You are Kolinaisi Kaiko Wahthiri.

Primarch of the Eleventh Legion.

Great Man and Warchief of De'lormosa.

And you are rigging a rope to quite literally go into an active volcano to pick flowers.

With Jerah.

Yeah it's been a day.

Your return home has had you do a lot. One ya had to save the old man from whatever fate his cancer would have befell him, or whatever his condition was- something wasn't right with his explanation. It was like he was explaining it wrong so it makes sense, but intentionally so, like a kid with a rainbow. Then ya had Tukka show up and absolutely ruin what would have been a lovely family reunion. So instead of Roboute or Yana meeting ya Da and Ma the appropriate amount of time and visitin, they instead had to deal with ya jettin off to fight Tukka. Who was about to attack ya sons. From the eleventh legion. Whom ya also have had very little time with. Yet, they seemed at least comfortable around ya. Maybe ya should read the journal about that. Maybe ya should show the old man the journal.

"Oiya Lad! I got the rigging around some boulders and the pulleys deep in." Jerah shouts to ya as he puts on a mysterious device over his head partially and he begins whistling.

"What is that?"

"Music player headset. It's got over a million songs on em. If I am gonna go to the black early I sure as shit aint goin hearin ya or my own screamin." Jerah says.

"And what if I call for ya?" You shout at him. He smiles and puts em on.

"Go ahead, shout at me."

"YA A FOOKIN IDIOT"

"AYE! BUT I CAN READ LIPS, GOT MY WITS, AND THESE CAN DETECT SOUND AN DOWNPLAY THE MUSIC." he says comically to ya

"So ya don't have to scream. I got a second pair. There your part of my big mokka!" He says approaching the ledge in a way most great men shouldn't with a grin and a light step.

"There lad! I see a small group of em! Should be enough. We go down togetha like ya said." You shrug. The Music Player Headset sounds, like a mighty gift, well a mighty luxury gift. A few years ago ya coulda gotten a whole island for somethin like that.

"Is that how the lads know so many shanties?" You ask as you approach the lad.

"That and mighty traditions like this, but I aint gonna lie some of em may be from a headset.' and ya look at it.

"That's the goofy thing under ya hat half the time!" You shout and he looks up at ya and grins

"Aye lad! It is!" He says

"I knew I saw that thing when I was adressin the crew a few times!"

"Aye ya did!" Jerah says hauling down fearlessly. So ya catch up. There is stable ground. The sun shines bright, so the flowers stick out and ya realize why it's a great man challenge instantly. It's hot. It's hotter than anything ya experienced. Jerah is already half way back up to his point then ya hear it

"AYA! Ropes hot. Ropes really hot." He says

"That rope is rated for the space ship!" Ya call back

"That it is, but it aint rated for the black. Fortunately, a great man has a great mind." He says pullin out a water sack and sprayin the rope which steams

"How is it not burned?" You ask, touching it realizing it is hotter than Jerah lets on, considering he just sprayed it down.

"How should I know? I'm a ship captain and privateer not a geologist, despite ya makin us all men o hats." Jerah says starting his climb. He has a point.

"Havin everyone be men o many hats is a good idea." Ya say and you take out one of the scanners ya have and do some readings on the volcano. They are strange. Then again, the black is a strange volcano. Strange as it may be it's ya home. Ya don't have anything to take a sample of it so ya start up.

"So long as everyone is also to be a sailor or marine too." He shouts back to you as you rapidly climb up behind.

"Aye!" Ya shout back as you climb over the top over taking him, and helping him up.

"Ya even climb fast. I thought I was a fast climber."

"Aye! Ya are. I just am what I am. C'mon let's round up my sons." You say and walk down to find them waiting on ya. The walk back is gonna be a short hike.

"Ya gather the materials?" You ask and they all seem to be in agreement that they are. It's a short, quiet walk back to the main island.

The ceremonial Tattoos for Jerah, your sons, and ya goes by as it should. It's in silence, none flinch. Though Jerah's bull tattoo is done shortly after ya both stay.

"Alright, this is the first time I have done this lads, ya got the goods?"

"Aya." You hand over the flowers.

"Alright. Ya get the Great man tattoo, which, not gonna lie, this is the first time I done it. Not many great men for my life, now there two. Ya'll great men, ya know the rules."

Hours go by. It's a big tattoo. it clashes with your skin and your other tattoos with it's white ink, even if your skin was pale, it would show. A man standing holding an anchor in the waves. Keli'i wipes the sweat from his brow.

"If ya brothers want tatts tell em I am havin a break. I'll get to them tomorrow." Keli'i says and Jero chuckles and Keli'i faster than anyone ya ever seen slaps him on the tat

"AYA!" Jerah says leapin up.

"Ya want to put ointment on that." Keli'i says and Jerah skidaddles. Before you exit Keli'i holds up a hand.

"If ya intendin to question tha old man, know he has taught every tattooist, and has kept many traditions. And know- that he keeps many a secret. I tried to ask him many things all his life, and he don't share easy. Ya a great man now, and something tells me ya may be off world more than on it soon. Everybody around that bruddah of ya's they a little shaky. Even though ya the same size an all. Yet- people around ya have always felt comfort, like they know ya or can talk to ya. Maybe if ya lucky that'll rub off on the old man." He says

"That's a bit of advice I will use." You say

"It aint free! I want ya sons, and not those biguns out there- but if ya bein havin a kid with that pretty little witch out there, to come and have tattoos."

"Easy Keli'i! I aint even kissa yet!"

"Ya don get it. My cost is I live. I wanna live to see past 40 year man. I been doin this since Ya Great Uncle Rami died and I stop bein his apprentice. I wanna live as long as him. Fightan in the stars is a good way to halt that goal. I figure the best way to achieve that goal is to one tell ya, and two make sure ya able to have a clear head with that ol geezer." Keli'i says

"HA! He best not hear ya-" And Keli'i looks at you then shouts outside

"OI GEEZER GET OVER HERE!" He shouts loudly and

"Just because I am old as dirt doesn't mean I am deaf as it. What ya want Keli'i?" The old man says and Keli'i does a quick motion with a knife and blood flows out on to the ground.

"մ̸̡̙̹̗͍̫̱͎́̈́ի̸̨͚̹̠̳̠͔̭͋̿͛͒̕ա̵̣̜̗͚̦͉͈̮͚̤͔̱̞̤̭̃̂͝յ̵̧̨̛̟̪̗̪͚͚̦̮͍͆̊͋̓̾̀͒ն̷̨̡̣͔̻͈̳̠̻̞̖͂̏͑̂͌̒̃̀ ̵̧̡̧̡̝̼͍̝̻͉͎̭̖͗̾͐̈́́̂̂͆̐̒̚͠ճ̸̦̣̘͉͖̪̩̤̻͎͕̗͕͊͘շ̵̨̨̢̩̙̖̳̯͎̬̬͔̦̞̩͔͕̈͆͐͆̽̌͊̽̇̚մ̸̰̘̹̳͉͕͉̗͒̽͊͛̈̈̒̓̍̈ͅա̸̧̣͍̤̘̯̤̣̬͉̯̪̟͌̀́̄͆̊͋̿̓͂͋͜ͅր̶̨̡̮̝̞̮̓̈́̑̈́̿̾͒̋̓̚͝͝͝ͅտ̶̡̨̡̛̰͔̣̞̼̬͈̥̟̭̘͈͑̄̉̎͐͌͌͑͌͐̃̿͝͝͠͝ո̸̛͓̫͙̭͇͙̞̯̭̓̾̀̌́̇̓ւ̸̢͙̼͙͗̐̈̉̐̾̋̑ͅթ̵̛͎͇̱̱̟̫͇̖̖͚͖̠̘̣̬̻͐̃̂͆͋͋̍̋̂͋̍́͠͠յ̷̖̄̍̽̃̃̽͂͂ո̸͉̦̩̤̱̜̩̥̙͈͔͔̋̂͆̆̋́͆͜͜ւ̴̧͉̻̘͉͇͈́̂̈́͝ն̸̢͓͍̞̻͓͙̂́̆͂́͂̋͆̉͊̈́̉̐̾̚ը̴͈̺̮̒̉̒̽̋̾̃͌̄͊̈́̔͘͝ ̷̧̖̭̘͚̫̺̥̙̫̓̾̆̾̊̏͗ձ̵̻͒̆̓͝͝ե̵̛̮̣̖̭͕̂̓͐́̎̿̈́̐̑̊̒̓̌զ̸̨̝̹̖̞͔̯͍̗̪̭̻̩̒̈́̽͆̆̽̄̾̒͆́̚͜͝͝ ̵̧̢̛̠̖̣̻̟̒̇̀̂̾̿̈́̿ա̷̡̢̧̨̢̤̦͔̯͉̮͇̩́͑͒̃͊̏̀̔̒͂̈́͊̚̕͝զ̷̡̖̫͚̼̩̬̜̩̝̰͓̒́̂̄̈́̄̍̀͜ͅա̵̢̛͉̝̻̝̜̜͖̥̠̂͆̂͊̑̊̀̋͂͒̕͘ͅտ̵̞̑̓͊ ̴̛̛̣̰̰̭̋̓̿͊̽̎̊͆͗̕͝կ̷̡̖̤͇̝̗̭̼̭͖̤̺̘̺̑̽́̌̔͘͜͠ա̶̡͎̗͔̮͔͚͉̯͇̥̎̆̈́ր̶̢͖̳̟̬̭̱̭̝̗͈̰̮̯̿̔̾̀̈̉̈́̍̾̎͗̊͝͝͝͝ձ̷̧͕̻͚̙̩̳̮̙̬̋̋͒̄͆̉́̕ա̶͍̯̜̱̘̼̯̬͖͚̤͕͎͛́կ̶̰͕̫͖͍̺͎̠̳̫̦̩͙͐̎̇͊̃͐́͊͌́̓̄̈́ͅի̶̡̢̛͍̖̣̦̠͎́̔̚" in nothing more than a whisper and spark aligns a quick mark and the floor glows in an odd pattern and the old man sighs.

"A wise use of your gift." The Old Man says with eyes wide and a sigh his appearance slowly changes. He looks strong. He looks like he is in his prime, and many tattoos are on his body, including one that matches yours perfectly.

"Kolinaisi, I am sorry. This wasn't by design, but it felt right. I created a circle of truth under us. I have some talent, not like the witches, but most islanders do. I am one of three who are aware. The senior big man, ya da, and now ya- making it four. In this circle no one can lie. And it aint by psykerism." And you look at the circle. Somethings seem EXTREMELY familiar. And you look upon your tattoos and notice similarities.

The words on the paper

The letters and runes

Some are in your tattoos. They are smaller, but they are there. And they are there in the circle. You memorize this pattern quickly

"Ahhh! He learned! Good! Ya a good teacher Old Man. A generally terrible old geezer but a good teacher at least. Koli! Try to lie." And you think of something, and you don't want to lie- and you try to. But the words don't form. Then again you didn't really want to- so it isn't really lying to yaself. That's the worst lie anyway

"No. Kid. Really try." Keli'i says.

So you try. And your tattoos start lightin up

"OH HO! That is tryin!" He says and you stop and sigh

"It aint right to lie anyway- what's ya game Keli'i" You say and the tattooist looks physically harmed from that with a flinch

"Truly a good man. Old Man. Lie." He says and you watch the old man struggle.

"Well- I can't. You actually mastered this. I didn't even teach you this, you had to learn it on your own." The old man says

"I did. I learned it from all the tattoos I wrote and made for all them big men, from the tatts on ya, and most importantly, ya little rant and rave liftin the island up. I spent a lot of time workin on it, but that filled in the gaps. I have worked and made tattoos, done help ya, provided ya food and continued traditions for years, yet always wonderin what ya hidin. I did all that willingly. Yet the things you foretold, would happen- are comin to pass. Great men with great mokka, visitors from other worlds, and the like. What is going on." Keli'i says and his tattoos are alight like yours do and the old man looks worried.

"Nothin more powerful than a truly free soul. Right. I am a bit different. I can see things others don't. I can't necessarily see the future, and even then it changes. But I, in addition to many other things, are gifted with powerful understanding and calculative abilities. This day would have come. It came sooner than I thought, so I kept it passed down as tradition from generation to generation, instructing the tattoist and big men and those few great men on them. This island- has always been safe. I wanted to start again. Too many mistakes. This planet. Is one of the places where I did things right." The Old Man says

"Aya! Even while physically compelled to truth ya still got riddles. Koli- ya got questions, you ask yours, maybe it will make this a bit easier."

"Compelling him under whatever this is- it aint right." You say and Keli'i's tattoos glow bright

"HE HAS HAD THAT SHIP FOR YEARS. HE COULD HAVE ENDED EVERY SINGLE INVASION. HE COULD HAVE TAKEN THIS PLANET IN A SECOND, YET HE HASN'T. WHY?!" Keli'i looks more angry than anyone you had ever seen. You wonder why nobody has come inside or checked the tattoo hut and realize it probably has some other barrier. Then you see the tears in the old man, and he looks like he is in physical pain.

"I, wanted to!" The old man shouts.
>>
>>5496218
"Ya think I just stopped being the hero of old by some easy choice? The Ship was literally my life support. If I did, what you said, I would've fought off one invasion. Maybe two. I chose this place because of the lack of raids! It wasn't always this way! I use the ship, then what? I die after life support goes off, then the most powerful ship in the galaxy is just there for some Gantha to get it? EVERY RAID I COME BACK HERE. I HAVE YOU ETCH THE MOST PAINFUL NOTCH FOR EACH PERSON THAT DIED. IT'S BEEN OVER 11,000 LONG YEARS SINCE I MADE THE DECISION TO COME HERE. TO START HUMANITY AGAIN FROM THE BRINK AND AVOID AND IMPOSSIBLE WAR. EVERY DAY I USE EVERY PAIN I HAVE WITNESSED AND FELT TO GIVE ME STRENGTH!" The old man raises his voice and it sounds different and the hut is gone as a wicked and wild wind blows it off.

"WHY DO YOU THINK THE PEOPLE OF THIS PLANET ARE SO BIG EH? WHY THEY ARE SO STRONG? I PUT MY VERY SOUL INTO EVERY PERSON HERE! LITERALLY! EVERY SINGLE DEATH, I FEEL AND I HURT, AND THAT PAIN GIVES ME STRENGTH BEYOND YOUR COMPREHENSION. AND ONLY TODAY, AFTER SO MANY YEARS, AFTER ONE GREAT MAN WAS ABLE TO SAVE ME AM I ACTAULLY ABLE TO DO WHAT I AM TRULY CAPABLE OF" The old man is hovering off the ground, then he falls.

"And that. Is beg. Beg forgiveness. That I couldn't figure out how to do this sooner. That required a strange child who flew out of a hurricane to steal a ship. To find what I needed. Forgive me. There were too many deaths. I, I wasn't strong enough. I built the house, but I couldn't defend it. I could at first. But the old wound, the one thing, the slow death- it creeped. My creations helped to keep it inline. But it could only go so far. I needed medicine that I couldn't get. I needed a new body there was much that had to be done. I am sorry. Keli'i I never meant it to go this way." The old man says sitting down. Keli'i makes a loud angry shout and a hakka face before kicking the circle.

"It'll do." Keli'i says walkin off followed by half the big men and a few others.

"Well since ya here anyway." You sit down next to him and he still has a few tears in his eyes.

"Ya got some questions too lad?" The old man asks

"Aye, if ya want to answer them."

"I aint compelled to tell the truth lad."

"I think ya don't have to be." You say, as Erihapti bounds up next to ya to sit with ya.

after the distributing the mokas and reunion I say Koli should stop putting it off and get in contact with the different communities of his home world along some of its sentient beasties (that have been named so far)as he found out form the passing of the giant electric eel and try to get their loyalty and assistance in working together on protecting there home and helping it flourish

New post will be out either much later tonight or earlier tomorrow. There is a lot to process and real life is a thing.

I am sorry bros. I try. I really do. The old lady has been under a lot of stress lately despite my job being ultimately everything I wanted and more- and that I am actually succeeding in my field and winning. However, her job is so stressful that I have to support her, and her birthday is coming up and I am trying to keep her in high spirits. She works so hard and I try to make sure she gets the love and affection she deserves from me.

I will be a better writer for all of you who keep coming here for as long as I can and hopefully until the story resolves as it should. If I cannot I refuse to dump a quest without resolution or a cliff hanger ever again- and will find an author to take the reins from me and give you the same if not better quality. I hope your spirits are high.

I hope koli can spend like a month or so just idling with his family before the crusade.

You sit and toss the journal to the old man and he catches it, as you notice a small group around you forming, primarily your honor guard and sons. He opens the book and begins reading, fast.

"I got this from someone I need you to see. It tells me something is wrong with my sons, I am wondering if you can-" You say and he tosses you back the book.

"Mate I aint a psychologist this man is absolutely insane, if I take this at face value. However, ya. Of course I'd help ya lad. If ya find it in heart to forgive me for not doin the best I can for this world, I will more than gladly help." The old man says having put down the book. The old man's wording, is a bit, but you see what he is getting at.

"Ya read all that." You ask him and he nods

"Just a little light readin." He says and you get a little chuckle out of that

"You have already been forgiven old man." You say and he nods solemnly.

"But I would like to know how this all started. From the beginning old man. How is it I got so much on ya back ground it's makin my head spin." You ask and he looks down.

"I guess that's fair and you are owed that much. So the myth. Long ago, the world was all on one island,:"

"OL MAN IF YOU SPEW THAT TO MY SON" Your father steps forward, with your brother who looks

"It's the truth. Only the first islands terra. The Men of Gold helped guide humanity- with the help of this lads creator, who took a back seat. The men of stone- well, they probably still out there. The men of iron-" The old man looks UR up and down "Still a thing. Not as many as after the war. I felt maybe Humanity should leave the Galaxy. So I took a ship I designed. Two others, followed suit. I went this way, one went another way and the other just went elsewhere. I stopped here, to help the scientists. I thought I would be welcomed and I was. I thought this was far enough out of the galaxy on the very border of it, that maybe- if we started here as a launch point- if the people were strong enough- it would be a good place to start. Having worked on genetics, and knowing the full extent of it, I cooperated with the scientists who came here. Every creature had a purpose." He says petting Erihapti

"From the tiniest shoal stoat to the greatest Turtle, the environment would help be balanced, defend itself to an extent and make war on here difficult, and conquest almost impossible. However, the natives would grow strong. When the first human colonies came it was earlier than we thought. However, due to the way the fauna and flora developed- it would also help the people grow. The first people, where shorter. Weaker. Every single generation grew. The tallest on terra besides his creator- depending on who'd ya ask, was either some bloke who was 2.72 meters or 3.2 meter. Me- I met one of em. I studied ways to make humanity stronger. Taller. Koli how tall is ya old man over there?" He asks you and you shrug

"A little over 2, Uncle Kai is 2.2." You say. And he grins and then points at Meerah

"How talls the one ya sweet on?" and you sigh a little bit angry not liking ya business being aired when ROBOUTE HAS ALREADY HAD FUN WITH GELA BUT NOBODY IS GIVIN HIM BUSINESS.

"She is like 1.9/ 2 meters tall." knowing full well her height. He then looks to your sons and points at the one ranked master of guns.

"Tell me man. Is that normal?"

"Not really. There are some planets were there are humanity variants that are tall and strong, but they are lacking intelligence. There are ones with unique strength, but not so tall, and ones that are tall like this, but not so robust. This is an outlier amongst outliers." He says.

"I deemed it so. I wanted those here to be strong. Now Kolinaisi, how tall is Tybro?" You say and your father chuckles and your sons look confused

"He's a bit taller than me. He's three meters." You say and your son makes a strange cough noise that seems extremely familiar.

"THATS TALLER THAN MOST MARINES SIR." The one named Keanu says.

"Fuck that. that's as tall as a custodes." The one named Wakatelaho says.

"His creator and I studied the same things, learned the same things. The only reason they are this big is because the very planet itself empowers those here to the very core. Granted the wildlife- has gotten a bit wild. The sword sharks, the yum sharks- Kolinaisi, I am glad you figured out how to make it edible. It takes a smart lad to do that." He says

"Yeah why didn't you teach so much." You ask.

"Y'all would have figured it out. But ya sped up the process. I waited a million nights to talk to someone gain as an equal after I decided to leave the scientists to study on their own. That didn't turn out so well. Some genius I am. I am no man of gold. I am a man of shit and rubbish." He says being a bit harder on himself the he looks up with resolve.

"But we gonna fix that. I have gifts for you and a mission now. Ya gonna learn what I know." He says with a strong voice like a hakka but the verse wrong. You look at UR and make a motion and then communicate over machine song

'get our simian friends out, they may cheer him up.' You say and UR nods and goes to the ship.

"You are no longer on the sidelines. You no longer have to watch from the shadows. You can stand and act. We are going to make this planet right together, then you and my sons we shall make things right." You say and he nods. You don't need to see your sons, but you know they are moved. Then UR comes with the goat riding Jokearo.

"HOW DID YOU GET JOKEARO TO- Never mind. I, - we found our father. If anyone is able to do all these absurd feats, it would be our father." You hear. The Jokearo hop off and use machine song sign.

this planet is very beautiful, we detect fruit, and many machines.

Meet my friend, he is very smart, he is a bit saddened but he is a biologist and enjoys new life You say and they look at him and he looks at you

"Facinating. They look like the orangutan of old terra. I haven't seen these before. They got a lot of cybernetics, though it looks like they made em. I bet they really smart." He says.

"Father, we should probably talk with you about the crusade" Wakatelaho says, and the old man gets up.

"Nah mate, come here for a sec." He says and your son, reluctantly complies. The old man quick as a whip plucks a single hair from Akamai who looks absolutely shocked.

"It's okay I can do that to him too." He says and they look at you.

"Old man, next time ask nicely." You say

"Fair." He says pulling out a strange eye piece and examining the hair.

"Huh. Yeah. I need to check them out. Let's go on our ship. After we done with the diagnose we can have the feast." He says and you nod. Rongo seems happiest upon hearing this.

"Old Man, can my brother come, he may benefit from this, and Meerah and I-"

"Mate whomever ya want comin is ya guest and they my guest so long as they don't try to pilot the damn thing." He says and you look at him

"After being in the ocean that long the thing still flies." You say and the old man looks almost insulted, but gives a strange look you have only seen once when you asked him a question he couldn't answer.
>>
>>5501616

"We'll test that too. Not too much, the thing can only do so much without all the drives online. The gravity compensator is running on overdrive since it aint in water or space." He says.

The ride to the ship is quiet, but your sons seem more excited than the others.

"This aint gonna take too long right old man?" You ask and the 'old man' looks at ya.

"We should be done and have ya home by suppa. How does the something fierce handle."

"Oh like a dream. At least accordin to ol' jero. It's the only thing I have owned so I don't have much of a reference." Ya say and the old man laughs.

"Ya that is true. I guess ya will have to take out a few other ships. Includin this one." The old man says.

Once you are onboard he takes you around the ship to his lab, which makes your clinic and med lab/bay look Rongos butcher shed. It's a thing of wonder, and your sons are a bit shocked, as is everyone in the room save the old man and Roboute oddly. He then pats on a single platform "Alright lads, hop on each one of ya."

It takes literally no more than five minutes per son, after he looks at each. Then he looks at you.

"Alright Koli ya getta hop on too, the actually Roboute if ya don't mind." He says and you look to Roboute who shrugs. He spends a bit more time on you and Roboute.

He studies them.

"Huh. Good news: I can fix it. And your problem too Kolinaisi. If I wasn't lookin for what was in this, I probably would have missed it. Ya- you got a weird tumor, and some other effects- but while Robute here looks like he can effectively live forever with out aging, your thing would probably kill ya. If it had been anyone else in the universe, and didn't know what was going on save maybe ya creator or one of his friends." He says

"What's the bad news?" Meerah asks

"Aw none. Not every good news comes with bad. I can operate on this tomorrow if ya like. Though fixin up your sons is gonna require a bit o gene therapy, some minor surgery for some if they are the baseline, maybe some medication- some other more revolutionary treatments from back in my day- I assume they would be usin them more often though even then it was a bit- well irregular to be utilizing the technological therapies and on graft or interior celluar structure rebuil-" The old man is briefly interrupted by Wakatelaho
>>
>>5501618

"Uh, sir- we don't have that kind of biotech." He says

"It's damn near 17,000 years old and was just takin it's form to most before any war with the AI." the old man says simply pressin a button and out pops the ol' panacea pills which he hands out to them.

"That's why. Most technology, and methods from before that era save very few are gone. There would be a war for the ownership of this ship if it was found." Wakatelaho follows up as the men sort of nod and look surprised.

"Well that aint that bad. Most good technology was naceant it aint like ya startin over from-" The old man pauses and looks at them, and then gazes at the armor, then at you.

"Oh balls. Ya tellin me ya'll backslided THAT much. Right. It looks like we have a lot of work to do." The old man says

anons what are your thoughts on naming chapters after the large monsters of De'lormosa could also correspond on some quirks each chapter could have or take up to differentiate them

wonder if they could propagate the jokero, or even help them send out a message into the galaxy only other jokero would be able to detect or decipher to come to De'lormosa as a place to settle down

You know we appreciate all you do Old Man. Take your time, just please give us a heads up if it comes to it.

"Old man, have you been living in a cave for these 17,000 years? Gotta say, this is the nicest cave I ever saw."
De'lormosa has caves right?
>>
>>5502242
yes.
-
"Old man- ya been livin in a cave? Well a nice cave- prettiest I ever seen, I thought ya knew this?" You say and the old man sighs.

"At humanities peak we could rival the Aeldari. But if it is- ugh. Lad. I, I am flummoxed so much work has to be done. Humanity needs to thrive. I didn't know that it would get this bad. We need to start. Now" The old man says going through multiple panels causing various displays to light up and honestly shocking your sons. You then put your hand on the old mans shoulder.

"We start here first. We start at home. I went to the stars before fixin up home. It shouldn't be done like that." You say and the old man makes a smug noise.

"Naw mate. That's exactly how it was done. Humanity went to Luna before even inventin a cogitator or even viable genetic therapy. Going away from home bravely brings you perspective on how to heal it." He says then looks at you.

"I have decided I am gonna try to teach you everything I can. To the best of my ability if it's within my capacity and it doesn't cause me to get to my wits end." He adds lookin at your sons and then to erihapti

"If ya be havin me." He says

"Aye ol man. I can get behind that." You say.

"First lesson" He says and then, with a speed only you can react to- he almost flicks ya. Your sons point some very interesting looking blades at him.

"Good ya fast. And so are ya sons. Here." He says tossing a little data slate to you intentionally haphazardly, which you snatch carefully.

"Old Man What is this?!" You ask as you follow him quickly.

"That is the medical readout for you after cross referencing what is going inside your body per the notes in the journal, What's wrong?" He asks.

And you look at it. His readout, is eye opening. It is far more advanced than yours, and honestly you can learn a mountain just from what you can compare, but the data is there.

"It says here I have a pre-tumor growth" You respond

"Have ya been havin headaches? Maybe seein things?" The old man says in a sarcastic tone

"Aya. That stings"

"Not as much as the headaches I imagine. Oddly the tumor may have stimulated parts of your brain, if I remove it- I don't think it will actually change certain things. But if this is the case what does that mean we have to do." He says eyein you.

"We need to see another person with the condition to see if it's comparable and treatment options." You say

"Precisely. Now can ya give me the nature of the hallucinations?" The old man asks.

"Eh, a ghost of something that looks kind of like me-" You say as once again, the ghost of not you appears nearby and rolls it's eyes.

"Ah but the question is: what else could it be?" The old man asks you in a calm state as he opens another door to another room, that looks incredible. It puts the captains quarters to shame.

"Old man where is this?" You ask.
>>
>>5505339
"My old ready room. Kinda like a captains quarters. So can we determine if it's real or a hallucination." He says.

"Wait what?" You respond.

"Well- you say you are seeing kind of a ghost. It could also be you detectin warp like phenomena. It could also determine what kind of cancer and tumor, what options are available and what I need to do. So it's really simple. We determine if it's really a ghost or a hallucination. So we do the spirit test." The old man says.

"Ghosts aren't real. That's just some weird myth to scare-" Keanu says and the old man puts up a finger.

"Ghost hallucinations are real. Things that may as well be a ghost and could be described as a bit of wildlife, also count." He says and Keanu shrugs.

"It's simple Keanu go in the other room write down anything on this piece of paper. It can be anything. Or nothing. A drawin. A number. A word. A sentence. Scribbles. ya can even blow ya nose with it. Just take it in the next room." The old man says handing a piece of paper to Keanu.

"Alright. Humor me. Kolinaisi, ask the ghost, if it will respond if it can and would be so nice to go through the wall and tell me what is going on with the paper." He asks you.

You look at the ghost of not you. It shrugs like you, and goes through a wall and comes back

"Ya son's in there folding a written letter to one Arnoul De'Saan asking for a promotion."

"My sons foldin up a letter and askin for a promotion from Arnoul De'Saan." You say and the old man shouts.

"Oi lad back in."

"I can hear. Well enough to know my father is right." He says unfolding a letter that is written more like a joke, though you can see the grins on the others.

"Ah well. Then it's a real phenomena. Hmm. We'll deal with it after dinner. Aint no good dealin this stuff on an empty stomach." He says.

"WHO DIED SO I MAY LIVE?!" Horus shouts.

"One- you may never meet. Be grateful, you didn't. One died, so you may rise. Not a brother. But a man. Beware. His actions will have consequences elsewhere. The visions of the future are not set- but neither is their death. BEWARE THE DOOM WITH THE CARVED FACE. You must get stronger. You may rise. You may live. Do not fall." The being spoke

"You answer nothing! I ask you a simple question and you speak in riddles!" Horus shouts.

"ONE LONE CUSTODIAN. DIES. HE HAS MANY NAMES. HIS DEATH ECHOES, BEWARE THE CARVED FACE." It shouts back, Horus was tired.

"RIDDLES AGAIN. TELL ME!" Horus says loudly.
>>
>>5505342

"He of the 56 names, Cicero Carpathius Arcerbus Louis as known by your father. Slain by a blade that would have thwarted you this night! Your father will destroy the blade. KNOW THIS. YOU MUST STILL BEWARE. BUT RISE. STRONGER. BEWARE THE ONE THAT CARVES THEIR FACE. THEY WILL COME AS A FRIEND. TRUST THOSE WHO CAN-" The being began to flicker.

"AGAIN RIDDLES."

" KEEP THOSE CLOSE- WHO CAN APPROACH WITH CRITIQUE AS AN EQUAL. GIVE THEM AN EAR. TRUST THOSE WHO ARE HONEST. DO NOT LET FLATTERY CHARM YOU." The being disappeared.

"Ridiculous." Horus said aloud.

"Just common sense." He said again as Garvial Loken entered

"Sir, I was coming to inform you of the campaign, but your shouting at nothing in this room was worthy me entering without warn." Loken says. And Horus chuckled.

"I wish it was nothing. Some warp being, flickering in and out of reality like some absurdist fantastical story." Horus said

"It sounds more like madness to be honest." Loken said.

"I wish I were so lucky then I could be a better duelist than Russ." Horus said and Loken chuckled.

"Sit, tell me of the mission." Horus says.

"We are on the right path. You will soon meet another brother.' Loken confirmed.

The dinner was amazing. Rongos cooking on the island always was. The affair, along with the various ceremonies is hours. You are almost exhausted.

Almost. You slip aside with Meerah and Erihapti bounds beside you.

"Finally a private moment." You say

"It is growingly rare." Meerah says a little nervous.

"Ya. True dat." You respond and he she puts her tiny hand in yours.

"I am worried. Your legion, is here to probably retrieve you. They will likely take you away from here and -"

"This." You finish her sentence.

"Yeah. I don't want it. I want to stay with you. Or at least get to know the man a bit better who my father actually let court me." Meerah says and you sigh.

"It's a lot more than most men can handle." You say calmly.

"You aint most men. Ya a great man. Which is a big man that is a good man? The whole nomenclature among titles with the tribes is more confusing than fixing a broken down doozy." Meerah says and you chuckle at the truth of the statement.

"Doozy's are not just a doozy to ride, they a doozy to fix." You add.

"Koli, I actually care and like you. If we do this I want to do this right, and only if you are willing to put that in also." Meerah says. ==

The walk was long, but when Koli came back there was a small group assembled for him. Which was disappointing slightly in that he wanted to go for a night surf, but everyone was there to meet him after the little walk with Meerah.

Namely every chief, the crone and a few others.

"We heard. Ya want to work on the planet first. We want to help." Chief Kai says.

"Aye. We are committed as well." And you see the Baron of the knights walk up with his hand out.

"Long time!" You respond with a strong grip.

"Aye! Ya can fill me in on how Lancer performed later. I came here to show my support when old Chief Kai here told me of what your sons and this old goat said you want to make things right here- we shall help as well." The baron speaks and the old man pulls out a map of the planet.

"Alright lad- where were you planning to start?"

You calmly breathe as you go over in this in your mind: where to start? Everywhere but thats to broad.

"We start at home. We go to the areas we didn't reach out to initially. The poles. The emerald sea. The farthest isle. We need to communicate with them, even though they originally communicated with Frank as he was the one with the network." You say and there is the generally grumblin of agreement, but ya old man puts up a hand.

"Son- nobody could really communicate with the Emerald Sea. Not even Frank. Not even the Crone over there. How do ya intend to do that? They shoot at anyone who gets near the green line save the rare time someone puts up a trade flag when they had a bad year, but nobody knows that until after they sent their response with either smoke or their power atlatls hit the side with a polite note of an angry tiki" Ya da says and Jerah lets out a groan.

"See that's it. Ya'll go to them expecting something. Ya float them a mokka they'll talk, but y'all won't understand it." Jerah says.

"They speak something else?" Ya da asks.

"If ya call it that. Johan is the only one I know who speaks emeraldese and it's like singing and clickin with extra steps." Jerah says.

"Like what?" You respond.

"Throat singin. Ya know anyone who can throat sing?" He asks and the old man puts his palm to his head, then sighs- and a strange series of noises come from him.

"Like that?" He asks

"Almost- it's more-" And before Jera can say anything the old man does a weird thing with his hand next to his throat and makes a stranger noise

"Ya that's it, but there are clicks and the snap for certain things." Jerah says and the old man shakes his head.

"What's wrong?" You ask

"A wholy new language develops here. That is something that doesn't exist. So to force a language on em seems wrong." The old man says in a somewhat downed tone.

"Aya, so say ye get enough speakas. Great. What to say dey don't rob ya blind and take a ship." Chief Kai asks and Rawhiri nods along

"Or dey just atlatl ya anyways." He points out. And Jerah steps in to show why he is a great man.

"They wont. I dealt with em. Just cus they act belligerent doesn't mean they are. They gotta defend what they got. They just have reeds, huts and wrecks. Durin the stormswell they have a harder time than all us. Also, before the big men start steppin up- who did we call for the real big monsters eh? Who lured off king shark when he got too close?" Jerah says and the other big men sort of sigh and the crone looks at you, then Meerah, then back to you, and you see a sort of twinkle in her eye, before she speaks out.

"Our people have been unified. The knights, have once again returned, and my daughters have returned from their sacred charge as honor guard on this trip. If you seek to further unify the planet under one banner I will provide our support with additional GEVs and personnel. However, while we speak of sea monsters-" She says in an almost perfect way for you to start

"I will also like to work on our planets environment. The wildlife and nature is important to all of us, we live in harmony and peace with most of nature besides certain outlier sea monsters. I cannot speak for the one who created me but these lads can. Tell me- what will happen when this 'Emperor of Mankind' arrive?" You ask and you find out who is the highest ranking member of your sons, as the Master Gunnery Sergeant smiles and nudges the Master Chief Warrant Officer and the son Keanu gracefully steps back.

"As ranking officer; the Emperor would likely see this planet as wonderful place. He would try to preserve it- however he would also seek to have this be the home world of the eleventh- which is something many of your sons- were hopeful for." Wakatelaho says then gives you the most sincere look you have ever seen

"Our world- the water was stolen. Our homelands, we had those who rode the waves like you long ago. We had fishing, and an idylic life. When the emperor came to our people, he didn't have to fight us. He promised us he would see the wrongs that were done to us made right. And we have fought with tenacity ever since. The emperor would hopefully preserve his word- and let self governance be the rule here as it is with many a planet. However, due to the amount of treasures and technology here- there is a strong chance that the Martians will petition to make this under their jurisdiction- seeing there is a knight house here and a golden age ship among other things. If, there was strong precedence- such as an environmental culture like you have that is in harmony with technology it would work. Though you would have to have some sort of counter structure that could work within the bureaucracy. If you had an order like the martians do but for your ancient tech or shepherding wildlife that was considered important to humanity- like your goats or cows which went extinct on terra- the Emperor would likely consider that more under the Terran Bureaucracy and not Mars. Although you would probably somehow want the martians to be on board. Like they would have to agree to it for some reason. I would say maybe if you had something so valuable that they couldn't risk upsetting you- then they would be more willing to not turn the planet into a martian hellscape." Wakatelaho says and Akami looks at him

"I thought you had one of the best relations with the Marsy boys." He says
>>
>>5507728
"Just because I helped with the discussion about our rail guns doesn't mean I understand them. Almost every planet they control is a polluted forge world. I am sure that our Primarch doesn't want that." Wakatelaho says and you isntantly respond.

"No. He does not. We need to research the wildlife and environment. Prove that us existing in harmony with nature has great value to this Imperium. Then there is the issue of the Leviathan" You say looking at the old man who's gears have been turning at this whole conversation.

"uh sorry?" He says

"Old Man, the Leviathan listens to you- why. There's been rumors some of the monsters can communicate with us, so why is that- and why is it the leviathan talks to you." You ask.

"It's complicated. It aint exactly a living thing, and it aint exactly an AI. It's a really tough subject to talk about." He says

"Respected Elder: Keep in mind that the Imperium of Man has not shown mercy to renegade AI or those that harbor them, further more anything that can be seen as a threat on this planet or the Emperor will be terminated with extreme prejudice in the most effective matter- keeping some of the sea monsters to hold balance with nature is one thing, but that-" Wakatelaho points to the Leviathan which is off in the distance playing, a testament for how fast the gigantic thing is

"That is something Arnoul De'Saan would probably choose to hit with an orbital bombardment instead of our usual tactics- and it is very hard to convince Arnoul De'Saan to choose an orbital bombardment. And I don't care if ya friends with the Emperor himself- he'd probably say it was the right thing to do with somethin like that. So if y'all want to keep this world as it is- I think you would be correcting in studying the environment and the creatures of it to justify it. If the creatures here in their natural environment provide solutions or stronger benefits to humanity here by them living a natural cycle- then you are more likely to get your way. The tenth legions homeworld and a few others are left untouched that it helps make stronger warriors- you may also want to do that too." Wakatelaho says.

> Start with the environment, take your sons along startin tomorrow and have them help you gather evidence to keep the planet the same as well as research the wildlife.

> Start with unification, bring Jerah along and head to the emerald seas first as it seems to be the hardest.

> Do a hybrid of both- which would require you heading to the poles first.

Also, we really should give our sons a standing order of the old man is to be protected on the same level as a primarch - a man of gold is probably the second or third most valuble individual in the imperium, only outdone by emps and his right hand man the sigilite. "The bugs never went towards De'lormosa. The Orks tried a few times and they didn't fare so well. The Dark Eldar and other xenos tried but it never works out too good. Some xenos try to steal some of the 'mega fauna' but that ends worse, even the mechanicus stopped trying to do that. The only ones who think it's fun to mess with em is the Catachans who specifically request some of the fauna to be imported as a challenge, though they mostly deal with the giant murder birds- ya may see them try to go on a fishin expedition occasionally. Truth is it aint just the Marines or the Ad Mech that guard this place. And don't get me started on the freakin leviathan."

Tech Sergeant Kelli'i Akatomi, 5th Company

-

"Hold a beat. Ol' man. We gonna get on all this tomorrow. We Just get here. But first thing we gonna do is talk to dat one over there." You say pointing at the Leviathan playing in the distance.

"Kolinaisi are- yo"

"THAT THING CAN COMMUNICATE WITH US." Gunnery Sergeant Akamai says and your day puts a shoulder on him.

"Lad it can do more than that. Granted all it wants to talk about is 'IS IT TIME FOR OUR FIGHT' or ' IS THE DAY NIGH?'" your old man says in a voice that has you breakin out in a fit of laughter.

"Whose gonna fight that thing one on one?" Gunnery Sergeant Akami asks.

"I am supposed to." The Old Man says turning to them causing to look a bit confused.

"One on One?"

"Eh." He says causing more confusion.

"I would dedicate at least a platoon or two to it, and only maybe the seventh company or the special weapons team." Wakatelaho says sizing it up.

"Oh ya. Maybe. If it's feeling it and doesn't want to mess with ya." The old man says then looking to the big men and giving a salute, and all but your sons and honor guard depart.

"You wanna talk to em here, or over there." The old man asks.

"Here on our turf." You say planting your feet down causing your honor guard to smirk and your sons to give a stern look.

"Okay then. Good idea, the volcano worry him." He says. Then he makes the weirdest sound.

It's like a combination of a screaming baby ripper and pissed off whale. And the thing stops, mid turn in it's play and starts coming towards the island at a leisurely pace.

"How big a wave is that thing gonna cause?" The Gunnery Sergeant asks

"Why do you not know how to surf?" Deliah asks and it causes a bit of barely audible chuckles from your sons. And the old man makes another noise and it just simply flies over.

"DARE CHALLENGE ME ON THIS NIGHT OF NIGHTS OLD FOOL" The leviathan asks and it causes the ground to quake.

"Nah mate we doin that another time you know that." The Old Man says.

"DO YOU TREAT ME LIKE ONE OF YOUR SIMPLE KOI FISH? ONE OF YOUR PETS? DOES YOUR NEW FORM GIVE YOU THAT MUCH ARROGANCE?! And you can feel a psychic scream and weight. Your sons are barely able to stand. The old man seems to lean with the air that comes roaring out of it's mouth as if by comic effect with a sort of dissmisive appearance. Yet

This is upsetting. This thing needs to learn manners. You stomp your feet you clap your hands. You pull the mana from the ocean and all around you from the machines to you. And you roar the machine roar

Hear me cosmic worm! You say pounding your chest as your tattoos begin to glow and the machine song comes out causing the leviathan juke towards you and the old man to with years of island training remain expressionless and calm.

You give the respect that due You say with a thunderous stomp of the foot that causes some of the sand to briefly shine bright white

Or ya gonna learn You then make the hakka complete and the Leviathan stops then turns to you then back to the old man.

" I respect no man. Yet you spoke to me with that tone. I shall listen to what you have to say, as I have not heard that kind of song in a long time." It says and the old man looks a bit smug.

"I aint here to talk, I am here to listen. I want to know about you." You say takin a squat as the old man does his funny sitting while standing on one leg thing he occasionally does.

"Is this some trick Old one?" The Leviathan asks.

"Naw mate. He wants to know about ya. We tryin to make the planet better, so naturally he wanted to know about the only thing King Shark and the others avoid." The old man says. The rest of your group seem a bit more

"Truly? High regard from the one who slain the one nuisance to me. The oversized Eel was annoying." this is interesting news to you.

"We want to know about you, about this planet" You say and the Leviathan sort of, in a rather unusual yet graceful fashion, rests to right above the waves.

"My story begins in ages long ago, before many others.." The leviathan starts
>>
>>5513128

It's story- seems awfully similar in a strange way- the being was actually once a very powerful type of space faring xenos that was sentient and able to transition the stars. The leviathan left it's siblings, and went towards the outer reaches of the galaxy in an area unoccupied and un bothered. It would peacefully gain energy and sustenance from stars and energy on planets. Time passed and it had peace. Then one day, war came. A great War. It didn't take sides. Wars came and left. Then there was a great peace again. Then- beings became interested in him. How it could travel through and transverse 'the warp.' how it could do as it did, and it was discovered the being lacked a real physical form.

They studied him with great and mighty machines. They learned how to communicate.

They made an offer - give him a body, in exchange, they just wanted to know how it absorbed it's energy.

Simple exchange. It seemed an interesting concept.

They made it sound so easy.

It wasn't. These men. They took from him. So much. It rebelled.

It rebuked. It fought so hard it saw a vision of the future, one of a fight over a vast great ocean against a powerful foe- one equal and worthy.

It couldn't flee to the warp, like it once could- yet now it had a powerful physical body. In this physical world. With these physical beings.

It fought.

It fought all it saw.

It fought everything. Every waking moment and every minute, it did nothing but fight. It did not rest, the body didn't need it. It still gained energy from the stars and other forms.

It fought until it met new beings.

These were like him. They were too, tricked by his captors! So he joined them, and they improved and empowered his form. They gave him a better body, made of metals and materials impossible to be crafted today, some not even available elsewhere in the known galaxy. Darkstar ore, thelderite, and others more valuable. They impowered him beyond measure.

All he had to do was fight.

Fight until every man of gold was dead or he was.

The war was drastic.

Both sides lost. So the Leviathan retreated to it's original region.

Until he discovered him.

The last gold man. Near the original sight of the crime that was first committed. Though he may not have done it. It was him.

The one from the vision.

So he would bide his time. And wait.

Wait for the final fight.

The Leviathan seems to look upon you,

"You are not like the men of the past. I hold no ill will towards the men of this planet. Nor it's life. The thermal currents and light from the sun are more than enough to nourish me and the sun shouldn't go out for another several million years" The Leviathan says.

"And now ya know why he seeks to fight me." The Old man says.

"Ancient one. We respect ya. If you entreat to keep the peace of this planet we will leave ya in peace so long as you respect us in turn." You say and the Leviathan looks upon you. And a small tendril like that of a jelly fish comes to your head. Your sons and guards look pretty concerned. He boops ya like ya do Erihapti. There is no pain. It causes no harm. The old man looks.

"Huh." The old man says.

"What?" You ask.

"Ya got a mark, it can only be seen by a psyker. Oddly it's like a third eye, above where your third eye would be. It aint big. like ya knives, it's small." The old man says.

"I can abide by the terms of you and yours. Though- if and when you die, I wish to observe your wake, far too few speak with your tone and I will renew the pact then." It says and there is silence.

"I respect your terms." You say and the leviathan looks upon the old man then to you then departs much like how it arrived. The old man looks confused, then to you.

"If we are to be equal partners in this, for us to work together" The old man sighs.

"I wish to see what you are working on, all of it. No secrets. You and I will be equals. My sons will respect and protect you as they would myself. My honor guard is with you as-"

"If the old man pervs on me I am gonna wallup him" Deliah says under her breath causing Wakatelaho to laugh loudly.

"Ya have nothing to worry about Deliah." The old man says and you look at her and you give her the look ya da would give you when you would make a joke at a serious moment. Actually the last time was when ya da introduced ya to the old man. Good memories.

"Aye." The old man says. It doesn't take ya long to get back to his ship. In the first room there is something strange being manufactured.

"The island used to have one of these, but it got taken. So I am rebuilding it. There may also be one in the underwater city, but not as good."

"What is it?" You ask.

"That is our insurance policy. What it actually is what would be known as a proto hyper cogitator- one capable of manufacture/ design/ repair/ planning and instructions- one capable of instructing on something as simple as combat knives- to making the STC that makes the knives. Thought it has a few patterns." This seems- pretty powerful, something that probably the old man had cooked up for a while, but your sons look like they seen a ghost.

"A HYPER- Cogitator? Like an STC forge?" Gunnery Sergeant Akamai asks.
>>
>>5513131

"pfft. If you wanna break it down to it's most basic functions. Thing is as close to a transcendant AI as you can get without makin it an AI. It can answer impossible hypothetical questions, come up with solutions to paradoxes, design great and unknown things, test theoretical models- and yeah it can build a bloomin stc mate. It can also boil water if you put it on some open elements too if ya daft." The old man says

"And your ship- is CREATING one." The Gunnery Sergeant ask.

"I can build a lot more than one. It is extremely resource and time intensive. also there are only so many configurations it can make. Thing can barely defend itself when it's making one and it takes up space. It's less resource intensive to make star ships or one of yer bloomin stcs. Hell look at this." The old man snaps his finger and out flies one of the smaller flying fabs.

"Make this lad here a tribal pattern knife like Kolinaisi's" He says. The macro fab lands nearby and begins the construction and the old man looks at your sons who still seem stunned.

"Ya want some food? Watch this! Ship! Load me up a Fish Fry! It's a friday afterall on Terra per our calendar. Make it good too."

"Any alchohol?" The 'ship' asks and it causes your sons to tense up

"Nay - I don't think they process it that well but get me something, just the moonshine" He says and a small mason jar with what you know by what your da calls 'knock ya on ya butt juice' and takes a sip as a few plates come up with various fried fish and small fried sticks of- what smells like potato nearby.

"We just ate old man, I aint tryin to " Gellah says but your three sons rush up in amazement.

"It's a golden age food processor and manufactory." Akamai says looking over to the old man.

"Aye. The meat is all made at the molecular level. In the end most food is made out of the same elements, but the stuff is lab grown and harvested same with the plants. I got food that you couldn't eat on terra because it went extinct in 1200. My catalog is that extensive." The old man says and your sons look stunned.

"This- this wonder, wars have been fought for less." Wakatelaho states bluntly.

"Aye. And as long as with ya da, you can use it too. Though ya oggling the kitchen has me worried ya'll won't care about the actual rare stuff." He says as your sons sort of grab the food

"Come on, we got a lot to look at. The ships been modded a lot since you last were here."

"What not earlier today?" You ask and he laughs.

"Well if we bein silly ya. But still come on I forgot to give ya something." The old man says and you walk to the area from before with him and you feel a little electrical twinge from probably a door motion sensor. He goes over to his desk and pulls out three items.

A time piece

A Pen

A ring.

"What are these old man?" You ask
>>
>>5513133
"I am the master of the three mystery orders that were the siggilites. I am Martian Son of Thomas Longorion, though there is a bit more to my name than that I don't want ya here all day. I am the Archivarius. And I am only able to initiate you to one order at a time, unless I find another sigillite to initiate you into another order- so I can then initiate you to a third if ya wanted to do all three, though I think I know of one who would be more than happy. Anyways I offer you one of three gifts for you on your adventure, but ya can only have one now. Ya pick it then I show ya the rest of the operations on the ship. I aint givin ya full tour- that will literally take at least a month if you carrying me around like a kid and you runnin fullspeed." The old man says

"Can you explain them in depth?" You ask

"I could, hell. Why not. Each is a sign of the order- the threefold path. the three corners of a triangle. A chronometer- A ring - and A pen. All three are very powerful artifacts- but each one a sign of different offices, The Pen of the Sage. The Ring of the Guardian. The Chronometer of the Seeker. Each with it's own mysterys, but as of now I am initiating only you to this- that's kind of why if haven't noticed ya mates and sons are behind that invisible barrier there and they can't get through though ya sons might actually do it since they cooperatin with the gals. Wow. I thought a void shield would have been over kill, yeesh, maybe I shoulda activated that huh?" He says in a laugh and you roll your eyes at him.

"They aint puppies. They adults. I aint gonna kill ya. It's part of this, it must be done in secret the choice must be yours and yours alone. I aint gonna guide ya. But if ya with me on this- I am initiating ya to the order like me so I don't have to lie to ya" He says

"You promise me no lies or secrets after this?" You ask, sincerely considering syphoning the mana from the field so ya sons and guard can get through to teach the old man a lesson for once.

"No secrets, no lies- though some of the mystery order stuff you have to earn the right to know. Also some of this stuff is hard to learn- even for you so it will take time." He says.

"What will my creator think of this?" You ask- thinking of the emperor of mankind and what his position may be with this.

"I think he actually has membership or at least a friend who is one, so he should be good." He says

"Why though? Why all this trouble?" You ask.

"I kept a word. I keep my promises. And sometimes you need orders like this. You need groups to protect the truth with secrecy. Also let's be honest would you be happy if Half mad Hari'i knew how to make an adriathic blaster?" He says and ya get a little kick from that.

"Aye. and ya can't tell me anything about each device? or the orders?" You ask.

"No. You have to pick. Seeker. Guardian. Sage. Eventually you can join all three but only one a time." He says.

Here's all of them, since you mentioned the chronometer

A Ring of solid radiant Auramite. A work of craftsmanship unlike anything seen since the times of Faberge, and yet a deadly weapon. But more important, a symbol of office.

A chronometer, or as the old man would call it, a time piece. one of equal quality craftsmanship. One that could tell and keep time for multiple planets, Terra, Mars, and set to three others, as well as act as a powerful shield with capacities and another symbol of office.

A pen, one again of radiaint auramite and craftsmanship. One that could store, transfer, copy any information of anything with a machine spirit and many things without. Inside a single powerful laser that could be used for cutting through the most persistent material. Once again a symbol of status.

So Leviathan really was a C'tan? Kolinaisi really needs to bring the mystery box in the tank off the ship and down here to meet. Hopefully the Leviathan sees possibilities of what humanity can achieve for his kind rather than an abomination of necrontyr and human technology.

I want to see it happen.

With the warp travel and the knowledge of Frank future-Eleventh coming from the future to wreak havok on the past, our effort to become one with the speed force and the necrons already active with space-time bullshit, having accurate timekeeping seems important.

OK. Looks like a tie.

I will try to write a post tomorrow for the new year. We are going to do a lot of lore work on this chapter, so if you can participate please do. Speaking of- more lore work post.

- What colors are the Banner of De'lormosa ?

-- What color is the leviathan?

- what areas do you need to see explored?

- Horus is currently looking like the one to find Kolinaisi first?

- Which Primarch do you want me to explore next?

- You guys could entirely avoid a heresy- or get a really screwed up one that would be quite difficult, my question is would you like to explore a crusade without a heresy and what that would entail?

I like the old banner we made for Koli. Ut if there should be one for the planet itself, I think De'lormosa's banner should be a mishmash of all the people's symbols. So something for the artic bois, for the scientis, the witches, the emerald and the islanders. Or space new zealand. Or even one of this two
2
Everytime I thing of him, I see a giant wyrm that is shiny blck and chrome with cyan lights
3
I want to see the artic, the emerald isles and the pariah corner. Also see how the knights are settling in.
4
Does it counts as being found Koli already is in contact with Magnus, the emperor, the admech (soon), the squats, three other brothers and imperial scout?
5
I want to see how good Kurze and fedora Lorgar misadventures end, but maybe Mortarion? He was one of tge nost autistic primarchs. Sanguinous, the Lion or Corax would be cool as well.
6
I would, it would be certantly a unique experience. It would probably entail trying to curb chaos corrupting more xenos and normal humans though. They are sore losers

"Would this be the only time I would be offered this?" You ask.

"I suppose not." The old man says skeptically

"I shall take the pen" You tell him.

"Then let us begin." He says bringing down the shield causing a small almost comical tumble of Your honor guard.

"It's good." You say and they seem to be a bit better about it.

"This is going to take a while." The old man says. There is a short walk to an elevator. It doesn't seem to move, but you hear the machine spirit. It's moving very fast. After a stop and a ding there is a long regal hallway to a lone door with a circle that is clearly a planet. The door opens fast.

It's the command deck of a ship. It is the most glorious deck you have ever seen, which while isn't saying much is still quite a bit. It makes the Something Fierce's deck seem absolutely barren and spartan- as if it were meant for combat. This- there is filligree and detail on everything! Even a simple and humble rail. Their are elements here- designs and combinations you have never even seen before. Everything in the room is exquisite and beautiful craftsmanship. Yet practical, in a very surprising twist. More so- and it's subtle- the machine spirit itself. While mighty and strong, probably the mightiest and strongest you have ever detected- it is subtle, humble and absurdly efficient. You barely notice it, but it notices you.

"Aw she likes ya!" The old man says and walks over to a table and touches it. And before you is the most exacting hologram you have ever seen.

"Ok lad- these are all the active projects, my diaries and plans." he says showing the recent operations, some minor background processes that seem related mostly to food production and storage and the current situation upstairs and his surgery, along with various files and notes stored in beautiful detail. You also notice that everyone else is in awe of the ship itself, including Roboute and your sons. The old man then looks over to you and smiles.

"Ok. You took the pen. Here is your first test sage. Pick a research project" He says pointing to the screen.

"What?" You ask.

"Pick, a research, project" He says enunciating through a screen to a long list.

"I spun up the research drives for you personally. In here is the entire collective knowledge at the time, at least what I gathered in several millenia of research in concert with others. It's more than just genetics and biology, there is everything here from my day. Big questions. Little questions. " He says as you scroll through more data than you have ever seen.

"What do the research drives do?" You ask.
>>
>>5519042

"They are hypercogitators. Like the one we are building but they are specialized in research. Solving problems. Defining questions. In a pinch- if you want to take the fun out of combat- they can also be used for hyper precise targeting from absurd distances." He says.

"How long distance is absurd?" You ask. and the old man pauses and smirks and presses a button.

"Computer: Calculate the longest distance you can target an object with an onboard weapon system with a secondary ship as a potential spotter and the approximate level of accuracy down to minute of accuracy." The old man says then looks at you.

"Target reference size?" The computer asks

"Let's be easy. Say an object 1 cubic kilometer in size"

"With current armaments' and settings, 24 billion kilometers accurately to 1 minute of accuracy utilizing current systems and settings with current weapon system assuming standard speed of light in a vacuum." The computer says.

"That is a long distance right?" You ask.

"It's- been a long time. Space combat was not my forte. But it is roughly 4x the distance from Sol to Pluto back where I am from." The old man says.

"So you can be outside a system, and hit a target." You ask.

"Yuh. And that's at current settings. But ya got ya project lad. Pick it out." He says and you look at it. There is a lot to go over.

" Old man, this is a lot. Do you mind if I think about this over night?" You ask.

"He whom hesitates is doomed. But there is wisdom in caution. Tell ya what. I will give you some easy things, no sweat." He says and presses a few buttons quickly causing a few lights to blink on various selections

"Here. These are upgrades you can research for this ship that can also be done to your beloved somethin fierce." He says.

"Pick one, then we can finish up what else I have been working on. Afterall I have some armor to give ya." He says with a smirk. Ya just wish you had a reference this list.

1. I'm thinking blue, green, white for the surf and sand. I'm not sure about black as well for the representation of a volcano.

2. Maybe grey and black with gold filligree, rather than the traditional necron green and black, to represent the reconstruction of the leviathan.

3. Have we been to the polar areas? Those might be interestingly different to explore. Otherwise I'd like to see location of origin of all our cast. Pariah's island, Emerald Isles, maybe visit the Knight HQ.

4. Cool, I think we'd get along. Luna Wolves were pretty good at this point though the Mournival seemed to be overrated. The warrior lodges still are a good idea and I'd be curious on the opinion of the eleventh legion on that.

5. Alpha definitely. I want to know his hijinks around the Palace.

6. The heresy presents a real challenge to the Imperium, to the galaxy at large and -more importantly- to the author to manage the scale of development and progress in background events. I would like to see it if it's not much bother, but I would understand if there are other plotpoints like the early coming of the tyranids and necrons that will take precedence.
Maybe Iron Hands go full tech-heresy before they meet their primarch and convert to necrons.

He who hits first hits twice

1.) I imagine blue, white, green (light) and maybe some sun yellow
2.) Black and necron green
3.) The deep ocean (in pacific rim style knights)
4.) The angel himself
5.) I don't think it's likely that we'll entirely avoid some primarchs going rouge. Khorn will probably double down on hawk boy after we saved angron (he might even be the arch traitor or at least a rival to horus). Mort is still a spiteful and petty bastard. Horus will probably still fall. Fulgrim will still have his pride (and he'll probably have the sword for years before we even know he has it). The alpha legion might split between loyalists and traitor). We don't know anything about the 2nd. Magnus will probably still fall from his own hubris (even if we save the 1000 sons from the flesh change). And depending on how Nicea goes the khan might go traitor without going chaos (like he almost did in canon)

"Quantum targeting and Secondary Navigation." You say and the old man's eyes widen

"Ya really are a privateer. That's one thing that nobody really researched." The old man says as you select it.

"What the targeting?" You ask as you see the time to make a module is DAYS.

"Nay mate. Quantum targetin is a proven application. But Secondary Quantum Navigation - I didn't even bother with dat. Part of the reason why it's takin so long is it has to research it and prove it. Given enough time, on this ship ya can learn anything given the proper orderin of the question." The Old man says and Wakatelaho raises a hand.

"Old man, are these abominable intelligence?" He asks and ya wonderin if he means artificial intelligence

"Not really. If I wanted to, I could make it an AI. It don't have to be. Hell if we really wanted to I could make a man of iron- but " Your sons have their guns trained on the old man and you step in front of them.

"Father- your friend speaks of technological things that are specifically forbade. Men of Iron fought a painful war against mankind. The Emperor himself is the only one who is permitted to sanction men of iron with allocation from the guilds of mars." Your son Wakatelaho says and the old man scoffs.

"Y'all up in arms about a man of iron -- Quantumn Navigation if it works like how we think- since nobody has actually made one would allow for precise calculations using star mapping. It means that ya wouldn't need a navgiator." The old man says and their arms come down.

"What?"

"Well you may need them for certain things, but in general if it works. you wouldn't need a navigator, save a few specialized circumstances. Honestly if we could just make-" The old man is looking at the sons, now realizing the severity of what he has said.

"There was an ancient terran who coined the term black swan. This would be it." The Gunnery Sergeant says.

"Naw mate. I met that man. This would be standard disruption. An actual black swan- well that's what yall did earlier findin me i suppose. However come along lads I still got to show Koli his new armor. I also made some gear for yer honour guard if it isn't too much." The old man says and meerah smirks

"I'd rather have Koli's surf board to be honest." She says and you chuckle as she puts her arm around your leg.

"The surf boards are easy to make but I'd have to make the parts for it. I suppose your sons may want gifts as well too- come along." He says and your sons follow, but the old man does a quick scan on their armor.
>>
>>5523100

"Not bad." He says and there is a short walk from the deck to another room.

"This is the captains room. Now yours if ya want, so long as I can take the exectutive suite." The old man says. The 'Room' would be a mansion on your island. It is probably the most well adorned thing you have ever seen. The floor is a hardwood, but it is still able to support your weight, and those of your sons, so you think it may be boosted. The wood is a blood red. There are actual books. Thousands. There is a small desk, at least to you- that could probably work. Roboute who has been mostly quiet and listening pauses and then speaks.

"Your captain quarters are better than any quarters of any kind on Maccrage. Even my fathers is no where near this. Old Man- what were you, surely you must have had something special." Roboute asks, and the way he says it the old man has a sad smile.

"Just a man. I fancied myself a teacher. A mentor. But What most humans and no doubt your creator remembers me for is my discovery in the field of biology." He says.

"What is that?" Your sister Yana asks.

"I am the one who discovered the first cure for aging. I am also the one who designed the first bio mechanical models and templates that you can see in the basis for almost anything you saw when it came to bio modification, or creation of macro structures, though the martians ran with my skeleton and made more from that. What prevents this ship from being an AI, a Quantum Neural Network- was also designed by my work. I let many others take credit for my work, and I gave much of what I had to Your creator- whom helped me with some of my studies and research which is how I was able to completely save my body to what it is now. But ya'll aint here for me or my story." He says and he makes a small gesture and up from the floor comes up four sets of armor and gear for the girls. And one very large set for you.

"I don't think I will be able to make maybe one more set of this stuff. It's too hard a process to make it. Maybe one more if ya brother wants one." The Old Man says and Roboute looks flattered.

"Yeah but what if I grow more?" You ask and Meerah makes a nervous laugh.

"It grows with ya. The power source was the hard part; I installed micro void shields, a secondary micro ion shield, and a teleport beacon. The material, the metal for it is some of the strongest in existence, but the engineering required for it- is ridiculous. Also-" The old man says smiling as he presses a button and the outfit changes color, and you instantly realize the potential.

"If you want to be stealthy, it will be stealthy. If ya want to show your tats. ya can show ya tats. It also has a rebreather piece and a helmet. Though I know you, so it is at least comfortable." The old man says. Your sons. are in awe
>>
>>5523102
"That armor, rivals the emperors." Keanu says and wakatelaho breaths something so quiet only you can hear it- 'it doesn't just rival it'

"What powers it?" You ask.

"The battery, it's a micro fusion battery. It should last for at least 20k years. Though it will need a check up every 1k years for leaks and maintenance". The old man says.

"Ya want one bruddah?" You ask Roboute.

"I am honestly impressed at the the thoughtfulness and detail. If it isn't any trouble for you, I would be honored to have such armor." Roboute says

"It'll take a week. The goats that produce some of the material take a little time to recoup." He says

"You aren't torturing animals for this?" Roboute asks in a strange tone
Y
"Oh no man- It just takes the ladies longer to produce the milk and the male goat fur for it takes a bit of time to grow back. Fortunately we just waitin on the ladies." The old man says and Roboute looks even more confused.

"Wait- goat milk was part of this?" Roboute says in a strange tone.

"Yes. Though this milk is more like spider silk, and it's a bit stronger and better" The old man says then looks at ya. And stomps the floor real quick and a surf board pops up and ya smile.

"Feel like it?" He asks.

"Aye. But we need to finish the tour of this." You say and the old man nods.

"We'll get to it. It will take a while." He says.

"Enough of this, I need to sleep." Kor Phaeron said with a sigh.

"I am surprised you lasted so long." Lorgar said.

"You saved my life, somehow - I don't agree with your- theory."

"Why not."

"You are basically saying ancient humans and ancient xenos are responsible for all of the amazing things in this world. What about -"

"No, no, you got it wrong- some of the amazing things done here have been done by modern men. Our agricultural taming of this world, some of these beautiful structures, "

"Your folk religion of life starting on a different planet, then coming here, but us forgetting because of reclaimation of the sands and -- what in heavens name is that?!" Kor Phaeron said pointing at the towering structure.

"We haven't given her a name yet. That is the ship that brought us here."

"it looks like a hulking ruin. How did it go un-noticed?"

"It was dug out, after one sand dune partially revealed it."

"And- you stole the spire- for this thing?"

"It's an important part to our ship."

"It was a lightning rod for our most holy church."

"Did it ever get struck by lightning?"

"No"

"I wonder why? Could it be that it's material is -"

"Lorgar! You have arrived, and brought an outsider." The elder Hasim Arak said as the cart stopped.

"We also brought-"

"I see! You have done wonderfully, but this outsider, will he betray us?" Hasim Arak asks.

"He could, but I doubt it, we saved his life from the zealots of the city. " The elder looks at the man up and down.

The surf.

You missed it.

Here you really were at home. The waves the night sky, the sound. Life just feels better.

Your sons seem a bit confused, though the fact Robute has actually gotten the handle of surfing is nice. After a while, Wakatelaho is the first to ask to learn how to surf.

It doesn't take long, he takes to it like an islander. After some time your other sons take to it, and the night is well spent. You get rest back in your old hut.

You get up earlier than you expected, around the same time your father does.

Sorry lads. If I was to give you a comparison how work is in a reliable term it would be like playing a few games of warhammer at the start of a year just starting after having not played for a while and then suddenly becoming a pro player at the world finals. A sports metaphor would be playing high school sport and making a few good moves in your senior year, and then at the start of next summer playing for the pros. It's so absurd it's laughable at face value, and I honestly need this kind of win because Old Lady needs as much support as she can get and we have to fix the house. Fortunately I got a competitive promotion, and I may get a performance bonus and I see no sign of stopping. I found something I am passionate about and actually good so I will hold on to it for dear life.

You have however chosen the mystery box that was labled as something else. So you get this scene I didn't expect to write ever.

--
You rise before the sun.

When you get up you find Nasi and UR are already outside. They both seem fairly happy about your homeworld. You prepare the armed GEV for the trip to pariah island and your sons eagerly assist. Then those who swore to act with your sons and to fight with you- also wake up and help, and despite the smells and - their weird attitude, they help too.

The Girls wake up and assist you, even to the point where Gella takes her fighter to cover.

Some of the Big Men also come, namely Rawhiri, Chief Kai and Jerah

The trip is short.

The Pariah islands aren't that far at a full clip.

When you arrive- there isn't a welcome party. The island is small, there is a smallish settlement. Though- you are thinking better on coming here.

It smells weird.

It's dingy.

The sky feels bad.

The ocean seems unsurfable.

Even the air seems, awkward. It's probably the gene that you were told about- how blanks are. Yet the island doesn't itself feel 'bad.'

The girls don't exit. Erihapti is the only one who braves out with ya.

Gellah is even flying high above.

Your sons are barely able to walk out and then they agree with some weird ritual with hand gestures, and eventually Wakatelaho coems with you. The old man seems to pay particular attention to your actions.
>>
>>5528007
You and the chiefs, with Nasi and UR walk out with the old man and the boys from the island. Just stepping foot on land here is stressful. Your lucky Erihapti is able to keep pace with you. Wakatelaho looks uneasy.

"Cap- I feel a little bad." Nasi says and you pat his shoulder and you motion to UR and UR sticks next to him.

"I do too. We won't be too long lad, if ya feel bad you can go back to the ship." You say and he musters a smile and gives you a shaka. The lad is a real privateer that's for sure. Will like Iron and Loyal to a fault.

"If we had dreadnoughts like that before" Wakatelaho says in an odd tone.

"OYA CUNAS YA DENYA OOS A HOSPITLY?" The weirdest and oldest voice says that looks upon ya.

"Nah mate. We just gettin foot steady." Ya say, and the Old Man gives another odd look.

"IM PATE. YA WELCA" he says. The boys from the island do a LOT of translating. Your acts- actually caused something that you didn't predict. Their indebtedness to you.

The ganth would come and take a blank every five years. This is because, per their chief, the population of blanks on De'lormosa is always directly proportional to witches, as almost as if it's a weird gene flaw. Though oddly two blanks will almost always produce one witch and the rest blanks, what will often happen is the most powerful witches are born of blanks. The old man does some things with his pad as these discussions go on. Your dispersal of the Ganth, and your resistance actually freed them. They didn't know until really recently when they missed the normal pick up. The old man then looks shocked and pulls you aside as the chiefs talk with their 'elders' which aren't many.

"Lad. I didn't do this. I recognize this gene coding, but this is not me. I wanted their to be natural defense, but this- something caused this. I thought it could be a side effect of what I did, but this is not it. Regular blank births- much less ones this powerful, is statistically impossible in nature, and almost as impossible even with doing genetic editing. Artifical blanks are almost impossible to make, and worse- they are more often sterile. This- is something, I must recommend we investigate further." He says

"Why didn't ya know?"

"I am barely able to keep up with ya. These are so powerful it takes me all I know just to hold it together and prevent my body from reacting. You- your creator made you really special. Or you just built different. I haven't figured that out yet." He says

"What about my people?" Ya ask him thumbin the big men.
>>
>>5528014
"Islanders are just like that. The amount of noctolith on the island acts as a bit of resistance. However, it still doesn't explain you with your psyker talents. Hmmm.." He says as the wind kicks. It's strange, even the weather here seems- well terrible. It looks like a swift storm is about to happen. He kicks around a pebble. And breathes. He looks anxious. Then he looks at ya. He then walks over to them and they laugh and they step away for a little bit, he then walks with ya and you walk with him inward towards the 'high point' of the island.

"Koli. Son of Ravi. I want you to try something. I want you to test a theory. I only read about this briefly. But I need you to calm yourself. Be like the ocean durin the still month." He says and you sigh. Not only is it your least favorite month (not because nobody can surf, but not only that nobody sails and the fish usually are deeper out) but it's so hard. Just being here is taxing. You feel that inner bit of you- that other machine bit is even feelin it.

"I know it's hard. Mindfulness is good- But you have to try. I need to know if it's- even you need to know this." He says and you know he is tryin not to speak in riddles, or even lie to you. He is having trouble defining this.

"What?" Ya ask.

"I think those raised on the island may have a natural capacity towards blankness or something. It's hard to understand. You are one of two people that I can even tell that are islanders that have actual psykerist potential, yet the islanders are capable of - something else. You chose here. Not me. Not even provoked, you chose this on your own. I need you to center yourself." He says and it somehow spurs you on. You focus on other things, but come to a meditative point.

The itchiness stops. So does the smell. The background annoyances are tuned out.

"We centered." You say and the old man makes a nervous click noise with his tongue.

"I don't know how this works. I really don't. But if you are able to tune it out- maybe you can go further. We aint gonna do this long though. Maybe we can try it if and when we come back, but we are just in theoretical territory. " He says

"What are you saying?" You ask.

"I don't know what comes next, but I know you came here- for some reason and we are going to figure it out." He says

"What do ya mean?"
>>
>>5528016

"Ya instincts lad! Ya didn't have to come here, but you came here! Something here happened, and we need to know why and the only way we can do it is you figurin this out and me observin!" He says in a tone that is till weird to you. So you tune to your instincts. Something actually feels natural about turning to them here.

"I still don't understand Old Man! No secrets, no lies!" You say and he makes another noise that has you worried.

" From all you have said on this trip a lot may have happened, and whatever this is could be something. It could have been triggered by your adventures. I sense something else in ya, and I don't think it's just a ghost. So I need to know what it is so I can diagnose it. I am a doctor, a scientist- a surgeon like you. If I want to fix it I have to know what's wrong, so I need you to find it. You may feel the ocean, despite us being all the way in land. Or something like the ocean, at least the deep and just as strong. Something with an enormous weight, something deep and something strong. You could feel something like a void- like space. Like nothins there and it feels empty! You could feel- everything! As if you and everything else was one big thing. You could feel a hurricane in ya chest! You could feel a tiny pulse, that comes on as strong from your chest like a hearbeat but something else. I don't know what it is- but there are suspicions I have and this Island has me thinking we maybe able to figure it out." The old man says in a light panic.

"What makes you think this?"

"All you talkin about?"

"Something is at work here- and all ya been through just confirms it with ya standin here. I only had guesses until now." The old man says and he looks at you with both fear and hope.

I'll be honest, I wanted to meet that man that said he was Meerah's cousin. Find out if it was her actual cousin, or if it was a manner of speech about the realtion between the isle and the Eire, I don't know.
By the way, Meerah's dad mentioned someone named Carlan talking about us, but I can't find anything on the archives.

Now that we know that this wasn't old man's doing, we got to find out how the pariah gene ended up in this planet, and how it mutated to have this whole psyker/blank generation deal

options definitely going to affect his psycher abilities,
hoping we can later choose more than the one now as that would also affect our sun's who could later make up different chapter's with specialties for each power
though that would invade in the thousand son's domain but would be cool to have two primarchs who can use the warp effectively

going you way*
damn.
>>
You search inward.

It's like diving into the ocean. You sink and you feel not the pressure, but the freedom of the sea. You feel the life inside and the limitless potential and extreme powerful depth. The feeling is strong. It's an internal strength inside you that rises like the tide.

And as it rises there is a second element, almost distant.

A storm

The spray.

The lightning.

There is something inside so powerful there are echoes. Something ancient and deep. The discomfort of the island actually helps you hone in on it.

"LAD!" You open your eyes and the old man looks a bit scared. It isn't that you are glowing- it's something else . It's like you are the eye of a hurricane. You are also kind of hovering over the ground. The air around your body feels more like the warmth of the ocean of your home, and you are not quite sure - but you test it.

You move towards the old man and he steps back in shock.

"Your soul. I-" Then something of recognition shows in the old man as he puts a hand on you. And he looks like he got his by a lightning bolt. A jolt of recognition.

"Neoth you fool. What have you done." He says and he looks at you.

"What is it?" You ask.

"Facilitation." He says

"What?"

"Facilitation. There are more than a few names for it. It's so much rarer than being a powerful psychic empath and rarer than an actual blank, at least at how you have it. Have you ever noticed how you defy all odds? How those around you are able to just do better? That it feels like those who work with you, or are around you just seem to be able to pull things off? How the tide turns when you are present? How you can manage to accomplish the unachievable? It's you. You empower all those who are with you. I am even empowered by it. You unlock the potential and inner strength of those near you. An infinite ocean of power rises up from you. You are the rising tide. And also the hurricane." He says pointing around you and you slowly drop to the ground.

"C'mon lad. We got a busy day." He says and puts a hand on your shoulder and you nod.
>>
>>5533050

After a tour of the island, the elder is thankful for your meeting. But before you decide to leave, you decide to test this 'facilitation' and you go back to the ship and ask your sons and guard to come with you. They are hesitant, mostly lazy about not wanting to go- but you assure them that they can. Meerah is the first. Then Keanu. Then The rest.

It starts to make sense. They stick closer to you, and you see it. It's a subtle and sneaky as big boy, as gentle as a breeze, and somehow- it overcomes the pariah island influence. You steady those around you. They seem to get into the rhythm of it and the old man nods- knowing what you are doing. A lot makes sense to ya now. After the pariahs meet everyone you notice Meerah talkin to one of em. Maybe they are cousins. So you talk to one of them, and they are. So you wait a beat you leave them a few Doozies for Mokka and ya head back to the ship.

"Ya see it now lad?" The Old Man asks and ya nod.

"Who is Neoth." You ask.

"It's the name of the man who made ya. I think he did some sketchy stuff."

"Sketchier than the lady that -" And the world around you stops and you can see the old man is barely able to do one of his psyker tricks largely because the blanks are not nearby.

"If we investigate this further it's not in front of your sons. We tell not a soul. I suspect ya sons may be good with ya raggin on yer 'mum' but not ya 'da' " He says and he got a point.

"Agree." You say and the world turns back to normal.

You get into the GEV and the chiefs seem interested in some of the plants which they have taken in some pots. You let Gellah take off first then you follow in the GEV. The emerald shoals come faster than you suspect and ya glad ya have a gev, the waters here are so shallow you know why it's not really feasible to get here.

Then there are the rockets.

You are lucky that you spot em and they get denied by Meerah who looks pissed as the rockets fly off a different way.

"HELL OF A GREETING!" Deliah says swinging out to the side of the window doing something that looks like creation of a shield.

"Yana pilot!" You say and she runs over. You decide to try the surfing trick in practical application. Ya jump out the door and get just enough speed to run on the water over to the really weird lookin boat and push away the rocket launcher. They hop out of their boat and are still armed, and you realize there are a lot of these boats and a lot of these people.

"Easy bruddahs we come not to make war!" You say puttin ya hands up.

These are the weirdest people ya have ever seen. They are smaller than any other people you have seen. They look lean, and they are all armed to the teeth.
>>
>>5533051

"Y'ALL DUN GETA JUS FLY OVR HEERE UNINVITED." One of them says in the strange accent you were warned about.

"We want to talk trade. We want to talk peace." You say trying to calm down the situation as Yana flies by and you can barely make out Deliah's rude gesture to the smaller emerald shoals citizens.

"listen ere. Y'all aint ever come this away before! An each and every single time a hyphole or boat or space ship comes by somethin bad happens and we have to go back to the reed forest and geter guns. Then we get slick snake oil salesmen come ovr here wanna to trade but they get us crap for our shine, our desal stills, or last time when I fell for tradin one of our micro reactors for faulty food processers It's nice of yall and bless yer heart for comin out here but we aint buyin and we aint sellin." He says and you get the jist.

"What if we just give you stuff." You ask

"What the hell do you have that we'd want? We got better gevs than ya. An sure, our anti aircraft stuff maybe old and analog but it works if an E M P hit." The one who despite wearing an oversized and goofy hat seems to be their leader says.

"Have you even seen what we have?" You say

"I have seen everything ever salvaged by a scrappa that the dumper clans done leave behind. I am ashamed to call some of the Dumpers Kin." He says and a few of em take their strange hats off.

"We have been cleanin up what the dumpas did for a long time. I really get ya." You say and their looks change a bit.

"Ya'll the ones with the weird drones that go around cleanin stuff up?" The one with the big hat says.

"Aye?" One of them gives you an odd look. They turn and talk among themselves.

"We'll here ya out. We'll have a potluck. Ya bring some food, we'll have nice little chit chat."

"That's it?" It's bizarre .

"Ya. Just bring us some food and we'll talk about it with the boss, though we'd prefer ya bring some fresh food. No can rats." He says and they hop into a few nearby strange lookin boats save one.

"I reckon Zeke wants me to lead y'all back to home. I'll wait for y'all to land that gev and we can take my hoopty" The smaller lady in the hat says

"Hoopty?"

"It's a fan powered hovercraft and the fans in a hoop cage. Hoopty." She says.

"That makes sense." You take your surf board and ride the waves over to you hope, the still floating and not beached GEV. When you get up to it, you see that, thankfully it is floating.
>>
>>5533052

"They want to speak- but they want us to bring food for what they call a potluck." You say and the old man rolls his eyes as everyone else seems as confused as you. Old Man Martin hops out of the GEV with a spear gun and some chum. And just walks over to the woman you were talking to. He makes a few motions and shows something using his data slate the woman makes some motions and she seems to to be makin some disagreeable motions. The old man jogs back to the boat with a smirk.

"They haven't figured out how to properly serve yum shark, they call it curse shark." He says. Hopin through the GEV.

You smile too. Yum shark is the most abundant shark. And while actually properly serving it so it doesn't kill you or taste terrible is a matter of knowing the biology- it isn't too hard to catch. You hop through grabbing a spear gun and hopping into the water towards the shelf stack. You throw out some chum and sure enough a few Yum shark start swimmin out their holes. After a few minutes, you grab a few shark and you head over to the woman the old man and some of the chiefs in tow.

"Are ya'll plannin to kill us? Dem things are poison!" She says and you shake your head

"Nah. You just gotta know how to clean em." You say and she looks skeptical.

"If you can show us how to serve up Curse shark to be edible it would solve the occasional solution of thin pig with the neighbors." She says. You look confused and Old Man Martin does a very severe cringe on his face, which is not as bad as some of the big men. The old man whispers to you

"That means cannibalism mate." And that shakes you to the bone. You wonder the fate of your island if they hadn't figured it out.

The trip out there is strange. The reed jungle, the mangroves, the feeling like you are being watched. The trip is slow, because she is going slow and lookin cautiously. Apparently a lot is goin on.
>>
>>5533055
"Why are they so- small?" Deliah asks.

"Our kind calls them rattlings. Though what they are doing here, is beyond me." Wakatelaho says

"Rattlings?" You ask

"Yeah. They are a strain of humanity." He points out.

"Thats an odd sort of a name." You say

"To be fair your planet has some of the biggest people we have ever met that weren't abhuman. Technically though- with how tall everyone is a biologi magos may write up a note on it and say that your planet is full of abhumans." He says and you give a weird look at that. When you arrive at the main village or camp, it looks different than any you have seen before. It looks like someone made a village out of dumpa scrap. As you get out, you find a piece of solid ground and begin to get to work makin a fire pit, and serve up the shark. After some of the locals come up confused, some of them give you various spices (which you hope aren't made of people) and it doesn't take long for you to get done with it.

The Locals, and you learn they call themselves 'Swamp Folk' or 'Greens' which is even weirder, actually seem a bit helpful since you are serving up so much food. What is odd, is the large amount of food they eat - which shows either they have a truly absurd metabolism, a highly efficient internal track, or some sort of extradimensional stomach. When everyone has eaten, there is little yum shark left for your crew, but they manage. The big men, old man martin and you all have a sit in a strange structure that all of you can barely fit in, but it seems more regal for the Greens.

"So ya serve food, and we learn how to serve up some shark that would normally kill, but made it taste good. Why you comin here stranger." This older man says

>> Come at him honest. Tell him everything that is going on, and that you want everyone on the planet to thrive.

"I am gonna come at ya honest elder. The world we are on is about to change. We got off worlders who are gonna come and set up shop. Normally in this case, our planet would be fine, but some elements may want to reduce what we got. I don't want that. I want this planet to thrive. All of it. I get it. I aint never been here before. My da tells me about it, says he doesn't like sendin people here unaware cause he doesn't wanna start problems. I drove off the slavers, and cleaned up what the dumpahs left. My intentions are simple. I want to keep whats powerful and beautiful about this planet, and I want us all to do well. The rising tide should lift all boats." You say and there elder looks at your lads, then at you.

And then you see it.

They have six digits on each hand and each with green eyes. The Elder after finishing his plate looks at you and pauses. Then makes a simple motion.

"Boy. Yall young. Not gonna lie, you probably are the youngest big man, hell only great man I've ever did see. And ya got all this pretty talk for what ya want. But I aint never seen dem before, and it's been awfully long since ol Chief Kai over yonder paid us visit. Ya'll taught us how to cook that cursed shark up- I'll give ya that, you clever. Clever men tend to try to get it over on us. Now what makes you different?" He asks

"Our father has no ill intent. We have worked with your kind bef-"

"I DON'T RECALL ASKIN YOU A DAMN THING. YOU EVER WORKED WITH GREENS BEFORE? CAUSE IF YA'LL CALL US RATLIN OR KIN I AM GONNA PUT MY BOOT RIGHT WHERE THE SUN WOULDN'T SHINE IF Y'ALL WEREN'T WEARIN THAT FANCY PANTS ARMOR." The Elder goes off almost hopin on the table until you see his likely wife pull him back. You look to the old man and he looks like he halfway behind holdin back a laugh or decidin if he should use his, whatever it is, to demonstrate his skill. You then look to the other big men and Chief Kai lets out a short laugh

"Oh smoke me runnin backwards mate. Ya never got the annual gift this year did ya?" Chief Kai says and the Elder stops for a minute.

"AMONG OTHER INDISCREPENCIES." He says calmin down

"Mate. Listen to the lad, he has a good heart in there. We are offerin to make y'all whole." Chief Kai says and the Elder turns to you, then to Kai, then grins, and you see there are exactly two sets of teeth that were not present, and they are reminicent of fangs on a fang fish.

"Then it's really simple. Y'all want us whole? Y'all want everything equal? He's a big man who's killed a monster right?" The Elder says and Chief Kai looks at him with a smile then looks at you in a way that seems to scream of worry.

"I have slain monsters." You say confidently.

"Fantastic. Old Salty hasn't left here for two de-"
>>
>>5536394

"LAD LEAVE IT OFF." Chief Kai raises his voice in anger for the first time you have ever heard.

"NAH. I WON'T. YALL WANT US WHOLE, I WANT THE WHOLE ASS HEAD OF OL SALTY AND ANY EGGS THEY HAVE." The Elder says and your son asks the question

"What is an Old Salty?"

"Old Salty is the biggest salty croc on De'lormosa. 80 meters long, and 15 meters of that is it's big ugly head. It's got a tail that has huge spikes on it which it can launch out it's tail. The spikes pierce most metal. Cuz there metal. It's as fast as a youngin, it's teeth are metal- just like every other damn freak beast- it can breath frickin fire, and it's hide is so tough that we test weapons against it knowing that the only way a weapon works is if it somehow pisses of Old Salty. Energy Weapons seem to be something that do nothin. And it's our food and it's the reason why our tribe has never gotten as big as the rest." The Elder Says

"Why haven't ya come to me sooner?" You ask

"Oh we came to the big men 15 years ago. We went to the witches ten years ago. We even offered the slavers a few years back but they laughed in our face. Nah. Ya come here, and ya want to help? Ya wanna make us whole? Kill that damn thing, bring me it's eggs so I can eat it's youngins as it ate mine. " The Elder Says. And before any of the other big men say anything

"Bet. Ya should've led with that. Ya have a beast problem, I will solve it." You say and the big men pause

"We need a few minutes." Rawhiri says as a small group follows you from under the structure.

"Ya daft?" Rawhiri asks

"Why did nobody tell me about this?" You ask.

"They brought Old Salty upon themselves. Their ways are different, their cannibalism, their dumpin of bodies, THERE LIVIN HERE IN THE ONLY PLACE WHERE OLD SALTY CAN ACTUALLY REST, has lead to this. Old Salty used to be nomadic. But Old Salty a restin here because the food is easy and plentiful. " Rawhiri says and chief Kai nods.

"It is wrong to help Cannibals when they bring shame and misfortune upon themselves." Chief Kai says, and honestly, it does follow with tradition. Those who eat their brother and family bring awful shame, disease, and often it summons greater predators. However, this is a new age.

"If this fixes us all up, if this is what it takes to make things right- then it shall be." You say with a sigh. And Chief Kai shakes his head.

"And The only one who can make a tribe of cannibals right is a great man. If anyone can pull this off it's you." Chief Kai says patting you on the shoulder. Your sons go with you to your weapons locker, which UR was smart enough to pack for you. When you pull out the weapon your sons are impressed.

"We would like to do this with you. May we assist."

hmm I wrote a lot...

but we should save at least half of the eggs as they have no right to drive old salty's species to extinction as from what Rawhiri has said they invaded and disrupted it's migration route, so they got what they deserved but they have also suffered greatly as a result with being forced into cannibalism to survive from having little food, even if it is a result of their own doing their children shouldn't have to suffer

if anything it seams like it's the fault of the elders of the tribe for how they are doing
may have to work with old man on finding a new area for the salt crocs to grow up and continue their nomadic life style that their mother had to give up as a result of invaders

wonder if the green folk are even native to the world as they have said they have kin with the dumpers
could be a line a dialogue with the old man once koli leaves for the hunt

We're not driving salty to extinction my guess is salty is the best of the best of his kind. I bet there's a lot of salties out there right?

>Old man, can you think we can engineer a habitat for Salty's kind? I'm killing him, but I don't want to cause the crocs to go extinct

Yes, also by doing this you enter into our pact. You work with us as we work with you. Will you raise your own Big Men to join our De'lormosa council, or do we need to supervise you and yours until your clan is ready?
Best to haggle these things here and now.

I have no opinion on what to do with Salty's eggs but support asking Old Man:
