possible?" You ask

And he swings stunned.

"What the hell do ya want mate. Ya want me to kill ya? I have to ask Epsilon, he may say no. You want more privileges around the ship? I am the one who controls the friend or foe designator- and last time I checked I haven't designated ya friend or foe, though after that stunt, I'd be out of my mind to not to. So what is it. "

"Roboute. Didn't want me talkin to Epsilon. I want to talk to him. Also I would like my journal back, And since you aren't going to kill me, and since I am now stuck in this time because you exist, I would like a ship to go make my own way until my inevitable painful demise."

"Can I use him as a punching bag?" Nazca asks and Titus puts his hand over his head.

--

>> "Go ahead. While I think about what to do." Deal with this later. You have other things to deal with now he is in the void trap, he isn't going anywhere.

>> "Alright Bet. Ya want to talk to Epsilon and see if he wants to even talk with ya, and what he wants me to do with ya. After I give him my report of ya." You need to talk to him anyways.

>> "Peace offering." Throw his journal beneath him and have Nazca take him out just long enough to remove the scary box.

"Bet . You wanna talk to Epsilon eh? Let me see if he even wanna talk to ya after I give my report." You say and he actually looks worried. Nazca comes up to you

"Speakin of. First- I want to thank you, for curing me." He says as you pull out the comm and look at him skeptically.

"But I need to talk to you about him too. I do not need to talk to him." He says and you look at him and nod and he goes back to Titus. You are a bit surprised by his actions.

You get on the comm.

"Eya Epsilon." You say. There is a longer pause than normal.

"Kappa! I heard the radio chatter. I assume you are en route to Mu?"

"Ya. The Old Man needs my help."

"The Galaxy could say the same. I presume that there is another matter." You reflect for a moment. You decide to be earnest and from the heart like ya father raised ya.

"Well first is an update. Perturabo is reclaiming his planet as we speak if he hasn't already now that he captured a Titan I'd be shocked. The other Brother, we will go to likely after I fix the old man up if my First Mate doesn't along with Rho. We should be arriving in about 90 hours or less. There has been a lot revealed to me Epsilon. I have quite a bit of work to do, don't I?" You ask.

"We all do. But you are already exceeding my expectations. When I heard from Frank about you- and when I met you, it was exciting. I was very happy about it. To hear what you are already doing, is motivating. It is something that you should to take heart to. But I sense there is more." And you feel something from this. Epsilon, something has changed- albeit a little.

"Aya. This- version of me. He aright pain in my arse. He made hell for Rho and my family, my first mate looked like he was about to die, it took a few mad lads, my cousin and my best men to get him into a void trap."

"Sounds like you have a few recruits for the lucifer blacks on board your ship."

"He also tried to talk to the Gene Witch. And"

"And- I am wondering what to do about him, time travellin me. If I take him to the old man to help him. What ya think about that." You ask, almost thinking about the box, but honestly he already has the galaxy on his shoulders, aint no use giftin him a bag of angry rippas.

"This is a decision only you can make. I- I have to learn a bit about being a father to be fair. This- is something that I haven't experienced before and honestly needs study. I would ask if at all possible, see if you can fix him and bring him to me alive. If he presents such a danger that it is a risk to both You and Rhos life, then do what you must. He did afterall try to talk to the gene witch of selenar. This is clearly reckless, but he may have done it to learn for information to inform it of me- knowing probably already how important she was. I wonder of what happened to her in his timeline. It would be a curious bit of intelligence. Yet- it was still reckless and dangerous especially with how he treated your crew. If you feel that him talking to me is a reward for his idiotic behavior and do not wish him to- that is understandable. However, realize that in his time, our relationship and the way we were, probably leads him to feel that he needs to make up for something. As a result he probably has a great deal of desperation towards righting wrongs. I know that can be a powerful motivator. But- it is your and ultimately a variation of you. So this is your call to make." Epsilon says. He sounds like he is trying to understand you better as well as give sound advice.

"Do you mind if I wait on this decision" You ask.

"I will have this device on me constantly unless I am charging it." He responds.

You look at 'Him.' And down at the comm. Giving him the comm, means he may not respect ya. However

"I also may need to talk to ya about some particular xenos later." You say as you bring the comms towards 'Him'

"Oh what kind." He asks as you are about to give 'Him' the com

"The kind that look all green and metallic and skeleton-like." Ya say and there is an unhealthy pause as 'Him' wants the comm clearly

"That is most irksome." Epsilon responds as if he is moving quickly to somewhere

"Ya." ya say pulling the comm back from Him with a little bit of joy from teasing the nusance who is being a real pain to your crew

"Those are extremely dangerous." He responds, still with the same tone.

"Ya." You say.

"They are ancient and have powerful technologies, they are very difficult to destroy. If you find them you need to deal with them carefully and quickly. Actually anytime you have encounters with them let me know, and maybe we should go into that later. " He says. You think about taking the comm away again to go into more detail, however, compassion gets the better of ya. Compassion for Epsilon, not him, who probably wants to talk to a son he really never knew.
>>
>>5429514
>>5429514

"Drop the box, and ya get the com." You say and the box falls out of the trap.

You actively ignore the conversation. It isn't that you shouldn't eavesdrop on ya self, or rather, him, and also realize, you have more important things to do.

"Get me when he is done with the Comm." You tell Titus who nods.

Congrats. Unity on this decision has given a bonus.

"You walked in just in time." The navigator tells you as Yana breathes a sigh of relief.

"Ya?"

"Windows closing. We save at least 50 hours. if we take it, but ya gonna be the one to navigate, because I aint ready for this."

You almost hesitate.

"Just a hard of steerin?"

"If we doin this full clip, we need ya doin full clip till yana recovers or we get to the bumpy part, then we swap out." She says bringing up the thing that only you and her can see.

And it is a mess.

An ugly scary mess. But she is right. Ya save at least 50 hours, so long as someone strong as ya takes over- so probably Roboute.

"Can the- how?" You ask. This would be testing the upper limits of the ship. This would make it incredibly fast, so long as the navigation is good.

"The Something Fierce, formerly the Rumi, was one of the fastest ships of it's age, and just as agile. Any other ship in the galaxy, even most xenos ships, would have a lot of trouble with this, Something Fierce is something fast. It can actually make the two part window. But we need to know now. Ya got maybe five minutes tops."

You briefly hum some machine code. And very intelligent noise responds.

Do you doubt my performance? Have I not been the key to your success? Is it something else? the very powerful spirit responds in a dull hum that spooks the crew a little.

naw mate. I don't doubt it. Ya up for gettin home this fast? We gonna need a refuel and refit?

Refuel? Yes. Refit. No. I shouldn't need an actual proper refit for at least 14,000 years depending on combat and maintainence work, which you and yours child ward have been doing wonderfully. No we will make both windows. And it won't be 50 hours saved. It will be closer to 60, so long as you hold tight and actually run the drive right.

I picked a good name for ya.

You have no idea.

The humming stops.

"Your weird machine blasphemy instant humm communication stuff is very unnerving and would probably cause members of the cult of mars to really think about the alliance with the emperor." Your navigator says as most of the rest on the deck act confused.

"She right though, it is scary. What's the action bro?" Yana asks.

"Full Clip. The Something Fierce can more than handle it. If Roboute is not asleep, inform him of the plan. If he is, get Nazca, he strong enough and -"

"Ya trust that maniac? I mean he better now but he was a big problem not too long ago." Yana asks

"It's either He, Rob, or Him. I trust He and Rob more than I ever trust that dark mirror lookin back at me." You say and Yana shrugs.

"Of all the primarchs, from what I have heard, you certainly are probably the bravest." The Navigator says shaky in voice.

"I keep hearin about my family. But I am me. I am sure if they were in my position they'd do the same." You say throttling the Inertialess drive.

"I wouldn't know. You and those I have met with you are the only ones I really have met. Titus says your father will likely reward us. The only reward I really want is a peaceful position or a trip back home." She says going to the navigo deck. You shrug.

Yana walked down to Roboute's suite and Gellah stepped out with a flush of red that was even greater for her than normal.

"Is he up?" Yana asked and Gellah just nodded.

"Gella- oh. Hello Yana." Roboute said briefly draping himself with a blanket.

"Brother wants you to cover the second half of the long run we doin. We will save 50 hours. "

"That is quite the sum."

"Yeah but it means you have to be at the helm at full clip." Yana said twitching and shaking.

"I will help Kolinaisi. He is a good a friend and a good brother it seems. At least from this." Roboute says pulling a very large book out from nowhere.

"What is that."

"That is your false brother, the large angry guest, journal. Or at least a copy I made. Brother strayed quite far from the path of his predecessors." Roboute says closing the book

"What does it say about you?" Yana asks. Roboute paused.

What did roboute get from the journal of the 11th, or at least the opinion formed?

>> "It names me a good friend and better brother."

>> "The most admirable of primarchs, and a great leader. Kolinaisi, I hope has similar thoughts."

"In this book? I am named favorite brother and best bean counter. Though I highly doubt I am going to take up any accounting of agriculture in any of my own or alternate futures." Roboute waits a beat and Yana chuckles

"I'd thought you'd like that one." Roboute says and Yana nods.

"So get ya back when the shift is done?" Yana asked with a little giggle, probably a bit slap happy from the long shift.

"Yes. I would advise my legion of the updated arrival date, grab Heracles and Cato, tell them to come up here so I may brief them." Roboute says.

"I am surprised you are able to remember all the names of your company."

"I remember every name of every legionnare in my legion. Cato and Heracles are best for this because they are both well liked, they both are just starting their shift so they are fresh and Heracles is good at breaking news like this."

"Are you- upset with how this is turning out?" Yana asked.

"Actually the accelerated time-table is better for us. Though, I am slightly worried about the state of my world right now, Kolinaisi has proven to be effective in matters of navigation and getting through tough situations. I worry about much. I worry after reading the book, that should Gella prove to reciprocate my affections she would not be able to have a child with me should she want one- though the matter of someone like I having a child is another issue. I worry, about the cryptic other journal, that was mentioned in here that only Kolinaisi could find. I worry about how my creator will view me, and how will he take my side track- when according to this book I have normally conquered most of the Ultramaar realm. Then I haven't met Angron yet- and apparently his situation is quite the coup. Perturabo seemed much more amicable than he did in this journal. I remember a philosopher that I talked to warning me of these things called 'info-hazards' where information can actually harm you. And so far I am grateful that Gella has been here to discuss this with me, and you as well." Roboute says after a moment of introspection

"You get some rest, your men will be here shortly." Yana spoke.

-

Olympia was completely retaken.

The titan was a boon, and sped things up significantly after the few modifications to repair it.

It was also significantly easier because it wasn't conquering the world, it was much simpler.

At one time where Perturabo was looked on as a tool to be used, or weapon to be wielded, he was seen as a hero.

At least that's how it seemed. Much had changed.

Kolinaisi, for one, had gifted him the ability to traverse the stars, and communicate with him openly.

He even managed to allow for the last reunion with 'father'. And save much of his family. The family changed. Most of them treated with him awkwardly, now, they were actually grateful, this honesty was refreshing.
>>
>>5431318

"Commander Perturabo! What are you doing here? You just left not more than a few hours ago?"

"I actually completed my task- I came back here to rest." Perturabo said and the being seemed cautious.

"Sire- Lord. May I speak with you honestly?"

"I expect it." Perturabo said blunt as a hammer.

"Your sudden change of character while refreshing compared to most of what we deal with when it comes to Tyrants- what are your intentions? You have built some of the most absurd war machines in the past and now, after having stowing upon a starship and returning home, you seem different, do you - intend to kill us?" The man asked and Perturabo seemed taken a bit back.

"What? Why? What foolishness drives you to that conclusion?"

"In the past we have seen a jolly tyrant gleefully tell us of an upcoming decimation. They acted similar."

"I have no intentions of decimating the common folk nor their raised auxillairies. The reformation of our world is done. I intend to build things besides war machines and this has me quite excited." Perturabo said with a smile.

"Wait- you- you just want to engage in simple artifice and architecture? "

"Nothing really simple, most of my plans are complex- but I feel in a few weeks time with some work- we could have great marvels and structures that could ease our hard lives here. I am sorry, I have yet to ask your name and your curiousity and bravery to simply approach me on this topic I find most intriguing."

"Demetrious, but most just call me Deme."

"Well, I do not know you that well yet. Come. Help me start."

"Start? Start what? I am but a simple guardsman."

>> We are going to start with sanitation and health of this land. Aquaducts, bath houses, hospitals and plumbing.

>> First? Houses of learning. Schools. Colleges. Guild houses and trade schools even gymnasiums.

>> We have known nothing but war for ages, so houses of leisure. Pools, Libraries, a Commons, Parks, Theaters, places for children and the elderly

I am going to warn you-

Y'all put perturabo on a very interesting development path that is very weird to write having read his book.
>>
"We are going to start with the sanitation and health of these lands. Far too long have many had to suffer in squalor. We shall build aquaducts, bath houses, hospitals, plumbing and sanitation systems. Sewers."

"That doesn't sound too glamourous or exciting to be honest Sir." Demetrious said and Perturabo, at first seemed a bit angered. Then realized something, and decided that he should react in kind with equal candor.

"It shouldn't! You don't built great things from the details alone. You have to build upon it. We start with the needs of the people. From there we move on to their intellectual needs- colleges, schools, houses of learning, guild houses and trade schools, even gymnasiums. The people here need to be able to govern themselves without a tyrant, and far too long has this planet been ruled as such. Olympians must be able to learn, but first they must be able to survive and live long enough to benefit from an education." Perturbo said to Demetrius.

"So the Hospitals, Aquaducts, Plumbing, Sewers and bath houses first, then the houses of learning. I see. That's great and all, and I want to help. But as I said. I am a simple guardsman. I point my rifle, I shoot it at my enemy, I hope it dies. I am no great architect sir. I have dreams and hopes the same as any man. But what can I do?"

"Can you dig a trench?"

"Aye?"

"We will start there, because that is more than enough to start. Grab some more men. You simple guardsmen, will be far more than that when we are done today." Perturbo spoke. Something in him, was growing.

"Respectfully sir, we are but men. Have you seen what we have faced lately? Do you not see the titan over there?"

"Men built great things, before I was even a wish in my fathers eye. Within each one of you here, there is that innate capacity. That spark. I may know how to build everything, all these great things, but it requires men. Each one of you- within every one of you- there is a builder. There is a hunter. A farmer. A warrior. A parent. A child. A teacher. It is inside you. Do you think life has always been like this?" And the men were beginning to be stirred from nearby houses.

"Is this the great summation of humanity in it's totality? A desert planet where people worship uncaring gods and hoard weather machines because some god of agriculture demands that only the rich may have fresh food?" Lorgar called out as the caller spoke

"What do you speak of oh tall stranger?"

"I speak that your vindication festival, or validation festival, or whatever is absurd on it's face. These poor people forced to offer up so much, that I am shocked that they could afford it, just for a chance to get even at someone? Is that what this is about- I am a stranger after all I am confused." Lorgar spoke as there was some quiet chuckling among some of the crowd

"No please laugh, I am sure I sound absurd but this seems so much of a farce to me. Why is Kor Phaeron up there, mister facial tattoos and scars with astoundingly ornate robe and hat." Lorgar said

"Erebus. My name is "

"Erebus! Fantastic. Erebus. Why is he there."

"For causing mischief, sowing dissent, and demanding immoral changes to the code of our Church and The Covenant! He demanded a crusade for more membership of the Covenant."

"So his crime is to bring in more members to your organization"

"And causing mischief and sowing dissent" Erebus adds.

"So your cost to punish him in the eyes of your religion, is- wait how does this work?"

"We offered up a tribute of the weight of Kor Phaeron in Gold to the gods. As per tradition in the old faith, if you can offer up the weight of whom wronged you in food or in something that you value like grain, or eleven head of live stock, or six liters of fine oil, seven pounds of strong spice, eight liters of blood or nine golden sistas, you are given to rites of vindication on the main square in the church for the associated time with the associated amount for the crime."

>> Mockery " Who gets the gold? Do the gods need the gold? And if you are offering the gold does it just go back to you?"

>> Compassion "The gods, they need this? If they are so powerful can't they just use some miraculous power to make their own food? Why Rob from their own Faithful?"

>> Confusion. "So you want to punish someone, for bringing more people into this faith, that people pay quite a bit, to punish other people, because the gods aren't powerful enough to answer your prayers or wont answer them unless you give them a bunch of food they won't eat?"

>> Anger "Your religion seems to favor those who have more than those who have less. Almost as if it isn't a religion but some market scheme."

>> Write in "Old Man is horrible at doing these neckbeard atheist argumentations because of internet age atheist stereotypes, the writing of how argument was in 40k, and the fact that he lacks frame of reference in this situation because he hasn't read enough lorgar novels."

The piloting goes well. Your shift would probably tire out anyone, well maybe not Rongo or Tybro. Jerah survived because Jero Jerah can survive anything, Frank would have survived because of powerful spite. Your surviving because ya that strong. Roboute shows up and ya nod to him. "Anything for change over?" He asks

"Not that can't wait till after I get to the navigating. Just realize it's super rough bruddah." You say and he passes you the comm.

"Titus told me to get it back to you, he said you'd want it back, but felt that you were probably a bit busy." Roboute says

"He right." You say with a chuckle and nod. Then you do the navigating.

A mess.

A proper mess.

The Navigator shows you the warp around you and it's as if you are riding through a tiny corridor in a storm, with ebbs and flows helping you along. This route is mental. And you signed up for it. The navigator looks at you and she seems relieved and stressed.

"You are the only person who can actually look at navigators with their third eye open." She says. And you realize, yes her eye is open. It's kind of pretty, but it is still strange.

"Ya. That not normal?" You ask focusing back down on the job.

"No. It is quite fatal to most."

"Oh. That's why you and yours have there own section partitioned off and everything."

"Indeed. It's also why everyone of us act so surprised around you. You are like us. It's strange in some ways. But we need to make the window."

"Aye." You say and the navigation is hard. Normally Navigators don't have to do all this but all the minute corrections that must be made by hand and in the moment are essential to this route. After a little while, the second window is made. The hard part is over.

"Thanks, can you wait til"

"Aya. Just tell her not to take her time." And she nods and goes off.

You navigate for a while and your replacement comes. The time was fast.

You exit and Meerah is near Roboute.

"Brother! I take it the navigation was as exciting as it seemed down here?"

"More probably." You say a bit exhausted.

"What is on your mind?" Roboute asks.

Kor committed a crime and other people are paying for it? Or is it some kind of appeasement deal, like one of us did a sin so we have to appease the gods for them to forgive us collectively? Is he going to be killed and judged afterwards?

Right.

So to explain it best:

People can pay a sum, to the church, to take revenge or have vindication, out on the person they think has wronged them. It was written to be a bit confusing, but I didn't want it to be the point yall don't understand.

So

Person 1 pays church x amount. Person gets to dish out the appropriate punishment, usually fatal. Lesser amounts are given for less deals but for total validation or vindication against a major wrong is the larger amounts.

"quite a lot bruddah." You say and you bring your worries to light.

"I am a bit upset I couldn't get ya home first. I feel bad a bout it."

"No brother it's perfectly understandable it is an emergency and one of the reasons you left was to heal this old man of yours, I imagine it is quite dire if you are hurrying"

"I told ya ma I'd keep ya safe. I did my best with it, and I hope ya and yer men have been cared for in my charge. There is a lot of responsibility there that falls on the shoulders of a big man- and I just hope ya are "

"Brother. I didn't know you existed other than strange inklings for a few months, and now I can't imagine how things would be like without you. You are good friend, a good captain, and as far as I have seen a good man. With what you have given my men and how you have helped us, some of these men have had it better here than at home. My mother will be especially happy with what you have done here."

"Then there is the issue of our father. There will be a lot for me to explain to him, much I have done and there will come an accounting of deeds. Then there is the brother you haven't met. Angron. He needs our help now, I can almost feel it and we sent men to help, but also they need to be picked up as well. Me skipping that weighs heavy on me. How is our father gonna view that? That oh I let one of my brothers out with just what help I could to go save one old mans life? I coulda stopped. I am sure angron and the men are fine, but it don't feel right. How is our father gonna feel" To be honest you aren't really sure what to expect from this Emperor of Mankind. You haven't really gotten to know him as much as you could.

"I think he will understand. Afterall, you did find us. And you have helped us out. More so than whatever your future, past, alternate self would have done." Roboute says pointing to his copy of the journal. You probably should do the same.

"I hope so. Then hims a whole other matter. And Titus said something else that we need to go over, but I am not sure what. Then there is the fact" and you sigh

"Apparently, all primarchs are supposed to conquer their planet before they meet the emperor. I haven't even really unified my planet. I mean i shored up defenses against enemies like the Drukhari and Ganth, but I haven't visited either pole nor the greensea. And then there is the matter of an expected Mokka, and while I am bringing back quite a bit I wonder if I have done enough." You say putting your head in your hands. And you feel Meerahs hand holding your side.

" I read this journal four times." Roboute says and looks at you.

"You are more capable than anyone of these previous incarnations of you. You will be fine." Roboute says. You nod and Jerah comes up.

"Ah so I have a co-pilot so I don't die! Outstanding. We on schedule?" Jerah asks.

You pull the captains call.

"All hands to muster ground except pilotin crew" You say. It takes about 15 minutes, a bit slow but ya aint gonna drag the crew, ya'd be a bit slow too.

"All hands! Who ready to go home?" You say in a positive tone and there is a bit of cheer and uproar among the crew

"So here is the deal. We have to go over the ledger before we get home. I am gonna let ya'll know- we are well over quota, by a lot. Even considering the big mokka on board and every share. We waaaaaaaaaaay over quota." You say and Jerah looks at you then you pass him the ledger, and he looks like he is about to have a conniption

"Shucks lad I shoulda been lookin at that ledger more."

"Ya sayin I cookin books mate?" You say joking to Jero Jerah and he laughs

"Naw mate I am sayin I need to be a better first mate." He says with a bit of a blush. Roboute looks over the ledger and then looks at you.

"This level- of accountability and record keeping is impressive." He states in a very calm manner that seems to be one of study.

"Which brins us to the next issue. We need a touch n go team." You say and there is a bit of hubub among the crew.

"Don worry! Ya still gonna get ya share!" Ya say and there is a little less hee n haw and Arona steps forward

"I volunteer!" She shouts.

"That's lovely cuz but you know how this works. We hold a vote and have to write up the account. When we get back home there y'all will get ya leave if ya aint on the touch n go team. Touch n go team will be given a bit more leeway later and a bit more freedom in the account if it is viewed as fair by all members of the crew. Sound good? All in favor?" You shout out and everyone raises there hand.

"Next agenda item! We have had a buncha guests on the ship for some time! As per custom after this long a period and showin performance they are extended an invitation if they wish to join on, and if they wish to go on the touch n go to Nuceria. Crew must be unanimous on this. All in favor?" Every hand raises and every voice says aye. Save one nay.

"Jero Jerah. Ya have an objection." You say looking over to your first mate. This is actually part of his job, though normally it isn't like this.

"One. If it can be settled then we solid mate." He says

"Go ahead with ya issue." You say and Roboute looks a bit confused.

"Where are we gettin the fundin for these 100 men. The contract amount, despite bein over budget means that there would be a lot takin out for it. I aint sayin that them joinin will not be a boon, far from it. But if we lettin em in, where those funds comin from?"

"My share. From the captains budget and my own personal share." You say and Jero lets out a low whistle.

"Mine too!" Nasi says and there is some laughter, though honestly it does help a bit.

"Mine!" Gella shouts out. This is actually a bit over kill, but Jero looks a bit impressed.

"That settles my concern. I change my vote to Aye. Quartermaster Rongo, have any concerns with this?" Jero says

"So long as they don't be eatin the goats we savvy." Rongo says and there is a bit of laughter.

"You don't eat the goats?" Roboute asks.

"Naw. Goat meat is kinda frowned upon." You say and Roboute kind of gives an odd look.

"Right! We draw up the contract right now. First order of business the touch n go team! All in favor of it bein a volunteer only force an no pressing of service unless essential crew?" You say looking over at the one navigator who realizes what this means who instantly sighs.

"Aye!" You hear loudly.

"All oppose?" You hear a few coughs.

"All volunteers please step forward!" And you see Roboute look at you and you realize, him stepping forward would be quite a strange motion considering your position on a platform

"Err Belay that! Just raise your hand!" You say and wew. The whole of Roboutes legion, raises their hands. As does Roboute. Arona, Kai, Rongo, Titus and his men, others including young Nasi raise their hands.

"Y'all gonna be takin one of those big ships unless ya can convince Jera to bor-" you say with a sly smirk that causes Jerah to tweak in the eyes

"Fat chance kid ya may be a son to me but don be goin out volunteerin my ship.Y'all aint borrowin The Auditor! It hasn't even been given a name yet." He says and there is a lot of chucklin

"Ya got a whole armada of ships that are with this one outside the Something Fierce, give it a name an take one." Jero says and you smile.

"Ya heard the first mate. Touch n Go crew find your ship before we touch down and give it a proper name."

"Something Proper?" You hear as a joke from Kai causing even more chuckles.

"Alright the rest of you lot- time to draw the account up and go over the present ledger. Steerin an captain crew dismissed!" You say and there is a bit of cheerin.

"You are paying them now?" Roboute asks.

"Naw mate." Jerah says.

"We goin over they earnings and what they have claimed. It's traditionally two nights before arrival or when ya first see land, but space makes it complicated. Pay isn't divied up until landfall." Jero continues.

"Interesting." Roboute says

"Yeah and as part of the captains crew that is pilotin the ship we get to do that later. Let Ruarua do the bean countin." Jerah says and Robute lets out an absurd bark of a laugh that Yana joins up in.

How was the next account drawn up?

>> Same as before- to each what they earned no exceptions to the rules.
>> Similar to before, but a bit more is given for more experienced hands
>> Same, but allowing for something you picked up where people who mentor others are given a bit more and it encourages new people to join by allowin for a similar track
>> Same as before, but add policies about ship capturing because ya sure that is gonna come up again and it seems a bit odd to just be distributing ships the way ya are.

This is fine. I'm wondering just how many will become chartered with rogue trader status later.
